Calypso Cabaret is a vibrant transgender cabaret and burlesque show located at the Asiatique riverfront market in Bangkok. The show features stunning performances by drag and transgender artists, offering a fully inclusive environment for entertainment. This glitzy Las Vegas-style production showcases jaw-dropping sets and routines, featuring themed music, dress, classical performances, and popular songs.
Book thought Klook for a package (cruise + show), but we arrived late due to the traffic jam. The lady in reception helps us to change the next cruise and the next show. The cruise finished at 2145 and the show start at 2145 which means we will be late for the show. The lady is so helpful and assist us for late entry. The show was wonderful and the stage is so close to the seat. The actors performed well and atmosphere is good, worth for a visit!

I booked the tickets through an agency which I would not recommend. I had a lot of troubles getting in. Once approved and let in, the theatre is quite nice. The show overall was entertaining. All artists were having great costumes, good dance moves and a lot of make-up. Good experience for about one hour. Prices for tickets rather high.
Serge K — Google review
Show was a nice amount of time, not crowded at all. Nicely cooled for the weather. They provided opportunity to take photos after. The music in the performances was also nice and catchy with good performers. Nice way to spend some time out. Kid friendly as well. The place was also close to a little strip mall so lots to do before and after.
Lili — Google review
Very entertaining! The costumes are so intricate and the girls are so beautiful. The performers are interactive so do expect some interaction if you are sitting in front. Some performers are not of the best quality so their flaws do stand out but overall kudos to them for showing up and performing. You get to take a pic w the performers (100 baht per lady) after the show. The free/welcome drink is just tea at the entrance. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. You can dress casually to this event but the glam from the ladies will make you feel so underdressed.
Emily T — Google review
The BEST show in town if not the world. Non stop entertainment for almost one hour . Very well organized tables and welcome soft drink . We enjoyed it fully . Thanks to ALL.
Drmobaid O — Google review
Really enjoyed the show from the beginning to the end, great atmosphere, lovely location. I would recommend to everyone. It is very high performance and standards with beautiful people, decor and music. So good, what an ambiance.
Veronique H — Google review
Although not as famous as Tiffany’s or Alcazar, the Calypso Cabaret Show is still a hidden gem worth experiencing. This ladyboy show features a talented and charming cast—some of them truly beautiful—and delivers an evening full of color, music, and laughter. The performances are highly entertaining, blending glamour with humor. I especially enjoyed the funny lady with short hair—she brought so much energy and personality to the stage. Each act felt well-rehearsed and visually impressive, making it a great option for those looking for a unique cultural show. The venue is conveniently located, surrounded by small shops where you can browse snacks or souvenirs before or after the show. It’s definitely a fun evening out and a great way to experience something a bit different while in the area.

A must see performance in Bangkok. Even though I liked the one in Phuket, but this one has better and more aesthetic concept for the viewers.

Cultural center
Siam Niramit Bangkok is a must-visit attraction for those interested in Thailand's rich history, culture, and traditions. The theater is adorned in contemporary Thai style and offers a complete experience with a mini village, restaurant, and souvenir shop. The main show is an impressive three-part performance featuring live elephants, dancing, and over 100 performers that vividly depict the country's history. Before the show starts at 8 p.m.
One of the best shows around the world. A true tribute to Thai culture and history. MUST watch show if you are in Bangkok. No need high value seats to enjoy it. Also have a artificial min village and some small performances out of theater. Buffet food was okay. Visited twice till now.
Mahbubul I — Google review
A wonderful experience and a great time for the family. Greeted by 2 beautiful elephants who amused the crowd and were so friendly. The large open air area hosted traditional cultural Thai dances with many colourful/interesting costumes. There were several other huts or houses which exhibited interesting Thai culture type exhibits. Indoor there was a large auditorium which had shows and other entertainment. Staff were very courteous and welcoming. A great place for family entertainment and definitely worth its price.
MeT — Google review
Amazing choreography, sophisticated stage and prop design, creative practical effects, diverse costume design, flawless transition. This stage performance has it all. It has a gigantic stage and they made full use of it with a very immersive performance with multiple layers of stage prop that makes for magical experience. The pre-show at 7pm sets the stage well with 3 sets of Thai dance performance. There's some arcade style stations at the courtyard, while a further walk inside will bring you to a mini cultural Thai village. You're able to feed the elephant at the courtyard, feed the fishes at the cultural village, experience classic Thai music and learn about a vast array of Thai culture there. Overall it was a fantastic experience. Recommended to get the upgraded seats to experience the best view at the centre, as the regular seats are placed all over the less-than-ideal areas. Not great when viewing the multi-layered stage prop. The buffet was great too with a wide array of delicious dishes, though not necessary if you've already had dinner before coming.
PS C — Google review
An excellent way to spend your evening , be it solo or with friends and family . Apart from the show , they have an experience area where they have recreated old Siam village , with artisan, musicians , cooks , elephants and lots more . Best time to be here is 6:00 - One can spend an hour or more interacting with demos Outdoor pre show starts at 7:00 for 30 mins, you can dance with the performers ( wait for them to call you ) Indoor show begins at 7:30 and lasts around 80 to 90 mins.Photography is not allowed during indoor performance . And if one tries the staff will immediately warn you . Buffet dinner is average . They have free shuttle to nearest MRT Check out various websites for discount tickets . Kids below 90 cm can enter free

Splendid arrangements. The show itself was out of this world. Nothing less than mesmerizing. Absolutely stellar stage design, beguiling soundtrack and superb costumes and depictions. Strongly recommended to tourists who want to explore the cultural side of Thailand. 80 mins of enthralling experience.
Rajiv R — Google review
Amazing performance really enjoyed the show. The preshow entertainment and the replica village were great. The actual show blew me away, costumes set design and choreography were amazing! Truly worth the money. I hope the elephant used for feeding pictures is treated well 😢. Tip; Don’t bother with the premium seats, standard is just fine. I recommend getting there at least 1.5hrs before show starts at 8pm to see all the pre show elements.
E A — Google review
The place is a great place to not only watch Thailand's popular cultural show but to see it's vernacular architecture and way of life in the past. I would suggest one gets there early so you get to roam around inside well before the show starts. The show starts on time and it's an engaging one. The stage props and the show's special and lighting effects are amazing. You need to surrender your cameras and tablets before the show starts since they don't allow video recording during the event. No food and drinks except bottled water are also allowed inside.
Jon ( — Google review
The show was amazing- huge stage, spectacular sound & visuals effects, elaborate costumes! It's also listed in the Guinness World Records for its large stage production. Take selfies with their actors and actresses after the show since photography is not allowed inside the theatre. Before you leave, join the community dancing outside. It's really fun! :-)

Dance club
The Golden Dome Cabaret Show features extravagantly dressed and stunningly beautiful ladyboys who lip-sync and dance to popular hit songs, showcasing their charisma and personality. The show includes contemporary dance forms such as hip hop, ballet, and Bollywood, with performers delivering equally stunning performances dressed as both men and women. While some non-Thai performances had off lip-syncing, the evening ticket price was considered worth it by many visitors.
Golden Dome Cabaret Show - A Dazzling Night Out! The Golden Dome Cabaret Show was such a fun and unforgettable experience! The performers were incredibly talented and full of energy, with stunning costumes and perfectly choreographed dance routines that lit up the stage. The entire show was vibrant, glamorous, and full of life from beginning to end. Performances typically last about an hour and showcase a mix of international dance and songs, with several costume changes and musical acts. The show has been recognized with awards, including the 2017 Top 10 People's Choice Award by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Located in the Huai Khwang district, the venue is easily accessible via public transportation. The combination of a luxurious theater and a prime Bangkok location makes the Golden Dome Cabaret Show a must-see attraction for visitors seeking a unique and entertaining evening.
Hatyja N — Google review
Golden Dome Cabaret Show features beautiful performers and provides a very entertaining experience in a positive way, without resorting to silliness or self-mockery. Only a bit slapstick at the end, but not bad. They also mentioned at the end of the show that they are actively promoting equality and empowerment for trans people which I completely support. Touching. It’s probably the best cabaret in Bangkok, or even in the whole Thailand. The show is also affordable, and the venue is easy to find with comfortable seating. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Thailand.
Ferdiantono L — Google review
This was such an amazing experience. I took my mum here for mother's day. The place was easy to find. Seating was comfortable. The show had such lovely actors. The stories were interesting. The colours and vibrancy was unreal. The costumes were exotic. The stars were gorgeous! We loved the show and 5he ambiance as well. You can also take photo's with the stars after the show and pay a tip to them. That part was a bit hectic because they would gang up in two' or threes and expect you pay all 3 of them. That was a bit unpleasant. And the groveling to tourists to take photos. But once paid you get only a few seconds to take pictures before they grab the next client. So even if the pictures were bad, you couldn't take another one.
Dr D — Google review
Great show! Definitely playing to various tourist groups. One number was Indian, another Chinese, another Japanese. They even did a Marilyn Monroe hava nagila. Dancing was pretty good. Not as good of a show as Simon Cabaret in Phuket but definitely a fun time. And you can take photos/videos during the performance. And there was a box office kitten!!!
Melanie F — Google review
It was fun! The show is about an hour long, different lip-sync and dance numbers - folk and traditional, cabaret and pop. After the show performers will come out and invite you to make pictures with them. We took photos with one group and every one of them wanted 100 bahts. I reccomend this show - it's fun, friendly and colorful!
Lucky L — Google review
A night I will never forget, that’s for sure. Very theatrical performance with beautiful costumes. Not a typical cabaret, it’s very tailored to tourists. Nice to see people living their best lives on stage!
Jordan G — Google review
Had a great time at Golden Dome. The performers were interactive and adorable. Not the typical over the top show in Thailand if you know what I mean. The show is catered towards Asian foreigners if you ask me. So yeah it was fun for my wife and me to watch such an exciting show. Definitely recommend!
Pohan T — Google review
Actors, actress and the crew try their best for a wonderful show. Music, dance, etc. are with good quality. Price is reasonable, and the ticket availability on the website is not quite accurate. Expect some extra activities if you sit on the front row or on the seats close to middle aisle.

Rajadamnern Muay Thai Stadium is a historic sports arena in Bangkok that has been hosting Muay Thai kickboxing matches since 1945. The stadium offers an electrifying atmosphere with passionate fans and young fighters. For a better view of the fights, the club class seating provides an elevated perspective, and affordable drinks are available. Additionally, visitors can explore the Museum of Siam for an informative experience and enjoy a theatrical performance of Muay Thai Live at Asiatique.
Second time going to the fights. First time in this stadium. Really fun times and highly recommend to all fight fans. It’s every night so pick an evening and enjoy the show. The traditional music was great. The atmosphere was amazing. The light show projected on the ceiling was top notch. Can’t wait to go back
Michael M — Google review
My first visit to this famous Muay Thai stadium was a really fun experience. The stadium itself is modern, clean, and big enough to host an exciting show. The ticket price isn’t cheap, but I’d recommend getting a Club Seat — the view is great and you can really feel the energy of the fight. The VIP lounge was open but unfortunately very low, and the view wasn’t clear, so it’s not really worth it. A nice surprise is that they sell beer and popcorn, which makes the night more enjoyable. There are 5 matches every night, and between fights, they have some fun extras like camera moments, couple cam, and dance battles. It adds a bit of entertainment to the experience, though it could use even more interactive elements to make it livelier.

This is "THE" experience for everyone, fight fans or not. I am very happy to have come to see some fights. Getting to the stadium by rail (BTS) was a good walk but well worth it. The atmosphere was great! The crowd was respectful to all of the fighters, the fighters brought their A game as every fight was entertaining. Staff was kind and helped to find my seat which was extremely helpful. Seating is not bad and what I thought were nose bleed seats in Section 8 were just right for the experience... I could see everything!! The store as you enter has just what you need to take home a piece of the experience. This is a must go if you're in Bangkok. If you're thinking about going, stop, get your tickets as soon as you can (they sell out quickly) and go!!

One of the best nights I’ve had in Bangkok. I watched the RWS Muay Thai show at Rajadamnern Stadium in the VIP area and it was incredible. The energy inside the stadium was wild, with the music, lights, and crowd all coming together perfectly. The VIP area was really comfortable with great service, good drinks and snacks, and a perfect view of the ring. You can feel the power of every hit and see how skilled the fighters are. The whole experience felt authentic and exciting from start to finish. If you’re visiting Bangkok, don’t miss this. It’s the real Muay Thai experience, cultural, intense, and unforgettable!!!

Amazing experience at Ratchadamnoen Stadium! The atmosphere was electric — the crowd’s energy, the live Muay Thai action, and the sound of each strike made it unforgettable. 🥊 Everything was well-organized and clean. The seats offered a great view from every angle, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are also food and drink stalls inside, which made the night even more enjoyable. If you’re visiting Bangkok, watching a live Muay Thai match here is a must! 🇹🇭🔥 #RatchadamnoenStadium #MuayThai #BangkokExperience

Thanon Khao San, a bustling urban area, is a popular resting place for backpackers offering various types of accommodations, shops, and bars. Once known as a hippie and backpacker haven, it has now evolved into a more upscale destination while still maintaining its affordable lodging options. Visitors can enjoy shopping for second-hand English books and Thai souvenirs such as clothing, jewelry, and DVDs. Additionally, the area is famous for pirated movies and fake designer products.
A super busy and vibrant street during the night. We went there for a late night walk. The street was buzzing with people and loud music everywhere. We had some snacks at some kiosks and we walked around for almost an hour. Ideal palce for people who like to party and enjoy their time.

After taking a break from visiting several places around Bangkok, I went to this street to look for food. There are many choices of stalls and restaurants selling food from Halal to non-halal here. I saw a stall selling crocodile meat (I didn't buy/taste it). There are also liquor bars, hair and nail beauty stalls, and jewelry. You can come and see for yourself the excitement of the night market.

Sala Chalermkrung Royal Theatre is a grand venue in Bangkok that showcases weekly Khon dance performances, as well as concerts and special events. The theater hosts traditional Thai masked dance shows with over 60 performers, featuring authentic Thai singing, dancing, acrobatics, and acting. Visitors can enjoy these cultural performances with the same ticket used for the Royal Palace and can also take advantage of free shuttles from the palace to the theater.
This is one of the great initiatives of Thailand tourism. If you purchase a Royal palce ticket, you get this show complimentary. This is a hardly 15 mins show that depicts Ramayana... but the good part is this also shows Hanuman's past or previous years before meeting Rama. The way they have presented this all is visually very stunning, and music is top notch...composed by live artists. I recommend everyone who visits bangkok, they should visit and see this play/act.
Vijay N — Google review
The theater has air conditioning the show was nice and not too long. Quite good to get a short view of theatre in other cultures. And last but not least it was for free including transfer from the grand palace (actually not free but included to the ticket of the grand palace)

The performance at the Kong Theatre is truly beautiful, offering authentic Thai art and mythology brought to life. The show features live music and acting, with clear explanations and translations that make the intricate storyline easy to follow. There is free transportation from the exit of the Grand Palace to the theatre's entrance. The best part? The show is included with your palace admission ticket, making it a perfect and captivating conclusion to your royal visit.

