Restaurant
Cafe Amelie is a charming restaurant located in the French Quarter, offering an elegant contemporary Louisiana menu. The highlight of this spot is its lush courtyard with a beautiful fountain, making it a romantic and picturesque dining setting. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor dining areas, with the historic courtyard being particularly popular for its ambiance.
The food was very delicious! This place was definitely one of our favorites in the area. The flavors in every bite make you wish for more, and the staff was great. The patio is absolutely inviting, surrounded by beautiful plants that make you feel relaxed and at home. Inside, it’s super cozy with lots of paintings that add a warm, artistic touch. Be sure to try the shrimp and grits, they’re mouthwatering! Don’t forget to stop by!

food was absolutely delectable! the shrimp and grits were packed with so much flavor, this is a must try for sure. the ricotta and peach was also very tasty, with the spicy cheese and fresh peaches. the potatoes were okay, nothing crazy. service was slow and food took quite a while. the decor is super cute and overall would recommend!
Gelek T — Google review
The main reason I came to NOLA this year with my friends was to eat at Cafe Amelie. I must do it each time I visit. When I first visited the establishment years and years ago, I fell in love with the courtyard and the vibe it provided... Especially with the fountain. To my surprise, the restaurant moved and no longer has the beautiful courtyard. However they do have a cute little outdoor area in the back. But it's not the same :/ I hope they re-form in the previous location. Food was great. As always.

This was SOOOO good. I mean we knew going into it it was going to be that way bc they were PACKED on Sunday night. Had the chicken breast entree and it was perfect and they’re reputable for it and for right reasons! Also the spinach artichoke dip was good for appetizer. I missed entree pic and mocktail but mocktail was great too and not like sugary but tasted great.
Vimal P — Google review
I’d been wanting to try Café Amelie for a while, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food and service were fantastic from start to finish. The courtyard was beautifully decorated for Halloween, and all the staff were in full clown makeup—it added such a fun, festive touch without taking away from the great dining experience. Food and drinks were both on point. The house special blackberry whiskey cocktail was a standout. The beet salad and BLT were excellent, and the pork sandwich—the cochon—was absolutely loaded with tender, flavorful pork. Perfect mix of charm, creativity, and great food. Definitely worth the wait!

I am still sitting in the restaurant and had to leave a review! The food here is SO GOOD! I wanted some real shrimp and grits as we can’t get it in northern Indiana. It was delicious! And my husband had the chicken, which he loved, and an affogato, which you can’t get many places. The cafe is adorable and the staff is super nice. Highly recommend!

Didn’t have a reservation but got seated right away. Cozy atmosphere and stylish, with wait staff very helpful. Tastes were out of this world wonderful.

I came from New York to celebrate my birthday here in NOLA I chose Cafe Amelie for my birthday dinner and it was great , it passed my expectations. Staff were very attentive at all times, food tastes so delicious. Our water was Alex( I believe that is how you spell it older lady with glasses) but she was super amazing, so kind she really ended my day beautifully teaching me about the beautiful culture here in New Orleans.

French restaurant
Restaurant
Herbsaint is an upscale restaurant offering a blend of French and American cuisine in a sophisticated yet relaxed setting with views of St. Charles Avenue. Chef Donald Link, known for his other successful restaurants, presents modern French dishes that are robust and flavorful. The kitchen, led by chef de cuisine Rebecca Wilcomb, serves inspired small plates such as Louisiana shrimp with roasted chili grits and housemade pastas like spaghetti with guanciale and fried-poached farm egg.
Great service and great food. We ordered the duck leg and wagyu bavette. My goodness one of the best duck legs I’ve had. The rice that comes along with it was amazing too. I would order it again and definitely recommend! The wagyu bavette was also good, but not as good as the duck leg. It had good flavors and the fries that come on the side were homemade and salty. We were also given complimentary bread with very soft butter. Lastly, we ordered the banana tart which was warm and soft and had great flavors as well. I would definitely recommend making a reservation. We came in around 7:40pm without one and waited for 20 minutes. Not a bad wait at all but for future visits we would make a reservation.

We enjoyed our dining experience at Herbsaint, but fair warning—it’s noisy. If you can block out the noise and focus on the food, it’s worth it. The food is truly delicious. I ordered the special: halibut with sautéed cherry tomatoes and okra. The fish was seared crispy on the outside, though my first serving was overcooked. They immediately made it right with a complimentary bowl of gazpacho soup islanded around the most delicious crab salad. The second plate of halibut was perfection and came with a sincere apology. My husband ordered the duck and the alligator bites, which were tender, flavorful, and gone in seconds. We also tried the gumbo and the fried green tomatoes—both classic Southern staples elevated to a whole new level. The gumbo had that slow-cooked depth of flavor you crave, and the fried green tomatoes were perfectly crisp with just the right tang. One tip: Herbsaint is definitely a date-night spot, not the place to bring babies or little kids.

This place was incredible. One of the best meals I’ve had in while!! Our servers Skip and Chris were lovely to talk to and we went with their recommendations for everything we ate - we loved every bite. I want to try more of the menu, I’m sure it’s all just as good! You have to get the watermelon gazpacho and the gem lettuce!

Herbsaint: A Must-Visit in New Orleans! One of the most delicious meals I’ve had in New Orleans hands down! Everything, and I mean everything, was absolutely incredible. From the craft cocktails to the perfectly cooked steak and dessert, every bite was bursting with flavor and made with care. The service was immaculate, attentive without being overbearing, and the entire team made us feel so welcomed. The ambience was warm, lively, and inviting the kind of place that makes you want to linger just a little longer. If you’re in New Orleans, Herbsaint is a 10/10 experience that truly captures the city’s culinary soul. Highly recommend! 🍸🥩🍰✨

Phenomenal menu, excellent service, well-crafted cocktails, and a decent atmosphere for the best dinner in New Orleans.

Make a reservation, it's worth it. Muscovy Roasted duck leg: delicate, moist, great flavor with an orange sauce on a bed of rice. Fell right the bone Wagu bavette: med rare, more rare. Only 6 slices but perfectly cooked. Served with fries that were crispy on the outside and soft inside. Dessert: banana brown butter tart ala mode. Wonderful! We had the bartender make us non-alcoholic drinks they have a house pomegranate drink with trying. We had the best service. The kitchen was backed up and we were offered free drinks and comped our dessert. It was a bit crowded so be prepared to be close to other guests.

We went for a 60th birthday celebration. The food was incredible and the service was incredible too. We had the crudo, the short ribs and the duck. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate cake and the Mont Blanc. Every bite was absolutely delicious. Even the signature mocktail was so tasty. I highly recommend.

Solo traveler here. Sat at the bar and had an amazing meal. Started with a sauteed oyster mushroom dish that was killer paired with my delicious old fashioned. I also had the spaghetti which was amazing! Bravo to these lovely flavors. Service was great as well, very busy place would reccommend a reservation.

Dat Dog is a local chain known for its vibrant and colorful locations, offering a variety of gourmet hot dogs, veggie dogs, sausages, fries, and shakes. Since its humble beginnings as a small hot dog stand in 2011, it has expanded to four locations across New Orleans. The menu features creative hot dog experiences such as the Crawfish Etoufee Dog made with crawfish sausage and the Guinness Special with Irish Guinness sausage.
This place is AWESOME! You have got to try the alligator sausage, the Rougarou! We also had the Shrimp Rich Boy with popcorn shrimp and horseradish sauce! Flavor explosion! Staff was friendly and the place is colorfully decorated .
Christina W — Google review
This was our first stop in NOLA because it was late and they were open later than most spots. I love that they had vegan options. I had the vegan banger which was good. Etouffe fries were not what I expected. A little crispier than we would’ve liked (and I actually like my fries crispy) My kids eat basic so the lil beefy was a basic hotdog perfect for them. My teenager liked her grilled chicken sandwich. My hubby liked his cheesy bacon ranch fries and rougarou and the local beer jucifer. My mom and youngest daughter said the shrimp was fried too hard so she didn’t eat her poboy. Great service from the guys working there. My family of 6 ate for about $20 a person.
Marlana C — Google review
We got the Chicago dog and the flying pig. Both were great! I thought the fries were way too crispy and oily but the partner liked them. Atmosphere is pretty cool. A few booths and a bar to sit at with lots of alcohol options. The staff is kind of just hanging around, in the way sometimes. But quick to clean up and/ or serve you.
Angelica H — Google review
Went here tonight after finally arriving for our honeymoon. Food was AWESOME!! I got the etoufee dog and my husband got the son of a saint dog which a portion of proceeds goes to the children’s hospital! So delicious and the staff was very kind and helpful! Definitely recommend making the stop here.
Kadence M — Google review
One hour wait for 2 hotdogs! I mean, the hotdogs are great, but... one hour wait? Go to the upstairs bar. Much quicker service.
Nelly B — Google review
The hot dog was tasty and perfectly fresh made. It lasts a bit long and the inner side is not as funny created than the windows. Also it was the first time in this franchise zo I can not compare it, but all of us we enjoy the dog.

Lively, loud music, happy and friendly staff. The best brat I have ever had, hands down! Plenty of variety. SO GOOD!! Highly recommended.
Shannon S — Google review
It's always one of the best places to eat in the city. Plus, it's on frenchmen street. It's just the coolest spot. I took my girlfriend there for her first time yesterday and she thoroughly enjoyed it. The only slight letdown was when I asked if they had all the makings for a Paloma, and she told me no, but upon looking, they did or least a bastardized one. Grapefruit juice works just fine. Will always be back there though.

