A local and authentic place serving unique Hoi An dishes. The owner is absolutely lovely and warmly welcomes tourists. The food was incredible — we left completely full! They serve generous portions based on the number of diners, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Highly recommended!!!

A bit hot as we came for lunch. This place is visited by Master Chefs and many celebrities including Luke Nguyen and Gerald Butler. The most unique is the dipping sauce and home made herbal drink. For food, they only offer Be Bahn Xeo set, fried pancake, spring roll, grilled pork in skewers, Cao Lau. Cao Lau is average. Pickled vegetables is quite nice with pineapple and strong ginger taste.

Wish I could give it >5 stars for the service. Food is great, made fresh as you are walking in. It is a set menu and a ton of food, slightly pricier but a massive portion. Beer was cheap and cold. The owner herself came and made sure I enjoyed everything properly - she even sat down with me to chat. Amazing!!

Just one menu - set menu, only need to choose drink. Outdoor table with fan on & shades - cool enough. Kind - a staff showed me how to eat & all staff are smily faces. Highly ranked for food on google. But not to me. Nem lui & skewed pork are yummy but Banh Xeo was below than my expectation. Source was a bit salty for me. Coconut had been remained cool till finishing eating- great! Served me desert (yogurt) after meal, yummy. But just once is enough for me.

Everything was awesome! Our set menu came up nearly immediately, The people who worked here showed us how to self prepare our food and showed us great hospitality and kindness! This was the best place I ate in Hoi Ann. The Mousse is a must have! I don’t have photos beforehand as we were piglets but pancakes are good!! 🤣

Banh xèo was absolutely 10/10! The waiter went above and beyond by helping us and explaining how to wrap and eat it the right way, we also order the Bo ne it’s was yummy as well .Great experience!

Delicious chicken and rice. We had both the shredded and fried chicken plates which were filling, extremely tasty and very reasonably priced. Also had the ginger tea. Loaded with ginger, dates and goji berries, the perfect drink to cap your meal. Highly recommend!

Chanced upon this place. We were looking to try some Hoi An chicken rice and this place ticked our boxes. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic about showing us how to eat their chicken rice. It felt like a salad where you seasoned it with sauce and chilli to your liking, then mix everything up. We are not entirely sure what’s the difference between regular chicken rice and special chicken rice. The chicken vermicelli soup was also delicious, add the fresh veggies to your liking and mix everything up. Fruit juice was available from the coffee store next door. Prices were super affordable and people very warm and welcoming. Highly recommended for the local experience. A short 5-10min walk from the Old Town - but without the hordes of tourists invading your personal space.

Large space with plenty of seating. Friendly & helpful staff. The menu specialises in varieties of chicken rice both steamed & roasted, was the best chicken rice I have had in Vietnam! So tasty!! Plenty of choices of side dishes, we enjoyed kimchi together with the complimentary homemade sambal.

Miss Ly was recommended to us by a local, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was high quality, fresh and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly attentive. Went to this place after watching YT influencers whi said he loved the food gere and would fly to this country just to eat here. The food was good, I would say .... mild tastes. Small portion for each dish. Sitting at outside table was not too hot when we were there but I wish I was sitting inside with air-con, but very limited seats/tables inside.

Miss Ly’s was a treasure. We had lunch there and the food and service was so great we went again for dinner. The servers were so sweet and friendly and the owner chatted with us on both occasions. The grilled fish in banana was exceptional and the fried wonton appetizer was delicious. We even got a lesson on how to make carrot flowers. Highly recommend.

“This Place Deserves More TikTok Recognition!” This spot needs way more shoutouts than some of the places currently trending. One word: YUM. Tucked in Old Town, this cute restaurant is a must-visit! It’s cosy, clean, and the team is so friendly once you step inside—no one hounding you at the door, which makes it even more inviting. We started with the fresh shrimp spring rolls and honestly, I could eat these all day. Perfect for a humid afternoon, especially paired with a cocktail (highly recommend the Miss Ly). For mains we ordered the Cao Lau—our first time trying it—and now it’s officially on the list of must-have Vietnamese dishes. The noodles and fresh elements together were just incredible. We also had the shrimp stir-fried noodles—a thinner, drier style than the Cao Lau but equally delicious. Our foodie toddler basically claimed that dish for herself! Adding a touch of the chili condiment took it up a notch for me. Delicious food, cosy vibes, great service… this place truly deserves more love. Definitely one to put on your Hoi A food map! PS: This is a small, quaint spot and we coincidentally arrived just before 12 pm—thankfully we had already ordered by the time it got really busy!

Stumbled upon Mr. Hai Noodles and it turned out to be a gem. Their Cao lầu is smoky, chewy, and deeply local, while the Mì Quảng bursts with herbs, shrimp, and crunch. A true Hoi An breakfast classic — simple, soulful, and the perfect way to start the day.

Mi Quang was so good, i highly recommend it. This was my first meal in Hoi An and no regrets. This shop is patronised by locals, and that’s how you know the food’s good. The business owners were very sweet too.

