Notable street
Graben, an ancient street in the heart of a historic city, dates back to Roman times when it served as a defensive ditch for the Vindobona military camp. Over time, it transformed into a bustling marketplace and residential area. Notable figures like Mozart once called this street home. Today, Graben is known for its vibrant retail scene and ornate historic buildings. Visitors can explore nearby attractions such as Am Hof square and St.
The Graben Vienna is an exclusive and pulsating shopping street in the heart of the inner city with a plague column. There's so many hot spots and tourist areas around here, renowned restaurants, and many stores and historic places.

Graben is super busy but has everything you need—shops, cafes, and that lively city vibe! A must-visit spot for shopping lovers.
Alona S — Google review
First time in Vienna, very impressive but the place very crowded
Urszula ( — Google review
In Vienna, this the most important street to visit and walk along the luxury brand shops.
Ai C — Google review
Such a lovely, lively and posh street right in the heart of Vienna. The buildings are absolutely beautiful - stunning architecture everywhere you look. The street is lined with high-end shops like Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and Prada, and the Louis Vuitton building in particular is especially gorgeous. When we visited, there was live street music playing, which really added to the atmosphere and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s the perfect place to stroll, take in the sights, do a bit of shopping, or simply relax at a café. And it’s just a short walk from St. Stephen’s Cathedral, so it fits easily into a day of exploring central Vienna.

Can be very busy, not just with people but loading trucks during weekday morning, still impressive though.

Dorotheum, established in 1707, stands as one of the oldest auction houses globally and specializes in fine art and jewelry. It is renowned for its exceptional collection of rare jewelry pieces spanning from the art deco era to modern times. Housed within a captivating old palace, the auction house offers an ambiance reminiscent of a museum where visitors can purchase showcased treasures.
The auction house, housed in a charming old palace, resembles a captivating museum where visitors can buy the showcased treasures. The opulent ambiance and diverse collection make it a unique blend of history, luxury, and the excitement of acquisition—an enticing destination for those seeking a touch of the past with a contemporary twist.
Arnold L — Google review
The selection of previously owned items is sparse. No enough live auctions! Too much focus on on-line sales and mass produced new merchandise. The Kundendienst dept. Is superb! The building itself is worth a visit!
Denise N — Google review
Best coffee stop in Vienna. Away from the crowds. Lovely staff. Beautiful building. An auction house with lots of fabulous things to look at. Highly recommend.
C B — Google review
My review isn't about the Dorotheum as an auction house, but as a museum. As a tourist in Vienna, I didn't have time to wait for the auctions or participate in them, but upon entering this magnificent building, which I thought of as a luxury hotel, I discovered it was actually a... museum. And what a museum! If you have enough time in Vienna, I highly recommend spending some time here; it fully deserves its place in the top 10 attractions in Vienna. It's almost a must-see in Vienna. Just take a look at the photos. Btw, it is free...
Dan M — Google review
Imagine that you could visit a museum where everything displayed is on sale. Well this is Dorotheum. You can buy watches (I own one from them), paintings, furnitures, jewelry, porcelaine, etc. This is a fantastic place. They have a very nice cafe, and depending on the day service could be great or regular. In my latest visit to Vienna I experienced both. In any case, they have delicious cakes, so you can satisfy your sweet tooth.
Teddy A — Google review
I have bought and sold at Dorotheum several times in the past, until I brought in a somewhat rare watch for appraisal and encountered a very arrogant “expert.” I can understand that, in the relatively small Austrian market, such a watch might be difficult to sell and therefore rejected for auction. However, an uneducated and unprofessional remark such as “If it was bought in Japan and comes without papers, it is fake” has no place in professional communication. For the record, I later had the watch appraised elsewhere and, as expected, it turned out to be original.
Michal K — Google review
A temple among the Auction houses. The place is impressive, the collection is amazing. Amazing paintings and pieces of Art. Worth visiting! Absolutely.
Emanuele T — Google review
I love the Dorotheum for the art on display. Savoury food at the Zcafe needs improvement and toilets are not disabled friendly at all unusable in a wheelchair

One of the best charity shops in Vienna with books, clothes, furniture, and kids’ stuff. 🌱 The membership card gives you 5% off purchases. Prices for clothes aren’t always as cheap as expected, but it’s still a great store supporting a good cause. Solid 8/10.
Marcelondree — Google review
Very big store that has everything. It hit or miss like in every second hand store. I feel that the prices for clothing and shoes are too high. Sometimes it’s like buying new things on sale. But it’s in most secondhand stores in Vienna.

Cool place full of second hand treasures as well as rubbish. Some cool cringe stuff from the past decades. Dollhouse, Lederhosen, old school china and books and vinyl.

Heaven of brands
Andreea O — Google review
By far, the best shopping spot in all of Europe. Best shopping spot anywhere — except for Tokyo. As I entered one particular luxury spot, I was a socialite in a Candace Bushnell novel, prim and proper in my casual chic outfit and signature handbag, my hands linked over my lap as the salesman clasped a necklace with tiny sparkling gemstones around my neck. It was the experience that made it special, not the brands and labels. Downsides? It’s crowded, and it’s losing its historical appeal with each enhancement. Hope it doesn’t. I long for this beautiful city. I mustn’t forget: Vienna waits for me.
Mini G — Google review
Nice with a good variety
MRA T — Google review
Nothing against the luxury brands that took over this part of the city. Many of them make fine products and I don't begrudge them the excellent retail locations. However, the way they remade this section of the historic "Innere Stadt" is a horrible, generic, mall-like atmosphere completely devoid of humanity or soul. If you look on the opposite side of the street, you will see what a nice place looks like. The "Golden Quarter" (also, cheesiest name ever) just looks like some Vienna-themed shopping centre in the airport. One star, would give it zero if I could.

Vintage clothing store
FLO Vintage - Nostalgic Mode - Ingrid Raab is a renowned vintage boutique located in Vienna's 4th district, near Naschmarkt. It offers a carefully curated collection of women's fashion and accessories from the late 19th century to the 1980s. The store features iconic pieces from well-known designers such as Prada, Gucci, Chanel, and Valentino at reasonable prices.
An absolute gem! Was greeted by the gentleman owner of the shop, he has such a pride about what he sells and his business... And for good reasons! The selection of clothes, shoes and accessories is just precious. It was great to have such happy interaction with the shop owner which sometimes may lack in our fast fashion era.
Shanti G — Google review
Make sure you are ready for a quiz when you step in. I was asked where I was from, exactly where, then if knew what kind items the sell, then if I knew what vintage means. I smiled politely and said if I found something I liked, I would ask more about it, but then I was asked again what I thought vintage means. I wanted to shop, not test my knowledge. At that point I decided to leave since it was clear I was not wanted as a customer. Very disappointing.
Karla N — Google review
Incredibly rude lady/owner. Watched us intently the entire time me and my friend were in the store and was incredibly demeaning - potentially racially motivated? Left soon after because she was so hostile to us and basically called us stupid. Come here if you support this form of treatment to people! Otherwise there are many other lovely vintage stores in the area. ——— Here was their response to my review. Let me point out 3 blatant lies from the business owner. 1) she was in the backroom when we entered and when she came out she did not say hello or greet us. She just glared at us as if our presence (BARELY) touching the clothes, because we understand the delicacy of vintage clothing, was a nuisance to her. 2) we were NOT carrying sweet drinks or sundaes (what?!) why would we bring open lid drinks/food to a clothing store? Maybe water, in a closed bottle?? It’s not our first time at a clothing store… 3) she did not politely ask us anything, she said in a hasty tone: “BE CAREFUL” and pointed to my water bottle. So i stepped away from the clothing, i was like 3 feet back from shelf - respectfully! I was not mad or upset at her at this point, only thought was that maybe she was ultra sensitive about my water bottle.. exploding?? I waited for my friend to continue looking. Then 5 seconds later she shouts at me, “DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOTHING?” I was appalled at her tone. Never in my life have I had come across such rudeness in my life, only perhaps in a case of racism. Anyway, she seemed to be really ticked off that we had entered shop in the first place. At this point it was clear the only thing that would get her to stop from being so hasty and targeted was to leave.. like what was I supposed to do? I had stepped away from all the clothes right after she told me to be careful with my bottle, the only place that would’ve satisfied her was probably out the door. But she didn’t give me any further instruction. She just implied that i was stupid by shouting “DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOTHING.” Both me and my friend were so incredibly appalled we were quick to leave. I never leave google reviews in my 10+ years on this platform. But this case prompted that.
Nats — Google review
We discovered this place by chance in 2018 and visit it every time we're in Vienna because it has the best (unique) vintage items. Items are not cheap (not for bargain hunters). Husband and wife are very friendly.

The BEST Vintage in Vienna!! If you are looking for unique and memorable pieces, FLO Vintage is your store!! The owners are so genuine, knowledgable, and friendly. I bought a vintage wedding dress and it made me feel as if I was getting a special piece of history to cherish and add memories to. 10/10 recommend visiting this gem!!!

