Cocktail bar
Restaurant
Kelvingrove Café is a trendy brasserie bar located in the West End of Glasgow. The atmosphere is dark and hip, with leather banquettes, wood paneling, and exposed brickwork creating a cool and relaxed vibe. The bar gleams with brass fittings and offers a selection of sophisticated mixed drinks primarily based on fortified wines and Amaro instead of spirits. The cocktails are bold and well thought out, made with house-made ice that's crafted using 1930s Glasgow techniques.
Was strolling along the street contemplating what to have for lunch. Came across a few eateries but pretty empty. This restaurant was pretty packed. Recalled reading they only served all day breakfast. However, I decided to head in and check them out. And concidentally, today is the first day they are serving Sunday roast. 22 pound Sunday roast with beer is priced well. Food was reasonably good.

Came for brunch, really nice coffee and both are meals were delicious.

Went in for a quick cocktail before dinner. I tried the old fashioned and I really enjoyed it, I'd recommend. Need to go back and try some of the other things they have on offer, quite a few cocktails sounded good.

Loverly little cafe friendly helpful team. Managed to get a table for 6 without booking. Loverly food and coffee. The French Onion Soup was epic ! The Stornaway Eggs were lovely with such a great big piece of black pudding. Avocado eggs were also excellent as well. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

One of our favourite places to visit. Great food and really nice atmosphere. Well located. Try the French onion soup it’s awesome.

This place is a gem in the West End of Glasgow. Lovely, smooth, and chill vibes — no loud music. Great drinks and cocktails. The perfect spot in the heart of the West End to enjoy a nice time.

the drinks were 5/5 the food was 1/5. for the price your paying you would hope the food was as good as the drinks. i come here a lot for the cocktails was my first time eating and probably my last. food was super oily and greasy didn't feel nice eating it

Cocktail bar
Tucked away in Glasgow's Merchant City, The Absent Ear draws inspiration from the renowned artist Vincent Van Gogh. This hidden gem pays homage to his artistic legacy with a touch of creativity and a hint of madness. Voted as one of the top 50 bars in the UK, it offers an exceptional cocktail experience with a unique menu that features spirits specifically chosen for each drink. The cocktails are complemented by individual artworks and served by knowledgeable staff who provide excellent recommendations.
Fantastic cocktails and such a good experience! Definitely will be recommending this to my friends. Absolutely love that you can choose a selection of premium spirits as the base for the cocktail - first time I’ve experienced this! Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.
Holly B — Google review
So what's great about this place is they change things up on how you order from time to time. Right now you get a tablet and there's an art gallery, each artwork has a cocktail recipe and you pick an alcohol from a list. I uploaded a little video of it. Cool concept. I guess in the past they had a symptom thing and a secret confession box or something. They had them still so we read them all and some are quite funny. The drinks are above average for town but not the best we had by any means. However we have some very high standards as we travel and hunt down the best of the best. Based on vibe and creativity this place rates high. So I would recommend a visit if you are in town.
Rick K — Google review
Honestly this place is Glasgow's hidden gem. From decor, to ambience, to staff friendliness and the tastiest cocktails! 10/10 and we will definitely return. Huge thank you to the two guys behind the bar on Sunday (07/09) who couldn't have been more helpful and helped celebrate my other half's birthday. Highly recommend!
Hollie G — Google review
What a hidden gem! Cool virtual gallery menu concept. Also nice to see that they support the local artists’ works. I like that you can customise your drink’s base according to your taste. They also give you little trinkets to engage with which is entertaining. Very bold and smart drinks. Good fun overall!
Bea M — Google review
What an awesome hidden gem! By far the best cocktails we had our whole trip or even ever! The whole experience was mesmerizing and delicious; to the point my fiancé and I would’ve tried every, delicately crafted, cocktail if our wallets allowed haha. The interactive menu was clever and perfect for the setting! Staff was very intuitive and Elijah was awesome. Will definitely be revisiting next time in Glasgow!
Absalon L — Google review
Came recently to the bar to celebrate a birthday with friends- love the vibe, super cool concept, and absolutely love the service, staff go beneath and beyond. Super friendly and 5 star review for the staff. Amazing tasting cocktails too 🤩
Katie L — Google review
Great experience overall, the drinks were unique and for me I took myself out of my comfort zone to ensure I had the best experience. From start to finish I loved every minute. Definitely a must try for those visiting Glasgow!
Brian K — Google review
Hidden cocktail bar beneath the Amsterdam. We booked, not sure they do walk ins, the theming is fun and reflects the speakeasy vibe they're going for. The menu is provided through an ipad, with the drinks represented by a painting, our server walked us through it, offered tastings and was knowledgeable about all the ingredients which went into them (many of which were new to me). The drinks were completely out there, you choose which spirit you want (out of the three provided) which was a nice twist. We tried a thick Thai green concoction, my partner wanted to try one which she'd seen online but was no longer on the menu though they still made it, fortune cookie old fashioned, though my highlights were the margarita style drink with crack salt which I'll contend is probably the best variation of that cocktail I've had. Also the coffee with choux foam to finish on. All in all the cost isnt much more expensive than other cocktail bars and this felt more of an experience, it's not cheap but a fun treat, the service was exceptional and you'll not find drinks like this anywhere else, so it's worth the indulgence.

Seafood restaurant
Bar
The Finnieston is a casual restaurant and cocktail bar in Glasgow, known for its locally-sourced seafood and bespoke beers. The interior boasts rustic wooden furniture and exposed brick walls, creating a stunning setting to enjoy expertly crafted cocktails alongside inventive and delicious seafood dishes. With a focus on sustainable Scottish seafood, the menu offers steamed Shetland mussels, oysters, sirloin steaks, handmade silken tofu, and an extensive collection of gins.
We recently had our wedding meal and evening reception at The Finnieston and couldn’t be happier with how our day went!! From our first visit to the Oyster Bar as a potential reception venue we knew from speaking with Zoe that this is where we wanted to host our wedding. We were also offered the option to hire their outdoor courtyard for our meal which we knew would work perfectly for our vision. Zoe was so professional, warm and friendly throughout the entire process. She was super communicative on email and would keep us updated with any suggestions from her team as to what they could with for us. Nothing was ever too much and she was so flexible between menu choices, drinks lists, venue decor and set up. On the day itself, the team were incredible and we all felt to well looked after. Despite the unpredictable weather (storm Amy!), Zoe and her team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and the venue was set up exactly how we had envisioned. The food was absolutely delicious, from bar snacks on arrival to dinner and our evening buffet, we couldn’t be more grateful to the chefs and kitchen team for the food they delivered on the day. Everyone was raving about it. A special thank you also goes to the bar tenders working in the Oyster Bar who were nothing but charming and professional throughout the entire evening. Thank you a million times over to Zoe and everyone else at The Finnieston. We had the BEST time and will hold a special place for this restaurant for years to come. See you again for our first anniversary?!
Kathleen M — Google review
Enjoyed dining at The Finnieston today. It’s got a great atmosphere—exactly what you’d hope for in a British pub that specializes in seafood. I kept it simple and went with the fish and chips. The food was good, the service was quick, and the prices were reasonable. Probably about a 4 out of 5 stars, and I’d be happy to return.
Jerry F — Google review
Unfortunately we had reserved for lunch and were so looking forward to our experience which was lacking to say the least. They had none of the gins I was looking for even after having almost 100 on the menu. Then came ordering food, the waiter didn't write anything down so of course forgot we had ordered 3 Oysters. When our mains came they were what we would call side plates. We really couldn't get out of here quick enough. Sorry but not for me, overpriced and nothing special.
Janice A — Google review
Nice Food, nice bar and friendly staff. My only complaint was the food wasn't really hot? Maybe served on a cold plate speeded that process up, but my steak was warm at best and by the time I was done was actually cold.
Carlinj6 — Google review
This place was absolutely fantastic! If you’re looking for good seafood, this is the place to go! The atmosphere is really nice, staff is amazing, and the food was so good!

Great little place, very g friendly staff. Good food and excellent atmosphere. Would highly recommend that you stop by for a dinner should you be near.

We’ve always been fans of The Finniestone and it really helps that they are doggo friendly But we loved our dinner on the Thursday night so much we came back on the Friday lunch when we came through Glasgow on our way on holiday. Both outstanding. Plenty of gluten free options - and one big one worth a mention is the gluten free battered squid - not sure what they make that batter with but it was delicious with a really nice dip. Oysters = amazing - actually had one of the best oysters of my life on the Thursday night. My friend said the same. Seabass ceviche = delicious. Oh the fired mackerel was sooooooo good. I want a fan of the peach thing with it but that’s just me, my hubby loved it. I loved the fennel (I think it was) Mussels both times = banging This place also does the most beautiful New Zealand sauvignon blanc. My hubby and pal LOVED the mac and cheese with brown shrimp in it and a seafood crust. I had a cheeky taste and it was good (I’m gluten intolerant not coeliac). But the good news for coeliac’s is that they have a GF frier! The only thing these guys could do to excel more and we are being really fussy here, would be: GF DF Mac and cheese on the menu - I think it would be popular GF fish supper / fish fingers - opening the option up to a wider audience Oh and my hubby said he would like more of the seafood crust on the Mac and cheese - like a layered vibe. He just really liked the crust. I realise we are being very demanding now - can’t wait to see you next time

TABAC is a charming and unpretentious watering hole located in Mitchell Lane, City Centre. The cozy and dimly-lit space attracts a young and hip crowd looking to enjoy beer, wine, and creative signature cocktails. For those seeking something more adventurous, there's the exclusive Panther Milk Bar hidden behind a nondescript rear door, offering the legendary Spanish concoction Leche de Pantera in old-school glass milk bottles.
Great chilled out place producing many none standard cocktails to your liking however no WiFi so you'll have to make conversation for a change 😊😊

Such kind staff. Hella love for Reyka and Beattie! We had a good convo abt photography and loads of other stuff. Also, decently priced and well made drinks. Here are a few flicks myself and Beattie took. #35mm

We came here after work on a Monday. It was busy but not overbearing, and the music was really good. Loved the cocktails (we had the Glass Tears and a non alcoholic one) and we’d like to go again!
Alkistis P — Google review
It is a very attractive bar in the city centre. The sound system is pretty good. Lots of cocktails along with the requisite beer & wine. The crowd is fairly young. Everyone is here for a fun night out. They could mix up the playlist a bit. The generic house music got a bit tedious. Service was efficient.
Tom L — Google review
Visited tabac lastnight 12/10. Arrived and got a table, my boyfriend and his friend got served by a member of staff at the bar who was incredibly stand offish and rude for no reason. Later on I was served by lovely man with curly hair but sadly he gave me a shot glass (which I didn’t know) with a chip in the rim so when I took the shot the glass sliced my upper lip and began to bleed. I returned to the bar to make them aware of this and staff literally couldn’t have cared less and continued to work. My lip was bleeding and the blood was on my hand and no resolution or help was offered. We left after this as although the atmosphere was nice the treatment and handling of that situation was wild to me. Will not be back.

What a fantastic wee hidden gem, just down a quiet side street from the hubbub of the main shopping area. Well worth a visit. Plenty of helpful, informative staff and lovely atmosphere. Really great choice of good quality drinks, too.

Tight squeeze, quite packed. Menu was different from what was posted online. Bar was busy, took a bit to get our drinks. Drinks themselves were tasty and spirit forward.

If you are looking for somewhere to impress you can’t go far wrong with Gin 71. The interior is really quite special. Decadent, romantic, arty. I loved it. The drinks were fairly affordable and tasted great. I recommend the Negroni and the Ginstar Martini. Service is friendly but not the fastest so go early if you have onward plans. Great date venue or for a special occasion

Very nice selection of gins, the place is stylish and the waiters/waitresses are really classy and elegant. The staff keep the masks on which I appreciated and they are very helpful. expect pricey drinks though and I had to pay deposit to book.
Giulia — Google review
This place was absolutely wonderful to visit and the staff are even better. They did so well in accomodating me. I'm not really a huge drinker so I didn't really know what to order but they helped me so much in choosing some fantastic drinks that I could have drunk all day long. They also did their best to feed me as I had just come off a flight from the airport so they brought out some little snacks for me that I could enjoy with my cocktails. They are definitely gin experts and this place is now absolutely my favourite bar despite me living in Birmingham. I hope to visit Glasgow more often for the sole purpose of drinking at this bar with my family.
Dylon H — Google review
Really nice little gin bar with plenty of options to choose from. The staff are clearly very knowledgeable and are able to help you come to a decision. A little on the pricey side but nothing too ridiculous. Would highly recommend popping in for one or 2... Or 5. Haha
Neil C — Google review
The quality of the drinks a and the features of the place makes it the best stop is Glasgow where to have a classy time and a perfectly served gin tonic. The staff is prepared and polite and the rotation of costumers makes the queue time short. The selection of drinks and gin variety goes from Swedish to Mediterranean, same for the tonic water. Prices are high but worth it.

