1Pad Thai & Tom Yum 2.

Family restaurant
Pad Thai & Tom Yum 2 is a must-visit spot in Bangkok for an exceptional culinary adventure. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, along with the attentive service, enhances the dining experience. The Pad Thai is bursting with flavors and includes an abundance of vegetables, offering a delightful twist on the traditional dish. Meanwhile, the Tom Yum soup delivers a spicy and tangy sensation that leaves a lasting impression.
If you want authentic Thai food, great service, and value pricing, this is the place. The location of the spot is tucked away on the right side of the long alley. The owner is very friendly and has great hospitality. He was very generous giving me watermelon while I waited for my food to be ready. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was delicious. After my meal he surprised me with mango sticky rice, which was the best I’ve had so far in Thailand. Not only that, but he is generous in all his portions. After paying for the meal and thanking him again, he even sent me on my way with bottled water to-go. Truly a great person and very caring man.

We had to come here based on the reviews and I’m so happy we did. The owner is beyond generous with his many free items he gave to us. We had the Som Tom, chicken pad Thai, minced pork with basil and it was all so delicious! The mango sticky rice was the best I’ve ever had. There are drawings all over the walls and with the many fans going it was very comfortable. We will be going here again and I encourage all to bless your bellies with this food and bless the pockets of this kind, hard working small business. Thank you!!

The staff/ owners are exceptionally welcoming. Amazing food and service. I asked for the Tom Yum soup without meat and they gladly served me a vegetarian version. So if you're vegan or vegetarian do ask if they can make a dish without the meat. I also asked for rice with tom yum - not sure if they generally serve it with or without rice. Before my order arrived they gave me a free plate of mango sticky rice. The owner/ staff loudly said "WELCOME TO THAILAND!" with a big smile. The food was delicious. Tom yum was incredible and the mango sticky rice was probably the best I've had, yet at least. The portion was more than generous - I almost couldn't finish my food. I think they also charged me less for food with no meat. Overall a great experience. Awesome food, very welcoming people. Will definitely try to eat there again.

The Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup and Fried Morning glory at Pad Thai and Tom Yum 2, is the best 400 Baht you can spend in Bangkok. An absolutely delicious meal only surpassed by the service. Ice and drinking water provided on arrival, free sliced fruit Pineapple/Melon whilst waiting for your order and free Mango and sticky coconut rice as you finish your main dish!!! The unassuming exterior and owner/server make the restaurant an even more authentic experience. The interior is covered with notes of thanks from customers from all around the globe. What a find, I've been twice in 2 days but must leave Bangkok and this diamond mine behind.
Nick H — Google review
I came to try this place just because its near my hotel, but turned out I find one of the best mangoo sticky rice I ever try in Bangkok!! The owner is very nice cause that mangoo sticky rice is just a free food that he gives along with a plate of fresh pineapple when I only order pad thai and tom yum.. Their pad thai is so yum as well..I decide to come back on my last day before I leave Bangkok to have pad thai and mangoo sticky rice again. The price is very cheap as well. Definitely recomended!👍
Mel M — Google review
Chance upon this place and I was in a search of Pad Thai. Love this place! Portion is huge and I’m just thankful for the boss’ hospitality because we pack the omelette and he gave us a rice to go with and condiments. And still gave us 2 bottles of cold mineral water. I definitely will come back here because it’s really home cooked feels. Pad Thai: loads of vegetables + not too sweet Omelette: full of ingredients inside and it’s fluffy Mango sticky rice: fresh mango and warm sticky rice Loving it!
Josephine R — Google review
Hands down the best restaurant in Bangkok!! We ate here every night we were in Bangkok. The food was always delicious and the service even better! The owner was kind and generous every time we were there. Any meal can be made without egg or meat so vegan and vegetarian options are available here. Honestly the best Tom Yum I’ve had in Thailand!! I cannot recommend Pad Thai & Tom Yum 2 enough!
Johanna N — Google review
Hands down the best place you can have a meal in bangkok, the food is amazing, the owner even gave us 3 extra food free of charge, the decoration is phenomenal, the place's wall is decorated with love from all over the world. Can sat enough about how good this place is

Restaurant
Raan Jay Fai, also known as Jae Fai, is a renowned street food eatery located in the old city neighborhood of Saochingcha in Bangkok. This small no-frills shophouse has gained international recognition and even earned a Michelin star for its exceptional dishes. The 400 baht drunken noodles with fresh monster prawns are a highlight, prepared by an experienced auntie who has been serving customers for six decades.
We visited Raan Jay Fai and finally got to try her legendary signature dish, the crab omelet. It was absolutely magical — perfectly fluffy, packed with huge pieces of crab, and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before. Totally worth the reputation it has gained around the world. We also ordered the drunken boat noodles, which were just as impressive. The broth carried a deep, smoky flavor that gave the dish an incredible richness, and the balance of spice and texture made it unforgettable. The atmosphere is lively, the kitchen is open so you can watch Jay Fai at work with her iconic goggles, and the service is straightforward but efficient. Be prepared for a wait, but once you take your first bite, you’ll know it was more than worth it. If you’re in Bangkok and love food, this is an absolute must-visit.
Mdw — Google review
I had the chance to dine at Jay Fai on a Saturday late afternoon and was fortunate not to have waited long for a table. The experience was well worth it. The crab omelette is truly excellent, bursting with generous chunks of crab meat and cooked to perfection. Another highlight is the Tom Yum soup, which is packed with flavour. The first sip comes across as salty, but it quickly evolves into a rich, addictive taste that keeps you going back for more. The service was also commendable. The staff were very polite and approachable, making the meal even more enjoyable. Prices are on the higher side for a Thai hawker, but the quality and experience justify the splurge. Overall, Jay Fai delivers a memorable dining experience with remarkable food and attentive service.
Tiong W — Google review
Jay Fai’s crab omelette is a real must-try! For 1,500 baht, we thnk it is well worth it. It’s 95% filled with plump and juicy crab meat. (We actually tried crab omelette in another restaurant for 1,200 baht and it was practically just omelette with very few pieces of crab meat). We loved Jay Fai’s crab omelette so much that we ordered a second one. Go after lunch to avoid the long queue. We went at around 2:30pm on a Thursday and got a table right away. We also didn’t experience any of the negative reviews we read about in Google. The staff, including Jay Fai’s daughter, were efficient and polite. The place was also clean, especially the toilet. It’s understandable that they don’t allow any photos with Jay Fai. Because if each and every customer will ask for a photo, then she will not be able to cook anymore. 😅 Overall, we highly recommend visiting Jay Fai.❤️

Bucket List item and absolutely did NOT disappoint!!!!! We ordered the Crab Omlette and it was 90+% giant chunks of incredible crab!! It was sooooo good. Also, HUGE! Also, the noodles were the most flavor filled, perfect noodles I've ever eaten... and we eat A Lot! Absolutely worth it! Very clean for a street food experience, but still feels authentic and fun!
Ashley K — Google review
An unforgettable experience at Raan Jay Fai! 🍳🔥 The flavors are bold, authentic, and absolutely worth the hype. Watching Jay Fai cook with such passion and skill is inspiring — truly a legend. The service team is friendly and makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back for another plate of crab omelette and more!
Chin H — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Worth the hype! The famous crab omelette is crispy on the outside, rich and flavorful inside — easily one of the best dishes I’ve tried in Bangkok. You can really taste the quality and effort that goes into every bite. Staff were friendly, and the open kitchen adds a fun energy. Definitely a must-try once in your life! 🦀🔥
Vu N — Google review
Outrageously expensive but definitely some of the best/ fresh produce served on our whole trip Prawns are huge and fresh, just wanted more. Crab omelet was packed full of tender sweet crab 🦀, wrapped in a deep fried egg shell. I think the prawn and thick rice noodles are the star, perfect texture and outstanding wok hei.
Jonathan — Google review
Arrived at around 1330 right after eating pad Thai next door, and the queue was short so me and my friend decided to give it a try, but the queue got longer as time passed. The food required a wait but it was expected. The two of us only ordered the crab omelet and a few beers and it was okay. No look or comment from the friendly staff. The crab omelet was fresh and tasty.

Restaurant
Wattana Panich, located in Ekkemai, Bangkok, is a down-to-earth restaurant known for its old-school dishes like goat stew and beef hot pot. The restaurant has been serving its famous noodle soup for over 40 years and has even been recommended in the Michelin Guide. The aromatic smell of the soup can be detected from a distance along Ekkemai Road.
Another Bangkok Michelin gem quest. This phenomenal stall are located at a quiet road, you can easily notice it by such an iconic view. An eye-catching giant dark pot filled with broth and the lady owner at the front of the stall. The aroma of many herbs hooked on your sense of smell, so fragrant. I ordered their signature beef noodle soup. The taste of the soup so fresh, flavorful and delicious. Boiled for quiet a long time, the sliced beefs, tendons and beef balls were so soft and tender, not much effort to chew. Service was fast, prices quiet high but worth the quality. Highly recommended.
Rbw D — Google review
That pot of soup should have been cooking non stop now for about 45 years. Pretty crowded during lunch hours and seating can be a bit limited on the ground floor, but there’s seating on the 2nd level with air-conditioning. Staff are quite fast to come take your order and as always there’s an English menu. Worth the trip down to try the food.
Teck B — Google review
10/10 Beef noodle soup! Came here looking for a rich tasting beefy noodle soup and it delivered and then some. The flavoursome broth coupled with the tender pieces of beef smacked it out the park!! Will be making this a regular spot to visit on my visits to Bangkok. Service is fast and attentive and nothing to fault at all!
Thai H — Google review
Friendly atmosphere due to its owner and the restaurant staff. Their staff are attentive and nice. The food is delicious. The broth is warm and savory. The beef is soft and tender. The shop has the feel and vibe of a typical go-to restaurant of every local in any Asian city. Definitely worth the popularity.
Chibsmac — Google review
I visited this local-style restaurant and absolutely loved it! Their most popular dishes are No.1 Goat Stew, No.3 Gao-Lao, and No.6 Fine Noodles served with sliced beef, stewed beef, and beef balls — all of them looked amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was just as delicious as you’d expect from a Michelin-recognized place. Even though the weather was hot and the restaurant was warm inside, every bite was so satisfying. It felt like having a bowl of pure nourishment and comfort food. Highly recommended!
Jamie — Google review
Authentic aged old broth with choice of pork beef or lamb. Broth is excellent, tendons excellent. Beef ball not my style thus 4 stars but do try it and perhaps you may like that. No queue when I visit at 6.20pm on 24 Sep though i suspect it low season in BKK, everywhere seems quiet. So reasonably priced.
Elna T — Google review
When I had my first bite of the soup, it was a little salty. After that, I added sugar and it was okay. The seats were very hot. I didn't know there was an air-conditioning room on the second floor. But the meat was so good. The beef was delicious and the ribs were good. It was my second visit and I was satisfied.
이용우 — Google review
The beef noodle was very good, both dried and with soup. The portion was quite small, it’s ok for tourists want to try many dishes on menu. I came here at noon so quite crowded but just waited for 10 minutes. I will recommend my friends to go there and will come back again.

Seafood restaurant
T & K Seafood is a bustling seafood hotspot located in the heart of Bangkok's Chinatown. It attracts hordes of locals and tourists who gather at its corner tables each night to indulge in an array of fresh seafood, including oysters, prawns, crab claws, and whole fish. The energetic wait staff navigate through the traffic to serve up these delectable dishes with enthusiasm.
This was 1 of the 2 original seafood restaurant in Chinatown. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I had the crab fried rice and salted egg squid. One of the owner is amazing and he sat and talked to us for hours. I really enjoy this restaurant
Jimmy L — Google review
The food is amazing. Their tom yum is quite fulfilling with many seafood cuts. The oyster omelette is very crispy and tasty. Orders are quite fast, not too long time which is good. The place has air-conditioning room and outdoor seating.
Selvi P — Google review
Most authentic China Town seafood experience! All the food was delicious. We ordered crab fried rice, papaya salad, fried crab claw and oyster salad. Im happy to report eating raw oysters didn’t mess up my stomach! Seafood was very fresh. We also ordered a large lobster but since it took awhile to prepare we took it with us.
Mcypcarz — Google review
This is a right place for very Thai stir fry kind of dish! Tons of people but they always can find a table for you. Outside seats can feels like a local, inside seats has A/C on. Foods is flavorful! Ingredients are fresh.
Chun ( — Google review
Seafood was very fresh! Prawn was sweet, raw crab salad is creamy and has the usual thai chili sauce. Tight staircase with low height clearance to get up to more seating areas at level 2 and 3.
LKY — Google review
I don’t know how this place got a 4.1 star. I followed the reviews here only to be horribly disappointed. Shells in the stir fried crab w curry sauce (with barely chunks of crab), tasteless friend rice, bland sharks fin broth… avoid, pls. you deserve better seafood all the way in Chinatown Bangkok.
Tan D — Google review
All the thing we ordered were good. The space is narrow but still fine. Located in China Town so it is good to wander around. Price is acceptable
Trương T — Google review
We were walking past and saw lobster on a table and thought, 'yes we want that'. The place was packed and the staff were very quick to find us a table. We ordered seared scallops and the lobster and 2 pints of Chang beer. The staff were amazing and the food was outstanding! This is a must stop if you are in Chinatown in Bangkok!

