I was shocked by how good the adobada, guacamole, and fresh salas were (I would say you can akip the pollo asado and maybe even the care asada though they are good too). Ive heard so many negative things about the Mexican food in NYC. Im so glad I had an excellent experience 😋. The restaurant was abaolutely spotless and the staff was all excellent too. I hope to come back sometime.

This is one of our favorite stops in NYC! The food is exceptional and we have not had one bad experience. The best taco is the pork one but you can’t go wrong with any of their selections.

Pretty good, I'd probably give this 3.5 stars if i could. Pros: adobada pork is the winner here, it's very good and worth returning just for that alone. All the food is clearly fresh and made with intent. Good side bar avail with extra toppings Cons: cost is too high for what you get. i like a bit of crumbled mexican cheese on my tacos which is not standard here. No beer. No bathrooms. Guac is too blended into a goo for my taste. And the steak and cactus tacos are totally forgettable.... mostly bland.

BEST TACOS I’VE EVER HAD. if you’re visiting New York City, this place it’s a must try!! everything is so good, starting with the staff and the tacos are freshly made with handmade tortillas. The workers definitely deserve a rise because they’re doing an AMAZING job!!!

LOS TACOS No.1 serves authentic and flavorful tacos, and I tried the pollo asado (chicken), adobada (pork), and carne asada (beef) — all were excellent. A big plus for me is that they offer wheat flour tortillas, which is great if you’re not a fan of corn tortillas. The staff are friendly, though service is minimal, as the spot is more about quick, casual dining. The atmosphere is simple and lively, perfect for a quick bite in the area.

The service is fast, the tacos were great, and the tortillas were freshly made … will definitely be thinking about these again. Highly recommend!

Was in the area for work and figured why not! Well I was pleasantly surprised that although the line was really long….the wait wasn’t. I had the chicken tacos which were very tasty. The food was fresh, quickly prepared and did not disappoint. Stop in for a quick bite to eat. Just a side note.. there are no tables just high tables to stand and eat at.

Food was absolutely great, but caution, don’t over order. I ate way too much and it didn’t go well but me, but honestly, not regretting it. The steak was fantastic and the tacos too!

Excellent tacos. 🌮 This is a usual spot for us and it never disappoints here. The large tacos have guacamole in it and it also comes with an entire grilled green onion. Now, I hate onions. But I have no clue why I’m able to eat it here with the tacos… it’s that good. Opt for the regular tacos. The small size is fine but for just a dollar more you get more bang for the buck, literally. Very low key establishment. It isn’t festive. I don’t believe they serve alcohol either. But the tacos are amazing. And amazingly affordable! As always, better to eat fresh and dine in. The fajitas are good and the sizzling plates is nice…. but order the Tacos… when the restaurant’s name begins with Tacos, you better order the Tacos 🌮!!! 👍🏼👍🏼

I ordered steak quesodilla and got 3 deep fried tacos burnt to a crisp peices. But the clearly have quesodilla on the menu pictures . Dont ever order this.. they will send you this.. WHAT THE HELLYANTI!!

I recently dined here and ordered shrimp and fish tacos. While the fish taco was absolutely delicious, the shrimp taco fell slightly short of my expectations. One minor disappointment was being charged for a cup of hot water without prior notification. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would recommend this restaurant to others, particularly for their fish tacos.

A solid little taco shop with a good variety of tacos and other speciality items like huaraches. The meat is freshly made and hot. The tacos themselves are decent, a little messy, and I wish they had a little more seasoning and flavor. The salsa is good, the shop is a fun little late night spot.

I didn’t get a chance to experience inside dining, and ordered via Uber eats. Delivery took longer than expected. I ordered 3 single steak tacos separately. Price was decent. Upon arrival, the food was a bit messy and cold. Meat was very flavorful, but a tab bit over cooked and my lemons was dry, I didn’t get much drops out of them. 5/10. I’ve had better. My coworkers ordered pork tacos, she said they SUCKED! I don’t think I’ll order again

I found them on Uber eats, and now I walk to their restaurant and order my favorite Nacho Bowl it's the best ever to me. I would recommend trying it because you won't be disappointed.

I had a grilled chicken burrito from Taco Mix and overall it was pretty good. The chicken was flavorful and the portion size was satisfying. However, the sour cream was only on one side of the burrito, which made for an uneven bite, kind of disappointing. I also tried the verde tomatillo sauce, which was advertised as spicy, but it turned out to be just sour with no noticeable heat. Pricing is fair if you order directly, but I noticed it's about $0.50 more expensive when ordering through Uber Eats.

$22 for this very underwhelming burrito bowl. Steak was hard to chew. My food was ready in less than one minute when ordering in the store. Now I remember why I never come here anymore. A lot better options in the area

So i just order through Uber about a hour ago. I ordered 2 different tacos. One chorizo, one steak. I recieve 4 tortillas with the meat mixed as if I bought 1. I was highly upset at first because I had to scoop it up and make the 2 tacos that I bought, but after tasting the meat definitely looked past it. Those were honestly some of the best tacos I ever had. I also bought a quesadilla. I dont know what the hell that is but it's not no quesadilla

When I first started ordering from here about a year and a half ago the food was really good and became my go to for mexican. However the price went up my usual order that would cost $13 was $16 and the food also started to become a hit or miss. Sometimes it was good other times it was burnt or cold. Now the price is $17.50 for a burrito. Thats absolutely ridiculous and has become unaffordable for me to buy my usual from here. Who has nearly $18 to spend on a burrito?? If you want steak it’s an extra $1.50 thats almost $20 for a burrito…. Please be more considerate of your customers. I wish to keep being able to afford to eat here because when it’s good it’s really good but i cant justify spending that much anymore.

Last Saturday went to see what all the hype was about. I ordered 3 Birria tacos and the consomme. Tacos were tasty but the consomme took it to the next level- flavor explosion! Price wise the consomme was $5.00 for a small serving. Tacos were $3.50 each. Next time I'll try the Birria tostadas!!!🌮

Oh man I ordered delivery here and let me tell you I was SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED the food is 10 out of 10 they have the best MULITA, best CONSUME, best TACO, best BIRRIA, best Tostada, best I had in a long long time I would say the food here the birrias the mulitas, the tacos is better MOST restaurants out there it is just that good! they have some of the best Tostadas best birria out here and the consume? SO FLAVORFUL with many pieces of meat inside MOUTH WATERING I will definitely come back the food is SO GOOD 10 out of 10 very happy even raised my mood 😊 it was delicious :)

I ordered this from Uber Eats with the hopes of finding a great place to have birria tacos, and it did not let me down. If I wanted to, I could drink the birria like bone broth because it's so delicious. It has a lovely crimson hinge and is expertly seasoned. To my astonishment, there was even meat in there. The quality is excellent and the price is quite fair.

The tacos were delicious. Will be going back. No place to sit. But you can sit in your car, make it work. They have soda as well.

The tortilla was slightly greasy but had a unique touch, and while the meat was a bit under-seasoned, it really let the natural flavor of the meat shine through. It was incredibly tender, too. The salsa was delicious, and overall, the atmosphere was fun and enjoyable. Definitely a place with character!

Not used to having tacos of this style or quality in NYC! Was delighted to visit this taqueria with a local friend who reigns from California, so we know how to sniff out the authentic stuff. Love a simple menu, and when you see a trompo, and a fully stocked salsa bar, you know you’re in the right place. Will always make it a point to stop here when I’m in the area.

I hadn’t had tacos this good in such a long time! I originally planned to come right when they opened, but arrived a bit late — just in time for the lunch rush. The line was pretty long, and I saw some people ordering to-go and eating outside, so I was worried I might have to do the same. Luckily, a spot opened up inside, and I got to sit down. We started by ordering six tacos — one of each kind — and shared them between the two of us. Every single one was amazing! They were so good that we ended up ordering two more. I also loved the self-serve topping bar — it was fun to add what I liked. Overall, everything was delicious, and the experience was totally worth the wait. Highly recommend!

Went here with my girlfriends today… It was pretty good. Al pastor was fire. My friend said the first bite of hers was really gross, but the rest of it was good so I’m not sure what that’s about but they pretty much just give you the meat on your taco and then you dress it yourself with onion, cilantro, lime, and sauce.

The place is not over hyped. We got the campechano, tripa, nopales and the pastor. All the fillings were delicious and you can top it with sauces, lime, onion and coriander at the counter. The nopales which is cactus was one of my favourites and the pastor. Although I wish there was more pineapple in it. You'll likely have to stand and eat but the service was great and super fast

Little gem in Greenpoint! Amazing tacos like in Mexico. Very small place with not so many seating but worth it! My favorite taco was the Longaniza one with spicy beef.

I've been wanting to come here forever, and I finally made it--just 40 minutes before closing! Unfortunately, they were out of suadero and tripa, which I was really looking forward to, but that just gives me a reason to come back earlier next time. The spot is small with limited seating, yet it was still buzzing with energy late into the night. The upbeat music added to the lively atmosphere, making it a great place to grab a bite. I ordered the pastor, which was hands down my favorite--packed with flavor and topped with a perfectly thin slice of pineapple for that extra touch of sweetness. The longaniza (spiced ground pork sausage) was decent, but not really my thing. The campechano, a mix of suadero and longaniza, was juicier thanks to the beef, making it a solid choice. The wait wasn't too bad, and I loved the small DIY toppings station where you can load up on onions, cilantro, and sauces. The spicy sauce was incredible--just the right amount of heat! I'll definitely be back to try the other tacos. Can't wait!

I got the steak and chicken burrito. Decent burrito. Flavors were there. Steak was a bit tough. The burrito was little smaller than expected but it did taste fresh. Chips were crispy and the salsa was pretty much spot on.

In one order had both of the following: hair in my nachos and blue mold on my choco flan. When I called to complain about the order ($150) they offered to replace the item or refund the item and not comp the whole order. We ordered 5 Choco flans and the blue mold likely contaminated the whole cake but they only refunded for one. Not eating here again. See the picture.

Where’s the zero star option? This place is a dump. I ordered through Uber eats and received food with hair on it and also a molded soda top🤮. My nieces and nephews were starving and so was I. In this economy money nor food should be wasted but it went straight into the garbage. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!

great family owned place. you won’t get the deadly(but still tasty) oily food. You ll get great home made Mexican staples that can be nutritious as a healthy home made meal and as tasty as any high calorie street food .

