Kleinmarkthalle is a bustling market hall in Frankfurt, housing over 60 vendors offering a diverse range of groceries, flowers, wine, and prepared foods. It is located close to the famous Zeil shopping street and features 156 stalls open every day except Sunday. Visitors can explore an array of fresh produce including cheese, meat, vegetables, fruit, confectionery, bread, and pastries from the region.
This is a must visit in Frankfurt, It has dozens of independent market stalls offering almost anything food related you can think of. many vendors offer free samples of products so you can try before you buy. Me and my girlfriend brought dried fruits, pineapple and apple, to make this decision the vendor gave us samples of about 10 different products. we also tried several cheeses and meats. this place is even fun to go and browse. prices were reasonable. close to other near by attractions.

On a long layover in Frankfurt, our family stumbled upon a charming local market. It's very much a food-centric spot, with tempting street food everywhere – we just wished we weren't so full! We did find some authentic German honey and beautiful plants. It's a fantastic place to escape the heat, offering a cool indoor experience on a sunny day. My only regret was not finding a souvenir that could survive the journey home in warm weather.
Hisham A — Google review
Kleinmarkthalle is such a fun place to spend a lunch time or afternoon! There’s so many places to get delicious food and drinks and it has a really electric atmosphere! We visited on a weekend and the market was extended to stands outside, which were packed. It is definitely one to expect to be crowded but it was well worth the visit. I would recommend going for drinks so that you can walk around and pick up some deli ingredients for snacks 😋.

An amazing market to make you feel at home whoever you are and from whichever country because your favorite homeland food will be there In Klien market … all countries have kiosk selling their food … it’s amazing how you can travel the whole world in just one place

Lovely market with plenty of fresh meats, fruit, veg with some nice wee cafes and wine bars. Joes delicatessen is definitely worth a visit, gorgeous salami and wine.
Audrey K — Google review
If you want to feel the heartbeat of Frankfurt, look no further than Kleinmarkthalle. This indoor market is a vibrant and bustling hub where locals and visitors mingle, offering a slice of authentic German daily life with an international twist. From the moment you walk through the entrance — a simple but welcoming sign urging you “Auf die Kleinmarkthalle!” — you know you’re in for a treat. The market is alive with the hum of conversations, the aroma of fresh produce, and the dazzling colors of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and baked goods. Inside, the variety is stunning. You’ll find gorgeous cakes and tarts, like the ones beautifully displayed here: crumbly Streuselkuchen, glossy strawberry tarts, and towering cheesecakes dusted with powdered sugar. Each looks homemade, hearty, and utterly irresistible — perfect for a midday treat or a sweet souvenir. Further down the lanes, stalls burst with fresh produce: juicy strawberries, brilliant red currants, exotic fruits, and an impressive display of white asparagus (Spargel), a true German spring delicacy. Fresh mushrooms and artisan products add to the rich variety, and everything is beautifully laid out, making it a pleasure just to browse. The layout of the hall is practical yet charming. Upstairs, there’s a mezzanine where you can get a bird’s-eye view of the market’s bustle below — a sea of stalls and colorful canopies. Small eateries and cafés are scattered around, perfect for taking a break and sampling the local flavors. One charming find is Mathilda, a stand advertising homemade brownies and tarts, with a playful chalkboard encouraging you to “Eat cake!” — sound advice when surrounded by such delicious temptation. Navigating the market is easy, with wide aisles and a relaxed vibe that invites slow wandering. Despite its central location, Kleinmarkthalle retains a sense of local authenticity — it’s not just a tourist attraction but a beloved part of Frankfurt life.
Clifton P — Google review
Small market, similar to markets in major cities in USA and Canada. There is a small old German woman run shop near entrance called "SCHREIBER" She sells boiled sausages had the.mix pork and beef & yellow sausage pretty good. And another store on same side but opposite end is "GREF- OoLSINGS" had a fried pork patty with vegetables and herbs mixed in between bun and mustard very tasty and cheap.
Rajeevkumar S — Google review
We came to look around and enjoy the overall atmosphere of the market place. Lots of different stalls to try and plenty of places to sit and enjoy food and drinks. It was busy when we visited but not too crowded (weekday, afternoon).

Maybe is better to explain better both on Google Maps and on official website what is that about. Not a musem but a Turistic Office. Also is needed an extra explanation about the location. The address shares the door entrance with the Ikon Museum.

In Frankfurt, there are numerous attractions and activities to explore, including the Main Tower. This skyscraper offers unparalleled panoramic views of the city from its public viewing observatory. Visitors can admire iconic buildings such as the Commerzbank Tower, Deutsche Bank Twin Towers, and Trianon while taking in the 360-degree vistas. Additionally, Main Tower features a restaurant and bar just below the observation deck, providing an opportunity to savor both cuisine and scenery.
Breathtaking 360° View of Frankfurt – Well Worth the Visit! An absolutely stunning 360° view of Frankfurt awaits you from the rooftop! It’s one of the best places to take in the city skyline from above. Tickets can be purchased directly at the entrance—€9.00 for adults. The staff was very friendly and professional. While there can sometimes be a queue at the entrance, it was thankfully quiet when I visited. Security is well organized—your bags are scanned before heading up in the elevator. There’s even a toilet available on the 54th floor, just one level below the rooftop, which is convenient if you need it during your visit. Overall, it’s a must-do in Frankfurt, especially if you’re into cityscapes and photography. Highly recommend visiting on a clear day for the best experience!
JOSE P — Google review
Great views from up there, but it was way too windy. the ticked was only 9€, the linie to buy the ticket there was not long, the people that work there are super niceee Ofc its worth to go up there once you are in Frankfurt, i would prefer it nights too.

Amazing views of Frankfurt! The Main Tower Observatory is a must-visit — super fast elevator, friendly staff, and the view from the top is incredible. You can see the whole city, the river, and even the hills in the distance. I went during the night and the view with city lights were beautiful. Totally worth it! It’s €9 for adults to go up the elevator with unlimited time at the top. So you can stay as long as you want. You will need to go through a security checkpoint first before getting on the elevator Overall, extremely worth the view if you are in Frankfurt!
Jack F — Google review
Worth visiting once. There will be sitting area as well. I recommend once. No time limit for staying top. Camera is allowed. Beautiful view from the top. Ticket price is 9€ per person. Toilets available.

Totally worth the visit! The view from almost 60 floors up is breathtaking, you can see all of Frankfurt and beyond! The platform feels safe and open, and the atmosphere is amazing, especially at sunset. A must-see if you’re in the city! And you go by elevator ofc! It takes 1 minute to go up. Also it has discount with Frankfurt ticket.

Visitors can take a tour of this historical house featuring period interiors and exhibitions. The house offers a glimpse into Goethe's life, allowing guests to explore the rooms where he wrote his famous works. The collection includes original manuscripts, artwork, and personal belongings.
One of the must-visit tourist attractions in Frankfurt because it offers a deep insight into the life and times of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Visitors can explore the rooms where Germany’s most famous writer lived, see authentic furniture, and learn about his early inspirations. A great place for literature and history lovers.