Lunch restaurant
Tom Yum Goong Banglamphu is a renowned street-food restaurant located in Sri Kraisi, near Khao San Road in Bangkok. This local eatery is famous for its authentic and flavorful tom yum goong, a delicious shrimp delicacy that attracts customers from all over. The stall offers high-quality seafood at affordable prices and has become an institution in the area.
The foods were amazing! I came here because mark wiens recommended it, and i ordered the same foods he had. - River prawn spicy soup or Tom yum goong (THE BEST) - stir fried morning glory with crispy pork - omelette (but i didn't find any oyster in it). It's quite expensive for just omelette. Cost TBH 100 All cost TBH 380 The location is easy to find, inside a market. It's near a small Phra Arthit Port, in walking distance.
Patricia A — Google review
Renowned for it Tom Yum Kung. This shop's taste hasn't changed in twenty years. Been here since I was young. Tom Yum here follows authentic recipes of using traditional tamarind paste and river shrimp tomalley. This is one of the few pastes in Bangkok which is still making Tom Yum as per the original recipe. Other menus are on the average side. The pricing is reasonable. You get three big river prawns in one Tom Yum serving. If you are Tom Yum fans this is one the places I would recommend to you.
Thusnai M — Google review
Very local food restaurant on the roadside. Shaded with wood and plastic sheets, very badic tables and plastic short stools, the young servers are very welcoming in their own way. There is no staff uniform, or fancy stuff, it is just down to basic. The menus is very clear and dishes are shown in photos with description in a couple of languages. Prices are very cheap and the I would rate the food as very basic, and the fishcakes were cold and soaked with oil, but not bad in general. At least, it goes into supporting the local community.
Husain ( — Google review
You have to eat Tom Yum here! We came back after almost 6 years to eat this Tom Yum Soup. I really believe that it is the best Tom Yum in Thailand!! Big shrimps, thick soup! Definitely a place to eat!
Joanna P — Google review
An outdoor restaurant by the street which provide many tables and seats for eat in. Price wise is reasonable. I ordered sautéed vegetables with roasted pork and salted fish kai lan. Both were tasty though the pork skin was very hard, can hardly bite it using my old teeth. Payed 170baht for the 2 v Dishes + a bottled water. Recommended!
Eng L — Google review
The river prawns here are incredible! I got three giant ones in my soup and they were cooked absolutely perfectly and their heads filled with orange goodness!
Rockabell R — Google review
I introduced to this food stall by a fella country friend of mine who has bussiness here. Tom yum kung Banglamphu (original), I thought: every food stall would have claimed that they are the "original" one.. 🤔 BUT this vendor is really deserve to claim that.. Because their tom yum is really the MOST DELICIOUS tom yum that I ever tasted in Thailand nor out of Thailand.. The place is "just" a street vendor under a tent, but the food they provided are 5 stars hotel quality.. The portion are enough for 2-4 people (beside the rice).. The taste, especially the tom yum, is really the BEST.. And other food on the menu as well.. The owner and the staffs are friendly, helpful and proactive.. The place itself already clean enough for street vendor's criteria.. The food are all cooked by the time you order.. Though the location is in tourist area, the price is not tourist price.. As I saw many locals also ate there.. And there is no different price between English menu nor Thai's menu.. Tom yum kung is surely the master piece as it is become their name.. I highly highly recommending this vendor.. 😉
Rina R — Google review
Near Khao San Road, right by the road outside a carpark. Menu is in Thai and English, with pictures for every dish. Yummy and pretty spicy. The Tom yum goong tastes more sour and spicy, lighter than usual. Basil clams were addictive, the spiciness only stays on your tongue. Omelette is fluffy and crispy on the sides. 350 baht for 3 dishes and rice, good portion sizes. It’s always busy but they serve up fast.

Noodle shop
Rung Rueang Pork Noodle (Left Shop) is a popular spot for authentic Thai street food, located near Phrom Phong BTS. Despite its unassuming setting, this family-run business attracts a constant stream of customers eager to savor their delectable noodles. The menu may be limited, offering dry and soup versions of two types of noodles: regular and tom yum flavored. Most patrons opt for the tom yum noodles in either style.
I dropped by this stall around 3:30 PM, just before they were about to close—lucky timing! If you happen to miss it, don’t worry—there’s another stall just across the road next to 7-Eleven with a different vibe. I ordered the dry noodles, and they were cooked perfectly—springy and just the right texture. The meat was fresh, and the fish dumplings are a definite must-try—so tasty! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. The only downside is the traffic—it's quite jammed in the area, so plan accordingly. If you're looking for good noodles and warm service, this stall is a great choice. And if you're in the mood for something different, the one opposite offers a nice change of scenery too.

Very local feel for dining. Their staff can speak basic english so communucation is easy. Food is clearly presented on the menu and has english translation. Staff will show you to a table and take your order. Can choose noodles and portion size. Food is prepared to order and served very fast. Price is cheap. Small portion + drink is less than THB100. Small portion is small enough for moderate eater to order 2 different dishes. Else, it is perfect if you just need a light snack or just want to try. The meat portions are generous and cooked very well. The tomyum is sourish and slightly spicy. Very local taste👍🏼👍🏼😋😋 The fresh orange is the type only found in Thailand (green skin orange).

My favorite and best of my Bangkok trip!!! I had it two days in a row! Go for the thin beehoon, it soaks up the soup perfectly and every bowl is packed with ingredients. Absolutely delicious and something I’ll definitely return for! I ordered Grab delivery, still SO GOOD.

Delicious soup noodle and I personally prefer the soup noodle to the dry noodle. I tried both stores (this one and the sister store across the street with Michelin rating) in 2 consecutive days. Although they serve the same dishes, I personally prefer this store as the soup is hotter and tastes more peppery and their noodles and minced pork are cooked better. Pictures attached are the store I preferred (ie without the Michelin rating).

Very popular place. It’s really hot in the restaurant, plus the soup is served hot. I got the medium noodles but was expecting rice vermicelli. Instead it was sorta a mix between rice vermicelli noodles and glass noodles. Didn’t really like that noodle choice. The broth is flavourful. Expect to leave sweaty.

Cheap and good. Recommend to order the big size if you're hungry if there is, I ordered the medium and the portion is rather small for a guy. If you go during peak hour there will be queue, for context two same store and both have queue. Life hacks go during off peak and immediately walk in. 1 noodle 1 drink 90 baht.

Went to this place before closing n there was no crowd. One of the best local minced pork noodles I’ve tried. Price was right n most importantly the food was great! The place was squeaky clean n staff was attentive. Must try when you are there!
Tadd W — Google review
Came after 1pm and still crowded. This is an excellent and very popular Michelin rated restaurant that serves street food noodles. The noodle was exquisite and tasteful even without soup. Pork balls were cold but yet delicious. The drinks were extremely soothing particularly in this heat and spicy dish (I added myself their homemade chili). Service was fast and obviously efficient. Advice: choose small portion and with soup, particularly if it’s your first venture into Thai street noodle style. If you crave for more, try other noodle and soup type. Like this you can easily try a variety of them. The price is very affordable especially for a restaurant

The restaurant's century-old building and bustling atmosphere add to its charm, attracting both locals and tourists. Despite the cramped and noisy downstairs area where the cooking takes place, patrons keep returning for the exceptional food. This budget-friendly establishment offers fast and delectable Indian dishes without breaking the bank.
I have been customer since more than 10 years ago. After I had been living in Australia for 5 years. I am glad this shop still survives Covid. Yummy and authentic.

💴🍛Pricey, but good. Some might say the dishes are too sweet but for me personally, they are good. *But someday the dishes are really too sweet. they have food, desserts, and drinks. It has indoor and outdoor area. There’s a park across the street from the food place. You can walk by the แม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา after you finish eating. Park your car by the street near the restaurant. Small and old restaurant, but full of stories Recommend restaurant for a sweet tooth 🦷🍛

The soup was delicious and enough for two people, and the salad as well. But the mutabbaq was a bit small. Overall, the food was excellent and the service was excellent. The weather was hot and the air conditioning wasn’t working. The fans were good, but not sufficient. Thank you!

- The beef is not tender at all for both the beef soup and beef thai masaman - Very hard to breath and is very hot inside the restaurant as the air is not circulated well and their air conditioning isn't working - The portion is very small and is expensive - Beef thai masaman is very sweet - Beef soup is tasty.. sour and a little spicy. But the beef is not tender at all

I went anticipating a delicious, hearty meal. Instead, I was greeted with type 2 diabetes on a plate. The food was TOO sweet. I felt like a guzzling down 200 grams of syrup instead of my chicken curry. The portions were also comparable to meals during the WW2 rations on the British home front. I was disappointed, to say the least. Don’t come here if you want your pancreas to still function - this has taken 20 years off of my life. The service was okay, I guess. The waitresses were a bit dull but that’s not very important. I’d give 0 stars if I could. Boooooo

Old Town Cafe in Bangkok, situated near the Grand Palace, offers a serene atmosphere with light jazz music and a welcoming owner. The menu features a variety of drinks, including unique options like the Iced Old Town Muddy and passion fruit iced tea. Nestled in Banglamphu's historical heart, this charming cafe is housed in an old shop house with rustic decor.
Quite a hidden gem run by a super chill, lovely couple. We were walking across the road and saw the sign outside: “No seating, stand only bar.” I was like, cool, I’ve never seen a cafe with no seating inside, so let’s go in. I noticed that a lot of local people in Southeast Asia use the front space of their homes to run small businesses. I guess that’s why they don’t usually offer restrooms for customers. People live, work, and pour their lives into it. As visitors/foreigners, we should always respect their culture. It’s pretty common here, so it’s not a big deal for me. They’ve got tons of cool vintage stuff, but the space doesn’t feel packed at all — you can just feel how much they love coffee and how much heart they’ve put into the place. The lighting inside is soft and hazy, giving this cute little cafe an even more retro and special vibe. The coffee tastes really good. This is the kind of place where I don’t need to touch my phone — just enjoy the drinks, the music, and be present in the moment, away from the chaos of this huge city. The owners aren’t trying to market their cafe as some trendy Instagram spot; they’re pretty chill about it, and that’s what makes this place even more unique to me. I totally get why they put up the no-photo sign. We chatted for a few minutes and already felt a connection. They were super friendly and helpful. They even gave us a list of local places to eat, and the coconut ice cream shop they recommended was awesome. Definitely want to visit them again next time I’m in Bangkok.

What a lovely cafe, the owners are the nicest people ever. We fancied a quick drink and a bite to eat and couldn’t have chosen a nicer spot. Ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk, a salted caramel iced cocoa and 2 chicken baguettes - all of which were absolutely delicious, everything was spot on! We will definitely come back here and we recommend it to anyone who wants a proper coffee and bite to eat, you can tell they put a lot of care into everything they do here. Had a really pleasant time - not to mention it was also very affordable!

You definitely need to stop here if you are in Bangkok. The place is incredible and the staff is so friendly, i ordered a sandwich and ate it at the bar. Great experience ✨ I know, you can't take photos inside, but they've allowed me to 😝

Visited here twice during our visit to Bangkok. Drinks were excellent, coffee was prepared to very high standard. Both cappuccino and lattes were made to perfection with very high quality tasting coffee. Orange iced tea and orange espresso were also delicious. Asian styled baguettes were very very good, we had to come back! Cinnamon roll also delicious and served warm. Decoration is also beautiful, amazing collection of vintage decorations which add to the relaxing atmosphere. Smooth jazz music completes the experience. It's a very classy and relaxing place to chill from the busyness of Bangkok. The owners are very friendly and fun to talk to and gave us great recommendations for other restaurants and cafes to check out. Definitely go out of your way to have a drink and some food here it's well worth it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I don't drink coffee, but they had a fantastic chai tea late! The whole place is an experience, the staff are super friendly and you can see every cup is made with care and love! Absolutely worth a visit! Great jazz music playing in the background! It's not just the drink its the whole experience!

Lovely local coffee shop owned by lovely couple. Atmosphere of the shop are unique and make you feel like the old time of Bangkok. Even the scenery of old town but they served modern coffee taste and others. Their drinks menu are really good and varieties. Coffee, Tea and other are created with good ingredients made them taste good. Asian sandwich are really good too, please try ! They do not have seating area, only standing bar for you. Air conditioned are available. Cash only. You will love this shop !

No photo policy inside, so sorry no photos. The place is lovely and the owner is nice. We chatted about photography a little bit. It's a standing cafe, no seats. The coffee was great and properly brewed. Not in old fashioned way, but with a modern machine. A good cup of coffee is guaranteed. Kind of a new bohemian atmosphere.

Porridge restaurant
Restaurant
Thai restaurant
Jok Prince, located in the Charoen Krung area, is a renowned establishment known for its delectable jok (rice porridge). The restaurant's specialty lies in its slightly smoky-flavored porridge, achieved by delicately burning the rice. Served with pork meatballs and an optional raw egg that can be mixed into the thick broth, this savory congee is garnished with coriander, ginger, and spring onion.
Hearty yet light breakfast- this spot serves Cantonese style porridge that tastes homey and delicious. The porridge is very easy to eat and appeals to all age. Pork meatball was juicy and tasty.
Sarah L — Google review
Smooth Cantonese porridge with a unique burnt taste. As a true blue cantonese, this taste may not be acquired to your taste bud. However, the consistency is gluey and less grainy. They have improvised to their local taste. Street food with an old school experience. There is a reason for their multiple awards recommendations, including Michelin.
Sean P — Google review
I do have a love and hate relationship with this place. I have been here a number of times and everytime the waiting time just gets longer and longer. Visited on a weekend morning waited about 40 minutes to get a table. My usual is to always order item number 10 which is everything in the porridge. I am particularly not a fan of the porridge because I don't really like the burnt taste in the porridge. It's something so unique I don't get it anywhere but here. However the thing that always makes me go back has to be the meatball. They really make very good meatballs and are so big its just so satisfying eating them. I always call them the fist sized balls, not that big but might just get there one day. They do sell the Thai cute patongo which is the mini fritters but its quite expensive. You can actually get it cheaper by the stall outside the shop and also they give a sweet dip where you can add to the porridge extra texture and flavours and also have it like a dessert with the coconut dip. I recommend giving it a try but I have friends who are also kinda having a dislike for the burnt taste. I seriously don't know maybe it's the X factor which is giving it the Michelin status it is today.

Returned 3 days later n had century egg this time... Even nicer 👍 👍 👍 ---+ Nice n silky porridge. They have options of choosing eggs, century egg and offals. Crowded with locals, and also tourist. Next to the shop sell Chinese fried doughstick (youtiao) and goes very well with the porridge. Opens at 6am and 3pm. The closing time for the 2 sessions end once the food is sold out.

Another Bangkok Michelin gem quest. The atmosphere was so full and crowded. Best congee for breakfast I've ever taste so far in town. As I was avoiding organ and offal parts, I only ordered simple pork congee with eggs. There's a smoky aroma of the bowl, fragrant, combined with tasty minced pork balls, soft boiled egg and century egg. Don't forget to add some patongos for side dish, crunchy. So delicious that I have to hold myself for not ordering more because it was just a breakfast and was still early in the morning. Lady owner was so friendly and attentive to customers. Satisfactory portion and affordable price too. Definitely will visit again.

