Observation deck
In Frankfurt, there are numerous attractions and activities to explore, including the Main Tower. This skyscraper offers unparalleled panoramic views of the city from its public viewing observatory. Visitors can admire iconic buildings such as the Commerzbank Tower, Deutsche Bank Twin Towers, and Trianon while taking in the 360-degree vistas. Additionally, Main Tower features a restaurant and bar just below the observation deck, providing an opportunity to savor both cuisine and scenery.
Breathtaking 360° View of Frankfurt – Well Worth the Visit! An absolutely stunning 360° view of Frankfurt awaits you from the rooftop! It’s one of the best places to take in the city skyline from above. Tickets can be purchased directly at the entrance—€9.00 for adults. The staff was very friendly and professional. While there can sometimes be a queue at the entrance, it was thankfully quiet when I visited. Security is well organized—your bags are scanned before heading up in the elevator. There’s even a toilet available on the 54th floor, just one level below the rooftop, which is convenient if you need it during your visit. Overall, it’s a must-do in Frankfurt, especially if you’re into cityscapes and photography. Highly recommend visiting on a clear day for the best experience!
JOSE P — Google review
Great views from up there, but it was way too windy. the ticked was only 9€, the linie to buy the ticket there was not long, the people that work there are super niceee Ofc its worth to go up there once you are in Frankfurt, i would prefer it nights too.
V — Google review
Amazing views of Frankfurt! The Main Tower Observatory is a must-visit — super fast elevator, friendly staff, and the view from the top is incredible. You can see the whole city, the river, and even the hills in the distance. I went during the night and the view with city lights were beautiful. Totally worth it! It’s €9 for adults to go up the elevator with unlimited time at the top. So you can stay as long as you want. You will need to go through a security checkpoint first before getting on the elevator Overall, extremely worth the view if you are in Frankfurt!
Jack F — Google review
Worth visiting once. There will be sitting area as well. I recommend once. No time limit for staying top. Camera is allowed. Beautiful view from the top. Ticket price is 9€ per person. Toilets available.
Rajala M — Google review
Totally worth the visit! The view from almost 60 floors up is breathtaking, you can see all of Frankfurt and beyond! The platform feels safe and open, and the atmosphere is amazing, especially at sunset. A must-see if you’re in the city! And you go by elevator ofc! It takes 1 minute to go up. Also it has discount with Frankfurt ticket.

A very beautiful 360° sight of Frankfurt City from the roof top. I used my student ID and i got discount Ticket to go.The staff is very friendly and professional, there can be a queue at the entrance but when i went there were not a lot of people there. At the entrance your bags and will be scanned before proceeding to the elevator. There is a toilet as well on the 54th floor, a floor below the roof top just in case you might need a bathroom. You can buy ticket at entrance , normal ticket for adults €9,00 Discount Ticket is €6,00

A great observation tower offering a full panoramic view of Frankfurt. There’s an enclosed platform, and if you climb a bit higher, you’ll reach an open-air deck. A family ticket costs €20 — definitely worth visiting!

This building offers a perfect view of Frankfurt. Everyone should visit it to enjoy the city’s panorama. The entrance fee is €9 per adult, with discounts available for families. It’s located near the main square.

Located in the lively city of Frankfurt, Goethe House is the birthplace and childhood home of the renowned writer and politician Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Visitors can take a tour of this historical house featuring period interiors and exhibitions. The house offers a glimpse into Goethe's life, allowing guests to explore the rooms where he wrote his famous works. The collection includes original manuscripts, artwork, and personal belongings.
One of the must-visit tourist attractions in Frankfurt because it offers a deep insight into the life and times of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Visitors can explore the rooms where Germany’s most famous writer lived, see authentic furniture, and learn about his early inspirations. A great place for literature and history lovers.
IWA S — Google review
Historic Site of Goethe's House where he was born and spent his young life. Multiple languages available for explanation on items displayed through an APP. I recommend you bring your headphone/bluetooth. Tickets are €12 per adult. They have a family rate. You need to be able to walk up and down stairs a lot. Enjoyed the visit as I do admire his life.
Sung K — Google review
Combination of two museums under one roof: historic birthplace of Johann van Goethe and museum of German romanticism. Striking difference between meticulously restored residence of the poet with attention to details and period’s furniture and modern part of romanticism museum. If you are short on time, Goethe’s old house is a must and also first floor with paintings of the other museum.
Mike Z — Google review
Fascinating museum with great renovations! The house looks beautiful inside. They give you a map, which makes it super easy to explore each room. There’s also an upper museums with lots of interesting exhibits and interactive things to see. Definitely worth visiting! You can get a discount with the Frankfurt Card.
Freya N — Google review
Visiting the Goethe House was such a great experience—it truly feels like stepping back in time to see how Goethe lived. Every corner of the house is filled with history: the kitchen displays old dishes you may have never even heard of, the games they played are still there, and the architecture and atmosphere are unforgettable. Even the smell carries a sense of the past. I wish homes like this were still being built today, but sadly times have changed. We only had a short layover in Frankfurt, and since it was on a quiet Sunday, visiting here was absolutely worth it.
Soraya L — Google review
Much more to this museum than we expected! Wonderful restored home with period furnishings and original artwork. Descriptions were in both German and English so we could understand and enjoy it fully. Don't miss this when you are in Frankfurt!
Jenny C — Google review
Nice place to visit in Frankfurt. The house is well kept and gives a glimpse of Goethe’s life. Not too big, easy to explore in about an hour. Worth a stop if you enjoy history and culture 🏠📚
Supanee K — Google review
Had a 12 hour layover and decided to visit this museum. It was money well spent and an afternoon of delight stepping into every room and space of Goethe history! I love the old grandfather clock that still works and the chime thrills through the house of Goethe, standby every half hour. We kept missing it. Piecing together the story of Joseph in one of the rooms was therapeutic esp for someone who doesn’t speak or read German. Thank God for google translator. The visit has a calming effect like as though I was brought back in time. The large glass frontage featuring the garden offered two perspectives. One from the front and the other from the inside looking out. After all isn’t the arts about perspective?? There’s a cool and ancient water fountain that I manage to refill my water bottle. It was refreshing to drink from the tap and the charge of 24€ for two person was well worth the ticket price. We got more than what we paid for. There was also a special corner where I could place a music score on a special device where I could listen to narration of the music composition by Robert Schumann and actually listened to the music being played. It was interactive and amazing. Love the modernity without compromising the beauty of historical arts and the subtlety of tech being used. Totally awesome!! For those with bags in tow rest assured there is proper storage for you to be hands free. Storage is free.