Great atmosphere. We booked 2 high top tables as we were celebrating a birthday in Glasgow. We only came for cocktails as we had a restaurant round the corner booked for dinner. Cocktails were gorgeous. Our party had 2 cocktails each.i had the cherry bomb and the best mojito I’ve ever tasted!!! We all agreed we need to come back and sample more cocktails and food Service was a bit slow but the bar was really busy.As we were seated at the tables at the bar we got to experience the bar staff making cocktails so I kept us entertained! Bathroom facilities were spotless and the box of essentials (deodorant, dry shampoo and period products) was appreciated ,something that isn’t seen in bars in my home town.

--- Fantastic atmosphere – would definitely recommend! We didn’t have a reservation but were really pleased to get a table for 1.5 hours, especially given how busy it was on a Saturday. Although we didn’t eat this time, the dishes we saw coming out looked amazing – we’re already planning to come back just for the food! Huge shout-out to our server, who was incredibly bubbly, friendly, and attentive – the service was spot on and really added to the experience.

Food and service were excellent! Every member of staff were to the same standard of service. Lovely atmosphere, place was spotless and so were the toilets. Food was incredible. Will be back.
Stephen D — Google review
Went with high expectations for drinks on a saturday night because of the reviews, but it was below average. The cocktails were really really tasteless and did not look good either. We had far better drinks at places that were not labeled as a sophisticated cocktail bar. However the place has a nice design, staff is nice but they don t know very well the cocktails. Pretty crowded, book a table in advance.
Anca — Google review
I had booked the boozy brunch at spiritualist as I had wanted to go try it for a while. Pride in Glasgow proved to be the perfect opportunity. The brunch dishes available offers good mix and allowing those in party to go off the al carte menu as well is a nice touch. The drink options were decent however to advertise 1 cocktail as part of the main menu that didn't also feature on the boozy brunch is a bit silly. The music was pride appropriate and the staff were all very friendly. Will definitely return.

Amazing experience in this modern twist on a traditional Scottish pub. The staff are really passionate about the drinks they make and toasties were to die for too. Some of the best cocktails we've had in Glasgow!

Visited for the first time in years for their whisky Weekender event with Sebbs and Highland park and absolutely loved it. Whisky was excellent and great value for the ticket, food pairings from Sebbs were delicious, but the chat and service provided by Andy & the team are what makes the Gate so standout - you're not a customer, you're a warmly welcomed guest. Easily one of the best bars in Glasgow

The restaurant's commitment to non-drinkers is evident in its 'Sailing Sober' section, featuring an entire list of alcohol-free mocktail options, including themed signature serves like Pure Shores and Fifer.
Had lunch here over Christmas. An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! The place was stunning, the food was not only well presented but bursting with flavour, and the service was impeccable. The staff struck the perfect balance—attentive and warm without being intrusive. Truly, there isn’t a single thing I could fault. Simply lovely!

The VIP menu is good value. I liked this place, the portions are generous and it doesn’t try to be too fancy. Knows its strengths. Service friendly and efficient. Building is fairly spectacular and lives the vintage travel prints.

I had an absolutely brilliant time during my recent visit! The food was top-notch, especially the soup of the day—great taste, quality, and definitely good value for money. The staff were super friendly and always checking to see if we needed anything, which made the atmosphere feel welcoming. Every aspect, from the drinks to the cleanliness, hit the mark perfectly. I can’t wait to come back for another meal!

Beautiful, lively, upscale atmosphere. Attentive but not overbearing service. Our farewell dinner for 2 in Glasgow, we were very happy with our choice. The food and drinks were delicious. I would definitely return. My husband had a steak which he loved. Cooked to perfection. I Good feelings all around.

Had a really lovely family Christmas meal at The Anchor Line. The Festive Menu was really nice and we all enjoyed each course we chose. Great festive decor and felt like a special Christmas lunch. The only thing that let it down was the volume of the live piano got a bit too loud later in the afternoon and it became difficult to hear each other at the table. It was my first visit and I’d definitely return as the quality of the food was excellent.

Staff were amazing! Young lady waiting on us had just started but she was very attentive and helpful. The fish and chips were delicious and recommended by the front desk staff at AC Hotel, Glasgow. A great experience overall!

Had the most wonderful lunch here for my birthday. We ordered chateaubriand with french fries, salad and macaroni cheese. Chateaubriand was just the most tender and delicious steak ever and I have had quite a few. Ordered medium rare and it was perfect! Everything was cooked to perfection and came very hot. The portion sizes were generous and the service was excellent. Highly recommend and I will return as the food is simply delicious!!!

Lovely restaurant, expensive but they have massive overheads so justifiable. The food was good but I wouldn’t say very good or excellent, slightly underwhelming for the money but I would go again. I won’t be eating oysters here again, they serve their grilled oysters on the rare side and I was unwell. I never eat raw oysters in cities and in hindsight I should have sent them back. Occupational hazard for people who eat seafood in restaurants.

Nestled in the heart of Glasgow's city center, Champagne Central offers a nostalgic journey to the golden age of travel. The vintage hotel bar boasts a stunning setting with a domed ceiling, marble pillars, and an elegant chandelier. Guests can indulge in an extensive selection of drinks, including over 20 champagnes, locally-produced gins, and classic and contemporary cocktails.
The perfect treat having completed the entire Glasgow Mural Trail, before getting my train home. Champagne Central is a stunning bar and restaurant located within Glasgow Central Station. My dishevelled appearance, backpack, and hiking boots ensemble did not preclude me from my celebration treat. From the moment my weary body dragged itself through the doors the staff could not have been more helpful. The first young gentleman pointed me towards a copy of the menu and gave clear instructions to the Champagne Bar, including the lift in case my legs faltered at the thought of the stairs. Having arrived at the bar and restaurant I was seated without issue, I did not pre book. I would consider this a must during busy periods. The staff were all polite, courteous, and helpful. The menu was exciting and traditionally Scottish, so venison meatballs it would be! I was not at all disappointed. I will definitely be saving up to enjoy the full experience and planning another visit, I want to sample some of the amazing sounding cocktails. The surroundings were exceptionally relaxing and of another period in time that conveyed the opulence from the heyday of train travel. The facilities were of the highest quality, clean,  and inclusive.

Full disclosure: we had a wowcher for afternoon tea and am not sure if the food was a reflection of that. There was no tea menu. We were told the options. When the teapot arrived there was twinnings tea pouch stuck in the lid (see photo). Not a good start. No looseleaf tea. No premium teabag. As to the afternoon tea itself, it was the like something from the 1990s. Three finger sandwiches. Cucumber, cheese and cheese and pickle. Tasted as dull and tired as the looked. One scone each. That was nice. As was the chocolate brownie cake thing but that was pretty much all that was from the sweet section. Also, they seemed short staffed. No-one came round to refresh our drinks despite them being unlimited tea and coffee. A sad and sorry afternoon tea.

Exceptional customer service. The bar area has only high stools but the manager saw that my mum in a wheelchair could reach the tables so they offered us a normal table in the dining space which is typically not dog friendly but they made an exception for us. It was greatly appreciated. The food was decent, and served quickly. The service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for the level of service and convenience to Glasgow station.

We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night. The surroundings are very decadent and beautiful and I really love the chandeliers! The atmosphere was very loud and busy and the bar was very busy. I would like to leave a review about our waitress Emily David she was very smiley, chatty and helpful and really looked after us. Thank you Sarah and Steve

Afternoon disappointing. Told our FIRST cup of tea was included. Not enough savoury selection. 2 sandwiches each. Non descript savoury muffin. Cake selection extremely random. Best part for me was the scone with jam and cream. Staff kept disappearing.

Do not order food here! We asked them to order food. They did not take our order for 45 minutes. Despite asking several times to order. It was always someone else that did the food. Finally at 9:10pm someone came over to tell us that food was cut off except for room service! Not impressive for such a nice hotel

We can’t thank Tabbi enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect! Despite an issue I had with transport, Tabbi made sure I didn’t worry and worked her magic getting everything back on track without a hitch, no one even noticed! Tabbi made sure every detail was perfect and had so many amazing recommendations that helped us along the way. She took on all of our DIY decor and really couldn’t have done any more for us throughout the entire journey. I honestly can’t put into words how much I appreciate everything she did. Thanks to her, we had the most perfect day I could’ve ever imagined. Our guests also had an amazing time, and we had so many people tell us just how perfect the day was and how much they all loved it. Huge thanks to Tabbi and the whole team for all their hard work. We highly recommend this venue for any special event—it was beyond our expectations! Many thanks from The Reid’s, 21.03.2025

My Wife and I got married here just under 2 weeks ago now. It was absolutely flawless. Our Wedding Planner Tabitha Neville was so caring and attentive to the tiniest details that it just took a HUGE pressure off of the entire process. She was a complete godsend that worked tirelessly to make our wedding day perfect, right up to the very end of the actual wedding with all the rest of the staff who were lovely. The venue was beautiful at every possible place you stood, just immaculate. The food was perfect and the drinks were definitely on point! We were so delighted that it was such a perfect day start to finish that we are planning to come back on our anniversary! For how beautiful the place is and how fancy it looks, it’s actually pretty reasonable price wise too! I would HIGHLY recommend any engaged couples have a consultation and check the Corinthian Club out for themselves, Tabbi will do the rest! 10/10.

The diner at the Corinthian club was absolutely beautiful. The architecture and lighting were stunning. The food was a bit disappointing, as it didn’t have much flavor and the portions were incredibly small. The mashed potatoes tasted a bit like wet paper. We had wanted to do a whisky flight, and the bar only offered four whiskies to choose 3 from, but the bar was out of two of the options. The servers were very nice, but a bit inattentive. Upon arrival, there was no on at the restaurant reception and we had to wait a bit to be sat for our reservation. It also took nearly thirty minutes to get his attention to ask for our check after having desert. Ultimately, we left a quite bit disappointed with the experience.

We had our wedding reception in the Corinthian in a private dining room then private bar. Throughout the whole booking process our contact Tabitha held our hand and catered to any request we had. On the day the staff made sure we were all well looked after and the small extra touches that Tabitha and the team put into our day made it all the more special. The food was fantastic, the service was amazing and the DJ was flawless.

I had the pleasure of attending a private event at the Corinthian recently, it was absolutely brilliant. From the moment you walk in to the end of the night you were well looked after. The venue itself is an pure iconic Glasgow, and it never fails to disappoint. The food? Amazing and even had room for two desserts. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable - especially during the Cocktail Masterclass. I would highly recommend the Corinthian to anyone and will definitely be returning.

We recently had our wedding meal and evening reception at The Corinthian and the day was planned perfectly by their lovely wedding coordinator, Tabbi. From initial enquiry through to on-the-day execution nothing was ever too much for Tabbi and her team. We were constantly kept in the loop of how the day would run and because of this level of communication everything ran perfectly on the day. Our guests commented on how fantastic the food and service was. We can’t recommend Tabbi and her team enough. Thank you once again for making our special day seem effortless!

Bar Soba Mitchell Lane is a popular and vibrant bar and restaurant located in Glasgow, Scotland. It offers a trendy urban setting with colorful artwork and quirky signs, creating an upbeat vibe. The menu features innovative Southeast Asian street food such as pulled pork bao buns, cauliflower katsu curry, and dragon prawn noodles. In addition to the creative cocktails, they also offer boozy brunches for a set price per person.
We dropped by here for drinks and dinner after work and managed to get a table quite easily on a Thursday evening. There's a decent selection of both drinks and food, which was tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and the prices were about right. Overall a good experience and we'll probably visit again in the future.

Great place and it was absolutely heeving which is a great sign as well. We went for the boozy brunch. I'd recommend going on an empty stomach. The portion sizes are big, which I was very surprised at - couldn't finish the meal. Drinks were great. Defo recommend.