If you're a fashion enthusiast visiting Vienna, make sure to stop by Bocca Lupo, a luxurious second-hand boutique that boasts three locations throughout the city. This treasure trove is filled with an exquisite selection of vintage designer pieces from iconic brands like Prada, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. Each item is meticulously checked for authenticity, ensuring you’re investing in genuine luxury. The atmosphere at Bocca Lupo is inviting; you can browse at your leisure while friendly staff are available to offer advice if needed.
UPDATE: I went again, and this time, the experience was really, really great: The atmosphere was wonderful, everyone was in Christmas spirits and I was greeted and helped right away. I found 2 beautiful bags that day. Will definitely return in the new year! Precious experience: A charming but slightly bizarre experience: When I entered the shop, there were several elderly ladies gathered around the counter, having coffee and chatting amongst each other. When I smiled and greeted them, they profoundly ignored me, as well as the other customers. Left to my own devices, I had a quick browse around the shop. The items look quite interesting, so I will likely go back there and try again.
A.E. P — Google review
A beautiful, large shop in the 1st district. Loads of designer brands ! Chanel and Louis Vuitton competing for a spot with Dior, Valentino and many others. The prices are quite high ,as is to be expected but the quality is good, especially for second hand items. This place is worth a visit if you love high end fashion. You might even find a bargain or two. There are some real gems , we saw two Birkin bags hiding among the lovely things.
Eva M — Google review
Very nice luxury vintage shop. We were pleasantly surprized that the man at the counter answered us in French (as we are from Quebec). Great selection at relatively reasonable prices (considering that they sell brands like Chanel, Hermes and LV).
Marc-Andre L — Google review
Went to buy a birthday present, sunglasses or shoes or a small bag -- but the owners were 100% disinterested in serving us, they were busy doing there bookkeeping or such. So ok we left and bought something else at the Lagerfeld store. Also, most of their stuff is quite ... well, for the very conservative woman, aka, most items are a bit dull. Also, many items are terribly overpriced - like the sunglasses, I mean, i can get those for 30% of their price on vestaire or vite. So, I am sorry, but I personally cannot recommend.
Liz V — Google review
The shop is operating under their own rules, without taking care of the laws or simple customer care value and standards. After some time, without duly informing the customer, they destroyed the goods which they were given for selling (meaning the customer could not take back the goods, which were given them for selling).
Yulia S — Google review

Hat shop
Mühlbauer Hutmanufaktur seit 1903 is a cherished gem in Vienna's rich tapestry of tradition and craftsmanship. Established over a century ago by Julianna Muhlbauer, this iconic hat shop began as a modest venture in the city's north before relocating to the prestigious first district. Renowned for its exquisite handcrafted hats made from premium materials, Mühlbauer seamlessly blends classic styles with contemporary flair, making their creations essential for the fashionable Viennese crowd.
I had a fabulous shopping time here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I think I can easily stay here for hours and hours as all the hats look absolutely amazing! I purchased two lovely and unique hats. A lot of people have asked me where I got them from. I can’t wait to travel overseas with them.
Ayami K — Google review
Lovely staff helped me pick out a few hats for myself and my wife - even though she was on the other side of the globe. So helpful and patient, and the products are famous for a reason. Such great craftsmanship. Thank you ladies!
Chris S — Google review
If you have even the faintest interest in hats, you owe yourself a visit to Mühlbauer. It's a real treat. They have an incredible selection that pairs tradition with innovation. Service is very friendly and knowledgeable. The hat I wanted wasn't in store in the shop at the Seilergasse (what madman wants to buy a felt hat in the middle of a heatwave anyway?) so they arranged for me to pick it up in their second lovely store in the Neubaugasse. I'm already looking forward to the cold weather.

Excellent place to buy clothes, have a wine or Aperol Spritz, walk around, and for ladies I recommend the BIPA store, they have awesome fragrances, affordable prices and endless variety of perfums, cosmetics, accesories and more! The service is excellent!! Will come back and buy from there instead of Duty Free

The store showcases quality food from its own range as well as premium Austrian companies. Visitors can also purchase Meinl's iconic coffee mugs and coffee tins featuring Klimt designs.
Very expensive fancy food shop. The range of product is very wide, from all around the world but the prices are higher than in normal supermarkets (ex. local ones). The service at cash was unnice.
Marta S — Google review
Worth a visit—offers really high-quality, though high-priced, goods. Great spot for finding gifts for special occasions. However, it felt wasteful that they used two bags for every customer. Why not have more practical, sturdy bags that can hold heavy items and just use one instead?

Donau is a great place to shop , it offers a wide range of services and has plenty of nice restaurants and shops around. The area is clean and beautifully designed, making it a pleasant place to spend time. However, the restroom area could be improved. It wasn’t very clean, and there was an unpleasant smell from the entrance walkway. If that part gets fixed, it would make the whole experience perfect.

Flea market
Riesenflohmarkt Wienerberg is a sprawling open-air flea market that takes place every Sunday throughout the year. Located in the parking lot of the Merkur supermarket on the outskirts of town, this weekly event has a local community feel. Visitors can browse through a diverse array of secondhand, vintage, and antique items including household goods, clothing, toys, and furniture. While some items may be damaged or unusual, diligent rummaging can lead to discovering hidden treasures at affordable prices.
So many random things 😂
EDO D — Google review
The flea market is okay for a Sunday stroll. You really have to search to find really good items and with €20 capital I found quite a few good things. my particular highlight was the folding opera glasses. What I find rather stupid, however, is that it's a flea market and the haggling is what makes it fun to browse, but unfortunately many people haven't understood the concept and if I want a fixed price, then I'll add another euro so that I can bargain for that one euro.

Vienna’s biggest flea market, but a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, you can find everything from vintage fashion and paintings to games and antiques. 🎮 It’s open every Sunday from 6:30 AM–1 PM (and also on holidays between April and October). On the downside, it gets very crowded by 9/10 AM, many sellers aren’t flexible on prices, and the atmosphere can be a bit unfriendly. Worth visiting if you like treasure hunting, but be prepared to wake up early!

Nice place to visit Sundays mornings and search for good flea market offers. Some of the expositors are there every Sunday and a lot are not friendly and don't like to bargain, what is bad in a flea market. Others believe what they have to sell are precious art and ask for unrealistic prices but overall, you always can find good deals.

Bucherer is a renowned shop that offers a wide range of high-quality watches and jewelry brands such as Rolex, Gucci, and Patek Philippe. The store features an in-house goldsmith studio where exquisite wedding rings, necklaces, and earrings are crafted. Additionally, they provide repair services for watches and jewelry pieces. Customers have praised the friendly and professional staff who offer exceptional customer service. Visitors have highlighted the impressive selection of timepieces and the expertise of advisors like Mr.
My wife and I visited this lovely store, and were greeted by a very friendly staff - Yannik. He patiently showed us several watches that were on display at the store. We ended up buying a watch and a very special ring. His colleagues helped to handle the watch adjustments and duty-free papers past their normal working hours. Wonderful experience! Looking forward to visiting them next time.
John L — Google review
My recent visit to the Bucherer store in Vienna, Austria was a profoundly disappointing experience. With a reputation for luxury and exceptional service, I had high hopes for my visit. However, I was met with a level of indifference from the staff that was truly astonishing. From the moment I stepped into the store, it was apparent that the employees had little interest in assisting customers. While browsing the impressive collection of timepieces, I found myself repeatedly ignored. The few interactions I managed to initiate were marked by a distinct lack of enthusiasm and knowledge. I have had the pleasure of visiting numerous high-end watch boutiques around the world, and I can confidently say that the service I received at Bucherer Vienna was unparalleled in its poor quality. It's a stark contrast to my previous experience at a Bucherer location in Italy, where the staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Given the brand's reputation and the price point of the watches on display, one would expect a significantly higher level of service. I was truly astonished by the unprofessionalism exhibited by the Bucherer Vienna team. I cannot recommend this store to anyone seeking a luxury shopping experience.

