Delicious food. Would recommend the white chocolate and salted cashew cookie, it's delicious. Carrot cake really good. Coffee lovely but both could have been a bit bigger. Staff member taking our order was lovely, other woman behind the till was unwelcoming. We did sit in which was nice as could look out the window but seating area very small and can get a bit crammed. Would definitely return :)

Very small little bakery off the road. Not much sit in room. But saw this place recommended a bunch of times on Reddit. It’s a little bit away from the train stations so I took the subway over. The coffee I would say was just okay. My group got a cappuccino (they mixed it up and gave a latte), and a chai, and an americano. All three were good but nothing to rave about. The highlight for us was the bakery! SO good. We were talking about these sweets all day! And recommended to a few of my friends also. We got a blueberry tart (had almonds- so yum), a white chocolate and raspberry tart (probably my fav thing), and a few sandwiches. These were the only sandwiches/ actual food available. But all of it just hit the spot!! Would definitely go back for the bakery! And the bread was baked fresh, the place smelled amazing.

Only popped in to get a croissant but ended up getting the pork and sage sausage roll, vanilla and almond cakes and the bakewell tart. That too, straight after a dentist appointment! Best sausage roll in Glasgow and the cakes are just delicious. Plan to sit in next time. Worth the wait.

Lovely little bakery, the cinnamon bun was definitely a highlight. I would say the sweet bakes were not as great as their bread and pastry’s, plain croissants were so good we returned to get more!

Our time in Glasgow was a culinary delight! So much to choose from. For our morning train ride, we chose to stop at Tantrum Doughnuts for some treats. This was one of the best decisions we made in Glasgow! I have to say these were the best doughnuts we had in Scotland. Fresh, bursting with flavor, and served with a smile. Don't pass this place up. I visited Tantrum Doughnuts and tried the Pumpkin and the Crème Brûlée doughnuts — they were absolutely delicious! 🍩 The flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering excellent service with a smile. I also noticed that the price for dining in is £1 higher than takeaway, but it’s worth it for the cozy atmosphere and great service. Definitely one of the best doughnut spots in Glasgow!

Here's Walking past Tantrum Donuts, I was immediately drawn in by their tempting and mouth-watering display. It was impossible to resist the allure of their creative donut flavors. I decided to treat myself to a crème brûlée donut, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! The donut was rich, with a perfectly fluffy texture that just melted in my mouth. Inside, I found a treasure trove of unique flavors, each one more intriguing than the last. I wished I could try them all, but alas, my sugar quota for the day had to be respected. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. I’m already planning my next visit to explore more of their delicious creations. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by and indulging in their generously sized donuts. It’s a sweet adventure you won’t want to miss!

Small donut shop serving handmade donuts daily. The price of the donuts ranges from £1 for a simple old-fashioned donut to £3+ for a fancier filled donut. There’s a different pricing if you choose to eat-in, and there’s limited seating in the shop. There were also a selection of vegan donuts available for those with vegan dietary restrictions. The donuts were reasonably sized — fluffy dough with a generous amount of filling! My personal favourite was the Lemon & Lime cheesecake donut :) Even though they recommend consuming the donuts within the day of purchase, the donuts still tasted great one day later!

I live round the corner and a returning customer. The staff are always lovely and very welcoming. I asked them if they'd make a pup cup for the wee man and they did 😭 he loved it. Coffee and creme brulee doughnut very tasty.

Some of the best and tastiest donuts I’ve consumed and I’ve had my fair share of donuts. I visited Glasgow for three nights and visited three times. Yes this is true! Please do check the varieties as there’s soo many, including popular vegan peanut butter variations! Super friendly staff and I’m only deducting a star as when I ordered my coffee (on both occasions) this was unfortunately lukewarm. Amazing setup!

Scrumptious doughnuts in a massive range of flavours, all made freshly. There are some cheaper, plainer ones at about £1-1.50, the fancier ones are £2.85 (Feb 2024) which isn't super cheap, but is good value for what you get! Friendly staff too.

We really liked this coffee. It's quite small and got hardly any seating unless you can sit outdoors. The bagel was amazing. The breakfast bun was fine. But bit uninspiring. The location is great. Just 2min walk from Central Station.

The to go cup for my espresso is a dead giveaway. But If like your coffee dark,bitter, slightly burnt and 150C* this is for you. The bacon roll was great 👌 The staff is great 👌

Sandwiches, pastries and coffee was good. Some of the staff was great, but others weren’t so much. Bad vibes from some of them. Tiny cafe with not much sitting areas, but when you’re in it’s nice! Music a bit random though, could be nice to be a calmer area by the busy street!

It was my first visit to this amazing wee cafe, the staff were attentive, the food and its presentation were immaculate. The coffee (Americano) was smooth, not bitter and the bacon roll was exceptional. The staff wrapped it in a grease proof wrapper, wrapped like a gift and tasted like one too! Great value for money, the highest quality and friendly staff! Highly recommended!👏

It's a small coffee bar that is great for takeaway and good for a quick sit in if it's not busy. The seats at the window provide a nice view if you enjoy people watching, and the staff were extremely welcoming and delightful. The coffee was nice and smooth, and the food was rather flavourful. There are plenty of options for vegetarians. However, there aren't many vegan options. The pastries and treats looked incredible, but I have yet to try one myself. It's a little pricey for a small bite in a small establishment, but I know small businesses are struggling with inflation at the moment, so I can not be too harsh about that. Overall, I would definitely recommend popping in for a coffee.

Wanted a quickly cooked breakfast before heading out of Glasgow. Ended up getting just a coffee because the hob was a flat surface grill that cooked everything including eggs, which I am allergic to and mentioned to the staff. The breakfast I saw others have looked lovely though. Just a pity that they don’t cater to allergies. Also, they’ve got a small sitting area so your best bet is to take out or suffer getting squeezed between the rush hour queue, and smell of grease on your clothes and hair after you’re done eating.

Gutted Riverhill has now closed. Had been our favourite coffee shop in the centre for years. The soup with bread was always incredible. The mocha was the best I’ve had and it was always welcomingand cosy. There was a time I had a half shawarma or soup every day. I’ll also miss the overnight oats. Absolute best of luck for the future and at uni and hopeful for what’s coming next.

I got bread and cakes yesterday for the first time and everything was really very tasty and fresh. The girl was really nice and cheerful and it was a pleasant experience. I really recommend getting some goodies in here! Without doubt the best sausage roll I’ve ever had in my life, I can’t recommend them enough, grab them while you can and you’ll never go anywhere else for them.

The pies from this place are next level , the cakes are also really well made i bought a raspberry Cheesecake, carrot cake and a selection of pies and couldnt have asked for better quality, great wee shop and excellent staff cant recommend enough

The best bakery ever. Staff are so lovely. I am here all the time I can’t get enough. Cannot recommend the following enough - raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake (even non cheesecake lovers will love this), the almond croissant (you won’t find a croissant like this even in France) and the cinnamon bun (pop in micro for 15 seconds)

I bought a few cakes here today for my family. 'This is the best cake I've had in ages, seriously, really good.' That was for the mango volcano cake! It was so fresh and yummy.

This place would get a full on 5 start, but they only had one vegan option in their menu. The vegan option I had was a mango passion fruit cake, and it was divine! DIVINE! best cake I have had in Glasgow. I wish they start offering more vegan options, as I would love to try more of their stuff!

Loved this little bakery. We were staying in the area for 10 weeks and visited as often as we could. Highlights were the ricotta and spinach pies, tomato and basil slice and the carrot cake. Yummy! Such friendly staff also. Thanks for giving us such delicious good. Highly recommend.

Food is DELICIOUS! Some of the tastiest cakes in Glasgow cafes, and a really good brunch menu! I wouldn't rate their coffee as the best but it's nice enough and they use Oatly which is my favourite milk! Also good baked bread to buy for home 😊

The place is cute and the staff is really nice. However, the food and drink is only okay. The baked goods seemed as though they had been sitting for a moment, meals were creative but lacked anything special in the flavor, and the coffee failed to stand out as well. Maybe I just came at the wrong time. I wanted to like the place, especially with how nice the staff were. I just couldn't.

Hands down the best bakery in the Southside of Glasgow. Have never had a bad pastry from the endless selection they put together each week. Staff are always incredible. Queues go down quick, they post the menu on Instagram every week, and they’re always clear with their opening hours.

Came for some sausage rolls and a sweet treat to eat while we walked round the park. Got the veggie and real haggis ones which were great and the Erin mess danish was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful and there’s a couple tables outside which is handy.

If you are a bread connoisseur, then this is the place for you. I couldn’t fault this loaf. Black Sesame Sour Dough, beautifully yeasty and so springy. Can’t wait to try what’s been baked tomorrow 😍

I live just round the corner and come here all the time. Easily my favourite bakery/ coffee shop takeaway place in Glasgow. Staff are lovely, the espresso is excellent and all the bread/ sandwich and sweets are class! Worth a detour if you’re in the southside. If there’s a queue it’s worth the wait :))

My husband and I have been big fans for many years, so it really was a no-brainer to do a bulk order from them for our wedding this past December. They were great with arranging our order (several months in advance), and on pick up day everything was carefully packed and ready to go. Our guests absolutely loved all the treats. "Best wedding dessert ever" and they are still raving 3 months on! As you can probably see in the picture, some were snagged before our reception even started. Thank goodness my MoH snagged some for us to eat later that night! So, massive thank you to the Big Bear Team for making a special treat for our big day. We love every chance we get to visit!

I visited with a friend and was really disappointed with both the quality and the service. The coffee was nothing special — very average at best — but what stood out even more was the cold, unwelcoming environment created by the staff. When I asked a perfectly reasonable question about product suitability for certain diets, the response was dismissive and made me feel as though I had asked something outrageous. My friend picked up on the same attitude and felt just as uncomfortable. To make matters worse, when another staff member tried to step in and offer help, she was immediately shut down with, “No, we don’t do that here.” Watching that happen in front of customers only reinforced the impression that they don’t value being approachable or helpful. A bakery should be a place where people feel welcome to ask questions and enjoy their visit — sadly, this place failed on both counts.