Bao's are one of my favourite dishes - these cauliflower ones did not disappoint. The mayonnaise was tasty, and the seasoned fries were just as good. The venue itself was a bit dull and lifeless. Although the two staff members were very attentive. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal, and I would go back, even just for the Bao's! 😍

This is next to the lighthouse and tucked in, so easy to miss. The place is hip hop and food service is really quick. I ordered pad Thai chicken&prawns. As it is an Asian fusion food the taste wasn’t certainly what a pad Thai is but ok. The prawns did let me down. They weren’t prawns but shrimp as you can see. So would suggest go with chicken only. No use paying extra. 12.5£ Also had chicken dumplings. 5 for 6£. Which were nice but once again overpriced. I also had their Singapore slush which was nice but at 9£, wasn’t very special. It worth it. Taste wise food is 4/5 but price wise 2/5. I’m sure there are other options to try.

The staff were lovely. We had two fussy young children and they were very accommodating not only with the food but providing hot water etc. Food was delicious and all came out in good time. We loved the interior and general chilled vibe of the venue allowing us to have a relaxed meal. Close to the train station which was a bonus.

I used to be a regular customer but today's experience will be my last. On entering we were asked angrily if it was food or drinks, when we said just drinks we were told to sit. Fully expecting it was obviously table service we waited, and waited but no one came over. When we went to the bar for drinks it felt like we were interrupting the staff conversation, mid way through pouring my pint the staff member left to deal with a customer who had just entered, rather that saying they would be with them shortly. My wife wanted a gin, the measure was short and without asking the staff member threw a bit of lime in the glass. Another "paying" customer beside us left and thanked the staff on their way out and both staff behind the bar ignored them with sullen faces and just continued doing what they were doing. Before leaving I had to use the toilet but felt uncomfortable as the toilet door wouldn't lock. This was the last straw. One member of staff acknowledged us during our visit, unfortunately this felt so different to "all" the other staff that it felt almost weird. Staff should be aware it's the customer's that pay their wages, not thr "customers" that interrupted their chat! Won't be back.

Steer clear for the Glasgow Cocktail Festival! Went here as part of the Glasgow Cocktail Festival and had an absolutely terrible experience. Despite having both the official festival wristband and a valid electronic ticket (the festival organisers weren’t even issuing printed tickets yet), we were flatly refused the deal we were supposed to get. Staff insisted on a physical printed ticket that literally did not exist — which felt like a flimsy excuse not to honour the promotion. The attitude made it seem like they simply couldn’t be bothered serving us under the festival offer. Instead, we were told we could just pay full price if we wanted food or drinks. At that point it honestly felt like they’d signed up to the festival just to get people through the door and then upsell them at full price. It left a really bad impression — rude, dismissive service and a complete disregard for the spirit of the festival. We left without ordering and none of us will be back. Strongly recommend avoiding Bar Soba if you’re doing the Glasgow Cocktail Festival. Plenty of other venues treat customers with respect and actually honour their commitments.

One of my favourite bars in Glasgow. Great nightclub downstairs on the weekends. Cocktails are good and fantastic flavours of shots.
Laura K — Google review
Went to Revolution recently with four friends, for the “boozy brunch” and honestly, it was a terrible experience. My burger came out raw and pink in the middle definitely not cooked properly. One of my friends pizza was absolutely disgusting, out of everything how do u manage not to cook a pizza right that’s obviously been sitting in the freezer. On top of that, we didn’t even get all the drinks we paid £40 for one of my friends only received one drink, she basically got a Chicago town pizza and toilet water! and the ones we did get tasted awful. We then went downstairs to get more “drinks” which wasn’t a good idea my friend bought 3 single vodkas and was changed £48? when before that she got 2 doubles that cost around £20 so where has the other £28 went. On top of all this the service was basically non-existent, We had to ask the staff multiple times to clean our table, which should’ve been done before we sat down. Overall, really disappointed with both the food and the service. Definitely won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Popped in for snaks and a drink on a recent shopping trip to Central Glasgow, staff were very attentive, and the place has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was far from full of patrons but appears to have enough staff on shift to cope with any sudden influx of customers. Obviously, the service was Vquick on our visit and we relocated to the fire cabinet as soon as that area became available.

This place!👌a wee spontaneous visit here today, although it had been on my list to try. As soon as you walk in you can feel the beautiful calming spiritual like vibe. Its absolutely stunning inside. During the day its a cafe and later turns into a cocktail bar, genius. My flat white was so smooth, the salmon sandwich was super tasty and plentiful, my friend loved her chicken salad roll. Small food menu though apt, plenty of different types of coffee, tea and drinks to choose from. Will definitely be back to try the cocktails. Lovely atmosphere, perfect background music. Nice place and nice wine but the customer service is absolutely shocking. Very arrogant. We couldn't believe how rude the staff were. They are in no rush to serve you or get your drinks to you. Extreamly quick at turning so many customers away saying they were full. One couple actually said can we not sit there and pointed to an empty table and were told no. Very strange way to run a bar. Drinks are great, atmosphere is brilliant then the venue itself is lovely however waited at the bar for 15 minutes to get served, in that time two considerably more attractive people who arrived at the bar after me were served first. One person stood next to me after I'd been there for 10 minutes already and they got served before me. I know pretty privilege is a thing but that was absolutely ridiculous and did kind of ruin the night for me.

I'd love to give a great review of this bar but unfortunately the greeting from one of the bar staff on entering wasn't the best experience. I've been coming here when visiting Glasgow for 15 years...it's a tradition! Unfortunately this time I didn't even wait to get served due to how unwelcome I felt. What I will say is the guys on the door were so lovely and friendly and if I could have stood and had a drink with them outside then this review would have been 10 out of 10. To the girl behind the bar who spoiled our night I hope it was just a one off bad night!

Visiting from the US and only had one afternoon to enjoy some food in Glasgow and I randomly chose here. I’m very glad I did, amazing service and delicious food. I sat at the bar and inquired about some of the best options to try, the bartender wasn’t too sure about one of them, so instead of just pacifying me with a generalized comment, he went around asked all of the staff until he found some that had it before- first time I’ve ever seen that. The food was delicious also, would highly recommend to fellow travelers.

The restaurant is beautiful it was very busy wiith a lovely wee vibe ,the 4 stars is a reflection on the time it takes for a steak pie we were informed it takes up to 40 minutes from kitchen to plate which we felt was a long time to wait , other than that it was a nice experience

I adore R&F! I go every couple of months with my good friend. The food wine are delicious. Never had a bad experience. I just adore the debit and ambience. Always a great vibe. The staff are always wonderful too. Never more so than on Thursday when the wonderful Supervisor Sophie was our server. She looked after us so well! Thankyou 🥰 We did notice however that some of the usual R&F wonderful sides were now disappointedly off the menu, ie the amazing beetroot and feta, and the to die for broccoli. Which left only one veg, (although this phenomenal cabbage side was soooo delicious it must have been cooked by the devil himself!), three potato and two salad options as sides. We both had steak, and when you have steak it comes with fries so we really needed more veg/choice on the sides menu please! 😊 Also, the steak choices are also now fewer on the menu, with the fillet remaining and a new entry of a flat iron. No sirloin or ribeye. However the flat iron was perfect! Totally delicious and cooked to perfection! Wonderful value. I actually would now choose the pink flat iron over the sirloin and rib-eye it was that good! 🤩 Will be back VERY soon. In fact I purchased one of the fabulous offer vouchers last night. My fav restaurant in town hands down!💚

Had a fantastic family reunion dinner at Ralph & Finns last night which was our second visit since 2019, and it’s even better. The trendy interiors and grand windows remind me of Sydney’s best spots. Loved the beetroot salad, deep sea perch, and crème brûlée. Great drinks (non-alcoholic gin and tonic for me!) and super friendly staff. A must-visit upscale spot in Glasgow.

Had a delightful meal, it was my last dinner in Glasgow. And boy, what a finale! The servers and maitre d’ were attentive and considerate. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The drink selection was expansive. Varied seating options, from luxurious booths to bar seats and cocktail rounds.

Came in for our booking to a completely empty restaurant and while staff members were looking our way, it took 5 minutes of us standing at the door for the hostess to show up and take us to our table. Pretty sure we were sat in the bar area, despite booking for dinner and mentioning a special occasion, which gave the whole experience a very casual pub vibe, contrasting with what we were going for and why we booked this restaurant in particular. Food was somewhat enjoyable, but the portion size and overall quality were below par for the price point. While the haggis bon bons and the foccacia were great, 4 slices in a portion is certainly a choice. Flat-iron steak was okay, burger was greasy, small and boring. Bottle of champagne served with a paper napkin and never topped up, despite the formal setting at a high-end restaurant. Servers were friendly, but not attentive. The only positive was acknowledging my partner's birthday and offering a complimentary dessert, although once again, one would expect more from a place like that.

The Citizen Glasgow is housed in a grand Victorian building that used to be the offices of Glasgow's evening paper, The Citizen. The interior exudes mid-century charm with dark wood and a sense of muted decadence. The former printing rooms and offices have been transformed into a stylish restaurant and bar, where guests can enjoy Scottish meat and fish-centric dishes alongside brunch and afternoon tea menus. The Editors Suite offers a glimpse into the building's journalistic past, providing an ideal setting for leisurely lunches.
Walked in on a Wednesday at 6pm and was able to get a table for two. Love the whole vibe of the restaurant and the food did not disappoint. Personally I found the steak pie a tiny bit salty, but I don’t have much reference of comparison. Loved everything we tried and the whisky selection was great.

the mussels is the best that I ever had so far! Perfectly cooked with light cream sauce, more like a soup that you can enjoy every single bit! Traditional Haggis bon bon, they do it very easy to accept if you first time try it. Special shout out to a very friendly and lovely staff - Molly! She offer brilliant customer service, warmly greetings and recommend dishes to me, and I enjoyed everything here! I noticed some reviews say the music is loud here, it was okay before 9pm, but I also noticed after 9pm, they turn up the volume.

Visited here on a Saturday night before heading out for a few drinks. You enter through a lively bar where there is a quieter restaurant area at the back. The staff were all friendly and attentive, our table was set on arrival and we were quickly asked about drinks, wine bottles were corked at the table. Very pleasant surroundings with music playing from the bar but quiet enough in the restaurant area that you can enjoy your meal and conversations. The food - to die for! The best meal I have had in a long time. The ingredients were all fresh, high quality and tasted incredible. The artichoke heart starter was beautiful with some of the best tomatoes I have ever eaten. Our main courses were equally delicious, the steak pie was amazing. Despite being quite full, we felt we HAD to have dessert because of how delicious everything else was! Massively recommend and we’re seriously considering travelling back to Glasgow just to try more of the menu. Price wise it is a little pricey, but way more than pub food and would air on the side of fine dining. Definitely worth the prices. Good drinks selection too. Definitely returning soon!

Splendid. The whole experience was A+. Service was friendly and assertive, food was absolutely delicious and the vibe is great. It was my first scottish cuisine experience and certainly one for remember. PS: their scotch whiskey menu is phenomenal I'd strongly suggest a Macallan single malt sherry oak ;)

The food was great. Hearty pies and a great sticky toffee pudding. The service was our favourite. We were visiting from Canada for our honeymoon, and the host greeted us and was genuinely interested in chatting with us. The server herself was amazing, she brought us a congratulations card which was so sweet. Also: SO sorry to our server, we forgot the congrats card on the table but we didn’t mean to!

Located on the corner of St Vincent Street and West Nile Street, this buzzing venue offers a fun-filled cocktail menu featuring old favorites and new creations with tongue-in-chic twists.
Great selection on the menu for both food and drinks, friendly service, good atmosphere and stylish decor. We were here on a Tuesday and took advantage of the Tuesday Tapas deal, great value.

Has lunch here today, we arrived just after 1pm and the bar wasn’t too busy there were a few tables available. We were seated by the window and the waitress took our order of drinks which was a bottle of rose wine and some water however it took 20 minutes for the wine and water to arrive. We then placed our food order and it took about 20 minutes to arrive. I had chicken and bacon focaccia and my friend had a fish cake . The food was delicious and the fries were crispy and hot. Would definitely come again for food. Overall, the service was a bit slow. What surprised me the most is there were families with babies in the bar area, even a breastfeeding mother was nursing her baby. Towards the end of our lunch it became noisy and crowded. We enjoyed our lunch and will return again.

Only had drinks on Saturday late afternoon, the 2 of us had a lovely table at the window as I had requested on booking, which is a plus as is being able to book for drinks only. Have visited a few times and would recommend. It is expensive for wine, it was good stuff though. Waiting staff were attentive and pleasant. Nice atmosphere and don't need to shout over music.

