Duluth Grill is a beloved restaurant in Duluth, MN, offering a warm and modern atmosphere with an extensive breakfast menu. The eatery provides locally sourced comfort food with an eclectic twist, such as a creamy Havarti omelet stuffed with house-smoked salmon. Known for its made-from-scratch dishes and fresh ingredients, the restaurant offers hearty options like the Billy Bob Burrito and Deluxe Biscuits & Gravy.
This is a must stop for great breakfast or lunch when near Duluth. It was very busy the day we went, but only a few minutes wait for a table. The servers are all attentive and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of gluten free options. The grits were amazing. The rusted brussel sprouts were great. Delicious thick cut bacon. My family thought the cinnamon roll French toast was the best ever! They have home made lemonade, custom coffee and tea drinks, smoothies, and brunch cocktails. We went at lunch time on a weekday, and it was rather loud. But the food is so good.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! My friends and I stopped here this morning on our way into Duluth and I’m so glad we did. The atmosphere was perfect, although it was super busy when we arrived , we were able to get seated fairly quickly! The cleanliness of the restaurant was a HUGE plus , each and every staff member/waiter was so welcoming! To top it off the food was incredible! The Barbacoa has was filled with so much flavor! Can’t say enough about it 🤍 also the farmers eggs was the perfect breakfast for my morning! 10 out of five stars! ⭐️ best part about it is breakfast and LUNCH served all day!! Plates were all beautifully presented!
Alishea C — Google review
Duluth Grill is a great place to grab some breakfast. They have a nice sized menu with takes on classics as well as some of their own special dishes. They even make most things on their menu from scratch even down things like their ketchup and lemonade. We tried quite a few things, and while the cinnamon roll was on the sweeter side it was still moist and fluffy. Everything else we have was very very fresh and not greasy at all. The main thing to note is the wait times. On average you may wait anywhere from 30mins to over an hour for a table depending on party size and where you want to sit. Definitely a must stop for anyone in Duluth looking for a good breakfast.
Ben R — Google review
The Duluth Grill was worth the 40 minute wait! I would definitely plan ahead if you want to eat her during peak hours. We had a party of five and we all had something different. Everybody raved about their food. Service was outstanding too! The standouts were the barbacoa hash and the brussel sprouts.
Jason C — Google review
While it’s quite busy on the weekends, it’s worth it. Great food with local Minnesota North woods flair. There is also a fantastic tea bar with specialty drinks. I return here whenever I’m in the area and I’ve never been disappointed. Great skillets, hash, and burritos (the Billy Bob is out of this world) for breakfast and brunch.
Cortney P — Google review
Lines are long but it is very easy to see why. The food is fantastic, easily the best chicken sandwich of my life. The server (Vera I think) was absolutely fantastic and was extremely careful with allergies. Cannot recommend enough!
Bethany H — Google review
The service was some of the best I've had. The food was delicious. I had the CU Tomago. It was a little difficult to eat but the flavors were amazing. I personally think the Korean brussel sprouts was the best part of the whole meal. I also ordered a Prickly Pear Lemonade-- very sweet and tangy refresher to go with your brunch!
Callie F — Google review
There is nothing better than Duluth Grill after a sunrise photography adventure! Today I had Chili con Huevo and a caramel roll (that I intended to bring home). If I am going to spend money on food at a restaurant it needs to be good. Today's food was perfection. Thank you for taking the time and care to make this experience perfect! See you again soon!

Va Bene is a vibrant Italian restaurant located on the shores of Lake Superior, offering a blend of indoor and outdoor dining experiences. The warm and lively atmosphere provides stunning views of the expansive lake from various vantage points within the restaurant. Guests can enjoy fresh, scratch-made Italian fare while taking in the breathtaking scenery. The enclosed solarium offers an exceptional setting to savor pasta dishes and creative salads while admiring the picturesque surroundings.
Our server Tom was one of the most personable professional server we have had in a long time. He did a great job helping us pick out a wine and was patient. Food was fantastic, we will make this our go to place when we visit.

This is a local gem! The food is over-the-top delicious. In fact, my guest, who has eaten all over the world, said that the Maple Glazed Salmon Risotto made his top 5 best meals ever. My gnocchi with basil pesto was exceptional. You can't get better food or views anywhere else. Tom was an excellent server as well. Thank you for an amazing meal and service!
Lindsey R — Google review
The food was delicious and the service good. The view is usually spectacular. I would have given 5 stars, but the last two times we've gone they've been out of the gnocchi, which is what I planned to order. I would highly recommend the gnocchi and beef tips (if you're lucky), or sub for the shells with San Marzano sauce and beef tips (close second). My husband loves the carbonera. Will be back, but will probably call head, even with reservations. Fingers crossed I can get the Gnocchi the next time we go!
Amanda K — Google review
10/10 highly recommend. The BEST Italian I’ve ever had except for the food I ate while traveling in Italy. Absolutely delicious food, great service, and stunning views. Don’t forget a scoop of gelato to go. I would go out of my way to eat here again and again! Be sure to plan your visit in advance, a reservation is likely needed - especially if you want to sit in the lofted area overlooking Lake Superior.

We were recommended by several people in Duluth to try Va Bene, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. To start, the host could have been more attentive. I understand they were very busy and I appreciated being seated as a walk-in, but when I arrived, I stood waiting for a couple of minutes. Another customer came in after me, and the host helped her first before finally noticing me. We were seated at The Grotto, the downstairs patio overlooking the lake, and were told we could only stay for about an hour. For drinks, we ordered a black coffee, which was warm and not good, and a Purple Rain (lemonade with lavender syrup), which was average. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive. We ordered the Pasta Alla Zucca Violina (butternut squash with creamy pecan sauce) and the Spicy Erbe with sausage. The sausage was the only ingredient we enjoyed. The squash pasta was undercooked—far too hard, leaving my jaw tired from chewing—and the sauce was overly sweet. The Spicy Erbe was okay, but again the pasta was chewy, which ruined the dish overall. In short, it was one of the worst Italian meals I’ve had, and though the view was nice, the food and service did not live up to the recommendations.
Maeve D — Google review
My husband and I were visiting Duluth for some downtime together after me having multiple surgeries over the course of 5 weeks. We did not make reservations but they were more than willing to accommodate us for lunch. We got to sit out on their little closed in patio and look out over the lake. The food was freshly made, hot and delicious. Our waiter was top notch and was very attentive while we were there. It's in a good location and we will definitely visit again when we come back.
Jami T — Google review
Va Bene has a beautiful lakeside setting and a menu with both hits and misses. The burrata with tomatoes, pesto, and focaccia was excellent, the pesto especially stood out. The Noce e Pera pasta with candied pear, walnuts, and gorgonzola sauce was also delicious and well-balanced. The meatballs, however, were disappointing…small, dry, and lacking flavor. The Preferito della Casa pasta was also underwhelming, with chewy chicken, overcooked noodles, and a balsamic sauce that overpowered the dish. Service was a little slow but staff were pleasant, but overall the food felt inconsistent.
Chloe — Google review
Va Bene is absolutely incredible!! Will was are server & he was on top of his game the hole time, food was amazing atmosphere incredible, we sat in the solarium amazing venue & the veiw was amazing looking over Lake Superior, we will be back, bring you empty tummy & fillip on the absolutely amazing food & drink.

Nestled in the charming port town of Duluth, Minnesota, Northern Waters Smokehaus is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the art of smoked fish and meats. This culinary gem boasts an impressive menu featuring over 25 gourmet sandwiches that highlight locally sourced ingredients.
This is a unique little sandwich shop that offers some amazing sandwiches. They specialize in smoked fish - but everything we had here was good. They have a ton of different sandwich options. After ordering, you'll probably have to wait 10 minutes or so, but it's worth the wait. They also have smoked fish and meats you can pick up in the cooler downstairs.
Greg E — Google review
The Cajan Finn is hands down my favorite fish sandwich! Wow was I blown away by flavors that are incorporated into this masterpiece. It’s worth the money. Friendly staff and short wait time. This sandwich leaves you satisfied.
Clarissa M — Google review
There is a line at all hours for a reason. The food is unreal and vibe is immaculate. Everyone who works there actually cares in some fashion about the place and the product. Pick something up from the deli or the merch wall before you go. Employees for the most part are the artists behind the many items for purchase. Get the Cajun Finn. And the hoodie. Perfection.
Kate — Google review
This is the second time we’ve eaten there, I don’t remember what kind of sandwich I had the first time, but it was absolutely fantastic. So this time I made a huge mistake, not remembering what I had before I ordered the gorilla, not wondering what kind of mustard they had on there. It was Dijon mustard, and that was the only thing I tasted. And it is not my favorite food. So the mistake was all mine. I thought my sandwich was awful, but my wife enjoyed hers. She even offered me part of hers. If the line wasn’t so long, I would’ve gone downstairs and ordered something different. Or maybe the same thing without the Dijon. Aside from that your food is really good, they even have a small deli next-door.
Nobox G — Google review
Food was amazing and decor was so cool with the fish on the walls. Not the easiest for handicap customers very confusing trying to get to bottom floor. Employee that was taking orders was unfriendly and not the most helpful for a first time customer. Seen this location all over TikTok that it was The Place to go. I had "The Big Dipper" had it with the porketta it was a great sandwich but the 3 Pepper Sauce was ICE cold which was a little disappointing I don't think its supposed to be served like that ... It would been a 10/10 with the sauce warm. With how high our lunch was my overall rating is 7.5/10.
Jesse K — Google review
Seriously tasty. I don’t know if I’ve had a more flavorful sandwich ever! Such a cool place, perfect amount of offerings. Everything they have is intentionally curated. Good luck trying to choose! Awesome location, although the parking situation isn’t great. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in Duluth!
Maeden J — Google review
Put in an order in advance (checked around noon - 1:30 and 1:30 were fully booked but managed to get a mid week 2 PM order in, it worked out since we were at Jay Cooke and by the time we drove into Duluth and enjoyed the lake walk area, our sandwiches were ready for us at the pickup counter, no wait). Delicious Cajun Finn - a perfect sandwich!! We also enjoyed the Italiansk though we found it to be actually more delicious the next day when the bread had softened with the oil and vinegar. The restaurant and market are in the basement of the building - head down the stairs and follow the clear arrow signage. There was a good amount of seating down there in addition to the outdoor tables.
N — Google review
Definitely a must stop when down in the canal center. Plenty of sandwiches to choose from and a few beers on tap and in cans. There's a counter in the back selling smoked meats and fish. Everything I got was so good!

The Pickwick Restaurant & Pub, a historic landmark in Duluth since 1914, offers a glimpse into the city's past while providing a delightful dining experience. Situated in the Canal Park area by Lake Superior, this establishment is renowned for its homemade soups and award-winning chargrilled steaks. The menu features traditional entrees such as steak, pasta, and salmon alongside homestyle pub favorites.
Really good classical ambience, reminds me of some old school steak houses I've been to in Wyoming that have been around for generations. Service was friendly. Food was spectacular. One of the best calamari I've ever had. We went with the ribeye and some potatoes, you rarely see twice baked potatoes on the menu but theirs was delicious. Little pricey but you get what you pay for in quality. The red velvet cake was delicious as well. Had to get some dessert to top off the meal even though we were both full.
Aaron K — Google review
We dined early (4:30) to avoid the crowds and it was worth it. We sat at the bar for a cocktail before being seated and the chef was there on a break. We got a chance to chat with him and the bartender about the restaurants history. The drinks were excellent with a good pour. Our server, Marcus, was excellent. He was very attentive and a fun guy to chat with. Something you don’t get unless you dine early. The food was impeccable. I had the prime rib which is finished on a charcoal grill. Probably one of the best tasting primes I’ve ever had. There were also two filets and a ribeye served at our table and all were fantastic. Even the sides were cooked to perfection and very flavorful.
Frank V — Google review
Parking is a bit tight on the weekends. Dinning area is aright for a place like Duluth. Not premium but at least it’s clean. Food from the grill was great. We got the 8oz fillet steak and jack Daniel’s pork chop. The steak was very good. It had a crispy layer of saltiness on it. The chop was sweet which I’m guessing was from the jack Daniel. It’s a regular chop not a rib chop. The steak was good for the cut, it’s not a fillet mignon so don’t expect that flavor but it still had a good steak flavor and was tender. Comes with your choice of side which ranged from fires to baked potatoes. Also comes with a side of steamed zucchini. All in all the food was great our server, Reba, was excellent she recommended the moscato wine which was to my taste as I like sweet whites. I do recommend making reservations as it speeds up the seating process. We were seated immediately. It really is easy to make reservations online so do that.
Pangmao H — Google review
The bar area brings you back to a different era. Servers are attentive and friendly. The smoked fish was spectacular while the deep fried pepper burger was unique and tasty especially paired with the onion rings. Great Duluth restaurant you should definitely check out.
Rob A — Google review
We absolutely loved this place. We got the filet steak and it was so juicy, charred on the outside. The bread was amazing too. Fresh with delicious butter. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful on suggestions on the menu and things to do in the area. We had a wonderful view over the lake as well. Salads were crisp and we absolutely loved the fries and the twice baked potatoes.
Beach T — Google review
We had a lovely meal. My burger was tasty and had a great char. The onion rings are really thick, and had a great onion flavor! My hubby got the filet and really enjoyed it.

Hands down my most favorite place to eat dinner in all of twin ports! Tidbit dinner is always delicious! Their twice baked potato is my favorite side. Their house made soups of the night was beef vegetable! Thank you Tyler and the rest of the staff for being so attentive and efficient. Much love!

This my favorite restaurant in Duluth as I love a classic supper club. The New York Strip was perfect and the Turtle Cheesescake was to die for. Any time I am nearby I make this a must go to stop.

Nestled in the port town of Duluth, Minnesota, At Sara's Table Chester Creek Cafe offers a farm-to-table menu with international influences in a charming setting. The cafe serves eclectic new American cuisine with options ranging from vegan granola for breakfast to Baileys Irish Cream frosted cupcakes for dessert.
The French toast was so good! The atmosphere was so cute on the cafe side! Light and airy and very cutesy. We were sat on the bar side and it was also cute just kind of a darker aesthetic! Our server was very nice and you could tell she loved her job! She was very insightful about menu items and helped some of my friends decide what to order!

Amazing atmosphere, great food, great service, reasonable prices! What more can you ask! We went there for breakfast on a Saturday morning and there was like a 5 min wait for the patio (we had a dog with us). The service was awesome! And the food was just as good! I got the pancake and my wife got the eggs florantine( I think) and it was just what we were looking for!

Visiting Duluth, eat like a local here. It’s locally owned, an eclectic atmosphere with outstanding service and food. The homemade cherry Danish was flaky and buttery. Two of us shared the Cowboy Hash. It was flavorful with tender chunks of brisket with a delightful Harissa sauce. So good! You will love it here.
Suzanne D — Google review
Cowboy hash was delicious. The brisket in it was awesome, I only wish the eggs were less hard. The bread and jam really were a surprising treat too. We did have to wait about 20 minutes but you can order a coffee while you wait or sit at the bar or outside. I love the ambience - the bookshelves and big cozy booths especially. The Bloody Mary came with a good bent paddle chaser although there was no cheese/meat on the skewer (you could pay a whopping three extra dollars for a single slice of bacon added). The prices were the real downside here. At least on the breakfast front it seemed like a comparable restaurant would charge a few bucks less for a similar dish.
Sydney K — Google review
Probably my favorite breakfast in Duluth. Very fun options with all locally sourced ingredients. It's always pretty busy, but they keep things moving really well. The biscuit and berries is incredible. If you like a biscuit please get it. The Benedict with the wild rice sausage patties is one of the best breakfasts you can have. Service is always really good and quick. Come here if you have the chance!
Ben G — Google review
Cozy space with a view from the patio down to the lake. Came for a late weekday lunch with hopes of enjoying breakfast and coffee. Enjoyed the Cowboy Hash with a Honey Bee Latte. Finished off with a brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Felt like elevated comfort food - lovely, relaxed meal on a quiet patio. Kelly was attentive and engaged as a server. Inside, I loved the wrap around bookshelves offering used books, what a fun idea for the space. Would definitely return for breakfast or lunch!

What a true farm to table restaurant with a unique and cozy atmosphere. The menu offers plenty of variety and options as well as drinks. I tried their curry which was my favorite, my boyfriend tried Korean barbecue chicken sandwich with their truffle fries. For our dessert we had their peanut butter mocha which was delicious.
Clarissa M — Google review
Phenomenal food. I had the chicken curry and my wife had the bison and wild rice polenta. Both dishes were gluten free. Great list of coffee and teas. The wine pairings were spot on. Cannot wait to go back again.

