Bánh Mì Phượng is a renowned Vietnamese street stall located in Hoi An, known for serving what many consider the best bánh mì in the world. The humble streetside stall, with limited space for dining in, attracts long lines of patrons eager to savor its bánh mì offerings.
We visited this place for all the hype on social media and the food didn’t disappoint us. Banh mi - a baguette with Pâté and other fillings. A staple in vietnam , the food introduced by french! The price is very reasonable compared to the ones you get at restaurants. There can be wait if you come during lunch and dinner hours. We were there around 3.50pm so got a table without much wait. The place is not that clean with bread crumbs found on floor because of the customers and the staff got no time to clean it with the place being super busy. Don’t except the place to super hygienic. If you are a foodie you must eat here or you can take away the banh mi too. But we had to eat here along with the amazing avocado shake they serve! Ordered grilled chicken with cheese and the grilled pork one. The Pâté is so tasty that I fell in love with the taste of it. Bread is crispy from outside and soft inside. Also ordered mango smoothie and avocado coconut smoothie. Must try avocado coconut smoothie here. Loved pork banh mi better than the chicken one. Chilli oil was yumm and we poured lot of chilli oil to our banh mi to make it spicier. Service was quick. This place serves the best banh mi. And much better than banh mi queen where they make mostly for foreigners’ taste buds (bland, non-spicy, no chilli oil unless you ask)
Rachitha K — Google review
The sandwiches they serve here are really good. I was skeptical at first but the ingredients they use are not of cheap quality processed meat but have whole chunks of meat as well as their homemade pate. I've ordered the sandwich with chicken and cheese and grilled pork with pate. Both were great and couldn't really tell which I preferred more (make sure to add their own chilli sauce). Avocado smoothie was perfect. The salt coffee was good too but a little bit too sweet for my taste. Overall pretty good value for the price paid. This place is clean and most times of the day full of customers.

Being a huge Banh Mi fan, I made it my mission to find the best one in Hoi An. The top contenders, of course, were Banh Mi Phuong and Madame Khanh (The Banh Mi Queen). We started with Banh Mi Phuong, it’s the one that Anthony Bourdain famously loved, so expectations were high! Both places have indoor seating, which is great since you can actually sit down and enjoy your sandwich comfortably. I ordered a pork and a chicken banh mi to compare fairly. Unfortunately, the chicken banh mi at Phuong’s was quite a letdown; the meat was dry, the filling wasn’t generous, and the pâté didn’t have much punch. The pork version was better and had more flavor, but the bread could’ve been fresher. Overall, it just didn’t live up to the hype. Next stop: Madame Khanh, and wow, what a difference! I ordered the exact same sandwiches, and this time I was blown away. Both were packed with ingredients, full of flavor, and the pâté… OMG 😲 unreal! The BBQ pork was my absolute favorite, but honestly, I’d order both again in a heartbeat. So yeah, for me, Banh Mi Phuong sadly lost this round. Maybe it’s not quite what it used to be back in Bourdain’s day. Hats off to The Queen 👑 she completely lives up to her title! 🥖

Located in the Old Town Hoi An. The restaurant is very popular and long queues, but it is worth it! The queues is endless, but the staff does an excellent job managing the orders. The baguette is fresh with the right balance of crunch and chewy. The sauce is delicious and well seasoned, family secret and the filling of meats and pork are amazing. The price is reasonable. The best Banh Mi.
Russ L — Google review
Best Banh mi I’ve had in Hoi An. It definitely lives up to all the hype and the price is amazing. The best part or what made them so amazing is the quality of the pate. You can tell it’s heavily seasoned and has been cooked twice which I haven’t seen in many Banh mi restaurants. It’s definitely what makes it taste so good. The bread is very light and crunchy it holds the sandwich together well. The ingredients are all very fresh and the turn over of ingredients is so quick. There are 5 chefs working to assemble the sandwiches at all times. There is an inside seated area if you want to get off the street or out of the heat/rain. The hardest part is dealing with the Instagram/tourists who aren’t sure how or where to order or wait for their food. I came back here 3 times and tried two everytime. One isnt enough try two at a time it’s a good amount to be full but not bloat yourself as one just makes you want another one.

Ordered no.7 (omelette) but was a fried egg not an “omelette” (what I’d expect to be whipped egg yolk & white mixed up) and could’ve done w way more veg filling. Bread was fresh and crispy though so points for that. Ordered avo choc smoothie but got avo coconut instead (possible miscommunication but still yum! Very creamy and fresh). Overall not the best not the worst banh mi.

My favorite bánh mì spot! The beef was incredibly juicy and flavorful, and the bread had a perfect, satisfying crunch. Every bite was well-balanced, making it a must-try for anyone craving a delicious and fresh bánh mì.

Extremely busy, filled with tourists, no locals eat here. The banh mi is delicious. There is a wide variety to choose from as well as other food options and drinks!