The service and atmosphere is great. The complementary chips and salsa was amazing (crunchy and fresh). I ordered 3 tacos- chicken, fish and shrimp. As well as a coconut mojito (not sure why it’s brown but it was pretty tasty and of a decent strength). I originally thought when my food arrived that they looked very authentic. The fish taco was so well seasoned that it didn’t look like fish nor taste haha I thought it was the chicken taco until I saw the texture after a few bites. The chicken and shrimp tacos were okay, a little more on the bland side of things. I’m not a fan of flour tortillas but overall the tacos were okay, the portion size per taco is great. We had an incredible time here. The guacamole here is incredible. Many different flavors of margaritas and they’re all delicious. Authentic Mexican cuisine at its best very inexpensive very fresh and absolutely delicious. We went after taking our kids to a nearby indoor playground, and it was just us moms and we had salad steak chicken tacos quesadillas guacamole nachos everything! Everybody there was so professional so gracious so nice and it was really an incredible experience I highly recommend!!

An excellent authentic dining experience with conscientious staff and an awesome atmosphere, or vibe as it’s now called. I had the Cochinita pibil or “Yucatán special” which is a delightful marinated pork, you won’t be disappointed, be brave when ordering.

We were not expecting to have this good a food in such a small random spot in Jackson heights. Coming straight from Texas, this food was as good as it gets for Mexican food in NY.

Fancy place. Did not quite understood their food concept but was very well served. The duck texture was very soft and it was something very different from my usual dinings. Giving a five star cause of this new experience in a Mexican food. Asian fusion? The Cone Cream Meringue was also different!

A fantastic modern take on Mexican cuisine — easily one of the best restaurants I’ve tried in New York. The lobster is an absolute must, and so is the guacamole! Their cocktails are also top-notch, beautifully balanced and creative. Every dish was full of flavor and presentation was on point. Highly recommended for a vibrant dining experience!!

Cosme, to me, felt like a concept where the creators knew how to make one thing incredibly well, and in order to create an ecosystem, added a bunch of other things that did not live to the expectations of that main dish. Below all the plates we got, in the order that we got them: The Ensalada de la Casa and the Herb Guacamole were completely forgettable. Nothing really stood out, both dishes were a bit disappointing. The corn tostadas were good, but couldn't save the dish. I would not recommend you to order any of these. The Sishito Esquite was an interesting concept; it tasted good, but it had nothing to do with a real equiste. While I do enjoy different takes on traditional dishes, I like when they maintain at least a core element of what makes something a particular dish; I would have never guessed this was esquite if I had tried it without the name, instead, this to me felt much more like a nice take on Konchijeu (Korean cheese corn). The mole was just okay, the taste was good but it felt like it could have been an accompanying side to a main, instead of it's own individual dish. The Duck Carnitas were absolutely phenomenal. This was by far the highlight of the entire dinner. The duck would instantly melt just by touching it and the salsas and homemade fresh tortillas that accompanied the dish were fantastic, we really couldn't get enough of it. The Corn Husk Meringue was also incredibly delicious. The blend of both textures (solid/cream) and flavors (sweet meringue/savory corn) worked very well together, and was overall a great dessert to share between 3 people. Restaurant atmosphere is great, the place is dimmed but lights are strategically placed so you have enough visibility over your table, sort of like a spotlight. Plating and cutlery suited the restaurant perfectly. Service was good, albeit a bit on the slow side - I recommend to ask the staff for refills (tortillas, lime, etc) before you actually finish the one you have to account for that. Staff was super kind and approachable, I just hoped they would explain a bit more about the dishes and maybe some tips on how to consume them, my guests told me they wouldn't have figured out how to eat some of these dishes if I wasn't there to explain it to them. Overall, as it is, I don't think this place is worth it's current price point; however, I would definitely return and just get the Duck Carnitas and the Corn Meringue without any of the other stuff for a 5/5 dinner experience.

The space has dark but tasteful vibes, though a little on the warm side — the AC could have been lower. Service was excellent — Stephania took great care of us, very attentive and thoughtful, refreshing our table with clean plates multiple times. The steak was flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly. The duck tacos were a standout — rich, balanced, and definitely worth ordering. Overall, a top-notch dining experience.

Bar seats are always a great choice here! The service is warm and attentive, the dishes are creative and full of flavor, and while the portions are on the smaller side, that’s part of the whole experience. Drinks are amazing too !

Food is very good but maybe not great. Service was pretty impeccable and nice atmosphere. Desserts were awesome. The rest of the meal was all good albeit slightly forgettable. Nothing we didn’t like but nothing really wowed either.

Outstanding experience for our group of 4. Luckily, we were wise enough to order two portions of the Pastor Prawns to share because they were so delicious, everyone wanted seconds. Most dishes come with tortillas, which makes it easy to share and taste multiple dishes. Mezcal, wine and non-alcoholic cocktail selections were wonderful. We ordered the Strip Steak and Duck Carnitas to share which was a wonderful anchor to our meal. Service was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend and definitely come back.

Went here last Sunday. My group got a spread of 12 tacos: 4 chicken, 4 pork, 2 brisket, 2 fish. The brisket was the best. Came shredded and juicy. The fish was also pretty good. The chicken and pork tacos were pretty bland and very dry. All the tacos were served at the same time and all were tepid apart from the fish (which was nice and hot), so I think it might have been hanging around for a while waiting for the fish to be ready. On the bright side the service was lovely and attentive. We also got the cocktail specials which were delicious. Overall it's a nice place, but at $9 per taco, I had expected to be amazed, and they were just middling. An al-dente carrot slice in an already dry taco just does not work! p.s. we were sat outside and got mobbed by mosquitoes towards the end of the meal, so had to leave in a hurry. The staff did kindly provide bug spray though.

Great meal at Casa Enrique last night. We had an 8:30 reservation but were able to get sat early, as we arrived faster than anticipated. Lovely service, and we had enough pozole to bring home with us. Perfect as the weather is turning cold. Need to return to dig into more of their long cocktail list!

Great experience here on a Friday night! We were seated at the bar and our bartender/water was super attentive and made excellent drink/entree recommendations. One of the best spicy margaritas I’ve had in a while! He was very knowledgeable about the tequila/mezcal options which I appreciate. The food was good, elevated takes on traditional Mexican flair. Pop in if you can get a seat! It’s very busy!

The Casa Enrique brunch menu was a mixed bag. The flautas de pollo ($22 plus tax) and the pastel tres leches ($13) were hits. The guacamole ($18), though creamy, was very bland for something supposed to be medium spicy. This was concerning because the classics should be executed exceptionally. The virgin Bloody Mary was also a miss, the added sugar imparting an odd syrupy taste.

Went on a Sunday evening without a reservation and was warmly welcomed. The service was attentive and kind throughout. The guacamole was excellent—creamy and full of flavor—and the fresh chips were a perfect match. I also tried the spicy margarita, which was satisfying, though just a bit too spicy for my taste. The mole chicken was something new for me—rich and interesting, though I personally missed a touch of fresh herbs to round it out. The tortillas were fantastic, though—fresh and full of flavor. And whatever those crunchy little things they bring out before the meal are—totally addictive. Yum!

Came here last night for my bday dinner. I Had been wanting to try this place out for a long time and it was perfect! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed and then to top it off the food and drinks were amazing! Prob best margaritas ive ever had. So happy to have spent my bday here and cant wait to come back again. The food was delicious - I had the verde enchiladas and the tres leches (sublime). Service was quick and staff ever so friendly. As a solo traveler, it’s a bit more expensive but the food was so worth it. Great cocktails too!

The elevated Mexican food was very good. Surprisingly the pasta (cappelletti) was my favorite, but the rich salsas and the pastrami in the tacos were also good. The pastrami tacos are large and filling. The carrot salad, while tasty, wasn't really a salad, just carrots on coconut cream. The service was very attentive. While there is plenty of space between tables, the place is very loud and didn't feel intimate.

We had lunch and everything was really outstanding. The guacamole was exceptional and it was fun trying all of the accompanying salsas. We really loved the carrot appetizer. Tacos are also a standout, with corn tortillas that are fresh and flavorful. I would love to go back. One nice touch we noticed is that cold dishes were served on chilled plates which made the food extra refreshing.

I don’t even know where to start. The ambience delight and the music is phenomenal. The service is top notch, one of the best in the city. Before you even think about it, the service staff already knows that you need something. The servers and waiters are extremely attentive and polite. The food every entry of the menu was better than the next we received. When we thought we couldn’t be wild with more, we received a complementary dessert which was out of this world. We will for sure be coming back. Thank you to the team and the chef for such an amazing Experience.

The staff were excellent and the food was great. I loved that you get 7 different salsas to try!! My favorite was the cashew and the tomatillo. My friend and I shared the rib eye fajitas with bone marrow. Was so good and perfect to share.

I went there with my partner on our anniversary. The food was top notch, especially the dessert that looks like an avocado. The service was amazing as well. One thing we really appreciated was that we had extra bags with us which they stored safely in their closet so that we could sit more comfortably. I highly recommend this place.

Stopped in for a drink and appetizer so can’t comment on much of the menu but there were definitely some different choices I would come back to try. The queso was very good, a different rendition with chorizo on top but the cheese was creamy and the chorizo cooked well and tasty. It was served with corn tortillas that were thin, chewy and warm, for me a perfect tortilla. The cucumber margarita was tasty but a little light on alcohol. I didn’t try, but saw the guacamole being served and it looked great.

Came here for my birthday and had the best meal and service. Mariia was so sweet and knew every single thing about the menu making the experience great. Next time need to try the cheeseburger tacos😌

If you’re looking for flavorful and comforting Tex-Mex, then this is your place! The cornbread was a solid 11/10 because it was so moist and delicious with every bite. The flour tortillas are made in house and they paired deliciously with the fixings inside of the taco. I do have to say that the frozen margarita was incredible. They were strong but subtly sweet, and the flavor of the week (which is in rotation weekly) was guava! Nothing artificial about it at all!

It was a little toasty but we got two seats at the bar no problem (530 pm). Bartender was super nice and it was the tacos were even better than I remembered. I got the special carnitas which were a little oily but delicious.

This was the perfect spot for some good Tex-Mex and great drinks! I got chicken tacos and then a wonderful wildflower mezcal - everything was delicious!!! And the queso was INCREDIBLE. I’ll be thinking about it for a while. Also highly recommend their margarita with a Tajin rim. And the vibe is so cute. Will definitely be coming back!

This is legitimately the closest/best Texan food you’ll get outside of Texas in the city. I’m living in San Antonio and can attest to the authenticity of the Texas taste. A little bit of home away from home.