I’m not sure if it’s a mistake, but I am absolutely disappointed. The chocolate croissant was very dry and tasteless, while the almond one was definitely more buttery. However, the amount of filling is an absolute joke

The display grabbed my attention right away, I had to get in! The pastries were both pretty and delicious. The guy behind the counter was lovely, he was so patient while I tried to decide just what to try and what to get my friend! He recommended the cinnamon knot and oh my, I'm so glad I got it, it was delicious.

You need to come here. I’m not sure what magic they’re doing behind that counter but we’ve recently been two weekends in a row and everything we’ve tried has been phenomenal. The sourdough loaf is the best I have ever tried (and I’ve eaten a lot of bread in my time). Worth a visit for that alone. Otherwise, we’ve tried the doughnuts, cakes, brioche pretzels and cruffins. Everything is just excellent. There’s also a wee selection of chutneys, pickles, teas and I’m sure they also sell filter coffee too. I’m so excited that we have such talented bakers on our doorstep in the east end - I’d rather come here and support a local business than go anywhere else.

Absolutely love this little bakehouse. The sourdough bread is one of the best I've had. Always order a selection of their cakes on offer. I didn't get a photo of the chocolate chip cookie because it was ridiculously tasty and the texture was right up my street so it was gone before I remembered to take a snap 😂 ! Beautiful bakes every time!

The hot chocolate and cakes from this wee shop are definitely high quality, a bit on the pricey side but far better than other shops near by for getting cakes, staff are friendly, and normally it isn't too busy.

Stumbled upon this quaint bakery on the way home as the lotus bake caught my eye. Very pleasantly surprised, the lady was as sweet as the goodies and ever so welcoming. The dough is fluffy and soft, a perfect sweet treat for a Sunday. Will definitely be popping in again from time to time!

My partner and I got married last Thursday and were looking for a simple two-tier wedding cake. The amazing team at Sweet Jane did a fantastic job. We requested an orange and cardamon cake with vanilla buttercream and lots of bright, colourful flowers. The result was absolutely beautiful and so delicious. Will definitely be recommending the Sweet Jane team to other couples. Thank you so much for making our day even more special!

What an amazing night @singlendcafe_glasgow in Garnethill for the NOLA night supper club. New Orleans themed five course supper club dinner. Started the evening with the iconic ‘Hurricane’ cocktail, followed by oysters rockerfeller, shrimp and smoked sausage gumbo, crab slider, chicken and chorizo jambalaya and beignets. We were keen to try Lorne Sausage on our trip and found this cafe. It was very busy, booking recommend for larger groups. Tasty food and friendly staff. Being one large room, the sound is quite reverberant (trickier for a neurospicey dinner) A bouji take on the classics. Worth it for tasty cakes and buzzing atmosphere. Very tasty bloody Mary's! But coffee not as bouji as the cafe feels it should be.

Attended their Nola night supper club. It was amazing. The atmosphere was spot on, live jazz band, so much food! We really enjoyed our time with the staff and entertainment. Food was served fast and warm and was delicious too. Definitely worth what we paid for and will be more than welcomed to join more of their supper club nights

This was such a spacious, lovely place, I loved the atmosphere and the decorations. I tried their brioche french toast which did not really taste like I expected sadly, but the bacon was very nice and crunchy. The coffee was also really good. I'll definitely give this place another try, and they have so much outdoor space as well for the rare sunny days!

Visited on a Sunday afternoon as a group of six. Despite the café being busy, the service was fast, friendly, and well-organised. Most of the food was very good — I ordered the Stornoway (black pudding, poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce, and toasted sourdough). It was enjoyable overall, but the eggs were overcooked, with firm yolks instead of the runny ones you’d expect. One thing to note is the 10% service charge automatically added to the bill. I’m not usually a fan of that approach, though in this case the service did justify it — assuming, of course, the charge goes directly to the staff.

I ducked into this great space and said yes to the pumpkin French toast with roasted pumpkin and spiced crème fraîche. I did not regret it. Delicious and great service with a lively atmosphere. Loved the first impression bakery table too.

Visited for breakfast on a Monday morning. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered an eggs Benedict and ‘the everything’ breakfast. The food was good, ingredients all very fresh and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. The only reason I have scored 4 stars is because the bread crusts were so hard we couldn’t even cut them with a knife. There is also an open display of cakes / sweet treats as you come in, that I feel should be covered for food hygiene purposes. Would return again - but would ask for the bread to be less toasted!

Absolutely lovely tea room in a quaint little lane. The staff is always very kind and efficient, I have always been seated quickly and my orders come out promptly. The pricing is very reasonable especially in comparison to other tea places in the surrounding areas. I always make the time to swing by when I am in the city and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a cute little tea stop.

We ordered a London Fog pot for two along with a cherry cake, and it was an unforgettable experience. The tea was perfectly brewed, smooth, fragrant, and full of flavor, with just the right balance of creaminess and sweetness. Truly the best tea I’ve ever had. The cherry cake was fresh, moist, and paired beautifully with the tea, making every bite a delight. On top of that, the tea room itself feels like stepping into a fantasy , filled with dolls and charming teapots that make the atmosphere so special and inviting. This place has quickly become one of my favorites in Glasgow, and I know I’ll be coming back again and again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Love this spot in Finnieston for lunch or coffee and a cake. Would really recommend! Very family friendly too and situated in a lovely lane with lots of independent shops.

The cafe was quiet.We had 2 lattes and a cheese and onion scone with butter and chilli jam.We had to ask for hot milk as lattes were low.We enjoyed our visit with lovely staff but expensive at £13.50.

Got the 5£ breakfast club deal. The cappuccino was very good and the yoghurt bowl was great. Great selection of other food. Will be back to try more.

I first saw Full Circle Bakes on Instagram. The cookies looked incredible, and with a 4.9 on Google, I had to give them a try. I was fully aware that sometimes, with baked goods, you can get catfished. Not this time. These tasted better than they looked, and I didn't even get a chance to heat them up. Obviously, the cookies were great, but their S'mores brownie was the best brownie I've ever had by quite a bit. Gooey and a bit chewy, not too sweet, just right. You could taste the chocolate, marshmallows, and biscuits. Sensational 👌 Their coffee, too, was pretty good, way above average. That was unexpected, too. If you get the chance to go to Full Circle, you will know why it gets such great reviews.

Simply my favourite bakery in town! Which makes sense since it’s an award winning bakery too! I come in pretty much every week as it’s always the best! Also the staff are always 10/10 as lovely as can be :)

Fab bakery, I visited on a Monday after I had seen they were offering 25% off on their socials (they're usually only open Friday-Sunday). The stuffed cookies are HUGE and the staff were very helpful when recommending flavours to try. Luckily they store in the freezer because I walked away with A LOT 😂 they taste as good as they look too!

Highly recommend! I absolutely love their creativity with flavours and the size. I've been a couple of times, and everything I've tasted has been divine! With a wide selection of flavours, there's something for everyone as well. The staff are so friendly, down to earth and helpful. They happily answer all questions and offer the same high level of service and attention to all customers - they've really mastered delivering a lovely, cosy experience. I'll definitely go back to try other flavours in the future!

Sadly, not a fan of this bakery. Having opened one bakery, and dreaming of one day opening another, I keep track of chocolate and bake shops, and make a list of top ones to try. This one was super highly-rated, but everything tasted like sugar, and just sugar! Sugar ought to enhance a flavor, not overpower it. When I’m exploring a new bakery, I’ll purchase a variety of items, and try one or two bites of eat with a few sips of water in between. I took one bite of each, and needed to drink the full 8 ounces of water! Not good 😞. I do appreciate creativity, and hope the baker receives the feedback and takes it to heart. I gave it a few hours and tried another bite of each but my mouth is overcome with sugar…don’t like. The presentation is lovely. The flavor mixtures are creative. For me, the execution requires a bit of remixing, so that butter, salt, lemon, or OTHER flavor profiles are stronger than the sugar.

First saw at the Glasgow Foodies Fest with a great presentation -- had to get the special Halloween edition box. Also had to stop by the bakery to pick up said box, where I got to meet some of the awesome and super friendly staff AND pick up a delicious pistachio double chocolate chip cookie. A must visit in Glasgow!

While the cakes looked so pretty and beautiful, what I truly recommend from this place is the pastry. The chocolate and hazelnut bun and a pistachio croissant were heavenly, the croissant perfectly crumbly and melting in your mouth and the bun fluffy and sweet. I enjoyed the strawberry and lemon roulade, though while it looks pretty and it was airy and nice, it didn't taste too much of strawberry or lemon. The coffee was really nice, though, and it came with such a pretty leaf design! I tried the honey oat latte that was so nice, not too sweet but perfect for a cold rainy day. Overall, I recommend this place mainly for the pastries first and foremost.

I came to a conference in Uni of Glasgow and I walked by this lovely cafe for a coffee break. It is less than 10 mins. walk from University of Glasgow Union Building. Coffee and pastry were amazing. Staff were nice too!

This place is fantastic. I come here all the time. I have brought freinds and grandkids, whom one of them is very fussy. One of the staff kindly made a special one for him and he ate the whole lot. The lady's thst work there are exceptionally nice. My favourite is the Berry Danish pastry, layers of buttery pastry with a beautiful filling, not to mention the raspberry chocolate patisserie one between two is not enough. Also mango and lemon that just melts in your mouth. The croissants are beautiful, with the right amount of layers and taste like heaven. My partner enjoyed the chocolate hazelnut bun. This is a hidden gem. You would be totally insane not to try this place. So, what are you waiting for by the time you have read this you could be there taking your first bite into a world of delight.

