1Huong's Chicken rice - Sica alleyway

Vietnamese restaurant
Restaurant
Huong's Chicken Rice, located in Sica alleyway, is a must-visit for food enthusiasts in Vietnam. The eatery specializes in Com Ga, a traditional dish featuring rice cooked in chicken stock and turmeric, mixed with shredded chicken, crushed onion, and Vietnamese spices. This local favorite has gained popularity among tourists as well. Additionally, the French-influenced Banh mi sandwiches are also a highlight here.
The best Pho Soup I have in the Hoi An. All the ingredients are so good. We had 1 bowl including everything and 1 pork. Extremely delicious.
Emma C — Google review
I ordered Cơm Gà. The lady said price is 50,000 VND. I agreed because I thought I would get a good amount of food for that price. But unfortunately, there was very little thinly shredded chicken and only one piece of skin, some vegetables and little amount of rice. I wish they would increase the amount of chicken in the dish if they are charging 50,000 VND. I left unsatisfied. The good part of the dish is that the chilli sauce they give with the rice makes the taste much better. I would just suggest they either decrease the price if they serve this quantity of chicken or they should increase the amount of chicken if they are going to charge 50,000 VND.
Sunny B — Google review
This was not Chicken rice I wanted. I didn’t check any reviews before I came here. It’s my fault. They served uncooked rice … not just hard ..and it was oily. The price was 50.000vnd. After here I went to another place directly to check Com Ga Hoian again. It was 40.000 with a small cup of soup. Of course rice was cooked well at the another shop.
M J — Google review
The food was delicious but I found some of the rice uncooked. The salad on the side was good but I'm not a fan of coriander so I picked them out. Chicken was okay. Chilli sauce is a must :)
Angelina S — Google review
Located at the alley, atmosphere is not much, but the cơm gà is outstanding. Served with fresh mint and coriander, their spicy sauce is to die for.
Rashmi G — Google review
Bun cha! Mmmm so lovely, best I had in Vietnam 😍 very local feel, not many tourists around, a lovely hidden spot ;)
J S — Google review
Pricing seems to be a little inconsistent here (we paid 50k while some others seem to pay less), but I didn't feel like I was skimped for 50k. The portion was big and there was lots of chicken. It was also served with a small side of chicken stock with pieces of liver which was good. Girlfriend got the Cao Lao which was very good and was 30k. I'd go back here again and think people should chill a little. You can find cheaper Com Ga, but the portions are much smaller. Depends on what you want I suppose.
John A — Google review
Our first mistake was not confirming the price before we ordered. Assumed 25-35k (if a good portion size) but was asked for 40k when we paid. The dish itself had a pitiful amount of chicken on it, so basically a plate of rice with some onion on the side. Only getting 2 stars because we met a cool Spanish guy there.

Vietnamese restaurant
Cơm Gà Bà Buội is a renowned family-owned eatery in Hoi An, serving authentic chicken rice since the 1950s. For VND 35,000, patrons can savor a bowl of clear soup alongside fragrant rice topped with generous portions of shredded village chicken, fresh herbs, black pepper, and chili jam. The restaurant's bright yellow exterior makes it easily recognizable and it's just a short walk from the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge.
There are many chicken rice places in Hoi An. But this one is the best one in the city. The soup is light and savory, sugarcane juice is delicious, the chicken rice is great!! Highly recommend!
Food 8 — Google review
Overall taste good! Chicken is local chicken which the meat is firm! We like it. Just order the set and enough for two persons.
LimKoppi — Google review
Although this was a famous restaurant known for their chicken rice, I was a little disappointed at how plain everything was. The locals recommended us to try, but I guess not everything would be as good as I thought. It was more of an experience. The rustic chairs, the old tables, and the view, somewhat nostalgic, but of course I would always go for the food and the quality of it. Maybe it wasn’t as good to me. One of my other pet peeves was the chopsticks were placed in the holder upside down, so make sure you really wipe down the chopsticks well ( who knows what’s at the bottom of that little holder). Other than that, the food was ok. Nothing impressive to say the least.
Tee W — Google review
The so call famous Vietnam Hoi An chicken rice, perhaps, the taste not suitable to me and I think the chicken rice not much delicious. The chicken meat tasted like overcooked. Overall, not having good food experience in this stall but could be well praised by the local.
LOO J — Google review
After reading the conflicting reviews, I decided to dine at this place for my own opinions. I didn’t appreciate the food. I really don’t think that it deserves the hype.Disappointing. Food was not good and expensive for what you get. The chicken was mainly bones and very hard to chew and the portion was small and paid 200k. Definitely would not recommend.
Prakash N — Google review
At lunch time, We visited the famous local spot, Cơm Gà Bà Buội, for lunch in the afternoon. The rice was really good and the food overall was delicious. However, I should mention, this place is always crowded! If you’re not comfortable eating in a busy, noisy environment where people might glance at you (especially as a foreigner out of curiosity), then maybe it’s not for you. But for me, it was worth it. The atmosphere felt very local, the food was authentic, and I enjoyed the experience despite the crowd. Sometimes good food comes with a little chaos!
Marcus — Google review
The food here is overrated. It can’t hold a candle to the Singapore Chicken Rice. Ordered the simple plate for 1 person. The rice was not that fragrant, the tumeric yellow color was interesting. There were a few small pieces of chicken liver, chicken shred which was so dry and tasteless. There was free carrots shred, a bowl of soup and some green vegetables. I enjoyed the coconut water as the weather was so hot outside. The best about this place is not the food but the AIR-Con.
Su Y — Google review
Simple chicken dishes, minimal processed food, high quality ingredients. If you prefer firm meat chicken, you will like it here, it’s local vietnamese chicken, the meat is quite firm fiy

