I called before I went to make sure they accepted cards. Thankfully they do 🙌🏽 I got there at 7pm and they close at 8pm so I didn't want to waste time going to the bank 😅. I got the #2 which is a large combination beef. (#1 is a regular combination beef) .. as you can see I dress my soup up really spicy with all the fixings but I tasted the broth before I added everything and the broth was really delicious. It tasted really smooth and delicious, very authentic. I went by myself for the first time was a little nervous but it was actually a great experience. They have plenty of tables for pairs, if you're eating by yourself or in groups. They have a mini fish pond in the front when you first come in. I forgot to take a picture of that and they have a TV. They were playing the basketball game when I got there. I highly recommend, the staff was really nice and helpful, take your friends and your family. It was delicious

Best pho ever, and that delicious broth was amazing! The Royal pork egg rolls and shrimp spring rolls are a must have! Great atmosphere and service! Beyond impressed I will definitely return soon!

Love this spot! We are always on the hunt for some authentic and delicious Pho and I believe we have found THE spot to go to. Pho 87 was as surprising as it was delicious. Busy when we went but little to no wait. We got the oxtail pho. So tasty and fulfilling. We left with full belly. Service was 10/10 and fast. Recommend for anyone foodie

I came here straight after work so they close at 8 and I got her at 715. The pho flavor was watered down I could taste the anise and cloves but it tasted as if some water was added to it. Still has flavor just lighter than others I’ve had, perhaps I came right before closing and they were running out of broth? Any way I’ll come back and give the pho another shot! However the shrimp fried rolls were 🔥 fire ! 5/5 for those and fresh too!

August 2025: Second time visiting this place and really enjoyed my pastrami sandwich. Last time, I had the pastrami sandwich and thought it was one of the best I've had. So naturally, I had to have it again! I wasn't disappointed. Last time I had the half sandwich and the Matzo ball soup. It was delicious 😋. This time, I wanted to have a salad so I get some vegetables. Super delicious sandwich! Paired with pickles, coleslaw and a salad, I was very happy 😊. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back again.

The 555 sandwich is hands down my favorite sandwich of all time! Nothing comes close! My son ordered the rueben pastrami and he loved it! The only downside to this place is the french fries. Brent’s was recommended by a coworker and I was not disappointed. The pastrami on rye bread had different seasoning that I was not used to on other pastrami sandwiches . Definitely recommend getting the juice that comes with it to dip your sandwich in. Overall, very good and unique.

First time trying Cambodian noodles, thanks to a local friend’s recommendation. The place has a cozy vibe — packed with Cambodian locals even during a late weekday lunch, which says a lot. We ordered the house special noodles, which come with a bowl of flavorful broth and a big bone on the side, plus the tomato noodle soup. Both were delicious. I especially loved the liver in the house special — wish I had asked for extra. Both soups were completely new flavors to me, but I enjoyed them both. Prices are very affordable, especially for how much food you get.

The food was absolutely amazing!! the staff was very patient and explained all the condiments and the menu items to us as it was our first time. I would highly recommend the beef and meatball with thick rice noodles. The broth was really flavorful and all the sauces available tasted great.

Breakfast and lunch menu This place is small and busy but the flavors are there and the quality is great! Everyone we're in Cambodia town, we try new spots to try. I'm glad we found this before they got packed. Waiting list is outside and the lines get long but it's worth it. The khatiev broth is clean, crisp and light. The noodles are cooked perfectly.

This is comfort food. Every time I go I order the tomato beef stew with thick noodles. I sometimes get the standard Thai tea with meals. The only downside is that the place is so popular that there might be a wait to get seated. This is my go-to restaurant when family and friends visit Long Beach.

You have such good food. Fresh ingredients! Honestly I have been eating Thai food since the late 70s. Cambodia and Thai food are like sisters. I drive 40 minutes to eat your food. Please keep up the great restaurant food and hey please open up a restaurant in the South Bay!

We ordered their special dry noodle, but unfortunately, it was too sweet for our taste, and the noodles were overcooked. The restaurant's location in a poor neighborhood and has no parking, made street parking a challenge.

October 24th 2024. I followed the LA try guy's adviceto this place called Akee Bamboo in Leimert Park to try out the Jamaican oxtails and curry goat with white rice steamed cabbage and jerk chicken salad. I want to start off positive by saying the atmosphere was great the restaurant was clean the service was great. However the food was not great the white rice was so mushy could have been mashed potatoes and the curry goat and the oxtails and the jerk chicken all have the same flavor to it nothing different the steamed cabbage had no seasoning to it. If you were looking for authentic Jamaican food this is not the place. I will not be returning to this place if you are looking for something to fill your belly I would go here but if you were looking for flavor and quality I would not good luck.

The oxtail was delicious and the salad was good too. Portions were large. We split an oxtail for two. The flavors were off the charts. And a great way to end an afternoon of walking and shopping through Leimart park.

Acee Bamboo is my favorite Jamaican Restaurant in Los Angeles the food is amazing!!. The seasonings the flavor are perfect! Oxtails cooked to perfection! The rice cabbage plantains and festival bread are divine! My favorite Jamaican eatery hands down!!! Please open back up! Please!!!

Came here for some Jamaican food after the MLK parade. It's a nice little restaurant. And the food was really good. Shared a beef patty with my buddy and I had the curry chicken wrap. Service was friendly and quick. Will come back.

Huge portions and the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had. It’s even better than the food I had in Jamaica. The vegan options are ridiculously delicious and the portion sizes are huge. We had the small boxes and it was enough to food us twice each. Also the hot apple and spicy melon ginger beers are a solid 11/10. Takes a bit of time to recover the food but the wait is well worth it.

It's very good. I think a little pricey for what you get though. We have a combo Jerk chicken, curry goat and rice & peas. Coupled with, wings, 2 patties and root beer, around $70 so not sure. Worth a try for sure, the flavour alone is great.

This place should be rated 5 stars ya’lll!!! Like it’s a small hole in the wall but it provides fresh delicious good quality pho! I mean the broth was amazing alone. I got the oxtail (it is cooked in bone broth for 7 hours!) They also have Waygu options as well I added that to my oxtail pho! Bomb! Even the rice vermicelli noodles were high quality! A lot of pho places they break apart easily and lose their chewiness; but here they were still chewy and not too soft! They didn’t break apart like others! My hubs had the spring rolls and they were also packed with veggies and flavor! Also came with three tasting dipping sauces !!! I also ❤️ LoVE the fact that they had two types of chilli sauces! I love chili oil ! A lot of places only have sriracha.

I tried KTOWN PHO for the first time and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Wagyu House Pho and it was absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and came with a generous portion of meat. I paired it with a Thai tea, which was perfectly refreshing and balanced the meal so well. Service was quick, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

I had the vegan pho, and it was delicious. Everything was as it should be. Tasty and fresh. Good flavor, huge portion. Great spot if you love pho. They have many more varieties. If you don't prefer the soup, they do have big salads with everything in.

This was one of if not the best bowl of pho I’ve ever had in all of America I added tendon to my pho and it was some of the nicest cleanest pieces of tendon I’ve ever had in pho And the ox tail was INSANE 100% worth the price

It’s an interesting entryway. There’s parking in the back but I just found street parking. You first walk in before you turn left and then the pho restaurant is to your right. I came alone but the staff was super friendly! I got the filet mignon pho with a Thai iced tea. I love that they add sliced ginger on top. The Thai tea was a bit too sweet but the ice evened it out. I enjoyed coming here and I’m glad I took a long drive to try it out!

I originally planned to go to pho consume but unfortunately by the time I arrived the kitchen was closed. So decided to go to the Boiling point but the line was too long and was too hungry to wait. So decided to try pho so 1. No line, no waiting...was seated immediately. The restaurant is clean with plenty of indoor seating. I ordered the regular pho. The staff was friendly but got my order a bit wrong. I asked for no tripe but still got tripe. I also asked for only half the amount of noodles but got the regular amount. I mentioned it to the server but he just smiled. Portions are adequate. Price is a dollar or two more than what it should be. Probably not returning. Next time I'll either arrive early at pho consume or go to pho daily that's also good and I think they're open until 1am.

Very glad I came here. I read some of the reviews, but my experience was very very good. I don’t know why this place is not rated higher. 🦆I had the duck soup large with clear noodles and it was yummy with plenty of duck. 🍤I also got a shrimp vermicelli bun to go that was just okay. ⚠️Also, you probably want to double check your togo orders; they accidentally gave me pork sausage instead of shrimp paste 🤮 so I had to throw it out. Service was very good and very attentive.

My partner and I went to Pho So two weekends ago. She is a Pho connoisseur, and she loves it, so we keep trying new places over the city. So far, we've had deliciously good, amazing Pho. However, our experience here was terrible. The waiter couldn't even listen or care to take our order right. They serve us the wrong thing. Also, when serving, they didn't check back on us. They literally pushed the plate of soup as if when you're serving it to prisoners or something. I think if I could've given them zero stars for service, I would. The food was average, but... that was my experience I’m not saying don’t go.

It has been years now....and they stay consistent. Fast Service...great Food.. chill family atmosphere. Free Parking. In Gardena there is no better Pho than Pho So 1. Give me that Pho number 1 special Large with extra noodles and extra Brisket 🤯🥰

We had lunch here one day during our trip. It is a typical casual Viet joint. We tried the Pho of course, Shrimp & Pork w/ Rice Noodle Rolls, and Egg Rolls. Food is mediocre imo. However the Natural Shake of Durian Drink was quite good. It’s not too sweet nor too overwhelming, very refreshing! We ended up getting the smoothies 3 times during our one week visit in LA!

