What an amazing night @singlendcafe_glasgow in Garnethill for the NOLA night supper club. New Orleans themed five course supper club dinner. Started the evening with the iconic ‘Hurricane’ cocktail, followed by oysters rockerfeller, shrimp and smoked sausage gumbo, crab slider, chicken and chorizo jambalaya and beignets. We were keen to try Lorne Sausage on our trip and found this cafe. It was very busy, booking recommend for larger groups. Tasty food and friendly staff. Being one large room, the sound is quite reverberant (trickier for a neurospicey dinner) A bouji take on the classics. Worth it for tasty cakes and buzzing atmosphere. Very tasty bloody Mary's! But coffee not as bouji as the cafe feels it should be.

Attended their Nola night supper club. It was amazing. The atmosphere was spot on, live jazz band, so much food! We really enjoyed our time with the staff and entertainment. Food was served fast and warm and was delicious too. Definitely worth what we paid for and will be more than welcomed to join more of their supper club nights

This was such a spacious, lovely place, I loved the atmosphere and the decorations. I tried their brioche french toast which did not really taste like I expected sadly, but the bacon was very nice and crunchy. The coffee was also really good. I'll definitely give this place another try, and they have so much outdoor space as well for the rare sunny days!

Visited on a Sunday afternoon as a group of six. Despite the café being busy, the service was fast, friendly, and well-organised. Most of the food was very good — I ordered the Stornoway (black pudding, poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce, and toasted sourdough). It was enjoyable overall, but the eggs were overcooked, with firm yolks instead of the runny ones you’d expect. One thing to note is the 10% service charge automatically added to the bill. I’m not usually a fan of that approach, though in this case the service did justify it — assuming, of course, the charge goes directly to the staff.

I ducked into this great space and said yes to the pumpkin French toast with roasted pumpkin and spiced crème fraîche. I did not regret it. Delicious and great service with a lively atmosphere. Loved the first impression bakery table too.

Visited for breakfast on a Monday morning. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered an eggs Benedict and ‘the everything’ breakfast. The food was good, ingredients all very fresh and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The only reason I have scored 4 stars is because the bread crusts were so hard we couldn’t even cut them with a knife. There is also an open display of cakes / sweet treats as you come in, that I feel should be covered for food hygiene purposes. Would return again - but would ask for the bread to be less toasted!

It’s been two years since my last visit, and it feels like nothing has changed—in the best way possible. The people, the atmosphere, and the welcoming spirit are just as I remembered. The menu may have evolved a little, but the heart of the place remains the same. The staff are always so warm, greeting you with a smile and engaging in small talk that feels genuine, never forced. The coffee is still outstanding, and the scone was absolutely superb. I’ll definitely be back the next time I visit.💓

Amazing breakfast food! For someone whontravelsnanlot and has eaten in many places, Wilson’s is right up there with the best. Started with great service, beautiful coffee and fantastic food. Food not greasy and high quality ingredients. Will add this to my list of must go places when I’m Glasgow.

A great place for breakfast in Glasgow! Everything is prepared with fresh and tasty ingredients and served in a cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed it so much we wanted to go back a second time on the weekend (Easter additionally), sadly it was fully booked for the entire day, so if you plan on going over busy days I would recommend booking a table up front

Exceptional brunch and coffee! Service was very good and nice, they offered us to refill our tub water every time it got empty and also offered us another coffee when we finished it, which we accepted because it was very good! I just feel sad that I live in Spain and will not be able to come again!!

Everything was great except the food, i would of given it a 5 star if the food was better… - the staff were lovely, the coffee was great, the atmosphere and decor were also really nice! The food was a massive let down to be honest… the bacon, hash brown, spicy cheese and egg roll wasn’t buttered so was kind of dry! The scone, oh the scone, it was the strangest scone i’ve ever tasted in my life, it didn’t have the taste of a scone and didn’t have the texture of a scone, it tasted and felt more like an english muffin, very bizarre, this was also served without butter! For the price the food wasn’t great, it wasn’t bad it just wasn’t great.

The food was great, coffee is tasty, but the most excellent is the staff - really friendly and served well! We want to thank one of the staff who recommend us places to visit in Glasgow, she was super nice and sweet - highly recommend the great cafe.

Fantastic - for a long time this has been my favourite brunch in Glasgow. My go-to is the harissa hummus toast which is so generously portioned with two poached eggs and loads of halloumi. Every time I visit there are exciting specials - like this lemon ricotta, pea, leek and courgette toast with pesto. This cafe is so reasonably priced, the portions are huge (especially the pancakes) and everything is so fresh and tasty. There are also a huge range of options for veggies and meat eaters. Be willing to wait an hour or more on weekends! But you can leave your number and wait for a text when your table is ready :)

I had such a fantastic experience at this brunch spot! The Vietnamese iced coffee was absolutely amazing — strong, smooth, and perfectly sweetened. I also tried the breakfast burrito wrap, which was packed with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. The fluffy pancakes with pistachio mascarpone and cherries were a standout — rich, creamy, slightly tart, and beautifully balanced. It was also my first time trying a potato scone, apparently a very Scottish thing ;) it was crunchy, delicious, and surprisingly addictive! Everything was freshly prepared and thoughtfully presented. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable and satisfying brunch in Glasgow!

I chose this cafe as my breakfast place because they relatively have high ratings in the surrounding area. When I was there, it was packed but the service was quick! Had two daily specials (savoury and sweet). My partner had savoury special and it was interesting, very chewy sourdough with a potent aroma of curry (I forgot the name). But my order, pancake with summer berries, on the other hand..... wow. Can't describe it with words!! Just look at the heavenly pictures. Feels like I'm eating an art. Like a craft that someone made wholeheartedly. It also tasted great too, everything blended well perfectly in terms of textures and flavour. Unfortunately the portion was massive I couldn't finish it. A good and memorable visit nonetheless.

We went for the Stornoway Stack & the Turkish Eggs and they were absolutely fabulous. Great vibe in the cafe and the food was sensational. The black pudding was delicious and top quality (As someone who knows their Stornoway black pudding). Bacon was extra crisp and the chilli jam negated any need for brown sauce. High recommend!

The restaurant is not big but plenty of seats and looks very inviting. We got seated quickly and got a nice big table. The staff are friendly and attentive and got our drinks and food order quickly. We had hummus and sourdough and this was delicious for a starter. For the mains, we chose burger and it was very rich with black pudding spread, personally I wish there was an option to have it plain as I struggled to finish it and the topping was too runny and made the bun a bit soggy. We ordered two different fries both which was really heavy so next time will stick with plain fries. Overall we enjoyed the dinner. The menu is pretty limited and could do with a few more options like chicken burger, fish etc.

We’ve been here a good few times, always enjoy the food & the staff are always friendly, professional and on it. I like the vibe & decor too. I’ve enjoyed every meal I’ve had at this restaurant, would highly recommend. This time we got the sticky duck leg, the philly cheese steak open bun, the monk fish scampi & honey mustard fries. And we always get the cinnamon bun for the dessert (it’s so good). Outstanding food!

Visited the duck club for the first time for dinner. The menu is varied. I cannot recommend the sticky toffee pudding soufflé highly enough . It was fantastic. The starters and mains weren’t too shabby. The haggis croquette went down a storm. The Asian style cauliflower was on the sweet side. For mains we had the 12 hour duck leg bubble and squeak which was delicious. The duck bun was on the sweet side though. The music was in the loud side but we were seated under the speaker which didn’t help. Enjoyed my visit.

I had a fantastic time at Partick Duck Club in Glasgow on my first day in the city! The eggs Benedict Royal was perfectly cooked, and the coffee was spot on. Sitting outside in the cozy setting made it even better-highly recommend!

Now my favourite breakfast spot! The bbq duck leg with hash brown is superb. The hash stayed crispy and the duck was flavourful. Egg lovely & runny. We also had the toasted cheese bread and it wasn't as good as the duck. Coffee was brilliant too.

Food was amazing as always. The steak and eggs are a new favourite. I think it should maybe tell you that the sauce and peas with the scampi are served cold though as it put my friend of his dish.

Lovely place to sit in, with nice decor and big windows letting in plenty of natural light on sunny days, but not that big of a place. Probably around 10 - 15 tables meaning at brunch / lunch time just walking into the place means you’ll most likely have to wait. That may have skewed my opinion of the service, but when ordering a latte my friend ordered almond milk, they said fine, walked away then came back and said “we don’t actually recommend it because it doesn’t froth that well”. Why not say that up front? Also I think most people would prefer their choice of milk over perfectly frothed milk, and regardless it came pretty well frothed! They also didn’t have tonic water 🤯 how are me and the gals going to have a couple G&Ts on a Monday afternoon?!?! My smoothie was nice and worth the 5.50 but the breakfast wrap for 9 was good but not great. Didn’t have a simple salad with dressing on the side, and just had a sad amount of crisps scattered across the plate. Just put it in a wee ramekin it looks a lot nicer that way. The rest of the food seemed fine but nothing to really write home about. Overall friendly staff and decent food but just all a bit overpriced for what you get. Cheers!