Hoi An's chicken rice is a renowned local specialty that has become synonymous with the city. The dish features tender cuts of chicken served with fragrant, yellow-hued rice that has been stir-fried with garlic and turmeric before being steamed in seasoned water used to boil the chicken. This unique preparation method, along with locally sourced ingredients, gives Hoi An Chicken Rice its distinctive rich and buttery flavor.

It’s like a Hainanese Chicken Rice except that it doesn’t have any hint of ginger. For a price of $1.21, it’s not satisfying. The soup is not hot, the chicken taste bland for me. The place is just okay...
Pau T — Google review
(Translated by Google) First of all, it just stood there for over 5 minutes and didn't take any orders. It's unfriendly. I wanted to go there because I heard the restaurant next door had delicious ribs. It's not open because it's a holiday, so I had no choice. 35k per serving Just put some sauce and vegetables on rice with a little chicken on top. The amount of chicken was small and the meat was a bit dry so it was just not good. Since it is a local restaurant, hygiene is not very good!

The restaurant operates in three distinct spaces within the family home, offering a comfortable and authentic dining experience. Highly recommend. Superb dishes with delicious broth and hot sauce; also everything is extremely clean, haven’t seen such a well-kept casual / local restaurant on our entire trip! Enjoyed the quiet after being in noisy streets.

I had the Char Siu Chicken Rice. It’s full of flavour and a great portion size. Very friendly and they are a cute dog. It’s away from the main road so not noisy, very peaceful
Enoh I — Google review
I’ve got to give this place a 5 for food because it was a delicious plate of chicken rice. We ordered the classic chicken rice which came with some shredded chicken, blood, liver and kidney, as well as a vegetable side and soup. Along with it we got a Char Siew chicken leg that was salty and umami. I also ordered the cinnamon lemon tea that was really refreshing
Annabelle L — Google review
Cute little restaurant hidden away from the main roads. Welcoming lady and her little friendly dog. We ordered two different types of chicken rice to share: the traditional one and the chicken wings one. Not pretty tasty. The menu is pretty simple and they have an English version too. Good selection of fresh juices too.
Alessandra D — Google review
Nice portion of com ga (chicken rice) and friendly staff (little friendly dog was a bonus!). Great value and clean too.
Narmadha K — Google review
Tucked in the laneways of Hoi An, away from the busy streets. Shredded chicken and char siu chicken rice was flavourful! Bonus plus was we had the place to ourselves during late dinner
Marie C — Google review
We love the chasiu chicken rice. Taste so good. Have to try it when you come here. It's inside the small alley but it's worth to try. It's homey atmosphere like you've been invited to eat at your friends place, on a terrace. 🤭🤭
Christina E — Google review
Different kind of chicken rice which I am used to. If you want to try go for the shredded chicken & glizzards rice, or the fried chicken thigh (it is a bit tough but still ok). The meat of the chicken leg with white skin was really really tough I had so much difficulty eating it and nearly choked. Had to abandon eating it. In my opinion, if you want to try just go for the shredded chicken rice Total bill around 280,000 for 3 chicken rice.

When exploring the culinary landscape of Hoi An, one cannot overlook Chicken Rice Ms. Lam, a hidden gem favored by locals. While it may not be on every tourist's radar, this eatery serves up chicken rice that rivals more renowned establishments in town. Diners rave about its simplicity and balance of flavors; each bite is a delightful experience enhanced by chicken stock and giblets.
The best chicken rice in Hoi An. The chili sauce is so good. I love it so much, come back here again because of it 🥰🥰
Nhung T — Google review
Cheap chicken rice at reasonable price! Only few tables but saw many locals her. The price for chicken rice is about 35k. You should order the chicken salad as well. huge portion about 135k. A bit of long queue but waiting time is about 10-15 minutes.
Ha N — Google review
I was on a tour and the guide stopped here. A solid chicken and rice spot. It was delicious and quick, got busy fast also. The chicken was delicious along with the rice. It was a great dish overall and for the price it was well worth it. It’s in a nice spot that’s great for people watching also. I’d definitely come back here again in the future.