Definitely one of the best Vietnamese restaurants around. Be ready for a wait if you are going on Saturday for lunch, the space is limited and it gets packed. It is worth the wait though, the food is delicious and authentic. The number 44 Bun Chao Tom comes with their signature egg rolls that deserve the praise. Staff are friendly and helpful and food come quickly.

My girlfriend loves this place, especially the eggrolls. She’s quite picky with pho, too, so this hits the spot for her. The pho broth is great. Doesn’t taste bland, sweet, or like it has too much msg. They also had chili oil!! I am one of those who loves chili oil in my pho, so this got me super excited. Only problem was that it wasn’t really tasty. Just simply tasted like chili and oil, no aromatics or additional flavor. The eggrolls were extremely delicious with such a crispy/crunchy texture. I’d say one of the best I’ve had at a restaurant for sure! Although, I still don’t know if I can agree on the price at $15.50. I’d assume it is due to the difficulty of preparing and the complimentary herbs/lettuce, but each to their own on that opinion. Service was extremely quick and food came out extremely fast for the two bowls of pho and eggrolls. Water was always topped off before I get a chance to notice and I drink a lot of water. Definitely a 10/10 on that, too! We will be back when we’re in the area again! Thank you :)

We've gotten a bit picky about pho since we went to Vietnam a couple of times and find many of the pho we try in the US not as flavorful as we'd like, but this was the best we've had in a long time. We both had a pho tai and split the cha gio. The fried spring rolls were delicious, fairly big, and came with all the herbs and vegetables you could want. This is definitely our new go-to for pho! The staff were friendly and the meal was very efficient. It's a busy place. We went around 5:45 on a Friday and we're seated immediately but when we came back out about 40min later, there were groups waiting outside.

No service for take out. They just want you to in and out. It’s fine as long as food is good. I came here because of the high reviews but man the meat in the pho was like rubber. I had to throw away almost all the meat. What a waste!

It was the first time I came to San Gabriel and I learned that this is a very popular Vietnamese restaurant, so I gave it a try. I arrived at noon on Saturday, and there were many customers. We had tried their fried spring rolls. The deliciousness was really amazing. I was pleasantly surprised. In addition, the beef noodle soup is very sweet, and the portion is sufficient. Although the taste is not top-notch, it is pretty good.

Joan’s on Third has the best Chinese chicken salad! I’ve ordered their short rib sandwich too- which is also delicious. I’ve never been to one in person, but this weekend I ventured my way here. I was surprised to see they had breakfast options! Although we didn’t order it, their corned beef hash looked amazing. They also have so many goodies. It was like Disneyland inside. They had ice cream, a dessert area, snacks, candies, and food options in the cases like quiches, lasagna, meatballs… They have open seating. It was crowded on a Saturday but the service was great and the food came out quick and hot. Definitely need to check this place out if you’re in the area and want a delicious bite to eat!

I love this place! Good food. Tons of options. Clean. Tons of seating. Outdoor as well. Quick and easy. Amenities like a water stand and sinks outside of the bathroom to wash your hands, etc. very thoughtful layout. All sorts of drinks and snacks and pastries in addition to a breakfast menu and lunch options that are ready made including hot and cold items.

Shortrib sandwich was really as good as they say. The turkey club did not disappoint either. Happy to have experienced what all the hype was about. Would love to come back for so much more that was offered.

Great service. The food is freshly prepared as you can tell by the way it tastes & arrives hot. I haven't tried everything on the menu besides just a few breakfast items. The staff is friendly & & brings food to tables. It's pricier than most other market cafes, but I enjoy the ample seating & ambiance.

After what seems like forever, I finally got to try Din Tai Fung. I'l list what we ordered and give a review at the end! Brace yourselves: Matcha milk tea. Amaretto sour. Cucumber salad. Pork Xiao Long Bao. Chicken fried rice. Bok Choy. Garlic green beans. Noodles with spicy sauce. And lastly, the chocolate & mochi Xiao long bao w/ cream sauce. I won't lie. I went in with no expectations solely because it is so popular. I was worried it might be overhyped, but I was wrong. Everything was so delicious. The chocolate mochi was my favorite though and a must get. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and our waitress is so friendly, and so bubbly, I would love to have her again on my next visit. They blew me away & per my friends it’s consistent. So do with that information what you will, but I say it's worth the visit!

This restaurant was on our list. We tried to get in without a reservation a couple of times. The wait time was too long. I made an online reservation and the available date was 3 days after my preferred date and time. We tried it for the first time at the Glendale location. I still don't get what all the fuss is about this restaurant. We tried 4 or 5 dishes. We liked 2. That famous dim sum dumplings (we got pork and chicken) tasted too porky, and I tasted the raw dough. The beef with veggies was good. The quality of the filet mignon was good. The service was 5-star. Our waitress, Crystal, was very professional and smiley. The overall atmosphere was so-so. We had that feeling of urgency, like we had limited time to eat and go.

I think the atmosphere and the service of the place is great and may warrant a fancy get up. I must warn this place is quite expensive for what I think, is lack luster. The food it self, is above okay at best. I’ve tried a few dumpling places and they all taste too doughy. Even if that is personal preference, I think the food does lack any complexity. Referring to placing like Pick Up sticks, I think it’s night and day difference in pricing, complexity, and overall value for the food. The famous dumplings and soup dumplings are also okay, they don’t have an inherent complexity and its simplicity is too basic to say much about it. As I said similar to another similar place, I think the Costco dumplings are better and way more cost effective for the prices. The desert dumplings were good, with a nice wake milk chocolate inside. I think you should check this place out to see if it’s your cup of tea. I would also highly recommend you try the Costco dumplings or simply visit pick up sticks to reference the complexity I talk about in these reviews (Not sponsored).

I had such a great time at Din Tai Fung in The Americana, Glendale! The moment I walked in, I could tell it was one of those places that’s fancy but still comfortable. The vibe is sleek and modern without being too stuffy, and it really set the tone for a fun evening. We were seated right away thanks to our reservation, which was a huge win. The staff was super friendly and gave us some great recommendations. Everything went smoothly from the start, which was exactly what you want when you're hungry and excited. Now, the food. It was amazing. We kicked things off with the Cucumber Tower, which was super refreshing and packed with flavor. Then we had the Chicken Noodle Soup, which was the perfect comfort food—so rich and satisfying. The Pork and Chicken Dumplings were absolutely delicious, with the perfect mix of textures. And for dessert, we went for the Chocolate Dumplings, which were so good. The warm, melty chocolate inside was the perfect end to the meal. As for parking, it’s not free, so I ended up parking in the mall lot nearby. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind if you’re in a rush. At least you get to walk around The Americana, which is always a nice touch. Overall, I had such a positive experience. The food, the vibes, and the service were all spot on. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to, and I’d highly recommend it if you're in the area!

Upscale but relaxed and casual- nice vibes. We had a great view of the open kitchen from where we sat. However, the good feelings waned along the way. It was a very busy restaurant without doubt but we were still a little unhappy when told some items were sold out as it was only 7.30 p.m. I felt the food was pretty ordinary or perhaps my expectations were high. The chowders were diluted and I highly recommend giving it a miss. The portions were rather small.

I came to experience, George’s of Galilee, Rocky Point, Lidos beach and other memories of the Rhode Island summers I remember as a kid. It did not disappoint! The chowdah and clam cakes were definitely a higher level that those RI slots but very good. The whole fried clams (with the bellies) outstanding and what I originally came for. They were exactly as I remember and more! My server Lawrence very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back!! It is NE clam heaven right here in LA ❤️

Connie and Ted’s will always be one of my most favorite seafood restaurants. I highly recommend and thoroughly enjoyed their Jo’s Wicked Good Chowda (Sampler of Three - New England, Manhattan, and Rhode Island Clear), oysters and lobster!!! I always look forward to coming back.

Excellent service, the waitstaff was wonderful and very attentive. The maine lobster cooked to perfection- slid out the shell (and having grown up in Boston, you better believe I know lobster!)and the squash dish was unique and delicious. My son and his family all said what they ordered was delicious too (hamburgers, steak). The atmosphere was terrific in a wonderful area. We were on a private terrace outside lovely! So happy we came here for my 69th bday! Will definitely come here again and again.

I planned to visit for lunch when it turned out the inside dining area was closed and they only had takeout, with a few tables of outdoor seating on the sidewalk which was rather disappointing. The food itself was quite good and I had gotten the lunch set. The guy at the cashier recommended the spicy beef salad which was very flavorful with a good amount of beef. The Pad Thai was good but not too remarkable. Overall, the portions felt kinda small for the price.

Fast and good service. The food was alright. We ordered 2 Pad Thai, and 1 Thai fried rice, but for some reason both the pad Thai taste different. They’re not the same flavor so it’s probably 2 different chiefs who cooked. I was glad mine tasted better than my man. However, it’s not necessarily the best either.

This is hands down the best Thai spot on the westside! I ordered catering for my office and was very pleased with the set-up, presentation and care of how the food was left. Everything carefully labeled and fluffed, spices ready to be added. The employees just had to follow their noses into the kitchen. Everyone was talking about how tasty it was the rest of the day.

The Spicy Basil Fried Rice with shrimp was amazing (preferably without the egg). The service was awesome and the food was served fast.

I came here for the first time due to a recommendation from a friend and it was absolutely worth it. The staff were lovely, our server kept our cups full and dishes cleared off the table. The food was unbelievably delicious. I got a katsu chicken and rice bowl, which came with a miso soup (a favorite of mine) and this coleslaw type salad that I was unsure about initially but ended up devouring. For appetizers, we ordered gyozas, takoyaki, and tofu nuggets. By the end of it, my friends and I were stuffed and satisfied. Very highly recommend this place. 10/10

Best ramen ever in our opinions and we have tried a lot of ramen all over the world! The katsu curry is ridiculously good as well. Service is attentive but they're so busy so it isn't super personal. Fairly loud if anyone in your group is hearing impaired.

