Distillery
Vikre Distillery, located in Canal Park, is a craft distillery that offers tours, tastings, and seasonal cocktails featuring their house-made gin, aquavit, and vodka. The distillery prides itself on using the clean water of Lake Superior and local organic grains to create their spirits. With a true north vibe both inside and outside the establishment, visitors can enjoy Nordic-inspired drinks such as Boreal Gin, vodka, whiskey, aquavit along with other beverages available for purchase.
Expresso Martini was excellent. Dirty Martini was on point. Didn’t even realize it was happy hour. (Both apply) Under their signature drinks Clique Bait was tasty with kick.

Such a cute space with the friendliest service ever! You know you've found a good bar when they have comfy, inviting chairs and well made drinks. Thank you to all the staff who walked around our dog to serve drinks 🤣 lol. She loved laying on the floor next to the bar and getting pets (even though she is side-eying me in the photo). My only recommendation is to make the menu a little more upscale looking instead of beach bar. I think it would fit the vibe inside more.

My wife and I were exploring Duluth and found this Gem! I got a flight, and my wife got a cocktail! Here is how it went... The flight... The Ovrevann Aquavit- Which was smooth and very aromatic The Voyageur Aquavit- Tasted very much like your normal spiced whiskey with a different kick Hay and Sunshine- Warm and smooth, I really enjoyed it! Temperance River Rye Whiskey- Smooth with a nice spice, hard to describe taste, bitter but in a good way! My wife got the "Airplane Mode" - a very tasty, spicy banana, vanilla, sweet cocktail that went over very well! I also wanted to shout out the service, friendly, easy to talk to staff, and the place just felt clean, light, and cozy! Thanks for a great experience!
David W — Google review
My family loves to visit Vikre every time we are in Duluth! We love the large drink menu using our favorite base spirits! We always get the snack box too - Perfect pairing! Vikre is our favorite gin and our “house gin” at our home bar.
Ryan C — Google review
We have been to several distilleries but never a gin and vodka one. This was an interesting place. We started with sharing 4 tasting samples and liked the strawberry rhubarb gin the best. We also tried two of their specialty drinks, the lavender lemon drop martini and the raspberry whiskey smash. Both were really tasty. Finally, we ordered the Northen waters smokehaus epic snack box. It came with smoked salmon and trout, nordic chips, cheddar cheese chunks, a cheese spread, almonds, olives, pickles, and peppers. It was ok but not worththe moneywe spent on it. Our server was not very attentive, and we had to keep asking others to help us as our table was not in the main room but off to the side with no one else around. We did leave with a bottle of the strawberry rhubarb gin.
Teresa P — Google review
Spending a mini-moon here in Duluth and stumbled upon Vikre. It is definitely a must stop if you're looking for a great cocktail and vibe. The snack box was delicious. The Lavender Lemon Drop Martini and Strawberry Rhubarb Gimlet were delicious. Atmosphere is relaxing and service was great. Our Server Raina was the absolute best!
Richard H — Google review
Fantastic distillery with a wide array of options and a fun atmosphere. Lots of great cocktails to choose from, as well as many flexible options for tasting flights - even give you some lime and tonic and soda water in case you want to turn your gin tasters into G & Ts! Fun to try their assortment of gins and aquavits, especially enjoyed their three herbal liquors - smoother takes on Campari, Chartreuse, and Aperol. Update - after only doing a liquor flight during our first visit, had to go back and try some cocktails! Very unique and well-crafted, especially the root beer foam in the Tragedy of Prohibition and the fusion of pineapple, coffee, hazelnut, and lime in the Tropical Goth. Fantastic notes of raspberry in the Last Word as well! Also went for the Frenchie flight - especially liked the blackberry in the Briar and the house apertivo in the Velo.
Roger H — Google review
This is a beautiful stop in Duluth. The decor is classy and relaxing. They have a creative and diverse drink menu, including a nice selection of NA drinks. All their food options are snack sized, but enough for sharing between two people. Their vegan snack box is amazing! The staff was fun and knowledgeable. Lastly, the quality of the products were top shelf and worth the price. Pictured is the vegan snack box, whiskey flight and seltzer flight. I would have taken all their liquor selections home with me if I could, but I could only pick two. The Frenchie seltzer and the Aquavit were my choices, and they did not disappoint.

Bent Paddle Brewing Co. in Duluth, Minnesota is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts. The brewery offers a diverse range of craft beers, including pilsners, porters, sours, stouts, and unique options like cold press black coffee ale and THC-infused seltzers. The vibrant atmosphere features a cozy indoor space with a big bar, fireplace, and stage as well as a lovely dog-friendly patio for enjoying live music and local vendors.
We drove up from Florida to Duluth and this was our first stop. Amazing beer, great atmosphere, wonderful people! We met brewers and employees, hung out talking beer .... and tasting beer. Since we had one night in town, we had to try other breweries while up north. Well, Bent Paddle had The Best beer in town! Highly recommend this brewery .... stay, no need to explore. Cheers!
Shady P — Google review
One of the good breweries in Duluth. Cozy place in one corner (with a fireplace), outdoor sitting by the patio or at the yard, a live performance stage at the other corner. This place has everything to offer. The beer selection is extensive but I like their unique selection like Oreo stout. Good selection of beer, good choices of food (soup salad and sandwiches). Though price is on the high side, the sandwich portion is gigantic. Almost guarantee taking some left over home. Their skinny French fries is pretty cool. Nice view of the lake as well, top spot by the canal street.
Peter P — Google review
I went here in a Tuesday night in mid June. It was trivia night so it was very busy. I didn’t get my usual brewery. Tap room experience. Definitely didn’t have time to talk to the bartender and get recommendations on beer. I did a flight. The beer was decent. Their beer is fairly well distributed so I’ve had a lot of it before. I sat out on the patio, it’s a great building. Street parking, I’m not sure if there was a private parking lot. I was lucky enough to park right out front. They don’t serve any food, but they partner with several local eateries, and you can get the food delivered there, or you can carry in your own. Merchandise, stickers, I don’t recall they sold beer to go from that location.
T-roy S — Google review
Great tasty locally brewed selections. The American lager was light and crisp. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Reggae music featured when we were there. Had food delivered and enjoyed the music, beer and atmosphere.
Suzanne D — Google review
First time in the tap house. Wide variety of drinks. Beer, seltzer, THC drinks. Atmosphere is welcoming. There is not in house food but they have QR code to get local eats.
Andrew N — Google review
We visited on Saturday afternoon. They were busy but we were able to find seats at the bar. The service was good and we ordered flights of beer. I enjoyed the Retro Haze, Bent Hop, Black Ale and Vanilla Bourbon Black Ale. The food truck outside (Bowlz N’ Thangz) was fantastic.

We come here every time we visit Duluth and love it so much. This is what a brewery should be. Dog friendly, cozy, great patio, great beer, and community oriented.
Rebekah J — Google review
Bent Paddle is the best brewery in Duluth. The beer selection is always fresh with new beers and favorites. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy. We go here every time we are in Duluth as it never disappoints. Great for going alone, with your family, or a group.

The Rathskeller is a cozy and romantic basement bar located in the historic Old City Hall building. This speakeasy-style cocktail lounge offers an intimate setting with dim lighting, exposed brick walls, and comfortable seating. It features a wide selection of varietals including wine, beer, craft cocktails, and fine whiskey. The menu includes expertly crafted drinks and small plates for late-night cravings.
That is really the great bar! If you love cocktails, this is where you should be! Classics are perfect, but if you want some experiments, ask bartender for that, just explain him direction. All team who work here is really nice! Wish to.come back once.

Great vibes, history and live 1930’s jazz music with no cover. A true speakeasy atmosphere. The drinks and service are top notch. No food available but you can bring your own food in. Bar service only the night we were there but signs said, “Have a seat and someone will be with you” so that was confusing.
Suzanne D — Google review
Tried this on a Thursday night. What a fun experience! They had a jazz group playing and with the lighting and the ambiance I felt like I should have a flapper dress on. The beers were nice (the hotel above gave us a BOGO). The story of the place really sells it. A really cool space and a fun atmosphere!
Jennifer L — Google review
My husband and I had such a great time at The Rathskeller! The vibe is so unique and inviting, with amazing live music that set the perfect mood for the night. We ordered espresso martinis, and it was absolutely delicious—probably one of the best we’ve had! The whole experience felt special, from the atmosphere to the drinks. We’ll definitely be coming back!!
Mercedes B — Google review
We had a wonderful time celebrating my friends bachelorette party here! The vibes are amazing and the drinks are good aswell! My personal favorite was the “not a bees knee” which was N/A but you can add liquor if desired! The drinks are definitely on the high side but you are paying for the experience too! We went on a Friday night and there was live music, which he did a fantastic job and even sang my friend a love song in honor of her upcoming wedding! Things were fairly slow until about 8-8:30 when more people showed up. I will definitely come back here in the future!
Anna B — Google review
This spot if perfect for a date night. We enjoyed stopping by for a drink and even learning a little history of the building from our server. Service was exceptional and the vibes were even better. Thank you!
Ashley S — Google review
Great ambience, and a fun place to check out. Good and plentiful seating options and there are always areas you could talk in even with live music. I tried three drinks. Two were fine, and one was great. Live jazz was good with original songs and covers, but do not believe their own website which claims silent movies will play on the big screen on Tuesdays . There are no silent movies and no screens of any size. The bar staff were confused when I asked about silent movies.

Cool space! But our server rarely checked in with us so we had to order by the bar & close out there even though it wasn’t busy.

Canal Park Brewing Company is an industrial-chic microbrewery located in Duluth, Minnesota. This family-owned establishment takes pride in its artisanal beers and locally-sourced pub food. The brewery offers a diverse selection of craft beers, including seasonal brews like Pumpkin Lager in the Fall. With a strong connection to Minnesota's outdoor culture, the brewery's outdoor seating provides a perfect setting to enjoy their drinks on warm summer days.
I’m an out of town girl, Kansas to be specific and I was up north visiting the lake when I decided to get something to eat before I traveled to Minneapolis. This place has got to be one of the best breweries I’ve ever been to. Sophia was our server and she was absolutely phenomenal, she was on top of everything and just so sweet. Took the time to chat and whatnot but also was considerate about everything. Overall this might be one of the best experiences in a restaurant that I’ve ever had and will certainly be back again! Not to mention there’s Lake Superior right behind the restaurant so we were able to get some good photos before we got settled down to eat! Thanks CPB!
Samantha M — Google review
4.5 only because the restaurant was freezing. This was our first time to visit Canal Park Brewing Co. I would choose this over Grandma's Saloon any day. The FISH AND CHIPS was the perfect recommendation from our server Natalie. Fish fresh from Superior, battered and fried perfectly! Crispy outside and juicy inside. All the sauces are fresh too and tasty. The spicy chicken wrap was also delicious and a perfect blend of flavors. The beer was good and cold too. What a unique place. We'll be back for sure!
Amanda K — Google review
Nice little brewery right on the lake. I had great, quick service. I had the bowl of chili as it was one of those windy beginning of fall cool days it it hit the spot perfectly. Was nice and chunky and had just a touch of heat. Then I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and it had a perfect amount of heat for a chilly day. To drink I had a strawberry mango lemonade Arnold Palmer. It was perfect.
Kyle B — Google review
Our visit to Canal Park Brewing Company was quite enjoyable. While the indoor setting was what you’d expect from a typical brewery, the outdoor area made great use of its lakeside location. The service was attentive, and our food arrived quickly. We tried the Mac and Cheese with beef brisket and the Reuben with potato soup on the side; both dishes were delicious. What really made the dining experience was the Swedish Cream dessert, which was outstanding. We would gladly return for another meal.
Curt O — Google review
Canal Park Brewing Company has a really great atmosphere with a fun vibe right on the lake. It’s a nice place to grab a drink and enjoy the view. That said, the food doesn’t live up to the price point. A $20 hamburger just wasn’t worth it, and overall the value didn’t match the experience. Worth visiting for the atmosphere, but not for the food prices.
Stephen C — Google review
The few times we’ve been in Duluth, we always stopped here because of the food and proximity to Canal Park. I decided to take my visiting family here, so they can enjoy the view and food as well. This visit, we got the Nashville chicken sandwich and bulgogi bowl. My family had fish and chips, burger, and mac and cheese. My brother and dad got pints as well (I forgot what it was!) Everything was delicious! We did not wait long for our food. Also, our server was so amazing and nice. I think her name is Christine? I am so sorry I forgot! She always checked in on us and made sure we got everything. We will definitely go back. Highly recommend!
Mary W — Google review
Great place for lunch in the Canal area close to the scenic walkway on Lake Superior. The outdoor patio was in a fantastic location and the beer and food was great. The Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, buffalo Mac and cheese were fantastic. The beer cheese soup and dry run chicken wings were great appetizers.
RM R — Google review
Ty was our server and he was great. Super engaged and responsive when either my wife or I had any questions on there beer. We are from the PNW and love our beers. Food was absolutely amazing. We had just gotten back from a lovely kayak trip out to the Apostles Islands and were certainly ready to eat. Between our son and the two of us we had a variety of options and we all were very pleased. Highly remind!

Had the rice ‘burger’. Was soooo tasty. Ended up mixing the cherry with about 1/4 sour. Great balance. Helper sever, nice environment and outdoor seating if you chose that Highly recommend

The wild rice burger is a perfectly unique dish for such an iconic building. I highly recommend allowing some time to explore the rest of the complex before/after your meal.

The only thing bad was that the Elote wasn’t served in a bathtub, and I couldn’t eat it fast enough so I burned my mouth. Highly recommend! Elote, Wild Rice burger!
Vanessa J — Google review
We stopped into the Brewhouse on a Friday afternoon for lunch and were seated and served right away. We ordered the Brewhouse Burger and the Fish and Chips — both were absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out quickly and hot. The cozy, laid-back atmosphere felt perfectly in tune with the Duluth vibe. Great experience all around — we’ll definitely be back!

