Fried chicken takeaway
Syokudo and Teishoku restaurant
Chicken restaurant
Torian is a bustling izakaya located just a minute or two from Ikebukuro station, making it an easy stop for a quick bite and drink. The crowded ground-floor counter is often filled with solo diners. Additionally, this small fried chicken restaurant offers amazing karaage that is juicy inside and crispy outside. The affordable meal sets are filling, and the chef efficiently handles seating, orders, and food preparation.
This small fried chicken restaurant is amazing. The karaage was juicy inside and crispy outside. The meal sets are affordable and fills you up. The chef is quick with seating us and getting out order then preparing the food. It was just him when I was there with my nephews.

(Translated by Google) The waiter's response was disappointing. When I called out to order, they said "wait a moment," so I waited, but they continued to concentrate on cooking and didn't notice me for a while. I thought I would be able to order when the food was handed over to another customer, but they started cooking the next dish, and when I called back, they said "please wait a little longer." I ended up waiting for about 10 minutes, but I wasn't even able to order, so I just left the restaurant. I could tell that they were carefully preparing each dish, but I think they should have spoken to customers and paid a little more attention to them.

Izakaya restaurant
Furaibo, originally from Nagoya and gaining popularity in Tokyo, is a must-visit for its delectable fresh chicken wings fried to perfection and seasoned with their signature sauce. The restaurant offers a set meal including sashimi, fried shrimp, and tuna cutlet skewers at an affordable price. However, due to its growing fame, it's advisable to arrive early as the lunch menus tend to sell out quickly.
Very high quality Izakaya in Yoyogi area!! Not in so many occasions I did really like every small plates served in a course. The owners are nice and friendly. They also do lunch on weekdays.
Sivaporn S — Google review
(Translated by Google) I visited Yoyogi on my way to Yoyogi for a company health check. When we arrived around 11:40, there was already a line of about 5 people waiting for their turn. Six types of lunch menus are posted near the entrance, and you order by number while you wait. All menus were priced at 1,000 yen✨ It seems that each menu will probably sell out after about 5 to 10 servings. The store opens at 11:30, but by 11:45 many menu items are sold out. We recommend that you go early. This was my first time seeing it, but the stewed golden sea bream I was aiming for slipped in at the last minute. The main dish is boiled red sea bream, and as a side dish, there is refreshingly flavored bonito tataki, miso soup with a lot of nameko mushrooms, and 3 small side dishes such as okra and hiyayakko. The balance is perfect. 1,000 yen including tax is way too much. I don't think I have much to do in Yoyogi in my daily life, but it seems worth coming here just for lunch. Thank you for the feast🎆 (Original)

(Translated by Google) This may be the best lunch in Yoyogi. I received a set meal of sashimi, fried shrimp, and tuna cutlet skewers for 1,000 yen including tax. First of all, it's fast. Within a minute or two, the rice, sashimi, and small side dish were served, followed by the miso soup and cutlet later. Very reasonable. The sashimi is of good quality and has 4 types + salmon roe. The miso soup that came out late was also delicious. What impressed me most were the fried shrimp and tuna cutlet. The fried shrimp has a sweet taste and the melt-in-your-mouth texture is the best. The tuna cutlet has a strong flavor and is soft. And it’s huge! I was surprised that this cost 1000 yen. I've been here several times and every menu is delicious. The tuna bowl and rose chirashi bowl are also excellent. All of the dishes that come with the rice bowl, such as the salmon harasu, are delicious.

(Translated by Google) A friend invited me to this restaurant and said, ``There's a restaurant that has delicious lunch.'' It was a restaurant where I had witnessed long lines during lunch several times in the past. There are several types of daily lunch specials, and there is a menu at the entrance, where you choose your lunch and announce it as soon as you enter. The food was served quickly and it was a really delicious lunch. The inside of the restaurant is small considering it's a popular restaurant, so you may have to share your seats. The turnover rate is fast, so I don't think you need to wait that long. It's a restaurant you'll want to be in before 11:20, when it gets very crowded. Korean restaurant
Delica Ondoru Shin Okubo no.2 store is a popular spot with a bustling atmosphere and delicious Korean cuisine. The restaurant offers an extensive menu featuring authentic dishes like hot pot, bibimbap in hot stone bowls, and complimentary kimbap for lunch. It's known for its modern cafe-like ambiance and also provides mini-banquet courses for groups, complete with various side dishes and dessert.
Tasty korean bbq (grilled pork)!! This shop is located on the side of main road, underground. The stairs are steep so be careful. We ordered a Dolsot bibimbap, Korean bbq set and cheese Tteok bokki. Korean bbq was amazing, highly recommended! Cheese Tteok bokki was quite spicy for us but it's tasty and good potion to share with 2 people. Lunch time is available till 4pm. Staff are mostly nice. Inside restaurant is clean and enough space for each tables.