No Frills Classic Ramen With Stellar Japanese Menu. Really impressed by the portions they give you, especially if you order the Combination Ramen, comes with the delicious house cabbage salad and you have a variety of options for your other dish. Chicken Karage with egg was DELICIOUS and honestly might even be the sleeper hit of the menu. Classic Daikokuya Ramen is the way to go, hearty and rich in broth and can be customized for how spicy you like it with the bottles on the table.

Visited on a Tuesday almost right when they opened and the place was full within the hour. Cannot wait to visit again and try more menu items. The fried rice was delicious, probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Also tried the spicy vegan ramen and it was so flavorful, the only thing was it wasn’t spicy at all so not sure if the spice was just really mild or they forgot to make it spicy; it had the right color, just no chili flakes like other spicy ramen bowls we ordered.

The ramen was yummy and served super quickly. The staff was friendly and offered to refill my water cup multiple times. Not the best ramen I had in my life, but good and tasty, and served quickly. Good option if you are on the go.

The worst ramen I’ve ever had in the US. Bland and flavorless. And not everything has to be smothered with teriyaki sauce. The charsui pork bowl is grilled, charred with teriyaki sauce. It should be just chopped charsui, green onions and maybe some kewpie mayonnaise. I want the taste of the charsui pork, not the sweet, sugary sauce.

Food amazing. Place is cool and always busy. But how you gonna charge for some lemon wedges??? I get extra items in my soup but lemon wedges? Weird. Besides that love this place.

This could've been a 5 stars but the service was a bit interesting. I'll start with the positives though. Phenomenal food!! The Chickpea Curry, the Mapo tofu and the Kaya Toast were all very delicious. Everything was bursting with flavor, was spiced correctly and just felt so homey. Honestly, everyone should eat here because the food is that good. Where things were lacking though was the service. It seemed like we were being rushed and there was so much space still available. I do have to say, it wasn't as pricy as we thought it was going to be either which was a nice plus.

If you like big, bold, spicy flavors, this is the place to visit! From the Singaporean Chili Crab to the Spicy Minced Duck Dan Dan Noodles, the dishes felt like an endless explosion of spices. And yes, the chef brings the heat. We also had the Crawfish Toast which was sweet and savory and the Kon Loh Mee which had a great, smoked char siu mixed in. Overall a great meal and probably the best I've had in LA. Definitely worth a visit if you like spices!

The food is so good. The Sunbathing Prawns are super spicy and is served cold. It is good spicy tho. The beef and half chicken are also good. It is pricey but I think it is worth visiting. We ordered for 2 and it is around $250-$300

So good, can’t wait to go back and experience this again plus try different dishes. Definitely make a reservation. Parking - it’s LA so you’re either doing street parking or valet. I think it was $12 to valet. Service was good, food was quick, go with friends/family so you can try more things. The prawns are a must, heads up they have a spicy kick, but the lime really helps even out the flavors. The scallop dish is something I’d order again, very light, refreshing, flavors were delicious, great balance. The naan and curry with the fresh herbs was so comforting, wish there was more naan on the plate. Kaya toast, we actually ordered 2, that’s how good it was, wish it had a smidge more of the soy sauce but something everyone should experience. Water spinach was okay.. next time I’m getting the Chinese broccoli for sure. The chicken dish was a favorite, 100% getting this any time I come here, the sauce was lick the plate worthy, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Honestly it’s 1 of 2 chicken dishes I’ve ever eaten that I would recommend to people to order. The kon loh mee would be a pass for me, it was just okay. Both desserts were good. The coconut sorbet was creamy and I liked the hint of cinnamon and we loved the crunchy coconut. The Vietnamese coffee pudding was awesome with legit coffee flavors. I saw pics on their IG of the pudding with cookies, ours didn’t come with any, but it should’ve because it would’ve been a nice texture contrast to the pudding. Overall dining experience for the $$$ = totally worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the dining atmosphere.

Yep yep yep, this is the place for my stomach and taste buds to live out their most delicious secret fantasies. We ordered the chickpea curry, the sunbathing prawns, the Dan Dan noodles, the beef rendang and the pork belly noodles. The chickpea curry was my favorite, and the Dan Dan noodles a very close second. The sunbathing prawns were unlike anything I’d ever tasted. Incredible. Truly. Everything was perfect. I foresee us coming back in the near future. Nicole provided such a wonderful experience for us and we loved the smoky old fashioned she created. Thank you so much for a truly special evening.

Everything was pretty good except papaya salad and the noodles. I wish papaya salad was cut in smaller and had more flavors and ingredients, smaller portions. Taste wasn’t so good. Also I wanted noodle to be more harder. It was too soft. Their curry and pita bread was amazing, spicy wontons were good, and seafood platters were great too.

What an awesome experience any foodie would enjoy! The service was friendly and responsive. The food even better. Healthy shareable size portions of meticulously prepared Southeast Asian inspired cuisine. Don't skip the spicy wontons. Homemade and fresh that serve up just enough spice to make your lips and tongue tingle while making it hard to stop enjoying their deliciousness. The spicy crawfish also deliver on their promise of spicy but again not over powering the sense of taste. The noodles have that awesome snap and chew while not creating a jaw exercise. Our final dish was the lemongrass chicken fried rice, also a good dish, while lacking the fire power of the first two courses. Next visit I am going for the spicy lamb, which I heard is also one of their best dishes. Parking in SanMo can be a challenge when there isn't a parking deck close by, but I found 3 hour parking right in front of the restaurant. It seemed very easy to locate parking in the area near the restaurant. Reservations are pretty much a must.

Never a bad experience, I’ve loved every meal at Petit Trois. Exceptional food, great quality, amazing flavors, rich, bold, and filling! May be pricey but you get big portions. Always gotta get the big Mec. One of the best burgers in LA. The omelette is always perfect. the Croque Madame is one of the few you can find made right in LA. The steak frites are also a must!

Having travelled around the world, I already know how French onion soup tastes, and the same goes with a burger. My wife and I went to Petit Trois expecting a “good” version of these from Chef Ludo. Instead, we were treated to a surprise, an almost magical one. The soup was divine. The burger, the Big Mec, was heaven bite after bite after bite. It’s a small yet very cozy place, just like a beautiful cafe/bistro in France, and we appreciated the superb service from start to the very finish. And how they appreciated our flying in thousands of miles to (finally) try Chef Ludo’s masterpieces. Definitely a highlight of our trip. Merci beaucoup, Petit Trois! More power!

This is my aunt’s favorite place and now I know why. The food and service were exemplary. I’m not a fan of driving to this area, but I cannot wait to come here again. The chicken liver was amazing and the duck was cooked to perfection. They’re located in the east side of Highland just north of Melrose. Small parking lot, paid valet only but if you’re lucky you can get street parking. Bar seating inside but they have patio seating as well.

This was truly one of the best French dining experiences I’ve ever had. The ingredients were exceptional in quality, and the tomato salad stood out with its fresh, vibrant flavor. Every main course was impressive—especially the Duck Confit, perfectly prepared with tender texture and rich taste. Both the chocolate soufflé and chocolate mousse are must-tries. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere warm and elegant. I’ll definitely be returning.

This was my first visit to Petjt Trois and wow, it really is as good as they say. Every dish we ordered was executed by well and the service by our server Jake was excellent. Dishes which stood out to me were the endives and big mec burger. Their fries are amazing!! They have some good wine offerings and their cocktails were also delicious. It was quite packed when we were there but the ambiance remained casual and relatively quiet. The restaurant is in a bit of a weird location and is divided into 3 areas: 2 indoor dining rooms and an outdoor area. It was still too cold to sit outside when we came so we opted for indoors. Parking at their lot is valet only but there is some street parking available.

We had such an amazing experience at Petit Trois thanks to our server, Zhene Miller. She was absolutely phenomenal warm, fun, and genuinely attentive. She always seemed to know exactly when to bring things out, and somehow managed to guess our tastes perfectly. Her customer care wasn’t just great, it was Oscar-worthy. If there were an Academy Award for “Best Server,” she’d win it without question. 100/10!

I kept seeing this burger on Instagram so I had to check it out for myself. I got there early. The host was very sweet and seated me right away and the server Jake was a really cool dude super friendly. I decided to order the burger obviously since I kept seeing it online and it was hands-down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. It was made fresh on the spot and I devoured it within minutes. My only regret is that I should have savoured ever bite and eaten it slower but I was hungry after fasting all day anyways, this place is super cute and I’ll definitely be back to try other options. They have what clearly tastes like a Michelin star chef in my opinion and I lived in France for a year so I would know. 5 stars all the way incredible flavors and top notch quality ingredients. I will definitely be back soon.

Honestly, giving this place even one star feels overly generous. My experience at Bao Dimsum was, without a doubt, one of the worst dim sum meals I've ever had. As someone who genuinely loves dim sum, I was profoundly disappointed. Every single dish we ordered lacked any semblance of freshness, and the taste ranged from bland to downright unappetizing. (If you want to add specifics here, feel free! For example: "The shrimp dumplings were rubbery," or "The xiao long bao had no soup, just a dry filling.") It's hard to say if it was the ingredients, the preparation, or both, but with every bite, my disappointment grew. The overall quality of the food was so poor that I felt like I wasted my money. I would never consider returning, nor would I recommend this establishment to anyone. If you're looking for an enjoyable dim sum experience, steer clear of Bao Dimsum.

The food here is so fun and delicious. There’s something really enjoyable about ordering a bunch of different dumplings and sharing with the table. As a vegetarian, I had plenty of food options. The corn ribs are AMAZING! I’ll be singing about them for days. We will definitely be back soon for more.

