Bent Paddle Brewing Co. in Duluth, Minnesota is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts. The brewery offers a diverse range of craft beers, including pilsners, porters, sours, stouts, and unique options like cold press black coffee ale and THC-infused seltzers. The vibrant atmosphere features a cozy indoor space with a big bar, fireplace, and stage as well as a lovely dog-friendly patio for enjoying live music and local vendors.
We drove up from Florida to Duluth and this was our first stop. Amazing beer, great atmosphere, wonderful people! We met brewers and employees, hung out talking beer .... and tasting beer. Since we had one night in town, we had to try other breweries while up north. Well, Bent Paddle had The Best beer in town! Highly recommend this brewery .... stay, no need to explore. Cheers!
Shady P — Google review
One of the good breweries in Duluth. Cozy place in one corner (with a fireplace), outdoor sitting by the patio or at the yard, a live performance stage at the other corner. This place has everything to offer. The beer selection is extensive but I like their unique selection like Oreo stout. Good selection of beer, good choices of food (soup salad and sandwiches). Though price is on the high side, the sandwich portion is gigantic. Almost guarantee taking some left over home. Their skinny French fries is pretty cool. Nice view of the lake as well, top spot by the canal street.

I went here in a Tuesday night in mid June. It was trivia night so it was very busy. I didn’t get my usual brewery. Tap room experience. Definitely didn’t have time to talk to the bartender and get recommendations on beer. I did a flight. The beer was decent. Their beer is fairly well distributed so I’ve had a lot of it before. I sat out on the patio, it’s a great building. Street parking, I’m not sure if there was a private parking lot. I was lucky enough to park right out front. They don’t serve any food, but they partner with several local eateries, and you can get the food delivered there, or you can carry in your own. Merchandise, stickers, I don’t recall they sold beer to go from that location.
T-roy S — Google review
Great tasty locally brewed selections. The American lager was light and crisp. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Reggae music featured when we were there. Had food delivered and enjoyed the music, beer and atmosphere.

First time in the tap house. Wide variety of drinks. Beer, seltzer, THC drinks. Atmosphere is welcoming. There is not in house food but they have QR code to get local eats.
Andrew N — Google review
We visited on Saturday afternoon. They were busy but we were able to find seats at the bar. The service was good and we ordered flights of beer. I enjoyed the Retro Haze, Bent Hop, Black Ale and Vanilla Bourbon Black Ale. The food truck outside (Bowlz N’ Thangz) was fantastic.

We come here every time we visit Duluth and love it so much. This is what a brewery should be. Dog friendly, cozy, great patio, great beer, and community oriented.
Rebekah J — Google review
Bent Paddle is the best brewery in Duluth. The beer selection is always fresh with new beers and favorites. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy. We go here every time we are in Duluth as it never disappoints. Great for going alone, with your family, or a group.

Distillery
Vikre Distillery, located in Canal Park, is a craft distillery that offers tours, tastings, and seasonal cocktails featuring their house-made gin, aquavit, and vodka. The distillery prides itself on using the clean water of Lake Superior and local organic grains to create their spirits. With a true north vibe both inside and outside the establishment, visitors can enjoy Nordic-inspired drinks such as Boreal Gin, vodka, whiskey, aquavit along with other beverages available for purchase.
Expresso Martini was excellent. Dirty Martini was on point. Didn’t even realize it was happy hour. (Both apply) Under their signature drinks Clique Bait was tasty with kick.

Such a cute space with the friendliest service ever! You know you've found a good bar when they have comfy, inviting chairs and well made drinks. Thank you to all the staff who walked around our dog to serve drinks 🤣 lol. She loved laying on the floor next to the bar and getting pets (even though she is side-eying me in the photo). My only recommendation is to make the menu a little more upscale looking instead of beach bar. I think it would fit the vibe inside more.

My wife and I were exploring Duluth and found this Gem! I got a flight, and my wife got a cocktail! Here is how it went... The flight... The Ovrevann Aquavit- Which was smooth and very aromatic The Voyageur Aquavit- Tasted very much like your normal spiced whiskey with a different kick Hay and Sunshine- Warm and smooth, I really enjoyed it! Temperance River Rye Whiskey- Smooth with a nice spice, hard to describe taste, bitter but in a good way! My wife got the "Airplane Mode" - a very tasty, spicy banana, vanilla, sweet cocktail that went over very well! I also wanted to shout out the service, friendly, easy to talk to staff, and the place just felt clean, light, and cozy! Thanks for a great experience!

My family loves to visit Vikre every time we are in Duluth! We love the large drink menu using our favorite base spirits! We always get the snack box too - Perfect pairing! Vikre is our favorite gin and our “house gin” at our home bar.

We have been to several distilleries but never a gin and vodka one. This was an interesting place. We started with sharing 4 tasting samples and liked the strawberry rhubarb gin the best. We also tried two of their specialty drinks, the lavender lemon drop martini and the raspberry whiskey smash. Both were really tasty. Finally, we ordered the Northen waters smokehaus epic snack box. It came with smoked salmon and trout, nordic chips, cheddar cheese chunks, a cheese spread, almonds, olives, pickles, and peppers. It was ok but not worththe moneywe spent on it. Our server was not very attentive, and we had to keep asking others to help us as our table was not in the main room but off to the side with no one else around. We did leave with a bottle of the strawberry rhubarb gin.

Spending a mini-moon here in Duluth and stumbled upon Vikre. It is definitely a must stop if you're looking for a great cocktail and vibe. The snack box was delicious. The Lavender Lemon Drop Martini and Strawberry Rhubarb Gimlet were delicious. Atmosphere is relaxing and service was great. Our Server Raina was the absolute best!
Richard H — Google review
Fantastic distillery with a wide array of options and a fun atmosphere. Lots of great cocktails to choose from, as well as many flexible options for tasting flights - even give you some lime and tonic and soda water in case you want to turn your gin tasters into G & Ts! Fun to try their assortment of gins and aquavits, especially enjoyed their three herbal liquors - smoother takes on Campari, Chartreuse, and Aperol. Update - after only doing a liquor flight during our first visit, had to go back and try some cocktails! Very unique and well-crafted, especially the root beer foam in the Tragedy of Prohibition and the fusion of pineapple, coffee, hazelnut, and lime in the Tropical Goth. Fantastic notes of raspberry in the Last Word as well! Also went for the Frenchie flight - especially liked the blackberry in the Briar and the house apertivo in the Velo.
Roger H — Google review
This is a beautiful stop in Duluth. The decor is classy and relaxing. They have a creative and diverse drink menu, including a nice selection of NA drinks. All their food options are snack sized, but enough for sharing between two people. Their vegan snack box is amazing! The staff was fun and knowledgeable. Lastly, the quality of the products were top shelf and worth the price. Pictured is the vegan snack box, whiskey flight and seltzer flight. I would have taken all their liquor selections home with me if I could, but I could only pick two. The Frenchie seltzer and the Aquavit were my choices, and they did not disappoint.

Nestled along the stunning shores of Lake Superior, Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake is a quintessential English-style pub that captures the essence of Duluth's vibrant dining scene. Known affectionately as "Sir Ben's" by locals, this charming establishment offers an eclectic menu filled with beloved pub classics and a lively atmosphere enhanced by live music most nights.
Brunch with a Lake View: Sir Benedict's Tavern Delivers Atmosphere and Flavor Looking for a brunch with a view, we found ourselves at Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake. The setting had promise—and quirks. Parking was scarce, so plan on a short walk from nearby street parking. Once inside, we found a cozy, bustling atmosphere that never felt overwhelming. The staff struck a balance of laid-back and attentive—friendly smiles and helpful guidance from the moment we arrived. Restrooms were simple: two single-occupancy, non-gender-specific rooms. They were clean but showed signs of character—graffiti dotted the walls and ceiling. Seating is self-service style: order at the counter, pick your spot, and the waitstaff brings the food with a warm touch. Lake View & Outdoor Seating It was a foggy day, but we appreciated the generous outdoor seating with views that, on a clearer morning, would be stunning. Even through the mist, the lake added serenity to our brunch. We started with the Pesto Bruschetta, beautifully presented and generously topped with pesto, feta, and tomatoes. It was flavorful, fresh, and visually inviting. The nachos (just a half order!) were unexpectedly hearty—smothered in cheese, tomatoes, a large dollop of sour cream that didn't shy away, and pico de gallo and jalapeno slices on the side. The timing from order to table felt just right. Our waitress arrived with a friendly smile and double-checked that we had everything we needed before leaving us to enjoy. Her attitude matched the tone of the place: casual but caring. 🌟 Overall Impression Despite minor hiccups (parking and fog), Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake delivered a memorable brunch with a side of laid-back charm. Good food, good vibes, and a lakeside setting—9/10 would recommend.
Andrew B — Google review
In a city that is pretty vegan-friendly, Sir Ben’s vegan Cobb salad is the single best vegan entree in town. Loaded and perfectly balanced, it’s super delicious & satisfying. I’ve already had this entree four times this summer and will continue to return again and again to try and satisfy my cravings for it. While some places just throw a simple vegan entree on the menu, this one is thoughtful and well executed.

Bees Invaded My Epic Duluth Beer Adventure at Sir Benedict’s—But I'd Still Give It 5 Stars! 🐝🍻 (You Won't Believe the Historic Vibes!) #DuluthHiddenGem 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 Stars – A Historic Beer Haven in Duluth That's Worth the Buzz! Oh man, if you're in Duluth, Minnesota, and craving a craft beer experience that's straight out of a history book, RUN—don't walk—to Sir Benedict’s Tavern on the Lake! This place is a total gem, nestled right on the shores of Lake Superior with an outdoor seating area that feels like you've time-traveled back to the 1800s. Picture this: you're sitting on a charming wooden patio surrounded by century-old brick walls, vintage lanterns flickering in the breeze, and the faint echo of Duluth's maritime past whispering through the air. The historic ambiance is next-level—it's like dining in a restored ship captain's quarters, with exposed beams that tell stories of old trading posts and iron ore ships docking nearby. Every corner screams 'authentic North Shore heritage,' from the rustic stone accents to the panoramic views of the lake that make you feel like you're in a postcard from Minnesota's golden age. It's not just a bar; it's a living piece of Duluth history, perfect for sunset sipping or cozy fall afternoons. And the craft beers? Absolute perfection! They pour local legends on tap, with rotating seasonal brews that hit every note—crisp IPAs with piney hops, smooth stouts that warm you up against the lake chill, and fruity sours that pair insanely well with their pub grub (pro tip: get the fish and chips for that true lakeside vibe). The staff are beer wizards, recommending flights that'll make any hophead swoon. It's the kind of spot where you lose track of time, chatting with locals about Duluth's wild history while the waves lap in the background. The ONLY downside? The bees are in GREAT numbers during fall peak season—think a buzzing squadron that might photobomb your pint! 🐝😂 I had to do a little dance to shoo them away, but honestly, it added to the adventure (nature's way of saying 'welcome to the outdoors!'). Just bring some bug spray or snag an indoor spot if you're bee-phobic—it's a minor hiccup in an otherwise flawless experience. Duluth locals and travelers, this is your sign to go! Historic charm, killer craft beer, and views that'll make your Instagram explode. Who's braving the bees with me? Tag a friend and let's make this spot famous! #SirBenedictsDuluth #CraftBeerLovers #MinnesotaAdventures #HistoricPatioVibes #BeeHiveBar #LakeSuperiorEats #ViralDuluth #Travel

Loved this place! Was super cozy and fun- old school vibe/relaxed. Beautiful view, friendly staff, great service. Food and drinks were great!

During a recent business trip to Duluth, I was in the mood for a good sandwich for dinner and was steered toward Sir Bene’s by the hotel receptionist — and I’m so glad I went! The atmosphere was fantastic, with an impromptu Irish jam session happening that evening. The musicians were excellent and added such a fun, cozy vibe to the place. I ordered the portobello sandwich, which was delicious — hearty and flavorful, and I was that I held the mayo because the sandwich doesn't need it. Although I didn't drink, they have a huge variety of draught beers. Overall, a great experience all around. Highly recommended!
John R — Google review
This place was amazing. The food was fantastic and the people were wonderful. Even had live music starting as we were getting ready to head out.
Kalina F — Google review
Ate here for the first time on Friday evening. It was bustling and I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside along with the awesome service and food. I ordered the British Dip with aus jus which was juicy, fresh and quite excellent along with a few of the local beers they had on tap. Selection for both sandwiches and beer was plenty, and I'm definitely looking forward to swinging by when I'm up in Duluth again. Keep up the great work!

Canal Park Brewing Company is an industrial-chic microbrewery located in Duluth, Minnesota. This family-owned establishment takes pride in its artisanal beers and locally-sourced pub food. The brewery offers a diverse selection of craft beers, including seasonal brews like Pumpkin Lager in the Fall. With a strong connection to Minnesota's outdoor culture, the brewery's outdoor seating provides a perfect setting to enjoy their drinks on warm summer days.
I’m an out of town girl, Kansas to be specific and I was up north visiting the lake when I decided to get something to eat before I traveled to Minneapolis. This place has got to be one of the best breweries I’ve ever been to. Sophia was our server and she was absolutely phenomenal, she was on top of everything and just so sweet. Took the time to chat and whatnot but also was considerate about everything. Overall this might be one of the best experiences in a restaurant that I’ve ever had and will certainly be back again! Not to mention there’s Lake Superior right behind the restaurant so we were able to get some good photos before we got settled down to eat! Thanks CPB!

4.5 only because the restaurant was freezing. This was our first time to visit Canal Park Brewing Co. I would choose this over Grandma's Saloon any day. The FISH AND CHIPS was the perfect recommendation from our server Natalie. Fish fresh from Superior, battered and fried perfectly! Crispy outside and juicy inside. All the sauces are fresh too and tasty. The spicy chicken wrap was also delicious and a perfect blend of flavors. The beer was good and cold too. What a unique place. We'll be back for sure!
Amanda K — Google review
Nice little brewery right on the lake. I had great, quick service. I had the bowl of chili as it was one of those windy beginning of fall cool days it it hit the spot perfectly. Was nice and chunky and had just a touch of heat. Then I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and it had a perfect amount of heat for a chilly day. To drink I had a strawberry mango lemonade Arnold Palmer. It was perfect.
Kyle B — Google review
Our visit to Canal Park Brewing Company was quite enjoyable. While the indoor setting was what you’d expect from a typical brewery, the outdoor area made great use of its lakeside location. The service was attentive, and our food arrived quickly. We tried the Mac and Cheese with beef brisket and the Reuben with potato soup on the side; both dishes were delicious. What really made the dining experience was the Swedish Cream dessert, which was outstanding. We would gladly return for another meal.
Curt O — Google review
Canal Park Brewing Company has a really great atmosphere with a fun vibe right on the lake. It’s a nice place to grab a drink and enjoy the view. That said, the food doesn’t live up to the price point. A $20 hamburger just wasn’t worth it, and overall the value didn’t match the experience. Worth visiting for the atmosphere, but not for the food prices.
Stephen C — Google review
The few times we’ve been in Duluth, we always stopped here because of the food and proximity to Canal Park. I decided to take my visiting family here, so they can enjoy the view and food as well. This visit, we got the Nashville chicken sandwich and bulgogi bowl. My family had fish and chips, burger, and mac and cheese. My brother and dad got pints as well (I forgot what it was!) Everything was delicious! We did not wait long for our food. Also, our server was so amazing and nice. I think her name is Christine? I am so sorry I forgot! She always checked in on us and made sure we got everything. We will definitely go back. Highly recommend!
Mary W — Google review
Great place for lunch in the Canal area close to the scenic walkway on Lake Superior. The outdoor patio was in a fantastic location and the beer and food was great. The Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, buffalo Mac and cheese were fantastic. The beer cheese soup and dry run chicken wings were great appetizers.

Ty was our server and he was great. Super engaged and responsive when either my wife or I had any questions on there beer. We are from the PNW and love our beers. Food was absolutely amazing. We had just gotten back from a lovely kayak trip out to the Apostles Islands and were certainly ready to eat. Between our son and the two of us we had a variety of options and we all were very pleased. Highly remind!

