Shopping mall
Shopping
CentralWorld, formerly known as the World Trade Center, is a massive shopping complex located in the heart of Bangkok's Sukhumvit district. It is one of the largest shopping centers in Asia and continues to be a top attraction in Thailand. The mall features eight floors filled with a wide variety of shops offering everything from fashion and technology to beauty products. Visitors can also enjoy dining at numerous national and international restaurants on the upper floor.
CentralWorld – massive and lively shopping hub! 🛍️🌆 CentralWorld is one of Bangkok’s largest and busiest malls. It has an incredible variety of international brands, local shops, restaurants, and cafes, so there’s something for everyone. The mall is modern, clean, and well-organized, but it can get very crowded, especially on weekends or during holidays. The open spaces and impressive atrium make walking around enjoyable, and there are plenty of spots for dining and relaxing. If you love shopping, food, and experiencing the bustling city vibe, CentralWorld is a must-visit. Just be ready for crowds!

As a tourist, I really enjoyed visiting this mall! It’s a great place to shop for both luxury brands and local Thai labels. The mall is big, clean, and beautifully designed — perfect for walking around and exploring. There are so many restaurants and cafes to choose from, and there’s almost always an event going on. I also love that it’s connected by a walking bridge to nearby areas, which makes it super convenient to get around. Definitely a must-visit spot when in Bangkok!

CentralwOrld is one of the most impressive shopping malls in Bangkok! 🛍️✨ It’s huge, modern, and offers an incredible variety of international brands, restaurants, and cafés – you can truly find everything here. 🍜👗☕ The atmosphere is great – a perfect mix of luxury and relaxation. The food courts and rooftop bars are definite highlights. 🍹 Everything is spotless, well organized, and easy to navigate. A perfect place to shop, dine, and enjoy the Bangkok lifestyle!

A super huge mall with plenty of shopping 🛍 and F&B. It's also convenient to get here since it's near the BTS station. I came here 3 consecutive days to get food & desserts. Loads of great foid here. The shopping brands are also more down to earth. Not just caters for the rich.

CentralWorld in Bangkok is a shopper's paradise! This massive mall has everything you could possibly want, from high-end brands to local finds. I was blown away by the variety of stores and the modern architecture. It's easy to spend hours wandering around. Plus, there are tons of restaurants and cafes to keep you fueled up. If you're looking for a one-stop shopping and entertainment destination in Bangkok, CentralWorld is a must-visit!"
SYED M — Google review
Luxury mall with lot of different outlet. Good for window shopping. The electric equipment’s prices are really good here but shoe prices are way higher than it should be. Nice place to roam around as a tourist. Need cash card to buy food is the only thing I struggled personally apart from that everything is ok.
Nirooshan N — Google review
This place is gigantic and has everything you could want, went looking for some designer sunglasses and jeans. Everyone was helpful and I didnt have any issues communicating in English. I had a burger at the shake shack, delicious not too expensive, well run and clean establishment 👍 you could easily spend days shopping here before seeing everything
Faded J — Google review
CentralWorld in Bangkok is one of the best shopping centers I’ve visited. The mall is huge, modern, and extremely well-organized, making it easy to explore. It offers a *complete range of fashion*, from everyday clothing to high-end designer brands, so there’s something for every style and budget. What really stands out is the food selection, especially on the **7th floor**. There are countless options — from delicious Thai dishes to international cuisine, along with many bakeries and dessert shops. Whether you want a full meal or just something sweet, you’ll definitely find something you love. Overall, CentralWorld is a perfect place for shopping, eating, and spending the day. With its variety of big-name brands, trendy fashion stores, and amazing food choices, it’s a must-visit destination in Bangkok.

Shopping mall
Shopping
The Platinum Fashion Mall is a popular multilevel shopping center located in Bangkok, Thailand. Situated across the Pratunam Market area, it offers a wide range of fashion styles and products, from Thai designer collections to international trends. With over 1,300 shops spread across four floors, this six-story complex is known for its wholesale and retail fashion clothing and accessories. Visitors can also enjoy the food court while exploring the mall's offerings.
Paradise for shopping lovers. The mall is very used and it will take around two days to cover it completely. But the collection is very nice. You will get all the trendy outfits here, but I would not say that the price is very cheap. It is just that you had a good collection at a good price here. It is at a very accessible area and you can just walk around and shop. There are also options to eat so that you don’t get tired in between your shopping. Just remember you can Bargain so be ready to negotiate for your shopkeepers
Pallavi C — Google review
Platinum Fashion Mall is one of the popular shopping spots in Bangkok, especially known for fashion and clothing items. However, I found the overall experience a bit disappointing. First of all, the place is extremely crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. It’s difficult to move around freely, and some areas feel a bit too packed, which can be overwhelming and tiring. While the mall is often advertised as a wholesale market, the prices are actually quite expensive compared to other wholesale areas like Pratunam Market or even some Chatuchak sections. Many shops have a minimum purchase requirement for wholesale prices, but even then, the discount is not very significant. So if you're looking for real wholesale deals or affordable shopping, this might not be the best option. Another thing to mention is the lack of halal food choices. For Muslim visitors, the mall only has two small halal restaurants, which is very limited considering how big the mall is. It would be great if there were more variety and larger halal food options to make it more inclusive for all shoppers. Also, the location isn’t very convenient if you're relying on public transport. It's not directly connected to the BTS Green Line, and you need to walk a considerable distance or transfer to reach it, which can be uncomfortable in Bangkok’s hot weather. Overall, while there are many shops and styles available, the experience was not as convenient or affordable as expected.
Hushang J — Google review
I recently visited Platinum Mall in Bangkok during my trip, and I can truly say it is the ultimate shopping destination in the city. The mall is spread across multiple floors, each filled with countless shops offering an incredible variety of clothing, accessories, souvenirs, and more making it a true paradise for shoppers. What I really appreciated was the convenience of having everything under one roof. From shopping to food courts with plenty of dining options, and even facilities like money exchange counters, it’s designed to make the experience easy and enjoyable for tourists. If you get tired, there are places to sit and relax before continuing your shopping journey. Overall, my visit was absolutely worth it, and I highly recommend Platinum Mall to anyone traveling to Bangkok who wants a one-stop place for shopping, food, and convenience.
Suraj S — Google review
Shopper's paradise! You'll get everything here. Can haggle. Quality is good for the price but varies from shop to shop. Food court serves great food, desserts. Be ready to spent atleast half a day. Right across the road there's krungthong Plaza for plus sized clothing which is less crowded but really good. The Everything 20 store didn't impress me much, though. Kookkaai shop in second floor (Oxford) has gorgeous long dresses in rayon cotton material around 500 THB each Food court is nice with good variety and sufficient cleanliness.
Leotales N — Google review
One of the best places in Bangkok for fashion shopping! 🛒 Platinum Fashion Mall has hundreds of shops selling clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories at wholesale prices. Great variety — from trendy streetwear to formal outfits — all at affordable rates. The mall is air-conditioned, organized by floors (ladies’, men’s, kids’, accessories), and much easier to browse than outdoor markets. Perfect for bulk shopping or even just picking up a few stylish items. Tip: Go early to avoid crowds, and bring cash for easier deals.

