I went here with my friends, and we really enjoyed the food. The ramen was so comforting and flavourful, it’s in my opinion the best ramen place in Brisbane, though I haven’t tried too many places. It’s definitely much more of a casual place, but workers were nice and friendly.

I tried the Fire Tonkotsu and Takoyaki, and both were quite good. The Fire Tonkotsu had a nice level of spiciness — flavorful and creamy without being too heavy. The broth was satisfying and enjoyable to the last sip. The Takoyaki was also pretty good: crispy outside, soft inside, with a decent piece of octopus in the middle. A classic, comforting side dish. The service was okay — polite and efficient, nothing outstanding but matched the casual vibe of the place.

Ordered the weekly special uni ramen and normal tonkotsu ramen. I think I heard too many compliments about it hence I might have a little more expectation from it. Ramen was ok, nothing special, (I can’t even remember the taste by now, went there 3 days ago). Everything is self serviced. Atmosphere is ok for a small shop.

I ordered the truffle ramen, it is very good. But my wife ordered the tonkotsu ramen, we noticed that it is a new recipe now, and she thinks it is too blank compared to the original recipe.

Visited on a Saturday night around 7 pm. The place was empty, and unfortunately, the ramen was disappointing — served in a chipped bowl, with undercooked meat, only half an egg, and very little soup, leaving half of the bowl empty. For $22, it really wasn’t worth it.

We came here this evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was such a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavor. The staff were warm and attentive, especially Melissa, who took great care of us throughout our visit. She made the night even more special with her outstanding service. We’ll definitely be coming back.

We enjoyed the mouthwatering beef, soft shell crab, Moreton Bay bug dumplings, and the swordfish — all of which were absolutely amazing. For dessert, we had the fried ice cream, and to our surprise, the team treated us to a delicious chocolate cigar to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Such a thoughtful touch to end a perfect meal. The only down side was the service was a little slow.

The restaurant is elegant, quiet (on Tuesday lunch) and a bit dim with the lighting. Staff is friendly and welcoming, stayed attentive of us throughout the dining. We had - Peach Oolong (Fragrant but stale) - Mung bean jelly noodle (It was good and refreshing, especially with the warm weather now) - Crispy pork belly (Very crispy and the fat was distributed beautifully, the pickled veggie went really well with the pork) - Xiao Long Bao (so-so, disappointed that it did not served with vinegar & ginger) - Dim Sum Set (Not recommended; the chef did not inform us that Xiao Long Bao is included as well, the Siu Mai & Hargow included are very dry that Coles microwavable ones are better) Overall it’s a nice dining spot as the historical building, but considering the price, you will find better spots for Chinese cuisine/Dim Sum in Brisbane :)

My husband love this restaurant so he booked the table there for our anniversary. - steak tartare was amazing - chicken was nice - fish was okay but it could be better - the dimsum was horrible - the dumpling was better than dimsum but still not good Spend total over $200 and I was so upset on how everything came out. Waiting so long for the dumpling & dimsum to come after the entree. So long until we don’t want to keep going anymore and ask the waiter to pack it to takeaway for us instead. Definitely not gonna go back again. 😔😔😔

Came here for the occasion of my son’s birthday. Food was excellent! Must also say the best dim sum I ever found in town. It was on a public holiday and a Sunday too, so service was not totally up to the expected standards but we still had a great fine dinning experience in Brisbane. Will be back for more for sure 👍

The experience and service we received from Donna Chang and her staff was exceptional to say the least. From the initial response to our company’s dinner enquiry to leaving the restaurant on the night, we felt welcomed and that we were indeed receiving 5 star treatment. From the back office booking staff, specifically Meredith and our main server for the night Hugo, we felt that the process went smoothly, and every request catered to. The room décor provided our team with a cozy, relaxed, yet exquisite atmosphere to enjoy the banquet which was served throughout the night in a timely manner. The food itself was excellent with a fusion of various Asian and European flavors and our vegetarian guests were pleasantly surprised with high quality options they were provided. Hugo was excellent in his attentiveness and politeness and was able to cater to the various cocktail requests our team had. The wine was exquisite also with a few guests selecting several reds to accompany their dishes. I highly recommend Donna Chang’s restaurant as a ‘go to’ if you’re seeking Asian fine dining in Brisbane’s CBD along with a charming atmosphere to enjoy with friends and family.

The food here like most Asian fusion restaurants is a bit of a hit or miss. Some of the dishes were really good, namely the Szechuan tartare, Xiao long bao, and especially the spicy wontons. Some dishes however were a little subpar, especially for the price. The crispy pork belly was honestly a bit dry, and an odd combo. The Wagyu short rib in sauce was soft but not very fatty. And the Dan Dan noodles were slightly too sweet. The service however was nice and friendly and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful.

Had a great experience at Trang Restaurant in West End! There was only one service staff on, but she was absolutely fantastic – friendly, efficient, and handled the whole dining room with ease. The food was on point, especially the pho soups – rich, flavourful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. We ordered enough to feed two adults and two kids, and the total came to around $100, which was great value for the quality and portion sizes. Definitely a spot we’ll be visiting again!

We had yummy lunch at Trang restaurant. We tried combination beef noodle soup, spring rolls, salts and peppers deep fried Tofu, vegetarian noodle soups and tri colour Vietnamese desserts. All yummy and happy.

We had the vegetarian laksa with wantong and veggies. The flavours were traditional and spot on, with generous portions and very attentive service.

Absolutely love Trang!! I’ve been coming for years. Food is exceptional. They cater for vegans really well. Staff are always friendly and I love the simple old school setting. Not fancy just delicious food and great fast service. 🙏

To be honest food is delicious dan great value for money. We really enjoy their beef and dried noodles though. On my first visited it is awesome experience but this time seems like they didn’t maintenance their place really well. Floor was very dirty seems like never swept and flies everywhere. If outside was like this I was wondering how’s about in the back. I recommend this place to my bf but when we were there he said “you will get sick when you eat on dirty place like this”. I hope the owner can maintain restaurant better so customer would be happy to come back because food is really delicious just poorly maintained.

Amazing vegan options and fantastic service! The food is so fresh and there are many healthy options. We ordered a vegan duck vermicelli noodle bowl and a bean curd stir fry. So yummy!!! 🤩

A nearby our hotel's Vietnamese eatery, food is ok good for breakfast to start a day. Service is nice.

We came here in lunch time, the shop is extremely busy. So its take sometimes on the queue. We order pho and spring roll. Pho is about 7/10, the rice noodle and beef is good. Just the taste of soup base is slightly not strong enough. Spring roll 8/10, very crispy and juicy. I could not command on about service level, as its on busy lunch time at weekdays, so no exceptional on service. One of an good option in city for casual meal.

We came around dinner time, party of 2, and were seated pretty fast. It was definitely busy, and the food was justification why! The pho and Hainan chicken were both so good.

This place doesn't look fancy, but the Pho noodle they offer is really good, the broth is delicious and spring rolls are great too, it's even better than the one i had in Vietnam recently! Will definitely revisit in future.

I just keep coming back here with my friends or colleagues , I can confidently say that Hakataya Ramen consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. Especially during the colder months, their rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles offer warmth and comfort in every bowl. It’s a must-try this winter.

I’ve been living in Australia for over six years, and I love exploring good restaurants. But this was by far the most terrible experience I’ve ever had in terms of taste, customer service, and hygiene. The staff didn’t bother to serve the food and just shouted the order number. The bowls and spoons were filthy with food residue still stuck on them. The soup and oil didn’t mix at all, leaving a disgusting flavor. The extra noodles were overcooked and soggy, almost like a block. Paying $20 for this was a complete waste. I will never come back here again. Honestly, I have no idea how this place has a rating over 4 stars — it makes me wonder who’s writing those reviews.

After 25+ years of enjoying Hakataya Ramen’s pork stock soup ramen 1st time at Gold Coast & then Sunnybank QLD, the quality & taste at Brisbane city are still amazing & delicious! Not salty at all! Very flavorsome soup, delicious noodles & fresh ingredients. Now Hakataya Ramen have branches in many places. Thank you Team Hakataya Ramen.

Their Hakata broth was awesome but they cut the meat too thin. They offered 4 menu only. If you were hungry and it's past dinner time, this place operated until 10PM.

Food was absolutely delicious!! I would have liked a little more meat in my Ramon, but it was so good, my soul left my body and went to heaven momentarily. The location made me think I was about to enter an illegal fight club, as it was underground, but the atmosphere once we entered was really warm and lovely. It was also so quick. We barely for 5 minutes. Going back again for dinner.

Since the Myer store has closed, my colleague and I decided to visit this place again after almost 2 years. As always, the food was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed a satisfying lunch. It appeared to be a busy Thursday, so there was a short wait before we were seated. I also happened to meet the cute Korean boy staff again after a long time, which was a pleasant surprise and may encourage me to visit more often. However, the dining area felt somewhat warm and slightly stuffy.

Stumbled upon this ramen shop and we were very happy with the food. The black champion ramen was great - flavourful and noodles were cooked well. The ramen egg was perfection - the bright gel-like consistency of the yolk is gorgeous! But the stand out is definitely their pork - both in its ramen and rice bowl form. The pork is smokey in flavour, which matches the slight lightness of the broth. I will come back definitely to just have more of that soft, smokey pork. Delish!

Ordered a Shashu Don and the portion is pretty small portion for $15.9, using the spoon as the scale. The bowl size is between the soup bowl and ramen bowl. I tried their ramen a couple times and the portion is also small. The Ramen price has increased to $20+ Rice bowl is $16-$19, but the portion is not reasonable. Service is nice. Taste is pretty good, but the portion size needs to be improved.

Must be pretty busy just before we got there, a quite a few empty tables but all are not cleaned from the previous seating. Order was easy and quick. Karaage had good flavour but was quite salty in the chicken itself, the dipping sauce was quite refreshing to break down the saltiness. We ordered the champion with extra egg and the miso. Both are thin noodles. Eggs was nice and soft. Toppings were generous however the soup were on the quite oily side, hence we couldn’t finish it, though it’s thick with flavour. That’s just personal opinion.

A dynamite Japanese experience of ramen, karage, gyoza and rice. Japanese beers available. The champion ramen challenge is $95. I enjoyed the spicy ramen - very hot!

