Monuments & Statues
Independence Monument, a 20-meter tower located at the intersection of Norodom Blvd and Sihanouk Blvd, was unveiled in 1962 to commemorate Cambodia's independence from France. Shaped like a lotus flower, it is best viewed from the park to the west. Adjacent to it is the Norodom Sihanouk Memorial, housing a bronze statue of King Norodom Sihanouk.
The Independence Monument is an iconic landmark in Phnom Penh, symbolizing Cambodia’s freedom from colonial rule. The intricate design and stunning architecture make it a must-see, especially at night when it’s beautifully lit. The surrounding park offers a peaceful spot to relax, making it a great place to visit for both history and scenery.
Markéta J — Google review
There is a long strip leading up to the monument that is in the roundabout. It is a nice area to walk around, gets very busy at night with people walking around and kids roller blading. It’s amazing how many independent statues there are along south east Asia all commending there freedom from the French.
Sup_Lick — Google review
The Independence Monument in Phnom Penh is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Built in 1958 to celebrate Cambodia’s independence from French colonial rule, it stands tall and proud in the center of a busy roundabout — shaped like a lotus flower, inspired by Angkor Wat architecture. While you can’t go inside, it’s still worth stopping by — especially during the day when the area is calmer and traffic lighter. At night, it’s beautifully lit, but also more crowded. There’s a nice park area around it where locals relax, jog, or sit in the shade. A good photo spot, a piece of history, and a peaceful moment in the middle of Phnom Penh’s buzz.
JOKER'S — Google review
The Independence Monument is a tall, beautiful structure shaped like a lotus flower.I think this monument is truly special. Why visit it? It shows a big part of Cambodia's history and pride. It looks amazing to see, especially when it lights up brightly at night.
Ren T — Google review
Beautiful scenery and building at night! Went on a Sunday night, and there was only a man sleeping within the monument. It's really worth the view, but just be careful when crossing the road to the monument, especially some cars and tuk tuks may drive quite fast.

Wat Botum Park is home to the ancient Khmer Buddhist pagoda, Wat Botum, also known as the Temple of Lotus Blossoms. Built in the 15th century by King Ponhea Yat, this colorful temple showcases photogenic saffron-colored robes and houses important relics and paintings. The park adjacent to the temple offers a playground for kids and open grassy areas for exercise. Additionally, visitors can explore the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monument nearby.
In the park theres the Cambodia–Vietnam Friendship Monument, is a large concrete monument commemorating alliance between Vietnam and Cambodia. It features heroic statues of Vietnamese and Cambodian soldiers in the "Socialist realist" style, together with a woman and a baby representing Cambodian civilians.

Clean, large square. Public toilets available for a fee. Lots of fun going on in the evening. People dance and play games. The very bad air is very stressful, though.

Absolutely beautiful wat. Friendly people, even let me look inside a newly constructed pair of Pagodas that wasn't open to the public yet. In one of the temples, there is a wax figure or mummy of a monk...I am thoroughly unsure about if it is actually wax or a real human being. Went there 2 times and still wasn't sure. 🤣🙈

Wat Botum Park is an ideal destination for weekends or leisure time. The park offers ample space for walking, running, skating, biking, dancing, and various other activities. Additionally, there are vendors selling items at reasonable prices, providing an opportunity to make enjoyable purchases. Thanks for considering this recommendation!

Sacred & Religious Sites
Wat Phnom Daun Penh is a captivating Buddhist temple that stands as the tallest religious structure in Phnom Penh, with its origins dating back to 1373. This iconic site is steeped in legend, particularly the tale of a wealthy woman named Penh who discovered four bronze Buddha statues floating down the Mekong River. To honor these sacred relics, she constructed an artificial hill—Phnom—which ultimately gave the city its name.
Lovely temple / park that only costs $1 per person to enter. Highly recommend adding this temple to your things to do in Phnom Penh. The park also has a lovely cafe / souvenir shops inside - loads of lovely statues and wooden figurines.
Augustas J — Google review
The price is $1 for foreigners. The place is pleasant to walk around, you can get to the temple at the top. Many sculptures to admire! Can be done in less than 1 hour.
Yukima — Google review
A visit to Cambodia has to include thus amazing site - absolutely stunning, and my second visit. Some 19/20 years on there is little change - other than the amount of tourists !! Seeing the sunrise behind the temple is superb, but arriving at any time is just as good. Allow at least a couple of hours to walk round, climb the steps to look across the temple, meet local people etc there's toilets on site, local stalls, food etc. There are numerous other temples well worth visiting around here. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings with an amazing history.
Polly W — Google review
This is a Buddhist temple in the centre of Phnom Penh on top of a small hill. You can get great views of the city from here. Wat Phnom has a height of 46 meters. The pagoda is named after Lady Penh from the story of the discovery of the four Buddha statues and one Vishnu statue. There are a stupa, pagoda and temple at the site
CK C — Google review
Beautiful temple to visit while in Phnom Penh. The price of entry for foreigners is only $1 per person and definitely worth the price. The grounds are beautiful and not over crowded. Definitely recommend drinking plenty of water as there is a moderate hill to climb to get to the temple. Overall, one of the best attractions visited while in Phnom Penh.
Jake W — Google review
Sights of Relics that will have you amazed and the gift shop is very awesome too. The tour guide are great at what they do so if you need one,one will be provided to give a glimpse of history.
Dara K — Google review
It is worth a visit to Wat Phnom if you are in central Phnom Penh. It is the starting for all major highways in Cambodia as well as the legendary origin stories of our city. Even the name Phnom Penh, literally "the hill of Lady Penh", reinforces the centrality of Wat Phnom, as this pagoda is the hill that Lady Penh built to honour 4 Buddhist statues that miraculous floated down the river to her. Whether you believe the stories or not, come see the altars dedicated to Lady Penh adjacent to a Buddhist temple (a nice mixing of Buddhism and traditional shamanism). The pagoda grounds also feature a statue representing the return of Battambang and Siem Reap from Thailand to Cambodia, a reminder that the current Thai-Khmer problems are certainly not the first instance of friction between the two nations. Pro Tip There are a lot of cultural performances in the pagoda stage so check the schedule to see if anything is going on during your visit. Also, during Khmer New Year in April, this pagoda is the epicenter of music, dancing and water fighting for the whole of PP.
Sinay's R — Google review
Went on a Sunday at around 5.30pm. They told me to put the $1 in a box, and no tickets were issued. Other than that, place was nice, beautiful buildings, and sunset was super awesome. Spent around 1hr and 10mins to take multiple photos.