Wine bar
Duluth Tap Exchange is a game-changer in the Lincoln Park Craft District, offering a self-pour tap wall with an extensive selection of local and regional craft beer, hard seltzer, cider, and wine. This innovative concept allows patrons to pour their own drinks, make purchasing decisions at their own pace, and sample specialized offerings without committing to a full pint. The taproom provides a unique experience by combining the best aspects of a night out with the comfort and convenience of home.
Neat little hang out place. Something we hadn’t experienced before. Everything is self serve and paid by the tenth of an ounce more or less. The rub down is, you give them your card to charge, and they give you a proximity bracelet (or 2+ depending on your party size and who’s paying). Every drink they currently offer, is on wall in a line of wall taps. You choose your flavor, and present your bracelet to that tap, and it grants permission to pour. It meters your pour down to the tenth of an oz or so. Every drink has its own independent price so it charges accordingly. Not sure if you’ll like something? No problem, just pour a small sip out and try it. If you like it, pour more. If you want to try something else, move on down the line trying others. Once you leave for the evening, your proximity bracelet will have everything tallied up front for your bill. No more buying a drink for $6 that you don’t like. You can be here all night drinking nothing but samples after samples if that’s your gig. And when I say sample, they are paid samples, not a freebie. I’m just saying you can try little amounts of 20 different kinds if you want. Find one you like, you can stick with it. Staff is friendly and helpful. They also rotate a lot of glassware from what people use and from what has been washed to set out. We found this to be a pretty cool way of handling things. No waitstaff, so your get up and pour your own, but also no obligatory feeling to tip for every drink as well. You can still tip at the end if you’d like. This kind of place and it’s service style may not be for every ton, but we found it quite pleasant, as we could drink at our own pace, without feeling like waitstaff had to keep asking how we were doing. It’s a very load back atmosphere, and one we enjoyed, and we really aren’t bar people to begin with.

The server was great really enjoyed her and she had great feedback on all the drinks. Molly is a great server and has the personality to go along with it. She makes the experience enjoyable and a great atmosphere, definitely want to come back when she’s working again!!!! Can’t wait to be back!

Absolutely brilliant idea. Try many many beers for a very reasonable cost with their state of the art system and bring in delicious food from wherever you want (tho we highly recommend OMC next door). These guys also have great pizza tho.

Bartender Kyle was fantastic!! He approached our table multiple times to chat/and was very observant about grabbing empty glasses. He also offered to mix us up some shots. Great drinks, great conversation! (We could’ve done without the lavender lemon drop martini)
Rebecca I — Google review
Great place to go that offers a large variety of craft beers, ciders, and cocktails on tap. With the self pour ability, you can sample a small amount before fully committing. If that’s not for you they also have a decent bar selection.

Fu spot with lots of beers to sample and enjoy. I got a wrist phob and tried 5 or 6 before settling on one to enjoy. Lot's of variety, plenty of good beers but not many great beers on tap.
Trypp A — Google review
Fun concept, great vibes, great outdoor seating, and knowledgeable staff. Lots of fun and really enjoyed the selection!

What an awesome concept. So easy to try many beers without having to buy an entire glass and either be so full, you're ready to burst, or so drunk you won't even appreciate the variety.

This is a local gem! The food is over-the-top delicious. In fact, my guest, who has eaten all over the world, said that the Maple Glazed Salmon Risotto made his top 5 best meals ever. My gnocchi with basil pesto was exceptional. You can't get better food or views anywhere else. Tom was an excellent server as well. Thank you for an amazing meal and service!

The food was delicious and the service good. The view is usually spectacular. I would have given 5 stars, but the last two times we've gone they've been out of the gnocchi, which is what I planned to order. I would highly recommend the gnocchi and beef tips (if you're lucky), or sub for the shells with San Marzano sauce and beef tips (close second). My husband loves the carbonera. Will be back, but will probably call head, even with reservations. Fingers crossed I can get the Gnocchi the next time we go!

10/10 highly recommend. The BEST Italian I’ve ever had except for the food I ate while traveling in Italy. Absolutely delicious food, great service, and stunning views. Don’t forget a scoop of gelato to go. I would go out of my way to eat here again and again! Be sure to plan your visit in advance, a reservation is likely needed - especially if you want to sit in the lofted area overlooking Lake Superior.

We were recommended by several people in Duluth to try Va Bene, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. To start, the host could have been more attentive. I understand they were very busy and I appreciated being seated as a walk-in, but when I arrived, I stood waiting for a couple of minutes. Another customer came in after me, and the host helped her first before finally noticing me. We were seated at The Grotto, the downstairs patio overlooking the lake, and were told we could only stay for about an hour. For drinks, we ordered a black coffee, which was warm and not good, and a Purple Rain (lemonade with lavender syrup), which was average. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive. We ordered the Pasta Alla Zucca Violina (butternut squash with creamy pecan sauce) and the Spicy Erbe with sausage. The sausage was the only ingredient we enjoyed. The squash pasta was undercooked—far too hard, leaving my jaw tired from chewing—and the sauce was overly sweet. The Spicy Erbe was okay, but again the pasta was chewy, which ruined the dish overall. In short, it was one of the worst Italian meals I’ve had, and though the view was nice, the food and service did not live up to the recommendations.

My husband and I were visiting Duluth for some downtime together after me having multiple surgeries over the course of 5 weeks. We did not make reservations but they were more than willing to accommodate us for lunch. We got to sit out on their little closed in patio and look out over the lake. The food was freshly made, hot and delicious. Our waiter was top notch and was very attentive while we were there. It's in a good location and we will definitely visit again when we come back.

Va Bene has a beautiful lakeside setting and a menu with both hits and misses. The burrata with tomatoes, pesto, and focaccia was excellent, the pesto especially stood out. The Noce e Pera pasta with candied pear, walnuts, and gorgonzola sauce was also delicious and well-balanced. The meatballs, however, were disappointing…small, dry, and lacking flavor. The Preferito della Casa pasta was also underwhelming, with chewy chicken, overcooked noodles, and a balsamic sauce that overpowered the dish. Service was a little slow but staff were pleasant, but overall the food felt inconsistent.

Restaurant
OMC Smokehouse, short for "Oink, Moo, Cluck," is a vibrant restaurant offering elevated BBQ with a global twist. The menu features a variety of slow-smoked barbecue dishes with house-made sauces and delectable sides like duck fat fries and cheesy jalapeno grits. The establishment is known for its generous portions, reasonable prices, and casual atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to savor a hearty meal with friends or family.
Best smoked meats we have ever had! Party of 2 , ordered (Weekday late lunch/dinner) : omc smoked plate, pork n' grits, added extra briskets, and creme brulee. Smoked brisket just melts in ur mouth and even the chicken was great (took leftovers to our camping site and grilled them later and it was more amazing!) Grits were so good that we ordered one to go a couple of days later. Creme brulee was divine. It had the perfect sugar crunchy layer on top of the smooth creme and it was perfect w the candied bacon. Would definitely try this again! The four sauces they had were also so yummy w the pork rinds! Everything was super tasty =)

Just had the BEST Q outside of Texas! Beginning with the complimentary fried rinds and an explanation of the various sauces, every item was prepared with perfection! Our server, Sarah was exemplary! Husband had brisket and ribs. Tender and flavorful. I had the burrito bowl and I highly recommend it! Sides were tasty blends of complimentary seasoning as well.

Food was excellent! Great taste, flavors we’ve never had before, nice portion sizes. One of the owners, Louie, stopped by our table and we enjoyed hearing a little about his story. He was humble and kind. We received wonderful service and felt well cared for. We would definitely recommend OMC Smokehouse to friends and family and will definitely be back when we are in the area.

My sister and I went to lunch at OMC smokehouse on Friday, September 19, 2025. We were in the area and wanted to get a nice lunch. I read the reviews online and thought this would be a great place. The ambience of the place was great. Our host that seated us was very nice. Our server Sarah was absolutely wonderful. But the food was not so great. I ordered the appetizers - pork belly lettuce wraps and the beef fat fries. My sister ordered the burrito bowl and the barbecue wings appetizer. While the pork belly had a great flavor, it was the consistency of leather. Very dry and chewy. I did not finish eating the appetizer. I did mention this to our server Sarah. The beef, fat fries, while having wonderful flavor, were very limp and soggy. The burrito bowl, while having great flavor, the rice was nothing but mush. Again, the barbecue wings had great flavor, but were a little dry. We only ordered water for our beverages. We did bring home the extra wings and the extra beef fat fries (hoping we could crisp up the fries in an air fryer, but that didn’t work out so well). I guess I expected a bit more for a $80 lunch (not including tip).

This is the place I keep coming back to whenever I visit Duluth. The BEST brisket in Minnesota, it’s so good and tender that it melts in your mouth. The St. Louis style ribs are also the best here. If it’s your first time here, I’d recommend the Smoked OMC Plate, you’d get a bit of each of their best dishes (ribs, brisket, and smoked chicken). Personally, I prefer the ribs and the brisket, so we just get a full order of those. The sides are delicious. The mac and cheese is a must. The candied sweet potato bake was great as well, but it was too sweet to have along with the other dishes - I had it as more of a desert dish. The potato salad was also really good and I recommend, and nothing can go wrong with the corn. Highly recommend OMC Smokehouse!

Amazing food, staff were great, very cool interior and atmosphere. The bar-b-cuban was amazing and suggest trying it. The Louisiana catfish and chips were delicious! All the sauces are great and had to buy some to take home! Love to try old fashions every restaurant I try and theirs is delicious and one the best I've had in a while!

BEST experience, all the way around! Brisket was flavorful and DELICIOUS; dipping sauce options were varied, house-made, and tasty; my dietary-delicate husband was able to get a phenomenal burger on a gluten-free bun; sides were unique and mouthwatering (I tried the hush puppies, pecan-topped sweet potatoes, and my husband's fries); and the drinks were excellent - SO MANY bourbon options! We requested to sit on the patio. It was peaceful and the atmosphere was stellar. I cannot recommend this place enough. If I am ever in Duluth again, I'm going back to try the pulled pork. My only complaint is that it said on the menu that gluten-free buns would not be an additional charge, but they did charge us a few dollars extra for it. I think because we told them not to worry about cross-contamination? Lucky for them, everything else was 6/5 stars.

Had the chance to head to OMC with a friend last night. We were greeted by the friendly hostess who complimented my 2 piece outfit. (Thank you, love!) We were seated quickly indoors around 6 pm on a Thursday evening and got a lovely server who was very attentive all evening. The atmosphere was nice and not too loud even though it was fairly busy. Our drinks and food came out fast. We ordered 3 dishes to split. Nashville hot chicken sandwich w/ beef fat fries: the fries were a 10/10! Flavor was amazing. Excellent crunch with a nice soft inside. Could have eaten a million of these fries. Sandwich was 5/10. Wasn’t super flavorful, bun was a little burnt, chicken wasn’t super juicy. I would recommend their sister company Chicken n What for a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich instead. 3 smoked wings with dry rub with ranch and bleu cheese: 10/10 SO GOOD. Crispy on the outside. Soooo juicy on the inside. Dry rub was delicious. Ranch and bleu cheese were both amazing! Sweet Chili Crispy Chicken Wrap w/ Mac n Cheese: wrap was 8/10 great flavor. The pickled jalapeno packed a ridiculous spicy punch that we were not expecting. It was good but woooo chile, it was a kick in the tastebuds. So be prepared. Mac n cheese…2/10. Pasta was cooked well, but the Mac and cheese just lacked flavor and depth. I’m not even sure my kids would have ate it. The cheese they sprinkled on top wasn’t even melted. Overall a good experience here! Will definitely come back for wings and to check out the outdoor seating when the air quality is better. Loved that they had a fire pit out there. They also do not serve THC beverages which is a total bummer, but Legacy Cannabis is right across the street!

The Pickwick Restaurant & Pub, a historic landmark in Duluth since 1914, offers a glimpse into the city's past while providing a delightful dining experience. Situated in the Canal Park area by Lake Superior, this establishment is renowned for its homemade soups and award-winning chargrilled steaks. The menu features traditional entrees such as steak, pasta, and salmon alongside homestyle pub favorites.
Really good classical ambience, reminds me of some old school steak houses I've been to in Wyoming that have been around for generations. Service was friendly. Food was spectacular. One of the best calamari I've ever had. We went with the ribeye and some potatoes, you rarely see twice baked potatoes on the menu but theirs was delicious. Little pricey but you get what you pay for in quality. The red velvet cake was delicious as well. Had to get some dessert to top off the meal even though we were both full.

We dined early (4:30) to avoid the crowds and it was worth it. We sat at the bar for a cocktail before being seated and the chef was there on a break. We got a chance to chat with him and the bartender about the restaurants history. The drinks were excellent with a good pour. Our server, Marcus, was excellent. He was very attentive and a fun guy to chat with. Something you don’t get unless you dine early. The food was impeccable. I had the prime rib which is finished on a charcoal grill. Probably one of the best tasting primes I’ve ever had. There were also two filets and a ribeye served at our table and all were fantastic. Even the sides were cooked to perfection and very flavorful.

Parking is a bit tight on the weekends. Dinning area is aright for a place like Duluth. Not premium but at least it’s clean. Food from the grill was great. We got the 8oz fillet steak and jack Daniel’s pork chop. The steak was very good. It had a crispy layer of saltiness on it. The chop was sweet which I’m guessing was from the jack Daniel. It’s a regular chop not a rib chop. The steak was good for the cut, it’s not a fillet mignon so don’t expect that flavor but it still had a good steak flavor and was tender. Comes with your choice of side which ranged from fires to baked potatoes. Also comes with a side of steamed zucchini. All in all the food was great our server, Reba, was excellent she recommended the moscato wine which was to my taste as I like sweet whites. I do recommend making reservations as it speeds up the seating process. We were seated immediately. It really is easy to make reservations online so do that.

We absolutely loved this place. We got the filet steak and it was so juicy, charred on the outside. The bread was amazing too. Fresh with delicious butter. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful on suggestions on the menu and things to do in the area. We had a wonderful view over the lake as well. Salads were crisp and we absolutely loved the fries and the twice baked potatoes.

Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar is a casual dining spot in Canal Park, located in the DeWitt-Seitz Marketplace. It offers inventive New American cuisine and regional cocktails in a relaxed setting with outdoor seating. The menu features shareable plates like Beef Tartare, Fresh Mussels, and Charred Shishitos, as well as entrees such as Lamb Tikka Masala, Brick Quail, Salmon, Bulgogi Wagyu Skirt Steak, and Toasted Orzo.
My husband & I enjoyed yet another LOVELY evening at Lake Avenue - from the chef's counter, we sipped tasty cocktails (mezcal & negroni) while observing the chefs & servers create the most perfect meal & experience for all, everything seemed to run flawlessly! We started with the most delicious calamari (perfectly cooked with a chili kick) & next, the warm kale salad (a must eat) and salmon dish. What a perfect evening! Thank you all for taking such good care of us, we cant wait to return!

The food was good however not spectacular. I had the red snapper ceviche and the pork belly sandwich for dinner with a black sesame cheesecake for dessert. The sandwhich was amazing but the fries were plain. The ceviche was watery (if that makes sense) but still good, and the cheese cake was average. The wait staff was incredible however and I would definitely go back.

