The Conga Room is a nightclub located in the heart of Los Angeles, and it offers VIP bottle service and a variety of Latino dance music. It's owned by some famous names and is a popular spot for nightlife in the city.
One of the best spots in downtown Los Angeles especially if you know how to dance salsa or wanna learn. Get your collared shirt and dancing shoes on because this place is a great spot to meet people. I’d definitely go back here again and shoutout to the host Joe for a great experience!
Rodrigo “ — Google review
I love coming to this place. They always have great music and I enjoy the separate areas for dancing. Plus I like when the dancers do their 3 minute performance. I would rather not have individuals with drinks on the dance floor only because there is always spills ( hazardous, specially with 5 inch heels)
J N — Google review
This is great if you want to dance to Salsa, hip-hop, and Latin. I felt like I was at a night club in Mexico since the majority of the people were Mexican. The place has three rooms. One of the small room was for hip-hop. The second room is a restaurant, but after 11:45 pm on Saturday, it becomes a salsa dance floor. The main floor plays Latin music on Saturday night . This is a great place if you come with a group. I don't recommend this place for single guys who are looking for girls since most of the girls are taken. The restaurant has a small menu, but the food is really good.

Cover fee $25. One huge flooor Drinks are pricey. Id say about $20. For drinks ran me about $100 Outside patio for smoking. Music is good. Vibes are really good. Bouncer dont play around. If you uber they drop you off on the back side. By the yard house. You'd have to walk around or ask and you wont miss it.
Dan S — Google review
I really like that they have many security guys. DJs were not too bad but all the good new music we have and they have to go all the way back to old reggaetons, c'mon now.... They mixed cumbia and rock en español which were good but can u guys please make it little less long period in each genre? Gets boring to listen to same type of songs over and over. Definitely better than Mayan Theater club.
Madam D — Google review
Came here with the boys and had a blast. Great Spanish music and they have an outside patio in case you want to grab some air.

This is my club and that’s it !!! Music is amazing I go to many live concerts too , aquí está el sabor latino !!!

Went on a Saturday and surprisingly there was no line to get in. Cover was $20 (card or cash) and coat check is $6 (cash only). The vibe was amazing.

Bar
Restaurant
Capri Club is a trendy retro neighborhood bar that serves strong craft cocktails and Italian bar food bites. The atmosphere is top-notch, but it can get crowded even on weeknights, so getting a table might be a challenge. The interior has a retro style with limited seating, and it can get quite loud inside. They also offer sidewalk tables for outdoor seating. The menu includes small plates and pasta dishes, and the cocktails are highly recommended.
I like the location of this bar. They keep the exterior and inside of the bar clean. I like the friendly bar servers. I love the mural and the portrait drawings that you see around the walls. I enjoyed some delicious drink while we visited here before dinner reservation elsewhere. Definitely want to come back for the vegan lasagna.
B R — Google review
EDIT: I feel it’s necessary to disclose I feel the need to update my review every few months because I come here so often. This place is always busy, even on weeknights. It gets PACKED on weekends. That’s a testament to the beverages and service. Drinks menu rotates so there’s always something new and interesting to try. You can also always get a classic cocktail or frozen special, aside from their new craft offerings. A good selection of beer and wine are also served here. There is a regular food menu with larger portions from opening until about 9 or 10 pm when they switch to their late-night menu which consists of small plates to pick at. Theres plenty of heat lamps outside for when it’s cold so you can still sit comfortably during the winter. My favorite things to order for food are the Little Gem Caesar (Under a blanket of parm- best I’ve found in LA so far!), meatballs, tuna stuffed pepper, and tiramisu. Fernet lovers and Argentinians rejoice! They’ve got like ten different kinds here.
A Q — Google review
SO DELICIOUS. The food was all bomb. We legit ordered almost everything on the menu. Lovely vibes. Super crowded though especially weekends.
Tina C — Google review
Absolutely love the atmosphere at The Capri Club. It feels like you've stepped back in time into the perfect little Italian aperitivo bar. The retro decor with the red booths and wood paneling is spot on, creating a vibe that's both effortlessly cool and super inviting. The drinks are the real star here. You HAVE to try the frozen Negroni - it's a game-changer and lives up to all the hype. All the cocktails we tried were fantastic, perfectly balanced and showed real craftsmanship. What really made our visit special was the incredible team. A huge shoutout to Jose, Caitlin, and everyone else working – they were all so welcoming and made sure we had a great experience. Just a heads up – the place has a real buzz and gets packed, especially on weekends. They don't take reservations, so it's best to get there a bit early to snag a table either inside or on their patio. The energy is electric, though! Overall, Capri Club is a top-notch spot for a date night or catching up with a friend. Great drinks, amazing staff, and an unbeatable atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
Blaze D — Google review
Capri club is a great place for cocktails but not so much for food. They serve tapas style dishes that all sound great but some of the dishes lacked a lot of flavor. The tuna crudo was really good, the meatballs were okay. But the pasta balls and the polenta were extremely bland. They do make excellent cocktails though and the atmosphere is great. The place was packed both inside and outside. Will return for drinks but likely skip the food.
Sara M — Google review
Cool new cocktail bar. Inside has retro style. Only a few tables and booths. They fill up fast. It can get really loud inside too. There's also some tables on the sidewalk. They had nice holiday decorations when I went. Cocktails are tasty. They also have some small plates and pasta on the menu but I didn't get to try those. Service was good. Order at the bar. There's street parking but you might have to walk a block or two.
Jeff C — Google review
Great drinks. Fair prices. Fun atmosphere. It's all very cohesive and a nice place to hang out.
Jim M — Google review
This is a pretty cool hang out spot in Eagle Rock. The interior design is nice but fills up extremely fast on weekends (open seating so first come first serve). The food is a bit expensive for what you get but the pasta ball we got was tasty. The sour cherry spritz came with an olive as a garnish but wasn’t really my type of drink. Spritzes are $10 before 6pm!

Everson Royce Bar is a stylish cocktail destination in the Arts District, featuring a backlit bar and comfortable banquette seating. The venue offers an elegant yet lively atmosphere, with a neon sign at the entrance setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Whether you choose to sit inside or on the expansive outdoor patio, you can indulge in some of Los Angeles' finest cocktails, crafted with inspiration from local flavors and seasonal produce.
Great patio for big groups. You don’t have to worry about splitting the bill! Every one can get their own tabs. The waiter/serving staff are always on the move making sure everyone is satisfied with their order or if they’re ready to order more. Great in the summer time. Great happy hour specials
Judith ( — Google review
Came and met friends here the other day for happy hour. The hosts and the bartenders are very welcoming and so is the staff. Everyone is very helpful and pleasant. Especially when we come in with someone in a wheelchair and they have to set tables up. We were very appreciative. The food was bar food. A little disappointed on taste of the drinks and the food but we enjoyed the atmosphere and music and the personality of our server. We would definitely give it a second chance.
Jeanelle J — Google review
Came here for a quick drink and got the Pineapple Daiquiri. Really enjoyed this rendition on the Daiquiri as it added a sweet acidity without being too much. We came here early in the day so not busy at all but would have loved to stay a bit longer. Nice bar on the inside and a patio on the back.
Sky T — Google review
the burger and fries were fine but was a decent deal for the happy hour. the chipotle dip the fries came with was really good. also got the soundcloud celebrity happy hour drink and that was good.
Gabrielle S — Google review
Found this bar after trying to go to other spots in DTLA. I’m glad the other places didn’t work out because everything was great here. Drinks were amazing, the food was really good with multiple options for different diets. The ambiance was chill but lively. There’s also a large patio area that is perfect for large groups. And drinks were reasonably priced whether you get a classic or a frozen drink.
Kia R — Google review
I went to this spot last night on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The host, bartender and staff on the floor were kind and quick to assist. Blake was exceptional making suggestions on the menu and getting our food out quickly. I really enjoyed that you could customize your espresso martini.

Kind of in a no man's land part of DTLA, but great vibes, cocktails and a very simple but stunning burger.

Night club
AVALON Hollywood & Bardot is a historic nightclub located on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street. The venue, which opened in 1927, has hosted famous acts such as the Beatles and modern DJs like Tiesto and Skrillex. It was one of the first clubs in Los Angeles to embrace dance music. AVALON offers a mega-club experience with events like Control on Fridays and Avalon on Saturdays featuring renowned artists from various electronic music genres.
Great place architectural design is nice. The speakers sound great. Their lighting and laser shows are awesome. Their drinks are good, not too expensive and they have such beautiful female staff. Lol Each shows different but always a great time.
M R — Google review
There was a good party inside. Great music, the bartenders looked pretty, the club was not too full either. The entrance price was fine considering the place.
Andrei P — Google review
Went to see Joyryde here. Pretty cool club. It has a balcony and two bars on the lower floor. You dont really get too bad of a view of the stage, so for live show venues you can't go wrong. You're going to have to pay for parking anywhere around here plan on spending at least 20 bucks on parking. Cool venue though.
Chad P — Google review
Great vibe, nice music except of one entitled bar tender. She decided to not service because we did not tip her for servicing us beer. I would have accepted refusal of service if it is done for any other reason but tipping or not should not become mandatory. It should be based solely on level of service and attitude displayed. This is how good business lose valuable customers.
Ramnath K — Google review
Wow! What a venue and staff! We hosted an event at the Avalon this past Friday and it truly was the best our company has ever thrown. We host a large meeting every January to kickoff the new year with our sales team and the Avalon was the perfect place and met all our needs. Mel, the events manager, was absolutely a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We had many changes and questions, some even very last minute, and Mel and her team were always quick to answer and help direct us to the best options to fit our needs. The production was amazing! Part of the package we got we were able to utilize all the screens they have and it was incredibly impressive. Their production team is top notch and also very accommodating to all our requests. The day of staff was super professional and took care of all our needs. The food was amazing and we got to meet the chef who you could tell was passionate about his craft. If you’re planning a meeting and want to wow your guests, I highly recommend the Avalon. Big thanks to Mel and her team for helping us pull off such a successful event. It will be hard to top next year and we will absolutely be back.

Love coming here for emo nite! Always such a fun night! I'm getting old, but I will keep coming till I can't hang anymore!
Carlos M — Google review
Amazing venue!!! Definitely one of my top ones in Hollywood! Great vibe, good drinks, friendly staff, amazing sound, big enough patio, love when they open the second level. Overall great place to go dance it up!
Nattaly M — Google review
Small intimate venue. Limited space resulted in people fighting over getting a view or even into the room where the performances were. The event was oversold given the small size of the Bardot. However, the venue itself was great and I loved having a full menu for food as well as drinks. I'd go back to the venue again and just hope they don't oversell it

Night club
Sound Nightclub in Hollywood is a vibrant and energetic spot known for its splashy DJ-fueled atmosphere, rotating art installations, and street-food-inspired bites. The venue offers an intimate setting with dimly lit walls and carefully decorated floors, including VIP areas for bottle service events. It hosts various parties featuring EDM genres like house, deep house, techno, progressive, and industrial house music.
Our go to for any DJ Events. I wanted to congratulate the security agents at the entrance. Although I do not know any of them, I find hem extremely kind and super professional. Inside the club is insane. The soundsystem is wonderful and we always have a great time. For drinks, expect price points similar at other places in the area.

Beautiful club, clean bathrooms, great sound, amazing DJs the night we went (Ferreck Dawn, Kai Song) and the light show was so well done like Vegas level light show. It got super packed towards the end of the night which was annoying but we also expected it. We used the Discotech app to get on the guest list for the free before 11 option.
Danshelle J — Google review
Love the ambience of this place, went there for the first time yesterday. Women’s bathroom is small but line went pretty fast yesterday but it was also a Wednesday night. Love the decor on the dance floor, love the decore in the outside section. The bartenders by the bathroom were super nice. It was house music night, you get rude and nice people at all rave events. It was pretty hot on the dance floor but it was nice they had outdoor seating to just chill and chat with friends. Definitely will be coming here more often. I was able to find meter street parking.
Tina — Google review
Cool club in Hollywood…. Wait time wasn’t too bad… super friendly staff … The drinks are cheaper than other clubs in HollyWood for sure, and the bartenders are super cool and nice… The tall white, dude, named Jedi saved the day, because my girlfriend wasn’t feeling so well and he got her a free cup of water and a little shot of ginger ale…. It’s a little things that count, especially when you go to a big Metropolitan area, and see random acts of kindness.…. I live in San Diego, and most of the bartenders have attitudes and chips on their shoulders… It was nice to see that this dude was cool, and respectable… And didn’t try to hit on my girlfriend, like most male bartenders do. every note has a different DJ, so check out the schedule, and get there early for discounts! Also, they don’t serve Jack Daniels there sadly
John T — Google review
The staff was so amazing and accommodating to a member of our party who had a disability. We didn’t know what to expect when we arrived and were ready to go home but they helped us enjoy the night in safety and we had so much fun. Xoxo
Ciuneh G — Google review
This is hands down one of the worst nightclubs I’ve ever been to. The security guards and staff walk around with inflated egos and zero professionalism. There’s no real quality control here – they’ll put their hands on you even if you’re completely sober and following directions. One security guard actually grabbed my wrist as I was leaving the section I was told to leave (so yes, I was behaving properly BECAUSE I WAS LEAVING). I only entered that section because I was following my friends and the manager gave us the okay… When I told her not to touch me, she got upset and retaliated by refusing to give me and my friends our wristbands, claiming I was being “rude.” Since when is standing up for your own personal boundaries rude? Ridiculous. That must’ve really reached got to her and she decided to have a FAT power trip. It was just hideous behavior lol On top of that, the actual dance floor was a letdown — about 90% men, so if you’re looking for a complete sausage fest, this is the spot. Otherwise, save your time and money. The staff here act like they’re running the hottest club in the city 😭 We had more fun at other spots in the area after
Courtney D — Google review
So grateful for this place. I came here once to celebrate my 25th birthday back in 2015 before they did the renovation. Let’s say I had no clue where I was and was just going with friends who were local. Fast forward I moved to LA 2 years ago and came for a fun night of dancing and saw the shark disco 🪩 that took me back to that day I was there to celebrate my birthday but It looked nothing like then. Way more beautiful than I had remembered but this time I went out in the patio and let’s just say I’m incredibly grateful to have this club in my hood. Hopefully someday I get to spin there and be part of the community that I feel so lucky to have just 12 minutes away from my place. Keep it up Sound. Thank you also for the comp tickets I get every now and then. It’s the icing on the cake. 🙏🏽
Mitch H — Google review
Though I don’t generally love the club scene, I come to Sound often since many of my fav edm artists play here regularly. The sound system is quality stuff👌🏼(don’t forget your ear protection, folks!). Their lighting fixtures/stage lighting is cool enough to keep you entertained when you’re not feeling the jams as much. Since Sound draws a lot of artist fans as opposed to only stereotypical club-goers, attire can tend towards casual/comfy. Bartenders range greatly from super friendly to super stand-off-ish. When I encountered a barfer on the dance floor(not cool, Guy), the staff cleaned it up in a relatively timely matter 🙏🏼

The Ruby Fruit, located in Silver Lake, is LA's first lesbian bar in about a decade. The venue offers a lively atmosphere with partying that spills out onto the sidewalk and parking lot. The establishment also serves excellent diner classics, making it an ideal spot for lunchtime when the comfort-food menu is extensive. The space features bright pink walls and blonde wood, creating a casual and stylish ambiance suitable for various occasions, from casual drinks to big dinners.
Very cute bar in Silver Lake! Lesbian friendly which is such a treat - wish there was more places like this around! We watched the WNBA Playoffs whilst enjoying beers, French fries and grilled chicken sandwich- heaven!