Coffee shop

Cafe Du Monde is a must-visit destination in New Orleans, renowned for its delicious café au laits and iconic beignets since 1862. This charming café draws both locals and tourists alike, who flock to savor the melt-in-your-mouth pastries dusted with powdered sugar. While some may opt for the glitz of nearby casinos, many prefer the laid-back atmosphere of Cafe Du Monde, where they can enjoy their treats amidst the vibrant energy of the city.
Cafe Du Monde: Where Touristy Transcends into Timeless Yes, yes, I know. Nothing screams “I Googled ‘must-eat in New Orleans’” louder than Cafe Du Monde. It’s the Eiffel Tower of fried dough. The Statue of Liberty of chicory. The Times Square of powdered sugar. But hear me out: sometimes the cliché is a classic for a reason. We came for the beignets and chicory coffee, and left with powdered sugar in our hair, hearts full, and a renewed belief in the magic of the obvious. The beignets? Pillowy, golden, and unapologetically dusted like they were trying to erase all memory of low-carb living. Each bite was a soft jazz solo, sweet, warm, and just a little bit cheeky. The chicory latte? Earthy, bold, and comforting, like a hug from a caffeinated swamp witch who’s seen things and wants you to know it’ll all be okay. And despite the reputation for lines longer than a CVS receipt, we walked right in. No wait. No chaos. Just a table, a tray, and the kind of service that says, “We’ve done this a million times, and we still care.” Our server was swift, kind, and knew exactly how to wield a tray of beignets like a seasoned pastry ninja. Outside, the sky opened up in a theatrical downpour, because of course it did. Our last hours in New Orleans deserved a dramatic curtain call. And right on cue, a saxophone player appeared under the awning, playing something smooth and wistful, like the soundtrack to a sepia-toned montage of love and powdered sugar. My wife and I sat there, sipping, smiling, and silently agreeing that this was the kind of moment you don’t try to improve. You just live it. Was it touristy? Absolutely. But it was also excellent. And if excellence happens to come with a side of mass appeal and a gift shop, so be it. I’ll take it. We’ll be back. Not just for the beignets, but for the reminder that sometimes the most obvious choice is also the most delicious. And next time, I might even wear white, just to see how much powdered sugar I can get away with.
Maciek M — Google review
We visited Café Du Monde at the iconic Jackson Square location, having read all the positive reviews about their beignets. Location & Food (3/5 Stars): The location is unbeatable—right next to Jackson Square. The beignets were, as advertised, very good and a must-try New Orleans dessert. The coffee was fine, standard New Orleans coffee. Service (0/5 Stars): This is where the experience falls apart. Our server approached and immediately asked, "Do you guys want beignets? How many?" and then rudely walked away mid-sentence before we could finish deciding. The attitude was appalling. Even after we did place our order (two of the same item), she was so inattentive that she misunderstood a simple request and brought us two different versions. While not a major issue, it was yet another clear indication of her lack of focus. We waited 5-10 minutes for her return. I observed similar rude, dismissive behavior from servers at other tables. To top it off, after dropping off the order, our server waited right next to our table explicitly for a tip despite the terrible service. Practical & Legal Concerns: 1- CASH ONLY: Be prepared. This is a cash-only place. 2-No Receipts: A major concern is that they do not issue receipts, even when requested. This, combined with the servers constantly walking around counting wads of cash, suggests they may not be properly reporting their earnings and could be operating illegally. This is highly unprofessional and tacky. Conclusion: While the beignets are a New Orleans staple, I would never suggest a friend go here. The combination of rude service and shady business practices outweighs the historic location and decent food. There are plenty of other fantastic local spots to get beignets and coffee with an infinitely better experience.
Alper Y — Google review
Definitely the iconic spot it is heralded for. Beignets were amazing. The frozen café au lait is a perfect pairing. The jazz music outside really sets a vibe for the puffs of powdered sugar as you bite into your Beignets. Its the standard and sets the bar. Start here and then try the others. Seat yourself and someone will come to you. Sometimes that takes longer than you want. Cash only but open 24hrs!!!
Ray P — Google review
What can you say about Café Du Monde? It’s iconic for a reason. The beignets are absolutely incredible — hot, fresh, perfectly crisp on the outside with a light, airy chew on the inside, and piled high with powdered sugar. I went on a busy Sunday morning and was lucky to get a seat right away, and the service was surprisingly quick given how chaotic it can get. The restaurant is very casual and crowded, with cramped tables and chairs, and the waitstaff are constantly on the move. The restrooms are limited and not the nicest, but it’s a casual spot, and the prices reflect that. I was so impressed that I went back the next day — these beignets are truly worth a visit to New Orleans on their own. I’ve been dreaming about them for years, and they exceeded every expectation. Absolutely phenomenal. 100% recommend to anyone visiting the city.
Chloe — Google review
Heads up : it’s cash only, no cards accepted! That said, this place is a true New Orleans classic. Super retro vibe, often with live musicians playing nearby, which makes the whole experience even better. And the beignets? Wowwww! absolutely delicious! Of course we recommend it!
Sabrina S — Google review
We had to visit cafe de monde, it is an institution. Super busy any time of day. Beignets are related to donuts, but not as flavorful. They are covered with heap of powered sugar, so they very messy. I saw very few people that were not covered with white powder. To stay relatively clean you have to shake off the powder first, you still get a lot of sweetness as some of it heats up and melts onto the dough. The bathroom experience was memorable. There is a long line, and there is a bathroom director who tells the next person to enter one of two bathrooms (both are either/or ) bathroom. They are the size of the air plane bathroom, dirty, with wet floor. There are no paper towels, but one can use toilet paper to dry the hands. It is an experience I will remember. P.s. cash only. A plate with thee and 2 coffees were 15 dollars.
Julie's B — Google review
Cafe Du Monde is the quintessential touristy place of New Orleans. If you don't visit, did you even go to The Big Easy? Beignets and coffee are the name of the game here. The beignets are coated with enough powdered sugar to tempt the Narcotics Unit to throw you behind bars. Will you find better tasting beignets in the area? For sure. But will you eat them in a place as historical and nostalgic as the city itself? Heck no! The main thing to know is this place is cash only. Also, you can purchase one of the server hats and get the cheapest souvenir in the French Market. I've eaten here early morning and late at night, and it's truly a toss-up on which vibes I liked better. In the end, you can't go wrong.
Dalton A — Google review
I've long heard that you have to get there SUPER early to get in line to get beignets. We went here twice and did not have to wait either time to sit down. I figured it was time of year or time of day (once was around dinner time in the evening and the other was around mid-day). Service was quick and the beignets were delicious as was the cafe au lait. Both times we visited, there was live music just outside of the patio. We didn't stick around too long after we were done, so can't speak to anything else. Would I go back here? Sure!

Nature & Parks
Audubon Park is a charming destination located north of the Mississippi River in New Orleans. The park offers a variety of activities such as jogging and bike paths, tennis courts, playgrounds, and picnic shelters. It also features a scenic lagoon surrounded by beautiful oak trees. Additionally, the park holds historical significance as it hosted the Worlds Fair in 1898. Visitors can explore this historic site while enjoying the natural beauty and wildlife that inhabit the area.
A Peaceful Green Escape in the Heart of the City Audubon Park is a beautiful oasis in New Orleans — the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. I took the streetcar out and walked through the park on my way to the zoo, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the day. The wide paths are great for walking, running, or biking, and the canopy of trees offers plenty of shade — which was especially appreciated on a warm June afternoon. It’s peaceful, scenic, and full of charm, with locals and visitors alike out enjoying the space. Whether you’re heading to the zoo or just looking for a relaxing stroll, Audubon Park is a lovely spot to slow down and soak in the natural beauty of the city.
Stephen B — Google review
Wonderful urban park situated at the back end of the garden district, yet feels rather remote and distant from the roar of traffic and city life. This park was lovely, and had a very relaxing feel to it, unlike city park which felt more like a location one goes for activities such as golf, football practice or disc golf. The path was very nice, wide enough for pedestrians, dogs and cyclists alike, and runs parallel to a lovely stream. Forget your woes and come down and enjoy this lovely little breath of scenery.

What a beautiful park! Well-manacured, serene trails, delightful fountain. I spent more time here than I thought I would. The park is directly across from Loyola and Tulane, yet many families with young children were enjoying themselves. There were several walkers, bikers and joggers but the park wasn't crowded or noisy. Just a great stop off the St Charles streetcar line!

Urban South Brewery, established in 2016, is a prominent fixture in New Orleans' craft beer landscape. The brewery's taproom and production facility offer a family-friendly environment with amenities like a kids play area. Urban South's diverse selection of bold year-round and seasonal brews, such as grapefruit IPA and lime cucumber gose, reflects the city's vibrant spirit. The spacious warehouse-style taproom provides ample seating and entertainment options like arcade games and corn hole.
Stopped by here on our walking tour of New Orleans based on the recommendation of a bartender from another location. Loved this brewery. Much bigger than I was expecting with lots of space, games, and a decent selection of beers. Decided on a flight to sample a number of them during our quick stop. Passed this recommendation on to others in the area as well.

ABSOLUTELY. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. Such a phenomenal brewery with a lot of space and plenty of beers to choose from. All the beer was phenomenal. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and even gave some great recommendations as well. Sadly we weren’t hungry, but they had crawfish for food! It all looked and smelled so great! Next time coming hungry for sure!

First tried their beer last year at a brew fest type event and knew we had to add it to our list of places to try if we got the chance. Took a trip to NOLA and decided we had to go. Great space and good vibes. Beer was excellent. Good mix of all the styles for the beer nerds. I love sours and was able to land on several really good sours here. They also have a food truck which is alway appreciated. Staff was great and didn’t rush you. So far best brewery I’ve been to in NOLA.

Went on a Monday but it was still great. Very friendly service and great beers. Also got a smash burger, which at Monday lunch came with a token for a free beer? And the burger and fries were lovely. Only thing I didn't like was the showgirl seltzer (too sweet) but they happily replaced it with something else.
Jake H — Google review
Say not the best experience here but that was down to the service. There are a lot of beers to choose from so my husband and I did a flight each. My husband was unsure on a couple and asked if he could have a taste, the lady replied with that’s what the flight is for. Really unusual for a brew pub and quite rude. I went for a variations of sours and they weren’t that sour just very sweet.
Sarah A — Google review
Came from the first brewery down the road where they were not friendly and full of toddlers making so much noise we couldn’t talk. Walked in here and was greeted with a smile! We had friendly service and the beer choices were so much better. We were able to get a flight and try the beer and actually liked 3 of the 4 so that was a winner for us. We will definitely be back. We didn’t get to see if they had any food which will be a plus for us next time. Thank you for smiling and being friendly! It made our night much better after coming from our first one down the road and not treated with friendly service and didn’t care if we were there.
Cheryl S — Google review
We really enjoyed this brewery. The beers are all great (although, the sweeter ones are a little sickly) and the vibes there are on point. If you’re not a beer drinker, they have plenty of boozy seltzer options too. We also liked the location…unassuming spot with plenty of parking. And if you love some brewery merch, they have a wide selection. Hit this place up!
Taylor L — Google review
This is a great spot, we walked in the rain and had a joyful time in this brewery. They let us taste a few beers. Shared some pretzel bites with cheese from their food truck outside. The atmosphere was amazing. The staff were kind and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone! Worth a stop if you’re looking a for a good beer and snack.

NOLA City Bark is a spacious dog park that spans nearly five acres, providing ample room for your furry friend to frolic. The park features pavilions for shade and water fountains to ensure dogs stay hydrated. Additionally, it offers separate areas for large and small dogs. For a more intimate off-leash experience, Crescent Park Dog Run along the Mississippi River provides a smaller but equally enjoyable space.
My Pup had such a good time running around the park! The grounds were well kept making it super safe for my little pup to run around with joy!

I was very disappointed that there was no one on site to let visitors in. I understand the idea behind a permit park but we are visiting from Canada and just wanted to go in for an hour or so with our two vaccinated dogs. We have proof of vaccines with us but you have to purchase the permits somewhere off site and likely not open on a Sunday. It looked really great through the fence and all the dogs were so happy. Ours were sad.
Maureen S — Google review
Moved to New Orleans from Atlanta and was so pleased to find our new ‘backyard!’ Everyone is so friendly and keeps a close eye on their dogs. The grounds, including the bathrooms and dog wash stations, are always clean. I don’t know how someone can say it’s for the elite when it’s $60 for an annual pass. I do wish they offered monthly memberships for those only working in the city for a few months. However the park, the pups, and the people here are all phenomenal!
Shelby M — Google review
LOVE City Bark! Grounds are well maintained, a nice walking path, multiple waste drop off stations, and an area to bathe my pup after he frolics in the mud. (When it's rained). Also, the hours operation are very generous. Everyone keeps a close eye on their dogs and it's a friendly group of people. Very pleased for this dog park option - especially for those of us who don't have a yard at home.
Melissa R — Google review
Great park with a large space. Online application for permit was seem less. Friendly and well behaved dogs. They were responsive via email and answered within 2 hrs. Option to pay in person when you pick up the permit and tag or online but you still need to pick up the tag/key to get in. It can be returned in person or mailed back to them which is great if your schedule is packed with activities. They have 2 dog pools that you drain easily, and a fire hydrate water fountain, plus some balls, and other playgrounds for the pups. Would definitely recommend for dogs who enjoy making friends.
Lili — Google review
We absolutely love this park. It's a little far from uptown for us to go daily but always worth the trip. There's so much space for our 70 lb goldendoodle to sprint to his heart's content. He loves the kiddie pools to cool off in, and we love that there is a dog washing station as well as bathrooms for humans. The fee is also worth the peace of mind knowing that all the dogs in there are friendly and up to date on their shots. Can't recommend it enough!

My dog’s fav place. The best park in New Orleans. Biggest. Safest. Must buzz in with card & you’re more comfortable knowing the dogs here are all vaccinated & clean. Sprinkler & pool area, playground, & a wash off bath area. Game changer !!

It offers a wide variety of unique and reasonably priced items for dogs and cats, including clothing, treats, toys, and even New Orleans-themed toys. The friendly staff provides helpful assistance without being intrusive, making it a peaceful shopping experience. Customers appreciate the store's selection of items that are not commonly found elsewhere.
After mom passed, I didn’t think I was going to be able to find my dog Lucy her favorite toy that my mom gave her. Out of all her toys, she loves that duck the most. Made me happy that these guys had it in stock. (You can really see the contrast between old and new) 🐥

Southern Paws in the French Quarter is such a beautiful little boutique and a refreshing change in the type of store in this high tourist area. The staff is so friendly and even called their new location nearby to confirm they had the shirt size I was looking for. The prices can be a little high, but since it’s a different store type in the French Quarter area I was okay with paying more.
Logan — Google review
Southern Paws, New Orleans: Where Your Dog Gets Treated Better Than You Do (And Honestly, That’s Fair) If Anthropologie and a dog park had a baby, and that baby grew up listening to zydeco and eating crawfish-flavored treats, it would be Southern Paws. This isn’t just a pet store. It’s a lifestyle boutique for creatures who lick their own feet and still manage to look more put-together than I do on a Monday. Located in the heart of the French Quarter, Southern Paws is the kind of place that makes you say, “I came for poop bags and left with a sequined bowtie and a locally sourced paw balm.” Let’s break it down: Ambiance The vibe is “Southern charm meets canine couture.” Exposed brick, jazz playing softly, and displays so artfully arranged you’d think Martha Stewart moonlights here. There’s a wall of collars that look like they belong in a museum of tiny leather goods. The lighting is flattering enough to make you consider taking a selfie with your dog. And yes, your dog is welcome. In fact, your dog is the main character. You? You’re just the wallet. Staff The staff are the kind of people who remember your dog’s name, preferred treat texture, and emotional triggers. They’ll greet your pup like royalty and you like the chauffeur, which, let’s be honest, is accurate. They’re warm, knowledgeable, and somehow manage to make you feel like buying a $40 chew toy shaped like a crawfish is a sound financial decision. Inventory • Treats: Organic, artisanal, and probably better than the granola bar in your bag. • Toys: Squeaky, stylish, and themed—because your dog deserves a Halloween collection. • Accessories: Bowties, raincoats, Mardi Gras costumes. If your dog isn’t dressed like a jazz musician by the time you leave, you weren’t trying hard enough. • Human stuff: T-shirts, mugs, and candles that say things like “My dog is my therapist” and “Bark Side of the Moon.” You will buy one. Resistance is futile. Safety & Civic Vibes Southern Paws is one of those rare places in the Quarter where you can exhale. It’s clean, well-lit, and feels like a little oasis of sanity in the midst of Bourbon-adjacent chaos. The door’s usually open, but the energy is curated, no chaos, no confusion, just calm tail wags and curated retail. Bonus Points • They host adoption events and support local rescues, which means your impulse purchases come with a side of civic virtue. • There’s a water bowl out front and usually a dog lounging inside who looks like he’s been elected mayor of the store. • If you’re lucky, you’ll catch a staff member serenading a schnauzer with a squeaky toy rendition of “When the Saints Go Marching In.”
Maciek M — Google review
So I was visiting New Orleans, and while buying souvenirs I found your store! I was mesmerized by the amount of pet clothing and food at this place I ended up buying some treats and this gorgeous fedora for my pup! He wears it at almost any event in NYC, I really wish I could've buy another one!