We got here around 2:30PM on a Monday, so it was very quiet. When we got there most of the tables were dirty and the waiter told us to just sit anywhere and he'll come clean our table, which he never did. The rest of the service was at minimum interest level and definitely not because of too many customers, so -2 stars for that. The food we had was great and the drinks were good, so we might be back, but definitely not for the service.

Stopped in for a late lunch after visiting a nearby museum. Excellent food; my wife really enjoyed the chicken and waffles (a little reminder of home). Try the passionfruit and ginger tea!

Popped in at the start of the week after the lunch rush. Had a full on TBC breakfast washed down with a pot of tea. Service was good, table I sat was clean, music in the background wasn’t offensive on the ears, loved the big windows which let it plenty of natural light or you can people watch if you prefer otherwise. The cafe itself was probably about half full but busy enough. As soon as I walked a member of the staff took me to my table and literally within a minute someone had brought over a glass bottle of water and a menu. In under 5 mins my order was taken and just shy of 10 minutes my lovely brunch was served up hot! It wasn’t overcooked and it tasted great. I’d love to come back and try out some different dishes. After finishing my food I felt I was being rushed out, but, maybe the waitress was just trying to be fast and efficient. Definitely somewhere I’d happily go to again!

Second time visiting here and I will definitely be back again! Great food, and a very decent gluten free menu too. I had fench toast and it was just amazing.

Review for The Brunch Club – Regarding Professionalism (Not Food-Related) Today around 12:30 PM, I visited The Brunch Club to collect an Uber Eats order. Since it was the weekend and I had some free time, I thought I’d make the most of it by doing a few deliveries rather than just sitting at home watching TV. When I arrived, I approached the front counter and politely gave the receptionist my order number. She brought the order promptly, which I appreciated. However, what happened next was quite disappointing. While I was holding my delivery bag in one hand and scanning the barcode with the other, she abruptly walked away and placed the food bag on a chair to the side rather than handing it to me directly. Then she left without a word. To me, this felt very unprofessional and a bit disrespectful. We’re both working – I’m here providing a service just like she is. It would have been basic courtesy to hand the order to me rather than placing it aside like that, especially when I was clearly in the middle of scanning. Again, this review isn’t about the food, but about the lack of professionalism and basic workplace respect I experienced today. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and helps improve service standards.

Great restaurant right in the middle of Buchanan street. Somewhat posh atmosphere and upscale vibe; service was spot on. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Perhaps missing a "wow factor" on my particular dining choices but not a major flaw. I had a great night here.

Customer service was phenomenal. Ryan was awesome and made sure I had a great dining experience. Ordered the Sunday Roast with lamb. It was tasty, and flavorful. Not out of this world, but it was filling and I enjoyed the meal. Atmosphere was good. No loud music or crowds and music was appropriate.

What an expierence with all the colorful neaveau art all over the walls, exquisite bar great service. I had the Sheppards pie which i have been looking for the whole trip. And scallops as a starter. The creme Brule had to be one of the best I have had in a long time.

Impromptu breakfast turned into a lovely experience! Popped in last minute for breakfast with a friend and were warmly welcomed by the staff, even without a booking. We both had the veggie breakfast (delicious!) and shared the Greek yoghurt pancakes - absolutely worth it. The pop-up florals were such a unique and beautiful touch – I haven’t seen that at other branches before. Staff were attentive throughout, the decor was stunning, and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely food 2 courses for £20.95 from a set menu. Great value but then when you add any supplements or extras and a couple of glasses of wine then it's a little pricey, ended up with a bill of £92.00 but it was a nice treat. Oh and ladies loo is magical✨

We had a reservation at Stravaigin last night for a business dinner during a work trip to Glasgow. One of our guests was travelling with their dog, and according to the website, dogs are welcome on the ground floor. Since there’s a quiet and comfortable area downstairs that seemed suitable for a business meal, we made our booking with a clear note stating that we’d be bringing a dog and that it was a business occasion. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that our table had been booked upstairs—where dogs aren’t allowed. When we pointed this out, the staff checked and confirmed that our note had indeed been included in the reservation, but it had simply been overlooked. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. However, by the time we arrived, there were no free tables left in the quieter area on the ground floor. Instead of making an exception and allowing the dog upstairs in light of their own mistake, we were asked to wait and were eventually seated in the very loud pub area. It was far from suitable for a professional conversation. Sorry Stravaigin, but we communicated everything clearly in advance—both the business context and the presence of a dog. If that information is ignored, the customer shouldn't have to bear the consequences. A customer-focused solution would have been the right thing to do. Based on this experience, I can’t recommend Stravaigin for business dining or for situations that require flexibility or accountability.

After a recommendation form a friend my husband and I went here for lunch. We were up in Glasgow visiting family. The food was absolutely fantastic and really tasty. Service was really good and they gave us some good recommendations of things to try. We didn't feel rushed and the atmosphere was really nice. We will definitely be coming here again next time we are up.

What a great experience visiting Stravagin! Food and team were stunning. We had a table for three tucked high in the mezzanine… we all loved that location and will be asking to be sat there again. 2 of our party ate from the Sunday roast menu… for starters… soup of the day which was extremely flavourful, and seared cauliflower with hazelnuts and curry leaves… I highly recommend this dish it was delicious! These were followed by the roast rump of beef, which was tender and cooked to perfection, and all the accompanying vegetables cooked perfectly, special mention for the hispi cabbage … and the onion purée. Our other diner chose the a la carte menu… grilled sardines to start cooked to perfection.., followed by a loin of venison cooked to perfection. We forced ourselves to have dessert…none of which disappointed. Fantastic crème brulle, and a velvety chocolate cremaux, and i really enjoyed the quirky serving of Brie with brioche and onion chutney. Can’t wait to return to this gem of a Glasgow restaurant again soon. Well done to all the team.

Could not recommend highly enough! We booked the cellar for our wedding celebration and from the first contact, everything has been perfect! Jade was so lovely and helpful in helping us get everything sorted before it - nothing was too much trouble. On the day, Olivia got the room ready for us and it was perfect and ensured we had everything we needed all night. The food was incredible and all our guests loved it - everyone kept talking about the mussels!! But what made our night truly special was the staff! The service was absolutely brilliant! The cherry on the cake was the gigantic tiramisu for dessert which was amazing! We can’t wait to be back! Thank you again for everything 🩷

Amazing food, we went there for a birthday celebration. The muscles were super fresh, great pork belly and probably the best haggis we've ever tried. Our server was super helpful in making our choices without being pushy for any item. I only have one thing to fault the restaurant, and it's that they didnt put on the menu that there was an added 10% service charge. We would have left a tip otherwise. However, really good experience overall.

Tried out Stravaigin after being recommended and it did not disappoint. Had the mussels with the red sauce and it was the best part of the meal . Had some starters and haggis which unexceptional. Was a bit disappointed in the ice cream of the day - it was an oat meal cream with an oat biscuit, not the best combination but probably a poor choice of dessert on our part . Great selection of whisky , with a whisky menu which I believe is new . They didn’t have the whisky I wanted but the staff were kind enough to recommend one and even price match to the one I had initially asked for! I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu . Great interiors btw

Stravaigin truly delivers on its motto: “Think global, eat local.” The food was outstanding - creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. I was especially surprised by the attention to detail in even the simplest dishes. The green side dish, in particular, stood out - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour. It’s rare to see such care put into every element of the meal.

I visited here after dropping a friend off at hospital. I was greeted very friendly at the door and shown a seat . I ordered a full breakfast, no beans and added haggis, with a fresh orange juice . As I waited for my breakfast , which took about 2 minutes to appear , I collected my cutlery from container on table . The knife still had caked in egg on it . When the breakfast came it wasn't hot , more lukewarm, sent back to be heated up . As you probably know eggs and greasy food do not microwave well , meaning the food was not very good , that's me being generous . I told the server, and to his credit he refunded the food part of my breakfast. I'm sure if this breakfast was cooked fresh it would be very good .

Your classic neighbourhood cafe. Food was generously proportioned and of good quality at a reasonable price. Seating is a bit compact but there are 4 tables inside and loads out front for that week of summer that we get. Offers delivery and click and collect online which is a bonus. A safe bet.

Lovely breakfast, outdoor seating (on the pavement next to the road) a little expensive but you can tell the ingredients are top notch as it was all delicious. We were £35 for 2 full breakfasts, tea, mocha and 1 juice.

In Glasgow for a week and have visited the cafe several times. So many delicious things on the menu at very reasonable prices that it’s hard to choose. Staff are super friendly and helpful too. Love the terrace out front - great spot to spend a sunny afternoon. Can’t wait to try more things on my next trip. Highly recommended.

