Howlin' Ray's Hot Chicken in Chinatown is a food truck that has gained fame for its Nashville-style hot fried chicken and flavorful sides. The chef, Howlin Rays Johnny Zone, is renowned for kickstarting the Nashville hot chicken trend in Los Angeles. The dedicated and energetic crew ensures that customers are served with high morale despite long lines. The craveable chicken sandwich offers an intense flavor and heat, providing a face-tingling euphoria.
I’ve been coming here for years, but this is my first time leaving a review—and it’s long overdue! Hands down, this is the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I’m at a point in life where the medium heat is just right—flavorful with a kick, but still enjoyable. I tried the “hot” during the winter and it was a bit too intense, so choose your spice level wisely! Everything on the menu hits—from the tenders to the wings—and you have to try the comeback sauce. To top it all off, the service is consistently fantastic. Always a pleasure coming back!

These burgers are BIG! Photo does not do it justice size wise (I have huge hands). Get the dry age, worth the price. Best non-smash patty burger in the city! Hot dog was okay, not nearly as memorable as the burger. Fries were also good and large portion. Service is awesome, the ladies working during my visit were very nice and helpful.

I would give 100 stars 🌟 🤩 ✨️ if I could, we live 2 hrs away. When we are in town we have to stop by this place has exceeded my expectations. The staff goes above and beyond with hospitality. The customer care that radiates from this place should be in EVERY business the food is excellent the staff is AAAAAMMMAAAAZZZIIIINNNGG THIS is why I dont mind driving and going out of my way to eat here. Olive garden has nothing on them because when you are at Howlin Ray's you truly are family. We need a Howlin Ray's in Bakersfield. There is a.......... Dave's chicken Nashville Hot Chicken Angry Chicken But none of them are on the scale as Howlin Ray's yes you heard me right this is finger lickin goooood chicken and they have there own drinks no fountain drinks, they do have soda cans and there drinks sweet peach pink and white can lemonade yellow and white can. There are tables outside, the staff calls your # when your food is ready make sure to stop by the counter they have a yellowish treasure box with fun pins and stickers of Howlin Ray's. There is street parking you have to feed the meter. If you are ever in Chinatown don't forget to stop by and meet the staff they will make your day. OH!!! yes, I almost forgot 🤔 to mention and get some chicken strips or chicken sandwiches too 😋 😅 🙃

This place had an amazing staff that look and sounded like they love what they do and had incredible hospitality and their service was phenomenal! My brother got one of their classic sandwich’s and I myself being a vegetarian got what they called Mario Style fries which is shown in the third photo and it tasted absolutely delicious! If I’m back in town I 100% will go to get it!

This is by far the best chicken sandwhich ive ever had (ive had many lol) got the sando with fries and waffle. The comeback sauce is soooo good and the waffle is seriously one of the best waffles ive ever had. I was shocked how good everything was. Definitely a MUST TRY when in LA. The workers are so nice and try really hard to make sure you are good and have everything you need. This place has it down to the T. The food the service the environment. 10/10!!!!!

Howlin' Rays Hot Chicken is a decently good chicken sandwich place! I may not be the appropriate audience for this place as the chicken sandwich I got was good, but there was nothing "wow" about it. We were recommended this place by a friend of ours who lives in California as a must try spot. We stood in line for about 40 minutes and ordered the medium chicken sandwich, and the "secret" menu Mario fries. The sandwich was good, but as already mentioned, at no point did I think this was a sandwich I would stand in line for 40 minutes to get again. The Mario fries also weren't worth it in my opinion, though I did enjoy them more than the sandwich myself. Personally, I enjoyed the spicy Popeye's chicken sandwich more than the one I had out Howlin' Ray's. Kudos to the customer service though. From the cashier to every other individual you interact with, they are extremely friendly and they talk to you and seem to genuinely care. They also seem to give out some freebies which is super cool. We got to try all of the sauces they had for free (which were all delicious. My favorite being the honey mustard). Overall, if you are a fan of chicken sandwiches, try it out and you won't be disappointed. However, if you are like me and you are someone who eats chicken sandwiches occasionally, you probably will end up like me and question if standing in line this long was worth the wait. I would say no, unfortunately it was not worth the wait.

I was blown away by not only their food, but their service. They were awesome... for my bday they hooked me up with a delivery dessert, drink, sauce and everyone enjoyed what they were doing. Their sando was the best I've had and can't wait to go again.
Ehsan G — Google review
Actually hot chicken!!! Was pleasantly surprised to see the hype was not exaggerated and that the spiciness is there. Cooked well where it was not overly crunchy but was nice and crispy. Also super nice staff. Honestly kinda scary how nice they were.

Chicken restaurant
Soul food restaurant
Honey's Kettle Fried Chicken is a bright and airy spot known for its homemade Southern comfort food, particularly its crispy fried chicken and fresh biscuits. Vincent Williams, the mastermind behind the restaurant, has spent over four decades perfecting the art of Southern-style fried chicken. The chicken is marinated in a top-secret spice blend for 24 hours before being fried in peanut oil to achieve a shaggy golden crust that locks in all the flavor.
Was in the area and decided to check 2g2g lo and behold they have a few surprise bags! What's more surprising it was during lunch time and off I go. Parking was bad or non existent but I was just going in to pickup. There was a short line and my food was ready in a flash as they have a bunch of fried chicken up in the warming trays already. They smelled heavenly, I dug into the fries while driving home and they were good with an odd taste of celery? They heated up really well too and oh my the biscuit was heavenly and I drizzle manuka honey on them. One of the best surprise bags I got, so worth it

Drove about 30 minutes to come here after seeing this place on upflip. Spent $34 on a 4 piece meal combo with a Colada Lemonade. Biscuit was Great, Chicken was Average, Fries ok, Drink was good not sugary. IG FoodPheens

The fried chicken is really crispy, juicy good. The best. You can choose the spicy vinegar dip or drizzle with honey or both. Biscuit is really good too.
Melissa Y — Google review
If you’re craving greasy, flavorless chicken, this is your spot! The sides were forgettable, and the catfish smelled like it needed a vacation. Save yourself the regret and just go to KFC.
Missy B — Google review
The chicken breading is not my preference, but the actual chicken inside tasted great. The fries were fine however the real star of the show is their biscuit, it’s easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The experience is bogged down by a noticeable wait time even though they had chicken on hand (they cooked mine fresh I guess?) and a price that is clearly adjusted because it’s right next to the Sony Studio. I will come back for their biscuit and to try their famous pecan pie.
Andrew S — Google review
Love this spot. Absolutely the best fried chicken you’ll get in South California. The ambience inside is not spectacular, but the food is and worth the weight. I’ve been coming here for 10 years, it’s a tradition for a family to go there for every birthday. You must have the chicken, biscuits and the pancakes. They are unreal. Don’t forget the honey and extra butter!
J. D — Google review
Prices are stupid. Chicken 👎🏽Service/ atmosphere 👎🏽 cramped dining area chicken strips slightly dry my favorite part was the biscuits.. Chicken batter not flavorful like it used to be.
Lina W — Google review
We came here after hearing so much buzz about their “famous” fried chicken, but it turned out to be one of the most disappointing food experiences we’ve had in LA. The chicken was extremely basic — lacking seasoning, crispiness, and flavor. Honestly, even a chain like Popeyes serves better fried chicken. If you’re visiting specifically for the fried chicken, save yourself the trip — it’s simply not worth the hype. What did taste good were the blueberry biscuit and the milkshake, which were genuinely enjoyable. But given the name and reputation, we expected the fried chicken to be the star, and it wasn’t even close.

Chicken restaurant
Restaurant
Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken is a long-standing chain known for its spicy fried chicken and classic sides, served in a casual atmosphere. Originating from Mason, Tennessee, this Memphis-based chain has been dishing out its renowned hot and spicy fried chicken for over 70 years. The breading on the chicken tends to be thinner, with a spice level that doesn't reach the intensity of Nashville-style hot chicken.
Some of the best fried chicken I ever had. I ordered the three piece white meat combo meal with a double side of coleslaw. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I accompanied the meal with a sweet tea of course. Why not the full experience. The restaurant is fairly big with plenty of seating. Great customer service and very friendly staff. The only tricky part is the parking. There is parking in the back alley, but it’s compact and small. If one car parks wrong, it creates a chain effect since the parking spaces are small. I ended up parking on the street to avoid the mess. This place is definitely a must try if you are in the area and you can definitely share the portions, they are big.
Omar R — Google review
The only answer I couldn't find prior to my first visit was "Do y'all serve beer?" Because a cold beer goes very well with some fried chicken. Well, the answer Im happy to report, is YES. The 40oz Budweiser is a bit pricey at $12, but damn sure hits the spot. Fried chicken is battered nicely. It has a spicy kick. Fried okra was great! Baked beans tasted like they came from a can. Slaw was a bit sweet but complimented the spicy chicken nicely. Service was good. Attentive and friendly.
Stephen H — Google review
I first discovered Gus’s in Memphis and couldn’t wait to try the LA location after moving here — and I’m happy to say it’s just as incredible. The chicken is fried to perfection: crispy, not greasy, and seasoned beautifully. It’s somehow rich yet feels light, which is rare for fried food. The staff are friendly, laid-back, and quick with service. This has quickly become one of my top 10 go-to spots in LA for comfort food that’s consistently excellent. The only thing I hope they improve is better management of the dine-in space. On my last two visits, a few non-dining individuals were allowed to sit inside for extended periods, which made the atmosphere a bit uncomfortable for guests. A little more attentiveness in maintaining the dining environment would make a big difference. That said, I still love this place and will absolutely keep coming back — it’s fried chicken done right.
Ali F — Google review
Simple and efficient! A very good Fried chicken, home style sides, concise menu and a vintage countryside decor. A recipe for success!! The coconut pie was too sweet for me and that’s why I’m giving a four star instead of five. But definitely a must try spot in LA!!
Célia — Google review
Attentive, friendly, professional service. Delicious crispy flavorful sides. Loved the beans & the Mac & Cheese. Don’t skip desert. The chocolate pie was scrumptious.

I thought I was going there for fresh fried chicken. It wasn’t fresh. It taste funny. Customer service. There was nice and helpful. Just thought it wasn’t. How really like my chicken. Didn’t have a flavor wasn’t done in the middle.
Neesha Q — Google review
This chicken is good! The Mac and cheese was not. I would come back for that chicken tho! I even dropped a piece outside and double back for another piece.
Dhawn D — Google review
Really simple, very good! This was a very homestyle, simple fried chicken. I appreciated Gus’ concise menu and great service. It was a refreshing change from the super seasoned, Nashville hot chicken that’s become so popular here in California. The breading is thin, crispy, and not heavy or greasy. You almost can’t tell it’s fried. The price was great too! we got a platter of 10 tenders for about 30 bucks and we couldn’t finish it all, we tried though hehe! I liked that, despite being a casual restaurant, the employees took our order at the table, and came back frequently with refills and extra sauce. Note: parking is tight here! They have a small backlot (almost always full), and street parking is a little challenging too, so beware and bring coins for the parking meters! If you’re looking for an old fashioned, easy chicken, at a clean and cozy place, check them out 😼

Chicken restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Tokyo Fried Chicken is a modern fast-food eatery that serves Japanese-influenced sides and craft beer. Located in San Gabriel Valley, this Asian eatery offers perfectly fried chicken with a variety of homemade sauces like spicy ponzu and soy. The restaurant also boasts a great selection of craft-heavy, Asian beers to complement the meal. After relocating to downtown LA, Tokyo Fried Chicken has reintroduced pre-pandemic dinner sets featuring fried wings and thighs alongside the popular drumsticks.
I always drive by place but never felt compelled to try it out since I thought how good could it be? I was wrong. The chicken is definitely the stand out dish here. Get a bucket of the warm crispy goodness because it was juicy but packed with so much flavor! The breading on the fried chicken is lightly spicy, super crunchy, and light at the same time. I loved the spicy sauce but def felt like it needed something acidic to cut the sweetness. The pickled cabbage was our fav side.
Molee H — Google review
Waited a good 40 minutes. There will always be people outside because they only have 3 tables inside at the moment. I’d recommend you to get it to go if you can. Not sure if it’ll taste the same though. We ordered the family pack. Waited for 30 minutes or so. It comes with sauces and sides! The chicken was super juicy and delicious! We ordered the spicy chicken skin as well. It was a bit pricey for how much they gave us. Didn’t fill up half the bag. The pricing overall for this spot is pretty up there. Parking isn’t difficult but if every shop opened in this plaza, you might not find parking.
Sherns W — Google review
Worth the money. 10-15min from order to take out My suspicion: tenders are full breasts. Sandwiches are made from boneless thighs. So delicious I ate like a pig at a trough. The chicken is worth the price here! Would eat here again. YUM. Ordered take out at 7pm on a Saturday night. Called and gave my name and last name initial with credit card information. Picked my order of one regular, one spicy chicken sandwich and 6 piece mixed. Mixed is drumsticks and tenders. Promise time 10-15 minutes. Ready as promised. Signed and left. I suspect the sandwiches are made from chicken thighs. Extra delicious. The spicy sandwich starts slow and builds. Comes with a pickle.
Henry C — Google review
My friend and I ordered the mixed family pack, which came with 6 drumsticks and 6 tenders, both of which were super juicy and flavorful. My only complaint was that the skin was a bit too crispy. The family pack also came with rice, pickled cabbage, and 2 sides. We got the curry creamed corn and potato salad and both were delicious. We also got a pitcher of the Asahi lychee cocktail. The first sip was good, but there was way too much lychee syrup in it. There were only 5 tables inside when I was there, so you’re probably going to have wait a bit. This place is super popular. We waited for about half an hour and there were a lot of people waiting for their takeout orders too.
Tony Y — Google review
One of the best fried chicken fusion. Chicken crispy outside, juicy inside melt into your mouth. Never expected the fusion with southern style work really well. Most recommended mac and cheese, try to order the whole dish instead of upgrading sides. Bigger portion well presented. Also collard greens braised in dashi broth...... my god so good... you gotta try this place.......
Williamdelon — Google review
Delicious fried chicken and sides all with Japanese flavor twists. Very well done. Especially enjoyed the fried chicken with the spicy sauce poured over it and the soy glazed yams. Can't comment on the service or speed since we ordered to go and ate it across the street on the benches before doing an escape room.
Gerrit K — Google review
Fried chicken is very good. We had mac & cheese, soy marinated yams, Sapporo yuzu beer, yuzu Lemonade & 9 pieces fried chicken. The is small about a dozen tables. There is usually a line. Wait is approximately 30-45 mins. If you don’t like to wait come early. Service is fantastic.
M J — Google review
This spot never fails me! If I’m looking for great fried chicken I always come here! The chicken rice is amazing, mashed potatoes phenomenal, curry corn is out of this world! The spicy ponzu sauce is great on the chicken. I’ve sampled a lot of fried chicken and this is at the Top underneath my grannies fried chicken of course! This place makes me so happy it brings joy to my belly! 😂

Southern restaurant (US)
Fast food restaurant
Nestled at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and Imperial Highway in Los Angeles, Jim Dandy Fried Chicken is a beloved fast-food gem that serves up mouthwatering fried chicken alongside delightful corn fritters and hushpuppies. This spot is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Southern flavors, offering both crispy original and spicy options to satisfy your taste buds. The corn fritters, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, are an absolute highlight that perfectly complements the chicken.
I ordered a chicken breast and a wing. That breast was very flavorful and juicy. The chicken was crispy and filled with a lot of white meat. The wing was good too. It came with some fitters and fries. The fritters was good. I definitely would recommend the restaurant to friends and family. For the price of this meal, you get a lot of band for your buck. Come on an empty stomach. You will leave satisfied.
Fresh W — Google review
I recently visited Jim Dandy Chicken, and it was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. The chicken, which should be the highlight, was far from enjoyable. It lacked any fresh flavor, and the breading carried a strong, unpleasant bitterness from grease that was clearly old and burnt. Instead of a crisp, golden crunch, the coating was uneven and unappetizing, overshadowing the taste of the meat entirely. The french fries were equally poor. They arrived pale, limp, and undercooked, with a mealy texture that made them unpleasant to eat. To make matters worse, there was absolutely no seasoning — not even a pinch of salt — leaving them bland and flavorless. A fried chicken restaurant should at least excel in frying food properly, but this visit showed a lack of care and quality at every level. Between the stale grease, undercooked fries, and complete lack of seasoning, I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed. I will not be returning to Jim Dandy Chicken and cannot recommend it to anyone.
David S — Google review
It just doesn't get any better than this! I'm a fried chicken lover from way back. I grew up in the South and have had my share, to say the least. I live in Orange County, but was doing some work in LA and thought I could find some good fried chicken in the area. I was looking for a little hole in the wall place and Voila, just off the freeway, there it stood. With a line out the door and the smell of fresh hot chicken in the air, I knew I had found my new chicken spot. This is fried chicken the way it should be done. Hot, fresh, juicy, and absolutely delicious! The pieces are large too, unlike some other places. The sides are great as well. The stand out favorite is the spicy rice. OMG it's good. I don't know how they've been able to keep their prices so low in today's economy, but they have. I can feed my whole extended family without breaking the bank. As it said, I live far, but about every month or so I make the 45 minute drive to get me some chicken. Of course, it doesn't all make it home. If you've ever eaten here, I'm preaching to the choir. If you haven't, stop what you're doing and go... right now. Why are you still reading this? GO!

Best fried chicken spot if you’re craving some good licking chicken! LOL Everything on the menu is good. The only negative is there no seating to eat there, everything is to go. Best to go to the nearest park and enjoy your meal. Cheerio!! :)
Vanessa — Google review
I liked the spicy chicken way better than the original. The original wasn't that good to me. As for the fritters, I'm not a sweet tooth eater, so I didn't really care for them too much. Next time I will probably just get the dinner roll. The dirty rice was delicious. The drink is not really anything special to me.
Derek H — Google review
The chicken is soooo good, its kept behind bullet proof glass. Not kidding. I was lucky to be working in an area close by and this was on my way back. Their fried chicken is the best, super crispy on the outside with excellent crunchy Ness. The inside is tender, even with me being in traffic to get home another 35 minutes, it was a huge chicken breast, so big that me it going to be lunch tomorrow or maybe breakfast. I'll pop it in the air fryer and relive the deliciousness again. The fritters.... so good! Tastes to me like a plain donut but covered with powdered sugar. The chicken comes with a cayenne pepper sauce that really compliments the chicken. Ketchup for me if for my fries, so if I can remember, next time I'll say no ketchup. It's really a to go place, there was a line, but they are quick as they know as much chicken as they fry, it will sell. I asked for regular, don't know how spicy the spicy chicken is.

The atmosphere is very minimal, but the chicken is really good! Crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The fritters are excellent too!

