1Mì Quảng Ông Hai - Mr. Hai Noodles

Noodle shop
Mì Quảng Ông Hai - Mr. Hai Noodles is a meticulously crafted dish originating from Quang Nam Province, particularly popular in Hoi An. The process of making the chewy noodles involves selecting high-quality rice, soaking it for a day, grinding it into powdered water, and mixing with alum for texture.
Very good homemade noodles in Hoi An, with the meat nicely prepared and the dish well-seasoned overall. If that wasn’t enough, there were also various spices and sauces available on the table for additional seasoning. The price was good at 40,000 dong, and the order was prepared fairly quickly.
Luboš — Google review
Stumbled upon Mr. Hai Noodles and it turned out to be a gem. Their Cao lầu is smoky, chewy, and deeply local, while the Mì Quảng bursts with herbs, shrimp, and crunch. A true Hoi An breakfast classic — simple, soulful, and the perfect way to start the day.
Michael B — Google review
Mi Quang was so good, i highly recommend it. This was my first meal in Hoi An and no regrets. This shop is patronised by locals, and that’s how you know the food’s good. The business owners were very sweet too.
Yixuan P — Google review
My hotel recommended me this local place , I had the My Quang for the first time and it was really good. Dishes are 20 000. They only have 2 different dishes. I also had a ginger ice tea and it was great. You should try it
Alex P — Google review
This restaurant offers just two options: cao lau and my quang. Don’t get there late, sometimes they run out of ingredients (good sign, it means everything is freshly prepared) Amazing Cao Lau!!! It gets 4 stars because the my quang was ok, nothing special. Service is…high speed
Ludovica R — Google review
Our guide told us this was the best place in town for Cai Lau and we were not disappointed! Delicious flavors and a wide variety of peppers you can add as as well as greenery to be sprinkled in. This is where the locals go.
C Z — Google review
This little local place was the first meal my wife and I had in Vietnam. We arrived hungry and stumbled into it because it was near our accommodation. What a local gem! We tried Cao Lau and Mi Quang as we were in Hoi An. It was incredible! It is no frills dining next to the street but the food is amazing. We went back again two days later for more Cao Lau and it was even better the second time. The staff doesn’t speak a ton of English but you can make it work, they are very nice. If you’re in Hoi An try this place for some fantastic noodles at a great price. Apologies for not taking photos of the dishes, I was ready to eat! Enjoy!
Justin R — Google review
Hands down best Mi Quang in Hoi An. The noodles are delicious and I like that the shrimp is de-shelled already. I could eat this everyday! 😋

Pho restaurant
Phở Tùng is a charming family-owned eatery tucked away in a picturesque alley within Hoi An ancient town. The menu features two delectable dishes: the classic beef pho and a larger bowl with an egg, both of which are highly recommended. The welcoming owner takes the time to demonstrate the proper way to savor the pho with its accompanying spices and sauces.
The Pho here was 100% our favorite in Hoi An and was so good we came back twice in three days! We loved the freshness of the meal which is the perfect way to start the day. The restaurant is tucked away in a tranquil court yard and has a very laid back atmosphere.
Richard B — Google review
A very local home owned business. Owner gentleman is very friendly and he showed me his Orchid collection. Some are more than 10 years old. I’m an Orchid planter my self so it’s very interesting and he has Orchids with aroma. Let me come back to food. Beef Pho and Chicken Pho is very fresh. Especially the nutty garnish they put on top of you can enjoy. And you got to have poached eggs. With greens and drink the broth. It’s sweet. Even on the menu they asked you to tell if you are allergic to nuts. Very thoughtful of them to look out for other nationalities as normally Viets are not allergic to peanuts as they are borne with it. Breakfast is a must visit for you. But we went at 1030hrs so only few of us. Since locals wake up early at opening times it should be busy. But trust me worth a sip and a bite of that Pho.
Nad R — Google review
They do an excellent pho, slighter sweeter than Pho Suong in Hanoi where the flavours were enhanced with a good balance of peanut and coriander (beef standard VND30,000 NZD2, beef special VND40,000 NZD2.70). The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly, taking special care when preparing our pho, and then demonstrating that the salad should be taken separately, not dumped into the broth. The broth itself was rich but delicate, with expertly balanced sweet, sour and salt.
Dan H — Google review
I’ve tried a lot Pho while staying here in Da nang and in Hoi An. But this Pho has been the best so far the authentic natural flavors and the aroma from the herbs is amazing. Never had some of the ingredients and I’m guessing the owner knew this she came right over and showed me the right way to prepare and eat the salad. I also never had fried bread and OMG a must try put the chili sauce on top and just eat it a 10/10. You get unlimited tea or they have other beverages to order. I’ve been there 3 times so far and every time it’s the same experience. The Price for all the food was 80,000 dong. I really recommend everybody to try this place. 10/10
Shakia H — Google review
Not the usual pho but the noodle is amazing. The broth is clean and yummy. A great place for morning breakfast that’s not heavy. The lady is super nice. Insisted that we had the best seat (getting air from all the fans!) and showing us how to eat the salad. The place is packed with locals during National day so you know the food is good. Do make it a stop. The special is the larger bowl.
Windhawk T — Google review
The BEST Pho we had ! The soup, the salad on the side, seasoned by the very very nice owner of the place ! Tried the beef pie too, excellent ! I strongly recommend this place ! The place is a bit outside of the Main Street, in a calm courtyard with a lot of plants, very peaceful place !
Val — Google review
Stepping into Pho Tung felt less like entering an eatery and more like visiting family. The uncle, aka the owner, poured his heart into each bowl of pho, and his careful hands were a promise of the deliciousness to come. The lady radiated kindness, at first brought us two dishes of salad and asked if we knew how to mix them, and ended up even taking the time to personally mix the accompanying salad with a flourish. While pho is not typically my go-to Vietnamese dish, Pho Tung's unique take, with its mildly sweet broth, crunchy satay peanuts, and perfectly dressed salad, won me over completely. If you are in Hoi An for breakfast, do not miss this gem - it is a meal warmed by both the broth and the kindness of the owners.
Genevieve V — Google review
Pho with very delicious soup, very fragrant, the best taste in Hoi An. Who want the original taste recommend you to go and eat !! The price is not expensive. Normal 30,000 VND, special 40,000 VND, soft-boiled egg 5,000 VND. There are only locals who go to eat and there are not many foreigners because not on the main road. The uncle and aunt own have good service :)

Bistro
Coffee shop
CƠM GÀ HỘI AN TT HOA VIÊN is a popular spot in Hoi An known for its delicious take on the classic Vietnamese dish, com ga. The friendly staff are enthusiastic about guiding diners through the experience of seasoning their chicken rice with sauces and chili to their liking. The menu includes variations like special chicken rice and chicken vermicelli soup, both of which are highly recommended.
We ordered two chicken rice dishes, very simple and tasty and for good price, came with soup which was a nice touch. The service was also very welcoming and kind, one of the ladies working there helped us with how to best dress the dish which was really sweet. Overall, lovely experience, thank you!
Habibah W — Google review
Delicious chicken and rice. We had both the shredded and fried chicken plates which were filling, extremely tasty and very reasonably priced. Also had the ginger tea. Loaded with ginger, dates and goji berries, the perfect drink to cap your meal. Highly recommend!
Andrew C — Google review
Very crispy and fresh chicken, absolutely not a frezzed chicken like most of other restaurants serve! Very delicious
Khang K — Google review
Best Hoi An chicken! Super friendly and helpful staff. Rice was moist and the chicken was delicious and not dry at all. Skin was bouncy and juicy. Highly recommend!!
Jimmy — Google review
Tasty chicken rice and generous portion. The place is very spacious. Sitting here to enjoy the local food is a pleasant experience.
Manling T — Google review
The best chicken rice in town🍗 🍚 very cheap and super quality food and great service from from Hong . Highly recommended. I always pop in here after the gym for a healthy meal.
Harry — Google review
Chanced upon this place. We were looking to try some Hoi An chicken rice and this place ticked our boxes. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic about showing us how to eat their chicken rice. It felt like a salad where you seasoned it with sauce and chilli to your liking, then mix everything up. We are not entirely sure what’s the difference between regular chicken rice and special chicken rice. The chicken vermicelli soup was also delicious, add the fresh veggies to your liking and mix everything up. Fruit juice was available from the coffee store next door. Prices were super affordable and people very warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for the local experience. A short 5-10min walk from the Old Town - but without the hordes of tourists invading your personal space.

Bánh Mì Phượng is a renowned Vietnamese street stall located in Hoi An, known for serving what many consider the best bánh mì in the world. The humble streetside stall, with limited space for dining in, attracts long lines of patrons eager to savor its bánh mì offerings.
We visited this place for all the hype on social media and the food didn’t disappoint us. Banh mi - a baguette with Pâté and other fillings. A staple in vietnam , the food introduced by french! The price is very reasonable compared to the ones you get at restaurants. There can be wait if you come during lunch and dinner hours. We were there around 3.50pm so got a table without much wait. The place is not that clean with bread crumbs found on floor because of the customers and the staff got no time to clean it with the place being super busy. Don’t except the place to super hygienic. If you are a foodie you must eat here or you can take away the banh mi too. But we had to eat here along with the amazing avocado shake they serve! Ordered grilled chicken with cheese and the grilled pork one. The Pâté is so tasty that I fell in love with the taste of it. Bread is crispy from outside and soft inside. Also ordered mango smoothie and avocado coconut smoothie. Must try avocado coconut smoothie here. Loved pork banh mi better than the chicken one. Chilli oil was yumm and we poured lot of chilli oil to our banh mi to make it spicier. Service was quick. This place serves the best banh mi. And much better than banh mi queen where they make mostly for foreigners’ taste buds (bland, non-spicy, no chilli oil unless you ask)
Rachitha K — Google review
The sandwiches they serve here are really good. I was skeptical at first but the ingredients they use are not of cheap quality processed meat but have whole chunks of meat as well as their homemade pate. I've ordered the sandwich with chicken and cheese and grilled pork with pate. Both were great and couldn't really tell which I preferred more (make sure to add their own chilli sauce). Avocado smoothie was perfect. The salt coffee was good too but a little bit too sweet for my taste. Overall pretty good value for the price paid. This place is clean and most times of the day full of customers.
Dominik W — Google review
Being a huge Banh Mi fan, I made it my mission to find the best one in Hoi An. The top contenders, of course, were Banh Mi Phuong and Madame Khanh (The Banh Mi Queen). We started with Banh Mi Phuong, it’s the one that Anthony Bourdain famously loved, so expectations were high! Both places have indoor seating, which is great since you can actually sit down and enjoy your sandwich comfortably. I ordered a pork and a chicken banh mi to compare fairly. Unfortunately, the chicken banh mi at Phuong’s was quite a letdown; the meat was dry, the filling wasn’t generous, and the pâté didn’t have much punch. The pork version was better and had more flavor, but the bread could’ve been fresher. Overall, it just didn’t live up to the hype. Next stop: Madame Khanh, and wow, what a difference! I ordered the exact same sandwiches, and this time I was blown away. Both were packed with ingredients, full of flavor, and the pâté… OMG 😲 unreal! The BBQ pork was my absolute favorite, but honestly, I’d order both again in a heartbeat. So yeah, for me, Banh Mi Phuong sadly lost this round. Maybe it’s not quite what it used to be back in Bourdain’s day. Hats off to The Queen 👑 she completely lives up to her title! 🥖
Gino H — Google review
Located in the Old Town Hoi An. The restaurant is very popular and long queues, but it is worth it! The queues is endless, but the staff does an excellent job managing the orders. The baguette is fresh with the right balance of crunch and chewy. The sauce is delicious and well seasoned, family secret and the filling of meats and pork are amazing. The price is reasonable. The best Banh Mi.
Russ L — Google review
Best Banh mi I’ve had in Hoi An. It definitely lives up to all the hype and the price is amazing. The best part or what made them so amazing is the quality of the pate. You can tell it’s heavily seasoned and has been cooked twice which I haven’t seen in many Banh mi restaurants. It’s definitely what makes it taste so good. The bread is very light and crunchy it holds the sandwich together well. The ingredients are all very fresh and the turn over of ingredients is so quick. There are 5 chefs working to assemble the sandwiches at all times. There is an inside seated area if you want to get off the street or out of the heat/rain. The hardest part is dealing with the Instagram/tourists who aren’t sure how or where to order or wait for their food. I came back here 3 times and tried two everytime. One isnt enough try two at a time it’s a good amount to be full but not bloat yourself as one just makes you want another one.
Casey N — Google review
Both the kids and I were on the mission to taste the best banh mis Da Nang has to offer. The best recommendations always come from the locals, this shop was a recommended by our driver/guide. It did not disappoint! The baguette was warm and had a crusty shell but soft interior. I think the portioning of the ingredients and spices were on point. They asked upon ordering if we wanted them spicy which was a plus. We liked it so much we went back the next day and ordered 5 more.
Gary A — Google review
Ordered no.7 (omelette) but was a fried egg not an “omelette” (what I’d expect to be whipped egg yolk & white mixed up) and could’ve done w way more veg filling. Bread was fresh and crispy though so points for that. Ordered avo choc smoothie but got avo coconut instead (possible miscommunication but still yum! Very creamy and fresh). Overall not the best not the worst banh mi.
Tahlia M — Google review
Good Banh mi in the city center. They have many options but to my taste the pate is one of the best I’ve had. The place is small and often packed with tourists, so I recommend getting your food to go and enjoying it in the square across the street.