I watched Khon performance for the first time and I was really impressed. The staff were very kind, welcoming, and always smiling. The performers were so dedicated and truly professional. The ticket price was very reasonable. 🚗 Parking is available at The Old Siam. 🎭 There are 3 showtimes: 1PM, 2:30PM, and 4PM. I really recommend everyone to come and experience it!

Went for the free masked show which you get from the tickets of the grand palace. The show was decent. Worth a visit if you’re in the area. Its a nice cultural experience and the theatre is very nice. The show is a short 20-25 minutes show which is free.

I didn't know its ticket was included in the grand palace ticket. Awesome show and highly educational about thai culture and history. Beat time is around 2pm . Show will start at 2:30 pm.

Historic theatre with beautiful architecture and traditional Thai performances. The Khon dance show is impressive and well presented, offering great insight into Thai culture. The staff are welcoming, and the venue is well maintained. A worthwhile cultural experience in the heart of Bangkok.

I recommend you to arrive there quick because the seat can get full very quick, it’s was very nice. If you are foreigner you better sit in the middle area they have subtitles for you but if you sit in the front you can see the details from them. I just know they have shuttle bus from wat arun too!

Lounge
The Stranger Bar, known as the "House of Drag Queens," is a popular compact LGBT hangout in Bangkok. It's renowned for its creative cocktails and nightly drag shows that create a lively and vibrant atmosphere. The bar has been repeatedly acclaimed as one of the best gay bars in Bangkok, offering a great start to any evening.
If you’re willing to come earlier (between 9:00 -10:00) so you can get seats/standing places with a view of the stage this place is a 5/5 experience. The tables are FREE it is just about when you arrive unlike other well known drag bar. The queens are so unique, talented, and full of nerve and charisma. The wait staff are super attentive to make sure you get your drinks. The price is more than reasonable as it includes two drinks and a fantastic show. Make sure to bring cash to tip the queens, the bar can break up big bills too. I have also been here for an event that hosted a super famous drag race winner from Taiwan. In that case, the event was poorly organized and I would not recommend attending large scale events here because the space simply is not set up to showcase queens in the way. They need a bigger stage and venue where people can see. This place is a MUST visit if you’re coming to Bangkok.

It was an amazing experience!
Such a great show pulled up by all the queens.
Saturday show ended at 3am.
Luck to have the special guest from Chiangmai.
Definitely worth the tickets!
Hope everyone shine like the diamonds!

One of the best drag shows i have ever seen in my life, they are so beautiful and talented. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I had an amazing night here, if you are looking for a gay place to have some fun and drinks, this is definitely the place!!

Had the best time at The Stranger bar. I went on Thursday, which was all star night, meaning some of the queen's who had competed on drag race Thailand performed. Show started at around 9.45 and there were 3 sets, last performance ended just before 1.30am (I think). I got there around 9am and could grab a table near the front. But there are tables if you get there a later and space to stand. Each performance was different and all very entertaining and fun. Lots and lots of laughter and singing.the host for the night was hilarious and everything is in English. Between sets there is music and you can dance or chat outside. I went alone and quickly got chatting to loads of people, so didn't feel left out I don't drink, so can't comment on drink quality, but you get two included with the entrance fee (460thb) so really good value. As with any drag show, you tip the performers you like; bring notes or thay can change at the bar. Don't forget to tip the bar staff too! I highly recommend it!

One of my favourite bars in the whole world! The queens put on such an incredible show you absolutely can’t miss it. Such a fun vibe inside, helpful staff and lovely drinks. You’ll want to go back every night, just like we did

The performance was wonderful! All the queens are really funny and interactive. But the service was not the best tho, the servers kinda being pushy with the drinks. They kept trying to take my glasses or bottles away before I even finished and ask me if I wanted another one. Need some improvement

Been to Thailand many times but never done a drag show. This place had many great impersonators a safe and tasteful show. 500 baht to get in redeemable for 2 drinks samsong and coke was one of the drinks where you didn't have to spend more as the free drink coupon is for 200 bhat. It's a fun time.

Bangkok Island is a popular floating venue that offers unique experiences along the Chao Phraya River. It hosts DJ-leaning music events and occasional indie band performances, featuring diverse sounds from Bangkok Invaders, Disco Diaries, and DJ Mae Happyair. The atmosphere aboard the cruise party ship is described as electric, with vibrant crowds and upbeat music against the backdrop of a mesmerizing sunset. Visitors can enjoy cocktails on deck while taking in the beauty of Bangkok's skyline.
Bangkok Island – Bangkok’s Floating Party Paradise If you're looking for an unforgettable night out in Bangkok that goes far beyond the usual rooftop bar or club, Bangkok Island is your ticket to something truly special. Moored along the Chao Phraya River, this unique floating venue blends the energy of a music festival with the charm of a river cruise. From the moment you step onboard, the vibe is electric, think open-air rooftop dance floor, colorful lights, and a diverse crowd ready to dance the night away. UPDATE: Clearly you don't know what Galentines is (it is single ladies celebrating Valentines day) I won't be back, no worries. If you read carefully I NEVER said Bangkok Island is bad venue, It is unfortunate you didn't actually see the whole review. - you shouldn't have people on your ship who are highly unorganized to come as it RUINS Bangkok Island reputation ... YOUR reaction to my reviews then also shows how you respond to your customers instead of improving what actually went wrong with your "organizers" not your ship. Anyway, I have met the owner a few years back, Yuval. Call me anytime. 😊 😒😒😒😬😬😬😬 Came here with 3 friends for a Galentines Day, the comedy cabaret! Very disappointed with the people who put on the show The comedians were terrible and ended up leaving while the 4th comedian came one a girl and we literally couldn’t stomach or laugh! No food was available on the ship! Only drinks! Only beer was available with the 300 Baht show ticket not other drinks like cocktails. I had called to find out what time the show started and I was told on the phone it started at six but to be there by five for the playlist, which I don’t know what playlist they were talking about. So we get there a little bit late because of the traffic and the first comedians started at seven. Why I was told to be there early is beyond me? When my friend got there, they told her that the show starts at 9pm so we were there quite early as on the phone I was told to be there at 6pm latest. Not really sure what the heck was going on, the organizers was definitely not organized. We got our tickets and our free tickets that was supposed to come with our purchase tickets was not given to us. We had to go back down and get them. We walked around all of the flower market to find something to eat, because there was nothing available on the ship. Extremely disorganized, not sure who organized it, but it was not what I was expecting at all. 👎🏼👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 Make sure to follow 💕 Fauzia on her food, travel and lifestyle adventures in Bangkok, and beyond all our social media on IG Facebook and of course our YT videos are amazing! 🤩 THANK YOU 🙏🏼💥💥💥🤩 click the link in the bio!

If you are looking for a classy venue to enjoy beautiful Bangkok and the Chao Praya River, then there are no shortage of other regulated boats that can ensure exactly that. My experience was 4 straight hours of contending with unruly and drunk tourists the entire night. I spent close to $150 on a $25 dollar bottle of liquor just to spend the entire evening watching unruly tourists dump their cigarette butts and expired marijuana joints on top of the table. But according to the operators, I should have taken my overpriced bottle of alcohol and stood in a corner and kept my mouth shut because them lining their pockets with tourist dollars is more important than customer satisfaction. To add insult to injury, a group of tattooed American motorcycle thugs forcibly took the table, and I had no choice but to remain stuck on the boat until it returned back to port. When I complained about the experience, the operators started victim-shaming and hurling insults at me, citing that I somehow was the problem, and not the heavily intoxicated passengers on their boat. At the end of the day, this is nothing more than an unregulated tourist trap full of obnoxious tourists atypical of what you would find in places like Pattaya and Ko Phangan. If I wanted to drink liquor with a bunch of drunks, then I could have easily went to any dive bar in Bangkok for a fraction of the price. Some people actually expect a pleasant experience, not a lawless frat party full of drunken western tourists. I strongly encourage the operators To spend more time on controlling the disgraceful behaviors of their passengers, and less time insulting those who complain and/or leave a negative review.

Went for the Colours of Love event there, and a bit disappointed. I arrived on time, but they didn’t finish setting up yet. So I went to do some pregames at 7-11 cuz there was no people there at all. Then came back and found out that the boat would stay at the dock the whole night. However, the party was fun, and the drinks’ prices were actually reasonable (not so much on the food tho)

I can't express how much I enjoyed my time aboard the "Bangkok Island" cruise party ship! The atmosphere was electric, with a vibrant crowd and upbeat music setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. As we sailed along the Chao Phraya River, the sunset painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for the festivities. Sipping cocktails on the deck, surrounded by the beauty of Bangkok's skyline, was a moment of pure bliss. It's experiences like these that make traveling so special and memorable.

An island themed club with a boat at a dockyard. Prices were on the higher end compares to other places around the city. It did get a bit fresh next to the river as the night went on.. (being December it's a cooler month) Entrance to the club marked as Bangkok Dock Co.. and then a short stroll to the river. Nearest BTS Sapan Taksin.. and a 6 minute walk from there. Several uneven surfaces and a rocking boat would suggest a smarter choice in footwear. Ladders, stairs and steps galore.. and even one child spotted in the gathering of people.. although it's not really a kid friendly area.

Sacred & Religious Sites
Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a grand Buddhist temple situated on the west side of the Chaophraya River in Thonburi, Bangkok. Its iconic central spire is adorned with intricate tiles and stands out with its colorful and detailed design. The temple's history dates back to King Taksin's restoration in 1768, giving it a significant place in Thai heritage.
This temple houses the ashes of Thailand’s first King Rama. The boat ride along the river to the temple is enjoyable. You can feed the big catfish with bread sold on the boat for just 20 baht. There isn’t a whole lot to see, and it’s not the most visually stunning temple, but it becomes the perfect photo spot if you rent traditional Thai clothing, make up and take pictures around the grounds. It’ll make for a unique and memorable souvenir. If you visit, make sure to rent the Thai traditional outfit and take photos on-site. Otherwise, it’s just an average photo spot. There’s also a small market nearby selling souvenirs, drinks, snacks, and ice cream, and they accept foreign currencies in addition to Thai baht.
Ibob P — Google review
An absolutely remarkable cultural landmark. The central prang is intricately decorated and beautifully reflects the sunlight, creating a striking impression from both near and far. Standing by the river, it is not only a masterpiece of Thai craftsmanship but also a place where the city slows down and breathes. Watching the dawn from Wat Arun is an experience that stays with you long after you leave. There are rental shops around Wat Arun and also near the ferry piers, so you can easily dress up just for your visit and photos.
Serena C — Google review
Wat Arun is absolutely stunning! The temple is beautifully designed with so many intricate details, and it looks even more magical when the sunlight hits the colorful tiles. Walking around the grounds feels calm and peaceful, and every corner is photo-worthy. One of the best parts is that you can rent traditional Thai clothes right outside the temple. It’s not expensive, and it makes the whole experience more special. Many people, including myself, did photo shoots in the outfits, and the photos came out amazing with the temple as the backdrop. If you’re visiting Bangkok, this is a must-see spot. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy the beauty of the temple at its quietest.
Bhashitha H — Google review
Wat Arun Temple located alongside the Chao Praya River is one of the most Thailandesque locations that you can visit. If there is one thing Thailand is known for popularly aside from Elephants and Muay Thai it is temples. Wat Arun is one of the best aesthetic temples you can visit while in Bangkok. •Wat Arun towers with its heritage seen in the intricate temples designed by previous monarchs, with every inch of design and pagodas every detail are meticulously placed and treated with the utmost repsect which contributes to the overall beauty and honor of the place. •Visitors can rent traditional Thai attires for females and males although I suggest you rent early because some are reused all throughout the day. The cheaper the rent cost the dirtier it gets. I highly recommend this place paired with the Wat Pho temple across the Chao Praya as a day tour. I also suggest to be respectful of the people and the places. •Visitors can also be filled with Thai merchandise sold at a market within the Wat Arun complex. It is a treasure trove of trinkets and souvenirs that some can only be found at this location. •The place is quite convenient if you plan on visiting the other temple known for the reclining buddha temple at the other side of the river which can be accessed via boat ride.
Anjo — Google review
Wat Arun is one of landmark in Bangkok. To get there, you need to cross the river by boat, which only costs 5 baht. Around the temple, there are many places where you can rent traditional Thai costumes and take memorable photos. The central temple building is tall and impressive, though visitors can only climb up a few levels. Near the exit, there are also many Buddha statues to see.
Doczell — Google review
In Bangkok, this is one of the main attractions. Though it can be less crowded in the morning and evening, it is usually packed. This temple is really lovely and distinctive. The opportunity to undertake a traditional Thai picture session is one of the highlights. You can rent them out and wear for only 250 TBH. They also insist on hiring a photographer, but try to negotiate and lower the prices. Whether bathed in the rose‑gold hues of dawn, the fiery blaze of sunset, or the golden floodlights of night, Wat Arun remains a testament to Thailand’s rich cultural heritage—an enduring symbol of renewal and the timeless allure of the “Temple of Dawn.”
Sandalu K — Google review
The main attraction of Wat Arun is the central prang, with other prangs/pagodas around it. It's a very unique and detailed structure. If you look close enough, you can see each piece of porcelain/other elements. They don't always match, but somehow they make a cohesive and colorful mosaic. Climbing it can be quite an exercise, but it's worth it. The visitors have an option to dress up in traditional Thai clothes and use a professional photographer to take one of the kind picture (for a price of course). I'm not gonna lie, the garments looked stunning and exactly like those in historical lakorns. I was tempted to try them on, but it would take too much time and it was a really hot day. Speaking of which, there are stalls near the temple with foods and refreshments, and it was lovely to drink coconut water in such a heat. I arrived at and departed from Wat Arun by boat, which is a great way to do a bit of sightseeing by itself.
Kamilla — Google review
Don’t skip Wat Arun if you plan to take photos in traditional Thai outfits! Best to come around 4 PM or later, it’s less crowded. Entrance fee is 200 baht per person. Outside the temple, there are lots of shops renting outfits at affordable prices. I got a photography package for 2 people at 1800 baht, including free hairdo. I went go-show and luckily got a great photographer who guided all the poses. Totally worth it for the experience and the photos! If you’re thinking about renting heels, better skip it. Most of the heels at the rental shops are worn out and uncomfortable. Plus, your feet rarely show in the photos anyway, so it’s really not worth it!

An unforgettable rooftop experience with a full 360° view of Bangkok! 🌆🌉 This bar offers a stunning panorama — you can choose to sit facing the vibrant city skyline or enjoy a more relaxed vibe with views of the river. The atmosphere is upscale yet welcoming. Just a quick heads-up: there is a dress code, so be sure to wear polite attire or long trousers, otherwise you won’t be allowed in. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were top-notch. A must-visit spot for anyone wanting to see Bangkok from above. Hope you have an amazing night!