I had amazing experience with Salco (assistant) in this store! He made the great, full of jokes service for me. I highly recommend to make appointment with Salco to have wonderful emotions! ✨🥂
Sofiia K — Google review
Helpful personnell and a large assortment of watches. Always a great experience. Rolex watches can only be purchased via waiting lists and they usually have nothing in stock to sell on the spot. Definitely recommended if you are in the market for watches and jewlery.
Emanuel T — Google review
Absolutely disgraceful experience. The staff here clearly discriminate against Asian customers — rude, dismissive, and outright disrespectful. The difference in how they treat Asians compared to others is shocking and unacceptable. No one should ever be made to feel inferior because of their race. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to experience open racism in 2025.
戴聖禮 — Google review
I had an appointment today at 10:00 am , but I was very disappointed, the Asian lady AD whom (I am also an asian) I spoke with, was not professional, just approached me like as if I can't afford anything there. Plainly asked "what do you want"? No sir no nothing, offered nothing zero competence. She was surprised and don't have any knowledge of my appointment. I felt really bad should have cancelled my appointment. I know the system that it's not easy or even sometimes not possible to successfully purchase a watch from Rolex but since I have saved money I was very excited to try my luck! I am ready to hear that I would be in waiting list but the way I was treated (not entertained) as a customer that's what made me not to come back to Bucherer 1010 Wien anymore . Hope you woul put more respect and importance to your customers who admires your product. Thanks

Schönbrunn Palace is an 18th-century summer residence that offers tours of its opulent rococo ceremonial rooms and lavish gardens with a maze. The palace boasts beautiful Baroque and Neo-Classical architecture, reflecting Vienna's rich history as the town of Habsburgs and Maria Theresa. It is Vienna's most visited attraction, featuring 45 luxurious state rooms, ceremonial halls, and private apartments once inhabited by Empress Elisabeth and Emperor Franz Joseph.
Gorgeous place to visit- bring a coat if going in the winter or fall as it can get chilly. Recommend buying tickets ahead of time and just walk to the front of the palace to enter- audio guides can be procured upon entry. If you have kids- there is also a small zoo, and a playground in the garden maze area.

We had a wonderful day exploring Schönbrunn Palace and its beautiful gardens! The place is enormous, so expect to spend almost the entire day walking around, discovering its stunning architecture, elegant interiors, and rich history. There are plenty of benches outside where you can rest, have a picnic, or simply people-watch. The gardens are incredibly lovely and very well-maintained, and the entire area is so organized that you’ll enjoy exploring no matter which part you visit. There’s also a children’s museum, zoo, mazes, cafés, restaurants, and more! We especially enjoyed the short hike up to the Gloriette for a breathtaking view of the palace grounds. A definite must-see when in Vienna!

I was only outside as I was interested in thr Christmas market . There were alcohol free options and vegan as well. Market entry was Free, however, the special light garden git an try fee of 24 Euros , 99 percent wheelchair accessible. There was one feature where to see fully you had to go upstairs, otherwise everywhere you could roll.

It was my first visit to Schönbrunn Palace in 47 years, and its magnificent scenery was as wonderful as ever as a symbol of the Habsburg dynasty. The lavish decorations inside the palace and the splendor of the gardens are as magnificent as ever, demonstrating the majesty of a World Heritage Site that is worth revisiting. Walking around the vast gardens, I was reminded of its grandeur and splendor. The splendid decorations and paintings inside the palace are also worth seeing.

You need to explore all the places so a classic plus ticket is recommended for 75 euros, this will cover all the gardens, zoo, terrace, and the palace. This will be a long trip and you need to rest between them so I'd recommend to start your trip at 10 a.m. to finish it at 5 p.m. I strongly recommend to buy your tickets online becuase there was a very long line. I will leave you with the images to rate the experience 😊

Must visit experience with good audio guide cost included in the ticket. The beautiful gardens beside the palace add to the charm of it and the grandeur of the palace is amazing. We had a great time at the Christmas market setup right outside the palace in early November.

This spot is heaven on earth. I was excited to catch the early Christmas market in the palace gardens, so many great food stalls and adorable Christmas goodies shops! The evening ambiance with all the lights was simply stunning. A truly enchanting and memorable experience.

The Palace is absolutely stunning! The architecture is magnificent, and the gardens surrounding the palace are beautifully designed and very spacious. Walking through the grounds, you can enjoy fountains, sculptures, and perfectly maintained flower beds. The area around the palace is full of charm and offers great spots for photos. Visiting Schönbrunn Palace is a truly unforgettable experience and a must-see when in Vienna.

St. Stephen's Cathedral is a medieval Roman Catholic place of worship in Vienna, Austria. It features an ornate spire, catacombs, and a treasury museum. Visitors can explore the cathedral to admire world-renowned works of art and church utensils for a fee. The catacombs house the remains of Austrian emperors and are accessible only to guided tour groups for an additional cost.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We visited St. Stephen’s Cathedral over the weekend, and it was such a beautiful experience. The architecture is stunning — Austria really knows how to blend modern and classic styles. You can feel the history, yet everything around feels fresh and vibrant. The cathedral is surrounded by modern buildings and high-end shops, creating a unique mix of culture and lifestyle. One thing I really appreciated is that entry to the cathedral is free, which is rare in Europe. You only pay if you want to go up to the tower for the panoramic city view — and the price is quite reasonable. Children under 10 enter for free, and kids under 18 get a 50% discount. Overall, everything in Austria feels very clean, safe, and well-organized. We really enjoyed our time here and definitely recommend visiting St. Stephen’s Cathedral if you’re in the city center.
Theavy — Google review
St. Stephen’s Cathedral rises like a medieval stone heartbeat in the very center of Vienna. Its Gothic spire, ribbed vaults, and stained-glass windows aren’t just architectural flourishes; they are the city’s compass and heartbeat. Every street in Vienna seems to spiral outward from here, as if the entire city were built around prayer. Inside, the air feels thick with centuries of pious devotion. The flicker of candles against cold stone, the scent of wax and incense, the hush of travelers and locals alike; it all combines into a kind of living liturgy. The cathedral isn’t just a monument to faith; it’s a place where belief, art, and history intertwine. Every carving and arch seems to whisper the same message: beauty is one of the purest ways to praise God. On Saturday evenings, when the bells call the faithful for the 7:00 PM English Mass, a golden light fills the nave as the sun sets behind the stained glass. Tourists pause, locals kneel, and the choir’s echo mingles with the organ’s thunder. It’s a deeply human moment, both intimate and grand — a reminder that Vienna’s soul is not found only in its cafés and concert halls, but here, in this cathedral that has watched over the city for nearly 900 years. A must-visit not just to see, but to feel. St. Stephen’s doesn’t merely stand at the center of Vienna. It is Vienna’s heart.❤️ Christmas celebration in full swing outside of the cathedral.

I visited St. Stephen's Cathedral from the outside, and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. The architecture of the cathedral is impressive, and the streets and squares nearby are full of charm, cafes, and shops. It’s a perfect spot for sightseeing and taking photos. I really enjoyed walking around and soaking in the lively atmosphere of the area .
Saeed B — Google review
This cathedral is absolutely stunning. The architecture, both inside and out, is breathtaking. Right beside it, an early Christmas market was happening with adorable stalls. The interior is a true work of art. At night, it transformed into what looked like a massive haunted castle, haha!
Harsha J — Google review
The cathedral is a magnificent piece of architecture and a sight to behold. My strong personal critique, however, is the commercialization of the space. Requiring payment for entry into the main sections creates a barrier that I feel is fundamentally opposed to Christian teachings. A church should be a place where anyone, regardless of their financial means, can enter to pray and connect with God.
Deepu J — Google review
I have to say that I was really excited to visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral. I had seen it in pictures, on Instagram, everywhere, and seeing it in person was such a beautiful, emotional moment. The cathedral is stunning from the inside out. We bought our tickets the same day; you cannot buy tickets online, so you need to go directly to the ticket area. If you want to go to the top of the cathedral, there are two options: • South Tower – You must climb around 300 steps. It’s very high and can be exhausting. • North Tower – This is the one we chose. It actually has a better view, including a 360° view, and you can take the elevator, which is definitely nicer. We also visited the dungeons, and that was fascinating. You see cadavers that have been there since the 1500s (or around that time). They give you a guided tour that explains how people were buried and the history of the underground cemetery. It’s very interesting, I won’t spoil too much, but I definitely recommend it. We didn’t do the full church tour because when we arrived, they were having Mass, and we didn’t want to wait. Plus, after going up the tower in the cold, we were already a bit tired. So just be prepared, going to the top can be draining, especially if you’re an introvert. We’re both introverts, and we were completely drained afterwards. But honestly, the cathedral itself is breathtaking. It’s hard to believe something so massive and detailed was built so long ago. I really can’t even explain how incredible it is, you just have to see it for yourself. One thing I liked is that everything is done on the same day, and you don’t have to worry about online bookings. You can explore one part of the cathedral and come back another day to do the rest, if you want. We didn’t, but it’s an option. We bought two tickets: • one for the underground cemetery tour • one for the North Tower (highly recommend this one!) I also recommend doing the official church tour because it gives you the full history, when it was built, who built it, and all the important details. I kind of regret not doing that. Overall, I highly recommend visiting St. Stephen’s Cathedral. I don’t have many pictures because I really wanted to take everything in with my own eyes and enjoy the moment. If you go, do the same,or have someone else take photos for you, because the experience goes by too fast. And you don’t want to miss it by staring at your phone.

St. Stephen’s Cathedral is a stunning Gothic masterpiece and a must-see in Vienna. I booked my ticket through GetYourGuide, which was convenient and easy. You need to claim the actual ticket at the Dom Museum Wien next to the cathedral before entry, so it’s best to go a few minutes early. The cathedral’s interior, towers, and views are breathtaking — rich in history and atmosphere. Worth the visit!

