I decided to try a different croissant this time – the Persian Love Cake one. It looked amazing, and I absolutely loved the pink rose cream on top. But as for the filling… it was way too sweet. I couldn’t finish the whole croissant because it was just too much. It felt like eating baklava inside a croissant! If the filling were lighter, I think it would be much more enjoyable.

It is largely hype. Grab-and-go spot with standing service, not for lingering. Coffee and chai latte were surprisingly good. For croissants, while there's an interesting selection. I stick to the classics which is the Pain au Chocolat was great. Bring your cards as they are only accepting cashless payment. Credit card surcharge 1.2%

First tried Lune in Melbourne. Been a fan ever since. Visited this outlet twice during our trip. Standouts were the ham and gruyure croissant as well as the sausage roll. Beautiful coffee and friendly service as well.

Fantastic café with great pastries and coffee made with great love. A really good start to the day. Café itself is a bit "cold" but oddly it adds to the charm. In the alleyway, there is also another part to the café where you can sit on some high chairs instead of having to stand

I was really looking forward to trying Lune at South Bank and even walked quite a long way to get there. But the experience was very disappointing. While I was still deciding what to order, the staff showed visible impatience and an unfriendly attitude, as if I was inconveniencing them. It made me feel very unwelcome, so I chose not to order anything in the end. For a place with such a strong reputation, this level of customer service is simply unacceptable.

We buy it for breakfast at 7:30-8:30 a.m. and there was a line wait for order. Another location of LUNE was at Burner lane which was the backside of Hyatt Regency. The croissant, morning bun, and kouign-amann were delicious!

Almond croissant very good. Not too sweet filling. Love that. Went bakery hopping today and dispite the good looks was disappointed by a string of bad pastries. This was the only pastry worth eating. The cabinet wasn't well stocked at 10am and it didn't look at photogenic as other bakery in the area but the product on taste and texture speak for itself. Hope to be back and to give 5 star next time.

Nice selection of pastries. The first cage we visited in Brisbane! I was served coffee though I ordered soy chai latte, they quickly rectified this. The cinnamon scroll was delightful, cinnamon was not overpowering. Pricing is pretty much the same as other cafes nearby. It also seems like all their pastries are made in the same location. Overall a good cafe.

Certainly, one of the best croissants I have tried in Brisbane. (Tried ham & cheese, plain and mushroom croissants. ) not to mention the fabulous bread/ baguettes on offer. scrumptious sweet & savoury options also. Excellent friendly customer service. Delicious coffee. Definitely will be back.

Not sure what’s going on or if the management/ownership has changed but the quality has dropped massively! I used to love the ham and cheese croissant but the last time I had it it was not the same, the ham was different, the cheese was different, and it was served to me microwaved and so was all soft and lost its texture.

Ah what a find! We were on a little hunt for some light brekkie spots and thank Google for bringing this up. We had 2 items each - husband got the pain aux raisin + classique baguette, and I got the chicken&leek pie + strawberry tart. Despite the size it appears like on these pictures, all items were pretty light eats, just perfect on a Saturday morning. Quick service and amazing smiles from all the staff, and we were just beyond happy with the whole experience. A must-try if you're after some French bites/brekkie 🙂

One visit 3 times at the counter, it's hard to hold back when everything I had here made me wanting to go back for more. Excellent service super friendly staff. This place has next level French baking. If I could give it a 6 out 5 I would. Great place to go when you don't know where to go. Feels like France in Brisbane's backyard.

Dropped by last Sep on a whim after watching a movie across the road. We wandered in just past noon and found stock level on the low side (only really one half-filled cabinet) though I have no idea what’s typical. In any case we selected: * almond croissant (croissant aux amandes), $6.80 * croissant suisse, $5.50 - croissant dough, custard, chocolate chips * butter knot, $3.50 - knot of caramelised croissant dough The suisse was more wifey’s choice, and we picked the butter knot for the boy, whereas I had my eyes on the almond croissant. I first tried this about a month prior when a group of friends got together to try a selection of almond croissants from different bakeries. It came in a close 3rd out of the 5 our group tested and a second tasting has confirmed that ranking in my mind - not the best/our favourite, but not a bad option particularly if it's your local. - - - - - Edit/response to owner: yes the actual visit was 5 months ago. The vast majority of my reviews are posted after the fact - some are later than others, and will usually go on IG first (up to a few weeks behind real time depending on my backlog), with Google reviews to follow at some later time (could be the same day as IG, or sometimes much later / when I get around to it). I came. Here as they were rated the best croissants place above others by a review I have read. My croissant had a nice honeycomb structure, so good craftmansship. But it was soggy, doughy not crisp. Yes, I visited in the afternoon, but my own croissants are much more crounchy and not a tough on the second day.

The pink sign is what attracted us to try this place & starving after our recovery session across the road. We were not greeted upon arrival & it was not busy at all.. really felt awkward so we just grabbed menus & found a table. The decor is interesting - colour theme good, however, it’s just missing something - can’t put my finger on it🙃 Food - I ordered the breakfast bagel. Pretty average. The chilli could’ve been a lot nicer with maybe a tomato relish?! It was a very strange taste. My husband thought his meal was average , like it was nice but nothing special. The sweet shelf looked soooo good & I did want to order but the customer service put me off to be very honest. Highlight for me - the banana & coffee thickshake. Very nice.

My mocha latte was good, and the almond milk was especially smooth, which I like. The atmosphere is very nice with plenty of seating both inside and outside. Loses a star because the place isn't clean. I wanted a croissant but I noticed flies in the display case so opted instead not to eat. Heaps of ants on the steps leading into the business. Loses another star because they impose a 1.4% surcharge on card transactions. Almost everyone pays with card these days, so they should just set a proper menu price and do away with all the silly surcharges, similar to what every business already does with GST. Eliminating the card surcharge for honest price transparency and a thorough cleaning, both inside and out, would make this a 5-star place!

Love this cafe! Great food, vegetarian options, lots to choose from and dog friendly! Not to mention the super cute pink atmosphere. Will be back!

Great service and coffee from Andres! ☺️ Loved that they use recyclable cups 🫶🏽 Pastries and bread were delicious, and I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit in them. Hopefully, I’ll get to see some dulce de leche in the pastries soon ❤️

We pass by this cafe quite often. Decided to try it out today after seeing a few reviews from food bloggers. Interesting interior and cafe name. Not exactly my thing though. They should've leaned into the branding and do some co-branding with barbie. Coffee was not bad. Hot chocolate was nice. Service was 5 stars! Lots of interesting bakes. We ordered a ham and cheese croissant. We liked the filling. Croissant was a miss for us, it was very dense and lacking in flavour. There were Sesame seeds sprinkled on the cheese.

Cute cafe however food and coffee was quite average. We tried: • smoked bagel - there was way too much cream cheese, the bagel wasn't toasted enough • big breakfast- can't go wrong with basic breakfast food, brisket was on the dry side tho • mushrooms & polenta - very salty and heavy Croissants were average too, not as flaky and crispy

One of the best croissants in town! Buttery, perfectly flaky, and the smell is just irresistible. Loved the generous size and the variety of flavors available—definitely coming back for more! Unfortunately, you can’t sit and dine in, but it's totally worth grabbing to go.

I stopped by Christian Jacques Bakery early in the morning around 7:30, and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. I tried the Nutella croissants, the almond custard croissant, and the raisin rolls — all of them were absolutely delicious. You can tell everything is freshly baked, and the warm, sweet aroma that fills the bakery makes it even more inviting. On top of the amazing pastries, the customer service was excellent. The staff were cheerful, chatting happily with each other and customers, which made the atmosphere so welcoming. It’s the perfect place to start the morning with a smile (and a croissant!). Highly recommend!

Best french bakery in Brisbane with the best croissants. We’ve been there several times and even the bread is good. This time we tried a sorted selection of croissants, they were all delicious. There are other pastries, but we can’t help ourselves with those croissants. The inside is very soft but the outside crunchy, the fillings are not disappointing, the nutella one has also layers of chocolate in the outside and a very generous filling inside. Same with the baguettes we’ve bought sometimes, the crunchiness from the outside is only the great start as you get to the inside. Just help yourself with a coffee nearby or take them to enjoy at home. This time we stayed by the river in the kangaroo cliffs.

Visited just after 6am on a Saturday. Small line out the door which moved very quickly. Staff were happy and friendly, wonderful French accents. Purchased 9 items at ~$70. Bit pricey but the sizes were all generous. Everything was delicious and fresh. Worth a trip to visit for sure. They were still preparing more dough to keep cranking out more fresh stock for the morning, cool to see happening.