Stopped in the try a beer as recommended by our daughter. The Big Boat Oatmeal Stout was excellent. The artichoke dip was spicy but just how I like it. Wife enjoyed her root beer and took a couple crowlers home to enjoy later. Staff was helpful and extremely pleasant. Definitely will stop again on our next trip to Duluth.
Les D — Google review
I cannot stress enough how terrible the service is here. And the sub-par food was cold. Despite the fact that it was after dinnertime on a Saturday night and there were tons of staff everywhere. Our Server was very rude and everyone working was unprofessional. One app and three burgers with sodas took 1.5 hours. This place doesn't even have their own restrooms. 0/10 do not recommend and will not return.

Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar is a casual dining spot in Canal Park, located in the DeWitt-Seitz Marketplace. It offers inventive New American cuisine and regional cocktails in a relaxed setting with outdoor seating. The menu features shareable plates like Beef Tartare, Fresh Mussels, and Charred Shishitos, as well as entrees such as Lamb Tikka Masala, Brick Quail, Salmon, Bulgogi Wagyu Skirt Steak, and Toasted Orzo.
My husband & I enjoyed yet another LOVELY evening at Lake Avenue - from the chef's counter, we sipped tasty cocktails (mezcal & negroni) while observing the chefs & servers create the most perfect meal & experience for all, everything seemed to run flawlessly! We started with the most delicious calamari (perfectly cooked with a chili kick) & next, the warm kale salad (a must eat) and salmon dish. What a perfect evening! Thank you all for taking such good care of us, we cant wait to return!
Vanessa K — Google review
The food was good however not spectacular. I had the red snapper ceviche and the pork belly sandwich for dinner with a black sesame cheesecake for dessert. The sandwhich was amazing but the fries were plain. The ceviche was watery (if that makes sense) but still good, and the cheese cake was average. The wait staff was incredible however and I would definitely go back.
Josiah W — Google review
This place was excellent! It’s a little hidden and you have to go through the market entrance. The salmon was great and I think the portion was perfect for me. I also got the carrot cake for dessert and it was super rich and dense. Super delicious spot for dinner!
Hannah M — Google review
I've not left a restaurant with such a deep understanding of its city like I have with Lake Avenue. Duluth's urban renewal is charming in the same way a childrens' soccer match is, in that there is an earnest attempt regardless of the result. The same cannot be said about Lake Avenue. A rotating menu will always be bold, and I would have commended them for this had the execution not been so poor. In the images I've included, you'll see the Tofu Masala ($24), the Mac and Cheese ($20), and the Steak Dinner ($53). While I cannot be certain which ingredients were used to push these dishes to such a steep price, I know salt was not one of them. The keen-eyed gourmet will undoubtedly spot the great unifying force of the culinary world, fresno chili and pickled red onion. The unnecessary inclusion of these in both the Tofu Masala and the Steak Dinner unfortunately speaks truth to Lake Avenue's attempt at being something it is not - a restaurant worthy of its prices. Neither the Steak nor Tofu Masala benefit from these flavors, but if your menu is on rotation and you lack the culinary experience to accommodate this, it does provide a universal shock to the palette that might distract your guests from the dish's lack of cohesion. In other circumstances, I would not be so harsh, but the $120 (pre-tip) bill my partner and I paid makes that irresponsible. This is Duluth, Minnesota; leave Lake Avenue, walk 20 seconds in any direction and you'll wind up in a T-Shirt shop or a Bar & Grill. Lake Avenue is not fighting the expectations of its patrons, but the ones that it sets upon itself. Find what works and do it well. No one is asking for anything else.
Logan — Google review
Our visit to Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar was truly enjoyable. We stopped by during a quiet period, so we were seated right away. One of the owners, who was both friendly and attentive, looked after us. We tried the Biscuits and Gravy (without the chili oil) and the Carrot Cake French Toast—both dishes were outstanding and unlike anything we'd tasted before. We're certain we'll return in the future.
Curt O — Google review
Wonderful atmosphere. Nice attentive staff. Food was PHENOMINAL!! only thing I wish different is that the red snapper was the entire fish head on and scored. Most places that serve red snapper do the entire fish. Here it's only 1 fillet. The fish is not quite big enough to do only one fillet. But it was delicious! The calamari was some of the best I've ever had and im from florida and eat a LOT of calamari!

Very nice setting, the atmosphere was wonderful. The food was great, and the drinks were also amazing. I highly recommend the Hurricane. Rio was our server and he was very polite and had a good sense of humor. I will be coming back here in the future.

The staff struck a balance of laid-back and attentive—friendly smiles and helpful guidance from the moment we arrived. Restrooms were simple: two single-occupancy, non-gender-specific rooms. They were clean but showed signs of character—graffiti dotted the walls and ceiling. Seating is self-service style: order at the counter, pick your spot, and the waitstaff brings the food with a warm touch. Lake View & Outdoor Seating It was a foggy day, but we appreciated the generous outdoor seating with views that, on a clearer morning, would be stunning. Even through the mist, the lake added serenity to our brunch. We started with the Pesto Bruschetta, beautifully presented and generously topped with pesto, feta, and tomatoes. It was flavorful, fresh, and visually inviting. The nachos (just a half order!) were unexpectedly hearty—smothered in cheese, tomatoes, a large dollop of sour cream that didn't shy away, and pico de gallo and jalapeno slices on the side. The timing from order to table felt just right. Our waitress arrived with a friendly smile and double-checked that we had everything we needed before leaving us to enjoy. Her attitude matched the tone of the place: casual but caring. 🌟 Overall Impression Despite minor hiccups (parking and fog), Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake delivered a memorable brunch with a side of laid-back charm. Good food, good vibes, and a lakeside setting—9/10 would recommend.

In a city that is pretty vegan-friendly, Sir Ben’s vegan Cobb salad is the single best vegan entree in town. Loaded and perfectly balanced, it’s super delicious & satisfying. I’ve already had this entree four times this summer and will continue to return again and again to try and satisfy my cravings for it. While some places just throw a simple vegan entree on the menu, this one is thoughtful and well executed.

Bees Invaded My Epic Duluth Beer Adventure at Sir Benedict’s—But I'd Still Give It 5 Stars! 🐝🍻 (You Won't Believe the Historic Vibes!) #DuluthHiddenGem 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 Stars – A Historic Beer Haven in Duluth That's Worth the Buzz! Oh man, if you're in Duluth, Minnesota, and craving a craft beer experience that's straight out of a history book, RUN—don't walk—to Sir Benedict’s Tavern on the Lake! This place is a total gem, nestled right on the shores of Lake Superior with an outdoor seating area that feels like you've time-traveled back to the 1800s. Picture this: you're sitting on a charming wooden patio surrounded by century-old brick walls, vintage lanterns flickering in the breeze, and the faint echo of Duluth's maritime past whispering through the air. The historic ambiance is next-level—it's like dining in a restored ship captain's quarters, with exposed beams that tell stories of old trading posts and iron ore ships docking nearby. Every corner screams 'authentic North Shore heritage,' from the rustic stone accents to the panoramic views of the lake that make you feel like you're in a postcard from Minnesota's golden age. It's not just a bar; it's a living piece of Duluth history, perfect for sunset sipping or cozy fall afternoons. And the craft beers? Absolute perfection! They pour local legends on tap, with rotating seasonal brews that hit every note—crisp IPAs with piney hops, smooth stouts that warm you up against the lake chill, and fruity sours that pair insanely well with their pub grub (pro tip: get the fish and chips for that true lakeside vibe). The staff are beer wizards, recommending flights that'll make any hophead swoon. It's the kind of spot where you lose track of time, chatting with locals about Duluth's wild history while the waves lap in the background. The ONLY downside? The bees are in GREAT numbers during fall peak season—think a buzzing squadron that might photobomb your pint! 🐝😂 I had to do a little dance to shoo them away, but honestly, it added to the adventure (nature's way of saying 'welcome to the outdoors!'). Just bring some bug spray or snag an indoor spot if you're bee-phobic—it's a minor hiccup in an otherwise flawless experience. Duluth locals and travelers, this is your sign to go! Historic charm, killer craft beer, and views that'll make your Instagram explode. Who's braving the bees with me? Tag a friend and let's make this spot famous! #SirBenedictsDuluth #CraftBeerLovers #MinnesotaAdventures #HistoricPatioVibes #BeeHiveBar #LakeSuperiorEats #ViralDuluth #Travel

During a recent business trip to Duluth, I was in the mood for a good sandwich for dinner and was steered toward Sir Bene’s by the hotel receptionist — and I’m so glad I went! The atmosphere was fantastic, with an impromptu Irish jam session happening that evening. The musicians were excellent and added such a fun, cozy vibe to the place. I ordered the portobello sandwich, which was delicious — hearty and flavorful, and I was that I held the mayo because the sandwich doesn't need it. Although I didn't drink, they have a huge variety of draught beers. Overall, a great experience all around. Highly recommended!

This place was amazing. The food was fantastic and the people were wonderful. Even had live music starting as we were getting ready to head out.

Ate here for the first time on Friday evening. It was bustling and I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside along with the awesome service and food. I ordered the British Dip with aus jus which was juicy, fresh and quite excellent along with a few of the local beers they had on tap. Selection for both sandwiches and beer was plenty, and I'm definitely looking forward to swinging by when I'm up in Duluth again. Keep up the great work!

We stumbled into this place by accident and, boy, were we lucky! We tried all the ciders on tap, and they are all great. The staff are super nice, and the vibe is a VIBE.

Great selection of ciders. The cider slushies were amazing! It was nice that you could get them with a flight, so you could try them. All the ciders were tasty and fresh. Good food as well. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Great indoor and outdoor seating available. The atmosphere was chill and cozy. Great place to go alone, with your family, or with friends.

Great spot for ciders and food. Currently have a state fair flight that’s fun too!
Valbona B — Google review
Fantastic experience. Get the flight to experience multiple flavors. None of the cider’s are too sweet, even the apple. My wife got the classic dry and loved it. Come here to relax with good tunes on the radio and a good atmosphere being able to relax. Also, great job by the bartenders explaining the different types of ciders.

This place was awesome for families! We came there later for just the ice cream- delicious ice cream sandwich and soft serve. They had a GREAT play area for kids up top for a brewery... It was probably 10x20 with lots of toys that my 5 & 1 year olds enjoyed while we hung out. I assume their food/drink is good but we didn't get any.

Cider bar in a downtown scene with a large patio and plenty of free, nearby parking. They offer a wide variety of unique flavors and what seems to be a revolving flavor of slushie. The staff is friendly and personable and worth a 5 star review themselves! What separates this space is the community aspect. I stopped in during a "Plant Swap" complete with vendors and plant enthusiasts! It's such a great space, and I'll definitely be back while I'm in town. Special shout out to the Pineapple slushie!

Great selection of ciders! Bartenders were super friendly and helpful, we were able to try a couple of the specialty ciders before deciding. They also have really good creemee ice cream!! And that’s coming from a previous Vermont resident!

Just wow! We passed through this place on the way to Ursa Major Brewing and it seemed like there was a trivia going on. We came right after the trivia ended and found ourselves delighted by the cider options. We tried 2 different flights and most of the ciders on the menu including the bourbon and each was very unique and delicious. We also ordered a pretzel which came with our new found favorite dip Top the Tater! Date of visit: December 29 2022

Ursa Minor Brewing in Duluth is a rising star in the local brewery scene, named after the North Star constellation. The taproom offers a lively atmosphere with a large patio featuring over 30 tables and a pontoon that doubles as a music stage. Inside, visitors can enjoy comfortable seating, live music on weekends, and an emphasis on comfort beer.
I love that they have vegan pizza! There's no vegan cheese, but they have fresh veggies and mushrooms, and even top it with nooch! The wood fired crust is so delicious. Their bear bread (focaccia) is perfect to snack on while you wait for the pizza. I love the outdoor space and the fires. I love being outside even if it's a bit chilly. I like that they have seltzer options for those of us who don't like beer.

This is a great brewery. Street parking can be a little tricky, I’m not sure if there’s a private parking lot in the back. Ample outdoor seating, a lot of indoor seating, huge beer selection. It’s counter service so you wait in line. There’s no bar seating which I prefer at breweries. The pizza is great. They bring you a pager and you hold it up and get your pizza they sell beer to go, they have merchandise and stickers. I actually left my messenger bag in my beer journal here and was lucky enough to retrieve it the next day. Dog friendly on the patio. Super cool vibe and of course the beer is fantastic, so is the pizza. It’s on the west side, close to warrior brewing and bent paddle brewing. A couple cideries in the area as well.

Ursa Minor is one of the best spots in Duluth for beer. We tried the Caprese pizza and it was fantastic the thin crust was perfectly crunchy with pesto and balsamic glaze that made every bite delicious. The soft German pretzel was huge, fluffy, and perfect for sharing. Highly recommend adding the garlic ricotta spread, it was excellent. For drinks, I did a beer flight and loved it. The Kölsch was crisp and refreshing, the Citrus Mistress seltzer was light and fun, and the Galactic Face IPA was the standout favorite. Phenomenal beers across the board. The dog-friendly patio with heaters makes it a great year-round hangout, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Definitely a must-visit in Duluth.

Large variety of beers on tap, which is really nice. Gotta love the balanced hazy IPAs. We are obsessed with the pizza. The dough is something to be admired. It's somehow all together chewy, light, crispy and soft. Usually we get a simple margarita pie just to be able to better taste the quality of the crust and the tomato sauce. Pizza perfection 👌
Brittni D — Google review
The pizza and the beer were both incredible. Love the outdoor area; it was a beautiful evening. I can't remember all the beers we tried, but every single one was incredible. The pizza was the one with the wild rice sausage - 10/10. Easily some of the best pizza I've had. The staff was amazing, too! I will certainly be back next time I'm in Duluth.

AMAZING experience on a fall afternoon! We had a flight including: Sauna 10/10, Blackbirds & Blueberries 10/10, Prickly Bear 8/10, Breakfast Ball 10/10! The wood fire margarita pizza was 10/10! Great staff! Highly recommend!

we really enjoyed the model of this establishment where it was a seat yourself, clean up after yourself, order at the counter, laid-back type joint with lots of outdoor seating and a kid friendly space. The food was delicious, the kale pizza was our favorite! The smoked trout salad came with a large piece of fish and could feed for adults easily. The flight of beers was also a great option to try them all!

