Good food but nothing more, haven’t felt that special something. Not very large portions, but was enough to feel fed, at least for some time. Good service and nice atmosphere. Recommend to eat there, but bring cash, they don’t accept credit or debit cards 🤭

Some new flavor that we've never ever tried before. All dishes we choose is good to very good. We really like the knafeh dessert, which is very complex, different textures.

Really delicious and generous portions. The fries are home made and tasty. Spiced chicken was delicious. Pastrami sandwich really good too.

Neni used to be one of our favorite places cozy atmosphere, delicious breakfasts, and lots of fond memories. We often came here with my family and celebrated birthdays. Our absolute favorite was the pancakes with salted caramel, cream sauce, pecans, sesame seeds, and blueberries we had them regularly for over two years. But this time everything was ruined. The dish arrived without pecans or blueberries, served on cheap-looking tableware. After we pointed it out, the waiter brought the missing ingredients in a single sauce dish — clearly not enough for two portions. It felt like we were being tricked, and if we hadn’t known what the dish was supposed to look like, we might not have noticed at all. My daughter was especially disappointed, this place had sentimental value for her. It’s really sad to see the quality and attention to detail decline so much. Unfortunately, we no longer feel like coming back.

We enjoyed a tasty dinner at NENI. Our server named Give was amazing. Food arrived fast after ordering, portions were quite large. There were several vegetarian options on the menu. I recommend making a table reservation in advance. I would appreciate if they accepted card payment and not just cash. The chairs were quite uncomfortable, I recommend buying some pillows or smaller cushions and place them on the chairs for a more pleasant experience. We will be back next time we visit Vienna!

This is one of the authentic middle Eastern cuisine spot. We tried falafel, aubergine steak, Kunafa with yoghurt ice cream is worth trying. It balance the flavours. Highly recommended. Its cash only and ATM is located at 50m from the entry.

This was a nice Mediterranean restaurant. The service was great. Lots of staff members around and all seem to be helpful . The food quality was on point. The apps all great with the humus stealing the show for us. The main dishes did not disappoint and came out pretty fast. Try the Kunafeh but I would ask for it without the topping as it the flavors did not mix well with lemon yogurt or whatever that was. Majority of the seating is outside and they do have some shade areas but in the heat it did not help much and there is no air conditioning inside the restaurant. Overall food was great and recommend this place if you are visiting.

Overrated. The food was good. The boiled beef was tender. Portion is generous. We ordered the famous beef soup which others were offered pancakes at the end. And we came this. We didn’t receive it. 😔 (Even though the picture on the menu we showed him has it but they didn’t serve us). Water was never refilled. We asked for the bill and it never came. We had to walk up to the server 3 times to ask to pay so we can leave. After all this experience, the server still asked us straight forward to leave tip on the machine. We paid tip but regretted coming here regardless of warning from previous visitors that this is a tourist trap. Please do not take this as an insult, me and my friend have an honest opinion that the famous beef soup tastes just like typical Vietnamese Pho noodle bowl, just without fish sauce. I wouldn’t say we don’t recommend this place. The food is good. Just don’t expect anything more than regular restaurant would do.

I recently dined at your restaurant and, while the food was acceptable, I was quite disappointed with the way charges were handled. I would like to formally express my concerns regarding the following issues: 1. Double Charges (Cover Charge + Mandatory Service Fee) • I was charged a cover fee, which I accepted as standard practice. However, on top of that, a mandatory 10% service charge was added to the bill without prior notice. This was not communicated beforehand and felt excessive. 2. Unauthorized Dish Charge • I only ordered one beef soup, one schnitzel, and one bottle of cola, yet I was also charged for a potato salad that I did not order. I only realized this upon receiving the bill, which was very misleading. 3. Lack of Transparent Pricing • There was no clear indication that certain charges, such as the service fee or extra dishes, would be applied. It is standard practice for restaurants to clearly display pricing and inform customers in advance. While I appreciate the quality of the food, these pricing practices come across as deceptive and unprofessional. I kindly request an explanation for these additional charges and urge you to improve transparency in billing to ensure a fair and honest dining experience for all customers.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Plachutta Stammhaus! The tafelspitz was absolutely delicious perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Our waiter, Marko, was phenomenal friendly, attentive, and made the afternoon even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting an authentic Viennese meal!

We were disappointed by this restaurant. The Tafelspitz was served without spinach, and the waiter explained it had to be ordered separately for an extra charge — unlike in Plachutta Wollzeile, where I received it with spinach as usual. Bread and butter were also added to the bill as “Gedeck” without any prior notice; it would have been fair to inform guests beforehand. The only positive was the quiet atmosphere due to the remote location, but overall the service was weaker than in other Plachutta restaurants.

The beef soup is nice with all the side dishes. We ordered different choices of beef and general comments were that the taste of the food is good (though slightly more to the salty side). Services will say it’s okay, but guess there is room for improvement. When the food was delivered, the waiters helped to serve the soup first. When one of us decided to also start with the meat in the soup, was kind of chided by the waiter that we should wait and that he will serve us (which took quite some time before it was done). While we appreciate the traditional “steps” and service, but guess the restaurant should give some latitude for guests to eat the way they want, or that you serve faster. Just an honest opinion. Nonetheless, overall we enjoyed the lunch.

The boiled beef was very delicious, especially the soup. The was really no doubt in the quality of this dish. However this restaurant is kind of pricey, given the fact that couvert was ca 5 euros per person and the “add-on” of the soup for people to share required was not a small charge.

Traditional Austrian food. It’s worth trying. Service is good and staff are attentive and helpful. We tried the carpaccio and its really fresh and tasty. For the main we tried to meat and soup plate which is very local but we like it. The waitress explained to is how to eat it. Great experience trying this local place. Recommended.

In summer times, it can be very hot inside as the place is not air conditioned. The food is ok. It is imitation of Japanese cuisine. They use sauces that are not used in real Japanese rolls. Prices are not adequate to what you get for the value of your money.

Great vegetarian options and drinks. Everything we ordered was delicious, would definitely come back and recommend. Quite busy, reservation is best.

We visited this restaurant with high expectations after seeing it featured on Michelin’s website, and overall, it was a memorable experience with both highs and lows. We started with some sushi: the Surf & Turf and the Hamachi Tiradito. The Surf & Turf was pleasant but not particularly exciting, while the Hamachi completely blew us away. It was truly unique, and definitely one of the highlights of the evening. Next came the Kushiyaki mix. Here, the skewered meats were a bit underwhelming—slightly dry and lacking the punch we had hoped for. In contrast, the vegetable skewers were a delight. The flavors of the marinade had soaked beautifully into the vegetables, making them the real stars of the dish. The Tori Karaage was another standout. Large pieces of chicken, perfectly crispy on the outside yet wonderfully juicy on the inside, served with a tasty dipping sauce—it was everything you want from karaage and more. Finally, the Burnt Lemongrass Chicken was nothing short of spectacular. Bold, aromatic, and incredibly flavorful, this dish alone made the entire experience worthwhile. On the drinks side, the wine list was impressively extensive. I struck gold with my very first choice: the Tsoulikouri 2023. It was so good that I happily stuck with it for the rest of the evening, enjoying four glasses in total. Highly recommended. In the end, while not every dish lived up to our lofty expectations, the highlights more than compensated. Some bites were simply good, while others were out of this world. All in all, a very enjoyable evening.

Worth a 5 stars in food, but the service wasn’t as much as expected to get 5 stars. Order was missing and the host apologize quickly without a real apoligy and demeaning attitude . However the service was impeccable in timing and elegance. Music was very high and techno / house like, not ideal at lunch, and the decor is not that impressive or close to that. We took the daily menu with a very well balanced miso soup, the deep fried shrimps where not that original however, edamame where served with a very nice touch of horseradish, the meat seers and chicken swedes where good but not impressive at all. And the menu proposed way too much of teriyaki sauce. A sauce that is not refined whatsoever in my taste. Bottom line hat to the chef, bit too expensive for our expectations .

Have been here twice and both times do not disappoint. The miso spinach and karaage are my favorites. Can get in walking up but better to make reservation.

The house where Beethoven once resided and wrote his famed Ninth Symphony now turned to a wine house and bistro. Known as "Beethoven's Heuriger" it has even created a special wine called "Beethoven Viennese White" to honor the composer. The house is a protected historical landmark, and visitors to the winery can still see the rooms where Beethoven lived. The setting has been described as being so well-preserved that it feels as if time has stood still, with many details from Beethoven's own descriptions of the surroundings still visible today.