It was the BEST Vertigo experience i ever had! The view was spectacular plus the service during our dinner was first class. I ordered mushroom soup for my starter and it was served nicely by pouring the soup on the bowl of cream. It was however not as hot as I expected it but lukewarm. It was followed by my main course of tiger prawns which was also warm. I’m not sure if it was also because we were seated outside on the highest point of the building that it is not easy to maintain it’s appropriate food temperature. Anyway Service was excellent! The part when they gave us a souvenir photo was noteworthy.

Wow wow wow! If you visit Bangkok, put this restaurant on your list! The views really are as good as they look on the web, staff amazing, lovely cocktails and a unique setting. It's expensive for Thailand, but due to the level of service, breath taking location, impeccable service and wonderful staff, we think it's good value for money. Get there early to enjoy a drink at the bar before moving down to the restaurant. The staff make it(as is the case everywhere in Thailand), giving you a warm welcome and in the case of Vertigo, 5 star service. Thoroughly recommended.

Still, it’s a nice place to chill and enjoy the atmosphere.

Amazing rooftop bar one of the best if not the best! Just chilling with cold air and great service for the evening . Good food and service, they were very accommodating for us. Garlic prawns starter we highly recommend. Black Angus and the slow cooker rib was amazing. One improvement we would suggest is the chairs are very low and need updating.

We visited Octave Rooftop Lounge & Bar in Bangkok and it was well worth it. The views are absolutely stunning and easily some of the best in the city. Watching the sunset from up here is reason enough to visit. There’s a great variety of drinks. The live DJ added a nice energy to the space. The atmosphere is cool and stylish. There is a minimum spend for the table but honestly it’s worth it for the experience and the view alone. Must have: The view is the main event here. Safari World Bangkok is a popular zoo and entertainment park in the heart of Bangkok, drawing both tourists and locals alike. This expansive 480-acre park, established in 1988, offers an immersive experience into Thailand's diverse wildlife. Divided into two sections - Marine Park and Safari Park - visitors can explore a wide range of animal habitats. The park features safari rides, marine attractions, live feedings, and thrilling stunt shows that cater to both education and entertainment.
Safari World Bangkok is an amazing place to visit and I truly loved the experience. The park has a beautiful, forest-like environment inside, which makes the whole visit feel natural and adventurous. Everything was well-organized, from the shows to the facilities, making it easy to enjoy the day. The animal shows were a highlight—well-prepared and entertaining, with animals trained to perform in a way that amazed both kids and adults. It was also exciting to see animals I had never encountered before, like capybaras, walruses, and kangaroos. The elephant show, dolphin show were very entertaining, and it was fascinating to watch lions and tigers roaming freely instead of being caged. For an extra thrill, you can take a special caged truck ride where you get to feed the lions, and they even climb onto the vehicle—an unforgettable experience! Feeding some animals requires a separate payment, but it’s worth it for the interactive fun. The food court was another great part of the visit, with plenty of choices and delicious Thai food that I really enjoyed. The only downside is that it gets very crowded. We went around 8 a.m. and still couldn’t manage to see all the shows in one day. Overall, Safari World Bangkok is a must-visit attraction for families and travelers—packed with wildlife, fun activities, and great food in a beautiful setting.

Safari World is a fun place to spend a day, especially if you enjoy animal shows and light adventure. We were able to watch the Spy War, dolphin, and sea lion shows, and each one had its own entertaining moments. The bus tour was also a nice way to see different animals up close without too much effort. One of the highlights was feeding the giraffes, which was simple but memorable. The weather was good, so lunchtime wasn’t too hot, and there were shaded spots to rest. Just be ready for a lot of walking since the park is quite wide. Overall, it’s a good experience for families and friends who want a mix of shows, animals, and easy sightseeing.

Our recent visit to Safari World in Bangkok, Thailand was truly a spectacular experience. The variety of animals, the well-produced shows, and the general cleanliness and organization of the park are world-class. It is clear that a tremendous amount of effort goes into maintaining the facilities and caring for the wildlife, making it a highly memorable and worthwhile family destination. Important Note on Pricing and Visitor Tip: In the interest of constructive feedback, we must specifically address the ticketing process. Buying tickets at the gate on the day of the visit is exceedingly expensive, presenting a significant and frankly discouraging barrier to entry. We strongly advise that visitors plan ahead and purchase their tickets online in advance, as they are often available for nearly half the price. This major price discrepancy between online and gate prices needs urgent review. We sincerely hope that management will review the gate pricing structure to make this incredible experience more accessible to a broader range of tourists. Thank you for providing such a wonderful day out!

Safari World Bangkok – A Nature Lover’s Paradise! 🌿🦒 Safari World Bangkok is a true nature’s paradise in the heart of the city! The safari drive with free-roaming animals, marine park shows, and bird performances are all fun and well-organized. The park is clean, green, and perfect for families, friends, or couples. 💡 Tip: It’s best to pre-book your tickets 2-3 days on Agoda or Klook, as they offer good deals. Some packages include buffet lunch(indian and international), so check carefully before booking. Tickets at the counter usually cost more and additional charge for lunch. Overall, a must-visit for anyone who loves wildlife and nature! 🐘🦓🐅✨

Safari World Bangkok was very good and quite impressive. They had great shows and entertaining programs, and the variety of animals was also nice. You can even buy food to feed some of the animals, which makes the experience more interactive and fun. Overall, it was a really enjoyable visit and definitely worth trying.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) — Average Experience at Safari World Bangkok Safari World in Bangkok is definitely a popular tourist attraction, but honestly, the overall experience could have been much better. The place is large and nicely maintained, but one major disappointment is that many of the main attractions are not included in the basic ticket price. After paying quite a high entry fee, you still need to pay extra for several key shows and animal encounters — which feels unfair and unnecessary. Another drawback is the lack of proper guidance or staff/faculty assistance inside the park. There are hardly any staff members available to explain the routes, animal zones, or show timings properly. For first-time visitors, it becomes confusing to figure out where to go next, especially since signs are limited and sometimes unclear. While the animals and shows are good, the management could really improve by being more transparent about additional costs and by providing more helpful and approachable staff inside the park. For such a famous attraction, the overall service and coordination fell short of expectations. In short, Safari World is not a nice place to visit ,especially with kids, and be prepared to spend extra money for almost every major activity and don’t expect much support or guidance from the staff especially buy online tickets to save extra money and taxi meter …

Coming from one of the best wildlife countries, it wouldn’t be fair to compare—but I must say, the safari drive was a wonderful experience. We got to see a wide range of well-kept animals, including marabou storks, ostriches, deer, wildebeest, zebras, rhinos, hippos, buffalo, lions, tigers (my first time seeing them!), and even bears. There were also colorful parrots from around the world, owls, hawks, giraffes, capybaras (the largest rodent in the world), elephants, chimpanzees, kangaroos, walruses, and countless species of fish—so many that I’m sure I missed mentioning some. One of the most moving moments for me was interacting with the orangutans—we even got to hold them and walk with them! While the entry fee covers admission and food, you need to pay extra if you want to hold certain animals and take photos, which felt a bit pricey. The park also features a number of shows. Though we missed the elephant show due to timing and the language barrier, we managed to catch the dolphin show, which was truly delightful. The included food, however, was very average and not freshly made, which was a little disappointing. On the bright side, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the toilets were despite the huge crowds. For families, the park provides carriers and prams for little ones—a must if you’re covering the entire park, as it’s quite a walk. There is also a map provided at the start, making it easier to navigate and plan your route around the park. Overall, the experience was unforgettable and absolutely lovely. The kids had a blast, and so did we!

Night market
Nestled in the bustling Silom area, Patpong Night Market is a vibrant bazaar offering an array of goods and street food. While it's infamous for its proximity to go-go bars and risqué entertainment, the market itself boasts stalls selling souvenirs, clothing, and accessories. Visitors can browse through counterfeit watches, belts, toys, and gadgets while sampling local street food. Despite its association with the nearby nightlife scene, the market provides ample shopping opportunities for tourists and locals alike.
If Bangkok’s days are lively, its nights are electric. The city’s night markets are not just places to shop—they’re cultural experiences, social gatherings, and culinary adventures rolled into one dazzling evening. Take a stroll through Asiatique for a riverfront fairytale with Ferris wheels and boutique stalls, or get wonderfully lost in the neon maze of Rot Fai Market (Train Market), where vintage meets modern under the stars. These markets are alive with color, energy, and that irresistible hum of possibility. Stalls spill over with everything from trendy clothes and handmade crafts to antiques you never knew you needed. The aroma of grilled meats, spicy papaya salad, mango sticky rice, and Thai milk tea lures you deeper into the labyrinth. One bite and you’ll understand why Bangkok is a street food capital of the world. Live music echoes in the background, laughter drifts through the warm air, and lanterns overhead paint the night in soft amber. Everyone, from locals to wide-eyed travelers, seems to find their rhythm here. Bangkok’s night markets are not just about what you buy, but how you feel—excited, curious, delighted. You arrive looking for souvenirs… and leave with memories. Very important: Bring cash, wear comfy shoes, and come hungry. Bargaining is part of the fun, and you never know what hidden gem you’ll stumble upon after dark!

Very cute market but extremely short. Would’ve loved to have a longer walk. Also, the ping pong show advertisers kept on haggling me which dampened the experience. Food was 10/10, vibes was 7/10.

Bangkok Night Markets are vibrant hubs of food, shopping, and entertainment. From colorful stalls selling trendy clothes, accessories, and souvenirs to delicious street food like pad thai, mango sticky rice, and grilled seafood, there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, with music, lights, and crowds of locals and tourists. Perfect for an evening stroll, shopping, and tasting authentic Thai flavors.
Abid U — Google review
I ate pad thai here and it was delicious, but the food options were not very variative, not that many food stalls, the main attraction here is clearly the clubs. The seatings were also limited, despite many foods were not just some snacks and were better to eat while seated. If you are looking to get some bites, I think this place was okay, but if you're after the clubs, then this place is for you. Note that if you're looking for halal foods here, you won't get too many options.

Small markets where you’ll find cheap ‘luxury’ brands in the middle with food vendors at the far end. Tip: be prepared to bargain hard, don’t be afraid to go for 1/5th of asking price. Family tip: steer clear of hidden side ‘red light’ stalls.
C Y — Google review
Patpong Night Market opens around 6 PM and is located in Bangkok’s oldest red-light district, between Silom Road and Surawong Road. It’s a small but colorful night market, surrounded by neon lights, bars, and late-night energy. The market itself is small a few souvenir and clothing stalls, some imitation goods, and a couple of food vendors. Prices are moderate, and the area is more about atmosphere than shopping. I’ve visited this spot several times during my tours through Bangkok, and it’s always interesting for its history and contrast a mix of nightlife, street culture, and entertainment. You’ll also find Muay Thai shows and, a few streets away, gay-friendly nightlife around Silom Soi 2 & Soi 4. That said, I wouldn’t recommend it for families with children, since the market and red-light venues share the same area. If you have time, it’s worth visiting once to see Bangkok’s older nightlife scene, but for food and family-friendly markets, Jodd Fairs or Asiatique are better choices. 📍 Location: Between Silom Rd & Surawong Rd 🕐 Opening Hours: Around 6 PM - midnight 💡 Tip: Come early evening for photos or short videos great spot if you like capturing Bangkok’s nightlife vibe on TikTok or Instagram. Verdict: Interesting for its history and atmosphere, but less suitable for families. Nice to include during a city tour through Bangkok.
Bangkokrecomment T — Google review
Patpong Night Market felt like just another overrated spot in Bangkok. Compared to other night markets in the city, this one seemed overly commercialized and definitely overpriced. Most of the stalls sold the same kinds of souvenirs, clothes, and accessories you can easily find elsewhere — but here, the prices were noticeably higher, and bargaining didn’t help much. It honestly felt more like a tourist trap than an authentic local experience. Another thing that made the experience uncomfortable was the constant promotion of adult shows in the area. Tuk-tuk drivers and promoters were openly advertising “ping pong shows,” even to families walking with kids. It really took away from the fun and lively night-market vibe we expected. While the lights and crowd might look interesting at first glance, Patpong doesn’t capture the charm, warmth, or authenticity you find in other Bangkok markets like Chatuchak or Talad Neon. Overall, I’d say it’s worth a quick visit only if you’re curious — but definitely not a must-see spot.
Elahi P — Google review
The market is small, only one street away. There aren't many food vendors here. You can buy branded watches here (copy quality). They open the price at 2000-4000 baht, but you can negotiate higher.

Shopping mall
Shopping
ICONSIAM is a massive and stylish shopping center located on the bank of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. It boasts over 500,000 square meters of space and features a wide array of high-end shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. Visitors can explore the seven-story Takashimaya Japanese department store, luxury condominium towers, and an indoor floating market that pays homage to traditional Thai commerce. The mall also houses Thailand's first Apple store and the National Heritage Gallery museum.
A huge mall that's quite new in Bangkok. The design is very calm and it also makes navigating in it very easy. They have a luxury section on the first floor called IconLuxe, where you can find all of the high fashion brands & luxury shops (such as Prada, D&G, Gucci, Balmain, etc.), and on the rest of the upper floors you can find shops of more affordable brands, both local and international (such as Zara, Uniqlo, Urban Revivo and more). They also have several food areas in the mall - a few food courts (on the 1st floor and on the 6th floor), and an entire food market that mimics Bangkok's famous floating markets (called SookSiam) with many stalls that offer mostly local Thai cuisine, just like you can find in night markets and food markets around Thailand. You can also find there a lot of stalls & shops that sell souvenirs, traditional Thai clothing, and much more. I really liked this mall especially because it provides a full experience all in one place, so if you're in Bangkok I'd really recommend not skipping this mall!

Probably the most spectacular mall I’ve ever visited. Stunning view’s from several levels over the river, ESPECIALLY at night. So many beautiful views inside including the amazing water cascading feature, plus of corse wide collection of stunning shops from market street stalls to massive high street brand names. To enjoy the whole place allow at least 3 hours.

My favourite shopping mall in Bangkok, although it was a little inconvenient to get to from our hotel. It is designed beautifully and it was packed with tourists, especially at the ground floor where the food market is. It is a massive mall and definitely better than most of the malls in Singapore, with even the restrooms being remarkably attractive and clean. Its a combination of luxury, comfort, style and Thai culture and you can get almost everything here. Mom dearest bought some jewellery and fashion here and we returned with snacks and souvenirs from Dear Tummy. While the food stalls in the market offer average tasting fare, the whole experience is enhanced by the comfort of air conditioning and a clean environment, making it difficult to find fault with. We also enjoyed the fireworks during the Loy Krathong celebrations. Many river cruise ships commence their journeys from the ICON Siam pier, and at night, numerous vessels can be seen docked, ready to welcome passengers for a relaxing voyage.