Lunar Wine & Cocktail Bar is a charming spot with a cozy atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff. The bar offers an impressive selection of expertly crafted cocktails, including unique creations like the gin spiked ice tea and Bottled by Blobby. It's a great place to have meaningful conversations as the music is not too loud. Additionally, the bar is dog-friendly, making it an even more inviting destination for visitors.
Fantastic, interesting, cocktails. The bar has a great atmosphere and the service is second to none. The Australian bartender is a wizard and works at another level. I've been in a lot of cocktail bars around the world and they are one of the best I've seen. Couldn't fault anything about the place, I think it is now my favourite cocktail bar in Glasgow. Never had a pickleback before and this is a dangerous new concept for me! Can't wait to come back.

I came here with a pal at the start of the year, and I had such an amazing time! The cocktails were unique and tasted incredible, and Karunyan, the person who served us, was so lovely and definitely made us feel welcome! The vibes were chilled and casual, with some lovely incense burning away in the corner as we sipped our drinks, and we loved it so much that we sat for at least 2 hours

Very interesting cocktails, lovely staff, all in all great vibes! Niche remarks: I really like the glasses they serve in (the short thin tumblers) and the ice cubes they use are crystal clear

Incredible! The drinks are wonderful, the staff are knowledgable, confident and friendly, and the decor is fresh and clean. They also allow dogs in. It’s small enough to have a good atmosphere but the tables have enough space to allow you to hear each other. Living On A Pear is a delicious experience of a drink.

The Alchemist in Glasgow's city center is a top choice for a romantic dinner. The restaurant offers an impressive selection of laboratory-style cocktails and delectable dishes like katsu curry, sirloin steak, and mouthwatering burgers. The vibrant atmosphere with an in-house DJ adds to the special experience. Guests rave about the cosmic oysters and recommend trying the salt n vinegar potatoes. While some feel that the duck pancakes could be improved, others appreciate the affordable drinks and unique cocktail-making experience.
Incredible cocktail bar. Such a cool twist making drinks actually exciting to drink. I’m not a big drinker but reading the menu made me want to try them all! My favourite was the colour changing one (it’s actual name). The Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. I mentioned on the booking it was my partner and I’s 1 year anniversary and they came out with a cosmic oyster tray on the house! I would recommend this place to everyone!! Even great for food too!

thank you Rhona and team at Alchemist for a delightful dinner on the first day of my holiday. delicious food and tasty interesting drink. plus super friendly and knowledgeable service from Rhona who was so lovely and helped me pick a cocktail to try. I will definitely return.
Cecilia C — Google review
An incredibly unique experience that is absolutely worth the price! While the cocktails are the main attraction due to their extravagant effects (foaming, dry ice, colour changing etc), there’s plenty of non alcoholic drinks with the same effects, and many of the cocktails have a note on the menu naming a non alcoholic equivalent. We ordered the French Kiss (which was met with a funny joke from the server) which had a fake rubber tongue and popping rocks, the Cosmic Conch which came with foaming and a light up ice cube, and the non alcoholic Rhubarb Pop which had a bubble on top, as well as the non alcoholic oyster shot which was unexpected and amazing! Our server was absolutely wonderful despite her 9 hour shift and went above and beyond to accommodate and recommend and was a genuine joy.
Mackenzie M — Google review
This was a second visit to an Alchemist bar/restaurant and honestly the presentation and uniqueness of the drinks is reason enough to come here. They do drinks unlike anywhere else I've seen, whether it's the exploding bubbles, smokey cauldron, or getting the drink out of a mini bong or syringe, it's just such a good presentation and something you really won't find elsewhere. On top of that, the drinks are all really, really good! During this visit, we also got food, so can comment on that. I had the Curried Fish dish and it was very good and full of flavor. And, like the drinks, was presented really well. The curry sauce was amazing and the fish was perfectly prepared. My wife ordered the Panko Halloumi and my daughter ordered the Plant Burger and they both liked what they got. Our server, Louise, was very friendly, very helpful and our drinks and orders came out fairly quickly. Definitely worth a visit.

My partner and I went to the alchemist in Glasgow last night for food and drinks and I have to say the food was incredible. I had the chicken Caesar salad with a side of their truffle tater tots and my partner had the tempura fish & chips and he stated it was the best fish & chips!! The cocktails are incredible and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Very knowledgeable staff. I can really see why this place has good word of mouth. We went for the cocktail festival even though we didn't fancy their cocktail, they had another 2 so we got them all to try. Sit at the bar if you want to watch their alchemy & mixology. We'd definitely come back another day. Very upmarket inside & looks plush.

We visited on Saturday for my 40th birthday. Table was booked for 2pm. The bar was already extremely busy so despite the young waitress Saffron being really friendly and attentive our drinks took a good while to arrive. Food was nothing special but the cocktails and service from the staff were where the score was made back up.

Brilliant cocktail deal during the week, we took full advantage 😂 amazing spot to catch the sun in the afternoon too. We also got some nibbles, lovely rocket salad and chips. The cocktail selection is very good, the French martini and margaritas were the best 😍 we used the QR code on the table to order and it was super speedy service.

We had a lovely experience at Social in Glasgow. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and full of flavour. The sauces and dressings on the side really complemented the dishes and made the meal even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was great for a relaxed lunch, with a nice outdoor seating area and a lively city vibe around. Staff were friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. One thing to flag though – they’ve got a QR code system for ordering which is handy, but the online menu doesn’t quite match the paper one, so that was a bit confusing. All in all, good food and worth a visit, just keep an eye on the menu!

There was a lot of mixups with waitresses over whether the kitchen was open or closed, but in the end we didnt manage to get any food - but other than that the social is so much fun. Lunch restaurant
Porter & Rye is a stylish restaurant with New York influences, offering a menu featuring dry-aged beef and creative cocktails. Located in Finnieston, it has quickly become a standout in the city's culinary scene. The quality of the steaks is highly praised, with 42-day aged cuts described as tender, succulent, and flavorful. The restaurant is known for its exceptional service and intimate ambiance.
Can I give this place an ♾️/5 stars? 🥹 This restaurant was an absolute highlight in Glasgow. I think a Sunday roast elsewhere is absolutely ruined for me because the one I tried here almost had me in tears it was so good. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants around the world and I’ve hardly ever found one that has such a well thought out menu. Every single aspect of every dish is intentional, something you can tell with every bite. Not only was the Sunday roast fantastic but I also shared half with my boyfriend, so we could try both the roast and their steak and oh my word, it was a revelation. The steak was seasoned to perfection. I normally don’t eat steak as cooked through as this one was but it was just so tender and so flavorful, that it was a knockout. Everything else we ordered from the drinks to the appetizers to dessert was just so delicious, I could hardly accept that it was over at the end of the night. Truly, this was a mind blowing experience, only enhanced by the absolute friendliness and attention to detail of the staff. They worked hard to accommodate us, even when we hadn’t made a reservation. They are the standard for how customer service should be done. Both my boyfriend and I cannot recommend this place enough, we left so so happy 😍
AnaIsabel B — Google review
Outstanding food - genuinely one of the best steaks we have ever had, so tender and cooked very well. We really enjoyed our meal, and we will definitely be back! All staff members we encountered were friendly, attentive and on the ball with everything! I love when you go somewhere that can be seen to be quite high end and fancy, and you get down to earth friendly service staff. I always appreciate it so much. My only thing is that we got sat in the upstairs right at the speaker, it was quite noisy for the vibe, the waitress was understanding, and moved us. I’d also say the second table wasn’t ideal either but wasn’t noisy, we really fancied a seat at the window. I’d also say, I feel this place needs more chilled music, it was really bad music and cover versions that just weren’t good. I’d have liked to have seen different desserts too, maybe a wee cheesecake, crumble or fudge cake. Most weren’t to my taste. But generally we were very impressed. Loved it! Thanks for a lovely evening :)
Jackie — Google review
The quality, flavour & price makes this place a must. We ordered Bavette steak with Port & gorgonzola blue dip, Rump steak with Bone Marrow & Black Truffle Butter, Lamb Tatiki, Garlic & Lemon Mixed Greens, Beef Dripping Chips, Truffle & Parmesan Fries and Miso Foraged Mushrooms & Crispy Shallots. Everything was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Each dish can be altered for gluten-free dairy-free etc. The staff were very nice and attentive. I will definitely be back to try more on the menu.
Ann B — Google review
We stumbled upon this restaurant after enjoying the day in Glasgow and I am so happy we did. It has a twos story dining area with perfect lighting. The service was fantastic and they helped us pick the best options. The butter that went with the steak was perfect for the meal. If you're in Glasgow, come to Porter & Rye, it is worth it. If I am ever visit Scotland again, I want to eat here!
Amy B — Google review
Loved every single thing at Porter and Rye! Initially, we were running late due to traffic and the person on the phone offered to change our booking time to allow us to still go & have enough time for our meal. Me and my friend got the Friday deal and got one of the starters. My friend doesn’t have alcohol & they were happy to change the drink for a non-alcoholic one. The steak tartare starter was unreal!! Then the steak & sides arrived, a fantastic portion for a deal and everything cooked to perfection. Everything we had was so flavorful and the high quality. It was my birthday and the restaurant offered me a birthday sweet & prosecco along with desert that we ordered which you could tell was made fresh. The service was excellent, Rachel and the team took the best care of us & really felt spoiled. The atmosphere was also perfect, felt very intimate & calm. If we could give more stars we would. A big thank you!!
Margarita M — Google review
For an upscale dining experience Porter & Rye is your restaurant!!! The food is so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The sides are large portions and enough for two to share. All the staff are great but Mary our server was a Rock Star!! We had such a wonderful experience taking our time and enjoying the evening together. We ended with amazing desserts and a beautiful 10 year tawny port.
Kelley J — Google review
Such a lovely meal for our anniversary, the complimentary glass of fizz and beautiful dessert plate was totally unexpected! Food is amazing but the mac & cheese side blew us away, goes so well with the steak. Staff are all so friendly and kind, we will definitely be back!💗
Rachel S — Google review
Only managed to get a booking for 16:45 but the plus side is able to take advantage of the promotion of the small dishes. Had perfect start with the small dishes, especially the tartare, but just as we were approaching the end of the starter we were asked if they can start serving the main course, a bit surprised but didn't want the steak to get cold so agreed to have the main straight away. End up a bit disappointing the steak came lukewarm, and the plate is either already cooled down or never heated. Edit: Reply from the management expects me to bring this up on the spot, yes, maybe, but my expectation is right first time. If this is too much of an ask then so be it.

Amazing restaurant and the service was exceptional. Our hostess accommodated us even though we had missed our original reservation by an hour. (Story for another day, blame it on graduation pictures.) We sat at the bar upstairs and Ben, our server/bartender & wait team, gave us such exceptional service that we shall definitely be back when we visit Glasgow. The drinks were perfectly crafted just for us, catering to our unique taste. As for the food, the flavours of the dishes we ordered were all spectacular. The seasoning was so on point. They crowned the graduation lunch with a surprise cake and the dessert sorbet was delicious.

Red Sky Bar is Glasgow's premier rooftop bar, offering panoramic views of the River Clyde and the city. The sleek interior lounge and relaxed outside terrace provide the perfect setting to enjoy signature cocktails with a Glasgow twist and tasty small plates celebrating the city's cultural diversity. Located in the trendy Finnieston area, this rooftop bar sits on the historic grounds of Glasgow's shipyards, providing stunning views of both the city lights and the river.
My recent visit to the Red Sky Bar in Glasgow was nothing short of spectacular, and that's entirely thanks to the incredible team, particularly the dynamic trio of Shaq, Scott and Sean. While the panoramic views of the city are breathtaking, it's the people on the floor that make the experience truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a genuine warmth that set the tone for the entire evening. Sean, was super friendly made sure we were settled and comfortable, promptly getting our initial drink orders. But the true highlight of the night was Shaq. Shaq is more than a server; he's a true host and his energy was magnetic. Red Sky Bar just gained a new repeat customer.

Have just spent over 8 hours here to see my very favorite DJ. Only spent so long as the curfew for entry to the venue was 4pm when the main act didn't come on until 9pm? Seems like a ploy to get you to overspend? Seems that if you're staying in the hotel this does not apply perhaps. The DJ was incredible however the clientele were shocking - I nearly had my phone pickpocketed (lucky I felt it being pulled from my pocket in time). Security in the Sky bar were unpahsed when I told them, however, staff at the main lobby as I exited were highly concerned and apologetic which I appreciated. View from the bar was great and ultimately is a good venue. Just the clientele left me feeling a little shocked today.... was difficult to enjoy the show due to this. Be careful.