Vietnamese restaurant
Pho Xua is a highly-regarded Vietnamese restaurant that doesn't specialize in just one dish, but offers a wide variety of Vietnamese delicacies such as pho, nem ran, fried wontons, and mi quang. The restaurant is known for its elegant setting within an old house and provides both indoor and outdoor seating options.
Great little place that is always busy. All women run restaurant that makes such tasty food 😋. So happy we decided to eat here from dozens of other selections! I loved the food so much I kept ordering more food. Next to us, the couple's eyes looked in shocked each time a new dish came out. The lovely lady was happy we enjoyed all our food, didn't leave a single drop behind. 335,000 Dong.....so cheap. That's about $17 CAD in Vancouver (would have costed us $100 included tip).

Best spring rolls and grilled pork salad for a long while! The salted n super thin rice paper was different but so yummy! Our 4yo and 6yo was too tired to eat but ended up smashing the food to bits! Definitely recommend!

The pho was the best out of the other phos I had in vietnam! (no photo of it since we gobbled up everything before taking a photo) Broth was flavourful and not oily. Drank every bit of the soup. Ordered other dishes as well. Morning Glory veg was nice, the dry noodles too! Will visit again if i ever come back again!

Pho Xua in Hoi An Ancient Town is a must-try! The pho was full of rich flavor, and the wontons were absolutely amazing — both dishes are a must. Restaurant
Quán Cao Lầu Thanh is a popular spot in Hoi An known for serving delicious Vietnamese turmeric noodles. The dish features soft udon-like noodles topped with Chinese barbecued pork slices, beansprouts, croutons, and fresh herbs, all drenched in a pork-based gravy. The restaurant offers a simple setup with wooden tables and chairs overlooking the main road.
This place service one of the best Hội An’s iconic dish—authentic cao lầu, that’s bursting with flavor and tradition! This no-frills spot serves up bowls of chewy, smoky noodles, topped with tender slices of pork, crispy crackling, fresh herbs, and just the right amount of broth to tie it all together. The flavours are not overpowering, the noodles have the perfect bite, the pork melts in your mouth, and the herbs add a refreshing crunch. The local throng this place and the prices are unbeatable. Word of advice - the pickled chili adds a fiery kick
Kenneth T — Google review
It’s nice and flavourful. The best thing is the super cold Diet Coke haha. I would look for that fish taste herbs and take it out before you go to town on the noodle. Interestingly, cao Lau (high floor) used to be for high society expensive food, an imitation to the Japanese udon as I’m told but made with rice. Visited a shop that made cao Lao earlier in the day and saw lots of rats.
Dru L — Google review
This humble hawker stall is one of the last places that sells handmade Cao Lầu noodles, a special noodle dish only available in Hoi An, that you absolutely must try!
Bella S — Google review
An excellent family run place serving Cao Lau & Banh Bao. The layers of flavour in the Cao Lau are incredible & at 35k small, 50 big portion it is excellent value for money. We’ve eaten here twice - if you want delicious food & an authentic experience, away from the tourist trap restaurants come here!
Nature T — Google review
Really tasty authentic Vietnamese food and very quick service. Very reasonable (35k for a small bowl). Highly recommend for a meal while in Hoi An. Owner speaks fluent English and is very friendly ☺️
Ellice A — Google review
the cao lau here was absolutely incredible. we’d had some the night before from elsewhere but this one blew us away! the pork was so flavourful, the broth/sauce was soooo tasty, and the herbs perfectly balanced it all. the homemade yoghurt and vietnamese corn milk were also delicious and great for when you’ve put a few too many chillies in your bowl ;) the prices were very reasonable (35k for a small bowl, 50k for a big bowl) and the place is family run, the owner’s daughter was super friendly explaining how they grow all their own produce and showing us her father making the noodles in the back. it was really an incredible experience and we are still talking about it 2 days later! i would 100% recommend this place to anyone staying in Hoi An
Kristin S — Google review
Came by around 2pm, spacious and airy, even the owner said it’s best to come at time like after breakfast or after lunch, but it comes with the risk of sold out, lol. The Cao Lầu is good to me, this is my first time so it’s subjective, the yogurt drink worth trying. Price is reasonable, the owner lady can communicate in English fluently.
Khang B — Google review
Came here after looking up somewhere to eat authentic and delicious but also safe (for my foreigner stomach) food. Simple menu that really excels at what they do. The cao lau was flavorful and the ingredients fresh. The woman running the restaurant was also so friendly. Would definitely recommend for authentic Hoi An cuisine!

Morning Glory Signature is a highly regarded and sophisticated restaurant in Hoi An, offering a contemporary twist on traditional Vietnamese dishes. The upscale venue, overseen by renowned local restaurateur Ms Vy, presents beloved family recipes with a modern flair. Diners can savor sautéed squid with steamed black rice and lemongrass stalks wrapped with minced meat while enjoying picturesque views of the Japanese Bridge from the balcony.
This restaurant is by the Hoi An river. Place can get crowded to best to make reservation. Food and drinks were good. Service is attentive and prompt even with a large crowd. Prices on the higher side, however it is worth the comfort and live band. Highly recommended place to try.

The food is generally packed with bold flavors, though many dishes leaned heavily on the salty side. If you enjoy strong, savoury tastes, you'll likely appreciate their offerings more. Highlights include the fried turmeric noodles and baby calamari — both well-executed and flavorful. However, the grilled scallops were a miss for us; they were overwhelmingly salty, masking the natural taste of the scallop. Desserts offered a pleasant surprise with a wide selection that wasn't overly sweet — a nice balance to the savory dishes. Their signature cocktails are also worth trying: reasonably priced, well-mixed, and notably not watered down. You can really taste the alcohol distinctly. Lastly, great river view if you sit at higher floors. Definitely a good bonus!

I have mixed feelings about Morning Glory Signature. I chose this place because it came highly recommended when I asked around for good food in Hoi An. We ordered the rose dumplings, banh xeo, and spiced beef bun. Flavor-wise, everything tasted good; the banh xeo was the crispiest we had in Hoi An, definitely a standout. But the portions were tiny. If you’re really hungry (like we were), this is not the place to eat. The banh xeo came with just four rolls; the dumplings were delicious but barely filling; and the beef buns were just okay. The ambience was a little too fancy for us. We were hoping for a casual dining spot and found the atmosphere a bit intimidating. Unfortunately, service was disappointing. When we asked if the “spices beef bun” was spicy, the staff responded with “it’s called spicy beef on the menu,” even though it actually said “spices.” We tried to clarify, but the tone felt a bit dismissive. Probably just a language misunderstanding, but it didn’t feel great. Lastly, for the small portion sizes, the price didn’t feel worth it. Overall, not a terrible experience, but not somewhere I’d go back to unless I wanted something light and didn’t mind paying more for the setting.

You honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here! We went for the beef buns, the BBQ chicken lime salad, the famous Hoi An chicken rice, and of course their signature: the morning glory. Every single dish was a hit, but the real showstopper was definitely the Hoi An chicken rice, it stood out for its flavor and uniqueness. Absolutely divine! And whatever you do, don’t skip dessert; the sticky rice with mango is an absolute must, so make sure to save a little room 😋

A really good selection of options. Everything was delicious. The staff were excellent. We ate there twice on the same day 😊 The restaurant is located in a large building that is shared with other restaurants. I believe they are all connected and serve a different take on Vietnamese cuisine.

Came in to have a lighter meal after a heavy lunch. The spring rolls combo is decent. Very moist on the inside which differs than my expectations. Would recommend some soup to clean your pallet after many meals of heavy viet food. Obviously, the price is higher than average.

Our experience at morning glory signature was delightful from start to finish. The dishes we ordered were bursting with flavor, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. Our server, Ngoc was incredibly attentive and friendly, making excellent recommendations. The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for our meal. All our questions about the restaurant and partnering establishments were answered with pride and enthusiasm by Ngoc. Thank you.

Dined here as a walk-in and was able to get a table out back. I ordered the seafood spring rolls as an entree and the sea bass as my main. Both were really delicious and the portion sizes were much bigger than I was expecting - I struggled to eat it all. Was pleased with my overall dining experience here.

The sandwiches are praised for their perfect balance of flavors and textures, featuring tender meats and fresh herbs nestled in crispy baguettes. Customers rave about the option to add extra cheese for an indulgent experience. Visitors commend Mr.
A real street food gem! The grilled chicken Banh Mi is absolutely amazing: crispy bread, well-marinated chicken, full of flavor. And the Nutella one for dessert… pure joy! Service is perfect—super friendly and quick. Highly recommended!

Owner is friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. This was the 3rd Banh Mi I tried in Hoi An. The filling is a lot lesser than another stall I tried the day before (same price). Though the portion could be just nice especially if you have had had other food. Had the grilled pork Banh mi, taste is ok but I have tried others which are more to my liking. Just slightly disappointed after reading all the rave reviews. Maybe it's personal taste!

Nice banh mi right in the middle of the night area. Bit greasy but was overall not bad. Grab a cocktail at a cart near by and enjoy the views.

The best banh mi in hoi an. Served by a very nice and friendly man. We had tofu, pork and chicken banh mi in our group and all were 10/10, you won’t regret coming here, thank you

Excellent Banh Mi. Mr Pig is a moving target. Gets moved on by the authorities but well worth it. Not the cheapest but very good. Also has a bit of moisture (sauces) which makes for a good banh mi

Hey watch out!! My friend and I ordered here based solely on google reviews and someone (not the man making the bahn mi) tried to physically take our money out of our hands when we were paying- acting like he was showing us what bills made up 65k. We have been here for a few weeks so we’re familiar with the slightly confusing currency and they thought they could take advantage of us. We were offended and he immediately hopped on a motorbike and drove away with someone else. It’s unfortunate because the bahn mi was so yummy and Mr Pig seemed nice.

Cơm Gà Bà Buội is a renowned family-owned eatery in Hoi An, serving authentic chicken rice since the 1950s. For VND 35,000, patrons can savor a bowl of clear soup alongside fragrant rice topped with generous portions of shredded village chicken, fresh herbs, black pepper, and chili jam. The restaurant's bright yellow exterior makes it easily recognizable and it's just a short walk from the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge.
There are many chicken rice places in Hoi An. But this one is the best one in the city. The soup is light and savory, sugarcane juice is delicious, the chicken rice is great!! Highly recommend!
Food 8 — Google review
Although this was a famous restaurant known for their chicken rice, I was a little disappointed at how plain everything was. The locals recommended us to try, but I guess not everything would be as good as I thought. It was more of an experience. The rustic chairs, the old tables, and the view, somewhat nostalgic, but of course I would always go for the food and the quality of it. Maybe it wasn’t as good to me. One of my other pet peeves was the chopsticks were placed in the holder upside down, so make sure you really wipe down the chopsticks well ( who knows what’s at the bottom of that little holder). Other than that, the food was ok. Nothing impressive to say the least.
Tee W — Google review
The so call famous Vietnam Hoi An chicken rice, perhaps, the taste not suitable to me and I think the chicken rice not much delicious. The chicken meat tasted like overcooked. Overall, not having good food experience in this stall but could be well praised by the local.
LOO J — Google review
A well known spot for Hoi An chicken rice. We had the shredded chicken dish for 220.000 with rice and stir fried morning glory. The restaurant does give you complimentary soup and a small portion of gizzards alongside which is nice. For the price however, the price of the dishes was far too expensive for the value received. The chicken was quite plain and not juicy at all. Maybe the orher dishes would have been nicer, but given that it’s a chicken rice spot, the main dish was quite disappointing. In terms of food cleanliness, service, and atmosphere everything was great. There are definitely better spots in Hoi An for chicken rice though.
Minh N — Google review
After reading the conflicting reviews, I decided to dine at this place for my own opinions. I didn’t appreciate the food. I really don’t think that it deserves the hype.Disappointing. Food was not good and expensive for what you get. The chicken was mainly bones and very hard to chew and the portion was small and paid 200k. Definitely would not recommend.
Prakash N — Google review
At lunch time, We visited the famous local spot, Cơm Gà Bà Buội, for lunch in the afternoon. The rice was really good and the food overall was delicious. However, I should mention, this place is always crowded! If you’re not comfortable eating in a busy, noisy environment where people might glance at you (especially as a foreigner out of curiosity), then maybe it’s not for you. But for me, it was worth it. The atmosphere felt very local, the food was authentic, and I enjoyed the experience despite the crowd. Sometimes good food comes with a little chaos!
Marcus — Google review
The food here is overrated. It can’t hold a candle to the Singapore Chicken Rice. Ordered the simple plate for 1 person. The rice was not that fragrant, the tumeric yellow color was interesting. There were a few small pieces of chicken liver, chicken shred which was so dry and tasteless. There was free carrots shred, a bowl of soup and some green vegetables. I enjoyed the coconut water as the weather was so hot outside. The best about this place is not the food but the AIR-Con.
Su Y — Google review
It is okay, not great .55000,because of the location so the food was a bit more expensive than the local restaurant. I ate the same food in the village restaurant, only 30000,and tasted better, and their free chicken soup was amazing.