Ordered black champion ramen - $22.90 ($23.29 because of surcharge) for such a small portion, tasty broth but definitely not worth it considering standard prices. Only one half of an egg 😭

Ramen Champion is located in Sunnypark shopping centre alongside some other Asian restaurants. There is a lot of parking available. Here’s what we got : • Black Champion ($14.50) • Miso Champion ($14.90) • Karaage ($8.50) You can get free extra noodles upto 2 times! Both ramen were quite good but I’d say my favourite was the karaage 🤣 The portion size of the ramen was was very good for the price, considering that you could get free noodles as well. The staff was very nice and welcoming, and the restaurant had a nice ambience with seating available both inside and outside 🙌

God service and atmosphere. Ramen tonkatsu broth does have the flavour but lacks the saltiness. The chicken karrage got too much frying powder and ?maybe not enough frying time .. can actually taste the powder. A place to eat when there are no craving for any other types of food.

Large restaurant on Paddington’s Main Street. Our meals (stir fry chicken & beef strip stir fry) were tasty. Service time was good.

We recently used Ngon to help cater my Dad’s funeral for 180 people. They did an amazing job and took care of it all, even cleaned up! It was one less thing to worry about on a day that was already so stressful and emotional. The food was delicious, we had so many people rave about it. They also catered to gluten free and vegetarians very easily. We will definitely use them again.

This gem has attracted me back for the second time and I must say it exceeded the first time. Friendly staff to greet you and take your order. A good menu at a reasonable price. Nice Vietnamese restaurant to visit. The service was the standout of the night as we received our food quickly and the waiter even confirmed an order for a person who wasn’t with us at the time of ordering, which was lovely. The restaurant is nicely designed and has a lot of interesting features, but the main letdown was the upstairs gym, whereby weightlifters dropping their weights sounded like bombs being dropped. It would’ve been nice if there was a sign to warn customers, as I know it’s not entirely preventable. The food was exciting, especially the prawns with young rice, and the sizzling beef (see video). However, I found my garlic and ginger prawn to be slightly lacking flavour and seasoning. Overall a good place to take the family.

It was a family birthday and we let them know in advance. They were so prepared for us coming and gave us a well placed table for our celebration. Greeting was so welcoming. Well cared for. Great menu and food was lovely. Service very timely and were not rushed to order as guests arrived. Enjoyed ourselves so much I forgot photos for a review.

Nice selection of dishes with great flavours. I wouldn’t say the food was top-notch, but for the price you are paying, you get something of value. Most of the dishes are priced around the $30 mark which is pretty average for anywhere in CBD now. The portion sizes and the quality was quite good for the price ✨ We ordered quite a few dishes including the deluxe seafood pad thai, bo luc lac, xa xiu and the seafood laksa. We were quite happy with the food ✅ The service was great and the food arrived very quickly 💯 Note: They are located INSIDE the casino so remember to bring your ID with you

Had a pleasant experience at Fat Noodle. The laksa was creamy and fragrant, but not very generous with the seafood. The salt and pepper squid presentation was great but was bland and not as crispy as expected. Service was friendly and the setting is stylish, but overall the food didn’t have that wow factor. Portions were on the smaller side for the price. Still a decent spot for a casual meal if you're nearby.

Great atmosphere, very friendly host, greeted us and is very knowledgeable about their food and drinks! They have the special at the moment, food was super delicious at a totally affordable price! (Lots of vegetarian choices too on the menu!) Service is fast and nice, variety of beverages is great too! Will definitely recommend to anyone!

I really enjoyed my seafood laksa. I noted the reviews and asked for extra chilli & it was perfect. Not cheap but a large serve. My friends pad thai arrived at least 15 minutes after mine & it’s uncomfortable if you are the only one eating. Need to organise things better but I would come again for the laksa Then again, maybe not as I couldn’t stand the casino!!! It’s like a loud circus where people show off their appalling manners with zero filters in place

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The service was impeccable, the food came out that fast I was pleasantly shocked. Favourite was satay chicken- would 1000% recommend this! Portion sizes were value for money and the food itself was very good!

TIP FOR FIRST TIME VISITORS: this restaurant is located INSIDE the casino. Most staff around the Star don’t know where Fat Noodle is so just ask where the casino is and casino staff can then advise where Fat Noodle is. Went here with my mother for the lunar new year package ($168 for two), it was good overall (good and fast service, clean restaurant) but I didn’t like the food, so most likely won’t be back. Maybe I’m just not used to Vietnamese cuisine but the dishes we ate were overly sweet, including dishes that I really didn’t think should have been that sweet, such as the seafood soup and beef salad. This isn’t a case of me not liking a bit of sweetness in savoury meals - I love dried cranberries in salads and love pineapple on pizza, even if that makes me a heathen, and I love the sweetness of inari sushi. Here though the degree to which the soup and beef salad were sweet was just too much. It was the main flavour. I can recommend the mango trifle and the pork belly. The chicken was okay, I didn’t remember it being that flavourful and we ended up just taking most of it home.

Had my first experience here on Saturday night for a girls night dinner for a friends birthday. I can’t lie, I am more of a pub girl when it comes to food and was a little skeptical as to whether I would enjoy the more fine dining experience. I walked out of there unable to rate it higher!! The view was amazing, the staff were spectacular, the cocktails beautiful and the food, oh my god, the food was to die for!! So full of flavour and such an interesting menu!! We had some entrees, mains and desserts and us ladies all shared so we could try more of the foods. Stand out was definitely the duck and the bug meat, but honestly it was all amazing.

I went with my partner, and we loved everything! The architecture of the new place is beautiful, and the staff were very friendly. We had the banquet 2, and it was absolutely amazing!! every dish was both beautiful and full of flavor. We enjoyed every bite. Big shoutout to this place!

A couple of dishes were very salty. Nice views on the balcony. Food were slow during peak hour? (8-9pm) took one hour for main dishes to arrive. We didn’t like the duck bao. The table was too small to fit 4 people and all the plates. Overall we had an enjoyable night, service was attentive.

Asian Fusion, did not disappoint. From the Oysters to the Prawn Toast, Ceviche starter to the Main Course, Steamed Murray Cod and the Pork all deliciously good. I thought the service lacked the attention that the prices betray. Bottom line $330 for three Impressive Asian Fusion in ideal spot by the River.

Been to Madame Wu multiple times and it never dissapoint. Few changes on there Banquet 1 menu but did not disappoint. Can’t pick a fave everything was delicious. Service always great. Excellent view of the river and story bridge. FYI, they will be close for refurbishment till mid-July 2025. Something to look forward to.

Made a booking with Madam Wu for my boyfriend’s birthday. We both hadn’t been there before. The staff, service & food were absolutely amazing! Even my boyfriend said, the whole experience was exceptional! Will definitely dine here again.

Asian fusion with flavours inspired from Cantonese, Taiwanese and Korean cuisine. Most of the dishes were really well done. Scallops: cooked perfectly with a great balance of creamy and crunchy textures Fried chicken ribs: super crunchy in a light way. Seasoned well and it went perfectly with the sweet and tangy dipping sauce Spiced pork ribs: juicy and fragrant, great balance of savoury and sweet Cauliflower with gochujang cheddar: this was slightly disappointing - the cauliflower was still a bit crunchy, the mouth feel would've been better if it had been cooked longer. Under-seasoned and the gochujang flavour was way too subtle Poached chicken salad: great combo of flavours, chicken was beautifully cooked The service was fantastic - the young man who waited was attentive and good at anticipating what was needed. It was a great dining experience overall.

I’ve been multiple times and never not been impressed by the food. My recent visit was made extra special by our server, Amelia, who was so friendly and attentive. We were also gifted a free birthday drink which made the birthday girls night. We had the scallops, sweetcorn dumplings, fried rice and katsu chicken (possibly the best I’ve ever tasted).

They say third time lucky! Managed to get a reservation when friends were in town, to see if the gossip was true. Lucky to pick a not so busy night, we went with the banquet, mainly because there were so many choices! Definitely not your average Asian cuisine, really next level! Loved all the food, particular shout out to the wait staff, who looked after us without being intrusive nor forgetful. Hot tip is to make a booking. If you have trouble with stairs, be sure to let them know, as most of the tables are upstairs.

I am always amazed to watch how efficient Chu The Fat is considering how busy they always are. It’s like watching a well oiled machine. It is one of my favourite places to visit due to the food the friendly service and atmosphere. I’ve held a Christmas party with a good sized group and have also had a dinner for 2 and the experience is always consistent. If you haven’t Chu’d The Fat before, I’d highly recommend.

I wish as a single diner I could have tried the shared menu! The duck steamed buns were pillowy and paired well with the table served chili oil. I also had the Barramundi which was divine. Crispy on one side and soft and delicate throughout! The coconut curry sauce was drinkable, the flavors really stood out. I couldn’t eat what I ordered but really hoped to try the beef dish and pumpkin curry. Watching the dishes come out of the kitchen was a special treat.

Phenomenal Experience at Chu the Phat 🌟🌟🌟 We had the most incredible night at Chu the Phat! The atmosphere was vibrant, and every dish was bursting with flavour — perfectly cooked and timed to perfection. Our server Layla was an absolute star💫 — friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience effortless. 10/10 service! The cocktails were amazing too — especially the Sweet Cheeks, my new favourite 🍹. Fantastic food, great vibes, and impeccable service. We’ll definitely be back! 🙌

The wait time for food was very long for the banquet but there’s nothing the server could do about the wait on food, so to make up for it she offered us free drinks on the house which was so appreciated and helped keep us not too hungry.

We came here for a team dinner and it was pretty amazing. We had the $68 banquet. And I dont normally like Greek food but I was very impressed. The food was amazing and the service was excellent! The wait staff were really friendly and attentive. Im not sure if it was part of the service when you order a banquet but they cleared dirty plates and cutlery after the prawns dish and the main chicken dish, if there was mess or spills on the table they would clean that up too. Definitely felt like high end dining. We ordered the Full Greek banquet $68pp. King prawn saganaki, trahana and feta was delicious, the sauce it was in was delicious almost tasted abit like a curry, went really well with the pita bread. The chicken souvlakia was amazing, well seasoned, really tender and juicy, the potatoes with garlic and parsely were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with a slight hint of garlic - personally i think the potatoes could have been slightly smashed and it would be been even more amazing. Now im not usually a dessert person but the katoumari which was smashed filo with walnuts and cream was a perfect way to end the dinner. It was so light and tasty, the filo melts in your mouth with a perfect amount of sweetness. This was probably my favourite dessert.