ICONSIAM is truly one of the most impressive malls I’ve visited in Bangkok. The architecture outside is stunning and very modern, making it a perfect photo spot. Inside, it’s a mix of luxury shopping, cultural displays, and an incredible food experience. The ground floor food market is like a journey through Thailand’s unique flavors – from local snacks and dried goods to adventurous street food like fried insects, scorpions, and even crocodile barbecue. It’s definitely a must-try for those who want to experience something different! Overall, ICONSIAM is more than just a shopping mall – it’s a destination where you can shop, dine, explore, and immerse yourself in Thai culture all in one place. Highly recommended when visiting Bangkok!

This mall is amazing, looks very luxurious with all the stores you can think of! All tourist favorites. Uniqlo, Victoria’s secret, H&M, Zara, Lululemon, Gentle Woman, Apple, Bath & Bodyworks, Crocs, Birkenstocks, Gucci, Chanel, Prada, Dior and go so on For the Souk tho! The foodmarket on the bottom floor some food stands are actually terrible! I ordered a beef skewer for 100 bath and they warmed it up in a microwave🤢 meat was like cardboard so threw it away, take a good look before you get food there

Think its considered biggest mall in entire Thailand with strategic placement next to Chao Phraya river. In G floor have so many street food including Thai, Western, Japanese, Italian even Chinese cuisine. In this floor also provide so many souvernir seller for tourist like famous dried fruit, fresh inhaler, and many clothes. In 7th floor you can enjoy the skyline view directly face to Chao Phraya river, and if you go to 1st floor you can ride on like Ferry to travel along the Chao Phraya river.

Review (English): ICONSIAM – Bangkok Absolutely one of the most impressive shopping malls in the world! 🏙️✨ ICONSIAM isn’t just a mall — it’s a full experience. From luxury brands and world-class restaurants to local Thai products at SookSiam, everything here is beautifully designed and well organized. The location by the Chao Phraya River makes it even more special — you can arrive by boat and enjoy a stunning river view, especially at sunset. 🌅 Inside, it’s spotless, modern, and air-conditioned perfectly. The decoration is elegant and gives you a true sense of Thai culture mixed with international style. The food court and cafés are amazing, and there’s even an Apple Store with a breathtaking view of the river. 🍎☕ Perfect for shopping, dining, or just walking around and relaxing. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bangkok — a must-see landmark! 🇹🇭

Amazing mall. Still waiting for more shops to open up. The Sook downstairs is brilliant. Spent a lot of time there. Personally I feel it's needed to be bigger and organised a bit better. Seating area was a bit chaotic. The stalls and small shops around the edges were fab.

Sirimahannop offers a unique dining experience on a massive vessel that can host up to 300 guests across its upper and lower decks, as well as private rooms for smaller groups. The Captains Menu features a fusion of Thai, Scandinavian, and other international flavors. Additionally, the docked century-old three-masted ship provides an ideal setting for enjoying drinks while watching the sunset over the Chao Phraya river.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a true sunset lover, I’ve found my paradise at Sirimahannop in Bangkok! This enchanting restaurant is a replica of the Royal Thai Navy’s last three-masted sailing ship from King Rama V’s reign, which adds a unique touch of history to the experience. Watching the sun sink below the horizon while the city lights reflect on the Chao Phraya River is nothing short of magical. Each evening feels like a personal celebration of beauty and flavor. The handcrafted cocktails from their secret menu are a must-try, and the dishes are outstanding—especially the house-cured dill salmon, spicy seafood glass noodles, and Genovese noodles. My heart truly sails with every sunset here. Highly recommend this unforgettable dining experience! 🍹✨

We ordered the Hungry Hub set menu for 4 people. The staff in charge of the table were very friendly and attentive, and we had a great time with the fantastic view and fireworks from a nearby hotel. There was a very comfortable restroom downstairs in the restaurant, and the food was at the level of a 5-star hotel, as expected from a restaurant operated by the Marriott Group. If you are having dinner at Asiatique, definitely choose this place. It will be the best choice.

Sirimahannop is one of those places that truly stands out when the sun begins to set. The view from the deck as the sky turns orange and gold is simply beautiful, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxed evening. The atmosphere feels classy but not over the top—just the right mix of comfort and elegance. With soft music, good lighting, and a calm breeze from the river, it’s an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy a drink while taking in the night scenery. A great spot for those who appreciate a pleasant ambience, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the company of friends. 🍻

I found my favourite drink in ages with the help of bartender, Bombay, who who made a perfectly balanced cocktail using Thai spirits and ingredients. I couldn't review the food yet because I popped in here for a drink while I waited for my dinner cruise but I will go back and have this drink and eat some food so I can update my post. The place is super easy to find, it's the tall ship permanently moored in front of Asiatique.

Dining on the Sirimahannop, the magnificent tall ship docked at Asiatique, is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The moment you step on board, you’re greeted with the charm of a historical vessel blended seamlessly with modern luxury. ✨ The atmosphere is simply breathtaking – sunset views over the Chao Phraya River, soft music, and the gentle breeze create the perfect setting for a memorable evening. 🌅 The menu offers a creative mix of Thai and international dishes. Every plate is beautifully presented, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. The seafood, in particular, is outstanding – fresh, tender, and cooked to perfection. 🦐🐟 The staff are attentive and friendly, always ready with recommendations and making sure your dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. Pair your meal with one of their signature cocktails, and you’ll have an unforgettable night. 🍸✨ 👉 Highlights: • Unique dining experience on a historic ship • Romantic riverside atmosphere • Excellent seafood and creative cocktails • Great service and hospitality ⭐ Overall: A must-visit spot in Bangkok for anyone looking to combine fine dining with a spectacular riverfront view. Perfect for special occasions, date nights, or simply treating yourself. 💕

Avoid if you are a family with young children Sirimahannop may look stunning from afar with its grand ship setting, but the reality is disappointing. The food is very average and nowhere near the standard you’d expect for the price or the presentation. What really ruins the experience is the smell—because the restaurant sits right next to where large cruise ships dock, the constant exhaust from the ship’s engines drifts straight into the dining area. It’s heavy, unpleasant, and makes it hard to enjoy your meal. If you’re thinking of bringing children, I’d strongly advise against it—having them sit in the middle of engine fumes for dinner is not safe or enjoyable. Overall, nice photo spot, but as a place to eat, it’s simply not worth it.

Initially we planned to celebrate our anniversary in DID (Dining in the Dark). Just nice that our travel days fell within their local Buddha days and hence they are not operating in those 3 days crossing that weekend. I told my wife that it's my bad which I didn't do my study well. Fortunately, the friendly manager made an oversea call to me and informed this in advanced, recommended us for another nice restaurant within the same hotel. She was very helpful and patient in explaining the reasons, making me felt very warm. In Rossini, an Italian restaurant, which has a very nice ambient and romantic atmosphere. We ordered special set menu of the day. However, it's a pity that we short of some nice wine for our celebration due to no alcohol by law in local Buddha day. I would like to give another star to the waitress who recommended us special made mock tail which able to cheer us up. Each food was served at a decent pace. At the end of our nice meals, we were presented with some surprise for our anniversary celebration. My wife was very happy seeking it and we enjoyed having it. What a lovely and romantic dinner! Special thanks to the chef who preparing us such a hearty dinner, and we were pleasure having a short chat with him too. Besides, I always see friendly smiles from all waiters and waitresses along the night whenever they were approaching us. I definitely will recommended this remarkable restaurant. Thanks again making our anniversary memorable and unforgettable.

I reserved this restaurant at Sheraton Grand hotel for my birthday dinner party with friends. Really impressive from their support from reservation, picking menu and staff services. Surprisingly that the new Head Chef, Chef Ga, he has come to help me for menu selection by himself. Very talented chef and great hospitality. I have ordered quite big meals, menu courses for my friends and more menu for shares. What I love in particular were almost everything such as ink risotto seafood, truffle pumpkin soup (special for us) and scallop. For dessert, falling in love with chocolate ganache and red velvet cake, pretty soften and moist cake and the same time. I have been hear quite several times and will come back again. Highly recommended for big meals or dating, friends and families. Additionally, the interior of the restaurant is so fine and glamorous as well.

Restaurant
Sala Rim Naam, a longstanding Thai restaurant with an intimate setting on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, is popular with Thais and out-of-town guests alike for its classical Thai dance performances that are featured with dinner each night. The cuisine here is primarily traditional royal Thai cooking with a wide range of spices that may be less spicy for foreign palates.
A great experience to start your holiday in Bangkok. Taught Thai history through performance. Good variety of performances and music throughout. Very good service from the staff. Arrive early at the Mandarin oriental, have a cocktail in the bar, then get the free riverboat across to the show. Arrive for the start and enjoy the whole show ending around 9.30pm.

On the opposite riverbank, directly across from the Mandarin Oriental hotel, lies Sala Rim Naam – an elegantly designed pavilion offering exceptional Thai cuisine deeply rooted in royal Thai culinary traditions. As the sun sets, indulge in an authentic Thai evening at Sala Rim Naam, with the majestic River of Kings and La Grande Dame providing a picturesque backdrop. The culinary team at Sala Rim Naam presents an exquisite Thai set dinner featuring premium ingredients that embody authenticity and the evolving Thai culinary culture, ensuring an authentic and delightful experience. A considerate feature of the menu is the inclusion of Vegetarian options, enabling patrons to choose from a 4-course or 5-course dinner menu that aligns with their values. The evening's allure is further enhanced by spectacular Thai cultural performances, with performers and dancers dressed in exquisitely luxurious traditional Thai attire performing mesmerizing yet elegant dances and dramas on the stage. We were fortunate to sit next to the stage and enjoyed the show closely, as well as the sumptuously delicious dinner. Whether a visitor or resident seeking to immerse oneself in Thai culture, Sala Rim Naam provides unparalleled Thai encounters that will captivate and enchant. The captivating music instruments like the khong wong yai, ranat ek, saw-au etc and the authentically amazing music are a potent combination, elevated to new heights by the exceptional skill of the musicians. My enchantment with a Thai cultural performance led to a slight oversight - forgetting to photograph the dinner dishes, but I made up for it with few beautiful dessert shots. The combination of an authentic Thai show and a tranquil restaurant atmosphere was pure magic, and the private boat ride arrival was the icing on the cake.🥰🥰The staff's impeccable service and genuine attentiveness transformed our meal into a remarkable experience, showcasing the true art of hospitality. Every moment of this dining experience was a true pleasure. Notes: Thai cuisine is renowned for its bold flavors, and traditional dishes expertly balance spicy and sweet notes. The pomelo salad was a revelation, with the green curry's sharpness tempered by the richness of coconut cream. The baked seabass was cooked to perfection, its freshness elevating the dish to new heights. The evening concluded on a high note with the special dessert, a delightful combination. Dress code: To create an atmosphere of refinement and poise, female guests are invited to adorn themselves in elegant attire and suitable footwear, while gentlemen are encouraged to wear long trousers and closed shoes, thus fostering a spirit of mutual respect and consideration. Thai show will commence at 745pm and conclude at 9pm. 1. Java Dance 2. Krapo Dance 3. Masked Dance : Raman following deer episode 4. Hang Pra Theep Dance (Candle Dance) 5. Suwannamalee Procession 6. We were truly looking forward to this dining experience, especially given the restaurant’s prestigious reputation and the elegant dress code mentioned on the website. We carefully chose our outfits and made the effort to respect these expectations, only to find, once there, that several guests were wearing flip-flops, baseball caps, t-shirts, and shorts. As guests who had traveled far and prepared properly, we felt disrespected. Weeks before the reservation date, I received an email informing us of the menu. With it came a reminder about the elegant dress code in question. I was therefore expecting a refined and elegant atmosphere, but it ended up feeling like we were dining in any other restaurant down the street. If the restaurant intends to accept guests in all types of attire, that’s perfectly fine! But in that case, the dress code should be removed from the website, as it creates misleading expectations and an unbalanced experience between guests. Regarding the food: while the dishes were well-prepared and tasty, they didn’t quite live up to the restaurant’s prestigious name. For instance, having just one scallop in a dish advertised as a “scallop soup” felt quite a bit insulting. On a more positive note, the traditional Thai dance and Khon performances were truly delightful. A special thank you to the whole team for their spectacular service. We greatly appreciated their warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness throughout the evening.

Yes, it's worth it, don't miss it. The performance is absolutely stunning. We payed a fixed menu + performance, but I'm pretty sure you can just go to the restaurant, order a la carte, and still watch the performance. The fixed menu was good, not super memorable but well made, with beautiful dish presentations. The staff is as courteous as you'd expect from a luxury hotel as the Mandarin Oriental. Tip - get the ferry from the hotel to the restaurant! Thank you all for an unforgettable night.

An Unforgettable Thai Dining Experience at Sala Rim Nam Travel: Staying at the Mandarin Oriental, we took the boat across the river to Sala Rim Nam, which is conveniently located just opposite the hotel. The short boat ride added to the charm of the evening. Food: We opted for the 4-course Thai menu, which was thoughtfully curated. While some flavors felt a bit unfamiliar, the dishes were still well-prepared and enjoyable. Service: The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff were incredibly attentive—almost as if each table had 2-3 dedicated servers ensuring a seamless experience. From the moment we arrived by boat to being seated and served, their hospitality was truly exceptional. Atmosphere: The restaurant offers an elegant and immersive Thai cultural experience, with live performances every night. We had the chance to witness a stunning Ramayana performance along with traditional Thai kickboxing, making the evening both entertaining and fascinating. The ambiance was sophisticated yet serene, and the elegant crowd added to the refined atmosphere. A special touch was the complimentary birthday cake, which made the experience even more memorable. Additional Notes: Seating options include traditional tables and a Japanese-style arrangement where you sit with your legs comfortably dropped down. The staff even guided us on how to sit properly, ensuring maximum comfort. Final Thoughts: Huge kudos to the staff for their exceptional service and hospitality. Sala Rim Nam is the perfect place to bring friends or colleagues from abroad for an authentic and immersive Thai dining experience. Highly recommended!

The service was fantastic! The venue is beautiful! I think it’s wonderful experience to do in Bangkok once. The food was sophisticated! It’s not typical Thai street food, it’s upscale menu, but enjoyable for 1 night. I highly recommend!