Nestled conveniently near the heart of Hoi An, Quán Phở Tiến is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese pho. This charming eatery is celebrated for its rich and flavorful broth, crafted from beef bones, and offers generous portions that include various meat options like rare beef, brisket, and tendon. The ambiance is clean and spacious, complemented by friendly staff who make you feel right at home.
Superb local place to get pork pho. Was very fresh, tasty broth and quality noodles. You can not get a drink here, so bring your own. Simple seating but great service with a smile and exceptional price of 40k for a huge bowl.
D S — Google review
Really good Phở - broth was like a flavour bomb! You can really tell that the locals frequent this place but this also means that if you’re not local, they’ll probably upcharge you (which is why this was a 4 stars and not a 5). We paid ₫ 50k per bowl which was quite pricey & judging from other reviews here, the price seems to vary.
Joann T — Google review
Mmmhhh... so delicious Phó Bo (with beef)! A very typical Vietnamese pho bar which was recommended to us by a friendly local and she was right. For two bowls of soup we paid VND 100k altogether. The pho comes with lots of leaves, pepper, lemons and spices, like it suppose to. We recommend it 100% and will come back for sure :)
Kuba J — Google review
This is one of our favorite pho shops in Hoi An. Before you enter, I need to remind you that this is Hoi An pho, so it doesn’t taste exactly like Northern or Southern Vietnamese pho. But to me, it’s very nice and has a strong local flavor. If you're expecting pho that tastes like the ones in Hanoi, packed with tourists, then this is not the place for you. I mention this because I saw some reviews where people gave this shop just less star, simply because the pho tasted different from Hanoi pho. That’s so unfair—dude, you’re in Hoi An! Why on earth would you expect it to taste like Hanoi pho? Here, they serve it with a tiny spoon of peanut oil and preserved papaya. I added more herbs and a bit of fresh chili—perfect. The noodle texture is also different, with a slight resemblance to Hu Tieu.
Chau P — Google review
there were flies and bugs in the broth, not a traditional pho restaurant. i had to go to the bathroom after eating.

Unbeleibable pho! Extremely tasty! Remember its hoi an and not Hanoi, if you tried pho in the north it will taste slightly different! Still unbelievable and cant reccomend more for 40,000! Also can ask for them to not put in coriander if you don't like
Myles H — Google review
Small bowl (even for the big one) for 50000. Pricey, since the normal is 35000 for bigger size! Meat is sliced very thin which is nice, but the broth isn't tasty, very diluted. They also put peanuts on top, which isn't very common

Bánh Bèo Bà Bảy is a traditional Vietnamese dish that's popular in Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An. It consists of small steamed rice cakes topped with a flavorful orange sauce made from minced pork, dried shrimp, scallions, oil, and rice vinegar. The dish is often served with fish sauce and crispy fried shallots for added flavor.
Very authentic atmosphere and experience! Vendor does not have any tables, very bare bones stools on the sidewalk. The vendor doesn’t need much, the food was excellent and speaks for itself. Best banh beo I have ever had. I will dream about this meal until the day I die.
Kristina N — Google review
After being disappointed by Morning Glory, I found this hidden gem to satisfy my cravings (since I couldn't even finish my dish at Morning Glory and left with an empty stomach). I tried a set of Banh Beo (served in four little plates with dipping sauce for 20,000 VND). The texture was soft and bouncy, combined with a sweet sauce topping and crunchy pork cracklings, perfectly balanced by the spicy kick of chili. Loved it! Highly recommended.
Tanny R — Google review
Absolutely delicious banh beo, iconic of Hoi An in an atmosphere typical of Vietman’s street food stalls: on small stools in the street. The Banh Nams are good, quite different from the ones you can find in Hue. The lady serving the food is very nice. Great experience and delicious banh beo: the best I had during my 3 weeks stay in Vietnam. (One serving is 4 banh beo)
Cerise C — Google review
Best in town and best little street food stall in Hoi an. Not pretentious and they serve for the locals. This is the true Local taste of Hoi an from this sweet lady who's been serving for over 30 years. Most of her customers are locals and those who knows what's up. Greta spot to stop and have a taste of real locals food that is not a tourist Trap.

Do not sleep on this street side food stall. The motto of the shorter the stool the better the food certainly applies here. One of the best meals I’ve had in Vietnam thus far. Reasonably priced, great service, and a great spot to people watch while eating yummy food. I will definitely be back before leaving Hoi An
Elijah D — Google review
The food is tasty and authentic ❤️ the lady is nice and explained everything we need to order and how many you should try on first time order. We ordered 4 bánh bèo chén and 2 mix dishes of bánh bột lọc and nậm around 80.000 VND . She did carefully ask are we able to eat peanuts (nut allergy) just in case. So 10/10 services and food. Definitely recommended .

I LOVE IT! I've eaten there twice. It has a good taste, easy to eat, with a flavor similar to Thai cuisine. The price is good, and it has a local vibe. I recommend it if you're looking to try something with a local experience.
Poiizho P — Google review
We asked for the whole gamut. Banh nam is usually one of my favorites but the banh beo and the banh bot loc were so good, it took a backseat. The banh beo is the star for sure with the flavors and textures — particularly love her fried cau lau noodle toppings for the light crunch. The banh bot loc is a must! Those little dumplings are flavorful and love the combo of shrimp and mung beans. And if you’re hungry or have a partner in crime, just go ahead and order the trio. My partner is allergic to shellfish so we asked her to serve him up anything and everything that didn’t have shrimp. He got a bowl of banh nam and banh bot loc with the mung bean ones. This was his first time having banh nam as there is usually shrimp cooked into it. And also his first time having banh bot loc cause we hadn’t crossed these dumplings with mung bean before. He was super happy with his meal. When it came time to pay, I counted the wrong number of banh beo — she corrected me and charged me less. We plan on returning before we move on from Hoi An. She shared she’s there by noon daily and will stay until she out.

This Cao Lau was the best thing I had during my 4 day stay in Hoi An 🥹 SO good, the Mi Quang was great as well and each dish worked out to be about $2.50 AUD each. The owner is so nice and welcoming, don't sleep on this

Food was delicious. The place was not that spacious but it was clean. Price was reasonable too. 30k for Mi Quang. 35k for Cao Lau. I only ordered the Mi Quang. But I saw from the table next to me, the Cao Lau looked better than the one I ordered at Old Town (cheaper too). Portion was generous. The lady who sells the food was friendly and able to speak English. Defenitely earned my recommendation.

Incredible cao lau noodles, and very friendly service! We were recommended to go here by a couple of women from a nearby tailor shop. Super delicious. Try to go a little earlier because sometimes they sell out!
Aaron H — Google review
There’s seating if you want to dine in, and the place feels very local, which I love. I came specifically to try Mì Quảng, a dish I heard is from the Quang Nam region. When I saw turmeric listed in the ingredients, I expected something heavy and oily, maybe like Indonesian Soto. But nope! Mì Quảng turned out to be a dry-style noodle dish with just a touch of broth. Light, savory, slightly sweet, and not greasy at all. It came topped with shrimp, pork, quail eggs, roasted peanuts, and crispy rice crackers. The flavor was good on its own, but adding a bit of their chili oil really brought it to life. Prices were clear and posted, Mì Quảng for VND 30k and Cao Lầu for VND 35k. Always appreciate a stall that’s transparent, especially in a touristy area like Hoi An. Also, the lady running the place speaks English, which was super helpful. If you're curious about Central Vietnamese food, this place is an easy and affordable way to try something regional and delicious without the tourist trap vibes. Worth the stop.
Adelia A — Google review
There are multiple stalls nearby serving the same dishes, so please keep an eye out. We had both Cao Lau and Mi quang, both were really good. It's a good breakfast food since it's tasty but not heavy. The place seems really local. Really worth the price. 65 k for both.

Com Lau paradise is here. Doesn't get any more local or delicious. Ditch the common Trip Advisor track and have your mind blown by Loc's delicious dishes. Com Lau & Mi Quang.

If you're looking for the real deal Mì Quảng then this is it right here! The lady also serves up Cao Lau in the mornings (or until sold out). Don't skip on their chili oil either. It's some of the best you'll try in Hoi An. Prices were clear and VERY reasonable and the operator also speaks good English if you need that. #PROTIP: Head across the road after your meal to try one of the Sodas at Madam Khanh.

“This Place Deserves More TikTok Recognition!” This spot needs way more shoutouts than some of the places currently trending. One word: YUM. Tucked in Old Town, this cute restaurant is a must-visit! It’s cosy, clean, and the team is so friendly once you step inside—no one hounding you at the door, which makes it even more inviting. We started with the fresh shrimp spring rolls and honestly, I could eat these all day. Perfect for a humid afternoon, especially paired with a cocktail (highly recommend the Miss Ly). For mains we ordered the Cao Lau—our first time trying it—and now it’s officially on the list of must-have Vietnamese dishes. The noodles and fresh elements together were just incredible. We also had the shrimp stir-fried noodles—a thinner, drier style than the Cao Lau but equally delicious. Our foodie toddler basically claimed that dish for herself! Adding a touch of the chili condiment took it up a notch for me. Delicious food, cosy vibes, great service… this place truly deserves more love. Definitely one to put on your Hoi A food map! PS: This is a small, quaint spot and we coincidentally arrived just before 12 pm—thankfully we had already ordered by the time it got really busy!

We’ve enjoyed our food, very friendly service, pretty surroundings. Great place to eat on a hot day. We’ve opted for the vegan menu as there were many options available. Did the Cooking Class here through Taste Vietnam. It was perfect as only 2 hours and didn’t want all the extras like the market tour or boat ride. It was a small group (only 2 couples) and went stall by stall learning about the food and techniques to make the food. It was extremely hands on and by the end of the 2 hours I was stuffed - there was so much tasting everything we made. We’re also given a recipe of a few dishes to make when we return home too. Our instructor was fun and had been there for 10 years so really knowledgeable. Highly recommend

The food was amazing here - the stuffed squid was my favourite thing I've had so far in Vietnam! The mixed BBQ plate was massive but delicious, so were the pickles and cocktails. Lovely Spanish guitar love music playing, and very cool layout with "market" shopfronts around the space. We were on a table up the back and while it was lovely being in a large space it did feel like a bit of a sea of tables which took away from the ambience a bit. Would definitely go back though as the food was spectacular.