Well Jim dandy’s is actually a staple for losangeles this is the last one left if I’m not mistaken u guys the food was good the chicken was okay but I really go there for the chicken and rice which is a side and ask for the fritters with extra powered sugar I guarantee u will wanna get more they sell them but I believe 3 so I always drive 60 miles to get 12 lol. But there really good and the price is super reasonable I believe u can get a 3 pc for under 12$ don’t quote me but there is no place to sit so if u have any problem standing bring someone with u. Gol Tong Chicken is a small, unassuming establishment owned by Kil Chae Jeong, a former film director turned fried chicken connoisseur. The menu features only three items: soy garlic chicken, chili chicken, and classic crunchy fried chicken, all made from boneless thigh meat. Customers rave about the Director's Cut which includes all three flavors. The shop may be easy to miss due to its small size and limited parking space.
Simply outstanding Korean fried chicken with a super unique twist! Fried to crunchy perfection while remaining so tender and juicy inside. Topped with wide variety of fresh fruit And those sauces are sticky goodness!
Alex X — Google review
It’s nice seeing people live out their dreams and make something so nice. I heard about this place and had to try it. We got the smaller directors cut. Ngl this was amazing to see and it taste just as good. The Soy garlic was my favorite sauce. Now I know fruit and fried chicken is different but it’s nice actually . All the flavors or salty and sweet come together nicely. The place is alittle small but it’s impressive that it’s a one man show. Highly recommended if you are in the area .
Killua L — Google review
We chose here based on the high ratings. ⭐️ It's a 1 man show here, with the ex Korean film director serving and cooking. There was a lot of seating for such a small space. We also counted nine TVs lining the walls or windows showing K-pop. Liked: • The honey and soy Fried Chicken was crispy and truly delicious 😋 • The dish was beautifully presented with a mixture of summer fruits, adding natural sweetness to the savoury flavours • We arrived before it became busy and he even posed for the photo when I was capturing the interior of the restaurant. Didn't like: • I came on an empty tummy and had an upset stomach 15 minutes after I finished eating, so the food did not agree with me 🤢 • As a one man show on a busy evening, there was not much service but he still expected a tip • He would not split bills, presumably to save time • We did not understand from the menu that one dish would be enough to serve two people. As soon as one person ordered he left without hearing the second person. Conclusion: it does not give me pleasure to write these comments, especially for a small business, but sadly there will only be one take for me.😭

One of the most interesting Korean fried chicken places - chicken served with fruit. Both the chicken and fruit were excellent quality. The meat was crispy and moist, and they definitely give you your money's worth with how big the pieces are as well as how much is served. The fruit is fresh, sweet, varied, and abundant. I'm not quite sure what the point of piling fried chicken and fresh fruit together was though. It looks interesting and is a unique combination, but it's not even that the chicken is made with the fruit to integrate the flavors together; it's just the chicken is fried and the fruit is thrown on top of it. Try it if you're looking for something unique. Also, credit to the owner, as he's the only one working there (at least when I was there), and he maintained a quick and friendly service.
Kai N — Google review
A lot of people hyped this place up but im not sure what the deal is. The resturant is owned by an elderly former Korean film maker and its only him. No other staff to sit up down, take our order, or make our payment. There's a total of 5 options will 3 of them being boneless and 2 others starring at $75. The chicken was good but nothing great. Enough to feed 3-4 people or 2 very hungry people. Be prepared to wait for everything.
Victor T — Google review
We stumbled upon this restaurant and turns out it was very good! Food cooked and brought out by the former director himself. We didnt have to wait to order. We order our food to go and did not have to wait very long. The fried chicken was delicious! I bet it would have been even better in the restaurant. The sauces provided were very tasty and we enjoyed the fruits! It complemented it well. Would recommend and return. Small parking lot tho.
Vee H — Google review
The food here is unbelievably good. The chicken, fruit, and veggies are always of the utmost quality and taste incredible together and by themselves. I've had the director's cut a few times and love all three flavors. The chicken alone is worth the price - the texture, flavor, and size are all fantastic. By itself, it's the best korean fried chicken I've had. But the fruit and vegetables are what really take it over the top for me - they're somehow always perfectly ripe, seriously erupting with flavor. That said, even if you're not a fan of fruit, my girlfriend loves this place and isn't a big fruit person. Yes, when it's busier the service isn't to the typical American standard - he's having to run around to tend to everyone and everything - but it's always satisfactory. But on the slower days, I've found that he's actually quite welcoming and has a fun energy. I have to commend Director Gol Tong for what he has accomplished with this restaurant. It's a solo act, which I can only imagine is an incredible amount of work. It's remarkable that the quality is so consistent.

The Prince is a historic Korean-style fried chicken restaurant located in Koreatown, Los Angeles. It has been around since the 1920s and boasts old-school grandeur with red booths, octagonal tables, and live piano music. The restaurant was even featured in the TV show Mad Men. Its 1920s Hollywood vibe makes it a popular spot for a weekend night out.
We come here a few times a year. The fried chicken is really good. Really, anything you order is good, and we love the whole old Hollywood vibe. We also love ringing the bell when we need service. They really need to have soy sauce or ponzu sauce. Bring your own because they don't have any to dip your pot stickers in, and the sauce they give you is just mayonnaise.
Precious — Google review
Had such a great time at Prince! The service was incredible and the food + drink combo is the best value. Portions are generous, and the Korean-style fried chicken was one of the most tender and flavorful I've had. They even surprised us with a fried squid "birthday cake" for my friend--so fun and memorable. Amazing atmosphere, can't wait to come back. There's also parking lot behind the building on Catalina St.

This is a great restaurant that offers a dimly lit environment. The ambiance is perfect for relaxing and having a chill experience for having a few drinks. I recommend ordering the fried chicken or fried rice. They offer valet parking and also have free street parking nearby, if you get lucky.

Excellent atmosphere. Excellent quality cocktails and not a bad price either. Get those kimchi cheese balls! And the French fries are so good it’s like they came directly from the Golden Arches. - side note, I was here during a power outrage a few years ago and the staff was so cool about it, they kept serving and we ate and drank by candle light and they trusted us to Venmo them the following day once their system was back up. Looking forward to more nights at the Prince.

Fried chicken is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend ordering the half-and-half: half spicy chicken and half of the regular deep-fried, unbattered style. The interior has a cozy, romantic atmosphere with an old Hollywood vibe—perfect for Instagram or Facebook photos. Of course, they have other yummy Korean dishes like pancakes, rice, and so on. They are good. But again, their deep fried chicken is unrivaled. The drink menu is extensive and creative, but honestly, we come here for the chicken. It’s tender and juicy on the inside, perfectly crispy on the outside. The spicy version has a light batter, just the right touch of sweetness, and a balanced kick of heat. Truly a must-try spot if you love fried chicken! Great place to host a group party, have a quiet romantic date night, or solo hang out on a random Wednesday.
Isekai T — Google review
I stumbled into this place on a whim while I was waiting for a concert to start nearby. I didn't expect the vibes to be so cool! It literally looked like a speakeasy but with knight armor instead of roaring 20's props. I loved that they had a service button so we don't have to chase the server or beg for their attention. The food was delicious. We ordered the potstickers and the cellophane noodles. I thought we had ordered the veggie potstickers but there was chicken inside. They were a little more oily than I'm used to but enjoyable regardless. I ordered the cellophane noodles (aka glass noodles) thinking it would be in a broth, but it was on a plate.

Food and drinks were both really good. Got the fried chicken, chapchae, and kimchi fried rice. And the midnight cowboy and Tropic of Cancer. Service was fine. Vibe was cozy and old school. Loved it, will be back

Daybird is a fast-casual eatery offering Szechuan fried chicken sandwiches and fries. Founded by Mei Lin, the restaurant stands out with its unique Sichuan-style spice blend that brings a different heat to the Nashville-style chicken scene. The jidori chicken, coated in rice flour and fried in rice bran oil, offers a crispy texture that shatters on first bite.
I love chicken sandwiches and Daybird just nabbed the top spot on my list. The chicken was juicy, had a good crunch, and was seasoned very well. My favorite part was the slaw which was surprising since I'm not usually a coleslaw lover. It had an Asian flare and the cilantro and peppers in it really enhanced the sandwich. I was very impressed with the portion size since it filled me up and I usually eat quite a bit. The fries were good too. They weren't anything super special but they were quite crispy and that's what I enjoy most in fries. There aren't any chairs so don't go in respecting that, but if you don't mind standing it's rather fun to eat while watching the kitchen work. I will definitely go back if I get the chance!

What an amazing chicken sandwich. I got the Szechuan sando of course and let me tell you it was all I could imagine and more. The chicken was so flavorful. Customer service was easy and quick I ordered online. Fries and ranch were great as well. I will be back!

Best spicy chicken sandwich in LA IMO. Ignore the photos because they just don’t do the unique sandwich justice. Spicy and sweet and really good size for the price. Hot was actually spicy but still so much flavor, which was nice. The big sleeper here are the cookies… i don’t know what the flavor was but it was 10/10 warm and soft! Definitely worth a visit!
Ryan W — Google review
Dude. These are the best chicken sandwiches. Periodt. Ya basically get a whole extra patty the sits outside the bun but where I’m shook is the FRESHNESS and VIBRANCY of the incredible slaw the works so gorgeously w the perfectly fried, seasoned and brined chicken. I was dancing and humming and like trying to understand how it was that good. I loved the potato salad as a side, perfect cool element to the heat of the sandwich’s. The fries were good too. Omg and the cookie!! Yo that cookie is delicious!! It didn’t even need to be hit it was. Lemonade was the perfect way to tie ot all together. Got there before it opened and the line was three deep w people ordering and rolling up while we stood at the standup bar to eat. No tables, just a long 5-6 person stand up bar. Service was efficient, no warmth or vibe but didn’t need it cuz the food is en pointe and speaks for itself. Solid, thank you Chef Mei, wow!!

Place is a pretty small I won’t lie probably max 6 people can fit in side to eat. Me and a friend went there for our first time since I saw their fried fish sandwich online. And might I say it did not disappoint. For $17 you get a nice good chunk of high quality cod covered in a nice creamy but somewhat light tartar sauce in a nice soft bun. The fish had lots of flavor had a bit of a kick to it but not spicy more of a heat kind of spice. I didn’t notice that the fries were separate which were $3, nothing special but a good quality and nice crispy fries. Now is it worth it? Yeah I would say so ended up paying $20 dollars and man it was one of the best fried fish sandwiches I’ve had but it’s not a place I would go to everyday for more like a special occasion type place. The photo I took didn’t do the sand which justice hahaha but trust it’s good!
Vic G — Google review
Daybird serves up some pretty large and juicy Szechuan chicken sandwiches. The sandwich features a Jidori chicken thigh fried in rice bran oil and house-made spicy slaw on a Martin's potato bun. You can choose 5 different spice level options: no heat, mild, medium, hot, or extreme. I went with medium and it had a nice kick, but wasn't overwhelmingly spicy. As chicken sandwiches go, this is a pretty good option. They are $16 per sandwich, which for the size of the sandwich isn't a horribly overpriced sandwich. I got fries on the side and a drink as well. There is a little parking lot in this plaza. Inside of Daybird, there was standing room only on the sides to eat. Other customers come in to pick up and take the sandwiches to go.

I've been dreaming of this place. My friends and I ate here once. We were visiting and saw a tiktok and fell in love. The portion size is awesome but the flavors far exceed that value. If you're seeking spice it will be unmatched. If you're asking value it's there. If you're seeking a hole in the wall with unmatched flavor you've found the spot. Support this gem and get an extra water. I can't wait to travel 1500 miles to eat another amazing sandwich. You will forever in our minds be known as "beach chicken" your legacy only continues in our dreams, hearts, and minds.

This was featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-in & Dives". Owned my Food Network's Iron Chef Mei Lin. It's has only limited stand up counter. The sandwich is unique as it's twice the size of bun. The chicken great fried texture & crunch. The seasoning is unique & good - similar to a szechuan. cinnamon clove nutmeg and southern blackened Cajon... the pickled cabbage / slaw is subjective (personally I like mine more on the creamy side)... this is more pickled and drier. Was very spicy. I would suggest asking / trying sauces. (Wasn't offered - I should have requested)... the menu is very limited and basic fries. It's not a cheap sandwich at $16 - but if you're a foodie, it's worth trying once if you're in the area.

I will dream of the potatoes we ate here for the rest of my life and beyond. Came with friends for DineLa and ordered everything on the menu. Not a single bad bite but the potatoes were the stand out. Desserts were not too sweet on a good way. Good bar program. Som came and helped us with our wine choices. Serving was familiar and casual but knowledgeable. Pacing was a little off switch a few previous course items left on table while next course was served but it was a fun, fancy tavern vibe.

Came here with two friends for Dine LA! First time being here. It was great. The food is so tasty, the chicken was juicy even though it was breaded. The portions are large, even though they may appear small. The wait staff are very attentive. Overall, it was a seamless experience with great food, ambient lighting and a cute outdoor porch area. Great date night place as well. I don’t drink alcohol however they do have an array of cocktails and a very extensive wine list.

We enjoyed a nice dinner during our visit to LA. The focaccia was delicious and had a perfect crust. I ordered the fried chicken and it was so tender and juicy. The portion sizes are smaller and meant for sharing. We ended up being quite full after our meal. The food was very good, but didn’t blow us away. All very simple and fresh, so can’t complain! The restaurant itself is very nice and great for a nice dinner.

Dinah's Chicken is a family-owned establishment that has been serving up delicious chicken and sides since 1967. The classic fried chicken joint offers a homemade taste that rivals popular chains.
OMG…we had such an amazing dining experience at Dinah’s today. Being that we were 1st time diners, our server Kim, was extremely attentive and helpful with menu suggestions. Her effervescent personality was a refreshing touch! We had an opportunity to sample a few sides, all of which were fresh, well-seasoned and flavorful. Our meals were prepared to perfection and arrived piping hot! We definitely enjoyed every bite. AND…we purchased additional items to take out. Dinah’s is a culinary experience, one that everyone should try! You’ll be pleasantly pleased.

First time trying Dinah's. The restaurant has take out orders and indoor dining. Friendly service and really good chicken. Ordered 4 drumsticks to go and the chicken was fresh hot and delicious . The coating was light and crispy and the chicken pieces were large and very tasty. There is a wait for the chicken but every order it is made fresh and not sitting around like other fast food places. The chicken was hot juicy, super crispy and delicious but not heavily battered unlike other places. They also have shrimp platter , coleslaw, potato salad and even home made pies. Well worth a visit . Loved the chicken.

I love the down home family style of the place. The server was extremely nice and help. The chicken itself was juicy, but otherwise just okay. I would have preferred crisper skin and better seasoning but I'm also from the south and picky about fried chicken. The mashed potatoes and gravy were good. Overall, it's a fun spot for comfort food.

Nothing special, very bland tasting food. Lacking seasoning on everything. Paid 28$ for all you see. They say 1$ drum sticks but you have to order 16$ worth of food to get the deal, very misleading. Rating would have been higher if they didn't purposely mislead people. As an added bonus I found a hair in my fries, they claimed it was just corn hair. After that I couldn't finish the food, paid and left. Never coming here again. Aviod.

Old school diner feel. The chicken is tasty, tender and juicy. All of the sides are excellent and so are the pies. The menu is not large but everyone can find something to their l liking. The gizzards are pretty good and the side portion is enough for the table. I've been going there for at least 50 years. Great food. Try going off lunch and dinner times as the dining room is limited in its seating. Take out is a great option as well.

I have eaten here for over 20 years. I know the owners personally. They are good to their employees and have contributed much to our local communities through donations, feeding hungry people, and simply running an honest business that provides great food at a good price with a smile. This eatery is a Glendale gem, a meeting place for the community and a unique experience that you can only get at this family owned restaurant. My favorites are the chicken, coleslaw and corn--each designed with great care, starting with the sourcing through the preperation to the presentation. Each food offering on the menu has been carefully tested by family, friends and patrons before being offered to you. If you have never eaten at Dinah's chicken, you have to try it. If you have already enjoyed the experience, then you do not need my recommendation to get seconds and thirds.

Anajak Thai Cuisine is a well-established Thai restaurant in Los Angeles, offering a diverse menu along with beer, wine, and happy-hour specials. The restaurant has gained attention due to the recognition of its chef, Justin Pichetrungsi, who won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: West in 2023.
My first time here-wow!! I was blown away by the friendliness of the staff (I’ve never had so many staff check in with me during my dining experience in a while). They definitely know how to make someone feel at home. I’d say the big miss was the fried chicken (it’s 5 pieces). I was curious about it since it was their “signature dish”. For one it’s like $35/40 which I think is a little steep. I thought it was very underwhelming it just felt very disjointed (didn’t really get the signature appeal of it). The waiter asked if I wanted to take any of it home (I told him I wasn’t very impressed with it; was a miss for me). Between the steep price tag and underwhelming flavor I definitely had some “buyers remorse” on that dish haha. I went with the spicy drunken noodles (added chicken) that was very delicious (great flavors). It definitely brought the heat; portion size was appropriate for the pricing. I’d definitely come back for the drunken noodles or to try other entree options definitely pass on the fried chicken. Parking is street parking; the lot next to them is for chipotle customers. I’d definitely recommend Anjak Thai excellent spot for Thai food in LA.

A delicious evening with some great friends. The restaurant was busy on this Saturday night but the hospitality and service was exceptional. The restaurant manager and Sommelier came by for greetings and to talk about their extensive wine list. The food was all cooked to perfection. Each entree came out steady. We sat outside on the side of the alley under large heaters and jamming 2000s hip hop music. Seating was filled inside and out. The atmosphere was loud in the restaurant. There was also a line of people waiting on the sidewalk. We had made prior reservations. It was a good first experience. I just wished the portions were bigger for the price. Reservations are recommended. There's street parking. Some are metered. Free residence parking is on and around Dickens St.

My fiancé and I waited over a year to finally have the chance to see what all the hype was about, and it was absolutely worth the wait. We were able to get a reservation during their reopening. We started with the Papaya Salad and wow, this was the absolute favorite of the night. The flavors of the papaya and peach was just perfection. Next, we had the Thai River Prawn. The taste and and texture was so unique but delicious. Our mains were the Pad Siew and the drunken noodles. Both were the best of those dishes I’ve ever had. It was an incredible experience and I can’t wait to go back!

Great dinner with my mom. We ordered the pork ribs with pineapple glaze, scallops, sizzling steak and the bok choy. It was a low carb night for us. It was really good! Only issue is that it took a while for us to get the veggies as they were not served the entrees. The restaurant was beautifully renovated and feels bigger but still has the same vibe as before. It’s still loud inside but less so compared to before. You can easily find street parking.
Jennifer M — Google review
This is a high priced Thai restaurant ($100+ a person) and has great presentation, but overall is lacking in value. The food was all good, however, it is Thai “light” and everything is missing the depth of flavor that you find with really authentic Thai food that you can find in multiple inexpensive restaurants in Thai Town. Food is the most important part of eating out. The papaya salad was the most disappointing and the sauce on the hamachi the most delicious. The bream was good with great crispy skin, but again had no Thai punch behind the sauce. The cabbage with chutney I liked, but again I need to be wowed if I’m paying $30 for cabbage. I did not leave feeling full even though we also ordered fried rice, scallops and mango sticky rice. I was not even wowed enough to take photos of everything. The portions are very small. The decor is sub par and feels more like a basic casual restaurant and I certainly would not have been happy seated in the alley way with folding table and chairs. The wine from Czechia was wonderful. The worst part of the dinner was the noise level. Playing loud music in a small space forcing everyone to talk above it made it impossible to carry on a conversation and I couldn’t wait to be done with dinner. If you are charging high end prices you need to deliver an experience that matches which doesn’t including blasting music. It’s also surprising they are only open for dinner when they are not a high end dinner place. So the end result was good food across the board but a lot of negatives. It’s a good reasonably priced cafe minus the reasonable prices. The only thing high end is the price and the plating.

The food, when it finally appeared after about 40 minutes, was quite good — so good it almost made me forget how long I’d been waiting. The staff seemed as surprised as we were when the dishes eventually showed up, which added a bit of mystery to the evening. Definitely a great spot if you enjoy suspense with your dinner.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in the valley. Great food and atmosphere, all the sommeliers here are very knowledgeable and make great pairings, big shout-out to Ian and michael today! My favorite thing on the menu is the branzino

The foods are good and the service is nice, but it takes us FOREVER to wait for the food. We waited for 30 min for a mango sticky rice, which is after we waited 10min for EACH of the dish to came out. We ordered 5 dishes for three ppl and spent the majority of the time waiting instead of enjoying our food. Added: we asked how long do we need to wait for it and informed the server that we have plans afterwards, if it is not with in 10 min, we want to take it off the order, and then 20min passed without anything. We called the server and was told it’s gonna be more than 20min. We were literally told wrong information. And we had to cancel our plans afterwards. Such a great way to enjoy Halloween 😅

Restaurant
Kyochon Chicken is a popular Korean-style chicken spot known for its spicy wings and drumsticks drenched in soy-ginger glaze or fiery red pepper paste. Despite the hype cooling down, the restaurant's thin-skinned, garlic-saturated bird still draws crowds. The franchise has made its way to Koreatown, offering customers a chance to savor their beloved wings either dining in or taking out.
I’ve been waiting for this location to reopen, and now it finally has! The whole indoor atmosphere has changed a lot—in a very good way—and the design in front of the restroom was quite impressive. The waitress at the front of the house was so friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. And the taste—obviously, absolutely great! To be honest, it was even better than before. My friends and I fell in love with the honey chicken, tteokbokki, and garlic fried rice. Especially the Salsal chicken—it was my little one’s favorite! We really enjoyed our time here, and we’ll definitely be back soon!

I recently tried the chicken at this restaurant and was very impressed. The two different styles of chicken were both unique and delicious. The crispy sticks coated with puffed rice had a light and crunchy texture that was very enjoyable. They weren’t greasy at all, and the coating gave a satisfying bite with every piece. The sauced chicken wings were coated in a rich, sticky glaze that had a perfect balance of sweetness and savory notes. The flavor was bold but not overwhelming, and the wings were juicy and well-cooked inside. The presentation was also very nice, served on wooden boards with parchment paper, making the dishes feel fresh and inviting. Overall, it was a great dining experience. The food was flavorful, the textures were excellent, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves fried chicken with a twist.