Finally got to try the Michelin Gourmand Jok Prince porridge. Ordered the pork porridge with century egg and soft-boiled egg for 90THB. The porridge had a distinct smoky, charred flavor, while the meatballs were firm and delicious. Truly worth the hype!
Lionel — Google review
I ordered #5 which is pretty much everything. The congee is smooth and silky. Ingredients are generous and portion size is surprisingly filling. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the burnt taste of the congee but I know some prefer it. I don’t mind it but would have been even better if it didn’t have the burnt taste. A bit confusing at first. There are people standing outside, seemingly lining up but I found out it was for another shop or just waiting for takeout. You have to check by looking inside to see if there is an open table. I came at 8am so just beat the rush.. Service was great. There were some rude customers but they dealt them with a smile. I probably would do the opposite. Congee and chrysanthemum drink was 105 baht. So worth it. And they even chased me down for the change which was really for a tip.

If you're wandering through the vibrant streets of Chinatown in Bangkok, make sure to stop by Ann Guay Tiew Kua Gai, a gem highlighted in the 2023 Michelin Street Food Guide. This charming eatery specializes in kuay teaw, or fried noodles, which are expertly cooked with egg and a delightful mix of chicken, ham, shrimp, and squid.
Hidden (but very delicious) little noodle shop. Interior is very unassuming for a past Michelin-rated restaurant – casual, "quick" feel with metal seating and condiments at the tables. Absolutely LOVED the pan fried noodles, the char and flavor was great. The soupy noodle dishes were also great – even though it's HOT outside, the interior is nicely air conditioned, so eating a hot bowl of soup is no problem. Paired with our refreshing drinks, this was such a pleasant spot to have found on Google maps while we were traveling here.

One of the most famous authentic Thai restaurants, that specializes in noodle soup and pan fried noodles. It was also recognized by Michelin 6 years on a row, from 2018 to 2023. We shared here a lunch and ordered the chicken noodle soup and the pan fried noodles with pork and runny egg. The soup was our favorite - absolutely delicious, very hearty with deep flavors of chicken stock. The pan fried noodles were also delicious, but obviously had a strong oily flavor from its frying.

We had already planned to try this restaurant, and since it was about 1.5 km from our hotel, we decided to walk and explore the area along the way. When we arrived, we were a bit surprised by an odd smell inside the restaurant—but we assumed it might be from the dishes being prepared. We ordered the same menu with different toppings. The presentation was quite unique, so we were excited to dig in. But the flavor? Honestly, very bland. The toppings helped a little, but it wasn’t enough. The real shocker was the soup—it tasted weirdly chemical. No wonder someone in the reviews said it reminded them of dishwasher soap. 😂 That’s when we realized: the strange smell in the restaurant was actually coming from the broth. And to top it off, when we paid, we noticed the dish they served wasn’t even what we ordered. Haha—oh well. Pretty sure we won’t be coming back. Once is enough 😊👌🏻

A famous local eatery in Bangkok, awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand for six consecutive years (2018–2023). I tried their signature Fried Noodles with Chicken, Ham, Squid, Shrimp, and Runny Egg — the noodles were perfectly fried, crispy, and full of flavor. Some might find it a bit oily, but I personally love it that way! All the ingredients were fresh, and it’s definitely a place I’ll visit again the next time I’m in Bangkok.

Absolutely delicious! I had the deep-fried wontons and the fried noodles with chicken, bacon, and a runny egg — easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Thailand. The flavors were incredible, perfectly balanced between smoky, crispy, and savory. The noodles were fried just right, with that slightly charred “wok hei” taste, and the runny egg tied everything together beautifully. The wontons were golden and crunchy — pure comfort food. The staff were also very kind, I’ll definitely be coming back!
Saachi D — Google review
Best fried flat rice noodle i’ve tried! Crispy outside and chewy insides, running egg adds creamy texture. Multiple choice of proteins. Definitely recommended!
LKY — Google review
Absolutely the best Guay Tiew Kua Gai (stir-fried chicken noodles) I’ve ever had! I usually skip this dish because it’s often too oily, but here it’s done perfectly — flavorful and not greasy at all. The classic stirred fried-chicken version is unbeatable. Other meat options are just okay, but the preserved lime soup is also surprisingly tasty. 😋 Fried wontons are great, and the fried chicken skin is super popular — gone fast (though I’m not a fan). Everything gets even better with a root beer. Sometimes, quality can vary a bit during peak hours depending on who’s cooking, but it’s still delicious. Go early — the place fills up quickly with both locals and tourists.

The Boat Noodle Shop Doy Kuay Teow Reua is a restaurant specialising in boat noodles. The open-air dining area features plastic tables and chairs, with seating available outdoors in a small canal-side boat. The owner prepares noodle soup from behind an actual longboat, paying homage to the origins of this popular dish.
This was the last of the three boat noodles restaurants I tried in Bangkok. Wow. I never expected such tasty boat noodles. They really blew me away. Very underrated! They gave us a large bottle of cold sugar cane water as soon as we sat down. Wow. Simply wow. I am no food critique, I’m just someone who loves eating, so I cannot (and don’t know how to) go into the details as to how this was the perfect sugar cane juice. I’m sure you can find this somewhere in Hong Kong (but for a way more expensive price), but I certainly wasn’t expecting this. When you come, please be sure to order a bottle of sugar cane water if they didn’t already give you a bottle. We ordered the small bowls so that we could have a taste of all of the different flavors. I don’t think there was a specific standout favor to me. All were perfect. I highly recommend the flat noodles and egg noodles. Despite this being bait noodles, the soup tasted very sophisticated. There was a taste twist in the soup, and I found that simply amazing. I sincerely urge you to come and try yourself! Insane value for money too. I seriously don’t know how they manage to keep this place running by charging only ฿15 for every bowl of small boat noodles. Simply mind-blowing. Other-worldly type of tasty food. This is THE place to visit for boat noodles. Cannot recommend them enough!

Food was not bad, but hard to find the location. Grab driver said that the grab location was wrong as there are only hospitals there. Best to put the Thai wordings when booking Grab. Clear soup and Boat Noodle soup tasted the best. Beware that if you don't eat liver, there's always a slice inside the bowl. Place has fan, but still really warm and its right beside a river (more like a drainage).
SP C — Google review
This place feels very local. You can tell from the location and the people who come here, mostly students and folks living nearby. The food is boat noodles with different flavors like tom yum and namtok, just like other boat noodle spots, but the taste here is stronger and spicier. I recommend going for the mild level if you don’t eat spicy. Each bowl is only 15 baht and the portion is not too small. Definitely better than many other boat noodle places. The service is also great, we went there when the restaurant was about to be closed but can still order and they did’t pressure us to leave early.

Visited in August 2024 Massive open air restaurant on the edge of a river. We were the first to arrive about 9am, ā little sceptic because there was until people started arriving for their breakfast orders. We had the most delicious soup broth with great condiments. The staff were lovely. We couldn't really understand each other but we got by. My daughter who was six at the time talks about boat noodles often. It was a fond memory for her. Highly recommend.

Kop khun khrap 🗣️ We came from Germany and had HIGH expectations as we got blown away ! 15 Baht for a small bowl of delicious noodles in the best broth we have ever tasted. Located in a very welcoming, inviting looking place, where your food gets prepared on a traditional boat and the whole story began. The King of the Table felt like Po from Kung Fu Panda after finishing his tenth bowl of that deliciousness. Remember what Master Oogwey said : “Yesterday was history, tomorrow is a mistery, but today is a Gift. That’s why it’s called present.” Our holy Gift on that day were those bowls of noodles ! I tried the flat noodles with pork in boat noodle soup which had a slightly spicy, flavourful broth, though the pork was a bit questionable. I also had the small noodles with beef and dried noodles. The beef was much better and I enjoyed the balance of the sauce's slight sweetness and spiciness. Each small bowl was 15 baht so you can try different combinations. The service was no nonsense and efficient.

Phed Mark is a popular restaurant located at 928 Sukhumvit Road, Phra Khanong, Khlong Toei, Bangkok. It is known for its stir-fried holy basil (pad kaprao) available at various spice levels. The prices range from 119-269 THB / 3.30-7.35 USD depending on the choice of protein.
If you like fried eggs with runny yolk, you will love this! Get more eggs, you wont regret. More expensive but portion is bigger than usual Thai portion. I will say the price is reasonable. Chicken was thinly sliced, lacked flavour, but was great after adding fish sauce. Pork was fantastic, bits of fat adding flavour. Beef was dry, get the pork instead. Level 2 seating is much cooler, because level 1 main door is always open for the ordering queue.
Samantha P — Google review
Since I was in Bangkok, I thought I should try out Mark Wiens’ restaurant, specifically the Beef Kra Pao, level 5. it was hard to find via Grab. The place itself is quite small but good enough to accommodate a decent number of curious food lovers. They also have an upstairs area if the ground floor is full. It was jam packed when I arrived, with lots of foreigners queuing up. When I ordered mine, the food came within minutes. At first glance, the dish looked well presented and appeared to have more beef than rice. However, once I started eating, I was fairly disappointed. The beef was dry, and the rice portion was quite small. I’d recommend sticking with level 3! After about four spoonfuls, the heat really kicked in. As for the flavour, it was just okay, nothing special or memorable, mainly because the beef was too dry. By the way, they don’t have their own bathroom. So, my honest opinion: the food wasn’t that great
Kristian M — Google review
The best Pad Kra Pao I’ve had, ever. The level 4 spicy was a decent level of spice, not unmanageable in the slightest, next time I’ll try 5. It’s not a gimmicky “blow your socks off spice” that some YouTuber owned restaurants do. This place actually feels like they’re trying to serve you really amazing food without the frills of it being owned obviously by Mark Wiens. It’s genuinely great food at good prices, and the portion sizes are huge! All in all, this place deserves its 5/5 rating, truly. Can’t wait to go back
Curtis B — Google review
I’d heard so much about how good Mark Wiens’ restaurant was, and I can say it absolutely lived up to the hype! I had the Thai basil chicken rice, spice level 3 (it goes up to 5), and it was so good. I’d 101% recommend it to anyone who loves spicy food 🔥 The flavour of the basil was hitting just right. I needed a Coke Zero to balance out that kick of spice haha, but you might not. The place itself is small and there was a bit of a queue when I visited, but the service was quick and efficient. I’m definitely coming back here for more next time I’m in town.
Amisha A — Google review
Like Mark himself would say: ‘Wow!’ I ordered the chicken and beef, level 4 spicy and it was SPICY 🥵but really good! I preferred the chicken over the beef and they either forgot to bring half of the order or the beef took longer than the chicken to prepare, so had to ask where the rest of the order was. If you’re a party of multiple people, it would be nice to receive your order in 1 go. Other than that, definitely recommend!
Loraine R — Google review
The Pad Krapow at Phed Mark is absolutely delicious! 🌶️🔥 Even though there are lots of foreign tourists, the flavor is still 100% authentic Thai spicy, fragrant, and perfectly balanced. Tastes amazing with hot rice! 😍 The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is lively but not too crowded. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to try real Thai-style Pad Krapow! 🇹🇭

I got the vegetarian* spice level 5 - it wasn't nearly as spicy as I thought it would be but I did wish I had water because of the chillies. The dish itself wasn't spicy - it was the red chillies in it that were spicy. I wouldn't say it's the most delicious food I've had in Thailand but definitely the spiciest, yet. Got there at 1pm (Thursday) and was seated upstairs right after ordering. Got my food in about 10 minutes. Staff was really nice. Happy to try it once, wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to have it again. *Not sure if it's actually "vegetarian" since I think they use fish sauce in the food but I didn't ask because I didn't want to find out. Check before you order.

Passed by many times and finally made it in today! Located very near the BTS Ekkamai station this place generally has a big line during meal times, but we made it in off peak so no wait whatsoever! Ordered the standard chicken version & of course with the fried duck eggs and it all came out quick, hot and delicious! Food taste, quality and quantity for the price and location are an absolute deal and great meal fix in a jam! Restaurant
Khao Kha Moo Sai Tua Jae Ta is a popular Thai dish featuring braised pork leg served on top of white rice, often accompanied by vegetables. The meat should be tender with the right fat to meat ratio and infused with a flavorful braised sauce. This dish can be found at various street food stalls in Thailand, offering different toppings such as eggs, tofu, peanuts, and intestines.
Tried one of the best braised pork legs/knuckles in Bangkok! The broth was spot-on — just the right thickness, not too runny or heavy. It also wasn’t sweet like most Kha Moo places. Sampled everything: knuckles, meat, skin, intestines, and their special tofu. They even add peanuts to the broth, which gave it a nice twist. It’s not possible to request for no peanuts, so if you’re allergic, this place is not for you. Limited seating.
B J — Google review
A famous braised pork leg rice restaurant has a unique signature—adding peanuts to the broth, giving it a rich, savory flavor. The pork is tender, the tofu is fragrant and firm, and the rice is soft and perfectly cooked. Overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy a satisfying meal. The restaurant has recently moved again and is now located across from the Chinese shrine. Prices start at 60 baht. Seating is limited, but there’s usually no long queue. Come give it a try!

One of the best khao ka moo that's without Michelin recommendation. Small little restaurant with limited seating specializing in only one food. Cheap and good.

I got the pork leg with egg and rice. The stewed pork fell apart and tasted good. A good option close to Yarowat Road which shouldn't be as busy as the road itself.

Good taste, nothing special. portion is enough to eat street food after. Some pieces of meat were tough and dry. the intestines were delicious. Rice was dry so soak it in the gravy to soften it.

The pork leg here is really good! The taste and softness of the pork leg is well done. They seemed to have moved to infront the temple down the road. Please take note when coming here!

Pork Trotters with peanuts here is located on Charoenkrung area. It is walkable from MRT Mangkon (Dragon) Station. The place has been around for sometime and it is known for pork trotters with peanuts. The soup is flavourful and the peanuts does add a good taste to it without being too salty. Delicate, soft and tender meat. Soft boiled eggs and pork intestine are worth a try as well. Prompt service. Reasnonale price. Closing time can be between from 3pm til 5pm, depending on how fast they sold out.

