I honestly didn’t expect it to be this good! I’ve heard people recommend this place for a while, and now I totally get why. The vibe is super cozy and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly nice and attentive. Our food took a bit longer than expected, but they followed up on it quickly, which I really appreciated. I ordered the fish and chips, fried mushrooms, French fries, and a root beer — everything was seriously delicious! It turned out to be one of the best dinners I’ve had in a while. If you’re ever in Topeka, this is definitely a must-try spot!

We stopped in during their Oktoberfest celebration and were blown away. The German food was spot-on and the beers were excellent — exactly what you hope for at a brewery. The service was perfect from start to finish, friendly and attentive without hovering. The atmosphere hit that sweet spot between lively and relaxed, just what you want from a great tap house and restaurant. Pricing was absolutely fair for the quality. Nothing extra to mention on parking or wait times — it was easy all around. We’d definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great beer and good food, whether you’re a local or just passing through.

I stop by here every trip to Topeka. It never disappoints. Every beer I have tried is delicious and same goes for the meals. My son calls this his favorite place to get a steak. We will keep coming back!

Our food was pretty tasty overall. We also had great service from Gabe. We tried a variety of mostly excellent beers. This place is huge! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the food was pretty expensive for what it was, though the steak burger was quite nice. We thought the fish and chips and some of the other offerings were a bit pricey. Still, a fun spot to have beer and enjoy a vintage restaurant vibe.

I called an order in. They told me 20 minutes. I gave them 15 before heading there and figured I'd wait. It took over an hour after waiting 15 minutes then driving there which was a 10 minute drive. I was told they messed up my fries twice. Proceeded to wait an additional 15 minutes. Overall experience. Food is mediocre at best. Should have got chicken tenders and cheese fries. The price....... Outrageous. Especially after waiting that long. Use to come here all the time. Never had a complaint. My opinion, it's gone down hill. If you plan on getting a growler order at least 10 minutes ahead of time. I'm going to go choke down this cold mediocre food now. Hope my comment is helpful. Root beer is good though 👌🏾

Beer was great! John Dean does a great job of brewing beer for the tiger. Food is not too bad but could use some improvements. Service...... my waiter was very nice, approachable, and carried good conversation when he could. Only problem i had was asking for a rag 3 times in a row and never getting one till I walked up to the bar myself to get one. Just wanted to clean off the top of the table as it wasnt done prior to us sitting there.

Sunday night at 6:30, party of two. No one at reception, waited there five minutes, a waitress shows up and tells us 45 minute wait but open seating in the bar. One whole dining area was empty, but there appeared to be plenty of staff, so perhaps waiting for a large group (who never came while we were there). We found a table in the bar, waited another ten minutes for a waitress to come by. She took our drink orders, no menus. Another five minutes go by, finally a different waitress brings our drinks, we ask about menus which she gives us. The original waitress shows up after another five minutes to take food orders. Twenty minutes later our waitress walks by, says she’ll check on our food, and brings it out shortly. The Texas Nachos had real cheddar cheese instead of cheese sauce, but other than that were less than average quality and not really tasting good. The meatloaf special was burnt top and bottom and almost at room temperature so obviously had been sitting out for the waitress to pick it up. Finally, when we asked for the check and our waitress brought out the credit card slip, she left it on the table and went into another room. No pen to sign it. Had to go to the bar for a pen. I’ve eaten many times at Blind Tiger, although mostly lunches, always with good food (many different items) and service, but it’s been about a year since the last time. I don’t like writing negative reviews, but either this was a one-off very poor evening for the entire staff or the restaurant no longer is able to maintain its former standards for food quality and service. Too bad. We won’t be returning to the Blind Tiger as there are other places to dine.

I have come all the way from Australia as I just moved countries and was on the way to mine and my husbands new home in another state, so we just so happened to be passing by Topeka on the way to our destination. We googled "best bbq in Topeka" and sure enough this one came up as one of the first results and for very good reason too. We looked at the time and it was almost closing time so my husband called ahead and asked if we could still come, which they were SUPER accommodating and said we could come on in. Lonnie's BBQ is tucked away and not somewhere super obvious but the moment you step in, you feel the warm welcome and you know it's worth finding this literal hidden diamond. We were greeted by Darren who we spoke to on the phone and Natalie who are both such kind and inviting people. Their hospitality was next level and unlike any kindness and hosptiality I have ever come across. I am not used to such hospitality and immediate warmth upon arrival. We asked their recommendations and seeing as the menu isn't very large, whatever you get is going to be INSANELY GOOD, so we got the brisket sandwich with pickles, cheesy potatoes, coleslaw, baked beans and sweet tea. The owners came out and since it was closing time gave us a test sample of some of their other food like the Turkey and pulled pork, and BOY when I say this is the most delicious barbecue I've had yet in my life, I mean it!!!! I've tried many places across the states and yet nothing comes close to this place. It really lives up to the name on google "Best BBQ in Topeka" and the owners were the LOVELIEST people, we even got to meet the OG owner and smoker Lonnie and he was such a ripper bloke! They stayed back longer for us and even showed us what their ribs look like, as shown in the images. Lonnie has perfected his craft in the food industry AND IT SHOWS. We really had such a special experience and I CANNOT RATE HIGHLY ENOUGH THE BAKED BEANS, CHEESY POTATOES, TURKEY AND THEIR BRISKET! All their sauces are housemade and absolutely delicious, and you're not overwhelmed by choice as the menu is simple, classic and just perfected barbecue. No messing around and no need to even advertise, the food TRULY speaks for itself. Lonnie, Darren and Natalie thank you SO much for the most amazing experience, we are so grateful and we loved every second of our time with you guys. If you are wondering if you should come here, stop wondering and if youre in Topeka or just passing through, pay this business a visit and you'll be so glad you did. 20/10 for everything Vibes, food, service, atmosphere, location, hospitality, etc Thanks again for making my stop in Kansas one of the most beautiful and most memorable. I travel for my job. One of the top things on my list is when I get to where I am going is to find BBQ. Not just good BBQ. But great BBQ!!! Lonnie Q's is great BBQ. Was lucky enough to go to Lonnie's twice while working in Topeka KS. If you are driving on Hwy 70 East or West, it's a must go, too. Their hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. the earlier, the better. Because once they run out of their BBQ meats, that's it. It's completely worth going. Top quality BBQ. That is what makes them a GREAT BBQ.

Great food! Since we were staying in the RV park we went over to Lonnie Q's BBQ for lunch and we were impressed. Long line of locals ordering. Not long after we placed our order, he was running out of food, but he gave out extra beans to make up for it, and later gave out Blue Ribbon Ice Cream Strawberry Shortcakes, so excellent PR! The Brisket and Cheesy Taters were particularly excellent. Highly recommend Lonnie Q's BBQ.

My co-workers treated me to Lonnie Q’s for lunch. The to go plates more than passed the weight test. They give you a lot of food. The potatoes are very tasty. The brisket has a nice smoked flavor. I can pass on the sauce. Not sure what’s in it. But otherwise the food is good!

Lonnies is delicious! Worth taking a little time off your travels and stopping here. If you missed a good barbecue in Kansas City, here’s your chance before you leave the area. They have a very simple menu, and delicious food! I had the sandwich special that comes with your choice of 1 to 3 meats and two sides and a drink. Their portions are generous and absolutely delicious! I just wanted to try the smoked turkey and he gave me a sample that was delicious. The cheesy taters are touted as “world-famous”…quite the claim, but I believe they could be if the rest of the world found out about them! Really good side of coleslaw that was excellent. Nothing fancy here… Served in the Styrofoam containers… But the food is out of this world! After all, what would you rather pay for, atmosphere and plates, or just delicious food? You get that here!