The Hofburg Imperial Palace, located in the heart of Vienna, is a grand complex that served as the residence and seat of power for the Habsburgs. This historic site, dating back to the 13th century, stands as a testament to the imperial history of the Danube monarchy. Today, it houses various institutions including the Austrian Federal President's office, museums such as the Sisi Museum and Court Silver Collection, and serves as an international conference center.
Impressive imperial palace complex in the heart of Vienna. Rich history, grand architecture, and well-curated museums make it a must-visit. Allow enough time to explore the Sisi Museum and the Imperial Apartments.

This is an enormous Palace complex. It houses several museums including the Sisi and Albertina, also the Spanish riding school arena and a church. You need to do some homework if you are interested in some of the above. Otherwise strolling around and taking in all the different centuries of architecture is very pleasing.

Hofburg Palace, Vienna In the centre of Vienna stands this majestic palace complex which houses two museums including the famous Sisi museum dedicated to Empress Elisabeth. Built in the 13th century it was the winter residence as well as the seat of the government of the imperial family. The architecture is great and a big tourist attraction. In the front are some ruins and the area is full of tourists all through the day. Horse carts with well attired charioteers are there for the tourists to enjoy royal carriages. Being in the historic old town the place is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Beautiful complex! The gardens are open to the public and certain buildings allow visitors! We only visited the State Hall which was gorgeous and gave a brief, modern history of Austria!

The Austrians certainly know how to do a building and the Hapsburgs really got it right. Just walking around the grounds can still the visitor to quite awe. There are a number of places with the area to visit and requires a ticket but it’s free to walk through the gardens and around the Palace buildings.

Schönbrunn Zoo, located in the garden of the Schönbrunn Palace, is a historic 18th-century zoo that offers a diverse collection of over 500 animal species. The zoo is known for its child-friendly programs and activities, including free children's tours on Sundays and special Christmas workshops and activities during the holiday season. As the oldest zoo in Europe, it boasts a rich history dating back to Empress Maria Theresa's nature-loving husband, Francis Stephen.
The Schönbrunn Zoo is one of the best zoos I’ve ever visited! It’s very well organized, clean, and easy to walk around. There’s a huge variety of animals, from giant pandas and polar bears to elephants and tigers. The enclosures are spacious and well maintained, and you can see that the animals are cared for. What makes it special is the atmosphere – it’s part of the Schönbrunn Palace grounds, so walking through the zoo feels like a mix of nature, history, and culture. There are plenty of places to rest, grab a snack, or enjoy a coffee while taking a break. Definitely a must-visit in Vienna – plan to spend at least half a day here to enjoy it fully!

One of the most impressive zoos I have ever seen in my life. The size of the zoo is amazing, and it feels very spacious and well-organized. The animals are well taken care of, and their habitats are thoughtfully designed to resemble their natural environments. Walking through the zoo, you can see a huge variety of species, from pandas and elephants to exotic birds and marine animals. It’s both educational and entertaining, with plenty of spots to relax, cafes, and play areas for kids. Truly a must-visit place for families and animal lovers alike .

The Vienna Zoo (Tiergarten Schönbrunn) is one of the most beautiful and well-maintained zoos I’ve ever visited. Located inside the stunning Schönbrunn Palace gardens, it feels like a mix of history and nature all in one place. The animal enclosures are spacious and clean, and the zoo is home to an incredible variety—from pandas and elephants to polar bears and exotic birds. 🐼🐘🦜 There are plenty of shaded areas, cafés, and places to rest, making it perfect for families or a relaxed day out. The educational signs are informative, and you can really tell that the animals are well cared for. Don’t miss the rainforest house and the aquarium area!

A wonderful place to spend a day with family, friends, or on your own. There are many species of animals, all well cared for. The enclosures are stunning, allowing the animals to roam freely. Several animals have given birth, indicating their well-being in captivity. Adults will find plenty of food kiosks, cafes, and restaurants, while children will have a blast on the numerous playgrounds.
Oleksandr L — Google review
Amazing! We loved it. I grew to hate zoos because animals are never well kept and just exploited. This is completely different! First, the variety of animals is incredible. Second, they are really well kept and treated. The enclosures are engineered for the species needs in mind. Beautiful, great ambience, definitely worth the price of the entrance. I would go again.
Chris S — Google review
Incredible experience! Absolutely worth the ticket price, beautiful buildings with lots of animals and indoor areas to sit and relax. You can do it all in half a day but would recommend a full day. Even though we got caught in the rain, didn't spoil the trip.

Demel is a historic Viennese pastry shop and chocolaterie that has been serving delectable treats since 1786. Located near the Hofburg palace, this elegant salon offers a charming ambiance with a shady terrace. The interior boasts spacious lounges where you can indulge in specialties like cream cakes, scones, and strudels. One of their must-try dishes is the Kaiserschmarrn, caramelized Austrian pancakes served with plum compote.
Went to the cafe and just wanted to say Elke was such an amazing and cheerful staff. From the moment she sat us down all the way till we left, and even to other customers around us too. She made our experience at the cafe better than we expected. Staff were super friendly, the food and atmosphere were great. Eating here made our experience in Vienna more memorable! Many thanks to Elke and the other amazing staff and chefs!

Huge line to seat in the cafe so I just got the Kaiserschmarrn for take away. It was super delicious and one of the best sweets I’ve had in Vienna. It’s a bit expensive but I think it worth it to try it when you are in Vienna. The store is also very beautiful itself and you can buy souvenirs. 💯 Great experience
Behnam — Google review
The place looks really nice with a charming, antique atmosphere. We were lucky to arrive about 30 minutes before opening, as a queue started forming very quickly! Through the window, you can even watch the chef preparing Austrian pancakes, which adds a lovely authentic touch. The service was simple and fast, which we really appreciated. We ordered the Sacher and Kaiserschmarrn. The Sacher was excellent — when it arrived, I expected it to be dry or the chocolate too hard, but it was quite the opposite: moist cake and soft, rich chocolate. The Kaiserschmarrn were also very tasty, with hot and delicious plum jam on the side. To drink, we had a cappuccino, which had a nice, rich coffee flavor and perfectly frothy milk. Overall, it was a great experience — delicious food, cozy ambiance, and quick service. I would definitely recommend this place! ☕🍰

Stopped for a slice of their Sacher torte on my birthday last week while on my first-ever visit to Vienna. The place is gorgeous! You can smell the buttery vanilla Kaiserschmarrn right as you walk in and it just makes you all the more excited. The servers were really sweet. I asked for a little candle on my cake. They immediately congratulated me and along came my slice of Sacher torte with a lit candle on top. They knew I was going to take photos so they offered to come back and light the candle again if I needed them to. The Sacher was, of course, delicious! Coffee was good. My friend ordered the Kaiserschmarrn and it was lovely! We had a very good experience! Made my birthday feel special and I appreciate that very much 😊

Pricey but an experience. A short wait as seats with multiple floors. Anna cake was good but tasted like normal chocolate cake. Hot chocolate was indulgent and chocolatey. The pancakes were fluffy although not very hot or warm and didn’t have enough plum sauce to go with it Waitress was friendly and smiley. Toilets available.

I visited because it was said to be one of Vienna's three best Sachertorte. I got it to go and had it with coffee. It was delicious, just the right amount of sweetness for me, especially when I was tired and needed a sugar boost.
MinKyung L — Google review
Demel’s Kaiserschmarrn is famous for its fluffy texture and caramelized sweetness. Once beloved by Emperor Franz Joseph, this imperial pancake served with powdered sugar and fruit compote embodies the elegance and charm of Viennese café culture. It is recommended to make a reservation. There was already a long queue at 10 am that day. The email address on the website is invalid.
SOFIA C — Google review
Café Demel is like stepping straight into Vienna’s sweet history! This legendary café has been around for centuries and still feels as elegant and charming as ever. The interior is a mix of classic Viennese style and timeless luxury, making it the perfect spot to enjoy coffee and some of the best pastries in the city. One of my favorite parts? The shop section – where you can pick up chocolates, cakes, and all kinds of beautifully packaged treats to take home (or just eat on the way!). Everything feels special here – from the craftsmanship of the desserts to the atmosphere that blends tradition with a hint of royal charm. Yes, it can be busy, but that’s part of the experience – it’s Demel after all. If you want to taste a piece of Vienna’s sweet heritage, this is the place.