To have energy for our eventful day, a good breakfast is important! This is Mì Quảng, a noodle dish in central Vietnam. It's like slightly soupy mee pok 😆 But the texture is bouncier! Overall, a good breakfast. You know they are definitely delicious when it's only that 1 or 2 things on their menu. Wish the "soup" was little more though. Can check out this place. Not bad.

My hotel recommended me this local place , I had the My Quang for the first time and it was really good. Dishes are 20 000. They only have 2 different dishes. I also had a ginger ice tea and it was great. You should try it

This restaurant offers just two options: cao lau and my quang. Don’t get there late, sometimes they run out of ingredients (good sign, it means everything is freshly prepared) Amazing Cao Lau!!! It gets 4 stars because the my quang was ok, nothing special. Service is…high speed

This little local place was the first meal my wife and I had in Vietnam. We arrived hungry and stumbled into it because it was near our accommodation. What a local gem! We tried Cao Lau and Mi Quang as we were in Hoi An. It was incredible! It is no frills dining next to the street but the food is amazing. We went back again two days later for more Cao Lau and it was even better the second time. The staff doesn’t speak a ton of English but you can make it work, they are very nice. If you’re in Hoi An try this place for some fantastic noodles at a great price. Apologies for not taking photos of the dishes, I was ready to eat! Enjoy!

Had the shrimp mi quang and the pork mi quang and it was fabulous. The noodles themselves were fantastic but the bowl as a whole was worth way more than than what they charge. It's was packed so we had to wait but they only sweve 2 noodle dishes so the turnover was quick.

Take the road less traveled! And you'll find this hidden gem. Down a dark alley way. You'll find these amazing find. We got the COMBO deal which was 200,000VD. What a steal! Food tasted amazing! A family run business. With even little old Nanna helping cook our skewers. Even our picky 2yo ate the meat skewers, covering her face in all it's juices. Would highly recommend! Super yummy!

Awesome place, awesome food! A little off the main tourist 'track', but totally worth finding this place. It's a small menu, but the pork noodles dish is superb. The 'meat matriarch' grills the meat on an open grill on the street, so you can see, smell and savour the whole cooking process, while the owner is very enthusiastic when you order meat and beer; he approves! Off from the touristy area and locals were dining here too. Food was grilled on the spot which made it hot and fresh. Skewers were well marinated and had a smoky flavour thanks to the charcoal banh xeo had shrimp and beansprouts. Was okay for me. Owner was friendly and had a decent command of English. Overall will recommend this place as the old town area of Hoi An can get crowded with tourists.

Beautiful family-run restaurant, nestled in the quiet streets of Hoi An. They are warm and welcoming as you arrive and offer gorgeous smiles. They are friendly and very accomodating. Really quality, flavourful Vietnamese home style cooking. We had the platter and we’re so glad we did. From the skewers, to the crispy pancakes, to the fresh pickled vegetables, everything was delightful. We cannot stop thinking about the sauces and how delicious they were. This is one of our favorite places we have visited on our entire trip in Vietnam. We recommend this to anyone looking for beautiful classic food presented in a tremendous way!

Wow, so good. The best banh xeo I've ever had and the nem lui was amazing. My family stopped here for lunch and our dishes were cooked to order. Flavour was perfect, veg/herbs were so fresh, and the kimchi was spicy and flavorful. The dipping sauces were spot on. Such a great lunch that I will never forget. Very friendly service with a smile and a very fair price. This is exactly what I love about Vietnam. I wish all of our meals were this great. Ngon qua!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My partner and I stumbled upon this place during heavy rain and we thought we'd give it a try. The food was awesome! The chicken and pork skewers are cooked on the spot, they were delicious! Paired with pickled cabbage and carrot, herbs, rice paper and dipping sauce. Cute place and family run!

Had an incredible, authentic bowl of Mi Quang Ba Minh this morning. It can be hard to find a restaurant locals eat at near the old quarter and this is a must try! The owner was also so welcoming which made the experience even better. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced!

Very tasty simple local noodles. We came for breakfast around 8:30am and were seated right away. Salad greens and herbs were fresh and noodles were the perfect portion. They even have self serve tea and water. Break the big cracker into small pieces and mix it in with the noodles before you eat it. It was 95vnd for 3 people

Best meal I’ve had in Vietnam so far. The pork is so tender and flavourful and the shrimp is sweet with such thin skin you can eat it. The owners are also incredibly friendly! You can have coffee here too which makes it the perfect one-stop shop for breakfast.

Goodmorning Vietnam is a very nice place with two floors and air conditioning. The food was great and different from typical Vietnamese dishes. The staff were kind enough to save my backpack after I forgot it, which I really appreciated. Definitely recommend!

Like being in Italy.... Pizza, pasta, salads like you order in Italy, and I'm not joking. The Italian owner did an amazing job, having this restaurant for more than 20 years already, is using Italian imported goods which you clearly taste. Our family needed something different from the Vietnamese food and this was a great find. The reason we ended up here is because they also serve Gluten-free pasta, and my wife said it was perfect! Highly recommend the place!

Goodmorninng has many good reviews and they truly don’t disappoint. Pizza was so good what I even ate all of the pizza crust. There is something about dough that so addictive. The pesto pasta was equally great. Definitely a place to visit!!