Stunning and lovely place. So tranquil and relaxing. Amazing food, amazing wine and great service. I saw in the other reviews that prices were high, which is complete nonsense. Not sure what those people did, but the prices are very good and any other claim should not be taken serious. The service is also top. A must visit in Vienna.

A must go in Vien. You can see tradition, history and good food altogether. Definitely recommend. A tip for the wine tasting: it’s overpriced, although all wines are good.

Very disappointed 😞 Even though the location itself is great, beautiful outside seating area, the service was horrendous. The waiters barely came over our table even though the place was not busy. When I asked about the wine, the waitress was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful, basically told I should just order and see how it tastes 🤦‍♀️ Same at the buffet - the serving lady couldn't explain what half of the cheeses were. The food was ok, but overall, it was pretty pricy - both the food and the wine. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

Well worth the trip out from central Vienna. Delicious food all sourced locally in a stunning location with a fascinating history. Wines from the proprietor’s own vineyards. Highly recommend the ribs!

Food: We had cordon bleu, ribs and the fried chicken. We all felt food was good overall. 4 stars because the lack of oomph, good but not special. Service: Staff are not the most attentive perhaps due to the crowd, but friendly and open to asking for help. Overall good. They did mix our orders a few times which I feel could be due to language barrier. I felt we should have been given a bigger table given the amount we ordered. I had to play tetris with my food to make space myself. 3 stars for meeting expectations, not terrible. We were challenged once for the repeated wrong order, which we felt was abit defensive, but we also knew from our interaction that English isn’t their usual language so i’m not offended and I think they understood too. They did try service recovery which we appreciate. Atmosphere: Well suited place for a taste of the scene as per what you will read about this place. Abit of a bustle but the lively sort, so i’m not complaining, it adds to the experience.

The restaurant was a delightful experience. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the wonderful chanterelle dishes. Each plate showcased the earthy and rich flavors of the mushrooms, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. To complement our meal, we enjoyed some of the inexpensive yet quality wine options available, which paired perfectly with our food. The atmosphere added to the charm of our visit. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. We particularly enjoyed the terrace, where we could relax and savor our meal in a lovely outdoor setting. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience that I highly recommend.

We absolutely love the experience. Delicious food, the Georgian salad and khachapuri are a must. Great variety of the menu. We’ve got great help in choosing the wine and it was very good. Highly recommend the place for a romantic dinner or for time alone.

Visited Café Ansari for brunch and had the Oriental breakfast, while my companion chose the Georgian. Both dishes were fresh, flavourful and well-balanced. Sitting outside in the mild spring sunshine added to the pleasant, slightly Parisian atmosphere. A lovely place for a relaxed brunch in Vienna.

The restaurant offers an Georgian dishes, adapted for a European audience. We ordered the Georgian & Oriental breakfast, khinkali, homemade lemonade, and iced latte. Everything was truly tasty! The hummus in the Oriental breakfast was especially delicious, smooth and flavorful. The khinkali were juicy and well-prepared. Prices are above average, but the portion sizes are not particularly large, so the value for money could be improved. Unfortunately, the service was lacking the staff seemed disorganized, and we had to wait quite a while before anyone came to take our order. That did impact the overall experience

Truly the best taco’s in vienna by far. Not only is the staff extremely kind and welcoming but definitely know what they are doing in the taco department. Simply perfect. Very reasonably priced and the fact that you can choose your own toppings is the chili ;) on top

All the Tacos are delicious I tried all of them, the frozen margaritas are good and they have a wide variety of beers. I really loved the toppings counter since is the Mexican style ☺️ the ambiance and decoration is beautiful, the salsas are spicy and tasty. You have to stop by to eat authentic Mexican tacos here! Btw I am Mexican and I can say it tastes like Mexico 🇲🇽🌮🥰

Definitely authentic Mexican food with good offer. Checks out in most aspects as other authentic places in Europe - has majority of imported goods from Mexico. Unfortunately no option for washing hands, kinda important fact considering that tacos should be eaten using hands. Place has very nice design touches and it’s a shame it’s developed just as fast food concept. Wishing all the best and would be coming back if I’m in the area.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and had the best meal! The shop is small and only has high top tables so it’s great for a small group (we were a group of 9 and still made it work)! The meals change often but there are always 5 to choose from. If they have the Birria, GET IT! Toppings are all added on your own which is amazing!

I got only one as a tester but I can confirm that it was delicious. This was so worth it and I'd definitely recommend getting more than one because this was great!!! Also the sauces were 10/10. There was a nice little bit of spice but it wasn't too crazy and added to the overall flavour of everything.

This was my first experience, and I will be back! I had the carnitas tacos, which were freshly and expertly prepared. The meat was perfectly cooked! They have a bar to load up your own toppings (i.e. onions, cilantro, etc., etc.). As an American living in Vienna, finding the best tacos is an imperative, and this may be the spot. I'll be back!

Nice pastry and sandwiches..everything was delicious..but...... I hate being served a chipped cup for my tea. When I want to ask for the waiter to change my cup, he was no longer around and kept moving to other part of the cafe. It's not nice to have to be super anxious about where you put your lips every time you want to drink your tea. I thought, that it should be a standard, at least, for a high-end cafe like this to NOT serve their customer with chipped cup however small it is.

Very popular place cause it was recommend in Michelin Guide - so making reservations is probably a good idea. I was seated in the area with a merch and goos signed by the restaurant. I've had a Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad - very tender meat with a sourish salad which for me was a nice balance. Also had a small sandwiches (with tuna and black pudding) which you can choose from the display - my personal favorite was that with black pudding. Overall I was very happy with the visit.

This spot came highly recommended by a local, and we spotted a Michelin Bib Gourmand sign in the back window—pretty impressive! My partner and I visited this morning, and it delivered. The ambiance is classy, like a refined café, nestled in a busy, upscale part of town with a sophisticated buzz. We had two courses, each item in order of preference: Smoked Salmon with Cream Cheese on Bread – Silky salmon, creamy spread, and a standout start. Egg with Mayo on Bread – Simple yet tasty, with a nice richness. Shrimp Open-Faced Sandwich – Fresh and good, though the bread stole some of the show. (Note: The bread is softer and white-floured, more refined than Buffet Trzesniewski’s.) Austrian Boiled Beef Tafelspitz – Excellent with horseradish, a hearty highlight. Vegetarian Pasta – Great texture, though the name escapes me—still enjoyable. Overall, it’s a solid pick with a polished vibe and great flavors. Worth a stop if you’re in the area!

Probably the best place to enjoy drinks and food in Vienna. Beautiful Jugendstil interior, delicious food, great home-made pastries and fantastic wine.

A tourist trap. Some locals come here and basically the waiters are serving all the locals first. A lot of waiters spend a lot of time talking to local customers and unfortunately I had to wait over 10 minutes to get a waiter after a long vocal discussion among them. Our table of 11 was imposed a 10% tip that resulted in about 55€ total for a low and unprofessional level of service. Unless you are prepared to sustain a treatment as the classic tourist to be exploited, this place has nothing special to offer. Most wines are very much overpriced.

A terrible experience! Mark was incredibly rude and unprofessional—no smile, no acknowledgment, and no basic courtesy. He completely ruined what could have been a pleasant visit. I would never recommend this place as long as its staff are like this.

A delightful historic restaurant in the heart of Vienna. We sat inside the restaurant as the terrace was full at lunchtime. It was a welcome air con room on a hot day, with beautiful crisp white linen tables laid for lunch. The white asparagus soup with a hint of lobster was delicious. I ordered the shrimp cocktail which was mouthwatering and a large portion of shrimp. The waiter was very friendly ( some are quite stern in Vienna) recommending wine to accompany my husband’s fish platter. Beautiful art nouveau lamps wall tiles and friezes decorate this very popular restaurant. If you haven’t had enough of Zum Schwarzen Kameel you can visit their in-house deli shop and take home more goodies!

We were seated inside amid the bustle and bric-a-brac. We ordered the big breakfast - a perfectly cooked boiled egg, five delicious breads, pickles, cheeses, meats, orange juice, sparkling wine, cake, butter and jam. Plus coffee. It's a fun place. Attentive an friendly staff. Worth a detour.

This is a really nice, cozy cafe with a great atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Let's talk about the cakes: they were truly amazing. I highly recommend trying them. They're definitely the highlight! The service system is a little unique: you have to buy tokens from the waiter, which you then exchange for the cake of your choice at the counter. It worked fine, but be prepared for that step. The coffee was okay-ish (nothing special, but totally drinkable). Just be warned, this place gets crowded. If you don't have a reservation, expect to wait a little for a table, but honestly, the cakes make the wait worth it!

