Seafood restaurant
Taverna Kyclades is a bustling restaurant located in Astoria, NY, known for its fresh Greek seafood and vibrant atmosphere. Despite not taking reservations, the eatery draws in crowds, including celebrities like George Clooney and Bill Murray. The chef sources the finest swordfish, red snapper, octopus, and squid from local markets each morning to prepare simple yet flavorful dishes on the grill or stovetop.
We had a wonderful experience. It was my first time here, but my friend had been here before. We didn't have to wait for a table but got seated right away which was a pleasant surprise. The food was great! I loved the spreads, the octopus, the baby shark, also all the sides, and the ginger mint mocktail. I am coming back to this Astoria gem!

Nice bright blue and white colors. Plenty of inside and outside dining available. The oysters were nice. The grilled octopus 🐙 was the highlight of my visit. I should have stopped with those two dishes. I had the stuffed shrimp. Visually appealing. Way too much stuffing on each shrimp, and the shrimp were chewey and overcooked. Staff was friendly, and the service was good.
RG N — Google review
We visited Taverna Kyclades and had a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable—every staff member, even those who weren’t our primary server, made sure we had everything we needed. For appetizers, we enjoyed crab cakes with fried zucchini. For dinner, my husband had a white fish stuffed with crab meat, while I had a pasta dish featuring five types of seafood: octopus, mussels, clams, scallops, and shrimp. Every bite was full of flavor, and the portions were incredibly generous—we had to take half of our food home and enjoyed it for a couple more days! Overall, the combination of excellent service, delicious food, and large portions made this a truly delightful dining experience.

We have been wanting to go here for a very long time, but just never quite made it. That was a mistake! They don't take reservations so we waited for a while. It was fine the area has a lot to see and do, so we walked around. We had the village salad, Kyclades special (seafood platter),grilled chicken, rice, and potatoes. There was only 2 of us, and enough food to feed 4! Each bite was better than the next! All the food was fresh and delicious, and reasonable! We will be going back a lot! Great Greek food!🇬🇷

Really affordable, came for lunch. The dip is great for groups but could have done without. Couldn’t taste the crab dip that well. The calamari was sucha great deal and large portions. Good crisp, wish we had a touch more lemon. The Branzino was the star, good portions. All for about 100
Hank N — Google review
octopus and whiting were some of the best I've had, and the seafood pasta was delicious. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, right down to the amazing olive oil on the table. The place has a great, bustling energy because it's always packed. Be prepared for a possible wait, but trust me, the meal you'll have makes it all worthwhile. Highly recommend!
ALPER Y — Google review
Delicious Greek food in the heart of Astoria, Queens. Even though I liked the old location better, the new location is 2 blocks away from the old location. Waiting time is about 45 minutes and you can’t reserve before you go. It’s difficult to find parking in the main street but you can find parking in the streets a little bit far from the restaurant. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Hiyam H — Google review
The place feels a bit packed inside, and we ended up waiting 45 minutes for a table for two on a Friday night, definitely a popular spot. The portions are generous. We tried the grilled octopus, which was flavorful and tender, though the spices were a bit overpowering. The seafood pasta was just okay, plenty of meat, but nothing particularly memorable. The lemon roasted potatoes leaned more boiled than roasted. On a brighter note, the free dessert was a delicious surprise.

Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Corona, Park Side Restaurant is a cherished gem that has been serving up classic Italian cuisine since its inception as the Corona Supper Club in 1960. With an ambiance reminiscent of old-world charm, this establishment features waiters clad in tuxedos who treat guests like family. It's a popular spot for celebrating life's milestones—think graduations and anniversaries—where diners can indulge in generous portions of delectable dishes like swordfish, shrimp scampi, and lobster risotto.
The service was a bit slow at first, but once we placed our orders, we were treated like kings and queens. The food was all top-notch. We had the Tbone steak, Carbonara, seafood fra diavolo, Mussels with a killer marina sauce, baked clams that were gone as soon as they put them on the table. Crispy Calamari, and you absolutely have to try the broccoli rabe. We had a blast with a family of 4 ordering everything a la carte.

My Review of Park Side Restaurant (Corona, NY) Today was my first time visiting this restaurant — and I was truly impressed. You can feel the special atmosphere right away. It’s clearly a classic, long-standing place: there were many older guests, probably regulars for years, and also a good number of younger people too. That says a lot about the quality — this restaurant brings generations together. The service was excellent — attentive, polite, and fast. The interior has a cozy, traditional charm. It honestly feels like being at home or in a good Italian movie. 🍝 The portions were big, and the food was delicious. Real Italian cuisine, simple but full of heart. I especially enjoyed [insert your dish here — for example: “the fettuccine Alfredo” or “the chicken parmigiana” I definitely want to come back again and would recommend this place to anyone who values great food and a warm atmosphere. Thank you to the staff and owners for creating such a welcoming restaurant. 🙏

One of the best Italian Restaurants I’ve been too. There is only one other that I know of and that’s Michael’s of Brooklyn! Their Arribiata sauce is out of this world. Alfredo the gentleman up front is incredible. He has lots of stories to tell. Lots of famous people have gone here and it’s based around a Marilyn Monroe theme. Truly beautiful and food is really Incredible and fresh.
Jenn Z — Google review
A Queens staple. Been in the neighborhood forever. The funny thing is. The demographic inside the restaurant is a sharp contrast to the demographic just outside. But the people still go there for that authentic ‘Queens Style Italian food.’ Come for the great food and also enjoy the ambiance. Plenty of characters in there. Loud talking tables with that Queens, Long Island accent. Very ‘NY Italian’ if ya know what I mean. The food was good. Not 1000 percent gourmet, but very delicious. I went with the seafood dish over linguini. Huge portion. Very yummy. Had lobster, shrimp, mussels. I also recommend the shrimp pasta dish. Check the pictures. Presentation is fantastic. The food looks just as good on the plate as it does in your mouth. Not a fan of the baked clams. They came out burnt. Look at the photo. Surprised they sent them to the table that way. Also a very very small portion. Not what I would expect for 15 dollars. Again. Stay for the meal but enjoy the atmosphere. Lots of characters in there. All straight outta a wise guys neighborhood sitcom. I guess they just can’t help it. Plenty of parking with valet. Convenient The pistachio dessert was tasty. Left with enough food to take home. No regrets.

Been going there for many work Christmas party's. It's ALWAYS TOP NOTCH! From beginning to end and everything in-between. Start at the Bar then enjoy ALL the rest. ❤️❤️❤️

Lamb chops and branzino is what I had the pleasure of having. The fish was well prepared. The lamb was not my favorite. Very chewy. Prior to the entree I had garlic shrimp and beet salad. Delicious...

Located in the East Village near Tompkins Square Park, Pylos offers an elevated Greek dining experience in a cozy setting with terra-cotta pots hanging from the ceiling. The restaurant focuses on natural elements and comfort food, creating a rustic ambiance reminiscent of Ancient Greece. With an extensive wine list and traditional cuisine from all regions of Greece, Pylos provides an elegant yet contemporary dining experience.
It's a nice restaurant. The appetizers were delicious and tender. Squid was juicy, octopus too! The potatoes with lemon were very interesting! Two different fish were also very tasty and the leg of lamb was very interesting. I recommend it, it's delicious!

We decided to try Greek food for the first time for our dinner date and stumbled upon this restaurant - and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. When you walk in, you’re greeted by the host with a warm smile and seated immediately. Our first impression was that the place looked phenomenal - the clay décor on the ceiling, the wine bottles, and the vibrant colors all contributed to an amazing ambiance. It felt both cozy and welcoming. The service was exceptional. Our server gave us excellent recommendations for both food and wine, clearly speaking from expertise. As first-timers, we found their guidance incredibly helpful in deciding what to order, and they made sure our glasses were never empty throughout the entire evening. The food itself - besides looking like a painting Apollodorus himself could have created - was absolutely delicious. We had the roasted red pepper stuffed with whipped feta, which was creamy and perfectly spiced. We also enjoyed the saganaki and the htapothi scharas (grilled octopus), which were my personal highlights of the night. Everything tasted fresh, was seasoned to perfection, and transported us straight to Greece with every bite. Thank you so much for such an exceptional experience! We will definitely be back to try the other dishes on the menu.

Elegant atmosphere with friendly staff. Lamb shank was excellent. Pistachio crusted wild bass was a little salty on outside and a little tasteless on the inside. Arugula salad was basic with isolated elements (more of a DIY salad). Restaurant was mostly empty but we were told to sit at the bar because we didn’t have a reservation.

What an amazing find! Search for a good place to have lamb chops got us here but we had no idea we were in for an absolute treat. The meatballs and moussaka as appetizers and lamb chops for main course was an experience for the taste buds. Everything was fresh, plentiful and delicious. The Galaktobourekakia was the perfect end to an amazing meal. Not to forget...the friendliness of the staff and pleasant ambience makes it an ideal spot for a special meal. We will be back!!

Fantastic! The food was terrific. We split the Maroulosalata salad, which was huge and easily enough for 4 people. My wife had the pork shank, wow! Exploded with flavor. My wife’s friend had the Pastitsio. I had the sirloin steak. All were so delicious. Our server appeared to be confused at various points during our visit. I expected problems, but thankfully none occurred.

Bahari Estiatorio is a lively Greek restaurant in Astoria, offering an authentic menu of Hellenic standards. The open-air kitchen provides a glimpse into the preparation of their traditional Greek cuisine, perfect for group gatherings. The restaurant features charcoal grilled meats and fish, as well as classic Greek dips. With its spacious dining areas and bustling atmosphere, it's a popular spot for locals and visitors alike.
First time at this Greek restaurant and it was an amazing experience! We started with the grilled octopus and combo dips. Each one was fresh, flavorful, and perfect with the warm pita. The moussaka was rich and comforting and the lamb chops were grilled to perfection tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. Excellent service by our server George and a cozy atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back and recommend.
Dan O — Google review
The environment was nice, but overall, the experience didn’t live up to the expectations. I was surprised by the big difference between what we received and what others posted in their Google reviews—especially the $28 octopus dish, which came with just three tiny tentacles. I saw photos from other diners showing portions nearly twice the size. I'm not sure if there were other factors involved, but it felt inconsistent. The other dishes were a normal size, but the T-bone steak was just okay. Honestly, I think I could’ve gotten a better sear on it myself at home. All in all, it wasn’t terrible, but I wouldn’t go back. There are plenty of better options around—that’s just my opinion.
Monkey ( — Google review
The lamb was really good — flavorful, tender, and cooked well, just served at room temperature . The appetizer with the different dips was good and so was the house one. If the above had been the whole meal, I’d easily give this place 4 stars. Unfortunately, the chicken was a big letdown. It was bone dry and even a bit burned, which really took away from the overall experience.
Dario H — Google review
Lovely place in the heart of Astoria. The lamb was so tender as falling off the bone and super tasty. The red snapper was delicious as well. Friendly staff and family friendly atmosphere.

good, authentic greek food in queens — the grilled octopus is a must. not a huge wait even for a late lunch on the weekend. the saha ali wasn’t my favorite but everything else hit. simple, homey feel inside. would return with a group to try more seafood.

absolutely lovedddd this spot! Discovered this spot through a tiktok video of a chef being interviewed, they asked him “where do you go eat when you’re home sick?” His answer was Bahari. This place did not disappoint! Proportions, price, service and most importantly ~ TASTE!

Everything was absolutely excellent. We got the branzino, grilled shrimp and octopus and a couple other hot and cold mezes/starters and loved every one of them. Service was also great, from the host to the servers, just amazing, everyone was so nice. Can’t wait to be back to try their meat dishes!

Agnanti is a charming taverna located in the heart of Astoria, NYC's Greek neighborhood. The cozy restaurant offers a range of Greek island-inspired dishes, including grilled seafood and traditional Turkish cuisine adopted by the Greek community. With a patio offering views over Astoria Park, guests can enjoy their meals in a picturesque setting. The Aegean-style taverna exudes warmth and nostalgia, with its decor featuring artifacts and photos from the old country.
Incredibly good food, thoughtful and fast service, lovely ambiance, and complimentary bread and a little dessert. Highly highly recommended! I loved this place and will absolutely be back soon. I didn't get a picture of the zucchini & cheese fritter/croquettes but they were also excellent. Very fresh with dill throughout.
Sean M — Google review
My parents and I (Greek-Cypriots) had dinner there and we were blown away by the atmosphere, the authentic and delicious food, and the service. We all agreed this was the best food we've had during their visit in New York, and everything was as authentic as it gets. It was worth the price, which was a bit on the high side, but you get more than what you pay for imo. The location is also great, right by Astoria Park and far from the busy roads, so the ambience was nice and quiet. They had a nice selection of Greek wines too, as well as free desert at the end (as is typical in many traditional Greek restaurants).
Stavros V — Google review
The waitress was very kind and attentive, which made a great impression. The calamari were fresh and absolutely delicious, and the Greek salad was perfectly authentic. The highlight was the cheese with honey – better than any dessert, a true delicacy. Highly recommended!
Mirko S — Google review
When you first arrive to the restaurant, there is a clear view of Astoria Park. And looking inside of the restaurant, it feels like you’re escaping into a different part of the world not only was the decor fabulous but so it was the experience of eating there, the food was wonderful. We started off with the calamari. I ordered the chicken Slovakia and my friend ordered some kind of meat dish that was very rich. We finished off with some desserts that they treat us to on the house, the staff was super accommodating, very helpful and so explanatory overall lovely experience.
Celine — Google review
This was a VERY authentic Greek restaurant, with incredible food and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and they almost transported us to Greece for the evening, but the authenticity was also a drawback as we were left waiting for the check for nearly an hour. Small price to pay for the amazing meal, though!
India R — Google review
A go to spot! Consistently delicious with excellent atmosphere, service, and the best people working there. A great spot to go for date night, or to bring the whole family, and in the best location beside the park. Sitting outside is also a great time in the summer, under their umbrella. Always coming back and craving their dishes!

Went on Labor Day and it was BUSY! We didn’t have to wait too long to be seated. Service was very prompt for how busy it was (lunch rush) and food came out fast! shrimps were perfectly cooked and so flavorful. Mussels were also super tasty. I LOVE lemon potatoes snd these were perfect texture (I squeezed more lemon on them). Enjoyed the food and good service!
Kateryn K — Google review
The staff at Agnanti are just top notch, pushing this review to full score. The grilled octopus was tender and delicious. The Aegean pasta, fantastic. The chicken souvlaki was a bit on the tough side, understandably so with how large the chicken chunks were. The atmosphere is very comfortable. Agnanti is definitely worth your night out. They were keen on making sure we did not leave hungry with free plates of rice and dessert for the first timer.

Yefsi Estiatorio is a charming Athenian-style Greek restaurant located in the Upper East Side of New York City. The owner and chef, Christos Christou, brings with him years of experience from top-notch Greek restaurants in NYC and his native Cyprus. The restaurant offers a refined and stylish environment with elegant cherry wood furnishings. The menu features elevated meze dishes, including cheese and seafood delicacies like octapodi and stifado.
Yummmm. 😊 I had a great evening at @yefsinyc, the best Greek restaurant in the UES! The food was amazing—totally Greek, totally delicious. I could almost hear the Mediterranean waves and the sounds of fishermen beating octopus on the side of their boats. But even more amazing at @yefsiestiatorio is the hospitality. In no time, I was sitting with Katerina, the chef, the owner and his wife. I felt like family… An amazing place, this Yefsi Estiatorio. They don’t just feed you here—they totally take you in.

Unbelievably good food down to the simplest dishes. Everyone was friendly and kind to my 3 year old son. This may be our new favorite Greek spot on the upper east side.