The Städel Museum is a renowned art gallery in Frankfurt, Germany, featuring an extensive collection of European art from the Middle Ages to the present day. It is one of the must-see attractions in the city, offering visitors a journey through seven centuries of artistic expression. In addition to Städel, Frankfurt boasts other cultural institutions such as MMK for modern art, Liebighaus for sculpture, and Schirn for modern and contemporary exhibitions.
It is nice museum with multiple floors, famous art, and contemporary selections as well. We have spent the whole day. Toilets are nice and clean. The person at the first place before stairs was very informative and friendly 💐👍😀. Lockers are nice and have 1 or 2 € deposit. Roof top was nice. Strongly recommend seeing this museum 👌. It is a bit expensive though, 16 € per person.
Ahmet T — Google review
this is definitely a museum that you should take the time to see. They have three floors a various artist and art. It’s quite pricey. It’s €18 per person which I find expensive. entrance. People at the cashier were very nice. They were helpful. They also have bathrooms which were very clean a gift shop they also had a small café with a lovely young lady behind it who could speak English I’m always happy when that happens since I don’t speak German and I ordered a piece of the apple pie which she recommended and it was delicious and a cup of cappuccino. It’s a nice way to spend 2 to 3 hours enjoying the beautiful art.
Harriet M — Google review
Was skeptical it would be worth the 16 euro entry fee but for what you get, the price is reasonable or even cheap. The sheer scale of this place and the range in its collection is mind boggling. Beautifully curated. Temporary exhibition that was on at my time of visit was also very thought provoking. Exhibits range from religious paintings to contemporary paintings to sculptures to photographs and multimedia. I almost missed the underground exhibits but 100% make it a point to stop by. The modern experimental art is incredible (funded by various German institutions I believe). Genuinely could spend hours there. You can casually see famous artists works displayed. Lovely staff as well. 10/10. That’s how you do an art museum!!
Niko C — Google review
Had a nice experience and spent my time well. There was Carl Schuhe collection when I went and I really like it. Also went up to the rooftop and saw the city skyline. The cafe is also cozy and has good collection of cakes. 18 EUR well spent.
Sanchita S — Google review
Amazing museum with an incredible collection! You can see works by Rembrandt, Kandinsky, Bosch, and many others - really fascinating to explore! The contemporary art floor is also super interesting, full of creative and thought-provoking pieces. Everything is well organized and beautifully displayed. A must-visit for anyone who loves art! Also discount with Frankfurt ticket.
Freya N — Google review
Amazing collection of Classical, contemporary & Modern works of art. Easily able to spent 3 hours there. Also the view of Frankfurt skyline was very impressive. Didn't have to go to the Main Tower for it.
Josie B — Google review
An overall pleasant space surrounded by beautiful architecture, artistically designed staircase leading up to the rooftop terrace, overlooking the River Main and Frankfurt’s skyline. Stadel didn’t seem to have as many star attractions as some of the larger museums, but Schuch and French Art exhibition was an interesting theme. I downloaded their app to see if that would work as an audio guide, but it unfortunately didn’t work.
Ian K — Google review
This large art collection is heavy on the old masters with northern and Italian renaissance masterpieces on the second floor. A new addition of stairs taking you up to the roof makes for a nice pause to take in the views across the river before you continue discovering the art in the rest of the floors.

Palmengarten Frankfurt is a sprawling botanical garden established in the 19th century, featuring an impressive collection of palm and orchid species showcased within its greenhouses. This renowned attraction is part of the must-see sights and activities in Frankfurt, alongside other landmarks such as Romerberg, Stadel Museum, and Frankfurt Zoo. Visitors can also explore local culture through dining options and budget-friendly accommodations while indulging in shopping experiences at Zeil Shopping District or enjoying vibrant nightlife scenes.
I visited the Palmengarten in Frankfurt am Main today 🌿 Such a peaceful oasis in the city. I really enjoyed wandering through the diverse plant collections, enjoying the lush greenery and the little hidden gems such as the charming ponds with fountains. The vibrant colors of the flowers were a delight and it was the perfect escape to connect with nature ❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful garden, it's so soothing to walk here. Families with kids, couples and groups enjoyed the mood. Next time we'll visit them on weekdays because the crowd was huge. We anticipated amazing butterflies but there weren't many.
Noémi H — Google review
The palmengarten was absolutely stunning and well taken care of, lots to see and the atmosphere is amazing. Its a great place for all ages, they have an awesome play area for the kids too. I just wish there were more toilets but other then that the place is a must see
Ra'eesah S — Google review
Took my girlfriend on a date here and would happily return for more (both to the girl and the garden). The ticket price is well worth the experience, and I’d strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking to escape the cityscape into a lovely area of natural beauty. My only complaint was that it was so popular that many other people had the same idea I did, resulting in some over-crowding in a few of the areas. But overall, it receives 5 stars from me and a desire to return to lose myself there in the future.
William S — Google review
Vast, almost otherworldly botanic gardens. Fascinating any time of the year if you have any interests in plants and botany. I went in autumn and the park was radiant with autumn colour. I went round clockwise from the Palmentgartenstrasse side and the think this was best. Started with nice lake views then onto the butterfly house and then the mind boggling greenhouses with various climate controlled zones.
Robert O — Google review
Excellent botanical garden! Very large, with a wide variety of ecosystems. The tropicarium ranges from the Himalayan mountains to the deserts of South America. Above the waterfall there is a nice city view. In the underground grotto, there are aquariums with fish and plants from all over the world.
Lenka H — Google review
It is hard to describe the vibrant diversity of Palmengarten in Frankfurt. From the elegant glasshouse entrance to the lush tropical blooms, vivid cacti, and meticulously arranged flower beds, each image highlights the garden’s rich botanical variety and serene atmosphere. A perfect visual journey through nature’s beauty!
Clifton P — Google review
Palmengarten is a true treasure in the heart of Frankfurt. The range of plant life is incredible—from lush tropical greenhouses to peaceful rose gardens and desert cacti. Every section feels like a different world, all beautifully maintained and easy to explore. One of the highlights for us was the lake area, where we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of ducks! There were so many different species, all calmly swimming or waddling around—it added such a charming and lively touch to the serene atmosphere. We could’ve spent hours just watching them. The garden is perfect for a relaxing stroll, a romantic walk, or even a quiet solo visit. There are plenty of benches to sit and soak in the beauty, and the whole space feels peaceful yet full of life. Absolutely worth a visit if you’re in Frankfurt. A refreshing, scenic retreat with nature, beauty, and even some feathered friends!