Food was excellent and big servings! Need to book so you can choose your seat. We ordered FULL GREEK which is 65PP! However, I am lactose intolerant and needed to be gluten free. The restaurant has adjusted some of the food for me which I really appreciate! There has been some delays with the servers which maybe due to a lot of customers dining in. That’s why I rated 4. Which I must say can be improved. Atmosphere is also 4 coz the seats are too close to each other and its difficult when you stand up without bothering other people. It’s just feedback that can still be improved. Overall, the food is great and we enjoyed a lot. Hope to be back here soon!

Wonderful dinner at Greca tonight. Location and service both delightful, with lovely river views and warm, attentive staff. The food was excellent across the starters, sides, mains and desserts and the cocktail menu was varied and well enjoyed. The standout dish was the avgolemono pie for dessert, the lemon curd crumble and marshmallow meringue was a 10/10. Another great restaurant from the Apollo group!

What a fantastic night out! The location, staff & food are all great. Amazing location on the water, under the bridge w the bustle and energy of the ward precinct all around you. Great value for money too, so much food! We had a range of fresh seafood, bead & dips, lamb w potatoes & salad.

Me and my friends had the loveliest dinner at Greca during our stay in Brisbane. Food was tasty, fresh and worth the price. The fava dip with the pita bread is a must! Desserts were also good. But the best part was our waiter Jayden! He was super nice, giving us good recommendations and making our night x10 times better with how cheerful he was ✨

Beautiful restaurant & great service which makes up for the food. It’s delicious & cooked well, I just feel I’ve had better Greek food. That being said I’ve been twice and would come again because the vibe is nice and the staff are friendly.

Mixed review for Greca; food was yum and flavourful, with generous portions - we got the feast to share between 5, the lamb was tender and broke apart seamlessly. Special mention goes to the tartare which was beautifully tasty. 1 of our company got some liquid spilled on her from a plate that was being cleared, there was a dismissive apology, no napkins or offers to clean the spill were proffered. Our water glasses stopped getting refilled after awhile, and we struggled to get a server's attention.

My partner and I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant and tried the banquet which was good value for money. We got a lot of different dishes very tasty and few tommies Margaritas which was very good! The service was excellent in terms of customer service and waiting time. The venue is well located in the valley and has an urban style. Definitely we will go back. Highly recommended!

This place is hidden behind fairy lights and gives a modern industrial chic feel with a sprinkle of ethereal vibes. It is curated with menu items that are perfect for sharing/ communal style dining. That being said, it can get a bit loud and noisy. The prices are reasonable (if shared amongst multiple people) and the portions are generous. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and overall had a great dining experience. Would highly recommend!!

Went to happy boy for a celebratory banquet! The servers were lovely and very attentive, the mood lighting in the area we sat was lovely and made for a 5 star atmosphere, it felt very upper class. The food was good, but nothing was absolutely mind blowing. We had a large table so I got to try almost everything on the menu, and the stand outs were the honey chicken, pork belly with eggplant, and the green beans. Overall i think the food was just lacking the Chinese spices I love and felt a bit too westernised. Would go back again for the lovely vibes and good staff- especially as there is a diverse menu and good drink options.

We spent over $300 in food alone for a table of 4. We all walked out extremely happy and super full. The beef , the prawns, the tofu, the truffle fried rice and what ever else we had, (too many to remember ) were all amazing! Beautiful evening outside overlooking the buzz inside of people. An awesome dining experience with fabulous service we will be back for sure.

After visiting this place several times, I finally took some photos and thought I’d leave a review. It’s always busy, and you might have to wait a little for a table, though not for long (can’t say about weekend nights). The staff are always polite and professional. The space is bright, open, and welcoming, which makes the dining experience really enjoyable. The food is always fresh and tasty. Everything I’ve tried here has been great. Their lunch specials are also really good value for money.

This might be my new favorite restaurant in Brisbane! Every dish was so flavorful and delicious. Our waitress helped us make selections that were suitable for us being vegans and even tipped us off to the delicious vegan wontons that often get overlooked. Service was fabulous and fast, but glad we made a reservation on a Tuesday night. Make sure you try the green beans. Will definitely be coming back!

The service was nice (went on a busy Sunday for lunch) but the food felt overhyped- or maybe I went in with big expectations due to the reviews… The drinks were the standout I think. We ordered an iced coffee and an iced tea which were great! The food was all super fresh and oil free which was wonderful, however, the vermicelli salad lacked any flavour (barely any sauce or seasoning) and the spring rolls had zero taste- maybe missing some kind of garlicky chive onion?? The papaya salad was alright- slightly sweeter but lacked tang. Could’ve used some citrus perhaps? The rice paper rolls were okay- again, pretty standard- weren’t super packed but not the worst rolls I’ve ever had. Bahn mi had a pork crackling filling and wasn’t super authentic tasting. Overall would I return? No, I dont think so- but it was good to give it a go!

Had a lovely breakfast with my my this morning. We both had the clay pot and they were delicious. My mum mentioned her hot chocolate needed a tiny bit more chocolate, but my chocolate milkshake was quite nice

Their takeaway packaging is one of the best around secure, neat and thoughtfully presented, which adds a premium touch. That said, the price point is noticeably doubled in comparison to your average Vietnamese café. While the quality and presentation do help justify the cost, it may not be a regular option for everyone. It’s more of a treat than an everyday stop. Still, for those happy to pay a bit more for a refined, well-run Vietnamese food experience, O-mai delivers. It’s clear they take pride in doing things properly, from the food to the service and it shows.

I'm thrilled to share our repeated fantastic experiences at Cafe O-mai. Each visit, our brunch has been a scrumptious delight! The staff's swift service consistently leave a positive impression. The prompt arrival of both food and drinks, coupled with the hearty portions, never cease to impress us. Our choices, including the Vietnamese iced coffee and whole coconut, exceeded expectations. The crackling pork's tender texture and delectable crackling were standouts. The omelette bahn mi with chili provided a perfect balance of flavors, and we couldn't get enough of the chicken pho and rice noodle salad bowl with grilled lemongrass pork. However, it's worth noting that the cafe can get quite busy, leading to occasional noise levels. To fully relish your experience, we recommend booking ahead, especially during peak hours. Despite this, our enthusiasm remains undeterred, as we eagerly await our next visit. Without a doubt, we wholeheartedly recommend Cafe O-mai for an exceptional dining venture that consistently hits the mark!

Food here used to be great but I returned recently and got the Vietnamese curry which I haven’t tried. It was horrible. The spices were not blended properly and the curry was so oily and diluted. The rice was dry too. Very disappointed. It was inedible. I didn’t even finish the meal. What a waste of $20!!! Don’t get the curry!

Tried this place for the first time. loved the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, this is my favourite. the dim sum was good, the egg pan with meatballs had a sauce that was too sweet and didn’t go well with the bread, and the Mongolian chicken was decent, though the capsicum tasted a bit off, the chicken wasn’t very tender, and the rice seemed old or maybe burnt; plus, the food took quite a while to arrive, so overall, some hits and misses, but with a few tweaks, it could be much better! 😊

Really enjoyed the spicy beef and pork noodle soup. I’m always looking for the best one and so far this tasted the best for me in terms of flavour of the broth it just had a really good well rounded flavour compared to other ones I tried. The portion size was good too! It came out really fast too and the staff was nice :) defineltey will come back here for my noodle cravings and look forward to trying other things on the menu

I’ve been to this place multiple times – it’s one of my comfort food spots, so I come again today as usual. Service is great, portion size is good, pho noodles are standard, soup base is decent, sides are fresh (bean sprouts, lemon, etc.), and the beef balls are incredibly good. At this price point, there’s really nothing to complain about – it could easily be a solid 5-star experience. HOWEVER, I ordered the Sliced Rare Beef Pho, but the beef was not rare at all – it was completely well done, no redness, dry, and honestly, that was disappointing. :( It could have been due to a delay in serving, which let the hot soup cook the beef, or maybe the chef just overcooked it. I’m not sure, but this is something the owner should keep an eye on. I’ll definitely come back, but I really hope this improves next time.

Visited a couple of times and find their food of a good standard. The first time we enjoyed a crackling pork Bahn Mi with a refreshing homemade mango ice tea plus some prawn & pork rice paper rolls. Second time I had a Combination Pho which was a very generous portion and a good broth base.

I visited Quan Thanh on a very windy, rainy night; the last Saturday in September. I was keen to enjoy a hearty Vietnamese noodle soup and I was not disappointed. There was a slight mix up with my order; I ordered a Vegetable Noodle Soup and a Vegetable Laksa was delivered to my table. I was content with the Laksa and did not draw any attention to the error, I simply began to enjoy my Laksa and I was grateful for its warmth and nourishment. One of the staff came to my table and mentioned to me that she had become aware that I had ordered a Noodle Soup and a Laksa was provided instead. I explained that I was very happy with the Laksa and did not have any problems with this “error “. The staff member was unwilling to accept my response to the situation and insisted that I should receive a takeaway Noodle Soup as this is what I ordered and paid for; she then disappeared and returned shortly after with the takeaway Noodle Soup that was expertly wrapped to ensure no leakage. I thanked the staff member for her kindness and consideration and continued to eat my laksa. I took the Noodle Soup home and enjoyed it for dinner at home the following night. Both soups were delicious and filled with lots of vegetables and tofu. This type of exceptional service is very rare. I am very grateful to the restaurant for providing me with the takeaway Noodle Soup and I feel that this type of service should be recognised by sharing my experience.

Came here yesterday and ordered the crackling pork noodle salad. The serving was generous and the size of the pork pieces were to scale. The noodle to salad ratio was perfect and the sauce was the perfect amount. Highly recommend for the size and how healthy the salad was. Coming back again for sure 😌

While exploring Brisbane, I came across Stanley, a striking Chinese restaurant nestled by the river. The location is truly picturesque, with beautiful views by the water and under the bridge a lovely spot for a meal. The food was decent, though slightly overpriced in my opinion. The standout, however, was the service, the staff were genuinely lovely, polite, and very accommodating. That said, I’m not sure it’s a place I’ll miss. Next time, I’ll probably try some of the other nearby restaurants instead.