Historic Site of Goethe's House where he was born and spent his young life. Multiple languages available for explanation on items displayed through an APP. I recommend you bring your headphone/bluetooth. Tickets are €12 per adult. They have a family rate. You need to be able to walk up and down stairs a lot. Enjoyed the visit as I do admire his life.
Sung K — Google review
Combination of two museums under one roof: historic birthplace of Johann van Goethe and museum of German romanticism. Striking difference between meticulously restored residence of the poet with attention to details and period’s furniture and modern part of romanticism museum. If you are short on time, Goethe’s old house is a must and also first floor with paintings of the other museum.
Mike Z — Google review
Fascinating museum with great renovations! The house looks beautiful inside. They give you a map, which makes it super easy to explore each room. There’s also an upper museums with lots of interesting exhibits and interactive things to see. Definitely worth visiting! You can get a discount with the Frankfurt Card.
Freya N — Google review
Visiting the Goethe House was such a great experience—it truly feels like stepping back in time to see how Goethe lived. Every corner of the house is filled with history: the kitchen displays old dishes you may have never even heard of, the games they played are still there, and the architecture and atmosphere are unforgettable. Even the smell carries a sense of the past. I wish homes like this were still being built today, but sadly times have changed. We only had a short layover in Frankfurt, and since it was on a quiet Sunday, visiting here was absolutely worth it.
Soraya L — Google review
Much more to this museum than we expected! Wonderful restored home with period furnishings and original artwork. Descriptions were in both German and English so we could understand and enjoy it fully. Don't miss this when you are in Frankfurt!
Jenny C — Google review
Nice place to visit in Frankfurt. The house is well kept and gives a glimpse of Goethe’s life. Not too big, easy to explore in about an hour. Worth a stop if you enjoy history and culture 🏠📚
Supanee K — Google review
Had a 12 hour layover and decided to visit this museum. It was money well spent and an afternoon of delight stepping into every room and space of Goethe history! I love the old grandfather clock that still works and the chime thrills through the house of Goethe, standby every half hour. We kept missing it. Piecing together the story of Joseph in one of the rooms was therapeutic esp for someone who doesn’t speak or read German. Thank God for google translator. The visit has a calming effect like as though I was brought back in time. The large glass frontage featuring the garden offered two perspectives. One from the front and the other from the inside looking out. After all isn’t the arts about perspective?? There’s a cool and ancient water fountain that I manage to refill my water bottle. It was refreshing to drink from the tap and the charge of 24€ for two person was well worth the ticket price. We got more than what we paid for. There was also a special corner where I could place a music score on a special device where I could listen to narration of the music composition by Robert Schumann and actually listened to the music being played. It was interactive and amazing. Love the modernity without compromising the beauty of historical arts and the subtlety of tech being used. Totally awesome!! For those with bags in tow rest assured there is proper storage for you to be hands free. Storage is free.

It is nice museum with multiple floors, famous art, and contemporary selections as well. We have spent the whole day. Toilets are nice and clean. The person at the first place before stairs was very informative and friendly 💐👍😀. Lockers are nice and have 1 or 2 € deposit. Roof top was nice. Strongly recommend seeing this museum 👌. It is a bit expensive though, 16 € per person.

this is definitely a museum that you should take the time to see. They have three floors a various artist and art. It’s quite pricey. It’s €18 per person which I find expensive. entrance. People at the cashier were very nice. They were helpful. They also have bathrooms which were very clean a gift shop they also had a small café with a lovely young lady behind it who could speak English I’m always happy when that happens since I don’t speak German and I ordered a piece of the apple pie which she recommended and it was delicious and a cup of cappuccino. It’s a nice way to spend 2 to 3 hours enjoying the beautiful art.
Harriet M — Google review
Was skeptical it would be worth the 16 euro entry fee but for what you get, the price is reasonable or even cheap. The sheer scale of this place and the range in its collection is mind boggling. Beautifully curated. Temporary exhibition that was on at my time of visit was also very thought provoking. Exhibits range from religious paintings to contemporary paintings to sculptures to photographs and multimedia. I almost missed the underground exhibits but 100% make it a point to stop by. The modern experimental art is incredible (funded by various German institutions I believe). Genuinely could spend hours there. You can casually see famous artists works displayed. Lovely staff as well. 10/10. That’s how you do an art museum!!

Had a nice experience and spent my time well. There was Carl Schuhe collection when I went and I really like it. Also went up to the rooftop and saw the city skyline. The cafe is also cozy and has good collection of cakes. 18 EUR well spent.

Amazing museum with an incredible collection! You can see works by Rembrandt, Kandinsky, Bosch, and many others - really fascinating to explore! The contemporary art floor is also super interesting, full of creative and thought-provoking pieces. Everything is well organized and beautifully displayed. A must-visit for anyone who loves art! Also discount with Frankfurt ticket.

Amazing collection of Classical, contemporary & Modern works of art. Easily able to spent 3 hours there. Also the view of Frankfurt skyline was very impressive. Didn't have to go to the Main Tower for it.
Josie B — Google review
An overall pleasant space surrounded by beautiful architecture, artistically designed staircase leading up to the rooftop terrace, overlooking the River Main and Frankfurt’s skyline. Stadel didn’t seem to have as many star attractions as some of the larger museums, but Schuch and French Art exhibition was an interesting theme. I downloaded their app to see if that would work as an audio guide, but it unfortunately didn’t work.
Ian K — Google review
This large art collection is heavy on the old masters with northern and Italian renaissance masterpieces on the second floor. A new addition of stairs taking you up to the roof makes for a nice pause to take in the views across the river before you continue discovering the art in the rest of the floors.

Frankfurt Cathedral, also known as Kaiserdom, is a stunning Gothic-style Catholic cathedral that boasts Renaissance frescoes and offers panoramic city views from its tower. It was once the tallest building in the city until skyscrapers like the Main Tower and Commerzbank Tower surpassed it. Dedicated to St. Bartholomew, this Roman Catholic church played a significant role in the Holy Roman Empire's elections and coronations.
I'm not really into cathedrals or churches, but this one was really beautiful. The Gothic style really matched my style. Really nice work with rebuilding it after World War II. Even with many people you didn't have to wait to go inside. Definitely recommend that one.
Ola K — Google review
Beautiful cathedral. Really enjoyed the experience. I went to the top of the tower, the staircase is really narrow steep and long so be prepared for a bit of a hike but once you are at the top it's a full 360° view of the city. The price was quite reasonable I believe it was €5 per person but I could be mistaken. 10/10 if in Frankfurt this is a great place to go. There's also lots of historical buildings in the vicinity including places to eat or grab coffee. Great place to spend an afternoon.

recently visited Frankfurt’s main square and it was an unforgettable experience. The beautiful historic buildings create such a charming atmosphere, taking you back in time with their unique architecture. What truly amazed me was the sound of the church bells – so powerful and mesmerizing that it filled the whole square with a magical feeling. The Frankfurt Cathedral is stunning — full of history and beautiful architecture. Climbing the tower is totally worth it for the amazing city views! Inside, it’s peaceful and impressive, with lots of detail to admire. A must-visit if you’re exploring the old town!