Great taco selection for brunch with the tortillas being the start of the show. I thought the cocktails were even better and made fresh with a bunch of variety. Recommend making a reservation just to keep things easy but was pretty casual during a Saturday afternoon. One regret was not trying the doughnuts 🍩

Absolutely obsessed with this place. The food is so worth the price, and the staff is so attentive and kind the whole time you’re there. If you sit down you get free chips+salsa, so you can get absolutely stuffed for 10$. I highly recommend the el diablito tacos. Beware the orange salsa, it’s SO good but it’s very spicy🔥 if you can handle it I drizzle it on the tacos. There’s only three tables+ two window seats, but both times I’ve been here there wasn’t more than one other person sitting down, it seemed like most people got takeout. If you’re looking for authentic local Mexican food for a low price, GO HERE!

My rating is more of complaints about portion size and menu not being exactly up front. I got a fish taco which was really good but the fish in the taco was basically a chicken nugget. I’m used to the fish being longer than the taco, but can be okay with it being smaller. This place though slaps you in the face with the portion size. I also ordered Nachos, you can’t mess those up right? It’s a Mexican place so the description said cheese, I expected actual cheese. Not disgusting nacho cheese sauce, if I wanted that I would go to taco bell

This was one of the few reasonably priced food options we could find on New Year’s Day! We’re happy that we found it. The tacos were filling and pretty good taste wise.

The food was absolutely delicious, full of great flavor. I ordered the 'very spicy' quesadillas, but unfortunately they weren’t spicy at all. The interior is original and nicely designed, although I missed some Latin music to match the atmosphere—instead, they were playing American tunes. Overall, a good place to eat and enjoy a meal.

Very strange experience, we walked in and the staff just stared at us without saying anything. There was probably only five people dining at the time we walked in so being busy wasn't a problem for them. I asked do we have a seat and again nothing. We started to walk the long way out to leave and a waiter finally said have a seat here, here or there. We painfully sat down and opted to order only two tacos as the experience was so strange already. We ordered two tacos Crispy Chicken Tinga and Al Pastor, both were regrettably dry. We would never return or suggest this place.

The guacamole with chips was Amazing! The other 2 sauces that came with it are DELISH! It is a MUST appetizer. We had Tacos 🌮- Both Al Pastor & chicken we really good! (I added the green sauce from the appetizer on my tacos) Our waiter was great. My 2nd time here. Overall loved it and would highly recommend and definitely come again. 👏🏽

We got a some tacos, a quesadilla, and guac. The guac and salsa was very good though the chips were a bit stale. The taco was pretty good! The quesadilla wasnt folded which was odd but still good

This restaurant may have had the funnest vibe and aesthetic out of all the restaurants we went to. You feel like you are in a street alley in Mexico, as vetted by my Mexican friend. However, the good things somewhat stop there. The food was definitely delicious but for the price and portion I was surprised. My burrito with ribeye from the famous Pat LaFrieda meat purveyors was maybe 5% meat and 90% potato. For the price I’d definitely hope for more. Regardless the vibes of the place were really cool, I just wish the price for the food was more justified.

Party of 3 we each had the corn and 2 tacos each plus a side order of Guac with chips. The corn was delicious the guac was super fresh and tasty....the tacos were awesome I had shrimp and a fried fish. I dont eat meat but my friend do and they had the burrito taco. They were in awe of the flavors. So much so that they each ordered another. These are 2 women that watch what they eat to maintain a nice figure. Long story short....EAT HERE AND HAVE THE BIRRIA TACOS. Dont be fooled by the appearance of the restaurant. Its very good

This restaurant is Great! Two things- spicy salsa will catch up with you even if you're sure you're fine at first (I'm a weak, white boy from the Midwest, so even Mayo seems too spicy at times to me). 2. The bathroom is AMAZING! No really. Go. The service is Lovely! The dishes are great (it's NYC and good, so expect it will cost more). Recently they had some ventilation issue, so their menu has rapidly pared itself down. (Hence 4-stars on food, not 5- I really wanted to try their other offerings!) Regardless, look at these dishes! Beautiful place with outdoor seating. Great cocktail bar and delicious modern Mexican food. Not cheap at all but amazing flavors from a top kitchen. Service was good. Didn't hover, very knowledgeable and helpful.

Excellent food and staff. The drink menu is great with many NA options. They are also happy to modify drinks to make a mocktail version for you. The short rib was a meal highlight and don’t sleep on the desserts. The ambiance and staff are amazing. This is definitely a must visit restaurant! Shout out to Chef Justin, Chris, and Edith- you guys rock!

Came with friends and was blown away by the ambiance. The lighting and ascetic was beautifully curated. Every dish was well balanced with incredible flavors and textures. The presentation was beautiful and the service was perfect. Dont skip on the desserts, well worth the indulgence. Oh and check out the bathroom, Disco ball!

Being my first time in New York City I was taken to a quaint little Mexican restaurant in Brooklyn. Now coming from Los Angeles where we have exceptional Mexican food all over the city. Try some outside of California is a bit of a treat. Oxomoco has some very good dishes on an elevated level. They use high quality ingredients for all there dishes lending to elevated taste. The fish tacos were great tender flaky fish with a nice not too spicy slaw on top. Chips and salsa that had multiple levels of heat you get five salsas to try. The crab tostada was nice a flavorful and the wagyu beef cheek were tender with a nice mole sauce. They also have a nice mix of tequila and mezcal drinks for you to choose from. The menu is small but has something for everyone. All the dishes we had were very delicious and the atmosphere was great. Indoor and patio dining is available. Oh make sure you make reservations so you don’t have to wait if you want inside. If you’re in Brooklyn swing by and give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Service and atmosphere are top notch. The food was amazing. I enjoyed the steak tacos that were cooked to perfection and loaded with flavor. The salsa flight was very nice, and my favorite bite of the year was the caviar tuna tartare. Wow so so so good. Also their take on the mezcal espresso martini was the best I’ve ever had.

My wife and I have been here a bunch of times and I can’t believe I never left a review. This is our go to place for Mexican food. Every time we have been here the service is top notch and the food is beyond delicious. You definitely have to try this place for brunch or dinner.

No frills taco place. They only take Cash, Zelle and Venmo. I only had the chicken and steak tacos. Both were good, but I think I preferred the steak over the chicken ones. I attached photos of the carnitas taco, tostada, and quesadillas, which my colleagues had and enjoyed.

Yup this place is legit. Yummy food, great staff. You write your order and name on an index card, pay for your food, don't forget the drink! Then you go sit at the tables nextdoor and they will bring you your food. The tacos are the bomb! Definitely need to stop here if the in the area. I like all the tacos I tasted but preferred the chorizo one the most..

Authentic Mexican restaurant in an industrial and warehouse space. Order at the counter and wait for your order in the garage. Food was pretty good, less expensive than others, good portion. For the taste, we preferred Tacombi (see other review) but price quality/ratio is unbeatable. Service was minimal. Recommended if you are in area.

Good, tasty food made fast and served by friendly staff. Both indoor no-frills dining room and outdoor sidewalk seating are available. The tostadas are crunchy and delicious, and the tacos are made with soft tortillas with yummy fillings. They carry Mexican Coke and Sangria soda, among other beverages.

First off: they make the tortillas on site, and you can take home a pack of 30 for $2!!! Spacious restaurant with delicious Mexican tacos and other foods. Today, I visited Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos, with my family, excited to try their authentic Mexican tacos. While the food was indeed delicious, our experience was marred by a lengthy wait time and some oversights in service. After placing our order, we waited exactly 45 minutes for our food, which seemed unusual for a fast-food establishment. When I inquired about the delay, the staff mentioned they were busy, but we noticed that later arrivals were served before us. As the only Mexican family in the restaurant at the time, I couldn't help but feel a bit concerned about potential discrimination. Additionally, we had to retrieve our own drinks and clean our table before sitting down since they never did. While the staff was never rude, the service issues and wait time overshadowed our experience. However, the tacos were truly enjoyable, and I appreciate the restaurant's commitment to authentic flavors. Unfortunately, due to the inconsistencies in service, I don't plan to return. I hope the management takes our feedback constructively to improve the overall dining experience for all customers.

Tacos al pastor had a strange organ-y flavor and were severely underseasoned. Horchata was sickeningly sweet. Vibes pretty fun and staff was nice though.

Pricey! But hit the spot. Carne asada was juicy and deliciously garlicky, with a generous scoop of guac on top. The real star was the gringas al pastor — I have had the taco Al pastor before and like it okay but the cheese takes it over the top. Super unctuous, perfect bite. Next time I’d just get the gringa, very filling

They give you a lot of meat here — and it’s seriously delicious! Everything was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. If you're a meat lover, this place is a must-visit. Great value for the price too!

I have been coming to this place since I was 10 years old with my family the food here is amazing even tho there is a waiting time for the food to be served to the table but best believe it’s done fresh and super hot ! The waitress are good at their job they might not know so much English but kindly use a translation app on you’re device if you do not know how to speak Spanish to make it easy for the both you and the waitress during the vist . Regarding the comments on here about “ bad service “ ETC.. I will always be a loyal customer I can say this place is where I have so many childhood memories that can’t be erased 🩵 so if you are ever around the neighborhood don’t hesitate walk right in to the best taco spot in Brooklyn

Bruh, never again. $24 bucks for 4 of the most mid dry azz shrimp tacos I ever had. WITH SHELLS IN ugh. Had to throw out away. Been here 4 years a block away. It's fine so far down hill. They ain't the spot. Keep it pushing.

Great place for a quick bite or drinks. Super cool surf theme/ambiance. Surf boards lockers. Most of the food are tacos, they’re flavorful small single corn tortilla fully loaded but a bit pricey ($6 each), just a few fillings to choose from. Staff is super welcoming and diligent. Dog friendly patio with lots of shade. Parking can be tricky as it’s a short street surrounded by houses and the railway. All in all it’s a cool place for a quick bite.

I think 4.4 stars is fair. The place, the people, the atmosphere, and the fact that it is pet-friendly are great. Those are not the best tacos you have ever eaten, but they were good and kept me full since the portions were big.

Their fish taco was delicious and drinks were refreshing. The decor of the whole place was so colorful and cute. It’s little far to visit from the city but definitely wanna come back again.

Tucked away in a shared space is a taco joint that is making really meaty and flavorful carnitas. The portion sizes are ginormous; I got two orders of tacos which ended up being four tacos. I barely finished and I was starving to begin with. I recommend only getting one order, or getting three orders for two people. I had the fried fish and the carnitas. The carnitas are so good, really tender and meaty. The flavor is really nice; I would probably not put any salsa. The toppings are plentiful as well. Get napkins; the grease from the carnitas will coat your hands like lotion. The fried fish was ok; I would have liked a bit bolder flavor in the fish itself. Then the fish would have stood out just like the carnitas did. Excellent, excellent place. Love the environment of the outdoor food stall area, really reminds me of Texas.

