We wanted to drink a couple of cocktails and this place popped up on the map. Got to say, was very interesting seeing that they have a dress code, this is not something that you see all day. We had 2 raspberry gin that were decent taste and well done. To be honest we waited a little too long for them and the place was not full, most of the tables were empty. Anyway the place looks great on the inside, a little dark with a touch of mistery and nice design. I would recommend this place for drinks!

Super nice place, with elegant and courteous bartenders. You feel like you moved back in time to 1920s. Tasty drinks as well, but the interior is the highlight. Very small in terms of sitting, so if you're more than 2 people, it can be a struggle to seat.

Peter and Peter were excellent bartenders and the folks at the bar were also great to be around and socialize with, until it got later into the night about 2 hours before closing and two Serbian thugs/idiots/clowns entered the establishment and just brought down the vibes, they attempted to start confrontations with people sitting at the bar and threatened people who stood in the way of the bar (it’s a very small location so not much room) basically lovely place until undesirables entered. I guess I shouldn’t have expected the bartender to throw them out but for such an expensive and seemingly classy spot they didn’t really have much to back it up other than music and expensive cocktails. You’re not missing out if you don’t visit here.

A tiny bar dating back to 1908 designed by an architect called Loos hence the name. About 6 x 4 m in size inside, the use of lighting and mirrors gives the impression that the bar is bigger. There are also seats outside. Cocktails in range of €12.50 to €16 or €17. We paid in cash though I think there is a minimum spend of €30 on cards.

I used to love this place but they don’t have my favorite cocktails on the menu anymore. The two I tried this time were really underwhelming. „The most unusual Gin & Tonic“ tasted just like every other gin & tonic. And service was very slow.

The place and the atmosphere are wonderful, unfortunately the waitress is extremely unpleasant. She makes pressure to leave the bar as soon as possible, she is also very unpleasant whenever you ask her something. She also asks you several times to leave her a tip, and if you don't agree, you have to leave the bar. It's a shame because the place is really different, but I don't think I'll be coming back here anytime soon.

The drinks were great - the long drink I had was pretty strong so it was a good value for the money you pay. The visual appearance of the cocktail was also pretty interesting.

We enjoyed the four-course meal at Das Loft, and every dish was absolutely delicious — beautifully crafted, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced. What an incredible experience! The view over Vienna was simply breathtaking, not to mention the wonderful delicious plates which were reserved. A shout out to Max, our waiter, who made the experience even more enjoyable through his explanation and professionalism. Highly recommended!

The food is wonderful, tasty, and well prepared. The atmosphere is amazing. I had a great seat with a wonderful view. There's only one area that was a little disappointing, and I'll categorize it as service, but don't think it was the fault of my server. A full 40 minutes passed between my starter course and main dish. If the restaurant were packed, I could maybe understand that kind of time gap, but occupancy was perhaps 50%. So I don't understand so much time passed between courses. It was such an uncomfortably long time that it impacted my overall enjoyment, which is too bad, because the restaurant was nailing everything else.

Booked the LOFT IN LOVE package following a proposal and I honestly could not fault Das Loft. Our server Toby was attentive and made sure everything was absolutely perfect. If you’re planning an engagement dinner, I would highly recommend this wonderful place. The food, the service, the ambience and the view was faultless.

Elegant place to eat to, I loved the view and the food. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the octopus, it was very soft and the sauce was creamy and delicate. The drinks were well mixed, we were very satisfied about everything❤️❤️❤️❤️

We made a reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had high expectations for both the food and the overall experience. On the positive side, the restaurant is beautiful—stylishly decorated, with very comfortable chairs and amazing views of the city. At night, the rooftop lights create a stunning atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, which we really appreciated. When we made the reservation, we were asked if we were celebrating something—I mentioned our anniversary—but unlike someone at a nearby table who got a little birthday cake, we didn’t get anything at all. It’s not that we expected much, but it did feel like we were kind of overlooked. When you’re spending that much on a special night out, it’s a bit disappointing to see others being acknowledged and not you. We also chose the wine pairing menu. Some of the wines were delicious, while others weren’t really to our taste. If you enjoy discovering new wines from small producers, it’s a fun experience—the explanations were interesting too. But if you want to be sure you enjoy every glass, you might be better off choosing your own wine. As for the food, it was a bit hit-and-miss. The pork belly, the bread and butter, dessert, and the sides were all really good. But the main issue was with the steaks. We ordered one medium rare and one medium well, and although they were served cut in different sizes (which made us think they’d been cooked accordingly), both turned out to be well done. That was disappointing. On top of that, the sauce was overly salty—luckily the creamy gnocchi and cauliflower on the side helped balance it out. All in all, it was a nice evening with beautiful views and good service, but I’m not sure I’d go back. For the price, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations.

After trying fine dining in Bratislava at UFO, I decided to check this place out in Vienna since I kept seeing the ceiling lights always at night across the street at Schwedenplatz. Not only it was more expensive (because Vienna, duh 🙄) but the service didn't feel quite the same. Usually a wet napkin is provided at the beginning, before receiving your meals which was not provided and when I asked one of the waiters I received normal ones at least. Moreover, one of the managers and waitress was quick to see my dissatisfaction with the smoked leek dish since I had misunderstood what kind of dish it was based on a wrong assumption from Google Images (the vegetarian ingredients were messing my stomach). They were able to change my Starter to a beef tartare which was much better and I didn't get charged for the smoked leek (since I only tasted it a little). The rest was alright. For most people, I think that this place is usually more ideal for drinks. Moreover, I wish that they have implemented the food logos that you usually find in most restaurants in Vienna, that way it is easier to distinguish what kind of dish it is and what meat it contains. Maybe I will visit it again in the future and hope that my suggestions are taken into consideration 🙂.

Here for pre-Opera cocktails. Lovely interiors. I probably would’ve enjoyed my experience more with a glass of vino. I asked for a recommendation that’d be perfectly paired with the infamous cake. It was just way tooooo sweet to my liking. As for the cake, I’ve never had such a popular, world-renowned cake as dry as this one.

Accustomed to high-class hotels, I was very surprised that the waiters asked for a tip in a rather inelegant manner when it came time to pay. I was sad to see this type of behaviour and the fact that employees are manifestly underpaid. I remember from my many visits as a child that the Sacher used to be a luxury hotel.

My favorite cocktail bar in the city! Such a stunning and atmospheric place, with amazing drinks and Jacob being incredibly kind and friendly. We had a fantastic time, truly unforgettable!

This is one of my favorite places in Vienna to have a cocktail. Elegant, very small room in Sacher Hotel. Cocktails tend to be in the €15-20. They are delicious though. You're paying for the experience. Can vouch for both The Bees Knees and the Pornstar Martini.

the place is immaculate, but sacher cake is dry and hard, we couldn’t cut it with a fork, the chocolate flew out of the plate. cocktails were distasteful as well. we had french connection and blue negroni. but the atmosphere was gorgeous.

It was a busy Friday night and Valentine's Day but we were warmly greeted by the staff and given a spot at the bar. The service was kind, friendly and efficient. We enjoyed two drinks and a shot each. Each one was better than the last, but all so good! The atmosphere was lively and classy. They never stopped refilling our complimentary water and peanuts. The drink menu was elaborate but they make each cocktail with care. We really enjoyed the overall experience. Although it was pricey I would say for the special occasion and the premium service it was definitely worthwhile. We would like to return.

A really small bar that you might as well walk past without noticing but thankfully we did. The place was full when we arrived and we barely got served and by the time we left it was as packed as it could get. There was a good variety of all the classics cocktails but many signature ones that were really special. Definitely recommending the place for a drink or two

I’ve been to more bars than I can count — from hole-in-the-wall cocktail joints to world-famous speakeasies — and Kleinod is one of the very best I’ve ever experienced. The space is elegant without being pretentious, the vibe is dialed in, and the drinks are top-tier. But what really made the night was Conrad. Conrad is, without exaggeration, the best bartender I’ve ever encountered. I’m an amateur mixologist and former bartender myself, and I’ve never seen someone so effortlessly intuitive behind the bar. I barely had to say a word — he just knew what I’d love. Every cocktail he made was absolutely perfect — balanced, thoughtful, creative. His presence, pacing, and precision were just… next level. If you’re in Vienna and you love cocktails, do not miss this place. And if you’re lucky enough to be served by Conrad, settle in — you’re in for something rare.

This is just a really fun and friendly bar. The drinks are tasty and innovative, the staff super friendly, and a great soundtrack too. One of the nicest bars I have ever been in.

I went to Kleinod hoping to celebrate my birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The bouncer told us the place was full, and when we asked if we could wait or come back later, he instead suggested we try “the next Kleinod” 200 meters away. It was heavily raining, and as tourists we walked there only to discover there was no other Kleinod nearby just an empty alley. It felt like a dishonest way of turning us away rather than simply being upfront. I had really looked forward to spending the evening there, but the way we were treated left a very poor taste.

