NAÏM, formerly known as Shouk, is a stylish restaurant located in Paddington, Brisbane. It offers reimagined traditional flavors from the Mediterranean and Middle East. The restaurant is popular for its breakfast menu and also serves a delectable dinner from Thursday to Sunday. The character-filled dining space provides an inviting ambiance to savor dishes like shwarma spiced chicken wings, stuffed eggplant with caramelized lamb bacon, and spanakopita bastilla.
Easily the best breakfast I have had in over 7 years of eating out all over the country. Great backdrop high on the hill and awesome concept of plant based menu and the other side being “regular” menu. Recommend the vegetarian shakshuka- moist falafels instead of eggs 😋
Dr D — Google review
Nice little suburban Turkish/ Middle Eastern style restaurant. Located just off Latrobe Terrace, indoor dining rooms. Good service, all the food looked and tasted great. We had a large table so opted for shared platters which worked well. Parking is definitely an issue in Paddington, especially if there is an event on at Lang Park. Bus stop nearby on the Terrace.

my favvv cafe in Brisbane <33 the food is consistently delicious across all the fresh menu rotations and their drinks are delicious. I loved and miss the harissa crab scramble u_u but the current selections are amazing too <3 I don't really drink coffee and they have so many yummy non-coffee options. service is great, friendly and warm :) the space is GORGEOUS. a beautiful hilltop view out the back seating area, and the interior is decorated beautifully. I love that they always have new art up on the walls.

Less than a 5 minute wait Sunday mid-morning for 3 people. Haven’t had GOOD Shakshuka in so long. Excited to try a couple cocktails off the drink menu next time!
Navreen — Google review
Food and dessert were so delicious. Also had mocktails. They were lovely. Great dinner spot. Super nice and cozy. Lovely staff.
CEO O — Google review
We had a lovely dinner at Naïm! I ordered the pumpkin (rice pilaf) and added lamb sausages. My partner ordered the beef cheek lasagna. They were both tasty but could use a little more flavor. For our starters we ordered the chubby pita and oysters and felt the same about those dishes. We’ve had brunch over at the hamsa room and loved all those dishes!l and their flavors!
Emily T — Google review
We had a birthday brunch at Naim and it was a fantastic spot for brunch, offering a diverse range of options of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The food is both hearty and flavourful and the Today’s juice was fabulous. The staff were so charming and friendly and we had a wonderful experience.

An extensive plant-based menu that soothes the soul. The OG old-school charm that'll spark romance!!! And service staff, who are adorably attentive. We couldn't be happier!

Located in Fortitude Valley on Ann Street, The New Black is a trendy and family-friendly spot with a relaxed atmosphere. The cafe offers a diverse menu featuring both classic and unique breakfast options such as avocado on rye, chili scrambled eggs, espresso waffles, and southern fried chicken eggs benedict. It's an ideal place to start your day before exploring the local artisan stores and historical sites in the area.
Although the cafe doesnt seem too large, there are plenty of seats the lane right next door (quite spacious green and trendy!) The staff were very friendly and the coffee was fantastic! Fried chicken benny was very well done but a word of warning for the chilli scrambled egg- it is quite hot! I got the hash added on side as recommended 👍 Just the parking can be a hassle - paid parking lots are so expensive per hour (fortitude valley!) so try and find street park.
Jess L — Google review
Have been going past Bakery Lane for a few months so decided to stop in and have a coffee. Bakery Lane is home to a surprising number of small cafes/ restaurants/ bars and shops. We pretty much liked everything about The New Black. The staff were friendly and efficient and our coffees were very good. Admittedly, mid morning during the week the Bakery Lane was not very busy, so no problem with getting a table. This is a busy little cafe in the middle of Fortitude Valley, but far enough off Ann Street that traffic noise was not a problem. One of a number of Valley lanes that are definitely worth a try.
Zeglar F — Google review
Went for breakfast today. Was super busy and the girls were run off their feet from the bridge to Brisbane event. The wait time today was super long, but we understood they were trying their best. Although a realistic time frame would have been better communicated in the future. Other tables were annoying and complaining but I hope they eventually understood that everyone arriving at the same time does cause delays. Well done ladies for keeping vibes high, smiles wide, and quality food and service❤️
Gary L — Google review
Great little alley find. Lovely little outdoor area to sit and enjoy the food and cool vibes of the space. Great coffee. Food was nice too but I had the chilli scrambled eggs and was expecting more creamy style scrambled eggs but got what I would call more of a flat omelette. Still tasty though. Overall a great little place. With the weekend surcharge I would say it ends up being more on the expensive side.
Mike B — Google review
# 4/5 Stars I recently visited The New Black's new breakfast area, and while the prices were a bit steep (averaging around $20 per breakfast dish), the experience was well worth it for those who want to kickstart their day in style. # Highlights - *Ambiance*: The breakfast area is stylish and modern, making it a great spot for a morning rush. - *Quality Food*: The breakfast dishes were delicious and well-presented, making the price point justifiable. - *Worth the Splurge*: If you're looking to treat yourself to a nice breakfast, The New Black is a great option. # Areas for Improvement - *Price*: $20 per breakfast dish might be a bit pricey for some budgets. # Recommendation If you're willing to splurge on a nice breakfast, The New Black's new breakfast area is definitely worth a visit. The quality food and stylish ambiance make it a great spot to start your day.

Great spot for brunch! The dishes are well-presented and thoughtfully crafted with fresh ingredients. Coffee is also impressive, with a balanced flavor profile – definitely comparable to other top-tier cafes in Brisbane. The interior has a unique vibe — a blend of minimalism and industrial chic, perfect for a relaxed weekend hangout or a casual business chat. Highly recommended for brunch lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike.
Nicole N — Google review
A very long wait for brunch in the cold, but that’s mainly because not many places in Brisbane open for brunch on Sunday so it was super busy. Food and coffee is amazing, definitely worth the wait. Whoever wrote this note on the bathroom door must have been having a bad day, because you have to do literally the opposite of everything it says here LOL.
Dane G — Google review
This is our third time going here and I can say, they are consistent in both food and service! Food- can never go wrong with the chicken benny! Get it! Crispy and tender fried chicken and best hangover food tbh! Also ordered the turkish eggs and it was good amount portion size and flavor wise, amazing balance of tangy salty and smokey. Service- we always go back to venues with amazing service! We didnt have reservation, and the server managed to give is a good seat! The server was really lovely, checked up on us if the food was ok. And water is always topped up. The atmosphere was relaxed, a bit grungy and not pretentious. The vibes of that place is 100%. Again, get that Chicken Benny! ⚡️

Lady Marmalade Cafe is a casual breakfast and lunch spot known for its inventive menu. Their Eggs Benny, served with a twist on an English muffin, features options like bacon, smoked salmon, or haloumi with citrus hollandaise. The cafe's house-made hollandaise and occasional specials using local produce make their eggs benedict stand out.
We were privileged to book a space near the flower wall for our 15 person celebration brunch. We sampled high tea, drank cocktails, had both sweet and savoury items from the menu and also had plenty to choose from to appeal to our vegan and vegetarian party-mates. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, very approachable and thoughtful. I found the booking system to be a breeze, even with some last minute changes, the team was able to accommodate our every need and nothing was too much! It was a fantastic experience, the food was incredible, the cocktails, delicious! Highly recommend!

Visited today, food was great and well presented. Service by Cristian was outstanding. For the very few reviews I ever leave. I found it necessary to highlight the friendly and energetic service provided. I felt so welcomed and looked after that I would recommend the cafe to anyone. Cristian is a high asses to this business as it made this an experience. Well done to the cafe and its staff. Huge shout out to Cristian. Will be coming back and will be recommending to anyone I talk to.

Met some friends for breakfast here recently. Great atmosphere, exceptional service (thanks Sylvia and other staff). We all ordered different meals and all were so delicious. Could not fault the coffee and I am deginately a coffee snob. Thank you for providing a beautiful space for our long awaited catch up. Highly recommend.

Came on a Sunday during brunch, it was quite busy, good thing we made reservations ahead of time, so we didn’t have to wait. The food was good and the portions were big, but we had to wait a while for the food to arrive. Ordered the truffle oil and parmesan fries, there wasn’t a strong truffle smell or taste to it, but the fries along with the aioli sauce was really good.
Sam Y — Google review
Such a cute spot! Extremely popular & has Brisbanes Best Pancakes! The breakfasts were large, amazing, full of everything and so nutritious 😍 so much seating inside and outside too, was an amazing experience this is a MUST spot to visit and make your go to cafe!
Jenna — Google review
Service was super friendly! We went without a booking and staff quickly found us a table outside. Atmosphere was nice, it was raining but tables are well out of the way from the elements. It was busy, coffee were nice, chicken burger was good and pancakes weren’t as expected. They were tough, dry and perhaps cooked with too much oil or butter as that’s all I could taste. For what we paid, probably would avoid coming back. As mentioned, the cafe was packed but food quality was a miss.
Renee T — Google review
Great cafe with friendly staff. The service is fast and the food is wonderful. My family have had brunch each time we visited. My eldest daughter loves the banana smoothie. Apparently the best she has ever had...and she’s had a few. I prefer the freshly made juice or a coffee. It gets really busy on the weekends.... so we prefer week days.
Michelle O — Google review
No doubt “Best cafe in Brisbane”. A delightful cafe with friendly staffs and good food. Highly recommend and will visit soon again ☺️ Great job guys!! Tried again this weekend and definitely the best, same customer service, great food, best coffee. Loved the varieties of menu. Smashed Avocado is always on point, liked their new Pancakes with Vanilla fairy floss 🙌

Morning After is a relaxed cafe located in Brisbane's West End, offering a menu that balances health and indulgence with dishes supporting local producers. The spot is known for its iconic breakfast carbonara and modern twists on classic breakfast items. Their MaMuffin offers a hearty morning carb load, while their gingerbread hotcake exceeds expectations with caramelized pineapple, butterscotch ice cream, pecan crumb, meringue, and summer syrup.
Open and fresh vibe. Breakfast was delicious, mixture of flavours in breakfast bowl is highly recommended. Black coffee was so good I had two. Only thing I'd suggest turn volume of music down.
Simone B — Google review
A hidden gem in West End. Overall experience was great. One of the owners Michael collected food from our table. There's nothing quite like the personal experience you feel when one of the owners is involved in everything day to day at a cafe. This being said the experience was great. We got 2x Mamuffins and OMG full straight flavour to our pallets. I will say unfortunately this won't be a 5 star. It would be a 4.5 star but unable to rate that. My mate got the Pancakes and the new recipe/what we received was just a little on the too sweet side. We got the Bicsoff milkshake and the Matcha Latte (It had a beautiful Pegasus art). Both bloody delicious. Would recommend if your in the area. They do say when in Rome right.
Jesse H — Google review
West End is a hidden gem in Brisbane! I love the charm of this neighbourhood. Morning After is strategically located at the corner with a spacious layout. You can’t miss it if you’re on the street. The service is prompt, and I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast bowl.
Y T — Google review
Really good food, matcha wasn't my favourite. Was a little grainy still and required a lot of stirring. Ordered the Polish Potato Pancakes and they were fantastic! Really enjoyed the pickled veggies with it. Also really appreciated that I was able to swap the eggs to something else as I am allergic to eggs.
Lana H — Google review
Faultless : try the Polish breakfast, it’s a masterpiece. Although I’m not sure if the masculine arrangement was intentional. In any case I was quietly amused — avant garde cuisine as art in keeping with the precinct’s milieu, no doubt.
Ken W — Google review
Food waa delicious. The harissa chicken was a large portion and the broccolini was cooked perfect. I didn’t like the matcha it was grainy and not a nice flavour. I think I would get a coffee instead next time. It was crazy busy but we got a table straight away and served quickly.

This has become one of our favourite places in Brisbane. The consistency in service, food, and ambiance every time we visit is truly impressive.!!

Pawpaw Cafe is a trendy diner with a vibrant atmosphere and creative brunch options. The cafe's aesthetic charm matches the delicious food, offering dishes like blossom-scented semolina porridge and nutmeg caramel hotcake. For those with dietary preferences, the menu includes a variety of vegan options such as tofu bao buns and Malaysian Yellow Curry. With customizable protein choices, Pawpaw Cafe caters to diverse dietary requirements.
What a gem this place is! I cannot fault it from the service to the amazing food, everything was perfect. We were looked after very well by the wonderful Saffron who made us feel very welcome. I had the Malaysian Yellow Curry and I’d say that it was hands down the best curry I have had in years! It was so good in fact that the rest of my table had so much food envy that took home a takeaway order of it for their evening meal! The Thai chicken salad was also amazing, as were the fish tacos. All food was very reasonably-priced and the portions, as you can see, were very generous. I will be back for sure! ❤️

Had a lovely breakfast here. The cafe is nice and bright with great options depending on how hungry you are. Good coffee and the food was delicious. I had the Prawn Omelette and the sauce on the plate was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend

A small but cute cafe that serves asian fusion style dishes. Lots of variety of food to eat. Definitely book ahead for a weekend as this place gets busy! We got the fish tacos and they were AMAZING so good. The service was great, friendly and attentive staff 😊
Emma A — Google review
Definitely book if you visit on the weekend, or be prepared to wait for a table. Managed to score 1 of 2 of their weekend-only monthly specials, which was a sweet pancake treat. Service was hard to come by probably due to the line of people streaming out the door. Atmosphere otherwise cosy enough with tasteful decor and friendly artwork.
Cass C — Google review
We arrived early, seated at the table reserved for us. Website has wrong dates for bao nights so that was disappointing. Food we ordered was great. Service was good, but could use some attentiveness when seeing if we needed anything. No music playing but had candles on tables. Could do with something to bring it alive.
Krista C — Google review
I’m a big fan of cafes but this place takes the cake. I had the weekend special of pistachio chocolate waffles (I hope this becomes a normal item, I’m going to be dreaming about it forever) and it was the best breakfast I’ve had in years. I don’t usually go for sweets but couldn’t resist, and I’m so glad. It was perfect. Like high end restaurant style. Textures, flavours and everything else perfectly balanced. Such a great price too. And great coffee with good crema. This is my new favourite cafe in Brisbane. Great staff and a beautiful atmosphere too.
Clarissa H — Google review
Went here after seeing it go viral on tick-tock, we when ealry Saturday morning 7am with reservation and where seated in a quiet comfy corner. The vibe of the whole place is very comfy and cosy. We have come a couple times now and love there food. There specials board changes every month so it worth checking back. They have biscoff cinnamon buns this month for august! Only on weekends. Their coffee was very good, but I wish it had been a little bigger, and the wait on our cinnamon buns with ice cream was more than expected. By the time we left 830~, it was packed. If you are going for one of there cinnamon bun specials you have to come before 9am. If you dont mind a busy atmosphere or a ealry morning its a win. All of there food is amazing, staff so lovely and friendly. The value was good if a bit on the higher end.

I had high hopes for Pawpaw Cafe in Brisbane after seeing so many Instagram recommendations, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. We visited for brekky and tried the omelette, truffle mushroom, and brekky muffin. Sadly, all the dishes were quite bland and lacked flavour. The truffle mushroom dish was made entirely with button mushrooms, with only a subtle hint of truffle. The sourdough was soggy on the bottom, making it unpleasant to eat. While the mushroom sauce was okay at first, it became a bit sickening after a few bites. The coffee was standard—not bad, but nothing special. Overall, it didn’t meet expectations. I wouldn’t recommend coming here for breakfast or brunch. If I ever return, it would only be to try the lunch menu in hopes it’s better.

Nestled in a restored Federation cottage, the Corner Store Cafe offers modern Australian cuisine made with organic vegetables from its own kitchen garden. Despite its unassuming exterior, this popular spot is known for consistently delicious dishes like beef brisket and potato hash or strapadsada with Greek-style herb and tomato scrambled eggs.
An absolutely wonderful experience at Corner Store - the chefs put such attention and care into cultivating a novel and fresh menu, and the quality of the ingredients is second to none. After I provided a suggestion on a previous visit, the staff took this onboard and made the food even better than it has been before - and I have such admiration and respect for a small business that strives to improve and keep delivering exceptional customer service. Very inspiring. Thanks to the warm and friendly wait staff too who were still smiling despite a very busy public holiday and made my day extra special enjoying the gardens and beautiful energy of this venue. Looking forward to coming back regularly.

Can’t fault it, large menu full of interesting options. Had Thai minced beef and chicken tacos. Both very good. Fresh vibrant and tasty food

It’s good but overpriced. Loads of really great places out there, this place is good but not the best and there are many other places you could go to for cheaper! The avo toast is delicious Fritters with poached eggs and beetroot is good, could do with more seasoning and salt Side portions are too big

The food was spectacular. The coffee was the best I've had for a long time. Fantastic depth of flavour, with barista art inclusive. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I wanted something spicy and the accommodated my desire. For desert we bought; chocolate fudge which was super rich, orange poppies muffin and a carrot cake to take home. All the deserts were delicious. Particularly the fudge. On street parking is available. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Definitely be going back soon!