What a cute and lovely experience to step into this cafe. Very warm and welcoming staff. Really nice coffee. Nice, simple and healthy cooking of dishes. Really cute idea to get a token to order a slice of cake directly at the counter.

As I understand it, this café has a social mission - that’s probably the only thing that can justify such high prices for everything. The coffee is good, and the cake is tasty too. The breakfast with a sandwich is quite ordinary, nothing special. The atmosphere itself is unusual; you can spend a long time looking around - there are lots of little details. It’s worth booking a table in advance, even on a weekday.

Love the concept very good history behind it. However for tourists , to understand how to get one of the best cakes . You have to read the menu ,purchase an item and then ask for a TOKEN to approach for a cake. It would help to be told once you are given a table or a sign explaining before you sit, instead of waiting to be told you have to read the menu to understand. Hard for tourists for sure. Overall amazing pastries.

As a tourist, we understand that there is a language barrier however it is so sad that the server was so annoyed by us. We try to be nice and smile and they don’t even care about it. I think that they need to have more patience to everyone. Also, it is a not a competition to eat fast. The food was not good, the recommendation was horrible and the coffee was terrible. We told her that I wasn’t that hungry and she insisted to order the breakfast for 2. The only thing that I like is the ambiance and the decoration, super cool. If you go, do not focus on service. Just order what you believe you would like

We were in Vienna for a few days for my Mum's 60th birthday, and decided to drop into the Vollpension having seen it on TV in the UK. It most definitely lived up to expectations - we ate the buchtel and it was delicious, and the atmosphere of the place is so quaint and cosy, you really do feel like you're in Granny's living room! The highlight was the staff - so welcoming and so chatty, and when they found out it was Mum's birthday, it wasn't long before a free cake with a candle was coming out and they were singing happy birthday to her! Such a treat, and a definite highlight of our trip. A hidden gem that I would recommend to anyone visiting Vienna!

Worth a visit—offers really high-quality, though high-priced, goods. Great spot for finding gifts for special occasions. However, it felt wasteful that they used two bags for every customer. Why not have more practical, sturdy bags that can hold heavy items and just use one instead?

This store has to be the gold standard in luxury food, coffee, wine, and pastries etc. A fantastic place to shop, the best of everything . Staff were very helpful in making recommendations. jo if you're in Vienna don't miss the store. It's in the heart of the city and has a little café also.

A wonderful spot in central Vienna. Delicious coffees and cakes and a good people watching spot whilst sipping on a melange! If you’re into Viennese coffee culture with a modern style, this is your go-to place.

Although the shop offers a lot of things that you won't find anywhere else in Vienna and most of the staff is very polite and helpful, I wish I could say the same about the cashier(s). They Lack good manners and should be trained better. Before my products were scanned, I told the lady that bags the groceries in, that I won't need a bag, She confirmed and kept on chatting with the cashier, who not once looked up, greeted or did anything similar to treat me like a customer. Her first look at me was when asking for the money, completely halfhearted, while her colleague put my groceries in a bag...what I explicitly asked not to do. When I asked for unpacking, she apologizeed. This kind of behavior seems to be normal nowadays (the customer as annoyance making background noises, haha ..) and I was hoping, that Meinl am Graben would be one of the last positive exceptions. Unfortunately, it's not. As a Viennese I am disappointed and so another customer lost to international online shopping...

shopping store with overpriced hyped name brands from around the world selling mostly chocolate and beverages with a very small practical grocery section that is masquerading as a gourmet store. Only plus: stocks caviar. Edit: realised what I was comparing this with so had to add that for most of Europe, it is understandable why this would be considered amazing. Compared to regular grocery stores this would seem exotic. But compared to some stores in metros in India, this isn't that great.

The experience was underwhelming, though I’ll start with the positive—the wine was quite good and definitely a highlight. The food, however, didn’t meet expectations. The couscous tasted like it was pre-packaged rather than freshly made, the dessert wasn’t great (a store-bought chocolate mousse might have been better), and the cheeses didn’t leave much of an impression. Service was also slower than we’d hoped. It felt like everything took a long time—whether it was getting drinks or food. At one point, a waiter left in the middle of a conversation and didn’t return, which wasn’t ideal. While we did enjoy the wine, the overall experience didn’t feel worth the price. It’s unlikely we’d return, but perhaps others might have a better experience.

We had a nice experience taking the vegetarian 3-course dinner! We loved the accompanying wines as well. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant (with classical music!). And most importantly good food: nice tastes and nice presentation!

I visited Vienna from Tokyo, Japan to see opera in April and November 2024. At white asparagus season, based on our Japanese tour guidebook, we chose this restaurant for dinner. Fresh and delicately prepared asparagus salad (photo)was very tasty, worthwhile coming from the Far East. Samon was also good. In November I revisited this restaurant alone for lunch. Today’s fish menu for 2 courses was more than enough (photos). The rate was reasonable by Austrian standard (not for me due to our extremely weak currency, though). Booking was easily done both times. In April due to the sudden and lastminute cancellation of Austrian Airways flight (as always!), we couldn’t make it on a promised time. Our hotel concierge kindly asked them to delay our arrival, and we were warmly welcomed. This time in November, although I was a solo guest, the staffer kindly prepared my place. Often in Europe, colored guests are put at uncomfortable seats, such as those near the toilet or the entrance. It was a less busy time, but here I felt I was equally treated by the whole staff as each of them said “hello” to me with nice smile. So not only the food but also the atmosphere deserves 5 stars. Last but not least, their toilet was shiningly clean! Thank you^^

We went here for an early dinner after a long day of wine tasting in Wachau and it was close to our hotel. Had no reservation at 5.45, but service said we could have a table until 7.00. They serve mostly vegetarian and vegan dishes but also have a few meat and fish dishes on the menu. The atmosphere was very modern and chic, the service was impeccable, and the food was great. This a wonderful place to eat if you want a break from traditional Austrian food. Highly recommend.

A quiet place with organic food that is a little lighter than many other restaurants in Vienna. Very green and fresh, and everything is done with care. A good choice if you want to eat a little healthier without compromising on taste.

What a fantastic experience! Being honest I am not sure I would have considered a vegetarian and fish restaurant but came in based on reviews. It was absolutely delicious. Ate three dishes off the fixed menu and each was amazing ! Nice portion size and very fresh tasting. The bream was really good. Sat outside in a lovely warm September evening. Perfect atmosphere. The waiting staff were extremely professional, polite and attentive. Highly recommend!

Phenomenal! All the food was delicious, small and considered menu with spectacular flavors. The cocktails and wine selection was amazing, we tried quite a few and nothing disappointed. Would recommend over and over. One of our highlight dining experiences in Vienna.

The atmosphere was great. The staff provided fast and polite service. The cocktails were really good. I had the steak, and it was very well-prepared and delicious. The appetizers were also extremely tasty. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone planning to visit.

Decent food but nothing to shout out about to be frank. The beef tartare is rather average and didn’t stand out whilst the accompanying bread was also pretty average. Their golden cod is a well cooked piece but the sauce and accompanying salad doesn’t stand out either. Their take on a snickers dessert does get points for creativity and is decent. Service is attentive and friendly so that’s a plus.

Lovely restaurant located outside the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Food was delicious, the menu is small and is more a sharing style. We got a few plates to share, which were unusual but really tasty. The schnitzel was so fresh & thin! Staff were very friendly and attentive. We sat outside, however the indoor area looked cool too.

We visited this restaurant for the first time, and I must say we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, and the appetizers were outstanding in both quality and quantity. I had the Wiener Schnitzel, and it was exactly as you would expect to get one in Vienna. On top of that, the service was extremely friendly and attentive. Great cozy dinner spot. Attentive service and good food. Surprisingly delicious spinach salad with a juicy jalapeño and passion fruit dressing — I’ve never tasted such a refreshing and light salad before!

I ordered everything on the menu (we were a big group) and here’s what i would recommend 🙂 - the asparagus, simply delicious - raw salmon ceviche - truffle gnocchi - the fish with beans down the earth food and overall great vibe!

We’ve been here a few times and tried various dishes—from granola to avocado desserts. The taste is decent but nothing extraordinary. Service is average, and prices match the city center. It’s a good option for a quick bite or a casual meeting in a place with plenty of seating, but nothing more. However, we did get stale bread a couple of times, and the fresh mint in the tea wasn’t so fresh.