Loved this place. Stopped in for a late lunch, shared the popcorn chicken with friends and had an ice tea for myself. Such a fun atmosphere and lots of love for a fun lesbian/queer establishment where there’s 1) food and 2) lots of non-alcoholic drinks. Amazing and calm dining experience with enjoyable food and cocktails. I am thankful for this space as there is not many like it. Food is fresh and delicious. I wouldn’t go here super hungry but it’s a great place for a romantic or lunch dates. The salad was sooooo good! Highly recommend with meat and not! I didn’t know the vegan popcorn chicken was mushroom 😭 personally not a mushroom fan. They felt a lil greasy but still yummy paired with the shoestring fries. Vegan dog was great as well and would order again. My fiancé enjoyed the wings and the chicken in the salad. We both agree that the drinks could be a lil heavier (lol bad or good, not sure) but they are still well crafted cocktails and will be coming back again for the drinks and food! The bar and atmosphere itself is CUTE! Enjoy the colors and music going on. Not loud and was able to enjoy conversation with my girl. They have games as well to help newer friends or couples break the ice. Great place for friends, lovers, and going alone. For larger groups of like 5+ I think it would be respectful to call ahead of time as the space is smallish and there isn’t many large group tables This is the echo park area and you just gotta take that with a grain of salt. The space is not very large, but the staff are courteous and the programming is pleasant. I went on a Saturday and there was open bingo (with no cover required), with some drag performances during the break. Would definitely recommend to others. One of the most enjoyable lesbian bar experiences I’ve had so far!

Chose to bring 20 friends on Sunday afternoon to celebrate my birthday and could not have been MORE pleased and thankful for the whole experience. The atmosphere, the service, the food and the wine and drinks were all so phenomenal. We were given such lovely treatment and it ended up being one of my happiest birthdays in recent memory all because my friends and I were so warmly welcomed and encouraged to make ourselves at home. Get yourself the fries, the hot dog, and the pimento cheese and house made crackers and bring your friends and get a yummy bottle of ANYTHING. (Shoutout to the house sangria!) LOVE IT! Just the best experience and thank you SO much!!

Absolutely ecstatic to find a femme-centric queer space! Even more exciting is that is actually really good in multiple aspects. The environment is chic and beautifully decorated and the food was wonderful. Can’t wait to come back and I hope more people find this place. Big bonus in LA: PARKING. ETA: I went during lunch time on a weekday which may have contributed to the ease in parking and welcoming feel of the venue. Will add info once I have a chance to visit on a busy night.

Ernest was amazing and helped me very quickly. He broke to me everything I needed to know and the conversion rate is the best in L.A!
QueenZA — Google review
I thought the reviews were biased or asked by the staff. But I can confirm they are genuine. Conversion rates are quite fair. The guy who helped me was very fast and super friendly willing to answer all my questions. He even gave me some tips for when I might travel to a country with a rarer currency. Not going anywhere else after this experience.

This place is awesome and really does have excellent exchange rates. It would have saved me a lot of money if I had known about it years ago for getting currency ahead of time. It certainly beats dealing with my banks, waiting for the money and being at the mercy of their exorbitant rates or going overseas, paying the ridiculous ATM fees PLUS getting an exchange rate in the bank's favor. The gentleman who helped me (Ernest) was really friendly and professional as well.

I've been here a few times and the young ladies that work the window are always helpful and very nice. I've found that this place comes in handy for getting currency as well as exchanging it back to USD if you didn't spend it all on your trip. Thank you guys!

Called on a Saturday to see if they had romanian currency available. They took my number and told me they would call if they could get it on Monday as their wholesalers were closed.. (As did with a couple other places I called). Monday am I got a call from lacurrency saying they could get romanian lei the same day. And for a good exchange rate. I appreciated the follow up. None of the other places I called returned my inquiry. Great service within a day! The location was super convenient and hours were good as well. Service was quick & efficient. Now I’m ready for my trip and I don’t have to hassle with exchange when I arrive! Whoot! They have euros and other frequent currency in stock all the time. I will use them again.

Step into the Let's Go! Disco & Cocktail Club, a trendy lounge in the Arts District that captures the essence of 70s nostalgia. This spot offers expertly crafted house drinks and a lively atmosphere with DJs spinning everything from lo-fi hip-hop to Italo disco hits. The intimate dancefloor fills up on weekends as guests revel under glittering disco balls, embracing the nationwide disco aperitivo trend.
Stylish bar with a retro disco chic inspired decor. Decent amount of seating inside with a small dancefloor area. Came in for their monthly City Pop (Japanese 70s and 80s music) night. Check their IG and website for upcoming events. Drinks are good. Tasty cocktails with a few beers. They have happy hour drink specials until 9. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street parking but you might have to walk a block or two. Might be easier to get a pay lot nearby.
Jeff C — Google review
I’m coming from OC and I’ve been across the street to eighty two and I was happy to know this spot was right across so I could hit up both. Since it was new years and no cover charge I was so stocked to go. The wait felt long but I think because midnight was approaching quickly. I made it in just in time. The wait at the bar was not bad and the bartender that attended me was very quick and friendly. I loved the vibe and the music was a mix of everything. They even handed out free champagne to toast! I’m only really bummed out they closed shortly after midnight. I wasn’t expecting such an abrupt ending on New Year’s Eve. Maybe I would go again if I happen to be in the area but not for New Year’s Eve.
Claudia D — Google review
After a short wait in line, we stumbled into the Let’s Go! One rainy Saturday night. The vibes were right, a buzz filled the air as people everywhere were enjoying the sounds. We must’ve walked in on an 80s block because for the hour or so that we were there they seemed to be playing more 80s than 70s disco, but it was all good the DJ was playing bangers that had the room singing like they were down the street at Max Karaoke. We all grabbed drinks and proceeded to find a space on the wildly crowded dance floor. Maybe 30 minutes into the 80s block is when the DJ slipped back into the 70s with some classic Whitney Houston. As we left, we noticed there was no line and we were just about to take a slice to go but then it started torrential downpouring so we decided to cut our losses and head to the car. We’ll definitely be back to get more of our 70s disco fix in.
Julio G — Google review
The Let's Go is connected to De La Nonna, so for an optimal experience, we reserved a reservation to eat at De La Nonna at 2:45pm, after the meal we had a 15 minute wait before Let's Go opened. Which was ideal. The space is tight and fills up quickly. The crowd is loose and fun loving, but definitely getting there early is a much better fit than waiting in line. This place does get busy, do expect a wait. Drinks were smooth and refreshing, they even have a legit zero alcohol spritzer. So enjoy the vibes, but do come early.
Eric C — Google review
Love this lil spot! If you wanna dance this is the place. Great music from Citypop to disco. Unfortunately some nights the bartenders attitude have been off.. like I'm sorry but what did do to U? 🙄 but at least they make great drinks 🤷
Gian N — Google review
Love the look of this place. It kinda felt like if Barbie had a disco room it would look like The Let’s Go! The bar is adjoined to De La Nonna and shares the same entrance from the street. We arrived a little after 9 and there was a line outside. It took about 15 minutes to get in. In typical LA form, it wasn’t packed inside yet they wanted a queue to form outside probably for optics. There are some places to sit or stand around while letting your drink rest on something. Cocktails are $17. People do dance and it IS disco music. They actually play records here too. By the way, this cocktail lounge made it to Esquire’s best bars in America 2023 list.
T G — Google review
Disco themed lounge. A great bar in the arts district with a disco decor, but not a dance club. DJ was terrible; you never saw so many people who wanted to dance, but with no one dancing because of the poor music choice. Constant droning, heartless house and techno beat with only a rare recognizable hit song with lyrics thrown in. You will be disappointed if you're expecting to dance to some disco hits.
Van C — Google review
First time walking into this place and had a very unpleasant experience. This asian bartender was very rude for no reason and as I asked her why she acted like that she pretended she didn’t know what I was talking about. One of her coworkers apologized to me on her behalf instead. I’ve never been treated like this at any other place and this was a terrible service. Started the night on a bad energy thanks to her. Not recommending this place to anyone.

Traditional American restaurant
Musso & Frank Grill, Hollywood's oldest eatery, has been serving classic American fare and martinis to diners in its iconic red booths since 1919. The restaurant's ambiance is steeped in history, with large dining rooms adorned with Hollywood memorabilia, worn leather booths, forest murals, and hanging lamps. Legends abound at Musso & Frank Grill; it was a favorite spot for screen legends like Charlie Chaplin, Greta Garbo, and Marilyn Monroe.
Musso & Frank is my go-to for a high class dining experience for any celebration. Impeccable service, old Hollywood atmosphere, and food served to perfection. I always get the Prime Rib w/ Baked potato ($69). Another person in my party got the Filet Mignon (perfection), and another got the Veal Schnitzel. The birthday boy at our table got the special, chicken pot pie! Yes, there are daily/nightly specials. And yes, if you go here for your birthday or special occasion, expect to be treated like royalty! They even give you a cute Musso & Frank card, and a brownie sundae! Valet is $15. You need to make a reservation for this place. Even so, they were able to modify ours when we added one more person. Home to the first phone booth in LA. Get the Lemon Drop martini. Trust me.

I had dinner here with my family and was absolutely mesmerized by the whole experience. Everything felt so classic—from the timeless setup to the elegant uniforms of the staff. The menu offered a wide variety of options. We ordered the New York steak, chicken parmigiana, and two pasta dishes. The steak was incredibly tender, and the pasta with lamb ragù was outstanding. Despite the restaurant being fully packed, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive and professional—truly top-notch. An amazing dinner experience all around!

Musso & Frank Musso & Frank is an institution and it really feels like it as well. The restaurant is steeped in Hollywood history and has featured in so many films. The host was really sweet when I told him I was visiting from Australia and excited to experience the iconic restaurant. The service is proper old school, waiters in jackets, white table clothes, the whole thing. It’s extraordinary. I ordered the famed original fettuccine Alfredo and the classic prawn cocktail. The Alfredo was so good and the sauce on the prawn cocktail was excellent. The menu feels very nostalgic with dishes that have stood through the ages. The cocktails are strong that’s for sure, one was more than enough for a buzz. Restaurant offers valet parking as well.

Been going here for thirty plus years. What I love about this place is that it stays true to its clients and its rich history. This is the oldest restaurant in Hollywood. Been around since 1919. Steaks have always been phenomenal. But there are a few hidden gems. Like the house salad with avocado. If your not a fan of avocado than probably not for you. The French onion augratin is the best I have ever had. The prime rib is also fantastic and if you are very polite and ask the chef for a bone in cut and then have it kissed by the mesquite grill. Well you can thank me later. I also ask for the sourdough bread to be toasted on the grill not the toaster oven but the mesquite grill. Ask for a side of aujus to pair. So incredibly delicious here. And who knows, you may even run into a celebrity or two. Highly recommend this place.

Ambiance, food and service are fantastic. There aren't many of these institutions left and I'm sure glad this has stuck around. There are two or three steakhouses that has better steaks but it's still up there, and the ambiance can't be beat! I ordered the sand dabs, cream of spinach, and the rib eye steak medium rare, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. My original order was going to be prime rib however they ran out by the time of my reservations. IG: kay_okay_eat

Musso and Franks is an LA staple for a reason. Incredible food, storied history, and fantastic service. It’s a slice of Hollywood that you just can’t beat. It’s pricey but it’s such a treat. Highly recommend! This trip our waiter was Robert and he was so lovely. Kind and very attentive! He made the experience that much more enjoyable for us and two of our guests who were visiting from England. A dinner we won’t soon forget! Thanks Robert!

Our last night in L.A. looking for somewhere special for our anniversary. We had a very enjoyable experience at Musso & Frank. The host kindly led us to his favorite "special" booth which allowed us to watch the entire scene inside, and it was a scene. The level of service is uniquy courteous, it is clear they take it seriously while maintaining a personable touch. Of course the food was outstanding as well but what matters here is the overall experience. Thank you to our host and servers for a memorable evening.
Ken — Google review
It’s not a bad review it’s more about providing information to other naive Aussies. If you want a decent steak avoid the Prime Rib of Beef cause it’s just a roast that they will sear to your liking. And the waiter will recommend it as they have already roasted that piece of meat so need to use it up. If you want a break between entre and main then tell them when ordering. Id ordered a white wine to pair with the entre and a red with the main. The main came out before id finished the white. They are all about turning over tables. Even though there is no time limit mentioned anywhere when booking individuals have 90 minutes. Break it down French onion soup - nice enough Prime Rib of Beef - rare roast with over cooked cap and undercooked baked potato. Underwhelming. Key lime pie - too rich. Id say two spoons and done. Wine didn’t justify the $26 AUD per glass. Limoncello didn’t justify the $26 AUD per shot. $250 AUD for one person before tip and I’m really disappointed. High expectations seriously not met. But in saying that classic historic restaurant and if you have the cash a must do. Id just go in with lower expectations and order less.