I found this great little lunch spot on my way through Kansas. I met the owner Lon, he was very quick to make sure that everyone was happy with their meal. My meal was delicious. I had a combo sandwich. And the tater side is fantastic. As well as the beans. I would suggest anyone stopping here for an early lunch. It's so good it goes quick. They currently close at 1:00 p.m..

Lonnie Q's is THE best BBQ! It is a must when we come to town each year. The restaurant is welcoming, the staff is always friendly and the quality of food is outstanding. Lonnie puts a lot of work and love into his dishes and it shows. The weekly hours are limited and/or until the food runs out so be sure to plan ahead and remember when you see the line that it is worth every minute of the wait!

The burger stand is a great and freshly made. I chose the poe boy with no bun. They put it on a bed of lettuce. Perfect! We had a large party of 11 and they allowed us to put tables together to accommodate our group. And this time servers actually came to our table to see if we needed anything. We had s grew time. Oh, and don’t forget to try the duck fat fries!

We had a great time here!! The Atmosphere was so awesome. Great service from our awesome server. The menu may be smaller then some places but the taste is absolutely worth it. No need for much else. They have some really great sauces as well that are all made in house. The Pickles on the sause bar were so good with some great seasonings. Simon you have a great place and if we make it up towards Lawrance we will definitely check out your other businesses. Thanks for such a great lunch experience. The smoke burger was so delicious and the Fries tasted sooooooo good with the bacon crumbles.

This place is the most expensive burger place I have ever been to. The burger was really bad, I ordered a medium burger and it came out nearly rare. They got my step-dad's order wrong, he wanted a hamburger, but the lady at the stand taking the order put in for a cheeseburger. Not only was this the most expensive burger place I've been too, but you had to get your own drinks, get your own food, get your own condiments. They add 15% gratuity to every check, and then have the audacity to ask you for a tip while ordering, before you even get your food.... 85 dollars for 3 adults and a kid.... Never going back there. It was awful. I have no problem getting my own stuff, but if you are asking for a tip and adding gratuity on the bill, you better be doing something to help me, which they literally did nothing.

We dined in, staff was super helpful as it appeared we didn’t know how to order etc. Ended up getting a chx sando (Barnyard Bash) and it was good. The bun was light and not like a greasy brioche bun, so that was cool. The chx was cooked well, delicious choice. Also grabbed a special, the El Royale..not like on Pulp Fiction, but this was a double patty (2x4oz), onion-bacon jam, thousand island love fest in between some bread. It was tasty, but I might have liked a full size patty in there next time. Also had some truffle fries, so rich and delicious. Compared those to the poutine fries, and the truffle fries won. Poutine isn’t easy to master! Great beer selection, lotsa local brews on draft..maybe if I had to complain, they should get a couple more blondes in the beer selection. I’ll definitely go again to this place; looks like it would be a lot of fun for a later dinner and even the trivia night.

This restaurant offers excellent burgers gourmet fries and adult beverages. Burgers are cooked to order, and are just amazing. I had a classic burger paired with bacon cheddar fries and loved it. For condiments they have seven different types of dips and house pickles. You could be a little crowded in a little noisy here. But it's worth the trouble. Edit: I have not been to this place since it relocated to Brookwood shopping center.

We had a smoke burger, the holy jalapeño made with grilled chicken and truffle fries. Everything was recommended by the gentleman behind the counter. The food was excellent we planned on taking some home but ate it all. The chicken was juicy not dry and many extra sauces available if needed. Michael was the very knowledgeable bartender who recommended a couple of local IPAs my husband enjoyed. I enjoyed the old fashioned. He just received a smoker machine and I was lucky enough to be one of the first ones to try a lightly smoked old fashioned. Oh my wish, I lived closer to the Burger Stand! I would be a regular!

WOW😱😱 haven’t lived here in 20 yrs & thought why not ck out one of the new restaurant… was very impressed by the flavors for the burgers we ordered. Very large area didn’t feel over crowded & if you want you can eat outside 👍. Have games if your feeling lucky outside ❤️. I would highly recommend stopping in & checking it out👍❤️.

Absolutely loved our visit here! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the staff is warm and attentive, and the food is phenomenal. My sandwich—cheddar, turkey, bacon, tomato, guacamole, and cilantro-lime aioli on golden sourdough—was perfection in every bite. A must-visit spot!

Stopped in for dinner and cocktails. Unique little spot. Had the special half sandwich and soup. It was excellent. Also ordered an off menu cocktail the bartender recommended (X-43). This was a perfect choice for a spring cocktail. Bourbon based but citrus forward. Ummm. Update.... Quickly becoming my favorite place for craft cocktails

The food is always so good. Came here alone for a late lunch and it was still pretty busy. Got the special - the apple bottom sammy. Such fun fall flavors put together. Had friendly service too.

My besties and I decided to eat here while enjoying First Friday in NOTO. They had Monte Cristos with pasta salad + Italian cream sodas, and I had the grilled cheese with fruit! We shared house made kettle chips with white queso and fresh tomatoes and green pepper (so peculiar but delicious!). It was easily one of the most quirky decorated places that I've been at in Topeka! My only qualm is I'd like to see more side options and things beyond sandwiches.... what other things I'm unsure of lol Also...... I AM ENAMORED WITH THE BEAUTY OF THEIR ART!!

Never met this sandwich but I ate it like I missed it. My fiance has lived in Topeka his whole life and him nor his kids have been here. I've been coming to Topeka 3 yrs and all I can think of is how many meals at the Wheelbarrow I could have eaten. EVERYTHING was delicious. The pretzels are huge and crispy and the best I've ever had. Our sandwiches are glorious. The chips are incredible. The queso is incredible. The house salad is huge and fresh. Ugggggh. I will be back. And that's not a threat, it's a promise.

Went to dinner for my birthday and it was an awesome experience the server was very fast and very friendly. Food was very good.

Monte Cristo was fantastic! Customer service was excellent, French fries were crispy hot and fresh! Chip and queso was disappointing. The queso was watery and flavorless.. but over all experience was very nice , clean, bathrooms clean as well.

I absolutely love this place, good food and entertainment for the family. I love the drinks here from the shakes to cocktails. The bartender Tiffany is the best!!

Been to this place many times, it is a must! The food is so good and the specialty drinks they have are amazing. I love that they switch up their menu from time to time and even have really cool themes for the restaurant. Never been disappointed here and always have great service. Definitely recommend stopping by here if you're visiting Topeka.

The bartender Melissa was so nice and had quick service. I sat at a table afterwards, cuz it's seat yourself. Nobody walked up to me for at least 15 minutes. Kinsley, eventually came to check if I've been served and her service was fabulous. Nice, sweet and made up for the over 15 minutes of no service. Very nice place for food n drink.

I probably was here at the wrong time. Playoff baseball and the Cubs were playing. This place was loud. I have to say the wait staff was on it though and didn't miss a thing. We came in with a large group and had the check split many ways. They nailed it. I wasn't too impressed by the food. It was ok, but nothing I couldn't get at any pub in town. They did have a great tap list and full bar.

My friends and I, from Stormont Vail, met up there for a Safety Meeting. I think there was 13 or 14 of us. I forgot the waitresses name, but she was busy taking care of all us. The food was good, the atmosphere was awesome, and as busy as the place was, you did not have to yell to have a conversation. I certainly look forward to our next meeting there.

You know you've found a special place when it consistently provides the perfect evening, and for my best friend Gabriel and me, that's Jeremiah Bullfrogs. Our preferred ritual is to head straight for their back porch. There, surrounded by the cozy warmth of the fire, we enjoy the simple luxury of smoking cigars and sipping Johnny Walker Black on the rocks, often in our favorite sport coats. The incredibly friendly waitresses always enhance the experience, making it an unforgettable escape. Highly recommended for those who appreciate quality and comfort.