The Vienna State Opera House, also known as Wiener Staatsoper, is a world-renowned opera house that has been hosting major productions and guided tours. It is one of the largest and most magnificent theaters globally, with a rich history dating back to 1625. The current grand Opera House was constructed in 1869 and features a French Early Renaissance style.
if you're a fan of music, or even just beautiful buildings, the tour of the vienna state opera is a must-do. i wasn't sure what to expect, but it was really fascinating. it's a guided tour, so you go with a group and a guide tells you all the stories. they take you through the grand staircases and these incredibly ornate rooms like the tea salon and the marble hall. everything is so elegant and detailed, and it's wild to think that parts of the building had to be rebuilt after being bombed in world war ii. you see the original parts and the restored parts side by side, and it's a cool mix of history. the highlight for me was seeing the auditorium and the stage from different angles. you get to stand in the royal box and look out, and it makes you feel like you're royalty for a second. the tour is about 40 minutes long, and you get so many interesting facts and stories. they tell you about the famous composers and conductors who worked there. it's a really great way to appreciate the opera house even if you don't have time to see a full performance. it's a good idea to check the schedule online and book your tour in advance because they're really popular
KK — Google review
It was our first opera. It was amazing. The story was interesting and very easy to follow the subtitles on the little screen in front of each seat. The cast and Orchestra were extremely talented. The opera house is magnificently beautiful. It's well worth a visit.
Nimma S — Google review
First time in this quintessential building, went to see Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte on a Thursday night. The building design is such that, even high up on “oxygen level”, one has a great view of the stage and singers. However, the design also takes the breath away from those afraid of heights:) Individual tablets at the seats give you subtitles. They do make you check in your coats and the bar lines at intermission can get very long, so plan accordingly. Also, prices are high, not unexpectedly. Unique building and design though, quality performances, not to be missed.
Adi G — Google review
The Vienna State Opera House is one of the most stunning buildings I have ever seen. I only had the chance to admire it from the outside, but its beauty is absolutely breathtaking. The grand façade, elegant arches, and detailed sculptures reflect Vienna’s rich artistic and cultural heritage. Even without going inside, you can feel the history and importance of this place, where some of the world’s greatest operas have been performed. The building shines beautifully, especially at night when it’s illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere. I hope to return one day to experience a performance inside this magnificent opera house.
Salvatore P — Google review
Very disappointing experience at the Vienna Opera House First of all, I was scammed by ticket sellers outside the building. They were wearing official-looking vests with lanyards, so I thought they were staff. I was in a rush and bought a ticket from them for €50, only to find out later that the actual price of my corner seat was only €15. The seat had a terrible view and I could barely see anything. But the performance was still good. The experience inside was just as bad. During the second intermission, I missed the re-entry and was denied entry until the session ended, which meant I had to stand outside for 1.5 hours. There were no announcements or signs in English to inform foreigners that the bell ringing meant “5 minutes until doors close.” About eight of us were left stuck outside even though we had paid for our tickets. When I spoke to the management, they casually mentioned that this was not the first time it happened but offered no solution. Their excuse was that “the bell is an old tradition and everyone should know.” Sorry, but I’m a foreigner, and it’s 2025 — clear communication should be basic hospitality. As for the scammers outside, the management said that the area outside isn’t their property, so they’re “not responsible,” even though these sellers are using “Opera House” tickets to overcharge tourists. This felt extremely unprofessional. Overall, this was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I expected much better from such a famous cultural institution.
Hanli B — Google review
I highly recommend to buy tickets in advance. However, if the will to listen to the opera arrives suddenly, there is always possibility to buy tickets for standing places. Be ready to pay 13-18 euros for it. I watched Faust here, and the performance was a great mix of classic and modernity. That's why it got 3 stars instead of one. However, the organization of the reception was terrible. I spent 10 minutes to find my level, and another 10 trying to deposit my coat. As a result I was late, and the door to the opera hall was closed and the entrance was forbidden. The staff, really rude and strict, offered to watch the opera in the small room with the on line translation.. until second part. It took 2 hours. And even after that.. no smile, no welcoming.. like a military camp.
Oksana S — Google review
It was truly a dream come true to experience an opera. I adore European culture and its rich history. The venue felt utterly magical, and being there made me feel incredibly special.
Harsha J — Google review
If you’re in Vienna, you definitely have to visit the State Opera House! I’ve been to opera houses in the U.S., but most of them are relatively new compared to this one. The level of detail here is incredible – every corner feels like a work of art, from the ornate ceilings to the grand staircases. The performance was equally stunning. The orchestra and opera singers were on another level – so powerful and moving that even though I’m not usually into classical music, I loved every minute of it. This was truly an unforgettable experience and one of those bucket-list items you absolutely have to check off when visiting Vienna.

Went to see a small orchestra with a four person string quartet and it was delightful. I paid €20 for my tickets and the usher told me I could sit in any available seat. There were 7 rows so it was a small concert hall. The acoustics were amazing as the room was clearly designed for this. There were two violins, a viola and a cello. All played beautifully. The concert went on for one hour. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to experience a small intimate orchestra without spending a fortune. Thank you.

So interesting museum. Great music and composer. Reminded me of my dad, playing classical music in the morning of each weekend. Taught me how to adore classic music and composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Hydin etc.

There are plenty of concerts offered to tourists, at prices that are higher. We looked for a last-minute and eventually decided on half price string ensemble of vienna. Had a great time, intimate, famous music pieces, excellent players. Enjoyed the evening.

Whether you are a kid, have kids, or are a kid at heart - this place is astounding! The thoughtful, interactive way the museum has been set up makes it SO fun to learn as you go through. The zookonzert & clong lab are must do's should you visit. Had a super fabulous time interacting with music & sound.

Expected more of this musem but main problem is in kids and ther parents! This is not a playground but muesum, it is not cool while you trying to enjoy in piece of history and some spoiled child runs around and scream. Or change the policy for kids, or put signs for parents so they know the rules and regulation before enter!

We had an incredible morning at the House of Music. I recommend this place for all ages. It’s a brilliant blend of history and musical technology. Lots of interactive displays entertaining you and teaching you about sound. A great place to learn the science behind sound and also learn about the lives of some of the greatest Austrian composers who lived. Very thoughtfully laid out and easy to navigate.

WOW! What a find for a music enthusiast! It’s absolutely fab experience and excellent value for what you seen hear and learn. Multiple levels of past present and future sounds, a real insight into Austrian music and composers of the like. Lots of interactive things to do for adults and children. Highly recommended, you won’t be bored. Also a great musical staircase that plays when you walk up it. Can’t wait to go back.

Cafe
Café Bel Étage is a beautiful café and hotel that's perfect for capturing Instagram-worthy photos. The staff is known for being friendly and providing quick service, but it's advisable to make reservations as there's usually a line. While some visitors found the original Sacher chocolate cake to be just okay, others enjoyed it as a classic Czech food experience. The atmosphere is described as interesting, with some guests waiting around 20-30 minutes to be seated.
Came to try the infamous chocolate sacher cake. Oh my!!! Make sure you split it with another person! I ordered the hot chocolate and the tort and it was so rich, I barely finished. Definitely could have easily split. Also !!Allergy Notice!! the specialty chocolate dessert have nuts in them!! My poor little brother couldn’t have any but there are alternative desserts that are nut free (a cheese sweet). We came an hour before close and were immediately sat.
Kaylara B — Google review
You can’t come to Vienna and not try the ORIGINAL Sacher torte - has to be done! We booked online so we were able to skip the long queue that snakes out the door onto the street, and walk upstairs to the beautiful newly renovated tea salon complete with red velvet furniture and red textured damask wallpaper. Service was so disappointing - completely perfunctory and very abrupt bordering on rude - this was the only negative. Tea was served in elegant Cafe Bel Étage embossed teapots and matching cup & saucer. The Sacher Torte was divine and lived up to its reputation! This place isn’t cheap either, and it’s packed with eager tourists. It’s definitely a “one and done” kinda place. So glad I went, but once was enough.
Gustav — Google review
What a wonderful surprise. We definitely wanted to try the original Sacher torte so we decided it had to be the top experience at the Bel Etage of Sacher. The place is so beautiful! We order some lunch and everything was absolutely delicious and cooked “aux point”. The service was elegant and efficient. Last but not the least, the Sacher torte as great and the apflesttrudel also delicious! Definitely worth the experience!!
Dora M — Google review
If you want to indulge in an authentic Sacher Torte experience in Vienna, this is the place to go. You can either reserve a table in advance at Café Bel Etage — the elegant upstairs venue with a unique ambiance — or wait in line for a table at Café Sacher, which can take quite a while, especially during peak hours. The Belle Etage is beautifully furnished in red velvet, with portraits reminiscent of the imperial era. The staff are smartly dressed, the atmosphere refined, and the porcelain delicate and elegant. The Sacher Torte is exactly as it should be: intensely chocolaty and perfectly balanced with a side of whipped cream. The Eggs Benedict were tasty, though I’ve had better elsewhere. The service was polite and well-presented, though a few staff members seemed a bit disorganized. Prices are on the higher side — we paid around €200 for breakfast for five. From my perspective, it’s a lovely place to experience a bit of old-world Vienna, and I would certainly recommend it to friends. However, in terms of value for money, it’s not the strongest.
Eva B — Google review
The place was on my go to list for a long time. We visited around 1PM and had not to wait to be seated, but I've seen long queues around the cafe, which made me postpone my visit several times. We were seated on the first floor (you'll have to wait a little bit for a second floor, it's more spacious and delicate). We tried Original Sacher Torte along with cappuccino (one of the best). The cake itself is good and tasty, but not my kind of sweet treat, but definitely must try, whipped cream helps with the flavours. Thr service was fast and staff was attentive. Would love to be back for other treats.
Mariam K — Google review
The ORIGINAL Sacher torte, definitely a must try in Vienna! I came here wanting to get some takeaway but ended up queuing up for dine-in due to the amazing interior and ambience. It was also my first time trying Sacher torte and apple strudel so I didn't have much previous experiences to compare to, despite that I thought the cakes were absolutely delicious! Definitely would come back again! I also would recommend booking online beforehand to avoid the crowd and seriously long queues which is the only drawback of this cafe.
Wong X — Google review
Everyone says “You must try the original Sacher-Torte in Vienna!” Well, I did. And honestly? Not worth the hype. ⏳ The Wait: I queued 40 minutes outside in the cold like a loyal cake pilgrim… only to be seated and ignored for over 20 more minutes. No menu. No greeting. No smiles. No service. Just sitting there, wondering if I was part of a social experiment. 🍫 The Cake: Behold—the “legendary” Sacher-Torte. Looked elegant. Tasted dry. The chocolate glaze was fine, the apricot jam was barely detectable, and the sponge? Meh. The whipped cream was the best part (and I don’t say that lightly). ☕ The Coffee: Had a specialty coffee with cream and orange—looked fancy, tasted okay. But after all that waiting, even great coffee wouldn’t have saved the experience. 💸 The Experience: Overrated and overpriced. Yes, the interior is grand and photogenic, but if you’re hoping for warmth, service, or culinary bliss—lower your expectations.
Dr J — Google review
Touristic place, but iconic, must see. Didnt make it to the coffee but bought few Sachers in the shop. Dont wait in the line for coffee if you want just a taste of the cake, you can buy it in the shop round the corner.