I visited Corner Store Cafe after a friend recommended the cafe to me, and it was amazing to find such a great gem in Toowong! For food we ordered the crispy karagee chicken and the eggs and bacon your way, and for drinks we ordered the iced strawberry matcha (to-go) and the iced mango matcha. The karagee chicken was delicious and was accompanied by a really nice sauce. All the flavours combined in the mouth were so good!! The iced mango matcha was so refreshing and the mango and matcha flavours were well balanced. I will definitely come back and try other items of the menu. Such a great find in Toowong!

The quality of the food doest not match the prices. $18 for a kids burger (chips not included). $34 Chilli con carne: stale corn chips, mince with very little flavour/seasoning and a huge pile of jasmine rice on the side. If you're going to charge main course dinner prices the food needs to be better. This was mediocre and not enjoyable to eat. Ended up costing $105 for two dishes, two drinks and a kids burger. Poor value.

The food and coffee were fine however the prices shocking. See photo attached of milkshake. I bought two and they were $9.90 each! Probably the most expensive child’s milkshake I’ve encountered in Brisbane.

We came for Fathers Day brunch and even though it was super busy, the service was fantastic. Coffee and meals came out really quickly, the staff were all calm and kind, and everything was delicious! They even accommodated for us when we needed to add an extra person to our party at the last minute. We’ll definitely be back - thanks so much for the excellent service!

Little Clive Cafe, located on the southside, offers a decadent breakfast menu that keeps customers coming back for more. Their Instagram-worthy waffle specials and customizable eggs benedict are just some of the highlights. If you're craving pancakes in Brisbane after breakfast hours, Little Clive has you covered with their pancake offerings available until 2:30 pm.
Wowww most amazing place. Super fresh food with vietnamese influenced kitchen. Very healthy but have classic breakfast also.I even got fresh pressed apple juice. Beautiful place to sit with lots of plants. Very friendly service and dog friendly also

Great food and quick service. The fresh juices and strawberry matcha were great too. I would visit again. Points for improvement: The white tables outside were dirty and not maintained well. There's dried food - sauce and crumbs - in the gaps.

Love this place! They serve consistently good coffee and delicious food. Try the Vietnamese coffees and banh mi, sooo good!

The new owners at little Clive have been here for years and they’re fantastic. I used to come routinely with the old owners, and routinely eat here now. The staff are excellent, service is great. The menu is great, extremely consistent and covers typical Australian cafe taste but also delicious Vietnamese menu items. Come eat here, you will be pleased

We have been to Little Clive Cafe multiple times over the past year and have never had a problem with the staff! They are very welcoming and friendly. The food is exceptional, so delicious, with a bit of a Vietnamese twist on some of the meals I wish this cafe was all over Brisbane. Their Vietnamese coffee is absolutely delicious, as are their other coffees. We always leave this cafe feeling satisfied with the money we have spent, our stomachs are happy and we know our money is helping keep open a genuinely delicious cafe where the owner and staff clearly care about service and quality of food!

Little Clive Café is an amazing aesthetic cafe that eveyone should go to. The workers were extremely kind especially two of them I didn’t get there name but there were one was South Korea and the other was either Thailand or Philippines, with dyed hair. They were so kind and caring and working extremely hard. I liked how the menu had viet options since the owner is Vietnamese but also western and other options the pices were pretty good for the portion sizes. They were filling and came out a little slower than expected but that was fine that was probably the only problem . The matcha latte was probably one of the best ones I’ve tried in cafes/restuanrs. But it just lacked a litttle more flavour because it the viert coffe that I love was a little bit too overpowering so I would just say add more matcha powder so you can test it some more. But other than the taste it was so aesthetic I didn’t even want to drink it Bec it was so pretty and I definitely did not take a bunch of photos of that own drink . But let’s begin to talk about the food. The presentation on my Buddha bowl was just so amazing I DIDNZMT want to touch it. But why wouldn’t u not wanan touch it was neatly put together with a beautiful flower of a avocado in the middle the mushrooms were nice but lacked flavour and the source wasn’t a very good combination together but still amazing . The vegetables tasted fresh and the rice tasted nicely seasoned ajd flyffly. Now onto the scenery ,it was just so aesthetic. Loved the fake plants one of the best cafes taht were able to make a cafe and incorporate fake plans that gave nice nature vibes. Calcite seats and chairs everywhere and amazing scenery. I recommend this everyone amazing place loved it and hopefully going back soon. I rate it a 10000000000000/10 because it awww just so good keep up the good work little Clive cafe.

Such a great spot for breaky/ brunch. The food was fresh and tasty. Everything was cooked just right, especially the eggs (perfectly runny!). The vibe is really chilled and welcoming, and it’s dog-friendly which is always a bonus. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent throughout. Both the kitchen and waitstaff were lovely—even thanking us as we left, which added a personal touch. I particularly appreciated the table ordering service, which is rare to find in cafes these days. It really sets this place apart and makes it a standout experience.

Came by with our dogs after a hike at the Mt Gravatt lookout. Service was super friendly, sitting at the back of the restaurant was nicer as we were away from traffic. Staff were all very helpful and nice to the dogs. Drinks were good. Our ham and cheese croissant was just okay, could be because we came near end of service, but croissant was not crunchy and seemed almost stale. Got our dogs a meatball. They seemed to love it after their walk.

This is the second time visiting LBP with and it's an absolutely lovely breakfast spot. They put a lot of care and attention to details when it comes to their dishes. Everything is truly delicious and presented with purpose. It almost feels like every dish is a piece of art! The service is absolutely top notch; Jasper you've been an incredible waiter. Thank you for making our visit so lovely and will surely see you when we come back soon.

Exceptional service – truly some of the best I’ve experienced. The staff are welcoming and attentive, creating a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere. It’s clearly a favourite among locals, families, and workers, which speaks volumes about its reputation. Both the food and drink were enjoyable, making it a standout cafe worth visiting.

What a wonderful little brunch spot! We were excited as soon as we saw the menu—it offered some really unique dishes, and they did not disappoint. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the service was spot on. The place was clearly popular, so I’d recommend booking in advance. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

We really liked the quiet area at the back of the cafe outside as well as the quiet environment in general even though the cafe was proving popular! My elderly dog was relaxed which made it a pleasant lunch time for us both. The food is superb, not the normal cafe menu. Instead it is carefully crafted and beautifully presented. Lots of choice for those with dietary needs. Lovely owners with great customer service . We highly recommend this great little safe .

A lovely dog-friendly café that provides doggy drink and treat. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. This cheerful cafe is the perfect place to brighten up your day. The delicious smell of barista-made coffee and the pastel pink coffee machine will have you drooling, while the breakfast menu will leave you spoilt for choice with mouth-watering dishes such as pork belly benedict and mushroom ragu breakfast gnocchi.
Atmopshere was warm and welcoming. Beautiful food and lots of breakfast options. What I was impressed with the real chocolate served on top of the coffee. It slowly melted into the coffee and brought out the coffees mouthwatering flavour. That is what I would come back for again and again. Overall, I loved this cafe, and I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a scrumptious breakfast.

Drove from Ipswich just to come here for brunch. Had the breakfast gnocchi and flat white, gnocchi was delicious 😋 just got thru it cos of the richness but whoever came up with that dish is a genius. What can I say! Sister Cafe is above and beyond the best cafe in Brisbane. It's got such a warm and inviting atmosphere, the coffee is always on point, and the food is consistently to a high standard. But what really makes this place special is the staff! The ladies working out front are so attentive and kind, anticipating your needs before you’ve even asked! They deserve the highest praise! 🤍 Trâm, often situated behind the coffee bar, truly goes above and beyond to make every customer feel valued, engaging with them at every possible opportunity. Her positive attitude and genuine kindness are contagious, and she always brightens your day with her genuine interest and care. If you're looking for a fantastic cafe experience with exceptional service, look no further than Sister Cafe! 🤍

Let Minnow Cafe is a charming fish-themed cafe located in an ex-aquarium, offering a delightful blend of indoor and outdoor dining. The menu features a variety of updated global comfort food and specialty coffee, including sautéed truffle mushrooms, wagyu cheeseburgers, and crab linguine. We had such a wonderful Father’s Day brunch here today! Even though the café was really busy, the staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate us with an extra seat. The service was also incredibly child-friendly. Our five-year-old was kept happy with colouring paper, and to top it off, they even gifted him a Crocs giblet to take home, such a thoughtful touch that really stood out. The coffee was absolutely delicious smooth, rich, and beautifully made. Our meals were perfect too. The brekky burger was hearty and cooked just right, while the sweetcorn fritters were full of flavour and paired so well with the fresh salad. Everything came out quickly despite the crowd, and the quality really stood out. It was the perfect spot to celebrate a special day, and we’ll definitely be back again soon!

*Edit - Jules, the owner, has been very compensating and apologetic. Upgraded to a 3 star. Will review again if we return. In today for our Mothers Day breakfast, expecting it to be busy but not expecting the service we received. We requested a booking a week ago and was given the 9:45 time slot. This time didn't work for our 12 person group, so we decided not to proceed. We were then offered 9:15, which worked, so this time was booked in. We were then charged $180 deposit to hold the table.. Our whole group arrived at 9:10. We waited outside in light rain, slowly making our way closer to the door. In total, we waited 45 minutes to be seated from our 9:15 booking time. Once we were waiting inside, we were informed that they didn't have a table for us and had overbooked, but they were trying to sort something out... Someone from our group let Micole know that we needed to leave by 10:30. Micole rudely responded, "I don't have time for you right now!" Eventually, we were seated at 10 am. (9:15 booking). The table was at the very end of the shops awning, and they added a small kids like table to the end of it. We had 5 people sitting at a table that you would expect to see 2 people sitting at. 6 of our group, including two children under 5, were sitting in the rain. We used all of the tables napkins to dry our seats and tables before the food had arrived. We ordered 12 meals and 11 drinks totalling $369.68. Our meals arrived between 10:20 &10:30 but still no drinks. 1x eggs Benedict came out missing all the garnish and spinach. This might seem like no big deal, but you eat with your eyes It looked extremely boring and lacking colour with nothing to cleanse the palate. This meal was credited to us with no pushback, so credit there. When we asked about our drinks, it seemed as if they had been forgotten. We then requested that they be put in takeaway cups. The minute the drinks were received, we were told they needed our table and asked us to leave. We had been seated for exactly 1 hour. As we were already behind schedule, we left without fuss but did mention that our drinks had only just been delivered. We were then told there was an issue with the machine causing the delay. However, the kids' orange juice and milkshake were the last to be received. The milkshake was also warm as if the milk was left on the bench for an hour. The kids' pancake meal is not pancake(s) it was 1 very thin, almost crepe thin pancake. It also says mixed berries. They came with 2 strawberries. I have never been pushed off a table so quickly in my life. This experience felt extremely unwelcoming. Overall, the food was ok, not blown away, especially for the price. We paid a premium price just to be left standing there like idiots  for 45 minutes and had to sit and eat in the rain. The wait staff we great and did their best. Micole was unnecessary rude to my sister-in-law. This, to me, felt like a classic case of making as much money as you can at the expense of the customers. The cafe had far too many extra tables out. If I were a pedestrian trying to walk on the footpath, I would have been very annoyed. We would not return.

This is a little gem we discovered on the weekend. We were off to the airport but wanted to stop at a cafe nearby to while away about an hour before we needed to be at departures. This was 10 minutes away and in a quiet suburban street that feels very much removed from the hustle and bustle. Inside looked like it was doing a brisk trade so we opted to sit out front at one of the large timber tables that appear to be custom-made. I had the Turkish eggs and a turmeric latte. I have never heard of Turkish eggs and they did not disappoint! Interesting, flavoursome, melt-in-your-mouth dish! The toasted Turkish bread that came with it was the best I've had! Light, but with just the right amount of crunch, giving way to the softness you get with freshly made bread. I intended to finish with a sweet treat, but I was too full. The interior is warm and welcoming with personalised touches that make you want to stay. There are two toilets with baby change facilities and both wheelchair wheelchair-friendly. The hand soap was pretty boujee and smelled divine. As you step out of the loo, you step into the "Aquarium". A collection of children's coloured in fish proudly displayed the length of the hallway. As I lined up to pay a lady approached me and asked how I liked everything. I told her I really enjoyed everything, from the great staff who were attentive, prompt and very nice. I mentioned the meals available for sale and she introduced herself as "Jules". She owns this little establishment and it just made sense how everything came together once I met her. If you're on your way to the airport and really can't stand the idea of waiting at one of the fast food joints where everyone is noisy and stressed, consider stopping here. The food, service, atmosphere and convenience are a win any way you look at it. If you're already aware of these great little place "let minnow" your thoughts.

A lovely cafe. Staff were friendly. A nice menu. I tried the Falafel Salad and it was delicious. My friend had poached eggs and they were cooked perfectly. Only negative point is the alternative milk is $1.20 whereas it is normally 50c. My coffee was $7.20 and I had 2. I won’t return for this reason alone. Plenty of other nice cafes where alternative milk is only 50c extra.

Visited recently with a few friends. The cafe’s atmosphere is casual and pretty relaxed. Pretty good for a catch-up. Coffee tasted fresh and was well made, though not outstanding. The menu had a decent variety, but some items were a bit overpriced for the portion size. I ordered a breakfast dish that was fine but lacked seasoning. Service was prompt, and staff were friendly but not overly chatty. The place isn’t huge, so it can get busy, but seating was comfortable enough. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you want a simple coffee.

Farmhouse, Kedron Cafe offers a countryside escape in the heart of the city. The cafe is committed to supporting local and regional farmers by serving a produce-driven menu crafted by skilled chefs. With various atmospheric spaces, including an external veranda, country hall, forgotten laneway, main room, and old gelateria with a chandelier, Farmhouse provides a unique dining experience.
Absolutely delicious food. Everything we ordered was amazing! I recommend making a booking, as it tends to get quite busy, especially during peak hours. Parking is limited on-site, but there’s usually street parking available nearby. The venue is pet-friendly, and we saw lots of adorable dogs around, which added to the charm. You simply scan the menu and pay on your phone. Super easy and convenient.

It’s so refreshing to find a venue that ticks all the boxes. From the moment I arrived through the entire experience. The friendliness of the staff when they greet you immediately makes you feel welcome and comfortable. The drinks and meals came out in a timely fashion but the best part I will leave for last. The quality and freshness of the food was incredible. Stunning variations on classic breakfasts like the avo on toast, pictured here. And an incredible gnocchi that kicks with flavour. What else can I say? My first time here but definitely not my last. Highly recommended.

Farmhouse is a really lovely place. We came here several times during our holidays, and it quickly became our favourite spot for breakfast and lunch. The food is always excellent - fresh, local produce, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. They also serve the best cappuccino! The team is fantastic - skilled, attentive and really kind. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality, and you can really taste the care that goes into every dish. My sister recommended this spot, and, we can only recommend it to others now! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Australia.

Absolutely love this eco-friendly spot at the entrance of a residential area! 🌿 The food here is wholesome yet incredibly delicious—perfect for health-conscious diners! I highly recommend trying their Blueberry Iced Latte! it’s refreshing and perfectly balanced with natural sweetness. It can get quite busy, so making a reservation ahead of time is a good idea. And The lot has limited spaces, so be prepared for potential street parking nearby. Overall, a lovely place to enjoy nature-inspired meals and cozy vibes! 🥂

Like with any popular spot, if you show up without a reservation, you might have to wait a little—but they’ve made the wait super comfortable with a shaded area and coolers full of cold drinks! I really appreciated how thoughtful that was—such a nice touch. That said, I definitely recommend booking ahead! The food was absolutely delicious—so fresh, so flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every ingredient tasted amazing. Easily a 10 out of 10! (Ps loved the coffee too !!)

Excellent food. The potato cake is a winner... different to a normal breakfast and tasty. Best of all they actually cook the bacon.... so many cafes just wave the bacon over a flame and its all pink and undercooked.... Coffee is merlo, they do it justice. Full flavoured and no bitterness. Beautiful decor. Take the time to book in when you can.

Chapter IV is a popular breakfast and brunch spot located in an old Queenslander with a verandah that offers stunning views of the city. The restaurant serves up epic twists on classic breakfast dishes, such as French toast, fritters, waffles, hash cakes, and eggs benedict. Additionally, they offer a healthy green buddha bowl for those looking for something lighter.
Came with my bf and MIL visiting from Korea craving Asian food and this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere felt very relaxing, fresh, and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious. We left no crumbs (or sauce). The poor insects didn’t even have a chance at getting a taste. Heh heh I would strongly recommend the Gai Yang and sticky rice (chicken skewers). The fish sauce on the side was the best I’ve had in Australia. The chicken was also very tender and juicy, perfectly charred on the outside adding a nice smoky flavor. We also had the rice porridge which my MIL loved, a perfect meal to satisfy her craving. The one pan eggs was also very flavorful and had a great balance of textures with the bread and eggs made runny but not undercooked, just right in my opinion. Could not have been more pleased with the experience!