This place was excellent! It’s a little hidden and you have to go through the market entrance. The salmon was great and I think the portion was perfect for me. I also got the carrot cake for dessert and it was super rich and dense. Super delicious spot for dinner!
Hannah M — Google review
I've not left a restaurant with such a deep understanding of its city like I have with Lake Avenue. Duluth's urban renewal is charming in the same way a childrens' soccer match is, in that there is an earnest attempt regardless of the result. The same cannot be said about Lake Avenue. A rotating menu will always be bold, and I would have commended them for this had the execution not been so poor. In the images I've included, you'll see the Tofu Masala ($24), the Mac and Cheese ($20), and the Steak Dinner ($53). While I cannot be certain which ingredients were used to push these dishes to such a steep price, I know salt was not one of them. The keen-eyed gourmet will undoubtedly spot the great unifying force of the culinary world, fresno chili and pickled red onion. The unnecessary inclusion of these in both the Tofu Masala and the Steak Dinner unfortunately speaks truth to Lake Avenue's attempt at being something it is not - a restaurant worthy of its prices. Neither the Steak nor Tofu Masala benefit from these flavors, but if your menu is on rotation and you lack the culinary experience to accommodate this, it does provide a universal shock to the palette that might distract your guests from the dish's lack of cohesion. In other circumstances, I would not be so harsh, but the $120 (pre-tip) bill my partner and I paid makes that irresponsible. This is Duluth, Minnesota; leave Lake Avenue, walk 20 seconds in any direction and you'll wind up in a T-Shirt shop or a Bar & Grill. Lake Avenue is not fighting the expectations of its patrons, but the ones that it sets upon itself. Find what works and do it well. No one is asking for anything else.

Our visit to Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar was truly enjoyable. We stopped by during a quiet period, so we were seated right away. One of the owners, who was both friendly and attentive, looked after us. We tried the Biscuits and Gravy (without the chili oil) and the Carrot Cake French Toast—both dishes were outstanding and unlike anything we'd tasted before. We're certain we'll return in the future.

Wonderful atmosphere. Nice attentive staff. Food was PHENOMINAL!! only thing I wish different is that the red snapper was the entire fish head on and scored. Most places that serve red snapper do the entire fish. Here it's only 1 fillet. The fish is not quite big enough to do only one fillet. But it was delicious! The calamari was some of the best I've ever had and im from florida and eat a LOT of calamari!

Great vibes, history and live 1930’s jazz music with no cover. A true speakeasy atmosphere. The drinks and service are top notch. No food available but you can bring your own food in. Bar service only the night we were there but signs said, “Have a seat and someone will be with you” so that was confusing.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my friends bachelorette party here! The vibes are amazing and the drinks are good aswell! We went on a Friday night and there was live music, which he did a fantastic job and even sang my friend a love song in honor of her upcoming wedding! Great ambience, and a fun place to check out. Good and plentiful seating options and there are always areas you could talk in even with live music. I tried three drinks. Two were fine, and one was great. Live jazz was good with original songs and covers, but do not believe their own website which claims silent movies will play on the big screen on Tuesdays . There are no silent movies and no screens of any size. The bar staff were confused when I asked about silent movies.

This is a unique little sandwich shop that offers some amazing sandwiches. They specialize in smoked fish - but everything we had here was good. They have a ton of different sandwich options. There is a line at all hours for a reason. The food is unreal and vibe is immaculate. Everyone who works there actually cares in some fashion about the place and the product. Pick something up from the deli or the merch wall before you go. Employees for the most part are the artists behind the many items for purchase. Get the Cajun Finn. And the hoodie. Perfection.

This is the second time we’ve eaten there, I don’t remember what kind of sandwich I had the first time, but it was absolutely fantastic. So this time I made a huge mistake, not remembering what I had before I ordered the gorilla, not wondering what kind of mustard they had on there. It was Dijon mustard, and that was the only thing I tasted. And it is not my favorite food. So the mistake was all mine. I thought my sandwich was awful, but my wife enjoyed hers. She even offered me part of hers. If the line wasn’t so long, I would’ve gone downstairs and ordered something different. Or maybe the same thing without the Dijon. Aside from that your food is really good, they even have a small deli next-door.

Food was amazing and decor was so cool with the fish on the walls. Not the easiest for handicap customers very confusing trying to get to bottom floor. Employee that was taking orders was unfriendly and not the most helpful for a first time customer. Seen this location all over TikTok that it was The Place to go. I had "The Big Dipper" had it with the porketta it was a great sandwich but the 3 Pepper Sauce was ICE cold which was a little disappointing I don't think its supposed to be served like that ... It would been a 10/10 with the sauce warm. With how high our lunch was my overall rating is 7.5/10.

Put in an order in advance (checked around noon - 1:30 and 1:30 were fully booked but managed to get a mid week 2 PM order in, it worked out since we were at Jay Cooke and by the time we drove into Duluth and enjoyed the lake walk area, our sandwiches were ready for us at the pickup counter, no wait). Delicious Cajun Finn - a perfect sandwich!! We also enjoyed the Italiansk though we found it to be actually more delicious the next day when the bread had softened with the oil and vinegar. The restaurant and market are in the basement of the building - head down the stairs and follow the clear arrow signage. There was a good amount of seating down there in addition to the outdoor tables.

For the pizza we had a Large "The Bear" meat lovers style. Might have liked a little more crispness to the crust... But all together it was good. Not heavy on sauce and a hand tossed light airy crust. Lasagna was fantastic. I would come back for this next time personally. Delicious red sauce with a great little bit of spice. Also did a Gouda Mac n cheese to go. It seized up after cooling so didn't hit as well, so not going to rate based on that. Large Pizza was $31 but other items were in the $10 to $15 dollar range. It was all really good. Only complaint I have is when I order an appetizer it should come out before your meal not with your meal. But our waitress was extremely nice and friendly, and yes everything we ordered was a hit with all off us.
Southern F — Google review
The food was ok. The bruschetta appetizer had no cheese and they did not give us enough bread. The stuffed shells were delicious but the portion was a bit small. The sandwich and salad bowl were also decent. Service was ok and the wait wasn’t too long even though the restaurant was busy. Atmosphere was good and the table was clean.

Good service, great food. Even the simple traditional Italian spaghetti and meatballs was a delightful experience. And the deserts were fire, the peanut butter brownie sundae was MASSIVE, so be warned, you will need to share it.

Quite an interesting pizza offering. Glad it was all thin crust. Best part was the bar vibes. Love that neon sign!

This place has been amazing for many years and is a fun place to hang out for pizza and drinks. There is so much to this place and its all great. The food was fabulous as it always is. We had a couple pizzas and they both were great flavor, cooked perfectly and perfect amount of toppings. I love the mixed drinks they make, blackberry lemon martinis are a favorite. Service is excellent, they are very good at making sure to get to everyone in a timely manner and make it inviting to be there. Can't wait to go back!

Stopped in for a pizza after hiking at Jay Cooke state park. I got a gluten free pizza and mocktail they where both delicious. I always enjoy the art inside the dinning area.

Nestled in the port town of Duluth, Minnesota, At Sara's Table Chester Creek Cafe offers a farm-to-table menu with international influences in a charming setting. The cafe serves eclectic new American cuisine with options ranging from vegan granola for breakfast to Baileys Irish Cream frosted cupcakes for dessert.
The French toast was so good! The atmosphere was so cute on the cafe side! Light and airy and very cutesy. We were sat on the bar side and it was also cute just kind of a darker aesthetic! Our server was very nice and you could tell she loved her job! She was very insightful about menu items and helped some of my friends decide what to order!

Amazing atmosphere, great food, great service, reasonable prices! What more can you ask! We went there for breakfast on a Saturday morning and there was like a 5 min wait for the patio (we had a dog with us). The service was awesome! And the food was just as good! I got the pancake and my wife got the eggs florantine( I think) and it was just what we were looking for!

Visiting Duluth, eat like a local here. It’s locally owned, an eclectic atmosphere with outstanding service and food. The homemade cherry Danish was flaky and buttery. Two of us shared the Cowboy Hash. It was flavorful with tender chunks of brisket with a delightful Harissa sauce. So good! You will love it here.
Suzanne D — Google review
Cowboy hash was delicious. The brisket in it was awesome, I only wish the eggs were less hard. The bread and jam really were a surprising treat too. We did have to wait about 20 minutes but you can order a coffee while you wait or sit at the bar or outside. I love the ambience - the bookshelves and big cozy booths especially. The Bloody Mary came with a good bent paddle chaser although there was no cheese/meat on the skewer (you could pay a whopping three extra dollars for a single slice of bacon added). The prices were the real downside here. At least on the breakfast front it seemed like a comparable restaurant would charge a few bucks less for a similar dish.
Sydney K — Google review
Probably my favorite breakfast in Duluth. Very fun options with all locally sourced ingredients. It's always pretty busy, but they keep things moving really well. The biscuit and berries is incredible. If you like a biscuit please get it. The Benedict with the wild rice sausage patties is one of the best breakfasts you can have. Service is always really good and quick. Come here if you have the chance!
Ben G — Google review
Cozy space with a view from the patio down to the lake. Came for a late weekday lunch with hopes of enjoying breakfast and coffee. Enjoyed the Cowboy Hash with a Honey Bee Latte. Finished off with a brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Felt like elevated comfort food - lovely, relaxed meal on a quiet patio. Kelly was attentive and engaged as a server. Inside, I loved the wrap around bookshelves offering used books, what a fun idea for the space. Would definitely return for breakfast or lunch!

What a true farm to table restaurant with a unique and cozy atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of variety and options as well as drinks. I tried their curry which was my favorite, my boyfriend tried Korean barbecue chicken sandwich with their truffle fries. For our dessert we had their peanut butter mocha which was delicious.

Phenomenal food. I had the chicken curry and my wife had the bison and wild rice polenta. Both dishes were gluten free. Great list of coffee and teas. The wine pairings were spot on. Cannot wait to go back again.

A must-stop in Duluth for phenomenal cocktails! We loved the fondue for two as well. The vibe is swanky/rat pack and the lounge has ample seating for groups of all sizes.

Simply put, Black Water Lounge is a wonderful establishment with great food and spirits.l Great vibes and good tunes. 👍 I highly recommend stopping in and dining on some sushi while enjoying martinis and cocktails. The staff are always very polite and well informed on their menu and drink selection.

If I could give more stars I would. The ambiance was great. I loved the dim lighting and seating. It made it feel like an upscale bar. They have a lot of variety of beverages. Martinis, scotch, bourbon, etc. What really topped off our experience was our server, Claire! She was really attentive and sweet. She was on top of it whenever our water or beverages were low and kept refilling when needed. She was very personable and kind. I couldn't ask for more. That's what we would expect coming to a place like this or anywhere for that matter We need more of her! She catered everything we asked for! She was really on the ball and helped us with recommendations. Would come back just for the experience and ambience. I hope to have her again as a server! The music was very chill, but fitting for the lounge. I would highly recommend coming for something low-key.

Great experience. Note-it is a seat yourself situation and it was fairly busy. I sat down and had fairly quick service. Had a great martini and the bites and frites were very good as well.

We were here Saturday night. They weren't too busy. The service was great and the drinks came so fast! Ambience was perfect and you got to pick where you sit. They had a number of different fun seating areas to choose from whether you were there with a big group or if you wanted something more intimate. We got the steak bites that came with fries. Yummy and I really liked the spicy ketchup.
Joanna G — Google review
Best place to go, hands down, for date night or girls night... if you're looking for drinks and a light meal or apps. The martinis are delish, as is the food! And of course, the loungy atmosphere with the big comfy chairs is a bonus. Fondue for two is a favorite!

We had the cheese fondue - for under $20 it was literally a full meal! The meat was so tender and was served with apples, grapes and bread - it was so much higher quality fare than the price. One MUST try the Absinthe fountain pour- such a classy experience- everything about this bar and restaurant is top notch and servers friendly; live jazz music from 6-9 pm which was a relaxing plus! Great location and not too loud - romantic and modern renovation. with vintage, speak-easy a decor! Offer and extensive whiskey and bourbon list too- must go before it becomes too popular!!

This was such a fun experience. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you are part of their family. Sit anywhere you feel comfortable, for real. Don't skip the fondue for two. It was so amazing 🤩

Cocktail bar
Restaurant
Nestled in a historic building, Jade Fountain Cocktail Lounge is the brainchild of Duluth native Kai Soderberg, who brought his passion for craft cocktails back to his hometown. The lounge opened its doors in 2020 amidst the pandemic, revitalizing the iconic space that had been empty since 2015. With a laid-back 70s vibe and an exotic collection of specialty drinks, this former Chinese restaurant now serves as a Polynesian Tiki bar offering classic tropical cocktails.
They’ve always had out of this world cocktails, but have you had their WINGS?! I’m not even a wing person and I cant wait for more. 3/23/24- they have wings Weds through Sat. Anything on the special board is worth trying. The daiquiri is perfection.
Anne C — Google review
Enjoyed the vibe here, neat cocktail lounge with some fun drink options!
Sarah S — Google review
Enjoyed it. We’ve been coming to Jade Fountain once a year when we’re in the area visiting our son, for several years now. We’ve always ordered their Old Fashioned, so tonight was no exception. I wasn’t too fond of the bourbon used but the drink was well made and was on a nice big ice cube. The vibe here is “speakeasy” in my opinion. Each time we’ve been here, there’s only one person working and he stays busy. But he is very efficient, so we’ve never waited long for our drinks. One room here has a small stage and PA setup. We’ve never been here when they had entertainment. But they always have music on in the background for ambiance. Thanks Jade Fountain for capping off our week-long visit to Duluth. See you next time.

Weird and wonderful. Delicious cocktail called 'No Fun' did not live up to its name.
Sarah O — Google review
Everyone was great! The bar tenders are awesome and the music is awesome! It can be really overwhelming without a friend though and the place is rather small so it can be a lot for someone who prefers having larger spaces- but I enjoy it. The lighting is so pretty and fun.

Jade Fountain is a Duluth gem. Awesome cocktails, super cool feel, and wonderful service. We arrived shortly after they opened and just one other couple was in the bar. The owner was the sole employee at the time and went out of his way to serve us. We chatted about the cocktail lounge and life. All of the drinks were delicious and unique. Throughout our weekend we found ourselves back at Jade Fountain three times and worked our way through everything on the menu, revisiting some of our favorites along the way. They do a great job of combining interesting flavors and spins on well-known, without going over the top. Expertly made, with enough variety to always find something new. The decor is truly amazing. As one might guess from the name, this cocktail lounge is in a former Chinese restaurant. The feel is certainly there but the walls are also filled with wonderful and weird. There's so much to look at and explore. The space is huge. Three large rooms allow for plenty of spirit sipping spaces. The bar area and lounge, a chill middle section with seating comfortable chairs, and an area with a pingpong table towards the bathrooms. There'll be no shortage of conversation as your eyes constantly find new things wandering the walls. Jade Fountain Cocktail Lounge is an absolutely awesome spot to stop. Wonderful drinks, great people, and cool decor, they'll certainly be a spot we go to every visit to Duluth.
Ben B — Google review
It has a very unique and interesting decor. The bartender, Alex was a cool dude and knew his drinks well. The menu is pretty small but I'm sure they'd do all the classics in addition to the menu. I've been there several times and the vibes are always good

Duluth Grill is a beloved restaurant in Duluth, MN, offering a warm and modern atmosphere with an extensive breakfast menu. Known for its made-from-scratch dishes and fresh ingredients, the restaurant offers hearty options like the Billy Bob Burrito and Deluxe Biscuits & Gravy.
This is a must stop for great breakfast or lunch when near Duluth. It was very busy the day we went, but only a few minutes wait for a table. The servers are all attentive and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of gluten free options. The grits were amazing. The rusted brussel sprouts were great. Delicious thick cut bacon. My family thought the cinnamon roll French toast was the best ever! They have home made lemonade, custom coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, and brunch cocktails. We went at lunch time on a weekday, and it was rather loud. But the food is so good.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! My friends and I stopped here this morning on our way into Duluth and I’m so glad we did. The atmosphere was perfect, although it was super busy when we arrived , we were able to get seated fairly quickly! The cleanliness of the restaurant was a HUGE plus , each and every staff member/waiter was so welcoming! To top it off the food was incredible! The Barbacoa has was filled with so much flavor! Can’t say enough about it 🤍 also the farmers eggs was the perfect breakfast for my morning! 10 out of five stars! ⭐️ best part about it is breakfast and LUNCH served all day!! Plates were all beautifully presented!