Incredible evening. I went for the food but the performance was mesmerizing and the music was too. The service was some of the best I've ever experienced -- as soon as you get off the ferry lighter that takes you from the Mandarin Oriental here, you are greeted by name and treated like the most important person there. The staff knew the food well, and the Captain, she made sure everything was okay without being intrusive. The food was great -- I particularly liked the white fermented soybean relish fish, and the crab and squash dumplings were a revelation, who knew those tastes would go so well together? And the stir-fried lotus root in black garlic outstanding, simple and tasty and the texture was perfect! The chef came out and asked how everything was and wanted to know which dishes I liked best. His name was Jack and he seemed very young to be such a good cook. His English was superb because he served as a cook in Thai restaurants in Pittsburgh and Boise! So you Americans out there, you never know what prodigy is in the kitchen. I also very much liked the dessert, which were miniaturized Thai classics served in a dollhouse clear front highboy. The attentive staff further proved their worth in leaping forward to assist me before I could destroy it with my Brobdingnagian digits. So I came for the food, stayed for the performance, and all in all it was a full evening out that is worth the expense, and if you're staying at the Mandarin Oriental, you must do it

Jack's Bar is a popular riverside spot known for its laid-back atmosphere, cheap beers, and delicious Thai food. Despite its humble appearance, it has become a favorite among both locals and tourists. The bar offers a stunning view of the Chao Praya River, making it an ideal place to unwind with a drink while watching the passing ships. While it can get busy during peak times, the friendly staff ensures that everyone finds a suitable spot to enjoy their drinks and meals.
Super fun experience at Jacks Bar! Drinks are cheap and the food is tasty, fresh, with many options. This place seems to fill up quick, so get there early if you want one of the coveted spots literately right next to the river. Although our table seat still lets you see the action on the river. Nothing fancy here, so no need to dress up.

Lovely to find a river view spot with reasonable prices and have a decent glass of wine. They serve food which looks pretty good too, willing to try next time. Love view in the evening with all the night lights, service is spot on, very quick. Love it

What a great local riverside bar. Great owner! Best Thai food I’ve had in the 3 weeks I was in Thailand. Incredible views. Right on the water!! Can’t wait to come back to Bangkok just for the beer,Tom Yum and friendly conversation.
James P — Google review
One of my favorite spots in Bangkok right next to the Shangri-La with stunning views of the river and boats passing by and a large beer for 120 baht. Can’t beat the view and feels like some carribean shack. They have own pier with long boats to rent out.

Open-air bar beside the Chao Phraya River near the Shangri-La. Frequented by expats, it offers cold beer, river views, and constant boat traffic. The grilled chicken was well-cooked and paired perfectly with a large Leo. I’ll return to try the Pad Thai on my next visit.

A cool place with a beautiful atmosphere. Sipping your beer or wine with an astonishing view on the Chao Phraya. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s not only a bar, you can also get food which is very delicious at moderate prices. To be sure getting a seat, come around before, to have a reservation done. Will always come back to here!

This is my favorite spot in Bangkok since ages. As it is by far not a hidden gem anymore don’t go at sunset (or reserve a table upfront) and rather go in the afternoon or after 8pm. You won’t regret, if you love Bangkok, like thai food, a cold beer and meeting lots of different people.

Saxophone Pub & Restaurant, a beloved establishment with over 25 years of history, is a vibrant hangout in Bangkok known for its exceptional live jazz and blues performances. Frequented by both locals and expats, this popular spot features 3-4 different live bands each evening, often including renowned Thai artists like Koh Mr. Saxman and T-Bone Band. Additionally, international musicians occasionally join in for jam sessions.
Nice venue. Helpful staff. Great music. Fantastic food! The place takes credit card. Not sure why some other reviewers experienced otherwise, but as of Aug 19 they take it just fine. The thai food here is notably excellent. Didnt expect them to make it this good!! Great for couples or small groups if you are here for the live music. Larger groups are manageable as well, plenty of tables further from stage.

Overall 4 stars for me. As a music snob and a former singer myself, music here is perfect. Just go there to listen, no talk needed, too loud anyway. Cocktails are cheap but overly sweet. Recommend to just go for live music and beer. Best to go with a date or 4 people max.

Great place to chill together with the friends and the Jazz is good. The daught beer both dark and light are must try and the eateries are top notch. Just a little bit expensive, cannot go anytime.

👍🏻 Good atmosphere. So far everything is good and acceptable 🍳 Food is ok but some menu needs improvement. My choice of food is always good but my friends were unsatisfied. 👤 Service depends on each time and waiters. 🚗 Parking is available on the side of the street of in front of the bar. I wouldn’t recommend to drive. Simply take bts or public transportation. 📞 I recommend booking first or call their number. If they don’t pick up, you can assume that they are busy and full as well. However I came here when I’m sure there’ll be a table for so i never have to wait for long.

Went on a Monday night for a saxophone artist. He was really good. Would have enjoyed it more if I was Thai as he sang more than played the saxophone. However, maybe it’s not like that all the time. The service was fast and the selection of drinks and food is amazing.

Great atmosphere with the resident bands on a Thursday night, I didn’t eat but food looked nice, the German beer was lovely and a fair price considering the entertainment. Service was one of the best I have ever received in Thailand so paying the additional service charge of 10% was no problem for me. Whenever I’m in the area again I will definitely return and I strongly recommend this pub

Shopping mall
River City Bangkok is a modern, air-conditioned mall located along the Chao Praya River. It features extensive galleries showcasing antiques, art, music, and film. The exhibitions are constantly rotating, offering visitors new experiences with each visit. The shopping complex is renowned for its wide selection of antique and reproduction shops featuring items from various cultures including Thai, Burmese, Chinese, Cambodian, and European pieces.
A well-designed and sophisticated complex with spacious areas, perfect for cultural events and exhibitions. The exhibitions here are always creative and engaging — definitely worth a visit for anyone interested in art and culture. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a unique exhibition experience. There are a few restaurants and drink options inside, though the variety isn’t as wide as in larger malls. However, the surrounding area is lively, with plenty of street food stalls and local eateries to explore.

Lovely place to visit! Some really cool art shows and stores where you can buy unique items! We went on a Monday and I would recommend choosing any other day as Monday seems to be the day when most things are closed, but there was still a lot to visit and it's free so no big loss.
Catarina S — Google review
Clean venue with a fantastic exhibition, definitely worth the admission price. Parking is available (handy, as it's a bit far from the BTS). It was nice not having to deal with big crowds. A quick recommendation: after your visit, check out the food scene at Songwat Walking Street.
Boonsita R — Google review
River City is one of Bangkok’s most dynamic cultural spaces, constantly hosting new and diverse exhibitions, from traditional Thai art to bold pop-art installations. Many of them are even free to enter, which is a nice bonus. This particular exhibition, though, was honestly a bit disappointing. It felt more like an Instagram photo zone than an art show. If you go in expecting that, you’ll probably enjoy it. The merch section wasn’t special either. even as a Snoopy fan, I found the 450-baht ticket a bit overpriced. Still, it was lovely to see all the adorable Snoopy visuals up close. One more thing: the air-conditioning was freezing cold, so much that it was hard to focus on the exhibit. Definitely bring a jacket if you plan to visit.
Yesran — Google review
River City Bangkok is a fantastic art and culture hub. It features diverse, inspiring exhibitions, massive art toys, and countless photo opportunities. A stunning sunset view of the Oriental Hotel and IconSiam. Plus: very clean facilities, cool shops with local artist goods, and parking. Best visited on weekdays before the afternoon crowd. Highly recommended for a creative escape!
Aimi — Google review
Review of River City Bangkok: A Mixed Experience River City Bangkok recently hosted the Snoopy 75 Years exhibition, and while it was an enjoyable experience, I found it a bit lacking compared to similar attractions. The exhibition showcased some charming elements celebrating Snoopy's legacy, but I couldn't help but feel that the Snoopy Garden in Jeju offered a more immersive experience. One of my main disappointments was the merchandise selection, which didn’t quite meet my expectations. While the collaboration with local artists was a commendable idea, the execution felt somewhat underwhelming and fell short of what I had hoped for. Overall, the exhibition was just okay for me. If you’re a Snoopy fan, it’s worth a visit, but I would recommend managing your expectations, especially if you’ve experienced the delightful offerings at the Snoopy Garden in Jeju. River City Bangkok has potential, but there's room for improvement in future exhibitions.
Adhi W — Google review
Review of River City Bangkok River City Bangkok is a hidden gem along the scenic Chao Phraya River, offering a unique blend of art, culture, and modern convenience. Unlike typical shopping malls, this four-story complex stands out as a haven for art lovers and collectors, with an impressive array of galleries showcasing antiques, contemporary art, and international exhibitions. I visited in early 2025 and was captivated by the diverse collection of artworks, from local Thai pieces to global creations, with some galleries even offering interactive drawing activities that added a fun, hands-on element. The atmosphere is relaxed and air-conditioned, making it a perfect escape from Bangkok’s heat. The second floor, dedicated to art galleries, was a highlight, though I recommend checking their website for current exhibitions as they rotate frequently. I was particularly impressed by the unique antique shops selling everything from bronze sculptures to Thai crafts—perfect for finding distinctive souvenirs. Beyond art, River City boasts a vibrant dining scene. The waterfront promenade is lined with restaurants offering stunning river views, and I enjoyed a delightful lunch at RIVER SIT, where the international menu (think pasta, steak, and dim sum) was both delicious and beautifully presented, though slightly pricey due to the prime location. The service was attentive, and the ambiance was enhanced by the serene river backdrop. Accessibility is a breeze, with options to arrive by boat, train, or motorcycle taxi. The proximity to ICONSIAM (just across the river) and the convenient ferry service make it an easy stop during a day of exploring. My only minor critique is that some exhibitions may not always align with every visitor’s taste, so it’s worth checking the schedule beforehand. Overall, River City Bangkok is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates art, culture, or simply wants a sophisticated riverside experience. I’d rate it 4.5 out of 5 highly recommended for a unique and enriching outing in Bangkok

There's currently an exhibition showcasing Snoopy's work, and it's a really great show. My sister and I were really impressed. Seeing this exhibition really helped to heal our tired minds. Oh! and this event runs until December 7, 2025. Don't forget to check it out, take photos, shoot videos, and enjoy the exhibition. I wish everyone to return with only smiles and happiness :)

Aesops Greek Restaurant & Rooftop is a lively and vibrant establishment that offers a modern twist on traditional Greek cuisine. The restaurant, originally from Sydney, serves up hearty classics such as lamb shoulder, chicken souvlaki, and moussaka in a setting designed for large gatherings. The ambiance inside evokes the spirit of Athens while the outdoor courtyard channels the vibes of Mykonos.
What a lovely experience! We visited on a Monday and were invited for a birthday party. The staff was kind, attending and entertaining. Greek tradition has it that you have to break plates so they gave us clay plates to write a positive and a negative on the front and the back. After that we had to break the plates on the dance floor. In regards to the food, there is a lot of choice and it's all deliciously prepared and served with lots of grandeur. There is a choice of many really nice cocktails. It is advised to make a reservation beforehand. The only thing we missed was a little bit of Greek music but we enjoyed the (club) music played and the sound system made sure that we could have proper conversations. Definitely recommend it!

Great vibe with live entertainment and amazing views over the park. We came early and caught the sunset, which was beautiful. The food was amazing, loved the cheese dishes and slow cooked lamb. Also the shrimp was so good we ordered it twice, and the Play Smashing was a very fun and cool way to end the night. Definitely worth a visit!

Aesop Greek Restaurant is an absolute showstopper and perfect for a celebratory dinner! The staffs are very friendly. The ambiance is electric—it's vibrant, stylish, and incredibly fun, creating a fantastic party atmosphere. The mix of bright neon lights, luxurious décor, and a playful, modern Greek aesthetic truly makes it stand out. Plus, the option for skyline views at sunset elevates the entire experience to another level! The food is clearly crafted with care. The Moussaka (or similar baked pasta dish) looked divine, served beautifully in a rich tomato sauce with a perfectly browned, creamy topping. Wagyu BBQ is also a must-try. The Dessert was also a work of art—a fluffy with olive ice-cream decorated with fresh strawberries and edible flowers, making for a memorable end to the meal. What makes Aesop special is the whole package. Between the colorful cocktails, the playful touches and the great energy, it’s the ideal place to gather friends, unwind, and celebrate life's moments with a massive "OPA!" Highly recommend for a lively night out with great food and even better photo opportunities.

✨ Five years ago, our family started a small restaurant tucked away in a quiet corner of town. Today, we’ve grown into a beautiful new location with room for up to 50 guests. ✨ The space is warm and welcoming, and they’ve kept the same high standards for all our food and drinks over the years. Every dish is made with care, and truly love what they do. ✨ If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend coming before sunset—the view and skyline are absolutely stunning.

It is a fine dining restaurant and bar located on a high level of Column hotel. It is not close to the center of Bangkok but it is worth the drive. We went there to celebrate my mom's birthday after my wife chose this place. They have live show and DJ and for a an additional fee they give you a plate to break on the floor at a certain time. We ordered many food items amd everything was just great. The service was fast and the staff were all friendly and helpful. They also have outdoor area which is more calm and has a nice view of the city. Prices are expensive but definitely recommended especially for occasions and large gatherings.

We came here for a girls’ trip to celebrate a good friend’s birthday and what a blast it was! From the moment we arrived, there were so many cute corners for photos — the entrance, the bathroom (yes, even the bathroom was photo-worthy!), the indoor/outdoor bar area… all perfect for capturing the night. The plate smashing such a fun and unique experience! A great way to “smash away the bad vibes” and bring in some good luck. The food was delicious — don’t miss the mini scallop sandwich and the grilled octopus, both were so tasty! A special thank you to the lovely lady at the reception desk — she was super friendly and even brought out a big light so we could get the perfect group photo. So thoughtful! Overall, such great vibes all night long. Highly recommend for a fun, lively night out with friends

We absolutely loved exploring this neighborhood in Bangkok! It was part of a 2-hour boat tour (booked en GetYourGuide), and we were lucky to have an amazing guide, super knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate. She explained everything so clearly and made the experience really special. The weather was perfect, which made the whole ride even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was visiting the Artist House, such a beautiful and peaceful spot, full of charm and character. There were hardly any people or tourists around, which felt like a rare gift in Bangkok. Calm, quiet, and a bit hidden, a true gem not to be missed!

At first, we weren't so confident that it would be a fun market to visit, but we were pleasantly surprised. The market is very nice to visit, and you get a good sense of what a floating market is like, with the boats passing by and several shops lining the canal. The shops and food are very good, and you can visit everything in about an hour. It's definitely worth it.

Khlong Bang Luang Market is a charming and peaceful spot away from the busy streets of Bangkok. Located along a quiet canal, this market offers a relaxing atmosphere with a mix of local restaurants, small art galleries, and traditional Thai vibes. It’s a great place to spend a few hours exploring, eating, and enjoying art. Food & Restaurants The market has several small restaurants and food stalls serving delicious Thai dishes. You can try local favorites like boat noodles, grilled seafood, and sweet coconut desserts. The prices are reasonable, and the food is fresh and tasty. Sitting by the canal while eating makes the experience even better. Art & Culture One of the highlights of Khlong Bang Luang is the small artist galleries and workshops. You can see local artists painting, making pottery, or displaying their work. Some shops even let you try making your own art. The vibe is creative and welcoming, perfect for art lovers. Relaxing Atmosphere Unlike crowded tourist markets, Khlong Bang Luang is quiet and laid-back. You can take a short boat ride along the canal, walk around the wooden houses, or just sit and enjoy the view. It feels like stepping back into old Bangkok. Google Map Tips Location: Easy to find on Google Maps, but it’s in a local neighborhood, so taxis or motorbikes are best. Best Time to Visit: Weekends are livelier, but weekdays are more peaceful. Nearby Attractions: Close to Wat Paknam and other local temples. Final Thoughts Khlong Bang Luang Market is a lovely place for a relaxed afternoon. Good food, interesting art, and a calm canal setting make it a hidden gem. If you want to escape the city noise and experience local culture, this market is worth a visit! A peaceful and artistic retreat in Bangkok.