Restaurant
Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar is a casual dining spot in Canal Park, located in the DeWitt-Seitz Marketplace. It offers inventive New American cuisine and regional cocktails in a relaxed setting with outdoor seating. The menu features shareable plates like Beef Tartare, Fresh Mussels, and Charred Shishitos, as well as entrees such as Lamb Tikka Masala, Brick Quail, Salmon, Bulgogi Wagyu Skirt Steak, and Toasted Orzo.
My husband & I enjoyed yet another LOVELY evening at Lake Avenue - from the chef's counter, we sipped tasty cocktails (mezcal & negroni) while observing the chefs & servers create the most perfect meal & experience for all, everything seemed to run flawlessly! We started with the most delicious calamari (perfectly cooked with a chili kick) & next, the warm kale salad (a must eat) and salmon dish. What a perfect evening! Thank you all for taking such good care of us, we cant wait to return!
Vanessa K — Google review
The food was good however not spectacular. I had the red snapper ceviche and the pork belly sandwich for dinner with a black sesame cheesecake for dessert. The sandwhich was amazing but the fries were plain. The ceviche was watery (if that makes sense) but still good, and the cheese cake was average. The wait staff was incredible however and I would definitely go back.
Josiah W — Google review
This place was excellent! It’s a little hidden and you have to go through the market entrance. The salmon was great and I think the portion was perfect for me. I also got the carrot cake for dessert and it was super rich and dense. Super delicious spot for dinner!
Hannah M — Google review
I've not left a restaurant with such a deep understanding of its city like I have with Lake Avenue. Duluth's urban renewal is charming in the same way a childrens' soccer match is, in that there is an earnest attempt regardless of the result. The same cannot be said about Lake Avenue. A rotating menu will always be bold, and I would have commended them for this had the execution not been so poor. In the images I've included, you'll see the Tofu Masala ($24), the Mac and Cheese ($20), and the Steak Dinner ($53). While I cannot be certain which ingredients were used to push these dishes to such a steep price, I know salt was not one of them. The keen-eyed gourmet will undoubtedly spot the great unifying force of the culinary world, fresno chili and pickled red onion. The unnecessary inclusion of these in both the Tofu Masala and the Steak Dinner unfortunately speaks truth to Lake Avenue's attempt at being something it is not - a restaurant worthy of its prices. Neither the Steak nor Tofu Masala benefit from these flavors, but if your menu is on rotation and you lack the culinary experience to accommodate this, it does provide a universal shock to the palette that might distract your guests from the dish's lack of cohesion. In other circumstances, I would not be so harsh, but the $120 (pre-tip) bill my partner and I paid makes that irresponsible. This is Duluth, Minnesota; leave Lake Avenue, walk 20 seconds in any direction and you'll wind up in a T-Shirt shop or a Bar & Grill. Lake Avenue is not fighting the expectations of its patrons, but the ones that it sets upon itself. Find what works and do it well. No one is asking for anything else.
Logan — Google review
Our visit to Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar was truly enjoyable. We stopped by during a quiet period, so we were seated right away. One of the owners, who was both friendly and attentive, looked after us. We tried the Biscuits and Gravy (without the chili oil) and the Carrot Cake French Toast—both dishes were outstanding and unlike anything we'd tasted before. We're certain we'll return in the future.
Curt O — Google review
Wonderful atmosphere. Nice attentive staff. Food was PHENOMINAL!! only thing I wish different is that the red snapper was the entire fish head on and scored. Most places that serve red snapper do the entire fish. Here it's only 1 fillet. The fish is not quite big enough to do only one fillet. But it was delicious! The calamari was some of the best I've ever had and im from florida and eat a LOT of calamari!

Very nice setting, the atmosphere was wonderful. The food was great, and the drinks were also amazing. I highly recommend the Hurricane. Rio was our server and he was very polite and had a good sense of humor. I will be coming back here in the future.

I ordered the red snapper with white bean purée for my entree and it was fantastic. We also shared the pork lettuce wrap with bulgogi sauce and kimchi, also super tasty and I highly recommend. We had as appetizer but it could be a lite dinner or lunch entree.

Vitta Pizza in Canal Park is a cozy and inviting pizzeria with a charming Italy-inspired ambiance and outdoor seating. They specialize in crafting classic Neapolitan-style pizzas, offering options like the traditional Margherita or more adventurous choices such as the Benito Pizza with ham, goat cheese, pepperoncini peppers, and arugula.
I’ve been here twice and the food is delicious! The pizzas are 9 inches, so an adult can finish a whole one. I tried some of their pizzas, as well as Build Your Owns. The staff is friendly, however, the wait both times was 15-25 minutes longer than they said it would be. Most pizzas are $13-15 and add ins are a dollar or two. The serving sizes for the add ins are kind of small tbh.

The food was very good and different options from most places. Some vegetarian options and good salads. It was busy but the wait wasn't bad. Prices were reasonable. We walked there so can't say anything about parking.

Love having an easy vegan option by adding vegan cheese to any pizza (and removing toppings or doing BYO). Very small place so keep in mind that it is pretty crowded, but service was friendly and faster than expected with the crowd size at lunch time.

Loved the atmosphere with all the rich dark woods and dark lit dining area. Gave it a very calm environment. Food was good, maybe a 8 out of 10. Our server was punctual and made sure we were taken care of.

One star for the hostess that tried to make things right. Server was garbage! He never asked us every once if we wanted a cocktail - threw our food down in front of us. Didn’t listen to what we actually ordered never checked on us to see if it was correct which it was not. The view is nice But I’ve never had such terrible food and service. Senior citizens are the main consumers- Customer service and food quality is not their specialty. I would never go here again.

Amazing service. Off to a rough start. We were seated in the club room right next to a family that had 0 control of their children. They were very loud, jumping around in the booth and hitting the bench. I privately asked the server if we could be moved and they were quick to make it happen. Lobster bisque we ordered to share 10/10 Brussel sprouts we ordered to share 8/10, temperature could have been hotter. London road burger 10/10. This was a huge hit Macs meatloaf 9/10. Would definitely order again Swedish meatballs 5/10. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good but the meatballs didn't get eaten after we all got a taste. Seafood cioppino 12/10 this was fantastic - the potatos could have been left off

Duluth's Black Woods Bar & Grill “Blew My Mind!”—5 Stars of Northwoods Magic! 🍖🔥 (Hidden Gem Alert: You’ll Never Leave Hungry!) # #CertifiedSearchPro Holy smokes, Duluth foodies—Black Woods Bar & Grill is the ultimate spot for that hearty, feel-good meal that'll transport you straight to a cozy Minnesota cabin! Tucked away in the heart of Duluth, this place nails the rustic vibe with its warm wood-paneled walls, crackling fireplaces (perfect for those chilly lake days), and an ambiance that screams 'up-north retreat.' Whether you're grabbing a booth inside or chilling on their patio with views of the surrounding woods, it's like stepping into a lodge from the old logging era—think antler chandeliers, vintage photos of Duluth's timber history, and that inviting glow that makes you want to linger for hours. It's family-friendly yet date-night perfect, with a menu that celebrates all things Minnesota fresh and flavorful. The food? Out-of-this-world delicious! We're talking juicy prime rib slow-roasted to perfection, walleye fillets pan-fried with that crispy edge (a true North Shore staple), and burgers stacked high with local cheeses and bacon that'll make your taste buds dance. Don't sleep on their craft cocktails or the extensive beer list featuring Minnesota brews—pair it with apps like the wild rice soup or onion rings, and you're in heaven. The portions are massive (pro tip: share if you don't want to roll out the door!), and the service is top-notch—friendly staff who treat you like old friends, sharing stories about Duluth's hidden trails while refilling your drinks. The ONLY quirky downside? The portions are SO generous, you might need a nap afterward—it's like they feed lumberjacks here! 😂 But hey, that's just more bang for your buck in this food paradise. No regrets, just full tummy and happy memories. If you're in Duluth, this is a MUST-VISIT for epic eats and that authentic Northwoods charm. Who's joining me for round two? Tag your adventure buddies and let's spread the word! #BlackWoodsDuluth #MinnesotaEats #NorthwoodsVibes #SteakLovers #DuluthDining #LakeSuperiorFood #ViralEats #TravelMinnesota"

We had an incredible dining experience at Blackwood’s Grill and Bar in Duluth, MN. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and comfortable, the kind of place where you know you're in for a great meal and an even better time. The food was outstanding across the board. We started with the soup, which was rich, hearty, and full of flavor, clearly made from scratch. The drinks were well-balanced and expertly crafted, with something for everyone in our group. The highlight of the night, though, was definitely the entrées. The walleye was cooked to perfection, flaky, tender, and seasoned just right, a true taste of the Northwoods. The steak was equally impressive, juicy and full of flavor with a beautiful sear on the outside and a perfect medium rare inside. What truly elevated the experience was the service. Our waitress was fantastic — attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and incredibly professional. She checked in with us frequently to make sure we were happy with everything and kept our drinks and table in perfect order throughout the evening. It’s rare to find a place that nails it on all fronts; food, drinks, atmosphere, and service; but Blackwood’s delivered on every level. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Duluth, this is one spot that deserves a visit. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we’ll be back. Highly, highly recommend!

Canal Park Brewing Company is an industrial-chic microbrewery located in Duluth, Minnesota. This family-owned establishment takes pride in its artisanal beers and locally-sourced pub food. The brewery offers a diverse selection of craft beers, including seasonal brews like Pumpkin Lager in the Fall. With a strong connection to Minnesota's outdoor culture, the brewery's outdoor seating provides a perfect setting to enjoy their drinks on warm summer days.
I’m an out of town girl, Kansas to be specific and I was up north visiting the lake when I decided to get something to eat before I traveled to Minneapolis. This place has got to be one of the best breweries I’ve ever been to. Sophia was our server and she was absolutely phenomenal, she was on top of everything and just so sweet. Took the time to chat and whatnot but also was considerate about everything. Overall this might be one of the best experiences in a restaurant that I’ve ever had and will certainly be back again! Not to mention there’s Lake Superior right behind the restaurant so we were able to get some good photos before we got settled down to eat! Thanks CPB!

4.5 only because the restaurant was freezing. This was our first time to visit Canal Park Brewing Co. I would choose this over Grandma's Saloon any day. The FISH AND CHIPS was the perfect recommendation from our server Natalie. Fish fresh from Superior, battered and fried perfectly! Crispy outside and juicy inside. All the sauces are fresh too and tasty. The spicy chicken wrap was also delicious and a perfect blend of flavors. The beer was good and cold too. What a unique place. We'll be back for sure!

Nice little brewery right on the lake. I had great, quick service. I had the bowl of chili as it was one of those windy beginning of fall cool days it it hit the spot perfectly. Was nice and chunky and had just a touch of heat. Then I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and it had a perfect amount of heat for a chilly day. To drink I had a strawberry mango lemonade Arnold Palmer. It was perfect.

Our visit to Canal Park Brewing Company was quite enjoyable. While the indoor setting was what you’d expect from a typical brewery, the outdoor area made great use of its lakeside location. The service was attentive, and our food arrived quickly. We tried the Mac and Cheese with beef brisket and the Reuben with potato soup on the side; both dishes were delicious. What really made the dining experience was the Swedish Cream dessert, which was outstanding. We would gladly return for another meal.

Canal Park Brewing Company has a really great atmosphere with a fun vibe right on the lake. It’s a nice place to grab a drink and enjoy the view. That said, the food doesn’t live up to the price point. A $20 hamburger just wasn’t worth it, and overall the value didn’t match the experience. Worth visiting for the atmosphere, but not for the food prices.

The few times we’ve been in Duluth, we always stopped here because of the food and proximity to Canal Park. I decided to take my visiting family here, so they can enjoy the view and food as well. This visit, we got the Nashville chicken sandwich and bulgogi bowl. My family had fish and chips, burger, and mac and cheese. My brother and dad got pints as well (I forgot what it was!) Everything was delicious! We did not wait long for our food. Also, our server was so amazing and nice. I think her name is Christine? I am so sorry I forgot! She always checked in on us and made sure we got everything. We will definitely go back. Highly recommend!

Great place for lunch in the Canal area close to the scenic walkway on Lake Superior. The outdoor patio was in a fantastic location and the beer and food was great. The Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, buffalo Mac and cheese were fantastic. The beer cheese soup and dry run chicken wings were great appetizers.

Live music venue
Nestled along the stunning shores of Lake Superior, Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake is a quintessential English-style pub that captures the essence of Duluth's vibrant dining scene. Known affectionately as "Sir Ben's" by locals, this charming establishment offers an eclectic menu filled with beloved pub classics and a lively atmosphere enhanced by live music most nights.
Brunch with a Lake View: Sir Benedict's Tavern Delivers Atmosphere and Flavor Looking for a brunch with a view, we found ourselves at Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake. The setting had promise—and quirks. Parking was scarce, so plan on a short walk from nearby street parking. Once inside, we found a cozy, bustling atmosphere that never felt overwhelming. The staff struck a balance of laid-back and attentive—friendly smiles and helpful guidance from the moment we arrived. Restrooms were simple: two single-occupancy, non-gender-specific rooms. They were clean but showed signs of character—graffiti dotted the walls and ceiling. Seating is self-service style: order at the counter, pick your spot, and the waitstaff brings the food with a warm touch. Lake View & Outdoor Seating It was a foggy day, but we appreciated the generous outdoor seating with views that, on a clearer morning, would be stunning. Even through the mist, the lake added serenity to our brunch. We started with the Pesto Bruschetta, beautifully presented and generously topped with pesto, feta, and tomatoes. It was flavorful, fresh, and visually inviting. The nachos (just a half order!) were unexpectedly hearty—smothered in cheese, tomatoes, a large dollop of sour cream that didn't shy away, and pico de gallo and jalapeno slices on the side. The timing from order to table felt just right. Our waitress arrived with a friendly smile and double-checked that we had everything we needed before leaving us to enjoy. Her attitude matched the tone of the place: casual but caring. 🌟 Overall Impression Despite minor hiccups (parking and fog), Sir Benedicts Tavern on the Lake delivered a memorable brunch with a side of laid-back charm. Good food, good vibes, and a lakeside setting—9/10 would recommend.

In a city that is pretty vegan-friendly, Sir Ben’s vegan Cobb salad is the single best vegan entree in town. Loaded and perfectly balanced, it’s super delicious & satisfying. I’ve already had this entree four times this summer and will continue to return again and again to try and satisfy my cravings for it. While some places just throw a simple vegan entree on the menu, this one is thoughtful and well executed.

Bees Invaded My Epic Duluth Beer Adventure at Sir Benedict’s—But I'd Still Give It 5 Stars! 🐝🍻 (You Won't Believe the Historic Vibes!) #DuluthHiddenGem 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 Stars – A Historic Beer Haven in Duluth That's Worth the Buzz! Oh man, if you're in Duluth, Minnesota, and craving a craft beer experience that's straight out of a history book, RUN—don't walk—to Sir Benedict’s Tavern on the Lake! This place is a total gem, nestled right on the shores of Lake Superior with an outdoor seating area that feels like you've time-traveled back to the 1800s. Picture this: you're sitting on a charming wooden patio surrounded by century-old brick walls, vintage lanterns flickering in the breeze, and the faint echo of Duluth's maritime past whispering through the air. The historic ambiance is next-level—it's like dining in a restored ship captain's quarters, with exposed beams that tell stories of old trading posts and iron ore ships docking nearby. Every corner screams 'authentic North Shore heritage,' from the rustic stone accents to the panoramic views of the lake that make you feel like you're in a postcard from Minnesota's golden age. It's not just a bar; it's a living piece of Duluth history, perfect for sunset sipping or cozy fall afternoons. And the craft beers? Absolute perfection! They pour local legends on tap, with rotating seasonal brews that hit every note—crisp IPAs with piney hops, smooth stouts that warm you up against the lake chill, and fruity sours that pair insanely well with their pub grub (pro tip: get the fish and chips for that true lakeside vibe). The staff are beer wizards, recommending flights that'll make any hophead swoon. It's the kind of spot where you lose track of time, chatting with locals about Duluth's wild history while the waves lap in the background. The ONLY downside? The bees are in GREAT numbers during fall peak season—think a buzzing squadron that might photobomb your pint! 🐝😂 I had to do a little dance to shoo them away, but honestly, it added to the adventure (nature's way of saying 'welcome to the outdoors!'). Just bring some bug spray or snag an indoor spot if you're bee-phobic—it's a minor hiccup in an otherwise flawless experience. Duluth locals and travelers, this is your sign to go! Historic charm, killer craft beer, and views that'll make your Instagram explode. Who's braving the bees with me? Tag a friend and let's make this spot famous! #SirBenedictsDuluth #CraftBeerLovers #MinnesotaAdventures #HistoricPatioVibes #BeeHiveBar #LakeSuperiorEats #ViralDuluth #Travel

During a recent business trip to Duluth, I was in the mood for a good sandwich for dinner and was steered toward Sir Bene’s by the hotel receptionist — and I’m so glad I went! The atmosphere was fantastic, with an impromptu Irish jam session happening that evening. The musicians were excellent and added such a fun, cozy vibe to the place. I ordered the portobello sandwich, which was delicious — hearty and flavorful, and I was that I held the mayo because the sandwich doesn't need it. Although I didn't drink, they have a huge variety of draught beers. Overall, a great experience all around. Highly recommended!