We managed to find seats without a reservation. The staff was friendly, but I was not impressed with the cuisine and specifically the burger. The meat was tasty, but the lack of vegetables (tomato and pickles) and sauce (which was separate) gave it a dry taste. For a restaurant with such a high rating, I expected a larger assortment of beer.

The location is beautiful with an outside terrace lined with fragrant flowers and beautiful greenery adding some privacy from the street. It has a view of an awe inspiring statue and several baroque buildings. The food is visually appealing as well as delicious. We got the avocado Benedict, florentine Benedict, and Brioche French toast. The hollandaise was warm and creamy and the English muffins were perfectly crispy. There was a lime crème on the French toast that was absolutely divine. The service to order and get our food was quick and the staff are very friendly and helpful but when we asked for the check we were forgotten for about 15 mins but that was fine because the view and atmosphere were so relaxing.

Great place in the heart of the city. We tried the avo benedict, breakfast burger and the shakshuka. Everything was delicious. We also had espresso macchiato and melange. The coffee was really good, however the matcha was sweetened, which was not mentioned in the menu and it tasted like a dessert- not a fan.

Good food, hip place with an international menu. I ate the papaya salad with salmon. It was very tasty and healthy. The shrimp dish was good but very small portion. We needed more bread to fill up.

Nice place but my aubergine was the size of a credit card and just as thin. Had to have two portions of chips and a salad to try and make it into a meal.

They had some nice summer specials that were just right for hot weather- different salads. The fruit drinks were good and not too sweet. The service was good but slow- it took me time to get something I needed from time to time. But they are friendly and willing to serve. The apple strudel was good. It was worth getting. I have had better but definitely it was good. The whipped cream is not real whipped cream but it tasted good. I also like that the restaurant is at street level as that was convenient with my special needs son. The walls have posters of current and past things going on in the city. It is fun to look around and see them and see what this city puts together for entertainment.

Came here for the Apple Strudel, reach about 7.30pm. Still has few tables available, no waiting is required. The Goulash soup is nice. Apple strudel filling is fabulous but the sweetness level is slightly at the over sweet (as I prefer less sweet). One thing I recommend the restaurant is to install some fan to keep the air circulated or switch on the air conditioner, as we are sweating & most other customers also fan for air. Waiter told me tips is a must for this restaurant.

It’s a good place overall: the food was tasty and the schnitzel was really good: crispy and with a thin batter. That said, it’s a bit pricier than average. They seem to target tourists by automatically adding a 10% tip, and even tap water costs €0.80. Because of those things, it doesn’t feel like a great place to me. But if you don’t mind the extra charges, the food itself is definitely tasty!

We took part in a guided tour and our guide Michael recommended this place and because he was born in Vienna and obviouslyhas lived here so we followed his advice. Great atmosphere, awesome food and such a helpful waiter who patiently survived my basic German. We ate schnitzel, kartifeln, drank a lot of water and Wiener coffee. I can recommend it as well. It was worth visiting.

I came in around noon, had a breakfast maybe one of the best Eggs Hollandaise I've had 🥰 The staff are nice, the atmosphere is cozy and rustic. The authenticity of this place is a charm! They also have posters on all the upcoming events, good catch!

Kaffee Alt Wien certainly delivers on the authentic, old-school Viennese coffee house atmosphere—the setting is the best part of the experience. We were seated immediately and the server was pleasant, though not particularly warm. I ordered the Schnitzel to try the local fare. The preparation was technically correct (the coating separated, indicating hot oil), but the dish itself was unfortunately not that good and felt quite average. Given the quality of the meal, it's not cheap here. For the price point and overall value, I won’t be coming back again. Come only if the historic, non-touristy atmosphere is your main priority.

I tried the Apfelstrudel, but I didn’t like it. The apples inside were too sour, and the cream served on the side didn’t complement the dessert well. I paid €7, which didn’t feel worth it. The place was crowded, but we got a table without waiting. However, it was quite stuffy inside, and the atmosphere felt gloomy. Overall, it wasn’t an enjoyable experience.

Croissant is absolutely delicious, the coffee is excellent, and the food was very enjoyable. It’s best to make a reservation—otherwise, you might end up sharing the large communal table with other guests!

We stopped by to have a late lunch meal. I ordered spinach and salmon quiche with salad which was truly delicious. The overall impression with French 1930's music, sitting by the window, was worth for trying. A cosy little restaurant which deserves to be visited one more time.

For a sweet girls' day, we chose this place. Had been here before and we loved the food and atmosphere. And this time it was perfect as well! Miss Cicilia, the serving lady (i apologise for the wrong spelling) was very polite and nice. As someone who worked in customer services, i understand how tough it can be, and remaing polite and nice to people can be maybe tiring. Seeing Cicilia's professional attitude made me appreciate her work even more. Thank you! Will definitly come again.🎀

It's the sort of place that has a lot of potential, pretty much everything in their favour to be great but something is missing. It's clearly overpriced and the waiter outside was in a rush for everything with very little care or pride in his job. Hospitality in this sort of places should be glamorous and the client should feel special. It can't be just the hefty price tag that elevates the place. Shame really. On the other hand the waitress was lovely and very professional

Walk into this coffee shop by chance in search of delicious coffee. I couldn't immediately find the name of this establishment, as the menu shows a completely different name. The price of the eclair dessert is that it is delicious, but for such a price it would be possible to present it in a more interesting way than just putting it on a plate. How about coffee? Delicious. The waiters are friendly and dressed neatly and elegantly. The big downside is that they only accept cash. Which is not very convenient for visitors. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy. Quiet and calm music is playing. The facility is not new, so don't expect everything to be perfect here. I don't think this institution will be my favorite. But it is clear that the owners are trying best.

When you order a baguette sandwich from a French restaurant, you expect the bread to be the highlight. Typical good French baguette bread is crunchy and browned on the outside. What Le Bol served was an offense to French cuisine - their roast beef baguette sandwich involved a THIN and PALE bread, with a tiny amount of roast beef. And it was over 13 euros...I cannot believe a French bistro would serve this. And just to show in comparison (see photo) the side of bread we received with our salad was what should have been for our sandwich: thick and crunchy with a brown baguette crust. I don't understand why Le Bol cheaped out on the baguette sandwich - yet the side bread they give you is the better option? Never coming here again. A disgrace.

Excellent place to get a delicious vegan experience made of starters, main entries and desserts. Everything was scrumptious. I think for 57€/person is ok, but I would have preferred less dishes but two portions each. All of the food was intended to be shared so only one portion of each course.

The most delicious vegan food one can find! I went here with my family of 4 for my birthday and the food really did exceed my expectations. We booked a table and although it said, that the spot was only reserved for 2 hours, we stayed for more than 4. So don’t worry about that! They have plenty room, also for groups and everything is friendly and clean. Food wise: The sharing plate concept is such a nice twist, as you can try and eat as much as you want. Everything was beautiful and combined so many ingredients that you would normally not eat that way. The dessert was heaven, and after they asked us if we liked a dish especially and brought us another portion without extra price. You can choose vegan or vegetarian- but actually everything is vegan except the butter and one dessert. Worth all the money and perfect for any festivities.

I had reserved this restaurant based on our visit to Vienna and really wanted to try it out. We chose chef's tasting menu and there were three courses with multiple dishes. The freshness of ingredients and individual taste of each ingredient in the dish could be easily tasted. Even though everything was impeccable, we really liked the gazpacho and cheesecake. And the quantity was more than enough for the two of us. Everytime a dish came the servers explained the dishes and the ingredients.

Great place for Vegans as you can choose either a vegan or vegetarian course menu. The dishes were all delicious and extremely well-balanced in flavours with some delicious surprises (olive granola for dessert). Overall, slightly too many pastes/saucy meals, would have appreciated a slightly lighter meal on this hot June day, with some changes in consistency. Still an excellent meal. The one minus was that they gave us actual butter, which I ate until I noticed it's not vegan. This should not happen in a specialised restaurant and the young waiter, although well-meaning was more confused than anything and the header waiter apologized properly though.

The best customer service we have had in Europe, by far, with kind and attentive staff. The vegan menu (which is pre-set, no dishes are a la carte) was delicious and filling, perfect for those who enjoy sharing plates of food, which is our favorite! The highlight for me was the risotto, which was so rich! We paid 60€ each and felt it was totally worth it!