Was here for lunch. Tried their homemade macaroni cheese, feels like actually it's just the sauce that's made on-site, but it was creative and flavoursome. The hot chocolate I had was well made. Might try the white chocolate version if I visit again. Friendly service.

Came here for brunch and was pleasantly surprised by their shawarma loaded fries. The chicken was spiced well and the gherkin balanced out those strong flavours well. It's a dish I would have again. I did not have the hash browns but my friend highly rated them and as seen by the picture, they looked nice and crisp

We came here for the brunch and luckily the place wasn’t packed. We had the BBQ pork and the Stornoway. Both plates were delicious and portions abundant. We took also the hash browns which come with the truffle mayo, it was very yummy

Amazing menu (we came for brunch). So many great dishes it was hard for make a decision! The caramel chicken bun is insane (come hungry), as is the hash browns side. Scran Diego coffee is amazing for those with a sweet tooth. Only reason for a 4 not 5 was it took a very very long time to get the bill and then again to come back with the card machine which is a minor annoyance. Staff were all really nice and friendly though. Definitely recommend.

Visited on a quiet Thursday brunch, the first time we've been since it's moved from Alexandra parade, regret we'd waited so long, it's as good as ever. I went for the brulee French toast and the wife got a Stornoway black pudding poached egg hollandaise dish. Both were delightful and fairly priced. Will definitely try it again.

Upbeat contemporary pizza house with interesting taste combinations on their hand made, in house, pizzas. You can order a whole, large, pizza, or buy by the slice. A single slice is still pretty large. Good coffee and tea, too. Recommended.

Had to try this place because I am a huge Bourdain fan, and I loved it. I was a little sad they were out of fish, but I really enjoyed the shrimp. The haggis was the star, though, and I was shocked by how much I loved it.

Heard about this place, had fish&chips was bad oily even the chips was bad!! Took ice cream with fudge cake, ice cream is good but the fudge cake wasn’t fresh .. sorry won’t go there again!

We had dinner here and really enjoyed it. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and the place looks nice. The schnitzel was particularly big and tasty, which it better be anyway since it costs £20 with no sides included. Sadly they have the ridiculous money grab called "service charge", so -1 star for that, as this greed needs to stop. Funnily enough we would've left a bigger tip than the service charge if it weren't added. Your prices are high anyway - just pay your staff properly.

The lady serving us had a sour face the entire time and actually managed to go our entire visit without saying one word to us other than the total price when paying at the end. Also had to ask a few times regarding our drinks as they forgot to bring them. We were made to feel like an inconvenience. Shocker service for a west end place which used to be good. The roast was nice albeit a bit stingey on the offerings. Better places elsewhere.

Place is beautiful and the staff are friendly. The food badly let it down. I ordered a starter of goats cheese with caramelised apple and roasted beetroot. What came was a plate of disappointment, the beetroot was raw as was the apple 3 little slices of apple not caramelised in the slightest and to top it off there was a hair in my salad, the staff gave us a slice of cake to make up for it after I asked for a slice for my friends birthday, that was delicious. I also got a burger which was only ok. Not very much sauce pretty tasteless.

Stopped in for brunch midweek. Lovely atmosphere. The chicken waffles were nice, though I think should double the amount of waffles and some garnish on top. Staff were very friendly if a little on the slow side to take orders or remembering to bring all our drinks.

I just went with my sister and some friends for lunch. I've been here about 5 times in the past two years, and always greatly enjoyed the brunch options and the interior with the shabby chic and the tree in the middle. Unfortunately, the decor has been changed and it's not as welcoming and cozy as it was before. Instead of the tree, there are now additional bar benches, which separate the restaurant from the bar and make for quiete a stark separation. We sat near the windows. I'm quite tall and the new black bench along the window is higher than the chairs across the table, and too high for the table, so it was a bit uncomfortable to use the table to eat and drink. The bench furthermore has a very low slung back, so it was impossible to lean backwards to sit comfortably. I had to sit ramrod straight all lunch. The food and service was good as usual, I just wouldn't recommend the French onion soup as it was a bit lackluster. Otherwise, all good and everyone enjoyed their choice!

Stunning location. We came for brunch. The food was tasty, although portions small. I would have liked some additional garnish (similar to previous post photos). The waffle chicken was good but half the plate was empty, and could have done with additional syrup and a spicy sauce. The French toast, again was good but a much smaller portion than previous. The staff were good and the place is lovely inside. I got a bloody Mary cocktail that was delicious.

The food here was fantastic! Arrived for brunch, so only half of the menu was available, the remainder is available at 12 noon. Full of flavour and well presented. Sadly they ran out of sweet tea, which we were excited to try! The decor downstairs is cute with all the foliage. There is an outside seating area under a canopy, which is very picturesque. Upstairs (inside) is nice but not as bright as downstairs. Parking on a Sunday can be a little tricky but there are plenty of side roads with spaces.

Came in on Saturday (22.03.25) while visiting friends in Glasgow to celebrate my birthday. The food was great and the service was amazing, we was served by the lovely Jill 😊 her service was plus one and nothing was to much trouble always made sure we was ok and our glasses was never empty. A very friendly waitress and lots of laughs had. We had a lovely afternoon celebrating and thank you Jill for looking after us you are a super star ⭐ xx

I took my Mum for afternoon tea on Mothers Day. The place was lovely and has a nice chill atmosphere. The afternoon tea was surprisingly filling! Our server was Steven who was friendly and chatty and always made sure we had a what we needed. Great place, would love to try it again sometime for dinner :)

Had a family function which included a 60th wedding anniversary, two 30th birthdays and an eighteen birthday. Our host Hayley was amazing, she was extremely helpful and attentive and nothing was a problem to her. Food was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you for making our night.

Fantastic venue, staff were immaculate, professional and friendly, the food was excellent, very tasty. Had good selection of drinks too. A bit pricey compared to surrounding restaurants but to be fair the food was of the highest quality, fresh and well cooked. So if you take into account the food on top of the service and the venues ambience it's very well worth it. Kudos to the team.

See if you can spot the mould on the pita bread before I did. The shakshuka was not very nice to be honest, bland with really undercooked eggs. My friend had the Mexican hash and really enjoyed it to be fair but overall this was such a disappointing experience. Been wanting to come here for years, will not be back.

Went in to grab a bite to eat and drink before heading for an appointment. I got the Kimchi chicken and waffles with a passion fruit sparkling water drink. It was delicious. Was struggling what to get as it all sounded good so I'll definitely go back to try something else

We used the downstairs event space of The Bungo (The Bungo-lo) for our Pride Musical Theatre event and it was fantastic. The staff were so quick to respond to questions before the event, helped work with us to make the space work for us during set up, and were great with all of our attendees for the event. Can really recommend.

The food is always excellent. It's not often that I go somewhere and want to try every thing on the menu! Nice, welcoming atmosphere, good service, great food and dog friendly in the bar area. We always try to make it down for the Tuesday pub quiz or just as a wee treat to have dinner out the house. I'm here all the time and am glad to be so local, always a good time out :)

In last Sunday and I had the loveliest time. The nasi goreng was off the scale. Best I've had outside of Indonesia! Service was quick and our so server so personable. Loved her chat, she took time to talk us through the menu even though it was a busy time. Please pass on our thanks to Sylvie and the extended team. Can't wait to come back and work our way through the rest of the menu.

Lovely little spot I’ve returned to a few times now. The food is consistently great and the atmosphere has a cosy charm, even if the interior isn’t flashy. A real local gem that’s well worth a visit.

Been here on half a dozen or more occasions, with no issues, but disappointed today. Noticeable difference in change of ownership. Menus look tired and the Ayrshire dish portion was much smaller than previously (with hardly any spinach) - and that was after the new chef (who came out in a filthy 'whites') had originally got our order wrong, despite only one other customer being there at lunchtime. A bit of a wait which suggested they wouldn't cope if busy. Also flies in our corner - a problem evidenced by the sticky fly strip behind the bar. Could have been our last visit unless the reviews improve again.

Cozy cafe with a great selection of sweet and savory dishes. They serve breakfast the whole day and lunch from 12:00. I got the banana bread and it was delicious, the portion was a little too big though, I think two people could easily split it :) The only thing I was missing was a matcha latte. Other than that everything was perfect!

To start with, a super busy and lively place, that's good. The food was like a roller coaster of excitement and disappointment. The products were very fresh and great quality. I ordered the roast beef sandwich; the taste of the sourdough was excellent, the roast beef was perfectly cooked to the point that it looked like beef carpaccio. The only down thing was that it lacked a touch of something more Dijon, salt or pepper and less arugula. My pear and almond tart was beautiful, but something was missing again!. That extra touch to make food unforgettable. My coffee was a total disappointment, the cortado the milk tasted overheated and old. The service was impressive, friendly, and helpful.