When you find yourself in Vietnam, indulging in a Bánh mì is an absolute must, and "Bánh mì Mr Hieu" stands out as a delightful option. Nestled in the charming town of Hoi An, this eatery offers a unique twist on the beloved sandwich. Unlike many places that rely on processed ingredients, Mr. Hieu prides himself on using freshly cooked meats and perfectly seasoned spices to create an unforgettable flavor experience.
This is literally the most delicious Bahn Mi we have had so far. We are here for 4 months and will be coming for most of that time. The roll is crispy, the pork simple and tasty and the fillings very light and not full of oil. I’m a chef so to find this little gem is perfect no cooking for me. Staff are so wonderful too. We've already eaten about 6 bahn mi at Mr. Hieu and can't get enough! The bun is super crispy, the chicken is very tender, and it's packed with a variety of herbs, which makes the bahn mi taste super fresh and simply delicious! Cheese was added upon request; simply fantastic! The best bahn mi in Vietnam so far! It's a shame we're leaving Hoi An, but only because of this bahn mi! Unfortunately, the price here is relatively high. A chesse with chicken Bahn Mi costs 45,000 dong. You'll also be given a large drink, which costs 40,000 dong. Things can get expensive here quickly.

A lovely way to start our day, we ordered the pork and egg banh mi and enjoyed it served hot! We also had a hot local coffee and ginger lemon drink. Reasonably priced too!

I was starving and forgot to take a photo of the banh mi we ordered. As soon as we got our food, we devoured it right away, and ended up ordering another round. It’s delicious, yes, and I believe my judgment is correct despite being overpowered by hunger. I will definitely go back again and prove that myself right. The place is well-lit, eye-catching, and so is the food.
Ian D — Google review
Warm and welcoming atmosphere with delicious, well-prepared dishes. A must-visit spot for anyone craving great food and friendly service!
Marcus Y — Google review
We were craving a great banh mi and, after seeing all the rave reviews, we couldn’t resist checking out this place. There were a few tables available where you could sit and enjoy your sandwich with a drink, so we decided to settle in next to a nice, powerful fan for some added comfort. We ordered both a pork roll and an egg roll to try the difference. They were freshly made right after we ordered and placed on the grill. As soon as they were served, we couldn’t wait to take our first bite—and we were not disappointed! This was, hands down, one of the crunchiest banh mis I’ve ever had! Crunch factor: 10/10. The pork roll featured slices of actual pork meat, not the usual pork ham, which felt like a fresher and healthier option compared to the cold cuts I’m used to. The pate had a homemade taste to it and was absolutely delicious—10/10. The only thing I missed was the pickled carrot, but when I spoke with Me Hieu, he explained that he wanted to make his banh mi stand out by skipping it. He also mentioned that some people prefer not to have it, so that’s why he left it out. The egg roll was good, too, though we found the egg a bit overpowering compared to the herbs and pate. It would make a great breakfast option for some extra protein, but personally, I’ll stick to the pork version next time. We also tried both a salt ice coffee and a regular milk ice coffee, and both were perfectly made and delicious! Now, a quick note for any Aussies out there: If you're used to the Australian-style banh mi, I’d suggest coming with a different mindset. Remember, this is where banh mi originated, and the Australian version has been adapted to local ingredients and taste preferences. So, it might be a bit different from what you're used to, but it’s definitely a unique and authentic experience worth trying. Every region boasts its unique take on their dishes and this should be respected. At just 35,000 dong per roll, this was a 5-star meal we thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend!
Wai W — Google review
One of the few stalls where the staff spoke excellent English. The chicken Bánh mì was good, though at 39,000 dong the price was slightly higher compared to other places I visited. It was also possible to sit inside, which isn’t very common. The bread was good and crispy, but I’ve had the chance to try even better Bánh mì during my trip through Vietnam.
Luboš — Google review
This spot has the best vegetarian bahn mi with tofu and mushrooms. It’s so flavorful and the perfect balance. The owners are so sweet and welcoming too!! Highly recommend!!

Dessert shop
If you find yourself wandering along Nguyen Truong To Street in Hoi An, keep an eye out for a small street vendor offering a delightful treat known as Che Xi Ma Phu. This traditional dessert is made from a blend of black sesame, coconut, rice flour, and sugar, resulting in a smooth and luscious soup with a distinct sesame flavor. You can savor this sweet delight while sitting on a stool along the street, taking in the local atmosphere.
Cool, unique experience to sit down, drink homemade sesame soup, and hear the history and experiences of the family/owner behind the soup. When we went we were the only ones — it was a bit hard to find, as it looks like you’re walking into someone’s house. Sesame soup was good as well; not too sweet, especially paired with the tea. Would recommend to anyone looking to sit down for a while, eat homemade desserts, and listen to local history.
Shanru — Google review
Some places deserve a visit for their rich history—and this was one of them. We went to try Che Xi Ma Phu, where Mr. Bao warmly welcomed us with a hot glass of herbal tea, followed by a comforting bowl of this sweet black dessert. The flavor was delicately sweet—not overpowering—letting the nutty richness of sesame and the smooth texture of what seemed like kudzu paste (quite like powdered rice) shine through. It’s a beautiful blend of taste and tradition. If you’re ever nearby, this is definitely a place worth visiting.
Rushreeta D — Google review
Beautiful and memorable experience. From the stomach warming black sesame soup tampered by old ginger tea, to the hospitable husband n wife who chatted with us n shared their 70 years tradition. Blessed to have met their mum (101 yrs old!) who pioneered the business with her husband (108 yrs old!). Their wares n photos were lovingly displayed to share with all. And would you believe that they are still sleeping on wooden beds ie no mattress! Perhaps there’s a hidden secret here… You will regret not visiting this place.