Came here on a whim after a day at the beach. We were kind of surprised how busy it was , all the tables occupied and only free room was standing. It took about 22 minutes for the food to be ready, after ordering by the QR code, on iPhone. Kinda bummed they don’t have any chicken tacos, so I had the vegetarian option instead. The two tacos had black beans, radish, guacamole, and sweet plantains. Good food. Service was good. But the vibe is 20 something and Brooklyn hipsters. Not my scene. And too crowded.

Good spot to grab food after a day at the beach. I went on a Wednesday evening around 5:30 and it was no line and not crowded. The fish tacos were really good. I have service a few stars because they didn’t have a hostess or any restaurant staff around. I wanted iced water because it was a hot day, but they only had a water fountain. Overall, the tacos were good & the location was a short walk from the beach

We weren’t sure what to expect when we wandered into this spot. It’s a laid back neighborhood place with plenty of outdoor seating and a straight forward drink menu. Nothing fancy. The tacos, however, were pretty amazing. Really can’t recall when I’ve had tacos that were packed with so much flavor. Can’t recommend enough.

Amazing happy hour including $12 for 3 tacos and a tecate. $9 margaritas! The vibe is great inside with a divey-but-clean sort of vibe and fluorescent writing all over the black tile walls. The tacos are a delight and the frozen drinks are somehow even better. Will be returning soon to try the selection of other amazing sounding cocktails and the mezcal selection.

I had the best damn time. Lev and the folks that run Chilo's have produced a place that's old school. Rumors of closure? I hope it's saved. They don't make bars - or tacos - like they used to.

i can confidently say i’ve eaten through most of the reyes menu. there have been weeks that reyes has kept me alive with their fantastic cooking. the bacon egg and cheese tacos are insanely good. the tortillas are so fresh, eggs cooked to perfection, crispy and salty bacon… what more could you want in the morning? tamales on the weekends have never disappointed. carnitas tacos? yes please. reyes is the superior deli. love you guys!

I’ve had a lot of tamales in my day…like a lot. And I have to say that this place has some of the best tamales I’ve ever had in my life. They only do them on Saturdays though, so definitely don’t miss out!

I've been coming here for over 10 years. This deli is serving up amazing Mexican food and more! No matter what time I order, the food is always fresh and made to order. They have the best carnita tacos. I ordered carnita tacos, chicken quesadilla, BLT with cheese and mayo on a roll, a Philly cheesteak sandwich with French fries with cheese. The carnita tacos are packed with flavor, and they are garnished with white onions and cilantro. The chicken quesadilla is delicious, and the chicken is tender and packed with flavor. BLT sandwich was good, and the Philly steak sandwich was delicious. Their green and red sauce is delicious as well. This place serves up some of the best Mexican food in the parksope area.

Burrito was fantastic and THICK. For $16 got a massive burrito packed with meat, chips, sauce, and a Redbull. Staff and regulars were so nice. Will definitely be back!

This place was dangerous to live around the corner from. By far the best bodega in NYC. Best tacos and quesadillas. Now every time I’m back in the area i have to go. Place should be a bigger deal and better known but seems to have flown under the new-to-NYC crowd. A real local gem. Staff is always chill and polite even when it gets super crowded around lunch. Best advise, call ahead around that time, although the line does get busy.

Ordered chicken and chorizo burritos. They both came with tortillas chips and was thick so it was more on the tough side to chew. The burritos were good but I thought the rice was a bit too mushy. Pretty good food portion for the price.

Best Taco's in Brooklyn at the lowest price. Their sauce is insane!!! My personal favorite are their spicy chicken tacos. In a huge city with awful Mexican food this place is a gem....and sooo affordable!

Had the best experience here! Had heard such great things and was nervous it wouldn’t live up to the hype but it really did. Came at about 3pm on a Sunday, didn’t have to wait and was able to get a bench seat. There isn’t a lot of seating but the turnover is really quick because the food is so fast. Everything was delicious, I asked the staff to choose their favourites and there were no misses! Loved that you could add your own salsa & pickles - 10/10 experience.

Try these guys for the first time on a Sunday evening and there was no line. We got there right before they closed so we had fewer selections of what we could choose from but all three tacos were still amazing in mind blowing. Super Porky and fatty all the way throughout slightly salty. And the spices that they used to cook, the pork is divine. We did get a tongue taco a cheek taco and I forget the third. The complementary sauces at the salsa bar are really good as well. The price to value ratio is amazing. Each taco is about five bucks and it’s well worth the price. All the tortillas are made in house and you can see them literally cooking up the whole pig right behind you. These guys are definitely gonna be in the top 10 taco spots in NYC. If not top 5 ! AMAZING EXPERIENCE

UPDATE: Came back and tried some more pork cuts. All delicious. You really can't go wrong with any of your choices. Would recommend just blindly picking. ORIGINAL: Small but mighty spot. The tacos here are excellent. Tried the belly one and it was just amazing. Definitely coming back if I'm in the area.

My best friend and I have been eyeing this place for a minute. We appreciate it when nothing goes to waste. This restaurant does not disappoint. Fresh slow roasted meat with simple decor like you are in Mexico enjoying an ice cold beer on a scolding hot day. Seating is minimal and gets crowded fast. The spicy is really spicy. Not speaking as just a native New Yorker , but an Indian who puts chilies on everything. We got a mixture of lean to fatty tacos. Great experience. Not too costly either.

An excellent, amazing little taco shop. It’s a great continuation of the tacqueria in Greenpoint, with several amazing tacos, amazing salsas. I loved the chamorro and Costilla, but everything was excellent. I wasn’t as big of a fan of the Gordita, which was a bit stodgy, lots of cartilage, sticky. It’s nice with some salsa, and I imagine on a day when it’s a bit cooler it’s very hearty and comforting. I’d get it again, but the tacos are the star. Absolutely essential to get a beer and use some spicy salsa. And for the love of God do not be that person that strains all the avocado out of the mild salsa to eat - a customer in front of me did this and it should be a lifetime ban from all Mexican restaurants.

Phenomenal. The tacos were amazing, tasted great and a bunch of selection to choose from. They had their own ‘sesadilla’ signature plate (wouldn’t get again but interesting concept). Everything else would for sure reorder. Need to go back and try it all. Can get crowded in evenings. Some seating in the back of restaurant or standing space out front.

Still have really good, fresh tortilla for sale. $2/lb. They also have rotisserie chicken but no other food. I couldn't figure out if it's run by the same people as the old location but the machine was there... The woman working there said the other location had closed but that this location only has tortillas, roast chicken and beans for sale. She also didn't know if it would be more of a sit down place in the future. I was so excited thinking the old location was in a more convenient location to public transportation but it's not the same.

Customer service is not really good, the girl looks upset with her own life, chicken and tortillas are very tasty. Beware! Cash only (that really sucks) I don't know if the owner is aware that we are in 2019 already, it really needs to have more payments options for your customers.

There is absolutely nothing bad about this place, except it is no longer a restaurant. It is strictly a tortilla factory. They also sell roasted chicken. When it was a restaurant it was really nice, too bad for me, and you.

STAY AWAY BEWARE, this place is so filthy and disgusted. Cannot even pass Dept. of Health Inspection. Violations were many lots of mouse dropping in the food pantry area and basement. Great concerns of mouse droppings in your food. They cook with old grease that will clog your Heart. They have so much grease on the walls that could start a fire. Dept. of Health records speak for itself. This place is UNSANITARY to serve food to the public.

While out on a morning casual stroll and doing a little shopping, we decided to pop into this café for a light breakfast. It’s a cool little local spot with a perfect corner location. It’s small inside, but pretty cozy. They also offer outdoor seating if it gets too crowded. I had the Huevos con Chorizo with a glass of Agua de Jamaica, while my wife had the Breakfast Tacos and a glass of lemonade. Our food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Everything was made from scratch and cooked to order. The beverages really hit the spot, and based on the flavors, I’d say there are no powdered drinks served here. If you’re looking for frills and thrills, this isn’t the place for you. But if you want fast, casual service with good, fresh food, I definitely recommend checking them out.

Been coming here since 2008, but since the pandemic I haven’t been here in a while. There use to be two stores next to each other but only the corner one remains. The famous corn is good as it always has been. The skirt sandwich was good, but the Cuban was not the same.

Love the vibe. Didn’t love the famous corn though. For me the highlight was definitely the mango caipirinha. Burrito was also good.

Corn and tacos were cooked well but flavor was just okay. Service was wonderful! They provided toothpicks with the corn which was a great touch.

I’ve been walking past this place for years! I finally had free time on the 4th to come in hahaha! The hospitality was warm and the service was quick and efficient! The staff looks like they flow well together and barely break a sweat. I ordered the shrimp taco and pork taco with beans and rice. As someone who travels a lot, this was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Everything was seasoned to perfection and very tender and juicy. The ingredients were obviously fresh and blended so well. I would give it a ten out of ten. Only recommendation is maybe having a mocktail or two on the menu. Like a cucumber lime drink or a n/a corona/michelada. Otherwise, perfection!

The best Mexican food I've ever had. Everything we tried was out of this world. It's a place that wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for all the noise the guests make. The servers were great; she made sure we were looked after despite it being very busy.

Añejo NYC is one of my absolute favorite spots in the city. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, the service is outstanding, and the food is incredible. The tacos are full of flavor, the guacamole is fresh and delicious, and the margaritas are some of the best I have ever had. Everything came out quickly, and the staff made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Whether you are here for brunch, dinner, or just drinks with friends, you are guaranteed to have a great time. I cannot wait to come back!

Great Mexican fusion restaurant. The ribeye steak fajitas was very well cooked and seasoned. Food was delivered pretty fast. Their pork belly will recommend. Didn't have any reservations thru open table however I saw the restaurant empty and allow us to seat right away on the street table

Love this spot for weekend brunch! The food is consistently delicious and the staff is incredible friendly and attentive. It’s definitely a great place to enjoy a meal. On the weekends they offer a brunch special with all-you-can drink for $29 over 90 minutes, plus the cost of food. Highly recommended trying the crispy cauliflower tacos, French toast and tacos al pastor. They are all must haves!

Guacamole was super fresh! Both salsas were delicious. Drinks were great - chicken Al pastor tacos were excellent and so was the carnitas quesadilla! Rice and beans were excellent.

Food is great but the kitchen is under staffed. You will wait a lifetime for your food to come out. So don’t come hungry, enjoy like 5 drinks, and hopefully you’ll forget you ordered food cause it takes that long.

The service at Añejo was really good, very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the cocktails weren’t the best; I think they could use a little improvement. The food had good flavor overall, but the excessive use of fresh jalapeños overpowered the other ingredients. However, the Tres Leches dessert was absolutely amazing, the best I’ve had so far.