We were from Melbourne and wanted to have a nice dinner with the city view. We didn’t have a reservation but the staff was kind enough to reserve a table for us in 45mins, so we waited at a rooftop bar nearby. The table they gave us had the story bridge and city view along the river, which was stunning. All the staff are friendly and patient, with a few even helping film a proposal that happened in the restaurant. However, for the price we paid, the food was a big disappointment. We ordered vegetarian fried rice, salt & pepper tofu and crispy eggplant. The fried rice was mediocre. Barely any ingredients and the flavouring not that interesting. Crispy eggplant was so-so. Crispy, yes. But too sweet and we definitely have had better. Lastly, the biggest disappointment is the salt & pepper tofu. There was no pepper, just mildly salty fried tofu. Expect the pay for the views and not for the food. Wouldn’t come back for the food, but giving 2 stars instead of 1 because all the staff were superstars and extremely helpful.

If you're looking for authentic and tasty Asian flavours, you could give this place a miss. My friends and I were highly disappointed in the 8 dishes we ordered. Yep, 8 dishes! We liked 2 of them being lobster and prawn dumplings and quail legs. The rest were bland, the batter on the prawns and eggplant was thick and unpleasant, no salt and pepper on the prawns - isn't that what it's called?! Even the shredded beef dish tasted more like sweet and sour sauce was tossed through it. The Peking duck was not thin and crisp. Had lots of chewy skin pieces. We couldn't finish our food. We tried not to be wasteful, but spending $380 on mediocre dishes was disappointing. Managed to take some photos, and whilst they may look appealing, the taste wasn't really up to scratch.

I had the Duck and mushroom dim sims and a pork bun! What a disappointment I've had tastier food from the frozen section from woolworths! If they spent half the time creating flavour in there food as they did constructing their wine and drinks list they might be on a winner!! Service was good apart from them trying to push drinks on you. There was only a couple of people there everywhere else was packed might be something to do with the lack of flavour!

I have walked up and down this boardwalk and honestly, this food is explosive on the palate, the atmosphere, food and people are bespoke. I have eaten here so frequently, I ask the staff to surprise me when it comes to my meals now. And I’m reminded of why I come back. Come here, and take advantage of what it means to enjoy food

Went here 31st of August for dinner for the first time with my partner and friend. Both of them they had sweet and sour pork and the pecking duck pancakes they were both good but expensive for what you get. But unfortunately my very expensive $50 Fijuan fried rice with Blue Swimmer Crab was lacking. On the menu it is described as Fijuan fried rice with sauce and Blue Swimmer Crab but I could not find or taste any Blue swimmer crab. I asked the waiter where is the crab and upon investigation with the chef he told me that the blue swimmer crab is shredded. After he left I laughed because it must’ve shredded away to nothing. Would not recommend this dish.

Enjoyed my time here last week. The service was great, professional, and the food good too. There were seats readily available when I came in and even though the restaurant got increasingly busier as time went on, there were still enough seats available for all. The only complaint I have is that the tables were rather too close to one another, which made it somewhat awkward when people sat next to mine but not a big deal.

Had lunch at Tai Tai on a busy Sunday afternoon, but everything went smoothly from start to finish. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food arrived quickly, and everything was delicious. We were a party of three and ordered Char Kway Teow, Eggplant with Garlic Sauce, and Kung Pao Chicken. Of course, we also enjoyed two bottles of Tsingtao beer. It was a truly pleasant dining experience—highly recommended!

I ask for the assorted dim sim as an entree. They were really good, i think my favorite was the one with mushrooms. Then as a main i got the pork belly in red bean curd with some rice (its 5 more aud). It was good, but nothing out of this world. Couple of bites were kinda dry, not sure if ill ask for this one again. I spend 83aud for this two plates, it was enough food for a person that likes to eat a lot😅

Bao buns with Dong Pao was great. Tender pork with sauce was very balanced. Overall. Very nice. Atmosphere was good too

A bit pricey for the average taste. The sweet and sour barramundi was decent, and the black pepper beef was tender but just okay in flavor. They did have several high chairs available for kids.

Food was average but tolerable but was seated at the worst table in the restaurant, by the bathroom. Constant slamming of bathroom doors by the patron, waft of bathroom smells every now and then.. probably will be imprinted in my memory forever and would not re visit. $170 ish total in food and drinks. Surcharge for using QR code. Upon complaining was told by the head waiter that this was the best seat in the house which we all chucked at the ridiculousness and tone deafness of that statement

Wonderful. Going to be regular. Been in brizzy for the last 4 years couldn’t find an awesome Indian mix salad veg curry and rice combo place. Vegerama satisfies that search and feel. I am trying to see what’s the cheapest place for parking. As some times I am paying more for parking than the food. But great job guys! Keep it up.

Delicious vegan food! We had the moussaka, vegetable stir fry, and lentil dahl with rice. We arrived just before 5pm so there was a great deal on for two medium portions. Also had their homemade lemon, ginger and mint drink which was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. They also had delicious-looking salads and desserts but we were too full to try.

01.05.25 - 11:56 - just paid $17.22 for a takeaway Masala Dosa. The resulting photos speak for themselves. It is worth $3. It was cold and missing half the filling. The filling that was there was razor thin. If you’ve run out of filling say so, rather than provide this substandard nonsense. This is simply greed.

Absolutely fantastic. We ate here twice last year, and when we went on vacation to Australia again this year, to Brisbane, we just had to come back. Truly amazing!

Tonight we decided to try the herbivore menu and we were absolutely blown away with the dishes we were served with. The portions are generous and perfect for sharing. The Staff are friendly and are knowledgeable regarding the menu. We finished off with an amazing dessert. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Firstly, I'm vegan and my partner isn't. Upon arrival, we were given our menus and explained to that the meals could either be shared or ordered as individual starter and mains - we said we would like separate starters and mains as I am vegan. My partners starter came out first and we waited for mine to be not far behind.. 10+ minutes later I was given mine and we ate together - thankfully they were cold dishes. Then mains, this time mine arrived first, after nearly 15 minutes I asked where my partners main was to which the waitress said they had been staggering our meals as that's what they do. This is obviously not correct as we advised we wouldn't be sharing and wanted our individual meals at the start of ordering, and because 2 other tables were getting all their food at the same time. The waitress then took my once hot now room temp main back and bought out both mains together with mine now a fresh hot meal. (Both starter and main the staff clearly could see we weren't eating with until the other received there main, but continued to look not busy and ignore us instead of asking if everything was ok, yet we could see them watching us). Now with both mains, that's when we noticed not all of our sides were on the table, now 20+ minutes since the main was first served, I asked for the sides, they checked the order and apologised, 5 minutes later the fries ($14) arrived. We hadn't finished yet but I exused myself from the table, when I got back they had taken my plates and cutlery away while my partner was still eating, he said yes to this but thought they'd at least leave the cutlery as he told them I was still eating the sides. Nope, gone. Had to ask for more cutlery. Once dinner was finish and table was cleared we were waiting for a dessert menu, nope, after 10 minutes I had to ask for a dessert menu. Quality of food, I personally loved the beetroot entre and cauliflower curry, absolutely delicious, i could have ordered more cauliflower!! The fact that it is just heroing 1 vegetable each meal with no plant protein means you WILL be hungry when you leave. The serving size looks ok but it's not filling at all. My partner ordered the crab in shells, unfortunately there was no taste of seafood or crab at all, more like soft coleslaw, considering its $30+ for basically 2 spoon fulls.... He also ordered a main but they came back out to advise they had run out of that main and couldn't substitute the protein, so he settled for something else that was just ok. Desserts were nice, I was impressed they used aquafabba for meringues but it lacked flavour. The mandarin chocolate was delicious though. Presentation was nice. For a $250 meal for 2 people with a lot of hit and misses, I'd expect for hits, but this visit left A LOT to be desired. The lack of care and attention is the main reason I would not return.

Great experience and unique menu. The banquet option is the way to go and received amazingly presented dishes which can sound unusual from reading the menu but taste surprisingly good. The lamb and brisket were the standout. Service was also good, helpful in explaining what all the options are.

The food is perfection. Flavours are balanced and we kept wanting more with every bite. We love every dish that came out and the service was wonderful too. They were quick, efficient and attentive to us. Will definitely be back again.

Went last night and had a banquet for 2 ($145/person). Absolutely love every single dishes served! We spent $390 for everything including 4 drinks and 2 desserts. A bit pricey but my partner and I had a really good time there! We don’t normally eat out this expensive, it’s for my partner birthday, so it’s certainly worth it 💛 also, the staffs were so friendly and nice!

Outstanding Every Single Time! The Green Edge is an absolute gem! From the exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff to the fantastically delicious food, everything about this place is a joy. The dining layout is lovely and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. We loved it so much that we came back three days in a row during out visit to Brisbane, and every experience was just as incredible as the last. Consistency like that is rare and worth celebrating. We have been loyal customers for the last many years, so it’s about time I leave a review 😅 Their staff always have outstanding customer service skills, and the food is always amazing. Our favourites are of course the VFC, katsu curry, and lasagna. And their frappes are so yummy.

The green edge is our favourite! We absolutely adore the food and it always has a great range of specials. We bring our golden retriever and she also loves the atmosphere (and the extra treaties). The expansion in range, dinner options and uber eats makes vegan and cruelty free food so much more accessible too. Would recommend!

We have been popping in here for a bite & a shop for years and it’s always had so many things for vegans but it’s so nice to see the new owners give it the love it deserves. The shelves are stocked, the space has been cleaned up, the service is friendly and the feeling of a refreshed hub is lovely. First time going for dinner, pizzas were yum and the new deli section looks great.

Wow theres is an abundance of all! Drinks, smoothies, healthy food section, naughty food section and the menu has more than your classic vegan food! I loved mt southern fried chick'n with maple, so nice to try. Thank yaaaaa ill send all my friends here

The spaghetti bolognese with meatballs here was really something special. Every bite was packed with rich, authentic flavors that kept me wanting more. Their fresh juice was perfectly balanced too and hit the spot. I love that it's right next to a well-stocked vegan grocery store. It's like a little food hub where you can enjoy a great meal and then pick up some quality ingredients on your way out. You can choose to sit inside for a cozy feel or outside if you want some fresh air. The staff genuinely care about making sure you have a good time, and you can tell they enjoy what they do. This place really delivers on good food at fair prices with a relaxed atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a satisfying meal in a welcoming spot.