Liquid lunch. Great choice of beers, and a proper cider. Stowells Press (Weston's). Great indoor outdoor space. Great staff. Head man was actually Irish! Toilets very clean ! Private room. Update. Food. Cottage pie and steak and Guinness with veg. Top quality. Eating with German friends. Amazed at quality too. I would eat here again.! Great value great food.

Had a great time at Flanagan’s Irish Pub in Vienna! We had a cheeseburger and some beer—everything was really good. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, especially on a sunny day; it’s the perfect spot to hang out. The place definitely left a good impression. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a chill Irish pub in the city center:)

Fantastic steak sandwich with perfectly seasoned chips and great priced pints not too far away from some tourist spots. Affordable prices and great location was surprising to find but definitely appreciated. Will definitely check the actual menu prices for food, as online the prices were a few euros off, but €5 for a pint hard to beat.

The furniture (racks and bar table) are dismemberment from a bar in Cook, Ireland and transported here. What a passion! Good chat with barman. Very funny and nice man. He told me they spent a lot of effort to make the Guinness serving here are in the correct ways, fire example temperature....

Great concept, delicious food, attention to detail and a lovely team! Everything looks very neat, and the fact that you can see the kitchen from the outside really builds trust in the process. We chose the chef’s menu, which included several dishes, some from the regular menu and some off-menu. We discussed our allergies/intolerances as well as our time constraints (we had about 1.5 hours, actually a bit less). We were assured that the full menu would be served within this time. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to get through all the courses and had to skip one of the intermediate dishes. To their credit, it was removed from our bill without any issue. Still, the pacing was slower than expected, so towards the end we felt a bit rushed. That said, the food was truly excellent, and the service was wonderful, apart from the timing, which didn’t quite match our plan. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience and would definitely come back. I’d happily recommend it to friends as well. P.S: not all the dishes we had are on the pictures.

These guys are knocking it out of the park. Lively, super fun, inviting atmosphere. You feel like a member of the family. Cocktails- made by a master. Hands down, best tequila in Europe. Food is savory, flavor punch. All local, fresh. Terrific use of fermented flavor punch. High regards for the chef & kitchen team!!! Owners and waitsraff are attentive, fun and happy to serve you. Fun outdoor patio is hopping with late night diners. Highly recommend the 6 course tasting menu. Small plates, reasonably priced so you dont walk away feeling stuffed.

We had a great evening at Bruder. We opted for the 6 course chef's choice menu and it was amazing, inventive dishes, all with an interesting twist and everything was simply delicious. Longdrinks were also extraordinary and special. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Will definitely recommend this place!

Incredibly unique food. Each dish had a delicious modern spin on Austrian favorites. Highly suggest the Chef’s Tasting menu. We thoroughly enjoyed each dish. Our waiter Jakob was attentive, descriptive, and super friendly. He read the vibe perfectly and had amazing insights and suggestions. He also described in great detail each dish, and how the chef’s ferment, pickle, bake, and perfectly prepare each ingredient from scratch. Cool location in a beautiful alley! Cocktails were world class - expertly balanced with super unique twists.

What a gem! Found this place by coincidence and were blown away. Easily one of the nicest dining experiences in recent memory. We had the chef's dinner which is a set course menu with amazing dishes. A highlight was the options of a mixed drinks pairing. This was a fun twist on the usual wine pairing. They offered great cocktails but also interesting choices like home made kombucha. They generously fill your glasses so be prepared but you will have plenty of food so that's a safe combination. We especially loved the vegan oyster or the poppy seed udon noodles as a fun twist on an Austrian specialty. The place is cozy and dimly lit providing an intimate and lovely space for a diner for two. The staff was amazing and overall a totally inviting and forthcoming crowd. Definitely going to be back here.

10/10 experience. We got the 6 course dinner without the drink pairing, the food was super diverse and really fantastic- not just presentation wise but also in terms of taste. Though the place was packed staff were super attentive to us. Drinks came quick. We loved all the special flavors of sirups and fermented things they included. Honestly an overall fantastic meal.

Probably the best restaurant we have tried in Vienna. Usually it takes weeks in advance for reserving a table. We were lucky to have got a table when we put ourselves on the waiting list. It serves modern fusion Austrian food. There’s not a dish we didn’t like. Perhaps only the dessert is the least impressive dish. The tastiness of many dishes are enhanced with pickled and fermented products. Definitely it’s a must-try restaurant in Vienna if you enjoy gastronomy.

Unbelievably fantastic bar with spectacular service and amazing drinks. No menu, the bartenders ask questions about your preferences, or construct drinks based on your experiences. In my case, the bartender delivered exactly what I had in mind, based on the description of a memory of mine. The atmosphere is fantastic, perfect to go alone and acquaint yourself with others. The drinks are exceedingly expensive, in my opinion slightly too expensive. But, you get what you pay for, and it's well worth the experience. It's definitely worth a visit as it's probably one of the best bars in the world.

I really liked the concept of a speakeasy without a set menu. You arrive at an unmarked, inconspicuous door, ring the bell, and are welcomed by a bartender who lets you in. Once seated, you’re served popcorn and asked what kind of drink you’d like. There’s no menu — just be creative and say whatever you’re in the mood for. I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised.

Hands down the best bar I've been to in my life. No menus, just Gerry and his team who know what you need. Describe your ideal drink, that feeling you had when you first fell in love, a winter walk by the seaside and they will sort you out. Artisanal cocktail craft at it's finest. If bars had Michelin stars Tür 7 would have three!

Interesting concept; no menu and €25 per cocktail. The service was really nice, good music, and excellent cocktails. I’d love to come back on my next visit to Vienna.

The hidden location was nice, but wish it was more of a speakeasy puzzle vibe. The interior was nice and cozy and the bespoke drinks were truly bespoke and delicious. However, the price was a little steep. I do not recommend going with a large group. Maybe 2-5 people at the most. Staff was very professional and clever with their mixology and created truly unique drinks for each person. It was impressive how they shared exactly what went into each drink and how it was mixed for each person. Despite such a large group, the wait time was very short.

To your taste buds personalized cocktails, very comfy atmosphere, nice chatty hosts. This is not a standard bar but a very personal experience! I like. I come back!

It’s been lovable to be here and have good food and drinks along with food. Moreover, the people out there like Christian and Monika were helpful and we get the best services that we get from them. Hope to visit this place again not only for beer ‘Big Lake’ but also for them too. See you guys again.

The food was very delicious and high quality. It was presented beautifully and you can tell the chefs have great pride in their craft. We got the summer salad, chicken strips, and a smashburger (not pictured) The extensive beer menu is fun to look through and they have so many new and exciting options to try. I would recommend getting a flight to try many different types. We sat outside on the patio but it became a game of musical chairs trying to chase the shade and avoid the burning sun so if you do come I would recommend sitting inside unless you are fine with sitting in the sun. Our waitress was amazing, she was so friendly and helpful and made our dining experience so pleasant.

Super cool beer brewery with a great selection of special beers. We were pleasantly surprised from this place and its friendly staff. The beer prices are very much reasonable for craft beer and the atmosphere is fun’

A great surprise in Vienna! First off the service was great. There were two gentleman that were running the place, for Austria it was some of the friendliest people that hosted us. Professional, very fast and attentive. Second, food was very good. It seemed like they smoked the chicken wings giving them a Smokey taste. The salad was well prepared and when asked for Caesar dressing the pre tossed it for you. Burger was prepared good and was good but I was say a average but that might just be the meat difference between Vienna and the States, (from what I’m used too). Prices wedge very reasonable. They have a Monday night trivia night. The lava cake was excellent, very rich chocolate. Overall a great spot and I would definitely recommend.

Atmosphere and drinks are lovely. I had a burger that was too pink for my liking. They had no problem with swapping it and even let us have our drinks for free for the inconvenience. Really great customer service!

One of my favorite places after spending 7 years in Vienna as an expat. Great beer, great food, great service and the place is always very welcoming. Outside area is quite nice in the summer, inside gets quite cozy when the fall/winter hits. I would particularly recommend the pastrami sandwich and Sunny Days beer!

The service staff are great! That's how it should be! The chips were soggy, the burger buns were dry and crumbled quickly, and the smash burger patties were also rather dry, which suggests that the minced beef had too low a fat content. The beer selection is excellent, but the food quality could be improved.

Service quality: The waitress who served my table — and who happened to be from my own country — was particularly disappointing in attitude and professionalism. • Birthday handling: Even when my friend arranged a surprise cake, staff didn’t acknowledge my birthday at all. Didn’t even say happy birthday! • Management: From my perspective, the manager did not handle service standards well, which reflected in the whole experience. • Overall impression: Amazing location and views wasted by unwelcoming service, overpriced food, and poor leadership.