I ordered the British Dip with aus jus which was juicy, fresh and quite excellent along with a few of the local beers they had on tap. Food is 10/10! Played great music, quick service, and delicious food. We had the shrimp tempura, rock shrimp tempura, sweet potato roll, chicken and steak hibachi. The fried rice is so so good! The best I’ve had in a long time. Awesome drink selections including mocktails and THC. The only thing we did not enjoy so much was the ginger dressing on the salad. Surprisingly slow service for how busy they weren't. Very and I mean VERY delicious food, but certainly not for the light of wallet. Very friendly staff from what I could discern in the brief interactions between relatively long gaps. Probably would be very nice for a date night, but not the best choice for the type of evening we were after. Certainly an enjoyable experience, just not what we usually gravitate towards.

Waited too long for drink order, but they were nice. Waited a long time for them to come for our food order, but got our order taken. I took the kids for multiple walks while we waited for the food. Finally, I took one of the kids to our room while my wife waited with the other kid. Then my wife asked where our order was, and they hadn't even started it, so she came back to the room and we packed up and got out of there. We lost OVER AN HOUR and did not get any food! They didn't charge us for the two chocolate milks. We kept hearing other tables make comments of the wait and missing items from their orders. We were so mad. Kids were so hungry. Never again.

Ever seen a Cesar salad made with chopped iceberg lettuce? You shouldn't! But if you do, just know this isn't a proper Cesar and should run. As you can see below in the picture, I found 1 actual piece of green lettuce. The highlight of my meal! Look, if a restaurant can't make a proper Cesar for $12, they probably aren't doing much of anything else right. Be better.

Restaurant
PhởHolic Taste of Vietnam in Duluth is a family-owned restaurant that offers an authentic taste of Vietnamese cuisine. The star of the menu is the aromatic pho, made from a recipe carried back from Vietnam. The long-simmered beef bones and warm spices create a rich and flavorful broth that patrons rave about. In addition to pho, the restaurant also serves crispy banh mi, bun (Vietnamese vermicelli salad), and com tam (broken rice platters).
Cute little place, always busy, the decor is adorable and staff are always friendly and efficient. I have been here multiple times and I'm a huge fan of the Pad Tai. This place is a must. The spring rolls are also where it's at. 👌🏽 10/10 recommend. Only downside is the small parking lot and when it's busy you need to steak out in another business lot and wait for an opening. (Worth it)

This was my first visit to Phoholic with my family, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The menu offers a wide variety of options, the ingredients were fresh, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Service was attentive and welcoming, and the flavors were authentic. My personal favorite was the shrimp Pad Thai, especially with their house-made chili sauce, which added the perfect touch. I also love supporting family-owned businesses, and I’m excited to try their beautiful new second location soft opening this week. Duluth is lucky to have such a fantastic Vietnamese dining option. I highly recommend Phoholic and will certainly be returning. Bonus : Some of the servers also look like those handsome K-pop singers. :)

My first time at the Pho restaurant and it was delicious! I was seated right away and my order came out quickly. I’ve had Pho many times and this was right up there as a top choice. My order came out in a nice big bowl filled with a good portion of pork and shrimp and many egg rolls. If I have one critique it’s that the prices are higher than I’m used to paying and oh that front lot is just silly.

Refreshing but plain spring rolls. Lightly spicy but very nutty sauce. Everything thing was great texture-wise and all full of flavor. A bit of a kick with how spicy the hue style noodle soup was but still tasty. Very good portion sizes.

Grandma's Saloon & Grill is a beloved dining spot with a vintage atmosphere and classic American fare. With two locations in Duluth, the Canal Park site offers outdoor seating and a bustling tourist scene, while the Miller Hill location has its own charm. The menu features an array of pasta, sandwiches, and burgers that have garnered national recognition.
Great location and great enviornment but a bit noisy so if that’s not your vibe I’d not come or arrive earlier. There’s a normal booth seating area but also a bar seating area. I got Smoky Baked Mac N’ Cheese which was extremely good and I’d definitely eat again if I returned. They’ve got a decent range of dishes such as pasta, side pieces, beverages, a kid menu, starters, burgers, salads, sandwiches, and such. The pieces around the restaurant on the walls, ceiling, and such were quite unique and had good humour to it. They’ve also got a merchandise/souvenir section right next to the entrance/exit.

We wanted to try Grandma’s because it is a popular spot in Duluth. We loved the theme and ambience of the restaurant. There were so many things to look at! We got there as the restaurant opened, so we were seated quickly. The food was mediocre. It was nothing that stood out from the other places we ate at in Duluth. Serving was huge though! Our server was not great. It seemed like she didn’t really want to be there. She was rude to some members of our party. She gave the vibe that we should be grateful that she was even taking our order. Overall, Grandma’s was an experience. I think if you’re in Duluth, you should at least try it once. Will we come back? No.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch on our way up north and had the most amazing time!!! The atmosphere was so fun, the food was delicious (huge portions) and the service was incredible. Our server, Lisa, went above and beyond to give us everything we needed (despite us being quite indecisive). We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Lisa!!!!

We recently had the opportunity to dine at Grandma’s Saloon & Grill for the first time. Although we have frequently visited Duluth while traveling to and from the North Shore, we had never had the chance to visit Grandma’s until now. On a summer weekday afternoon, the establishment was half full. The service was excellent, and we were impressed by the ambiance. However, the food was average and somewhat overpriced. I opted for the Chicken Pot Pie, while my wife chose the Walleye.

Nice atmosphere. Trout sandwich had very little meat or substance. Chicken sandwiches looked good, not toasted bread. No refills on water. Seemed too busy to check on customers. Fun experience overall, food looked good. Fries and fried cheese were great.

Whewww…We had a great experience at Grandma’s Saloon & Grill. The wait time was minimal, and the staff was friendly from the moment we walked in. Our waiter, Brenden, was an absolute pleasure—he remembered our entire order perfectly and was incredibly attentive throughout the meal. The barbecue wings were a standout! They were perfectly sauced with just the right amount of smoky sweetness. Excellent service all around!

What a great themed restaurant with great food, service, and atmosphere. The pictures do not do it justice. This is a must see and experience restaurant if you’re in the Duluth area. My only suggestion would be to advise your guests that there are two completely different menus between the main floor and the upper level before you seat them.

Cool place to eat for a touristy spot. Walls are decorated with awesome decorated. Food was ok. Large portions. The best item was the wild rice and gravey they serve with it. Does have a deck to watch the bridge.

Tavern on the Hill is a popular spot known for its Greek wood-fired pizza and seasonal bites. The place offers a variety of dishes, including shrimp tacos with fresh ingredients that stand out. Since opening in 2014, it has become a local hot spot with great drinks, an awesome patio with a fire pit, and a diverse menu to cater to all tastes. The restaurant also emphasizes sourcing the freshest and healthiest products from local partners while supporting the community's growth.
Really liked the atmosphere here as soon as we walked in the restaurant. Service was friendly, prompt and overall exceptional. The food was bonkers good for everyone in my family and that's with two picky children. I chose the steak cheesy ciabatta with the tavern slaw and I was blown away. The blackened cream cheese on that sandwich is what really pushed it over the edge from awesome to out of this world. I chose the tavern slaw as my side upgrade which was some of the best I've ever eaten as it had kind of a southwestern flavor profile. They also have an awesome rewards program with great deals like $1 meals for kids. We'll come back again in the future!

This place is a MUST stop. We had an amazing experience here for lunch today. They have a pet friendly patio with a lot of seating. On my way out I noticed they have blankets you can borrow for days it randomly gets chilly which I LOVE. We got the honey bbq bone in wings and they were amazing! All the wings were fully covered in sauce and they were perfectly cooked. I got the ahi tuna burger and I will say it was a bland burger with very minimal sauce and a lot of avocado. Don’t get me wrong, I love the avocado. In my opinion, if you’re gonna have a lot of avocado, you also need to have some sauce . I also had a soggy bottom bun but luckily the server checked in right away when I saw it and brought me a new bun right away. I upgraded to the sweet potato fries and they are the second best I have had ! They also have really cool lemonade flavors like blueberry and lavender. The service provided by Hunter was absolutely amazing. He was on top of everything and very kind. We ordered just a burger for my dog and he even went out of his way to make sure that the burgers were not seasoned so my dog would not get sick.

TOP TAVERN - Great restaurant near UMD with good food, drink and atmosphere. Good variety of food choices. Flavorful burger that was well prepared. Not my favorite kind of fries but they were good. Good for social gatherings.

Fries were the best part about the meal! The burger and salad were just average anywhere. The local Pistachio beer was definitely yummy. I've travelled lots and just seemed pretty generic to be honest. I don't have kids, but I think it's great they have their kids option and it was a very family friendly place :-)

Great food. I had the Velvet Elvis Burger with melted cheese, peanut butter, pickles and onions, special sauce. My brother had the Bleu Burger, Karen had this monsterous salad with chicken. All prepared exceptionally with great service.

I ordered the Tavern Cioppino and it was phenomenal! This one definitely ranks as one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The rest of our group ordered pizza and burgers which had some mixed reviews. Based on the meal I had though, they deserve nothing less than 5 stars! I’d make a special trip just for this again.

So I took my wife out for a date. And this was the site for our first date years ago. The place wasn't busy at all and there were 4 waitress there plus a bar tender. We ordered a drink and steak bits as an app. And Burgers. Drinks came there were great. But 22 min. later we were not checked on and drinks and water were gone. Another waitress came out and gave us our steak bits and walked away real fast! Our steak bits consisted of maybe and I say maybe 2 pieces that would be considered a bit for a small child, the rest were speaks of meat and all of it was BURNT to charcoal. There is no way the cook didn't see this because each burnt piece was hidden facedown and covered real well with the fried onions that were old and stale. Took another 20 min. for waitress to finally come back and check on us after I complained to the bartender. I showed her this, she stated there is no excuse for this and would talk to the chef but at this point we were already just done with it. I told her ill ay for the drinks but we were leaving I cant trust the chef or staff, they al allowed this to pass to the customer. ME and my wife. She wouldn't take money for the drinks. Nice and we left her a tip for the drinks. But we will not go back there and its a shame, the place has sentimental value to us.

Nestled in the heart of Canal Park, Bellisio's Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar is a delightful haven for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. Since its inception in 1999, this charming eatery has been celebrated for its extensive wine selection—boasting over 500 varieties, with many available by the glass. The ambiance captures the essence of rustic Italian dining, featuring both an inviting indoor space and a picturesque outdoor patio perfect for al fresco meals.
We wanted a little classy on our vacation and decided to try Belliso's. I can say none of us were disappointed. The food was perfectly done and the flavor was spot on. We had the Chicken Marsala and the Shrimp and Lobster Linguine. Two of us splint the Linguine and they brought it out on two separate plates. We chose to sit outside on the little patio at night. The obiounce was perfect and you felt like a little like Italy. Our server was Josh and he was very attentive and friendly. He did an awesome job and we wanted to make sure he gets the recognition he earned! If you are hanging out in Canal Park looking for a good Italian spot this is your spot

Some friends and I were visiting from out of town and called this restaurant to see if they had openings around 8 PM. They were really kind and had openings for a party of seven last minute.✨ There was nothing wrong with the service that we received. Our waiter was very kind and personable. She helped educate us on the wide selection and helped us select a wine. I am disappointed with the food. Their prices were very high, despite not having quality food. The shrimp was very gummy. There was barely any lobster in our pasta dish. The mashed potatoes was very small. The steak was cooked perfect, but the seasoning was very bland. I was very disappointed due to spending $140 not including tip. The dishes were surprisingly small for the amount of money I paid. I had to stop at another restaurant to pick up food because I was still hungry. Overall, they have a great wine selection, but for the food they should improve on the quality of their dishes. I will not be coming back to this restaurant.

We stumbled on this place during a roadtrip and wow! The best service we have had in our travels by far. Then the food was just amazing! The bolognese was fantastic as well as the seafood angel hair pasta dish. If you're in the mood for great Italian and amazing service, we highly recommend.

Worth a splurge! The interior was very classy, and my husband and I worried we were underdressed, but the service was so friendly that our fears quickly passed. Every host and server greeted us with a smile, and our waiter, Josh, took great care of us. We started with the Artisan Cheese Platter (excellent), and I enjoyed the super flavorful Pappardelle Seafood Puttanesca and my husband had the Walleye Milanese. There were an overwhelming amount of wines to choose from, so if you’re a wine snob, this place is a must-visit (my husband and I just Googled what wines pair well with our entrees). For dessert, we enjoyed a great creme brulee that wasn’t too sweet. I took home plenty of leftovers.

We stopped in one evening after hiking all day up the north shore. When we walked in, we felt we were not dressed up to the required level, but they assured us we were very welcome, regardless how we were dressed. The food was delicious and the service was superb. We will be coming here again, but this time we will shower and wear nicer clothes!

The food was great, and the service was exceptional! Our server Josh did a fantastic job, went above & beyond to make our night special, & deserves recognition for his outstanding service. Thank you, Josh, for taking such great care of us!!! AND for encouraging me to try the escargot! 🤤 (My Dad is still teasing me for ever being squeamish. 😂) Thank you & we’ll be back!

Stopped in with my wife before a concert. We weren't really looking for anything special, but we certainly found something special at Bellisios! The atmosphere was very nice, and the food was nothing short of AMAZING!! I had the 12 oz. Fillet mignon, and I can honestly say it was the best steak I've had anywhere in the state. My wife was also very impressed with her seafood linguini. Is it a bit on the expensive side? Yes, but you most definitely get what you pay for. I seriously cannot recommend Bellisios highly enough. For the pizza we had a Large "The Bear" meat lovers style. Might have liked a little more crispness to the crust... But all together it was good. Not heavy on sauce and a hand tossed light airy crust. Lasagna was fantastic. I would come back for this next time personally. Delicious red sauce with a great little bit of spice. Also did a Gouda Mac n cheese to go. It seized up after cooling so didn't hit as well, so not going to rate based on that. Large Pizza was $31 but other items were in the $10 to $15 dollar range. Will definitely go back if traveling through again.

It was all really good. Only complaint I have is when I order an appetizer it should come out before your meal not with your meal. But our waitress was extremely nice and friendly, and yes everything we ordered was a hit with all off us.

The food was ok. The bruschetta appetizer had no cheese and they did not give us enough bread. The stuffed shells were delicious but the portion was a bit small. The sandwich and salad bowl were also decent. Service was ok and the wait wasn’t too long even though the restaurant was busy. Atmosphere was good and the table was clean.

Good service, great food. Even the simple traditional Italian spaghetti and meatballs was a delightful experience. And the deserts were fire, the peanut butter brownie sundae was MASSIVE, so be warned, you will need to share it.

This place has been amazing for many years and is a fun place to hang out for pizza and drinks. There is so much to this place and its all great. The food was fabulous as it always is. We had a couple pizzas and they both were great flavor, cooked perfectly and perfect amount of toppings. I love the mixed drinks they make, blackberry lemon martinis are a favorite. Great location overlooking Lake Superior Port. The service was great and the outdoor grass patio was fantastic location. The food was good, but overpriced for what you get. When you pay so much for a Ribeye you expect it to be cooked to order but was overcooked.. it was still good .... But could have been much better if prepared as ordered. The scallops in seafood linguine were also undercooked and one was still translucent in middle and smelled fishy... So we didn't chance eating it. The rest of the dishes were great. They just need to dial in the execution of the dishes considering the price point.

In town with the family and went here based on a great recommendation by a local. Very easy to get a reservation and table for 4, even on a Friday evening. Wonderful meal with great choices for all. Our server, Thomas, was delightful and had inciteful offerings on dishes to choose, desserts, drinks, and even potential activities to do the following day if we encountered poor weather. Comfortable atmosphere but still a nice evening. I highly recommend!

The Boat Club is a cozy restaurant overlooking the pier. The service was very good, our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and individual dishes. For food we started with the crab artichoke dip which was rich and creamy but there was almost no crab in it , which for $18, was disappointing. I started with the clam chowder which was very hardy and had a lot of depth to it. And the complimentary pop overs were fantastic! The Rigatoni Alfredo was very flavorful but the added on shrimp were slightly mushy which again for an extra $15 added to an entree is very disappointing. We had the orange dream cheesecake and chocolate lava cake for dessert and enjoyed them both. We had higher hopes for this place but the prices don’t seem to accurately reflect the food that’s coming out of the kitchen, especially for the seafood… We will give them another chance next time we’re in town as it could have been an off night but we will be a lot more cautious the next time.