Westfield Shopping City Süd, located just outside Vienna in Vosendorf, is the largest shopping center in Austria and one of the biggest in Europe. Boasting 330 shops, it offers a mix of well-known chain stores like Pull&Bear, Hollister, Footlocker, and Primark alongside smaller boutiques. The mall features a plant-filled atrium and fountain area, creating a spacious and inviting atmosphere for visitors.
A huge shopping mall with hundreds of stores inside and big hub free standing stores. As far as malls go, it's easy to get to, and you'll be able to find everything you'd expect there and then take a coffee or get something to eat. Definitely recommend for all of your shopping needs in Vienna.

It's huge. I wish i had not got there at 6pm when they close at 7. The website is confusing because it says that the food courg is open past 7 but did not seem to be the case. Public transit BB train is one stop out of Vienna zone so more expensive to get to or from Vienna to the mall.

Loved it! The BB Trolley takes you right to it. Tons of Stores. Lots of Restaurants. Bought Pants from H&M. Bought Sneakers from Hervis Sports. Ate at Castelleto. Walked for hours. Cafe’s/Ice Cream are every 100’ it seems. If you ain’t finding what you need here then it ain’t for Sale. This place Rocks. Loved it here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Mall is Immaculately clean. The Bathrooms are free and modern looking and well sanitized.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at Westfield Shopping City Süd. I tried to charge my car at the Wien Energie charging station located here, but it didn’t work. €50 was taken from my credit card, the car didn’t charge, and the whole process ruined my entire day and mood. I tried to contact Wien Energie support, but nobody answered. Since this charging station is part of the shopping center, I’m leaving this review here as well. Augarten is a Baroque-style park in Vienna, featuring a royal palace, five kids' play areas, sporting facilities, and cultural events. The park dates back to the 17th century when it was used as a hunting area and lodge. It boasts formal gardens established by designer Jean Trehet in 1705 and is home to the Augarten Porzellanmanufaktur, one of Europe's oldest porcelain factories.
A huge park that it home to two flak towers, that are worth seeing, the park is lovely to stroll around enjoying the openess, there is plenty of seating, definitely a must when visiting Vienna.

Beautiful park. It is absolutely spotless with lots and lots of benches to sit in and enjoy the park. Also handy to keep dry when raining. People everywhere enjoying the space. Lovely.
Catherine N — Google review
Augarten Park is one of Vienna’s most beautiful and historically rich green spaces. Nestled in the heart of the city’s second district, this meticulously maintained park offers a perfect blend of tranquility, culture, and history. The first thing you notice upon entering Augarten is how well taken care of it is. The gardens are immaculately groomed, with tree-lined alleys, colorful flowerbeds, and expansive lawns that invite visitors to relax, walk, or picnic. The park is family-friendly, with playgrounds for children and open areas that cater to joggers, dog walkers, and those simply looking to unwind. Despite being a popular destination, it never feels overcrowded due to its generous size and thoughtful layout. What truly sets Augarten apart, however, is its historical depth. Dating back to the 17th century, the park was originally laid out as a baroque garden and has retained its classical charm. It’s home to the stunning Palais Augarten, a baroque palace that today houses the world-famous Vienna Boys’ Choir. The palace and its surroundings provide a unique backdrop that adds a sense of grandeur to the entire park. A striking and sobering reminder of more recent history are the two massive World War II flak towers that still stand within the park. These concrete giants, once used for air defense, serve as historical landmarks and symbols of Vienna’s complex past. Their presence offers a powerful contrast to the peaceful surroundings and invites reflection on the city’s wartime experience. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or just someone in search of a peaceful place to spend an afternoon, Augarten Park is a must-visit. It’s a place where Vienna’s layered history and natural beauty come together, making it both a serene escape and a living monument.

Wien Mitte The Mall is a large urban shopping center situated above a transportation hub in Vienna. With over 50 shops, it offers a diverse range of products including fashionable clothing, shoes, household items, travel essentials, and books. Visitors can easily access the mall from the nearby railway station. In addition to upscale retail stores, there is also a food court and supermarket available for daily grocery needs.
Relatively small mall however with excellent options for dining, such as at Ramien, Vapiano, McDonalds etc. Recently several new stores opened, so you can buy almost everything starting with groceries, clothes, shoes, jewelry, cosmetics, flowers, up to mobile phones and technology products. The grocery shop Spar Pronto is also open on Sundays and holidays (please check opening hours separately). The airport train CAT as well as the SBahn 7 stops underneath the Mall and there is a great connection with most of the Vienna's districts. metro lines U3 and U4 are also accessible here. There is a cinema across the street and Stadtpark is few minutes away by foot

Would have been nice to walk around on weekdays. Too bad I was here on Sunday, only interspar pronto is opened. Even though it carries lots of food to go, it might get really busy due to the fact that other shops don't open. Also for the airport train, CAT.

I love the shops and food choices available here. The mall has clean WCs and a playground for children. It has benches to sit on when you get tired. It is near hotels, parks and public transportation so it's the perfect place to go for catching up with friends from all over. I hope it adds C & A, Ströck and Anker in its roster of shops.

Wien Mitte The Mall is an incredibly convenient urban shopping center. It sits right above the major Wien Mitte transport hub, including the CAT airport train. The mall is clean and offers a decent variety of shops and restaurants. It's an excellent passageway and stop for essentials, especially with the grocery store open on Sundays. While functional, it's more of a transit hub than a destination mall.
Ilan C — Google review
🚉 Wien Mitte – The Mall A place where everything connects. Wien Mitte is much more than a shopping mall — it’s the beating heart of Vienna’s transport network and a place where modern life, travel, and comfort meet. Located right in the city center, it’s the main intermodal transport hub, linking the city’s subway (U3, U4), S-Bahn trains, CAT (City Airport Train), buses, and trams. Inside, you’ll find everything you need — from shops, cafés, and restaurants to services, supermarkets, and travel essentials. Whether you’re catching a train to the airport, exploring the city, or just taking a break, Wien Mitte feels like a small city within the city. 💬 Verdict: Clean, efficient, full of life — the perfect example of Vienna’s elegance meeting urban mobility.

It was a nice trip 7 hours long. We did 16 km. The park offers a breathtaking landscape with forests, meadows and rivers that are perfect for hiking and relaxing. We did the Ocean and really enjoyed exploring it. You get an hour and we were lucky to get a ticket on the spot (the only available left). I was impressed by the... toilets! Our 2-1/3 year old loved it. He went to the ocean-themed area. Wife and I enjoyed seeing him play and thought the place was fun and safe (enough). Had a diaper change event that went easy as well (bathroom with changing area right in the space). The whole facility appeared to have a lot more awesome things for kids, though primarily for older ones.