Bonus: it's super pet friendly, so bring your pup along. Highly recommend this spot for all your pet needs.

Nothing special here. You'd better move over to the northern part, the proper Audbun Park, which itself is lovely. Here, you'll find nothing special - the views over the Mississippi river are limited, the paths are worn out plus lots of space is used as a parking lot. Better atmosphere is just around the corner.

The French Quarter Phantoms Ghost Tours in New Orleans is a top contender for the best ghost tour in town, offering an exciting and historically accurate experience. Developed with input from the National Paranormal Society, these tours are suitable for families and adults and cover about a mile over a leisurely two-hour walk, rain or shine.
My wife and I came to NOLA for our 1 years anniversary and decided to do the ghosts and vampires tour; it was very informative and entertaining. Katherine, our guide, was very knowledgeable, personable, enthusiastic, and detailed in her descriptions. She very much made the tour an enjoyable experience that my wife and I wont soon forget. I don't know how often you see these reviews, but just in case: Thank you for being apart of our journey, Katherine. Seeing other reviews I now wish I took more pictures, but I was engrossed in the story telling 😅
Archiver T — Google review
I went on a tour with Katherine for a wedding party, and it was awesome! I was worried it would be people jumping out to scare you or super cheesy, but Katharine did a great job of mixing history with the stories. Before the tour, she asked if we would prefer more ghosts and vampires or more history, and since we're all fairly nerdy we chose more history. Katharine was a phenomenal storyteller. You always knew what parts of the stories were historically accurate, and what parts were legend. She also made sure we knew how to stay safe during the whole tour. She offered electrolytes and water whenever we needed and made sure we stayed safe and healthy. Next time I come to New Orleans, I'll have to book another tour and request Katharine again!

My daughter and I did the ghost & vampire tour on Halloween night! It was awesome! Breon was an amazing story teller. We learned a lot about the hauntings, ghosts & vampires! Great way to spend Halloween night! Highly recommend!

We went on the 8pm adult tour with our spectacular guide Katherine! We originally decided on this tour because my friend and I share a favorite podcast (Last Podcast on the Left) and they highly recommended this tour when in NOLA. It did not disappoint! Katherine is a phenomenal tour guide who obviously loves her city, and gives her all to the information during the tour. The idea of ghosts during this tour felt more like the ghosts of our past, and Katherine did an incredible job honing in on that vibe from the get-go. A true master storyteller. She checks in on us and even carries a cooler with water and Gatorade to make sure we stay healthy and happy during the tour. That kind of caring service is rare nowadays! The tour is a grisly overview of the hard to swallow truth about American history (and sprinkled with documented spooky vampire and paranormal instances) but Katherine informed us in such a way that not only did I learn so much more than I ever did in school, but I got goosebumps multiple times. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense, taken seriously “ghost” tour, this is your stop!

Took the tour tonight with my husband. Katherine was AMAZING! It was an all adult VIP tour and her energy, knowledge, attentiveness, and passion was Impeccable. It was entertaining and historical. The thorough exploration of the various periods, events, people, and culture was engaging and also helped answer so many questions! The best experience and Katherine was integral part of the wonderful experience. Thanks - Let the Good Times Roll!

We had a great time with our tour guide, Michael. He was thorough, friendly and knowledgeable. We went on the 6pm ghost & vampire tour and we really enjoyed all of the stops and learning the history. I really liked that Michael could share personal tid bits and experiences to add to history and stories of different spots like the Andrew Jackson Hotel and the LaLaurie Mansion. I’d give more stars if I could! 10/10

An awesome tour guide service that offered many different tours with dope guides. Ours was Adelai, she was an eccentric (self proclaimed) fairy that has deep roots in Louisiana. Her knowledge and first hand stories were great, from learning about the rougarou eating toes, the craziness at LaLaurie mansion, the hidden vampires on the 3rd floor of the old convenant, and the child-ghosts at Andrew Jackson hotel. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for this style tour.

Cafe Beignet, located in the French Quarter, is a charming bistro known for its intimate atmosphere and delicious Cajun fare. The cafe offers a variety of menu items including beignets, café au lait, omelets, sandwiches, gumbo, and jambalaya. While some consider their beignets to be even better than Cafe du Monde's famous pastries, others find them slightly heavier and cakier.
A small café with a surprisingly beautiful interior design that instantly catches the eye. The service was excellent—warm, friendly, and efficient. We absolutely loved the handmade beignets; they were fresh, light, and delicious. The French toast was equally enjoyable—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We also tried the veggie and mushroom omelets, both of which were tasty and satisfying. Their coffee menu is extensive, and every cup we tried was rich and flavorful. A fantastic spot for breakfast—I highly recommend stopping by!

On our last day in New Orleans, and everyone wanted breakfast. The grits—did not disappoint! I won’t give away the secret ingredient… you’ll have to taste them for yourself. The food was amazing, and the service matched it perfectly. We had originally stopped by the Bourbon Street location, but it wasn’t open, and this spot was recommended instead. I’m actually glad it worked out that way—otherwise, we might have missed this wonderful dining experience in such a charming, quaint location.

Loved the ambience. The live music adds a nice touch to the entire environment. The Beignets were definitely nice, fluffy and warm. The coffee served here has chicory that adds a very unique flavour that is known to Indians as 'filter coffee' and also adds to the thickness of the coffee.

OK, I had a southern breakfast which was good. The eggs were OK at atmosphere was nice. Everybody seemed like they were happy and the beignets are absolutely delicious. Magazine Street is one of my favorite streets in the City. Technically Magazine is the lower boundary of the Garden District, though it’s often included. I think there is a great mix of small commercial businesses, restaurants, bars and residential to make it very appealing. From Philip Street to Canal I find it more commercial and from Philip Street going upriver I find it more residential. A lovely street to browse.

Louis Armstrong Park is a 31-acre urban oasis located in the historic Treme neighborhood of New Orleans. It pays tribute to the legendary jazz musician Louis Armstrong and features lush green spaces, scenic ponds, and statues honoring his legacy. The park is home to historic Congo Square and hosts a variety of events such as concerts, films, festivals, and even weddings.
A Peaceful Tribute to a Musical Legend Armstrong Park is a beautiful and serene spot just steps from the French Quarter, and well worth a visit. It’s peaceful and spacious, with wide paths perfect for a relaxing stroll — a nice break from the city’s more hectic energy. The park is filled with incredible statues and tributes to New Orleans’ rich musical history, especially jazz and the legacy of Louis Armstrong himself. Each sculpture feels meaningful, and the entire space gives off a quiet sense of pride and reflection. Whether you’re a music lover, history fan, or just looking for a calm place to walk and take it all in, Armstrong Park delivers. A true gem in the heart of the city.

Oh what a wonderful world A wonderful little world housed just outside of the French quarter of New Orleans. This quiet little haven of peace serves as a public green space, equipped with sculptures, plaques and more honouring the late founder of jazz. Though I would say it’s potential has been let down by its custodians. The park has some quaint little walkways and bridges which personally I enjoyed. This included a wooden bridge over a small beck, within which turtles can be spotted. We pondered on whether the turtles are natural or placed by man. I can’t help feeling like this park isn’t lifted to its full potential, due to the abundance of scaffolding and heras fencing, and the colour of the water. This could be a truly magical place but does feel somewhat uncared for. I understand there has been discussion about whether the adjacent parking lots may be incorporated into the park at some point.

Louis Armstrong Park has the appearance of a public space designed in the Lyndon Johnson era. Stark looking concrete bridges over concrete ponds seemingly without intent or direction. I can't quite figure out what seems so odd about the park. The rarely used Mahalia Jackson Theater is on the property as well as a very large abandoned building, the Municipal Auditorium whose intent is unknown to me, but is in great need of rehabilitation. I find an Executive Order from the Mayors office setting up a committee to study its redevelopment. Hopefully something is in the works. There is also an older historic building complex in the middle of the park, fenced off. Don't know what that is. The stark concrete bridges would be a lot more pleasing to the eye if they were faced with brick. Anyway, it does serve as an outdoor space for events and gathering spot for walking parades. I'm not sure whether they even have bathrooms in the park. There are some nice statues.

Amazing park dedicated to a legend. A nice surprise to stumble across while out seeing the sites of the French Quarter.

The park has great appeal. The city or whoever oversees the park needs to maintain it. It was so sad to see the level of trash that filled the water feature.... the landscape is too nice to look like that. It can be a serene place. Also some of the night lights on the entry of the park are our. Please clean the water up. I still think it's worth going to visit.

It is so beautiful here, very quiet and peaceful full of flowers and ducks and so much nature, a great place to get away from the cement jungle and sit back reading a book, or just relax and soak in the sunshine. Take a break, you deserve it.

Croissant D'Or Patisserie is a charming Parisian-style bakery located in the French Quarter of New Orleans. This hidden gem offers a delectable selection of freshly baked goods, including plain, sweet, and savory croissants filled with delightful ingredients like chocolate and ham and cheese. The display case showcases an array of must-try treats such as Napoleon pastries, tiramisu, tarts, and tortes.
The most Eggcellent breakfast I’ve had in New Orleans. Seriously, the Croque madame was INCREDIBLE. My buddies loved the avocado toast and the croissant sandwich. Coffee was fantastic and we ordered pastries Togo. So glad we came upon this little gem!

Great place for a quick breakfast. If there isn’t a long line, the eggs are amazing and all the croissants we tried were delicious. Will be coming back for some cake later and the coffee was good too.

Meh. Was hoping to find a great French Patisserie in the French Quarter. Instead we found this place. It was mostly just good, not bad and definitely not great. Easy walk from the French Market and Jackson Square. Tried a half dozen or so of the pastries as well as the Spinach Quiche. The quiche was pretty good, and a nice flaky crust. Good flavor but the microwaving to heat it up gave it a slightly rubbery texture. The laminated pastries though, ugh. VERY bready! Whoever was handling their lamination definitely needs to go somewhere and learn proper lamination. Anything with laminated dough was all the same, bad to mediocre. You can see from the pictures that the Croissants look like something you get from a can made by Pillsbury. The Apple filled croissant tasted like the filling was straight from a can. They had some really cute pastries and cakes they call "animals" that we didn't try. The star of the show was the Tarte au Citron (Lemon Tart). The tart shell was good a flaky. The lemon filling was excellent. The meringue was tasty and piped well. Just a little over torched which gave it a slightly bitter taste. Overall a very good lemon tart and I would order it again. The atmosphere was wonderful and they had a fantastic courtyard. Most of the service was very good. The biggest complaint, and reason for only 2 stars on service was the lady at the register. Didn't greet us and seemed bored and could care less. Did not help with recommendations and was uninterested in answering any questions. Sorry to be a bother ma'am. We'll just go elsewhere next time. Would I recommend? Hmmm. If you are going for croissants or laminated pastry or the highest quality of pastry, no, I would not recommend. If you are looking for a place close to the French Quarter and nice atmosphere but food quality and service don't matter then yes, I would recommend.

The baked goods we got were delicious!!! The vibes of the shop were adorable and we had a lovely time sitting and eating breakfast!! It was VERY busy, but the employees were nice, helpful, and VERY efficient. We did not have to wait too long.

I was recommended this place from my high school French teacher and needless to say it definitely did not disappoint. The atmosphere is just what I envisioned a little patisserie in France to be like. They have a nice little menu for breakfast/brunch as well as PLENTY of pastries from their cases. I got a croque Madame, a fruit tart, and a mocha and loved every bit of everything. My dad got a ham, egg, and cheese croissant and he enjoyed that as well. I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in New Orleans!

