Train station
Tokyo Station is situated in the old downtown area of the city, known as Shitamachi, which dates back to the 17th century. It is home to the Imperial Palace, Marunouchi business district, and upscale Ginza shopping and entertainment area. The neighborhood offers a more serene atmosphere compared to other trendy districts like Shinjuku and Shibuya. The station serves as a primary entry point for travelers arriving via Shinkansen or Narita Express.
By far the most intricate and very well designed section of the Tokyo Metropolitan area. This building was very popular with crowds and still offered many great locations for shopping and dinning. The bustle of the building was very quick but the directions were almost always in English. This is a must see in Tokyo!
Kyle M — Google review
Tokyo Station is more than just a transportation hub—it is a historical and architectural landmark that represents the heart of Tokyo’s rail network. Conveniently located in the Marunouchi district, this station serves as a central gateway to the rest of Japan, connecting local JR lines, subways, and the Shinkansen (bullet trains) to major cities across the country. One of the most striking aspects of Tokyo Station is its beautifully restored red-brick Marunouchi building, originally opened in 1914. The Renaissance-style architecture stands in charming contrast to the ultra-modern skyline that surrounds it. Inside, the design pays homage to its history while incorporating modern amenities and world-class efficiency. Beyond transportation, Tokyo Station is a destination in itself. The underground shopping complex—Gransta and Tokyo Character Street—offers everything from gourmet bentos and local delicacies to exclusive souvenirs and character goods. Whether you’re a traveler or commuter, the station delivers a seamless experience with clear signage in English and other languages, clean facilities, and exceptional service. Tokyo Station also provides direct access to important business and cultural districts, including the Imperial Palace, Marunouchi’s upscale offices and boutiques, and nearby Nihonbashi. Its connectivity and location make it an ideal base for both tourists and professionals. Despite the hustle and complexity, the station is surprisingly navigable once familiarized, thanks to its efficient layout and helpful staff. It’s advisable to allow extra time during your first visit, especially if you’re catching a Shinkansen or transferring between platforms. In summary, Tokyo Station is not only an architectural gem but also a marvel of Japanese engineering and organization. It exemplifies Japan’s attention to detail, respect for history, and commitment to quality service—making it a must-experience landmark in the capital.
Tan P — Google review
Tokyo Station seamlessly blends historic charm with modern efficiency. Its grand red-brick Marunouchi facade dates back to 1914 and was meticulously restored in 2012, complete with elegant domes and neo-Baroque details—including eagle and zodiac sculptures. It’s a must-see landmark in the heart of Tokyo.
Arif A — Google review
5 stars for the station, 3 stars for user errors! First-time visitors—use Google Maps! The Metro and Train stations are stacked, and it can be daunting for newcomers. After one night (and three hours getting lost solo), one day facing my travel traumas, and another day making only minor mistakes—I finally feel confident I won’t get lost again. It’s very complex for foreigners, yet incredibly organized and impressive. Pro tip: No talking on any rail system. It’s part of their culture to respect communal spaces—even if you’re shoulder to shoulder with five strangers during rush hour. A must-experience—unless tight spaces and touching strangers aren’t your thing.
Sarah S — Google review
Crowded station confusing for foreigners, but the best to board a speedtrain (shinkanzen) or to go to Narita. For shinkanzen or bus to Narita ask the taxi to go to Yaesu side. For Narita express train you have to go to the opposite Marinouchi side! Be at the station well in advance. Speedtrains to various destinations depart every 10-15 min, do not bother with seat reservation. Nozomi cars 1-2 are not reserved, 1-6 Hikari, Kodama. You can board Nozomi with railpass (no check onboard). Every car has luggage space for large suitcases behind the first/last seat row. There are small waiting rooms with AC and small shops on the platforms. Buses to Narita depart from the Yeasu side bus station stand No 7 every 10 min (1500 JPY). Tickets are not sold in advance, same day tickets only. At nearby counter booth you can pay in cash or card. To buy ticket on the bus you need IC Suica! For Narita express train it is best to buy in advance (reserved seat needed) at a machine assisted by staff, as it is tricky for foreigners (as online). The machines for Narita train tickets are placed on both sides of the station. Crossing from one side of the station to the other is a long walk (10 min) in crowd, so arrive at the suitable side.
Jiri K — Google review
A huzzle and buzzle but practical station nearly 4 Millingen passengers pass by here every day the front is japo european style and the set up already was big. It is nearby the imperial palace and contains many shops lugguge lockers are harder to find that is to so say available ones

Think of Tokyo Station as a city-sized living room: busy, tasteful, and somehow totally cozy once you slow down. The moment you step into the Marunouchi side, the red-brick façade and old-school domes give the place a gentle, storybook vibe — like a train station that knows how to dress up for its own welcome party. How to spend a relaxing hour there: - Start with coffee: pop into a café in the station or the nearby KITTE building. Sip slowly and watch commuters weave past — it’s oddly calming. - Take a short stroll around the Marunouchi plaza and Gyoko-dori avenue. The tree-lined walk faces the Imperial Palace grounds and feels unexpectedly peaceful in the middle of the city. - Explore the station’s little worlds: Gransta and First Avenue Tokyo Station are full of tiny shops. Character Street has fun, colorful stores if you want something playful. Ekibenya Matsuri and the ekiben counters are perfect for picking a boxed lunch — buttery tamago, grilled fish, or regional specialties. - Find a bench or a quiet corner and watch trains. There’s something meditative about the rhythm of arrivals and departures, from local lines to the sleek Shinkansen flashing by. - If you want a green pause, head up to the KITTE rooftop garden for a skyline break and a soft breeze — great for thinking or scrolling through photos. Little things that make it nicer: - Go early or later in the evening to avoid peak rush-hour crowds. - Keep a few small bills for shops and vending kiosks. - Wear comfy shoes — there’s a lot to walk, but also many spots to sit. - Don’t rush: pick one or two small things to enjoy (a special ekiben, a short museum stop at the Tokyo Station Gallery, or a rooftop moment) rather than trying to do everything. Leave with a full belly and a sense that the city can be both energetic and gentle — Tokyo Station is a perfect place to feel that balance. Want specific cafés, ekiben recommendations, or a quick map to the rooftop garden? I can pull those up for you.

Enjoyed four Shinkansen (Bullet Train) rides in Japan : Tokyo to Hiroshima, Hiroshima to Shin-Osaka, Shin-Osaka to Nagoya and Nagoya to Tokyo. Tokyo station on the Marunouchi Square is an iconic heritage red brick building surrounded by skyscrapers. Navigating Tokyo station to find the correct platform to board the Shinkansen is itself a big task.

Hotel
Nestled in the upscale area of west Shinjuku, Park Hyatt Tokyo offers luxurious rooms and suites, some featuring breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. The hotel provides a serene retreat from the bustling city, with a complimentary shuttle to Shinjuku Station. Made famous by its appearance in Lost in Translation, this five-star hotel boasts elegant rooms with stunning vistas of the city lights and walk-in closets.
Service is impeccable. The rooms are spotless. The Japanese breakfast is a delicious and bountiful feast--so much so that you may be full until dinnertime. This may be the only downside. You won't be able to enjoy the great food that the city has to offer. The rooms, furniture and lighting do feel a bit...older, but not in a bad way. I enjoyed the 90s feel to it, like entering a time capsule. Unlike other hotels in which this would be a negative, there was a quiet luxurious charm to it all. Go to the swimming pool. Skip the NY bar.
Ted L — Google review
Our stay at the Park Hyatt Tokyo was memorable. The service was outstanding, staff were attentive, and always made us feel welcome. The room was on the smaller side, but it was very comfortable, spotless, and had an incredible view of the city. The design and details made it feel cozy and special, even without a lot of space. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a calm, elegant atmosphere. The restaurants and New York Grill & Bar are great, having a drink with the skyline view is a must. The location is excellent, Overall, Park Hyatt Tokyo combines luxury and hospitality.

This was the first stop on our honeymoon to Japan and Korea and it did not disappoint. The hotel is gorgeous and the views are incredible. They upgraded us and had gifts for us, which included champagne, flowers, and a framed photo of us. The service was the best of the hotels we were at. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The gym is amazing, too. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Staying as a Globalist at this property on points/SUA. Amazing service throughout my stay. Lots of pros, some cons. Do note the property is going through a big renovation after May 6, 2024 and not reopening for 18+ months. Staying in the lovely Park Suite, which has a dining table/4 chairs, and a living room area all in the same room, with another center round table with sofas and sofa seats. Japan hotels also have a huge list of items they can give to you complimentary which is really nice. Suite was a huge room, with a living room and a table to dine on. The bathroom was also huge with a tub, wall in shower, Dyson hairdryer, and nice Toto bidet. Breakfast was included for Globalists and it was outstanding. The service at the restaurant was amazing and had a wonderful selection. Where it shines is the room service was also included and presented really well. They were professional every morning and let us order anything off the menu, without even a bill to sign. The pool and fitness area were also really nice, and Globalists also got access to their spa. I did not spend that much time there, but it had nice views of the city.

I was fortunate to have a 2 night stay at the Park Hyatt Tokyo before it closed for renovations. Globalist and used a SUA for a park suite. The room was large with a separate living room and bedroom and had a view of Mt Fuji when clear. Service was very good and the staff went above and beyond helping me with my proposal. The hotel while dated was impeccably clean and well maintained. The highlight of the stay was using the facilities at the club on the Park every morning, best hotel gym and spa I've been in. Hopefully they can update the hotel without changing too much. I really appreciate everything the hotel did helping with my engagement.
William S — Google review
Had been dreaming to stay a night here and had the chance as we celebrated my friends birthday. The staff were welcoming, warm and so helpful. The room was grand and comfortable and smelled like a dream. We had the opportunity to use a suite upgrade certificate and so glad we did. We were placed in the Park Suite King. Aesop amenities for the bathroom. Stocked bar and snacks (for a charge of course) but added to the atmosphere. The hotel is starting revocations and excited to return to see the hotel reborn. Also had dinner at New York Grill with amazing views and food.
Garit R — Google review
The best ever! Incredible service and large perfect rooms. The most elegant, original, and perfect design. From the rooms to hallways and an unbelievable spa. Don’t listen to what anything negative anyone says, it’s the best if you want a unique hotel with insanely elegant design and fab service. Will never forget.

An absolutely incredible stay at this hotel. Everyone makes you feel like royalty. The customer service was beyond my expectations. The rooms are huge with a fantastic bathroom. The view is unbeatable. The famous New York Bar from the movie Lost In Translation was amazing. Live jazz music and fantastic cocktails. The breakfast was very delicious. On a clear day we could see Mount Fuji. Thanks so much for the wonderful time here.

Nestled in the historic Nihonbashi district, Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo is a luxurious high-rise hotel offering stunning city views and top-notch amenities. The hotel boasts 10 restaurants, including three Michelin-starred options, and an upscale spa. The lavish decor features textiles and weavings crafted by Japanese artisans using traditional techniques.
I had an amazing stay at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff at the concierge. They were not only professional but also extremely helpful, answering my question and sending my luggage go my room. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Best of all, my west-facing room let me catch stunning sunsets each evening—such a lovely little luxury that made the space feel extra special. The hotel's breakfast spread was outstanding. The restaurant is located at 38/F with a nice view. There was a wide variety of options, from fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes like eggs and bacon. The coffee was also excellent, a great way to start the day. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's close to many restaurants, shops, and public transportation. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo was absolutely unreal. From the moment we arrived, every detail was perfectly thought out. The level of service, the atmosphere, and the genuine care shown by the staff made this experience truly exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to Valentina and Chikana Kigami, who both went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out and made us feel so welcome. The hotel is incredibly lucky to have them on the team! From the breathtaking city views to the flawless service and thoughtful touches throughout, everything about this stay exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to come back, it was truly a five-star experience in every way.

My friends and I enjoyed afternoon tea service here on Halloween and it was an absolutely luxurious and magical experience. I've been to many afternoon tea services around the world and this one was easily the best I've ever been to. The ambiance was beautiful, the staff was incredibly polite and attentive, and the tea offerings were delicious and varied. The Halloween theming on the pastries was particularly adorable!! What blew me away most of all, however, was how thoroughly the staff attended to my specific dietary restrictions. I was contacted well in advance, my exact restrictions were noted and clarified, and a completely alternative tower was custom made for me. Completely unrelated to the tea service, I had to make an unexpected health-related request, which was immediately and thoroughly accommodated with the utmost respect and kindness. I truly was not expecting this degree of service, especially as I was not a guest of the hotel, and I was so touched! I highly recommend the afternoon tea service and I hope to stay in this lovely establishment the next time I visit Tokyo :)

We went to the Pizza bar on 38 and that was AMAZING! If you are able to get a table: its such a great experience. Highly recommended Also the bar on 37th floor is out of this world. Great cocktails and mocktails. Staff of the hotel are just so lovely and everyone we talked to or interacted with was friendly. Overall the best experience of our holiday!
Danielle P — Google review
Ahh I really wanted to like this hotel, I would give it a 3.5/5 if possible tbf. Stayed here for 7 nights. Biggest callout was definitely the service which was hit or miss. For example the french (?) gentleman who usually answered our room service calls is amazing! You'd think he owned the restaurant with how attentive and charming he was. But other staff could seem disinterested, and average, not what you'd expect from a MO in asia which are known for high class service. Random example: the woman who sat us at breakfast one morning forced my gf to go change her shoes (out of the hotel provided slippers) due to "safety" despite other guests wearing the same slippers at the buffett. Room was decent, okay size but for the tier of hotel and the price it was just average. Dated finishes, a single sink and inefficient use of space compared to somewhere of similar price like The Peninsula. Great views from the 36th floor really was the saving grace for an average room. The special Halloween themed high tea was great, which actually let us leave on a high note. Idk.. the place was nice but if we didn't get a big discount due to their 20 yr anniversary our room would've been over $1500 a night which to me is crazy. For similar price I'd 100% say stay at The Peninsula, or try one of the Four Seasons properties.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a wonderful hotel and definitely worth the price…especially if you value staying in your room and appreciate well-trained, attentive staff. However, a major drawback for me was the time limit to access the spa and gym. At this price point, I don’t think it makes sense to restrict guests to just a few hours of use. Part of what justifies paying for a luxury hotel is the ability to enjoy the facilities freely throughout the stay, without having to treat them like scheduled appointments. When you’re paying a premium, the experience should feel seamless, not monitored or rationed.

From the moment we arrived we had a 5 star experience. We booked the MO on our way out of Japan after two weeks of touring around the country for our 15 year wedding anniversary. This was our final treat on a wonderful trip. Right when we checked in we were escorted to our room, shortly after were brought a tray of fresh fruit that felt so personal and thoughtful. That evening we had a couples massage with full use of the spa beforehand. The spa was gorgeous with views that no words could do justice. The massages were phenomenal with the utmost attention to the details provided and care to make sure we were comfortable and felt relaxed. This was one of the best spa experiences we’ve have ever had. Once our spa treatment was over we didn’t have anything planned for dinner as we had been traveling all day, however, the spa called down to one of the restaurants to get us a last minute reservation to Senses (which was delicious). We had such a relaxing evening and slept lake a baby in such comfortable beds. The following day we had afternoon tea in the lounge that I had previously booked. The front desk held our bags while we enjoyed tea, as we were headed to the airport shortly after. Afternoon tea was a whole experience, with a wonderful presentation. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and helpful in every way. None other compares. Wonderful experience.