Park
Garden City Water Park is a must-visit destination in Phnom Penh for families looking to have a blast. The park offers an array of thrilling water rides, including the towering Boomerango and the lengthy Super Bowl slides. Additionally, visitors can relax on the lazy river or test their surfing skills on the FlowRider. With its clean facilities and all-day fun for the whole family, this water park promises an unforgettable experience.
The facility offers an impressive variety of water attractions suitable for all ages - from the thrilling multi-story waterslides for teenagers to the shallow splash zones perfectly designed for toddlers. Cleanliness deserves special mention: all pools were crystal clear, changing rooms spotless, and the entire park meticulously maintained. The staff regularly checked and cleaned facilities throughout our visit. Safety was clearly a priority, with attentive lifeguards stationed at every attraction who were both vigilant and friendly. The park wasn't overcrowded despite visiting during peak season, which made for shorter queues and a more relaxed experience. Food options were diverse and surprisingly good quality for a water park. We particularly enjoyed the grilled options and fresh salads. Prices were reasonable considering the venue type. Staff members were exceptionally helpful, from the friendly welcome at reception to assistance with lockers and directions around the park. When my daughter lost her bracelet, a staff member went above and beyond to help us find it. The park layout is well-designed with plenty of shaded seating areas and loungers available. We appreciated the clearly marked maps throughout the facility. Parking was ample and included in the admission price, which itself offered excellent value for a full day of entertainment. Their online booking system was seamless and offered a slight discount. For anyone considering a visit - arrive early, bring sunscreen, and plan to spend the whole day to fully enjoy all attractions. Garden City Water Park has become our new summer tradition and we're already planning our return visit!
Riva — Google review
Good place to visit. Family friendly. But the kitchen counter top up needs some training on how to communicate properly with guest. Food abit expensive. But overall experience is ok.
Josefus V — Google review
Their website suggests that they have something for everyone yet the deepest pool they had was 100cm. They did have a 180cm one that you couldn’t swim in only jump in. So if you are an adult there isn’t anything to do here, its pretty much only for kids and babies as well as the parents who stand next to the kids. The staff was kind that’s the only reason i gave 2 stars. Also recommend buying tickets online since its cheaper.
Erin — Google review
A bit pricy, but when we got to the big slides could see why it was worth the price. The slides were super fun! If you're not going to do the slides, not worth it, however it is a very nice place to play with kids. Super roomy and has tons of play areas and other slides
Coby C — Google review
great variety of slides and play area. the food at the food court is also delicious and decently priced. recommend that you wear swimwear that doesn't have zipper or pocket in the back so that you can enjoy all the rides and activities. also bring footwear since the concrete will be hot during the day. however, they are quite strict about sunglasses, hat, watch, footwear, and phone on many rides. I recommend read their FAQ page on their website. certain portions of the park are not open at park open hours. buy tickets online if you can since it's generally cheaper than in-person
Maximus S — Google review
It was a very nice water park, had various slides and a wave pool, plus a lazy river. However most attractions don’t open until like 11:30am-12:30pm, so coming early wastes a lot of your time. The wave pool is a scam, not a single wave was witnessed. Most of the slides need 2 people, so as a solo traveler it was a bit limited. It’s a Sunday and there’s not many people around which is strange for a water park at the least. But the rides I did go on were good
Universally H — Google review
The ticket is double price if you don't book online. After you paid 15,5 usd for entrance you still have to pay for toilet paper. Book grab out here. The private motorcycle takes 1,5 hour instead of 30 min.
Johan K — Google review
I have been going to this water park for 5 years now. It used to be brilliant. The decline is incredible. I went 4 months ago and noticed all the slides were no longer slidey. I got stuck in a few of them and had to crawl out! Went again yesterday hoping this would have been fixed. But it was worse. I don't know anything about flume maintenance but surely they need to be cleaned and have some sort of water treatment to keep the friction. I don't believe anything in this park has ever been cleaned. The water was dirty. The floor of the wave pool is badly damaged and needs replaced. Saw two staff members sleeping at there food kiosk! And the ones who were awake had a terrible attitude. I used to love this water park and hope it can be returned to what it used to be. Surely they must clean/fix the slides and take proper care of the place. Otherwise there is just no point in going.

Nestled in the heart of Phnom Penh, Wat Langka stands as a vibrant and intricate Buddhist pagoda adorned with gilded accents. This temple is not only a spiritual haven but also an active center for meditation, offering free sessions led by resident monks several times a week. Established in 1442 by Ponhea Yat, it originally served as a library for Buddhist scriptures and has since evolved into an important gathering place for both locals and monks.
Wat Langka, one of Phnom Penh’s oldest pagodas, was established in 1442. This serene temple, located near the Independence Monument, serves as a sanctuary for Buddhist teachings and a meditation center. Its beautiful Khmer architecture, tranquil gardens, and rich history make it a must-visit. Despite the turmoil of the Khmer Rouge era, Wat Langka remained untouched, preserving its spiritual and cultural significance.
Soneat H — Google review
Visiting Wat Langka Pagoda sounds like a wonderful idea! It's great that there's no entry fee, and its proximity to the Independence Monument makes it a convenient stop. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and the cultural experience in the heart of Phnom Penh. Don't forget to explore the surroundings as well – you might discover more hidden gems in the area.
Ramesh K — Google review
A lovely buddhist temple sitting at the heart of Phnom Penh. Monks actively live and practice here. Entrance is free but please be quiet while roaming the temple ground to avoid distracting the people in prayer.
Dyan S — Google review
A quiet temple in the middle of the city, free of entrance. The temple is located within a monastery. There are active Buddhist monks living there. It's little place of calm and relaxing in the otherwise buzzing city. Dress appropriately of course: covered shoulders.
Sam B — Google review
I had the pleasure of visiting Wat Langka during my recent trip to Cambodia, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. This beautiful temple is steeped in history and culture, and it was amazing to see all of the intricate details and artwork that make it so unique. The temple grounds are peaceful and serene, and the lush greenery that surrounds the temple creates a wonderful atmosphere that is perfect for meditation and reflection. The architecture of the temple is simply breathtaking, with stunning carvings and decorations that showcase the incredible skill of the artisans who created them. The highlight of my visit to Wat Langka was definitely the opportunity to speak with some of the monks who live and work there. They were so welcoming and friendly, and I learned so much about their way of life and the teachings of Buddhism. It was a truly enlightening experience that I will never forget. Overall, I cannot recommend Wat Langka highly enough. Whether you are a history buff, a culture lover, or simply looking for a peaceful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, this temple is definitely worth a visit. It is a five-star attraction that truly deserves all of the praise it has received!