The zoo is one of the top attractions in Frankfurt, alongside other popular sights like Romerberg, Stadel Museum, and Palmengarten. Visitors can immerse themselves in local culture and explore the city's vibrant restaurant scene.
The zoo is very picturesque! Nicely decorated and great it is good for a weekend family activity. Lots of different animals from all corners of earth, but don't expect to see them all since their enclosures are very big and they often hide. The food is also great and I definitely recommend it!
Nika Š — Google review
Pretty great zoo, pretty quiet when I visited. Great variety of animals and species I had never seen before. Loved all of the birds! Pity the shops in the zoo were cash only though! But I enjoyed my time at the zoo with my photos. I would recommend but wouldnt need all day to visit!
Jeremy A — Google review
The reptile and nocturnal houses were really cool! Coming from the United States there were a lot of animals I don't see very often in American zoos. It's small-ish in size but they really pack in a lot of animals without feeling like they're in small enclosures. We got here late in the day and spent about 2.5 hours here but we could've spent another hour or two.
Jordan B — Google review
What a fantastic day at the Frankfurt Zoo! A definite highlight for me was the penguin 🐧🐧🐧🐧 enclosure. They are so charming and fun to watch as they waddle around and swim gracefully in the water. The whole zoo is beautifully laid out with so many amazing animals to see. Highly recommend it for a perfect day out! ❤️❤️❤️
Ірина Ф — Google review
It's a small zoo, do not plan to visit for longer than two hours. It's nice but definitely not a destination. Small kids would enjoy a visit, it's not too full with people and you can easily get around on foot. Make sure to bring cash though if you're planning on having a snack (they do not accept anything else. Also Beware, the coffee at the park is a crime against humanity! The dark habitat and the reptile and rodent pavilion deserve a special mention, the animals all seem well taken care of and the enclosures look adequate for the inhabitants. Absolutely worth a visit.
Inna Y — Google review
We had been so looking forward to visiting the zoo in Frankfurt. But it was a complete disappointment. You had to look for a long time for a place to buy either coffee or something to eat. Where were the giraffes? Elephants, lions and tigers. We had been most looking forward to seeing them. There were none of these animals, so definitely not worth the money. So we left very disappointed.
Liskoertz A — Google review
On the good side, there are many kinds of animals, lush and pretty easy to walk around as it’s not too large. The downside was that it’s a bit worn down and old, we didn’t see any lions, tigers and other animals. One penguin looked like it was screaming and dying. Other guests were not too respectful to the animals, banging on the glass wall and pouring water on them. It’s fine for the price though, but 1,5 hours was enough.
Susannah R — Google review
Nice place. However almost every second sign next to an animal says: this species is endangered. Makes you a little bit sad. It is a good place to show people how serious the situation is in some countries.

Beautiful historical site. The Romer still stands in Frankfurt in all its majesty. This medieval building is perhaps the city's most important landmark. In the past it was regarded as the most beautiful square in Germany. Now it is a very popular square and a very good spot for photographs. Romer is the seat of the Frankfurt city administration. There was a sizable crowd there when we went to it. There was also some preparations going on for an upcoming national event.

The Römer is absolutely stunning - a must-see when visiting Frankfurt! The old town square around it is full of charm, with half-timbered houses, cafés, and plenty of photo spots. You really get a feel for the city’s history here. It’s especially nice in the evening when the lights come on, and during the Christmas market it looks magical. Easy to reach by foot or public transport, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. A perfect place to start exploring Frankfurt!

Visiting the Old Opera House in Frankfurt was truly a magical experience. As I approached the building, I was immediately struck by its grand architecture – the intricate details, the grand columns, and the way it majestically stands against the modern skyline. It felt like stepping back in time to an era of elegance and classical beauty. Inside, the atmosphere was equally enchanting. The acoustics were incredible, and whether it’s a concert or just a casual visit, the ambiance transports you to a world of music and art. I couldn't help but admire the beautiful chandeliers and classic interior design, which add to the timeless charm of the place. Overall, the Old Opera House is a must-see in Frankfurt, whether you're an opera enthusiast or simply looking to experience a piece of the city's cultural heritage. I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary!

First time entering this gorgeous building and it didn't disappoint. The staff were friendly and available , the auditorium spacious and acoustically good. You do need to take out a bank loan for a drink at the interval but all in all a great place for a show

The Frankfurt Opera is without question one of Europe’s finest cultural treasures. From the moment you step inside, you feel the blend of tradition and modernity that makes this house so unique. The acoustics are outstanding – no matter where you sit, the sound is rich, balanced, and powerful, allowing every detail of the orchestra and singers to be fully appreciated. The productions are consistently world-class. The repertoire strikes an impressive balance between beloved classics and bold contemporary works, offering something for both seasoned opera lovers and newcomers. Stage design, lighting, and direction are often daring and innovative, yet always respectful of the music and story. The orchestra performs with extraordinary precision and warmth, and the ensemble cast is among the strongest in Europe, with many performances easily rivaling those in Vienna, Berlin, or Milan. The experience is not only about the performance itself. The atmosphere in the foyer is elegant but not pretentious, with a welcoming feel that makes the evening special. Staff are professional and helpful, from ticketing to ushers, contributing to a smooth and enjoyable visit. The venue is also centrally located, making it easy to combine a performance with dinner or a walk through Frankfurt’s lively city center. Overall, the Frankfurt Opera offers an unforgettable experience that sets a high bar for musical and cultural excellence. Whether you are a devoted opera enthusiast or simply curious about the art form, a visit here is absolutely worthwhile.

Museums
Historical Museum Frankfurt, located in a building from the 1300s at Romer Square, has expanded with a new wing. The museum showcases over 600,000 artifacts and art pieces that depict Frankfurt's history from medieval times to the present day. Visitors can explore scale models of historic Frankfurt at different periods and witness photos of the city's devastation during World War II. The new wing seamlessly integrates with the historic architecture and features a cafe as well as panoramic city views from its top floor.
A great museum that really captures the essence of Frankfurt’s history. It does a fantastic job highlighting the key figures and characteristics that shaped the city. The collections section was my favorite. The staff were super friendly. I also picked up a lovely gift from the museum shop for my daughter. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Frankfurt!
Bakir Y — Google review
A very good museum with innovative ideas to present “boring” history. We decided to go during a weekday around noon. We didn’t have to wait to enter and received instructions on how to start the tour. We liked the approaches used to present the city history. Also suitable for kids (possibly the main target group).
George P — Google review
Comprehensive museum, covering vast sections of Frankfurt’s history. A great way to spend many hours learning all about Frankfurt, its early start and how it has become the money powerhouse of Europe. Beautiful exhibits with many interactive experiences. Friendly staff, good value for money
Cindy N — Google review
Just okay. Two of us paid about $16 Euro to enter the museum. There were 4 floors here. Floor 0 had a cafe, lockers and restrooms. We perused floors 1 - 3 and while there are some good historical items here, we found the museum to be laid out sort of oddly. The oddness may just be from our expectation of historical museums as often, they are laid out in a chronological order with signs and arrows directing you. This place was different. While we won't be back, I wouldn't dissuade anyone from coming here if they have the time and patience to explore it.
Jim B — Google review
The Museum is an absolute gem for anyone interested in history and culture. The exhibitions are incredibly well-curated, offering a deep and engaging look into Frankfurt’s past—from medieval times to the modern day. The museum layout is intuitive, and the interactive displays make the experience both educational and enjoyable. The building itself is a beautiful blend of historic and modern architecture.
Ethan L — Google review
It’s an inconsistent scattered museum. Feels like a high school exhibition where different study groups present projects after a course on Frankfurt history. One might wonder if Frankfurt is too boring to have a proper museum its history. I think that’s not the case. The city was e.g. the capital of the German Confederation from 1815-1866. I could not find that information anywhere in this museum. I would have liked to know more. Create different sections in a timeline for the guest to walk through. Build it like any other interesting history museum.
Viktor G — Google review
Like some commenters, I also found it hard to follow as the exhibits are organized around themes and not chronological. Might be ok for someone already familiar with the history but rather confusing for someone trying to actually learn more. English narratives are available but often you need to crouch real low to read as they are placed rather awkwardly. Still, it was a couple of hours well spent. Particularly enjoyed the stories of Theodore Michael and Walter Schreiber contrasted against each other, very thought provoking.
Zenani L — Google review
I liked how the museum covered different periods of history. They also had extremely clean bathrooms on the bottom floor near the cafe. Outside of the cafe was a beautiful and relaxing area to enjoy a nice cup of coffee.