We did the Ozean wirh a 22 month old - almost 2. Kid had fun, nice place, nice staff and good facilities for a diaper change and self handwriting for the little ones. Would recommend. It took about an hour and a bit. I'd bring anti slip socks.
Jwatson — Google review
Great Team of educators who work with the kids and great materials/ ways of working freely! One thing just: the workshops could be a bit longer! It was a bit over an hour, but could be easily two hours to give the kids room to explore! That felt too short…
Ronja S — Google review
The play area and different activities in the "ocean" are well designed and clean. You only get a "1h time slot" to use it though. During our visit the employee who opens the area came 5 min late and after 45 min we were told to come down and get out again. With the waiting times until everybody gets in and is seated, and in the end gathers downstairs to get out it was maximum 40 min of actual playtime. There should also be a limit for adults per child, as in our case there were seemingly more adults than kids (e.g. 1 toddler had 3 accompanying adults)

Lugner City is a bustling urban mall situated on the Vienna Belt near Mariahilferstrasse and the Westbahnhof. Established in 1990 by Austrian businessman Richard Siegfried Lugner, it features brand-name retailers, an underground parking facility, a multiplex cinema, and a food court that operates late into the night. The mall is renowned for its annual event called Mr.
Pretty good mall at with a easy access. Plenty of shops of all kinds and good places to eat as well. Also very clean.
Balail ( — Google review
This mall is a nice place that I visit often. It has everything you need and still functions really well, even though the building and some parts of the block look a bit old. It’s clean, well-maintained, and generally a comfortable place to shop or hang out. One thing I really wish they would improve is the food options—having more halal choices would make a big difference. The biggest downside, though, is the escalator at the glass exit. It’s been broken for months with no sign of repair, and there’s not even a proper sign explaining the issue. It’s really frustrating, especially when you’re carrying bags or with someone who needs assistance. Other than that, the mall still performs well and has a lot to offer.
Abdul S — Google review
Lugner City is full of diversity and surprises. I love the vibe and the variety of shops, restaurants and patrons there. I also work out frequently at the McFit. It’s small but has some fun themed workout areas (one is like the beach and another is a bit like a creepy fun-house with mirrors). I come here at least once a week. It’s a gem of the 15th district, IMHO

Lugner City is a lively shopping center with a bit of everything — shops, cafés, restaurants, and even a cinema. It’s not the biggest mall in Vienna, but it has its own charm and energy. The location is super convenient, easy to reach by U6 or tram, and there’s always something going on — from small events to meet-and-greets. You can grab a quick bite, do your shopping, or just people-watch with a coffee. It’s a nice mix of everyday practicality and local character.
Christina M — Google review
One of the best shopping complexes in Vienna. A very big business environment. Parking is 2hrs free. A complex that gives you the chance and option for varieties of products.
Kriss B — Google review
Convenient location, but overall very poor quality. Other than the MediaMarkt store, there’s really no compelling reason to visit this shopping center. In fact, you’d probably be better off just walking down the street. Many stairways are occupied by homeless individuals or littered with signs of drug use. Trash can be found in nearly every corner, and the restrooms are extremely dirty and poorly maintained. If you have children, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. The general environment has deteriorated, and the selection of shops and products is mostly second-rate. The overall level of service and quality has significantly dropped, catering to low demand and limited offerings.

Busy station with train connections to various European destinations. You can also access local train and tram services here. On the adjacent side of the station, you will ask find bus station for buses heading to other European cities. Lots of shops at the station and prices aren’t too bad in shops such as the local DM store.

Good location for easy transport to almost anywhere. Good shopping on 3 levels. Very modern and clean. The only downside, and to be fair this is most large cities now.. is the number of homeless people confronting you for handouts. Sadly, one can only give so much. 😔
Gaz S — Google review
The service was nice . I bought the ticket to Bratislava per online and was able to change it there . The staff was friendly and helpful . It was easy to find our destination since there was a big board.
Mitch B — Google review
It is a very modern, clean, well-organized, spacious railway station. It's good to come here, it's good to get out of here. There are shops and eating or coffee places. You could leave your luggage here, very clean toilet (amazing) and not cold place for waiting your trains. Good location and many underground and tram to connect and travel to the city if you stay in Vienna.
Soós T — Google review
A convenient and modern station with plenty of shops, cafés, and services to pass the time while waiting for a train. The layout is easy to navigate, and everything you might need is available - from groceries to clothing. However, it can get extremely busy and noisy, especially during peak hours, which makes it a bit stressful to move around. Cleanliness could also be improved in some areas. Overall, it’s a functional and well-equipped station, but not the most relaxing place to spend time.
Jonathan C — Google review
This central station is relatively new so it is not surprising that it is modern and convenient yet I like this station a lot. It is conveniently situated, well connected, though of course the entire public transport network does not converge towards this station as you would come to expect knowing central stations in other, predominantly German cities. All in all, it is easy to navigate, it has some good gastronomic options and it gives you a pleasant, safe feel. They did a great job designing and building it.
Michael ( — Google review
Very very busy main line station. Traffic coming on from quite a few European countries. You can access the platforms and just sit a while, watching world go bye...

The Children’s Museum Schönbrunn Palace offers a delightful journey into the world of imperial childhood, allowing young visitors to explore the lives of Habsburg royalty in the 18th century. Nestled within the stunning Schönbrunn Palace complex, this interactive museum features an array of hands-on exhibits showcasing toys, costumes, and furniture from that era. One of the highlights is undoubtedly the dressing-up area where children can don period attire and immerse themselves in their roles as little princes and princesses.
A must visit if you have children. Apart from learning about the life of young princes and princesses, they can try on clothes, play with toys and explore the rooms of the royal children. Very well organised with information sheets in English and other languages.
S G — Google review
This is a wonderful destination for families with children, a place where kids can play, explore, and learn about one of the country’s most well known historical stories. They even offer traditional costumes for free, so families can take memorable photos together. What a truly special and enriching experience
Marlyn ( — Google review
Much more interesting than I thought. We spent aboit 2 hours in there just playing like the little royals used to. The dressing up at the end is also super fun, but all in all a really great combination of fun and education. We will come again.
Mascha M — Google review
Pros: 1) Engaging for Kids: Hands-on activities in every room, making it fun and educational. 2) Interactive Dress-Up: Kids can dress up and explore history in an enjoyable way. 3) Variety of Toys: Lots of toys to keep children entertained. 4) Family-Friendly: Parents also enjoyed the experience. Cons: 1) No Bags/Food Inside: You need to store bags and food in the cloakroom. Make sure to bring 1 euro to use a locker.
Lakshmi S — Google review
It is a very nice addition to the rest of the Palace, allowing to learn a few more things about the royal children's life. There are several interactions, focused primarily to the ages 7-10, although our 12-yo had a good time as well. Play room, dining room, toys, clothes are all nice. We got it as part of the Schönbrunn pass so cannot comment on the price. Spent about 1,5 hour there.
Iordanis P — Google review
The Children's Museum at Schönbrunn is a perfect destination for families seeking an educational and fun experience. Located within the Schönbrunn Palace complex, the museum offers interactive activities such as dressing up in medieval costumes and participating in historical reenactments. It's an ideal place for children to learn about local history in an engaging and interactive way.
Constantin-Dorin — Google review
Was a lovely way to get the kids interested in the Palace but there’s not a great deal on display for the adults. Spent most of the time dressing up! Combined with zoo trip and walk up to Gloriette and was worth it as a day out. Don’t think it will satisfy any need to see the Palace proper though (although haven’t been in the Palace proper so may have that wrong!).
Francesca L — Google review
Amazing!!! Inside the palace with cool rooms to warp you back in time. Adults and kiddos loved the first room to try on outfits. SO cool! Highly recommend :)

Time Travel Vienna offers an entertaining and educational experience for both kids and adults, taking visitors on a journey through 2,000 years of Viennese history. Located in the former wine cellars of St Michaels monastery, this underground adventure features multi-media shows, interactive exhibits, and a 5D cinema that transports guests to ancient Roman Vienna and other significant historical periods.
Family-Friendly, and Fun for All Ages! We visited Time Travel Vienna as a family group that included two children, two seniors, and myself—and I was honestly a bit worried beforehand about how everyone would enjoy it. But to my surprise, the tour turned out to be excellent! The experience was engaging for all age groups. My mom even said she’d like to go back to see the Sisi section we missed due to time constraints. Overall, I can confidently say it’s a great choice for a multi-generational visit. Everyone found something to enjoy. Highly recommended, no matter your age!
Daniela V — Google review
Was a decent experience. The experiences are ok. There is a language option and they provide the headsets at entry. There is a decent amount of walking in between and takes a little under an hour to complete. The VR experience requires you to hold your VR glasses which is a little annoying but actually the VR experience itself was a nice experience. I’d likely take my kids in addition to the museums :-)
Berny K — Google review
Time Travel Vienna is a really fun and interesting place to visit. It’s a great way to learn about Austria’s history in an interactive and entertaining way. The shows and presentations make the past come alive, and it’s easy to follow even if it’s your first time learning about Austrian history. I really loved the experience — it’s both educational and enjoyable, perfect for families, students, or travelers who want to understand Vienna’s past in a unique way. Definitely worth checking out
Andri S — Google review
2025-October I thought this was going to be just another fly-over Vienna 4D experience… boy, was I wrong! The whole experience took about an hour, and it was so much more than a simple show. You actually move through multiple themed rooms—each one offering a different sensory experience. It’s a fun and interactive way to learn about Vienna’s history! There’s also a gift shop, free-use lockers, clean restrooms, and even a green-screen photo area where you can dress up in costumes. The staff were all very polite and friendly. It was a lot of fun for both kids and adults. Highly recommended! 👍👍

Great place! And one of those rare occasions that you felt it was value for money. The VR and shows really kept kids engaged and learnt a lot.