Duluth Grill is a great place to grab some breakfast. They have a nice sized menu with takes on classics as well as some of their own special dishes. They even make most things on their menu from scratch even down things like their ketchup and lemonade. We tried quite a few things, and while the cinnamon roll was on the sweeter side it was still moist and fluffy. Everything else we have was very very fresh and not greasy at all. The main thing to note is the wait times. On average you may wait anywhere from 30mins to over an hour for a table depending on party size and where you want to sit. Definitely a must stop for anyone in Duluth looking for a good breakfast.
Ben R — Google review
The Duluth Grill was worth the 40 minute wait! I would definitely plan ahead if you want to eat her during peak hours. We had a party of five and we all had something different. Everybody raved about their food. Service was outstanding too! The standouts were the barbacoa hash and the brussel sprouts.

While it’s quite busy on the weekends, it’s worth it. Great food with local Minnesota North woods flair. There is also a fantastic tea bar with specialty drinks. I return here whenever I’m in the area and I’ve never been disappointed. Great skillets, hash, and burritos (the Billy Bob is out of this world) for breakfast and brunch.

Lines are long but it is very easy to see why. The food is fantastic, easily the best chicken sandwich of my life. The server (Vera I think) was absolutely fantastic and was extremely careful with allergies. Cannot recommend enough!

The service was some of the best I've had. The food was delicious. I had the CU Tomago. It was a little difficult to eat but the flavors were amazing. I personally think the Korean brussel sprouts was the best part of the whole meal. I also ordered a Prickly Pear Lemonade-- very sweet and tangy refresher to go with your brunch!

Grandma's Saloon & Grill is a beloved dining spot with a vintage atmosphere and classic American fare. With two locations in Duluth, the Canal Park site offers outdoor seating and a bustling tourist scene, while the Miller Hill location has its own charm. The menu features an array of pasta, sandwiches, and burgers that have garnered national recognition.
Great location and great enviornment but a bit noisy so if that’s not your vibe I’d not come or arrive earlier. There’s a normal booth seating area but also a bar seating area. I got Smoky Baked Mac N’ Cheese which was extremely good and I’d definitely eat again if I returned. They’ve got a decent range of dishes such as pasta, side pieces, beverages, a kid menu, starters, burgers, salads, sandwiches, and such. The pieces around the restaurant on the walls, ceiling, and such were quite unique and had good humour to it. They’ve also got a merchandise/souvenir section right next to the entrance/exit.

We wanted to try Grandma’s because it is a popular spot in Duluth. We loved the theme and ambience of the restaurant. There were so many things to look at! We got there as the restaurant opened, so we were seated quickly. The food was mediocre. It was nothing that stood out from the other places we ate at in Duluth. Serving was huge though! Our server was not great. It seemed like she didn’t really want to be there. She was rude to some members of our party. She gave the vibe that we should be grateful that she was even taking our order. Overall, Grandma’s was an experience. I think if you’re in Duluth, you should at least try it once. Will we come back? No.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch on our way up north and had the most amazing time!!! The atmosphere was so fun, the food was delicious (huge portions) and the service was incredible. Our server, Lisa, went above and beyond to give us everything we needed (despite us being quite indecisive). We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Lisa!!!!

We recently had the opportunity to dine at Grandma’s Saloon & Grill for the first time. Although we have frequently visited Duluth while traveling to and from the North Shore, we had never had the chance to visit Grandma’s until now. On a summer weekday afternoon, the establishment was half full. The service was excellent, and we were impressed by the ambiance. However, the food was average and somewhat overpriced. I opted for the Chicken Pot Pie, while my wife chose the Walleye.

Nice atmosphere. Trout sandwich had very little meat or substance. Chicken sandwiches looked good, not toasted bread. No refills on water. Seemed too busy to check on customers. Fun experience overall, food looked good. Fries and fried cheese were great.

Whewww…We had a great experience at Grandma’s Saloon & Grill. The wait time was minimal, and the staff was friendly from the moment we walked in. Our waiter, Brenden, was an absolute pleasure—he remembered our entire order perfectly and was incredibly attentive throughout the meal. The barbecue wings were a standout! They were perfectly sauced with just the right amount of smoky sweetness. Excellent service all around!

What a great themed restaurant with great food, service, and atmosphere. The pictures do not do it justice. This is a must see and experience restaurant if you’re in the Duluth area. One star for the hostess that tried to make things right. Server was garbage! He never asked us every once if we wanted a cocktail - threw our food down in front of us. Didn’t listen to what we actually ordered never checked on us to see if it was correct which it was not. The view is nice But I’ve never had such terrible food and service. Senior citizens are the main consumers- Customer service and food quality is not their specialty. I would never go here again.

Amazing service. Off to a rough start. We were seated in the club room right next to a family that had 0 control of their children. They were very loud, jumping around in the booth and hitting the bench. I privately asked the server if we could be moved and they were quick to make it happen. Lobster bisque we ordered to share 10/10 Brussel sprouts we ordered to share 8/10, temperature could have been hotter. London road burger 10/10. This was a huge hit Macs meatloaf 9/10. Would definitely order again Swedish meatballs 5/10. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good but the meatballs didn't get eaten after we all got a taste. Seafood cioppino 12/10 this was fantastic - the potatos could have been left off

Duluth's Black Woods Bar & Grill “Blew My Mind!”—5 Stars of Northwoods Magic! 🍖🔥 (Hidden Gem Alert: You’ll Never Leave Hungry!) # #CertifiedSearchPro Holy smokes, Duluth foodies—Black Woods Bar & Grill is the ultimate spot for that hearty, feel-good meal that'll transport you straight to a cozy Minnesota cabin! Tucked away in the heart of Duluth, this place nails the rustic vibe with its warm wood-paneled walls, crackling fireplaces (perfect for those chilly lake days), and an ambiance that screams 'up-north retreat.' Whether you're grabbing a booth inside or chilling on their patio with views of the surrounding woods, it's like stepping into a lodge from the old logging era—think antler chandeliers, vintage photos of Duluth's timber history, and that inviting glow that makes you want to linger for hours. It's family-friendly yet date-night perfect, with a menu that celebrates all things Minnesota fresh and flavorful. The food? Out-of-this-world delicious! We're talking juicy prime rib slow-roasted to perfection, walleye fillets pan-fried with that crispy edge (a true North Shore staple), and burgers stacked high with local cheeses and bacon that'll make your taste buds dance. Don't sleep on their craft cocktails or the extensive beer list featuring Minnesota brews—pair it with apps like the wild rice soup or onion rings, and you're in heaven. The portions are massive (pro tip: share if you don't want to roll out the door!), and the service is top-notch—friendly staff who treat you like old friends, sharing stories about Duluth's hidden trails while refilling your drinks. The ONLY quirky downside? The portions are SO generous, you might need a nap afterward—it's like they feed lumberjacks here! 😂 But hey, that's just more bang for your buck in this food paradise. No regrets, just full tummy and happy memories. If you're in Duluth, this is a MUST-VISIT for epic eats and that authentic Northwoods charm. Who's joining me for round two? We had an incredible dining experience at Blackwood’s Grill and Bar in Duluth, MN. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and comfortable, the kind of place where you know you're in for a great meal and an even better time. The food was outstanding across the board. We started with the soup, which was rich, hearty, and full of flavor, clearly made from scratch. The drinks were well-balanced and expertly crafted, with something for everyone in our group. The highlight of the night, though, was definitely the entrées. The walleye was cooked to perfection, flaky, tender, and seasoned just right, a true taste of the Northwoods. The steak was equally impressive, juicy and full of flavor with a beautiful sear on the outside and a perfect medium rare inside. What truly elevated the experience was the service. Our waitress was fantastic — attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and incredibly professional. She checked in with us frequently to make sure we were happy with everything and kept our drinks and table in perfect order throughout the evening. It’s rare to find a place that nails it on all fronts; food, drinks, atmosphere, and service; but Blackwood’s delivered on every level. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Duluth, this is one spot that deserves a visit. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we’ll be back. Highly, highly recommend!

Tavern on the Hill is a popular spot known for its Greek wood-fired pizza and seasonal bites. The place offers a variety of dishes, including shrimp tacos with fresh ingredients that stand out. Since opening in 2014, it has become a local hot spot with great drinks, an awesome patio with a fire pit, and a diverse menu to cater to all tastes. The restaurant also emphasizes sourcing the freshest and healthiest products from local partners while supporting the community's growth.
Really liked the atmosphere here as soon as we walked in the restaurant. Service was friendly, prompt and overall exceptional. The food was bonkers good for everyone in my family and that's with two picky children. I chose the steak cheesy ciabatta with the tavern slaw and I was blown away. The blackened cream cheese on that sandwich is what really pushed it over the edge from awesome to out of this world. I chose the tavern slaw as my side upgrade which was some of the best I've ever eaten as it had kind of a southwestern flavor profile. They also have an awesome rewards program with great deals like $1 meals for kids. We'll come back again in the future!

This place is a MUST stop. We had an amazing experience here for lunch today. They have a pet friendly patio with a lot of seating. On my way out I noticed they have blankets you can borrow for days it randomly gets chilly which I LOVE. We got the honey bbq bone in wings and they were amazing! All the wings were fully covered in sauce and they were perfectly cooked. I got the ahi tuna burger and I will say it was a bland burger with very minimal sauce and a lot of avocado. Don’t get me wrong, I love the avocado. In my opinion, if you’re gonna have a lot of avocado, you also need to have some sauce . I also had a soggy bottom bun but luckily the server checked in right away when I saw it and brought me a new bun right away. I upgraded to the sweet potato fries and they are the second best I have had ! They also have really cool lemonade flavors like blueberry and lavender. The service provided by Hunter was absolutely amazing. He was on top of everything and very kind. We ordered just a burger for my dog and he even went out of his way to make sure that the burgers were not seasoned so my dog would not get sick.

Fries were the best part about the meal! The burger and salad were just average anywhere. The local Pistachio beer was definitely yummy. So I took my wife out for a date. And this was the site for our first date years ago. The place wasn't busy at all and there were 4 waitress there plus a bar tender. We ordered a drink and steak bits as an app. And Burgers. Drinks came there were great. But 22 min. later we were not checked on and drinks and water were gone. Another waitress came out and gave us our steak bits and walked away real fast! Our steak bits consisted of maybe and I say maybe 2 pieces that would be considered a bit for a small child, the rest were speaks of meat and all of it was BURNT to charcoal. There is no way the cook didn't see this because each burnt piece was hidden facedown and covered real well with the fried onions that were old and stale. Took another 20 min. for waitress to finally come back and check on us after I complained to the bartender. I showed her this, she stated there is no excuse for this and would talk to the chef but at this point we were already just done with it. I told her ill ay for the drinks but we were leaving I cant trust the chef or staff, they al allowed this to pass to the customer. ME and my wife. She wouldn't take money for the drinks. Nice and we left her a tip for the drinks. But we will not go back there and its a shame, the place has sentimental value to us.

Very nice place. Clean, good atmosphere. Very very good food that is beautiful, fresh, and amazing. We went here twice during our trip to Duluth. Shout out to our servers Paige and Joey who were attentive and very friendly.

Restaurant
The New Scenic Café is an intimate restaurant offering sophisticated New American cuisine with partial lake views and a garden. During the pandemic, the café was mostly closed, but owner Scott Graden started a food truck called Scenic 61 to fill the void during warmer months. The food truck, housed in an Airstream trailer, served classic menu items like lobster rolls and salmon burgers at Canal Park.
Jackson was friendly and went the extra mile for my grandparents (ages 89 and 91) - food was SO good- happy I could eat a meal that was totally gluten and dairy free and delicious! Can’t wait to go back! I recommend reservations as it was busy! Only took off one star for atmosphere as it was really hot, it’s a small building😃

Wow! Outstanding food. Amazing service. So glad we picked the New Scenic Cafe to celebrate our anniversary! We had the deviled eggs, mussels, lobster roll, scallops and Bear chocolate cake. Best meal we’ve had dining out in awhile. Jolene was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We highly recommend if you’re looking for something a little different and something with amazing food.

Scandinavian inspired, IKEA meets the woods. Service started out strong then became a little less thorough, not sure if they were stretched thin that night. I had the Rack of lamb and my friend had the game plate. I loved the lamb rack. The game plate was fun, venison, duck, Qual. The 3% surcharge for credit cards is kind or ridiculous considering the price point and markup on beverages. The bonfire outside while you wait for a table is really nice.

Went with a friend last weekend and LOVED it. Sat in room that overlooks the lake but since we arrived shortly before closing it was too dark to see anything unfortunately. The service was nothing short of amazing….unfortunately I forgot his name but he was personable and very enthusiastic! When we asked him his option he gave us a rundown of the entire menu in detail (not too long) so we could make the best decision…definitely made the experience better! We split: 1. For the life of me I can’t remember what the first one was (with the beef and leaf on top) - (4.5/5) BUT it delicious - wish it were a little bigger though 2. Swedish Meatballs - (4.5/5) - amazing 3. Chicken - (4/5) very tasty and the sauce was good (and I don’t like mushrooms so that’s saying a lot) 4. Brioche French Toast (1000000000/5) - If I ever go back to Duluth I’m going back because of this! No exaggeration to say one of the best desserts I’ve ever had and I have a massive sweet tooth. A couple walking out felt the need to tell us to get that dessert (unsolicited) and 2 guys sitting beside us also got it and seeing two grown men bouncing up and down in their seats while eating was enough to get me to try it…it was heavenly.

This place is a true gem. It's not to out of the way either. Fortunately someone recommended this place to me, so I knew where to find it. I stopped in on my way back from visiting Two Harbors and Split Rock. Service was great and so was the food. I had the special...Sashimi Tuna Tacos and a glass of white wine. Yum...Yum...Yum!!! The place itself was rustic and charming. After eating I sat outside in one of the lawn chairs and soaked in the amazing view of the lake. Side note...when they hand you your bill they also give you a journal to write about your experience there. Love that!

This was probably the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in the past decade. My wife and I made a reservation for ourselves plus our 5-month old at new Scenic Café based on recommendations from friends and rave reviews on the Internet. Our experience was anything but rave. Food. We ordered a few oysters on the half shell. The accompaniments on the plate were nice, but the oysters themselves were small and notably the least cold of any raw oyster I’ve ever been served. We also ordered the muscles at our waiters recommendation. The curry broth was fine, but rather one note with just curry flavor. The only dish that we thought was good and lived up to this restaurant’s fine dining aspirations was the plum, which was artfully plated and had fantastic textures. We had the Swedish meatballs that our waiter recommended and described as “ definitely better than IKEA”, which only invited the comparison and they honestly were quite similar. Finally, we had the miso Seabass, which was well prepared and tender. The accompaniment of seaweed, carrot and radish felt like an afterthought. The seaweed tasted the same as something you would get from a package. Service. Our service was awful. Our waiter was boisterous with menu recommendations when we first sat down and then abandoned our table for at least 30 minutes while tending to a much larger table. He finally came back and took our order and there was a long wait for our appetizers to arrive, probably another 45 minutes. A while after we had finished the appetizers, we noticed the waiter walking our way and quickly wheel back around towards the kitchen. He came back about five minutes later to say that the kitchen hadn’t forgotten about us, and that our food was being worked done. We then waited at least another half hour. In the meantime, we watched entire courses be brought out to other tables. At this point, our waiter came by and did mention that dessert would be on the restaurant due to the delay. After waiting another 15 minutes, our food finally arrived as the last guests in the restaurant besides us left. Our waiter became more sparse by this point, presumedly avoiding us due to the awkwardness of the situation. At the end of the night, the waiter came by and amended his prior offer of dessert and suggested that he could send us home with a piece of cake to go, presumably because the kitchen had now closed as we were the only people left in the restaurant and they would not want to reopen it to make dessert. On reflection, there were multiple points, where I wish that our waiter would have realized that he was not providing proper service to our table and is inattentiveness was causing delays. I would typically expect that he would ask other staff to help or ask his manager for assistance. Atmosphere. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, we were placed in a room with two other small tables and one table of approximately 20 people. Due to the small size of the room, this table was extremely loud. I don’t fault the patrons, but do you think that the restaurant should not have seated other guests in this room with such a large party there. We are neither strangers to find dining nor are we frequently eating nice meals out. We really enjoy cooking for ourselves and love going to fine dining restaurants that we think are doing things better than we could accomplish at home, all well enjoying a level of service that makes the experience feel special. With regards to the food, New Scenic Cafe is not doing anything so innovative or special so as to make the food itself feel special or worth the high price that they are asking. I have been to plenty of other restaurants that disappoint somewhat on food and that is fine. However, I do hope for an experience and service that make up for what the food itself cannot accomplish. Unfortunately, this is where Scenic Cafe fell flat. What a disappointment and low point for an otherwise nice trip to the North Shore. Next time we’ll just stop at Culvers.

Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Creative takes on classic dishes. NOT for you if you are looking for great big helpings of comfort food. This is proper cuisine. Modest helpings of food that is adventurous interesting and delicious. Mission figs with blue cheese and walnuts. Meatballs in cream sauce. A Vietnamese sandwich that I can't spell with a side of kimchee. Six different NA beers! Great service. Pleasant bistro atmosphere. Plenty of free parking. During the summer and fall tourist season, there are long waits to get in. We went in the middle of the afternoon in November and were seated right away.

Nestled in the heart of Canal Park, Bellisio's Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar is a delightful haven for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. Since its inception in 1999, this charming eatery has been celebrated for its extensive wine selection—boasting over 500 varieties, with many available by the glass. The ambiance captures the essence of rustic Italian dining, featuring both an inviting indoor space and a picturesque outdoor patio perfect for al fresco meals.
We wanted a little classy on our vacation and decided to try Belliso's. I can say none of us were disappointed. The food was perfectly done and the flavor was spot on. We had the Chicken Marsala and the Shrimp and Lobster Linguine. Two of us splint the Linguine and they brought it out on two separate plates. We chose to sit outside on the little patio at night. The obiounce was perfect and you felt like a little like Italy. Our server was Josh and he was very attentive and friendly. He did an awesome job and we wanted to make sure he gets the recognition he earned! If you are hanging out in Canal Park looking for a good Italian spot this is your spot

Some friends and I were visiting from out of town and called this restaurant to see if they had openings around 8 PM. They were really kind and had openings for a party of seven last minute.✨ There was nothing wrong with the service that we received. Our waiter was very kind and personable. She helped educate us on the wide selection and helped us select a wine. I am disappointed with the food. Their prices were very high, despite not having quality food. The shrimp was very gummy. There was barely any lobster in our pasta dish. The mashed potatoes was very small. The steak was cooked perfect, but the seasoning was very bland. I was very disappointed due to spending $140 not including tip. The dishes were surprisingly small for the amount of money I paid. I had to stop at another restaurant to pick up food because I was still hungry. Overall, they have a great wine selection, but for the food they should improve on the quality of their dishes. I will not be coming back to this restaurant.

We stumbled on this place during a roadtrip and wow! The best service we have had in our travels by far. Then the food was just amazing! The bolognese was fantastic as well as the seafood angel hair pasta dish. If you're in the mood for great Italian and amazing service, we highly recommend.

Worth a splurge! The interior was very classy, and my husband and I worried we were underdressed, but the service was so friendly that our fears quickly passed. Every host and server greeted us with a smile, and our waiter, Josh, took great care of us. We started with the Artisan Cheese Platter (excellent), and I enjoyed the super flavorful Pappardelle Seafood Puttanesca and my husband had the Walleye Milanese. There were an overwhelming amount of wines to choose from, so if you’re a wine snob, this place is a must-visit (my husband and I just Googled what wines pair well with our entrees). For dessert, we enjoyed a great creme brulee that wasn’t too sweet. I took home plenty of leftovers.

We stopped in one evening after hiking all day up the north shore. When we walked in, we felt we were not dressed up to the required level, but they assured us we were very welcome, regardless how we were dressed. The food was delicious and the service was superb. We will be coming here again, but this time we will shower and wear nicer clothes!

I rarely leave reviews, but my family & I had an excellent dining experience last week! The ambience was wonderful, and though the restaurant was clearly busy, everything ran smoothly. The food was great, and the service was exceptional! Our server Josh did a fantastic job, went above & beyond to make our night special, & deserves recognition for his outstanding service. Thank you, Josh, for taking such great care of us!!! AND for encouraging me to try the escargot! 🤤 (My Dad is still teasing me for ever being squeamish. 😂) Thank you & we’ll be back!

Stopped in with my wife before a concert. We weren't really looking for anything special, but we certainly found something special at Bellisios! The atmosphere was very nice, and the food was nothing short of AMAZING!! I had the 12 oz. Fillet mignon, and I can honestly say it was the best steak I've had anywhere in the state. My wife was also very impressed with her seafood linguini. Is it a bit on the expensive side? Yes, but you most definitely get what you pay for. I seriously cannot recommend Bellisios highly enough. If you are looking for fine dining in Duluth, look no further.

We were happy with our service, but I do not recommend the Whitefish Pot Pie. Clever idea since it is supposed to be fresh from local suppliers, but poorly executed. Appearance was nice, but was very bland, dry since there was no sauce, and instead of chunks of whitefish it was minced to the point you couldn't tell it was actually fish. It was $32, and ended up not eating it. They tried making up a sauce for it which we appreciated, but it equally had no taste. Thankfully they did not charge me for the meal which I appreciate.

Read the mission statement description on the menu title page that includes the words"Deversity, Equity, and Inclusion". Sounds good, but why does this always include staff with brightly colored hair and too many ear/nose rings? Why does it feel like we are being judged by staff in these places like we may not be good enough to associate with the mall? All of this is good and fine until you sit down with your family of four for dinner. Your family begins to eat, finishes their meal, and you or I am still waiting for our steak. Curious, I walked down the stairs near the kitchen to hear a conversation that my meal was not started at all. Well, or at least at the same time as my family's, gr! I waited about thirty odd minutes. My family done with their meal, I received my meal(see attached photo full pate and empty plates) The floor manager was great dealing with their mistake taking my meal of the tab. The bartender was not very understanding, making a comment, "Well, working in a restaurant you would know what it can be like." My point is; Food was great, most staff had good intentions, but if a person doesn't focus on their basic job, all efforts are for not. Their mission statement, the nice restaurant, the staff, the discounted meal, etc. means nothing when my poor experience is all I can remember. Always focus on the very important details of your job/mission and your goals will always fall in to place.

Excellent food and service! The Whitefish and grits was great, curry the best and mussels, steak bites so good. The bread though...omg..I almost said "let's forego dinner and just eat this bread" it's that good.

This place is a gem! Everything we ordered was incredible. Very vegan friendly and many sober options. We got the trout, pork, wild rice bowl, vegan scallops, and the bahn mi with soup. So good! The flavors were well balanced and the food was nutritious and filling. Highly recommend the tofu it was so flavorful. As well as the vegan scallops. We had someone who hated mushrooms but they actually loved the trumpet mushroom scallops. Yum! Everyone was happy.

What a delightful experience. Dinner before seeing a show at the Duluth Playhouse/NorShor Theater. Very upbeat vibe, great cocktails, and a small but amazing menu. Very unique entree preparations that were fresh and tasty. The Vegan Scallops were the most surprising and a must try if you love scallops and/or mushrooms! Highly recommend this establishment.

Great service, huge portions, and really good food! We ordered a soup and a main each and were stuffed. Their wild rice and chicken and orange ginger carrot soups were hearty and fresh. The fish sandwich was so flavorful and came with the biggest side of fries. Bonus points for the great poster display outside the bathrooms. Definitely check it out!

Zeitgeist currently offers a selection of vegan appetizers, salads, soups, bowls, and sandwiches, but they did not have vegan entrees or desserts on the menu. The atmosphere is upscale and modern. However, it's worth noting that during our visit, they seemed to be experiencing a staffing shortage. Therefore, I would recommend making reservations in advance since there are limited tables available, and you might experience a longer wait for your meal. We ordered the vegan báhn mi, vegan ginger carrot soup, vegan scallops and vegan fried wild rice bowl. The presentation of all the dishes was quite appealing, and I must say, the vegan scallops were the best I've ever had - truly delicious! Overall, it was a pretty good experience, and I particularly enjoyed the lovely atmosphere.

Nestled in the heart of Duluth at 1332 East 4th Street, Burrito Union is a charming Mexican eatery that exudes a rustic vibe and offers an inviting atmosphere. This locally owned gem has become a favorite among residents, college students, and visitors alike since its inception in 2007. Known for its creative burrito offerings—including the unique annual Thanksgiving burrito—Burrito Union also serves up mouthwatering avocado and shrimp tacos alongside pub-style appetizers.
Always one of my favorite places to pop in with a group or solo. The vibes are here. Mondays $5 margaritas are one of my favorite specials. Got the big block burrito. Staff is always chill and accommodating.

I am positive that I have reviewed this place previously, but it appears to be gone. I've been here a couple times, most recently in summer 2024. They serve some tasty Fitgers beers, and their burritos are what the chain restaurants used to serve but mostly don't any more. Lots of add-ons on the bill (see photo).

I love the burritos here but lately I’ve noticed a lot of inconsistencies with the burrito. I always order the Rackner and sometimes it’s amazing and sometimes it’s meh or terrible. Tonight was especially terrible with one half of the burrito being almost completely plain rice and mostly cold cheese and the other side with ALL the meat and sauce.

I unfortunately waited 2 years to have a chance to try this burrito, and I wish I had not waited so long. The Vegan Socialist is one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. Stuffed to almost bursting with gooey well seasoned veggies, rice, guac, and salsa in a soft flour tortilla. Everything was distributed evenly throughout so every bite was delicious. I only wish the filling had been piping hot, or that they had griddled the burrito to make it a little hotter and crispy. This will definitely be a regular stop from now on. Picture obviously doesn’t do it justice, lol.

Dubh Linn Brew Pub is a lively Irish pub and microbrewery known for its old-school charm, bar-food menu, and whiskey selection. The pub houses a nano micro-brewery where small batches of beer are handcrafted, allowing for experimentation with flavors and high-quality brews. From seasonal varieties to classic pub ales, visitors can sample different drinks or opt for a flight to taste test four selections.
To be fair, there was only one bartender, and he was servicing the whole place to the best of my knowledge. The food was phenomenal, and the service was extremely exceptional for one person! Would highly recommend. They have free pool and shuffleboard, other board games , and cozy places to sit.

We went on a Saturday night for one of their comedy shows and had a solid good time. The drinks were strong, the atmosphere was exactly as a pub should be and the service was spot on. The comedians need to see a therapist about their obsession with their history of, apparently incessant, pubescent masterbation! Unfortunately they both seemed to think that was the only subject they could find that would ensure laughter. It was funny for about 10 minutes but then it felt like middle school for the remainder of the show. The food was fair, my wife had fish and chips and enjoyed her basket. I had the shepard's pie and it was decent but way over salted and I like salty food. But, thankfully, like I said earlier, the drinks were really strong.

My wife and I have been homeless in Duluth for the past 6 months. This bar and one of it's employees became the first time I have experienced discrimination in Duluth due to our status as homeless. The bartender working last night opened the front door as we stood on a public sidewalk next to the bar. We were not there long, and we weren't disruptive or causing and issues at all nor were we blocking access to customers in any way. The bartender looked at my wife, a friend who is also homeless in a wheel chair, and my wife then proceeded to tell us we could not be standing by his business because we were turning away customers. I couldn't believe he discriminated because he knew we are homeless. Duluth has an enormous problem on their hands with the overwhelming population of homeless. Many of us have done nothing to deserve homelessness, we're also not drug addicts who choose to spend their money on drugs rather than necessities. Personally, I grew up in a wealthier family and have vacationed here since I was born. I have an education and owned my own business that was very successful. I went from the top of society to the bottom in a short period of time which was not my fault unfortunately. If you have any morals. If you have a heart, and if you believe stereotyping, and discrimination regardless of the situation is wrong do not patronize this business. If I could I would shut them down specifically for this very incident whether I was discriminated or had been a witness. I hope the owner of Dubh Linn reads this. I may be homeless, but I am not idiot. I also have an education, and I previously owned a business myself. If the owner is reading this before you receive anything from my attorney first, I have every intention to make it publicly known on social media and news publications of this discrimination. I also will be following through with my attorney filing a discrimination lawsuit so I receive monetary compensation for the discrimination by your bar. I am not going to be keeping everything I am awarded in court. It will help other individuals who have become like family. Those of us who are homeless for the most part stick together, we help each other, and none of us deserve to be told to leave a public sidewalk because we look and are homeless. I hope your bar is boycotted hopefully forcing you to shut down or the city shuts you down for the act committed by an employee of yours. If the owner wishes to settle this atrocity before I hand it to my attorney please comment on this with a way to contact you. If not, as I said above, I have no issue following through with a discrimination lawsuit.

Dubh Linn was awesome, we went on Thursday night for the amateur comedy night and the atmosphere was great. Free pool & darts were great options. Our fries were very good, crispy and flavorful. Bartender was super nice and friendly, everyone in the staff team just loved to be there and was happy to help some new faces. If I was local I’d be coming here often.

This place had some pretty good food. You grab a menu and order at bar. I had lamb Sheperds pie & a side of cabbage & veggies...delish! My friend had shrimp & fries and said they were good too. Of course the Guinness was great. Atmosphere was older but comfortable. There was a nook area with a fireplace & comfy looking chairs. A charming old red phone booth. The booths for seating were super high, so if your height challenged it may be hard to get into, but there are other seating options. I'd like to stop back at another time & maybe play pool and try more things on the menu.

Nice Irish pub in downtown Duluth. Great place for group celebration. Great beer selections and full bar service. Very accommodating staff who catered to our varied needs, with young family members and an older segment as well as good food selections. Nicely appointed with colorful flags and a clean interior that was very inviting.

Extremely disappointing experience. I went to this bar and felt clearly unwelcome as a person of color. The bartender with dark hair parted to the side treated me and my friends very rudely compared to other guests. It genuinely felt discriminatory — we were questioned and ignored while others were served right away. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable or singled out because of their background. I hope the owners take this seriously and train their staff to treat everyone with the same respect.
Tyler N — Google review
Limited staff with unlimited smiles 😃 what a treasure to have found on a girl's trip. They offer a small eating menu but a mastered menu for certain. A wide selection of drinks to choose from and served with compassion! The Reuben was scrumptious and flavorful with a precise balance of fresh, moist meat and lightly crispy toasted rye bread. The garlic mashed potatoes did not warrant any touches of flavor. The cheesy spinach artichoke burger was bursting with robust flavors igniting a savoring euphoria💞

Surprisingly slow service for how busy they weren't. Very and I mean VERY delicious food, but certainly not for the light of wallet. Very friendly staff from what I could discern in the brief interactions between relatively long gaps. Probably would be very nice for a date night, but not the best choice for the type of evening we were after. Certainly an enjoyable experience, just not what we usually gravitate towards.

Waited too long for drink order, but they were nice. Waited a long time for them to come for our food order, but got our order taken. I took the kids for multiple walks while we waited for the food. Finally, I took one of the kids to our room while my wife waited with the other kid. Then my wife asked where our order was, and they hadn't even started it, so she came back to the room and we packed up and got out of there. We lost OVER AN HOUR and did not get any food! They didn't charge us for the two chocolate milks. We kept hearing other tables make comments of the wait and missing items from their orders. We were so mad. Kids were so hungry. Never again.

Ever seen a Cesar salad made with chopped iceberg lettuce? You shouldn't! But if you do, just know this isn't a proper Cesar and should run. As you can see below in the picture, I found 1 actual piece of green lettuce. The highlight of my meal! Look, if a restaurant can't make a proper Cesar for $12, they probably aren't doing much of anything else right. Be better.