Absolutely great place. Fantastic pastry. I had the pistachio croissant 🥐 definitely no complaints over the pastry. The floor needs to be swept or hoovered more frequently. The cup I was given didn't have a handle which made it kinda difficult to lift up. As a small business collaborator myself, I know it's easy to grow complacent but honestly a lick of paint wouldn't be a waste. Please don't take my criticism harshly ❤️

Very bustly place with both people sitting in and takeaways. We managed to get a lovely seat by the window. We both had lattes and rolls to start, I had the pastrami and cheese was delicious and my friend had prosciutto with cheese which she loved too. We obviously had to have cake as they looked so amazing 😀 I can't remember the names of them exactly. I had a raspberry yogurt tart that was lovely, my only slight criticism was the tart itself was too hard. My friend loved hers and we both loved our Honey lattes, a little sweet so definitely could only have the one. Nice wee quirky place, lovely staff, busy though you can't book it.

The staff is friendly and service-minded. The atmosphere is nice. The hot beverages we took, one of the Christmas special hot chocolates, was so tasty, and the latte art was beautiful. Since we were only visiting Glasgow, we got as many different pastries as we could muster eating (unfortunately, not the whole selection, since our stomachs were too full 😢). And it was GOOD! Gosh, I wish we had something like this where I live. The favourites were the pistachio croissant and the meringue. They described the meringue pastry as eating a sweet cloud and it was exactly like that, it might be my favourite. Another first place contender was the pistachio filled croissant, just wow, I still drool when I think about it! 🤤 If you live in or ever visit Glasgow, do not miss this gem!

I have been a loyal customer since they first opened. It is not an exaggeration when I say that everything is delicious! They continue to blow my mind with new additions to their offerings. The coffee is great, the savory pastries and breads are great and the sweet treats are also great!

Everything is amazing in this place. The food, the coffee, the service all 10/10. They do amazing gifts as well as great deli food. If you’re looking for a tasty wee cake, sandwich, pizza they have it all. Real focus on quality produce. Definitely my favourite place!

Its a pitty this cafe is small coz they make such an awesome food and coffee. So ot has an outdoor table and 3 more inside. Coffee which was an Ethiopian coffee tasted awesome. The food was so pleasent and tasty. Chili Kaba with cheese is a must to try. Something i didnt tasted before. The eggplants Gryos was again tasty. The vegan platter also was so gd. The service was a bit slow but we were happy enjoying the sun outside and looking into the waiters making coffee and beautiful cakes on the window. I highly recomend this hidden gem for u to try. I will go back for sure.

One of my favourites bakeries in the Southside. I've tried a couple of their bagels and sandwiches, as well as their breads and they are all great. I highly recommend the bagel with hummus and shredded carrot, it's delicious. Also, their breads are some of my favourites in Glasgow.

Really good selection of fresh baked goods. The sourdough bread is one of the best ones in south side. The rhubarb buns and the chocolate crumble buns were incredible and worth going back for. Also really well priced compared to other bakeries in the area. They do run out of most things quite quickly but considering the bakery size that’s understandable.

By far my favourite bakery. Lovely friendly staff, tasty fresh food (sweet and savoury). Been going since they opened and never been disappointed. Often a bit of a queue outside but this moves quickly. Previously had design a sticker for kids, which were then printed out/purchasable. Generally just a great place. Thought I had reviewed before but must not have posted it. Would definitely reccomend!

Such a cool spot. You can see the team making all the goods while you order, and get a sense of the effort they put into their products. We picked up a pastrami bagel and a salmon bagel, along with a cinnamon bun and a banana and oat cookie. Bagels were perfectly chewy, with generous fillings. Cinnamon bun was doughy, well spiced, just great. The banana and oat cookie was a personal favourite! Coffees were excellent too. Super friendly staff, just an all round good time. There’s no seating inside, or (from what I could tell) a customer toilet, so just something to bear in mind! There’s a little bench outside, or we walked over to the park to enjoy our goods. Highly recommend!

Incredibly quick ordering system despite a small queue. Efficient, friendly service and absolutely delightful food. We tried the pastrami bagel and the mackerel pate bagel. 10/10 no notes. Would eat one every day if we lived closer.

Incredibly nice staff, good coffee. The cinnamon bun and the chocolate and poppy roll are up there for best pastries I’ve ever had. This place is a must go if you’re in Glasgow!!!

What can I add when people are prepared to queue outside on a daily basis for what can only be described as a sandwich of epic proportions and exquisite taste. Deanston Bakery is ran by Yuriy Kachak and his family. It is artisanal by method and the results are amazing ! The biggest seller (which we had) is the chorizo/chicken sandwich made with their own bread. Bagels look wonderful. The buns are equally amazing. Big 👏👏 to Yuriy and his loyal fans who need no encouragement from me. They queue because they know his worth. This is class.

Fantastic selection of cakes, sandwiches and deli food. I had the vegetaballs baguette and it was huge, the bread was insanely good and the quality of the ingredients is so obvious, wonderful little place.

Heading for a wander from Tradeston into the town today, I unexpectedly spotted a vegan oasis off Bridge Street and ended my journey for lunch sharpish...what a cool place! Tantalising menu to choose from topped with 1st class friendly customer service! I grabbed the vegan Reuben after sampling the infamous pastrami guy in NYC pre VEGAN days. Man it was delicious...and that 🥖...wow so good. Washed down with a low cal raspberry and Rhubarb number...proper thirst quenching flavour 😋. And a generous helping of Raspberry and Almond cake to finish...man this place is prime...will definitely be back to work through the menu.

Great wee deli. Cakes are delicious!! Currently working my way through the main menu and not been disappointed so far. My only criticism is that it’s bloody expensive. I work nearby and I’d go more often if it was cheaper. Also the takeaway coffee’s are tiny for the price.

Fabulous new vegan deli in the Southside of Glasgow with a great range of products. This eco-friendly cafe is entirely plastic-free. Produce includes sourdough, focaccia, paninis & pastries. Check out the nut cheeses in particular.

I would have given 5 stars like everybody else here but my feeling for Freedom Bakery has changed a bit now. We’ve been buying their bread all the time since we moved to Glasgow. Mainly white sourdough. It tasted great and was always reliable. But it became poor quality about 5, 6 weeks ago. Looked pale, spongey texture and not strong flavour. Bought 3 loaves in 10 days but all the same quality. I wrote to them from Instagram direct message with a video but no reply. I thought they were just busy but they are updating their social media and giving “likes” to their followers. My message was as polite as possible too. Then my partner messaged them from Facebook but still no response. Finally we wrote to their main email address, but again no reply at all. We were being completely ignored. They seem to hear only positive feedback. Now we have heard from our local supplier they know they have problems with their flour and giving them samples of new flour now. So why didn't they reply to us about this problem? Anyway we are disappointed with their attitude, very different to the corporate image on their website and social media. Hopefully we can find a better bakery locally.

Picked up some stunning white sourdough from Locavore, courtesy of Freedom Bakery and it was amazing. Full of flavour, delicious and well baked. I will be actively seeking this company out in future. Very well done!

Apparently a Glasgow Institution for decades, I had never heard of this West End Deli /restaurant. Had dinner Saturday night with our friends and had a fantastic experience. All the Italian classics available, and more besides , but with a Scottish twist. Great wine list, great service and impeccable food. Possibly the best Italian meal I've ever had and that's a bold statement.

We have been to Eusebi Deli before but it was few years ago so we were really looking forward to visiting it again. On this occassion it was with our family to celebrate my wife and I ruby anniversary. Everything was perfect from as soon as we went through the door. We had a corner table which was ideal for our party. The food was delicious. The crab ravioli was probably the best I have tasted. The service was great too with our server going through the menu dish by dish explaining what each dish was. And, of course to compliment our delicious food with some very tasty wine, the Pecorino is highly recommended. We won't leave it so long until we visit again.

Just a note to thank Michael and his team for a wonderful collection of savoury canapés which they provided for a pre-theatre gathering recently. My guests were very impressed with the range and tastiness of the platters. Hand delivered on lovely bamboo trays too. Fantastic, thank you 👏🏼❤️

Yet another visit to this wonderful restaurant which never fails to impress. From the exceptionally friendly and professional staff to the amazing food and extensive wine list - what’s not to like? We dined here today for lunch, and it was honestly so lovely!! The food was so tasty and fresh, my cocktail was delicious and to top it off our waitress (I wish I knew her name!) was so friendly, attentive and passionate about the food! Will definitely be back!

Where do I even start on this one- me and my husband are regulars and get coffee and cakes from Eusebi's on every occasion. It's almost like a ritual.it wouldn't be, if Eusebi's wasn't serving best coffee blend and pastries in Glasgow. This is not only place with vibrant history, but also great, authentic italian restaurant with brilliant service and above all- quality food, which makes you want to come back for more.

We visited to try a selection of the cakes on offer after hearing great things and they did not disappoint. Despite the size of each cake and the flavours on offer ,we ordered strawberry tarts, banoffee tarts and raspberry and coconut sponge cakes, they all managed to avoid being overwhelmingly sweet and were all beautifully light and airy which unfortunately for my waistline meant I was more than capable of eating eating every last crumb.

Fantastic - for a long time this has been my favourite brunch in Glasgow. My go-to is the harissa hummus toast which is so generously portioned with two poached eggs and loads of halloumi. Every time I visit there are exciting specials - like this lemon ricotta, pea, leek and courgette toast with pesto. This cafe is so reasonably priced, the portions are huge (especially the pancakes) and everything is so fresh and tasty. There are also a huge range of options for veggies and meat eaters. Be willing to wait an hour or more on weekends! But you can leave your number and wait for a text when your table is ready :)

I had such a fantastic experience at this brunch spot! The Vietnamese iced coffee was absolutely amazing — strong, smooth, and perfectly sweetened. I also tried the breakfast burrito wrap, which was packed with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. The fluffy pancakes with pistachio mascarpone and cherries were a standout — rich, creamy, slightly tart, and beautifully balanced. It was also my first time trying a potato scone, apparently a very Scottish thing ;) it was crunchy, delicious, and surprisingly addictive! Everything was freshly prepared and thoughtfully presented. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable and satisfying brunch in Glasgow!