Went here once and had to come back two days later because it was so good. On the first occasion we had the soup of the day (sweet potatoes with coconut milk) and a goat cheese salad. On the second day, we went for brunch and bought a sourdough bread to go and both times it was delicious, the portions were really generous and the whole café looks lovely and cozy.

Stopped on a trip back from the highlands, and we had to try/visit this after reading about Kember and Jones in The Times. The breakfast was delicious. Staff extremely attentive and helpful. Also took away bagels and cakes for the journey home.

And we went again to Sher the same set even after a year, same taste and aura and 💯 satisfaction. Ever thinking for a cafe- choose k&J no doubt😌

K&J has been my go-to special treat cafe for almost two decades. Having not been for about 6 months, I was bitterly disappointed by my visit on Thursday. I visited alone and may as well have been invisible. I waited by the sign telling me to wait for a seat. I was ignored. Two men walked in and two of the young female staff instantly attended to them and handed them menus. The staff working behind the counter work hard, but those serving up on the mezzanine continued the theme of making me feel ignored for the rest of my time in the cafe. It was a real struggle to get anyone's attention for service and the manner of the servers could absolutely be more proactive and pleasant. The food is always displayed beautifully, however the taste quality is becoming more mediocre. I ordered a huge muffin but left half of it due to it not tasting of very much. The single toilet facility is also looking really shabby and requires renovation. I really hope that I visited on an off day and that this cherished cafe isn't slipping in standards and appeal.

Sadly, the food is not what it used to be ... the braised beef on toast was tasteless. No salt, no flavors. Boiled beef, combined with a plain hollandaise sauce is not a happy combination. Mocha was also equally tasteless. Will not be coming back. However, service and people are still great.

Ordered the smashed acocado on toast with a poached egg. Did take a while to arrive after ordering however it was busy given it was a sunday Lemon and ginger tea was good although a bit disappointed i was charged extra for honey. Would have been 5 stars but my poached egg was cold. Will definitely be back

Got a variety of small plates to share from here. Food was great quality at a much more reasonable price than a lot of places which offer small plates. We also had an it is on voucher which made it even better value. They also gave us an extra cake since it was my birthday. The staff here really couldn’t be better- they were polite, friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.

Was on a day trip from Edinburgh and was looking for a good breakfast spot walking distance from the Queen street train station. Saw the food reviews and decided to pop in. Friendly hostess grabbed a menu and took me upstairs to the cutest little table next to a window. Small wait before the waiter came up to me but this menu has great options. Decided on the French toast and it did NOT disappoint! Portion was amazing, food was warm & it had a cute cafe vibe. Super clean bathrooms upstairs too. I was on a bit of a time crunch which I told the waiter and my food came within about 10 minutes of me ordering. I would absolutely come here again and so should you!

We had eggs Benedict with hot smoked salmon, poached egg on toast, croque monsieur and a side of square (Lorne) sausage. The poached eggs both on own and in eggs Benedict were slightly overdone with egg yolk solid. I’d normally expect runny unless requested. The hot smoked salmon was delicious, the croque monsieur was superb, strong cheese and lovely sauce with tasty ham in the middle. The sourdough bread was good. Washed down with coffee and tea. The coffee was better than the tea to our taste. You have to book, not sure why as many tables empty. The tables were very very close together and the music a little loud for me (old age). Service was prompt, polite and efficient.

This was such a cute restaurant! And even though it was HOPPING, the service was fast and high quality. The food was very good - I got an amazing croque madame that hit the spot! The drinks were delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their breakfasts!

We came here for breakfast, great Gluten Free options. Firstly the staff were lovely and very attentive, asking us if everything was ok and if we needed more tea's/coffee's. I had the Gluten Free avocado, halloumi, poached eggs and toast it was delicious and the bread was tasty. My hubby had baked eggs with halloumi, beans and toast, he said it was delicious 😋 Great value for money as you get big portions. They were very busy, but there was no long wait for food or drinks. We would definitely come back.

When we stumbled across this place on Google Maps after travelling up from Durham for a gig - and being massive Springsteen fans - we just had to go! We weren't disappointed either. Springsteen tunes were playing (including requests) plenty of memorabilia in the place, great coffee (nice and strong) and a fab breakfast. The owner was working and was really friendly and had a good chat with us. Even if you're not a Boss fan - well worth a visit for the black pudding and coffee alone! Will definitely be back if we're back up that way.

A Bruce Springsteen themed cafe It is small with only 7 tables, not chic but very cosy and comfortable Food is excellent provided by chef Paul. Presentation is first class. Foods first attraction cos if it looks good, it should in most cases taste good I had a dish called " Southside Johnny".See pic, sourdough, topped with bacon, black pudding and 2 perfect poached eggs. My friend had French toast and bacon with maple syrup. We had two teas and coffees. Total cost £34. Very good quality throughout 😏

Great food. Friendly staff. We had a couple of sandwiches and soup which were great, the bread was fresh and fluffy. The soup was delicious and very hot. Would recommend as a holsome lunch, or breakfast, spot. They are dog friendly too.

By far one of my favourite spots! Staff are wonderful people, food is always a hit and the drinks are spot on. Prices are also very reasonable. It's got a proper community vibe to it, and I love being able to scan through leaflets and see what's going on locally while I wait for my coffee to-go! It's a popular spot so if you're looking for something quick you may find it's a bit of a wait some days (complete understandably!) Only complaint I have is that the toilet are downstairs through the beginning of the kitchen and I always feel like I'm breaking the rules as I try to get down their without getting in anyone's way 😂 Otherwise can't fault the place 💕

Matcha latte was more foamy milk than matcha. Food was OK but...for the price Cafe Strange Brew is better. Bacon was cooked well but tasteless, haggis fell apart. Could do with some ventilation as stuffy and a wipe down of the lighting wired above wouldn't go amiss before some dust falls. Used to be good, sad to see it looking dishevelled.

Perfect! Amazing food, coffee drinks and freshly made smoothies. We are gluten free and the options were great (they make their own gluten free bread). The Florentine egg bake was to die for! The Italian sandwich was also excellent with high quality meats and cheese- served with a fresh salad and unique little potato salad. The whole staff was lovely and very friendly too! We were so lucky to find this place!

Lovely food and friendly staff. My only issue is a few of the staffs extreme petting of dogs, then not washing their hands directly after it. One member gave a dog a nice neck scratch with both hands followed by letting the dog lick her on the face, she then went on to clear a table, then make drinks from the coffee machine which I found disgusting.

I visited this charming café and tried the Scottish breakfast—it was absolutely delicious. The bacon was a little bit stiff, but overall the dish was delightful. My friends ordered the pancakes, which came in generous portions. I also had a chai tea, which tasted authentic and well-balanced. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere. The café was bustling with both locals and tourists, a clear sign of its popularity. A truly lovely spot worth visiting.

Cute little cafe in a lovely spot in Glasgow. Amazing place for brunch/lunch. We had a slight problem with our matcha which was the only downside - the powder had not been blended properly. However, the staff were lovely about it and immediately fixed this for us. Definitely recommend going although it's very popular and sometimes hard to get seated so would recommend booking in advance!

The best place for fluffiest pancakes! French toast was a delight as well. Hot chocolate was on point and October special mocha was good too! Definitely coming back :)

Great food, terrible service! The place is cosy and welcoming. We went on saturday for brunch around 10:30. We were sitted really quick. After that, it took the "waitress" 20 minutes (yes, 20 whole minutes) to take our order, telling us that the kitchen is busy (it's an open kitchen place, everything is very visible) and we can only order drinks. For 20 minutes no water no nothing. We were watching customer being sitted and leaving after waiting 15-20 minutes with no one even bothering to ask if they want anything. The only one who stood out from the service staff was a tall polite guy. The young woman who had out table should probably change jobs. Kudos to the cook! That guy was a hero 👏 🙌 We were there for 90-110 minutes (yes, we were curious how much time it would take them to serve us and since we sat down we weren't in the mood to look for another place) he didn't stop for a second and was working fast and efficiently in order to catch up. The waiting staff, on the other hand, like a fish trying to walk - completely out of place 😒

Found this wee cafe on google maps, looks great, nice clientele and a nice area. Waited around 5 minutes for a table, despite it being really busy. Service was excellent, really quick and wasn’t waiting to order. The food looks the part, amazing presentation and everything is put together really well. Although i think the quality of the Lorne sausage was a let down, full of rusk, fatty bits and contained a low amount of meat, id suggest going to another supplier thats isn’t bulking the sausage out with cheap ingredients. The potato scones weren’t the best, again they tasted cheap. Pancakes and coffee was great nothing to complain about! Last point, if you’re a timid driver, I suggest trying to find parking spaces a bit further away, was very difficult to find a space near the cafe. Overall, its a great wee place to eat, isn’t super overpriced, has great service!

I don’t recall where the recommendation came from, but it was suggested to try the tasting menu, especially for those who are looking to have a culinary experience that highlights the elevated Scottish cuisine. Locally sourced foods backed by the amazing ambience and atmosphere give an amazing authentic atmosphere and experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who has one restaurant to try while in Glasgow.

