I was told this was the best Mexican restaurant in LA and boy did it meet my expectations. I started with the stole. It was delicious and sweet. I tried the grasshoppers? Was really spicy but a great snack. I had the mole Rojo my mom had a tlayuda. The mole was amazing. You can taste hard work put into making it. All in all this place is amazing. Will come back one day during the evening for the live music.

They had a live band the night we had dinner here. Second time I’ve been here, and still no flaws that I’ve seen. We made a reservation for three at 7:30pm, we were sat right away. The mole was delicious, the service was fast and the staff had great energy. Definitely will visit when we’re back in LA

Fun cheerful colorful place. I liked the ambiance more than I liked the food. But the food was interesting. ... unfortunately the only mole was on the chips, which were good 👍 5/5. Great place tho for drinks and meetups with friends...big parties easily accomplated...theres a big stage for live music....an extensive bar area. This place was made for fun...there's also a livelyal fresco dining area but it was closed to diners on a weekday afternoon. Lots of selfie opportunities and lots of lovely artwork and wall murals. Very festive. I'd love to come back and try other items on the menu. I enjoyed my chile relleno two ways, cheese and chicken 4/5 but the white rice 2/5 was too salty, tho i realize salt content is subjective... my companion got the tamale, which was enormous but no mole except dribbled on the husk....and he found it kinda mushy. Still the atmosphere was so pleasant, we will be back.

Went for a birthday dinner and loved that they had live music. They were able to accommodate our group of 10. Overall, food was good and good ambiance.

We decided to throw a surprise birthday dinner for our dear friend at Guelaguetza, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was absolutely beautiful. Valet parking welcomed us with a big smile and warm energy, instantly setting the tone for the night. At the front door, Violetta greeted us with genuine joy and walked us to our table while sharing a little bit of the rich history behind the restaurant—which made us feel even more connected to the space. Our server, Jose, was phenomenal. He patiently explained the ingredients in each dish, highlighted house specialties, and made sure every question was answered with care. His passion for the food and the culture behind it truly elevated our meal. To top it all off, they surprised our friend with a tres leches birthday cake, which made the moment unforgettable. It was the perfect touch of sweetness and celebration. Thank you to the entire Guelaguetza team for making this birthday dinner so special. We’ll definitely be back!

Great authentic restaurant with delicious food. Everything about it is great. The food made is always delicious. I've tried the flautas and enchiladas de Chipotle. They have great natural drinks, guayava (guava) water. Price is reasonable as plates are filling. Service is great. I'll definitely come here again.

I ordered the enchiladas Gratinadas with chicken and they were excellent! The verde sauce over the top wasn't spicy yet it was flavorful. The shredded chicken was tender and had some great seasoning. These were a nice flavorful dish. The white rice served on the side was nothing special as the enchiladas were the star of the show.

Stopped by La Casita Mexicana today for lunch with my friend and tried the chicken enchiladas — and wow, they did not disappoint. The flavors were rich and layered, with just the right balance of spice and comfort. The chicken was tender, the sauce was full of depth, and every bite tasted like it was made with pride.

First time here and we loved it. Everything from the food to the service, to the best margaritas we have had in ages was in a battle for what we were trying to judge as the highlight of the visit. Throw in a festive and lively atmosphere and a beautiful patio and you have a can’t miss restaurant. All the attention is well deserved and we’ll definitely be back.

Girlfriend and I started off with drinks. Very well balanced between the alcohol and the sweetness. Then we started with queso fundido con hierbas. To be honest I thought there wasn’t enough herbs present in the dish. The herbs were very sporadic and I would not get a strong herb flavor with every bite, I would get a strong herb flavor every once in a while. So just very inconsistent and not as much flavor as I would’ve liked, but that’s a personal preference after a certain point. Then we got our main dishes and all I gotta say is yes! Both of our dishes were excellent? Flavors in point! Good portions! Honestly, I felt like my was had healed a little bit with this experience. It was all so wholesome and just very welcoming and very delicious food!

Second time here and everything is still as charming and delicious. They have nailed something with the decor and taste that puts you in a comfort zone immediately. I can't put my finger on if it's the wicker partitions or the green decor or skylights which transport you out of arts district into somewhere far yet not foreign. I really appreciate the concise menu. The chef did an incredible job taming diverse flavors into a harmonious meal. The brilliant idea of serving the sharable mains as tacos turned it into an instant family-style dinner..we ordered a few of the small plates and two main plates and walked out full. Do save room for dessert . The cocktails are delicious.

Had some great food at Damian! We came on a Friday night and the atmosphere was lively but still comfortable. I wouldn’t say it blew me out of the water the way Bestia does, but it’s definitely a solid upscale Mexican spot with high-quality ingredients and creative dishes. The service was friendly and attentive, and everything we ordered was well-executed. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re looking for modern Mexican cuisine in a cool setting.

I want them to get a Michelin star but the selfish fan in me wants to keep this place a secret. I’m not into paying $200 plus for a meal but when I tell you everything was it to die for! I want to go back and order everything that I didn’t get to try. Carrot Aguachile 12/10 (my tastebuds were blown away, flawless dish) Guacamole 8.5/10 ( they had a bed of fresh herbs on top of this fresh guac… I’ve never had mint with guacamole but it was delightful) Tuna Tostada 10/10 ( that ant mayo and those tomatoes melted in my mouth… pause) Branzino 10/10 ( this feeds two people and even the plating is minimalistic, don’t be confused… it’s amazing)

Everything here is beautiful. Food and interior! Got ceviche and aguachile to start. BOTH so delicious and refreshing. The huarache was surprisingly good (fried artichokes) and we ordered multiple rounds of the tomal de ricotta. Ended the meal with the bran imo which was so crispy and so moist. Amazing (but pricey) meal.

This is a stunning Mexican restaurant that I’d highly recommend for a birthday dinner or special occasion. At first, I accidentally walked into the restaurant across the street, Bestia, but once I stepped into the right place, I was immediately struck by its nature-inspired, cozy atmosphere. The rich green-themed decor created a warm and inviting vibe. Though the menu was small, it was full of depth, and with a sommelier’s wine recommendation, we had an unforgettable meal. At our server’s suggestion, we ordered three appetizers and one main dish to share—and it turned into a magical, almost fine-dining-like experience that lasted about three hours. I probably had more tortillas than I realized, because the next day my stomach definitely felt full! One small thing to note is that the tables are a bit close together, so space can feel a little tight. Still, it’s an easy place to recommend—absolutely worth a visit! Reservations are a must!

Went to dinner to have a quiet intimate private conversation and was sat at tables that were so close it made private conversation impossible. Do not go if you need intimate movements. I was sitting closer to other guests that my partner Also they cleared our plates before we we finished! And the bathroom was out of paper towels, just felt not worth the $250+ price tag ,

Came across this place on the Michelin app and decided to stop by for lunch. I was absolutely blown away. This is one of those places where you can’t help but want to try everything. So much so that you order a plate to-go for lunch the next day! Service was excellent too. There was a misunderstanding about one of the dishes I ordered and they did not hesitate to fix it. I’m from out of town but hope to be back sooner than later.

Cozy Mexican restaurant! They are known for their mole so I had to try it! Mole Manchamanteles: (spicy mole) ordered the make your own mole plate with chicken breast! Large portion that comes with rice, vegetables and corn tortillas. Perfect spice level. Not make your nose run but definitely noticeable :) the rice is perfectly moist. Really enjoyed this dish. Agua Fresca Hibiscus: not too sweet. Very refreshing! Great service! There are about 6 tables inside and some outdoor seating tables. Also just about 5 parking spaces behind the building.

Food was delicious! They are known for their moles and it didnt disappoint. Their cafe de olla was also delicious. I will definitely come back/ recommend.

Loved the chilaquiles de mole Oaxaqueño here. They have 4 different kinds of Mole. Will come back to try the other moles. You'll get chips with the different moles before you order to help you decide which one to pick. Great service as well. Enjoy.

I started sifting thru the Michelin website and saw that this hole in the wall was actually flagged for it's amazing food, and saying 'yeah right?' I decided to see for myself. And wow!!! Food is truly a master class of work, I don't like mole, but I'll admit their sauces does burst with crazy rich flavor. If there are any negatives, the food might take a while - and it's pricey - and maybe the portion size isn't as big as other Spanish restaurants, there isn't much seating also- we sat outside - and honestly, it's a very humble location, but what it lacks in decor - it more than makes up in food presentation, highly recommend

A small restaurant of 24 seats, their mole was aromatic and rich, with beautifully cooked proteins and generous portions. Despite placing a to-go order, the friendly cashier brought us crispy tortilla chips covered in their mole and other sauces while we waited, The outside branding is a bit confusing, because I didn't see the name Rocio's anywhere on the outside, but you're at the right place.

This place offers valet parking, but we found free street parking about a block away. To access the restaurant, you’ll need to head up a set of stairs. We had a few drinks and shared the guacamole dip. While the appetizer was fresh and the chips had a unique, tasty twist, the portion size didn’t quite match the price. Surprisingly, it was pretty slow for a Saturday. Overall, I’d definitely give it another try, especially since the breakfast options looked delicious.

The atmosphere was the highlight. The space is beautiful, and the vibe is great, definitely a cool spot if you’re looking for a chill restaurant. Our server was super nice and made the experience better. That said, the food was just okay for me. Nothing terrible, but nothing that really stood out either. Pretty average overall. I think I’d come back more for the ambiance than the food itself.

I stumbled upon La Cha Cha Cha in the Arts District and was so pleasantly surprised — what an incredible experience! The vibes were absolutely vibing — the space is full of lush greenery and has such a relaxed, welcoming energy. I loved that they even provide blankets if you get chilly (such a thoughtful touch!). Our servers, Juan and Oliver, were incredibly sweet and attentive — they made us feel right at home. And the food? Delicious. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented, and the portions were large, which makes this an awesome spot to share plates with friends or a group. All in all, this place totally exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to go back!

Decided to venture downtown for dinner with friends this past week after hearing good things about La Cha Cha Cha, especially its outdoor atmosphere. We booked for 7:30 PM on a Saturday. When we arrived, we weren’t seated right away because our entire party wasn’t there yet (even though most of us had arrived). At first, we were placed away from the main outdoor space, which felt quiet and a bit underwhelming. Luckily, we convinced the host to move us to the main outdoor area — much livelier, and honestly the main reason we chose this spot. Overall, the food and drinks were solid. Most dishes weren’t overly spicy, so they worked well for everyone. The cocktails were enjoyable, but I’d skip the Mexican Martini — interesting concept, but it didn’t quite land. They also had limited juice options (only pineapple and cranberry). Our server was friendly, but I wish he had written down our order instead of trying to memorize it — one of our mains was served incorrectly. The menu is best enjoyed tapas-style, with small and large plates to share. Expect to spend around $100 per person if you’re sharing dishes and having a couple of cocktails. Parking can be tricky if you’re hoping for free street parking, but valet and nearby lots are available. We ended up having a good time, and I’d recommend this spot for a sunset catch-up with friends over drinks. Just note: it gets chilly in the evenings, so bring an extra layer. Enjoy!