We returned here after 6 years and the food is still very good. Vy’s menu is made up of many different Vietnamese dishes. We ordered shrimp with glass noodles, eggplant, crystal rose dumplings and cao lau, vegetable rice rolls. The eggplant was our favorite dish. Very local feel - mostly Vietnamese and packed - that’s always a good sign. I ordered the chicken salad with papaya. It was HUGE. A lot of chicken - well flavored. The service is straightforward: you see a table, you grab it, and they give you a menu to choose (English & Vietnamese). I don’t speak a word of Vietnamese and the waiter boy’s English is good enough. 🥰

I'm gonna give this 4 stars because I feel they gave us one look and decided to charge us the white person rate. I happened to sit by locals and got a quick glimpse of their menu, and found prices a bit different. I asked the employee she came back with because the food portions are bigger. I was like ummmm no it's not. She tried to do it again, my Vietnamese neighbors were giggling and smiled, then said, yes prices are different for us locals. Yeah so, while the food was absolutely delicious, I was a bit bothered about it the price, yes, it's so cheap in comparison but it's the principle. Though in Hawaii, we do have a Kama'aina rate that only locals get so that's fair. Food was great though, damn it, now I'm still gonna have to come back.

The chicken salad strikes a great balance between the tender chicken and fresh herbs. Even the broken rice on its own is full of flavor, but paired with the chicken salad, it’s easily one of the best combinations. The place can be a bit chaotic, but that only adds to its rustic charm and overall dining experience.

Too crowded in weekend. Not recommend for foreigners because too hard for them to order. Nice view to see Hoi An ancient town

Hands down one of the best meals of our lives! We’ve eaten at Michelin star restaurants, and plenty of Pre Fixe dinners and would eat here 10x before another of those. My wife makes AMAZING com ga, but unfortunately, this tops it. We decided we will come back to Hoi An just for their Com Ga Xe long $80kd. We took it to go back to our hotel, and loved it just the same. Amazing food!!
Ryan S — Google review
What mixed reviews! This place came highly recommended by a local and without any research, I made my way here. Yes, the inside was nondescript And hardly worthy of a second look. AND coming from a place where chicken rice is a signature dish, how different can it be, right? First of all, just my luck to come off peak so I was promptly served. When it arrives, the serving was huge and a feast, including a refreshing and crunchy mix of herbs and vegs. Then there was the salty fermented bean paste chilli to compliment it all. Don't forget the complimentary soup which is old school boiled chicken broth. I enjoyed my meal.
Mr J — Google review
Chicken salad is amazing! Refreshing with the mix of veggies and herbs, complimented by the aromatic salty sauce. Cau lau is also very good. Super big portion for the “small” size. People who gave bad reviews seemed unlucky but the server was super nice to us and gave suggestions to order small portions because we wouldn’t be able to finish bigger ones and if we ordered more food. Love the food!

Vietnamese restaurant
Quán Cao lầu Bá Lễ is a top choice in Hoi An for savoring the iconic Cao Lau dish, along with other delectable Vietnamese specialties. The restaurant's rendition of Cao Lau perfectly balances textures and flavors, featuring tender barbecue pork, crackling, bean sprouts, lettuce, and herbs atop chewy noodles. What makes this place even more special is that the noodles are handmade by some of the last artisans preserving this tradition.
One of the best meals I had in Hội An, hands down. The morning glory here? Absolutely next-level. Perfectly cooked, garlicky, and full of flavor — I couldn’t find a better one anywhere else in Vietnam. The green papaya salad was fresh and zesty, and the spring rolls were generous and juicy. Everything tasted homemade, simple, and just right. The space is cozy and full of character, with colorful lanterns and a lively, local vibe. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming — though I’ll be honest, one lady looked like she wasn’t having the best day (a bit grumpy and intense), but hey, maybe it was just a busy shift. Overall though, if you're in Hội An and want real, satisfying local food that leaves an impression — don’t miss this spot.

delicious food! ordered the Hoi An specialty Cao Lau and it was yummy, staff was friendly and helpful teaching us what to add in to noodle to make it more tasty! Affordable price too! highly recommend.

The Cao Lau here is absolutely outstanding! The noodles have the perfect chewy texture, the broth is rich and full of depth, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. It’s authentic, satisfying, and definitely the best we’ve had in Hoi An. A true must-try!

The food and the service here were amazing. We had the cao lau, Bahn xeo and white rose dumplings. One of the waitresses explained how to add extra ingredients and eat the cao lau. She also explained and showed us a different way to wrap the Bahn xeo with chopsticks which worked really well. Their service was so welcoming and friendly and helpful.

A gem located in a side street in Hoi An but still easy to find. Great service, we even had a lesson on rolling the rice paper rolls without using your hands, just chopsticks!!! We loved the cao lao yummy! And the banh xeo, bbq meats and fried spring rolls!!! Thank you for making our first meal in Hoi An so memorable!!!

Generally a great place for Hoi An’s Cao Lau delicacy meal. It’s 40.000 for a bowl, making it one of the most affordable well known spots in town, the taste does not disappoint either, very authentic. The juices are great value for money as well, the white rose pastry dish is definitely a recommend. The only downside side is the location inside an alleyway that could make it inconvenient for some, but that’s to be expected with well known traditional food spots. They also have a good variety of vegetarian options. Overall, would recommend!
Minh N — Google review
Went when it was not too busy. Ordered the Quan Cao and the rose dumplings. Both were delicious. The noodles were the highlight, both of the dumplings and of the noodle dish. Both were clearly handmade, you can see from the soup noodles that there was a texture to them which is not smooth like factory made noodles. The rose dumplings also had a lovely chew about them and a great flavour. Would come back.

Phở May, located on An Hoi island in Hoi An, is a top spot for those craving a delicious bowl of pho. While some may argue that bun bo hue holds the title for the favorite noodle dish in Vietnam, Phở May's authentic Vietnamese pho with its flavorful beef broth and high-quality fresh noodles is not to be missed. The restaurant boasts clean facilities and friendly staff, making it an ideal choice for a satisfying lunch or dinner during the winter season.
Came here for our first dinner of the trip and the food did not disappoint! The dishes are well-seasoned, the seafood was fresh and tasty. I would particularly recommend the spring roll and butter sauce shrimp.

One of the best meals in Vietnam. Wontons were delicious, very rich in taste, morning glory my absolute discover - salty and so much garlic which I love. Shrimps in some kind of filo paper really nice too. One minus - no garden.

Service was great! Staff were really attentive to the needs of their customers. When the soup was too spicy, they offered to take the pho back and replace it accordingly to make it a more manageable level of spicy, without need for us to even draw this to their attention. Thank you for the great service. Food was fantastic as well.

Everything is delicious and the price is reasonable. The bread and shrimp with butter garlic sauce just go together perfectly.

I don't really knock a place for slightly lower performance/service. Not being given wet wipes while every other table got wet wipes wasn't much of an issue when the beef intestine pho was spicy, delicious, and very well worth the money. Would go again.

5 of us (3 adults and 2 kids) just arrived this morning and googled mapped this great little Vietnamese/Korean fusion place with friendly welcoming staff and we agree! The dishes and drinks were fresh and super tasty. Not super cheap but very reasonably priced for the quality of food and service level. my photo was taken after we demolished most of our food - testament to how good it was!

Not a typical pho shop. This one is geared toward Korean tourists. They bring put the condiments with each order. We liked the pho a lot. The portion was huge. The place is nice and cool even in the summer daytime. We ordered the well done brisket noodles, which was great. You flavor your own bowl as they give you the herbs and spices you need. The rare beef noodle looks great as you marvel at how the boiling broth cooks the raw beef. The prices are low and affordable for such high quality pho.

Received a recommendation here while getting a pedicure and it did not disappoint!! If you’re searching for this specific dish then you must be okay with the strong taste and smell that comes with Mam Tom and this place does it perfectly!! The tofu and Cha on the dish were fried to perfection, the herbs were a great compliment to the otherwise stinky smell and the lady serving me was super kind showing me how to eat it!! Must come, pricing is the same for locals and tourists. Paid $75k for the medium tray 😊

We absolutely loved the Bun Dau Lon! Bun Dau is an assorted plate of meats and fried goodies accompanied with a tasty & spicy fermented shrimp dipping sauce. We ordered the large portion and it filled us both up. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. One of the staff, a very nice lady, spoke English and helped us decide what to order. This is a neighborhood gem that was filled with locals and tourists when we visited. I highly recommend a visit!

Interesting snack but filling with noodles The 70k bun dau lon is enough for 2 as snack. We only ordered one dish to try. We finished the food though we had lunch Arrived at 2 but really started at 2.30 as we were the first customer. Venue did say a start of 2pm but we were flexible. The plate is a variety 9f fried finger foods apart from the portion of vegie and white noodle. The sauce might be a bit unique for foreigners.

We got here after lunch time and the place was empty, but we don’t regret staying. It did feel like a locals spot. The sauce is pretty atomic smelling. I don’t get the hype. Sure it’s a great price but the beef is poor quality compared to some others (pho Lung for example) and the broth was very oily and sweet. I wouldn’t go back here. It seems like this use to be an institution and an essential pho place but clearly not the case anymore. Maybe at breakfast it’s better but i will not be going back for dinner.

Magnificent and unique Hoi An style beef pho. Deep rich flavoursome broth with an astonishing fresh and light taste. Comes with a bowl of herbs, beansprouts and pickled vegetables.
Chi T — Google review
This is undoubtedly the best Pho in Hoi An. The broth is extremely clean yet rich in flavor. The add-ons — herbs, lime, and chili — always taste as if they’re freshly picked from the garden. The chili is vibrant, and the meat melts in your mouth, unlike many places where it feels tough and chewy. The noodles are not pre-cooked but prepared to order, perfectly preserving their texture. The staff is very friendly, and the man who seems to be the owner closely oversees the kitchen and ensures top-notch quality. Everything here is organized exactly as an ideal cafe or restaurant should be. I hardly ever give 5 stars for food, but this is absolutely a 5 out of 5.

The food was outstanding and came out in under 10 minutes, which was impressive given how busy the restaurant was. Every dish we tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavor. The Vietnam coconut curry was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The mango salad was light, crisp, and bursting with freshness, offering the perfect balance alongside the curry. Those two dishes were absolute highlights, but everything else we ordered was also delicious. What made the experience even better was the value for money. Portions were generous, prices were affordable, and the quality of food and service far exceeded expectations. Morning Glory truly captures the essence of Vietnamese cuisine while offering great service in a warm and welcoming setting. We left completely satisfied and would happily return again and again.

We read about this place and decided to go there for dinner. And we were not disappointed! The place was quite packed but the friendly waitress directed us upstairs and we seated at a wonderful corner. Beautiful setting, cody and well placed. The waiters were very helpful, patient and polite, actually very professional. Very difficult to make a choice as all dishes looked tempting and delicious. The portions are quite modest so so chance of over eating… Even the desserts are wonderful. All considering, good food, wonderful setting and reasonable pricing. We recommend this restaurant and we will be back to try other dishes.

Pricier than other places but worth it to try a range of local specialities done well and in a lovely environment. We especially loved the sauce for the betel leaf beef - we ordered a second bowl of sauce! Our cocktails were enjoyable as well and the service was great. The mango Sticky rice is also delicious - with mango pieces inside the rice as well!

Often sceptical when restaurants are constantly suggested but this one lives up to the hype. Amazing traditional Hoi a food presented impeccably. Service was warm and personable which is rare for popular places. Building is beautiful historic setting and love how you can see cooking in the middle of the restaurant. Loved every dish I had on two visits here particular shout out to the cao lau and white rose dumplings. Didn't get asked to review which shows the food speaks for itself.

I’m not even sure this is considered a Vietnamese cuisine as all dishes has stronger flavors than anywhere else in our long trip. Everything we ordered was superb, and funny enough the stir fried morning glory dish was the less favorable one. Do note that the place is quite crowded so it’s best to wait a bit longer and get one of the outdoor tables on the balcony or the front.
Tal M — Google review
Morning Glory Original is one of those restaurants in Hội An that everyone seems to recommend, and I can see why. The dishes I ordered were all good and met expectations especially considering the price point. The place has a nice vibe, though it definitely caters more to foreigners than locals. Still, it’s a solid spot for a comfortable meal in the Old Town 🌸🍴

We originally had our sights set on a different restaurant, but it was packed and honestly, we’re so glad it was, because it led us here! The food was tasty and everything came out super fast. The menu was extensive with loads of great options. We loved the crispy roast pork with rice, the stuffed squid and the morning glory. Everything was full of flavour. We also tried a couple of desserts and they were sooo good. The vibe was a little dingy. The table could’ve used a quick wipe down. All in all, highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious food tho!

Delicious food! I thought it was gonna be a gimmick or tourist trap but the food was genuinely good. Pictured here are morning glory salad, roasted pork with tamarind sauce, steamed fish in banana leaf. I also had coffee at Poison Cafe and it was really good. I would recommend everyone to try any of the restaurants under this group.