First off the portions are so small it will amaze you..like obviously small. I like the atmosphere but the servers are dead inside and the food taste like it was made in the basement. Just not fresh and with no gloves....you can skip this place

I absolutely loved this place! The staff were very accommodating to us and were so kind my friend's toddler! They were incredibly sweet and on top of that the food was amazing! We order the Avgolemono soup which was bright, delicious and surprisingly light. I also had the mousaka which was delicious, though very hearty if you want something light. I definitely recommend this place.

From first bite to last, quality remains consistent. The dishes are incredible & I can sincerely say everything I've had has been wonderful. People who enjoy nice surroundings will appreciate this place. Complete approval. This place shows impressive attention to detail.

Wow wow wow! A Greek place you want to eat at and can trust! My fiancé is from Greece and we’ve been on the search for something that’s comparable to what we get in Greece and so far THIS spot wins! And this is comparing it to spots in Astoria as well! We opened with the dips which weren’t based with filler potatoes or bread, which we’ve found very common in the states. They taste homemade to me! Everything else following the dips, after knowing that the dips are good was FANTASTIC. Highly recommend the lamb chops they were a delight! I can’t wait to return with family and more friends! ♥️ Servers were so kind and delivered everything timely and at a great pacing. The complaint we had was water refills and when asking for hot water or lemon, it never came. We ended up going to the server station and asking for it after 3 tries of requesting from the table. Went last night and it felt so cozy with the Christmas decorations. 🥹

It's a nice Greek restaurant located on the UES. We ordered lamb with rice, pasta with shrimps, and calamari (see pictures). Although I like the lamb, the portions were kinda small. This was such a cute spot to walk into on a week night. We went around 7pm on a Wednesday and the restaurant was at about 20% capacity. The food was good and the vibe was chill and great for talking. I like this spot for girls nights as well as a more intimate date.

A great dinner with an old friend at Snack Taverna, serving inventive Greek cuisine. We started with their answer to the Manhattan, the Snackhatten, which includes Metaxa7, a Greek brandy. For dinner we did a bunch of shared plates: - Muhammara (a dip made of roasted red pepper, pomegranate and walnuts); - sautéed calamari (with gigantes, garlic, lemon, and cilantro); - eggplant papoutsakia (“little shoes" stuffed with beef, lamb, onions, garlic); - lamb triangles (with kefalotyri cheese baked in filo).

I truly feel I found a hidden gem in this restaurant that’s located in one of my favorite neighborhoods in New York. This restaurant is absolutely fabulous! It is also very reasonably priced. Our waitress was ver kind to us. I’m always on the lookout for a restaurant that serves brunch because I love having breakfast and brunch. When I read the menu that it serves oatmeal I absolutely had to come because it’s very hard to find a restaurant that serves great oatmeal. The dish is called Oatmeal “Cappuccino”. I thought it was very creative to put steamed milk on top of the oatmeal. I loved it! The Pullman bread was very delicious served with seasonal jam and apple butter. That’s also something I’ve never seen before as well. I’ve never seen a restaurant serve apple butter. My friend ordered the scrambled eggs with home fries and salad. She loved the vinaigrette on top of the salad. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal very much. I will definitely come back because there are other things I really want to try. I’m so happy I discovered this restaurant. I highly recommend it to everyone.

A quaint Greek eatery in the west village that is great for a casual dinner. The “whole shebang” and lamb triangles are two items I highly recommend from the whole menu. The service can be slow when they are busy, but no rush at all, they are attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back!

We tried Snack Taverna for lunch and enjoyed our visit. There were very few guests dining at the time we visited so we got right in. We started with the hummus which was good. The pita bread is great! I had the shrimp soulvaki which I really liked. I only wish it came with a few extra shrimp. My husband had the Chopped Salad with Chicken and he thought it was great. I tried the diet cola which I wasn’t a fan of as it tasted super sweet. However, it was from a local company so I think it’s great that they support the local community. The server was great which I feel is difficult to come by in NYC. He was attentive and checked on us after our food came out. We would return.

The best branzino I have ever tried. Lots of healthy options and a great ambiance. Portions are big and that I really enjoyed!!! The sampler was delicious as well. Cappuccino was delicious. Would be back soon!!!! Highly recommending!!!!!

These two dishes were exquisite. The depth and complexity of the flavors, reflect the abundance of spices that went into them. Also the bread was warm. 9/10. 1. lamb triangles (spiced lamb, capers, graviera cheese baked in phyllo) 2. muhammara (red pepper, pomegranate, walnuts, harissa and peasant bread)

Good brunch spot with Greek twist. Food was good, with reasonable portions. Music a bit loud for my personal liking but fun spot. Does have all you can drink add on for those interested.

A true staple in Astoria Queens. One of the best spots for lunch, dinner and brunch!! The owners are wonderful and their team is exceptional, specially Kolleen, the manager. She’s the best!! Pete and Chris have truly outdone themselves with the location and the food. Been here plenty of times, the cocktails are excellent and the food is delicious.

Date night at a local Greek Institute. Everyone told me this place was their favorite Greek restaurant around here and I can clearly see why. A mix of modern takes on Greek dishes including some wild fusion delights. Highly recommend trying a few of the fusion dishes, including the Greek melt, their beautiful lamb in the sandwich form feeling like an American take on Greek classic. And also have to try their Baklava Cinnamon Roll —- totally unique, dessert and something I will have to be back for soon.

First time visiting this place!! Cozy Greek restaurant 🍴 Great atmosphere, good food & good service too😊 We ordered a lot of plates to share amount them the Greek salad, grilled octopus 🐙, Burgers, mussels Meze 🫒(We find out the burger a little bit dry and the mussels should have more “broth”) . We were seating at the table next to the door, I really loved the outdoor sensation even if you’re not seating outside.

Elea is a bi-level eatery located on the Upper East Side, offering a cozy Mediterranean atmosphere with Greek Island vibes. The restaurant features exposed beam wood ceilings and a seafood-forward menu that combines authentic Greek cuisine with modern flavors using seasonal ingredients. Guests can enjoy outdoor seating and a three-course prix-fixe menu for lunch. The restaurant is known for its rustic Greek dishes such as Htipiti, lamb chops, crudo, hummus, taramasalata, and more.
This restaurant is so delicious. The feta red chili pepper spread was our favorite. Also the lamb chops were great along with the cucumber chips. The only dessert we liked was the chocolate mouse thing. The cheesecake is too light. The baklava was too dry.

I love Greek food, so I was excited to try this restaurant—and it did not disappoint! The portions were generous, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the Kounoupidi—crispy cauliflower fritters. From the outside, the restaurant looked quite small, but once inside, we discovered a whole additional floor downstairs with plenty of seating. Despite being very busy, the atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the service was attentive. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

Very elegant vibes at this place. We got three spreads, the almond-garlic was my favorite, and the pepper-feta was good as well. The moussaka was delicious — very rich and the portions were generous.

Absolute fab experience. Reservations recommended on weekends, plenty of seating outdoors and indoors with a spacious basement perfect for family seating. Vegetarians also have plenty of options which was surprising! What to order: Tasting of 5 Spreads ($32) - Skordalia stands out, Grilled Halloumi ($18), Gigantes ($16), Asparagus ($12) - all cooked to perfection! Non Vegetarians won't go wrong with Lamb Chops ($55) or Grilled Shrimp ($25). Service was absolutely fantastic but our server Arthur was friendly and attentive. Very welcoming and friendly staff. We will be visiting again with friends and family!

This is what I call a great dining experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful -though despite having a reservation, we were first offered a table in the basement, which we politely declined. The staff kindly seated us at the bar while we waited, and within a few minutes we were moved to the main dining room. The service was excellent- fast, attentive, and professional-and the food was genuinely delicious and authentic. The only small downside is that when you start at the bar, you need to close your tab before moving to the table, which means two separate bills and tips. Not a big deal, but something to know. Overall, a wonderful evening- great food, great atmosphere, and a team that clearly cares. Highly recommend.

Vegetarian restaurant
Nestled in Floral Park, Queens, Usha Foods has established itself as a beloved destination for vegetarian Indian cuisine over the past two decades. This no-frills eatery is renowned for its mouthwatering snacks and sweets, drawing in loyal customers who rave about their favorites like puri and chole, halwa, vada pav, and chai.
On behalf of The Center for the Women of New York, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Usha for their incredibly generous and delicious donation to our Taste of the World at Fort Totten gala. They provided dhokla, a traditional steamed savory cake made from chickpea flour, which was an absolute revelation for many of our guests. Light, fluffy, and delicately tangy, it was seasoned with mustard seeds, fresh cilantro, and a hint of chili—offering a unique and refreshing flavor profile that stood out beautifully among the diverse dishes at the event. It was such a pleasure to experience something both unfamiliar and utterly delicious, and our guests were thrilled to try this authentic and thoughtfully prepared treat. It is because of adventurous and community-minded businesses like Usha that we are able to raise vital funds for our mission of supporting women in the New York community. Their generosity not only provided a wonderful culinary experience but also highlighted the importance of sharing diverse cultures and cuisines with our community. We highly recommend Usha for their exceptional dhokla and their tremendous heart. Thank you for introducing us to this delightful dish and for helping make our event an unforgettable success!

When you crave for Indian snacks and a restaurant like Om Sweets/Anand Sweet, this gotta be your GOTO. We tried Usha Foods for snacks and found this place to serve the finest Indian snacks, and the menu is rich. The place is well maintained but could be cleaner. The order is served reasonably quickly. The place offers ample seating space. The location has street parking, which is easily available. What deserves a special mention? The food is just great. And at par with what you get in India. What could be better? The place needs to upgrade its ambiance. It feels dated. It has the potential to become the best.

So this Saturday Today 8/2/2025 I went to Usha food with my four brothers. The line took almost an hour which is ridiculous you wasted our time and time is precious. Do you understand that so this rest have done so evil to me we will never come here again. The The food was so bad. The food was so bad it tasted like dog water. They don’t think I’m making the sweet God they rather people get sick and they finish all of the ingredients. This is the worst restaurant I ever came in my life. I went to a lot of other countries I went to Europe, Asia. I’ve been all around the world and this is the worst restaurant. You can think this is so bad. I made a very mistake that I came to Usha food as known as Usha sweets if you ever come to food or suites again that would be the worst mistake in your life if you ever come to us your food, it will be the worst mistake. You ever done in your life. This is a very terrible store

I’ve been a loyal customer of this establishment for quite some time and have never experienced an issue—until today. I placed my usual order, only to be surprised when the food came out hard as a rock. When I asked for either a redo or a refund, I was told it would have to be run by a manager first. As someone who has supported this place consistently, I expected better. When you step into Adda, an extraordinary Indian restaurant nestled in Long Island City, you'll quickly realize how fortunate you are to indulge in their mouthwatering dishes. The menu features delightful options like curry goat and biryani topped with a flaky layer of dough that will leave your taste buds dancing. It's the perfect spot for those who enjoy sharing plates, as you can sample a variety of chaat, grilled meats, and rich curries.
Walk in at the bar. Very comfortable, plenty of space. The goat biryani was incredible and fragrant. The lamb chops were the perfect level of spice — incredibly tender. The curry leaf crab was a show in itself. Johnny was fantastic, attentive, and his cocktails were unmatched. Highly recommend

Adda is truly one of the best new spots in Manhattan! Every single dish we tried was outstanding, and after visiting twice, we’ve loved every second of the experience. The Butter Chicken Experience is absolutely brilliant. Personalized to your preferences and presented in such an intimate, thoughtful way. Chef Neel is nothing short of spectacular. His talent and passion shine through in every detail of his cuisine, and it was a real pleasure meeting him. On one of our visits, we celebrated my wife’s birthday, and the team took such wonderful care of us. They made the evening feel extra special, which meant so much. We also felt incredibly lucky to have the same server both times. Swayam elevated both of our visits with his warmth, expertise, and genuine hospitality. He guided us through the highlights of the menu and made the entire experience unforgettable. Exceptional food, amazing service, and thoughtful touches. Adda is a must-visit!

Really good food. High quality ingredients and balanced flavours across all dishes. I could go into detail about each but to summarise, all the dishes were really nice, none over spiced, there were distinct flavours and everything was cooked well. None of the dishes blew me away and gave me the desire to come back as soon as possible! The service was fantastic and we were very well looked after, it was good fun to have the pickle card wheeled over to us and a waiter bring the chaat options over in a big tray. I would reccomend getting the sigdi prawn and lamb chop. The goat biryani was nice, portion was HUGE, could feed two. The bill before tip came to $160, we didn’t have any drinks or desert.

Dining at Adda was a truly memorable experience — from the food to the atmosphere, everything stood out. The restaurant manages to capture the warmth and vibrancy of India in both its flavors and décor. The moment you walk in, you notice the wallpaper, which feels like a piece of art on its own — colorful, layered, and full of character. It instantly sets the tone for what’s to come: a dining experience that’s traditional yet modern in all the right ways. The food was absolutely outstanding. The pickles and papad were brought to the table on a cart, which added a fun, interactive touch. A server also brought chaat to the table, freshly prepared and bursting with flavor. The Bhatti Da Murgh and Nimbu Wala Murgh were both delicious — perfectly cooked chicken, full of spice and depth. The Special Fish was another standout, beautifully seasoned and flaky. Everything tasted authentic and made with real attention to detail. To finish, the kulfi with strawberry dip was just perfect — rich, creamy, and a creative twist on a classic dessert. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the whole experience felt polished but still casual and comfortable. Overall, Adda is one of those rare places where every detail feels intentional, from presentation to flavor. A must-visit for anyone who loves Indian food done right.

Adda is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in NYC! The food is always hot, flavorful, and packed with authentic taste. My top pick is the Lamb Parcha tender, rich, and bursting with spices. The Lukhmi is another must try crispy, savory, and impossible to skip. For the main course, the Baby Goat Biryani is a standout fragrant, perfectly spiced, and deeply satisfying. And don’t miss the Oye Khajoori mocktail a refreshing burst of sweet and tangy flavors that ties the whole meal together.

Greek restaurant
Loi Estiatorio is a traditional Greek restaurant located in Midtown with a focus on serving classic seafood and other Greek dishes. The restaurant offers a minimalist dining space with the option for outdoor seating. Run by chef Maria Loi, who is known as the official ambassador of Greek gastronomy, the restaurant celebrates ingredients like olive oil, yogurt, and wine.
Chef Maria prepared me the most fantastic meals I've had in an incredibly long time!! She made me feel what it was like to have truly authentic Greek cuisine again. It's been so long since my Papou was around, but I felt right at home eating here! I came back the very next day because it really was that remarkable! Her culinary excellence is representative of the best of Greece! ❤️🇬🇷

Loi is unbelievable!!! When it comes to food, friendliness and flexibility. Myself and my wife were having a micro-wedding in Central Park and wanted something amazing that was close by so we could all walk, following our ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion. Alex and Maria (Loi Estiatorio) could not have been more accommodating and flexible to make our wedding day and reception so amazing and so memorable. First of all, the food is a delight. Greek food that blows Gyro's or kabobs away (those are great too, but Loi is a whole different levl of great). The Octopus appetizer (which we loved having eaten at Loi in the past) was a favorite by all. Branzino and Lamb Shanks were popular dinner options, and the menu had something for everybody. Great shared appetizers to start, beautiful entrees to choose from, and a all encompassing desert with a little of everything (try the Baklava!!). We also like to drink and the wine was amazing, beer crisp, and the cocktails exceptional (try the espresso martini!). We had a few late changes to who was arriving, we also wanted to work with a decor person as well as have a wedding cake dropped off, and Loi couldn't have been happier to work with us and our vendors to pull off the most special day on 10/25/25. I've put a few photos of the ambiance, decor and food in the review. We cannot wait to come back for our 1st wedding anniversary and hope you take the time to read this and give Loi a try on your visit to NYC or if you're looking for something delicious in a beautiful setting. Thank you Alex and Maria for making our day a dream come true. We will be back and can't tell enough people about you! - Colin & Debby

This is the ultimate Manhattan Greek dining experience. Warm and homey - Chef Maria Loi is a delight. Everything is distinct and fresh. Octopus and Branzino! Kataifi is sublime! Trust me. It’ll cost u but is worth it!
Corey H — Google review
This is one of the best restaurants in all of Manhattan. There are tons of choices, but when you find one that just seems to hit all the marks, why go anywhere else? Not only is the hospitality top-notch from Chef Maria Loi, but the house manager, Alex, is amazing. They are both so friendly and make you feel like family. Chef takes such great care in greeting each guest and making us all feel at home. The same goes for Alex. We had a great conversation with him after our meal. The quality of the food only adds to the atmosphere. It's so close to Times Square and all the touristy locales, but if you really want to experience NYC, I highly recommend Loi Estiatorio. It's literally my go-to for client and personal meals. This past visit I tried the branzino and it was absolutely fantastic, with a nice char-grilled flavor, but light an flaky. The pastas are cooked to perfection, and spreads are absolutely amazing. The food is filling, but you won't feel miserable from trying everything! Fun fact, but ALL of the meals prepared here don't use butter. Instead, everything is prepared with the finest olive oil, and you can really taste a difference - especially with the baklava. This really is one of the best restaurants in all of NYC. Give it a try and you'll see exactly why this intimate Greek restaurant is a treat for the senses. You won't be disappointed. Absolute classic Greek.