Milled by hand and prepared fresh daily by the owner, it's worth a visit to try this traditional dessert. The owner was also happy to share the history of his parents' business. The hot tea was also unique consisting of ginger.

This place is a TOURIST TRAP. They no more show the soup making after covid. Its just there in the ticket. When u go there, the old man will come and ask u for the soup. Its doesnt taste like anything. A very small bowl of soup. And he asks you 30k for it. I questioned him why is this part of my ticket that i paid for, He said you can see the pictures. I finally paid 10k and got off the place saying i dont have money
Ajith — Google review
It was fantastic to meet the owner of the house and hear his story. The house feels like a little museum and his 101 old mother that can been seen by the many photographers there is still alive, napping behind the main room. The sweet sesame soup was very good, great little treat to try the local traditions. The owner showed us the ingredients of how it is made. Sadly after Covid they don’t do any more demonstrations but still worth trying this place. We also got a complimentary cup of tea.

Cargo Club Cafe & Restaurant is a remarkable dining spot that offers a mix of Vietnamese and Western cuisine. Situated by the Thu Bon River, it provides stunning views from its upper terrace. The breakfasts are particularly renowned, featuring dishes like eggs Benedict, while the patisserie and cakes are exceptional. The menu includes fine-dining options and cocktails as well. Although slightly pricier, the balcony overlooking the river makes it worth it.
What a magical dining experience! This riverside restaurant offers a truly stunning view – whether you’re sitting on the balcony or at a table right by the lively street, you’re surrounded by charm. The river sparkles at night with countless floating lanterns and beautifully lit boats, creating an enchanting and romantic atmosphere. Most of the guests here are polite and respectful international visitors, which makes the overall vibe calm and pleasant. The staff are friendly, gentle, and attentive, making you feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment you arrive. The food is simply excellent – fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. Every dish was a delight. The drinks menu is also diverse and pairs wonderfully with the meal. A perfect spot for both couples and groups of friends who want to enjoy authentic food in a dreamy riverside setting. Highly recommended!

Nice location by the waterfront on the second floor outside. Very good food with best taste so far, salt/spicy/sweet. Spring rolls and they adapted the amount for the size of the group, nice. Price wise, a little more than average but to expect here. But no rip off. We order asian cuisine and this was all very good. Picture chicken with sticky rice. The drinks are very strong and almost to much..but if I was 10 years younger I’d probably love it…..

We were walking around the ancient town and saw this place that had very lovely atmoshere so decided to give it a try. Food was just decent overall, except for the Silken Tofu Salad, which was very tasty. Service was okay. Maybe it was because of too much seating (it’s huge inside with 2 floors)? AC on the 2nd floor was a plus. Tbh we ate at one of their sister restaurants in Taste Vietnam restaurant chain and it was better experience.

We had 3 amazing meals here, the first night in Hoi An we had dinner overlooking the river and the view was beautiful. There were 9 of us and the waitress dealt easily with all the split bills. I had a pizza and my wife had pho, both excellent. We then went back the following night just the two of us. I had sea bass curry which was excellent. We also had a snack lunch of fresh spring rolls, SO tasty.

Very high quality service and food. 3 person dinner with drinks approx 50eur. Steaks are overpriced but local food is fantastic. Opposite side of the river restaurant live music is too loud

We came to Dingo Deli after craving gluten free pizza over the last few months travelling, and it more than cured that!! The pizza was so so yummy, and my boyfriend (who isn’t gluten free and had a regular base) said it was also his best pizza so far! I also got a gluten free carrot cake to go, which was lush!

I'm staying in Da Nang, however when I saw the menu and the pics, I had to come. I needed some western breakfast and they met all my expectations. The service, food, atmosphere, everything was great. I can't wait to come back.
Deleno J — Google review
Only ate half, and they gave me a little fruit salad to apologize for the over cooked eggs & you can see quite clearly these eggs were not poached but cooked in a cup or microwave.. top dollar low quality unfortunately. Refund would have been more appropriate. I don't travel to whinge or create stress.. but I won't return to places that don't live up to the hype.

You must visit dingo deli for the fabulous gluten free food. They have a separate menu with plenty of choice. They can also bake gluten free bread within a few hours of ordering. Excellent staff and service

We came here from a recommendation to get the chicken Caesar wrap. When we got here we couldn’t help ourself but order the pastrami sandwich also and go half and half. We didn’t think much of the wrap but the pastrami sandwich however.. amazing. We came back a second day just for it. At 159K you can’t go wrong with the size of this thing, it’s massive! And super tasty. Over all the restaurant is clean and staff are friendly and give great service. Since here is a lot of westernised food it is a bit pricier however, still affordable. Would recommend if you’re missing home comforts such as bangers and mash or a chilli con carne. I even managed to find a Dr Pepper which was a blessing after travelling around Asia for a few months. They offer a wide range of gluten free options even desserts.