The most beautiful hotel with top views in Tokyo, when I first arrived, I really liked their lobby, it was clean, fragrant, and magnificent. Their rooms are also big and I got a very clean room and the bathroom was magnificent. It feels like it's not enough if I only stay here for 3 days 🥹....the food in their restaurant has no failed products, everything is delicious until I'm addicted. They deserve to be called a 5-star and luxurious hotel in Tokyo.

HOSHINOYA Tokyo is a unique blend of a luxury hotel and traditional ryokan, offering modern Japanese furnishings and facilities. Located in central Tokyo, it provides easy access to famous landmarks like Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace. The hotel features streamlined rooms, a French/Japanese restaurant, tatami mat flooring, futon mattresses, and Ochanoma lounges on each floor for guests to relax with tea or sake.
This hotel is Amazing. We stayed here for 6 nights during our trip to japan and it was 100% worth it. They give you a huge discount for longer stays. Their rooms have a great design and layout, the staff was very helpful and nice. Located next to a subway station, 7/11, and right near Ginza. The Onsen is amazing. If you are staying for a long time in Tokyo, book this hotel. You won’t regret it. We felt super comfortable and would 100% come back again on our next trip.

Great hotel. Excellent location. Accommodations are ample, clean, and distinctively Japanese. Above all the staff and service were exceptional. We loved the Japanese breakfast and abundant snacks in the lounge. The onsen was amazing. Eager to bring the rest of our family to experience Tokyo and the Hoshinoya.
Mark B — Google review
For the price ($1200/night) and the way this hotel is marketed, I was expecting a true 5-star experience, but it was far from that. First red flag: they charged 10,000 yen per hour for early check-in before 3pm — something I’ve never seen at any genuine luxury hotel. Housekeeping was extremely minimal. They only made the bed and replaced towels, but didn’t actually clean the bathroom or tidy the room. There was also no water replenishment in the room; we had to go outside just to refill our bottles, which is unacceptable for a supposedly high-end property. The room lighting was very dim, making it hard to see or do anything comfortably. And the onsen was nothing like the photos — it looked more like a regular jacuzzi than a relaxing hot spring experience. Overall, this hotel is nowhere near 5-star standards. Based on service, amenities, and value for money, I’d say it’s a 2-star experience at best. Definitely not worth the price.
Toan N — Google review
I would give five stars for this outstanding unique hotel. We enjoyed the stay but two nights was enough. For our personal taste, what we did not like is the lack of windows and daylight. Also, It felt odd to eat breakfast alone in a space that seemed the basement. I must say that once in our suite, I felt good and very relaxing, but for the rest, like I said above, it missed daylight.

A true gem in Tokyo – tradition and luxury perfectly united September 2025 We have now stayed at Hoshinoya Tokyo for the third time, and we are still absolutely thrilled. This hotel is a true masterpiece that perfectly blends traditional Japanese culture and modernity. Every stay is, for us, a unique experience from start to finish – carried by warm service, top quality, and an incomparable atmosphere. What especially moved us this time was that, as tattooed guests, we were now able to enjoy the onsen without any restrictions. The hot spring baths on the rooftop, surrounded by Tokyo’s sea of clouds, are an unparalleled retreat. The moment of lying in the warm water while gazing at the vast sky above the city was unforgettable for us, an expression of true hospitality that transcends cultural boundaries. In the evening, we experienced another highlight: on the heliport of the neighboring building, we were able – as we had already done in the morning the previous year – to take part in an authentic Kenjutsu demonstration, with nothing less than the Tokyo Tower in the background. This fusion of culture, tradition, and breathtaking scenery makes the Hoshinoya experience so uniquely rich and exceptional. For us, Hoshinoya Tokyo is far more than a hotel – it is a place of deep relaxation, living tradition, and loving attention to detail. It was the perfect conclusion to an unforgettable trip to Japan, and we already know: a fourth return will not be long in coming.

Hoshinoya Hotel — a true Japanese experience in the heart of Tokyo, highly recommended. The staff is professional and kind, and the property itself is beautiful. I suggest visiting the onsen several times — a real paradise. I also recommend trying the Japanese breakfast at least once; delicious, though a bit heavy if eaten every day. Very reccomanded
Gianmarco I — Google review
I feel the recent reviews for this hotel are quite misleading and almost let us to cancel our booking. It is absolutely NOT true that there are issues with cleanliness or smell. The complaints about breakfast are unfair as they make clear at every point that breakfast is not included in the base rate and needs to be pre-specified. The interior design is very impressive. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The onsen on the roof is pretty amazing. The main downsides are lack of external views, you look out on other tall buildings, so generally most the windows are covered. As has been alluded to, the service is not optimal. I found the staff relatively hard to communicate with, and seems poorly trained. They have quite convoluted systems for check in/check out, luggage storage, shoe storage that are pretty just too complicated for the average traveler. The location is a bit strange basically in a very financial themed skyscraper, and it is not super close to relevant attractions or useful stations. I definitely think overall this is a very nice place to stay I just cannot give it my highest possible recommendation.
Sam K — Google review
After a 13+ hour flight, Hoshinoya Tokyo was the perfect sanctuary. This modern ryokan offers a peaceful, refined experience in the heart of the city. From the moment you enter, shoes are left at the door and you’re welcomed by calming tatami mat floors and minimalist yet luxurious design. The rooms are beautifully understated with thoughtful touches — one standout was the glass bathroom wall that fogs over with the push of a button for privacy. The onsen on the top floor is a real highlight, especially after a long flight. It’s serene, clean, and beautifully designed — a rare retreat in such a busy city. (Photos aren’t allowed, but it’s something you truly need to experience in person.) Hoshinoya Tokyo perfectly blends tradition and innovation. I’ll absolutely be returning the next time I’m in Tokyo. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and tranquil stay. For more reviews and recommendations follow @frxnfltz on TikTok and instagram.

Nestled in Tokyo's second-tallest building, The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo offers luxurious accommodations with breathtaking views of the city. Situated above Tokyo Midtown in the lively Roppongi district, this upscale hotel boasts top-notch dining options including contemporary French cuisine and Japanese fare. Guests can enjoy complimentary access to the health club featuring an indoor lap pool and indulge in spacious guest rooms with impressive vistas of Mt. Fuji, Imperial Palace gardens, or Tokyo Tower.
I had the pleasure of staying at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo during two different visits in June 2025, and both experiences were simply outstanding. From the moment you arrive, you’re met with world-class hospitality — the bellmen deliver unparalleled service, and the concierge team sets the standard for excellence with their attention to detail and thoughtful recommendations. The city skyline views from both the rooms and the Club Lounge are absolutely breathtaking — a mesmerizing mix of elegance and energy that captures Tokyo’s spirit perfectly. The Club Lounge, in particular, is a highlight: serene, beautifully designed, and offering exquisite food and beverages throughout the day. Every detail at this property embodies five-star perfection. From its incredible location to the flawless service, The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo remains, without question, the best hotel in Tokyo.
KSCal — Google review
Best to avoid. High cost and low service level, especially at the reception. Even as a platinum guest the experience was totally below expected. No club lounge and no free breakfast for Platinum, room upgrades just to next tier, never to a suite. I understand this is hotel policy but does not mean it makes any sense, plus the service too sucks. Not sure why one should be paying so much money to stay at this place. The staff at the reception needs coaching in service, hard to imagine this in Japan but here we are. The breakfast has limited option. 3 types of eggs are 3 different main dish options..scrambled, omelette and fried is three different main course option to give you the illusion of choice. Most top hotels (even 4 star) would just give you egg any style as one single option. Such a limited breakfast spread for a high end property, very underwhelming. If you are willing to spend this much, go to other 5 star properties. This one is all brand and no value.

Afternoon Tea at The Ritz-Carlton (Business Use Review) Positives ・The overall quality of both food and beverages was excellent. Everything tasted refined and well-prepared, with beautiful presentation. ・The tea selection was diverse and paired nicely with the dishes. ・Although I did not confirm the actual price, if the cost were around 6,000 JPY per person, it would feel like good value for the experience. It is likely higher in reality, but still justifiable considering the quality. Areas for Improvement ・The iced tea served at the beginning was noticeably inconsistent. The color and appearance varied so much between glasses that they looked like completely different teas. Some were rich and well-balanced, while others looked pale and watered down, almost as if ice had already melted. When we asked if they were the same tea, the staff simply replied, “Yes, it’s the same,” without offering any explanation or adjustment, even after we mentioned how weak it was. ・Service quality was inconsistent. For example, while we were still enjoying baked goods and naturally wanted something to drink, three out of four cups were taken away. This made the experience less smooth, even though most of the service overall was pleasant. Note: The attached photos do not represent the full selection of items served. They show dishes specifically prepared for guests with egg and milk allergies

I wish I could live here forever. The Ritz Tokyo is really something special and made our honeymoon a dream of epic proportions. From the very beginning you are blown away by the elevation, both literally and figuratively, of the experience. They take hospitality to a new level with the whole experience catered and curated to ensure a positive experience. We wound up upgrading the second half of our stay to a club lounge room and my only regret was not doing it sooner. It pays huge dividends to your overall experience and the treatment is unlike anywhere else. Nothing beats waking up to breakfast overlooking all of Tokyo and a straight shot view of Mt Fuji. The rooms, service, food, amenities and experiences offered are second to none. The longer you are there the harder it is to return from vacation. Above and beyond surpassing all expectations, the team you interact with take hospitality to a whole new level. I have to give special shout to our friend Yusuke who was tremendously helpful at check in, came to say hello and chit chat while ensuring our utmost experience whenever we passed by. Mizuki was also super nice and easy to work with while switching rooms mid trip and ensured we got the best possible room for our level, really went above and beyond. And to Toshi in the club lounge who was tremendously compassionate and thoughtful in providing guidance and support on what we were looking to get out of our experience and just always a pleasure to speak with while in the lounge. If I were to boil it down, these 3 people were enough to make us want to come back asap. Take care of them, cause they are some of this hotels best assets. If you’re looking for luxury, escape, and a divine accommodations in Tokyo, look no further than the Ritz Carlton.

The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo (Dec 31 – Nov 2 Stay) My wife and I spent the final leg of our Japan trip at The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo for our honeymoon, and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. The service was outstanding—consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. The team made us feel welcomed throughout our stay. We stayed on a Club Lounge floor, which I highly recommend. The breakfast and lunch offerings were excellent, with great variety and quality, and the lounge staff provided exceptional hospitality. We also made full use of the lap pool, steam room, and sauna. Each facility was spotless, relaxing, and very well maintained, making it easy to unwind after busy days in the city. The location was extremely convenient as the property is directly connected to the subway station, which made getting around Tokyo effortless. One note to mention: while the rooms were comfortable and well kept, the design and furnishings are on the older side and feel somewhat dated. A refresh in the near future would elevate the overall experience even further. Overall, The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo delivered the luxury, comfort, and top-tier hospitality we hoped for on our honeymoon. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

I don’t get it. I’ve always wanted to stay at a Ritz Carlton and now that I’ve done it I don’t get it. I’ve stayed at many different properties in many different countries and I can’t tell difference between a Ritz and say, JW Marriott. In fact, I’d put JW above the Ritz. As a Marriott Platinum Elite member you don’t get any benefits (breakfast, Lounge.) That’s fine, but the service overall and rooms are quite average. This is shocking considering this hotel is in Japan, where even lower end properties have superb. I typically make sure not to write a review immediately after a poor customer experience (there were a couple at this property) but now that I’ve had time to contemplate the overall experience I’d still say…I just done get it. There are many other brands out there that will give you better experience (and certainly better value)

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel about a week ago. The views are breath-taking from above the 45th floor where all the rooms are... The service was excellent - special shoutout to the breakfast crew as not only was the spread amazing between the Japanese and western options but also the service was top-notch and both at the restaurant and throughout the hotel the staff could not have been more kind or hospitable. The room was also spacious and comfortable.

I had an amazing stay here. The entire team, from the door & bell staff to the front desk and housekeeping, was consistently warm, welcoming, and very professional. Everyone went out of their way to make my visit easy and comfortable. A special thank you to Tanaka and Yuma in the concierge team who were both very helpful throughout my stay. I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to Miyu, who was often in the reception area. She always greeted me with a smile, checked to see if I needed anything, and made me feel at home. Her kindness truly stood out and made my stay memorable. The room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious with great views. The location was perfect and very convenient to the train with plenty of great places to eat nearby. Overall, the hospitality was excellent. I would happily stay here again.

Muji Hotel Ginza is a casual and informal hotel located on the top floors of Muji's flagship store in Tokyo. The hotel embodies Muji's anti-cheap, anti-gorgeous ethos with its minimalist and well-executed design. The rooms are apartment-like, featuring narrow but long layouts with simplistic designs. Some rooms include well-stocked bookcases or traditional tatami mats and futons.
I absolutely loved our two nights stay at the hotel. The rooms are very clean and in typical Muji style. It was exactly as I expected it to be and I loved it. Our room was exactly as described and we really liked the interior. Rooms very quiet and the beds were so comfortable. We slept very well, like sleeping on a cloud. Staff were very nice and thoughtful. We were given little oils to put in the diffuser which was a nice touch. The breakfast and the snacks in the evening were a nice and welcome addition. Breakfast had western and Asian options. Oh, and you get to keep the slippers. We will definitely be staying here again when in Tokyo. We booked through Muji directly which was a bit cheaper than using booking agents. Thank you for making our time in Tokyo even better.
Verena B — Google review
The service here is extremely lacking and has declined since my first visit two years ago. This was my third time staying here. The price they charge ($450/night) does not match the quality of service provided. Seating was minimal, and the reception area was cluttered with bags, taking up a lot of space. I was not allowed to use the lounge area, even though it opens to the public at 4 PM, which left guests without anywhere to rest or recharge between lunch and lounge service. I will not stay here again when I return to Tokyo. The only pro was the location. The hotel is in the heart of Ginza, which means we had easy access to restaurants, public transportation, and a lot of shopping.

I stayed at the Muji Hotel and overall it was a pleasant experience. Everything is spotless, impeccable cleanliness, a perfectly maintained bathroom, very soft towels, and lovely Muji products available. The atmosphere is wonderfully calm with no noise at all. The bed, despite its beautiful cotton sheets, was unfortunately not comfortable, which affected the quality of sleep. Another downside: the breakfast hours (7:30 – 9:30). They are too limited and not very practical, especially since their coffee shops and bakery only open at 11:00, which leaves very few options. On the positive side, the staff is very professional, attentive, and efficient. In summary: a beautifully designed hotel, spotless and serene, but the comfort of the bed and the practicality of the meal times could be improved.

So happy I picked MUJI for our first trip to Tokyo! It was really quiet and calm to come home to and with 2 kids that needed breaks from busy day to relax the complementary lounge was a bonus for the parents! The room is yes narrow but with awesome amenities and great coffee machine in the morning! I hade no problem fitting 2 suitcases and all our stuff! We were on the 7 floor so I was scared we would get noise from lobby but nothing! so quiet and calm! The staff are very attentive and helped us with everything we needed! even scissors😂 highly recommended and now so happy I ended up booking again for our return to Tokyo!