Lovely place that we stumbled into looking for lunch. The dining area inside was spacious and clean. We ordered a few sides and two larger dishes each - which ended up being way too much food as the portion sizes are really big (in a good way)! It was all very delicious and it was honestly hard to choose what to have as it all looked great. Flavourful and nice staff. Would love to come back and try some other dishes.

Came here with my squad on a Monday night for dinner. We ordered many things including main dishes and side dishes. What I can say is that the side dishes were all better than the main dishes. For example the fried rice was too salty, 😞 the bibimbap's sauce was not exceptional at all and also the hot and sour noodle was mid 😓. However the side dishes were WOWWWW soo GOOOOOD 😋😋😋 the Suji was nicely seasoned and crunchy and Okonomiyaki IS CRAAAZY NICE YOU MUST TRY. Overall solid place for vegetarians and all I recommend coming here 🙌🙌🙌🙌

Went with a big group on a weekday evening and the place was absolutely rammed. Still got our food surprisingly quickly, which says a lot about how well they run things. My noodle soup was massive and packed with fresh veggies - proper generous portions and really tasty.

Food was a nice twist on these asian dishes. Inari was a unique and wonderful flavour of olive + fried rice + lemons + sweetness of the soy skin.

i love vegeme, i’ve been going for around a year now, consistently great food, lovely service and staff. i really appreciate the affordability and prices. I love the bibimbap, deep fried suji, konjac rings and fried sweet bun with veggies. i can happily say that this is one of my favourite places to go eat!

A friend introduced me to Vegeme years ago and it’s become a regular spot ever since. The people who work here are always so lovely. The food comes out so fast. It’s always consistently good. After a morning spent planning our next holiday, we decided to swing by Same Same on James Street in Fortitude Valley for a bite. It’s been a while since I last visited, so I was eager to see how the place had evolved since opening. The moment we stepped in, it was clear the vibe was still spot on. Located in the heart of Fortitude Valley, Same Same is part of the Anyday Restaurant Group, and it definitely lives up to the reputation. We managed to score a spot at the bar, which gave us a perfect view of the chefs in action, showcasing their culinary skills as the kitchen buzzed. Even though it was busy, the staff were on the ball, attentive, friendly, and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. We kicked things off by diving into the extensive cocktail list. Each one was fresh, refreshing, and perfectly balanced, ideal for a hot Brisbane day. The drink selection is definitely worth noting. As for the food, Same Same offers an impressive menu, with options ranging from à la carte to banquets. We decided to stick with à la carte and started with a couple of snacks. The Sa-Koo Sai Moo was a standout, delicate Thai dumplings stuffed with caramelised pork and coriander, this was flavour-packed and delicious. Next, we tried the Betel Leaf with Prawn, topped with lemongrass, coconut, and chilli. The prawn was fresh, but I did struggle a bit with the size of the leaf, it was a tad small to wrap up the bite neatly. For mains, we opted for a fresh salad of Grilled Pork Belly and Green Mango, complemented by crunchy snowpeas and a roasted shallot dressing. The salad was a lovely balance of sweetness, tang, and heat, with the chilli providing a nice kick. We also went for the Wagyu Beef Cheek Massaman Curry, which came with a side of fluffy rice and crispy roti. The curry was comforting and rich, with that nostalgic home-cooked feel, xlike something your grandmother might make. The beef was tender and melt-in-your-mouth, though I did wish the portion size was just a tad bigger. The roti, on the other hand, was crisp and perfectly done, a great side to scoop up all that curry goodness. After the meal, we decided to skip dessert and go for another drink instead—perfect way to round off a relaxed lunch. Overall, Same Same is a fantastic spot for any occasion—whether you’re after a casual lunch, a laid-back dinner, or just craving some top-notch Thai food. The combination of great food, attentive service, and lively atmosphere makes it a winner. I’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely excellent 👌 hands down the best Thai food we’ve had in a very long time. The service was extremely attentive and friendly, and we had the pleasure of being guided by a wonderful Sommelière who took her role seriously and gave us excellent recommendations. The atmosphere was both cozy and vibrant, making us feel instantly comfortable. We would go back anytime without hesitation. Prices are on the higher side, but absolutely worth it for the quality and overall experience.

It's a nice restaurant and the food is good but not "wow I'm definitely coming back for this again" kinda good. Service was polite and friendly, I think the guy was fairly new so he wasn't familiar with some of the questions asked. Very busy restaurant, be sure to book if you want a good seating. Counter is fine but there's nowhere to leave my bag/purse so had it on my lap the whole time while sitting on a high bar stool.

Emily who was dedicated for our table service was absolutely amazing, such fun, bubbly personality and was super helpful in helping my wife with some alternative options to the seafood dishes, nothing was too much or too little to ask. The food was too die for, we had the $130 banquet and it was to die for, great portion sizes. This is my 2nd time at Same Same and I can’t wait to book a table here again. Went to Same Same for a birthday and it was a really great experience. The $84 banquet was fantastic — every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. Our server was excellent too, super friendly and attentive. The only downside was that we were seated right by the door, even though there seemed to be plenty of space elsewhere when we asked to move. Still, the food and service more than made up for it. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a special little modern takeaway salad and dessert bar, the deco is very contemporary, the staff were very welcoming and the ordering process was easy as there weren't too many types of salad, but all of them are delicious! Especially love the kale salad. The salad bar was very busy when we were there on a Sunday morning, none of the customers ordered any from the dessert bar, maybe it was too early? I have never tried their sweets, maybe I should try it next time.

Waited 30 minutes outside in the heat to pick up an online order that was already paid for and waited another 15 minutes whilst they prepared my online order in store…. I really would have expected that by ordering online my order would be ready at the scheduled pick up time. It didn’t help that I had to wait with my 1 and a half year old who was crying the whole time and no one offered to help or move me forwards since he wasn’t coping with the wait in the heat…. Really don’t think I could go back to this place again after this experience.

One of the best salad places around Albion that is not hidden behind copious amounts of mayo and shredded lettuce. You could taste each flavour component which Botanica Real Food strives to project through the quality of ingredients used. The sweet treats are to die for too especially the toasted coconut individual bar cakes, toasty coconuty goodness. How can it be this good being gluten free and vegan?!!! Botanica Real Food allows me to indulge fully without any guilt 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Service is gold, friendly and attentive as always.

Was walking past this mouth watering display of sugary goodness and HAD to stop in and try a treat! Absolutely gorgeous variety of cupcakes, pasteries, slices and salads. The service staff were wearing cute matching white aprons, were neatly presented and were exceptionally friendly which added to the speciality of the experience walking into this store. The cupcake 🧁 we tried was moist, creamy and got me salivating even before I tasted it. What a devine little real foods store and I can not wait to go back and try other delectable delights which grace the shop window.

My incredible and absolutely delicious lunch. @botanicarealfood has been on my list for ages now and l finally got a chance to try it. Some of the best salads and quiche l've ever had and of course l had to try their muffins which not only looked amazing but tasted even better.

Delicious salad, with a wide variety and all of it vegetarian or vegan. The portions are good value for the price. The vegan brownies are a particular stand out. One time I bought the entire tray to distribute to friends! This is my go to healthy option in the Paddington and Red Hill area.

I felt healthier just walking into this little shop and seeing the amazing bounty of different platters of salads piled high (all plant based)! There were around 7 salads to choose from and I selected the shaved broccoli, ancient grains, brown rice and pumpkin, and eggplant salads. They were all packed up in a take home box. They were super fresh, great quality, had great flavours, and were very satisfying. While my focus was on the salads, it was impossible to miss the range of beautiful small cakes set out in the window. All looked lovingly made with very enticing options that I could not pass up. I bought a crumble slice with ricotta that was so good with a cup of tea. The staff are all lovely and are very efficient. It's all takeaway.

Wasn’t expecting such a range on the vegan menu however what I actually wanted, laksa or tofu curry weren’t available! Didn’t leave much then just fried food and salad so was a bit disappointed. Went with papaya salad with tofu. Delicious! Fast service. I wish they had have just offered something else substantial that was vegan instead of letting me try and work something out from the menu. Just didn’t want fried food! Very Smokey inside too. Made me super sneezy. Would be nice with front windows open. Good service, friendly team. Decent meal.

My family came here for a casual birthday dinner and had a great time trying the food here. The atmosphere was nice. All meals - the main portions were very generous and the prices were reasonable. I didn’t have a chance to take photos of everyone’s meal. I had Vegan special - it was super delicious the most amazing vegan pho I have ever had so far. We also ordered tofu rice pepper rolls for starters but didn’t like as much unfortunately. Other than that everyone was very satisfied with their own main meal. We also had fried ice cream for dessert, I wasn’t a big fan of how it made ( vanilla ice cream in one layer fillo pastry and fried) , but my family loved it. We will definitely come back to visit again especially for the Vegan special Pho.

This is a reliable venue for Vietnamese food with all the familiar classics. We really liked the crispy chicken on the noodle soup. The rice paper rolls were fresh but a bit sparse on the proteins. The combination vermicelli bowl was full of goodies and very tasty. Food was served quickly.

Decent Vietnamese food in Sunnybank, Brisbane. For this visit, we've tried the crispy skin chicken with noodles, grilled pork and spring roll with vermicelli, and triple bean with coconut milk for dessert. 1. The chicken were tender and juicy with crispy skin. The noodle soup was soothing and compliments each dish. 2. The grilled pork was delicious and tender. It has a good smokiness flavour. The spring roll were crunchy and yummy. Overall, the vermicelli salad with fish sauce made this dish complete. 3. The thee bean with coconut milk was ok. Take note, do not order this until you are almost done with your meal unless you want this to arrive before your meal. 4. The overall service was good. Will come back.

