Bakery
Levain Bakery, located in the Upper West Side of New York City, is a beloved neighborhood spot known for its freshly baked goods. The bakery offers a variety of rustic breads and is particularly famous for its six-ounce chocolate chip walnut cookie. Baked on-site daily using high-quality natural ingredients, the cookies are described as "absolute units" and are larger than those found at other bakeries.
Quite large, upper price range, gourmet cookies that are served warm. They’re more of a special occasion treat, or a gift for others, than a regular occurrence. When you order online, you still need to wait in line, so there’s really not much time savings.
Matt B — Google review
Absolutely amazing cookies! This bakery offers an incredible variety of flavors, each one more tempting than the last. You can really taste the artisanal quality — every bite feels handcrafted with care and passion. The texture, flavor, and freshness are just perfect. These aren’t your average cookies — they’re truly one of a kind. If you love cookies (or even if you don’t… yet), you need to try this place. It's a cookie lover’s paradise!
Pietro A — Google review
Levain Bakery is a must-visit in NYC! 🍪✨ The cookies are huge, warm, and absolutely delicious — crispy outside, gooey inside. Friendly service and cozy vibe. Worth every bite (and the wait)! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Aviel A — Google review
Really good!! So decadent and satisfying. I heard the chocolate chip walnut cookie is the thing to get and it did not disappoint.
Vivian N — Google review
I was honnetly a bit let down by Levains. I just felt the cookies were not balanced in flavor and not a texture I enjoy. The magnolia was doughy, not goey, and didnt have much of a savory note and the oatmeal was the same but even drier and didnt have much oatmeal in it.
Josh — Google review
I got one chocolate chip walnut cookie and one s’mores cookie. Both were really good, and seemed like they were baked recently. I also got a cold brew coffee which was very acidic. This made it hard to drink, I ended up throwing it out.
Cassandra M — Google review
This is a clean, spacious and welcoming bakery, which boasts terrific products. Despite its elegance, it simultaneously offers a down-to-earth feel. My friend and I dropped by there a couple of months ago, in the AM hours...it was about 9 AM on a Sunday. And I'm sorry that I didn't get the name of the young lady at the front who served us, as she was very sweet and professional. Yet with that said, the main takeaway here is not actually their ambiance, vibes or even lovely staff members. The main takeaway, Cookie Monster, is their SWEETS!! LOL They make and sell absolutely wonderful, and I mean *wonderful* cookies. : ) Sure, they are pricey, but treats like this should not come cheap. Because, from my limited lived experience (yet speaking as someone with a true "sweet tooth"), they're the best in town. These decadent cookies melt in your mouth. And, from what I can taste, no amount of butter is spared in making them. They are 100% goodness, with goodness being an understatement! So, the next time you walk by a Levain Bakery and you need a gift -- for yourself or someone else! -- don't hesitate to buy the best for the best. A tin of their cookies makes for both an aesthetically pleasing and tummy~satisfying gift. Enjoy! In Cookie Heaven, Kat

Delicious cookies! Big, soft and full of flavor. Prices are great and the place is very pretty. I ordered four cookies, three dark chocolate chip cookies and one adding peanut butter. They were awesome, my family and me loved them! The location is really good, and the staff was nice. They have a variety of options to choose. A must go! Keep it up. ☺️

Magnolia Bakery is a beloved bakeshop that gained fame after its cupcakes appeared on 'Sex and the City.' Known for its classic American baked goods, this cozy West Village spot offers an inviting atmosphere with vintage decor. The menu features a wide array of handmade treats, from cakes and cupcakes to cookies, bars, and seasonal pies. However, the real star is the decadent banana pudding made with layers of vanilla wafers, bananas, and vanilla pudding.
Visiting the original Magnolia Bakery at 401 Bleecker Street in the West Village is a great experience. The shop has a charming vibe with vintage decor and a cozy atmosphere. Their cupcakes are tasty, but the star is definitely the banana pudding. It’s smooth, rich, and absolutely delicious. They also offer a peanut banana pudding, though it’s not as impressive. Staff were super friendly. Expect long queues, especially on weekends. Parking is nearly impossible, so plan accordingly.
Vivek K — Google review
This is the viral bakery that I have been wanting to try for a long time. I absolutely loved it. They are known for their banana pudding and it was delicious. I went during the fall time and was able to try a few of their fall flavored pasties. I got a pumpkin cheesecake, a regular cheesecake and I believe it was some type of gingersnap pastry as well. Everything was so good. There isn't seating inside but across the street there's an area with benches I sat on to enjoy. 10/10 I would come again!
Sonia R — Google review
Magnolia Bakery is one of those spots that feels like a true New York moment. It is cozy, welcoming, and the kind of place that manages to be both iconic and genuinely good. Everyone talks about the banana pudding, and for good reason. It is creamy, light, and unlike anything else. But my personal recommendation is the chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing. It is simple, perfectly balanced, and exactly what a classic cupcake should taste like. The bakery itself is always clean and the staff are friendly, which makes the experience feel easy and enjoyable, even when it is busy. It is also across the street from a great little bookstore, which makes stopping by feel like you are stepping into one of those quintessential New York City days where everything lines up just right. Magnolia works for just about everyone. It is great for kids, but just as fun for adults who want a sweet treat or a nostalgic moment. Whether you are local or visiting, it is a must-go and a place you will probably find yourself returning to again and again.
Charly H — Google review
Try the famous banana pudding which is surprisingly tasty with banana chunks and cookies and cream. Love it. Also got the red velvet cheesecake and Iced matcha, delicious too. Only for take out so we enjoyed them in nearby park. All the cakes look really attractive in the shop, can’t wait to try more soon.
Tan T — Google review
My first time trying Magnolia Bakery and fell in love. I have the brown sugar cookie and the hot chocolate with oat milk and it was very delicious. This is great stop for quick sweet treat. I've heard great things about the banana pudding, I'll try it next time.
Ashley F — Google review
Finally tried Magnolia Bakery’s famous banana pudding—totally worth the hype. Creamy, fluffy, with real banana chunks and soft wafers that melt right in. Sweet but not too heavy, and dangerously easy to finish in one sitting. A NYC must-try dessert—approved and devoured.
Samara L — Google review
This is a classic. I don’t think it needs any more recommendation. I obviously got the banana pudding and I was very surprised at how good it was. I also got the seasonal pumpkin spice pudding, and it was the perfect fall dessert. I cannot recommend the banana pudding enough. I actually thought about ways in which I could bring this back to Europe, so now I’m hoping they would open up a bakery somewhere in Europe.
Maria I — Google review
It was my first time trying the famous banana pudding. I did not expect to like it that much. It is definitely not to be missed whenever you visit here. We also got pecan cheesecake which was good as well. It was rich and heavy.

Dominique Ansel Bakery, located in SoHo, is a must-visit for those with a sweet tooth. This bakery-cafe, led by the renowned pastry chef Dominique Ansel, offers an array of classic French pastries and unique creations that are exclusive to this establishment. While you may encounter a line at the entrance, the wait is well worth it once you step inside.
This Bakery was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to New York! Crumpets were phenomenal, I ordered the special that had a strawberry cream filling (that I absolutely loved!) but there’s plenty of options available and they all look delicious. Coffee was great as well and they had veggie milks available. Perfect place for a to go order, but definitely worth staying for a while as the place is really cozy and beautiful.
Nina V — Google review
The desserts at Dominique Ansel Bakery were very tasty, and everything we tried was really good. There was a long line, but it was worth the wait. Definitely a spot to visit at least once if you’re in New York!
Rushi J — Google review
Disclaimer: I came near closing time and I’ve heard that there’s a big difference in quality between early visits and late visits, with items tasting better earlier in the day. We got a DKA (Dominique’s kouign amann) and a cronut and it ended up being almost $16. The flavors of the two were good but neither were flaky at all. No flakes to be found. I was very disappointed in the lack of croissant texture. I don’t think I will return as I didn’t enjoy the “must-try” items and it was expensive. The waiter was also nice but the person manning the register was kind of rushing to get us out of the restaurant.
Vivian N — Google review
Ansel Bakery is a true NYC classic! Their Cronut is really good, a little too sweet for me, but still delicious. I love their cookie shot with the milk inside! There’s plenty of seating toward the back, which is nice. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. Definitely worth checking out at least once, they have lots of other great treats too!
Karina V — Google review
Dominique Ansel Bakery in Soho continues to live up to the hype. I popped in for a quick treat and left completely delighted. The almond croissant had just come out of the oven about an hour earlier and was honestly perfection—crispy on the outside, delicately layered, and filled with rich almond paste that wasn’t overly sweet. Every bite had that just-right balance of texture and flavor. A special shoutout to Chapel, who went above and beyond. I mentioned loving the extra toasted almond bits that fall off the top, and without missing a beat, she added a handful to my bag. That small, thoughtful gesture made my visit feel personal and warm. Great pastries, even better service—I’ll definitely be back.
Maryam — Google review
While traveling around Manhattan, hitting some bakeries and coffee shops, I stopped in at Dominique Ansel. It came highly recommended, and is the home of the original cronut, so I knew it had to be on the list to visit. There was quite a selection of options, and the cronut was pretty special. They even had a cute little outdoor garden space to sit and enjoy our food. It took them a while to get us everything we ordered, but all in all, I'd recommend giving it a try if you're in the area.
Eddy G — Google review
TLDR: 3.5 stars, liked the cronut texture but didn’t get the flavor. Cookie shot is good but also fairly expensive I liked the texture of the cronut, like a thin deep fried doughnut. However I didn’t know what the flavor on top of the cronut was, it didn’t taste like anything specific. The cookie made into a cylinder with some vanilla milk inside was a fun play on cookies and milk but for almost $7, seemed a bit costly as well.
Wilson T — Google review
Can't say enough about how friendly and kind their staffs are. Beautiful, beautiful place. You dont realize it until you walk all the way to the back and you see an oasis. Plenty of sitting areas for you to enjoy indoor and outdoor while you enjoy your delicious food/desserts. We had to try their chocolate chip cookie cup with milk in it. Wow! What an unique idea. It was so soft and tasty.