Found this place in Google. The chicken rice is not great. 40,000 vnd for a place. You can get better chicken rice in Malaysia or Singapore.
Nancy T — Google review
The homemade chilli sauce here is divine. If I wasn’t leaving Danang so soon I would have asked her to sell me about 5kg of the stuff so I could have it with everything !! The chicken and race was good, and the broth it came with, which you can mix with the rice was super delicious.
Curtis B — Google review
This was my last meal during a 3 week stay in Vietnam and it was absolutely perfect. This is one is those dishes that you can eat over and over and over again and it’ll never get old. It’s simple. None of the flavors are overbearing. They serve it with chicken stock + giblets to amp it up. Add a dash of lime and chili paste with a beer on the side and you’re in heaven. It’s usually packed with locals so do yourself a favor and get in there. Very cheap. Didn’t seem like the owners spoke English, which was no problem.

(Translated by Google) The restaurant was crowded on Saturday night, so I ordered 3 chicken rice dishes, the staff said they were all gone and suggested ordering 1 plate of shredded chicken and 1 plate of egg rice. Three people ate quite a lot. Salad: The chicken was delicious, the chicken was just mixed and not yet soaked. It would be better if it had chicken broth. 2 dishes (shredded chicken + rice) + 1 coconut for 360k, which is reasonable in a tourist area. The service was quite fast. A place worth experiencing. (Original) Quán đông khách tối thứ 7 nên gọi 3 suất cơm gà thì nhân viên nói hết và gợi ý đặt 1 đĩa gà xé và 1 đĩa cơm trứng non. Ba người ăn khá nhiều. Món gỏi: Thịt gà thơm ngon, mới trộn thịt gà chưa ngấm. Gias cos its nước canh gà thì OK hơn. 2 đĩa (gà xé+cơm) +1 quả dừa hết 360k là phải chăng ở nơi du lịch. Phục vụ khá nhanh. Địa điểm nên trải nghiệm.

Quan Trung Chicken Rice, also known as Com Ga Hoi An, is a must-try specialty when visiting the ancient town of Hoi An. The dish features yellow-colored rice, white shredded chicken, and fresh green vegetables. Mr. Trung has been cooking at this spot for over 30 years and his place is popular among both locals and tourists. Visitors can enjoy delicious Cao Lau and duck soup stock served in a bustling street corner atmosphere alongside friendly locals.
Best cao lao I had in hoi an. Went back two days in a row. Chicken rice and duck congee also incredible. Some of the best food I had in hoi an. Trung is so nice and friendly. He says he has been doing this for 30 years. It really shows!
Braden C — Google review
Chú Trung’s Chicken Rice is a hidden gem you definitely need to try when you’re in town! The food is delicious, with that authentic, homey flavor that you can only find at local spots. It’s super affordable too — we had two plates of chicken rice plus an extra portion of chicken, and the total was just around 100,000 VND! The setup is simple and casual, with seating right on the sidewalk, giving it a very local and laid-back vibe. Just a heads-up: you should bring cash because Chú Trung doesn’t accept bank transfers. He usually sells pretty late into the evening, so it’s perfect if you’re looking for a tasty, budget-friendly meal after a busy day. If you want real local flavors at a great price, don’t miss Chú Trung’s!

Delicious chicken and rice. We had both the shredded and fried chicken plates which were filling, extremely tasty and very reasonably priced. Also had the ginger tea. Loaded with ginger, dates and goji berries, the perfect drink to cap your meal. Highly recommend!

Chanced upon this place. We were looking to try some Hoi An chicken rice and this place ticked our boxes. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic about showing us how to eat their chicken rice. It felt like a salad where you seasoned it with sauce and chilli to your liking, then mix everything up. We are not entirely sure what’s the difference between regular chicken rice and special chicken rice. The chicken vermicelli soup was also delicious, add the fresh veggies to your liking and mix everything up. Fruit juice was available from the coffee store next door. Prices were super affordable and people very warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for the local experience. A short 5-10min walk from the Old Town - but without the hordes of tourists invading your personal space.

Large space with plenty of seating. Friendly & helpful staff. The menu specialises in varieties of chicken rice both steamed & roasted, was the best chicken rice I have had in Vietnam! So tasty!! Plenty of choices of side dishes, we enjoyed kimchi together with the complimentary homemade sambal.