A beautiful bakery with an incredible selection of authentic French pastries. First visit: I tried the almond croissant—not the fluffiest or tastiest I’ve had, but still soft and sweet. My partner had the chocolate éclair, which he found a bit too rich due to the mousse. Still, the variety on offer really impressed me and had me keen to return. Second visit: Oh my gosh—what a difference! My tastebuds were exploding. My friend and I shared the raspberry danish and the custard almond croissant. The raspberry danish was perfection—crispy yet soft pastry, creamy custard in the middle, and a beautiful raspberry jelly on top. The flavour balance was incredible. The custard almond croissant was also delicious—the smooth, flavourful custard paired perfectly with the buttery croissant. Splitting both made for such a great combo. Can’t wait to keep working my way through the pastry cabinet.

Omg pastry heaven. This place was awesome and the pantries we got from there were as well. Next time in Brisbane, I will be back again. Amust for everyone whol loves fresh croissants and more.

Wow 🌺 is the word when you enter this patisserie 💯💯💯It’s like entering a cake, patisserie fantasy world 🌎. I ordered the hazelnut cake gluten-free for my son. My son have asked me to drive all this way for this. I can see why. I ordered the mushroom 🍄 croissant. It was delicious 😋 and very delighted in every bite. Huge eating area and nicely presented outside the bakery. Parking just right in front of bakery. My ideal ❤️❤️❤️patisserie.

I love this shop and the delicious pastries and breads they produce! I regularly go once a week!! So saddened and disappointed 😔 to see the size of croissants and pain au chocolate reduced by almost half when the prices continue to increase! While I understand increases in prices, where is the loyalty to customers that have been with you since you opened?

The baked goods here are to die for, the danishes are deliciously flaky and packed with flavour! The cookies are lovely too, but a bit too sweet for me. The quiches are also amazing, melt in your melt-in-your-mouth quality. It's a shame that the customer service here really lacks. I know it gets busy and is quite popular, but it's a shame that some of the counter staff have a bit of an attitude problem at times and seem to struggle with memorising or taking notes of orders correctly, as I have been handed a wrong order a few times.

Came here yesterday with my Mum and Aunt and had a lovely chat with one of the staff. I’ve only been here a few times but each time I do, they make sure to give you warm and friendly customer service; like catching up with old friends. The food is beautifully presented and tastes amazing. I went back in twice cos my Mum pinched my focaccia😂 There’s such a treasure trove of products to look at, that I need to come back urgently!

Great local shop in the area, here here for ice cream and surprise us how beautiful and tidy place it is. Staff were so friendly and polite, inviting us to try any flavour. Love it, we definitely come back during day time and try there pastries and coffee.

Had the almond croissant - not bad, but it didn’t taste fresh and I’m not sure why but all the almond croissants had a squashed look. It was also smaller than expected for the price. I’ve had much better ones for the same price elsewhere. My friends had the beef burgundy pie and donut - he said both were good. Service was good too.

I stopped by the café for a quick takeaway flat white. The coffee was a great roast, affordable and delicious. I was so happy they were open on a Sunday. Even though I was only there for coffee, I couldn't help but notice how amazing the pastries and baked goods looked. The café had a beautiful French feel and was clearly a very popular spot with the locals. I'll definitely be back to try one of their incredible-looking macarons or even to pick up a cake for a special occasion.

No less then heaven, you walk in and get greeted by the most friendly staff. While ordering coffee saw a fresh tray of almond croissants that were being set in the display - amazing coffee. There’s only a few bakeries that has seating options so most likely I will be heading over to this bakery again this weekend for those fresh almond croissants and breakfast Seems like my usual morning coffee place is about to get changed from another one to this place

Took an early Saturday morning stroll to KSB and were delighted with some tasty ham and cheese croissant, curry pie, Danish and a few other mouthwatering options. Fairly pricey but consistent with other renowned bakeries.

Friendly staff, wonderful pastries! Tried the Bear Claw and the Lamb Pastie. Both were so good, especially the lamb filling! (although the pastry shell was a little thick and hard) Worth coming here again to try other pastries.

I had a trade night in Brisbane this week and was staying near the venue in town. There are a few bakeries around but this one was the closest. Arrived about 8.00 am and it was busy with a queue out the door. The line moved fast and I was served quite quickly. Only two pies on offer, an Osso Bucco and a Wagyu. The sausage rolls are meant to be good and I noticed a fresh batch just out of the oven. I grabbed the Osso Bucco ($12.60) and a couple of sausage rolls ($8.30 each). It was presented nicely in a paper bag and cardboard boxes. They even through in a couple of small containers of tomato relish no charge. I tried the sausage roll first. It was a big sausage roll at 242g. The first bight was excellent. The pastry was very buttery with just the right amount of flake. This was obviously house made pastry. I don’t think I have had better anywhere. The filling was almost as good. Firm with a nice slightly spicy flavour with a small amount of carrot mixed through. I rate the sausage roll pastry a 10/10 and the filling an 8/10. It was a big sausage roll so value for money at $8.30 I give a 9/10 for total of 9/10. I rate this sausage roll and I will be returning when I am in the area again just for the sausage roll. Next up the Osso Bucco pie. The pastry was the same buttery style as the sausage roll, so excellent. The first bight I found a nice chuck of meat but it was a bit grisly and tough. Not off to a good start. The rest of the pie had quite a few nice chunks and I am glad to say that they were nice and tender. The flavour of the gravy had a tomato tang and I quite enjoyed it. The pastry rated a 10/10, the filling an 8/10. For $12.60 it was a small pie at 227g so value for money 7/10 for a total of 8/10.

This was our second visit to this bakery for breakfast. We love the coffee here. A little disappointed we had to have takeaway cups as it was a Saturday. All the food was served in takeaway containers as well. I had a vegetarian foccacia & my partner had the lamb pastie. Fillings were generous & tasty

We ordered the Quiche - $7.5 , Beef pie - $9, Almond Choc croissant - $7.5 Quiche was decent 7/10 Beef pie had lots of tender beef chunks in it. Very well marinated meat and gravy. Makes for a filling meal 9/10 Almond Croissant was super flaky and soft on the inside as a croissant should be! 9/10 Unfortunately, the savoury croissants werent obvious enough. It was packed in a warm display under the cashier. Will be back for those savoury ones!

I really loved the food and croissant here! The croissant wasn’t greasy at all—it had a beautiful, layered texture that was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The sauce on the main dish paired perfectly with the flavors, and the fried items were cooked just right. Everything was super satisfying!

I came here especially for the famous Dubai pistachio croissant, and wow — it did not disappoint. Rich, decadent, and absolutely mouth-watering, I had to enjoy it in two sittings because of how indulgent it was. My friend ordered the cheesecake, which she liked but wasn’t overly blown away by. Our coffees were decent and paired well with the sweets. Overall, a lovely spot for a treat, especially if you’re chasing that pistachio croissant.

Absolutely love this cafe for breakfast/ brunch. The corn fritters are 10/10. So delicious. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. A bit on the pricier side but worth it. Lots of yummy things to choose from in the pastry cabinet. It’s always quite busy but street parking is usually easy to find.

The menu, the speed of food arrival, the friendly staff are all amazing. Very generous servings. The flavour layering in the lamb shoulder dish was lush.

An excellent cafe in the heart of Paddington where the quality of food is matched with the freshness and friendly atmosphere and service! Great flavours and coffee….. don’t look too far if you need a good local cafe! Enjoy

I came here on a Sunday for a gathering with friends. The atmosphere was great and very relaxing. I recommend making a reservation in advance on weekends. The food was all quite good, except for the seaweed on the side of the eggs Benedict — it was tasteless and greasy. That said, it was still a very enjoyable dining experience overall.

The food was good. The Dubai chocolate had an interesting texture — a bit sweet, but nice as a snack when you’re feeling tired. However, I had an uncomfortable experience with the customer service. It was busy and a bit noisy, so maybe the staff couldn’t hear me clearly — I understand that. But the black hair female staff member who took my order spoke to me in a surprisingly sharp tone. I ordered a latte and some pastries for takeaway, and I asked to have the croissant heated. Even though I clearly answered her questions, she said things like, “So, which coffee?” and “I’ll heat it up, but I’m asking — having here or takeaway?” The way she said it felt very much like “So???” or “As I said!!!” — as if she was annoyed, even though I had already responded. I completely understand that miscommunication can happen in a busy environment, but I hope the staff can be a bit more mindful of their tone, even during busy times.

Been here twice now. Weekend is definitely the best time to go as you can try the specials - I keep thinking about the yummy pistachio Cinnabon but I haven’t been able to get again. We went on a Wednesday morning but found it to be rather plain and not many interesting choices - however the almond croissant was really good! Would be good to have more specials in the week or some of the best sellers cause I don’t think I’ll go in the weekdays as it’s not worth it.

Place was packed, on public holiday Ekka Wednesday. So of course we got their signature strawberry custard-filled croissant among other pastries, including 2 savoury options and coffee. Cost >$100, unsure how, no receipt offered. Frankly disappointed at the misnamed treat, as it contained a quarter of a stale strawberry, and red colouring. Plenty of thick custard and cream though. The quiche was yummy and warm. Place was too packed for any semblance of good customer service to occur.