We had a wonderful experience at Onyx from the moment we walked in. The staff was respectful and attentive, and the food arrived in a timely manner with excellent presentation and flavor. The portions were a bit on the smaller side, but overall it was a very enjoyable dining experience. The views were worth it and they have a balcony on the side behind the DJ where they let us take more pictures. Highly recommend Onyx.

Hard to feel the atmosphere when being put in a corner like a child that did something wrong. The host was a joke, rude and full of himself.. Note that if you leave a reservation near the date of your visit of the restaurant you wont get a desired seat with a nice view of the cathedral. As he explained, people reserve it 2 months ahead of time and for that reason your reservation is worth less. You can still take cool photos if you walk up to other people’s tables 😉 Ps food is actually alright 👍

Wow, we had an amazing night here. Service from the moment we got off the elevator was spot on. Everyone was so friendly and professional. The service - amazing. The food - fabulous. The atmosphere - unmatched. Views - incredible. If anyone has anything bad to say about this place that's on them. Our drinks were never empty. The food was incredible. So grateful for such an incredible evening.

Although we went there with a reservation, we couldn’t get a near window table because we reserved the same day. But anyway, the view of this restaurant is fantastic and you can’t miss it. The food was high quality. I tried almost every sushi and I liked the spicy one. The salad was also creative and tasty. Shrimps and dumplings were also perfectly cooked. The staff were nice and helpful.

I would go here again and again!! Totally recommend. The view was beautiful, the service was on top and the girls that served us were the best. The sushi was freshly made and super delicious. You could even see them making it, so everything was transparent. A little expensive but for the place and quality i think its okay.

I didn’t expect anything exceptional in terms of the food; I just assumed it would be expensive because of the location. But I was genuinely surprised. The food was excellent. It is one of the happiest places on earth, perfect to spent an evening with friends or at the wooden bar (table) itself. Crafty signature drinks, good old bar classics and modern twists on those. In doubt what to choose, just ask the outstanding service personnel or the skillful bar tender. They know what they're doing, you can sit back and enjoy!

I’ve been there a couple of times already and really love the atmosphere and vibe. You can go there simply for an afterwork drink or for a casual date with someone. Staff was very friendly, especially the woman with short hair (unfortunately I don’t know her name).

To be honest, a bit dissapointing? The drinks were ok, but just ok. The vibe is inconsistent and feels outdated. The service is very nice, but prices - steep, outdated menu, serving tap water in soda stream bottles… not consistent with the menu and some other aspects. Menu should be refreshed both in design and drink selection, water should be served in something else, I think by the prices of the drinks and how full the bar gets that should be possible.

Unbelievable atmosphere, cozy yet uplifting. Cocktails are delicious, wonderful and super creative but surprisingly well balanced. A plus: the great attention to details in everything, from the furniture to the presentation of cocktails and longdrinks, to the rare stuff well dislocated all around the Bar. Suuuuuper super super expensive I have to say, especially coming from Italy, but it's got that special spark to it that legitimates the prices. Bringing free fresh water along with the drinks is something I had never seen and I really appreciate. 6 stars.

Funky and cool looking spot with an interesting background. Seemed great as a bar but definitely not a good cocktail bar which is what a lot of people advertise it at. Go for standard drinks and don't bother with the cocktails

Weird ambiance. Bar almost empty, no action behind the bar, cocktails basic. I do not recommend, there are some much better options around there. Plus star for the design inside.

99 colorful LED lights on the pitch-black ceiling can be controlled by the guests with a remote control. Another specialty is the “cocktail machines”; they were welded together from old flea market junk. Guests can pour their cocktails. Trendy bar with friendly service! Would definitely go back

Nice quirky bar built in a former brothel. They make excellent cocktails and have a good choice of fancy whiskey. Music is good, atmosphere is chill, it's rarely visited by others than locals. Watch out,this is a smoking place

In a city with lots of Irish pubs, this one was the best! It's the nicest inside and also has a nice covered sitting area out front. The staff were super friendly and service fast even on busy occasions. It's in a really nice part of town, near the Rathaus and the 'Harry Lime' house. Prices are great, and they'll try to accommodate you if there's a game you want to see.

Excellent friendly staff. We visited in a group of 9 persons during the day. The pub was almost empty and our orders didn't take long - i think it didn't take even 15 minutes. And all the food was amazing - the size, the flavors, and acceptable price :)

It's a good place to go, not the best irish bar I've been to, but it is well worth a visit. Reservation is recommended, especially at the weekend. When I visit an irish bar, and I've been to many, a bonus for me, is if the chips are homemade, sadly here, they weren't!!

What a find! A hidden gem! This place is fantastic, small, and oldest Irish pub in Vienna. I only found it as I look down alleyways out of curiosity- and saw the Guinness signs… I recommend a visit as it has so much character and items all over. Great pint also.

Can’t recommend this pub enough! I found it online and read that it’s small and gets busy quickly. We came about 16:30 and managed to get some space and then a table. The decor is very cool, good beer and very much enjoyed the Guinness. Reasonably priced too.

One of the smallest irish pubs in Vienna. When we arrived it was full and we had only one place to sit, so we were standing instead. I would describe this place as crowded, but cosy. They have lots of things on the wall and also everywhere 😃 a proper irish pub I would say. We waited a lot for just two Guinness, but in the end we had fun there. Recommend to visit this place if you want nice irish beer next to the center

Very cool pub directly in the 1st district. It can be quite crowded, so don’t always expect a spot to seat. Nevertheless, they have a great selection of drinks and half a pint of Guinness for 6,20€. The pub is filled with cool decoration and really gives a cozy vibe.

A lovely little Irish pub tucked right in the heart of Vienna. It’s small and charming, with slightly crooked walls that only add to its old-world character. What really stands out is their impressive whisky list, particularly if you’re into Irish or Scotch whiskies. You can usually order shots in 2CL or 4CL, which is great for tasting a few. Because it’s such a small place, it does fill up quickly, but that just adds to the lively pub atmosphere. Highly recommended for a casual, cozy drink.

What an amazing hidden gem. There is no name outside the door. We had to go through google photos to look at the door handle and compare. An interesting story about the place was that it was an old illegal jazz bar. Now, it is an amazing cocktail bar. They also serve bar snacks. Amazing and attentive staff, good music, friendly locals. I would highly recommend this place and go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for having us.

We went on a Thursday night as it opened. We thought we had found the bar for our holiday as the ambiance was amazing with candlelit tables and a massive bar. However, we ordered cocktails at insane prices which were incredibly strong and to be frank mine tasted of sick. The drinks menu didn’t offer much. Oh well I thought, I’ll ask for food. I asked and he said he wasn’t doing food with no explanation as to why. The service was very slow and you basically had to beg to be served and we waited 30 minutes for the bill. Quite disappointed really as the vibe of the bar was really nice.

Been a few times. I like the drinks and the vibe inside but the door staff tend to make a fuss. Asking if you have reserved then calling downstairs and asking if there's space. Then sometimes they let you go down and it's essentially empty with 3-4 customers. Last time they said we could come back and try again in 3 hours 😂 they like to play 'important'

I would definitely recommend a visit to this bar whether you are a local or tourist. The atmosphere was super cool and had a great vibe with tons of different seating areas with great decor. Drinks were delicious! I really enjoyed the Bollywood martini! It was one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. I would highly suggest having reservations because it gets quite crowded quickly. However, if you aren’t able to, try getting there around little before opening to see if they can squeeze you in.

Its a really cool place, tucked away out of sight. Shame literally every other aspect of it is a complete letdown Cocktails are combinations of incredibly strong spirits, which does seem to be common in Austria. To summarise they taste dreadful. I’ll not get further into that. The alternatives are poor at best. 100ml measures of wine for 7-9€ or two choices of bottled beers. What is the point? They seem to ‘sometimes’ do food if they can be bothered? What is that? Really unprofessional, either do it or don’t. You are looked at funny and often turned away if you try to order at the bar but its massively unclear as you will wait upwards of 15-20 minutes to be served when you sit down as there seems to be only one waiter at any time, so its an effort to try and flag him down if you spot him at all. Not to mention it’s really overpriced when you consider all this and the fact the toilets smell like something out of a car park is disgusting really. Looks good but give it a miss.

Really cool cocktail bar with speak easy vibes. The entrance is a bit hard to figure out and the bar is located on basement level with stone walls and arches. It is quite a big space with multiple seating areas and options. The music was very nice and not too loud. Cocktails were also really good. Friendly and fast service. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a cocktail.

Kleinod Prunkstück was a great cocktail bar, among the best I've ever been to. The space is trendy and sleek without feeling pretentious — just great energy all around, with good music and an upscale-but-fun atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I wasn’t sure what to order, but they asked about my preferences and made excellent recommendations. I started with the Honki Tonki, which was creative and well-balanced, and then followed with an off-menu whiskey sour with egg white, which was perfectly executed. Service, setting, and cocktails were all top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stylish and approachable cocktail bar in the city.