Tucked between Wat Khuhasawan Worawihan and Wat Kamphaeng Bangchak, Klong Buang Luang is a cozy floating market full of charm. It’s only about 200 meters long, perfect for a laid-back stroll without the heat-induced exhaustion. You’ll find retro-style shops, crafts, and modest food stalls, some air-conditioned, some open-air. While the chicken satay was disappointing, prices are fair, and the local atmosphere makes up for the mediocre bites. Driving in? Good luck. Parking is temple-only. Wat Khuhasawan offers a larger lot but fills fast, while Wat Kamphaeng’s parking is improvisational at best. The access road is tight, theoretically one-way but used as two-way. So brace for a tense drive. For visitors, taxis are your best bet. For kids (and crafty adults), there are activities like canvas painting and DIY jewelry. Boat tours leave from Wat Khuhasawan and vary in price for locals versus tourists. If you speak Thai or blend in, you might score a local rate. Weekends are lively and packed. Weekdays are quiet and serene. Overall, it’s a hidden, budget-friendly escape not far from the city, ideal for a couple hours of exploring, shopping, and people-watching.
Khun L — Google review
There was really nothing too special about this market. It's just alright. The temple here was good, the monks were very kind and eager to share their knowledge and wisdom for a happier life. This market is not really floating, just that it's on solid ground but surrounded by water. There's a smoothie bar worth trying here... blissful. We used a long boat to get there but didn't get any receipt for the route, our boat gave us 20minutes to walk around the market and eat, we spent 15 and realized we needed more... we went back and asked for more, but 15min after, the boat left without us. It wasn't a shared boat, we rented it for this trip to the market. You can also access the market via tuktuk or bolt (you'll spend a 10th of the boat), I suggest you do that since the private boats are overpriced.

the area is nice but rather small. the commute to this area can be rather challenging given the narrow roads and becomes worst if there are tourist bus trying to enter (as we experienced with detour around 15-20mins). spend about 30mins here without the coffee or meals

The Thailand Cultural Centre in Bangkok is a versatile venue for cultural and educational activities. It features two theaters for various concerts, shows, and performances, including national and international cultural displays. The center hosts symphony orchestra concerts and provides an exhibition space. Visitors can enjoy comfortable seating with excellent acoustics, making it an ideal location for classical concerts. However, food and drinks are only available in the outdoor concession area.
Wonderful concert hall with excellent acoustics and lighting. The seating is very comfortable with plenty of legroom. Restrooms are conveniently located on both sides at the front of the hall, and there are additional restrooms in separate buildings at the back. A dedicated parking building is available right across from the venue. The hall regularly hosts world-renowned pianists and musicians. Most concerts start at 7:30 PM, which I find a bit late personally. There are a few restaurants beside the hall, plus seating areas where audiences can relax before, during, and after the performances. Overall, this concert hall offers a fantastic experience for music lovers, combining great acoustics, comfortable amenities, and convenient facilities. I highly recommend attending performances here.

The hall was dated and classic look. No elevator was accessible to whoever needed. There were many small toilets which wasn’t pleasant. People needed to queue up long and perhaps time consuming until the intermediate break passed. Drinking was prohibited inside, but there was a snack stall in the right-hand side. I drived there and parked underground the adjacent building. Gotta run in the rain after the opera show. But the show was excellent. I was sitting on the third floor and still heard their voices and the orchestra fairly clear.

Concert hall is very well built Not big and could see the show very close by even at the back of level 1. Sound system is very good too. Only downside is there is nothing around the place. Nearest mall is 10 mins walk away and not so easy to walk if raining.

My family attended a symphony concert in Thailand for the first time, arriving with thrilled and joyful anticipation. The program featured the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra performing mostly theme songs from cartoons directed by Hayao Miyazaki, which our entire family loves deeply. Cool Craft Beer Bar! I enjoyed 10 beers using 2 Tasty Cards! (1 Tasty card can enjoy 5 beers, not the same time, one by one, but it's still good!) All beers are brewed in Thailand, and beer styles includes not only lager, but also hazy, sour, stout····· they are so delicious! one of the staff informed me that I could enjoy popcorn for free! what a kind man he was! when I about to leave, staffs gave me a coaster and sticker for me, that made me happy! If you like to drink craft beer, here is the best place!

Great variety of in-house brews — from easy-drinking lagers to bold IPAs and rich stouts. Most of the beers are well-balanced and brewed with intention. The space itself has a cool industrial vibe, with indoor-outdoor seating and a laid-back feel. Great for both chill evenings and beer geek meetups. Food is decent, though not the main highlight — mostly pub-style bites that pair well with beer.

Saha Pracha Chuen Brewery So chill! Great beer, tasty food, and super friendly staff. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is perfect for hanging out with friends. Definitely a good spot to relax and enjoy the night! ✨🙌🏻🍺

Food was good, but the staff at the counter didn’t really want to let you try out more than one or two beers from the tap. I understand from the business standpoint, but I’ve never seen or been to a craft beer place in Thailand that doesn’t encourage customers to try out the various styles of craft beers. That totally kills the mood of this place. Ended up finishing the meal real fast and went to another beer place instead. 👎🏼
Waris I — Google review
A very cozy craft beer spot with a great atmosphere. Their Weizen is wonderfully fragrant and tasty, and the wheat IPA I sampled was also excellent. I’d love to try a full glass next time. I was hoping for a salad, but unfortunately the Caesar salad was sold out. I ended up having only the beef fat fried rice, which was quite good. The menu is limited, and for those who can’t handle spicy food, the options are rather restricted. Prices are a bit on the high side considering the location. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Despite being tucked away in a quiet residential area, the place still had a decent crowd, showing how popular it is. I also like that they use the proper glass for each beer style. It’s not an area I usually visit, but I’d definitely like to come back.

Local brewery and pub with a wide selection of local and international craft beers. I had a tap 6, Thai craft lager with impressive notes of citrus and honey (as fruity as IPA). If you are into craft beers and would like to explore the local craft beers scene, this is the place for you !

Great brew pub a bit from the beaten track. Good beers on tap from the brewery and several guest taps. They also have a good selection of locally brewed tinnies in the fridge. The food is Thai pub style and delicious. Live music every night from 1930 ish onwards. Also great and friendly staff

Many thanks to the professionalism of every department and all the staff ka 🙏✨. All attendees at the event said that the food was delicious in every menu 🍽️😋. Khun Tarn – MC 🎤, was very professional. I didn’t even need to brief her, as she could run the event smoothly without missing a thing 👏. She entertained the crowd well and kept the atmosphere lively and fun 🎉😁. All of my colleagues had a wonderful time 💃🕺. The service staff – Khun Mew, Khun Tan, and Khun Piw – were very enthusiastic and supportive, assisting my guests with great care 🤝😊. The attendees were truly impressed and enjoyed themselves a lot 🌟. Everyone even wished we could continue playing golf for another hour ⛳⏳. It was a pity I booked only two hours 😅.

*see @megsandalex IG for more Bangkok recommendations!* We were really impressed with the experience at Top Golf. We had played it years ago in London, so were excited to play again! Massive put-off area with multiple floors. We’d recommend the top floor for perspective and view. The driving range is large and there is a variety of games to play, suitable for all types of groups and families. We also had dinner here and again were really impressed with the quality of food here!

This vibrant riverside venue will feature a spectacular performance by global sensation LISA of BLACKPINK and an impressive eco-friendly fireworks display that stretches along the Chao Phraya River, crafted by Japan's esteemed pyrotechnician Oguchi Yoshimasa.
Been there to take the river cruise. What a pleasant surprise, this mall is amazing. The decor, the offer is so cool. I recommend to visit around 6.30 pm, there is a lights and music show in the fountain at 7 pm every day abs then again at 8 pm. You can have food inside the mall and enjoy the show outside

Before we rode The Opulence Cruise, we actually took some time to explore the Riverside of ICONSIAM, specifically the River Park ICONSIAM (ลานริเวอร์ ปาร์ค ไอคอนสยาม). The place was beautiful it offered such a stunning riverside view, especially during the golden hour before sunset. 🌇 We took this chance to capture some lovely moments with my wife and Hazel using our Insta360 camera, and the shots turned out amazing! The backdrop of the river and the ICONSIAM lights made every photo picture perfect. It was a relaxing and memorable start before our evening cruise adventure. 📸✨

One of my favorite event venues in Bangkok! 💙 I’ve been here several times already and I always enjoy my experience. Paragon Hall is clean, spacious, and very well organized. It’s super convenient to travel — located right inside Siam Paragon with easy access from the BTS Siam Station. 🚆✨ The staff are friendly, the air-conditioning is comfortable, and everything always runs smoothly. Whether it’s a conference, exhibition, or concert, the atmosphere feels professional and modern every time. Definitely one of the best venues in Bangkok! 💫

The Kylie Tension tour 2025 Kylie is incredible and wow what a performance and her band and show was incredible. The venue and sound NOT. The sound was the worst sound I’ve ever been to for a concert. It was really disappointing, I have heard many say how bad Paragon Hall is for a headliner concert but never thought it was this bad :(. Luckily KYLIE is such a professional and so amazing. I’ll think twice in the future before attending that venue again. @ticketmajor After the Concert they shut all escalators to exit - so they had thousands of people waiting for elevators - not only was it dangerous but took ages. Very bad management.
David L — Google review
A nice Thai gal took my papped entrance posé. She's cute and not bad at boosting my diva personality. I've followed Kylie's musical career since her debut in 1988. She's a great entertainer, often dubbed as the Princess of Pop next to Madame X, and I always have a soft spot for her endearing stage presence — She's posh yet easygoing, never a prima donna gal. The pinoy couple said they are in love because of Kylie... It was a beautiful moment! I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY to have stood by just next to them. Is the sound system in Paragon Hall so bad? I'm not sure. Were all exit facilities shut as fast as the show wrapped up and less safe, yes, kinda, Thaiticketmajor please take note.

I went today, Christmas day, 25 December 2021, to Siam Square, to walk around and have lunch. Soon after, I found myself on Siam Paragon top floor for first time ever. I was astonished when I saw a large exhibition for a big variety of Marijuana products available to the public legally for multiple purposes. I was surprised to see for first time in Thailand, Marjanna being used to treat some illness, for cooking and drinks, sweet and personal consumption and other use. Roughly a year and half ago the Thai health authority allowed for the Marjianna to be used for medical purpose and the government was hoping to attract millions of overseas tourists whether for Marijuana personal consumption or medical treatment, but sadly coronavirus stop the government dreams from coming true until now. But I believe there is huge potential for such new product to be used as alternative for certain traditional medicines and gain access to many international markets in overseas and making billions of dollars for Thailand. The interesting things I saw a lady was cooking Marjiunna soup, another lady was cooking chicken and Marjiunna. Also I saw Marjiunna desserts. I think Marjiunna for medical purpose should be given a chance because it could be a safe alternative for some traditional medicines in near future. However, people must be aware using marjiunna still illegal in Thailand without a legal permit from the Thai authorities. By the way I don't smoke or drink or take any drugs and never recommend it to anyone unless for a medical purpose. Indeed, it was very interesting Christmas day in Siam Paragon, Royal Paragon Hall.

The venue offers comfortable seating, good organization, and infrastructure with easy access to toilets near the gates. Additionally, it features impressive sound and lighting effects along with large screens for a close-up view of the stage.
We went to see The Strokes, it was good! Although it's far from the city centre it was quite easy to get a taxi back. The venue itself was well organised and beers were cheap and plentiful.

I was here for Le Sserafim concert on 9th Aug 2025. Travel: I came from Ratchathewi, so it's an hour train ride. It was easy to get here. When you reach the last station, you have to walk a for around 10-15 minutes to reach the dome. Sittings: I was in the standing pan, so we were quite close to the stage. For this concert, they extended the stage to the middle of the dome. You can get clear view if you're tall. I suggest taking seats because it's quite close to the stage. I suggest you to bring pocket fan, it can be quite hot there.

Sing Sing Theater is a dark and stylish nightclub in Bangkok, designed by Ashley Suttons with a Chinese-style decor that reflects a Hollywood vision of 1930s Shanghai. The club features red lighting, elaborate metal screens, and petite dance floor acting as the hub for mezzanines and sunken bars. It's known for its highbrow atmosphere, fantasy replica of 1930s Shanghai, and themed concept parties such as 'underwater' and 'carnival'.

The entrance fee is 300 baht per person. Inside, drinks start from around 365 baht. The place itself is quite small, so it can feel a bit uncomfortable. One thing I actually like is the toilet — it’s spacious and there’s no need to wait in line. The dance floor is really tight, so when it gets crowded, it’s almost impossible to move. The bartender is friendly and easy to talk to, which is nice. Another thing I like is that at the entrance, they have a locker-style service where you can leave your belongings, which is very convenient. Just make sure not to lose the little card they give you for that. Sing Sing Theater is definitely one of Bangkok’s most unique nightlife spots. With its Chinese-inspired vintage décor and chandeliers, it’s a perfect place for photos and Instagram-worthy moments. House of HEALS is a top-notch drag bar located in Bangkok, known for its exceptional drag performances and vibrant atmosphere. Owned by Pangina Heals, the reigning queen of Asia's drag scene, this venue offers a unique and fabulous experience every night. Situated at the upscale Renaissance hotel, it boasts a stunning view of Bangkok's skyline and an inviting club ambiance. While drinks may be pricier than average, the world-class drag performers and warm staff make it worth it.
One of the most peaceful yet electrifying experiences I had in Thailand was stumbling into the grand reopening of Neo Lights, and I feel so lucky the timing worked out. The show featured an incredible lineup of international queens, including several TV Drag Race contestants, and every performance was absolutely on point. The energy in the room was amazing, and the event was well organized with just the right crowd size, giving me space to enjoy the show comfortably. I came ready with a stack of bills to tip the queens and fully immerse myself in the moment. The only small hiccup was waiting about five minutes for a cocktail, but the staff kindly brought it to my table, which made up for the delay. I would have loved to see Pangina perform live, but even without her, this night ended up being one of the biggest highlights of my trip. If you're ever in Thailand and looking for a vibrant night filled with talent, glamour, and great vibes, Neo Lights is a must visit. #houseofheals

Kind of a nice place. A bit strange set up, as you have different zones where you can get tickets. Not so inclusive feeling more like economy, business and first class. Not what drag should be. Anyhow happy evening.