Took ma lady (and myself) out to a lunch meal here. The weather was quite brisk so we asked to be seated inside which they accommodated. We had a rezzzz for the exterior patio, which is the best part of the restaurant, as there isn't much going on via decor in the interior. Food was pretty good. I can't say I was blown away but it was tasty. The best part of the meal was the tostadas and salsas. I couldn't stop eating them. They have chilaquilles on the menu, which I unfortunately skipped on, but would return just to try them out as they looked good and if the salsas are an indicator, then the sheelas must be banging. Price point is a bit high but when in the arts district, it is what is expected. Cocktails were okay and the staff was nice enough. The recommended tip amounts on the bill include the tax, which doesn't sit well with me. I might return one day. We had the enfrijolada, the fish, and a cocktail.

Had the opportunity to try this place during Dine LA, and it is definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. 4 course meal for only $45, and we had to get to go boxes since we were too full. Everything was made to perfection with so many unique flavors and textures. The atmosphere is so nice with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating on a rooftop. Immaculate service and great vibes, definitely worth checking out.

We visited this place on Sunday we arrive 15 minutes after opening no people waiting valet parking is $20 we went around the corner to find a free spot a great place to celebrate or just have a good time they didn't have any brunch or breakfast items however the food was delicious the portions are not as small as expected as a matter of fact there were plentiful located in upscale Arts District our servers were Alex and Eduardo both of them extremely friendly this place is best at night for the views it's a rooftop place it could be considered pricey but what else is new? We had a great time and that's what it's all about

Ita a quaint place. The place is not big but not small. Came here for the first time on taco Tuesday. Absolutely loved it. The food is great. Servers are friendly. Each meat was very flavorful. I dared myself to try to chicharon taco. It was so good. The price is also very reasonable.

The moment you step in, you're enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like a big hug. The service is top-notch - our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made fantastic recommendations. But the real star of the show is the food. Every dish we ordered was creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. We loved the unique cocktails and extensive wine list too. If you're looking for a spot that's a little off the beaten path but still in the heart of LA, Madre is a must-visit.

The food is definitely authentic, and i could not get enough of their handmade tortillas and sauces. The music and atmosphere blended in so well with the spot. The wait was a bit long, but overall, it was a good experience and will probably be one of my favorite go-to Mexican restaurants in West Hollywood.

This restaurant is incredible! The server Jose was incredibly attentive and friendly and gave us recommendations since it was our first time. Even my picky eater nephew ate all of his food. Jose also gave my mom a complementary sample serving of their cafe de olla and it was delicious! Next time we are in LA we are definitely coming back!

The apps/lunch were delicious. Great flavor, well cooked. The homemade tortillas were great. Dessert is not their strong point. Ticket times were long, despite being mostly empty. Service was great. I didn't drink but there were one million mezcal options. I bet they are really good.

PSA ya’ll…. Madre’s happy hour now goes Monday—Fri 3–7! This is my favorite happy hour in LA, and I’m only sharing it so freely because it blows my mind more people don’t seem to know! Madres has ambiance for days, amazing Oaxacan food, and the happy hour deals are unreal. Everything they do they do at the top of their game…tortillas, salsa and chips are homemade…the best margs and mezcal around…the moles are balanced…even the water for the table is cucumber water lol. You could never go wrong with the taquitos, mole negro enchiladas, homemade chips and salsa, and Madre’s enchiladas. Only thing I didn’t love, for feedback purposes, was the Rajas con Queso Taco. Flavor and texture were a miss for me.

I love this place. I am from Mexico and this place is just perfect, same quality of a good good restaurant in Oaxaca. The hand made Tortillas are the best in Los Angeles, loved the mole, I had the chile relleno, and it was an amazing vegetarian option for me. Service was so warm and friendly. I want to take all my friends to this place so Definitely I will be back!

Nice seafood! Favorite is ceviches and lobster. and juice are really good! We ordered second round. But the corn x crab dish is little bit too simple 😭 ( I forgot this dish’s name)

This place has just about everything going for it. It's super cool looking and charming. Service is excellent, and pacing was impressive. And the food... so good! Creative, beautiful and delicious! Great wine list, drinks are creative but could be more spirit-forward. The one negative is the parking. Limited and difficult street parking in a mostly residential neighborhood, it's still better than paying $15 for valet (ridiculous). But, it's a great dine!

My vegetarian son and I were going to LA on holiday. I asked him what kind of food we should try and he said “Mexican” of course. I searched around and found Loreto which has a vegetarian menu option. The room is spacious and very comfortable. The service was attentive and friendly. The cocktails and mocktails tasty. But the food was the highlight. We tried 5 different vegetarian dishes and all were just amazing. My favourites were the Brocheta de Hongo (mushroom) and Papaya ceviche. Our server recommended we try the Bowl Thing for dessert and we were so happy we followed his advice - a perfect end to our dinner.

Soft shell crab taco and Melon the dessert were big surprise. Everything elese is average. Oyster and Branzino are below average. Loreto Sour was fine but overpriced. Overall, I may come back for taco only.

Such an amazing experience. Not only did I love the interior décor but the outdoor seating was fabulous surrounded by park-like plants. But what really hit the mark was the food: seafood dominated and highly creative composition of presentations and flavors. My preference the cold crudos, aguachiles, ceviches and tostadas. But everything superbly delicious. Aguachile Negro, Magdalena, Tostada Culichi, Contra Corriente, Atun Picante, and to round up at the end theak Carajillo (chocolate, toffee and pecan ice cream dessert) … 2 small additional comments: (a) after promptly serving fish eggs despite having declared them as an allergy of one party member, they generously canceled that item from the bill. This is a great spot for a seafood forward Mexican meal with an absolutely stunning patio. We got a few dishes but the standouts are the scallop tostada (culichi tostada) and the branzino zarandeados. The branzino comes with beans, rice, avocado, tortillas, quesadillas, onions and salsas. We loved making our own tortilla with the quesadillas that it came with. Make sure you leave room for the iconic LA churros!!

Don't rush past this magnificent establishment. This is where you can try quality Mexican cuisine. My tacos were brought to me in two minutes. So if you, like me, value your time and want to quickly grab a bite of delicious quality food, then this is the place for you. And there's a beautiful patio on the back side. Enjoy.

Amazing food. All truly authentic Mexican food. Try the toreados tacos - all spice - and amazing. Great vegetarian and vegan options. Great outdoor seating as well. If going to a dodgers game - go to Guisados.

As a long time Sonoratown fan, and a lover of flour tortillas, I never thought I would come across another taco joint I would like as much. But these corn tortillas are incredible. And every single taco I had had amazing flavor. I got the fish, shrimp, braised beef, and chorizo. I highly recommend the fish and the chorizo. Also the melon drink was really good. And it’s all super affordable.

Small spot easy to miss. But the tacos were delicious and agua fresca was bomb. My pics don't do them justice. Handmade tortillas. I got quesadilla con chorizo and bistek with salsa roja.

I really love this location. It’s got that easy, relaxed energy. Spacious, open, and somehow always smelling like something good’s about to happen. The service is consistently excellent, too!! Everyone’s friendly in a way that feels genuine. Parking, though… that’s a sport. Especially on weekends. But if you’ve been in LA long enough to parallel park in impossible spaces while pretending you’re calm, you’ll survive. Now, the tacos. All of them? Great. Like, actually GREAT. They’re rich, flavorful, and unapologetically messy. The chicharrones taco wasn’t my favorite. Texturally, it’s a lot and doing the most. But that’s personal preference, not a reflection of the kitchen.

Cool taco joint, every taco I had was amazing quick in and out no frills and I had the horchata which is pretty darn good. There's a few parking spots there typically street parking great inexpensive place to spend with friends

Wonderful historic restaurant. Love that the plates have the year in which they were introduced. The wait staff was super friendly and accommodating. Their homemade flour tortillas are delicious. The carnitas burritos got thumbs up. The only thing that didn't get a thumbs up were the corn tortillas.

I loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious as well. Most of their plate size is enough for one person. The service and Ambience were nice very aesthetic.

First time coming by this Sunday, we walked in. There was not a lot of people. It was too quiet,our food was okay. I'm not good enough to come back, did not taste a 100%. Mexican authentic, the presentation was good, but the taste just wasn't there. Too many other, it's great places in the area to even think about coming back to this one.

Lively. Fun. Friendly. And the food is delicious too! Now, I understand why this restaurant is so popular. Everyone was ready to PARTAY! On a side note, I wish I had gone easy on the chips and salsa. I ate too many and was full before the food came out!

So sad to see an iconic restaurant go downhill.... we ordered the chichen enchiladas, and the chicken was so dry, the carne asada quesadillas were super greasy, and the steak tasted gamey. The margaritas were overpowered by the mixer, at $16.00 per drink, we were expecting better drinks. The patio area was great and our server was nice even mentioned to give us a different dish but it was already too late. Maybe it was a slow day and the food was just sitting, unfortunately the food is not fresh.

Middle of the Road Tex-Mex. Food was good, very greasy, exactly what you expect, nothing remarkable from it. Feels like a watered Don Cuco but still hit the spot in a pinch. Definitely suffering from “big chain restaurant” syndrome but waiters were nice and kept my chips and water filled the whole time.

I’ve eaten here three to four times and the food is excellent along with great customer service. Be careful with the chips and salsa because it’s so good that you might get too full before you get your order. I love their chili relleno, seafood dishes and the bar has a great selection of adult beverages. ***update*** I tried their fish taco plate, chicken tortilla soup & coconut margarita. The fish taco plate(I’m used to crispy fried fish rather than baked)was alright but I think the chips and salsa was the best as always. The chicken tortilla soup was also very delicious and the coconut margarita was pretty good. Parking is limited and usually paid so be aware.

3,5 / 5 - Staff was super friendly, nice atmosphere, but the food we ordered didn’t impress. We got the Mushroom Birria, the stew was flavorful but the mushroom felt like it had been cooking for too long in it and lost its flavor. The pita bread was top notch, though. We also got the shrimp. It was pretty good, but not amazing. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes. On the other hand, the drink we got was pretty great. There’s an 18% required fee that is supposed to go towards the workers but that’s on top of tax and tip, so the total came out pretty high for the food we had. I admire the attempt but that might not be the best way to go.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The staff was super friendly. I asked them about portion sizes and any dishes they'd recommend. My favorite was the puffy shell shrimp taco.

Consistently a good food experience! Great vegetarian options that are interesting and fun compared to most sit-down LA Mexican restaurants. You can tell the chef put thought into the vegan and vegetarian options.