Food was great. Service was FANTASTIC! Super great, friendly and efficient staff. They had orders coming out pretty quickly and were doing so with smiles on their faces. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town.

Located in the Garden District, The Bulldog stands out from other bars and restaurants by allowing patrons to bring their furry friends to dine with them on the patio. They offer a wide selection of craft beers, with over 50 on tap and 100 bottled. Their unique beer tap fountain adds to the ambiance, making it a great spot for enjoying good company and quality brews. The bar is known for its enhanced tasting draft beer achieved through a special pumping method using nitrogen and C02.
Been there a few times and plan on continuing! Great food, quick service with fountain sodas and free refills.

Overall: I probably wouldn’t go back. I had to come in and out several times to order and serve myself so I didn’t even get to relax with my group. I had to order and pay for the bar tab and food tab separately which was just inconvenient. I paid $13 for a basic cheeseburger with a frozen patty and it didn’t even come with a side. The staff wasn’t very friendly or attentive. The only real pro for me was the dog friendly patio where minors are not allowed. And the quesadilla was good and fairly priced.

One of my favorite bars uptown! The service is too tier— Tabitha is the best bartender. She made all our drinks so fast and they came out delicious. Devin keeps the vibes so high as well— best bingo host EVER. And even the food was great— we had loaded nachos and they came out piping hot and full of flavor and toppings. Will definitely be coming back again

Refused service to my daughter 2 days after her 21st birthday. Bartender didn't know how to read Utah IDs ... Well you're wrong on both points. Utah IDs aren't textured. And it wasn't expired. Also you apparently cannot read either. My name is KELTY. However I'm glad you showed your attitude before we were served, because I prefer bar service to be polite and not ignorant.

Oh and did I mention the HUGE beer menu? Holy.... awesome. Great bartender, ( Ryan) LARGE assortment of beers! We stopped in because I liked the outside and wanted to check it out. Glad I did! Miel Brewery & Taproom is a must-visit gem in the New Orleans craft beer scene. The brewery's name, which means "honey" in Spanish, reflects its founders' beekeeping background and their use of honey in some of their brews. La Ventana Central American lager and Surrealista Honey IPA are just a few examples of beers that incorporate honey into their ingredients.
THIS. PLACE. IS. A. VIBE! Absolutely phenomenal brewery space with even more amazing beers! There was an awesome selection of beers and the staff was more than accommodating and had great recommendations as well. We got several flights and pints of beers as well. Unfortunately we didn’t come hungry, but they had crawfish that looked fire! We tried ordering oysters, but they sold out too. Next time we’ll definitely come earlier and get some food alongside some amazing beer!

Super cute brewery with pop up food and great options. The staff is super friendly. I love the outdoor seating and the options to play video games inside. If you don’t like beer they do have hard seltzer which js also good! They always host different pop up events. It’s perfect after work decompress! And kids and dogs are also welcome!

Pretty good beer, nice atmosphere and spacious. Pricey though, $15 a flight of 4 is excessive. Edit: I appreciate the reply from the owners, this shows their commitment and attention to detail. I still stand by my previous post about the cost of a flight, however I want to convey that the individual prices for a pint are reasonable and on par for the market. This was not the first time, or last time I'll be back to Miel.

We had a great time at Miel’s. I had 3 or 4 different brews and my wife had one of the slushees. I enjoyed every beer I had, my wife said her slushy was very tasty as well. We came because they had a pop up event for buggin out boils which was awesome and such a perfect partnership. The patio is large and has a nice set up. The weirdest thing was people would all line up instead of go around the bar to be served. We found that strange. Service was very friendly. My wife also got a cookie thing from another I would guess pop up table. I like that they have the food options and cool seeing local businesses helping each other out. We would check them out again to enjoy a few afternoon drinks on the patio.

My wife and I stumbled into this spot right after dinner from Magazine Street and we were excited to try a few local brews. We figured we’d try this place out since Abita was 15 minutes further away by foot. There was no line so we were excited as we checked out the menu. Even though there were no other patrons looking to order, it didn’t seem like the cashier wanted to give us the time of day - ordering felt like a chore. Perhaps it was the end of her shift? We wondered if we should have just walked the extra 15 minutes to Abita. The beers were pretty good overall: (1) Vienna Lager - on point, I would have ordered a full pint had the conditions been different. (2) Golden Boi - It had good flavor on the front end, but the aftertaste was not pleasant. (3) Bird of Paradise - I typically enjoy IPAs and higher ABV beers, but this was a bit too boozy for me, there was a significant ethanol aftertaste. (4) Irish Stout - it was light and smooth, my wife totally dug this one.

Twelve Mile Limit is a laid-back bar with a pool table and outdoor seating, serving up cocktails, beer, and comforting fare. It's highly regarded as one of the top neighborhood bars in the city, boasting a welcoming atmosphere and an impressive cocktail selection. The bar also hosts a complimentary family meal every Monday night, offering a variety of homestyle dishes for patrons to enjoy. Additionally, it's known for its reasonably priced craft cocktails and lively late-night dance parties featuring talented DJs.
Probably my favorite spot in Mid City. Love the staff, and they make great cocktails. Great food vendors come through here, and they have cool art/book vendors as well. Queer Friendly and Welcomed.

I've been hanging out on this side of the Greenway as of late and bar hopping around this area. I really like this bar even if I've only been twice. First time I popped in, they were having a dance party and the DJ was doing a good job spinning. The place was packed, everyone dancing, playing pool and having a good time. Oddball me finds a spot at the bar and starts reading. But it's NOLA so by the end of the night I've made friends and end up at some strangers house party. Second time around I stumbled back from watching the game at Holy ground to drown my sorrows. Being early evening before the holidays it was basically empty. I had a couple beers, big plus for having 2 hearted, and chatted with the bartender and another couple. It feels really comfortable here. They play good music, have a pool table, they have trivia and regular DJs. The 1st time they were playing anime, plus black bartenders in mid city. Not sure if it's black owned, but I'm here to support and represent. I do want to try their kitchen, the menu looks good.

Classic dive bar but with a twist—a leveled-up cocktail program! Each weeknight they have a $5 cocktail which are all hand made, not some batch stuff. Crowd is chill and service is great. Can’t ask for more from a local haunt.

New favorite bar in New Orleans. Looks like a dive, and you can have a shot and a beer if you want, but the cocktails were fantastic. The Sunday morning I was there they had a food truck serving breakfast/brunch food. I couldn’t have timed it better. Great job all the way around.

Went here recently with friends. One of the worst bar experiences in my life 😬 Drinks: EXTREMELY overpriced. For a few simple drinks (think gin and tonic) we paid $43 before tip. They came in... plastic cups. Literal plastic mardi gras cups. Not only that but they were tiny! I'm talking half a pint of lukewarm beer in a plastic cup. Mindboggling. Felt like a cheap tailgate. The non-beer drinks came to maybe the halfway point of the cup. Service: the bartender could not remember four (very basic) drinks at once and made us repeat the order multiple times. Atmosphere: weird crowd and ridiculous decorations. There's a grungy cloth sofa with weird stains, the bathrooms were disgusting. The comedy was so cringe, more laugh at than laugh with... If expensive warm drinks in plastic cups is your vibe this is the spot. Otherwise, hard avoid

Check this place out for brunch if your in Mid City, New Orleans. Good for great prices! Don't let the outside discourage you from going in. We had the breakfast burrito and the avocado toast. Yum! Also had the biscuits and gravy, they were good too. We we'll be back to try dinner. They do free food and drink specials on Mondays! Yes FREE food, each week a different theme, Puerto Rican, Pad Thai, Indian...

Have been taking my dog here for years to be groomed. His current groomer, Licardo, is amazing. I call him my dog’s guardian angel. My boyfriend and I were looking for a restaurant and had passed it up a few blocks back. We were drenched in sweat because we had been walking all morning and stopped to drink some water and tried to gather where we were. I’m assuming it was the owner, he came out and told us we could step inside to cool off if needed. Honestly, the best thing that could’ve happened because we were feeling lightheaded. We didn’t look around or buy anything, but he talked to us about the area, gave us some food places closer and tried helping us get back on track. We did try Turkey and Wolf and it was amazing! I just wanted to say his kindness went a long way for us. I greatly appreciate him for opening his doors and for being kind. This world could use a little more of that!

Like many have stated, the staff—or primarily the only staff we have ever encountered (white male, about 6’1)—is deeply unfriendly and unhelpful. We live a few blocks away and have tried twice to bring our dog in for treats and a nail trim. We gave up after being dismissed the second time as if we were a bother for even entering. To the owners: please take these reviews to heart. And if the said man is the owner, get out of the customer service biz my man.

There was a note to call or ring the RING doorbell but the phone rang inside the store and no one answered the RING. It's stressful on you and especially on your pet to take them to a grooming. Do Not use this place because they no show customers!

When I went to Petcetera to buy my dog a cupcake I asked the person working if the cupcake had peanut butter because I am severely allergic to peanuts and can’t feed my dog anything with peanut butter. He assured me none of the treats had peanut butter so I bought the cupcake. I went to the Petcetera website after giving the cupcake to my dog because I thought it looked like peanut butter as he was eating it and right on the website it said the main ingredient was peanut butter. I had to deeply clean my dogs mouth and wash my hands many times to avoid having an allergic reaction. If I had not looked it up I could have had an allergic reaction and gone into anaphylactic shock. Employees must know all ingredients of the products they are selling to avoid something horrible happening to anyone including dogs with allergies.

Be warned, Americans dine early! You do not need prior surfing experience to enjoy the pleasantries here. Great atmosphere and ambience. But we arrived after the main dinner threshold (not sure what time this is but we arrived around 9). We were given the “night time munchies” menu instead which was pretty disappointing, as the main menu looked rich with delicious options. The place is decorated extensively with a surfing theme including an array of various surfboards. It’s not overpowering but gives a good character to the place. They seem to have a great sports showing too, with regular games streamed on TVs throughout the place. I hope to return to try the proper menu at some point!

I highly highly recommend this place for TexMex, drinks and great vibes. I forgot to take pics of the menu but selection was decent. From the moment we walked in, we felt SO welcome and part of the Lucy atmosphere. The male bartender greeted us, all staff kept warm smiles, and our very informative waitress, Baylee, was top notch! We enjoyed a Frosè and Frozen Lemonade - both topped with the cutest mermaids. Our appetizer of Spicy Nachos with Guac was delish and came ahead of our entree. We also had an order of the Smash Burger and Lucy’s Burger - both sides of fries & packed with flavor. Will certainly visit when in NOLA again!

It offers stunning views of the historic Mississippi River and provides a fantastic space for leisurely activities. The park features jogging paths, green spaces, sculptures, and artwork. Named after philanthropist Malcolm Woldenberg, it hosts live music performances during events like the French Quarter Festival.
Beautiful park set on the edge of the river. From there, you can watch the boats float by and the sunrise ripple on the water. The place is quiet in the early morning with just a few joggers and walkers. A nice stretch of riverwalk lets you stroll for quite a while, and the whole area is pretty clean and cared for. If you go further north/east along the water, you can find some beautiful murals. All in all, sunrise there was one of my favorite parts of a day in New Orleans.

The park's serene ambiance is a welcome atmosphere from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. You can even catch live jazz music near the paddle boats! It's an ideal spot to unwind, take in the views, and enjoy the unique blend of art, nature, and culture. Whether you're interested in history, art, or simply enjoying the outdoors, Woldenberg Park has something for everyone.

This was a nice park. I didn't see much of the park itself because I was attending the French Quarter Festival. The waterfront view of the park was really nice as well as being able to take a stroll in the boardwalk. If you're waking a dog or just out for a leisurely stroll this would be a great place to get away and enjoy. If you're visiting the area and need a break from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street this could be a great opportunity to take the trolley or even take a walk and get a little peace and relaxation with a view of the ships and other scenery.

Flamingo A Go-Go is a vibrant and trendy restaurant located in New Orleans, offering a casual dining experience with a unique atmosphere. The establishment boasts a spacious outdoor patio that is dog-friendly, making it an ideal spot for enjoying bar bites and drinks while socializing with friends or even arranging puppy play dates. The venue's funky decor and pink flamingo theme provide the perfect backdrop for memorable photoshoots.
After a long day of traveling and checking into the fantastic Higgins Hotel, my partner and I were craving something convenient, delicious, and not too far a trek. Flamingo A-Go-Go popped up as a mere 0.1 miles away with good reviews, so we decided to give it a shot – and boy, are we glad we did! We were truly pleasantly surprised by every aspect of our experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and lively, loved the music playing! But what truly stood out was the service. Our server, Trenecia, was an absolute gem. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her suggestions were absolutely on point. She guided us through the menu with such enthusiasm, making it tough to choose because everything sounded so good! We started with her recommendations of the boudin balls and also got some hush puppies. They arrived piping hot and packed with flavor – the perfect start to our meal. For our main courses, I went with the Flamingo Shrimp Alfredo, and it was a creamy, flavorful dream with perfectly cooked shrimp. My husband opted for the Shrimp A-Go-Go PoBoy with onion rings, and he raved about the freshness of the shrimp and the delicious sauce. The onion rings were tasty, too. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and was absolutely delicious, clearly made with care. Even though we were getting full, Trenecia sweetly suggested we try the Kalauha Chocolate Mousse Cake for dessert, and we’re so glad we listened! It was the perfect decadent end to a fantastic meal – rich, smooth, and just sweet enough. We left feeling completely satisfied and already making plans to return. We're definitely coming back during our trip to try the redfish, which Trenecia also highly recommended. If you're staying near the Higgins Hotel or just looking for an amazing meal with incredible service in New Orleans, Flamingo A-Go-Go is an absolute must-visit!