Got Crabby Eggs Benny and it was terrible. The eggs were hard, the holladiase was slightly broken, and the crabby cakes were gummy and tasted awful. I asked for new eggs and heard one of the servers tell ours, very loudly so that the whole dinning room could hear, that the eggs are supposed to be hard for benny's and people dont like runny eggs. My husband got a walley sandwhich, they walley was so small, I think they cut it in half. The (small) bun was oversized for the fish. This place has really gone down hill and we will not return.

As a restaurant connoisseur, traveler, and chef, I've found a restaurant that lives up to its history and service. Kade's professionalism, the quality of the dishes, the range of cocktails, and the wine list round out this small but enigmatic restaurant. Its view of Lake Superior, combined with the fog of those days, made it even more interesting. I've tried sea bass in many restaurants, but this well-prepared dish here truly exceeded all my expectations. I feel so good that I spent two nights there for dinner. Highly recommended.

Excellent food, superior service and lake side views. We chose outdoor seating but next time we will definitely opt for indoor dining. The tables outside are small patio style with very uncomfortable hard chairs. The music was too loud and made it hard for conversation. However, the food was outstanding. We all had appetizers and main entrées. The clam chowder beats San Francisco's best and the Calamari was on par with Vancouver's finest. All of the seafood was excellent, but the Steel Head Trout with garlic risotto was sublime, a 7 star plate of food! Service was exceptional. I would highly recommend this fantastic restaurant to everyone that loves upscale and creative food and excellent service. The views of gorgeous Lake Superior make this restaurant hard to beat.

Nestled within the historic Fitgers Complex, Mexico Lindo is a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine in Duluth, Minnesota. This charming restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere complemented by stunning views of Lake Superior from its elevated deck. Guests can indulge in complimentary chips and salsa that strike the perfect balance of saltiness and spice, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience.
During our vacation in Duluth, we dined at Mexico Linda Restaurant twice and had a fantastic experience both times. The food was consistently fresh, hot, and arrived quickly. We especially loved sitting on the outdoor patio, where the view of Lake Superior was stunning. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. I tried a Chimichanga for the first time, and it was delicious! If you're in the area and looking for great Mexican cuisine with an incredible view, this is a good place to go.

We have a Taco Tuesday group and always go out for Mexican on Tuesdays as a tradition. This Tuesday was in Duluth MN with friends. Big change from Phoenix AZ!! We stopped at Mexico Lindo and we give their food a solid 4. The atmosphere and service are absolutely a 5. Superb service by our waiter who was personable and very good at his job. Where else can you go and get a cool Mexican cantina vibe with views overlooking the scenic waters of Lake Superior. We sat inside for margaritas and outside for dinner. Great combination of seating choices! It’s an awesome place to be in the summer. The menu is large and they have a lot of choices. Although there are no TT offerings, they do have a lunch menu available. Slightly smaller portions and lower prices. More than enough food. Decent chips and salsa. Good Queso. If you get to Duluth, this is a great place to stop. The area where the restaurant is located is very cool. Like a converted warehouse that is now eclectic shops you would find in an upscale farmers market. Worth a visit.

I apologize in advance I didn't take a photo before eating lol. But atleast it shows the filling and portion size. Review: I ordered the Chipotle burrito. A generous portion size with great ratio fillings. I was worried there was going to be less meat filling but I was surprised. I ordered steak meat as the option, well seasoned and nicely chared. I arrived just as the restaurant opened. Service took a little while to get my order. I would like to come back next time to see how the restaurant normally operates later in the day to give a more fair review of the customer service. Overall staff was friendly and helpful on explaining food options such as local favorites and staff favorites on the menu. I would recommend this location for Mexican cuisine in the duluth area.

We stopped at Mexico Linda in Duluth for lunch and were genuinely impressed. My Fiesta Burrito (shredded pork smothered in cheese sauce, pico de gallo, plus a side of rice and beans for about $13) was a comforting, satisfying meal rich but not greasy, with that cheesy pico combo bringing a tasty zip. Each bite was flavorful, and the portions were generous without being over the top. My wife went for the Mariscos, their seafood dish, and it was a highlight: tender shrimp and flavorful toppings, all balanced just right. No heavy food factory taste here; the seafood felt fresh and the seasoning thoughtful. Service wise, we were treated like welcomed guests. Chips and salsa arrived quickly, and the staff checked in at just the right moments: not hovering, but attentive. Atmosphere wise, it’s relaxed and low key. A modest space with no flashy décor, which suits the place. You come for real comfort food, not Instagram shots. It does feel like a neighborhood joint where people go to unwind and eat well. No pretensions, just good food and friendly service. Here’s the bottom line: Fiesta Burrito cheesy, hearty, satisfying. A solid 8 out of 10 in burrito comfort food Mariscos might be the star of the night: fresh, well seasoned, no seafood funk Service friendly and efficient. No long waits Ambiance casual, unpretentious, perfect for a laid back lunch or casual dinner If you’re in Duluth and craving something more genuine than chain Tex Mex but still comforting and affordable, Mexico Linda is a great pick. It’s not high falutin, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. I’d definitely go back.

The deck was beautiful, but that the only positive thing I can say. I spent the extra $ on a "Patron Margarita". The only description is, "Made with Fresh squeezed juice." I could not tell you if there was any juice or patron in there because it tastes like a glass of orange liqueur. Margaritas are my go-to drink. This is by far the grossest one I have ever had.

We stopped in for an early dinner around 3pm. The chips and salsa were good, but it was pretty warm in there despite it being hot outside. I was hoping it would’ve been cooler. My friend and I both had the taco salad with chicken. I didn’t realize it came on top of refried beans and then had refried beans in the bottom of the taco salad bowl. The refried beans underneath the fried taco bowl made it mushy. I don’t think the taco salad was great. A large party got seated next to us and the service wasn’t very good after that. My friend ordered the fried ice cream which she said was really good.

I'm from Texas and to get a 5 star for Mexican food is an unfair challenge. That being said this is so close from a Keto perspective. I was so happy that they had steak options like Carne Asada and Jalisco. The Fajitas combo was super great. We had it for dinner, then woke up the next day and decided... hey let's go get it again. And we did. The queso was awesome too, quick service, nice atmosphere, all-in-all a must go. Thanks guys!

Ate there with my family of 5. Ate out on the deck. Fantastic views. Food was very tasty. Better than many other Mexican restaurants I've been to. Prices were quite a bit better than I expected. We didn't get anything extravagant and most had water. $65 before tip. Good service. Parking isn't easy. It's a part of the Fitger building (Google takes you to a different restaurant parking lot you can't use). We found side street parking. The boardwalk goes by it and has a stairway up to it. I never actually went inside. Price and taste and view were great. I will be back next time I get to Duluth.

Our go-to burger place in Duluth and it never disappoints. Their hamburgers are made fresh to order and are made with quality ingredients. My husband and I were visiting Duluth just for a weekend getaway and we were looking for somewhere to go for ice cream. We found this place and decided to go there. When we walked in the door we were greeted by two gentlemen that were working there. We were able to look at the ice cream that they had and pick out what we wanted and then they told us to you have a seat and they would bring it out to us when it was. They're serving sizes are more than generous and their prices are very very reasonable. It's located in a very easily accessible area and the inside is set up very cute. You should check out their food menu as well. We didn't eat any of the food there. We just had ice cream but the food that we saw when we were there definitely look like it was delicious. You owe it to yourself to give them a try if you're ever in Duluth visiting.

First off, I love the food here, but what I watched tonight was a terrible combination of lack of training, or care if this guy is trained. I have worked in restaurants for 8 years, and have been Serve Safe certified, and I know mistakes happen, but this didn't seem like a mistake. I placed my order at about 6:40 PM. The bill was about average for going out these days. The young man in the glasses was very patient and polite while taking our order. The food was great, as usual, no complaints there(yet, you'll see why). What got me is the horrible cross contamination between raw beef, buns, and handles of spatulas and shakers. The guy on the left in the picture, with the curly brown hair, only changed his right hand glove at 7:10 PM. He still had put down almost a dozen raw beef patties and a cheesesteak set, then touched all the seasoning handles, then the spatulas, then THE BUNS, then the papers the finished product goes on. He then went and WIPED THE GLOVED HANDS on a cloth rag, that hadn't been dunked in a sanitation bucket in the entire time I have been in here. He even put together the finished toppings before changing the one glove, while leaving the other still on, still contaminated. Then, while our food is being made, the young woman on the right with the grey hat comes out and says loudly "People really need to start tipping!" I have always been told "Tips are appreciated, but never expected." This made most people waiting cringe a little, as all of our bills were extremely expensive, and I assume we all tipped what we could. This needs fo change before I come back. The food is great, but this was enough for me to write a review.

Unfortunately, a pretty awful burger. Way over cooked and incredibly salty. The bun was good, but the meat was difficult to fathom for such a highly rated joint. Fried pickles should have been drained before putting in the basket, just swimming in grease. Chicken wrap was fine. Good service, but probably won't be back for the food. That's too bad, because it has a great menu

Couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant after a week up north. 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon looking for a burger. Walked in, great antmosphere, and the staff was attentive. Burger was everything, I had to give props to homie on the grill. Fries were 10/10. Nice gal sent us off with sundaes. Overall, awesome experience.

We ordered online from Toast, and picked up inside. The staff was friendly, the food was ready early, and if you're quick and lucky, the parking is "free". Had fries, cheese curds, and a mushroom burger. The fries are potatoey, oily, salty, and overall fantastic. The curds are foamy, square and fantastic. The mushroom burger is a fried mushroom with a pretty great sauce, and I liked it. Honestly thought it was an actual BURGER when I was ordering so I'm jonesing for some meat, but I'll be ok. I wish they wouldn't staple the bags... The staples can stick out and cut ya pretty good. Sauces are extra, which sucks. Overall, I would eat here again.

Delivery Chinese restaurant
Zhong Hua Chinese Restaurant is a humble, family-owned eatery located in West Duluth. Despite its unassuming appearance, it has garnered a loyal following for its extensive menu of Chinese delicacies. Visitors praise the generous portions and friendly service, making it a popular choice for both dine-in and takeout.
Just a little place in a strip mall that was surprisingly really good. The portions are huge, and the lady who took our order was really nice. Would definitely get food from here again if we're staying in the area. And did I mention the portions are huge? I had enough for dinner and breakfast for 2 the next day. Can't comment on the atmosphere as we were the only ones eating in that day. The kitchen was very busy with takeout orders.

I'm really sorry. I know for a fact that the chef can make it right, but the location and the people that will support his business, he does it for them..and that is okay with me because I understand. Go try it for yourself if you are in the area and see for yourself. Just because it didn't fit my bill doesn't mean it won't fit yours. We ordered: - House special fried rice 4/10 Baby Shrimp was still cold. Rice was a bit mushy. The flavor wasn't right. And for it being the house special, it looked good, but it just wasn't right. - House special lo-mein 7/10 This was probably the best dish that day Flavor had a bit more salt. Noodles were soft, and the sauce was pretty good, even for being a bit salty. It's very similar to Great Moon Buffet Lo- mein. - kung pow Shrimp 4/10 Came with 6 big shrimp, a LOT of sauce, and a ton of veggies. I don't know why it was sour and not spicy. I felt the sauce wasn't cooked, and it seemed like the sauce was added after. - Beef with scallion 4/10 It uses the same sauce as kungpow shrimp. I'm not sure if that is right, but it's very similar to kung power shrimp. Ton of veggies, not much meat, and the sauce looked like it was added after.

I have gotten sick 2/2 times eating here. It is by far the worst Asian food I ever had. I am calling the health department. No1 can answer any questions. Im not even kidding. I have gotten sick every single time. I have novendetta. I am calling FDA.

Food was pretty good. But got delivered and no rice. I ordered 5 different. Quart!!! No rice also ordered sweat and sour chicken. No sweet and sour!! Only chicken. Had to make my own rice and luckily I had some sweet and sour in frig. Spent a pretty penny and left a very large tip. Called and they were not very understanding. Then hung up. Tried to call back and now have no answer!! From now on only order from Beijing. Just thought I would try a place closer to home, But not worth it!!!

I hate leaving bad reviews, but my experience with delivery was shockingly bad. I did an order for deliver and it said it would delivered within the hour. It wasn’t delivered within the hour so I called, they said they were very busy and my order is on its way. Another 30 mins passed and still no delivery. I called again and the phone was busy. I called several more times and still it was busy. So another 15mins went by and they finally answered but still didn’t know how long it’d be for my food. I asked for a refund, and he took my card info over the phone to initiate a refund since it had been 2 hours at this point. My food was never delivered and I’m not confident that I will *actually* get the refund cause the guy was so quick and hung up.

This place is a scam on 6-8-25 I ordered the chicken wings and shrimp fried rice for $26.00 total the chicken wings say 8 pieces on the menu I get home open up my food and I have 6 wings. So I call the restaurant back and asked them what happened to my other 2 wings and he said ohh it goes by weight I was like what but your menu says 8 pieces not by weight. He was rude and this is very misleading. This is something you should tell a person or put it in writing because now that’s false advertising… I wouldn’t spend another dollar in the place… So be careful when ordering something they might decide to change their minds and just give you what they want and not what they advertise… Not cool very horrible people for that ..

I love this restaurant! Their sesame chicken is so good. The staff is friendly and happy. The prices are reasonable. I've only picked up food to go or eaten it there, we don't live close enough for delivery. Every experience I've had at Zhong Hua has been positive.

I've been going here since they opened over 20 years ago. I still believe it is the best Chinese in the area and some of the best I've had. Tonight's meal in particular was very delicious, some of the best I've had from Zhong Hua in a few years. I had to leave a review.

We stopped into the Brewhouse on a Friday afternoon for lunch and were seated and served right away. We ordered the Brewhouse Burger and the Fish and Chips — both were absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out quickly and hot. The cozy, laid-back atmosphere felt perfectly in tune with the Duluth vibe. Great experience all around — we’ll definitely be back!

Stopped in the try a beer as recommended by our daughter. The Big Boat Oatmeal Stout was excellent. The artichoke dip was spicy but just how I like it. Wife enjoyed her root beer and took a couple crowlers home to enjoy later. Staff was helpful and extremely pleasant. Definitely will stop again on our next trip to Duluth.

I cannot stress enough how terrible the service is here. And the sub-par food was cold. Despite the fact that it was after dinnertime on a Saturday night and there were tons of staff everywhere. Our Server was very rude and everyone working was unprofessional. One app and three burgers with sodas took 1.5 hours. This place doesn't even have their own restrooms. 0/10 do not recommend and will not return.

Little Angie's Cantina and Grill is a vibrant Tex-Mex restaurant located in the heart of Canal Park. Its festive space is adorned with Southwestern artifacts and features a wall of tequilas, creating a lively atmosphere. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining, with its huge outdoor patio being a signature feature with brightly-colored furniture. Little Angie's menu includes delicious Tex-Mex classics such as fajitas, tacos, burritos, and enchiladas.
We visited Little Angie’s on a lovely summer afternoon. There was plentiful outdoor seating with lots of space and every table had its own umbrella. We started our meal with their house made margaritas… a Coronita for Jeff and a Mango Boba Margarita for me! Both were fabulous, and each had a special touch. For lunch, I chose their fajitas (half veggie, half chicken). They come out sizzling on a cast iron skillet and are finished with a truly unique seasoned vinegar that makes the whole experience stand out. Jeffy had their Street Tacos which were fun, refreshing and full of flavor… and they came with a side of grilled zucchini, which was a special touch of summer. Our meal concluded with the arrival of an ocean freighter through Canal Park, and from our spot on the deck we could see the Lift Bridge do its thing and the top of the ship sail through. The entire experience was relaxed and refreshing - the perfect Duluth experience!
Dana T — Google review
I really appreciate the great environment and service. Regarding the food, I noticed a few areas for potential enhancement. The flavors leaned heavily towards sweet rather than savory, and the beans were quite watery. Perhaps adjusting the seasoning and thickening the bean preparation could help. The burritos could also benefit from a more robust flavor profile. Overall, with a few tweaks, the food could match the high quality of the environment and service
Lillian F — Google review
Environment is good, food sucks, and overpriced for the quality. You gotta have all three align to succeed in the food business. Very very disappointing to spend $130 on a family of 4 for the poor food quality. Not authentic even to the slightest. It’s like my gringo grandma lost her memory and grabbed canned beans, cub foods stale flour tortillas, big box store tortillas chips and attempted to achieve a Mexican meal. She failed and this restaurant failed so badly. Photos to see what I’m talking about. Never again.

Food was great! The Siraacha was a bit spicy but very yummy enchiladas! 10 out of 10! The drinks were amazing and margaritas are 1/2 off on Tuesdays after 9pm!

Fast service, open late, and overall good food. The longhorn burrito, queso and carnitas nachos were off the chain! The Santa Fe wrap was flavorless and the poblano rice was mashed and not that great. It may because we were in 30 min prior to the kitchen closing but I wouldn’t order it again. Love the music and the service.
ASHLEY Q — Google review
Amazing food. Best Mexican chimichangas I’ve ever had. Kid nachos was huge. Fries were world class and the seafood burrito was divine. Our waiter Sam gave us the best service. This is a must stop!!! Very family friendly.