I recently visited Chapter VI in Paddington with my boyfriend on a public holiday. The place was quite busy, so we had to wait a while for both seating and food. We tried their Thai breakfast, which included pan eggs, chicken skewers with rice, and Patongo with sweet kaya. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. It wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t as flavorful or memorable as we had hoped. The bread in the pan eggs was a bit sticky, and the rice was soggy. That said, the overall atmosphere was lovely. The decor is well thought-out, making it a nice spot to relax and enjoy a leisurely morning. There’s also a kids’ zone for families, which is a great touch. I especially liked the outdoor seating area, but unfortunately it was full during our visit.

I had a really enjoyable experience overall! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was vibrant with an amazing city view. The location is super convenient—right near public transport—which made getting there a breeze. One of the highlights was the creative “paint your own cake” concept. It was such a fun and unique activity! They provided various tools and colorful icing, making it a great interactive experience. That said, the actual taste of the cake was a letdown. The sponge didn’t taste freshly baked, and the frosting had an odd aftertaste. However, the strawberry cream filling was delicious and helped redeem it a little. Despite the disappointing cake flavor, it’s definitely an aesthetic spot—perfect for photos, a fun outing, and enjoying the view. Would return for the ambiance and experience, but not necessarily for the dessert

If you're looking for an out-of-the-ordinary brunch spot, Blockhouse Coffee is the place to go. With creative menus that will have you craving more, this cafe offers plenty of sustenance to start your day off right. From lamb and waffles to avocado toast with popcorn chicken, there's something for everyone at this amazing spot.
The place has table options in the dining room and the outside area. I had a great experience. The dishes we ordered were delicious, well presented, refined and flavorful. The staff is friendly. The coffee (mocha and espresso) was tasty, as were the tumeric latte and hot chocolate, which were also very good. I hope to return to try more options. I highly recommend the banana bread, the popcorn chicken, and the rash cakes. The portion sizes are not large, if compared to breakfast dishes at similar establishments, and the price is a little above the range.

The atmosphere was lovely — it was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday, which made for a really relaxing experience. The drinks were fantastic, and you can really tell that most of the food is made in-house, which we really appreciated. While there was a generous mix of elements on the plate, the flavours didn’t quite come together for us — it felt a little mismatched. I ordered the lamb, which was a bit too oily and tough for my liking, so I ended up leaving some behind. I probably wouldn’t choose that dish again. My partner’s meal was enjoyable, though not particularly memorable. That said, it was still refreshing to eat real, freshly made food — a big step up from the frozen or pre-made options you find at many other cafes. Hopefully it was just our two dishes that didn’t quite hit the mark, as other diners around us seemed to really enjoy their meals. We’d definitely be open to returning and trying something different next time.

I love this place! It’s brilliant for breakfast, offers amazing snacks and drinks for the afternoon as well as a beautiful dinner menu on the weekends. The menu is thoughtful and the food is delicious, it’s obviously all made in house with quality produce. The wine and beer list is perfect and while I haven’t tried the cocktails, they are on my list. The venue is beautiful and it’s the perfect place to enjoy a coffee in the morning, or a drink in the afternoon and watch the world go by. I feel lucky we have something like this in the area.

Have been a few times for brunch or to get takeaway coffee - the service is always good, staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The menu is on the smaller side but everything we have eaten has been nice - the hash cakes and katsu were good. Their coffee is very good, both cold and hot drinks. The price is on the higher side and the take away coffee sizes run small, a large hot takeaway is only 12oz.

First time visit this morning and what can I say but very impressed. Tian was an incredible young man with the most impeccable manners and wonderful service which these days can be hard to find. Even though my friend and I just had coffee, it was delicious. Can't wait to come back for a meal.

Joedy's Cafe is a great place to come for brunch. The food quality is good and It wasn't a disappointment coming here. We went on Christmas day for brunch. The Cafe was busy with most tables full. We were lucky to have a table available. The food and drinks option available were plentiful. We were quite full by the end of he meal, we had the wagyu burger and the burito bowl. I personally had the pasta of the week, which was a great portion and filled me. I did wish that the dish was more flavourful, the other dishes were pretty good as well, and we all enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere at the restaurant was alright. Quite hot with a small covered area outside. The restaurant itself is not big and since it is summer, there was quite some fly buzzing around. Can't do anything about that, but just letting you know. Overall, good experience and would come back for brunch or early breakfast another day.

The lady who showed us to our table was incredibly kind, and her warm smile really brightened our day! The toast was absolutely delicious, and while the banana drink’s texture wasn’t quite to our taste, it was still enjoyable. The person at the counter looked a bit tired, but the overall atmosphere was nice, and thanks to the first staff member who welcomed us, we had a pleasant dining experience.

Fantastic! The lovely staff were warm, friendly, genuine and very attentive to our table, makimg us all feel valued as new customers. The food was just as phenomenal as the service - and blew us away, everyone in our group LOVED everything they ordered and the coffees were all made to perfection too. Our first time visiting today and we can’t wait to come back! 5/5 👌☺️

I came here because of the good Google reviews. However, after visiting, I found the service to be average. I ordered the Croissant Eggs Benedict, and it tasted terrible. I haven’t had such a disappointing croissant in a long time. The coffee was good, but the food definitely needs improvement. The dishes looked beautiful, but the taste was horrible. The croissant tasted like it had been left out for a day. I understand that there are mosquitoes in summer, but having them flying around while eating was also an unpleasant experience. After this experience, I personally wouldn’t come back.

King Arthur Cafe, located in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, is a trendy spot known for its creative cafe meals and espresso. The cafe focuses on using local, organic, and sustainable produce to create a menu that changes with the seasons. The refurbished warehouse setting adds to the charm of this two-story cafe housed in a World War II army hangar.
I cannot recommend King Arthur Cafe enough — it’s an absolute gem tucked away with the perfect mix of charm, flavor, and friendliness! From the moment we walked in, my black lab puppy (appropriately named Arthur) was treated like royalty. The staff were so welcoming, bringing him a fresh bowl of water and showering him with attention — he was in heaven! The outdoor seating is dog-friendly and full of good vibes — Arthur and I both made a few new friends while I relaxed and soaked in the morning sun. It’s clear the team at King Arthur Cafe cares about community, quality, and creating a warm, welcoming space for everyone (two-legged and four-legged guests alike). Arthur gives it two enthusiastic tail wags, and I’ll definitely be back for more. This place is a real treasure!

Busy and popular place for Sunday breakfast. They have tables upstairs, downstairs, and outside. Food comes out fast. I wasn't a fan of the coffee. I couldn't tell if it was too strong or bitter, but I didn't finish it. It was just not nice. The food is good, with a lot of flavour. Interesting options here on the flavours they use and what they offer for breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Cute and funky little cafe just around the corner from James street. I love how it was quiet but the personality of the place speaks volumes through the great customer service and interior design. The hot chocolate I ordered was perfect and I could sit here for hours as it had the most welcoming and relaxing vibe. I didn’t order any food this time around but will 100% be back to try it as the cafe smelt amazing due to the food being served.

My colleague and I are the worst kind of Melbourne coffee snobs. Kidding of course, but we do love coffee and find it difficult to get a great one while in Brisbane, well, not any more! The coffee here may just be the best I’ve had. Not just in Brisbane, but anywhere. I now know that I’ll be booking a hotel nearby for my next business trip to Brisbane just so I can get my morning coffee here. The place itself is super cool too. Can’t wait to go back and try the food.

Yum. Yum. Yum. The Green Bowl is one of the best in Brisbane — highly recommend. My friend enjoyed their burrito. Our coffees were nice; the long black was a little bitter and weak for my liking. The young waitress was cute. She was attentive and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and will be back.

Came back to try the Autumn menu and it did not disappoint. The nuts 4 U hotcake was more moist this time with nice textures and flavours and it wasn't as sweet as the previous chocolate hotcake that I had. The fish burger was good too, I think the fish could have been fried or baked for longer as it wasn't so crunchy by the time we ate it. The first time we came here we tried the mushroom plate, it was lovely, nice mix of enoki and shitake mushrooms with 2 pouched eggs with some creamy sauce. The hot cake was nice and fresh. It was maybe a little dry but once you add the strawberry sauce it balances it out. The service was friendly and welcoming.

Nice little cafe restaurant with brunch food items and coffees and drinks. The service is very welcoming and friendly and prompt. The coffees are great, and well made and delicious. The food is delicious ! So fresh and flavourful. Every dish looks like a masterpiece artwork, even if you get it in a takeaway box. Attention to detail is on point. Inside the cafe, it is very very very loud. Voices and sounds bounce around the restaurant to the point where it's almost deafening. This made it very uncomfortable to sit inside because it was so loud. There are many vegan options to choose from and the Shrooms on toast dish was AMAZING. I really enjoyed it. The prices are very expensive for the size of food you get. It is not generous at all. Overall a great experience with only a couple of downsides that don't really detract from the experience too much. I probably won't come back again only because it was so expensive. But you should definitely try this place out!

Five of us had brunch here and every dish was well presented and tasted great. They have a good selection of vegetarian breakfast options. Coffee was also well made, but not the full body, bold type of beans which I prefer. Their customer service was also top notch. When I pointed out that one of the plates was forgotten about, they immediately apologised, quickly got it out for us and then refunded it as well. Can't ask for more than that.

Have been to this cafe when it first opened & it was great then as it still is. Don't know if the owners have changed but they are consistent with quality. Coffee is excellent with good robust flavour. Food is healthy & has a modern twist using fresh ingredients. Chilli eggs packed all the subtle flavours with a good chilli hit served on sourdough. Pet friendly outside seating

One of the good spot for brunch in New Farm, Brisbane @missjones.cafe. I went back to try their new menu and it quit tasty for me. TBH I want to try The nuts 4 U hotcakes but it was sold out that day. A bit disappointed but I got to try El Capitan (Fish burger) it was big portion and nice. And other dish is Benny boy with Salmon and their garlic chive hollandaise is perfect.

For a healthy, light and refreshing start to the morning, look no further than Miss Jones’ colourful Acai Bowl, jam packed full of Acai Flow, dragon fruit, strawberries and oats and topped with a scoop of vegan coconut gelato, supplied by Allora Black, a Brisbane-based small business. Otherwise, you can’t go wrong with the simple, but delicious Bacon and Egg roll with tomato relish and cheese. We could not visit without trying the café’s latest waffle-based creation, which changes every few months when a new menu is launched. Currently on its menu is Banoffee Waffles, comprising of caramelised banana, meringue, butterscotch sauce, a gingerbread crumb, and coffee gelato. Not overly sweet, well sized, and pretty as a picture too, we would definitely recommend this dish!

Harveys Bar and Bistro is a trendy and sophisticated restaurant situated in the vibrant James Street precinct of Fortitude Valley. The bistro offers a modern Australian menu with classic dishes that have been given a contemporary twist. The chic decor, attentive staff, and inviting indoor and outdoor dining areas make for an elegant dining experience.
I’ve been to this place several times. This time I tried the spiced mince in tortilla with love beets as brunch. It was really nice and delicious. We had our birthday cake to celebrate my wife’s birthday. With $7.5 per person they cut snd served the cakes. The surprising part was that they added ice cream and some berries to each plate. That made the cake experience even more pleasant.
Amir B — Google review
Disappointed today overall with the breakfast experience. Let me start by saying the service was lovely, both staff we interacted with were friendly and efficient. And my husband's meal was replaced at no charge for something else when it came out and we realised it was lamb, which he can't eat (not detailed in the menu). The food though was a real disappointment for me. I had the potato and feta rosti with scrambled egg (instead of poached, and egg as in, it's just one egg) and I added prosciutto. The serving size was woefully small, and to my surprise it didn't even come with toast. There's no effort to make it present any nicer than if you had cooked at home, and the corn relish was just blobbed on the plate. A few plain spinach leaves as garnish, which let's be honest, plain spinach leaves are nothing special - they should've been wilted and seasoned, but then that would mean they have to give you more than five individual leaves, right? Knowing I would still be hungry when I saw my food, I ordered a side of toast. Out comes ONE single, thingly cut piece of toasted sourdough. Who in their right mind wants to still be hungry after paying to dine out for breakfast? Do better.

We were looking for a venue to host a private function in the valley. We noticed they had a prviate function space so decided to have dinner and try the food. The food was really good so we booked the garden room for 16 guests. Although I found communication leading up to the date could be improved, the evening itself was faultless. This was evident by the compliments about the food, staff and atmosphere from all the guests who attended . The wait staff who serviced our evening was exceptionally good. She was attentitive but unintrusive. Would I come here again? Yes.

We dined at 12:00 on a Wednesdays and elected to sit outside. It was very pleasant, even thought he day was 30 degrees. There were a few tables outside, with a few inside also. Inside looked to be comfortable and formal; outside was comfortable and a bit more relaxed. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The menu was broad and tempting, pleasing the vegetarian and the carnivores amongst us. The drinks list was comprehensive, with a nice balance of wine, spirits and beers, with plenty of non-alcoholic options as well. The drink arrived very quickly and the food arrived at about the time that I expected. The serving sizes were satisfying and the food was delicious, with attention to detail obvious in each dish. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive. The pricing was what I exited to pay in this location - on the high end of the scale, but not outrageously so.

Had breakfast which is a good option if you don’t want to pay the big money charged at Calile. Just walk across road and go here. The fried eggs were ok. It not that great. The tea is expensive for what it is. The extras like bacon are quite expensive as well. Not much butter to put on your toast. It was busy so I suspect the coffee is good.

Lunch here today. Live in Sydney and am in Brisbane for a couple of days for some meetings and social catch-ups. Wow. Impressive place this, feels so “Queensland” - big, bright, open and airy. High ceilings, pavilion style, tropical. I had the barramundi and my friend had the lamb shoulder. Staff were attentive and upbeat without being intrusive. Both meals were A+++ and really good value too. For me, this is quintessential Brisbane: Fresh, friendly, casual and tasty.

The staff were very kind and talkative which made the restaurant feel more cozy. They were very efficient and the food came out in a considerably fast time. Their cappuccino was also very frothy and delicious!! ☕️

Putia Pure Food Kitchen is a standout in Brisbane's suburban cafe scene, drawing visitors to northside Banyo with its chic ambiance, friendly staff, and exceptional food. Chef Dominique Rizzo's culinary expertise shines through in dishes like the vegan crumpet topped with vibrant vegetables and smoked cashew cheese, chocolate-studded baked doughnuts served with vanilla gelato and chocolate espresso sauce, and the flavorful three-egg Italian omelette.
Putia Pure Food Kitchen is a cafe jewel in Banyo. My wife and I took two friends for breakfast today, and the food, coffee, and table service were excellent. The bacon & egg roll with polenta bites was delicious, as were the scrambled eggs with goat cheese and mushrooms. It is busy and for good reason, so get down there early if you decide to go. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food and service. We will be back.

I absolutely love this place! Delicious food and the best coffee served in a warm, cozy atmosphere 💖 Every dish is presented in a way that shows the love and attention put into its creation. Service is amazing and it feels like they have tried to think of everything. Beef bourguignon, lemon tart, and matcha affogato are my favourites so far. Looking forward to trying many more of their tasty looking menu options soon! Edit: Fully accessible via ramp at side entry, front entry has three stairs with a really solid vertical rail. Also tables out front make Putia a great choice for people looking for dog friendly cafes.

The only reason I've given Putia Pure Food Kitchen a 5 stars, is because I am unable to give it anymore. This establishment may genuinely be one of the best in Brisbane when it comes down to flavour, atmosphere and service. I've been here 3 times and each time I was blessed with some of the most delicious meals I've ever had in my entire life, greeted with service that rivals high-end restaurants far above the price they ask for. All 3 times I've been here their quality has remained consistent, and their special menu also rotates frequently enough to keep me excited to see what's new. I will certainly be coming back many times more. If you are looking for a place to not only eat, but have an experience worth sharing with others, there is no better way to start your day than by coming to here, even if it's just for a glass of orange juice (it's that good). Photos are of their Duck Ragu and Tuna Steak special

Loving the new owners and the care and attention they have put into Putia. Went for lunch with my elderly mother and we both absolutely loved the food. We shared the slow cooked chicken with potato and truffle which was outstanding! I haven’t had a Caesar salad for years due to being disappointed but Putia does the name justice with a tasty home made dressing, tasty homemade croutons and lots of crispy bacon and real Parmesan. Well done Putia Team. The service from Deb is always outstanding, one of the best service staff I have ever come across. Massimo in the kitchen with owner Marty create purely delicious food in a family friendly atmosphere. A must to try or go back to if it’s been a while since your last visit.