Great place Mostly nonveg eatries Quality of the clothes here if good for the Price. Buyer 2 half shirts each 450 bhat from here their colour didn't faded even after a 1 year with machine wash. Electronics is cheap and reliable.

Easy to get lost in the mall it’s very vast. It’s pretty much crowded all day but its got its own great deals. The restrooms also offer a self weighing machine for only 1 Baht
Logan C — Google review
This is one of the biggest shopping malls in Bangkok, packed with endless variety. From casual, semi-casual, and formal clothing to second-quality branded shoes, accessories, handcrafted items, and food stalls—you’ll find it all here at very reasonable prices. The place is massive, spread across more than 7 floors. I visited for 3 days in a row and still couldn’t cover the entire mall—it’s never enough for crazy shoppers! The market is always buzzing, as many buyers come for wholesale purchases to resell stock. While prices are fair, bargaining works better if you’re buying in bulk. For single items, sellers usually don’t drop their prices much. Overall, a vibrant, bustling shopping paradise that can easily take up more than just one visit.

Chicken restaurant
Restaurant
Kuang Heng Pratu Nam Chicken Rice is a popular spot in Bangkok known for its delicious Hainanese chicken rice, often considered a rival to another famous chicken eatery in the area. The menu includes fried chicken and rice, fish noodle soup with tom yum flavor, and pork satay. While the service may be challenging due to language barriers, the food is described as cheap, tasty, and filling. Customers recommend trying the Thai tea along with the flavorful chicken rice dishes.
We came to this area for the famous Hainanese chicken rice but that famous place was just too crowded on the weekend so we came to this restaurant nearby. They also have rice, but they offer other food too. We ordered two chicken rice, 10 satay skewers, 5 pork and 5 chicken, and also a green tea latte with grass jelly. The chicken rice is similar to that famous one as the most important thing is the spicy soy sauce that they provide. The pork skewers were better than the chicken ones. The milk tea was so good, too. We had a very satisfying meal here, and the total was just a bit more than 200 baht.
Nora M — Google review
This was our second visit to Kuang Heng Chicken Rice in Pratunam. While the staff aren’t particularly friendly, they’re still decent—and we keep coming back because we genuinely enjoy the food. The steamed buns could’ve been better—they weren’t warm—but everything else hit the spot. One small suggestion: it would be great if they offered the chicken satay in smaller portions, as 10 sticks is a bit much for just two people wanting it as a side dish.
Ferdiantono L — Google review
The food is really good here. Only thing is not pretty here so drop your food safety standards and just trust the process. There is no shop front and the back is open so there was a random cat walking through as it pleases. The odd bug flying around, basic English but you can get through with tourist number signing and pointing to pictures. We ordered the satay, finished and ordered it again because it was so good and wasn't enough. I loved them flat noodles with fish balls
Lai L — Google review
Walked by and was really hungry haha. Ordered the steam and fried chicken. Taste was okay, nothing really stood out. Rice was lacking a chicken rice taste, the steam chicken was tender and fried chicken didn’t have an oily taste which is good. They gave sweet chilli and spicy chilli, which added taste when paired with the rice and chicken. Also ordered bittergourd soup with pork ribs, was really nice and tasty and is good for a rainy day. Price point wasn’t expensive Overall was good!
Jeremiah S — Google review
Not as crowded as the nearby competitor, so to me the atmosphere is more comfortable and better. I feel the service is good, couples young staffs standby, the young lady one was so attentive, humble and friendly to me. I amazed of how many menu option here. Instead of their signature Hainanese chicken rice, you also can find noodles, fish maw, satay and even Hainanese style breakfast meals and snacks. Tastewise, I loved their boiled chicken rice. The rice is tasty and fragrant while the chicken itself is soft and tender. The dipping sauce is superb! Don't forget to order their bitter gourd pork rib soup too, perfect. The soup is fresh and tasty. Obviously cooked for a long time to get the softness of the gourd. Tried their pork satay also, no complaint at all, tender meat, not burnt and well done grilled. The sweetness of the peanut sauce is boosting the taste. Overall, satisfactory. Highly recommended.
Rbw D — Google review
Delicious chicken rice! I tried the mixed version with both fired and cooked chicken. I preferred the fried one as it was flavour, crispy, fresh and the sweet chilli sauce was just divine. Nonetheless the cooked one was equally nice (in my opinion it matched the quality of the Michelin recommended neighbours.) It’s a perfect place for a quick satisfying meal.
Oliwia W — Google review
The staff were nice and the food was very affordable and decent. The hainanese chicken was great with the sauce provided as well as the chicken satay. The drinks were quite refreshing too!
Alexa D — Google review
First time here and it's right across the road from Platinum. There are 2 green looking stores but they're actually the same. The one nearer the junction focuses more on noodles while the one few units down is mainly chicken rice. Regardless they're the same store. Had the steam chicken rice and the chicken is good. Chilli sauce is also interesting (spicy with a hint of sweetness). Only gripe I had was with the rice as it was less fragrant and wetter than I expected. Overall a good experience regardless. Chicken satay is also great! Total bill was about 350THB. Very value for money! P.S. the floors are very slippery in there. So please be careful.