Cơm gà Ty is a renowned dish that originated centuries ago in Hoi An, a bustling city along the sea trade route between the West and Asia. This flavorful chicken rice dish is celebrated for its perfect blend of ingredients, satisfying even the most discerning palates. Cơm gà Ty's appeal also lies in its ability to adapt to the changing seasons.
Best quang noodles I’ve had in Hoi An. Ridiculously good, fast and cheap!

I recently visited here and ordered the Hoi An chicken rice, but overall, my experience was not very good. First, the taste of the chicken rice was disappointing and didn’t meet my expectations. It lacked the flavor I was hoping for. The service also needs improvement. The staff were not very attentive, and it took about 15 to 20 minutes to get our food. The restaurant was very crowded, so I think they should either increase the number of staff or limit the number of customers. The place was very noisy, but since it’s a local spot, I didn’t mind. However, other customers might find the noise bothersome. For foreign visitors, please don’t think this Hoi An chicken rice represents the local standard. There are many other good restaurants around worth trying. Additionally, I recommend choosing a dish with pulled chicken meat rather than chunked chicken if you come here by accident, because the chicken had a lot of bone pieces, which made it difficult to eat.

A must-try if you’re in the area — a soothing, warm bowl of chicken congee for just 30K VND. It’s tasty, comforting, and brimming with that nostalgic grandma’s home-cooked flavor. Incredibly affordable and excellent value for money. It’s no surprise this spot is always packed with locals — that’s exactly what drew me here in the first place when I was walking by. An absolute delight, and easily my pick for the #1 hidden gem in Hoi An. This shop accepts cash or the local QR payment method.

We came here for dinner at a recommendation of the staff at cơm gà bà buội. We were disappointed because the rice was dry and not moist and fluffy. The chicken was decent. The plus side is the owner was very friendly.

Probably the worst meal we had in Vietnam. Not awful, just very plain. I ordered the my quang and I think they gave me something different as it was just dry chicken bones in broth and noodles. Wouldn’t recommend

Hoi An Heart Restaurant is highly recommended for its culinary expertise and beautiful presentation. The ambiance is delightful, and the attentive staff aim to please all guests. Despite being a bit niche, the prices are justified by the effort put into each dish. A large bottle of apricot wine, 2 appetizers, 5 main courses, and a shared dessert for 5 people left everyone satisfied without breaking the bank.
A true gem on the Thu Bon River! This small, warm restaurant is a natural paradise with an incredible view. Every dish was a highlight, from the fresh Salad and crispy Banh Xeo to the tender Bamboo Grill Beef and decadent Ice Cream Banana Rum. The service is as wonderful as the food. A perfect five-star experience from start to finish.

My partner and I found some AC refuge in this restaurant after wasting away in the heat for a few hours. We were greeted quickly, everyone was very friendly. My partner got the Chicken and Rice, and I got the Hoi An Banh Xeo. Both dishes were really good! The star of the show was our server Sunny, she made our experience much more interesting as she talked with us and we shared photos with her of some of our previous adventures. Thanks Sunny and thanks to the Heart for some great food and giving us a place to rest and get some strength back.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! 😍 My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and had the most amazing experience from start to finish! We were served by Misa and Thu, and honestly, they are the sweetest people ever! 🥰 They chatted with us, shared great local tips about Hoi An, and gave us the best food recommendations, we instantly felt so welcome. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Huge compliments to the chef! 👏🏻 The atmosphere is magical, especially with a view of the Lantern Boat Ride right in front of you, so romantic and peaceful. ✨ We left with full hearts (and stomachs)! 💕 Highly, highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Hoi An. Make sure you add this restaurant to your list. This place was amazing, our highlight of Hoi An. the food was delicious, presented perfectly and all the flavours melding together in perfect harmony. We enjoyed the white roses and the black pepper beef in bamboo. The cocktails some of the best we have had on our trip. The service given by Thu was fantastic as were all the staff there. Highly recommended!

Great find. Doesn’t look so much from the street but the air conditioned main dining area is upstairs overlooking the river. Be sure to make a booking to secure a window seat overlooking the flotilla of lantern boats. The Vietnamese menu is simple but adequate and the service is quick. The food is excellent. Lovely surrounds and friendly helpful English speaking local staff. Very enjoyable way to spend our last night in Hoi An.