Khao Kha Moo Sai Tua Jae Ta (A stall in Chinatown, 1 min walk from MRT Wat Mangkon) Ordered a Pork Leg & Pork Intestines with Rice. OMG! The pork leg is so fatty and full of collagen. The intestine were well clean, no porky smell at all. The sauce over the rice is perfect, neither to salty or bland. Tips: must add their chilli sauce, so damn shiok!

The service at the stalls offering Khanom Bueang Phraeng Nara is known to be excellent, adding to the overall experience of enjoying this delicious treat.
The Best Khanim Bueang I have ever tasted. The crust is so thin and crispy and it's So fresh. I had both the savory & the sweet one. Taste Great. Blue Elephant Cooking School & Restaurant Bangkok offers traditional royal Thai cuisine in a colonial-style setting. The restaurant is part of a global brand, with the Bangkok branch being one of the most famous and prestigious locations. It has been open since 2002 and is housed in an elegant early 1900s colonial building. In addition to its renowned food, the restaurant also features a cooking school where visitors can learn authentic royal Thai recipes.
It was my brightest experience in the trip to Bangkok. I attended a whole day private cooking class in Thai cuisine. A broad range of famous Thai dishes were explained in detail and I cooked them together with the teacher. Now I understand the dishes much better and can do them at home. During the break, the school served very substantial and delicious lunch. The school is well equipped with everything necessary for cooking. Everyone is polite and kind!

We went there for dinner. All the staffs there were amazing, they are so friendly and patience. We can’t decide what to order at first and they offered digital picture menu, which was very helpful. Love the atmosphere, there are many fresh flower arrangements and candle on every table. Over all the food is outstanding. Especially love the coconut soup and the appetizers. Overall, very good place for seafood in Bangkok. Prices are a little expensive when you get live crabs or prawns, but understandable due to the location. The service is amazing and the place is huge, so it’s fairly easy to find a table even in rush hour. Only thing we didn’t like was how loud a lot of tables were. Very noisy place so not the best to enjoy your seafood calmly, which is what we wanted. But great taste and great product!

The restaurant is very famous for ages as crabs curry by the menu. Food: The all food that we were ordered by set dinner menu with top one. We had big crabs 🦀 as famous one showing there including another seafood thing that we order. Especially the shrimp 🍤 really Touchable and fride fish really nice and good tast. However some of us is local the tast is less and match with foreign instead. The ingredients is fresh cannot complain. Service: Good and really attention in detail after ordered. Drinks and other is simple not wow. Location: Good one and easy going by public transport.

This restaurant outlet is Michelin selected and was the first lunch of our trip as it was very close to our hotel. I had my favourite yellow curry stir fried crab again and the rendition here was superb, possibly the best I had in Thailand so far and it goes so well with rice that I probably mopped up more sauce, gravy and rice than I should have. There were many tourists from China and Korea at this rather busy restaurant branch. The scallops with asparagus were okay but both the curry crab and salt and pepper prawns were very delicious. The fried fish was quite tasty as well but I can’t remember the exact flavour we ordered. On hindsight, we should have ordered the crab meat version of the curry so I did not have to peel the crab and I’m sure it would be just as good. This was a very enjoyable meal and I will on the search to see if there are better versions of yellow curry crab elsewhere.

A well-known restaurant with many Michelin stars. This inflates expectations from the quality and taste of food, but in reality: crab curry floats in oil and very little crab meat, steamed vegetables turned out to be tough and tasteless, and fish in black pepper sauce turned out to be without sauce🤷🏻‍♀️ The service is pleasant and very fast. There is no parking.

DELICIOUS. My son and I shared the Ferrero toast — and man. The “baby” size was enough for us both after a full lunch, and it was yum down to the last bite. The tall toast was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a surprising bit of melted butter down by the bottom that completes the taste profile and complements the Ferrero + peanuts surprisingly well. When it comes to exceptional tom yum soup in Bangkok, Pe Aor is a must-visit. The owner has adjusted the recipe to cater more to tourists, making it slightly sweeter and less spicy than before. Despite this change, the restaurant remains popular among locals and visitors alike, always bustling with hungry customers. With over 20 variations of tom yum soup featuring an array of seafood such as mussels, prawns, lobster, and squid, Pe Aor offers something for every palate.

If you want a true taste of Bangkok’s food scene—where flavor always comes before fancy plating—Pee Aor is the spot. Tucked in a humble side street near the Phaya Thai area, this no-frills eatery perfectly captures the heart and soul of authentic Thai cuisine: bold, balanced, and unforgettable. What makes Pee Aor stand out is its famous Tom Yum Goong noodles—a steaming bowl of creamy, tangy perfection loaded with shrimp, lemongrass, lime, and just the right kick of chili. Each spoonful hits that classic Thai harmony of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy that locals crave and visitors remember long after. You can even level it up with lobster or seafood if you’re feeling indulgent. The place itself? Think wooden tables, simple chairs, and the steady buzz of Bangkok chatter—exactly how real Thai food should be enjoyed. Don’t expect air-conditioning or fine dining service; instead, expect heart, heat, and pure flavor. Vibe: Authentic street-side charm, busy but friendly Must-try: Tom Yum Goong with shrimp or lobster Price: Affordable—great value for the quality and portions Overall: 9/10 — A Bangkok food experience you shouldn’t miss. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why Bangkok is the street food capital of the world: unpretentious, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable.

I stumbled upon this place by chance, drawn in by the big lobster sign—and I’m so glad I did. I instantly fell in love with their tom yum. The restaurant wasn’t crowded when I visited, which made the experience calm and relaxing. The soup was definitely the star—bold, tangy, and perfectly balanced with fresh seafood. It’s one of those meals that sticks with you. I’d definitely come back the next time I’m in Thailand.

My favorite tom yum!!! Out of all the tom yum I’ve tried in Thailand, this one is my favorite. The taste is just perfect, the toppings are generous, and although the portion isn’t that big, the price is very affordable. I love it so much—definitely coming back here for tom yum the next time I visit Thailand!

I finally tried Pe Aor Tom Yum, and wow, this is easily one of the best, authentic Tom Yums I’ve tasted! The soup is bursting with flavor! Its sour, savory, and super refreshing. Plus, the seafood is fresh and comforting. Affordable and the staff were super welcoming and quick!

Pe Aor is known for their Tom Yum Goong noodles, and it definitely lived up to the hype! We had the prawn, fish & egg bowl and the prawn, fish, mussel & squid bowl—both rich, flavorful, and perfect for a late-night bite. We also tried the crab spring rolls (so good!) and of course, a Thai iced tea—you can never go wrong with that. The guava juice wasn’t our favorite, but everything else hit the spot. Portions weren’t huge, but just right for something satisfying without being too heavy. Loved the cozy vibe inside, and we went around 8 PM with no line at all. Affordable and totally worth a visit!

Dessert shop
Dessert restaurant
Mae Varee Mango Sticky Rice, a renowned shop in Thonglor, Bangkok, has gained popularity among the affluent Sukhumvit community for its delectable mango sticky rice. The venue offers an array of flavors for this traditional Thai dessert, such as butterfly pea, turmeric, pandan, and green tea. While it operates solely as a takeaway establishment, its reputation makes it well worth the visit to indulge in Thailand's unofficial national sweet treat.
The sticky rice smell goods and coconut sauce is delicious and the texture is just right, not too thick.the price is 160 bht/box I tried tradisional dessert which wrapped banana leaf and contains 2 options, sweet ( slice coconut and peanut ) or salt ( I though beef and vegetable, little spicy ). These dessert were delicious and cheap, only 15 baht/pcs

We kept hearing about this mango sticky rice and had to see what the hype was all about — and now we completely understand why it’s so popular! The mango was perfectly ripe, super sweet, and bursting with flavor — honestly the best we’ve had anywhere so far. You can really tell they use premium-quality fruit. It is a bit on the pricey side compared to street stalls, but the quality more than makes up for it. The sticky rice was soft and well-cooked, just like you'd expect from a good mango sticky rice dish. What stood out the most was the coconut milk — rich, creamy, and the perfect complement to the mango and rice. Portion size was decent, presentation was nice, and the staff were friendly too. Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re looking to treat yourself to a really good version of this Thai classic. Definitely a must-try if you're in Bangkok — especially if you're a mango lover!

If you’re in the Thonglor area, you’ll definitely spot people walking around with Mae Varee mango bags — they’re everywhere 😆 This place is super popular among tourists. There were even Grab delivery drivers lined up to pick up mango orders I got the mango jelly, dried mango, and mango sticky rice. The mangoes are consistently sweet, fresh, and high quality — it’s hard to go wrong here. 💸 Yes, it’s pricey, and that’s the only reason I’m giving it 4 out of 5. But if you want the best mangoes in Bangkok, this is still the place to go.
Yesran — Google review
The best mango sticky rice in bangkok! Price is reasonable and decent portion too. Mango is juicy and sweet, the sticky rice is fragrant and the sauce is thick and a little bland. So, in my case, i prefer to eat the mango just with the sticky rice w/o the coconut sauce.
Jahya T — Google review
Recommend by my Thai fren and I would say it was one of the best mango sticky rice I have eaten. The mango is so sweet! Thought would be nice if there are seats to dine in to eat it while it’s still warm as it only allowed takeaway.

Mae Varee mango sticky rice was the best sticky rice we had so far. It was warm for the coconut milk and refreshing cold, sweet and soft for the mango. They have also some banana dessert it was good too. Very recommended to everyone that wanted to come to Bangkok.

Extremely delicious mango sticky rice, super fresh and the piece of mango included is more like an entire mango. Highly recommend this place.

I heard their mango sticky rice is delicious, so I went there. It's located very close to Thonglor station. I think they only offer takeout. I had it after returning to the hotel, and it was absolutely delicious. This will be a must-visit restaurant when I visit Bangkok from now on!

Polo Fried Chicken (Soi Polo) is a renowned spot in Bangkok known for its exceptional deep-fried chicken. Despite the simple decor of Formica tables and metal stools, this establishment has been a favorite for many years. The fried chicken, available in half or whole portions, is considered one of the best in the city. It's often paired with flavorful som tam papaya salads or nam tok gai tawt spicy chicken salad.
This was so good that afterwards I went into the 7-eleven and bought cigarettes. I sat in the gutter and smoked durries contemplating life, the universe and every other chicken I’ve ever eaten during my journey on this earth. This was one of the greatest chicken feeds I have ever had.
Laundry E — Google review
I came here with high expectations since many people recommended Polo Fried Chicken as a must-try spot, but honestly, I left disappointed. The fried chicken, which should be the highlight, didn’t live up to its reputation. It was dry, not served hot, and visually unappealing—more like something from a random street stall than a famous restaurant. The dipping sauces were also a letdown: one overly salty, the other far too sweet. What made it worse was the inconsistency. my portion looked very different compared to what a friend had on another visit at another branch in mall. Other dishes were average at best. The pork neck was decent but forgettable, and again, the sauce didn’t pair well. The catfish salad was lacking in actual fish meat, making it feel incomplete. The only dish I genuinely enjoyed was the larb moo, which was balanced and flavorful. On top of that, they only accept cash, which is inconvenient. Overall, in my experience, Polo Fried Chicken didn’t live up to the hype. I wish the restaurant will improve a better fried chicken and be more consistent in cooking.
Namm C — Google review
Great food, not pretentious, just some yummy local dishes. The chicken although delicious, to be honest, nothing really special. I’ve tasted even better fried chicken from somewhere. Without the fried garlic (and onions), it’s a regular fried chicken. Better than KFC though. Overall, I’d come back here for some local dishes whenever I’m near the area. But maybe not to drive here just for the food. You’ll find the same quality and taste anywhere around Bangkok. Oh, it’s CASH only!!!
Mayorosaldoong — Google review
I don't understand the hype. To me, it's just a normal chicken dish with fried onions. Yes, the papaya salad was noticeably fresh, but it wasn't a highlight in terms of taste. If you still want to go, you'll have to pay in cash. The atmosphere is very 80s. The owner should offer something special in the future. I wish him every success.
Martin S — Google review
Polo Fried Chicken used to be one of my favorite spots, but this time it was a bit disappointing. We ordered their signature fried chicken, it came out cold and a bit dry, not like before. The chicken larb was good though, so that kinda made up for it. Honestly, I think their service could use some improvement. Most of the servers seemed really grumpy and it felt a bit uncomfortable, though the owner was nice and friendly.
Nafisa K — Google review
I have been in Thailand for many years and I have heard so much about Polo fried chicken but haven't had the chance to try it yet. I even have some foreigner friends asking me why I haven't tried it despite staying in Thailand for so many years. This time I finally decided to drive over to try this legendary fried chicken. There is a parking lot very near to the restaurant, but looks like limited space. But the staffs are are very willing to help. And if you are dining there, parking will be free. Ordered a few dishes including, of course, their legendary fried chicken. Grill pork neck was very well seasoned and grilled perfectly. Its very flavorful. Spicy pork soup was quite intense. It was slightly too spicy for me. But to be honest, if this dish was not spicy, then it won't taste good. So yea, I definitely love this dish. The fall off the bone meat was super tasty. Ordered 2 types of papaya salad. They were really good. Fried curry fish cake (forgot to take photos). This was always my all time favorite snacks in Thailand. But their version was the worst I ever tasted. It was swimming in oil when they served it. We had to use tissue to pat them dry. There are no flavors at all and this looks like it was done in a rush. I absolutely hated this dish. Now the fried chicken. We ordered half chicken and it was served with lots of deep fried crispy garlic on top. I love my fried chicken with lots of crispy garlic! Thankfully, it was not dripping in oil. To be honest, I feel that the chicken was overcooked and too dry for my liking, much too dry. However the skin was very flavorful, nice and crunchy. Overall, I wouldn't say this is the best fried chicken in Thailand, but one of the better ones, just not great.