Wat Langka is a beautiful and peaceful Buddhist temple located in the heart of Phnom Penh. The temple's stunning architecture and intricate details make it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Cambodian culture and history. I enjoy the serene atmosphere of the temple's courtyards and gardens, as well as admire the impressive collection of Buddhist artifacts and statues on display. The temple is also a popular spot for meditation and spiritual retreats, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to connect with their inner selves in a tranquil and serene environment. Overall, Wat Langka is a truly beautiful and inspiring place that should not be missed when visiting Phnom Penh.
Simon H — Google review
The purpose why we went there was to attend mediation with the monks but there was none when we arrived. Nevertheless I will give it 3 stars because going there is free. No entrance fee. They have this time to meditate with the monks on selected days. If I am not mistaken, MONDAYS-SATURDAYS 5pm to 7pm. Sorry, I forgot to write down the schedule. No meditation on Sunday. We went there Sunday so we had no luck. Anyway, the architecture is beautiful. It's just near Independence Monument so if you have spare time you can just stop by to have a picture taken and continue with the rest of your tour.
Her M — Google review
Wat Langka is near Independence Monument. This is a small pagoda with a very nice Buddhist temple inside. There is not much to see for locals. There is no entry fee so why not visit one more temple if you are touring around the city.

The Royal Palace Park is a must-visit attraction in Phnom Penh, serving as the official royal residence for Cambodia's king. While certain parts of the extravagant palace complex are open to visitors, much of it consists of beautifully maintained gardens and stunning golden temples. Amidst the bustling city, a leisurely stroll along the riverfront starting from Riverside Park near the Night Market leads to this serene park.
A very nice park. Neat, clean, and with lots of stalls selling cheap and delicious food. It's very exciting, with lots of young people playing here. The park is also perfect for relaxing and enjoying the river breeze at night.
Calvin — Google review
Royal Palace Park, located just across from Phnom Penh’s Royal Palace, is a beautifully maintained little green space with royal flair — trimmed hedges, golden statues, and a direct view of one of Cambodia’s most iconic buildings. Here’s the trick: while many people head here around sunset, that’s actually when it gets crowded. If you want peaceful vibes and stunning, clean photos — come during the day, especially early afternoon. It may be warm, but the park is nearly empty, and the light is still gorgeous for photography. You’ll have the whole scene almost to yourself. It’s a short stop, but a worthwhile one — especially for anyone chasing that perfect regal backdrop without the buzz of the crowd.
JOKER'S — Google review
Royal Palace Park in PP is a very beautiful and peaceful location. It’s located near the river, which makes the surroundings even more scenic and relaxing. The park is **very clean, well-maintained, and neat**, making it perfect for family outings, morning walks, or just spending quiet time in nature. The atmosphere is calm, and the greenery is refreshing. Whether you want to sit and relax or take photos near the river, it’s a lovely place to visit.

Nice view and architectural design. Free and has good visuals at night. If you want to capture If you're only after a nice photo, you can go here instead of actually going inside the palace. The palace has an entrance fee and is usually more crowded, while this spot is free.

Royal Palace Park was absolutely buzzing with people during the Cambodia Water Festival! The atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy, with locals enjoying the festivities and celebrations. It was such a fun experience to be part of the crowd, especially with all the excitement around the event. One of the highlights was seeing the Cambodian King pass by in his car, which was a special and unexpected moment. It really added to the uniqueness of the visit. Overall, it was a lively and memorable experience, and the park was the perfect spot to soak in the local culture during the festival.

You have often events in the garden, market, food, concert. And there is the roller dome where you can do roller skate. Good family place

A small but beautiful park in Koh Pich area of central Phnom Penh, Coconut Park is a great place to take a few photos with the greenery and fruit trees or walk out the back of the garden to get some shots along the Bassac River

Once, I went there without any plan. This is a good spot for a picnic with a small bunch of food, but I bought sth to eat there because they have an event. I ate the donut, and the drinks are so good. They have a place for skateboarding in the garden. And also they allow us to bring our pet to play there, interesting place.

Natural green 💚 park with cool events happening every week and lots of doggos to see and pet. 🛑 There's a rule to no bringing outside food or drink 🛑. There's a cafe inside with coffee, boba and tea and food are available inside as there's another restaurant cafe with Lego shop.

The Statue of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk stands proudly in the heart of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, serving as a poignant tribute to the beloved 'father king.' Inaugurated on October 11, 2013, this memorial park is strategically located near the Independence Monument and showcases a striking bronze statue of King Sihanouk in an elegant pose beneath a beautifully crafted stupa that reflects traditional Khmer architecture.
This Monument is a great place and pay respect to former King Norodom Sihanouk. It located the stupa in the park east of the Independence Monument. The statue was dedicated to Nicole’s achievement and victory in liberating the country from the French protectorate of Cambodia. Whenever you visit the city of Phnom Penh, you must visit there.

The Statue of His Majesty in Phnom Penh is a beautiful tribute to the late King Norodom Sihanouk. The statue is impressive, and the surrounding area is peaceful and well-kept. It’s a great place to reflect on Cambodia’s history and show respect for the monarchy. A must-visit for anyone in Phnom Penh!