We had a nice time, trying the local dishes. MiSa and Sunny were very helpful In introducing the local dishes, especially the chicken rice, the banh xeo, cao Lau, and My Quang.
Brandon C — Google review
Heart of Hoi An Restaurant truly lives up to its name – a hidden gem nestled along the riverside with a serene view of the little Vietnamese fishing boats drifting by. The setting alone is reason enough to visit, but the food takes the experience to another level. We enjoyed a selection of local specialties, each one fresh and full of flavour. The fresh spring rolls were light and vibrant, bursting with herbs and served with a perfectly balanced dipping sauce. The white rose dumplings were delicate and beautifully presented – soft, translucent parcels that melted in the mouth. And the highlight of the meal, the Cao Lau, was everything you’d hope for from this iconic Hoi An dish: chewy noodles, crisp pork, fresh greens, and that unmistakable smoky flavour unique to the region. Service was warm and attentive, the atmosphere relaxed, and the prices more than fair for the quality. Whether you’re looking to soak in the peaceful riverside charm or savour authentic Hoi An cuisine, Heart of Hoi An is a must-visit. Five stars without hesitation.

Cơm gà Nga, also known as Ba Nga Chicken Rice, is a popular dining spot on Phan Chu Trinh street in Hoi An. It stands out with its rich and flavorful chicken rice, making it a favorite among diners. Run by the renowned Vietnamese cook Madame Nga, this eatery comes highly recommended for its well-marinated and delicious chicken rice.
Very local feel - mostly Vietnamese and packed - that’s always a good sign. I ordered the chicken salad with papaya. It was HUGE. A lot of chicken - well flavored. The service is straightforward: you see a table, you grab it, and they give you a menu to choose (English & Vietnamese). I don’t speak a word of Vietnamese and the waiter boy’s English is good enough. 🥰
Jessy — Google review
Big portions and friendly, helpful staff. We 2 people had a small chicken salad (200k), small rice (30k), 2 coconuts (30k/each). They were delicious. And much bigger portions than Com ga ba Buoi, better seating as well.
Ha N — Google review
I'm gonna give this 4 stars because I feel they gave us one look and decided to charge us the white person rate. I happened to sit by locals and got a quick glimpse of their menu, and found prices a bit different. I asked the employee she came back with because the food portions are bigger. I was like ummmm no it's not. She tried to do it again, my Vietnamese neighbors were giggling and smiled, then said, yes prices are different for us locals. Yeah so, while the food was absolutely delicious, I was a bit bothered about it the price, yes, it's so cheap in comparison but it's the principle. Though in Hawaii, we do have a Kama'aina rate that only locals get so that's fair. Food was great though, damn it, now I'm still gonna have to come back.
All O — Google review
We came here on a local’s recommendation, and was the first meal in Hoi An. We were seated very quickly and placed our orders (1 chicken rice, 1 cau lau) right away. Then, we sat and waited, and saw plates of food being served to tables that arrived after us. We seemed like the only English speakers there. After another 10 minutes, we reached out to ask about our food and after being ignored by several people, the lady at the front came to tell us what we ordered were sold out. At that point we had seen many plates of chicken rice being served (even as she spoke) and knew that wasn’t true. We asked for our food again and only then were we served a plate of chicken rice and a pork noodle (not cau lau). The chicken portion on the rice was small and we saw the table next to us had more chicken. We were so tired and frustrated at that point we just ate, paid, and left within 5 minutes. This was such a let down, and left a terrible impression of Hoi An. For a town that seems to thrive in tourism, why treat tourists and foreigners with such disrespect and obvious discrimination? The locals dining there clearly did not have the same experience as us. Needless to say, we cannot recommend this place to foreigners - and maybe this is what the restaurant wants, for us to stay away. Such a shame as it could have been a great, authentic experience, but was just a disappointing meal.
Rebecca W — Google review
The chicken salad strikes a great balance between the tender chicken and fresh herbs. Even the broken rice on its own is full of flavor, but paired with the chicken salad, it’s easily one of the best combinations. The place can be a bit chaotic, but that only adds to its rustic charm and overall dining experience.
G W — Google review
Too crowded in weekend. Not recommend for foreigners because too hard for them to order. Nice view to see Hoi An ancient town

Hands down one of the best meals of our lives! We’ve eaten at Michelin star restaurants, and plenty of Pre Fixe dinners and would eat here 10x before another of those. My wife makes AMAZING com ga, but unfortunately, this tops it. We decided we will come back to Hoi An just for their Com Ga Xe long $80kd. We took it to go back to our hotel, and loved it just the same. Amazing food!!
Ryan S — Google review
Chicken salad is amazing! Refreshing with the mix of veggies and herbs, complimented by the aromatic salty sauce. Cau lau is also very good. Super big portion for the “small” size. People who gave bad reviews seemed unlucky but the server was super nice to us and gave suggestions to order small portions because we wouldn’t be able to finish bigger ones and if we ordered more food. Love the food!