Spot Dessert Bar is a trendy dessert spot with multiple locations in New York City, offering a unique fusion of Asian flavors and traditional sweets. The menu features photogenic and inventive desserts like the Cookie Camp, Coconut Monkeybread, Matcha Waterfall, and the Harvest, which resembles a small potted plant. Chef Ian Kittichai's warm and gooey cookies such as the Coconut Caramel and Matcha Lava are customer favorites.
A dessert lover’s paradise! The collection of desserts is incredible, and everything tastes as good as it looks. It’s the perfect place to fix your sweet tooth cravings. Just a heads-up—weekends can get crowded and the space is limited, so be prepared to wait. Still, the flavors make it worth every minute!
Chintan A — Google review
I am. Sorry. For this 3 star review. Because the staff were so nice and so chill and actually super funny. We were throwing some weird questions at them and they indeed played ball. Thanks guys. Anyway. The food is just super mid. So so mid. The matcha lava cake is good. The cheesecake in a dirt pot is good. Everything else tasted like literally nothing and cost a months rent. I’m so sorry. It also always has a wait but you can join the guest list from afar (online) which is nice.

I WILL be coming back for the Golden Toast and Harvest dessert! I took a bite of both and went straight to heaven—I'm literally obsessed with them. I wasn't expecting the butter on the Golden Toast to be a brown butter, but I absolutely love it! The milk tea for the Harvest dessert added the perfect touch of flavor, giving the layers underneath more depth. I did have to wait in a line to be seated but it was honestly worth the wait!
Munya L — Google review
The golden toast is literally one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth. I had to come back two days later and have it again. Excellent service. All the food we tried was amazing. It’s quiet but filled with natural light. The perfect spot for an afternoon treat!
Vera R — Google review
Back to Spot Dessert Bar and I had a much better experience this time — I tried the most elegant black sesame dessert, alongside asian desserts that are both nutritious and delicious. This seasonal menu highlights asian winter ingredients known for their natural benefits, turning comfort food into something nourishing. I didn’t even feel sweetened out after trying them all. I also tried a Halloween Special which I hoped they could consider keeping it in the regular menu!! *Sesame Bloom $14.95 ** The presentation was so elegant that I could easily picture it served at a fine dining restaurant. This black sesame basque cheesecake came with condensed milk ice cream, berry compote and vanilla anglaise. Its deep black hue proved how rich and nutty it was. This was easily our favorite out of the three! *Chrysanthemum Snow $14.95 It’s rare to see a modern dessert with goji berries and snow mushrooms! The chrysanthemum frozen base was topped with snow mushroom, goji berries, golden pear, and yuzu honey jam. Light, floral, and full of nourishing ingredients. Definitely guilt-free and delicious. *Ube-rri $14.95 An ube mousse cake layered with chia panna cotta, blueberry compote, chiffon, and topped with a white chocolate shell. The tangy compote balanced out the creamy ube mousse. *** We got all three of these fall/winter specials for $38.15 (original $44.85). *Halloween Spooky Monkey Bread Made with warm coconut monkey bread, coconut ice cream and coconut flakes and drizzled with ube sauce. I was absolutely in love with the hot and cold contrast!!
Ruby C — Google review
Spot Dessert on St. Marks has been a neighborhood favorite for awhile. I love this place and stop by whenever I’m in the area. Two favorites are the Harvest and the Golden Toast. On this trip it was the Harvest, with its chiffon cake, strawberries whipped crream, and Oreo crumbs. It’s served with some milk tea, which you pour over it, and some raspberry sorbet. This is dessert heaven! The combo of flavors is delicious. One thing I like about that particular dish, is that it’s not too heavy. The quantity is perfect without weighing you down. Even though I have this dish most of the time, I can say that every dish I’ve had here has been great. I love their non-dairy ice cream options like their raspberry and mango, and of course the previously mentioned Golden Toast. The staff is fantastic, the atmosphere cool, and the prices are reasonable. Recommended!
Michael P — Google review
My friend recommended this place because he noticed I needed a bit of stress eating and I’m so glad he did! He suggested I try the Matcha Lava Cake, and it was absolutely amazing. I also ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte, which quickly became my new favorite. I didn’t expect the combination of strawberry and matcha to taste so good it’s sweet, smooth, and surprisingly relaxing. The cozy atmosphere and beautiful plating made the experience even better. I highly recommend this spot for anyone who wants to unwind, enjoy some stress-relieving desserts, and treat themselves to something truly delicious!

A Century of Sweet Perfection! I’ve been coming to this incredible homemade ice cream shop since I was five years old, and I can honestly say—no place compares. With over 100 years of history, they’ve perfected every scoop with love, tradition, and flavor that speaks for itself. Walking through the doors feels like stepping into a timeless treasure where generations have gathered for a taste of happiness. The quality is unmatched—rich, creamy, and full of nostalgic flavor that instantly takes me back to childhood. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels like home. It’s not just ice cream, it’s a legacy. Thank you for keeping this delicious tradition alive. Here’s to many more years of sweet memories!

I can’t say enough good things about Eddie’s Sweet Shop! My fiancé and I recently took our engagement photos there, and the experience was nothing short of magical. The owner and staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable — they were so kind, accommodating, and genuinely excited for us. The shop’s vintage charm made the perfect backdrop for our photos, and the warmth we felt from everyone there made it even more special. We truly loved every moment and are so grateful to have chosen Eddie’s for such an important memory. If you’re ever in the area, whether for a sweet treat or a trip down memory lane, I highly recommend stopping by. Eddie’s Sweet Shop is a true gem — full of character, delicious ice cream, and wonderful people.

I enjoyed coming to Eddie’s for dessert. I loved the orange freeze and the ice cream sundae was great. Eddie’s is a vintage ice cream parlor and served up tasty sweets. It’s worth a visit if you are in the area and need to cool down or are looking for something sweet.

We arrived, a group of 4, with two of us larger men. There was a table for 4 just in the middle of everything and a table for 8 out of the way. They sat us at the table in the way. We asked if we could move to the larger table and were told that was for larger parties and they could not use it on us.Okay, we understood. The next group behind us was a table a 2 which was seated at the larger table. (later, another group of 2 was say at the other end.) One of my party was bumped into no less than 4 times in this short period as we were literal in the path of every employee and patron. Right before the server came to take our order, we saw a larger booth open up. We asked our server if we could move to that booth as we were getting bumped into and were informed they only move parties in emergencies. (This later added entertainment as we tried to figure out what emergency would qualify for a table move...choking, allergic reaction, fire?) Anyway, the order was taken. The server was friendly and attentive. The ice cream was a bit pricey but good. I guess the ambience of it being the oldest ice cream parlor in NYC is the draw. I have now checked that box and will satisfy my sweet tooth at other, roomier and more accommodating locations.

Really cute ice cream shop in the neighborhood. Old style but still serving people nowadays. Portion is normal considering the price, ice cream was fairly good.

I came here on a Saturday night with one of my friends. I had a banana split it was HUGE and hard to finish but i managed. The staff was great, when the waitress came over to make sure we were enjoying, i jokingly said to her "it was horrible can you tell there is not nothing left" and "I said i am NEVER COMING BACK" truth is i will be back and i will bring my son. One suggestion to the owner/manager that reads this i would like to see the wait staff, and counter staff dressed up as SODA JERKS, to feel more nostalgic that is already is !