Thai restaurant
Paste Bangkok, a renowned restaurant in the Thai culinary scene, offers a unique dining experience with its royal and creative Thai cuisine. Led by chef couple Jason Bailey and Bee Satongun, the establishment showcases authentic high-end Thai dining that has earned them a Michelin star. With a focus on original flavors and textures, the menu features innovative dishes based on recipes from 1870-1930.
Paste is hands down one of the most mind-blowing and awe-inspiring restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. From start to finish, every aspect of the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The chef’s ability to craft dishes with such unique, bold flavors that still complement each other perfectly is truly impressive. It’s no wonder the reservation process is a challenge—this restaurant has earned its stellar reputation in the culinary world. I highly recommend trying just about everything on the menu—seriously, you can’t go wrong. From the appetizers to the entrees and even the desserts, each dish is not only a visual masterpiece but also a delight to the taste buds. The quality of the food is matched only by the exceptional customer service, which makes for a truly unforgettable dining experience. If you haven’t been to Paste yet, what are you waiting for? We left completely in awe and I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. It’s the kind of place where both the food and the service are so perfectly in sync, it’ll leave you wondering how they manage to pull it off. Definitely worth every baht.
Belle Z — Google review
Every now and then we all need to experience something unique like a tasting menu. Paste has a very nice posh atmosphere and the outdoor view at night is really amazing. The service is great. The staff was always very attentive, took the time to explain each dish, answered any of my questions, and was very friendly. The food was great and very satisfying. What I really enjoyed is how every dish is unique, but you can tell how each dish is built on the foundation of traditional Thai cuisine. A very unique and enjoyable experience.
Mario L — Google review
The service stood out the most at Paste. From the very beginning we had the most attentive service from our waiters. I really enjoyed our dining experience. We were offered complementary starters and dessert from the chef which felt very special. We ordered the beef Hang Lay curry and crab omelet. The beef was falling apart to perfection. I enjoyed the crab omelet but I would not order it again. I also love how private our booth was, it felt like we were dining completely alone.
Innika Z — Google review
What a beautiful and stunning restaurant. They even had a little stool for my bag to sit on, which I thought was a cute touch. We had a group of 4 and did the tasting menu with the lobster add-on. Definitely worth the money for the whole experience. It ended up being about $200 USD/person, which isn't cheap for Thailand, but compared to most Michelin experiences you could get in the States, it's considerably affordable, especially when you consider all the food and drink we ended up having. I loved the inventive takes on Thai dishes in small bites and the different textures. Also appreciated that the menu revolved around rice. Everything was delicious to me, personally. I know there were some textures my friend wasn't a fan of, but the flavors still delivered. The drinks were just as great as the food. I had THE BEST mocktail ever here – The Emerald – which has pandan, Asian citron, lime juice, and ginger ale. I loved it so much that I have my bartender husband recreate a close version for me frequently back at home lol!

Although this establishment intimidates the casual diner, I encourage those with the fine taste and generous budgets to enjoy a unique diner at Paste. This restaurant showcases professional table waiting and beautiful presentation. The dishes are unique and you’ll have fun trying the appetizers and cocktails.

Thai restaurant
Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin, situated in the Siam Kempinski Hotel, is a sophisticated Thai restaurant renowned for its use of fresh and homemade ingredients. The kitchen's commitment to crafting everything from scratch, such as fish sauce and prawn crackers, reflects its dedication to quality. Founded by Henrik Yde-Andersen, whose Copenhagen-based restaurant Kiin Kiin has consistently earned a Michelin star, Sra Bua offers an innovative take on modern Thai cuisine.
The most amazing lunch. We ordered the 3 course meal but chose the different options and shared… so it felt like the 5 course meal. The whole experience was just incredible. A very sensory experience. Service was also fantastic. Highly recommend in Bangkok! Also very reasonably priced

My partner and I had a wonderful dinner here. We really enjoyed the restaurant's atmosphere. The food is fantastic and full of creativity, which brought lots of joyful moments to us. They even guided us to the kitchen back of the house to fully appreciate how their cuisine is made. Thanks for the Peachy service. It was one of the most memorable nights in Bangkok. Highly recommended!
Nien-Heng Y — Google review
The decoration looks great but the food and service quality undermined the whole experience. Too many tables to serve resulting in staff rushing to present the dishes. Felt more like a mass production line rather than a relaxing fine dining experience. Though the food looks interesting as a concept, the sequence and combination of format of the dishes didn’t meet expectations, especially the taste that did not really complement one another. Still I appreciate that they made it an interactive experience with magic tricks and more, but the quality and value for money was underwhelming.

Absolutely amazing! It deserves more than just 1 Michelin-star. Beautiful, tasty, surprising, innovative cuisine. It's my second time here and not only I was not dissapointed, but it was even slightly better than last time. Thanks to Pompimol and all the super friendly and professional staff members!!! Highly recommended.