The menu offers New American fare with diverse ingredients like chiles, seasonal fruits, and exotic herbs, creating unique dishes that leave diners impressed with their originality.
Excellent experience. The food was fantastic and the portions were very generous. Highly recommend the duck fried rice, the kale salad was great. Their bar scene and cocktails are amazing. Very much a vibe. Seating outdoors is preferred and they have nice heat lamps to keep you warm. Very very cool place, awesome food, and excellent people watching

The vibe is energetic and fun. Food is delicious! The server is also helpful when we need some suggestions. We are seated in outdoor patio and it was lovely with lighting decorations. The cheese burger is very juicy and delicious. The lavender margarita is great too. Pistachio gelato is on the sweeter side but it’s also tasty. I hope they would have more choices in desserts. I would recommend to come here for friend gathering or date either for lunch or dinner.
Poppy — Google review
Laurel Hardware hits the sweet spot: stylish without trying too hard, a little romantic without being precious, and reliably good every time. The outdoor dining area is the crown jewel—lush, candlelit, and somehow always the right temperature (or at least it feels that way after a cocktail). It’s a great spot for a date or for catching up with friends who still care about the scene but don’t need to scream over a DJ. The food? Good to very good—exactly what it should be. Not chasing Michelin stars, but not phoning it in either. You’ll find something you like, and it will land just right with a crisp drink in hand. The cocktails are strong, the service is smooth, and the crowd is exactly what you’d expect in this part of town: good-looking but not insufferable. It’s a five-star spot not because it’s redefining cuisine, but because it delivers what it promises: a fun, stylish, solid night out. You leave feeling like the evening went off without a hitch—and sometimes, that’s the best kind of luxury.
Paul M — Google review
The name is a holdover from the previous business at this location which was a hardware store. They kept the original facade and renovated the interior to have this industrial moody vibe. They also have a very nice outdoor patio in yeh back. As for the food we had some pizza and pasta. To me the pizza was the winner and had a nice sourdough base (chewy yet had density). Our waitress was also extremely friendly. Price was average for the area and worth it.
Joey C — Google review
A fixture in the LA food scene that is a really cool space that used to be a hardware store. Try to get the back patio for dinner since it’s super romantic with all the hanging lights and a cool space. Inside is nice too but a little too dim compared to the outside. Overall, I thought the food was good and well priced and great to share with a group. Some highlights for me was the Burrata, Chicken Wings and their Pizza. The Pasta was good too and freshly made. Service was friendly and would come back!
Sky T — Google review
Duck fried rice is the best! The vibe outdoor is beautiful. When we first arrived, the hostess kept trying to seat the three of us at a spot that was clearly too small—basically a table meant for two. We had to repeatedly ask to be moved to a proper table several times, which started the experience off on the wrong note. Other than that, everything else was fine, but honestly, the restaurant didn’t feel particularly worth a return visit. The portions and flavor just didn’t stand out compared to the price and reputation. The only dish we truly enjoyed was the duck fried rice, which was delicious. Overall, it was an okay experience, but not a place I’d rush back to.
J S — Google review
Worth the hype. Menu seemed a little lackluster at first glance, but every item blew us away. Started with the Crispy Rice Salad to share - star of the show. Easily one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten. Amazing balance of crunch, heat, acid, and sweetness. No notes. Unexpected favorite entree, the squash pizza. The pasta did not disappoint - huge portions & excited to take home a portion. The burger was not anything to phone home about, but good. The cheese/butter sauce was kind of weird & very loose. Got a bottle of Pinot Noir & the juice box Margarita, can’t complain. Gave the service a 4, primarily because I had to get the host’s attention upon arrival & they were very insistent about the 90-minute limit. It was enforced by the host, the woman who walked us to the table, and the waitress. Atmosphere was a little confusing with a more casual happy hour happening parallel to a nice restaurant, but not a big deal. Overall great dinner & would come back for the salad everyday if I could.
Megan F — Google review
Laurel Hardware is the kind of place where you walk in thinking you’re just here for dinner, and walk out wondering if you should send the chef a thank-you card and maybe a Spotify playlist. Let’s start with the short rib. Good. Lord. This thing was so tender I think it apologized as I cut into it. Rich, fall-apart perfection. Like if a pot roast won the lottery and moved to West Hollywood. I legit stared at it for a few seconds in silence before my first bite, just to pay my respects. The chicken wing? Honestly, I don’t know what kind of poultry this came from, but it had main character energy. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned like it has secrets. I would trust this wing with my social security number. Now let’s talk about the truffle fries. These fries were so good I considered proposing. They came out hot, crispy, and truffle-y in a way that felt both luxurious and slightly illegal. Each bite made me feel like I should be wearing a silk robe and speaking in an accent I don’t actually have. Atmosphere? Perfect. It’s like a Restoration Hardware catalog had a love child with a speakeasy. You come for the food, you stay because you got emotionally attached to a rib. Laurel Hardware: 10/10 would eat again, cry again, and fight someone over the last truffle fry.

Esters Wine Shop & Bar is a stylish establishment in downtown Santa Monica, housed in an Art Deco building. It offers a wide selection of over 200 wines, craft beers, specialty imports, and premium spirits. The ambiance is inviting with ample seating and beautiful lighting. The highlight is the floor-to-ceiling shelves stocked with bottles from around the world.
It was pretty packed on a Saturday night but we were still seated very quickly, for a drink before a dinner elsewhere. Honestly though, we both wished we had just stayed because we had such a great time. They have a deep wine list and are ready to make a great recommendation. They know a lot about the wines and we ended up trying 4 whites with a few we'd never even heard of. They also had a food menu that I'm still thinking about. The focaccia was really good and the cheeses were a perfect pairing. Next time we're in Santa Monica, we'll be back!

If I could give 100 stars I would… Ester’s Wine Bar is an absolute gem—easily one of the most incredible spots in town. The ambiance is effortlessly chic, the wine selection is top-tier, and every dish that comes out of the kitchen is downright divine. But what truly sets Ester’s apart is the people: the servers are warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do, making every visit feel like a special occasion. And the owner? A class act—deeply involved, endlessly welcoming, and clearly committed to building community through hospitality. Do yourself a favor and support this phenomenal local treasure—you’ll be hooked from your first sip.
Adam A — Google review
Overpriced, Utterly Disappointing Picnic We ordered a veggie box and a charcuterie/cheese box from Ester’s for an outdoor picnic, and what we got was shocking: two tiny, sad boxes that looked nothing like the generous online photos, for an astounding total of $120 after tax and tip. The $32 “veggie box” was mostly cucumbers and tomatoes, served with butter, instead of the green goddess and sauce rouille in the description and photos. The $56 meat/cheese box was sparse and poorly packed. It felt like eating sad scraps, not a special picnic—especially for this price. If you want to overpay for disappointment and ruin your picnic dreams, go for it. Otherwise, learn from our mistake and skip Ester’s for picnic or takeaway. We could have gotten something both much nicer and more substantial for under $50 by just picking up from a grocery store like Bristol Farms. What a bummer.

SO good I forgot to take pictures of everything I ate lmao! What an exquisite place to dine. I happen to know one of the chefs, and wanted to check out where they worked! It’s hard to know where to begin. The logo is adorable and the ambiance alone is worth going for. It has a casual yet elegant feel, without being elitist or exclusionary. The staff is SO friendly, too. I frankly didn’t know what a lot of the menu was, and the way it was explained was kind and compassionate :] Another interesting thing to note: in addition to being into wine, they are REALLY into cheeses here. The owner is passionate about sustainability, too! Apparently a lot of cheese isn’t even vegetarian: they still use the stomach lining of a calf to process it, which I didn’t know. But Esters has a wonderful selection of true vegetarian cheese that was sustainably made and sourced. Everything on the menu was! Honestly I had a LOT of different items and I recommend them all. The almonds, the focaccia, all the different cheeses that came with a small charcuterie board! I had the gnocchi which was just exquisite. I didn’t know gnocchi could be so light and fluffy! I usually make my own, but I make it very dense. I’ve also never had better oysters in my entire life. NO grit, not even slightly. DELICIOUS. The flavor profiles were phenomenal. The fruit and jams paired with the cheeses ruled; the entire gnocchi from the sauce and spices to the pasta itself was exquisite; the servers also had PHENOMENAL wine pairing recommendations. If you like a fun and casual (yet exquisite) dining experience that focuses on ethical and sustainable dishes, you will be right at home at Esters. I know I’ll definitely be back :]

Esters is consistently good. Food and beverages are always great. They also have a generous Happy Hour schedule. And love the convenient Santa Monica location. Parking is usually easy if you come on the early side.

Absolutely wonderful experience at Ester's. From the moment you walk in, the staff is very friendly and approachable. The food was top notch. Probably the best fish dish I've ever had! The wine recommendations were on point and our glasses were never empty.

I recently joined friends for lunch at Esters and found it to be a super cool spot to meet with friends in Santa Monica. There is a large bar in the center of the restaurant, lots of small tables and a nice outdoor patio. They have one of the largest selections of wines too! We started with a giant charcuterie board. We enjoyed the variety of cheeses paired with freshly carved meats. Then we had some avocado toast, salad and chicken. The chicken was the highlight of our lunch, and when paired with some of the topping from my avocado toast ~ heaven!

Cocktail bar
Broken Shaker at Freehand Los Angeles is a rooftop bar located on the 14th floor of downtown's Freehand Hotel. The ambiance exudes a South Beach vibe with vintage touches and inventive cocktails. The rooftop is adorned with palm fronds, cactuses, and bulb lights, creating a sunny atmosphere that complements the drinks and bites offered. The cocktail menu features fruit-, coconut-, and herb-tinged concoctions, with popular options like Litty City and Vibe Check.
Randomly came accross this gem!! A rooftop bar, pool, healthy plants in large pots. A lovey ambiance amongst the chaos of downtown LA. Did not taste the food. Decent cold brew. Open during the day for a drink.

ROOFTOP WITH KILLER VIEW!! Food - 4 Service - 4 Ambiance - 5 Price-quality-ratio - 4.5 If you’re looking for a rooftop bar with a killer view of downtown LA, Broken Shaker is the spot. The vibe here is laid-back yet stylish, with colorful decor, twinkling lights, and a pool that adds to the atmosphere. Whether you come during the day to soak up the sun or at night to take in the city skyline, the setting is hard to beat. The drinks are solid—creative, refreshing, and well-balanced. Whether you’re into tropical cocktails or something with a little spice, there’s something on the menu for you. The presentation is also on point, with fresh herbs and unique garnishes that make each drink feel special. Food-wise, they have some great bites to go along with your drinks. The chips and salsa hit the spot, and there are a few other options worth trying if you’re feeling snacky. It’s not necessarily a full-on dining experience, but it definitely complements the drinks well. Overall, Broken Shaker is one of the best rooftop bars in LA for a relaxed yet fun night out. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, it’s worth checking out for the views alone—but the drinks and vibe will make you want to stay.

Made a reservation here to have a nice rooftop terrasse view of LA. Nice view, cool that can you can access the pool. However, drinks were overpriced but bland. Also I was not pleased and uncomfortable to see the way we were charged- a credit card being "held" by the waitress before ordering the drinks and then having the waitress tip themselves 18% without asking us how much we would like to tip... we only read this 18% tip rule AFTER being charged as it was written on the bill. Would have been nice to knke before ordering about this tip. Quite ridiculous.

We wanted to eat at a place with a view of the city that had a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere. We sat at the bar since it was just thentwo of us. The bar tender was attentive and helpful. We ordered the curry shrimp skewers, the fish tacos, the chicken sandwich, and some fried plantains. Overall, the food was good. The tacos had a great flavor, and the chicken sandwich was delicious (the slaw is what makes it). However, for $18, you only get two tacos. The shrimp skewers were bland. They lacked more curry flavor or flavor at all. I asked the bartender if the plantains were green or ripe (tostone style, salty, or maduro, sweet). She said sweet, but they were actually green. And for $5, you only get three. Skip them. For drinks, we got one of their tequila cocktails and glass white wine. Overall, stick with the burger or chicken sandwich. A lot of people ordered the burger, and it looked good. Come here for the views and drinks, not so much the food. It's way overpriced, and it's hit or miss.

Had a cocktail on the patio on a warm day. Good quality and fairly priced - the patio get you away from the ‘street below.’ Very nice pool as well

Better rooftop views, comfortable sitting. This rooftop bar has much better open and pretty views than other rooftops! It is located close to the clean and safe part of the downtown Los Angeles. It is also close to the major tall and beautiful commercial and apartment buildings, so the view is much better than other rooftops. The most important thing about this bar, it is that it has a lot of lounge chairs around the rooftop swimming pool and it is very comfortable to lay down after a meal. Even though the swimming pool is very small and not heated, but it is still pretty and soothing to look at it. The bar foods are rather ordinary and the price is average. However, they do charge the service fee and health fees, so your final bill will be 20 % more. After all, it is still better than other rooftops and I certainly will come back to this place again.

Banquet hall
The El Rey Theatre is a renowned concert venue in Los Angeles, known for its iconic neon sign and stunning Art Deco interior. Originally built in 1936 as a movie house, the theater's historic significance is evident in its architecture and design. The grand lobby features elegant staircases and opulent chandeliers, exuding Old Hollywood charm.
Saw TV on the Radio and not only was the show amazing, the venue was fantastic! Clean, which I thought was amazing because they have carpet on the floors and drapes all around, but it didn’t smell dingy or beer soaked. I was very impressed with the venue!
Jason M — Google review
Staff was caring, professional and helpful when helping me in the ada situation. Still had a great view out of the way. Beautiful location with old Hollywood vibe. Concert was enjoyed, clean restrooms with attendants in women's. All staff went above and beyond.
Amy G — Google review
I saw Yola here last week. The venue is clean, well-maintained, and has a cool, classic vibe. The sound quality was solid, but I’d definitely recommend bringing ear plugs because it gets loud quickly. If you plan to drink, I suggest doing that beforehand. The drinks at the venue are overpriced and don’t have much alcohol in them. Street parking was super easy, which made the whole experience even better. The show itself was amazing. Yola was incredible live, and the crowd energy was great. I’d definitely come back for another show.

4 stars, saw Cosmo Sheldrake here. Security & staff are great very welcoming. El Rey is great for sound quality. Parking is very close as well. There’s 1 stall in the men’s wash room so it’s not ideal but that’s all they need to improve on.

The El Rey is such a great venue for a concert. I saw the amazing Teedra Moses and the sound was amazing! However, the bar/drinks can use some more creative drink selections.

Cool, saw Death Cult. Missed half the show cuz they were done by 1030?! I assumed Doors 8pm, opener at 9pm, headliner 1030-12am. Boy was I mistaken lol My bad, cool venue!

This was my first time coming here to this theater and it was also my first time seeing better than ezra. And these guys are amazing Better Than Ezra is the best man I've ever seen live if they come back here I love the theater. The staff was very friendly and I'm glad they had security there were no incidents just one brief scare with a woman but she was okay. I appreciate that and they had EMTs on standby which is always good. So this was a great place for safety and entertainment I definitely plan to come back here again to see other shows and whatever other events they may have. They also had a bathroom attendant which is pretty cool. And I really love the decor and the decorations
Joseph W — Google review
Small intimate venue with the best device and security I have encountered at a venue in LA. The drink options are amazing, electrolit, kombucha, cider, ginger beer and even a few snacks, vs only your typical liquor and beer selection. Some event goers were being disrespectful of the VIP areas and removing the reserved tables so they could dance there. Security was swift but calm and ensured all reserved areas were respected, even though he had to do this all night as people kept breaking the rules. At one point there was a taller gentleman standing on the stairs (which you aren't supposed to) and blocking the tables view. Again, with grace and composure the issue was addressed. Don't come here if you want to go "wild" and break the rules. They are on top of everything from rowdy attendees, to sets starting exactly on time, to ending exactly on time. I love this venue and will definitely be back! Head up, they blast the AC so be sure to bring a jacket!