First time to Kyochon after hearing great reviews from my girlfriend. Glad it is finally reopened. The place was closed for a few months for renovation and expansion of the kitchen and dining areas. The place has a refreshed look with modern furnishings and an ordering tablet at each table. There is a large TV perfect for game nights. Take out orders are still very popular in addition to more tables. Regarding the food, this place is known to be very popular in Korea. Trying the wings and it is true that they are superior. I highly recommend the honey chicken. The soy garlic wings were just average but still good. I thought the radish and coleslaw was pickled very well. We also ordered potato wedges and they were crispy on the outside and deliciously soft on the inside.

Shame on this restaurant for calling this a discount. This was not a bad deal…..It was exploitation!! Kyochon is taking advantage of delivery app promotions by advertising “buy one, get one free” while quietly changing what the item actually is. What used to be a full chicken has turned into a pile of chopped-up bones with the meat stripped off. It’s a trick. And it’s annoying. 🤬 I have literally given Kyochon a positive review before. Not perfect, but fair. I said it was hit or miss, but when they got it right, the chicken was flavorful and crispy. I called the boneless pieces juicy. That was based on real, decent delivery food. This time was completely different. We ordered two whole chickens—Soy Garlic and Honey—under their buy-one-get-one promotion. We paid almost $50, even with the promotion. In other words, they are trying to charge $50 for one of these meals alone. And what showed up was nothing close to a whole chicken. No breasts. No thighs. No full cuts. Just broken bones coated in batter. 🦴 It felt like they used the real meat for other dishes and gave us the scraps. This wasn’t a mistake. It was a strategy. Create a fake “deal,” reduce the portion size, change the product, split one meal across two containers, and pass it off as generous. Flavor alone might have earned 2 stars. But this wasn’t about taste. It was about being misled. I have never felt more tricked by a restaurant order. We ended up having to order from another place because it was either that or eat chicken bones for dinner. 😱 Yes, there were a few pieces with meat, but you’d get three times as much actual chicken from a store-bought rotisserie for eight dollars—compared to both of these so-called “whole chickens” combined. 🤨 I want a refund. Verdict. Charisma 2. Uniqueness 2. Nerve 1. Talent 2.

Grand re-opening was super crowded. The waitress was very accommodating and made it a better experience. Make sure you try the special tenders, it's really crispy and done with mini rice pellets I wish they advertised the Makgeolli (rice wine), I think that would have been better for business. I actually had to ask about it because it wasn't anywhere on the ordering menu. Kyochon is still one of the best in town.

I love the restaurant's vibe. However the check-in was pretty unorganized. After I got seated, everything went pretty fast even if they had many things sold out on the menu. Thank you Hoon for your kind service and advice

Kyochon is back!! First time back since the remodel. Everything looks very clean with beautiful aesthetics. The chicken tastes the same as I remember it. They even gave a free sample of soy garlic and red hot chicken wings while we waited for our table to open. Very friendly service.

OB Bear is a beloved tavern nestled in the heart of Koreatown, known for its vibrant atmosphere and traditional Korean bar fare. This iconic spot serves up delicious dishes like spicy fried chicken wings, sautéed octopus, and ggaenip pancakes that pair perfectly with cold Korean beers. Despite facing challenges from a fire in 2020, OB Bear has been lovingly restored to maintain its charm.
This place knows what it is. Its a quaint hole in the wall with great service and fantastic Korean fair. I wish I lived near by, because this would become my staple. Parking is a wreck like anywhere downtown but there are a couple garages and a restaurant specific lot just two units down. Everything fills up quick so hurry now while its hot.

Nondescript dive bar store front, but they offer a really good menu, all in Korean. Their fried chicken was delicious and crispy and the squid noodles were spicy and flavorful, but people come here for the wings. They were absolutely delicious, with just the right amount of spice (could be a tad spicier), very sweet, and flavorful. Definitely some of the best wings I’ve enjoyed. A bit on the pricey side otherwise.

Great atmosphere! Come with a group and order drinks but especially the food that goes with it; huge platters of sliced pigs' feet with pickled accompaniments, crunchy Korean fried chicken wings with a side of thinly sliced cabbage topped with thousand island dressing (a perfect pairing) and massive seafood pancakes. Valet parking in a small covered lot a couple doors down but fills up quickly on weekends.

There's been a huge spike in foot traffic since UGLY DELICIOUS, aired. Some things to note: 1. There's a parking lot close by, but is not connected to the restaurant itself. Look for the "OB 주차장" next to the all you can eat BBQ place 2. Bring your IDs. This place is 21+ and they will check usually 3. Spicy wings are a must 4. The whole fried chicken is very unique. Whole fried without batter and dipped in salt and pepper 5. All the spicy pan fried dishes are great. Sweet, smokey, and spicy. I recommend the squid or octopus with a side of rice. It includes lots of protein and rice cakes. 6. For service: please press the button in your booth. Korean style waitressing means they'll come when dinged by the booth button.

It's a traditional Korean restaurant. Tea is also available, and we recommend chicken and red pepper paste. There are many Koreans and other people, and the service is friendly. Takeout is also available and the price is reasonable.

Good wings! Short wait even on a Saturday night. Friendly and attentive staff. T_T "Spicy" wings aren't as spicy as I would hope... They're really sweet but everything else about the taste profile was on point

Quick service and good food. Can't ask for anything else from this place. I highly recommend the leek pancakes (they come in two) aside from the chicken wings.

Restaurant
Sweet Chick is a trendy spot known for its gourmet chicken and waffles, making it a go-to destination for down-home Southern comfort food with a modern twist. Despite the initial hype surrounding its ownership by rapper Nas, this restaurant has established itself as an affordable dining option on Fairfax. The menu features solid chicken and waffles along with an array of cocktail options. The spacious and casual ambiance makes it ideal for a quick dinner with friends or family.
If I could give a place 6 stars this would be it! There's so much to say about this establishment and I'll do my best giving it it's proper credit. In the age of masks and vaccinations, Sweet Chick made it very easy to avoid contact with their staff for safety concerns and I was grateful for this updated way of ordering. The way they do things here is by using a QR code to order, pay & tip all before receiving the food and all the host or server does is bring the food and beverages. There's no need for frequent contact with the server, and this made me feel safer even though I'm vaccinated, it was the thought of a collective safety that made this experience that much better. Now what I ordered was the Crispy Chicken Salad (LA) and a Ginger Ale beverage. The salad was well plated and presented very well. The clash of arugula with the fried chicken, acidity of the tomatoes and the cool ranch dressing far exceeded my expectations. I felt as though the salad occupied its own space in the salad archives. To top it all off the avocados were drizzled with a coarse salt that made them pop with flavor. I was a bit skeptical about ordering the salad at a place where the chicken sandwiches and waffles are among the more popular items but its safe to say I'll be ordering the Crispy Chicken Salad (LA) each time I visit Sweet Chick. Bravo!

Overall, this place was really good. It's a good size restaurant with a nice vibe. I loved the music. I didn't want to leave so I could listen to more. Service was great. We had the chicken wings, mac and cheese, blueberry muffin waffle, chicken and waffle, crispy fish sandwich with fries, 3 piece bone-in crispy chicken and the chiquilale (I probably spelled it wrong). It was a good selection of food. The chicken and waffle was probably the best. My son got it with the honey chipotle sauce. The chiquilale was really good too. The crispy fish sandwich was so fresh and a good size. My bone-in chicken was good. The pieces were really big. More for 2 people to share. I was disappointed in the Mac and cheese. It had no taste at all. The wings were underwhelming and very small for the price. In any case, I would definitely come back to try more dishes. The spicy honey butter biscuit sounds good.

If you’re new here: like us, take a moment to check out the specials written on the chalkboard easel. All the sides we tried here were amazing. Mac n cheese were shell noodles, the brussel spouts were delicious, hush puppies were cool, slaw was on point. The drinks were great too! They were able to create a 3 piece boneless chicken strips and waffle fries for the kiddo. I mightve ordered more if the person on register told me more about the dishes or asked what I liked. I told her it was our first time. Its definitely worth it.

Loved this chicken spot. The Honey Garlic chicken is something you can't get anywhere else and is delicious. Their Brussels sprouts were surprisingly some of the best we've had. It has been a trendy menu item for the past few years and we had been getting tired of them, but sweet chick did them right. Thought the jalapeno hush puppies could use a bit more flavor and the regular waffle had a hint of citrus in it, which wasn't my thing, but loved the bacon cheddar waffle. Would definitely go back.
Connie R — Google review
I had the Chicken with the Blueberry Muffin Waffles! It was absolutely delicious! The balance of sweet with fresh blueberries in the waffles and within the cinnamon muffin crumble with lemon glaze- was a delightful surprise! They even do special orders, my daughter had the Spicy Honey Chicken to accompany her chicken and waffles- woah! That spice was on point. It did not overpower the natural, subtly seasoned flavors in the fried chicken. This was a definite plus on our radar of good joints in LA! Definitely worth visiting again! #support! Returned today 1213/21 and the seasonal pumpkin pie waffles were amazing!! I could not finish my serving. They include fresh chunks of pumpkin pie pieces. The flavor is remarkable, it provides sufficient sweetness to the waffles so that you do not require syrup. I am not a pie eater, but this entrée was delicious!

I’ve been here 5-6 times. It’s a good place to eat after shopping in the area. In general food is really good, I love waffles and Mac&cheese, but half of the times chicken came overcooked and the portions size also vary. Not a bad experience, but they can do much better.
Mary M — Google review
I really loved the fried chicken and waffles. The waffles are a little sweet and are extra good with the chicken. The Fry's are tasty but they are a little oily but besides that they are good. They give you three home made butters that are all great with the waffles. There fake chicken was super realistic and yummy as well. The skin on the chicken is super crunchy and flavorful. Great place for a brunch. Their music is extremely loud making it quite distracting from the dining expirence. Nice servers no wait to get seated.

We stumbled upon this place looking for somewhere to go for my cousins birthday. I must say that this place exceeded any expectations I've ever had for chicken and waffles. It not just eating but one of this restaurants when you are having a "dining experience." Plain and simple everything was delicious. We got the crawfish hush puppies with this wonderful spicy jelly. Fried chicken sliders and bacon cheddar waffles. They key here is that they give you a variety of butters shown above that take your palate to a new level. My cousin ordered an alcoholic beverage and said it was good but didn't match the flavor profile of her food. There are so many more options to explore. Excellent place to have dinner!

Highly Likely is a charming, laid-back café nestled in West Adams, perfect for those leisurely brunches or lunch breaks. With a delightful patio setting, it serves up an array of breakfast options, fresh salads, and scrumptious sandwiches alongside a selection of wines. One standout dish is the Lil Chicky Sando—a unique take on the classic fried chicken sandwich that’s surprisingly light yet bursting with flavor.
Highly Likely is one of my favorite spots to grab lunch—there’s just something about the vibe that feels effortless and welcoming. It’s cool without trying too hard, and the food is always on point. I’ve tried at least four items on the menu, and every single time it’s consistently fresh, delicious, and makes me feel good afterward. It’s the kind of place that always delivers, so when we can’t decide where to eat, Highly Likely is the easy choice.

A hip neighborhood place to come for coffee and awesome bites. To sooth my Asian soul, the brown rice porridge bowl (Kyoto?) hit the spot. Lupe, the manager, recommended a vanilla cappuccino that has perfect balance of sweetness and foam. Excellent food, service and even customers. I had a very pleasant conversation with a togo customer while we sat at the bar munching our breakie. Come check it out!

Great place!! They changed their hours/menu about a month ago but haven’t changed their info online. From opening to 5pm, they only serve this new “happy hour” menu. So keep that in mind! I really loved the creativity of their food/drinks, but the taste was not as good.

Hard to call it a hidden gem—but a gem it is! I was looking for a spot to work for a few hours and decided to try Highly Likely. I arrived early enough to have my pick of seats, but within 30 minutes most were filled and a line was forming. By lunchtime, every seat was taken and the line stretched out the door. It’s easy to see why: the food is both incredible and beautiful, the coffee and tea are spot-on, and the menu has plenty of tempting options (I didn’t even get to peek at the pastries!). The staff moved quickly to bus tables and keep things flowing, all while being genuinely friendly. The crowd felt like the neighborhood itself—diverse, lively, and full of character. Friends catching up, a working mom on a call with her son in tow, locals dropping in for their morning cup. I also love that laptops are welcome during the day but put away after 5pm to make room for the dinner crowd (with wine!). Can’t wait to come back.

So happy this location started dinner service now! Breakfast and lunch are always fantastic…now we have a wonderful dinner spot. Crab tostada, artichokes, Caesar are fantastic starters. Steak au poivre, fish are amazing. Love HiLi
Jon R — Google review
A relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel like you could linger for hours. Bright, airy interior with plenty of natural light. There was a good mix of people—some with laptops working while others socializing—contributing to the easygoing vibe. The breakfast burrito game in Los Angeles is no joke—it's a competitive arena. This one steps up to the plate and holds its place. Their take is semi-indulgent but doesn't cross into the territory of excess. The scrambled eggs are fluffy, the cheddar sauce adds creamy richness, the HiLi hot sauce brings that subtle heat and the labneh adds an element that lightens things up just enough. The li'l chicky sando is thoughtfully crafted, with its tempura-fried chicken breast complemented by the zesty labneh and minty slaw. The pickled red onions are a nice compliment. As for the chicken strips and fries they deliver exactly what you'd expect: juicy chicken served with a trio of dipping sauces: hot honey, minty yogurt dressing, and yuzu aioli. It’s comfort food—ideal when you're in the mood for something straightforward. The selection of salads here is diverse. The kale salad is a fresh and hearty mix with miso lime dressing and frizzled onions, which lend to a forgettable crunch. The fattoushy salad with chicken is a somewhat flavorful composition where chickpeas, dried tart cherries, crispy pita, and pomegranate molasses come together. The aptly named simple side is minimal but done right with fresh greens tossed in a yuzu vinaigrette. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely meal, the ambiance and fresh menu offerings make it a decent choice.

Super good fried chicken sandwich! Good spicy kick even on medium, which pairs so well with the slaw and pickles, all on a soft bun. Food came out fast, perfect for a quick lunch to get through the day.

Easy to eat and not too crowded. I order combo number 1 which is sandwich and Mac Salad as aside $14. I made it medium level for the spicy. (Slap in the face). If you like spice come here. They don’t play. If you don’t like spice, stay away. I got the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich, fries, and the sweet & spicy chicken wings. Sometimes when people say sweet and spicy they mean mostly sweet. Not here! Be prepared that unless they say something has no spice, it’s gonna be hella spicy. BUT the food is delicious if you like spice. The sandwich is fantastic, the bread doesn’t detract from the flavor of the chicken, and the slaw adds a nice neutralizing balance. The wings are also good, very crispy which is what I was looking for. Also, beware that the fries are seasoned with spicy seasoning, so you’ll taste the heat on those too. I would definitely recommend this place - just make sure you have some milk or water if you’re adventurous enough to try the spicy! 🌶

Absolutely great chicken and fries. Mac salad isn't my thing but it was pretty good. Super flavorful crust and super juicy. The only downside was it was a long wait and we were the only ones there. I got the michin spicy and if you're a casual spice person, it'll get you good. If you're really into heat, it's maybe 5/10 tops. My partner got mild and it suited her perfectly.

Had a little issue with the cashier overcharging me on a dozen medium spice chicken wings. I tried to go about nicely but I became a Karen after getting frustrated. But she was really nice about it and refunded me the whole meal. I went back to Michindak after a concert at Immanuel church nearby. I gave her the money back because I felt bad for how I treated her or at least I tried but she kindly refused and instead gave me more money for the drinks I had bought with the meal. I left some of the money back in the tip jar. She said don't worry about it just cone back next time and she'll treat me right. Fantastic customer service. And phenomenal wings. So crispy and flavorful!! Def coming back for more.

I was really impressed with Michindak. The chicken sandwich was superb. If you like spice you’ll love it! I underestimated how hot their hot was. As someone who loves spice, I was pleased. It was definitely hot, but still enjoyable. I didn’t love the macaroni salad but that was more because it didn’t hit the spot for my cravings at the time. More expensive than typical fast food but I think it was worth it.

Shout-out to Allen who is super friendly and helpful! Wow! This place is amazing! It's a little shop on the corner with limited outdoor seating but don't let that discourage you. The flavors are THERE! During my first visit my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach but I couldn't help it.. everything looks so delicious.. the person behind the counter was helpful and friendly and even recommended which sauce to get. I got the tacos as a meal (came with fries) and popcorn chicken with the recommended sweet and spicy sauce. For $20 was pretty reasonable since it was enough for 2 meals. The tacos were a highlight for me. Super flavorful and the balance of flavors was perfection. The popcorn chicken wasn't as crispy as I was hoping but the flavor more than makes up for that. The fries were spiced up with some Cajun but unfortunately fell short to how amazing everything else was. I would probably try one of the alternative sides instead when I go back. Overall I loved this place for lunch and really can't wait to try more of this chicken. I'll be back!

Hoho Chicken is a Korean fried chicken spot in Los Angeles that offers a variety of Korean and American flavors to season your chicken. The crumbly texture and juicy meat make it a must-try for those new to the KFC culture. In addition to delicious chow mein, egg rolls, and boba, the barbecued chicken is fantastic. The service is welcoming and friendly, making it a great dining experience for visitors from out of state.
Small casual restaurant with some seating. Very limited parking nearby. Not fast food - it's cooked to order so there's a wait but it only took about 15 minutes or so. The food was all pretty good, with our favourite being the wings (we got ours with galbi sauce). Everything was very fresh and flavourful - we tried the chicken bento, combo beef and chicken plate, wings, black milk tea with boba, and a couple extra pieces of tempura that they were kind enough to offer us on the house. I think I'd recommend getting wings and some sides over the bento, which were tasty but not as standout. The service was also actually really friendly, which I never expect but am always really happy to see.

Got 20 pieces (Garlic & Spicy Chili) with the Fried chicken dumplings. Reviews and photos look good so wanted to give this place of try. It's small, located in a plaza with parking (or you can park on the street). There's a good amount of seats. Food was cooked well, wings were juicy inside and outside was crunchy. The dumplings were good; creamy inside and crunchy on the outside. But honestly, I was disappointed because both flavors were sweet (I prefer hot wings). I got Garlic & Spicy Chili since they aren't flavors I'd expect to be sweet. If you're into the sweet and spicy for wings then you probably like this place but it's not for me. Note: this was before the bs shutdown

This place was used to be Korean(sweet chili: yangnyum chicken) style fried chicken but recently grand opened and they now have the chicken teriyaki bento box and few selections of sushi rolls. I have tried Korean fried chicken and teriyaki as well as sushi rolls-they are bomb!!!! This is now my goto spot to togo meal or even quick everyday meal. The food tastes fresh😆 they even have boba like coffee flavors, they use fresh real fruit for strawberry banana smoothie, and tea flavors like their match green tea and black milk tea my favorite!! Cannot wait to try others in their menu.

This place was perfect in every aspect. The taste was closest to typical, old school Korean Chicken taste which I never had ever since 2007. I am very picky about taste of oil when the food was fried. This place has by far the best tasted clean cooking oil I have ever had. The chicken was extremely crispy while inside of the breading was moist. I chose three different sauces, Soy Garlic, Lemon Pepper, Spicy...(I don't remember the name but sweet and spicy red sauce). My preference was Spicy Red -> Soy Garlic -> Lemon Pepper I guess my husband was Soy Garlic -> Lemon Pepper -> Spicy Red Pickled radish was little too small to pick with chopsticks, but tasted right. Owner was quiet guy but I liked it especially when the time we live in is like this(pandemic/lock down/social distance) :)

If you're into korean fried chicken, this is the place to go. Amazing breading and the chicken is juicy and really soft. Definitely my go to for Korean fried chicken. Also there is plenty of parking at the lot. Only gripe is the wait times. When I was only one there it was a 20 minute wait so can't imagine what it's like when it's a full house.