Milk Bar, created by Chef Christina Tosi, is a dessert empire with eight locations across Manhattan and Brooklyn. The flagship store offers an expanded menu of inventive desserts and customizable sweets. The branch on Vanderbilt Avenue provides a sunny outdoor seating area and serves a special cereal milk latte alongside classic coffee options. This laptop-friendly cafe encourages a one-hour limit during busy times and has a no-laptop policy on weekends.
Great atmosphere inside, the neon lights and mirrors around really add to it. The sample of the milk bar pie was very welcoming (and tasty). The cornflake cookie is also fantastic, will come again

Delicious desserts for all hours of the day. I had the Milk Bar pie and Sundae combo deal. They were both good. The vanilla soft serve ice cream is a cereal milk tasting flavor which my husband did not like. He thought it was good but his flavor of choice. The pie was very rich maybe too rich for me. Eating it together was delicious though. Prices were good. Selection was good. Seating available was good. It’s a nice place to sit and satisfy your sweet tooth for sure.
Ny B — Google review
Had this place recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! We ordered the lemon meringue pie and cereal milk soft serve, and it definitely satisfied our sweet tooth. The girl taking our order was also super sweet. Would definitely visit again if I’m ever in NYC again!
Rizka B — Google review
This place has definitely gone way downhill. The employees don’t care, the music is too loud and this is what a “Pie and Soft Serve” looks like. Everyone understands that when someone orders pie and ice cream, the ice cream should be on top of the pie. And also the pie should be warm. Here instead you get this and the pie is refrigerated solid out of a box. Very dissatisfying
Prasenjit M — Google review
Honestly? Average. Just average. I came here expecting a fun, creative dessert stop something sweet to wrap up the night, but everything just kind of fell flat. The snacks looked cute, sure, but the flavors were uninspired. Our drinks were lukewarm, the sugar hit too strong, and it all felt like the staff was more eager to close up than serve something memorable. Quick notes for fellow dessert hunters: Service: Polite and minimal, just enough to take the order and move things along. Food: Ok. It's ok. Atmosphere: Clean enough, but the energy was as tired as the drinks. Nothing terrible, but nothing special either. Out of everywhere I visited in NYC, this was the most forgettable stop, which is saying something in a city full of flavor.

Really beautiful and vintage old 50s diner. Living for it! Staff really kind. Looks clean. Taste not as hyped for, and kinda expensive. But still a good place to hangout for a little bit and get a coffee.

Eileen's Special Cheesecake is a renowned bake shop that has been serving up delectable cheesecakes and other sweet treats since the mid-70s. Located in Nolita, New York City, this iconic establishment offers an array of cheesecake flavors including fruit-topped, nut-topped, and classic varieties. Their 12-slice sampler is perfect for first-time visitors, featuring an assortment of flavors such as chocolate banana, strawberry, blueberry, and more.
I decided to explore all the legendary desserts in New York — after all, I have a sweet tooth, and where better to indulge than NYC? Eileen’s Cheesecake shows up on every list — you simply can’t ignore it if you’re researching the city’s best cheesecakes. It’s a small spot with a charming blue-and-white facade. Inside, it smells a bit like cleaning supplies (they do keep it very clean), with one mirrored wall and another covered in awards and articles. Even though it was closing in less than 30 minutes, the display case was still almost full. Their cheesecakes come in perfectly round shapes, with a flavor for every mood. We tried two: the Original and the Salted Caramel. I was worried about the overly sweet American flavors — but that wasn’t the case here at all! The flavors were well-balanced, and that made the experience even more delightful.
Kristina Z — Google review
Eileen’s Special Cheesecake is a tiny Soho gem with a cheesecake case that reads like a rainbow—every flavor looks better than the last. I went straight for the classics and grabbed cherry, strawberry, and caramel. All three hit the right balance, but the strawberry stole the show with bright fruit that cuts through the cream. What I love is the texture: the graham-cracker crust stays buttery without turning soggy, and the filling is fluffy rather than dense, so it never feels heavy or overly sweet. My only wish is for a hint of crunch in the base to add contrast, but that’s splitting hairs. For a quick cheesecake fix that keeps things light and flavorful, Eileen’s is an easy win.

I recently visited Eileen’s Special Cheesecake in New York and tried their classic cheesecake — and wow, it was absolutely amazing. The texture struck the perfect balance between creamy and light, with just the right amount of richness that didn’t feel heavy. The crust had a subtle crunch that complemented the smooth filling beautifully. What stood out most was the flavor — not overly sweet, but perfectly balanced, letting the tang of the cream cheese really shine through. It’s the kind of cheesecake that feels timeless and comforting, yet still indulgent. If you’re in NYC and love cheesecake (or even if you think you don’t), this spot is a must-visit. The classic alone is worth the trip.

I LOVE Eileen’s cheesecake and I do not like cheesecake! This is something special and next level from 98% of cheesecake made. It’s fresh and the flavors are on point. It’s not too sweet, staff is always pleasant. Been eating here for well over a decade, not disappointed once. My favorite fruit is raspberry, pineapple, strawberry. My favorite non fruit is salted caramel and low sugar. The crust is so delicate. Keep up the great job!
MATTHEW S — Google review
The cheesecake at Eileen's is, without a doubt, the best cheesecake in New York City, in my humble opinion. Unlike the heavy, overly dense cakes you find elsewhere, Eileen's has a remarkably light, fluffy, and creamy texture that melts in your mouth. It's incredibly flavorful, and has a lite taste. Love that you can truly appreciate the quality of the ingredients. The individual-sized cheesecakes are perfect. I ordered strawberry, and salted caramel each individual cost $6.50 each. Customers can purchase bigger size cheesecakes, and Eileen’s ship nationwide. The smaller individual cheesecakes options allow you to try multiple delicious flavors in one visit. From the classic plain, rich salted caramel, fruity strawberry, cherry, and blueberry. The shop on Cleveland Place has a cozy, old-school charm that adds to the experience, and while the space is small, if there is a line, just know, the line moves quickly thanks to the friendly and efficient staff. A visit to Eileen's is a must-do for any cheesecake lover in the city. Eileen’s is a Soho must visit!

Always a pleasant experience to visit Eileen’s! The staff is always super helpful and friendly. An abundance of options to choose from for personal size cheesecakes and have never been let down. Tried their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake during today’s visit and enjoyed it quite a bit! Would definitely recommend Eileen’s when in the area.

Eileen’s Special Cheesecake 17 Cleveland Pl. New York, NY 10012 Strawberry Classic Plain Cookies N Cream Salted Caramel Appearance: 10/10 Taste: 10/10 Located at the four corner intersection in SoHo is a locally owned specialty cheesecake shop that has been in business for over 50 years. All cheesecakes are handmade daily with no fillers or preservatives. Manager Amanda introduced me to four of the most popular cheesecakes on the menu. As I opened the box, my appetite was filled with joy as I knew I was going to be in for a treat. Strawberry: This pie is topped with a giant strawberry and smothered in strawberry sauce. It was unbelievably fruity and tangy. Classic Plain: This original New York cheesecake was smooth and creamy. If you want to go plain Jane, this pie has your name! Cookies N Cream: This tart was beautifully handcrafted; the mini Oreo cookie added a nice decorative touch. The chocolate graham cracker crust blended well with the cheesecake. Salted Caramel: What makes this pie unique to the others is the hardened creme brulee at the top, giving it a crunchy texture. The dining area is standing room only, but there are plenty of outdoor benches across the street at Lt. Petrosino Square. Be prepared to wait in line, but it moves pretty quickly! Overall, these cheesecakes were phenomenal and I see why this dessert shop has been around for a long time! #cheesecakelovers #eileensspecialcheesecake #eileenscheesecake #cheesecakechallenge #CookiesNCreamCheesecake #classicplaincheesecake #strawberrycheesecake #saltedcaramelcheesecake #CremeBruleeCheesecake #sohonyc

When people talk about the best cheesecake in NYC, it's usually between this and Junior's I've had Junior's before, and it's my favorite dessert of all time - so I was really looking forward to this place. It was a very high bar, but I think this matches it. Does it exceed it? I don't know, but what I do know is the cheesecake from here is damn good Instead of slices, the cheesecake here is served in mini tarts. This is much smaller than your typical slice, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you were here for. I liked it because it gave me a chance to eat the whole thing as a snack without feeling too full The cheesecake flavor is outstanding. It's that classic mix of creaminess, slight sourness, and cheesiness that makes this kind of cake what it is. Every bite is just so addicting it's hard to get enough of. These are truly those moments where you sit back, close your eyes, and just let the flavor wash over you. The texture is also perfect. You barely even need to chew (at least for the parts that aren't the crust) - it just melts in your mouth. What's unique about this cheesecake, compared to others, is that the crust goes all the way around the edges, nearly reaching up to the top in some parts. This is very nice because it means that eating from the outside-in, you can get a combination of crust and cake in a lot of bites - way more than if it were just at the bottom. For someone like me who loves the crust on these, this just makes it that much better. It also helps that the graham cracker crust is packed very tightly together, and not crumbly at all. Again, if I'm comparing this to Junior's I would have to say it's a tie for me. I like the actual cheesecake flavor slightly more there, because it's way more dense, but the lightness and fluffiness of Eileen's certainly has its place, and the crust certainly helps. Either way, though, you absolutely can't go wrong with the two best desserts I've ever had. Overall, this again proves that no city does cheesecake like NYC. 9.75/10

Rice To Riches is a trendy shop in Nolita with futuristic decor that offers an unconventional take on rice pudding. The space-age interior sets the stage for a unique dessert experience, where traditional rice pudding is transformed into velvety and flavorful creations. The menu features inventive flavors like adobo-infused, pandan, and chipotle-infused cane vinegar with caramelized bananas. Visitors can sample various flavors before indulging in favorites like Rocky Road and Old Fashioned Romance.
I cannot say enough great things about this place! Rice pudding is one of my favorite desserts, so when I heard about this, I had to visit. Tried so many different flavors and still didn't try. All of them. Will definitely be making another trip to try more. I think the price was amazing. The service was amazing. not many seats inside, so maybe a better off getting to go. But highly recommend if you like rice pudding!!!!