I chose this cafe as my breakfast place because they relatively have high ratings in the surrounding area. When I was there, it was packed but the service was quick! Had two daily specials (savoury and sweet). My partner had savoury special and it was interesting, very chewy sourdough with a potent aroma of curry (I forgot the name). But my order, pancake with summer berries, on the other hand..... wow. Can't describe it with words!! Just look at the heavenly pictures. Feels like I'm eating an art. Like a craft that someone made wholeheartedly. It also tasted great too, everything blended well perfectly in terms of textures and flavour. Unfortunately the portion was massive I couldn't finish it. A good and memorable visit nonetheless.

We went for the Stornoway Stack & the Turkish Eggs and they were absolutely fabulous. Great vibe in the cafe and the food was sensational. The black pudding was delicious and top quality (As someone who knows their Stornoway black pudding). Bacon was extra crisp and the chilli jam negated any need for brown sauce. High recommend!

Been here a few times to get various baked goods for sharing. There's a good selection of food and options for vegetarians. Lots of options are tasty, but I particular like like the chocolate orange cake and the cinnamon rolls. All the chocolate covering are nice dark chocolate, which I prefer and I'll know it's good quality stuff. Inside is rather cosy and just about fits one large wooden table with chairs around it, plus a few breakfast tables with views outside of the window looking out into Hyndland Street. I've never tried to sit in for a coffee, but I can imagine that it would be quite busy and difficult to move if ever there was more than 6 people in the cafe. The staff are friendly and super helpful with advice on the best way to eat the cinnamon rolls.

Really lovely bakery! Beautiful selection of cakes. My personal favourite is the white chocolate with raspberry. Service is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. I recommend this place over all other bakery's down the street !!!

Hadn’t noticed this little Latvian bakery before but the window was beautifully curated and lured me in. Tried the mango and passion fruit volcano cake and the chocolate orange almond sponge. Both were soft, moist and delicious. They do a party box which allows you to try the whole range. I’ll definitely be trying it. Highly recommended

A family favourite! We have tried every item and fight for the crumbs every time. They have incredibly delicious vegan items too, and amazingly tasty lunch options - hello soup and sandwich, especially on a colder day.

Some delectable treats on offer. I can’t imagine there are many spots with better offerings than this. The quality of patisserie is evident and aesthetically they exude class. Stopped by for a canele and left a happy man! Note: The other items, albeit brilliant, are not quite the cheapest. Makes for a great occasional treat, compared to a regular one.

SugarFall Patisserie is exceptional - truly the best in the UK. I ordered a large birthday cake for my daughter, and they handled everything perfectly. The owner, Mr. Karolis, personally delivered it to our home exactly on time. The cake was absolutely exquisite - possibly the most delicious I've ever tasted. Their attention to detail and quality of service were remarkable. Highly recommended for any special occasion!

I got a blueberry dessert (forgot the name) and a raspberry macaron. Both SUPER delicious the macaron had the best chewy texture and the blueberry dessert was so fresh. I was sceptical of purchasing as many dessert shops sell stale products but no issue here these where fresh and super delicious! The environment was super cute and well decorated, there are seats and tables, and the staff are adorable, the lady that served us was very polite!

I ordered the French Afternoon Tea for my friends special birthday for five people to be delivered on the Sunday and everything was outstanding. Everyone was overwhelmed by the assortment of filled croissants, choux pastries and cakes . Everything was presented beautifully and delivered to the door on time . The choux buns were still warm and everything was delicious. I can’t praise the quality of food and service enough and look forward to using sugarfallpatisserie again. Simply outstanding and thank you for making the day so enjoyable

5 stars for cakes, they are superb just like in France. It was not the first time we were in SugarFall. Unfortunately have to take a couple of stars for service as we came today in 30min before close and we served cakes in take away box with wooden cutlery. It takes a lot from the experience of eating such cake and for place like this is very poor, would expect it from cheap place but not French inspired patisserie…

Popped in for a snack and coffee. Really nice place, staff are lovely and the cheesecake was amazing! Bit pricey but very nice stuff :) Edit: have came back a couple more times and everything has been great. The strawberry matcha one in particular was amazing. Summer cooler drinks are great too.

Do you remember where you were when you received the red warning from the met office? Not quite "you will always remember the day you almost caught Captain Jack sparrow" kind of vibe but nonetheless it is worthy of a visit with or without a met office warning. The Margarita's were decent and the olives were superb. I opted for the 'moules frites' and friend had the chicken burger. There is something about mussels being served in the kettle style which is hard to replicate but the mussels were good and the chorizo and tomato sauce was tasty. The burger was good and the accompanying sauce was delish; we both enjoyed the frittes. I forget the name of the house white but it was dry crisp and perfect with the mussels. It didn't have any of that after taste that typifies certain chardonnays and less expensive sav Blanc's. We shared the crepe.. but I'd like to try it again to be sure. Until then I'll say the sauce was intense in a good way. Overall it has a bistro esq vibe that is favoured by it's location and the outdoor heating that was being enjoyed by some hardy Glesga folk. Bearing in mind the 100mph winds were only hours away! Perhaps a little pricey but congruous with current trends. I will be back.. even just to try the crepe again. P.S. we were seated at the bar and as the waitress sprayed disinfectant to clean, we were sprayed too!

I booked in here for a dinner for two as we had a voucher. The service was good, the atmosphere was nice. Overall though I have to say the food is just not French. I have eaten in loads of places around Europe as many will know who follow me . This place is just slightly disappointing for the price and the fact it seems to market itself as French cuisine. I would have to say for the price, just try harder please chef!

Best crepe I’ve had in town - perfect texture and flavor! I was craving steak frites, but they were out of steak that day, which was a letdown. Service was a bit slow, but it came with a smile and made the wait feel worth it. Cozy bistro vibes—definitely a place to linger, not rush.

Had a lovely breakfast in here. A wonderful stack topped with egg...an absolute treat. We both went for the croque madam. Place was busy and buzzing. We had to book in advance. Great service. Not the cheapest but worth it!

Cute little cafe with extremely attentive and friendly staff. We came for lunch and had a great time. Got the shakshouka which was delicious and very fresh and the tagine which looked amazing. The crockery is very unique and cute. Very reasonably priced. Looked to be a nice selection of cakes too. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Lovely place for breakfast/brunch. Food was served quickly and tasted great, service was friendly and the decor & vibe was welcoming and comfortable. I wasn’t served by the older gentleman (perhaps the owner?) but overhearing his interactions with the adjacent tables amused me a lot, not to take away from the service of the waiter who I dealt with personally. So glad to have randomly found this little gem! Small menu compared to some other cafes but they all sounded amazing. I had the vegan french toast which I've not seen offered anywhere else and the portion sizes are great. The coffee too was lovely and I'd happily be back even for a take away coffee and one of the amazing vegan cakes!

Paid almost £16 for two savoury pastries and one sweet tart, and unfortunately everything was disappointing. The pastries were dry and tasted old, the filling was literally crumbling out of the pocket. The pistachio tart didn’t taste like pistachios at all and was far too sweet for my taste. The service was really lovely though, and I might give it another chance to try the hot food but it won’t be any time soon.

Loved my experience at Tapa organic Amazing cappuccino with organic milk you can really tell they care about quality my cappuccino was smooth rich, creamy, full of flavour and everything’s crafted with care. Clean space and the friendliest owner. A real gem! Cozy atmosphere, calming vibe and free wifi highly recommend if you're in the area stopping by friendly staff, and great coffee what more could you ask for? Definitely coming back!

visited with my mum for the first time today and woah! we got an oat flat white and oat cappuccino and we both agreed that these are the best oat coffees we've had in a cafe. the highlight for us was a vegan cinnamon bun that we split and we both loved it so much! big fan of a sweet treat but struggle to find ones we can eat, we couldn't fault this. also got a loaf of sourdough to take home which is great. so amazed to find a place with a variety of vegan options! the atmosphere was so welcoming and cosy, and the guy serving us was so friendly and fun! can't believe we haven't been here yet despite living in the area for years, but we will be coming back again very soon for sure! :)

The brunch is really tasty!! Really impressed with this. Absolutely not style over substance for the brunch dishes we tried! We got an eggs benny, smoked salmon & a Reuben croissant (heated) & everything was YUM!

Honestly a little overpriced for the quantity of food, it’s fresh and the ingredients are wholesome, but better for a pit stop than a sit down. The aesthetic is super cute and there are a variety of drink options too, but cuter to look at than eat in.

Staff are welcoming and polite. We tried the brunch menu which was really nice, but if you are more than peckish, go for 3 dishes each minimum. I would definitely go again and its one of the better brunch places in Glasgow. The delay between drinks and food was a little longer than I would like and the automatically applied optional 10% service charge is out of the norm.

This place is super pretty!! Renowned for its Parisian hot chocolate and cakes although we went there to try the recently introduced evening menu and really liked it. They have a selection of lovely and light dishes and other more substantial ones like flatbreads. Great for sharing some tasty food, beautifully plated! We really enjoyed the serrano with grilled peach ham, and the orzo pasta salad was delicious! They don't serve alcohol at the moment, not sure if this will change.

I've been to Valaria several times now and have had nothing but good experiences. Food is always lovely, the pastries are always impressive. The staff is always friendly and attentive. It seems to me most of the negative reviews are stingy people grumpy about fhe service charge (which I feel is completely normal for Byres Road) Every time I have been to Valaria it has been worth every pound. P.S. Be sure to get the Parisian hot chocolate its amazing!

Such a beautiful bakery! We ordered lattes and snacks for takeaway and everything was excellent. I had the focaccia and salami sandwich and I’m still thinking about it almost two weeks later. The pastries were incredible.

Valaria is a nice, friendly local hangout and a good place for brunch, hot chocolate and baked goods (great gluten-free, vegan chocolate brownie, which is no small feat..). Decor is very cute too. The pricing is slightly on the expensive side though for the portions (a bit small) and quality of foods (decent, but nothing amazing either), and when in peak hours, service can be a little too slow and evasive, despite the staff’s kindness. The automatic 10% tip on your bill is also a bit surprising.