This is a bronze statue of Cambodia's former King Norodom Sihanouk, the "father king" of Cambodia and is recognized for his role in the country's liberation from French rule in 1953. It is located in a park east of the Independence Monument in Phnom Penh

The Statue of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom in Phnom Penh is an impressive monument honoring the late King Norodom, who played a significant role in Cambodia’s modern history. Standing tall in a beautifully landscaped park area, the statue captures the dignity and presence of the monarch, making it a landmark of national pride and respect. Surrounded by well-maintained gardens, fountains, and wide walkways, the site provides a calm space for both locals and visitors to reflect. At night, the statue and its surroundings are illuminated, creating a striking and elegant scene against the city backdrop. It is a popular spot for gatherings, quiet strolls, and photography. For photographers, the monument offers excellent opportunities at different times of day. Daylight highlights the statue’s detail and the symmetry of the gardens, while evening shots capture its golden illumination against Phnom Penh’s skyline. Wide shots emphasize the grandeur, while close-ups focus on the statue’s craftsmanship and decorative details. The statue stands not only as a tribute to a revered king but also as a symbol of Cambodia’s resilience and cultural identity. It is a must-visit site for those wishing to understand the country’s respect for its monarchy and history.

Located within a park, at the centre of it in fact for this statue. The surrounding was well-kept and clean when I visited. Some drawbacks were that I saw people sleeping beside the statue when I visited at night. The place looked better in the night time with all the lightings.

This statue is inside a joggers park. The area is well maintained, clean and beautiful. It is a free entry to visit the statue and the park. Evening is ideal to visit this place to avoid heat and enjoy beautiful lighting in the area. Please note that I could not find any toilets nearby. Please like the comment if it helps. Thanks.

Zoo
Phnom Penh Safari offers a unique animal park experience with its safari-like setting. The animals are housed in spacious exhibits that replicate their natural habitats, complete with natural elements like rocks and trees. Visitors can observe a diverse range of African herbivores coexisting, mirroring the biodiversity found in the wild.
Excellent Zoo. Lots of fun. Huge variety of different animals. Make sure you add extra credit on your wristband as there are lots of opportunities to feed animals and also it’s the only way to pay for snacks and refreshments.

Visited on a public holiday. It was not crowded in the morning but would gain its crowd by noon. Bought my tickets online, checked-in and got my wristbands in just couple minutes. You can also top up some balance to your wristbands right at the entrance for you to buy food, drinks or any additional attraction fee later. Another top-up booth will be available at the food stall area as well, in case you missed the first one. There are toilets, resting spots, benches, shades and booths accessible almost everywhere. They also have a train (with a fee) for you to hop on if you can’t or choose not to walk. There are variety of animals to see, observe and/or interact with. There are multiple shows throughout the day. Best is you could spend the whole day. It is a great experience for children. I love that everything is so accessible, available to grab, seating areas with shades almost everywhere that accommodate both young people and adults. P.S. you can even go there by the city bus that cost only 1500r (~0.4$) per person. It’s so convenient and affordable. Please be open-minded, patient, and respectful. The people there are amazing—very friendly and helpful, despite possible language barriers. So, reciprocate the great hospitality they show you.
BittywithCathy — Google review
If you're thinking of visiting this zoo, please stop — what you’ll be supporting is cruelty, not conservation. Behind the staged shows and photo ops lies relentless suffering. Please read this. 💔 Crocodiles are beaten and left with rotting fungal infections. Baby animals have their mouths taped shut so tourists can pose with them. Orangutans are paraded in bikinis, forced to perform humiliating tricks for crowds. Elephants, wounded and shackled, are lined up for rides. Tigers are whipped into jumping through flaming hoops. This isn’t entertainment, it’s an endless cycle of abuse. Every ticket sold funds more suffering. We owe it to these beautiful animals to choose compassion over cruelty. Doing better starts with each of us.
Stasja C — Google review
Quite literally the best zoo I have been to in my life and I have been to zoos from Europe to Africa to Australia. The sheer amount of different things you come across and the ingenuity in the shows. I loved all of it. It was so quiet and you could do everything without a crowd. I took so many great pictures and saw shows I’ve never seen anywhere else and never will probably. A lot of people have problems with some of it especially with the monkeys but I remind myself rule of Cambodia applies. I don’t live there and don’t always know the circumstances. To me it looks like the staff take a lot of time to train the animals and genuinely enjoy doing it! This is a genuine must do in Cambodia !
Pine's A — Google review
The shows are great. The price is acceptable and the staff are friendly. You can take advantage of the discount period to enjoy.

Phnom Penh Safari is actually a zoo. Quite far from the city center, it is still worth it if you have kids. There are giraffes, tigers, deers , crocodiles, bears, etc. It is not a big zoo, but quite enough and clean.

I wonder whether it is a zoo or a circle. Animals looks very pool Low facilities maitainence 10USD/ticket
Minh N — Google review
Very nice and relaxing and cool to see the animals. The circuses offer a lot of entertainment. There are 2 problems, one is the price, the food shops are fine but the price to take pictures with exotic animals or even hold one. Two, a lot of animals are not seen in the cages or missing, like the animal is no where to be found. But overall, is fine.

PH Euro Park, located along National Road 1 in Chbar Ampeou, is a picturesque destination designed to resemble European scenery. The park features meticulously crafted miniature European landmarks and offers ample seating areas and shaded spots along an artificial canal for visitors to relax and enjoy the serene environment. Additionally, there are various well-known coffee shops and eateries lining the canal. This family-friendly park provides a tranquil setting for a leisurely morning or peaceful late afternoon amidst beautiful surroundings.
This location offers breathtaking views and an ideal spot for capturing memorable photographs. However, the daytime temperatures can be quite warm and uncomfortable. Fortunately, the vicinity boasts a variety of cafes where you can seek respite by enjoying refreshing beverages and cooling down. Overall, it is a pleasant destination for a refreshing and rejuvenating experience.