Nice place with some decent food, but nothing mind blowing. Considering the price paid, I've had better at food trucks and hole in the wall type of places. But it's a great place to bring people who are squeamish about eating at restaurants that might be far below their paygrade.

The place is fine, nothing stood out though. Looks nice, but generic. Service was friendly, but slow. Also, usually when I get a flight of alcohol, its described at least a little bit. Food was priced well.

A few months ago the Food 52 cookbook club on Facebook (around 35,000 members) cooked from the Bar Amá cookbook and everyone fell in love with Tex-Mex, Josef Centeno's family stories, the absolutely excellent recipes, and the alcohol section too. When I finally decided to fly after months and months of being at home during the pandemic, I came to see my daughter in Los Angeles and had literally only one food wish - to go to Bar Amá. I wasn't disappointed. They have the alley open for outdoor dining, our server was fantastic and she seemed to enjoy all my cookbook stories 😂, I mean, if she didn't, she hid it well lol! Everything we had was excellent, see the photos. If you haven't yet been you should go and don't forget the B side of the menu the blistered okra was stellar and so was the za'atar labneh & puffy bread. P.S. BUY THE COOKBOOK! I've made 40-50 of the recipes, they all are totally worth it!

First time here, plenty of paid/ metered parking, the did mess up part of our order but, very good menu, food is delicious and huge portions. Very fair prices, friendly staff, very clean restaurant, lots of options, tons of seating, inside and out. Highly recommend and have already gone back.

Lots of government workers means it's tasty value and not too slow. It also means ICE. I had a hankering for a baja fish taco, so I got that and their Mexicali pastor taco with a little pineapple and serve yourself toppings. The appealing tostada on crisp flour tortilla will have to wait for another time. I'll be back. Fruit infused water.

I absolutely loved the fish and chicken tacos! 10/10! The portions were generous and the fresh juices were a bonus. I enjoyed the flavors and would happily eat here again.

Their al pastor is best around. Lots of flavor and smokiness. Their carne asada is a bit chewy for my likeness. The chicken taco is definitely one of the best. As a Mexican what I always look for at a taco restaurant/taqueria is how good their salsas are. Definitely their two most spicy are really good and tasty.

Mexicali is great. The tacos are delicious, overflowing with flavorful meat and toppings and super cheap! I prefer the asada tacos - absolutely top-tier. They have an incredible salsa bar too.

This place is pretty good, but a bit too pricey for my taste. Food quality is decent, service is great, but it’s just a tiny bit high in terms of entry cost. Burrito left me feeling like I wanted more. However, the Zuperman (three meats and cheese between two harina tortillas) at $10.98 was pretty solid. All in all a good local choice but probably won’t be back all that frequently, despite being walking distance from my apt.

This food was good but not great. The food is like what you would get at a backyard quincinera which is good but not super flavorful or outstanding. I had the taquitos, Chile rellno, and barbacoa plate with chips and salsa. The portions are big which is a bonus. Keep in mind this place is CASH ONLY and they will make you go to the store next door to use their ATM no exceptions.

One word.. ADDICTIVE! The service, atmosphere, and food were excellent! We had mole, barbacoa, and empanadas, but the star of the show was the mole. I’m usually indifferent about mole, but this is the best I’ve had thus far! I definitely want to return in the future!

I came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was nicely decorated for the holidays, the server was very nice and despite them being cash only, they were able to accommodate my order. I ordered a torta de res, the breadcrumbs were crisp, there was avocado, and the onions were pickled. Delish!

We tried this place for the first time during Cilavia because it was featured on the website. Maybe because of this, it was chaotic to get a table since there was no clear signage for a wait-list and we got passed up by parties that came after us.The food was good and the portion is pretty big for the price though. Their tortilla was really soft n good, possibly handmade??? Will give it another go on a regular business day if we are around.

Wow. Run to this barbacoa. We ordered both the white and red Barbacoa. The red Barbacoa was similar to a consommé soup and delicious. The white Barbacoa is just flavored with a dry rub rather than the red soup the very similar, I would order the white if you just want more of a meat taste, but order the red is you want a more robust spicy flavor? We also ordered an appetizer - pizza-type thing, which was a base lay of beans topped with meat and cactus. Eh, I could have done without but it was a nice presentation.

While it may be slipping off listicles and year-end round-ups that need to infuse freshness and fad, it consistently makes some of the best Oaxacan food in the city and that will probably never change.

The food is good We went for dinner last night and the place is decent clean. They have a patio on the back For appetizers we ordered a side of molotes witch consists of a dough made from corn,that is filled with a mix of mashed potatoes and chorizo and then fried in lard or oil. 😋 Plus the barbacoa bowl was boom! There was only one waitress and she did her best to offer great service to everyone

Wow! The snook is out of this world delicious! It’s served with carmelized onions — succulent fish, sweet and earthy onions; this dish hits it out of the ball park. The cerviche pescado was fresh and tasty! Service was delightful. Great value. Excellent experience all the way around. A new favorite 🤗

After a great workout at the Culver City Stairs, I was seriously craving ceviche — and found Coni’Seafood on Google Maps. Let me tell you, this spot is a gem. I ordered the Aguachiles, Ceviche Marinero, and an agua de pepino — and after that hike, it hit just right. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. Now let’s talk about the salsa they bring out — super spicy, but so good. Our mouths were on fire, but we kept eating it. 😂 It really took everything to the next level. The Aguachiles were packed with flavor — bold, citrusy, spicy — exactly how they should be. The Ceviche Marinero was super refreshing and perfectly balanced. We tried ordering a michelada, but the server let us know they don’t serve liquor. Instead, he suggested a michelada with mineral water... and let me tell YOU — we were skeptical, but it was shockingly good. Like, “how is this this good without beer?” good. This place exceeded our expectations. Nos encantó — great service, amazing food, and the perfect post-hike reward. If you love mariscos and can handle some heat, you need to check out Coni’Seafood.

Wow! My mom was craving mariscos for her birthday lunch and I’m so glad I came upon Coni’s. Incredible mariscos, nothing like I have ever had and I have gone to many mariscos places. Can’t wait to be back!

This was formerly a M- star restaurant and it is no suprise why based on the food. The ambiance isn't anything to write home about and some of the seat cushions were ripped up. The server's explained the food really well and food came fast. Would definitely recommend this for a seafood lover and for someone who enjoys spicy food. I had a few dishes that I had never heard of like a drink made with condensed milk, coconut water and something else...it was good. The green sauce they serve with the chips is VERY spicy. Would definitely go again and try some different things.

Wow. This is some of the best seafood I’ve had EVER. And let me tell you - I love food. Everything was fresh, delicious, and nothing I’d ever tasted before. I’ve had ceviche in Costa Rica, Mexico and Peru, but this ceviche wasn’t in a style I’d had before. The shrimps were grilled with a rub that I I couldn’t stop licking off my fingers. The langostinos (not pictured) were baked in a sauce I was using like a curry (I’m Indian, after all). The marlin tacos tasted like shredded beef! The grilled snook, though it had bones, was well worth the effort. Literally everything was delicious and I can’t wait to go back.

This restaurant single-handedly made me contemplate moving to LA. Like look at this are you kidding. I could eat here every day. Enough said.

An absolutely outstanding experience, every time. Ceviche Project has some of the best food in LA and everyone we've brought there has agreed. Everything is delicious and beautifully presented. It's creative but accessible. Great wine list, too. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and takes time to chat when it's not too busy. A hidden gem that I can't recommend enough.

This is my favorite restaurant in all of LA. I never post reviews but I had to write one about this place. This is the best seafood I have ever eaten hands down - the combination of flavors that Octavio has thoughtfully curated is completely unique to anything I’ve experienced and will send you to a different dimension (try the king kanpachi tostada!) Not to mention Octavio is a great hang and makes you feel like an old friend. His kindness is matched only by his charm. This is the perfect restaurant, if I could give it a thousand stars I would.

A MUST for any seafood lover ! Perfect date night spot, unique flavor profiles and some of the best ceviche I’ve ever had ! They have a nice lot at the back with ample parking which is fantastic ! The place is small, if you’re seated outside it’s extremely loud due to the cars but once seated inside the ambiance transformed. Sam was serving all the tables and was very accommodating to us switching locations which was very nice. Now on to the food: fresh , clean seafood that really tastes top quality. We absolutely loved everything that we ate; the oysters on the half shell were great (a little on the chili side , less citrus - would have loved lemon personally but everyone else enjoyed them as is). All the dishes came with their tostadas that are the best tostadas I’ve had. The red snapper ceviche was delicious with nice chunks of fish and jicama. The kanpachi sashimi was so well seasoned with very finely chopped melon & radishes. The stone crab claw came already deconstructed which is a nice treat and they were so delicious with / without the accompanying chille sauce. The scallops were so delicious on their own as well (came garnished with pomegranate and fruit). 5/5 will come back for our seafood cravings 💕

Ummm… Yum!! Who doesn't love seafood!? Well, I actually know a lot of people who don't like seafood, but I encourage those to try ConiSeafood because it has so much flavor that it doesn't taste or seem like you're eating seafood. ConiSeafood is serving up Acaponeta, Nayarit-style seafood. Located in a small building in Inglewood, there offing a big menu full of goodness. From ceviche, fish dishes, shrimp dishes, soups and a few extras, you'll find something for your taste buds. They offer indoor seating and outdoor seating. The space is very cozy. It was busy when we arrived, and had to wait just 10mins. The hostess greeted us when we walked in and once seated, our waiter was very attentive. We got aguachiles and a shrimp plate. The aguachiles was good, but spicy. Just to warn you! The shrimp plate was delicious!

Coni’s Seafood in Inglewood absolutely deserves its Michelin Bib Gourmand! This is one of my favorite seafood restaurants in all of LA—my go-to spot whenever I’m nearby. I highly recommend trying: * Tostaditos – Marlin pâté tostada topped with shrimp and octopus ceviche. So much flavor! * Pescado Zarandeado – Grilled snook with house sauce, caramelized onions, and warm tortillas. Smoky, tender, and delicious. * Ceviche de Pescado – Super fresh fish marinated in lemon with cucumber, tomato, onion & green chile. Refreshing and bright. Pair it all with a lime margarita and a cold Modelo Negro and you’re set for an amazing meal. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect spot for a meal on a warm summer day. Went on a Sunday afternoon and the wait was ~30 min. The food was excellent and the portions were large. Ordered two dishes for two people and it definitely filled us up. I recommend getting the Aguachiles. And just a fair warning, the food we ordered was spicy! Definitely coming back to try other dishes.

The food is great! But the service is horrible! We waiting 45 minutes to get a table then another 45 mins to get our food. I know Saturdays are busy but the attitude the only male waiter they have was not great. Our bill was $250 which is fine for 4 adults but the customer service is horrible. There’s lots of good Restaurants with better service!!!