Service professional and friendly. Interiors modern and fabulous. Food was outstanding. We had the lentil soup that was perfectly prepared. The stuffed grape leaves appetizer were exceptional. The grape leaves were cooked spot on. My guest had the branzino with greek roasted lemon potatoes and seasonal greens. The fish was prepared simply, because you don't need much else where your ingredients are fresh. Fish is shipped daily from Greece. I had the roast chicken breasts with carrots and lemon potatoes with a creamy sauce that had no cream whatsoever. The chicken breast was like butter. For dessert we had the walnut sponge cake with cinnamon syrup and the shredded Phyllo soaked in honey, and topped with Custard, Light Cream & Toasted Almonds. Everything was exceptional. But what makes this place stand out from all the other Greek restaurants in NYC is Chef Maria Loi. It was an honor to meet her today as she welcomed guests. Don't miss this place. It's amazing.

Beyond Exceptional. This location is a global institution, and stands head and shoulders above any other Greek Restaurant in North America for a great variety of reasons. Probably above most upscle Manhattan restaurants in general at this level. Maria Loi's depth of knowledge, judgement and humulity in the context of what she has accomplushed and continues to push for is Professorial, at the level of a departmental chairman in an Ivy league University ... and do personally know a few....So I know;-) On my first visit, whilst I did try to avoid taking up her time, Professor Loi prompted me to ask questions, and gave me valuable, pragmatic advice, particularly in the context of struggling to recreate the same nutritional value and tastes / textures in cooking food that would normally be easy if the ingredients had been freshly available in Greece or Cyprus. It more than worked. It is fascinating to reviewing Maria's trajectory from European diplomat, lobbyist, media relations, and now as a philanthropist, television personality, and multiple invitstions as speaker at academic conferences on longevity and the mediterranean diet. Everything on the menu is beyond carefully thought out, coinsistent, and meticulously prepared. What is presented has dense nutritional value, is expertly cooked and sourced from suppliers that us mere mortals have limited access to - Maria's mediterranean seafood supplier being a prime example. To an extent, the menu is a mainstream representation for what would usually be palatable to mainstream US based clients. And that is why God created places like Tsolias on Nicocleous street in Ledra - where we can have Kefalaki, Kokoretsi, Elassonitiko, Kontosouvli, and Sheftalies I am not "just going to eat" what my Yiayia ate. Thank you Maria Loi for all that you have done and continue to do for society as a whole. It far exceeds what "restauranteurs" would normally envision in terms of promoting healthy living concepts. A perfect example of this is how you forcibly keep the the price of your olive oil down, despite multiple and repeated attempts by Amazon to inflate the price. That's integrity! And More.

Souvlaki GR is a popular Greek restaurant with multiple locations in the city, including a food truck. The ambiance is casual yet romantic, adorned in the colors of Greece and inspired by traditional Mykonos cafes. Despite occasional slow service and cramped quarters, the incredible food makes up for it. Visitors recommend making reservations due to its popularity.
I went in for the baklava but fell in love with the decor. Such an elegant feel and warm servers. I loved the chicken skewer and tzaziki sauce Now the BAKLAVA..... it's good, very dense, moist and has a lot of filling. BUTTTTT, it was Soggy. I mean why would you make an almost perfect dessert and let it get so soggy. It was really tasty but I really wish they would pay attention to the texture because it completely ruins it.

Authentic Greek cuisine served with heart—this is a family-run gem within a small local chain. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, making it a perfect spot for real conversation or simply a warm, cozy night centered around good food. If you’re craving honest, flavorful Greek dishes without the noise or fuss, this place is a clear winner. A hands-down favorite for anyone who appreciates comfort and authenticity on a plate. The deserts are home made and delicious!

The place is small, and you should definitely make a reservation if you want to be sure to get a table. It's beautifully decorated, and every detail is designed to make you feel like you're on a Greek island. The menu is varied and delicious. I ordered the classic moussaka, and my companion had the souvlaki with fries. The lamb souvlaki was good—the best part was that it had nice, tender, and flavorful chunks of meat. My dish looked small when it arrived, but I could barely finish it. So delicious! I would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful experience at Souvlaki GR. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. This quaint little hole in the wall restaurant shouldn’t be overlooked! We had 7 in our party and made reservations in advance. The restaurant was packed on a Monday night at 8pm. For the table, we ordered chicken, pork and shrimp kebabs that were delicious, as well as some hummus and feta spreads, pastitsio, spanakopita, and fries. The baklava was also perfect! You definitely will be bumping shoulders in this tight space but the food, waitstaff, and experience are worth it. Thank you for the attentive service!

We had a fantastic experience at Souvlaki GR – Midtown! The food was absolutely amazing — we ordered the Psita Tis Oras Poikilia (grilled meat platter for two) with lamb chops and traditional Greek sausage, and every bite was flavorful and authentic. The white wine paired perfectly with the meal. The staff was super courteous, service was fast, and the Mediterranean music added a lovely vibe. butcher bar is a great BBQ restaurant with delicious food and great service. It's perfect for meat lovers who want to enjoy some delicious barbecue without having to go out of their way. The Sangria was good and the meat was so tender it fell off the bone. The spinach and brussels sprouts were really well seasoned, making this a meal worth returning to.
I finally got to try Butcher Bar in Astoria, and wow—it totally lived up to the hype. The Infamous Meat Candy burnt ends were insane. Seriously, probably the best I’ve ever had. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, super tender inside, and packed with flavor. I could have eaten a whole plate of just those. We also had the mac and cheese, which was really comforting and creamy—just the kind of side you want with BBQ. The place itself has a really chill, welcoming vibe, and the staff was great too. The burnt ends were pretty good, the fat well rendered, the brisket was too lean for my taste, and the pork belly was a disappointment. It was cut so thin that it was hard and dry. I was disappointed that the cornbread has gotten way smaller or maybe they just gave less than they used to since it was one of the things we enjoyed. The Brussel sprouts and queso street corn were both really delicious. The cheese fries were super disappointing as the fries were not fresh cut and desperately needed some color. Our server was nice but not to be found when we needed him given it was a quiet weekday and there was only one other table there. I do think it was only him and the cook there at that time so I didn’t make a big deal of it.

Everything is amazingly good, even the pickle is salty to perfection. All the meats were juicy and flavorful, and the servers are very attentive

Came here for dinner and couldn’t wait to post this review. I’m in and out of Texas and Tennessee five times a year. I’ve eaten at historic BBQ spots down south, some dating back to the 60s. I know a good brisket and pulled pork when I see it. I’ve attempted to have southern BBQ in NYC many times and it always falls short, sometimes criminally. Butcher Bar does it real Texas style. The burnt ends will literally melt in your mouth. Not too salty either. The Mac and cheese is as rich as a billionaire. The corn bread is addictive. The fried chicken appetizer was spectacular and that buffalo sauce it came with, I could have drank it on its own. The beers are cold which is always something I look for. The wonderful owners Matt and Kathy were very hands on during service and they made sure to go table to table to make sure with all the costumers that the food was to their liking. This is literally THE BEST southern BBQ in the entire state of NY and could easily compete at a food fair with any down south spot.
Petros G — Google review
Definitely one of the better BBQ spots I’ve had in NYC. They get the sides right as well. Not sure what’s on the Brussels but eat some, it’s good. Coleslaw was standard tastiness but a staple. Cornbread was interesting in a good way. Very cake like. It’s own thing almost. Nice and moist. I got dry rub ribs so I could try the three standard sauces. Go that route and it’s saves $1 Had a “frose” Wouldn’t again. Had the street corn, just get the regular. No flavor. Would go back to try more things!

This is my favorite type of restaurant in the U.S. It reminded me of ‘Green Street Smoked Meats’ in Chicago, and I was satisfied not only with the taste but also with the price and portion size.

Greek restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of New York City, Periyali is a charming Greek restaurant that has been delighting diners since the 1980s. With its soft whitewashed decor and inviting atmosphere, it offers a perfect blend of traditional home cooking and elegant presentation. The menu features beloved family recipes made with simple yet high-quality ingredients, such as tender stewed rabbit and succulent grilled chicken.
Exquisite Greek Cuisine! I recently had the pleasure of visiting this fantastic Greek restaurant for lunch, and I was delighted by the experience. The dishes were prepared with fresh ingredients and packed with vibrant flavors. The menu features classic appetizers such as Horiatiki Salata and Soupa Avgolemono, along with creative options like Zucchini Fritters, showcasing the restaurant's unique touch. The entrees are equally impressive, offering a wide array of seafood, lamb, chicken, and steak. While I didn't try everything on the menu (though I wanted to, LOL), I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The interior is stunning, but I opted to sit outside on a beautiful day. The natural lighting was perfect for photos. I started with Tiganita Kolokythakia (Crispy Zucchini Served with Tzatziki & Lemon), Oktapodi Sharas (Grilled Octopus Marinated in Red Wine), and Horiatiki Salata (Traditional Greek Village Salad). The complimentary in-house olive bread was astonishing—worth returning for on its own. For entrees, we had Paidakia Thedrolivano (Grilled Australian Lamb Chops with Braised Greens), Branzino with Broccolini, and Scallops with Potatoes. Everything was delicious. The meal concluded with a warm slice of Walnut Cake served with ice cream. Exceptional food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and an overall wonderful experience. I can't wait to return! Totally worth visiting for the Prix Fixe menu if you want to experience their food but aren't sure what to order.
Jahleah S — Google review
Had items off the prix fixie menu $49. The charcoal grilled octopus was exquisite and cooked just right! It was the best I’ve had in a while. The garlic sauce from the patzaria skordalia paired well will the octopus. The bass, however simple it looks, tasted great! A great light dinner at 10pm and close to their closing time on a Friday. The service was great! Even when they received us an hour plus before closing time. The night was busy but they made sure to get our orders in and out within reasonable time.

Great service, atmosphere and food. We loved it at Periyali! All of our Greek favorites from the soup, the mains and dessert. Service was prompt and friendly!

Delicious food and incredibly friendly staff. I went to celebrate getting married and the thoughtfulness from the host and waiters was 100% amazing. It was such a pleasant experience

Amazing Greek cuisine! There are many reasons to come here, a great selection of traditional tasty Greek appetizers, mains, and dessert. But really you should come because the food is delicious and made right. The salmon wrapped in phyllo is my personal favorite, but there's something for everyone. The grilled octopus is amazing, the Greek salad so fresh, their feta cheese is great. I wont lie, this place is not inexpensive but it is most definitely worth it.
Alexander K — Google review
The restaurant was not crowded. There were fresh roses on the table. They offer a Prix fixe menu. The food was flavorful and aromatic. The staff was diverse, attentive, and knowledgeable about the food. I would return to try another dish.

I visited Periyali on my last trip to NY. It was the first time I ate at this place and everything was just FANTASTIC!!! Excellent food, place, service and wine. My husband is a fan of the greek food so we talked a lot with the waitress about the menu. At the end he kindly gave of a sample of each dessert. All of them delicious Dont hesitate to eat at periyalis. Is a really good place

It’s a great place to have a Birthday celebration! The grill octopus appetizer was a big hit, so were the Yellow and Red Beets. The fish was grilled to perfection and the Lamb Chops were delicious.

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurant
Mémé Mediterranean is a charming restaurant located in New York, offering a warm and inviting space with a bar and sidewalk tables. The menu features an array of Mediterranean small plates and Moroccan-inspired entrees. Guests have praised the exceptional food, full of flavor, such as the combination platter, Shawarma Royale, Chicken Tagine, and delightful Tiramisu. Despite its location near midtown, it's considered a hidden gem with friendly wait staff and a quaint atmosphere.
On a beautiful spring day, I visited Meme Mediterranean with a friend, and we were not disappointed! We were seated at a nice table, and our server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious—our appetizers were seasoned perfectly, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The main course arrived promptly and was delightful. I liked the flourless chocolate cake, but I wish the kitchen had put more effort into the presentation. Overall, we had a fantastic time at this charming little restaurant and will definitely return!
N.C H — Google review
Basically a fast choice and we ended up at this small local Mediterranean spot for dinner. They have a friendly staff, but they're very busy, especially when it's full. I would like to have given them a higher overall rating but the main plates were uninspired. The food looked fresh and appetizing but was kind of bland. Apparently, the cook likes red pepper flakes, but that is only one spice. The mains were hot temperatures but the sides weren't. The staff were busy and never asked if we wanted drink refills or dessert. A $30 appetizer platter was good but only came with what looked like one cut pita for four to share... Then they charged $2 when we requested one more. They are in a very busy neighborhood full of very good restaurants. Please up your game.
Joseph N — Google review
Went here for brunch as I was craving shakshouka but I have to say that I was a little disappointed. Serving was generous but the sauce was minimal and not overly tasty. I also didn’t like the pita served with it and would have preferred toast. We also had a share plate of dips and falafel. The falafel was very tasty. The service was satisfactory and I liked being able to sit outdoors. I would recommend it, but I’m not sure I would go again - unless perhaps to try some other dishes , as the food coming out for lunch looked good.
Lisa M — Google review
Delicious! The table to our left complimented the chef and the table to our right ordered the same appetizer twice because the first one was so delicious (a beet dish). We started with an incredible hummus and perfectly fresh falafel. I ordered the salmon with risotto, which I highly recommend. My husband had the scallop risotto and ate every bite. Dessert was a bread pudding with a fresh whipped cream that was heavenly. We’ll return. The lamb looked amazing as did the spicy margarita. Recommend opting for an early dinner if you don’t like a weekend crowd. It was fairly quiet at 5:30 but to the brim an hour later.
Jamaica A — Google review
One day I had their baked meatballs ($18.00), which were satisfactory. On a different day I tried their meze combination platter ($26), which I expected a lot better of. They offer a pleasant sidewalk dining area which, if it means anything to you, is across the street from a Target department store.
Harvey M — Google review
The food is great, but the drinks are bad! We ordered espresso martini and man, it had no alcohol! These guys are cheap and look for ways to cheat you!
Alex B — Google review
Disappointing experience. Came with a party of 3 — I was the only one drinking and asked for my wine to be charged separately(mind you I got a bottle). Still, 20% gratuity was automatically added to both my food and wine tabs. Their menu only mentions auto-gratuity for parties of 6+, so this felt sneaky. When I questioned the auto gratuity on the wine, the server scoffed and said, “Because you’re being served,” even though I poured most of it myself. Worse, I overheard him talking badly about me in the restroom. Totally unprofessional. We were considering coming back for brunch, but after this? Definitely not. A 10% discount text was received afterward doesn’t make up for being disrespected. Won’t return, and can’t recommend.
Jina O — Google review
Been here several times in the past two years. Food quality has been consistent. Services are always good. I would say this is a solid spot for Times Square area. I’m a 11 years New Yorker and I hate TSQ lol, but if I’m in the neighborhood for Broadway show, this is my go to. (The pan fried salmon with saffron rice is my all time favorite)

Manetta's Ristorante is a cozy Italian restaurant located in Long Island City, NY. Established in 1992 by a Roman Italian couple, the restaurant exudes a warm and homey atmosphere with its fireplace and charming old-school feel. The menu features brick-oven pizzas, pastas, and other Italian comfort food created by Phyllis, the chef and menu creator. The family-owned establishment aims to make customers feel like part of the family, offering efficient service with warm smiles.
Awesome! Best Italian in LIC. Maybe in New york city! Food tastes so natural and good and vibe is also cozy. Big portion of food! Good price!! There is real fireplace with bricks. So good! Highly recommend!!