Went to this place yesterday morning with a friend and it was FABULOUS! You could order up at the counter or take a seat at a table and order from there. I got the mango bubble tea which was really good and tasty. I also got the black forest pancakes which was also really good! The pancakes themselves were very fluffy and perfect to eat. I recommend coming here to eat breakfast or just hang out!

Lovely place, got it recommended by a friend and I was so happy I got to visit it during my trip to Glasgow. Great little place with lots of cozy vibes and friendly staff. We got the caramelised pancakes and black forest pancakes, which were absolute delicious goodness. For drinks we had bubble tea and it was great as well. I recommend the pistachio milk tea, its pairs really well with the pancakes. Would love to visit again❤️ Note: The place only accepted cash(dont know if thats the issual or just a one off thing), so keep that in mind. There are ATMs nearby, so it's hardly an inconvenience.

I had brunch with a friend here today and it was awesome. I had the pistachio souflle which was just lovely and the milk chocolate hot drink. The staff was friendly and wait times wasn’t bad. It’s very easy to find once you come out of the subway at Hillhead and I was told there’s another branch at the south side. Ian attended to us and he was very lovely. Do note that they only take cash.

Amazing Japanese style suffle pancakes and bubble tea! Some things to note: there might not be seating around lunchtime - particularly if you are a party of more than two. At the time of this review this restaurant is CASH ONLY. You go to the counter to pay when finished. If you're not familiar to this style of pancake you might want to be aware they can taste rather eggy.

Really nice little cafe in Glasgow. The best soufflé pancakes I’ve had (and I’ve had them in Japan too). Nice service and welcoming environment too.

This is a cash only location! But so worth it. The pancakes are soft, airy and fluffy like marshmallows. The coffee was also really delicious!

Absolutely amazing! We took a day trip to Glasgow with Koko House in mind and it was even better than we imagined! The Souffles were delicious light and fluffy, the Crepe amazing (and massive!) and the Peach Bubble tea was absolutely delicious too! Would absolutely recommend a visit. The staff were lovely and they totally deserve a five star recommendation too!

Very inviting place with a casual and comfortable, down to Earth(😏) atmosphere. There are lots of options on the menu; happening options that are better than the typical stuff that you'll find in most other places. I would like to give a higher score for the food, but I was unable to try any of the main options due to allergies. The staff were kind and welcoming; especially when accommodating my awkward medical/allergy needs (I felt bad for being a bother, but they were very nice about it). The waiter (Kevin?) was a one person army taking care of the steady flow of business, the kitchen staff were also working away hard (none of the kitchen staff were wearing hats which I thought was required in professional kitchens). Kitchen staff were competent and pleasant; seemed to really know their stuff👍 Coffee seemed a little weak (guess I'm just used to deeper flavours). I felt great after being here; the smoothie I had along with the staff's welcoming attitude must have done me good😊

What a great place! Went in with a killer hangover and came out feeling a million times better. Went for the brisket toastie and an acai bowl. Both were delicious and so fresh. The staff working that morning were attentive and friendly. The place has a great atmosphere with some funky artwork. Will definitely be back.

We were just passing through Glasgow on a roadtrip and stopped to stretch our legs and have some lunch and we saw great reviews for Down to Earth so we decided to try it out. The first impression is that this place is SMALL. There are not a lot of seating options, but thankfully we were able to get a table. Their were only two waitstaff, which was more than enough for this little place, but they were both very attentive, welcoming, and helpful. We tried their shakes, and all had different meal orders. There were plenty of options for visitors on all kinds of diets. None of us were disappointed. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was fun, well decorated, and quirky. This place definitely has it's own flair. We were very pleased with our visit! We even received directions to a nearby Ice Cream shop after our meal and were super happy for the recommendation as well!

Must go in Glasgow! Nicki and Donna are a delight! The menu has so many options. The food is delicious and the service is even better. I had the chicken peri peri bowl, it’s a nice portion and the flavors were amazing! My friend and I shared the brisket fries, these are delight. Brisket is very flavorful. For my vegetarian- we also tried roastie toast it was delightful onion jam treat! I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. This is a must if your in this neighborhood!

We went on a sunny day. The food, ambience and the vibe was great. The music was a bit loud. The buddha bowl is a must try, if you like to add a lot of veggies to your meal. It's definitely worth visiting multiple times.

What a fantastic cafe. The menu here is varied and offers a good selection of classics and more unique dishes, with loads of veggie options. The baking is also incredible. Id really recommend the veggie bap!

Won’t be controversial to say one of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to in Glasgow. The lineup: BLAT (bacon lettuce avocado tomato) Meatball Bap Lorne, egg and black pudding roll Jeeeeeeessssss Louise this was good. My sandwich (the blat) was made with incredible sourdough, with just the perfect amount of crisp around the edges and super soft in the middle, could’ve eaten that all day without cutting a single bit of my mouth. The other two, I was told, were placed on some fantastic rolls, with almost milk bread like texture, almost made me jealous. The meatballs were packed full of herby juicy deliciousness, and the square sausage was gone before I could even try a taste. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and helpful as well. My friend spilled his drink but they took the extra steps to not only help clean up the spill but also got him a free refill. Going that little bit out of the way really makes the experience special, so thank you! Seems like a lovely wee community that goes there and with it being slap bang on anniesland cross it’s still fairly handy to get to! I’ll definitely be back for some bread, a pie and maybe another cup of delicious tea! Also if you are looking to preorder their sourdough the best way to do it is to follow their facebook page, and when they release their menus on Wednesday, pop a comment on the post with your name and day you want to get it with minimum 24hrs notice!!! I’ve revisited just to try the pastries, which is yet another great recommendation from me. The danishes they make change toppings regularly, and the one pictured was essentially a Black Forest gateau on a danish. Excellent! Cheers to another great Glasgow business :)

Really lovely to meet the owners Catriona and Justin today who kindly welcomed us back and apologised for wait times we had the weekend before. Everything was spot on from the service to the food. We had poached eggs and bacon on homemade sourdough, a huge cheese twist and the spinach no sausage roll (all amazing). The dogs enjoyed a dog sausage each. We look forward to our next visit.

Very delicious, fresh food. Highly recommend the BLAT and the homemade omelette bap. The pastries are also really great, we tried the pain au Chocolat. Friendly and fast service! Good coffee too.

The service was lovely, and the Danish really exceeded my expectations. Not too sweet, and the flavour had such nice layers. Will definitely be back!

I'm very tempted not to write this because the more people that know about this place, the less there is for me! Their pastries are absolutely sensational. Don't walk, run, buy one of everything! They're marvellous, worth every calorie.

Came for dinner a couple weeks ago. We were one of two tables on a Monday night. Bar staff were lovely and welcoming. However the waitress was quite brusque and cold, especially for there only being two tables. We got the croquettes, veggie tacos and the stew. The croquettes were delicious, stew was really nice and the tacos were good, but not very impressive for the high price point as they are quite small. Cocktails were very good. Really nicely decorated interior.

An underrated gem that's perfectly located in the city centre. Visited on a quiet lunchtime and had a fantastic meal at an equally fantastic price. Opted for the three beef tacos at £7.50 and they were absolutely flawless - perfect amount of filling, tortillas were soft, toppings were all delicious and the beef itself was superb. Service was friendly and quick, drinks were great, and total bill was only £18. Really hope it does well as it's a really welcome addition to the town.

I had a mixed experience at Bizarron Mexican in Glasgow. For starters, I ordered the pulled pork empanadas, but they were quite disappointing. The pastry wasn’t as flaky as expected and had a dense, almost soggy texture, as if it had been frozen and reheated or deep-fried, it was hard to tell. This really impacted the flavor, making the whole dish underwhelming. The pulled pork birria tacos, on the other hand, were excellent. The meat was tender and full of flavor, with just the right amount of cheese. The dipping sauce complemented them perfectly, making for a really enjoyable dish. To drink, I had a Tommy’s Margarita, which had a nice zesty taste—not too strong but well-balanced and refreshing. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was very quiet on a weeknight, but I imagine it has a livelier atmosphere on weekends while still keeping a relaxed vibe. Overall, a mix of highs and lows—the birria tacos and margarita were great, but the empanadas didn’t live up to expectations.

A very pleasant venue in the city center. A big plus for the decor—this is probably what good clubs in Cuba looked like in the 1950s. Service was quick and friendly. The food was tasty; we had wings, tacos and churrasco, but the portions weren't impressive. We were particularly disappointed with the churrasco—two small cubes of meat on a skewer? We don't recommend this dish.

What a great find. It's tucked in and easy to miss, opposite the Voco Grand Central Hotel, where we were staying on holiday. Staff are delightful. We had pork belly which was delicious with interesting, tasy sides and chips. Generous portions, very reasonably priced. A very memorable meal, highly recommended.

food was okay was not warmest but services was really slow even though we pre ordered. some of our party waited almost an hour to be served. I personally wouldn't return. which is a shame as food looks good on other pictures.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday and had the lunch menu. Portions were generous, price was great, and the food was fantastic. Our server Rachel was brilliant and took great care of us and had good chat. Was pretty quiet when we went but imagine it really picks up later and at the weekends. A very underrated gem that I wish I had known about sooner! Can't wait to go back

It's still the best in Glasgow. I picked up a tiger bread and a malted loaf after an impromptu visit.It is always best to order your bread in advance but sometimes you'll get lucky. There are usually a variety of cakes and treats available after the bread is gone. Be prepared to queue as it gets busy around 10.00am. The staff are friendly and very helpful.Young James is the anchor now and his calm demeanor and professional efficiency creates a comfortable vibe for staff and patrons alike. Rather than show you the bread (I forgot), I took a picture of what I did with it. Avocado and (eggs also available to buy), with hot sauce on toasted Tiger bread.. there may be a James Martin portion of Artisan butter carefully concealed beneath the toppings.. I would highly recommend a visit but be careful it's highly addictive.. especially the brownies..but in a good way obviously

Over a month ago I ordered gluten free scones and allergy free cupcakes (extensive allergenies including, dairy, soya, nuts and wheat). These are for my daughters wedding on Islay on 27th September. As my guest has such allergies it was fabulous to find somewhere to make her cupcakes (asshe can't eat the wedding cake or afternoon tea on arrival at the reception). However, I have just collected my order and was told that the cupcakes had soya in them so they were not allergen free. The girl serving said my requirements had not been passed to the kitchen! Although it was clearly displayed on the order. She did suggest a nice bit of allergy free. However as opposed to removing the soya filled cakes off my bill, she also added on the cost of the ginger cake! 0 out of 10 for customer service. And 0 out of 10 for giving me cakes that my guest can't eat and could have had very bad consequences. Very disappointed and not happy.