Pretty good Korean resto overall. Food was good. The place had a nice vibe too. It was pretty packed when we went, so seems like a lot of people like it. Would come back for sure when I’m in the mood for Korean again.
Ara A — Google review
Shin-Okubo is a well-known Korean street that is within reach of Shinjuku. Korean restaurants serve authentic cuisine except the prices are unreasonable at most places. I recommend this Korean restaurant as the portion is generous and there is a good selection of set meals for approximately 12 US dollars. Generally, pork is my least favorite. However, because it is the signature dish I tried it last time, and since then I have really liked the Grilled Pork Belly set. It was very tasty and I have had it twice since I visited this place. The lunch menu is until five. It was very satisfying with a lot of meat and other vegetables. Also, you can pay an additional ¥990 charge for one hour of all-you-can-drink alcohol before 4 pm. So grab the opportunity and come enjoy it.
Ann C — Google review
Famous Korean restaurant around here, open very late or maybe 24hrs. All foods here basically set standards of Korean foods around here to me, good benchmark not exceptionally good but very good and you will always be satisfied. Because the place is busy usually, staffs are a bit mechanical in a way but serving very fast. If you are unsure where to eat, then this is the place that you don't make mistake.
Shohei. O — Google review
Came in search of cold Korean noodles after a hot day of walking and left slightly disappointed. Granted, we are a Korean rooted family trying to eat Korean food in Japan. Overall it was good and priced decently. The Bad: Plain cold noodles were bland, lacked flavor and depth. Spicy cold noodles weren't spicy at all. Bibimbap lacked flavor and a little dry. The Good: Banchan was 7/10, the radish kimchi was 10/10. Spicy cold noodles had a little flavor. Mando was good, 9.5/10. Bulgogi was 6/10. The extra juice from the additional bulgogi we ordered (not shown) improved the bibimbap.

Delicaondoru UNDERGROUND branch. Worst experience with Korean BBQ so far. Not fresh, very stinky meat—I can smell the bad smell right when they started grilling it in front of us. Unlike the other branch, most if not all the staff here are not Korean that’s why the food is pretty bad. We didn’t care to finish everything for the first time, it’s how bad it is. I thought you can never go wrong with Korean BBQ. When we requested for a little more lettuce leaves, they gave us way too much and when we asked if they can make it much less—they said not to worry about it. It’s very wasteful to me.

Izakaya restaurant
Macchan is a well-liked Korean eatery with two branches in the Shin Okubo area. It's renowned for its Samgyeopsal, a Korean pork belly BBQ dish, featuring notably thick cuts of pork belly. The restaurant offers great value for both individuals and large groups throughout the day. During lunch hours from 11am to 5pm, patrons can enjoy a variety of popular Korean dishes at affordable prices, all served with side dishes and refillable rice.
Honestly, we all love the local vibe here. It's so local that we're the only foreigners. Beer is only @ 350yen. Food is decent, we had 3 oden.

Wow! This izakaya is a hidden gem, offering all-you-can-eat and drink for 2 hours at just 3,980¥! We visited on a Friday night, and it was quite crowded. We made a reservation by phone two weeks in advance. The sushi and sashimi were amazing, just like all the other dishes we ordered. Even the appetizer the waiter served was delicious! Ordering through the tablet was super convenient for us. They allow ordering during the first 1.5 hours, which is also the cutoff for the last order. All the food arrived quickly, which was great. One thing to note: the restaurant allows smoking inside, so it might not be ideal for non-smokers.
Pang T — Google review
Went here with friends afterwork for tabehoudai and nomihoudai. Their sashimi were really delicious, especially their hotate, sooo sweet and crunchy! They immediately serve a plat of sushi, karaage with fries and a skewer of momoniku. We ordered everything through tablet. Some of the orders came out pretty slow, especially for fried foods. But all in all, it was a good experience, persinally I just don't like that the place is not non-smoking.