We were really excited to go to this club to see the drag show. We didn't have a reservation, but it was early, so we took our chance. We arrived at the hotel and a very nice gentleman greeted us, but his attitude immediately changed when we told him we hadn't booked. He started calling the bar (on the 33rd floor) and made us wait, pretending there wasn't enough space. After 5 minutes, he allowed us to go up. When we arrived, a very unfriendly woman made us two proposals (it was bi by o night, advertised as “free entry”): 2,000 baht for the table with drinks up to that amount, or we could have a cocktail for at least 370 baht each and get a table without seats. When we decided for the second option, more contempt in her eyes. We entered and the place was empty (what’s the point in pretending downstairs?): two seated tables and no more than 6 people standing. Moreover, freezing temperature at 15 degrees. They took out chairs on purpose (another group arrived and was located in a table with chairs and waiters took them out), I’m still looking for the alcohol in the cocktails. I must say the place is wonderful inside, there’s a view over Bangkok and the decor is stylish. The first part of the evening was spent wondering why this place treats people like that, then calm returned thanks to the drag show (the two stars are for them). But Bangkok has loads of drag bars, so, I recommend looking for other ones, like Stranger bar in Silom ;)

Such a fun and vibrant experience! The venue is so pretty and located in the Renaissance hotel, you take elevator to the top floor! Would have rated 5 stars but it was upsetting to learn they do not take cash to pay the entry fee! ( 300 Baht a person, includes a drink! ) Will definitely come back.

We were in Bangkok for two weeks, and our visit to House of Heals was easily one of the most memorable experiences of the trip! My friend and I were absolutely blown away by the atmosphere — it was electric, fun, and full of life. The drag queens were gorgeous, super talented, and bursting with personality. Their performances were entertaining, hilarious, and full of charm. The music and DJ were fantastic, and the whole vibe of the place was just incredible. The only hiccup we had was at the entrance — we had booked through Agoda, but the staff initially said our booking wasn’t valid even though we’d already paid. It caused a bit of stress at the start, but thankfully it was sorted out, and the amazing show made us forget all about it. All in all, House of Heals is a must-visit in Bangkok — fun, fabulous, and truly unforgettable!

My friend and I went to the free flow Thursday last week. The cocktails were amazing especially the Pangina one. Impressive live vocal performance from The Voice of Pride. My friend had a little too much to drink trying to get the most out of the free flow alcohol of that day. She got completely wasted and came back from the toilet and somehow lost her bag. It took us a while to find her stuffs with the help of the staffs. The bouncer was so helpful in helping me get my friend on the car. Would definitely recommend everyone to go. I had a nice dinner over the Chaophraya river with my family. The overall experience is good but not unforgettable. The food is fresh and the service is good. But part of it, there is still a constructive feedback from me. The ticket was around 1300baht. The food is not worth the money due to the limited dishes available. It's not as varied as I thought it would be with this price. Besides this, the experience is worth trying, at least once. But make sure you get to the top deck to get the stunning experience. On the other hand, they have live music and shows. But to me, it's not the vibe that matches the environment. The music is more likely it was in the pub while I think more calm or classic music or songs would match better with the environment. On the other hand, the performers asked if the audiences wanted to take photos. People went up to take photos and later were asked or demanded to pay them for photo shooting with them. In my culture, it should be shown or told in advance before the action. It's not a good experience for me to be demanded to pay, although it should be a kind of goodwill.

Missable if you have been to a cruise before. Dinner cruise boarding time is around 7.45 pm from pier 2. But you have to reach there earlier to get tickets/seats even if u have booked online. We reached there by 5.30 pm from Iconsiam mall and took tickets so that we could get seats on Deck. Then we explored the Asiatique riverfront which has cute stalls and cafes to relax. We went to pier by 7 pm to see a huge crowd of ppl from different cruises waiting. It was so hot and humid plus the crowd was making it worse. Around 8 pm white orchid cruise came and we boarded it. Deck was nice with beautiful views, cool air and array of food. However food options were limited and more of continental. Fried chicken, fish and fries were dripping in oil and horrible to taste. Sushi was available only downstairs and was not that great too. In desserts they had chocolate and strawberry pastries and authentic thai desserts which were inedible. There was loud music in background with host telling us abt surrounding monuments like wat Arun and iconsiam mall. At the end there were few carbaret performance which was ok. Price of the tickets is too high for the experience they provide.

White Orchid River Cruise – A Memorable Dining Experience on the Chao Phraya River I recently had the chance to experience the White Orchid River Cruise during my vacation in Thailand. The boarding process took a bit longer than expected due to a long queue, but once on board, it was smooth sailing from there. The dinner was enjoyable, with a good mix of Thai and international dishes. The highlight for me was the live music – they played songs from different countries based on the guests' nationalities, which made the atmosphere feel very welcoming and festive. Overall, it was a pleasant evening with nice food, beautiful river views, and great entertainment. Definitely a recommended experience if you're visiting Thailand and want something different for dinner.

Great river cruise with buffet and unlimted beer on tap 🚰 very fun while going under low bridge 😁😁 unfortunately the water was to high when I visited so we couldn't go the orignal route which is more beautiful, overall good experience 👍👍👍

An unforgettable experience! The White Orchid Dinner Cruise was the perfect blend of beautiful scenery, delicious food, and lively entertainment. Cruising along the Chao Phraya River with the city lights reflecting on the water was simply magical. The buffet offered a great variety of Thai and international dishes, all fresh and flavorful. The live music and cultural performances created a wonderful atmosphere throughout the evening. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. I highly recommend this cruise for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable night out in Bangkok it was truly a highlight of my trip!

Aksra Theatre is a 600-seat modern Baroque-style venue in Bangkok, Thailand. It's renowned for its puppet shows, offering an immersive experience into Thai folktales and regional culture. The theater showcases varied performing arts and is celebrated for its fine Thai craftsmanship. Conveniently located near Victory Monument, it's easily accessible by car or public transportation. The surrounding area offers plenty of dining options, making it a great place to hang out before catching a show.
Good place for event. Easy to commute by personal car or public transportation, Bts. Short walk to get in. Many restaurants right around the place for hanging out and grab food and drink before the event. Very beautiful decoration...stunning. Restroom is not very close to the hall with many steps... not easy for elderly and handicap.

SpeakerBox is a popular live music venue in Bangkok that features up and coming bands from all genres. Every night, they host a variety of music shows with various artists. If you're looking for some great live tunes and want to explore different styles, SpeakerBox is the place for you!
Like all great venues before them, With its longevity, consistency and authentic diy music culture, Speaker box remind predominant in the local music scene. The venue recently renovated and moved to a bigger space with bar area and clean toilet, walking distance from the OG spot. The live room capacity is about 200 - 250 max. Decent size for an intimate live music experience. Do check out their calendar before hand as they only have bands for event nights only. On the other hand, the bar area is always open most nights. Drinks start at around 100+ baht. If you’re looking for a music venue in Bangkok, this is definitely one of the place worth checking out.

The day I went, there was a 300 THB ticket fee, which couldn't be exchanged for any drinks. I thought the music would be great, but the fact is there were a lot of sound technical issues. During the one hour I was there, they only managed to play one full song loudly. I'm quite disappointed, but anyway, there are a lot of Thai craft beers available at reasonable prices. It could be a great place to hang out if you visit on the right night.

Speakbox rocks. It probably rolls, jumps, and pops too given the number, and diversity, of gigs held there. Speakerbox offers a great set up for patrons with a nice bar space for pre concert drinks and socializing. The performance space is rectangular shaped giving patrons good sight lines and an up close, intimate atmosphere for singers and bands. A bar is also conveniently located at the side. I had no gripes with the sound the night I visited and all-up it was a good night out and I look forward to more shows in the future.

Great space for indie and underground bands, as well as electronic and DJ acts. It features a top-notch sound system, massive LED screen for visuals, and dynamic lighting. There are two rooms: a lounge with a pool table, and a livehouse-style main room, both equipped with bars.

The food was just amazing! I absolutely loved it and would love to go back some time. The service was also very good. They were patient and explained the courses that were being served. There was great music and drinks on board. I am so glad that it worked out as a great birthday gift for my husband!

My husband & I booked this dinner cruise for our final night in Bangkok. It was an amazing cruise, food was delicious, ambiance was great and the service was absolutely fantastic. The crew made sure that we were comfortable and were always on hand to take photos for us. Props to Ekkorn as he was always attentive with his service and very friendly. We preferred this cruise over the other ones as it was less crowded. The other dinner cruises had so many guests on board and was too rowdy. Would definitely go on this cruise again with other family members!

I’m shocked at the great reviews for Saffron dinner cruise because it was everything but great. (1) The menu that I was served was different from the one that was shown when I booked which was disappointing because the food I was served wasn’t good at all. (2) It was a four course meal where every course was doused in coconut milk/sauce, from the appetizer to the dessert. Coconut doesn’t need to go in everything and that’s coming from someone who loves coconut. (3) The shrimp in the spring rolls were very hard. (4) The beef tenderloin was soaked in a strong coconut broth that prevented you from tasting the meat. (5) The welcome cocktail leaves a weird, bitter taste in your mouth. (6) The boat kept on going up and down the same section of the river, making constant U-turns. (7) The soup was more coconut broth with a single scallop in it. (8) The fish had a very bad aftertaste, almost like it went bad. I believe they put fish oil in the roasted fish to make it taste more fishy? Whatever the rationale, it was bad. (9) I was charged for two full bottles (over 300 TBH) or flat and sparkling water but they only poured a small amount and kept the rest of the bottle. I was really looking forward to this dinner but it was disappointing and a waste of money. I would never do this again. You’re better off doing a cheap buffet dinner cruise.

Food Review: Saffron Cruise Saffron Cruise offers a unique dining experience with stunning views and a warm welcome that sets the tone for the evening. The traditional drink served upon arrival is a delightful touch, creating an atmosphere of hospitality. The appetizer, featuring beautifully prepared salmon, was a promising start. It was paired with a flavorful and comforting soup that showcased the chef’s expertise. Unfortunately, the main course did not maintain this standard. The fried shrimp, served whole with its shell, head, and an unappealing smell, was difficult to eat and lacked the freshness one would expect from such a dish. On the brighter side, the green curry was well-executed and provided a satisfying contrast. The dessert, however, fell short of expectations. The mango sticky rice, typically a highlight of Thai cuisine, was underwhelming, and the accompanying ice cream was bland and unremarkable.

The Mirinn Show is a top cabaret show in Bangkok that is well worth seeing. The performers are all very talented and the production is large and impressive. The price is also very reasonable, making it an affordable option for those interested in going. Hopefully the show can be promoted more effectively in order to draw in more tourists, as it would be great to see this become an even bigger attraction.
The Bangkok Mirinn Show is an incredible experience that combines traditional Thai culture with modern elements in an exciting performance. The show features stunning choreography, vibrant costumes, and captivating music that keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. The performers are highly talented, delivering each act with energy and precision. The intimate venue ensures great views from every seat, making it easy to enjoy the details of the performance. It’s a great way to experience Thai culture and entertainment in one evening. Perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a unique night out in Bangkok!
Suresh J — Google review
The MiRinn Show in Bangkok is a visually captivating ladyboy cabaret, boasting impressive costumes, makeup, and hairstyles. Many of the performers looked stunning, adding to the overall charm of the performance. However, there are some areas where the show could improve. The costumes and makeup were fantastic, but the dancing and overall coordination could use some work. Since the performers lip-sync rather than sing live, their dancing should be even more precise to maintain the show’s energy and appeal. At times, the performers seemed a bit lost, which broke the flow of the show. The ladyboy performers definitely stole the spotlight with their energy and enthusiasm, while the male performers didn't seem to put in the same level of effort. Their makeup, hair, and costumes were also not as polished as those of the ladyboy performers. The venue was a bit further out at this rundown looking mall, I took a Grabbike there and back. When I first arrived, there seemed to be only around 5 spectators including myself, which were less than the number of performers. Thankfully, a tour group arrived just before the show started, filling up more seats, though still mostly empty, which kinda saddened me. And the audience was pretty unresponsive, which was a bit frustrating because the performers clearly put in a lot of effort. I missed the cut off time for buying tickets through Klook or Traveloka, which would have been cheaper and even offered 1-for-1 deals. As a walk-in, I was quoted 1,200 baht but got a discount and paid 900 baht. The ticket came with a complimentary drink—choices included water, champagne, or orange juice; I opted for water. At the end of the show, the audience exits at the front, where the performers line up and offer to take photos with you. I didn't take a photo, but it looked like you would have to pay for it; I'm not sure how much it costs, though. All in all, the MiRinn Show is an entertaining experience with room for improvement. It's still worth seeing for the vibrant costumes and dedicated performers, especially if you can snag a good deal on tickets online.

We really enjoyed the show. The outfits are by far the highlight. The journey through the world choreography was amazing and we had a lot of fun. I wish the show started at 20:30 - getting there 19:30 is really tough in peak Friday Traffic. They should also announced the photos cost money after the show. I felt a bit annoyed how everyone was pulling me for a photo after I already paid for the 1 in the review. This ruined my excitement a little bit. Our photo isn't the best quality, but I wanted to get out of the crowd 🤣. Perhaps having a dedicated photobooth would make it worth it.

We come at noon for lunch. Not so good food. Nice performance. Singer with beautiful voice. They're pretty and 💯 points lady. 100 baht/photo. Included in a tour.
Thư A — Google review
One of the must see shows in Bangkok. Price is affordable, performers are all talented, production is grand, place is elegant and over all it’s wow. Just hope their sales and marketing will have better ideas to promote their show, maybe they can try to tie up with other known attraction even in a give away price just for people to get familiar to it. Suggestion also - maybe a free photo-op at the end of the show in exchange of posting it publicly in a social media platform with a certain hashtag and checking in their location - just til the show becomes more popular to tourists.
Anna C — Google review
First half I’m Not really entertained, mostly lip-sync dance and 🎤 sing. But after half it gets better and better to be honest. I saw many cultures like Egypt 🇪🇬 China 🇨🇳 taiwan 🇹🇼 America 🇺🇸 Japan 🇯🇵 India 🇮🇳 Brazil 🇧🇷 dances. Mirinn is like alcohols that sinks you in. And well can’t compare to broadway but good enough. The only thing I really don’t like was after the show you will be walking through the “ladyboy bridge” where they will be 10 ladyboys standing at the exit and asking if you want photos with them and tips. Yeah I under but when 3-4 ladyboys grabbed my arm at the same time asking “me” to take photos with them I got scared away and hated that feeling. ).
賈瑋思 — Google review
I bought my ticket to the show from traveloka with luckily 60% discount. It was my first time watching cabaret and I was amazed with their energetic performance. I came 15 mins before the show and there was a singing & fashion show outside the teathre. For the regular ticket I bought, the welcome drink option ranges from soda (coca cola & sprite), sparkling water, and few options of alcoholic drinks - ice cubes provided. The show run for an hour with varieties of dance performance from different countries such as India, Japan, Chinese, Egypt, England, and definitely the opening was from Thailand itself. During the show there's a staff selling popcorn walking over your seats, so if you like to have one you can grab and buy. Every staff speaks English very well since it's an international type of show. Also, they're very friendly. By the end of the show, you can take photos with the dancers outside the teathre. They're not only professional dancers, additionally gorgeous too! Thanks for the show, it was really worth it ✨

Nestled in the heart of Bangkok, Mahaniyom Cocktail Bar is a hidden gem known for its daring and inventive cocktails. Tucked away behind an inconspicuous door guarded by a two-headed neon tiger, this speakeasy offers a sumptuous setting with souk-inspired decor. The bar's creative cocktails are meticulously crafted to perfection and perfectly complement the edgy bar snacks from the renowned nose-to-tail restaurant, 100 Mahaseth, located downstairs.
I’ve been here around four times. The drinks and service are always beyond exceptional. Easily one of my favorite cocktail bars in the world. I’ve never had a bad drink from them. They excel at making things they you wouldn’t necessarily think makes a good drink (worms, duck) and it being not only good but absolutely delicious. Just love this place!