Came here with a hungry appetite after a 5k run. Had great expectations because of the reviews. But left with somewhat hungry stomach. Yes, there was a mouse running through the ceiling. I get that we are in New Orleans. But I was just so surprised. The jerk taco was disappointing, with no jerk flavor and more of a medicinal herb taste. Overall, the food felt overpriced for the quality.

This place is so cute! I love the inside! They have a huge outdoor balcony where bands can come play as well. We ordered the pepperoni pizza or flatbread and it was okay. We had the “Blue Drank and some Froze’s and those were all good! But mostly sugar so we had to get an extra shot of vodka to put on top and mix it in. Service was great. We sat right at the bar. She always checked in on us.

I honestly can’t decide my favorite part. The food was amazing, the drinks were delightful, the atmosphere was top notch and the service was amazing. Shout out to our server Brittany who was so friendly and really made the experience next level. Genuinely might be the most fun dining experience I have ever had.

Me being Polish, and the name of this place, I had to at least stop for a drink! Pursued the menu, looked good, decent prices, & many specials. Looks like it would be fun & cozy in the evening. Drink was tasty, service was good, and it was also clean. Would definitely go back when I'm hungry (and thirsty)

Make sure to try test of orleans. It is combination of three authentic local dishes. Love it love it and love it. Also tried the famous hurricane here and few other places. They had the best one.

Didn’t have a great experience here. Walking through the restaurant to get to the patio seating, it reeked of vomit around the bar area. It was the Monday after Halloween Weekend so I can understand things get crazy, but definitely not appetizing when you’re about to eat lunch. Our server was very sweet, however do not eat here if you have any food allergies. We did inform our waitress that someone in our party had severe peanut and egg allergies. She was nice and went to check their allergen guide on what he could eat. We were sure to be very careful and asked her to check a couple of times since he could go into anaphylactic shock. He decided to order a grilled chicken Caesar salad and said to just throw whatever dressing on the side that was free of his allergens. The salad came out with ranch all over it and since ranch usually has eggs, we waited until our waitress came back 10 mins later to explain that ranch usually has eggs. She went back into the kitchen to check a 3rd time and came out saying “don’t eat that!!” She was apologetic, but if you do have allergies you have to be very vigilant eating here and I would recommend bringing an EpiPen, or just going somewhere where staff is better trained on common food allergens. Another thing to note was that the salad was initially served with 3 decent sized chicken breasts/cutlets and when we got the replacement it was shredded and there seemed to be less chicken. I did get the taste of New Orleans and wasn’t too thrilled about it. The bread was stale and the gumbo and beans weren’t all that good. The jambalaya was tasty. My boyfriend got the Jerk Chicken Tacos and those were actually super good.

Food was actually better than expected. Came in for the decor and lunch. The red beans and rice was surprisingly flavorful. The burger wasn't over done, and the shrimp po-boy was good. Would recommend. And the area was fun.

Crescent Park is a 20-acre linear park that stretches 1.4 miles along the Mississippi River, connecting the French Quarter to the Bywater neighborhood. The park features walking and bike paths, picnic areas, and stunning views of the city skyline. Visitors can enjoy street art, rusty bridges, native landscaping, and watch paddlewheelers like the Creole Queen and Natchez Steamboat pass by.
Crescent Park in New Orleans is a hidden gem offering a peaceful escape from the bustling city while still showcasing the beauty of the Mississippi River and the city’s skyline. The park is perfect for a leisurely stroll, jog, or bike ride, with its well-maintained paths and serene atmosphere. The park’s design cleverly incorporates both modern elements and natural landscapes, with lush green spaces, wildflower meadows, and native plants. There are plenty of spots to sit and relax, including benches and shaded areas, making it ideal for picnics or just unwinding. However, it’s important to note that Crescent Park can get quite hot during the summer months, as there’s limited shade in certain areas. Bringing water and wearing sunscreen is a good idea for daytime visits. Overall, Crescent Park is a wonderful destination for both locals and tourists looking for a scenic, quiet spot to enjoy nature, exercise, or simply take in the views of New Orleans.
Asif K — Google review
Crescent Park is a beautiful space with deep cultural and historical significance — especially the Latin American Workers Memorial, which honors those who helped rebuild New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. The artwork and intention are powerful. However, I was concerned by what I saw during my recent visit. The monument is visibly neglected, with dead flowers, trash, and stains on the marble base. Even more alarming, there are clusters of wild, potentially poisonous mushrooms growing right along the walkways — a major safety risk for kids and pets. This park deserves better care and attention. It has the potential to be a peaceful and educational destination, but only if the city invests in maintaining it. I hope to return and see it restored with the dignity it deserves.

A wonderful park not far from the French Quarter that overlook into the Mississippi River .
Francesco R — Google review
Very close to the river, and adjacent to the city. It kind of curves a bit so it would be better if they could have straightened it out but oh well I guess that's part of being here. There's a dog run, but it's fairly small. When I was there the place was lousy with clowns but they were kind of hot so, when they chased me on their roller skates it was oddly traumatic yet stimulating. I guess the best way to describe this would be that when I recall this memory "I will find it difficult but not impossible...". There's a very small chance that if you me running to clowns here so if you don't like clowns or don't want to be put in a situation that would cause you to not like clowns in the future, perhaps you should steer clear. Other than that..it's a nice park.

Pleasant, meandering park. Cool pedestrian crossings over the railroad, including an elevator for wheelchairs. Big, covered warehouse floor is great for skating and tennis. Easy to forget the river is there when on the other side of the levee.

Nice Park along the Mississippi river. There are tables toward the Piety Wharf side where you can sit to have a picnic lunch. We ate our sandwiches from the nearby Frady's One Stop Food Store, Roast Beef PO Boy and a Muffuletta sandwich on one of the tables while admiring the view of the river. The area is very clean and nicely landscaped with rose bushes.

Absolutely love this park. They open the gates promptly for 6a. I lead a free workout group, open to all - community oriented (come join us!). But point is we are there every Tues/Thurs at 6a and Sat at 7a, and we've never had a problem! It's always clean, always safe, and always beautiful. The views are awesome. Fun fact - the park is EXACTLY one mile (if you know where to start) in length. Which is awesome for our Saturday timed miles. I promise this is not a shameless workout post (despite what it seems) just authentically want to share that for our use it's an absolute treat. As a local who also spends a considerable amount of time at Audubon, City Park, etc - all of which I love - Crescent Park just hits different. Enjoy it.

Lovely park, with a paved trail about 1.4 miles in length that runs along the waterfront (a small portion is divided from the river by railroad tracks). Water fountains and portable toilets in some areas. Pedestrian overpass (the one by the warehouse) over the railway is equipped with an elevator.

Washington Artillery Park is a hidden gem in New Orleans, offering a picturesque outdoor space by the river with historical monuments and old artillery. Situated on top of a levee built in the 1800s to protect the city from flooding, this park provides stunning views of Jackson Square and the Mississippi River. It's an ideal spot for starting a French Quarter walking tour or capturing memorable photos with the backdrop of significant landmarks like Jackson Square and St. Louis Cathedral.
Washington Artillery Park is a fantastic spot to take in the beauty of New Orleans, offering one of the best vantage points of Jackson Square and the historic St. Louis Cathedral. Perched above the riverfront, it provides a peaceful overlook where you can catch the charm of the French Quarter with a touch of serenity. The park itself is dedicated to the Washington Artillery, a historic military unit, and features a cannon as a tribute, adding a unique historical aspect to the scenic views. From this spot, you can see street performers below, jazz bands filling the air with lively music, and the bustle of people enjoying New Orleans. It’s a popular spot for photos, especially during sunset, when the colors illuminate the cathedral and the Mississippi River in the background. Given its central location, it’s easy to stop by for a quick break while exploring the area, making it both convenient and memorable. For anyone visiting Jackson Square, Washington Artillery Park is a must-stop, whether for the view, the history, or simply a moment to soak in the atmosphere of New Orleans.

Nice spot to enjoy the views. Just watch out for grifters. Also there's a public restroom. Which can be hard to find in Nola.

This is a fantastic place to visit during the sunset. You can enjoy a great view of the river and the Jackson Square with the Saint Louis Church as background. If you are lucky then some musician could be performing some instrument and you can enjoy the music and the landscape. Many tourists from everywhere. Don't forget to take great pictures.

This is definitely not somewhere you should bring your children. There were several homeless persons sleeping on the benches and under trees. Some appeared to be very inebriated or high. The Park itself was beautiful with newer looking playground equipment and lots of mature trees. It seems very well maintained but we did not feel comfortable letting the kids play and all of the benches were occupied.

Fun park with street vendors, artist, and performers. Lots of history. Good place to rest your feet. Across the street from Moonwalk, Cafe Du Monde, and Hop on Hop off Sightseeing City Tour. Down the street from French Market. In French Quarter.

Great views over the water. Lots of good information out here. A short walk from cafe du monde so grab yourself some coffee and beignets and take a stroll through this wonferful park. Tons of artwork and there was even a live performance while we were there.

Great spot to watch the sunset, sunrise, and people watch in between. The park overlooks the Mississippi River on one side and Jackson Square on the other. You'll regularly find street performers in the area and the smell of Cafe du Monde in the air.

Known for its festive spirit of the Mardi Gras and vibrant nightlife. New Orleans has a lot more to offer. The rich history and beauty are almost mystical. In particular, Washington Artillery Park and Jackson Square. Even though not considered entirely safe for travelers, it remains a personal preference. During our time spent cycling, around the remarkable landmarks reduced possible risk, and make short stops to take in the beauty. A definite thumbs up in my book and most certainly a revisit.

Black Penny is a refurbished bar located on the outskirts of the historic French Quarter. The bar room and lounge, housed in a 19th-century building, offer a relaxed atmosphere for locals and off-shift service-industry workers. With over 100 craft beers available in cans adorning the walls, patrons can rely on the attentive bartenders to guide them through the selection. Additionally, rare brews are complemented by pop-up food stalls.
We decided to pre-game our ghost tour at the Black Penny since it's across from Louis Armstrong Park. It's kinda dimly lit with dark wood & brick inside - perfect for a hot New Orleans afternoon. It wasn't too busy and the bartender served us quickly and had time to chat a little bit. The cocktails were very good and decently priced. Would definitely drink here again.

Cool locals bar. Great atmosphere away from the typical Bourbon Street crazy. Nice selection of local beers. Great staff, very friendly.

We went here the night before Halloween for bingo. It was pretty packed since it's a small little place. But I thought it was really cool that the bingo was free and they still gave out prizes. Seemed like everyone knew each other so maybe it's a local bar? Anyway it was very fun. I wish they would have done the bingo closer together since they were every half hour and it only took 5 minutes for someone to get a bingo. It would have been more fun if it could have been faster but I get they want people to stay and drink. We stayed for three games and then gave up.

Great bar to hang out in but it can get very loud. Mixed drinks are well made, canned drinks are very quick service. Pricing is fantastic and feels like a good value. I’ve been here multiple times and always enjoyed this bar, even if it is a bit loud for a great conversation

If you know me you know I love a good dive bar and one did not disappoint. You know you found one when the soap dispenser is a condiment dispenser. The service was great. The drinks were on point. The atmosphere was everything you want in a dive bar. It was great. I highly recommend it.

First, let me say that I am a bartender. I have NEVER let anyone leave my service area without their debit/credit card. Also let me tell you that the service was impeccable. However, I had to return to collect my credit card, which to me is unacceptable. I ordered 1 drink to go and had not been drinking prior to this. Based on my experience this is unacceptable. I do take some responsibility but the bartender knew he still had my card...I was not running a tab.