Such great Thai experience! First of all the interior and space, high ceilings, water, beautiful furniture and colours. This is a cozy luxury Thai dining experience. Two chefs, Michelin-starred Chef Henrik Yde-Andersen and Resident Thai Head Chef Berm Chayawee and their team has created menus that makes you leave with a smile on your lips. Their current ”Whispers of the Land” menu focuses on local ingredients from different parts of Thailand. Everything came with a story from the very attentive waiters.

October 8th, evening - I don’t even know where to start — Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin completely blew me away. The whole experience was just next level. Our servers, Jay Jay and Troy, made the evening unforgettable. Jay Jay was beyond professional, super calm and confident — you could tell she’s been doing this for 100 years. Everything about her energy was so sympathetic and effortless. Troy on the other hand had us laughing all night — he kept throwing in little jokes and brought such a light, personal vibe to the table. The two of them together were the perfect duo. And the food… honestly, one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. Every dish was cooked to absolute perfection — not one single thing to improve. The timing, the service, the ambience, the whole flow of the evening — flawless. I’m genuinely stunned by the level of hospitality. Huge thanks to Jay Jay and Troy for making it so special — you guys nailed it - definitely will be back!

It was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. It was a taste journey for all to enjoy. The Pad wine was something to die for and I would thoroughly recommend it to anybody who wanted fine dining experience in Bangkok.

My husband and I had the immense pleasure of dining at Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin on the first night of our 21st anniversary trip, and it was an experience we will cherish forever. This Michelin Star restaurant truly offers a journey through Thailand's rich and diverse food culture, and every moment was a testament to their culinary excellence. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Jimmy, Ta, and Troy went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect. Their attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism added a special touch to our celebration, making us feel incredibly valued and pampered. We opted for the 7-course menu, and each dish was a masterpiece. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were evident in every bite. The ceviche was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. The beef was cooked to perfection, tender and succulent, and the various Thai curries were a delightful exploration of traditional flavors with a modern twist. Every course was a new adventure, beautifully presented and expertly crafted. The balance of flavors, textures, and aromas was simply outstanding. It was clear that a lot of thought and passion went into each dish, making the dining experience not just a meal, but a memorable journey. In summary, Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin exceeded all our expectations. The combination of extraordinary food, exceptional service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere made our anniversary dinner truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to experience the pinnacle of Thai cuisine. Thank you, Jimmy, Ta, and Troy, for making our evening so special. We loved every moment and can't wait to return!

North side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with The Grand Palace, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

The Grand Palace, a historic complex in Bangkok, was established in 1782 and is now open to the public as a museum. It features over 100 buildings constructed over two centuries, including Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the revered Emerald Buddha. The palace grounds are expansive and showcase stunning golden palaces, intricate Buddha statues, and more than 50 temples.
The Grand Palace is maybe the most notable tourist attraction in Bangkok. It represents the culture and identity of the Thai people. We were lucky enough to get there via private tour bus. Getting tickets was a breeze. I just used the ticket machine and paid it with my credit card. The palace complex is massive. Each building provides a glimpse of the Thai monarchial life. The intricacy of the building design and the colors are truly amazing. It definitely shines like gold in a busy urban jungle like Bangkok. Visitors are required to be respectful of the culture and need to dress properly. No revealing clothes for women. Skirts and pants should be below the knee in length and shirts must have sleeves on them. Other than those restrictions, I still believe that the Grand Palace is truly a Thai icon and visitors should pay a visit at least once in their lifetimes.

Awesome place to go. Must go attractions. Really majestic. They have an entry fees for all. Do not bring Drone or Selfie stick as they check your bags. Bring water and caps as it gets hot and humid. Great views to know the history. They also have a Buddha pagoda inside, you can sit and pray.

The Grand Palace is one of the most impressive and beautifully maintained landmarks in Bangkok. The architecture, intricate details, and vibrant colors make every corner worth exploring. It truly showcases Thailand’s history, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage on a grand scale. The grounds are extensive and very well organized, with clear paths and helpful signage. Despite the number of visitors, the flow feels manageable, and staff are present throughout to guide crowds and enforce dress code requirements. Arriving earlier in the day helps avoid the heat and makes the experience much more comfortable. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is absolutely breathtaking and easily the highlight of the visit. Every structure within the complex is stunning, and the level of detail is remarkable. Photography opportunities are everywhere. It is important to dress appropriately and be prepared for security screening, but once inside, the experience is smooth and enjoyable. The palace feels clean, respectful, and well preserved. Overall, the Grand Palace is a must-visit attraction in Bangkok. It is beautiful, culturally rich, and truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Thailand.

The entrance ticket costs 500 Thai baht, and although it’s one of the most popular attractions among tourists, the visit is still very pleasant and well organized. You can visit the entire area in about one to one and a half hours, depending on how much time you spend exploring each spot. In some buildings you must enter without shoes, so it’s a good idea to wear something easy to take off. Overall, it’s an absolute must-see — one of Bangkok’s most iconic landmarks and definitely not to be missed! 🌟

Grand Palace – Bangkok One of the most magnificent landmarks in Bangkok! 🌟 The Grand Palace is a breathtaking combination of Thai architecture, history, and culture. Every building is richly decorated, and the intricate details of the temples, walls, and statues are truly stunning. The palace grounds are extensive and very well maintained. Highlights include the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), beautifully adorned with gold and colorful mosaics. Entrance fee is 500 THB, and modest clothing is required — shoulders and knees must be covered. They provide sarongs if needed. 🧥 Visiting early in the morning helps avoid crowds and the midday heat. Guided tours or audio guides are highly recommended to fully appreciate the history and stories behind the palace.

The Grand Palace is stunning and absolutely worth visiting. Even though part of it was closed for a royal funeral ceremony, the experience was incredible. The golden details, murals, and overall atmosphere are unforgettable. Dress modestly, arrive early to avoid crowds, and buy tickets only at the official entrance. It can get very hot, so bring water and take your time exploring. A true highlight of Bangkok.