Eschenheimer Turm, also known as Eschenheim Tower, is a unique 15th-century landmark in Frankfurt. It is the oldest unchanged landmark in the city and was designed by Madern Gerthener. The tower now houses a restaurant serving global cuisine, a cozy lounge, and outdoor seating. Located in Frankfurt's LGBTQ+-friendly area known as Bermudadreieck, it is surrounded by some of the best gay bars in the city.
Me and my friends had a wonderful dinner here! The Flammkuchen was absolutely delicious – we tried both the vegan option and the salmon prawn seafood one, and both were incredibly flavorful and perfectly prepared. The beer selection was excellent and hit the spot. Beyond the amazing food and drink, the staff was incredibly nice, providing great service throughout our meal. The atmosphere was truly fantastic, making for a really enjoyable evening. It was totally worth it, and we definitely plan to visit again soon!

Good food. Burgers, salad, bruchetta, champions all tasty. However, the humus seemed to be from a family pack / super market. Inside the restaurant was a bit too cool. The winter garden is smoking area with some hot spots. For parking choose a parking garage nearby. No toilet for wheelchairs.

Great landmark location directly at the Eschenheimer Turm/Eschenheimer tower. The restaurant is in the Eschenheimer tower, with great sitting space outside. The historic significance , built in the 1400s adds value to the space. Recommend the burger and fries, friends had the flame and seafood they also loved it. Opens until past midnight so available foe a late meal too.

Thought this was going to be a tourist trap with overpriced average food. How wrong was I? The best beyond meat vegan burger ever with side of fries dusted in paprika served on a brioche with mayo and ketchup on the side. It's in a historic tower in the middle of Frankfurt. The toilets are up the tower, so make sure you've got plenty of time. A really great experience.

During my stay in Frankfurt lastJune, I discovered near my hotel a lovely Coffee-Bar-Restaurant called Eschenheimer. Very good dishes with courteous and professional service. I chose the place to be my home restaurant so I had the chance to taste several dishes ... and each dish was a bingo! Meat, seafood, pizzas, interesting salads ... and great beers. i arrived to Frankfurt once again few days ago and I’m dining there almost every day lunch or dinner. I enjoyed being there on June and I’m happy to be there again this week !

Great place for a cocktail. Happy hour until 22:00. Be warned though the toilets are at the top of the tower! Service is quick and friendly. Prices are reasonable. There’s a cocktail happy hour 18:00-22:00 with many offered at a reduced price of €9.50. Didn’t have food but what other guests had looked good.

Fantastic place to enjoy some drink after dinner. There are many tables outside (blankets are provided for those who suffer cold) and the bar is inside a tall tower you can easy spot from the neighborhood. Sound strange, but I suggest you taking some time to "visit" the toilet that on the 1st floor of the tower (take care of the stairs if you enjoyed too much drinks)
Enrico P — Google review
This restaurant has something very special, is inside and around a tower which was build around the year 1346, the tower was used to protect the city at that time, today this tower at Frankfurt downtown and you can test great international food. Inside the tower, the space is reduced and there is space for the bar and few tables but as mentioned previously around the tower they have tables too, either you want to enjoy good food inside or outside the atmosphere of the place is really nice. What not everybody know is that in this restaurant if you have a bigger event or special occasion you can make a reservation of what they call „Kaminzimmer“ this place is at the top of the tower and has much more space and is really nice to enjoy your drinks and food at the top of the tower. The food that I recommend is the one on hot stones, I love the stakes, prawns or chicken but they have great salads, pasta, pizza, etc. for drinks as well they have a big selection of wines and cocktails. On regards price i think you pay for what you get that is a great experience, moment and good food and drinks. The staff is friendly just in crowded ours somethings you need to wait a little bit to get serve. If you are near to Frankfurt and you are looking for a special place where to enjoy good food and drinks don’t hesitate to visit the Eschenheimer Turn restaurant you will like it.

Frankfurt Cathedral, also known as Kaiserdom, is a stunning Gothic-style Catholic cathedral that boasts Renaissance frescoes and offers panoramic city views from its tower. It was once the tallest building in the city until skyscrapers like the Main Tower and Commerzbank Tower surpassed it. Dedicated to St. Bartholomew, this Roman Catholic church played a significant role in the Holy Roman Empire's elections and coronations.
I'm not really into cathedrals or churches, but this one was really beautiful. The Gothic style really matched my style. Really nice work with rebuilding it after World War II. Even with many people you didn't have to wait to go inside. Definitely recommend that one.

Beautiful cathedral. Really enjoyed the experience. I went to the top of the tower, the staircase is really narrow steep and long so be prepared for a bit of a hike but once you are at the top it's a full 360° view of the city. The price was quite reasonable I believe it was €5 per person but I could be mistaken. 10/10 if in Frankfurt this is a great place to go. There's also lots of historical buildings in the vicinity including places to eat or grab coffee. Great place to spend an afternoon.

recently visited Frankfurt’s main square and it was an unforgettable experience. The beautiful historic buildings create such a charming atmosphere, taking you back in time with their unique architecture. I even recorded a video to capture the moment, but being there in person was beyond compare. A must-visit spot in Frankfurt, full of history, beauty, and soul.

Beautiful and awe-inspiring cathedral in Frankfurt. Majestic structure which has peculiar aesthetic finish, especially inside it. What strikes a visitor first is the marvellous collection of statues and paintings. It is not very spectacular when viewed from a distance but when you are inside you are wonder-struck at the great assemblage of rare statues and paintings. The tall columns and arches all add to the grandeur of the cathedral. The picture of St Bartholomew being flayed alive gives a shudder to you.

St. Paul's Church, also known as Paulskirche, is a significant redbrick church in Frankfurt that serves as a memorial to the beginning of German democracy. It has been repurposed to host concerts and exhibitions. The original construction began in 1789, coinciding with the French Revolution. The church was where the first freely-elected legislative body in Germany, the Frankfurter National Assembly, convened in 1849.
Another unmissable place in the heart of Frankfurt. A spot for the first German parliament I can recommend the church to be visited. On the lower floor is a very interesting digital exhibition about the history of the building. The main room, the planery hall can be found on the upper floor. No entrance fee, recommended to go for it!

