They also serve their famous spicy fried chicken, which is extremely spicy. 🌶️ 🥵 even my friend who enjoys spicy food couldn’t handle it (only level 3).They have it until level 5.🔥The kimchi bibimbap is also delicious. I’d definitely like to visit again.

My go-to place in the area! A korean friend recommended this place and I tend to gravitate to this store even if I try to plan to visit another place. Affordable, relaxed and staff are friendly. I love the clam soup, grilled chicken and too many to mention from this place. They also give coupons if you come back within the date specified. We’ve came to this place looking for Korean-style chicken bbq. Other dishes are also great as well as chicken bbq!

The restaurant is located on the Main Street of Shin Okubo. The inside is well ventilated and the tables are well placed so that everyone has ample space. Service was simple and good. The food: we ordered yangnyeom chicken, another flavor of friend chicken that I don't know the name of, scallion chijimi, kimchi and seafood sundubu. Spent 5,000 yen. Read on for food review. First thing dropped on the table was a shredded cabbage salad and pickled daikon to accompany the fried chicken. They were both good as that's hard to mess up 😂 Chicken: 6/10. Definitely better than when Japanese people try to recreate Korean fried chicken, but the chicken lacked in crunch from the first bite. I don't like it when the chicken gets too soggy from the yangnyeom sauce as it sits at the table, which is what happened here. Chijimi: 6/10 way too greasy and not very flavorful. We couldn't even finish it and I never leave food to waste. Seafood sundubu: 8/10 the saving grace of this meal. Nothing to write home about, but good flavor. Kimchi: 7-8/10 decent enough. Wish it was a little spicier, but I understand a lot of Korean places make their food for the Japanese palate because that's their main clientele. Overall, would give this place a 7/10. Wouldn't recommend it or come back for good fried chicken or chijimi. Maybe I'd come back for something different like their cheese and chicken hot plate, which is actually what they're known for (cheese dakgalbi)

Visited this place early to grab Cheese Dakgalbi . So far, this is the only Korean shop that didn’t offer me a free side-dish . Probably because my order was served as soon as I clicked the order button. I was also looking for that Korean style Water Bottle / Pitcher that’s always being serve at most of the Korean restaurants I went to . Probably it is a marketing strat to order some drinks. The staff was attentive every time I asked for something which is good. The food tasted a little sweet and a bit spicy. Not sure if you could ask it to be spicier . If you couldn’t finish everything, just ask for it be taken out and they will provide you a disposal plate for it which is nice.

Nice Korean restaurant. I tried their famous チーズダッカルビ (cheese dakgalbi) and it was delicious. It’s stir-fried spicy chicken, seasoned with spices, separated in two parts by a barrier of melt cheese of two kinds. A little spicy and delicious. They heat the pan in front of you, so you can have it hot. I also tried their チーズキムパプ (cheese kimbap), which is rice with kimchi and cheese wrapped in seaweed. Total was ¥3,460 and it’s more than enough for two people. Be aware when looking for the restaurant. You have to look for a sign that says “Happy Chicken”.

This restaurant is located about 5-7min walk from the station. The area offers a great selection of small, local restaurants and a variety of franchises as well. Okubo is know for its abundance of korean bbq restaurants so expect a tonne of options! It definitely caters to locals more than tourists in my experience which is something I prefer but it can be a bit tough for those who don’t speak Japanese. I’m not sure if the offer an English menu or not. The restaurant also offer “nomihodai” with a set bbq order which is a great experience at a reasonable price. Food options are varied and they seem to add some sort of new dish every few weeks or so. I recommend sticking to their “bread and butter” options which is the bbq. They do other types of dishes well but it pales in comparison to their specialty. Considering the price and convenience of this restaurant, I highly recommend it. It’s not your extremely high end yakitori restaurant and it’s not trying to be either. -Good Food -Good Sake -Fast Service -Reasonable Prices 5/5

It's hard to choose a Korean place in Shin Okubo, however the menu here struck me as quite varied and not so expensive. The wait time after the lunchtime rush was minutes and although the place is quite packed it's a pleasant place to enjoy your meal. The staff were very attentive with the heat of the cooker and the beer is super cheap (174円) so it's a good place to visit for sure!

One of the best korean food experience I have had in Japan. Food came out piping, tasted like authentic Korean food. The steamed egg was just delicious. I've been to 2 different locations of this same shop and it hits every time. Especially satisfying when it's cold out! Incomparable to other motsu nabe I've had. Reasonable price with tasty chicken wings

Many reasons why our family of eight really enjoyed this place. 1) we were looking for a Yakitori restaurant and although this didn’t exactly focus on grilled chicken skewers they had a good selection, 2) we were already rejected by two other restaurants due to our group size so having them take us in was very much welcomed 3) they had a huge menu translated to English on an iPad-like device so ordering had no issues 4) the environment was very nice with sub divided little rooms or flexible size tables. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxed restaurant after a long day of sightseeing!

Lunch menu is wortywhile to get away from midday sun / heatwave and you get privacy! Not sure about the evening / a la carte menu but if you are in the area and it's too hot, consider dropping by. There are obviously other eateries around but this one seems to be quite interesting for us.

I wish I had chosen a lively, local yakitori spot filled with off-work locals instead of this one. Please don't come just because it's easy to book with a Michelin title, there’s a reason for that.

I have never thought yakitori could be cooked to this level of balanced and flavorful. Each piece is grilled and seasoned individually to perfection. Incredible small dishes scattered between, many have unique and distinct flavors that I haven't thought about. Atmosphere is great, booking is easy. Everything are well polished compared to standard yakitori and taste great. Only problem, for me, was they do not have the most interesting part for offer, stew of chicken and egg.

Had our wedding anniversary celebration at Omino and it was one of the most memorable to date! Apart from traditional yakitori, we enjoyed other types of skewers, 卵かけご飯 or TKG (tamago kake gohan), and a specially-prepared anniversary cake. Watching the chefs work their magic on the grill and eating what they crafted soon after definitely adds to the experience. Everyone at the restaurant was friendly! 10/10 will take friends and family here ✨️

Excellent meal - top ingredients and service. The staff made slight modifications for my dietary requirements. I loved the corn appretizer, it is unique to this restaurant. All yakitori was cooked very well, and the vegetable skewers were highlight of the meal as well. The environment was a bit too hot, minimal ventilation, so it was a bit uncomfortable, given the chef grills the yakitori in front of you. They placed several fans to air the room. Hope they can improve the ambient and ventilation to make it a comfortable place to dine.