Best rice pudding in the world! The selection is amazing! The pudding is delicious! My husband makes sure we come here for his treat every single time we visit NYC! This is now an obsession! P.S. whoever did their marketing is brilliant! All the signs/posters are catchy and funny!

Indulgent is the only way to describe it! The number of flavor options are insane! We tried the rocky road, cheesecake and coconut! All of them were great but rocky road was my personal favorite because there was a mix of brownie and nuts too! I’m definitely coming back!

I've heard so many things about this spot, but there's a reason why a rice pudding spot can last in SoHo: it's delicious! There was a deal going on UberEats for this spot, so I decided to give it a try. I got their coconut rice pudding with cake crumbles on top and it was delicious. It was definitely very sweet, rich, and creamy. Would love to try the other flavors.

This is one of the best rice puddings I have ever experienced. With a variety of flavor options, choosing can be quite challenging, as all of them are exceptionally delicious. My personal favorites include the Fluent in French Toast, Man Made Mascarpone, and Coast to Coast Cheesecake. These options are rich, creamy, and truly satisfying desserts that meet their reputation. The staff is very patient and accommodating, understanding that it may take a moment to decide among the numerous options. The location features a unique aesthetic, combining elements of retro futurism, pop art, and modern design, creating an inviting and vibrant atmosphere. It's an excellent spot for memorable experiences with friends and great photo opportunities. Additionally, the to-go containers are particularly charming.

We were walking by and we felt attracted by the place, which is really unique. We stepped in and we asked what was about lol, the man who served us was very nice ! And he gave us some samples, I asked for the less sweet and he suggest the ricotta one, i couldn’t pick just 1 so you can order a bigger one and chose more than 1 flavor. So I did. But honestly the smallest size is big enough! They also have good coffee!

Had dessert here with a couple of friends last night! We stumbled across this place while leaving our dinner. The esthetic of the place was clean, modern and open. It was inviting. My friends and I ordered different flavors. We all agreed the rice pudding was amazing! None of the flavors were overpowering, had the right amount of sweetness. The customer service was outstanding! Sean and Omar were both fun and provided superb customer service. Their marketing team is talented, look around at alll the signs, signage is quite comical. I ordered the rocky road flavor and it may not have looked appetizing 💩…but I promise you, it was the best tasting 💩 I’ve had. Highly recommend checking this place out, you won’t regret it! Unless, your lactose intolerant. In which case, I would still urge you to be irresponsible. Including a picture, please try to focus on the bowls (that’s the point) and not the beauties in the background. Keep your eyes on the dessert, and don’t get distracted. 😀 Happy Tasting!

Doughnut Plant is a unique bakery known for its handcrafted donuts in a variety of unusual flavors such as crème brûlée and tres leches. The shop offers an extensive selection of donuts that fall into different categories, including nostalgic, newfangled, cake, and yeasted options. The bakery's signature rose doughnuts with canele-like ridges and two-tone icing modeled after the iconic black-and-white cookie are particularly popular.
The staff were brilliant donuts were insanely good! Visiting from England. This is a must try in New York, especially the strawberry cheesecake.

Cute little donut shop that I wandered into on my way to meet a friend. Too bad there's not a lot of sitting room - it was definitely on the more cramped side but I can appreciate the effort on the donut related decors. The donuts themselves were also just so-so. Very unique and fun flavors but maybe it was because it was cold when I finally got to eating it, but it tasted a little dry.
Kat — Google review
The first time I discovered Doughnut Plant, I gave it 5 stars because they were truly the most spectacular doughnuts I had ever tried. Every time we planned a trip to New York, our reaction was always the same: “Yes! We’re going to eat Doughnut Plant!” But this time was a big disappointment. We went three times, and all three times were a bad experience. We visited three different locations, at different times of day, and unfortunately, the result was always the same. They used to stand out for their flavor, texture, and variety — they were really special — but now they just feel like any other doughnut shop. The crème brûlée no longer has that crispy top that made it unique, the vanilla bean was completely melted, and even the Valrhona hot chocolate, which used to be rich and intense, has lost its depth. At the Grand Street location, the service was particularly poor — the staff looked upset, served with bad attitude, and seemed annoyed all the time. This didn’t happen in the other two locations, where at least the service was polite. It honestly makes us sad, because for years this was our favorite place. Whenever friends or family came to New York, we always told them they couldn’t leave without trying these doughnuts. But now, unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. We want this to be a constructive review, because we truly value what Doughnut Plant once was. Hopefully, this is just a rough patch, and they’ll soon go back to being the best doughnuts — like they used to be.

We had to get a doughnut in New York and walking past this, and seeing what was on offer here, we decided to pop in. They had a wonderful selection, and it was impossible to choose. In the end, the 3 we went for were amazing. The PB and J doughnut was light fluffy and flavourful. I could have easily eaten more.

Creme brulee donut exceeded my expectations. The burnt sugar added a nice crunch to the soft exterior. The custard was creamy, soft and delicious. The atmosphere was of a small coffee shop. Rock was being played. The cashier was kind & enjoying the playlist making the vibe more comforting.

So impressed by the quality of Doughnut plants sourdough donuts!! I always go for sourdough as someone who has a gluten sensitivity, and these are simply amazing (refer to the photos to see how airy these bad boys are). Pies 'n' Thighs is a casual and diverse diner known for its crispy, juicy deep-fried chicken made from organic or humanely-raised ingredients. The menu also features delectable homemade pies with unique crusts, along with other Southern comfort foods like fried catfish, spicy mac and cheese, and award-winning buttermilk biscuits. The restaurant is run by three innovative women who previously worked together at Diner.
Went here with a friend for dinner and it was a great experience overall. Food: I forgot to take photos (of the mains) but I had the chicken and waffles and it was so good! The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned to the tee. The waffles were soft but very flavorful as well. My friend and I split an old fashioned donut and the banana pie as well with extra cream! Make sure to ask for extra cream it really makes the desserts worth it! Service: Quick and fast! The staff always asked us if everything was good and if we needed anything extra. Atmosphere: Such a quiant little shop in Williamsburg! Gives a shop around the corner vies for sure. Would def come back!

Come for the chicken stay for the pie. I got the chicken and waffles, it's bone in chicken very crispy taste great. The waffles are soft and come with some cinnamon butter and blueberries. I had never had c&w with blueberries but it adds such a nice flavor. I also got a slice of apple pie warmed up with ice cream. The apple pie is fresh and full of flavor, just the right amount of food not huge plates or huge slice. The rest of their pastries and menu look just as good, will be back and trying the biscuits.

Pies’n’Thighs is one of the best spots in Williamsburg for southern comfort food, handmade pastries and local craft beer. Their cinnamon roll is incredible - chefs kiss! It’s soft, buttery, you can tell they’re fresh from that morning - think Cinnabon but better. I’m always down for a sweet treat and everything here hits - the pies, the pecan crunch donut, ugh everything is just so good when it’s made from scratch and so much care. The Hippie Banjo for brunch (hello Sprouts!) and the Fried Catfish Plate are my other favorites. I love their sandwich bread (pro tip I think you can buy it) and the tarter sauce for that catfish is perfection. They also carry really good local craft beer from other half, evil twin and Grimm, which makes dinner and weekend brunch even better. The staff is always friendly and knowledgable- they know exactly what to recommend- the GM even told Me about their new ice cream shop, Heap’s Ice Cream ,where they use Pies’n’Thighs pastries for ice cream sandwiches (like what, def going next time) Last week I tried the chicken tenders (I think they’re only in house) and they were juicy, crunchy and full of flavor. The sauces were great too but I’m a Ranch girl through and through. The food and drinks give an elevated vibe at night, but it’s also the perfect cozy bakery to stop for coffee and pastries on the way to work. I highly recommend Pies’n’Thighs - good food, good vibes and the nicest staff.

Omg!! I was from out of town and saw this restaurant on yelp. It was within walking distance of my hotel. It’s cute. And everyone is super nice. I recommend the chick and waffles so tasty. And it was a lot of food. I want to come back and try the catfish and sour cherry and peach pie.