Terrific selection and all very tasty items. But what makes it really stand out - the people Staff made this a special evening by just taking extra step in making us comfortable. We came half across the globe to this city and this place just made it a great evening.

Cute atmosphere, super friendly staff and delicious food and cocktails. We almost walked past thinking inside would be small, but there was ample seating, with two separate dining areas. We ate upstairs and the laksa was sensational!

Last night, we visited the ever popular Ubiquitous Chip and it was another great dining experience. The Chip (as it's known) is a sister business to Stravaigin (another favourite of ours) and it's recently reopened after a bit of a refurbishment. There are various spaces to enjoy including a pub and bar as well as a large multi level restaurant area. The vaulted glass cieling area is a mix of brick, iron and big green plants. It's softened by interesting artwork, especially the stairway to the bathroom. Staff are always attentive, casual in approach but knowledgable. The atmosphere is always buzzing and the crowd tends to be very local. We enjoyed torched makeral and pigeon to start. Followed by sea trout and venison. To finish our meal, the desserts (chocolate delice and fig & custard) were the highlight. Highly recommend this Ashton Lane stalwart.

If it is for no shows mainly (which I do understand btw). Added photo/screenshot for booking policy. Initial review: The food was amazing and the service was good too. Giving 4* because if you happen to not manage to go within less than 24h they will charge £25 per person on the booking. Which is a bit cheeky! I understand lots of people won't even bother cancelling but I would say £10 per person with maybe 12h notice it would be understanding.

I like the food and service. I am Chinese and I am happy to see local people also enjoying the food which may mean the flavor is authentic. The gravy fries are attractive and worthy, the fries absorb the gravy and tastes special, crunchy but soft. The drinks are fancy. The classic burger tastes fresh, the buns are soft. Price equals to the quality and quantity. Will definitely go again.

I had the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Burger (and added a slice of halloumi) with tots. Both were excellent. Staff were consistently friendly and quick to help. Food came out promptly too Location is convenient, clean and has generally nice vibes. Thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely bang on this place is. If you want a top class burger. This place nails it. We always visit when we’re in Glasgow. It never disappoints. Today I had the Sunshine on Beef, with an extra patty. It was so good. A taste sensation. The chips are good too, but it’s all about the burgers here. Get stuck in, all over your face and dripping down your hands. Glorious time. I also had some “luxury vanilla ice cream” and it was rather good; the regular serving (3scoops) was a nice finisher. The vibe/decor is good, staff spot on so it’s a yes from me.

@burgerlayover Tried the Luther Burger and… wow. 🍔🍩 I usually stick to the classics on a first visit, but this one was labeled “A must-have!”—and I couldn’t resist. Think: hand-pressed dry-aged 6oz beef patty between two caramelized glazed doughnuts, topped with American cheese, candied bacon, and spicy honey mayo. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this one hits all the right notes. The doughnuts were incredible, and the sweet-savory balance was on point. I liked it so much I ordered their classic burger after finishing this one. Worth it.

We had a great dinner at the restaurant, decoration was cozy with light music. We had smashed cheeseburger, grilled chicken burger, beef brisket barbecue sandwich. And garlic Parmesan fries and buffalo fries. The food was delicious but super happy so the burger was so happy and fatty will come taking one instead of double Software) very friendly and if you’re looking for a gluten-free options, please ask for the gluten-free menu.🥪

Fun place to visit for dinner! American influenced place with a young crowd. Had no issues getting a table for 2 Friday evening at 5pm without reservation, but it was filling quickly. Burger was very tasty with lots of fun options for mains and sides.

Really great tasting, filling and greasy sandwiches! Good value for lunch deal . Beef brisket sandwich was perfection for a fried melty cheesy flavoursome dirty sandwich. The party one was actually a little too greasy to finish (my partner and I shared both) but all in all. Does what you expect and didn't disappoint! Just don't need to do much walking afterwards ha. Comfy seating with good light levels and spread out with plenty of options of varied sound semsitive areas like booths etc. Cocktails were ok. Overall a decent venue.

So much fun! And such a pretty space. Lots of tea varieties and the high tea service was delicious. Really enjoyed all my little bits and was VERY full by the end of it - we had to take some home. My only critique is that the tables were WAY too small for 4 people + teapots + tiered servers

Came here for afternoon tea and loved it! Beautiful old building, decorated very nicely. Staff are attentive and friendly. Good pricing. Cakes and scones were delicious. Sandwiches were lovely however could have more of a selection. Will definitely come again!

It offers a wide varieties of teas. The dessert is good and the sandwiches are nice as well. Most important is that they offer vegetarian menu!!! The afternoon tea experience is highly recommended !!

We came for the afternoon tea, and it was delightful. I have never been to a traditional afternoon tea before and this was fun and what I thought it would be like. It was A LOT of food. We had sandwiches, scones, and desserts as well as tea and/or coffee. We had good service and the location was handy. I definitely recommend. We did reserve ahead of time, but the restaurant appeared to be able to accommodate without a reservation.

Stopped by here for a quick brunch and got Eggs Royale and Eggs Benedict. They were alright but a bit basic and a bit bland so -1 star. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but you won't be sorry if you do.

Loved loved loved this place! Food was amaaazing, drinks were lovely and there was such a variety to choose from, the decor is also beautiful, very sweet photo op at the front door (odd comment but the toilets are also beautifully decorated) so pleased with our experience here, the staff were lovely and would definitely return!

This is an amazing place to eat and enjoy delicious food and drinks in Glasgow . The staff are all so friendly and attentive , and nothing was any trouble . There were 12 of us tonight , and everyone said they will definitely be back for another visit. We had a one year old with us , and the staff were all amazing at chatting away to her and cleaning up her chaos ( more food on the floor than she ate) 🙈 We also forgot my daughters birthday cake and this was all sorted for us on the night . Food was phenomenal. As always. Mrs said the Mac and cheese slightly lacked a bit of flavour this time. Everything else was on point. My mix grill was amazing.

This is now our favourite place to eat in Glasgow, everytime it is amazing, the nicest and most attentive staff nothing is ever a hassle to them. We have been there a good few times and wouldn’t go anywhere else for Italian food in Glasgow ❤️

This establishment has been around for years although it has moved premises since I was last in Duke St ( and that was many years ago ) real authentic Italian dining food was delicious staff very attentive could not find fault with anything another eatery I shall return to 5*

It was my first time at Coia's cafe and loved the experience .The food was mouth watering,kudos to the chef! The staff were really warm and welcoming, don't remember the guys serving us but they were very kind and helpful.I was absolutely gutted because of the weather, had booked the outdoor seating but due to the weather had to sit inside. Stopped in for a full breakfast, which was amazing -- and then I got to make my own Bloody Mary! Usually I prefer to leave mixology to the pros but I got a double gin before adding exactly the hot sauce, spices, and garnishes I wanted. Perfect with breakfast.

This bookclub bar had great vibes and an awesome Photo Booth that my friend and I definitely abused LOL. The drinks were pretty cheap and there was ping pong, Pac-Man, pool, and board games. People of all ages were here and the staff were great! Very vibey little place, totally recommend for a good gossip sesh!

An absolutely adorable spot that has incredible food and a cool vibe. We arrived right when they opened, which is why I suspect it took so long for our food, but it was mostly worth the wait. The staff was also very nice. I hope to return soon

I was greeted by the lovely Caitlin who made sure me and my friends had a great night with them for dinner and drinks. She was so extremely welcoming and gave us the list of her recommendations for food and drink- which she was NOT wrong at all. The food was incredible and she makes some insane cocktails. Big time fan of the bookclub since it opened. Try and beat my high scores on PAC man. Enjoy some table tennis for free. Food is great with the chicken and waffles option that seems to be a weegie delicacie. Great tunes and layout. Got very trendy later on with the "it" crowd. Burger was flavourful and enjoyable, but the atmosphere is a bit ‘flat’, feels like a train station cafe with little tables in a row. The staff seemed tired and jaded, just going through the motions. Unlikely to return, even though food was ok.

Nice restaurant; booked a table during the week for the 2/3 course special. The selections were great and the food was awesome. The staff there were also very patient, as we had a somewhat late booking. I got some minced steak as my main and creme Brule as dessert, can't exactly remember what my friend ordered but I've inserted a photo. I'd definitely recommend the place.

Very clean. Lovely helpful staff. My order was a bit bespoke. I wanted a mix of stuff. No trouble. They catered for my every wish. I even got lots of extra maple syrup on request. Presentation of food was very good too. Highly recommended.

Food is delicious and absolutely recommend the food, especially the French onion soup and braised beef, and place itself is beautiful and friendly staff but the service can be very poor with the kitchen especially for a busy night. Table of four sat at 6.30pm and everything done by 8.45pm was shocking. Huge gabs inbetween starter and main. Although we appreciated deducting all the drinks off the bill which helped our cost and made your review 3 instead of 2, but we were almost late for our cinema showing which started at 8.30pm. Lucky theres 20 minutes of adverts! Dont go if you have a pre booked cinema date!