Brew Bank in Topeka is a cute place to grab some light food. They have a pretty large menu that has things like 'boards' which are basically snack plates, 'breads' aka - flatbread, along with salads wraps, and sandwiches. Looks like they also have an extensive beer selection, but I opted to try the 'lacl of proof' mocktail and it was great. I ordered a half BBQ Chicken Salad and the nacho slate. The salad was good, but smaller than I expected. I would have ordered a full salad if I had known. I thought the nachos were pretty basic. There was some flavor, but the chips right out of a bag and was just a pile of broken chips. It could have been way better if the chips were house made and actually nachos instead of what looked the the bottom of a bag in the pantry. Great service, very friendly and overall it was a nice atmosphere. I liked the pop art on the walls. Especially the pic from The Sandlot!

Love, love, love the food! I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! The menu is unique as is the presentation of the meals. The flavors the mix together are incredibly creative. Everyone looks beautiful and MOST IMPORTANTLY every item I tasted and ate was Delicious!! Highly recommend!!

Was looking for a place to go after the museum and found this spot. It’s like Off The Wall, On Tap, if you been to any similar places. They give you a card that you preload money onto and take the card up and select your choice of drink. They are a non fried food establishment, and have a bit of food selection for adults and kids, from Pizza to Wraps to platters and salads. Would definitely recommend going. It's a really cool place. First time going, with a large group, and overall a great experience. Service was attentive and friendly. The brew bank is super cool - You load a card with money, then pour your own beer from the beer wall, and it's a per ounce charge until your loaded card is out of funds. A lot of KS and local beers to choose from. My Pittsburg pizza was amazing; the sauce drizzled on top pulled everything together. My only complaint is the "smoke" thing they do with the desserts. They put lids over the dishes with smoke held in at service, then they pull off the lid. I guess it's an ambiance thing, but I really don't like the smokey after-flavor of everything.

My husband LOVED his Friday night steak!! We also highly recommend their Happy Hour (3:30pm-5:30pm) - it's 10¢ off per ounce and some deals on mixed drinks and food as well! It was honestly better than we expected - we hope to be back sooner than later!!

The whole place has so much KS art, I felt like Dorothy. Even the restroom was covered in beautiful art. The food was very unique and good. I enjoyed every bite. Definitely a Topeka must try.

Was a beautiful day to day drink so we made our way down to the Brew Bank. They have a giant window that was open so it felt like we were outside. They have an amazing rotating selection of beers on tap. 26 beers and 4 wines to choose from. Plus they have some awesome cocktails. The server Alex had a bunch of art on display. She's pretty amazing. I bought two pieces. She'll be doing a live painting on first Friday. We had one of their many charcuterie boards. They are huge! Definitely a great place to pop into for a few drinks and a snack while you're enjoying Topeka.

Foods great from what I smell while I'm in there but haven't had the chance to try it yet honestly. Service is prompt and drinks have never been left empty but I give a 4 star because the bartenders are a little over eager. I play darts in the back and it's like every 5 minutes and asking if I need another drink it feels like. And I give a 3 star for atmosphere merely because the weekend nights can get kind of obnoxious with immature drunks meanwhile there's a 20yo door man with the only sole purpose is to ID at a certain time and worry 100% about the outside and If you're inside underage before they get there they don't come in to enforce anything lmao. Let me guess... cuz they're underage too. .

I went to Skinny‘s July 12 to listen to a live band that I really like. There was a cover charge, which I expected to pay. But when the bouncer looked at my drivers license and said my middle name out loud and started laughing at me, I was so disappointed in the professionalism of the staff. This continued at the bar when I bought a drink and was charged $4 and when I went back, a different bartender charged me $6 for the same exact drink. I’m not sure why some of the staff were so inconsistent and unprofessional, but it is disappointing. On top of that, I watched the doorman let people in without obviously paying but charge most others. Overall, the bar did not even create a dance floor for the live band. It was awkward in trying to dance and overall a disappointing experience with the establishment.

I had the best experience at Skinny’s yesterday. The bar was packed and I was meeting a friend for a drink after work around 5:00pm. The owner (Skinny) could see that I was searching for a table and come up to me and let me know I could sit at the end of a reserved table that only need 1/2 the table for their party. He did the same thing for a long time patron Jeanine, and we quickly became friends. I didn’t know that they had a band scheduled to play but “Crooked Kicks” were a nice bonus to the evening. The food is always delicious, the beer is ice cold, and I’ll be frequenting this bar/grill more often from now on.Thank you Skinny and friendly staff!

This place had the classic bar food. But it also has three pool tables, a juke box and a dart machine or two.

We went to Blue Moose in Topeka for Sunday brunch. We had a large group- around 20 people, with a lot of kids. Our waitress, Grace, was exceptional. She was patient with all of the kiddos and happy to give us recommendations. She was quick to get our orders in and refill our drinks. And, she got every order right and kept a smile & sweet personality the whole time! Everything was delicious! We will definitely go back!

I met a friend for drinks and appetizers and our experience was top notch. The food was good, the atmosphere was nice, but what topped the cake was our server! Jayden J. was the best! We never had to ask for anything and she offered amazing suggestions for food (except the hummus😄)! Her personality was addicting and she was just perfect in every aspect. My future visits will be dependent on whether she will be my waitress! Thank you!

Good place to relax (if you can relax while a crazy eyed blue moose watches you 😂) and enjoy eating while talking with friends. Quiet atmosphere and is easy to get to and park at. Appetizer of fried pickles was the highlight of the meal while the entree of the braised pork didn’t disappoint either. Simple items on the menu but tastes good! My friends with me said the beer sold with their $3.50 a pint deal tasted great and was an unexpected and happy surprise too!

I highly recommend their Chicken Piccata. It was really good! Won’t suggest the Shrimps Wontons or the Chicken Nachos. The Wontons were greasy and missing something.

We had an excellent meal. 2 orders of fish and chips, cooked perfect, good fries, and the sauce was good as well. It was a lot of food, and we probably could have shared 1 order. The other person in our party had the Philly cheesecake, who stated it was also very good with plenty of meat and veggies. He took home leftovers as well. Our server was fantastic, the restaurant and restroom were clean and it wasn't too noisy for a Sunday evening.

It's a nice facility. And I don't think my experience would necessarily represent well. I simply ordered an appetizer and I should have gone with the other one I was thinking about. I think it was called a shrimp roll with some kind of creamy shrimp filling. My assumption was it would be similar to crab rangoon. It wasn't. And I think I only had one piece of shrimp that was noticeably a piece of shrimp. That said our waitress was very nice, attentive and helpful. I think it would probably go back again to try something else and see if my mind would be changed. It really is a nice setting.

Maybe they were having an off night but it was not a good experience. The host complained unprofessionally in front of customers about having to seat another group outside. They were out of Prime Rib despite it being early in the evening. The KC Strip was awful. $33 for a bad steak, scoop of potatoes and 4 pieces of asparagus. No one in my family was thrilled with their meals either. The service was slow and inattentive despite not being busy at all. Fairly disappointing despite having it recommended.

I dined in on Monday after 1pm for a late lunch, and it was pretty calm in there. The server was nice – I think she was also the bartender. The food took a while to come out, but I wasn’t upset about it since I was enjoying conversation with my date and sipping on my ‘Harvey Girl’ drink. The baked beans had great flavor, but the slaw was really bland. The burnt ends and pulled pork were both extremely dry, which was disappointing. The spinach dip was good, although it didn’t come out as an appetizer – it showed up with the rest of our food. The pita chips that came with it had a stale texture. I struggled to bite through them and ended up just tearing them apart with my hands. Part of me thought maybe I’ve never had this type of bread before and didn’t know what it was supposed to taste like, but honestly, at that point, I didn’t care because I was just really hungry. The bill was around $70 for two cocktails, two entrees and an appetizer.