I visited Darvella Patisserie and tried their banana and chocolate muffin, spinach and ricotta sausage roll, and a cappuccino. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced — the muffin was moist with a lovely banana aroma, and the sausage roll had a delicious, flaky pastry with a nice cheesy filling. The cappuccino was smooth and well-made, a great match for the pastries. The café itself has a pleasant, cozy atmosphere with comfortable seating, perfect for a morning date or a relaxed catch-up. The only downside was the house flyers, which felt a bit unnecessary or distracting on the tables. Overall, a great spot for breakfast or a light brunch — definitely worth visiting again!

One of my regular fave cafes to either dine-in at or get takeaway. They have the most divine pastries + coffee and I love that I can bring my pup with me to sit outside in the sun.

I’m not gonna lie, my expectations with this one were high and I’d say it’s average. Not many options when I got there (around 10:50 am on a Monday). We ordered a coffee, a ham and cheese sando and croque Monsieur. The coffee came super fast, 10/10. My partner loved the ham and cheese sandwich but the monsieur cream was a bit off. Not bad, but not the best. We also ordered a tiramisu, it was okay. Quite light for a tiramisu but I understand the food safety aspects when making it. I’d come to have a second opinion.

This place is definitely popular and it has a great array of fancy looking pastries. The family went here to try as it was recommended to us but, whilst it was good, we wouldnt go back. Pastries were good. Coffee was good. But it was all a little expensive and not worth it to us. I did like the atmosphere though and the service was reasonably quick even though very busy. Parking is a problem with the popularity so you will need to walk in from the side streets.

Great spot for delicious, high-quality baked goods. So many great options that it was hard to choose! My pork and fennel sausage roll was excellent, as was my chocolate croissant. Almond milk mocha latte also good. Fast and friendly service. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Loses a star because they impose a surcharge on card transactions. Almost everyone today pays with card, so they should just do what all the other cafes are doing these days and set a proper, honest and transparent menu price that includes the assumed card payment processing costs and do away with all the silly back-end surcharges, similar to what every business already does with GST. They could always choose instead to offer a discount to the few customers who still pay with cash.

Thought we would try and see what the hype was about.... The hype was real. I'm 39 years old and had my share of sausage rolls but good god almighty hands down best sausage roll I've ever had. Had some cakes, also game changing and the bread is lovely.

Yet another bakery on my list, and it did not disappoint. The decor on the inside was a good mix of the nostalgic chic (if that’s a thing). The amount of space was a welcome site, not cramped 1ft. away from the next person like most other dine-in spots. The French baked goods were of excellent quality, full of flavour. I have been to many bakeries, and always love when I find a new twist on a classic, or a punch of something different. It’s time to try this place, unless you already have (then try again).

Not a horrible selection, but the pastries appear quite small and flat compared to competitor bakeries. The cookies are also very small for the price. The service was pleasant and I like that there is parking nearby and seating available. I tried the lamb pie and pork roll, it was pretty good but nothing to rave about.

My husband was in the area and I requested him to drop in to get the Guinness beef pie, pork fennel sausage roll and almond pretzel. He brought it home and we reheated the savouries in the air fryer for a few minutes before eating. Amazing! The puff pastry was crispy and the sausage roll was so tasty. My husband thought the pie was a little too salty but I didn’t mind. Almond pretzel was delicious too. The only down side is the parking, not easy to get parking on a busy day.

The was my first time going to banner on bakery and it was a pretty good . The prices were decent the food was pretty too good but it wasn’t worth the price but it was fresh and all . Worker were very kind and the area was very warm and nice good experience 8/10

Was once the best almond croissant in town, lately though it has gone down hill. This is today’s offering. Poor presentation and no crunch. To be far they did offer to swap it with another, but they were all similar. Next time I’ll go down the road. Sorry Banneton.

I ordered the pair and pistachio cake slice and I was okay with the flavour. It wasn't anything special for me however my friend enjoyed it. I need to come back and try some of the savoury options because I believe they are more tailored to my flavours. The cafe was very nice and cosy and the staff were also nice.

The fritata vego is so good had to post a review immediately. Soft and moist egg layer. So delicious and filled with vege goodness. Gave it a 4* coz that's all we had. We'll be back to try the pastries and sandwiches

One of the better bakeries around Gabba area. Thought the coffee was alright and the almond croissant 🥐 was a bit on the dense side compared to the usual flaky ones I have. Still prefer flakier croissants but this was not bad as well. I did like their fruit tarts though! It was really tasty and refreshing.

Had the recommended almond pretzel, chocolate chip cookie & almond croissant & air fried them for 4 minutes. Bought them at 11am but they seemed old. One of the worst bakery almond croissants I’ve had haha. From the pics you can see - there are no layers in the croissant and not many almonds on top. When you bite into it it’s just all filling (that tastes like a strong yucky almond) , so it’s mushy - only the outermost layer is crispy. The almond pretzel was EXTREMELY sweet - the inside was wet and soaked with the glaze instead of the glaze just sitting on the outside. Because of that it was also mushy so when you bit into it so you got an overload of sugar. Took two bites of each and couldn’t eat anymore. Extremely disappointing, wouldn’t recommend or come back.

Nothing special from my view. The bakery - pain au chocolat - isn’t surprisingly good, or even below the average. But the price is high.

I came here twice during my stay in Brisbane. The Four Cheese Spinach croissant was good. I wish it had more cheese and was a little more flaky on the outside. The seasonal danish, which was plum in my case is a banger item. Have to get it if you're coming here. They put like half a plus on this bad boy. I would eat this again. The staff are friendly and very nice. Good spot to visit.

I had the seasonal fruit tart and it was very nice. The bakery has lots of pastries options. Will come back to try other ones. Next time I will try the savoury items. Coffee was well made too.

The plain croissant was amazing - flaky, dense and crispy. The pumpkin tart was a bit underwhelming. Recommend their croissant, one of the best I’ve had.

I was walking down the street and came across a delicious smell of bread so I went into a store. The store has a simple design. The bread was varied and the sandwiches were very tasty.

Service was friendly. It wasn’t busy. Only 3 tables inside. Lemon meringue was yum with a croissant like base. Not too tart. Special rhubarb pistachio croissant was delicious.

I love this bakery, I happily drive the 30min to it because I feel their croissants are the best in Brisbane (notable favourites are the chocolate hazelnut and the smoked salmon). I almost don’t want to leave a review in case too many people buy croissants 😅

I’ve been here numerous times, but it’s been a while since I’ve visited. I love their Hazelnut croissant, however, what I was served today at $8.80 left me wondering whether they’ve changed their chef or have they decided to change up the shape of their pastries? Because I felt like I was served half a croissant 😅 I couldn’t tell at the time since the gentlemen took the croissant closest to him (as you would) and placed it into a takeaway box so I couldn’t see the full product. Aside from that, the pear danish was delightful though! (excuse my cross section cut in the photo).

Really really great quality patisseries and I lived off them in Paris and the flan here was comparable. The cake was perfect it was just layered perfectly and very aesthetically pleasing. Really great presentation. One of the coffees were incredible the other was a little burnt and bitter however the good one made up for it. The only reason I’m giving this a 4 star is because upon arrival there wasn’t much variety at all. Not what’s advertised on google maps/images so it was a little bit of a let down when there were only 7 pastries to choose from (inclusive of cakes/flan and croissants). Would love to come back to see other varieties as per advertisement as they look incredible. Still very happy with the products offered.

Those cakes are too yummy. The Asian highest compliment: they are not too sweet. The mandarin jam in the middle of the chestnut cake is a real hidden gem!!! Will definitely come back and try more cake

Omgggg so delicious!! Everything I've tried has fine delicate flavours and is beautifully made and presented. The ham and cheese croissants have bechamel sauce in them so they're like croque Monsieur, their pastry is to die for - sweet or savoury, the custard (I normally can't stand custard and remove it) is perfectly balanced and paired with seasonal fruit - I can't think of what other praises to sing but I'll happily go out of my way to come to Reno. Plus they make a great coffee 👌👌😁😁

Reno Fine Patisserie makes some of the best croissants. Perfectly buttery, flaky, and light with a golden crisp exterior and soft layers inside. Always fresh and absolutely delicious!

Well defined textured layers. A crispy first exterior layer with a great crunch through multiple satisfying layers. A nice amount of buttery smoothness, avoiding any dryness without tasting doughey. Not overly dense, and not overly fluff, which so often just ends up getting compressed into a hard thin layer you have to tear at. No teeth ripping here, rather a great balance between buttery smoothness, crispiness and chewiness. The lack of layered textures is something I feel many pattiserie's miss, making their multiple layers and high price meaningless. And all without making you sick, or tasting obviously sugary. Edit: Also, they don't skimp on the filling. Yeah, it's good.