Pre booked for 2 two months ago. All window spots are for big groups. So if you want to enjoy a nice quiet drink with a view you’re out of luck. We have a nice view of other bigger party’s and were told we couldn’t move to a vacant space as they are reserved for bigger groups. Drinks were nice but bar service was slow and the bar was not full. It’s a shame as I wanted to enjoy it and unsure if I would come back as a couple.

My friend and I came here on a thursday evening during a long weekend in Glasgow. Its a nice bar with some fun decor and the outside area has food views of the SEC and river. You can also smoke out there, so me and my mate had taken some cigars. We had a couple of vodka and oranges and bought a couple of ladies we were chatting to some cocktails that they werent that impressed with. Staff were friendly and would visit again

If Red Sky Bar is the crown of Glasgow nightlife, then Shaq and Sean are the jewels that make it shine. From the moment we arrived, their energy, warmth, and professionalism took the experience to another level. I couldn’t recommend going here more!! Shaq and Sean didn’t just serve drinks — they served main character energy. Definitely go, you won’t regret it!!!!

The view from Red Sky Bar is absolutely breathtaking, a perfect place to pause and take in the city. However, the true highlight of our visit was the service provided by Shaq and Sean. Shaq, in particular, was a master of hospitality. His professional and attentive approach was unparalleled. He didn't just serve drinks; he delivered an experience with skill and precision that was a level above anything I've encountered before. Together, Shaq and Sean form a truly fantastic team. Their combined efforts make Red Sky Bar more than just a place with a great view—it's the best bar I have ever been to.

One of the few bars in Glasgow where you can enjoy a genuine city view, most of the others you're basically looking at some crowded rooftops. This on the other hand is worth it. Amazing views up the Clyde and brilliant view of the sun setting over the west of the city. Can be indoors or outdoors here which is handy for the Scottish weather.

Nice calm experience and atmosphere, however just for a coffee and a coke it took about 15-20 mins, maybe because they had just opened but that’s slightly too long to wait, the views were nice! Free as well so that’s a bonus!

Chinaskis is a compact, candle-lit bar located in Charing Cross that pays homage to the literary alter ego of writer and alcoholic Charles Bukowski. The bar features unflattering images of Bukowski and lines from his unapologetic prose. It offers a selection of bourbons and serves dishes like chickpea-fritter and halloumi burgers in its sunny courtyard.
Delicious Sunday roast. Nice organic Merlot. Dog friendly

The staff were accommodating and helpful, the atmosphere warm and cosy, and the food flavourful and well presented. I had a Bloody Mary and it was PERFECT for my palate. Small tables made it difficult to accommodate the drinks and plates for the three of us, and the venue wasn’t well-signed making it difficult to locate initially, but it added to the exclusiveness of it. I’d recommend heading in at least once when you’re in Glasgow.
Meaghan J — Google review
Outside tables a bit tight, especially for oldies. Food was delicious but was a bit cool and had to be returned to heat up. Re service, no-one came to ask us how our meal was or if we wanted anything else. We had to keep going to the bar to order extra drinks, water, coffee etc. The restaurant difficult to find as no nameplate on the front of the building. Even a restaurant name on the outside menu would have been a clue.

We ordered too much food. Lamb small plate was our favourite, delicious. Padron peppers, skin on fries were also lovely. Unfortunately the fish tacos were a let down, the fish was nice however something in the filling wasn’t pleasant so the taco’s weren’t eaten, (previously these had been delicious). Overall a lovely evening and would still return to try again.

Booked a meal for 11 of us before the theatre and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. So friendly, welcoming and organised the pre order of food perfectly. (Thanks Peter!) The quality of the food is always brilliant and the dishes are creative and tasty. Love that there are always great vegan options. Plus the wine is always really good too. A relaxed atmosphere with quality food and drink, we will definitely be back. Thanks for a great night.

The food we got (pork belly, smash burger, Mac and cheese) was absolutely amazing, the pork belly especially. We had trouble finding the entrance as there is no name on the building, just a small A4 menu off to the side. Food took about 15-20 mins to come.

Amazing tacos!! Good prices for a super central restaurant, great range of dishes to choose from and the portions are really good for sharing. The king prawn taco is delicious, also the super crunchy fried chicken and the pulled lamb. Honestly I'd like to try all their tacos as the ones we tried were all excellent. Nice cocktails too, loved their coconut margarita! The place is great at the weekend and it's open until 10 - perfect for pre-drink stop to start your night. Love the cool lights and the fun atmosphere.

This is my second time there! First time was with my colleagues as we were organising a work-related casual dinner. This time I brought my family there. Very convenient location, just a few minutes walk from Glasgow Central station. The food was very tasty and staff is very friendly. It is quite busy at dinner time so better book a table in advance!

The best burritos ever, especially the pulled pork YES! It’s so flavourful and I’ve spent at least 200+ here over the past year because I can’t get enough 🥰 Please never stop buttering the tortilla and filling it with guac and cheese, always keep the pork tender and i’ll return forever ♾️ The drinks didn’t get me very tipsy but tasty 😋

Food was lovely, we got two dishes and shared both were beautiful. For drinks we ordered the standard margarita and peach margarita which were lovely but a tad smaller than other places we have been to. Service let this place down, after our order was taken by a lad who never returned (possibly finished work as never saw him again) we weren't asked if the food was ok or if there was anything we needed until we had finished our food and were ready to pay the bill.
Mark M — Google review
Delicious fresh food with a great range of hot sauces on the table. Friendly professional service. A highlight was the virgin margarita - best I've had. The pork pastor tacos with pineapple were really outstanding.

Such an incredible spot for delicious Mexican food! The service was fantastic, such a warm and welcoming environment! For starters, we got the calamari and pico de gayo tortillas! Then mains were beef taquitos, king prawn tacos, duck tacos and pork shoulder tacos! We split these among 3 of us and it was the perfect amount! Would highly recommend!!
Josie — Google review
I was doing the happy food dance while I was eating their chicken and chorizo quesadilla. The corn tortillas were out of this world. Although felt like there could be more cheese in the burrito. The prices are also quite high for rather small plates (2 tacos for £11-12). We had to wait quite a bit to be served while the waiters were chatting next to us. Despite that, the bill contains about 10% service charge. It is not perfect but it has a nice atmosphere, and delicious food. Recommend a visit.
İpek Ü — Google review
Pretty disappointed as I’d heard good things. Ordered a Quesadilla and it was an extremely small portion for £12. It had little to no Mexican taste to it and the cheese tasted funny. The chipotle shredded chicken didn’t taste good either. We also had a steak Burrito that was slightly better. Again this has very little flavour, but the steak used was reasonable. The Pepsi Max they served was in a small glass and flat. The waiter asked how it was before fetching the bill I said ‘not great’. We got ‘ah I’m sorry’ but not much more interaction than that.

Went way down hill since last time I visited. And you can tell, it’s a Saturday night, GlasGlow on across the road and it’s hardly jumping. Maybe explained by the staff not really knowing what they’re doing as well as the lack of even a gin menu (in Glasgow’s premier gin bar!). Fiancé had to explain to the barmaid what a perfect serve is. Anyway, this is what we got for our perfect serve (which kinda tasted like a basic G&T)…

Arrived in Glasgow for a conference and was finding my feet in the surrounding environs. Stumbled upon BeGin and was glad I did. Sara behind the bar made us feel very comfortable, was full of recommendations about the west end and is truly wise beyond her years. Mazen made us an excellent old fashioned and Robbie the manager although very busy was singularly handsome and quick with a good one liner. We'll definitely be back and this little gem is worth a trip.

I like beGin ,we use it as a meeting point and sometimes ending point if we're having a meal out on byres rd or great western road this it's a nice little place varies in businesses, can have a chat easily and good selection of Drinks , can be slightly pricey on certain things though.

BROKEN GLASS IN MY DRINK I was chewing what I thought was ice from my drink when I suddenly had to spit out a jagged shard of glass. My glass itself wasn’t broken—the shard must have come from their ice supply. I’m incredibly lucky that the shard of glass was large enough that I tried to bite it, rather than immediately swallowing it and probably dying. I’ll be looking into how to report this to health authorities, because this is just an absolutely appalling and dangerous error. Unless you want to spend the final moments of your life choking on your own blood while shards of glass rip your throat apart, avoid this bar at all costs. On a positive note, this experience served as a reminder of how fragile life is, and to appreciate your loved ones while you’re still breathing.

Would give it zero if possible. Came in and were greeted, told we could sit anywhere. Staff were up chatting at the bar and no one came to take our order. Only one other table in the place with patrons as it was 5pm. Waited for about 15min, still no service. Went to leave and staff made eye contact and still said nothing to us. So I guess if you want to sit at a table, be ignored, and never be served I’d recommend coming here. Otherwise absolutely not.

Located in the vibrant West End of Glasgow, The Butchershop Bar & Grill is a stylish steakhouse with a Manhattan-style ambiance. The restaurant prides itself on serving top-quality Scottish beef, expertly prepared and offered at reasonable prices. Their menu features an array of delectable dishes, complemented by an extensive wine selection from around the globe. With its chic decor, including leather booths and warm lighting, The Butchershop provides a cozy and inviting atmosphere for any dining occasion.
January 3rd I recently had the pleasure of dining at Butchers Shop Bar and Grill, and what a fantastic experience it was! From the very start, enjoying a refreshing cocktail aperitif set the tone for a superb evening. The olives and patron peppers were deliciously salt-coated, offering the perfect start to our meal. For starters, I indulged in tiger prawns and loin, which were first-class. Although I personally wished there was more than one prawn, the taste was impeccable and left us excited for the main course. The rib-eye steak that followed was a true highlight—massive, perfectly cooked, and served with delightful sides of onion rings, mac and cheese, and triple-cooked chips. It was a feast that ensured no one left the table hungry. My wife had the fillet and our friends the chateaubriand all cooked as well ad my own Unable to find room for dessert, we opted instead for the exquisite Espresso Martini, which capped off the meal beautifully. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the restaurant staff went above and beyond to accommodate us at another table, allowing us to relish our time with good friends and more cocktails. The evening was certainly on the pricier side, yet it was worth every penny. The service from all four staff members who attended to us was exemplary, contributing significantly to our tremendous dining experience. Hats off to Butchers Shop Bar and Grill for creating such a warm and memorable evening!

For me this has to be hands down the best steakhouse I have ever been to, I booked me and my partner a table on a Monday night for her birthday with a note on the booking letting them know it was her birthday. All staff in the restaurant were absolutely amazing and didn't make a big fuss for her birthday and wished her a happy birthday and even gave us a card which was a small gesture but absolutely appreciative. Our waiter for the night was Steven and I cannot put into words how amazing he was, he walked us through the menu, brought a board with all the cuts of steak and showed us how big they are, what cuts would be best for us etc etc, he was absolutely unreal throughout the night and kept checking up and had really good conversations with us through the night even though Steven let us know that they were short staffed. The food was absolutely sublime and beyond any steak we've ever had and the sides were no slouch either which we absolutely loved. Overall I cannot recommend the butchershop high enough. Thank you for making my partners birthday amazing and letting us take home our leftovers

Went the evening of Saturday, Oct 4th. It was our last night in Scotland and wanted to do something special. Everything from the drinks to the desserts were great. We both had the fillet with mashed potatoes, along with the green beans and cauliflower cheese. We also ordered the table bread which came with butter and olive oil. My friend ordered the gin bramble while I had the Sauvignon Blanc and also a glass of the Cabernet. For dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding and the strawberry vanilla cheesecake. Max was our server and he was fantastic! Highly recommend if you are in the Glasgow area!

Fine for couples right up to large groups. Probably ok for kids 10+

Step into the time machine and experience the 1930s glamour at Rogano, a renowned dining spot in Glasgow. This Art Deco gem has been serving delectable seafood since its inception in 1935. The elegant interiors with opulent walnut paneling, brass fittings, and maritime-themed decor will transport you to a bygone era of sophistication.
When visiting the Rogano it was a very relaxing atmosphere. The waitress that served us was very helpful and attentive. The meal was lovely and the cocktails went down a treat. Would highly recommend the skiitake haggis dish. Wasn't my usual way to have haggis but was unusual and very delicious.

Deserves way more than 5 stars! Old school posh decor that makes it feel like an immersive experience into the 80’s but it really works! The food was excellent! Best scallops I’ve ever tasted. Reliable tasty oysters.