Nossa Caipirinha Bar is a new addition to Los Feliz, offering a blend of Southern Brazilian cuisine and Italian influences. The menu reflects the fusion of these two culinary traditions, showcasing dishes like the flavorful roasted chicken served with traditional South American sides. The bar offers a variety of delicious caipirinhas, making it an ideal spot for pre-dinner cocktails or a nightcap in its cozy and warm atmosphere.
We came on a Sunday night and the vibe was really great. The servers were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. My girlfriend is vegan and they made excellent recommendations since Brazilian food is very meat heavy. The skewers were great for sharing and the rice and beans were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place for couples put together because lots of things come in pairs.
Lauren D — Google review
Authentic Brazilian food! I lived in Rio de Janeiro. This place always takes me back there. The food is to die for. Got the pao de queijo, the coixinas, and the picanha/pork housemade sausage. The drinks are fresh and authentic, wine list is serious and well thought. One of the best services. This is real hospitality. Kind, attentive, and professional.
Nicolás T — Google review
The bar and cocktails were amazing, I would def come back here for that. But it says they have vegan options but they don't, and the vegetarian options were very slim, and boring. The garbanzos are fried in the same frier as the meat, and the bread is brioche, and they don't have plain farinha just farofa with pork in it. Uff! I guess I'm sad because this used to be my spot to go with all my friends w different dietary restrictions and now it absolutely is not. The food I did eat was very mid and very expensive. TLDR: No dietary restrictions will have any fun and the Caju cocktail was delicious!
Rachel G — Google review
Delicious Brazilian food with a bit of an ‘elevated’ twist—authentic foods but with new flavors. Everything was so fresh and delicious so it’s hard to say what the favorites were—just go and try everything, you can’t go wrong. (Heads up, a 20% service tip is included here.)
Eliot G — Google review
Took mom and dad to dinner last night. I love Brazilian food so I always try different spots. The food here was average, some dishes can easily be argued of being over priced. The service was terrible. It took around 6 minutes to be sitted, while the restaurant was half empty and the waiter forgot to bring my dad's wine until he was close to being done with he's meal. There is a mandatory 20% service fee on your bill. I think the consumer should evaluate the tip warranted in accordance with the service given. That might be an underlining issue why the staff are not on top of things.
Artur A — Google review
Decent drinks but the food was pretty disappointing. I love Brazilian food but was very underwhelmed by my meal here. Small menu which just wasn't good enough. Atmosphere is nice, I'd recommend just getting drinks here.
Winston H — Google review
It feels like you are in Brazil, so laidback and relaxing. I absolutely love the food, and the staff is so very friendly. 🤩 Our waiter Rivers was super nice.
Rickard J — Google review
I can only speak for the bar in this review because I’m such a lush, but the variety of caipirinhas on the short menu are absolutely delicious. They would make a great starter cocktail before your dinner or a nightcap as I had with my industry folks. The bar is subtle cozy and warm, less Rio and more lodgy which I really dig. I would definitely come back for more.

Club
Los Globos is a popular nightclub located on Sunset Blvd, drawing in crowds with its regular live music and DJ events. The venue offers a diverse range of international music programming, from Reggaeton to house music to drag nights. Housed in a historic building that was once an American Legion Hall, the club has a storied history as one of the city's first gay nightclubs and a long-running Latin dance club. The bi-level space provides ample room for dancing and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
I attended a Candy Pop party here, and it was a good experience. The theme and organization were on point, and while the venue isn’t huge, the spacious smoking patio on the ground level is a nice bonus. The bartenders were friendly and kept the line moving, and the drinks were made with decent alcohol, though the pricing was inconsistent — I paid $10 and $20 for the same drink within an hour. Security and staff were friendly, which added to the good vibes. Overall, it’s a solid spot for theme dance parties and small concerts.

I attended the Sexy Nerds event on September 27, 2025. First off, good luck finding parking. You better Uber or something if you want to make it here. Secondly, the bar doesn't take cash, and that's kind of ass. I had to escape to find a nearby bar to spend my money. Thirdly, you might not be let back in if you leave. Fortunately, security was pretty cool and let me back into the event. That being said, I just don't feel as though this venue has much to offer above any other.
Chuck R — Google review
Went here for a concert and we waited more than hour before we were let inside. Organizers didn’t let anyone know what was going on. Everyone was just standing outside and honestly getting annoyed because we just wanted to get in. There’s only two restrooms on the first floor. One for each gender which is wild to me. The performer we saw was amazing so no complaints with them at all. It was so messily organized that I will not be going to another concert here in the future.
Janet M — Google review
I went to a party called Gorgeous Gorgeous here. The party was fun, the music was great too. I have absolutely no complaints about the party itself but please tell me why I spent nearly $100 on two well drinks and a white claw. The drinks were mostly ice and came in small disposable cups. The drinks are overpriced even for LA but especially for a venue like Los Globos. I had another experience here where I went to a different party and the bartender charged me different amounts for two rounds of the same drink order. I think the first round was like $25 and the second round was $45 for the exact same order. I’m used to LA prices, but this is wild.
Anna M — Google review
Would NOT recommend. Went here for Candipop night (girls pop music night) with a group of girls and was shocked to see an abundance of men, some of whom would follow girls around and just generally act creepy. Since it was a Candipop me and my girls really thought the vibe would be different but this event was a big no for us. We left after like an hour. And they don’t serve tap water at the bar, only bottled water for $6. If you’re a man looking to pick up girls at a girl pop themed night just know that no one wants you <3

Really wanted to not believe all the reviews on here talking about various issues with this place. But, sadly yall are right! My friends and I were going to a ticketed event there, we got in line around 10pm, ready to dance! The doors were supposed to open at 11:30pm, but alas, we waited in line for over 2 hours. Past 12 pm, now you're supposed to pay. No thanks. After all of that waiting, we just decided to leave, there was no signs that any security was going to open the door any time soon. The security/bouncers for the night weren't as bad this time around based on what everyone says, but they could definitely handle/fix the line, que times, and not lying about how long you're actually going to be there. Parking, is not easy here either, get ready to have a little stroll to the bar from your parking spot!
Lilly M — Google review
It was the worst start of the evening of my life, the bouncers are so strange I paid for my consumption so expensive for not much, knowing that I wanted to leave the establishment and the bouncer threw me my full drink! Big nonsense I don’t recommend this place at all To flee!!
Pierre M — Google review
Disorganized and dishonest; they kicked us out of an event we had tickets and arrived on time for (we were the second ones in line) then one of their employees told us to line up across the street for the other entrance. He said he would get us in for free. That same employee took us across the street to this bew entrance. After waiting 30 minutes, we got to the front and another employee tried 1) making us get in line for another event and 2) making us pay even though we got to the original entrance (the one they kicked us out of) during the early bird period. We decided to just leave. There are way better nighttime venues than this. Save your time and money.

The Hollywood Improv, part of a renowned comedy club chain established in 1974, is a must-visit for anyone exploring the comedy scene. It has been a vital part of L.A.'s stand-up culture and continues to feature A-list headliners who entertain crowds in the main room and the Lab. While known for its iconic mural (now painted over), it remains one of the most famous clubs where comedians dream of performing.
Fantastic place! It’s not too big and not too small. The bar is great and the food was delicious. The lineup of comedians we got was absolutely fantastic. They have all the greats and amazing comedians all over the walls. Security and staff are outgoing and respectful. I would say though if you can find parking just do it, because if not valet is $18 which is kind of expensive. But if you’re in a hurry it can be great. The chairs are very comfortable and accommodating. We had a burger and street tacos. Both were good. The cosmopolitans were lacking in alcohol unfortunately though.
D K — Google review
I witnessed almost all of my favorite comedians did a stand up in this location and coming for the first time, it was amazing! Space inside is perfect, went and chose for a bar setting, and the best decision esp going by yourself. There’s available parking right next to the locations. Once you enter, They lock you phones so expect not getting any candid pictures of the event, but you can always have it unlocked for certain purposes. Overall it was great experience for a cheap ticket price. Also, first come first serve, so be sure to be there early and in time.
Venice T — Google review
The show was good, I would say 4 out of 6 comedians were great. I have no problem with locking the phone in the bag, but to be honest the waiters walking and serving around during the whole show was wayyyyy more distracting than my iPhone would be! Overall, it’s worth going!

Great place to see a comedy show. There are two rooms: The Lab, and The Main Room. The Lab holds less people and has everyone tightly packed together. The Main Room seats more, and is more spacious. Staff was nice and responsive. Wanted to see if it was possible to see two shows in a night (early show in the Main Room and late show at The Lab) and ended up seeing two shows in a night! Being in Los Angeles there are great shows every night. Great way to see big comedians in a intimate venue.

Cool place, Ismo was funny although he wasn't feeling well. Intimate stage room, drinks were good. I didn't like that I had to have my phone sealed up in a case. I have kids at home and that was shitty not to have access. But overall good

Saw a great comedy show here- Dave Attell this time, others in the past. Pros: Much better menu than some other comedy places, volume was good, wait staff was excellent. Cons: 2 drink minimum on top of already paying for a ticket, no table for our drinks/food in the row we were seated at was awkward. Seats squished together. Pepsi, not coke. Poor non alcoholic menu. They should offer a larger variety of non alcoholic fancy drinks. They could still charge quite a bit for it, but it would be easier for everyone driving home.

Looking for a great night out in LA that won’t break the bank? We got to see Jason Ellis, and it was such a great show that we caught another next door. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced and served quickly. Each set had the crowd in stitches 10/10 would do again.

Always a great show, get there at least 30 minutes before show for best seating options. They now require you to place cell phones in secure pouches they hand out. They are trying to stop people from recording the show. No big deal, just be aware.

Step into a time warp at Good Times at Davey Wayne's, a funky '70s retro bar in Los Angeles. The entrance is through a vintage refrigerator door, leading you to an era-appropriate garage sale decor, complete with an Airstream trailer and backyard BBQ. The bar offers campy cocktails like the Grasshopper and Fuzzy Navel. On Wednesdays, local indie, rock, and funk bands perform while guests enjoy Happy Hour specials before the show begins.
I was bar hopping with friends in the Hollywood area and this spot was recommended so we stopped by. A solid bar with great specials and the atmosphere feels like a chill house party with excellent music. I think this will be a great spot for the summer days. I went during the day and loved the vibe in general. I’d definitely come back here again on a weekend night.

This place is perfect for a vintage lover!! The DJ actually played oldies and not remixed oldies with house or rap. Please don’t change a thing with the music 🙏 Just good old classic dancing music. My friend and I had an incredible time and the atmosphere was so so good. We’ll definitely be back!
Tory J — Google review
Good Times at Davey Wayne’s is truly one of the most unique spots in Los Angeles. From the moment you walk through the hidden garage door entrance, you’re transported into a vintage world full of character, energy, and good vibes. I came out specifically to support the local bands performing, and I have to say — the live music scene here is top-tier. The sound system, the atmosphere, and the crowd all come together to make it feel like an intimate concert experience, while still keeping the fun, laid-back bar vibe alive. One thing I love about this venue is the mix of people. You’ll find locals, creatives, and visitors from all over, all connecting through music and good times. It’s not just about grabbing a drink — it’s about being part of the culture. The retro décor, great drinks, and outdoor patio make it easy to stay for hours and just enjoy the night. As a business owner with my merch company, Saka World Wide, this place was also a great opportunity to connect with people, share ideas, and build relationships. Los Angeles thrives on collaboration, and Davey Wayne’s is the type of spot where conversations happen naturally — whether it’s about music, fashion, or business. If you’re looking for a night out that combines incredible live music, a lively crowd, and a one-of-a-kind retro vibe, this is the place to be. Whether you’re supporting local bands like I was, meeting new people, or just looking for a memorable night in Hollywood, Good Times at Davey Wayne’s delivers every time. Highly recommend! Walking into Good Times at Davey Wayne’s is like stepping into a time machine that lands you right in the middle of the 1970s, but with all the energy and culture of modern Los Angeles. From the moment you pass through the garage door entrance — which already sets the tone for a hidden gem experience — you’re surrounded by vintage décor, retro furniture, warm lighting, and a soundtrack that feels like pure nostalgia. The atmosphere is unmatched, and you immediately know you’re in for a special night. I came here to support some of the local bands performing, and the live music experience blew me away. The stage setup is intimate, allowing you to feel every beat and every lyric in a way that larger venues simply can’t replicate. You can tell that the management really cares about giving upcoming artists a platform to shine while still keeping the quality of the sound and performances top-notch. The crowd is always lively and engaged, dancing, clapping, and vibing along — it’s the type of energy that reminds you why live music is so important for a city’s culture. What makes Davey Wayne’s truly unique is how perfectly the retro vibe and live music complement each other. The shag carpets, old-school furniture, vintage posters, and overall design create an environment where you feel like you’re partying in your coolest uncle’s house back in the day. Pair that with live bands who bring raw talent and fresh energy, and you have a setting that balances nostalgia with creativity. It’s not just a bar or a club — it’s an experience where music and environment collide in the best way possible. The drinks are strong and crafted with care, and the bartenders add to the fun with their upbeat personalities. The outdoor patio gives you a chance to breathe in between sets, catch up with friends, or even network if you’re like me and always building relationships for your business. Running my merch company, Saka World Wide, I found myself not only enjoying the performances but also connecting with people who appreciate art, creativity, and community. It’s a reminder that venues like this aren’t just about entertainment — they’re hubs where culture and business can overlap naturally. Overall, Good Times at Davey Wayne’s is a one-of-a-kind venue in Hollywood that every music lover and culture seeker needs to visit. Whether you’re here to discover new bands, vibe to live performances, soak up the retro aesthetic, or just have an unforgettable night out, this place delivers on every level. It’s rare to find a bar this unique

Good Times at Davey Wayne’s is everything you want in a classic Los Angeles night out. The entrance alone sets the tone — walking through that retro garage fridge door never gets old. The cocktails are top-tier, the crowd is fun and energetic, and the outdoor area is perfect for catching your breath between sets. The DJs always know how to keep the energy high, and the vibe feels effortlessly cool every single time. Whether you are visiting LA or live here, Good Times at Davey Wayne’s is a must. What an unexpected gem! Our Uber driver had to drive around the block twice to find the place. Once we got inside, we were treated to great music with a lice DJ, an amazing eclectic atmosphere, and bartenders pouring quality drinks. Zebulon is a popular hotspot for the psych-rock scene and comedy shows. It's known for its loud, sweaty atmosphere and strange sights and sounds that pair well with acid. The venue hosts legendary weirdo comic Neil Hamburger's weekly residency, attracting comics with wild performances like Sarah Squirm. Once inside, visitors can enjoy multiple spaces including a cozy front room, a dance floor with a disco ball, and a spacious patio.
Lovely ambiance! The owner and staff are warm and friendly! Food is really good! We performed there and the sound system and audio engineer were top shelf! They have a fun green room and provide discount on food and drink tickets for performers! The stage was large and the audience area was also. They have a really nice outside patio and the area is easily accessible off the 5 freeway. Will definitely be going there again and hope to perform there again!

First time attending this cafe/venue the other night and it was very enjoyable! It is a very intimate place, but the sound and vibe is great! The food and drinks are decent priced. The coffee smelled amazing. The bartenders are super friendly and attentive! We had the chicken tacos and margherita pizza and both were really good! The pizza had really a really good ratio of tangy sauce, cheese, and crisp to the crust. The live music area is just behind the curtain doors and it's a nice sized intimate area. The sound was really good, clear and crisp. There is a small bleacher seating area, a bar seating area, and the rest is standing area. I definitely recommend this venue! The parking situation is a little sketchy down here though, the streets are very dark and lots of dead ends. It's all street parking only. I don't quite know this neighborhood, but it looks kind of industrial. But as always, be aware of your surroundings.

Zebulon is one of my favorite spots in LA — part bar, part concert venue, and 100% magic. The atmosphere is always electric, with an effortlessly cool crowd and an energy that feels both wild and welcoming. The bartenders are super chill, the music is always on point, and the whole place has this perfect mix of creativity and chaos. Between the live shows, the cozy outdoor patio, and the overall vibe, it just feels alive. Whether you’re there for the music, the drinks, or just the scene — Zebulon never disappoints.

