1Wynnum Wading Pool

Park
Wynnum Wading Pool is a large saltwater pool with a children's slide, restrooms, changing facilities, and BBQ area. It's a family-friendly beach with plenty of sand for everyone to enjoy. The pool has shallow water perfect for little ones to play in. Many families love spending time here swimming and playing on the playground. The area also offers a good toilet block and cafes nearby.
It’s a natural wading pool by the bay – perfect for a fun day out with the kids. Right next to it, there’s a scenic coastal walkway and a playground. The whole area feels open and breezy, great for a stroll, a bike ride, or just chilling with a picnic.
Nicole N — Google review
Fun experience to take the kids. Parking was crazy but found somewhere eventually. Side in the pool was a hit but rather busy. Keeps kids busy for a bit. It’s got a cleaner end on the northern side near the toilets ect. As you get closer to the pool, you can see the algi or whatever build up that it is, as it turns a little black and nice and squishy. But a great time and lunch across the road was good.
James W — Google review
Oh yes, many memories myself of bringing my kids here for a paddle when it was hot, found myself going past on the bike and couldn’t resist the opportunity to have a look once again. I think it’s improved, there’s a good toilet block available and the usual cafés around the place. It’s a lovely area for a walk as it’s so flat or teach the kids to ride a bike, then a swim and a chippy lunch.
Paul S — Google review
Unique place to enjoy model sailboat racing. On Tuesday the local wynnum manly radio mode yacht club is offering lessons from 9am for the Brisbane sailing enthusiasts.
Harold W — Google review
The toilets are the worst I have seen the council should be ashamed maintenance in the babies room is needed and dirty I took my grandson in and straight out. The toilets are no better. The park is great and the pool.
Josephine G — Google review
Free Public pool fed by ocean tide. Lots of change rooms. A safe place to take the younger ones. Plenty of seating for parents grand parents. Bbq,s available. Small beach nearby and playground. Walking paths for those who can't sit still.
Colin K — Google review
I can only give this one star . All due to the complete lack of thought and poor planning that has gone on with the changing facilities and the toilets . WHY ON EARTH do you have the only toilet that is accessible by someone with a disability also being the one place to change a baby and to have a shower ??? I’ve just waited 30 mins for a family to get the hell out of there . Clearly a very short sighted cost cutting exercise put in place at the expense of people living with a disability . Not to mention the level of absolute filth
Sarah — Google review
Wynum will always be the best 👌 You have a cleaner come on site to maintain and clean the showers and toilets, the pool on one side and playground and water park on the other.

Spring Hill Baths is a charming escape from the summer heat in Brisbane. It holds the title of being the oldest public pool in the southern hemisphere, dating back to 1886. The pool area exudes whimsical joy with its brightly colored wooden doors and Victorian symmetry, resembling a scene from a Wes Anderson movie. The place is not just about its historical significance; it's also known for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Brisbane's best kept secret! Never crowded, great atmosphere, welcoming staff. $2 dips! Perfect for the 50+ crowd! On-street paid parking is the only drawback.
Peita M — Google review
What an amazing place! Popped in for a quick visit this morning. I had outstanding service from Edwina, who obviously loves what she does. She even gave me a tour 😍 Highly recommend! The carpark across the road does early bird parking for $12 so you can start your day with a refreshing swim and hot shower and then spend the day exploring the City. Top tip: read my car park review and don't arrive before 0610 (a good margin for error).
T4ms — Google review
Absolutely lovely. They play classical music over the speakers as you swim. It's not a large pool, but not well known either, so often not busy
Nick M — Google review
My regular place to swim. I love that it’s heritage listed. The people who swim here range from babies to ppl in their 80’s. Lots of ppl over 50. You don’t need the body beautiful. Just be yourself. Most of the regulars are friendly and say hi to anyone. When Tim worked here he started playing ABC classic radio. At first I wasn’t sure.. now it’s the only music to swim to there. It’s also had the impact of me seeing orchestra at QPAC. It’s delightful swimming to classical music. The staff seem to change regularly. Some are more friendly than others. Some seem to work harder than others too. They do learn to swim lessons. Updated: august 2022 Recent renovations to pool. Felt so happy to be back.
J B — Google review
Brilliant atmospheric, heritage Victorian baths with 25m swimming pool. The street front looks more like a small house front than a pool entrance. The 25m (I’m willing to bet it was 25yard originally) Pool itself is surrounded by Victorian change cubicles (think the heritage pool where Moriarty confronts Sherlock and Dr Watson in the Great Game episode) The old concrete pool has a viewing gallery, character heritage no spitting signs and is Semi open to the elements as befits a semi tropical climate. The only downside is the steps/recessed concrete ladder to get into the pool are difficult or impossible is you aren’t fully able. There is no ramp or easy steps.
Paul ( — Google review
As if the pool itself wasn't good enough on it's own, being Brisbane's oldest pool that is heritage listed and beautifuly maintained, the staff here are spectacular. I've been members of sporting clubs and gyms for years but have never experienced a group of staff like the ones that work here. 5 out of 5 stars doesn't do this place justice. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and it creates a sense of community amongst the regular swimmers.
Ryan S — Google review
Great heated pool an easy walk from the centre of Brisbane. It was built in the time of imperial so it is about a meter short if the 25m standard pool. As a result there's a really friendly feel to the patrons who aren't exercise junkies. Really love a swim there. 👍
Simon F — Google review
I love this pool so much! It has a continuous stream of swim lessons throughout the day but they only take up one section of the pool! The pool temperature is perfect, the old style changerooms are SO cute and the staff are such a good vibe. I've been recommending this pool to everyone I know

Settlement Cove Lagoon, situated in Redcliffe, is a popular spot for those seeking a quick getaway to the water without having to embark on a long road trip. This public pool overlooks Moreton Bay and offers both sandy shores and wading and swimming areas. Open 24/7, 365 days a year with lifeguards on duty during specific hours, it features picnic areas, BBQ facilities, playgrounds, showers, and even its own island.
Free fun family lagoon. Picnic tables and bbqs. Even lifeguards when on duty. Also fish n chips and ice creams. Beautiful views. So much to explore within just meters in each direction 😊
Jali — Google review
Settlement Cive Lagoon is ideally located at Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe QLD 4020. This unique lagoon is a very popular family-friendly place where the earlier you arrive, the better it is due to its popularity. Settlement Cove Lagoon has swimming 🏊‍♂️ & wading pools & also a fenced off water playground area for the younger children to enjoy 😉 There are adequate shade areas on the seafront area of the lagoon. This community swimming lagoon is opened to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with dedicated lifeguards onsite during the day. There is also no diving into the lagoon or running allowed in & around the lagoon area. There is also onsite security surveillance & security guards onsite on a 24/7 basis 😳 There are on-site services available, with BBQ facilities onsite along with wheelchair access available ♿️ Designated car parking, with disabled parking, is also available near Settlement Cove Lagoon, making it very convenient for people with disabilities. Steet parking along with the various cafes, hotels & restaurants are also available, again within walking distance from this public swimming lagoon. There are public toilets 🚻 & showers 🚿 available at the lagoon, but at times, due to its popularity, hygiene issues can arise, particularly with the toilets 🚻 Due to the popularity of Settlement Cove Lagoon, my advice would be to take your own chairs & picnic tables & umbrellas for shade as required. Please note: There are no dogs allowed onsite 😢 Achohol & smoking restrictions also apply!
John O — Google review
Very relaxed atmosphere, very nice and helpful lifeguards. Plenty of room for alot of people. Took 1 star off because the canteen wasn't opened for the day.

Month of visit: May 2024 Such a beautiful place to spend time with your children! the pool is big; it has a small pool for kiddos with a mushroom shower to play. It is located near the beach as well. Would love to come back here and try the pool!
Windy R — Google review
Love this place! Such a luxury at no cost. Well maintained. Tables, chairs and BBQs available but also plenty of ground space to sit around the lagoon.
Donna P — Google review
Amazing nice lagoon. Much better than the southbank fake beach lagoon and is CLEAN!!!! Would recommend going there. No entry fee and no time limit as well! 🏝🏖🌊🌈
Valera E — Google review
Gets very busy during the summer months, and is a beautiful place for a swim with sea views across the path. The lagoon has a few features for all age groups, including a wading pool for toddlers and several fountains. Toilet facilities are nearby, alongside a playground, BBQ area, wheelchair access and plenty of benches and seating. Definitely worth getting here early as it gets busy during peak seasons and hours.

Newmarket Olympic Pool is a fantastic recreation center in Brisbane, offering heated outdoor pools with shaded areas and a kids' pool featuring slides. Families love the variety of activities available for children, including multiple kid pools, exciting slides, fountains, and ample space to play safely. The facility also boasts an Olympic pool that older kids enjoy along with snacks and a great little playground.
$2 summer dips 🏊‍♀️ 👙🩳 Newmarket pool offers a lot to individuals or groups. x4 water slides, water play area with water bucket, kids pool with small slides, heated undercover pool 1m deep throughout, toddler pool and main 50m Olympic pool for swimming or laps 🏊‍♀️. A busy pool through summer with lots of undercover tables. They fill up fast, additional shaded areas under tress available. I noticed tables start becoming available into the lunch time period. Bring a picnic blanket and small chairs if you have them for a comfy experience. Water pleasantly clean in most of the pools, change facilities not the tidiest but still workable. Would return to use all the areas again through summer.
Tony — Google review
Pluses: -Large open air space -Small water park inside - Waiting time on slide varies from 2 minutes to 15 minutes Minuses: - Small heated 1m pool. The pool doesn't have a continuous filtration system. So, expect leaves and wooden twigs more than in other places
Alexander M — Google review
28.12.2024 hottest day of the year! Summer season has been awesome, with $2 entry into all council pools. Our family comes here at least twice a year to either book a kids' party or family outing.. We love it!! Multiple different pools to keep the family entertained for hours! 2 kids pools with slides & water features, water sprinkler area with big bucket thats fills up & tips out everyone loved that, 1 indoor pool, 1 big outdoor pool which is 1/4 shaded & had the blow up rocket where kids under 15s try run to the end or slip off into the pool (see a the end of it in background of photo), 1 big slide (pay an extra $2 I think), outdoor playground, a few tables & chairs dotted around. We bought our own gazebos because we knew it'll be full in the shaded areas. Lovely helpful staff. Clean bathrooms. Canteen to buy food & drinks. We'd definitely recommend it.
Tima L — Google review
I had my daughter's birthday party at Newmarket Pool and she absolutely love it. There were so many different areas for the kids to enjoy and explore, such as the slides, inflatable rocket and the playground. The staff were lovely and very accommodating to all our request. A great pool to visit!
Marie A — Google review
Summer times are good, very limited off season times and not even open Sundays. Lap swimmers lucky to get one lane to use, squads take over the pool. Toilets often not clean.
Wendy C — Google review
No way of knowing what times the squads are running or how many lanes they'll be using until you've paid. One day there was only one lane for lap swimming! Other pools have it available online or upon entry. Charge full price for spectators and said this was the same as all council pools which is not true. Pool was quite dirty. No kick boards or pool buoys available for the public to borrow like some other pools have.
Nichola M — Google review
Went yesterday and it was wonderful. It was my babies first time in a pool, lovely heated pool was perfect for it. My car died in the carpark too and one of the lovely maintenance men helped me jump start it. He was a life saver!