I found Fyrebird during the early parts of the pandemic, and it very quickly became part of my regular take out rotation. And while I'm not as local as I used to be, I always try to make a stop or take some chicken home with me whenever I'm in town. In a world full of Canes and Dave's Hot Chicken, Fyrebird (I feel) is leagues better and completely outperforms the chicken chains in every way. The quality and freshness of everything is unmatched. The flavor options and all the possibilities of sauce combinations keeps it interesting every time (that house-made ranch though). The value of what you get for the price (family packs??) feels reasonable. The best part is supporting local, family-owned business -- I've never had an unpleasant or unfriendly interaction with anyone working there, everyone is truly so lovely. I tell people about this place all the time, have brought it for potlucks, and in the process have created a legion of fans... in and out of the South Bay... who all agree this is THE place for chicken. Literally cannot recommend it enough. If you haven't been, go today!

Look, I’m a keep it real with you. I got this through DoorDash, and now I can see why there’s a coupon automatically applied. These wings are TRASH. Lemon pepper trash. Garlic habanero. I couldn’t even taste that flavor trash. Fries mid. If you wanna try some real good wings, it might be a little drive but SHLAP MAUN in Long Beach so all y’all leaving these five star reviews you gotta give that place 100. This place is a disappointment. I damn near want my money back. The wings are soggy. I can literally taste the seasoning that they bought for lemon lemon pepper and that’s not a good thing. I think y’all should just stop selling chicken as a whole. Like make vegan stuff maybe they’ll like y’all seasoning. If someone in my friend group said that they were driving to this place I will take the wheel and crash the car.

worth the trip to gardena from burbank! the food was great and the staff were super friendly and welcoming! :-) ordered to go and got the tenders and sandwich and i want to go back for the wings and flava fries. chicken was battered nicely, very flakey and crunchy, and cooked well. all the sauces are fire too but my fave was their house flava and spicy ranch that was so unique. and they got good ranch too, like the thick ranch!!

The wings were fire! Super filling too. I really enjoyed the food. Will definitely be going back. Customer service was great as well. I don’t understand the people saying there’s no place to sit, there is a whole seating area outside in the back… lol.

Ambiance: Not a big place at all... maybe 3 stools to sit at the counter. 2 benches outside to wait. Though it's small, it's easy to navigate.. you're in and out. Service: Guy taking order was patient, friendly, and helpful. I was able to mix flavors, he helped me decide on my order, and they have the option to text you when your order is ready so you're not just waiting around the already small location. Order took about 30 minutes to get. Food: My tenders were nice and hot, not crispy, but were juicy. The flavors of the sauces were strong. I'll definitely be back to try the other flavors /sauces. Fries were ok, needed more seasoning (the lemon pepper would've been good), and kind of soft, but they weren't terrible. I went on a Friday after work, and the parking was pretty easy.

I live in Gardena but I tried FyreBirds for the first time today April 9th 2024. And I didn't realize they have a little patio in the back of their restaurant. Well from the suggestion from the staff I tried a barbecue slider and their fried pickles I was suggested to try it with a barbecue sauce I try to have the barbecue sauce and I bought an extra sauce which was ranch. The slider was a great size She asked if I wanted everything and it comes with like whatever sauce you pick pickles and ranch and coleslaw on it. For one slider it was 4.50 but it was worth it and the fried pickles it's enough to serve four people I believe unless like you want to eat it all yourself but they give enough pickles that you can share with people and it comes with one dipping sauce and it was 5.50. I think that if you haven't tried this place it's on the corner of Crenshaw and Manhattan Beach boulevard in a little plaza tucked away in the corner but it's a great spot especially the patio I believe that you can ask them if you can have maybe a party in the back. Good job you guys It's a great place. Everything tasted fabulous. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great food and great service! When I go back I would tell them no salt or seasoning on the fries and no salt or seasoning on the fried pickles. The hot honey tenders were amazing, i had them fried regular. Overall I would return.

Lucky Bird at Grand Central Market is a must-visit for fried chicken enthusiasts. Their weekend breakfast burrito is a standout, featuring brined, boneless fried chicken mixed with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sautéed onions and peppers in schmaltz. The addition of American cheese creates a gooey, golden halo around the ingredients. The counter seating allows you to enjoy your meal comfortably without the hassle of finding a table elsewhere in GCM.
Lucky Bird has a small menu and they don't make much, but what they do make they take a ton of pride in. Their chicken tenders are massive with a savory, crispy outside and a flakey inside. Their mac & cheese is better than your mom makes, and their version of Frank's Red Hot rivals the original.

Great flavor and crispness on the chicken. Unique flavor that will make me think of this place if I tasted it again. Good option in this market. $22 for a 5piece bucket is a bit higher than fast food spots but this tastes elevated and worth it. The cornbread is thick and tasty. After a few bites the saltiness was much for me. I don’t eat cheese but I had to taste it. I’d come back and recommend. Reheated it in the air fryer and it was indeed delicious with just a little spice like I like it.

YUM! some of the best damn chicken in town. Love the ambience of Grand Central market. Lucky Bird is a unique gem amongst the multiple pizza and Asian food stalls in the hall. Staff is nice. counter is always clean. Chef personally served us our beer. The chicken is juicy with crunchy skin. coleslaw is very tasty too. And the potatoes are crisp and delicious and salty. Careful though, they’re very thermal when they come out of the kitchen and will burn your tongue! Pricing is a bit high for a couple pieces of chicken, but it’s comparable to the other food stalls in the hall and sometimes you just gotta spend a little more to get a little more. Will be back again soon. Thanks!

This place deserves THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH in LA. What I love about this place is that it’s not your typical Nashville hot fried chicken joint. Their sandwich is unmatched. I considered this to be on the same level as an In-N-Out burger in which their chicken sandwich just fits perfectly together. Down to the bun, with the super juicy, crispy chicken breast, fresh butter lettuce, the smoked paprika aioli, and don’t forget their perfectly homemade hot sauce. I prefer their sandwich over the tenders, and that’s saying a lot. This is a must at GCM.

The fried chicken was well seasoned and it had a nice crispy breading, not crunchy, that was really delicious. The potatoes were well seasoned too and everything tasted fresh.

New Year’s Eve this place was still open around 8pm and so glad I picked this spot for a quick dinner. I ordered the three piece tenders, waffles and a Diet Coke. The chicken quality is really good, cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy with the good amount of seasoning(overall a good tender). I recommend using their dipping sauces to accompany it, I got the ranch and habanero honey. Now the waffles were probably my favorite part and with the syrup it was solid! I highly recommend trying their waffles even over their chicken. I’d definitely come back again and try more their menu items. Parking is limited but there is plenty la seating inside.

I am so picky when it comes to fried chicken and I have to say that this is the best I’ve had! Their chicken strips are served hot and fresh, not fatty, perfect amount of coating, not oily or greasy and has so much flavor. I highly recommend their paprika aioli and their salsa verde dipping sauce. Also, the young lady at the cash registry was so sweet and kind. She offered us cold water since it was hot while we were waiting for our food. Amazing food, service and atmosphere!

Chimmelier is a trendy Korean fried chicken spot located in a bustling West 8th Street strip mall. The highlight of their menu is the delectable Korean-inflected fried chicken sandwich, featuring a crispy chicken breast topped with spicy pickled red cabbage slaw, dashi mayo, perilla leaf, and lacto-fermented pickles. The restaurant's cool decor and beautiful artwork create an inviting atmosphere for diners.
They know what they’re doing. Great chicken. Seasoned to perfection. The packaging is really well put together!! Well thought out marketing here and the chicken lives up to it. The rice is delicious and spicy! I’d recommend.

The Best Korean Chicken of my life. When I first came to K-town, my friend recommended I try Chimmelier's chicken. The chicken tenders are so tasty and juicy. Moreover, they are huge, which I had never seen when I was in Taiwan. The flavor is slightly sweet, I recommend going with an unsweetened beverage.

So I lied. See below. Ive been back several times and I order online as well. My most favorite Korean BBQ resturant ever! Tasty. The wings are huge, tender, and juicy. Old post - I ordered this from Uber Eats 2 days ago. Yesterday, I had to go get my own food because I needed to know who made those chicken wings because they were so good. So I drove the 20 minutes and when I got there, I wish I had never gone there. You stand in front of the door to order your food on a screen you never see. I never saw an employee until they called my number. I won't go there again, but I plan to order Chimmelier A LOT. Those BBQ wings are PERFECT! The seasoned fries are amazing. I hate spicy food, but those wings are addicting. I will have photos next time.

Tried this place for the first time with my friends and we ordered for takeout but decided to just eat there since we arrived early for pickup and got hungry. This is a super low key small restaurant that has some high bench tabletop and then 2 tables with 4 seats each. The funny thing is that you’re sitting on top of this makeshift seats which are made out of Home Depot gallons with cushions place on top. Be aware! You can get your finger caught accidentally if you’re trying to lift and seat at the same time!! The staff is pleasant and will bring out your food as it becomes ready. You basically grab your own water from the water station and they give you cups as well as utensils. If you order on the spot online, there is a large order screen. FOOD: - we ordered the garlic soy fried chicken wings and the dry rub chicken tenders - both were tasty - the corn cheese was way more cheesy than expected — need more corn - it’s also very salty - shrimp toast was good - better if you use the sauce to dip - ttkeokbokki - very chewy - way chewier than I’d like - but not spicy and otherwise tasty - but a small portion only Because fried chicken can be super greasy I did wish they had a wash station for your hands. Unfortunately they do not. PARKING: is difficult if you come during busy hours as they have a lot of people coming in and out or waiting for takeout orders and delivery orders. Their FREE lot is oddly designed with tandem parking spaces on one side and only 4-5 regular spaces —but also street parking is quite difficult around that area too. So be patient.

I had such a great experience dining at Chimmelier… the staff was so incredibly friendly and the food was out of this world! We came for a quick dinner on Saturday night and found parking easily in their shared lot. We ordered a few different menu items and ended up getting fries and wings given to us due to a cancelled takeout order. The staff could have taken the food for themselves but they gave it to us and it was really nice. Our food was really good, it came out really fast, and I couldn’t ask for a better experience.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SPOT! I stopped by here recently and was so happy I did. First off, it's LA, so yes there's parking. They have a pretty big parking lot that they share with other businesses. The decor of this place is very cool. The artwork everywhere is beautiful. Absolute job well done to the artists. Now for the food. I am a sucker for fried chicken and this place did not disappoint. It was crunchy, juicy, flavorful, everything you need it to be. The shrimp toast was so good! I am still thinking about it. Huge shout out to Edwin for really guiding us through the menu. I am already planning my next visit with my friends. ***Make sure you can handle spicy before you get spicy***

Restaurant
Go Go Bird is a counter-serve eatery located in Culver City's Citizen Public Market, offering a delectable selection of Asian-inspired chicken tenders, wings, and sandwiches. The gourmet fried chicken sandwich features a deep-brown crust reminiscent of L.A.'s classic Pioneer Chicken, paired with a Japanese-leaning marinade incorporating white soy, kombu, shiitake, and bonito flakes.
Solid place for fried chicken tenders and sandwiches. All the chicken is deep fried, almost like a beer batter and super juicy. Homemade Japanese ranch was excellent. This is inside of a retail space with several other eateries. We parked in the underground parking near Erewhon. Similar to the Packing District in Anaheim but smaller scale.

Absolutely love this place! I come to Go Go Bird almost every Friday, and it never disappoints. The food is always super delicious, and the team is amazing—friendly, welcoming, and consistently delivering great service. The owner greets us with a smile every week, making the experience even more special. It’s rare to find a spot that combines incredible flavors, great hospitality, and a warm atmosphere so effortlessly. We just love it! Highly recommend to anyone looking for fantastic fried chicken and a great dining experience!

Our friends recommended we try Go Go Bird, and we’re so glad they did! Located inside Citizen Public Market, there’s plenty of seating both indoors and out, which made for a relaxed and casual dining experience. My husband and I each ordered the tenders and upgraded one of the fries to the Szechuan fries. You can also request the tenders “spicy”, which added dry rub with chilis and other spices—we gave it a shot, but the extra heat wasn’t super noticeable. Everything is made to order, so our food came out hot and fresh. We were shocked by how huge the tenders were—definitely more filling than expected! The house pickles were a great touch, cutting through the richness of the chicken and fries with tangy balance. We couldn’t even finish our meal, and were perfectly happy to have delicious tenders for a second meal.
Sophie T — Google review
I’d say the food was slightly better than good. The chicken was moist and the batter had a good crunch but really lacking flavor. The fries were hefty and had a good crunch but also lacking flavor… Not much in the realm of service, it’s in a food hall and fast food style, you get the food and find your own seat. This is relevant for the atmosphere as well, not much of an atmosphere to talk about. Parking was across the street in a structure, were ate and walked around and it only cost $1
Sarkis M — Google review
Of all the many fried chicken joints across LA at the moment, this is my favorite. The strips are wonderfully crispy and flavorful, reminiscent of a modern take on the old classic pioneer style fried chicken, the dipping sauces are unique and tasty, particularly the Japanese ranch. And importantly, the French fries are hand cut and double fried. This is an example of a place that serves up a small menu and does it extremely well. Highly recommended!
Joe L — Google review
Ordered the Chicken Wings, Szechuan Seasoned Hand-Cut Fries, and Furikake Hand-Cut Fries. The Chicken wings and tenders are cooked similarly, delicious when hot and ready, very well seasoned. You can choose spicy or not spicy. The spicy is the way to go for some kick to the chicken. The pickles are a very light pickled cup of cucumbers, they're not as dilled as you might expect. The Japanese cheddar biscuit was a surprise, a tad sweet and somewhat unexpected, not a traditional plain biscuit. The Szechuan fries are not as hot as they seem, they feel quite tamed on the spice level. The Furikake fries are an easier choice to recommend if you like some of the nori flavor and saltiness taste to them. Both are delicious and great for sharing. Location is part of an open market space concept so it shares space with several different vendors offering unique tastes. This location does get busy so finding a place onsite to eat your food can become difficult. Parking is available at nearby public parking garage structures.

I don’t often write reviews but this place deserves some recognition! I was craving some fried chicken and was in the area so I decided to try this place out! As you there’s many fried chicken places within 5 mins of each other. I go their chicken tenders with fries and they were juicy, fresh, flavorful (not over powering) and made with quality. I also got the Japanese which tasted amazing! I am glad I tried this place out, and I will be back !

Plan Check Kitchen + Bar is a popular New American restaurant with an industrial ambiance, offering innovative comfort food, craft beers, and cocktails. With multiple locations across Los Angeles, including West LA and Santa Monica, this establishment has gained recognition for its elevated take on traditional dishes.
Yelped this place for “good burgers” years ago. Love the decor, inside or patio (kinda avoid patio given heat and plastic covering lately, maybe when winter comes)… staff’s friendly. Some very helpful and go the extra mile. Used to get the Blueprint (blue cheese, bacon), but now go-to is double cheeseburger (w/o spread for me… their answer to In-N-Out double double). I even eat their ketchup with the fries, and I’m not a fan of ketchup; gf said it’s a bit sweet. But I’ve had their kale salad, chili cheese fries, onion rings, special burgers like pineapple bbq burger (great!), fried chicken sandwiches, used to get Buffalo Cauliflower a lot (only place I’ve had it… usually I’m full after burger tho), sliders, and their drinks are great. Even had the cruller donuts once heh. Never disappointed.

This had been my first time visiting Plan Check Kitchen in a few years. I noticed a lot had changed. We visited for a Saturday brunch. Surprisingly, there had only been about five people in the restaurant , with us being the only ones dining outdoors. It did start to pick up as we were leaving. Food and Beverage: Plan Check offers an unlimited Mimosa brunch. If you plan on having more than one Mimosa during your visit, I would suggest going with this option. It’ll be much more cost efficient. In my opinion, the food wasn’t as tasty as my past experiences. We started off with the buffalo cauliflower. This is a great vegan option. It’ll taste even better with ranch or blue cheese dressing. Although the waffles were appetizing, they weren’t soft. However, for some, that might be a good thing. The chicken was much better. The French toast was the least tasteful. It was bland and the bananas that they were topped with had no flavor. Billing: Like most restaurants, Plan Check uses the handheld device to take payment. Overall, this is still a good eatery. I preferred the location on Wilshire that closed years ago, but this one isn’t too far behind in regard to service and indoor ambience. This is a place that you can visit while casually catching up with friends or a quick bite with coworkers.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening around 6pm and was able to get a table for 3 almost immediately. Street parking nearby wasn’t too hard to find, and the meters are free on Sundays. We shared the Bavarian pretzels to start, which come with queso dip and mustard spread. The pretzels were excellent - beautifully browned and crisp on the exterior, while wonderfully soft and chewy on the inside. The queso dip was alright - nothing too special - but the mustard spread was delightful. I got the Machismo burger with sweet potato waffle fries (free upgrade from regular fries at the time since they were out of regular fries). This was one of the better burgers I’ve had in quite some time. The beef patty was juicy and had a good thickness to it, and I loved the crispy texture added by the fried onions. The bite of the jalapeños, chewiness of the bacon, and meltiness of the cheese all worked together really well to round out all the textures and flavors. The “crunch” bun was really fascinating - I’d never had anything like it, and I thought it was the perfect vessel for the burger. I also really enjoyed the sweet potato waffle fries - light and crispy outside with a soft and tender interior. The house-made ketchup was delicious with them, much more tomato-forward than your standard ketchup. While the food is a bit on the pricey side, I think it was well worth it, and I’d definitely come again to try out some other dishes!

They are a good restaurant with a kick of flavour in their dishes :) We liked their simple food, but the kicks of flavor may not be for everyone! Some of the dish we have is deff. a star (try their chef's favourite burger)! We tried 3 of their menus, all of them were so flavourful. I wish they have room to balance it (the mashed potatoes was awesomely good). Anyways, the place is great for casual dining and a good conversation with friends! Cute neighborhood spot with outdoor covered patio, dog-friendly. They have cocktails and tea and finger foods, we usually bring our computers and work here with our dog occasionally. People are very nice, vegetarian items are limited. Outdoor patio is heated. This is right down the street from some pretty amazing Asian restaurant and bakeries. We usually park right in front of this restaurant. Some parts of this area seem slightly run down so I prefer visiting in the afternoon and not night.

Harold’s Chicken & Bar is a Chicago-based fast food chain known for its traditional fried chicken and sides. Located in Hollywood, the restaurant offers a taste of Chicago in Los Angeles. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The delicious meals and excellent service make it a great place to dine with friends or family. Customers highly recommend visiting this spot for good food, drinks, and a welcoming ambiance.
The food here is DELICIOUS. It’s worth every penny considering it’s a nice restaurant in the center of Hollywood Blvd! They got security in the front, a live DJ, great drink options. The food is very seasoned and they always make it extra crispy when we ask. The mild sauce is too good. I loooove their baked Mac & Cheese! Great spot and great energy!

Was looking for a new brunch spot & a friend suggested this spot. The environment is nice & had good music. Customer service was a 2 outta 10! No one greets you as you walk in & the young lady didn’t even engage with us. Brought out our food & didn’t even bring condiments we had to ask someone else. The other young lady had a small dog in a bag under the register she kept attending to & then going back to wait her table without washing her hands. The waffles were the best thing…. Fried wings were salty. They had the nerve to do an AUTO GRATUITY for a party of TWO! Then still ask u to select the button to leave another tip.
Saleemah F — Google review
The menú was lacking salad and the waffles was hard. I sent it back, then the next 1 that came out wasn't good neither. They chicken wings were over cooked. Then, I was charged auto gratuity even after I specifically selected no tip. I questioned the waiter about the amount of the food versus the amount I was charge. He neglected to share about the incorporated auto gratuity, so I ask for a copy of the receipt. I was leaving a cash tip for the waiter, but when I asked for my receipt because I paid on his little gadget, I noticed he had already taken his tip in the bill. Not sure if he did it or if its company practice. Either way its illegal. It was only 2 people so I'm not sure why this was done. So I took my cash tip back. Then I did some research on auto gratuity and it turns out its illegal according to Senate Bill 478 effective July 1, 2024. I also checked the reviews and notice someone else posted the same auto gratuity on a 2 people meal ticket. So this illegal activity is a habit. Now my question is how often does this happen and how many people catch it? Or do most people pay a tip 2 times like what almost happen to me.