A fantastic stay at Muji Hotel Ginza! The location is superb, right in the heart of the bustling Ginza district, making it easy to explore the city. The staff are welcoming and the check-in process is seamless. A highlight is the lounge next to the counter, which offers complimentary drinks and snacks from 4 to 9 PM—a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are spotless and incredibly comfortable, nice pajamas provided. The only minor drawback was the shower's weak water pressure, but it didn't detract from an otherwise excellent experience.
Jessie W — Google review
If you stay here you need to appreciate the gimmick. It is mostly tourists in this hotel, since it's all about the Muji brand. You will certainly get a delightful Muji experience here including an essential oil vaporizer in your room. It made me smile. The breakfast is inconveniently late and was below average. Otherwise I recommend this hotel to tourists since it is fun and entertaining. I paid $250//night and would not have accepted $400/night for this experience.
Avery M — Google review
The hotel is in an excellent location, close to a subway station. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is wonderful. We booked a very comfortable room — a standard double room, Type C. The room was clean, and all the amenities were refreshed daily. We really enjoyed our stay.

I really enjoyed my stay here and loved the smell of the muji products (especially the shampoo and body wash) in the shower. Everything was clean and the bed + pillows were so comfy! The best part was how quiet it was. We couldn’t hear anything from the outside or other rooms. You’ll definitely sleep peacefully here. Staff was kind and attentive and I was grateful they understood and spoke English 😅! I hope to stay here again during my next visit!

TRUNK(Hotel) Yoyogi Park boasts Tokyo's first outdoor rooftop pool, offering treetop views and a minimalist design by Japanese architect Keiji Ashizawa and Danish firm Norm Architects.
Went there with a friend last Friday after booking a table same day. The place is really close to the station, and easy to find. We ordered six dishes, a bottle of wine, and two more glasses of wine for a total of around ¥20,000. The food was fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors were fabulous. The porcini risotto we ordered was one highlight of the meal, with a depth of flavor and just-right al dente texture. To cap the meal off we had venison from Hokkaido, and it was superb. The wine steward gathered our preferences verbally and then returned with six bottles of wine which made it clear we were dealing with someone who likes to travel off the beaten path. The Carignana from Sardegna we chose after some deliberation was fruity and light yet rich, and went perfectly with the meal. I will definitely be going back.

The Peninsula Tokyo is a luxurious high-rise hotel located in the prestigious business district of Marunouchi, offering stunning views of the city and sophisticated facilities. The hotel boasts traditional Japanese design elements and world-class hospitality, with an impressive lobby designed to resemble a Japanese lantern. Guests can indulge in masterful kaiseki meals, enjoy local artwork, relax at the high-end ESPA spa, and experience luxurious room amenities.
From the very first moment of our arrival, The Peninsula Tokyo exceeded all of our expectations and made our stay truly unforgettable. The service is on an absolutely world-class level. Every team member we interacted with – from the concierge to the spa staff to housekeeping – treated us with such warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. Small details and thoughtful gestures made us feel not only welcome, but truly valued as guests. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with every comfort imaginable. The attention to detail in both design and amenities is remarkable, and the quality of the bedding, furniture, and technology reflects true luxury. The spa was another highlight – a serene space offering deep relaxation and an exceptional level of service. After our treatments, we left feeling completely renewed and cared for. The location of the hotel is also excellent, with easy access to Ginza, the Imperial Palace gardens, and many of Tokyo’s best shopping and dining experiences. What truly sets The Peninsula Tokyo apart, however, is the way the staff makes you feel. It is not just about luxury or convenience – it is about the personal touches and the feeling of being genuinely looked after. This combination of elegance, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality makes The Peninsula Tokyo one of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in. We would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking to experience Tokyo at its best.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay as a couple with a 10 months baby. Starting from arrival to the end of the trip, the Peninsula Tokyo has exceeded our expectations. Every little detail of the experience is curated and thought out, making sure to answer every need of the guests. The concierge service was phenomenal.. They've helped us reserve and coordinate multiple services and restaurants prior to our arrival, making sure all of the details are figured out for us and communicating everything in detail. The room service was great, offering amazing food options for babies (unseasoned and healthy) and high restaurant quality options for adults. The Lobby restaurant was out of this world, while the food is great, the staff made our 10 months old feel like a first class citizen, catering to her every need/want. The spa experience was really great. The location is amazing, very walkable but also far away from the Tokyo craziness. I can't say a single bad word about the entire stay, 10/10 would recommend and will surely come back again.

Great hotel! We only stayed for one night but had a lovely visit. The views from the rooftop bar (Peter: the bar) are amazing though as you would expect, the place is very busy in the evenings. Breakfast was a little hectic but the staff are so friendly and attentive that it doesn't detract from the experience too much. The hotel's location is perfect and who doesn't fall in love with the vintage Rolls Royce parked at the front of the hotel? The bell-staff / doormen were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and met our needs, even if they surprisingly felt a little dated. The beds are very comfortable!

First time guests at Peninsula Tokyo. We stayed for 3 nights. The room is spacious by Japan standards. Fantastic location in Ginza. Walkable everywhere. Tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. I like the feeling of coming back to a quiet and calm place after a busy tiring day out. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I like the spacious double-sink bathroom and walk-in wardrobe with vanity table. The service is impeccable. There's always someone at the main entrance to welcome you and help with getting taxi. Ever ready to answer any questions or render help in any way, time or manner. The early check-in and late check-out is a bonus especially if you have odd flight times. Peninsula Tokyo is truly a 5-star experience. So impressed. Will return.

One of the most spectacular hotels worldwide. The Peninsula Tokyo’s attention to service and tradition are unmatched. We stayed here for five nights recently and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The food, amenities, rooms; everything was fantastic. There is so much to say, too much actually, about the greatness and spectacularity of the Peninsula. In fact, I would say it is the best Peninsula property out of all of them, by far — that’s saying a lot. We look forward to visiting Japan again soon, and certainly when in Tokyo we will stay here.

Without a doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I’ve stayed at many 5 star hotels all over the world and nothing compares to the hospitality here. I’ve never seen anything like it. The staff is very attentive and friendly. When the room was first cleaned, we came back to the room speechless. In the bathroom, all our toiletries were neatly organized and placed on a hand towel with labels facing out and perfectly aligned. In the closet, our shoes were neatly placed to the side of the closet and clothes folded that were laying on the ground. Cords from a curling iron and hair dryer neatly wrapped and placed. In the bedroom, my glasses were on the nightstand and when I came back, they were placed perfectly straight and sitting on a lens cleaning cloth. Unbelievable. Our phone chargers were neatly wrapped up and tucked away. We had a bottle of champagne unopened from the night before, we came back and it was sitting in a fresh bucket of ice. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Would come back to Tokyo just to stay in this hotel again.

The service, staff and location of the Peninsula Tokyo is why to stay. The staff is gracious, helpful and welcoming. The pool area is huge and well done with a dedicated lap lane. It’s a terrific pool. Unfortunately- the rest of the hotel is a little dated. It’s still clean and well done - but compared to other hotels stayed in / visited in Tokyo - The Ritz Carlton, Aman, and Mandarin Oriental - the Peninsula is in need of an upgrade to have the same 5 star luxury feel. Our suite was huge with a stunning view - very comfortable. The Peninsulas in London, Chicago and Los Angeles are much nicer and feel more current and fresh. It’s worth staying if you want great views of the gardens - but there are now much better options.

She took my breakfast order for two days. Starting the day with her polite and gentle "Good morning" feels wonderful. My husband and I are completely captivated by her. Next time we'll need to stay at least two nights. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the operator Kotomi and all the members.

Onsen
Onsen Ryokan Yuen Bettei Tokyo Daita is a refined hot spring hotel located in the vibrant suburb of Shimokita, Setagaya. This boutique inn offers 33 Japanese-style rooms with traditional features such as raised futon beds and sliding shoji screens. The highlight of the hotel is its hot spring bath, which includes both indoor and outdoor tubs filled with authentic hot spring water from Hakone near Mt Fuji.
Unfortunately, we were only able to book a day pass to experience the tea room and the onsen. The food and tea are amazing. The space is so calm and beautiful. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout. If rooms are unavailable, I highly recommend the day pass as an alternative. The neighborhood is beautiful and calm. A wonderful retreat from the bustle of Tokyo. Next time we are back in Tokyo we will certainly stay here and book a room in advance.

A truly chic and elegant stay in Tokyo. The atmosphere is refined yet warm, and the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. Breakfast is a highlight — a rich and beautifully presented Japanese-style meal, with special care taken for allergies and dietary needs. The rooms are immaculate and thoughtfully designed, offering that authentic sense of being in Japan. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the absence of wardrobes in the rooms. Not being able to properly unpack and hang clothes is quite inconvenient, especially considering the nightly rate. Other than that, the experience was exceptional and definitely memorable.
Eleonora C — Google review
The hotel has a calm, minimal design and offers a peaceful atmosphere overall; Pros: • Excellent location — right next to the subway exit (about a 1-minute walk). • Around 30 minutes to central areas like Shibuya or Shinjuku (requires transfer). • Clean, minimalist design with a relaxing vibe. • Strong shower pressure with stable hot and cold water. • Smart TV with YouTube and Netflix access. • Quiet onsen area that’s rarely crowded. • Complimentary ice cream provided near the public bath. • Yukata available and allowed throughout the hotel. • Friendly and polite staff. Cons: • Reservation system on the official website doesn’t accept foreign cards.-used 3 different card but didn’t went thru so made it by email • Breakfast served at the bar instead of a proper table for one person, by the entrance • basin is too low and small, causing water to splash everywhere. • for private onsen room: lots of mosquitoes, no repellent provided. • no curtains — bring a sleep mask if you’re sensitive to light. • Ochazuke was overly salty. • Massage service: felt too light compared to Thai-style massages.

This is an incredible hotel. Especially if you’re someone who appreciates the serenity and whispered quiet luxury that Japan is so good at. Tiny details done so right - breakfast is insanely special, even by Japan standards. A different multi-course obanzai every day - including one day where we get to make our own Yuba. - the rooms are small but very well thought out for their size, with everything you could imagine including additional doors to the sleeping area, to screen noise from the shower or corridor. - onsen, gorgeous outdoor and indoor soaking pools. - comforting supper ochasuke in our rooms after returning from all the jazz and whiskey bars of shimokita - location is actually right on a linear park/ running path that goes thru setagaya, very easy to jog in the mornings without constantly referring to google maps to navigate.
Sulin L — Google review
First, pay attention to the square footage of the rooms since they vary. They are small but delightful. Ours faced onto the front path and had a tiny view of Mt. Fuji. Very well designed room with comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the neighborhood which is quieter than typical and ate at a couple of delicious restaurants within walking distance.. If you like coffee, there are several nice spots that serve terrific coffee. I drink decaf which is harder to come by in Japan. The standout experience was the aromatherapy massage combined with the onsen. One of the best massages of my life.
Carrie J — Google review
An amazing experience. We will be back and will probably spend our whole trip here. The onsen was so relaxing and was very clean in comparison to what I have experienced in one of the nicer hotels in Tokyo. Breakfast is amazing and service is very nice. The rooms are simple and quaint. They are smaller so keep that in mind
Khanh T — Google review
My worst experience in Japan. First, I found cockroaches next to the restaurant. Given the expected standard for this hotel, this is abnormal. Second, the service is terrible. I requested a refund for two breakfasts as I couldn’t attend them. They charged me again the total amount of my stay including all the nights (without the two breakfasts) without letting me know, leading to fees on my side. Few days later they finally refund me the original price paid month earlier. At the end, I paid more fees than the two breakfasts. When I explained them that they could have processed a partial refund instead, directly, they blamed my bank and didn’t do any gesture. Finally, I asked them to work on a table next to the lobby because my room was being cleaned up. They asked me to buy a tea for seating 30 min. Overall, if you are looking for a nice hotel, and relaxing stay, go somewhere else. It was so much trouble.
Reu D — Google review
Mixed feelings about this hotel. Beautiful setting, fantastic location and attentive staff. Rooms are very small, we could barely fit two suitcases in there and it was very cramped - this is pretty normal in Japan though. Breakfast is OK, nothing special, but totally fine. Onsen is not mixed, which I understand is the traditional way, but obviously I'd prefer to bathe with my partner if possible, but I understand it is what it is on that front. The major issue was I 100% left 30,000JPY behind in the hotel room upon checkout, but when I called the hotel 2-3 hours later they claimed it was not found. But I'm totally sure it was left there, so I'm not sure what to make of that. Quite disappointing. I guess the cleaner must have lied to the management about it, though that is so 'un-Japanese' I'm just left a bit confused. All I know for sure, without any doubt, is 30,000JPY was definitely left behind in my room (and no - it did not fall out in the street as it was not taken out in the street, nor accidentally packed in our luggage because we gutted our bags afterwards), and that was the last I ever saw of it, which isn't a nice feeling.

The 164-room hotel occupies the upper floors of a skyscraper, offering stunning city views from its chic and contemporary rooms and suites. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed at the Andaz Lounge on the 51st floor for a relaxed check-in experience.
We capped off our 2 week stay in Japan with 2 nights at this Andaz. It's pretty easy to get to via Subway which is always nice. The interior of the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The service from check-in to check-out was phenomenal. We did room service and the breakfast buffet and all the food was excellent. My only knock would be that our TV didnt have any streaming capabilities at all, and it was unexpected for being such a nice property. But overall, still a stunning stay!

We had a great 2 nights stay here. Nice location for us, really easy access to Hibiya line and Ginza line. All the staffs are kind and helpful, exceptional service. Guest room is spacious and well designed, and the tokyo tower view is spectacular. Food quality was good, delicious. Really enjoyed our time here and will definitely come back to here again.

Room: Stayed in the Sky Suite, amazing view of Tokyo Tower with no blockage at all. Room is spacious and beautifully designed. Love the B&O sound system. Service: Very good. Staff are polite, everything handled smoothly and efficiently. Restaurant: Had dinner at Tavern and the Sushi, both were excellent with great service. Also visited the rooftop bar, Leo was such a delight, very professional and friendly. Location: Great location in Toranomon Hills, easy access to anywhere in Tokyo. The hotel has opened for quite a while but is super well maintained. Andaz has its perks but still The UB would be my favourite hotel at Toranomon Hills because of their impeccable service.

We stayed 4 nights and it was lovely. I enjoyed the gym and pool. The room was spacious and the service was fantastic. We had breakfast every morning and it was delicious and seemed to have high quality ingredients, lots of options as well. It was a little difficult navigating to the hotel, especially on the first day. The subway station was about a 5 minute walk and i appreciated that it wasn’t in the smack of town. Made it quieter. Everything was high quality down to the hair dryer they offered - I will definitely be staying again when I visit Tokyo.

Absolutely incredible service. I accidentally lost my ring during my stay, and the staff went above and beyond to locate it and return it to me. Their attentiveness and kindness were truly on another level. From the warm greetings to the thoughtful follow-up, every interaction felt genuine and personal. The hotel itself is beautiful, but it’s the people who make it truly exceptional. Highly recommend Andaz Tokyo — they define what real hospitality means.

What a wonderful experience at the Andaz. Stayed here only for a night. Booked through Hyatt Rewards, 40,000 points for a King Bedroom and to our surprise, the hotel generously upgraded us for no charge to a 2 bed room suite on the 47th floor. The hotel and rooms are beautifully designed, perfectly appointed artwork, furniture and design. Staff are helpful and warm from the moment you walk into the 1st floor bellman station to the guidance to the 52nd floor lobby to check in. Breath taking views from our room and any room since the hotel occupies the top floors. You don't need to fight for a time to go to Shibuya Sky because your room is just as high. You can see Tokyo Tower from some of the public spaces. Hotel and area are very quiet and quaint compared to the rest of Tokyo. Nestled inside a business forward area versus a tourist forward area like Shinjuku, Ginza or Shibuya. There is a near by train ride, but you are not off the main Yamamote line. Tokyo Station is less than 10 minutes away by taxi/uber.
Christine N — Google review
We had a lovely stay at Andaz Tokyo. Views were stunning and every interaction with staff was gracious. After we mentioned our honeymoon, the team surprised us with an upgrade and a bottle of wine. The room was comfortably sized for Tokyo and the snacks and amenities were excellent. The location is calm yet has a multitude of restaurants and cafes nearby. Prices reflect the area, so you will find steady quality rather than bargains. Since it sits a little outside the main hubs, I think it shines as a base at the beginning or end of a trip. There is a beautiful shrine close by, and many places open later in the day, especially on weekends. We would absolutely return.