We absolutely love Putia! I’ve been coming here for 7 years now and they consistently deliver great food, great coffee and exceptional service. We especially love seeing Debbie’s smiling face when we come in. The new owners have recently taken over and they’re doing a really fantastic job of revitalizing the business and freshening up the menu while still keeping all the soul of the place (and then some!). Love the addition of a ‘small plates’ section on the new summer menu (especially the garlic mushrooms) and the new cocktail menu.

Thanitt P — Google review
As a visitor from out of town, I was eager to explore local cafés and immerse myself in the community's coffee culture. Unfortunately, my visit to Anouk Cafe was marked by a series of service-related disappointments that left me questioning the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction. Upon first passing by, I took a moment to peruse the menu displayed outside. A staff member approached and inquired if I was okay. I mentioned I was reviewing the menu, to which she acknowledged and walked away. Returning shortly thereafter, I entered the café and seated myself, anticipating a warm welcome. Regrettably, I was overlooked as staff members passed by without any acknowledgment. It was only after a nearby group kindly alerted a staff member to my presence that I was informed the café had closed. This was contrary to my earlier interaction, where no such indication was given. When I expressed my confusion, the staff member suggested I must have misunderstood. Seeking at least a modest gesture of hospitality, I requested a cold water. She promptly brought it to me but did not engage further. In a final act of professionalism, the staff directed other patrons to nearby establishments still open for coffee. This experience was disheartening, especially as a visitor unfamiliar with the area. It highlighted a lapse in communication and customer service that overshadowed any potential merits the café might have had. I hope this feedback serves as constructive insight for Anouk Cafe to enhance their customer service protocols and ensure that future patrons, regardless of their familiarity with the area, feel welcomed and valued.

Great place! Had to wait a bit long for the food though despite early morning with very few guests. Both dishes were very tasty. Garlic Prawn & Scallop Linguini was a bit mild but very pleasant taste overall. The cherry tomatoes were excellent, super juicy and was bursting in my mouth. The other dish was Shakshuka. First time trying it but was really impressed with the flavour from the spices used. However we wish the flatbread was grilled a bit more thorough.

Cafe O-Mai, located in Annerley, offers a bright and vibrant space where visitors can enjoy a variety of Vietnamese dishes such as pho and banh mi, alongside muffins, cakes, and coffee. The menu features simple and home-style Vietnamese comfort food with subtle Western influences. Diners can choose from Vietnamese-inspired cafe classics or traditional dishes like vermicelli salads and marinated charcoal grilled chicken.
Extended family celebration and thankfully we booked and ordered ahead of time as they were really busy. Food was good. Not really my kind of thing as it was breakfast menu. Family all thought it was great. Parking isnt too bad as there were spaces in local streets and shops.

The service was nice (went on a busy Sunday for lunch) but the food felt overhyped- or maybe I went in with big expectations due to the reviews… The drinks were the standout I think. We ordered an iced coffee and an iced tea which were great! The food was all super fresh and oil free which was wonderful, however, the vermicelli salad lacked any flavour (barely any sauce or seasoning) and the spring rolls had zero taste- maybe missing some kind of garlicky chive onion?? The papaya salad was alright- slightly sweeter but lacked tang. Could’ve used some citrus perhaps? The rice paper rolls were okay- again, pretty standard- weren’t super packed but not the worst rolls I’ve ever had. Bahn mi had a pork crackling filling and wasn’t super authentic tasting. Overall would I return? No, I dont think so- but it was good to give it a go!

Had a lovely breakfast with my my this morning. We both had the clay pot and they were delicious. My mum mentioned her hot chocolate needed a tiny bit more chocolate, but my chocolate milkshake was quite nice
Millie S — Google review
O-mai has long established itself as a standout spot for Vietnamese cuisine in the area, and it’s easy to see why. While many Vietnamese eateries stick to the classics like Pho and bánh mì, O-mai goes a step further by offering a wider, more creative menu that invites diners to explore beyond the usual. The variety is refreshing and shows a deep understanding of both traditional and modern Vietnamese flavours. The overall operation feels smooth and considered. The overall experience is polished. Their takeaway packaging is one of the best around secure, neat and thoughtfully presented, which adds a premium touch. That said, the price point is noticeably doubled in comparison to your average Vietnamese café. While the quality and presentation do help justify the cost, it may not be a regular option for everyone. It’s more of a treat than an everyday stop. Still, for those happy to pay a bit more for a refined, well-run Vietnamese food experience, O-mai delivers. It’s clear they take pride in doing things properly, from the food to the service and it shows.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe O Mai, and I was thoroughly impressed with the authentic Vietnamese cuisine they offer. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel like I was in the heart of Vietnam. The food was truly exceptional, with each dish showcasing the rich flavors and spices that Vietnamese cuisine is known for. I ordered the Pho and the Banh Mi, both of which were delicious and authentic. The Pho was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of spices and herbs. The Banh Mi was crispy and fresh, with a generous helping of pickled vegetables and grilled pork. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail and care that the staff put into preparing each dish. It's clear that they take pride in their food and are passionate about sharing Vietnamese culture with their customers. Overall, I would highly recommend Cafe O Mai to anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese food. While there may be a few minor areas for improvement, the food and service were top-notch. I'd give it 4 stars out of 5 – it's a great spot for a delicious and authentic Vietnamese meal. Rating: 4/5 stars Price: Moderate Recommended for: Vietnamese food lovers, those looking for authentic cuisine Will I return? Absolutely!"

I'm thrilled to share our repeated fantastic experiences at Cafe O-mai. Each visit, our brunch has been a scrumptious delight! The staff's swift service consistently leave a positive impression. The prompt arrival of both food and drinks, coupled with the hearty portions, never cease to impress us. Our choices, including the Vietnamese iced coffee and whole coconut, exceeded expectations. The crackling pork's tender texture and delectable crackling were standouts. The omelette bahn mi with chili provided a perfect balance of flavors, and we couldn't get enough of the chicken pho and rice noodle salad bowl with grilled lemongrass pork. However, it's worth noting that the cafe can get quite busy, leading to occasional noise levels. To fully relish your experience, we recommend booking ahead, especially during peak hours. Despite this, our enthusiasm remains undeterred, as we eagerly await our next visit. Without a doubt, we wholeheartedly recommend Cafe O-mai for an exceptional dining venture that consistently hits the mark!

Food here used to be great but I returned recently and got the Vietnamese curry which I haven’t tried. It was horrible. The spices were not blended properly and the curry was so oily and diluted. The rice was dry too. Very disappointed. It was inedible. I didn’t even finish the meal. What a waste of $20!!! Don’t get the curry!

Coffee Anthology is an upscale cafe located in a stunning 1890s heritage-listed building in Midtown Centre. The industrial-chic space with exposed-brick walls offers a sophisticated setting for brunch and coffee dates. True to its name, the cafe features a rotating selection of high-end coffee from top roasters around the world, including single-origin and blends from places like Taiwan, Rotterdam, and Brisbane.
Before we start our day we need a food to fill up our stomach for a big day in Brisbane. Starts at Coffee Anthology for this wonderful breakfast that we indulge in. Perfect coffee! Best breakfast. Plus the patisserie was absolutely delicious. Note: You should book your table ahead of time.

It’s a great spot to start your day — you can’t go wrong with their coffee or matcha (a must-try for matcha lovers). The breakfast menu is fantastic and always evolving, so there’s no chance of it feeling repetitive. That said, the table service could use some improvement. We had pre-booked, but it seemed there was a lack of communication: we were first seated at the bar, then moved again about five minutes later to a proper table. Understandably, things can get overwhelming during busy periods, but a smoother process would really lift the dining experience.

The salmon Benedict was so yummy!! Didn’t expect it come with a croissant base and it was so delicious to me as a croissant lover ❤️ Coffee maybe just soso, would say just a average one Finished my brunch a bit late so not many choices left for the pastry, the one I had was ok, will come back later to try more fresh ones. Atmosphere definitely quite good so does the location however the service was not meet my expectations maybe because the store is too busy Overall 7.5/10 given the location and quality of the food

Rated one of the best coffee shops in the world, right here in Brisbane. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with the experience. The staff were also very busy but still made the time to be nice to everyone. Thank you. The coffee and drinks were very nice as well. The drinks were smooth to drink and was well blended. The flavour was averaged out nicely when drinking. The drinks were also not hot, just the right temperature to drink. Nothing was overwhelming, too bitter or too sweet. It was an excellent experience. The only thing I could think of improving was the chai latte's depth of flavour. It just needed a little more of a kick and a bit more of the natural flavours to come out. But again they were very busy, I'll come back and try it when it's not as busy and see how it goes. It'll also give me a good chance to just sit and enjoy the beautiful building and atmosphere in the space.

Great quality food and awesome coffee, especially their pour over Geisha coffees. Booking is a must as walk in may need to wait for table to become available. Good menu options from the kitchen and pastries from Whisk never disappoints. The front of house staff may get a bit busy and be a little impatient as a request for washroom key was met with a silent finger point to a hook on island counter. Otherwise an excellent dining experience and ambience as always.
Richard T — Google review
The food was amazing! I had prawn and pork omelette and my friend had bacon egg benedict. My omelette was really delicious with generous portion. Coffee was incredible as well. I had an iced long black which made my day!! Unfortunately we were too full for their bakery. They look so good!!
Piyanath Y — Google review
It is stylish and well-known and ranked the 8th coffee shop on The World's 100 Best Coffee Shops 2025 list! But feels slightly overrated. That said, the coffee is genuinely good, with smooth flavour and solid execution. The space is modern and inviting, though the hype sets high expectations.
Amanda O — Google review
Definitely overhyped and overrated. I thought it was meant to be one of the top coffee places yet it does not serve dairy free milk (very unusual for an Aussie coffee place). And pastries ran out after we placed an order so had to switch. However later on we saw more being made and available for purchase when we were half way through our meal (if only they gave an option to wait, we could have tried the pasty that we really wanted and not settled on something else). Pretty lacking service and you can tell they're short on staff. Did not see some of the items that were showcased online as well. Disappointing experience probably won't return.

The establishment offers an eclectic menu featuring locally sourced ingredients, catering to all-day dining with a focus on sustainability and conscious consumption. Known for its all-day brunch menu, the cafe prides itself on creating food from scratch and also serves Australian natural wines, craft beers, and spirits.
I really liked the atmosphere of the café, though it was a bit dark — and this was even in the morning. Personally, I didn’t enjoy the food much, the taste just wasn’t to my liking. However, when my friends and I visited, we had a lot of luggage with us, and the staff were kind enough to help us move and find a place to store everything. It’s a nice spot to chill, have some coffee, and catch up with a small group of friends. The place was quite busy and space is limited, but it’s located right in the heart of Brisbane city.

Favourite brunch spot in the city!!💘 The falafel bowl, the coffee and the green smoothie are my go to order. The vibe is amazing, a great place to catch up with your friends or even to study. Though the place is quite small and secluded, the waiting line doesn’t take too long. Would recommend going outside of peak breakfast hours if you want a more quiet atmosphere ☀️

Nice trendy cafe with good quality produce and good portion sizes. Everything was tasty, but nothing blew us away. A little bit disappointing considering the price point - our eggs were overcooked and the coffee was not amazing. At less dear of a price it would have been a more enjoyable experience ! But still a treat
Ciara G — Google review
I came here last year for the first time, struck me as quite a good cafe experience so I returned with some knowledge of the quality I remembered. Reading some of the reviews others have posted, particularly about the omelette dish I can report they have adjusted their menu very well. Delicious. Initially I thought the egg was a little under seasoned but less becomes more with the tasty filling...and the chutney...and a slice of lovely buttered sourdough. The Chef can cook eggs. Top marks. Yes, the menu is at a higher price range but likely it's better to come here on occasions rather than all the time.

Serving up fresh, seasonal dishes with flair. The food, beverage and service are excellent. It is a cozy spot with a thoughtful menu, but prices can be a little steep. Still, the quality makes it worth the splurge.

Very busy, but the wait was very reasonable at lunch time. It is loud though as a result of being so popular. A bit on the pricey side. My iced long black large was not really a large which was disappointing. The fritatta was by far the winning choice by diners.

Been here a few times now over the years. Brunch is overall good, staff are friendly. A bit more on the expensive side.

Everything was delicious! I ordered the Scramble Kimchi and the Matcha Latte with Oat and honey! The star, for me, was the Matcha Latte, the Scramble Kimchi needed a little salt but it was good nonetheless. The service was great, everyone was extremely nice and fast. I would definitely go back.

Smoked Paprika is a popular brunch spot located in the heart of Rosalie, Brisbane. Despite its unassuming appearance, this eatery draws a crowd with its generous servings of high-quality Hungarian-style breakfast dishes. The menu offers lavish items with a hefty Hungarian twist, served in substantial outdoor dining space with a cozy and friendly atmosphere. Diners can indulge in Israeli baked eggs, shakshuka, and delectable Hungarian stew served with poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce.
We visited Smoked Paprika and were absolutely delighted with both the food and the service. We chose a beautifully presented dish of fluffy pancakes topped with vibrant pink fairy floss, fresh fruit, whipped cream, and a rich drizzle of syrup on the side. The plate also came with creamy ice cream, a biscuit, and gorgeous little touches like orange slices, strawberries, blueberries, and a chocolate garnish every detail was thoughtfully arranged and visually stunning. To go alongside, we enjoyed their divine hot chocolate, which was smooth, rich, and perfectly indulgent the ideal match for such a decadent plate. The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Smoked Paprika has a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the team clearly puts so much care into both their food and service. ✨ Highly recommend for anyone who loves a mix of creativity, flavor, and genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

4 stars not because I am complaining but I can’t give 4.5 and to give 5 stars it has to be exceptional and whilst this breakfast (which was listed as the special) was very tasty, the zucchini fritters in my opinion were a little under seasoned and stodgy for my liking. There was a lot going on on the plate and it was way too big for one person. I’d like to come back and try some of the other menu items which read quite interesting and a little different. The waitress was very friendly and professional. Coffee was great and nice to see they have pouring cream to add as not many places in Brisbane do.

One of my fave cafes when I used to live nearby. Don’t get out as much anymore but every time I do it’s just as good as I remember. We went today and when we ordered said we’re just going to share the sweet potato hash and they brought it out split up onto two plates! You honestly don’t get customer service like that much anymore. Thanks smoked paprika team, it’s always a pleasure x

Decided to come here on a whim as we were in the area and remember that a friend works here. We ordered the brisket and the pancake and were absolutely stunned. The brisket was SOOOO good - juicy and perfectly spiced. The combination with the pink hummus (at least I think it was!) and the veggies and the fritter at the bottom was heavenly!

We showed up here on Sunday for brunch without reservation and were lucky to get a table. This cafe is always busy, so we're thrilled there was a table for the 2 of us. The menu is full of delicious food and drinks. So we'll definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu. The food that we ordered was fresh and tasty, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the beef cheeks special and was soo good. I highly recommend this cafe and make sure you make a reservation.

Staff are absolute stars , perfect service . Had an ad pop up on instagram for Hungarian baked eggs . Ended up taking a couple weeks to make it in to try , by then the special was over . Without issue they asked the chef and made it work! The meal was spot on 10/10 . I do hope it comes back regularly or even permanent! Decent sized serving . Would recommend to EVERYONE if it’s available (bring it back pls)

Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent coffee. Relaxed, clean, fog friendly. 100% recommend for an extended brunch. Menu suited everyone. A couple of special requests with the order (e.g. eggs cooked a certain way) were too easy. Fast service. Everything arrived together. Busy without being cluttered and noisy. Came for brunch with friends from up North I haven’t seen in a year - we were here for 3 hours and the staff had cleaned up around us without making us feel uncomfortable or pushed out.

Great food and such a lovely atmosphere! The inside of the cafe is literally a living room with a fireplace and art all over the walls. Got the Scout Deli toastie and meat version of Scout’s Honour. Food took a while to come but it’s a nice place to sit and relax so we didn’t mind at all.

Lovely little gem hidden away in the suburbs. Love the decor and atmosphere. Bagels are great here and would highly recommend them. Also had the avo smash which is typical what you’d get at any cafe. Only comment is to not go here super hungry because wait time can take a while. Other than that, super chilled place to go and always coming back :)
Hungry J — Google review
Rustic and cozy living room atmosphere and their bagels are pretty good. But, in the past 3 visits, the wait times have been consistently over 30 minutes, even when the cafe isn’t busy, which is frustrating. On one visit, my long black was sour, which was disappointing. On another, our order was wrong but we just let it go because we didn't want to wait another half an hour. The food is decent, but the slow and inconsistent service makes it hard to justify coming back regularly.