Been many times though last time was years ago. Ordered online for pickup. At first I was impressed that the price hasn't changed all that much. But then I opened up the order. What a joke. While it was tasty, id be shocked if the chicken part was more than 2oz. To give you a sense of the size, its a very thin cutlet a little bigger than your standard ketchup packet. 5 stars is for the memory of what was, and 3 stars for what is. So 4 is in the middle.

Breads Bakery is a spacious and bright bakery located in the heart of Union Square, NYC. Co-founded by Gadi Peleg and baker Uri Scheft, this bakery is known for its carefully crafted artisan breads and pastries. The menu includes legendary chocolate babka, decadent rugelachs, dense brownies, beautiful challah, and other delightful treats.
Popular bakery on the ground floor of an apartment complex. Fragrant even before you step in, it’s bustling with visitors in line to check out. Frequently restocked shelves of different pastries. The palmiers here were a lovely treat to get, petite but full of buttery sweet flavor. Staff are prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. It’s fast paced inside but wonderful to smell everything.

Very tempting butter aroma, the croissant was really good, with almond filling inside and a cookie-like crispy outside. Maybe the croissant was so good that the cinnamon roll looked ordinary. The store also sells sandwiches, lunch salads and soups, with a lot of choices. It is a bakery that has won many awards, I will come back to buy croissants and try other foods.

Signs announcing that this bakery has been awarded best baguette and best croissant are all over the walls of this bakery with good reason. Upon entering, you’re confronted with a really mesmerizing display of breads and pastries, and the bakers in-store are happy to discuss their products and help you make a selection. Because I am limited to the confines of my human organs, I could not eat everything and picked an almond croissant and a chocolate rugelach. The almond filling was delicious and smooth, and nothing was too sweet: completely perfect. I’m a little traditional with rugelach, and I think this felt a little more like a mini chocolate croissant to me, but it was delicious nonetheless! Will be returning.

Total waste of money. Insane you buy an almond croissant and you get neither of the distinctive traits that makes a pastry an almond croissant: the studded almond crust on top, and the almond filling inside. My crust had literally two tiny flakes of an almond. That’s it. 2 shavings. And absolutely nothing inside. Even as a basic croissant this sucked, it was flat and had no lift or air inside. Staff were nice but they can’t save this total disappointment of a pastry. Edit: In response to the reply, there was nothing inside. Zoom in on the pics and judge for yourself.

Thank you! Truly. Thanks for not making me late for work this morning. I saved $12 and got a healthy breakfast from my work fridge instead. Win-win. I usually stop by 2–6 times a week for the carb-loaded goodness. Lately, though, I’ve discovered a new perk here: the staff’s talent for such engaging conversations with each other that customers at the register become invisible. Watching 4–5 staff members ignore you on your way to work is… impressive. I leave with money still in my pocket and arrive at work on time. I’m starting to think this might be the best deal in town.

Went to the Union Square location- lives up to its reputation as a go-to spot for artisan breads and delectable sandwiches. We started with their sourdough bread to go, which is a standout. The slow-fermented organic sourdough had a perfect balance of tangy flavor and a chewy, airy crumb, encased in a golden crust. If you’re a sourdough enthusiast, this is a must-try. The olive and cheese breadsticks were another highlight. And we also got croissant and palmiers were superhit. They were a fantastic snack on their own. We sat and I ordered the egg salad sandwich. My wife ordered the roasted bell peppers sandwich with cream cheese on sourdough bread was the star of the meal. The roasted bell peppers were sweet and smoky, paired beautifully with the rich, tangy cream cheese. The sourdough bread provided a sturdy yet soft base that soaked up the flavors without falling apart. The combination was simple yet executed with such precision that every bite was a delight. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the experience even more enjoyable. Prices are on the higher side, as expected for an artisan bakery in NYC, but the quality justifies the cost.

Serendipity 3, located in the Upper East Side of New York City, is a renowned dessert destination with an old-school charm. The menu offers a wide variety of foods including burgers, nachos, dim sum, soups, casseroles, sandwiches, crepes and pasta. One of its most famous offerings is the signature Frrrozen Hot Chocolate which comes in a large bowl garnished with marshmallow, graham crackers and chocolate.
We loved Serendipity!!! I made a reservation online about a week in advance, thank God I did. It was so busy! My husband and I and our 2 girls (ages 6 & 9) loved all our food and desserts! My husband got a bacon cheese hot dog and I got the truffle burger. Both amazing. We all had more fries than we could eat. We also got the frozen hot chocolate to share, and each daughter got 1 scoop of ice cream with a topping, which was also more than they could eat. Despite it being packed and needing a reservation, our food came out super quickly. I was really impressed by that. And our waiter, Leo, was SO friendly, which made the overall vibe amazing. We hope to be back next time we visit the city!!

I booked a table at the Serendipity 3 Upper East Side restaurant for dinner on my wife's actual 60th birthday this evening as we really enjoyed our last visit there 10 years ago for her 50th birthday. Although we arrived 20 minutes earlier than our 5:15pm slot that I'd booked online, we were shown to a table within a few minutes. There's very little space between tables in the very small & cramped restaurant, so don't expect any privacy as we could clearly hear and follow the conversations of the diners on both the tables either side of us. Our super friendly server Randy asked if we were at the restaurant for any special occasion and my wife told him it was her 60th birthday without realising I'd already put all this in the 'what's the occassion?' section of their online booking form. He also asked if we had any allergies, which again I had already said we had none in the 'Any allergies or restrictions?' section of their online booking form. So clearly the servers don't see or don't bother to read the information provided online by their customers, rendering it a complete waste of our time!!! The birthday girl had the American cheeseburger with fries, which was OK. I had the Grandma Holt's fried chicken sandwich with a pot of tea. The fried chicken was a bit dry, the bun was a bit stale and I found the fries to be a bit too salty. My wife was really looking forward to the superb peanut butter cheesecake dessert we enjoyed sooo much on our last visit. However, it was no longer on the menu so she had to settle for the Ultimate Creme Cheesecake, which came with side servings of hot fudge & strawberry sauce. Our fabulous server Randy put a candle on the top of my wife's cheesecake, lit it and encouraged everyone in the restaurant to sing happy birthday, which made her feel special. Whilst we were dining in the restaurant there were 4 other people celebrating their birthdays as well. There's a photographer at the restaurant now, who went around every table taking photographs of customers and returning later trying to sell commemorative prints, which I found a bit tacky and touristy - not something I'd expect at a high end restaurant. The decor in the restaurant looked very tired and we certainly didn't enjoy our meal there this time, compared to our exceptional experience 10 years ago. I feel sadly it's more of a tourist trap now, feeding off the embers of its former glory days, which have long gone. We didn't have any alcoholic drinks with our meal and I left feeling the $100 we spent there could have been better spent in one of the hundreds of exceprional restaurants in NYC for the special occasion of my wife's 60th birthday.

Randy greeted us at the door, making us feel incredibly welcome (not always a common experience in NY). Super grateful I finally got to experience this, it def lived up to the hype!

Ice cream shop
Benfaremo, also known as The Lemon Ice King of Corona, has been an iconic seller of Italian ices for over 60 years. Located in the heart of Little Egypt, it offers a variety of Middle Eastern sweets like kanafeh and baklava. The shop is famous for its transcendent Italian ice and is situated across from Spaghetti Park, where bocce tournaments take place at night.
The Lemon Ice King of Corona is a true neighborhood institution! This iconic spot has been serving the most incredible Italian ices for decades, and it never disappoints. Whether you’re a local or visiting, this place is an absolute must-visit. The flavors are as authentic and refreshing as ever, with each bite bursting with the perfect balance of sweetness and ice-cold satisfaction. You can taste the tradition in every scoop. It’s no wonder this spot has been a staple in the area for so long. Consistent, nostalgic, and always delicious, The Lemon Ice King of Corona is a timeless gem that deserves all the praise it gets. Do yourself a favor and stop by—you’ll be hooked for life!

Historic place with homemade Italian Style Ices. Many Flavors to choose from. If you ask for a spoon they'll give you one! Young kids serve you and they are respectful and helpful.