The Andaz in Tokyo is incredibly beautiful!! We loved celebrating my fiancé's birthday at this hotel. They even brought him a bottle of wine and chocolates! Every time we were in the common space the staff made us feel so welcomed. The sheer beauty of the hotel is reason enough to stay from the washi paper art in the elevators to the wood installation in the lobby it is a must see! We loved our couple's massage - the spa team truly did an amazing job making us feel relaxed after many days of fast paced travels catering our treatments to our personal needs. The hotel is in a great location sitting right above a metro station!! We would highly recommend staying at the Andaz!

Aman Tokyo is a luxurious hotel located in the Otemachi Tower, offering contemporary rooms and Italian dining with stunning city views. The hotel's design draws inspiration from traditional Japanese residential structures, incorporating classic materials like timber and Washi paper with modern technology. Managed by Aman, it features 84 rooms and suites, each offering unique layouts and modern amenities. The hotel also boasts a lounge on the 33rd floor, providing an extensive cocktail selection and a menu featuring both Western and Japanese classics.
Aman Tokyo has become our favorite hotel in Japan. The room was gorgeous with clean modern minimalist decor and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Tokyo skyline and Imperial Gardens. The common areas were serene and luxurious, the pool was gorgeous and the gym was very well equipped. The wonderful breakfast was made even more special by Niccolo, the assistant manager at the restaurant. Everyday he would remember all our modifications and preferences from the days before and was very welcoming, epitomizing the best in five star service. Also, special callout to the person managing the pool who surprised us with drinks and treats at our chaise lounge while we swam. Thank you for a lovely experience!

This is an amazing place and I highly recommend you to visit it. We have been here on dinner only and had great experience. Food was good, dessert and drinks as well. View from the restaurant is very nice, as you can see great parts of Tokyo. It looks pretty romantic during the night time. Everything is very well maintained here and it looks like they are paying attention on every detail.

Great hard product. Concierge needs big improvement to be useful to guests. To me, Aman's core value prop is absolute peace of mind. Every little life-detail is handled seamlessly so you can truly focus on what matters. I stayed at Aman Tokyo for over a week on a work trip, and the hard product was nothing short of spectacular. The base room is easily among the largest in Tokyo, with an interior design and stunning skyline views that combine to give an incredible sense of the location (a rarity among increasingly bland global chains). It certainly made me *feel* like I was in the heart of a metropolis. The room itself was spacious enough to host a small group comfortably, with a thoughtful seating area and well-curated amenities. Room service was solid and consistently good. Breakfast was an absolute highlight. I stuck with the Japanese set and added fruit on the side. Invited a group of friends over last minute no issues - plenty of seating. After noticing I enjoyed mangoes, the restaurant team began adding a plate of cut mango to my meal every morning without me asking. This is classic Aman intuitive service. The gym was excellent: well-equipped, always quiet, and a joy to use. I was able to keep my routine effortlessly. I also swam three times during my stay, and the pool was similarly serene and uncrowded. The main letdown, however, was the concierge. They mishandled a reservation date and couldn’t secure tables at the high-end sushi spots I requested. I ultimately had to rely on a private concierge service for one reservation and even DM'ed a chef directly on Instagram for another. I was left feeling pretty frustrated having to coordinate all this ahead of my trip. At a lesser property, this would be forgivable, but at a 6-star hotel, where convenience and seamless access are the very things you’re paying for, it’s a serious miss. For me, this was a significant strike against the otherwise stellar experience.
Su G — Google review
Having a wonderful time here. Immaculate and on point rooms, service quality is excellent as would be expected! Special shout out to Niccolo Brachelente at Arva, while service here is expected, he goes beyond the expected. He’s super attentive and proactive, anticipating our needs even before we began to ask for anything. An example, would be my wife having a slight sniffle and a tissue box appeared soon. My coffee getting cold and a fresh cup appeared immediately. He sets a very good example for the other staff to emulate. Am truly appreciative of his efforts and also of course the rest of the team here.

They say it's one of the best hotels in Tokyo and unsaid the most expensive one. It's a modern style built hotel with the rooms starting from 35 to 38 level. The food served is good and hospitality is beyond expectation. Overall a nice stay. We were in the Suite room on 38rd level and the view was amazing.

Incredible hotel with impeccable service and breathtaking views. This is where you want to stay in Tokyo. Don’t forget a swimsuit so you can enjoy the stunning pool. The afternoon set was just ok 1. We were seated at a table at the end of the corridor next to BOH, since the room is really quiet we can here everything from the pantry and the event happening 2. The waiter had an accident carrying our set to the table a few champaign flute were broken, we did not have any reassurance if we got a new set or the glasses could have been in our set 3. The new glasses that they served the muscat juice was not properly polished the whole flute was actually soaking wet 4. the seat cushions are also flat making the seat uncomfortable, when I ask if we could switch they just told us they need the table for the next guests the experience was such a let down considering the price point and how nice the hotel is

Conrad Tokyo is an upscale hotel that offers luxurious accommodations, featuring modern design and contemporary art. The hotel boasts four restaurants, a lounge, and a spa with an indoor pool. Guests can enjoy activities such as taiko drumming classes and cycling tours as part of the Conrad's global 135 concept. The Mizuki Spa and Fitness provides a serene environment for relaxation, offering aromatherapy massages and bamboo body treatments.
My stay at the Conrad Tokyo was absolutely fantastic, largely thanks to the world-class service. The staff were incredibly attentive and professional, but a few individuals truly made our experience special. A perfect example was the wonderful service from Mayumi and Asako. I had received a Conrad bear from a previous stay in Osaka and messaged to ask if the Tokyo location had a similar one. Mayumi responded right away and had the Tokyo version delivered to my room. Later, after I sent a thank you photo, Asako and the team surprised me with one more! It was a completely unexpected and charming gesture that made me feel so welcome. A huge thank you to both of them for making my stay so memorable! The facilities are top-notch. The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with breathtaking views of the city skyline and Tokyo Bay. The gym and spa are excellent, providing a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The location is also a huge plus. While it feels serene and exclusive, it's incredibly convenient, being located right next to Shiodome station. This made getting around Tokyo a breeze. I can't recommend the Conrad Tokyo enough. It's a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, with a level of personalized service that is truly special.

We had an absolutely fantastic and memorable stay. Each time we returned to the hotel after exploring the city, it truly felt like coming home. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Monica in the Executive Lounge was especially kind and attentive, and Peter at the front desk made us feel genuinely cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better visit. Breakfasts were excellent… high quality, very tasty, and lots of variety. Also, all the amenities were top notch and our son in particular enjoyed the fully equipped gym. The location is convenient to public transit, though a bit removed from most points of interest. That said, Ginza is within walking distance, which was very convenient.

My parents and I stayed at Conrad back in April for 3 nights, and we loved it so much we've planned another Tokyo trip to stay at Conrad again next week. We were able to relax at the Executive Lounge during the check-in process, and the staff made us feel very welcome. We were upgraded to a bay view room, and the room was spacious and comfortable. We loved wearing the Conrad robe while sipping coffee in the room before going down for a delicious breakfast. The food selections were excellent and tasty. We also used the beautiful pool and spa facility to relax after a long day out. Location is excellent for walking to Ginza for shopping and ending at Yurakucho station to catch a train back with hands full of goodies. We're looking forward to our stay again!

Truly outstanding experience. Received a fantastic suite upgrade—status definitely respected! A huge bonus: Liverpool FC was staying here! What an event for my kid! We had a small issue with smoke from the air cooler, but the service was incredible. They immediately brought an air purifier, and the main manager checked on us personally. Great suite, great service, great memories. I will absolutely return.

Outstanding 5 night stay at Conrad Tokyo as Hilton Diamond member. Received complimentary upgrade from Bay View King to Bay View Suite. Great hotel, but staff made the stay even better. In house food and beverage was very good, from morning buffet to executive lounge to Chinese restaurant - all were solid. The lobby bar on the 28th floor was a great place to relax and listen to live music. In ~15 seatings throughout the hotel, only one time did we not get a window table, and we never had to ask. Assistant GM Hiroya Peter is best in the business, he welcomed us from check-in and kept track of us for the entire stay making sure we had an outstanding stay. Shout out to the Conceirge team for all the recommendations, directions and securing us the best two seats at PST. And the fitness, pool and spa facilities were top notch, had an absolutely perfect two hour spa treatment. Overall, one of the best hotels in the world. Highly recommend Conrad Tokyo for any world travelers.

First trip to Japan - A Seamless Symphony of Excellence at Conrad Tokyo From the moment we arrived with my wife at Conrad Tokyo, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of refined hospitality and impeccable service. Though I regret not recalling each individual names, every team member from the concierge to the guest relations and duty managers embodied a level of professionalism and grace that speaks volumes about the hotel's leadership. The dining experience at the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant was a highlight: exquisite flavors, masterful preparation in front of you, and attentive service in a serene setting. The spa offered a haven of tranquility, while the breakfast was a perfect blend of quality, variety, and thoughtful presentation. Every detail of the stay reflected a deep commitment to excellence: the pristine cleanliness, the seamless maintenance, the elegant ambiance of the bar enhanced by carefully curated music, and the consistently polished demeanor of the staff. It’s clear that the training and standards here are of the highest caliber. Above all, there is a sense of harmony and pride that runs through the entire property, a testament to the General Manager’s steady and inspired leadership. This is a hotel where everything works in concert, and where guests are made to feel not just welcomed, but genuinely valued. Can't wait to stay there again

TRUNK HOTEL is a trendy and modern hotel located in Tokyo, right by Harajuku's Cat Street and a short walk from Shibuya Crossing. The hotel offers upcycled furniture in its contemporary quarters, along with a restaurant and a stylish bar. It features its own convenience store, an expansive outdoor deck, and a lobby that doubles as a co-working space during the day and transforms into a chic cocktail bar at night.
We stayed here for the first night of our Japan trip and we loved it! The staff took note of my birthday from my passport and remembered us as we were heading out. They wished me a happy birthday and even gave me a small gift. Some reviews criticize the busy lobby, and if you’re looking for a hotel with a quiet lobby and no energy, this might not be the hotel for you. We found it vibrant and full of life, with smiling faces all around. Definitely one of the more memorable hotels of our visit and we will definitely stay again next visit!

Previous guest of Claska and I have a big love for Ace Hotels. I thought this could be a similar vibe. Tbh, we paid a good amount of change for a weeks stay. The room had damp issues, I found myself paying $50 for a double serve of muesli in the morning, which was rough. The lobby was chaotic, not in a good way. My biggest issue was on departure, where we had already paid 100% of the cost for the room at the time of booking, only to be told we needed to pay the entire amount again (multiple thousands), as the initial charge was just a 'hold of funds'. This felt absurd to us, and I've not come across holds being used for entire cost of stay. It was also not indicated on our receipt of payment and felt super scammy. We were then treated in a hostile manner, as though we were trying to get out of payment. This was not an enjoyable holiday experience and there's no way I'd be staying again.

I stayed two nights at this hotel (from Friday to Sunday), for the second time. The place remains as elegant as ever — the design is refined, contemporary, and full of character. My room was cosy, impeccably clean, and the bed exceptionally comfortable, hard to leave in the morning! The staff were highly professional, friendly, and attentive. I had dinner at Trunk Kitchen, and the meal was absolutely delicious. However, I was disappointed by the breakfasts. They are served at the table, as plated dishes that are far too generous. The salmon plate, for example, also included bacon, sausages, lard, and vegetables, too much, and an odd combination. On the other hand, the fruit, yogurt and granola plate was excellent, light, balanced, and very tasty. One downside during my stay: the hotel was hosting several weddings, which made the atmosphere quite noisy. The bar was almost inaccessible, and the usual calm, intimate vibe of the place was missing. Despite this, Trunk Hotel remains a beautiful address in Tokyo, stylish, comfortable, and supported by an outstanding team.

As Americans traveling in Japan, we were so grateful to find this spot! It was exactly what we needed — an easy, delicious breakfast and a relaxed space where our kid could be comfortable. The location is beautiful and absolutely worth the walk. The service was top-notch, and when our child wasn’t feeling well, the staff went above and beyond to help and make us comfortable. Such a kind and welcoming place — a real reprieve while we were in the area!

We absolutely loved staying the Trunk hotel. The location is definitely fantastic, especially if you intend to walk around or train most of the time you're here. We loved the staff and the vibes of the place, while the lobby could get crowded with people working or at the bar, it never felt too busy and the staff always took care of the guests. The location really is the highlight as there are tons of great shops and restaurants within a 10 min walk. Next time we're in Tokyo, will 100% be staying here again.

Minimalist, elegant hotel in an excellent Shibuya location close to many train lines and restaurants. I have stayed in two different rooms. Both were very small but had a high level of finish and attention to detail. Staff - as you would expect - is extremely attentive.

Nestled in a high-rise building, Palace Hotel Tokyo offers stylish rooms and suites with over half featuring open-air balconies. Boasting a prime location near Tokyo Station, the hotel provides stunning views of the Imperial Palace moat and gardens. Guests can indulge in culinary delights at 10 restaurants and bars while enjoying a blend of Japanese design elements and modern comforts throughout the property. The hotel also features a spa, gym, pool, and an impressive collection of nature-inspired artwork.
My husband and I are currently staying here (3 nights in of an 11 night stay). The hotel itself is gorgeous, much more impressive than the website led me to expect. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. And the location sits on top of FIVE convenient train lines. We have a gorgeous little patio overlooking the park. The gym is fantastic (lots of Techno Gym equipment). And housekeeping is on point. This is a wonderful hotel, and I can't recommend it enough. What a treat to stay here!

My stay at the Palace Hotel Tokyo has been nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere here embodies a true sense of Zen, calm, balanced, and deeply soothing to the soul. Every moment within this space feels intentionally designed to restore clarity and peace. The staff’s professionalism and warmth elevate the experience even further. Each interaction is thoughtful and graceful, reflecting a standard of hospitality that feels both genuinely kind and impeccably polished. There is a quiet luxury that defines this hotel, understated yet profoundly elegant. It is the kind of place that reminds you what true hospitality means, where every detail and every gesture seems to align perfectly. Having traveled extensively, I can say that my time at the Palace Hotel Tokyo stands among the most memorable stays I have experienced anywhere in the world. It is one of those rare places that leaves a lasting imprint, not just for its beauty, but for the serenity it brings to those who spend time within its walls.

Best service I've experienced anywhere in the world. The hotel is beautiful and elegant, though not much different than many western 5 star hotels. Where they are head and shoulders above the rest is in their service. Everywhere you go there are multiple employees willing to help in every way you need and they are impeccably trained in doing it right. If you request something to your room (for example extra towels) they arrive in minutes. Their friendliness and hospitality are unmatched. I stay here every time I visit Tokyo.