Katie, up at Cascade Lodge, told me to check this place out. Oh yeah, better than average beer, and the pizza is cheap and quality. After the 1st bite, I told my wife that the sauce tasted homemade. Sure enough, that and the crust. New fav in Duluth

Glensheen Mansion, situated in Duluth, Minnesota, is a historic house museum that offers tours of its 39-room mansion and extensive grounds. Originally constructed in 1908 by the influential Congdon family, this architectural masterpiece boasts Jacobean Revival design and breathtaking views of Lake Superior. Visitors can explore the well-preserved interior with original furnishings and learn about the estate's rich history during guided tours.
The grounds and mansion are beautiful! We’ve done several mansion tours around the country and this was the largest, best preserved site we’ve seen. Unfortunately it was 90+ degrees the day we visited and that kept us from fully enjoying it, it is very warm inside the mansion on a hot day, but worth the walk through. We did appreciate the fans set up in every room. I recommend buying tickets ahead of time as entry is timed, we weren’t sure what time we’d be there so we bought tickets when we arrived and waited about an hour. We did the self guided full tour, $64 for two people - again, we felt it was worth it. It’s set up with ropes and signs so it’s always obvious where you should be going next and staff is scattered throughout. We walked through more quickly than we normally would due to the heat, it took us about 45 mins but I could see it taking longer if you stop to read everything. Highly recommend checking it out.
Melissa G — Google review
Walked the grounds with my niece and sister, loved being able to explore the space outside the mansion after years of taking the indoor tour and skipping the outside portion. Pictures from the 20th of August. It was only 5 dollars for the grounds pass.

This is truly the most amazing place. The woodwork and craftsmanship were the best I have seen. Most rooms where done in different woodwork and supplies from all over the word. Grounds and home have been well taken care of.

This is definitely the most impressive mansion tour I've taken. Everything is set up to be very authentic to the period. We took the self-guided tour, which I highly recommend since they have many interpretive markers to read for more information about the room and history.

Holy smokes this place was awesome. Wife and I are into touring mansion museums when traveling and we really appreciated the full self guided tour. Would recommend doing the tour that gets you into the attic and upstairs areas. Colin was an awesome source of information and you can tell that he enjoys sharing.

This place is awesome! A must see! It's just amazing the amount of money and work that went into building this house in the early 1900s! So modern for its day! The woodworking is just exquisite! And the stable is, wow, like a house, not a barn! We went on a self guided tour for $20 per person. A great tour because the path is marked out so well! And the yard and gardens are just beautiful!
Susan C — Google review
This was a nice in door tour of the mansion. You'll be walking around the rooms and reading family history. There's also a sea shell scavenger hunt which made it fun. There's not a lot of places during the tour to take a break and have a seat but otherwise there's some out door patio furniture once you get outside where you can relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful lake. There's also military discounts, UMD student discounts and elderly discounts as well. Definitely a nice tour if you're into history and architecture.

Excellent self-guided tour. Beautiful early turn of the century (1905) mansion. Beautiful views of Lake Superior. Our teens enjoyed that the tour was self paced so they went fast and hung out on the beach and hammocks while we went slower.

Run by Master Brewer Dave Hoops and his team of talented brewers, the brewery offers an array of brews from basic to creative options. Locals particularly love the chili pepper ale and Hoops-centric Pales. The laid-back atmosphere is enhanced by features like a hammered copper bar and wooden pillars.
Was in Duluth this weekend and made a stop at Hoops Brewing and was so happy I did! What an awesome place, with a great team and such a variety of drinks. I usually have a hard time finding something like, but found several new favorites. I definitely recommend stopping in!

Hoops Brewing is very close to canal park and has a large taproom with a large variety of beers on tap. If you like German beer this would be a great place to checkout as there are many German style beers on tap. A 3% discount is applied if you pay in cash. Additionally the pints are imperial size (20oz) so you get an additional bang for your buck with their prices being similar to others charging the same for 16oz.

Was the best brewery we tried in Duluth. Located inside another building, so not really easy to find, but once inside, the atmosphere is great. Probably had the most options and styles available for beer that we had experienced in Duluth (we had just been to Ursa and Bent... Hoops was better). Easy to read boards, and easy to classify beers. Many options.

When I'm at Hoops, it feels the closest thing to home out of any brewery I've been to.(Across the country as well!) As a long time patron, I am always amazed by how unbelievably kind the staff is during each visit. The beer selection is great with such high quality. The staff and atmosphere really set this destination brewery apart from all the rest. Cheers Folks and Keep up the GOOD WORK!

Hoops Brewing is several of my local friends favorite brewery. They are inside another building but offer a great atmosphere, have a fair amount of space, and friendly service. They are regularly rotating their beer selection. On my stop they had 20 beers on including: Black lager, 2 Pale ales, UK Pale ale, Brown Ale, Maibock, cream ale, Helles ale, Roggen, Kristalweizen, Dunkelweizen, IPA, Champagne IPA, English Porter, Chili Ale, Pure Guava, Apple ale, and a Maple Lager. Everything we tried was really good and I will be back next time I am in town.

Good beer and cool atmosphere! My only complaint was the male beertender working around 7:00 on 7/10/2025. He was very indifferent and seemed annoyed we were there! We were sitting at the bar and were there for the first time. He walked by us a few times on a slow night. He ignored us and when he finally asked us if we wanted a drink he had a strange look like we were an inconvenience to him! It's a shame he had to ruining the great atmosphere!

Fantastic atmosphere. Beer hall + board games galore. You can order flights in any number and they come in the most adorable little glasses. Unique beers - we loved the Wood Smoked Hefeweizen (no. 99) and the Chili Pepper Ale (no. 325). No food but they have lots of bar snacks and locally made Bavarian pretzels. Family friendly, helpful staff. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Love Creamery in Canal Park is the go-to spot for delicious homemade ice cream in Duluth. They offer a wide range of flavors, including traditional options like dark chocolate and mint chocolate chip, as well as unique creations such as vegan chai and vegan rocky road to cater to dietary requirements. The commitment to using local ingredients and sustainable practices has made Love Creamery a popular choice among locals.
Stumbled upon this adorable new ice cream spot while walking around the neighborhood, and I’m so glad I did! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with big smiles and ice-cold water (a total lifesaver on a hot day). The place feels super clean, fresh, and welcoming — you can tell the team takes pride in their shop. They’ve got plenty of seating, both inside and out, which makes it a perfect little hangout spot. Great for dates, families, or just a solo treat-yourself moment. Now, the important part: the ice cream. Absolutely delicious — super creamy, not overly sweet, and you can taste the quality in every bite. We went with the coffee bean, vanilla and salted caramel — they were hits. Also… be warned (in a good way) — the portion sizes are HUGE. I couldn’t finish mine, and that never happens. Extra points for the vibe — music playing softly, cute decor, and just a warm, friendly atmosphere. Feels like the kind of place that will become a regular neighborhood favorite real soon. Highly recommend swinging by if you’re nearby!

Love Creamery is a must-visit for ice cream lovers. They have an incredible variety of unique flavors, the Goat Cheese Honeycomb is a standout, perfectly creamy with sweet crunch, and the Salted Chocolate Brownie is just as amazing. They also offer plenty of vegan ice cream options with vegan toppings, plus homemade waffle cones and even ice cream flights, which are a fun way to sample it all. The shop itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t be nicer. A Duluth gem that combines creativity, quality, and great service.

We waited in line for a while, but once we reached the counter, it was nice to see that they offered samples of their flavors. They don't have the usual options like plain strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla, but the flavors they do have are really tasty. I ordered two scoops of the apple crisp, and I have to admit we couldn't resist and started eating before snapping a picture. It was delicious, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in town. The customer service was great too. There was a gal working there in a red shirt who wasn't even the one helping us, yet she still took the time to talk and ask where we were visiting from. I also really liked the décor; it added to the overall experience.

We visited Love Creamery during a recent trip to Duluth and were not disappointed! Unique flavors, delicious ice cream, and friendly staff. We have an adventurous eater and a pickier eater, and everyone was able to find something they liked. The shop was very busy even on a cool, brisk afternoon, but the line moved quickly. Wish we lived closer so we could try more of their interesting flavor offerings! We will definitely be back when we are in Duluth again!

So insanely good - highly recommend getting a flight. Easy to share between two or three people. We got a flight with: * Salted Caramel (gf) and fall 2025 seasonal flavors: * London Fog (gf) * Chokeberry Chip (gf) * Cinnamon Snickerdoodle (gf) * Apple Crisp (gf) * Goatcheese Honeycomb (gf) Our favorite was the goat cheese honeycomb hands down (sweet but a lil savory) So insanely tasty! Second fav was London Fog which tasted JUST LIKE the drink! All the other flavors were good too, just hqrd to compete with how exceptional those two were. Staff were efficient and professional - line moves quicker than you’d think!

Flavors and textures. Can't complain. Salted caramel and dark chocolate would be my top 2 out of the 6 I had. Ordering the flight, i expected a sampler portion. And not a feast 😅. Duluth Grill is a beloved restaurant in Duluth, MN, offering a warm and modern atmosphere with an extensive breakfast menu. The eatery provides locally sourced comfort food with an eclectic twist, such as a creamy Havarti omelet stuffed with house-smoked salmon. Known for its made-from-scratch dishes and fresh ingredients, the restaurant offers hearty options like the Billy Bob Burrito and Deluxe Biscuits & Gravy.
This is a must stop for great breakfast or lunch when near Duluth. It was very busy the day we went, but only a few minutes wait for a table. The servers are all attentive and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of gluten free options. The grits were amazing. The rusted brussel sprouts were great. Delicious thick cut bacon. My family thought the cinnamon roll French toast was the best ever! They have home made lemonade, custom coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, and brunch cocktails. We went at lunch time on a weekday, and it was rather loud. But the food is so good.

Plates were all beautifully presented!

Duluth Grill is a great place to grab some breakfast. They have a nice sized menu with takes on classics as well as some of their own special dishes. They even make most things on their menu from scratch even down things like their ketchup and lemonade. We tried quite a few things, and while the cinnamon roll was on the sweeter side it was still moist and fluffy. Everything else we have was very very fresh and not greasy at all. The main thing to note is the wait times. On average you may wait anywhere from 30mins to over an hour for a table depending on party size and where you want to sit. Definitely a must stop for anyone in Duluth looking for a good breakfast.

The Duluth Grill was worth the 40 minute wait! I would definitely plan ahead if you want to eat her during peak hours. We had a party of five and we all had something different. Everybody raved about their food. Service was outstanding too! The standouts were the barbacoa hash and the brussel sprouts.

Sights & Landmarks
The Aerial Lift Bridge is a historic landmark in Duluth, spanning the Duluth Ship Canal and providing stunning views of the bustling harbor and Lake Superior. Originally constructed in 1905 as a transporter bridge, it was later converted to a lift bridge and has become one of the busiest bridges in the United States. The bridge's deck can be raised 135 feet to accommodate large ships passing through.
We were in Duluth for the day and decided to check out the Aerial Lift Bridge. We've seen the Aerial Lift Bridge on some YouTube videos but this was our first time seeing it in person. We got to watch it raise and lower a couple of times, very cool. Also got to snag a Geocache while we were on the bridge.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Aerial Lift Bridge is such an unforgettable icon of Duluth. Watching it gracefully rise to let ships through while boat horns echo across the water—thrilling! The canal surroundings are full of energy, from tourists snapping photos to fishermen casting lines. It’s a landmark that’s equally dramatic, historic, and deeply tied to the character of the North Shore. Great place to tour with the Vista Fleet Scenic Tour

Such a great icon in the city of the Duluth which is the Minnesota seaway. Fun to drive or walk over. Neat to see the road lift to allow boats and barges pass through. Next to Canal Park which is full of shops and restaurants. Fun place to discover.

It was amazing to both see and drive this bridge. It has beautiful architecture, and it was great to see it raise and lower

Just a very cool place to go and watch the ships (usually ore ships) come in. There's a museum and small gift shop. Not far to several restaurants and ice cream and shopping.

Fun watching the ships and boats come and go. Fun to watch the bridge lift and be lowered to allow the ships and boats to pass through. Lots to see and great place for a walk.

An interesting city with a unique bridge. We were hoping to see a big ship, but did get to see it go up for a smaller vessel. A great downtown area to visit.

This 1930's Army Corps of Engineers built bridge is a wonderful machine at over 90 years old. Watching those 500 tonight counterweights balance out the 1,000 ton span is cool to watch. It looks quite similar to the Cape Cod Canal bridge.

American restaurant
Grandma's Saloon & Grill is a beloved dining spot with a vintage atmosphere and classic American fare. With two locations in Duluth, the Canal Park site offers outdoor seating and a bustling tourist scene, while the Miller Hill location has its own charm. The menu features an array of pasta, sandwiches, and burgers that have garnered national recognition.
Great location and great enviornment but a bit noisy so if that’s not your vibe I’d not come or arrive earlier. There’s a normal booth seating area but also a bar seating area. I got Smoky Baked Mac N’ Cheese which was extremely good and I’d definitely eat again if I returned. They’ve got a decent range of dishes such as pasta, side pieces, beverages, a kid menu, starters, burgers, salads, sandwiches, and such. The pieces around the restaurant on the walls, ceiling, and such were quite unique and had good humour to it. They’ve also got a merchandise/souvenir section right next to the entrance/exit.

We wanted to try Grandma’s because it is a popular spot in Duluth. We loved the theme and ambience of the restaurant. There were so many things to look at! We got there as the restaurant opened, so we were seated quickly. The food was mediocre. It was nothing that stood out from the other places we ate at in Duluth. Serving was huge though! Our server was not great. It seemed like she didn’t really want to be there. She was rude to some members of our party. She gave the vibe that we should be grateful that she was even taking our order. Overall, Grandma’s was an experience. I think if you’re in Duluth, you should at least try it once. Will we come back? No.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch on our way up north and had the most amazing time!!! The atmosphere was so fun, the food was delicious (huge portions) and the service was incredible. Our server, Lisa, went above and beyond to give us everything we needed (despite us being quite indecisive). We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Lisa!!!!