Loyalty Doesn’t Always Matter: My Disheartening Experience at Manetta’s Ristorante After 18 years as a loyal customer, I never thought Manetta's Ristorante would behave this way. What started as a disappointing meal—overly garlicky, overpriced appetizers with tiny slices tomatoes (photo is bigger than it actually is) —quickly spiraled into something far worse. When I ordered takeout, Diane (possibly the owner, handling my order) failed to complete it properly. When I pointed out the mistake, she blamed me, offering nothing more than a half-hearted apology. Worse yet, her "solution" was completely unreasonable: I could either trek back in the cold or wait for a late delivery—both incredibly inconvenient. To top it off, the food lacked flavor, as if it had been prepared by someone just learning how to cook rather than a skilled chef. It was nothing more than carbs, and definitely not worth the price. What stung the most, though, was the realization that the staff didn’t even recognize me as a loyal customer until I mentioned it. Diane, who is there frequently, didn’t even make an effort to remember faces or acknowledge long-time customer, which made the experience feel impersonal and dismissive. As a long time customer, being treated this way was beyond frustrating. Family-owned or not, mistreatment like this is unacceptable. Sadly, I can no longer recommend Manetta's. There are too many other local spots that know how to treat their customers with respect.
Ada Y — Google review
The pictures I’ve posted are across two different visits to this restaurant. Both times I’ve been here the experience is extraordinary. The flavors of each dish were incredible, the ingredients they use are quality, they use a brick oven for their pizzas, and the prices are very reasonable. Every pasta I’ve had was cooked perfectly with the right balance of flavors, and every pizza I’ve had was wonderfully crispy with a slight taste of wood in the charred bits. If you’re ever in Long Island City, this place is a must if you love Italian food.

We came without a reservation, but we were seated right away. The inside is charming. The only issue was the noise. The acoustics are bad, as it was hard to talk with one another. The service was excellent. They were very friendly and attentive. The food was also excellent. I had a steak and a seafood appetizer. I didn't think the prices were too high for the product. We will likely return, although maybe for a lunch. They have a wood fired brick pizza oven that smelled delicious.

Manetta is a delight! Neighborhood spot of 30 years and feels so homey. Outstanding service…Habib gave great recommendations! The house salad is something special. I can’t wait to have it again. And also the Mona Lisa pizza is out of this world. Arugula, mushrooms, truffle, parm…sooooo good! Ideal combo. Also loved the vodka pasta. We will definitely be back!! Such a gem of a spot!

Magna Restaurant is a stylish and family-friendly Italian restaurant and bar that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a contemporary setting. The menu features a variety of breakfast options including healthy bowls, breakfast combos, and a mouthwatering hot and cold buffet. Additionally, the restaurant has received praise for its good food, fast service, reasonable portion sizes, and attentive staff. Customers recommend trying the crispy calamari and fresh pasta when visiting this local gem.
The location of this restaurant is off the beaten path with hardly and foot traffic. Luckily, if you are from out of town and want to get some breakfast or dinner without getting wet, the back end of the restaurant is connected directly with Marco LaGuardia Hotels and Suites, which is where the restrooms are located. We had some delicious calamari, entrees, double espresso shot, cappuccino, and the desserts were some of the best we've had outside of Little Italy.

While on a short trip to the city, I went out for a walk and got hungry. Looking for a local breakfast place I found this unassuming little spot tucked in the back of a hotel. The staff greeted me warmly and I was quickly seated. They had quite a few food options including a huge breakfast buffet, but I chose the simple and less expensive American Breakfast. The coffee was very good. The food came out quickly and it was tasty. The eggs were prepared as I requested. The staff was attentive and kept my coffee cup full. The place is very nice although it does not look like much from the street. I was pleased with the simple and not too expensive breakfast options.

Restaurant
Tournesol is a charming French bistro located in the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens, NY. The restaurant has been serving traditional bistro fare and regional wine for several decades, attracting a lively crowd of regulars. Despite its upscale ambiance with white tablecloths and fine wine, Tournesol maintains an unstuffy atmosphere. The menu features dishes like duck liver terrine and moules frites at relatively affordable prices compared to other fancy French restaurants in the area.
I went here for dinner with some friends. It’s such a cute spot. We didn’t have reservations, but luckily arrived just as a table was opening up. It’s a small to medium-sized French restaurant, very reminiscent of what you’d find in Lyon. The food and wine were absolutely amazing, and the service was great. Just a heads up if you go, they only accept cash and AMEX. Other than that, if you're looking for a cozy date night spot or somewhere that’s not too crowded, this is it.

This French restaurant is a cozy little jewel in LIC. Service was good and the food was delicious. We took our family for brunch. I think it could be a great date night place. I will say that there are a few rough looking characters that hang out on that area of Vernon. There’s a police station right around the corner but still be alert. I wouldn’t let that stop me from going there for a date.

Dinner for one, Friday night. Price: $87, $15 tip. Had appetizer, entree, dessert, glass of beer, glass of wine, bottle of water. Let’s break it down! I was seated a few minutes after walking in, ice old beer came immediately. Waiters/staff are direct and to the point. No fluff, no nonsense. (I’m ok with that- they’re European!) Appetizer: The shrimp/chorizo salad was tasty, but light. I would have preferred more greens, less raw onion and maybe a lemon wedge for the shrimp. Portion could be bigger. Entree: Garlic chicken. Grilled nicely but a tad dry, the sauce saves you. I was not a fan of the mash…whatever that was. The chicken already has strong flavor of garlic, I don’t see the need to have more of it in the potatoes. It needed salt and most DEFINITELY butter. I was surprised I tasted no butter whatsoever, especially in a French dish. I recommend another side like a sweet potato or a just adding butter to whatever is being used instead of chucks of garlic. It was overbearing and heavy. Moderation, please. Portions for this dish were very generous. Dessert: no complaints at all. Cleaned the plate. Wine: ordered the 2023 Pinot noir, went well with dinner. Inexpensive and easy to drink. Service: timely, and professional. The waiters don’t hover over you and come over quick when called. I will return to try to some different dishes. I like the simplicity of the place but I wish Americans became more aware of how obnoxiously loud they are when they’re speaking in such a small, quaint restaurant. Contain your conversations, Brad. I can smell your breath from here.

Had an amazing evening at this lovely French bistro! The space was so romantic and cozy — perfect for a special night out. We started with the pâté and the salmon tartare — both were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The tartare especially was so bright and refreshing. For mains, the duck was perfectly cooked, and the beef bouillon was rich and comforting with deep, layered flavors. To finish, dessert was absolutely delicious — the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. Can’t wait to return!

Such a gem! We’ve eaten here a couple of times and absolutely enjoy it. Great food, great prices, and a very typical French experience overall (and amazingly doesn’t suffer from crowds of screaming Americans that try their best ruin your intimate date night…). The skate is def worth trying. It has a very tender and mild flavor. And of course the beef bourginon and soupe a l’onion are staples. Service is prompt and caring. Just what you’d expect of a traditional neighborhood resto that’s been around for ages. This isn’t for the insta famous crowds. It’s for a local couple who wants a solid meal for a solid price and a consistent experience.

Just got back from France, and dining at Tournesol felt like we never left! This authentic French restaurant gave us a truly wonderful experience. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, and the owner’s kindness made us feel right at home. Got a nice bottle of wine to start. For appetizers, we had the duck tartine and the crab cake special with lobster gazpacho—absolutely delicious and full of flavor. For entrées, we went with the specials: lamb shank and a white fish dish served with polenta. Both were cooked perfectly, rich and comforting just like a true French meal. To finish, we shared the chocolate mousse and crème brûlée, which instantly transported us back to Paris. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate—not too loud—making it a perfect spot for conversation. We loved everything about this place and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

Excellent time there with a large group of friends. There were 13 of us and the restaurant was ready for us. The food was excellent and the staff was very accommodating. The place is very beautiful and much more warm and friendly compared to the old site across the street.

We dined in yesterday and ordered the chicken masala (butter chicken) both my friend and I suffered diarrhea today and felt so bad. I’ve been to the toilet 7x in 12 hrs. The other 2 people with us didn’t experience the same because they didn’t eat the butter chicken. I don’t have a sensitive stomach at all and this is the worst food poisoning I’ve experienced in my life. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this place. Additionally, they charge a mandatory 18% tip, then ask another tip at the end. We usually tip 20-25%, but charging ahead gives off scammy vibes. I feel bad for other people who don’t check. TLDR: Food is dirty, gave us diarrhea. Scams customers with mandatory tip then asks another after payment.

Such rich and wonderful flavors. Staff was more than capable to explain dishes to those of us not familiar with the cuisine. They were happy to make some modifications to the order before submitting to accommodate allergies and preferences. Hope to go again! This area also has a fun and lively street market and vibe in the evening!

Whether you're enjoying buttery spanakopita or delectable baklava on-site or grabbing a quick bite to go, Pi Bakerie offers a warm atmosphere complemented by friendly service.
Excellent cafe with a variety of home cooked style food! Tasty bakery and coffee, plus delicious baklava. Loved stuffed pepper, it’s a common dish enjoyed in Eastern Europe, so I felt happy to eat my familiar cuisine.

After returning from a soul-stirring vacation in Greece, I found myself yearning for the rich, savory simplicity of authentic Mediterranean flavors—especially those found in Greek desserts, where tradition meets indulgence. Enter Pi Bakerie, an unassuming jewel tucked away in Lower Manhattan that transported me instantly back to the sun-drenched streets of Athens and the island charm of Santorini. Among the many delights, it was their Greek orange cake that truly stole the show. Moist, fragrant, and flawlessly balanced between citrus and sweetness, it is a masterclass in restraint and richness. The texture speaks of careful craftsmanship, and every bite evokes the warmth of a home-baked Greek classic elevated by artisanal finesse. The pricing? Entirely justified by the quality. The service? Impeccable—attentive yet unintrusive, delivered with a warmth that mirrors the hospitality of the Aegean. The ambiance is a love letter to Hellenic culinary heritage: comforting, elegant, and quietly transporting. Pi Bakerie is more than a bakery—it is a curated experience of Greek flavors brought lovingly to New York. A rare, underrated treasure that deserves both applause and repeat visits. A standing ovation to the team for preserving and sharing such scrumptious authenticity. P.S. This is not a paid endorsement—just the heartfelt praise of a very satisfied sweet-toothed New Yorker .

Pi Bakerie has really become my go to local coffee shop in SoHo. It’s one of those places that manages to feel both casual and elegant at the same time. The space is bright, warm, and always smells like fresh baked pastries right out of the oven. They serve excellent coffee perfect for starting the morning or taking a mid day break and their Greek dishes are genuinely authentic and flavorful. I’ve tried a few of their salads and each one has its own personality, but the watermelon feta salad really stands out with its refreshing balance of sweet and savory. The orange cake is another must try moist, fragrant, and perfectly sweet without being heavy. They also offer several different types of baklava, including some modern or “downtown” variations that are a fun twist on the traditional Greek classic. Everything I’ve ordered has always been fresh and beautifully presented. The staff here are consistently friendly, attentive, and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do, which adds to the overall atmosphere. Whether you’re stopping in for coffee, lunch, or dessert, Pi Bakerie is a gem in SoHo that never disappoints.

2" thick slab of bechamel with a 1" sliver of moussaka below, for $18.50, served at the counter on a paper tray. Go get your own plastic utensils over there. Side salad? Ha, that would be another $8. And we suggest you tip us for standing in line and getting your own utensils and drink at 20-25%. I'm getting truly sick of trying to eat out in NYC... (The moussaka below the top 1.5" of bechamel was pretty tasty).

Quintessential SoHo establishment. Small, quaint and has the BEST baklava I’ve ever had (my Lebanese relatives make an authentic one which I use for comparison) and small cookies which are very flavorful without relying on a bunch of sugar in the batter. Really outstanding and the coffee is wonderful too.

First time here for a party on the rooftop. Decided to get a table after seeing the reviews. Alexa greeted us and was so accommodating. Even after I requested a different table she was amazing. But the food is truly the star. Clams Oreganata were superb and a perfect way to start. We followed with the Seafood Risotto which was perfectly cooked and full of tender seafood. We finished with the Pork chop and peppers and I have never had a pork chop so tender and favorable. The party was fun and the music on point but the best part of the evening was the food and of course Alexa.

I have to say… this is one of the places I’ve absolutely LOVED the most! 🩷 The service was incredible — everyone was so kind and welcoming! 🌟 They have a promo (not sure if it’s every day 🫣), but for $39.99 you get an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert! 🍽️💖 On Wednesdays, bottles under $250 are 50% off 🍷🎉 and I found out that on Sundays they have brunch with a DJ — how cute is that?! 🎶✨ I’m 100% coming back because I had such a great time 💕 Everything was amazing and the people were sooo sweet to me 🥹🫶 I honestly thought it would be more expensive, but I ended up spending less than expected 🙌💸 Everything gets a 10/10 from me!! 💯💗 The food was beyond delicious 😍🔥

11/21/24: Had a holiday dinner with the office and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Granted it was a Thursday night but I was still a bit taken back. We were a party of 11, they sat us in a somewhat separate space, which was nice. The service and drinks were on point as usual. This is a great spot to bring people who have never visited. Cozy and surprisingly casual place. Pork Chop Milanese and Fish dish off the specials menu, Shrimp Santino, salad with grapefruit, Skirt Steak and a dessert assortment pictured. Charcuterie and Cheese Tasting not pictured but was delicious.

I can’t say enough about Vetro. I was surprised and engaged at the restaurant in May and the staff executed exactly what my finace wanted to perfection. I did my engagement party at the wine cellar this past weekend and from the valet to the set up to dinner the service was IMPECCABLE. Everyone was impressed. Frank Russo lll (I think-I apologize if I am wrong ) is a star there are NO words for his care and kindness and attention. The Bartender Dana (I hope I spelled it right) -well I’ve been to many places but she rocked and I need her for my wedding. All my guest couldn’t stop talking the service. great place for family and friends, very spacious and easy going vibes. the decor and furniture made us feel like we were in greece. the food was all delicious. menu highlights: lemon chicken soup (creamy and delicious), the dips (we devoured them), and the meat platter (great assortment doused in olive oil). we were so hungry and excited for the food that we forgot to let the phone eat first.