Such a beautiful quaint area the streets are so clean and modern and nice. It does feel like a underrated gym not super touristy just a really relaxing free park with tons of little cafés and restaurants to go to and it’s great for pictures.
T A — Google review
The question is what is this. It’s kind of weird with random buildings spread about with nothing really happening. The biggest most impressive building you’re not allowed near. Its called Euro park yet it has Australian Opera House ? Not something i’d go out of my way for
Jason O — Google review
Beautiful and relaxing place in Phnom Penh! PH Euro Park is a really nice spot for walking, relaxing, and taking photos. The whole area has a European-style design with mini landmarks, colorful buildings, and a calm atmosphere — perfect for Instagram shots! There are plenty of cafes and restaurants around (like Starbucks and The Pizza Company), so it’s a good place to chill with friends or family. Entry is free, which is great. It can get a bit crowded in the evenings and weekends, and it’s quite hot during the day — best time to visit is late afternoon or sunset when the lights come on. Overall, a beautiful, clean, and modern park — highly recommended if you’re in Phnom Penh! 🌿📸✨

An incredibly beautiful park, the atmosphere here is created in a completely European style. The atmosphere at night was much more interesting, which was captivating. A great place to spend a great time, especially Brown Cafe.
Mm D — Google review
I'm not sure if this place was built and failed or if it's not finished being built yet, but it appears unfinished... or empty compared to the vision i imagine produced the place. Made to represent parts of Europe (hence the name), with scale(?!?I think!?!) famous buildings from around the world. The massive, humongous "great hall" dwarfed everything else in the complex, and there were"no entry" signs that stopped us having a look inside. There was a Sydney Opera House, an Arch de Triomph, an Eiffel Tower, and several other buildings in the style of the Dutch, and a representation of the canals of Venice, including a gondola. Beautiful gardens, some shaded areas. No cost to get in which was a change, but it seemed most of the buildings housed restaurants that were not open while I was there. I would also suggest some sort of labels on the buildings so i would know what i was looking at! Oh, and the manmade waterfall was sweet!

Sunshine Family Park, situated in Phnom Penh on Ayasmayan West Street (113), is a unique power-free amusement park that opened at the end of 2023. The park offers a variety of attractions for kids, including inflatables, slides, and jungle gyms. It also hosts live music concerts and features a night market with food stalls. Visitors have praised the cleanliness and safety measures in place for children to play freely.
I went there during Aii School Fair. It is the best place for kids to play and build mental and confidence. All the playgrounds are safe for kids.

I visited this new night market last weekend. Even the crowded atmosphere in town, the variety of food stalls was impressive. With numerous food options at affordable prices, it's a great spot to indulge in different cuisines. The addition of a photo booth, a big water slide, and a park for kids adds a fun element. However, the seating area is limited, which might be a consideration for those looking to relax while enjoying their meals.
Rith P — Google review
One of the best kids park in Phnom Penh. The park is huge and has a lot of places to go and explore, and you can have a lot of fun just alone. Mostly, the rides and places are kid-friendly and easy to access. The only scary part is the glass bridge in which you have to climb using the ropes attached to the top, and to get down you can either ride the loop slide or climb back down. The structure is strong but kinda scary. There are food stands inside the park and for an affordable price. There is also a night market and an ice cream truck, and the price here is cheap. Overall, a good family and kids park with a good atmosphere. Theres even a snow place outside too.
Sokserey S — Google review
I’m certain that kids won’t forget the beauty and fun of this place. The joy on their faces as they explore and play is truly priceless. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and can’t wait to bring my children along. I know they will be just as enchanted by the park as I am. The combination of exciting activities, delicious food, and the opportunity to create lasting memories makes the Sunshine Family Park a perfect destination for family outings. Soon, I’ll be back here with my children to experience all the fun and magic once again.

This has the potential of being a great place for families. Unfortunately, old local habits catch up here also very fast and, wherever you go, you'll get your ears destroyed by guys like this one who will shout in loudspeakers for hours, interrupting his torrent of insanity by seconds of cheap boum boum sort of music, up,down, up, down - for hours long. And when you think you can escape by going to their night market next door another clone of the same sort will be waiting for you to accompany your meal. If you keep those nuisances, don't expect any foreigner to visit your park any second time.

Sorya Shopping Center is a luxurious Western-style mall in Phnom Penh, offering a wide range of shops including apparel, jewelry, and a grocery store. The center also features a food court and cinema for entertainment. With its 8 floors, it stands out as the most upscale shopping destination in the city. Visitors can enjoy bargaining for items despite marked prices. Additionally, the complex includes entertainment options such as cinemas and dining areas reminiscent of commercial centers in Vietnam.
Went over to this shopping center on my way to Central Market. It has 5 levels with shops such as Mr DIY, supermarket, restaurants (Pepper Lunch, Pizza, Bonchon fried chicken, Asian Kitchen, etc) & tailor shops. A food court with local delicacies (Flavours of Cambodia) is located on 4th floor. A Starbuck cafe is located at the ground floor & a cinema on the highest floor. Fully air-conditioned centre. Good place to seek refuge from Cambodia afternoon sun..

Kool place! It’s definitely gotten busier since last year. There aren't many restaurants, and the food court is a bit overpriced. There's also an empty Pizzy Company location above. We went to watch a movie, and it was a pretty kool experience. Afterward, my wife grabbed her coffee fix downstairs at Starbucks.

The Riverside Park in Phnom Penh is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful river views. The park is surrounded by restaurants, cafés, and bars, making it a perfect spot to spend an evening out with friends. In the evenings, the park comes alive with families out for walks, as fishermen bring their catches back to shore. There are also food vendors selling local delicacies.
With the street blocked for pedestrians only you can see the Khmer culture in dance, songs and lots and lots of different foods to try. Definitely a weekend night must do.

A Night Stroll at Sisowath Riverside Park Tonight, I decided to take a walk along Sisowath Riverside Park, one of the most vibrant and enjoyable places to visit at night in Phnom Penh. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the refreshing breeze coming from the Mekong River, which swept away the heat of the day. It felt calm, cool, and relaxing. The riverside scene was beautifully lit, with golden lights reflecting off the water’s surface. On both sides of the walkway were lively food stalls, cafés, and street vendors, bustling with activity. People were enjoying coffee, groups of friends gathered around street food carts, and couples strolled hand in hand under the soft glow of street lamps. Light music drifted from nearby shops, blending with laughter and conversation to create a lively yet peaceful atmosphere. I bought a grilled meat skewer from a street cart and walked slowly while savoring the flavor and the moment. It was a simple yet memorable experience. If you ever visit Phnom Penh, don’t miss the chance to spend an evening walking along Sisowath Riverside Park — a place where energy and serenity coexist in harmony.