We recently had the opportunity to dine at Grandma’s Saloon & Grill for the first time. Although we have frequently visited Duluth while traveling to and from the North Shore, we had never had the chance to visit Grandma’s until now. On a summer weekday afternoon, the establishment was half full. The service was excellent, and we were impressed by the ambiance. However, the food was average and somewhat overpriced. I opted for the Chicken Pot Pie, while my wife chose the Walleye.
Michael R — Google review
Nice atmosphere. Trout sandwich had very little meat or substance. Chicken sandwiches looked good, not toasted bread. No refills on water. Seemed too busy to check on customers. Fun experience overall, food looked good. Fries and fried cheese were great.

Whewww…We had a great experience at Grandma’s Saloon & Grill. The wait time was minimal, and the staff was friendly from the moment we walked in. Our waiter, Brenden, was an absolute pleasure—he remembered our entire order perfectly and was incredibly attentive throughout the meal. The barbecue wings were a standout! They were perfectly sauced with just the right amount of smoky sweetness. Excellent service all around!

What a great themed restaurant with great food, service, and atmosphere. The pictures do not do it justice. This is a must see and experience restaurant if you’re in the Duluth area. My only suggestion would be to advise your guests that there are two completely different menus between the main floor and the upper level before you seat them.

Cool place to eat for a touristy spot. Walls are decorated with awesome decorated. Food was ok. Large portions. The best item was the wild rice and gravey they serve with it. Does have a deck to watch the bridge.

Restaurant
OMC Smokehouse, short for "Oink, Moo, Cluck," is a vibrant restaurant offering elevated BBQ with a global twist. The menu features a variety of slow-smoked barbecue dishes with house-made sauces and delectable sides like duck fat fries and cheesy jalapeno grits. The establishment is known for its generous portions, reasonable prices, and casual atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to savor a hearty meal with friends or family.
Best smoked meats we have ever had! Party of 2 , ordered (Weekday late lunch/dinner) : omc smoked plate, pork n' grits, added extra briskets, and creme brulee. Smoked brisket just melts in ur mouth and even the chicken was great (took leftovers to our camping site and grilled them later and it was more amazing!) Grits were so good that we ordered one to go a couple of days later. Creme brulee was divine. It had the perfect sugar crunchy layer on top of the smooth creme and it was perfect w the candied bacon. Would definitely try this again! The four sauces they had were also so yummy w the pork rinds! Everything was super tasty =)
Esther M — Google review
Just had the BEST Q outside of Texas! Beginning with the complimentary fried rinds and an explanation of the various sauces, every item was prepared with perfection! Our server, Sarah was exemplary! Husband had brisket and ribs. Tender and flavorful. I had the burrito bowl and I highly recommend it! Sides were tasty blends of complimentary seasoning as well.

Food was excellent! Great taste, flavors we’ve never had before, nice portion sizes. One of the owners, Louie, stopped by our table and we enjoyed hearing a little about his story. He was humble and kind. We received wonderful service and felt well cared for. We would definitely recommend OMC Smokehouse to friends and family and will definitely be back when we are in the area.

My sister and I went to lunch at OMC smokehouse on Friday, September 19, 2025. We were in the area and wanted to get a nice lunch. I read the reviews online and thought this would be a great place. The ambience of the place was great. Our host that seated us was very nice. Our server Sarah was absolutely wonderful. But the food was not so great. I ordered the appetizers - pork belly lettuce wraps and the beef fat fries. My sister ordered the burrito bowl and the barbecue wings appetizer. While the pork belly had a great flavor, it was the consistency of leather. Very dry and chewy. I did not finish eating the appetizer. I did mention this to our server Sarah. The beef, fat fries, while having wonderful flavor, were very limp and soggy. The burrito bowl, while having great flavor, the rice was nothing but mush. Again, the barbecue wings had great flavor, but were a little dry. We only ordered water for our beverages. We did bring home the extra wings and the extra beef fat fries (hoping we could crisp up the fries in an air fryer, but that didn’t work out so well). I guess I expected a bit more for a $80 lunch (not including tip).

This is the place I keep coming back to whenever I visit Duluth. The BEST brisket in Minnesota, it’s so good and tender that it melts in your mouth. The St. Louis style ribs are also the best here. If it’s your first time here, I’d recommend the Smoked OMC Plate, you’d get a bit of each of their best dishes (ribs, brisket, and smoked chicken). Personally, I prefer the ribs and the brisket, so we just get a full order of those. The sides are delicious. The mac and cheese is a must. The candied sweet potato bake was great as well, but it was too sweet to have along with the other dishes - I had it as more of a desert dish. The potato salad was also really good and I recommend, and nothing can go wrong with the corn. Highly recommend OMC Smokehouse!

Amazing food, staff were great, very cool interior and atmosphere. The bar-b-cuban was amazing and suggest trying it. The Louisiana catfish and chips were delicious! All the sauces are great and had to buy some to take home! Love to try old fashions every restaurant I try and theirs is delicious and one the best I've had in a while!

BEST experience, all the way around! Brisket was flavorful and DELICIOUS; dipping sauce options were varied, house-made, and tasty; my dietary-delicate husband was able to get a phenomenal burger on a gluten-free bun; sides were unique and mouthwatering (I tried the hush puppies, pecan-topped sweet potatoes, and my husband's fries); and the drinks were excellent - SO MANY bourbon options! We requested to sit on the patio. It was peaceful and the atmosphere was stellar. I cannot recommend this place enough. If I am ever in Duluth again, I'm going back to try the pulled pork. My only complaint is that it said on the menu that gluten-free buns would not be an additional charge, but they did charge us a few dollars extra for it. I think because we told them not to worry about cross-contamination? Lucky for them, everything else was 6/5 stars.

Had the chance to head to OMC with a friend last night. We were greeted by the friendly hostess who complimented my 2 piece outfit. (Thank you, love!) We were seated quickly indoors around 6 pm on a Thursday evening and got a lovely server who was very attentive all evening. The atmosphere was nice and not too loud even though it was fairly busy. Our drinks and food came out fast. We ordered 3 dishes to split. Nashville hot chicken sandwich w/ beef fat fries: the fries were a 10/10! Flavor was amazing. Excellent crunch with a nice soft inside. Could have eaten a million of these fries. Sandwich was 5/10. Wasn’t super flavorful, bun was a little burnt, chicken wasn’t super juicy. I would recommend their sister company Chicken n What for a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich instead. 3 smoked wings with dry rub with ranch and bleu cheese: 10/10 SO GOOD. Crispy on the outside. Soooo juicy on the inside. Dry rub was delicious. Ranch and bleu cheese were both amazing! Sweet Chili Crispy Chicken Wrap w/ Mac n Cheese: wrap was 8/10 great flavor. The pickled jalapeno packed a ridiculous spicy punch that we were not expecting. It was good but woooo chile, it was a kick in the tastebuds. So be prepared. Mac n cheese…2/10. Pasta was cooked well, but the Mac and cheese just lacked flavor and depth. I’m not even sure my kids would have ate it. The cheese they sprinkled on top wasn’t even melted. Overall a good experience here! Will definitely come back for wings and to check out the outdoor seating when the air quality is better. Loved that they had a fire pit out there. They also do not serve THC beverages which is a total bummer, but Legacy Cannabis is right across the street!

Dubh Linn Brew Pub is a lively Irish pub and microbrewery known for its old-school charm, bar-food menu, and whiskey selection. The pub houses a nano micro-brewery where small batches of beer are handcrafted, allowing for experimentation with flavors and high-quality brews. From seasonal varieties to classic pub ales, visitors can sample different drinks or opt for a flight to taste test four selections.
To be fair, there was only one bartender, and he was servicing the whole place to the best of my knowledge. The food was phenomenal, and the service was extremely exceptional for one person! Would highly recommend. They have free pool and shuffleboard, other board games , and cozy places to sit.
Brenda — Google review
We went on a Saturday night for one of their comedy shows and had a solid good time. The drinks were strong, the atmosphere was exactly as a pub should be and the service was spot on. The comedians need to see a therapist about their obsession with their history of, apparently incessant, pubescent masterbation! Unfortunately they both seemed to think that was the only subject they could find that would ensure laughter. It was funny for about 10 minutes but then it felt like middle school for the remainder of the show. The food was fair, my wife had fish and chips and enjoyed her basket. I had the shepard's pie and it was decent but way over salted and I like salty food. But, thankfully, like I said earlier, the drinks were really strong.

My wife and I have been homeless in Duluth for the past 6 months. This bar and one of it's employees became the first time I have experienced discrimination in Duluth due to our status as homeless. The bartender working last night opened the front door as we stood on a public sidewalk next to the bar. We were not there long, and we weren't disruptive or causing and issues at all nor were we blocking access to customers in any way. The bartender looked at my wife, a friend who is also homeless in a wheel chair, and my wife then proceeded to tell us we could not be standing by his business because we were turning away customers. I couldn't believe he discriminated because he knew we are homeless. Duluth has an enormous problem on their hands with the overwhelming population of homeless. Many of us have done nothing to deserve homelessness, we're also not drug addicts who choose to spend their money on drugs rather than necessities. Personally, I grew up in a wealthier family and have vacationed here since I was born. I have an education and owned my own business that was very successful. I went from the top of society to the bottom in a short period of time which was not my fault unfortunately. If you have any morals. If you have a heart, and if you believe stereotyping, and discrimination regardless of the situation is wrong do not patronize this business. If I could I would shut them down specifically for this very incident whether I was discriminated or had been a witness. I hope the owner of Dubh Linn reads this. I may be homeless, but I am not idiot. I also have an education, and I previously owned a business myself. If the owner is reading this before you receive anything from my attorney first, I have every intention to make it publicly known on social media and news publications of this discrimination. I also will be following through with my attorney filing a discrimination lawsuit so I receive monetary compensation for the discrimination by your bar. I am not going to be keeping everything I am awarded in court. It will help other individuals who have become like family. Those of us who are homeless for the most part stick together, we help each other, and none of us deserve to be told to leave a public sidewalk because we look and are homeless. I hope your bar is boycotted hopefully forcing you to shut down or the city shuts you down for the act committed by an employee of yours. If the owner wishes to settle this atrocity before I hand it to my attorney please comment on this with a way to contact you. If not, as I said above, I have no issue following through with a discrimination lawsuit.

Dubh Linn was awesome, we went on Thursday night for the amateur comedy night and the atmosphere was great. Free pool & darts were great options. Our fries were very good, crispy and flavorful. Bartender was super nice and friendly, everyone in the staff team just loved to be there and was happy to help some new faces. If I was local I’d be coming here often.

This place had some pretty good food. You grab a menu and order at bar. I had lamb Sheperds pie & a side of cabbage & veggies...delish! My friend had shrimp & fries and said they were good too. Of course the Guinness was great. Atmosphere was older but comfortable. There was a nook area with a fireplace & comfy looking chairs. A charming old red phone booth. The booths for seating were super high, so if your height challenged it may be hard to get into, but there are other seating options. I'd like to stop back at another time & maybe play pool and try more things on the menu.

Nice Irish pub in downtown Duluth. Great place for group celebration. Great beer selections and full bar service. Very accommodating staff who catered to our varied needs, with young family members and an older segment as well as good food selections. Nicely appointed with colorful flags and a clean interior that was very inviting.

Extremely disappointing experience. I went to this bar and felt clearly unwelcome as a person of color. The bartender with dark hair parted to the side treated me and my friends very rudely compared to other guests. It genuinely felt discriminatory — we were questioned and ignored while others were served right away. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable or singled out because of their background. I hope the owners take this seriously and train their staff to treat everyone with the same respect.
Tyler N — Google review
Limited staff with unlimited smiles 😃 what a treasure to have found on a girl's trip. They offer a small eating menu but a mastered menu for certain. A wide selection of drinks to choose from and served with compassion! The Reuben was scrumptious and flavorful with a precise balance of fresh, moist meat and lightly crispy toasted rye bread. The garlic mashed potatoes did not warrant any touches of flavor. The cheesy spinach artichoke burger was bursting with robust flavors igniting a savoring euphoria💞

Duluth Cider is a must-visit spot in Duluth, offering an impressive selection of adult beverages including hard cider seltzers and dry ciders available in pints, flights, crowlers, or cans. Their unique flavors like Los Lajas Coffee Cider are highly recommended. The cidery hosts event nights such as taco Tuesdays, wood-fired pizza Wednesdays, and K&B Grilled Cheese Truck on Fridays from 4 to 8 PM.
The ciders were excellent! Each of them had unique flavor and were well crafted ! I highly recommend the coffee flavored one, I know it sounds weird, but it works ! The service was friendly, professional, and efficient! I would gladly go back if I was in the area again. I don't think they serve any food but they were okay with us bringing food from the outside.

I’m not a huge beer fan so a little disappointed they didn’t have a seltzer option like most breweries do today. They had a coffee infused cider that I ended up trying. It was pretty sweet for my liking. I don’t think cider was meant to be infused with coffee.

I love visiting this street in Duluth because of the two cideries and a brewery right in a line. Duluth Cider has some really unique flavors that aren't all fruit-forward. In the fall and winter I love the options with warming spices. They have a super cozy indoor space and some nice spots outside. I was super happy to see Crow & Co. Booksellers there last time I stopped in!

I LOVE ciders, and this place is heaven! Traveled 4.5 hours to try it out! Totally worth it. I definitely brought a bunch to take home! They have a cider for any taste from sweet, to dry! I was so nervous to try the coffee cider, it was NOTHING like i excepted. It was light, crisp, sweet and fantastic! Literally a coffee cider, amazing! I'll definitely be coming back to restock! 100000000/10!!

Absolutely amazing experience. Plenty of seating, plenty of different styles of cider to choose from, plenty of different flavors to experience. The stand-out was definitely Greenstone (hopped, semi-dry)-- bright, crisp, effervescent spring in a pint. We spent 6 hours here-- probably would have stayed longer, but we had a long drive ahead of us.