Good Eats Hoi An is a popular vegetarian cafe in Hoi An, offering a comfortable and cozy atmosphere with Bali vibes. The cafe provides ample seating, including an air-conditioned room for hotter days, making it suitable for leisurely meals or even work sessions. Despite its secluded location, Good Eats Hoi An has gained popularity for its European-style vegetarian dishes such as bagel sandwiches and salads featuring vegan cheese.
I came for the vegan cake. And was surprised about the huge place here. You have plenty options to sit. It’s a shabby chic look, the new stuff made look older. What I like the most is the green plants- makes it so much more valuable to rest my mind. I only eat the raw vegan cake - so rich and decant in nut and chocolate flavor. The staff are so friendly and with a lovely smile.

Another gem in Hoi An for delicious vegetarian food! Yesterday I had their avocado & scrambled egg bagel, and today I tried the pasta, both were so good. The location itself is beautiful too, such a lovely spot to enjoy a meal.

We are vegan and this was a great place for breakfast, I really recommend. I had the vegan mushroom toast and a coconut coffee. So delicious and fresh! The restaurant is also beautifully decorated with a peaceful atmosphere and you can buy art prints and things there too. 10/10!

After two days of fried food, we finally discovered this amazing café — fresh, healthy dishes, great coffee, and delicious cakes. Great value for the price as well! We loved it so much that we came back every day for the rest of our stay in Hôi An, and even ordered food for take-out ❤️

I went to Good Eats and loved everything I tried — especially the chocolate cookies (warning: dangerously delicious). The vibe is super chill, the staff is lovely, and the prices are great for the quality. It’s got that cozy, eco-friendly atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Hoi An, stop by — your taste buds will thank you.

We came here on a sunny day. The place has a lot of greenery and feels open and airy, but the seating area was a bit hot. Since we had kids with us, we decided to move to the bakery next door for a more comfortable spot and ordered food from this restaurant to bring over. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious, and the kids really enjoyed it. We’ll definitely come back!

great food!! So many delicious options, we had to come back again to try them! Lots of fans to keep you cool and staff kept refilling the water for us:)) Really recommend the loaded fries and bean taco - very generous portions.
Ishbel V — Google review
This place is wonderful. Their food is excellent and the space is beautiful. I got the vegan nourish with GF bread, it was DELICIOUS. Very abundant which is what I was hoping for. Its the only place ive seen with gf toast, and the buckwheat bread exceeded any expectations I had of it, seriously so good. The tofu sauteed with mushrooms and kale was great, and the sauces to accompany as well. Only thing id add is a bit more cherry tomatoes for some more freshness/raw and a bit more of the sauces. My friend got the bagel with guacamole and feta, nice proportions and very tasty guac. I later got the choco smoothie, so decadent, rich in creaminess and flavor and not too sweet which I loved. This place is pricier than the rest, but I can see why since the quality is promising and the dishes leave you feeling satisfied not just because of the portions but the taste.

Mango cake madam is a delightful treat that may surprise you with its ingredients. Despite its name, this cake does not contain any mango. Instead, it is made from sticky rice on the outside and filled with a sweet mixture of peanuts and sugar on the inside. The combination of textures and flavors makes it a unique and enjoyable dessert. If you're in the mood for something different, give mango cake madam a try!
Amazing, cheap, delicious. Will be dreaming about them when I go back home to Australia. Definitely try!
Emily J — Google review
The daughter (I think) was trying to sell to me VND15k per piece. I read about the price in the reviews and was trying to make it VND10k. Madam suddenly came from nowhere and shouted at me loudly "YOU! 2 FOR VND30k!!!" fiercely. She actually startled an elderly tourist walking by. I just walked away with the 2 of them continued scolding me in Vietnamese loudly.

Delicious small street food vendor, just buy them! Savoury and sweet and nutty. Lovely generous lady, especially when you come back for more. We love the mango cakes and the colourful jelly sweets. Such a good snack to grab for dessert or to take away for later.

The restaurant Chè Bà Thọ is a great place to try Vietnamese sweet desserts such as che and banh mi, as well as Vietnamese coffee. The prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting.
We were recommended by locals when we inquired about the sweet corn soup in Hoi An. This is not a tourist place and is a favorite among the locals. We tried their sweet corn soup with a bit of everything into the mix. A good combination to make up a tasteful dessert. We sat on a small stool on the street to eat. Highly recommended, value for money and good too.

Still dreaming about the Che bap (corn)! It was so good we had to come back for seconds after shopping in Hội An. I was surprised to find that she was a business on Google. There were many locals who stopped by to order Che to go as we sat there to enjoy ours. When we returned later that night, she had sold out of all the varieties in the large pots. I thought she wouldn't sell well because many tourists pass by and her sign is only in Vietnamese, but the real viets know what's up! Only 15k per bowl no matter which one you choose!