Love this place and have done for years. Everything is delish. Great for eat in or take out breakie and lunch and take home treats. I do morn the loss of the deluxe bacon and egg roll though.

Ignore the parking & staff comments...There is always somewhere to park on a side street or what not. Also, you come for bakery goods & bread which is worth it! Tried the fruit buns and some little cakes too...just delicious! No complaints from me 💝 Brew hi top and all varieties that I've tried so far have 100% quality & tastiness. Will be back plenty of times, regardless of parking or staff 😉

Farewell Brewbakers. You've been a stalwart institution of Albion for longer than I remember. Great bread - I particularly loved the bagels. The sourdough jam donuts were always a hit in the office, and the pizza bases were great for a quick and easy dinner for Friday night footy. Lovely, friendly staff. Such a shame you're leaving us on the 15th :( You will be missed.

Best Sourdough I have had in Brisbane. I get a loaf every Saturday morning now.

Have been a few times and while i have enjoyed their bread, their pastries are something to be desired. Not only this, but have had some awkward and unpleasant encounters with one of the older female staff members (whom other reviewers seem to have similar experiences with). After being berated for parking in the carpark, and being spoken to in an almost hostile tone, Brew Bakers has only left a bad taste in my mouth.

Incredible coffee, amazing service, best sourdough I've had in SE QLD. Hard to park sometimes since some people park in the car park and walk off, but not the business's fault. Highly recommend if you want great bread!!!!!

Sourdough bread here is on the rustic side and very cost performant. Though I personally prefer loaves with a stronger ferment and softer crust (a la "Infinity" or "B&B project") the large variety of breads, as well as the friendliness of the staff, make up for the slight shortcomings. Good stuff! Well worth a small drive. 5/5

The coffees served were a great match but I would say that their expertise is lies mainly with bakery items. Service was friendly if a little rushed, staff seem to get along with eachother well and strive to deliver quality. Seems very spacious behind the counter, which is a little odd considering how little space there is for patrons. Does have beautiful decorations that help give it that authentic artisian bakery feel

This place has some very wonderful things on the menu! The Carrot Cake is beyond amazing and unlike any other that I've tried. The spices are so well balanced and the generous bites of walnut through the cake make you smile when you find them.

My favourite breakfast-- I look forward to every Saturday morning for my weekly almond croissant and latte! Such a hidden gem of a place, and such lovely staff.

Duddeeeeeeee. This place is a game changer for me. Their products are absolutely delicious and high quality ingredients. Service is wonderful, like I can’t say this strongly enough. Everyone is smiling and actually asking you genuine questions and you can tell they mean it. A huge range of pastries and breads. Definitely worth the wait, and trust me it’s almost always out the door.

It's not often you have a dessert and then think about it for a few days afterwards. The chocolate tart is that dessert here. If they have the chocolate tart then you need to get yourself. The seasonal plum dessert is good too. This was all on my first visit. I came for a 2nd visit today and got the potato pie and the chocolate croissant. The potato pie was great. Had a bit of everything inside with the potato to give it a warm taste. The chocolate croissant was good too. It had a nice flaky crust too. A must stop bakery if you're in Brissy....even for one night only. You won't regret it. Unless you can't get the chocolate tart too.

Some of the best sourdough I’ve ever had. First tried it at salt recently on their banana toast and loved its chewy and fresh yet soft texture. Yesterday I decided to try the smoky potato fermented sourdough which is listed as one of their bestsellers. I am in love. Had with tahini and maple syrup and so chewy, fresh and buttery. Will be back. They did say the oven is malfunctioning so they were unable to make it as smoky as usual so I’m curious in the future how this potato loaf will differ in taste. Prepare for lines

There is a line outside the door as per usual. It's easy to see why. A nice layout with quality bread and pâtissière is on display. We had a beef and mushroom pie a potato croissant and a kougin amann. Unfortunately the pie was lacking flavour and both it and the croissant were undercooked and doughy. The kougin amann was nice with a delicious custard and it was cooked through. The coffee is excellent! Friendly fast service. Don't be deterred if there is a queue. Perhaps we just got a batch from the oven which wasn't hot enough. Not prepared to give a poor rating on one visit. So 3 stars for the food. Hopefully next time it will be better. Recommended!

Omg it’s one of the best bakery in the city I found so far!!! Always a queue but definitely worth waiting. The staffs are warming and energetic. Wide selection, made me hard to choose!! 100% get Basque cheesecake. God quality sourdough as well. I’d love to try all of them.

There was a good balance of texture for sure. Their other selection also looked quite amazing, which I would also like to try one day. The outside decoration isn't too special but I liked the inside of the shop, since you could see them handle the bakery as well! Nice warm colours and a fast service by the staff as well. The croissants here are on the crispier side, with a delightful flaky texture. The almond croissant has a unique touch of honey, making it a bit sweeter than usual, but in a lovely way. I also tried a savoury croissant called the “Bear Crawl”—shaped like a bear paw and filled with salmon. Such a creative and thoughtful combination! The almond cookie was also delicious—more of a soft cookie, but still with a nice crisp edge. The pastries here definitely stand out from other places; they have their own unique character. No wonder it’s always busy. Worth a try!

This café in the neighbourhood is an experience to walk to (steep hill down and up) but such a lovely place with multiple seating areas indoor, outdoor, upstairs and upstairs outdoor. Yummy bakes and coffee. Atmosphere was very nice for breakfast. Please check opening hours before going.

There was a long line, but it was totally worth it! I’m not a local, so maybe I picked the wrong time to try it for the first time – but I’m so glad I did. I literally fell in love with the grapefruit croissant – absolutely divine! The coffee was great too. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

In this converted Queenslander you’ll find some of the best pastries in Brisbane. Moreover, Riser is widely regarded as one of the best sandwich places in the city. The Chicken Caesar sandwich is the real highlight here - the housemade sourdough is absolutely top notch. Slight drawback of this place is due to the high demand, finding a seat can be tricky at peak times and it’s pretty much self-serve everything - cutlery/napkins, water, order at counter only. That said, they will still bring things out to you and the staff are incredibly friendly and seem to really enjoy working there. Nice garden and great seating upstairs towards the back of the house.

One might assume that this is a cafe, but such an assumption would be disingenuous. This is a bakery. This is a bakery that just so happens to serve coffee on the side. The batch coffee I had was certainly a batch coffee, if a bit on the weak side, but really the drink is just there for set dressing - what you’re really here for are the pastries. What I had was thus; a pork, apple, and fennel sausage roll with homemade relish, and a quince danish. Firstly, the sausage roll. I will admit that I do not have much experience with sausage rolls; mention a sausage roll to me and I will automatically assume a sausage, casing and all, within a pastry. However, I will gladly admit that this sausage roll was good. Very good. The pastry is crisp and substantial without being overbearing, and the meat is flavourful and not at all dried out - both of which pair well with the tomato relish, which is light and not at all obtrusive to the flavour of the main dish itself. Then, the quince danish. I will also admit that I have not had quince before - it simply doesn’t appear in the market where I am from. What I did get, however, was a nice crisp layered pastry, with a hint of caramelisation on the top around the fruit. The fruit itself had been cooked till nice and soft, placed atop a hint of cream that helped lighten the palate. The layers of pastry flaked apart readily but did not crumble into disparate pieces - they have their own structural integrity, a rigidity to them which only enhances the experience when you do eventually bite into those layers and feel them shatter in your mouth. Make no mistake, these might be some of the best pastries I’ve had in my life. The common fashion would be that of a cafe that outsources its pastries to a third party; this place does the opposite, choosing to hyper-focus on its baked goods, and it certainly delivers. tl;dr: passable coffee, but who cares when the pastries are bloody amazing?

Loved this place! We went for the sausage rolls and were very impressed. We recommend getting the house made tomato relish as a side! We tried the pork/apple/fennel and classic beef and both were so good. We also ordered coffees and they came out super quick and were very tasty. I got a loaf of the seedy boy bread as well and there was a 30% discount because it was “imperfect!” I love that they don’t reject the less than perfect loaves, because I didn’t think there was anything wrong with it myself! The vibes are also amazing. Walking up I said it felt like a little cafe in Hawaii :)

Sausage roll slightly burnt and peach iced tea looks quite green and tastes like water. Besides this the ham and cheese croissant was nice and service was also good.

Worst customer service, staff were super short and ignorant. I was waiting to be served and they were just chatting and drinking boost drinks instead of doing their actual job. Coffee is the only decent thing at this place.

Outstanding Every Single Time! The Green Edge is an absolute gem! From the exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff to the fantastically delicious food, everything about this place is a joy. The dining layout is lovely and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. We loved it so much that we came back three days in a row during out visit to Brisbane, and every experience was just as incredible as the last. Consistency like that is rare and worth celebrating. If you’re looking for amazing food, warm service, and an all-around wonderful dining experience, The Green Edge is the place to go. We can’t recommend it highly enough — five stars without a doubt!