I’ve tried the brownies, doughnuts, cupcakes, muffins, and cookies (mostly chocolate flavours) — all absolutely delicious! I’d really love to try the pizza and focaccia too, but they’re only available on Saturdays and I usually work weekends. The bakery’s a bit far from me, but I truly hope you open a branch in northwest Glasgow or start supplying local cafés there — it would be amazing to have your treats closer!

Everything is gluten free & delicious, lots of VG options. Menu changes often so (most of the time) you can try something new. Staff are all great. My past two birthday cakes came from WF. I go here a lot lol.

I have been trying to find a decent gluten free cake for ages, and not only did I get the best slice of cake I have ever had, but even got some brownies & cookies for other snacks. Even better, I was able to get a loaf of bread for my sandwiches which doesn’t disintegrate the moment I put it in the toaster or fall apart when I’m eating it. All their labels are clear on other ingredients you might have an allergy for if you have any concerns there. And their service is lovely, the girl I spoke with today was so nice, and recommended the best type of bread they had for what I needed & kindly let me know of some deals they had so I definitely bought my fill of sweet treats. So if you’re looking for a fully gluten free bakery, with prices that don’t break the bank, lovely service & clear allergen listings, I would highly recommend making the trip.

Tiny little bakery tucked into the southside of Glasgow. I was diagnosed in February as coeliac and thought my cookie and cake days were over. Went to see what all the fuss was about and my god I was blown away. Lovely staff, fresh baked goods and all Gloriously gluten free! The cookie sandwiches (especially the kinder ones) are to DIE for :-) Little gem of a bakery!

One of my favourite places to get a weekend treat. I used to live in the opposite end of the city and would get 2 trains each way to visit most weeks. Exceptional bakery — really unlike any other vegan pastries I’ve had before (and I’ve been vegan for a long time). Consistent quality over the years I’ve been visiting. It’s a pleasure to support a business with values that align with my own, which is something that feels increasingly more important.

Pretty much one of my favourite bakeries in Glasgow, I have to stop there every time I visit. The service is on point and the pastries is just so delicious, not disappointing at all 🫶🏽 so much love to the owners and most importantly for supporting good causes beside the pastries.

Really lovely plant based bakes in the southside of the city, you can get both sweet and savoury treats that taste incredible. Staff are always welcoming and happy to be there serving up great coffee and conversation. I had to go dairy free while breastfeeding and I always look forward to our weekend visit! I can’t recommend Akara Bakery enough! I ordered a pressed flower red velvet cake for my husband’s birthday, and it was absolutely stunning; one of the best we’ve ever had, perfectly balanced and delicious. What truly made the whole experience unforgettable was the kindness of the staff. Since I was visiting Glasgow and could only pick it up on a Monday (their day off), they went out of their way to open the bakery just for us. That was so thoughtful of them and it truly made our day! Beautiful cake, amazing service—thank you, Akara! Can’t wait to visit again.

My husband and I eloped in December and got a 4” red velvet heart cake for our wedding day and it was perfect! We picked it up early the morning of our wedding and it was the BEST red velvet cake we’ve ever tasted. We often pop in to get red velvet rounds when we are feeling nostalgic. Absolutely amazing experience. As you can see from the third picture, we kept the cake in the fridge and ate the rest the following day! Highly recommend!

Very pretty cafe with a nice atmosphere and lovely staff. I love the interior, they have the prettiest origami birds hanging from the ceiling! The cakes looked delicious, and my friend loved the iced honey and lavender latte special. I'll also recommend the rose, lavender and pistachio cake, very light and delicious.

So glad I chose Akara bakery for cheesecakes for a birthday gift. They were so beautiful and tasted as stunning as they look! Will definitely order again.

Sent photo of a traffic cone orange birthday cake for my partners 40th inspiration. When I arrived to collect I was shocked to see a pinky / red cake. The writing was also the same colour as the cake and could not be seen. They rectified this and iced over the original writing which helped but it made it difficult to read. One member of staff told me it was more ‘brick red’ when I was upset at how it looked and saying it was pink, another member of staff told me it was ‘coral’ later telling me that ‘coral is technically a shade of orange’ I understand things will never be exactly as you send but a coral / brick red cake is very different to a traffic cone orange cake and being told that ‘sometimes you don’t get the desired colour when mixing food dye’ was simply unacceptable to me: The staff then told me they knew how the issue had happened as the shop tablet screen was ‘much darker’ and again the staff agreed that it was not my fault the original picture was not traffic cone orange when it had been sent over to their tablet (display issue setting their end) I contacted the owner who was not there and did not see the cake, and sent her a photo to only be told the cake is orange. Again, her own staff twice told me they thought it was ‘brick red’ and ‘coral’ in addition to this even my friends who were attempting to make me feel better agreed they couldn’t even say it’s ’not that bad’ as it was very clearly pink! Too much red was used when mixing the colour and no attention paid to what I had asked - the ‘drip’ was none existent as it was an exact colour match to the pink buttercream when the photo i sent used 2 VERY different shades of orange. There might aswell not be a drip, you couldn’t see it. She told me I had asked them to put thier own stamp on, I had not, I had asked for input on the size and the height - said they were the expert to advise on this matter and said if they have any ideas I’m happy to collaborate and see what they think. My ONLY specification was the cake was to be orange I had mentioned orange multiple times in email and the photo was bright orange cake with lighter orange drip. Extremely disappointed to have spent £130 on this cake and even a token gesture £10 off would have gone a long way, but the owner doubled down and passed on via her staff that ‘alot of time had been spent on the cake’ - not my issue!! This picture attached actually makes it look more orange than it does in real life and even then you can see it’s not traffic cone orange it’s most definitely on the pink / red side of things! The cake tastes great but it completely put a dampener on the day as I didn’t really want to give him this pink cake and be £130 worse off for it As mentioned I have spoken to the owner via email and would not have left this review had she been forthcoming, instead telling me as the owner of the store she is TELLING me it is orange!!! Yet everyone who saw the cake, her own staff included very much agreed on any colour apart from orange.

I ordered my gorgeous birthday cake from Akara. Very easy to do through the website with loads of vegan options! They customised it how I asked and even sent me update photos through email to check i was happy with it! Even my non vegan party guests enjoyed the cake!

I just want to start by saying that I’ve had akara cakes before and they’ve always been lovely, so I think this might have just been an off batch. For my mum’s 50th birthday, we ordered the Victoria sponge heart cake. It looked absolutely beautiful, and the decoration was perfect. However, I was really disappointed when we cut into it, as the sponge itself was extremely dry, to the point that it was difficult to eat. The buttercream and jam were delicious, but the sponge was unfortunately so dry that it really spoiled the experience. I honestly don’t like to complain, but this was such a waste of £53 I was quite gutted to be completely honest. I've ordered birthday cakes for years from different bakers and never had a dry cake until now. I found myself wishing I’d just gone to Costco instead :(

Always a great time here, even when it's chilly out there is warmth inside. Warm plum cider was excellent, good food and atmosphere. Live music, good tunes, supporting social enterprise and all done wirh free parking and very dog friendly. Well worth a visit if you haven't been! If you have, you must go back!!

Free parking but you have to pay 2 pound entry. Good number of good vendors - a vibrant place for a nice lunch and a beer! We had food from Duck Street FOOD and it was delicious. There's a few arcade machines to make it all better!!

Expensive for very low quality food. Charged for entry. Low effort food, bizzare combinations of low quality ingredients cooked badly. Even the plain hotdog was ruined by being served cold, on stale bread with a stingy amount of the cheapest pre-grated cheese. The hummus and helium was £8 the flat bread was cooked to a crisp, and it came with a bizzare selection of low quality straight out-of-the jar pickles. Like someone made Lebanese food based only on a description from a five year old child who thenselves had only seen drawings of it in a picture book. Drawn in crayon. By a dyslexic cat. Maybe some of the stands sell something worth eating but I couldn't tell which.

Great selection of food and drink, many cuisines available with small or large sized options. Gluten free and vege options. Beer (West brewery) Wine & Gin stands, coffee/hot chocolate too. No cash point and cards not accepted so take cash! In a huge warehouse so freezing cold during winter - wrap up warm. Heaters dotted about in central seating area a nice touch. Anything from Shrimp Wreck 10/10 & must try mac n cheese toasty with bacon jam!

Just want to say a huge, huge THANK YOU to Rosewood Cakes for our absolutely gorgeous wedding cake on Saturday (26th July) – it was so beautiful and everyone was so complimentary of it. Edwina was fabulous to work with and was so open and accommodating to match the style of pressed flower cake I was wanting. But even more, all our guests LOVED eating the cake!! It was so delicious (we knew that already after the trial), and so many people said it was the best wedding cake they’ve had. It was really important to us to have a cake which tasted just as good as it looked - and Rosewood Cakes absolutely does this. We went for a 3 tier semi-naked cake with sticky toffee, lemon and blueberry, and chocolate fudge as our flavours and all were delicious. Edwina also was great at coordinating with the venue so everything went smoothly. We would absolutely recommend Rosewood Cakes to anyone and everyone looking!