Traditional Hội An banh mi from a local lady who has been selling there for 40 years. She's really lovely and her baguettes are so good. Priced between 10k - 15k VND. She can't speak English but happy to serve any foreigner.

(Translated by Google) I have been eating Ms. Thu's bread since I was a child for more than 20 years now. The bread here has kept the true flavor of Hoi An for a long time, unlike other places that have been over-touristed and left with boring food. (Translated by Google) This bakery is quite old in the old Trai Nong neighborhood. Average cabinet, average taste, to the normal level. Especially amid the wave of culinary culture being promoted and the attention from many young people, the quality of this bakery remains stagnant. The types of broth, pate or meat patties are not new. Exactly, the sellers in this area in the past mainly sold to carts, cargo trucks, and traders, rather than to tourists like now. So the owner still maintains the same manners and methods as before. Recommend everyone to try the Banh Chung sandwich. It's the type of sandwich seller that workers used to order in the past, eating it to fill their stomachs and make their stomachs firm. In addition, there are also hamburgers, patties, fried eggs, sausages, or for vegetarians, add peanut butter and sugar sandwiches. Price from 10k. The price is reasonable, whoever buys it adds toppings so she can charge a little extra, it's like sending her extra to maintain the shop. :D You're so old that you're hunched over.

Despite its location near Da Nang beach, the prices are reasonable compared to other nearby restaurants. KURUMI is also environmentally friendly, using minimal plastic for delivery.
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Visited this place multiple times. Staff were sweet. Food was sooooo delicious. Cannot find anything like this in the U.S. NOTE: the fettuccine pesto pasta that I tried back in January 2025 was THE BEST PESTO PASTA I’VE EVER HAD! It tasted much more well-seasoned with very nice basil flavor than the spaghetti pesto pasta

Kurumi Da Nang is an absolute gem! The tomato soup is incredibly flavorful—truly a wow experience. My boyfriend and I also tried the yellow Thai curry, and it was hands down the best vegan dish we've ever had. The fresh, zesty lemon juice perfectly complements the meal. The cozy, spotless space and warm, attentive staff make every visit a delight. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. I’d happily come here every day! Highly recommended…!🤩💕

I first came to Kurumi in 2022, and when I booked my latest trip to Da Nang, I booked accommodation so I'd be within walking distance to Kurumi. I've been here three times over the last week, enjoying their baguettes, Caesar Salad, raw chocolate cake, and iced chocolate coconut. The food is always tasty and the staff very friendly. They work hard to keep the restaurant clean and greet their customers enthusiastically. My only recommendation would be to have napkins on each table (or give an extra one if dessert and/or drinks are ordered). Overall, I recommend Kurumi for vegans looking for tasty, Western food.

I totally recommend this restaurant and would come back many, many times!

Kurumi is one of my three favorite vegan restaurants in Da Nang! (iVegan & Chickpea Eatery are the.other two) They serve a wide range of freshly prepared vegan dishes, from breakfast with smoothie bowls, sandwiches (banh mi), omelettes and even vegan pancakes. My absolute favourites are the three Banh Mi (Italy Baguette, Italy Baguette with Brie and Sandwich with smoked Tofu & caramelized Onions). These vegan banh mi variations are definitely the best banh mi I've tried so far. Even my husband, who is not vegan, fell in love with the banh mi from Kurumi. We've already been here several times and try our way through the varied menu. The pancakes are fluffy, moist and the cream on top makes them perfect. Not too sweet, not too dry - simply delicious. In addition to the banh mi, we have also tried the burrito bowl, the potato vareniky and a smoothie. Everything was really good. There is also a selection of vegan cakes, chocolate, bars and balls. There is also free filtered water and a large selection of vegan coffee varieties such as salted coffee. The Cesar salad is unfortunately not that spectacular, rather boring and also a little unkind. All in all, Kurumi is a great restaurant that I can only recommend. We'll be back more often!

The attentive staff further enhance the experience, making it a must-visit destination for gelato enthusiasts seeking delightful flavors in a vibrant setting.
Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. The selection was adequate, I got strawberry and stracciatella. The ice cream flavours were very nice and it was good ice cream. There was air conditioning upstairs and so I went up as it was raining out and humid. I thought it was quite a pleasant place to sit, nice soft lighting, music and cute little tables, some with little posy of flowers in a vase.

Suggested by friend, the sourdough avo is big sized. Real quality sourdough. Tried three times, always consistently made. The front seating is comfortable even on hot summer day since it's shaded well with plants. There are indoor seating. Toilet is well maintained. Locals come for coffee.

Really great spot with comfortable seating. Coffee and croissant were both really good, although I wasn’t blown away. Atmosphere feels comfortable but a bit plain. I was here to work and I appreciated the long bench with pillows to support my back.

The avocado toast was incredible - the most avocado I’ve had in Asia!!! Muffin was delicious, as was the BELT and the cappuccino and bread. Highly recommend!!!