Excellent craft ciders, with a wide variety from sweet to dry. Flavored, spiced, and my preference, pure dry cider. The barrel aged in cognac barrels was very interesting. Superior Dry is an everyday sipper. They had 2 hopped ciders, both apple forward without the hops overpowering them. They added something, and paired well with stir fry noodles. You're allowed to bring your own food (I did). Friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Simply amazing. We had a season pass for the first time this past season and not once were we disappointed. From hilarious scenes to powerful moments, the Duluth Playhouse has exceeded my expectations in multiple ways. Great actors! Very impressed with the caliber of these locals actors. These plays feature elaborate sets, great music (which is sometimes live), lively sound effects, notable choreography, and beyond. And the Norshor Theater! It is beautiful, with not a bad seat on the house. Recently renovated, it is modern and clean while keeping many of its original details and charm, paired with good concession options and convenient skywalk accessibility. They even have ushers waiting by the parking ramp to assist with directions and wheelchairs if needed. Lastly, I can't forget to include the customer service staff. We had an unexpected family tragedy that resulted in us missing a play, but we didn't realize it until afterwards. The office staff worked with us to make sure we could get new arrangements. It meant the world to us to be able to attend something positive after our heavy time. Thank you Duluth Playhouse! You never disappoint. Can't wait for the next season to begin!

If I could give more stars I would. The ambiance was great. I loved the dim lighting and seating. It made it feel like an upscale bar. They have a lot of variety of beverages. Martinis, scotch, bourbon, etc. What really topped off our experience was our server, Claire! She was really attentive and sweet. She was on top of it whenever our water or beverages were low and kept refilling when needed. She was very personable and kind. I couldn't ask for more. That's what we would expect coming to a place like this or anywhere for that matter We need more of her! She catered everything we asked for! She was really on the ball and helped us with recommendations. Would come back just for the experience and ambience. I hope to have her again as a server! The music was very chill, but fitting for the lounge. I would highly recommend coming for something low-key.

We were here Saturday night. They weren't too busy. The service was great and the drinks came so fast! Ambience was perfect and you got to pick where you sit. They had a number of different fun seating areas to choose from whether you were there with a big group or if you wanted something more intimate. We got the steak bites that came with fries. Yummy and I really liked the spicy ketchup.

Best place to go, hands down, for date night or girls night... if you're looking for drinks and a light meal or apps. The martinis are delish, as is the food! And of course, the loungy atmosphere with the big comfy chairs is a bonus. Fondue for two is a favorite!

We had the cheese fondue - for under $20 it was literally a full meal! The meat was so tender and was served with apples, grapes and bread - it was so much higher quality fare than the price. One MUST try the Absinthe fountain pour- such a classy experience- everything about this bar and restaurant is top notch and servers friendly; live jazz music from 6-9 pm which was a relaxing plus! Great location and not too loud - romantic and modern renovation. with vintage, speak-easy a decor! Offer and extensive whiskey and bourbon list too- must go before it becomes too popular!!

Duluth Tap Exchange is a game-changer in the Lincoln Park Craft District, offering a self-pour tap wall with an extensive selection of local and regional craft beer, hard seltzer, cider, and wine. This innovative concept allows patrons to pour their own drinks, make purchasing decisions at their own pace, and sample specialized offerings without committing to a full pint. The taproom provides a unique experience by combining the best aspects of a night out with the comfort and convenience of home.
Neat little hang out place. Something we hadn’t experienced before. Everything is self serve and paid by the tenth of an ounce more or less. The rub down is, you give them your card to charge, and they give you a proximity bracelet (or 2+ depending on your party size and who’s paying). Every drink they currently offer, is on wall in a line of wall taps. You choose your flavor, and present your bracelet to that tap, and it grants permission to pour. It meters your pour down to the tenth of an oz or so. Every drink has its own independent price so it charges accordingly. Not sure if you’ll like something? No problem, just pour a small sip out and try it. If you like it, pour more. If you want to try something else, move on down the line trying others. Once you leave for the evening, your proximity bracelet will have everything tallied up front for your bill. No more buying a drink for $6 that you don’t like. You can be here all night drinking nothing but samples after samples if that’s your gig. And when I say sample, they are paid samples, not a freebie. I’m just saying you can try little amounts of 20 different kinds if you want. Find one you like, you can stick with it. Staff is friendly and helpful. They also rotate a lot of glassware from what people use and from what has been washed to set out. We found this to be a pretty cool way of handling things. No waitstaff, so your get up and pour your own, but also no obligatory feeling to tip for every drink as well. You can still tip at the end if you’d like. This kind of place and it’s service style may not be for every ton, but we found it quite pleasant, as we could drink at our own pace, without feeling like waitstaff had to keep asking how we were doing. It’s a very load back atmosphere, and one we enjoyed, and we really aren’t bar people to begin with.

The server was great really enjoyed her and she had great feedback on all the drinks. Molly is a great server and has the personality to go along with it. She makes the experience enjoyable and a great atmosphere, definitely want to come back when she’s working again!!!! Can’t wait to be back!

Absolutely brilliant idea. Try many many beers for a very reasonable cost with their state of the art system and bring in delicious food from wherever you want (tho we highly recommend OMC next door). These guys also have great pizza tho.

Bartender Kyle was fantastic!! He approached our table multiple times to chat/and was very observant about grabbing empty glasses. He also offered to mix us up some shots. Great drinks, great conversation! (We could’ve done without the lavender lemon drop martini)

Great place to go that offers a large variety of craft beers, ciders, and cocktails on tap. With the self pour ability, you can sample a small amount before fully committing. If that’s not for you they also have a decent bar selection.

Fu spot with lots of beers to sample and enjoy. I got a wrist phob and tried 5 or 6 before settling on one to enjoy. Lot's of variety, plenty of good beers but not many great beers on tap.

What an awesome concept. So easy to try many beers without having to buy an entire glass and either be so full, you're ready to burst, or so drunk you won't even appreciate the variety.

Cocktail bar
Restaurant
Nestled in a historic building, Jade Fountain Cocktail Lounge is the brainchild of Duluth native Kai Soderberg, who brought his passion for craft cocktails back to his hometown. The lounge opened its doors in 2020 amidst the pandemic, revitalizing the iconic space that had been empty since 2015. With a laid-back 70s vibe and an exotic collection of specialty drinks, this former Chinese restaurant now serves as a Polynesian Tiki bar offering classic tropical cocktails.
They’ve always had out of this world cocktails, but have you had their WINGS?! I’m not even a wing person and I cant wait for more. 3/23/24- they have wings Weds through Sat. Anything on the special board is worth trying. The daiquiri is perfection.
Anne C — Google review
Enjoyed the vibe here, neat cocktail lounge with some fun drink options!
Sarah S — Google review
Enjoyed it. We’ve been coming to Jade Fountain once a year when we’re in the area visiting our son, for several years now. We’ve always ordered their Old Fashioned, so tonight was no exception. I wasn’t too fond of the bourbon used but the drink was well made and was on a nice big ice cube. The vibe here is “speakeasy” in my opinion. Each time we’ve been here, there’s only one person working and he stays busy. But he is very efficient, so we’ve never waited long for our drinks. One room here has a small stage and PA setup. We’ve never been here when they had entertainment. But they always have music on in the background for ambiance. Thanks Jade Fountain for capping off our week-long visit to Duluth. See you next time.
Jim B — Google review
Weird and wonderful. Delicious cocktail called 'No Fun' did not live up to its name.
Sarah O — Google review
Everyone was great! The bar tenders are awesome and the music is awesome! It can be really overwhelming without a friend though and the place is rather small so it can be a lot for someone who prefers having larger spaces- but I enjoy it. The lighting is so pretty and fun.

Jade Fountain is a Duluth gem. Awesome cocktails, super cool feel, and wonderful service. We arrived shortly after they opened and just one other couple was in the bar. The owner was the sole employee at the time and went out of his way to serve us. We chatted about the cocktail lounge and life. All of the drinks were delicious and unique. Throughout our weekend we found ourselves back at Jade Fountain three times and worked our way through everything on the menu, revisiting some of our favorites along the way. They do a great job of combining interesting flavors and spins on well-known, without going over the top. Expertly made, with enough variety to always find something new. The decor is truly amazing. As one might guess from the name, this cocktail lounge is in a former Chinese restaurant. The feel is certainly there but the walls are also filled with wonderful and weird. There's so much to look at and explore. The space is huge. Three large rooms allow for plenty of spirit sipping spaces. The bar area and lounge, a chill middle section with seating comfortable chairs, and an area with a pingpong table towards the bathrooms. There'll be no shortage of conversation as your eyes constantly find new things wandering the walls. Jade Fountain Cocktail Lounge is an absolutely awesome spot to stop. Wonderful drinks, great people, and cool decor, they'll certainly be a spot we go to every visit to Duluth.
Ben B — Google review
It has a very unique and interesting decor. The bartender, Alex was a cool dude and knew his drinks well. The menu is pretty small but I'm sure they'd do all the classics in addition to the menu. I've been there several times and the vibes are always good

The North Shore Scenic Railroad in Duluth offers seasonal narrated train tours along a historic transport corridor, providing short, long, and themed rides. Operating from April to October, the railroad departs from the Duluth Union Depot and offers audio guides that explain the city's history and landmarks. Passengers can enjoy stunning views of Lake Superior, the woods, and downtown Duluth while traveling in style.
Great time on the train and at the museum! My wife loves trains and really enjoyed this experience. We got to chat with the conductor, who was kind, informative, and easy to speak to. The other staff on the train and at the museum were great too. It was easy to walk around on the train and see the fall colours/landscapes/lake. Definitely recommend

My husband and I did the Two Harbors Turnabout ride this week. It’s a relaxing and informative time. You get about 2 hours in Two Harbors for lunch and walking around. It’s plenty of time. My rating is mostly based in the disappointing views from the train. The pictures and descriptions led me to believe the views of the lake would be better. You pretty much see the lake in Duluth and then in Two Harbors. There are brief glimpses in other places but you mostly see trees.

This was our 2nd year going on the "Pumpkin Ride". It was so awesome. It was a beauitful day, fantastic service! Everyone was over the top helpful! We will be making this an annual event. The museum events were amazing, my grand kids absolutely love this annual trip. We highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this train ride. Everyone was super nice. The views were so beautiful. It was very informative and super relaxing..It was pretty full of people the day we went. We had never been on this train before. I told my friends they gotta come and check it out. Its totally worth it. It was nice sitting on one side of the train one way and trading with a couple so they could see the side we were on which had the water views and we got to see the land views with the trees and houses for the way back. The trip to duluth from the twin cities was incredibly beautiful and cinematic with all the fall colors in full swing. It was the best day trip! We went on Oct. 18th. I includes a few videos of the sunset and the fall colors as well as a lake near duluth.

Pumpkin Train was fun and the kids loved moving about the train and the views from dome car were amazing. The tickets said snacks and drinks included but we only received one drink and no snacks (we had to buy them). I was disappointed in that only. Also, note that you stop at a yard with pumpkins set out - you don't actually stop at a pumpkin patch. All in all fun but would suggest NSSR to fix their wording or elaborate on services provided for dome car. I felt like $55/seat was a little expensive for a can of pop or alcohol beverage, 1 pumpkin and the short ride.

Took the 16mile Northwoods Train Ride- appx 2.5 hrs. Very enjoyable! The weather was fantastic for Oct 26th 2025 a Sunday. Train staff were friendly. Soda, Beer, candy and chips available for purchase with our general ride ticket.

The Pizza Train is a fun experience for young and old alike. We brought our grandkids, ages 3 to 14, bonus fun to spend time prior to boarding the train in museum! Thank you North Shore Scenic Railroad! We will do this again in the future.

This is a Minnesota Bucket List event. I went on the Pizza Ride and haven’t had this much fun in along time. This ride is very kid friendly. I stood in the train car that had the bar and open doors on it. The scenic part isn’t as good as the train ride itself, but there was some good stuff there. Spoiled with a nice warm cookie near the end of the ride tops off this little pizza ride gem, I highly recommend this. Enjoy…

Tex-Mex restaurant
Little Angie's Cantina and Grill is a vibrant Tex-Mex restaurant located in the heart of Canal Park. Its festive space is adorned with Southwestern artifacts and features a wall of tequilas, creating a lively atmosphere. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining, with its huge outdoor patio being a signature feature with brightly-colored furniture. Little Angie's menu includes delicious Tex-Mex classics such as fajitas, tacos, burritos, and enchiladas.
We visited Little Angie’s on a lovely summer afternoon. There was plentiful outdoor seating with lots of space and every table had its own umbrella. We started our meal with their house made margaritas… a Coronita for Jeff and a Mango Boba Margarita for me! Both were fabulous, and each had a special touch. For lunch, I chose their fajitas (half veggie, half chicken). They come out sizzling on a cast iron skillet and are finished with a truly unique seasoned vinegar that makes the whole experience stand out. Jeffy had their Street Tacos which were fun, refreshing and full of flavor… and they came with a side of grilled zucchini, which was a special touch of summer. Our meal concluded with the arrival of an ocean freighter through Canal Park, and from our spot on the deck we could see the Lift Bridge do its thing and the top of the ship sail through. The entire experience was relaxed and refreshing - the perfect Duluth experience!
Dana T — Google review
I really appreciate the great environment and service. Regarding the food, I noticed a few areas for potential enhancement. The flavors leaned heavily towards sweet rather than savory, and the beans were quite watery. Perhaps adjusting the seasoning and thickening the bean preparation could help. The burritos could also benefit from a more robust flavor profile. Overall, with a few tweaks, the food could match the high quality of the environment and service
Lillian F — Google review
Environment is good, food sucks, and overpriced for the quality. You gotta have all three align to succeed in the food business. Very very disappointing to spend $130 on a family of 4 for the poor food quality. Not authentic even to the slightest. It’s like my gringo grandma lost her memory and grabbed canned beans, cub foods stale flour tortillas, big box store tortillas chips and attempted to achieve a Mexican meal. She failed and this restaurant failed so badly. Photos to see what I’m talking about. Never again.
John M — Google review
Food was great! The Siraacha was a bit spicy but very yummy enchiladas! 10 out of 10! The drinks were amazing and margaritas are 1/2 off on Tuesdays after 9pm!