Visited Sisowath Riverside recently and absolutely loved it The place is super clean, peaceful, and perfect for an evening walk. You can enjoy the view of the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers meeting, and the sunset looks amazing here. Sisowath Riverside Park is one of the most vibrant and iconic parts of Phnom Penh. Stretching along the Tonle Sap River, it’s where locals and travelers come together — for walks, workouts, street snacks, or just to sit and watch the world go by. The atmosphere here shifts throughout the day: mornings are peaceful with joggers and monks, afternoons bring heat and street life, and evenings? Pure magic. The breeze off the river, golden sunset light, families playing, and street vendors lighting up their carts — it all feels alive, warm, and very Cambodian. You’ll see kids flying kites, groups doing synchronized aerobics, lovers walking hand-in-hand, and old uncles sipping iced coffee while silently judging the world. It’s chaotic and chill at the same time — and totally worth experiencing. There are benches, open spaces, and it’s right next to landmarks like the Royal Palace and Ponlea Chey Pavilion. If Phnom Penh has a soul, this is where it beats loudest.
JOKER'S — Google review
The Riverside is one of Phnom Penh’s defining features, blending the city’s style with its everyday pleasures. A broad, tiled promenade runs between the slow, honking traffic and the muddy lifeblood of the Mekong, offering space to stroll, jog, or simply watch the city unfold. Though guidebooks sometimes warn of late-night dangers, most visitors find it more lively than threatening especially in the cooler hours when locals come out to breathe. At its busiest, the Riverside becomes a moving festival: food vendors line the street, families gather, and people-watching rivals any show in town. When the adjoining road is closed to cars, the atmosphere turns almost carnival like a reminder that this isn’t just a walkway, but one of Phnom Penh’s beating hearts.

A hidden gem in Phnom Penh - had a good pool day here. Pool access is free if you spend more than $5 on food or drink - which is easy to accomplish. It’s not crowded or too busy - but we went on a Monday and there was good availability. Would recommend for a visit. Took 1 star out as parts of the pool seemed to have fungal/algae growth so pool could be cleaner.

What a great way to spend the afternoon, away from the hubbub of Phnom Penh. The pool is huge and clean, and was virtually empty on the Tuesday that I visited. All this luxury just for spending $5 or more in the restaurant.

Very nice pool. Good food. Just spend 5usd for free entry. Nice lounge beds and can easy order foods and drinks by phone
Swen R — Google review
Pool is always a great temperature being that it is a shallow pool at 1.2 meters deep, very large area so no crowding problem. Food and drink orders must be +$5 per person as this accounts for the free swimming, but ordering is easy and a a lot of variety so staying for +2 hours is so easy to eat , swim and relax. No outside food or drink allowed and no necessary as not overly expensive here. $3.50 beers and $5 spirits just don’t buy the bottle for +$80 bourbon bottle. Staff are friendly and service time is reasonable. Order food first then swim and cool down. No one is hurried out of their lounge so can stay for a few hours. Can reserve a lounge space for +4 people. Weekends are usually very busy, but weekdays usually no problem getting a good spot.

Great place to while away an afternoon. We went on a Friday afternoon, plenty of vacant seating areas available. The pool is big with clean water and great to cool down in. Food and drinks are a little bit expensive but as long as you spend $5 per person there is no charge to swim. Towels are $1 each to rent. Staff friendly and efficient. In all a excellent place to chill out and swim. Recommended 👍

$5 Entrance fee but you have used this $5 on food and drink. The swimming pool is very nice, plenty of sitting area but you might need to book the space if you visit on the weekend. The foods and drinks are average. A lot of kids there so be aware of that if you need quite place, this pool not the most quiet place because kids constantly playing around and screaming. The location is great and easy to find. The stuff super friendly and helpful.

It's a great place to visit with children, offering both entertainment and education.

I absolutely loved this park. Thank you for making it 😄 I imagine it's equally fun for families and dino- nerds such as yours truly. 🤓 (Bong!) It's is laid out with care and knowledge, with enough (literal) space between the learning and the fun having, the scary and the beautiful... Two rivers, a vulcano, a waterfall, paddle boats, a ferris wheel, a stage, hell, even an ice skating rank. Bronze placards with updated information, stone walled bridges, and paths walking us through (millions of years) the 3 dinosaur periods. A plethora of activities for everyone. To me it was wonderful seeing both the largest mammal to ever exist (as far as we know) - the Argentinosaurus - in real size- as well as smaller and lesser known species such as Oliorotitan (duck billed dinosaur with no known relatives from late Jura) #represented! I was the only visitor on a Thursday morning- and I had no clue where or how to buy a ticket - I asked, but staff didn't understand me 🥺one of the staff was so nice, he even went go- carting with me 😅 and oh boy did he slay. If any of the managers of the park read this: please 🙏 notify me - because I would like to come back and pay for my visit!!

Our son loved riding a couple of the dinosaurs, and we also tried the paid rides like the flying dinosaur and bumper cars. We spent a couple of hours exploring the different dinosaurs, fossils, and even the volcano — overall a good experience. Sadly, we learned from the staff that this was the park’s last day open. They’re still deciding whether to renovate or completely change the concept. It was our first visit, and it’s sad it may also be our last. I hope they bring it back with some innovations to make it even more family-friendly, with fun for both kids and parents.

We went there again after our first nice visit 4 month ago. Me and my 5 year old son. This time we didnt liked it as well. All attractions and rides were closed. The dome with playground closed. Converted into a soccer field. The gardner set all under water , mud on the paths. You couldnt walk around as you dont have rubber boots ! Screws and nails lying around everywhere. Not that child safety .Still ok , but now its overpriced . I complained about it at the exit but nobody cares. We won`t go there again . We were the only visitors . If they want to close the park they are on a good way ! Before charge entrance fee they should inform the guests ! Fraud Money back ? hahaha jooking

- Good place to visit for kids during holidays. - The whole park can be covered in 2-3 hrs including all rides and attractions. - Number if rides are limited and some are under renovation. - Indoor play area is quite hot in the daytime due to some air conditioning issue. - Food selection is limited and bit pricey.