Located at 52-02 108th Street in Corona, Queens, The Lemon Ice King of Corona has been a beloved institution since 1944. Founded by Nicola Benfaremo and later run by his son Peter, this iconic Italian ice shop has become synonymous with summer in New York City. Its fame even extended to television, featuring in the opening credits of the sitcom The King of Queens. Authentic Italian Ices What sets The Lemon Ice King apart is its commitment to traditional, dairy-free Italian ices. Crafted in-house using small-batch churning, these ices achieve a creamy, semi-solid texture without any dairy ingredients. This method results in a smooth, refreshing treat that captures the essence of real fruit flavors. Flavorful Selections With over 40 flavors available, there's something for every palate. The classic lemon remains a favorite, offering a balance of tartness and sweetness that refreshes on hot days. Other popular choices include cherry, rainbow, and the uniquely rich peanut butter, which contains chunks of peanuts throughout. It's important to note that mixing flavors isn't permitted, encouraging patrons to savor each flavor individually. Community and Tradition Beyond the delightful ices, The Lemon Ice King is a cornerstone of the Corona community. The shop operates from a walk-up window, maintaining a nostalgic charm that harks back to its early days. Across the street, Flushing Meadows-Corona Park offers a perfect spot to enjoy your treat while watching local bocce games, adding to the authentic neighborhood experience. Final Thoughts The Lemon Ice King of Corona isn't just a place to grab a frozen treat; it's a slice of New York history. Its dedication to quality, tradition, and community has solidified its status as a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists seeking an authentic taste of Queens.

An absolute NYC classic. Every flavor here hits, but the lemon-lime takes the cake—it’s the perfect balance of tart and sweet. Pro tip: it’s cash only, so come prepared. Whether it’s a hot summer day, a casual first date, or you just need something to turn a frown upside down, this spot always delivers. There’s a reason it’s been around forever—it’s simple, iconic, and unbeatable.

Best place for Italian Ice and it's not particularly close. It's so good it's worth dealing with driving through and trying to find parking in this awful intersection.

Incredible. Hard to describe how good this is on a hot NYC day. The best flavors. Cherry 🍒 is the best! Tangerine 🍊 is perfectly balanced. Really helps beat the heat. Good prices too. Bring cash, tip well.

The Lemon Ice King of Corona is a hidden gem in New York that serves up some of the best ice cream I've ever had. The shop has a fun and inviting atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. But what truly sets The Lemon Ice King of Corona apart is their almond sorbet. It was rich and delicious, with the perfect balance of almond flavor and creaminess. Every spoonful was a delightful treat and left me wanting more. In addition to the delicious sorbet, the service at The Lemon Ice King of Corona was outstanding. The staff were friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend The Lemon Ice King of Corona to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable ice cream experience in New York. Whether you're in the mood for sorbet, ice cream, or something in between, this shop has something for everyone. Overall, The Lemon Ice King of Corona is a must-visit for anyone looking for an exceptional dessert experience.

Four & Twenty Blackbirds is a charming bakery and cafe located in Brooklyn, NYC. Founded by sisters Melissa and Emily Elsen, the eatery offers a delightful selection of handmade pies that change with the seasons. Drawing inspiration from their grandmother's recipes, the sisters have perfected the art of pie-making, infusing each creation with an authentic homemade feel.
I love pie, and thus am hard to please. I feel like you can kinda get away with a crappy cake but pie holds itself to a higher, more sophisticated standard, and flaws are harder to hide. This was some of the best pie of my life. It was ABSOLUTELY the best pecan pie I've ever had, I now not only understand why people like pecan pie, but I'm now an avid fan myself. I need to get this bakeries book and learn the secrets to their crust because it is perfect. Honestly, there's not much more so say. We tried their lemon, matcha, chocolate pecan and their cranberry sage and every one could not have been improved upon. Flavors were sharp, strong, balanced, great, deep matcha, the lemon and cranberry were tart without being sour, the pecan was sweet without being too sweet (they brilliantly use bittersweet chocolate. I could probably tear through a whole one myself). It's pie done right. Smooth custard fillings, flakey gold crust. And because this place is a paradise full of magical dream people they gave us a to-go cup of whipped cream. I love them. Happy national pie day everybody. For a celebration destination, look no further than this fine place.

I wish I had a better photo of the rhubarb pie - it’s beautiful and most importantly it tasted amazing. Finding just rhubarb pie is hard and finding it out of season in late September is even harder. I am so glad I could pre order this for my boyfriend’s birthday. It’s his favorite that his mom makes and he is so picky about pies but was really happy with one. Sweet and tart with perfect crust and crumble. Thank you guys for making it a great birthday

I’ve enjoyed their delicious and decadent pies in the past but yesterday I had picked up a blueberry pie I had ordered 2 days before. The blueberries were plentiful and delicious and the pie crust was unbelievably fabulous. I think this is the best blueberry pie I’ve ever had. Thank you. I’ll be back!

Super cute, nice staff, and inviting atmosphere. I've been to a lot of places where the "community table" seating is uncomfortable and awkward, but the one they have here is genuinely wonderful. The menu's definitely a bit pricey, but it's a really nice space to come for a treat and get some work done.

Great pies at a reasonable price! The matcha custard pie is my favorite!

The pies from this place are amazingly delicious! My favorite is the Lemon Chess Pie - the best! This last time we had a cappuccino from Variety Coffee - the perfect temperature for a rainy morning. Where some places overheat their capps, here, they definitely make cappuccinos right. Also, my husband & I shared a Blueberry Lemon Muffin and Brown Butter Apple Strudel. Both were scrumptious Fall treats. The place is pretty and rustic with plenty of seating. The staff are always friendly!

Came all the way from NJ expecting a warm slice of pie, but the service was kinda cold. Latte wasn’t hot, pie wasn’t warmed up, and no one offered. You’d think a pie shop would be all about warmth. Anyway it’s my second visit, not great.

Fortunato Brothers is a long-standing family-owned pastry shop and cafe located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Established in 1976, this charming eatery offers a blend of Italian and American sweets, along with delectable gelato. The cafe exudes an Italian ambiance through its decor, coffee, and culinary offerings. Notably, it stands out for its marzipan artistry, where almond paste is skillfully crafted into various shapes like bananas and eggplants.
Such a great, timeless Italian bakery in the area for ages! Varieties of pastries, cookies, cakes, gelato, and seasonal specialties like St. Joseph’s pastry and a variety of things for Easter. They have pistachio sfogliatelle (lobster tail pastry) as well as other varieties, they have a cream puff shaped like a swan. Something many unique items that differentiate from other Italian bakeries.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the cake I recently received from your store. I am not a first-time customer, which makes this experience even more frustrating. In the first picture (purple cake), the handwriting on the cake was extremely poorly done. It looked rushed and unprofessional, completely ruining the presentation. The words were slanted, “birthday” was missing the letter t, there was an odd scribble at the bottom of the “B,” and the “M” in “Maria” didn’t even resemble an M. Because of this, I wasn’t able to take proper pictures with the cake. For comparison, the second picture shows a cake I ordered just a month ago from your store, which looked clean, neat, and well-presented. The difference between the two is significant. When I addressed my concerns with the staff, the customer service I received was dismissive and unhelpful. I was told the handwriting was done by the owner himself and this was considered “fancy handwriting.” I never asked for fancy handwriting, and what I received was not neat or legible. Then when I showed him the photo of the cake he proceeded to tell me “That’s how all the handwritings on the cake look”. When I pointed out that this was untrue and showed them a photo of the previous cake I had ordered, which clearly had different, better handwriting, they had no response. I was told the owner would reach out to me the following day, but no one has contacted me. Instead, the only “solution” offered was that in the future I should order cakes without handwriting and have the writing done at pickup. This is not a reasonable solution. I expected much better quality and service, especially for an important occasion. Unfortunately, this experience has left me extremely dissatisfied, and I will not be returning.

A friend of mine raved about this bakery, so we decided to check out their gelato. Their pistachio flavor was incredible and didn't disappoint! We enjoyed it in their sitting area with great company. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Ordered a cake for an early Father's Day surprise-and the real surprise was that it arrived completely smashed. When I called the bakery, I was told, "Well, we didn't give it to the driver like that," and that there was nothing they could do. This was ordered directly through their website. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time l've had issues. On several occasions, items were missing from my order, and when I called to report it, I was told they couldn't just send a driver out to fix it. One time, they even claimed a replacement item was sold out-only for me to place a new order under another name and suddenly it was back in stock. It's been one unprofessional experience after another, and I can no longer recommend this place in good faith.

Fortunato Bros. is a true gem! The blonde girl with green eyes (i think her name was ariana or something) gave us top-tier service—so friendly and welcoming that she made us feel right at home. Her kindness and professionalism made our visit unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!

This was our first time visiting this Williamsburg Italian bakery. We ordered the Lobster Tail, St. Joseph Zeppole & Rainbow Cookies. And we ordered cappuccinos which were perfect. Everything was amazing. Also, the atmosphere was chill with plenty of indoor seating; kept very clean. The staff were super nice & friendly! Can’t wait to return and try more things! Also, we ordered a few things to-go; and our favorites were the Cannoli, Pignoli & Pistachio Cookies.