Beautiful and awe-inspiring cathedral in Frankfurt. Majestic structure which has peculiar aesthetic finish, especially inside it. What strikes a visitor first is the marvellous collection of statues and paintings. It is not very spectacular when viewed from a distance but when you are inside you are wonder-struck at the great assemblage of rare statues and paintings. The tall columns and arches all add to the grandeur of the cathedral. The picture of St Bartholomew being flayed alive gives a shudder to you.

It’s a good thing to do when you visit Frankfurt. It’s free to enter, of course you can donate to the church whatever you want to donate. It’s not a lot inside, it’s very simple and peaceful.

Airport
Frankfurt Airport is a major international airport with convenient transportation options, including two stations for regional and long-distance trains as well as city shuttles. Located in the Rhine-Main region on the banks of the River Main, it serves as an important gateway to the vibrant city of Frankfurt am Main in Germany.
Frankfurt Airport is one of the best airports I’ve traveled through. It’s extremely clean, well-maintained, and efficiently run, which makes for a smooth travel experience even during busy times. The layout is modern and easy to navigate, with plenty of clear signage in both German and English. One thing that really stood out to me was the food – there’s a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and grab-and-go spots that go far beyond the typical airport fare. Whether you want a quick snack, traditional German dishes, or international cuisine, you’ll find plenty of good options. Security and customs were organized and moved at a steady pace, which I appreciated. There are also lots of comfortable seating areas, duty-free shops, and lounges that make long layovers much more enjoyable. Overall, Frankfurt Airport feels efficient, clean, and welcoming – a place where travel doesn’t feel like a hassle, but part of the experience.
Ryan W — Google review
Frankfurt Airport is one of Europe’s busiest hubs, and my recent experience there was overall very smooth. The security check was seamless, with plenty of personnel on hand to guide passengers on what items to remove, which made the process fast and stress-free. The check-in counters open only two hours before departure, which can be a bit inconvenient for early arrivals, but once open, everything runs efficiently. Inside, the airport is well equipped: Ample seating areas for waiting comfortably. Gaming stations for kids, which is a nice touch for families. A wide variety of duty-free shops offering everything from souvenirs to luxury goods. Interestingly, I found chocolates quite pricey, but perfumes and LEGO toys cheaper compared to Helsinki Airport, as well as many German and French stores. A decent selection of restaurants and cafés, catering to different tastes. The only drawback I noticed was the very limited number of water refilling points—I came across only one. For such a large airport with excellent other facilities, this was surprising and could definitely be improved.

The Ultimate Wide-Body Spotting Location! If your passion is catching the biggest aircraft in the sky—the Boeing 747s, Airbus A380s, A350s, and all the heavy wide-bodies—Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is an absolute must-visit. This is a five-star location purely for the sheer volume and variety of "big boys" passing through as the hub for Lufthansa and a major global cargo gateway. Best Spot for Arrivals (The Money Shot): Search for the "Autobahn Viewing Area" or "Luftbrückendenkmal" (Berlin Airlift Monument). This elevated spot near Zeppelinheim puts you directly under the flight path for approaches to the 25L/C runways. You get spectacular, frame-filling views of aircraft on short final. Bring a mid-range zoom (70-200mm) for incredible photos. Parking can be a short walk, but the reward is worth it. Best Spot for Takeoffs (Pure Power): Head to the "Runway 18 Viewing Platform" (also sometimes called "Take-off Site West"). This platform is specifically designed to get you over the fence for clear shots of heavy jets spooling up and thundering down the departure-only runway. The sight and sound of a fully loaded 747 or A340 rotating right in front of you is a legendary experience. Pro-Tip: Check the day's active runways online before you go to pick the perfect spot! This is an essential stop for any serious aviation enthusiast.

Frankfurt International Airport – One of Europe’s Best-Kept Travel Secrets I travel through Frankfurt International Airport every year, and every time it confirms one thing: this airport is in a league of its own. It’s clean, modern, calm, and extremely well-organized—a place where traveling becomes smoother and even enjoyable. Despite being one of Europe’s largest hubs, it never feels chaotic. Instead, there’s a flow, a rhythm, and a structure that just works. What stands out? ✔️ Fresh fruit always available – something that seems small but is so rare and appreciated by frequent travelers like me. ✔️ Next-level bakeries – truly some of the best I’ve seen in any airport around the world. ✔️ Spacious terminals with natural light and plenty of seating. ✔️ Quiet and peaceful atmosphere, even during peak hours. ✔️ A level of care and infrastructure that shows German precision at its finest. It’s the kind of airport where you don’t feel rushed, stressed, or lost. It’s built for travelers—those who move often, those who value quality, and those who appreciate thoughtful design. ⸻ Verdict: Frankfurt Airport might not be the trendiest, but it’s definitely one of the most reliable, refined, and pleasant international airports in Europe. If you travel often, this is the kind of place that makes a difference. A solid 10/10.

Frankfurt Airport is very large and busy, yet the lines move quickly thanks to the professionalism of the police and staff. The airport’s size means you should plan your transfer flights carefully.I think at least 2 hours and 45 minutes is enough time for a comfortable connection. Prices inside are generally high, but the facilities are clean, and the food and drinks are of good quality.
Omer Y — Google review
Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is undeniably Germany's primary international gateway and largest airport. While Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) serves the capital region and is a major hub, Frankfurt actually handles the most passenger traffic and operates as the main hub for Lufthansa and global alliances. For anyone connecting internationally or traveling to other parts of Europe, Frankfurt's size and efficiency make it the crucial transportation center in the German country.
Arunbhaarat — Google review
Decent airport but the security check waiting time is a lot and when you consider the size of the airport it takes a lot of time to get everything in order before your flight! So always plan to reach early when you are are travelling! Also if you are having a connecting flight here, make sure you have a layover of atleast 2.5 hours.
Arnab — Google review
We went for connection between US to India. Nice international airport with almost all international flight connection here. Information: lot of centers with TV on all corners Occupancy: it was a morning so less crowd. Restrooms: Lot of restrooms on every terminal and it’s clean and well maintained Transportation: Monorail between terminals, physically challenged with vehicles Food: between terminals you have Starbucks, Burger King, Falcon (bakery and coffee) good seating to see the flight landing and movement in the runway Rest or seating: there are ample recliner seats and bed to take rest for free in A or B which I have seen Smoking: dedicated area for it

I visited the Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main today 🌿 Such a peaceful oasis in the city. I really enjoyed wandering through the diverse plant collections, enjoying the lush greenery and the little hidden gems such as the charming ponds with fountains. The vibrant colors of the flowers were a delight and it was the perfect escape to connect with nature ❤️❤️❤️

Took my girlfriend on a date here and would happily return for more (both to the girl and the garden). The ticket price is well worth the experience, and I’d strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking to escape the cityscape into a lovely area of natural beauty. My only complaint was that it was so popular that many other people had the same idea I did, resulting in some over-crowding in a few of the areas. But overall, it receives 5 stars from me and a desire to return to lose myself there in the future.