Restaurant
Cơm Gà Hiền is a popular restaurant in Hoi An, known for its limited opening hours from 6 PM to around 8:30 PM, attracting mostly locals. The place gets busy early, and it's recommended to arrive before they run out of food. Located at 186 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, the restaurant serves a delicious chicken rice dish that draws a rush of locals starting at 4 PM.
It has a small menu and very straightforward — chicken with rice or chicken with soup. For the price I paid, I have no complaints. Chicken is tasty, the plate is flavored with herbs, and there’s a spice rack if you want some kick to your meal. Customers here, mostly locals, come and go. They eat and they go, as straight forward as that. Tables are turned over quickly and staff are very efficient.
Ian D — Google review
Recommended to us by a local for chicken rice, we went here and tried a number of chicken dishes including the boneless chicken salad and rice, and bone-in chicken. Flavours were surprisingly good even though the chicken felt a bit scarce at times with the skinny Vietnamese yellow skin chicken. Prices are OK, but mainly the chicken rice is the value meal with the plain chicken and chicken salad being a fair bit more expensive (and I preferred these over the heavy rice dish).
Adrian M — Google review
We arrived around 7pm. Ordered 2 chicken rice (40k each) and one chicken salad (130k). No price on the menu - chicken rice arrived without chicken. We had to ask them what happened and they just laughed and added the chicken after (see pictures). To be fair : It was pretty tasty - chicken salad is spicy (no problem for me). However, the pieces of chicken are very poor. Only bones with almost no meat left on them. Seems very pricey for Vietnam. I don't recommend it really. Overall, felt like we got scam because it was the end of the day and they just gave us the leftovers. We saw the shop staff eating at a nearby table a lot of chicken. Atmosphere was unpleasant

Recommended by locals. Rice was cooked to perfection and tasted really good. Chicken was lean hence slightly more chewy than what we usually eat at our home country, but it has a very good flavour. No price on the menu. We paid 200k vnd for 2 chicken rice & 1 chicken salad.

Cơm Gà bà Thuận is a simple yet delightful restaurant hidden away from the main street, attracting both locals and visitors. The menu offers only three items: two chicken and rice dishes (shredded and chopped) and a chicken salad. The space is spacious and comfortable, with a no-frills decor that adds to its charm. The chili sauce served here is particularly noteworthy, adding an extra kick to the meal. Prices are affordable, making it a popular choice among locals.
Very delicious Com Ga, and a friendly grandma, highly recommended. We paid 230k for the Com Ga and the Nom Ga + soup

The food is nice but be careful because there’s no price and when it’s time to pay they’ll charge you unreasonable price. We got asked 120k for the chicken salad which to me sounds way overpriced for something that I thought would cost 60-65k. The chicken rice is 35k, serving is not big but it’s very nice. Overall the food is nice but confirm the price before ordering the food to avoid surprises.

The chili sauce is LIFTED. Do not offer sweet fish sauce as other places, only soy sauce and chili sauce. Tried soy sauce at first, boring. Then try the chili sauce, hands down hidden gem here. Do check price yourself since menu is vnese, chicken rice is 40kvnd but chicken salad without rice is 120kvnd intended for sharing. Eng seems to be difficult to the owner.
Tín Đ — Google review
The food is okay, not too good but not too bad. The price is reasonable (40k). But it is super hot when I dined in here.
Nguyen Q — Google review
Simple and satisfying! This place is hidden away from the main street. It seems that many locals frequent this place too. They only have 3 items on the menu, two dishes with chicken and rice (one shredded chicken and the other chopped), and a chicken salad. I cannot speak to the chopped chicken, but both the shredded chicken and salad were delicious. Add some of the hot sauce in oil and soy sauce and you won't be disappointed. There are no prices listed, but for Westerners this should not be a deterrent in any way. One chicken salad, two shredded chicken, and one beer was VND 220,000. The family who own and run the restaurant were very nice. Both evenings that we ate there we arrived just after they closed in the evening and it was not a problem. Actually we weren't aware that they were technically closed until the second night after we were done eating when checking out other reviews on Google. The street leading to this small alley is full of other restaurants, busy with other patrons. But I would recommend bypassing those for something truly authentic, local, delicious, not to mention very reasonable.