Vietnamese restaurant
MANGO MANGO is a popular river-side restaurant located in a bustling shopping district, offering a modern twist on traditional Vietnamese flavors. The restaurant is known for its highly recommended duck breast and papaya salad, as well as its spicy and fruity tiger prawns. Situated across the riverbank from the Japanese Bridge, it provides a stunning view of the Thu Bon River and the bustling night market.
Excellent restaurant in the heart of old town Hoi An. Cocktails are excellent and great value during happy hour. Food is Asian fusion and very tasty. Service can be a little hit and miss but I’ll definitely be back. Location is exceptional for views of the river and people watching.

Fantastic! Elevated cuisine lovingly prepared and served by the kitchen and staff who all clearly enjoy working there. Yes, it’s a bit pricier than your average, but well worth the trip and an absolute must-visit for any foodie or traveler. With views to both the night market, lantern displays, as well as the river and walking street—Mango Mango showcases Hoi An’s rich food culture with a touch of worldly elegance and a taste of luxury. “I Love Seafood” dish was a highlight!
Gio D — Google review
Had dinner here last night, and it was all delicious! We shared starters and mains all were great! Slightly more expensive than other places in Hoi An, but very good quality, and great service! You can also sit outside with a view of the lantern boats which is stunning!
Esther B — Google review
Mango Mango is a great spot right in the heart of Hoi An Old Town, and it ticks all the right boxes. Best spot would be the balcony or upstairs which offers great view overseeing the sunset in the old town. The food was excellent – the pork chop was particularly memorable, thick yet incredibly juicy. They also offer a wide variety of cocktails, including some unique Mango Mango house specials, which are definitely worth trying. One of the best parts is the overall vibe – you get to enjoy good food and drinks, take in the view, and even listen to live music from the venue next door. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. Yes, prices are slightly on the higher side, but for the quality, service, and atmosphere, it’s well worth it.

🍹 Mango Mango – Great vibes by the river This was my first dinner in Hoi An after arriving — Mango Mango is right by the night market, full of energy and people enjoying their evening. The view is lively, with lantern boats on the river and lots of families walking by. I had a cocktail and dinner here — both were really good. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was perfect for a first night in town. Highly recommended!
Virginia L — Google review
Mango Mango exceeded expectations in terms of service, elevated Vietnamese cuisine, ambience and location. We enjoyed the duck tortilla appetizer and the red snapper with micro greens and rice. Don’t forget to add the squeeze of lime provided onto your snapper! We were served fresh chilli because I love my food spicy. Overall an excellent experience!
Sona V — Google review
Well decored but lack of sufficient lighting to have nice photos. Menu in English 100% & no Vietnamese. Waitress also confirm restaurant is designed for foreigners. Food is acceptable but too expensive comparing vs other local food shops. The staff attitude are definitely under expectation & not welcome local people. To summarize: not recommend.
Mai C — Google review
I visited Mango Mango on recommendation of a friend… and it certainly didn’t disappoint! The service was warm and attentive. Seated on the balcony, it was the perfect spot for people watching and to soak up the riverside views of the Japanese Bridge and Thu Bon River. I ordered an Orange Mojito and the Keeping Flower Ly. The dish was packed with fresh and flavorsome ingredients, plentiful and super delicious. Although, slightly higher than local dining costs, the superior quality, friendly service and fabulous location were well worth it and of repeat visits.

Vietnamese restaurant
Located at 50 Tran Cao Van Street in Hoi An City, Minh Hien Vegetarian Restaurant offers a taste of traditional Vietnamese vegetarian cuisine. The restaurant's expert chef prepares a variety of flavorful dishes that showcase the essence of local veggie cuisine. Visitors are recommended to indulge in the culinary delights during a Hoi An day tour or Vietnam day trip.
Two weeks in Vietnam and this was by far the best meal I had. The menu is very well put together and has so many nice dishes that feel very well thought and stands out from other Vietnamese restaurants. Our star was the tofu in passionfruit sauce, the flower dumpling, the mushrooms in the banana leaf as starter as well the garlic rice (so flavorful!) - so pretty much everything. I wish I had more days in Hoi An to come back and try everything else too ❤️
Apostolos P — Google review
We had the set menu for 2 people and although my partner didn't like the pancake (I loved it), she said they were the best spring rolls so far. All the dishes were full of flavour and the price was very good for the variety and portion sizes. The staff were very friendly and they gave a little phrase card to help with Vietnamese. The tables were quirky and they also had very nice teas.
Isaac P — Google review
This small vegetarian restaurant is a little hard to find, but it’s really worth it. When you go inside, it feels like a special place from the past. There are many small things from people who visited before, like messages and personal items. It feels warm and full of memories. The owner is very kind and friendly. A nice lady also works there and helps with everything. They make you feel welcome and relaxed. The food is very tasty. I really liked the stuffed tofu in banana leaf, the morning glory, the lemongrass tofu, and the soups. They also have different kinds of eggs like boiled eggs and omelets, which I missed a lot while traveling. If you don’t want sugar in your food or drinks, just tell the owner. He remembers it now every time, which is really nice. This place is peaceful, full of love, and perfect if you enjoy good vegetarian food.

The best vegetarian restaurant we've eaten at in Vietnam! Everything was tasty and fresh. The green banana stir fry minh hien special was the bomb! The eggplant was tender, the fried spring roll is hot and delectable! I would return if I could... too bad we're only on a day trip to Hoi An
Frances L — Google review
Absolutely delicious! Even my meat eating friends loved it :) For us vegetarians it’s a great way to experience the local specialties. Everything was great and the service so friendly. The location is so charming and nestled within local family homes. Highly recommended!
Pascal T — Google review
I had the set menu 1 and a sua da coffee for 184k dong. I was very hungry when I arrived and even then I had to force down the last few bites - the portions are generous for sure! The service is fast and friendly. I really liked the spring rolls and wonton with vegetable medley. I enjoyed the dumplings and noodle soup less, not because they weren’t well made, they just had flavors that are less suited to my palate. That being said, I’d recommend the set 1 menu if you want a filling, fresh meal with some Vietnamese flavors!
Peter B — Google review
Quiet vegetarian restaurant serving an interesting variety of dishes. We had set menu 2. The friend pancake was a bit oily to our tastes, but everything else was amazing. Best spring rolls I’ve had as well. They also have high chairs for you little ones.
Erusha T — Google review
Amazing vegetarian food! As a meat lover this was one of the few times I felt satisfied after a meal. My vegetarian Indian family loved the food, which speaks to how bold the flavours are. A must visit if you want to try the vegetarian versions of the local dishes. I recommend the crispy pancake, wontons, juices, and stuff tofu grilled in banana leaf. Juices and smoothies were fresh too!

Cafe 43, located just outside the city center of Hoi An, is a popular spot known for its affordable prices and excellent service. The restaurant offers an extensive menu featuring both Western and Vietnamese cuisine, catering to both vegetarians and meat lovers. It has been a go-to place for budget-conscious travelers for many years and has even earned a spot in Lonely Planet guide books. Visitors have praised the fresh flavors of the dishes, with favorites including the mango papaya salad with large shrimp chips.
The homebrewed dark beer was a nice change from other commercial beers. We received speedy service and excellent dishes. The alley was much quieter than the major tourist spots. The price was reasonable.

If you don't eat here, then you haven't experienced Hoi An. Lovely food but the local craft beer... Goodness! Had the opportunity to taste the 🍌 whiskey. Sure as hell beat some commercial whiskey brands out there!!! Highly recommended for sure and thank you for giving me the taste of Vietnam!!!

Food here is addictive! Tofu Lau Cau is binge-worthy and Eggplant in Tomato sauce was incredible tasty but not in a Tomato sauce that we were expecting? The bigest surprise was the non-wonton wontons (vegetarian) - essentially 4 of the best tortilla chip you've have with a fresh mango & tomato salsa on top. With homemade brown ale it all went down very easily. Won't say its healthy for you but you'll feel good after so try this one or the one across the street. Service was good, friendly and felt like homestyle cooking. Wouldt not be surprised if MSG is a prime ingredient. Vibe is inviting and the elevated seats were my favorite. All came out to 253,000Dong - no complaints.

I didn’t get photos of all the food I had here, but this is the BEST pork and Cao Lau of all the places in Vietnam I have visited so far. I keep coming back now for at least one meal every day. The fried noodle dishes are also very good and shouldn’t go unnoticed. You can’t go wrong with anything! Vegetarian or meat-eater, it’s all delicious! Also, get a glass of the ice tea; it’s so refreshing and not overly sweetened.

The atmosphere is ideal for enjoying a meal, with the option to dine inside or outside in a small garden. This is a spectacular little vegetarian restaurant down a leafy lane. The main restaurant area is in the gardens of a large villa with a pool, mural in the wall, fruit trees and hilarious cats chasing each other around. The menu is outstanding with a rich selection of Vietnamese dishes and sumptuous combinations. Every dish ordered felt bespoke and customised to taste from the salads to the baked tofu. Quite gorgeous and filling. The staff are wonderful, sitting with us to talk and explain dishes and various ideas for combinations. The price was extremely reasonable considering the high quality of dishes. The coffee was glorious and the atmosphere perfect.

Hidden gem worth a visit ! The place is so relaxing. We felt we were having lunch in the lovely backyard of a friend’s house. The food is absolutely delicious and so affordable for the quality you are getting. We tried the Pad Thaï, coconut salad and spring rolls, all delicious. The host is a lovely lady from HCMC who speaks perfect English and gave us her recommendations. Their multiple cat and dog pets make the place so homey and welcoming. You can also take a dip in the beautiful pool before or after your meal. Absolutely love the place and will be back for sure !

Ordered fish and wine (having wine on the menu was personally great after 2,5 weeks of only beer and rice wine on the menu for me. I have been mainly seeking local food. Paid 750 000 vnd for fish and two glasses of wine which felt like a splurge after eating under 200 000VND a meal … fish was good, not mind blowing. I enjoyed onion pickles and pineapple salsa though Service - non existent ie they take order, bring food, take cash. Street vendors walk in freely - which is annoying when you want to have your peach and quiet and staff did not ask them out. What’s not okay is the hidden taxes - they come on the bill as a surprise. I only saw this tax being added in hotels in Sapa which is more understandable. This tax charge is unusual to my personal experience

Have mixed sensations about this place.... My miss insisted hardly to go here as she lived in Thailand for a year so gave it a go. Service was quick and efficient and place is beautiful.. however: 1- Portions were small and lacking of chicken compared to other cheaper local places. 2- They will charge you extra VAT without letting you know (nor it is written in the menu).. that's an UNPLEASANT surprise.. 10% for alcohol and 8 % for food ... Never ever in any place in Vietnam they've done this to us.... Hope the owner takes note of this and , at least, write this down in the menu. Overall speaking --> Good and tasty food but lacking condiments & overpriced for what it is. Not worthy in my opinion. Hint: escape from touristic areas and go where locals go.

We saw this restaurant thru their signage at the street. To be able to go to this restaurant you have to pass thru a small alley which is a short passage only. Stumbled across this place as it was pouring with rain and the closest restaurant to my hotel, now regretting having not eaten here every night since I arrived. I chose the Lemongrass Fish and it was utterly divine, the fish was perfectly cooked delicate and flakey, seasoned to utter perfection too. I don't often bother to review but I've been in Vietnam for almost a month and this is one of my top meals since I've been here. You know when a dish just makes you smile the whole time your eating it, yea that's this.

Came on a 2 week trip to Vietnam with my dad from Hanoi, down to Ho Chi Minh, we flew to de nang and drove down here, this place was right near my hotel, and for dinner I ordered fries, sea food soup and choco milkshake, but unfortunately I underestimated my hunger, and couldn't finish it, but it was still so good that I convinced my dad to take me back the next day for lunch, and I had a cheese pizza, and it made me feel at home with that amazing taste, i also met the owners kids and wife. It is a nice family owned restaurant, I am also Australian, and the owner had aussie phrases all over the place, which made me and my Dad laugh, the guy is so humble and im definitely gonna miss this place. I hope that this place doesn't close down anytime soon, cause I would love to come back and eat hear later on in my life. Our trip isn't even over and this is my favourite restaurant of the trip. I very much regret not having tipped you and not taking a photo with you guys, amazing food, thanks so much!

I ate alone but the service was warm and genuine. He picked quickly that I was an Aussie- maybe their major clientele as a lot of Aussie slang sayings on boards around the place.. Service was attentive - great vibes, great English and more importantly great food at a ridiculously reasonable price!