Amazing restaurant! Nice atmosphere, we were seated on the terrace on a beautiful summer evening. The food is delicious, with great variety of vegetarian dishes. Everything tastes very fresh and flavorful with nice surprises. Our favorites were the portobello, and both desserts. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended, this was the most special vegetarian/vegan dining experience I have had. Although not cheap, the fixed menu is a great value for the quality and quantity of food that is included. The restaurant offers a single fixed menu that varies based on season. Option to choose between vegetarian or vegan menu, although nearly all of the dishes are vegan (at least when I visited). Service was also very good, with friendly and attentive wait staff explaining the dishes. I will definitely visit again next time I am in Vienna.

I didn’t have a reservation and was alone, but they kindly offered me a seat at the counter. The staff was welcoming, and the service was excellent. The food is truly delicious. The atmosphere is warm. I’d definitely go back and highly recommend it!

Very Austrian style restaurant with delicious Viennese schnitzel, traditional atmosphere and attentive staff. We tried organic veal schnitzel and salad and everything was really tasty. Portions are very big. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for traditional Austrian cuisine.

All my kosher, halal and chicken lover friends !! Finally - a GREAT chicken-schnitzel in Vienna. They call it here breaded-chicken but it’s the same. DO NOT skip the mous cake - it’s amazing. This is not a touristic place at all, it’s local with a local vibe, a true gem, I recommend you make a reservation in advance. Enjoy !!

Wien schnitzel is so big but good that I still managed to finish it 😆 try their mixed salad! It’s really good, and big also! Not a touristy place. I found most of the customers are locals. Worth it to visit but make a reservation if you can!

We ended up here completely by accident, but it turned out to be worth a visit. We wondered if there would be any vegetarian options, but yes, there were, and they were quite tasty. And of course, the schnitzel was very good. We highly recommend this place!

This is a typical Viennese restaurant. They offer good food to reasonable prices. We had the veal schnitzel, and it was very, very good. For me, it was even better than the one at Figlmüller and the likes. Unfortunately, we ordered a cake and it never arrived. After letting the waiter know, he instantly brought it, and it was on the house. What I want to say with this is: mistakes happen and the reaction of the staff was perfect. Going again in 2 weeks!

The place had a very beautiful atmosphere. We went on Saturday night, so it was quite crowded and our order came late. The café latte was tasty, but the foam could have been less since it took up more than half of the cup. Unfortunately, the staff was not friendly. This is for me one of the best places for brunch in Vienna. It’s right next to the Votivkirche, which makes it more special also. The food is great, the service is very good, even if they’re busy they’re very nice and attentive. Hats off to Alvaro!

great location, great food and menu. had beef medallions with wild garlic risotto and it was fantastic. very nice and warm days to sit outside or at the window, moderate traffic but not too distracting. have been here a few times over the years and it’s always been great.

Unfortunately, I left quite disappointed. I had been looking forward to visiting this place for a long time—it’s quite a journey from where we live, and my expectations were high. On a positive note, the ambience is lovely, both indoors and outside. The setting definitely sets the stage for a great experience. However, the food fell short. The fish and chips were probably the best dish we ordered, and even that was just average. The batter was thick and lacked the satisfying crispness that defines good fish and chips. The fries were quite greasy and underwhelming. The paella was especially disappointing—the rice was undercooked and there was no sign of the golden crust (socarrat) that gives this dish its character. The lamb skewers were tiny (individual pieces were like 1.5 cm cubes) —and unsurprisingly, the meat itself was dry. Service was slow, even though it was a quiet Monday evening, and overall, the prices felt unjustified given the quality of food and service. Sadly, despite the great atmosphere, we won’t be returning. 😔

Stunning location on the Alte Donau. This has become our favourite restaurant along the river, as they offer a great mix of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. The staff are very kind, the dishes are served with care, and the flavours are good. The portions aren’t very large for the price, but I personally prefer quality over quantity.

You definitely need to reserve a table on weekends , it gets quite busy. I really liked the quality of the food; it was tasty and well-seasoned. The staff were nice, though they could use a few more people on busy days. Parking can be a bit tricky, so it’s better to come by metro (get off at the “Nußdorf” stop and walk a bit) or park on the back street. It’s a charming place, and although the prices are slightly above average, it’s totally worth it for the atmosphere.The portion sizes were quite small for the price.

Disappointing Experience Despite Beautiful Setting – Das Bootshaus Wien I recently visited Das Bootshaus Wien with my family to celebrate my husband's birthday. I had made a reservation well in advance and even followed up by email to confirm specific arrangements for the occasion—such as a specially prepared table and pre-selected wine. I received a written confirmation, so I expected everything to be ready. Unfortunately, when we arrived, none of the agreed preparations had been made. There was no wine waiting, and the table was not set up as requested. On top of that, we waited over 30 minutes just to place our order. Although there were many staff members present, the service was disorganized and lacked coordination. It felt chaotic and inattentive throughout the evening. The food itself was good, and the view is undeniably beautiful, but the overall experience was greatly diminished by poor service and long wait times. It's a shame because with better organization and attention to detail, this could have been a truly special evening.

The location is splendid — right on the Danube bank, with a beautiful view of the river. I had the fish soup, possibly the best I’ve ever had, and the fish and chips were also very good. The staff were nice overall, but many of the interns responsible for clearing tables didn’t seem very attentive, which took away a bit from the otherwise great experience. Still, the food and setting make it well worth a visit!

The best restaurant by the alte donau, after trying many places the last 12 years. They have a perfect eiskaffee, fish and chips, lemonades and many other menu options. I definitely recommend this place for a chill date, or bigger groups if you reserve.

Mamamon’s one of those places you keep hearing about. Locals talk it up. A tiny spot with real charm, the kind of place you want to like before you’ve even sat down. Service was friendly, easygoing, but really slow. But you let it slide, because the vibe’s good and, when the food finally lands, it delivers. The fries? Great. Crispy, golden, dangerously addictive, the kind you keep reaching for without thinking. The Pad Thai was a pleasant surprise. Balanced, bright, with shrimp cooked just right, tender, no rubbery chew, which happens more often than it should. Now the chicken wings… texturally, a masterpiece. That crispy skin you can hear across the table. Flavor-wise? Not totally my thing, but my friend went absolutely feral for them. So maybe it’s me. Overall, great food, good energy, a little slow on the draw, but worth the wait. A place that earns its reputation, mostly.

The glass noodle salad is a bit on the salty side for me, I expect there’s a mix of sweetness and freshness from the dressing. I mixed the sauce from chives cake to the glass noodle salad for that “fresh kick” and it worked out. And glass noodle salad are lacking of the vegie itself, more of a glass noodle with mince pork only. Service is nice. Atmosphere and setting is very nice too. Cozy and comfortable. Sat outside on Vienna warm day. Best!

We got the cosmic fries, pork basil rice with egg and the tom yam khao soi. The rice felt slightly overcooked but the serving portion of minced meat and rice was generous; it was also spicy enough for our Asian tastebuds. The tom yam soup was less spicy and more on the sour side, with a strong coconut milk aroma. The noodles got soggy quickly so you got to eat quick! The fries was crispy, hot and addictive; great spices! The lady who attended to us was also friendly and even introduced us to the bottled beers they had. Cosy and nice place!

Nice spot for cosy, authentic Thai food! Waitress was very friendly. In winter you obviously can’t sit outside and the indoor space is small and stuffy so be prepared to smell A LOT like food afterwards 😅

Santos in Vienna is a solid pick if you’re in the mood for Mexican-ish cuisine : good food, good drinks, good atmosphere. It’s especially strong if you go during quieter times or happy hour. If you’re very particular about attention to detail or want a super quiet dinner, there might be occasional frustrations.

Seems a really authentic Mexican restaurant, very popular and looking at the atmosphere it's understandable. Food is good quality, well seasoned. Tortillas with cheese were tasty the enchiladas were a little plain to me but the beanpaste was on the spot. Quesadillas here are 2 tortillas put together as a sandwich, it was quite spicy but tasted good too. Service was attentive, timing was alright, I would return 😊

Really tasty Mexican food and a super nice atmosphere! The place has a great vibe, especially in the evening. It does get pretty crowded sometimes, so it can get a bit loud. Reserving a spot in advance seems to be a good idea, I did at least so we had no issues getting a table, all this without waiting. The staff are super friendly and helpful, though they seem a bit rushed now and then — our main dishes came out before we even finished the appetizers. Still, overall a really good experience! Great food, lovely ambiance, and the streets around the restaurant are beautiful to walk through after dinner. Definitely worth checking out!