It offers a picturesque lagoon with palm-fringed sandy shores and clear blue waters, providing an amazing view of the city and the river. This popular tourist spot is also frequented by locals who enjoy its convenient location and easy access via public transport.
Such a great spot in th middle of Brisbane South bank. Swim around and admire the landscapes and skyscrapers, shallow, and deep pools available,as well as water play for the kids. Plenty of food options around and a life guard on duty everyday from 7-7 highly recommend!
Sheridan P — Google review
Streets Beach at South Bank is one of Brisbane’s most iconic spots and a fantastic place to relax right in the heart of the city. What makes it so unique is the combination of a sparkling man-made lagoon with sandy beaches, surrounded by lush greenery and views of the Brisbane River and skyline. It truly feels like an urban oasis. The beach itself is beautifully maintained, with lifeguards on duty, making it safe for families with children. The shallow areas are perfect for kids to splash around, while adults can enjoy a refreshing swim or simply lounge on the sand. At night, the area lights up and feels just as magical. Another highlight is the location—being at South Bank means you’re only steps away from great restaurants, cafés, shops, and cultural attractions like QPAC and GOMA. Whether you want to grab an ice cream, have a picnic, or enjoy a riverside stroll, everything is close by. Clean amenities, plenty of shaded seating, and easy access by public transport make it even more convenient. Streets Beach is not just for tourists but a place locals love too. It’s the perfect blend of relaxation and city life.

Street Beach is truly a magical spot. Imported sand from the Gold Coast creates a sunny beach vibe right in the heart of the city, offering busy urban dwellers a chance to relax, soak up the sun, and splash in the water. It’s hard not to admire the Brisbane lifestyle — blending city energy with a carefree, beachy spirit!

Fantastic free beach/pool that is well monitored by lifeguards during the day. Well sign-posted for pool depth and is nice and clean. There are relatively cheap lockers and free changing rooms here.
Ashleigh — Google review
It’s a MUST do when visiting the city whether you’re a family with kids, rolling solo or a loved up couple. The man made beach is outstanding and a great place to chill and relax. Our kids loved spending the day here. Plenty of places to eat near by ranging from uber expensive to good old Maccas.

The Valley Pool, located in the heart of Fortitude Valley in Brisbane, is a renowned 50-meter outdoor pool that has been frequented by Olympic medallists and international swimmers for training. The iconic red brick building, designed by city architect AH Foster and built in 1925, offers more than just swimming competitions and school events. It features swimming lessons, water polo games, and an adjacent gym for fitness enthusiasts. The venue also includes a small coffee shop and a swim shop.
Wonderful 50m swimming pool in the middle of Fortitude Valley in Brisbane. One of Australia's most famous pools, that over the years has seen many Olympic medallists and international swimmers use it as their training base. Recently, the Scottish Swimming team used this venue to prepare for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Venue is clean and has good surrounding space for sitting or sunbathing. Small coffee shop on site as well as a swim shop and fitness gym. Easily accessible on foot but probably difficult to find good nearby car parking space.

I’m here in Brisbane Women’s Hospital giving support to my daughter. I have been to the Valley Pool every day for the last 10 days. The pool and surrounds are clean ,well maintained and not overcrowded. There are undercover sun lounges , shop and other facilities that I did not use. The staff are nice and happy. I would recommend this place .Great work from management. Kevin

I love this pool. As a lover of outdoor swimming all year around the Valley Pool is my favourite Brisbane pool when I'm visiting. It's clean, has choices of 25 and 50m lanes, the swimmers have great lane etiquette and the after swim coffee is excellent. The staff are also always very friendly.
Luke H — Google review
It's the perfect outdoor pool for lap swimming. The vibe's always friendly, with a mix of serious swimmers and kids doing lessons. Clean, well-run, and a great spot to swim rain or shine.

Very good pool, 50 metres, sometimes divided into 2 x 25 metres. Changerooms have changing cubicles, shower cubicles, benches, electrical outlets at the mirror. Lounge chairs available under shade; other chairs in the sun. Coffee available, shop selling swimming gear.

Not a bad pond, in fact, a great pond or a delightful oasis in the middle of Fortitude Valley. Extra wide lanes (Olympic size) and with salt in the water, swims really nice 👌

Ithaca Swimming Pool is a serene outdoor pool located in Brisbane, nestled among the leafy expanses of Paddington and across from Suncorp Stadium. It offers a convenient location with cafes, bars, and restaurants just a short stroll away. The pool caters to various swimmers, from casual to competitive, and also provides options for aqua-aerobic fitness and family gatherings. Visitors can enjoy the sparkling clean heated pool and spacious dressing rooms with showers and toilets.
A wonderful place to swim. This pool has a special place in my heart. Great atmosphere, family friendly, it’s a joy to visit. Swimming laps under an open sky surrounded by big beautiful trees and tropical plants feels like a dream. The pool is mostly salt water, with the minimum chlorine required. I can tell a lot of care goes into adjusting the levels and it’s really appreciated. The water feels lovely and soft on my hair and skin, and I don’t get dry and itchy like in other highly chlorinated pools.

Located across Suncorp Stadium, next to the tennis courts and skate park, Ithaca is a public swimming pool for all: the casual swimmer, the teens looking for a splash, master and competitive swimmer, aquaaerobic fitness, tanning enthusiast, family gatherings, toddlers water initiation and more. You can pay just per visit ($6 and change), or buy a 10 or 20 visits card and save some bucks. Huge dressing rooms with showers and toilets (male and female). They got a nice resting area where you can sit and relax with a warm cup from the coffee shop. Overall, a lovely place to spend your time in.

Super friendly staff, sparkling clean heated pool, not too busy. I went mid week around 3pm during school holidays and it thankfully wasn’t crowded. The facilities are nice with plenty of shaded grass areas as well as tables and chairs for those not swimming. Just outside there is also a skate park, public park, and a playground with a picnic/ electric bbq area. The only downside to the pool was there is no lockers in the women’s changing rooms. Over all I’m very impressed as it’s a lovely pool, I will certainly be back!

The pool area stays clean and the water feels well-kept. Lanve availability works well for both casual swimmers and those doing laps

Great pool for all ages, with lots of shade and seating areas. Ramp access provided to the pool, and clean toilets, showering and changing facilities. Would definitely recommend!

Cash only on entry, which is annoying. Also frustrating is that they consider a family to only have one parent, and add $5 for the additional parent, despite adult entry being $4.50. Aside from that, it's a cosy spot to cool down on hot days with the kids. Heated salt water pool, with a shallow plunge pool perfect for little swimmers, and learners alike.

Located on the outskirts of Tingalpa Reserve, The Plantation is a sprawling outdoor recreational center that seems to transport visitors to another world. Brisbane Aquatic Centre offers an array of amenities including six beach volleyball courts, indoor heated and 25m pools for adults, picnic facilities, and ample grassy areas. Children can enjoy a toddler wading pool and a shallow pool with rock formations, slides, and aquativity squirters.
It's definitely a good place for swimming. Professional facility and pools. I love the indoor 25-meter Olympic pool (2-meter deep)! Plus the surrounding area is nice and good for doing sports. There are also some young students being trained on swimming and diving here. Awesome place!

Hot. If you're swimming in the summer it's a comfy, easy breezy place to do your training and I'd recommend it. For viewers... 100% humidity and 29 degrees consistently. They have tried to do their best with industrial fans but the effort doesn't mean results. Cafe, foyer and facilities that support the pool 100%. 4 stars for swimmers. 3 stars for viewers.
Chris V — Google review
We come here a few times a year and it's a great wee pool. The reason it gets 4 stars and not 5 is the entire toddler area and little pool attached to it are not heated. Who decided that was a good idea? Im sure not putting my toddler in freezing cold water. Saw a few older kids try going in and immediately leave because it's too cold even for them. A gigantic waste of the space. Hope that you guys can see sense and start heating it, because I've never seen anyone actually use it beyond stepping in and out.

Good enough for a casual swim with friends. It’s definitely not the best aquatic centre in the area, but it’s convenient. The pool was clean, and the staff were friendly. You may want to bring your own snacks if you plan to stay for a while since the food options are limited. A decent place if you’re just looking to have a swim.

"hi, i just came down from kawana's 3.7m deep pool yesterday in the sunshine coast, can i swim in ur deep pool, i dont want to use the high diving board, just that im capable of swimming 17m down and holding my breath for 1 minute and can scuba dive" - me "no, its not open to the public, there are rules about holding ur breath and we would need to have a spotter or life guard walk past, no, you cant swim". one of the two old ladies at reception who was having a nice yarn to each other. "that's ok, i rang ahead to gold coast aquatic center and they said i can swim in their 5 meter deep pool.". -me ready to leave and drive 80mins to hold coast. "then have a nice drive, its really long." - said with narky attitude that i should now suffer for not giving brisbane aquatic center entry money funny how they have rules and look confused when i say i can swim in gold coasts 5meter deep pool. public funded privitisation at it's spitiest.

I had a very concerning experience at the swim school with instructor Charlotte. During my 4-year-old's lesson, Charlotte was clearly distracted and not paying attention to the kids. My child slipped off the platform and she didn’t notice until I shouted around three seconds later. Drowning for kids can happen sliently in just seconds, and it's terrifying to think what might have happened if I hadn’t been watching as well. This lack of attention is unacceptable for a swimming instructor. But other instructors like Stephenie, Sami , whom my child previously had are great.

Just be aware the 25m heated pool has been out of order at least twice a week during any cooler weather and they don't announce it on their advertised pool times. Been going on since June so it seems like it's a permanent issue now

The Centenary Aquatic Centre & Health Club is a vibrant destination near the CBD that offers an array of aquatic and fitness amenities. The facility boasts a 50-meter pool with a diving platform, making it an ideal spot for those seeking some thrilling water activities. Additionally, visitors can relax at the pool deck cafe or participate in swim lessons tailored to various ages and skill levels.
The pool is great, though deep to 2.1m, so may not suit everyone, especially if you are here to do water exercises. It can get pretty busy at times and lanes can get a bit hectic, but off-peak its usually very quiet. There is plenty of parking, including blue badge spwace a for disabled people, and there is alsonfilk access to the facility for disabled people.