I came here for my birthday for cake and pastries with my sister, out of this world!!! I'm definitely going to go back for a pistachio lobster tail, best pastry I had all summer! We got the rainbow cookie cheesecake for the birthday cake, everyone was so pleased, we picked out more sweets from the case, got all three cannolis - hazelnut, pistachio and regular. All everyone enjoyed! Thank you so much for making my birthday special 💗

Chip City is a cozy bakery known for its delectable and generously sized cookies in various flavors, including seasonal specials. The intimate gourmet cookie joint offers warm and delicious options such as chocolate chip, smores, blueberry cheesecake, and even plant-based choices. Visitors rave about the dense texture of the cookies, likening it to a hybrid of a cookie and a scone.
I just cannot put into words how delicious the cookies are at every single one of these locations. Each time I go every cookie is fresh and delicious and has a nice crispy exterior with a warm gooey inside that I’ve had success heating up using a variety of kitchen gadgets even 5 to 7 days later. Definitely worth a trip if you are willing to put in some time on the cardio equipment.

this was my first time trying Chip City cookies and I’m positively surprised! The cookies were sweet, gooey, and just perfect. I got the chocolate chip, blueberry cheesecake and reese’s peanut butter blast cookies and all of them were great (although my favorite one was blueberry cheesecake). Also employees were patient and friendly 🖤🍪

These are not your regular cookies, these are the best cookies in town. They are big, chunky, freshly baked and they taste like a little piece of heaven. There are 13 flavors in total yet they do 4 different ones each day. There is usually always a line outside no matter what time but it runs fast and they are worth the wait. Each cookie is about $4.75 each or 3 cookies for about $14 total. Small place with big flavors. My favorites are oatmeal apple pie and chocolate chip. The oatmeal one tastes like a perfectly baked apple pie, with the right amount of sweetness, so soft and so delightful. Now as a chocolate lover, the chocolate chip cookie is just perfection for me.

Love their cookies! They are so thick and delicious! The Sea Salt Nutella is perfection! And the classic chocolate chip, triple chocolate and funfetti were all fantastic too! Would highly recommend getting a 1/2 dozen box - (they offer the 6th cookie free) to try a few different flavors!

Oh what a shop to be in!! I love this cookie shop!! Their cookies are so damn good. I cannot tell you how great they are! They cost a tad bit more than a regular run of the mill cookie but I promise, they’re so good. My favorite is the s’mores cookie. Metered parking is available but you can’t sit in the cookie shop. The customer service is excellent, my server was super friendly and helpful. Pre-ordering is also available.
Mahendra M — Google review
Ordered 4 chocolate chip cookies. Not impressed at all. Needs to be sweeter saltier and chewier. It tastes too dense, crispy and doughy somehow all at the same time. It’s also entirely way too large. Idk why certain establishments are obsessed with making these gargantuan cookies but then forget to focus on the flavor and texture. Like thanks for the value but it still doesn’t taste great. You’ve only accomplished giving me an even larger mediocre chocolate chip cookie. Insomnia Cookies is better than this place. If you want an actual good chocolate chip cookie, go to Culture Espresso or 7 Grams in NYC. THAT is what it should taste like. Even LeVain is way better than this if you must have a baseball sized cookie. Unfortunately, I am still searching for anything decent in my neighborhood of Astoria. Why is this so damn hard to find? People trying way to hard with the simplest of cookies smh 🤦🏻‍♂️

Maison Pickle, located on the Upper West Side, is a retro-chic eatery owned by Jacob Hadjigeorgis of Jacob's Pickles. The restaurant offers American comfort food with a French twist, featuring specialties like French dip sandwiches and steaks. Known for its 24-layer chocolate cake and old-school yet progressive cocktail menu, Maison Pickle has become a favorite spot for both locals and visitors alike.
Sunday was my 3rd time coming to this restaurant and the food is always good and the overall customer service is normally good. I recommend the pull apart bread (I’ve tried the honey butter one only) and the D’olived eggs. I’ve tried one of their french dip sandwiches and their patty melt as well, and they’re both good but I don’t feel it always tastes consistently good every time I go.
Abby B — Google review
I went to Mason Pickle on the Upper West Side with a friend, and we thought we’d try a little bit of everything—which, in hindsight, may have been a mistake! Their portion sizes are insane. Honestly, just one mac & cheese could’ve easily fed two people. We ended up ordering the pull-apart bread, egg & cheese sandwich, mac & cheese, and French toast… and could barely get through a few bites of each. Everything was rich, buttery, and very delicious. Not exactly light, but definitely satisfying. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the egg & cheese sandwich. It was way too greasy for my taste. Just a heads-up: if you’re hoping for a quiet brunch and easy conversation, it gets really loud. But if you’re in it for the food, you’ll leave happy.
Gizem N — Google review
We were in town attending the Ryder Cup and was recommended Maison Pickle by someone. We were able to grab a reservation easily for that same night. Once we got there the place was so cute. We ended up sitting in a small upstairs balcony area over looking the main restaurant. Our waitress was great, food was great and vibes were even better! They had a great music playlist going Sunday night and we sang about every song. 3 of us had the steak frites and another had a French dip. All delicious and the garlic pull apart bread was a great starter! Finished our meal off with the 24 layer chocolate cake! Can’t recommend this restaurant enough and we were so happy to find it ourselves! We will definitely be back on our next trip to NYC.

I’ve come here multiple times and can confidently say the food does not disappoint. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in the area, plus the portion sizes are huge! I can typically turn one entrée into 2-3 total meals, especially if I share a starter first. Sleeper hit: the d’olived eggs.
Dominique B — Google review
So we came here hunting for chocolate layer cake but they were out. Probably for the best as we had stuffed our faces with the amazing garlic and parmesan pull apart bread and some deviled eggs. We got French dip sandwiches and the French gruyere frites with bacon. The food was really top notch!

Came for dinner and had an absolutely fantastic time! The garlic and parm pull apart bread was insane - shocked how delicious yet airy they were. Tabitha took care of us and was extremely attentive and made our night! She let us know we could split our French onion soup and helped with recos on what to get — like the Oreo ice box cake which was not too sweet.
Tiffany L — Google review
What a great brunch place! The food was great, fresh and tasty! The French toast was sinful! The place was packed at 1:30 on a Saturday (so it was a bit noisey) but died down a bit around 3:30pm. The wait wasn't long and The food came out quick. I had an feta and spinach omelette and my friend had the patty melt and next to me someone had French toast which looked like it had the works on it! Portions were large! Service was fantastic! I'll be back.

Overall Maison Pickle was good. Solid, tasty food and good bang for your buck but nothing extraordinary. French toast was a bit dry and one of the pieces of fried chicken was super chewy. The omelet was tasty! And the pull apart pumpkin bread was yummy!

This is one of the best restaurants that I have been to lately, I was so pleasantly surprised. Not only was the food very good, the service was really unmatched. The starter bread was so delicious and a nice surprise at a place of this caliber to start off with something for all the tables. I do think they exceed at the appetizer courses more than the mains but everything we had was a nice twist and flavorful. The cocktails were also really layered and delicious, the server also brought us a taste of one of their favorite drinks which made the evening feel even more special. I will be telling people about this spot for sure!

Plates are quite small and they recommend 8-9 plates for a table of four Everyone raved about the Gruyère fritters but I wasn’t really impressed. The scallops were really good! The chicken was really good and so was the octopus. Pork katsu was meh - too tough and dry. Cod was just alright too Toffee pudding - soooo good.