Originally from Chicago, and when I say that this place is a disgrace; First off if I pre-order my food, it should be ready by time I get there there should be no reason why I’m waiting 35 minutes extra while other people are getting their food before me. I literally got one piece of chicken and some fries because I’ll be damned if I spent $13 on a four piece chicken meal In Chicago this would’ve never flew , For sure. Definitely not worth the wait and especially not at night on Hollywood Boulevard If you want the real deal just go to Chicago it’s way better.
Shaka A — Google review
As a Chicago native, I was excited (and a little skeptical) to try Harold’s in Hollywood—and I’m happy to say it did not disappoint. The food is just like back home: crispy, flavorful chicken with that signature mild sauce that instantly hits the nostalgia button. It’s the real deal. The menu is a bit on the pricey side compared to what you’d pay in the Chi, and the service could be a touch more attentive, but those are small things in the grand scheme. What really makes this place special is the energy. It’s a cultural gem—a spot where the vibes are always right. Great drinks, solid music, and a crowd that knows how to have a good time. Whether you’re repping the South Side or just discovering Harold’s for the first time, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

I was excited to try this place. The atmosphere has a cool vibe, drinks were strong, the chicken was delicious, and the sides were horrible. My fries were hard and cold. My greens were even colder and SWEET (they forgot to warm my greens as my sisters were warm, but still sweet). My sister was unsatisfied with the yams as well. This place is over priced for sub par soul food. $152.69 for two people is ridiculous. I came, I tried, and got conquered.

Back story: I've wanted to dine at this place for months. We decided to try the Culver City location instead of trekking to Hollywood. Sadly, the place was CLOSED AT 4 PM ON SUNDAY!!! My friend and I decided to try the Hollywood location. We arrived at 6 pm on Saturday. The other 2 customers left, so it was just us. I ordered one of the specialty drinks "The Obama". The bartender told me they were missing a key ingredient and offered to modify it. I opted for "The Bulls" drink. It was mediocre at best. We proceeded to order dinner. I ordered liver, mac and cheese, and yams. They were out of mac and cheese. The bartender asked the cook the eta for the mac, and the cook just shrugged. We ordered chicken, potato salad, greens, yams, and potato salad. The potato salad was decent but served in a small cup usually reserved for sauces (see picture). The liver and chicken were fresh and hot. The greens were tough and had a weird smoky taste. The yams were just bad. They have an awesome social media presence. Maybe we went on the wrong day, at the wrong time? Sadly, Harold has disappointed me twice.

Decided to do a takeout order instead of ordering delivery. Walked down and placed my order everything was fine the woman that took my order repeated it back to me so I know that I ordered a banana pudding yet when I came back to pickup my order there I didn't get one. When I came to pickup my order the guy was holding two bags and one of them could have been my dessert (packaged separately so it doesn't get hot from the other food which is actually pretty smart) but he looked confused and only gave me one bag. If the other one was mine they made no effort to let me know before I left or since they take your phone number they could have called but none of that happened. He also almost forgot my drink and when I reminded him he still couldn't see the drink right in front of him. My drink was watery since it was made ahead of pickup time which would have been fine if it was just made early and given to me before I left. As for the food the fried pickles were OK the breading was even and the pieces were mostly uniform. I do think that the serving could be larger but overall not bad. I don't think these are made in house. The chicken tenders are very large which while good for value compared to serving size seem to cause problems with even breading. 2 out of my 6 tenders had patchy breading with bare spots and hard, overdone spots as well. The breading it's self tasted mostly of salt and pepper with few other seasonings. I'm not saying it was particularly bland, just that the salt and the pepper is mostly what you tasted. As for the cut/cook/quality of the meat everything was cooked through without being over cooked. The chicken retained alot of moisture. Some of the way the tenders were cut and or trimmed led to some bites that weren't completely off putting just slightly undesirable although I do see this as showing that the chicken is really prepared in house which is a plus. The fries that came with the tenders unremarkable just basic thick cut fries. Could use salt though. Strongly believed to not be made in house. Unfortunately I would be writing about the desert here but again it was not recieved. As for sides/sauces/drinks I ordered 2 extra ranches expecting the food that I ordered to already come with dips or sauces but they did not. As for the ranch cups that I did receive they seem to be standard 3oz cups however they were half full. On their menu they have them at $2.00 a piece but after reviewing my receipt I was nt charged for them. My strawberry lemonade was again watery and tasted like countrytime drink mix. Will be revisiting again for dine in experience and will post that review as well.

Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles - (Manchester & Main) is a popular local soul food chain known for its signature chicken and waffles, as well as a variety of Southern sides. Established in 1975 by Herb Hudson, this quick-eat restaurant has become a favorite among celebrities and is widely recognized in pop culture. The casual space offers a clean and well-organized environment, with attentive staff providing quick service.
Absolutely loved the chicken and waffles! The chicken was fresh and moist. I also ordered the lemonade iced tea and that was so refreshing. Hot sauces were perfect too, they had flavor and enough heat. My favorite sauces from left to right as seen in picture. Spent about $20 each person not bad because although it doesn’t look it, food was very filling.

Roscoe’s on Manchester did not disappoint! I had the fried chicken with greens, mac n cheese, and cornbread—everything was seasoned just right and full of flavor. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, and the sides tasted homemade, especially the greens. My friend had the chicken and waffles and loved the sweet and savory combo. The service was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Definitely a solid spot for comfort food when you’re in LA.
Marcus S — Google review
The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor, and the waffles were cooked perfectly. Combined, they made an unforgettable meal. Honestly, this is the best chicken and waffles I have ever tasted!
Kevin M — Google review
Food was phenomenal, I got the omelette filled with chicken and it was awesome! The waffles were top notch and tastes amazing, the chili was also very good as well as the chicken perfectly crispy and juicy, even the hot sauces they had were bomb! First time coming here and it won’t be my last. Service was great and the atmosphere was super chill with old school music playing in the background, highly recommended 👍
Anthony G — Google review
The chicken came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! My husband couldn’t stop raving about the waffles—he said they were some of the best he’s ever had. The service was excellent, and the vibe was on point with great music. We came all the way from Houston to California to see what the hype was about, and let me tell you… the hype is real!

First of all the service was good. The ladies working there are very nice. I’m only unhappy with the value of my meal. I spent $70 on two entres and two drinks. I was shook. My partner and I make above average salary and this was too much for us. The chicken and waffles are good but not life changing. Mac and cheese very bad. I’m glad I tried it but there’s no reason to go back for those prices. I really wish the best for this family owned business. Tip your servers!

Delicious fried chicken, waffles and sweet syrup. I'm picky about fried chicken, but this was great. Their French fries are excellent, lightly crispy, still soft inside. And I feel safe in the restaurant with 20+ security cameras and a guard near the entrance.
Michael L — Google review
The food is good it's just not as good as I remember growing up in LA. However, I got the Oscar with 3 wings. The sunset drink and it's non alcoholic. The yams were amazing. The syrup was really hot which melted the butter onto the waffles. I could eat the waffles all day. The chicken was alright to me. It was my kids first time here and they enjoyed it as well. I didn't eat any of the sauces but these are the options

Louisiana Fried Chicken is a compact counter-serve restaurant that specializes in delicious fried chicken and seafood. The franchise, based in Los Angeles, may not be as widely known as some of its competitors, but it offers incredibly tasty fast food options. The famous red pepper spice blend gives the chicken a subtly fiery flavor, and the overall affordability makes it a popular choice.
Food was fresh and hot tasted great. Location is sketchy lol and no seating. The food came out fast. Good customer service

They serve old food like all the other Louisiana chicken spots, Fries a day old. I came here because of the reviews and left with a stomach ache. Asian run businesses suck in Los Angeles these days. Always taking advantage of other people. It’s no wonder. Shame. Stop! Giving these people $

Last couple times ordering from here via my Uber eats my food has been rushed resulting with my chicken being pink and undercooked , i am not pleased ! Also I asked for extra seasoning and seems like they just sprinkle the season on top of the chicken. Food use to be good. I dont know what happened

I got 2 pieces of fish 3 tenders and fries for $15. The portions are a good size. I was hungry and was full off the fish, fries and 1 of the 3 tenders. Fries were very good. Fish was spicy but on point. Tenders as well. It looks a little shady on the inside, but the food was on point. Better than fast food easily. Price is good value for 2025.

Ok this USED TO BE THE BEST one in all of Cali but what happened?!! They trick u with fresh French fries so u drive off thinking ur good to go and then you get home and bite into the chicken and there’s no authentic Louisiana famous fried chicken flavor anymore. Reheated OLD chicken!! They are either mixing in more plain flour with their seasoned flour or they have changed the recipe but I won’t be back. I’m gonna try one more time at another one closer to my house and if the flavor is still not there, I’m done with my favorite of all time fried chicken SMH SMH SMH SMH

On April 6 did not receive my jalapeño peppers and my side of dirty rice. Try calling in several times today is now April 16 no answer no voicemail to leave a voicemail. This is the second time this has happened to me and I just ordered again today praying that I’ll get my whole order. This is really ridiculous. You guys are usually good on my order but for the last month and a half my order has been incomplete and no way of calling and getting up there.

Halal restaurant
Dave's Hot Chicken started as a street station and has now become a counter service restaurant in LA, serving Nashville-style hot chicken. The menu includes mouth-watering options like spicy halal chicken burgers, tenders, sliders, sandwiches, and milkshakes. The location offers plenty of free parking and indoor seating with outstanding high ceilings and spray paint murals. Customers can also enjoy outdoor seating while the staff provides friendly service.
I was excited to see Dave’s Hot Chicken finally open in the South Bay; it’s the perfect spot! There’s plenty of parking and both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the fries and tenders, which were perfectly crispy with just the right level of heat. Since I’m not a fan of super spicy food, I appreciated that they offer a hot-but-not-too-spicy option. The tenders were huge and satisfying, and the dipping sauce made them even more delicious. The crinkle-cut fries are one of my favorites, and of course, no hot chicken meal is complete without white bread and pickles! The indoor seating can get a bit crowded, so I’m glad there’s an outdoor area as well.

I highly recommend this location. It was very busy when I walked in. The team seemed very calm and composed. The food was hot and the staff members were very friendly and helpful to every customer in line and ordering. I decided to dine in and noticed that all of the front of house staff members stayed consistently on top of making sure that the tables were clean . I highly recommend them The manager on duty was also very nice Good job team everyone of you guys deserves a raise. Keep up the good work Five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I typically tip for good service and this was one of those time! Food was VERY good! We decided to give this place a try when seeing it on our way to Chic-Fil-a were very happy to have tried it! We will come back! Emploees like Eric who strive to make customers satisfied is what gets people like us coming back! Exceptional Service!!

Dave makes a great product their chicken is juicy delicious and whatever level of spice you can handle. And the cheese you get .... You have to ask for it. It goes amazing with the chicken. The double chicken tender meal is the best. A great place. Like it a lot. Can't wait to go back to that location.

It’s just sad when you see your favorite restaurant like that. I’m grateful that it wasn’t my first location otherwise they would not have earned my business. Starting with the pile of trash at the entrance which is definitely disgusting, unhealthy and unwelcoming to customers. From the moment I entered to the moment I left, no one bothered to take care of it . Not to mention the size of the chicken tenders which absolutely does not match what they charge for. I know they don’t come the exact size but at least make for the difference or change it . When I went to address it with the cashier, she called the manager who was very rude and disrespectful. He was telling me that’s what I’m going to get and I’m wrong . I haven’t seen customer service that bad in any of the locations I have been to and I doubt he has any training how treat customers . This location needs a really intensive cleaning and inspection, otherwise they are better off just shutting it down.

as my first time at Dave’s hot chicken I can say it was tasty, I ordered Medion spicy which wasn’t spicy at all, just a nice red crust around the 2 sliders. Pickels and sauce / honey been good with the fries and sliders. staff was very helping and friendly

Love ordering from Dave's through Uber Eats. The Regular Top Loaded Fries are so delicious. Love the Dave's bites, cheese sauce, kale slaw, and pickles over the fries! The food is always delivered in a timely manner, and the food is always pipping hot. That's my dish when I'm in the mood for some chicken loaded fries. I also enjoy eating other food on the menu. I'm not a spicy person, so thank you for the option of mild sauce. I'm going to have to come in one day and have a meal in the establishment.

Very busy spot in sketchy area. Traffic can be very stop and go on surface streets. I ordered the 20 piece wings with lemon/pepper and ranch and a side of fried zucchini. They forgot to season the ranch wings and just gave me plain chicken. I called them and now have to go back to area to pick them up. I wanna try other items on menu. Food was delicious.

All kinds of different Fried chicken...from Soy Garlic to Honey Butter! I had the regular Fried Chicken and the batter was perfectly crisp, southern style. The spicy curry rice and greens were the sides I chose and both were on point. I have plans to go back to try all the other things that look amazing on the menu - Shrimp Garlic Noodles (yes, Garlic Noodles at a Fried Chicken joint), cajun shrimp, fried chicken skin sandwich and cornbread (out of stock when I was there) all sound fantastic.

Every foodie in LA should take a ride and try the amazing chicken that this establishment has to offer. I was able to try their newest sandwich with fried chicken skin and chicken salad with the Charlie sauce. The sandwich was crispy, cream and also has a sweet and spicy kick from the sauce. I admit that I really like these sandwiches a lot and I think they are better than the big chains. My second favorite item on the menu were the garlic noodles. They were really garlicky which no really enjoyed. The chicken tacos were crispy and creamy and reminded me of a way better version of the Jack n the box tacos. The chicken was also good. The banana pudding is outstanding and from a local bakery. The peach cobbler is official and made in house. Check this place out if you’re looking for some unique chicken.

All the food is really Chef's kiss... the downside is you drive all the way over there, and they're often out of a lot of things... But The Tacos are 🔥 The Garlic noodles are good by themselves, but if you add the shrimp,... 🔥 I think it's garlic soy chicken or something like that but it's deliciously fried with this sauce put on it, and it is very good . If you don't call it in, be prepared to wait because they make it all fresh and it's going to take about 20 mins at least... They do give you a little buzzer so you can go sit in your car... Traffic over there is dicey so it may be a challenge to get in & out of there, but worth it...

I've lived 2 blocks from this place and was hesitant to ever try it because I don't really ever see it busy or getting much business. But today decided to finally try it out. I am pleasantly surprised. I ordered the 2 piece regular chicken meal with macaroni salad for the side. The chicken was crunchy, crispy and well seasoned, tasting very good. I also ordered a side of 6 pieces of the sweet Cajon corn. Delicious! They had quite a variation of menu items to choose from. The service was great. They give you a buzzer for when your order is ready as the inside is not really big enough to hang in there to wait, if other customers should come. Then you sit in your car or hang outside until your buzzer buzzes and I waited no more than about 5 minutes and my order was ready! Will definitely return and very much recommend.

Crawfords is a casual neighborhood bar located on Beverly Blvd, known for its laid-back atmosphere and nostalgic charm. The bar offers pool tables and serves a variety of beers, wines, and fried chicken dinners. Bridget Bower, an experienced bartender with a global background, considers Crawfords as her top pick in Los Angeles. The exterior of the bar proudly advertises 'Fried chicken and Cold beer,' setting the tone for what patrons can expect inside.
Great casual neighborhood bar dishing out the most amazing fried chicken. Cold beer, good drinks, excellent bartender, fun place. Accessible, plus a couple of outdoor tables for people and their pets.

Great atmosphere and high energy local dive bar. Good selection of draft and canned beer. The fried chicken was mediocre and crispy, but not the best I’ve ever had… I’ve been eating fried chicken since the womb and definitely think the vibe over powers any of the food options, but definitely worth visiting to say you have been to Crawfords. The $9 sweet potato fries are not edible. I had the bartender request to remake the order as I could not bite into the fry, and unfortunately the second batch was just as bad. Security guy out front was nice and helpful and I enjoyed the “local feels.”

I drove past this place a million times thinking, how could such a featureless nondescript cube last here for so long?? Finally decided to go one day and dang!!! Blew me away. Inside is deceptively cozy, there's a pool table and plenty of millennial music. Good cheap beer on tap, fun cans (pickle beer 🤤) and!!! Splendid fried chicken. The spicy is a good, manageable level of a pleasant burn, not ruin-your-day level like Dave's. Tasty, tasty pie. I'm almost reluctant to endorse this place because it's such a hidden gem and I like it that way. Anyway this place rules.

We love this spot for its food, drinks and vibes. The spicy fried chicken and potato salad both HITTT. Finding parking can be tricky but it’s 100% worth it!

Stopped in to try their fried chicken. Their online ordering wasn't accepting orders, so I went in and ordered at the counter. It's a small bar, about 10 tables or so h some high tops and others are booths and tables. About 10 more seats at the bar. Ordering was quick and easy at the bar, albeit the loud music which required a louder voice. Took our fried chicken to go, one spicy and the other not. I'd give the nod to the spicy chicken. Both were tender inside, crispy skin and just overall some great fried chicken. The spicy wasn't a burn your face off spicy, but it surely has a lot more flavor than the original. The mac n cheese was a green Chile variety and was tasty.. even better was the bacon BBQ beans. Those were awesome. Overall, a good experience and great food!

Located discreetly on Beverly Blvd, Crawfords is a cozy neighborhood bar that promises a delightful experience for fried chicken enthusiasts. Stepping into Crawfords, you’re welcomed by its unassuming yet inviting atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy a laid-back evening. The star of the show at Crawfords is undoubtedly their fried chicken. Whether you opt for the regular or spicy variant, you’re in for a treat. We chose the spicy option and paired it with their delectable mac & cheese, featuring a hint of jalapeño for an extra kick. While some may find the spicy chicken lacking in heat, fear not – there’s an array of sauces available to dial up the spice to your liking. The fried chicken itself is a masterpiece – perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and succulent on the inside. We indulged in a basket of two wings and a breast, and each bite was pure bliss. The ambiance at Crawfords is delightfully low-key and casual, making it the ideal spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a relaxed evening alone. With a pool table, and ample seating options, there’s something for everyone here. We were particularly impressed by the friendly service provided by the bartender, who was knowledgeable about the menu and eager to ensure we had a great experience. The beer selection, featuring a mix of canned and draft beers, perfectly complemented our meal. It’s worth noting that Crawfords also caters to those on the go, with a steady stream of people popping in for takeout orders. The only downside? Parking can be a bit tricky, with limited spaces available onsite. However, don’t let that deter you from experiencing the culinary delights that Crawfords has to offer. Overall, Crawfords on Beverly Blvd is a hidden gem for fried chicken aficionados, offering delicious food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more.

We have been coming here for the past 6 years. Nothing has changed except the quality of the food. It’s made well but there’s nothing special to justify the pricing. Waitresses/host are always changing and some are miserable and others not attentive. For example , our last visit, we weren’t brought courtesy water. We had to ask twice aside from the drinks we ordered. The service is very slow. The place mainly stays empty, at most 3 clients at a time yet be very late with serving orders, I think they have 1 person cooking and doing the dishes alone to justify the slowness. Either way, we won’t be going back in a long while.

I really was so eager to try this place, as I work in the area. Stopped in to enjoy a nice dinner. The waitress was VERY inattentive and uninterested. I asked for a specific item on the menu and was told that it's not available. Not even another recommendation was offered. Very strange behavior from her. I just got up and left. The place was a ghost town, as I was the only one there. Maybe she was having a bad day? Do yourself a HUGE favor and go upstairs to the Thai spot. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Excellent food and service there.

I liked it. Good spot for KFC (Korean fried chicken). Inside is simple. Just a few tables. There's a small patio area. Seems more popular as a takeout option. The chicken was delicious. Great flavors. I also liked their kimchi fried rice. They also serve beer and soju. Service was ok. There's street meter parking or a small lot under the shopping center.

I ordered the original fried chicken wings (후라이드) and the honey lemon wings. I like the original fried flavor. It has a strong egg yolk taste which I love! And most importantly, it is not overly salty. I did not have to drink lots of water after eating them like the ones from some other fried chicken places. The honey lemon flavor tastes very interesting. It’s a taste that I’ve never had elsewhere. Lemon makes it really refreshing. It is not greasy (느끼해) at all, but at the same time, it doesn’t really satisfy my craving for oily fried chicken Lol. It also tastes more like roasted than fried. So if you are looking for a “healthier” fried chicken, this is for you.
Fiona D — Google review
They’re pretty busy in the evenings but most of their orders are takeaway, but we didn’t have trouble finding a seat. The ttukbokki portion was kind of small to be honest for the price, but it tasted pretty good, nothing special. As for the chicken, I recommend getting the whole chicken if you have a big enough party, it tastes really great with a variety of meat, just be careful with the bones. One thing is they forgot to give us the radish but it wasn’t a big deal. The chicken was crispy outside and really juicy and soft inside, the Korean spice chicken was really unique and not a traditional Korean flavor, I tasted some cinnamon! Wasn’t bad at all. My personal favorite was the garlic chicken.

