大変前衛的で、好きな人にはたまらないと思いますが、私は質的にも量もぜんぜんもの足りずに、消化不良でした。もっと、一般の人間にも満足を得られる美術館であってほしいです。例えば、ニューヨークやパリのようになってほしいと思いました。

展示は、好みによると思います。学芸員がこれまで見た美術館以上に多い印象です。そんなに広いわけではないので、時間は短かくすみます

現代アート美術館です。近くで時間が空いたため入ってみたのですが、現代アートに明るくなくあまり楽しめませんでした。 規模もニューヨークのMOMAとは比較にならないくらい小さいので、あいた時間で眺めるくらいがちょうど良いです。

近くに来たのでせっかくなので寄ってきました。 悲しいことに私にはイマイチ良さが分かりませんでした。 こういうのが好きな人が来る場所であって、私のような詳しく無い人間が適当に寄るには不向きなのかもしれないです。

草間彌生の展示があったので行きました。 他の展示物に関しては素人の私にはあまり理解出来なかったのと、思った以上に展示数が少ないように感じました。

広く美しい中庭を中心に、豪邸を回りながら世界中の展示物を鑑賞できる素晴らしい美術館です。全てが個人で収集していた美術品と聞きましたが、とても信じられないほどの数と素晴らしさです。世界最大規模の盗難事件が起きたことでも知られています。 美しい中庭は一見の価値あるので、近くにあるボストン美術館と共に訪れることをぜひお勧めします。

どこを切り取っても美しいので、何時間でも滞在できるほど魅力的。

ボストン在住の日本人ならボストン美術館と同じ様に一度は訪れているとの事なので５回目にして初めて来てみました。 人数制限をしているのでWEB予約して$5位とBOS美術館より時間も財布にも優しく、多少値は張るが食事も出来る。 専用パーキングは無いが路上パーキングは20〜30分公園の周りを回っていればタイミング良ければ停められる。90分＄4？だったかな。 子供は退屈するから大人向け。

ISGの熱意というか狂気にも思える収集品と建築です。興味深いのは収集当時のアイテムの価格が相当安かったことで、現在では個人でこれだけのものを集めるのは相当難しいでしょう。 なお、数年前まであったレッドソックス関連の品を身に着けていると割引というのはなくなりました。

絵の展示枚数は、mfaと比較にはなりません。自然光の下、古い館で見る貴重な絵画も価値がありますが、もう少しいっぱい見たいですね。2度目の訪問でしたが、私はコンディションの良い光の下で、十分なスペースを与えられた絵画をゆっくりと時間をかけて見る方が好きです。中庭の植物はきれいに整えられ、絵画の鑑賞で疲れている目を癒してくれるのは、とても素晴らしいと思います。

小規模だけど素敵な美術館です。中庭が奇麗なのが印象に残っています。日本の作品もたくさんあります。あまり系統だっての展示ではないので建物、庭、作品の調和を楽しんでください。