A heart warming place with a lovely family and delicious food with decent portions! A must go in Hoi An indeed!

Very friendly staff and very tasty food. Highly recommended and very fair price. Will return.

Had the seafood soup, absolutely delicious, full of seafood, very filling., also had the garlic bread, not your traditional garlic bread, about 10 times better. The restaurant is amazing with lots of Aussie themes and world flags, beautiful fish tanks and a great atmosphere. I also tried the home made wines on offer,, WOW, the Blueberry wine is amazing, 43%, and I’m not a wine drinker. Definitely recommend this restaurant and we’ll be back.

Hoa Hien Restaurant is a popular dining spot in Hoi An, known for its convenient location with a view of the picturesque Thu Bon River. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring famous Hoi An dishes and regional specialties like salads, curries, soups, dumplings, rolls, kebabs, and pancakes.
My family and I came to have lunch and loved this restaurant. We had the set menu with papaya salad, dumplings, grilled chicken and eggplant. Everything was delicious. I am gluten free and I was able to eat everything in the menu. I would very much recommend it.

Absolutely amazing authenticate Vietnemese food. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful setting along the river, we could even see a small parade on the otherside of the river and we could also watch the boats with their beautiful lanterns cruising past. The entrance and inside is also very romantic and set up well.

I am staying by the river in Hoi An and pass this lovely restaurant daily. I did stop and have drink, the other day, but thought I’d try something to eat. I ordered the white rose dumplings, which were very nice …. I will definitely come back in the evening for something a bit more substantial!!! The restaurant is very clean and decorated very well. Staff are polite and friendly.

Love the service and the food! We had white rose, pancake and beef pho which was the local cuisine. Or you can also opt for their combo set 180,000/pax. Avocado smoothie was awesome

Cozy spot by the Hoa Hien river in Hoi An. Pineapple fried rice with juicy prawns, a bright citrus–seafood salad, and crackling bánh xèo wrapped in herbs. The green sauce sings. Kind staff, fair prices, calming water views. We left full, smiling—and a little in love with this place. Truly loved it!!

Cơm Linh is a charming and cozy Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver that offers top-notch home-style cuisine. The signature dish, The Claypot, is a must-try for its unique flavors and slow-cooked perfection. While the wait for food may be longer due to the use of fresh ingredients, the depth of flavor in dishes like claypot pork with pineapple and sugarcane is truly exceptional.
Heavy queue for lunch time but we managed to wait only about 10 minutes. Their headline roast duck is worth the wait. Good flavour and moist especially dipped in the gravy sauce. All other dishes are good quality as well. While the roast pork is my least favourite with skin on chewy side, but having it with vinaigrette rice noodle is refreshing in the summer heat.
Dru L — Google review
Our best meal in Hoi An! We had the garlic rice with duck and the pork noodle salad. It was incredibly delicious. We had a very short wait but were able to peruse the menu while we were waiting. The staff were lovely and our food came quickly. It was also super cheap for incredible food.
Jessica F — Google review
First of all - this place is opened beyond 8 p.m.! We ate here several dishes: cơm gà, pho with beef and duck, mì quảng, among others, and they were all very tasty. If I had to pick one favourite I'd pick the pho with duck. The broth is excellent and not too fatty. The waitresses brought dishes to us relatively quickly, usually within 10 minutes during the full restaurant occupancy. The portions could be slightly larger but overall it's a safe and good bet to visit this restaurant while exploring Hoi An.
Dominik W — Google review
It was our first visit which we chanced upon the eatery while strolling the neighborhood, and we were truly impressed from the moment we walked in. We were greeted warmly by the service team. Everyone was consistently friendly, smiling, and genuinely welcoming, which immediately set a positive tone. Our server gave excellent recommendations, and every dish we tried was light yet absolutely flavourful. The platter, in particular, stood out for its variety and thoughtfully balanced in texture and taste. The ambiance added even more to the experience. We loved the traditional Vietnamese wooden décor, complemented by charming hanging lanterns that created a cozy and authentic atmosphere. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with good food, great service, and a lovely setting.
Danny J — Google review
Com Linh clearly offers a huge selection of duck dishes, and we were excited to try a few items. Overall, it was a mixed experience with some definite highlights, but the main courses fell a little flat. We started with the Duck Fresh Spring Rolls, and they were just okay. While the fresh veggies and bright green mango inside were really tasty, the duck didn't complement the citrus flavor at all—the combination felt slightly off. Honestly, we think these would be much better if they were made with shrimp instead of duck. For a side, we had the Morning Glory with Garlic. It was fresh and served with a good amount of garlic, but it wasn't anything special or memorable. Our main dish was the Roast Duck with Garlic Rice. This was also just okay. The roast duck lacked that deep, rich flavor you expect, and the accompanying rice was bland—we couldn't taste any garlic in the "Garlic Rice" at all. However, the drinks were excellent! We had the Mango Shake and the Cucumber Juice, and both were perfectly refreshing and definitely the best part of the meal. If you go to Com Linh, try the refreshing drinks, but you might want to consider ordering non-duck mains, or asking for extra seasoning/flavor if possible.
Joe M — Google review
After a morning of walking in the rain, finding a lunch spot as yummy as this was a good outcome. We ordered 1/4 of the roast duck, roast duck pho and the chicken rice that we understood to be popular base on what I have read. Tasty and thoroughly enjoyed!!!
A L — Google review
I don’t usually give reviews but this was hands down the best meal I had in 1 month and a half traveling around Asia. We had wantons for starters and my friends also had the duck spring rolls, they were very good. The star of the show was the roasted duck noodles: long story short is a pork salad (I know it sounds strange), a mind blowing one I might add. The pork was the crispiest juiciest ever and the overall bowl was full of flavor. I could not recommend this dish and this restaurant enough!!!!
Beatriz M — Google review
Happened to stumble upon this restaurant after numerous suggestions. They specialize in duck, so be prepared for hanging ducks from the kitchen. She was busy and I waited across the road for about 10-15mins (not long considering the crowd) before being seated. The food came out very quickly. The spring rolls were super hot on arrive (to my detriement I burnt my wee tongue on them). I got the duck drumstick soup w noodles. The duck was delicious. The broth was a bit to salty for me and I was expecting an array of flavour which wasn't there. Next time I'd probably get the duck rice. In terms of service, in hindsight they were extremely busy but at times there didn't seem to be much order to the chaos. People wanting to pay would hover around the kitchen or the counter which made it a bit uncomfortable if you were trying to eat with someone literally standing over you. Maybe it would be good if they took the bill to the table early or maybe had a counter situated slightly away from the dinning tables. Alas, it wasn't a make or break!!

If you find yourself heading to Cua Dai beach, make sure to swing by 339 Restaurant for a delightful culinary experience that will set the tone for your day. Known for its Hoi An-style pho, this eatery offers a unique twist on traditional flavors that distinguishes it from others. Diners rave about the freshness of their rice pancakes and the delectable White Rose dish, which leaves you wanting more.
Totally must visit if you like Vietnamese Food. Returned after our initial visits last year (2017) & I can say hand-on-heart the food is just as brilliant. Vu greets you with a warm smile & is able to help you choose from an extensive menu. His English is impeccable, his service is perfect. The food (cooked by Vu's mum) is consistently good, really really good. We have returned to other restaurants after a great meal & were disappointed by the food. But not here, which shows what a super chef Vu's mum is. There is a great selection of Vietnamese food, with a good choice for vegetarians. Also Western food available, but why waste the chef's talents. Would recommend the mango salad (salad xoài), tofu & tomato (dãuhú la hàn) & the sizzling pancake (bãnh xêo veggie style). Indoor & outdoor seating, with plenty of shade from the over-hanging trees. Very relaxed vibe - great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 10mins by scooter/taxi from Hoi An or 5 mins from An Bang beach. Prices incredibly reasonable.

In my opinion it is the best restaurant in Hoi An. Had rice pancakes for lunch. It was amazing. Taste so fresh. Went for White Rose for the dinner. Was really delicious but not enough, since I was really hungry. So I decided to get the cao Tao(?! The local yellow huddle soup) I tried it day before in other restaurant. It was ok. But this one is just different. It's made with love I guess :) the owner and his family are very friendly. I think the mother of the owner does the work in the kitchen. Definitely a must go place in Hoi an !

I stopped in here on a bike ride around the village to see the vegetable gardens. The owners were very friendly, service was good and the food was very nice. The fried wontons with tropical salsa were especially good. The restaurant is right next to the road, but the courtyard makes it feel more secluded.

We were looking for something on our way back from the beach, less crowded, and stumbled on this place. Our group got cao lau and bahn xeo and everything was great. The plate of bahn xeo was giant, we thought it was both orders on one plate but then another arrived. The family was super nice and explained an event going on in the street.

From start to finish, our lunch at 339 was incredible. We had the fresh spring rolls to start, accompanied by a dish off the local menu (I can't remember the name - noodle bowl with peanuts, shrimp, onion, tomato), and the chicken curry with steamed rice. 10/10 on presentation, flavour, and care. We later found out the owner's Mother is the only chef. If you have a moment while visiting Hoi An, check out 339. You won't be sorry, and you'll be given the VIP experience/treatment.

ROM Vegetarian Bistro in Hoi An is a must-visit for those who love mushrooms and are looking for a fantastic dining option. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this bistro has you covered. Their fresh spring rolls with spicy dipping sauce are highly addictive. Located just across the street from the famous but crowded Rosies Cafe, ROM Bistro offers outstanding quality and quantity at extremely affordable prices.
Perfect for those looking for an authentic Vietnamese experience. We were the only westerners there but the owners spoke great. Most affordable meal we’ve had in Hoi An!! Had 4 dishes and 3 drinks and still less than $20. Really recommend the black sesame drink too if you like black sesame. The lemongrass tea was so yummy. We basically had a lemongrass themed meal - lemongrass fried rice, spicy lemongrass tofu, lemongrass tea. If you get something spicy just know it will be very spicy!! The black sesame drink will wash away the spicyness. And get some ginger for your digestion after eating the fried and spicy food.

It’s a local Vietnamese restaurant mixed with Korean dishes - vegetarian friendly! The food is fresh and delicious. Not a lot of foreigners are sitting here. I love the place and the atmosphere. Especially the black sesame drink is sooo good. Hopefully I am always friendly welcomed by the kind owner and family

We had such a good 1st time we came back again. Very delicious food, full vegetarian menu, many local dishes available and affordable prices. The staff is kind and remembered us on our second visit 💚 The atmosphere is relaxed, quiet enough to conversate, kinda small but that makes it beautiful in my opinion. Highly recommended!

this vegan restaurant totally hit the spot! The Pad Thai was SO fragrant, loaded with that wok-fried goodness and just the right amount of eggy aroma (totally plant-based, but wow, it tricks me! And the fried spring rolls! Crispy on the outside, packed with this crazy flavorful filling inside. Seriously, I could eat these every day, really love the dipping sauce perfect combo of tangy, sweet, and a little kick of spice, cuts through the richness like a dream. and DO NOT skip the Cambodian-style crispy rice. It looks simple, but one bite and—CRUNCH—so light, crispy, and honestly addictive. Such a creative dish actually!!! Highly recommend this place if you’re into bold flavors and crunchy goodness.

Really loved this vegan / veggie place in Hoi An. We ordered 1. Spicy lemon grass mushroom . It was served with rice. Loved the spicy flavours paired with rice. 2. Quang noodle soup- loved the noodle soup. Had a nice tangy flavour 3. Spring rolls- flavourful crispy spring rolls. It was a bit too oily but. Quantiles were good. 2 mains were enough for 4 people. The chili sauce served here is particularly noteworthy, adding an extra kick to the meal. Prices are affordable, making it a popular choice among locals.

Very nice food served by an old grandma and grandpa. Affordable price and chill atmosphere - away from the crowds. Will eat here again!
Diep V — Google review
The food is nice but be careful because there’s no price and when it’s time to pay they’ll charge you unreasonable price. We got asked 120k for the chicken salad which to me sounds way overpriced for something that I thought would cost 60-65k. The chicken rice is 35k, serving is not big but it’s very nice. Overall the food is nice but confirm the price before ordering the food to avoid surprises.
Alberto M — Google review
Good chicken and rice. I was the only customer in there. I wasn’t offered anything to drink. No tea or water. If you want to eat good chicken and rice with no other expectations, then it’s fine.