6/28/25 finally had time to get here for happy hour(every day 3-6pm). Me and D sat outside, good people watching. Good service. The happy hour drinks are good and the food is good too. Love the $5 burger! Guacamole is good and a big portion along with all the fixings for it. Street corn was good too. We had several margaritas. We will be back.

Great atmosphere, lovely staff, drinks were great and plenty of options for dinner. Tried the tacos and quesadillas, tasty but slightly dry.

Let me tell you about Playa Betty’s- being someone from San Diego.. it’s the one place you can count on authentic Cali vibes. Anthi specifically was INCREDIBLE. She just brought the best energy and was so nice! I love this place!! (The spicy marg is also UNMATCHED)

Sharlene was excellent. I got a restaurant often and I hardly ever see the amount of service and attention to detail like I saw at your restaurant. She deserves a raise. I don’t think Reyes would do her justice. Just make her a manager because I think everybody at your restaurant should move and act like she does. She is well trained, and I appreciate her greatly

Really solid tacos. I was a bit worried that the Taco Dinner would be too much food, but two tacos left me wanting a bit more. My friend also said that this is one of the few places that she can get real Austin-style queso.

Busy spot for casual Mexican seafood dishes. Loved the clams the most, super refreshing. The fish tacos were also great. The only thing I found just average were the oysters, which weren't bad but not very memorable. There's a decent amount of seating options inside, either at communal tables, the counter or standing up.

Stopped by Los Mariscos in Chelsea Market and really enjoyed it. We tried three different tacos — fish, shrimp, and enchilado — and all were tasty, but the enchilado was definitely the standout. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced, and the portion sizes felt just right. The place has a casual, lively vibe that makes it fun to grab a quick meal while exploring the market. Overall, a solid spot for some quality seafood tacos in NYC.

Los Mariscos is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by a lively and authentic Mexican atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re right on the coast of Mexico. The seafood is incredibly fresh — especially the oysters, which were some of the best I’ve ever had. The seafood tacos were bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. Everything tasted fresh, vibrant, and made with care. If you love great Mexican food and a fun, welcoming vibe, Los Mariscos is a must-visit!

As a Mexican for me this a perfect place. It has everything great music, excellent food and perfect customer service. I’m not kidding. Last time I went there the manager personally took away my plates after I finished my food. He personally took care of every question I asked and was very professional. Cashier always on point fast and efficient. Best thing about this place is the tacos of course. I might be in love with them. Shrimp or fish they are 10/10 I celebrated my 24th birthday and ever since then this has been a special place to me in the city. In my opinion this is a top ten restaurant for me. I always visit them whenever I can. I recommend it a hundred percent. I’ll leave you some photos of my birthday.

My husband and I are OBSESSED with Los Mariscos. Like, I genuinely own the t-shirt. The food is so fresh and delicious with such kind and incredible staff. Griselda is always so warm and kind at the check out counter. Secret bonus tip, ask to try the shrimp consume, it is INCREDIBLE and a free way to start off your meal. The ceviche is my personal favorite, all types. Generally I get at least 3 (usually two fish and one shrimp.) While at the popular partner spot, Los Tacos I swear by the tacos, but for me, ceviche is where it’s at here. Drinks are spot on with fresh lime juice and appropriate portions. If you’re ever in Chelsea, check out this gem! I hope more locations open over time, but for now, this is a favorite weekly dinner spot I will continue to enjoy.

We had a fantastic experience at this spot! The shrimp and fish tacos were absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The real standout was the shrimp ceviche. We also appreciated the variety of hot sauces available at every table, which let us customize the heat level to our liking. Great food and great flavors. We always make sure to make a stop here when we are in town.

The seafood cocktail (Campechano) had very little seafood in it. I honestly thought I might have been served the simple shrimp cocktail by mistake. It was basically a tall glass of salsa with only a few shrimp, completely lacking clams, scallops, and octopus. They serve a peanut sauce and a few others that are extraordinary and one of a kind. 4 stars just for that. The service was great, and the atmosphere is vibrant. I would absolutely go back to try some other items on the menu.

Overpriced and underwhelming, but this is one persons opinion. We ordered drinks and guacamole. The spicy margarita was spicy, but for $20+ is crazy and the chips for the guacamole lacked salt, so they were not a good compliment to the OK guacamole. It’s not a bad place to bring a date, but there was nothing special about this Mexican food spot. Judge for yourself.

I really wanted to like this place but it just didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The flavors were a bit bland, and some dishes felt like they were missing that special touch. I had high hopes based on the reviews, but it seems like the hype didn't translate into the actual experience. The ambiance is nice, and the staff was attentive, but when it comes to the food, I was left wanting more. The prices are so expensive almost $30 for 2 pieces of tacos. We ordered guacamole as well the chips are stale and oily. I hope the management look into it and considering their market prices.

One unacceptable and unethical mistake in the professional restaurant industry can turn a five-star experience into a one-star review, even for a Michelin-guided restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious, the service from Omar was excellent, and the overall dining atmosphere was enjoyable. We ordered guacamole, mackerel aguachile, beef & onion tacos (the onions were barely noticeable), and fried fish steak (which was dry). The appetizers were flavorful and leaned toward the sour side. However, the tacos and fish fell short of our expectations. The spicy margarita and skin-contact wine selection were particularly refreshing. Our server, Omar, was patient, friendly, and professional, answering all my questions with care. However, while sitting at the bar, I witnessed another server, Many, using the same straw to taste two different cocktails before serving them to customers. He pressed one side of the straw with his finger, lifted it, drank from the other end, and then used the same straw to taste another drink. I immediately informed my server when Many brought the drinks to the customers. Omar later returned to tell me that Many claimed he had flipped the straw to the other side. To me, whether he flipped it or not, using the same straw on two different drinks is unethical in the restaurant industry. Moreover, he had been drinking himself, which raised concerns about his judgment. Both my friend and I also did not recall seeing him flip the straw. For the next half hour, he walked past me multiple times but avoided eye contact, further reinforcing my belief that he knew he had acted improperly. After Omar spoke to the manager, she came to talk to us. However, instead of being honest and addressing the issue directly with the customers who drank the cocktails, they simply offered us a dessert. This felt more like an attempt to dissuade us from writing a review rather than a genuine effort to resolve the situation.

My friend and I visited on Saturday, July 5th. We tried the Brussel sprout and suadero tacos, al pastor gringa, birria, and the guacamole. For drinks we had the mangonada, margaritas, and an horchata. The stand out items for me were the Brussels sprout tacos, Al pastor gringa, and the guacamole. All of the other items were good but not memorable. The service was acceptable. There was a hiccup where the server charged us for another tables check. There isn’t a way to contact the restaurant by phone. Their automated message states you can contact them by text but that goes unanswered. I was able to resolve the matter by email but did have to spend some time on the phone with my credit card company due to me paying with Apple Pay and the restaurant not being able to find my transaction even after giving the exact amount I was charged.

We came for an early dinner, and the place was already busy, but in a good way. We ordered three dishes to share, which were enough for us. The waitress was very nice and recommended a delicious vegetarian dish with mushrooms. I was actually very impressed. The food was spicy, which I love. I will definitely come back!

The ambience was warm and inviting, and the service great —attentive without being intrusive, each dish well-prepared and satisfying. While it leans on the pricier side, as being in the city I guess, the overall experience was good.

Ja ja ja Mexican was seriously next-level food. This is a vegan restaurant with such incredibly tasty food. Our server Mario was attentive, friendly and so nice.. it happened to be my birthday and they had out together a hand written birthday card which was just awesome. 10/10, highly recommend.. cannot wait to go back!

Didn’t think vegan food can be this good! We didn’t know that this was a 100% plant-based restaurant. But we gave it a try anyway. And it didn’t disappoint! In fact we were quite satisfied. We ordered the watermelon starter, then kale bowl, burrito bowl, and coconut dessert, all of which were really good! For the price though we expected it to be a bit more. But it’s not a dealbreaker. We enjoyed every single bite of it. The burrito bowl, goodness, they had some vegan steak in it and it was so good I couldn’t tell if it wasn’t made with meat. The texture was so real! We were sitting in the corner and it was nice as we could see the whole place. Weather was nice so some people sat outside. Give it a try. Oh, and the music was a bit loud. But we like quiet places in general. So that’s that.

I love the place. It was an in-kind app suggestion, and it was next to a show we were going to see. I really enjoyed the food drinks ,the service and the place was small, but really cute and adorable. They have multiple across the city and I look forward to going to them too.

The best vegan food I’ve had in a long, long time. This place packs so much flavor and care into every dish. Rather than allowing meat substitutes to carry the dishes, they have so many wonderful, delicious elements such as their salsas, coco queso, and pickled vegetables. Fast service and a lovely vibe inside. I took my non-vegan boyfriend here and he adored it as well!

We ordered nachos, which were fantastic, and on the side, we had Esquites, which were good! We also ordered a couple of drinks that were enjoyable as well. I appreciated that the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Had a lovely, long overdue double birthday brunch celebration with a friend at the East Broadway location today. The food was delicious as always, (breakfast burrito and pancakes), and we so appreciated the relaxing atmosphere and attentive service. The staff surprised us both with a (very unexpected) birthday treat and card. A truly kind gesture, and we appreciated it. Go, order anything on the menu, you won’t be disappointed.

Quite authentic Mexican food, even their guacamole with tortilla chips were good. The bowl with prawns was so generous, and it could be shared so that you could sample other dishes.

Stopped by last night just for a quick drink before heading home and ended up loving the place! We sat at the bar outside and it was such a good spot🤍 perfect for people-watching and soaking in the cute, lively vibes. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Me and my friend had mango and strawberry margaritas, both were super tasty, refreshing, and well-balanced. We also tried the pork and steak tacos, which were surprisingly good too. Didn’t expect much at first, but it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Will definitely be back for sure!

On many occasions I had walked by this Mexican restaurant on my way to other bars and restaurants. I had judged the book by its cover and how wrong I was to do that. On this occasion I decided to disregard the outside and check out what was inside. What I found was an attractive interior with such friendly and knowledgeable servers. I also heard my favorite music playing, salsa music from the 70's, 80's and 90's. I was smiling and moving my feet when the classic margarita that I ordered arrived. It was so delicious that I ended up ordering another. For food it was recommended that I try the brisket taco. It was a great choice since the meat was tender and juicy. I happily paired it with the sweet platanos, a really good combination. For dessert, the coconut flan was recommended and it was light and tasty. As I was about to leave merengue music started playing and I decided that whenever I'm near this place I will drop in even if it's just for a drink.