In the starter swimming class, children are assigned a different trainer each week. This may seem harmless, but it can actually hold them back. At this age, building trust and forming a bond with a consistent trainer is incredibly important. Constantly switching trainers makes it harder for the children to feel secure and focus on improving their skills.
Shiva P — Google review
I love Centenary Pool, the only pool in Brisbane where you can use the diving boards in supervised sessions either side of lunch hour, and the lap pool and baby pool any time. This pool is popular, so familiarise yourself with the opening and squad times. It's easier to do your laps outside of the busy before-work and after-school times, if your time is flexible. There is basic food available, but it's more than you'll get at most council pools, there is also a swimsuit shop. As a writer, I have used Centenary Pool as a set in 'Blocked Out', as Elise Forsyth's hangout. Her character and her friends who hang out there also appear in the latter two 'Mirella Castle Investigates' books. Pictured is an ink and crayon sketch of Centenary Pool.

Great free kids swimming lessons for up to 6 months old. Reception staff could be a bit more attentive to customers as they seem very young or unsure on how to answer questions when they do finally come to the desk. However we have only been a few times so might be our bad luck so far. Still not enough to put us off this facility as it is well above other pools in the area

i was looking for deep pools to swim in and centenary pool has a 5m deep pool. i asked to swim in it and they said no. they dont put a life guard on and that i have to be with some group and recommended i go to a training pool down the street. i said im fine to swim down 17meters and hold my breath 1 minute and they just said no. they said i can hire it for $1000. i asked how i can swim in it or what is booked this week for it, they said nothing is and it's closed to the general public. so basically they have a 5 meter deep pool and a life guard cant walk past it with me swimming in it. i get blocking off the high dive board for height but blocking the pool for use seems stupid. go to kawawa's 3.7meter pool. you can actually swim in it. gold coast aquatic center deep pool has the same issue, closed to general public due to high dive fall accidents (management decision). i should have called ahead, wasted 90mins driving here from sunshine coast to be told i cant swim and hold my breath. you are told a stupid generic response "safety". funny thing is i have a masters in safety, their reliance on a code of practise being the reason u cant swim is a bullshit excuse and not legislation. they also told me "its on the surf life saving website", confirmation its a recommendation, not a legislation (usually enforced due to poor operational practise). anyways, after finding out gold coast aquatic center has a closed deep pool, i thought ide cut my losses and go for a swim here in their lap pool but when trying to pay entry, was threatened if i hold my breath and swim, they will watch me and kick me out. i then made the joke of "but people have to hold their breath when swimming, be it 25meters or 1 cm... to which i pointed to a guy saying "look hes holding his breath", to then jokingly say, oh, hes using a snorkel, i suppose hes fine then. not coming back until they open the deep pool for casual swimming by competant adults. i hope kawawa aquatic center host the qld olympics. they're the attitude that should be shown to the world. not this made up rules to block poor operational practise incorporating safety. this aquatic center doesnt realise it has one of three deep pools between sunshine coast and gold coast. i travelled 90mins (plus 10hrs north to get up here from sydney). im like, so whats open, that 50m pool for laps and that kids ankle deep pool. shes like "yep". meanwhile the deep pool is full and unused. on my way out, the manager said "thank you logan", showing he has seen this review cos he knew my name when i hadnt given it to the staff. because after being told the deep pool was closed, i left, to only come back 15mins later to give the lap pool a go but be threatened they will kick me out if i hold my breath for more than 1cm, "im not going to argue about the specifics, you just cant hold ur breath and if we see you, we will kick you out". -goingelsewhere (fyi kawawa 3.7m pool ftw, better friendly community vibe staff up there), not this "screw u, we take ur money but u get no service corporate management no responsibility approach". fyi, as i waited to be served entry, person was cancelling their membership over the phone. fun fact.

I am extremely pleased with the entire team at Yeronga Pool, operated by Brisbane City Council. They were highly accommodating when requested to provide specialized lessons for children with additional needs. Julie, an exceptional coach and instructor, successfully enhanced the swimming technique of all three kids in less than three weeks. I will definitely return to this hidden gem of a swimming pool and recommend it to anyone seeking swimming lessons for their children.
Went for a lap sess in the 25 heated pool today. First time in the pool in Annerley and very impressed with the set up. Great place for families, fun and fitness. Good parking , a cafe and good looking coffee shop and dedicated swim shop. Nice staff too!! Very lucky to have a great council facility close by.

6/10 Some staff are fantastic—always helpful and friendly. However, I have experienced moments where I felt belittled by a staff member, and my daughter was pressured into purchasing a pair of swimming fins that were too tight. Additionally, the prices on the tags were misleading, as the actual cost had increased without updating the labels. (Isn't this against the law?) The facilities are adequate, though the toilets could be cleaned more regularly. The entrance often has a funky smell—like a mix of urine and plastic foam—which is quite off-putting. On a positive note, the little cafe serves amazing hot chips, always cooked to perfection. Kudos to the cafe team! The kids always look forward to the chips after their swimming lesson! As for the swim coaches, it’s a mixed experience. Some are genuinely caring and clearly invested in the children’s progress, but unfortunately, not all of them share this approach. Perhaps more professional development or training in communication and child engagement would help—being a great swimmer doesn't always mean you’re a great coach. All in all, after many years of coming here, I’ve had mostly positive experiences. That said, there is definitely room for improvement.

Have used Brisbane City Council Pool in Yeronga. It’s a pool that is clean and well managed. The amenities are clean and well looked after. The parking is great, so many spaces. And there’s more on School Road if required. Staff I have found are helpful and polite. The kiosk stocks quite a few products if you need to eat. Overall happy to recommend for a positive rating.

A decent pool for a quick swim on the way home. Water was clear, and the lanes were marked well. Didn’t have to wait to jump in, which was good. The showers felt a bit dated and could do with some upgrades. Plus, the café closed a bit early, which was a bit annoying since we were hoping for a post-swim snack. Still, a nice place to splash about and relax without too much hassle. Definitely convenient for Yeronga locals.

My three year old was having a difficult time - all of a sudden was really refusing to get in the pool at his lessons he otherwise usually enjoyed. The care and persistence shown by the staff was truly beautiful to watch as they coaxed him into the pool. I thought we would just sit and watch the lesson but they didn't give up. The manager (or owner?) Even came over and played with him to try and get him comfortable. And it worked! He was diving for toys and enjoying himself one on one with a teacher. I was honestly so moved by how much patience they showed him. Thank you!

Fantastic facilities for the whole family. The pools are heated, and there is a play park for the kids, a shop to get gear, a shop for snacks and coffee. Indoor pool for the little ones and there is oodles and oodles and oodles of shade. Timing clocks help you keep pace during your training. Floodlights ensure visibility after sunset. It is hard to believe that this is a municipal pool 😊

If you're thinking about going to this pool... phone ahead to see what's open. I turned up at 2.30pm today with my kids, and was told that out of their 3 pools, only one lane in the lap pool was available for public swimming. I was told that the hydrotherapy pool could be used by my younger child because he is under 5, but we couldn't go in there as a family because I had my older child with me. If it were busy, I would understand, but we had clearly arrived at a quiet time, and the hydrotherapy pool appeared to be empty. I was told that the large leisure pool closes between 1.30pm and 3.30pm daily. This isn't the first time I've visited and found that most of the facility is closed for public swimming. I want to like it here, but they make it hard.

Very Disappointed – Would Not Recommend I enrolled my three children in the swimming lessons here and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The management was unfriendly and unapproachable from the start, showing little interest in helping or addressing any concerns. There was a clear lack of passion in the teaching – the instructors seemed disengaged and inattentive, offering minimal encouragement or guidance. It felt more like a business going through the motions than a place genuinely focused on helping kids learn and grow. Definitely not worth the time or money.

All of the remaining gym machines are dated and in dire need of repair. Only 3 of the 7 treadmills work. Water filter been out of order and covered with a garbage bag for 4 months. Mould around all of the air-conditioning vents. Staff have a “it’s not my job” mentality. Enquiries go unanswered/ignored. This gym needs a serious shake up and new manager. Update: membership price has increased. Workout spaces have reduced to make room for yoga. Don’t go here for a gym…three other gyms in close proximity that are cheaper, bigger, maintained, and clean.

Every time I visit, it has mostly been pleasant. There are plenty of pools where you never feel that people too much in your space all the time. The only thing that is stopping me from rating 5 stars is the cleanliness and working state of the bathrooms. They could do with some regular cleaning and more importantly maintenance especially during summer when its $2 entry. Love that every summer they do the $2 entry. Parking isn't great when busy though I've been fortunate to still get park with the same 500m of it.

Friendly and assistive staff. A couple of small waterslides in the kids pool. Outside Olympic pool is good, but could be improved with a pool chair ramp. Inside heated pool available, with pool chair ramp. Large grassed area outside for children to run around. Picnic tables on site. The Aquatic Centre is attached to Cafe at the rear. The disabled bathrooms could benefit from a significant upgrade; ceiling hoists, change tables etc. Set next to the ocean, with surrounding parks and beachside walkways

You mustn’t be disabled here… the shower has no pressure at all… At this price, it could be fixed… But maybe disabled people aren’t important enough to be able to shower with dignity? It’s been like this for two months already.

Dear Management Team, I am writing to express my concern following a recent visit to Sandgate Swimming Pool with my family. While we were there, we were surprised and delighted to see a family of ducks — a mother and her ducklings — swimming in the pool. It was an unexpected and charming sight, and naturally, many people, including my five-year-old son, were curious and stopped to watch. However, what should have been a lighthearted and educational moment for the children quickly turned unpleasant when one of the lifeguards suddenly yelled at my son, telling him to go away. This was not only unnecessary, but also quite distressing for a young child. He was not approaching or touching the ducks — merely observing from the side, as were many others. If the ducks are protected or if there are specific safety or environmental concerns regarding interaction, this should be clearly communicated with appropriate signage or a calm explanation — not with raised voices directed at young children. We fully support the care and safety of local wildlife, but also believe that respectful and age-appropriate communication is essential in a family-oriented environment such as yours. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and ensure that all staff are trained to handle such situations with more understanding and professionalism in the future.
Stephanie P — Google review
This relatively new and fantastic pool is a frequent destination for my kids and me. It offers a fun-filled day of swimming. Plus, the on-site cafe serves top-notch quality, allowing us to enjoy delicious coffee. Just a heads up, though, the parking can be a bit challenging on weekends due to the crowds.

Pools: no catering for anyone with a physical impairment. Highly disappointing. Life Guards: seem to watch their step counts than watch safety. At other Rackley pools life guards stop kids pushing each other in the pool and bomb diving especially in the shallow parts of the pool. Families: there is a kids pool and a water slide. Lots and lots of kids screaming and yelling. So if your kid screams, don’t worry- it’s not unusual. Mullets: ive never seen so many mullets in my life. Cleanliness: there was a storm yesterday late arvo/early evening. But the pool was filthy. Parking: lots available. Bring sunscreen and cold drinks. Whilst there are undercover areas, there’s lots of sun. Brisbane City Council $2 pool admission in summer is highly commendable. Lots of families. Bathrooms: Horrid! In need of major renovations and putrid! I wish i had water shoes to wear. Showerhead had green build up that limited water coming out. Worst bathrooms in brisbane pool centres. Overall: im never coming back

Great swimming hole especially at non peak times. Requires a bit of a drive to get there as only 1 access but well worth the visit. Sadly some people who go there take their rubbish in but arent willing to take it out such as a trampoline used to jump into a swim hole. It is also worth taking a walk on the paths there. One direction takes you to kumbartcho sanctuary while the other direction after a short but pretty walk takes you to a residential rd. Great grassed area with tables for picnicking and bbq just off to the side. Small carpark area available and toilets a short walk up entry road. Beautiful spot parking can be limited. Lots of area for picnics or to play great swimming area for all ages. Pets are here so make sure your animals are ok with kids and other dogs. Swing role that will bust you if you don't hold on and let go correctly.