If you are looking for an authentic Thai Fried Chicken, you’re coming to the right place. Polo Fried Chicken is the OG of the fried chicken. They established longer than 40 years. Nestled in the vibrant streets of Silom, Hai Som Tam Convent is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Isaan cuisine. This beloved eatery serves up traditional dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The star of the show is undoubtedly their Som Tam, or green papaya salad, which combines fresh ingredients like shredded papaya, tomatoes, and crunchy peanuts with a perfect blend of sweet and spicy flavors.
This is my favorite Esan and Thai restaurants in Bangkok. The papaya salad (somtum) is always great and they have riceberry sticky rice as well as the normal white. I usually have the pork salad with chilli's and basil but tonight I'm having the sliced pork neck and it is so tender delicious. Thai food at its best. Great location as well, right in Silom center and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I visited here since I was young. This place is a northeastern cuisine which is adapted to suit Bangkok people and international travelers. Definitely Somtum (papaya salad) is a must have, then I recommend the larb pladook (catfish salad with Thai herbs), grilled chicken is a balance of soft, tender, and not too greasy. Corn salad with salted eggs is fantastic too! No parking at the restaurant but you need to park at either Park Silom or Liberty Builiding.

The food was delicious and the staff were lovely — great service. However, the atmosphere was not enjoyable because some customers didn’t control their children. They were running around and making loud noises inside the restaurant, which was quite annoying. Other than that, everything else was good.

Nhong Rim Klong is a popular Bangkok street food restaurant located next to a smelly canal. Despite its unassuming appearance, this eatery is known for serving high-quality seafood at reasonable prices. The kitchen operates on top of a bridge while diners enjoy their meals at tables along the canal. The portions are generous, and the staff is helpful in guiding customers through the menu. One standout dish is the creamy crab meat omelette, although some find it slightly salty.
If you can’t be bothered to queue up for Jay Fai, Nhong Rim Klong is a fantastic alternative. Big portion sizes. We definitely over-ordered for just the two of us! The crab dishes are seriously generous, packed with chunks of sweet, juicy crab meat. Great flavours, no fuss, and way less waiting time. Definitely worth checking out if you’re craving seafood in Bangkok.
Nor A — Google review
Visited Nhong Rim Klong today around 12 PM with a group of four. We ordered a variety of dishes including fried rice with shrimp, Tom Yum fried rice, mantis shrimp meat, crab with egg, and a crab egg omelette. The fried rice had great wok hei (smoky aroma), which really elevated the flavor. The Tom Yum soup was a nice surprise—it wasn’t spicy at all, which worked perfectly for me since I usually avoid spicy food. It had a nice balance of flavors without being overwhelming. My personal favorite was the mantis shrimp meat and crab with egg—both were fresh and full of flavor. The crab meat omelette had a generous amount of crab, although it might have been a bit overcooked as it wasn't as juicy inside. Still enjoyable though. What stood out most, besides the food, was the friendly and attentive service. The boss and staff were very welcoming and kept checking in to see if we needed anything. Overall, a very satisfying meal with good seafood and warm hospitality. Definitely planning to return and try more dishes!

Decent for neighbourhood crowd kinda food but not exactly a MUST… The food here lack char be it vege of fried rice. Omelette is the well done type. Crab is not bad very wholesome. Service is friendly. However I can’t find a reason to return as the food here is just too normal.

Really delicious meal here. Crab omelet was juicy and flavorful. The seafood sauce was crazy good…I could put that on anything. The service was also super friendly and honest and steered me in a good direction rather than upselling, like some other shops. The stir-fry items like the fried rice and vegetables was really well done. Plenty of wok-hey. Definitely a place I would return.

One of the crab meat omelettes I've had in Bangkok, complemented by fresh fish tomyum and crab fried rice. The portions are generous, the service attentive, and the environment clean and pleasant. The prices are quite reasonable, making it a good spot for lunch. They're closed on Sundays, with operating hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. I’ll definitely be returning.

Somtum Der is a trendy restaurant in Thong Lor that offers a contemporary take on northern Isan Thai cuisine. The restaurant, known for its outdoor terrace, is gaining recognition for its authentic northeastern dishes such as larb tawt, grilled marinated pork, and shredded unripe papaya with grilled mackerel and coconut rice. One of the highlights is their unique somtum with Thai vermicelli and white popinac seeds.
I've had the pleasure of dining at Somtum Der, Sala Daeng ส้มตำเด้อ ศาลาแดง, a restaurant that's been mentioned several times by the Michelin guide, and it's truly a delight! The food is amazing, we absolutely loved it! I highly recommend the spicy shrimp soup and the papaya salad with mackerel - the fish is cooked to perfection and is absolutely delicious. If you're looking for authentic Thai flavors, this place is a must-try!

A cute authentic Thai food restaurant that was Michelin recognized since 2018. We were a group of 4 people that came here to have dinner, and decided to sit outside, as the inside had a strong cooking smell that was tough for us. From the salads section we ordered the Tum Mamaung Pla Krob (spicy sour mango salad with crispy fish) and the Tum Kaopod Kai Kem (spicy corn salad with salted egg). Both salads were very well seasoned, but veryyyy spicy (although we requested them not too spicy). From the charcoal grilled section we ordered the Moo Rong Hai Der (grilled marinated pork) which was very delicious, served with a spicy sauce (yet again, very very spicy), and this was probably the best dish of our dinner here. From the rice & noodles section we ordered the Kao Kaprao Kai Dao (stir-fried holy basil with pork and fried egg on rice). This was also a very spicy dish, but it was tasty and the rice balanced the spiciness. After all of this, we were still hungry so ended up ordering another dish. It was the Pad Mee Hang Nuea Lai (stir-fried noodles with sliced marbled beef shank and egg), which was a bit meh, lacked seasoning and the beef slices were a bit dry. Our friends that have issue with spiciness ordered several different dishes and specifically requested to make them not spicy at all, but they were all way too spicy for them and they ended up returning some dishes up to 3 times until the kitchen got it right. Considering the entire experience from end to end, I'd probably skip returning to this restaurant, also noting that it wasn't very good VFM as we spent almost 600 baht per person.

Authentic Thai Isan Cuisine found in Bangkok! Absolutely amazing and the MVP goes to Grilled Beef Tongue! All the dishes I ordered were so finger licking delicious! The restaurant located nearby to Central Park Mall and Lumphini Park. It was not too crowded when I visited the restaurant, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. But I personally prefer indoor seating due to weather and dust. Price was slightly higher, my bill was around 900 thb +- But it worth the price as the food quality was great! Those who like spicy food can try it here!

An Isaan-style restaurant with bold, flavorful dishes. You can specify how many chilies you want to adjust the spice level. The restaurant has two floors, and table reservations are available. It’s recommended to book a table in advance. The staff are friendly and provide good service. The place can get quite noisy, but you can still hold a conversation comfortably.

Quite unique menu but had that uniquely dishes. I think it’s Isaan cuisine. I had the slow cooked thinly sliced brisket cook with cow’s blood. A lot milder in flavor than I thought and added the fresh leafy vegetables that they gave me and I think that really added another dimension to the dish. The clear Tomyam pork cartilage soup was my favorite. And they also had Coke slushy with sour plum, a nice beverage addition to dial back the spicyness of the dishes. Try this place! It was Wednesday night at 9pm and it was a full house l!

The Platinum Fashion Mall Food Court, located opposite the Platinum Shopping Mall in Pratunam Bangkok, offers a wide variety of affordable and authentic Thai dishes. To dine here, visitors need to purchase a prepaid food card which can be topped up for meals. The food court can get busy during peak hours but offers quick seating turnover. It is known for its inexpensive yet delicious local cuisine, including halal options.
You either love or hate Platinum Fashion Mall for its chaos. But what you'll definitely love - even as a hater of this mall - is its food court. The Platinum Fashion Mall Food Court is huge, clean and offers a great variety of different food and drinks. There are restaurants where you can pay in cash as well as a section where you can only pay by using a prepaid card. The Food Court is located on the top floor of the mall. A perfect place to stop after a wild shopping tour or even if you're close-by and feeling hungry.

Hidden Gem for Food Lovers in the Middle of a Shopping Frenzy! If you’re heading to Platinum Fashion Mall for shopping (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?), do NOT miss the food court on the top floor — it’s a total game changer. I came in expecting just a basic mall food court, but what I found was a culinary playground filled with local Thai favorites, quick bites, desserts, and drinks — all at incredibly reasonable prices. It’s clean, well-managed, and offers a fantastic break from the shopping chaos downstairs. Food Variety: 🌶🍜🍢🍰 From classic pad thai and tom yum noodles to mango sticky rice, crispy pork with rice, boat noodles, and Thai-style fried chicken, the selection is huge. You can eat something different every day and still not get bored. I also saw halal and vegetarian options, plus some Chinese, Japanese, and fusion dishes for those looking for something beyond Thai cuisine. My personal favorites: • Fried chicken skin with sticky rice – dangerously addictive. • Som tum (papaya salad) – spicy, fresh, and made right in front of you. • Boat noodles – rich broth, generous toppings, and crazy cheap. • Coconut ice cream with toppings – the perfect sweet ending. Price & Payment: 💸 You’ll need to get a prepaid card to use at the food court (they don’t take cash at the stalls), which is super easy to do and any unused balance is refundable. Most dishes are in the 40–80 THB range — insane value considering the quality and taste. Atmosphere: It’s bright, clean, and air-conditioned. Even though it gets busy during lunch, the food stalls are efficient, and the seating turnover is quick. It’s not a fine dining experience, obviously — but for a mall food court, it’s one of the best I’ve seen in Bangkok. Perfect for: • Tourists who want to try authentic Thai food without going too far • Shoppers who need a quick, satisfying meal • Budget travelers hunting for good eats • Foodies wanting to try as much as possible in one place ⸻ Final Thoughts: This food court is a must-visit even if you’re not there to shop. Affordable, authentic, fast, and tasty — it’s everything you want from Thai street food, minus the heat and the sidewalk. Platinum Mall may be famous for its fashion bargains, but the real hidden treasure is upstairs in the food court. Highly recommended. Come hungry — you’ll want to try everything.

Hits n misses (more misses in my opinion)...the Vietnamese stall was one of the best among them all...the rice paper roll with shrimp was excellent unlike the usual tasteless rolls I get in Singapore. The pork skewers were average but my wife claimed she couldn't tell that it was pork so a minus there. Likely won't be back again unless I'm shopping here and too lazy to go elsewhere.
LexTeo8888 — Google review
If you’re visiting Bangkok and planning to shop for fashion especially in bulk or wholesale Platinum Mall is where you need to go. A lot of people still don’t realize that this isn’t just a tourist shopping spot… it’s where resellers and boutique owners from all over the world come to stock up. 🛍️ Whether you’re from Bangladesh, India, the Middle East, or anywhere else, if you’re looking to buy in bulk and sell in your own country, this place is a goldmine. Clothes, accessories, shoes, bags they’ve got it all. And the prices are way lower than what you’d find in mainstream malls or night markets. 💡 Pro tip: Most of the vendors here offer even better prices if you buy 3 or more pieces — even if they’re not the same item. So it’s perfect for business buyers or even friends shopping together. What I love is that it’s all under one roof, air-conditioned, organized by sections (floors for women’s wear, men’s wear, kids, etc.), and open during the day unlike night markets. It saves time, energy, and gives you proper space to explore without chaos. Trust me, if you’re a serious shopper or planning to start a fashion business, Platinum Mall is that hidden gem you don’t want to skip.
Jannat F — Google review
“This mall is a shopaholic’s paradise! I could honestly shop till I drop here. If I had more time, I’d happily spend days just exploring. The clothing is reasonably priced, with good quality and plenty of variety. I simply couldn’t get enough of it!” They have food, beauty products, jewellery, accessories, electronics, toys, clothing, and much much more! “If you’re buying more than one item, don’t forget to negotiate — prices aren’t fixed, and vendors are usually open to reducing the total. I’d also suggest investing in a good trolley bag if you plan on shopping a lot, as it makes carrying everything so much easier. The only drawback is that they don’t allow trial rooms, which would have made the experience even better.”
Chiragi J — Google review
It's a lively and busy atmosphere, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take your time. At the age of sixty, I found it quite enjoyable. The stores were clean, offered a wide variety of products, and had a large selection. A shopper's paradise! And the prices were unbeatable.

Jeh O Chula is a bustling and unpretentious restaurant that specializes in street food snacks, tom yam, and seafood dishes. It's a popular spot with locals and visitors alike, often drawing long lines of hungry patrons eager to sample its Chinese-Thai fusion cuisine. The restaurant features typical Thai decor with white tile floors, walls, aluminum tables, stools, and TVs showing random news.
A very popular restaurant. Although it serves instant noodles, the ingredients are great. It deserves the Michelin name and tastes great. Be sure to use the app to queue in advance to avoid meal times. They sell whole coconuts, so you can ask the staff.

Last night, I made a special trip to the Chulalongkorn University Night Market and finally got to try the legendary Jeb O Chula Banthatthong! Even though we waited in line for almost an hour, the first bite made it all worth it. We ordered the signature "Mama Noodles." The steaming copper pot was packed with ingredients—large, fresh prawns, tender minced pork, a runny egg, and refreshing straw mushrooms. The most amazing part was the soup: the Tom Yum base was perfectly sour and spicy, with the richness of coconut milk balancing the heat just right. Every spoonful was incredibly addictive. I especially have to praise the spiciness level—it had a strong kick but didn't upset the stomach, making you crave more with each bite. Even though the place was packed, the service was surprisingly fast. Highly recommended for anyone who loves spicy food. This is absolutely a must-try, god-tier supper spot in Bangkok!
马焕昭 — Google review
This popular Michelin awarded spot is charming and the service is friendly. However, the food doesn't quite live up to the hype. The flavors often taste muted and one-note, lacking the fresh, vibrant punch of authentic Thai cuisine. Some dishes ingredients don't always taste garden-fresh. It's a decent meal, but for the reputation, you'd expect more exciting taste and better quality. It's good for a casual fix, but not the culinary destination it's made out to be.

We arrived and were asked to download the QueQ app, it was super easy to use! We got a number, and while waiting, we were able to walk around and even get foot massages. We ordered the crunchy pork belly, which I personally didn’t love because it was a bit too fatty for me, but my husband really enjoyed it. We also shared the Mama Tom Yum Noodles, which were honestly the best thing we’ve tried in Thailand! The flavor wasn’t “fishy” at all, it was citrusy, and the fish, calamari, and shrimp were incredibly flavorful.

Flavourful mama instant noodles, the crispy pork was still crispy even though it was soaked in the soup. The raw salmon salad is tangy and surprisingly good. Download the QueQ app to get a queue number before arriving as wait time during dinner was more than 30min.