Update 2025: My score for PhoHung is now down...from 5 stars. I've been going to this shop to eat excellent Viet food for many years....many. Last night we ordered 3 bowls and 3 tea drinks and were charged over $90. I questioned the bill with the young attendant and she said that was the cost. Previous visits the bill had been substantially lower. Food, a River Verm bowl with ToFu was ordered and got spring rolls on it instead. For me it's the cost, the lady that runs it said oh hang on when she saw the screen but then said oh no it's ok. Just like Southside Bistro (over the road when there), we won't patron PhoHung ever again. Now it's just a Pho I used to know......pity. Friends and colleagues will also not return either. Update: food is still good as ever. Same people and even being away 6 months they still remember my order. Come for the Pho, stay for the Sass! I see many reviews talking about the rude staff. They are pretty nice people once you get to know them. The lady I know everyone is talking about, that's just how she is...she isn't rude she is just a direct person. When you hear her and others with the loud talk, it sounds angry but that's just how Viet people talk really, they are not yelling or fighting with each other it's just talking to them. Food has always been great, no place can do perfect food all the time so I've had a few off meals but very rarely. Its consistent good Pho. Off meals I mean not as much veg or missing something, but upon asking to fix they do it happily. Setup has been remodeled recently but still a locals style close quarters kind of authentic Viet eating experience. They play tetris with the tables on busy times to try accommodate as many as possible. Great vegetarian Tofu & Veg Pho but also some great meat based ones too. Won Ton Soup is a total winner. They always accommodate off menu requests. Drinks like Jelly Tea etc are all great.

Great food, so hard to pick the best dish! We had the quail for entree, with Bo Luc Lac (cubed beef with rice), special fried rice and grilled chicken rice for mains. Speedy service and on line ordering worked well. Super busy, but they dealt with it really efficiently. Will be going back to try more of the extensive menu.

This is our place to get delicious Vietnamese food, there are plenty of places closer to where we live, but none as yummy or affordable. The lady who serves us is always on the move, but gives us a huge smile and friendly greeting. Only once did the order come out incorrect, and it was fixed quickly.

Went with a mate - the machine at the front you order from is very easy to use. Ramen has great depth of flavour , could say maybe a little salty. Would try the less salty version next time. I got spicy - which could have been amped up a bit. But I’m being picky. Kaedama is awesome and unlimited so if you’re super hungry you could go crazy. Karaage chicken came out super hot and crispy. Gyoza is decent flavour and cooked fresh too Staff were very friendly. Will go back soon

One of my friends recommended this place. I’m Japanese and there are many terrible ramen restaurants in Brisbane. 😅However, this ramen was sooooo good. ❤️It was just like in Japan. I ordered the Tantanmen, the Soup and noodles were really good 🍜 Shio ramen was also good 👍 Karaage and gyoza were very tasty 🤤 The staffs were very kind and friendly, and also the extra noodles are free 🤩 One of my friends ate 5 extra noodles 🤣 It’s near a bus stop, was nearby K-mart in Toowong. I really want to go there again👍

very long queue on a regular workday!! the queue to order is long, and then after that you get your queue number and have to wait to be called. if you’re just 1 person it’s actually pretty fast, but if you’re 2 people be prepared to wait at least 45 mins. got the karaage chicken and it came with 4 which was nice! however, the chicken was pretty tough to tear apart and tasted a bit raw..? i could only stomach 2 of them. the noodle/soup was yummy though

I arrived at Genkotsu Ramen at Lunch Time. Before you enter, you order your food at the ordering machine. The restaurant is hidden, a 2min walk from Toowong Shopping Centre. It was small and busy with limited seats but as a solo eater, I found an available wooden bench quickly at the counter, watching the kitchen staff cock. It wasn't the most comfortable but it worked. From the moment I sat down to receiving my food, it took around 10min. I ordered the Wagyu Beef Sukiyaki Ramen with Shio(Salt) broth, 2 extra pieces of Cha-shu Pork and Grape Calpis Water. The Wagyu wasn't the high quality beef you hear about but it was still good as a lot of the flavour came from the marinade. The noodles were thin but absorbed the broth really well. The Cha-Shu was thin and fatty, it melted in my mouth and had that smoky after taste from the blow torch. Overall it was fulfilling meal. Once you finish your meal, you return the bowl to the left side of the counter so they can quickly clean them. I wished I knew about the Unagi(Eel) ramen beforehand and the Nori chips were unfortunately sold out as I would have loved to try those. Overall, I enjoyed my $30 meal and will definitely return in the future.

But they serve fast I love the summer specials cold ramen (sesame tantan and reimein which is a dry ramen)

I normally go to this restaurant and day by day it is getting worse. I am never gonna come back again on this restaurant. Found insect into the food . The food taste is shit now. And when i asked the restaurant manager about the bad taste of the food she said we don’t know you like extra souce even though i told her that it was reaaly good but now it’s tasteless and she replied, you know sheff changes everytime. Bullshit. Poor customer service as well. Food taste is not the same as it was. Waste of money now going to this restaurant.

Our dinner was served within 20 minutes. The Har Mee (Prawn Noodles) looked impressive and appetising. Unfortunately, the all important Prawn/Pork broth was bland and flavourless. The four Prawns looked impressive but were tasteless and the Chicken pieces were stale. This $22 meal was very disappointing. Our favourite Roti Canai with Beef Rendang is always delicious. Tried the nasi lemak and was very disappointed. The rice was wet and lacked any coconut aroma, the fried chicken was just regular battered chicken — not the spiced, crispy Malaysian style you'd expect(or as advertised). The sambal was underwhelming and, strangely, it was served with chili sauce on the side, which is very out of place for this dish. Overall, nothing about it tasted authentic. Won’t be returning.

The service is so friendly and staff are super kind. We ordered the beef pho and the vegan pho. The beef pho was cloudy and also very greasy, the flavour wasn’t very nice. The noodles were overcooked. The vegan pho had a lot of toppings which was amazing, however the soup was quite bland and not very flavourful. The rice paper rolls were good, however for the price I would expect more than just 2 small ones, especially since they are vegan ($10).

Wings were amazing and the highlight. The pancake had zero flavour. The pancake was crispy, which was nice. Mixed entree was fine. Nothing spectacular. Lychee frappe was highly disappointing. $8 and half a glass. The service was good.

I stumbled upon an amazing restaurant that offers delicious authentic Vietnamese street food. Every dish we sampled was absolutely fantastic. The grilled chicken and crispy pork were especially outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided attentive service. The spacious and clean dining area offered various seating choices. I highly recommend trying out this Vietnamese restaurant if you're in the area.

New owners .. Always a massive risk .. woman at the front was loud and in comprehensible. Asked me repeatedly what I wanted when still reading the menu. Asked for one of their smoothies.. she didn’t know what I was talking about and had to fetch someone out the back because she can hardly talk English. Was dumped with a plater of poorly presented lemongrass chicken to which I only ate a bit as it looked unfreash. It seriously was an overpriced underwhelming experience especially when I’ve been coming here for years .. Never again

We just ate at this place. We read in the reviews that the owners have changed. The food was expensive and raw, the meat was red, the onions were tough because they didn't cook them, and the broth was horrible. It's not worth spending money on this place. We won't be going back. The good thing is that the place is close to McDonald's and KFC. We left the food and came back for nuggets so we wouldn't throw up... I'm sorry, I can't to add 0 stars

AMAZING FOOD. Our waiter was SO good and friendly despite our large lunch group coming during the lunch rush- he was really attentive to detail and made sure we all had seats and our ordered meals. Everything also came really fast and 10/10 flavours! Highly recommend this as my new fave viet restaurant in Brisbane (esp the special pho and crispy chicken)

I don’t know where to start off, but this place is literally the worst place for takeaway food. I’ve been here quite a few times and I always liked their food even though the place wasn’t very ermmm hygienic. Today, I visited to get some takeaway food from here in a while. The lady told me that the food will take around 15minutes, so I revisited after around 15-20 minutes. Two of my orders were ready out of three. And the lady told me “just a minute”, which made me thought my food will be ready soon. But then, she changed her words saying that I have to wait another 10 minutes. As people know, rice papers get chewy and the noodle gets soggy as time passes. In total, my food was out there for more than 20-30 minutes because one of my dish was still not ready. The funny thing is that I ordered the same menu, one was ready in 10 minutes and another wasn’t ready till it hits 30 minutes. Also the people who are dining in got served before us when they actually ordered after me. We decided to cancel the one that didn’t come out as we didn’t want to eat cold and soggy food. While this was being done, the lady was very rude, not even a single “sorry” I heard, she should have told us the right time and discussed with kitchen if the time taking is extraordinary. Food by itself is not bad but you can definitely find places with better hygiene, better service and better waiting time. Hopefully the lady gets to learn how to talk to a customer.

I've been a regular customer here, and I'm truly disappointed. In the past, this Vietnamese noodle shop left me with nothing but good impressions, but what I witnessed today has completely changed my view. There are so many new staff members, and the management seems to be in chaos. The middle - aged (oldest)man who seems to be the person in charge is like an old hand who's just going through the motions. His service is simply unbearable. He discriminates between customers. Two young people wanted to sit at an empty four - person table at the back because the front was crowded, but he refused them, citing some excuse. He then made them sit next to me. However, when two other customers, who looked like businessmen, came in later, he immediately let them take that four - person table. This unfair service is really unacceptable! And because of this poor seat - arrangement, the customer sitting next to me and I had to keep borrowing tissues from each other, which was so inconvenient. I'm really worried that this person will limit the shop's development. I hope the management can take this seriously and improve the service. It would be a shame if the delicious food here was overshadowed by such bad service.

Whenever we passed by this place at night, we would wonder why there's always a line out the door. Now I understand. Their pho (special beef soup) is indeed phenomenal! I would go back again and again just to be comforted by their pho. It's very light but also rich, complicated in flavours but also simple. The perfect choice on a cold winter night. The portion size is huge and I had to share one bowl. The rice paper wrap was also delish, and complimented the pho perfectly. It's fresh and well wrapped, so it's easy to eat. The place is tiny and packed, but it whisks you back to Southeast Asia. Lightning speed service as well so no complaints here!

Definitely one of my best go to Vietnamese restaurants for Pho! Been visiting here since my uni days. Still love the special beef noodle soup. Great portion size for the price you pay! I like how the tripe and tendons are cooked well making it nice and soft to chew!

An ok place for Vietnamese food. Nothing is outstanding and nothing is bad. I would recommend their soup dishes over the grilled ones. Rice paper rolls are definitely one of their best dishes here but some filling can be very salty. Great variety thought not everything will be available all the time. Can be very crowded at times but accommodating team makes it a comfortable experience. Location is good and has a lot of parking spaces.