The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a snob server, " Do you have a reservation?" " No we don't, do we need to?" -" No, you can sit here." The entire restaurant had 4 people in it. I had to ask for a menu as well. We were given a bottle with water and glasses with ice. The bottle had mold around the stopper and was dirty. We had already ordered food when I noticed or we would have left. We got our food and it was okay. The portions were extremely small for the price. Once we were done, we had to finally ask for our check after we were ignored the entire time. Once we got our check she stood over us, waiting for what I would assume was what we were tipping.. very awkward, considering she was a sub-par waitress. I would suggest skipping this place on your trip. Some hole in the wall places aren't worth it.

This cool little dive just blocks from the over-hyped restaurant down the street is awesome. Between the local beers and creative menu, with little to no wait times during the week, it was the perfect hidden gem for my wife and I. We had a late lunch here after waiting to get on the waitlist for "that other place." The server didn't check on us much, but was super cool. Had to flag him down to place our order, all good (I hear it's like that in Europe, so maybe it's just a NYC thing). OH MAN, try the Birria pizza, it's phenomenal (especially with the burnt cheese on the edges, so good)! I definitely recommend Bar Bruno for a late lunch, casual drinks, or to try something new and creative.

We initiated the feast with Guacamole and Plantains, then ventured onto the Chopped Cheese Wraps, Burger Tacos, and Quinoa Veggie Burgers. For the grand finale—we ended on a sweet note with the Flan and Dessert Nachos. Guacamole is not my usual pick, but the pumpkin seeds made it a flavorful and adventurous choice. The Plantains was the perfect harmony of sweet and savory, transcending a mere appetizer to become the ultimate side dish. The Chopped Cheese Wrap deserves a standing ovation. A mouthwatering blend of pepper jack cheese and onions—makes it an absolute must-order. The Quinoa Veggie Burger, a vegetarian delight, tasted so good that I momentarily forgot it was meatless. But the crown jewel of the evening? The Burger Tacos—imagine the perfect burger and a delightful taco having a culinary love affair. And guess what? The French fries are in the tacos. Genius. I bought takeout from them in the form of a steak platter.... and let me tell you something - they're giving you steak for real. Their Grilled Pat LaFrieda Skirt Steak is incredibly delicious and generously served. If I were to take a guess, I'd assume it was at least 8 ounces. I was not able to finish the thing. I just put the rest in the fridge and I'm gonna fry some plantains and have the rest of it tonight. I'm kind of in disbelief, because I've been eating grilled steak since I was 16 and I've never enjoyed one this much. It is almost as if they made this entrée with the expectation to exceed mine. They've certainly made me happy; I am wholly satisfied. Whomever is reading this, go ahead and order that steak my friend. It's going to put you on your ass.

Bar Bruno is one of those spots you almost don’t want to tell people about because it really feels like a hidden gem. The tacos are seriously some of the best I’ve had in the city. They are super flavorful and fresh without being overdone. The vibe is laid-back and fun, with great old-school music playing in the background that makes you want to hang around a little longer. Prices are also really reasonable for the quality, which is a huge plus in NYC. Overall, it’s just an easy, go-to spot if you’re craving good tacos without the pretense.

The Birria Pizza is top tier! Like definitely the best thing I’ve had in a while. They have good options for kids: tator tots, hot dogs, etc. Great family friendly location. Almost every one who worked there is upper friendly but I’d say that you might find that your server will change throughout your time.

The food is good, but shamefully overpriced. The add-ons quickly cause a burrito to cost more than $25. There's an extra charge for everything. However, the food is good so we keep coming back. I'd recommend the burrito, ceaser salad and (almost $20) queso. The seating outside is also nice. It's a solid neighborhood staple.

Very nice restaurant and nice outdoor dining area! We have steak toco and quesadillas, guacamole and wines! Very delicious and with decent price. It’s usually packed during the weekend but weekday is no so busy, easily walked in a get a seats. They have indoor seatings as well.

Can I go against the grain here and say it’s kind of overpriced? The prices aren’t what the menu says and the vegan food is very stingy. Also, heads up, in spite of the credit card signs it’s cash only. Yes, the food is good. Yes. The lady is wonderful. But still, overpriced for you’re getting.

Delicious food, had al pastor tacos, white mole, and vegetable enchiladas. Really flavorful bites of food. As a Korean the white mole was a bit difficult for me to wrap my head around, since we make a dish similar to this but with totally different flavor. The horchata was fresh made (I don’t know how that is possible, but it was good), and limonata great as well. I came after watching Taco Chronicles on Netflix. The famed vegan squash flower tacos were not yet available as it is seasonal and they will appear roughly end of June through September. Can’t wait to come back and try those. Not the most modern dining area, very local feel which was appropriate of course, but I do wish a bit more attention was paid to interior, but like I said, great food and great service. Well worth checking out!

This place is awesome. It’s a small hidden gem in the Bronx. It’s a family owned restaurant and it’s delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. They deserve their Michelin recommendation. They make their own mole sauce which is very hard to find. I love this small local restaurant. The food is delicious and I felt like I was in Mexico while eating here.

After always eating tacos from the trucks, decided to try restaurant taco. Tacos were good but I guess our expectations were too high. Honestly the taco trucks on 5th ave might have the edge. Nachos were really good, especially the green sauce, a real good kick.

We got the pork chop platter, tacos and torta. The family cleaned their plates. Can’t wait to try the ceviche next time and other items on the menu. Friendly and kind staff - mainly spoke Spanish but will be able to accommodate basic service in English. We knew enough to communicate in Spanish.

Hidden gem in Sunset Park Brooklyn! What a great surprise. The staff was on point and the food and drinks came out right away. They do not offer complimentary chips a salsa, but the portions of food do make up for it. The prices are affordable and well worth it!

I had the rudest cashier when I went to pick up my order. The girl in all black with the pony tail and glasses who was on shift June 1st at 8:00 PM was unprofessional. I told her I got a text and I came to pick up my order. She said it wasn’t ready so I asked why I got the text (not to rush her , but to understand how much longer I’ll have to wait). She immediately waves me away and begins to ignore me. She talks to all the customers around me but acts like I don’t exist. I’m a regular and she’s always so disrespectful and rude. She didn’t bother to offer anywhere for me the wait, she didn’t talk to the kitchen once to ask why it was taking longer than expected, she simply CHOSE not to do her job. On top of that, she purposely pretends to not speak English to ignore you and pretends she can’t help you but I heard her speak perfect English to her co workers. She also is the one who answers phone calls for deliveries and she’s equally as nasty over the phone.

There are a handful of restaurants that are a must stop for me whenever I’m back in Queens and this place is heavily on my rotation. I’ve been coming to this spot with my dad since I was in middle school(now late 20’s), this place has a very special place in my heart. Everything is pretty homey, you can’t go wrong with most dishes. My dish here is four carne asada tacos but recently I’ve switched over to their Birria; their consume is so rich. I love this place, there’s many Mexican restaurants near by but this place is the best in my opinion!

Coatzingo Taquería is one of those places that truly makes a difference when you’re looking for authentic Mexican food in New York. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere immediately transports you to Mexico. The entire decoration is fully Mexican, filled with details that make you feel as if you were eating tacos at a traditional market. That authenticity sets it apart and makes the whole experience so much more special than just going to a regular taco spot. The food is outstanding. I tried several tacos, and without a doubt, the tripe taco was the best I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked, with amazing flavor and just the right texture. The al pastor tacos are also delicious, with a truly authentic taste that’s hard to find outside of Mexico. The guacamole has excellent flavor, fresh and well-prepared, although I did find the portion quite small compared to the $10 price. Still, I have to admit the taste itself was really good. The service is another highlight. The person who took care of my table was attentive, always checking in and making great recommendations to make sure I had a good experience from start to finish. That kind of hospitality makes a big difference and is definitely appreciated. If there’s one thing I would add, it would be Mexican music playing in the background. The place already has the authentic décor and amazing food, and adding traditional music would complete the atmosphere and make it feel 100% like being in Mexico. Overall, Coatzingo Taquería is definitely a place I recommend if you’re in New York and want to enjoy real tacos. The quality of the food, the unique Mexican atmosphere, and the good service make it worth the visit. If you’re looking for a spot that takes you to Mexico with every bite, this is the place to go

First time here and it immediately became one of my top Mexican spots. I had the chilaquiles verdes con cecina and my husband had the birria con queso tacos and a shrimp taco. Complementary chip and salsa are top notch. Everything was amazing, we’ll be back very often.

Best ever Mexican food ate in Queens NY. I feel like I'm in Mexico every time I visit this place, the music, the service, and especially the food.

First time here, got to try the carne asada tacos and carnitas chalupas, they were great! Juicy and tender. Our only issue was when we arrived there wasn’t any music playing for a while and out of nowhere loud music started playing which threw us off as we were sitting by a speaker. Will probably do take out moving forward because these tacos are definitely seeing me again.

I’ve been eating at this restaurant since 2007 and have tried many of the menu items throughout the years. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in NY. I’ve tried several different Mexican restaurants and food trucks, and so far, this is the most authentic and delicious in flavor that I’ve experienced in New York. It reminds me of the hole-in-the-wall restaurants I’ve eaten at in Puerto Vallarta. There are other Mexican spots in the area that taste authentic, but the quality and flavor don’t compare to this restaurant. The food here is very flavorful and excellent in quality! The way they season their dishes is just so good. My favorite is the quesadillas mixtas with rice and frijoles (so creamy and delicious here). I also really like their horchatas, jugo de tamarindo, and their piña coladas—the perfect balance of sweetness and alcohol. My favorite piña coladas on Roosevelt Ave come from this place 🙌🏽. The consistency is spot on: not too watery, not too thick. They also serve delicious nachos, salsa, guac, burritos, fajitas—you name it. Their complimentary salsa is my absolute favorite! It’s homemade, a little sweet, a little spicy, and absolutely delicious. I love this place so much that I’ve been a loyal customer for nearly 20 years.

This spot really surprised me! I thought it came across a bit divey, a bit dark. I had a really great drink of their cocktail menu, switched to a margarita that I didn't like as much, and ordered tacos. The bartender explained the top three on the menu (chicken, fish, and something else) were the crowd-friendly ones and the really fun ones were at the bottom of the list. I went safe and it was fine, but his words echoed in my mind. You only live once so I ordered the beef tongue and the beef head or whatever it's called. Sorry, but not sorry. I came here because many reviews said you could watch the Lakers games, and the place is full of Lakers and Dodgers decorations, so it looked like the perfect spot. I ordered a beer and asked if they were showing the game. They said yes and told me they would put it on. In the end, they didn’t have the channels to broadcast it. So if you’re coming here hoping to watch the Lakers, this is not the place. Nothing against the staff, but I came here specifically for the game and ended up missing it. Really disappointing.