Good to have a reservation, especially in the weekend, as it's quite a popular place. Amazing Mexican food with very big portions - taking a starter was a mistake, as then there was no chance to finish main dish ;) They also have nice cocktails and friendly service, the food is served very quickly. For sure we'll be back :)

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was fresh and flavorful, with a good variety of options on the menu. I ordered the oysters which were extremely fresh and came with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. I also ordered Greek bread and the Ribeye steak, which was cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Prices were reasonable for the quality. I’d definitely come back again and recommend it to others looking for a solid place to eat.

very tasty food and friendly staff! we ordered the tzatziki avocado, moussaka and frito misto to share with 3 people. we also got a sarti spritz and 2 campari spritz, delicious! i think an order went wrong somewhere; a few drinks got put on our table without us ordering that amount of drinks. they brought us our new drinks and the rest was on the house! the baklava was very sweet (as it should be) but the vanilla ice cream balanced it out very well. every dish was good and the service was very fast ☺️ i definitely recommend coming here if you're visiting Vienna!

The dinner was amazing. It’s so nice to have a bit of Greek cuisine in the heart of Vienna. We had the Chicken loin and the Gyros with Pita and we can’t recommend enough.

The restaurant caught my attention since the beginning. I went around the market once more but I was really craving octopus. Iris Modern cooked it deliciously and the waitress, Ruslana, was attentive and kind. I additionally had some oysters with a complementary prosecco. The place is totally worth it!

we had the grilled calamari and stuffed falafel for two pax - it was a flavour bomb. the falafel was really crispy and stuffed with goat cheese on top of a bed of hummus, everything went so well together, beautiful. the calamari was top notch, ive been craving for seafood and this really hit all the spots. and a special shoutout to the bread basket. oh my lord they were so soft and fluffy, will go back just to have more of them. also, very friendly servers which made my day!

If you are after a place to sit and have a note quickly while on the market. Cafe Do-An does the job. We went there sitting on the outside terrace (with heaters) and grabbed a beer. I had the fried goat cheese and it was not only served quickly but it also was very tasty. I do not regret going for the vegetarian option here :)

This is by far one of the best places I’ve eaten abroad! Food is absolutely delicious, but be mindful that you have to have it hot, as everything is fresh! The lads serving are so nice and welcoming! I loved the falafel and fries with cheese! Everything is so tasty. They also have parties now and then so what else can you ask for? Lovely owners, will definitely return 👌👌

Loved this place and hope to return back some day. The working staff is extremely nice, hospitable and with a good sense of humour. The food itself can only be described as amazing. I’ve been searching for such fries for a long time and the shawarma was really delicious and filling. The atmosphere was special, it feels like at least half of the people that come know each other and contribute to this community. It’s a must visit.

Amazing selection of vegan options, probably the best food I had on my whole trip... I had the spicy black bean falafel wrap (in pictures) and my mom had the regular falafel wrap. Both tasted amazing. The ingredients were fresh, falafels were fried on the spot and the combonation of different textures was spot on. Both wraps also tasted different from one another, the regular one had a lovely minty flavour and a good crunch whereas the black bean one had this kind of spicy lingering undertone with a sauce I can't really describe. The plum-cardamom softdrink sold there was also really good. Would also come back to try the cauliflower shwarma and the bowl versions of the dishes. Thank you <3

Guys. This place is really something. It is a shame on me that I can not send any pics about the amazing food we ate here. The reason: before I thought of taking any photos, we have already ate them all! :) The food is the best in Wiena. Probably. My wife and me have not tried anything else since this place was far the best we could find in Mid-Europe. So yes. Come and try. The owners are lovely, too. We were talking a lot with the very kind couple who run the restaurant. And of course we are vegan! Have fun here you beautiful people of the Earth!

A lovely spot with a great atmosphere – a cozy street food place with covered seating right at the market in the pedestrian zone. The food is excellently seasoned and beautifully presented. Very kind and smiley service. A place that’s definitely worth visiting again and again. It was recommended to me by friends – and now I’m happily passing the recommendation on.

This place is amazing! The food was so good (I'd recommend the Haloumi Fries) and the people extremely nice and helpful. I was having a pretty bad day but honestly my meal here made me feel so much better. 10/10 I will be back next time im in vienna!

Lovely style , interior and ambience . Waiters don’t really seem to enjoy their job but no problem they were fine . Food on the other hand was nothing to write home about , for my main course I had the special linguine with the cream of mushroom and pistachio which ranged between €24-28 I can’t remember . The pasta really just lacked flavor completely , I couldn’t finish it because of how boring the dish was . My mother got the cassoulet , a type of stew with meat and vegetables , maybe this was vegan without meat and we misread the menu but we didn’t find any meat , I mean you’d hope there’d be meat in it for the price your paying 😂 vegetables being the main star is fine so long as there taste is good but this was also just very boring flavors , it tasted like something I would imagine being fed in prison . I guess what I’m trying to say is that anyone could make these dishes .. they were not worth the money paid . 😊 Wine was good 👌 Pity because this place would be absolutely Ideal if the food met the standards the restaurant set.

We had a lovely experience here. The view is beautiful, food amazing and the ambience on the restaurant was nice and cosy. The service was friendly but quite slow and we waited a while for our drinks. Otherwise we were very happy and would really recommend a visit here.

Disappointing! We were initially excited with the decor and warm focaccia served with our appetizers. The truffle pasta “show” was fascinating but it tasted so bland with barely any truffle, absolutely no love at all. And the “lobster” pasta was tasteless (feels like pasta with a pre made sauce). When we told the waiter that we unfortunately did not enjoy the food, he merely shrugged and said “oh?”. Hardly the service you would expect from such a fancy place.

Excellent food, with first class service. The outdoor terrace overlooking the lights of Vienna was very special. Nearly as special as the Lion Creme Brulee which was something to treasure. Highly recommended!!

Charming restaurant (located on the hotel route, you can watch the evening city light from the windows and the romance of the evening rooftops). Restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine, delicious food, warm welcome (they found a table for us, we did not reserve in advance). The food is delicious, the staff is friendly.

The place is cute, the staff super friendly and the food comes quick. I had the Broccoli as a main, Pomegranade Lemonade and the Orange dessert. All tasted good, but the price for everything is definitely on the higher end. Overall, a good place to visit and enjoy some time with friends, family or a date.

The food was so delicious! We had the strawberry falafel salad and it tasted so good, the combination was great!! Even though we were pretty late with dinner, and the kitchen was about to close, the waiter still allowed us to order food- we were so thankful for that! Overall great and really kind service, nice ambience and furniture in the restaurant aswell! We really enjoyed our dinner here and would recommend it to everyone since the prices are totally fine aswell!

The food tasted really good. They had a few vegan options as well. The dishes seemed a bit pricey, but portions were ok, and the place had a good vibe, ambient. The plates were out fast, and the service was kind. I recommend booking tables in advance.

Visited Francesco in Vienna and had a pleasant experience overall. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, making our evening comfortable. I ordered the Pizza Diablo and appreciated that it didn't come with pickled peppers. However, I was slightly disappointed as it wasn't spicy at all, despite its name. Next time, I'll probably try something other than pizza, as it wasn't really my style. Tips: The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, suitable for family or relaxed gatherings. It can get busy in the evenings, so booking ahead might save you waiting time.

Decided to have dinner for the first time and my wife ordered the Gnocchi and I had the ham and cheese pizza. The table was unprepared without cutlery or salt and pepper articles when seated. Food was ordered and when the gnocchi arrived the sauce was thick and tasteless. The gnocchi was stodgy and doughy. The meal was unacceptable so my wife asked me to taste it as she was worried she could be mistaken. It was a very bad experience and I would not recommend the restaurant even though the gnocchi was removed from the invoice.

Good dishes and good pizza in a nice location. It's not a cheap restaurant but prices are fair and comparable to all other (real) Italian restaurants in Vienna. The staff was friendly. Most of the staff is Italian (differently from what said in other reviews).

We visited a few days ago with a reservation and were kindly accommodated outside upon request - even though the staff had to reshuffle other guests to make it happen. Big thanks for that! The service throughout was friendly and attentive. Despite the place being quite busy, the team still took the time to give thoughtful food and drink recommendations - which we really appreciated. The atmosphere (especially outside) was lovely, with a direct view of the canal and just the right lighting to set the mood. As for drinks: we tried cocktails, wine, and beer - all served at the right temperature (cocktails and beer nicely chilled, red wine at room temp). Timing was spot-on too. The food was enjoyable overall. Portion sizes felt a bit small for the price, and the octopus (blanched) was a little too firm for our liking. That said, seasoning was well balanced and everything was plated nicely. One thing to keep in mind: card payment is only available at 50€, otherwise tuey demand cash-payment. Which wasn't a deal breaker for us but one should be aware of it before visiting! ;) Would definitely recommend - especially for a relaxed evening with good vibes and great service.