Our recent stay at The Palace Hotel Tokyo was truly outstanding in almost every regard. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably maintained, with wonderful views that perfectly reflect the serene yet refined character of the property. The breakfast buffet is flawless – one of the best we have experienced in Japan – with outstanding product quality, presentation, and service. A particular highlight of our stay was the exceptional concierge team. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine willingness to assist went far beyond expectations. Traveling with a family that included a baby while wanting to enjoy Tokyo’s finest gastronomy proved to be a considerable challenge. Yet, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the Palace concierge team, we were able to secure reservations at some of the city’s best and hardest-to-book restaurants. Without their support, those dining experiences would not have been possible. There are, however, two aspects that could be improved. The early closing times of the restaurants and bars can feel somewhat restrictive for international guests accustomed to more flexible late-night options. More importantly, the spa and sauna facilities do not meet the standards one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The amenities are modest compared to other international luxury hotels, and the additional charge for in-house guests is surprising, even disappointing, given the already substantial room rates. Overall, the Palace Hotel Tokyo remains one of the most elegant and well-managed hotels in the city — a place defined by understated luxury, exceptional staff, and a deep sense of hospitality. With minor adjustments to the spa policy and opening hours, it could easily reach absolute perfection.

Upon our arrival at the beautiful Palace Hotel, we were greeted by amazing hosts that made us feel welcomed and valued. Our check in went exceptionally well and we were taken to our beautiful room that amazing views of palace and other scenery around us. Daily, our domestic engineers (maid service ) made sure we had everything we needed and more! I believe love is in the details and truly appreciated that they paid attention to specific needs we had and met them all. Breakfast was our favorite meal of the day and we had dinner elsewhere. Lastly, we were thankful for all the hospitality throughout the duration of our stay from all the staff members! They all gave with such pure hearts and we were thankful for each and every one of them! 🫶🏽

We just finished 3 nights at the Palace Hotel and what an incredible stay it was! Beautiful room, spacious and with a balcony over looking the spectacualr moat and Imperial Palace. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. We ordered the japanese breakfast through their in room dining service which was well presented and delicious. We also had drinks and food at the lobby lounge which was all class! All round, the service (omotenshai), room, ammenties, and location was top notch. Could not fault Palace Hotel Tokyo! We will be back!

The Palace Hotel Tokyo is simply the best! Among the many highlights: 1. Fantastic views over the Imperial Palace for most rooms. 2. Tuly the best hotel breakfast I have ever seen. 3. The public areas are warm and welcoming while also very classy, as is the clientelle who use them. They overlook the palace moat in a green and tranquil setting which is amazing for central Tokyo 4. The staff are of the highest quality, eager to serve, and highly competent. 5. The rooms are excellent. Roomy, balconies with the amazing view, incredible. 6. The location is simply the best. I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this hotel. It is simply the best.

We stayed at Tokyo Palace Hotel for three nights and it was perfect. The room is beautiful, the view to the Imperial Garden was amazing, and the service is absolutely fantastic. We did not try the three famous restaurants inside the hotel, but we heard they’re amazing. We just had breakfast at the hotel — they offer both Occidental and Japanese options, and it was absolutely amazing.

Park Hotel Tokyo offers a polished and reasonably priced lodging experience with stunning views of Tokyo Tower. Located in the bustling Shinbashi neighborhood, this 4-star hotel provides superb access to the rest of Tokyo, being just a 2-minute walk from Shinbashi Station and close to the famous Tokyo Tower. The hotel's unique feature includes an entire floor devoted to art, where each room is individually decorated by contemporary Japanese artists.
My boyfriend and I had an excellent stay at the Park Hotel. We were in a queen room on the 30th floor and the view of Tokyo was absolutely beautiful. The art throughout the hotel is pretty cool. I'd say the room was around the same size as an Australian hotel room which is spacious for Tokyo standards. It's a good location with lots of restaurants and bars nearby and very close to the subway. Staff were helpful and friendly. My only very minor feedback is that the complementary coffee machine wasn't working for most of our stay (although they provided drip coffee instead) and our TV was in German (we were able to switch it to English but it kept reverting back to German).

Stayed here on the first leg of our 3 week Japan roundtrip. The hotel is well situated and easy to get to from Haneda airport to Shimbashi station. Eventually discovered you can walk above street level from the station to the hotel which was so nice! Used both Shimbashi and Shiodome stations and the hotel was perfectly located to reach all parts of Tokyo via metro or train. Hotel is located on the 25th floor and up so the views are amazing! Room was a bit small with almost no room for suitcases or unpacking but nicely decorated and with an amazing view! Helpful staff and concierge and free water/coffee/tea in the spacious lobby with artworks decorating the hall and the walls of each guest room floor. Great value for money, would highly recommend for first time Tokyo visitors.

The hotel is in a great spot close to many attractions, restaurants, and train stations, which makes getting around Tokyo easy. It did take a little time to find the entrance since it’s located inside an office building, but once you figure it out, everything is very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, and the view was nice. Service was average and could be a bit more attentive, but overall it’s a pleasant stay and good value for the location.

We had an amazing stay at Park Hotel. The entire place feels like a museum, filled with beautiful art, and our Artist Room was especially impressive, unique, and fun. The view was spectacular — on clear days we could even see Mount Fuji. The room itself was spotless and spacious, and the location is unbeatable. The building is directly connected to a train station just 3 minutes away, a 10-minute walk from Shimbashi Station, and around 12 minutes from Ginza. The only downside was the bathroom. While the room felt modern and luxurious, the bathroom felt a bit dated, and we expected something more aligned with the overall vibe of the hotel. Also, when we asked for an adapter, we were told each room only gets one, which wasn’t ideal for a couple, so we ended up buying an extra. Overall, we still loved our stay and would happily return.

Hotel is very nice and clean. It might be a bit of a walk to nearby station but once you figure out there is a bridge connection on 3/F it was a good easy walk. Nagasawa at Concerige was super helpful during my stay at the hotel. He helped me to research on the places I wanted to go and helped me plan the transportation and routes. He also took care of my luggage needs. It is the staff that makes my stay at Park Hotel Tokyo even more enjoyable.

Excellent hotel with great connections to train and subway. On first arrival you may find that finding the correct entrance a little tricky, due to the many levels around Shiodome and the hotel being within a tower block, but once you've mastered it the benefits of the direct connection to subway station, and very short walk to train more than pay off. Lots of restaurants nearby and several konbinis. Hotel itself is very relaxing with a great lobby. Room was beautiful and quite spacious by Japanese standards, with great views over Tokyo.

I stayed here during by solo Tokyo trip and I highly recommend. The hotel is beautiful! And my room had the most perfect view over the city and of the Tokyo Tower. I stayed in an Artist room and they let me choose which one I wanted from the designs currently available. It’s a great location too right next to a metro station. Plus the breakfast in the lobby was great too - I loved the fruit smoothie option. Staff was super helpful in assisting me with shopping my big luggage to my next hotel.

We stayed here during the first leg of our honeymoon in Japan, and in retrospect it felt like more of a business-traveler hotel—but with a very unique twist. What attracted us most was the Artist in Hotel program, where each room is individually designed by a contemporary artist. Our room, En by Mariko Kobayashi, featured a stunning bird motif and woodland creatures connected by a red string running across the entire room—even onto the ceiling and closet. It was one of the most memorable hotel room designs we’ve ever experienced. The lobby was a great spot for early morning work: quiet, professional, and staffed at all times. A standout feature was the pair of self-serve drink machines—one for perfectly poured Asahi beer and another with five varieties of sake. Just drop in some coins and enjoy. A clever, fun touch that really added to the stay. Breakfast was available, but it felt a bit pricey, so we skipped it and just had Uber Eats delivered. The room itself was small, which is typical for Tokyo, but comfortable. I like to keep the room at around 78°F for sleeping, and it just barely hit that. The bathroom mirror had a built-in defogger, which was a nice surprise and very convenient. Another highlight was that the hotel functions almost like a gallery, with artwork displayed across all floors—and all available for purchase. We ended up buying a sculpture titled Who Wants Some Slime for around $700 USD. It was professionally packaged and shipped back to the States for us, and the quality/value exceeded expectations. That experience encouraged us to explore every floor to see the other pieces, and it was one of the most enjoyable parts of the stay. Overall, I’d say this hotel is ideal for someone in Tokyo on business who also appreciates art. It’s professional, quiet, and polished, but with creative character throughout. For us, it wasn’t the most romantic honeymoon vibe, but it was definitely a unique and memorable experience.

The Asakusa Tobu Hotel is a relaxed 3-star hotel located in the heart of Tokyo, just opposite the Asakusa Station. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The hotel features a railway-themed restaurant and some railway-themed rooms, providing a unique experience for guests. Its prime location allows easy access to historic attractions such as the Senso-ji Temple, which is only a short walk away.
Located just accross a train station. Nearby a buzzling shopping and eating area. Not big but smartly laid out rooms done with good quality material and finish. Very quiet inside. Good breakfast. Friendly and useful service. Great value for money. Really enjoyed our stay.

Well positioned hotel across the road from Asakusa station with easy access to all of Tokyo. Big room. Solid, comfortable beds. Great shower. Breakfast was very good, plenty of options. Liked having free coffee during the day. Excellent check in and check out. All staff very good and friendly. Minor criticism was that our room 1022 was directly opposite the cleaners room and was quite noisy at times duringthe day , not ideal after a 24 hour journey with no sleep. Very quiet at night though.

Although the rooms are small it has everything you need & they'reextremely clean. You couldn't ask for a better location! The train stations are right across the road along with Sumida River, & Senso-ji Temple is literally a 3min walk. The breakfast was so good & the staff are always friendly. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend

THE BEST LOCATION!!! Check in was a breeze, staff lovely. No crib in a hotel that welcomes babies was a bit of a surprise, we certainly had enough room for one! Room is basic, 2 beds, pullout couch (that we turned into a crib), separate toilet and shower room. The toilet seat was not heated so a disappointment to end our Japan trip with that! LOL it's ok we have a Japanese toilet at home! Daily breakfast was good, only got it because we had our 19m old with us. Otherwise TONS in the area to go out and explore! There are 6 washer dryers and they are BUSY!!! People were lined up at 10pm trying to get a unit and they take 2 hours each. You can see the timing on the tv which was helpful. Fridge in room, and there's a microwave on our floor next to the vending machines so that was great. They can provide you with dishes, cutlery etc (great for feeding the baby) All in all great hotel, average breakfast, comfy beds, nothing overly spectacular (view was great) For $450CAD a night I would have loved a little more (nicer amenities, a crib, more Japanese offerings at breakfast) But we left happy.

This is my 3rd stay with Asakusa Tobu. Needless to say, room was clean and service is good. During my stay , I received great help from the front staff Ms Chen and her senior まゆ吾味. Very clean and spacious rooms. We loved the bathrooms where the toilet was in a separate closed off space. Kids got a welcome bag with cute sponges to bathe with. The location was very close to shopping and transportation. Rooms were quiet. Staff was very friendly. We loved the breakfast.

Rooms size and location is good but a better hotel can be found. Ridiculous 1000 yen (per bag) baggage hold fee when we were returning guests after leaving for just one night. We spent over 300k yen at this hotel and they still charged us for holding bags for the one day we were gone in the middle of our stay. Condescending and rude comment from staff member Mr. Pathak about holding our luggage. Completely unprofessional behavior. We were treated better at every other hotel we stayed in Japan (with no luggage fees either!). I will not stay at Tobu hotel or any of their affiliates on future trips to Japan. Spend your money where you will be treated better.

Hotel Groove Shinjuku, A PARKROYAL Hotel offers a stylish and contemporary stay with rooms featuring city views, Italian dining, and a trendy bar. The accommodations are designed with colorful carpets and wooden paneling to provide a unique touch. The hotel is ideal for travelers who plan to spend minimal time in their rooms while exploring the city but still want comfortable lodging for a good night's sleep.
We stayed three nights at this hotel and were absolutely delighted with our experience. The hotel is modern, stylish, and very comfortable. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and offered a fantastic view over Tokyo. All the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive – their hospitality truly made us feel welcome. The location is perfect if you enjoy Shinjuku – right in the heart of the action, with everything easily accessible. We truly enjoyed our stay and would choose this hotel again. A big thank-you to the wonderful team for making our time there so perfect!

Oustanding hotel in the heart of Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. We stayed for 5 days and this was truly the heart of Shinjuku. Easily can roll downstairs and right into the heart of the fun. Big shopping, lots of food restaurants and vendors, and walking distance to all the major train lines. We had a fabulous time in Japan and we felt so great coming home each night, showering, and enjoying the relaxation of our rooms!! And we had the Tokyo skyline to ourselves up on the 28th floor. Another major perk for this hotel, it is very modern, feels very lavish, price was not too bad, and the breakfast buffet that is included in the price was oustanding !!!! Our favorite breakfast the entire trip. Packed with fresh local fruit, western breakfast, but also local Japanese style breakfast, udon noodle bar, remen bar, rice car, and any dish on the menu!!!! Coffees bar and juice bar. And soooo much love from the staff. Everyone was oustanding. 10 out of 10, highly recommend. Thank you for the icing on the hotel cake for our Japan trip!!!

We loved our stay here for 4 nights! What I will remember most about this hotel is the view from the hotel room. Our bed faced the windows and we got an incredible city view. The room also has a separated shower and toilet. The shower has great water pressure. They provide good amenities like a hairbrush, comb, toothbrush, pajamas, water, etc. The staff spoke English well, we didn't have any issue. If you become a member of the hotel (for free), you can check. In early and have a late check out. The hotel lobby is on the 18th floor, so you'll have to use 2 sets of elevators just to get up to your room. The location is great! Easy access to the trains and a short walk from shopping that is open late. If heading to the airport, Narita or Haneda, there is a bus at the bottom of the hotel that will take you there. This is super helpful when bringing extra luggage back to your final destination. We didn't think about this prior to booking and since we bought extra bags in Japan, this was a life saver! You can scan the QR code on the outside of the bus terminal to buy tickets.

My fav hotel in Tokyo! Super convenient for travelers with lots of luggage, as there’s an airport limousine bus stop right downstairs the hotel. We were upgraded to the Garden Suite, which has an amazing view. The hotel staff, Haru, spoke excellent English and greeted us politely upon check-in. There was a washing machine in the room — such a great feature for travelers like us who had been in Japan for several days. The only downside was the breakfast: the menu was almost the same every day, and each guest could only order one à la carte item. P.S. We loved the scent of the laundry detergent and softener provided with the washing machine! Could you please tell us what brand they are?

My stay was absolutely wonderful! The room was spotless and spacious, with an incredible view that made every morning feel special. The breakfast was excellent there was such a great variety, but the highlight for me was the pumpkin French toast, which was simply amazing! What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the staff. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for guests really stood out. Every interaction felt warm and sincere, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I can’t recommend this place highly enough a truly 5-star experience from start to finish!

Our stay at Hotel Groove in Shinjuku was absolutely fantastic. The location couldn’t be better. It was near everything you could want and only a 3 min walk to Shinjuku station. The cleanliness of the hotel stood out immediately. Every space, from the lobby to our room, was spotless and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always greeting us warmly and happy to help with anything we needed. What truly made our stay unforgettable was how they remembered our special event during the trip. They went out of their way to acknowledge it and make us feel celebrated, which meant so much to us. Their accommodating nature made everything easy and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Hotel Groove exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again!