With 7 different types of yakitori. This is soo flavourful and yum. Love that you get to try a bit of everything! Their sashimi and chirashi is also super fresh and at a great value. Don’t miss out on their drinks menu - everything from frappes to freshly brew teas. There’s something for everyone.

Great food, nice ambience I’ll vist again

Left slightly disappointed. Chaus-men - good broth, good chasu and egg. The noodles were overcooked. Maybe try washing them under cold water. I dunno. It stops it from continue to cook so it has some texture to it. Mazemen Grilled Chicken - chicken was ok, but the noodles again not washed and therefore all clumped and stuck together that you could not mix it all properly. Grilled Corn - was good. Probably the best dish that we had, but you can’t mess up corn either. Katsu Bao - chicken was cold, that’s strange for fried chicken and bun was also cold. That was odd Kids Ramen - was just salty water and the same overcooked ramen. We ended leaving but they were kind enough to refund and also offered to remake. We just didn’t have the time to sit again. Probably another small gripe is the online ordering and not necessarily their fault as it is not unique to the Hai Hai venue. I see this everywhere But the online ordering system with MeAndU is bs. I can’t stand an app or a venue that asks for tips before service or food is servers. I’m not going to say it’s their fault but perhaps try removing that function. It’s like I’m asked to pay 10% to get good service that we may or may not get . I’m all supportive for tips, but only after a sitting. I really hope this place improves. It has so much potential

If you are looking forward an authentic Japanese ramen, then here is not for you. If you just want to have lunch during lunch break, then it's fine. Overall, it's okay but I won't come here again if no any particular reason.

The best ramen place in Brisbane! Plenty of options, great quality food, and friendly staff. A big thank you for including a chicken option on the menu for those who don’t eat pork. Highly recommended!

I came back today and placed another order, and I’m happy to say everything was perfect this time. I paid for spicy and they forgot. That is very disappointing. The mushroom was dry mushrooms instead of fresh mushrooms. I will definitely ask 1:50 back for the spicy sauce.

Best ramen in Brisbane! The broth was so rich and creamy, and the noodles were cooked just right. We got the corn ribs on the side, such a good choice! The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Big thanks to Ellie (had to ask her name!) It was our first time here and she gave us great recommendations. She also explained a celiac friendly option for my husband, which was really thoughtful, and made sure everything was safe for him. Love that they have options for both classic dishes and vegetarians too. Highly recommend, we’ll definitely be back!

The Chashu-men ramen is definitely worth the extra $$. Really tasty! The pork belly and egg are the best parts, although when I first bit into the egg, it was cold on the inside but it soon warmed up being submerged in the broth. I was looking for a great ramen in Brisbane after trying so many in Japan and this definitely hit the spot.

To our surprise was kindly greeted by the manager (Kumail - hopefully I spelled that correct mate) whom seated us and ran us through the menu. He was warm and inviting and very friendly. He suggested we try a few things on the menu since we were vegetarian and I could not fault his recommendations. Delicious. Will definitely be back and recommend if anyone wants some genuine umami flavour food, go here.

Visited this ramen spot in Brisbane recently and left with mixed feelings. The service was quite cold — the waitress didn’t smile once and seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else. That kind of energy really sets the tone for the whole experience. As for the food, the gyoza came out looking promising with a nice sear, but the inside was still cold, which was a letdown. The ramen itself was decent — flavorful enough, but nothing particularly memorable. I added an egg topping expecting a soft-boiled egg, but it was overcooked and lacked that rich, creamy yolk I was hoping for. Not the worst place, but definitely not somewhere I’d rush back to.

PSA - this is a very salty ramen, even with less salt it is far too salty for my preference. So salty it hurts. It also lacks the deep pork flavour of other tonkotsu broths in town. I appreciate the seabura option , which is quite unique and I would recommend. Great staff, good location , but not the broth for me.

My husband and I ate here during our recent trip to Brisbane. There was a wait when we walked up but it didn’t take long before we were seated. My husband had the classic ramen and loved it and I had the vegetarian ramen. The vegetarian was so flavorful and I wouldn’t have known it was vegetarian. We both loved our meals!

Have been getting treats from Veganyum for a while now (the cupcakes are our fave!), but recently ordered a chocolate Daisy cake + cupcakes for my baby shower & oh my goodness they were just divine 🤎 most delicious cake I’ve had in a long time & looks so cute (and will definitely be ordering more cakes from the team at Veganyum in the future!). The team is also always so lovely & welcoming in the store, thank you!

My fiancé and I ordered several boxes of brownies for our engagement party and were thrilled with the taste, presentation, cost and service. I needed to make an adjustment in how the brownies were packaged (keeping ones with nuts separate due to a nut allergy) and the responses I got back from staff member Brittany were so quick, professional and helpful. We were on a budget which is why we went with brownies over a traditional cake, and this option was really great! Guests loved them, and we are enjoying eating the few we had leftover. It was really special to be able to serve a dessert that all guests could enjoy, as we had some guests who are lactose free, my partner is allergic to dairy/eggs/nuts, some guests who are vegan, and even got 1 box of the gluten free version to cater for another guest. Strongly recommend! :)

This is seriously one of the best vegan bakeries on the planet. We’ve travelled through many countries and have never seen the range and quality of vegan goodies like this place. *If you used to love egg and lettuce sambos as a non-vegan, you should try theirs. They’re so good and really close to the real thing. Whilst I love sweet pastries and cookies, their *egg and lettuce sambos are my go-to!

Ordered way too much food and regret absolutely nothing. Two sandwiches, pie, sweet treat - all incredible. This place gets it right every single time.

We came two days in a row because the food was that good! My kids couldn’t believe it was vegan. One start off because my pepper stayk pie was not peppery at all and the gravy itself a little lacklustre. The cupcakes were divine, the terrariums were gorgeous, the chocolate mousse was the best I’ve ever tasted - I don’t normally like chocolate mousse at all, and the the lemon meringue pie was so yummy.

A great little vegan bakery I have been coming to for years! I absolutely love their treats and beautiful creations! 🤩 I have tried a lot of things on the menu over the past number of years. I appreciate that they have savoury and sweet options. It is also great to be able to buy cakes for different occasions (which I have done many times for my family and friends). And the gluiten free options always help me bring nice plant-based treats for celiac people. 🙏🏼 I am super glad that this place stays and stayed in business over the challenging economic timesz 🙂🌟👏🏼

Nice bowls of soup. Broth was tasty and served hot. I had the bun bo hue and my eating companion had the special combination pho. The spicy beef was not very spicy (recommend asking for extra fresh chilli and some chilli oil). Portion size was very good. Would have liked a few more fresh sprouts and herbs (no coriander in today's mix.) Overall it was a good lunch at a reasonable price.

Visited here Friday lunch around 1pm. 4 tables were already filled. Bad thing was it took ages to get a menu not a welcoming feeling and no water served. The stir fried noodle(no.42 w pork) was so tasty, chicken pho was really big amount but my favourite 3 colour rice wasn't so good, served a fried egg not a steamed egg and pork chop was really dry and thin.

We enjoyed the crispy pork, but the overall meal fell short. The food lacked flavor, had MSG, and arrived lukewarm. Considering the prices, the food court next door might offer better value for meals.

Banh mi Sunnybank Plaza This is possibly the only option for banh mi in the Sunnybank Plaza shopping centre. The service is friendly,and the prices are reasonable. We tried the crispy roast pork banh mi - it came with a generous serving of crispy roast pork, pickled carrot, coriander and cucumber. We just thought the banh mi roll seemed a little shorter than the ones that we usually buy.

Used to go to this place a lot years ago - it was a go-to but went there recently and it was not the same. Had their chicken laksa but it was just noodles, chicken, and about 4 slices of fish cake. It predominantly tasted of coconut milk. Had no laksa flavor at all. Not worth the price. Saddest laksa my friend and I ever had.

Great little Vietnamese restaurant/take away in the middle of the diverse Sunnybank Plaza. Friendly staff and fast service, my dad brought me here to try traditional Pho for the first time. Would highly recommend this place.

Quite busy but that's not always a bad thing, finally a place selling ramen with pepper and soy sauce available 👌🏻 unfortunately the eggs are just hard boiled eggs and come cold. The pork looks almost boiled but tastes nice enough for the price. Good place to have a quick meal with mates

A good little dish here , had their Pork Tonkotsu Deluxe. The noodles and broth, although much darker than what you would expect, were actually on the money .The eggs were also cooked perfectly, slightly under to make combining effortlessly simplistic. The pickled ginger really was the star of this dish, and without it it may have been your run of the mill. The pork was also cooked perfectly , and came apart with absolute ease. All in all a solid little dish if you are looking for something authentic 💙🙏

So so tasty Ramen noodles here. Delicious warm dishes with warm service. Had to order a second bowl it was so good. Interior of restaurant small but cosy. A definitely repeat visit to Beppin and well done to the staff here.

Pretty much no spaces between tables. Splashes of left over broth from other table nearly got us when staff clean and reset up. Ramen is not bad, chaushu has a final touch with torch we believe make it go extra mile as a highlight, rest all pretty standard, no complaint.

Honestly… best ramen to have in Brisbane. Been here twice and have not been disappointed. Broth was tasty, noodles cooked well, above average serving size. We tried the their standard tonkotsu, black garlic and white chicken ramen’s. Only downside is the size of the place, slightly small and cramped, though didn’t detract from the overall experience. Also they sell pastries, which is a great way round out the dinner

Standard tonkotsu ramen. Kotteri de oishii desu! One suggestion for manager is to have staff leave a bottle of water with the customer. Rather than come around to interrupt your eating (mouthful of ramen) to ask if you need more water. As the cup is very small, and ramen makes you thirsty, it's always gonna be a 'yes'. A small cup doesn't look like things have been thought out very well. Nevertheless, it's great to see serious young Japanese staff working well together - that means they're putting their heart into your food! 💕

I visit there Friday evening with friend and ordered chili donkotsu ramen. Staff was very friendly and food was amazing. Price is not that affordable but its worth to paying. I ordered matcha cake as well, its normal

The wonton noodle soup here is the best I’ve had in Sunnybank so far. The wontons are juicy (a real highlight).The soup is light and feels healthy, and the noodles are cooked just right. The owner is always so nice and friendly. I come back every time and have never been disappointed.