Koh Pich also known as Diamond Island, well located on the river side where Mekong river & Tonle-Sap river merge together. Evening & night time are the best for night view of the rivers & city landscape. Many restaurants around the river aide walkway, mostly with traditional Khmer food & sea foods menu. There are many other facilities for weekend activities like Coconut parks, open public park, big venue places, open area for different type of program arrangements, etc. another aide of the island has Maternity hospital & structures (kind of replica of French architecture). Overall good place for spending good time.

from 10 March 2021 A lovely shaded green space with seats and tables, simple playground and fitness path, dog run, and Japanese foot bath. During non-outbreak times, this venue is host to many activities, including a very popular “farmer’s market’” showcasing all sorts of business in Phnom Penh. Today at 9:30 am, it is very quiet. There are a few maintenance staff milling about and just a couple green-seekers and dog-walkers. However, as usual, Teacher Jessica has been spotted by one of her many students. (Kids are always shocked to see me outside of my usual teaching venues.) Located directly across from Chip Mong Noro Mall, this is the future site of towering office and living complex. From their website: “A temporary park for Phnom Penh. “A pop-up greenspace awaits you Welcome to Odom Garden, a family-friendly tropical oasis, right in the center of Phnom Penh. ...With work not slated to begin on site until April 2021, ULS wanted to ensure the 4,000 sqm prime plot of land on Norodom Boulevard didn’t go to waste. The result is a temporary greenspace, whose elegant footpaths are dotted with lush tropical trees. Completing the set-up are various fun areas, including a playground for children, spacious plaza, dog run, japanese foot-bath and even a healthy café/brunch spot—curated by Botanico. ”Odom Garden opened its gate at the end of May 2020, and will remain accessible until the end of 2021. The Odom community is already gathering at the Garden daily, come join them! “Open seven days a week Mondays through Thursdays 08:00 AM to 10:00 PM Fridays and Saturdays 08:00 AM to 11:00 PM Sundays 08:00 AM to 07:00 PM #SoloTravelInCambodia

The village also offers activities like biking, boating, pool access, archery, and billiards. However, some reviewers found the food to be expensive and the service slow.
Khmer traditional style included House, Food and everything at there. The views amazing. Away from town quiet and relaxing. I ordered a chicken grilled it's cost $18 a little bit expensive but the taste good acceptable. And the soup a bit smell of prohok (khmer cheese) maybe the chef put it a lot.

Granted the atmosphere is somewhat peaceful. The owner made an effort to make the environment somewhat natural and quiet; however lacking in all other areas. Specifically, the staff is super unfriendly. Many requests go unattended. What’s more, the big bungalow is reserved for big groups. So if you want a bungalow in the waterfall areas, forget about it if you have only 3-4 people in the group. Food is mediocre at best. Their fried chicken wasn’t fried at all. It was first boiled and then lightly fried on the outside. The chef must have forgotten to put salt in their food. All in all, avoid this restaurant. Do not support their way of treating customers just another figure. Hope things will improve. Thanks.

With just 18 elegantly designed suites, this upscale retreat boasts a tranquil atmosphere enhanced by lush gardens featuring aromatic frangipani trees and calming water features. From the moment we arrived, The Bale offered a rare sense of privacy and calm that’s increasingly hard to find. The 25-meter pool overlooking the river is simply stunning — the perfect place to relax at any time of day. The atmosphere is intimate, elegant and discreet. Rooms are massive, minimalistic yet warm, with every comfort you could want. A special thank you to Sylvaine, the French manager, whose presence makes a real difference. My annual riverside escape in CAMBODIA since 2018👌🏽 I’ve been returning to The Bale Phnom Penh every year since 2018, and it remains my favorite place to disconnect. The hotel offers a rare balance of peace, space and thoughtful design — with its stunning 25-meter pool along the river, massive, serene and huge rooms, and a quiet atmosphere that feels far from the chaos of the city, yet within reach when needed. The food is excellent and priced fairly, the service is discreet and warm, and above all, there’s a loyal, seasoned team — some staff have been here since my very first stay (reception, executive chef, etc.) . That says everything about the management, led with professionalism and care by Sylvaine. To truly appreciate this place, you need to stay more than one night — ideally a few. Whether you’re looking to fully unplug or use it as a base to explore Phnom Penh, give yourself the time to let the calm settle in. You won’t regret it.

Our room was incredibly spacious, immaculately clean, and came with everything we needed — from quality linens to quiet air-con and a generous bathroom. The check-in experience was smooth and welcoming, setting the tone for a flawless stay. The food is excellent: breakfast is refined and beautifully presented, and dinner was both delicious and reasonably priced — a rare combination in a luxury hotel. It’s the kind of place where time slows down. Highly recommended for couples or solo travelers looking for a serene retreat.

The garden offers various activities and attractions for visitors such as a playground, picnicking, enjoying coffee at the café, witnessing sunrise and sunset views, exploring the vegetable and flower gardens.
I visited Norea Garden on a Sunday and it turned out to be the perfect escape I didn’t know I needed. 🌿 The moment you step in, you’re greeted by fresh air, wide open green spaces, and a calming riverside view that instantly melts away stress. It’s one of those rare places in Phnom Penh where you can simply breathe, slow down, and let your mind wander. The garden feels well cared for- clean paths, lush plants, and enough seating areas to sit quietly or chat with friends. On weekends, the vibe is lively but not overcrowded, so you still get that peaceful atmosphere. Whether you’re here to clear your head after a hectic week, take photos of the scenery, or just enjoy a relaxing stroll, Norea Garden gives you that sense of calm that’s hard to find in the city. Lovely, peaceful garden. Nice for a picnic even though it was pretty small, there are not many plants or flowers. A $1 admission fee per person is not too bad. Plus, love the dogs. <3 they doesn't provide soap for the bathroom and it was dirty. Another issue is that you can not stay past 7 of the clock or you risk getting wet from their sprinklers in the garden.