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful and lovely this bakery is — The pastries and food are outstanding. The coffee is delicious. There is indoor (with air conditioning) and outdoor seating. I enjoy sitting outdoors in the comfortable chairs and watching the busy road outside as people pass by and enjoying my morning coffee. You are always welcomed warmly, very well taken care of at your table or you can order from the counter. I have visited many times and it is one of my favorite places in the city. Great job to a team here for creating a place where people want to come and feel welcomed.

This is seriously the best ice cream I've ever had! I'm not exaggerating! The flavors are naturally and there is a wide variety! I ate here four times in two days because I loved it sooooo much! I tried a few different flavors and loved all of them! The woman is super friendly and efficient! It is located on a nice quiet street and has a lovely aesthetic!I would recommend this to anyone in the area!

We came here three times in three days. It's a small window where the lady who owna the place seems to make the ice cream in her kitchen. They were all good but the basil and lemongrass was beyond delicious.

We ordered the Mango and it was really light and yet still creamy. You can tell that this is home made too as it’s really delicious. The serving was small but we liked that as it was a nice refreshing snack to help us on our way. Would recommend a pit stop here!

Perfect refreshment on a hot day. I highly recommend the ice cream from the window. A large selection of flavors and a really good price. Flavors tried include: passion fruit, pho, green tea and ginger with honey and lemon. I liked the passion fruit the most, but they all tasted delicious. You can choose from a cone or a cup. Very nice, always smiling saleswoman. There are chairs outside so you can relax and enjoy some ice cream 🍦🫶🏻

EM’s Bakery in Hoi An is a charming and unassuming cafe that offers decadent flavors using delicious ingredients. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Visitors rave about the raspberry tart and pistachio mousse, describing them as some of the best they've ever had. The staff are friendly, adding to the overall positive experience at this lovely bakery.
Have visited twice on our trip to Hoi An as this is a spectacular bakery! Really nice atmosphere and comfy seats but the stand out is of course the food! We have enjoyed pizza slices and cakes here and both have been sublime! Definitely would recommend.

Close to the town without being too busy. The house itself is a lovely place. Decor is quite simple and cosy. Drink & food: nothing to complain. 5 stars.
Manh N — Google review
Got a mango coffee and a slice of pistachio cheesecake. Mango coffee was sweetened Vietnamese coffee on the bottom and mango puree on top, it was surprisingly delicious. The pistachio cheesecake was not too sweet and loaded with chewy pieces of pistachio. It's more of a dense, chewy, bready cheesecake than NY cheesecake or Japanese cheesecake. Because I like chewy and dense cakes, I really enjoyed it. The AC is strong which was a really nice escape from 90°F weather. The ambience was very chill and relaxing. Totally loved the music they played. There is wifi and I didn't try the pastries but they looked very flaky and light. They also had a lot of really interesting teas. Highly recommend for a short break during your exploration of Hoi An!

Fantastic place, wonderful food and coffee. If you require gluten free bread you must try this cafe. I had the avo on gluten free bread, scrambled eggs, cream cheese and added bacon. There is additional cost for gluten free bread but it is worth it 💖. Hubby had BLT and that was very good as well. Both left feeling very full. Cakes look delicious but could not eat anything else unfortunately. Staff are welcoming and attentive. Thank you 😍

Lagom is one of those places you just enjoy being in. The atmosphere is cozy, light, and welcoming, perfect for coffee, cakes, or a light meal. They also offer great vegetarian options, which makes it a nice spot to unwind alone or catch up with friends. I highly recommend the smoothie bowl with extra dark chocolate. It’s incredible, refreshing, and so satisfying. Definitely a highlight for me! The staff are genuinely kind and want to make sure you feel good and taken care of. Sometimes they might seem a little nervous, but their effort and sweetness really shine through. Overall, Lagom is a sweet little spot worth visiting if you’re looking for comfort, good food, and a welcoming vibe.
Anika — Google review
They have a fantastic playlist, hehe. The atmosphere is simple and nice, the staff are friendly, and the pistachio cheesecake is delicious. Their coffees are great too. If I can share my honest opinion about the BLT sandwich, all the ingredients were very good, but I did miss the tanginess from the mayo, which I had to ask for separately. I would really recommend they skip the egg, add more tomato, and spread the mayo directly on the bread. For a great BLT, you need that creamy tang from the mayo, the fresh tang from the tomato, and the salty hit from the bacon all coming together to make the perfect sandwich. That said, it’s still such a great spot!
CURIOUS V — Google review
Always fresh desserts, not dry like traditional Vietnamese cakes. Vegan cake options available. A pleasant space with an interesting selection of books.
Anastasia I — Google review
I like the cakes but the coffee is so bad. Look, no crema on the espresso, nothing, and your beans mix is so mediocre, the Americano was just meeh, for that price point you should expect more.