Popular hidden Sushi Izakaya. Good place for group party. The JPY180 per glass of beer 🍺 on Monday to Thursday & Saturday, is a really creative marketing idea. Wide variety of foods to choose from. Ordering via touchpad is very efficient and convenient. English menu is also available. Very fast services. Foods quality was just alright.

All was good. Food was okay. Only the smoker make things a little difficult but it’s a culture thing so it’s okay!
Justin G — Google review
My first traditional izakaya that my colleagues brought me to and it was amazing! Food's great and I love it that this place is kind of hidden in the dark alley so definitely adds a bit of quirkiness to it. Seatings are pretty comfortable and every table has a ledge where you can put your coats and bags up there. As most has pointed up, prices are super reasonable and I love almost every single dish. Definitely try the wasabi roll (you have been warned)!

Popular atmosphere for salary men . Noisy. Good and fast and cheap. 2 big floors. Not charming as we wait as a tourist but fun to be so many people in a big restaurant very hidden behind small streets , a fun surprise.

Delivery Restaurant
Sekai no Yamachan is a popular chain of restaurants originating from Nagoya, known for offering B-grade gourmet food in a casual setting at affordable prices. The restaurant has gained popularity in Tokyo and has many fans. One of its signature dishes is the Maboroshi no Tebasaki, deep-fried chicken wings. Customers praise the delicious and crispy wings, which are well-seasoned with a nice peppery flavor.
Tabaseki-Style Fried Chicken in a Lively Ikebukuro Izakaya For an awesome izakaya experience in Ikebukuro, this place’s tabaseki-style fried chicken is a must-try! The wings were perfectly crispy, with a tangy, spicy kick that had me hooked from the first bite. Paired with a cold drink, it’s the ultimate comfort food. The lively, laid-back izakaya vibe, along with friendly staff, made it a great spot for hanging out with friends. Perfect for a fun, casual night out!

The best chicken wings. There's instructions on the chopsticks on how to eat the wings and the just fall right off the wing. It's nice and peppery and the batter is so crispy. Recommend their standard spiciness as it's so well seasoned and taste less saucy than the less spiciness option. The cabbage is also very delicious.

I had a wonderful time at Sekai no Yamachan. I was a little nervous at first but the staff was great and helped me with any questions I had. The phantom chicken wings (maboroshi no tebasaki) were tasty and paired well with the drink. You can change the amount of spice based on your preference. I also had a side of gyoza that was also good. I liked the vibe of this place and it seemed popular with the locals. I don’t think too many tourists know about his place yet LOL.

I have been living 4 years in Japan, been traveling around a lot I like izakaya style food, but this is my first time having such a bad food: they basically put salt and pepper on normal chicken wings, and the rest of the food is just spicy or salty (I suppose to make you order more drinks) There many others good places in Ikebukuro, just skip this place

The fried chicken wings tastes awesome as it is flavourful and also very crispy. The staff are also very nice in serving us and the atmosphere was great with clean and tidy space. Would definitely recommend and come again.

We ordered the All you can eat at 3200 yen. Food was far too slow coming out. After ordering, It took 10 minutes for each dish to be brought to our table. One of the meat dishes had 4 pieces of thinly sliced meat. It took seconds before all 3 of us cooked it and ate it. Don’t go here if you are starving. Because each dish took 10 minutes to come out… our 80 min time limit went by very fast. Very dissatisfied Very disappointed! This was unfortunate because we love everything else about Japan, this restaurant was a let down.

Awesome salt and peppery chicken wings! 1 serving is 5 wings for 430 yen. Great place to chill and drink after a days sightseeing!!