Michoacán was selected by Mexico as the principal cuisine to represent traditional cuisine - not Oaxaca or Puebla. The best food in Michoacán is made by cooks in Tierra Caliente which is a region of Michoacán. This restaurant features food in the Tierra Caliente style! Apatzingan is a town in Tierra Caliente. Today I had a Morisqueta and Huchepo Party! I came with a good friend and ordered the Morisqueta which is a bed of white rice with beans, chile and meat on top! It was amazingly the best Morisqueta I’ve had in a US restaurant! The huchepos were incredible too! These are also known as tamales de elote. In Michoacán we put cream and salsa on top of them. Their Jamaica is great! Huchepos are $8.49 Morisqueta is $14.99 They play great Mexican music of all types. The restaurant is pretty small so you may have to wait. The parking lot is small.

MY SPOT for menudo and pozole! AND! They serve it every day, unlike most restaurants! Oh! One thing. It's cash only! I also highly recommend the Chile rojo, and their asada tacos are perfect! 😋

And friendly staff made the reservation experience even better.. go check them out on Saturday morning. Para la cruda they have menudo and a whole bunch of dishes from Michoacán. It won’t disappoint.

I really love BIRRIERIA APATZINGAN bcuz they have the best MEXICAN BIRRIA from the San Fernando Valley, it has been my favorite place from years, it's very delicious and tasty, the tortillas are hand made, it's not spicy but you can added to your taste, that's the main dish they specialize but they have a great Menu of Mexican dishes, right now they have table service but the tables are very separate and also they have tables outside that's very good for this weather, the attendees are very nice, polite, friendly, they're great people to deal with, a friend introduced me to BIRRIERIA APATZINGAN and she said I know when we can't come together, you'll come on your own bcuz I know you'll like it and she wasn't wrong since then I visit them every time that I can, I recommend this place 100 % just bcuz they're the best 🍲🥗🥘🍴😘👌

I came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. The food and drinks were good, I have no complaints. But it didn't blow me away, and for the price we paid that is sort of what I expected. Meanwhile, the service was fantastic! Everyone was incredibly nice and accommodating. They provided complimentary glasses of champagne and a small dessert (we were celebrating my partner's birthday). The restaurant feels upscale. We sat in the garden, which is outdoors, and it was dark, but you are surrounded by dim lights and trees, so it definitely sets the mood. Overall, I had a great time and the only reason this place loses a star is because the food just didn't excite my palate for the price they're putting on it. I would go again, but I would try different items on the menu.

Stopped in here on a whim and was rewarded by serendipity. The atmosphere drew me in - a glittering hideaway with an entrance of fairy lights. I was traveling alone and looking for a pleasant place where I could eat at the bar (rather than a table for one), and the hostess was very welcoming as were the bartender and barback. The food was delicious, the wine was cold, the music was lovely and did I mention the twinkle lights? Overall, it felt like an oasis for me after a long day of travel and work.

Nice spot. First time here. The hostess up front were very personable. The bartenders were a hit and miss- Jordan was extremely welcoming. I was visiting from Philly and wanted to feel like my business counts. Shout out to Jordan who didn’t make my visit feel rushed. Enjoined the house music. Food was good 👍.

Oh my god, what a great restaurant. Probably best restaurant I've been to in a long time. The food was excellent - lots of vegetarian things, a nice change compared to most places in the US I've found, I had leek tacos which were actually so, so nice. And someone I was with said the steak was the best he'd had in a long time, it fell in bits. Service really good. The atmosphere was so cool as well. And if you stay in the hotel, you get 30 dollars off per night each!

The food and ambiance were 5-star. However, our server, Keisha, was a 1-star. She wasn’t very knowledgeable about the food, was forgetful, and seemed disorganized. We asked what kind of tortillas were used in the enchiladas, but she didn’t know and didn’t bother to find out for us. She also forgot about the allergy we mentioned, so it was hard to eat our first dish. She said there was nothing she could do about it—why didn’t she mention this when we ordered, instead of after the dish arrived? When she dropped off the check, we had our card ready, but she ignored us, disappeared for a bit, and walked around the restaurant helping everyone else. Then she came back and said, ‘Are you ready for me?’ We had the card out, ready to pay, before she even dropped the check and vanished!

My friends made a reservation for my birthday and it turned out to be an incredible experience! I’d absolutely go back. The waiter, Joshua, was so attentive and polite. It was my first time there and I loved the aesthetic. The drinks and food were exquisite, everything was truly worth it!

The decor is jarring and harsh, but the tamales are very good with many subtle flavors blending well with the masa, which is not overly heavy. The green pozole is fine, but certainly not among the best in town. A strong effort on the food here. With some tweaks, it could really be outstanding.

This is a cute little place with friendly service. Have visited twice and tried their barbacoa and fish tacos, so good! The red mole is a bit spicy but really good. For dessert we had the plantains drizzled with condensed milk, delicious!!

Going to give a shout out to this place @tamaleselenayantojitos the tamales flavor of the meat and the masa are outstanding! The tacos dorados de birria were 💣! It was my first time there, dad wanted some tamales, and some of you know he’s pickier than me 😂 he loved them. I will say they are smaller than what I’m usually accustomed but it makes up with quality good food. Will def go back and try some guisados and other dishes.

This place was fantastic! Like eating at your abuelas house. My boyfriend and I came across this place on Instagram and decided to check it out since he is from Tierra caliente (Guerrero). I got a tamal de puerco and mole costeña. The food is spicy but very savory. My favorite drink was the chilate....almost like having cold champurrado but better. Fast and friendly service, the ladies working there were so great ❤️

My only reason for not giving a 5 star rating is due to not being told correctly when asked about a food what was in it. I just had oral surgery and having stitches it is very hard to eat foods that have seeds in them. I'm in the Inland Empire but my brother works in Downey so I ordered some strawberry tamales from here. When I called to find out what the tamales had in them I was told that they had pumpkin & sesame seeds grinded up in the masa but that you couldn't feel them. Absolute lie. Although the flavor is on point. It's really not their fault I have stitches but I would have appreciated the truth about feeling the seeds even after I told the person answering the phone why. Guess when I'm better I'll have to check out their other tamales and see how they are. I do have to say though that they are pricey for the size they are. So do not expect a good size tamal. At $23 for the dozen with taxes it's kind of up there in price.

I got red mole, green posole, pork banana leaf tamale, chicken corn husk tamale. All were great. But my faves were the pescadillos and the sugar cane tamale. Can’t wait to go back.

One of the easiest five-star reviews I'v ever given. At an unbeatable price point, Komal offers delicious and filling Mexican dishes centered around masa. The tortillas alone are worth coming here -- they're so fresh and flavorful. Definitely order the squash blossom quesadilla. I also enjoyed the chuchito, which is a perfectly balanced pork tamal that uses creamy cheese and acidic pickled veggies to cut the pork/masa filling. I also have to plug the molotes, which are served with a delicious black mole that, despite being a bit on the sweeter side, is rich and full of complexity. Please support this fantastic business -- I hope they're a staple at mercado la paloma for years to come!

Authentic and tasty Mexican food tucked inside a predominantly Mexican food court. We tried the Tlacoyos, Flor de Calabaza, and Suadero tacos, along with the cactus and hibiscus aguas del día. The Flor de Calabaza was a standout and highly recommended. The tacos leaned a bit salty, but still flavorful. Note, the nearby Holbox has a very long line, but there was no wait to order at Komal. The tight parking was honestly the most stressful part of the visit. Overall, a great spot for authentic flavors without the wait.

Located inside Mercado La Paloma. One of the best Mexican dishes we ever had. They make their own fresh masa everyday. The corn tortilla is delicious. The owner used to work for Holbox. She saved up and open this restaurant. Amazing accomplishment. Komal has been designated Bib Gourmand. Service staffs were friendly, helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back.

This recently opened eatery at The Mercado la Paloma has already been recognized by the LA Times to be in the top 50 restaurants in the city. The masa is extra special and the tacos and tamales are skillfully prepared and presented to delight the taste buds! No wonder it has already been for a Michelin rating. It will be the second Michelin rated restaurant at the Mercado la Paloma.

Komal is located to the right when you enter the Mercado La Paloma. I got here around 3:20p and it was still busy inside the food court. I got the Flor del Calabaza quesadilla, which was unique in flavor. I also got the Chuchito which was packed and tasted superb. And I drank a cactus cucumber drink and what was so refreshing. There are other foods to try in the court that I will be returning to next time.

Excellent flautas. The crunchy corn tortilla rolls with cheese and mole made for a good meal. Skip the new pan de elote. 🌽 It tasted like it was a day short of becoming hard tack. The passion fruit topping and cream weren't enough to overcome it.

The tastiest Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles!! I love the location and the colorful yellow tiles on the facade of KOMAL. Smartly designed aesthetics and beautifully thought out menu. The prices are fair for such quality ingredients. Komal is an upcoming business with care and true craft behind every bite. Also the aqua fresca is super nice on a hot day and the pan de calabaza is everything. I dream about KOMAL!

The Grove in Los Angeles is a perfect blend of shopping, dining, and entertainment. The open-air layout, beautiful fountain, and lively atmosphere make every visit enjoyable. Great mix of stores, tasty restaurants, and the trolley adds a fun touch. Always clean, well-kept, and full of energy.ideal for a day out with friends, family, or a casual solo stroll...

The Grove is a nice outdoor mall with a mix of high end stores. Around the holidays, especially at Christmas, the decorations are colorful and festive, which makes it a fun place to walk around. There’s a good movie theater and lots of places to eat. The Original Farmers Market is also here, it has a bunch of different food options, and the people working there are usually pretty friendly.

Such a great experience! 🌟 This plaza is absolutely beautiful 🏙️ and filled with lots of nice shops 🛍️ — I really enjoyed my time here ❤️. There’s even a little track train 🚝 that takes you around the entire market, which made exploring super fun and relaxing. The fountain is stunning 💦✨ — I honestly felt like I could sit there all day and just enjoy the atmosphere 🪑☀️. Right next to it, there’s also a lovely farmer’s market 🥕🍞 with fresh produce and cute local stands. You could easily spend a whole day here just strolling around and taking it all in.

Visit here to get dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. But we came early and got to enjoy a beautiful sunset here. This photos, I took without edit or filter. Really no filter needed. Night time here also good to go, the vibes and lights make it more magical.

Finally checked this place off my want to go list! So many people and shops. There's a really cool trolley and a fountain that make for good photo ops! While you're here, definitely take some time to check out the adjacent farmers market!