Soooo goood! My favorite was the bok choy with garlic and the scallion pancake. The calamari was also really good with a squeeze of lemon. I also tried the chrysanthemum tea and that was perfect! I got there for happy hour and prices were pretty decent. 10/10

Good place to enjoy some Chinese food. But the menu for dim sam is limited. And I don’t think the soup dumplings were house made. I like the radish and ham cake.

I think the food here is good but I’m Irritated with how yall don’t advertise your food properly. I ordered a sesame chicken as advertised in this image on their menu. Instead of big chunks of breaded chicken, I got tiny bits of mostly breading with green onions and no chili peppers. The food was good, but this was not what I wanted and not what I ordered. Also the prices on your menu don’t match what comes on the check. If rice is extra, denote that properly as a separate item. I don’t like feeling like I’m getting tricked or lied to, whether it be the prices on the menu or the amount of meat in an entree.

Came here with a friend after we realized that the wait time for 鼎泰豐 (Din Tai Fung) was 180 minutes (yes, 3 whole hours) on a Saturday night. The experience here was JUST AS GOOD as you would have gotten at 鼎泰豐 (Din Tai Fung) but with a lot less of a wait time. All of the juicy dim sums were great, especially the pork and the Korean Barbecue one. The Honey Walnut Shrimp is also a total home run and the service was fast and attentive. 100% recommended!

Honestly, I don’t see the hype about this place. I got the beef bukkake udon with an added egg. It was just boring. The noodles were fresh but it didn’t taste anything mind blowing. The service was also very mid. I honestly didn’t know how to eat the cold udon and all I tasted was the daikon so I prob did it completely wrong but they didn’t seem to care. They were very curt with words until I left.

The wait time around 7pm was around 15min, given that most parties did not show up or left, which worked in our advantage. The House signature dishes are fantastic. The creamy Uni udon was fantastic. The appetizers as well. All around we had a great time here!

The udon was good and the portion was generous, and the takoyaki was delicious. We came during rush hour, so we had to sit outside, and the restroom was always full, so we couldn’t use it. The prices are a bit high for the quality expected, and the staff could be a little more attentive. Still, it’s an option to consider if you’re near Little Tokyo.

Very chewy and tangly noodles! Wow what a crisp draft beer. Only if it was bigger… The creamy udons are specialty dish and it’s good but if you are going with your partner, i think it’s a good mix to get one plain broth udon and one creamy one to balance the meal out. Takoyaki was very good.

Felt a bit stingy on the portion and ikura&uni compared from the menu pictures? Noodle was delicious and service was good. Just wish to have a more fulfilling dinner.

Tried the cold bukkake udon and hot beef egg udon, flavors were pretty good but having tried other udon places in Japan and other cities, this one was average. Expected the udon to have more chew and bouncier texture. The price also felt high given how simple the ingredients were, service was friendly though!

I ordered the miso carbonara udon, and overall, it was enjoyable. The sauce was very creamy. The noodles had a slightly coarse texture, but they were still good. If you enjoy bacon, you would likely appreciate this dish more than I did. Personally, I found the bacon flavor overpowering, and the aroma was quite strong. In retrospect, I think I should have chosen a different item, though the dish was still good. We (party of 2) ate on a Sunday around 6:00 pm and the wait time was brief. The restaurant was small and cute, with a noisy atmosphere. I would come back to try another dish if I’m in the area.

I found this place through Google decided to give it a shot. Carnival Restaurant has become my family’s favorite Lebanese restaurant in a heartbeat. The staff are warm, welcoming, and kind. The service excellent, and the food is absolutely fabulous.

I tried Carnival recently and overall had a decent experience. I ordered the shawarma and lamb kebab combination. The shawarma was tasty and flavorful, though a bit on the greasy side. The lentil soup was also delicious and comforting. I appreciated that they bring out free warm pita bread, which is a nice touch. However, because it’s very thin, it gets hard after just a few minutes. I think one thicker, regular pita would be better than three very thin ones. As for the lamb kebab, I wasn’t as impressed. It came out pink and closer to medium-rare, which I personally didn’t enjoy. To the waiter’s credit, he offered to replace it, but I didn’t have time to wait for another one. For dessert, I tried the knafeh. It was different than others I’ve had but still light and delicious. The waiter mentioned it was the freshest one, which was nice, though it made me wonder about the rest. Overall, the food was decent and the service was friendly. Nothing to rave about, but it was a solid experience if you’re in the area.

Carnival is an authentic lebanese restaurant 😋, one of the best lebanese / Mediterranean restaurants I have eaten at. Lots of yummy dishes with large varieties. Sorry, I took some of the pictures after I dived in and tasted them. The price is at the best value. I highly recommend you visit and try Carnival, you can take a date, a friend or the whole family.

This was my first time visiting Carnival Restaurant. My father who has been going there for over 10 years brought me to eat. I LOVE IT! The restaurant was full and the people coming in and out was consistent. We were there during a weekday afternoon and the place was more than half filled up. I can understand why. Avivi and Cheyenne were our servers. What wonderful employees that Carnival has. Great management here. We stated with the combination appetizer. It come with Humos, baba ghanoug and tabouli salad topped with falafel balls. Pita come with it. The portions are very large and delicious. We shared the chicken kabab that came with rice. The quantity of food is surprising and I had to take more than ¼ of the food home. When we left, I was taking pictures of the business front. A guy bringing supplies came up to me to ask me what I was doing. It was Hakim who is one of the owners. I can see why the restaurant is so successful. He brought some of the cooks and crew to introduce me to them. He told he that they have been with him from the time they were teenagers. They were welcoming and smiling. I can see why the restaurant has been there for so long. Carnival is a very special restaurant. Gems like this are a true please to discover. You will love it.

First time here and certainly not the last! We loved it in here, this place is spotless clean, cordial staff and amazing food. My husband ordered the lamb and beef kabab and I ordered the small appetizer with babaganoush, hommus and tabouleh, Everything was fresh, very well seasoned and delicious. Portions were great and we are taking home boxes. If you are more frugal, considered sharing the plate. You will not regret giving this place a try.

If you’re someone who hates lamb but still decides to come here, I truly salute your bravery. Every single dish somehow tastes like lamb — even the beef smells like it, and I could swear the chicken is trying to, too. And I actually like lamb, but this place managed to make even me question my life choices. Maybe they’re secretly raising a flock in the kitchen? 😂 On the bright side, the appetizers, mezes, and salads are actually really good!

had a fantastic dinner here. food was excellent and portions were very generous. everything was reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was very cozy - even had live music. the pita bread was very good, and would recommend asking it to be toasted which makes it even better. very friendly service. would definitely come back!

This restaurant's vibe and service was great. Our server was quirky, and I like that. It was our first time here, so we tried a number of dishes. I think for me, the Deanie's Cornbread, Italian sausage ravioli, and glazed meatloaf were the best. You'll see in many photos, that cornbread and the butter presentation make a really great first impression to start off your evening. Adorable. I wasn't as big a fan of the stuffed kielbasa, but that's my preference because I'm not a huge fan of chorizo, and I was tasting that note. The sauce the bass came with was great, but the bass was just a smidge salty. Overall, great experience, will return again. :)

This is Jamie Fox’s restaurant that is a Jen. Unfortunately it is closing at the end of 2025. Rush to try it before it closes. Everything is worth it. It is creative while based on tradition and the execution is perfect. The location might have to do with its demise, however it is a shame as the building and interior are brilliant. Parking is a bit of a challenge in the street if you do not use valet. Let’s hope that the closure does not turn Chef Fox from opening something else soon.

My experience at Birdie G’s was a bit of a toss up with some lows and some standouts. The fish dip was a miss for me, unfortunately, but it’s mostly my fault because it tasted exactly how it was described by my server (deli-flavor, heavy on the cream cheese). It also didn’t have enough chips to go with it. It was my first time having koji-marinated meat at a restaurant, so I was extremely excited to order it. But at the end of the day, it tasted a bit too soft (almost like it was braised for a really long time). The fries it was served with were a bit soggy and mushy. However, the bone marrow risotto was so good that it made up for the rest; I loved that dish! The service was also fantastic, you can tell this restaurant is really passionate about what they’re doing.

Overall very fun and tasty evening Service was quick,nice and professional Flavors were good, steak ( no in the photos) was done properly but a bit over smoky Fried Mushroom, best !!! Matzo ball soup, very good flavorful broth consume. We will return for sure! We had a couple GF in the group, we came because they had multiple GF option and it made everything very easy and comfortable

This is a super fun and stylish restaurant with a great unique menu. The server we had was knowledgeable and passionate, able to make good recommendations. The food is a tasty fusion of American Southern & Jewish cuisine. I liked the cornbread, mussels, and kugel. The lamb was good, but the mustard sauce was too strong, and some pieces of meat were smothered completely by it. The food presentation is a little kitschy and not too striking. Mushrooms and dessert were just OK. Overall, I had a good meal here, although I feel it doesn’t fully justify the price they charge. Overall

It's been a while since I've been here, but I recently came for the Lao New Year Pop-up event, and do NOT regret it! Food was AWESOME! Sure, it's from the regular menu items, and from what I remember, that was still good! Definitely worth taking your date here regardless!

The food was made well but nothing jumped out as amazing. The broth is what they are known for and it lives up to the 36hrs of work they put into it. The garlic prawns were a great share plate. The lunch combo was worth its price.

Good food and excellent service! The fusion of Asian flavor and traditional western flare was blended nicely. My Pistachio latte was delicious and I was hoping for latte art bc that’s the norm now. lol Street or structure parking Bill incl a 20% service fee which is not a tip.

Food wasn’t bad, I came in for LA Dine in. I got the beet salad that was pretty good and the chicken wings. Then we got the brisket broth that was good I only like the broth, the noodles were strange like it was from a package. I didn’t try the sandwich it looks greasy so I brought it home.