Great atmosphere for a well made drink but pricing is very high. Adding 3 totaling 19 euro to change from Tanqueray to Bombay Sapphire for a standard dry martini is borderline abusive The kibble is nice though.

Fabulous cocktails and we went on a Sunday evening so no wait. Best part was the service by a mile, we had Martin and Anur (I’m sure I spelled this wrong so please forgive me) but they were lovely to chat with. Excellent ambience. Would happily go again 🥂

I simply love it here!!! Best place to enjoy an afterwork drink during the week or even celebrate something on the weekend. Drinks are amazing, especially the bloody mary and moscow mule (but also all others that I tried). Great own creations of shots, too. Staff very professional and courteous.

Unfortunately I forgot the name of our waitress she had blonde hair she was amazing. I felt very cared for being there. After going there a few times I can say that the service is really amazing when it’s not super busy. The vibe is great but for me the highlight was the amazing quality cocktails. I recommend you to reservate a few days in advance to make sure you get to sit and come in cause it does get busy at nights.

This place is really beautiful and the staff was super attentive and fun. We didn't know what we wanted and the bartender took care of it, we got amazing shots and since there was some left he gave it to us for free. Place is elegant and expensive but one of a king.

This is what I like from a bar- modern, well designed, dimly lit with atmosphere and great cocktails. The decor is beautiful, I love the black and gold with the dim lighting and floral touches. The drinks menu is extensive and the cocktails are well made and original. Bar staff are flirty and helpful and it's a big space, so you're likely to get a seat. A good choice for an evening out.

Food and place are worth it. We had a nice time until we had that stressful encounter with the manager while paying. When we told the waitress we wanted to pay, she didn't ask if we want to pay together or separately(aside from that she accommodated us really well the whole dinner). She came with one bill and when we said we want to pay separately, the manager acted so stressed and we felt weird while paying. They almost doubled one of my friends bill from 160€ to 250€. Good thing she asked to repeat the calculation. Maybe they're just really stressed but they let us felt that too in the end. Aside from that, everything was fine. We enjoyed our food and drinks and just enjoyed our time there.

First of all the place is magic. The interior, terrace and view. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The food was excellent. There is a limited menu of dishes well thought through with high quality ingredients. The taste was perfect.

The Rosewood Hotel is one of the best and most expensive hotels in Vienna, with a fantastic location in the city center. On the roof, you will find the bar and restaurant “Neue Hoheit,” where we had lunch. The weather was warm for autumn, and we were able to sit in the garden on the roof. The atmosphere was accordingly good (Magic as another reviewer, Tamara, said) We had a Caesar salad with shrimps. The salad was prepared by the waiter right at the table, and we were asked about our various preferences. Even the preparation was a visually appealing way to get us in the mood for the meal. The salad itself, actually a simple dish, was fantastic. The anchovies and shrimp were of the highest quality and the dressing was perfect. Given the location of the bar, the prices were high but not excessive. Overall, 5 stars for the service and food. An absolute recommendation for any visit to Vienna!

Today, we visited the bar at Rosewood Vienna for an aperitif and were met with exceptionally friendly service. Afterward, we dined at the Brasserie, where we were warmly welcomed and seated by Leoni. Our table service was handled by Ricarda and Jamal, both of whom were incredibly friendly and assisted us in selecting the perfect drinks and dishes. The food was fantastic, and we had a wonderful evening. Many thanks to these three outstanding staff members—we will definitely be returning!

Very nice new bar in Vienna - you can make a reservation in advance, but not for the bar. That was kind of confusing when we arrived there. Special occasions can be addressed within the reservation process (like a birthday), but they did nothing special uppon our arrival, so I wonder why they ask? Nonetheless a nice evening.

Elegant interior design with flowers everywhere and nice table with clean cutlery. For breakfast you can choose either buffet for 52€ including all dishes on the menu or simply something from the menu. If I knew the portions were this small, I would have taken the all you can eat option. Great view over the first district is a plus! I would definitely come here again!

This place is very nice and has a truly authentic bar atmosphere. We visited three times. The beers were excellent, the Riesling was delicious, and the food was good. The Wiener schnitzel and sausages were tasty. The staff were fine, but the bathrooms were not very clean — that’s the weak point of this place. Overall, I recommend it for its good atmosphere and as a nice spot to enjoy classic Austrian food.

Really excellent beer, food options were decent. Food was tasty with reasonable prices, range of seating options (outside area, bar area and inside upstairs seating area). As it was a nice evening outside seating was packed, the bar area inside felt like more of a drinking place. Upstairs dining area was nice and calm. Service was polite and speedy.

We had lunch here today. We sat outside near the bushes, a very pleasant experience. The waitresses were very pleasant, and they worked very quickly and efficiently. The food was absolutely superb, and the wine and beer were wonderful. The restaurant is wonderful, and we'll definitely be back. A delicious Sunday memory.

This was an amazing restaurant as an american tourist. I got a little flavor of the south and has some baby back ribs. With some potatoes and coleslaw and absolutely fantastic beer. The vibes was nice, and the atmosphere was great. And the service was fantastic. They were open till 1:00am local time, so it was pretty great that they were open.

1516 is one of those places in Vienna that you keep coming back to—not for the service, but for the beer and atmosphere. The house brews are solid, with a few standouts you won’t easily find elsewhere in the city. The vibe is energetic, international, and always full—which says a lot. That said, the staff knows this place will be packed no matter what, and unfortunately, some of them act like it. A few waiters just walk past you, barely making eye contact, sometimes even purposefully ignoring you. It can be frustrating, especially when you’re standing there ready to order or trying to ask a question. The food? Classic pub fare—nothing special, but it does the job if you’re hungry while enjoying your drink. 1516 Brewing Company is a great Vienna stop — unfiltered house beers, hearty pub food, and a lively, cozy vibe. Our group of 8 shared menu items and enjoyed the beer selections on tap. We loved the the big portions. Perfect spot while exploring the city.

We liked this pub! The food was tasty, and a lot of choices of craft beer. Staff is nice and friendly. I have asked if they can charge my phone, and they accepted to help me. It feels like local, not too touristic place. Definitely recommend visiting 1516 Brewing Company. PS. If you have not know - 1516 is not the year when the pub was founded, but the year then the purity law was adopted, saying that the true beer could contain only water, barley and hops. 😄 Actually the pub was open in 1999! 🍻 Enjoy your beer! 🍻

They had some nice summer specials that were just right for hot weather- different salads. The fruit drinks were good and not too sweet. The service was good but slow- it took me time to get something I needed from time to time. But they are friendly and willing to serve. The apple strudel was good. It was worth getting. I have had better but definitely it was good. The whipped cream is not real whipped cream but it tasted good. I also like that the restaurant is at street level as that was convenient with my special needs son. The walls have posters of current and past things going on in the city. It is fun to look around and see them and see what this city puts together for entertainment.

Came here for the Apple Strudel, reach about 7.30pm. Still has few tables available, no waiting is required. The Goulash soup is nice. Apple strudel filling is fabulous but the sweetness level is slightly at the over sweet (as I prefer less sweet). One thing I recommend the restaurant is to install some fan to keep the air circulated or switch on the air conditioner, as we are sweating & most other customers also fan for air. Waiter told me tips is a must for this restaurant.

It’s a good place overall: the food was tasty and the schnitzel was really good: crispy and with a thin batter. That said, it’s a bit pricier than average. They seem to target tourists by automatically adding a 10% tip, and even tap water costs €0.80. Because of those things, it doesn’t feel like a great place to me. But if you don’t mind the extra charges, the food itself is definitely tasty!

We took part in a guided tour and our guide Michael recommended this place and because he was born in Vienna and obviouslyhas lived here so we followed his advice. Great atmosphere, awesome food and such a helpful waiter who patiently survived my basic German. We ate schnitzel, kartifeln, drank a lot of water and Wiener coffee. I can recommend it as well. It was worth visiting.

I came in around noon, had a breakfast maybe one of the best Eggs Hollandaise I've had 🥰 The staff are nice, the atmosphere is cozy and rustic. The authenticity of this place is a charm! They also have posters on all the upcoming events, good catch!

Kaffee Alt Wien certainly delivers on the authentic, old-school Viennese coffee house atmosphere—the setting is the best part of the experience. We were seated immediately and the server was pleasant, though not particularly warm. I ordered the Schnitzel to try the local fare. The preparation was technically correct (the coating separated, indicating hot oil), but the dish itself was unfortunately not that good and felt quite average. Given the quality of the meal, it's not cheap here. For the price point and overall value, I won’t be coming back again. Come only if the historic, non-touristy atmosphere is your main priority.