Very nice and yummy place. You can make a reservation with free order from 5-8. They have a special offer for chicken wings, spicy but very delicious, typical from Nagoya. They also recommend a pot with spicy food, that it's strongly recommended

Ramen restaurant
Rairaiken is a casual ramen spot known for its tan-men noodles and gyoza dumplings. Despite not being a fan of tanmen style ramen, many visitors were pleasantly surprised by the incredible flavors of the dish. The broth has a subtle umami taste, complemented by generous portions of cabbage and other vegetables. The handmade noodles are praised for their perfect texture. Additionally, the house-made chili oil adds complexity to both the ramen and gyoza.
Wow, I wouldn’t normally come to this ramen shop as I don’t normally go for tanmen style ramen. But, I’m really glad my friends took me here! The tanmen is incredible. The broth has such a nice subtle umami flavor. It comes with a generous portion of cabbage and other vegetables. The noodles are nice and thick. They look handmade and the texture is perfect 👌🏽 They have a house made ラー油, or chili oil. It was very delicious. It really added so much complexity to the ramen, and the gyoza as well. It’s peppery, earthy and spicy. Please give it a try. I used some of the chili oil and black vinegar on the small vegetable side dish they serve before your meal. Last but not least… the GYOZA IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Honestly it might be some of the best gyoza I’ve ever had, and I’m comparing that to gyoza I’ve had in the Utsunomiya and the Kansai region. The Gyoza is cooked perfectly, soft but slightly crunchy and has incredible flavor. It was especially good with the house made chili oil 🤤

I have to say, I have never been disappointed with a meal here. The gyoza is tasty and the noodles are delicious, but the vegetables are where Rairaiken really shines. In addition to the service veggies you get upon sitting down, the tanmen has a generous portion of steamy cabbage in a delectable, salt based broth. Absolutely necessary on a rainy day, or any day really. I’ve been three times and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

(Translated by Google) I also like to eat gyoza, so I decided to visit this place since it seems to be highly rated in Koto Ward. The system is to open the glass sliding door by hand, purchase a ticket from the ticket machine inside the store, and then order. 900 yen for gyoza and regular rice seems cheap in the 2025 fiscal year. The store only has counter seats, and since it was around 12 o'clock, 90% of the seats were filled, and considering that there were women there, I think it was popular. You can see from the condiments on the table that it is not greasy like other local Chinese restaurants and is well cleaned. The gyoza and rice were served in about 5 minutes, but it came with soup, which was a noodle-less tanmen soup, which surprised me. I felt like I got a good deal. The gyoza itself was not at all hollow or squishy, and the corners were firm and sharp, which was great. The skin was thick enough that when you take a bite, it tasted sweet because there was more meat than vegetables, and you could eat it as is. I usually start with pepper, then vinegar, then chili oil. I think it's a good idea to narrow down the menu. If I was nearby, I would definitely come back.

(Translated by Google) I went there at 12:39 on a weekend. There was no line outside, but there was one pair of people and one person waiting alone at the ticket machine inside. It took me two minutes to get my turn. I ordered fried gyoza (650 yen) and a small bowl of tanmen (750 yen). The gyoza arrived in two minutes. The tanmen arrived three minutes later. The gyoza were large, the skin was crispy, and incredibly delicious. They also had chili oil with chili peppers on the table, and I like to eat gyoza with this chili oil and soy sauce. The tanmen itself was a little on the light side, but adding pepper and eating it with the chili oil-flavored gyoza was great. The set with the gyoza was even more delicious than ordering the tanmen on its own. The gyoza were large, so I was right to order a small bowl of tanmen. I left at 12:59. There was no line outside. Thank you for the meal. Shin-chang is a popular Korean restaurant known for its spicy charcoal-grilled chicken and barbecued pork bulgogi. Located in Shin-Okubo's Koreatown, the restaurant specializes in serving spicy Korean-style fried chicken, available as half or whole bird portions. Customers have praised the delicious food and vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant, recommending the fried chicken and boneless options from the menu. The seating area is divided by walls, providing a relaxed environment for dining and socializing with friends.
The fried chicken was super yummy and crispy! Level 3 was pretty hot for me, but still really tasty. Level 5 was really spicy! The oden soup was light and comforting, make it a perfect match with the spicy fried chicken. I just wish they had smaller portions of the chicken so I could try more flavors at once! I appreciated that they always keep the toilet clean!