Its delicious and affordable. We got 40k for the rice chicken and 150k for the chicken. The restaurant ran by an old lovely couple so def authentic food
Ngọc N — Google review
The chili sauce is LIFTED. Do not offer sweet fish sauce as other places, only soy sauce and chili sauce. Tried soy sauce at first, boring. Then try the chili sauce, hands down hidden gem here. Do check price yourself since menu is vnese, chicken rice is 40kvnd but chicken salad without rice is 120kvnd intended for sharing. Eng seems to be difficult to the owner.
Tín Đ — Google review
The food is okay, not too good but not too bad. The price is reasonable (40k). But it is super hot when I dined in here.
Nguyen Q — Google review
Simple and satisfying! This place is hidden away from the main street. It seems that many locals frequent this place too. They only have 3 items on the menu, two dishes with chicken and rice (one shredded chicken and the other chopped), and a chicken salad. I cannot speak to the chopped chicken, but both the shredded chicken and salad were delicious. Add some of the hot sauce in oil and soy sauce and you won't be disappointed. There are no prices listed, but for Westerners this should not be a deterrent in any way. One chicken salad, two shredded chicken, and one beer was VND 220,000. The family who own and run the restaurant were very nice. Both evenings that we ate there we arrived just after they closed in the evening and it was not a problem. Actually we weren't aware that they were technically closed until the second night after we were done eating when checking out other reviews on Google. The street leading to this small alley is full of other restaurants, busy with other patrons. But I would recommend bypassing those for something truly authentic, local, delicious, not to mention very reasonable.

Cao lầu Không Gian Xanh is a must-try local dish in Hoi An, known for its special chewy rice noodles made with water from the Ba Le well. This popular pork dish features char siu-style pork, greens, herbs, cracklings, and a slightly sweet broth. The influence of Japanese and Chinese cultures is evident in this unique dish, with thick noodles similar to Japanese udon, Chinese-style rice crackers and pork, and Vietnamese broth.
⭐ Delicious Hidden Gem – A Must-Try in Hoi An! We stumbled upon this restaurant after a long walk and were so glad we did! On our first visit, we ordered the Won Ton, Cao Lao, and an herbal drink—all were absolutely delicious. The flavors were so good that we came back the next day for more! This time, we enjoyed the Cao Lao again (it’s that good!) along with refreshing coconut drinks. The food is authentic, flavorful, and great value for money. If you’re in Hoi An, don’t miss this spot—it’s a true hidden gem! We’ll definitely be back.

The Cao Lau was absolutely delicious. There seems to be mostly locals here as well. We also had the mini clams/mussels salad, white rose dumplings and herbal drink. The drink was delicious and refreshing but not herbal tho haha. I will still order it again as it was good. Overall, everything I ordered was good and I would recommend this place
WG T — Google review
It was easy to get there since we took a GrabCar. There was a short walk involved, but nothing too tiring. The restaurant itself was quite simple—no frills—but the food was surprisingly delicious and everything was well-prepared. I ordered chicken rice thinking it would be the Singapore-style version, but turns out it was a different kind. Still, it was tasty in its own way, and I enjoyed the twist! Thank you, Vietnam!
Rp H — Google review
Damn this Cao Lau is good. Rich in flavor with hearty pieces of meat. The sauce clung well to the noodles which gratefully had a bit of a bite to them. It comes with fresh green chilis to eat with the meal which were snappy and grassy. Also for 40k VND it's a deaaaaal. Bonus points for the interior decorating. It's the first restaurant I've seen which has covered it's walls with fake grass, it's a vibe for sure. We will be coming back to here for sure

Really authentic staff, I’m quite well travelled for last 20-30ish years in Asia so I can really tell the difference between lip service and being authentic. And they are really authentic and sincere. They helps us to understand the menu and updated us on which is the most popular dishes there, and he is right man!! Too for everyone, go early else have to Que , Cau Lau ( braised pork slice with Udon like noodles ) when mixed with the chilli… awesome awesome. And also the Bun Thit Nuong ( rice vermicelli with seasoned grilled pork) mixed with the calamasi and veg…. Very good , also the herbal drink is also good

While English may not be widely spoken and there are some concerns about the service, the food is highly recommended. However, it's suggested to avoid the seafood.
Love this place. It’s not easy to find good local food in Hoi An, as many spots cater mainly to tourists — but we accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant, and it was worth every penny. The fresh heated oysters were a standout — delicious and affordably priced. We also really enjoyed their marinated grilled dishes, which were full of flavour. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something authentic and satisfying! On top of that, they were really friendly and accommodating. A must try!

💎 What a feast! Absolute joy of taste 🙀 The combo set for 99k is just unbelievable — three kinds of meat, fresh, flavorful, and you grill it yourself right at the table. It’s not just food — it’s a full experience. There’s something truly magical about this kind of dinner: the sound of the fire, the smell of grilled meat, the small talk, the laughter — and that quiet joy of cooking your own perfect bite. The staff are wonderful — young, kind, and full of good energy. They even let me drink my tea while I grilled — simple, warm moments that make travel feel human again. Came here twice for sunset — and every time it felt like a celebration. Perfect food, warm lights, and that cozy BBQ glow. Hidden gem of local life. Highly recommended for anyone who loves real flavor and atmosphere. 🫶🔥

We came early after our daytrip so there weren't a lot of people, but the place is really nice. The people were very kind and helped us with some questions we had. We had a small hotpot for 2 people and some bbq dishes (oysters with scallion sauce and goat) and deepfried crab balls. Everything was seriously delicious. We got beer in ice cold metal bottles of 1 litre which were really nice! Saved it to come back to when I'm around the Hoi Am area in the future.

Pho Xua Riverside is a popular restaurant known for serving authentic Northern Vietnamese pho, which originated from Nam Dinh city. The dish has historical ties to Chinese influence in Vietnam due to the country's long history of Chinese rule. The restaurant is often bustling with customers, especially in the evenings when there may be a queue outside. It is particularly favored by Korean tourists who appreciate both the food and the prices.
Beautiful place to try Hoi An dishes. Chicken Rice and White Rose Dumplings were really good. They have an outdoor patio dining by the river which makes the overall experience pleasant.

We visited this restaurant multiple times during our short time spent in Hoi An, the food arrived in a short amount of time and it all tasted wonderful, clean, flavourful and well balanced. This was the best restaurant we went to during our stay here. The restaurant seems like a family run business, who are very welcoming and attentive. If you like great tasting authentic Vietnamese cuisine with an incredible view, this is the place I would recommend, would definitely come back! P.S: we pretty much tried the whole menu, everything was spot on but the “white rose” was our favourite 🤩

There was no one here when we first showed up and we got a bit nervous because there were people at the other restaurants next door but other diners soon joined in and enjoyed their beautiful, authentic meals. Can’t recommend more highly.

Mi Quang Bich is a hidden gem located just 2.5 km west of Hoi An's Ancient Town, offering an authentic taste of the region with its renowned Mi Quang and Cao Lau dishes. This charming riverside eatery prides itself on using high-quality ingredients sourced from local villages, including rice noodles and crackers from Phu Chiem village, along with fresh vegetables from Tra Que.
This was my first meal in hoi an. After a long travel day all the way from phu quoc I was too tired to rent a bike and just walked a short distance here to this restaurant. The staff were friendly but it was close to closing time and I think they were also tired. I ordered the best thing on the menu with was their mixed noodles with lots of meat seafood and eggs. Came with greens, herbs and a big crispy cracker. It was delicious and filling. Only 60k which was the most expensive thing on the menu. Also ordered a drink, 7up 20k. Overall it was good. Recommended

Came here on some strong recommendations and wasn’t disappointed. The Mi Quang was tasty and a good serving size for 40000. The lady serving was sweet too. Worth the extra walk down the river from the old town or at least to use a Grab!

Spectacular. Cao Lau is my favourite Vietnamese dish and this is the best Cao Lau I've ever tried. The price is great too and the family is very friendly.

My Quang has become my favourite comfort food in Vietnam. I'm happy to try anything but when I want something "familiar" this is what I look for. And this one certainly hit all the right notes! Great broth, great pork and all the rest just combined perfectly! And friendly , welcoming people, so i highly recommend this place for it's My Quang

Very friendly owner, enjoyed noodle soup with shrimp, beef and chicken, very tasty, then had long chat with owner. Service very fast. Prices very cheap as usual in Ha Noi. Close to the pottery village if you want food before or after visiting, easy walking distance

Very friendly family owned local vietnamese restaurant specialised in My Quang. My wife and I went there on a weekday afternoon for a late lunch and it was very delicious. It was not busy at that time. We had a chat with the owner, who was very supportive and welcoming. We ate My Quang and Cao Lau. Both meals were excellent and we also got a taste of the homemade chilli paste/sambal, which is with certainty a highlight you should not miss. We will always remember the kind owner, her family and recommend this place to all our friends.

This was the part of my best experience of Hoi An trip that right place to try Cau Lau and Mi Quang. The restaurant is operated by 3rd generations and be loved by locals too. If you could find this place, you're super lucky. Pricing is as the below. Mi Quang : 50000 (pricing for Seafood, chicken, pork all mixed dish) Cau Lau : 40000 (or 45k, I'm not sure) Rice Cracker : 5000 If you don't eat the rice cracker, they will not take money for it but that rice cracker also one of Hoi An culture, so I recommend you to try it. How to eat is the same with other noodle menus in Vietnam. Put veges into your bowl, squeeze some lime, put some sauce and crashed chilly in your flavour. You can eat fresh chillies if you need more spicy taste. If you're brave enough. And don't forget to put some rice crackers into your bowl for more crunches. It's super better to try Cau Lau here or the next restaurant. The honest pricing and traditional smoked Cau Lau noodle can be found here. Restaurants in Hoi An are all over priced and not good as like here. The lady restaurant owner can speak English. Try to avoid peak hour. Take your photo of your dishes and if you feel they are over pricing, show your photo and count the dishes. Maybe they were confused. And drink is not really that cheap here. THIS IS THE MUST PLACE YOU HAVE TO VISIT.

We ordered delicious mixed meat mì quàng after visiting the pottery village in Hoi An. Our waitress was lovely and told her about how her family had been serving this food for many years. She taught us how to customise our dishes (the chilli sauce was great) and served us tea afterwards. A 10/10 find, really glad we found this lovely restaurant.

Cơm Gà Giếng Đình Hội An is a small but clean and neat restaurant located on Phan Chau Trinh Street. This spot is popular among locals for breakfast, often crowded in the early morning. The menu features dishes like Cao lau and Mi Quang, best enjoyed with local beer Larue.
Very good authentic Vietnamese food that locals had recommended to us. They have a lot of the food that’s traditional to this area of Vietnam. The advice was good and the food came out quickly. Very affordable prices as well

The chicken rice cost 120,000 VND, which was the most expensive item, so we expected it to be the best in the shop. However, it was disappointing—the meat was very hard and dry. The environment was dirty, though the boss was friendly. We tried this shop because the other one had a very long queue. Not recommended.

Nice place to have delicious chicken rice and Cao lau, Quang noodles in Hoi An. The staffs are friendly. Always overcrowded and you will have to wait for the tables.

I was looking for a local hole in the wall sort of restaurant and stumbled upon this one. It’s very affordable and the staff was very welcoming. They got our order wrong but they changed it right away and apologized many times. And they tried their best to communicate which we really appreciate. Don’t expect a gourmet meal here but it’s authentic and lovely. We ordered the chicken pho and quang noodle. The chicken pho was a bit on the plain side but it still tasted great! I personally liked the quang noodle better because of the flavor. It is true that there’s only one piece of pork belly but there’re shrimp and quail eggs.

Unassuming but fantastic food and service! We had the cao lau which is a local dish and was amazing, and we also had the fried wontons which I will be having dreams about. So good, would recommend!

One of the best resteraunts in Hoi An. I’ve been back over 5 times and recommended to all my friends. The Com Ga (with added morning glory for the garlicky goodness!) is to die for, as well as the wan tons. I ran here after drinking to make sure I could get food before close! All the staff are really friendly and will do anything to make sure you’re comfortable and happy. Lovely food! Lovely Place.

It was run by a lady who was friendly but the food just so-so. Cheap but the environment not great. Only the fried wanton with tomato salsa is good and passion fruit juice is good. Com Ga (chicken rice is dry and cold). The Cao Lao (brown rice noodle) is cold and dry too, too much salad with little noodle. Not a place to recommend.