Stopped by here after checking out the reviews. A very nice location. Very appealing to the eye. Great and friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious. Beers were OK. Don’t get me wrong. I had a flight of them plus a different pint, but the flavor just wasn’t there for me. Maybe that’s my preference. The beers were basic and simple in flavor.

I opted for the two-meat dinner, selecting the jalapeño cheddar sausage and ribs, accompanied by a side of baked beans. While the platter was visually appealing, the ribs were unfortunately a letdown. They were tough, chewy, and dry – a far cry from the tender, moist, fall-off-the-bone ribs one hopes for. However, I'm not going to let this single dish deter me. The baked beans, on the other hand, were a delightful surprise. These aren't your typical sweet baked beans; instead, they offered a unique chili-like flavor with a distinct hint of chili powder and a pleasant smokiness. It was an unexpected and very welcome twist on a classic side. Beyond the food, Iron Rail & Brewery truly shines as a destination. The stunning murals, cohesive paint scheme, and expansive layout create an incredible ambiance. The diverse seating options, from intimate small tables and high-top communal tables to a dedicated dining room for larger parties, make it suitable for any occasion. This place has all the makings of a successful brand, and I was genuinely disappointed they didn't have merchandise like t-shirts available – I would have happily purchased one on my way out. Iron Rail & Brewery is undeniably a gem for downtown Topeka, a place the community can genuinely be proud of. The locals I spoke with couldn't praise it enough, and I can see why. Despite the less-than-perfect ribs, the overall "experience" of this place makes it a must-visit. I'm already planning my next trip to Topeka, and a return visit to Iron Rail & Brewery is definitely on my itinerary. Was it an off day for the ribs? Perhaps, but the potential and the impressive atmosphere are more than enough to warrant another try.

I’m SO glad a coworker recommended this place. We were in town for errands and decided to try it. Glad we did. The food was great and at Greaf prices. I LOVE the tie in with history. Being from Lawrence I know all about the flood of ‘51 but only how it affected Lawrencians. It was so interesting to learn about the three Locomotives (thank you for including descriptions of the murals on the websites) the murals are so interesting and are beautiful. The beer was fantastic. Tried three, came home with a Growler!

Great food, amazing craft beers (especially the Light and the Vienna), and a perfect place to relax or enjoy a meal with family. The service was outstanding — Xenya took care of us with exceptional kindness and attention. Highly recommended!

Brewery was busy when we arrived but wasn’t a long wait. Waitress seemed very nice, took our drink order and appetizer order and did not come back for some time. Never received appetizer. Then after we ordered our main courses and they arrived we never saw her again. Had to ask a bar staff member to get our check so we could leave. Food was slightly above average and a bit expensive.

We celebrated a birthday on a Sunday evening. Lexi (I hope I didn’t butcher the spelling) was our server. She was outstanding! Her food and bar menu knowledge was top notch. She was welcoming, friendly, funny, and could hold her own with a large group of veterans. Not once were we rushed in spite of closing time nearing. I would rate this as the best service we have had in Topeka. We are grateful for such a wonderful experience!

Great selection of appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees. Reasonable prices and ample portions. The place was nearly filled to capacity following the "No Kings" protest which was held two blocks away. Lots of people were there with signs. All came in shortly after the end of the protest. Food came out somewhat slowly due to the surge of orders. Wait staff weren't running but were not very far from it.

My fiance and I are from out of town and we came out here on a whim for a nice pub and I’ve been craving their voodoo fries all week to the point we drive 5 hours back! Absolutely loved the people. Very “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” vibes of people on a normal week night (but in a good way), then on the weekends all work so hard while still visibly enjoying their work. Great environment. We will be coming back ❤️

Service was slow, but polite. Fried mushrooms were delicious, as were the fries. The fish was greasy. The bangers and mash were not bangers and mash at all. It was like a middle schooler did their best attempt. Not traditional Irish food.

We went for a special day for my son's 15th birthday. The woman who seated us was very pleasant. Then we waited for over 20 minutes and didn't see a single waitress! There were maybe 10 other people in the entire restaurant! VERY poor service! I will NOT be back!

I come into the Topeka Hooters often, and the reason I keep coming back is simple — I’m always greeted and seated right away, and the staff here knows how to make you feel welcome. Tonight was another great example. My server, Kali, was absolutely on her A-game. She had a cold beer in front of me like she could read my mind — service like that is hard to find anywhere. On top of that, the manager Chad was making the rounds and creating a fun, upbeat atmosphere the entire night. You can tell he really cares about the customer experience and keeps the energy positive. This is exactly why I keep choosing this Hooters. The food and drinks are always solid, but it’s the staff that makes it feel like home. When you can walk into a place, get taken care of immediately, and feel like you belong, that’s Kali and Chad really made it another five-star visit. I’ll be back again . Never get rid of that girl !! She is the best !! 😀

I had a good time here, but was surprised at the low level of service tonight. Only two girls working with a 50% full crowd caused another girl not in typical uniform to have to come out and help. Still, I had to physically flag down our waitress when we needed drink refills as they were strapped for time. This used to be a place where the girls were encouraged to pause and visit (flirt?) at tables, but there was no time for that. Food was still good, but nothing to write home about. They need to study the menu at Twin Peaks and adapt.

I’m in town for work and have visited this bar a few times. Most nights the staff has been great, but tonight (Friday) was disappointing. The bartender spent the evening watching a TV show instead of engaging with customers, and it seemed like the manager on duty allowed it. Unfortunately, this really stood out compared to the otherwise positive experiences I’ve had here. I also brought my concerns to the manger.

First time here our server Amari was amazing. She was diligent, compassionate, and knowledgeable.

Ordered 130 dollars worth of food from this location, through the website. Food was supposed to be delivered at 10:35, said it was delivered at 10:37 through Uber and nothing was shown through my ring camera, and nothing was on my porch. The manager who was working at this location on today’s date (09/28/2025) was very rude. It was a male who I was transferred too, told me that it wasn’t his problem and out of his hands, and I had to contact DoorDash (even though it said Uber) because it was a third party delivery, even though it was through the Hooters website. He wouldn’t let me explain and continued to cut me off, with a very rude demeanor and kept repeating him self, and then tried to tell me it showed on his end it was for Pickup. Even though Hooters’ automated system sent me messages with updates and links on how to track my order. Do not recommend ever ordering take out from this location.

Pizza look like a child made it and was under cooked! Lukewarm at best. Rude unapologetic employees. Ordered online at 7:35 pm. Got a conformation for pickup at 7:52 pm showed up on time and they haven’t even started the pizza! So had to wait till 8:05 pm to get this onion loaded undercooked dough. Asked employee what’s the point of online ordering when we still have to sit here for 13 mins? I might as well just came in and ordered would’ve been quicker. No apologies nothing just rude excuses. I like pie five, but they need better employees at this location it’s a bad look for the franchise.

I’ve eaten at Pie Five numerous times. I like the set-up; it’s like Chipotle for pizza. The staff is generally good, although they can be a bit slow at times. Pizza always tastes great. They can sometimes be a little skimpy on toppings, but they are always willing to put more on if you ask them to do so. I love the fact that the pizza only takes a few minutes to cook. Makes it a nice choice on a limited lunch hour. Four out of five stars only because of slow service at times; but otherwise this would earn five out of five from me.

Our favorite stop when traveling through town. Great pizza choices that include a healthy amount (a lot) of toppings. The first place having spicy honey on my pizza. Really made it memorable. Very affordable

I ordered to go. It looked better than it tasted. I didn't like the thin crust at all and the pizza tasted bland. I also had a stomach ache after eating it. I expected more since ratings appeared to be good. I won't be reordering. Edit, 3 hrs later -- it's confirmed, this pizza gave me food poisoning!

