I want to taste corn not sugar. Breads were served with Margarine. Margarine should have died in the 90s real butter can't cost too awful much more. On the dinner menu, we ordered the shrimp crevice on the starter menu and the roasted chicken since we weren’t that hungry. The crevice is not your standard crevice. The coconut leche de poach sauce was unique and delicious. The only downside was that it came with only about 6 medium shrimps. It’s overpriced at $17. The ribs have the unfortunate death combo… dry and tough. The sauce here couldn’t even save the ribs. Whoever cooks these ribs should go to any of the top BBQ places in Austin to see what good ribs are like. Overall, I think this place is overpriced and they have a way more misses than hits. We were only 3 people but ordered enough for 7! 🤭 For starters, we tried the Smoked Shishito Queso w/ Brisket, it came with tostadas; also got their Chicken Karaage. Have to say the queso did not disappoint, was not spicy, flavors went great with pretty much everything we dipped into it. Chicken Karaage (which we order at every Japanese or fusion resto that has it) was surprisingly crispy, not oily, did not need the sauce it came with since we also dipped it in the queso. 😆 These came in the middle of the meal though. They started bringing the Sesame Rice noodles and Seaweed salad first. Noodles had a nice flavor, can’t say the same for the seaweed…to reminiscent of tropical summers when the tide was low and seaweed by the shore was roasting in the sun. Not the best aroma. The salads arrived, and we shared a Chilled Ginger Noodle Salad, I expected rice noodles so that was a bit disappointing, but still flavorful and topped with curry shrimp. Then the Char Siew Pork Belly in Lettuce wraps came, was ok, tasted better when I added the radish from another dish and topped it with queso (I’m telling you it’s great on anything). We also tried the Oak Smoked Grilled Steak rice bowl, which had the thin sliced radishes that went on the Lettuce wraps. What can I say, we like to complicate our food ☺️ Some of the sides we tried were the Coconut rice and Charred Broccoli. The coconut rice was m’kay, but was already full from all the veg, but the broccoli was nicely done, also great with queso. The smoked beef brisket was INCREDIBLE. The thickness of the cut was on the thinner side, but easy to cut and I couldnt get enough of the chili gastrique with the brisket it was *chefs kiss* awesome. But I must say the best part of the meal was the charred broccoli. The broccoli was cooked perfectly with crispy char on each piece and the spicy ponzu, chili crunch, and lemon zest make it an absolute stand out. Overall, it was an absolutely delicious and unique dining experience. I will be back soon to try more options on the menu. 10/10 Highly Recommend.

Went into the bathroom and no paper towel, then I looked at the ac vents and the one above the kitchen has mold! That is serious health violation, along with the returns that looked like they haven't been cleaned in years. This has probably been one of the worst food experiences I have had in years. ***Update*** 6/28 After getting a message from the GM Ashley and wanting to inquire more about my experience I can honestly say that my review has to change! Ashley and Brady showed true genuine interest in my experience and the second time around the food was great! The meatballs are a must!!! The artichoke dip was great; actually first time I have a dip that is not just cheese. Now the pizzas; The Heritage was finally made properly. Sauce and crust had the right amount of salt on both. The dough was moist enough it wasn't dry like the first time. The Smokey Pie needs work; the sweet BBQ sauce, along with the brisket, bacon and cheddar make it over powering. It's sweet over sweet over sweet. I would over a Spicy BBQ sauce (that's what I did when I got home, removed the one it had and added spicy) the flavour changed completely! Honestly if you guys offered a Spicy BBQ as an option you would probably sell 3 times as much. Pork is sweet in nature and when you add a sweet bbq sauce you are not balancing the flavors to give it a bit of salty. Also the vents were replaced making the place look cleaner along with perfectly clean bathroom.

Well, actually our great friends took us here and we are so excited to tell others. Being dairy free it's usually not my favorite to visit a pizza spot, but Heritage's dairy free cheese is delicious! I usually "build your own" with basic marinara sauce, dairy free cheese, then add spinach, garlic, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, brisket and all drizzled with hot honey. On my most recent trip I tried the Goat & Fig w/dairy free cheese & it's my new favorite! The kids either split a pizza or get their own depending on how hungry they are. Although we didn't order sodas or alcohol, they have an extensive beer list and some yummy drinks to choose from. My friend tried their lunch special and the salad was so large she didn't even touch her pizza. It is THIN crust, very thin and they cut all their pizzas, personal and large, into squares. So if you are a bread lover and your pizza needs to have a hefty crust, this is not your place - although I would challenge you to try it anyways, it's good! I appreciated the thinner crust, and the crunch was just right that I could fold my "middle" pieces so as to not get sauce all over my fingers and it held up nicely. The kids and I all finished our pizzas off and agreed we need to come back. BONUS! There is a playground literally next to the restaurant in a fenced in space between Heritage and the breakfast place next door.

The Nashville Hot fried chicken was excellent but unfortunately the bun was hard and dry which distracted from the sandwich. Maybe a little sauce would have helped? Every bite is incredible. The service is always top notch it's obvious a lot of time and care goes into training. The sushi is perfect with fun and unique twists. The salmon, sardine, and tuna loin were standouts tonight. The hama chili crudo and zero sen hamachi roll are both fantastic. They have really great hot items, too, like the portobello dumplings and the buns. On this visit, we had a katsu chicken bun with curry cole-slaw that was incredible. Simple things like their brussel sprouts are so good. Leave room for dessert. The fried milk and tapioca are not to be missed. They have a great happy-hour menu, too. We didn't get pics of everything we had, but you can see that everything is beautifully presented and made with such care. We truly love Uchiba!