This is cool looking restaurant with friendly staff, albeit it was a slow start to order. The food is good at a fair price, but not the best Mexican I've had. I think it was just my choice and would go there again.
Verlyn S — Google review
This place looks really cool and smelt so good from the street. We were not overly impressed with our food. It is Americanized Mexican food. The fajitas were very watery and the rice and beans had an interesting flavor to them, not great but also not terrible, in my opinion. The service on the other hand, was phenomenal! Chase communicated with us very well and it appeared the other staff wanted to do what they could to help. They all paid great attention to us and seemed like they are a great team!

Guests can indulge in mouthwatering dishes like the Mushroom Swiss Burger, featuring grilled mushrooms and creamy cheeses, or savor the Parmesan Herb Walleye, renowned for its crispy panko crust and zesty lemon caper aioli.
We stopped on our way up and back from a trip to superior. This was such a convenient place to stop and the food and view did not disappoint. I had the chicory and chickpea salad with grilled salmon on it. It was divine! My husband had the wagu sliders and he loved them. When we came back he tried the breakfast tacos and I had the smoked salmon arugula sandwich which I asked for an egg on. It was all amazing! I highly recommend this place.

Relaxed atmosphere with a nice view of the harbor. Friendly and attentive staff. Super delicious food! Highly recommend the fried cheese curds! Definitely making this part of my Duluth stops. Along with the cheese curds, I ordered the Norwegian Salmon, with wild rice and onion rings.
M S — Google review
My wife, some friends, and I made a trip up to the Duluth area to enjoy a few activities, and after a long day we were ready to grab something to eat. We came across Silos and figured it looked like a great spot to try. Parking wasn't terrible, but since the lot is shared by several nearby businesses, it was tough to find a good spot on a weekend. Once we parked and walked in, we were seated fairly quickly, which was a plus. That said, it did take a while before our server even acknowledged us. By the time he came over, we had been sitting for quite a bit, so we went ahead and ordered everything right away. My wife and I ordered the walleye cakes and a few drinks. When the drinks came out, my wife's Diet Pepsi was missing, so I had to ask our server to get it. For dinner, I ordered the Norwegian salmon with lemon pepper green beans and garlic mashed potatoes which was a wonderful combination. My wife had the seafood pasta, but it wasn't quite what the menu described. Not sure if there was a new chef or if something changed in the kitchen. Overall, it wasn't a bad first visit. There were some bumps, but the location is great--right off Lake Superior with outdoor seating and a beautiful view. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, the menu has solid options, and when the food is prepared right, it's full of flavor. The drinks were also really good, even the virgin margarita was a smash hit. A few things could definitely be improved: service felt slow even though it wasn't very busy, and there wasn't any welcome or smiles when we arrived, just kind of routine. Parking can be tough, and if you have mobility issues, even the short walk from out front could be a bit much. That said, we're open to giving it another try. There are other items on the menu we're curious to try, and we visit Duluth at least once or twice a year so hopefully next time, the service will step up and this place can become one of our go-to spots.
M G — Google review
Delicious!! The walleye cakes are so flavorful and light. We really enjoyed the sauce on the cakes paired with the dill cabbage. The cheese curds are out of this world with the jalepeno raspberry jam! So good. For main meals we had the brisket grilled cheese and the wagu beef steak sandwich. We both liked the brisket grilled cheese more. Great service and views.
ASHLEY Q — Google review
Great atmosphere for sure...food was good but not superior to the steak I make at home. I was impressed by the vegetable selection and the perfection in the taste and tenderness of those items. The cocktail menu was massive in various selections. I enjoyed the THC Cosmopolitan very much.
Roberta B — Google review
I came here over the weekend, I really enjoyed myself. My wife and I sat out on the patio and shared a bacon cheeseburger and walleye cakes. I couldn’t get a picture of the walleye we ate it kinda fast they were so delicious. It came with a tasty aioli sauce and some green and pickled cabbage. The fries were so crispy and flavorful. The bacon on the burger could have been done more and separately then assembled to keep that integrity of the flavor to complete the burger. But it was still good. The waitress was really nice and attentive, made sure my burger was cook right, I really appreciated that!
Andrew D — Google review
The atmosphere is super neat being on the lake and we were super excited for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Our server was polite, but he only came to our table three times. Once when we sat down to take our drink order, second time to deliver drinks and our appetizer, and then once to deliver our meal. Never stopped to ask how the food was, never asked if we wanted another drink or a refill. My seafood pasta was dry and tasted like pizza sauce was just dumped on top. It was supposed to have shrimp and there were zero shrimp. My date ordered a salad with his meal and it never came. I feel like we were totally forgotten about at our table. There were three other tables being served/bussed in our part of the restaurant. All three tables were served and cashed out meanwhile we were still sitting with empty water glasses and waiting 30+ minutes for our check after we finished our meals. For my partner's birthday we were going to order dessert but it was not worth waiting another hour for that. I had high hopes but left incredibly disappointed!
Kara K — Google review
Great atmosphere. We had reservations but got here early so decided to just eat at the lounge area. Service was great and all our food was already packed as you go container so we were able to take it back to our room. One dish was the meatloaf with fries and garlic green beans. Another was the $60 filet mignon with mash potatoes and wild rice. All sides were great except I wished the green beans had been cooked just a tad bit longer and better attention to removing the ends. The meatloaf was good. Although, I wished it had a richer meat taste, it was still very good. The filet mignon was a bit disappointing in flavor. It just didn’t have what I would usually expect from this cut. It was tender and the cut itself was good but the flavor was missing. The wild rice soup was also very good, but missing the seasoning that pushes it into the top level. Personally I like mine with a bit more seasoning (poultry seasoning does wonders) and refined with some white wine. But it was smooth in creaminess and fat content. So still a good soup.

I gotta let you guys know a little bit about an experience. We had out at Old Chicago in Duluth right off a canal park. This is something that I need to share because it meant a lot to me. To actually have this experience at a real real real great Pizza place. Old Chicago, and what I want to tell you about is the pepperoni. Pizza, that was so amazing, served by our just ultra talented waitress. Brooke, and let me repeat that ultra talented waitress Brook. Uh, we also had the artichoke dip, which did not fail to amuse and entertain. It was entertainment for our mouths, delicious, uh, on top of that. The spaghetti was so good. I even ate the piece that my son dropped on the table. It was so good. I'm just like I'm eating that, I'm eating that. Look let's get back to the service because it's it's worth coming back and revisiting, how excellent the service was here. Okay, typically, Pizza takes what 30 minutes 25 minutes to to cook. Uh you know and that's in like a firestone oven, but, uh, twenty minutes less than twenty minutes hot, delicious pizza don't know how they do it, but they do it. Spaghetti, just coming back to that again noodles done el dante. So yes, our waitress, yes, she did it all took care of the kids and made them smile. She was pleasant and funny to me and my wife made sure that we got taken care of got our food done out on time. Okay, everything you could ask for in service when it comes to service. I literally asked her to pick me a random beer. She literally picked my favorite beer out of the hundreds of beers they had there she picked the one I like the best. When you get that kind of service where people just innately know what to do to service, the customer in an efficient and pleasant manner. That's rare. Get out to this place, get up, get off your butt, go there, do it now. I'm gonna put some pictures up of some of the delicious food we had like the wonderful spaghetti that my kids had. The delicious pepperoni Pizza with a sauce that is unlike any sauce that I've ever tasted in my life, and the savory creamy, cheesy artichoke dip that just melts in your mouth and on the chip. Just delicious so get out there. Pour yourself a Pabst Blue Ribbon with an icy mug and get out there and have a slice and enjoy yourself request Brooke, because she does it right. She'll, make sure you get your food out hot. That's it. See ya!
K B — Google review
I like it. Consistently good. I don't know why it's so hard to find a decent calzone (or stromboli), but old Chicago has one, and they're huge and delicious. It's also the only thing I've ever gotten at an old Chicago so I can't speak for the rest of the menu.
Justin G — Google review
Pizza and drink selection is always great. Service can be a bit slow, especially drinks from the bar, but it’s a big space and lots of dots to connect. This happens even when they don’t seem busy. Regardless, we will continue to eat & drink here 😊

Clyde Iron Works is a unique dining option housed in a converted factory that once served as a manufacturing facility for hoists and machinery. The building has a rich history, having supplied the Army in both World Wars and contributed to iconic projects like the Panama Canal, Empire State Building, and Golden Gate Bridge. Today, it offers wood-fired pizza, burgers, shared plates, and delectable desserts in a cool rustic setting.
We had a group of 7. They weren’t taking reservations, but when we arrived around 745 on a Thursday, they were able to find space for us. We had to wait a few minutes for a large table to be available. They were very nice about it and checked in with us repeatedly. We were happy to wait. Our server Sierra was attentive and got our orders in accurately. We ordered an appetizer of fried ravioli. When they were brought to the table they noticed we had one less ravioli than people in our party, so they fired one up just so we’d each have one. Drinks were delicious and generous. Our food was all cooked to order, including 3 burgers. The steak was an experience! They cook it to rare, and then bring it to the table on a stone that is heated to 500 degrees. That way you can pull it off the stone when you are ready to eat it. We closed down the joint with dessert. Even though we finished our meal about 9:10, and they closed at 8:30, they were kind and didn’t make us feel rushed. We enjoyed our meal at Clyde!

We have been here a couple of times and it is great each time! Their entire menu is delicious- they have home made pasta, slow cooked porchetta, and delicious salmon. Their beer is great and they also have wine and cocktails. The building is very interesting and it’s been fun to look up the history. We can’t wait to come back and try more menu items!

We enjoy checking out new places and knew we had to check this place out once we found it on Google. The parking was hard because the building has multiple uses, but the building and atmosphere are top-notch! As others have stated, the wooden menus are cool but harder to use. Thankfully, it has a decent selection of different options. All the food had good flavor and the presentation was nice. The prices are a little on the higher side compared to portion sizes. Service was friendly and professional. I also liked how open everything is, and that shows how clean they keep it. We enjoyed it and will most likely be back when we're in the area.

Tried Clyde’s for the first time yesterday evening… The entire experience was five stars , the atmosphere was amazing and customer service was second to none! Bill the bartender was on top of his game giving awesome advice on drinks and the new strip steak …OMG was the best steak I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy ! I had to stop the owner even I was so impressed. Loved it so much we’re stopping back this evening !

We had our wedding ceremony and reception in the main event center and wow it was stunning! Also, clyde has awesome catering - the food options are great and it is all delicious! We loved the pasta bar. We have gone to Clyde for breakfast and dinner before and loved it so I'm not surprised their catering is amazing. This building is stunning and has cool history. If you want to create a elegant, warm, fun, industrial atmosphere then look no further. I would highly recommend having your wedding at the venue. I loved all the spaces (getting ready suite, main event room, and overall layout). Just book here! You won't regret it!

Cool place. The building was a factory in its golden age. They make their own pasta. We had the sandwiches and burgers. I recommend.

We cooked our own steak on a cooking stone and it was SOOOO GOOD! I had a chicken salad with fruits veggies and parmesan dill dressing that was amazing. 10/10

Fantastic place. Atmosphere is friendly and laid back. We had Amber as our bartender and she was just awesome! Food was delicious and piping hot. They have a massive selection of beers and the ones I tried were simply yummy! The men's room was very clean. If I lived close to here, it would be my hangout. This is a must to stop in.

Nice little bar a short jaunt from the hustle of the lift bridge flurry. Menu prices don’t include fries which are an additional $3.99. That’s spendy and the serving size is stingy. Burgers are good. By passed the tap beer but there were many to choose from.

Love this place! Awesome food and great service! Tony in the kitchen is the Man!! It has become a tradition of mine to stop there every time I'm in Duluth. I ALWAYS ask for the "Mexi-Burger". It's not on the menu, but it's greatest burger of All Time! Made by Tony himself 👌🏻 Go get yourself a Cold One and a greeeaatt Burger! You won't regret it
Brian J — Google review
Great beer selection—need more local. Service was okay—better service for those in the circle. Surly Axe Man is excellent. Ordered the 7 West Melt. “Sourdough” tasted like white bread. Barely any color and no fat—fat is flavor. Didn’t taste the Swiss. Minimal flat top treatment on the onions—these should be caramelized. Killed the burger meat. I’ve had better frozen Bubba burgers. Upscaled with a order of onion rings at $6.29. Out of a bag—half were overcooked and half underdone. The patty melt should be cohesive not a separated mess. Not a fan of the food or their “efficient” process machines in the kitchen. They don’t care what they’re cranking out. Train wreck of a meal with exception to the brewski.
Mike G — Google review
Absolutely recommend this place!! They have a huge selection of taps from all over Minnesota and beyond. Burgers are cooked near perfection and paired with your choice of flavored tots or fries which are hand cut right in front of you!!. Best part...the food is cheap!! Take a detour from the fanciness of Canal Park and hit up this joint...you won't be disappointed!!
Adam V — Google review
The food here is pretty awesome!! The atmosphere has a cool vibe to it, inside it is appealing with the colors and wall decor. I can't say the staff is super friendly, the majority of them from what I have experienced are, some however, are not as much. Overall, a great place to go for drinks and food.
Amanda M — Google review
Lol people dont come here for the food the wontons should be taken off the menu it has hardly any stuffing and I like the that the tenders are made there but they should take into consideration how small they're cutting the pieces because by the time they get fried your literally feeding people just breading the tots were really the main winner with great taste

I ordered the lightly deep fried cauliflower appetizer thinking there would be bigger pieces of cauliflower. This was what I got. Overpriced for an appetizer menu and definitely not what other locations of 7west show as the picture of what the lightly deep fried cauliflower appetizer looks like.

Vietnamese restaurant
Taste of Saigon is a family-owned restaurant located on the first floor of DeWitt-Seitz Marketplace, offering an authentic mix of Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. The bright and simple dining room provides an inviting atmosphere for patrons to enjoy classic dishes like Sesame Chicken, Beef with Vegetables, and Lemongrass Chicken. Really good food with excellent service! The restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere.

If you've never had real Vietnamese pho, you'd think this was good. But I have been a pho-natic for years and know what real authentic pho is and how it's made. Comparing this place to a pho place in the cities, this place lacks some things for being an actual pho restaurant such as tripe, star anise, red chili flake oil and Thai basil. The fried items seemed like it was either refried or the frying oil was old or dark and burnt as the wontons were dark and really hard to chew as well as the egg rolls and sesame chicken. The pho broth seemed like it was diluted and bland with lots of onions in it. Also, the portions for $11.95 were smaller than I'd expect. The service was not too bad as most places this day in age are under staffed and our food came out within minutes of ordering. I'd say give this place a try, but it could be much better and more authentic.
C S — Google review
Yummy pho but fried rice & stir fry can be better. Service was great despite the business.
Chloe L — Google review
It's OK but if you've never had authentic pho, you'd know authentic pho is so much better! I've been a pho-natic for years and have tried many places in the twin cities as well as living with a Vietnamese family. They lacked Vietnamese menu items like Thai basil and tripe. The menu could use a description for what each meal is or has in it. The broth seemed watered down, not very flavorful and full of onions. The portion seemed small for being almost $12, whereas most pho restaurants are only about $9 with a bigger serving and even bigger sizes available. The egg rolls and anything fried seemed hard, dark brown and chewy like it was refried or the fryer oil was old/burnt. The service was ok and friendly but like a lot of places they seemed under staffed. Good ahead and give them a try if you're in the area.
C S — Google review
I never tried Vietnamese food before. So we tried a combo with sesame chicken fried rice and a roll. The rice was tasty but the chiken preparation was very sweet, so i didn't like it.
SUSMITA S — Google review
The food was bland, subpar for even cheap Chinese restaurants, the fried rice had no color, the egg roll was disgusting, and the sauce for my main course was advertised to be slightly sweet and spicy…it was neither of those. The fortune cookie was the best thing I ate. The service was arguably worse, 2 people yelling at each other in the kitchen about family drama and going to college. I’m not surprised I was the only one in the restaurant. I will not be back.
Jake M — Google review
Beef and vegetable combo with an egg roll and delicious friend rice. My husband called it special because it was so good. The meat and vegetables were perfectly seasoned. Very big portions. The egg roll was different, it was not filled with shredded veggies as I expected. It was a meaty mixture. Kinda weird. The wontons were crispy and good. We will be back!!
Angela F — Google review
The food was okay. Beef vegetable stir fry was so salty the fried rice coil t even help it. Pho was okay just which they had actual chili oil (spicy kind). Egg rolls were okay not that good and the chicken wings they provide oyster sauce for you to dip in which is super weird but to each their own.
Yuyeng L — Google review
Just was in and I got General Tso’s chicken which was amazing as usual. I didn’t finish my chicken and I got a leftovers box but forgot my chicken in the box at my table. I remember and came back about 5 - 10 minutes later and asked about it. They apologized and said it had been thrown away. I said thank you and was preparing to leave but they said they would give me some fried rice and about 2 minutes later I got a big container of hot fried rice. The staff are so kind and respectful. I love this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

I’ll start with how the food was. The food was amazing, well seasoned with quick service. They were very accommodating of to our diet preference of veganism. Our host was understanding and diligent with his duties. We were asked to sanitize our hands the moment we entered the restaurant. The tables we spaced well to facilitate social distancing. After a table left, the table and chairs were sanitized. When we paid the check, he sanitized my card after. My tip was even sanitized. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food, the service, the sanitization, and safety.