If you haven’t tried Korean Jajang noodles yet, I highly recommend that restaurant — it’s an excellent place to start. Shijan Dakgalbi is a Korean restaurant in Shin Okubo, Tokyo, known for its delicious Cheese Dakgalbi. This popular dish features grilled chicken and vegetables in a sweet and spicy sauce, topped with a generous amount of cheese. The hotplates at Shijan Dakgalbi are filled to the brim with ingredients, creating a picture-perfect presentation. In addition to the signature Cheese Dakgalbi, the restaurant offers other Korean dishes and has a high-energy atmosphere.
Seating was fast, service was efficient and friendly. You use the iPad to order your food and they have photos of everything you will be able to order. Food was really good. The food came out so fast and we forgot to take individual photos of the dishes before we dug in to eat. I would eat there again.

The restaurant is located on the Main Street of Shin Okubo. The inside is well ventilated and the tables are well placed so that everyone has ample space. Service was simple and good. The food: we ordered yangnyeom chicken, another flavor of friend chicken that I don't know the name of, scallion chijimi, kimchi and seafood sundubu. Spent 5,000 yen. Read on for food review. First thing dropped on the table was a shredded cabbage salad and pickled daikon to accompany the fried chicken. They were both good as that's hard to mess up 😂 Chicken: 6/10. Definitely better than when Japanese people try to recreate Korean fried chicken, but the chicken lacked in crunch from the first bite. I don't like it when the chicken gets too soggy from the yangnyeom sauce as it sits at the table, which is what happened here. Chijimi: 6/10 way too greasy and not very flavorful. We couldn't even finish it and I never leave food to waste. Seafood sundubu: 8/10 the saving grace of this meal. Nothing to write home about, but good flavor. Kimchi: 7-8/10 decent enough. Wish it was a little spicier, but I understand a lot of Korean places make their food for the Japanese palate because that's their main clientele. Overall, would give this place a 7/10. Wouldn't recommend it or come back for good fried chicken or chijimi. Maybe I'd come back for something different like their cheese and chicken hot plate, which is actually what they're known for (cheese dakgalbi)
Chelsea Q — Google review
Visited this place early to grab Cheese Dakgalbi . So far, this is the only Korean shop that didn’t offer me a free side-dish . Probably because my order was served as soon as I clicked the order button. I was also looking for that Korean style Water Bottle / Pitcher that’s always being serve at most of the Korean restaurants I went to . Probably it is a marketing strat to order some drinks. The staff was attentive every time I asked for something which is good. The food tasted a little sweet and a bit spicy. Not sure if you could ask it to be spicier . If you couldn’t finish everything, just ask for it be taken out and they will provide you a disposal plate for it which is nice.

Nice Korean restaurant. I tried their famous チーズダッカルビ (cheese dakgalbi) and it was delicious. It’s stir-fried spicy chicken, seasoned with spices, separated in two parts by a barrier of melt cheese of two kinds. A little spicy and delicious. They heat the pan in front of you, so you can have it hot. I also tried their チーズキムパプ (cheese kimbap), which is rice with kimchi and cheese wrapped in seaweed. Total was ¥3,460 and it’s more than enough for two people. Be aware when looking for the restaurant. You have to look for a sign that says “Happy Chicken”.
Luis M — Google review
This restaurant is located about 5-7min walk from the station. The area offers a great selection of small, local restaurants and a variety of franchises as well. Okubo is know for its abundance of korean bbq restaurants so expect a tonne of options! It definitely caters to locals more than tourists in my experience which is something I prefer but it can be a bit tough for those who don’t speak Japanese. I’m not sure if the offer an English menu or not. The restaurant also offer “nomihodai” with a set bbq order which is a great experience at a reasonable price. Food options are varied and they seem to add some sort of new dish every few weeks or so. I recommend sticking to their “bread and butter” options which is the bbq. They do other types of dishes well but it pales in comparison to their specialty. Considering the price and convenience of this restaurant, I highly recommend it. It’s not your extremely high end yakitori restaurant and it’s not trying to be either. -Good Food -Good Sake -Fast Service -Reasonable Prices 5/5