St. Paul's Church has come to symbolize German democracy since the first German parliament took place here in 1848 and 1849. The church itself was designed by Johann Andreas Liebhardt (1713-1788). It was rebuilt after World War II by the prominent German church architect Rudolf Schwarz (1897-1961). On the outer wall of the church, there are numerous monuments including for John F. Kennedy (who spoke in the church in 1963), Theodor Heuss, Friedrich Ebert, and Carl Schurz, among others. The church is used for the annual award of the peace prize of the German book trade association. You can see its numerous illustrious award recipients on two plaques on the inside of the church. The main room is decorated with the flags of the German states.

St. Paul’s Church in Frankfurt is a historically significant landmark renowned for its role in German democracy. It is a former Protestant church used as a national assembly hall. The church is particularly celebrated for hosting the first freely elected German parliament in 1848. The church's neoclassical architecture, with its impressive circular nave and red sandstone facade, adds to its visual appeal. Inside, the spacious and serene interior provides a contemplative atmosphere. However the interior is very basic, so you could skip it unless you participating in some event.

Museum MMK für Moderne Kunst, located in the heart of Frankfurt, is home to a remarkable collection of over 4,500 international works dating from the 1960s to the present day. The museum boasts pieces from legendary German collectors and regularly showcases emerging contemporary artists. One notable exhibition delved into the work of photographer Claudia Andujar, known for her profound exploration of the Yanomami culture in Brazil.
Phenomenal modern art museum designed by Hans Hollein (1934-2014). The building itself is always worth a visit with many fascinating views and angles. The exhibitions are always interesting as well. The current exhibition "There is No There There" does not disappoint either. It focuses on artists from foreign countries working in West and East Germany prior to unification.
Nils P — Google review
Really disappointing. The art pieces are boring and intellectually lazy. There were more security guards than visitors. The building is nice and its architecture is interesting though, that's why this museum gets two stars instead of one. If you like art, I'd rather recommend the Städel Museum which is much more interesting.

Interesting collection of Kunst work. Clean modern gallery which wasn’t too busy. Audio tour comes as part of your 15 euro day ticket. Free lockers for bags and coats. Great cafe too!
Caroline B — Google review
Just learned free admission to the museum on the last Saturday of every month, I went for a quick visit. Currently, works of Rosemarie Trockel are exhibiting till 18 June 2023. I am just a layman who do not know too much about classic or modern arts but still found some amazing pieces of art. For example, there are 2 creations made with electric cooking hotplates that are on and you can feel the heat from them. Amazing, isn't it? What more, I love the internal architecture of the museum with long stairways and spacious exhibition rooms very impressive and pleasing. In fact, the paints on the walls are art works.
Michael C — Google review
Loved the Trockel show. Building is a typical monstrosity privileging the design over showing art but what’s new… what is new is the nasty oppressive staff. You feel hunted by the security guards they must be trained to be angry and make sure there’s no joy in the air. Sad… guess it’s their thing. Great show however!!!
J. C — Google review
The architecture is somehow more interesting than the Exposition. I have been particularly captured by the contrast between huge white rooms and very tiny painting, forcing a sort of interaction with the art itself. Again, the building offers many occasions for looking around, from different perspectives, levels, from down, from up, from light to dark and vice versa. So, nice place to go to PS. The floor that looks "soft" is wonderful... :)
Laura P — Google review
One of the great modern art museums. The showing of Candy Nolan was particularly powerful - barriers erected in massive spaces let both the artwork & building speak deeply, and gave space to ponder. The staff were helpful and courteous. The central stairway is truly amazing and itself a work of art! The new cafe is excellent.

Was lucky to visit the retrospective of Hans Haacke there during its last week. The overall impression is very good: detailed and non-obvious curatorial texts and extremely friendly and nice staff. Would be coming back when I’m in Frankfurt.

After you find the entry (not very intuitive), you‘ll see a notice about a temporary closure. When you go to the new place (13 min by subway) they tell you that they don’t have an tickets yet — or an exposition (but that you can look at the building).

Must be place! Surprising and unusual items invite thoughtful evaluation and discussion. It's worth visiting this place regularly, as the exhibition changes periodically.

Great modern art museum with changing exhibitions. I enjoyed the current exhibition of Carol Rama (1918-2015), a pioneering Italian woman artist who only got recognized late in life. Rama definitely had a her own style although her triptych reminded me of Francis Bacon (1909-1992). Her artworks included both figurative and abstract works. The artist lived her entire life in Turin.

Amazing exhibition space, I've attended the Casablanca School exhibition, although the entrance and orientation was hard to follow, especially by the entrance and exit. The overall experience was pretty nice.

Due to renovation, The Schirn will move temporarily to Bockenheim. The location at Römerplatz will be closed until 2027. New temporary address: Zeppelinallee 13. Wish could give no stars for poor information about its closure.

Just been there today for their Marc Chagall exhibition. It is well organized but today was too crowded. We bought ticket at 12 pm and had to waited for 1 hour to get in, understandable. But once we got in it was too packed I mostly saw people’s back. LOL. Ticket is 14€. Audio guide is available only in German. Staffs are friendly thou.

Loved the idea behind this particular gallery based on unorthodox musical instruments. But I give 4 not 5 because it should be more clear to the public that to really enjoy the soul of the musical instruments mixed into your living space you had to be there for certain times of the day on certain times of the week. I saw a guitar made completely from parts of guns... Very cool

The Jewish Museum Frankfurt, located in the 19th-century Rothschild Palais with a modern extension, offers a compelling narrative of Jewish history. Opened in 1988 to commemorate Kristallnacht, it showcases over 900 years of Jewish life and culture in Frankfurt. The museum features exhibits on Anne Frank and houses a state-of-the-art research library. It provides an engaging and emotional perspective on Jewish life from the 1800s to the present day.
The Jewish Museum in Frankfurt has a cool modern wing, and part of it is in the old Rothschild family house. The building itself is pretty unique, though the layout is a bit funky—exhibits start at the top and go down, and the signs don’t really help you figure out the flow at first. But the exhibits themselves are pretty cool, with some creative touches like using transparency and RFID tags to interact with the displays. Even if you don’t speak German, it’s definitely worth checking out for the architecture and exhibits (plus most of the stuff is in both German and English). There’s also a cute café with Jewish-inspired food if you're hungry.
Milagros C — Google review
Highly recommend the Jewish Museum not just for the exhibits but for the delicious, flavourful and delectable vegan food. The photo is of the Chaime (with Tofu). It is spicy and yummy! Come here and check out the restaurant on level 1 Life Deli. Best food in Germany!

Just came back from a great half day at the museum. Quite modern and clean look. Lots to read up on, can spend hours and hours here. Lots of security and a police vehicle outside, but the museum was fairly quiet and peaceful. Very wide collection and incredibly informative on not only Jewish history of Frankfurt (which is far more expansive than I ever thought, with the Rothschild’s and Franks) but also general Jewish customs. Cool interactive features too. Loved my time here and if I am ever unfortunate enough to end up in Frankfurt again, I know one nice and interesting place one could spend some time.