I love pie five and was quite saddened when they started closing up all over the country. But after finding this one into Topeka, I am thrilled! Very nice and polite workers, great gluten-free pizza handled appropriately, clean atmosphere to sit at with my kids while they watched cartoons on the TV and ate awesome pizza. Fantastic. I wish that I lived closer!

I had the Chicken fried steak with white gravy, mashed potatoes and fried okra. It was truly delicious!! The service was outstanding also. I almost didn't want to leave a review because I selfishly wanted to keep this hidden gem of a down home southern cooking restaurant to myself! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!

A great lunch spot with great food and plenty of room. Go with a group here each month and always have a great time. The sandwiches, salads, chicken and sides are great. If you come on the weekend the Barbecue is worth checking out as well. Just a great little pub.

Was in Friday the food was good but I had been on their website and sure wanted chicken fried steak or taco salad which they had showed I have heard they changed hands so don't have any of these iteam anymore well they need to update their website

Very chill spot, great atmosphere and really good food at a good price! They also have pool tables and plenty of TVs for sporting events. Did I mention .75cent Tacos on Tuesday?! And Sunday as well! Also fried livers and Gizzards are a part of the menu so go check it out!

We came in almost every day for lunch during our recent two week adventure in Topeka. The staff is exceptionally friendly. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Try Terry’s if you’re in town, you will feel like family!

Food very flavorful and good, service great. Beans and rice are amazing, but grilled fish taco lacked enough fish. Loved the garlic sauce and feta cheese on the tacos. Gave a 4 because of an issue, but was taken care and lack of fish I was grilled taco. We will go back.

I have eaten there in person a few times...I'm person is way better..I had 3 different tacos and chips and was supposed to be my favorite green smushy stuff..but cheese came instead not to mad it was all tasty good forgot to take a picture of the other taco...

First time visiting this particular Fuzzy's. The location wasn't great and the parking was horrible, but the food was good. I got the 2 taco plate. Tried the shrimp taco and the new fried avocado taco. I enjoyed both. The mexi mix rice was good, but the latin fried potatoes were basic. The queso was solid and the Drunken Pig was excellent! The food was good. The forks left a metallic taste so we got plastic ones and it made a big difference. The chips seemed like they sat for awhile. I think the place needs a big update. We come from Overland Park/ Olathe area, Fuzzy’s there are more modern. The cashier Zach was cool. The place just had a different ambiance than the Fuzzy’s I’ve been in.

The food and employees at the of my visit were excelente😘👌. My friend bought me here and I couldn't believe I haven't eaten here until recently. I stopped doing Taco Bell a lot of time ago and this place is definitely a suitable replacement because everything is fresh and made to order in my opinion. If you haven't checked this place out I definitely would recommend it. 😃👍

California style Mexican food. We had the shredded chicken quesadilla and a combo platter with cheese enchilada and carnitas taco. Loved the carnitas. The enchilada was smothered in some delicious queso. The chicken in the quesadilla was flavorful and not dry. Would definitely come back! 😄

Had to change my review. After constantly getting sick after eating here, I would NOT recommend eating here. Plus they have been shut down before due to a roach infestation, which explains why I always got sick after eating there.

The "1/4 lb" hamburger got lost once you put the bun on it. But it tasted OK, the fries were completely burnt. Couldn't even eat one. Hubby had the "chips". They're made in house, let's just say they should buy lays. They need to change the oil, and turn the temp down. There was 4 other people in the bar when we ordered. We were the only ones who ordered. Also, costs nothing to clean. If you find yourself at the corner of 21st and gage, don't go here. There's KFC, schlotzky's, I mean anywhere is better.

Always great food, service, and people! I feel safe coming to Specks and love that I can bring my daughter and feel comfortable in knowing I need not worry about being messed with and just have a peaceful great tasting meal. Sometimes she gets up to sing on stage on open jam night. Always cool! We love Charlie and Andrew on the nights they are present and perform as well. Thanks Debbie for giving us a home away from home, keeping the history in the family, and open for our pleasure to eat great food and enjoy live music and enabling new talent in providing a place for them to practice.

They weren’t very busy and we were seated immediately and no one came to our table lol we sat for around 20 minutes before walking out. The tables around us were getting helped tho? Maybe we smelled bad idk. I love Johnny’s…. Just not the Topeka location. Hit up the Lawrence or KC ones!

Sunday late afternoon arrival, not busy. The food was fresh and hot. The server was friendly. Two Tank 7 burgers ordered. Each needed more sauce. I was charged 2 extra dollars for extra sauce. That made me upset, fill like I was charged for ketchup. Won't be going back anytime soon, there are other places eat. Dinner wasn't cheap, but the restaurant is.

I had to buy a bottle of their signature sauce, it's just the right amount of everything., a little spice too it, but it evened out, to the perfect barbecue sauce. .. The atmosphere was very lively, as a sports bar should be, when we first arrived, they gave us a buzzer, and said that it would be about twenty five minutes before we were seated but actually ended up taking less then that, Now I m not much of a diehard sports fanatic, but this nice take my word.

I was very disappointed they were out of skins, mozzarella sticks and Salmon. Fries and rings were cold. Tried to order 2 different sandwiches and they were out, tenderloin and short ribs. The over all experience was horrible 😫 oh and they were out of most of the soft drinks. This Johnny's is nothing compared to Kansas city location oh and the nachos was disgusting so many black olives they were over powering yuck 🤮 service was terrible and children running around no shoes on, but they were having fun though which was nice to see the smiles and hear the laughter this made me smile. By the way it was my birthday 🎂 they offered free dessert but guess what they were out.

Had a great experience here! Our drinks were delicious (not too fruity). I couldn't decide what to get so I asked the waitress to surprise me, nothing with ketchup or pickles and no pizza. She brought me a Buffalo chicken wrap (something I never would've ordered) and it was AMAZING! 10/10 recommend this place!

Nice bar/grill atmosphere. They have a large menu with plenty of options. Service was fair, but she was friendly. The kids working near the front were more busy flirting and talking than working. The food was good both times I've been.

It's a good gathering place with a sports bar atmosphere. The food portins were generous. The food specials good! The waitress could have been more experienced. Like, don't give me a big straw for a shot of Bailey's! Lol

Upon entering your greeted with a nice looking decor with a sports bar feel. The dining area is very spacious and welcoming. The wait staff were very professional, polite and friendly. The service they provided was prompt and courteous without being overbearing or clinging. Food choices on the menu ranched from top end cuisine to bar food fare. While the prices were slightly on the higher end of the scale, the food itself was average and generally what you should expect from any local bar and grill. The only two items of concern were the dirty seats at a few of the booths, and the fries were over salted and soggy not being submerged in hot enough oil or not long enough to get crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. Overall expect to pay more for average bar food but enjoy it in a very nice, well decorated and warm environment.

Omg it was amazing. The waitress was super helpful because it was our first time going. Unfortunately she didn't say how big the portions were. All I can say is bring your appetite. The cook was named Ethan, he did such a good job. He told us happy anniversary and told us to come again. I had pulled pork nachos and hubby had Odin burger. We will be going back for sure

Please like my review if it helps you! Great place to go anytime of the day. Always had great service and great food lunch time or dinner time. They have tons of TVs for watching sports. Karaoke on Tuesday nights, free play poker on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday nights several pool tables, darts, and a few video games. Outdoor lounge for those who smoke. Food specials on several nights including pretty good $1 Taco's soft or hard on Monday. Only down side is parking on the nights when the kids dance studio next door is busy... But that doesn't bother me. They do need to add a couple more handicap parking spots... I don't need it... But they only have one.