Still can’t believe i survived that never-ending line just for Mama Noodles Jeh O Chula- but honestly, it was worth every minute! The chicken wings crispy on the outside, tender on the inside every bite’s a little crunch followed by soft, juicy heaven so simple and the prices are surprisingly friendly..if you ever come to Bangkok, don’t miss this spot! Yes, you’ll have to queue like you’re waiting for concert tickets, but trust me..one bite and you’ll understand why everyone’s obsessed

Jeh O Chula serves one of the most unforgettable bowls of noodles you can find in Bangkok. The Tom Yum Mama with crispy pork belly and egg yolk is pure chaos in the best possible way, with a deep, spicy, herby soup that hits you with lemongrass, lime, and chili all at once. Here’s how you should do it: 1️⃣ Start with the broth. That tom yum base is the star — spicy, sour, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. 2️⃣ Then dive into the noodles. They soak up all the flavors and give that satisfying slurp you came for. 3️⃣ Finally, the pork belly. Super crispy skin, tender fatty meat underneath, the contrast is insane. Break the egg yolk into the soup for that rich, silky finish. It’s messy, vibrant, and full of life, just like Bangkok itself. Easily one of the most memorable local food experiences I’ve had.

Nestled in the vibrant streets of Bangkok, Heng Hoi Tod Chaw Lae is a culinary gem hailing from Phuket, renowned for its delectable hoi tod. This southern Thai specialty features stir-fried oysters served on a crispy pancake, and it’s a must-try for seafood lovers.
This place is well reviewed for a great reason. The oyster omelette is clean, simple, and refreshing with the crispy skirt. The pad Thai is also simple but delicious. Oyster omelette: first visit, we ordered the small size. For our second visit, we instantly ordered the medium size. The clean tasting oyster as well as the crispy skirt around the omelette was such a great dining experience. Pad Thai: we were able to try both the shrimp pad Thai and the chicken pad Thai. Both were really good! We also tried the braised pork with rice. Simple, clean, and filling. It was nice to eat in between the omelette and the pad Thai. I will definitely come back every time I find myself in Bangkok.

Best crispy omelette with fresh oysters ‘ 🦪 Most delicious place for fresh oysters and seafood but the best crispy omelette in town! Pad thai was so yummy here too and it was unpredictable find! Oysters were plump fresh and no smell! Amazing char fried taste from the wok! Truly Bangkok was filled with seafood

This is a small, historic restaurant tucked away near Chinatown. They have their own signature dishes developed over a long history. They offered a great combo meal that was very reasonably priced and came with a complimentary plate of prawn crackers.I highly recommend their new dish, the Pad Thai Tom Yum. The flavor is truly unique—it has a distinctive taste that is both surprising and familiar at the same time!

I highly recommend the fried mussels and oysters here – they're consistently delicious and incredibly fresh. The shop offers a tasty dipping sauce, and it's perfect for takeaway. The flavor profile is unique; it's not overly sweet. While the first taste might be unexpected, it quickly grows on you, and you'll find yourself craving more. The seafood is exceptionally fresh. For just 180 Baht, the portion is huge, incredibly filling, and excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and the promotions are a great bonus. Check in on Facebook or Google for a 5% discount and a free glass of refreshing chrysanthemum tea. I'm particularly fond of the Banthadthong Road branch for its authentic street food vibe. While there's ample parking available, please note that it's paid. It's no surprise this place is ranked as a Top 5 street food spot by CNN. A must-try!

Famous restaurant with balanced flavours and a great variety of dishes. We tried chicken Pad Thai, soft omelette with scallops, and the stir-fried turnip with chicken — it was good, but didnt really like soft omelette. The restaurant is a bit small. Highly recommended for anyone looking for refined yet authentic Thai food.

They say if leave a review, will get a free drink. I was sceptical at first. But when the oyster omelette was served, OMG, it was delicious! The crust is so crispy, the oyster is very soft and tender and doesn't have a foul smell. Can also try their pork leg. Very tender pork. Sauce is a bit sweet. Other than that, I think the whole meal is perfect. Strongly recommended to try!

Our first dinner in Bangkok — and what a perfect way to start the trip! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with flavour. Factory Coffee in Bangkok, located on Phayathai Road, is a trendy coffee spot with a hipster vibe. While it may be pricier than other cafes in Thailand, the quality of their gourmet coffee cocktails made from expertly roasted artisanal beans and high-quality ingredients justifies the cost.
LOVE THE COFFEE ! it was amazing, definitely worth the queue. They sell merchandise, beans and also capsule coffee too. Go earlier if possible. i arrived there at like 08.30, and the store was almost full with long lineup outside, i think i waited around 40-45 minutes, but don't worry the staffs were really nice and always smiling despite all the hectic stuff going on. They also sell delicious cakes too. The store located just below the Phaya Thai BTS station, which is very convenient if you're a tourist. Definitely will be back for sure ❤️👍🏻👍🏻

We may be spoiled because we live in Vancouver (known for its excellent filtered coffee), but the coffee here is overrated. The drip coffee tastes like a good cup but was not worth the wait. The supreme is delicious - like a cinnamon creamy hug. We came at 9:50 and stood in line for 30 minutes before ordering, then got our drinks and food 30-40 minutes after that. It all came separately, with the croissants arriving last. (?) The croissants were very sweet, but warm and flaky and delicious. While everything was high quality and delicious, none of it was worth the wait.

Is a great place to try. Afterall BKK is also another coffee heaven for coffee drinkers. Many different kinds of coffee. Today I tried the white citrus. The coffee was has a strong aroma and the citrus came after that. Is taste a little bitter but overall the drink is tasty. A hint of sweetness and bitterness after taste. Interesting The early grey was their signature. And it was only 730 am and only left 5 pieces. The cake has a very strong early grey smell which I love it. The cream on top was not too oily and just turn right amount. The cake is on the drier version. Not the usual fluffy and light kind. Which is why is a smaller peices. Is packed with omph and you can literally taste every early grey in every grain of the cake. Would love to try their carrot cake the next round. Many people are ordering their IG drink such a supreme coffee as the staff will come over and pour for you to take video and this resulted in long queues. So do be mindful when trying out this place and plan your time well. When I left at 8am. There was already a queue despite it was not seated fully as they need to make sure they can fulfilled all their drinks first. It took about 15 mins for my drink to arrive. So dont expect Starbucks service..and I didn't give 5 stars because once it get crowded. The queues is horrendous. The design of the cafe is like all other major coffee shop. Rustic warehouse design with concrete slabs. But they do have nice cute chairs and tables.

Specially went down to this cafe because of tik tok and youtube recommendation. But sadly, the coffee is overrated. The cafe opens at 8am and when I reached at 7.30am, there is a reasonable amount of people queuing to enter. Queued about 45min and ordered 02 cups of 9oz factory white (not latte) and 1 slice of lemon cake. The cake was a surprise. Soft and creamy. But the coffee was disappointing because it is too milky. Barely tasted the caffeine. A cup of white is the basic to me and it wasn't done properly. There is a different between a white and latte. And yet, it cannot be done properly. I guess most of the patrons visited this cafe is to try out their best seller - Supreme. So if you have extra time to spare and nowhere to go and feel like queuing up, you can try this cafe. Otherwise, do consider other cafes in BKK which at least can do a better white.

The tourist must visit haha Due to the crowd and limited space, there's usually a wait to get a seat. But, believe me, its worth to visit. An artisan coffee that deliver with heart is never failed. Good job guys!

Long queue but totally worth the wait! The coffee deserves all the good reviews because it’s awesome. I tried Steve Jobs, Phayathai, and Moscow! A lot of people miss out on their cakes but they’re seriously delicious. I had the best carrot cake ever here!! 😇
Amy N — Google review
White citrus is great, however the sweetness is much more compare with the coffee beans taste. Payata thai is sweet too with the condensed milk. Compare with all those, mocha sea salt seems to be with a better quality. Mixed with high grade cocoa powder and the sea salt added a pinch. Thai milk tea croissant is not bad, with nice Thai milk tea filling. And the croissant itself is quite airy. Back again after 5 years. A little disappointed. Didn’t expect the taste of the milk and citrus to fully cover the beans original taste. If queuing outside, the waiting time could easily go up to 50 mins.
Skye C — Google review
Visited Factory Coffee and it absolutely lived up to the hype! Initially went around 10+ AM and the queue was insanely long, so we returned the next day before 9 AM — a much better experience with a more manageable line. We tried a few of their signature drinks and were not disappointed. The Mocha Sea Salt was a standout — rich, chocolatey, and topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, both indulgent and well-balanced. The Factory Blood was smooth and creamy with a comforting espresso punch, and the iced chocolate was thick and satisfying. Paired our drinks with their Earl Grey Tea Cake and Dark Beer Cake — both moist, flavourful, and not overly sweet. The almond croissant was crisp and buttery. The space itself is stylish and buzzing with energy, perfect for café hoppers. Highly recommend visiting early to avoid long waits. A must-visit café in Bangkok for great coffee, creative drinks, and quality bakes.

Night market
Chinatown Night Market in Bangkok is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic and lively shopping experience. The market offers a vibrant atmosphere with traditional Thai music, food stalls serving diverse and delicious flavors, and unique crafts on display. Visitors can immerse themselves in the energetic ambiance while exploring the various offerings. With its reopening after Covid, Chinatown Night Market invites locals and tourists alike to indulge in local delicacies and enjoy the bustling environment.
I liked the atmosphere here. Bangkok’s Chinatown Night Market feels very different from the more orderly street stalls — it’s lively, chaotic, and that’s part of its charm. It’s not only a food paradise but also a great place to experience Bangkok’s multicultural side. The market starts around 6 p.m. and goes until 2 a.m. or later, making it perfect for late-night snacks. Prices are on the higher side, and compared to other night markets, the floors and tables are a bit dirtier. Still, that messiness creates its own unique vibe. Walking through the historic alleys surrounded by rich Chinese culture feels almost like traveling through time. There are many tourist-oriented spots with higher prices and mixed quality, but I found the areas a little further away much better. Overall, the lights and atmosphere were dazzling and almost magical.
Shi D — Google review
Probably the worst night market in whole Bangkok. But what do you expect when most of the people here are tourists. Food quality is worst than elsewhere as western tourists usually haven't any clue what good Thai food is. Prices are higher as well. The whole place is dirtier than other night markets as well - the ground, the tables etc. But unfortunately that's also due to tourists as most of them are having a good time with their best friend alcohol. Nevertheless, you should go there just to see yourself that the vibe at Chinatown Night Market differs from the vibes of other night markets that we and especially local Thai people love so much.

Positive: +High variety of regular and exotic food. + Colorful Environment. Negative: - Quality of food is often average at best. - You can get same or better food at most corners in Bangkok. Tip: Only go, if you want to see a spectacle of light and noices. Or if you want to eat bugs/scorpions. Don't go at weekends.

I recently visited the Chinatown Night Market in Bangkok, and it was an amazing experience full of color, energy, and delicious food. The streets come alive at night with rows of food stalls, street vendors, and bright neon signs, creating a lively local atmosphere. You can find everything from authentic Thai-Chinese dishes to seafood, desserts, and refreshing drinks. It’s also a great place for souvenirs and street photography. The market can get very busy in the evening, so it’s best to go with patience and enjoy the buzz of the crowd. Overall, Chinatown Night Market is a must-visit spot for food lovers and anyone who wants to experience Bangkok’s street culture at its best. Bring cash — most stalls don’t accept cards.
Kasun Y — Google review
China Town in the evening is such an amazing place visually and for your taste buds. You can find loads of special foods that you wont find anywhere else. You can see that they do a lot of effort in giving you an unique experience eating. The smell from the fumes of cooking all over the place makes you hungry even if you are full. China Town is an experience you shouldn't miss out on when visiting Bangkok. Make sure you get here around 5-6pm and experience it all coming to life with the stands appearing and lights slowly lighting up the area after sunset.

It was a fun place to explore in Bangkok at night. I was expecting more variety there, perhaps it was slower/less busy because it was a Monday night/Tuesday morning. Prices were great though, I loved the 50 baht mango sticky rice and 200 baht crab fried rice I ate.

Nang Loeng Market is a charming and historic street food market located in the Dusit district of Bangkok. It is one of the few remaining traditional neighborhood markets in the city, alongside Ratchawat and Sriyan. The market features picturesque ancient wooden buildings and vendors who have been selling homemade snacks and Thai desserts for generations.
I was in the neighborhood and decided to check out what a local market looks like. Google Maps led me here, and I was pleasantly surprised. There were several stalls selling both raw ingredients and ready-to-eat snacks and meals. At the center, there’s an area for dining customers. I really enjoy seeing communities like this. Everything feels mundane yet vibrant.

An authentic local market visited by local people. You will find various different snacks and street food here. Coming here by navigating through the small alleys on foot in Bangkok is very relaxing and memorable.
Richard G — Google review
Come for the food market, but also stay to wonder around this old town district with lots of charm and history - including the Sala Chalerm Thani cinema - Thailand’s oldest wooden cinema, which dates back to 1918. Like its neighborhood there’s a cool, friendly community vibe in the market that has plenty of Thai food options and fruit, produce, and meat stalls. Compared to other places, Nang Leong is also clean, airy, very well priced, and has quite a few tables for dining. Pro tip come for an early lunch and then enjoy a coffee or desert at nearby cafes.

Chu C — Google review
From a foreigner's perspective, this is a local market so you can't expect too much English language support. Some of the food stalls have English but sometimes it's only for part of the menu, not all. Everything can be translated with Google though and it's all is clearly priced. I went at about 2pm and most of the food places had packed up for the afternoon, though there were still enough open for a good selection. It seems they operate at the main peak mealtimes. Since it's a local market, the prices aren't inflated and the food is arguably better than the more popular markets.

Surprisingly clean market which tailor itself to both local and tourists with many signs explaining the dishes being sold. My favourite is Kanin tuay, a little steamed coconut treat. The two layers of jelly one sweet one savoury complimented each other extremely well. Had to stop myself at two…

Very traditional market with sitting place available. It's not a very big market but we like the slow pace and layed back atmosphere. Do take note that most sellers don't speak much english but do understand a little bit of mandarin. Do take note of their operating hours.

