Eating at Comfort Kitchen has been on my food list for quite sometime as I do not live in Boston and when I knew I was going to be in town I immediately made reservations. Reservations fill up fast and now I see why. The idea behind the restaurant is what is so interesting and the added history of the restaurant location make it even more special. I started off with the Sour Sumac, which was delightful and very tasty. My appetizer was the Okra, this is not your average Okra. This was backed with flavor and was not slimy at all. I have never had Okra that was not slimy until yesterday. My main was the Jerk Duck, this is an absolute must! It was so tender, juicy and the jerk rub was spot on. As a foodie who travels the world eating at the best restaurants around the globe I see why Comfort Kitchen wins awards. I had the pleasure of sitting at the bar and can see the action on the kitchen. It was truly a beautiful dance to create amazing food. To actually see Chef Biplaw actually around the restaurant was a true joy. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

The yuca fries were pretty good but I have preference for sauce on the side rather than over fries and I know to ask for that next time. For our mains our waiter suggested the jerk duck and my partner said she doesn't usually order duck but this was one of the best duck dishes she's ever had. It fell off the bone and the flavor was incredible. I got the cauliflower and it was pretty good and definitely a lot of cauliflower. Like a half a head of cauliflower.