ICE COLD beer and AMAZING service. My wife and I have recently made this a regular stop... the bar keep remembered us and all but has our order ready as we arrive. Very welcoming, clean, and overall great place off the beaten path.

Kitchen was closed. Dance area was closed. Didn't have basic mixers on hand like peach schnapps. Cocktails tasted like juice without liquor. Charged my tab incorrectly. This place is going down hill. Disappointed for sure.

first visit experience was not pleasant for me. Place was over crowded, loud (both music and people), and wait staff needed some help with scheduling and time management. Fries were over seasoned, but the meal was good otherwise. Watch your drinks here: we had to send several back as alcohols were missing. If you are going to pay that much for a drink, they need to get it right. I will return to see if it all happens again before placing a final opinion.

Good sports bar in Topeka. Prices are fair, our pizza was good and the staff seems to have a good handle on the place. Nice and clean as well. Pretty fun place to go watch the game if you find yourself in the area

I like this place for the Thursday night 22 ounce craft beer $4.25 special, the tattooed clientele, the extremely interesting location, and for the burgers. Wait staff has always been good to me. Be ready for flirtatious waitresses.

We had a group of 8 and we where there for 2.5hrs. The waitress was rude, i ordered their hot wings where you had to sign a waiver never got the waiver the wings where not hot all. When my wife was ordering she asked about if she was going to be charged for sides even the menu said sides where included and then she came back and said that if we wanted to sides it would cost an extra 2.00 even though the menu said it came with sides. Then they said that there was only 2 people plus the cook. I will never step foot back in that place. Wish i could go lower in stars -5 would be best for them!!!!!!

Picked this for a reasonably priced meal before we headed home from Topeka since it is close to the turnpike. Food was really good! Service was a little slow but it is a bar and it isn't very big so it wasn't unexpected. Most of the tables are high tops so we were lucky to get the only low tables for our group. Would probably visit again.

Kind of a dive bar and grill. You gotta love these places. The wife's wings were fantastic. My pork cutlet sandwich was okay. I had to try one since I haven't seen that sandwich on a menu before. The onion rings were very good.

Oh my.... I have never had a grilled club sandwich before. It is absolutely delicious! I would come back and try many items on the menu. It's a bar, first, but with really good food and very reasonably priced. Give this place a try.

Really fun, decked out bar, considerably better than average food at less than average prices, big burgers, terrific taco platter. Not sure about service, our server who was clueless ran off to dump 2 of my buddy's 5 burritos while he just went to bathroom for a minute. Probably just one bonehead case.

Bartenders are fun. Bowling is a great time. We seem to have issues with the pinsetter every time we are there. It is a minor annoyance. It gets fixed and we move on. Thier prices are way out of control. Food, drinks and bowling shouldn't cost over $100 for two people. They even charge $1.00 for ice water!

Alot better than it used to be, I think it could use some work. But most places need work. Great people and has been worked on though, not as toxic as it was and I would definitely recommend compared to the other bowling alley in Topeka!

It's a great place to go bowl but they need to make a dedicated room for people to put their bowling equipment and in front of the ATM is certainly not one of them. I couldn't get to it without moving someone's bowling bag. This is just going to cause problems if one of the bowlers thinks someone is trying to steal their equipment.

Very busy bowling alley, and is well ran and maintenance appears to be good on the lanes. Only wish they could speed up the kitchen area for food and drinks.

We had a wonderful family gathering at this gem of a Mexican restaurant in Wichita! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff was welcoming and attentive, they made sure our large group was comfortable and well taken care of. They kept brining the chips and dip. The food? Absolutely delicious. The fajita taco bowl was a standout—the shell is awesome. Every bite was a reminder of how good authentic Mexican food can be. The menu had something for everyone, from the kids to the grandparents. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and a welcoming place to bring the whole family. We’ll definitely be back!

Their salsa is amazing. That is always a good sign. I ordered the tacos norteños, no surprise there. Very well seasoned, onions and cilantro came on the side so I could add to taste. Hubby ordered the burrito Conquistador. He enjoyed it. Very well decorated, open, good size space. This would work well for birthdays or gatherings. If you ever find yourself in North Topeka, this is a must!!!

The food here is amazing. Our family goes here often and we really enjoy everything we've tried so far. The building is aesthetically pleasing inside and out. It feels like an Adobe pueblo based on the architecture of the building and the decor. There is a patio out back that is on the smaller side but is very nice to use in mild weather. The owner and his wife are often seen working in the restaurant, and they are very friendly and make the restaurant very welcoming to families. They will often hand out buckets to the kids after meals, which our kids always love. The only thing I see that needs improvement is that the service in the evenings is sometimes slow, and we often are finished and waiting for our check for a while before it comes. Overall, though, this is one of our favorite Topeka restaurants.

Only one other person in there and had to hunt down waitress twice. I ordered taco and a margarita she didn’t bring any hot sauce and never came back with a bill. Kinda weird owners just kinda hanging out by the bar with their kid ignoring everyone and everything around them. The place is dingy and not very clean and definitely not friendly. The taco and sauce was good hence the two stars.

Our bill came to over $100 for just two people—when it’s normally $50–$60 for the same kind of order. After checking the receipt, we realized they had increased drink prices by over $10 per drink without saying a word. Even worse, we looked back at the menu and saw that they had literally blacked out the prices with a Sharpie. No updated prices, no notice, no transparency. We understand that prices can change, but sneaking in huge markups and hiding them feels incredibly shady. If you’re going to charge top-shelf prices, at least be honest about it. Sadly, this experience has completely changed how we feel about this place. We won’t be back.

Smelled like sewer walking in. Wasn't like this last week so hopefully not a new normal. Staff nice and friendly. Not everyone speaks English but if an issue, manager clears it up. Mostly my fault for ordering special things and not being local. Place was clean and food was good.

Atmosphere, the bar was empty, so there was no atmosphere to observe Service was horrible because I got yelled at because they got my order wrong I’m going to say the food also must’ve been horrible because I didn’t get to try it because of the rude service will never fine here again horrible place even had a kid sitting be his the counter of liquor 1 out of 10 do not recommend

Since the manager they have now has been there the place has become horrible, she doesn't know what she is doing let alone how to keep or treat her staff as the owner who brings her dogs in just sits by and lets it all happen. The service isn't very well either. Their kitchen might be the only good thing there as long as you don't end up with dog hair in your food.

Seem to only cater to one type of crowd, if your not into the cowboy and biker atmosphere this will be the bane of your existence. Drinks were good not great overall it was clean not very much going on but a bunch of 50 yo SITTING around reliving the glory days.

Great little neighborhood bar! Staff is very friendly and Marshall we t out of his way to see that we were well taken care of. Great beers on tap and good burgers and atmosphere round this place out. I think we found our new haunt sin removing to the westside!

This is the coolest bar in the entire state of Kansas. Come to this bar, Sam the onion woman and Danielle, the beautiful bartenders, will treat you like family! The vibes and the service are incredible. We and my girlfriend are from Texas And we went to every other bar in the city that was open till 2:00 a.m. THIS IS THE BEST ONE! COME HERE AND TIP YOUR BARTENDERS 1 BILLION DOLLARS PER DRINK!

The first time I went was great, however the last time I went unfortunately probably will be the last. My friend and I got charged $19 for 2 drinks served in solo cups that didn't even taste like what we ordered. I'm no expert but I do know that liquid Marijuanas are a pineapple drink, not supposed to be made of 75% orange juice. Not being able to get a decent drink and the non locking doors for the bathrooms made for a very unpleasant experience.