Vast, almost otherworldly botanic gardens. Fascinating any time of the year if you have any interests in plants and botany. I went in autumn and the park was radiant with autumn colour. I went round clockwise from the Palmentgartenstrasse side and the think this was best. Started with nice lake views then onto the butterfly house and then the mind boggling greenhouses with various climate controlled zones.

Excellent botanical garden! Very large, with a wide variety of ecosystems. The tropicarium ranges from the Himalayan mountains to the deserts of South America. Above the waterfall there is a nice city view. In the underground grotto, there are aquariums with fish and plants from all over the world.

It is hard to describe the vibrant diversity of Palmengarten in Frankfurt. Palmengarten is a true treasure in the heart of Frankfurt. The range of plant life is incredible—from lush tropical greenhouses to peaceful rose gardens and desert cacti. Every section feels like a different world, all beautifully maintained and easy to explore. One of the highlights for us was the lake area, where we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of ducks! There were so many different species, all calmly swimming or waddling around—it added such a charming and lively touch to the serene atmosphere. We could’ve spent hours just watching them. The garden is perfect for a relaxing stroll, a romantic walk, or even a quiet solo visit. There are plenty of benches to sit and soak in the beauty, and the whole space feels peaceful yet full of life. Absolutely worth a visit if you’re in Frankfurt. A refreshing, scenic retreat with nature, beauty, and even some feathered friends!

Historical landmark
The Iron Footbridge, also known as Eiserner Steg, is a historic landmark in Frankfurt that offers stunning city views and is adorned with padlocks left by romantic couples. This wrought iron bridge was originally designed by Peter Schmick and constructed in 1868, connecting the Romerberg at Sachsenhausen neighborhood. Despite undergoing reconstructions over the years, it has maintained its original design.
This bridge is really cool, it is covered in love locks. It is pretty insane how some of these locks are all connected in ways I didn’t even think was possible. The bridge also offers beautiful views of the skyline and is pedestrian only. I recommend!

A perfect stop for travelers exploring Frankfurt! The Iron Footbridge (Eiserner Steg) is more than just a crossing — it’s a scenic spot where history, romance, and skyline views come together beautifully. I visited around sunset, and the reflection of the skyscrapers on the Main River was breathtaking. It’s a short walk from Römerberg, so it fits easily into any walking route around the old town. You’ll find plenty of people here — locals jogging, tourists taking photos, and couples leaving love locks on the railings. It’s one of those rare places that feels peaceful even when it’s busy. Tip: Visit early in the morning or near sunset for the best photos and fewer crowds. Bring a coffee, enjoy the fresh breeze, and take in the view — it’s a fantastic spot to feel the vibe of Frankfurt!
Ravindra G — Google review
Great place to take a walk. You can start with the bridge and then go through promenade. You can get there with an elevator, so it is accessible for people with disabilities. Really fine and pleasant view. You can also go sightseeing with a boat. Pretty cool place.

Magnificent place with excellent views. I came to know about this bridge by my favourite movie Bommarillu (Telugu/India). Got rain while I was on the bridge, but didn't affect much. There are some surrounding places good for memory.
Kini P — Google review
The iron bridge is a great sight. From the entrance to the other end, it is only a matter of a few minutes, but you will have covered an old iron bridge traversed billions of times. The bridge is a large one with wide steps leading to the entrance. Though it is a footbridge, it is wide enough for several people to walk side by side. It is also very good for photographs. It has become a landmark in Frankfurt. When we visited it, there were several other visitors proving that it is a popular tourist destination. Lovers used to leave locked padlocks on the bridge. Now there are tens of thousands of such locks on the bridge.
Dr G — Google review
This is such a wonderful core memory moment. Standing on the bridge watching the kids look at all the locks and then be delighted at the other side of the bridge to see a gentleman engraving locks. The perfect ending to our month in Europe

Stunning Views, Historic Charm – A Must-Visit Landmark in Frankfurt! The Iron Footbridge (Eiserner Steg) is not just a pedestrian bridge — it's a panoramic balcony to one of Germany’s most vibrant and modern cities, steeped in history, culture, and breathtaking riverfront views. Whether you're a traveler, photographer, or simply out for a walk, this spot is absolutely unforgettable. As you step onto the bridge, the city opens up before you in a perfect postcard scene. On one side, you see the striking skyline of Frankfurt — a rare fusion of historic architecture and glass-covered skyscrapers that make this city so uniquely beautiful. On the other side, the peaceful charm of Sachsenhausen invites you with its traditional German taverns, cobblestone streets, and warm ambiance. The Main River flows gracefully beneath, offering mesmerizing reflections of the buildings and the bridge itself. At sunset, the sky turns golden-orange and paints the water in magical hues — it’s an experience that stops you in your tracks. Whether it’s day or night, sunny or misty, the atmosphere here is incredibly serene. The bridge is also known for its "love locks", where couples from around the world have left behind tokens of love and memories. It adds a layer of intimacy and charm that makes it feel like more than just a place — it’s a symbol of connection, both physically and emotionally. Tip: It’s one of the best photo spots in Frankfurt — you can capture the river, the skyline, and the famous Frankfurt Cathedral (Kaiserdom) all in one frame. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch live musicians or street performers adding to the mood. Easy to reach, open 24/7, and completely free — the Iron Footbridge is the perfect spot for a romantic stroll, a moment of reflection, or simply enjoying Frankfurt’s dynamic blend of old and new. Highly recommended — a peaceful escape right in the heart of a busy city. Don’t miss it!

The zoo is very picturesque! Nicely decorated and great it is good for a weekend family activity. Lots of different animals from all corners of earth, but don't expect to see them all since their enclosures are very big and they often hide. The food is also great and I definitely recommend it!

Pretty great zoo, pretty quiet when I visited. Great variety of animals and species I had never seen before. Loved all of the birds! Pity the shops in the zoo were cash only though! But I enjoyed my time at the zoo with my photos. I would recommend but wouldnt need all day to visit!

The reptile and nocturnal houses were really cool! Coming from the United States there were a lot of animals I don't see very often in American zoos. It's small-ish in size but they really pack in a lot of animals without feeling like they're in small enclosures. We got here late in the day and spent about 2.5 hours here but we could've spent another hour or two.