It's hard to choose a Korean place in Shin Okubo, however the menu here struck me as quite varied and not so expensive. (Translated by Google) Thursday, April 18, 2024 Welcome party for those transferred in April. I finally got to eat some chicken wings! I tried to go without a reservation several times, but it was full and I couldn't get in. This time I made a reservation early. All-you-can-drink course for 4,500 yen. Except for the first salad, everything is brown (lol) Well, the chicken wings are delicious, so it's OK. Other than that, that's about it. Thursday, June 29, 2023 It's been 1 year. Three people drinking together. I remembered and visited when I was looking for a bar in Gotanda. I remember that the chicken wings were delicious. The chicken wings were still delicious! I ordered 10 pieces 3 times, so each person was eating 10 pieces. This time, if I was drinking without a bottle, the price would have been quite high... Friday, June 10, 2022 First drink in a while. The inside of the store is quite large, and there are a few places where large parties can be accommodated. As always, it's difficult to go here for drinks with a large group, so don't let your guard down and go with 3 people. The food is average. But the chicken wings are delicious! ! ! The people who chose this restaurant also said that they chose this restaurant because they wanted to eat these chicken wings. The fried chicken wings, called Tometeba, were so delicious that I ate them engrossed in the freshly fried piping hot food, forgetting the tingling sensation in my fingers. Horse sashimi and motsu nabe are also popular, but as I've been there many times, I've settled on toasting with horse sashimi and repeating the tome chicken wings over and over again. Even so, I think it's a taste that you won't get tired of and will want to eat again. There are some tips on how to eat these chicken wings on skewers, but I couldn't find any instructions in the store that had any tips on how to eat them. If you are interested, please ask the staff and you will be able to enjoy the delicious food even more.

(Translated by Google) Sometimes I feel like eating. I went there for the first time in a while. The price of chicken wings is 190 yen per piece, which is the same as in Kyushu. For now, I ordered 10 bottles of normal flavor. The others are Caesar salad, fish cakes, mentaiko tamagoyaki, grilled yam in soy sauce, and mentaiko rice balls. The chicken wings are still delicious with a good amount of salt. Perhaps because it's from the Kanto region, satsuma-age isn't really a satsuma-age, but more like a candy. . . The tamagoyaki was hmmm... Mentaiko tamagoyaki is always good at izakaya restaurants in Fukuoka, but it wasn't delicious, probably because of the ingredients in it. The rest tastes just normal. I used to eat it often in Kyushu. I prefer regular chicken wings to sweet wings. (Translated by Google) It's better than any chicken wings I've had anywhere. Also, it will be served freshly fried. Be careful not to get burned! The meat juice comes out as well! However, drinking beer while huffing and puffing is the perfect after-work drink. There are private rooms and a children's menu, so it seems like it's easy to bring small children with you, so it might not be a quiet place to eat. Since it's an izakaya, it's usually a busy place, so I guess it doesn't bother me too much. I don't like children, so I didn't feel very comfortable with it, so I decided to set it to a lower setting for the atmosphere. Anyway, the freshly fried chicken wings are delicious.

The restaurant offers a diverse menu and comfortable dining environment, making it suitable for families and large groups. Many reasons why our family of eight really enjoyed this place. 1) we were looking for a Yakitori restaurant and although this didn’t exactly focus on grilled chicken skewers they had a good selection, 2) we were already rejected by two other restaurants due to our group size so having them take us in was very much welcomed 3) they had a huge menu translated to English on an iPad-like device so ordering had no issues 4) the environment was very nice with sub divided little rooms or flexible size tables. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxed restaurant after a long day of sightseeing!

Lunch menu is wortywhile to get away from midday sun / heatwave and you get privacy! Not sure about the evening / a la carte menu but if you are in the area and it's too hot, consider dropping by. There are obviously other eateries around but this one seems to be quite interesting for us.