Customers rave about the flavorful options such as honey butter, soy garlic, Korean glaze, and more. The family-run business has garnered praise for its friendly service and generous portions of free food. Despite limited indoor space, the restaurant accommodates larger groups with outdoor seating available.
A foodie friend had introduced me to this place and I had passed by this place a few times and I have been meaning to try this place and I am so glad I did. I love this place! So I have been here a few times now and the first thing I noticed was the Thai Tea drink (without the condensed milk). It made such a great first impression. Then came the delicious side dishes and the rest is history. So I've tried quite a few things on the menu including the G-Dragon Ball (Yummm!), Deep Fried King Oyster Mushroom (Another big YummMm), Spicy Fresh Tuna Seaweed Rice Cake, Chicken Wings with Spicy Soy Garlic and Honey Butter, the Barbarian Empire Giant Beef Ribs, and A No-Bun Volcano Burger. Everything is so sooo good. The ribs are mouthwatering as it is marinated for four hours in a Korean BBQ marinade. The portions are also huge and the presentation is on fleek. I cannot help but keep raving about this place. I have brought a lot of my friends and co-workers and they have also fell in love. I also have had an opportunity to meet Chef Kang himself and he is incredibly friendly. I cannot wait to bring my family here soon because this is a huge 5 stars in my book. LOVEEE. Parking is easy as there is a plaza (valet at night). There's also street parking available.

The sec I stepped into the restaurant I recognized the hostess, they are the same one as the great food truck in Koreatown! Food is amazing! The service is so friendly and they are a family run business. I like that they created a video of Chief Kang talking about his story as an immigrant and how he connected with the food scene in LA. We ordered fried chicken and a seafood noodle but the host gave us A LOT MORE free food. And they are all so delicious! Definitely coming back again and again! Highly recommended:)

They can have a table up to 10 people of party size if you decide to go there in a big group. Even though they might have not a big indoor space, but they do have tables outdoor as well! Pretty good for a fusion restaurant. I’m not a huge fusion fan, largely because I‘ve experienced overpriced dishes for mediocre, non-immigrant-run food. But this place seems Korean-owned, as expected in K-town, and charges fairly like any other nearby place. The pan fried seafood with rice tasted like a standard oyster sauce-tossed stir fry. But they do a killer job with all their fried food, like the chicken below.

Incredible food with even more incredible people. Their Korean fried chicken is on-par with the best, their vegan friendly black bean noodle is their delicious take on it, and the monster burrito is the best pork belly burrito I've ever tasted. I'll go so far to say it reminded me too the best Philly cheesesteak I've ever tasted and it wasn't even beef! I will definitely go here again!

Korean restaurant
Shiku, located in Grand Central Market, is a Korean eatery founded by the couple behind Baroo. The menu offers a mix of familiar comfort dishes like kimchi pork belly and doenjang-marinated chicken, as well as inventive banchan such as spicy kimchi corn and seaweed japchae. Their dosirak (rice boxes) provide an opportunity to sample various banchan dishes. Additionally, the Korean fried chicken and crispy mandu are highly recommended.
This is a very cool place to eat and relax—I love the atmosphere. I had never tried Korean food before, but this meal changed my life. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with just the right mix of sweet and salty. Plus, the price point was very affordable compared to other options at Grand Central Market

I was walking around the market and nothing really catched my attention until I saw their plates, I had the spicy Korean fried chicken and it was amazing, I rarely do reviews but this plate was a winner, thank you!!! I will be back
Alan G — Google review
March 2024 I ordered a Korean chicken dish, which was really nice. There were plenty of pieces of nicely-spiced fried chicken served on a bed of warm rice with fresh herbs. I wouldn't mind returning.
Simon N — Google review
Food was good, the sides were very very small, just needed to have some more to balance out the meat flavors.
Diana H — Google review
Kimchi braised pork belly was a let down for me. I came here to try this dish. Maybe it was due to the poor service at the front counter. The customer service was not good. I wish she would have been more approachable. There was a sauce that the meal could have used more of and when I asked the lady for more she was very rude about giving me more. For my first time experience I was let down. I found the pork to be too dry and the combination of ingredients off. Very little kimchi and to much rice. Overall I was hoping for some more bang for my buck.
Mytao W — Google review
I walked around the market debating what to have for dinner when this Korean restaurant grabbed my attention. They had a special for Korean fried chicken with kimchi and rice for $15 and it even came with a drink! I chose the spicy option (you could have regular as well). Once I ordered they said 10 minutes as they make it fresh which I appreciated. The chicken was perfectly crispy, with only a thin layer of breading, moist inside and a good sauce. The kimchi was flavorful and came with a mountain of white rice. A huge, delicious meal for a low cost!
Justin — Google review
I love coming here, but I do have a small issue with their food. their portion sizes and contents of the food are always inconsistent. I typically order the rice box with chicken. Often, usually it's the perfect amount, but there had been a few times where there was hardly any. other times, there would be significantly less rice than usual, or the sauces they would add on to the chicken would add either very little or none at all. I typically come by during the later evening when the market has calmed down from the rush, so I don't believe it to be staff being in a rush. It doesn't take away from the quality of the food as I think the taste is very good, but the inconsistencies have made me consider other locations.

Inside the Grand Central Market in downtown LA with many diverse food options, decided to try the Korean eatery. Ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice with fried egg, it was a smaller portion for the price though, also didn’t look like the picture. No vegetable or kimchi sides either. Better going off with their rice plate that has 3 sides just a couple dollars more.

Main Chick Hot Chicken is a pickup and delivery spot known for its delicious tenders, fries, and sauce deal. The food is fresh and flavorful, with friendly service. Customers love the crispy and juicy chicken tenders, especially when paired with the tasty pickles on the side. While it's primarily a takeout place with limited seating, the quality of the food makes it worth visiting.
The tenders and fries are really good here. It’s simply a pickup and delivery place, so there’s no where to sit. 3 tenders, fries, and sauce for $16 is a great deal. Would definitely come back. The leg quarter is also pretty good just harder to eat, the skin also falls off easily. I’d stick to the tenders. 10/10
Karim N — Google review
They only do takeout orders. I recommend the leg quarter—it’s super juicy! I got the mild spicy this time, but it was a bit too sweet for me. I’ll try the hot next time.

Best chicken sandwich I’ve had, but the place is kinda sad. Don’t like the vibe
Daniel G — Google review
I know this is a petty complaint, but… they changed the ranch dressing to being in pre-packaged cups, and it’s ruined everything. Now the pre-packaged ranch just slicks off of the chicken or fries like an oil-based, intensely salty pudding. It’s actually devastating. Unfortunately, even the MC sauce comes in packets as well now, and the consistency of it is also completely different. Look, I know I’m leaving a review based on sauces, but this is an integral part of the hot chicken experience, and I’m so sad that it’s taken such a major downgrade.
Blake D — Google review
If you want to challenge yourself with the level of spicy, Main Chick is your go-to. Their chicken smells really good.

Restaurant
Kokio Chicken in Koreatown LA is a popular spot known for its delicious bone-in and regular chicken options. The restaurant offers great service and a variety of flavorful sauces to accompany the juicy and crispy chicken. Customers can enjoy both takeout and dine-in options with friends. The half drumstick order is highly recommended, offering seven drumsticks at a reasonable price. Additionally, the honey rice cake dish provides a sweet and chewy complement to the savory chicken.
Delicious fried chicken! Sides were also great (Cole slaw, fries and cheese sticks). Definitely going back. Only suggestions for folks… consider getting the sauce on the side if you order the sandwich, just makes the sandwich a bit hard to handle.
Abel T — Google review
This places is bussin!!! If you love good bone in wings this is the place. This not your generic “wing stop”. If you love a good buffalo flavor wing with a hint of tang this is the spot. I also tried the honey flavor with was perfect of it not being too wet nor too dry with the sauce. Fries on point.
Pat R — Google review
Checked out this Korean Fried Chicken spot in Ktown because it was recommended by a friend. The place is casual, clean, ample seating and looks like the perfect spot to bring your friends and family. Their HONEY RICE CAKE CHICKEN stood out the most from everything we ordered. I've never seen fried spicy rice cakes with fried chicken pieces doused in honey sweet sauce and it's really, really good! The tenders were fat, crispy and juicy. It's $18 for an order but the portion is huge can be easily shared by 2-3 people. Their CHICKEN WINGS were really good too. Large and super crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Their GARLIC wings has real garlic and you gotta try it if you love garlic! CHICKEN SANDWICH was only $11 (promotion) and was solid! My only complaint was the bread could've been toasted longer because the top bun got soggy from the cabbage with dressing. Overall, very pleased with the food we got. Costumer service was great too. Located in a small business plaza so parking can be tough if it's busy but there's also street parking. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area!

Service is great. Food is gooood. This is honestly my (current) go-to resto for kchicken cravings. The people were also incredibly kind that they gave us free/extra dishes 😋 def worth the visit!!!
Daphne C — Google review
This is my new favorite chicken spot. We ordered a half order of boneless, 5 drumsticks, and 10/10 wings, and everyone in our group of 5 left super full. Everything came out super warm, and the cold ingredients were very fresh. We ordered original, spicy battered, sweet and spicy, and honeybee. All the flavors were super good. The spicy ones had the perfect amount of heat. We dined in, and the service was great! The fact that we also got free parking made our trip even more enjoyable, since that’s super hard to find in Koreatown now. Highly recommend!
Olivia K — Google review
The chicken was cooked perfectly-- breading was crispy and crunchy while the meat was juicy. The garlic sauce is VERY garlicky, and we ended up taking it home and it reheated so well. Rice cakes were also really yummy, and the waffle fries are well seasoned! Will definitely be back to try the other wing flavors. Service was really great, the owners were really excited for their shop opening. The shop is very clean and has lots of seating!
Michelle L — Google review
Had dinner here the other day and chicken was AMAZING! This is my new go to spot for Korean fried chicken in ktown. The garlic chicken and honey bee chicken were my favorite! The honey bee was not too sweet which was perfect to me. As a garlic lover the garlic wings were perfect. Aside from the chicken, the spicy rice cake was excellent. Definitely coming back to try the other things on the menu! There’s a parking lot in the front so super convenient.

I was a little worried about ordering from a kiosk but there was staff in the dining room cleaning, which is always a good sign, and I was greeted which is also a good sign. We ordered chicken sandwich combos 12 bucks each!!!!! It was simply amazing…. fries were hot and crispy sandwich was on point 10/10. Highly recommend

Krispy Krunchy Chicken is a fast-food eatery known for its Cajun-style fried chicken, wings, and seafood. Located inside a convenience store, it offers a variety of options including fried chicken, tenders, saucy wings, and even breakfast items. Customers can also find a fully stocked beer selection at the store. The food has received mixed reviews with some praising the juicy chicken and delicious biscuits while others have noted inconsistencies in the flavors of certain dishes.
Our personal experience with this place was always amazing. Maybe it depends on what you order, our food was always fresh and yummy. Thank you!
Calin C — Google review
I'm giving ⭐️⭐️ in memory of how their food used to be: fresh. They'll have the fried chicken and biscuits sitting under the heat lamps to the point the biscuits are hard and pretty much burnt, yet argue the biscuits are fresh when you let them know their biscuits are clearly darkened and hard. These people are clearly prejudice and unable to receive customer feedback. Never returning.

I’m sorry to say I try the honey butter fried shrimp was too sweet, flavor wasn’t balanced at all. The Boudin bites was just mush with no flavor and big piece of chicken that wasn’t tender and way too big. The jambalaya was very oily , no tomatoes or shrimp, just dark rice and oil with sour taste. The red beans and rice. was ok . I won’t remember it .The chicken had no flavor and was undercooked. It wasn’t the best that I thought it would be the outside crispy was the only thing good but again no flavor. I unfortunately won’t be going back. Totally disappointed…..

The food is good when they have the right chef other times is like they just want to cook something fast and mess up the food like one example the kung pao chicken should be spicy but it wasn't this 3rd time that I went there also the spicy fish wasn't either and no flavor ,and I've tried those before and it was great

Soul food restaurant
Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles is a classic soul food joint that serves up some of the best chicken and waffles in Hollywood. The restaurant has a casual vibe and is frequented by celebrities and Obama, who famously enjoyed their fried chicken and waffles in 2011.
This has been around for decades! The chicken has always remained constant and the waffles, golden brown please! It’s been a part of Hollywood and a must go to for visitors. Plenty of options from greens, yams, corn bread, giblets (which I love with lemon and hot sauce), omelets, fries, potato salad, omelets and sweet potato (nata) pie to name a bunch! I first came to Roscoe’s, the small original side in 1990’s and never stopped coming in when I can. It’s such a consistent experience that whenever you have a taste for it the taste will be satisfied as you remembered it. The staff is a loyal team, friendly team and some have been there since the 1990s and like myself haven’t aged a bit :). Now I have to say it’s not the cheapest chicken or waffles in town. But it’s a staple experience that only hurts the wallet at checkout but satisfies the stomach every time you think about it. Check out the swag on the way out if you’re just visiting. Purchase a t-shirt or hat and I guarantee people are gonna want to talk to you about it! Going Back to Cali for Roscoe’s is a rally cry folks.

First time here and overall, pretty solid experience! My girlfriend went with the chicken thigh & waffles and I had the chicken strips & waffles both were really good. The waffles leaned a little too sweet for me, but hey, still tasty. The chicken? Absolute star of the show. Juicy, flavorful. Just wish the portion size was a little bigger. We added cornbread and mac & cheese on the side. Mac & cheese delicious, creamy, no notes. Cornbread… well, let’s just say I really wanted to like it, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype in my head. The vibe was super chill, maybe too chill since it was just us and one other guest. Customer service was a bit hit-or-miss. The guy who greeted us? Awesome energy, super welcoming. Our waitress, on the other hand, seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else and honestly, can’t blame her, it was a beautiful day outside. Still, a little extra warmth would’ve matched the food better. All in all: great chicken, cozy vibe, and some small areas for improvement. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving chicken and waffles done right!

Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles is a soul food institution that delivers comfort with every bite. The signature combo crispy, golden fried chicken paired with fluffy, slightly sweet waffles is iconic for a reason. The seasoning on the chicken is bold and savory, while the waffles offer a warm, buttery contrast that somehow makes perfect sense. The vibe is laid back and nostalgic, with walls that echo decades of history and celebrity visits. Service is friendly, portions are generous, and the experience feels like a warm hug from LA’s culinary past. First time visiting the iconic Rosco’s Chicken and Waffle 🧇 🍗 We arrived at 10:30AM, and got lucky with a parking spot right in-front. We were three people and were sat right away. I had the one chicken piece with one waffle and banana pudding. It not just hype, the chicken is delicious, it was Crispy and Juicy, I was for my waffle crispy. Also had the banana pudding, I love the little chunks of waffle in it. 🍌

I had the gravy chicken and waffles. The gravy flavor reminded me of country fried steak. The food was very fresh and hot when severed. The waffles were very fluffy and delicious.

Well finally tried this place that people kept telling me about, I honestly had high hopes for this chicken and waffles, unfortunately it's ok not good or great for me at least. The other people that was with me had the same feelings about it. Corn bread was good, service was excellent, chicken was alright not juicy kinda dry and the waffles was meh. I probably won't come back but I'll give it one try and hopefully I'll have a better experience.

felt like simple food done right, staff knew their stuff too! the crispy chicken sandwich was hefty [but not greasy], soft squish of buttered buns and crisp chicken that tasted like real chicken, not that freezer-to-fryer mystery meat; and i say this as a cilantro-hater but that coleslaw was great—tangy and fresh. the tuna mango roll was interesting.. more for the sweet-dinner people: very ripe mango, buttery-soft tuna [wasn't fishy at all], and i've got no idea what the lil clear skin-like wrap was that held the roll together, but i need more of it, just wish the bell pepper wasn't there, it stood🧍‍♂️awkwardly in the mouth. the chocolate brownie for dessert sent me into a sugar coma: warm, rich, sweet, and not a cake cosplaying as a brownie as most restaurant "brownies", the vanilla bean ice cream had legit flavour too; it's a full sugar send, no regrets, recommended.

Carefully read the description and composition of the dish. It is our fault that we did not read it and took Hawaiian steak instead of the usual one. We do not like it. In addition, we did not like the fried fish and the sauce for it. Apparently, we are used to other tastes.

We order take out tonight since they didn’t have any open seats to 8:45. I ordered at 5:40. We both got crispy chicken sandwich. When I picked up food I asked about French fries and I was told by the hostess they don’t travel well so it was only the sandwich. I said should have gotten a discount right and she made no comment. So total cost 2 chicken sandwiches plus tax and a $6 tip came to $55. Terrible they should be upfront on that or offer another side. Very disappointed!!! Santa Monica location

My Wife and visited for dinner 10/12/25 we were regulars at Houstons in Manhattan Bch. we both ordered the Hawaiian Ribeye prepared perfectly pink center arrived hot to our table. unfortunately this is definitely a different cut than we’re use to my first bite was from the center of the cut and it was so tough it was undesirable i then tried the outer portion which is usually more fatty on this cut and it was perfect unfortunately there were only three bites there after trimming the majority of the fat. the mashed potatoes were great and so was the tabouli, as was our spinach artichoke appetizer. I also noticed the 🥩 steaks were rather thin when served which caught my attention immediately. our service was great reception and service staff we even had a great welcoming from the manager David. We really enjoy dining out and will definitely go back it just won’t be for steaks anymore.

Seafood restaurant
Jitlada Restaurant, located in a modest strip mall, is a popular spot for those seeking authentic and spicy Thai cuisine. The restaurant has gained recognition from food critics and awards for its traditional Southern Thai dishes. With a menu featuring over 20 types of curry and a wide variety of seafood-heavy and very spicy regional dishes, Jitlada offers an extensive dining experience.
We had dinner on a Saturday night. The place was packed and there was a long wait. They don't take reservations, but you can put your name on the waiting list at the front door. We ordered Pad See Ew, Crispy Morning Glory Salad, Combination Fried Rice (Jitlada) Tom Kha Soup, Stir-Fried Chinese Water Crest (Morning Glory) and Mixed Vegetables w/ Chicken. There was a bit of a wait after we ordered, but that's understandable with the restaurant so busy. The food was delicious and worth the wait!

Food was decent and portion sizes were large, the waitress was helpful. I think it’s a personal preference but southern Thai curry is not to my taste, it’s also pretty spicy. The duck summer rolls were good and so were the vegetables. Pad see ew was decent as well (a little too salty). The pumpkin curry was the southern Thai curry dish that I didn’t really love. It had little flavor and it was just spicy (we got medium).

One of my wife’s favorite Thai restaurant. This place is incredible well known for their food being really spicy. I’d consider it a landmark as many celebrities endorse this place. Unfortunately the chef that started this restaurant passed away and now his wife and relatives are in the kitchen. The food is not as good but my wife still enjoys it. Their Thai tea is hands down one of the best Thai teas ever!!!

Fantastic Thai restaurant that has been visited by tons of celebrities and won many awards. The menu is gigantic with hundreds of items. Everything is packed with flavor and very fresh with big portions too. The interior is big and has lots of decorations. Staff are friendly and helpful with recommendations on the menu.

Restaurant has extremely long wait times to start off with. Once you are seated, the time to even have your order taken is about 15-20 minutes, with the majority of the customers still waiting for an order. In my own opinion, the food has no flavor or seasoning with such high prices for extremely little portions. I came with a group of 4, each ordering a plate per person with drinks. It came out to a total of $170.00. I had the crab with fried rice, and my significant other had the spicy mango salmon. The salmon had the littlest portion, with mainly the meal consisting of the lettuce, onion, and mango. Meanwhile, my order number 223 on the menu displayed a large crab claw, but to my expectation, it was very small and disappointing, with a single tiny slice of lemon provided. Overall, the decoration was nice, and if they had more servers, I think the restaurant would flow smoother, but it has long wait times, and in my experience, the food has no seasoning, small portions, crab tasted like salt water due to no seasoning. Expensive for small portions.

Everything is excellent at this place. First time here and definitely a place to go back to. Got 2 chef’s special, sea bass and the sweet baby squids, better than I expected. Got the soft shell crab roll, freshly fried so yummy. Crying tiger which is marinated grilled beef with spicy sauce, excellent grilled beef, good favor and still juicy beef. Sweet crab claws is a must too. Tom yum soup with seafood, just right spicy level, yum-o!!!