Suttons Beach is a popular destination for beach activities, offering gentle waves and expansive sandy shores. It's the closest beach to Brisbane CBD and features palm trees providing shade at the north end. The beach is ideal for picnics and leisurely afternoons with stunning views of Moreton Bay. Families with young children will appreciate that it's Redcliffe's only patrolled beach, ensuring safety for all.
Serene, beautiful and calm. If you are after tides, it may fall short. But, if you love quite beach for a quick dip, highly recommended.

Good spot for picnic, bbq or swim. Toilet blocks and a fenced playground. Lots of parking and shaded seating also.
Erin B — Google review
Today we had a wonderful time at *Suttons Beach in Redcliffe*! The beach is clean, peaceful, and family-friendly. The calm water is perfect for a relaxing swim or just soaking your feet. There’s plenty of open space for a picnic, and the grassy areas under the shade of big trees are perfect for relaxing. The walking path along the beach is great for a stroll with beautiful ocean views, and there are BBQ facilities and benches all around. Parking was easy to find, and public toilets were clean and nearby. There are also some great cafés just across the road for coffee or snacks. What makes this beach special is its calmness — not overly crowded, and the whole environment feels safe and welcoming. Whether you're coming with kids, friends, or just alone for a quiet break, Suttons Beach is a lovely spot to unwind. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway close to Brisbane! 🌊☀️🧺
Kabir H — Google review
Located a short drive from Brisbane, however, it falls short compared to other beaches in the Sunshine or Gold Coast areas. The overall atmosphere and beach quality here are somewhat lacking, making it hard to recommend this spot.
Danial T — Google review
Always clean. Need more very bright and large signs saying dogs not allowed on the beach. Add the fine dollar figure also. Have seen people think they can take their dogs anywhere.
Donna G — Google review
I reckon this is the best beach on the peninsula. It’s usually patrolled as well, which is really important for safe swimming.
Angelika H — Google review
It's a nice walk, as you can walk the boardwalk or on the sand ... But it wouldn't be a nice place to have a swim or play in the sand. The sand is gritty. Everything is well kept. It makes for some wonderful images, and the ocean view is beautiful.
Lochran D — Google review
Excellent beach in Redcliffe with walkways and cycle lanes perfect for running, walks, swimming or cycling. There are barbeque areas and cafes along the beachfront. Back off the beach there are public toilets and a road parallel with restaurants and shops as well. Whole area is kept very clean.

Public swimming pool
The UQ Sport Aquatic Centre, also known as the Spring Hill Baths, holds the distinction of being Brisbane's first in-ground pool and the oldest surviving pool in the Southern Hemisphere. This heritage-listed facility exudes nostalgia with its classic Victorian-era change rooms and grandstand seating. Despite its slightly unconventional length of 23.43 meters, there are various activities to enjoy here, including aqua aerobics classes and leisurely laps.
The pool is quite large, so we spent a great evening there.
魔灵幻灭 — Google review
Management failure. Maintenance and cleanliness is terrible (yellow slime growing in 50m pool, loose soil -at least I hope that's what it is- in 25m pool, pools/half pools closed for long periods, changerooms shabby and smelly). In peak periods, 5-6pm, there are 4 lanes out of 18 available for public swimming, and these are crammed with swimmers of all speeds and abilities and understandings of lap swimming. The rest of the lanes are taken up by lessons/squads, usually 2 swimmers per lane, and recreational pool users (little kids playing around but taking up a whole lane). Life guards do nothing to handle it, probably because the "management" of the pool clearly has decided and communicated to them that it's future lies in squads/lessons -people who won't care about the maintenance and hygiene issues.
Steph A — Google review
Great pool but too hot for me, even at 7am. There's a crazy number of squads and professional swimmers training on Saturday morning...not somewhere for a casual swim. Coffee is decent and friendly service.
Donna M — Google review
Great staff. Very helpful and friendly. Facilities good and clean. The swimming pools are perfect for different options: training, just swimming or for kids. There are clean toilets and showers. Plenty of space to pack your stuff safely. There is a coffee shop where you can get food as well. You can bring your bike and there is parking next to the facilities. They have classes for kids too. The instructors are so good and friendly. They always try to help kids when they don’t feel good swimming.

Always a great place to get some laps in... 50m pool has been refurbished and is great... Heaters ensure all year swimming is possible. Coaches are fantastic and the staff are very friendly.

If you are thinking about sending your kids to a swimming class here, think twice. They changed their tutors quite a lot and did not track the progress quite well. If you still want to join, make sure that you put the pressure on the tutors everyday so they can follow up your kids.

Lawnton Aquatic Centre is a great place for families with toddlers, featuring an old-school mushroom pool with water jets and mini slides that kids love. The 50m pool provides different lanes and levels for swimmers, set in a beautiful park with large trees and a playground with BBQ facilities. The changing rooms are simple but clean, while the staff is friendly and the prices are affordable.
My daughter started swimming lessons there just about a month ago and has already moved up a class. The teachers are incredible, happy and patient with all the students. The staff as a whole are happy and friendly and approachable. Would recommend to anyone.

We love our local swimming pool! The facilities are always well-maintained and clean, and the staff are passionate, friendly, and genuinely care about their work. My 2-year-old son has been attending swimming lessons here since he was just 5 months old, and it’s been a fantastic experience from the beginning. A special shout-out to his amazing teacher, Ms Susan — she’s been a huge part of his swimming journey! He also absolutely loves the kids’ play area and pool. It’s a wonderful, welcoming place for families.

This was an awesome aquatic centre. The temp of the outdoor pool for laps was perfect, heated just right and the facilities were clean and the shower had hot and cold water - main reason for stopping was actually to use the shower, the swim was an added bonus
Belinda — Google review
Whilst this is a business, it is still a public pool. They completely book out their very small hot pool and leave no area for small children to use in the winter months and advise clients to come back with their small children at 6pm. This is ridiculous. Centre management should not allow full booking of the hot pool and closure to general public. From 3pm to 6pm the management should keep a portion of this pool open to the public. The 'heated' 50m pool is not suitable for small children in the cooler months or outside school hours due to its lack of heat retention.

Great place to take your toddlers. I love the old school mushroom pool with water jets and mini slides. My little girl loved it. Please, never renovate it. It is perfect. 1 year later. The Lawnton pool have beautifully updated their little kiddy pool. They have not removed any of the existing mushrooms or slides. They have just given it a fresh lick of paint with vibrant colours and new tiles on the floor of the pool. We love coming here and love all the other little children that we meet while we are here.

By far the dirtiest of all the Moreton Bay Council pools. Most toilet seats are broken, there are smears of unidentifiable brown something on bathroom doors and walls, toilets look like they’re never cleaned. The outdoor pool is full of debris; leaves, rubbish, bandaids, etc. I won’t be coming back here.

Don't go to this pool at 5 in afternoon if your planning on doing any kind of exercise. Swimming squad was on taking most of the outside pool. Only one lane open for lappers of which their were 4 of us trying to use it. In the leisure part full of kids that have finished their training doing bomb dives in the pool of which one large red head kid nearly jumped on my head he was very pleased with himself. Kids blocking the ramp in and out of the pool. The lifeguard was just watching and not pulling them up for it. No parents telling kids not to jump in the shallow pool. Their are no signs up at the front saying squad in session or timetable. Late morning early afternoon is best for this pool.

Could be opened longer on aqua nights. Aqua finishes at 7pm and the centre closes at 7pm so you are rushed out., it could be left open till 730 for those 2 nights like Sandgate Parents keep their children in the pool till we are literally starting. Some people have arrived to do gentle exercises but get told they have to leave as always takes up whole pool. This needs to be made clear when they come in.

Beautiful spot. Been there twice now. Pretty accessible. Second time had not been rainfall for a while and the water was not very nice and still and did not get in, the first time it was super good and flowy. First time going in the summer plenty of people, second time in the winter none. Again amazing spot! Photos from August visit.

Beautiful swimming hole, 1 hour 40 from Brisbane. The hole is just 1 min walk down a short track from the car park. Beautiful winding roads all the way there and back. Highly recommend a four-wheel-drive as the road into D’aguilar National Park is unsealed with very loose stones and quite gravelly. There are toilets about 10 minutes away from these falls with a nice picnic spot. Bring water shoes as might help you navigate the sharp rocks underfoot.. you can explore a little further up from the falls and further down. Suitable for children >5 in my opinion as it’s fairly deep without too many places for shallow paddling.

A beautiful swimming hole, it feels like a secluded secret. We were lucky and got to enjoy this piece of paradise completely alone! Managed the tracks well in our VW T5 van so can be reached without a 4x4 but would avoid if you have a newer or are precious about your vehicle. We saw many turtles, a lizard, a cheeky cormorant and a red belly black snake basking on the overcast day. We stayed at the campsite nearby which also has beautiful creeks close which can be enjoyed too. No toilets/places to change so go before you arrive and come ready to swim!

Five stars for Irina Mikhailitchenko, aqua fitness instructor extraordinaire! Since becoming a regular in her rehab classes my strength and flexibility have improved enormously. What’s your core business? I’m being serious. Are you a rustic garden cafe, garden centre or are you a swim centre? I love all of these things, however … Summer is coming - there are purpose built shade structures that can’t be used by people - kids - because there are dozens of plant pots beneath them. Some seating can’t be used because of overflowing garden beds and dirt. I sometimes wonder if line of sight is an issue. Staff are lovely, instructors patient and caring, facilities are awesome and clean. Please, consider removing 50-75% of the pots n stuff, the place will still be absolutely charming but feel more open and spacious.… Please. 🙏 🙏🙏

Matter of fact, I was just open the freezer to take ice cream, it wasn’t even 30 sec, she stormed saying I shouldn’t leave it open. It’s not like ice cream is gonna melt within 1 min of freezer being kept open. She acted like it was her personal problem. Don’t expect customer service from that old grumpy grandma.

My 2 & 4yo are cautious/slow to swim kids. The Story time lessons and instructors have been absolutely wonderful being patient and gently supportive of their progress and the kids now love swimming lessons etc. Place is quirky as with all sorts of toys in and around the pools, but the kids love it and it feels very wholesome.