They automatically add a 20% service fee (you can ask to remove it, but there’s no other way to tip—this replaces a traditional tip). The food was solid: we had the beet salad, drunken noodles, and fried rice, all worth ordering. Don’t skip the yuzu lemonade; it’s excellent.

We had a wonderful experience at Bone Kettle for our family dinner! We booked a semi-private space for 18 adults and 5 little ones (all under 3), and from start to finish the staff went above and beyond. With so many kids, it took a while to get everyone settled, but the team never rushed us—they gave us plenty of time before the food started coming out, which was a huge relief. Even as the restaurant got busier later in the evening, we always felt like our group was being taken care of. The fun music in the background even had our toddlers dancing, which made for a joyful atmosphere. The planning process was simple and efficient thanks to Thea, who helped us customize a menu perfectly suited to our group. Bone Kettle provides sample menus, but we loved how flexible they were in letting us mix and match dishes from their regular menu. Everything came out smoothly, right on time, and most importantly—it was all delicious! The small plates and appetizers were true standouts. I also really appreciated the transparency: for large parties there’s a 20% service fee, but the food prices were exactly the same as the regular menu (no hidden markups). At the end of the night I wanted to leave an additional tip for how wonderfully they handled our big group, but the servers and manager kindly declined. That gesture alone spoke volumes about their integrity and hospitality. All in all, Bone Kettle gave us an unforgettable evening—delicious food, amazing service, and a welcoming environment that made our whole family (including the kids) feel at home. Highly recommend for larger gatherings!

This is an authentic Japanese restaurant in the Studio City area. They offer a wide variety of food from sushi, sashimi, soba noodles, to curry with a lot of other things. They also have a sake flight, for you booze lovers. The restaurant is also filled with small trinkets, creating a fun eating environment. Staff are incredibly friendly and warm. Since the restaurant is petite, you may have to queue for a bit, but definitely worth it if you’re in the valley and you’re craving good Japanese food.

Delicious Japanese izakaya food in a super cute setting with fantastic, extraordinarily friendly service. I can't wait to come back. We ordered the agadashi tofu, tempura udon noodles, and Daichan beef teriyaki special bento box. Everything was well prepared. The tempura was perfectly crispy, the beef was tender and flavorful, the udon was clean and filling. Pricing was also super reasonable. Definitely worth a visit!

Ok I need to start by saying I wish I got a better photo but everytime I come here I get so excited to eat I don’t get a photo ahead of eating. I absolutely love this place. The food is nourishing and so good. It doesn’t feel like they ever try to be something they’re not. The staff is super friendly and the decor is so amazing I notice something new everytime.

This place was great and the food was excellent. Our server was also good and she played along with my brother's crazy jokes. I had a chicken Katsu and my wife had the udon and both were authentic like what I would get in Japan. I would happily go here again. Note the parking here is tight because they share a small parking lot with several businesses, and you may have a difficult time getting parking unless you use the valet which cost $4.

Food was great although limited amount of sauces for the burrito and flexibility. Overall a very positive experience. I had a veggie breakfast burrito and my partner had the bacon breakfast burrito.

Oh. My. Lanta. This place was good! The level of service was incredible! We were looking at the menu outside for a few minutes, deciding whether or not to go in, and when we finally did go in, a server (who turned out to be our waiter) already had samples waiting for us! We ordered the Newbie, the Elaine (my personal favorite), and the Get In My Deli burger. All were absolutely delicious! We had a very energetic one-year-old with us and the same server closed the restaurant door for us to allow him to run around (we'd stayed till closing but still!) The attentiveness and service was something I'd expect from a high end restaurant so getting it here at a local deli was just...awesome. I only regret not getting the waiter's name to shout him out more! And they weren't weird about their bathrooms either! 10/10 Recommend!

Their meat and bread is incredible and made in house! Very kind staff, Chai helped me and my grandfather and he provided top notch service, I got the pastrami sandwich this time, but next time i will try the corned beef! Unfortunately they don't have coffee flavors!!! But i had a good coffee and came for a sandwich anyways, if I came for coffee only, I would have gone somewhere else with flavors.

Loved this spot. I live right next to Yeasty Boys’ spot in Venice but their bagels aren’t very good and frequently undercooked. Wexler’s bagels are delicious and their smoked fish is incredible. Very glad to find a solid NY-style bagel spot in LA.

PLOTZABLE BAGELS & PASTRAMI We don’t have a single spot in my hometown that makes legit pastrami and visiting this joint really hit the spot. My husband and I visited here while our girls were traipsing about with their cousin. We split a bagel with lox & cream cheese and a pastrami sandwich. Both were excellent. If jonesing for some Jewish deli goodies while in Santa Monica, this is a great option.

I recently visited Wexler's Deli, and I must say, their Newman ($23 10 oz of pastrami and corned beef) sandwich was nothing short of a gastronomic masterpiece! The generous portions of tender, juicy pastrami and corned beef were expertly layered between slices of perfectly baked rye bread. The meat was succulent and flavorful, and the mustard added a delightful tang that brought everything together in a harmonious medley of flavors. The rye bread itself was an incredible experience. It had a wonderful texture and a subtle, yet distinct taste that complemented the meat and mustard superbly. The entire sandwich was crafted with such care and precision; you could tell the chef put their heart and soul into creating this heavenly feast. The presentation was also top-notch, making it an eye-catching delight before I even took my first bite. And when I did, the taste exceeded all my expectations! If you are looking for a Katz Deli and Russ & Daughters replacement in California, look no further. I've attached a picture of this mouthwatering creation to share with fellow food enthusiasts. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Wexler's Deli and treating yourself to The Newman - you won't regret it. Edit: It was so good I came back for a second day in a row.

With Sushi they say it’s all about the rice. With good deli it may just be all about the Rye bread. The simplicity that is The OG makes it what it is and the 3 ingredients, Bread, Meat and Mustard all work in harmony to make one of the best dining experiences you’ll have. I’ve been to Wexler’s in downtown and it was great. But I think the Santa Monica location tops it.

Nong Lá is a great spot for a casual family dinner. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the dishes are usually really solid. We especially love their pho fillet mignon and house special. Only thing is the soups can be a bit inconsistent — sometimes they’re rich and flavorful, other times a little more bland. Still, overall a reliable place we enjoy going back to occasionally.

The Baseline: For a Vietnamese cafe the Pho must be quality, the accompaniment add-in ingredients must be fresh, the meats must be well prepared, and menu must have authentic Vietnamese flavors. Food: I had a Banh Mi sandwich had a crusty bread and fresh ingredients to complement the sesame steak. The spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce was viscous and stuck to the roll after dipping. Service: Great service from the wait staff and they kept the water glasses full. The food was prepared efficiently and with care. Ambiance: The cafe was nicely decorated and functional. The bathrooms are clean and serviced regularly. The restaurant was clean and well taken care of and there is an outdoor patio.

Great casual dining with BIG WATERY FLAVORS! Broth is everything for a great pho and you won’t be disappointed at Nongla. Broth is light but pack with insane flavors. Nongla is my go to spots when I’m sick, hungover, and/or sad 🤣

Food was solid. Bahn Mi was actually pretty good, but the Pho was just okay. Service wasn’t great. Was annoyed because we asked to sit at a table but made us sit at the bar since we were a party of two, then two minutes later another party of two gets sat at the table we wanted. Typical LA prices

Parking can be challenging on Sawtelle Street since during the nights it gets pretty packed. Not to mention the crowds outside sushi stop and Tsujita artisan noodles where it lies between Smooth service from start to finish from the entire staff. No issues at all….they were all very positive and friendly. Outside for some reason didn’t have heaters inside there’s limited seating, including the bar area. Got the veggie spring rolls, which are actually really good with the tofu and oyster mushrooms inside definitely something different compared to your common shrimp rolls. Pho bo vien with rare, filet mignon and beef balls. Were good just the sizing of it all was extremely small including the amount noodles. Pho chay with organic mushrooms and carrots was good and I felt it had way more ingredients and hearty compared to the beef pho Overall everything tasted amazing but the price per bowl felt a little bit too expensive for my taste.

Very surprised. this place is not good anymore. First time I visited Nong La on Sawtelle Blvd was 2017 when I was in town. Came back to NYC and was always reminiscing about the wonderful Pho I had there. Fast forward 2023... I come back. Very disappointed. Fried eggrolls. Are so greasy and dripping in oil. Sent them back and they said they would remake them and even acknowledged that the eggrolls were quite greasier than usual. The waitress literally came back 2 minutes later with the same plate of eggrolls as greasy as ever. Lol I felt like we were being punked. I didn't even bother to complain because I had a feeling I would only be disappointed again. Summer rolls came out and they were HARD. They tasted as if they were made 8 hours prior and stored in the fridge. For someone who doesn't know.. they will just think vietnamese summer rolls are overrated. That's not true. Vietnamese summer rolls are supposed to be room temperature and bouncy soft in texture. Not like a hard piece of rubber. Rice with grilled pork was cold. I'm starting to think everything is made and plated in advance. Don't even get me started on the pho. Horrible pho. Cloudy broth. We came in at 7pm. Restaurant closes at 9pm. But still no excuse. Broth tasted like bottom of the barrel sediment. ZERO STARS. It's so bad, I wouldn't even eat there for free.

The Ghormeh Sabzi, in particular, with its rich blend of herbs and tender meat. Attentive service and genuine hospitality made our visit memorable. It is a small place, but the food was amazing. I loved their Kabob Kobideh. It is of quality meat. Kabob Barg or Kabob chenjeh was also excellent (fillet minion) . I think they are also famous for their Adas Polo (lentil rice). It is kind of self serve You order, pay, and they bring the food for you. I would definitely go back again.