Fast service, open late, and overall good food. The longhorn burrito, queso and carnitas nachos were off the chain! The Santa Fe wrap was flavorless and the poblano rice was mashed and not that great. It may because we were in 30 min prior to the kitchen closing but I wouldn’t order it again. Love the music and the service.
ASHLEY Q — Google review
Amazing food. Best Mexican chimichangas I’ve ever had. Kid nachos was huge. Fries were world class and the seafood burrito was divine. Our waiter Sam gave us the best service. This is a must stop!!! Very family friendly.
Rochelle R — Google review
This is cool looking restaurant with friendly staff, albeit it was a slow start to order. The food is good at a fair price, but not the best Mexican I've had. I think it was just my choice and would go there again.
Verlyn S — Google review
This place looks really cool and smelt so good from the street. We were not overly impressed with our food. It is Americanized Mexican food. The fajitas were very watery and the rice and beans had an interesting flavor to them, not great but also not terrible, in my opinion. The service on the other hand, was phenomenal! Chase communicated with us very well and it appeared the other staff wanted to do what they could to help. They all paid great attention to us and seemed like they are a great team!

This is a local gem! The food is over-the-top delicious. In fact, my guest, who has eaten all over the world, said that the Maple Glazed Salmon Risotto made his top 5 best meals ever. My gnocchi with basil pesto was exceptional. You can't get better food or views anywhere else. Tom was an excellent server as well. Thank you for an amazing meal and service!
Lindsey R — Google review
The food was delicious and the service good. The view is usually spectacular. I would have given 5 stars, but the last two times we've gone they've been out of the gnocchi, which is what I planned to order. I would highly recommend the gnocchi and beef tips (if you're lucky), or sub for the shells with San Marzano sauce and beef tips (close second). My husband loves the carbonera. Will be back, but will probably call head, even with reservations. Fingers crossed I can get the Gnocchi the next time we go!

10/10 highly recommend. The BEST Italian I’ve ever had except for the food I ate while traveling in Italy. Absolutely delicious food, great service, and stunning views. Don’t forget a scoop of gelato to go. I would go out of my way to eat here again and again! Be sure to plan your visit in advance, a reservation is likely needed - especially if you want to sit in the lofted area overlooking Lake Superior.

We were recommended by several people in Duluth to try Va Bene, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. To start, the host could have been more attentive. I understand they were very busy and I appreciated being seated as a walk-in, but when I arrived, I stood waiting for a couple of minutes. Another customer came in after me, and the host helped her first before finally noticing me. We were seated at The Grotto, the downstairs patio overlooking the lake, and were told we could only stay for about an hour. For drinks, we ordered a black coffee, which was warm and not good, and a Purple Rain (lemonade with lavender syrup), which was average. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive. We ordered the Pasta Alla Zucca Violina (butternut squash with creamy pecan sauce) and the Spicy Erbe with sausage. The sausage was the only ingredient we enjoyed. The squash pasta was undercooked—far too hard, leaving my jaw tired from chewing—and the sauce was overly sweet. The Spicy Erbe was okay, but again the pasta was chewy, which ruined the dish overall. In short, it was one of the worst Italian meals I’ve had, and though the view was nice, the food and service did not live up to the recommendations.
Maeve D — Google review
My husband and I were visiting Duluth for some downtime together after me having multiple surgeries over the course of 5 weeks. We did not make reservations but they were more than willing to accommodate us for lunch. We got to sit out on their little closed in patio and look out over the lake. The food was freshly made, hot and delicious. Our waiter was top notch and was very attentive while we were there. It's in a good location and we will definitely visit again when we come back.
Jami T — Google review
Va Bene has a beautiful lakeside setting and a menu with both hits and misses. The burrata with tomatoes, pesto, and focaccia was excellent, the pesto especially stood out. The Noce e Pera pasta with candied pear, walnuts, and gorgonzola sauce was also delicious and well-balanced. The meatballs, however, were disappointing…small, dry, and lacking flavor. The Preferito della Casa pasta was also underwhelming, with chewy chicken, overcooked noodles, and a balsamic sauce that overpowered the dish. Service was a little slow but staff were pleasant, but overall the food felt inconsistent.

For the pizza we had a Large "The Bear" meat lovers style. Might have liked a little more crispness to the crust... But all together it was good. Not heavy on sauce and a hand tossed light airy crust. Lasagna was fantastic. I would come back for this next time personally. Delicious red sauce with a great little bit of spice. Also did a Gouda Mac n cheese to go. It seized up after cooling so didn't hit as well, so not going to rate based on that. Large Pizza was $31 but other items were in the $10 to $15 dollar range. Will definitely go back if traveling through again.

It was all really good. Only complaint I have is when I order an appetizer it should come out before your meal not with your meal. But our waitress was extremely nice and friendly, and yes everything we ordered was a hit with all off us.

The food was ok. The bruschetta appetizer had no cheese and they did not give us enough bread. The stuffed shells were delicious but the portion was a bit small. The sandwich and salad bowl were also decent. Service was ok and the wait wasn’t too long even though the restaurant was busy. Atmosphere was good and the table was clean.

Really good classical ambience, reminds me of some old school steak houses I've been to in Wyoming that have been around for generations. Service was friendly. Food was spectacular. One of the best calamari I've ever had. We went with the ribeye and some potatoes, you rarely see twice baked potatoes on the menu but theirs was delicious. Little pricey but you get what you pay for in quality. The red velvet cake was delicious as well. Had to get some dessert to top off the meal even though we were both full.

We dined early (4:30) to avoid the crowds and it was worth it. We sat at the bar for a cocktail before being seated and the chef was there on a break. We got a chance to chat with him and the bartender about the restaurants history. The drinks were excellent with a good pour. Our server, Marcus, was excellent. He was very attentive and a fun guy to chat with. Something you don’t get unless you dine early. The food was impeccable. I had the prime rib which is finished on a charcoal grill. Probably one of the best tasting primes I’ve ever had. There were also two filets and a ribeye served at our table and all were fantastic. Even the sides were cooked to perfection and very flavorful.

Parking is a bit tight on the weekends. Dinning area is aright for a place like Duluth. Not premium but at least it’s clean. Food from the grill was great. We got the 8oz fillet steak and jack Daniel’s pork chop. The steak was very good. It had a crispy layer of saltiness on it. The chop was sweet which I’m guessing was from the jack Daniel. It’s a regular chop not a rib chop. The steak was good for the cut, it’s not a fillet mignon so don’t expect that flavor but it still had a good steak flavor and was tender. Comes with your choice of side which ranged from fires to baked potatoes. Also comes with a side of steamed zucchini. All in all the food was great our server, Reba, was excellent she recommended the moscato wine which was to my taste as I like sweet whites. I do recommend making reservations as it speeds up the seating process. We were seated immediately. It really is easy to make reservations online so do that.

We really enjoyed this museum. Absolutely worth the stop. Once you enter the front look at displays on main level3, then down the stairs to 2nd level, then you go down another set of stairs to the base floor and the museum. Amazing atmosphere, great food, great service, reasonable prices! What more can you ask! We went there for breakfast on a Saturday morning and there was like a 5 min wait for the patio (we had a dog with us). The service was awesome! And the food was just as good! I got the pancake and my wife got the eggs florantine( I think) and it was just what we were looking for!

Visiting Duluth, eat like a local here. It’s locally owned, an eclectic atmosphere with outstanding service and food. The homemade cherry Danish was flaky and buttery. Two of us shared the Cowboy Hash. It was flavorful with tender chunks of brisket with a delightful Harissa sauce. So good! You will love it here.
Suzanne D — Google review
Cowboy hash was delicious. The brisket in it was awesome, I only wish the eggs were less hard. The bread and jam really were a surprising treat too. We did have to wait about 20 minutes but you can order a coffee while you wait or sit at the bar or outside. I love the ambience - the bookshelves and big cozy booths especially. The Bloody Mary came with a good bent paddle chaser although there was no cheese/meat on the skewer (you could pay a whopping three extra dollars for a single slice of bacon added). The prices were the real downside here. At least on the breakfast front it seemed like a comparable restaurant would charge a few bucks less for a similar dish.

Probably my favorite breakfast in Duluth. Very fun options with all locally sourced ingredients. It's always pretty busy, but they keep things moving really well. The biscuit and berries is incredible. If you like a biscuit please get it. The Benedict with the wild rice sausage patties is one of the best breakfasts you can have. Service is always really good and quick. Come here if you have the chance!

Cozy space with a view from the patio down to the lake. Came for a late weekday lunch with hopes of enjoying breakfast and coffee. Enjoyed the Cowboy Hash with a Honey Bee Latte. Finished off with a brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Felt like elevated comfort food - lovely, relaxed meal on a quiet patio. Kelly was attentive and engaged as a server. Inside, I loved the wrap around bookshelves offering used books, what a fun idea for the space. Would definitely return for breakfast or lunch!

What a true farm to table restaurant with a unique and cozy atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of variety and options as well as drinks. I tried their curry which was my favorite, my boyfriend tried Korean barbecue chicken sandwich with their truffle fries. For our dessert we had their peanut butter mocha which was delicious.

Phenomenal food. I had the chicken curry and my wife had the bison and wild rice polenta. Both dishes were gluten free. Great list of coffee and teas. The wine pairings were spot on. Cannot wait to go back again.

Leif Erikson Park is a serene and picturesque park located along the Lakewalk in Duluth. It boasts colorful flower beds, fountains, statues, and gazebos, making it a perfect place for leisurely strolls. The park is home to Duluth's Rose Garden and features a small stage for events. Visitors can also find a splendid sculpture of Leif Erickson and a replica of his ship on the premises.
What a great park near the lake, built mostly above the highway. A nice trail that leads you to more trails down by the train tracks and along the lake. Sadly the rose bushes weren’t in bloom as I can only imagine how much more beautiful the park would be. Stop by here to stretch your legs or have a picnic!
Denai C — Google review
This is a really awesome stop. There is lake access, a train track overlook, and a beautiful rose park/ garden. I would give all 5 stars, but sadly the amount of old booze bottles, trash, and a few needles on the beach pulled it down. I would still absolutely recommend stopping here, just be careful where you step and what you touch.
Maggie M — Google review
Lovely park!! Great view of the lake and the garden is very pretty. The garden is mostly roses but there is a mini peony garden. Lots of walking paths and a beautiful fountain.

I love the walking trails. All of the beautiful rose bushes and trimmed shrubs. The lake views. The water fountain. The bridge that connects to Canel Park. Restroom near Parking Lot. Free Parking.

Leaf Erikson Park is right on Lake Superior just up the boardwalk from canal park. There is a beach that can be accessed through the park as well as a nice flower garden on the north end of the park. It has good views of Lake Superior and the Lift Bridge

Great spot to walk, gather, enjoy nature, and experience Duluth. The paths that go down to the shoreline are abundant and adventurous. The homeless population is high in Duluth. So be careful down here as you adventure. Needles are unfortunately a constant hazard.

Spirit Mountain Recreation Area, nestled in Duluth, Minnesota, is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. It offers a wide range of activities throughout the year, from wintertime downhill skiing to summertime adventure park fun. The area boasts an impressive 700-foot vertical drop and features eight lifts, including a high-speed quad, as well as 22 runs and two terrain parks spread across nearly 200 acres.
Incredible bike trails, wow! I'm so impressed with the place. Thanks for having some pedal up options, and the new blue climb trail (name TBD) and beam me up Scotty blue flow trail down (rides more like a light blue/dark green especially in comparison to everything in the actual bike park rating scale) are amazing! Kuddos to the trail builders and the business, keep it up 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Our kids were 5 and 3 when we visited last fall. We didn't know for sure what to expect so only bought the minimum to try out the coaster. Our kids LOVED it so much I wish I had planned some extra time here. When we go back in the future the all day pass will be so worth it!
Briana L — Google review
Not worth the money. Paid for the unlimited ride package (4x $50) and didn’t get to ride more than once on each ride. Lines are ridiculous! Over 1 hour per ride. Waited less time for a Disney ride. If they can’t handle the business they should limit the amount of people can visit each day! Money and time wasted!
Ramze R — Google review
Spirit Mountain is irresponsible for overselling adventure passes and single tickets for Friday October 17th. Wait time for the Alpine Coaster 2.5 hrs and the zip line 1.5 hour plus. Terrible customer experience and will not visit again during this time of year. Spent $200 for nothing. Save your money and time. Ridiculous.
Matthew D — Google review
went just to wait in line for an hour, then the ride closes for an emergency, then told to wait in the 2 hour alpine coaster ride before close, then wait another 45 minutes in line to get a refund. I feel for the employees, but going just to wait in line for 2 hours and get nothing out of it sucks. wouldn’t recommend going on a saturday, or getting tickets in advance.
Kelsey M — Google review
If you buy tickets online it's cheaper. 10 for $100. We also got free mini golf. We did the alpine coasters over and over. I am plus size and I fit in just fine with no safety issues. I was also able to do the zip line

Skied there every weekend while I was in the Air Force during the winter, 1976 through 1980. The winter passes were extremely affordable and we got a military discount. Absolutely fantastic time in the views are amazing!!! Those memories will last a lifetime!

Waited in line for the coaster for 3 hours and then when we got to the front they closed the ride due to a malfunction that lead to a medical emergency. Then they wanted us to wait in the refund line. I would not recommend coming unless you want to waste your time.