I came on a Sunday at 11:30 and dined alone for various unfortunate reasons. I was there until almost 2 and left much happier than when I went in. They made me an individual Greek salad which was very fresh with huge chunks of feta. I was also given half a loaf of very good bread. The tender lamb kabob with crispy potatoes was significantly more food than I had room for but I persevered. After all this I had to forgo dessert which is simply a travesty and instead ordered a hot tea to attempt to steady myself before going out into 90 degree heat. No one rushed me, they continued to refill my water glass as I made peace with my stomach. Suddenly a plate with a napkin and fork appeared. I checked underneath for a bill but it wasn’t there. Then a plate of the most beautiful and delicious Loukoumades I have ever eaten was placed before me. They were crunchy and feather light, coated and sitting in a pool of pure honey. Suddenly I felt able to chew again and I ate each one, savoring it slowly. Delicate crunch, soft inside, thick sweet honey. Hey, some days you just get lucky.

As always worth every penny ! What a wonderful dinner we had today, we were so lucky to have Rafaela today ! She is honestly one in a million ! What a beautiful person, from the moment she greets us to the moment she says goodbye ... always a pleasure to dine in a place where they make you feel like family. Besides the wonderful and kind service, you cant go wrong with the food. The octopus is a must !!!!! Its the most tenderness, flavorful octopus you'll have in NY. I love the saganaki, the baklava, the salads, the fried calamari ... we tried the pasticcio for the first time and it was delicious. All the busboys and staff are wonderful, I have to say nowadays you rarely find an establishment with people that actually care about their jobs ... this place is always consistent with the people they hire. I love Tellys and will continue supporting them.

SoleLuna is a cozy Italian bistro located in Sunnyside, offering a classic and authentic taste of Italy. The restaurant features a bright and inviting space with exposed-brick walls, where locals gather to enjoy simple yet delicious pasta dishes and bottles of wine. The menu includes traditional Italian staples like lasagna and pollo al limone, along with enticing dinner specials. SoleLuna prides itself on its homemade pasta, which receives high praise from visitors for its exceptional taste.
I can certainly appreciate the authentic Italian cuisine at this establishment as well as the atmosphere. My group felt welcomed by the outstanding staff here and we spent most of the time laughing with the staff while catching up. The pasta is top notch and make sure you ask about the specials before settling on a menu item. Thanks for a great evening.

Dining at Soleluna was an unforgettable experience, warm, welcoming, and bursting with authentic Italian charm. From the moment we stepped in, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality and quality walk so perfectly hand in hand. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted with free bread, a thoughtful touch, and honestly, not bad at all. A simple start, but it set the tone for what was to come. To begin, we had the Carpaccio di carne, a beautifully presented appetizer of thinly sliced raw filet mignon served with arugula, cherry tomatoes, and shaved Parmigiano. The flavors were bold and rich, though for my personal taste, the dish would’ve been even better without the Parmesan. The meat was already perfectly seasoned, and while the salad on top added freshness, the cheese pushed the saltiness a little too far. Still, a lovely dish with tons of character. The grilled octopus on mashed potatoes was an absolute standout, tender, perfectly grilled, and paired with the creamiest mashed potatoes. It was both rustic and refined, and the seasoning was spot-on. Our main course, the Trofie al pesto, was exceptional. The handmade twisted pasta had the perfect bite, and the basil pesto sauce was fresh, aromatic, and deeply flavorful. You could taste the quality in every forkful, it’s a dish that makes you close your eyes just to savor the moment. To drink, we enjoyed the Lime Caipiriñha a bright, refreshing cocktail made with Cachaça, lime, sugar, and club soda. It was balanced and crisp, a perfect contrast to the richness of the meal. We finished with the pistachio chocolate gelato, which was smooth, decadent, and just the right amount of sweet. The pistachio flavor really came through and paired beautifully with the dark chocolate. Every dish (with the exception of the Parmesan-heavy carpaccio) was perfectly seasoned and flavored, showcasing the kitchen’s skill and respect for good ingredients. If you’re looking for a special night out, this place will not disappoint. We’ll definitely be back.

I googled for best restaurants in Sunnyside. Soleluna was one of’em. I walked in and sat myself down by a window side. Chelsea offered me the menus and water with a smile. 👍👏‼️ I asked for her recommendations and had Burrata to start with and Papardelle Al Funghi. She made my day-off! Every bite was delish and esp Papardelle was full of flavor. She and Nico stopped by a few times to ask me if I was enjoying!? This calls for hospitality! Attention to details. I chose to have Panna cotta, which she seconded as a very good dessert. It was a home run‼️🫶😋❣️It’s a beautiful room, great ambiance w music. Friendly service. The room was full of energy. This is my new destination for lunch! Kudos to chef/ owner and team 🫵🫡🫶‼️😋😋 luved it. Ty. Best presentations of dishes❣️❣️

The food was spectacular. I had a lasagna bolognese, and even though it wasn’t served the way I thought it would. It was delicious. I normally never eat salad but the Buratta, Insalata Sotto Le Stelle was both amazing. Limited options for dessert, I’d say go got the tiramisu. A friendly staff with a heavy accent but will get the job done and even more. Atmosphere is bar setting.

This is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants I've been to in NYC. It is understated and would be easy to walk by without thinking twice. But after the first meal here my wife and I decided we had to have her birthday dinner here. It was just as incredible the second time. I am genuinely in awe of this place. Amazing hospitality, incredible food. I'm not even a restaurant guy, I generally prefer to cook at home. But, this restaurant cannot leave my mind and taunts me to come back.

Recently came with a friend and we both enjoyed it! We'd definitely come back to try more of their dishes! Solid dishes and generous portion sizes. We got the: sotto le stelle salad with chicken - fresh ingredients and generous portion size Faggotini alla valerio - nice hint of sweetness to the filling and the butter and rosemary sauce was so good! This was probably the favorite of the night. Gnocci al tartufo - smelled amazing because of course it did with the truffle oil! It was good but not as good as the faggotini and I was slightly surprised given everyone else's reviews for this dish.

M. Wells Steakhouse, located in Long Island City, is the brainchild of Canadian chef Hugue Dufour and his partner Sarah Obraitis. The restaurant is housed in a converted auto body shop next to a loading dock, giving it a unique and funky atmosphere.
M.Wells offers a truly unique menu that delights and surprises. The highlights were the French onion soup which was rich with a deep beefy flavor and nicely caramelized onions. The smoked meat ravioli which was an innovative, worthy tribute to a Montreal classic. And the venison, expertly prepared and cooked to perfection, it was tender as could be. The steak tartare wasn’t for me and we did find a few hairs in our food which dampened the experience slightly. But overall M.Wells is an excellent restaurant and it’s a shame it is shutting down

Food is fun, often playful, like the Mortadella Mille-Feuille. We had the Huckleberry Rack of Venison, a ravioli dish, filled with smokey meat, the socca with green tahini and za'atar. For dessert sticky toffee pudding, a warm hazelnut cookie with pumpkin ice cream, and the coconut cake.....no, I could eat it all, but wanted to. My maple bourbon old fashion was a perfect cocktail for this feast.

This was the worst dining experience I've had in a long time. The exterior decoration of the restaurant is quite nice, adorned with many plants at the entrance, but everything from ordering to dining to paying was disappointing. Firstly, our server lacked a sense of service, perhaps due to the restaurant's mandatory 20% gratuity policy. He was very sluggish in taking our order and did not proactively refill our water. He also didn’t ask if we had finished our food when clearing our plates, making the entire service feel mechanical and rude. Additionally, the food was bland and overpriced. Compared to similar dishes at French restaurants on Vernon Boulevard in LIC, their steak and seafood were nearly 50% more expensive but significantly inferior in taste. The steak was overcooked and tough to chew, and the butter was bland, failing to enhance the flavor of the meat. The swordfish was dry, and the sauce did not integrate well with the fish, resulting in an overall bland taste that was unappetizing. Lastly, the presentation of the dishes was very ordinary, and the quality of the plates appeared low, not doing any favors to make the food look more appealing. Overall, this restaurant was a disappointment and not worth a special trip. If you are staying in LIC or visiting, there are far better options for French cuisine and other types of food nearby.

AMAZING FOOD, AMAZING STAFF 🔥 ❤️ Came here for a friend's birthday and had a pretty good experience. It was a set menu because of the number of people in our group. The appetizers were yummy but weren't a fan of the wedge salad because I don't like blue cheese, and they can't separate it from the dish, which was a bummer. The main course steak was delicious with a perfect medium rare 😋 for dessert it was apple pie and ice cream, which was a perfect match and great ending. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff were super attentive. The only thing was that we waited quite a while for each dish of food, which made us a little annoyed because we were hungry.

Each dish is a testament to the chef’s creativity and expertise, showcasing bold flavors and unexpected combinations that tantalize the taste buds. From the first bite to the last, every dish is a culinary masterpiece that leaves a lasting impression. But it’s not just the food that shines at M. Wells; the cocktails are equally impressive. Expertly crafted and bursting with flavor, they complement the meal perfectly and add an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. What truly sets M. Wells apart, however, is the impeccable service. From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted with warmth and hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about ensuring that every guest has a memorable dining experience. In summary, M. Wells is more than just a restaurant – it’s a destination. One of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Everyone I go, I struggle to pick my favorite dish of the night because everything is so well made. They’re very aware of dietary restrictions - when I mark gluten free on the reservation the server immediately tells me what on the menu can and can’t be accommodated. It is a seasonal menu and limited but every dish is incredible. The oysters are so fresh and the mignonette has a great balancing flavor. The Wagu steak melted in my mouth. The crab and uni omelette was like tasting the ocean. Excellent service, cocktails, wine choices, and ambiance. A must visit!

Sugar Freak is an Astoria gem that brings the flavors of New Orleans to New York City. Whether you're stopping by for brunch or dinner, this spot offers a tantalizing array of Southern and Creole dishes. Indulge in beignet sliders, buttermilk biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffle Benedict, shrimp Creole, cheese grits, jambalaya, poboys, beer can chicken with sweet potato waffles, and crawfish etouffee.
Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, with a name like “Sugar Freak” it was hard not to. The inside of the restaurant gives you almost a “I’m sailing away” feel, the wood compliments the theme plus the cute but not overly done decor makes it a great spot for pictures. I ordered a shrimp basket, an espresso martini, and my partner tried the chicken basket and a fruity cocktail. We also got a side of the 4 types of cheese Mac and cheese (they have plenty to choose from). Food was delicious, I can definitely compare it to really good home style Louisiana food. If you like kennedys, chicken this spot out. Definitely way better. The drinks? 10/10. Smooth and strong. Fast and respectful service, which I really appreciated. If you’re in Astoria, and need some good seafood, even a little pick me up just to try, check out Sugar Freak! Will definitely be back for a boil. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The food was great! We had chick&waffle and seafood jambalaya, they were both delicious. The staff was very kind and nice, they offer us high chair before we asked. The atmosphere was great and we love the decoration and the design of the store, very well curated! Highly recommend this restaurant and will be back soon! We didn’t make reservation in advance but I think for dinner hour you might need to do so, because it was almost full house during lunch hour in weekend today.
James H — Google review
Came for a very late lunch on a Sunday, presumably after their brunch rush as we could not find a host to confirm our reservation for a few minutes. Once someone showed up, he didn’t ask if we had a reservation and just sat us. Appreciate the efficiency, I guess. Sat for a few minutes again before someone came over to ask if we were ready to order, but I had to ask for a drink menu and we hadn’t even been given glasses of water yet - which another person came to awkwardly serve under our server while she took our order. Husband and I were super excited to see they were still serving their brunch menu at 4pm so we ordered biscuits and gravy and the Sugar Freak breakfast. However when we received our food, we were disappointed to realize the biscuits weren’t the typical homemade style they served in the past but were the refrigerated Pillsbury kind. Other recent reviews show their more homemade style biscuits so it was odd. Kind of seems like someone should say they are out instead of making a less than desired replacement. Gravy was pretty thin and tasteless for both our dishes. We felt our server was a bit inattentive to our drink refills so though we wanted another round of cocktails after we finished eating, we decided to take our business elsewhere. Not sure if everyone was out of it post a busy brunch, as we did see some large parties leaving when we arrived, but the restaurant was not very full during our meal and service could have been better. Still crushed about the biscuits but I’m not a send my meal back kind of diner so maybe I could have complained then and there, just seems they didn’t want anyone to realize the swap. Would likely not go here again during busy hours if this is what is to be expected.

This place is really a league of its own and deserves more than 5 stars. The food here is fantastic and flavorful. This place is awesome! Great food, Freak Cakes are amazing. Bottomless drinks are YUM, and def worth the $22 for 1.5 hours. Must try the Sparkling S.H.I.T.. The Fruit Ambrosia memes in your mouth.

A Southern Seafood place cooking Louisiana Style. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. They played good music. They even have an ATM machine inside by the bathroom. The place was packed, and the food came out quickly. It’s very artistic looking and the bathroom and the old chain flush option. My family shared a few options that was really delicious. Deviled eggs with crab meat on top,Hush Puppies,it’s corn bread that comes with a milk dipping sauce,Seafood Jambalaya. It just had the right spice on it. Crab Cake Benedict and deep fried oysters.

Aliada is a quietly sophisticated Mediterranean eatery that offers an extensive selection of traditional Greek and Cypriot dishes. Situated in Astoria, which exudes a strong Hellenic influence, the restaurant boasts both indoor and outdoor seating options, creating an ideal atmosphere for couples or families.
Aliada has been cranking out delicious food for years. I love the baked lamb with lemon potatoes because the lamb is just perfectly cooked and the potatoes add some starch and acid to the dish that are great. It's also just a nice meal that makes you think of home. Gyro, gyro platter or anything you can put next to the delicious meat will work. The speads up front are great or the shrimp. The Greek sausage is something to try but if you aren't feeling adventurous just stay with the main dishes. There's a full bar and some great Greek wine that you can pair with any dish. Do not pass on this place when you are in Astoria Queens. It's some of the best food around for sure! ***** ( 🔥 🔥 🔥 ) *****

Food was decent. The mix grill dries out pretty quickly so the meat feels like wet cardboard. Service was good but no coffee and no tzatziki which was disappointing. Strong 3/5. Also, keep eye on the default tip selections, they're set to high when you pay by card.

This is one of those reviews where 5 stars isn’t enough. The food here is extraordinary. The staff is so very attentive. And there is a delicious feel of the place. A true joy.

Loved the food! I came here with a reservation and somehow it was not as busy as other days, not my first time coming here, but theres a reason why! This place is very cozy ,a but small, but pretty good for a Mediterranean experience,I had the greek platter as an appetizer and it was delicious, also the chicken! Staff were always welcoming and friendly, hostess that night was also very patient and nice, since I was actually late for our reservation, coming back soon!

All of the servers and waiters were so warm, shout out to Kristian, who made me a wonderful Honey Bee cocktail! The taste was light and fragrant and instantly transported me into the middle of a flower garden. The moussaka was comfy and filling as well--it was my first time having Greek food and I was very impressed!

I decided to give 5⭐️ considering everything. Good food (4ish), great vibes, and nice staff. Luckily, food my friend and I ordered were all delicious than our expectations. In addition, huge portions. 🐟✨The whole fish was slightly pricy but worth a try. The day we went was also the day they just got the fish freshly, which made more sense to order. The smoke and grill smell nailed it with simple seasoning. 🍆✨❤️‍🔥The layered baby eggplant was a heavy one. But the taste was rich with juicy grounded meat inside. The cheese on the top also added additional flavors. Salad was pretty classic, but the add-on portion (we had gyro meat) was a lot! It was a little bit salty but still good. Complimentary pita and hummus was the only thing I have comments. It was kinda bland with the pure chickpea flavor, so did pita bread with flour taste.

Absolutely incredible experience. The food was phenomenal, the service was superb, and the atmosphere was just perfect. I took my fiancé here for her birthday dinner and she loved every minute of it. The portions are great. You must try their octopus, definitely my favorite item on the menu. Some pinot grigio with the swordfish and, grilled calamari...I'm just at a loss for words. Looking forward to coming back here! Top 3 best restaurants in NYC and I'll die on that hill.