What a fantastic day at the Frankfurt Zoo! A definite highlight for me was the penguin 🐧🐧🐧🐧 enclosure. They are so charming and fun to watch as they waddle around and swim gracefully in the water. The whole zoo is beautifully laid out with so many amazing animals to see. Highly recommend it for a perfect day out! ❤️❤️❤️

It's a small zoo, do not plan to visit for longer than two hours. It's nice but definitely not a destination. Small kids would enjoy a visit, it's not too full with people and you can easily get around on foot. Make sure to bring cash though if you're planning on having a snack (they do not accept anything else. Also Beware, the coffee at the park is a crime against humanity! The dark habitat and the reptile and rodent pavilion deserve a special mention, the animals all seem well taken care of and the enclosures look adequate for the inhabitants. Absolutely worth a visit.
Inna Y — Google review
We had been so looking forward to visiting the zoo in Frankfurt. But it was a complete disappointment. You had to look for a long time for a place to buy either coffee or something to eat. Where were the giraffes? Elephants, lions and tigers. We had been most looking forward to seeing them. There were none of these animals, so definitely not worth the money. So we left very disappointed.
Liskoertz A — Google review
On the good side, there are many kinds of animals, lush and pretty easy to walk around as it’s not too large. The downside was that it’s a bit worn down and old, we didn’t see any lions, tigers and other animals. One penguin looked like it was screaming and dying. Other guests were not too respectful to the animals, banging on the glass wall and pouring water on them. It’s fine for the price though, but 1,5 hours was enough.

The Frankfurt Opera is without question one of Europe’s finest cultural treasures. From the moment you step inside, you feel the blend of tradition and modernity that makes this house so unique. The acoustics are outstanding – no matter where you sit, the sound is rich, balanced, and powerful, allowing every detail of the orchestra and singers to be fully appreciated. The productions are consistently world-class. The repertoire strikes an impressive balance between beloved classics and bold contemporary works, offering something for both seasoned opera lovers and newcomers. Stage design, lighting, and direction are often daring and innovative, yet always respectful of the music and story. The orchestra performs with extraordinary precision and warmth, and the ensemble cast is among the strongest in Europe, with many performances easily rivaling those in Vienna, Berlin, or Milan. The experience is not only about the performance itself. The atmosphere in the foyer is elegant but not pretentious, with a welcoming feel that makes the evening special. Staff are professional and helpful, from ticketing to ushers, contributing to a smooth and enjoyable visit. The venue is also centrally located, making it easy to combine a performance with dinner or a walk through Frankfurt’s lively city center. I watched a performance of Sweeny Todd. Outstanding performances from the whole cast and crew. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole show. The theatre itself is easily located and spotted from the street. The interior layout goes to the basement of the building with a bar on each of the two subfloor level to accommodate the balcony and general audiences. A dedicated coat check line leaving the theatre would have eased some confusion from the guests wondering why the line wasn't moving up the stairs. Otherwise the theatre was excellent and I would love to return for another show.

Not very big, but rather charming and interesting theatre. The person doing the selection knows his job. The pieces played here are top notch. You won't make a mistake coming here at least once a month. Highly recommended!

Great theatre though the choice of productions in the last few years has been hit and miss in my humble opinion. Sister Act like which is on currently is great, despite an uninspiring set. Less good is the bar management - chaotic /disorganised- queue for interval drinks blocking way for people wanting to get to bar (and toilet). Would be easy to solve and make the pre-show experience less stressful (and more profitable for the theatre).
BJ V — Google review
Sehr schönes Theater. Gute Auswahl an Stücken. Tolle Bar mit einer guten Gin Auswahl. Nice theatre with regularly changing good and interesting plays. Especially the musicals are my favorites. The cast changes with the plays and were always really good. The bar is nice and has a good selection of gin and an ever changing cocktail list aligned to the plays. It's a must visit if you are in town.

The English Theatre has quite a unique approach, and it really works (imagine, in contrast, if there were "The Spanish Theater" in the USA and how that might work with natively English speaking, non-Hispanic Americans). We saw an excellent production of "Jekyll and Hyde," with actors who were either native English speakers or who otherwise spoke flawless English with a light British accent. Tickets were relatively easy to purchase online, but we did need to have access to a printer (no app or web based option to display the bar code on a movie phone). The theatre has a trendy looking, club like bar area with many drinks, including the local Frankfurt favorite, apple wine (apfelwein). But check the sheets on the walls of the bar, as they also offered 3 mixed drinks that were comically named to suit the musical. Staging was beautifully planned while mechanically simple, with multiple levels and side paths that kept actors (some of whom doubled as background singers and musicians) in view much of the time as they visible moved behind the scenes, on the stairs, or along the balcony. Overall, heartfelt acting and singing from a dedicated cast, and a wonderful evening in downtown Frankfurt (and just minutes away from the main train station and many restaurants).

Just watched the Cabaret at the English theatre and found myself several times in absolute silence and awe. An exemplary display of dancing and dialogue skills and what i could consider as true Art. The Jewish Museum Frankfurt, located in the 19th-century Rothschild Palais with a modern extension, offers a compelling narrative of Jewish history. Opened in 1988 to commemorate Kristallnacht, it showcases over 900 years of Jewish life and culture in Frankfurt. The museum features exhibits on Anne Frank and houses a state-of-the-art research library. It provides an engaging and emotional perspective on Jewish life from the 1800s to the present day.
The Jewish Museum in Frankfurt has a cool modern wing, and part of it is in the old Rothschild family house. The building itself is pretty unique, though the layout is a bit funky—exhibits start at the top and go down, and the signs don’t really help you figure out the flow at first. But the exhibits themselves are pretty cool, with some creative touches like using transparency and RFID tags to interact with the displays. Even if you don’t speak German, it’s definitely worth checking out for the architecture and exhibits (plus most of the stuff is in both German and English). There’s also a cute café with Jewish-inspired food if you're hungry.

Highly recommend the Jewish Museum not just for the exhibits but for the delicious, flavourful and delectable vegan food. The photo is of the Chaime (with Tofu). It is spicy and yummy! Come here and check out the restaurant on level 1 Life Deli. Best food in Germany!

Just came back from a great half day at the museum. Quite modern and clean look. Lots to read up on, can spend hours and hours here. Lots of security and a police vehicle outside, but the museum was fairly quiet and peaceful. Very wide collection and incredibly informative on not only Jewish history of Frankfurt (which is far more expansive than I ever thought, with the Rothschild’s and Franks) but also general Jewish customs. Cool interactive features too. Loved my time here and if I am ever unfortunate enough to end up in Frankfurt again, I know one nice and interesting place one could spend some time.

Very good idea to have a Juish museum in Frankfurt. There are things that could be better in terms of organization and display . The film in the pictures couldn’t be seen so some table displays that couldn’t be seen because of the reflections. Every thing can be changed to make it better.