Crooked Pint Ale House is a laid-back local pub chain that offers an extensive menu for lunch and dinner, featuring craft beers, cocktails, burgers, pot pies, and tacos. The weekend brunch is a must-try with generous portions and a lively atmosphere. While the trendy pub setting may not be ideal for families with kids due to its large bar and TV screens, it's perfect for adults looking to enjoy delicious food and drinks.
Had a little of everything for all in our group. I had the beer cheese soup. Delicious. I wished I had ordered myself garlic French fries to go with it. Good thing my daughter shared.

First time and last. I'll start with the appetizer. The chips and queso, chips good. Look homemade, taste fresh. The dip was Luke warm with a clump of stale fried jalapeños. Old... Then our meals, the burger was undercooked. My Flatbread was overcooked with tossed on soggy onion crispers/rings. Then the oversized Pretzel, well it was amazing. The cheese sauce tasted grainy/old just awful. Waitress wasn't in our business every second so I liked that but our drinks were empty for quite some time. Orders did come out quick though. Cook in his avocado pants was cool. 1 of your waitresses had no problem arguing with the bartender about something, wasn't exactly great ambiance. We came in around 3:30 so it wasn't really busy,. So I am going to assume maybe you were under staffed or had a lot of to go orders, since our food wasn't so great. Looks nice inside. However the looks of the place and the pretzel are not enough to have us become repeaters.

My friends and I came here for lunch around 1 PM and ordered the Caprese grilled cheese, the Tot Lucy burger, and the California Lucy. The service and atmosphere were both okay nothing particularly memorable, but nothing bad either. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the food. When the California Lucy arrived, it was just a plain Lucy, missing the toppings that make it the “California” version. When we let the staff know, they brought out a replacement but it was noticeably undercooked. She did not end up eating the uncooked burger patty, she just added the old burger patty to the sandwich with the correct toppings. So overall that made the entire experience disappointing as well as potentially dangerous.

The nachos were just ok. The Sioux Falls location does them much better. My Old Fashioned was ok too. All around pretty whatever. The bourbon molasses wing sauce is my all time favorite by far. I really like the way they do their boneless wings.

Excellent meeting friends for drinks, food, and conversation. Good choice on menu for everyone. They even created a special cheeseburger for one of us. Excellently prepared and delivered hot to the table, even though it was a busy time. Wide selection of beer and some special cocktails. Highlight was our server, Chase, who did not hover, but was right with us to answer questions or make suggestions. We stayed much longer than intended. Can’t wait to return.

Monday after the Superbowl. Parking was tricky, but once inside, we were seated at a spacious booth. Inside felt like a typical Ale House/Bar/Club. Few customers, and even fewer workers. However, our server was polite and responsive. Previously reading about their Juicy Lucy burgers had us each ordering one, along with a very tasty appetizer, their Totchos. Basically, this was a jumbo (quite large, as it served us three) tater tot stuffed w/ Serrano peppers, bacon, green onions, and melted cheddar, pepper jack cheese, and sour cream. It was very tasty, and worth ordering! Our Juicy Lucy's, one Jalapeño, a Beer Cheese, and a Wrangler, also were very good, arriving at our booth shortly after our appetizer was finished. I would challenge the advertised half pound of fries, though. Our respective dishes had maybe a quarter pound of fries, each. We also shared a yummy dessert, the Turtle Brownie. This was a fabulous finish to our first visit. While there appear to be several negative reviews by other customers, we have only positive feedback to offer up. We now are loyal, raving fans! We highly recommend Crooked Pint Ale House and know we will be back.

It had been a while since we had been to Crooked Pint and like the many times before, we were not disappointed. We enjoy sitting at their spacious and comfortable bar. Service and food were excellent, really like there Lucy's and they have a nice selection of refreshments on tap to choose from.

My wife and I stopped in recently. Both of our meals were not good. We ordered nachos as an appetizer and the chicken was very dry, it tasted like it was microwaved. For the entrees, she got fish tacos and I got the Jalapeno Lucy. According to the online menu, it says the cod is beer- battered; however, it tasted like it was frozen out of a bag. The Jalapeño Lucy had very hard fried jalapeños- which tasted like they sat out overnight. Overall, not impressed at all.

Bar
Carmody Irish Pub is a charming brewpub housed in a former 19th-century stable, offering a cozy atmosphere and Irish-style craft beers. With a smaller brewery system on-site, it features four house brews, two seasonal brews, and an array of Irish whiskey. The pub is known for its inviting ambiance and is popular among locals. Additionally, the area around Canal Park hosts several other microbreweries and brewpubs, creating a vibrant beer scene.
Before going in here, realize that this isn't a high end restaurant. It's an old school Irish Pub. Their bartenders are friendly and happy to answer any questions. They have a few home brewed beers that are great to try out. Very cozy place. Fun to go to and have a pint and a bump with some friends. Cheers.
James W — Google review
I was just trying to grab a quick drink when I stumbled upon this spot. I gave their Irish red ale a shot, and honestly, it was a solid 10/10! Plus, there was an awesome band playing that I’d also rate a 10/10.
Pedro O — Google review
Really cool looking place, we were excited to check it out on our one night in Duluth. Upon walking in, the bartender did not acknowledge us, which is fine, but the moment we sat down he immediately asked what we wanted. Not offering a hello, this is what we have, etc. I felt like he didn’t want us there. It’s unfortunate too because the place is very cool looking and they have a lot of great spirits, whisky’s and scotches. Maybe check them out on a weekend, or become a regular (he seemed to favor regulars).

This place was a lifesaver. After 4 hours on the road and another 6 of walking canal park, it was the perfect resting spot that wasn't the hotel bar. Staff was fun and accommodating and their was a weird (good!) mix of fellow customers taking in the small bar vibe.

Enjoying an evening out, had the pulled pork tacos, they were good. Ordererd a manhattan, watched the guy pour old fashion mix in it. When i asked the bartender to fix, he said "thats what you're getting". Asked for water, he said" are you going to stop complaining?" I said yes, if you will give me water... Closed tab and left.

Restaurant
PhởHolic Taste of Vietnam in Duluth is a family-owned restaurant that offers an authentic taste of Vietnamese cuisine. The star of the menu is the aromatic pho, made from a recipe carried back from Vietnam. The long-simmered beef bones and warm spices create a rich and flavorful broth that patrons rave about. In addition to pho, the restaurant also serves crispy banh mi, bun (Vietnamese vermicelli salad), and com tam (broken rice platters).
Cute little place, always busy, the decor is adorable and staff are always friendly and efficient. I have been here multiple times and I'm a huge fan of the Pad Tai. This place is a must. The spring rolls are also where it's at. 👌🏽 10/10 recommend. Only downside is the small parking lot and when it's busy you need to steak out in another business lot and wait for an opening. (Worth it)
Samanthia W — Google review
This was my first visit to Phoholic with my family, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The menu offers a wide variety of options, the ingredients were fresh, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Service was attentive and welcoming, and the flavors were authentic. My personal favorite was the shrimp Pad Thai, especially with their house-made chili sauce, which added the perfect touch. I also love supporting family-owned businesses, and I’m excited to try their beautiful new second location soft opening this week. Duluth is lucky to have such a fantastic Vietnamese dining option. I highly recommend Phoholic and will certainly be returning. Bonus : Some of the servers also look like those handsome K-pop singers. :)

I absolutely love their London Road location!! It is so gorgeous and definitely an upgrade from the Central Entrance! Good for them!!! My server was so sweet and the food was amazing! I ordered a Vietnamese coffee, potstickers, and the special combination Pho! Total came out to $34.12 (without tip) so pricing is fair! I 100% recommend checking them out!!

They had a line when we got there, but we still got a table quite quickly. The food was prompt, the service friendly and helpful. Someone was always going about cleaning and refreshing the table items. The food was 100% amazing!!!!!!! Fresh, flavorful, perfect. They even recommended some places for us for the one day we will be in town. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The entire visit was a complete delight

My first time at the Pho restaurant and it was delicious! I was seated right away and my order came out quickly. I’ve had Pho many times and this was right up there as a top choice. My order came out in a nice big bowl filled with a good portion of pork and shrimp and many egg rolls. If I have one critique it’s that the prices are higher than I’m used to paying and oh that front lot is just silly.
Angela K — Google review
Refreshing but plain spring rolls. Lightly spicy but very nutty sauce. Everything thing was great texture-wise and all full of flavor. A bit of a kick with how spicy the hue style noodle soup was but still tasty. Very good portion sizes.
Daniel B — Google review
There was a 45 minute wait to get in, but some things are worth waiting for. If you love pho, you’ve absolutely got to try this place out. This place sets the bar so high with some of the best broth I’ve ever had. No additives required. Food came out promptly after we were seated. Super friendly waitress gave suggestions & helped make dipping sauce. 10/10 dining experience.

Duluth Cider is a must-visit spot in Duluth, offering an impressive selection of adult beverages including hard cider seltzers and dry ciders available in pints, flights, crowlers, or cans. Their unique flavors like Los Lajas Coffee Cider are highly recommended. The cidery hosts event nights such as taco Tuesdays, wood-fired pizza Wednesdays, and K&B Grilled Cheese Truck on Fridays from 4 to 8 PM.
The ciders were excellent! Each of them had unique flavor and were well crafted ! I highly recommend the coffee flavored one, I know it sounds weird, but it works ! The service was friendly, professional, and efficient! I would gladly go back if I was in the area again. I don't think they serve any food but they were okay with us bringing food from the outside.
Arthur M — Google review
I’m not a huge beer fan so a little disappointed they didn’t have a seltzer option like most breweries do today. They had a coffee infused cider that I ended up trying. It was pretty sweet for my liking. I don’t think cider was meant to be infused with coffee.
Tabitha T — Google review
I love visiting this street in Duluth because of the two cideries and a brewery right in a line. Duluth Cider has some really unique flavors that aren't all fruit-forward. In the fall and winter I love the options with warming spices. They have a super cozy indoor space and some nice spots outside. I was super happy to see Crow & Co. Booksellers there last time I stopped in!
Isabel S — Google review
Great cidery, plenty of options, dry and sweet, for flights and pours - something for every palate! Especially enjoyed the unique coffee cider, Las Lajas.

I LOVE ciders, and this place is heaven! Traveled 4.5 hours to try it out! Totally worth it. I definitely brought a bunch to take home! They have a cider for any taste from sweet, to dry! I was so nervous to try the coffee cider, it was NOTHING like i excepted. It was light, crisp, sweet and fantastic! Literally a coffee cider, amazing! I'll definitely be coming back to restock! 100000000/10!!

Absolutely amazing experience. Plenty of seating, plenty of different styles of cider to choose from, plenty of different flavors to experience. The stand-out was definitely Greenstone (hopped, semi-dry)-- bright, crisp, effervescent spring in a pint. We spent 6 hours here-- probably would have stayed longer, but we had a long drive ahead of us.
Ben A — Google review
Excellent craft ciders, with a wide variety from sweet to dry. Flavored, spiced, and my preference, pure dry cider. The barrel aged in cognac barrels was very interesting. Superior Dry is an everyday sipper. They had 2 hopped ciders, both apple forward without the hops overpowering them. They added something, and paired well with stir fry noodles. You're allowed to bring your own food (I did). Friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Wow this place was wonderful. I was really impressed, the waitress, Terri, was super friendly and the food was so delicious. Real down-home American food joint. I had the hot roast beef sandwich and my wife had the hot turkey sandwich followed by a slice of blueberry pie, homemade for only $2.50! Wow! There's a lot of down home charm in this restaurant if you are in Duluth or Superior you definitely got to check this place out.

Haven't not been here in a long time, so I wanted to try it again. But after last night's to go order, I would not recommend this to anyone. It was awful food. We ate it only because we were hungry and I was already home. It's my fault for not checking the to-go boxes before I left. I had been a line cook and sous chef and various restaurants in this area, and I would have never served the food this cook served. Ordered the chicken tender basket and the fish basket and an order of onion rings, and the only thing that wa decent was the onion rings, but they were not overcooked and were super cold. The tenders were super small and dried out and hard. French Fries were barely cooked soggy. The fish for the fish basket was overcooked and burnt and tasteless. I can not believe that the cook would cook any of this food like they did!

Good homemade tasting food & if you're going to the Lake Superior zoo it's right next to it. Very convenient. Parking is great, which is definitely hard to find depending on where you go in Duluth.

Old school bar and restaurant. Honestly, the food is so reasonably priced there are no complaints. The specials are always good, portions are clean your plate and leave satisfied size. Box mashed potatoes aside, I will continue to enjoy the food here!

I was extremely disappointed. I was looking forward to good prime rib. When we (group of 10) got there, we were told that there are 6 pieces of prime rib left. I was lucky enough to get one. I ordered it medium rare. When it arrived, it was well done, dry, tasteless. I ate 3 (terrible)bites. When I said something, waitress explained that she told us they were down to the last few pieces. I told her that she could have told me there were no medium rare pieces left. I paid for good food, and my dog loved it.

The quiche was amazing! I've only had quiche once before, but this blew me away with how good it was. And the side salad that comes with it has such a good dressing that pairs perfectly with the quiche to balance the meal out. I got the meat quiche which was perfect, my partner got the veggie one, and although still good it wasn't as good as the meat one in my opinion, it may have needed more salt or something. I had a dirty chai here and it was one of the best I've ever had, they've got some really good espresso. Service was by no means bad, it just wasn't the friendliest, great food and drinks though

Great food, very cool and laid back atmosphere. You order, pick a seat and they bring you the food and you bus the dishes. There's so much to look at and explore. The staff are very kind. The drinks are delicious, we ordered mocha and an iced chocolate Chai latte. They are spendy but it's all local and natural ingredients and a small business so it is worth it!

Very good and fast service for a busy Sunday morning. The man who helped us (possibly the owner?) was exceptionally kind and it really brightened our morning 😊 I got the vegan Valhalla and it was very good! My only complaint would be that it was a little cold but I didn't mind. The sauce and tofu were great! I also got a iced latte with raspberry syrup and oat milk that was incredible. The building itself is very charming with a lot of other products you can buy. The sense of community in the space is very nice.

Interesting place for sure. The food and the coffee were delicious. Took a bit for us to get our food but nothing terrible. Atmosphere is a mixed bag. Very interesting decor and what not due to the fact that the place doubles as some sort of school but the seating is tough because people just seem to sit anywhere, like a single taking up a table that could fit 5-6, etc.

Cool little spot to stop and get some really good food while out walking about. You order at the little building on the side, but there is outdoor and indoor seating. I had the chicken mole bowl, chorizo taco and birria taco. Everything was extremely quick to come out and very good. The tacos were the star of the show though. They were just phenomenal. Next time I'm in Duluth I will definitely be coming back for some tacos.

Review from a Mexican women who knows real Mexican flavors. The two white men in the food truck gave me some pause but once I received the food I was sold. I had the birria taco, the cochinita taco, and the beans and rice and I was impressed with the flavor depth of the tacos. I would pass on the beans and rice next time but only because it was undersalted. I added some birria broth and salsa and made it work for me.