Hotel Royal Hoi An – Gallery is a luxurious hotel that tells the love story of a Japanese merchant and a Vietnamese princess through its harmonious blend of Japanese tradition and Indochinese luxury. The hotel features elegantly decorated guestrooms and suites with views of the Thu Bon River and Hoi An city. It boasts an infinity pool, outdoor swimming pool, rooftop bar, dining options, sauna, and air-conditioned accommodations equipped with modern amenities.
We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was perfect for exploring the area—whether walking or biking—and every member of the team was so kind and welcoming. Both pools were fantastic, always stocked with towels, and made for a relaxing way to spend our afternoons. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of options, and our room overlooking the lower pool was lovely, with excellent air conditioning. The front desk staff went above and beyond, even keeping us updated when a package we were waiting for arrived, which was so helpful. Between the prime location and the thoughtful amenities, this hotel is truly a perfect choice. We also loved that we were able to visit their sister property on the beach—it was such a nice bonus to enjoy some time by the water before returning to the city. I did notice a couple of things that could be improved. One was the bathroom door—it only stayed shut if it was locked, which wasn’t ideal. Also, while our room was absolutely lovely, I hadn’t realized there were two different color palettes. The room we stayed in featured darker red and black tones, while many of the photos online showed a brighter blue and white style, which is more my personal preference. It didn’t take away from our experience, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The hotel itself was beautiful and welcoming, and we truly enjoyed our time there.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! The check in process was smooth and reception was welcoming. The rooms were large and comfortable - very clean and well kept. The buffet breakfast was huge and had everything you could ask for. Very delicious options. The massage I had at the Woosah Spa was amazing - Thao was exceptional and I wish I had booked more massages in with her. Our only feedback would be the room service meal, which was slightly overpriced and not as tasty as we had anticipated. Overall we had a great time and look forward to returning again in the future.

The Hotel Royal Hoi An delivers a relaxing and welcoming stay in a vibrant city. Close to the action, our experience here was delightful as we were treated to kind and helpful staff. The extensive buffet breakfast satiates in every way and be sure to enjoy a delicious Vietnamese coffee!! The bicycles provide an excellent way to travel afar, during the steamy Hoi An days and returning to the hotel for a swim in one of the two fabulous pools is a very refreshing way to relax into the evening. The rooftop bar mixes up exotic cocktails while you watch and listen to the streets below come alive! The Hotel Royal Hoi An was the perfect place to refresh and relax at the end of our time in Vietnam! Thanks to all the team for making us feel so welcome and rejuvenated!

Okay, I will make this review to be extremely honest but above all very informative… Price: Price I believe is reasonable and is very affordable. We had a king suite on the very top floor and came with a beautiful balcony view facing the rivers. Accommodation: loveee how their room can be at 16 degree Celsius and I loveee me a cold cold room. My husband was very comfortable specially for someone who’s 6’3 Location: like I said, it’s right on the river and is walking distance with all the great food and shops. Maybe everything is probably about 15-20 mins walking wise. Service: All I have to say is how honored I am to experience the “storm” and “flooding” in this hotel. The STAFF goes above and beyond and honestly if you take your time and have a decent conversation with any of them, they are soooo awesome, helpful, kindest people you’ll ever meet. I’ve never met a group of individuals who helps each other in time of need despite the heavy flooding so I am extremely grateful Room Service: idk about other ppl but I loveeeee the food that they served in their room service and their pho was delicious! Woosah Spa: my hubby and I both got the 1 hour massage and our masseuses were phenomenal! It’s clean. Well priced and very relaxing!

We absolutely loved this hotel! We stayed in the Royal Deluxe King room in their older building and the view from the balcony was incredible. The staff were fantastic and regularly checked in on my husband after he got severe food poisoning from when we were in Da Nang. The breakfast buffet was delicious and they also left a lovely surprise for our wedding anniversary. It was also a leisurely stroll from the lantern boats. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Vietnam! ❤️

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 I had such a great stay at this hotel! The place is beautiful — everything looks just as good as (or even better than!) the photos online, which is such a pleasant surprise these days. The rooms are clean, modern, and very comfortable. The service was excellent — the staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. From check-in to check-out, everything ran smoothly. Another highlight was the breakfast buffet, which is included with the room at no extra cost. It was absolutely spectacular — a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day right. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. Great location, amazing service, and truly picture-perfect just like the photos!

Loved the cocktail experience at the rooftop pool with a live band. The hotel was in a perfect location - very close to Old Town and the night market, but far enough that it’s still quiet and serene. I also had a wonderful birthday splurge at the Woosah Spa! Got a great body scrub and lavender aroma massage with Lien. It was very relaxing and I felt silky smooth after. Lien used the perfect amount of pressure and got into all my knots (which I had lots of). Highly recommend both the hotel and spa!

2 adults and 1 child stayed for 3 days, and it was my first visit to Hoi An, so I thought a lot about choosing a hotel. But I think it was a really good choice. The friendly staff, clean room condition, delicious breakfast, and especially the eggs benedict were so delicious. The coffee made by the breakfast restaurant was also so delicious. The room clean service was also very satisfactory. The staff at the reception were always greeted with a smile, and the staff who opened the door on the way were very kind. When I accidentally left my key in the room, the staff kindly guided me. If you go to Hoi An next time, I plan to stay there again. This hotel made my trip more enjoyable. Thank you ^^

Restaurant
Cơm Gà Giếng Đình Hội An is a small but clean and neat restaurant located on Phan Chau Trinh Street. The owner's unique cooking method involves using water from the well, giving their pho a distinct flavor that sets it apart from others. This spot is popular among locals for breakfast, often crowded in the early morning. The menu features dishes like Cao lau and Mi Quang, best enjoyed with local beer Larue.
Very good authentic Vietnamese food that locals had recommended to us. They have a lot of the food that’s traditional to this area of Vietnam. The advice was good and the food came out quickly. Very affordable prices as well
Bella G — Google review
The chicken rice cost 120,000 VND, which was the most expensive item, so we expected it to be the best in the shop. However, it was disappointing—the meat was very hard and dry. The environment was dirty, though the boss was friendly. We tried this shop because the other one had a very long queue. Not recommended.