Aliada is hands down the best Greek restaurant in Astoria. The ingredients are always fresh, the dishes are generous in size, and the flavors are authentic and delicious. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re in the mood for a casual meal or bringing friends for a night out. I've heard a lot of good things about this place and this was a nice restaurant with a great ambience and great service. It felt like the locals were very fond of this place and the servers were very friendly to all the patrons. I really enjoyed the seafood casserole appetizer. The sauce was amazing, flavors hit all the right spots sweet, tangy, spicy. The other appetizers were decent, nothing to write home about, mostly because the price point was high, around $20. The pizza was shockingly thin, it almost felt like the thickness of a tortilla, again decent but pricey. The entrees left a lot to be desired. I had the a pasta which was so overwhelmingly creamy and lacked any other flavor, to the point it was a chore to eat. But if you're a fan of super creamy and cheesy pasta, you'll enjoy it. I also tried my friend's mushroom pasta which had nice flavor but also felt like a chore to eat because it didn't hit a nice balance of flavors. The cake was very enjoyable and I'd recommend trying it!

7/11/25 had not been here for 4 years and went for a late lunch. The music, atmosphere, vibe, food was good. The meatballs were delicious very soft and tasty. Mussels and, lasagna as well. I usually have orecchiette al fungi in many Italian restaurants but the one I ordered here did not meet my expectations. Raul was an excellent server and very attentive.

I love this restaurant. My son and his wife have been going there for a long time and is there to go restaurant when family and friends are visiting. However today was a total disappointment. We went in for brunch, our food took a very long time. And out of the three meals ordered only one was eaten. My son’s burger did not taste well, his French fries were stale and looked old. He ended up not eating it at all. My daughter in law’s food did not taste well as well and she left it. My potatoes were overly seasoned. A great disappointment.

The bar offers carefully crafted cocktails made with house-made infused alcohols, and the menu features locally sourced comfort food. Happy hour runs on weekdays from 3PM to 7PM, and there's a cozy backyard garden area for enjoying summer afternoons.
Amazing bottomless mimosas and unique, delicious brunch options. I got the eggs Benedict, which had a tasty hollandaise, which was just unique enough to really stand out but still taste classic. Everything is gorgeous and top quality.

Visited Sweet Afton, look a place to have a early dinner. I found the staff polite, engaging, and most friendly. The food was average and the menu was somewhat limited. Adding a few more items in their selection, would greatly improve the menu appeal. The drinks were incredibly, well balanced and expertly crafted. They are said to have live music on Wednesdays, so I am planning on returning to see what offered for the in house performance. All said and done my experience was positive.

I’ve been visiting this place every few months for many years, and I still enjoy it there. However, let me just say this: the food menu and the dishes themselves have significantly declined over the past couple of years. I've given them another chance each time, but the last visit was very disappointing. We ordered four different items, and only one of them was prepared properly and tasted good. Let’s call it a good bar, but not a good gastropub anymore.
Diren C — Google review
Sweet Afton is an Astoria establishment known for its inviting ambiance, great bites and amazing selection of drinks. Service - was amazing the hostess seats you and brings you water right away. The servers took our drink and food orders and in less than 15min everything arrived. Food Burger & Fries - my partner was disappointing in the burger, but I thought it the patty was well seasoned and had an exceptional crust. The burger was a tad bit dry and no sauce. The homemade / cut fries were on point soft and crisp. Chicken & Broccoli Rabe Sausage Roll - just avoid. It’s a hit of a handful to eat. The relish is a great touch and the toasted sesame bun were the highlights. Much rather have tried the chicken sandwich or Philly melt. The sausage roll was under whelming and not worth the $19. Popcorn chicken - batter wasn’t crisp enough and the use of chicken breast made it all to dry. Wouldn’t get again despite the batter being well seasoned, felt myself coming back to the ranch and honey mustard dips far too often. Overall it’s a great place for drinks and a bite.

I had just finished a great meal at New York Bakery Café and decided to stop by Sweet Afton and wow, I’m so glad I did! You can tell the staff really care about what they do friendly, attentive, and fast.

Definite GEM in Astoria. Mature crowd, great cocktail lineup and craft beers along with really good bar bites. Before mentioned is the perfect recipe for a great local establishment. Parking around the area is a bit difficult but nonetheless definitely worth a trip, or two, or three.

So delicious. Super low key place, no frills. Came on a random Tuesday and while the place was somewhat empty, it was super cozy and inviting. Got the grilled octopus and souvlaki chicken plate with fries and salad. Staff was nice too and at the end of the meal we got a tiny piece of cake dessert that would pair well with coffee. Would definitely come back.

Had a 'dinner' of appetizers here with the family. Something for everyone-from the vegan, the vegetarian, to the carnivores. We enjoyed the fava beans dish, loved the liver and sweet reads, and the meatballs. Atmosphere was quiet, and the spot is small, so for a larger group-we we're 5 people, I'd make a reservation. Food came out super fast, and the staff was very friendly. Next time we will try the dishes.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Astoria, District Saigon has quickly become a go-to spot for those craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Since its opening in 2016 by Lam and Michael Lien along with Louis Leung, this eatery has filled a significant gap in the local dining scene. 6/5 rating! Visited and ordered here over a hundred times. Food and service is so good! Food: Everything is great. For apps, their chicken wings / taro fries are 🔥. Can’t help but get them every time. For mains, can’t go wrong with the phos (District Pho, Steak & Brisket, or Meatball are my favorite). Love their Traditional Bahn Mi w/ egg too- order it for takeout a lot. Tried the Shaken Steak and Egg recently and it was great too! So many good options. Service: Consistently good. We’ve never had a problem with attentiveness, refilling waters, getting ahold of someone. The place is spacious but someone’s always walking around. Great decor and interior. It’s spacious but it’s never jam packed. Even during busy meal hours we can always find a seat when dining in. When ordering out or getting delivery, service is super fast too. Love love love District Saigon! My favorite Vietnamese spot in town.

Best Vietnamese I Ever Had! Laughing because it’s the first time I tried Vietnamese cuisine – not sure how I missed this. The atmosphere is just gorgeous, simple and very Zen. I was comfortable immediately and the friendly staff is quite professional. My water glass never went below half way, a dropped napkin was replaced in seconds. The food is amazing – so delicious, well-seasoned and a range of dishes, all new to me. Of course, I wanted to try the pho but it was a hot summer day and didn’t want soup, but they offer a wok tossed pho which was so good. The menu has interesting selections and the variety will please all palates.

High quality food and service! Went here 2x in the past week with my dad. We got the shaking beef for dinner and Thai tea. For lunch, we tried pho and banh mi with Vietnamese coffee. Loved all the items, esp shaking beef. This has become part of our rotation

We enjoyed our date night dinner here. I got the purple rain cocktail to give mezcal another try, but I’m still not a fan (also had to sub an ingredient due to a sensitivity and that didn’t do it any favors). I got the District Pho and my husband got pho with brisket. They were both very good but I’ll try something different next time. If you care about lighting I don’t recommend sitting at the back because the shadows are too strong and lights too focused and bright. Next time we’ll sit toward the middle where the lighting is more consistent and soft and there are colorful, pretty lanterns.

Come here for lunch special which end at 5pm to get Pho and Bhan mi for $15. Amazing price, great service, always a spot up front or back to get a seat. Great spot to eat before you do karaoke or any activity near the area. Also good for a date the Pho is phenomenal.

The vietnamese food here was amazing. My favorite entree was the shaken steak & egg. I also ordered a beef pho soup as a side order for my steak which complemented my meal. If you're in the mood for Turkish cuisine, Memo Shish Kebab is a must-visit. Located in Brooklyn, NY, this laid-back counter-serve cafe offers an array of Middle Eastern dishes including kebabs and gyros. The restaurant prides itself on providing an unforgettable dining experience with tantalizing aromas and a vibrant atmosphere.
If you like a Turkish cuisine you definitely will enjoy simple but always fresh, well seasoned and delicious dishes in this restaurant. My most favorite meal is pita with meat mix. Before your order you will get a warm and delicious homemade bread as a starter which is nice. Pita bread is thin and filled with enough meat and veggies to make you feel full. In addition you will get two kinds of sauce: tomato based and tzatziki. If it is not enough there are other kinds of seasonings on the table for your choice. You can get meat with pita, wrap, home bread or on plate with rice on the side. Good choice and fair pricing. The restaurant also offers variety of desserts. We tried cream caramel and it was fluffy, not too sweet and tasty. Your meal can be complement with authentic soda drinks which is refreshing. And of course I must admit that the service is great.

I went to Memo Shish Kebab late last night, craving a good gyro nearby. Since it’s a Turkish spot, I expected they’d know how to make a proper, flavorful chicken gyro but what I got was basically a dry salad wrap in Turkish Pita. No sauce, no flavor, and they didn’t even ask if I wanted any. If I wanted something that dry and green heavy, I would’ve just ordered a salad instead. The place itself is clean and the seating is fine, but I came for the food and it wasn’t worth the $ .

A Five-Star Feast at Memo Turkish Grill! Memo Turkish Grill and Restaurant has truly mastered the art of Turkish cuisine, earning every bit of this five-star review! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by incredibly friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The restaurant itself is spotlessly clean, creating a welcoming and comfortable dining experience whether you choose to sit in, take out, or have your delicious meal conveniently delivered. What truly sets Memo apart is its large variety of dishes. The menu is a delightful journey through Turkish flavors, offering something for every palate. Every dish we tried was clearly made with fresh ingredients, a commitment to quality that shines through in every bite. The flavors are, for the most part, wonderfully authentic, transporting you straight to the bustling streets of Istanbul. Whether you're craving succulent kebabs, flavorful mezzes, or traditional pides, Memo delivers. The attention to detail, from the perfectly grilled meats to the vibrant salads, is evident. It's rare to find a restaurant that excels in so many areas, but Memo Turkish Grill does just that. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a top-notch Turkish dining experience. We can't wait to go back!

But as soon I take home which 05 kin away from the restaurant and open with surprises that chicken is vary dry box fill with salad alot and less rice rice is as well very dry not fresh and chicken tastes less sucses in very small cup nothing look fresh and not taste so bad and texture as well . I am very unhappy and unfortunately not plan to come back might be there. Neir's Tavern, located in Woodhaven, Queens, has been a beloved establishment since its opening in 1829. Despite being one of the oldest bars in New York City, it remains relatively unknown to many. The tavern gained fame through appearances in popular films like 'Goodfellas' and 'Tower Heist.' Its rich history and authentic atmosphere make it a standout destination.
For as touristy as you would think this place is, I think we were the only tourists there. It seemed like just the local tavern to the neighborhood folks. My fiancée said she enjoyed her margarita here more than at The Campbell at Grand Central. Happy hour deals. Plenty of history. Good service. Fair pricing. Definitely glad I made it out here.

I took my spouse, brother in law and sister in law there for an overdue group date night...we had a great time, great food, great comedy show just a wonderful evening. Place isn't to big but we were sitted comfortably..the patrons and wait staff were fantastic. Due to my own personal beliefs I didn't like all the comedians but overall a great show. My favourite were Aaron, Momjombo ( I'm sorry if I misspelled your name) and the last lady who resides in NJ (my condolences). The comedy host was fantastic and very polite too. Food was delicious. We had pretzels, wings, fries, burgers, sodas, beers and mixed drinks...not super expensive either. I believe this will be our new hangout spot. Although parking is terrible.

“Goodfellas”, being my favorite movie, “as far back as I can remember”, it is sad it took me this many years to take the drive to this local Woodhaven staple. Place is definitely for locals, but felt just as welcomed as a newbie at this bar. My father and I came for a beer and quick bite. Server was friendly, attentive, suggested what food bar was most notorious for (cheeseburger) and served a refreshing IPA. The cheeseburger which I had no expectations of was very flavorful and delicious. Lives up to the bite! The two with a side of Mozzarella sticks ran us a little around $30 which is great considering the history this bar has . Coming from the city, Neir’s is worth the experience, especially if “Goodfellas” is one of your faves and you idolize the OG traveler Anthony Bourdain like myself. Can’t wait to go back next time in Queens!

My all time go to food is Caesar salad so I can only judge that food wise and it was amazing! Paired with their Pinot Grio and French martini. I really enjoyed my solo experience here. I would highly recommend for comfortable, neighborly vibes but I also wouldn’t recommend because I don’t want y’all to make my new spot too popular

The Freakin Rican, located in Astoria, is a vibrant celebration of Puerto Rican cuisine and culture. This restaurant started as a beloved presence at street fairs and has now blossomed into a standalone establishment. The menu features an array of authentic Puerto Rican dishes that have garnered praise for their heartwarming flavors. The cozy tropical-themed setting adds to the dining experience, making it feel like a visit to the island itself.
First time coming here! Food was definitely worth it! Delicious food, excellent service! Highly recommend! I love the coqui sound when you arrive and when you leave. Very flavorful! Will definitely come back again! I empty my plate! That’s how great it is!
Jo R — Google review
If you’re around give it a try. Everything is flavorful, the staff is nice. Update: We returned and I brought my mom. This time, The alcapurria was a little under done. When the masa cooks properly it stiffens up and gets dark due to being cooked. These were still creamy and light inside. The owner made it a point to inform me I was wrong. So I guess every other time I’ve had them they have been wrong. This is still an awesome place to eat. Staff is very welcoming and patient. The food is delicious. The trifongo was really really good. I would recommend. If you’re in the area stop in and hopefully you have a nice experience.

A recommendation that went above the hype. I came to dine here with my parents and they are VERY critical of Puerto Rican food as natives. With each bite of the fritura we tried: alcapurrias, sorrullitos with mayoketchup, and relleno de papa my family and I were immersed back into the pueblos in Puerto Rico. They liked the food so much they said they would come back and that is saying something. Also, when you come in the coqui sounds go off. This place is a must eat at! The pasteles are awarding winning and we think they are good as people who make pasteles every Christmas. The Tripleta tastes better than the ones I have had in PR honestly.

Walking in you immediate hear the coqui and the salsa in the background. Makes you feel right at home. The aromas made me excited for the food. Ordered jugó de parcha, sorullos con mayo ketchup, red snapped dish and the unforgettable tres leches. Best authentic Puertorrican food in the area!

A Taste of Home in NYC: The Freakin Rican Delivers! On our recent visit to NYC from New Hampshire, my daughters and I made it a point to stop at The Freakin Rican—and wow, am I glad we did! From the moment we walked in and heard the cheerful coquí frog chime, we knew we were somewhere special. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with just the right touch of Puerto Rican flair. Now, let’s talk about the food. Every dish felt like a love letter to the island. We tried the mofongo (perfection!), arroz con gandules, pasteles, and plátanos maduros. Each bite tasted just like home—rich, flavorful, and comforting. The pasteles were such a hit that I couldn’t leave without buying a dozen frozen ones to share with family and friends back in New Hampshire. If you’re craving authentic Puerto Rican comfort food in the heart of NYC, The Freakin Rican is a must-visit. We left with full bellies, happy hearts, and plans to come back on our next trip. Highly recommend!

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere sets the tone it's super chill and cozy! The lighting is soft, the music makes me sing and bop and there's a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. Its our 2nd time here and we travel 1hr and a half because the food is absolutely bursting with flavor. Every dish offers a delicious variety of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine — from tender pernil to perfectly seasoned arroz con gandules and trifongo each bite delivers comfort and tradition. You can tell a lot of care goes into every plate and everyone is friendly and efficient. This spot is a hidden gem for anyone craving bold flavors in a laid-back setting. Highly recommend for any type of night.