(Translated by Google) Came in for lunch on a Saturday. The store wasn't crowded and I was guided right away. There is a private room for two people, and the atmosphere is nice. Chicken parent and child heavy gozen, accompanied by chicken teriyaki gozen. Both tastes are a bit salty. The miso soup was so salty that I couldn't finish it. The chicken teriyaki gozen included internal organs and was delicious. The chicken meat was delicious, but the sauce had a strong taste. Oyakoju felt that the egg had too much flavor. The jubako is quite top-bottomed, and the quantity is reasonable. When it was delivered, the tray was large, but the bowl it was placed on was small, so it felt empty. Maybe the tray could be a little smaller? The male staff member who helped me was not very friendly. Omino, known as the Convenient Yakitori, is a highly recommended restaurant in Japan for those looking to explore the world of Yakitori without any hassle. The chefs at Omino come from the Torishiki lineage and offer similar dishes and course structures. This restaurant serves an omakase-style course featuring various parts of datedori chicken from Fukushima and seasonal vegetables.
FYI, the location of this restaurant is not accurate on Google map so please be aware of this, it is located on further back in the corner of the said Google location. Food: Omakase style yakitori, menu differs slightly accordingly to season. The selection of meats are all really well cooked. (***Some dishes could come off as undercooked for some people, but the chef’s grilling is master class. You need to be aware that people eat raw chicken as chicken sashimi here in Japan) The balance is amazing as they endlessly refill daikon-oroshi as palate cleanser while serving veggies here and there to balance out the fatty meats. My personal favorites there were Tsukune, Gullet (esophagus), Neck, and Cartilage. Most of the meats are seasoned/marinated with their house sauce (Tare). It is amazing how one can grill all parts of chicken to another level. Customer Service: This is one of the main reasons for making this post. The customer service was amazing as each serving came out with reasonable timing, while the headwaiter did an amazing job in every aspect. Insane multitasking while checking up on every customers for their needs. The reservation is quite the hassle, so make sure to call in advance since there will be like 2-3 months wait before you can dine here.

Had some of the best items I’ve ever had here. The grilled onion, chicken heart, chicken throat. Starting with the onion, it was just some simple salt with a char and it brought out the sweetness and savoriness of the onion. I found myself eating one layer at a time just to truly take it all in. The chicken heart was so tender and not chewy at all. They said the reason why is they don’t cut the heart at all and that does the trick. Lastly the throat was somehow fatty and chewy. Such a unique mixture and absolutely amazing. They say they are opening one up in LA soon and I look forward to trying that

There were only non-Japanese speakers in my dining cohort, usually not a good sign for ppl looking for good 'local' cuisine 2. Gizzard is a bit overcooked, chicken oyster is absurdly large and undercooked, heart is tasteless, wing is too sweet, desert is a joke. Not able to find single dish worthy of Michelin-level recognition at this price. 3. Service is bad. I arrived 20 minutes early only to find the front door locked, I was confronted outside with 'you have a reservation?' upon knock on the door. Once inside, there was no assistance with coats or bags, which I expect from a restaurant at this price point. 4. Drink is outrageously priced, as others have noted. I wish I had chosen a lively, local yakitori spot filled with off-work locals instead of this one. Please don't come just because it's easy to book with a Michelin title, there’s a reason for that.
Jin D — Google review
I have never thought yakitori could be cooked to this level of balanced and flavorful. Each piece is grilled and seasoned individually to perfection. Incredible small dishes scattered between, many have unique and distinct flavors that I haven't thought about. In general it brings uniqueness and innovative dining experience and flavor profile to me. Wish I would have chance to revisit.

Atmosphere is great, booking is easy. Everything are well polished compared to standard yakitori and taste great. Only problem, for me, was they do not have the most interesting part for offer, stew of chicken and egg.

Had our wedding anniversary celebration at Omino and it was one of the most memorable to date! Apart from traditional yakitori, we enjoyed other types of skewers, 卵かけご飯 or TKG (tamago kake gohan), and a specially-prepared anniversary cake. Watching the chefs work their magic on the grill and eating what they crafted soon after definitely adds to the experience. Everyone at the restaurant was friendly! 10/10 will take friends and family here ✨️

Excellent meal - top ingredients and service. The staff made slight modifications for my dietary requirements. I loved the corn appretizer, it is unique to this restaurant. All yakitori was cooked very well, and the vegetable skewers were highlight of the meal as well. The environment was a bit too hot, minimal ventilation, so it was a bit uncomfortable, given the chef grills the yakitori in front of you. They placed several fans to air the room. Hope they can improve the ambient and ventilation to make it a comfortable place to dine.