Cozy atmosphere. Adam was our bartender, attentive, thorough and kind. We ordered two rounds of watermelon and pineapple margaritas. Both created to perfection! We had ground beef nachos, it seemed to be an original recipe- delicious! Ate them before I remembered to photograph. The lamb and fish tacos were enjoyable, but not my favorite. I will absolutely return to experience more of the menu. Excellent experience!

Best sit down Mexican restaurant I've been to in Manhattan! Love their tortas as they are full of flavor and quite large. Their chips and guacamole are full of flavor and their salsa is amazing as well. I honestly think their tacos are better than los tacos but it is pretty close. Would definitely give this place a try if you are in the area!

We came with a group of 13 and they were able to accommodate us very nicely. Overall everyone enjoyed the food. The portions were just enough. Chips and salsa were brought to the table and the salsa was great. I had the Cheese Enchilada Verde, Rice and Beans and Torta Milenesa. They all had good flavor. They do charge extra if you use a credit card.

Taste-wise, the food was delicious, and the drinks were very good. The service was amazing, and I really like the location of this place. However, the portion sizes were quite small. If you’re coming here just to have a drink and a light bite, it’s perfect. But if you’re arriving hungry and expecting a full meal, even two plates might not be enough to fill you up.

I visited Alta Calidad while on the hunt for a Mexican spot during NY Restaurant Week and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Snapper Tostaditas, Carne Asada, and Churros. My favorite of the bunch was the Carne Asada. I would order that again if I returned. The service was great. The waitress answered any questions we had and the drinks came out fast. This was great value for a price of $45 (because it was during restaurant week). The ambiance was great, with natural lighting and good music. I would recommend this place to someone looking for slightly upscale Mexican food.

Honestly some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in NYC. Delicious flavors, fresh ingredients, and good portions. We had the chips and guacamole + salsa to share. Wow so delicious. They put tajin on the chips for that extra flavor. Also ordered the shrimp tacos - amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and not doing too much while still be so delicious. And the torta - wow. So so so delicious. Definitely recommended and will be back again.

Lovely spot for weekend brunch! Showed up around when they opened at 11am without a reservation and sat outside right away. A reservation in general would probably be recommended though. The chilaquiles have such depth of flavor with the two salsas, and the huevos rancheros were also pretty flavorful (though we preferred the chilaquiles if we had to pick). Solid portion sizes, left very full. We also split a ginger mocktail that was quite refreshing. Forget the name but recommend. Cool spot. Will be back to try their tacos.

An absolute hit every single time I dine here! The food is so good and the service is somehow even better. High recommended the tres leches cake for dessert!!

I had a fabulous pre Birthday brunch at Alta Calidad. The day was perfect sunny day, outside dinning while people watching. Servers were very knowledgeable and great recommendations based on our dietary needs. My chicken tacos were yummm, I had an organic white wine - absolutely delicious. Highly recommend

⭐⭐⭐ 3/5 – Decent flavor, but tiny portions and overpriced I ordered one serving (which only comes with two very small tacos). The menu listed them at $19, but I was charged $20 (slight discrepancy typo or last minute adjustment? 😅). The meat was a bit tough and charred, nothing exceptional for the price. That said, the restaurant itself is stylish and clean (your typical Instagram-worthy spot). Note: The guacamole shown in photos is a $5 side (only the lime is free, lol). Bottom line: If you’re actually hungry, you’ll need two orders ($40), which feels excessive for tacos that don’t stand out. As someone familiar with authentic Latin flavors, I’ve had far better at lower prices. This might impress tourists, but it didn’t win me over.

Came today for lunch for the first time, it was also their 3rd anniversary. They had a Mariachi band and tequila tasting to celebrate. We had an excellent meal, drinks were buy one get one free until 4pm, and service was outstanding. Queso fundido (not pictured), shrimp, pollo asado, and carne asada tacos, enchiladas campenchana, and tres leches for dessert. Everything was delicious!! I love going to a restaurant where I feel welcomed and not rushed. Can’t wait to come back!

This place has great Mexican food! Even the salsa they start you with had great flavor! We started with the Ruta Nachos for our appetizer, and we loved them! They were the best nachos we ever had! It was packed with black beans, jalapeños, chihuahua cheese, and queso fresco! They did not skimp at all! For dinner we had the steak enchiladas, mixed seafood enchiladas, and chicken quesadillas. The best out the three was the steak enchiladas. My sister loved them, and gives this place 5 stars! I had the mixed seafood enchiladas topped with a habanero cream sauce. I thought it was very good, but I thought the habanero sauce could have more flavor. My husband had the chicken quesadillas. The chicken in it was well seasoned and tasted excellent! It was a little different than quesadillas we had at other Mexican places because it had more meat than cheese. We had the platanos for a side and that was DELICIOUS! We will definitely be back. I recommend Ruta Oaxaca in Astoria!

Overall, it was a decent spot. Service was okay—nothing to rave about, but not bad either. The shrimp flautas and esquites were definitely the stars of the night—super tasty and well done. Unfortunately, the tacos didn’t quite live up to the hype; they were slightly underwhelming flavor-wise. BUT — and this is a big but — we asked for their hot sauce when we realized the tacos needed a little help, and wow. That sauce was a total saving grace — spicy, flavorful, and brought everything to life. We might go back just for that hot sauce alone, haha.

We pass by this place often and finally gave it a try. Did not disappoint! Their guacamole is OUTSTANDING! Chunky guac with tons of veggies - it was so so tasty. Been dreaming about it since. Food: Really delicious. The standout was the guacamole and chips. The mains were good and would definitely get again, but neither had a big wow factor (at least not like the guac had). The tacos were good, larger than expected, but slightly dry. The quesadillas were smaller than expected but very tasty. It also came with rice and beans. Drinks: Got the berry margarita and was tasty. Service: Pretty good. Our waiter was attentive and refilled our waters often. Our order was taken within reasonable time and food wait wasn’t noticeably long. Ambiance: Darker setting, good for dates. Music was a bit loud but overall pretty good place!

It was a good experience to finally visit the first Ruta Oaxaca since I've visited all, but my favorite is still the one of all would be the location in Patchogue because of the staff. The food was the same authenticity at all locations. The chips and salsa were okay, but the Patchogue roasted tomato option is top tier. If you are going to drive, it will be difficult. It is best to use Uber or take the train...it is a busy restaurant filled location. Sorry for not having images of the food. It was good and I wanted to dig in but if you check my other reviews, you dish presentation are the same.

Very unique, and perfectly done vegetarian Mexican food. The orange salsa + the sour cream is top. GET THE CORN TORTILLA! I would skip the tres leches, wasn’t great. Guac was top, chips were fresh, quesadilla great.

This was my second time visiting this restaurant, and it didn’t disappoint! My friend and I accidentally found this place a few months ago, and since our first experience was great, we decided to come back today. everything was wonderful—the waitresses were friendly, and they even gave us a complimentary little bowl of chicken soup, which was a nice touch. The menu has a great variety of food, and the drinks are delicious. This time, I got a mix tacos, and it was just as tasty as I remembered. Overall, a fantastic place with great service and food. Best tacos I tried outside Mexico! You can see is an authentic taqueria as the tacos have 2 tortillas. Flavour is epic. Sauces are homemade, green one was my favourite. It is only cash but the have an ATM inside.

How does a Mexican restaurant NOT have sour cream???? Blasphemy! This place is a hole in wall. Not much of an atmosphere, but it's a quick place to order out. There are only 3 tables inside, but it's such a small location so not really a place to sit and eat. Food is mediocre at best. How does a taco come with only chicken, onions and cilantro. A TON OF CILANTRO!!! THAT'S IT! No cheese, no lettuce, no tomatoes. $54 for tacos, quesadillas and Jarritos is not worth it. Will we return... sorry to say... nope.

This place used to be great a few years ago but evidently things have changed, 6 tacos are like $28. Cash only. I’m not innately opposed to a cash-only business, but if you’re going to try to evade taxes at least cut us a break on how much the food costs. Anywho, overpriced and underwhelming. Dry tacos, with low quality meat. Would not recommend, there are way better places nearby.

Do not be fooled by the small size of this restaurant. It's actually one of the best legitimate Mexican taco places located in Staten Island. If you want your traditional tacos, this is the place to go! They are fresh and served with an amazing green or red salsa that will leave you asking for more. My favorite tacos are the chicken and "lengua" tacos with cacti (also known as the tacos Aztecas). This restaurant also serves tortas, entrees, and quesadillas, in case you're not in the mood for the tasty tacos. Ps- Do NOT forget to bring cash, unfortunately this small restaurant does not accept debit or credit cards so the owners do ask for you to bring money in hand. But do not fret if you forget because there is an ATM machine located inside.

im bias because i like mexican food. this is one of the few joints I normally order from. They hardly speak english so you know they are legit. tacos have gotten really expensive throughout the years, but they make the best green sauce in my opinion. Go for the tacos (chicken, steak, and/or chorizo) and ask for the green sauce. their tamales are really good too!

Place a delivery order when it arrived both consommes were leaking. It was so severe that the bag was completely soaked and ripped leaving puddles of broth on the table, little pieces of meat of meat and cilantro all over the foil covering the empanadas. I reached out to the restaurant and was basically told that they wrapped the consomme three times so that it does not leak, it was only wrapped one time, and that It’s the fault of the carrier because they were on a bike and could’ve been speeding; because he was previously a courier and drinks with spill when he would speed over bumps, and that’s what happened. won’t be ordering again.

Birria pizza was excellent. Service was fast and ready quickly. There were a few seats to sit at a counter. Mexican soda is plentiful.

Best birria tacos out there. Amazing consome. Two tacos each and we split a (large?) consome. Reasonably priced - I can’t imagine much else in the area is as affordable. Took about 20 mins after ordering, but we didn’t mind. The guys working the line were putting in overtime. Take out orders continuously pumped out to a never ending revolving door of doordashers. Pretty loud and chaotic but that was part of the fun of it. A few small tables and a small bar-style counter to sit at. Looked like a small market in the store as well. 10/10

I ordered for delivery from this location yesterday with my colleagues. I was enjoying my Al Pastor burrito but then there was a short black hair that was in it, I pulled it out and didn't say anything to not ruin my colleagues appetites too... but then I continued chewing and there was a staple thing in my bite. My colleagues said it looks like its from the metal sponges. Anyways, I am horrified by my experience. Do better and don't let this happen again with your future customers.