Very good idea to have a Juish museum in Frankfurt. There are things that could be better in terms of organization and display . The film in the pictures couldn’t be seen so some table displays that couldn’t be seen because of the reflections. Every thing can be changed to make it better.

I recently visited the Jewish Museum in Frankfurt and had a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, making the visit even more enjoyable. The museum itself is spread across three floors, with the top and middle floors being my personal favorites. There was a wealth of information on display about Jewish culture and history, including some personal family stories that were particularly touching. While the bottom floor didn't appeal to me as much, the overall museum was a great educational and cultural experience. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in learning more about Jewish history and culture.

The Jewish Museum Frankfurt am Main is the oldest independent Jewish Museum in Germany. It was opened by Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl on 9 November 1988, the 50th anniversary of Kristallnacht. The Jewish Museum collects, preserves and communicates the nine-hundred-year-old Jewish history and culture of the City of Frankfurt from a European perspective. It has a permanent exhibition at two venues: the Museum Judengasse at Battonstraße 47 focuses on the theme of the history and culture of Jews in Frankfurt during the early modern period; the Jewish Museum in the Rothschildpalais at Untermainkai 14/15 presents Jewish history and culture since 1800. The museum was refurbished and expanded between 2015 and 2020.

A trip to the museum can evoke a wide array of emotions in my opinion! My experience at the Jewish museum has been thoroughly incredible, the captivating architecture and calming atmosphere of the material used was astonishing. Quite contemporary setting and complex arrangement, yet interesting! Nonetheless, the presentation of the exhibits is informative as they use different methods to present informations. Interactive screen touch, sensory recordings and visual recordings and pictures.

What an amazing heritage site filled with treasured stories of Frankfurt Jewish life before and after the Holocaust. I highly recommend visiting this museum. The active audio display of reciting the names of the current hostages is moving and makes people of all creeds and ages, stop and remember the hostages and hope and pray for their swift return. The current room dedicated to Kibbutz Nir Oz is extremely impactful and moving!

Historical landmark
The Iron Footbridge, also known as Eiserner Steg, is a historic landmark in Frankfurt that offers stunning city views and is adorned with padlocks left by romantic couples. This wrought iron bridge was originally designed by Peter Schmick and constructed in 1868, connecting the Romerberg at Sachsenhausen neighborhood. Despite undergoing reconstructions over the years, it has maintained its original design.
This bridge is really cool, it is covered in love locks. It is pretty insane how some of these locks are all connected in ways I didn’t even think was possible. The bridge also offers beautiful views of the skyline and is pedestrian only. I recommend!

Beautiful bridge with amazing views of the river and skyline! The Iron Footbridge is perfect for a walk, especially at sunset. You can see both sides of Frankfurt and all the love locks add a nice touch. A must-visit spot for great photos and a peaceful stroll! Also covered with locks! Great place for couples to stroll by

A perfect stop for travelers exploring Frankfurt! The Iron Footbridge (Eiserner Steg) is more than just a crossing — it’s a scenic spot where history, romance, and skyline views come together beautifully. I visited around sunset, and the reflection of the skyscrapers on the Main River was breathtaking. It’s a short walk from Römerberg, so it fits easily into any walking route around the old town. You’ll find plenty of people here — locals jogging, tourists taking photos, and couples leaving love locks on the railings. It’s one of those rare places that feels peaceful even when it’s busy. Tip: Visit early in the morning or near sunset for the best photos and fewer crowds. Bring a coffee, enjoy the fresh breeze, and take in the view — it’s a fantastic spot to feel the vibe of Frankfurt!
Ravindra G — Google review
Great place to take a walk. You can start with the bridge and then go through promenade. You can get there with an elevator, so it is accessible for people with disabilities. Really fine and pleasant view. You can also go sightseeing with a boat. Pretty cool place.
Ola K — Google review
Magnificent place with excellent views. I came to know about this bridge by my favourite movie Bommarillu (Telugu/India). Got rain while I was on the bridge, but didn't affect much. There are some surrounding places good for memory.
Kini P — Google review
The iron bridge is a great sight. From the entrance to the other end, it is only a matter of a few minutes, but you will have covered an old iron bridge traversed billions of times. The bridge is a large one with wide steps leading to the entrance. Though it is a footbridge, it is wide enough for several people to walk side by side. It is also very good for photographs. It has become a landmark in Frankfurt. When we visited it, there were several other visitors proving that it is a popular tourist destination. Lovers used to leave locked padlocks on the bridge. Now there are tens of thousands of such locks on the bridge.
Dr G — Google review
This is such a wonderful core memory moment. Standing on the bridge watching the kids look at all the locks and then be delighted at the other side of the bridge to see a gentleman engraving locks. The perfect ending to our month in Europe

Stunning Views, Historic Charm – A Must-Visit Landmark in Frankfurt! The Iron Footbridge (Eiserner Steg) is not just a pedestrian bridge — it's a panoramic balcony to one of Germany’s most vibrant and modern cities, steeped in history, culture, and breathtaking riverfront views. Whether you're a traveler, photographer, or simply out for a walk, this spot is absolutely unforgettable. As you step onto the bridge, the city opens up before you in a perfect postcard scene. On one side, you see the striking skyline of Frankfurt — a rare fusion of historic architecture and glass-covered skyscrapers that make this city so uniquely beautiful. On the other side, the peaceful charm of Sachsenhausen invites you with its traditional German taverns, cobblestone streets, and warm ambiance. The Main River flows gracefully beneath, offering mesmerizing reflections of the buildings and the bridge itself. At sunset, the sky turns golden-orange and paints the water in magical hues — it’s an experience that stops you in your tracks. Whether it’s day or night, sunny or misty, the atmosphere here is incredibly serene. The bridge is also known for its "love locks", where couples from around the world have left behind tokens of love and memories. It adds a layer of intimacy and charm that makes it feel like more than just a place — it’s a symbol of connection, both physically and emotionally. Tip: It’s one of the best photo spots in Frankfurt — you can capture the river, the skyline, and the famous Frankfurt Cathedral (Kaiserdom) all in one frame. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch live musicians or street performers adding to the mood. Easy to reach, open 24/7, and completely free — the Iron Footbridge is the perfect spot for a romantic stroll, a moment of reflection, or simply enjoying Frankfurt’s dynamic blend of old and new. Highly recommended — a peaceful escape right in the heart of a busy city. Don’t miss it!

The Senckenberg Nature Museum is a large natural history museum that houses an impressive collection of dinosaur skeletons and a giant anaconda. It is one of the must-see attractions in Frankfurt, alongside other popular sights like Romerberg, Stadel Museum, and Frankfurt Zoo. The museum offers visitors a chance to explore the wonders of nature through its extensive exhibits. Additionally, it provides an opportunity to experience local culture and cuisine while being surrounded by fascinating artifacts and displays.
I came here recently on a weekday afternoon. It happened to be a day for school excursions as many kids were seen being led by teachers. This is one of the best science museums I've ever visited. Alot of thought and hard work has gone into this museum. You can easily spend a day here browsing all the exhibits. I loved the dinosaur and animal exhibits best. Sadly most of the exhibits information was in German. Wish they included them in English as well. Plenty of seating options to take a break. I had a rest at their lovely cafe too- their special honey cake was really nice and service was excellent. Would totally recommend this place for all ages.