Had a fabulous two course lunch coffee, teas & petit fours with family. The staff were excellent and served well, special mention to our server as it was only his 3rd day on the job. Very well done. We were complimented on our choices from the menu. It was a tough decision to choose just one meal so return visits are in order. We were given plenty if time to read the menus and decided to skip starters and have desserts instead. Food is cooked to order so we didn't mind a shirt wait and filled than time with some delicious warmed flavoured bread rolls, onion and olive. Scottish salmon fillet, Scandanavian cod and pork loin arrived, well presented, excellently cooked and tasted amazing. Desserts of Raspberry Panna Cota, brownie with vanilla ice cream and an orange & Almond cake with syrup and orange curd ice cream, all were beautiful. Somehow we managed to have space for the petit fours, coffee & teas. The whole experience ensured we all had a fabulous time. Looking forward to returning.

Awful cuisine, excellent service. Beware of the out-of-menu suggestions, not included in the menu. Cod overcooked and salty, poor arancini. NEVER order the panna cotta. The chef killed my favourite desert. 63 £ with a regular half bottle of Bujolais.

I went with my mom for Saturday brunch and we both had a great time, food was 10/10, service was 100/10! The staff are so lovely and attentive. Get the lobster pasta, it was *chefs kiss* . Portion sizes were great especially the starters. Great experience overall , I’m definitely going back

Such a beautiful restaurant located in a perfect location with road-side parking availability and a tube station within 5 mins walking distance . My partner and I attended for my birthday and were absolutely blown away by how decadent the food was. The oysters were the best I’ve ever had; large, velvety and smooth. The beef fell apart, the John Dory fish melted in the mouth. The green beans and tender stem were lovely and the roast potatoes (albeit a little salty) were incredible. Desert - the tiramisu was absolutely divine!! We had the pistachio and the hazelnut which were constructed at the table with fresh coffee, fresh mascarpone, et cetera. Again the dessert was 10 out of 10, however the overall size of the desserts in comparison to the mains were a little off. The dessert should be advertised as a sharing a dish as it’s absolutely huge and very hearty. I would have like to see a sweeter option on the cocktail list, however the richness and spice offered was delicious. Highly recommend a visit to Azzurra.

I went in with my brother and father in law at the weekend and thought the place looked spectacular. It was very busy, mainly girls day out so maybe we were not the target clientele but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. We were sat down and left with the menu. We weren't actually sure if we were required to order via the app or if someone would come over. Eventually we decided to use the app. The food came and it was delicious although I did feel the portions were small. The burger was really good though and the boys enjoyed the sharer. In summary, a very nice place, good food but service could be better.

Went for the boozy brunch. Very disapointed. First of all they did not have any eggs…? For a brunch place. Secondly there was not much alcohol in the drinks. Thirdly the food was terrible. A bright light was the service, they were doing their very best. All in all very hard to believe the good ratings from our experience.

Went here yesterday for the first time, thought looks very nice, sat down, waited maybe 10/15 minutes to be served. We ordered fish and chips. Omg ..I seen I coming on the plate and that the hell is that. It looked liked it had been fried a hundred times, but were like maybe it tasted ok, omg no, it was as dry as a bone, burnt to a crisp, also the chips were cold. I shouted the waitress, who was so lovely, and told her. She said it was o my brought in this morning, I’m like has the chef been trying to experiment how many times he can fry this, she said would you like some scampi, we says yes. The scampi came, looked nice, tasted nice, chips were a bit warmer but not hot enough, the restaurant was freezing 🥶, we had to put our jackets on. We had intended to buy a desert, but after that experience we were like no, let’s get out of here, and went somewhere else for a coffee and cake, which was lovely and warm, and tasted beautiful. I will never, ever set foot in that restaurant again, I have never in my life had to give such negative feedback ever, but that’s how bad it actually was

We were here for a friend's leaving night and sat in the beer garden. The atmosphere was tremendous there and we spent a good couple of hours there. Stopped by for one after visiting the King' theatre. Excellent choice of cocktails available. Mojito was well made. Large outdoor seating area. Would be amazing on a warm summers day. TV's outside too for sporting events. Didn't order food but from what I seen on tables looked appetising.

Really great experience. Thai food was very good. Drinks were well priced and tasty. Plenty of rum choices if you want to try something off menu. Staff were excellent. Professional and super friendly. So good I might even go back tomorrow.

First time here and we were not disappointed, myself and my girlfriend went here for a wee date night, food was amazing, cocktails were great! With a fantastic selection. Our server who's name we didn't get unfortunately but he had fabulous nails so I hope he knows who he is, he was very attentive even though the place was quite busy, helping us select cocktails and even our film for when we got home ❤️

cocktails are amazing, presented really well and taste gorgeous. ordered a lot of food, mostly really flavourful & delicious. would recommend katsu sandwich, cod tacos, fried chicken & tiger prawns. felt some dishes like miso salmon were maybe overpriced for portion size but others like the cod tacos were really good value!!

Fantastic place, great atmosphere, and amazing food. Cocktails were great too.

Food at Moskito is outstanding (voucher purchased through Groupon)…it’s 5 out of 5 delicious and the staff are lovely too. My only gripe about the place is that everytime I’ve been it’s been absolutely dead (like literally we were the only ones in the restaurant)…I can’t understand why because the food is great! Sadly, although the decor is cool and they have decent music playing, the atmosphere is just off when the place is so empty!

Went for the first time this evening, the food was brilliant and was amazing value for money. Service was first rate too. Loved the decor, pretty cool. Great atmosphere, we decided to stay on after our mealcocktails too.

Popped in for Brunch and was not disappointed. Food was delicious, I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict and it was really good. Really nice interior and the music was great too. Service was outstanding, we were served by Cieran and he was friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

The place looks amazing after reopening, vibrant atmosphere, modern and trendy. We really enjoyed the food! On the pricey side for Glasgow (portions are quite small) but really nice dishes and flavours, with great presentation on every dish. The menu is creative and interesting, but as it is meant for sharing I think they should be bigger. The cocktails look good, but we had beers when we were there. The desserts were excellent.

Nestled in the heart of Ashton Lane, The Gardener is a delightful cocktail bar that beautifully marries vintage charm with a botanical twist. This family-run gem embraces simplicity and passion, offering an inviting atmosphere adorned with lush greenery and striking artwork. Guests can indulge in expertly crafted cocktails made from seasonal ingredients while savoring sharable plates featuring fresh, local produce.
We came down from the nearby parking lot and we decided to walk down the alleyway to get lunch. Stopped at the Gardener to grab lunch since their spicy salami pizza was appealing with a side of garlic and herbs sourdough. We split the pizza and sourdough bread so it was about £7.50 between us both and it filled us up! We will definitely come back here since it was good food and cheap prices since we split the pizza!

The visit was during the Christmas holiday and may have contributed to the quietness of the restaurant. The food was ok but I found the onion rings a little greasy for my taste. The smashed burger was huge and my companion could only eat half. They made a chicken Caesar salad which wasn’t on the menu inside but had been shown on the menu outside. The salad was well received but beware it comes with actual anchovies. I had the chicken burger which was nice but again huge.

From city centre we took the subway to visit Glasgow University- very impressive and definitely you should visit if you’re in Glasgow- and while we were in that neighbourhood, we took a break at the Gardener for some bites and drink. Stopped by this gem for a light brunch/ late breakfast and a cheeky aperol spritz. Our experience here couldn’t have been any more welcoming and pleasant on our first dining experience in Scotland. The food was so fresh and delicious and the service by Rachel was wonderful, such friendly and welcoming waitress and helped us with advice regarding our trip in Glasgow. Would definitely recommend and will return if we come back to Glasgow!

My friend organised a small cocktail making party as a surprise on Saturday and couldn’t recommend this place enough. The staff were brilliant especially Jude who showed us how to make the cocktails. It's not a normal gay bar maybe for trans or something else. Visiting the city alone they wouldn't let me in despite being sober. Glasgow feels cold and rather strange. The only place i could go was Underground which was fun, thanks to Underground.

Speakeasy is a perfectly serviceable gay bar in Glasgow's city centre. Polite man on the door. Comfortable banquette's. The requisite red lighting. Lots of cocktails. Plus a DJ pumping house & techno. Bacherlettes on the dance floor. It looked like the type of place where one would stop for a drink before moving on to another bar. Make up your own mind. We had one & moved on.

This stylish hangout with a warm vibe offers creative cocktails & beer, plus tacos & light bites.
Really nicely decorated inside, with plenty of seating. The menus are all online, with a great range of cocktails and drinks available. We only had a couple of drinks but the food menu also looks pretty good. There’s a large outdoor area with parasols and heaters so it would suit all weathers. I’d love to come back here!

Don't get lured in with the outside ads of cheap drinks! We visited this pub yesterday as it has a nice seating area outside when the sun is out and also because it was advertising spicy margaritas at £5 (see photo) and pints at £3.50 all day every day, no small words or other information. We ordered 3 pints, none of them were ate £3.50 and in the menu only the alcohol free were at that price. We did order 1 spicy margarita (which wasn't that great) and paid £12! When asked about the £5 ad outside, they said it's a version with low alcohol. That's fine but it should be advertised as that or under a different name. As it is it's misleading and false advertising, not even sure if legal. Of course we won't be back and better to visit one of the many other pubs in the area.
Patricia C — Google review
Spicy masharita was great. Been twice, first time they had the weird advertising of a promotion that didn’t actually apply (seems they have caught many people with this yet haven’t changed it) but this time it was actually £5 since it’s an all March promotion.
Jimmy F — Google review
Visited today as a party of 6. Ordered our drinks, 3 of 5 choices were available, jalapeño margarita, french 28 and non alcoholic mojito. Parlour Peach ordered, not available, then Paloma, also not available due to lack of spirits, so a vodka and coke ordered. 2 Seville Orange spritz ordered, but no Prosecco, so advised that champagne was being bought at the local Waitrose and drinks wouldn’t be long. After an hours wait I went to speak to the manager, as by now the other members of the party had finished their drinks. Whilst the manager offered us the 2 spritz free of charge, there was no apology for the wait, I explained that the rest of the party had now finished their drinks and was told, I quote, ‘ I don’t know what you want me to say’. An apology wouldn’t been nice, or a bit of empathy, but neither forthcoming. On advising we’d move on, the manager said ‘have a nice day’. I would never frequent or recommend this place, poor service, and poor drinks. Avoid.

Had a fantastic meal here last Thursday. The tacos r cheaper during the week. The tacos were chicken which was really hot and spicy and the lamb was delicious too. Great chips. Veg burrito tasty too. Not a huge menu but really great. Reasonably priced. Lovely and warm inside with a fireplace.
Byron M — Google review
I don't often leave bad reviews but I honestly cannot in good faith recommend the Parlour. I wanted a burger, but what they failed to mention while ordering is that you have to specify whether you want a burger or a wrap. I just mentioned the name of what I wanted, the staff didn't ask me if I wanted a wrap or a burger and brought me a wrap. So I get my burger wrap and bite into it, but all I get is wrap and sauce. The burger patty is less than half the size of the wrap. My burger was mostly swimming inside the wrap. When I finally manage to bite into the meat I'm met with the most overcooked and flavorless patty I've ever tasted. Honest to God it was like someone just took mince and cooked it for 15 minutes. There were two patties in my wrap and it felt like biting through rubber. Beyond the issue with receiving a burger within a wrap, I have absolutely no trust that this meat would've been good even in a brioche bun. Halfway through the meal the copious amounts of what they call BBQ sauce, which tasted more like watery Sriracha broke through the wrap making it impossible to hold it. On the bright side the fries were pretty good. The only reason this review isn't one star is because it didn't give me food poisoning. Next time I'll just buy a Rustlers in Tesco.
Leonardo P — Google review
Great spot for small food and drinks. The decors of this place is dope, they got pictures of notable artists all over, my favourite being Biggie. I ordered Spicy Lamb Tacos and a Mango Margarita and they were real good! Service was alright, it was a tad bit slow because it was a Saturday night. Cool atmosphere, though!

Usually have an absolute blast coming here for dinner and can never fault a thing. Had a table booked for dinner with friends and their <1 year old. Phoned 45 mins before to say that we would need to leave by 8pm due to licensing issues. As a restaurant, we were surprised to hear this and disappointed as we would’ve changed our booking to earlier had we known in advance. Service was slow and unfriendly towards us. Didn’t expect this given we were given a quick turn around. We were given menus for desserts at 7.50 and when they came to take our order, we were told we’d need to leave. Hoped to be offered to take away dessert but no compromise given. Overall left on a wee bit of a downer. Food was still fab but atmosphere was almost hostile and we were made to feel very unwelcome. Really surprising as I always normally recommend this place to friends.
Amy M — Google review
First time visiting Bar Vini and it’s a cool venue. Good atmosphere with a constant flow of diners which is good to see. Food was tasty with a good choice of small plates & mains. Deducted 1 star as both my main and my friends were a tad too salty (different dishes), also the mains were served before clearing away the dishes from the starter which is annoying. Minor points that could be addressed easily. Staff were friendly. Would I go back? Yes
Nicola M — Google review
I don’t know what has happened here but I believe there are new owners. This used to be a favourite place of ours but the lovely friendly staff have gone to be replaced by monosyllabic unhelpful ones. The pasta and wine deal on a Wednesday is totally misleading as it doesn’t apply to the whole menu and there is no flexibility- if you have a dietary requirement you basically have to pay full price. The music has been ramped up so loud that it’s impossible to chat. We were regulars but left without eating due to the appalling attitude of the staff. If anyone knows where the lovely people who used to work there are now let me know and I’ll go and eat there instead.