We chose Rosewood Cakes to supply our wedding cake last month and we can't recommend them enough! Edwina was very helpful during the planning process and the cake was beautiful and delicious, exactly what we wanted! We opted for a 3 tier semi naked cake to match the rustic vibe of our barn venue, and we were not disappointed one bit. Hazelnut and coffee, lime and coconut and classic Victoria sponge were our flavours and we loved them all :)

I cannot recommend rosewood cakes or Edwina highly enough. She helped us out last minute when our original baker cancelled on us. She was so professional arranging meetings quickly, sending out samples and emailing back promptly. The cake looked exactly how we hoped it would and tasted amazing. It was the most cake I’ve ever seen eaten at a wedding.

We reached out to Rosewood Cakes as a potential supplier for our wedding cake. We didn’t live locally but that didn’t matter as they posted us some cake samples. We were blown away by the sticky toffee, vanilla raspberry and lemon blueberry flavours. Edwina was very helpful throughout the process; having a video chat with us to talk through options, giving us ideas for the design, sourcing particular decorations for the cake and delivering the cake to the venue. All our wedding guests said to us how nice the cake was and it looked awesome as well! I’d definitely recommend going with Rosewood Cakes for your special day.

We popped in here before an appointment nearby and were really impressed. Two coffees and cakes for just over £14 and all were great. Really well made coffees and we got the feeling that the barista took pride in what he was doing, which was reflected in the drinks. The cakes were great also and neither of us felt cheated by what we'd bought. My only observation was there isn't a lot of seating and the rear seating area is a bit beige and uneventful. I know we're there to drink coffee but a wee bit of character would be nice. Overall, a great coffee but the surroundings could be better.

A great place to get great coffee after recycling your glass. Always trying to give me free pastry, which is never a bad thing 😋. Chilled atmosphere and a welcome change from the corporate chains in the center. Nice design on their coffee range.

I came into the cafe in the morning as i liked the coffee thats served here. But this morning i have noticed that the blonde barista was ignoring the customers to watch videos on her phone at full volume which spoils the experience. As well as that she seems to be neglecting any work forcing the coworkers so pick up the slack. Despite all that the other three people that work there are amazing at what they do.

Nice little cafe. Didn’t have any pastries or sweets but they all looked delicious. My tea was great, but I wish they didn’t use a paper cup for the milk. Great location right next to Queen’s Park!

Best pastel de nata I’ve ever had! The pastry is flakey and the custard is light and creamy- not too sweet. Perfection. Got the classic, excited to come back to try the others. Quick service too, in and out in less than 5 min.

Ashamedly, the pastel wasn’t the best. The inside didn’t have a ‘bite’ to it and felt texturally off, besides the lacking the quintessential flavours that should come through. However, the Iberian spot is a great place to pick up unique items that you couldn’t find elsewhere.

I finally tried this spot after hearing so many friends rave about it - and I completely get the hype! I’ll be raving about it just as loudly. Their pastel de natas are an elevated take on the classic - beautifully flaky and perfectly sweet. The Bramley Apple is a personal favourite, and I can already tell I’ll be coming back here often.

Really nice to be able to try various flavours of the traditional custard tart. We had a classic custard and a wild Scottish blueberry. £2.10 per nata which feels reasonable enough. They were also warm and arriving freshly baked which was delicious.

Portuguese born and bred guy here. You will not find a better Pasteis than here, not even in Lisbon or any other place I've been in the world. These are a level on their own. Had a wee chat with Glasgow baker, and he is passionate about his craft and cares deeply. Espresso was 1st rate. They promised me to put a Portuguese flag up soon 😁

The pastries here are amazingly good. The crest is just the right amount of crustiness and chewiness. The feelings are just right, not too sweet. It’s a little bit pricey, but totally worth it.

The pastel de natas are absolutely delicious. We tried the classic, the bramley apple and the raspberry & white chocolate and all 3 were perfect. You could see them being made and being brought straight to the counter when they were fresh out of the oven. The coffee was also excellent and the staff were lovely. Perfect wee place

⭐ 1 STAR - ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. AVOID for Wedding Cakes! ​I attended my friends' wedding this past weekend and was completely disgusted by the cake supplied by Special Day Cakes. The lack of care and professionalism was shocking, especially for such an important occasion. ​Upon cutting and serving, we discovered baking paper still embedded inside the top tier layer of the wedding cake. Not just a small piece, but sections of paper that had clearly not been removed before the layers were stacked and finished with frosting. This is an egregious error that shows a total failure of quality control and an obvious rush job. ​For a company that touts itself as "reputable" and claims to provide "Scotland's Finest Wedding & Celebration Cakes," this is frankly an insult to their craft. Finding inedible paper in the cake on my friends' biggest day is unacceptable and completely ruined what should have been a perfect moment. It suggests they threw the layers together and ignored a fundamental, basic step in the baking process. ​It is disheartening to see the biggest celebratory item at a wedding treated with such carelessness. My friends paid a premium price expecting premium quality, and what they received was a flawed product that was rushed and ignored. ​If you are planning a wedding, I strongly urge you to avoid Special Day Cakes. The fact that this product was allowed to leave their kitchen in this condition is all you need to know about their current standards. ​Please avoid. This was absolutely disgraceful.

Sorry it’s taken me a while to leave this review. Special Day Cakes made our wedding cake in June and I was so impressed with the choice, service and experience. Our wedding cake was so beautiful I absolutely loved it both in terms of how it looked but also how it tasted. Toffee, lemon and red velvet layers were all fabulous and tasted every bit as good as it looked. Have a big birthday coming up later the year and hoping to get another special cake!! We used this cake company as part of our wedding package and were disappointed from the get go. Customer service was poor with remarks being made about me ‘knowing what I want’ and felt like they weren’t listening to what I wanted. Fast forward to our wedding day, the cake arrives dripping wet, huge gapes between layers, frayed bow, pearls pushed into the cake as well in even edges and icing. Not only this but the cake topper which I had paid for and dropped off 4 weeks prior to the wedding was no where to be seen. I was truly gutted as the cake had been my biggest worry from the get go. This company have taken no accountability for the mess of the cake and instead are blaming the venue. They sent me a picture they had taken of the cake when it arrived…funnily enough it was taken from an angle and far enough away that imperfections could not be seen. Luckily my bridesmaids saw the cake arriving and took pictures immediately. The person I spoke to regarding all of these problems was rude, dismissive and quite frankly couldn’t care less. I spent money on this additional to wedding package to ensure the tall tier look. I have been offered a refund for the cake topper they lost and a grudged ‘sorry the cake wasn’t to your standard.’ For the price I paid I don’t think this cake would be to anyone’s standard. Shocking -would not recommend.

Avoid at all costs – utterly unacceptable experience. I paid £450 for my wedding cake and the entire top tier had been made with greaseproof paper running through it. This meant it was almost impossible to cut on the day, the icing peeled away in one layer, and it was completely inedible. As a result, we didn’t have enough cake to serve our guests. The venue even told us to take it home, photograph it as evidence, and then we threw it in the bin. Imagine spending that amount of money on a wedding cake only for it to end up in the bin. When I raised this with the company and sent the videos and photos, I was offered a replacement top tier – which is of no use whatsoever after the wedding has already taken place. Since then, there has been no apology, no offer of compensation, nothing at all. I have worked in the wedding industry for over eight years and have regularly recommended this supplier to my own clients, so I am appalled at the way I have been treated. If this is how they respond to someone they know and have worked alongside, I dread to think how they treat members of the public. I will also be attaching photographs of the cake and a screenshot of their email admitting fault (with the sender’s name redacted for fairness). Truly disgraceful service.

🚩🚩AVOID AT ALL COSTS! 🚩🚩 Unfortunately can’t recommend this company after what happened at my friend’s recent wedding. The entire top tier of their cake was still covered in parchment paper which had been iced over, making it completely undetectable until the cake-cutting moment in front of all their guests. The couple couldn’t even cut into it. Not only did this render the top tier completely inedible, but it also meant there wasn’t enough cake to go around. At a wedding, that isn’t just disappointing, it’s unacceptable. As someone who also bakes and is currently training to teach baking professionally, I find it extremely difficult to believe this was an honest mistake. You have to see and handle the surface when applying icing. HOW WAS THIS MISSED !?! To make matters worse, the only solution offered was a replacement tier after the wedding which completely defeats the point. Since then, the bakery has gone silent. No apology, no refund, and no accountability. Even more concerning, the company has now publicly accused the couple on social media of staging the video to try and get their money back. That kind of response is not only unprofessional. IT’S DISGRACEFUL!. The only thing they’ve been offered is a replacement AFTER THEIR WEDDING which is pointless as their big day is over! This wasn’t just a minor hiccup. It was a significant failure on one of the most important days of someone’s life and the company’s response has only made it worse.

Special Days did our cake for our recent wedding at Cornhill Castle. It was perfect and exactly what we asked for - looked beautiful but also tasted great. The whole process was also really easy, with nothing too much trouble - they even included a wee figure of our dog to make it look like he’d eaten a piece! Would highly recommend.

Seating is quite basic and functional but always kept immaculately clean. Coffee is excellent and selection of cakes is good. Selection of focaccias is impressive. Pity no bacon rolls or toast for breakfast though. Staff are brilliant - always smiling, very helpful and very efficient. Turnover of staff appears to be low suggesting they enjoy working there. It’s good to know that my money is supporting a local business rather than a large multinational.

Great local institution. Great coffee , home made cakes and slices. While their focaccia are loaded with tasty fillings, I'm a sucker for their pizza. Delicious hot or cold. Lovely service and totally worth seeking out.

I had my husband’s 40th birthday dinner at Partenope and the event was perfect in every way. Sara was so helpful and responsive during the planning phase and the night went perfectly. The food was exceptional and all our guests said how gorgeous a venue Partenope was. Would highly highly recommend and would definitely book again if planning another dinner party.

What a splendid little place to enjoy a coffee. I Always seem to passby and it's closed, perhaps that's more my timing than theirs. Impeccable service, lovely coffee and in the mid afternoon sun a great place to sit out and watch the back streets of Shawlands drift by. Sandwichs look great, a mixed affair of meaty or cheesy foccatias, plenty of lovely looking cakes and pastries. For those of the 'not wanting to sit in' school there's a wee window for street side service. Sadly dogs aren't allowed inside. I will visit again.