The Grove is my go-to mall whenever I’m in Los Angeles 🌴🛍️✨. It’s got everything I need in one stylish outdoor space — from Alo Yoga and Barnes & Noble to my favorite burger spots. The vibe is always lively yet laid-back, making shopping here feel more like a day out than just an errand. 🌆🍔📚 I still miss the Dominique Ansel Bakery that used to be here (RIP cronut runs 😭& cookie in cup 🥐), but The Grove continues to deliver with its mix of fashion, food, and entertainment.

Joan’s on Third has the best Chinese chicken salad! I’ve ordered their short rib sandwich too- which is also delicious. I’ve never been to one in person, but this weekend I ventured my way here. I was surprised to see they had breakfast options! Although we didn’t order it, their corned beef hash looked amazing. They also have so many goodies. It was like Disneyland inside. They had ice cream, a dessert area, snacks, candies, and food options in the cases like quiches, lasagna, meatballs… They have open seating. It was crowded on a Saturday but the service was great and the food came out quick and hot. Definitely need to check this place out if you’re in the area and want a delicious bite to eat!

Overall, Joan’s on Third is that rare mix of cozy and elevated — a must-visit if you love great food with a touch of everyday glamour. And I thought delis usually is small and narrow. Here is so spacious with all types of sitting area, which makes feel more comfortable to stay here a whole afternoon. Sometimes just holding a cup of coffee and sitting by the window to watch people passing by.

I love this place! Good food. Tons of options. Clean. Tons of seating. Outdoor as well. Quick and easy. Amenities like a water stand and sinks outside of the bathroom to wash your hands, etc. very thoughtful layout. All sorts of drinks and snacks and pastries in addition to a breakfast menu and lunch options that are ready made including hot and cold items.

Shortrib sandwich was really as good as they say. The turkey club did not disappoint either. Happy to have experienced what all the hype was about. Would love to come back for so much more that was offered.

That’s a big miss for people with dietary needs or preferences. It feels like a small thing, but in 2025, it matters. Portion sizes are good, but the price is high. You’re paying for the reputation and the location, not always for innovation. Service is friendly, but not always efficient. During busy times, orders seem slower, the staff is juggling too much, and things can lag. Verdict: Joan’s On Third is still worth a visit if you love the familiar flavors and the comfy, local feel. Just go in with tempered expectations. It has charm, but it’s not keeping pace with what diners expect now.

Great service. The food is freshly prepared as you can tell by the way it tastes & arrives hot. I haven't tried everything on the menu besides just a few breakfast items. The staff is friendly & & brings food to tables. It's pricier than most other market cafes, but I enjoy the ample seating & ambiance.

I’ve always enjoyed coming to one of my favorite spots in Echo Park, but was really disappointed to find out there’s now a $10 parking fee. It’s frustrating, especially since it was never an issue before. I understand businesses need to make changes, but charging for parking feels like a step in the wrong direction. It definitely takes away from the overall experience... let's see how the food is how I remember..

Had the tacos, cheese enchiladas and famous flaming margarita. It was all amazing.

Great place to visit, but not so good to dine at. Shopping > Wow….a really interesting Italian food store, lots of interesting food items, nice displays and lots of variety. Some items seem to be priced very reasonably and then you can pay a lot for seemingly very high quality items. Dining > The Pasta restaurant was nice, but the meal I had was way overpriced for the amount of food served. Pea/ricotta ravioli was $27 for maybe 10-12 ravioli, and the bowl it was served in was unnecessarily large for such a small amount of food. The Italian cola was pretty bad, cost $6 and tasted like cheap Pepsi. But the Tiramisu was fantastic, so good and was worth the $17. Recommended for browsing and shopping.

Eataly LA never disappoints. The pizza options are next-level — super fresh ingredients, crispy crust, and that perfect balance of chewy and flavorful. You can tell everything is made with care. The Margherita is a classic, but the seasonal pizzas are worth trying too. The small plates and hors d’oeuvres were awesome — light, flavorful, and perfect to share while hanging out. The bruschetta and cheeses were especially good paired with a glass of wine. The whole place has such a fun, energetic vibe — part restaurant, part market, and all-around great experience. The staff was friendly and knew their stuff, which made the meal even better. Definitely one of my favorite spots in LA for Italian food done right.

Can't really say enough about Eataly. The entire time is an experience. The quality of ingredients is better than 99% of local grocery stores. The employees are all very professional and provide the best experience possible. Groceries, sandwiches, deli, meat/fish, pastries, and some wonderful restaurants. I love the fresh pasta here.

Visited the store at the behest of my granddaughters. Cannot express how interesting even the story is. The heater heat starts around 830 for the bookings, but the in-house jalitos, the temperature and snacks available and the beverages really give you a fill. The topping is always at the Pizza. Counters, the lines are big next only to the chocolate lines. For the kids, the wine varieties. The power pasta varieties are simply amazing. Today was a 50% off across a lot of varieties. And it was fun just to see this store for the first time. I'm planning to take my granddaughter for her 10th birthday do we enjoy cannoless? This is a very unique item. I am trying to make the canoeige myself.But she wants it from Eatalyand looking for a good deal from this very, very interesting store, totally impressed right from the entry on the 2nd floor where the flowers were displayed to the actival places. Which house's the vines? With all the different varieties, amazing place simply sore spoils you for choices

Eataly is such an amazing place! I’ve been to a few of their locations, including the one in LA and at Westfield Century City, and every visit is such a great experience. What I love most is how versatile it is — you can go grocery shopping for authentic Italian products, enjoy a sit-down meal at one of their restaurants, grab a quick slice of pizza or a freshly made sandwich, indulge in dessert, or even pick up fresh bread and home essentials all in one spot. The food is always delicious, from their pastas to their pastries, and everything feels fresh and authentic. I also love the ambience — it’s lively, yet welcoming, and there’s something really special about being able to enjoy a glass of wine while strolling through the marketplace. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend hours exploring, tasting, and shopping. Eataly brings a little piece of Italy to the city, and I always leave happy (and full!). I go there all the time, and I recommend it 100%.

It’s got just enough kitsch to feel authentic-ish without crossing into parody, and that’s exactly what I come for. The margaritas? Excellent. Strong, balanced, and flowing. The service? Also excellent—friendly, efficient, and on top of the chaos, even when the place is buzzing. It’s a fun, high-energy spot that’s perfect for a night out with friends when you want some throwback LA ambiance and a good buzz. Where Casa Vega stumbles is the food. It’s not bad, it’s just… underwhelming. You’re paying a premium for the scene, not the salsa. The dishes are fine, but they don’t really outpace what you’d find at your neighborhood spot for half the price. So yes, go for the vibe, the drinks, and the memories. Just manage your food expectations and you’ll leave happy. Four stars.

The host asked if we had a reservation, and he told us 20 minutes. Took 5. Told the next lady in line, and an hour... place is DARK! It's hard to see. I think it was red leather booths. Waiters were in tuxedos, minus the jacket. We got a basket of chips. They did not refill it. Iced tea had passion fruit and tasted like perfume. My daughter got a carnatas burrito, large, and tasty. I got chicken Fajitas, pictured. There is not enough chicken to make 3 tacos. Also very bland. Needed salt and seasoning. The waiter got busy & it took a while to pay the check. Interesting experience overall.

This San Fernando Valley landmark is legendary, serving up the valley’s best Mexican food and beverages since 1956. I’ve eaten here for 35 years, always left happy. The Carne Chile Colorado is my all time favorite, but everything is good. The atmosphere is classic Hollywood watering hole, the margaritas are exceptional. I highly recommend. Happy Trails!

Great drinks and vibe. Amazing service, great margaritas, and the food is awesome. I went with the family and we had the shrimp burriito, elóte, and lots of other items. The Mr. Vega margarita is my favorite margarita. Just a great spot. It’s a true classic and worth checking out.

I’ve been here twice, both times had a great experience. The food is delicious and always hot and fresh. I personally haven’t always been the biggest fan of Mexican restaurants that are on the “fancier” side because I feel they sometimes lack the authentic street-food taste that my favorite Mexican dishes usually have. This place is an exception. The flavor is good and both times we were provided great service. The churros are to die for, and the nachos were delicious. The strawberry frozen margarita (we had one once with the gummy worms) is also a highlight and a must have for a drink. Definitely will come again for a great atmosphere and delicious food.

I had an amazing dining experience at Casa Vega in Los Angeles! The atmosphere is classic and cozy, and it was so cool to sit in the same booth that was featured in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Our server, Dillon, was great — attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations that made the meal even better. The food was fresh and came out quickly. Highly recommend Casa Vega for anyone looking for a true LA dining experience with great food, excellent service, and Hollywood history!

An LA institution. Multi-generational Boyle Heights spot for huge portions of classic Mexican staples. The burritos and tostadas are legendary. Don’t get the large unless you plan to feed a family of four! But be sure to get it smothered okie-style and take your time digging through the layers of flavor.

My parents used to bring me here when I was kid after visiting my grandma in City Terrace. Either the food has gotten worse or I've just had much better since the. I agree with one Review stating that the flavor in the meat is gone. I ordered the Chile Verde platter and let me tell you. The pork chunks were tasteless & lacking good texture. The last time I came a year ago, it was the same problem with the Chile Colorado. Meat was bland and dead. Salsa is 'okay' but definitely lacking. RIP Manuel, I remember when he used to greet us at the door when we came & went. 🙏

Came here from San Diego, and as much as I tend to overlook Mexican plates in Los Angeles, El Tepeyac was nothing short of amazing. My wet burrito was delicious with the steak melting in your mouth. Portions are extremely generous. I was only able to eat one half and the rest when I got back home. There is a wait for the line but honestly worth the wait in the LA summer heat. Parking is located next to the store. Hoping to make this my place to stop when in LA.

The wet burrito was huge and tasty. It was big enough for like two to three people to share though. The staff was nice and the restaurant wasn’t too packed in the early afternoon.

Family lunch at El Tepeyac, and of course, I had to go for their legendary Hollenbeck burrito. I ordered the mini (yes, mini) and it was still massive! Stuffed with tender meat, every bite was a flavor bomb. We grabbed a spot on the self seating patio side, which was quick and convenient. Pro tip: if you're aiming for indoor seating, bring your patience, it gets packed, especially on weekends. Worth the hype? 100%.

Nice local gastropub. It's on Sunset Blvd, which can make parking a challenge. It's a nice casual gastropub w outdoor sitting. They are fur baby friendly, which is a definite plus. The menu has vegan and non vegan options. I ordered the following items: -Angry Vegan Pizza: Really like the thin crunchy crust. It's not as spicy as I thought it would be. Then again, I was told my threshold for spice is crazy high. -Pickled veggies: Refreshing on a hot day. Nicely pickled -Coconut shrimp: It was meh...nothing memorable. Had better. -Cesear Salad w veggie chicken: It was pretty decent, but nothing I would come back for again.