Great small music venue. Excellent bar in front while you wait for the doors to open. Sound in the music hall is great.

1st time here. Its a nice, big. Good sound equipment, big Stage bar. Venue. Lots seating outside too. I totally recommend. Kind of hard to find.

My phone got stolen out of my bag here and I spoke to multiple staff members, they took my info but seemed totally unbothered…like it was a common occurrence. They pretty much told me I was screwed and shrugged me off. I also ran into another guy who also had his phone stolen that night. Regardless, I’ve been here half a dozen times and the dance floor is meh. Only positives are they pour the drinks strong and the hot dog stand outside is fire.

Zebulon is a unique little spot with a bohemian vibe. They have a great selection of vegan and vegetarian options, and the food is always fresh and delicious. I love their turmeric latte and avocado toast. The place has a chill, artistic atmosphere, making it a perfect place to sit and relax. It's a bit of a hidden gem, and I’m glad I stumbled upon it!

Great intimate venue. I’m a little biased though since I was proposed to after seeing a show here, but would still HIGHLY recommend!

Boardner's by La Belle is a historic nightclub located on Hollywood Boulevard, dating back to 1927. The dimly lit interior exudes a vintage vibe with an art deco bar, dance floor, and patio. Recognizable from various movies and TV shows, it offers a spacious dance floor and a courtyard with the original Moroccan tile fountain. Known for its casual atmosphere and affordable drinks, it's popular among comedians for post-show drinks.
One of the coolest experiences in Hollywood. The people of music the atmosphere the food and beverages everything is just what people are looking for when they come to LA. I can't wait to visit again!!

Opening at 5pm Boardners has become our local go-to for my husband and I as this was where our first date was. There is such a positive vibe to this place that makes me proud that this is the neighborhood I live in. The staff and patrons are artistic in every different type of cinematic field. Eli, Cat & Keenan are all equally amazing to us and always have been kind, consistent and fun to talk to. And can handle this sometimes very high volume barscape with ease. I recommend the entire menu but tend to ricochet between the steamed dumplings, the angel hair pasta and my favorite salad in town - their Cobb Salad - which happens to have been invented in Hollywood, so its nice that Boardners makes a solid one. Speaking of history, Boardners is that - from the classic Hollywood studio system era onwards this place has served the hard working people of the Motion Picture Industry and you can feel it. There is something special here that makes you want to stay the night, journal, meet new talented friends and enjoy the vibe as it opens up into a busy fun place. A true Actor & Musician hangout ! Every time I'm here I get into awesome conversation with talented and very funny people who are either writing their own content or just performed for the day on a set! The back courtyard is a great place to take guests who visit as it adds to the whole Hollywood vibe and hosts live music some nights and the acoustics are perfection for this.

As former locals we used to crawl home to our apartment on La Brea after a night of clubbing and inevitable nitecaps at Boardner's...its the safe Hollywood hangout you always wanted!

Boardner's Bar LA It was 10pm when we got there . And had some delicious food , I had tacos . And my brother Wyatt had spilt a sandwich and mozzarella sticks with my mom and he has two delicious cocktails.’ We also all felt some paranormal type feelings when visiting the restroom one after another First my brother felt like he has someone standing above him when he was washing his hands , like someone was up against his back then Mom felt like something was standing over her . Felt something hovering over her when she washed her hands and felt the room feeling tight the air feeling thick Then for me I Felt something run hands up my ankles . Calves and thighs From beneath me Then after i used the restroom and to was washing my hands and felt hands rub up my neck and back of my ear All in the unisex restroom All of us felt the room was thick but don’t let that discourage you from visiting the food is delicious the vibe is cool and gothic and if you have any interest in visiting somewhere with a haunted feel it’s worth a visit. Over all I had a good dinner and I would go back .

I usually come here for their Blue Mondays nights, and the venue never disappoints. The two stages and the bar you can sometimes sneak into each have their own distinct vibe. The music inside is always great, and the outdoor sets change every week. The only downsides are the bouncers, who always seem a bit irritated, and the fact that I once had my phone stolen from my pocket here — something I’ve heard continues to be a problem. Still, it’s a solid spot overall. Just remember to bring cash for the entry.

was having a good time until one of my friends accidentally left his phone in here and the staff wouldn’t return it or much less look for it or let us look for it ourselves even after the event was over. called people a ton of times and none of them helped us. told us to call JESSICA, did that and she got angry and told us she couldn’t help . if you wanna come here just know the staff is ain’t gonna help you with ish! 😭 it’s been almost a week and not one effort or news about the phone

I’ve gone to this place one other time and after this being my second time NEVER AGAIN! Security is brutally disgusting and rude. We were in line to pay and the tall white guy with a beanie and a bearer smacked my back I a woman to tell us to move into a line when we’re waiting for our party to arrive. He could have easily vocalized saying excuse me but he had no manners. Then I went into this place where the speakeasy/bar is in to make line for the restroom and the same guy as he had the same stature as from earlier in line, when telling me to move over stops one palm then the other palm over my boobs and makes his hands move over like signaling to scoot but he was so near my chest area that made me so uncomfortable because by a split inch was near touching my private area (chest) and he looked at my boobs almost like testing to see if he could get away with it. I as a woman it makes me feel uncomfortable because just cause you’re in this area of LA and they assume you would consume alcohol they think they can get away with such behaviors. Honestly truly NEVER GOING BACK.so beware it is LA and these weirdos are working for most clubs/bads.

The Mayan is a vibrant tri-level dance club located on Hill Street in Los Angeles. Originally opened as a movie theater in 1927, it has evolved into a renowned nightclub that has hosted top DJs from around the world. The club features lavish Mayan-inspired decor and pulsing techno beats that captivate the crowd across its two main stages. With three levels of dance floors and seven bars, it offers an unforgettable nightlife experience.
So glad I got to go for the last night. It was a big amazing party with great music and entertainment. The inside of this historic building is so beautiful and festive. I hope this place will open back up someday for more fun times.
Sarah B — Google review
The theater itself looks very cool. Not sure if it was this one show but the sound actually improved when I put earplugs in. Before that it was a bit muddied, as though the sound was almost too much for the space. Security and staff are really not great. A bit overzealous is an understatement. One playing with handcuffs in front of the venue, around patrons. Wholly unprofessional. Also, $7.00 for a bottle of water? Absurd. This venue could be so much better if it was managed by someone competent. If someone with a brain does run this place, they certainly were not present during the show we attended.
Jakob Z — Google review
The Mayan has always been a standout venue, and attending one of its final events was nothing short of unforgettable. The energy in the building was electric, with every corner buzzing with nostalgia and excitement. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just another night out—it was a celebration of all the years The Mayan has brought people together through music, art, and community. The production was top-notch, with incredible sound, lighting, and performances that truly honored the venue’s legacy. Every detail felt intentional, a fitting tribute to a space that has meant so much to so many. Whether you were on the dance floor, taking in the visuals, or just soaking up the atmosphere, there was a sense that we were all part of something special—one last, unforgettable chapter in The Mayan’s story. We left with full hearts and the kind of memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we’re grateful to have experienced one of the final events in such an iconic space. The Mayan didn’t just host events—it created moments, and we’ll hold onto ours forever.

The Mayan has closed for the time being. The people running the theater have given up ship. Word on the street is that the city or county may turn into a historic building, as they should. The Mayan is too beautiful to abandon. I feel fortunate to have attended back in the 90s until their last day. I really do hope they restore it and reopen it for the public to enjoy once again ;)
Romeo O — Google review
The Mayan is closing for good reason, they are actually terrible at caring for their patrons considering I’ve yet to receive any type of response. Keep pushing people out your doors and all of a sudden you have to close. Good riddance 🤡 (Hello. I’d like a response from someone in management or leadership. I had an event to show up to today, it was a friends birthday and they were expecting me to arrive. I show up and they tell me I won’t be let in because I have no shoes or pants on. What does that even mean? Are they trying to tell me I showed up in underwear and barefoot? I have shoes on that help correct my ankle pronation, and i obviously had pants on? So what was the problem? I asked to speak to someone in charge and everyone on duty at 9:20 PM 8/24/25 , 3 security guards in total, looked away and ignored me, disregarding me entirely. They start talking about my attitude and how it’s a problem. As if I wouldn’t have a problem with them telling me I have no pants on. What is that even supposed to mean? I showed up willing to give money to this establishment, and they turned me away without explanation. Keep in mind, you keep your dress code out front and I was in no way breaking that dress code. )
Big N — Google review
This was my ever first time coming to The Mayan and on top of that, for a concert. There are a few parking lots across the street ($25-$30) which is convenient. The doors opened at 9:00 as stated but the show didn’t start till around 11:30. That was SUPER annoying. The drinks are strong but very expensive. The audio is horrible! For general admission there is plenty of uncomfortable seating all the way on top where the view is great however your behind will by numb by the end of the show. I would perhaps come back to dance, but not for an event.
Vanessa C — Google review
Can only speak to my experience seeing a concert here. Show was amazing, venue was cool, but the staff were some of the rudest and nastiest i have ever encountered. Disorganized line management, snapping and barking at people for going where THEY directed them. They were too busy chatting amongst themselves outside to direct lines properly. Inside the venue, my partner made a small mistake in the photo op and a staff member was extremely rude to him, telling him not to get upset when he very calmly apologized and promptly deleted the photo he had taken. The mistake he made was to take a photo when there were NO signs that that wasn't allowed, nor had anyone told us in advance or received even an email beforehand with rules! How was he supposed to even know? Merch line was directed through the venue instead of the lobby so it gummed up foot traffic and crowds really badly. During the show the same staff member that was nasty to my partner elbowed me (very hard) to get past me to yell at someone for recording. At this point there had been announcements about photos or recordings, so I understand putting a stop to it, but I wasn't doing anything nor even really in his way. Despite the way staff acted about people taking pics, apparently the rules don't apply to them, as i saw two staff members sneaking pics on their phones (including the one enforcing it with attendees, lmao). They've got no business doing concerts if this is how they conduct themselves. I've never once in my life been treated like this by venue staff. Enjoy it as a nightclub I guess, but avoid seeing shows here. Staff sucks.

The Mayan Theatre, now known simply as The Mayan, is a nightlife institution nestled in Downtown LA’s Historic Core. Since its conversion from a 1927 performance palace into a nightclub in 1990, it has distinguished itself through its stunning architectural flair—an immersive Mayan-Revival masterpiece by architect Stiles O. Clements, featuring ornate bas-reliefs, soaring columns, a calendar-inspired ceiling, and dramatic vaulted spaces . Step inside, and the ambiance is electric. Spread across three expansive levels with seven bars, the venue is built for dancing in every form—whether it’s Latin beats and reggaetón on the mezzanine or Top-40, hip-hop, or electronic on the main floor . Visitors often note that the crowd is energetic and inclusive, and that the club prioritizes dancing over the polished, “see and be seen” Hollywood formula . The sound system receives consistent praise—powerful and crystal clear, propelling the dance floor energy . Guests also appreciate the layout: when the floor gets intense, the balcony offers a breath of space and a bird’s-eye view of the action . Feedback isn’t universal bliss: some VIP offerings feel overpriced or underwhelming , and a few patrons report less than stellar treatment—including a TripAdvisor review citing poor service toward a disabled guest . But many long-time fans remain loyal. One reviewer affectionately remarked: “Bro. This spot is amazing […] Staff is always cool and kind. Even security is always great, bro—seriously” . Worth noting: the current nightclub operation is slated to close by late September 2025 after 35 years under the same leaseholder —so this may be your chance to experience its vibrant energy in this iconic setting.

Elevate Lounge is a sophisticated and stylish nightclub located on the 21st floor in Downtown LA, offering stunning city views and a chic ambiance. With a strict dress code, this venue provides an elegant setting for enjoying cocktails while taking in the panoramic skyline or hitting the dance floor. The lounge features multiple bars, VIP seating areas, and ambient background music for a refined party experience. Elevate Lounge is known for its elegance and serves as a popular destination for those seeking both sophistication and entertainment.
I celebrated my birthday at Elevate Lounge last night with all my friends, and I have to say, it's the best club and bottle service in town! The views of downtown are incredible, and the staff is very friendly. If you’re looking for a great time and want to dance with your friends, I highly recommend Elevate. You’ll dance the whole night and enjoy the stunning views of downtown. Trust me! You will have the time of your life at elevate!

The event sold on event brite for $15 before 9:30pm. The club didn’t open till 10pm. My date and I had a fun evening. The crowd was 80% oriental. The music was mostly hip hop. Love the atmosphere. Great vibe.

I want to express how disappointed and upset I am after what happened to my girlfriend during our visit to your venue. We were both really looking forward to the night—she was there for a girls’ night out, and I planned to join them later. She told me how great the music and vibe were, and everything was going well until a completely unprovoked incident with one of your security staff ruined the night for her—and ultimately, for me too. A security guard threw a drink at her feet for no reason, then showed zero professionalism or accountability when questioned about it. Instead of addressing the situation, she told my girlfriend to clean it up herself and brushed it off like it didn’t matter. Even after bringing it to the manager’s attention, nothing seemed to be done. The indifference from other staff only made things worse. This wasn’t just a bad customer service moment—it genuinely ruined her night and mine. No one should be disrespected or mistreated like that, especially when they’ve come to your establishment to have a good time and paid to be there. I truly hope you take this seriously and make some changes so that others don’t have to experience the same disrespect. No one should be disrespected or mistreated like that, especially after paying $40 for each of us to go inside. When customers spend their hard-earned money at your venue, the bare minimum they should expect is to feel safe, valued, and respected. This experience was the opposite of that, and it left both of us feeling frustrated and disappointed. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.
Daniel I — Google review
I know it’s literally DTLA but it shouldn’t feel like DTLA inside a club. This club feels ghetto, unsafe, and unwelcoming. I was searched horribly, the guy barely patted me down. The people walking around inside literally asking for trouble and the security guards who will point at a sign saying they aren’t responsible for anything. The other reviews talking about people getting beat up. I came with a group of 4 and 1 of them lost their phone. Something that happens I guess but when we spoke to security they told us there was already over 12 reported incidents of stolen phones. Nothing they can do. We spoke to the manager of Elevate Lounge, Brandon Bell, @brandonbellofficial, who we couldn’t get a single answer from and wasn’t willing to help us gain access to the cameras. He got belligerent once we pointed out that 12 stolen iPhones in one night is not a coincidence. That was it, he yelled the whole time and I turned my back to him. I spoke with security for the building themselves about what can be done and they told me this is an occurrence every time the lounge has a big event. I would 100% avoid this place again and not to mention that the drinks were over $20 each.
Guac E — Google review
Did bottle service and servers are welcoming. Nice lounge with street taco and hotdog inside. They play latin music with great vibe. Crowd is friendly. Door fee is $23 to get in.
Xyle L — Google review
The atmosphere here is great — it’s fresh, lively, and the music is on point. But the drinks? Not so much. They really need to hire a skilled bartender. I ordered a drink, and the person making it clearly didn’t know what they were doing. On top of that, it was overpriced. I wouldn’t mind paying a little extra if the drink was actually made right. Food: 2/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 Group size: 5–8 people Wait time: Up to 10 minutes Parking: There’s plenty of free parking available, which is a plus. However, the restrooms definitely need an upgrade — the lines were so long we had to go to another level to find one. Thankfully, the female security guard was kind enough to guide us and make sure we were okay.
John J — Google review
We got bottle service but a bald head guys ruined the night by acting so tough. Bouncers are self observed. Especially the bald head guy thinking he’s tough with all security hahaha. Better clubs out there in downtown LA

This atmosphere of this place is great , it's fresh ,great music, but the drink !! They are not good ,they need to hire a real bartender. I asked for a drink, and the person who made it didn't know what he was doing, plus it was over price. I wouldn't matter to paying it ,but at least do it right.