Hawker stall
Khao Gaeng Jek Pui, also known as "Musical Chairs," has gained popularity among food travelers after being featured on the Netflix show "Street Food: Asia." This hawker stand in Bangkok's Chinatown is famous for its variety of curries. Customers order their curry from large stockpots and then search for an open stool, as there are no tables available. The plastic seats become available randomly as diners finish their meals.
One of the best curries I've had in a long time! The atmosphere is super fun, just sitting on some plastic stools in the alley served directly from the pot, as they're making all of the varieties of meals fresh. Serving of rice and the mains of choice. Pork ribs, green curry chicken, red curry beef, Chinese sausage, bamboo shoots and chicken were excellent. I strongly recommend going out of your way to eat here! The price is also very reasonable.

Aldo know as the red stool restaurant very good But the most spicy meal I eat in my Life we taste 3 there were all killer the most spicy was the crab rice. Next days I has a excursion and the local guide tell me I should not go eat there it for local only and was Lucky to not past the days at bathroom. Go for it only if you can handle Somerset spicy

Not sure if I was too late for this. Wanted to come here for an earlier meal but only arrived around 7 and it was almost close to closing time. Was a bit worried it might be sold out but thankfully there was still curry available. Also not sure if I should be early because there only seemed to be 1 kind of curry left so there wasn't any option I could just order 1 plate and they tried to give me whatever that was left. Dining area is pretty unique cause you sit under the sheltered area and there are no tables, just plastic chairs scattered and you just have to find an empty one to sit and dine. Quite a different experience but I have to say the curry was a little lukewarm but it still tasted pretty good. I wasn't sure what was it but tasted like pork curry though I was hoping to eat some seafood curry or sort before I came here. Simple no fuss dining but the curry was flavourful and will definitely make a return visit. Hope to see more variety available next time for selection. Maybe was close to closing time, not many people but still a fair mix of local and tourists. The tourists were all brought over by tour guides and came in groups of about 10 people. Saw 2 groups here but seats are definitely ample.

Local friend brought us to try a local Thai eatery favoured by locals. Very low key and authentic Thai Street curries served over rice. No fuss seating arrangements with juts 2 dozen red plastic stools behind the store in the alleyway, diners just order, pay, sit eat enjoy the food and go! Curries were delicious and varied with many options available! Definitely worth a visit!

A super authentic Thai curry restaurant, we've got a lot of recommendations on. The menu is very short, only 4 curry options and several optional toppings. We wanted to try as many types as possible, and since the prices are very low (only 45 baht for one dish) we decided to order 3 of the curry dishes they offer - beef red curry, pork yellow curry & chicken green curry. All of the curry types were great, but although we got the most recommendations on the yellow one, we liked the green curry much better. The food is freshly made every day, and has very authentic flavors, but there was more rice than actually curry stew in all of them, but considering the price it was still great VFM.

Sanguan Sri is a well-loved Thai restaurant that has been popular among locals for over 40 years. Despite not being considered upscale or making it onto international 'must-eat' lists, this eatery holds a special significance for many. It's known for attracting aspiring chefs who have honed their skills in both modern and traditional Thai cooking within its small and bustling space.
I ordered 2 dishes. Sadly not a Friday so couldn’t order the Friday special. What I ordered was tasty and fresh. I kept away from the Chrissy pork dishes knowing it’s unlikely a home kitchen would produce soft succulent pork (hence reviews). What I had I loved including the ice cold tea they serve complimentary and keep topping up the glass. Dishes not hot at all. Chilli comes separate to the table. Perfect.

Arrived at 2pm, not very busy, the red wood interior gives a great vintage atmosphere. The restaurants has a variation of authentic Thai food at a surprisingly affordable price, considering the generous use of ingredients. We like the fish cake very much and the green curry with pork ribs on Friday menu. The Chinese bamboo dish was a hidden highlight, the bamboo pieces were super thick yet tender, almost like some kind of meat. It was a super flavourful and satisfying catering experience, highly recommend.

Authentic central Thai food in central business area in Bangkok. Especially around lunch hours, the restaurant is often packed. The food, especially soup dishes were very tasty, aromatic and not too overly sweet. The restaurant is very generous with portions size and protein in each of the dishes. At very affordable price for the restaurant in the area.

Thai restaurant on wireless road that offer authentic central Thai food at very affordable price. However due to the restaurant popularity, a lot of the dishes run out very fast. We ordered the chicken green curry with rice noodles at price 70thb. The curry was rich in flavors, very aromatic and the restaurant was very generous with chicken pieces. Some of our friends ordered extra fried egg, but it took a while to serve.

Sanguan Sri is one of those rare places that makes you stop and truly appreciate what food can be. We were handed a menu entirely in Thai and noticed there wasn’t a single tourist in sight — that’s when we knew we were in for something special. We ordered a few recommended dishes, along with whatever looked good, including the green curry and egg fried rice. What arrived was simple, honest, and absolutely extraordinary. Each bite was full of depth and balance — comforting yet refined. It was one of the simplest yet most stunning meals I’ve ever had, the kind that quietly transcends anything you’ve eaten before. In a city overflowing with great food on every corner, Sanguan Sri still stands out as a true gem — authentic, unpretentious, and unforgettable.

Slightly disappointed by this Michelin Bib awarded restaurant. I love the daily specials menu which keeps things fresh. It was Tuesday so I ordered the red curry duck (the red curry had an excellent flavour, the pineapple went well the little tomatoes were a nice pop of sweetness but a fair proportion of the duck was gristly). The crispy spicy pork salad, the fish sauce dressing on the salad was to die for but the pork was solid as a rock, very hard and whilst the bacon-y taste was nice, it was difficult to eat. Overall I enjoyed it but there were flaws.
Simon H — Google review
A modest, authentic Thai eatery is situated on the side of Witthayu Road. The Michelin sticker displayed at the entrance piqued my interest and heightened my anticipation for the culinary experience. The establishment specializes in homemade Thai cuisine. I placed an order for an omelet, Tom Yum soup, spicy basil chicken with rice, and coconut juice. It is important to note that the restaurant only accepts cash payments. The interior decor exudes a traditional ambiance, featuring long tables and chairs reminiscent of a canteen rather than a conventional restaurant. Fortunately, the air-conditioning ensures a comfortable dining environment. Regarding the food, I found the Tom Yum soup to be somewhat lacking in flavor, while the basil chicken with rice was satisfactory, although I would have preferred a higher level of spiciness. The portions were generous, with substantial pieces of chicken and prawns in both the Tom Yum soup and the basil chicken with rice. The service was commendably prompt, from the moment of ordering to the serving of the dishes. For international visitors, it is worth noting that the staff's English proficiency is limited. Therefore, it is advisable to have a translation application readily available for assistance.

Noodle shop
Chakki is a popular restaurant located on Rang Nam Road in Bangkok's Chinatown, known for its traditional Chinese dishes and noodles. The restaurant has been operated by the same family for over 30 years and is famous for its signature dish - lad na, which features deep-fried noodles topped with a thick gravy sauce that offers a delightful combination of salty and sweet flavors.
Once you get there, you’ll find this unassuming eatery, that was half full at 1130AM, and comprising of locals only. It seems like a family owned business, with a grandma roaming around in sleepwear taking orders. A lady spotted us checking translations of the menu on our phone, and offered us the English menu. Fried wanton (S) 40 Fried spring rolls (S-4pcs) 100 Rad-Nha flat wide noodles with beef 160 Rad-Nha crispy vermicelli with prawn 180 Iced tea 5 per pax Appetisers came pretty fast, and gotta say that the spring rolls are amazing! We almost didn’t order that, and no regrets that we did! Something different, something peppery, this is something I will come back for~ I had the rad-nha flat wide noodles with beef, the noodles were amazing, a lot of wok hei! Gravy is on the sweet side, as is the beef - not really to my liking, but there’s the option to add on condiments like chili flakes, vinegar and pepper for me. Iced tea is refillable, so that was a bonus. Quite a number of people ordered the wanton noodles, but we were too full to order another main to share, maybe next time!

Which other Michelin-awarded eateries can be snappy and impatient, their service was still comforting and welcoming. Above all, the food was obviously exquisite with the best rad-na in town. Ballpark of THB 150 for each plate of noodles (some variances here and there) with 5THB for iced tea with unlimited refills.

Despite many negative reviews, I gave this place a try and was pleasantly surprised. In my opinion, the food is very delicious. The signature crispy noodles with gravy sauce are especially impressive—crispy without being too oily. Each dish is cooked individually, showing care for the customer. The sauce is a bit on the sweet side, but still enjoyable. The wonton soup is also tasty, with a clear and fresh broth. As for the service, while some say the staff seem unfriendly, I think they’re just not smiley—but they’re attentive and quick to refill drinks. Definitely worth a visit.

Very casual. No door. Narrow one way street. No air conditioning (I think – we were there in November, only fans). We’ve two fried noodle plates and they’re ok. The stem of the green veggie is tender and yummy (I hope is part of the leave). It was just right for us at the right moment.

The Rad-Nha Noodles is so great also with Tao See option. The only downside of the restaurant is the service, their menu on the wall is not include all the dish they provide and the staff are a bit weird.

Another Bangkok Michelin gem quest. I tried for the first time, Rad-nha, here which is their signature. I think it's similar to Char hor fun in Penang, except Thai cooked the thick gravy once in a big amount and just pouring it to the noodle when about to deliver. Tastewise, it is slightly different from the Penang style. It tastes lighter and tends to be bland, because they are cooked separately, the gravy and the noodles. But, still I can enjoy it. Portion, as I pick deep fried rice vermicelli instead of noodle, it's bit small to me. By the way, fried pork wonton is a must, I couldn't stop eating it as a snack. Preparation time is too long, although all ladies owner were friendly and polite. Pricewise, eventhough they give free Ice-tea refill, still kinda expensive to me, considering this is not a restaurant with cool and cozy indoor dining area. However, again, this is a Michelin awarded restaurant.

Authentic and tasty comfort Chinese-Thai food. Great atmosphere and flavors, though some dishes were a bit too sweet for me. Still worth a visit!

Recommended by my friend, I decided to find a time for going here. A little bit walking from victory monument, I arrived the restaurant wifi is in the small valley. My friend recommended to try stirred fry big wide noodle and find it moderate. The beef is soft and easy to chew. I think the soup is a little bit to sweet and some chinese kale had a fiber. Tea cost 5 baht but refillable. Staff is nice and eager to service.

Charmgang is a curry house located in Charoenkrung, founded by former chefs from Nahm. They offer a weekly rotating menu and provide delivery service from Wednesday to Sunday, twice a day. Their signature dish is the Charmgang Rice Noodle featuring crispy pork belly, prawns, and veggies. Other notable dishes include Grilled Catfish with sweet fish sauce over rice and Smoked Kingfish Curry with rice noodle and deep-fried prawn.
Charmgang really impressed me. The food was full of flavor — every dish had a nice balance of spice, freshness, and depth that made it stand out. It feels creative but still very Thai at heart, which I really enjoyed. The atmosphere is fun with the neon lights and open kitchen, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the night. Prices are not the cheapest, but for the quality and experience, it felt worth it. It’s the kind of place I’d definitely come back to with friends, since sharing and trying different dishes makes it even more enjoyable.

Highly recommend open kitchen Thai restaurant if you like spicy food. Their curries were good as well as the freshness of ingredients. Highly recommend the oyster appetizer. Very nice service as well. The only downside was there is no parking space. Advance reservation is recommended.

Basically street food in a restaurant setting. Family style dining experience with dishes to share between everyone at the table. Items are all very well prepared but we did find the crab omelette slightly underwhelming. Everything else was very good though. Staff are helpful and service is fast and efficient. Worth dropping by if you’re in the area.

Delicious food, cool environment, and attentive staff! We got a few dishes to share - the scallop cupcake, the white curry with beef, the duck curry, and the grilled vegetables were all delicious. They also accept card payments!

Best scallop I’ve tasted in Thailand. It was like a scallop kanom krok where the pancake is custardy inside and crisp on the outside and filled with a layer of aromatic curry. The crab omelet was also amazing and runny.

We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel staff and boy did it deliver. The food was delicious, the flavours amazing. The portion sizing great. We got multiple dishes to share (missed getting photos of them all as we were too busy enjoying the food). I had the pig's knuckle tossed dry noodle. I think the history of the shop overwhelmed the quality of the food. Noodle was soaky and not bouncy at all. And it taste quite blend that I have to add the black sauce with chili that was available on the table. No tissue nor smile with service. Quite disappointing.

Khanom Krok Shell Chuan Chim Khun Noi Ban Mo is a popular Thai street food consisting of small coconut rice pancakes or dumplings. Cooked in special pans, these crispy-on-the-outside and soft-on-the-inside treats are made with a batter of rice flour, coconut milk, and sugar. They come in both sweet and salty varieties, offering a delightful blend of flavors. These little rice cakes provide a deliciously creamy taste experience that's unique to Thai desserts.

Thai desserts have never been "my thing" until I tried a khanom krok (a small coconut-rice pancake) straight off the griddle at this famous street stall in Ban Mo. With a crisp base, coconut creamy inside, and a slightly smoky flavor - courtesy of the coconut shell charcoal used by the vendor - it is a delectable sweet treat. They are best enjoyed a minute, or two, straight off the griddle for maximum flavor and enjoyment. It's also great to watch the skill and care of the vendors cooking over the hot coals. The vendors are also super friendly and it is no wonder that this humble street stall is a big favorite among locals, and others living further out (sending motorcycle couriers to buy on their behalf).

Old style thai desserts. It looks nice, but taste too sweet. No parking lot. Only free pubilc parking on the the street.

One portion cost 40 baht, the khanom krok are prepared on a clay little stove that is heated using coals. First they put some ground brown sugar, then add a flour mixture, and finally the coconut mixture. Later covering with mini clay tops, to cook. These khanom krok are definitely special, and nothing to any other place I’ve tried before. They are open from 6pm untill 11 i believe.

Delicious and classic Thai dessert up there with Mango and Sticky Rice! 🤤😋 The friendliest Thais make up this street restaurant. The Coconut Pancakes are a unique desert but delicious with that charcoal flavor missed by today's cooking process. That flavor as well as the unique oiling and sugar impart a beautiful flavor. So cheap at $30 Baht. It's clear that the folks do this for the Thai people with much love for the community and culture, both Thai and Street Food.