Aesthetic bar with small selection of delicious Italian cuisine. Great place, service and excellent food!

Food bland and overpriced for what it is (dried pasta from a packet and a sauce, could make better myself). Also waited almost an hour between the starter and main dishes. Staff were friendly enough, but the place isn’t worth the hype unfortunately.

Additionally, visitors can enjoy activities like ping pong and mini-golf before 7 pm with under 18's. The venue also features the UK's first Level X where guests can engage in gutterball, arcade games, and virtual reality zones.
Came here for my son inlaws 40th with family. We played darts, pool, and shuffle board. My daughter pre-booked our slots. The staff were all great, friendly and very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and it was certainly different and a first time for me. We never ate here so can't comment on their menu. If you are looking for something a bit different give it a go, it was a fun afternoon and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We got the birthday package for my sisters 18th to start the night—so fun!! We chose to do darts and axe throwing. We had booked on a whim and were a bit unsure about the axe throwing in particular. However, the host Billy was so welcoming. He demonstrated how to do it at the start but he also stays through the round and gives tips to make sure everyone can have a try and feel more confident. Even my gran was throwing axes!!! As part of the birthday package we got two drinks too and the selection was great. The bar staff were fast and really lovely. I’ve been with friends casually before but I’d definitely book another package—my sister also said she’d like to bring her friends when they turn 18 😂

Came to Glasgow for a quick trip to the passport office, ended up popping in here just to enquire about the axe throwing, and by the time we had left we had played just about every game they offer, spent 8 hours in there, and ended up needing to book a last minute hotel! The games were all an absolute blast, however, the staff truly made the experience wonderful, in particular, Beth, Scott and Lez were all some of the most helpful, friendly and attentive staff members we’ve ever met. Highly recommend and will inevitably make the journey back to Glasgow just for this bar again.

We had a great time. Staff were very friendly and approachable. We did axe throwing, darts and shuffle pucks. Amazingly each one of us excelled at one of them. Axe throwing is more challenging than one might imagine. The farmer‘s battle on the darts was pure chaos in the best possible way. Shuffle pucks was probably my favourite.

Came for my fiance and I's hen/stag do. The staff were incredible and so friendly, they honestly made the night special for us! We had jasmin as our host for the axe throwing, who tried her best to get me hitting that target (unsuccessfully). She was so helpful and I'm grateful for her guidance. I will definitely be back and I would recommend the place to anyone!
Becky — Google review
Billy was excellent at showing us first timers how to throw. And allowing us to "practice". 30 mins is enough for 2 who are learning but bigger groups would need longer. Mostly our host, Billy, was great at encouraging us. Also very pleased I got to keep my broken axe handle 🪓 feminine rage for the win !! Great place to have fun. If you want to just walk in and play, go during the day. Otherwise book in advance.
Robyn L — Google review
We took part in axe throwing and darts during our visit for our work night out, both activities were great. Emily was fantastic with our group - there were 9 of us all first time axe throwers and she was really patient with us, kept us all safe and made sure we were all having fun.

Had a Christmas lunch here with the work and it was great! Vegan food was delicous, was a set Christmas lunch, about £30 per person I think. Portions were a little small but good quality food. Malbec was delicous too, approx £24 per bottle. Friendly service, we arrived early and the team were able to accommodate. Really nice atmostphere especially as it was at Christmas time so the place was decorated in lights. would certainly return

Not best experience here. We had used a voucher via itison and booked an afternoon tea. Cannot recommend based on our experience. Will try other venues before coming back here. Staff appeared disinterested and nobody asked how the food was. Sandwiches had that dry touch to them as if they'd been left out for some time. We both had iffy tummy's later, and whilst may not be due to here, as we'd travelled in by train, we'd not been anywhere else during the day. Coffee was okay though. Shame as a good experience would have brought us back as part of an evening out

A fancy feel for afternoon drinks with their interior and classy drinks which you need to expect a little bit pricey for the price compared to other bars around Merchant City. It’s a nice place with lovely staff. We enjoyed our wee time here just before our dinner at another restaurant, but will definitely come back for the next visit in Glasgow :) Oh! Don’t forget to book ahead of time, for more convenience.

Very nice place to eat. Atmosphere wasn't very good, very quiet, but it was a Tuesday evening. Suited us as we wanted a catchup. Only negative is you need to pay extra for chips and potatoes, they are not included in your main meal. My friend would definitely recommend the wagu beef burger 🍔.

Metropolitan bar should definitely be on your list of places to check out. My recent visit there left me thoroughly impressed! First and foremost, the steak was cooked to perfection. Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, it was one of the best I've had in a while. Paired with a glass of red wine that was just the right balance of bold and smooth, it made for a truly memorable meal. But it wasn't just the food that stood out at Metropolitan bar. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with cozy lighting and stylish decor that made for a great ambiance

Feels a bit hit and miss. The areas downstairs seem well kept, upstairs felt like it could do with a little bit of sprucing up. The terrace area upstairs was okay though. The scallops starter was nicely presented but the haggis was a bit dry. Although the steak sandwich took a while to arrive, it was tasty. Overall food was okay, place was clean, staff was friendly but nothing too memorable.
Adrian L — Google review
We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. Service was a bit slow and when I approached the bar I was told it was table service only - a sign wouldn’t have avoided the awkward exchange. Drinks were overpriced, no other way to put it - £4.50 for a bottle on non-alcoholic beer is too much. A bit too much style over substance for my taste I think, classy but not enough to justify the prices.

The Old Toll Bar in Kinning Park, Glasgow, is a historic pub that has been restored to its Victorian grandeur. It offers a wide selection of craft beers, premium spirits, and cocktails served over candlelight. The bar is known for some of the oldest cocktail recipes in the city. The atmosphere is relaxed and convivial, with attentive and friendly staff. The pub also features a function area downstairs where events like birthday parties and dragioke take place.

Great wee pub, nice atmosphere with it's old dark carved wood. The staff are really nice and the ale offerings on tap are great. The cider they had on tap I really enjoyed too. The cocktails list looked good but we were enjoying the ale/cider too much.

I was in here for an event. They have a great selection of beers. The old interior is preserved which is great to see.
Alex K — Google review
Gorgeous ancient pub with very atmospheric red lighting and original 19th century interior, including real candles at every table and a private bar downstairs. Regularly has live music and quiz nights, although I would say the music is often far too loud for such a small place. Constantly changing selection of draught beers & ciders well worth a weekly visit, good low/no alcohol options, and friendly helpful staff. Always one of my go-tos when showing friends around my neighbourhood. Considering the area is full of unwelcoming unionist/football pubs, The Old Toll is a diamond in the rough.
Stereoman — Google review
Popped into this bar last night – packed room, mostly white faces, atmosphere as warm as a tax audit. Ordered a drink for £30 (yes, thirty), which felt like paying for the privilege of being ignored. I politely asked a few women if they fancied a dance – no takers, which was fine. Then, without a word of warning, a member of staff told me to leave. No explanation, just the sort of cold stare that says, “We don’t really want you here.” Things took a surreal turn when a random white man, not employed by the bar, decided to play security and tried to put his hands on me. I declined his offer of unwanted touching. Once outside, he followed me and attacked me – clearly, his customer service training extends beyond the premises. If you enjoy overpriced drinks, silent hostility, and the risk of being assaulted by strangers after closing time, this place is perfect. For everyone else, there are friendlier bars – and better drinks – just around the corner. Come for the drinks, stay for the discrimination – and don’t forget to bring your own bodyguard.”

Banana Moon is a trendy and contemporary bar in Glasgow's West End, co-owned by Fergus McVicar and DJ institution Optimo. The bar boasts a bright green frontage, neon lighting, and outdoor bench seats. Inside, the retro wood-panelling and vintage tables give it a Berlin vibe. Was going for a couple cocktails and a nice evening and got told the cocktails would be brought over. The bar was not busy at all. We then waited 20 minutes just to be told the cocktails we ordered weren’t available. Waited another 10 minutes and only one of the cocktails was brought over and was 90% ice and 10% (being generous) was cocktail. Said we have to leave for a dinner reservation and I was still charged the full £10.50 for the cocktail alternative I was offered. Horrible service, will not be returning. Would not recommend anyone else does either unless you want an overpriced cup of ice 30 minutes after you ordered it.

A cocktail bar that has a laid back, trendy vibe. Not offputtingly hipster. The cocktails look great and aren't too expensive. There isn't a huge selection of beers, but it's not a place to sink pints. Staff are helpful and friendly (which is great and unusual for this type of place). When we visited, it was a rainy Friday, but with their excellent DJ, it was like being somewhere really relaxing abroad. Well worth a visit.

Absolute GEM of a bar. Staff were so welcoming and friendly, great selection of drinks. We stumbled in accidentally for Thursday trivia and had the best time. Truly a must if you’re in the West End.

Truly one of THE best little spots in Glasgow. Especially on a Wednesday night with Druma playing. A must visit when in Glasgow! There's also a great quiz on Thursdays!

Not my typical go to place for a drink. I was a bit skeptical to begin with but how wrong was I. The cocktails on offer were absolutely top drawer. Whiskey Sours were tremendous - genuinely some of the best I’ve ever had. Margarita much the same. Fully recommend and I will be back! Only downside being the long wait to be served but otherwise a brilliant wee bar.

If you're looking for a student-friendly bar with great cocktails, Vodka Wodka is the place to go! The drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is fun and lively. The outdoor seating area is especially nice in cold weather.
The best night out ever! Love victor glen and Sonya! Will be here for every pub quiz Tuesday for the rest of my life.

Went here with some friends due to the deals advertised on the outside of the bar. First dissapointment, no pizza was available (sad times). They qlso didn't have any of the house larger advertised so my friend ended up paying £7 for a madri. I ordered a marg on their weekday deal and it was hands down the worst margarita I've ever had the displeasure of drinking. Won't be coming back! 2 stars as the bar staff were nice

This lovely young man in Ashton Lane’s best wee pub made us feel so welcome, making up for the terrible way we were treated at Jinty’s next door. The atmosphere here is great.

Vodka Wodka is an excellent pub on Ashton Lane. Great bar with lots of drinks availability and a huge cocktail selection too. Ample seating inside the front, even more behind and on a summers day in the HUGE beer garden, there is loads of outside seating and the DJ brings in a good crowd. Highly recommended
Stuarty B — Google review
We can up the west end for a day out myself and husband. Came up Ashton lane and visited a few bars. We approached vodka wodka and was told it was ‘too busy’ As we sat in the bar across the road, we witnessed the young guy on the door letting many your women in the bar and ushering away many male groups. He seemed to be very selective on the gender and style of the person or group. I find this appalling that bars are able to discriminate against gender this way. Won’t attempt to visit this bar again!

Good place to go to for reasonably priced, well-prepared cocktails. They've got a nice beer garden for relaxed evenings outside. However, the atmosphere feels a bit too studenty for my taste.

Used to really like it here but its gone down hill. The female bar tender yesterday was horrific, it felt as if she was doing us a favour by serving us, that was after she finally put her phone dkwn to acknowledge our very existance. I won't bother to burden the establishment with my custom again.

Could not recommend this place more! Had our yearly staff night out here and every single person was looked after. This place was busy at the time we were all there and staff were on the ball making sure customers didn’t need to wait long on drinks, While offering Great recommendations on cocktails.🍹 Staff are extremely attentive and friendly. Special shoutout to Victor, Owen & Sophie! Who are an absolute credit to vodka wodka! Keep up the good work guys! We’re thankful and we had an amazing night and will be back without a doubt! 🩷 If you’re looking for a fun relaxed atmosphere with good music, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!