The owner is Italian, therefore the food is authentic and really tasty. The breadsticks (grissini) are simply addictive, and the focaccia we were welcomed with was excellent. The carbonara is made with cream as well, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The spaghetti with clams were good, though they could be improved. Overall, a truly great Italian restaurant in town.

This is in my opinion the best Italian restaurant in Hoi An. It's Italian owned & all the food is top notch. Staff friendly & efficient with fabulous selection of drinks. Also sell a great selection of gelato. Can't fault it here. Wish all Italian restaurants back home were as nice as this.

We had the set menu for 2 people and although my partner didn't like the pancake (I loved it), she said they were the best spring rolls so far. All the dishes were full of flavour and the price was very good for the variety and portion sizes. The staff were very friendly and they gave a little phrase card to help with Vietnamese. The tables were quirky and they also had very nice teas.

This small vegetarian restaurant is a little hard to find, but it’s really worth it. When you go inside, it feels like a special place from the past. There are many small things from people who visited before, like messages and personal items. It feels warm and full of memories. The owner is very kind and friendly. A nice lady also works there and helps with everything. They make you feel welcome and relaxed. The food is very tasty. I really liked the stuffed tofu in banana leaf, the morning glory, the lemongrass tofu, and the soups. They also have different kinds of eggs like boiled eggs and omelets, which I missed a lot while traveling. If you don’t want sugar in your food or drinks, just tell the owner. He remembers it now every time, which is really nice. This place is peaceful, full of love, and perfect if you enjoy good vegetarian food.

I had the set menu 1 and a sua da coffee for 184k dong. I was very hungry when I arrived and even then I had to force down the last few bites - the portions are generous for sure! The service is fast and friendly. I really liked the spring rolls and wonton with vegetable medley. I enjoyed the dumplings and noodle soup less, not because they weren’t well made, they just had flavors that are less suited to my palate. That being said, I’d recommend the set 1 menu if you want a filling, fresh meal with some Vietnamese flavors!

Quiet vegetarian restaurant serving an interesting variety of dishes. We had set menu 2. The friend pancake was a bit oily to our tastes, but everything else was amazing. Best spring rolls I’ve had as well. They also have high chairs for you little ones.

Amazing vegetarian food! As a meat lover this was one of the few times I felt satisfied after a meal. My vegetarian Indian family loved the food, which speaks to how bold the flavours are. A must visit if you want to try the vegetarian versions of the local dishes. I recommend the crispy pancake, wontons, juices, and stuff tofu grilled in banana leaf. Juices and smoothies were fresh too!

An incredible gem. One of the best brunch/cafe places I’ve been in my whole life. I’ve ordered a few dishes here and they’ve all been amazing. If this place was in the USA, everything would cost 4x as much and I could never afford to eat here. Note: the ice coconut coffee is like a Frappuccino, with a ton of blended ice, so avoid if you have sensitive teeth or don’t want that.

Beautiful atmosphere and lovely service. The granola bowl was good enough and the fruit was fresh and yummy. Granola was a bit sub-standard, could have had some coconut flakes, almonds etc to bulk it up as it was mostly oats and cashews. If I came again I would try a smoothie bowl as these also looked delicious in the pictures I saw. Salted coffee was delicious. Most of the coffee was at the top so remember to mix it up so it’s not too milky when you get to the bottom.

Found via TikTok - sparked interest because of an egg allergy. Only ‘western’ food available. But really good quality, healthy and filling. I’m plenty of seating, and an area upstairs for co-working. Definitely recommend for a brunch spot in Hoi An !!

Amazing place!!! We came to eat here three days in a row. Everything is clean and aesthetically pleasing. They are super accommodating with every request, and the waitress, Ta, was absolutely lovely 🥹 she responded to every request and was genuinely kind and caring. Groovy place to hang out, and I mean that literally! Seems you can get lovely coffee, great food and do hanging yoga. Had very delicious food, above your average flavours but with many favourites on the menu. I had a Plant Based burger that was as good as the best alternatives, but homemade on premises. Food was delicious. The place was not that spacious but it was clean. Price was reasonable too. 30k for Mi Quang. 35k for Cao Lau. I only ordered the Mi Quang. But I saw from the table next to me, the Cao Lau looked better than the one I ordered at Old Town (cheaper too). Portion was generous. The lady who sells the food was friendly and able to speak English. Defenitely earned my recommendation.

There’s seating if you want to dine in, and the place feels very local, which I love. I came specifically to try Mì Quảng, a dish I heard is from the Quang Nam region. When I saw turmeric listed in the ingredients, I expected something heavy and oily, maybe like Indonesian Soto. But nope! Mì Quảng turned out to be a dry-style noodle dish with just a touch of broth. Light, savory, slightly sweet, and not greasy at all. It came topped with shrimp, pork, quail eggs, roasted peanuts, and crispy rice crackers. The flavor was good on its own, but adding a bit of their chili oil really brought it to life. Prices were clear and posted, Mì Quảng for VND 30k and Cao Lầu for VND 35k. Always appreciate a stall that’s transparent, especially in a touristy area like Hoi An. Also, the lady running the place speaks English, which was super helpful. If you're curious about Central Vietnamese food, this place is an easy and affordable way to try something regional and delicious without the tourist trap vibes. Worth the stop.