This restaurant offers delicious food. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is comfortable with plenty of seats, even for parties. The food quantity is good. I did not like the proxy meat option though. Loved to be here while visiting Lake Duluth!
Ashish A — Google review
Same high quality food ordered cafeteria style. They offer combos with entree + egg roll + fried rice, entrees alone, tea, soda, and other items! Some of our families favorite dishes are; mock duck with vegetables and sweet and sour chicken. How it’s done: Place your order at the front, pay, take a table inside or a bench outside, collect food from front table, enjoy at a table inside or to go! I took pictures after we started enjoying the food so I didn’t capture how neatly the food was assembled to bring to the tables. They provide easy to transport To-Go friendly packaging too. There are tables inside for groups of 2-12 people. Easy, fast, hot, delicious, great portions. Sharing a variety of dishes, we spent ~$10-$12 a person. A great meal out in Canal Park.
Kakuut — Google review
The place was good, neat and clean but the food was okay. We order combination plates (Chicken with Lemongrass with Egg-roll) and Chicken wings in special garlic sauce. We were expecting it more spicy than it was served. The chicken wings dish was sweet in taste. The quantity of the food is good based on the price.
DJ — Google review
This restaurant serves a mixture of both Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. It is a small and cozy restaurant within the area of Duluth. They have a few tables to accommodate up to 6 people, but they can accommodate for more. The service was above average with no wow factor. As for the food, I had pho and I was fairly disappointed by the small amount of rice noodles I got, the broth tasted all right, but wasn't quite authentic. I left the place with a half-empty stomach.
Minh P — Google review
Loved the appatizer sampler, it was a little oily but definitely enjoyed the variety. Higly recommend to try it considering the price. Some of the dishes like chicken mangolia was a little on the sweeter side. Would have personally preferred it to be spicier. Nice little place with very quick service and good management. Would recommend if you like Chinese or Vietnamese cusine.

Fantastic dining experience. The food was delicious. We had the tempura cauliflower, corn salad and Lake Superior white fish. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. I have celiac disease and our server was very helpful. We will def be back!

We were happy with our service, but I do not recommend the Whitefish Pot Pie. Clever idea since it is supposed to be fresh from local suppliers, but poorly executed. Appearance was nice, but was very bland, dry since there was no sauce, and instead of chunks of whitefish it was minced to the point you couldn't tell it was actually fish. It was $32, and ended up not eating it. They tried making up a sauce for it which we appreciated, but it equally had no taste. Thankfully they did not charge me for the meal which I appreciate.

Read the mission statement description on the menu title page that includes the words"Deversity, Equity, and Inclusion". Sounds good, but why does this always include staff with brightly colored hair and too many ear/nose rings? Why does it feel like we are being judged by staff in these places like we may not be good enough to associate with the mall? All of this is good and fine until you sit down with your family of four for dinner. Your family begins to eat, finishes their meal, and you or I am still waiting for our steak. Curious, I walked down the stairs near the kitchen to hear a conversation that my meal was not started at all. Well, or at least at the same time as my family's, gr! I waited about thirty odd minutes. My family done with their meal, I received my meal(see attached photo full pate and empty plates) The floor manager was great dealing with their mistake taking my meal of the tab. The bartender was not very understanding, making a comment, "Well, working in a restaurant you would know what it can be like." My point is; Food was great, most staff had good intentions, but if a person doesn't focus on their basic job, all efforts are for not. Their mission statement, the nice restaurant, the staff, the discounted meal, etc. means nothing when my poor experience is all I can remember. Always focus on the very important details of your job/mission and your goals will always fall in to place.

Excellent food and service! The Whitefish and grits was great, curry the best and mussels, steak bites so good. The bread though...omg..I almost said "let's forego dinner and just eat this bread" it's that good.

This place is a gem! Everything we ordered was incredible. Very vegan friendly and many sober options. We got the trout, pork, wild rice bowl, vegan scallops, and the bahn mi with soup. So good! The flavors were well balanced and the food was nutritious and filling. Highly recommend the tofu it was so flavorful. As well as the vegan scallops. We had someone who hated mushrooms but they actually loved the trumpet mushroom scallops. Yum! Everyone was happy.

What a delightful experience. Dinner before seeing a show at the Duluth Playhouse/NorShor Theater. Very upbeat vibe, great cocktails, and a small but amazing menu. Very unique entree preparations that were fresh and tasty. The Vegan Scallops were the most surprising and a must try if you love scallops and/or mushrooms! Highly recommend this establishment.

Great service, huge portions, and really good food! We ordered a soup and a main each and were stuffed. Their wild rice and chicken and orange ginger carrot soups were hearty and fresh. The fish sandwich was so flavorful and came with the biggest side of fries. Bonus points for the great poster display outside the bathrooms. Definitely check it out!
Nathaniel C — Google review
Zeitgeist currently offers a selection of vegan appetizers, salads, soups, bowls, and sandwiches, but they did not have vegan entrees or desserts on the menu. The atmosphere is upscale and modern. However, it's worth noting that during our visit, they seemed to be experiencing a staffing shortage. Therefore, I would recommend making reservations in advance since there are limited tables available, and you might experience a longer wait for your meal. We ordered the vegan báhn mi, vegan ginger carrot soup, vegan scallops and vegan fried wild rice bowl. The presentation of all the dishes was quite appealing, and I must say, the vegan scallops were the best I've ever had - truly delicious! Overall, it was a pretty good experience, and I particularly enjoyed the lovely atmosphere.

Dubh Linn Brew Pub is a lively Irish pub and microbrewery known for its old-school charm, bar-food menu, and whiskey selection. The pub houses a nano micro-brewery where small batches of beer are handcrafted, allowing for experimentation with flavors and high-quality brews. From seasonal varieties to classic pub ales, visitors can sample different drinks or opt for a flight to taste test four selections.
To be fair, there was only one bartender, and he was servicing the whole place to the best of my knowledge. The food was phenomenal, and the service was extremely exceptional for one person! Would highly recommend. They have free pool and shuffleboard, other board games , and cozy places to sit.
Brenda — Google review
We went on a Saturday night for one of their comedy shows and had a solid good time. The drinks were strong, the atmosphere was exactly as a pub should be and the service was spot on. The comedians need to see a therapist about their obsession with their history of, apparently incessant, pubescent masterbation! Unfortunately they both seemed to think that was the only subject they could find that would ensure laughter. It was funny for about 10 minutes but then it felt like middle school for the remainder of the show. The food was fair, my wife had fish and chips and enjoyed her basket. I had the shepard's pie and it was decent but way over salted and I like salty food. But, thankfully, like I said earlier, the drinks were really strong.

My wife and I have been homeless in Duluth for the past 6 months. This bar and one of it's employees became the first time I have experienced discrimination in Duluth due to our status as homeless. The bartender working last night opened the front door as we stood on a public sidewalk next to the bar. We were not there long, and we weren't disruptive or causing and issues at all nor were we blocking access to customers in any way. The bartender looked at my wife, a friend who is also homeless in a wheel chair, and my wife then proceeded to tell us we could not be standing by his business because we were turning away customers. I couldn't believe he discriminated because he knew we are homeless. Duluth has an enormous problem on their hands with the overwhelming population of homeless. Many of us have done nothing to deserve homelessness, we're also not drug addicts who choose to spend their money on drugs rather than necessities. Personally, I grew up in a wealthier family and have vacationed here since I was born. I have an education and owned my own business that was very successful. I went from the top of society to the bottom in a short period of time which was not my fault unfortunately. If you have any morals. If you have a heart, and if you believe stereotyping, and discrimination regardless of the situation is wrong do not patronize this business. If I could I would shut them down specifically for this very incident whether I was discriminated or had been a witness. I hope the owner of Dubh Linn reads this. I may be homeless, but I am not idiot. I also have an education, and I previously owned a business myself. If the owner is reading this before you receive anything from my attorney first, I have every intention to make it publicly known on social media and news publications of this discrimination. I also will be following through with my attorney filing a discrimination lawsuit so I receive monetary compensation for the discrimination by your bar. I am not going to be keeping everything I am awarded in court. It will help other individuals who have become like family. Those of us who are homeless for the most part stick together, we help each other, and none of us deserve to be told to leave a public sidewalk because we look and are homeless. I hope your bar is boycotted hopefully forcing you to shut down or the city shuts you down for the act committed by an employee of yours. If the owner wishes to settle this atrocity before I hand it to my attorney please comment on this with a way to contact you. If not, as I said above, I have no issue following through with a discrimination lawsuit.

Dubh Linn was awesome, we went on Thursday night for the amateur comedy night and the atmosphere was great. Free pool & darts were great options. Our fries were very good, crispy and flavorful. Bartender was super nice and friendly, everyone in the staff team just loved to be there and was happy to help some new faces. If I was local I’d be coming here often.

This place had some pretty good food. You grab a menu and order at bar. I had lamb Sheperds pie & a side of cabbage & veggies...delish! My friend had shrimp & fries and said they were good too. Of course the Guinness was great. Atmosphere was older but comfortable. There was a nook area with a fireplace & comfy looking chairs. A charming old red phone booth. The booths for seating were super high, so if your height challenged it may be hard to get into, but there are other seating options. I'd like to stop back at another time & maybe play pool and try more things on the menu.

Nice Irish pub in downtown Duluth. Great place for group celebration. Great beer selections and full bar service. Very accommodating staff who catered to our varied needs, with young family members and an older segment as well as good food selections. Nicely appointed with colorful flags and a clean interior that was very inviting.
Ervin A — Google review
Extremely disappointing experience. I went to this bar and felt clearly unwelcome as a person of color. The bartender with dark hair parted to the side treated me and my friends very rudely compared to other guests. It genuinely felt discriminatory — we were questioned and ignored while others were served right away. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable or singled out because of their background. I hope the owners take this seriously and train their staff to treat everyone with the same respect.
Tyler N — Google review
Limited staff with unlimited smiles 😃 what a treasure to have found on a girl's trip. They offer a small eating menu but a mastered menu for certain. A wide selection of drinks to choose from and served with compassion! The Reuben was scrumptious and flavorful with a precise balance of fresh, moist meat and lightly crispy toasted rye bread. The garlic mashed potatoes did not warrant any touches of flavor. The cheesy spinach artichoke burger was bursting with robust flavors igniting a savoring euphoria💞

Nestled in Duluth, India Palace is a charming Indian restaurant that beautifully marries traditional decor with a touch of sophistication. This inviting eatery offers an array of authentic dishes, making it a standout choice for those craving Indian cuisine. While the weekday lunch buffet may not be the highlight, ordering from the menu reveals delightful options like Chicken Tikka Masala and Beef Malabar, all served in generous portions at reasonable prices.
Popular! Get there early. Even with 2 waitstaff doing all front of house work, the service was great and the food was so good. We smelled it from down the block and couldn't go anywhere else.

We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Beef Malabar, Chicken Malabar, Chicken Saag, garlic naan and paneer naan, and then their side of “pickles.” Everything was very good! No complaints and decent pricing. A great spot in Duluth that adds more diversity in our palettes.

Very good food and Kiran and Tanya were very professional in seating and serving us. Street Parking is free after 5:30PM. Ambience was kind of okay. Portions were very good for the price. The only thing we didn't like was they added a 13% Charge on top of our bill in addition to State Tax. So, i guess TIPS aren't optional anymore. LOL. This is the only Indian Restaurant in the City & we are very thankful for that. Overall a very good experience. Thanks

We arrived late in their midday open hours; website doesn’t show the varied hours or the schedule for the lunch buffet, which isn’t available on Thursdays. Few customers and we received excellent service. The food divine I experience nirvana when eating good Indian food. This place did not disappoint. Yum!!!

was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food was extremely bland, lacking any real flavor or seasoning you’d expect from Indian cuisine. The chicken dishes were especially poor — the meat tasted as if it had been frozen and then just dipped in a plain tomato sauce, with no depth or spice. The chicken itself didn’t seem fresh and had an off texture that made it hard to enjoy. Overall, it felt like very little care went into the preparation of the food. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

One of the unique Indian Restaurants I've been to. The food is really good but what makes it more special is that the meaningful paintings and decor that they have put up to showcase the country. The service was decent but the chef did come up personally and asked how the food was. This is a must try if you are in Duluth.

The price of all you can eat is awesome $25 on a Saturday. You cant find that anywhere in the cities. The sushi was good. They do charge for uneaten food and the rolls they give you are BIG! So keep that in mind when getting all you can eat. They also say No sharing. We went on a Saturday night. The appetizers came at a decent rate, however we waited about an hour after the appetizers to get our sushi. I would come back but not on a Saturday night!

Absolutely spectacular sushi and sashimi!! Vast menu covers everything Asian, in addition to sushi. We had the sushi for 2, fried squid, and a crab salad via DoorDash. Every item was the BEST we’ve ever had, and could easily have fed 3-4. I cannot describe how fresh and high quality the sushi was. And the prices are great, especially compared to the twin cities. They serve bean dip with the chips and salsa and it is seriously the best beans I have ever had...... Fantastic service and the food was soooo good. We had the primo and pork carnitas. The primo was sooooo flavorful and we will be ordering that on repeat!

Super cute little Mexican restaurant hidden in the strip mall. Once we snagged a parking spot down the road a ways we walked in and got seated right away, service was great, staff very kind and served us smiling. There are a lot of businesses and not the largest parking lot so it was harder to get a place to park. Plenty of food for the price, very good! A wonderful lunch selection. 😋 I love the decor and colors of all the tables and chairs, its a very fun and happy atmosphere.

Aztecas is one of my favorite restaurants in Duluth. The food tastes amazing, the portions are generous, the lunch specials are very reasonably priced. The staff is very kind and always happy to help with my food allergy. Pictured are the fajitas and the fajita burrito, as well as the chips salsa and bean dip.
Brwynn J — Google review
You won't find a better burrito in the Midwest and the prices are unbelievably fair. I've been all over the southwest and still haven't come across better Mexican food than what they are serving at Azteca's It's in a strip mall, but don't let that deter you. Excellent.

Excellent flavor from south of the border. The chili verde was as good as I’ve had and the lunch met all my expectations. We were first timers and I can now say this is our favorite restaurant from our neighbor, Mexico!

Excellent experience at Azteca’s Mexican Grill! Everything was amazing—from the friendly service to the delicious food. We tried the carne asada, carnitas, and the sizzling mixed fajitas, and all were packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, and the sides like rice, beans, guacamole, and pico de gallo were fresh and tasty. Highly recommended—definitely coming back!

Italian restaurant
Bulldog Pizza & Grill is a charming family-owned pizzeria that has been delighting patrons since the mid-1980s. Nestled near the University of Minnesota Duluth campus, this inviting eatery boasts a diverse menu perfect for diners of all ages. Guests can indulge in an array of creative pizzas, like the Son in Law and Bacon Cheeseburger varieties, alongside hearty burgers, pasta dishes, calzones, chicken options, and fresh salads.
I had a great lunch here. There is a free parking lot shared with other businesses in the building and this restaurant has outdoor, booth, table and bar seating. The menu has a nice variety. I enjoyed the pesto pizza. The service was outstanding.

They were one of the best spots for wings but this was the worst service and respons to our problem. First, the driver forgot the wings (we ordered pizza too) so I call and they offered a credit but we wanted wings. The driver returns with wings and we got four wings and three pieces of wings - the parts normally thrown away. So I call back and send pics and was told they would bring this up to the owners. I was told they weigh up a pound and it should be 5-7 wings. My wife emails the owners as well. It's been five days and we haven't heard a thing! Don't waste your $16 on the wings, not worth it because you'll get a few wings with a few skin covered bones which we obviously didn't eat as you will see in the pics.