It is undoubtedly the most famous tourist attraction. One of the most beautiful temples I have ever seen. Beautiful courtyards, a place with history. Entrance fee is 500 TН. Last entry time is just before 3:30 PM. I recommend you visit it before noon. You will see the brilliance, beauty and effort with your own eyes!

Definitely worth a visit. Get there early to avoid the queue and just ignore anyone outside offering to help. Do remember to cover up, long trousers or full skirt plus shoulders covered. Also try the queen's textile museum it's fascinating and would be a visit by itself anywhere else. You need about 3 hours to do it all.

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also known as Wat Phra Kaew, is a sacred site located within the Grand Palace in Bangkok. It houses the revered Emerald Buddha, which was brought from Laos in the 18th century. The temple is part of a vast compound that includes the former residence of Thai monarchs and spans over 94.5 hectares with more than 100 buildings representing royal history and architectural innovation.
The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, located within the Grand Palace complex, is one of the most beautiful and spiritually rich places in Bangkok. The entrance fee is 500 Baht, which gives access to both the temple and the Grand Palace — a fair price for the experience you get. The architecture is absolutely stunning, with intricate gold work, colorful murals, and traditional Thai design that reflects centuries of craftsmanship and devotion. The Emerald Buddha itself is quite small but deeply revered. Though photography is not allowed inside the hall, the spiritual atmosphere is strong and calming. The surrounding temple buildings and statues are equally impressive and worth exploring in detail. The entire area is clean, organized, and well-preserved. There’s a strict dress code, so make sure to wear long pants and sleeves, or you’ll have to rent clothes before entering. Despite the crowds, the management is efficient, and the visit feels peaceful. Plan to spend at least 1.5 to 2 hours here to take everything in. A must-visit landmark that beautifully blends history, religion, and royal heritage. Don’t leave Bangkok without seeing it!

A wonderful temple complex! Very well maintained, because it is the religious place of the royal family. All the buildings are amazingly decorated, in bright colors, with extraordinary meticulousness. It looks like the palaces from childhood stories. Very crowded, rigorous control at the entrance, with scanners and military personnel. You need about 60-90 minutes to visit it, together with the Royal Palace (this is only the outside)

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is one of the most stunning and spiritually significant places to visit in Bangkok. The moment you enter the complex, the level of craftsmanship and detail is breathtaking. The golden structures, intricate mosaics, and beautifully maintained grounds make the entire area feel special and deeply meaningful. The Emerald Buddha itself is much smaller than I expected but still beautiful. The atmosphere inside the temple is quiet, respectful, and serene, giving you a moment to pause and appreciate its cultural and religious importance. Even with many visitors, the environment still feels calm and well managed. The complex is spotless, well organized, and easy to navigate. Staff are present to guide guests and ensure the dress code is followed, which helps maintain the dignity of the space. It is worth taking your time here because every corner has something beautiful to see. Overall, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha is a must-visit landmark in Bangkok. It is visually stunning, historically rich, and offers a peaceful experience right in the heart of the city. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to appreciate Thailand’s spiritual and artistic heritage.

One of the most impressive temples in Thailand and an absolute must-see in Bangkok. The architecture, detail, and atmosphere are breathtaking. It can get very crowded, so it’s best to visit early in the morning. Despite the crowds, the experience is unforgettable and truly showcases the beauty of Thai culture and craftsmanship.

A breathtaking temple complex. The whole area has incredible buildings, some are not open to the public but you can still walk around them and enjoy the facades and architecture. Like any other Buddhist temple you need to take your shoes off to visit the Emerald Buddha which is magnificent.

Interesting. Very crowded with tourists but still beautiful and well kept. Happy to have been there but if you can try and choose a time to avoid the crowds. Also, no shade. So on a sunny day take an umbrella and plenty of water 💧

A very stunning layout with immersive history all around. Definitely recommend coming here early(opens at 8:30) to avoid the crowd ( we reached at 10am and it was packed like a can or sardines!). You should either get a guide or an audio guide headphone which was 200 bhat per device (more detailed and probbaly accurate and you can listen in your pace), but you'll need to hand over your passport or credit card as a tourist - scary but we were able to collect it back immediately at the exit from the designated return point. To completely explore the temple is a solid 1 hour journey with the audio listening. Or more. Minus the heat and crowd it would have been even more pleasant, but that helped us move quicker to the exit in search of respite from the nauseating crowd. The return on the audio guide is also timed to 1.5hrs or we'd have to pay extra. The temple and it's surrounding structures is 100% visit and was mesmerizing even under the blistering sun.

Place of worship
Wat Pho, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is one of Thailand's most revered temples. It houses a 46-meter-long reclining Buddha statue and the largest collection of Buddha statues in Thailand. Many statues were brought from ancient capitals like Ayutthaya and Sukhothai. The temple offers a serene atmosphere amidst its maze of temples and statues, providing a peaceful retreat despite the bustling surroundings.
I recently visited Wat Pho in Bangkok, and it was a truly memorable experience. The temple is not only one of the most iconic landmarks in the city but also a place filled with peace, culture, and history. The highlight of my visit was, of course, the magnificent Reclining Buddha, it’s absolutely breathtaking and larger than I had imagined. The temple complex is beautifully maintained with stunning architecture, intricate details, and serene courtyards that make you feel calm as you walk around. I also appreciated how organized everything was for visitors, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s definitely a must-visit spot in Bangkok for anyone interested in culture, history, or simply looking to experience something truly unique.

Wat Pho is an absolute must-visit when in Bangkok! The temple is breathtaking — rich with history, stunning architecture, and incredible detail in every corner. The highlight, of course, is the magnificent Reclining Buddha. Its sheer size and serene expression are truly awe-inspiring, and no photo can quite capture the sense of peace and reverence you feel standing before it. A few helpful tips for fellow travellers: * Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy a quieter experience. * Dress modestly — shoulders and knees should be covered as a sign of respect. * Carry some small change for entrance fees and donation boxes. * Take your time exploring the temple grounds — Wat Pho is also home to beautiful stupas, peaceful courtyards, and the birthplace of traditional Thai massage.