There are multiple stalls nearby serving the same dishes, so please keep an eye out. We had both Cao Lau and Mi quang, both were really good. It's a good breakfast food since it's tasty but not heavy. The place seems really local. Really worth the price. 65 k for both.

If you're looking for the real deal Mì Quảng then this is it right here! The lady also serves up Cao Lau in the mornings (or until sold out). Don't skip on their chili oil either. It's some of the best you'll try in Hoi An. Prices were clear and VERY reasonable and the operator also speaks good English if you need that. #PROTIP: Head across the road after your meal to try one of the Sodas at Madam Khanh.

Our first-choice spot was closed and sold out, so we wandered into this nearby place on a whim. What a pleasant surprise—the cozy, local atmosphere felt instantly welcoming. The banh mi really stood out. The roll came hot and wonderfully crisp, with a light, fluffy interior and well-balanced fillings. My wife loved the vegan option; she said it’s one of her favorites yet. If I had to change one thing - it would be to add more of the amazing fillings! Great find—we’ll be back soon!

I have tried the popular Banh Mi Phuong and Madam Khanh Banh Mi and they are all very good but I have to say that Phi Banh Mi is my favorite. The main reason is that it's packed with more herbs and veggies than the 2 others which make it well balanced and more aromatic. I have tried the traditional (n°1) and the Phi Special (n°11) (spicy version) as per the owner recommendation. Both didn't disappoint ! Special mention to the Phi Special, perfect balance between the fat from the cream cheese & avocado that counter balance the chili and the refreshing greens of the herbs.

This Banh Mi was delicious! I opted for the pork and cheese option which was delicious. It had more greenery and flavour than many I’ve tried! I don’t know why the queues weren’t out the door because it was fantastic! An underrated gem in my opinion, I’m just glad my home stay pointed it out. Stopped by Phi Banh Mi on a motorbike, it’s a small street-side stall, easy to access, though the road’s a bit tight if you’re coming by car (still fits two, just a heads-up). I ordered the "Traditional Vietnamese" Banh Mi for takeaway, and honestly? It was my first Banh Mi in Hoi An, and still one of the best I had during the trip. Packed with pork, pork rolls, pate, fresh herbs, cucumber, and shredded papaya-carrot. The balance of flavor was spot on. Nothing overpowering, just solid, tasty layers working together. The bread is grilled on charcoal, giving it a warm, crisp bite. I did hesitate a bit with the pate, knowing it’s made from liver, but it turned out so good. No strong liver taste at all once it’s mixed with everything else. It just blends in deliciously. Best part? It’s only VND 25k! Plenty of filling, price clearly listed, and the service was fast. No guessing, no tourist markup. Didn’t eat in, but you can dine in if you want to. Simple stall, great food, worth a detour.

The banh mi was delicious! It came still hot and crispy from the charcoal grill next to the counter. It had the perfect level of spice and was as juicy as it gets! We came back the next day for a second round!

I had an amazing experience at this Greek restaurant in Hoi An, Vietnam! I was extremely impressed with the food — we ordered five different dishes and every single one was delicious and full of authentic Greek flavor. The atmosphere was pleasant (4/5), the place was very clean, and the service was also good (4/5) — though I felt the staff could improve by maintaining better eye contact and attentiveness to customers. One suggestion: adding live music in the evenings and turning the place into more of a Greek taverna vibe would really elevate the experience and be great for business. Our meal at MIX was delicious. They have a variety of options with real Greek flavors. When you walk through the entrance into the back, you are transported to another country. The decor with outside seating and the music was wonderful and very romantic. But it can definitely accommodate large groups and they have a separate indoor seating area with A/C. We really enjoyed our meal and recommend MIX when you’re looking for something a little different in Hoi An.

Best authentic Greek food in Hoi An! Tried the pork souvlaki, which was tasty and big, and the Greek salad, which was also a decent size. Definitely coming back to sample more of the delectable menu 😍

Great little Greek spot in hoi an old town area. And they got a big air conditioned room inside, we came for lunch and to beat the heat, the restaurant was empty. The decor and vibe is nice and quite a big space outdoors. Got a souvlaki and a moussaka. My souvlaki was good, I do prefer tzatziki over their yellow sauce though, and some more fillings but overall a decent souv and moussaka was yummy. They also gave complementary dessert a banana pudding. Definitely recommend the food here if you’re craving Greek food 🇬🇷 in 🇻🇳

We found this place on a walk and glad we did. It’s beautifully put together, quite away from sellers on the street and the food was delicious. They also gave us a little remembrance token, which was a nice touch. Highly recommend !!

We visited here as it was recommended as a good cheap eat in Hoi An in the Lonely Planet guidebook. It was the most expensive meal we had in Vietnam! The pricing had obviously changed since they featured. We opted for the set menu which had very large portions for the entree and main (possibly too large). The duck spring rolls were amazingly crispy, I haven't had that sort of coating before but they didn't taste like duck. The main was two very large bits of pork belly, noodles and side veg. I only managed to get about halfway through due to the large entree. The desserts were a white chocolate mousse which was pretty nice with a passionfruit syrup on top, though more of a cheesecake consistency than mousse. Overall I'd say it wasn't anything special and you can get nicer food for cheaper.