I tried the Apfelstrudel, but I didn’t like it. The apples inside were too sour, and the cream served on the side didn’t complement the dessert well. I paid €7, which didn’t feel worth it. The place was crowded, but we got a table without waiting. However, it was quite stuffy inside, and the atmosphere felt gloomy. Overall, it wasn’t an enjoyable experience.

Absolutely love the vibe of this bar. It’s so chic, but modern vintage. It’s a small bar tucked away in the center if the city. The cocktails are one of the best I’ve ever had. A definite visit if you’re in Vienna.

I haven't even left yet and this has been an amazing experience. It may be an "American" bar, but I'm from the US and have lived in some of it's greatest cities and this puts most of them to shame. Elegant and cozy decor w delightful glassware. Solid cocktails from the Dale DeGroff school of bartending. Charming staff and the snacks are a first class touch! Great location so if you are in Vienna and you miss this place it is a mistake.

When we walked in, they gave us (free!) ice water and (free!) small snacks. AND they have air conditioning in blazing hot summer weather. Cocktails were amazing, and bartenders really know their stuff. Coming back again tomorrow!

I wouldn't go there for the €17.00 cocktails. They are extremely sweet and taste very similar to each other for the two that I had. Plus, when I explained what I liked to the barman, he obviously didn't understand. Just like the waitress didn't understand, they couldn't really recommend a cocktail to suit my tastes. It makes me think they really shouldn't be working in an environment where they can't advise their customers well enough. However, the setting is very nice, the view is very nice. Maybe go there and order something standard like a beer or a wine and then you know what you're getting. I also had to work to get the attention of the server.

Staffs are not well trained compared to to other Andaz hotels in Asia or Middle East, definitely lacks hospitality training. But overall is a great place to hang out with friends or colleagues.

Stopped by around 10:30 on a Sunday night for a drink and had a really pleasant experience. The bar is located at the top of the hotel and has a lovely atmosphere—beautiful decor, a refined and elegant space that makes you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in. The service stood out as exceptional. The waiters were very attentive and quick to respond, always there when needed without being overbearing. We had some wine and a few cocktails. Their house cocktail selection leans toward lower-alcohol options, clearly designed more as aperitifs before dinner. Still, we asked for some classic cocktails instead, and the bartender did a great job preparing them. They weren’t anything groundbreaking, but they were very enjoyable and well made. Prices were fair for the setting, around €15 per drink, which felt reasonable considering the quality and service. Overall, a great spot to unwind in a beautiful setting. I’d definitely return and would recommend it to others looking for a relaxed drink in an elegant space.

Oh what a cool place to relax and have a nice brunch on a weekend… The ambience is so calming.. the staff is very helpful and kind.. We ordered a lot of food including fresh fruit smoothies, Shakshouka, Eggs Benedict, Avocado Toast, Coffee, Tea and so much more… Everything tasted good and you could tell the effort that went into the preparation of the food… The vibe is so chill.. very well lit and so much sunlight coming in… had a terrific time here…

Went here with my sister for dinner because it was highly recommended. We did not have any reservations and they were able to seat us promptly. The ambiance is absolutely stunning. It gives a classy and moody vibe. The food was ok but I was not blown away and the portions were small like most high end restaurants. I had a French 75 and the sea bass. I said to my sister, where’s the mashed potatoes lol. Otherwise it’s worth a try.

We were not wowed by the food, mostly because of the flies. Different types of flies swarmed us and other patrons during our meal in the main restaurant. At first, servers didn't believe us but eventually we were moved. The dirty flies still followed us. This left for a very unappetizing dinner. We ordered all sorts of seafood dishes and were not so impressed. The mussels were in a tasty sauce but the pommes frites were served cold and tasteless. The other seafood dishes were forgettable. Honestly, the best part of the meal was the bread and butter. The ambiance of the downstairs restaurant is very cool and chic, and the rooftop boasts a phenomenal view of Vienna, but the food is just fine and will have you wanting something more. I hope something is done about those nasty flies!

The restaurant has took care of every detail. It was busy during the dinner time. The music, lighting..decoration, service are good. The main course of beef cheek is amazing, the ragu pasta sauce is a bit sweet and salty. The low sitting and close distance between table next to each other may be the disadvantage.may be a little not very comfortable.

Starters impressed: the Figs au Gratin combined chèvre, rosemary, honey, and nuts into a warm, textured dish that felt both rustic and elegant. The vegan gazpacho was crisp and refreshing, a perfect counterbalance. For mains, the roasted trout shone with lobster butter, braised tomato, and sauce rouille — subtle yet luxurious. The grilled broccoli (vegan) with muhammara, cashews, and a wild rice croustillant was bold, flavorful, and satisfying. Finally can be said: A dinner at Chez Bernard feels like a quiet celebration — of flavor, atmosphere, and care. With its thoughtful service and well-composed menu, it invites guests to slow down and savor the moment. A rooftop destination well worth returning to.

Boullabaise (26€) was quite good. Bread & butter (included in 5€ cover) was absolutely excellent and delicious. Potato noodle dessert (13€) was homey & tasty as well.

The place is beautiful, and the burgers are quite good—juicy, flavorful, and well-prepared. They also have a nice selection of beers. The service was friendly but a bit disorganized, which could be improved. Overall, a great spot with good food and drinks.

Lovely Irish pub/sports bar! We were able to watch the woman’s football European championships here while we were staying in Vienna. We really enjoyed our time and topped it off with good beers and yummy burgers. Would go there again any time!

Great experience at The Shebeen Irish Pub! We came for food, drinks, and especially for the pub quiz. Even though it was a Tuesday (instead of the usual Monday/Thursday) and only four of us showed up to play, the quiz moderator still ran the game just for us — we split into two teams of two, and it was a lot of fun! The food was tasty, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Big thanks to the staff for making it such an enjoyable evening! We'll definitely be back.

Good burgers from rinderwahn, although not cheap but price / value wise quite ok, portions are a normal size, not too big not too small. good beer, friendly and attentive staff. All in all a good experience and better than expected. Will come again.

Very disappointed with this place. First, we booked a table for a pub quiz, but it was canceled, and no one even bothered to call us. They definitely had my friend’s number because he called to make the reservation. We only found out about the cancellation when we arrived. Second, we ordered bottled beer, but they brought us something completely different—cheaper draft beer—while insisting it was bottled. Only after we pointed out it was clearly not what we ordered did they finally replace it. No one even apologized. Third, the service was awful. I asked for a burger without mayonnaise and requested to swap it for barbecue sauce. They refused, saying it would “change the taste of the burger” (seriously?), and could only remove the mayo. In the end, they brought me a burger with mayo anyway. My friend also got the wrong burger. We had to wait another 15-20 minutes for the correct ones. And to top it all off, they blasted some annoying football match at full volume, making it impossible to enjoy the evening. Overall, a terrible experience. Never coming back.

Went there to watch F1 because I didn’t want to watch it alone at a hotel. Had a really nice conversation with the bartender. Totally recommend it.

This place is very underrated in Vienna I think… Ribs were cooked to perfection, fell off the bone. The wings are aswell very good here, with the sweet and sour sauce on the side. Proper sports pub with an individual room for pool plus dart boards. Very spacious to host large parties and screens in each room to watch the games. Their outside seating is aswell very relaxing. I would highly recommend this place if you’re coming with group or for a space to watch any games. Food and service was excellent.

First place we went to after arriving and needing a pint! Big, loud, fun and huge portions. We had great service! We ordered Caesar salad, wings, Debreziner (fav!) oh! And the Irish curry. It was way too much food but it was all delish. The wings are hella spicy though! Prices are so good compared to everything else in Vienna and it was exactly what we needed. The patio is massive Although we didn’t use it.

Great pub in the heart of Vienna. It's a sports bar/Irish pub, plenty of seating inside/outside, including a room with darts and pool. Food is excellent value for money, large portions, tasty albeit limited menu but plenty of choice for most tastes. Drinks are also varied, several local lagers as well as Guinness and Magnets cider, again, reasonable pricing. Service was friendly and relaxed, there was no sports on TV during the visit so cannot comment if service dips during busy times, but the place was full and staff all still seemed happy and helpful. So if in the area and wanting some relaxing food and drinks for a good price without much fuss, then this is the place to be.

Huge place with a nice outdoor area. Sport (rugby) was shown on many screens inside. Staff were friendly but table service was a little slow. Overall, a decent place to watch sport near the city centre. Food was good and affordable.

Amazing staff, beautiful and fun atmosphere. The veg nachos were amazing. We enjoyed watching the Arsenal game here and were able to bring our child with us!

I happened upon The Long Hall while visiting Vienna from Dublin, which has its own Long Hall pub in the City Centre. This one in Vienna is even better, authentic to the Irish pub idea but also very much a pleasant Viennese bar/restaurant. The outside seating is lovely, and the inside is spacious and comfortable. There's even a pool table in a separate room. Great servers, great beer, great place to hang out.