Great karaoke spot! Bartenders are amazing. The owner was down to earth and it was an all around great experience. I will definitely be coming back, as well as fully recommending this bar to anyone. Drink prices are also reasonable, and their pour is fair. Also recommended for local bands. The only downside is that the entry is a bit misleading. You enter at the back of the building. Otherwise this is my favorite bar.

I would love to tell you that this is the best place in town, but that would mean there was any other place in town to be. Karaoke pretty much every night. Live music on the regular. Gather, everyone!

Hailey and her fellow bartenders were cool people. Hailey specifically handles karaoke of Thrusday and the sound systems for live music on Friday and Saturday. Karaoke here was my favorite part of visiting family in Topeka. Naturally, the drinks were cheap, and the crowd was great for a dive bar

It was my first time and it totally met my expectations! The bartender/server was absolutely amazing!! The food was delicious and very flavorful. Will definitely go back again to try other food items! Oh and the price not bad at all!!

Wanted to try a new place when we found this one. Ordered the Fish Bites, Fried Pickles and the Reuben. Fried pickles are a must try! The fish was cooked perfectly and very tasty. My wife is a big Reuben fan and loved her sandwich. Nice little bar and grill. Definitely worth a stop.

Nice neighborhood bar and grill. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. They offered a few local beers and we chose two different IPAs that each had its own high points. Then we ordered the Friday fish special. Tasty catfish with hand-cut fries and slaw. It was all good except I’m not a fan of their vinegar-forward slaw. My wife likes it though. For sitting outside, we had very good service. We’ll go back for a drink or sandwich.

We stopped for the first time today. We live in the Wichita area, doing a road trip. Food was delicious, our waitress was great, the only one working, and at 3 in the afternoon they were busy!! She did a great job. We will definitely stop again.😋☮😃

Normally we have a good time and great service but this time. But we had 10 people, and it was a Friday night, and it was my husband's birthday. Everyone's food came out, and my husband and I came out about 10 to 15 minutes later. Which normally doesn't happen, but we still enjoy going there.

Ate here for the first time today. The setting is very nice and clean. Service was exceptional and the food, outstanding. We will make this a regular place to get a bite to eat. Great place. Keep it up.

This place is great! Im sad i dont live here. But we will come again! The samples of barbeque were great as was the beer! The purebred porter was my favorite out of the flight. My husband loved the mango mutt! The dog pen looks awesome. I wish i had brought my pups to visit.

Very nice brewery offering many beer and cocktail selections. They are dog friendly, we had 5 dogs with us and all were treat nice by staff and even given a pumpkin puree / whipcream plate! Fun place to visit for a drink or watch some sports and hang out.

We enjoyed our visit. The staff was great and they had some nice beers. There was ample parking and seating (indoors and out). It was easy to get to from the interstate. They are also a Harvest Host.

What a cool spot! My brother and I took my puppy for some socialization (both for my puppy and for us) and we ended up staying for hours. It looks like there are a ton of events going on during different weeknights and has something for everyone. I really appreciate that was was dog-friendly!

Such a cool place. Decor is outstanding. There is a lot going on at this place. Regular food trucks. Live music. Big screen TVs for your favorite sporting event. Cocktails, mocktails, and micro brew varieties. Really neat bar. I found a hidden red Fox in it.

Very interesting place. I would have never known it was there other than my wife found some event on Facebook she wanted to go to. Nice enough staff but they were struggling to figure out how to run the event. Ran out of bread on a brat event. Food served in grease absorbance trays meant for French fry cooking. IMHO, the band was way, way too loud as almost everyone was sitting outside so they could talk. I'd go again for sure, just wasn't an A+ kinda day this time.

THEY DO NOT USE GLOVES WHEN HANDLING FOOD!! The burger I had tasted like grease, it didn't really taste like a burger should. Fries were overcooked. When I asked for fries that weren't, I got attitude from the server. I do not recommend this place to eat.

Update : Burrito so spicy 🌶 I could not eat. There was no mention from server that it was spicy. It's not much to look at but the table, restroom and floors were clean! They serve cold beer great mushroom swiss hamburger with the best fries. "I'll Be Back"

Food always is exceptional! Mini tacos are really good, and the beef burrito I ordered was FANTASTIC!!! it was like 5$!! Worth every penny!!! The service is amazing!! It's just a great place to drink with amazingly better food than expected

Terrible service. Terrible food. Everything is over cooked. I'd give them zero if I could. The building is old and never updated. Terrible atmosphere, no music, no people. If you're not a 50+ regular who spends no money, then don't bother. They don't want to be a good bar, they just want to do the bare minimum.

I went in for what has traditionally been a welcome place with a warm Irish bite on St. Patrick’s day, but was refused service because I previously wrote a critical review. I don’t remember what I wrote before, my review apparently isn’t up anymore, but it must have been the painful truth. Oscar’s shot at redemption is limited to this terse assessment: Rude employee, filthy chairs, mostly empty on St. Patrick’s Day. I’ll compliment the bartender for holding a grudge longer than most can remember an order. Oh well. Happy St. Patrick’s day. I guess I’ll go to Ryan’s Pub for a bit of corned beef.

I arrived in Topeka for the first time and found Oscar's or did Oscar's find me?!?! The bartender (Sunday 12/1) was amazing, friendly and enough banter to keep you laughing. The locals were welcoming and engaging and they seem to like sarcasm and banter. Between the staff and locals I felt like I lived in Topeka all my life and this was MY regular place. I had the a bacon cheeseburger and fries and very tasty (no limp fries, nice and crispy), the burger was an amazing dive bar burger! It's a friendly place so like in New Orleans only one rule - Be Nice or Go Home. And if its busy and you order food just know the bartender is the chef too at times so use patience (I received my food - fast) and like I always recommend, Tip the staff and bartender is nice and they will take care of you. OH, and the locals if you are new will guide you on places to go and NOT go, like a good neighbor. Thank you Oscar's Family for a wonderful visit!!! Cheers l'éléphant

Great small Irish pub for drinks. Dart board and pool table for games. TV's for watching the game. They have a Chiefs special too. Fantastic pub.

we had a big guy and a short woman who were both unprofessional and could not keep the bar clean. it is sticky, disgusting and when I asked for a towel to clean this up, the short woman threw it at my husband and walked away. this is why people don’t want to go out anymore, get better staff

Ryan’s pub is such a friendly little neighborhood Irish Pub. When you go in, the regulars make you feel like you are one of them! Friendly staff and affordable drinks! I wasn’t sure how to rate the food as I’ve never tasted it, but if you are looking for a drink with friends, a game of pool, and total control of the jukebox, this is the place!!

Place had good service however the bartender Lindsey was rude beyond belief. Our pub crawl was treated with so much disrespect!

Me and my buddies have been regulars at this bar for about 3 years now. Tara, Crystal, Fox and the entire staff are amazing. They pour wonderful drinks, treat everyone with respect and maintain the communal feeling that’s projected. The bartenders need a raise because they are amazing! We will continue to be patrons of this fine establishment, mainly because of the love and respect from Tara and Crystal!!

It surprises me that this place is still open... Then again there is nothing to do in this town. I don't even know where to start. Last night came in around 11. Bartender took about 10 minutes to get to me when she had about 3 people at the bar and a few people around the tables. She spent half that time just looking at her phone. She finally gets to me with the worst attitude I have ever seen from any bartender and gets even more annoyed when I asked her for a mixed drink. I personally don't know how this lady still has a job here. The other bartenders I've seen here have amazing attitudes, even when they're getting slammed. You should know what to expect when working at a bar... Worst service ever from that specific bartender.