For all the culinary prowess they seem to display in elaborate meat dishes, the meager vegan options were sparse, not incredibly inventive, and did not have tremendous value. Prep and cook on the vegetables was adequate, but i know the skilled chefs here can do better than slightly bland vegetables served with rice, can't they? How about a fritter? A salad roll? Something? Plant based foods are set to become the food trend of the century, so get going, friends. Service was great, atmosphere was great, location was great.

Best food we had in Hoi An so far. The taste was absolutely amazing. Really cool to also visit the open kitchen and see all the fresh products. Little higher prices are more than ok for this quality!

We walked into this place, after having read all the good advice on the internet about it, and we were not deceived. The duck nems were awesome, so crispy, not greasy as you're used to see in western countries. It was so tasty 4 were just enough. The wok beef was really good too the meat was just about cooked the right way, so tender and tasty. The eggplants were tender and the addition of the white shimeji mushrooms and fried onions made it an awesome vegetarian dish. This is really a place to go, a bit far from the tourist center of Hoi an, but a place not to miss out on.

Good food, good service , good chat, owner speaks English, Japanese, German and French. Fresh in every sense of the word .... give it a try before you leave! You will be pleased you did! Really don’t miss this place! Set menus was amazing!

Quite overprice for the food they provided. I had the Australian beef with lemon grass and onion with side salad and I found it disappointing. The seasoning of the beef was nice but it was a bit tough from being overcooked. The side salad was overseasoned with sauce which made it very salty and I ended up abandoning it. I had ice ginger tea with honey which was mildly flavor, it would have been better if the ginger flavor was stronger. Overall, I would not choose this place again.

Great restaurant for foreigners, small but cozy and english speaking. If you want to feel local taste be sure to book in advance because you might found yoursele have no table and missing water festival

As part of our coffee tour, our next cafe was CocoBox and I really enjoyed my Egg Coffee. I know it's not mainly a Central Vietnam preparation but the way the cafe prepared it was so good it was a highlight of my entire stay in the area. The place is also quite chill and relaxing, quite needed in the scorching Hoi An weather

Best service in town! I was hot with a little sweat and when I arrived, I was seated and give cool moist towel that smelt so good! The drinks were all awesome! Only down side is the street sellers coming in to ask you to purchase things from them. It’s the same for most shops in Hoi an.

This café was our introduction to salt coffee in Vietnam… incredible! And we didn’t find one better for the whole of the trip. They also sell their coffee in bags, which made perfect gifts. A brilliant stop for coffee lovers to watch the world go by.

We came to Hoi An for three days, and since we found this place, we kept coming back! The coffee and smoothies were excellent, and the service and kindness from the staff were fantastic. The view is lively and vibrant if you enjoy people watching, this is the perfect spot!

The best authentic Vietnamese coffee. Egg coffee is highly recommended. A large selection of fresh fruit juices. Enjoy your coffee with a vitamin drink. Perfect for relaxing! I'd love to come back.

Service was excellent. We were seated and served very quickly. We had cocoa egg hot and coconut ice cream with a coconut/coconut meat smoothie. So delish!

Really great spot with comfortable seating. Coffee and croissant were both really good, although I wasn’t blown away. Atmosphere feels comfortable but a bit plain. I was here to work and I appreciated the long bench with pillows to support my back.

The avocado toast was incredible - the most avocado I’ve had in Asia!!! Muffin was delicious, as was the BELT and the cappuccino and bread. Highly recommend!!!

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful and lovely this bakery is — The pastries and food are outstanding. The coffee is delicious. There is indoor (with air conditioning) and outdoor seating. I enjoy sitting outdoors in the comfortable chairs and watching the busy road outside as people pass by and enjoying my morning coffee. You are always welcomed warmly, very well taken care of at your table or you can order from the counter. I have visited many times and it is one of my favorite places in the city. Great job to a team here for creating a place where people want to come and feel welcomed.

Cool place, we ordered coffee, cau lau, and soup with hoanh. All dishes were really good, very tasty. Coffee was so sweet it was undrinkable, only reason I'm voting 4 stars. Recommended for vegans and not vegans alike 👍

I ate at V Vegan Restaurant in Hoi An and ordered the mixed vegetable dumplings and a bowl of vegan spicy noodle soup. Both dishes were excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was also great, and the restaurant has a clean, cozy vibe. The only downside is that the prices are a bit high, especially since they charge 40,000 VND for a small bottle of water. Still, the food was delicious and worth trying if you’re looking for good vegan options in Hoi An.