Exceptional food. Meat was juicy and tender and still perfect as leftovers the next day. Every single item we ordered had so much flavor and not one element was lacking. The combo plate is really good value. Ordered 2 for four people and ended up with an entire second meal for everyone the next day. Very easy to eat gluten free here.

Two of us ordered one $20 entrée, one $17 entrée, and one Coke from the fridge, normally $2.99 at the highest, but she charged us $5.99 The server said we could do “half rice/half salad” for the $20 dish as a replacement, but the bill added a $4 upcharge anyway. How come you serve me less rice and replace it with a little salad and charge me still $4.00 for it? I just don't get it. It is so deceiptful... The card reader only had preset tip buttons tipping from 18% to 25%.... no “custom” or “other", options available to choose. Our total came to about $60 for two plates and a soda. This felt misleading and not what we were told. Her attitude certainly did not deserve any tip, because when I asked her why my bill is so high, she said "read your bill"... seriously? we were forced by the card reader to tip her anyways.

Food was decent. Drunken noodle was pretty good. Good level of spice. Disappointed in boat noodle since it was my favorite and the dish that I ordered. The broth was flavorful but it wasn't like traditional broth. It tasted more like they used pho broth as a base or pressure cooked the broth with the meat. It was quite oily. Thai iced coffee was really good. Strong bold flavor just like how it made in Thailand. Lemongrass drink was way too sweet for me. Didn't appreciate our waitress who stopped our mid conversation asked us to pay for the bill immediately and asked us to pay tips in cash without asking how was our meal once or whether we finished with our meal which we werent. Asked for receipt never gotten one had to ask another waitress. Heard her mentioning to her worker that she didn't want to give us a receipt, like why?

Great thai spot! Went with my partner and got a Kra Pao Fried Rice and the Jade noodles. Both were fantastic but the Kra Pao was definitely the standout dish of the two. Id definitely order from here again!!

Kra Pao Fried Rice Simple yet satisfying, the basil seals the deal Boat Noodle Everything Flavorful broth and generous with the meats/animal parts Jade Noodles Dry noods are my fave, these are yummy spinach noodles with lots of toppings Mango Sticky Rice Classic and most favorite Thai dessert, mango was so sweet, and ask for crushed peanuts to sprinkle on!

Loved the boat noodles here. It seemed to be just as good as the ones in Thailand, especially the mixed bowl. The steak piece in the mixed bowl is especially tender. Wish the crispy pork skin was refried, it seemed a little stale. The fried soft shell crab was also wonderful, one of the best ones that we've had. Lightly battered and very airy. The stir fried morning glory was also great. Service was friendly. The atmosphere was lively.

I got vermicelli with grilled pork which was tasty. My friend got Pho beef combo. I also got iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. You know it’s authentic when your coffee comes with a tiny spoon in the glass cup. Reasonable price and nice service.

The broth is clean, with light beefy flavor, and the spices are not overpowering. Its fragrance comes from the fresh green onions and cilantro. The meat and noodles ration is perfect. The herbs condiments are generous amounts and really fresh. The Chinese donuts come hot and fresh. I like to dip mine in the hot broth. Pro tip: Go for the XL bowl if you are hungry! Service is warm, food comes fast. They have good, multiple dining areas. The inside dining and restrooms are clean. I live that they open early at 0800, since I always crave pho for breakfast. Street parking only.

I was the first customer, and the broth smelled like wet dog. I had to drown the smell out with Sriracha. I usually don't leave bad reviews, but the $20 a bowl price forced me to. Never again.

As a Long Beach resident, I’ve been coming here for years. I definitely think it’s one of the most authentic tasting Pho In town. Only open till 5 PM and all they serve is Pho and don’t forget the nice crunchy bread which compliments the pho very well. Prices have definitely gone up, but you still have the option of small, medium or large unlike most places which charge a flat rate of 15+ for a bowl. Service has always been great here no issues so far. Parking can be a bit scarce I usually park at Walgreen. The ambience is pretty simple and mildly loud, depending on the size of your party. You might have to wait for a table or just take whatever’s available. Overall the food and service are worth it while being affordable.

The Pho here is EXCEPTIONAL!! So flavorful and piping hot! All the fixings are fresh and plentiful. They also offer what they call a Chinese Dognut to dip while eating your Pho, which I recommend. I love this place, I eat here every time I'm in The LBC. I Initially found this restaurant because it had a rave review in the OC weekly. If you are ever in Long Beach you must try!

I've been wanting to check this place and finally was around the area. The hand made tortillas are thick and yummy on their own. The meats I tried(carnitas & carne asada) are flavorful. I'm glad you can by the meats by the pound, the salsas in different sizes and if you go on a sat or sun they have menudo as well. Also the blood in blood out(movie) theme outside the building is pretty cool. If you're in the area you got to check it out. You don't be disappointed

Service - 5 stars Friendly! Burrito with carnitas and chicharrones - 4 stars The refried beans added much needed moisture. Chicharrones too salty for me but I don't usually eat it so I don't have much basis for comparison. Taco carnitas - 3 stars Meat was dry. Taco carne Asda - 3 stars Meat was dry. Red chili and pork tamale - 3 stars Masa and meat were dry. Cheese tamale - 3.5 stars Masa was dry. Cheese had interesting halloumi-like texture.

The best carnitas is Los Angeles!. Reminds me of MX. Can’t beat the homemade tortillas. Oh and the tamales are 🔥

The best Mexican food I have ever had in my life! Everything is completely authentic and made quickly. The carnitas were so delicious and juicy and the tortillas are sooo yummy! Not to mention the tortilla chips! They're so good! I had the carne asada torta and it was the best torta I've ever had. Absolutely delicious!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. The food was excellent. I ordered a little of everything to try. They don’t have their own parking but there’s a parking structure right behind and paid street parking available. They’re located in the same shopping area as Sugar Fish and Philz Coffee. It’s very clean inside and they do have a few outdoor tables. Personally I feel the dumplings are a bit pricey, but relevant to Pasadena. Their fried rice was very tasty. I’d prefer the popcorn chicken with more seasoning and without their dipping sauce. The mapo tofu didn’t over power the taste of the crab. I’d definitely order the noodles again. The crispy dumplings were pretty much perfect.

Loved our dinner at Dan Modern Chinese in Pasadena! The food was amazing, everything from the dumplings to the noodles was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Our server Eric was awesome, super kind, and made great recommendations. Anthony and the rest of the team were really helpful and made the whole experience even better. Great vibe, great service, and delicious food. We can’t wait to come back!

They are ver delicious dumplings, especially the soup ones. The noodles were good. Happened to try out their special flavored beers. I definitely recommend this place. It is a little hidden from the alley that looks like a plain parking structure.

I typically order takeout, but the restaurant is nice as well. xlb is great, three cup chicken and dan mein (any meat) noodles are also favorites. Pea shoots or snow pea leaves are amazing sides. Fried rice solid. Honestly i haven’t had a dish that wasn’t excellent, and service/staff is friendly and attentive. Can’t go wrong!

We absolutely love coming to Dan Modern Chinese! The dumplings here are consistently outstanding – we're particularly fond of the pan-fried chicken dumplings and the vegetable dumplings (which are delicious both steamed and pan-fried). One suggestion that would make our dining experience even better: it would be wonderful if Dan Modern Chinese could offer a "Dumpling Flight" option for small parties. We'd love the opportunity to sample some of the other tempting varieties on the menu, like the chili oil dumplings, crispy dumplings, and the pork and shrimp options. Having a tasting portion of several different styles would be perfect for adventurous diners who want to explore the full range of your dumpling artistry. The food quality is exceptional and the service is always excellent (our waiter Evan was great(. We hope the restaurant will consider this suggestion – it would be a fantastic way to showcase the incredible variety and skill that goes into each dumpling style. Highly recommended!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We had a reservation and called ahead to see if we could arrive an hour earlier, and they graciously accommodated our request on short notice, which we were very grateful for. The restaurant was clean, and the prices were relatively affordable, especially for the area. My team visited for dinner, and although we ordered a variety of dishes, everyone agreed that the food was excellent and the service was outstanding.

I thought the portion was small for the price, especially the fish taco. Shrimp was a little better, but both I thought were way too oily, they needed to shake off some of that oil to get the crisp exterior. Flavor was really no different than other fish tacos I’ve tried. It was fine but not worth seeking out in my opinion.

Was there for Sunday lunch. Limited seating outside only. Sun was on me, it was hot. Dislike how condiments are Limited. Had he keep making line waiting to ask for xtra napkins, sauce, peppers. They are busy so takes longer to get items told to them through their small order/pick up windows. The fish tacos are usually good but this last time they were still slimy in the inside. Had to throw away one taco that just wasn't good. It's an okay spot for a quickly made taco.

The fish batter isn't overwhelming and it's fresh. Love the Wednesday fish taco special which is their busiest as day. We love going around dinner time when there is less people.

Friend picked this place to get fish tacos. Turns out they’re amazing tacos, probably the best fish tacos I’ve had. They were a little slow at getting to everyone from being a bit short-staffed that day, but this is understandable in the current situation. The rest made the wait worth it.

My wife and I have been coming to Tacos Baja for many years for their delicious fish tacos and other items of their menu. Everything is made fresh daily like the refried beans and rice and especially their seafood fresh very day.

Pho Hue Oi is one of the best Pho spots in the South Bay. They offer an upgrade to their house made noodles and that is a must. The spring rolls with thin slices of pork are outstanding and the sandwiches are also great. The Pho Dac Biet has a combination of meat choices and a wonderful broth. They round out the menu with rice plate entrees. The whole menu here is really good and the food comes fresh and hot.. must try spot of you love Pho.

I went for the cold cut Vietnamese sandwich(Bahn Mi), and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I also tried the pho, which was decent. Overall, a solid spot to grab a meal.