Great coffee, but $6.70 for 12oz seems steep to me. I can’t imagine paying more than 6.10 in the current coffee/milk market. Cappuccino could have more froth. Caramel Slice is very very good. Service, banter, atmosphere is great. Come here for the reasonably priced food, and lovely atmosphere.

Legit best cappuccino I've had in my life. Perfect temperature, perfect foam, quality coffee. They dust the top of it with cocoa powder and sugar so you get a little taste of chocolate with each sip. The ambiance was peaceful when I went around 10am and the staff seemed like they were in a good mood. Highly recommend

Fuel & Co in Brisbane is a bustling cafe known for its delectable pancakes. The apple and blueberry hotcake, adorned with custard, maple syrup, oat crumble, and vanilla ice cream, is a must-try. Another favorite is the raspberry and white chocolate oven-baked hotcake topped with maple syrup, vanilla ice cream, and toasted coconut. What a great little spot which I found whilst driving past. The space was lovely light and airy. The service was friendly, and my coffee and meal were out quickly. My only grumble was the bacon being cooked so crispy it fell apart. Otherwise, the food and coffee were delicious.

Exceptional service this morning from our waitress. Food was great and we will definitely make this a regular cafe haunt. The oat caps were average, the coffee is good but the oat milk used not great would suggest they look at changing to something more smooth and creamy like Oatly Barista. Overall great time and food.

Elise — Google review
The food was pretty good, nicely presented as you can see, a good variety on the menu. Only some really small slights: food was just warm not hot, they all arrived together, which was nice, (but perhaps the warm food temperature was the cost); the crispy skin barramundi vegetable accompaniment was tasty and attractive; however, the barramundi skin was too tough and chewy to easily cut through and enjoy (more chew than crunch). The stuffed roasted tomatoes (on the specials board) were supposed to have the requested suggested option of grilled mushrooms in the side, but they didn’t and the half tomato just too firm and gourmet tomato, rather than a more tasty variety like truss tomatoes. Had one of the staff come and asked how our meals were, then they would’ve still had the sale of the side of $5 mushrooms. The only other thing which two of us would’ve appreciated was if the spinach was wilted off, instead of direct from packet to plate (to release the vitamins and balance the temperature, for these two hot meals (see photos of mushroom and eggs, and Barramundi). These were minor because our meals were unanimously satisfyingly and we ate everything. Just explaining why the meals were rated only 3 stars and not 4 or 5. Acoustically (like most cafes there’s a lot of noise going on), and we found the volume inside, ironically, (normally they bounce off the glass), slightly better than last time, when we were outside in the courtyard. The staff are lovely and friendly, but I did feel a little rushed making my drink order, without enough time to think and consider, being asked three times for my drink order that the waiter seemed determined to take at the same time as my friends and lock in with the food order. This was for after the meal and I’d have preferred to have been able to order them. While I really enjoyed the biscotti milkshake, it was too much and sweet, whilst I’d forgotten that I like their coffee and would’ve preferred that after the meal, but I succumbed to the waiter and peer pressure of dessert drinks. The others ordered the ginger hot Chocolate (also on the specials board), but unanimously described it as too sweet and filling (served in a tall, large mug), and they would have preferred size options, like coffee, and my friend left half of hers. This more reflects the pressure to lock in a post meal drink or dessert before having had the meal. Overall, this was very pleasant and comfortable for us, we were seated at a round table, and we enjoyed our experience.

It's so hard for me to leave a bad review in a place. Unfortunately, I didn't like this place at all and I will never come back. The reasons: 1. Salmon was not fresh. I accidentally ordered extra salmon thinking it was cooked salmon (we even asked the staff but she didn't explain me correctly how the salmon was) anyway, I still tried it but I couldn't eat it! The taste was off and weird. 2. Inside the glass of water there was some seeds or something. And the glass was smelling bad. 3. They forgot to serve our coffee. We got the food and we were still waiting for the coffee. The staff told us she ordered it but she didn't know why it wasn't made yet. The store was not busy so I dont understand what happened. 4. My boyfriend requested bbq sauce but the taste was not like bbq. It was more like a combination of tomato, bbq and water. 5. The food is expensive considering the quality of it. I would not recommend it.

We tried a couple of dishes here that were served in excellent time. The chilli scrambled eggs were quite good with a fresh salad and amazing coconut sambal. Great vibe and beautifully presented food. Most dishes were flavorful but service was not very attentive. Service from staff fell short of expectations. We waited a long time for the staff to attend us at front. After being seated we were ready to order, no one came to take our order or confirm if we already placed an order or if wanted anything else, there was no acknowledgment at all, we eventually had to place order through the phone.

The coffee was amazing (disclaimer I'm from Melbourne). All of our dishes were fabulous too, my only very minor feedback would be less fried things in the Vegetarian Benny (personal preference). Service at the table was great, but upon entering we were greeted by multiple staff who seemed to forget we were waiting to be seated.

Absolutely loved this cafe! The ambiance is stunning — cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed meal or catch-up. You only need to visit this café once to understand why it’s earned so many glowing reviews. The coffee is top-notch—rich, smooth, and consistently good—while the space itself is spotless and inviting. But what really sets it apart is the food. I had a burger, and it was not only delicious but also incredibly well-priced—like something out of a menu from four or five years ago. It’s refreshing to find a place that maintains high quality while keeping prices so affordable. In today’s world, that’s no small feat, and it makes this spot a go-to for locals who appreciate great value. The service is warm and welcoming, adding to the overall experience, and there are clean public toilets nearby, which is always a plus if you’re planning to stick around for a bit. I often stop by when I’m in the area for work, and I’ll definitely keep coming back. This café nails the balance between quality, comfort, and cost—no wonder it’s so loved.

Super busy, but of a wait but definitely worth it. Food is FANTASTIC. Benny is great and I love that it comes with halloumi and hashbrown etc. Eggs and hollandaise were perfect and presentation is beautiful. Only issue was the matcha which was sooooo weak. Should be a very vibrant green colour and it was super pale, I asked if they could please put a bit more matcha in it and they did which was great of them (but also shouldn’t really have to when paying $9 for a matcha)

What a lovely little place! Beautiful decor, and pet friendly. I had the August waffle special, which was gluten free! My husband enjoyed his burger. There's even a menu for the dining dog. I'd love to come back and bring my pup too!

Great food, drinks, service and atmosphere! Also dog-friendly (outdoor section). And the menu changes seasonally, which is great for regular customers. Also a lovely selection of fresh flowers, gifts and cards. Good coffee too!

Nice little neighbourhood cafe with some childhood favourites. The jaffles were serviceable but I personally would have preferred something more crunchy and less overdressed with sauce and greens. Juice and waffles were nice but not outstanding.

The most delicious burgers. I had the gluten free bun with crispy succulent chicken and my family enjoyed the beef burgers, which they reported were juicy and tasty. Halloumi fries and regulars fries and all the dipping sauces were delectable. Thank you Todd & Pup - we look forward to the next Friday night burger night!

1. We stopped by for a breakfast bright and early. The staff welcomed us with warm smiles as soon as we entered. They informed us that we could place our orders using the QR code at our table or at the counter. We chose to use the QR code, and it was super user-friendly. Our drinks came out quickly, followed by our breakfast shortly after. For my breakfast I choose the grilled chicken benedict The way the food was presented was delightful, making it even more enjoyable to eat. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will certainly return. Thanks, Todd & Pup!

Gorgeous spot! Kind service, excellent all-day menu. Good flowers. I came here after a trail run with the intention of just having a coffee with a friend, but after seeing the menu I had to have a proper meal! So glad I did. Chilli sandcrab gnocchi with poached eggs, chilli oil, and bonito flakes. Incredible. Gnocchi was obviously freshly handmade, and cooked to perfection. Slightly crispy but soft on the inside. Sandcrab still managed to maintain it’s delicate flavour. Flowers are gorgeous and well priced. They also have a menu just for dogs.

Exceptional! We had the Thai meatballs and the key lime pancake and both were fantastic. Very original, good portion size and just tasted really really. Like, really really great! So glad we made the trek across town for it. And if you're feeling guilty afterwards Toohey Forest is up the road and offers some great ways to walk it off 😀

Nestled on Walgett's main street, Stones Throw is a delightful café and shop that radiates warmth and community spirit. Owned by the dynamic duo Katie Murray and her husband Jay, this charming spot has become a beacon of hope in the drought-affected region. As you approach, you're greeted by lush greenery spilling from vintage European market carts and planters, setting a vibrant tone for your visit.
Love Stones Throw for a quick breakfast burrito or iced latte after park run or a lazy brunch with the family. Excellent food and service!! Highly recommend the Spanish Omelette.

Enjoyed the food here. I ordered the baked eggs a very tasty, rich tomato based dish, served with rye bread. Coffee was average, didn't enjoy the flavour, but that's just a personal thing. Seating available outside on street & at the back of cafe if you have your furry friend

With its rustic charm & cozy rear nook, Stones Throw is a hidden gem that brings a whole new energy to Stones Corner. Our picks: 🍳 pulled pork potato hash 🍗 korean fried chicken waffle 🌟 house made biscoff brownie ☕️ coffee yuzu tonic 🍵 yuzu matcha latte From classic breakfast staples to unique bites like the korean inspired waffle, every dish is packed with flavours! Definitely don’t miss out on their drinks - the yuzu matcha is a must try for that refreshing citrus twist!

Absolutely gorgeous cafe. They sell Vietnamese iced coffee and it's amazing. We had the bacon and egg muffins with chips and I have to say it's the best tasting lunch I think I've ever had in all my cafe experiences in Brisbane. Beautiful shaded back patio and lots of seating. Go here.

Great little place in Stones Corner that seems to be overlooked. Great service and a really tasty brunch. We had the eggs Benedict and.pulled pork sweet potato hash and a couple of coffees. Five stars!

Visited on a quiet Tuesday morning, enjoying a quick brekkie here! Clean interior with heaps of seating available. Ordered the chicken burger, avo on toast (add bacon) and two coffees. Was in a bit of a hurry, so was so grateful the service was quick and our meals came out super fast. The two sourdough pieces were tiny, but packed with avo on top- it definitely filled me up. The chicken burger was likewise tasty; we really enjoyed our meals here. My coffee was the best I’ve had in ages, so so smooth and delicious. However, the vanilla latte we ordered tasted a bit like medicine (from the syrup I assume) and hence ruined that coffee for us. Most of the staff working seemed really young, and didn’t really give us a friendly impression. It almost seemed like an inconvenience for them to serve us. This really wasn’t a bother though, as we enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back in the future!

Pablo is a beloved local spot in New Farm, offering delicious food and coffee with a unique and comfortable atmosphere. The staff are known for being friendly and accommodating, while the menu features unique dishes and flavors. The cafe provides indoor, outdoor, and pet-friendly seating options. Customers can enjoy a variety of options including vegan/gluten-free choices. Additionally, Pablo is praised for its smooth rich espresso and out-of-this-world breakfast burger.
I am never disappointed when I go here. Really friendly staff and some unique dishes/flavours. I love the smoked trout & pea mash dish... So yummy & unexpected! Pablo has a knack for making healthy options delicious. I am yet to try the evenings but if the brunch options are anything to go by. I am sure it will all be yummy too!

Lovely cafe with indoor, outdoor and footpath seating. It is pet friendly and it was order at the counter. I was slightly disappointed with my burger, it was all very mushy but still tasted yum. Coffee was great and the other meals looked tasty. It had options for vegetarian and vegan diners

Nice place, great service, delicious food. They’ve got the staple options and a nice array of other more unique dishes. The coffee is quite good too. I was there on a Sunday morning so it was quite busy, and I ordered the lamb mince dish which I’m assuming isn’t a usual order - came out in 30 mins which is understandable. Will definitely be back.

The staff are great! I came right from an exercise class for brunch and was quite hot from the effort (read, Sweaty)!! Several of the staff offered a seat indoors to cool off which was very sweet! The food was delicious, the coffee was stellar and the staff were extremely nice and attentive! Can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu!

They’ve got something really special going in New Farm!

The Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) is a contemporary art museum located in a modern riverside building in Brisbane, Australia. Established in 2006 as an extension of the Queensland Art Gallery, GOMA has quickly gained recognition as one of the largest modern and contemporary art galleries in Australia.
Had the pleasure of visiting the Gallery of Modern Act this afternoon. The venue is outstanding and so well maintained. There are 4 levels of exhibitions and they are all modern and contemporary. It is appropriate because there are exhibitions that challenge modern ideas and social norms. Thank you to everyone who is involved in the management and services provided at the Gallery. If you haven't visited, do yourself a favour and come experience the excellence here.

The Gallery of Modern Art is truly inspiring! The exhibitions are diverse and well-curated, offering both international and local perspectives. The space is bright, open, and beautifully designed, making it enjoyable to explore at your own pace. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is welcoming for all ages. A must-visit in Brisbane!

Good place to visit on weekend going out. It was free to see art exhibitions. This is next normal art museum. And also near Queensland library . It is very nice area and enjoyable. I visited both. It took around 3 hours total . 10mins from Brisbane south station. I visited with my family. Quiet and quality arts . Also there are nice cafe. If you don’t like noisy place , here is calm and quiet and makes you feel relax and enjoyable.

Wonderful place to visit. Knowledgeable and friendly experts to guide you through individual sections of the gallery. A carefully selected art work both domestic and international. I particularly appreciate the indigenous artists creation, beautiful and meaningful. The cafe wasn't too bad either, delicious toasted sandwich with a bunch of different food to cater for different dietary requirements. Definitely, worth a visit here.

Loved this museum. Its big, not too busy and has wonderful exibitions! Plus its free. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here. Def. kid friendly with a cafe + play area on the river if you need refreshments.

The Gallery of Modern Art offers a wonderful chance to see the world through the eyes of different artists — a perfect place to slow down and reflect on life. What touched me most was an artwork tracing a family tree that reminded us that, thousands of years ago, we were all connected as one big family. It made me wonder — why do we still create so many divisions between races today?

The Gunshop Cafe is a vibrant spot in Brisbane, known for its creative breakfasts and market specials. Love the rustic, cosy aesthetic of the cafe. Food and range of the menu is great. Service is friendly and efficient. I love the changing specials for both food and drinks- such creative options! Makes me wanna keep going back to try it all :) great spot for casual brunch date

Food is okay. We ordered the brisket sandwich which we found too greasy. Sandwich is too soaked with oil. French toast is nice but the raspberry sorbet kind of overpowered the flavour of the bread. Atmosphere is nice with the rustic look but saw cockroach nonchalantly walking around the floor which is a bit of turn off.

If you are looking for a delicious breakfast spot, I recommend this cafe! 🍽️ From the outside it might look small, but step inside and you’ll find it surprisingly spacious with plenty of seating. The brick-lined, moody back area is the perfect setting for a catch-up with friends. And the food? Absolutely fantastic. Fresh, beautifully presented, and seriously tasty. The French toast from their new specials menu is a standout and downright mouth-watering. The drinks are just as gorgeous, making it a dream for anyone who loves a good Insta-worthy food shot that actually tastes as good as it looks.
Kalila M — Google review
Paid $20 for scrambled eggs on toast + a hashbrown. The sour dough toast was rock hard to the point where the crust was pretty inedible. The 4 spinach leaves and quarter of a tomato weren’t the greatest addition to the meal either - they were bland and I think were there for decoration.
Jazmine P — Google review
I waited for over half an hour, and when my risotto finally came, the rice was still undercooked with hard bits inside. The fish was tough as well. Not sure if it was because of the fish, but the whole risotto was really oily instead of creamy — I could literally scoop up spoonfuls of oil. I understand weekends can be busy, but waiting more than 30 minutes for a dish of this quality was really disappointing.
Gloria G — Google review
Been here a few times now and each time was part of a large group which meant sitting in the back dining room where we could do a long table setup. It's a good space except it's storming - this happened a previous visit and it gets pretty noisy + a bit of flooding happens in heavy downpours. On this visit I had a prawn and crab spaghetti ($34) which was quite tasty and enjoyable. It came with 5 prawns and chunks of crab meat. The rest of my family had a brekky burger ($17) and a brisket sandwich ($28) Service is pretty good. They encourage ordering and paying online but if you want to avoid the card fees/pay cash they can take your order manually and send you to the front counter to pay. One thing that can be an issue when you have a group and people ordering the same dishes is figuring out whose order is being brought to the table.
Winston W — Google review
Another great find in Brisbane. The shop front is deceiving but don’t be fooled as the place extends down someway with indoor dining and an enclosed beer garden at the back with some cool wall art. We enjoyed brunch on a Saturday morning choosing the sweet potato and thyme rosti - truly a piece of art in presentation but also in taste. While we waited we keenly eyed off other people’s orders trying to guess what it was. Will definitely be back to try some of the other menu options.
Mia G — Google review
I ate here in person about 12 years ago and it was great. Since then I have ordered their breakfast burger with a side of oven baked tomato’s and their red drink a few times. Until today it had been delicious. Today the tomato’s were not only very unripe but they were so undercooked we had to use a proper kitchen knife to cut them instead of just a knife and fork. We tried to cook them longer by it just ruined them. I had a comment in the order asking them to extra roast them as I am disabled and need food to be softer than usual. The halloumi on the burger was burnt and the burger was so dry my carer had to fry some eggs to go in the burger. Their standards have dropped through the floor while their costs are sky high, truly so sad that their food is junk now and that they thought it was okay to serve food like this to any customer.