Flawless Tokyo base: views, service, convenience I spent a week at Hotel Groove Shinjuku (A PARKROYAL Hotel) and it exceeded my high expectations. As a startup CEO from Singapore, I value efficiency: this hotel delivers. It’s in Shinjuku’s tallest tower with jaw-dropping skyline views, steps to subway/JR and ~15–20 min by taxi to most meetings. Best of all, the Airport Limousine Bus from Haneda/Narita stops right at the building—zero luggage schlepping. Room: large by Tokyo standards, quiet, spotless, and chic. Plenty of space to roll out a yoga mat for morning stretches; excellent rain shower/bidet and quality amenities. Wi-Fi is fast; soundproofing is superb. Service: genuinely outstanding. The team arranged early check-in after an overnight flight, delivered an iron in minutes, and, as a GHA Discovery member, I was upgraded and granted 4pm late checkout—benefits honored without fuss. Dining: JAM17 breakfast is excellent with many high-protein options; coffee is strong. Dinner was equally good—don’t miss the ultra-light tiramisu—and there’s even a separate gelato shop on site. Notes: there’s no gym or pool, but the room space made daily workouts easy, and the elevator transfer to the sky lobby becomes second nature after day one. Bottom line: modern, calm, and incredibly convenient—an oasis above the city. A perfect mix of luxury and efficiency; I’ll happily return on every Tokyo trip.
Jiri P — Google review
Couldn’t say enough good things about Hotel Groove. The location is incredibly convenient—right inside Kabukicho Tower—with the airport limousine bus stopping directly in front of the hotel, making airport access so easy. Our room was spotless with amazing water pressure, great-smelling toiletries, super comfortable bed and pillows, and the most gorgeous views of the city. Even though it’s in a lively area, the room was high enough that it stayed quiet and peaceful. The hotel also has washers and dryers, which is a nice amenity, but I wouldn’t really recommend using them. The units are small and the dryer doesn’t fully dry clothes in one cycle, so you’ll likely need two rounds to get everything dry. Most of the staff were incredibly friendly, hospitable, and attentive. We did have one unpleasant experience at check-in night of 10/28/2025 with a staff member (shoulder-length black hair, possibly Thai). We arrived late at night and were already tired, and we could immediately sense she wasn’t in the best mood. After she processed our card, I accidentally walked away without grabbing the room key. When I turned back just a couple seconds later, I clearly saw her roll her eyes—my spouse noticed it too. After two weeks of traveling across Japan and staying at multiple hotels, that was the only rude interaction we had. Aside from that, everyone else at Hotel Groove was wonderful. On our last day, a staff member—Mae/May—was so kind that she genuinely moved me. She walked us all the way down to the airport limousine pickup area and even insisted on helping with our luggage. Her warmth and hospitality were unforgettable. Overall, despite that one negative encounter, we absolutely loved our stay and would still highly recommend Hotel Groove. We’d happily book here again every time we’re in Tokyo.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world, having visited over 50 countries. We had the king suite on the top (44th) floor with a wonderful view, I'm not sure in this price class it even matters if it was "worth it" from a value standpoint, but it was certainly a wonderful experience. The included breakfast is among the best I've experienced anywhere, and the 250-year-old bonsai in the annex room of the lobby is an incredible thing to witness. The rooftop bar, as others have remarked, is nice, but it's hardly the centerpiece of the hotel. The service level is fantastic, surpassing the Peninsula and other high-end brands present in Tokyo. Technology is integrated thoughtfully in the room, and the level of building quality is insane in both materials and implementation, with windows that completely block any sound and seem likely to do withstand the apocalypse. The same is true of the level of sound control within the hotel, we probably could have had a rock concert occur in our room without the next room hearing anything. Upon checkout, the staff will happily walk you across the street to Tokyo Eki for your bullet train home or onward to your next destination, 90% of this walk from the hotel lobby to the shinkansen train platform being indoors and air conditioned... the location is astonishingly convenient. Though it can be challenging to get a seat at the omakase bar in the hotel for dinner, it is worth doing so, and the Hokkaido uni served here is the best I've had anywhere in the world. Yes, it is easy to spend over $10,000 US for a weekend stay here, and you could spend twice that with room upgrades and some ambition with the pricier sake bottles on offer, but you can't spend it when you're dead. Overall: worth experiencing at least once in your life.

Absolutely Exceptional Stay — A True Lifetime Experience From the moment we arrived, everything about Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo was perfect. The facilities, indoor pool, spa, and room all delivered an incredible sense of luxury and calm. Our room was serene, immaculately cleaned, and beautifully furnished — truly a retreat above the city. Every service throughout our stay was outstanding. The restaurants were another highlight — Il Ristorante’s dinner course was exquisite, with a sommelier and staff who provided flawless service. Breakfast there was just as delightful, and the afternoon tea was elegant and relaxing. We also had the privilege of dining at Sushi Hōseki, where the Omakase experience was unforgettable. The chef explained each piece in detail and even presented the fresh tuna purchased from the market that very morning — an amazing touch that made the evening truly special. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and now I’m already thinking about visiting other Bvlgari Hotels in the future. Strongly recommended — thank you to all the staff for creating such a remarkable and memorable stay.

My wife and I have stayed at many of the world’s finest hotels, and this ranks among the best. We chose it for our one-year anniversary trip to Tokyo, and it exceeded expectations. The design, rooms, staff, bar, and facilities all showed exceptional attention to detail. Also, Sushi Hoseki was delicious! When we encountered an issue with our Amex booking, Taka was incredibly helpful and considerate in resolving it. If you’re visiting Tokyo, this is the place to stay. My only concern? It deserves to be priced alongside the Aman—enjoy it while you can.

The space is filled with lovely details: French skincare products, creams, serums, toners, even hairbrushes — everything you might need is thoughtfully provided. It’s elegant, relaxing, and truly five-star. Can’t wait to come back again and again. 💆‍♀️🤍

We were staying at this hotel for 5 nights, and this is one of the best hotels we ve ever stayed at (i do have history of FS, Aman, Reschio etc) and I am a hotelier so I’m very confident in what i am saying. The hotel facilities, cleanness and food are impeccable but overall the service - probably one of the best in the world. I was reading negative comments and let me sum it up - it’s mostly made by people who have never even stayed here, they should be thought on who the reviews on the hotel are for. Nevertheless, I fully fully recommend this place for an ultimate luxury stay.

This hotel is pure luxury. From the moment of arrival to the departure, the service was impeccable, everyone extremely friendly and trying to make your stay more memorable. A few more details: 1. Design and general areas: beautiful swish. Elements, generous layout. If there is a tiny cititicism - it would be nice to just have a place to go and sit and relax. One could use the lobby where they serve high tea but a bit more of a tucked away space would be nice, especially as there is space. Somewhere to work for a bit in peace if needed 2. Rooms: well appointed and beautifully designed. The sound insulation is great and the black out curtains provide full light cover- combined with the softest sheets we experienced in any hotel, we never slept better in a hotel. The daily fresh fruits and nuts were a great touch. 3. Spa and Fitness- beautiful and always quiet!great pool and a little sauna/steam area. All well equipped with great amenities. 4. Restaurants: the sushi restaurant was splendid in quality and service, the Italian restaurant was great and we had an excellent meal and service. The breakfast at the Italian Restaurant was nice and relaxing although I found the choices and quality of coffee a bit lacking compared to everything else. We had coffee and wine in the lobby lounge which was great in service. Finally we also had a light bite and drinks in the rooftop bar and had a wonderful time and great service as well. Final comment: overall I can’t find much fault here (mentioned everything I can think of). The hotel seems well run and the staff empowered to go above and beyond. Some people here comment on “value for money” but I will say that at this level of hotel, it is hard to really make that assessment. You go here to have a special experience and I can only say, the hotel delivered in every aspect.

The Toggle Hotel, designed by Tokyo-based Klein Dytham architecture, boasts a contemporary and vibrant atmosphere with bright rooms, some featuring balconies. The hotel's facade showcases a cheerful yellow color to match the passing Chuo-Sobu Line trains, while the interior is adorned with bold two-tone color-blocking throughout. Guests can customize their experience by moving between different room setups and moods. Despite its small size, the hotel offers excellent service and a convenient location near train stations.
love love love this hotel! tokyo dome is extremely close and there is so much to do there, and the staff were all very lovely. the loft rooms can be quite short if you’re on the taller side like me (5’9) so i ended up hitting my head against the ceiling a couple of times. but would definitely stay here again!

A nice hotel. Super clean style, and great rooms. Super friendly staff. Located conveniently close to Lidibashi Station. Somewhat noisy at 8th floor where we stayed, as the hotel is glued in-between a highway, and a railroad. Some in the family did not find the noise bothering. Would go again. The breakfast is not the biggest and best, but OK, and provided in a nice cafe at the 9th floor.

This hotel was location was conveniently located near a couple of stations. The staff were all really friendly and spoke good English, check in was smooth and they were very helpful with luggage shipping. The room was big enough for 3 people with large suitcases but not all open at the same time. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the colours were fun. Would highly recommend!

Service is very good! We were not used to Thin Japanese mattresses but the staff were very friendly to find us more mattresses to stack on top to make it more comfortable. Staff very friendly and location is quite convienent. Rooms were a little too noisy for our liking next to a highway and a train but if you’re a heavy sleeper you will do fine! (Only reason this is 4 not 5 stars)

Excellent hotel for a short stay in Tokyo. Great location with quick and easy access to a number of metro stations/ public transports. Many great restaurants and close to Tokyo Dome. Lovely service and attention to details.

The hotel was clean, well equipped with utilities, and location was excellent for everything. My partner unfortunately had a car accident hours before a boarding the flight, which meant massive sudden changes to our trip plans. The staff at toggle hotel has been nothing but a life saver for us, from helping us call and canceling other bookings in Japanese, to helping us rent a wheel chair for our trip, and even holding some luggage for us to travel easier for the remaining of our trip. Without the wonderful staff here, our trip would have been an utter disaster to say the least. Thank you guys so much for being so accommodating and making us feel welcomed.

So if you want a quiet hotel, this is not a hotel for you, its level with a bunch of train tracks. The rooms were nice enough, clean. The common areas felt dirty -especially the elevators, for the entirety of our 4 day stay, there were the same handprints and dirt marks in the elevators and they kind of smelled. The staff were very nice!

Located in the heart of trendy Shimokitazawa, MUSTARD HOTEL SHIMOKITAZAWA offers a sleek and minimalist accommodation experience. The hotel features industrial-style coffee shop with a terrace, making it a perfect spot for streetwear enthusiasts to co-work or enjoy lunch on the outdoor patio. The surrounding area showcases urban planning history, with ample green space created over buried metro tracks.
A great place to stay in Tokyo! It’s modern, hip, and is in a fantastic neighborhood! The location is a highlight, it’s about a 5 minute walk to the Shimokitazawa station, and it’s an area rich with shops, cafes, and restaurants. The hotels front area offers amazing people watching. The lobby has a cafe attached which is delicious, and there’s a bar to the side too with some excellent Japanese spirits. The rooms are good, not great. Mine was a bit small, they have larger options but did not have any for my visit. While the room was on the small side, it was extremely comfortable. I was surprised by the lack of art pieces on the walls seeing as it’s in one of the most artistic and creative parts of Tokyo, but that’s just a minor detail. The staff was also incredibly welcoming and friendly!! Overall I loved the Mustard Hotel, its location is amazing, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff of very friendly.

Mustard Hotel was the sweetest gem. Located off of a bike path (not open to cars) meant that the area was quiet but lively with cyclists and pedestrians. The space was clean and comfortable, and we loved taking advantage of the record rentals for guests. It’s very well situated near trendy streets, and several train station options. We were only a short walk away from transit access to the rest of the city. The atmosphere of the hotel (and adjoining coffee shop) is trendy and cozy, and the stay was very reasonably priced. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming escape from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
Meagan B — Google review
I recently stayed at the Mustard Hotel Shimokitazawa for three nights, from November 15th to 18th in room 228. We were on the second floor, where the majority of the rooms are located. Design and Ambiance The hotel is undeniably cool, with a sleek aesthetic that flows from the exterior right into the lobby. The overall design feels very minimalist chic. The room itself is spartan, perfectly repeating the minimalist theme. We didn't end up using the famed record player in the room; it instead became an extra surface for placing our belongings. We had initially wanted one of the bigger rooms, but they weren't available during our stay, so the experience might be different in other room categories. Staff and Service The staff were polite and methodical, performing their duties - checking guests in and assisting with inquiries - with great efficiency. However, they lacked warmth and personality, making the interactions feel purely transactional. Location and Recommendation Shimokitazawa is a fantastic and fun neighborhood to explore. The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute stroll from the town center and is situated between two train stations. Mustard Hotel is an inexpensive option, but due to its small size, rooms book up quickly. If you're noise sensitive, I can definitely hear everything that's going on outside the window as it is a busy public pathway. We overheard conversations late into the night, those hanging out having their coffee and dogs greeting each other. If it is an issue for you, you should speak to the hotel before you book it. And if you live there and use that area to pour your heart out to your friends, just a note that we can hear everything.
Weeteck Y — Google review
The only good thing about this hotel is its location and neighbourhood is fantastic. The hotel from the outside, the main lobby with its coffee shop and bar looked amazing and I was very excited upon arrival, but unfortunately after the lobby, the rest of the facility was excruciatingly disappointing. The hallways and our room looked like a poorly maintained university/college dormitory. The hallway walls were scuffed up substantially. Our room was a bland unwelcoming space that resembled an empty student dorm. The size was not an issue, I expected as much in Tokyo, but the layout was poor with no decor or any other attempt to make the space cozier. Better use of millwork should have been considered to provide a bigger bed as well as more surfaces and storage space. The window curtains was also cut exactly to the size of the window, which made having black-out curtains pointless since light was still coming in at the sides and bottom. Whoever designed this hotel did not do a very good job in considering the details of how guests would be living in this space. After the lobby, everything else about this hotel felt like it was value-engineered, cheap and an afterthought. There were limited amenities, but they provided pajamas. We were required to put our waste receptacles and used towels outside our door in order to get them cleaned, otherwise there was no daily room cleaning. The mattress was firm but not in a comfortable way and pillows were deflated. Overall, a very disappointing hotel, I definitely would not recommend it other than for its location. I do want to make note that the front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, but that does not make up for the low quality facility.

So happy we decided to stay at Mustard Hotel! Clean, cool, great location, good amenities (cafe, bar, vinyl, laundry, etc.) and so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are indeed small (by US standards), but that’s Tokyo, baby! You won’t spend much time in it anyway, the neighborhood is too fun.
Maura T — Google review
Great hipsteresque hotel in a super cool area. Absolute recommendation for the location alone. The rooms are quite plain, but what do you need aside from a bed, a good shower and a vinyl player of course 😎
Mads C — Google review
Trendy lobby and a good location in (also very self consciously trendy) Shimo, but overall a much more budget or youth hostel-like experience than expected. Rooms very basic; thin walls, no bath or even TV in the "superior" room, small feeling standard double bed up against the window (so whoever is on the wall side gets a face full of dirty curtain and a cold draught coming though all night). No proper lighting controls or lamps. Lots of foreign tourists staying - whether you count that as a good or bad thing, visitors excited to be in Japan for the first time (and used to what 100 bucks a night gets you in London/Paris/NYC) won't care but, having lived in Tokyo many years, we feel very aware the rooms are below standard and overpriced for what you might expect at so many business motels around Tokyo (and actually we were at a 5-star hotel the prior few days scarcely $10 more than this per night). If you want to party in Shimo or Shibuya you're paying for the location, basically, plus a little English service at reception.
Thom H — Google review
Stay here for the location and location only. The aesthetic lobby and cafe area is great however, that’s where it ends… as soon as you get to the second level hallway you realise how run down this place is. The carpets are stained and smell, the walls are chipped and scratched, and the amenities area (washer/dryer, water, vending machine) looks like an afterthought. The size of our room wasn’t the issue. The bed and pillows were the worst I’ve slept on leading to three restless nights. The room itself is almost hospital like with nothing but a record player on the desk. The staff are friendly and the location is fantastic.