OMG, this is my favourite thai dessert "Mortar-toasted pastry" I know you can find this from any where around Thailand, but‼️ i see no one do the old style. He use the "Chan" (sap from Rubber tree) instead of oil. The smell is like magic and the taste is unforgettable. During i wait for i had "Dumplings in coconut cream" if you have chance to have those. I've just ate (take away) from there, the young boy was the chef, he was very unhappy and was not communicating at all.. the waiter was smiling, he was good. Maybe the main chef -the woman working at night- is better but this one (pad thai) the young boy cooked was absolutely tasteless. There was no sauce, no taste.. I didn't taste any salt, soy, fish sauce etc. He didn't ask me even if I want hot spices, there was no taste.

One of the best street food places in Bangkok and definitely on Kaosan road! We had Pad Thai Veggie (40 Bath) Papaya Salad (60 Bath) and spring rolls (35 Bath). Prices are compared to the places nearby extremely cheap. The two ladies were super friendly and had good English. There are several little tables so you can enjoy food „in“ the restaurant. We are sad that we explored the place on our last evening but highly recommend to anyone :)

Since it can get crowded and hot, visiting early in the morning is a good idea. Overall, Chatuchak offers a vibrant and memorable shopping experience full of charm and creativity.

The Chatuchak Market is the largest open-air market in Bangkok, so prepare for a lot of walking. The location is accessible by train, making it fairly easy to get there. There is no fee to get in and the market has different areas dedicated to specific items such as art or clothing. Scattered throughout are food stalls and other shops. I spent 4 hours here and was able to get through most of the market.

Chatuchak Weekend Market is an absolute must-visit in Bangkok! 🛍️ From trendy clothes and handmade crafts to delicious Thai street food, you can find almost everything here. The market is huge — make sure to wear comfy shoes and stay hydrated! 💦 The vibe is lively, the locals are friendly, and every corner is full of surprises. A perfect spot to shop, eat, and soak up the Bangkok atmosphere. 😍

I have been to Chatuchak Market many times over the years and every time I go I find something new or a section I haven't visited before. It's a very very big market and definitely worth a visit. They sell everything from clothes to kitchen wear, Hilltribe arts and crafts to furniture and antiques. There is so much more too this place but if you are looking for presents to take home or a great experience in Bangkok then it is a great option. Oh and there are lots of places to eat and drink as well. Just a two minute walk from the BTS station Mo Chit and the MRT station Suan Chatuchak.

Shopping paradise and cultural experience! Chatuchak Weekend Market is massive and full of energy! From clothes, accessories, and souvenirs to unique home decor and street food, there’s something for everyone. The market is vibrant, colorful, and perfect for exploring local culture. Don’t forget to try some of the delicious Thai snacks while you shop. Bring comfy shoes and plenty of time — you’ll want to see it all! A must-visit for anyone in Bangkok.

I went to Chatuchak Weekend Market with a friend — it was fun, prices were reasonable, and the food was good. Definitely worth a visit! Next to it is the Vintage Market, which has a lot of cool stuff, though not so cheap. I have a travel agency in Machu Picchu, Cusco, Peru (@dopkertravel). If you’re traveling to Peru and need help, just contact me!

Best place to shop eat, walk with quality and good proced items. You can find anything from food, snacks, shirts, vintage, shoes, sports, animals, massage even furnitures. This is must visit but only opens on weekends! Dont forget the malls across also excellent stuffs
Charlie O — Google review
Chatuchak Weekend Market – Bargain Paradise with a Side of Chaos Chatuchak Weekend Market is massive—almost overwhelming in size—with thousands of stalls spread across a maze-like layout. It’s a must-see if you’re in Bangkok and love bargain hunting, but it’s best tackled with a plan and an early start. I recommend arriving right when it opens in the morning; by noon, the crowds and heat can make it feel like time to head out. The market is generally clean, and the staff are friendly. Bathrooms are surprisingly decent for a place this size, and the air-conditioned food court is a welcome break. That’s where I ate, and the food was excellent—plenty of Thai favorites and snacks to refuel between shopping sprees. While the selection is huge, a lot of stalls sell similar items—clothing, souvenirs, accessories—so it can feel repetitive. If they trimmed down the duplicates, the market could probably shrink by half. Still, prices are great, and it’s a fantastic place to pick up gifts. I plan to return closer to Christmas to grab a few things to send back to the States. Note: The main market is only open on weekends, but there’s a mall-like extension nearby that operates during the week. It’s worth checking out if you miss the weekend rush.

Srinagarindra Train Night Market, also known as Talad Dek Neaw or the "hipsters" market, is a bustling outdoor night market located behind Seacon Square. It offers a wide variety of items such as antiques, vintage memorabilia, furniture, clothing, cameras, and instruments. With over 2000 stalls and the largest collection of antiques in Thailand, this market is a must-visit for those looking for funky and retro finds.
Hands down one of the best night markets in Bangkok. It offers pretty much everything you’re looking for. From mouth watering street foods, bars, restaurants, tattoo parlors, nail parlors and etc. it basically has something to offer for every type of person. The best part of this place is the insanely huge thrift market at the back end. Amazing collection of clothes. You can easily spend a good 3-4 hours easily roaming this market.
Chojy K — Google review
The Srinagarindra Train Night Market, also known as Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin, offers a unique and authentic Bangkok experience, distinct from the more touristy markets. It's a massive open-air bazaar that is particularly famous for its vintage and retro atmosphere. The food scene at Srinagarindra is one of its biggest draws. You'll find a massive section dedicated to food stalls and restaurants offering a huge selection of local Thai cuisine. It's a great place to try a wide variety of dishes, including: Classic Thai street food: Pad Thai, curries, and various grilled meats. Seafood: An incredible array of fresh seafood, from grilled prawns and salted-grilled fish to unusual snacks like crispy shrimp heads. Unique dishes: Look out for oversized portions of noodle soup, various fried insects for the adventurous eater, and a wide selection of Thai desserts.
Gretchen C — Google review
One of my absolute favorite night markets in Bangkok. The atmosphere here is just perfect fewer tourists and a lot more locals, hanging out, eating, and enjoying the evening. You really feel the real Bangkok vibe here. There’s tons of food, from classic Thai street dishes to creative little snacks it’s the kind of place where you just keep tasting everything. Add live music, small cozy bars, and lots of second-hand corners, and it becomes the perfect mix. What makes it special are the old cars, vintage décor, and real flea-market finds instead of cheap souvenir stuff you often see elsewhere. Everything feels a bit improvised, but that’s exactly the charm of it. It’s a wonderful combination of food, music, nostalgia, and local life. If you want to experience Bangkok beyond the touristy markets, this is definitely the place. Best time to visit: Friday or Saturday night, when everything is fully alive. 👉 In short: authentic, lively, and full of character. A must-see for anyone who wants to feel the real Bangkok.

The Train Night Market, known locally as Talad Rot Fai, is one of Bangkok’s most iconic and vibrant night markets. Located behind Seacon Square on Srinakarin Road, this sprawling market offers a perfect blend of street food, vintage shopping, and local culture. Unlike tourist-heavy spots, Talad Rot Fai has a laid-back, authentic vibe that appeals to both locals and curious travelers. What makes this market stand out is its diverse mix of offerings. You’ll find rows of stalls selling vintage clothing, retro home decor, antiques, and handmade accessories. For collectors and fashion hunters, it’s a goldmine of unique finds. The food scene is equally impressive—think grilled meats, seafood, spicy salads, Thai desserts, and fun oversized dishes perfect for sharing. Bars with live music, quirky container-style cafés, and open-air seating areas give the market a festival-like atmosphere. The energy picks up after 7 PM, and the place truly comes alive with music, lights, and the delicious aroma of street food. Getting there requires a taxi or Grab ride, as it’s not directly accessible by BTS, but the experience is well worth the effort. It’s best to bring cash and arrive with an empty stomach and a sense of adventure. In short, Train Night Market is more than just a market—it’s a cultural experience, offering a fun, flavorful, and visually rich night out in Bangkok. A must-visit for anyone looking to dive into the city’s true street culture.

It was definitely the best night market I’ve visited so far in Bangkok! Very, very cheap, with lots of great and affordable food, and many inexpensive things to buy. I purchased many items and tried so much food. It’s far from the city center, but I went with a friend and a Grab ride cost us only 200 Bhat — so cheap! You should try the leng (beef tendon) and ribs. If you want to buy new or vintage things like clothes, shoes, and more, I think this is the cheapest place. 8,8/10. I’m Brazilian and have a travel agency in Peru — Cusco, Machu Picchu 🇧🇷🇵🇪 @dopkertravel. If you travel to Peru, I can help you! ✈️

transit station is incredibly clean, very beautiful sights, enjoyed my ride to downtown Bangkok. Everything has an english translation which made the travel easy for a non-thai speaker. I recommend the transit to any tourist looking for quick and relaxing journey. 🌸

Awesome night market, spread over a vast area and has everything for everyone. There’s plenty of food and drink options. It’s also a shoppers paradise for clothes, footwear, vintage art, leather goods and much more. There are many Instagram friendly spots to get your photos. Food options are good too with grills, juices, restaurants serving different cuisines. Restaurants also have live music playing and so over the weekend the place gets really crowded around 8 pm. Lot of parking but only if you get here by 7 pm after which it gets busy!
Gurudutt N — Google review
I didn’t get to walk around much because it was raining cats and dogs so a lot of shops wasn’t opened. Many vintage cars and motorcycles here. If you like these stuff then you will like this place.

Thai restaurant
Restaurant
In the heart of Bangkok's Old Town, Samsen Road is home to a delightful fresh-food market and Krua Apsorn @Dinso, a renowned Thai restaurant. Run by Chef Pa Dang, this establishment has been serving up delectable central and southern Thai dishes for over two decades. The menu features favorites like stir-fried crabmeat with long beans, lotus-stem curry, and deep-fried chicken wings.
Krua Apsorn is a legendary spot for a reason. The food is simply incredible every dish is a perfect balance of flavors. The crab meat is so fresh and the famous crab omelet is a must-order. It's a no-frills setting, but the food is fit for royalty. A definite highlight of my trip to Bangkok!
Vova K — Google review
A great place to eat if you're in the old town of Bangkok. Their crab omelette is excellent with a great amount of crab. We wanted to try the shrimp curry with lotus shoots but was informed that it could not be made less spicy, so we instead got the green curry with fish balls and it was quite good. We also had the pork with birds eye chili, but I felt it was a little too similar to the green curry as it had all the same vegetables.

My Absolute Favorite: Krua Apsorn – A Must-Try for Thai Food Lovers, Including Vegetarians! Krua Apsorn is hands down one of my all-time favorite restaurants. This beloved Thai eatery boasts a rich history of over 27 years, dedicated to sharing authentic Thai cuisine with everyone. Their focus is on presenting simple, heartwarming Thai dishes, with a core philosophy rooted in meticulous care and quality ingredients. While famous for classics like their incredibly flavorful Gaeng Lueang Lai Bua Goong Sod (yellow curry with lotus stems and fresh prawns), the aromatic Poo Pad Pong Karee (stir-fried crab with yellow curry powder), and the delightful Kai Poo (crab omelet), I particularly want to highlight their fantastic selection of delicious vegetarian dishes! They truly excel at crafting flavorful options for those who prefer plant-based meals, making it a great choice for diverse groups. Don't forget to finish your meal with their refreshing Coconut Ice Cream. While the restaurant doesn't have its own dedicated parking, there's paid parking available right next door, which is convenient. This place feels very local and authentic, yet it also attracts private tour groups of foreigners eager to sample its genuine flavors. Despite its popularity, the atmosphere is never chaotic, allowing for a pleasant dining experience. I highly, highly recommend Krua Apsorn for anyone looking for a truly authentic and delicious Thai dining experience, whether you're a meat-eater or a vegetarian!

Great place for dinner, it feels very authentic with little to no tourists. The prices are great for the amazing quality. The food was really good with nice flavours and everything came very fast. The staff was friendly although we got rushed since we arrived 15 minutes before closing (we didn't check the business hours). But still a very good experience that i can definitely recommend.

Good for Thai dishes. Need to wait for queues a while as it was quite busy especially at lunch time. The service is ok for local restaurant, inside the restaurant looked ok clean, got AC, but noisy. Lot of staffs but they all seemed busy. The food served pretty fast. You can also order take away one ( but rather eat at the restaurant to avoid some get spoiled as some ingredients were mixed with coconut milk) Highly recommended « Pu Lonn » the crab dipping sauce served with fresh vegetables. And “Mieng Kamm” The food was tasty. The price s a little bit pricy for local restaurant but worth to try as they used the quality product. No baby seating provided Car park by the restaurant ( 2 mins walk)
Nalinee Y — Google review
It feels like a restaurant loved by locals. The interior is air-conditioned and comfortable! It's more expensive than a food stall, but cheaper than a restaurant. It's clean and all the dishes are delicious. The crab omelette can't be compared to the one at the Ran Jai Fai restaurant, but it's still pretty tasty. It's 2/3 egg, so you can get a lot of protein. I love that the fish sauce contains both garlic and chili peppers to change the flavor.

When Bangkok empties out during the Songkran holiday, it’s a good time to visit famous eateries that are usually packed with locals and tourists. We took advantage of a much quieter Bangkok to visit Krua Apsorn last Thursday and what a good decision that was. Although we only ordered three dishes - seafood yum won seen (vermicelli salad), chicken fried rice, and stir fried telosma cordata flowers - they were sensational. The dishes stood out for their freshness, clean flavors, balance, and cooking perfection. They let the ingredients speak for themselves - a nice change from some eateries that often overdo the seasoning or cooking or spice. Not all Thai cuisine is hot and spicy. Next level home cooking is a good way to describe Krua Apsorn’s menu and finished product. Prices are also okay for this quality of food, and the restaurant’s global reputation (great reviews from The NY Times & Guardian & more). Often hyped eateries don’t live up to the reputation but this isn’t the case for Krua Apsorn and we’re already looking forward to our next visit to try their signature crab curry and crab omelette dishes.

I was craving for crab omelette and this place was the right place for me to enjoy it. Everything went perfectly! The omelette was so fluffy and yummy! The price was also reasonable.