I took my partner for his birthday there. What can I say other than WOW! Every dish was executed to perfection tastewise and visually. Portions were right size. You could see how much of love and profesionalism is put on every dish . Service was amazing too. It was a pleasant surprise to get condiment jars of smoked butter as a little present to take home. Well done guys. We will definitely come back!

We came to celebrated a birthday as many of our friends highly recommend Rogue for special occasions. My partner enjoyed their regular menu and would give it a 5/5, I had the pescatarian menu and I found it to be lacking at times - for example, he got a delicious meat skewer in the entrees while I got a one with a vegetable on it, my market fish was overly salty, his main was delicious. We also tried the wine pairings and I didn’t enjoy them as they were all too sweet. I thought they’d be good since they are tailored to the menu, but I wish I instead just ordered a bottle or some cocktails since we ended up spending just under $100 for the wine. Service was impeccable although we were moved 1.5 hours into our meal just before dessert - we were moved outside. It was a bit premature as we would have finished our meal and paid before the two hour mark. It was chillier outside, although they do have heaters. I reserved indoor dining though so I was a little less prepared to be sitting outdoors. They did not offer blankets. I would recommend this place again but only if you dine with the regular menu.

This restaurant was amazing from the moment we arrived until we left. The service was friendly and professional. There were multiple set menus to choose from to cater to many different dietary requirements. I had the vegetarian menu and my husband had the seafood free menu. The dishes came out at a steady pace and we never felt rushed over our two hour seating. Some dishes were very small but after having all nine we were really full so you won’t leave hungry. Every dish was explained on arrival and they were all amazing flavours! There was a large variety of drinks on the menu including tasty mocktails for me as I’m currently pregnant. Street parking was a bit tricky so arrive early to find a spot. Would highly recommend this restaurant. I know we’ll be back.

We celebrated our anniversary here and it was such a memorable experience 💖 The atmosphere was elegant yet cozy, making it the perfect spot for a special night. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. I had a cocktail that was so refreshing and balanced – it really elevated the whole dining experience 🍸✨ The service was outstanding. Our server, Anna, was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly special. She even surprised us with a little jar of smoked butter to take home – such a sweet gesture that made the night even more unforgettable 🫶 Highly recommended for anyone looking for fine dining with amazing food, great drinks, and exceptional service!

Just had the Winter Menu for a table of 4. Snacks: -NY rye: 6/10, Nothing special, found it too salty but I could have overdone it with the butter -Corn taco: 2/10, Tasted only of corn powder with unpleasant texture -Chicken skewer: 9/10, Lovely flavour and texture -Mushroom soup: 7/10, I didn’t like it but I dislike mushrooms anyway -Tempura cauliflower: 9/10, Very tasty King prawn: 3/10, Overcooked, mushy. Sauce was unpleasant too Duck: 10/10, Amazing. Really enjoyed the buttered leek with it Honey Wagyu: 2/10, Sickly sweet on the outside, centre meat was very well done and chewy and tough. Sauce was decent though Sticky date pudding: 11/10, Absolutely delicious, just wish there were more of it. The wine pairings were very nice, as were all the cocktails we tried. Service was excellent, atmosphere was nothing special, there were several very nice dishes but two of the three mains were completely inedible, and for the price you could go to many places more consistent.

The restaurant's terrace provides a charming setting with greenery, cushioned seats, and views of the hotel pool. Guests can enjoy a discerning drinks selection while indulging in the notable fish options.
I am totally surprised by some of the reviews posted here. Maybe we were not in the same restaurant. As far as I am concerned, this place is EXCEPTIONAL! The service is EXCEPTIONAL! I felt very embarrassed that I did not leave a tip here. The service is non-intrusive, but somehow every interaction with the service staff is just right! The food is EXCEPTIONAL! I want to come back for more. The setting is EXCEPTIONAL! We totally enjoyed our lunch here although we were sitting just right beside the kitchen and serving area! We can see almost every dish that was served here during our visit. The price is ORDINARY! I thought we were given the wrong bill. I want to be back again, just to proof to myself that those that did not give this place five stars was in the wrong place.

The food here is all tasty and cooked well. The menu is large so there is plenty of options. It was also nice to have this available poolside. A few errors were made with bringing the correct dishes/forgetting a dish when we dined poolside but other than that is was a nice dining experience.

Had a wonderful father daughter date here. My dad had an appointment and they made sure to bring out the food super quickly (thank you to our server, Sebastian) and it was still delicious. We were very well looked after without feeling overwhelmed - well attended without being excessive. The atmosphere was amazing and as a migraine sufferer who struggles in highly illuminated and noisy environments, it was very calming and allowed me to enjoy my meal. 10/10 will definitely be going back and requesting for Sebastian.

Dinned here for dinner on a school night. Great atmosphere to eat in and the service was superb friendly, helpful and nice. Tbh the food is like any other greek restaurant. The standout dish was the king prawn. Unfortunately the saganaki wasn't really melted and the Tuna tartare lacked in flavour. The lamb fell off the bone and did have some tender portions however was mainly dry. The following day I ate a lamb wrap at the pool and the lamb was very tender so it may of been an off night

Elevated Elegance at Hellenika Hellenika at The Calile is one of those places that just gets it right—every time. Tucked away upstairs at the ever-stylish Calile Hotel, this gem has become a regular spot for my husband Hugh and I whenever we’re in the mood for a brunch that feels like a mini getaway. The vibe is immaculate—chic, sun-drenched, and effortlessly cool, with soft green umbrellas, curved balconies, and swaying palms creating a space that could just as easily be somewhere on the Mediterranean coast. The pool, while reserved for hotel guests, adds a dreamy, resort-like view that makes sipping your coffee feel like an escape. Speaking of coffee—it’s great. Strong, smooth, and served with a side of style. The brunch menu is equally on point, with dishes that are as fresh and vibrant as the decor. If you’re a fan of aesthetic spaces, well-crafted food, and that feeling of being somewhere special, Hellenika is a must. It’s now firmly on our coffee and brunch rotation, and honestly, we’re just looking for excuses to go back again and again. (Pro tip: bring sunglasses—you’ll want to linger in that morning light as long as possible.)

I visited this restaurant today, and while the ambiance was fantastic with a romantic vibe, the dining space felt quite cramped. The tables were packed closely together, making it a bit difficult for guests to move around comfortably. The food was delicious, though the portion sizes were smaller than expected. However, the most disappointing part of our experience was the service. Our drinks, which we ordered before our meals, were completely forgotten. We had to remind the staff while eating, and unfortunately, the drinks only arrived after we had already finished our meal—without so much as an apology. This lack of attentiveness left a negative impression, and sadly, it didn’t encourage us to return.

Atmosphere and location is great, food is nice but pretty pricy for the quality. Saganaki was expensive and cold. I’m giving benefit of the doubt as it was quite busy and we had a late seating.

The drinks not only look stunning but are expertly crafted, with a perfect balance of flavors. The service deserves special mention, as the staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to make your experience unforgettable. Housed in an old corner store, the cafe prides itself on using fresh local produce and creating their own jams, butters, cakes, and cream from scratch.
I love going out for breakfast on the weekend and value quality coffee, lovely meal choices and friendly, helpful and genuinely kind service. Billykart didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed an early Saturday morning breakfast at Billykart. The menu choice while not extensive was full of plenty of delicious choices. The kitchen was very helpful in accommodating modification of meals (where possible) to be gluten free and dairy free for myself. There were plenty of tables available both inside and out and there was plenty of street parking. Our coffees were great and the service was super wonderful. I also loved that there was a choice of freshly squeezed juices available. I enjoyed a mix of the two. I also loved how there was a choice of reading material on the shelves. Great if you wanted to get out and be somewhere lovely to enjoy a coffee by yourself. Across the road from the cafe is a park with playground equipment. Great if you wanted to grab a coffee to watch the kids play. I’ll definitely be returning.

Went to their chili cook off. You definitely have a returned customer. Everyone involved in the cook off was warm and inviting. Staff were great and the atmosphere was so welcoming. Everyone was in a happy mood and just wanted to eat chili. Band on stage were great. Can't wait for your next event

First time dining at Kettle & Tin and we thought it was a great experience. On arrival, a very friendly staff member greeted us and advised us to take a seat at a table outside. Once seated, we placed our orders for coffee, one iced latte on soy and one large skinny cap. We both loved and appreciated the perfectly frothed milk, so creamy and light. The soy iced latte was refreshing. Food wise, it took us a little while to decide as there were quite a few items on their menu we wanted to try. We ended up with their poached eggs on toast with mushrooms on the side and Chicken ‘n’ Waffles. Starting with the few things I enjoyed, I thought the chicken was well seasoned and flavorful. It was juicy and tender on the inside. The waffles were crunchy on the edge, just the way I like my waffles. The syrup drizzled on top was evenly distributed and complimented both the chicken and waffles. Despite the syrup, the waffles remained their shape and didn’t go soggy. Now let’s talk about a couple of things I was not impressed with. First of all, even though I appreciated the spiciness, which was a nice addition and really woke up my taste buds, it was just a bit too much for me. It would have been much more enjoyable if it had been toned down a bit. I also had a feeling that the chicken was prob burned (correct me if I’m wrong). Almost all pieces were dark in color and slightly charred here and there, which made the chicken taste a bit bitter. In general, I enjoyed my chicken and waffles but just wish it had been a bit less spicier. That’s why I’m giving 3 and a half out of 5 for the chicken and waffles. Apart from my dish, I had a bit of the mushroom, which I thought was quite nice. The service was amazing and both staff who served us were very attentive and friendly. All interactions were great. Will come back for brunch again. Thanks for the pleasant experience.

Very friendly staff, open atmosphere, can seat big groups. We came for breakfast on Saturday 10am and it was not too busy. Coffee was great and food was fresh. I enjoyed the Buddha bowl, crispy haloumi, crispy Kale, great veggies variety but the vinaigrette grette was too strong for me. My husband had the breakfast burger which was pretty standard in a good way :)

Nice place for breakfast, interesting selection. Great service and coffee. The only things is that they didn't mention that toast with sausage will have just one peace of bread which I found a bit ridiculous especially for the price. Overall 3/4 of us were very happy and full after breakfast, one left with a bit more space inside his belly.

Drinks came out first & although we appreciated the use of paper straws, it felt like we were shortchanged for the iced latte - the smoothie was filled to the brim but the iced latte looked like someone had taken a huge gulp out of it already. Smoothie was ok but wasn't cold. Chicken & waffles dish was disappointing as the waffle was not heated & tasted quite bland - like it was prepackaged, opened & whacked on the plate. With the Three Little Baos, the dish is vegetarian but you can also choose to have a meat option (chicken/pork belly). We went for the chicken & it was yummy but the dish is very small - probably an entree/side dish - not worth the $18 price tag. Cosy cafe with a good view at the back of the shop. Overall ok.

Absolutely loved it! Such a cutie little place to have a date. The food was delicious but I suggest going there for a light meal as their portion sizes are small. Definitely recommend.

It is relaxed, comfy and airy here, and made me feel like I was visiting a good friend's place. There is a wide range of dishes and great vegetarian options. I had the Budda bowl and it was plentiful, fresh and delicious. I also had a very tasty berry smoothie. It was a pleasure to be able to catch up with my friend in a peaceful venue where we didn't have the challenge of talking with the intrusion of loud music. The service was genuinely friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning.

Tldr: Very very good cafe with amazing food. Worth driving for! 9/10 A quaint little cafe in Wilston. Has a great menu with many good options. The chef's special and the slow cooked beef brisket burger were amazing! Generous serving size with amazing customer service. Good coffee and drinks as well. I would highly recommend checking this cafe out. It's worth travelling for.

This is our second visit to this pet-friendly cafe, and we love the vibe! The food portions are generous, and the coffee is consistently good. Last time, the lamb was perfection, but this time the chef's special duck leg was a bit disappointing—sadly dry. Still, we’ll definitely be back to support this local gem!.

I would rank this place as Brisbane’s number 1 cafe. They have the best range of menu with a really unique selection of combinations in each plate. They have a wide range of vegetarian options too. Their coffees and in house drinks are another addition of absolute joy. They are incredibly good with their service as well. The owners and the staff are so welcoming. I highly recommend this place. 11/10, and will keep coming back.

The all-day menu features tempting options like doughnut French toast and slow-cooked lamb bruschetta, but the real star is the weekend special. Located in Holland Park on the South Side, this cafe serves up hearty breakfasts that won't leave you feeling heavy.
My family and I visited this cafe for the first time, and we couldn’t have been more satisfied! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that left us more than happy. The coffee was so good that we couldn’t resist going for a second round. The overall experience was fantastic, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

A buzzing cafe on Sunday morning with only a few tables available. The young staff are friendly and helpful. My apple crumble acai bowl with Mascarpone was excellent. The coffee full of flavour. In my opinion, a great choice on the southside.

A nice day to have breakfast, and here at Deedot, it’s spacious and breezy with plenty of tables. We ordered the Deedot breakfast with our coffees and wow, the taste! The mushrooms were chunky and full of garlic flavour, the bacon crispy and the potato rosti is one of the tastiest we’ve had in a long time. Well done.

My first time visiting (others in the group have been before and recommended here) We booked for a Saturday lunch - not sure we would have got a table otherwise - very busy (which is always a good sign) Food and drink was actually very fast. Currently visiting from WA and the cafe was within walking distance to my accommodation. Delicious food. I got the vegetarian big breakfast and it was 10/10. Feta potato hash was to die for. Came back multiple times, staff is always lovely and attentive. Massive drinks menu and options to sit inside or outside. Going to miss it!

The venue is so spacious and open. All the morning sun just shines through the place. The coffee is really smooth here. Absolutely loved the mont blanc!! The mushroom toast was so yummy. We were invited to dine at Smug Fig Kitchen, and it was such a great experience. The front of the café is dog-friendly and undercover, making it perfect for a visit with dogs. The whole place was buzzing with energy and had such a welcoming vibe. My favourite was the cold foam coffee with coconut, which was so unique it tasted like an Asian paradise holiday. If you're looking for a delicious and authentic breakfast experience that'll leave you feeling inspired, then Petrichor & Co is the perfect place for you. With dishes like Colombian bubble'n'squeak and cassava arepa, this cafe has successfully infused Latin flavours into classic breakfast staples - and it doesn't stop there! From morning till night, you can enjoy a variety of Colombian-inspired meals that'll leave you energized all day long.
WOAH. YUM. Petrichor & Co brings serious flavour—especially the huevos rancheros, which is hands down my favourite. Packed with goodness and bold, beautiful flavour that hits all the right notes. There was a bit of inconsistency with the coffee—my first visit, it was off, but second time around it was much better. That aside, the food has been consistently delicious and clearly made with care. Vibrant, welcoming spot inspired by the flavours of Colombia and Latin America. Well worth a visit if you’re chasing something a little different (and seriously tasty).

A generally positive experience at this café near Hamilton. The standout was the Buffalo Chicken Burger—flavorful, well-balanced, and satisfying. In contrast, the Huevos Rancheros missed the mark and felt uninspired. Coffee-wise, both the cappuccino and turmeric latte were well-made and enjoyable, rounding out the visit on a good note.

Gorgeous little cafe, I was waiting for my bus just across the road and desperate for a coffee and something to eat but I only had 7 minutes till the bus arrived. The lovely people here were flat out as it was being open on easter so I was nervous but prepared to miss the bus. They got me my small mocha coffee and toasted croissant (pre-made in the display fridge) in no more than 6 minutes!! It was only $16 altogether. The coffee was delicious and perfect temp it was so good I’d almost finished it by the time I left with my croissant. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu with friends.