We have been loyal customers for the last many years, so it’s about time I leave a review 😅 Their staff always have outstanding customer service skills, and the food is always amazing. Our favourites are of course the VFC, katsu curry, and lasagna. And their frappes are so yummy.

The green edge is our favourite! We absolutely adore the food and it always has a great range of specials. We bring our golden retriever and she also loves the atmosphere (and the extra treaties). The expansion in range, dinner options and uber eats makes vegan and cruelty free food so much more accessible too. Would recommend!

We have been popping in here for a bite & a shop for years and it’s always had so many things for vegans but it’s so nice to see the new owners give it the love it deserves. The shelves are stocked, the space has been cleaned up, the service is friendly and the feeling of a refreshed hub is lovely. First time going for dinner, pizzas were yum and the new deli section looks great.

Wow theres is an abundance of all! Drinks, smoothies, healthy food section, naughty food section and the menu has more than your classic vegan food! I loved mt southern fried chick'n with maple, so nice to try. Thank yaaaaa ill send all my friends here

The spaghetti bolognese with meatballs here was really something special. Every bite was packed with rich, authentic flavors that kept me wanting more. Their fresh juice was perfectly balanced too and hit the spot. I love that it's right next to a well-stocked vegan grocery store. It's like a little food hub where you can enjoy a great meal and then pick up some quality ingredients on your way out. You can choose to sit inside for a cozy feel or outside if you want some fresh air. The staff genuinely care about making sure you have a good time, and you can tell they enjoy what they do. This place really delivers on good food at fair prices with a relaxed atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a satisfying meal in a welcoming spot.

The place looks good in James Street. The cake tastes good, but honestly, the takeaway packaging is not accessible and is not easy to eat. It’s a lot of mess, and the price is above the market, and you can’t find the same quality in different shops.

We came in from overseas and needed some catering help. The team at Jocelyn’s Provisions were friendly and helpful. The food was truly excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely use them again. The mini cakes we ordered as a thank you for nursing staff at a nearby hospital were very well received.

Jocelyn’s Provisions off of James St is a lovely spot for a morning coffee and some people watching. The food was great overall — the chocolate croissant was yum, though I personally would’ve liked it a bit more buttery. The spinach roll was definitely the highlight — flaky, savoury, and perfectly seasoned. Coffees were okay, and the service was friendly and efficient. A beautiful little bakery with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it well worth a visit.

We ordered the blueberry & lemon cake - it was the perfect take home treat - beautifully made, full of flavour, the icing was zesty & absolutely delicious! The staff were very friendly & professional & they greeted us warmly. It is a very small shop but it packs a mighty punch with both sweet & savoury options, people politely queue which is always a very positive sign. This was our very first experience @ Provisions, we look forward to trying more menu options. You won’t be disppointed.

I can’t speak to everything, but the almond croissant was not good and very pricey especially for a bad croissant. It was very soft and dry without much real flavour to it. One POS so if someone in front of you is getting a lot and taking their time it will take awhile until you can check out.

The Coffee and tea as well as cakes are incredible! The beans are sourced from environmental and ethical farms. Their decaffeinated coffee has won awards. Talk to Scott the owner and barista, he can advise on choice of coffees and teas. And know so much about how environmentally friendly milk and coffee businesses in Australia. And what products and ingredients they use are all chemical free and environmentally and ethically sourced So great to see passionate business make a change for the better. So come on support small business who have you health at heart :)

I visited Jocelyn’s Provisions on James Street and had such a lovely experience! Mia recommended the almond croissant, pain au chocolat, caramel slice, and funfetti cake and all of them were absolutely delicious. The almond croissant was a standout, I shared it with my Mum and she said it was the best she’s ever had! Kaitlin made me an oat cappuccino that was smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and everything was beautifully presented. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates quality pastries and great coffee.

Love coming to Whisk for a nice brekkie. Good vibes, and delicious pastries. My all time favourite is Pork Floss croissant, sesame creme brûlée pastry and the cakes

Mediocre cafe and pastries. I tried the 3 cheese pastry and the peanut croissant. Both tasted ok but quite bland and nothing outstanding and in my opinion the pastry could definitely do with more butter. The 3rd time I was there it was around 11 am mid week and there was literally 1 savory croissant option and few chocolate cakes left in the display!!! Overall not much in terms of the variety or unique/innovative pastries or patisseries (at least the Mount Gravatt location) and I don’t count the whisk patisserie among the top pastry shops of the Brisbane and would not recommend it unless one is imminently starving😅.

A nice place to have a morning breakfast. The pastries are really nice. I took a ride about 25 minutes to get there. I will say the atmosphere is pretty good and it was on by the Taiwan boss so did you speak English and Chinese.

My review is for the whisk in the city the costumer service is the worst I’ve encountered in brisban. Staff are terrible u wanted to sit down for breakfast and they will tell h ko u can’t sit there. If I have to go to a cafe and spend money well I’m pretty sure I’m allowed to sit where I’m comfortable. Plus having a pram and kids with me I want to be in a less crowd corner so I don’t disturb others. But instead the staff at intersection has refused me twice and let me leave. Too bad this business is beyond terrible. Not worth it at all. So I went to my fav pastry place in kangaroo point and picked up a bag of croissants. I recommend Christian and Jacques kangaroo point if you love pastry.

Beautiful perfect, flakey pastries and croissants! Delicious coffee too. Tucked away in a location that is away from the hustle and bustle of Garden City. Makes you feel you're in a little village in France. Highly recommended! Friendly team, and so humble.

This is one of the best croissants I've had in Brisbane. For $4.4 for a plain croissant this is much better than some of the other places that charge $7. I didn't try their coffee so I can't comment on that but overall good experience. Wish the opening hours were longer though. Would be a nice place to chill for coffee after lunch.

This was my first time here, and it did not disappoint at all the coffee is amazing and the food is absolutely fantastic. I wish I'd taken photos to share but I ate it far too quickly 😭 will be coming here again for sure!!

This place is soooo good 20/10, their prices are the best in town. Others places I have been to charges way more for much lower qualities. Their coffee are really good too, an other customer in line told me that he comes here just for their coffee. I cannot fault anything at La Bouche, their staffs are friendly and helpful. The shop itself is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. My husband surprised me in the morning with a large box of sweet goods and we were back by 10 am to try their coffee and pies. Every item is made with fresh ingredients, they even use French butter. Tips: 1. Get there early, as everything my husband got that morning was already sold out. 2. Be patient, there could be a big line up at the front of the store. 3. Make sure you are hungry, as you will not be able to walk out with only one item. 4. No matter how far you live, it will be worth the drive. 5. Not only are the sweet goods great, their chicken, leak and white wine pie are to die for. 6. On Saturdays, they bake special items. BE EARLY, as they are sold out quickly. I can go on and on, but the best way to find out is to taste everything for yourselves.

Wow! I walked in this morning and the food looked amazing. Unfortunately I was there for some hot drinks. The flat white and chai latte were soleless - unless you like the taste of warm milk for $15 (two drink price). Disappointed.

Update: This is now an online shop only. You can order everything then pick it up. Unfortunately, not as much selection compared to their storefront shop. More just for gifts and special occasions. This French patisserie is a fantastic way to start your morning. It’s a local spot, with many regulars lining up, which is usually a good sign. The selection of pastries, both savoury and sweet, will meet all your indulgent needs. Regular weekend specials and different presentation styles of the classics is a nice touch. There’s also an array of fresh breads that is a must to try. The ingredients are definitely quality, which makes it stand out among many. The only miss is the lack of pricing on the goods. Even so, I was surprised at the low price compared to what you get.

Previously a hidden gem but becoming well known now due to excellent reputation. A home-style, high quality French bakery/patisserie ran by a friendly, genuine couple who really put their heart and soul into their business. Everything looks immaculate with fine attention to detail. Products are delicious and of high quality, worth their price. Most busy on Saturdays and come earlier to avoid disappointment. Nothing else of their calibre in the general area. 🙂🥐

After a sudden closure, they have now reopened as an online shop. So glad that we could order their Christmas items this year again! They are our favorite and very good 😍🎄💖

Simply amazing! Michael and the team do an amazing job with all of their pastries. The coffee is better than anywhere else around the Redlands. If you haven't been to experience this yet, it is definitely worth getting there early so you get to pick from the selection each day before it is sold out. They even do pappuccinos for our Labrador, so the whole family loves to go and visit. Keep up the great work!

Luv this little shop. Tried their Butterscotch white chocolate croissant, Chicken Leek pie and Wagyu Beef sausage roll. The croissant was good. Pie was delicious. Staffs were nice and friendly.