Mediterranean restaurant
Nisi Estiatorio is a charming culinary haven that transports you straight to the sun-kissed shores of Greece. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for indulging in delightful Mediterranean flavors. The grilled octopus stands out with its tender texture and smoky char, complemented by a zesty lemon dressing that tantalizes your taste buds.
Very cozy place. Atmosphere is filled with lots of daylight yet quaint, thanks to the uniquely triangular layout of the building. Excellent food. Had the octopus app and the dorado special for the main. Lemon potatoes glazed in a brown mustard butter were amazing. Desert, not too heavy, not overpowering sweet. Service was top notch. Music was nicely paired with the Greek theme, upbeat, jazzy, contemporary - not too loud. Very kid friendly. Highly recommended place.

First time here with a few friends for dinner and drinks, the food was excellent everything was on point, the chef came out an introduced himself to us and explained to us all about the way the cooking is done. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a delicious Greek meal and don’t forget their desserts which were so tasty.

My first time in a Greek place and I can’t stop thinking in this amazing food… I felt in love with the salad, the meat, the drinks… Everything was prefect, even the prices, the place was clean and beautiful for a date. Just one thing, the waiter wasn’t nice, we asked him for a recommendation for dessert and he didn’t show interest in gave us one, no polite but we didn’t take personal. I’ll be back hopefully soon tho :)
Valentina. — Google review
2025 Update: Still love it here. Do yourself a favor by going for a restaurant week lunch. Fish of the day was absolutely delicious, and dessert was very cute too (some sort of chocolate cookie over some strawberry sauce). I love that they also have pretty healthy options, and I felt like I could have a high protein low carb meal. They offered complimentary bread, which along with dessert is enough carbs for me 😁 As for drinks, I barely ever drink alcohol anymore, but the NA Peroni did the job, especially on a hot Summer day. If I had alcohol, I would totally go for their happy hour 4pm-7pm. The only time I haven’t had a great experience here was on Valentine’s like 2 years ago, but I rarely ever love my Valentine’s dinners anyway, especially when there’s a set menu. Other than that, service is usually great, and this is still one of my faves in the area. Original Review: This is my new favorite Greek restaurant and hopefully continues to be. It not only is cute looking, but the food, drinks, and service are wonderful. Both times my partner and I visited, we have brought different guests from out of town and they loved it. We recently went for restaurant week with his parents and it was totally worth it. From the time we entered, we loved how warm it was in such a cold day (they had extra heaters inside), and then the music gave it such an ambiance that I felt like we were in some Greek island. This, along with a delicious Nisi Mule cocktail was the perfect start. Our server Dimitra was very nice and welcoming, and so was the manager. Dinner started with some complementary bread that was warm, and olive oil/balsamic on the side. Tzatziki & Tirokafteri spreads - super good! 😋 - my favorite tzatziki is usually the one from BZ Grill, so I’m used to good stuff, and this one did not disappoint, but I was more in love with the tirokafteri (spicy feta dip) Nisi Salad - delicious! We all shared this, even though we knew we probably ordered more food than we needed but no regrets there. The figs in the salad are such a great touch. Spanakopita - I never had it the way they serve it before (with yogurt) but I usually get this at a bakery. It was sooo good this way! Just try it. Saganaki - I’m pretty sure we also got this the first time. Everyone liked it just like everything else. Fish of the day - opted for branzino, and honestly, I have never had a bad one anywhere (it’s kind of hard to mess up), but I will say that my partner who had ordered the lamb chops was jealous of my dish lol I didn’t want to eat too heavy and that was perfect Paidakia (lamb chops) - very tasty, ordered it medium, really well prepared, but I’m a fish person. My partner is a steak person and was still more in love with the fish. Astakomakaronada (lobster linguini) - surprisingly generous portion, tasty, and made for a perfect lunch when I reheated the leftovers next day (somebody else in our party ordered but I got to enjoy the leftovers and I didn’t have to take a flight) Mosharisia Mprizola (rib-eye) - perfectly cooked, nice grilled flavor, would totally havr this again when craving steak Dessert - we all got baklava to go and even though it was softer than what I’m used to, it was one of the most delicious I have had around, and it made me want to go back next day just for dessert It was Monday night when we dined in, so I’m not sure if this is the usual experience, but already have reservations for a popular time and will see how it goes. Yum!

I’ve been living in Astoria for so long, and I honestly can’t believe I hadn’t discovered this place sooner. It truly feels like a hidden gem to me. Konstantinos took such great care of us, and the whole staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Every dish I tried was outstanding—so well-balanced and absolutely delicious. The whole vibe was relaxed and chill. Complimentary galaktabouruko was better than everything Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Franky's Souvlaki is a popular eatery in Astoria, known for its delicious grilled souvlaki and Greek platters. The high-quality meat options including beef, pork, chicken, lamb, and shrimp are generously portioned in their gyros and sandwiches. The enticing aroma of freshly cooked meat often draws spontaneous visits from passersby. It is considered a must-visit destination for souvlaki in New York City.
I’ve been here multiple times and the food has been excellent every time. There’s a Greek truck much closer to where I live, but I choose to walk the extra 15 min just to come here. The last item I ordered was a Greek salad with chicken and it was amazing

Hadn’t been here in about a year before going today with my brother. Got pork, sausage, and shrimp skewers. It was delicious but a couple issues: 1. Too much bbq sauce and 2. The shrimp skewers were a little bit scant for the price. Still, great to go back!!! And I will come back again.

We actually had gyro sandwiches at their lunch truck in Astoria years ago. Today after a museum visit I was pleasantly surprised to see the truck at Lexington and 87th. I decided to give my son a little treat so I ordered a $10 chicken gyro pita sandwich. It wasn’t busy so the guy took a while prepping and at the same time exchanged some pleasantries in the process. So far so good. In the end it was time to pay for the food. I asked if he takes credit card, he said yeah. He took my card, swiped it, gave it back to me, and said you’re all set. I was a bit taken aback because I didn’t see the amount charged nor the opportunity to sign or specify tips. But I wasn’t assertive enough to ask. A few days later I saw my credit card statement and found out I was charged $13.50 - a 35% premium! I thought that was outrageous. If the surcharge is this much he should have warned me and there should be a sign posted somewhere on the truck. I thought that was sneaky and dishonest.
David H — Google review
I’m sorry to say this I’ve been coming to Frankie‘s for over 10 years maybe longer the food quality has gone down the tubes. Their meat is tough full of fat and I’m not sure if that’s really lamb and not goat since expanding with multiple trucks, you would think they’re making money and the quality would be better than it was but like all things Frankies is no longer what it used to be. Sorry to say they’re more hungry than anything if you ask me, king of soulvaki on Morris and Steinway is a way better choice if you’re looking for this type of food the one on 31st and 31st is better Frankie in peace. I will never eat your truck again. You lost a long time customer because of cutting corners and lacking to serve me and my family with a smile and fresh food waste of money eat with caution
Steven — Google review
This truck is an absolute rip off. If you’re not paying cash they charge 1$ more per item for using CC plus a 4% fee. Food is decent but in a world where very few carry cash to be as predatory as this business model is absolutely appalling. Will never return even though the foods decent plenty of other option especially in close proximity.

Nice place to eat and the food was good but I was overcharged. Came out to alot and the tax I was charged on top of that didn't help. Food was good and my family enjoyed it, so I'm happy about that.

One of great place for dinning, pickup and delivery. I and all my friends order at this place and they never disappoint us. Management super friendly. Enthusiastic staff strive to provide a great service.. I ordered Hydrabadi Goat Dum Biryani- as suggested, and had a true Dum Biryani experience, surprisingly it was served with generous amount of pieces - it's a lot. If you are looking for authentic Biryani, this is the place to go. Locationwise, It's little bit off the main street, but they surely made it up with the food quality, taste and service. The other items we tried were, Spring Dosa and Gulab Jamoon. All were Awesome. A place where you see table cloths and cloth napkins - a rarity in that area. Also, this place is open very late. What a terrible place to order in. I ordered Bawarchi boneless biryani and I have a bad stomach rn. The chicken didn’t feel fresh, it seemed like it was gone bad. Why on earth would you do that to your customers? This is a terrible place to consider for dinner!!! UberEats has degraded their service too, the drink/sauce was spilled and the biryani was half eaten. It was a terrible experience overall!!!

Bar & grill
Restaurant
Rolo’s is a laid-back establishment in Ridgewood, known for its cocktail bar and wood-fired grill. The restaurant was opened during the pandemic by four former Gramercy Tavern employees and has since evolved into a cozy yet ambitious spot with a strong focus on quality ingredients. The menu offers elevated American cuisine cooked over wood fire, complemented by an impressive selection of classic cocktails and natural wines.
For the first time , it was amazing. However, usually, when it's dinner time, I expect it to be a bit more calming and quiet. But overall, great things were done the food. The service was top tier, making sure that everyone got their meal at the same time. So a lot of good work was put into it. It is worth bringing a loved one and a family to enjoy. Now, there can be some areas of improvement. The peach dessert could have been in a wider vessel with a smaller spoon because I brought a friend who was blind trying to get the dessert from the cup, and the pepper from the burger special could be chopped than leaving it whole.

The house dry-aged steak was really good, like one of the top five steaks I have had. Side dishes were a bit too salty for me, especially the greens. Calabrian chili butter polenta bread was also delicious. Strawberry almond tart was just okay. Service was excellent. Casual ambiance. I would go back.

Made reservations walked in and was pleasantly surprised..this is a busy establishment reservations are recommended..Natalie who was our waitress was an absolute doll. So informative with a wealth of knowledge about the food. The food hands down was a ten out of ten. We ordered the crispy potatoes for the table, yum and yum. A second order was made immediately don't judge. I ordered the eggs with the polenta bread sooo good.my friend ordered the French toast which was to die for..need I say more. The food is very filling and so very delicious.

The bread here is really chewy, nutty, and full of flavor! I highly recommend the different kinds of bread. The pasta and lasagna were also very tasty—the pasta itself was excellent, and the menu was unique yet delicious! If you’re in Brooklyn, you should definitely visit. I recommend it. The atmosphere is great too!

Charming ambiance and good place for group dinner. This place is super famous for the 2 sheet lasagna but personally I was not a fan, instead I found the ricotta cavatelli pasta to be the star on the menu — also loved the almond tart (aromatic and nicely presented). Skip the skirt steak (prime cut is better) and polenta bread with calabrion chili (take sesame & wild oregano instead). Very kind staff: Hunter was exceptional with service and made us feel very welcome !

My first time here, I got the burger after hearing the hype. The waiter made it a point to mention that it was still available (because they’ll run out later in the day) and asked if we wanted to reserve one. I was thinking it would be the best thing on the menu but it really was just okay. I’m glad I tried it, but I kind of regretted getting it. It also made me suspicious of all the other things on the menu that I didn’t get to try. I went back recently to give some other things a try and I’m really really happy I did. Everything hit this time. The polenta bread, the lasagna, the leafy green salad, and maggie’s little pumpkin. I’d give them all 5 Stars. If you save room for dessert, get the brown butter apple tart. You won’t regret it. In terms of service and atmosphere, they were great both times. Super friendly and very ridgewood, so you can come and expect to feel at home.

The salad was inedible due to the amount of salt in it. The polenta bread was good, but again over salted. The better were oversalted as well. The malfadine pasta was correctly salted. The service at the bar was good as were the well drinks.

Why was there a tamale inside my enchiladas, this is not authentic Mexican food . So if you are looking for that don’t come here . Food was okay , seems like they combined masa with chicken and stuffed it inside the tortillas for the enchiladas. I’ve never seen such a thing . The salsa on top was like a mayo sauce and not actual salsa . It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t what I expected. AND 23$ for three small tacos is crazy . Other than that friendly staff and nice place :) .

Fun spot with great decor and likely a fun vibe when busy (we were there midday). Wings were good. Have never had Mexican shrimp cocktail before so it might have been my expectation but the seafood was a little mealy and I didn’t care for the dish. Barbacoa tacos were good. On the verge of over salted but the jalapeños provided a nice balance. Burger was good. The rating is mostly because of the shrimp cocktail which I really didn’t care for. Everything else was good and I would return.

Chito Gvrito is a delightful casual eatery that showcases the vibrant flavors of modern Georgian cuisine, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts. With a menu crafted from locally sourced ingredients, diners can indulge in seasonal dishes that reflect the rich culinary traditions of Georgia. Signature offerings include Imeruli Khachapuri, a delectable cheese-filled flatbread, and savory Georgian shakshuka.
I had a lovely late afternoon meal at Chito Gvrito, and it was a true taste of Georgia right in the heart of Manhattan. I sat by the window, which made for a cozy and relaxed setting. The meat mixed grill was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the soup dumplings were comforting with a rich, savory broth. I also loved the aubergine rolls—light, fresh, and beautifully presented. And of course, I couldn’t resist the cheese bread (the name escapes me), but it was warm, indulgent, and absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and warm, and the decor added a charming, inviting touch to the whole experience. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

We went there on a date night. Started with drinks - Georgian old fashioned which was good, and a Smokey lemon drop, just average. Food was average, too salty for my taste. We ordered a mushroom khinkali, which was the best dish of the night. The veg kachapuri was too salty and tasted just like a cheese pizza. Chicken tabaka was average. The almond cake was good, could taste the brandy.

This was our first time trying Georgian cuisine in NYC, and it completely exceeded our expectations! Everything was delicious — my husband had the Steak Mtsvadi Skewer with Potatoes & Mushrooms, and I ordered the Chicken Mtsvadi Skewer and Aubergine Rolls. For dessert, both the Ideali Cake and Strained Yogurt & Gozinaki were heavenly. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the service was friendly and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend this place!

First time diving into Georgian food, and Chito Gvrito set the bar dangerously high. I came in clueless, left wondering why nobody told me sooner that melted cheese bread boats exist. Khachapuri is basically pizza’s fun cousin who studied abroad and came back cooler. The dumplings? Massive. Like someone took “bite-sized” as a personal insult. Juicy, flavorful, and the kind of thing you need a tutorial for so you don’t wear the broth. Bottom line: I showed up a rookie, left a convert. Georgian food is a party, and Chito Gvrito just handed me the invite.

It was my first time visiting Chito Gvrito, and it's easily the BEST Georgian food in NYC! Located in Gramercy, this cozy spot has authentic Georgian cuisine. Everything I ate was delicious, flavorful. I highly recommend the espresso martini (so refreshing!), khachapuri, Georgian salad, the spinach dumplings. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. If you are in Manhattan around Union Square then you must try Chito Gvrito.
Diane — Google review
Chito Gvrito is a hidden gem in Gramercy, delivering authentic Georgian flavors with a modern touch. The khachapuri is a showstopper—gooey, buttery, and absolutely irresistible—while khinkali dumplings and garlicky chicken Tabaka bring bold, comforting flavors to the table. What truly sets this place apart is the curated Georgian wine selection, especially the amber wines that pair beautifully with every dish. We tried so many different plates I can’t even name them all, but every single one was amazing—and I’ll definitely be coming back. The staff is warm and knowledgeable, the vibe is cozy yet stylish, and every bite feels like a journey through Georgia. Perfect for wine lovers and adventurous foodies alike!

Greek restaurant
Zenon Taverna is a charming restaurant that offers classic Greek and Cypriot cuisines in a cozy setting. Located on the less-frequented 31st Avenue, this family-owned taverna features hand-painted murals depicting seaside scenes, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu boasts an array of traditional dishes, including daily specials and meze options such as halloumi, octopus, sheftalia (pork meatballs), and kleftico (spring lamb).
The best Greek Food I’ve tried in NYC so far! Because of the pandemic, all my international travel plans are scrapped. And one of those dream destinations was Greece. I’ve always love Mediterranean food, and Zenon Taverna helped me filled that void. Located in Astoria, Queens - Zenon Taverna offers classic Greek food with a homey ambience. They have both outdoor and indoor seating to satisfy your needs. I started my Greek food journey with their mixed salad, add the feta cheese and you won’t be disappointed. Paired up with the fresh, soft and warm pita bread and you’re you have whet your appetite. I ordered the mix grill, a combination of lamb, octopus, pork, different sausages and halumi cheese. This is one of the best mixed plates I ever had. I chose the potatoes as my side order and it was a match made in heaven. Finish your meal with their baklava! Its soft, pillowy, sweet and crunchy. Its the perfect way to end your greek food experience. Aside from their extensive menu, they also have great customer service. That day, they have only two servers, but they ran the whole restaurant smoothly.