Here for a pop-up Vietnamese Style Crawfish Event; we journeyed in to wait for the crawfish order to be ready. Basic bar, with seemingly familiar to the place 'bar flys' as I know this is a frequent stop during Mardi Gras Festivities. The crowd here on a Thursday night was plentiful, idk if that was because of the Crawfish or if this was the norm; either way, we blended in and enjoyed the night. Bartenders were friendly as were the patrons. Indoors there were 4-5 table & seating areas for you to cop-a-squat and be a lookie-lou or enjoy your company, whatever your pleasure. Lots of eclectic decor to feast your eyes on. Quite dimly lit, but it helps to set the mood though. Drink prices were fair & the drinks were tasty as well. I'm not a fan of game hunting and my hope is that the BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED RHINO HEAD on the wall near the restrooms was a fake.

One of the best brunch spots in NOLA! Loved everything we ordered and went back twice. Crab Scramble, Pulled Brisket, and Scallops/Fried Oysters with Grits—so good! The grits were a bit pricey ($31), but totally worth it.

Great brunch spot that is walking distance from the French Quarter. We went twice, the first time the service was spotty and steak was overcooked. They offered to remake the steak and it came out perfectly. The second time was much smoother and service and food were quick. There’s pressed juices are really good and they have a nice variety of them. Pancakes were great and they have a large menu to choose from.

So good that we came here two days in a row for breakfast on our trip as we had to try the different options it had to offer! The vegan menu is AMAZING - so many options from vegan biscuits, vegan pancakes, ranchero, scrambled tofu - such good variety. The coffee is also brilliant and it had a great selection of juices. You have to try this place - you will not regret it! Staff super friendly and helpful & had a great queuing system waiting for the table (which didn’t even end up taking that long).
Paige C — Google review
Bearcat CBD serves absolutely delicious food — I genuinely didn’t have a single complaint about any of the dishes I tried. It was one of the better brunches I’ve had in my life. That said, the atmosphere and service left a bit to be desired. The restaurant is very casual, bright, and energetic, but it can feel cramped and extremely loud, especially as it gets busy. The service wasn’t particularly attentive; for example, napkins had to be requested more than once, and our latte took a long time to arrive. We arrived around 8:45 a.m. on a Sunday and were lucky to get a table immediately. Shortly after, a line formed out the door. If we had had to wait, I might have found the experience frustrating. Overall, the food is excellent, but the combination of slow service, limited space, and the potential wait makes it a spot I probably wouldn’t return to regularly. Still, for a brunch lover who gets there early, it’s definitely worth trying.
Chloe — Google review
We visited Bearcat during a busy time, so I understood there would be a wait. However, as someone who works in a licensed and customer service setting, I also know it’s important to be prepared for all scenarios. One staff member (an older woman with a mohawk and tattoos) showed frustration and directed it at the wrong person when there was an issue with our party number. It would’ve been better if the concern was addressed directly to the person who made the booking — in a firm but respectful manner. Our waitress was friendly but a little off at times — some orders were mixed up, utensils were missing, and a few items didn’t make it onto the plates correctly. On the positive side, the food itself was very good, which helped balance the experience. For six people, our bill was over $200, so with that kind of price point, I’d expect more consistency in service. I’ll also be adding pictures of the plates we received. Overall, the experience was okay the food was the highlight, but service definitely has room for improvement.
Kasia T — Google review
How do you explain the unexplainable? Bearcat is just fanatically good, y’all. So good that we went twice—just two days apart. On my first visit, I tried something completely new: scallops and grits in the most flavorful roux I’ve ever tasted. And listen, I grew up in the South, so I’ve had my fair share of roux. This one? Next level. I also couldn’t resist their pancake—scrupulous and decadent. Don’t judge me, lol. By the second visit, I debated ordering the scallops again because I thought nothing could top them. I was wrong. The Lobster Daddy—a special that day—blew me away. Imagine: fried Maine lobster, plated in rich crawfish gravy, layered with a biscuit, and topped with a perfectly fried egg. Every bite just made me happy. And an honorable mention goes to their in-house bottled teas fused with lemonade. We tried raspberry, guava, mango, and jasmine. Each one was refreshing in its own unique way and paired perfectly with the bold flavors of the dishes. If I had to nitpick, both entrées leaned a little on the salty side, but the flavors were so bold and layered that it hardly mattered. Bearcat didn’t just meet my expectations—it exceeded them. Twice.

One of the best and most memorable chicken biscuit brunch meals I’ve had, I’m just going to forget we ordered the steak… (it was not for us) The grits were good too. Or was creamy and very savory. Each bit was met with a warm thick cream and chewy goodness. Honestly above all else just get the chicken biscuit. The chicken was super fried and crispy. Perfect spice level. The biscuit was layered perfectly and eating each bite with a piece of chicken and tasty biscuit felt so right.

Rodrigue Studios is a renowned gallery that showcases the iconic blue dog paintings, prints, and other works by Cajun artist George Rodrigue. Initially known for his evocative portraits of rural Cajun life, Rodrigue gained widespread recognition in 1984 with his introduction of the blue dog, inspired by his late pet Tiffany. Following his passing in 2013, the gallery is now managed by his family and serves as both an art space and event venue.
Excellent gallery and history of Rodrigue's Cajun roots. Love the dogs, the oak tree motif et al. Jeanne Cradic, Sales Associate, curates the gallery and weaves stories of Rodrigue's life, enhancing the experience.

We purchased numerous original signed and numbered prints from 2000-2005 in the New Orleans gallery. They came with a written guarantee for lifetime free appraisals. Unfortunately the gallery told me they no longer honor that guarantee since Rodrique has passed. We love them and they are prominently displayed in my home. Very disappointed and surprised the gallery doesn't keep their written promise.

Hotel Monteleone is a historic French Quarter establishment that exudes old-world charm and elegance. The Beaux Arts-inspired building takes guests back in time with its antique furniture, gilded mirrors, and heavy floral drapery in the 600 plush rooms. The hotel's rooftop pool offers a relaxing retreat with stunning city skyline views. Guests can also enjoy the iconic Carousel Bar, where famous personalities like Truman Capote and Ernest Hemingway once indulged in cocktails.
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful hotel in September 2025. Everything was outstanding! The lobby is absolutely beautiful. You feel as if you're staying in a European castle. The employees were absolutely wonderful. When leaving one morning, one of the doorman suggested that I put my phone somewhere other than my back pocket. Very kind! We loved the Carousel Bar! So much fun!! Both nights that we went in, we met people at the bar. Everything was a little pricey but the ambiance and service made it worth it. Our room was very nice and comfortable. The view was not so great, but we weren't there to spend lots of time in the room. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we will definitely come again!

We stayed in a king room at Hotel Monteleone, the room itself was a bit small, but that’s really the only negative from an otherwise fantastic experience. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, and the concierge went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The Carousel Bar is beautiful, and the live music adds a great touch. The only downside is that it’s open to the public, not just hotel guests, so it gets extremely crowded from open to close. Finding a seat or even ordering a drink can be tough, but it’s still worth visiting for the atmosphere. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of the French Quarter, making it easy to walk anywhere you want to go. Overall, despite the smaller room and the busy bar, we loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again.

Very happy we chose this hotel. It’s a beautiful old hotel with tons of character. The Criollo restaurant is great for breakfast. (Great oatmeal when you’re tired of heavy eating!) The Carousel bar is really fun and unique, with great cocktails. Our room was in the new tower section. Super clean and comfortable and well-serviced daily. No view at all though, but we were out most of the time. Michael the bellman was great—so kind and friendly. Juliajoy at the front desk was also very helpful and sweet. Did I mention location? PERFECT location in the French Quarter—you can walk everywhere from here. I’d definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel October 2025 king size bed in Iberville tower. The room was really nice but a little small. The service was great when it came to house keeping. The concierge Jeffrey gave us amazing restaurant choices. We took a tour of the carousel bar was worth every penny. We also dined at the Cirollo restaurent in the hotel great food with music playing. Hotel is located 1 street away from burbon and close to Jackson Square. We will definitely be returning to this hotel

Hotel Monteleone is not just living off their name - they are staying high quality and high end. We booked the upgraded king room and it was gorgeous. Refurbished with a makeup vanity outside the bathroom, high quality linens and pillows, blackout curtains, and no noise. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Carousel bar is a classic and can’t be skipped. Food is also excellent. We loved the location as well. Close enough to walk to the top spots but not noisy. They also do turn down service with water and chocolate! We would stay here again!

The rooms are beautifully decorated, very clean, and comfortable, blending classic style with modern comfort. The famous Carousel Bar is a must-visit, such a fun and unique experience with great drinks and live music. The rooftop pool and stunning city views make it even better. Everything about our stay was delightful, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this iconic hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans!

The carousel bar is so fun and a must see for Nola! Will be back again soon!

Stayed here as a referral and couldn’t be happier. The service was awesome with room service and turn down services. The room and hotel were well kept and classy, along with the bar and restaurant that were always lively. The carousel bar as the centerpiece is you sipped one of their unique cocktails or ate one of the delicious meals. The location was also great. Good walking distance from anything you wanted to see, but just down from Bourbon Street to keep the noise down to help you sleep. If I return to NOLA, I know where I’m staying again.

At Three Legged Dog, you can get a crawfish boil and some delicious ribs. The bar is run by Blake who makes you feel like part of the team. The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone there seems to know each other. Whether you're in the mood for some classic pub grub or something a little different, this is definitely the place to go!
Best crawfish we could find around the French Quarter. Open later than anywhere else and serving huge portions for prices you can't beat. Loved the dive atmosphere and classic boil set up with no frills

Best crawfish we’ve ever had! Mat and Butters are awesome bartenders. Came back 3 days in a row for crawfish and their beer specials. Open 24 hours. If you are visiting New Orleans, you have to stop in The Three Legged Dog bar!

Absolutely loved this place while visiting. Didn't hear any music just Breaking Bad' reruns on the TV which suited me just fine. I had the crawfish boil 3 times in two nights. Amazing!!! Also tried the mozzarella sticks and battered mushrooms and they were both perfect bar food snacks. Excellent service that doesn't discriminate tourists from locals. I frequent New Orleans as much as a Canadian can and I'll be back for sure!!!!

I had to ask this man who stood behind us after sitting there for 5 minutes waiting to be greeted asked this man who stood behind us how did he get such wonderful service before us who's been waiting. We arrived at 11:00 apparently it was shift change so we couldn't order no food. Don't recommend if you hungry around this time. Currently driving to down the hatch to get some food. Honorary mention to the bald head Caucasian man who ignore us with glasses 🥸

Came here 15 years ago then again in September and it was exactly as I remembered it. The divey-ist dive in Nola. Great for late night snacks but yeah probably not the cleanest. Decent drink specials and always open. Great tots and fried pickles.
Sam T — Google review
This might be the dirtiest dive bar I have ever been to, and I loved it. Many reviews say there are rats here(think how many places have them and you just didn't know), and my wife saw one but don't let that steer you away from this little gem. I recommend the crawdad boil, you can't go wrong. Beers were good and place was fun. Seriously, just get the crawdad boil and beers and you will be just fine.
Randy — Google review
The grits they make are the best you'll ever have - and I'm not much of a grits enthusiast. It's a combination of shrimp, sausage, smoked gouda, and without exaggeration and total honesty: a MASTERPIECE. The crayfish boil is also excellent. Drinks are not overpriced. Atmosphere is dive bar, but in a genuine way. Staff was friendly. Honestly, it's kind of a mind blowing hidden gem.

Virgin Hotels New Orleans is a trendy and upscale hotel located in the city's Warehouse District at 550 Baronne Street. The property offers chic quarters, a rooftop pool, cafe/bar, restaurant, and gym. It is within walking distance of the French Quarter and features two penthouse suites. The hotel boasts a passion for food and beverage, music, and culture that reflects the spirit of New Orleans.
This was our third stay at The Virgin New Orleans and it did not disappoint. We love that there is an area separated by doors from the bedroom and that the toilet and shower have their own spaces too. The location is great, the hotel is clean, the rooms are quiet (even by the elevators) and the vibe is fun. Service is always terrific. Special shout out this trip to Justin, Marvin and Isaac for making us feel particularly welcome. Already looking forward to our next visit!

My Husband and I had the best stay here. We were in town celebrating my Birthday for Labor Day weekend. The room was spacious and clean. The lighting was perfect. I loved the vanity space. The hospitality was unmatched. We enjoyed the roof top pool and happy hour. Thank you for such an amazing stay
Dana W — Google review
Even better than the photos. Other hotels have cute shared spaces, and Virgin Hotel New Orleans definitely DOES have a beautifully curated "funny library" coffee area and gorgeous dining room, but the guest rooms here are just as special--and in my experience, a lot of the time, the beauty ends at the guest room door. Our suite had an awesome layout. A hallway containing a vanity/desk with perfect lighting for getting ready led to the lounge area (big enough for a full sectional, a dining table, a minibar with minifridge and sink), but straight ahead was the bathroom. The toilet was sectioned off WITH ITS OWN SINK, then we entered the larger sink getting-ready area which also had awesome lighting. Honestly, if my lighting was this good all the time, I would never want to wear makeup. The next section was a huge walk-in tiled shower with a bench, rain shower, AND a showerhead you can use if you don't want to get your hair wet--THANK YOU. The bedroom had a king bed and electric shades, plus a TV, side tables, and another small sitting area. I LOVE when I have somewhere to sit down in my outside clothes other than the bed. It really was the peak of luxury, with the slippers and the robe that were really hard not to buy for at-home. My only critique was the flashing safety light in the bedroom, but I had an eye mask, so it was fine. The room was quiet despite being close to the elevator, super clean, too. There was an issue with my bill at the end, but Frankie fixed it and explained it with a single phone call. Great location. The food and coffee were delicious and not all that overpriced for being in a 4-star hotel in a tourist district! And the service was great, too.