Finally had the chance to visit Jitlada for dinner, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The vibe is laid-back and unpretentious — exactly what I was hoping for. The staff were friendly, fast, and warm, but what really stood out was Jazz, the owner. She personally greeted every table, making sure guests felt welcome and cared for. When she stopped by mine, she shared the story of how she brought Southern Thai flavors to Hollywood — a refreshing shift from the more common Northern Thai fare. I told her I wouldn’t bother her with the usual “what do you recommend?” and instead asked her to bring what she loves and thinks I’d enjoy. She nailed it. To start, she sent over Crying Tiger (marinated sautéed beef in chili sauce) and Morning Glory Tiger Prawns (crispy Thai morning glory with prawns and a citrusy kick) — a perfect balance of heat, tang, and crunch. Absolutely delicious. For the main course, I had the Crab Meat Noodles and Green Curry — both packed with flavor, clearly made with fresh ingredients and care. I ended with Mango Sticky Rice, which tasted just like the ones I’ve had in Thailand — simple, comforting, and perfectly executed. Big thanks to Jazz for the thoughtful recommendations and warm hospitality. This small, bustling spot has earned a permanent spot on my go-to list. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Thai food with heart

Holy Thai Curry! Jitlada’s was an unexpected gem and a place I will highly recommend anyone and everyone go to for super legit, flavorful, authentic Thai and Southern Thai cuisine! I wish I had had more time and stomach space to order and eat more! We had the Papaya salad with fresh shrimp (will go for fresh blue crab next time!), the Spicy Seafood combination, the Green Curry with Pork (excellent) and, my favorite, the Frog Legs in spicy curry with eggplant. Yum! This was only lunch and we ordered 4 dishes off the 10-12 page menu! The food was spectacular, and I’ve eaten Thai food all over the world and all over LA! The service was fast and attentive, and you felt like you were transported from the tiny strip mall, to a family restaurant in Thailand. Definitely heading back there as soon as possible. First, gotta go eat more of the frog leg curry. If you like your Thai food spicy, this place will NOT let you down. I happily ate while my face melted off. It was fantastic.

Poppy + Rose is a charming cafe located in the heart of the Original LA Flower Market. Established in 2014 by Chef Michael Reed and Kwini Reed, this cozy eatery has gained recognition for its delectable Southern comfort dishes made with fresh ingredients. Was very impressed with Poppy+Rose! The food was phenomenal and the service was great as well. Nice neighborhood breakfast spot. Service was a little slow but I think that’s because they only had two waiters. Our waitress Kayla was awesome at managing what she could and was very hospitable. The food was pretty good. I thought the crab cake Benedict should have had more crab. All of the other flavors masked the taste of the crab unfortunately. The fries were delicious and so was the fried chicken.

After we had all our flowery-needs yesterday I asked my wife to Yelp "best breakfast in DTLA" and it popped up - the Poppy & Rose - and we were standing in front of it. I must say two things: I did not find the ambiance too appealing and they you could hear through the open door it was extremely loud. Still, we gave it a try - and I can tell you: it was delicious. Our server - one you would describe as the typical California surfer boy - was extremely charming - so despite the so-so ambiance (the vibe of this place was great though) and the noise we will definitely go again. Would we make a 30+ min detour just to eat here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve five out five): again, oh yes!

First time here and I am blown away at how good it is!!! I ordered the pulled pork hash and my bf got the chicken sandwich both of which were tender and full of flavor. I will definitely be telling people about this place and will be back!! It is super loud in here but you can still talk.

Oh this place is a sleeper cell!! Delicious. Had the pulled pork hash - GAS!!! Savory in flavor this hit all the right queues. Don’t be afraid to drop in and order, everything we had was fresh and the strawberry lemonade hits too.

I got the chicken and waffles and a side of grits. The chicken was very tender and sweet goes great with the fresh crispy fluffy waffles ! I added some butter and salt/pepper to my grits and smothered them over each bite of chicken as i enjoyed life for a cool minute! My girl and I shared this meal she got her own side and we both left full. HIGHLY Recommend!

The food was okay--nothing special. I ordered a salad with fried chicken, but the chicken was bland and really lacked seasoning. The service was friendly but not very attentive. Overall, it was fine for a quick bite, and l'd eat here again if I were already in the area. But I wouldn't make a special trip just to come back.

Charming little breakfast spot in a nice neighborhood. The service was a bit slow, but it seemed they were short-staffed with only two servers. Our waitress, Kayla, was wonderful — friendly, attentive, and handled everything with a great attitude. The food was overall pretty good. The crab cake Benedict could’ve used a bit more crab flavor, as the other ingredients overpowered it. On the bright side, the fries were crispy and delicious, and the fried chicken was excellent. I’d definitely come back to give it another try!

Chao Krung Thai is a long-standing Thai restaurant in town, serving delicious everyday fare since 1976. Under the care of second-generation chef Amanda Kuntee, the menu now features small plates and curries as its highlights. The revamped space with ornate Southeast Asian art and decor makes it a great option for a casual date or cozy weekend in. The restaurant offers seasonal specials like Northern Thai isaan sausage, attracting a new generation of patrons.
One of the good thai restaurants in LA. Loved their mussels and esan sausage. Crispy pork basil with rice tasted close to authentic. The lady who helped us out was nice and friendly.

I recently dined at Chao Krung Thai and was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the service. We ordered the fried chicken, chicken green curry, shrimp pad Thai, and green papaya salad. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. While I personally prefer lighter tastes, and found some dishes a bit on the salty and sweet side, I believe most people would find the flavors delightful. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, with modern and stylish decor that adds to the dining experience. Our server was exceptionally kind and attentive, even preparing a to-go box for us without hesitation. I truly appreciate the thoughtful accommodation provided by the staff. Overall, Chao Krung Thai offers a wonderful dining experience with delicious food, generous portions, and outstanding service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting.

Fantastically authentic Thai, where the spices aren't just 'spicy' but obviously essential to the unique qualities of the dish. We had the 'jerky style' beef for an appy and the eggplant and shrimp dish (forgot all the thai names and to take a snapshot of the menu, boo), but am adding pictures. Highly recommend in this area, if you are not into the typical tourist who is looking for 'not spicy' versions of pad thai and the like. A real foodie find.
Chloe F — Google review
Everything that came out was really well prepared. They’ve taken some traditional dishes and tempered them so they are more pure in flavor and nothing seems overpowering. The produce that goes into these dishes seems like they have been carefully selected and I have dinned at many Thai restaurants around the world. I would say this is one of the best Thai food experiences I’ve had in L.A if not the best. Great place to share a bunch of different plates as they are all medium to large in portions. The atmosphere is okay, but not the most comfortable seating, a few cushions on the wooden benches and chairs would add a lot. The fact that it’s bare surfaces all around, makes it a little bit colder in the atmosphere even though it does have somewhat cozy vibe. Pricing very reasonable for the quality of food you get. Toilets are small so larger people will feel cramped and wheel chairs will not fit.
Jacob C — Google review
There is a young bartender here who greets guests with an extremely arrogant attitude. The cocktails he makes are far from good, and it’s clear that he needs significant training — not only in mixology but also in personal character and hospitality. Unfortunately, there’s no real taste in his drinks and absolutely no sense of welcoming or guest service. I would strongly suggest that future visitors think twice before coming here.

Good good, great atmosphere. Sea Bass was great altho price was not in the menu. Ended up paying $60. Not sure if it was worth that much.

Came here on a Saturday at 1pm when they opened. Was one of the first customers and had my seating of choice. Service was prompt and polite. I dined in as well as ordered take out. Their lunch meal set are great! Lots of selections to choose from (rice, noodles, curry, soups). Size is nicely portioned. All the food was tasty, nicely flavored, and fresh tasting. If I'm back in the Beverly Center area, I will definitely stop in again.

Thai restaurant
Night + Market Sahm is a vibrant and bustling restaurant that offers modern twists on traditional Thai cuisine. Chef Kris Yenbamroong, a native of Los Angeles with deep Thai roots, brings an authentic taste of Thailand to the menu. The restaurant has gained critical acclaim for its authenticity and has received nods from the James Beard Foundation. The atmosphere is described as 'California chill meets Bangkok frenzy,' offering a lively vibe with an array of natural wines to complement the flavorful dishes.
Really laid back and eccentric Thai spot in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles. The hostess was very nice and quick to get us seated. The interior is fun and stylish. The ordering still is family so make sure you get everything ready to order at once. The wine selection is killer. The food was out of this world. So much flavor packed into typical Thai dishes. By far the best Thai I’ve had. I couldn’t put the lamb larb down. The short rib beef panang was to die for. The mango stick rice was the perfect finish. Bring some friends, order too much food, get a bottle of wine or two, and have a great time.

Ordered Panang curry and pad Thai - good spice levels, tender beef, soft chicken. Feel like the curry should come with rice.
Philipp T — Google review
The food was actually pretty authentic. Was pretty surprised by how spicy it was from just medium. Portion was definitely way too generous!
Helen C — Google review
Just dined at Venice location for 1st time despite living in the ‘hood for several years now. Had dined earlier at Westside location during pandemic & enjoyed the food. John, Zoe, Colleen & Bailey are the reasons for the 5-star scores for food & service. One less star for atmosphere because the usual energetic punk rock music was on the verge of inducing a migraine flare for me. But exemplary staff graciously responded to my request to silence the music!🙏🙏🙏 Food was tasty but at times a tad too salty ( concern for hubby who needs to watch his bp). Despite generally avoiding Thai food due to bad food poisoning memory from a local restaurant when he was a college kid, he’s willing to come back and dine here! Praise be, because the rest of the family enjoys delicious Thai fare! Hubby’s favorite was the blistered green beans with garlic chili sauce! I enjoyed all the dishes we ordered veg larb, garlic green beans, creamy & refreshingly tart chicken soup ( khao soi gai),pork toro ( belly) with jaew sauce, and especially enjoyed the sweet pickled radish bits flavoring the yummy tofu pad Thai! We will happily return with Thai- food loving son in tow!

This is a good restaurant. We felt that the 5 different dishes we ordered were a little too salty. They can definitely reduce salt. Quantities were good. Music was too loud and I couldn't even hear the person across from me. Hope they improve.
Siva S — Google review
This place is really busy but was seated immediately. The food is very very spicy and fresh!!!😋 That did it for me. The waitress was awesome and made suggestions to whatever I was trying to order. What I liked about is that they can tell the newcomers from the regulars. I was definitely a first-time customer and their suggestions were spot on for food and drinks. Be prepared to wear your stretchy pants because you will be taking food home. 😂🤣😆 The average price is around about $20 or so for each dish, some little bit less and some about couple dollars more. They give you your money's worth. 💲💲 I will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes on the menu. Stop by and be ready for an awesome spicy adventure!🌶️😋

Place has gone WAY DOWNHILL. This used to be a go-to spot for us but food and service quality have diminished significantly in the past year. Just went to a restaurant in Thai Town and it blew Night Market out of the water. Still a fun atmosphere as a pregame spot, I guess, but I honestly would not recommend if you care about food quality or decent service.
Blake J — Google review
We had a very enjoyable dinner here. Wanted to branch out from our usual thai. We got Panang curry, pad see ew with chicken, and the garlic green beans. Everything was yummy and delicious. We started off with sticky rice, but moved to the jasmine as the sticky rice was very hard and dense. We couldn't even cut it with a fork. We’re guessing they make it ahead of time and just let it sit out. I would not recommend. The beef in the Panang were small tender bites and perfect. The roti served alongside, while appreciated, was waaaay too greasy. Great list of natural wines and excellent service. Food came out fast and hot. Will go back and try something else as I missed their larb.

Monorom Cambodian Restaurant is a cozy and inviting spot that serves up traditional Cambodian cuisine along with dishes from Thailand and Vietnam. The menu features popular Khmer favorites, including the intensely flavored green papaya salad and lemongrass beef sticks. One must-try dish is the prahok ktis, a traditional Cambodian meal consisting of in-season vegetables and a flavorful dip. While the service may be a bit slow at times, the freshly made food is worth the wait.
Stopped in for quick bite. Asked our server for recommendations and he suggested the beef skewers. We were blown away at how juicy and flavorful they were! The fried chicken and sweet and sour fish were also delicious, and prices are very reasonable! Put this spot on my list to come back the next time I'm in town!

Let's me start by saying WOW! I mean this was my first time ever trying Cambodian food and I am blown away!! We ordered the roasted duck, beef skewers, mango salad, fried fish and everything had so much flavor and was absolutely made with love. Also the owner was so friendly and caring and made us feel like we were at his home for dinner. Thank you again and I will be bringing all of my friends here
Tyler K — Google review
I can't wait to come back and try more of their other dishes. You already know its going to be good authentic food when it's a mom and pop shop, located in a sketchy shopping center and Cambodian music videos playing in the background. Disclaimer: you may have to wait for someone to take your order if you're dining in. Just be patient because they only have one staff answering calls, taking order and serving dine-in guest. Just know the food is delicious and food comes out piping hot. We got the Papaya Salad, Fried Fish w/ Mango Sauce, and Combo Pin Noodles. The food was so good I only got a picture of the Papaya Salad and ate everything else before we realized I haven't taken a photo. Sauces were all very flavorful, fish was perfectly crisp, and food was all on point. Definitely recommend trying this place when your in the local area!

We drove all the way from Laguna Hills to Little Cambodia in Long Beach which took about an hour to try this restaurant. It didn't disappoint! The food was delicious and such an explosion on your tastebuds! For me personally, Cambodian food is like Thai food on steroid. I highly recommend the lemongrass soup and the beef steak on skewers.

A small hole in the wall place. Ive had Thai and Vietnamese food before, and this definitely had very similar and unique plates to bring. Very good for having family style as well as they all were shrable.

First time trying Cambodian food, and I liked everything but the sdao (which is famously bitter). Server was very kind and attentive even though it was busy during the lunch hour. Highly recommend the fish amok and the prahok creme.

Great food! You do have to wait a bit, but that means the food is made fresh. I tried Student Noodle, Phnom Penh Noodle, and Crispy Pork Belly. Crispy Pork Belly was the best. It's a long drive from LA, but it's worth it to try Cambodian food bc it's distinct from Thai/Vietnamese food. I'd go back to try fried fish and Khmer favorites. It's a diner style atmosphere with Cambodian decorations.

Restaurant
Honeybird, located in La Canada Flintridge, is a bright and casual spot known for its buttermilk-brined fried chicken, salads, side dishes, and pies. The restaurant's airy space features white walls, light wood tables, decorative stone glasses on the wall, and a prominent pie case. Customers can place their orders at the counter and find seating while waiting for their food.
The store is newly opened, so it's clean and the staff is friendly. The donuts are not too sweet, trendy, and the dough is moist and delicious. I'm having fun picking out donuts from this shop two or three times a week.

Ordered two plates of chicken and waffles for dine-in... I can't believe how bad the food was 🤢! The waffles were dry as a bone, and the fried chicken looked (and tasted) like it was cooked last week and reheated in an air fryer. I feel like this place used to be good? What the hell happened?
Jason S — Google review
This isn’t Southern food and whatever it is, is just bad. No idea what’s going on with all the positive reviews. This food is BAD. I got the “country” chicken brunch plate and french toast- both incredibly dry, bland at best, and a total waste of $40. I had to send the first plate of chicken back for not even tasting cooked. There is no way anyone cooking this has ever even had real Southern food. I really do not recommend this place

Most beautiful breakfast sandwich. Be sure to ask for their homemade in-house hot sauce. Eggs were beautifully cooked and the chicken was crispy and juicy on a light and airy potato bun. Happy start to my morning.

The chicken and waffles is a must try! The waffle is buttery soft the chicken is perfectly seasoned and moist. My partner had the spicy Honeybird and could not say enough good things about it. & the Mac salad - get it as your side - It’s fantastic!! I tried to figure out what was in it to make at home. The service was great other than I ordered cold brew & although I usually like it without cream and sugar- I was never offered any and their cold brew was slightly bitter. Everything else was excellent!

Great, delicious chicken, garlic potatoes, and salads. This place is kept very clean and shiny! Great menu with many choices of sides and drinks. We absolutley loved the sweet cole slaw!!! Mom and I split one dinner with two breasts and two sides, and still had leftovers. Check out their extensive menu. And the pies for dessert are scrumptious!!! We got key lime pie. So good! I give the whole place five stars. Very efficiently run and the young people running it do a great job! The chicken ia perfectly cooked and tender inside. And they have honey you can put on yourself. You order at the counter and then they prepare it and you pick it all up on a tray. We went on a Sunday night and it wasn't crowded so we were quite happy. I have been here a few times when it was full of people and kids and was quite hectic. Best to leave for dinner early if you like it less busy. But it closes a bit early on Sunday and we were delighted to find it quiet and nice.
Barbara N — Google review
I popped into Honeybird after a hike and their crispy fried chicken hit the spot. The batter is super light but still shatters in the best way. Collard greens had a little vinegar kick that cut through the richness. Seating is casual and bright, and orders come out faster than you’d expect. Parking in the small lot gets tight around lunch, but street parking on Foothill works fine

The Bamboo Club is a laid-back tiki joint in Long Beach, offering outdoor seating and a diverse menu. It's known for its innovative fried chicken sandwich, featuring a unique brine infused with Thai tea leaves. This creates a creamy and familiar flavor without the sweetness of condensed milk. The bar celebrates Long Beach's love for tiki culture and drinks, reminiscent of the city's history with tiki concepts.
The go-to spot and top bar on my list in Long Beach! A dimly lit and atmospheric tiki bar (with a patio in the back) great for dinner with the family or a night out drinking. They have a large menu that’s very accommodating for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free modifications! Different events are hosted nearly everyday of the week including sick shows, be sure to check their event calendar ahead of time! Even on packed out nights I’ve never had an excessive wait time to get a drink at the bar but do keep in mind this place does get busy due to it’s popularity (rightfully so) If you’re planning to grab lunch or dinner reservations are HIGHLY recommended especially for large groups, wait times varies but can sometimes be a few hours during peak times
Rowan H — Google review
Novelty tiki bar that serves food from burgers to Hawaiian dishes. The food is delicious, but comes out of the kitchen a little too quickly. The inside of this tiki bar is dark and dinghy, with the patio needing a little more than some bamboo and a fountain to continue the tiki vibe. The drinks are what makes a tiki bar a tiki bar and they are great concoctions. We only wish that there was more liquid and less ice for the price. At about $17 per drink.. a glass full of ice that with the first sip empties 2/3 of the drink makes you question how much liquid is there. It felt like shots were bought and then poured into a glass full of crushed ice. The macaroni salad and peppers would be the two dishes to get and share at the table.

Tremble Club Review 1. The halloween drink menu has a ton of cool options. That the bartenders appear to hate making. And all of the drinks are over $20. 2. After you pay, they tell you there's a mandatory %18 gratuity because of the type of drinks and the "halloween" experience. 3. The bus boy who tried to take a drink i wasnt finished with was a jerk. I stopped him and asked for it back. He said, "its empty are you dead in the head." I said, "no there's at least my 18% gratuity in there." He stomped off then proceeded to complain about me and point to me amongst the staff. This bar is for a specific niche crowd. And despite it being a full on tiki bar, there seems to be an attitude about ordering the drinks and being able to finish them. Over this place.

This place was amazing, we went on a Saturday around 1pm. Honestly we didn’t know what to expect it was a bit dark when we went inside. Once we order our first drink it was game over. I got a Mai Tai and the Nina Fresa (10/10). The chicken sandwich however amazing that first bite that crunchiness was out of this world. My girl is not a big fan of Cold slaw and pickles and ate it all I was amazed. The Mac was a 7/10 not our favorite but still passed. We will definitely be back.

Birdies is a trendy coffee shop in DTLA that offers a unique combination of artisanal donuts and free-range fried chicken. The menu features a variety of inventive donut flavors such as lemon thyme pistachio, strawberry white chocolate, and candied maple bacon, along with a luxurious 24K gold leaf-coated option. Using locally sourced ingredients, Birdies creates crowd-pleasing pastries like the lemon thyme pistachio and delectable horchata twists.
It is NO longer called Birdies. However, it is still a cute little café with excellent service, good tasting coffee, and soft fluffy donuts. As we were leaving, it did start to get a little busy, so be prepared.
Annie L — Google review
This place felt like a little league concession being run by junior high kids who have never worked in a restaurant in their life. Birdies may have been a good place (I never went) but it seems to have shut down and is "reopened" as Duchess. Duchess was a horrible experience and the food was terrible to mid at best. The staff, while very polite, did not seem like they knew how to run a restaurant. We had to repeat our order several times and they still forgot something. The chicken breading was inconsistently fried and flavorless. The cheese on my sandwich had cooled & hardened by the time it got to me. We basically only ate the fries, and they were just okay. The donut was also mid. Definitely nothing like pictures of it I'm seeing in reviews from a while back. The hot chocolate was just a gigantic cup of steamed milk with a tiny splash of syrup added at the end. It wasn't even mixed in. Basically, it seems like someone has tried to revamp this recently closed restaurant and they're doing a terrible job of it so far. Oh, and we couldn't see a health inspection rating anywhere.