I tried the Vegan Family Set 2. The tofu in the clay pot was the standout, rich, flavorful, and surprisingly cheesy. It’s rare to find tofu done this well, with such depth and umami. While the soup was a bit watery and the green beans lacked flavor, the tofu carried the meal and brought everything together. The portion was generous, affordable, and filling, even for a big eater like me. Finally found a spot that knows how to make tofu shine. Happy to see Fully Vegan restaurant, thank you 🙏🏾🌞🍀♥️💫

Nice vegan vietnamese food, tastes good. If you are looking for good, fully vegan vietnamese food this is a good place to go. They offer a great menu of different vietnamese vegan dishes, such as grilled eggplant, ratatouille, banh xeo, different dumplings (steamed and fried), salads and more. We had the vegan dumplings, fried eggplant, rice with beans, a ratatouille with noodle and everything was really delicious. I also ordered a fresh juice, apple and pineapple mixed, like the offer in the menu for around 2€. I expected to get a fresh pressed juice and so I was very disappointed when I only got a small glass, only half full with the smallest portion of juice I ever got served somewhere. They told me, that's because they didn't mix the fresh juice with water. Yeah okay, but when I order a fresh pressed juice (like they seem to offer) I do NOT expect, to get the juice mixed 80% water, 20% fruit juice. Sorry, but I expected a fresh, delicious juice and not just a sip. We complained about this sad looking half empty glass but they just said "we didn't mix with water". So, if you want to order juice here: DO NOT! The food was good, delicious and tasty. I also tried the vegan banana flambe with coconut sugo, which was okay but nothing more than a hot banana with coconut milk. Maybe a bit to sweet, too and nothing special. To conclude: for tasty vietnamese vegan food this is a nice place. I can recommend this! Sadly not for juice and the banana flambe, sorry.

Absolute 5 on 5 for the food! Loved their falafel burger.. the bun was melting in the mouth and the falafel patty was moist and crispy! The charcoal sandwich was a delight too. Very healthy and super crispy bread. They have a large variety for vegetarians and vegans. Must try.

Such a fantastic place to get breakfast. The spread is huge but they also have a side menu where they will bring you ala carte items. They have both Asian and western cuisine. The bread selection is vast. Overall really love our breakfast experience here.

Another gem in Hoi An for delicious vegetarian food! Yesterday I had their avocado & scrambled egg bagel, and today I tried the pasta, both were so good. The location itself is beautiful too, such a lovely spot to enjoy a meal.

We are vegan and this was a great place for breakfast, I really recommend. I had the vegan mushroom toast and a coconut coffee. So delicious and fresh! The restaurant is also beautifully decorated with a peaceful atmosphere and you can buy art prints and things there too. 10/10!

After two days of fried food, we finally discovered this amazing café — fresh, healthy dishes, great coffee, and delicious cakes. Great value for the price as well! We loved it so much that we came back every day for the rest of our stay in Hôi An, and even ordered food for take-out ❤️

I went to Good Eats and loved everything I tried — especially the chocolate cookies (warning: dangerously delicious). The vibe is super chill, the staff is lovely, and the prices are great for the quality. It’s got that cozy, eco-friendly atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. We came here on a sunny day. The place has a lot of greenery and feels open and airy, but the seating area was a bit hot. Since we had kids with us, we decided to move to the bakery next door for a more comfortable spot and ordered food from this restaurant to bring over. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious, and the kids really enjoyed it. We’ll definitely come back!

This place is wonderful. Their food is excellent and the space is beautiful. I got the vegan nourish with GF bread, it was DELICIOUS. Very abundant which is what I was hoping for. Its the only place ive seen with gf toast, and the buckwheat bread exceeded any expectations I had of it, seriously so good. The tofu sauteed with mushrooms and kale was great, and the sauces to accompany as well. Only thing id add is a bit more cherry tomatoes for some more freshness/raw and a bit more of the sauces. My friend got the bagel with guacamole and feta, nice proportions and very tasty guac. I later got the choco smoothie, so decadent, rich in creaminess and flavor and not too sweet which I loved. This place is pricier than the rest, but I can see why since the quality is promising and the dishes leave you feeling satisfied not just because of the portions but the taste.

All the tacos I had had great flavor, but they weren’t well taken care of. For example, the fish taco had way too much batter, it was like double the size of the fish. The mayo tasted good, though. The asada had great flavor too, but it was way too salty, like someone dropped half a bottle of salt on it. The barbacoa also had good flavor but was a bit too dry. The chicken taco was definitely on the overly dry, overcooked side, which was kind of sad. But we love their mezcal bar upstairs. We’ve been there a few times and will definitely come back. The salsa selection on the table is awesome. I really hope they pay more attention to the food because all the tacos have great flavor, they just need more care. Also, I have to mention: the staff is super nice, and it’s a cool spot. Even if you don’t eat downstairs, you have to go up and treat yourself to a cocktail, the upstairs bar is beautiful.

It’s a fantastic & authentic Mexican Restaurant in beautiful Hoi An! We started off the evening with margaritas. Then we had tortillas chips, guacamole, Baja Fish & Al Pastor tacos. We finished off our meal with churros & chocolate dipping sauce. Everything from beginning to end was DELICIOUS! The Baja fish tacos were the star followed by the margaritas 😁. I highly recommend this restaurant for its food, decor, service and fair prices.

