I tried their riverside punch (Kyoto cold brew with chai) and it was delicious. Well-balanced flavors and surprisingly refreshing But I am very disappointed in the baked goods. I ordered a fresh croissant at 9am and asked for it to be toasted, the croissant came completely stale and tasted like it had been left on the counter for a day. The dough was so tough and dry to chew and swallow. The waiter confirmed that it was fresh from bakery that they received in the morning. Truly unacceptable quality. I took a bite and told the waiter that it's inedible, he threw the croissant away but I still got charged (which I'm okay with). I had their brunch food in the past which I liked but this croissant puts me off and made me doubtful of their other food offerings. I will only return for drinks in the future. Baked goods should be fundamental of a boutique coffee shop. This is truly disappointing.

I went to visit their original location on Northwest Hwy. conveniently located right next to the Dallas Police Northwest Division. One, however, that really did catch my eye, was my all time-favorite: the White Rocker, which included two shots of espresso, whole milk, and their signature White Rock syrup. My friend on the other hand, got the Lone Star Latte — chai with a hint of that White Rock syrup that they put in there as well! 

Because of their roastery, all of their coffee beans are sourced from local partners and cooked and roasted right here in the heart of Dallas. I’m just really glad that I was able to really catch up with the times that there are, honestly. I’ll definitely be back to visit more whenever I’m in the DFW! Y’all have my support! :)

Note that they do have an upstairs area but it gets rather warm there. We came in the evening and the place was almost empty, but there was a quiet ambience filled with chatter we appreciated. We ordered a variety of pastries and drinks were happy to say that we enjoyed them all! The cinnamon roll was very fluffy and sweet, but definitely a fork and knife affair. It was so rich that I probably couldn’t finish one by myself, but I enjoyed sharing it with my friends. The pan au chocolat was great! Incredibly flaky crust with a decadent chocolate center. The peach smoothie was very refreshing, very fresh tasting and good peach presence. The matcha latte was great, not overwhelmingly sweet and still upheld the matcha flavor. Neither the mocha or the espresso lemonade were great, but that could be up to personal preference. Overall, the drinks here are good, but nothing to write home about. I had been wanting to visit for the longest time and it did not dissapoint. I ordered the Tres Leches Iced Latte and a Churro pastry and it was delicious. The latte was not as sweet as I had thought it would be but still good! Definitely going back.

It's not necessarily that I hated it with all my heart and soul, like I thought at first, but I was just confused and intrigued. I kept it and sipped on it for about 30 minutes too, so it is definitely intresting and nothing like you have ever tried before, so get it and an extra coffee as well just in case. This will be my new go to coffee spot, and I claim dibs on that bench in the corner hahaha.