Mexican restaurant
Mirate is a Mexican hideaway that offers a unique weekend brunch experience, featuring a menu curated by chefs Josh Gil and Ronnie Munoz. The restaurant, which opened in November 2022 in Los Feliz, presents Alta California cuisine in a stunning multi-level space adorned with murals by artist Jorge Telleache. The menu includes flavorful dishes such as aguachile tatemado and fried chicken tacos, as well as sweet treats like French toast dipped in bay leaf horchata.
Treated myself to a great Saturday brunch and cocktail! Expansive, multilevel, gorgeous indoor/outdoor courtyard space built around an actual live tree. Top notch Mexican food and drinks. My El Chula sparkling wine and strawberry cocktail also had sour notes from tepache, a fermented, pineapple liquor, plus two spiced aperitifs, Xila and Granada Vallet. Complex but tasty! My chilaquiles in red salsa with avocado and queso fresco was delicious. Super friendly (even singing) staff and great Latin American music.

Absolutely loved our experience at Mirate! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food was on another level — bold, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. What really stood out was the food presentation — every dish looked like a work of art. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an elevated Mexican dining experience!

One of the top LA bars at the moment. Actually, they’ve been ranked among the best in North America and just recently ranked one of the best in the world. Unbelievable ambiance & environment. You don’t even feel like you’re in LA, but in an exotic location. I’m an avid cocktail fan and I’ve never seen a Mezcal selection even half as vast as they have at Mirate. The cocktails are on point and the staff super friendly. The brunch menu was glorious and the combination of drinks & bites our waitress Emma guided us through was top notch. Cannot believe they’ve been here for 3 years and this is my first time visiting Mirate. Cannot wait to go back.

I came here for brunch and had such a wonderful experience. The cocktails here are something special. I got the mi sancho and the coconut margarita, they were both some of the best cocktails i've ever had! We started with the salsa, it was super fresh and addicting. Next they brought out the fried chicken tacos, which were my favorite food item, they were insanely delicious and i'm so glad we ordered them! The queso was another delicious dish. We also got the yucca y plantains, it was a very unique and flavorful dish, yum. The last thing we got was the mollete, the guac was fresh and the sourdough had such a great tangy flavor. I loved every single thing we ordered and would definitely come back. The actual restaurant was also so cool i loved the open air atmosphere and tropical vibe! The service was great too. Love this place!

Came here for brunch and the food was phenomenal. I tried the Croque Senora and Mollete. Both were delicious and were plated beautifully. I didn't get a chance to try their drinks but they do have an extensive cocktails, mocktails, and spirits menu. I also really liked the decor and ambiance of the whole place. It has 2 floors and is open-aired so the whole place feels very breezy and inviting. Definitely a good brunch spot to impress your friends or date.

I had dinner here last night and it was pretty good. The restaurant space itself is quite unique and doesn’t feel like a typical LA restaurant. It’s a rather large restaurant, spanning two stories and feels like a little escape from the city. The food was very good, especially the rainbow carrots and kanpachi Aguachile. I would order those two items again. The guacamole also tasted great but the portion for the price with a little bit on the small side. The mezcal flight was fun to try too ! My only criticism would be that I thought it was just a pricey. The service was solid, no complaints.

Mírate – Los Angeles, CA On my daughter’s recommendation, we visited Mírate to celebrate her 29th birthday — and what a delightful surprise it was! The restaurant immediately reminded me of Cuina in Roma Norte, Mexico City, especially with its beautiful tree centerpiece that brings life into the dining space. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and vibrant, setting the stage for an excellent evening. The service was outstanding — attentive without being intrusive, and every staff member made us feel welcome. For our meal, I ordered the Taco El Cochito: roasted pork, honey-filled truffle, salsa cerda cruda, and chicharrón crumbs on a perfectly made corn tortilla. My wife had the Taco El Gobernador, featuring shrimp, poblano peppers, quesillo and Chihuahua cheese, with pickled onions on a corn tortilla. She’s usually quite particular about her food, but she loved it — and so did I! As a Tequila and Mezcal enthusiast, I was impressed by their premium selection. They even offered Pulque, which I hadn’t enjoyed since my visit to Oaxaca de Juárez. One sip brought me right back to Mexico — I felt at home. Final thoughts: Mírate offers a fantastic blend of authentic flavors, a great atmosphere, and attentive service. It’s a wonderful spot for special occasions or simply indulging in some of Mexico’s finest culinary traditions.

What an amazing dinner! Our server who was in “training” did an outstanding job! Everything we ate was so good, from the appetizers, mocktails, entrees and yes we had to try the dessert! Everything was well seasoned, hot items hot and cold were cold. The only thing I was upset by was the fact that Tracy since she was in training didn’t get to keep her tips. Standard practice I know, I have 40 years in the food industry.

The Varnish is a hidden gem located behind Cole's bar in downtown Los Angeles. This speakeasy offers custom cocktails crafted by skilled mixologists in a dark and moody setting. The ambiance is enhanced by live jazz performances on Sunday and Monday evenings, adding to the vintage charm of the place. Accessible only through Cole's French Dip, The Varnish boasts an intimate atmosphere with low lighting, cozy seating options, and a classic piano at its center.
This spot is great! Highly recommend as a great spot to have a date, catch up with a friend or even solo enjoy a delicious cocktail! I had two “bartenders choice” and was NOT disappointed. I can’t wait to go back here! Drinks average about 20 per. The only food they serve are nuts. If you want to eat you can go eat else where for a proper meal, perhaps Coles.

Wow! This is hands down my favorite craft cocktail lounge in LA. Every time I go on a vacation I am searching for a craft cocktail lounge and this one delivers and so much more. The ambience is 20’s speak easy. I heard they also do live jazz music. I can’t wait to see that some day!

The Speakeasy aspect is cool, hidden door and all, unfortunately that's about it. It's small and so is the drink list. Waiters brought drinks to the wrong table and took forever...the place was pretty empty. Drinks specials were pretty good. Went on a weekday so maybe better to visit on a weekend, but be prepared to wait, slim chance on a table, and forget being able to hear a conversation. Still...worth a visit for the historical location.

I've gone there two times and both I've had excellent cocktails, very balanced, rich, and super high quality. Don't be afraid to go for the "bartender's choice". They'll give you something delicious just let them know what you're in the mood for. The bartenders are very kind and attentful. Specially Roberto, he's one of the most amazing bartenders I've ever met, very attentive to detail, really good at mixing, and he has an amazing memory to remember people and has a great character (he said hi to us when he was walking by the taco truck where we were having late dinner). This is definitely a place for cocktail lovers, best place in LA I've found so far. Highlight of my LA trip 😄

We got there, walked to the door in the back of the restaurant, which looks a lot like a storage room door... Then we were greeted by a gentleman standing at the door, we decided to be standing by the bar, WOOOOW! The barista, what an incredible person, so friendly and a master in creating drinks! I asked for a French 75(was in the mood for a lemony drink) the way she prepared just blew my mind... it was one of the tastiest drink ever! Great place to listen to good Jazz as well, sometimes they have live jazz there! If you are in DTLA, don’t forget to check out this place!

This place was an absolute gem. I wouldn’t hesitate to take friends or a date here again for a great night out. We were greeted warmly by the bouncer and staff. The small bar was dark and intimate but the drinks were among the best we have had in LA. We ordered off menu and the bartenders made us some of the most refreshing and flavourful cocktails we have ever had. They also had live singing and piano whilst we were there. Loved this spot.

It’s a super neat place. The vibe and decor are just right for a jazz speakeasy. Drinks were lovely and the music was delightful. They have live music on Sunday to Wednesday after 9pm.

I knew I was in the right place when the menu included “Bartenders choice.” It typically signals a place where bartenders take their craft seriously. And that’s true about Varnish. The server(who is also a bartender) asked my wife and I a few questions about drink preferences. He returned with two off-menu cocktails that we both loved. They were both well balanced and delicious. The space is dimly lit but not too dark. Hidden in the back of Cole’s it lives up to the speak easy spirit.

The Wolves is a glamorous cocktail bar located in Downtown with antique decor and 1910s accents, offering innovative cocktails and American fare. The ornate space is adorned with antique lamps, sconces, and art, while the stained glass arches from an old train station create a breathtaking ceiling. Following the lockdown, the venue has introduced a specialty cocktail program led by bartender Nathan McCullough, who takes a culinary approach to mixology.
An absolute must-visit in Downtown LA for cocktail lovers. 🍸✨ I have obsessively been coming to The Wolves whenever I’m in LA, and it never disappoints. The Agua Buena is hands-down the best cocktail I’ve ever had in my life. Their other cocktails are just as impressive… my friends always order different ones, and every drink has such unique, inventive flavor profiles that just work. The small bites are delicious too. Friendly staff and the setting… don’t even get me started! It’s stunning, atmospheric, and makes the whole experience feel extra special.

Not remotely the best cocktails you'll ever have, but the building itself is an Art Deco wonder that really has to be seen to be believed. Kudos to the current owners for keeping it in what looks like its original condition! Well worth a visit.

3.5 stars . Cool looking bar with a selection of unique cocktails. Many of the drinks did not appeal to me though. only had one drink and it was good, so I didn't get to call my own drink and see how good the mixologist was. Will return to give it a full review and try a few drinks.

Came right when they opened at 5 pm on a Sunday. I love the stained glass ceiling and the bar's overall decor and vibe. I ordered the Tigers Milk and Harbinger of Fun, which the bartender told me are the most popular drinks on the menu. I liked the latter more due to its strawberry and pistachio notes. The bartender (I think his name is either Jason or Kevin) was incredibly friendly, chatted with me a bit, and made the drinks quickly. Excellent service. Would love to come back and try the other cocktails, which may ultimately elevate my rating. Drinks: 4 Service: 5 Ambiance/space: 4.5

Love this place. Classy joint. Beautiful interior and lovely ambience. The food is great and kitchen stays open til 11. House cocktails are a real pleasure. Get the smoked Tigers Milk for sure, and the garlic fries👌. Gets busy but that's how you know it's good

11/10 experience on every level! Food - incredible, no notes. Drinks - out of this world, you MUST try (true definition of curated mixology). Ambiance - no other bar like it in all LA, you have to see to believe. Staff - genuinely the best, most accommodating, friendly people I've ever met in service; give them all a raise!

If you're looking for a sophisticated bar with a delicious cocktail list, then head to Apotheke LA. This hidden-away spot in Chinatown offers innovative cocktails made with natural ingredients and herbs, all designed to help you relax, energize and rejuvenate. In addition, the outdoor oasis is lush and beautiful - perfect for enjoying a drink in the warmer weather months.
Very cozy and high class bar. It has high quality and tasty cocktails. Also, I recommend you coming on a Sunday to the Sunday Sessions Vinyl DJ party.

This place serves seriously good (and cool) Cocktails 👍 The atmosphere is very cool, the resident DJ plays awesome Tunes 😎 The outside space is nice and relaxed, having lots of 'booths' to sit in 👍 The Cocktails they make are excellent, no cheap pre-mixed junk. All are made with expert skill and ingredients and they taste sublime. They are a bit on the pricey side, but well worth paying 😉 I'd recommend the 'Curios Lotus' cocktail, it's REALLY good 😎 Deffo worth a visit 👍😎

Came here on a Friday night around midnight. There was plenty of parking. We had a group of 8 and we were able to snag a table outside with our very own heat lamp (there were several all over the place). The bartenders here are all super cool and can give you recommendation if you don't know what to order, just tell them what you like. We all got various drinks and shared and I honestly enjoyed every single one! My favorite was probably the Battle of Santa Ana, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Atmosphere is really cool in here, its dark, theres music, but you can still talk to people. I would definitely come back here again!

Super cool bar tucked away in a mostly industrial neighborhood. The decor is exquisite, a lot of thought and design went into every corner of the space. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely place to hang out with drinks. Most of all, the cocktails are some of the best. We had a spiced mezcal drink (“Roma”) and that was one of my favorite mixed drink I’ve ever had.

It has become one of the coolest spots to dine in LA, featuring the 71 Studio Bar with a private lounge under a massive disco ball from Dancing With the Stars.
A solid rooftop lounge on Cahuenga with an excellent view and chill vibe. I had a glass of their house cab with their house Caesar and it was excellent. It had anchovies and the dressing was phenomenal. Probably one of the best Caesar salads I’ve ever had. I’d definitely come back here again. I suggest an Uber because parking is around $15+

I visited this restaurant for a Valentine’s Day special, a surprise from my partner. While I tried to remain positive, the experience fell short of expectations, particularly when the main course arrived. Let me start from the beginning: upon arrival, the hostess appeared overwhelmed, and despite having a reservation, we weren’t given a clear wait time estimate. After being directed upstairs, we waited nearly an hour and were finally seated around 10 PM. Our server didn’t introduce themselves—I had to ask for their name. Given that my partner had requested plant-based options in advance and considering the pricing, we anticipated a well-prepared meal. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. For approximately $300 (including drinks), the meal consisted of uninspired dishes heavy on olive oil, wheat, tomato sauce, and semolina. While the drinks were enjoyable, the overall experience—from service to management to the food—was underwhelming. I understand that holidays like Valentine’s Day can be busy, but serving a lackluster pasta dish as the main course felt disrespectful, especially at that price point. It wouldn’t have been difficult to elevate the dish with simple additions like spinach, broccoli, or asparagus. In 2025, offering a thoughtful, inclusive vegan option shouldn’t be a challenge. This experience taught us a lesson: for future Valentine’s Days, we’ll likely stay home rather than fall for overpriced, underwhelming set menus. The restaurant seems to rely more on hype than quality. Thankfully, we redeemed the next day with an excellent meal at Pura Vita. While I dislike leaving negative reviews, the overall experience felt disrespectful given the amount we paid. Attached picture shows the “Main course Meal” (plant based) 🤯!

Amazing food and excellent music. The margarita pizza is absolutely delicious. The mushroom risotto is umami, cheesy, and delectable. And the gelato is soft, sweet, and creamy. The halibut is also very tasty. The servers are all very nice. Charlie was a stand out. After dinner I experienced the music room where a live band played. Totally worth every penny. Will definitely be coming back. A+ highly recommend.

This restaurant was good with great vibes. The food was okay with the bread, salad, and pizza being the most flavorful. We were disappointed by the lamb rigatoni and the chicken. We expected more from the flavors. Drinks were good with an interesting and refreshing taste.