A magnificent temple in Bangkok Thailand, with lots of scenery. It is located just about five minutes walk from the Grand Palace. The Reclining Buddha can be found in one of the Temples. There are food and drink options for those who might need to refuel while experiencing the wonders of Wat Phra Chetuphon... Also, the Thailand Traditional Medical School is available for those of you who would need a relaxing Thai massage. If you decide to visit, please do leave enough time for you to experience all there is at Wat Phra Chetuphon....

The temple is first on the list of six temples in Thailand classed as the highest grade of the first-class royal temples. Wat Pho also spelled Wat Po, is a Buddhist temple complex in the Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Thailand. It is on Rattanakosin Island, directly south of the Grand Palace. Known also as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha,a 46 meters long and covered in gold. Its sheer size and serene expression are truly awe-inspiring, and no photo can quite capture the sense of peace and reverence you feel standing before it. The temple is breathtaking — rich with history, stunning architecture, and incredible detail in every corner. Wat Pho is also home to beautiful stupas, peaceful courtyards, and the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. The temple is considered the earliest centre for public education in Thailand. It houses a school of Thai medicine, and is also known as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage which is still taught and practiced at the temple. A few helpful tips for fellow travellers: * Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy a quieter experience. * Dress modestly — shoulders and knees should be covered as a sign of respect. Totally, a must visit place in Bangkok along with Grand Palace.

A must-visit in Bangkok! Wat Pho is home to the impressive 46-meter-long reclining Buddha and beautiful temple architecture. The entry fee is just 200 Baht and includes a free bottle of water. This place is absolutely HUGE, so give yourself at least 2 hours, or maybe even close to 4-5 if you want to be very thorough, visiting every nook and cranny. Entry is 300 baht per person for foreigners. There are lots of bathrooms, water/drink stations, first aid areas, so it's very tourist friendly. Just be sure to wear clothing that covers your shoulders and knees (men AND women) because the dress code IS enforced here. Please be respectful!

Wat Phra Chetuphon, better known as Wat Pho (วัดโพธิ์), is not just a temple; it is an essential pilgrimage for anyone visiting Bangkok. While famous for the Reclining Buddha, this sprawling complex offers so much more depth, history, and beauty than most visitors expect. The Main Attraction: The Reclining Buddha The centerpiece is, of course, the breathtaking Phra Phuttha Saiyat—the Reclining Buddha. Seeing the sheer scale of this 46-meter golden statue in person is an awe-inspiring experience that photos simply cannot capture. The craftsmanship is exquisite, particularly the mother-of-pearl inlay on the soles of the Buddha’s feet, which detail the 108 auspicious characteristics of the Buddha. Be prepared for a crowd inside the main Viharn, but the flow is managed well. Don’t forget to drop coins in the 108 bronze bowls lining the wall for good luck—it’s a serene and rhythmic tradition. Beyond the Statue What truly makes Wat Pho special is the vast, peaceful compound outside the main hall. Many tourists rush through, but I highly recommend spending at least an hour exploring the four chapels, the beautiful cloisters containing nearly 400 golden Buddha images, and the stunning chedis (stupas) adorned with colorful ceramic flowers. The level of detail in the tile work is mesmerizing. The Birthplace of Thai Massage Wat Pho is also the first public university in Thailand and the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. If you have time, getting a massage at the Wat Pho Thai Traditional Medical School within the grounds is a must. It is authentic, professional, and deeply therapeutic—the perfect break after walking around the city. Practical Tips * Dress Code: Strict. Shoulders and knees must be covered. * Timing: Go early (8:00 AM) or late afternoon (4:00 PM) to beat the biggest tour groups. * Hydration: Your ticket includes a free bottle of water—look for the redemption stations. Verdict Wat Pho is a masterpiece of Thai art and history. It is less chaotic than the Grand Palace next door but equally majestic. A true jewel of Bangkok.

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a grand Buddhist temple situated on the west side of the Chaophraya River in Thonburi, Bangkok. Its iconic central spire is adorned with intricate tiles and stands out with its colorful and detailed design. The temple's history dates back to King Taksin's restoration in 1768, giving it a significant place in Thai heritage.
Wat Arun is absolutely stunning! The temple is beautifully designed with so many intricate details, and it looks even more magical when the sunlight hits the colorful tiles. Walking around the grounds feels calm and peaceful, and every corner is photo-worthy. One of the best parts is that you can rent traditional Thai clothes right outside the temple. It’s not expensive, and it makes the whole experience more special. Many people, including myself, did photo shoots in the outfits, and the photos came out amazing with the temple as the backdrop. If you’re visiting Bangkok, this is a must-see spot. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy the beauty of the temple at its quietest.

Came here by boat, which stops directly by the Temple. International tourists pay a small entrance fee of 200 thb, while national visitors won't have to (fair enough - I paid and my wife went in for free). Wat Arun is the "Temple of Dawn" and is a Buddhist temple. The main prang was completed in 1851, after nine years of continued construction. The main feature of Wat Arun is its central prang, a typical leap tower in ancient Khmer, which is encrusted with colourful porcelain. You can see the temple from far away, especially from the boat. You can walk around freely and even climb the stairs (to some part). There are so many details to find and to explore. Really a stunning piece of both history and architecture. You can also rent out some traditional clothes if you want to take some special photos. Some shops selling souvenirs, clothes, arts and crafts are on the grounds as well. Also free toilets. Surely one of the great things to check out when in Bangkok.