We were looking forward to visiting this pool. However the slide they have there is only for children under 6. Was given an alternative by the lifeguard who pointed at the inflatable. Which is supposed to be open on weekdays 11:30-12:30, however not long after he pointed it out another lifeguard started deflating it and packing it down. It was only 12:00, so was only available for 30 mins before they packed it away. It seems nice and clean, that's why it has 2 stars despite the negatives.

What a weird place. The children's pool has stuffed toys, plastic, mismatched toys and a dangerous slide which goes nowhere. It is unhygienic and inappropriate for a children's environment. It all felt quite creepy. It should all be thrown out and the pool made to look more as it should- a place to teach children to swim and enjoy the water.

Excellent swim teachers- they are very patient amidst all the noise of other classes, splashing water and chatter. My child has gained so much more water confidence since beginning and for that, I’m thankful for the Rackley Jindalee teachers. My little one also was able to have some underwater photography done a while back when a photog contractor visited and we loved what she was able to achieve. A smaller local pool compared to a few others but gets the job done. Change rooms, while older, also get the job done. Would love to see lockers installed, especially for during school holidays. Parking can be a bit tricky but otherwise, no major issues.
Luxe P — Google review
Third day of 5 intensive swimming lessons and what an utter disappointment. I have spent countless hours sitting poolside watching my son waste his time learning to swim at another venue. I was very hopeful that that would change here, especially as we had to drive a lot further. Today, I watched as my son & 2 others dictate how the lesson would go to the instructor, who showed up 10 minutes late, gave no apology, and didn't bother making up for lost time. When you pay to have someone teach your child a skill, that "instuctor" should be teaching your child the skill. Not the child tell her what to do. And when the parent of that child approaches the staff to complain and ask questions, the staff should be professional enough not to back stab that parent. Be empathetic enough to understand that us parents spend a lot of time and money for our children to be taught necessary skills such as swimming. It is not a hobby for us to sit there and watch someone waste that!!

This is a lovely pool. I've been swimming for 30+ years in many of Brisbane's city pools, so I can compare. Jindalee has good showers. They have a good disabled shower room. Young children can safely splash in the shallow toddlers' pool. While there's no canteen, visitors can bring their own food to enjoy at the picnic tables. However, limited shaded areas may pose a challenge on hot days.
Great pool in the suburbs to cool down on a hot day. Have a fun kids area that’s manned by a lifeguard constantly. Have deeper area for bigger kids. Great picnic table facilities available. Allow you to bring food in for the kids etc. Admission is cheap. The toilets are old and not well maintained unfortunately so I wouldn’t plan to shower here after a swim. But, all round great way to cool down with the kids for a good price. Would recommend.

The heated pool is a bit cold today. It always was warm and comfortable enough to swim during winter. Also why the pool temperature was not displayed on the wall any more? And the Shower Doors and Tiles were pretty dirty and molded which needs more attention and cleaning.

Excellent Pool facilities Indoor and Outdoor. They need to work upon thier batroom and shower facilities. Availability ofvswimming teachers is not consistent. For better learning experience continuity with one teacher ia important for kids. Overall an excellent facility for kids swimming activities.

Place is an absolute joke. The heated pool is always broken and freezing which in winter is absolutely awful. Staff tell u to just swim faster? Aqua classes get cancelled with no notice and even staff aren't advised. I waited in freezing water for 20 mins waiting, jumped out and was told i couldn't get a refund for the aqua class because technically i used the pool!! No wonder they have a bad reputation and trouble getting repeat customers. I wont ever be back!

Good, heated indoor pool and really affordable. We come in as soon as they open and don't typically need to share a lane with others within the first hour. The shower and toilet facilities are not that great and really need upgrades so would skip using it if you can. There's also only two of each for women (and probably men's too). So it can take quite a long time to get your turn
L C — Google review
Great place for kids (young and old) to paddle and have water play in the summer. Toilet facilities onsite, no canteen so bring your own lunch. Good lifeguard presence who love to have a chat to the littlies. The venue lost a star simply due to the lack of shade/covered areas which makes it a little tricky to park your family somewhere out of the sun to eat on a super hot/super busy day. There is a grassy incline where you can erect little beach tents but flat grassy land is limited. We tend to spend a couple of hours here rather than a full day. It's amazing value atm with the $2pp entry.

Rocks Riverside Park, located in the south-west of Brisbane, was once an industrial estate filled with warehouses but has now been transformed into a sprawling district park perfect for families. The park features a water play area with rock pools, fountains, and shade sails to keep kids entertained and protected from the sun. It offers various activities for kids of all ages including playgrounds, sandpits, and toddler-specific play equipment.
Fun! Water play wasn't on when we went there, just the little rock pools but we still had a great time. There is a beautiful huge tree with a large canopy and a deck below with seats where you can have lunch or dry off after swim. The play ground is geared to older kids, over 5 because of the height of some of the drops but there is also a little kids playground which is totally shaded by trees! The park is expansive and we barely scratched the surface so we'll be back for sure.

Great park for kids with multiple play areas. A large section in the middle of the park is currently under construction though, including the whole waterplay area, which was a shame to discover after travelling here, plus there's a fair amount of construction noise. Signs say it'll be closed until at least Dec 2025. Plenty still to do though including both playgrounds, a huge jumping pillow and a flying fox.

This is a great Park for family visits. There are so many fun activities to enjoy and the children love it - and mind you many of the parents love joining in as well. There are many beautiful trees in the park, picnic tables etc Also there is a very good walking track stretching for many kilometres alongside the lovely Brisbane river for those who love to walk, run, jog, bicycle etc.

Woorim Beach, located on the ocean side of Bribie Island, is a picturesque stretch of sandy coastline that offers a tranquil environment for various activities such as relaxing, swimming, and dog walking. It is the closest patrolled surf beach to Brisbane, making it easily accessible for those seeking an ocean getaway without traveling too far. The beach is family-friendly with amenities like a playground, skate park, BBQ and picnic areas.
Patrolled beach with wheelchair ramps, accessible toilets and parking. Swim between the flags during patrolled hours for safety and enjoy the lovely view of Mulgumpin (aka Morton Island), playground and park benches and plenty of cafes and places to eat nearby. As well as shaded grass areas, surf club, and areas to have a picnic and enjoy local art installations.

Nice peaceful beach. We went via Access 5. There's only few car parking spots, 12-15 at most? Access 6 has the outside shower and public toilets. I believe there's been erosion from Cyclone Albert and water is more brown? I haven't been before the cyclone so I can't compare.

Beautiful beach... Were up there early to get a car park. Watched a pod of dolphins for about an hour. So peaceful.. Not too crowded
Jessica W — Google review
Stopped at Edwin Schrag's lookout along the beach and noticed a bit of commotion going on at another entrance. After going to Curlew St and on to the beach, we came across net fishing, a toy library, and a large snake slithering across the sand. Wow!
Loucas I — Google review
Beautiful and very popular beach where people come from a long way too play in the sea. The general shopping area and surrounds feels very run down and definitely not like a thriving beach or holiday spot. A couple good cafes on the beach but not a lot to choose from. The Surf club offers dining with good views. Given the popularity of the area with large numbers of visitors from off the island, the place would benefit from improved planning and development and a decent shopping centre to meet at least the basic needs of holiday makers.

This tranquil beach is perfect for families seeking a peaceful escape. With its uncrowded shores and soft sand, it's an ideal spot for relaxation. Patrolled by the local surf club, safety is ensured for everyone. 🌊 While the beach is pristine and clean, remember to bring your own food and water as there are no nearby shops. And please, take your trash with you to help preserve the beauty of this peaceful retreat. 🚮

Gorgeous, quiet and well kept beach on Bribie Island. Just enough surf to get the body board out too. Lifeguards have flags set up for swimmers to stay in between but the waters felt a lot calmer than the Gold Coast! We saw plenty of dolphins swimming here too! Toilets available and plenty of parking in the car park.

Love winter swimming at this beach. Not a true surf beach. Low waves but strong enough to knock you over (and they did) sea temp is 19 deg, while air temp is 21 deg.

Visitors can also make use of the boat ramp to explore the island by sea. The beach offers stunning views of the Pumicestone Passage and the Glasshouse Mountains from its esplanade, where people can be seen walking their dogs or enjoying various activities.
It’s very relaxing here 😌 It’s a good place to take a walk and relax your body and soul. If you like to watch the sunset, You might as well take your partner for a walk here Then go to a nearby restaurant to eat increase mutual affection If you live here, You should look at the beautiful scenery every day It can completely release the body’s stress Recommended to everyone

Came here to visit family. Very nice location. Took a walk up and down the esplanade where there were plenty of seats to take in the views of the Pumicestone Passage and the Glasshouse Mountains. There were plenty of people out and about taking walks, walking their dogs or walking with their children, riding their bikes or enjoying the shade whilst the children played on the playground. Nice sealife engravings in the concrete paths and on the sea walls following the esplanade. Lorikeets could also be seen up in the trees nesting in the hollows.

Sylvan Beach offers an idyllic setting that will leave you refreshed and rejuvenated. Plenty of parking areas, has toilets, barbeque, dog should be leash, has playgrounds for kids and a beatiful scenery you can enjoy while walking along the shoreline.

Water is murky and dirty. Didn’t want to swim in it especially given no showers. More of a place to sit in the shade on a bench rather than a swimming beach. Found Woorim beach on other side of the island much better for a swim

Lovely quite beach front with beautiful water views 😍 lots to do from swimming, hire boats to go fishing or just getting out on the water, you can also hire kayak and paddle boards.

This is a good beach to be visited. There is no much people here. Can use it as a camping place or even picnic with family

Great spot to stop and relax and watch the boats and jetskis having fun. You can get a good look at Glass House Mountains in the distance too.

Shadey trees to picnic under, calm water amenities and eatery places close by. Water is a very comfortable temperature. Take care in the water as Pumicestone Passage can become deep quickly.