The perfect coffee place in Hoi An for a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. I ordered the vegan burger, which was more like a big falafel sandwich, which i didn't mind because it was delicious. They have a variety of cakes and cookies, I took the carrot cake and a truffle, and both were absolutely divine! The service is great, very fast and lovely. Delicious smoothie bowls. There is a good selection and availability can depend on what is in season. I like this as it shows they are buying fresh local produce. It certainly tastes fresh and delicious too. Very healthy and filling. Nice friendly staff. Clean and stylish decor with a tiny coutyard and balcony in the upstairs area. Take your camera 😉

Very nice place to relax for a nice cold fruit drink ans enjoy the peiple passing by or the building itself. It can only be described as... Well you just need to look at the photos: its pretty chill and creative. While the juices were nice and refreshing, they really didn't have anything without sugar which would have been my only gripe. I'm talking an unsweetened cold tea, infused water, or something of the sort. But otherwise, great service and nice discovery.

Best place for a fruity breakfast, snack or a coffee. We went here three times during our visit to Hoi An and the prices are really good comparing to other similar places in the city and comparing to Europe it’s really cheap. Everything really tasty and nice. Would recommend this to everyone.

Discovered this little gem on my second day I Hoi An and have been visiting it daily! The draw is in how calm this place is. The music reminds me of a spa, and the chirping of the birds on the tree just outside adds to this symphony. Unlike other cafes along the Hoi An Old town this place has heart. The service staff noticed that I had a bad throat and recommended me a honey concoction. Instagrammers can also find lovely nooks and crannies for their OOTDs whether at the poach, foyer, stairs, or the couches on the second floor. Highly recommended for some peace and quiet away from the maddening crowd.

The homemade ice cream was an absolute delight. The icebox freezer was packed with an array of delicious flavours. After spending some time in Dalat, I had a real hankering for avocado ice cream or an avocado smoothie. Without many options in Hoi An, I stumbled across this ice cream shop and decided it would be worth a try, even if they didn’t have the flavor I was searching for. I ended up trying their matcha and passion fruit flavors which were delicious! The texture of their ice cream is very pleasant and the temperature they are kept at maintains it beautifully. The owners of the shop are super friendly and you feel very welcome walking through the door until you walk out!

The best homemade ice cream in Hoi An! We headed there on a chill night out but the lady was closing the gates (which is also the entrance to their home). As soon as she saw us arriving, she got the key and opened again, then proceeded to serve us. I felt so bad because we kinda woke up the entire family but they greeted us with the biggest smile and in their pjs. The older lady got chairs out for us to sit in as well. As for the ice cream, a must try! Definitely recommend the Seasalt Caramel & Cinnamon flavours. Not too sweet, not heavy at all - just perfect. It might look a bit shady as it is in a bit of a side alley and it’s their home, but you must give it a try!

The place is ran by a very sweet family, their child asked me for what flavour ice I wanted and it was the cutest thing ever. Tiệm Chè Xíu - Chè Ngon Hội An is a must-visit when exploring the ancient town of Hoi An. We came here based on a recommendation from one of the locals who worked in a restaurant we visited the previous night. You know it’s good when this place is frequented by locals and she was right! The Madagascar coconut ice cream is definitely worth coming for. We were worried it would be too much judging by the photos online but portions are smaller in person. We loved that it was served with fresh coconut and the longan jam is very unique! We also got the house special dessert which came with coconut milk, a mix of jelly, palm fruit, chewy sweet potato and taro flavoured rice balls. It’s not as sweet as other dessert spots - which may be a good thing for some. I did not give full stars as the service was lacking. We must have caught the staff on a bad day as they didn’t say a word to us when we ordered nor made eye contact or smiled. Which is not reflective of the great hospitality we’ve experienced from the Vietnamese people thus far.
Kathy N — Google review
Nice spot for Vietnamese-style desserts where locals gather for a sweet treat. It is light, refreshing and different. Simply delicious and very affordable. I tried a tofu-based one this time with coconut ice cream. The outside terrace is great to enjoy your dessert and chill.
Gilles P — Google review
The size is smaller than it looks on the menu, so it's just the right size for an after-meal dessert. The cold desserts, which include soft tofu, brown sugar syrup, red beans, taro, and black jelly, tasty and funny texture.
Real E — Google review
Tiệm Chè Xíu is a tiny, authentic dessert shop just a short walk from Hoi An’s city center—easy to find, and absolutely worth the visit if you’re curious about traditional Vietnamese sweets. The place is humble, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a casual, street-style atmosphere. Don’t expect English menus or staff that speak much English—this is as local as it gets. The best trick? Snap a photo of what you want and show it to them. They’re friendly and will happily serve you with a smile. The menu is strictly Vietnamese chè—sweet soups and desserts with coconut, beans, jelly, fruits, sticky rice, and more. It’s vertically focused, so don’t expect anything else, but trust me, it’s more than enough. Everything I tried was delicious. Sure, the presentation isn’t Instagram-perfect, but the flavors make up for it tenfold. The standout for me was the coconut bowl: cold, refreshing, creamy, and topped with crunchy peanuts. It’s the kind of dessert that hits just right in the Hoi An heat. And the best part? It’s incredibly cheap. You can taste multiple dishes without spending more than a few euros
Marika S — Google review
We discovered this small, traditional dessert shop in Hoi An and it was a delightful surprise! I tried chè – a classic Vietnamese dessert made with coconut, beans, and jelly – and it was truly delicious. Perfectly sweet, refreshing, and exotic, ideal for the Vietnamese climate. The shop had an authentic local vibe, the staff were very kind, and service was fast. Prices were very reasonable. If you’re looking for something light, local, and special, this place is definitely worth a visit.
Marina S — Google review
We have been coming here everynight since we found this spot. My sister is the one with the sweet tooth and found this place. I dont always like asian desserts because they are not like traditional cakes or cookies. These are more like cold coconut milk soups with various toppings like boba, tofu pudding, jellies, snd these yummy chewy taro type of things. The coconut ice cream is just ok, not enough coconut flavor and the coconut meat is hard to scoop out so after eating the ice cream i ask the staff to scrape it out for me or else id break a spoon before i get the coconut meat. I love the coconut milk desserts with the ice. The ice reduces the sweetness and makes the dish so refreshing. The tofu is soft and is flavorful. I had the egg custard tofu and coconut milk dishes each time. Super cheap yummy cool down snacks. They close at 10pm so come by early.