Lovely little Italian cafe in the southside that does great coffee, filled focaccias and cakes. Also looks like a lovely spot to rent out for a private event!

Lovely light, airy coffee shop specialising in Italian bakery. Changing menu with different focaccia, cakes, bread, sweets and savoury items. Friendly people working there and being away from the hustle of the high street meant you could stay a while looking out of the big windows.

Service was objectively poor. No drinks menu offered, no after service, couldn't find server, basically abandoned and ignored after food dropped off. Had to basically walk out the restaurant before they had the bill prepared. Poor service bordering on discriminatory. Restaurant was not even busy. Food was less than mediocre given the price and reputation. Underseasoned and underwhelmed. Could not recommend.

Food was excellent and was served promptly and the servers were polite and friendly. However the table service from the young waiter was poor. We were given different menus between us. When we asked, no apology or explanation, just swapped. Website gave no indication that the regular a la carte or fixed price menu were unavailable. Instead we had a small "festival" menu and was told "thats all we offer" so there were limited options. We never got given a drinks menu, and when I asked, the waiter rattled them off so quick we had to ask him to repeat. No alcohol-free beer. Had to ask for jug of water. No apology.. just "we're busy". Almost felt like "if you don't like it go somewhere else cos I don't care". Attitude was pretty dismal. Not rude, but very lacking in niceties, and as if he didn't really care. Although the food was great, I felt as if I was not really welcomed and, as such, I would not recommend and would take my business elsewhere. Only things going for it is that there was a nice comfortable and relaxing bar area outside by the river, which thr staff were great at clearing up, and it was convenient for going to the OVO or SEC. I also found it odd that the ground floor restrooms had no soap dispensers. Instead it was hand lotion!

Very pleasant, I had the club sandwich, which was not cheap, but it was very nice, and would have been a good snack for two.

I had a sore throat, and went down to find herbal tea, and although they had stopped serving hot beverages late at night the bartender stopped short of running to the grocery store to find a tea bag for me. I offered to pay for the tea bag or to buy something else like a drink to make up for it, they said not to worry - wished me a speedy recovery and sent me on my way. If all hotel restaurants had service like this, the world would be a better place!

Great place to sit out and have a drink if the weather's good but the food is under whelming.

We had Breakfast here after an overnight stay. Food was lovely and the choice was fantastic.

Nice welcoming place and quality of food was good, however for a veggie burger that was actually a bun with lettuce, tomato, mushroom and sauce the price was steep. I expected a veggie patte in the bun at that price. The nacho starter was tasty but the nachos a little charred. Brownie dessert was lovely except that the ice cream they served with it was crystally as it had clearly melted and re-frozen.

Excellent cozy decoration, tasteful brunchy food, great variety of cakes and if you are lucky enough you can listen to funny jokes by the cooker! A must visit place for sure!

The place looks cool and the cakes tasted good, but the furniture is really worn down (had to switch table so I wouldn’t end up with coffee spilled in my lap) plus the staff was super slow (the place wasn’t busy at all and they haven’t taken our order for good 20 mins), were not really helpful and at the end we waited at the counter for about 10-15 mins until they let us pay ... I don’t think I’ll be coming back 😐

Aesthetically pleasing with lovely staff, but... it was quite dark inside, and the hygiene issues are a big problem. We found the tablecloths sticky, and we had ants and fruit flies for company. We discovered that the pancakes were from a packet when we found a slice of plastic inside of one, and the fruit had been microwaved from frozen and didn't seem or smell fresh. This place has a lot of potential, so we'd love to see these issues cleared up!

Absolutely wonderful and delicious American style cakes, with the decadent layers of sponge and icing not easily found in the UK. So many cakes to choose from -- there were more than 10 options when I visited -- and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We got our wedding cake done here, with a black and very alternative design. We had been deciding over it for a while, and Liggy's were able to make the most beautiful cake I've ever seen, with non-stain and delicious icing, in great time, and I am still currently making my way through it at home. The presentation was stellar, the service was efficient, even though we missed an appointment, Bryony was so helpful and accommodating, and when it was rolled out at the wedding in its display I was blown away. We also got our wedding favours made at Liggy's and it was just about the most perfect quintessential Scottish tablet you could want. Cannot recommend them enough.

Liggy’s made our puffin-topped, hand-painted 3-tier wedding cake dreams come to life! The initial consultation and cake tasting was really helpful (and delicious) and the team were on hand via email to make any changes in design etc. in the run up to our big day. Would definitely recommend!

We hired Liggy's Cakes for our wedding back in August. We ordered online and whenever we had any questions or needed to get in contact they were always incredibly pleasant and quickly answered the phone or any emails we sent. We discussed them sending a particular flavour with the sample box in the middle of the week and they made sure it was sent out on the Friday that same week. All the sample flavours were fantastic and the wedding cake itself was absolutely spectacular in look and taste! We were so pleased to have leftovers so we could continue to have cake for the next few days after the wedding. Would definitely order another cake from them.

We ordered our wedding cake from Liggy's and it was 10/10. The consultations were friendly and they made sure the cake was exactly as we had envisioned. We had raspberry and coconut, orange and cardamon, and lemon and elderflower as the flavours. We froze some to eat on our 1st anniversary, and can't wait to taste it again!

I had Liggy’s prepare a birthday cake for my Mum’s 80th. I went for their Daisy Garden Buttercream Cake. The cake fitted the bill perfectly and everyone loved it - moist lemony sponge, and butter cream filling which wasn’t overly sweet. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.

We booked our wedding cake with Liggy’s Cakes in Bearsden after first meeting them at the wedding fayre at the SEC, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The cake tasting was such a lovely experience – it was so hard to choose because every flavour was delicious, but we eventually went with salted caramel and toffee, which turned out to be the perfect decision. On the day, the cake looked beautiful and tasted even better. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how good it was, and many went back for seconds! The whole process from start to finish was easy and enjoyable, and the team at Liggy’s were so helpful. We’d highly recommend Liggy’s Cakes to anyone looking for a stunning wedding cake that tastes every bit as amazing as it looks.

Been here a couple times now and safe to say the food is amazing and the service has always been fab, however can't give a 5 star review as messages to this business always go unanswered. Tried to contact them twice through Instagram and via email about reserving a table/if they were taking walk ins and also a third time to inform them I'd had an allergic reaction to a dish when I had dined there. Still never received any response to any message. Very disappointing.

There is nothing negative that could possibly be said about this place. I’ve had almost every dish on the menu and they are all absolutely superb. Coffee is also excellent. And it’s all so affordable I can actually come here twice a week. Staff have never been anything but the most pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Many COVID precautions in place. Seriously this place is astounding. I am shocked they’re not more busy but also I like that I can always get a table there so give them all of your business but leave room for me <3 (For real, this is the best restaurant for a casual bite in Glasgow and I stand by this.)

Stopped for a pint been meaning to come for ages! The service was amazing, so nice and warm and friendly. Ordered a couple of starters and they were incredible! The kale pakora is a revelation! We will definitely be regulars from now on.

I've been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have got amazing meals each time. I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, but their food is great, regardless. The KFC burger is a standout.

Went last Autumn between lockdowns, and we were all reasonably uninspired. The food was Ok, nothing special though. The service was below par, & unfriendly. Overall not much to talk about, wouldn't run to go back.

Had a lovely time the staff was nice and accommodating with requests. The decor of the restaurant was pretty nice and interesting. I quite love the pea gnocchi especially the sauce along with it was lovely.

The butterscotch bakery made my sons 8th birthday cake after I was let down by another baker, I am so glad we were let down as the cake was amazing. We were quite fussy with our requirements but the bakery fulfilled our expectations and more 😊 the baker made the most tastiest cake our family have tried in a long time. We were blown away with how fantastic the cake looked my son wanted “The eye of Cthulhu” made into a cake, the sponge was soft and moist, the buttercream was perfect. We picked our cake up the day before, the two girls who boxed our cake and served us were delightful. The shop was beautiful inside. We even purchased some Victoria sponge, a cupcake and some butterscotch cake to try that day. Highly recommend this bakers 5*

Literally the BEST cake I have ever tasted....and I'm a bakery hound, so I've tasted a lot of cake. Got two cakes (one chocolate, one vanilla) for a small family wedding outside of Glasgow. The guests fought over the few leftover slices...and we finished them off the next day! Absolutely fantastic!

Was badly let down by a baker for my boy’s 15th birthday. Cancelled at 4pm on Friday for party today. After frantically calling about, Butterscotch Bakery said they could help us. Now my kid is autistic, and very particular about his cake. It had to be chocolate sponge, with chocolate frosting. And they even were able to decorate with a football pitch. It was amazingly good. Everyone loved it, and very affordable. Highly recommended! Will definitely go here first next time I need a cake.

Nice, small business. The women there were extremely friendly and the cupcakes tasted really good despite being obviously expensive. The dining area is very posh and feels like being in an old tea room (but more child-friendly).

The Butterscotch Bakery supplied a beautiful Rennie Mackintosh cake for my Mother in Laws 85th birthday celebration two weeks ago - it was almost too beautiful to cut into (but we managed!) Tasted great too- a massive thanks to Katie and her team 🎂

A-Cakes made the most gorgeous, creative, celebration cake for me to serve at my sister-in-law’s baby shower. Ashleigh took my ideas and transformed them into something really unique, I was absolutely thrilled! Couldn’t recommend her more highly, she’s a lovely, friendly person to deal with and a real artist.

And there was so much left over that we got to indulge for days and days! She was also so flexible with us when we had to keep changing our wedding date due to Covid! Thanks again! I originally came across Ashleighs cakes when my cousin kindly ordered the most beautiful cake I've ever seen for my hen party back in 2016. Since then I have had cupcakes and birthday cakes from her and I genuinely haven't came across nicer, tastier fondant cakes. Professional, stylish, delicious cakes - a triple threat! I cannot recommend A-Cakes enough. Definitely contact her for your next cake order.