This is my favorite place in town for Buffalo Cauliflower wings- it’s the vegan blue cheese dressing that got me! They’re not too spicy either. Their happy hour menu includes lots of vegan options, including an impossible burger which is delicious. The chili cheese fries is a huge portion- good for sharing.

Great Ambience. I recommend baked potato pizza, crab cake and buffalo cauliflower. Angry vegan pizza was extremely spicy- if your crazed up and want to go extreme ! You can try Angry vegan Pizza. I guess you can alter the spice I dint ask the waiter neither the waiter advised. I dint know if i could alter the spice level but yeah! Damn crazy spicy it was. Nickel bag of churro was piping hot . Will try vegan chocolate pudding next time. Great place to hang out with friends and family.

Beers and babies? And great service? Yes! They offered a great selection of beer and have offered Pliny the Younger the past few years! It's also family friendly - they even have coloring sheets with crayons. The food is decent and I would stick with the starters and brunch items. But the kids like the cheese pizza. There is something for everyone!

Had the pleasure of finally trying this place out. The food here is spectacular and has an amazing modern flair. Brunch menu was great and had a lot of options. The eggs benedict are easily the best I've had in southern California. My friend tried the chicken sandwich and was very pleased with her meal as well. The staff was super helpful and gave us a good breakdown of offerings. The interior is very unique and almost worth going just for the setting.

Amazing drinks and delicious food served here. They have vegan and gluten free options too. The service is great, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The general manager Kelly is so personable and accommodating. If you are in the area stop by here. I highly recommend them.

Paco's has gone down hill so badly we have no intention of returning unless my little grandson insists for his Birthday. Now, their food was never great, but it was good, the prices fair and the service excellent. Such is no longer the case. I would give them 2 stars but they sang Happy Birthday to my grandson so I am being overly kind. There were 5 of us. They brought one basket of chips. You want another, again 5 of us, you will be paying for that. You walk in the place and it is now very warm. It is not as clean as it used to be, but it is fine. The service was so slow and it was not peak dinner time, not that such would be an excuse. They got our order wrong and the food was not good, some of it was not something you would eat. But, my dog liked 240$ worth of food. First, they came to get our drink order and that was fine. Then we waited and waited and someone came to take our order. We all had expensive dishes and when they came they all looked the same. They were not, they were just a mess of food on a plate. We ordered a shrimp cocktail that is supposed to have ceviche in it. Look at the photo, it is mostly water. There were 3 little shrimp and more watery ceviche. My grandson was the only one who would eat it. The balance just sat. Our food came at the same time instead of the starters and then the meal. I can live with that if it were any good. My grandson is a Special Needs child and can handle zero stress, so I could not return my dish and it went home to the dog, most everyone's did. I was so very clear that I was highly allegoric to sour cream and none was to be on my chimichanga or anything else. I clearly said this and added, no sauce of any kind at all. Just make it plain. The plate had been sitting in the heat and all the sour cream had melted into the entire plate. They must love sour cream. The plate was such a mess and the chimichanga so small that I could not find it. I took a bite of the beans and there was sour cream under it and I thought I would vomit. I looked at the rest of it and none of it could be eaten. I sat there with a smile on my face for my grandson and not one staff member even asked if our food was okay. Not even when I had the entire meal put in a box, all of them. My husband had a steak dish that he asked for rare to medium rare. It was burnt. The dog liked that as well. The rice on all dishes was dry. The beans, the dog would not even eat. The one thing they have that is still good are their tortillas, that are made there. But it took forever to get them. The flan was fine. It took a long time to get the bill. They have raised their prices. I have had better food at the worst taco truck in town. What a waste of money. Four plates barely touched. My grandson did love the beans.

Best food ever, flour tortillas were the best thing I’ve ever had in my life, service was extremely fast, and everybody was very nice and they even gave free candy at the very end. Highly recommended and I love this place very much! 5 STARS!!!

After coming here for over 20yrs, I most sadly say that I will not return ever again. yesterday evening September 19, 2025 me and my party of 5 came here for dinner. The service was terrible, the food flavorless. On several occasions they asked to removed/clear the plates even though we had not finished eating. The removed my drink even though It still had about 1/2 left. It seemed that they wanted us out in under an hour, Several of the waiter and waitresses would come by and asked if we were done. This is ridiculous. I spent close to $200 and we were unable to enjoy the overpriced and flavorless food. NEVER AGAIN

A fave each time I visit from Sydney. I've been here numerous times, and although it's on the commercial side of Mexican food compared to the trucks, it's still bloody good and keeps me coming back. I talked about Paco's Tacos all the time in Australia. Nice one team!

Excellent food and service .. Great prices and the margaritas are on point. Best thing is that the prices are not to high for what you get. Everything is authentic here and the home-made tortillas ypy cant go wrong. Make sure you get some butter for those! You will have to street park so read the signs.

The food is pretty good, but maybe not exceptional value for the money. Saltwater aquariums certainly aren’t cheap to maintain though, so that is probably part of what you’re paying for. The eclectic decor and lively atmosphere were standout features.

Very authentic and clean place. The service is very nice. They cook the tortillas freshly in front of your eyes. Tortilla chips come as a hot treat, with salsa sauce, of course. We tried their buritto, it was very good. The portions are unbelievably large. Two people can share a burrito. Even we as big eaters couldn't finish it. I suggest you try it. There is also free parking.

Casablanca was a FANTASTIC restaurant! My girlfriend took me here to celebrate and I loved it. I had never heard of it, but the food was delicious and the margaritas were excellent! The whole place is a love letter to the movie Casablanca, with tons of rare memorabilia that would make any film fan jealous. I’m already planning my next visit!

All presentation and no flavor. Come here if you want to know what food tasted like before mankind discovered spices. I didn't know it was possible to cook an entire meal that tasted like nothing. This place is the Lacroix of Mexican food. Everything was completely bland. No flavor whatsoever. I'm surprised the onions tasted like onions. Guacamole, no flavor. 👎 Chimichanga, no flavor. 👎Rice and beans? You guessed it, absolutely zero flavor. 👎Even the red sauce enchiladas which should have peppers in it that inherently have flavor tasted like mush 👎their cevice should be illegal. I swear they opened a bag of precooked shrimp and dumped it into some pico. It didn't taste like limon at all. 🤮 People were nice but I would never come back here. This food was straight up embarrassing 😔 THE ONLY GOOD THING was the green sauce with queso they brought to the table before the meal. That sauce was pretty good 👍

Unique movie-themed environment with lots of peculiar decor. The tortillas were amazing and the Pina colada is one of the best I’ve ever had.

First time here. Great experience. Food is great but the staff is the best part of it. They treat you so good is like being at home. Inside and outside seating area. Outside for a relaxed dinner with friends and family. Inside for a more intimate/romantic setting. Either way, you'll have a great time. From margaritas made table side to a secret menu. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Casablanca has some of the best vibes in Venice! I dimly lit Mexican restaurant with Casablanca themed decor! They also have an awesome patio & a margarita cart! Love their enchiladas and crispy tacos. Don’t forget to get the queso fundido!!

This is a wonderful experience. The restaurant is gorgeous. The attention to detail is superb. You could tell it is a popular restaurant as it was a Monday and it was packed. Even when we left, there was a line of cars waiting for a parking spot. The beans had a nice spicy kick to them. The salsa selection is obviously great. The food was good. My only concern was that the tortillas were not authentic. They had the preservative smell and taste.

Love salsa & beer. I literally come for their famous bean dip. It’s my favorite thing! I’ve been coming here for years and this last visit made me happy. We didn’t have to wait too long for a table. There’s been times where we’ve had to wait over an hour. And this time we only waited 30 mins even tho they said it would be about an hour wait. The service was great. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we got all our plates. All the dishes are huge so you’ll have leftovers for sure. I totally recommend checking out this restaurant. They have lots of locations too and all the locations have the same good quality of food. We love ordering the burritos, combo plates and the shrimp cocktail. The enchiladas are probably my least favorite dish they have. One thing to note is that there is a different price if you pay cash or card. Card is more expensive so make sure to bring cash. This is a great authentic Mexican restaurant and if you haven’t been, you are definitely missing out!

They have the most delicious food here! It’s my favorite place, I try coming once a month. I always get their carne asada combo plate. Their food comes in big portions and is worth the price. The food is so filling that I can never finish it. The beans and chips is really good.

I've been coming here for years and it remains one of my very favorite places. I swear I ordered and turned around and my food was there! You can't go wrong with their fajitas. So good. They have a nice variety of salsas, try them all!!! There can be a line for dinners, but it's worth the wait. This visit was lunch on a Sunday, and we got a table straight away. Strawberry margaritas are perfect. Be prepared to bring home leftovers - life doesn't get better than that.

Food was amazing, authentic and delicious and the salsa bar was unique. This is clearly a popular spot with huge local demand. All that being said, our waiter, EDGAR, was a jerk. Dude acted like we were a burden unto his personal life, like we were imposing upon his night. Right from the get go he gave us the cold shoulder, almost as if patrons had no right to not be ready to place their order the moment they sit down. He re-visited our table three times in the course of a two hour meal. Also, was pissed when we ordered a to-go meal through another waitress. Edgar was a toxic lil man and I think someone should chat with him about the face you bring to service work. Also attached is a picture of Edgar so he can’t weasel his way out of this bad review. Pretty standard BBQ place, not sure why people are rating so high. All seating is outdoors at communal tables, some with umbrellas. There is also a bar that has seating. Not inside the Grand Central Market but adjacent to. Found the staff to be very nice and helpful. Food comes out fairly fast. I would prefer the meats to have a robust smoke flavor, the pulled pork was sweet which I really disliked. Only one BBQ sauce and it was too runny and too sour with vinegar. The sides were so so. I would look for other places to eat, doesn''t live up to the promise.

We were the first customers on a Saturday. The menu is small but has good options. The patio area is just lovely and offers a direct view of Angels Flight across the street. The cashier gave us our alcoholic beverages right away (beer for my husband, cider for me) but everything else, including our son’s Coke, came from the pick up window. Our food was ready in just a couple minutes. I had the brisket with coleslaw and a cornbread muffin. The meat was flavorful and tender, and the coleslaw was almost perfect. The muffin wasn’t hot all the way through, and that was disappointing. My husband has ribs, brisket, and fries and a cornbread muffin. Our son had the brisket quesadilla, and after I tried a bite, I wished that I'd had that instead of my platter! I was glad we got there right when it opened, as the patio was already filling up as we left.

Based on the last few barbecue places I’ve tried in LA, I thought there may be no hope for good barbecue. I’m from the south and I’ve tried barbecue from all over the south east. It can differ depending on where you are, but it’s all good! I decided to try this place after wandering around Grand Central market. It’s right next to it, but amazingly I’ve never noticed it. It’s a little pricey, just like everything is in LA but I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. My favorite barbecue meat is pulled pork and there’s was pretty good. Except, I prefer mine without being pre-sauced. I would get everything again besides the barbecue beans, they were a bit too saucy. Everything else was flavorful and fresh tender. So far, it’s the top barbecue that I’ve had in Los Angeles. I certainly will return to try more from the menu! Also, I really like the outdoor seating under the trees. Very relaxing and a great setting for eating barbecue.