This was 10/10 BRILLIANT 😀 I absolutely loved it. Very friendly staff made the experience better. I knew nothing about the History of Vienna but after visiting here, I have an idea and now want more. The guide/experience/tour was amazing. Highly recommend going to this. Thank you.
Keith S — Google review
A must do when in Vienna. An interactive and fun way to learn about the history but aimed more towards adults. Tours are every 15 minutes and you can wear headsets for different languages. There are toilets and a free cloakroom. The girl helping us around the tour was very good also. Whole experience was great. One tip, do this tour on your first day in Vienna as it will help you understand what you are looking at when walking around.
Tom B — Google review
Good set up, liked the flow of the different ways the information was shared, palace Court set up, VR, ride, lock-in etc. additional information could have been shared in the 3D ride, which seemed in need of an update. Young guide was completely un-enthralled. They had a late evening session from 8pm-midnight which meant each session was less crowded which was nice.

Swarovski is an upscale chain renowned for its exquisite crystal jewelry, watches, Christmas ornaments, and home accents. The store in Vienna on Karntner Strasse is a crystalline wonderland that offers a breathtaking design and a vast selection of stunning jewelry and crystal pieces. The three-floor store provides an incredible shopping experience with beautiful ambiance and knowledgeable staff who offer excellent customer service.
This without doubt is my best experience in Vienna 😘 😘. I've never been surrounded by so many beautiful crystals. Our Tour guide Magdalena (I think) was amazing. She was calm, lovely and answered all our questions. The house is drop dead breathtaking with all the glistening crystals. The gift and the glass of 🍷 was cherries on the top❤️
Chiamaka N — Google review
meeting point is inside, our tour guide was actually a salesperson. during the 1 hour tour, they didn't hang anywhere our coats so we had to have them on and the space in the shop is not big. The salesperson was Florian, he seemed shy and nervous so he was pausing and didn't know what to say most of the time, he also spoke very quietly so it was difficult to hear him, he needs to be more energetic and confident but otherwise very nice. the explanations are half an hour so the other half is wandering around and taking pics. they offer champagne or juice. The gift they gave me was a plastic pendant similar to those from kids magazine from the kiosk, it is quite disappointing. Overall the experience is ok but not wow nor bad. you can tell they do this to squeeze some extra money and at the end most of the tour people obviously end up buying so it is an upsale for them. You can also enter as a customer or don't buy anything and still can see the whole shop without paying for this tour.
Ferial H — Google review
This is always a fun store to explore. I love looking at all the displays they have. So beautiful!
Rin S — Google review
More than a retail store, the shop has a mini museum downstairs that showcases the history of Swarovski. The installations are beautiful, and occasionally course there's so many sparkly things you could spend ages here
Maureen Y — Google review
It is a very good showcase of Swarovski in the centre of Wein Austria. Complete displays of Swarovski gems and crystals. The guided tour person is not that well verse in her scripts. Seems like a new staff. Anyways, other than that, it's a very well designed store.

It was cute, the personals were freundlich and cute. Unfortunately, it was only 30 minutes, that's why there was no champagne, but we were still happy for having a gift. I changed the Kristals Hänger to put on

WEIN & CO Wien Stephansplatz – Weinrestaurant & Flagshipstore is a unique establishment that combines a wine shop and bar/restaurant in the heart of Vienna. With multiple locations, including one near St. Stephen's Cathedral, it offers an extensive selection of Austrian, European, and global wines. Visitors can browse through hundreds of bottles in the cellar and enjoy tastings at the bar.
We bought wine in downstairs and drank upstairs with cover charge 12 euro. The employee handed our wine to another employee upstairs. We also enjoyed food, actually ordered more after devouring selections. The price was also very reasonable, considering the quality and location. Staffs were overall very nice.

Exceptional wine and seasonal flavors An absolute delight in the heart of Vienna! WEIN & CO offers an outstanding selection of wines paired with a carefully crafted menu. The cheese platter and seasonal dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavor — a perfect match for the wines. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, making it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy a true taste of Austria. Highly recommended for wine lovers and foodies alike!
Hatice A — Google review
An ideal place for a glass of really good wine or two or three and small wine accompaniments such as a cheese platter with really excellent bread. All this at reasonable, upmarket prices in a pleasant atmosphere and perfect service.
Charles M — Google review
The restaurant café offers decent food, though nothing particularly special. The atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting, making it a nice place to sit and relax. Unfortunately, the service was not up to the same standard – it felt inattentive and a bit lacking. Overall, a good spot for the ambiance, but not the best choice if you’re looking for excellent.
EcM — Google review
In the hear of Vienna but still had a nice chill vibe where one can relax. Excellent service very friendly that makes everything taste better. Happy I decided to go there!
Thaer H — Google review
Unethical, unclear pricing and probably illegal. The menu presents you with an amount per glass, however when the waiter arrives you are told that it only represents 1/2 of a glass, if you want a full glass it is double price. WHO WANTS HALF A GLASS??! Be aware that any price forces you have half of any standard portion. I was not expecting this level of blunt theft in Vienna. 18€ for a glass of mediocre Resiling! Shameful and utterly unnecessary.
Carla A — Google review
The lady server at the bar and the sales lady at the shop were both very friendly and helpful in helping me pick an Austrian wine to try. Would recommend anybody who wanna try out Austrian wine while in here.
Man C — Google review
A huge selection of wine are sold on the basement floor, so especially if you’re a wine lover, it’s fun to have a walk around. The restaurant is also very spacious and the service staff are friendly and motivated. At lunch hour, it’s usually not so crowded but the cocktail hour is packed with people, so you may need to consider making reservations beforehand. Not just the drinks but the food is pretty good too :)

The flagship store in Vienna offers an extensive range of Manner products, including the famous Neapolitaner Schnitte No. 239 hazelnut wafer. Visitors can find various flavors and sizes, from mini to giant, making it a must-visit for chocolate enthusiasts.
Manner Wien near St. Stephen’s Cathedral is a must-visit for sweet lovers! The shop is charming, well-organized, and filled with classic Manner wafers and souvenirs. Staff are friendly, and prices are reasonable — perfect spot for authentic Viennese treats.

Cute little Manner shop. Packed with shoppers and all sorts of different Manners goodies. Although my cashier was quite rude. I asked her what was inside the tin box and she got all rude. 😒. Wasn’t easy to see every sign display in the store as it was packed with people. I almost put all my shopping back.

Well, a must visit shop when in Vienna. I noticed they have a brownie flavour now, since last time I visited, so I tried it and liked it. I think I prefer lemon though. It can be rare that you find better prices for Manner at the Vienna airport, if they have discounts.

A must stop if you’re in Vienna. You have to get the Viennese Manner waffer brand. It’s offered throughout Austria but this is the flagship store with a one stop shop of all the flavors and sizes from mini to giant. Some items are pricey but some are only offered here. I actually purchased the original flavor standard size pack of 4 at a local grocery store and it was cheaper. But if you want the different flavors and giant size, get it here. They also sell Mozart chocolate balls.

I wanted to like this store but had a terrible experience. A friend recommended I stop by as I work in the design industry. Upon arriving, I was greeted by an awkward sales person. They made me uncomfortable following me like a hawk but not offering help. They then chastised me for browsing the perfume cards, passive aggressively insisting not once, but twice, they help me with the bottles even though I was only looking at the cards. I left immediately. Product mix was not my taste and very expensive. Won't come back.
S T — Google review
Interesting store, unique design but ridiculously high prices! Very unfriendly staff who work, arrogant and look you from head to toe how you are dressed. To enter the shop, you must ring the bell.
Sanja D — Google review
The Song Store is a treasure for anyone who loves avant-garde style. Their clothing and accessories are full of character and originality, and even the homeware pieces feel like part of a carefully composed artwork. The staff are incredibly friendly and offer great consultation. They really take the time to understand your taste and help you find something special. The store itself is beautifully designed, with an interior that feels as artistic and inspiring as the pieces it showcases. There’s also wonderful art on display, which adds to the creative and immersive atmosphere. It’s one of those rare places where fashion, design, and art come together perfectly.