Perfect spot for a night out with friends (or on a date)! Beautiful interior and fun vibe. It *feels* exclusive. Absolutely fantastic cocktails and very good, shareable food. The dishes were fresh and flavorful. The service was very good. After dinner, most of our group went up to the rooftop for drinks (I did not). Definitely coming back!
Kirsten B — Google review
We did not like the food in fact were quite disappointed. Hospitality was nice, and the atmosphere was very cool; a great vibe inside. We tried the spicy tuna, which was very oily, tossed in chili oil and evoo. The green salad was underwhelming, no flavor from the dressing and minimal ingredients. The ragu pasta was watery, almost enough liquid to be a broth, we didn’t finish it. The pizza was bland. The red pesto pasta was also very bland. The lasagna was the best dish of the night, but doesn’t warrant a visit in our opinion. The carrot side dish was one of the worst dishes we’ve ever had. It was like mushy frozen carrots with a sweet sauce mixed in. We barely touched it.

Gold Diggers Bar is a multifaceted venue that offers live music, DJ sets, and a vibrant atmosphere. Formerly known as a bikini bar, it has been transformed into a lively music spot within an entertainment complex that also houses a hotel and recording studio. The dance floor is often packed with enthusiastic patrons enjoying free DJ sets and ticketed live performances throughout the week. The bar's staff are friendly and proactive, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience even in unexpected situations like power outages.
Love the vibes in this small bar and stage. This is probably the smallest dancefloor I've been on, which mixed with the low stage made the show feel super intimate. I love this for seeing local bands! If you'd like to sit, there's a few tables near the stage -- get there early because all the other tables don't have a stage view. Water was freely available all night without having to bother a bartender 🤎 The name though, Gold Diggers, is kinda cringe... guess nothing's perfect 🤷‍♂️
Brian M — Google review
A nice, cozy location. I didn't have any drinks so can't review any of their servings, but I went for a Kiltro concert and had a great time. It's rather small as a venue, with very little space in front of the "stage" and rather limited visibility from elsewhere. A few pillars also split the room as well. The music was great though, and no acoustic issues. I would come again for another event.
K R — Google review
I attended this venue for Otis Kane’s album release event. First off, parking can be a challenge, there’s no designated lot, so we had to find street parking about a block away. The venue itself is small but has a charming bar area. I really enjoyed the show and the overall atmosphere. A highlight was getting my vinyl signed by the artist and even snapping a few pictures. If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend allowing extra time to find parking.

Cool vibes, good drinks and a nice but small stage with a great atmosphere. We caught the Anna Moon performance here and the sound was good with a small but appreciative crowd. Bartenders were nice and drinks were solid. If you get chance to see a live show here I would definitely recommend it.

Amazing bar with a little known parking lot just 1 block west of the venue!! Huge parking lot in fact. Don’t sleep on a show there just because you “don’t know where to park”. Now you know ! Great sound in this space too! So if you really like an artist it’s the BEST place to start experience them. And it’s a small space so you can really get up close. Good drinks, great staff and multiple Mezcal options ***

Came here to do some line dancing with some friends and what a wonderful venue. This is. Decent size dance floor. Nice open patio space that is still covered, with a wonderful view of the city surrounding it. Super fun bar with great atmosphere, drinks, and a great crowd. We're not big country fans but we do love the live band. They do a mix of traditional country songs and classic rock covers, and there's some mainstream pop they play over the speakers when the band takes a break. The first time we went, we got there about 9pm and there was no line. The second time, we got there around 10pm and the line was pretty long but moved fairly quickly. We were in the bar after maybe 25-30 minutes.

Interesting rooftop bar with a fun western/desert ambiance. Mostly a tequila based cocktail menu, the drinks are well made, there is no table service and the seating is all over the roof. We were a group of 4 and able to find a private shady area on a Saturday afternoon. The drinks are not as pretty as the photos in the digital menu, but they are well made.

One friendly bar tender and one not so much. The taco cart was closed between 7:30 - 8pm at the height of dinner time so the one guy running it could take a break?? Ok...but his break didn't seem to help his pissy attitude. The chicken taco meat was curry seasoned. The carne asada meat was also a strange seasoning that I couldn't quite place. Not terrible but definitely not expected. Would've been nice to know in advance before spending money on it. Decided to eat elsewhere. Amazing sunset and Hollywood hills views!

Dante Beverly Hills is a popular rooftop restaurant and cocktail bar located on the ninth floor of the Maybourne Hotel. Known for its ritzy ambiance and stunning views of the Hollywood Hills, it offers a coastal Italian cuisine that has received mixed reviews. However, their signature fluffy orange juice Garibaldi and award-winning drinks have garnered praise. Reservations are highly recommended as this spot tends to get fully booked, especially on weekends.
I enjoyed a nice lunch at Dante’s. It is a rooftop restaurant located inside the Maybourne Hotel. Just take the elevator to the top. The atmosphere was pretty nice and the staff friendly. I would recommend making a reservation. The crowd was pretty diverse although it seemed like they do attract hipsters (if they still call it that). I definitely people watched and was not bored. We got seated right away and luckily got the table we wanted. Something on the balcony side with a decent view of the city. The food was appetizing but my favorite was this shot they had us try. It was the right amount of sweet. The drinks were decent as well. I enjoyed the Tiramisu a lot. Their bathrooms were nice and clean although it was a bit of a walk to the back. Yes lazy me. lol All in all I enjoyed my lunch at Dante’s and would recommend it.

We were lucky enough to get a balcony table for two just in time for sunset, and the view paired with the ambiance was perfect. The atmosphere felt vibrant yet relaxed—great spot for a casual evening or a special occasion. We ordered a few drinks for the table and they did not disappoint. The pesto pasta was definitely the highlight of the meal—rich, fresh, and so satisfying. The pizza was good too with a nice crisp crust.

Dante might be my favorite restaurant in Beverly Hills. It’s elegant, romantic and cozy, without being pretentious. It has breathtaking views and some of the best cocktails in town. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly taken care of. We started with the burrata, yellowfin tuna crudo, and mare misto—all were amazingly delicious. For mains, we tried the margarita and fungi pizzas, along with the fazzoletti and bucatini al pomodoro pastas. Everything was wonderful, but the pizzas in particular were my favorite. This place hits every mark for a memorable night out. I’ll definitely be back soon and look forward to checking out their happy hour specials soon!

My friend and I came by on a Sunday for their happy hour. The restaurant is on the rooftop by the hotel pool, we had a good view from our seat. The server was very attentive and was able to help us with our order, and the drinks we ordered were all on point! My friend and I truly enjoyed it and will definitely come back!

Drinks 10/10. Definitely recommend balcony seating at sunset for beautiful views. Staff are all professional and bubbly - especially Camille! We had a cute table tucked away in the corner but she did not forget about us! Food did not blow away but the drinks, the service, the view, and the vibe all make up for it.

Located on the 9th floor of the Maybourne Beverly Hills, Dante offers sweeping views of Beverly Hills and Hollywood Hills. The space is beautifully designed with royal blue plush velvet booths, white marble surface and an elegant Mediterranean inspired fresco by Abel Macias. The menu here leans coastal Italian with wood-fired pizzas, pasts and seafood, and we found the food to be perfectly cooked, hot and flavorful. Favorites include the vongole and Bolognese. Great for people watching and a slow dining, Dante is a discrete and high-glam hotspot tucked away in one Beverly Hill's most luxurious hotel. Reservations are strongly recommended but walk-ins are available. An excellent place to rest after a busy day of shopping!

Great location and ambience! We loved the dj! The ribeye steak was delicious, the cocktails and passion fruit margarita were superb, but the Mainro Maki roll was not tasty. Most entertainment acts were great! The ladies restroom was too dark, which could result in falls since most visitors drink alcohol. If you sit upstairs, you use the same stairs to go to the restroom as servers. Be careful on your way down! Overall, a very positive experience! We'll be back.

We came here at least four times and my wife keeps asking me to come back there and she did her birthday there. The place offers top of the line sound system, LED visuals, and a program filled with singers, DJ, dancers and entertainers to accommodate any celebrations . They have a fusion menu but the best is their sushi I would say. The dance floor is not that big but overall it’s more of a lounge than a club. A place to eat and drink and watch entertainers and maybe a dance a bit to different tunes from Latino to Persian and Arabic and Armenian. The atmosphere of this venue is absolutely stunning — vibrant, stylish, and filled with people who truly know how to enjoy themselves in a classy way. It’s a place that immediately draws you in with its charm and energy. However, I was quite surprised by how something so small could become such a noticeable issue. With just 25 minutes left before closing, I ordered a simple bottle of sparkling water. Despite kindly reminding the server four times, it was never brought to my table. It’s genuinely puzzling how a minor request — a $0.50 drink — could be overlooked so many times in an otherwise well-organized establishment. I hope this was just a rare oversight, and that in the future, such small yet important details won’t become a point of frustration for other guests. Attention to service, especially in the final moments of the night, is what leaves a lasting impression.
Burak İ — Google review
We went here with some friends, and I give it 4 stars simply because of the food and service. There was a menu item called “Truffle Wagyu Bites,” or something similar that, and I can assure you the meat was nowhere close to Wagyu grade. It tasted like frozen McDonald’s hamburger beef at best. As for a steak we ordered, they brought the steak along with a burning piece of herb to the side of it (you can see the burning in the picture). I get that they are trying to present the food nicely, but there is a way to do it. It just produced an unpleasant smell and didn’t look too nice either. Steak was good, though. After serving the steak, the waiter just threw my utensils to the side on the table, so I had to ask for new ones. You can’t just serve food and toss the customer’s utensils like that. The entertainment, vibe, upscale atmosphere, entrance (security outside and inside, scanning for weapons before guests enter), dancers, live saxophone, and so much more, make up for the food. If the entertainment was lacking, this place would get 2 stars at best. The entertainment is top notch. If this place can work a bit more on the food and service, it would truly become 5 star. Entertainment is phenomenal, top notch.

Wow, MainRo, what is this place?! A restaurant? A bar? A full-on theater experience? Honestly, it’s all of the above and more. From the moment you arrive, the red carpet, velvet ropes, and professional security let you know you’re in for something special. Once inside, it’s sensory overload in the best way: dazzling lights, vibrant colors, and an electric atmosphere that hits you immediately. We were greeted warmly by the front desk staff and seated right on time at 9 p.m. in a beautifully designed booth. The party was already in full swing, high energy, festive vibes, and a crowd that came to celebrate. The Armenian and Israeli groups around us brought incredible energy that was absolutely contagious. Our server was excellent, the drinks kept coming thanks to the attentive runners, and the food! Top-tier. Steak, shrimp, sea bass — all cooked to perfection. Then came the live music and stage show… it was captivating. A truly immersive, one-of-a-kind experience. And the best part? We weren’t even celebrating anything. Just a casual Saturday night that turned into something magical. Can’t wait to go back — maybe next week. William John Lee

What an incredible place ! The Mainro has a high level atmosphere that feels unique from the moment you arrive. The energy builds through the night bottles flowing, flags waving, and incredible live acts on stage. From aerialists and magicians to the sounds of trumpet and saxophone, the talent is outstanding. The music is a beautiful mix of arabic, armeno euro latino influences, celebraring guests and giving the night a truly cosmopolitan vibe. The food is international, with Asian, French, and American flavors all on one menu. I got Crispy Shrimp, mainro maki, and rib eye. Accomplice Bar is a cozy and laid-back spot with a local feel, offering classic cocktails, beer, wine, and American bites. Located within Mar Vista's Little Fatty, it features an L-shaped bar with an ever-changing cocktail menu curated by beverage director Ramsey Musk. The bar offers daily happy hour specials and creatively incorporates lesser-known Asian ingredients into familiar cocktails. Guests can also enjoy Taiwanese soul food from the adjacent Little Fatty restaurant while sipping on their drinks.
Atmosphere 8.5/10 Located on a main street. Pretty unique concept with 2 main bars designed as the focus of the room, back-to-back to each other, in 2 basically separated rooms. Cool vibe, nice crowd. Backbar looks impressive. Drinks 7/10 Recommendation: - Creative menu with 12 different cocktails, representing 12 different personalities. Minus points for the QR-online-only menu. Glassware and coasters are very nice and feel upscale. However, the drinks did not taste great… the flavors felt a bit off. Relatively simple garnish. Service 7/10 Friendly and skilled bartender team. Water served immediately. Prices are slightly above average for LA.

This creative bar offers an Asian fusion menu that blends traditional Chinese dishes with American Chinese favorites. The food strikes a balance between authenticity and accessibility, leaning slightly toward the American palate. Dishes like the green scallion pancake and walnut shrimp represent this mix well. My personal favorite is the Chinese BBQ pork, made with pork shank — perfectly crispy on the outside and tender within. The XO fatty noodles are another standout, especially as a satisfying late-night pairing with drinks. The cocktail program is what originally drew me here. The menu is inspired by different neighborhoods across Los Angeles, each reflected in its flavor profile. For instance, Koreatown features a soju base, while Little Tokyo incorporates Japanese gin and sakura vermouth. Techniques are inventive as well — one cocktail is even aged in karas for a month, allowing the flavors to mellow and blend together seamlessly. Overall, this is a bar that combines creativity, cultural references, and technical precision, making it a memorable spot for both food and drink.

Such a fab local bar and eatery with delicious food and drink. We enjoyed the vegetarian options of the menu and were blown away with the delicate layered flavors that only a true chef can deliver. The vegan noodle dish was proper and the cucumber salad had excellent pickle action. Even the egg rolls had flavor. Shawna, the manager runs an excellent team. They work with great flow and everyone pitches in. Would highly recommend a reservation - we waited for about 30 minutes while nursing a couple of their specialty drinks. For those who prefer quiet restaurants- best to sit outside and to not go on the weekend.

We went on a Saturday fall night around 8pm. Free street parking after 8! The post office across the street had parking too but it’s $5/hr. We ordered the rosemary negroni and the strawberry Negroni since they were limited edition. They were both smooth and well balanced. You could definitely taste the spirit in the rosemary but it wasn’t abrasive. The strawberry one that came out of the fountain tasted like straight up juice. The description said it had champagne in it too but it wasn’t bubbly at all. They were served with the big cube of ice and a grapefruit rind for the strawberry one and. Rosemary sprig for the other. I’d try diff cocktail next time since I have to haha. We then ordered the veggie noodles. They were thinly rolled rice noodles that resembled rice cakes. That was a fun take on it. Less messy for dates. The greens served with them were not bitter at all. We asked for some chili oil and one of the servers brought it to us. I’d recommend for sure. Bad is open seating if you find a stool. The restaurant seemed to only take reservations.

Great food, great service. What’s not to like? Is it popular, and thus a bit crowded at times? Yes. Comes with the territory. We had the garlic noodles and dumpling appetizer. I enjoyed watching the bartender making about 30 different types of drinks while we sat at the bar. Whoa! Was that a mini flame thrower? Artfully scorched cocktail, coming right up. The best part of the night was how patient the serve were with all my questions (wow, what’s that? x 5, asking about beautiful drinks being made). Highly recommend this spot.

Had one of the best experiences here all around cocktails and drinks are phenomenal! Bar team knows their way around a great cocktail! West LA and Venice peeps need to make a visit!