Very generous, very tasty! We have never finished our breakfast before but here we did! We have ordered smashed avocado on toast and their special Croquet Madame! DELICIOUS!
Dorna D — Google review
I stopped by after running errands in the area. I ordered the corn and broccoli fritters, with a side of bacon. The food arrived quickly but the fritters were lukewarm and the entire dish was too salty. The bacon tasted bland in comparison! Absolutely not worth the $32 price tag.
Vee M — Google review
The pros and the cons! I’m going to keep this one short as sweet rather than my usual paragraphs of reviews because there really isn’t much to say. Service - if you want good service then don’t sit at the side of the venue because you might be forgotten (as we were! Sad face). Service issues: 1. The coffee order was forgotten, I ordered at 10.22 and it came at 10.57 only because I asked where it was, no one admitted to the mistake of missing the order and no one apologised. When the order came to the table it had the wrong milk… 2. No one came to take our food order, after 20 minutes I asked for service and the same waiter came. He didn’t try any up-sales which I find odd because I expect you to ask me if I want to add an egg or salmon. Sometimes I change my mind last minute and it’s the best decision for me and the business. 3. There was no service check in on how we were doing, if we were enjoying our meals, if we needed anything. 4. The worst part is there was no accountability from the original wait person, no apology. I wanted a quick breakfast so I could go about my day, I chose this venue expecting it to take the usual time any cafe would but unfortunately it’s not what happened. Food - The food is great, the cooks do a good job and the menu has a wide variety of options. The smashed avocado was a little bit salty for my personal preference but I would return for the food and the coffee (as it was good when I got it). I love that the menu has a wide variety of healthy foods and they have an obvious cultural background from Columbia I want to say. So there is plenty of flavour! Socials! - A new segment for me, as a millennial reviewer, socials are key to attracting some of us. I want to see what your interpretation of your menu items look like on the IG. Unfortunately, the IG seems to have no love anymore, with old posts, no new photos of current menu items. It’s a major letdown, I definitely recommend posting and resharing more on your instagram platform.

One of my favourite cafes for breakfast. Love the diversion from your average bacon & eggs. All about authentic Latin American flavours, loved the cauliflower burrito highly recommended. On a recent return visit, there was no cauliflower burrito. However, the huevos rancheros was great.
Diana W — Google review
Saw the menu online and found many of the items really interesting so we wanted to try. I got the Spiced 🥗 Cauliflower Salad and my boyfriend got the 🌮 Breakfast Tacos. The flavors were nice and there was nothing wrong with them, however it was nothing special. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go out of their way to visit here, but it’s not a bad place to stop over by if you’re in the area or already passing by and don’t have anywhere in particular to grab brunch at. On a side note, the 🍠🥓🧀 Sweet Potato and Cheese Muffin with Bacon from the counter was yum! Probably favorite dish of the meal hahaha. Make sure to ask them to heat it up as well!

Strauss is a charming café located in the heart of Brisbane's CBD, tucked away in a cozy laneway. The café offers a variety of specialty coffee made with their own house blend, as well as single-origin beans for long blacks and espressos that are rotated weekly. The ambiance exudes nostalgia and provides an oasis from the busy city life, making it the perfect spot for a quiet brunch or to enjoy a delicious salad.
We stopped in for an early breakfast, and had a great experience. The food was very good, the service was good also. But keep in mind they get pretty busy so expect a little wait. There is limited seating inside but they do have some tables in the alleyway. My wife said this is the best earl gray tea she has had since we have been in Brisbane.

The food was fine not the best salmon toast I’ve had, as it lacked a bit of flavor, but still okay. Maybe it would’ve been better with some extra toppings, but I expected a bit more. I also had a chai latte, which unfortunately wasn’t great, it didn’t taste like chai at all. That said, the staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the rest of the menu looked really good. I’d definitely come back to try other options, as they seemed much more appealing.

Excellent food, coffee, and atmosphere, but it loses a star because the timing of the coffee and food delivery is way off. You get your coffee and then by the time food arrives your drink is almost done. So, you order a second coffee and by the time it arrives your food is almost done. So, you are basically either eating or drinking, just not at the same time. The place often is very busy, and the staff is very friendly and always working hard, so part of the issue with having table service in this type of busy atmosphere is waiting for your server to find time to stop by your table. The management really needs to find a way to improve operations so that food and drinks are delivered more closely together, ideally at the same time, perhaps by implementing QR codes at tables to place orders so customers don't need to wait for their server, or doing away with table service altogether and instead having a dedicate area of the back counter for placing dine-in orders. Other than that one big issue, everything else here is great and the vibe is very clean, cozy, and welcoming!

Thank you Google for showing us such hidden gems. Walked past this alley multiple times and wouldn't even know there would be such a comfy little cafe at the end with great food and honest service. We sat down at the bar for a lovely meal, had a chat with the owner and/chef Brad and chatted with staff. The moment we were seated, we were attended and we were made very comfortable, welcome, and the picks from the menu explained. There was nothing to hide. We stopped here during our morning walk along the river boardwalk. There are access pathways from the boardwalk linking to Macquarie Street. Modest cafe, with friendly staff and good service. Covered outdoor seating on the footpath which is also very dog friendly. Some street parking available, however Macquarie Street and Skyring Terrace to get very busy during the day.

We left quite disappointed, especially given the high ratings. There is a mandatory 2% surcharge that increases to 5% on weekends, which feels excessive considering the pricing is already on the higher side. The atmosphere is fairly ordinary, and the service—as noted in other reviews—was disorganised and inattentive. After waiting without acknowledgment, we eventually gave up on table service. One dish that was meant to be gluten free wasn’t prepared correctly, and staff failed to mention that the added on chips were not gluten free. The meal had to be redone, and when it finally arrived, the “bun” turned out to be slices of gluten free toast. When it came to the food overall, it was forgettable. The weekend special was small in portion and average in quality. The breakfast burger was fine but let down by processed cheese and barely warmed bacon.

Indoor & outdoor seating available. Large cup lattes were nice & strong. Unfortunately whilst our order included pancakes, staff advised that they were unavailable (previous reviewer also stated this - so probs should be taken off the menu) so switched to breakfast bowl - which was very tasty. Brekky burger was also well liked with a perfect egg. Water wasn’t provided at the table until we asked. Place is child & dog friendly

Hubby and I had an impromptu lunch here this saturday. Staff were so friendly and lovely, and service was prompt. He had a berry smoothie - cold and delicious. I had the banana buzz iced drink; I asked for peanut butter as an extra as per the menu but it definitely did not have any PB in the drink! Would have been even more delicious with PB, but it was very fruity and cold and delicious without it. I ate the smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese, plus we had a side of fries and aioli, and he had the corn and avo fritters. The aioli was particularly good. We took home half the bagel and some of the generous amount of fries in a doggy bag. Everything was tasty and generous, and we had a lovely lunch. Will happily go again to try other dishes. (They also do takeaways.) Looks like your dog can come with you, on the outside of the cafe (we saw a dog bowl there.)

Cute little cafe in Teneriffe. Excellent coffee and food. The plain croissant was average, but their acai bowl was excellent! Plenty of alternative milks available, including Oat, Almond, Macadamia, Soy, and Lactose-Free. Friendly service. Loses a star because don't offer chocolate croissants and they impose a 2% surcharge on card transactions. Almost everyone pays with card these days, so they should just set a proper menu price and do away with all the silly surcharges, similar to what every business already does with GST.

Staff are amazing and very welcoming. Attention to detail is key. Rooms are spotless. Fabulous location. Unfortunately, the restaurant, Suzette where we had lunch did not live up to the same standards in the food department. We chose the club sandwich specifically for the Brie but chef left the Brie off the sandwich. We were given 2 slices of Brie and an apology. The wait staff were fabulous though. I hope Sofitel brings back their seafood buffet or adds more options to the menu at Suzette, the menu needed a bigger French feel to it.

The location of this hotel is very good. Although the gym on the top floor is not large, there are only four exercise machines, and there are a few more treadmills, but there are not many people, which is okay! The swimming pool is not big, and it is open-air! The room (large bed room) is suitable in size, with office tables and chairs and a leisure sofa.😊The bed is too soft, and the pillow is really, really soft, too soft! When you put your head on two stacked pillows,You will feel like you are not sleeping on a pillow at all because the thickness of the two pillows together is less than 5 cm.🙄 Breakfast is 54 AUD per person, and the dishes are quite fresh!Parking is 60 AUD per night.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, offering one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in any hotel. The location is ideal, with easy access to Brisbane’s CBD, transport and dining options, yet the atmosphere inside remains calm and luxurious. The hotel’s restaurant and lounge delivered quality and flavour at every turn, and the vibe was a standout — fresh, diverse and indulgent. Every staff interaction reflected true professionalism and care. Whether it was concierge, reception or restaurant service, the team consistently went above and beyond. A superb hotel experience from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone wanting comfort, class and genuine hospitality in Brisbane. I will absolutely stay again. 🙌✨

The hotel is outdated and needs major renovation. I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, but the overall condition shows that the property requires significant updates. The interior layout is old-fashioned, making you feel like you’ve gone back to the 1990s. The air conditioner is controlled by an analog switch instead of a digital one. However, the hotel’s hospitality and cleanliness are average and meet their standard.

After reading some of the other Google reviews, I was a little worried that this Sofitel would be a disappointment. But I am happy to report that the hotel is exceptionally well-maintained and feels like luxury. The beds, pillows, and sheets are very comfortable. Even the complimentary slippers are extra cozy, which is a nice touch. The towels are a tad well used but clean. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and well worth it. Lots of options and delicious. We really enjoyed the fresh pastry/bread, creamy eggs, and green veggies. Kids under 12 eat free, which makes it good value for families. Honestly, some of the Accor hotels I’ve stayed at in Australia have been subpar, so it was definitely a pleasant surprise to be able to experience the classic French sophistication of Sofitel.

Comfortable beds and pillows, rooms were clean and well appointed. The breakfast buffet was amazing as was the standard of room service and the cafe. Pool is lovely however mostly shaded from lunch time. Stephanies Spa is glorious.
Amber W — Google review
Positives: Our room was spacious and fairly well appointed. It's good that the bathroom still had a bath. The hotel is located in the centre of town above the station, so the location is excellent. The lifts were fast. There are two glass drink dispensers in the foyer, which provide something cold to drink on a hot day. As gold Accor members we received a bottle of champagne, which was very pleasing. Negatives: One of the drawers in the mini bar hadn't been cleaned. The fridge in our room had been turned off and was leaking water because of melting ice. Accor sent an email asking for our preferences, one of which was to have the AC turned off on arrival due to allergies, but this wasn't done. The toilet was old and one of the buttons wasn't working. The room in general, and especially the bathroom, is a bit outdated. Sometimes you can hear the trains, so better soundproofing would be helpful.

Victoria Park is a golf lover's paradise, featuring an expansive 18-hole course, a driving range, and even a mini-golf course. The undulating greens are open to all without the need for membership. Visitors can enjoy a round of golf for varying rates depending on the day of the week. Additionally, the park offers a family-friendly bistro with a seasonal menu and an alfresco setting perfect for enjoying views of the lush parkland and city skyline.
I had the pleasure of being able to have my wedding at Victoria park a month ago. It exceeded expectations. Right from the get go I had amazing communication from the wedding team at Victoria park, fast replies and being able to give me in depth information. I was out so at ease, they took care of most of the hard work for me and brought my vision to life. I’m so grateful for the amazing staff prior to the wedding and even more the staff on my wedding night! They were a ball of fun and looked after us so well. I didn’t even have to put in my drink order as soon as he saw me coming it was made up every time. The golf buggy was such a fun ride and the 2 drivers made it such a fun experience going off to our photos. The food was incredible. It was such a stress free, amazing time.

Visited on 16/05/2025 at 9:30 PM. While we tried to make the best of our time, our experience was negatively affected by the unprofessional conduct of the staff on duty. As first-time visitors, we explained that we were unfamiliar with how to play and kindly asked for instructions. Unfortunately, the young staff members laughed at our confusion instead of offering assistance. We were not provided basic materials like a scorecard or pen, which other groups had received, and there were no clear signs or instructions to follow. We had to observe others to understand how to play and keep score, which made the experience feel unwelcoming and poorly managed. Due to this disappointing level of service, we do not plan to return and will be making sure to let our community know of our experience here.

Amazing in-city public golf course. Exceptionally convenient location, plentiful parking (as long as you're prepared to walk a little distance and there were no special events), well-maintained grassland, great coaches and friendly staff. High tech equipment that track your hit and give you useful statistics.

I had the chance to visit Victoria Park Golf Driving Range in Herston, and I must say it’s one of Brisbane’s most unique inner-city spots for golf, fun, and relaxation. The location itself is perfect—just minutes from the CBD with plenty of free parking. As soon as you arrive, the setup feels impressive: a massive two-level driving range with more than 50 all-weather bays, all fitted with Toptracer technology. It’s not just about hitting balls; you can track your shots, play virtual courses, or challenge friends with fun games like long-drive contests and closest-to-the-pin. What really stands out is the atmosphere. Whether you’re a serious golfer working on your swing or just there for a social outing, it’s welcoming and relaxed. The Sip & Swing lounges are a fantastic option for groups—you get your own bay, unlimited balls, club hire, and food or drinks delivered straight to you. Perfect for parties, casual catch-ups, or even corporate events. The range is open day and night, and hitting under the floodlights with the Brisbane skyline views in the background is an experience on its own. There’s also an 18-hole mini golf course, a modern bistro and bar, and even a kids’ playground, so it’s not just for golfers—it’s a whole day or night out. Prices are reasonable considering the location and facilities. Buckets of balls start from around $19, and Sip & Swing packages are well worth it if you’re going with a group. If I had to mention a couple of small things—on busy weekend nights it does get packed, so booking ahead or visiting during the day is a smart idea. A few people also point out that the range balls aren’t always premium, but honestly, the fun and tech more than make up for it. Overall, Victoria Park Driving Range is more than just a golfing spot—it’s a vibrant, social, and family-friendly destination. Whether you’re a local, a tourist, or just looking for something different to do in Brisbane, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Nice range and as a bonus the technology makes it fun but also easy to review your shots. Large store ranging from clubs, accesories and merch. Grip change service and free mini putting green inside.

Been here for functions, putt putt and the bistro. As long as you get in at a reasonable time to grab a park it's great. Not too far to walk from any parking area. We thoroughly enjoyed joining in for the Halloween putt putt recently.

Really good driving range, awesome bistro attached, great mini golf. The only down side is how busy it gets but that’s to be expected with a place that’s situated itself well. It’s great having the membership for cheaper buckets. The training is good here too, will always be a good local spot

Absolute banger of a spot! Great for a date night with mini golf and even better to take the boys to the driving range and have a swing. Also busy but never too crowded. I would recommend coming here if you want something a little different.

Nestled within the Brookfield Gardens in the beautiful suburb of Brookfield, Wild Canary Bistro offers a unique dining experience against a garden backdrop. The bistro serves locally sourced breakfast and lunch dishes, featuring an interesting menu with options like Persian camel feta. Visitors can also enjoy Allpress coffee and indulge their sweet tooth with the famous cakes. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, guests can savor their meals while overlooking the vast kitchen garden.
We dined at 12:00 on Easter Sunday - there was a 15% surcharge, which was fair. We had booked the night before. They were busy and it would surprise me if they were spare tables. The setting, inside the nursery, was lush and beautiful. We sat outside and it was very comfortable. The menu was heavily weighted towards local produce and was very health oriented, without being exclusionary. It was broad and I had trouble choosing. There were plenty of beverage choices as well. The staff were super friendly and attentive, taking our drinks order immediately and they arrived soon after, at which time we ordered our food. It also arrived very quickly. My beautiful wife had the pumpkin soufflé and it was light and tasty. I had the duck and it was delicious, without being drowned in sauce. Both of our dishes were magnificently presented. We were drawn in by the dessert cabinet. My wife had an apple cake that was firm and delicious. I had the chocolate cake and it was soft and warm, like a hug from grandma. When we finished, we strolled the nursery and came way with many wonderful plants at fair prices. This was a supreme experience.

Inside the garden centre, this restaurant/bistro is lovely and atmospheric. We had coffee and a Wild Canary Breakfast each, and initially thought the offering for $33 was small, but it was layered and surprisingly filling. It was also delicious. The staff were lovely and attentive and even though it was cold, the outdoor heater kept us toasty. I would return.

Had breakfast here over the weekend. Whilst it is quite busy, the service was good. The woman who served us was very polite, prompt and friendly. The food was very nice, and the Turkish Dipping Eggs (+side of bacon) was probably one of the nicer meals I've had for breakfast in a long time. Coffee was good, although maybe a bit hotter than I'd have liked but certainly prefer a hot coffee to a cold one. The only slight downside comes from where we sat and the acoustics of the room. There was a rather loud (and obnoxious) woman at the other end of the room. She was certainly hard to miss. But once she left the room/atmosphere was much nicer. I'd certainly recommend coming here for breakfast and or coffee.

A lovely, relaxed spot to enjoy a meal, with plenty of happy dogs alongside their owners creating a cheerful atmosphere. The food itself was very good, though unfortunately the chips didn’t arrive until about 15 minutes after we’d finished the rest of our meal.