Great place. We picked the "set menu" (around $27 per person) that came with a variety of appetizers and bread in the beginning, followed by different sorts of Cypriot meat dishes. Honestly, the decor, the food quality and friendly stuff made our trip a great experience.
Jalish R — Google review
Great family oriented place, you feel like you're dining with a real Greek family. I was told to have their grilled halumi and I'm so happy I do, it was perfection. I also ordered their grilled octopus and it was so flavorful and fresh. The pita they served was really fresh as well.

Get the grilled octopodi, spanakopita, stuffed grape leaves, and sheftalia. Looks like the outdoor seating area is closed for the season. Service is excellent. Looking forward to coming back!
Clarice L — Google review
The food and service were incredible. The lamb chop was juicy and perfectly cooked. Our waiter was so nice, he even gave us some extra pita to-go for our leftover dips!

Had been in the neighborhood for years but it's my first time dining at Zenon Taverna. Delicious Greek(Cyprus) cuisine. The menu looks enticing enough that my wife and I decided to try out a little bit of everything on the menu. Thank goodness they have that option, yet the Cyprus Meze meal. Everything was DELICIOUS. Will definitely come back to try out their seafood options.
Shun Y — Google review
The food is amazing! The seating us cozy yet still personal. They're portions are very generous. CASH ONLY! So bring a good amount. They are a bit pricey, but the quality is worth every metal cent. Their home made ice cream is next level flavorful.

Ordered mix grill. Lamb undercooked. Octopus had an off flavor- not fresh. Left restaurant completely disappointed with the food. Service was acceptable.

Tibetan restaurant

Lunch restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant streets of New York City, Lhasa is a culinary treasure that invites you to explore the rich flavors of Tibetan cuisine. With its roots tracing back to Jackson Heights, this restaurant has blossomed into a beloved spot known for its mouthwatering momos—both meat and vegetable options are available. The menu also features delightful noodle dishes like thenthuk, which boasts hand-ripped noodles and generous portions of beef.
Delicious food, reasonable prices, amazing friendly service, and chill lowkey laid back vibes in the atmosphere. Ordered veg thenthuk, shoko phingsha (hearty and spicy), chicken momo, and butter milk tea (salty and savory, divine). 10/10 as always
Annika W — Google review
I got curious about Tibetan cuisine so tried it out. -Butter milk tea was pretty interesting cause it felt something like mild beef soup made out of bones, but with a hint of butter scent in it. Can’t really say I enjoyed it cause it was too new thing to me but it was interesting experience, so no regret for trying. -Noodle soup was unfortunately not that good. Soup was too mild with just little flavor for my palate, veggies in there felt too raw for what’s in soup noodle, and noodle’s texture was dissappointing. Pic in the menu suggests it’s red(spicy) but in reality it’s not. -Dumplings were pretty good, although the style of it wan’t really new to me. Dumpling dough was the version that was made out of potato, so it’s bit more transparent/sticky/chewy than usual ones.
J K — Google review
Simple and good food. A still rare cuisine in NYC done well and definitely worth trying even if it may not blow many minds. The chicken thentuk (flat noodles) were super tasty. The "sushi" dough roll appetizer was a simple but fun starter. The momos were very juicy and flavorful. The spicy sauce is a treat, if you can handle the heat. The waiter was not paying much attention.
Javier K — Google review
We stopped by the restaurant due to the wooden decor. The milk tea was grassy and not sweet, which is always welcome. The tingmo/ bread and momo/ dumplings were fairly standard. The shabhaley was quite crisp and well seasoned. The chili was a tad bit spicy, but a bit tough. The noodle soup were mild spice and easy to consume

Great food! the picture doesn’t do it justice! this soup reminded me of a home-cooked meal in the best way! 10/10

The food was perfect and light. Felt very authentic. The sushi was right amount of spice. The chicken momo was delicious and thenthuk broth was soooo rich and comforting.
Nidhi S — Google review
Really enjoyed trying Tibetan food. This place is super chill and we just popped in without reservation to try something new. Their butter tea was like nothing I’ve ever tried! The food is a bit on the spicy side, so let the waiter know if that will be an issue for you and he will offer modifications. Overall, I recommend this place for a casual night out when you want to be adventurous with your food

Had a great experience at Lhasa! As soon as you walk in you’re greeted by a cozy and nicely decorated space along with a polite staff. Their menu is simple yet expansive with plenty of protein options like chicken, beef, pork, and vegetables in a variety of ways like momos, noodles, and rice. Just a heads up though, **ONLY THE CHICKEN OPTIONS ARE HALAL** Regardless, the food was hearty and full of flavor. The momos is a classic must try and the Mokthuk is absolutely perfect for a chilly day. Would love to see their menu expand their halal options, but nonetheless wonderful food and great vibes overall. Definitely will return!

Indian cuisine. Really great atmosphere. Great management. Great food. Food was so good, I could barely take pictures to post them here. The restaurant has lots of space, and a bar. Nice place to visit day or night. And even has an outdoor seating area in the back. Will definitely come back soon.

I visited on Sunday evening for dinner. They only had 2 or 3 tables filled. It took them a while to get us seated and take our order. I really liked the lamb Rogan josh. The lamp was very tender and generous portion although I wish they had more curry to go along. Garlic naan was flavorful and soft. Chicken Korma was good as well.

Really TERRIBLE service. Waiting over 1 hour for main course that never arrived on a not so busy Sunday evening. Had the appetizer. The Aloo Tikki was bland. The Amristsari fish was good. Asked for the drink menu. Got it, then no one came for 25 mins to ask what we wanted off the menus. Walked out and went to another place. This place shall go out of business. STAY AWAY !!

So disgusting, look that's how I was sent a daal when ordered via an app, half eaten and dirty! When called the place, the two men were rude, no apology whatsoever!! The paper bag, was stapled, so it wasn't the courier, and daal not only looked half eaten, dirty and it smelled bad as well!!

Modern and hip Indian food with flavors and presentation that will blow you away. This place is special and I encourage you to go there. They have a really good chefs tasting menu as well for around $60. I would recommend the tasting menu only during the week when they are less busy as it can take a while when the restaurant is full. Everything is cooked to order.

The food here was amazing. The little bite of heaven they give you as a complimentary appetizer is a burst of all the best flavors Indian food has to offer. They call it a sample of Indian street food - if that is the case I'm moving to this street so I can eat them all the time! Enjoy!

Between the unique, tasty and creative menu, the amazing flavorful drinks and the beautiful venue I would say this place equals the perfect place in Astoria!

Nestled in the charming neighborhood of Woodside, Casa Del Chef Bistro is a delightful bistro that showcases New American cuisine with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. This cozy eatery features warm wooden floors and an inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for food lovers seeking quality dining experiences. The talented head chef has earned accolades as one of Queens' top culinary talents, ensuring that each dish is crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
It’s a hidden gem in Astoria. If you’re looking for decent foods. This is the place. We order 1 of the tasting menu, they change this tasting menu depending on season and catch of the day. Tasting menu is $49/person and it comes with 2 courses and a dessert. I like the Brussels Sprout, very refreshing, light, a great kick off for appetizers. Atmosphere is nice, low noise, classical music, great service. I would revisit when I’m in the area.

We were looking for restaurants featured in the Michelin guide located in Queens and decided to try this one for my birthday. It's a small place but warm and inviting. It feels very intimate and the waitress was so attentive. The food was phenomenal. Every bite was delicious. I highly recommend it.
Krystle V — Google review
Very nice restaurant with great service and delicious food. Seafood paella was my favorite followed by mascarpone dessert. I took one star off because the restaurant was a bit too loud and the space was a bit too casual for my taste. The cocktails were good but I tried better ones and with a nicer presentation. Vegetarian options were somewhat limited.
Ukiyo — Google review
Cozy place in Woodside. A real 💎. The menu is limited but well worth it. The Chef pays attention to every detail on every dish served. The Mackerel w/sprouts was 😋. The Short Rib was enhanced by a bed of White Beans and Brussel Sprouts. The dessert was a creamy Panna Cotta made with yogurt and grapes on the side. It's well worth the price. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service being offered.
Vivianne B — Google review
Cozy ambiance and great food. The whole experience was satisfying: the flavors are fresh, the staff is attentive, the prices suit the quality and quantity of the food. The menu is short, but it provides plenty of variety for composing a interesting meal, including some vegetarian options.

Delicious food. Small but flavorful portions with great attention to detail. It is a small space but cozy, homey, fun. We let our waiter suggest a few dishes for us (and drinks) and it was really all superb. Vegetarian options are very limited, though. The Chef of this restaurant must be highly skilled. Truly, you will understand why it’s called a Chef’s “house”. Loved it all to the last spoon.

VELMA’S IS GRRREAT. Pasta is perfectly Al dente and the Velma salad is PERFECTION. I’m a sucker for a good vinaigrette and the lemon vinaigrette here is so refreshing and has this super lemony goodness. Love love love it here. Will be back, highly recommend!

Walked in with a friend on Friday night for dinner. It was busy but they were able to seat us quickly. Beautiful space. A lot of thought and intentionality was put into the flow of the space, with different types of seating and an “m” shaped bar which is a welcome alternative that allows the flow of people to be uninterrupted when people gather, and gives good visual space markers between the bar area and table area. Decor is cute, and with old italian style red checkered table clothes with paper on tol, lots of deep greens and great use of texture in the space. Behind the bar is reminiscent of scorpion records but organized, with old license plates, trucker hats and electicisms. Good wine list, and drinks are appropriately priced for the neighborhood. My friend and I ordered meatballs, the velma salad, and the vodka lumache. Meatballs were excellent, exactly what we were looking for- great texture, excellent slightly spicy and appropriately salted meat, and classic red sauce that makes you want to lick the dish. Bread with meatballs was perfect for the dish. The velma salad was ok- it could have been either better dressed or just salted before tossing for better flavor. The spicy vodka lumache was good- but not a pasta I would order again. It wasn’t particularly spicy nor did it have the creamy classic vodka sauce taste. Still, the flavor was good, just not what we expected. Pasta was cooked perfectly al-dente. I would definitely order the meatballs again. Overall, great atmosphere and good experience. Will be back to try their other offerings
Elizabeth L — Google review
Very sad to say that this place has seen better days. I will never be ordering from here again the food was not only lackluster in flavor but quality as well. I’ve eaten from here before, twice and both takeout, I don’t know what happened but the spicy vodka pasta which has been delicious in the past was hard and inconsistent in texture while lacking flavor it also tasted old. The mussels, which I was most excited about, were so spicy that I could not even bare to take more than three bites. I am no stranger to spice I love it on and in everything but this felt like the kind of spice you spill everywhere to compensate for an overall bad sauce. I actually had to try and add tomato purée to quell the spice so that I could taste the sauce even for a second but that did absolutely nothing. The pasta for this dish was 4 dollars extra and I even asked twice if they had it down but they still gave me the wrong pasta which was annoying but fine until I tasted the dish and realized it was inedible and also had a weird aftertaste once the spice subsided. The calamari was fine but rubbery and didn’t really carry much to it, I would buy this from a more modest place for half the price and would probably be more satisfied to be completely honest. When I called back to let them know that at the very least they got my order wrong the phone would not pick up and the voicemail was full. It felt like an utter scam tbh and for 60 dollars this was not worth my money and really was disappointing.

Nothing special. Average food. Average drinks. Nothing to rave about . Completely over priced. Decor is nice. Staff is cool. …. Super mediocre. Many more spots locally that you can go, spend the same amount and have a better meal / experience. Glad I was able to check them out, but wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. For the price you’re paying you’re expecting something above average, guess my expectations weren’t met.

Velma was named as one of the best bars & restaurants in NYC this year. We visited last weekend since we heard about their Sunday Special and we love limited offers. We are not fans of alcohol but Velma is signature as a bar so we gave it a try. Tom Collins used Gin as base & Mai Tai used Rum and both cocktails were refreshing and tasty. We got their Shrimp Oreganata, Spicy Vodka Lumache, Velma’s Juicy Chicken and Sunday Sauce. Sunday Sauce was their Sunday Special Menu and it was extremely satisfying with its portion. However our favorite was the Lumache since the sauce was appetizing and flavorful.

I ordered a marguerita pizza from them with Grubhub and it arrived looking like this. It smelled wonderful which was the only reason I gave it 2 stars. I tried to eat it anyway except the cheese had hardened along the corner of the pizza box so I could not even "comb" it back over the pizza. For the price I paid I expected more. I emailed the owner and never heard anything back either. It was my first time ordering and may be the last.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! Good portions for the price. And the Caesar salad was the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend the sweet and spicy pizza!

Absolutely the BEST Italian cuisine I've had - PERIOD! Thin crust pizza holds its form (the magic is in the dough) while topped with only the freshest of ingredients. Sampling of meats and cheeses still resonate on my palate. We ordered four entrees to share family style and couldn't pick a favorite. After an evening of gluttony, and an oncoming but welcome food coma - we just couldn't resist ordering dessert. Impossible to select a favorite during any course throughout the night, it only made sense to order several desserts - we challenged ourselves once again to choose one that was better than another... and I haven't even started on the wine. A return stop each time I travel to the area, a must eat for visitors, a foodie's paradise and a gem for locals! As we say in Charleston, the food is so good, it'll make you wanna "Slap yo mama"!

Just had the best calzone. Superb crispy dough, succulent cheese. It traveled very well, and was ready in less time than it took to have a beer at the counter. Quick enough for a lunch during work hours. Who knew this place was even here?! It's a bit out of the way and isolated from the rest of LIC, but we'll worth a trip. If I had brought it bike lock I would have eaten in (or out back). Nicely appointed, bright from large front windows all afternoon. It's on my list, and am recommending to others for bike food tours.

Heard about this place from an Instagram foodie and it was worth the effort to get to. Tucked away in a residential neighborhood near the expressway, this place has a charming interior or chill backyard to enjoy some pizza and dessert. The Smokey & The Bandit pizza had subtle smoked flavor in the buffalo mozzarella cheese and bacon. Make sure to order the homemade cheesecake…its lighter than most. And the service was exceptional. Very personalized and attentive and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. Best part, you can bring your fur friends. She was treated as a welcome guest.

People talk about hidden gems, but few places are as hidden, or as much a gem, as this. A welcoming neighborhood restaurant with no neighborhood around it. It is located on a side street in an almost entirely industrial area, and it's worth looking for. I had a pizza that was as good as any I've ever had and a homemade biscotti that's better than any I've ever had. Stellar service -- friendly and efficient. Everybody in there, from regulars to newbies to the staff, all seemed to really enjoy being there, and so did I. Just superb.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience, look no further than Cafe Rakka. This charming spot serves up incredibly fresh and mouthwatering dishes that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy. The gyro sandwich is a must-try, but it's the array of sides that truly steals the show—think incredible baba ghanoush, hearty beans, and fluffy couscous served alongside crisp salads and warm pitas. All this deliciousness comes at an unbeatable price!
Very fresh and delicious! Both the gyro sandwich and fixing were great but the real winner was the variety of sides! The babagahush was incredible. The beans, couscous, and baba all came with salad and two pitas too! That entire order w the sandwich was only $13! Amazing deal and the portions are great.