First time in the restaurant by the Donau and the first thing that happily surprised me was the service and attention. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, explaining the food and concept. Food wise, enjoying every dish and the product was great. The restaurant is modern and we’ll definitely be back.

Oh my yum! 😋 It is hard to get a reservation but this place has it all! Delish food - that Jerusalem Chicken is dreamy and succulent and bursting with flavour! The potato skins…oh let me write an ode! The atmosphere is buzzing and everyone who works there is friendly and full of energy and excitement! What a testament to the team! A different proposal by Neni centered around food sharing Mediterranean style. All dishes were okay but nothing outstanding. We highlight the octopus salad. The atmosphere has good vibes, but a bit too much beach club wannabe. A bit hot. The service was rather rude.

I visited Neni and really enjoyed the experience. I ordered a drink and the vegan kebabs — the flavor was nice, though just a little too salty for my taste. The service, however, was absolutely amazing — attentive, friendly, and warm throughout. On top of that, the view is excellent and makes the whole atmosphere feel special. Definitely worth a visit!

What a bee-utiful little cafe. Came here for a breakfast and the vibes are immaculate. Do note that it is an Austrian tradition to spend a long time enjoying coffee/food while having long conversations. The service staff are helpful and hilarious, tho not all speak English (there is an English menu). The food also was so very lovely, and I enjoyed sitting outside while sipping my coffee. Will be back soon!

We visited this restaurant with great excitement to try traditional Austrian food. At first, everything seemed promising – we ordered a soup to start, which we all really enjoyed. Then our main courses arrived (the schnitzels), and unfortunately that’s when the experience changed. In my dish, I found a feather (or something similar). I discreetly and politely informed the staff and asked if they could change the plate. After quite a long wait, they brought me back the exact same plate, saying that the kitchen had simply removed it. I explained again that this was unacceptable and that I needed a new dish. Only after more waiting and a rather unpleasant attitude from the staff, the manager finally replaced it. To make things worse, the prices were very high for what we got. For example, we ordered a salad that was literally just a few lettuce leaves placed in a row on a plate (I have a photo), and they charged €10.50 for it. Even tap water was charged extra. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, both in terms of service and value for money. Honestly, I am surprised how so many people keep visiting this place

Great place to have your first original Vienn schnitzel, for the fare price! A complimented with a great variety of wine , you’ll have a great dinner! Recommend to visit! Absolutely love this place. First time we came here we had coffee & cake at 10am. Delicious cake, classic setty, lots of local regulars and charming waiters. Second time, night cap at 10.30pm on a Sunday, fantastic neighborhood bar serving spritz late. Great atmosphere.

Wonderful restaurant.The staff were incredibly kind and when we asked, they even brought us blankets, which made our evening so cozy. We eat the schweinstelze crispy pork knuckle it was dry and it cook differently i mean its red inside. But the crispiness is i like.. Service is good. Place is a big we have a concert there so it was a big place. The us to room which is you can held a concert other is only for restaurant. And the huge outside garden where you can sit and eat only for summer time.

This is the second time we’re coming here and both times we found a short hair in the soup. The ring of two beer pines were dirty, and the fork in the box on the table was not clean at all. I’m leaving pictures. Extremely bad hygiene conditions. The food is delicious but we’ll never going to come back again due to the hygiene and the poor service (super rude staff).

The place is really nice and relaxed, perfect for a Sunday in company of friends or family. There are many trees and tables around. The service is really good, the waitress we had was very nice and attentive. The food and the beer was delicious. We ordered soup, wings & ribs and Fiakergulasch and everything was yummy. Definitely a place to go and repeat!

Do not waste your time paying for food and service that does not exist in this otherwise beautiful venue. I came here for an event of nearly 100 people and the two servers could not have shown any less grace or care in how they treated our guests. I was personally ignored multiple times and only able to order a drink by walking into another room and ordering at a bar. There are so many fine examples of Austrian hospitality and cuisine, but you will not find them here.

The food and drinks were good, but at the end of the night the bill came with extra charges on the drinks. The menu said 4.40 per glass of wine and the bill said 6.60 per glass of wine. With several glasses and two people that makes a big difference. The waiter had a lot of attitude when the difference was pointed out. He claimed that the menu was old and wrong... I don't care, I ordered house wine off the menu and I expect to pay the price on the menu. He left and came back several times and then finally adjusted the price to what was expected. If I hadn't noticed, I would have paid too much and then tipped too much. The food and wine were good, but the service at the end was terrible.

The place is great with all those trees providing shade. Playground is a plus. Service is friendly and food is good.

Great view, good selection of local wines. OK food, basic Heurigen fair. Self service and as soon as it starts to drizzle, you're on your own. Hard to get a taxi from up there, poor cell connection and wireless not for customers.

One of my favorite vineyards in Vienna! 🍇 It’s a bit on the pricier side (expect to spend around €40–50 if you’re eating), but the food is classic Austrian and very tasty. Excellent wine and a nice self-service setup. It does get quite busy on weekends, so be prepared for a 10–15 minute wait in the queue to order. There’s plenty of shade. The toilets are very clean (rare for vineyards!), and the overall atmosphere is lovely. It’s not the easiest place to reach by public transport or car, so plan on a bit of walking or hiking to get here — but totally worth it! Cheers! 🥂

After taking a long hike around the vineyards and the hills, take a break and enjoy the wine bar. You can enjoy your meal overlooking the grapevine and the wonderful views in the area. The bar opens at 12 pm.

Beautiful location for a wine and some quick bites! We go every year in the summer and it's always a wonderful atmosphere and experience. They've expanded their menu over the years and there are more choices of things to eat, and also the wine selection is great.

Stunning views, amazing atmosphere and most importantly, amazing wine. The food is also good albeit a bit on the pricey side, the wine is excellent with a very nice self service setup right next to the vineyard. I loved their Gemischter Satz 2018 wine so much that i even bought 2 bottles home!

It was certainly one of the best places I visited in Vienna. Everything we ate and drank was amazingly tasty. I would definitely like to return here.

A pleasant place to take a break and relax after long walks in Vienna, especially in this part of the city and its museums. I was waiting for my wife, who was visiting the Leopold Museum. I had just had an espresso and wondered if I would be asked to leave the restaurant, as I had reserved a table for over two hours. That wasn't the case. No one came to ask me to leave. I was pleasantly surprised and, of course, left a good tip. By the way, I saw delicious dishes, cakes, and ice cream being served around me, and perhaps I should have treated myself to something other than just a coffee, which was good, by the way. In short, I recommend this place.

Very good place with a really nice ambience and vibe. It's a cafe/restaurant with an young and modern look. The menu has a lot of variety and options for everyone. The food was good and well done and the portions were very good. The biggest downside as a lot of other places I encounter in Vienna is that they try to push the tip to you, saying the service isn't included. Even when you say ok they keep insisting on a tip. We are in Europe, I don't understand this new trend but it seems to be the same in a lot of Vienna coffee and restaurants. It's really unpleasant when you say no to the tip and the waiters seem to be mad and change their behaviour. I will give a tip if I want, as soon as this is requested or enforced to me I will never tip or support this behaviour. Since you answered that let me remind you that if you think that your employers don't earn enough you are free to raise their salaries. I assume that the extra price I'm paying for what I'm actually getting already includes service and profit percentage. In the US there are no labour laws and there is no minimum salary so the tip is part of the employee salary. In Europe the employee should receive a minimum and fair salary, tip should be an additional value to praise when they go above and beyond. I don't want to have employees getting lower salaries so I expect to pay a fair price for the meal with all included and give a tip if I feel they were above and beyond their service. But it seems this starts to be common in Vienna but I found other places in Vienna and specifically outside where this never happened. But again I really loved the space and food

My husband and I decided to have lunch at this café and came at a rather unlucky time, since there were hardly any free tables especially considering it was Sunday. Still after just a few minutes of waiting we were seated and served quite quickly. We had expected the service to be slow because of that time of the day but thankfully we were wrong. The staff were very kind and professional, and the waitress who served us left a wonderful impression of the place. 10/10!

Everything at MQ DAILY - coffee, drinks, food, and service - is outstanding ☕️🍔 I’ve tried burgers all around the city and didn’t expect MQ DAILY to excel in this area, but I was pleasantly surprised. Their smash burger is definitely competing with the best. A special thanks to Lisa for being an amazing host tonight; it was another great evening!