Silos Restaurant at Pier B is a contemporary tavern that perfectly captures the essence of waterfront dining in Duluth. With its inviting bar area and eclectic American menu, it offers a delightful culinary experience complemented by stunning harbor views from the deck. Guests can indulge in mouthwatering dishes like the Mushroom Swiss Burger, featuring grilled mushrooms and creamy cheeses, or savor the Parmesan Herb Walleye, renowned for its crispy panko crust and zesty lemon caper aioli.
We stopped on our way up and back from a trip to superior. This was such a convenient place to stop and the food and view did not disappoint. I had the chicory and chickpea salad with grilled salmon on it. It was divine! My husband had the wagu sliders and he loved them. When we came back he tried the breakfast tacos and I had the smoked salmon arugula sandwich which I asked for an egg on. It was all amazing! I highly recommend this place.
Beth-Alison B — Google review
Relaxed atmosphere with a nice view of the harbor. Friendly and attentive staff. Super delicious food! Highly recommend the fried cheese curds! Definitely making this part of my Duluth stops. Along with the cheese curds, I ordered the Norwegian Salmon, with wild rice and onion rings.
M S — Google review
My wife, some friends, and I made a trip up to the Duluth area to enjoy a few activities, and after a long day we were ready to grab something to eat. We came across Silos and figured it looked like a great spot to try. Parking wasn't terrible, but since the lot is shared by several nearby businesses, it was tough to find a good spot on a weekend. Once we parked and walked in, we were seated fairly quickly, which was a plus. That said, it did take a while before our server even acknowledged us. By the time he came over, we had been sitting for quite a bit, so we went ahead and ordered everything right away. My wife and I ordered the walleye cakes and a few drinks. When the drinks came out, my wife's Diet Pepsi was missing, so I had to ask our server to get it. For dinner, I ordered the Norwegian salmon with lemon pepper green beans and garlic mashed potatoes which was a wonderful combination. My wife had the seafood pasta, but it wasn't quite what the menu described. Not sure if there was a new chef or if something changed in the kitchen. Overall, it wasn't a bad first visit. There were some bumps, but the location is great--right off Lake Superior with outdoor seating and a beautiful view. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, the menu has solid options, and when the food is prepared right, it's full of flavor. The drinks were also really good, even the virgin margarita was a smash hit. A few things could definitely be improved: service felt slow even though it wasn't very busy, and there wasn't any welcome or smiles when we arrived, just kind of routine. Parking can be tough, and if you have mobility issues, even the short walk from out front could be a bit much. That said, we're open to giving it another try. There are other items on the menu we're curious to try, and we visit Duluth at least once or twice a year so hopefully next time, the service will step up and this place can become one of our go-to spots.
M G — Google review
Delicious!! The walleye cakes are so flavorful and light. We really enjoyed the sauce on the cakes paired with the dill cabbage. The cheese curds are out of this world with the jalepeno raspberry jam! So good. For main meals we had the brisket grilled cheese and the wagu beef steak sandwich. We both liked the brisket grilled cheese more. Great service and views.
ASHLEY Q — Google review
Great atmosphere for sure...food was good but not superior to the steak I make at home. I was impressed by the vegetable selection and the perfection in the taste and tenderness of those items. The cocktail menu was massive in various selections. I enjoyed the THC Cosmopolitan very much.
Roberta B — Google review
I came here over the weekend, I really enjoyed myself. My wife and I sat out on the patio and shared a bacon cheeseburger and walleye cakes. I couldn’t get a picture of the walleye we ate it kinda fast they were so delicious. It came with a tasty aioli sauce and some green and pickled cabbage. The fries were so crispy and flavorful. The bacon on the burger could have been done more and separately then assembled to keep that integrity of the flavor to complete the burger. But it was still good. The waitress was really nice and attentive, made sure my burger was cook right, I really appreciated that!
Andrew D — Google review
The atmosphere is super neat being on the lake and we were super excited for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Our server was polite, but he only came to our table three times. Once when we sat down to take our drink order, second time to deliver drinks and our appetizer, and then once to deliver our meal. Never stopped to ask how the food was, never asked if we wanted another drink or a refill. My seafood pasta was dry and tasted like pizza sauce was just dumped on top. It was supposed to have shrimp and there were zero shrimp. My date ordered a salad with his meal and it never came. I feel like we were totally forgotten about at our table. There were three other tables being served/bussed in our part of the restaurant. All three tables were served and cashed out meanwhile we were still sitting with empty water glasses and waiting 30+ minutes for our check after we finished our meals. For my partner's birthday we were going to order dessert but it was not worth waiting another hour for that. I had high hopes but left incredibly disappointed!
Kara K — Google review
Great atmosphere. We had reservations but got here early so decided to just eat at the lounge area. Service was great and all our food was already packed as you go container so we were able to take it back to our room. One dish was the meatloaf with fries and garlic green beans. Another was the $60 filet mignon with mash potatoes and wild rice. All sides were great except I wished the green beans had been cooked just a tad bit longer and better attention to removing the ends. The meatloaf was good. Although, I wished it had a richer meat taste, it was still very good. The filet mignon was a bit disappointing in flavor. It just didn’t have what I would usually expect from this cut. It was tender and the cut itself was good but the flavor was missing. The wild rice soup was also very good, but missing the seasoning that pushes it into the top level. Personally I like mine with a bit more seasoning (poultry seasoning does wonders) and refined with some white wine. But it was smooth in creaminess and fat content. So still a good soup.

What a great place to take the family. There is so much to see and experience. There are concert venues that take place here. Make sure to read the requirements for what you should bring and avoid bringing to the park. The views are stunning. I would assume it's dog-friendly. However, I only saw one person with a dog. Check out the lake view and the cruise ships taking off.

What a fantastic location for PRIDE! We came from out of town and found it easy to navigate, with plenty of parking and incredibly friendly people everywhere. I felt safe in the park and really enjoyed the shows at the amphitheater. My only suggestion would be to bring your own seating - it was a long, beautiful day (and got hot in the sun!), and benches or large rocks fill up quickly.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bayfront Festival Park is the ideal place to soak up waterfront culture. Whether it’s watching boats drift by, catching a community concert, or gathering with friends by the shore, this park pulses with summer life and local pride. Clean, welcoming, and full of friendly faces—I always recommend it to clients or visitors looking for genuine Duluth vibes. Wow this place was wonderful. I was really impressed, the waitress, Terri, was super friendly and the food was so delicious. Real down-home American food joint. I had the hot roast beef sandwich and my wife had the hot turkey sandwich followed by a slice of blueberry pie, homemade for only $2.50! Wow! There's a lot of down home charm in this restaurant if you are in Duluth or Superior you definitely got to check this place out.

Haven't not been here in a long time, so I wanted to try it again. But after last night's to go order, I would not recommend this to anyone. It was awful food. We ate it only because we were hungry and I was already home. It's my fault for not checking the to-go boxes before I left. I had been a line cook and sous chef and various restaurants in this area, and I would have never served the food this cook served. Ordered the chicken tender basket and the fish basket and an order of onion rings, and the only thing that wa decent was the onion rings, but they were not overcooked and were super cold. The tenders were super small and dried out and hard. French Fries were barely cooked soggy. The fish for the fish basket was overcooked and burnt and tasteless. I can not believe that the cook would cook any of this food like they did!

Old school bar and restaurant. Honestly, the food is so reasonably priced there are no complaints. The specials are always good, portions are clean your plate and leave satisfied size. Box mashed potatoes aside, I will continue to enjoy the food here!

I was extremely disappointed. I was looking forward to good prime rib. When we (group of 10) got there, we were told that there are 6 pieces of prime rib left. I was lucky enough to get one. I ordered it medium rare. When it arrived, it was well done, dry, tasteless. I ate 3 (terrible)bites. When I said something, waitress explained that she told us they were down to the last few pieces. I told her that she could have told me there were no medium rare pieces left. I paid for good food, and my dog loved it.

We order online from doordash. My significant other ordered the fish and fries. The fish she received was burnt to a crisp. 2/7/2025 food was cooked around 11:45am. That food should never have made it to a customer.

I've been coming to Duluth for 30+ years and never had a burger this good. Husband had the Blue Cheeseburger and I had a bacon cheeseburger. This is the perfect spot for diner style quality food for the price of a local watering hole. The staff is kind and welcoming, without being fake or overbearing. They have everything from steak and eggs for breakfast to fish and chips for dinner. I ordered the house salad and it was huge and freshly chopped to order. I also got the fish and the tarter was perfect. The drinks were not weak, and they made well. When things get back to normal, they have a great kareoke night on the weekend. They also had fx on durring lunch so I could watch a movie while I ate.

With its soft sands, beautiful scenery, and proximity to the city, it's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.
It is a great family favorite. It is a nice free beach with restrooms and lifeguards. There is a large free parking lot and a small park too. We love to come here with the kids. It is possible to walk the entire beach. But don't have too many plans. It takes about 3 hours walk one way.

This is a great area to walk on in long beach. There are also paved trails to walk. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. But it was extremely dirty! In addition, you can tell that they do not keep up the park. The paved paths were overgrown with weeds. It was disappointing that the city doesn't take more pride in such a beautiful area.

Rated one of the best beaches in the country for a reason. With beautiful soft sand and excellent views of the lake, this beach is a must visit year-round.
Katie S — Google review
A bit crowded but overall nice. It would be good if there was a better place to change than the few restroom stalls as we had not considered that before coming. Still good to have that and a shower to wash off at even though that also seems quite small compared to the size and busyness of the beach. Still, at least it is all free!

Blacklist Brewing Co., formerly known as Blacklist Artisan Ales, is a popular brewery located in downtown Duluth. Initially offering Belgian-inspired brews, the brewery has expanded its selection over time. The taproom provides a vibrant experience with games, trivia, music, and event hosting. Situated near NorShor and Zinema theaters, it contributes to the arts district's unique atmosphere.
Nice brewery with a wide variety of beers and an axe throwing room.
Frank V — Google review
We wandered into Blacklist on July 26, 15 minutes before closing, dreaming of one last refreshing pint to cap off our evening. Nothing fancy. Just one beer. You’d think we asked the bartender to brew it from scratch using hops he had to forage from the forest. Instead, we were met with an eye roll and a firm (and weirdly proud) declaration that he “wasn’t serving beer because they were closing soon.” Ah yes — the old “we’re open, but not that open” policy. It’s like a restaurant locking the door but leaving the lights on just to taunt you. Look, we’re not monsters. We didn’t expect a tasting flight, a guided tour, or a dramatic reading of the brewing process. Just a quick beer and maybe 10 minutes of civilized existence. Instead, we got shooed off like raccoons digging through trash cans after dark. If you enjoy being made to feel like an inconvenience for supporting a local business, this place might be right up your alley. As for us, we’ll grab our “too-late-for-a-beer” vibes elsewhere. Preferably somewhere that closes when it closes — not when the bartender emotionally checks out.
P G — Google review
Very cool brewery in downtown Duluth. The owners and their dogs were all friendly. They have a modern vibe, live music, tons of space, with more seating in the back. They had 16 beers on for my stop including: a hefe, blonde, pepper, dill, wild berry tart, blood orange pineapple mango, peach sour, a Belgian strong, cranberry Belgian strong, a pale ale, hazy IPA, NEIPA, West coast IPA, and a Imperial Stout. I liked the Belgian and the stout. I am sure I will stop back again to try more.

Well executed beers, in an urban loft vibe, with friendly service and decent prices for downtown Duluth. I personally don’t like all the dogs. I counted 5 while there including a poorly trained St. Bernard. Parking is also a bit of chore. However, if you staying downtown and like beer, this is a must stop. They do a great job with their fresh hazy IPA’s!

Great local spot for some micro brews. The online scheduling for axe throwing is very easy and very fun. The coaches are very nice and always willing to help. Great date night or group night activity.
Jay J — Google review
I enjoyed the ambience and the service. The beer was just ok. I had a flight that included the Pilsner, the Golden, the Dark and the Belgian Strong. The latter two were very good! The Golden and Pilsner were just ok. Don’t get me wrong, this is an awesome hang out.
Scott W — Google review
Excellent and friendly service. I felt the beer was unfortunately average at best. The Golden ale was the best beer out of the group. They do have axe throwing that you can rent out ($19/hour/person), which is pretty unique. The atmosphere is lively (and can get somewhat loud). Parking isn't the best (there is no lot, only paid on street parking and a ramp across the street). The ramp does offer one hour free parking, then it's $2 for another hour. They have a large seltzer offering, which is gluten free. They had more hoppy beers on tap than any other variety. They do have two stouts.

Tried Blacklist out and wasn't disappointed. Well decorated, clean, friendly and comfortable. The beers are homebrewed and delicious. I really enjoyed them. The bartender was super friendly and answered any questions we had and had a great sense of humor. One thing we noticed at the last moment (on our way out), was they have an axe throwing area. I seriously wish I'd seen that first, I've always wanted to try that. Great place to check out! Cheers!

Curly's Bar is a hidden gem that perfectly captures the essence of a classic dive bar. With its inviting atmosphere, you can enjoy a generous 32-ounce Hamms for just $3.75 or opt for a full pitcher at $7.50—ideal for sharing with friends! If beer isn't your thing, don't miss out on their delightful apple pie shots, available for only $3.
Old school dive in the middle of a rapidly gentrifying area. You never know what music is gonna be playing. I've heard 70s Country, White Zombie and mumble rap. Small pitchers of Hamms/ Old Style and High Life for under $3

Great local spot for reasonably priced drinks and a solid atmosphere. Drinks served in period accurate mason jars. The skeleton men really add to the vibe. Floor and tables aren’t sticky. Mens restroom stall doesn’t have a lock, but the two stalls in the women’s restroom do.

Lots of good friends here, reasonable prices, love me a dive bar once in a while! Alexis LOVES running karaoke and it often shows in her work, does her best and even updated their system to Karafun! One of my girlfriend and I’s favorite stops!

Friday nights are trash. Specifically because they are understaffed. I walked in, sitting in plain view of the bartender with wallet and card out ready to order. Took me 20 minutes to get my drink because the bartender took 5 people who walked up to the bar, who she knew them by name, before asking me. How has a single pint become $7?? Yes, a pint that is on tap cost $7 dollars here. You best come with a thick wallet if you'd like to spend a night here for your drinking fun

The staff cleaned up the blood of a woman nearly beaten to death. No compassion to call the police. No acknowledgment that this is someone’s child or parent. The inhumanness makes me believe that no call to the police makes it appear you are in agreement with a woman getting beaten like a grown man!!!