I never leave reviews but y'all gotta try that orange sauce. I got it with the burritos and the dude gave me a plethora of sauces for me and my friends n it was gas. Kinda tastes like fruity and spicy.

I have had Birria tacos many times where I live at however nothing even comes close to or compares to the Birria Pizza that they make here. It is NEXT LEVEL!!!!! I couldn't stop eating!! The quality of the ingredients and the Birria sauce is superb. This place serves Mexican food of the highest quality. Period.

We visited the location that only sells regular food without seafood The taco you want will not disappoint you and personally I liked the horchata water quite a bit although the guava water was not bad. A delicious flavor, it feels like you are eating tacos in Mexico.Definitely if I go to the city again I have to go back and buy those delicious tacos The service left a lot to be desired, perhaps because we arrived 10 minutes before they opened and the person who was organizing outside was in a bad mood.I understand that it is tiring to work under pressure and in the heat, however I should have a better attitude.I think that in the food business, attention does matter and the guy who serves the truth seemed even annoyed.Although I have to say that this does not discourage me since the taste is worth putting up with the bad face.If you pass through the city I 100% recommend this place so you can try the tacos, very 😋

The taco truck lives up to its legendary reputation. The lengua and al pastor tacos along with cebolitas asadas hit the spot. Chill and lively atmosphere at the plastic stool seating while the order ia prepared.

I recently visited this restaurant and placed a takeout order. After waiting for about thirty minutes, I discovered that my food had been ready the entire time, sitting with the delivery orders. No one informed me, and I only found out because I asked. To make matters worse, the order was incorrect, and the staff refused to replace it, even though I had not touched the food. This was a very disappointing experience and a clear lack of customer service.

I enjoyed the tacos I had, but they were a bit small for app. $3. I'm used to having pineapple in my Al Pastor, but not sure if I tasted any in the one I had. I think one of my favorites was the Chorizo. The cucumbers on top was interesting and enjoyed the onion they included with each order.

Flashy decor can't save average food. Tacombi offers visually appealing Mexican decor but fails to deliver on food quality. The pastor and asada tacos had dry, lackluster meat and questionable corn tortillas. Both the esquites (small with merely acceptable flavor) and orchata were unremarkable. While the bathroom was clean with necessary supplies, it's poor lighting and unfinished construction gave an unsettling atmosphere. Overall, tacombi might satisfy non Mexican palates but falls short on quality. All style, little substance.

Stumbled upon this spot while walking down Bleecker Street. Portion sizes were great for us — just right for sampling a variety of dishes. There seemed to be a lot of hesitation when we asked if items could be made a bit spicier.

Food was amazing. It's a little expensive, but paying to get that flavor is definitely worth it. Only downside is it takes a little long for food to be out, and I ordered a quesadilla when the kitchen just had gotten a really big order so they told me it would take even longer. Since I didn't have time, I just told them a refund was okay, and they supposedly refunded me but i never got the money back. So everything was amazing except for that. However, I will be back with friends soon!

Great place for Taco Tuesday! I travel to Mexico about once a year and this place felt very authentic. The corn esquites is the best I’ve ever had and I would come back just for the esquites alone. The guacamole was fresh tasting, but the chips leaved a little something to be desired. I also tried the beef birria taco and the Sinaloa shrimp taco, which was served with a salsa that almost set my mouth on fire - watch out! I enjoyed the agua de sandia and my friend commented that she liked the margarita. I look forward to returning. Tip: make a reservation in advance

Very chill on a Sunday night. The host was nice and the food was tasty and well-seasoned. I got the plate with al pastor and definitely recommend it. I was surprised it was so quiet inside but it was a great option to unwind after a busy Sunday.

Event time I'm in the city, Taqueria Diana is a necessary stop. The restaurant cozy, with a great neighborhood vibe and extremely reasonable prices. I have yet to have a dish I didn't like, and their margaritas are fantastic. If you like salsa, theirs is house made. The roja it's a little fruity with a nice kick of great. The guacamole doesn't disappoint, and the elote is fire (ask for it off the cob). My favorite tacos are the carnitas and al pastor, but if you don't eat pork, the chicken and beef options are also delicious. If you are hungry, go for one of their plates. Last night I tried the roast chicken for the first time and I'm not sure I'll need to eat at all today, it was a MEAL.

Stopped by here the other night on my way to the bus terminal. Spot is very small, but in a cute way. You cant really come here with a big party though. But i was there to sit at the bar anyway, which was like 4 seats lol. Ordered a Strawberry Margaritas it was really good, not too sour,taste the alcohol but it was just a bit sweet. It was good enough for me to order another and it wasnt as sweet, which was nice lol. Service was attentive and staff was available. It was only one team member there but he seemed to be holding down the fort. Can't speak on the food, but the drinks are good!

Had a great experience my friends and I stopped by after long day at work, we had amazing time food was great and a lot, the cozy ambiance with the amazing locals that makes it so home. Music was great, we ate, sand, dance. Highly recommend this restaurant. Ill be here next trips to come.

It’s the kind of spot where the focus is clearly on quality food made with care. Overall, if you’re craving Mexican cuisine and looking for halal options, this place does a fantastic job. The food is good but it ain’t that good. Over priced and terrible service. They’re stingy with limes and giving seasoning & the portions (see photos for examples). The birria trucks are a better taste wise and usually bigger. Plus homeless people are constantly walking in asking for money (at least 2 came in the span of 15 mins). Taste was fine and cleanliness was fine but the rest of the short comings don’t make it worth it.

Upon a late night arrival, my siblings and I were uncertain regarding the authenticity of their online fame. We were welcomed with an underwhelming ambiance. The joint was deserted, except for two couples and a lonely customer. Knowing that in New York, the city where nobody sleeps, no gem is ever left without a line. Regardless of this unexpected scene, we put aside our dignity and dove into this Latino experience. The cashier, a welcoming presence, suggested their best sellers. Their famous beef birria tacos and sliders. The wait was short enough to be overlooked, but long enough to leave us unimpressed. Once our number was called upon and our fresh steaming platters presented to us, we were aesthetically pleased. When the time came to activate our tastebuds, they were incinerated. The scorching hot tacos burned through the flavor of the spices, but once they cooled down we realized that these WERE just any birria tacos. The taste was somewhat mediocre for the exorbitant price of 5$ a tacos. On the other hand, the soft pillowy bread of the sliders invited us into a warm soothing state of mind. Overall, what stuck to us were the small portions, the average taste and very minimal seating. It’s halal tho!

I've come to this store many times and usually get the loaded fries. It's Manhattan so I'm expecting high price for small portion size and I'm a fan of the flavor.. However.. today I got the burrito and a small consome, and this must be the disappointment girls feel when they see what they're working with. Incredibly small burrito portion look like a kids meal, The condiment/spice cup is there for reference. Can probably eat the whole burrito in 5 bites. The consome also has NO meat in it, it's just like a watery soup with nothing in it. Very disappointing portion sizes. Please do better.

Came here for a drink Saturday afternoon. This place definitely has a vibe. Cool mural on the wall and even on the ceiling. You order everything from the bar and seat yourself. It does get loud when it’s busy and when people raised their voice. They have a great selection of draft beer, draft cider and draft wine. The price are really reasonable. Menu isn’t big but has good Mexican food selections. Happy hour only weekdays 4-7pm

The nachos are actually exactly what you’d expect in a standard, satisfying plate of nachos and they’re big. Perfect for sharing with 2-4 people. Love that they have a breakfast burrito at night. Vibrant and fun atmosphere with a good selection of beers and tacos. It's perfect for the location right by the park. Large open windows and a sensible mix of tables (high and low, benches and stools). The style is definitely Mexican, although it's through rose-tinted US glasses. Well worth a visit for the friendly, social atmosphere and speedy service.

Empellon al Pastor is an amazing place to go for tacos in the East Village. It has a classic Mexican vibe, mixed with a dive bar. I really liked the aesthetic in the bar, and was happily surprised at the Happy Hour pricing on tacos and Tecate beer. If you're looking for a fantastic place to grab tacos in NYC, look no further than this place! Really loved how they had a mix of both classic, and more modern takes on tacos!

We hosted a graduation party here for my son's class and everything was wonderful. The staff was kind and helpful and made the night easy and seamless. The food was delicious as were the cocktails. The atmosphere was perfect for a casual yet lovely and festive evening!

Atmosphere - I was going to a event near by and was looking for a nice place to grab a quick drink. The night I arrived - they were doing a movie night and were slightly reluctant to me sitting outside as people would sit there in an hour. However I walked for just a quick drink and the staff was super sweet and helpful. They had me sat quickly. This was the best part of my visit. Sadly after this it kinda felt downhill. The customer service was amazing. Food and drink - I ordered a sour and it was like 14 dollars. I can’t remember the exact amount so don’t quote but me it came in the smallest cup I’ve ever seen. I was shocked. I just wanted a real drink. Staff told me that it’s because people get shocked now how expensive the big one is. I would have appreciated a disclaimer. I just wanted a reasonable price beer. The price shocked me. The quac and chips were good. And the taco was fine. Because of the drink issue alone I will Never go back

On the day itself, I had the chance to meet the manager, the owner, and one of the servers, and every single person I interacted with was warm, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. Their attentiveness and care created such a welcoming atmosphere that my guests and I felt right at home. The space itself was perfect — vibrant, comfortable, and easily the best venue of all the ones I looked into. Parklife truly went above and beyond, and it was everything I could have hoped for in a sendoff celebration. I can’t recommend them highly enough — Parklife is by far the best outdoor venue in Park Slope/Gowanus an event.

I liked the place. The food was good and well presented. Fast, maybe a notch too fast service. Drinks can be also a little pricey. But overall it’s a cute setting with good food and space. I recommend it and will go back !!!

The best thing about this place is the staff and the atmosphere.. Who doesn't want to eat dinner in a park? I wish the food were better. The menu seems to be some sort of Persian Mexican mashup lacking the spicing and flavor of either country. The chicharron were limp. They definitely could have used a reheating before serving to get them crisp again. The guacamole was passable and the chips were good. I thought the tacos were dull. The Frito pie would have been better had it actually been a Frito pie instead of a fancified version. We had the chicken fried steak tlacoyo. It sounded more interesting than it actually turned out to be and the meat was tender. This seemed like a good spot to be young, drink with your friends and not really care too much about the food! Definitely more of a scene than a dining experience.

We hosted a large pre-wedding event at Parklife. Alonso and team were very helpful pacing fooding and drinks so we did not need to worry about it. The outdoor space worked perfectly.

Atmosphere is fine, food is quite shit and drinks are expensive compared to other options near by. Would not go again and would tell people to avoid unless there’s some big happy hour deal or something that knocks $3 off beers.