The Temple of the Sunset is a must-visit. It’s very beautiful and worth exploring to learn about its history. Originally, it was the first thing ships would see in the distance to know they had arrived in Bangkok. If you have time, go to the opposite riverbank and watch it light up at sunset—it’s a stunning sight.

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchaworamahawihan is a temple with a long history and is a must-see for tourists. The prang of Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchaworamahawihan is the temple's most striking Thai architectural feature. It consists of a 67-meter-high main prang and four smaller secondary prangs surrounding the four sides. The original prang was built during the Ayutthaya period and was further extended by King Phutthaloetla Naphalai and King Nangklao. It is adorned with exquisite glazed tiles and Benjarong bowls. This prang bears symbols related to the Traibhumi concept.

We came in the morning and felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! 200 baht per person for foreigners. Clean bathrooms available for free, and entry includes two small bottles of water! Make sure you wear proper clothes (covering shoulders and knees for men and women) although I will say I didn't see the dress code enforced here at all compared to Wat Pho and The Grand Palace. Selfie sticks/camera tripods are allowed but just be cautious and respectful.

Went there this past Wednesday around 15h30, and it was full. Didn't take long to get in though, you buy a ticket at the gate. There are also many photographers who offer clothes and accessories rental at 100 baht, then charge 2000 baht for photography. We rented clothes but too our own pictures. People were walking around everywhere, having photoshoots too. It's beautiful and well maintained. There are big posters explaining Buddhism, as well as small pamphlets to take with you. It would be great to have more stalls with the history of the temple, so that it's educational on that front too. There is a refreshments stall inside where you can buy beverages and ice cream. I'm glad I went. I learnt a lot about Buddhism.

This temple is another example of Thai folk art. 1656 Ayutthaya period This temple, built, stands majestically to this day.It is questionable whether such a beautiful building can be built even in today's modern era. There is a tall tower in the middle, flanked by four smaller towers, each tower built and decorated with colored stones. If you come to Bangkok and don't visit this place, you are definitely unlucky.

Nusara - นุสรา is a new venture by Chef Thitid Ton Tassanakajohn, known for his Michelin-starred restaurant Le Du. This establishment aims to bring Thai cuisine back to its roots with a focus on intricate flavors in a sophisticated yet homey setting. Overlooking Wat Pho, the restaurant offers a twelve-course 'Colorful Thai Cuisine' menu that puts a contemporary twist on traditional dishes.
Our dinner at Nusara was absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing, the space is beautiful and the staff is lovely. The whole dining experience was very well curated, with a first part being guided to different parts of the restaurant (kitchen, a bar area at the top floor), and the rest at the table. The staff guides you through every dish, bringing to the table what was used, with details and origin of the dish. The entire menu is an explosion of flavors, spices, textures. My whole group was very happy. Everything was amazing, from beginning to end. For sure I’ll be back!

I had the chance to dine here January 2025. From the moment you walk in you are taken on an amazing food journey. I would say this restaurant is worthy of 1 or 2 Michelin stars. The view and setting are one of a kind. The food is exciting and creative. The wine list was spectacular. I would happily return and I encourage you to go and experience their hospitality.

The food was wonderful. However, I think too much was given for chance of complain, e.g. the dish with 4 finger food (Peanut relish, … thai green banana chilli relish … fermented fish … sweet dancing shrimp)was of my favor and the ocra and star fruit with the fish was not too good either. The presentation was great. I love seeing all ingredients. Just be a little careful as one came with a small cockroach. It is still 9.5/10!

We had 4 delicious bites before being seated at our table and they were all outstanding so we were getting very excited for our dinner. Sadly the dinner courses were extremely underwhelming and we so wanted to be ‘wow, that was the best thing we ever ate’ but that did not happen. The cocktail pairing we did was really good and the first few desserts were excellent. But sadly the overall food experience was very disappointing.

A lovely journey through Chef Ton’s heartfelt tribute to his beloved grandmother. Housed inside the old town of bangkok with stunning temple view of the iconic wat pho, the walk through roof top to dining table is a perfect set for what’s to come. The course dinner is an excellent take on Thai Cuisine that encapsulates the stories of its history, spicy on the palate but not too over whelming. Interesting introduction to those who never try and once do, you fall in love 😍 Great service and a memorable experience!

I had an unforgettable evening at Nusara, filled with warmth, elegance, and impeccable hospitality from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the door, the evening promised something truly special. We began our journey at the atmospheric ground-floor bar, where plush seating, rich hues, and soft lighting created an irresistibly cozy ambiance. The staff’s warmth and attention to detail instantly put us at ease, making it the perfect welcome to the night ahead. Next, we were invited behind the scenes into the kitchen. There, we were treated to our first two bites—delicate, creative amuse-bouches that hinted at the exceptional culinary journey to come. The sensory experience of tasting something so thoughtfully prepared in that intimate space marked an exciting beginning. From there, we ascended to level 4, the open-air bar with a breathtaking view of Wat Pho—its golden spires and temple architecture glowing in the evening light. Two more exquisite bites accompanied us here; each was a harmonious blend of flavor, art, and the serene vista beyond. Our evening continued on level 3.The dining area, with its elegant setting and attentive service, felt both refined and deeply personal. Each dish that followed unfolded like a chapter in a beautiful story—rich in authentic Thai flavors, artfully presented, and unwavering in quality throughout the night. What truly elevated this experience was the staff. From guiding us seamlessly between spaces to sharing stories behind each dish and accommodating our pace, their warmth and professionalism added so much to the evening’s charm. In every sense—from atmosphere and views to the dishes themselves—Nusara delivered an authentic, soulful journey through Thai cuisine. It was a night that celebrated tradition, creativity, and heartfelt hospitality.