I was here a couple of weeks ago with Friends. I absolutely loved it. Service was amazing so friendly and welcoming. food - French Onion soup and Creme Brulee fantastic. Enjoyed it that much going back for an Afternoon Tea.

Apparently a Glasgow Institution for decades, I had never heard of this West End Deli /restaurant. Had dinner Saturday night with our friends and had a fantastic experience. All the Italian classics available, and more besides , but with a Scottish twist. Great wine list, great service and impeccable food. Possibly the best Italian meal I've ever had and that's a bold statement.

We have been to Eusebi Deli before but it was few years ago so we were really looking forward to visiting it again. On this occassion it was with our family to celebrate my wife and I ruby anniversary. Everything was perfect from as soon as we went through the door. We had a corner table which was ideal for our party. The food was delicious. The crab ravioli was probably the best I have tasted. The service was great too with our server going through the menu dish by dish explaining what each dish was. And, of course to compliment our delicious food with some very tasty wine, the Pecorino is highly recommended. We won't leave it so long until we visit again.

Just a note to thank Michael and his team for a wonderful collection of savoury canapés which they provided for a pre-theatre gathering recently. My guests were very impressed with the range and tastiness of the platters. Hand delivered on lovely bamboo trays too. Fantastic, thank you 👏🏼❤️

We dined here today for lunch, and it was honestly so lovely!! The food was so tasty and fresh, my cocktail was delicious and to top it off our waitress (I wish I knew her name!) was so friendly, attentive and passionate about the food! Will definitely be back!

Where do I even start on this one- me and my husband are regulars and get coffee and cakes from Eusebi's on every occasion. It's almost like a ritual.it wouldn't be, if Eusebi's wasn't serving best coffee blend and pastries in Glasgow. This is not only place with vibrant history, but also great, authentic italian restaurant with brilliant service and above all- quality food, which makes you want to come back for more.

We visited to try a selection of the cakes on offer after hearing great things and they did not disappoint. Despite the size of each cake and the flavours on offer ,we ordered strawberry tarts, banoffee tarts and raspberry and coconut sponge cakes, they all managed to avoid being overwhelmingly sweet and were all beautifully light and airy which unfortunately for my waistline meant I was more than capable of eating eating every last crumb.

Had a lovely meal & drinks yesterday! We both had the steak & tried a few different cocktails. Zoe was lovely & so helpful 🥰 Will definitely be coming back!

The food was amazing. We went on a Wednesday night and was the only table there for a little while, so i’m guessing it’s quite quiet on a weekday. The deal for it was really good though, £5-£6 for a cocktail is a bargain, and the burger was so big that I had to take it apart before eating it!! 😁

Amazing veggie Sunday Roast 2 roasts and 2 glasses of wine/ beer for £35. Never see prices that good in the city! Staff were lovely and very attentive!

Had a blast at Saint Judes! First time trying their Sunday beef roast and I couldn’t get enough. Our server was so friendly too, wish I’d got her name. Can’t wait to go back!

Booked The Penthouse for a surprise 40th, the main selling point was karaoke as my partner loves a sing. Karaoke didn't work, despite several members of staff trying. It was clear it wasn't working, staff in and out and the music on and off. It was embarrassing and it did impact on the atmosphere, in the end I asked staff to just leave the music streaming from the main pub. I've since spoke to a few people who have had the same experience of the Karaoke, therefore, this is not a one off. Really nice venue though and staff had been really helpful on booking the venue and helping to arrange set up etc, but doubt I would book again.

Service wasn’t too great. The space also felt very small. We felt that the afternoon tea wasn’t great value for money and most of the items didn’t have much taste to them. Lovely setting though and the bathrooms were really pretty!

Great service - the guys here were honest and frank about when we were likely to get a seat and gave options. The drinks were beautiful and so well made (we were ordering from the Glasgow Cocktail Weekend menu). Everyone was attentive, the atmosphere was great - can’t fault it at all!

Have visited her for both breakfast and lunch and it is always amazing!! You get so much food! Whatever you can't manage you are able to takeaway with you. They often offer deals on Groupon which is amazing value for money. The staff are also really accommodating if you have any special dietary requirements.

Booking at 2.15 for afternoon tea - wasn’t served any tea until 2.55 - 15 mins after the food had been served. Food was fine, however when we were clearly finished and moved our dishes to the front of the table - the 2 waiters made no effort to clear the table and allow us to get the bill. After waiting 25/30 minutes for their attention, it wasn’t until we put our jackets on (shock) that we eventually got the attention of the waiters - one of which I believe was the manager. Seemed they preferred to have a conversation with each other outside the restaurant rather than doing what they get paid to do. Won’t be back and wouldn’t recommended this horrible service.

My friends and I always visit here for a birthday treat for each birthday and usually it is first class food at a premium price but usually worth the cost , however today was an expensive nightmare , first of all no Diet Coke in stock, when the afternoon teas came we looked in disbelief, 7 items were missing from the rack and were replaced with one cupcake that actually tasted of fish! We complained and were told that the menu had changed but we were then brought another 3 fish tasting cupcakes!! We could not eat the food after the first bite so asked for the manager who informed us that he was left in limbo and was doing the best he could , the waitress told us other people were complaining, especially about the fish tasting cakes , all this did not change the bill for £78 for 3 tiny rolls , three stale quarter sandwiches of some kind of red ham , 6 tiny button rolls , cream and jam , three tiny slices of a sausage roll and 6 tiny bites of some kind of triangular cake and of course the fishy tasting cakes plus three pots of tea !!! , the waitress agreed that she wouldn’t eat the food , she was fending off complaints from others as we sat there but it looks as if the owners are selling the place and letting it run down , We will NEVER visit here again and coupled with the smell from the drains outside it was an afternoon tragedy instead of an afternoon tea …

The food was great. I had the smoked salmon with eggs on toast. A little too much Scottish cheese, but delightful nonetheless. Great atmosphere.

First time visit, went for brunch. We sat inside, which was nicely decorated. Breakfast menu was small but a good choice. Liked the fact that the hot drinks came just before the food. I like to see scones before I order and there was none on display. Full breakfast was good nicely presented, husband did say that the toast was quite hard to cut, but that could just be the knife😏 Eggs Benedict was ok, eggs were hard no money shot. Link sausage in a roll was a bit disappointing, the sausages were skinny,Ike a chipolata and cut in half and slightly over done. Staff were busy and efficient. Would probably try somewhere else before before going back.

We stayed at a hotel and wanted to try something different than the breakfast buffet of the hotel. So we went to Cranachan twice with our one-year-old. The service was excellent and the food wasn't only delicious, but came really fast. The maitre was very professional and took good care of us! Thanks so much.

We arrived at 4pm to be told pre theatre meal didn't start until 4.30pm. However by 4.15pm we were told we could order from it which was great. The young waitress was lovely & very accommodating to our requests. The food was good. I had the bruschetta and chicken & both were lovely. Good value for money & would definitely recommend.

I had lunch in Cranachan cafe Princess Square Glasgow yesterday. Dreadful lunch I had cheese sandwich. Which consisted of soggy brown bread with scattering of cheese topped with branston pickle and some form of margarine? Bit of lettuce on side with no dressing and couple of crisp ( which were the best part of the meal) I followed this with sponge cake which was stale, crumbly and unappetizing. This restaurant in the past was good and the cakes were lovely. I know I should have complained at the time, thought better to think of the positives. Not many apart from waitress service and the coffee.

Booked a table , placed opposite the main restaurant which was quite quiet. The order was taken swiftly and coffee was nice dark roast. Full cooked breakfast was warm and delicious, only issue was the undercooked poached eggs. Reasonable prices and I will be back. Only issue was loud music that started playing intermittently within the arcade itself.

Nice afternoon tea experience in town! The three tier stand comes with super tasty sandwiches, fresh scones, cakes and tea fancies. Lovely coffee! The atmosphere is lovely especially sitting "out" in the indoor terrace at the top floor of the beautiful Princes Square. Service was attentive and friendly!

This is such a lovely place! Really fast and friendly service. I had the white chocolate frappe and brioche french toast with Nutella honeycomb and maple syrup and it was incredible. Best I’ve ever had. When traveling I always like going to new places but I’ll have to break that rule next time I find myself in Glasgow. I need to come back!! In the photo also is the full Scottish breakfast - the haggis and black pudding was great to taste them side by side and appreciate the differences. Please stop by here and I hope you have as good of a time as I did.

Decent service, atmosphere, and honestly I enjoyed my hot breakfast of eggs, toast, tatty scones. But I ordered a (bread) scone to go with clotted cream, and when I opened it on the train, I saw the scone was moldy and stale inside and the cream was also off. A shame, as that was all the food I had planned for the journey.