ORI IceCream is a popular ice cream spot in Vietnam, known for its fabulous homemade gelato-like ice cream with a wide range of flavors. The owners are friendly and the place has a typical sidewalk seating area. The ice cream is reasonably priced and attracts both locals and tourists. While some visitors found the ice cream to be okay, others raved about its deliciousness.
For the price you can’t knock this ice cream. We stopped in after dinner one night and it became our go to ice cream place. The person, that I assume was the owner, was very friendly and chatty. We sat in to eat and while we were there lots of local people stopped their motorbikes outside to pick up take-out ice cream which added to experience.

Lovely ice cream made by the owner on the premises. Spent a happy time communicating on Google translate.

Ok ice cream. It’s soft serve in a cup then frozen. Odd but ok. 12000vnd per serve. Good service.

Homemade ice cream is fabulous. More like a gelato, with a great range of flavours. Beer is really cold👍🏻 Typical sidewalk tables and chairs for seating Mini mart with all sorts of goods available. Owners are lovely and Yum speaks pretty good English.

The BEST gelato I’ve had in a while! We stayed 3 nights in Hoi An and went here every single night. They sometimes serve a brownie as well, highly recommend getting it with a salted caramel gelato (heavenly combo). Their earl gray and matcha ice cream is also unbelievable. Their staff working here is SOO friendly and nice! Thank you :) another bonus: they accept card payments
Margarita O — Google review
The ice cream here is amazing. I wish I had known about the place long before I was due to leave Hoi An as I would have visited many more times. There is a great selection of home-made flavours at a good price. There's also some nice handmade jewellery available to purchase. Daisy is very kind and a pleasure to chat with too.

Such a cute little gelato shop in Hoi An. A double scoop cone helped me recharge after a hot day in Hoi An. The lady manning the counter spoke really good English and I was able to have a good conversation with her. They also accept cards for payment at no extra charges.

Great ice cream and open til late for a late night snack! The lady serving me was lovely also.

The soursop didn’t taste strong in flavour. In addition, it was rather in a small portion.

Oh yeah they know what they are doing, and ill say it right now, this over Freezedom. I came to try weird local stuff and they did not joke around. Mía tắc and vải thầu, trust me ull regret missing them. another reason to visit Hoi An, other than Phuong

What a lovely place. The ice cream was delicious we were recommended the brownie and salted caramel ice cream combo which was so nice. We also tried the earl grey ice cream which did not disappoint and was very refreshing. Daisy was so friendly and helpful and even put on our favourite song as we had our ice cream, 10/10 service. We will definitely be back.

Bakery
We got Grab delivery from Jeremy’s - chocolate pecan cookie, brownie, and his homemade chocolate chip ice cream - wow wow wow. The cookie was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The ice cream had a small ingredient list and was divine. We just checked out his dine in menu and absolutely are going to make a point to get out there ASAP. Yum! Thank you for the attention to detail on your ingredient list, all homemade breads and desserts - so grateful.

Loved this joint! Been on the lookout for decent donuts in Hoi An, and these are very legit. The acid test is always the simple glazed donut, and theirs is top notch. Also tried the Boston Cream (wife loved it), PB&J (also very good, could use a wee bit more jam) and the maple glazed cake donut. Good value at 140k for the lot. Will order again!
Judd L — Google review
We stopped by Jeremy Kitchen to Go and had a donut and a cinnamon roll, and wow, it was absolutely amazing! Honestly, it was the best cinnamon roll of my life. The two waitresses were incredibly sweet and so helpful, which made the experience even better. You wouldn’t expect to find such a gem in a quiet residential neighborhood, but it turned out to be the best stop of our trip to Hoi An.
Yasmine K — Google review
I saw that salmon bagel was available to order on Grab so I cycled over as I lived nearby. I was however told by the girl on duty that she did not know how to make it, or any sandwich at all. She did not even apologise. If things cannot be sold on a day they should be correctly reflected on Grab.
Chi P — Google review
Really good bakery exactly but the location too far for me, hope one day more close to busy areas