Thai restaurant
Supanniga Eating Room, Tha Tien is a charming three-story shophouse located in Thong Lor. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant offers affordable yet excellent food in a chic atmosphere. The owner prepares rare family recipes from Trat, a town on Thailand's eastern seaboard. The extensive menu features hard-to-find old-school dishes that leave diners eager to return for more.
pretty darn good option. Food is creative and tasty, portions large, inside river adjacent view, 2 blocks from the pier. Thai focused menu. spicy soup even for the initiated. a little expensive but not unreasonable. friendly service that is barely seen around. best combo of leisure and quality in the area.

Food was average, it’s missing the “wow” factor being a Michelin recognized restaurant. We ordered most of the recommendation but didn’t live up to the hype. The creativity of some of the dishes are worth noting hence the 4 stars. Compliment to the staffs who are very professional and attentive to customers’ needs.
Franz M — Google review
Supanniga serves flavorful, simple Thai food that masterfully exemplifies the "less is more" approach. The dishes showcase a disciplined focus on highlighting proteins and bold, authentic flavors rather than relying on culinary gimmicks. Standouts include the fried rice, reminiscent of bagoong rice, a creamy seabass soup, and a meaty crab omelette. While the drinks and dessert were unfortunately a bit forgettable and could be more distinct, the warm, fast, and topnotch service was impeccable. Food is then 4.5/5. With its perfect ambiance overlooking the temples, it is an essential stop to carve into your Bangkok itinerary for a memorable temple day.

Restaurant was small, but cosy. The first floor dining area basically looks out to the Tha Thein Pier for the ferry service to Wat Arun where the monument can be seen across the river Was probably placed at the most strategic viewing corner for our table of 4. Best views at the 2nd level terrace which was hot and humid. Food was good, ingredients were fresh. But not mind blowingly so. Would I go back? Maybe.

We visited Supanniga Eating Room Tha Tien (ห้องทานข้าวสุพรรณิการ์ ท่าเตียน), a restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide, so we came with high expectations. The food was excellent — authentic Thai flavors, beautifully prepared, and well presented. On taste alone, it definitely deserves recognition. However, the overall dining experience wasn’t as impressive. The staff informed us that walk-ins are not allowed to sit at the upper deck — those seats with the nice river view must be reserved one month in advance. So despite the restaurant having great scenery, we were seated indoors without much ambiance. Service also felt very technical and cold — efficient, but lacking warmth or hospitality. It almost felt like they were going through the motions rather than genuinely welcoming guests. Still, the food quality is strong and worth trying — but if you want the full experience including river views, better book very early.

Food wasn't the best, it's either too salty or too sweet. We ordered all the recommended dishes, turns out only the beef salad was okay. Staff attitude and services were top notch. As for restaurant's atmosphere, choose indoor level 1 area. The 2nd floor rooftop was so clustered, barely able to let anyone move around plus the heat, don't worth the hype. In summary, an overrated and disappointing experience.

Amazing overall dining experience. My only feedback is the table is a bit small for all the food we ordered lol had to scramble to finish some so they can place more on the table. Loved the food and chill atmosphere with the riverside view. The highlight dishes were the seared pork slices and the Thai tea pana cotta - would come back for these!

Thai restaurant
Asian fusion restaurant
Nestled near the iconic Wat Arun and Grand Palace, The Sixth is a charming café managed by a young couple. Their specialty lies in serving authentic and hearty Thai cuisine, with their tom yum goong being a standout dish - boasting tangy, sweet, creamy, and spicy flavors. Although the wait during peak hours can be long due to limited seating, the green curry and shrimp cake come highly recommended.
Tourist-friendly and super affordable! I visited this place based on a friend’s recommendation before heading to the palace and I was pleasantly surprised. The grand palace was delicious, the prices were very reasonable (especially considering how close it is to the palace), and the service was excellent. The venue itself is also very comfortable and welcoming. Highly recommend trying the Tom Yum soup and the papaya salad, both were outstanding! Definitely a great spot for a tasty meal in the area.

I’m Thai. I can say this restaurant is more than just tourist attraction 🥹🫶🏻 The taste is authentic, the price is reasonable, The portions are large. The staff is really having a service mind. She saw me and my sister wearing Thai costume than quite difficult to move so she give us extra desk for our bag. At first I expected nothing just want to escape heavy rain outside but turn out this restaurant is truly hidden gem 💕

What a cozy place! I visited this beautiful place in January and couldn’t be happier. I have ordered Tom Yum Goon with rice and Papaya salad, and it was delicious. Both dishes were moderately spicy and well balanced. I also recommend to try Thai Ice Tea which was quite refreshing. I highly recommend this place and hope I’ll visit it soon!

Nice spot right by the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, making it the perfect place to rest and refuel. While it's very tourist-friendly, the food is pretty good. We loved the papaya salad, pad Thai, and the jelly omelet with chicken green curry. It might not be the cheapest or most authentic food you'll find in Thailand, but it's a great option for a comfortable, air-conditioned meal after some sightseeing. Just be prepared for a potential wait—the space is small and can get busy. Though we went on a Monday at ~1pm and waited only 20-30min.

Nice restaurant with exotic decoration, only 3 minutes walk from Wat Pho. The food are cheap and delicious, mostly <200 baht. We ordered tom yum and green curry. Although we asked for no spicy, the green curry is still a little bit spicy. It tasted sweet with coconut milk. The toilet is very clean ✨

The food was really good, it was spicy just like we requested it and it was really affordable. It was comfort food, tasty and the portion size was also good. 10/10 for us.
Anish U — Google review
Unfortunately the food was below average. Everything is washed down for tourist supportability level of spiciness, which means everything is not spicy. Other than that, the tom yum was not tasty, just very hot and sour. The pineapple chicken had 3 small pieces of pineapple and no sauce. Otherwise, the food looks good. There were some people taking extremely loud in Spanish, but this was not the restaurant’s fault.

Pad Thai was delicious and it's close to the tempel. Portions and prices were nice. It's a bit small so don't expect too much.