Great find hidden on West George St, everything from the breakfast to the coffee and cakes were top notch plus the service was quick aswell Those Morton rolls are huge by the way! My new favourite go to cafe in Glasgow

Have enjoyed many breakfasts here and still obviously v popular but think they need to have a think about their pricing after paying £18 for breakfast a few days ago. £9.50 for the slightly over cooked full Scottish, fair enough......but £4 for a pot tea for one, (including only one tea bag!)......and £4.50 for a glass of orange juice!! Would have been cheaper in the hotel. Left feeling ripped off.

We decided to try a new place this time but in our regular part of the city. And we were not disappointed. We requested a quiet corner and got exactly that. The service was great from the moment we entered. Very friendly staff and I'm gutted that I don't know the names except Tatiana who even made some good recommendations . We were made to feel very relaxed and everyone who served us was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. It was the dinner menu and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of it too. The wine was stunning and so was my mango rum. Dessert had some interesting flavours which were new but very welcome. Will definitely go back for more.

Absolutely banging food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Full vegan menu and, although there was no tofu, the staff recommended a suitable substitute where I didn’t feel like anything was missing from my plate at all. I had the vegan Lebanese and WOW, I really can’t recommend it more. Everything was so full of flavour, these might be the best potatoes I’ve ever eaten. My fiancé thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast too, we’ll definitely be coming back here if we find ourselves in Glasgow again.

Visited on a Friday night with a party of three and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was excellent—beautifully prepared and full of flavour. Service was exceptional: attentive, polite, and never rushed, even after we’d finished our meal. We appreciated that a discretionary service charge wasn’t automatically added, which is increasingly rare these days. That said, we gladly left more than 10%—it was well deserved. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place for dinner. Have been here a few times now and the food is amazing. The service is excellent too - special mention to Tuva who went above and beyond. It’s a lovely place and a very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend and will be back soon!

A Sunday well spent brings a week of content and all that. The Left Bank is just such a lovely, wholesome place to have a weekend brunch. Food was absolutely amazing. Such a good vegan breakfast and the matcha mousse with cherry and white chocolate was honestly one of the nicest things I have ever tasted 🍒 Please pass on thanks to your absolutely lovely staff members - the two male waiters on today at 11am. They could not have been more attentive and the place was absolutely rammed. Also my puppy Lychee says thank you for the biscuits and you get extra love for having a Lychee cocktail ❤️ thank you!

The service was fine, but the waiting time was far too long. We were seated at 11:50 and placed our order by 12, but didn’t receive our dishes until 12:40. Only one staff was there serving all tables at first. The soup tastes good, however, the fish finger ciabatta tastes exactly the same as fish & chips.

Food here is always great. Huge range of options, but enjoyed a delicious fry-up on my most recent visit. Staff always friendly and helpful. Dog friendly too.

Great pub, I go there often. The bar area is dog-friendly and the restaurant area isn’t so it tries to accommodate for almost everyone. There is also an outside area front and back, with the back one getting plenty of sun in the afternoon. The choice of beers is good and most of the ones on tap are nice. Other drink choices are also not too bad. Food is also good, the menu changes once in a while but classics like fish n chips are always there.

We celebrated a birthday with 15 of us. It was the weekend brunch menu and it was brilliant. The food and drinks were great and we preordered, which was perfect. The staff were great and the atmosphere was perfect. Relaxed and comfortable. Can’t thank all the staff enough. Great food. We will be back.

Foods pretty overpriced for just bog standard pub food. But they did have cold town for 3.50 so not too bad overall. Staff are very friendly and was good to watch the football (even though my team didn’t win!)

Played here with my band, and it was one of the best run venues I've played so far. Food was very nice (and really cheap), beer was reasonably priced, and the crowd were spectacular. Never played Scotland before but if they're all as good as Bloc+ I think I might move up there.

Awesome atmosphere, enormous vegan selection of food. My friend and I shared the vegan loaded hot dog, seitan gyro, seitan popcorn chicken, and vegan Mac and cheese, and all were amazing. The homemade seitan was incredible, and brilliant prices for huge portions!

First and last time ordering from this place. Took two hours for the food to come only for it to be stale and absolutely disgusting. £37 right down the drain

This place is just so awesome and I would definitely say a MUST when visiting Glasgow. Amazing food, the most genuine friendly service with no unnecessary fuss or pomp. May have to wait for a table as it gets very busy due to being a small restaurant, but its worth the wait. Will be making a beeline for bloc on our next visit.

If you are looking for bang for your buck this is pretty much the best menu in Glasgow city centre. The daily deals are amazing. It’s a perfect lunch spot. Portions aren’t massive but enough to fill you on a lunch or quick dinner. Just be wary not to chuck in some add on purchases as they pretty much double your bill and don’t really add value for the quality you get. It’s a pub, live music venue and eatery but I see it more of a cafe diner. It’s also an abso bargain. Highly recommended!

I went to Bloc+ when I was on Holiday to Glasgow. I tried out this place out with someone I know who introduced me to this restaurant bar. The food tastes so good. I believe I had chicken wings with chips and some type of normal drink. There was spice in it on the menu. However I ask the man to not put the spice sauce on the chicken because I don’t like spice at all even a little bit. The man put the sauce in a small container separately and away from the chicken. So I’m glad the staff members are also nice there too. The atmosphere and design for the bar restaurant was very nice,cosy and cool. There was also a TV I wasn’t sure but I think it was showing an old recording of something playing a video game. Bloc+ has affordable stuff on their menu. I was told that bands play music in the bar/restaurant, I didn’t see anyone but maybe that because I came in the afternoon. You can also order takeaway from the comfort of your own home using Uber Eats app or Just Eat etc. They have menu options for vegetarians and vegans too. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and eat at Bloc+ I really recommend going there and I will definitely be coming back the next time I come up to Glasgow.

Visited here whilst in Glasgow for work. Another review stated it served Halal steaks, so I called, and they confirmed they serve Halal beef steaks, beef burgers, and hot dogs, which are cooked separately. The steak was lovely. It was a 10oz ribeye with peppercorn sauce, which was equally as delicious. The mac and cheese was creamy, and overall, the service was good, albeit it was an extremely quiet early weekday evening. Would certainly consider visiting again.

Wow! One of the best breafasts I've had in Glasgow. Laid back atmosphere with super friendly staff. The food was outstanding! I had the Cinnamon Bun Stack and even though it sounded like it would potentially be overly sweet, it wasn't. All the flavours and toppings balanced nicely and I'd highly recommend giving it a whirl. Wee man had the bog standard Buttermilk Pancake with Maple Syrup and he loved it!

Sit-down interior with tables & booths. Lovely service & fantastic food options. Great selection of coffees & other drinks as well. Fast service & ability to customize quite a bit. (Note for US customers: eggs are either 'hard' or 'runny'; no such thing as over-easy or over-well!). Also customize every little add-on, so don't pay for what you don't want -- most sides we found were enough for 2 people to share. Sweet options can be incredibly sweet, so ask questions for clarity. Lots of sweet options but lots of savory too! Delicious fresh food!

We went for some sweet pancakes so got the super fruit and the biscoff. always really filling and I have still not managed to eat it all. recommend the hot honey chicken if looking for a savory one.

Food was so good. The buttermilk pancake short stack, veggie breakfast, cajun tater tots and bottomless drip coffee was exactly what the doctor ordered for a late breakfast/ early lunch. Service was very attentive, I got 4x coffee refills brought to me. Place was pretty quiet though, so can't say too much about atmosphere, but the layout and decor would suggest it could be buzzing when busy. We'll definitely be back.

If you love pancakes, sweet or savoury, this place is for you. I’ve been 5 times in the past, not once have I left hungry or unsatisfied. This visit was no different. Food- absolutely delicious options, the pancakes themselves are soft and simple (I had the protein mix which has 34g per pancake). The toppings were almost as mouth watering to look at as they were to eat. We took the pulled pork stack and the Nutella pretzel stack. Unfortunately there were no more pretzels left but the waiter let us substitute for biscoff crumbs (didn’t get his name but you’re my hero!) The variety is truly excellent and very accessible for those with funky dietary requirements. Staff are spot on. Vibe was excellent. Pancakes were pancakey. Would recommend.

We really liked this coffee. It's quite small and got hardly any seating unless you can sit outdoors. The bagel was amazing. The breakfast bun was fine. But bit uninspiring. The location is great. Just 2min walk from Central Station.

The to go cup for my espresso is a dead giveaway. But If like your coffee dark,bitter, slightly burnt and 150C* this is for you. The bacon roll was great 👌 The staff is great 👌

Sandwiches, pastries and coffee was good. Some of the staff was great, but others weren’t so much. Bad vibes from some of them. Tiny cafe with not much sitting areas, but when you’re in it’s nice! Music a bit random though, could be nice to be a calmer area by the busy street!