Tokyo Disneyland is a magical extension of the beloved theme park experience, nestled in the vibrant Chiba Prefecture. This enchanting destination offers an array of thrilling rides, captivating live shows, and delightful encounters with costumed characters that bring your favorite Disney stories to life. Visitors can immerse themselves in the whimsical atmosphere while exploring iconic attractions like Cinderella Castle.
What a great park. We personally liked this park more than Disney Sea but still had a great time. There was not as many people here and felt a lot calmer than the other one which is a great switch. It’s super clean, the staff were helpful, and the rides were all unique enough to be fun and enjoyable. The food was also great and had an easy time finding our way around the park. It does get very hot in August, so please be prepared for the heat. We recommend using the fast passes when you arrive. If you are a tourist, they are worth it if you know you won’t come back. But we love Disney! And this park was no exception!

Our visit to Tokyo Disneyland was absolutely magical from start to finish! The park was beautifully maintained, and every corner was filled with Disney charm. The parades, attractions, and staff hospitality were all top-notch — it truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. What made our experience even more special was our stay at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. The hotel was simply fabulous — elegant, spotless, and perfectly themed. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Our room had a beautiful view of the park, and the convenience of being just steps away from the entrance made it easy to fully enjoy our day. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a great mix of Japanese and Western dishes. We also appreciated the little Disney touches everywhere — from the decor to the amenities. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return and make more magical memories! ✨

Tokyo Disneyland was such a fun and magical experience! The park feels super clean, well-organized, and full of classic Disney charm. The parade and shows are amazing—honestly some of the best I’ve seen at any Disney park. My favorite rides were Pooh’s Hunny Hunt (the trackless tech is so smooth and cute), Big Thunder Mountain, and Monsters Inc. Ride & Go Seek. The food is great too—tons of cute themed snacks and unique popcorn flavors. It does get crowded, but the cast members are incredibly kind and efficient, so everything runs smoothly. Overall, it’s a fantastic mix of nostalgia, creativity, and Japanese attention to detail. A must-visit for Disney fans!

I absolutely loved visiting Tokyo Disneyland. It was so amazing and very much worth the money. Before going I wasn't so keen because I'm not so in to rides and Disney has connotations of being for kids. Each of the rides was varied and had so much detail in them though. There were some thrill seeker rides but also many calm ones. All the rides I went on were so much fun! Staff were wonderful all throughout my time there too. They were all so happy and upbeat, very friendly, courteous and helpful. Wait times were long for the rides but once on them, I forgot about my wait completely. The atmosphere of the rides as well as the whole park was a very happy one. The park was very crowded but it catered well for it. There were many places to eat located throughout the park. I thought they were reasonably priced. The park was kept very clean too. I would highly recommend visiting Tokyo Disneyland and am keen to come back!
Map R — Google review
For this park with did vacation package with unlimited priority pass and early entry. This also allowed us to schedule a reservation for an early dinner. I highly recommend this option due to the crowds. We were able to do the park in one day. If we did not have these benefits, I would allow 2-3 days to do the entire park. The park is absolutely amazing! The rides, food, service and employees are fantastic.
Will G — Google review
All the reviews I read told me to go SUPER early. We went on a Wednesdat and arrived at a reasonable time ~8:30am and waited ~45min to get into the park. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying your park tickets in advance and installing the Tokyo Disney Resort app. Then, make a group on the app and add everyone before entering the park! This will make it easier for you to book everyone using one device for the Disney premier access and priority pass once you get into the park. Had we not used the app to do so, wait times went up to 3+ hours. We waited 1 hour max for all the rides we went on. If you come prepared, you will be able to get the full experience. Otherwise, I'd imagine it'll be a full day of waiting which would ruin the experience.
Jen D — Google review
The staff were all friendly and it was a beautiful theme park. It is a great place to take your kids but if you are looking for more thrilling rides then you would need to look elsewhere. Food here is more affordable than other theme parks but lines for food vendors can be quite long. If you want a streamline experience at Disney land download the app and pay for fast passes every hour or two when you get into the venue. The app also has a map with all facilities and shows if they are operational too!
Brandon L — Google review
Very exciting place always for the kids and family. Very easy to navigate from public transport getting there to inside the theme park. Although queues can be over one hour wait time for most rides. So get in early as possible. The price will always be an expensive place from eating to merchandise. Then again it’s part of the whole experience.

Located just south of Shinjuku and near the iconic Yoyogi National Gymnasium, it's easily accessible for both locals and tourists alike.
A nice park to relax in or go for a jog. Most of the park is tree lined paths and bench areas though it has a few extra sections. There is a beautiful butterfly garden on the south side that I'd recommend. A herb / rose garden. A dog park. And a lake for viewing birds... Though they were hiding during our visit.

Green, expansive, gorgeous. There are so many words that could describe Yoyogi Park but those are my top three. I loved the greenery, art, wildlife, and the First Flight Monument. Easy to get to, easy to navigate. Even though we walked around for a few hours, there was still more to see. Don’t miss it! Photography by Jason Taylor (Except for the pictures I took)

A newfound favorite park! 🌿 It’s very clean and well-maintained, making it such a pleasant place to explore. I visited in winter (January) and loved that it wasn’t crowded. Just be sure to dress warmly so you can fully enjoy walking around. There are food stalls around, but since Shibuya is within walking distance, you’ll have plenty of dining options nearby. Definitely a must-visit spot in Tokyo!

Beautiful gem found right around the corner from Harajuku station. Conveniently located & within walking distance of Takeishita street shopping area. I went on a Sunday and it was busy but not crowded. The park is filled with gorgeous big lush trees, giving off such a peaceful vibe. I loved seeing the shrine and all the gates. This is a great place to come if you're looking to get a break from the hustle and bustle, to relax or have a little lunch. At the Yoyogi park main stage you'll find alot of events happening. Filled with live performances to tons of food tents. Highly recommends to stop by and take it all in.

Beautiful and very lovely, at least today (26th October), with many food stalls and musicians playing. If you continue and walk more to the centre of the park, it’s much quieter (it was also the end of the day, so it might me more crowded on the morning or early afternoon). Too bad there’s a lot of construction going on (hence the 4 stars), as I was hoping to come here and relax, to escape from the Shibuya madness!…

People say it's like Central Park in NYC. It is indeed a big and enjoyable park. But I don't know why I can't find the huge pond with a fontaine in the center of the park. I think it is under renovation because I saw a huge circular metal wall in the park. Other than that, it is really a nice place to chill, walk, and sit under the trees. It is serene and so green!

Haneda Airport is a waterfront airport that serves the Greater Tokyo Area and offers direct rail access to the city, as well as free WiFi. Travelers can take the Keikyu Limousine Bus to Yokohama Station and transfer to the Yokosuka Line or Shonan Shinjuku Line to reach Kamakura Station, which takes about an hour.
Flight was excellent, airport is massive but the process of getting off, going through customs and grabbing our luggage was phenomenal! So well organized. Be prepared to go through miles of transit to get places with very fast, paced people moving in a quick manner. Loved flying over the city before landing. Just amazing.

📍 Haneda Airport 羽田空港 @ Japan 🇯🇵 Haneda Airport continues to impress me every time I travel through it. The entire airport is clean, modern, and very well-organised, making both arrival and departure smooth and stress-free. Many of the staff can speak English, and there are also Mandarin-speaking staff, which makes communication easy for international travellers. Everyone we met was polite, helpful, and attentive, always ready to guide passengers with clear instructions. The design and structure of the airport layout are thoughtfully planned — signage is clear, walkways are smooth, and the flow between immigration, baggage claim, and transport is very efficient. There are plenty of food options, convenience stores, and resting areas, making the airport comfortable even during longer waits. For travellers renting a car, the pickup process is straightforward with convenient access to major expressways. One improvement I would suggest is to bring in more last-minute shopping brands, especially for travellers who come for activities like hiking or sports. Having stores such as ABC-MART, outdoor gear shops, or basic hiking essentials would be very helpful and much appreciated by many travellers who need quick, last-minute purchases before heading out. Overall, Haneda Airport remains one of the best, most user-friendly airports in Asia — clean, efficient, easy to navigate, and supported by multilingual, friendly staff. A perfect airport experience from start to finish. ✈️🇯🇵✨

Tokyo Airport❤️💕👍 Tokyo Airport is one of the best airports I’ve ever travelled through. Everything runs with quiet efficiency. The staff are polite, patient, and always ready to guide you with a smile. Their professionalism sets a high standard. The airport is extremely clean. Floors, seating areas, washrooms, everything feels fresh and well-maintained. Security checks are respectful and quick, without any unnecessary hassle. Food options are amazing, from Japanese meals to international choices. The service is fast, hygienic, and the ambience feels calm even during busy hours. Shopping areas are well-arranged, and duty-free is worth exploring. Navigation is simple thanks to clear signboards. Whether you’re arriving or departing, the process moves smoothly. Transport options like trains, buses, and taxis are right outside, making travel super convenient. The overall design and atmosphere are peaceful, with big windows offering beautiful views of the runway. It’s the kind of airport where you actually enjoy waiting. Highly recommended for a comfortable, safe, and world-class travel experience.

Haneda Airport is the closer and more convenient gateway into Tokyo, and it served us beautifully on our Oct/Nov 2025 trip. It’s easy to navigate, brimming with shops and restaurants, and wonderfully straightforward when it comes to taxis and rideshares. Our one curious observation came on departure day: you’re dropped off at the departures level… only to immediately queue for one of three elevators just to reach the second floor JAL check-in counters for luggage drop and boarding passes. A bit of a bottleneck in an otherwise well-oiled operation. Beyond that quirk, every staff member we encountered was gracious, helpful, and polished. The main terminal is vibrant and pleasant, and the JAL First Class Lounge is a world unto itself - spacious, serene, and generously stocked with meals, snacks, and drinks that could make you forget you’re in an airport at all. If you’re flying out of Haneda, I’d give yourself a comfortable three hours. That leaves you enough time to glide through check-in, handle security, and still wander the shops or enjoy one last proper Japanese meal before boarding your plane.
Thomas R — Google review
Haneda Airport is very beautiful and incredibly well-organised. There are plenty of food options and even designated smoking areas, which made the wait super comfortable. They also have limited-edition Haneda Airport Pikachu Pokémon in a vending machine, which was such a cute surprise! The staff were so accommodating - I couldn’t find the convenience store (jet lag + brain fog had me thinking I was on level 1 when I was actually on level 3 😅), and an officer not only gave directions but even walked me all the way there to make sure I got there safely. Amazing service!
Felicity — Google review
Haneda Airport Terminal 1 is clean and easy to move through, with helpful staff and good services. It’s comfortable for travelers, but the facilities and shops in Terminal 2 are better and more modern. Still, T1 offers a smooth and pleasant airport experience.

The first time I went here was the first time I traveled abroad and I was amazed by how amazing it was. And the cleanliness, modern, and attention to the vulnerable people, all combined to make this a world class Airport.

Fuji if you’re lucky, and you’re a short walk from Shibuya station. There’s even a convenience store in the building. Some things I love about this hotel: an English copy of the Japan Times brought to your room every morning; a bathtub with bath salts next to a walk-in shower; turn down service with fresh pajamas, tea and chocolates every evening; if you want ice, you have to call for it, but it’s brought to you quickly and is way higher quality than normal hotel ice; Nespresso in the room; a separate kettle for tea; they received a package for me and brought it to my room. Disclaimer: I had an executive room, so I’m not sure how much of this is standard, but I think you’re in for a treat regardless staying here. As a vegetarian I found the breakfast buffet to be sort of disappointing for 4200 JPY. They have omelettes and even vegan egg, but aside from that it was just the basics: salad, pancakes, yogurt, pastries, and overall kind of small. Well, the fresh squeezed orange juice and honey from the comb was special, but I hoped for more vegetarian hot dishes, or at least a rice porridge station. My partner said the fish was very high quality, though. The lobby cafe has pastries if you just want a light breakfast. (The White Glass cafe next door is really good too.)

Highly recommend! Corner king on the executive floor with city view. One of the highlights of our trip, a view that we will remember forever. Tokyo tower and SKYTREE are redundant with a room like this. Facilities are in superb condition, attention to detail is clearly their forte. Location is perfect. Explore chaotic Shibuya and retreat back to the Cerulean oasis. Staff incredibly nice and accommodating. The concierge hooked us up with some last minute reservations close by, and tips for the Shinkansen.

I have stayed at several hotels in Tokyo and Cerulean Tower has been the best by far. The rooms are very spacious. My husband and I were able to keep our suitcases open in the room without feeling like we were living on top of each other. The housekeeping staff clean the room twice a day (morning and evening turn down service). The amenities like the gym and restaurants inside the hotel are also very nice. The gym and pool is a little dated but they are very well maintained. The hotel's location is a very easy 5 min walk from Shibuya station. In addition, Cerulean Tower is a stop for the airport limousine bus. So getting to and from the airport with our luggage was so easy.

Great service. Exceptional dining and facilities. Opted for the executive access and would highly recommend. We had breakfast on the 35th floor and the staff were so kind. We also had breakfast downstairs in the lobby and the selection was phenomenal. Room was perfect. All areas were clean. This hotel is centrally located to Shibuya so it was perfect for sightseeing during the day and stopping off to drop off shopping bags in the afternoon. I would highly recommend.

The biggest highlight of my stay here was the staff. Every person from check in to check out made me feel welcomed and in luxury. Everything was made easy by the staff from inquiries of a room change (didn’t have to) to white gloved taxi callers, making you never have to lift a finger. Complete luxury feeling. The cerulean level rooms have an absolutely stunning view of the city and Mt. Fuji when the weather is clear. Luxury amenities, great bathroom fixtures and shower, oversized king bed all fit in a spacious room. The cerulean lounge was a great spot every morning for great coffee and snacks for the day. Being on the 30th floor was a sweet spot for me to see the cars and people going by and also far out into the horizon. The area around this hotel is hilly so be prepared to walk up and down hill. Shibuya and the scramble/tower are a short 8 minute walk away making it pretty convenient. Overall a 5/5 experience for the cerulean room, with a 10/10 experience with the entire staff lineup.

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The facilities are excellent. The lobby is impressive. The rooms are a good size and VERY quiet. Although expensive - it’s worth it. The 40th floor bar somehow straddles both elegance and charm and the views are incredible. I can’t wait to return.

Amazing hotel in perfect location. The view from our room was spectacular. Staff very friendly and attentive. The western breakfast was fantastic but if you can try the Japanese breakfast it was an event so beautiful. The gym was good and the 25m pool pristine. We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I visited Tokyo for the first time in June and stayed at The Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel. I was initially hesitant to book this hotel because of some mixed reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel was exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The location couldn’t be better, just steps away from the famous Shibuya Crossing and Shibuya Sky. One of the highlights of our stay was the stunning view of Mt. Fuji from our room. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Tokyo. Highly recommended!