This was a hidden Duluth gem that we discovered when we were searching for a pizza place that we've not been to yet in the northland. The pizza was absolutely phenomenal, that crust and the sauce were just so darn delicious. I love the pizza places that can successfully pull off thinner crusts that have a doughy texture. My wife got the tzatziki pita, she really enjoyed that and said she'd return just for that item on its own. I also love that they have windows on the outside of the restaurant but in the hall of this little mall so you can see the magic happen in the kitchen. Service was incredibly awesome, being fast and very family friendly. We'll be back again when we visit Duluth.
Chris M — Google review
Bulldog is my families favorite place to get pizza in the Duluth area. The quality of food and service is top notch. The staff is friendly and accommodating, especially for having young children. We always start our order with dough dogs, best item on the menu! My kids would eat there 7 days a week if we let them. We love Bulldogs!!!
Sarah K — Google review
Bulldog Pizza is a Duluth staple - whether you join family, friends or need alone time, delicious food is enjoyed in a great setting! I love the outdoor seating option - when the weather is nice in Duluth you have to take advantage of it! The owners and staff are friendly and care deeply about each customer who walks through the door. And for all the moms: yes it is kid friendly!!
Sharae H — Google review
Food was great, service was excellent, atmosphere was nice. Only reason for 4 stars was because we requested salami on only half. They put it on the whole pizza but bacon on only half. They let us know, offered to remake it, but we said it was fine. They said they were going to give a discount for the mix up but never did. I didn't say anything, just paid the bill.

The staff was very friendly, accommodating and always there when we needed them. They have a good selection to choose from on the menu and the food itself was amazing. I'm very impressed.

Chinese restaurant
Nestled in Duluth, China Cafe is a charming spot that serves up beloved Chinese classics for both lunch and dinner. This modest eatery is particularly popular among locals for its takeout and delivery options, making it a go-to choice for those craving delicious Chinese cuisine without breaking the bank. Diners rave about favorites like Egg Foo Young and Szechuan Chicken, highlighting the unique chicken-based gravy that sets their dishes apart.
The service can be slow, because there is usually one person who is serving and answering phones, but the food is delicious.

OMG...this is the worst place ever to eat at...walking in the floors were sticky...my son and I should have turned around and left but we were hungry and we love Chinese Food...but this place...gross...only thing good was the egg drop soup...DO NOT EAT HERE!!! There was a note on door when you walk in saying Please wait to be seated...but nobody did seat us...we had to stand at counter 1st to order...by pictures I shared you can see dirty tables and instead of the soda coming already in glass we had to do it ourselves...the food had no taste whatsoever and tasted funny too...we left our plates still full and spent 31 dollars for nothing

I order hot and sour soup ,broccoli chicken ,and tofu with pork dishes .The lady was so rude when we enter the restaurant she didn’t even greet us and ask us what we want .She was looking straight to me like she never see human being before . The food was absolutely bad .everything was so salty and sours .As I told her I can’t consume that kind of sour food .She said this is our style and couldn’t able to fix it . She is extreme rude .She even put bowls and plate with attitude .everything have filled with celery. Not recommended for lunch and necer go back again .It’s not worth it for your time and money .
Kyall T — Google review
The food here is good a bit pricier than some others around. I love the beef fried rice. If you get fried wontons they can be a little stale. Overall they are quick and tasty.
Erika J — Google review
When did egg Foo young start getting served with a thick type of chicken gravy?! My husband was extremely disappointed when he got his order. The pork lo mein was literally the only thing in our order that was good. The hot and sour soup was far too sour and didn't have any veggies. The sweet and sour chicken...the chicken was dry the kids didn't want to touch it. What a waste of almost 80 bucks!
Lisa D — Google review
meh. basic Chinese food. just had my Cashew Chicken delivered but it's mostly celery (lots of celery, weird) and I'm hard pressed to find more than a few cashews (see photo) so I feel kinda ripped off. Oyster chicken wings are good but I won't buy any more entrees after seeing what I got for cashew chicken (should be called 'celery chicken').
Randall O — Google review
I have lived in Duluth for awhile now and I can say that this place easily has some of the better/best Chinese food options in the city if you're not looking to spend a ton of money. The food is pretty good and the service is really consistent. I get a combo for myself each time and the price is really great for what you get. The parking lot and place is a little rundown, but everything else is great here! Compared to other Chinese takeout restaurant's in Duluth this is by far my favorite, their fried rice is easily the best as well!

Crooked Pint Ale House is a laid-back local pub chain that offers an extensive menu for lunch and dinner, featuring craft beers, cocktails, burgers, pot pies, and tacos. The weekend brunch is a must-try with generous portions and a lively atmosphere. While the trendy pub setting may not be ideal for families with kids due to its large bar and TV screens, it's perfect for adults looking to enjoy delicious food and drinks.
Had a little of everything for all in our group. I had the beer cheese soup. Delicious. I wished I had ordered myself garlic French fries to go with it. Good thing my daughter shared.
Terrie D — Google review
First time and last. I'll start with the appetizer. The chips and queso, chips good. Look homemade, taste fresh. The dip was Luke warm with a clump of stale fried jalapeños. Old... Then our meals, the burger was undercooked. My Flatbread was overcooked with tossed on soggy onion crispers/rings. Then the oversized Pretzel, well it was amazing. The cheese sauce tasted grainy/old just awful. Waitress wasn't in our business every second so I liked that but our drinks were empty for quite some time. Orders did come out quick though. Cook in his avocado pants was cool. 1 of your waitresses had no problem arguing with the bartender about something, wasn't exactly great ambiance. We came in around 3:30 so it wasn't really busy,. So I am going to assume maybe you were under staffed or had a lot of to go orders, since our food wasn't so great. Looks nice inside. However the looks of the place and the pretzel are not enough to have us become repeaters.
GiGi L — Google review
My friends and I came here for lunch around 1 PM and ordered the Caprese grilled cheese, the Tot Lucy burger, and the California Lucy. The service and atmosphere were both okay nothing particularly memorable, but nothing bad either. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the food. When the California Lucy arrived, it was just a plain Lucy, missing the toppings that make it the “California” version. When we let the staff know, they brought out a replacement but it was noticeably undercooked. She did not end up eating the uncooked burger patty, she just added the old burger patty to the sandwich with the correct toppings. So overall that made the entire experience disappointing as well as potentially dangerous.
Sophie P — Google review
The nachos were just ok. The Sioux Falls location does them much better. My Old Fashioned was ok too. All around pretty whatever. The bourbon molasses wing sauce is my all time favorite by far. I really like the way they do their boneless wings.
David S — Google review
Excellent meeting friends for drinks, food, and conversation. Good choice on menu for everyone. They even created a special cheeseburger for one of us. Excellently prepared and delivered hot to the table, even though it was a busy time. Wide selection of beer and some special cocktails. Highlight was our server, Chase, who did not hover, but was right with us to answer questions or make suggestions. We stayed much longer than intended. Can’t wait to return.
Skip W — Google review
Monday after the Superbowl. Parking was tricky, but once inside, we were seated at a spacious booth. Inside felt like a typical Ale House/Bar/Club. Few customers, and even fewer workers. However, our server was polite and responsive. Previously reading about their Juicy Lucy burgers had us each ordering one, along with a very tasty appetizer, their Totchos. Basically, this was a jumbo (quite large, as it served us three) tater tot stuffed w/ Serrano peppers, bacon, green onions, and melted cheddar, pepper jack cheese, and sour cream. It was very tasty, and worth ordering! Our Juicy Lucy's, one Jalapeño, a Beer Cheese, and a Wrangler, also were very good, arriving at our booth shortly after our appetizer was finished. I would challenge the advertised half pound of fries, though. Our respective dishes had maybe a quarter pound of fries, each. We also shared a yummy dessert, the Turtle Brownie. This was a fabulous finish to our first visit. While there appear to be several negative reviews by other customers, we have only positive feedback to offer up. We now are loyal, raving fans! We highly recommend Crooked Pint Ale House and know we will be back.

It had been a while since we had been to Crooked Pint and like the many times before, we were not disappointed. We enjoy sitting at their spacious and comfortable bar. Service and food were excellent, really like there Lucy's and they have a nice selection of refreshments on tap to choose from.
Terry G — Google review
My wife and I stopped in recently. Both of our meals were not good. We ordered nachos as an appetizer and the chicken was very dry, it tasted like it was microwaved. For the entrees, she got fish tacos and I got the Jalapeno Lucy. According to the online menu, it says the cod is beer- battered; however, it tasted like it was frozen out of a bag. The Jalapeño Lucy had very hard fried jalapeños- which tasted like they sat out overnight. Overall, not impressed at all.

Took 45 minutes in an empty bar to bring me boneless wings, which looked like they were Costco chicken nuggets. They didn’t even put the sauce on them, they just had cups. Of mediocre sauce for dipping. A shame, seems OP was been going downhill.
Adam C — Google review
The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. The service was slow, but only seen one waitress the whole time we were there. Wraps were eye appealing - Caesar one was decent - buffalo chicken one missed the mark on flavor and being spicy at all. Steak was over cooked - asked for medium, got well done and looked steamed rather than cooked - also was not eye appealing and flavor also missed the mark. Cranberry toast was decent, but the turkey was not pleasant. Cheese curds were very skimpy as far as how many we got and didn't have much flavor. I don't think I would return for a second shot. Other tables seemed to be satisfied with the burgers they got - so maybe their sweet spot is in the burgers vs. some other menu items.
Renee N — Google review
We went there for brunch Sunday. Sat down and waitress got us water, gave us menus and we ordered. We waited an hour and 15 minutes with no one talking to us about where our order was. Everyone in the entire area had their orders taken and no one was served their food including a couple and a group of 3 that were seated when we originally walked in. Nothing! We walked out because it was evident we weren’t getting fed anytime soon. Tough to rate the food. I guess it doesn’t matter. Why seat people if you can’t make the food. Tons of wait staff, no manager and no cooks. 🤪🤪🤪

I wish I would’ve taken a picture but I was starving so I’ll go back to get you guys one eventually. I had a burger with bacon cheese and avocado and it was sooo good as well as fries. My family tried two burgers which were also a hit. Fried pickles were mediocre but sauce was good. Waitress had called out but the bartender was still super nice.

Went there for breakfast on Sunday morning. Was greeted decently quick at our table. Ordered a few drinks, was asked for Ids, handed them to the waitress and she threw them on the table afterwards (1st red flag). We were not checked on for refills (2nd red flag) and wanted to order more drinks. We had to wave down waitress. We then waited for our food for about a hour before again making the effort to track down our waitress to ask about the food (3rd red flag). We asked what was going on. She looked dumbfounded and didn’t know what to say. She said it would be out in 10 minutes. Our last straw was waiting for another 30 minutes and still not getting our food. We decided to pay for our drinks and leave. Unfortunately the service/communication was horrible. Definitely will not be going back. It was embarrassing for my husband and I considering we were hosting our California friend and that’s what they experienced here in MN. We ended up at the Social House who was 5x busier (TOP was not busy at all) and getting our food in about 25-30 mins.

Love the food, but maybe hire more people? 1 person on the line during a lunch rush is not sufficient. Especially when there were like 3 or 4 other people walking around doing other things with a line of customers going around the back of the store. Spent ~20mins waiting to order only to be told that they were out of chicken.

The food was excellent as always. I tried the habanero lime steak and it was very good and it actually was not as hot as I thought it would be which was actually the way I wanted it to be. I enjoy some heat I prefer about medium level heat and I felt this was the right level of heat. The ordering process was a bit chaotic and the atmosphere was a bit busy but not too loud. The staff was working hard and doing their best to provide a good quality experience.

The cafe offers daily specials and a menu featuring both traditional breakfast items and unique culinary creations. Customers praise the excellent food quality, reasonable prices, and friendly service. The warm ambiance makes it an ideal place to savor a leisurely meal.
Let’s break this down into different categories. Atmosphere: It is run like a small town family run cafe, very friendly staff, good lighting, mounted animals and fish taken by the owner, very faint music in the back ground. Nice and clean. Only complaint is it is a little cold in the winter time. Food: Burgers are pretty good, the fries are outta this world. Breakfasts are top line, strongly recommend the steak and eggs. Good coffee. Good coffee is a must for a cafe. Staff: very friendly and outgoing. Offer suggestions and recommendations. Presentable. Overall, strongly recommend for breakfast or lunch (they close at 2). I wish they had a location closer to the north shore.

7/27/2025 On a packed Sunday morning, it took 45 minutes to get breakfast. Despite the three servers, the space was uncomfortably warm, especially for the cooks and servers. The food arrived 45 minutes later, and my eggs over medium were dry, rubbery, and hard to cut through. The staff needs a better working environment, and the cook needs to understand how to cook eggs over medium, over easy, and well done.

Glad to have it here...food gets better and better. Pancakes are full of flavor. One of the best club sandwiches you will find. They use real turkey and ham that are sliced thick... The French fries / JoJo's/potato chips are out of this world and the coolest thing... Worth a trip to go here just to try them.

Great local gem! Great food and fast service. They are more than willing to omit or add substitutions (as long as it doesn't state no subs). The price is very reasonable and I've never had a bad dish. I really like the lunch combinations - large portions for a good price. You'll visit more than once!

The food is great and the staff is super friendly. This is one of the places for Chinese food in Duluth.
Sumanth K — Google review
Well... honestly the food was mediocre at best. They put a lot of filler foods into the dishes so they could use less expensive ingredients, but still charged more. Even their won Tons had less cream cheese. The portion size was good, but I would rather have authentic Chinese. I mean, I am sorry if you enjoy their food, but when they use Vermicelli noodles instead of lo mein noodles in the lo mein dishes... you know it's not authentic. It gets a three star basically because it was all edible and tasted close to the right stuff. However, it's far from authentic and it's not the best food by a long shot.
Erica D — Google review
I haven't been here in 13 years, it's still as good as I remember it. The staff is super friendly. The food out of this world amazing. You have so many choices I really did enjoy the pork fried rice with the sweet and sour chicken. There is a bar next door if you want to get a drink but I really really did enjoy the food. The potstickers were very soft cooked to perfection, they make the gravy for a certain dish fresh every morning it tastes so good. I wish more places would make their food fresh everyday. I highly recommend this place when you can visit. Parking is kind of hard to come by in this area, but this is a great place to eat at.
Emily — Google review
We stopped in with 13 people total and each ordered a few entrees. The service being slow, approximately 45 minutes for food, wasn't surprising because we all ordered different meals, but the quality of the service was not acceptable. We were served each one small cup of water and were never asked for refills or even to have pitchers for the 13 of us until the end of our stay. On top of that, each entree had a complimentary rice bowl, but none of our entrees had it come out until the end of our stay as well. This was all while there was no one else in the restaurant. The only reason there's a star is because their hot tea was good.
James K — Google review
We had our order delivered. The egg rolls were amazing! The new wraps were light and crispy. The chicken in the sweet and saur chicken were dig juicy chunks of chicken, lightly breaded. Not over breaded like most. We really enjoyed our meal and have found our favorite Chinese restaurant!

Ordered their food while I was a patient at Saint Mary's after giving birth. I recommend there sesame chicken and cream cheese wantons. They have great flavor and decent prices. I would definitely order take out from them again.
Shanighnigh — Google review
Ordered delivery. The sesame chicken sauce was on the side which is weird since most Chinese restaurants put it directly on the chicken. The sauce that was on the side was a spicy sweet and sour sauce not sesame chicken sauce at all. The fried rice was undercooked. Finally the egg foo young was floating in sauce yet barely had more than 4 pieces inside. Not satisfied one bit but now I know not to order from here again!

Nestled in the heart of Duluth, "Thai by Thai" is a charming, locally owned eatery that invites you to indulge in authentic Thai cuisine. With a menu brimming with classic dishes like curries and noodles, this petite restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for any dining occasion. Their mission revolves around delivering quality food paired with exceptional service.
We love the food and service. Drunken noodle is my favorite dish and the story behind it is interesting. My kids love fried rice . In general, the restaurant has authentically Asian flavor.
鄭凱元 — Google review
The food: The pad Thai is good (thus the two stars). The yellow curry is the worst I've ever had: greasy, watery and no flavor. I received a tiny carton of rice- probably about 3/4 cup, which would have been nowhere near enough. The spring rolls are mostly dough with a tiny tiny bit of filling. The spring roll sauce is watered down, so not worth the effort to dunk. The service and atmosphere: there is a man working at Thai by Thai who upset my teenage daughter so much that she refuses to return. His demeanor and what he said to her was beyond inappropriate. We will not return.

Nice, quiet restaurant. Lights are always dim and it’s a cozy atmosphere. Not a busy place! Food has always been amazing!! Highly recommend! We get their crab rangoons for an appetizer and then share the chicken fried rice with pad Thai with chicken! Very friendly waitress!
Kaitlyn S — Google review
I brought my daughters here for lunch. We ordered beef pad thai, chicken fried rice, chicken larb extra spicy, and summer rolls (chicken). The summer rolls lacked flavor and wete dried out and shouldn't have been classified as chicken since there was one small piece of chicken out of the two rolls. The chicken fried rice and beef pad Thai were delicious. The chicken larb was heavy on lemon grass, which made it kind of gross. I also ordered extra spicy, and it was mild at best. The portion was really small for the larb. The portions were also a bit small for the other dishes considering the price. Also, as soon as my daughter sat down, the stand gave her a dirty look, which made us feel unwelcome. The wait staff was nice though and the place was clean. I haven't decided if it would be worth returning just yet.