AMAZING!!! Mind blowing amazing in so many ways. FOOD QUALITY AND AMOUNT; the sandwich I had was really tasty and I could finish in a second. Also the fries are crispy and perfectly cooked. I ordered the large fries and it comes with really great amount. And the price is super reasonable!!!! it’s hard to find a place which had reasonable price with great quality. Also, so many varieties of foods donuts and coffee. ATMOSPHERE / SERVICE; Inside the restaurant is really nice clean cafe environment. Also people who works there are very friendly and nice also respectful. Answer to your questions with smile and care (almost felt like a Japanese standard customer service mindset + friendliness and down to earth in great balance) AND they’re open till 3 on Fri-Sun.

Accidentally came during their happy hour. Got their chicken jr sando ($3.50), banana cream donut ($4.25), and horchata donut ($3). Everything was pretty average. The chicken sando was like a mini Chick-fil-A and Popeyes sando combined. Their donuts were light and fluffy and not dry but very light in flavor. Mostly just tasted like sugar. Workers were very nice tho.
AC9 — Google review
Loved everything I tried here. First, and foremost, as you walk into the shop, the first thing you will see are these beautiful donuts, waiting for a kind heart to take them home 😁 I tried their breakfast burrito and it was spectacular. Their heat level did not disappoint, the quality of ingredients used was fresh and delicious! Also, tater tots are life and Birdies knows how to meet expectations on this front. Their donuts were exquisite and I thoroughly enjoyed their variety, which includes horchata and bacon-maple flavoured donuts. Their coffee offers are solid and, the most important thing is that everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming and very proactive. I loved my experience here and can't recommend it enough. Lastly, this place, like many places in LA, is pet-friendly 💜

Google maps is a little confusing because of the name change (which is Duchess). It’s a very cute shop that offers everything you want at breakfast: doughnuts, coffee, breakfast sandwiches and burritos. They have an “early bird” special that lets you get a breakfast sandwich with tots & coffee. We ordered two of those in addition to a breakfast burrito and a chocolate doughnut for a toddler. The coffee was a little burnt, but the tots and sandwich were (the good kind of) fire. The original breakfast sandwich was awesome, as was the chicken sandwich. In fact, the chicken sandwich was easily one of the best I’ve had - even though it was a chicken breast, it was very juicy and freshly fried! The burrito was also fantastic: well flavored and prepared. The hospitality was also great - the employees were very friendly and kind: creating a very welcoming environment. The only drawback here was the wait time: since the food was being freshly prepared, it took much longer than expected for food, but it was worth the wait. Something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a quick stop!

Traveling from San Antonio, I knew I had to try this chicken, I’ve seen it all over social media and I had to try it, the chicken did not disappoint, the fries were nice and crispy and perfectly seasoned, the Mac and cheese was good too but lacked a little flavor, but when you pair it with the chicken and fries it doesn’t matter, the server also gave each person at the table an Oreo donut on the house which was really good as well. great food, great experience, would definitely come back,

The meal was great. It was made just the way that I ordered it. I definitely recommend trying the food out here. I do reviews all the way around the world and I feel like the service here could’ve been a lot better . The lady taking the orders did not seem like she wanted to work. She did not greet me when I arrived, even though I said hello to her, she still did not say anything. She just looked at me. Everything is digital for taking the orders . It’s a quick easy process to order from the kiosk. I give this place a four star review only because service could have been better 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I stopped by this hot chicken place today to try their food since I was already getting something from the store next door. I placed my order through their website and got the first pickup time of the day. I got the plate with two sandwiches and fries. I selected one mild and one medium for the spice level. I arrived right when the place open and there was enough parking since the plaza wasn't busy yet. The worker had trouble opening the door so we had to wait a little bit, there were other people waiting as well. All of the employees did not greet or acknowledge any of us while we were inside the store. I saw they had horchata drink here so I placed an order with their kiosk for a small one for my wife. My order was not ready until ten minutes after my pickup time. The whole time waiting, none of the workers interacted with any of the guest or stayed behind the counter. The parking lot was packed when I left. The hot chicken was okay, the bread was not my favorite and they the ratio of the bread to chicken is not balance. There more bread, so it just depends on the person. The fries were more soggy so it wasn't that good but they give a good amount of it. The price is different from their website until you place an order. This place was alright to try once in my opinion.

I genuinely have no words, bangin buns is seriously SO good and you must come try it!! Workers are super friendly and will make sure you feel well served:) Also, beautiful spot! Music playing but not overwhelming, perfect to enjoy your food and the vibes🥹Trust me, this will be your new favorite place!!

Food was too good I forgot to get a picture. Only got a picture of the donut which was absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly and fast. I would definitely come here again.
Amanda D — Google review
The food was made and delivered super quick. The tenders were nice and crunchy. I got a medium heat, definitely will try the Hot next time. The burger was good, had a very similar In-N-Out taste. The fries were very good. Plus the sauce packets were a great addition.

Great clean store, customer service was very friendly and patient going over options. Chicken was cooked and spice level was on point. I also like the longer bread for sandwiches, so it all fits neatly. Price was adequate for portions. Much better than Dave's. Will stop by again.

Farm shop
Breakfast restaurant
Gourmet grocery store
Farmshop is a rustic-chic eatery located in the Brentwood Country Mart, just a short drive from Santa Monica's bustling promenade and beach. This artisanal restaurant, bakery, and market offers locally sourced California-inspired dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The bakery serves up house-made pastries and treats while the market features a carefully curated selection of prepared foods, charcuterie, cheese, chocolate, produce, wine, and beer.
Farm Shop is a dual concept, on one side they have a grocery shop, with a nice assortment of high-end products, baked goods like fresh pastries, a selection of vegetables and fruits as well as meat and cheese. They have also a cellar with a pretty wide selection of wines. On the other side, they also have a restaurant, a good spot for brunch or dinner with friends and family.

Went for brunch. The food was good but nothing extraordinary in my opinion. The plating was pretty but the egg dishes were just ok tasting. The ambiance is always fun; casual but high end. The service is great. The salted butter was incredible and the espresso martini was perfect. Not too sweet as i requested. Park in the lot for a small fee.

Coming from out of California - must try the roasted apples & goat cheese toast. Still thinking about those apples 2 weeks later. Ordered the crab pasta which also came with a very satisfying amount of crab, and the pasta cooked to a very melo, calm and mindful level of al-dente. Coffee is also very nicely priced for such a fine establishment!
Lok N — Google review
Immaculate service, presentation and taste across the board. I started off shopping on the market side, pleasantly surprised by the quality of brands and selection available. I’d set an initial budget in mind and completely let it go after seeing what they had in stock. I had been searching for this specific tinned octopus and they had it!! I was elated and will likely be back for a second tin lol. Anyways- I wrapped up shopping just as dinner service started and it was spectacular through & through. Nick was a standout, crafting expertly thought-out & thoughtful drinks throughout the evening, truly a gem of an individual (and the biscuits market side are his recipe!! give them a try!!!! 10/10). Each Server, Chef, Bartender, etc that I had the pleasure of coming in contact with was just lovely and attentive. Chef Jacob & Amir were both incredibly welcoming and friendly and full of knowledgeable insight- you cannot go wrong coming here! Will be back again & again until they tire of me and/or I clear out all of their stock lol

We walked in and put our name down, they quoted us 30-40 minutes but it wound up being over an hour…we would have just gone somewhere else if I knew it would take so long. Food overall very good, some inventive and thoughtful flavor combinations. The octopus ceviche is fantastic. Some minor quibbles…the crackers with the avocado hummus could be lighter, these were quite hard. Steak salad seemed to be a riff on a Vietnamese steak salad, in that case the seasoning could have been ramped up just a little, a touch more acid, salt, and heat. But overall the quality of products is apparent and it’s an impressive operation with the retail, to-go, and bakery side all in one room.

During a weekday afternoon lunch visit to this place, I noticed they offer parking validation, and it's quite an interesting combination with a restaurant, part grocery store, and more. However, I was a bit startled when the lunch bill came to $120 per person, even though it did include two glasses of wine. Especially since my main dish was just a salad. We sampled the liver mousse, the chicken salad, and the crab saffron pasta. The mousse and pasta were delicious, but unfortunately, the chicken salad was a total letdown. It had a clean flavor, but it was horribly bland. Overall, it's a good spot with great service and a nice atmosphere, but for the price, every dish should be outstanding.

We just had the best experience in the world with Amer at Farm Shop! We were desperate for peanut butter cookies for a VIP client! We literally went everywhere around town…cookie good, huckleberry, Milo and olive, tartine and no cookies! Finally we find our savior Amer who baked the cookies from scratch for us! Now that’s unbelievable service and hospitality! Legendary! 10 stars!
Melissa A — Google review
We went on a Friday night and the place was almost empty. It might have been because the LA Dodgers were playing that night, but could it also be the prices? Entrees without sides are around $40 and portions are not big. Is it reasonable to spend $100 per person for an average meal in an empty restaurant where the staff seem keen to close up because there are so few customers? It seems like a downward spiral many restaurants are part of. They raise prices, restaurants empty out, the attraction of going out diminishes etc. Soon they will have to close altogether. I read a stat today that Americans ate 1 billion fewer meals at restaurants in the first quarter this year than they did a year ago. They call it “menu price fatigue.” Why not instead make prices reasonable and have full restaurants that are fun to go to? It’s not just Farmshop, it’s happening everywhere. Such a shame.

Asian restaurant
Bonchon San Gabriel is a popular Korean fried chicken chain known for its crispy and flavorful dishes. Despite being busy, the service is prompt and attentive. The medium combo offers a variety of wings and drums with soy garlic and spicy flavors. Sides like zucchini fries and bulgogi tacos are also delicious. The portions are generous, but some find the food a bit salty at times. The staff is friendly, but parking can be challenging due to the restaurant's popularity.
I had BonChon many times in Thailand but this is the first time in USA and everything was different. This place has a local and cozy vibe. The server was very friendly and the food was more well-rounded than just fried chickens. The fried chicken was nice still, and worth ordering. The coating was thin and flaky. Inside was very juicy. I went when they had $1 wings promotion and I think it's still ongoing. This promotion made it really worth it. The pickled radish goes better than the coleslaw as a side to me. The bibimbap was very good too and it’s priced by which protein you pick. The Korean corn and corn dog didn’t stand out to me, but I think the food overall still deserve 5 stars.
Fang P — Google review
Loved the wings! I came during their $1 wing special in July. I tried the spicy BBQ, spy garlic, yangnyeom, and regular flavored wings. They were all good. I liked the Korean BBQ the most (very sweet and savory) and the plain one the least. They have beer on tap for decent prices, too. Customer service was good considering the place was packed. There's parking but the lot was packed. Most of the customers were from this restaurant too. I ended up parking on the street to save time.
K — Google review
The crispy wings and seasoned fries are customer favorites!! These wings are double fried and their signature sauces are brushed on. It’s crunchy, sweet, spicy, salty and tangy! I couldn’t resist trying one of their new menu items: bulgogi Tteokbokki. The best of both worlds! So savory! The perfect chewy bite!! Don’t miss out on their Korean corn dog, pork belly bao buns, and crispy, spicy chicken sandwich!!
Michele L — Google review
We recently stopped by Bonchon in San Gabriel and ordered a generous batch of 30 wings, and let me just say… this place delivers on crunch. The wings were perfectly crispy and crunchy, just the way Korean fried chicken should be with a crust-like finish, and came in three delicious flavors: the iconic Soy Garlic, the sweet and smoky Korean BBQ, and a third flavor yangyeom that rounded things out beautifully. Each bite had that satisfying texture that Bonchon is known for, with flavors that hit all the right notes. To wash it down, we had two Angry Orchard ciders on draft—crisp, refreshing, and a perfect pairing to the spicy-savory wings. Overall, this visit was a hit, and I’d confidently give Bonchon San Gabriel a 7 out of 7 wings. Also worth noting: they seem to run monthly promotions, so it’s a good idea to check in regularly for deals or new items.
Bensen T — Google review
Dropped by Bonchon in San Gabriel with my brother for a late dinner, and it definitely hit the spot. We started with the bulgogi fries—perfect portion to share, and the sauce was on point. Only thing we wished for was a little more bulgogi on top. For the main event, we ordered the medium combo (8 wings and 4 drumsticks) with soy garlic and spicy flavors. Both were insanely good. You could tell they took the time to hand-brush the sauce on each piece—the chicken was fully coated, super crispy, and addicting. Every bite had us going back for more. We added pickled radish on the side, which was a smart move—it helped refresh our palate between the two bold flavors. For drinks, we tried the Terra beer from Korea, and it paired perfectly with the fried chicken. One last thing worth mentioning—they squeezed us in 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday night. Total MVPs for that. Honestly, one of the best spots for fried chicken in the SGV. We’ll definitely be back.
Jimmy S — Google review
Came by the other day with some coworkers after seeing they had a $1 wing special (dine-in only). Bonchon is known for their Korean Fried Chicken, and they definitely deliver on that crispy goodness. I went with the Yangnyeom and Soy Garlic sauces—both packed with flavor and hit the spot. For a buck each? That’s a steal. I also tried their chicken sandwich with fries and was pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was juicy and flavorful—not dry at all. They’ve got happy hour drink deals too, which is a nice bonus. The shop is on the smaller side, so there might be a wait depending on when you go. But overall, when I’m craving KFC in the SGV, this spot is high on the list.

The food is so delicious here!! The fries were crunchy, the meat sweet and flavorful, and the sauce was good! The tacos are delicious too especially the spicy ones. At the end we had a donut for dessert and it was warm and sweet. Perfect to end our dinner. Our waiter was very amiable and attentive. He gave us suggestions and was very nice! Chicken restaurant
American restaurant
ROCKBIRD is a small counter-serve eatery in Glendale, run by the same family behind the well-established Lebanese restaurant Skafs. The menu features a variety of grilled and fried chicken sandwiches along with an assortment of sides. There are seven different fried chicken sandwiches on offer, each bringing its own unique blend of heat and flavor. The common denominator among them is the juicy breaded chicken breast that forms the foundation of each sandwich.
Best chicken sandwiches around hands down. Not only are they huge but the flavors are amazing with every ingredient they use. Popeyes doesn't have anything on this place. Definitely will be adding this restaurant to our monthly diet.
Christian O — Google review
Take all your classic burger flavors (Western, Spicy etc) but instead of a beef patty, you have a hunk of fried chicken breast! That’s the menu at Rockbird. I had the tenders w their BBQ sauce and also the tangy slaw and house seasoned fries. Everything was good! The chicken tenders were three BIG pieces, all juicy and not at all dry. Perhaps a bit too salty but that’s just me. I’d have to split a sandwich bc these are likely to be massive judging by the tenders. While there is only a counter inside, they set up four picnic tables w umbrellas outside off the sidewalk for more seating. Definitely recommend.

Fried Nitro Bird Sandwich with Mac & cheese, 3 strips with Chipotle & Garlic aoli & Cheese fries & Dr pepper to wash it all down. The burger was so delicious! They have a nice chunky piece of meat, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Good flavor with the sauce and other stuff they add inside. Mac and cheese was cooked well and had good texture just wish it was a little bit more salty. The strips were delicious too, cook really nice crispy on the outside juicy inside and the chipotle sauce was really good. The garlic aioli was okay, not a huge fan. I wasn't able to eat there but I know if I did it would have tasted that much better because it was cold by the time I got to eat it. Cute little place in a small Plaza with some parking, you can also park on the street. They do have some seating available outside

Solid chicken sandwich and quick service! We tried the Baja with a side of pickles and ranch and were very impressed by the overall flavor and quality! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

What a hidden gem in Glendale! Rockbird is snuggled in a small plaza not too far from the Americana with limited lot parking, but plenty of street parking. The interior has a few seats is very clean, but they've also set up plenty of outdoor seating on the sidewalk. I came here with my girlfriend and got the fried honey bird sandwich with fries while she got the fried wok sandwich with Brussels sprouts. While the sandwich is definitely on the pricier side, it's definitely worth it, considering how large and delicious the sandwich is. The wok sandwich was seasoned perfectly, but I wish the honey sandwich came with more sauce since it was a little bland. The Brussels sprouts were roasted to perfection and the fries had a unique seasoning that tasted so familiar, but I couldn't pinpoint. Overall, we really enjoyed our food and hopefully we'll be back again soon!

Super yummy chicken sandwiches 💯🔥 The spice level is very balanced against the flavor palette. I recommend the Chipotle chicken as well as the Spicy Chicken sandwich. Staff was very courteous, attentive, and friendly. Definitely recommend 👌🏽

Delicious grilled chicken. It's seasoned well and served juicy. For two people you'd probably want a whole bird which comes with 2 sides, and a junior order of one more side. The garlic potatoes and cauliflower were both favorites.

Creative and Delicious!! Grilled Cornish Game Hans, so juicy and tender. Order two pieces without knowing it is two half bird, absolutely stuffed myself during lunch. The bird is the start however the side dishes are equally delicious. Refresh Cali-slaw got my two thumbs up.

CHIMAC STAR is a Korean restaurant that specializes in serving delicious fried chicken and beer, known as "chimaek." The menu features unique dishes like honey butter snow wings, which are fried chicken coated with a powder made from honey butter. The restaurant also offers spicy rice cakes, fries, Jeyook Spicy Pork, and Spicy Seasnail Salad with Chewy Noodles.
Absolutely fantastic flavors. Very crunchy and juicy chicken. Seafood pancake was excellent and was very large. Highly recommend this place for a nice chill dinner. It’s a bit of an older style place for younger people to hang out it seems. But great service and great food.

This is the only fried chicken place I frequent the most and recommend to everyone looking to try Korean fried chicken spot! All the items have such great flavors, with the chicken fried to a satisfying crunch! I’ve ordered to go and they do not the disappoint either! The order is always ready on time and freshly made!!! My favorite are the snow honey butter fried chicken, loaded fries with bulgogi or kimchi and the tuna mayo rice balls!

Great spot for some KFC (Korean fried chicken). Inside is cool. Plenty of seating with booths and tables. Cool neon signs. The chicken is delicious. Sides are pretty good too. They serve beer and soju. Service is good. Friendly staff. There's street meter parking or a small lot beneath the shopping center. FYI they charge for to-go containers.
Jeff C — Google review
I don’t know why this place doesn’t receive as much love as other K-town KFC spots. I think it’s some of the juiciest, biggest portions I’ve had. 양념 is spot on. They have so much seating space. PLUS, they have a parking garage. Maybe cause it’s a little on the border of K-town? In any case, give this place a shot!!
Paul Y — Google review
This was probably the best Korean Fried Chicken I've ever tasted! It was so juicy and tender, the flavor was amazing and the Rice cakes?! Oof! I love it! There was a very kind lady who was working there too who usually checked up on us and others who were around (hardly any people, it was just us and two other groups I believe) but she was sweet and she'd come rather quick when we called for customer service, anyways, I will definitely come back here.
Motionlessinbrides — Google review
Wonder why this place is usually empty. Generally, I find it pretty nice, the atmosphere, the decorations, the food is OK. Perhaps it is because of the location? Or the prices? It's a bit overpriced, but not too far from other korean restaurants that close late. There iqs another Korean restaurant not too far that got pretty busy lately as they started promoting through social media, with influencers, so perhaps that's what it needs. Also, it needs to serve korean Soju cocktails, not just soju, where one can simply buy it cheaper at the liquor store
Juan B — Google review
Came for some Korean Fried Chicken, left extremely disappointed. I paid for an 8 piece bone in. Usually in the US, that means legs and wings. This place literally wrapped up random pieces of chicken bone with some meat on it, deep fried it, and handed it to me. Believe it or not, those counted towards my 8 pieces. The restaurant also has that "old building" smell, which isn't great.
Anthony A — Google review
Upon entrance the place smelled bad. At dinner time around 7 to 8 it's empty with no customers. Being the only cuatomer we had waited almost half an hour for some chicken wings, and they tasted very mediocore, there's way better korean fried chickens out there.