Amazing experience🤠 My childhood dream was visiting a natural history museum of this size and abundance of exhibits. I’m giving 4 stars just because the air conditioning was off in the middle of July and the staff had to open the front entrance and rear door to cool down the visitors. Also some of the solar system sections didn’t have lighting. Overall as a Dino nerd I would recommend anyone to visit this museum!
Aldin R — Google review
Interesting museum with a large collection of species from all around the world. Everything is well specified and described. You can see a large number of different species, from the ones that are common and that you see everyday, to endangered ones and the ones who are, unfortunatelly, extinct. There is a part with skeletons, which is probably the most attractive part for the average visitor and children. A couple of skeletons of dinosaurs and fossils describe how Earth looked like a long time before humans. It is a nice place to learn, deepen the knowledge and get familiarized with flora and fauna.
Alen V — Google review
Fascinating museum with a huge variety of exhibits - from giant dinosaurs to mammals and even displays about the human brain! Everything is well presented and easy to explore, with plenty of information and fun details. Great for both adults and kids, you can easily spend the whole day in here without getting bored. You can have a discount with Frankfurt card 🙌
Freya N — Google review
Well worth the €12 adult entry, even as an English speaker who couldn't understand all the text. The displays are beautiful- they have a wonderful selection of fossils, minerals and other items, which are all beautifully curated. The layout is very cool, and the building itself is geometric and adds to the sense of wonder and exploration. Would highly recommend. I believe we spent 4 hours here and could have spent another 1-2hrs there - only left due to time restraints on our part. A small gift shop.

It was a super fun experience! It is different from the typical art museum, so it was a refreshing experience. The vibes were nostalgic but cheerfull. They had collections from famous actors and movies but you could also learn of the process of movie making. It was cheaper than other museums in the area.

Fantastic experience for anyone interested in the development of film, interested in movies and how they are made! Cheap tickets for students, I bought mine for 9€ for the permanent and temporary exhibitions. I spent 1.5h, but could easily have spent more. Highly recommend for filmbuffs.

THE BEST MUSEUM I’VE BEEN TO! Very worth it. I spent 3.5 hours here. Very informative and fun! The history of photography and filming. I felt like every inch of the museum is well thought of. The first 2 floors are the permanent exhibition. The third floor is their rotational exhibition. They are currently exhibiting Germany’s movie history in the past 20 years. The fourth floor is closed when I visited it should have workshops. The underground floor has a cinema, but it has to be bought separately. Tickets are €9 for students (permanent exhibition + rotational) you have to show your ID. There’s a place to store your bags in a locker where you need to deposit €1 or €2 which will be returned when you unlock it. They can also lend you a black chip that is shaped like a coin which you can return after your museum visit.

The Alte Nikolaikirche, also known as the Old Nicholas Church, is a small Brick Gothic church located in the Old Town of Frankfurt. This medieval Lutheran temple, dedicated to Saint Nicholas, dates back to the mid-15th century and replaced an earlier chapel from the 12th century. The church features stained-glass windows and its foundations are marked on the floor to give an impression of its original dimensions.

This is a Lutheran church at Römerberg that dates back to the Middle Ages. It was first constructed in the mid-12th century. However, the building you see today is from the the 15th century is Gothic in architecture. Luckily the church mostly survived WWII air raids with only minor damage allowing us to view the majority of the church exterior and interior as it was in centuries past. Well worth a brief visit while sightseeing around Old Town.

One of your top choices for art in Frankfurt, with a great garden for a coffee after your visit. We decided to walk to the Liebighaus starting from the old city center and it was worth it: nice houses and historic buildings on our way along the river. We were impressed by the range of the sculpture collection which never became too “chatty”: we never got overwhelmed by the quantity of the sculptures in each section, which added to enjoying our time there/ not being stressed to quickly move on to the next section. The lighting of the sculptures added to the experience, giving a warmth to the artwork. Definitely recommended

Loved it here, the square was so pretty and relaxing. A few lovely restaurants, most wanted you to have food and wouldn't just serve drinks, but we did find one at the end that was happy to just serve drinks. The square was smaller than I anticipated but the river walk, the iron bridge, boat trips, and bars along the river were amazing, really welcoming and buzzing with music and people, such a great atmosphere. I visited for a long weekend and spent each evening beside the river. The shops had a good range of souvenirs as well as practical items, and no matter where we went out who were spoke to, everyone was so friendly, informative and welcoming, even with my very poor attempts at speaking German.

The IG Farbenhaus is a towering seven-story building that was the headquarters of IG Farben, a mammoth German chemicals conglomerate. The company's constituent companies included Agfa, Hoechst, and Bayer. The building is now home to the University of Frankfurt. It is a beautiful campus with many young people and a good vibe.
Beautiful building. We spent some time sitting under the tree, with our back to the fountain. The tree above us was giving us the perfect shade to enjoy the last days of summer

Formerly the headquarters of IG Farben, this Bauhaus-style structure played a role in 20th-century industrial and military history. Now part of Goethe University, it serves as a case study in adaptive reuse of historically significant buildings.

Stationed there during the 80s. The history and architecture of the building are very interesting. I loved to ride the elevators, and in the winter, you can see where the WW2 underground flooded tunnels are. The snow always melts above the tunnel on the ground in straight lines.

Grüneburg Park, situated in Frankfurt, Germany, was once part of the expansive Rothschild family estate. This 29-acre park features open-air theatre, a Korean Garden, and lush greenery. The landscape is adorned with sprawling lawns and intersecting paths ideal for jogging and cycling. Families and couples often gather here for picnics on the grassy expanses. The Schonhof pavilion at the heart of the park houses a charming café offering refreshments to visitors.
Grüneburgpark in Augsburg is a hidden gem, offering a peaceful escape within the city. This small, well-maintained park features lush lawns, mature trees, and a charming pond, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a quiet picnic. Its tranquil atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to unwind, enjoy nature, and take a break from the urban hustle. Though not large or bustling, Grüneburgpark's simplicity and serene beauty make it a favorite among locals looking for a quiet retreat.
Himanshu — Google review
Definitely one of the nicest parks in Frankfurt! Being a blanket and some friends, walk your dog, join a sports group, go for a run, hang out with other parents by the playground :) Gets a bit loud and wild on the weekends, and it helps to like humans as the nearby university brings quite a few of them :) there’s also a fenced in dog area and some nice quiet corners to find. If you dare, come during sundowns around summer solstice where the fireflies migrate here from the neighboring botanical garden to work their magic on you ;)