My spouse and I stayed here for a Saints game and a few days following. Valet was top-tier! I never waited long for my vehicle, Justin greeted us upon arrival and helped us with a bellman! Jermani and Marvin in valet were also very kind and helpful. The front desk area can get a little crowded from check-in...etc but the area was always cleared out quickly without feeling congested for long. The rooms were extremely quiet and all the staff truthfully were extremely attentive! We loved the closeness of the hotel from Uptown to Frenchman! We would definitely stay again! The decor & ambiance was similar to other Virgin Hotels we have stayed in! Zero complaints!

We had a great time at the Virgin Hotels New Orleans! Located in the Warehouse District, we were walking distance from lots of restaurants, bars, and attractions. The hotel was so fun and inviting, very colorful and open. Our room was spotless and spacious, with city views. We had breakfast each morning at the Commons Club downstairs, serving delicious NOLA bites. The Funny Library Coffee shop was very convenient for quick bites and coffee. But my favorite area was the Pool Club located on the rooftop! It has a pool, with full bar, lounging areas and panoramic views. And at night, it turns into a party scene. The service was wonderful throughout our stay. Special thanks to Latrell for the warm welcome and assistance. Overall, I highly recommend you stay here and can’t wait to come back. Fabulous and jazzy decor! So fun and staff was outstanding. Food was amazing, particularly the breakfast in the library. Chef is very creative. The crew at the breakfast coffee bar were true baristas. Cappuccino was spot-on. It was so fun, beautiful and funky with an interior design that was out of the box! Location is so nice and within walking distance of some great restaurants if you want to leave the hotel. Isaac, valet; top notch. We are coming back

5-star experience! Every inch of the hotel, from the lobby to the bar, the room, roof top and every space in-between was beautifully appointed, thoughtfully designed and stunning! As others have mentioned, the pictures online do not do it justice. The staff were very friendly and the location was perfect. 15-minute walk to the French Quarter, short streetcar ride to the Garden District, and situated in the quiet business district. We had a fabulous time and will absolutely stay again!!

This is a great hotel in a great location (though I should note it’s about a 15 min walk to the edge of the French Quarter…a benefit in my opinion). Very peaceful and quiet, great service, decent restaurant and bar situation and very easy valet parking (though $55/night which is a little lame). Shout out to my man Justin on the valet team! He was the first and last person we saw during our stay and he was very helpful and friendly both times!

The Rusty Nail is a cozy spot in St. Joe's with an intimate atmosphere and a dog-friendly patio. The outdoor space features church pews as seating and red paper lanterns, adding to the unique ambiance. Inside, you can enjoy their famous blueberry Mojitos and a wide selection of ciders and ales. The bar is named after a Sicilian saint, reflecting the city's heritage.
We recently hosted an after party for our wedding at the Rusty Nail and it was the perfect place for it. It's a great atmosphere and a cool space, the drinks were great, and all of our guests really enjoyed it. Ivan and his team were awesome to work with, super accommodating. All around great experience and I can definitely see this place being perfect just for a hang or with a group for drinks.

A quaint neighborhood bar. Super friendly bar staff. Dog friendly too!! Kitchen is open from open to midnight, if it's super busy the kitchen will stay open longer. Burgers, wings and pizza are amazing there at a reasonable price. Kitchen staff are friendly too. Definitely worth a visit if your visiting from out of town

If I ever owned a bar I would want it to be this one! It is one of those unique bars that represent the people of New Orleans. On the outskirts of the French Quarter she draws in residents and visitors alike who want a slight reprev from the madness of Bourbon Street or a bite to eat with a frosty beverage before heading into the frey. It does get busy at time so be patient and make sure you are ready with your order and payment. Southern hospitality is a thing, but so is saltiness so smile, make new and interesting friends you never know you might just fall in love with NOLA!

Friendly low-key neighborhood bar that is very dog friendly (water bowl and treats). The kitchen opens at 5 p.m. I've only had the pizza, but it was delicious. Bartenders are very friendly.

Love the environment - super busy but worth waiting. Great pizza. Great prices on drinks and the pizza. Love that they have other food options. Food came up fast and love that they’re dog friendly Only suggestion would be to make the drinks a little stronger bc they’re a tiny bit watery. But everything else makes up for it lol

One of my favorite spots in quarter. It is literally like going to your friend's house. Merry people, good food and dogs. The good mood extends around the corner and even across the street with sometimes people setting up a couple of chairs to hang out at a local crawfish boil food truck. I've had some great times here already.

Loved this place!! Cosmo's is what you hope for in an old fashioned bar. Great drinks and fabulous service in a suburban type bar. The decor is traditional dark, glossy wood which gives you that homely comfortable feeling. Immediately relaxing and friendly. The highlight are the amazing bar persons. Hunter and Ashleigh are super friendly and amazingly talented - their cocktails are top shelf quality. Thanks so much Hunter and Ashleigh for backing a couple of old Aussies feel so welcome. You made the experience one to remember. ** Went to Cosmo's again (a victim of habit!!) and received the same great service from Marilyn - many thanks Marilyn. What a great team! Highly recommended local bar. NB. - The lower score on the food is no reflection on the bar. The food caters vary and it just depends on who is catering at the time and if it appeals to you.

Popped in as part of the Brews and Clues scavenger tour. Given some excellent reviews I was surprised the bar tender was dismissive and despite the drinks being cheap, the beer was a small plastic cup and the wine wouldn’t even use for salad dressing. But when it comes in a screw top 1.5 litre bottle then what would you expect. If you’re looking to answer the Brews and Clues question then don’t waste your time asking the bar tender

We stopped in on the last night of our trip and loved every minute of it. Our bartender Paul was such a fun and welcoming host with lots of history and stories to share and he mixes up excellent cocktails. Several locals popped in and out while we were there and chatted with us too. It’s a great spot to take a rest and enjoy an old time neighborhood hangout. We hope to come back on a Monday to try Paul’s red beans and rice and another Grandma’s house cocktail! Thank you for closing out our first trip to New Orleans on a high note!

Great little dive bar. Around 5:30-6 on a Friday it was not too crowded and we were able to sit and enjoy a local beer. Service was great, bartenders were friendly. $5 local beer on tap in a plastic cup-you can’t beat that! Also, outdoor seating along the street was available and the indoor space had big fans going and windows open! Parking is just street parking or maybe there’s paid lots somewhere?

Picnic Provisions & Whiskey is a charming picnic-inspired spot located near Audubon Park. They offer a daily happy hour with delectable options like smoked fish dip and pimento cheese. Their spicy fried chicken sandwich, seasoned with crawfish boil spices, is a standout item on the menu. The cozy decor and outdoor games add to the overall charm of this themed restaurant.
Best fried chicken in Nola. The boil batter is amazing. Loved the pickled onion on side. Super cute spot.
Aubrey A — Google review
Nothing to write home about, especially in a city like NO. I ordered the fried chicken thigh with the seafood boil seasoning. I enjoyed the flavor and the moistness of the chicken however the breading kept falling off ( the thigh appeared to be skinless with breading on it). I received the potato salad even though I wanted the potatoes. The potato salad had a Smokey flavor which I appreciated. It also had bacon and a Lays chip topping… the bacon added absolutely nothing to the dish and the lays topping while odd was okay. It added crunch and additional salty flavor. In a city like NO you can find better, less expensive, fried chicken with better parking. This place reminds me of Hattie B’s in Nashville, a lot of hype that the restaurant doesn’t live up to.
Shann L — Google review
Just wow! Run don’t walk here! Beyond exceptional chicken, just the right amount of spice, super crispy. And although they are thighs there is no bone but huge pieces so don’t over order like I did. lol Potato salad is amazing. I will be back. They need to put a location in Houston! Best fried chicken I’ve had in ages! And the service was very personal, exceptional. Lastly, you’re going to go crazy for their picnic pulp! Buy a jar before you leave too because you’re going to want this at home!!❤️

I think it was the best fried chicken I’ve had in New Orleans - maybe in the entire states! We ordered the chicken sandwich, fries and a kids menu. All was good and tasty. The employees were kind and friendly and the atmosphere was good with appropriate music outside. All in all, I can really recommend the restaurant.

What a fantastic place. We loved everything we ate - Boudin egg rolls, Pimentón cheese, potato salad, fried chicken sandwich and the salad with chicken thigh. Happy Hour offers also good with excellent cocktails, loved the Vodka gimlet. Can't wait to return and try more of the menu.

The best part of this place is the outdoor seating. The tree provides shade and the street corner isn’t too noisy. They have plenty of indoor seating as well. Order at the counter and then sit down with your number.

I dined-in during SNOLA! Their fried chicken is flavourful, moist, crispy; served steaming hot! The crawfish boil seasoning is the bomb if you like spicy. Most Excellent Happy Hour with $5 bubbles to complement the Spicy Chik! I had the spicy 2- piece Thigh Plate $15, Bubbles $5, and yes...Campfire S'mores $8! Excellent, ftiendly, prompt service (Nolan). I've ordered delivery and also dined in. Defn coming back! Great place to bring out of town visitors who love good fried chicken. And I love that you can rent a picnic basket for 20 bucks; filled with all the supplies. You order the food and drink and bam! Picnic to go!

Service was excellent! The boudin egg rolls were great and so was the fish dip. My chicken sandwich had a nice presentation, however the meat was dry and tough. Park
Jackson Square is a historic park in New Orleans, dating back to 1721 and surrounded by significant buildings. It's where the Louisiana Purchase was finalized and home to landmarks like The St Louis Cathedral, The Cabildo, and The Presbytere. Artists, musicians, and fortune tellers gather here, displaying their original artwork along the fence and sidewalks. While not an official market, the art on display rivals gallery pieces. Vendors have city permits and many have been selling here for decades.
I enjoyed being on this Square. The presence of St. Louis Cathedral as the oldest Cathedral in America from where the Square is beautiful. Very well maintained. There's a jazz player and you know you are in New Orleans. If you are driving a car, there's a convenient paid parking just a few minute walk to the Square and the Cathedral.

Jackson Square is one of the most charming and lively spots in New Orleans. Surrounded by beautiful historic buildings and the stunning St. Louis Cathedral, it’s the perfect place to take a walk, people-watch, or enjoy local street performers and artists. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of culture you really feel the heart of the French Quarter here. There are also plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby where you can sit and take in the view. It’s a great place for photos and to experience the true soul of New Orleans. Highly recommend visiting both during the day and at night for two totally different but equally magical vibes!

This is a beautiful historic site. I love visiting these kind of places. Sandwiched between the St. Louis Cathedral and the Mississippi River, it is a wonderful setting. Cafe Du Monde is right across the street! There is an open air market all around it with vendors of all types and some street performers also.

Jackson Square was beautiful and a lot of fun. Just watch out for the people trying to "give" you things that you have to buy. The cathedral was beautiful and the street performers were amazing, especially all of the musicians.

A lovely park on the river in New Orleans! There is a lot of space and places to sit, and it certainly is a beautiful space! There are also a lot of historical things around and plaques to read!! I continue to return every time I visit NOLA — it is where I find some of my favorite street performers. :)

So so beautiful! It was busy when we arrived, but not too difficult to walk around. It is very well kept, neat and tidy. No restrooms nearby that I know of though. Café du Monde is also 2 minutes walk from here.

Where do I even start from the artist? I got a beautiful print for $10, the weather was 71° which was perfect. The park was Right next to the trolley and the New Orleans hospitality cannot be beaten. A gentleman made us try beignets with him and coffee and paid for it because he's so proud of his state and what they have to offer. The street performers were so awesome. We need more of this in our life. Connecting with others and nature through food and art. We also check out the hat store and picked up a hat that's right along the side of the park. So there is so much to be offered here as the last stop was the cathedral and the ceiling was amaculate We had lunch at Monty's on the corner of the park a must see.
Jimmy B — Google review
Jackson Square is absolutely beautiful and a must-see for anyone visiting New Orleans! The park is full of history, charm, and energy — it perfectly captures the spirit of the city. The landscaping is well-kept, and the view of St. Louis Cathedral is stunning, especially when the sunlight hits it just right. What really makes Jackson Square special is the atmosphere — local artists displaying their work along the fences, musicians filling the air with jazz, and the smell of beignets and coffee drifting over from nearby cafés. It’s the kind of place where you can just sit, people-watch, and soak up the culture for hours. Whether you’re exploring the French Quarter for the first time or returning to experience that New Orleans magic again, Jackson Square is an absolute must-visit.