Great find in the middle of town. The food tasted fresh and authentic. There are plenty of choices for all types of thai food, and everything we had tasted great. Good sized portions for the price. The service was nice and friendly. Our dishes came out quickly, and it's a nice atmosphere for dining in.

I think this little Thai restaurant is pretty awesome! We walked in at a little after 6pm on a Wednesday, and the place was completely empty. Why!! The food is so good! Our entrees and appetizers were very good, and the Fried Bananas and Ice Cream dessert was delicious! The service was very good as well. I will definitely be going back here.

Like others mentioned, the restaurant was empty. I was the only one inside. However, I noticed that they were getting a lot of takeout orders. The place is nothing fancy, so I suppose people just don't care for the ambiance. I tried the appetizer sampler because I wanted to try a few things. I didn't want the shrimp rolls, so they allowed me to substitute them for the wings, which I was happy about. The fried spring rolls were tasty but very skinny. I wish they were larger. The chicken wings were a little bland, but perfectly crispy, and paired well with the sauce provided. I was pleasantly surprised by the curry flavor on the chicken satay. It was very good with the peanut dipping sauce. Now for the star of the show... I had the basil fried rice. It was so flavorful and delicious - it was like a party in my mouth. I asked them to tone down the spice just a little, and it was perfect. It was still spicy but not too much. My only wish was to have a larger portion so I could have leftovers. The waitress was friendly, and my food arrived pretty quickly. If I visit Duluth again, I will definitely return.

The outdoor patio seating provides a great atmosphere for enjoying food and beverages. Additionally, the remodeled meeting room adds to the appeal of this spot. Visitors can also enjoy bowling at Incline Bowling Alley while indulging in delicious food from the grill.
Came in on a Wednesday night to watch the Wild. Slow trickle of people in and out. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Only ordered drinks and nacho cheese fries but really good. Want to come back and play in the arcade and bowling!
Mel B — Google review
There’s more than bowling at The Incline Station. The Spot is a separate bar and grill. It’s across from the Radisson where we are staying. Marisa, our bartender provided great service. There’s a full bar with local beers on tap. Good place for large crowds and there’s a patio. Don’t miss this hidden local gem.

This was a fun place for our family to go bowling. There was an arcade and other attractions as well. The pizza was amazing, nice thin crunchy crust, and the place was overall good. Service was great and would recommend going to Spot Sports Bar and Grill.
Joseph C — Google review
Original dinner plan fell through so our family needed a place to get dinner. At 9pm. On a Wednesday. In downtown Duluth. The Spot met our needs perfectly. The server and service were terrific, the options were a cut above normal "bar food" and the (thin) pizza was particularly good. Under different circumstances we probably would not have tried this place, but we are glad we did. Recommended.

About what you would expect for a sports bar that is also part of a bowling alley (Incline Station Bowling Center). Our server (the bartender) was good; quite attentive. However, the duration it took to receive our order was a bit long. Further, the food itself was your typical bar food; it will fill you up but it is not gourmet by any means.

T-Bonz Bar & Grill is a no-frills establishment that offers a variety of comfort food and beers in a casual setting. The Sampler Platter and Cheeseburger Pizza are highly recommended dishes, and the daily specials add to the appeal. The venue features pull tabs, pool table, hunting arcade game, and darts for entertainment. Despite some wear and tear giving it a hole-in-the-wall charm, the friendly staff and quick service make for an enjoyable experience.
My wife and my 2 teenagers stopped in for a late lunch early dinner. We were looking for a local “dive” style bar and this was everything we like. The food was very good! I had the Dago burger with fries, my son had the chicken strips and my wife and daughter shared the combo sampler. All were spot on and delicious. If you are looking for a good bar style food with a friendly atmosphere and quick service this is it!

Bar tender amd food were great. Pull tab seller... that's another story. Went up to purchase tabs and waited for a lady talking to the seller for about 5min or so only to get told the seller was taking a break. To biggie I thought and I told the people in line behind me the same thing. However, the seller moves her "I'm going on break" sign to sell tickets to the man standing behind me in line. Totally against protocol of the gambling license. I chose not to play tabs the remainder of our time there. Food options were amazing and food was great and hot. Pretty much a dive bar away from canal park but, worth the trip for food and drinks.

We order online from doordash. My significant other ordered the fish and fries. The fish she received was burnt to a crisp. 2/7/2025 food was cooked around 11:45am. That food should never have made it to a customer.

The food was to die for and when i wasnt sure what to order for a drink sara asked me what kinds of mixed drinks i like and specialized a drink to my liking and she nailed it! It was the best drink ive had in a bar with a very generous pour so I left feelling full and happy. I will recommend this place to everyone I know. They don't exaggerate when they say best burgers in town. I had the smokehouse burger with chips. So if you want good food good drinks and good vibes stop in to round up.

I've been coming to Duluth for 30+ years and never had a burger this good. Husband had the Blue Cheeseburger and I had a bacon cheeseburger. We eat burgers everywhere and agreed this was one of the best we have had. Doesn't look like much on the outside so do not judge a book by it's cover. Go eat, you won't regret it.

This is the perfect spot for diner style quality food for the price of a local watering hole. The staff is kind and welcoming, without being fake or overbearing. They have everything from steak and eggs for breakfast to fish and chips for dinner. I ordered the house salad and it was huge and freshly chopped to order. I also got the fish and the tarter was perfect. The drinks were not weak, and they made well. When things get back to normal, they have a great kareoke night on the weekend. They also had fx on durring lunch so I could watch a movie while I ate.

Grand Avenue Chalet, Riverside Bar & Grill is a hidden gem at the base of Spirit Mountain, offering a family-friendly menu with appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and specials. The full-service bar serves local and craft beers along with drink specials. It provides an authentic locals feel to the ski hill and offers a variety of tables for dining. While signage could be improved, the food is described as spectacular and substantial in portion size.
This could be a gem of a place - but they need to work on a few things. We didn't know this place was even here! Very poor signage on Grand Avenue at the base of Spirit Mtn. And a welcoming open sign should be facing the dark parking lot. The atmosphere needs to be livened up a bit with staff and vibe. How about a couple of TVs turned on and some music? The food was spectacular, however! A little pricey for this part of town, but everything we had was delicious and substantial in portion size. They did have an excellent beer selection and a full bar. I was surprised that they don't open until 12:00 for lunch (11:30 wouldn't that be better?) but, with staffing shortages and all that goes with it these days, I get it. Keep getting the word out - this place needs to be celebrated and turned into a great neighborhood hang out! We will definitely be back!

Normally I'd give 5 star on everything, because it usually is a 5 star, but unusual Chaos for all (on 1.30.25).. A long table was setup next to the concession & patrons were buying homemade foods (stored in crockpots & bins) from cookies to chili from a group? While 70% of people passed the restaurant & 90% passed concession to go to table to buy food & snacks. Never a seen group before able to compete in sales against spirit mountain @ spirit mountain. Poor concession girls looked so defeated. I was going to make a purchase from them, but too many people blocking access to them as they were in line to purchase from table.

Great place to grab food or a cold beverage at the end of hiking/biking. Priced at a great value. Right at the base ofthe ski hill, the main lift was in full operation taking folks/bikes to the top of the hill.

Sorry, we have not eaten at the chalet, but it is so convenient for going skiing at Spirit Mountain. We noticed the other day almost every table was filled & our friend ordered a delicious wrap there. The chalet has many tables in an area away from thd restaurant, and big picture windows to view the ski hill. A woman in a wheel chair was sitting near thd windows & enjoyed watching the skiiers. I believe the lower challenge has better menu items and a nicer dining area to sit in.

We had a late lunch here today. It was spectacular. My burger was absolutely excellent! The wait staff was spectacular. I still feel really bad though. I looked at our bill, putt the money plus tip and my family wandered out. Luckily the waitress picked it up pretty quickly. It seems that I accidentally forgot a $10 bill I thought I left. I felt so terrible, and I want to apologize again. I’m so sorry. We will definitely be back sometime. Anyway, it was a spectacular meal to end our vacation.

We stayed here for two nights to do the Northshore Scenic Drive. The hotel has been renovated and rooms are nice but bathrooms still needed a lot of work. We had a corner suite and bathroom was tiny with a giant dated yellowing jacuzzi tub in the bathroom that made an awful noise when you stood on it. The room was nicely updated but didn’t feel especially clean especially the floors. The location was really the stand out thing about it. We had a beautiful view of the water and could see the lift bridge and ships coming in.
Laura G — Google review
I love this hotel. I come every year around late September for a week. Its central location to the tourist spots makes it easy to walk everywhere. It is also the perfect location for driving up the shore, or going to inland lakes and trails. They recently renovated their rooms and the renovations are very nice and upscale. The service and genuine hospitality of the staff is the real stand out though. There is a real passion to care for and about their guests, no matter who you talk with at the hotel. Don't pass on eating in the bar/restaurant. The chef keeps the menu fresh and seasonal. Currently their braised pork shank with seasonal risotto (butternut squash and apples) is one of the best meals I have had while traveling. If you are fortunate enough to be there when Melissa is the bartender, you will be in for a real treat. Parking is in a garage behind the hotel and requires a short walk through a skyway, down a floor in an elevator to enter the hotel. I believe the current rate is $8/day. This doesn't bother me and its nice to know that my car is in a secure lot. They have updated the entrance protocol to a camera that takes a picture of your license plate to let you in, getting rid of the old ticket system, which is very convenient. The club lounge on the 6th floor is awesome and available 24/7. They serve breakfast and also do a food happy hour as well. There is a stocked fridge with bottled water, sodas, etc and a fresh grind coffee machine that makes amazing coffee drinks. Great value to be in the heart of Duluth!

Great location! Last minute stop and very accommodating for myself and my dog. The staff was very welcoming and non judgmental for having tattoos and looking like a less unfortunate person from being on a very long trip while on a road trip to Montana. Worth the price! Worth the stop! I will return!

Parking is awful. You have to park in a ramp behind the hotel and walk through skyways to get to your room. We had dogs with us and it was a nightmare. Park in a parking ramp at an additional $8 per day, walk through skyways, take an elevator downstairs, cut across the lobby to another bank of elevators that takes you to rooms. There are no stairs and one of the elevators was out of order so there was only 1 elevator for use. There is no place to take your dog potty. We had to walk behind the parking ramp to the other side of the building to find grass. Pet friendly rooms are dismal. The coffee maker broke during use and the bathroom light broke, which is a strip of LED lights so it could not be repaired during our stay. The lights blinked like a strobe light. Upon checking out a fee of $75 marked as “addition income” was added to my bill and the front desk had no idea what the charge was. They had to call accounting to get it removed and I still wasn’t told what the charge was for. Staff was very nice, that’s why it is 2 stars rather than 1.

We stayed here with our 3-month-old! The staff were very accommodating and kind, the location is close enough to the lakefront to take daily walks, but also has convenient parking when you need to drive. We will stay again when we return to Duluth.

Nestled near the scenic Lakewalk by Leif Erickson Park in Duluth, it’s an ideal spot for families and couples alike. The ambiance is romantic yet laid-back, making it perfect for any occasion.
Valentini’s is fantastic - we had a super lunch and met the owner - Carol - what a wonderful person! No wonder this place is so good - we also met one of the relatives that is a manager so this is truly a family run place. The food was fantastic - the Italian Egg Rolls were fantastic as was Penne aka Vodka and the Tortellini ala Valentini. Go Eat! You’ll thank me!

Artichoke dip and Bolognese pasta were great. Loaded with flavor! Fettuccine alfredo and chicken was okay, two bland for our taste. If you're thinking about ordering it I would ask for a sample of the Alfredo sauce. You could tell everything was homemade, no pre-processed food here.
Gail J — Google review
There’s good and bad. First, yes, the food is very good, no doubt about that. You could see in the pictures that I ordered the meatball, fried ravioli, wine, etc. This part is to the ownership: you dropped the ball tremendously with the ambience, specifically the music. If you’re going to play music loud, make sure it’s fitting music or at least songs that are tolerable. Instead, people should be prepared for B-level songs from the 1950s. It literally felt like we were sitting in a 1950s diner with Buddy Holly and that kind of music playing. I’ve written 100 reviews, and I’m being very straightforward here. I rarely ever leave a bad review, but this was that bad. Music sets the atmosphere, and I can’t be the only person who felt this way. As owners of an Italian restaurant, I’m sure you’ve visited many Italian restaurants yourselves. Have you ever once heard that kind of music playing? Why would you do that? You completely missed the mark.

Fantastic! From out of town and came on a recommendation. The menu has so many great options. The lasagna was incredible. Service was solid and the prices are very reasonable. Sammy's Pizza & Restaurant - Downtown is a beloved family-owned establishment that has been a staple in Duluth, MN since 1956. They are known for using the freshest ingredients and a secret mix of seasonings in their homemade sauce. In addition to classic pizzas, they offer an extensive menu featuring pastas, subs, burgers, stromboli, broasted chicken, soups, and salads.
This place passed the vibe check with flying colors. From the warm greeting at the door to the ultra-clean dining room, this place was magical. I'm in Duluth and I walk into a random pizza place. The first thing I see is a group of guys flipping pizza dough as they greet me. I walk past a UFC fight on the TV, sit down, and order a pizza. While I'm waiting, I'm watching a fight and realize they have beer on tap. It feels like being in an authentic family-owned pizza shop in New York in the best way. When the pizza came I was blown away. The pizza was perfectly cooked so there were tiny little black spots on the bottom of their freshly made crust, giving the pizza just the smallest hint of char. The sausage looked homemade, not like the little frozen nuggets we are all used to with big brands. The cheese topping balance was perfect. The oven was clean because I tasted no smoke. Everything you could want in a pizza place can be found here. They treat their customers like friends who've come over to eat pizza, drink beer, and watch the game. Forget a welcoming atmosphere, I felt at home. This place is run well and the manager should be very proud. If I could give more than five stars I would, and if I'm ever in Duluth again, I'm going back.

Definitely a good Italian pizza made by a crew that's been doing this together for a long time, the camaraderie of the team and the diligent follow-up of the guy that is either the manager or owner was impressive and made sure they run a tight ship. The Pizza is cooked on a stone and has a magnificent crust. I was less impressed with the sausage it was llacking enough fennel and didn't have a real strong Italian flavor) but the pepperoni was cooked perfect and cuped into a nice crisp crusts on the outer edges. Good food, fast friendly service.

Fantastic delivery service! Awesome driver with the fun snowman up front!! Unfortunately it took 1.5 hours to go a few blocks (I get it dinner rush!) but our food was not as great. We’ve eaten years and years worth of Sammy’s. It’s a families favorite. This time, The sauce on the pizza was bland, watery and thin as heck! I’m wondering if they changed the recipe 😞The crust was sad and burnt and the garlic bread was burned too :/ this “meal” costed $45!! Definitely not worth it this time. We’ve spent so much money, time and memories eating at this restaurant and ordering from them. We are giving it 1 more chance to prove the quality and worthiness of our $ for pizza. Otherwise we are done :( “yes the sauce tasted like dominos!” quoted from grandma.

Pretty gazz pizza. The service was great and everyone super friendly. We got the pesto pizza and it was very good all around. A cheezy pizza, the pizza bottom was a little flimsy; not hard or dry and the crust was perfect and flaky. We got some spaghetti and fettuccine Alfredo . I have to say the spaghetti was kind of mid and the fettuccine too. Just seemed like the sauces weren’t quality.

Awesome sandwiches for really great prices. The owner was super friendly and we loved the seating upstairs. Definitely my new lunch spot to stop at in Duluth

This is the best eating deal in Duluth! The bread is baked fresh the menu is simple and the options are tasty. The prices are unbelievable! It's hard to find good food let alone delicious affordable food.

We were looking for a place to grab a quick bite before driving back to the Twin Cities when I saw this place was recommended on Google. Took a look at the menu and turned to my friend to say, “I have a feeling this place is gonna be fantastic.” This place had the vibe of a small on-the-go meal place you would find on a college campus, but with amazing food and super reasonable prices. The food was phenomenal. The wait was a little longer than expected but still fast for the amount of work going into it. Everything we got was made to order and you could hear this dude doing the most in the kitchen. I hope that the next time I’m in Duluth, this business has expanded into whatever the owner has dreamed for it. I would not be surprised if the prices have gone up to help the business grow, but with prices that affordable, it’s hardly something to complain about.

Staff was very friendly. The food was tasty and inexpensive. A sandwich and chips was about $7 for good quality meat, cheese and bread. I’d eat here again!

My go to place for lunch during work. Can’t beat the price, Can’t beat the service. Excellent

Good sandwiches for a good price, the Philly Dilly has a good mix of steak, green onions, caramelized onions, and cheese

Big open space with plenty of seating for large or small groups. Wide range of sandwiches with quite a few vegetarian options. Sandwiches are delicious and thier clever use of ingredients makes for a great flavor profile. Prices are amazing!!