The prices and beer selection were incredible, one of the cheapest Irish pubs in Vienna. The food, however, was really bad. I recommend you just pop here for a pint and avoid having to order food. It gets really loud. There is a pub quiz on Tuesdays starting at 7pm, reservation recommended. Cash only!

This is a quit nice pub with the super tasty Guinness draft beer. Pinta is only 5.60 euros! Good price, friendly staff, clean facilities. Only cash is accepted, no payment by card. Food is not so good - better to eat in another place, here only drink Guinness. After 11 pm all outdoor tables are folding and if you want to continue to drink - please go inside to the pub, where no fresh air and stuffy.

Went to Johnny’s on a whim as we were waiting for our night train to Zurich. Hoping for some cheap pints we were not disappointed but found out too late it was cash only. The bloke at the bar let us grab the drinks and get the cash later. Had to go to a few atms to find a good one but eventually did. After hearing the story he not only found it funny but also threw in a couple jagermeisters for the hassle. Solid bloke, great pub. Would recommend 10/10

Awesome place! Came for a late breakfast and both ordered the traditional viennese breakfast & espresso. Great sized meal for the price and yum! Coffee not bad either! Food came very quickly. Great vibe about the place with lots of Einstein decorations. Loved the booth style seating.

The food was very tasty and portions are generous. Service is good but no personalisation and link with clients. Sometimes had to wait a little longer than needed for service. Great place to visit after visiting the Town Hall and Parliament area. Sachertorte was very dry. Iced coffee lovely.

What bothers me the most about a place is seeing it empty but with all the tables marked as reserved. We arrived and wanted to sit by a window, but they told us it was reserved. I mentioned that we would move as soon as the guests arrived, and eventually, they agreed. We spent about 2.5 hours with friends having beers, and clearly, the people who had supposedly reserved the tables never showed up — the place never even got full. At 8:35 PM, my husband arrived, and they didn’t want to serve him because they were closing at 9 PM. He asked if there was anything small to eat, and the waiter, very rudely, said they wouldn’t serve him as the kitchen had already thrown away all the food. They barely managed to serve him a glass of beer. Terrible service. We will never come back.

The decorations and attentikn to detail in this place is amazing... They have a good selection of beers and if you like science and know something about Albert Einstein, this place will blow your mind!

We arrived as a group of 18 people coming from a large nearby event. We went in, asked for seats, and explained that another group of about 12–15 people would be joining us. We didn’t know the exact number, since they were all part of a large organization and we had invited several people without knowing exactly who would show up. In the end, the first group was seated, we ordered, and then the second group arrived. Instead of 15, they turned out to be 20 people – which, in most restaurants, should be considered a positive surprise. They were given tables by the first waiter, but then another waiter came over, extremely rude and unfriendly, and asked the second group to get up and leave just because they were 20 instead of 15 as originally mentioned. We pointed out that the entire floor was empty, but according to this man, the simple fact that we had underestimated the number of people was unacceptable. He insisted we had to leave, claiming that other guests had reserved tables and would be arriving – yet when we left, as shown in the attached photo, the floor was still completely empty. We cannot understand this behavior. Perhaps he simply disliked us because we were Italians. We even tried speaking in German (some of our group are fluent), but he kept repeating that since we were more than the number initially stated, we could not stay. So despite the first waiter seating us, the second one forced us to leave, treating us extremely poorly. All this just because there were more of us than we first estimated – something that should make any restaurateur happy. Instead, this man behaved like a petty bureaucrat, inflexible and rude, and we were shown the door while the restaurant remained empty.

Lovely place. Firstly the name got us interested and when we got at the place, liked the old infrastructure of the place. Had been craving to try the authentic Chicken Schnitzel and it was yummy. Also the dark beer which was of local brand Kaiser was tasty. Must visit place and totally worth the price of what you order.

A little piece of the Outback in Vienna! What a find! Crossfield's has an absolutely amazing atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food we ordered was fantastic (the wings were perfect!), but the real adventure is looking through the menu. They have some wild options like kangaroo and ostrich steak! We weren't quite brave enough to try the grasshoppers this time around, but it's awesome that they offer a true Aussie experience. Highly recommend this place for a fun night out with great food and even better vibes. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we're in Vienna!

I visited the Australian Pub in Vienna and overall, the experience was positive. The environment was very welcoming and the staff were helpful and polite—something that always makes a difference in a good restaurant. The atmosphere of the place had a nice, authentic feel and was ideal for relaxed evenings with friends or family. The only downside was the food. Although the menu had variety and the portions were satisfying, the taste didn’t really impress me. For me, the food fell short compared to the rest of the experience. That said, the quality was acceptable and the drinks were very good. All in all, it was a positive experience and definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to enjoy a laid-back evening in a lovely setting. I’ll definitely go back and perhaps try different dishes from the menu to see if there’s an improvement. 4 stars from me, mainly for the atmosphere and service!

Charlie P's has a very nice environment and ambiance. The staff is very kind and the service was good. There are beer brands with different flavors. From the food, I recommend the parmesan cheese potato croquettes. The burger is not bad. A nice place to meet friends. I recommend it.

There’s no air inside - no fans, windows on one side of the building only, and a hot kitchen with zero extraction. Having a beer while standing outside is okay, but you’d better only be after a Guinness, because their craft options are water. We didn’t have anything to eat, so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt according to what I saw on others’ plates. The personnel is very friendly and happy to help in English.

Properly medium-cooked burger (and I rarely say that) accompanied by a delicious beer. Reasonable prices too. The service is awesome. However, I removed one star for the atmosphere because there was a table of 5 students playing some kind of board game, making extremely loud, screaming laughs, as if they owned the whole place. It would have been nice if the staff had asked them to be a bit quieter.

Spelunke was a bit of a letdown. The overall experience was just average—nothing particularly memorable. The food was okay, but it didn’t stand out in any way, especially considering the high prices. I found both the dishes and cocktails to be overpriced for what they offered. The dessert was especially disappointing, lacking the flavor and quality I expected. While the ambiance was decent, it wasn’t enough to make up for the underwhelming food and steep prices. Very good atmosphere inside, I sat outside.

My experience at Spelunke Wien was fantastic from start to finish! The atmosphere is unbeatable—cozy, rustic, and full of energy. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time, and their cocktail menu did not disappoint (their signature Spelunke Mule is a must-try!). But the real surprise was the food! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Whether you’re here for drinks, a meal, or just the vibe, Spelunke delivers. Can’t wait to return!

This dining experience was made so special by our fun and witty waiter, Simon. He was extremely attentive and made lots of jokes and entertained the tables. Now in the summer, nice terrace now as well, which is facing the street, but it has a nice atmosphere and you can’t really hear the traffic. I really enjoyed the drinks menu, which was great aperitif drinks. I also really enjoyed the menu in general. It had lots of classics on there with their own twists.

We ordered some drinks and each was 10 euros (Hugo spritz) was tasty but for this price you can order a good pizza in Vienna. As well, took them so long to attend

I've been to Spelunke a few times! Every time it was a different experience in a good and bad way. If you like a loud, cozy, club like experience with eating I can definitely recommend going there - even if only for drinks! They have pretty good cocktails, we tried their espresso martini! Their food is also very good but a bit pricey for the portions in my opinion. You have to get lucky with your waiter since I've had very opposite experiences. Once I got served by a guy which wasn't very nice about the fact that we only had one meal and drink and didn't leave enough tip in his opinion. The other guy on another evening was extremely nice and aware of our needs, he was so fun and amazing! I think you need to get lucky though! It's a bit tricky to recommend, I would say try it out and see for yourself!

Hottest venue ever! They have ZERO ventilation or air inside and they keep all the doors closed! My wife and I went to see Strung Out there on July 21st and it was about 33 degrees celsius (90 something fahrenheit) and the place was packed. In front of the stage is a separate room where there is seriously no air. It felt like a sauna and even the sound guy looked like he was going to die any second. To make matters worse, the woman at the ticket stand yells at everyone coming in and out to close all the doors. Mind you the doors only lead to the larger indoor bar, so it’s not like leaving the doors open would create more noise outside of the venue. Plus, there are trains passing overhead every few minutes anyways. I’ll give this place another chance because of the good shows, but if I have to suffer through that heat again I will stay away for good. Seriously, if you have to keep the inside doors closed for whatever reason, please invest in a couple of fans or something! It can’t be that expensive. Please dont be so stingy so that your patrons can actually enjoy your concerts instead of looking for an escape route the entire set. Or, just book much smaller concerts because more than 50 people in there and it’s an oven.

Small, hot, overcrowded with a lot of weird people. Toilets dirtier than in a football stadium. Old female bartender ignored my friend for 30min while taking orders from girls that went there 1min ago. Only good thing was the young female bartender on the other bar, she was the only friendly person in this place.