Runcorn Pool is a popular spot with both indoor and outdoor pools. The 25-meter heated outdoor pool and the 14-meter indoor programs pool cater to swimmers of all ages. Families with young children can enjoy the children's pool, complete with a waterslide and interactive water play features. Recent renovations have improved the cleanliness of the bathroom and change room area, although there may be some wait time for showers due to limited availability.
I've been coming to this place since my children were infants, for the swimming lessons. Sixteen years later, both my sons work here as Lifeguards, and the rest of my family still attend regularly weekly. Runcorn Pool is an extension of our families' healthy living in Brisbane. The sense of community and diversity of clients is absolutely beautiful. Well done for bringing the same into your workforce.
Naseema M — Google review
Liked the indoor pool, heated and lovely. The cute birds flying about were a real perk. A angry elderly man going the wrong for laps was a bit disconcerting when he spat fire at my child for swimming near him - but it gave us a chuckle and is not the pools fault! The bathrooms were lovely, the showers were hot and the staff helpful! The little kids area was amazing!!!! Wish I knew about it when the kids were little! I could easily see spending a day paddling there with a toddler. The outdoor was also clean and a nice temperature. Plenty of signs reminding parents to supervise their own children, and your child can’t drown if you are actively supervising them 👌
Candice C — Google review
Did not recommend this pool. My son is 5-year-old, I just came and watched him swimming. The guy charged my son $4.95 and myself $6.65 for a full adult entry because he was saying ‘I am using the swimming pool’, then I asked him for the paper work or formal document showing that I need to pay this fee. The guys (he said he is the manager) could not show me and kept saying I’m unbelievable??? 0 star for sure

Awesome service, very helpful staff and patient towards kids and time. Thank you so much. We had a wonderful time and would recommend highly. The sun shades also helped a lot. Your help with setting up 2 X Gazebos was very much appreciated. We could also bring our own food. The price was very reasonable compared to other aquatic centres.
Viral T — Google review
Update 23/12/23: the bathrooms have been renovated! They now have a beautifully clean bathroom and change room area. There are a couple toilets, but only two showers so that is the only downside- you may have to wait a bit for the showers. But other than that, love it! My go to pool since moving here. It is a decent sized pool with good amounts of parking and good seating areas too. The place is currently under construction so there is no outdoor water bubbler or clock, and the change rooms, toilets and showers are makeshift ones (which are sometimes not very well cared for or maintained by the patrons). Overall, however, the pool is great. I use the outdoor one, which is 25m. It is not heated, but has about 6 lanes for swimming or playing. Depending on the time you come, there may be squad swimming or training, so just keep that in mind. There is an indoor, heated 14m pool that the children generally play in. The staff/ service here is up and down. Some of the staff are great, friendly and hardworking. Others seem to just stand around and don’t even really bother to greet you.
Jenny — Google review
The entire staff group here are terrific - it is always great to see everyone here each week The pools and facilities are amazing, but for us x 3 it is the outstanding staff that make the difference why we choose Runcorn pools We would also like to give a shout out to Brace for his exceptional life guard and team workmanship that doesn’t go un noticed by us members of the public
Karen W — Google review
The outdoor bathroom is new with independent shower room which is nice. Indoor pool is heated but not very warm. In general it’s okay but there are some concerns I would like to raise. One is that the facility seems to be built in the early years and some tiles are coming off. They put anti-slippery mat over the missing tiles. It remains in doubt if they are planning on fixing them. The other issue is that there are birds flying around. I can definitely see a bird nest right above the pool. If the birds spend their nights above the pool I assume their droppings could go straight into the water causing sanitary concerns.
YummyAmy — Google review
The staff are friendly, but I was very disappointed to find out I had to pay just to supervise my child while they swam—especially since this wasn’t required a few years ago. It feels unfair and like an added burden on families, particularly during tough financial times. I’ve since cancelled my children’s swimming lessons at Rackley Pool Runcorn. Sleeman Sports Swimming Complex is a much better alternative, with superior facilities and no supervision fees for parents—which makes a real difference. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend Rackley.

Goodlife Health Clubs Holland Park is part of a popular health club chain in Australia, catering to over 295,000 members. The gym offers a two-level state-of-the-art facility with a variety of equipment for different exercises. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are well-maintained and clean. It can get busy during peak hours, but overall it's a great place to work out. Additionally, the club provides amenities such as squash courts and a pool.
I love Holland Park Goodlife and of late it’s become so much as there is a new manager Sarah who is so proactive and cares for her staff and us members and gets things done. It makes coming to the gym really positive in its atmosphere. Well done all the team !
Erin C — Google review
Interesting Goodlife gym with the addition of three the squash courts, quite unusual for this brand of gym. Were six which been converted into more gym space, thses aren't best being the separated from the main exercise floor and with no natural light. Pool outside was alright did give off old budgeted motel vibes, still very cold despite being a hot day. The equipment wasn't the best with few missing leg mechanics, which is an issue with most of goodlife gyms in this area. Can get good workout with this gym and would benefi if was updated with the equipment and gym floor was open 24/7.

I’ve been a member over a year. I’ve given feedback about broken treadmills more than once and they don’t rectify issues. One stopped on me randomly suddenly causing injury, they are about 50/50 on whether they can even get to running speed because I suspect the internals are dying. I don’t know who their supplier is because the Goodlife at Carina Heights and Carindale (same treadmills) have fantastic treadmills. Pictured treadmill is unable to go above 10 speed. There are about 5 others similar. Staff are nice but they just smile and nod and promise to tell the manager - but nothing happens.
Jay D — Google review
Avoid Goodlife Holland Park at all costs. They sign you up by any means, then overcharge you with confusing pricing. I paused my membership and was still billed for months I didn’t use. Customer service is non-existent—emails to Chontel, Sarah, Aaron, and others went unanswered for over six months. They ignore you unless you confront them directly. The gym is run down, smells bad, and machines are old broken with no repairs. Calls to the head office go unanswered, and contact forms are ignored. I’ve been a member for three years, and it has gotten a lot worse this year. Do not waste your money—Goodlife is a ghost company. I will never return.
Nomad K — Google review
Most of the staff at GoodLife Holland Park have been kind and helpful, which I really appreciate. However, my experience with the manager has been very disappointing. When I raised a concern regarding a personal trainer, I expected it to be handled with care and professionalism. Instead, the manager was dismissive, uninterested, and made no effort to resolve the issue. Her lack of basic customer service skills was surprising, especially in a leadership role. It felt like my concerns were brushed aside. I hope Goodlife takes this feedback seriously and addresses the clear gap in management conduct at this location.
An B — Google review
I am really disappointed with the service and management at Goodlife Holland Park. My partner and I signed up for a 12-month contract in March. In June, we received a call from Goodlife telling us our “3-month membership” was ending and asking if we wanted to cancel or continue. We had clarified that we had signed up for a 12-month membership to which they said their system wasn’t showing that so if we wanted to cancel or continue it was up to us. Since we had moved further away, we we’re actually quite happy with their offer we chose to cancel our membership. Two months later, we noticed that payments were still being deducted from our account. When we called, an employee admitted there had been miscommunication, stating that the original staff member who contacted us had since been terminated and they were still dealing with the fallout of that person’s ongoing mistakes. We were told this would be passed on to management for follow-up. Unfortunately, the manager’s response was appalling. Rather than apologising or taking responsibility, she dismissed our concerns, accused us of lying, and claimed the notes from the “3 month check-in call” simply said “no questions asked.” They offered to receive a recording of the call which we happily agreed to. They said this would take a long time to retrieve but we still wanted to proceed. We asked to have our accounts frozen in the meantime, and waited. Despite this, our accounts were never frozen, and we have now been told there is no recording available. At no point has management apologised for their miscommunication or taken responsibility for the fact that: 1. We were told our membership was cancelled when it wasn’t. 2. We were misled into thinking our accounts were frozen while the issue was being resolved. 3. We have continued to be charged despite following their instructions. We were not asking for a refund of the money taken over the last few months. All we had requested is that our memberships be cancelled and the $195 cancellation fee waived. Given that we were provided with misleading and deceptive information by Goodlife staff, this request is more than reasonable and is supported by Australian Consumer Law (s18). It is concerning that a manager of a national gym chain shows such a lack of customer service, accountability, and knowledge of consumer rights. Instead of resolving an issue that was entirely caused by their own mismanagement, they have chosen to shift the blame onto us and continue charging us a membership and a cancellation fee. We are now left with no choice but to take this further.

This gym is really in need of some upgrades. It’s not 24/7 so there should be ample time for cleaners to come through but all the machines are constantly grubby. The machines are also packed uncomfortably close together. They need to get the wet wipe stations like at Yerongpilly so equipment can actually be cleaned properly, a squeeze bottle (that is missing or empty half the time) and paper towel isn’t good enough.
Zoey J — Google review
Although the gym is completely run down, sauna stinks and weight equipment is old….the GF instructors are next level! I have been a member of gyms for over 20 years in three different countries and never have I had such top level instructors! Especially the early morning instructors, so experienced and good at their jobs it’s crazy. I don’t know How they have managed to recruit such excellent instructors.

I only meant to dip my toes, but the pool had other plans. One moment I was standing on the edge, the next I was completely consumed. It was cool, intoxicating, and unapologetically refreshing — the kind of fling that leaves you breathless and wondering what just happened. I knew it couldn’t last; eventually, I had to towel off and walk away. But for that brief, shimmering encounter, it was everything I didn’t know I needed. No promises, no strings — just pure, chlorinated passion.

The sauna doesn't work properly and is always very dirty. you guys have to do something to improve this. I took the complaint to the reception many times. But they didn't pay much attention. They don't care about the complaints because there are many, there are many broken and dirty things that need to be fixed and the service at Good Life Lutwyche it's terrible.

This Goodlife has an interesting layout around the pool that was on the ground floor. There weren't enough lockers on the gym floor on the second story. Seen on image eight, the sealing had a worrying warp in the corner next to the cable machines. Can still get a good workout with this gym but differently benefit with full renovation in the near future.

I've never been satisfied with any of their services because they're so helpful when signing up, and if you cancel, they say it's absolutely easy, absolutely Ultimate members. I had a one-year contract that ended. But what I've paid for a year and three months isn't enough, and they keep telling me I have to pay, giving me all sorts of excuses. This is completely unfair. After the first two months, when I tried to cancel at a place I've never been to, they told me I could pay over $300 and cancel. This place, which charges my wife and me $50 a week, instead of helping me cancel, demands more money. I don't recommend it to anyone. A place that treats its customers this way got this review from me, and I'll always tell everyone about this behavior. I'm leaving this review here. A truly evil business with a money-oriented mindset only makes people unhappy this way. At least 30 people who choose this place in the future will lose at least now.

Pretty disappointed with this gym. You have to use their app just to get in, and if your phone dies or the app glitches (which it does a lot), you’re stuck outside. No keycards, no backup option — just the app. Super inconvenient and honestly a bit ridiculous. Not worth the hassle. On top of that, it feels like they’ve wasted money developing this tech instead of upgrading the actual gym. Machines are outdated, amenities are lacking, and the place could really use a refresh. Get your priorities straight. The machines still carry the Fitness First logos. That’s how old they are.

Frustrating Experience – Poor Account Management After over six months as a member at Goodlife, I’m really disappointed with the ongoing issues I’ve faced. I paid for a full two-year membership upfront. Despite that, the gym linked a direct debit to my bank account and started withdrawing money on a fortnightly basis, then refunding it repeatedly. This went on for weeks. My bank eventually contacted me, flagging it as suspicious activity. I spoke to the gym and asked them to stop, but the issue continued. In the end, I had to cancel my card and get a new one just to make it stop. I didn’t leave a negative review at the time, hoping it was just a mistake. But today, my friend and I checked in, and when we tried to go upstairs, a staff member stopped her and said her membership card wasn’t properly linked to her account. She’s been a member for months with no prior issues, and this came out of nowhere. It was frustrating and embarrassing for her. It’s honestly disappointing to see such a lack of care in managing memberships and payment systems. I expected more from a major gym chain like Goodlife. I’ll update my rating if I notice a genuine improvement in their level of customer service. ☹️

Have been a keen sportsman all my life. Was felled by a torn meniscus late last year after 4 consecutive days on the golf course, brought on by osteoarthritis. A knee replacement looked likely. Alex worked with me on a rehab program to strengthen my legs and get some lazy muscle groups back making a contribution. I'm now back on the golf course regularly and walking with confidence and back on my daily fitness routine. Alex's program was spot on, moreover throughout the process he explained things clearly so I understood why I was doing what and what to expect. I highly recommend Alex's services and expertise.