To be honest, I was shocked at how good this place is given the fact that it was in Hawthorne. However I did learn that it is from the OC and it made sense. Dare I say that this is the best place, if not one of, outside of OC? The Banh mi was on point with a great, crusty bread and the grilled pork was nice. I thoroughly enjoyed the Pho, and I tasted my friends bun Bo hue and it was delicious. So surprised but excellent. This is way better than anything you find west side and I would say better than anything in SGV. I would like to go to their OG store in OC and try. This would be just daily go to if it was closer!

I typically drive to Westminister for good Pho. I am so happy to have discovered this place - it is much closer to West LA! Vietnamese aunties were dining there which is always a good sign to me (my family is from Vietnam). Fresh rice noodles. Flavorful broth. Very good!

Service is great and the employees are kind, but the food itself isn’t that good. Images shown on the kiosk machine for food items we ordered were completely different from what we received. I think we may have gotten the wrong order. The food was stale and cold (in a microwaved way) and the lunch box tasted oilier and drier rather than flavorful. Egg custard buns were a let down and didn’t taste very good. Prices are cheap for California, but food was definitely not as good as reviews are saying. If you want something cheap and filling this spot is fine

This is my quick go to neighborhood spot. I wish they had salads and soups, though. I got the bento box for the first time and it was pretty filling. I have enough for the next day! We also ordered fried shrimp balls with corn and shrimp with scallion dumplings. Yum 🤤

Food was SO good! I had been looking for a place with Xiao long bao, the dumplings with the soup INSIDE the bao, and these were perfect! I ordered a cold garlic noodle salad that ended up coming out hot and asked the man about it to make sure I didn't get the wrong thing and he brought me another cold one after I already started eating the warm one that was actually still really good warm. So that was nice to eat later that night in my hotel room. The last thing I got was the fried shrimp wonton w/ Chili Oil and they were big, plump and tasty shrimp! All these things had real tasty sauces and toppers too! I wanted to go back, but my travel buddy had a good point about trying a bunch of different things since we were in a good food paradise!

Delicious dim sum!!! I came here a few years ago when I visited LA and fell in love with their steamed egg custard bao. Had to go again when I visited this time and it did not disappoint! I also got the xiao long bao, which was delicious. And my husband got the shrimp wonton with chili oil and pork and shrimp siu mai. He enjoyed his as well!

Stopped by for a late snack, set up for take out and quick snack with high tops and stools, better order ahead to save the wait. Roast pork buns and steamed shrimp dumplings were moderately above average, fried chicken dumplings/ potstickers were average and curry pastries were worst I ever had and a let down. Nice and friendly service, clean looking and resonantly priced. Worth circling back to explore some more. Parking at rear was useful.

Surprisingly good for the price, everything in the picture was about 32 total Food was served in about 5-10 mins after ordering The shui mai was massive, juicy and packed with umami. The prawn dumplings likewise were very generously wrapped and 鮮 Unfortunately the xiaolongbaos did not appear to have much soup inside. Some of the har gao skins were broken and lumpy, perhaps we had an older batch? Egg tarts were also very good I appreciated the provided chili crisp, soy sauce and ginger sauce (for the xlb) as well as the sweet soy sauce provided on the side. It appears this place is oriented around taking away with seating to eat as a secondary purpose (only napkins were provided at the table). Overall, this is definitely an unexpected gem in the area and I would highly recommend. I love that they served the dim sum in foil which allowed the heat to stay in and keep it all fresh. The serving size and flavor definitely hit the spot.

Staff were very friendly when I came to pick up my order. For the price, the food was good. Very reasonably priced. Portion size was good too, not those tiny sizes. Definitely worth a try. Only thing was parking, quite difficult to find street parking. There is a small valet lot behind though.

This Nong Lá location has been consistently great every time we’ve visited. The pho is always flavorful, and the broth tastes just right — rich, balanced, and comforting. It’s a great spot for a family meal, with friendly service and a relaxed vibe. Definitely our preferred location when we’re craving Vietnamese comfort food.

*Delayed post from Jan ‘25 Super impressed with this restaurant! Came here on a whim with a small group and loved the high quality service and the freshness of the ingredients. Only hiccup was that our egg rolls came out after our main entrees, but they were so good, I honestly didn’t care. Be careful though, they are HOT when they first get to the table. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and well executed. I also loved how many fresh vegetables came with our meals. Totally worth trying this place.

I went to Nong La on La Brea and ordered the Bo Nuong (grilled lemongrass & sesame steak). It came out quickly, and the presentation was clean and simple. The flavors were fresh, and the steak had a nice balance of seasoning without being too salty or heavy. The service was great — my waiter was friendly, checked in without overdoing it, and the vibe was relaxed and welcoming. It’s a good place to sit down and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. There’s metered street parking right out front — I paid $3 for an hour, which was enough for a full meal without stress. That alone makes it more doable compared to other LA spots. The restaurant was clean and had a calm, comfortable feel. I’d come back for sure — might try the pho or one of the noodle salads next time. Drinks and desserts looked solid too.

No frills Vietnamese eatery that is reasonably priced given the neighborhood, efficient staff, overall cleanliness and well made authentic, solid pho broth. Side note: Street parking restrictions are an issue before 7pm.

I ordered my food to go. I got the chicken pho and summer rolls with shrimp, no pork for me. The broth makes the soup. This place hit the spot. I drank every last drop of the amazingly delicious, packed full of flavor broth. Summer rolls were jammin’ too. Had the mint in them to give them a nice flavorful touch. I will be coming back to this place for sure.

Mayura Restaurant is simply outstanding! The food here is super duper good – every dish is bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself is very clean, tidy, and has a pleasant atmosphere that makes dining here comfortable and enjoyable. Really authentic South Indian restaurant! I was really craving Chennai style food for a long time, this restaurant has their roots from Kerala and they served really good food. The cocktail uthapam and sambar vada are really good. It’s served with Channa, sambar and two varieties of chutneys. Portion size is really good too.

The food was really taste. Especially the appam and fish curry, that’s the exact Kerala authentic food and it was really mouth watering. I had proper Kerala tea also. The aunty will treat us very friendly and all the staffs are so nice too

I don't know authentic Chinese food, but I'm pretty sure this is it. I came with a group so I was able to sample many different dishes. Every dish was family size. Major bang for your buck! The Singapore noodles had a strong curry flavor and a hint of ginger. The noodles were slightly overdone. The coconut buns were next level good. They were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! The sweet drizzle was out of this world. We ordered 2 plates! The free hot tea was flavorless. The sweet and sour chicken was perfect! Just the right amount of sauce and deep fried to perfection. Delicious! The juicy pork dumplings were horrible. (Could be personal taste) They smelled like wet socks and tasted exactly how they smelled. The atmosphere is not great with an old worn out carpet and tight seating in a less than stellar looking neighborhood. The service was spot on. Great host and excellent fast service made this spot a good touch for many as there are a ton of Asian restaurants in the area, but Mama Lu's was clearly the busiest. Enjoy!

Went with a big group of 10 for lunch and ordered family style dishes. Wow. This place is amazing. The food came out quick and kept coming out. Fast service and delicious food. If you are in the area, you have to eat here.

Absolutely enormous servings of Cantonese and Chinese food. The Yang Chow fried rice and egg tofu dishes are awesome. The eggplant needed some salt, but it was otherwise pretty good. The fried fish was delicious. The menu is so huge and the servings so large for what you pay for that there's no reason not to try something. The food also tastes great reheated as leftovers!

There was no wait time for a party of 2 and the food came out relatively fast and it was delicious. The Spicy Wontons with Pork and Shrimp were good and had a nice kick 🌶. Also ordered the Pork and Crab Dumplings and the name was correct they were really juicy and packed with flavor. Pan fried Dumplings were also nice and crispy. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was my personal favorite. Overall had a great experience with the food and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Today, I ordered clams with black bean sauces to go. The wait was 45 minutes even though I ordered before I go there. then, to my surprise—when I got home, open my box of clams—missing at least 10 to 12 clams out of 24 or 25 clams. This businesses have been suited before for Tax issues but now they are shady in stealing my foods. I would not recommend this place for anyone living in San Gabriel valley.

Homestyle, classic and comforting Hong Kong style food. While the place is known for its fantastic dumplings, their other dishes are authentic. The portion sizes are one of the largest in SGV and well priced. Would come back again!

Incredible. I wouldn't change a thing. Everything was perfection. Bulgogi and in house kimchi was delicious. I'm already craving it again. Portion size was perfect. 25 dollars with tip, a but pricey but so good. Treat yourself when you can. It's like a warm hug to your soul. And the vibes inside are so nice. Healing experience. So simple and so effective.

What a lovely location. Got the beef brisket Sul Lung Tang. The broth is very rich in flavour - Not too much additional seasoning needed. Love adding the onions! The staff are incredibly friendly as well. Price is okay, a bit expensive - with that said, everything in LA is expensive. Portion sizes are good! The Kimchi leans more on the acidic side. I was very close to giving this spot a 5 star, but there is a slight ~1-5% gaminess to the meat - Subjective but for those who can notice these finer details, it matters. Nit Picky but this place is one of the best I have had, and to really paint it onto the maps would require slightly higher quality meat suppliers. This would make a worlds difference. Highly highly recommended spot. The vibe is great!

I wouldn't change anything about this restaurant, not one thing! This restaurant has the 90s K Town look down to a T, and having been born in the area it was especially comforting! Delicious sul lung tang (ox bone soup)! It's basically the only thing on the menu. You do get to choose which meats to include. I chose the mixed meat but be warned: mixed includes tripe and spleen. If you're okay with that, it's delicious! On a random Wednesday morning at 830am, it was empty other than a few regulars. The server was super sweet and helped me craft my bowl. Highly highly recommend for some Korean comfort food!