Quan an Ty Ty Cau Lau is a charming family-run restaurant tucked away in a small alley in the ancient town. It's known for its delicious Cao Lau, a local specialty. While some find the slices of cha siu pork to be thinner compared to other places, many visitors consider their Cao Lau to be the best in the area. The friendly owners go out of their way to assist guests, even helping with non-restaurant related requests like finding baby strollers.
Around the corner from the main centre, lovely family owned business with such reasonable prices compared to the overpriced restaurants by the river! White lotus, cao lau and seafood rice were amazing - 10/10!

A fantastic place to enjoy a bite away from the chaos, while still being apart of the vibrancy of Hoi An nightlife. The staff are incredibly swift with their service and very polite. We came here many times during our stay, and each time did not disappoint. Even during their busy service, we had a woman hoist a table out of nowhere to accommodate us - and her young daughter helped to bring some chairs. We were very grateful and thankful for their hospitality!

The herbal drink here is fantastic. It tastes nicer than the famous one at MOT. It’s also cheaper at 15K than 16K. The place is a hole in the wall type of family eatery. It’s served a lot of dishes. We tried the bun thit nuong noodles, cao lau, and my quang. The my quang was okay, but didn’t see any quail egg and the rice cracker was also missing from the dish. But was very hungry at that time so everything was satisfying. The lady who works there is friendly and nice. They should make more effort to sweep their floors though. It’s littered with tissue paper carelessly thrown on the floor by customers sitting indoors.

Cơm Gà PHÚC - 621/5 Hai Bà Trưng offers a Vietnamese take on the classic chicken and rice dish. The meal features layers of flavors and textures, with yellow rice forming the base, topped with tender shredded chicken infused with ginger, turmeric, green onions, and salt. A dash of fish sauce, lime juice, and sugar adds a burst of flavor before it's garnished with an assortment of herbs like coriander and cilantro.
Amazing grilled chicken and for a good price! I was looking all over a good chicken place for lunch in the area without any luck, and then i saw this in a tiny alley. The dishes come with chicken soup on the side which was also really yummy! Super recommended!

Really nice chicken rice. I grow up eating chicken rice in Singapore and I can say their chicken rice is special. The yellow might be turmeric and the crunchy garlic added texture and flavour. Ordered special chicken tossed with salad over rice. A bit spicy n salty but goes well with the rice. Hubby had a big portion of chicken rice. The BIG is whole Maryland leg but same amount of rice. Regular portion has less chicken 🐔

I stumbled upon this com ga restaurant in Hoi An after the original place I wanted to visit was closed. It was the next closest option suggested by Google Maps, and though it was tucked away in an alley, the street was well-lit, so no problem finding it. I was greeted by a grandpa sitting outside, which gave me a warm, family-run vibe right away. I ordered the chicken rice (com ga), which came with a side of soup. The dish was delicious—the rice had a great texture, and the papaya salad was so tasty it reminded me of flavors I hadn’t had in a while. It was a simple but satisfying dining experience. Despite the lack of air conditioning, the place was well-ventilated with lots of fans, making it comfortable enough. The family running the restaurant was incredibly kind and accommodating. They even offered me the use of their home’s toilet, which was clean and added to the homey feel of the place. I liked the food and I decided to order takeout for my next day’s meal. Overall, a very chill and enjoyable experience—definitely worth trying!

My family and I were recommended this place by our taxi driver and it did not disappoint at all! It’s run by a sweet family who were all attentive. The chicken was extremely fresh and just the right amount of seasoning and spice. The rice was deliciously crispy and the soup paired just right with the entire meal. We left feeling full and content :) I recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a special meal in Hoi An/ Da Nang

ordered the com ga roti (roast chicken with some sort of tasty sauce on top) - was served a massive portion with lots of rice, soup also hot as well! for 70k, not sure if it was the tourist tax or if that’s just the regular price. tucked in a small alleyway, very homey feeling when you eat as the family chats and works.

We ordered the chicken, pork chop, and roti chicken plates. The standout dish at this place is definitely the chicken and rice, which was incredibly flavorful and delicious. However, the pork ribs was just okay. I appreciated how well everything on the plate complemented each other. To be honest, the blood cake didn't look appealing, but it actually paired nicely with the dish. Overall, this is a great spot for local cuisine, and the prices are very reasonable for such delicious food.

At the Ho An Central Market, you can find Hai Chiến - Cao Lầu & Phở & Hủ Tiếu (Stall E034), a long-standing food stall that Anthony Bourdain visited. The vendor offers a delicious bowl of Cao lau, featuring pork, pickled shallots, greens, and secret noodles with lime and chili paste.
I had a number of dishes here, which you can see in the photos. The beef pho and cau lau were my favorites. The Cau Lau was mind-blowing and worth a trip to Vietnam itself :) Highly recommend that one. I just let her pick the meats for the Cau Lau, but you can get a variety of meats with it. The other dish I loved so much was the beef pho. Super flavorful broth and very delicious. I am curious to try her chicken pho again sometime, to see how it compares. The lady in the stall just next to this one serves smoothies which are delicious. The mango with passionfruit smoothie is great, and the soursop (sp?) smoothie is also very delicious. It's nice to get a smoothie along with your meal here. The Com Ga (chicken with rice) seemed well-done but wasn't flavorful enough for me (I haven't had Com Ga I've been blown away by in general, so it could just be the dish itself). The chicken with stir fry noodles was recommended by her and it tasted pretty decent. She put on a bunch of extra vegetables, which were tasty and fresh and made me feel better about it. But overall I was at the point where I felt a little gross eating so much noodles and oil lol. I'm not sure this was the cook's fault. Just reached my limit on take out at this point I think. The crispy wontons tasted okay but I felt like the sauce wasn't as good as the sauce used at Anabas. It had more oil in it like the sauce on the fried wontons at White Rose Restaurant, which I wasn't as fond of, whereas Anabas seemed like it had more fresh ingredients besides oil. Service was very friendly.

No joke, we came here 4 times in our 3 days in Hoi An. We are big foodies so coming to the same spot says there’s no other place you need to go lol. We did try others and always compared it to Hai Chien, so it was basically Hai Chien and Banh mi phuong for our meals in Hoi An. There wasn’t a bad meal from her.. they were all amazing and only $1-2. Was always so happy and will miss her cooking. We got her Cao Lau twice, mi quang, pho ga, pho, white rose (bong hong trang), rice dumplings cake (banh bot loc), fried wonton (hoanh thanh chien), fried meat noodles (mi xa xiu), and Banh knot. Cao Lau was amazing and only 30vnd?! Hai Chien is an amazing chef and so sweet. She was the highlight of our Hoi An trip. Thank you Hai Chien for a memorable culinary memory of Hoi An!!!

Please AVOID! Allergy within 30 mins. Should have read the bad reviews carefully first before sitting down. No idea why some foreigners praised her so much. Perhaps they were new to Vietnamese and Asian food. Ordered shrimp hand rolls. The shrimps were not fresh and dyed in bright orange colour. Within 30 mins, my skin developed allergy. I had hives (red, raised itchy bumps) all over my body 🤯😭😠 swelling lips…😭😫😡 Ordered vegetarian ‘white rose’. As seen on photo, she brought me plain rice wrappers instead but charged me regular price of VND 40K. Ordered vegetarian bún noodles. As seen on photo, again, she brought me plain noodles and charged me VND 30K as the regular one with grilled pork. She didn’t bother to add any vegetable or tofu etc as meat replacement. The senior owner was friendly until seeing groups of potential customers. Then I was told to move to the corner. When questioned her why charged same prices for plain white rose and plain bún noodles, she said extra noodles were added. That was ridiculous! I didn’t appreciate her attitude and greediness. Her food had no taste. Used cheap ingredients. Perhaps the prawns covered in bright orange dye were off that gave me serious allergy (rash). To make things worse, I saw her preparing food without washing hands after handling cash. No wonder why people got food poisoning after eating here. Some of the sit in restaurants nearby cost the same prices with good ambience, AC and most importantly, hygiene standard! Eat here only if you want food poisoning or/and allergy.

I come back here whenever Im in town. Delicious and really affordable price in the old town (30k/ pork cao lau and 50k/ beef caolau). The first time we came here was in 2017 following Bourdain’s footsteps. We hadn’t had cao lau like him but pho bo and we literally cried into our bowls – it was such a heavenly experience. This time, we weren’t quite as moved. But I think that’s mainly because we’ve now been all over Vietnam and are probably a bit jaded. Regardless, if you are a Bourdain fan, this is a must visit on this pilgrimage and it’s highly unlikely that you’ll be disappointed. We opted for a plate of fried rolls as well, since the fresh spring rolls didn’t look as promising. All in all, we are so happy to be back to our Vietnam ground zero while paying respects to now late Tony. So glad that auntie Phan Thi is still alive and cooking! Stall 034.

Hai Chiến is an absolute gem in Hoi An! The flavors here are authentic, rich, and unforgettable—truly some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve had. Their Cao Lầu is a must-try, and it’s no surprise that even Anthony Bourdain ate here. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff make you feel right at home. Whether you’re coming for the history, the connection to one of the world’s most famous food travelers, or simply for an incredible meal, this place is a must-visit.

As a big Bourdain fan, this place is a must stop for me. Food was okay. Not life changing or anything but worth to experience. Prices not tourist prices which is good. Something surreal in eating in a local market though this one in particular is somewhat of a tourist attraction rather than one. Still, worth the visit when you are in Hoi An.

Passing by about 10pm and thought could try and support a small roadside vendor. There is only a sliver of meat in the noodle ordered. Alas finally when about pay, she shouted in english fifty. Hence it's costing 50k dong. (*most eateries even restaurants sells Cao lao at 35k)

Huong's Chicken Rice, located in Sica alleyway, is a must-visit for food enthusiasts in Vietnam. The eatery specializes in Com Ga, a traditional dish featuring rice cooked in chicken stock and turmeric, mixed with shredded chicken, crushed onion, and Vietnamese spices. This local favorite has gained popularity among tourists as well. Additionally, the French-influenced Banh mi sandwiches are also a highlight here.
The best Pho Soup I have in the Hoi An. All the ingredients are so good. We had 1 bowl including everything and 1 pork. Extremely delicious.

I ordered Cơm Gà. The lady said price is 50,000 VND. I agreed because I thought I would get a good amount of food for that price. But unfortunately, there was very little thinly shredded chicken and only one piece of skin, some vegetables and little amount of rice. I wish they would increase the amount of chicken in the dish if they are charging 50,000 VND. I left unsatisfied. The good part of the dish is that the chilli sauce they give with the rice makes the taste much better. I would just suggest they either decrease the price if they serve this quantity of chicken or they should increase the amount of chicken if they are going to charge 50,000 VND.

This was not Chicken rice I wanted. I didn’t check any reviews before I came here. It’s my fault. They served uncooked rice … not just hard ..and it was oily. The price was 50.000vnd. After here I went to another place directly to check Com Ga Hoian again. It was 40.000 with a small cup of soup. Of course rice was cooked well at the another shop.

Pricing seems to be a little inconsistent here (we paid 50k while some others seem to pay less), but I didn't feel like I was skimped for 50k. The portion was big and there was lots of chicken. It was also served with a small side of chicken stock with pieces of liver which was good. Girlfriend got the Cao Lao which was very good and was 30k. I'd go back here again and think people should chill a little. You can find cheaper Com Ga, but the portions are much smaller. Depends on what you want I suppose.
John A — Google review
Our first mistake was not confirming the price before we ordered. Assumed 25-35k (if a good portion size) but was asked for 40k when we paid. The dish itself had a pitiful amount of chicken on it, so basically a plate of rice with some onion on the side. Only getting 2 stars because we met a cool Spanish guy there.

As soon as you enter the market as a tourist, you get a menu pressed into your hands by one of the food stalls that are desperate for you to eat with them. Cao Lau is a unique Hoi An specialty with uncertain origins, blending Chinese and Japanese influences while maintaining its local essence. The dish features thick, chewy noodles made with ash from wood on the Cham Islands and water from the ancient Ba Le well. This gives the noodles their distinct color and flavor, making them exclusive to Hoi An. Mrs. Thanh's eatery at 26 Thai Phien is often recommended by locals as the best place to savor this dish.
(Translated by Google) The restaurant has food that is quite suitable for my taste, not too sweet and suitable for both adults and children (Original) quán có đồ ăn khá hợp khẩu vị mình không quá ngọt vừa miệng thích hipwj cho cả người lớn và trẻ nhỉ

We went for the cao lau and chicken fried rice, and found both were super tasty. The rice was probably the highlight for us both: properly flavoursome with a jollof-esque depth of flavour but with slightly less smoke mixed with garlic and, naturally, chicken. Would definitely come back.