This place was super awesome ! Friendly staff and the food was fresh and DELICIOUS. We got 2 birria tacos and a torta and split it between 2 people so our meal was only $24 ! Just spent an evening at this bar and found out they shorted the band that was playing. I have been a patron of this bar for years and they have never seen music this good! If they can't afford to pay a quality bands than maybe they should get rid of the stage and sound system since they clearly are not cut out for live music

Jamaican restaurant
Restaurant
Jamrock Cultural Restaurant is a Jamaican eatery that originated during the pandemic, with chef/owner Tony O'Neil initially selling jerk food from his home before moving to a commercial kitchen due to high demand. Inspired by his Jamaican roots and family's restaurant background, O'Neil offers well-seasoned dishes like jerk chicken wings and curried goat with sautéed cabbage and rice. The restaurant boasts a unique atmosphere with graffiti-style walls, lively music, and friendly staff.
I already know how good the food is but I had to share how gorgeous my food looked. This was my first time sitting down at the new location and they didn’t disappoint. I ordered the steak over Gouda Mac and cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection, the vibe inside was chill,it was very clean and comfortable.Of course I’ll be back.💪🥂

I had the opportunity to visit Jamrock for the first time last night! Myself, my boyfriend, and a friend of ours stopped in at shortly after 8PM, and were happy to hear we were still in time to order takeout. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was immediately very calming and relaxing with beautiful artwork and lovely seating options. I enjoyed the fact that it was somewhat dark inside, rather than sickly bright with tons of lighting - for someone like myself with sensory problems, it was very enjoyable even just while we waited for our food. I ordered the daily special of jerk chicken tacos with corn bowl. It was absolutely incredible!!! From the first bite, I was in love with it. The flavors were phenomenal (the sauce that comes with the tacos is a MUST), the meat was tender and juicy, the shells were still in great shape despite a drive home, and the corn was delicious. My boyfriend had the jerk chicken gouda mac and cheese, and said it was great! There wasn't a noodle left in the bowl by the time he was done. Our friend had the same meal as myself, and he agreed that it was fantastic. Overall, it was phenomenal. I will definitely be enjoying meals from here again. And as somebody with Celiac disease, I can confidently say that I enjoyed my meal with zero negative aftereffects, which is always a great experience. 10/10, Jamrock. Thank you!

Gem of a place! My jerk shrimp and smoked Gouda Mac was absolutely delicious, service was great, menu is super fresh/changes with seasonal ingredients. Feel so lucky to have this spot in Duluth.
Ashley C — Google review
We got jerk chicken, curry chicken, side was mac n cheese, beef patties, and coco bread. The chicken were dry, no flavors. The mac n cheese was disgusting, tasted like sour cream over noodles with burned cheese on the top. The Beef patties are patties from the dollar tree ( i bought some from there, looks, taste, and texture are the same), and the coco bread was chewy like it was heated in the microwave and was from the grocery store and its not even coco bread. Too expensive for what it is. Nothing taste like what it's supposed to. Probably the worse food I've ever had. Sorry, not worth it.
Jamie Y — Google review
My wife and I got the curried goat, oxtails, and a summer rum punch. We ate outside - the weather was perfect, and just loved the food. Seriously tender meat with a delightful slow burn heat level. The drink was fun - licorice and candies for decorations. Chef Tony and his team absolutely know what they are doing. We'll be back! Thank you for the amazing food!
Matthew S — Google review
We’re visiting the area and most of the other restaurants were generic American burgers, steakhouses and pizza. This place looked different so we wanted to try. We arrived right around 6pm on a Friday night. We got a family dinner for $45 that probably could’ve served 5 people. Everything was delicious! The greens (and I’m not a huge “greens” person) were my favorite! The ribs, mac’n’cheese and yams were amazing. Would definitely recommend.
Mallory H — Google review
Just amazing food. Every single bite just has so many flavors - everything we’ve had has been fantastic. The current style of service with just one or two meals each night allows such attention to detail that you won’t find anywhere else. If you’re looking for something unique in the Twin Ports, this is the place!

Unfortunately, I have to be honest. Coming from the south, I'm used to not trusting any Caribbean food restaurants in the North. I was very hopeful. I saw the rating of 4.4 on Google , and it is deceiving. The atmosphere, decor, and service are great. However, I came for grilled wings and a beef patty. Half of the menu was missing. Then we ordered the coconut bread and the Jerk Chicken Gouda Mac and Cheese. That's what I ordered, but I received warmed up ciabatta bread with some sour butter dip and day old food. What I should have recognized was that it did not smell like food was cooking and no customers. Usually, that's the mom and pop type. Oh, I'm about to eat real food vibes. NOPE. The cheese was not cheesing. It was dry, and so was the chicken that had the flavor, but not fresh. My boss ended up eating more than me, and her stomach was hurting but the end of the night. My I knew first bite...THAT AINT IT. I was told by the waiter to vome.back when the owner is available. So sad. I live so far away, and the owner should make sure his food is consistent no matter when it is served.

We order online from doordash. My significant other ordered the fish and fries. The fish she received was burnt to a crisp. 2/7/2025 food was cooked around 11:45am. That food should never have made it to a customer.

The food was to die for and when i wasnt sure what to order for a drink sara asked me what kinds of mixed drinks i like and specialized a drink to my liking and she nailed it! It was the best drink ive had in a bar with a very generous pour so I left feelling full and happy. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. They don't exaggerate when they say best burgers in town. I had the smokehouse burger with chips. So if you want good food good drinks and good vibes stop in to round up.

I've been coming to Duluth for 30+ years and never had a burger this good. Husband had the Blue Cheeseburger and I had a bacon cheeseburger. We eat burgers everywhere and agreed this was one of the best we have had. Doesn't look like much on the outside so do not judge a book by it's cover. Go eat, you won't regret it.

This is the perfect spot for diner style quality food for the price of a local watering hole. The staff is kind and welcoming, without being fake or overbearing. They have everything from steak and eggs for breakfast to fish and chips for dinner. I ordered the house salad and it was huge and freshly chopped to order. I also got the fish and the tarter was perfect. The drinks were not weak, and they made well. When things get back to normal, they have a great kareoke night on the weekend. They also had fx on durring lunch so I could watch a movie while I ate.

Bakery
Duluth's Best Bread has expanded to three locations, offering a delightful selection of baked goods. Whether you're enjoying a morning treat with coffee or stocking up on bread for the week, this bakery has you covered. While they don't have a kitchen, they provide options from Sheltons Pizza and German Pretzels. Additionally, they allow customers to bring in food from other local eateries or arrange for delivery.
I am visiting Duluth for the first time and I am so happy some friends recommended this place! Everything was delicious and the atmosphere was chill and inviting. It was a beautiful day and they had the front area fully open which was wonderful.

Just want to give a huge shout out to Stacy, he was so helpful when we visited! We’re big fans of breakfast food, and had to make a reservation for a tour by 1:00, and our planned stop for breakfast was too busy. I had seen online that Duluth’s Best Bread was known for their croissants, a favorite food of mine, so they were a priority stop anyway. I was worried they were sold out, already bummed I didn’t get my most important meal of the day, so I called them to check. I explained I was a hangry New Jersian who just needed a buttery carb, please tell me yall got some of your famous croissants, and he cracked up. He said not to worry, they were stocked. When we showed up, he treated us to some extras, and we got a good laugh. Now again, as a breakfast snob and specifically a croissant aficionado, I was blown away. How they heck do yall get that much butter in there?? Delicious, flaky, like a hug from the inside. We also grabbed a cinnamon sugar homemade pop tart and that was great too. Had we more time, we probably would have asked for them to be toasted, which I can imagine would only make the 9.9/10 experience a 10/10. But truthfully, Stacy’s kindness and generosity was such a bright spot in a clearly hectic morning, and really kicked off our day in Duluth with joy. An absolute must go if you’re in Duluth!

We ordered two savory pastries on a Saturday morning around 8 am and they were not good. They did not seem fresh at all and we decided to throw them away. We were here 3 years ago and had a wonderful experience. Not sure if it was different staff or an overall decline.
Rebekah J — Google review
There is line usually at the window but it is outside which is nice during these covid times.  Prices would say on par with other bakery's , maybe a smidge higher. Lots of macaroons choices , I bought some bread, croissant cinnamon buns and scones. The croissant was excellent and the bread smells amazing. They had a separate line for pre orders which I will do next time as faster and can just grab and go. Update 5/7/22. Went before they closed on sat and they were out of most things as go early to get the things you want. We got the macrons, pecan caramel roll, cinnamon roll, cranberry wild rice bread. My favorite was the wild rice bread and pecan caramel roll.
James E — Google review
I came here this morning and ordered a danish and a ham and cheese croissant, both of which were cold. I asked the cashier if he could warm it up and he placed the plastic to go container in the microwave…..it was only for a few seconds but our pastries were not hot AND now they were infused with microplastics. In addition, our maple latte did NOT have any maple in it, and wasn’t told to us. We only knew because we overheard the two boys working there that they couldn’t find the maple. They did not inform us at all, and still charged us for the specialty latte. We came to visit from Minneapolis and this was overall a terrible experience. My partner didn’t feel comfortable eating pastries that had been warmed in a plastic container in the MICROWAVE.

Delicious bakery (a tiny hole in the wall) in the heart of Lincoln Park. The bread is baked perfectly and priced right but the prices are a bit high for the pastries and croissants. However once you bite into the divine tasting almond croissant, you forget all about the $4 price tag. Sweet, nutty, buttery, with a crunch--amazing. Several restaurants around town serve their cinnamon rolls and they also have a kiosk in the mall around the holidays.

I couldn't wait until I took the pic! Chocolate Almond Croissant is amazing. Macarons are fresh & so flavorful. Staff are helpful & friendly! First visit & I will be back.

Great location on the edge of Lincoln Park. Park out front, walk up to the window and be prepared to be overwhelmed with wonderful bread smells. This is the Best Bread in Duluth, literally! Many types to choose from, Cranberry Wild Rice is my favorite, my wife loves the sunflower seed mix. Great price, super service and they will slice the bread if you want it. Hmm fresh bread, newly sliced, yup smells don't lie its The Best Bread in Duluth. Available also at St Luke's Cafeteria, Whole Foods Coop, and their Bakery off 27th West. Enjoy, oh did I mention the Pecan Carmel Rolls, croissant of all types and well you will just have to go to find the other goodies!

Historic brewery in Duluth. It is buried inside the old brewery which now hosts several businesses. The tap room is in the old barrel room which is a great environment for having a beer or two. If you have a big group they have some overflow space. On my stop they had 8 of their beers on tap including: an apricot wheat, starfish pale ale, an American lager, oatmeal stout, hazy IPA, sour dragonfruit, another lager and a dunkle that is really quite good. Everything is pretty good but nothing really blew my mind. They do serve food in the barrel room which is great. Service is good and they have a full bar for those less inclined to breweries. Stop and have a good time.

My wife and I went out for a nightcap and stumbled upon the Fitgers Brewhouse. Very cool building and space. When inside, we encountered the barrel room and found a table. We sat patiently for about 15 min while the bartender talked with the 4 other patrons in the bar. We eventually went to the bar directly and got our drinks. Never were we greeted or offered any service. Nice drinks, terrible service.

Nice space to grab a quick drink and lots to do in the building. I personally wished they had more options but did appreciate the variety.
Chloe L — Google review
This place is so inconsiderate of other businesses within the building, they don't deserve a good review no matter what their food tastes like. You are not the only business. Your space is not large enough to have music so loud it is heard and felt two floors away. I don't know how people within the space can hear their own thoughts.
Rebecca A — Google review
We stopped in to pick up pizzas to take back up to our rooms. I had an NA beer, Two Roots. Great! One friend had a gimlet, with thyme. The next night he had a similar gimlet, with basil. We came in on Fri night of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon, last weekend in Jan, 2023. It was busy, but still pleasant. The pizzas were delicious, also-- one sausage, one mushroom and green olive-- hand- tossed crust.

My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner at The Barrel Room earlier this month and we were so happy with the level of service we received from Tom, Marci and their team. Not only were they fully accommodating while initially booking our event, during our event when we needed to provide a few guests additional meal options The Barrel Room team was flexible and allowed us to order directly off the menu. The meal options were affordable, delicious and served on time. I would definitely recommend holding an event at The Barrel Room!

Ice cream shop
Love Creamery in Canal Park is the go-to spot for delicious homemade ice cream in Duluth. They offer a wide range of flavors, including traditional options like dark chocolate and mint chocolate chip, as well as unique creations such as vegan chai and vegan rocky road to cater to dietary requirements. The commitment to using local ingredients and sustainable practices has made Love Creamery a popular choice among locals.
Stumbled upon this adorable new ice cream spot while walking around the neighborhood, and I’m so glad I did! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with big smiles and ice-cold water (a total lifesaver on a hot day). The place feels super clean, fresh, and welcoming — you can tell the team takes pride in their shop. They’ve got plenty of seating, both inside and out, which makes it a perfect little hangout spot. Great for dates, families, or just a solo treat-yourself moment. Now, the important part: the ice cream. Absolutely delicious — super creamy, not overly sweet, and you can taste the quality in every bite. We went with the coffee bean, vanilla and salted caramel — they were hits. Also… be warned (in a good way) — the portion sizes are HUGE. I couldn’t finish mine, and that never happens. Extra points for the vibe — music playing softly, cute decor, and just a warm, friendly atmosphere. Feels like the kind of place that will become a regular neighborhood favorite real soon. Highly recommend swinging by if you’re nearby!

Love Creamery is a must-visit for ice cream lovers. They have an incredible variety of unique flavors, the Goat Cheese Honeycomb is a standout, perfectly creamy with sweet crunch, and the Salted Chocolate Brownie is just as amazing. They also offer plenty of vegan ice cream options with vegan toppings, plus homemade waffle cones and even ice cream flights, which are a fun way to sample it all. The shop itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t be nicer. A Duluth gem that combines creativity, quality, and great service.

We waited in line for a while, but once we reached the counter, it was nice to see that they offered samples of their flavors. They don't have the usual options like plain strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla, but the flavors they do have are really tasty. I ordered two scoops of the apple crisp, and I have to admit we couldn't resist and started eating before snapping a picture. It was delicious, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in town. The customer service was great too. There was a gal working there in a red shirt who wasn't even the one helping us, yet she still took the time to talk and ask where we were visiting from. I also really liked the décor; it added to the overall experience.

We visited Love Creamery during a recent trip to Duluth and were not disappointed! Unique flavors, delicious ice cream, and friendly staff. We have an adventurous eater and a pickier eater, and everyone was able to find something they liked. The shop was very busy even on a cool, brisk afternoon, but the line moved quickly. Wish we lived closer so we could try more of their interesting flavor offerings! We will definitely be back when we are in Duluth again!

So insanely good - highly recommend getting a flight. Easy to share between two or three people. We got a flight with: * Salted Caramel (gf) and fall 2025 seasonal flavors: * London Fog (gf) * Chokeberry Chip (gf) * Cinnamon Snickerdoodle (gf) * Apple Crisp (gf) * Goatcheese Honeycomb (gf) Our favorite was the goat cheese honeycomb hands down (sweet but a lil savory) So insanely tasty! Second fav was London Fog which tasted JUST LIKE the drink! All the other flavors were good too, just hqrd to compete with how exceptional those two were. Staff were efficient and professional - line moves quicker than you’d think!
Codie B — Google review
Flavors and textures. Can't complain. Salted caramel and dark chocolate would be my top 2 out of the 6 I had. Ordering the flight, i expected a sampler portion. And not a feast 😅. Also when they say you can sample to pick your flavors. They are not kidding. They will let you try them all if you must. (Be warned)🤣

Friday nights are trash. Specifically because they are understaffed. I walked in, sitting in plain view of the bartender with wallet and card out ready to order. Took me 20 minutes to get my drink because the bartender took 5 people who walked up to the bar, who she knew them by name, before asking me. How has a single pint become $7?? Yes, a pint that is on tap cost $7 dollars here. You best come with a thick wallet if you'd like to spend a night here for your drinking fun

Bakery
Coffee shop
Duluth's Best Bread is a local gem and a haven for bread enthusiasts. The almond croissant and flax bread are particularly beloved, with the almond croissant being a popular choice that often gets devoured on the way home due to its irresistible combination of crunch and creamy filling. The bakery offers a rotating daily menu featuring sandwiches, sweets, and other specials made with their delectable croissants. Customers can enjoy curbside pickup from their makeshift drive-through window during the week.
We stopped here for a coffee and pastry before a day of exploring the city. My oat milk cappuccino was good and so was my chocolate croissant. My dad loved his caramel roll and we got a couple loaves of bread to bring home. They don't have the best tea selections, but they do have local kombucha.
Lindsey H — Google review
We stopped in there during Duluth days to grab our son a pop tart. We got the flavor of the day and one for each of us. We let the employee know that we were taking it home for breakfast with our son and she gave us a nice to go container instead of a bag, to keep them fresh. She was very nice!! I forgot her name. The next morning we warmed up and ate our pop tarts and while they were very good, I wasn't super impressed. There was very little filling and it mostly tasted like a buttery flaky crust with lines of sweet frosting. I didn't feel the frosting and filling complimented each other at all. I appreciate the work that goes into these poptarts and they taste good. I just don't think I would pay $5.50 for one again.