The food is really great - especially the red lentils and hokkaido soup! However the place can get crowded, mainly over weekends. The tables are very close to each other, and it can get a bit noisy. But I still come every time, when visiting the galleries, it's worth it! 🙂

We had a quick and light lunch here after going t the Mumok and enjoyed the quinoa salad. It was well balanced and it was nice to eat healthy food. Nothing stellar but reasonably good. Solid 4.

We absolutely loved the atmosphere on the terrace — intimate and cool, even though it was extremely hot outside. On different evenings, we tried the beef tartare, schnitzel, and steak, along with the mango salad and French fries — everything was absolutely delicious. What we appreciated most was the incredible energy of Zika, who made our stay at the hotel exceptionally pleasant. There aren't enough words to thank him for making us feel so at home. :)

One of the best steaks I've tasted so far. The meat I ordered was cooked to medium-well, not too chewy. The mix of herbs, meat juice, and red pepper made it incredibly delicious. The red Austrian wine went great with the meal. The atmosphere was relaxing and wonderful. The service was excellent, and the prices were fair. I highly recommend this restaurant in Vienna.

I was super looking forward to a nice meal after a long day exploring your beautiful city. It was a bit of a shock to have the server fat shame someone publicly prior to placing an order about not splitting a meal and a person's size with hand gestures and verbally. It kind of ruins the entire experience unfortunately in such a beautiful city. So just when I didn't think it could have been worse the server had the audacity to verbally ask in front of everyone for a gratuity for the service and stand there rudely waiting for a gratuity. Although we've been adding gratuity everywhere I just find it extremely rude to verbally ask for a gratuity, I've not experienced that anywhere else. And a side note if you're special is going to be called fish and chips I have 2 words, malt vinegar, it's good enough for the UK.

It's a complete disaster. Just one more reminder that in some lcountries you only order very local cuisine Eg, in Austria you only order sausages, pork, potato salad and cabbage. Anything other than that, any attempt to cook smth more sophisticated turns out to be a tasteless and expensive disaster. Here they managed to oversalt Vienna schnitzel. The goose was dried out, osobucco was tasteless.

Another addition to our traditional and authentic Viennese Wirtshauslist! Service is impeccable, as are quality of produce and food itself. Really really really delicious, great new variations to Austrian classics (like Mohnknödel und Zwetschgenröster zum Gansl / poppy seed dumplings and plum compote accompanying the traditional goose roast)..also probably the best Rotkraut I have ever had. Oh, and please leave room for desserts!

We had the most enjoyable evening here. The Zwiebelrostbraten (a classical Austrian dish) was prepared flawlessly and the meat was as tender as could be. The chicken was great as well, especially the sides (risotto, mushrooms, asparagus) were delicious. The lava cake and the Kaiserschmarrn were both very moist and fluffy - perfect. The service was well informed, very attentative while not being intruding. All things considered the pricing was more than fair and we will certainly be back. Definite recommendation.

Note: kitchen closes 10:30 PM though the restaurant doesn't close till midnight. The place was nearly empty but we arrived pretty late. Got seated quickly, and they had an English menu when we asked for it. Good selection of dishes to choose from in the menu and both our starter and the main dish were very tasty. The gratinated potatoes had some slices that weren't cooked through, but that's the only negative thing to say about an excellent meal.

Come here on a warm day and enjoy some tea with fresh mint on the summer terrace. This is the most delicious french fries we’ve ever had!

The interior is stunning, but the food is mediocre for its price. While I don't mind paying a premium, I expect the food and service to match. I spent 21 euros on a lemonade and a backhendl salad, which unfortunately had dirt in the last bite. I waited 30 minutes without service, and the staff, though busy, seemed inexperienced. The decor and location are great, but I'd only recommend coming for coffee. A local spot nearby offers better value with the same view. You just need to walk 5 more minutes.

Beautiful restaurant with great food great service lovely decor tastefully decorated with great views over the city nice access to hiking and biking trails and play area for kids including large sand pit as well as some sheep. Highly recommend!

Superb place, up high over vienna. Surprisingly good food, great hikes and views. Car park is roomy, staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Since we are regular hikers-runners in the area, it was a very interesting experience to see how (Häuserl) Am Roan transformed from the previous concept (that we also tested earlier). Location and atmosphere excellent, notable in this winter's weather that the restaurant was approachable even in blizzard conditions also. Table reservation (at the evenings) is recommended - we often experience busy schedule, esp. if events are also organised. I think the food menu is yet to be "established": there are several great ideas from the Austrian cuisine, built on local ingredients, but we found the quality yet mixed (some plates extraordinary, some others closer to "good enough"). All that at a satisfactory price range. Service was excellent in all measures: friendliness, recommendations, speed. Will definitely return.

This vendor has been selling sausages for decades. Located smack bang in the biggest footfall area, it's usually tough to even get served here. Great range of weiners from smoked to original to cheese. And of course curry bratwurst. It tasted fantastic and was a truly huge portion. Great to eat and people watch or just chit chat with other patrons and learn their story. Such a welcoming place.

The guy serving me was straight forward and not rude or anything. Take away and the sausage with mustard was really good. But in euros i thought it was expensive. But it is about the same price everywhere else. Vienna was just an expensive city. And i had to try sausages in Vienna before i leave for Český Krumlov. Anyhow, it was good, worth your money and what's not to love sausages and beer to go with it.

A vegetarian and vegan restaurant during the day, a watering hole during the night. Never had food so can't comment on that, however, the bar portion is pretty nice. Service is fast and friendly, and prices are very decent. There is smoking in the front garden so if that bothers you you may want to take this into consideration.

Our hotel is a little bit off the city centre of Vienna and we weren't confident after a few places in the area looked very quiet. Then boom! found this bar/bistro? A variety of beers , wines and cocktails. Good small plates to go with them and all veggie/vegan options, music. Service was super friendly but unobtrusive. The ambience was relaxed with locals (and their dogs) enjoying a Saturday night . We left with a smile in our faces!

A women owned business specialist in craft beer. Service is amazing friendly and prices are fair. I guess the food is amazing, too, but I did not tried. The terrace is just beautiful surounded by plants and on a very silent street without cars. But the service is so friendly I have to repeat

Rooftop bar with a nice terrace and a great view over the city. Very friendly staff. We promised our daughter to go out for ice cream,but it started raining. So although they didn't serve ice cream (only coffee with ice cream), upon our request the very friendly waitress took the trouble of making an ice cream cup with a scoop of vanilla for our 2-year-old. The coffee here is top of the top: rich, smooth, and clearly made with love☺️ While the food menu isn’t huge, you’ll find everything you need - from bowls and sandwiches to desserts. Super cool cafe! We loved our visit and their amazing interior. We had a sunny spot on the big terrace and enjoyed an iced matcha and iced cacao for 10€. They’ve had an amazing selection for vegan food and pastries. Can definitely recommend’

we had a lovely evening at salzi! the food was great, but slightly under salted. great open wines!! the service was kind of slow, i waited almost 10 minutes to get seated, whilst being ignored by most servers passing by, and my friend waited over 25 minutes for her tea, but all in all very friendly service & good food!

We were hungry and wanted to grab something simple and quick. Requested a bosna. The worker pointed to "cash only' before he made the sandwich and we agreed. It had a good texture, flavorful and messy. There was a crispy onion and a powder on top. It went well with soda. Service was fast and efficient.

I asked for Bosna sausage as they had it pictured on the menu. The person at the counter was not nice at all when I ordered. In the end he made a simple hot dog in a huge white bun that was totally different from the image on the menu. I didn’t make a scene and paid for it. Double smoked sausage was extra dark but VERY nice. Everything else is also good but nearly burned my mouth off with the pickled jalapeños. Mustard and horseradish is my favourite condiment still. Owner has a big plus in my book because he actually bothered to come out and sternly chase away the homeless guy harassing other customers.

This was such a warm welcome to Vienna! It was right outside of our Airbnb. We loved the garlic bratwurst. What a great value! Very fair prices and kind service.

We had a few galettes—the mushroom and Dijon were better than the “Complète”, but none of them were particularly memorable. The flavors were bland and under-seasoned, and the whole meal had that overly “organic” feel that sometimes just ends up tasting dull. Service was friendly, but extremely slow. It took far too long to get just a couple of galettes, which made the whole visit frustrating. While the staff were kind, the wait wasn’t worth it for what we got. I wouldn’t return.