Really good BBQ. Wasn't sure what to expect, but the portions were nicely sized, especially for the price. I usually just get chicken tenders as a side to see how different restaurants make them and these were probably the best I ever had. Got the brisket, tenders and baby back ribs. To be honest, they were all very good and wouldn't be able to pick just one. The seating area is great, and nice beer options too. Convenient to the Angel Flight Railway (you can see it in my picture below). When back in town, definitely visiting this place again.

Being from Fort Worth, TX I've had my fair share of bbq. I was excited to find Horse Thief by happy accident while visiting the Grand Central Market. Their current menu is not the one you find online. They didn't have burnt ends or turkey. The sliced brisket was really nice, I was impressed. It had a nice level of smoke and was tender. The fries were a disappointment but I'm not a fan of that style of fries. The coleslaw was not bad. Overall, I was pleased and felt it was a good amount of food for the money.

Tried the brisket sandwich. I wish they would have said it was chopped. I’ve had better bbq sandwiches in my home. Cool location. Coleslaw was quite good. Potato salad didn’t have much flavor.

Had the two piece meat combo. Got brisket rib tips man n cheese with baked beans. Brisket was top notch. Also best bbq around. Decent prices with. Decent portions. Didn’t have to wait long and enjoyed the out door eating in the heart of downtown. It’s definitely worth trying. I highly recommend you get the brisket.

The grilled chicken was overdone and slightly dry, but the sheer size of the plate made up for it. Sometimes, quantity can overpower quality in my reviews because I’m always so hungry. I do recommend this place, and I expect that I will be back to try other options soon.

One word, delicious 😋 I try several meals this time and every single one had a special flavor. Although the place gets crowded, the service is fast. I love this place. I have being coming for more than 21 years, the Mercado wasn't as popular as it is now. But here the flavors of Yucatan are a total worth place to wait, drive to and bring the whole family

The poc chuc plate was good and I enjoyed the habanero sauce it came with. I didn’t eat all day and was starving so not bad for $20. Service was a little slow despite not being too busy.

Chichén Itza in Mercado La Paloma is absolutely delicious. I had the bistec a la yucateca (I was so hungry I forgot to take a photo lol) and my friend had the pollo asado (pictured below). The tortillas tasted like my Abuelita made them and the bistec was 🔥🔥🔥you gotta come check it out ! It was worth it

We drove from Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya to Chichen Itza, leaving early to beat the crowds. For a while, we had this incredible place almost to ourselves. Amazing to see such a wonder standing the test of time.

My friend and I planned to eat at Holbox, but with an hour-long wait just to order, we didn't have the time. Thankfully, we discovered Chichen Itza right in the same Mercado complex—and while it's not at the level of Holbox, it's still a solid choice for delicious food without the wait. I ordered the Pollo Asado, a flavorful boneless chicken grilled over mesquite charcoal and marinated with achiote and sour orange juice. It came with perfectly cooked fried plantains (crispy on the outside, soft and sweet inside—so good!), roasted red onions, rice, and black beans. My friend chose the Cochinita Pibil, which was tender, juicy pork marinated in achiote and sour orange juice, cooked in banana leaves, and topped with pickled red onions. It came with rice, black beans, and warm tortillas. We also shared a large Ceviche, which was fresh and zesty. Overall, the food was tasty and well-prepared, with good portions. The ambiance is casual and unpretentious, perfect for a quick, satisfying meal. The Mercado itself has a bustling, lively vibe, which adds to the experience. The big win here? No wait and quick service! Plus, we found street parking right out front, which was super convenient. If you don't have the time to line up for Holbox, Chichen Itza is a great alternative.

Overall amazing experience! The breakfast was killer and so fresh. I love the staff here. They’re always friendly. From a branding perspective, they do an awesome job of creating a unique experience and vibe I’ve enjoyed sitting outdoors and indoors, depending on time of day. Prices are fair. Especially because the tacos are bigger than average. If I’m not hangry, I could personally be good with one. I rated it a 4 instead of a five because when I came back tonight for dinner around 6:30, my taco was rather old, cold, and sad. It had started to cool into the shape of the foil it was wrapped in, and didn’t taste very fresh. Yet, I still had a good time because of the staff. I’ll give it another shot. I think this place can and will do better. And even kinda cold, it was better than the one I’d just tried down the street 😂

The only taco that actually hit was the Tijuana Panthers. It had flavor, it had texture, and the queso sauce brought everything together. Without that one, this would have felt like a complete waste of money. I ordered brisket, chicken, the Trinity, and a bunch of salsas. The brisket and chicken were both underwhelming. Nothing stood out. The breakfast taco tasted like it had been sitting out all day. By the time it got to me for dinner, the bacon felt dry and old. The only reason I got through the meal was because they were generous with the salsa and that queso taco pulled more than its weight. I paid close to forty dollars for this, and that was with a promo. Without it, the total would have been closer to fifty. These tacos are tiny. Maybe four or five bites each. When you think about spending eight or nine dollars per taco once delivery and fees are in, it just doesn’t make sense. I wouldn’t come back unless it was just to grab that one taco again. And I wouldn’t bring friends or recommend it to anyone unless they were already nearby and curious.

Overpriced for tacos with absolutely no seasoning ($7+tax a pop? Sheesh) and for the size of tiny street tacos.... The meat quality itself is good, though. Also the "hot sauce" was just salsa, no spice whatsoever (even for my spice intolerant husband). If you bring your own hot sauce, might be a game changer.

We were in town for the weekend and decided to pop in. So glad we did. I love a simple and well executed menu. Breakfast tacos are non existent in the Bay Area. I appreciated the presumably handmade flour tortillas. The texture and flour (dust on hands) made them feel like mom made them. The fillings were tasty. The salsas were both flavorful. Loved the queso, so yummy. Great coffee. Simple.

Got the basic beef, chicken tacos with a ranchwater. Came out almost immediately and were delicious on freshly made flour tortillas. Highly recommend.

HomeState is amazing! The tacos are out of this world, and the whole place has such a friendly, laid-back vibe. The staff is super nice, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. It’s the perfect spot to chill with friends and enjoy some seriously good food. I had a great breakfast tacos! Definitely a must-visit for taco lovers!

I can't remember the last time I left a review, that's how disappointing this meal was. We ordered HS today and you couldn't possibly make the meal worse. How you mange to burn every single tortilla, is beyond me. Even the quesadilla was a cracker with cheese in the middle. I could use it as a door wedge. I used to love HomeState but as the prices continue to creep upwards, the quality sadly does not match the price points. Even with the original prices, one shouldn't tolerate burnt tortillas and crunchy quesadillas.

I have to say it! Just lousy tacos.OMG just the worse “taco experience ever.” Jack and the Box, Taco Bell would have been better. We had such high hopes. Ok the pork was a slab of fatty meat with BBQ sauce, some onion slices and a pickle. Why not just Be a shitty sandwich. The chicken taco… Really damn breaded fried and lousy. Open quesadilla really? F’ing up the culture with some BS twists. If you want tacos go find a truck.

Nice corner spot! Nice vibe ambience! The food. Ordered mushroom and cheese taco, sweet potato taco and the potato taquitos. Def not a fan of the potato taquitos.. no flavor at all for the potato which is a huge downfall.. a very flavorless dish even with the green sauce and cheese. Not a fan of the sweet potato taco either. The best part of the meal was the mushroom cheese taco. Maybe next time.

Very good, delicious, creative tacos. Good value for a meal of this caliber. Main downside — quite empty for a Friday night when I went, did not make for a great ambience though I realize that’s not totally within the restaurant’s control. Makes for an easy table to get though

This place is a gem! If you're looking for a delicious meal and great beverages, this is the place! The items on the food menu change frequently and are always delicious! The cocktails are really good, as fresh juices and syrups are prepared in-house! The food is a little more pricey than average. However, the ingredients selected are of higher quality and always fresh, which you can definitely taste!!! This spot has great people, great service, and great food and drink!!! You should definitely drop by and enjoy!!!

Vincent was incredibly friendly and helpful. He even came outside to assist us with parking. The food was a bit pricey but delicious. We tried the chef's special fried fish, tacos, and enchiladas, all of which were packed with flavor. The horchata panna cotta was a delightful and tasty dessert. With excellent service and mouthwatering food, this place is a must-visit!

An upscale Mexican restaurant tucked away in the Arts District with an amazing menu. The flavors are bright and warm leaving you feeling satisfied and comforted. They are flexible for dietary restrictions and have options for vegans. 2 tacos were more than enough for me.

It’s SO GOOD! You have to ask for the weekly special tacos. This week they have Korean Fried Fish Taco Chicarron Taco and and they are great! The staff are super sweet, friendly, and fun! They made you feel like you are his friends already and he welcomes you to his home to enjoy the amazing food they provide. Highly recommended!

Today I was starving and I’m usually reluctant to try new places, but my girlfriend insisted that we try this out and the Google reviews looked extremely promising when we arrived. The atmosphere was pleasing, but I’m sad to say I cannot say the same about the food at most We ate around the very questionable “beef” And took bites out of the tortillas and chips we attempted to eat the meat when we initially tried the food and we’re both immediately met with stomach pain and agony. Having barely touched the food from our bodies, immediately rejecting it plus the price we were Surprised and disappointed that I asked for a refund was immediately met with a Cold no from the worker that had taken our order we tried to explain that we couldn’t even eat it But she said she can’t refund us, even though we had a full plate of food on the table I never left a bad review in my life however I felt it safe to do a public service and let anybody know to avoid spinning close to $100 on this Establishment if you’re gonna give your money away, you might as well donate to charity instead.

I love the ambience of this spot. The outdoor seating and the decor of the front entrance gives so much personality to the place. With that said—the tacos themselves were just alright for me. I think the main thing was—they’re all so greasy!! The flavors were great, but these were the greasiest tacos I’ve had in LA, and I ordered a whole variety. Also, they sprinkle cheese on top, but man, I wish they would’ve just melted that with the tortilla on the grill. The last time I had sprinkled cheese like that on top was at Taco Bell. 😆

I got two gourmet tacos here and they were more than enough for me. The taste was good and no over seasoning of the meat. They have an outdoor porch area for seating by and it covered by a hard roof top which is nice way to get a good breeze and fresh air while enjoying tacos.

These are probably the worst tacos I have ever had. We tried the shrimp, crawfish, tilapia, and salmon tacos, and the wild rice and yam burrito. The best was the burrito which just lacked any real flavor. The worst was the salmon, which reminded us of a dirty diaper.