I am sure as a listener you’ve seen great bands play here but as a band/performer. Bring your own tech people. The sound guy is extremely rude and obnoxious. He yelled at us during sound check, rushed us, then my in ear mix was all messed up during the whole performance couldn’t hear myself. The sound tech at B72 are much nicer and honestly the venue is better too. If you’re going on tour I recommend them over Chelsea.

A cozy bar with friendly staff and large projectors to watch live football(soccer) games. There is also a separated stage room to watch and listen to live music. Not the best sound but definitely a great experience!

We read alot of “good” reviews on this place and wanted to give it a try for our last night in Vienne but it was a huge disappointment! The atmosphere was boring and the band was lame And there was barely anybody in the “concert” room. The entrance fee was too high for what it is and it got lowered 1h later when nobody was entering. Might be a nice place to get a cheap drink but if you’re looking for a fun night out it’s to avoid.

Love this place so much especially in the summer when u can sit outside and watch telly. They do show football thou in German which I kinda think is a let down but waiters are really friendly and service is quick. Fiver for a strongbow Apple from the tab is pricey but hey ho... I will come again and have been going there regularly

One of Viennas institutions 😃 Always crowded and popular with gen z /mil/x. Also language learning groups meet up here. Nostalgic decor, movie posters, bookshelves, wooden. What I personally don't get, though- is why does the music have to be so loud upstairs? We visited at around 8 on a Thursday, sitting next to each other and we had to scream to hear one another 😱 I noticed another couple on a date who were doing the same. There are already 2 TVs showing movies and a group of 20 somethings partying downstairs. Take the chaos down, and the hygge in!

Nice aesthetic, with bookshelves & movie posters on the walls. Negatives - although the place was pretty empty, I waited over 30 mins for a bang average club sandwich, which was impossible to eat because some creative spark decided to make it a leaning tower of club sandwich, held together with a stick.

Neat idea, but staff are unfriendly and bad at their jobs. We arrived and were barely seated despite many free tables and a small group. Drinks came quickly, but food took nearly an hour and was subpar. Fries were 50/50 burnt or cold, burger buns were cold, and simple substitutions like sweet potato fries for regular were forgotten but still appeared on the bill. Paying was its own adventure - again it was unclear if we should pay at the bar or if the check would be brought to us. All in all an unpleasant experience.

Stopped in because it was raining and they had some comfy chairs. Nice place but the food is deep fried from the freezer, and while our onion rings were tasty, the chicken was only just short of being burnt.

Very nice place to drink a cup of coffee in a nice and cosy place while working or studying. The staff is lovely and the golden latte was delicious 😍 Sweet potato fries where good, it’s a huge portion!! Would certainly go back to get some work done!

Terrible experience - my friend and I went there to get a drink before a bar crawl and were greeted with an unwelcome bartender who shouted at us to sit down and that we couldn’t order drinks from the bar despite there being absolutely no signage to that effect or table service being effected. My friend and I swiftly left the premises before being brought back on a bar crawl tour as one of the stops where that same bartender then shouted at the group that “was not happening tonight” on what I only assume to have be preplanned stop on the trip and organised in advance. This obviously then ruined the plans of a guided tour and ruined the night for many in the group. The group then had to leave the venue and only after our tour guide contacted management were we brought back in and told that we would get a free shot; when we got up to the bar for said free shot that very same bartender then rudely told us that we didn’t get a choice of what shot we would get. No one has allergies I guess. And then that any drink we would purchase would be in a plastic cup. The drinks were terrible, and inconsistent in quality. The service was consistently terrible and abysmal. Quite frankly that bartender was one of the worst customer service experiences that I’ve ever had. The experience at this bar was so bad that the tour then offered a free tour service for any of the people that were on that night. I might add that this was my birthday so would not recommend this bar for birthday celebrations.

I just stumbled across this place while walking around Vienna. I must say it is fantastic. The atmosphere is wonderful and for a beer, food and book lover there couldn't be a better place. The music playing is awesome and the staff are very friendly. This is a highly recommended place. I would say it is my favorite pub in Vienna!

Great ambiance. My favourite aperol spritz in Vienna. The portioning, taste and strength of the alcoholic beverages is amazing. While this place is quite pricey the taste, location and vibe make it all worth it. The food is good for small bites and the main praise goes towards the drinks. The food tastes very fresh and comes out pretty quickly. The fries were very good but the tiramisu had too much liquid and I could tell it’s been sitting for a while. However you must reserve as it’s usually fully booked. The staff can be a bit condescending and rude. It takes us a very long time to secure the bill.

The vibe of this place is impeccable and we had luck so we got in without a reservation. The drinks are so good and not light on the alcohol at all. We also had some food which was also very good. At the end when the bill came we got four shots of espresso martini which was just what we needed to keep the party going later. A very very cool place, pricey, but definitely worth it.

Lovely place. The only place where a campari soda is more delicious than anything in the menu. Lovely atmosphere but really bad service, could be a representation of italians or maybe the server had a bad day but definetly need to smile more and be more nice!

This place has the potential for more than 4.3 stars. The restaurant is nicely decorated with cosy and inviting outdoor and inside seating. Great place to have drinks but what really surprised me is that the food was actually very tasty. We ended up eating here a few times and we really enjoyed it. The problem is that it gets insanely busy and the service can be slow. Also, they separate the service per tables and only your original waiter will take your order. We flagged 2 different waiters that were going around free and we were told both times to ask our waiter. Our waiter was busy and it didn’t make sense for us that any of them could not take our order. You have customers wanting a while for a single waiter working both the outside and inside tables, if you are available, take the order.

Best cocktail bar with literally Best bartender in Austria (national winner). They serve amazingly delicious and creative libations for locals and tourists alike. Loved the vibe. Stayed for the drinks. I usually don't drink while travelling so I opted for a mocktail tasting. The drinks were tasty and really enjoyed off menu mocktails by the master bartender himself. Had the best seat in the house being able to watch him craft the drinks all the while listening to his knowledge of his craft. Would highly recommend stopping in for a drink or two. Grab a friend, loved one or just go in solo for a relaxing fun time at the best bar in Vienna.

Dark cozy cocktail bar with a nice range of offerings. Cigars are offered in house too which, depending on your preference, is either an added bonus or a distraction from the hyped aromatic cocktail line found on the menu.

A local and non-touristy place, with simply excellent chocolates. We didn't choose from the menu, the bartender made us cocktails as a surprise according to what we told her we liked. is relatively close to the Danube River. The prices were a bit hi gh but the ingredients were fresh, the service was simply amazing and the taste of the cocktails was wonderful so it was worth it. The place has good music and an intimacy that you don't find in many places. We are very happy that we were able to get there as tourists and are sure that we will come back. Highly recommend

We arrived late with group of eight people to a nearly empty bar and were immediately met with unwelcoming and inflexible service. When we tried to combine two nearby tables to accommodate our group (so we weren't all sitting on top of each other), a waiter strictly told us we weren’t allowed to combine them. Though the bar was mostly empty and the tables weren’t reserved, he returned multiple times only to enforce this rule and remind us not to place anything on the unused table. The overall tone was condescending and needlessly strict, which set an uncomfortable mood for the night. Despite our efforts to get his attention, the same waiter ignored us for about 15 minutes, walking past repeatedly without offering menus or even basic acknowledgment. When I eventually ordered a whiskey, my first choice was out of stock. I asked for a Macallan 15, which had no price listed, and was later charged €51 for a single pour — an excessive markup on a bottle of whiskey that's 150 euros. For a premium item like that, the price should absolutely be communicated in advance. The atmosphere was cold, the service unwelcoming, and the pricing not transparent. I won’t be returning.

Amazing bar with a cosy feeling and impressive aquarium background piece. Definitely worth a visit alone for the interior. The bar itself is somewhat hidden and you have to look a bit for the entrance. Like the name suggests it's on the first floor. One can choose a cocktail from the extensive menu. The cocktails are masterfully prepared and tasty (the prices are albeit on the pricey side). This bar is a must in Vienna for fans of cocktails and a nice anbiente. If you go on a Thursday they have live music (mostly Jazz and similar) that adds to the experience.

Loved the "homey" feeling of this small bar. Stumbled upon during halloween night by chance, went upstairs and we have not regretted it! The cocktails are delicious, 13-17 euros. It feels like a place for regulars, where everyone feels at ease. Barmen and waiters (smartly dressed 👨‍💼!) contribute to it, thank you for the warm welcome!

12 euros for a shot of Amaretto di Saronno, not a fancy drink. The place and the atmosphere are nothing that would justify the price.

It was one of the most unforgettable evenings of my life. A bar, found by chance in the center of Vienna, turned out to be a real gem with a wonderful atmosphere, professional service, high-quality drinks and cheerful staff, who take care of your positive emotions. I recommend this bar to everyone and will definitely visit it again.