Had a lovely family brunch. I had the Buddha Bowl. Wow, a standout dish. Everyone had envy, and next time, I am sure everyone will be ordering this. Another visit to the newly renovated Bistro. You need to book as it is "PACKED". Two of us had the special of the Guinness Pies (loaded with delicious meaty goodness) and there was also the twice cooked soufflé. Delicate, tasty and beautifully presented. Shared a generous serve of fat fries. Every time we come here we say we should come here more often as the Brookfield garden Centre is so enjoyable to walk around before and after and the food is perfect..

The restaurant's inviting atmosphere complements its carefully curated dishes, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts.
Amazing! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. 10/10. Emily was lovely, and even being short-staffed provided such friendly service that runs rings around many other restaurants. Food was super delicious. Wonderful flavours. It was so good I couldn’t leave without trying dessert, despite being full. Every dish was simply beautiful in both presentation and taste. I look forward to eating here again soon.

Our long awaited visit did not disappoint in any way! Beautiful fresh food, great size servings and attentive service. Emily was a pleasure to meet and Liliana ensured we were served our lychee martini drinks and dinner with a friendly smile. Duck spring rolls, pork bao buns, prawn and duck wontons were mouth watering tasty starters followed by pork belly, rice, and duck curry was soooo good! We are looking forward to returning for the amazing sounding crab! See you again soon!

I would very happily come back. Our two wait staff we had on last night were fabulous, genuine and thoughtful. The food was delicious and you do not leave hungry. Highly recommend for groups. Seating is under cover outdoors. We liked all dishes we tried, calamari toast, dumplings are flavourful, the peking duck was moist and plentiful, wagyu beef special delicious. They also have a good selection of wines that pair nicely with Asian cuisine.

Before we even started eating, the service from Emily and her staff was super welcoming :) the Signature crab was insanely flavourful, fresh and sweet- so yummy to eat with the mantou ☺️☺️☺️ The duck was cooked perfectly. Basque taro cheesecake was SO YUM. A very enjoyable experience overall, we had such a fun time and the staff take good care of you ☺️☺️☺️ I will think about this meal every day for a while 😂

We had a superb modern Asian meal at Emily Yeoh Restaurant on Saturday night. Every mouthful and every sip was divine. Staff were friendly, attentive, helpful and professional. By the end of the night, we felt like family and will most definitely return. It was absolutely a 5-star dining experience for us! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fantastic would be an understatement. Before we even ordered food, the hospitality was amazing. There were two of us, a little indecisive, we ordered far too much food and we were moved to a larger table 😂 We had the crab, duck curry, and several entrees. Everything was beautifully flavoured and the crab is a must - we had been missing Singaporean chilli crab and Emily’s crab succeeded expectations. Definitely coming back again ☺️

We had a delightful lunch at Emily Yeoh's in Paddington. We began with the classic salt and pepper calamari, followed by the Hainanese Chicken Rice. The chicken was poached to perfection, and the rice was beautifully fragrant. For dessert, we savoured the watermelon cake, which was wonderfully soft and moist, along with a selection of 8 pieces of Nyonya kuih. The kuih was enjoyable and just the right level of sweetness. The service was outstanding—professional and efficient. Liliana was an excellent host, warm, friendly and attentive, and the rest of the staff were equally impressive. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.

Okay I’m back with another one. Been a while but oh this place deserves 10 stars. The best tofu IVE EVER EATEN. So soft but the crunch wow. Edamame was phenomenal and absolutely delicious. The spice, the juice, tasty doesn’t even begin to describe this entree. Duck curry. TRY IT. It’s not something I would ever be able to make at home so this was incredibly delicious, packed full of flavour. With might I add the most perfectly cooked duck. Freshest crab in Brisbane. My partner said this was the best crab he’s ever eaten. So that’s saying something given he’s a massive foody. A combination of sauce, tender meat, he ate it like a cave man eating his first meal 😂 devoured. “It’s like making love to your misses on Christmas night” as my partner said. Anyways this place deserves so much more recognition than I probably can give but if you see this try it. There is no disappointment in this restaurant or food or anything. Thank you so much for being our chef Emily

The Maillard Project is a new specialty coffee spot in Brisbane's CBD, created by the legends from Coffee Anthology. It offers a multi-sensory experience with its cafe, roastery, and training hub on Charlotte Street. The project focuses on education and experimentation, serving as both a cafe and an education center for coffee enthusiasts and aspiring baristas to refine their skills.
Delightful spot in the city. Killed a bit of time just after they opened with a great pastry and perfect coffee. The staff are warm and courteous, and the fit out is pretty stunning. Total class.

Excellent coffee with knowledgeable, friendly staff. Tried their 1+1+1 coffee which allows you to sample the beans as an expresso, white coffee, and a cold brew. The latte art by the barista is out of this world - she pulled a seahorse AND unicorn! Delightful experience in a modern cafe layout.
Jerry W — Google review
The Maillard Project has some excellent coffee beans — especially their single origin Omni roasts, which are fresh, flavourful, and well-roasted. You can really taste the distinct notes in the cup. I usually prefer to buy online or request in advance before visiting, as that works better for me. In terms of service, my experiences have been mixed. On one visit, I was impressed by a friendly and knowledgeable staff member who took the time to guide me and explain the beans in detail. Unfortunately, on several other occasions, another staff member was not welcoming or helpful, and didn’t offer much support in navigating different options based on my taste — something I would expect, especially as a regular customer. Also worth mentioning: I’ve never been able to sit and enjoy coffee here. One time, I brought my charger and asked if I could use an outlet while having a coffee, but the request was refused, even though I regularly buy beans from them. I respected their policy, but I left and went to another nearby coffee shop instead. Overall, I won’t be coming here to drink coffee, but I will continue to buy beans from time to time while I’m in Brisbane — the quality of the beans is truly worth it.
Ziyad A — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tried out Maillard Project Coffee and was really impressed! ☕ Regular Flat White (Cherry Flavor) – Smooth and well-balanced, with a delicate fruity note of cherry that gave the cup a refreshing twist without overpowering the coffee’s natural richness. The milk texture was silky and the latte art beautifully done. ☕ 1+1+1 Tasting Set (Chocolate Flavor Beans) – A fantastic experience for coffee lovers! The set came with espresso, flat white, and iced filter, all showcasing the same beans in different expressions. The chocolate-toned beans really shone through – bold and rich in the espresso, creamy and mellow in the flat white, and refreshingly crisp in the iced filter. It was fascinating to taste the range of flavors in one sitting. Great concept, excellent execution, and friendly service – definitely worth a visit for anyone who wants to experience specialty coffee in Brisbane. As my preference is the strong roasted coffee beans like typical coffee lovers, it was an impressive experience with a paddle of different coffee style from the same roasted coffee although overall espresso for milks appears to be a bit milder. Friendly staffs, bright and cozy contemporary cafe style and an open area were another view points to visit here
JIM L — Google review
Right in the heart of Brisbane’s city, this café has built a reputation as a go-to spot for coffee lovers who appreciate quality and craft. The focus here is clearly on precision and flavour, with baristas who take pride in brewing coffee that highlights the beans’ unique character. You can even choose from different brewing methods, which adds a nice personal touch to the experience. The cup itself may be on the smaller side, but the flavour more than makes up for it – smooth, bright, and with just the right hint of acidity that gives it a refreshing edge. It’s the kind of coffee that lingers on your palate and makes you want to order a second round just to savour it again. The atmosphere matches the city buzz: modern, stylish, and always humming with energy. It’s popular with locals and workers on their coffee breaks, but also welcoming for anyone wanting to sit down and enjoy their drink at a slower pace. If you’re exploring Brisbane’s CBD and want to taste coffee made with genuine care and attention to detail, this café is well worth a stop. Small in serve but big in flavour, it’s the sort of place that showcases why Brisbane’s coffee scene has such a strong following.
Yoshy Y — Google review
I was walking past and I came across this magnificent café entirely by chance, when I saw the giant coffee roasting machine in the front window. Decided to pop in for a quick flat white, and my god, it was one of the best coffees I've ever had in my life! The flat white had a beautiful fruity taste to it, and a subtle natural sweetness, which is right up my alley. I asked the barista about it, and entirely by chance, the owner and roaster, Adam, was seated next to me. We started talking about all things coffee, the types of beans they have, the sort of coffee experience they aim to offer, etc.. It was a remarkable experience, and I'm so stoked I decided to randomly pop in. From the coffee itself, to the service, I highly recommend this place to all coffee lovers. And a special cheers to Adam for taking the time to chat to me and for making my experience that much more memorable!

Absolutely perfect spot for breakfast, especially with a large group! The food was delicious, and we were impressed with how efficiently everything was handled — even with our big party, both food and drinks arrived quickly. Highly recommend for great food and smooth service!

Coffee was excellent. At $40 for big breakfast and coffee place is expensive compared to other places in the area. Service was good, fast and polite at counter. Kitchen took 30 minutes to prepare breakfast - far too long. Kitchen appears to prioritise take away and delivery orders. The breakfast when it arrived was sound. Eggs and bacon and beans were cooked well. The tomato was burnt and the mushrooms bland, tasted like they were tinned. Toast could have been buttered, or butter offered. Overall place was fine but certainly not hard to find better, probably will not return for anything but coffee.

For a delightful breakfast without long queues or overcrowding, this is the place to go. We ordered three dishes: toasted chicken & cheese sandwich, honey roasted pumpkin salad and smashed avocado on sourdough. We decided to pair our meal with some refreshing ice cream cocktails (vanilla, caramel & strawberry). The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, served immediately with a smile. The cozy atmosphere added to the experience, making it a pleasant start to the morning.

Upon my recent visitation to Jak + Hill, nestled quaintly along the charming precinct of Astor Terrace in Brisbane, I found myself enveloped in a gustatory experience so profound, it bordered on the transcendent. This establishment, with its aesthetically pleasing interior and aura of understated sophistication, is a veritable sanctuary for the discerning brunch enthusiast. I partook in a breakfast ensemble of such exquisite composition that I remain, days later, utterly rhapsodic. The scrambled eggs, luxuriously silken and folded with masterful delicacy, were paired with high-protein baked beans—a leguminous delight that did more than satisfy my nutritional ambitions; they exhilarated my bowels with an enthusiastic vigor rarely encountered in the realm of breakfast cuisine. The balance of savoury robustness and subtle herbaceous undertones within the beans spoke to an intentionality often absent in such humble fare. Equally commendable was the fried sausage, a torpedo of umami that yielded to the bite with an oral tenderness so profound, it could only be described as culinary euphoria. Its succulence was not of the greasy, over-seasoned ilk one dreads at lesser establishments, but rather a carefully calibrated dance of fat, spice, and proteinaceous bliss. Service, too, was rendered with courteous efficiency and an air of quiet competence. The staff navigated the morning rush with an elegance that betrayed no stress—only a sincere commitment to their patrons’ comfort and satisfaction. In summation, Jak + Hill does not merely serve breakfast; it curates a morning ritual imbued with warmth, nourishment, and an almost spiritual sense of contentment. I departed not only satiated, but rejuvenated, and dare I say, existentially realigned. A triumph.

Nice place for brunch. Breakfast board is always my go to when I come here with someone. However there were several issues I found from last visit. Avocado wasn't mashed properly and some of them were not ripe that I couldn't enjoy the ultimate creamy texture. And the size of the bread decreased conspicuously since my last visit. Despite those issues, overall, my experience here was pretty good. Beverage was great. Coffee wasn't too bad. Service wise....it depends on staff member. I'd definitely visit again to try some other.

We are absolutely over the moon with the incredible catering provided for our wedding! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to create not only stunningly beautiful dishes but also incredibly delicious ones. Tucked away in a quiet residential street, this café feels like a little hidden sanctuary where design and comfort meet. The space is beautifully put together, with a modern yet welcoming style that flows through every detail, giving it a calm and cohesive atmosphere. There’s a choice of seating both inside and out, so you can enjoy your coffee in the airy, stylish interior or relax outdoors and soak up the neighbourhood vibe. It’s the kind of spot where you could happily linger with a book or catch up with a friend over a long chat. The coffee is smooth and well-balanced, just the right pick-me-up without being overpowering. What really elevates the experience, though, are the cakes – beautifully presented, light, and full of flavour. Pairing a slice with your coffee makes for a perfect afternoon treat. Because it’s tucked in a suburban area, it has a relaxed and community-friendly feel that you don’t always get in the busier parts of Brisbane. Parking is usually straightforward, making it easy to drop by. Locals clearly love it for both its great coffee and its welcoming atmosphere, and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to whenever you’re in the mood for something simple yet special.

Ordered Turkish Eggs, Sourdough Toast with Avocado and Sunny Side up egg and Brioche Fresh Toast along with Iced Coffee and Pink Juice. The food was absolutely delicious and one of the most amazing Turkish eggs in Brisbane. Recommend many friends but then unfortunately they have removed it from the menu now. Did try to ask staff for the recipe and even tried to reach out multiple times but no response received. Petition to at least know the recipe or if the item can be brought back to menu!

The overall atmosphere was really nice, and the staff were friendly. Although there weren’t many people when we visited, the food still took a bit long to arrive. That said, I still highly recommend the chicken and kimchi bowl — I personally thought it was delicious!

Nice little cafe overall. My partner and I grabbed some breakfast on a Sunday morning and the food was pretty tasty. The cold juices were so refreshing and delicious. I would say that the waffle in the waffle Benedict was maybe overly sweet considering its egg, spinach, hollandaise, and bacon toppings, and could be a bit more plain (this may be personal opinion though). However, the main reason why this rating was a 4/5 is due to the 40+ minute wait we had. The staff were kind though, and the atmosphere of the place was lovely.

I popped in for brunch with a group of eight. I ordered first, but everyone else got their meals well before mine. After waiting 30 plus minutes, I checked in with staff—first she said my order was “on its way”, then she claimed my card had declined (when it hadn’t—my coffee and payment were both processed and appear on my bank statement). Eventually, while everyone finished their meals, my meal finally arrived cold, with rock‑hard eggs and soggy bacon. It cost $36, which I consider wasted. I request a full refund to my card within 7 business days. If not, I’ll contact QLD Fair Trading. Update: I replied to the owners comment via email and no response. I'll be contacting fair trading.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cute and bright! I loved the option to dine in an open space, and everything was clean and modern. I shared the Waffle Benedict and American Blueberry & Ricotta Pancakes. Personally, none of the dishes stood out and tasted adequately - for example, the chicken was on the dry side and was quite a heavy dish, whilst the pancakes were bland and the fruit did not seem too fresh. However, both dishes looked extremely delicious and were presented in an elegant and gorgeous manner.

Yolk is a popular breakfast spot in Brisbane, known for its perfect bacon and egg rolls, hearty sides, 5 Senses coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Located conveniently at Gasworks, it's a great grab-and-go option for both weekdays and weekends. The cafe also offers healthier alternatives like chilli scrambled eggs on papaya salad for those looking to make better choices.
I ordered their Steak & Egg Roll with a fresh orange juice and two hash browns. The portion was very generous, and the price was reasonable! The steak was perfectly tender, super juicy, and there was plenty of it. Paired with a runny egg and melted cheese, it was absolutely satisfying! Their fresh orange juice is super refreshing—perfect for summer! The hash browns were also surprisingly good. I highly recommend adding chicken salt for extra flavor. They weren’t greasy at all, making them even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d revisit! 👍

Love the breakfast it was light and delicious. Had papaya salad and bacon and egg roll. However, the iced almond latte was watery. Having Campos cafe next door, there is no comparison. Next time I’d order their food but coffee will be from Campos. Service was minimal since it was a fast paced cafe which we understand. But overall loved the food.

We go here every morning for coffee, and it is always so good. The quality of the coffee is always so consistent and the staff are so friendly. One of the best cafes in the area.

The burger here is delicious! Very big! A little bit oily tho. Iced latte is a bit light. The environment is relaxing and pet-friendly.

Good location, convenient, coffee was pretty good but that’s where it ends. If you go here, coffee and a cookie is perfect. I ordered a proper breakfast and just wasn’t impressed with a paper/cardboard bowl, cardboard knife and forks that I could barely eat with. The food was also very plain/bland, not even knife and forks on the table. The staff were overall pretty nice! This place has a fantastic location and given everything is gluten free they could become a real hot spot, just a few changes I would recommend they make that would definitely boost the business. If it was more comfortable for dining in, I’d be there 1-2 times a week like clockwork.

We stopped here after our Sunday morning bike ride for coffee and croissants. The coffee was good but Yolk do not have plain croissants, no problem, they pointed us to across the mall towards the bakery. Good service, plus Yolk also has a wide range of snacks.

i am critically obsessed with their fresh squeezed orange juice. like .... it's perfect. i'm there way too often just for OJ. hits the spot. it won't matter to everyone but the takeaway cups are just the best size & the straws are good too!!! (although i have ocd and would prefer the staff put the straw in instead of having to sift through the public straw container... germs!! but that's all g) back to the oj review. perfect amount of ice with the OJ. these things matter to me. ily yolk keep up that amazing OJ!!!!!!