Nice place to have delicious chicken rice and Cao lau, Quang noodles in Hoi An. The staffs are friendly. Always overcrowded and you will have to wait for the tables.
Tuan N — Google review
I was looking for a local hole in the wall sort of restaurant and stumbled upon this one. It’s very affordable and the staff was very welcoming. They got our order wrong but they changed it right away and apologized many times. And they tried their best to communicate which we really appreciate. Don’t expect a gourmet meal here but it’s authentic and lovely. We ordered the chicken pho and quang noodle. The chicken pho was a bit on the plain side but it still tasted great! I personally liked the quang noodle better because of the flavor. It is true that there’s only one piece of pork belly but there’re shrimp and quail eggs.

Unassuming but fantastic food and service! We had the cao lau which is a local dish and was amazing, and we also had the fried wontons which I will be having dreams about. So good, would recommend!

One of the best resteraunts in Hoi An. I’ve been back over 5 times and recommended to all my friends. The Com Ga (with added morning glory for the garlicky goodness!) is to die for, as well as the wan tons. I ran here after drinking to make sure I could get food before close! All the staff are really friendly and will do anything to make sure you’re comfortable and happy. Lovely food! Lovely Place.

It was run by a lady who was friendly but the food just so-so. Cheap but the environment not great. Only the fried wanton with tomato salsa is good and passion fruit juice is good. Com Ga (chicken rice is dry and cold). The Cao Lao (brown rice noodle) is cold and dry too, too much salad with little noodle. Not a place to recommend.

Cơm Gà Bà Dung is a popular spot in town for its delicious and simple Vietnamese Chicken Rice dish. The eatery, run by a local family, offers fragrant rice topped with soft, poached chicken and fresh herbs. It's a favorite among locals and visitors alike, who can sit at street-side tables to savor the tasty meal. I wanted to put zero star if there is an option. The chicken rice smells good, but sadly I didn’t get to try. The lady wanted to charge us 40K dong for a plate of chicken rice, when it was supposedly 25K dong (we did some research online before going, because it was apparently good). This place exploits tourists, perhaps they feel that tourists pluck money from trees.

Bear Garden, located within the picturesque Hoiana Resort & Golf, is a delightful dining destination that perfectly marries a tranquil atmosphere with delectable cuisine. This family-owned gem has garnered attention for its vibrant dishes and welcoming service. Guests rave about the grilled chicken infused with lemongrass and chili, as well as the flavorful pho that leaves a lasting impression. The restaurant's modern yet cozy design makes it an ideal spot for gatherings with loved ones or celebrating special moments.
We walked past this place a couple of times but it was always very busy. Finally, on our last evening in Hoi An, we got a table. This is an awesome, family-owned restaurant, and the food is simply amazing. I ordered grilled chicken with lemon grass and chilli, and after I was done, I had to try some pho - it was absolutely delicious. If we discovered this restaurant on our first day, we’d keep going here. The staff was very polite and attentive, top-notch service overall. I’ll definitely remember this restaurant.

My partner and I visited here for dinner last night. I had the sweet and sour chicken and he had the chicken with chilli and lemongrass. The meals came within about 20 minutes, service was great throughout and very friendly! The food portions were good and very good for the price, definitely get the French fries from here, they are cooked perfectly😊 I would recommend 😊

Brilliant food, and amazing price for Hoi An’s old town. The staff were so friendly and we loved it, also it’s a great place to try the local food such as the White rose dumplings. They also have many other options too with a great menu, definitely recommend!

Quaint & homey place, like your front casual dining spot. Warm ambience. We had the traditional Cao Lau, with a slight change in the noodle used & tofu instead of pork. It was pleasantly different, but not sure if we’ll have it again. The beef pho was as per expected, 2nd bowl replaced with chicken, the soup tasted more flavorful. The service staff were pleasant & attentive.

The food is good portions, very decent price. Drinks are cheap as is beer (we go off the price of a drink for how expensive a place is). Lovely atmosphere even when quiet, you don't feel hassled by staff and we actually came in the first time as someone said it was stunning food as they were leaving