Sat outside last evening. Greeted by very welcoming staff. Sat and had some Margaritas which were VERY GOOD and very authentic. Few flavours to choose from Tacos and entrees were good. Very happy with out waitress she was very lovely and very helpful

Do not understand the good reviews. We had taquitos which were the only hot item. These were tasty. We had 4 different tacos but left concerned we may get food poisoning as they were only partially heated. The food seems to be pre prepared and microwaved or else heated by some fast food method. The tacos were tepid and as a result not good to eat. My advice is avoid, there is so much good food around Hoi An. Don’t waste your money or time.

Great food and price; tried everything except for fish dishes (because I don't like fish) and never had a bad experience. Great service; interested in me learning Vietnamese and helping me improve my pronounciation. First time I came here was two years ago on holiday and it hasn't changed since. Definitely will stop by everytime I am in Hoi An. Highly recommended if you are looking for some good mexican food and drinks.

I visited this Mexican//Spanish Restaurant near the downtown area of Hoi An. Its a cute place and service was good and fast I think. Friendly staff and food was good (not 100% like Spain or Mexico) but good enough to enjoy a nice meal. I really enjoyed the drinks, I tried many and glad I was safely walking back to my hotel, but they got me a car and to take me back to my hotel, it was nice.....but to get a perfect score, it would have been super nice to have Spanish or Mexican music with singers.... hehe.... in my dreams

I have lived in Mexico for three years have been looking for good mexican food ever since. I would have never thought that the first authentic tacos I eat would be in Vietnam, but this restaurant has exceeded all my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff super friendly, I loved the atmosphere with the Mexican music too. Highly recommend and a must do in Hoi An!

This review is of both Chickpea Eatery and their vegan cooking class. Firstly, this is a truly family owned group of restaurants. Tu Mai, the founder has made it a point to create a family and community at Chickpea. All of the food is of exceptional quality, 100% vegan and made and served with love. After my first meal at the Da Nang location I traveled to Hoi An for the weekend to take their Vegan Cooking Course. This is far more than a cooking course! It was a 7 hour cultural experience including a tour of Hoi An, a visit to the market, sampling of local vegan items and then a cooking class that was taught with exceptional grace, skill and humor.

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Chickpea! We took part in their cooking class and also came back for lunch, and everything was amazing from start to finish. The team is extraordinary, and our guide played a key role throughout the whole process. Over the course of five hours, we learned so much about Vietnamese culture, local customs, and especially about vegan cuisine and the ingredients used here. The food we made (and ate!) was some of the most delicious we’ve had in Vietnam- fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Thank you, Chickpea team, for such a special experience. Highly recommended! ♥️

In the past 2 years, I have eaten at Chickpea several times (both in DaNang and in HoiAn). About 18 months ago, I took the cooking class and it was great. I just took it again but with my sister who has come to visit me on her first trip to Vietnam. She is not vegetarian but has been embracing this way of eating while visiting me. Because it’s off season, we were the only two in class so it was like a private cooking class. The trip to market was wonderful as we got to try new fruits and meet several vegan vendors. Back at the restaurant, the class was so fun. The amount of food you cook is plentiful and simply delicious. Even if you are not vegan or vegetarian, this class is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, eat delicious food and learn about the Vietnamese culture.

I ordered the Cao Lau and a matcha tea. Both were delicious. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and is tucked away a little from the main street in the Old Town, which makes it a nice quiet spot. While I was there, they were hosting a vegan cooking class that looked really fun. The prices are reasonable for the area, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Great place for vegan food.

We attended the chickpea vegan cooking class and it was AMAZING! 10/10! Our favourite cooking class by far, with the wonderful smiley host, Ha 🥰 We walked round the market learning lots and trying different snacks and drinks before heading back to make 3 delicious, fresh meals. We learned so much and had the best time with lots of laughter too! Such helpful and smiley staff, helping it all run smoothly too. Thank you so much, 1000% recommend.

AMAZING VEGAN COOKING CLASS!! Vegan or not, if you want to learn more about Vietnamese culture and cooking it’s perfect!🤩 Started with May taking us around the market to all of her favourite stalls, she made a point of telling us to not feel obligated to buy anything which we appreciated! Tasted differnt fruits and crackers on the walk and she bought each girl a flower as it was Vietnamese women’s day 🥰. Cooking class was so so interesting and hands on! You get added to a. WhatsApp group for her to send the receipts and pictures over so no need to worry too much about remembering every detail!

Even if you're not vegan this place is so worth a go! If I could give this place more stars I would. I have allergies and I wrote them down in Vietnamese, they were more than willing to accommodate. The food was nothing short of amazing! We ordered way too much thinking the portions would be standard and left absolutely stuffed! 1000000/10 definitely worth a try!

Great side of the road find, really lovely owner who showed us how to assemble the rice papers and skewers. Really tasty and only 100k for 10 skewer. Got another 5 more for 50k and they kept giving us more sauces and rice papers/herbs when they saw us running out. Highly recommend.

You MUST eat here Soooo delicious and authentic. Little street vendor on side of the road. Felt safe and hygienic for street food. Would 150% come again. The man showed us how to assemble them and it was such an enjoyable, lovely experience. I asked for a beer and the lady in the coffee cart next door brought me a beer. 10/10.