Quick service, good vibes and very tasty pastries/ sweets. We came here on a random occasion as we were passing by and looking for a snack. This cafe was on the main street and had attracted quite a queue. We decided to check it out and were not disappointed! The cafe itself is quite small but they have a good range of foods. The vibe is very down to earth and clean, and they have a good mix of sweet and savoury foods. We were stumped by the choice and ended up just getting one of the Millefeuille cakes (as there was only one left after the guy in front of us purchased one, and it was labeled as a bestseller). The lady who served us was friendly and patient, but also very efficient. The cake itself was boxed up, which was a welcome surprise (as I expected it to just be put into a paper bag). The cake itself was great. The texture of the other “shell”/layers was nice and crispy, but also had the perfect amount of flakiness. The custard was sweet but not overpowering and somehow it didn’t make the cake soggy. It definitely seemed authentic and I’d recommend! I would definitely be keen to try other cakes and food here!

Patisserie on Oxford Street with a small number of tables. Staff are pleasant. It was busy but the line moved quickly. Lots of sweet & savoury options to choose from. We had an apple cinnamon pastry, sausage roll, raspberry tart & lemon meringue. All yummy. They also serve coffee. Would return.

Came here after seeing a viral TikTok claiming they had “life-changing baguettes,” but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the hype. The baguette felt more like something you'd grab from a quick takeaway spot — not toasted, underwhelming in flavour, and definitely not worth the fanfare. For something we dined in to eat, it felt rushed and basic. What left a particularly sour impression, though, was the service. We came as a group of three and ordered one item each, one after the other. Just as the last person in our group was about to pay, a staff member interrupted and asked if an older Caucasian woman could go ahead of us. It was an uncomfortable moment — not just the timing, but also the optics of prioritising her payment mid-way through our group's order, especially given that we are young people of colour. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling unwelcome and out of place. Not sure if it’s an off moment from the staff, but between the underwhelming food and the awkward interaction, it’s not a place I’d return to or recommend to others.

Ordered chausson aux pommes and decaf coffee. Not too sweet which was great, could be flakier? Coffee had good micro foam and not sour like other decaf coffee would be. Would come again.

Save yourself the trip as food did not live up to any hype. We tried the vegetarian and salami baguette sandwiches and a vegetarian quiche as well. Tasted like something I could buy from the supermarket. Would not travel to Bulimba just for a bite from here! Most of the staff were lovely. However, I had a very odd interaction when ordering as one of the staff insisted on helping the lady behind me in line first.

A lady working at the cafe was so nice and friendly. 🥰 There were plenty of tables outside, and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. I loved the lemon tart and coffee! Yum😆👍

What a beautiful experience at Rise Bakery! From the moment we arrived, the ambiance, service, and food were exceptional. The marble table setting paired with expertly presented pastries and drinks made for a perfect mid-morning treat. We enjoyed a delicious almond croissant, a beautifully layered pastry with custard and chocolate (possibly a pain suisse or similar), paired with a rich hot chocolate generously topped with chocolate shavings, and a plain iced matcha — smooth, unsweetened, and full of clean, earthy flavour. A refreshing balance to the indulgent pastries. But what truly made the visit memorable was the wonderful service from Marcia. Her warm smile, attention to detail, and kind presence elevated the entire experience. It’s always lovely when a place not only serves great food, but also has people who make you feel genuinely welcome. Thank you, Marcia, and thank you, Rise Bakery, for a delightful visit. We’ll definitely be back!

📍Rise Bakery Portside Wharf, Shop 7.01F/39 Hercules St, Hamilton QLD 4007 Speaking of pastries, Brisbane really has a lot to offer!❤️ This particular one is located in Hamilton, and the interior design is inspired by Italian palace style. Unfortunately, I arrived late — by 10:45, the apple turnover pies were already sold out! Luckily, there were still two Lunettes left — croissant filled with vanilla custard — which was also really good! It was not too sweet, and pairs perfectly with a cappuccino. The look of it also has my heart and not to mention, they added chocolate flakes to the cappuccino — most places I’ve tried usually only add chocolate powder instead. Altogether, it costed $12. If you haven’t been there yet, it’s time to check it out!🥐⭐️

Well presented French patisserie cafe at Portside. We stopped to try the coffee & pastries for morning tea. It was a pleasant experience. Staff were friendly & the decor classy. Coffee was alright & apple turnover, eclair & croissant were delicious. Would return.

One of the best cappuccinos around the area. I don’t have a sweet tooth, but I love their vanilla éclair, as well as their ham and cheese croissant. The sausage roll is very nice too, though I noticed it’s better to get them in the morning — I tried getting one in the afternoon once, and it wasn’t at its best compared to earlier in the day. I also love how friendly the staff are.

Absolutely amazing experience here today We both ordered the ham and cheese croissants and they were amazing, absolutely filled with ham and the cheese was delicious. Our deserts were the St Bart and the vanilla eclair, we shared each and they were divine !! Caramel latte was a hit as he ordered a second one ! The staff are all lovely and the place is beautiful. Will definitely visit again

Fantastic bakery at Portside in Brisbane. A great selection of cakes complimented by a good range of food offerings and excellent coffee. The staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere warm. Highly recommend this venue for a relaxing coffee and meal.

I recently visited Rise and unfortunately, my experience was not up to par with my previous visits. The Flat White was very watery and the milk wasn't hot enough. Additionally, we ordered hot chocolate, but it was also very thin and lacked richness. This visit was quite different from the experience I had six months ago. I hope they can address these issues, as I used to enjoy coming here.

Have tried the cookies a few times now over the years. First time was great when we had them delivered, but that was when only one store and not many. Last couple of times we’ve purchased from the airport to take back to Sydney and the cookies are so undercooked they are almost inedible. So soft and mushy they fell apart when holding in your hands. If you like eating raw cookie dough then you’ll like them. Also way overpriced! More quality control required and/or a ‘secret shopper’ style of control and review would be beneficial. Photos show just one of the cookies but they were all like this, regardless of if they had a filling or not.

I finally tried Brooki Cookies, and wow, they absolutely live up to the hype. The cookies are big, soft in the center with that perfect chewy bite, and loaded with flavor. They taste homemade but elevated, with just the right balance of sweetness and richness. I especially loved how fresh they were, still warm when I got them, which made the chocolate gooey and irresistible. The variety is also impressive; whether you’re into classic choc chip or something more creative, there’s a cookie for you. They’re definitely indulgent, but that’s the point, it feels like a treat worth savouring. Price-wise, they’re on the higher side compared to regular cookies, but the size and quality make it worth it. Overall, I’d say Brooki Cookies are some of the best gourmet cookies I’ve had. Perfect for gifting, sharing (if you can resist eating them all yourself), or just spoiling yourself on a sweet craving day. Highly recommend!

Quite generous, soft cookies. The fillings were a little clumpy but overall still an enjoyable treat. I found that the cookies were really crumbly however and would’ve preferred them to hold together a bit more.

Finally tried brooki bake house! It exceeded expectations! Been following for years on tik tok as I’m from the uk I had to stop off in Brisbane for this alone. I must say they did not disappoint! Absolutely beautiful. Currently reading the book and I’m so excited to test the recipes when I’m home. Thankyou

We decided to check out the hype,.and this is what I know after having tried various cupcakes and cookies from Brooki . 5/5 - Carrot cupcake $7 I enjoyed the carrot cake cupcake , this had all the makings of a traditional carrot cake, and it was nice and moist, as well as a little dense . The icing and the crumbed walnut on top was absolutely spot on . 2/5 - salted Caramel $7 The vanilla sponge honestly was borderline too dry , but right in that sweet spot between the perfect sponge and one you would buy in a packet. The sponge just tasted manufactured much like one from Coles would . I enjoyed the topping , and had the perfect amount of caramel swirl, but for $7 you would expect to find a little more than a basic vanilla sponge as a base. Now for the cookies 🍪 After sampling the NYC , double choc, and the white choc & Macadamia , I have mixed opinions about the texture and the flavour. I am partial to a softer cookie, but these are undercooked, and essentially like eating straight cookie dough beyond the soft crusty edges . The NYC was a good cookie , but definitely not an $8 cookie on a good day . The double Choc cookie had the exact same taste and texture of that of a Coles double Choc cookie , only you get 6 for $3.85 🤔 The white Choc Macadamia had a nicely balanced flavour , but 90% of it was just cookie dough . So in summary , putting all the social media hype aside, I have absolutely had better at a fraction of the cost . I can only assume at this point , that alot of the fanfare is purely on the back of social media influencers, and consumers flocking to these outlets just to get their hands on a Brooki bag to be a part of this movement. YOU MUST TRY DRZLE WESTFIELD MT GRAVATT ( Garden City ) - No1 😍

Heard a lot about Brooki and decided to try it at Brisbane domestic airport. The food presentation in the cabinet is amazing - well presented and large array of different cupcakes, cookies and macarons. I decided get the peanut butter brownie. It was ok - soft moist and quite tasty. Didn’t blow my socks off and I thought the prices were expensive. $9 for the brownie for an average/small piece.