After you're done eating, you can stay parked there and walk around a little bit. Food is a bit pricey (with tip it was around $25), but it was very filling and delicious. Would definitely come back here again. overall, 5/5 stars!

A little hole in the wall spot that’s been here for many years. When I live in LA I came here a lot. I find myself missing their simple yet soul healing bone broth. Sul lung tang is what they do and you only come here for this dish. I like the tongue or brisket. The two Kimchee they got are solid. Tutorial on how to stretch into a three course meal: 1. Try the soup as is, add nothing to it and appreciate the magic of simple food done right. 2. Level 2, after finishing 1/4 of the bowl, add tons of scallions and very little salt. Flavor changed instantly and this is the time I would eat all my glass noodles in the bowl but try to save 1/3 of the broth with some meat 3. Grand finale! Pour the rice Kimchee sauce into the soup, ask for extra noodle (pro tip! They are ok with giving you that for free) and this is time for you to ask for refill of Kimchee if you want more. Scoop some rice in your soup and bang! Another completely different dish! With high turnover in the hospitality industry, their team remains exactly the same…. How can they not age a bit? Maybe the secret is in the soup lol. Just go try it yourself

I couldn’t get in on the weekend because of the line, but I visited on a weekday evening instead. On Wednesday around 7:30 PM, the place was almost full. Despite being busy, the food was served fairly quickly. I played it safe and ordered the brisket pho, which was delicious. Everything others were having looked hearty and tasty as well, so I’m looking forward to trying something different next time. The staff weren’t very friendly but we'll be back!

It’s been awhile since I been here. I went a lot before 2020. My normal pho combination large is my go to. The pho broth is always on point. The meat quantity went down. They use to give a lot but now just a minimum requirement. The spring rolls were good as an appetizer. Vietnamese ice coffee was on point . Still a great spot. Would recommend to try it out.

Arrived at 10:30am and a lot of parking and many tables were open. We were greeted and seated immediately and everyone was welcoming. We ordered chicken pho, filet mignon pho and i cant remember the exact name of the other plate but it was spicy beef, shrimp and pork with noodles. Everything was delicious! The spicy plate was not that spicy. It was more like a sweet and spicy but it was delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

The staff worked quickly, but the service felt a bit rough. I ordered the dry noodles, and while the flavor was really good, the noodles were clumped together so much that it was hard to pick them up with chopsticks. I think that’s something that needs improvement. That said, it’s still the kind of restaurant that makes me want to come back and try other dishes.

Saigon Dish is DELICIOUS! My family enjoyed some amazingly delicious lunch at S.D. There was no wait for a table, but the place was jam packed for lunch. Clearly, it's a favorite lunch joint for folks nearby. The brisket pho is truly a treat. Additionally, the spring rolls are just spectacular! I had a little bit of the bahn mi and that, too, was phenomenal. If I lived nearby, I would frequent Saigon Dish on the regular. The food, service and prices are where it's at! If you're on the hunt for some great pho, hit up Saigon Dish.

The Baseline: For a Vietnamese cafe the Pho must be quality, the accompaniment add-in ingredients must be fresh, the meats must be well prepared, and menu must have authentic Vietnamese flavors. August 27, 2025 Update: Food: Had the Brisket and filet steak Pho which was tasty and delicious. The Banh Mi was toasty and the pork was well grilled. Otherwise we had our two standards of the Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong (Egg roll / grilled pork noodle salad) #26 and the Shaken Beef and Rice #46 which were great as always. Service: Great service but it was a pick up order. I had everything at home and it was packaged well. The Vietnamese flavors and style is prime here. Top dishes in the years I have been coming here is the Pho Filet Mignon, Shaken Beef Rice Plate, Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong (grilled pork/egg roll vermicelli salad, and the Bahn Mi Sandwhich. The Pho broth is like having a healing broth that has always made me happy when I have felt sick or it is a cold winter night. For appetizers the shrimp spring rolls are a got to must. Also the Thai Iced tea and young coconut is a great drink besides water. Service: Great service from the wait staff and they serve you like it is a trained routine. Payment is at the front register and if you pay in cash you can take 5% off the bill. Tip you wait staff! Also they don’t walk around with refilling water so you may need to ask for the refills. Ambiance: The restaurant is clean and well maintained but it is no frills. Table setup is well placed and seating is comfortable to have your meal. Bathrooms are clean and serviced but can be messy on a busy day due to patrons being sloppy.

Been coming to eat here for the last 20+ years!! Amazing food, to be specific with which items-let’s just say everything on the menu!! The environment is both magnetic and welcoming. Service is what you would consider “great customer service” and how it should be. Can’t even think of a time I walked out disappointed. Oh and the memory on that man Jon. Anyone I have ever too with me and introduced to him he not once, well maybe one time but he has always remembered their name AND what they order. I got my 15uo hooked on it as it’s been definitely a place he’s grownup in. We will always and forever continue to eat Saigon Dish till their ending days whenever that would be but that doesn’t look like it would be anytime soon!! Definitely ***** A++ and 100!! 👌🏻

I've experienced Jinya ramen when I was in Texas and I had a high expectation from my previous experience. We had two vegan ramen and those were so good!! One was spicy creamy vegan ramen and another one was red o' something ramen great flavor and delicious broth!! Keep up the good work! Cheers 🥂

The food was excellent, and the ramen instantly lifted my mood. The flavors blended beautifully, with just the right level of spice, flavorful without being overpowering. Its location within walking distance of the hotel made the experience even better, combining good eats with a pleasant walk. The wait staff were attentive and offered thoughtful recommendations, which added to the overall positive experience. I also enjoyed the welcoming ambience. Having also visited the Jinya Ramen in DC, I find myself partial to that location—perhaps because it feels newer...but both delivered consistently great flavors in the dishes I ordered.

I was looking for options near our hotel and was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I was expecting overcooked noodles in a bland broth but it was very flavorful and made well. My mom and I both enjoyed our Tan Tan Men which was nutty, creamy and a bit meaty with a hint of spice. If you’re into more toppings, be sure to add it separately because it’s topped simply with flavored ground beef, green onion and bok choy. It was still very filling without extra toppings. My sister got the Red Tonkatsu and while she liked it, she thought the spice level at 6 overpowered everything else. It wasn’t spicy to her but just a bit one dimensional. She said she would like to give the original a try instead. The egg wasn’t jammy but we’re aware some ramen places like to cook it differently. We also got an order of the takoyaki- it was good. The hot sake also comes in a large craft and sodas are in cans or bottles (Mexican Cola). The service was great even though there was only one active server, Via. They were great and attentive. Probably not ideal for large groups but there are hightop tables that can accommodate them. The atmosphere was warm woods and slightly industrial but it was lit well with warm and bright lighting. Very clean and organized. Value is stretch but I’d come eat here again if I were to stay at the same hotel.

Tonkatsu Black is nice. Honestly done know why that intalien chef in the picture is naked. Visited their Houston one and it seems more crowded.

Please don't come here. It's fantastic and very authentic Chinese food at a low price. It was our SGV hidden gem. Now everyone is posting reviews in Social Media and they even got a top rating by the LA Times. Now it's becoming crowded and prices are going up. If I post this, I have only myself to blame. So again, please stay away.

We’ve seen this place for so long and finally decided to try it. A huge disappointment. Taste of the food was average. But there was hair in my rice. Service was below average, not very friendly. The store itself was very dirty. The stream table was beyond dirty. First and last time going to that place. Didn’t know where the trash can was and as we were heading out found it. No surprise there. Dirty beyond comprehension. Just look at the pic.

Updated 2024.04.29 From Chinatown, Los Angeles, we have taken one bus #76, about a 38 minutes ride to the restaurant across the street from the bus stop. Inside was very warm, no air conditioning, cafeteria style with trays of food to select from or order off the menu. Up to four items is USD 10.91. The food quality was only average, not worth the time taken for a long bus ride for their food. The sweet and sour and the pork belly was nice as expected. The pan-fried soup dumplings were subpar, the dough was very thick compared with the amount of filling. The house soup was very bland with almost no taste. Twenty-five cent charge for hot tea, three percent charge for using a credit card.

The portion is very big with the price you paid for. Shave ice is awesome!

Very authentic indigenous Shanghainese food, which is a bit on the sweet side. It’s really a good court, w all food in trays on display. You can pick what you see. The place can be tidy up a bit. Staff were helpful. Warning: portions are very generous. I think all orders are meant for two ppl at least.

Great low key lunch spot to fulfill any bao/noodle cravings you might have. The menu is a little overwhelming if you’re not familiar with the cuisine. The pan fried Shanghai bao are a MUST - it is their best item and you get 8 decent sized bao with a vinegar-soy dipping sauce. I would also recommend the buffet item specials which are a good deal. We got the orange chicken and very tender beef on the bone that was very tender (Not sure of the exact names of everything). Their noodle soups are also very popular, although I haven’t tried them myself. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Amazing food and 2 person size portions! Very self managed with the bowls and take out containers being out for the customers to use as they please. Food comes out hot and is delivered as it completes so you should order to share. My only complaint is the lack of normal size utensils for the non-chopstick literate.

Food was great and tasted really authentic. Parking behind the restaurant is almost non-existant. The guy who took my order was rude and barked at me that my order was not ready when i was trying to make the order. Staff barely spoke English. They were also blaring loud music.

This place will probably be the closest thing to authentic Chinese food unless you think Panda is authentic. Portions are very nice, staff is nice, and the place is clean. Highly recommended! Very fun first experience. Fried rice was really good. Dumplings were good- but that have PEANUTS, so beware! Wonton soup was good. We didn't enjoy the meat with the bone. Definitely try this place out!