I recently visited the Jewish Museum in Frankfurt and had a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, making the visit even more enjoyable. The museum itself is spread across three floors, with the top and middle floors being my personal favorites. There was a wealth of information on display about Jewish culture and history, including some personal family stories that were particularly touching. While the bottom floor didn't appeal to me as much, the overall museum was a great educational and cultural experience. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in learning more about Jewish history and culture.

The Jewish Museum Frankfurt am Main is the oldest independent Jewish Museum in Germany. It was opened by Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl on 9 November 1988, the 50th anniversary of Kristallnacht. The Jewish Museum collects, preserves and communicates the nine-hundred-year-old Jewish history and culture of the City of Frankfurt from a European perspective. It has a permanent exhibition at two venues: the Museum Judengasse at Battonstraße 47 focuses on the theme of the history and culture of Jews in Frankfurt during the early modern period; the Jewish Museum in the Rothschildpalais at Untermainkai 14/15 presents Jewish history and culture since 1800. The museum was refurbished and expanded between 2015 and 2020.

A trip to the museum can evoke a wide array of emotions in my opinion! My experience at the Jewish museum has been thoroughly incredible, the captivating architecture and calming atmosphere of the material used was astonishing. Quite contemporary setting and complex arrangement, yet interesting! Nonetheless, the presentation of the exhibits is informative as they use different methods to present informations. Interactive screen touch, sensory recordings and visual recordings and pictures.

What an amazing heritage site filled with treasured stories of Frankfurt Jewish life before and after the Holocaust. I highly recommend visiting this museum. The active audio display of reciting the names of the current hostages is moving and makes people of all creeds and ages, stop and remember the hostages and hope and pray for their swift return. The current room dedicated to Kibbutz Nir Oz is extremely impactful and moving!

Fantastic museum full of interactive physics and visual exhibits for kids. I took my 2 year old and she could have spent the entire day there.

Bought tickets online the same day and was able to just walk-in. Great visit, not overcrowded and the parking lot on site made it even better. We were able to get hands on experience with everything my little one wanted. She was so excited to try everything even repeat many of the experiments. As an avid science lover myself this was a wonderful experience. The staff even demonstrated some of the experiments if the child needed assistance. The cafeteria was clean and the staff was very friendly. I can’t wait to come visit again during the shows on a Friday.
Jessica B — Google review
We recently visited the science museum with our 5-year-old, and while there were some positives, there were also a few things families might want to know ahead of time. The Good: The staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The entrance fee was reasonable, and overall, the experience was enjoyable for our child. Many of the exhibits are hands-on and engaging, especially for younger kids with lots of curiosity. What Could Be Better: Ventilation: It was quite warm inside (about 26°C outside), and with no active ventilation besides a few open windows, the air felt stale with a bit of that old-building or library smell. Accessibility: We only saw stairs at the main entrance. If there’s an accessible entrance, it wasn’t clearly marked. The elevator required a staff key to operate, and no staff were nearby to assist at the time. Several exhibits were either unclear in how to use or simply not working. Some looked a bit worn down or out of order, which made it harder to fully enjoy the experience. We didn’t find a café or snack area, though that could’ve been our oversight. Still, it’s good to know in advance that bringing snacks might be a good idea—especially with young kids. While the museum has its flaws, it was still a fun outing for our 5-year-old, and there’s definitely value in what you get for the price. With a bit of upkeep and clearer signage, it could be a fantastic spot. For families planning a visit, just come prepared: bring snacks, water, and maybe a bit of patience.

Classroom-like workshop in many rooms. I thought it would be more interesting since it’s in Germany. I would recommend only for kids in younger ages.

One of the best interactive museums for kids! Many of the activities are engaging for adults as well. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The street in front of the museum is also beautiful, with two rows of trees lining the road and a tram running gracefully between them.

It is good for the kids and also sometimes some parents enjoy together with their kids at this place. Many scientifically and experimentally things available that help kids to understand the concept. For full enjoyment and entertainment, come early as possible.

The Frankfurt Archaeological Museum, located in a restored monastery, offers a comprehensive exploration of the city's history from the Neolithic to early modern eras. It is one of the must-see attractions in Frankfurt, along with other landmarks like Romerberg and Stadel Museum. The museum reflects Frankfurt's commitment to cultural participation by offering free admission to young visitors under 18 through the Kultur- und Freizeitticket (KUFTI) program.
Very interesting museum especially the exhibition on German internment camps that have been excavated in recent years and this part of museum has English subtitles Rest of museum interesting too but all in German which is not a problem with goggle translate Well worth a visit and the building itself is stunning

Very nice museum with interesting exhibits and impressive displays of architectural history. However, many things weren’t translated into English, which made it hard to fully understand everything. The staff were super lovely and helpful, and the building itself is beautiful. Worth a visit if you’re into architecture!

New Old Town in Frankfurt, also known as Frankfurts Old Town, is a district that was partly destroyed during World War II but has been restored to its prewar look. The area features ornate townhouses and medieval buildings, giving visitors a glimpse of how Frankfurt once looked. Notable landmarks include the Alte Oper opera house and the iconic Haus zur goldenen Waage.
It is the heart of the city. Basically after Dom and all other beautiful things you end up here. It is very touristic but still quite nice and peaceful. There are lots of decent restaurants all around where you can enjoy.

The buildings that were destroyed during the war have been reconstructed to match the aesthetics and architecture of the old building. Every building has a story to tell and history to reveal. There are a lot of cafes and shopping spots here. It was amazing walking along the buildings
Abhishek K — Google review
Loved it here, the square was so pretty and relaxing. A few lovely restaurants, most wanted you to have food and wouldn't just serve drinks, but we did find one at the end that was happy to just serve drinks. The square was smaller than I anticipated but the river walk, the iron bridge, boat trips, and bars along the river were amazing, really welcoming and buzzing with music and people, such a great atmosphere. I visited for a long weekend and spent each evening beside the river. The shops had a good range of souvenirs as well as practical items, and no matter where we went out who were spoke to, everyone was so friendly, informative and welcoming, even with my very poor attempts at speaking German.

It’s nice that they could reconstruct the old town. However I think they could’ve brought back more buildings, the old town is small, but it is cute. Just a shame they didn’t make it bigger, but it’s still nice.