Brooki is so yummy and lovely!!! I always go on weekends to get those Brooki cookies because ugh I love them!!! Definitely recommend OG chocolate chip and red velvet hehe

💛Kenilworth Bakery Samford is wildly delicious. Where else can you drink your coffee out of a donut and then eat the cup? Pure genius. The pastries are top-tier, the 1kg donut 🍩is an epic sugar adventure (bring friends…and the vibe is super chill. The staff are lovely, the coffee is strong, and the sugar rush is totally worth it. If you haven’t been yet go. Your taste buds will thank you. 💛

Great to have Kenilworth Bakery so close to home. Bit of a shame to see the prices not reflected what is indicated online ($9+ per donut) but still great quality. Expect a line out the door, however the staff do a great job of keeping it moving steadily. Seems like all the food is made fresh and on-site which was great to see.

A nice big outdoor area (with covered areas) with plenty of seating. Always a big line but it moves pretty quickly. I had the Nutella and peanut donut. Plenty of Nutella inside and on top. Personally I would like more peanut butter inside as well (it was just on top). I couldn’t find any bathroom facilities so not sure if they have those. The coffee donuts are good too. They have gluten free and vegan options too. And donuts for dogs Street parking can get very busy in Samford.

I just want to leave a review for this bakery to show our appreciation. We drove more than an hour to try their famous 1kg donuts, and everything was absolutely delicious—worth every dollar! Before heading home, we decided to buy a couple of dog biscuits for our dog since the bakery is dog-friendly and sells pet biscuits and treats. We wanted to surprise her and give her something to be excited about. However, when we got home, we realized we forgot to ask whether the biscuits contained oats, as our dog is allergic to them. We contacted the bakery through Instagram, and we didn’t have to wait for many hours for their reply. We know they’re busy, but they still took the time to respond as soon as they could. We truly appreciate their kindness and willingness to offer a full refund, even though it was our fault for not asking beforehand. The food was really great, but what makes this place even more special is how kind and understanding they are to their customers. There are only a few places like that, and we’re so happy this bakery is one of them. Thank you so much, and we will definitely recommend this place to others!

Staff were so friendly and patient, and lots of staff were rostered since it was so popular! Barely any wait considering how many customers there were! We bought some of the 1kg donuts and then a six pack of mixed. Very impressive looking and packed with care. Donuts travelled well and were delicious. My only regret is not having a bigger appetite. The outdoor seating is ample and covered, and the coffee was well priced and delicious too. We will definitely be back to try more flavours.

Great cafe in Samford Village. It is definitely worth the visit although they have 2 other locations , in the coast and in the city. This bakery is famous for their donuts and they definitely don’t disappoint. We tried nutella one, who can’t say no to chocolate, and honestly the filling was epic and it felt almost as ful as a nutella jar. The location is very nice, just by the creek so you definitely have the joys of nature enjoying your treat. They also offer different savoury pies and have some options to buy bread.

Chicken club is so so good! I add cream cheese to make it even more delicious. Ordered through UberEats today, just as good as fresh. Definitely a must try in West End. Best bagels I found in Brisbane!

Best bagel place ever! So many choices and extras. The bagels are huge; I was stuffed after just one. Service wasn't bad, but they kept asking if the coffee was mine. They're probably new and still learning the table numbers.

We love this place, they have heaps of variety and very good vegetarian options!! Food is awesome, prices are good, and service is always fast and kind 🧡 The place is super cosy with lots of natural light and beautiful plants :) Would recommend ** Thickshakes are delicious too !!!!

The bagels were absolutely delicious and fresh. The chicken cranberry brie is a must get. They have a great selection of bagels to choose from. They get pretty busy on the weekend but the service was still very speedy.

10/10 Bagels!!! I have never felt rejuvenated after eating a bagel until now. It was like a part of me was missing and has been restored. There’s a large range of bagels to choose from and coffee was amazing too! If you ever have a feel soulful urge to have a bagel this is the place to go.

Bagels are excellent, but staff customer service is pretty poor, and the cafe is rather dirty. It would be a nice spot to sit and study if it was clean, but there were crumbs all over the tables, dirty coffee cups left sitting on multiple tables with flies hanging around them, etc. Staff also ignored me for a bit when I first walked in, and I saw my bagel sit on the kitchen pass for about 10 minutes before it was handed to me.

I feel sick from this meal. I ordered eggs benedict but even the whites were watery and raw. Dangerously undercooked. Sent it back as did not want to risk Salmonella poisoning. There was nothing appealing about this plate of food. The replacement meal was also problematic and made me sick. I had to leave mid-way through. The toast was so rock-hard that I could not get my knife through it. It seemed to be deep-fried in lard (?) Not palatable. I am unsure why it was so hard. In other matters, the blackboard sign is inappropriate and should not be on public display. It reflects poorly on the business. Whilst the company may consider this 'banter' or 'humour', it would be deemed offensive and discriminatory to those with disability. (Refer to Disability Discrimination Act, 1992; etc.) Whilst the business has vehemently denied that raw egg is a health risk, I would invite the business to visit Queensland Health website for more information. Screen shot attached re risk. As a legitimate diner at Sol, I have taken photographic evidence of my unpleasant food experience here and I stand by my review. The food was prepared to an unacceptable standard and made me ill.

Such yummy food and really delicious hot choccies 😍 The cafe is situated in a really lovely quiet spot. The cafe is a little dated, but there’s nothing wrong with that. The only feedback I really have is please update your serving boards, they look a little worse for wear.

Cute little cafe that’s super dog friendly (saw this bowl full of doggie treats and water bowl for dogs). The service is good but a bit of a hit and miss but the coffee is nice. The food wasn’t too bad for Brisbane standard I suppose- I would recommend the keto breakfast. I won’t recommend the French toast.

Needed a sweet treat on a lazy holiday morning. C'est Du Gateau did not disappoint. Too many options to choose from. The whole cabinet looked delicious. They also make hot and iced coffees. The brew is delicious. Considering the quality, the pricing is very reasonable. The staff are so friendly, happy and patient while you try and decide what to order. Highly recommend for any tourists or Brissie locals needing a bakery item.

A gem so close to the city, so lovely to just stop by have the most amazing pasteries, such good coffee. So impressed by Meryl her way of customer service and happiness in doing her job is just next level! The team are great, everything is clean. I suggest trying the breads they are just amazing. Our favourites are the multigrain loaf and the foccacia.

really nice staff, ham and cheese croissant is a 10/10 but the cinnamon roll was a bit dry, pain au chocolat really good, the dubai style croissant could be a bit more « pistachy » because it tastes good but not enough pistachio. overall i do recommend its worth it

Absolutely divine—a little slice of French heaven in Brisbane. The service is warm and friendly, the coffee is smooth, and the pastry selection is incredible. As an Italian pastry lover, I have to say the croissants were absolutely delicious, with perfectly flaky layers inside. The coffee was a bit on the bitter side, but if I lived in Brisbane, this would definitely be my go-to place for breakfast.

Was around the area during Easter & spotted Banette West End. It looked like a nice, quiet cafe & went in. The cakes were super cute & sandwiches looked delicious. Ordered Apple Turnover, Egg Baguette, Strawberry Tart, coffee & tea. Everything was yummy & the pastries were not too sweet… just right. Price was reasonable too. Would go back again

Dropped off family member for work party, and wandered up road for a coffee (which I didn't quite get to). Because I found Banette with Steak Tartare on dinner menu and was happily captured. Wonderful dish with a modern twist on the tartare. Worked a treat with a glass of Malbec. Table bread too good, so not many finely cut chips eaten by me. This left room for a warm Fondant au Chocolat, which balanced the chocolate, fresh raspberries and classical vanilla icecream wonderfully. Best non-coffee outing I've had for a very long time!! Thanks, I will be back and maybe finish with the coffee next time! The service was also wonderful. Photos for my teenager, with whom I had been lamenting the loss of steak tartare about 2 weeks ago. Good enough to share I hope, so posting here.

I have walked past this cute cafe but didn't think to stop by and check. I was introduced to this place on Montague Road. The pastries are freshly baked, and the prices are reasonable (cheaper). The way staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I'm definitely stopping by again or bringing a friend in the future.

You'll find excellent French pastries and bread here, as well as great service, in this slightly tucked away shop. The champagne baguette and the sourdough baguette are both beautifully textured inside, crusty outside, and are so fresh. The croissants are delightfully flakey and buttery with lots of layers. There are plenty of sweet options as well as baguettes made up with salad, ham and cheese, etc. I've not tried the coffee, but there were plenty of people getting it and sitting at the covered outdoor tables.