We ordered a beef po-boy dressed mayo on the side. Prices hmmm. It was ok! Mid at best. The place is small and EVERYTHING is old yall been in business for multiple decades upgrade everything your ancestors wont be mad. The bathroom is in need of a deep clean and update it to.
Erica M — Google review
Yoooo what a gem!! It's a small spot, but everyone is very friendly. The shrimp po-boy is amazing!!! Every bite was loaded with tender, juicy shrimp and the bread was super on point fresh. Hands down the best ever shrimp Po-Boys I've had...I could have eaten 2 more of them easily. Love the local atmosphere and vibe. love this place, when I come back to NOLA 100% going again. 100% recommend!
Hagz — Google review
After walking for hours, and finding Johnny po boys. My husband had the catfish poboy an I the gumbo, rice n beans. Yum!! Small place… not many tables. But quick turn around. Wait few minutes. Someone done. Next
Lila B — Google review
The catfish po boy was mediocre fish had no seasoning bread was not toasted and was very chewy...The alligator sausage was good. There was no crowd and service was fast and courteous though... for New Orleans which is known for great seasoning i was very disappointed. Food did not match the rating and reviews it has received.
Kash H — Google review
The old school po boy spit vibe is unique if you never experienced before. I got some voodoo shrimp po boy which was okay but can be much better. As a tourist, they only take cash and food is okay. Lower your expectations and enjoy a sandwich.
Man X — Google review
This place stayed busy and had a line out the door the ENTIRE time we were there. I had the fried green tomatoes and shrimp po boy. Was pretty good. But surprisingly the turkey club po boy tasted even better. Talk about shocked. Have been waiting YEARS to eat a po boy bc I wanted an authentic one and this place didn't disappoint. We also tried the gumbo and jambalaya. They were ok. Nothing to really rave about. Will definitely be back!!!

This is such a great place. Everyone should check it out!! The food is absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong with anything you order! We all had the crepes for breakfast. I really loved the banana crepes the most. My son had the egg & havarti crepe, which was phenomenal & also came with a small salad with the most amazing dressing. The only thing I didn't love was the coffee. The server seemed unsure about it, and it was lukewarm & overly bitter. I also asked for some oat milk, of which she brought less than a teaspoon in a little cup, which wasn't quite enough even for my small cup of coffee. I didn't notice the coffee station in the room until later, or I would have walked over to see what the options there were. Even so, one bad cup of coffee wasn't enough to overshadow how wonderful the rest of our meal was! I would definitely go here again!
Katie F — Google review
The food was awesome. I got the vietnamese bread banquette and loved it. I would recommend this place for the food. The ingredients were clean as well. The service wasn’t the best though. My family arrived right as the restaurant opened at 5, and the woman who welcomed us in was not very inviting or kind. It felt like she wanted to help us as fast as possible so she could sit down on her phone. I understand that the service industry is difficult and usually i can overlook these sort of things, but this waitress was so offputting and unhelpful. It also took ~40 minutes for the food to arrive. Great food but not sure if i would visit again or recommend this place which is unfortunate
Malaika — Google review
Food was good. Service the first time I ate here was great - there was room for improvement the second time. Great vegan menu with lots of options. Wish they had a sample platter where you could try a few things instead of having to commit to one dish. The Vietnamese bread was delightful. Overall, cool spot.
Dana — Google review
Beautiful restaurant with lots of wooden bench tables. Haitian artwork surrounds each dining area, enough for the restaurant to double as a gallery. We had a large 50 to 60 person party in the back dining area. It's the only restaurant visited during a 11 day work trip to New Orleans that had vegan meat options. We attended a brunch with gluten free tortillas and vegan sausage, all kinds of pastries and jellies. It was amazing! Clean bathrooms, friendly staff. An absolute must visit if ever in New Orleans.
EJ C — Google review
Absolute stand out restaurant. Everything here was incredible. I think they rice their potatoes or something, because the sweet potato fritters were so amazingly smooth and delicious. The trifongo was delicious. Those little fried cheese bread balls were SO good. Come here hungry, order as much as your stomach can fit. One of the best meals I've had in the past couple years. I can't really pinpoint what made their food so good, but whatever it was, I'm definitely looking forward to coming back next time I'm in NOLA. And I can't believe how reasonable the bill was for how much we ate!
Casey L — Google review
After a long day of traveling from California, we wanted an early dinner that wasn’t too heavy and had vegan options. We got to Carmo at 5:45PM and were seated immediately by a very friendly host. The ambiance makes you feel like you are somewhere tropical with a simple, no frills vibe. Now let’s get to the food… We ordered the smoked fish fritters, sweet potato fritters, Vegan Rico, Daily Rice & Beans with Sausage, and Regular Rico. The fritters came out piping hot with a great crunch but soft middle. The sweet potato fritters were a bit bland, but the aioli helped to give it flavor. The smoked fish fritters were more flavorful, but still lacked the kick I was looking for. Enter the super flavor hot sauce on the table…perfection! The Ricos were tasty and came with a side salad. The portions were a bit small but was perfect since we ordered the fritters. Again, add the hot sauce! Since we didn’t feel stuffed, we ordered dessert - Chocolate Almond Torte & Basque Cheesecake. The torte was packed with deep chocolate flavor and the almonds added a nice sweetness. It was dense but pleasant. Would have gone great with a coffee. The real show stopper - THAT CHEESECAKE! Rich flavor, fluffy texture, and the strawberry coulis added a touch of sweetness and brightness. Would go back, knowing that we have a light option for a meal especially when the heat is kicking.

This place gives the vibes of a hidden gem type of restaurant. Walking by, you wouldn’t think it’s much but the food is AMAZING! We ordered the vegan ceviche, Esmeralda salad, and vegan sausage beans & rice. The first two were GOLD! So good! I was skeptical at first but I was pleasantly surprised with the flavors and quality of all the food. The beans and rice were very basic but still ok. It was the least wowing thing. We even spoke with the folks sitting near us and they were also super pleased with their meal. We did order drinks as well which were ok. I will definitely go back to try more of their vegan menu items the next time I’m in town.
Kyra S — Google review
Super cool, large industrial building, great atmosphere. They were kind enough to take us for a late last minute dinner on a Friday night. One of the highlights was the tiradito avocado which was delish, super flavorful sauce.

Cemetery
Sights & Landmarks
St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, established in 1854, is a landmark cemetery in New Orleans known for its elaborate above-ground mausoleums, tombs, and gravestones. The cemetery's unique burial style was designed to prevent bodies from resurfacing during floods. Despite being one of the less visited cemeteries due to time constraints and other attractions in the area, it offers a peaceful atmosphere on Sunday mornings with informative tour groups sharing captivating stories about its history.
I feel odd rating a cemetery. But St. Louis #1 and #2 are by paid tour only and you can drive through this one for free. It was cold and wet so we didn't get out to walk around. There were still guided tours, but we had fun looking for the oldest tomb and mispronouncing the names. Hopefully no one took home any vengeful spirits.
Malcolm E — Google review
St. Louis Cemetery No. 3 is very well kept. It is so beautiful. We wish we had more time to spend exploring and paying our respects but it started pouring down rain while we were visiting. It’s definitely worth checking out.
Lady J — Google review
As someone who grew up in New Orleans, visiting St. Louis Cemetery #3 was a meaningful experience that reconnected me with the city's rich history. While I had visited St. Louis #1 many years ago, access to that cemetery is now limited to specific tours, making #3 an excellent alternative that's both open to the public and completely free. What sets this cemetery apart is how well-maintained it is, offering visitors countless interesting nooks and crannies to explore. The above-ground tombs, a necessity due to the city's high water levels, create a unique atmosphere that you won't find in many other places. This architectural feature alone makes the cemetery a distinctive experience. One of the most fascinating aspects of wandering through St. Louis #3 is reading the names on the headstones and piecing together family histories. The cemetery serves as a living record of New Orleans' diverse cultural phases, with distinct areas reflecting the city's varied communities. You'll find sections where restaurant chefs are laid to rest, areas dedicated to Greek Orthodox families, and plots for those who immigrated from France, among others. This organization tells the story of the city's evolution and the many cultures that have shaped its identity. I highly recommend making a stop at St. Louis Cemetery #3 when you're in New Orleans. It offers an authentic glimpse into the city's past and present, allowing you to connect with the generations who built and sustained this remarkable place.

This place is a must see. Ww didn't get a lot of time to walk it but was one of the best parts of the city tour. The old and surprisingly new mausoleums were amazing.
Scott G — Google review
Beautiful, historical, well-preserved cemetery. It features many important people and stunning tombs.
Katelyn M — Google review
Such a beautiful historic cemetery, located near New Orleans City Park. The cemetery itself is well maintained and the time of day that I went, there were almost no tourists. Certainly a great place for some beautiful photography. Many will appreciate the craftsmanship put into the stone. So glad that I went to visit.
Joe P — Google review
It’s really peaceful on a Sunday morning. There were a few tour groups going around. I overheard some of the tours and the explanations and stories about the cemetery were pretty great. It’s pretty big so you can easily spend a couple of hours here if you really wanted to! I’d say it’s a nice post-museum activity for a nice stroll!
Max C — Google review
Lot of old soul is rested in peace, huge cemeteries. Well organized and maintained. Can be toured only on available hours, need not necessary that you need a guide to tour. Easy accessible and visible from main road as well. It’s a huge area. Takes 1-2 hrs to check till end. Can be accessed with own also.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of the French Quarter, The Cornstalk Hotel is a charming retreat housed in an exquisite mansion dating back to 1816. This Victorian gem features 14 private rooms adorned with luxurious antique furnishings that exude historic elegance. While it offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for those seeking respite from the lively Mardi Gras festivities, guests can still immerse themselves in the local culture.
Stayed at this classic b&b niche hotel. Might as well looked for De Havillan and Gable on the set of Gone With the Wind.
Spence R — Google review
The location of the hotel was fantastic! You definitely feel like you are in old New Orleans. We used one of the hotel apps and got an amazing deal. We stayed on the first floor and the room was tiny but comfortable. It had only a couple of cons; there are no temperature controls in the room (luckily the room temp wasn't too bad the night we stayed), and it kind of feels like you're staying in the guest room of a friend's house. We could hear folks at the front desk talking from our bed.
Jay A — Google review
My brother recommended this hotel and I’m glad we listened to him! This place was absolutely gorgeous!! The rooms were wicked clean and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The staff could not have been any nicer!! We will definitely be staying here again the next time we travel to New Orleans!!
Danielle H — Google review
Charming! I love this place. It is smack dab in the middle of the French Quarter. The staff is friendly, you can leave your car parked there safely for a small fee and come and go as you please. The rooms are particularly quaint and true that New Orleans feel. They have a small coffee bar but it's next door to a fantastic coffee shop too. The bed was SOOO comfortable! The history of the hotel is pretty cool. The only thing that bothered me was a street musician playing in front of the hotel late at night...but it's New Orleans so we kind of expected there to be noise.
Sarah — Google review
Love the history of this hotel! The courtyard is very relaxing and perfect for people watching. My only complaint is the shower water pressure was so low and finding a tolerable temperature of water was very challenging. Overall, we are very happy we chose to stay here.
Kaylee S — Google review
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This is a historic building in the historic French Quarter on Royal Street. The property it'self is extremely old-world(y) and beautiful. I stayed in the European Deluxe room, and it nice, however, the downside is, obviously the room is extremely small (I went alone) and if I were to have been with someone (in that sized room) it would have been uncomfortable. Additionally, I think it's important to note, for anyone who plans to stay in that room (216) the bathroom was TINY, only a stand up shower that was too dark, moldy smelling and lacking in hot water lol, with ALL that being sad, the staff was super friendly and nice, and the location was simply perfect! The building felt safe and overall comfortable. A block away from Bourbon street but far enough to not be RIGHT in the middle of the mess! The property itself is worth looking at even if you don't stay here, very beautiful!
Kat — Google review
Very nice atmosphere at this hotel. The location is perfect and within walking distance of anything in the French Quarter. Service was good and the ladies at the front desk were extremely friendly. The room was small but I could not expect it to be bigger being that this place is 200 years old.
Twista D — Google review
Really lovely hotel within close proximity to everything you could want. Staying in the Elvis Room, which is lovely! The person at the desk mentioned that the bathroom might not be desirable, but I love it. Small, but cozy and cute, which is worth the history.