Must visit park in the heart of Frankfurt. There are two play areas for kids to play. Also adults can walk around for a long time. It's a huge park, maybe second in size only to Niddapark in Frankfurt. I'd definitely go again.
NEERAJ J — Google review
Grüneburgpark is one of Frankfurt’s largest and most cherished parks, located in the Westend district. Spanning approximately 29 hectares, it serves as a peaceful urban oasis offering residents and visitors a perfect blend of history, nature, and recreation. The park’s name stems from the “Grüne Burg” (Green Castle) that once occupied the area in the 14th century, connecting the modern green space to centuries of local heritage. Historical Background and Design Grüneburgpark’s origins trace back to the medieval period but truly took form in the 18th and 19th centuries. In 1789, banker Peter Heinrich von Bethmann Metzler acquired the estate and commissioned the design of the initial park. In 1837, the renowned Rothschild family purchased the property, erecting a palace-like mansion inspired by the French Loire castles. They brought renowned landscape architect Heinrich Siesmayer to reshape the grounds into an English garden style, completed by 1877. This style emphasized naturalistic landscaping with meandering walkways, broad lawns, diverse trees, and picturesque vistas, creating a relaxing and elegant environment. The Rothschild palace was tragically destroyed during Allied air raids in 1944 during World War II. A black obelisk and memorial plaque now mark the site, reminding visitors of the park’s aristocratic past. After the war, the park was expanded and opened as a public green space, where it has become a favorite spot for recreation in the heart of Frankfurt. Natural Beauty and Features Today, Grüneburgpark offers a lush and diverse landscape featuring sprawling lawns, dense shrubbery, mature trees, and winding paths ideal for walking, jogging, rollerblading, and cycling. Visitors enjoy the spacious outdoor areas for picnics, sports, or quiet relaxation amid natural surroundings. It provides a refreshing and accessible nature escape for urban dwellers and tourists. A standout feature is the beautifully crafted Korean Garden, a generous gift from South Korea in 2005 during the Frankfurt Book Fair. The Korean Garden symbolizes the four seasons and features traditional pavilions, reflective pools, and native plants, offering a tranquil and culturally enriching retreat within the park. Grüneburgpark is adjacent to the Botanical Garden of Johann Wolfgang Goethe University and near the Palmengarten, creating a green ensemble that forms one of Frankfurt’s largest continuous natural areas. These connections deepen the park’s botanical and ecological significance. Visitor Experience and Activities Visiting Grüneburgpark is an opportunity to enjoy wide-open spaces, contemporary cultural events, and family-friendly recreation. The park hosts open-air concerts, theatrical performances, and seasonal festivities that bring the community together. Playgrounds and designated picnic areas cater to families and groups, while extensive jogging and cycling paths serve fitness enthusiasts. Numerous benches and shaded spots provide areas to rest, read, or admire the seasonal blooms throughout the park. The cafe housed in a beautifully restored pavilion offers refreshments, enhancing visitor comfort. Accessibility and Location The park is easily reachable by public transport and car, with nearby parking options. It lies between Frankfurt’s new university campus and the Palmengarten, making it a convenient green escape for students and city residents. Paths are generally flat and well-maintained, suitable for strollers, wheelchairs, and varied fitness levels.

The Commerzbank Tower stands proudly in the heart of Frankfurt, reigning as the city's tallest skyscraper at an impressive height of 260 meters. Renowned for its innovative architectural design, this iconic structure features lush gardens on various floors that enhance airflow naturally, minimizing the need for air conditioning—except on the top floor. The extensive use of glass allows natural light to flood into the lobby and offers stunning views of the blue sky from ground level on sunny days.
One of the symbolic structures of Frankfurt. Night lighting is also very successful. The building is in the central location of the city. However, the distance make it more beautiful to watch. There's only the bank's logo on the building. No other letter or sign.

The Commerzbank Tower in the heart of Frankfurt is not only the highest skyscraper in Frankfurt, it famous and outstanding for its innovative architecture and design. Several gardens are integrated on different floors to make the airflow more efficiently and not using any air conditioning, except on the top floor. Lots of glass, even inside the building will bring daylight in the lobby and on a sunny day you can see the blue sky from the ground floor through all the windows up. This is a architectural masterpiece and Frankfurt icon.

Delicious spot, highly recommended. They offer many traditional desserts and good coffee. everything was amazing, but if I had to choose, I’d go with the coffee paired with Frankfurter Kranz. The place is cozy, perfect to enjoy with friends or just by yourself while reading. They also have a variety of treats you can even buy as gifts. Definitely worth visiting.

Cakes and desserts were very good. You have to order the cakes at the counter, they write it down for you then you can sit outside and give the written order to your server. Had a couple coffee drinks and a couple desserts. So nice to sit at their outdoor patio in the afternoon, shaded by the building, with a gorgeous church next to you.

Sat ourdoors. The sorroundings were cute, but it was rather noisy due to crowded area. Friendly staff. The cake was ordered indoors (which the staff later served to the table) and coffee was ordered at the table. The payment was also done at the table. They had a lot on the menu. And I just may have ordered stuff that is not of the best/nlt of my preference. Kaffee goldene waage tasted like coffee with strong alcohol flavour. The mini frankfurter kranz was great at first bite, but the buttercream made the cake feel too heavy/fatty without enough of other components balancing it. More jam would have been better. It is worth trying, but I would recommend sharing it with someone else.

Old cloister converted in an exhibition space. It usually holds interesting "discursive" exhibitions about Frankfurt with panels and memorabilia. The cloister can be visited as well and by itself is reason enough to check this place. It's gold as well for people interested in Frankfurt's recent urban developments. Avoid visiting it when the guided tours take place, the room is practically full and it's nearly impossible to focus and enjoy the visit.

Nestled within the historic Kuhhirtenturm, the Hindemith Cabinet is a charming tribute to the renowned German composer Paul Hindemith. This medieval tower, one of only nine that survived from ancient fortifications, served as Hindemith's home between 1923 and 1927. In 2011, it was transformed into a dedicated space by the Hindemith Foundation, showcasing an intimate exhibition that delves into his life and artistic contributions.
This is one of the oldest buildings in Frankfurt. This tower was next to the former entrance gate to the town of Sachsenhausen. Today, it houses a cute little museum in the exquisitely well-renovated buildings about the composer Hindemidt who lived here in the 1920s. There are four floors with the last one being the smallest concert "halls" in Germany. You can also walk above the gate that used to be the entrance to the town.

It is not a huge Museum but it is very interesting and all the things displayed are selected with dedication and great knowledge. Very friendly and competent personal. Spent a little bit of your time, listen to original music from Hindemith and then enjoy to discuss with the personal they love it too. Drawback opening hours only Sunday 1100 til 1800 h. if you are lucky you can attend concert in the music room on the 3rd floor of the tower. Tickets are very rare only 25 people can attend and a concert.

The geometric forms based on the measure of a Japanese tatami-mat and terra cotta stone cladding correspond to classical Japanese design, the roof reminisces the shape of a Japanese stone lantern. Great concept!

One of the buildings used by the European Central Bank with a Japanese flavor and a nice internal restaurant at the 25th floor. Great view if you happen to be a guest of the ECB

This place looks a bit out of place but in a good way. The most interesting building in Frankfurt in my opinion.