My friend and I arrived at the cafe at 1:35pm on a recent Wednesday and were told by staff that the lunch rush had finished and they were closing in 20 minutes. Outside tables and chairs had already been roped off/secured and it appeared that the 2 staff were cleaning behind the counter. Despite there being 3 prepared ham and cheese croissants in the display cabinet, I was told they were for 'display' only and instead was directed to a warm food area where there was 1 or 2 quiches and an already toasted ham and cheese croissant. The croissant must have been toasted much earlier in the day as it turned out, on consumption, to be fairly dry and hard in places. I was left with the impression that the appliances had already been cleaned and staff did not want to go to the effort of toasting anything fresher. My friend ordered the one remaining ham and salad roll in the display cabinet (which oddly was not required for 'display' purposes, unlike the croissants) and said it was very disappointing. I tried to order a decaf coffee but was advised they don't have decaf coffee. My friend was told they had 2 shots left and could make her a coffee which they did. I can only assume that any customer arriving after us would have been sadly disappointed on both the coffee and food front. Having been disappointed in the dry ham and cheese croissant, I decided to treat myself to a chocolate eclair (the last one and oddly again not required for 'display' purposes unlike the croissants). The eclair was overly chilled and did not taste fresh. All in all, a very disappointing experience where despite accepting our money, we were made to feel like an inconvenience.

I bought some croissants last Thursday and they were amazing fresh, delicious, and paired perfectly with a good cup of coffee. The staff were amazing! That experience made me want to come back. However, I returned yesterday and was really disappointed. I bought two ham and cheese croissants but was told there was no coffee available that day. On top of that, the croissants were stale, soggy, and cold like they had just been reheated in a microwave. The only reason I didn’t turn around was because I was already running late for work. It’s incredibly disappointing and honestly upsetting to be charged over $16 for something that tasted like it was left over from the day before. If you’re going to sell food that isn’t fresh, at the very least, customers should be informed and given a choice.

This is not cheap but the quality of food is worth it. It is genuinely french and delicious. So many cakes to choose from and my daughter, a macaroon buff says they are the best. The cuppacino has shaved dark chocolate which I have never tried before and I loved it!

Had the Tim tam croissant and the chocolate croissant, and both were delicious. At $12 for some of these, I think it’s a bit steep for any pastry. This isn’t France and France wouldn’t even charge that much. Having said that, it was really delicious, just don’t think anything is worth that price point on principle.

Croissants were good (ham&cheese and hotdog), but service not very good. I ordered the food and the lady didn’t ask if I was having here or take away and started bagging it. I politely asked to have here and she just gave me the bags. Not even heating the croissants. Many tables dirty and nobody comes to clear the plates. Had to seat in a dirty table. Terrible.

One of the best pastries in town! 🥐 The sweetness is spot-on—just the right balance without being too much. I loved it! It's located in the CBD, within the same complex as Anthology Coffee. Service is friendly, and prices are fair for the quality. Note: It’s takeaway only, but if you want to dine in, you can grab a drink or meal from the restaurant/café next door and enjoy your pastry there.

We wanted to sit down and eat have coffee but they lady told us to sit down by cafe anthology. It’s a shame I walk further at the back then there’s table where people just sat for coffee we could of eat more from the menu not just pastry. They have so many table available for us but ya if u don’t order from the menu then ur not allowed to sit and eat next time I will just sit without telling them so long as I spend over 50$ st the place I deserve at table that’s my opinion no question ask u spend money then u should be allowed to eat at the table. Pastry are good but I don’t know about the staff no comment on that I have to come back and find out more

I heard this place is run by Taiwanese owners and focuses on high-end pastries, so I thought I’d come by to show some support. The shop has a bright and clean setup, and you can see the pastry chefs working behind the counter, which is a nice touch. My friend insisted on getting the almond croissant (despite my attempt to stop them—we had just bought one from Lune earlier). I also picked up the chestnut Mont Blanc. Unfortunately, the taste was a bit disappointing. I’ve found that Asian-owned pastry shops often excel in presentation and packaging, but when it comes to flavour, there’s usually something missing. The chestnut Mont Blanc was pleasantly not too sweet, but the almond croissant filling was the kind I dislike most—an old-school, dense custard that lacked complexity and aroma. At this price point, I believe there are better options in Brisbane.

I had plain croissant. It was alright. I actually have a concern about the hygiene as I had to notice the staff to use thong to grab a croissant because she just used her hands with gloves to count coins and touch the screen then grab the pastry for another customer with that same gloves. 🥲

Lovely little place! Took my son here after his soccer game, and we both left happy. The custard slice was creamy without being too heavy, and the sausage roll was surprisingly good (not dry at all!). Staff were cheerful, and the coffee hit the spot. A bit pricey, but you’re paying for quality. Will definitely drop by again.

One of Brisbane’s best-kept bakery secrets - hidden away but well worth finding. I only know about it because I used to work nearby, but once you’ve been, you’ll start planning detours just to get your fix. Their range of sweet and savoury pastries is top-notch, and I highly recommend the mushroom ricotta triangles, strawberry custard scrolls, and the dangerously good caramel Nutella shortbread slice. They also do a solid lineup of baguettes, generously filled and packed into crusty, French-style white rolls. A word of advice: if you want the best selection, get in early. I dropped by around 12:50pm recently, and the cabinet was looking a little bare - proof that good things don’t last. Coffee here is decent, served with a little sample of one of their slices (a clever tactic because, yes, you’ll want to buy a whole one). Prices are on the slightly higher side - expect to pay a couple of dollars more for a croissant than at Woolies, and about $12 for a baguette - but the quality justifies it. This spot might still fly under the radar for some, but judging by how fast things sell out, word is definitely getting around.

I already ate the mushroom quiche sorry it was so delicious! This choc caramel brownie also yummy & we are looking forward to breaking into the old fashioned ‘boiled’ sweets from Nana & Poppa days, happy memories xx

This is a delightful little shop with a great range of pastries, slices, tarts, brownies, croissants, plus many savoury options. The quiches are delicious with crispy pastry and there is a variety of filled baguettes and sandwiches that are very fresh and tasty. I've found the service very friendly and they don't make you feel rushed, which is great because the sensory experience of the shop can mean you need to decide how many delights to try.

The best bakery in Brisbane. The only thing is that they are hiding so its hard for people to visit. But they make amazing pastries... Literally the reason I go to work every morning is to get snacks from here

Disappointed in their hot cross buns. So dry!! For the price being charged for a six pack you would expect more. 😭 One star for them. However their carrot cake and passion fruit cupcakes are the bomb - 😋 Quiche was also disappointing. Crust was dry and overcooked. Filling was ok but for the price have had better at other businesses in Brisbane. ☹️

I went passed this place a few times but this time I need to try their specialties starting with coffee and a sandwich Wow really good! To die for sandwich and coffee. Yum They have biscotti, Anzac cookies, white chocolate rocky road which I must try for next time. They also have ready to soup in a ready to go bag kept in the fridge that I must try.

Great place to get deserts. I especially love the vanilla cakes/cupcakes. Unfortunately they run out quick so sometimes you don’t get anything worthwhile if you show up after mid day. Glad to see that they are open again after the flood damage. Keep up the good work guys!

It is my pity in my life because I just came here until today. The cream cheese flaked carrot cupcake is literally great! It is splendid! This is the best cream cheese flaked in the city! In addition, it is not really sweet. Whatever, it deserves more attentions and attendances.

Spent what I consider a lot on a chocolate bar cake. If you want a real chocolate cake don't buy it here!!!! I specifically said I wanted a chocolate tasting cake not a chocolate coloured cake before I bought it and I paid a lot of money for flavourless brown coloured cake!!!

The customer service really needs to be improved here. I have been served multiple times by a girl (I believe she has an Irish accent) who behaves like it’s an inconvenience to her to do her job and serve customers. They also leave customers waiting after seeing them to do god knows what in the back and the coffee without fail is always burnt. I will say the cupcakes, brownies and some of the cakes are delicious but severely overpriced. You’d hope the customer service would match the high end price tags, but no. So many better options around eagle street as well so I’d up your game Jocelyn’s.

This is my go to place for a 2pm pick-me-up coffee and sweet treat in the city. Everything I have tried there is a delight (and I have worked my way through most of the cake/food cabinet). The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. And the coffee is always perfectly done 👌. Big fan of the fact they offer coconut milk. And their takeaway full cakes look so good. I can't recommend this place enough

Great selection of cakes and their gluten-free ones are much better than others I've tried. I have been using this company for many years and have found all of their products of the highest standard and the staff in the office friendly and helpful.

Placed an order for delivery following day. Didn’t turn up, spoke to man twice on phone firstly told me driver was running late, then told me I would receive delivery the next day by 8am. Didn’t show up the next day either, rang several times, left a message .....no response. Have used this company for years but obviously the new owners don’t know how to run the business and don’t realise without customers there is no business. Very disappointing!