Zen flavours is not the same as zen corner. Just realised that. The hot plate curry beef brisket was pretty good and the meat was tender.Black bean pork ribs was quite in portion. It’s pretty nice to have these in cold days. So comforting and nice food. Will go back.

The owner served us I think, the pleasant man with only one arm. Remind me of a Kung Fu movie.Dry noodle and mince sauce with Wonton is very Authentic. All their Wontons are very tasty actually.

The food was amazing, I ordered their BBQ two meat with Rice. The meat was juice and tender and left me wanting for more. The owner which has one arm is very nice to customers (he has one arm). The atmosphere was somewhat okay, a little cold though🥶

We had a lovely lunch. Zen Corner is a Hong Kong style restaurant that is famous for serving traditional noodles. We ordered Crispy Chicken. Fried Pork Chop, Spicy Chicken in Chilli Oil and 2 sides of plain noodles. The flavours were good and I would definitely recommend trying this almost street food like restaurant.

Mixed experiences after not having visited for a few years, then going 3 times in 4 months. The first of these was excellent, 2nd still pretty good, then 3rd time was like what happened?? So I don't know if it's an issue with consistency or an overall deterioration... Eg the soup that blew us away first time but had totally lost any element of attractiveness by visit 3 🤷🏼‍♂️

Decided to buy a whole duck for dinner since it was advertised as “the best in Brisbane”. Brought home and seen duck was raw, found out was given a lot of neck pieces more than what one duck should have and later realised all the meat parts such as the thigh, wing and drum weren’t chopped and given to us, all we got was just bones. This was absolutely unacceptable and will not be coming again.

We had the crispy pork, honey chicken and ginger stirfry. Super fresh and delicious! The chicken was a little over cooked tasting and perhaps needed abit more of a sweet honey flavour but otherwise a great experience. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!

I ordered a noodle dish that came with fresh vegetables and tofu, and it was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The menu has an impressive selection at really reasonable prices, so there's plenty to choose from. The restaurant has ample seating both indoors and outdoors, which gives you options depending on your mood. The portion size was generous that I ended up skipping dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone craving good Thai food.

This was an Uber Eats order. It took 30 minutes longer than the maximum delivery time most of which was spent preparing the order. We have ordered from here and eaten in numerous times. This time the food was incredibly underwhelming. I've attached photos of the Bao buns that are the worst I've ever eaten with almost no filling. The coconut rice is an unappetizing green colour I couldn't force myself to try it. The incredibly long delivery time that was mostly attributable to the restaurant meant the Bao and Curry Puffs (ordered many times before) were soggy. There was a half filled tiny curry puff sauce container. This is partially an Uber review but seeing the actual order time with the restaurant preparing and then about to collect and then preparing .... The final result was way below par from what has been one of the better vegan restaurants in the area.

The food was nice, I am not typically one to eat vegan 'meat's'. However this menu is essentially focused around vegan meat. I got a 'Honey Chicken' style dish, the 'Chicken' itself was good, being sweet, a touch salty, and a very satisfying texture. The aroma and presentation was another pleasing aspect. However, looking at the plant portion of the meal, flavor wise, I felt a little let down, I think the vegetables could have been cooked for a touch longer, and I found the cabbage unusually bitter. Overall the dish was good and I would eat again, for the price ($22). The seating is on the crowded side, and the lighting I felt was a little random (outside: some areas well lit some not lit at all).

Even the drinks are great! And the best part? It’s super affordable! We had 10 people eat to our hearts’ content for around $180 total — incredible value for the quality. If you’re vegetarian or just love great Thai-style food, U Tong is a must-visit. 🥢💚

This place is absolutely incredible, I hope it never closes down! Absolute hidden gem in terms of vegan food. The menu is super expansive with something for everyone, the portions are generous and reasonably priced! Really cute little restaurant too, hanging plants and cute lights. Staff are lovely! Hands down my favourite vegan spot in QLD!

The food was mostly solid with fresh ingredients and good vegan options. I liked the lemongrass soup, which was light and fragrant, though the flavour could have been a bit stronger. The Pad Thai had a nice balance but felt slightly under-seasoned. Prices were reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. It’s a relaxed spot with friendly staff, but the wait time was a bit longer than expected. The setting is casual, perfect for a low-key meal with family or mates. Overall, a decent choice if you want vegan Thai without fuss or frills.

My all time fav is chicken/beef spicy rice, it was really huge for 1person but I did enjoy it! The rice noodle was also good as well. I give it a try for the Chinese Pork Burger the taste was okay 👍🏼 the staff also nice to me!💖 Recommended!

A Hidden Gem near Fish Lane ​Tucked away near vibrant Fish Lane, this hidden gem serves up authentic northern Chinese cuisine. The menu is diverse, offering plenty of choices that will satisfy both the curious and seasoned diner. ​I started with the black bean and pork mince noodles, a dish that impressed with its generous portion size. It was a well-balanced creation—neither too oily nor too salty—with an abundance of fresh vegetables. The sauce was well seasoned, clinging perfectly to each noodle strand and ensuring a consistent burst of flavor in every bite. ​Next, I sampled the Chinese pork burger. This handheld treat was bursting with savory, flavorful pork and delivered a delightful surprise with the added crunch of the bun, giving it textural complexity.

The management of this restaurant is a complete mess. There’s only one person handling both orders and seating arrangements. Shockingly, none of the staff, whether it's the person taking orders or the kitchen staff, wear hairnets or hats. We found a black hair in our cold noodles and a white hair in our meat sandwich. Around 1 PM, a man came in for his shift, and he was the only one wearing a hat and was friendly to us. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff were neither friendly nor hygienic. I won’t be coming back. How is it acceptable for kitchen staff not to wear hats? I could understand if they were bald, but both the older woman and the young child in the kitchen had medium-length hair. The cleanliness of our food was seriously questionable.

Came and visited hoping for some food. There was plenty of beef options, however not as many vegetarian options available. We eneded up just getting two drinks and sitting back for a bit. It is a nice space with room between tables and set back from the street. It may be a good option to visit if you like your beef options. Hopefully next time we visit, there may be more vegetarian options 😀 Thank you team

I had a fantastic dining experience at SiXi Chinese Cuisine! The ambiance was welcoming, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying the Cold noodle and burger—it was a standout! Looking forward to my next visit.

I got the pork burger and spicy beef noodles. Pork burger had lots of meat in it and the bread was nice and soft. It was decent, but was a bit one dimensional, just salty and could probably do with some other sauce or spice in it. The spicy beef noodles were good, meat was soft and soup was delicious. It’s not really spicy though so I added some chilli oil that they provide. The food is not too expensive. There’s an option to order for collection but the prices are quite a bit higher, better to order directly at the counter in store.

Xi An pork burger is very nice, juicy and tender pork with fresh bread! Braised beef in noodle dishes is very tasty and tender as well. However the noodle itself is just ok that tastes like instant noodle. It would be much better with handmade noodles. Overall I enjoyed my meal.

Ordered the Momo Chicken Lunchbox and the Chicken Mayo Rice which were both delicious with good portion sizes as well. Great value and atmosphere.

We had a great experience at Momo Chicken! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. A special shoutout to Wyle, our waitress, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Her service really made the night even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys tasty food and great hospitality!

If you’re craving for good halal fried chicken you should definitely come here. The lamb and beef are also certified halal. 💯

Good Food, Rude Staff The food is very good, my friend and I usually get fried chicken and topoki, however we have received bad experiences with staff on multiple occasions. First of all the portion sizes have gotten noticeably smaller but price stayed the same. My friend politely asked for gloves from one of the staff and was laughed at, continuously by a staff member in the kitchen right close to us as a booth has a view into the kitchen. The staff also have gotten upset at my friend and Ifor wanting to split a bill, saying they can’t do it, and once it got through to them that we could not pay the entire bill individually she managed to split it. The staff constantly stare, get annoyed and laugh at customers unless they are asian. Once again, the food is amazing, however their hospitality could use a lot of work.

Very busy at dinnertime. Loved the DIY riceballs. I recommend the 3 flavour fried chicken if you want to have a bit of variety. The serving size is good also. The group behind us was so disruptive, I suggest sitting on the outside balcony during peak periods. The staff are friendly and ordering was easy via QR code on the table. Easy to find with some stairs at the entrance.

Probably the best Momos store I've been too, quicker and better service than Runcorn.

Outstanding experience! All vegan, which made us feel at ease knowing we were able to eat anything on the menu. Quality food with large portions at a fair price. Seitan steak was very good, parmigiana was a favourite, though the starters were the picks of the night (salt & pepper squid + spicy buffalo cauli). The owner was so attentive & lovely, making us feel like valued customers & taking the time to chat to us about the preparations & ingredients. Thank you - would happily return when I’m back in Brisbane!

I had a wonderful dining experience at what felt like a classic American diner! The food was absolutely delicious with incredibly generous portions. Despite the Friday evening crowd, the staff remained warm and welcoming throughout my visit. The menu offers all the quintessential diner favourites with great variety. Both indoor and outdoor seating options are available. Overall, it delivered exactly what you'd expect from a traditional American diner with hearty food, friendly service, and that authentic atmosphere.

Amazing vegan food owner is very accommodating and lovely. The portion was huge we couldn't finish all. We were the only table on a Monday night but we did enjoy the quietness. We will come back in future 😃

Can't understand why this place didn't pop up when I was searching for vegan food in Brisbane - very glad I stumbled across this 100% vegan restaurant! The crust of the "chicken" patty in the burger is really delicious, can highly recommend to anyone looking for some vegan alternatives :)

The hamburgers are really good, the dessert is not so good, but for 9 dollars is ok. The waitress was nice. Everything is vegan or vegetarian, you can choose different things on the menu.

As a non vegan this place is 10/10!! I am confused why there was only one other table taken at 8pm on a Saturday night?! The service was great, all employees were so kind and attentive the food was quick and DELICIOUS. We got the eggplant steak gnocchi, spicy buffalo wings & truffle Mac n cheese. 2 girlies were fed and stuffed for $55 like are you kidding?! I also cleaned up my leftovers as soon as I got home. I was too distracted to take a photo of the food before we ate it so here’s a photo after we cleaned up.

DELICIOUS vegan spot, you absolutely need to try the “KFC” plate, sooo delicious! Wonderful comfort food at a good price, love this place!