First the food was expensive for the quality, over $62, there were four in our party. Two had ribs and there were splinter bones in several pieces! The turkey was all dark meat after I was told I could have white, I don't like dark meat so had the whole pile on the side of my plate and the waitress never asked if there was a problem. Another person in our party gave me chunks of her chicken so at least I could make a sandwich to go with my coleslaw. Couldn't wait to get home and fix myself a whole meal! My husband ended up giving our leftovers to the dogs and he Loves ribs but thought they were the worst he'd had. The music was really loud so with only 4 people we were yelling to hear each other, seats are really uncomfortable too. Our waitress warmed up but she was pretty cold to start and the place only had 2 other customers (now we know why!). No one of us was pleased with our meals....a real disappointment and we do not plan to go back. Also, couldn't find anywhere to make a complaint directly to the restaurant except to call them.

We arrived at Boss Hawgs and the server didn't even look like he was the server(no uniform or name tag). It took him about 10 minutes to greet us and then another 10 just to get our drinks. After staring at our menus, he then informs us that they are out of ribs! The one thing that we wanted. We finally ordered and he brought me the wrong side with my meal, and brought us unsweetened tea (we ordered sweet). He was the only server working that side of the restaurant and the other side (bar side) was loud and the waitresses only seemed concerned with the latest gossip. I gave this establishment 2 stars because the brisket was good but everything else sucked. Oh and our server wore too much cologne.

Wonderful PORK BBQ SLIDERS! Would have been happier, if they would have offered ribs. Turns out I got there too late, they only could sell off an appetizer menu. Sherry, server was friendly, & quick service. Tried Margarita. A bit sour. Over all. I'd return in a heartbeat!

Very poorly run restaurant apparently no management present. Staff standing around playing and having a good time. Food cold, meat no flavor at all. My wife was very offended by some waiter standing at end of bar grabbing his package as if needing a shower while she tried to eat. When trying to settle up the check, waitress bouncing around playing with staff members while we waited for her to return our credit card. Will NEVER return to this establishment. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this place for BBQ.

I went to this establishment at about 1pm on a Thursday, so not much of a crowd to jostle through. The wait staff was very polite and proffessional, but without losing any of the friendliness such attributes tend to stifle. The menu was mislabeled and listed Pepsi products, the waitress had to list the Coke products, but beyond that the menu was well laid out, giving brief but detailed descriptions of the main items. I chose the briskit with sauteed vegetables and pasta salad as the sides. The meat was fantastic, cooked to perfection and paired well with the sweet bbq sauce. The vegetables were broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower and were as expected (if a restaurant manages to cook basic veggies poorly, they are in dire straits). The pasta salad was incredibly bland, I had been told it was a vinagrette sauce but it had almost no flavour to it. When the waitress asked how everything was, she did offer to provide a separate side to replace the pasta, but I was quite full and declined; the offer was appreciated, however. Price-wise, the meal was definitely worth the amount- any more and they would be ripping the customers off, any less and they would be undervaluing their product. If you enjoy barbecue in a familial setting with excellent service, I highly recommend this establishment. Just avoid the pasta.

The food was cold and when I got to eating my salad I had one of the ticket orders in in so there for I lost my apatite and the steak fries weren't cooked properly. The waitress did a little mess up when I wanted sweet tea and I got regular unsweetened tea. I didn't like that the staff were wondering around including the kitchen staff, I mean don't they have other things to do in the kitchen.

I went to this place for the first time last week and I loved it. The atmosphere is very nice with lots of seating, they have a dining room and a bar area. I ordered the pulled pork with sweet potato fries and cole slaw. The pork was so soft and juicy, it tasted great. The sweet potato fries were the best I've had in years. Yummy. The cole slaw was ok, not as creamy as I like, but that's my personal preference. And the prices were very reasonable, my meal was around $10 without tax. I will be going back for more pork and sweet potato fries. (The waitresses were also very nice.)

Ive been here a couple times and made sure to myself to try different things each time. Their dill grilled chicken sandwich was juicy. Shrimp tacos and fried calamari were great along with the potato wedges. Only outlier was the brisket burger, patties being more reminiscent of pre-cooked than fresh beef. I couldn’t recommend enough though what i did enjoy

Very nice and pleasant atmosphere and the beers are great! The food and friendly staff really ahone through tho the two times we've visited. Staff always kept our mugs and bellies full! Highly recommend anything on the menu literally anything lol. The meatball Sammy and pork cutlet Sammy are really on point and the beet chips are just melt in your mouth. Their old fashioned are expertly crafted as well and are a must try. Highly recommend both locations with an Odin's one eye PA!

I really wanted to like this place. I came across this place accidently, but had loved my food/experience at their other location. I was so excited this one was close to my house. We planned a date and went there on Saturday around 6:30. It was surprisingly empty. I figured a nice restaurant in a nice neighborhood would of been packed since there is nothing else around. I think I found out why. The decor is confusing. The whole viking/lake vibe was not cutting it. It was just weird. We sat down, ordered some cream ales. They tasted and looked like lake water. And I LOVE cream ales!! I was really disappointed. It seemed like they were out of several beers and food items. The reuben bites were ok. The prime rib sandwich should of been better. But the beet chips were pretty good/interesting. Our waitress was kind enough to bring us out a sample. To summarize, this place could be amazing and drawing in large crowds. I feel like management isn't managing.

First time here... And this Smoked Salmon sandwich....😋😋😋😋OMGeeeeeeee was soooooooooo good... And the House chips 🤯🤯🤯😋😋😋...soooo good. Don't know if I'll try anything else because this will be my go to.... lol

We stopped in late after a difficult evening. Staff was exceptionally welcoming. We had some appetizers, swedish meatballs and shrimp tacos. They were both delicious. Those shrimp tacos were the best I have had is ages! The meatballs had just a hint of caraway and served on mashed potatoes. Food was hot and served quickly. We'll be back!

Went for lunch, and it's been a long time since I had a tomato based stroganoff, and the one I got here was made to perfection. The service was wonderful as our soft drinks never got empty. I'm definitely adding this to my list of first choice dining locations.

Went there a few times since it was walking distance from the hotel. Was very happy both times. Wait staff was awesome and food was good! $18 (with tip) for a fresh made burger, a coke and fries is a heck of a deal! Had steak the next night and it was delicious. Great team there!

We had such a great experience tonight. We were immediately seated and everyone was SO friendly. Our server was Emily, she was very kind and was on top of everything. Evan was also a pleasure to speak with and ensured everything was perfect for our family of 6.

My salmon was very dry, my corn on the cob was not delivered, the cheese fries were an over cooked mess. There were two other orders; chicken crispers, another order of chicken crispers, chips and dip NO BEVERAGES ORDERED. With a doordash delivery these limited items (in poor condition) cost me $114.00 a horribly overpriced, disappointing dinner. The delivery added a ridiculous additional cost in fees and tip.

Ordered via Door Dash. Rice was not cooked anll the way, over seasoned and still hard. Chips were smashed all to hell. Called Chili’s since the food prep/temp is not a Door Dash issue. Manager made it clear they couldn’t do anything and we would have to call Door Dash. Just another reason as to why we haven’t eaten there in years. Still crappy food and poor customer service to address CHILI’s issue. We won’t be ordering from there again.

Worst experience ever, came here for dinner, sat at the bar ordered my drink from the main bartender and the other bartender, stacked a bunch of dirty glassware directly in front of me. Immediately lost my appetite and won’t come back. Complete lack of respect for a guest to have that done.

They were not that busy and seemed to have enough help however the service was extremely slow. Our waitress was very friendly but we did not get our order in a timely manner and often had to search to ask for things such as drinks and side items, and sometimes we had to ask more than once. The food was as expected for Chili's. Not amazing but nothing to complain about.

Also, the cheese was tossed onto it in a clump & you could tell the dish sat a while since it all melted into 1 glump. They apologized about the wait, I get it as I’ve been in the industry myself. This just wasn’t a good showing.