I've passed by here many times and finally decided to try it today! The reviews are great and the atmosphere is pretty. However, the service is lacking and the food is even worse. For the price I was shocked. I never ask for refunds but I was genuinely baffled by what I was served. It tasted horrible... It was just inedible. Every ingredient tasted awful and cheap. I tried to eatit because it was so expensive but I gagged. Plus, as soon as the food entered my stomach I was in actual pain. I found that no refund for a meal that couldn't be eaten was shocking. It was really bad. I don't think I've ever ate something so low grade. I would choose cafeteria food over what I had any day. I am baffled that they are charging for that. A refund would genuinely be appreciated because $70 was spent for food I couldn't even consume. I basically just paid this restaurant for no reason and left hungry and disgusted. Disappointed to say the least.

One of Los Angeles’ great additions to our taco scene! Highly recommend getting the Caramelo with Tripa! It’s crunchy and made well at this place. The Chorizo is also great with a savory and salty notes. The service and turnaround is quick too even when busy. The service was nice and helped us pick out how much food to get. The Horchata con Coco is delicious too! The creaminess with the added coconut flavor is on point! Place is small and tables are first come, first serve but people dine and get out pretty quick.

Hidden gem in DTLA, my favorite is the braised beef taco, so tender and flavorful! Other meat part is OK for me, it based on which kind of texture your like. Overall, it's good vibe here, food is tasty, price is reasonable, and the staff are friendly. They also have a restroom next to the restaurant, inside the building(need password), I had a good time here with my friends, highly recommend!

Fantastically surprised! This little gem did not disappoint one bit. The burritos were so ooey gooey and packed with flavor. Literally melts in your mouth. The red salsa was the highlight for me. So fresh and the perfect amount of spice. They were very generous and kind and patient for how busy they are. They have a high bar style seating inside and a few tables outside. Grab a beer, Top Chico or aguas frescas to compliment your plate. Definitely coming back to try the more of the menu soon. Don't forget to get a pack of their hand-made tortillas!

Had high hopes for Sonoratown, tried the Burrito 2.0 with carne asada. Decent Burrito, appreciated the veggies accompanied with plate, nice grill to tortilla, flavorful meat, rest just mid. Green salsa likely from a jar, red (Pico) okay but also flat in flavor. Definitely was not worth the difficulty finding parking! 🤷‍♂️

The burritos ARE INSANE!!!!!! I love this place so much and tell everyone about it. It's a hidden gem and I come here every chance I get. The first time we came my boyfriend took one bite and got back in like to order another burrito lol! I love the carne asada tacos too.

The best fried shrimp tacos is los Angeles. I also recommend the POSEIDON if you like a little spice with your shrimp , octopus, albacore and fish tostada. Everything is fresh and serve promptly. (Only accept cash transactions) I know we don't know each other but trust you will thank me later if you try this.

Delicious, fresh, flavorful mariscos spot! The owner was extremely kind and welcoming as well. I highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Jalisco style mariscos! We tried the shrimp tacos, (delicious!), the ceviche tostada, and the Poseidon tostada. The Poseidon had a strong spicy kick to it, everything we had was yummy but that one was my favorite of the meal. SO GOOD. Will definitely come here every time I am in LA.

I’ve had their “Tommy Salame” before. It was adequately sized and normally priced for the quality you’re getting. This time I got the “Chicken Parm Sando.” I would say it was truly overpriced for the quantity you are getting. $21 for a small 6 inch sub makes no sense even if all the ingredients maybe organic or better quality. I would have priced that at $16 maximum because I know their overhead costs may be on the higher end. I just was expecting a bigger and more filling sandwich for that hefty price tag. Overall, it tasted great and homemade which I appreciate. However, it was a bit too acidic per my preference leaving me with some heartburn. I also got the $4 “Rye Brownie.” It had a more dark chocolate flavor and the texture was more wet like fudge rather than pillowy softness. I also experienced some heartburn from that. I wanted to purchase a tiny box of a single serving chocolate covered honeycomb but it was priced at $20. I mean online the “Honeymoon” brand sells it $12.50 each. I just found everything on their shelves from chocolates to jams priced double or triple what you would pay for elsewhere all to appease their rent and salaries. I really like their dedication to quality and freshness. And it’s truly an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. They just need to work on adequately pricing their food and products according to the market.

Food: I’ll mention my three favorites here to keep it shortened. I enjoyed the spinach and leek dip very much, the chips were delicious - crunchy, light, and airy with great flavor from whatever oil they fried it in. The dip I loved, the cheese flavor was strong and it was easy enough to get onto a chip. I liked the potato dumplings (gnocchi not dumplings) the sauce was very creamy, and Parmesan, and the bits of broccoli added a nice soft texture. I loved the crunchy pieces of bacon on top. The lettuces salad was also great, crisp, fresh greens meet with sweet dates, sweet dressing, and sliced almonds to make a delicious salad. Service: We had a reservation for 7:30, but we were seated at 7:45 instead, and the hostess was on the phone talking to another customer for about 10 minutes. Why have reservations if they can’t be on time? Our server was nice though and the food came out fast. Atmosphere: I liked how it was part store, part restaurant. The cheese displayed in the front made for a welcoming entrance. The left half had tables which made it look like a restaurant, while the other had wine for display and other items, making it like a store. Overall: Really delicious food and cute vibe, the service just fell a little short for me.

We had a wonderful brunch experience at Agnes! The cheese board was definitely the highlight, offering a great selection of cheeses with enough variety to keep things interesting and never repetitive. It felt like the perfect way to start the meal. Since it was brunch, we also ordered toast and salad. The crème brûlée toast stood out it was sweet, indulgent, and quite filling, almost like having dessert for breakfast. On the lighter side, the Babé Farms Lettuces salad was beautifully done, with fresh mixed greens paired with Aries cheese, smoked almonds, and dates, all tied together with a mustard shallot vinaigrette. The combination of crunchy nuts and sweet dates made it both refreshing and satisfying. The atmosphere of the restaurant is another big plus. With exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and a spacious patio, it feels open and stylish, yet still comfortable and welcoming. The way the dining room, bar, and market space flow together makes it feel unique and versatile. I also appreciated how extensive the menu is there are options for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, which makes it a place you could easily visit again and again for different occasions. On top of that, the drink selection is varied enough to complement any meal. Overall, Agnes is a spot that delivers not only on flavor but also on ambiance and versatility.

I’ve never met Agnes… but she’s got style. This place is such an interesting blend of modern ambiance and interior design. Natural light, brick walls, a crackling fire. And amazing cheese and wine of course. My friend and I were the only two in there and I bet it’s quite the spot in the evening. I’ll be coming back.

Wonderfully indulgent food. Atmosphere isnt as cozy as we had hoped (back patio was closed) but the staff was so kind and thoughtful on our anniversary (giving us a free champagne toast) and the food was so yummy. We weren't drinking beyond the champagne but the meal was 10/10 for cheese lovers.

Three of us took a friend for her 30th birthday based on a recommendation. However, it didn't live up to the hype. We went on Saturday night, 7:30 p.m. reservation. We got seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time which was expected. A server offered to take our drink order within a few minutes. Then another one went up to our table for the same purpose only a few minutes after the original order. With one vegetarian in the group, we attempted to order a mix of entrees that offered something for everyone. The Cheese Board was too small for four hungry women who had just gotten massages. The Crispy Tater Tots tasted just like any other, minus the crispy. The Beets and Pears was meh. The Grilled Cauliflower wasn't available but they made it with broccolini and that was okay. Unfortunately, there weren't any distinguishing seasonings or flavors that stood out. The carnivores ordered the fried chicken and skirt steak. They said it was good. We each one cocktail which didn't wow anyone. While we asked the server for her assessment on whether she thought we had ordered enough and she said it was a lot of food. It wasn't given the family-style service and small portions. There was a long delay between each order, including our drinks. We found ourselves done in between orders as we looked toward the kitchen area hoping to see a server with one of our orders. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we asked to see the dessert menu which was very unimpressive (root beer float, some kind of bread pudding, sorbet and some chocolate taco). We assumed that they would bring some kind of dessert for the birthday girl but no such luck. She did, however, get a birthday card as soon as she sat down. I would recommend this if one wants a light meal with loud ambiance in a restaurant-deli ambiance. I will not be returning for a light meal nor a dinner as the food and service were nothing spectacular, especially for a tab of $326.72.

From the beautiful patio space and thoughtful color schemes, to the friendly wait staff, I thoroughly enjoyed my evening out at Agnes. The s'mores taco was chef's kiss! What a lovely place for a quaint dinner with a friend in Old Pasadena. Thanks!!

This place serves one of the most incredibly crunchy and flavorful tripas (beef intestine) tacos I’ve ever had! It’s open 24 hours, making it the perfect spot to satisfy late-night or early-morning cravings. However, the neighborhood can feel a bit sketchy at night, so it’s best to be cautious. Takeout is usually the better option, as the tables and chairs inside are sometimes dirty, and occasionally you might see a homeless person going through the trash inside the restaurant. The cleanliness inside can be a concern for some.

I've been hitting up this spot for 20 years, but lately, the customer service is straight-up awful. They practically chased me and other customers off just for asking for some condiments! The burritos are $13, which is way too steep, but honestly, the worst part is how they treat you—like you're a nuisance or some kind of thief. It's just not worth coming back anymore.

While the restaurant itself looks beautiful, there were a lot of flies around while we were eating, which took away from the experience. Solid Mexican food from tacos to menudo. I had menudo which was very authentic and good. The meat was perfect and they included my favorite cuts. It’s pretty greasy though. The tacos are also very good. The aguas frescas are not that great. Service is pretty basic but fast. The eating area is open air but is covered. The only thing I don’t like about this place is when there are dodgers fans. lol! They’re not my cup of tea and they ruin LA traffic. Baseball is boring and the team displaced hardworking citizens from Chavez Ravine long ago. Parking is usually not an issue because they have a lot in the rear. Meter parking and free street parking also available.

As the name suggests, the huaraches are the star. Thick masa base, beans, cheese, and meat piled high. Salsa is spicy but tasty. The space is casual and no-frills. Perfect late-night comfort food

The food is delicious and very authentic. The service not so good. I went on a Saturday and it was busy. We waited 10-15 mins for someone to get our orders and our food took a long time to come out. Recommend coming for the food but maybe don’t come on a Saturday.

The food is definitely delicious! I ordered the chilaquilies with steak and green sauce, I highly recommend it. I dinned in, the wait was a bit long nothing excessive but it's understandable because it is full house. The tables were clean. There was a homeless camping outside but definitely out of there area. The price was fair, $15 - $25 if eating alone. I will be coming back! Definitely a spot for great tasting food. Adriana Rodriguez was my cashier.