Omigosh! The sourdough bread is so good. Has that tangy sourdough flavor you love! I bought 4 different flavored loaves to freeze and use. We also bought coffee and a scone. It was huge-one was plenty for two.
Sherri D — Google review
The almond croissant was good with almond filling inside. The pretzel and cheese was tasty. The spiced pear macaroon was the best thing we had. It was totally scrumptious!!! We had to pay to park on the street just to run in.

Stopped here while in Duluth! When my carb loving self saw Duluth’s Best Bread I came running! And so glad I did, the bakery’s items just melted in my mouth. Employee and I exchanged miscommunication on my order and when I went right back in they gave me my correct items at not cost. Definitely the type of atmosphere you want to feel when visiting a location. Beautiful people in a beautiful place 💗

I am a pastry and bread fanatic, and this place did not disappoint! They had everything from loaves of bread to muffins to pretzels to cookies. I was so impressed with the vast array of options they had. I loved that they served coffee as well. Want a flaky pastry and a local coffee? This is the place to go! The staff member helping us was chatty and made us feel welcomed right away.

Visiting from South Dakota - went on a Saturday morning after enjoying hilarious social media posts for years! The staff was Super friendly and fast! There was a constant flow of customers but No wait! The atmosphere was so cozy and cool in the old downtown building and the food was delicious! We had the pecan caramel rolls and Duluth latte, and bought additional treats and Rosemary sour dough bread to go. I can't wait to visit again!!
Mary M — Google review
Pastries were ok. I felt like they could have baked a little longer or something. The chocolate croissants felt dense on the bottom and very greasy from the butter. Either the lamination went wrong or in the bake and the layers seemed off. Most of it was just all right. I wasn’t blown away. But love that they started small and have multiple locations.

Nestled in the heart of the community, Roscoe's Pioneer Bar is a beloved dive that has been serving up good times since 2010. As you step inside, you'll find a lively atmosphere with a sporty vibe and friendly locals who make everyone feel at home. The bar features impressive league-quality dart boards that attract enthusiasts eager to showcase their skills. Known for its live music events throughout the year, this spot truly comes alive on weekends.
This is literally the BEST bar we have ever found in the Duluth area! Not only is the staff friendly and fun but the local patrons are the best people you will ever meet. We showed up for a girls' weekend, got greeted by the friendliest dog, and were shown the best hospitality that we have experienced in a long time! The drinks are cheap and the pizzas are perfect. We can't wait to come back!!

Stopped in to get a beer and a pizza in the afternoon. 4 people in the place. Got a beer, ordered pizza and waited. After a long wait still had no pizza. Bartender was talking to couple at other end. Could smell something burning. Bartender pulled a black pizza out of the oven and said "oh I got busy talking." Got my money back and left. Not the place if you want food on the 1st try.

Cute bar in downtown Duluth MN. I'd definitely come back to this place.

Went there for my birthday. Had 7 friends with me. My Native American friends felt uncomfortable as we were starred at while entering the Establishment and watched while we were there. I encouraged my friends to let those feelings go and let's just enjoy ourselves. Had 2 rounds and then left. Don't think I'd return.

The Boreal House is a modern neighborhood pub with a great selection of craft beers and handcrafted cocktails. It's a woman-owned spot that offers an approachable atmosphere, featuring cool indoor space and a nice patio area for outdoor seating during the summer. The bar is known for its variety of handcrafted cocktails like the Gin Spritzer and the House Old Fashioned, as well as many local and regional beers on tap.
Fantastic find. Awesome atmosphere, great drinks, and wonderful selection of craft beer. Only negative is that the vines on the outside have grown over the sign above the door and my photo wasn't nearly as Instagram-worthy 😉 Will absolutely be adding this to our list of Must Stop places in Duluth.

Great location and pretty good drinks. The bar tender was super friendly and seemed to know every single person! Lots of regulars here, which is a testament to the service and atmosphere.

The best place a stranger passing through for a motorcycle trip up the North Shore could have stumbled on for some fantastic craft beer and friendly people. Great atmosphere, younger crowd of UMD and young professionals, and super nice bartender. Thanks Boreal House!

Great place!! Tried this bar out because they were on an online list of top craft cocktail bars. Not the easiest to find for an out of towner, but boy were we glad we did! GREAT craft cocktails and brews on tap, and some good pub pretzels and pizza. Service from bartender was phenomenal- she was awesome. Cute place and I’ll def go back on my next trip to Duluth!

This is definitely a hidden gem. Because it is in a less nice area I never would have gone in without a recommendation. Super cute! Very cool decorations, drink options, and food options. Looks like outdoor seating for summer too with garage door style window. It is small which is nice if you don't like a loud bar but also limited on seating. 10/10 would return.

Live music venue
Nestled in the heart of West Duluth, the historic Kom-On-Inn stands as a testament to the area's rich past, adorned with period murals that celebrate long-gone factories. This beloved local bar is not just about its intriguing decor; it’s also a vibrant hub for live music and community gatherings. With an inviting atmosphere filled with natural light and friendly faces, it's perfect for enjoying drinks while catching up with friends or cheering on your favorite sports team.
Three different bands played there for the homegrown festival, then a dance DJ came and rocked the house for the rest of the night. Excellent sound system sound system, friendly service.

Truly enjoyed the ambiance of this vintage bar. Bartender enlightened us on the history of the bar and the neighborhood. We did not eat, so I didn't rate food.

Nice bar Good service Pretty quiet on a Friday night Reasonable prices
Bob L — Google review
I was charged five times for the 3 beers I had. The bartender charged my credit card three times and said the card didn't go thru in any one of those tries and then I gave her my debit card and she said it didn't go thru in the first try but it went thru in the second try. It turns out that I was charged five times for the 3 beers I had on December 15, 2023.

I’m not sure what her name is but the shorter blonde lady was very sweet. She let me stay until my bus came so I didn’t have to sit in the dark. Very sweet and will be coming back in the future.

Very friendly neighborhood bar. Great place to watch a Vikings game, or any game for that matter. Lots of regulars so it's always easy to have a conversation with somebody. Friendly service, good prices.

I'm shocked. Honestly. From the outside it looks like the darkest dingiest bar, and then you go inside and it's well lit, lots of natural light, lots of friendly folks and well priced drinks! DON'T go here expecting a fabulous experience, it's a bars bar. You go there for drinks and a good time with friends

Deli
Palestinian restaurant
Falastin offers a phenomenal dining experience with its Falastin Platter, which is enough to feed two people and features perfectly flavored and crunchy vegetables, delicious falafel, and the best baklava. The atmosphere is welcoming, making it a great place to become a regular. Customers can also enjoy the best hummus in town and take advantage of the small but mighty cold case deli selection.
Had a delightful time eating the flavorful Palestinian food at Falastin. I got the platter with falafel, hummus, and pickled veggies. Really impressed by the crispness of the pickled veggies and the crunch of the falafel. Definitely will be returning to support this quality food and cause. 10/10 would recommend!
Joseph K — Google review
My friend and I stopped in here today as we had our eye on this place since they opened. We were excited to see a little diversity added to the food scene up here since it usually requires a trip down to the cities to experience more ethnic foods. The restaurant was decorated modestly and had a pleasant atmosphere. We both ordered the Falastin Platter and tried a piece of their Baklawa. The platter is a great way to try a bunch of different things and enjoy a healthy meal too! The falafel had a nice kick to it and paired well with the humus and other pickled veggies. I have seen some folks say the falafel is spicy, but I am not a huge spice person and found it to be fairly tolerable. The housemade pita was also excellent. As for the baklawa, we have both had a lot of baklava in our lifetime but this version was definitely something new to us. The filling had a more earthy taste but it paired well with the sugary syrup that lightly coated the phyllo. I would say it had a pretty good balance in terms of sweetness and flavor plus it was still a little bit warm from being baked that morning. The prices were a tad high but overall we were fairly pleased with the meal. They have started to add some meat dishes to the weekday menu which is a plus as this was previously limited to the weekend. We figured as they continue to grow, they will probably experiment more with new offerings and expand the menu a bit too! Their hours of operation are also quite slim so I would say get here early if you would like to dine in or take it to go.

I’ve been thinking about this food every day since I had it!! It’s that good! The people working the counter were so friendly and patient, and really seemed to enjoy being there. I also cannot recommend the pistachio cupcakes enough!!
Trinity E — Google review
Falastin has such an inviting atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly. Be prepared for a wait to order, but the falafel sandwich is well worth it! If you want to order the extra pita go early; they gave me one of the last ones at 12:15 pm. *Edited to add, this pita is one of the best I’ve ever eaten!
Sara D — Google review
It was incredibly busy today but staff did a fantastic job at keeping the line moving. They happening to be offering samples of the bi Jibna Manoushe, which made my husband's choice for him! No one in line seemed grumpy about the wait and after trying the food I feel like I can see why. The food is worth the wait. I came in knowing I wanted to try the falafel sandwich and it was even better than I have words for. I also was excited about the drink choices and really enjoy the sumac lemonade.
Brianna B — Google review
The atmosphere at Falastin is just right - I went opening day and it was heartwarming to see customers connecting with staff. Hummus is the best in town. It’s take-out but there are also a few tables inside and out plus a counter for seating. They also have coffee, cappuccino, lattes and americanos, and packaged snacks and cooking ingredients like Holy Land Grocery EVOO.
Maddi F — Google review
First time in. Great service and kind staff. Got the large platter for carry out. Bit of a long wait considering majority of platter involves uncooked items. Pita bread was cold as if it had been in fridge which was disappointing - still tasty though. Good portion size - large platter easily feeds two people for lunch. I’ve never had falafel that was so spicy. I didn’t mind it (I like spicy food) but it was spicy, even for me, and way too spicy for my children to eat.
Helen C — Google review
Wonderful food! Def the best Middle Eastern food I have EVER had. Softest, tastiest pita and perfect crisp falafel, lovely veggies and yummy sauce. The watermelon, feta & mint salad was out of this world. However, the bavlawa was the STAR!! If you've ever had packaged baklava and wondered what the fuss was about, you must try the real thing. It is a taste experience!! <3 (Bavlawa and baklava are very similar, but bavlawa has less layers and more nuts.) Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

Camp Creemee is a delightful soft-serve ice cream spot located within Wild State Cider in Lincoln Park, offering Vermont-style treats sweetened with maple syrup or infused with fresh strawberries. The bright and open taproom provides the perfect setting to enjoy towers of luscious ice cream served in freshly made waffle cones. Visitors can pair their creamy delights with the raspberry hibiscus cider for a refreshing combination.
As an ice cream lover, I can say that the salted maple syrup ice cream was absolutely delicious.
Sara A — Google review
I looooove ice cream, and the salted maple here was somewhat lacking in flavor (I make my own maple syrup and my own ice cream). However, the cider I got was great and the atmosphere was good for everyone.
Brent M — Google review
Wonderful delicious thick ice cream. I got a maple and gingerbread swirl in a waffle cone for a special occasion. Super sweet lots of sugar would recommend if you’re ready for it.
Lauren L — Google review
Extremely high quality and delicious ice cream. I knocked a star off because the sizing is inconsistent and I never know how much ice cream I’m ordering. Sometimes it’s huge, other times it’s tiny and you never know what you’re going to get! Best flavors are the classic maple and chocolate (when they have it...there’s only 2 flavors at a time!).
Caitlin Z — Google review
One of my favorite treats in Minnesota. Located in a cool area in Duluth in a cider company. The flavors are excellent, a delicious vanilla soft serve with creamy texture and the right amount of sweet. I live in the cities and my husband and I discuss Camp Creemee legit every other month....they made an impact. Please franchise in Minneapolis. I need it.

I like to give good reviews, however I can't for this place. The ice cream was delicious, however the serices was ridiculous. What happened to service these days? It's interesting how when you pay with a credit card you are asked to tip ( for good or great service) before service is even delivered. I wish I didn't tip as much because service was horrible.

A great place to have some Cider, and was surprised they also had Soft Serve ice cream. The ice cream flavor selection was limited but tasted great. A great place to stop for any occasion. Lots of seating indoor and out. Great service. I would definitely come back.

From delectable pancakes to hearty omelets and juicy burgers, this hidden gem offers an all-day breakfast menu with $9 and $10 specials, making it a favorite among locals and savvy tourists alike.
Uncle Loui’s has been on our “food list” for a couple of years now as we’re from the Twin Cities and was excited to finally cross it off the list. Loved this little spot - seat yourself as soon as you walk in, and there was a convenient 2-person booth at the front. Got served immediately with drinks, and food was incredibly fast and cooked to perfection. Great hearty breakfast - exactly what we wanted on our drive. Staff was so nice and efficient! Would come again 🤩

Ate here twice while vacationing in Duluth. I was very pleased with both of my meals. The biscuits and gravy I had the first day were amazing. Then I just had to come back to try the French toast. It did not disappoint! I got the stuffed French toast with strawberries, and it was amazing! I was also very impressed with the service. They were busy, yet I still got waited on and got my food rather quickly. If you’re in the Duluth area, I would highly recommend!
Tanner M — Google review
When my husband and I travel we always like to find little mom and pop shops and restaurants to go to. We were looking for somewhere to go for a lunch/brunch and this is where we ended up picking. It's a little confusing when you walk in and are told to seat yourself and don't understand that there is additional seating in the back past where the wait staff filled drinks and do the dishes. When we first walked in we were not greeted by anybody and we had two or three staff that walked by us when we were sitting at the table before anybody brought anything or explained to us how the ordering would work. We weren't sure because there was no menus anywhere and nobody was coming to our table. We ended up ordering the chicken fried steak which was very good and the hash browns and the eggs were all cooked perfectly. We didn't care for the pancake. There was something that was added to it and we couldn't figure out what it was exactly and we were thinking maybe cinnamon but the texture of the pancake was also very off-putting. If we're in Duluth, we would give it a try again to try something different on the menu. I would just maybe recommend explaining to people how it works with your seating and make sure that people are being greeted by staff. There was staff that was sitting down at tables talking to people that were in there and goofing around and I feel like if they maybe put a little more work into waiting on tables of their customers instead of casino with the people that they know people were probably feel more welcome.
Jami T — Google review
Great breakfast and service. The place is tiny but they got us in and served efficiently. The homemade cinnamon on the French toast was yum! Good biscuits and gravy and breakfast potatoes. My hubby enjoyed the wide variety of hot sauce on the table. We’ll be back in the future.

Just a little spot in downtown Deluth Minnesota..... WOW! Not much of an outside, but don't let that fool ya. Fantastic pancakes and French toast. It's a very charming place that basically locals go. If you're in the area of Deluth, you have to stop here for breakfast.

Breakfast and lunch served all day. We opted for breakfast. Portions are large and shareable. Ordered French toast which tasted like a bread shaped oversized pancake which wasn’t what I was expecting or liked. The cinnamon and berry syrups were good. The diner is decorated with interesting local sports memorabilia and is a favorite spot for locals.
Suzanne D — Google review
Great breakfast at Uncle Louie's. The coffee was hot and delicious, and breakfast was served fast. I ordered 2 eggs scrambled with bacon, potatoes, and a slice of French toast. Hubby ordered 3 eggs overeasy, a sausage patty, hashbrowns, and a slice of French toast. I put the homemade cinnamon syrup on my toast, and hubby did the blueberry. Everything was cooked to our liking and really liked the French Toast.
Teresa P — Google review
Fast paced diner. Good food. Quick service. It's a little chaotic since it's a small space and is so popular. Not somewhere I'd try to come with a large party. They'll put extra chairs on the ends of tables, making it even more cramped in there. Really good if you're looking for this type of seat yourself diner atmosphere.