The Deutsches Romantik-Museum, which opened its doors in September 2021, is a captivating tribute to German Romanticism. Managed by the Freies Deutsches Hochstift—an institution dedicated to promoting public education since 1859—the museum boasts an impressive collection of manuscripts, letters, and paintings that have been gathered since 1863. Visitors can delve into the essence of this pivotal era through engaging multimedia exhibitions that showcase original artifacts.
A fascinating museum full of romantism, it's history, origins and influence on various fields be it art or science. I loved the gentle paintings, and was totally captivated by the black-and-white "Faust und Gretchen, Marthe und Mephisto im Garten" oil painting by Theodor Pixis. The museum is full of interesting books, including old fairy tales, and there are several cozy corners where you can sit and enjoy a book in serenity. The information is provided in German and English, I loved the touchscreen tablets, especially the one that provided information about the illustrations and the interactive map of Romanticism. I promise, you can't get bored in this museum! Be ready to spend at least two hours here and don't forget to anser some interesting questions and leave your mark on the "wall of answers". The entrance ticket fee is 10€ and includes a visit to the Goethe House.
Mariam H — Google review
This is the best thematic museum I’ve ever visited anywhere in the world. It is overflowing not only with beautiful paintings and cleverly crafted displays, but marvellous ideas on life and art that still resonate today. It is also a brilliant two for one deal as you get both Goethe’s house and garden, as well as the truly inspiring Museum of German Romanticism. In the latter the revolutionary poetic ideas of Novalis, the Schlegel’s and many other poets, philosophers and artists are brought to life. It captures at the same time a high point of German culture, as well as an international movement which continues to inspire people around the world. If you are in any way interested in art, poetry, philosophy, culture or the history of ideas, don’t miss this extraordinary place.
Nick W — Google review
Just next to the Goethe House is the German Romantic museum about an era in literature and arts that emphasized the natural beauty of the world around us. The museum follows this essence of the historic Goethe House, and combines it with a more contemporary interpretation of the romantic mindset. Makes for a very interesting visit, both visually and intellectually. I recommend visiting these two museums together as they are intertwined.
Andreas P — Google review
Newly reopened museum attached to the Goethe House. The architecture by Mäckler Architekten is a little bit too postmodern for my taste, although it does fit in well with the Goethe House and features a spectacular staircase. The exhibits themselves are a treasure trove of information on the romantic era. I liked the painting gallery on the second floor particularly well. The current exhibition on the forest (Wald in German) is also quite inspiring and interesting and demonstrates how forests were seen in a new and different light since the romantic era. Don't miss the three paintings by Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840) on the third floor.
Nils P — Google review

Emma R — Google review
This is a wonderful museum. I waited until my last day in Frankfurt to visit it expecting it to be "just" a pretty house of a famous author and an exhibit with lots of (wonderful but static) Romanticist texts in German. I was firstly surprised by the house (it was one of the most elegant in its day such that the French city administrator decided to live there during the Seven Years War). Then I really appreciated the Museum which broadened my appreciation of the Romanticist movement beyond its roots in anti-cosmopolitan, nationalistic and medievalist nostalgia. Though mass identity and difference are partly modern ideological constructs, Romanticism promotes a fascination with otherness and not just a fear of being contaminated or oppressed by it. There was too much to see, and well presented, so much that I stayed for 2.5 hours and had to rush through two floors. I recommend using the QR code on your ticket and the guided tour (DE/EN) on the website (clockwise sequences on most floors). There are info sheets in each room in other languages. Most of the stuff is translated quite well (as one might expect in a museum which convincingly presents Schleiermacher' theory of translation), thought the titles of many paintings and literary works are provided only I. German. Suggestions: (a) make the itinerary clearer (staircases, toilets, elevator are a bit hidden or not clearly indicated from the entrance hall), (b) some critical reflection on the new populist (antiglobalist and xenophobic) use (and misuse) of Romanticist themes today could be interesting.
René M — Google review
This is the best museum I have ever, ever been to!! Especially if you are interested in the German romanticism and want to immerse yourself in the time spirit (in a romantic jargon “Zeitgeist”), this place is perfect for you. All the small details are carefully designed - romantic words on the wall, small paintings… - leading to a world that is created 200 years ago, and is still continued even today. I can spend a whole day in it!

Great place if not for the greedy owner. Charging 5 EUR cover? Seriously?! People are already paying for the overpriced drinks. Wouldn’t expect less from the owner of Gibson.

A great place to try out different kinds of cuisines. Though, a bit difficult to reach by public transport, but worth it. All necessary amenities nearby

Student dormitory
Student housing center
Yugo Alvarium in Frankfurt-Bockenheim offers 264 studio apartments in 17 different styles, catering to the needs of students. The property features a private roof terrace, modern gym, cinema, and games room. Its proximity to Goethe University makes it an ideal choice for students. Guests have praised the cleanliness of the rooms upon check-in and have formed strong connections with neighbors. The staff, particularly Hausmeister Rico, has been commended for their caring and supportive nature.
I had a wonderful stay at Alvarium. The building was very clean, well-equipped, and in a great, easily accessible location. I would like to sincerely thank Debby for the excellent services provided as a System Manager and for selecting such a professional team, including Ruth, Julia, and Farideh. Their support made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Lived here for 1.5 years. They took almost full deposit and besides regular cleaning and wall painting fees (athough they do nothing with the walls), they charged me a new mattress for 400 euros. I am sure the same mattress is still there. At initial check, I've been told that the room is completely fine and after I left the country they sent me the letter saying they are taking 1000 euros from my deposit. Awful.

I had a wonderful experience living at this apartment. The location is fantastic, with easy access to public transportation and everything you need close by. The facilities are excellent, offering everything including study room, gym, games room and cinemas. The management team, especially Johannes, is incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any needs. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a great place to live.
Qinyue W — Google review
Took me 8 months for me to get my deposit back after leaving because the finance/accounting department is just incapable. In the end, after being patient with them for so long, I decided to let them know I will be pursuing legal options to get my money back, they miraculously started doing their work. Another episode was when my package was stolen from the main lobby. This main lobby has many CCTV cameras but they decided to put their package collection spot within the camera's blindspot, such that even after having many cameras, they are unable to provide basic security for the items there. Turns out that common sense isn't as common anymore, certainly in Alvarium

This place is pretty good!! - very well located, all public transportations, grocery stores and shopping near by - the rooms are very nice and everything is included what you need for living - Office availbility is also very good, they take the parcels for you and you can borrow vacuum cleaners and iron boards - it is pretty easy to get a room compared to the city What is not so good: - air conditioning of the Apartments could better especially in the summer it iş too hot - study room equipment is not comfortable In all I can highly recommend this accommodation. Many thanks also to Johannes for taking care and managing all things.