From the friendly staff to clean facilities, Morningside has always been a wonderful gym. It may be a little outdated but still has a lot of offer in terms of overall facilities and group classes. It's a great gym if you're wanting something a bit smaller and are intimidated by "gym bros".

The gym itself is spacious and clean. Lots of room to work out and doesn’t feel cramped. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The equipment in the gym is quite old and could use with an upgrade! That would make it a 10/10 experience

I have been a member at Morningside for around 20 years. The facilities suit my needs being clean and in good order with the staff being both helpful and friendly. On the downside I attend between 5.15am and 6.05am and of late it has been difficult to access equipment because people occupying the machines are spending copious amounts of time on their mobile phones in some cases I have completed 3 sets whilst waiting for someone to finish one set. Whilst there is signage on display dealing with this issue it is quite small and a "bit soft" in content. Some change would be worth consideration. Mostly the "culprits" are males.

Decent club, however Goodlife policies are not quite up to par with other health clubs. Staff are quite pushy, even when you request not to be contacted, they’ll keep going until you just ignore them. Management seems to completely lack any kind of empathy besides the ‘retail smile’. The HQ is unbelievably unresponsive, and when they do respond, it’s not even remotely related to what you asked about and quite rude. Impossible to believe this place is still in business, or even has moments where it is busy, noting the staff attitudes and equipment quality.

Goodlife Health Clubs Carseldine is part of a popular chain in Australia, catering to over 295,000 members. It offers a wide range of facilities and operates 24/7, making it convenient for those looking to lead an active lifestyle. The gym provides various equipment for cardio and strength training, along with friendly staff who are always ready to assist. Additionally, the women's section is highly appreciated by its members.
I have been a member with Goodlife for 17 years and have enjoyed workouts at the gym. There are rules that are placed throughout the gym and a new one needs to be added “ if you’re on your phone all the time then you are not exercising “, I have no problem with people socialising but they should do it without occupying the workout machines and stations. It is a great gym in every way.

This Gym deserves a 4 star at least but they have still not repaired the dangerous pool railing issue so until it is repaired I will give this gym a 3 star review. The glazed tiling trim is coming off in thin glass shavings and I reported this concern when a child cut their foot on the damaged glazing on the tile edge. I went to check if the issue was resolved this week to give a fair review but I am disappointed that the pool edging, I was told by management, is still waiting for approval from head office to be fixed. This is really disappointing news. This is is a good club with access to a pool, which is great. A while back there were issues with the glazing tiles in the pool flaking off which was super dangerous but I believe that management have since taken care of this OHS and public safety issue. The pool has a ramp entry and can be used for occupational therapy too and has a less deep area for kids too. There are many trainers to choose from and a good range of equipment. They do have no-lock in contract options for a higher premium. Reception staff are friendly. Not too much pressure to join or if you leave but the gym still lacks some magic. The group exercise options are limited to one main hall from what I could see and the experience is less personal or polished than I would have imagined from this club. Still, it’s definitely a good gym option in the area with less parking challenges to face in comparison to other gyms that are closer to Chermside. It’s a unisex gym and it includes free weight and highly mechanised weight options.

Instead of calling it a gym, you might as well call it a sauna. It’s like all the fans are just for decoration, in the year I’ve been here, I’ve never seen them turned on. The smell of sweat fills the whole room. For safety reasons, I’d recommend going to another gym.

We had a wonderful experience at the Carseldine Good Life Club. We tried several gyms before finding this one. The staff is friendly and provided thorough explanations about all the gym equipment and how to use it correctly. I strongly recommend this gym as the best option in Carseldine, especially given its affordable prices.

I have an issue with the new phone app What happens when your phone is not working or there is an outage on the networks . So we can not train after hrs becuse we can not get into the front door. Not everyone can train work hrs . What about the elderly that don't have a phone and train at night how are they going to get into train. This is a major problem and it needs to be addressed. Leave the card system it works.

According to the disenfranchised population of the Southside, they can't afford a membership here. It costs 400.00 per month This just includes access to the equipment, no personalized training sessions. Hence, they're not members here. They struggle to pay 2.50 per litre for fuel. My response is why don't you buy a TESLA for $100,000? That will allow you to avoid fuel stations forever. Your reliance on petrol, which no longer is being circulated or produced much due to the WEF socialist agenda, is not my problem. The USA significantly reduced fuel production courtesy of Joe Biden, so has Saudi Arabia. Alberta produces petrol, but Alberta never has had a fuel trade agreement with Australia. It never will Danielle Smith and the Province of Alberta are refusing to buy American Alcohol That's a 217 million dollar loss for the economy.

Manly Pool, located at 1 Fairlead Crescent, Manly, offers a 25-meter outdoor heated pool and a secure kids' pool suitable for toddlers. The facility also features a twisting tube slide that provides fun for older kids and adults. Visitors can enjoy designated lanes for lap swimming and plenty of covered areas. Additionally, the pool is reasonably priced with flexible hours of operation.
What an outstanding public facility! Entrance costs and shop are a bit pricey but the decor is fresh and contemporary and the pool is very clean and heated (although why you need that in Brisbane, I don't know 😂)
Sean W — Google review
Nice place to bring the kids or come and do some laps. Plenty of covered area and a slide for all ages that appears to be open at varying times of the day. Designated lanes for those people looking to do laps. Reasonably priced and you can stay as long as you like inside business hours. Good day out. Markets are generally on both days of the weekends just outside the pool so parking could be an issue while they are on but other than that pretty good.

Went to Manly Bathes today for a picnic, not good, the smell of sewage coming from nearby toilet complex is very strong. Very disappointing, I love the area. Used to come to the bathes in the fiftys, great.

Very nice, got everything you want/need from a public pool including a cool waterslide.
Luke H — Google review
Awesome staff, accidentally left my water bottle, 1/2hr later when I called they had it in their office and I got it back post haste. Friendly, pretty on top of things where the lanes are concerned…. Navigation(which side to swim on with multiple swimmers) and setting up extra lanes when needed. I feel good swimming here, not sick when I come out from excessive chlorine, water temp is great though I have yet to try in the cooler months. Only negatives are 1.(for me) The humidity in the change rooms if you are a private person, you can’t get dry enough to dress in any cubicle. 2. The slushy machine is out of order….

Good 25m lap pool for training and fitness. Section for kids with small water slide. Be careful of opening hours as these are seasonal and I have recently been caught out thinking it was open. Refer to pics below for seasonal opening times. Change rooms are reasonably clean but older style. Last visit had no foam or liquid soap for basins in bathrooms.

Visitors appreciate the indoor heated therapy pool, which is particularly beneficial for seniors with physical disabilities. However, some patrons have expressed concerns about limited access to the therapy pool due to children playing in it.
I swim laps in the indoor heated pool. It's always clean. The water temp is beautiful & inviting. I love the water, this is my happy place where I also do my laps. After which I float around & take 5 for myself to relax in the water before hopping out. Awesome full body workout & you feel refreshed. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Easy to access..Thank you!

the facility is currently under construction, which makes it really difficult to find especially if you’re not familiar with the area. there was no clear signage or proper directions given, and i had to repeat myself to multiple people just to figure out where to go. there’s only one shower available, and despite all of this, they’re still charging full price; actually, more than double what it usually costs at other aquatic centres, even in brisbane. no understanding or empathy was shown for the inconvenience & felt really overwhelmed by the lack of basic communication or support. if you’re expecting a smooth or welcoming experience, just be aware that the current setup doesn’t reflect that. by the way, i’m posting this as i’m waiting for the one available shower

Been going here with my little boy fpr a few weeks now for swimming lessons. Fiona his teacher is amazing and so patient and fun. I've also seen her with other students and she's so calm and very competent swimming teacher even in a swimming incident. Can't rate her highly enough. We’ve beengoing there every week didnt have any issue. This time we called in before we went if there is any lane available, the lady said yes. When we paid and went in pool, staff asked us to either come out of pool or move to a lane with a lot of pensioners that were just walking or just chilling there simply. We are new to swimming, we cant just take a lap in one go yet, we should have been told first that you cant take half laps or float. Even if we moved to other lane where pensioners were we would not be able to swim, practice or float. Really Poor communication, never going back.
Gagandeep K — Google review
Such a great idea locally for the kids! Only downfall we had to wait an hour to get in a pool as all the lanes were taken up by schools outside & other classes inside. So if u want to swim you have to wait until they all leave or wait for weekend.

I joined last December, & was not informed that my weekly payments for Aqua Aerobics would continue being deducted over the Christmas period when no classes were on. When I asked about it at the front desk, the girl there was so rude when I queried about being re-imbursed for the 3 weeks of no classes...She said to me, well What do you expect us to do ! In a very condescending voice ... Not happy ! Where is the customer service?

Kirsty E — Google review
Staff were friendly, and the hot chips were delicious, but I was disappointed that there was no gravy, and the sauce wasn’t free—it’ll cost you extra. What’s worse is the $3.65 fee for children or adults just to spectate. I was there for a swimming lesson for one of my children and was told to leave my other children at home if I didn’t want to pay the spectator fee. Some days, the chlorine is so strong—it burns your nose and your eyes the instant you go under the water, so don't forget your goggles. This policy feels unreasonable and not accommodating to families.

Great gym and has everything you need however the equipment is SO old and some rusted equipment. Desperately needs an upgrade of new machines please! I’ve been going here for 3 years and love the gym it’s perfect location but I would like to see more effort into providing better equipment. The kettle bells in particular need replacing 🙏 otherwise it’s a great gym! Great staff!

Switched from AF paddo to this place. Been here a few months. Staff are nice and when i visited and asked for a tour, they were so lovely and welcoming. It is a pretty big gym, plenty of machines and areas. Outside rack area with space to spread out and away from people. Outside Barbells are pretty old and rusty. I clean the barbells everytime so no issue, but you can get dirty rusty hands. Plenty of hand sanitiser around. Apart from the place being dirty, rusty and old it's a pretty good gym and I like coming here.