Vegetarian food and whiskey, if this combination excites you then you shouldn'T miss this place. They have amazing vegetarian schnitzel. Their collection of whiskey is very impressive. But best of all, it is just a very friendly, cozy and warm place. Next time I'm in Vienna, I'll definitely pay a visit again.

If you are a whisky fan, and are visiting Vienna... you have to stop in here! Great Guinness, an unbelievable selection of old whisky that you'll struggle to find anywhere else. Vegan menu is also superb! Well done Rupert! I'll definitely be back.

My old local from 90's still going strong. Good vegetarian pub food, mostly vegan. Over 1000 whiskies and good beer. But most of all lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

Really an amazing find in Vienna for a vegan. Superb food, very friendly staff and a HUGE selection of whiskies. Literally thousands:) We had the vegan schnitzel with Rösti, just excellent, probably the best vegan schitzel I've ever had. Rupps is worth the marginally remote location.

Very nice place, the atmosphere was really good and the food was great. (We had the vegan goulash and a vegan burger) The prices were very good. If we had more time in Vienna we would have dined there again! :)

It's a rooftop bar located on top of Ritz Carlton Hotel. In my opinion it has not so clear view. Mostly roofs of other buildings with slight cathedral tower. It's a FCFS basis and usually long wait time around sunset. Service is quick and responsive. We had to wait for almost an hour to sit (and yes missed the sunset). Staff kindly offered complementary infused water to the waiting crowd. It's on a mezzanine on top floor with stairs so no accessible.

Went here during a late afternoon to have a whisky. The view is fabulous. Seating is limited but comfortably spaced out. And the service was 5 star. Generally, the experience is Ritz Carlton-esque, so you can expect a classy experience. To get here: you would go into the Ritz Carlton, and take the elevator up.

It’s a unique atmosphere just near the Stephansdom and beautiful city view. View is charming either with daylight or during the night. They are serving signature cocktails either very generous amount. We’ve booked a table at outside and loved it. However we couldn’t enjoy that much with a table inside because of the loud music and an unleash t smell of every single dish.

Extremely hard to find a table even during the week. They don’t accept reservations for group under 5. The staffs carry abit of attitude possibly because of the bar’s popularity. Everything else is good.

Staff are attentive and knowledgeable about their drinks. I asked for a sweet cocktail recommendation, they said they don't have anything sweet in the menu but can fix a strawberry margarita for me. It is really delicious and exactly what I've wanted. I later ask for something more refreshing and fruitier, they also manage to recommend me something I want. Drinks and services are top-notch. Got there around 8:30 pm. Just in time to catch the summer time sunset. The view is a bit meh though for a rooftop bar. Other than that it was a nice experience.

What an outstanding bar! My husband and I are savvy cocktail drinkers, and we immediately fell in love with Miranda. The place is beautifully designed, and the menu's graphic design alone could earn a 5 star review. The cocktails are tasty, colorful, and one of a kind. It's clear that the owners put a great deal of thought and soul into each creation. The staff is the sweetest and offered us a free drink as we left. We had the best time of our stay in Vienna, and time flew by as we kept ordering drinks. There will definitely be a next time, as Miranda now holds a special place in our hearts ♥️

When trying to find places to check out in Vienna, I knew I had to try this place seeing as we share a name. I was very pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed it here. They have a super cool and hip vibe going with very interesting cocktails on the menu. I tried the Beetlejuice and enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly and were wonderful. Bartender for sure has talent and knows how to make a drink. Glad a bar that shares my name is a place I’d recommend and go back to. Depending on your price point range for beverages though, this might not be the place for. It is still a cool, one slow sip drink place to stop in at.

Looking modest from the street, this place has quite a surprise waiting for you. The warm welcome from people inside, even as I showed up a few minutes ahead of time, was unbelievable, since the other bar nearby had turned us down. I got my drinking water, and snacks as soon as I parked myself on the bar stool. Chilled beer, and a cocktail for my friend, followed without much delay. Mr. Tilly @Duketilly and Ms. Berit at @bar_miranda were amazing hosts who made us feel the warmth right away.

What an amazing place and such a nice staff. A must go for anyone who is into cocktails. The unusual gin tonic is refreshing and pretty great. Staff was very patient and welcoming, and helped me order by explaining drinks in different ways. Also, ambience is great. Cool people, mostly groups. Latin music was playing, me encanto. 😍

Looks like they decorated that place in one hour. But hey I had fun. Not sure about the all the tipping nonsense. I know bars and restaurants usually expect ten percent. So not tipping looks cheap. Look I'm not a fan of tipping either but that's the way society works. Be happy you're not in California tipping 25% because the waiter makes 2$ an hour!

asked for two small beers got two large ones wanted to pay with card - cant because thats for 10 eur+ i aak for an extra beer, he declines and suggests me to tip to get 10 eur i say no and pushes me to tip 10 eur for two beers and bad service, highly unrecommend

Its all in all a nice place, a lot of tasty drinks and good atmosphere, but you should look out for the staff. It's not professional to charge guests more than they consumed/ ordered. So I would be careful if u happen to drink there. It looks like I'm not the only one with that story.

If you want to meet a more alternative laid back crowd then this is absolutely the place to come. it's nested in a very cool corner of the 6th district with lots of possibilities to dine before and continue drinking after. Great tasting Aperol for i think 5€.

The bar is not bad in general, but it'e the staff. They are robbers. It happened to us with this female waitress. As everyone paid for their drinks, she said first there are 4 more drinks open to be paid. And we were confused, as everyone paid for their drinks. After some time she said there are 2 more drinks open, not 4 anymore :) I mean, I understand that waitresses from third world countries do this, but please do it to people who are drunk, not to people who had just 1 or 2 beers. A friend of mine told me it had happened to her the same thing before at this place, so obviosly it was not a mistake, more like a tradition. I think they target people who seem as "tourists", even though we were not tourists but we were speaking English. That was an enough reason for this girl to try to get her extra money by robbing someone else. So, my advice for anyone who wants to go there is take care, don't try to look so foreign/tourist whatever. And best thing - pay immediately the drink after you order it, or just pay at the bar. Otherwise you may become an easy target for these criminal staff.

Affordable drinks but the barkeeper was begging me for a tip and was (typical for Vienna) because I didn’t open my 📱 Wallet fast enough. He was like “no tip” as I drew my phone. Also Marlboro cigs cost 1€ more there but at least you can buy them there after 7pm! It was 1am when I was there…

Loved this speakeasy bar! It took us a little while to find, which actually made the experience even more fun. The interior is stunning, the drinks are excellent, and the staff are super friendly. We’d definitely visit again!🍸

Cool ambience. Friendly service, always checking if we need anything. Music not my type. Quite a hidden location. Need to pass the eatery and go down the stairs. If you‘re hungry, you need to eat somewhere first (or at the eatery, for vegetarians) before going to the Birdyard, bacause they only have drinks.

This place is absurdly beautiful and all details are well taken care of. Service is fantastic, such that a different waiter knew exactly what drink each of us ordered. Cocktails presentation is pretty austere but the flavours were delicious.

You enter through the Eatery, their restaurant, and once you walk downstairs you get into the actual bird yard. You’ll notice, because of the giant bird paintings covering all the walls. It’s getting crowded quickly, and weirdly enough, emptying out quickly again. Just wait a bit and you’ll get a seat. The staff is very helpful, sometimes you get a free delicious shot to start you off, and the cocktails are anything but your standard fare. Overall it’s a nice idea, and the drink concoctions are tasty most of the time, unfortunately nothing really stands out. No crazy creative mixtures, not relaxed neither exciting atmosphere... it’s missing that special something, despite doing nothing wrong.

Warm atmosphere, nice people, good wine. Don't expect to eat here :D I was really hungry after a working day and it happened to me to find The BirdYard by case. The staff was astonished I needed two courses from the menu :D . I you're hungry better go and grab a kebab and then come here to enjoy the softest experience ever :D

3 Stars for the restaurant, 5 stars for the bar. The restaurant is a lot less cosy than it might look from the pictures. It's busy, loud, rather spartanic and the food - while good - is overpriced for what it is. The bar however is really nice with an upscale feel without being too expensive. They have a nice selection of known and special cocktails.

Rooftop bar with a nice terrace and a great view over the city. Very friendly staff. We promised our daughter to go out for ice cream,but it started raining. So although they didn't serve ice cream (only coffee with ice cream), upon our request the very friendly waitress took the trouble of making an ice cream cup with a scoop of vanilla for our 2-year-old. What a great service!

Five stars for the "surprise me" cocktail which actually comes with a little "show" (I am not going to spoil it for you). I was impressed, I appreciate the effort of the cocktail master. Keep it up! Anyway, the bar also boasts a beautiful view but has a limited choice of food on most days (only snacks) and the prices are in general quite high end. Overall, a nice place for a special occasion.