Travelling for work and googled a bar with good food and so stumbled across the Accomplice Bar and Little Fatty as a recommendation... it did not disappoint! The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing! I had the Beef Chow Fun. So yummy! A great spot if like me, you're out on your own and fancy sitting at the bar for company (thanks Daniel for keeping my drinks topped up!) or if you're out with friends it has a fab atmosphere too.

I have tried to channel my inner FoodTV judge but I continually fail to think of anything that this place does that is not amazing. I have tried their Orange Chicken, Squid Ink Bao, Wontons, Pork Belly, Sizzling Black Pepper Beef and several other dishes that escape new right now and non of it had been anything less than amazing. As for their bar service, Oh. My. God. So good that it is dangerous. While I think that the Junglebird is my favorite, I have not had a single drink that could not be described as "expertly crafted". In short, I love Accomplice Bar and cannot recommend it highly enough.

$$$$very expensive
Night club
Bootsy Bellows, located on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, is a vaudeville-inspired hot spot co-owned by David Arquette. Open only on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday nights, it's a favorite among A-list celebrities like Justin Bieber and Chris Brown. The club offers puppet shows, DJ sets, live music, and burlesque acts in a space that exudes a whimsical 1960s vibe.
I've never had a bad time here. The main issue is the cover bounces around from $20 to $100 per person and it isn't particularly close to other fun bars, so its a gamble to show up. Once you're inside though the vibe is great and the marionettes are hilarious.
Daniel G — Google review
Literally an awful experience. The employees were ridiculously rude and disrespectful. They refused to give their name when asked and laughed in our faces. If giving this club 0 stars was possible, they would deserve it!
Brooklyn B — Google review
Paid $40 to get in then the bouncer said my ID was fake when it clearly wasn’t. Then none of them knew how to get my money back😂 scammers
Alec R — Google review
If giving zero stars was an option then I’d give it -5 stars. When my party arrived, just by looking at the people in line, I was thinking this was just a hole in the wall bar (we aren’t from LA, just visiting). People weren’t dressed up, some of the men had on sweatshirts and didn’t give the vibe that was about to greet us at the line. We inquired about the cover charge and were told that ladies are free and that the bouncer didn’t know what they are charging for men (that should have told me something right there lol). When we went to come through the line it was now $100 for EACH person (what happened to ladies being free within the 5 minutes of having a conversation about it with the other bouncer). See, the money was never the problem. It was the way the price went up when he saw we were a group of ethnic people and thought he could get over on us for it. Once we stepped out the way to figure out the next plan, we saw the same guy let in all the people that weren’t made like us. Here’s the kicker- most of the people at the door aren’t even white. The audacity lol. I hope the owner of this establishment sees this review and knows that your door guys are trash and are taking away from your business making money just to pocket it at the door. We came with over $2k to spend for the night but we only do business where we are welcomed and not greeted with the intentions of trying to bamboozle and hoodwink us. It must suck to suck and work a minimum wage job out here, where you have to steal at the door of your job just to be able to pay a bill. Good luck with all that.
Ke V — Google review
One bouncer told us $100 for men women free and if we wanted to skip the line $200 for men but when we decided to wait in line price all of sudden it was $100 a person we literally watch door guy let in several people in for free while we waited for Uber . We didn’t mind paying the money it was more about the principals it’s like trying scam us for money I don’t like race card but definitely let in all white people with no hassle. Not to mention we was 2 different groups our first group primarily white (men) paid $100 at the door and women FREE😑
Naim B — Google review
One of the most racist clubs at LA. The bouncers refused to let us in just because we were brown and he was letting all the white people get in for free of cost and asked us (me and my girlfriends) 100$ each. Its shameful that such racist behaviour is present even in today’s times. There were 6 people standing out which represented the club all of them did nothing and let us stand in the cold at night and were just plain rude and disrespectful. I hope no one faces this same problem and I hope this club is shut down soon.
Muskan S — Google review
I don’t know what happened after Covid but from my favorite place this turned to be my least favorite. The place is gorgeous but organization and promoters are ridiculous. My promoter did nothing but getting high and didn’t care about anything else. Rude, Long lines for bathroom and bad service. Not used to this kind of treatment in a club.
Ilenia F — Google review
I would give ZERO stars if I could! Will NOT ever go here again with all the rude employees here. I did not meet one nice person that works here. I am surprised they are even making it . I should have checked reviews first! Even if you know someone (ONLY way to get in) it is so not worth the time. AND EVEN THEN not letting someone in that KNOWS the owner and has confirmation on a tweet to have fun and shouldn't have a problem getting in??? WOW (that person didn't get in and left) When you go in it is very narrow sweaty hot and not a fun atmosphere. Bathroom was disgusting... its a step in and turn right back around. GROSS!!!! BOOTSY get it together with your workers. You can be firm and I understand you need to do that, but don't be just plain INHUMAN!!! I saw way to much of that and it made me sick!

Cocktail bar
Nestled in the charming neighborhood of Altadena, Good Neighbor Bar is a delightful cocktail haven that promises an unforgettable experience. This stylish establishment, crafted by the same talented team behind Everson Royce Bar and Vamos Vamos, boasts a chic yet relaxed atmosphere perfect for gathering with friends or enjoying some solo time. While there’s no food menu available inside, you can often find a pop-up serving delicious bites from the adjacent parking lot on weekends.
Unassuming, friendly, but not shy with a menu rich in interesting and intriguing mixes. A true gem in the Altadena neighborhood, unique in its location and what it offers. The most welcoming staff - thanks Miguel, Lani, and Art, for your hospitality! A place grounded on community and infused with sharing good times - and a great music playlist in the background. The drive up here will truly be worth it!

I recently visited Good Neighbor Bar and had a genuinely great time. The atmosphere is casual, stylish, and incredibly welcoming—true to its name, it really feels like a spot designed for the community. I met up with a few friends from the neighborhood, and it turned out to be the perfect place to catch up. The vibe is laid-back and unpretentious, with just the right mix of buzz and comfort. It’s the kind of bar where conversations flow easily, whether you’re with old friends or making new ones at the bar. I tried a French beer for the first time and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it—crisp, flavorful, and a nice departure from my usual go-to. The drinks were both affordable and thoughtfully selected, and the bartenders were knowledgeable without being overbearing. What really stood out was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and created a welcoming vibe that made the whole evening feel easy and enjoyable. If you’re in Altadena and looking for a spot that feels like home—where the drinks are good and the company even better—Good Neighbor Bar is definitely worth a visit.

Super laid back bar and it’s the perfect environment if you’re looking for somewhere to chill on a weekend without crazy amount of people. It was peaceful with small groups of party enjoying a good vibe. They don’t have any food but they do allow uber eating or bringing your own take out to enjoy the meal in, which brings this bar to their own style. Unlike other bars where they provide some pricey food. Drink prices were reasonable and isn’t crazy expensive. They also have a wine and spirit store next door to the bar entrance which I think it’s cool to see so you’re not intimidated to have to go into the bar to enjoy a cup of good drink, you can bring it home to enjoy. Will need to visit again for another chill night.
Nat A — Google review
Unpretentious, yet stylish atmosphere - a great option for date night, meeting with friends, or flying solo. The drink recipes are as thoughtful as the people & environment. Everyone here embodies the spirit of being a "good neighbor" and it's extremely comfortable and heartwarming to be part of. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and very welcoming. Prices are consistent with the LA area, but with quality guaranteed. Overall, Good Neighbor Bar is a real community gem.

Stopped by for happy hour and had a great time. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming—definitely lives up to the name. Drinks were both affordable and well-made. I tried a French beer for the first time and loved it, and the Old Fashioned was spot-on. Service was excellent—friendly and helpful staff who made the experience even better. A solid neighborhood spot worth checking out.

Had an amazing time here catching up with a good friend after enjoying the Thursday night wine tasting next door. Loved the décor and ambiance. Very clean and minimal without being boring. They played good music all night, lots of oldies, funk and soul, which is right up my alley. I was impressed by the exceptional service provided by Miguel behind the bar, who walked us through the menu and curated our experience. He is very obviously an professional of his craft. Thanks for showing us a good time, Miguel! We'll be back with more friends.

Cannot say enough good things about this neighborhood treasure-the first location to get a liquor license in Altadena since 1984, I think I heard? The cocktail menu is inventive and delicious. The servers and bartenders are always warm and a joy to spend time with.
Stephanie L — Google review
This is an excellent neighborhood bar. The nondescript exterior belies an atmospheric and comfortable space within. Bartenders are friendly. Drinks are well-made and elegantly presented. I don't believe there is a kitchen, but complementary popcorn is available. The parking lot is eponymously surrounded by a good-neighbor fence, and contains a moving memorial to the devastation of the Eaton Fire in the form of a map indicating lives lost and structures destroyed or damaged. Do give this place, and other businesses affected by the aftermath of the fire, your patronage.

Nestled in the intriguing Cahuenga Pass, "Night on Earth" is a cocktail bar that promises an unforgettable experience without unnecessary frills. This latest venture from the creators of Thunderbolt opened its doors recently and has quickly become a must-visit spot. As you step through its somewhat concealed entrance, you're greeted by a vibrant atmosphere featuring neon lights and a sleek bar top that feels almost otherworldly.
Branching out from the highly acclaimed cocktail bar Thunderbolt, Night on Earth recently opened on December 13th in a strip mall on Cahuenga Boulevard at the edge of Studio City. Me and my friend entered a nondescript door to reveal an effervescent backlit bar and lounge with neon trim. Quickly, we were greeted by an affable bartender and provided with cocktail menus. Right away, you could tell from the descriptions of each cocktail that the beverage program had a great deal of thought and creativity put into each drink. I started off with the OKAYOKAY, which has mango, mango distillate, campari, shochu, miso, and sherry. As Wes, the bartender explained, the mango is prepared dry to restrain it from overpowering the mix. As a result, it has a subtle flavor of mango that blends well with the rest of the ingredients. For the follow-up drink, me and my friend both tried the very curious concoction called the Earthling Standard containing smoked sunchoke & honey spirit, cucumber, cilantro distillate, orgeat, lime and pastis. It is one of the most creative cocktails I've ever tried. We both agreed it was unequivocally superb. Unique and delicious. The third and last cocktail of the evening for me was the Blockbuster, which includes movie theater butter bourbon, maillard and salt. It seemed quite appropo for the area, which overlooks NBC Universal and is not far from Warner Bros. It has plenty of spirit potency, and you can definitely taste the subtle infusion of buttered popcorn. There is a vending machine with a variety of packaged Japanese snacks but no prepared food program as of yet. Night on Earth is definitely going to take off once word gets around that they have some of the best cocktails in town. Recommend checking it out before there's a line out the door.

So very excited to have a crafty and unique cocktail bar in the valley! Five out of five on service cocktails, atmosphere environment, lighting music… Literally everything! Brian and the rest of the staff were very attentive and even did some dealers choice for our group. We will absolutely be back! Thank you for adding such a great cocktail bar tour our neighborhood!!! Also Love you can bring outside food in as they do not serve food. The spot next-door was impressing impeccable!

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a standout cocktail bar in town—this place is a rare gem. The drinks are some of the most inventive and technically refined I’ve ever had, with bold, surprising flavor profiles that feel both sophisticated and approachable. Every cocktail is crafted with care and precision, yet nothing about the experience feels overworked or forced—just effortlessly excellent. The atmosphere hits a sweet spot that’s hard to find. The retrowave decor is stylish without trying too hard—cool, minimal, and full of character. The soundtrack leans into dark ’80s tones, setting a moody, cinematic backdrop that elevates the entire space. With a live DJ curating the vibe and drinks that push boundaries, this bar isn’t just a place to grab a cocktail—it’s a place you remember. Can’t recommend it enough.
Assaf S — Google review
Disappointing. Arrived at 7 on a Saturday night, bar was totally dead. All cocktails are pre-mixed so no chance to watch and learn and the barmen didn’t offer much chat. They did sell mini cocktails which was helpful but if the drinks are - ‘Some of the best cocktails in the US’ then this has to be based on technical factors not the joy of mixology. Bar was no busier when we left after 8 feeling disappointed and possibly victim to a smart organised online review manipulation!
Jonathan T — Google review
Fantastic cocktail program and genuinely warm hospitality. I loved the Skip The Brine cocktail. The vibe is futuristic disco meets cozy lounge; retro glam with just the right amount of edge. It might be just a little too moody though, we had to use our phone flashlights to read the menu…which made us feel about fifteen years older than we are. The location is a bit off the beaten path so fingers crossed they catch on fast. A place this cool deserves a crowd.

The decor features a delightful mix of tropical and nautical elements, including a bubbling fountain that adds to its allure.
Adorable new classy cocktail bar. Very well crafted unique selection. Smoking patio and the most gorgeous decor. Music is romantic/ chill. Come on down!

Any spot that devotes an entire menu page to each cocktail already has my respect (as if my respect is worth a damn) Drinks were strong and unique (like my loving wife, my one and only!) and while I didn’t LOVE them (but I do love my wife), I appreciated the creativity. Anise in the Midsommar drink was a bit overpowering and I’m not the biggest fan of licorice. Sesame highball was perfect if you love sesame. But I’ll come back and try a couple others. Most importantly? FREE popcorn! 🍿 no but seriously I went up and got like 9 little boats of refills and people started to look at me with real judgy eyes. SHUT UP and let me enjoy my popcorn. It’s all I have. Things in 2025 have been going pretty terrible personally I don’t wanna get into it but the vibes here are cool!
Cordero R — Google review
A cocktail bar that’s hidden in the city grid, but it charmed me real quick. The vibe is retro-funky with CDs lining the walls and a quiet lounge feel. My first drink—an herbaceous gin concoction—was smooth and surprising. You feel like you’re invited to a private party no one else knows about. A mellow spot to unwind and linger
Jamal — Google review
Completely falsely named 😂 I walked in here as a 100 foot distance neighbor, and an obviously (done up) gay male neighbor at that, I was hoping to make this a regular spot to stop in for drinks and socializing… seeing two female bartenders I immediately felt safe and comfortable, but that completely changed when we started to interact. I was treated like a problem from the moment I walked through the door, was condescended to by the bar patrons as well as the 2 bartenders because I assume they thought I was hitting on them? It was an extremely odd vibe, and every time I attempted to engage in conversation or even ask questions like “cash or credit tip preferred?” I was gawked at like some strange spectacle. I had high hopes for this place based on reviews but they are absolutely NOT gay friendly especially for single gays…
Loris L — Google review
Real Charmer lives up to the name—it’s a busy, cute late-night spot with tons of personality. Their take on the martini was absolutely delicious, and I loved the creativity and phrasing on their drink menu. It’s playful, well-crafted, and just a fun place to be. Perfect for a nightcap with character!

10/10 Negroni 100/10 daiquiri (literally how did you do that). We are coming back until we taste our way through the menu, everything was insane! All of the little touches (we were geeking over ice cubes - what). Immaculate vibes, staff was so nice. We'll def be back earlier to beat the crowd and to try out the musubi x martini situation :) this is the only stupid photo I got but I'm adding it anyways for engagement and bc I loved the idea of bad mouth even tho rumplemintz is terrifying