Located in the heart of Glasgow, Ubiquitous Chip is a renowned brasserie that has been a staple in the city's dining scene. The restaurant prides itself on showcasing Scottish cuisine and locally sourced ingredients, making it a top recommendation for visitors. Its charming atmosphere, with mismatched furniture and twinkling fairy lights, adds to its bohemian appeal. The menu features innovative and artistic dishes that highlight the restaurant's culinary prowess.
Got the venison burger and it was so good I literally said "wow" on first bite. Most everything else was excellent too. Ordered a martini and the staff was super apologetic not to have olives, but it was still a lovely drink. The burger came with unexpected chips, and the wine was excellent, and it's a nice place with good atmosphere and terrific service. Highly recommended.

Terrific selection and all very tasty items. But what makes it really stand out - the people Staff made this a special evening by just taking extra step in making us comfortable. We came half across the globe to this city and this place just made it a great evening.

Cute atmosphere, super friendly staff and delicious food and cocktails. We almost walked past thinking inside would be small, but there was ample seating, with two separate dining areas. We ate upstairs and the laksa was sensational!

Last night, we visited the ever popular Ubiquitous Chip and it was another great dining experience. The Chip (as it's known) is a sister business to Stravaigin (another favourite of ours) and it's recently reopened after a bit of a refurbishment. There are various spaces to enjoy including a pub and bar as well as a large multi level restaurant area. The vaulted glass cieling area is a mix of brick, iron and big green plants. It's softened by interesting artwork, especially the stairway to the bathroom. Staff are always attentive, casual in approach but knowledgable. The atmosphere is always buzzing and the crowd tends to be very local. We enjoyed torched makeral and pigeon to start. Followed by sea trout and venison. To finish our meal, the desserts (chocolate delice and fig & custard) were the highlight. Highly recommend this Ashton Lane stalwart.

27.09.25 Updated review to reply: If it's likely to not get charged £25 per person by cancelling then it should be considered changing the wording on the cancelling policy. If it is for no shows mainly (which I do understand btw). Added photo/screenshot for booking policy. Initial review: The food was amazing and the service was good too. Giving 4* because if you happen to not manage to go within less than 24h they will charge £25 per person on the booking. Which is a bit cheeky! I understand lots of people won't even bother cancelling but I would say £10 per person with maybe 12h notice it would be understanding.

The Willow Tea Rooms, located at 217 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow G2 3EX, United Kingdom, is a charming cafe designed in 1904 with an Art Nouveau theme. It was created during the temperance movement to provide an elegant space for enjoying tea instead of alcohol. Architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh oversaw its construction, and extensive restoration has preserved its original style. The menu features a traditional three-tiered cake tray with baked treats and sandwiches.
I visited the Willow Tea Rooms with my mom and we had such a lovely time! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the unlimited tea was such a treat. We really enjoyed being able to sit, relax, and chat over endless cups. A wonderful experience I’d happily recommend to anyone visiting.☕️🩷

I tried their afternoon tea set, around £40 for two. It was a nice experience. My partner particularly really liked the smoked salmon sandwich and meringue. I LOVE the fruit scones with butter and jam. Unpretentious and very charming. Tea was nice and hot, in a pretty teacups. I do not know if they can do hot water refill though. Even though they can do walk-ins, I recommend to get a booking since they get busy at times. Conveniently located in Buchanan Street, perfect for a pit stop after a stroll/shopping.

I've always wanted to go but we are usually too busy. This year we managed to visit the Tea Rooms on Buchanan St. It didn't disappoint. I'm unsure whether there is a lift, but the stairs to enter are a little daunting given my slight disability, but I managed it. Absolutely stunning decor, as expected with a cute gift shop. All of the staff are chatty and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. The food was amazing and beautifully presented.

Wow such an amazing welcoming afternoon tea experience. We came to the Willow Tea Rooms from London for my partners birthday and the staff were so friendly and the service was 10/10. I was too full to eat my cake that I had selected, so the staff gave me a little box to take back to my hotel. When I had my cake later on OMG it was delicious 10/10 my partner was trying to pinch it after devouring his earlier. I didn’t manage to get the manager’s name but she was absolutely lovely and gave us some great recommendations for visiting Glasgow. Thank you The Willow Tea rooms we will definitely be back.

Stravaigin, a restaurant with a name derived from an old Scots word meaning "to wander aimlessly with intent," offers gourmet dishes made from unconventional ingredients like grey squirrel, hedgerow herbs, and sea urchins. Since its opening in 1994, the restaurant has been known for its experimental flavors and sustainable sourcing of local and global ingredients.
We got caught in the rain during our visit of the Glasgow university buildings, and just picked a spot that was nearby. It turned out to be a very positive surprise as we came along this lovely Scottish restaurant. It was a bit crowded but luckily we got a table and enjoyed some amazing dishes and drinks. It is a bit more on the pricy side, however you get amazing dishes for your money and very attentive service.
Tamás M — Google review
We had a reservation at Stravaigin last night for a business dinner during a work trip to Glasgow. One of our guests was travelling with their dog, and according to the website, dogs are welcome on the ground floor. Since there’s a quiet and comfortable area downstairs that seemed suitable for a business meal, we made our booking with a clear note stating that we’d be bringing a dog and that it was a business occasion. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that our table had been booked upstairs—where dogs aren’t allowed. When we pointed this out, the staff checked and confirmed that our note had indeed been included in the reservation, but it had simply been overlooked. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. However, by the time we arrived, there were no free tables left in the quieter area on the ground floor. Instead of making an exception and allowing the dog upstairs in light of their own mistake, we were asked to wait and were eventually seated in the very loud pub area. It was far from suitable for a professional conversation. Sorry Stravaigin, but we communicated everything clearly in advance—both the business context and the presence of a dog. If that information is ignored, the customer shouldn't have to bear the consequences. A customer-focused solution would have been the right thing to do. Based on this experience, I can’t recommend Stravaigin for business dining or for situations that require flexibility or accountability.

What a great experience visiting Stravagin! Food and team were stunning. We had a table for three tucked high in the mezzanine… we all loved that location and will be asking to be sat there again. 2 of our party ate from the Sunday roast menu… for starters… soup of the day which was extremely flavourful, and seared cauliflower with hazelnuts and curry leaves… I highly recommend this dish it was delicious! These were followed by the roast rump of beef, which was tender and cooked to perfection, and all the accompanying vegetables cooked perfectly, special mention for the hispi cabbage … and the onion purée. Our other diner chose the a la carte menu… grilled sardines to start cooked to perfection.., followed by a loin of venison cooked to perfection. We forced ourselves to have dessert…none of which disappointed. Fantastic crème brulle, and a velvety chocolate cremaux, and i really enjoyed the quirky serving of Brie with brioche and onion chutney. Can’t wait to return to this gem of a Glasgow restaurant again soon. Well done to all the team.

Could not recommend highly enough! We booked the cellar for our wedding celebration and from the first contact, everything has been perfect! Jade was so lovely and helpful in helping us get everything sorted before it - nothing was too much trouble. On the day, Olivia got the room ready for us and it was perfect and ensured we had everything we needed all night. The food was incredible and all our guests loved it - everyone kept talking about the mussels!! But what made our night truly special was the staff! The service was absolutely brilliant! The cherry on the cake was the gigantic tiramisu for dessert which was amazing! We can’t wait to be back! Thank you again for everything 🩷

Amazing food, we went there for a birthday celebration. The muscles were super fresh, great pork belly and probably the best haggis we've ever tried. Our server was super helpful in making our choices without being pushy for any item. I only have one thing to fault the restaurant, and it's that they didnt put on the menu that there was an added 10% service charge. We would have left a tip otherwise. However, really good experience overall.
Alberto M — Google review
Tried out Stravaigin after being recommended and it did not disappoint. Had the mussels with the red sauce and it was the best part of the meal . Had some starters and haggis which unexceptional. Was a bit disappointed in the ice cream of the day - it was an oat meal cream with an oat biscuit, not the best combination but probably a poor choice of dessert on our part . Great selection of whisky , with a whisky menu which I believe is new . They didn’t have the whisky I wanted but the staff were kind enough to recommend one and even price match to the one I had initially asked for! I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu . Great interiors btw

Stravaigin truly delivers on its motto: “Think global, eat local.” The food was outstanding - creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. I was especially surprised by the attention to detail in even the simplest dishes. The green side dish, in particular, stood out - perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour. It’s rare to see such care put into every element of the meal.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of St Andrew is a stunning Georgian Catholic cathedral located in the heart of Glasgow. Built in 1817 by James Gillespie Graham, this Gothic-style landmark features contemporary artworks within its re-imagined cloister garden. Originally classified as a church, it was later designated as a cathedral in 1884 after extensive renovations. The cathedral boasts an important statue of St. Andrew and is known for its unique architectural features.
My husband and I visited this church for the first time on Sunday 22nd of September. Have to say it was absolutely beautiful. The service was lovely, the choir fantastic and the ladies in the shop were so nice to us. We got some beautiful photo's too. For me though the tour by Ralph was very moving. He spoke so eloquently about the Italian Memorial Garden. He, and those caring for the garden were so caring & informative about their families legacy. We have no Italian family but felt great empathy & sympathy for their loss. The whole visit was very serene and spiritual for us. Thank you all. God bless. A must visit if ever in Glasgow.

Sublime architecture and I could only wish that I’d get the chance to return and experience Mass here. A real shame that I wasn’t around to see much of a testament to the Catholic faith it would have been, before the removal of the galleries. Nonetheless, a place that can be marvelled at and enjoyed by the community.

The Sunday Roast dinner was absolutely fantastic. Every part of it was perfect and it really was a brilliant meal. The dessert fondue was also different class and really topped the meal off nicely. I cant recommend this meal option highly enough. Absolutely fantastic

Don’t be fooled by social media came from Dundee for a roast not worthy of Toby Carvery Sunday roast was stone cold had to be returned along with table opposite. Fillet steak was unavailable and swapped with 3 slices of roast beef for the same price. Were seated outside but rain was leaking through Perspex roof onto table so had to ask to be moved. First roast came and was cold had to be returned then second roast came and was look warm at best. I appreciate the fondue is there for warm gravy to warm the meat a bit but wouldn’t stay lit the whole time we were there so gravy went cold very quick despite staff relighting 3 times overall one of worst meals I have eaten in Glasgow for £79.80 for a roast to share 2 french martinis and 2 flat morettis Pints of lager flat also as per pics
Steven M — Google review
Went to try their Sunday roast fondue, which was absolutely delicious. Meat was tender and cooked perfectly. The amount was perfect for two people. Would definitely recommend trying this with a friend. We also had one vegetarian and one vegan person in our party, so they shared the vegetable platter and the vegan cheese fondue. They swapped the soda bread for sourdough. My vegetarian friend was pleasantly surprised at how nice the vegan cheese fondue was. The place is a bit rustic but comfortable. The table was a bit wobbly and the water glasses were dirty. We asked for clean one but unf they were just as bad. Service to start with was okay as it was busy when they first opened but a couple of hours later it was difficult to get our waiters attention so we had to grab another staff member and ask to get our plates taken away. We did order more drinks, which we had to ask for again, and when they came, one was the wrong size. But overall, we enjoyed ourselves and were happy we made the trip from Edinburgh for it.

Enjoyed the Sunday roast fondue, menu said it’s good for 2 but the 4 of us were stuffed after sharing. Steak was beautifully pink, gravy was perfectly salty, carrots and parsnips caramelised and Yorkshire massive!! Incredibly happy and what a fun and unique way to eat a roast. Dessert fondue was also lovely, pears were fresh and the marshmallows were soft and we were very happy.

The food was good and hit the spot. We loved the food, but the service wasn't the greatest. We were forgotten about for a long time when we were trying to order more drinks and desserts, and when we tried to pay, they didn't even know what check it was and were upset that we didnt know our table number when there was no number on the table for us to know.

We had to wait a bit for the table we booked, and were then rushed off the table before we had our alloted time. The food was good and reasonably priced. Hopefully it was just an off day for the service side.

Visited with friend. First time trying food at Brel, ordered half pot of mussel's, Raclette sharing platter and meat board. Had 2 pints each and all came to £70. Food was fantastic, and server help with decision making. Could easily have been shared between 3/4 people as we had leftovers. Strongly recommend.
Andrew H — Google review
I can’t deny that the atmosphere of Brel was amazing and so so pretty inside. However that is where it ends unfortunately, the service was slow and not very friendly. My friend and I were waiting for quite a while before we got sat at a table. This was less than ideal as multiple staff members did see us waiting but did not acknowledge us which was strange as the restaurant was really not very busy. The food was average and nothing to shout home about, the cocktails were lovely and I would recommend them. I would say it is not super budget friendly however the portion sizes were good.