Pros: Good area to go and enjoy with the little ones. There are lots of things to enjoy and for good age groups. Areas are set well. Cons: staff don’t really walk around to supervise cleanliness and trash that was thrown in the play area The rubber mat was ripped and lots of staples were out and I got cut from it. It was fixed until I went and told the staff. Food or drink shouldn’t be allowed to bring into play area as I saw empty juice bottles in the ball pit. Some stuff is broken and missing which is sad. It could be better but for the rough play from kids it is acceptable.

It’s lively, and you’ll see many birds being fed by visitors. There are also boat tours if you want to see the river from a different perspective. It can get quite hot on a sunny day, though, so it’s best to go in the early morning or evening. It would be even better if there were more greenery along the river, but overall, it’s a pleasant place to stroll and soak in the atmosphere.
Earn S — Google review
The Riverside is a nice area of sidewalk along the Tonle Sap River where it meets the Mekong. You can walk from the ferry port and the posh hotels, past the Royal Palace and the National auditorium, past the historically significant and beautiful Wat Ounalom and Kandal Market, down to the less compelling (in my opinion) Night Market and finally to Wat Phnom, the traditional origin point of Phnom Penh. Along the way, you will pass all kinds of hotels and international restaurants, some delicious, some not so, but all expensive. You will likely see fortune tellers, Buddhist bird sellers (you can buy and release the birds to gain merit), pleasure boat hawkers and some beggars. Walking the riverside is an experience On weekends, the road is closed down and the whole area becomes a "pedestrian paradise" complete with street food and performances. Pro Tip Generally speaking, Cambodia is a safe country and PP is a safe city but...... if you do run into any trouble, the riverside is where it is most likely to happen. Take reasonable precautions against pickpockets and avoid the riverside in the middle of the night, especially if drunk from visiting one of the neighbouring bars.

Beautiful. Very interesting. There is a lot to see on the riverside/surroundings: museum, royal palace and much more. Let yourself fall into the life on the river in the big city. But watch your bags...like everywhere else in the world
Frank N — Google review
A long walk way by the river side and full of life with street food, toys etc. When the cars and bikes are passing on the side road, you can take rest on the bench and enjoy the sunset and lives around you or may finish your daily jogging/walking.

Phon P — Google review
Spending time by the riverside in Phnom Penh was an unforgettable experience. The climate was perfectly balanced – though the sun was shining brightly, the gentle, refreshing wind made the temperature comfortable and relaxing. Sitting there alone, I felt completely at peace, captivated by the breathtaking view of the river. The vast expanse of the flowing river was mesmerizing, with local boats and cruise vessels gracefully navigating its waters. It was a beautiful sight to watch the rhythm of life on the river. The riverside is thoughtfully designed for visitors' comfort. The interlocked pathways and narrow concrete steps along the shoreline blend aesthetics with functionality. These interlocks, resembling marble, add a touch of elegance to the area. Benches made from the same material are placed thoughtfully, offering a perfect spot to relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. Adding to the charm, trees are planted strategically along the shore, providing much-needed shade and shelter from the sun. The harmonious combination of nature and urban design makes this place a true retreat for anyone looking to unwind. If you're in Phnom Penh, I highly recommend spending some time by the riverside. It’s a place that offers not just scenic beauty but also a deep sense of calm and connection to nature.

Spice store
La Plantation Phnom Penh - Fair Spices Shop is a renowned establishment that upholds the rich tradition of pepper production in Kampot. They offer a wide range of high-quality products, including black, green, and red Kampot Peppercorns as well as innovative spice blends. Visitors can explore the plantation, participate in pepper-themed cooking classes, and shop for various packaged spices. The store's beautiful ambiance and museum on the first floor make it an ideal destination for spice enthusiasts.
The shop is organized and clean. The 1st floor is a small museum, but I can see the owners love what they are doing. I bought the special source for my family and myself. The herbal tea, you must test the cold one. It’s really good. The lady in the shop is well trained and not to pushing. I really enjoy my shopping there. Hope some day I can have chance to visit your farm.

La Plantation is a true gem if you love pepper and spices in general. Very tasty products - my favourite ones being the green salt pepper and long pepper leather. They’ve recently released incredible sauces and infusions - all of which I loved. Make sure to visit their farm in Kampot and their Phnom Penh outpost is a great way to buy more of their products before flying back home! Their store is beautiful and make sure to visit their museum in the 1st floor! 💚

Indoor playground
Kids Park at Aeon Mall Phnom Penh is part of a chain of indoor playgrounds located in various malls across the city. The park offers a range of activities including ball pits, climbing walls, slides, trampolines, and sandboxes to keep kids entertained. Visitors have noted that the facility can get busy but not overly crowded, providing ample space for children to play. The friendly staff and well-maintained play area add to the positive experience for both kids and parents.
My friend and I brought our children (ages 4, 3, and 1) here on a Tuesday afternoon and they all had really fun playing for more than 2 hours. There was so much to do that they never got bored. As time passed, the place became busier, but not too crowded. Some of the older children were playing too rough and were not sharing spaces, but our children still had a great time. I felt safe allowing the older children to play even when I couldn’t see them, because the equipment was well padded and there was only one entrance/exit, where my husband and my friend sat talking while I played with my baby. There were 3 friendly staff at the entrance. There were some drinks and snacks for sale. We only paid $3/child and the baby was free. Also, they required children to wear socks and they provide to those who do not bring. There was 1 sign posted that adults were not permitted in the ball pits; otherwise, I believe adults were permitted on the equipment with their children if they desired.
Jewel R — Google review
Very friendly staff and well-cleaned children's play area. 4.4$ on weekdays and 6.6$ on weekends from 9am to 10pm. The size of the facility means that children from 2 to 5 years old can have a great time. 2025.1.5 The new fee plan is $1 per adult. The facility is old, but it is simply expensive because it has not been updated. I cannot recommend this facility. Also, the staff are basically on their cell phones and not working.

Open from 9am-22:00pm Remember to bring your kids socks and your own shocks otherwise it will be 1$/pair of sock. Good price, 4$/kid Monday - Friday 6$/kid Weekends and public holidays

First of all, make sure you’ve come to the right place. There’s two kids play areas in the same building. This is on the 1st floor (1 floor up from ground level) and there’s another on the 2nd floor. Equipment wise this was alright but the lack of stir conditioning made it difficult to enjoy our time both for the kids and the adults minding them.