Dole Bananas Vending Machine ! Yes, this is correct. I had never in my life seen a Bananas vending machine. The concept is very unique and convenient, because if you are in a rush, is quite easy grab a fresh banana. The creativity and business opportunities have no limit in Japan !

This is the largest station in the Shibuya area and also the terminal station of the Tokyo Metro’s Ginza Line (銀座線). Shibuya Sky is just a short walk away.

This place is crowded, especially at peak hours. There are many transportation modes that you can choose, such as buses, subways, and trains. Many tourists came here because of several tourist attractions that can be found here, such as Hachiko Statue, Shibuya Crossings, Shibuya Sky, and others. It is easy to be accessed and there are plenty of luggage storages. Please note this: to get subway passes you should go to the upper part of train station (exit B6 of Ginza Line), and don't go to the basement.

Shibuya is adrenaline in crosswalk form—music spilling from stores, teens in fresh fits, office folks switching into night mode. The new station is a maze of glass and views; outside it’s pop culture turned real life. Loud, fun, always moving. Tourist Tip: For Hachikō/Scramble, follow the Hachikō Exit signs. Fukutoshin/Hanzōmon/Ginza/Den-en-Toshi/Inokashira transfers are well signed—leave extra time.

Probably one of the most modern and biggest station after shinjuku .This place is huge and a true labyrinth .the worst nightmare for any unseason tourist .DIRTY BATHROOMS. Some of the stuff is very unclear and poorly indicated . If you are looking to exit yoy may have to go up to the next level . Dont fall for all the grossly overpriced tourist shops inside , plenty of better one outside in shibuya . This station is very modern with giant ad screen generating massive heat and while its great during winter its miserable during soring summer . Part of the station are very clean part of it very dirty and in dear need of tlc . The huge benefit of this station is its connected to small stores restaurents and big department store .easy access from the streets multiple entrances. Some of the lockers get full quick you will have to walk to a further different exit to find empty ones

So many people even they're locals or tourist. But don't worry you'll get lost. All the sign are informative. Many people are heading to Hachiko statue or Shibuya crossing. If you're get out in the wrong gate, you have to go around the side of the station to get there. But walking here are so comfortable and I enjoyed my walk

The Imperial Hotel Tokyo is an elegant and upscale establishment with a rich history dating back to 1890. Despite enduring various challenges over the years, including bombings and earthquakes, the hotel has maintained its legacy of perfection. It has been a preferred choice for royalty, celebrities, statesmen, and business leaders. The property boasts 13 restaurants and 4 bars, offering a grand dining experience. Guests can also enjoy amenities such as an indoor pool, sauna, and event facilities.
We have been staying with imperial hotel every time we come to Tokyo and I cannot recommend more for the service and atmosphere this hotel offers, not to mention the rich and unique history of this hotel. From the moment I arrived at the Imperial Hotel, everything was flawless. The location is unbeatable — centrally positioned with easy access to major attractions, shopping, and public transport, yet offering a peaceful and elegant atmosphere away from the city’s rush. The service is where this hotel truly shines. Every staff member I encountered was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. Whether it was the smooth check-in, the helpful concierge, or the impeccable housekeeping, the standard of hospitality was consistently outstanding. The blend of classic charm and modern comfort throughout the hotel made the stay even more special. It’s clear that attention to detail and guest experience are top priorities here. A truly memorable stay — I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and top-tier service in Tokyo.

Our first stay at the Imperial Hotel has been wonderful. When we checked in, our original room was too far of a walk and we weren’t fully satisfied. Thankfully, Kiera at the reception stepped in right away and took amazing care of us. With his coordination, the team upgraded us to a much closer and more comfortable room, accommodating us to our full satisfaction. The location of the hotel is incredible, just steps away from high-end shopping districts and within easy walking distance to many of the best spots in the city. The rooftop lounge is beautiful, and the view, including the Imperial Palace, has truly added something special to our stay. The history behind the hotel is also fascinating, and learning about it made us appreciate the experience even more. Thanks to Kiera and the hotel’s perfect combination of comfort, service, and history, we are enjoying every moment. This is our first visit, but certainly not our last. Highly recommended!

Rooms are a bit dated in the tower section, but the building is staffed by some of the most professional members I've ever seen. The service at this hotel is truly top-notch, just as other reviews attest. I want to give a special shout-out to Sakon, a trainee at the concierge desk—she was absolutely amazing. As a fairly avid traveler, I’m usually adept at navigating complex bookings, but Japan’s myriad transportation options presented a real challenge. I had a very specific request with multiple variables, and Sakon handled it all with impressive knowledge and patience. She not only helped me book what I needed but also found quicker, more efficient alternatives that I couldn’t have discovered on my own. Her assistance truly elevated my trip: My planned hike on Mount Fuji seemed impossible due to fully booked buses and trains, but she uncovered viable options that made it happen. On top of that, she patiently guided me through esoteric Japanese websites to secure the reservations. Thank you, Sakon, for significantly improving my experience and saving my hike—your service was exemplary! Overall, the hotel delivers excellent service across the board. If I must be critical, the Tower room I stayed in could use a modern update, though it was impeccably clean and still provided a great stay. You won’t be disappointed here!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The service blew us away. Everyone we interacted with was so kind and helpful and really went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. They shipped our luggage for us right at the front desk, and when I left a personal item in the room by accident, they responded immediately and held on to it for me. The toiletries provided were amazing and the room was super clean and well appointed - and quiet! The hotel is a quick 10 min walk from Tokyo station which made it an easy choice for us for our short stay, and there are a lot of restaurants and bars nearby as well as a beautiful park. You can access multiple subway lines and there is also a taxi stand at the hotel for added convenience. We really enjoyed our stay here! Finding a hotel in Tokyo is overwhelming, but I would recommend this hotel to anyone who asked.

InterContinental the Strings Tokyo, an IHG Hotel offers a comfortable stay with two restaurants, a cozy bar, and a gym. The standard rooms provide efficient use of space and offer picturesque views of Tokyo Bay, Tokyo Tower, and Shinagawa Station. However, light sleepers may want to avoid the Shinagawa view due to train noise. Lofted rooms provide perfect spots for enjoying city lights.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! The rooms are quiet, a decent size with modern decor, and in excellent location with a pedestrian bridge attached to Shinagawa station. The restaurant and bar are great. What makes this hotel stand out is the phenomenal staff. They are extremely friendly and professional. Their attention to detail and care for their guests is on another level!
D R — Google review
The Strings by Intercontinental Hotel in Shinagawa offers a fantastic location with excellent connectivity to Haneda Airport and Tokyo Station. Its central positioning makes it a convenient choice for travelers, and the spacious rooms add to the comfort of the stay. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. The air conditioning was not particularly effective, requiring me to request a fan in the middle of the night. Additionally, during summer, only two small water bottles (500ml each) were provided daily, which was insufficient. I had to request extra bottles every night—something that could easily be addressed with a more generous allocation. On the positive side, the view from room 3135 was stunning, offering a scenic glimpse of Haneda Airport and the mesmerizing sight of planes landing through a large glass window. It was truly a highlight of the stay. One detail that puzzled me was the inconsistency in room rates. Despite booking four consecutive nights, the second night was priced 350 yen higher than the rest, without a satisfactory explanation. While the amount itself was small, it raised questions about pricing policies—whether this is a standard practice in Japanese hotels or a broader global phenomenon. The breakfast experience was exceptional, thanks to the warm and attentive Nepali staff, especially Minato-san, who handled requests with patience and professionalism. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a variety of healthy choices and a great selection of buffet items, all enjoyed under natural sunlight filtering from the top of the building. A special mention to Tanaka-san at the front desk, who kindly accommodated an early check-in, making the arrival experience seamless and welcoming. Overall, The Strings by Intercontinental Hotel provides a comfortable and well-located stay with breathtaking views and excellent service. With some tweaks in air conditioning, water supply, and pricing transparency, it could truly elevate the guest experience.

Beautiful hotel, stayed in the city view room and it was a very large size room compared to other hotels we stayed at across Japan. As we don’t fit the usual demographic of someone staying here, I did feel that when we entered the initial lobby we were questioned rather a lot if we were guests of the hotel. Although I could be looking into it too much. The breakfast buffet was lovely, and it was great to receive a 2pm late check out before our red-eye flight. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I would definitely stay again!

An Exceptional Experience – The Best InterContinental I Have Ever Visited As an IHG Diamond Member and InterContinental Ambassador, I frequently stay at IHG properties worldwide, but The Strings InterContinental Tokyo has truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment of check-in, the hotel presents itself as a serene oasis in the heart of the city – perfectly connected yet incredibly tranquil. The service is outstanding. Every team member demonstrates professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine warmth. A special mention goes to Aye Htel, who assisted us with the check-in in the Club Lounge and provided flawless service throughout our five-night stay, from start to finish. Aya Datra also delivered exceptional service, ensuring every detail was perfectly attended to. The drinks, the stunning views, and the meticulous attention to detail created an unforgettable stay. I have rarely experienced such a high level of hospitality. For me, this is the finest InterContinental property I have visited, surpassing even the Downtown Los Angeles location. We will most certainly return.

We loved our stay! It's has direct access to thr subway (albeit difficult to find coming in for the first time), so it's far enough out and quiet while being accessible to the other neighborhoods. The rooms were so nice, breakfast was 10/10. We also enjoyed the themed afternoon tea. They also organzied our luggage transfer to the next city. Loved everything!

The Strings by InterContinental Tokyo was the perfect mix of comfort, luxury, and genuinely thoughtful service. The rooms were sleek, quiet, and had an awesome view — everything felt high-end but still relaxed. Big shoutout to Kenny, who was so kind and helpful. Not only did he make us feel super welcome, but he also gave us some terrific pointers on Japanese anime locations to check out. Honestly, his tips made our trip way more fun — we got to visit spots we wouldn’t have found on our own. The location was super convenient for getting around Tokyo, and everything from check-in to checkout was smooth. If you’re into anime, want great hospitality, or just want a really comfortable stay in Tokyo, this place checks all the boxes. Kenny especially made it memorable.

A poor check-in experience can ruin a stay no matter the quality of the facilities. The front staff (Watanabe) was rather rude after there was a discrepancy in the number if guests booked. She would not answer basic questions and kept asking for me to show the confirmation mail (which didn't state the number of guests booked), then yet another mail, then the app, which I don't have. The views vary, my room overlooks the all-night brightly lit construction of the new train line with quite audible noise. Not what you'd expect for the price, but then perhaps that intentional as part of the botched check-in process. The location is indeed convenient, but there are many nice properties within easy reach of Haneda, e.g. the Conrad in Shiodome, which isn't next to a giant construction site.

Tokyo Disney Resort is conveniently located near the famous Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park, where visitors can enjoy picnics on the vast lawns, especially during cherry blossom season. Tokyo DisneySea features its own original characters, including the beloved Duffy bear and his friends, with exclusive merchandise available at various shops throughout the park.
This was my first Disney experience, and it was so enjoyable! I'm not a super fan by any means but from an amusement park overall it is highly organized. Every employee is cheerful with a smile and energy that is infectious. And there was not a single bad or lame ride. Everything is so well executed. The food is not great, but that is easy to forget once you walk around and continue having fun. The jungle Cruise and Cinderella were my favorite, and the parades are so well done they are awesome not to be missed! Pro tip: get in early to take advantage of all the passes and cut down on wait times!

A magical experience for all ages! Tokyo Disneyland is pure magic from the moment you enter. The rides are fun and well-maintained, the parades and shows are spectacular, and the park is beautifully themed down to every detail. Staff are friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. Perfect for families, friends, or solo visitors who want to feel the Disney magic. Don’t forget to try the themed snacks and take lots of photos!

Such a magical place. My husband normally hates rides but even he ended up going on most of them! There’s a great mix of gentle train/boat rides and fun thrills like Splash Mountain with its multiple drops. The parades were fantastic, especially the evening ones all lit up. We were also pleasantly surprised by the food prices. Considering it’s a huge tourist attraction, the food was reasonably priced and there were plenty of tasty options. The evening fireworks as the park closed were the perfect ending — a magical finale to an unforgettable day. Tokyo Disneyland is simply a must-visit! 🎆✨

Imagine a beautiful painting of an elegant mansion fit for a royal family. That's what this place feels like. The staff are super helpful. We booked with a vacation package, and booked an additional day. Unfortunately we had to switch rooms because the vacation package was under my wife's name, and the extra booking was under mine. Even though we shared the same Surname, it's considered different and couldn't combine it. Anyway, the rooms are beautiful, and very spacious. Tons of amenities and freebies, my kids took all the slippers and toothbrushes. And right out the courtyard is non other than the entrance to Disneyland Tokyo. It's an awesome hotel, but very expensive. I give this hotel a wooooo!
Edward N — Google review
It was magical. I expected it to be a replica of Disneyland in Anaheim, but its rrally more a version of that park. Whole there are a lot of familiar elements, it is also very unique. The castle is Cinderella's and not Sleeping Beauty's, and they have a second castle, Beauty and The Beast's. This was the most magical ride! The haunted mansion was the same inside (but it's all spoken in Japanese), but the exterior is a red brick facade. It is well worth a day in your itinerary (and it's much less expensive than Disney in the States).

The vacation package was expensive, but it allowed us to do both parks in 2 days with the priority pass, early entry and food reservation benefits. The resort was beautiful and well maintained. The service was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Disney Tokyo is truly one of if not the best Disney I went to, only because of Disney Sea. The Disneyland park is really similar to what we have in Paris, except maybe for a couple attractions but Disney Sea is really something else entirely ! The lands are massive and the decorations are beautiful, tons of references to Disney characters and locations, it was magical 🤩 We had a hitel package that comes with fast passes for selected attractions and it was necessary as some had more than 2 hours of line and some 3 hours !! But because of those 3 passes, we could enjoy those without even 3 minutes of waiting, it is definitely worth it if you plan on going. Plenty of vegan options in the restaurant so that's great, the app is also quite nice even if it can be buggy at times. A must see if you like Disney and you're in Tokyo for more than a week.
Burabetsu — Google review
I was so looking forward to my first ever visit to Disneyland. It was overwhelming and people LOVED to push you around and push you and your child who was in a pram without even caring. The amount of people that were in the park was unreal. 20 minutes into opening and some attractions had 100 minute wait times already. It was hard to navigate at times with the amount of people and the fact that people were already lined up for the parade that was happening at 12:30pm. Finding food was easy but then you'd have to contend with crowds of 30 deep or 45-60+ minute wait times. I was able to find some honey popcorn that was less than exciting and then to find allergen food that was only available at 3 locations meant I couldn't just get food easily. I waited in line for 45 minutes to get some odd tasting sausages but also the BEST chocolate macaroon I've ever eaten!! What was going for it; the Toon Town area while busy with people didn't have huge waits for the areas for kids to play and get some energy out. The macaroon - I will think about this a lot. The staff were always really helpful and friendly and so happy to try and accommodate what they could. The Monsters Inc ride was also great and a good bit of fun. The baby areas were ready to use and also made having a baby there and needing to change or feed them less daunting. These aren't on the map but are able to be found in corners of some worlds. Experiencing the Christmas side of Disney was also very special. Also try to set up to order food through OneDisney to order food ahead of time!! If my phone could receive text messages to verify payment methods I would've been all over this! My biggest recommendation is that if you're planning to do Universal and Disneyland. Do Universal last cause you will not leave disappointed or overwhelmed. The fireworks were also suspended at the beginning of the day and then they were put back on for 8:30pm for 5 minutes.