Disabled chairs base is angled in such a way that people slide straight off the chairs and are a serious hazard. They also don't have seatbelts, which again, acts as a serious hazard! I previously requested to have an incident report submitted in relation to such, but the chairs are still in service... Please remove these chairs and replace with safe ones. The place has good available parking. Only unhealthy food options are available (if it qualifies as being food). This is the case with most pools though, which is really disappointing. On the plus side, it has two disabled bathrooms, which is a big bonus for the disabled community. You can also apparently sling individuals directly into the pool. The place has two pools. One heated pool inside with a ramp and another outside pool, without a ramp.
Aaron A — Google review
The hydrotherapy area isn’t clean and staff don’t enforce the rules of the pool. There were lots of kids playing in the ramp area even as we were getting in and out with the wheelchair. None of the staff assisted. There were even adults filming. I don’t recommend Colmslie for hydrotherapy.
Christine — Google review
A bit of a sour taste... Attempted to cancel my membership, as I moved house and can't attend anymore. A minimum of 28 days (two whole additional payment cycles) will be charged to cancel my "no-lock-in" membership, despite having been a member for years. It just feels like they're stealing. There is no justifiable reason for it - no ongoing service obligations to me, and no additional administration... The pool and gym are fine, but the business practices are questionable.
Luke J — Google review
It wasn’t too crowded when I went, which made the whole experience more chill. Wouldn’t mind coming back for a swim or even trying out the health club side of things. Easy enough to get to, and they’re open until 8 pm, which is super convenient.

Great friendly and down to earth staff. The club feels welcoming. But I have to take one star off for lack of new machines, need more push chest and back machines, and better glute and legs machines. A big area is occupied by treadmills that only half seems to get any use. The lockers and floor could use once a month thorough clean. Goodlife clubs, in general, are pretty dirty with grease and grime. Do the cleaners even wipe and disinfect?

My son had his 9th birthday party here yesterday and it was easily the best party he has had. He had the best time and so did all of his friends. Massive shout out to the team here, they were so attentive and so good with the kids. The inflatables we hired provided endless fun for all the children and the staff who stood there hosing the kids and inflatables down made it so much more enjoyable for all! The fruit platters and nuggets and chips were delicious and enjoyed by all. A huge thank you to all the staff involved for making my sons day one to remember! 🥰 would 100% recommend for a party and I am sure we will be back😊

Our 4 year old has thrived here in her swimming lessons since changing swim schools. The indoor pool is fantastic for the little ones as they can still have their lesson even if it’s pouring rain or lightening around. Staff are friendly, director constantly makes visits to classes to check standards are high. Our daughters instructor Ainsley is so good with the 4-5 year olds. Facilities are ok. Shower heads need replacing with adjustable ones as water sprays everywhere. Toddler wading pool is so cute but man is it cold even in summer! Pretty good variety of choices in the canteen and having swimmers/towels/goggles for purchase is handy

They never answer the phone, so I've lost a few bookings, also tried resetting password for portal with no help and a reset password button that doesn't seem to work. Sometimes a teacher isn't there which I understand is unavoidable but the kids get put in with another class and then your kids getting less time in an over booked class even though you've paid the full cost. We really enjoyed the private bookings with Mitchell but the cost is too high for private. The group bookings hardly seems worth the cost when you work out they get maybe 5-10 actual minutes with an instructor depending.

Kids classes are awesome, my only complaint is that even though their main focus is kids, there are not enough family friendly facilities. Update: The indoor pool recently added several new change tables for the little ones, no more lines for the little ones.
Gilberto A — Google review
Very disappointed with today lap swim. Most lanes were taken so I was in a lane that said LAP SWIMMING and expecting to be able to get my swim done without kids kicking their legs into the lane I was using and go over and under lanes ropes to get to another lane. No LIFEGARDS to be seen I had to stop my training get out of the pool and request someone please ask the kids to stop swimming in front of me as I was going up and down the pool. Lifegards finally came out of wherever they were hiding and apparently spoke to the kids. A few minutes later they were trying it again and once again they were told to go to the other side of the pool. It's disgraceful that you pay the full fee and you can't even get a swim in without lifegards doing their job.

With multiple locations in Bulimba and Morningside, the school is dedicated to providing a positive experience for kids in the water.
We have been so happy with Hamptons swim school. It’s been lovely to be part of their community. My baby has been going since he was a newborn and he just loves it. I love watching his confidence in the water grow each week and how much fun he has. The teaches are extremely nurturing and the facilities and communication at the school are also great.

My little girl started at Hampton 6 months ago, her first lesson she loved and was very happy, however on her second swim lesson she didn't want to go in, cried, etc. Mrs Shaun was lovely and very patient with her as the whole Hampton's team. Anyway, we kept with positive vibe also I respect the instructors there to let them do there amazing job with her. Now, she's amazing and had her first level done. I just want to thank youu amazing team. Very grateful!! Mariana and Laura

We have been going to Hampton Swim school since my son was 8 weeks old in 2018 and have loved every minute of it. Our little daughter was also enrolled this year and she absolutely enjoys the program. Teachers, Admin staff, Managers are extremely friendly, supportive and well educated around the subject. Our son developed a fear of water after taking a break due to Covid and when he returned to the class the teachers were very encouraging and understanding. I highly recommend Hampton Swim School for anyone. Our children have had the BEST start to their swimming experience in life from Hampton and me and hubby are very thankful for that.

Our family has been members of Hampton Swim School for over two years now. Our two children, love their swimming lessons. They have had the same wonderful teacher, who provides consistent and thorough lessons every week. It has been so amazing to watch both of their skills and confidence in the water develop from young babies to toddlers. It gives us such reassurance living in sunny Queensland, that they are developing skills to potentially save themselves if they ever fell in water. We can’t recommend Hampton Swim School enough.

I have been bringing my daughter for 6 months since she was 10 weeks old. I love the small class sizes and the practical, gentle approach to the water. Miss Bec is wonderful! She is so knowledgeable. Her explanations about what we’re doing, and why, really helps to solidify the lesson. I was worried about the cooler months as it’s an outdoor pool, but the water is warm and the change room is heated. It’s also great to be able to do make up classes when we can’t attend, it shows a real commitment to the children’s water skills.

Our children have been swimming at Hampton Swim School for over 6 years now and they always love their pool sessions! The team at Hampton Swim school are always friendly and professional and we are so grateful for them offering classes all throughout the year for our children to maintain their skills and safety in the water. Can't recommend them highly enough!
Rachael A — Google review
Wonderful swim school! My son has attended for past five years and started swimming at 6 weeks old. Cannot recommend more highly. Hampton have a wonderful team of nurturing swim teachers. They accommodate classes to suit your schedule and offer make up sessions when not able to attend with prior notice. Very easy to deal with.

After trying out two other swimming pools, we decided to become members at Hamptons as their swimming program for babies was superior. I love they base their lesson according to the developmental stages of the child. Our new born baby loved the instructors from day one and now at 1 year of age she self submerges and is very confident swimming short distances under water.

Water park
Located within the lively South Bank Parklands, Boat Pool is a beloved free swimming spot in Brisbane. It features spacious pools, gardens, and a sandy beach for relaxation. The area also includes Streets Beach, Australia's only inner-city man-made beach, and Aquativity, an educational water-play park suitable for all ages. Lifeguards are present during the day to ensure safety while amenities such as showers and bathrooms are easily accessible.
This is a free outdoor pool right at the heart of Southbank. It only goes up to 1.1 meters deep so not good for jumping, diving, or deep swimming. But great for casual swimming, splashing around, and for people who can't swim well. (If that is the case also check if there's a lifeguard on duty which varies.) it's big and nice and has chairs with sunshades around. It is great for accessibility. There is a ramp to enter with a handrail as well as points with steps or a ladder. You can even rent a pool wheelchair for just a deposit at the info centre, but there are no signs to tell you that near the pool so you need to seek it out in advance. There are bathrooms including a handicap bathroom close by, though no showers I saw. Lots of restaurants and other pools next to it too. I went in late afternoon on a weekday in May and it was not crowded at all. There was a lot of natural debris and some unnatural debris in the pool, which makes sense for a big outdoor pool surrounded by nature and people. But if you're squeamish about that sort of thing this might not be the place for you. Or maybe try earlier in the day.
Kale S — Google review
Excellent location for people that want to have a quick dip. Particularly good for those with kids as there are lifeguards that monitor the pool. It is wheelchair accessible and has a large disabled bathroom that even has a ceiling hoist.
Dean M — Google review
Great spot for a relaxing day out. The water is clean, and the surroundings are well-kept, making it perfect for a casual swim or just lounging by the pool. It's not too crowded, which I appreciate, and the view is amazing.

The water felt clean and the layout made it easy to relax or move around without hassle. Shade spots and seating were well placed. Everything looked maintained and the setting gave off a calm, open-air vibe.

So so wonderful, actually quite envious that we don’t have these facilities where we live! Brisbane are kicking some serious goals here 🙏👏🙌👏👏😂

Fantastic pool to spend the hot summer. In holidays gets very busy but still ver clean. Normal days is perfect to swim. There are bathrooms very close and plenty of restaurants nearby.

Public swimming pool
Eagleby Aquatic Centre, situated at Cowper Avenue, Eagleby, offers a range of amenities including an outdoor 25-meter pool, a training pool, and a leisure pool with beach entry for kids. The center also features shaded playgrounds and areas, as well as a kiosk serving refreshments. Visitors can enjoy the gated lap pool and electric BBQs while the beach entry pool area provides ample shade and tables.
This hidden gem in Eagleby was the venue for our daughters 4th Birthday party and all our family and friends had the absolute best time and experience. We made a reservation to book an area exclusively for our party which was perfect, we were allowed to bring in our own catering, the venue provided a couple of extra tables and plenty of chairs and the facilities were perfect for children of all ages. The staff are amazing and so friendly and helpful! We had the best time today and will definitely be returning again in the future. Thank you Eagleby Aquatic Centre!

Went there 31/12 small community pool, lots of space for families to picnic while kids enjoy pool. No-one there while I was & it was great being able to do my pool rehab exercises. No deep pool, shallow area for young children. Main pool area goes from 1m to 1.3m deep. The place was very clean & today, large change rooms.
Trace — Google review
Clean, welcoming, accessible with lanes and a shallow end for children to safely enter and exit the water. Would benefit from some overhead flags to signal the ends of the pool when swimming backstroke, but overall very lovely.
Camille — Google review
Celebrated my granddaughters 7th birthday there today. Had a wonderful day and kids really enjoyed themselves. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities are great and spotless. So happy that we managed to get the pool to remain open.
Lesley B — Google review
Small pool but well maintained when we visited. Entry price adds up fast when you have several kids. Spectators may be charged same entry price as swimmers which is disappointing but they probably don't have sufficient staffing to keep track of swimmers/nonswimmers. Part of shallow end has shade which is great. Nice place to cool off if it's not too busy.

Great facility just newly renovated by Logan City Council ✅ Lifeguards on duty always ✅ Nice and clean pool ✅ Kids friendly shallow parts of pool available ✅ Locals are quite happy to have it ✅

Beautiful outdoor pool very warm in the sun. Great friendly staff. Wish the did swimming lessons for kids.

Pretty good for a small local pool wouldn't do very well if it was a super busy day as the pool is not that big awesome for the smaller kids as it's not to deep and you can swim around with them. Super clean and the parks pretty good also ,👍🏽🌻💘