Decent cocktail bar with an interesting and creative menu, and exceptional service from the team of staff. I like the local flavours featured on the menu. Went with a Worm and Cow cocktail where the former literally came with with worm as a snack. Flavours of Worm didn’t really come through but Cow was quite impressive where it truly tasted like a steak. We ordered their small bites, Moo Ping, Chicken Wings and Bone marrow. Food was really good and accompanied the food well. If anything, I just didn’t think the drinks and place were particularly memorable but the team of staff was absolutely. Lovely. Still happy to have checked it out and I hope they continue climbing the ranks on the top 50 list.

A cozy cocktail bar tucked away on the second floor. The service was good and the atmosphere had a cool vibe. The cocktails were good, though not exceptional, and the menu could do a better job highlighting the story behind the drinks and showcasing the award-winning one. I’d definitely go back to explore more of the menu.

Hidden behind a garage and up a staircase, this bar delivers high quality drinks with playful flair and bold creativity. Each cocktail is built around a single ingredient- like mango, jackfruit, or even squid - elevated and reimagined in surprising ways. The drinks lean toward unique flavor profiles over spirit-forwardness, but remain smooth, balanced, and refined. Fun vibe with some party energy and skilled bartenders. A place you could easily return to and keep discovering more.

Ending the day at Mahaniyom for their resourceful cocktail menu. Each drink uses one single ingredient to create the special taste. We’re not sure if our standards are just too high, but the drinks at Mahaniyom Bar didn’t quite hit the mark for us—some felt a bit off-balance and lacked the smoothness we expected. Went to a cover concert there and really liked the sound and the lights. However, if you host techno events in the club, there must be a quiet place to chill at. Arrange a room with dim lights, couches, pillows and incense so people can take a breath between the dances. Otherwise we have to stand outside and it’s exhausting.

This is one of my favorite bars in all of Bangkok. Let me explain... This is my local bar which is not far from my neighborhood. This means that I have the option to walk home if I don't feel like getting screwed over by the taxis that are waiting along Sukhumvit in the wee hours of the morning. Since I've been coming here for years, I have a comfortable place at the bar where I can enjoy the music and people who fill the place. Located in the Gigi/Subg Sing Complex, Iron Balls is an excellent place to grab one of their signature gin and tonic drinks. If you're hungry you may be able to order food at the bar or you can pop over to Gigi for Italian fare. It can be very quiet on certain nights, so be sure to check before making your plans.

This is one of the coolest bars in Bangkok. From the moment we got there, we were greeted with amazing hospitality by our server Champ who entertained us throughout the night and made sure all was good. Drinks were good and strong though a bit pricey. This place is famous for their gin but their other cocktails were good too. For bar bites: I recommend getting the oyster shots and the chicken karaage. The place was pretty big - we went exploring after a few drinks and the decor just blew my mind. Overall a really nice and cozy place for drinks with friends - we enjoyed our time here very much!

Had great time here last week. Two headliners in one night which is rare. American and British comedians, both very talented artists. It was a great show at a cool venue with a fun crowd. Always an entertaining night here in the heart of Bangkok.

Last time I caught a comedy show in Hua Hin, it was Tom Rhodes, and I have to say, I really respected & appreciated how he handled a rude woman who kept filming and heckling. More recently, I saw Dwayne Perkins perform, and he was great! Chris and Jennie’s improv was seriously impressive too—well done to both of them! And Wes Dalton as the opener? Hilarious & energetic. His crowd work had everyone laughing. Please, please, please bring more comedy to Hua Hin! Us retirees prefer something positively fun and different from the usual routine!

Chiangmai! Hope to have more in Chiangmai ! Absolutely loved it! The stand-up comedy night here was a perfect mix of laughs, energy, and real connection with the audience. The vibe was cozy and welcoming, and the crowd was into it, which made the whole experience even better. Great drink options and a smooth setup too. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for a good laugh and a fun night out!

We thoroughly enjoyed Sunday nights show! Absolutely a highlight for our three nights in Bangkok. All of the comedians, hailing from all over the world, were engaging and funny! Shout out to the host, he was amazing!

Located on the top floor of The Royal Oak bar or P. J. O'Brien's, it's kind of hidden bar concept as there's no sign board displayed. We had to wait outside the bar till the door is open at 8pm (unless you prepare to have a drink or meal at the bar, then go early) . It is a free seating, first come first serve. Overall we spent around 2 hours + for the show. It's suitable for locals, expats and tourist who is looking for some good laugh. They do run some other activities like Open Mic, best is check out their website.

Came here for dinner and drinks and also attended Improve Comedy. It is different from standup comedy. If you speak English and want to see something different, come to this place on the 2nd floor. They have chess competition on the 1st floor and restaurant on the ground floor.

Romsai All-day International Restaurant is a delightful culinary haven that offers an impressive array of dishes to satisfy every palate. Guests can indulge in a variety of breakfast options, from local favorites like Kanom Jeen with fish curry to classic English breakfasts and healthy choices. The restaurant features a live cooking station where you can customize your meals, including boiled eggs and fluffy banana pancakes.
Went for an international buffet at Romsai Restaurant today, located in the luxurious Banyan Tree Hotel. The food quality was impressive, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. They even served wine, which the staff generously refilled without hesitation! Each guest received a whole lobster, and the crab meat was sweet and flavorful. The sashimi was fresh, sweet, and free of any fishy taste—truly enjoyable. Overall, I’d say it was a great experience. Normally the price is around THB 1,6xx per person, but they’re running a promotion until April 2025: come as a group of 3 and pay for only 2. Considering the quality, variety, and central location, it’s absolutely worth it!

Amazing Sunday Brunch at Romsai – Banyan Tree Bangkok ⭐ If you’re looking for a luxurious and satisfying Sunday brunch, Romsai Restaurant at Banyan Tree Bangkok is the place to be! I had an absolutely delightful experience — from the premium seafood to the cozy atmosphere, everything was top-notch. 🙌 🦞 The highlight for me was the Lobster Thermidor (half a lobster per person) — perfectly cooked and flavorful. The seafood on ice was fresh and abundant, including blue crab, tiger prawns, and French oysters. So fresh and delicious! 🍣 The Japanese corner was equally impressive with a wide variety of sushi and sashimi. There were also tender steaks, lamb chops, and grilled salmon at the carving station. For Chinese cuisine lovers, the Peking duck and dim sum were spot on. 🌶️ I also loved the mix of Thai and fusion dishes — flavorful and spicy just the way I like it. Don’t even get me started on dessert! The chocolate fondue, homemade ice cream, and cakes were the perfect ending to the meal. 🍰 🥂 Plus, the free-flow special drinks made the whole experience even more enjoyable. You get 3 full hours of indulgence, and trust me, it’s worth every second. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to enjoy a top-tier international buffet in Bangkok. Great food, relaxing vibe, and excellent service. Will definitely be back!

Came here for dinner. Grilled station was very good and finger rib beef was the best. Sashimi was standard grade. Braised beef was very good. Lots of dessert included thai dessert (banana in coconut milk in my visited day). Coconut cake was the best for dessert. Good vibes. Suitable for both dates dinner and family.

I would like to sincerely compliment the staff at Romsai Restaurant, Banyan Tree Bangkok, Sathorn. I have dined here several times, but this visit was truly exceptional. The service was outstanding — the staff were warm, attentive, and always smiling. They recommended dishes with care and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What impressed me the most was the thoughtfulness of one of the staff members. I had a cough during the meal, and they kindly brought me a warm honey and lime drink to soothe my throat. On top of that, they even prepared another one in a takeaway cup for me on the way out. Such a sweet and caring gesture — it really made my day. Thank you for the wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

"The Legend" is a unique and upscale shop that may seem intimidating at first glance, but it's definitely worth a visit. Located conveniently near a hostel, this place offers an array of exquisite items such as celadon chopsticks holders, milk/sauce pitchers, woven coasters, and more. The shop also provides beautifully wrapped items to ensure they are well-protected for travel.

We've arrived home after purchase but the pink flower in attached photo has not been packed. We couldn't find this object anywhere which is so disappointed. How can you give me compensation for this? Why you missed that small cute thing! It makes me so sad🥲

All of shop staff are warmly welcoming and assisting customers, and they are so polite. Highly recommended to whomever wishes to purchase Siam Celadon in Bangkok. There are a lot of varieties of Siam Celadon items and kindest staff. For sure the visitors will find the best Siam Celadon item(s) for him/her.

A rare gem. Place looked fancy and not dissimilar to an antique shop, so I hesitated to enter for many days (my hostel was right round the corner). They have things like celadon chopsticks holder, which I'll double as paperweights, starting at 38 THB. Milk/ sauce pitcher. There's also woven coaster. Chopsticks, chopsticks with metallic ornaments, comb. Etc. There'll sure to be something for everyone, big to small, simple to complex. They have things nicely wrapped, well protected for your flight.

I had an amazing experience at Muay Thai Street in Bangkok! I initially booked a group session, but since there weren’t many people at that time (as they offer daily sessions), I ended up having a one-on-one class with the instructor. And honestly, it was perfect! As someone who had never tried Muay Thai before, I was a bit nervous, but TOP, the instructor, was incredibly patient and pedagogical. He took the time to teach me the basics, encouraged me a lot, and really pushed me to give my best. His support and motivation made a huge difference! If you’re looking for an optimal Muay Thai experience, this is the place to go. The atmosphere is great, and I truly had a fantastic time. I highly recommend it!
Oudad Y — Google review
I trained Muay Thai here for a class and happened to be the only one, so it turned into a one-on-one session. Hall, the coach, was top quality — super knowledgeable, patient, and professional. He tailored the workout perfectly to suit my strengths while also taking the time to correct any technical flaws I had. I got a lot out of the session and would highly recommend training here to anyone, whether you’re a complete beginner or a more experienced fighter.

Found this Gym whilst on a short stay in Bangkok, can either use the gym or the Thai boxing studio, both for a cheap price. Plenty of machines & weights and a small open space upstairs. Friendly service also you can buy water here. 1-2-1 Thai boxing sessions are available. Would recommend this place..:))
Chopsocky — Google review
Google's listed hours are for the Muay Thai offering. The gym opens at 06:00 🙂 This is a good, budget gym. 250 for one day pass isn't crazy cheap, but 1,000 baht for a week or 1,700 for a month seemed like great value to me. There's a pull up bar, treadmills etc and a good selection of dumbbells. The only thing I wanted but couldn't find was a kettlebell over 4 kilos. The dumbbells go up to 50, though.
Trent A — Google review
Combined gym and Muay Thai facility. Unlimited weekly use of both included in weekly membership feels like incredible value. The drop-in Muay Thai is not too crowded so you are almost 1-to-1 with the coach until you are on the bag or rope.

Asiatique, located along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, is a large open-air shopping center with shops, waterfront restaurants, and even the Calypso Theater. The highlight of Asiatique is its charming ferry station and iconic Ferris wheel that offers stunning views of the sunset over the river. Despite being crowded at times, visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options and beautiful river views. The area's historic ship adds to its exotic charm.
Many people there. When people visit Bangkok, anyone should go here. During i was here, I felt the history of Bangkok and the story of Bangkok. Also, I got on the big boat for sailing Jaopraya River. Great sunset and wind from the river. It was amazing. And also you can find lots of markets for food and clothes.

A very lively place and small theme park. We took the tourist boat to from Saphan Thaksin to the pier at Asiatique to avoid the traffic jam on the road. There is also free shuttle boat from Asiatique to Saphan Thaksin. The Blue flag boat cost around 40 baht from Saphan Thaksin therefore ask around to ensure you get on the free boat instead. The place has a lot of shops and restaurants and we went there as it was the departing port for our dinner cruise. You can get there early and explore the area, it has a lot of food stalls and restaurants, it also has big Miniso with collaborations with other brands. The theme park has ferris wheel, haunted house ride as well as merry go round. So good place for families and kids.

The Tips Design Concept offers valuable advice for travelers. It's important to note that there may be surcharges during special events and holidays, and it's recommended to inquire about cruise operation dates. When visiting the Bangkok Art & Culture Centre, picking up the Bangalore Art Map is suggested as it provides guidance through art galleries and upcoming exhibitions. Additionally, for printing needs in Bangkok, exploring various options can lead to finding affordable services with quick turnaround times.

Great service. Went here to originally print some e-visas and ended up buying some stationary too. Great selection of pens, pencils, and multiple binder & folder options. They do all types of printing jobs and you can email them before you arrive to discuss your particular needs - You can also just walk-in. They also had some very nice sticker packs with many different designs. Overall they offer a Straight forward and efficient service. Highly recommend.

Used Tips for my photo exhibition earlier this year and currently using them to do some prints. Their service is excellent - Juice actually responds to emails/LINE messages unlike some others I tried - and the print quality is excellent. Also their prices are really good compared to other print labs I tried. Strongly recommend this company.

I was looking for a print shop in the city to print out some of my documents with more than 100 pages. Some shops charge around 4/5 bahts per page for black and white print. I decided to look out for more options in the sense of long-term so that I ended up coming here, being recommended by some people from internet. I am so glad with the service from this shop as they do the job really fast and charged only 1 baht/page (normal paper/A4 size). You can also get your documents in different papers and sizes as well, I found the shop is handling the diverse requests from some students. Highly recommended!

A male officer (not sure if he is the iwner) of the shop is not quite polite and showing bad expression on the a visitor. I am cool down enough not to have long argument with him. In my personal opinion, he has very bad service-minded. The way of giving service and dealing with a visitor is not very professional.

The owner curates the lineup based on local indie charts and word of mouth while also providing opportunities for young unknown bands to showcase their talent. Visitors appreciate the venue's design and prime location.
The view from this room is fantastic, giving me a pleasant surprise. The room is exceptionally clean and features a clever dry-wet separation design.
