We were drawn to the unit because of the water views, but after the first week of being here, we definitely wish we had viewed the building and similar units beforehand. While the maintenance crew are really nice, the quality and ongoing maintenance of the unit is terrible: the washer/dryer are really small, the finishings are cheap and not functional (master bathroom in our 2-bed is half the size of the guest bathroom with very little storage options, the kitchen is small and the cabinets are cheaply made), the floor boards regularly come apart, the closet doors constantly come off the track and are kept in place by a flimsy bracket and the sound proofing is mediocre at best. As far as overall service, Caleb (concierge) is amazing and has been so helpful to us, but it stops with him. If you go to a Related building, the staff go out of their way to help you and they know you by name. Concierge at the Eddy is really just a front desk meant to manage packages. Garbage disposal is also inconvenient. The maintenance team at our last building managed boxes placed in the garbage rooms, whereas the Eddy disallows this. Residents are expected to bring them downstairs to a separate room.