Our pool team comes here a couple times a year. It's warm and inviting, we have a great time. Since we are playing pool on the back side of the bar we don't get service or seen as often as we would like. The food from next door is great. A good solid place to hang out.

Decent place! Good for a few drinks, connected to Sammy's pizza for food. Lots of local regulars at the bar- swearing, bad jokes and having a good time. Bartender was nice enough to contact us that a member of our party left his debit card on the table! Bingo, meat raffle, pull tabs, poker.

Known for its live music events throughout the year, this spot truly comes alive on weekends.
This is literally the BEST bar we have ever found in the Duluth area! Not only is the staff friendly and fun but the local patrons are the best people you will ever meet. We showed up for a girls' weekend, got greeted by the friendliest dog, and were shown the best hospitality that we have experienced in a long time! The drinks are cheap and the pizzas are perfect. We can't wait to come back!!

Stopped in to get a beer and a pizza in the afternoon. 4 people in the place. Got a beer, ordered pizza and waited. After a long wait still had no pizza. Bartender was talking to couple at other end. Could smell something burning. Bartender pulled a black pizza out of the oven and said "oh I got busy talking." Got my money back and left. Not the place if you want food on the 1st try.

The Flame Nightclub Duluth stands out as the first and only LGBTQ+ bar in the area, making it a vibrant hub for nightlife enthusiasts. This casual venue features an energetic dance floor where guests can enjoy lively drag shows and themed events like karaoke and trivia nights. Whether you're part of the LGBTQ+ community or simply an ally, The Flame offers a welcoming atmosphere perfect for mingling with new friends while dancing to great music.
One of the best bars I've been to. Got it's own special chill and beauty for sure. Great deals, nice jukebox, lots of space, cool people. The bartenders and drag queens are THE BEST! <3 <3 <3
Elly C — Google review
Be careful: Flame is basically a straight bar with gay themes (e.g., rainbow flags). While the bar is one of the major hosts for Duluth Pride, the space attracts more college-aged people (UMD likely) rather than a local gay scene. While the atmosphere resembles a typical college bar, it is nonetheless accepting of all - gay and straight. The drinks are somewhat small, not too strong, and served in plastic cups. Excellent and friendly service.
Jacob F — Google review
The flame is a long-standing establishment in Duluth. That is a bar that caters to the lgbtq plus community but welcomes all. Their dance nights on Friday and Saturday are an absolute blast. If you are part of the community or an ally of the community, you will find nowhere safer than the flame in Duluth. The bartenders are talkative and friendly. The security is top notch and they have the smoking area out back. What more could you ask for? Obviously like most places downtown parking is atrocious but you're going to be having so much fun that you may as well call a cab.

So pretty much a straight bar with pride flags. Filled with college "bros" hitting on groups of loud straight girls who will, no matter what, somehow always get in your way. Dj only played top 10 songs from about a decade or longer ago, with the rare occasional newer song. Thrift shop, Sexy and I know it, Gangnam style, etc. All tired, burnt out music. Listen to the other reviews, don't come here on a Friday.

Additionally, it is home to the Duluth Art Institute and serves as a cultural center for various artistic organizations.

TrenchCowboy — Google review
The Depot is NOT what it used to be! With the Art Institute gone, the Children’s Museum gone, the art exhibits gone, The Duluth Playhouse gone. The stage in the great hall is walled off. All the character, uniqueness, art, and the community vibe is gone. Also the half moon wooden desk at the entryway is gone. It was a unique community building and now it’s been taken over by the county and everything has become somewhat uniform and dull. Hopefully they can bring back the artsy artistic creative colorful community vibe that used to exist. Good public bathrooms, very clean. There is a women and men’s bathroom on the main floor and then half the woman’s has been cordoned off for a gender neutral bathroom space. Train museum is still very cool. To access the train cars themselves you have to go up 2-3 steep steps or a small flight of wooden stairs. Just something to keep in mind if you have mobility concerns.

The Duluth Depot is an awesome and historic place to visit for locals and tourists. The summer months are great to visit especially when they have Thomas the Train during the month of August every year, and really cool during the Christmas holiday when they have the Christmas train leaving Fitgers and arriving at the Depot! Plus, the added bonus, the eerie bit awesome spirits that are in the Depot at night I believe as seen on "Ghost Hunters" on TV.

Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory in Duluth offers a serene hiking trail that spans almost 8 km, providing a peaceful escape with beautiful wildflowers, wooded paths, and scenic lookout points. The trails are marked with popular hawk-watching spots and informative signs to aid bird enthusiasts. Established in 1951, the non-profit organization is dedicated to protecting birds of prey and other migratory birds in the Western Lake Superior Region.
Hawk Ridge was an awesome experience! We saw several professional naturalists there on the raised platform watching the raptors, and counting them and at times banding them. The time you go is very important. The best time to see the birds is between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

I didn’t go in the season where you’d actually see birds but the view on the way up and on top was very nice either way and the location was super easy to find. Exquisite Views I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hawks Ridge Duluth, and I must say, it's an absolute gem for nature enthusiasts and bird lovers alike. The experience I had here was nothing short of extraordinary. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by the breathtaking beauty of Hawks Ridge. With its stunning views of Duluth and Lake Superior, it's impossible not to be captivated by the natural splendor of this place. The trails at Hawks Ridge Duluth well-maintained and clearly marked, they offer a variety of options. The trails wind through the forest on the hillside, and lead back to the scenic overlook where you can pause and take in the magnificent views. Now, let's talk about the main attraction at Hawks Ridge: the hawk migration. This place is a haven for birdwatchers, but what surprised me the most was how even non bird watchers can appreciate and enjoy this. The count board of birds is updated throughout the day. Whether you're an avid bird watcher or not, Hawks Ridge Duluth offers an unforgettable adventure. The combination of gorgeous views, great trails, and the incredible autumn hawk migration make it a must-visit destination for nature lovers. I can't recommend this place enough!

Additionally, it provides bar service for visitors to enjoy while playing. With its convenient location and multi-level layout offering free parking, this casino attracts numerous players daily.
I had a surprisingly good time here. It looks grungy on the outside but was clean and nice on the inside. The variety of slots was great including leprechaun, the mask, stinkin rich, magic lamp, and other favorites. The downside is drinks are not included. It’s a great way to spend a couple hours in the afternoon.

I like this tiny little casino! The staff are really friendly considering how cold it gets here sometimes! Dang that wind off the lake can be killer! There’s handicapped parking, entrance and door ways and an elevator to upstairs.
Obadiah B — Google review
It’s an ok casino, only slot machines. I feel like this place pays out much better than black bear. All the employees are friendly. They do pretty good with what they have. Those homeless people who stand outside and ask for change EVERY SINGLE TIME. I would say they are out there 9out of 10 times.
Aaron A — Google review
They have really made the place look nice but machines are very tight. The design of the new machines are such that one person hits but the 50 people that played prior can't get a line hit or a decent bonus. The casino is smoke free. I am OK with that. I can go outside to smoke. However; I went outside about 8 PM and there were about 9 or 10 homeless people lpotering. Did not feel safe. I think that is they are going to be smoke free they need to offer safe options for smokers. Until they do that, I won't be Beck. Their reasoning for smoke free is for the health and safety of staff and guests. Getting mugged or assaulted outside their casino will sure affect their safety ratings. Just sayin'....
Twyla R — Google review
I had a decent experience here. The casino was cleanly and the staff were friendly which was nice. There were a lot of homeless folk outside and the location isn’t great, especially after dark. Otherwise, no complaints.
Kris S — Google review
The experience here varies, some nights. It feels like it's the greatest place on Earth! Other nights. It feels like the staff just don't care. Accept the maintenance people, they're exceptionally, polite and friendly. Say hi to them because they're good people.
Anthony R — Google review
All 5 of our group had backpacks, security let 4 of us in and told the 5th that backpacks aren't allowed and to leave, separating our group, we lost our last group member who has autism for hours, this place is awful. no idea why 1 out of 5 backpacks aren't allowed.
Nicholas — Google review
The outside was crawling with homeless people wandering up and down the streets asking people like myself for some money. I think they were renovating the casino because there was scaffolding all on the front of the building. It's a very beautiful part of Duluth but the community seems over run with vagrants and hard drug users. I wouldn't recommend checking it out alone or at night time.

Would not come back. They have little stickers on each arcade game stating they sanitize before each shift. Great experience. Had my twins birthday party there today. The cost, options, and amenities provided are the best value of any other options we explored. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very helpful!Far above our overall expectations!! We will definitely be returning!!

We stopped in for a nice family day on Thursday. Me, wife and 2 kids. The main counter staff were super friendly and polite. Made it a warm welcome from the get go! The Kids Cove center was down all day which was a bummer but understandable. Things happen. Tons of games and lazertag was super fun! Only complain is the girl who was working the food counter. When we paid upon arrival, we got the bundle which came with a pizza and a pitcher. Asked us what time, we said 5. We went to the counter around 5, only to find out she hadn't a clue we even had an order in. The girl seemed very displeased she had to cook our pizza, then tried to give us a single cup of soda. We corrected her and told her we paid for a pitcher and you could literally sense her attitude. This is a fun FAMILY establishment. Mistakes happen, but don't get sassy and cop an attitude when we try to correct things. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Overall a good visit and we will stop in again!

Was great time and nice and calm for a Monday. Decent batting cages needs some updates but Decent prices!
Jesse K — Google review
We went in to give batting cages a try. The guy at the counter was very nice walking us through as it was our first time trying it out. And the price was great! The rest of the place looked like alot of fun!
Southern F — Google review
Great variety of video games and arcade style games. Good pizza. Bouncy house and slide. Climbing wall batting cages and Lazer tag. Also a mini golf course. Good spot for a birthday party. 3 stars because they wouldn't let my 7 year old in the bounce house with her little sister because she was 1/2 inch too tall. There were other kids in there obviously taller than her. One rude staff member on a power trip almost wrecked her birthday. Other staff was nice.

Amsoil Arena is a major entertainment venue located in Duluth, Minnesota. It is part of the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center and hosts various events including concerts and hockey games. The arena opened in 2010 and has since become a popular spot for sports enthusiasts and music lovers alike. Visitors can catch exciting Duluth Bulldogs hockey games at the arena, which is always bustling with action during home games. The venue offers great views from its seating areas, including accessible options for those with disabilities.
Saw Foreigner and Lita Ford there, it's a great venue. Not big enough to draw big name artists, but it fit this group of fans in just fine. The sound was very loud, like a proper rock concert. Too loud to talk, I had to switch to texting my mom who was right next to me 😂 the school choir they had join in to help promote the arts was very good too, I enjoyed seeing them all up there on stage with Foreigner.

The suite experience at the UMD hockey game was absolutely fantastic. It easily fit around 20 people, and every detail was handled perfectly. The food spread was excellent, the turkey sandwiches were a big hit with everyone, and there were plenty of snacks and drinks including popcorn, beer, wine, and pop. What really stood out was the level of service. The arena provided staff who checked in regularly to make sure everything ran smoothly, which made the whole night feel effortless and first class. The suite itself had a great layout with plenty of room to move around, relax, or sit comfortably when the game got exciting. The view was perfect, giving us a great angle of the ice and the atmosphere that makes UMD hockey so special. Between the energy in the arena, the comfort of the suite, and the incredible service, it was one of those experiences that you just don’t forget.

It was my first time at the arena to watch a Duluth men's hockey game. The great thing about the whole experience is that the seats are very vertically oriented so there's no bad view anywhere in the arena. I don't know what it was though, but being up in the concourse and walking around felt cramped and enclosed too much. If that's the only thing that I have to say is a downside, then this arena is doing pretty good!
Collin P — Google review
Took my 14yr old son to his first concert to see Redman & Method Man, my third time seeing them. The staff there was amazing and the arena was clean and intimate.
Nathan B — Google review
Pretty good venue, except everything is on the first level(including things like bathrooms)
AJ — Google review
Horrible parking, and the "security guards" were insanely rude and crabby. I was literally shived by one to get to my seat while I stood in the aisle waiting for people to stand and let me through. After the event ended we were yelled at to "hurry up get out" I didn't want to cause a scene but holy moly, train them to be customer service not bouncers.

Great place to watch a game !! Can’t wait to got back

Went for a friend's graduation. The College of Saint Scholastica has their ceremonies here. Is a small-ish arena but well laid out and well maintained. Its right next to the highway and has an attached parking garage. Right next to the lake as well. Excellent location. Staff was friendly and there is a bit of construction going on around the building.

The museum provides educational tours and lecture series to enhance visitors' learning experiences in various subjects such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, history, and art. With interactive educational exhibits and outreach programs to classrooms and community centers, the museum aims to impact thousands of children by supplementing their learning through unique programs.
Amazing museum is definitely worth going to and spending a couple of hours. Huge collection of paintings, sculpture and traditional native fabric art. Beautiful museum spaces. It is all free. The building is hard to find on campus due to lack of any noticable "Tweed Museum" signage, but plenty of parking in front of the Humanities Building. Look for signage for the "Humanities Building" and you are there.

We absolutely loved this museum. Beautiful space, inspiring exhibits, and friendly staff. We’ll be back!
Elizabeth C — Google review
Very quaint little on campus museum. I appreciated the by donation only admittance as I, myself, am a teacher. There were some neat printmaking processes here that I was not familiar with. I teach mostly drawing and ceramics so I enjoyed the pottery most, even though I am not widely knowledgeable about many of the firing techniques or processes. I learned a lot and enjoyed the leisurely time I had to wander and read about each artwork.
Terra H — Google review
Really enjoyed the arts by students and faculties. I love the live pianist, really added to the experience.
Tia U — Google review
Great gallery spaces at a scale that you can easily digest. Wonderful Native American representation. Top quality - second to none.
Wayne M — Google review
AJ was very friendly and welcoming. I greatly enjoyed the diversity of the artists and their work on display.
Adam O — Google review
Really cool place to check out if you are on or near UMD's campus. Some variety in the collection, and also often examples of students' work. It's cool that this is on campus, and it's easy to miss if you aren't looking for it.
Alastair K — Google review
I volunteered here for a semester. They have some great pieces (even some picaso sketches. The student art displays are amazing.