It was my first visit to this amazing wee cafe, the staff were attentive, the food and its presentation were immaculate. The coffee (Americano) was smooth, not bitter and the bacon roll was exceptional. The staff wrapped it in a grease proof wrapper, wrapped like a gift and tasted like one too! Great value for money, the highest quality and friendly staff! Highly recommended!👏

It's a small coffee bar that is great for takeaway and good for a quick sit in if it's not busy. The seats at the window provide a nice view if you enjoy people watching, and the staff were extremely welcoming and delightful. The coffee was nice and smooth, and the food was rather flavourful. There are plenty of options for vegetarians. However, there aren't many vegan options. The pastries and treats looked incredible, but I have yet to try one myself. It's a little pricey for a small bite in a small establishment, but I know small businesses are struggling with inflation at the moment, so I can not be too harsh about that. Overall, I would definitely recommend popping in for a coffee.

Wanted a quickly cooked breakfast before heading out of Glasgow. Ended up getting just a coffee because the hob was a flat surface grill that cooked everything including eggs, which I am allergic to and mentioned to the staff. The breakfast I saw others have looked lovely though. Just a pity that they don’t cater to allergies. Also, they’ve got a small sitting area so your best bet is to take out or suffer getting squeezed between the rush hour queue, and smell of grease on your clothes and hair after you’re done eating.

Gutted Riverhill has now closed. Had been our favourite coffee shop in the centre for years. The soup with bread was always incredible. The mocha was the best I’ve had and it was always welcomingand cosy. There was a time I had a half shawarma or soup every day. I’ll also miss the overnight oats. Absolute best of luck for the future and at uni and hopeful for what’s coming next.

What a joy it was to enjoy breakfast here - the manager was so warm and friendly, welcoming us to the new premises. Best flat white we had in Glasgow! Salmon on sourdough was super as well as the Scottish breakfast. Generous servings and great vibes.

The coffee, breakfast, and food are delightful, although the prices are a bit high. However, the freshness and deliciousness are undeniable, and the service teams provide excellent care. The location is also quite appealing.

Spitfire Espresso deserves all the praises. The hospitality from the barista guy, is what we all need here in the UK. Vibes good and definitely a place to enjoy your coffee in peace. Was intrigued that they do serve some good cold brew! Cheers! 🙌🏼

Lovely and attentive service with a nice breakfast selection, and solid coffee. Had scrambled eggs on (fantastic) sourdough toast with a generous add-on of smoked salmon. Flat white beverage. Very kind folks who answered several of my questions -- and a lovely, light space!

I spent the morning at Spitfire with my dog, as I had a couple of hours before my train I had a breakfast burrito and ordered a pastrami sandwich to takeaway. The service from both the girls working was great. Both happy to have a chat when they weren't too busy. They also brought over a bowl of water for my dog straight away. The coffee was really good, I had multiple cups of the filter coffee ( they had a Indonesian roast on), I bought a bag of these beans to take home. The food was also really good

First time visit to this excellent eatery, lunching with a friend . The restaurant is situated on main Kilmarnock rd at the south tip where shawlands becomes Newlands and has pavement cafe seating suitable for ,at least, todays weather.A typical menu of burgers, sandwiches etc, the bonus is all superior quality .My Pastrami on sourdough was very tasty washed down with a simple pot of tea. Waitress serving us was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a great dining experience well worth repeating. Moderate pricing also is very worthy of note.You know the saying " Well you never know". Whilst waiting for our lunch to arrive at our outdoor table, a guy came along the mainstreet with two large colourful parrots, one in each hand.He stopped and perched them on the restaurant's street advertising sandwich board.These birds are so clever, colourful and attractive .We knew not his purpose but i politely asked for a photo and he said,no problem. As i said " Well, you never know" Unsure? Don't ask Kilmurray, ask Chic Murray.🤗

Had breakfast outside this morning, on a very warm day. The waitress was both very pleasant and efficient, and a carafe of chilled water was provided when I arrived. As it was both hot and sunny, I asked if the awnings might be extended. I was told - very apologetically - that they were broken. I had a coffee - perfectly acceptable - and Eggs Benedict. Sadly, the dish was very much below par. The poached eggs were overcooked, with almost hard yokes, the bacon, described as 'crispy', was simply tough, both to cut and eat, and the slice of sourdough toast on which the eggs and bacon were served, was very thin, and hard. (A thicker slice would have been softer). The hollandaise sauce was unseasoned, but salt would have dealt with that. All in all, I'm afraid it was a disappointing experience, despite the staff, and the general ambience. If I knew the standard of the food had materially improved, then I would return, but not until then.

Enjoyed a lovely brunch today. I had the eggs benedict which were cooked to perfection while the rest of my group had the full cooked breakfast and the vegan equivalent. Everyone was happy and very full. The service was excellent, all the staff were friendly and helpful. They were busy, as its obviously a popular spot but we didn't have to wait too long. Great value for money, we will be back soon!

Great menu for breakfast or lunch with eggs, sandwiches, or sweet things like massive pancake stacks. We had 2 main dishes from their savoury options and really enjoyed them, delicious hollandaise! The sweet potato fries also very tasty.

Staff are nice and the coffee is good. Food definitely needs improving. Came here for brunch and ordered the eggs and ‘sliced’ avocado. It was awful. Rather than use actual avocado, it was clear they had just used a supermarket ‘guac’ - it tasted so artificial and I couldn’t finish it. Really not a hard dish to make taste nice. No seasoning either. Won’t be rushing back, which is a shame because the food used to actually be good. Great location and nice interior though.

The most unimpressive vegan breakfast I’ve had in a long time. The individual items were ok but altogether it was dry and tasteless. Didn’t even have spread for the toast. I don’t mind if places don’t care for vegans, I really dislike a half-arsed attempt at a vegan dish though. Lovely service though.

I don’t know why nobody takes about this cafe! We came here for breakfast and it was so delicious! We had the ultimate vegan breakfast and the vegan breakfast muffin and both tasted amazing! Afterwards you can also eat a sweet treat and the price is totally okay for Glasgow. Loved it, definitely coming back next time we are in Glasgow

It markets as a place with gluten free options but all they have to offer is toast, 4 items in the vegan breakfast contain gluten, they should not be doing this

Cute, little café serving a range of vegan, vegetarian and meat breakfasts and breakfast sandwiches (other foods too, but I went at breakfast time). I had the vegan breakfast muffin (a Scottish muffin with vegan square sausage, vegan cheese, vegan eggs and tatty scone...yum!). Lots of vegan cakes and vegan macaroni pies (!) in the cabinet. I will return next time I'm in Glasgow.

Today was a first visit for me; wait time was fine, service was ok, as was the atmosphere. The cafe could be cleaner, as could the loos and the place could do with a lick of paint, overall though, it was fine.

Danielle from Rose and Grants was so very helpful accommodating 17 young adults visiting from London who were looking for a vegan breakfast venue at 8am on weekday morning. Danielle arranged a large table for us all to sit together and the staff were all very helpful and patient with our large group all arriving at the same time. The food was absolutely delicious and a great selection for those who are vegan! I would highly recommend Rose and Grants for the food and the for the service!

I’ve been here for the first time for a brunch with my sister. The place is pretty simple but well organized. We ordered a full breakfast and a poached eggs with sriracha hollandaise sauce. We really enjoyed the food! Both were well prepared and the taste was very good. The service was fast and staff was very kind. A nice place where to have a nice brunch without rush

This is the best breakfast / brunch place in Westend Glasgow! Lovely staff. Walk ins only! Iced coco matcha was divine!!! We ordered kimchee burger, tiramisu banana bread, and smoked bacon french toast - all tasted so good!!! The wait time for food to be served is quite long but definitely worth the wait 🫶💯

I've only stopped in for coffee, but this is a solid spot for coffee enthusiasts. They offer a great selection of rotating single-origin options , and their bagged beans are reasonably priced. The place is always packed, which tells you a lot. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the food.

Excellent baked goods, delicious hot white coffee. Popular and crowded on a Sunday morning-small eatery. A local gem! Our guide had recommended this spot and we were not disappointed.

A great brunch spot, warm and welcoming, with friendly service that makes you feel at home. The food is fresh and delicious, and the avocado on sourdough was a real standout. Paired with a smooth cappuccino, it made for the perfect relaxed catch-up. Definitely a place I’d love to return to!

Flat White was good but it was absolutely freezing inside and very unpleasant. I closed the door but they kept on opening it and making it freezing cold inside. If I wanted to sit outside, I would go and sit outside. People normally go to coffee shops to and PAY to sit in a nice warm cozy coffee shop (especially in winter). It's a shame be the coffee itself was good but I won't be returning due to the cold temperature inside. Also, £4 for a flat white is....

The food is delicious. I wish I ordered coffee, its look richy but I've to go. The barista is looking professional and highly hygiene. I saw him every time he washed his hands between each a couple of orders.