I don’t understand all the negative reviews under here—I absolutely love my stay here so far! The size of the room is perfect, and everything was clean when I first checked in. It didn’t take too long to warm up to my new home. I’ve made such amazing friends with my neighbours here and the staff here is super sweet and caring, especially the “Hausmeister” Rico (bonus since he also comes from the Philippines). Every time I had an issue, they helped me. The facilities are good, and the laundry room is quite spacious. But the best of all is the rooftop—you get such a beautiful view up there. The location is also perfect. I have access to so many modes of transportation so it’s super convenient to get around the city, even by walking! If you’re an international student looking for an accommodation, Yugo should definitely be an option! Urbanum is also a really great accommodation, but I’ve grown to love it here in Alvarium.
Bella X — Google review
I recommend this place as I got a lot of support from the staffs here. Every time I had little problems in the house, the staff will come up the next day and fix all the problems. The most impressive fact was that when I was in a trouble, they helped me out immediately to solve the problem. They made sure every time I feel fine and feel safe. The apartments' common rooms are getting cleaned very regularly and the corridors are always clean. The rooftop view is amazing indeed. This place is well connected to the city, Goethe Uni and Frankfurt School. There's tram, train, bus stops very close to the place so it is very conveinient for students and workers both. When you have a night out with friends till late, it won't cost much to take a taxi and come back here since it's close to the city center. If you are new from another country or another city, it's a definite plus to live in here as you will get a big support from this place.
Habeen P — Google review
I lived here more than a year. The fire alarm was going off regularly also at 3am during sleep. It drove me crazy. When you move out, they will find any single reason to charge you. There was this one Greek look like working student from another Yugo company, super rude. He just moved all furnitures (even behind the bed - where a woman cannot move the bed so easily and clean as it is heavy) and started to look for any single dust. If he finds it (200 euros for cleaning fee, he charges it with rude attitude. “Yep 200 euros for cleaning~, walls are not clean enough so 500 euros for that”. Like so many people that I know got ripped off just like that. He was very aggressive to me. I’ve never been so threatened like that as if I’m a prisoner in a jail just for checking up for moving out lol. I don’t know if this is some kind of scam or gangster business, this is not how you treat students. I do not recommend this accommodation unless you want to lose 1000 euros from your deposit. And I’ve seen at least more than 50 people (only from that I know) who got ripped off. Please be nice to yourself and get a better place. Flag and Yugo both do this kind of rip off service.

Felixx student Frankfurt am Main - Athener Str. - former SMARTments student - Studentenwohnheim in Frankfurt is a centrally located student accommodation that offers a safe and secure living environment with all-inclusive amenities. The apartments, though not the largest at 18sqm, are fully furnished and ideal for students new to the city. The building managers are friendly and helpful, making it a great place to make connections in the city.
I stayed there for over 2 years. Location is perfect, since you have good connection to every part of the city. Apartments are small but cosy and fully furnished, perfect for foregin students.

Smartments can be your great start for something in Frankfurt. the dorm is diverse, central and a great start in your German journey. I would specially love to thank Mr. Mandalgio for his kind service and outmost proficiency throughout my time in Smartments.

Great location! The apartments aren't the biggest (18sqm) but they are equipped with all the necessary furniture and they are perfect for people trying to get a new start in the city or for students that newly moved to the city. The building managers are always friendly and helpful and it's also a good place to make some first connections in the city for people that are new. I lived in these apartments myself for a couple years during my studies and I can only recommend it.
JD S — Google review
Pro -Perfect Location in Gallus! It’s by far the cleanest and safest district. All the buildings around you are just recently constructed and it feels very modern -the apartments are located in between a hotel so you don’t really hear any cars and it’s very quiet -the hallways are always illuminated and there are cameras -there’s a bus station in front of the apartments that brings you directly to the Hauptbahnhof -the Skyline plaza is literally a 2min walk away and there’s a supermarket, H&M, Zara, Mango etc. -the janitor is super nice and very helpful 😊👍🏻 Con -there’s a kindergarten downstairs and the kids scream. I think it closes in the afternoon, not sure how they handle going outside in the winter months -there‘s no elevator in all buildings, that’s maybe annoying if you live in the higher floors -you may hear your neighbors as you always do if you live in such close proximity. Although the walls are thick, you can still hear noise from talking/music/walking around so that’s something to consider if you’re noise sensitive -there’s no oven in the apartment but in the common kitchen .

The best living experience I’ve ever had abroad. The Housemaster is professional, warm, friendly, positive, very helpful and makes tenants feel at home. The administration is prompt in responding to queries. The location is perfect. Highly recommended!
Roshnee M — Google review
I stayed in the residence for 6 months. The only thing that is in my mind is the Excellent overall. The studio (~18 sqm) was in a great condition with modern furniture and great storage places. I had a huge load of things and I still managed to have some empty space. The caretakers were very friendly and helpful, but most importantly with a very human behavior. They assisted me in all my requests (They were even bringing me my packages or the vacuum cleaner in the apartment when I was at work, so that I could find it when I was coming back). Especially for the International tenants, Mr Mandaglio will be your "key person" as he speaks great English and alongside Mr Hoffmann he will make your stay as smooth as possible. As for the safety, I always had the feeling of security in this modern and safe building with firm doors and locks. Finally, the entire management team is very ethical and legit, they do not try to "force" any damages or "costs" like in other residences (this "technique" is well known in many residences). I received my guarantee in full in a very short time after my checkout. As I said in the beginning, a great overall and a big thanks to Smartments !

I have been in Frankfurt for one year as an erasmus student and I highly recommend this place to stay while studying here. The appartment has everything you need: The kitchen has a lot of things and enough space to cook and you have a private bathroom (something really difficult to find in other resicencies in Germany). The desk and the closet are really big with a lot of space to put all your stuff and the bed is extremely comfortable. The location is another plus: It is one of the best areas in Frankfurt. You have an incredible shopping centre 3 min away and the Ubahn, Tram and bus stops are also really close. It is also 10 min walking from the central station. Both caretakers are incredibly attentive and friendly and will help you with everything you need from the beginning to the end of your staying. As I have said, the quality and the treatment you receive in this place are awesome and I encourage you to choose it if you come to study to Frankfurt.

Location: 10/10 > bus stop is directly in front of the apartment and goes straight to the central station, tram station is ca. 8 mins away > Skyline Plaza (with supermarket) is ca. 3 mins away > the area feels safe and is (usually) quiet Apartment: 8/10 +ves > building manager is always helpful👍🏻 > price worthy as rent is equal to staying in a shared house > apartment size may not be huge but there is alot of storage space so it still feels spacious -ves > no elevator in the buildings > can be noisy in the morning through the afternoon as there is a kindergarten below (bearable enough for me if windows are closed) > can hear neighbours talking in the rooms at times or people walking in the hallway

Food has some improvement potential drinks are nice atmosphere also nice good visuals of atmosphere and beverage but many broken seats and dirty bathroom. Staff are partially kind but I assume they’re short on staff cuz some of them are just tired probably working overtime. Overall good 👍 worth a visit and make some pictures.

(Translated by Google) The food and drinks were excellent. The prices are also absolutely reasonable, considering Frankfurt standards and the pleasant ambiance. The service was good overall, but there is still room for improvement: At times, we had to ask several times to be served. This is due to the system in which each table is only served by one specific server, making it impossible to order from other employees.

(Translated by Google) Excellent spot! You have to find it carefully because it's located at the very top of the parking lot and it's not well signposted. The space is pretty, the view is beautiful, the music is good but not loud, and it's a great time. The service isn't top-notch, so you have to be patient. Remember to make a reservation if you're coming after 8 p.m.; spaces are limited! (Original) Excellent spot !