This skewer place in Hoi An? Absolute banger. The owner’s honestly the sweetest ever. First tried it two nights ago, then went back yesterday,but it was boiling and packed, so we had to head back to the hotel. Today? We legit waited for it to open at 2pm like total foodies. It was THAT good. Had the 3-combo with my hubby, hands down the best meal ever. And the beer? Ice cold. Like, actual heaven. Literally left the hotel just to come back for this today. No regrets.

Doesn’t get any more local than this! Good price and good food eaten right on the sidewalk. Mostly locals eating here. If you don’t know how to assemble it, they will show you but be aware that they don’t use gloves when they assemble the first roll for you. Personally, I wasn’t too bothered since I trust em enough to keep their hands clean. Still really delicious! Oh not sure if they sell drinks so bring your own water! There are a few mini marts across the street.

The best roadside food you can get in Hoi An, highly recommended. Since the place is usually crowded, you might have to wait longer than usual — but that's to be expected, and it's definitely worth the wait. Foreigners are charged 100k for 10 skewers of meat (enough for two people). Locals pay slightly less, but the difference isn’t significant — so don’t overthink it.

Big local restaurant with a small menu. The prices were ok. I had the cao lau and it was a good sized bowl. My meal was tasty and cost 50k. There were chopsticks at the table but no spoons. Also, pieces of paper instead of proper napkins. Lots of tables and chairs and had off street parking for free.

Please avoid this place! Worst food in Vietnam. The lady scammed us with the bill. 50k for a bowl of cao Lau of the worst quality. I believe they don't really like foreigners as all the other tables were locals.

Do NOT eat here!!! Poor service and the worst food I've had while in Vietnam. The cau lau tasted like rubber, just hoping I don't get food poisoning from it later. The woman running the place also cheated us -- charging us 45k dong per bowl of cau lau, when the price at much nicer places in Hanoi old town or on An Hoi island is only 25k dong.

Loved the food, service was good although the people that worked there didn't speak English. Atmosphere is very basic, open air restaurant. Very limited menu. But I enjoyed it.

Where else can you get a great meal and watch rats running through the restaurant. Gotta love Vietnam. Honestly the food was amazing. Ignore the rats. The locals did.

We ate in a very nice local setting, and the young lady at the restaurant thanked us for our order with a smile. It was my first time eating this dish, and it was delicious. I'm hooked! I'm also grateful for the father's smile. I'm glad I went.

Our favorite meal during a two week trip to Vietnam. The menu is only in Vietnamese, but the super friendly server (owner?) was very kind and translated everything for us. The amazingly delicious drinks had loads of fresh zest. The signature platter with superb fish sauce was a real treat. We also ordered the quail and a very delicious squid salad-all fantastic. We were so excited about the flavors we forgot to take a photo of the food.

I went for very late lunch around 3:30. Platter for 1 with meat was more than I could eat! No wait time. Ladies were absolutely lovely 😊. Yes the shrimp sauce is strong but isn’t that why you came? The price is cheap.

We absolutely loved the Bun Dau Lon! Bun Dau is an assorted plate of meats and fried goodies accompanied with a tasty & spicy fermented shrimp dipping sauce. We ordered the large portion and it filled us both up. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. One of the staff, a very nice lady, spoke English and helped us decide what to order. This is a neighborhood gem that was filled with locals and tourists when we visited. I highly recommend a visit!

Interesting snack but filling with noodles The 70k bun dau lon is enough for 2 as snack. We only ordered one dish to try. We finished the food though we had lunch Arrived at 2 but really started at 2.30 as we were the first customer. Venue did say a start of 2pm but we were flexible. The plate is a variety 9f fried finger foods apart from the portion of vegie and white noodle. The sauce might be a bit unique for foreigners.

We got here after lunch time and the place was empty, but we don’t regret staying. It did feel like a locals spot. The sauce is pretty atomic smelling. If you don’t like the smell of durian, you’ll definitely not like his one. Only give four stars because we didn’t get our full order (we could’ve reminded them).

One of my new favorite local spots. Everything we tried was bursting with flavor and they even helped us get the full authentic experience of the beef pancakes, showing us how to eat them correctly. Don’t be surprised if I’m here every night of our trip!

What a treat it was stumbling across this restaurant, the lady chef showed us how to eat her pancakes and spring rolls. They were delicious, we had our first avacado smoothie there.🥑 This is a must-try place to eat. ohh yeah its very clean

I just had some Banh Xeo here, honestly one of the best I’ve ever tried. Super crispy, full of flavor, and the owner is really kind. It’s a little hidden spot, actually recommended to me by another restaurant owner from Silent Café (which also serves great Banh Xeo, but was closed today). Definitely worth checking out if you’re around!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, even as a foreigner in a place full of locals, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The owner is incredibly friendly and truly passionate about making guests feel at home—it shines through in every interaction. The atmosphere was lively, the food was delicious, and the prices were almost unbelievable for the quality you get. What made it even more special was the personal touch: their sweet dog came over and was so affectionate, adding to the already warm and inviting experience.