Easily one of the best—if not the best—restaurants I’ve been to in New York City. Absolutely blew me away. I came in with pretty low expectations, thinking maybe the initial hype had died down, but Crown Shy completely exceeded them. Reservations are much easier to get now than they used to be, which makes it the perfect time to visit. The service is sharp, the atmosphere is relaxed but elevated, and the food is phenomenal. Highlights: 1) Ricotta Gnocchi with Morels & Vin Jaune — absolute perfection. Pillow-soft, creamy, and rich without being heavy. I could have eaten two bowls. 2) White Bean Hummus with ’Nduja & Pine Nuts — surprisingly one of my favorite dishes of the night. The depth of flavor and that spicy-smoky kick from the ’nduja were unforgettable. 3) Bucatini with Lamb Merguez & Mussels — bold and savory, with just the right spice and texture balance. 4) Gruyère Fritters with Chili & Lime — fun, snackable, and way better than they sound. Almost addictive. The signature chicken (the “Crown Shy Chicken”) was solid but didn’t quite reach the same level as everything else—it’s good, but not the must-order dish here. Dessert: We went for the roasted banana dessert, which was great, but I’ll be back for their famous sticky toffee pudding—everyone raves about it.
Suphian T — Google review
I took my date for their birthday and there sure were surprises! I do highly recommend this place, and have been multiple times, but as outlined below, it was a little rocky this time. First we were seated by the open kitchen, which on first thought, was very cool. Seeing all the action and food getting made and stuff. We were seated at a two-person table. Now first of all, the table was very long 24 inches wide by 36 to 48 inches long, if I had to say. It was very loud in the restaurant so I was leaning into the table to hear, but the table edge is very sharp/square so it was digging into my chest. Then OUT OF NOWHERE, there was a very loud “Yo Ho” / “Heave Ho” masculine-in-unison chanting that came from all of the kitchen staff. The kitchen is open to the restaurant dining area. Picture a Viking-era group of Vikings yelling “Hi! ho!” Or perhaps “Yo, ho” like the staff on the ship in Les Miserables. Or perhaps a “battle hymn / battle cry.” I actually was startled. We each looked at each other from across the very long table. So, I was like “oh my… Must be a special occasion or like “1,000 days accident free” type celebration or something.” Nope. The chanting / yelling / in-unison grunting was every several minutes or so. It was unsettling and starling and interrupted our conversation and was very distracting. Mid thought you would be talking and just be overrun with “HO!” I also couldn’t hear the conversation from across the 36 / 48 inch table. So I turned the table sideways so we could be closer to each other (remember the width of the table was probably only 24 inches). Our waitress came up to us frenetically and said “you can’t do that.” (I had already turned the table, so you technically can do it). I said “it’s like we’re in Les Miserables, there’s yelling and chanting and I can’t hear.” Our waitress said “if you want I can move you to a quieter spot.” I have no clue what the kitchen staff was saying or why they were yelling, I’m sure there’s a technical culinary reason. Us moving, of course, actually ended up being perfect. The manager came over and we were moved to a most perfect corner, far away from the in-unison kitchen chanting. He was very nice about it and even checked in later to see if our experience had improved. Our new waitress, Julia, was fabulous. So attentive and kind and understanding and really honestly talented at her job. Give her a raise please. The Som picked us a most perfect German bottle of white wine, a crisp, mineral driven white, like I’ve never had from Germany before, exactly what we wanted. The food was sublime (must have been all the coordinated kitchen chef chanting). The chicken juicy, the cod fresh, the salad crisp. Desert, divine. They were so understanding of my food allergies and even marked up the menu. Real pro job there. Overall, a superb, superb experience. Just like the last time I was there. There was one mess at the end where I asked for a Tito’s and Club drink for a night cap and they brought Grey Goose. Thank god the bar server said “here’s your Grey Goose.” Because I have a severe allergy to wheat ! Which Grey Goose is made from ! But guys, the open kitchen battle hymn thing, in an extremely loud restaurant with very long tables, was not it. Close off the kitchen or maybe consider reducing the chanting volume. However, we were moved to a great spot and it ended up being perfect. So when you go, request to be away from the kitchen, unless you like that kind of thing, or perhaps don’t want to talk to your partner during dinner. Finally, just a note to ownership / management, the men’s bathroom smells of fungal growth (I’m in commercial real estate, I know). There must have been some kind of water intrusion event and I think you may need to remediate inside the walls or ceilings. Take a sniff, you’ll smell it.

In addition to classic American fare like hamburgers and French fries, Morgenstern’s serves up specialty ice cream made in small batches.
I get the hype now…. I went on a random weekday night and it was still SUPER packed with a line out the door. it moved pretty fast and was definitely worth the wait. The menu on the wall can be overwhelming because they have SOOO many flavors I’ve never even heard of before. I got the banana milk flavor and it was rich and creamy and perfect amount of sweet. You can tell it’s high quality. The staff works fast and tries to make everything be efficient. There’s a bathroom too! Will 100% be back to try more flavors.
Sunny P — Google review
The line was definitely cray, but the ice cream was absolutely delicious and I instantly forgot about the wait upon my first spoonful! We tried the oolong white peach, the Hennessy flavor, the bourbon flavor, and two other flavors and everyone one of us immediately has a smile of delight after trying them. And the scoop sizes were actually pretty big (I'm glad I only got a single). Definitely a great stop for dessert!

Be prepared to wait in line to order and then wait some more to get your ice cream. Best to come here on a weekday. Came here on separate occasions and tried their lavender latte (not pictured), Vietnamese coffee (not pictured), raw milk, durian banana, burnt honey vanilla, and vanilla passion fruit. My favorite of the six was the burnt honey vanilla. Overall good flavors and really crispy waffle cone but would not wait in line for more than 20-30min to order, the ice cream is solid but at some point your time is more valuable Update: came back during an off peak time and tried the pineapple salted egg yolk, this has to be my favorite flavor. The bottom is strawberry yuzu.
Evon S — Google review
Good ice cream, tried two flavours: hibiscus strawberry and pineapple egg yolk. They were good… but not that good. Pineapple one was too sweet, I got a bit sick of it at the end. Hibiscus strawberry was a bit artificial / icey. No samples, one flavour per scoop. Slow service and long line. Maybe we missed the mark on ordering the right flavors, but it was a sup-par scoop for me.
Isabella G — Google review
I would not call this New York City's best artisanal ice cream, but it is pretty good. Especially if you don't mind long lines, employees that don't seem to enjoy their work and probably the highest prices in the city. Note: They offer several types of vanilla, but refuse to provide samples for those of us unfamiliar with the complete product line.
Fred A — Google review
Only one flavour in a small is so cruel. And I have no respect for such behaviours. However… this ice cream slaps. It’s so good. The pineapple salted egg yolk is unreal. Top 5 ice creams I’ve had. The vegan coconut purple rice is really good. I love the fun flavours. So like ya… it’s really good. Earns its pretentious vibes I guess. And the scoops are perfectly round. Like perfect. The menu is long, overwhelming, and confusing. They group by dominant flavour (ie which fruit is in it), and there’s like a million flavours. Be ready to order when you get to the front of the line. There’s always a line. It moves pretty fast.
Cassia A — Google review
The chill hits early—proud signage boasts a “no samples” policy, which is almost as unwelcoming as their rigid “no substitutions” rule. For $14, this sundae was more snowflake than snowstorm—small, underwhelming, and overpriced. Craving a shake? Don’t bother. Most of the machines were frozen in disrepair—three completely out of order, and another clearly limping toward a breakdown. Even the bathroom had thrown in the towel, out of service and as inaccessible as customer flexibility. One has to wonder: how do you serve the public in summer heat without a working restroom? Maybe all those “sample savings” should go toward defrosting basic operations. With warmer, friendlier dessert spots just steps away, this one’s an easy cold shoulder.
T C — Google review
Easily one of the best traditional ice cream shops in Manhattan. But they also have the non traditional flavors. For those experimental, I highly recommend the salted egg pineapple (it’s giving Asian mooncake vibes) or the durian (mind blown).

At Lady M Cake Boutique in New York, dessert takes on a whole new level of sophistication and flavor. Their Mimosa Cake is a stunning creation that redefines vanilla cake with its layers of fluffy sponge and rich golden custard, all elegantly topped with charming cake cubes. This delightful treat is perfect for those leisurely lunches or even enjoyed straight from the box at home.
Got the Amedei chocolate, Earl grey, and sesame slices. Loved the Earl Grey cake and can't stop craving it. Is it expensive? Yes. But if you're visiting NYC, it's def worth treating yourself to a slice.

Always get lady M cake from this branch coz the closest one from me. Straight forward you go in buy the cake and leave. There's no seating inside. Price is on the high end but you get good quality cake. The place is inside next to H&M.
Eva — Google review
Got the six inch signature for a relative visiting from outside US. Not sure if it’s just me or maybe this branch but the cream was so noticeably thick that 3/4 persons noted that it was too thick. For the price I expect Lady M quality. There are a lot of copy cat crepe cakes now a days and they all use too much cream. So disappointed in the quality of the Cake since Lady Ms is one of few desserts in nyc that strives for perfection.
Susan N — Google review
I’m obsessed with these cakes! You’re truly missing out if you don’t try them. They’re not overly sweet, incredibly soft, creamy, and just melt in your mouth. While this place doesn’t serve coffee or have seating, there’s a food court just one floor down via the escalator where you can grab any coffee you like, sit down, and enjoy these amazing desserts. Signature and pistachio are my favorite.
Natallia — Google review
Really really disappointed. I have brought and loved the cakes at Lady M. However I ordered delivery for 3 cakes and the packaging was really upsetting. Due to shoving three cakes into one cake box, the flavors were merged together and the Tiramisu Millie-crepe cake was pressed and tilted. Leaving cream all over the bottom of the box. Which makes me wonder why not just put the Strawberry Millie Feuille in a separate cake box. Overall, not a great visual presentation of the cakes and the brand. I wasn’t really happy when I received the cakes considering the price and the image of Lady M. Almost seemed like homemade cake business.
Dolma D — Google review
Tastes good enough. I tried the signature one but my friend said the best are the green tea and other flavored ones. During covid, no eat-in allowed which makes it a bit difficult since its not something you can just walk eating. I was impressed by the plastic fork that looked exactly like silver fork, giving a more luxurious experience to eat 😂
Marita L — Google review
The in-store experience was amazing, and the cakes were *chef's kiss* unique but also vaguely nostalgic. The Vanilla is beautiful, but the matcha is an experience. 🙌 11/10

Max Brenner New York is a chocolate lover's paradise, offering a wide range of chocolate and related novelties, making it the ultimate dessert destination. The menu features iconic items like the chocolate pizza with melted milk and white chocolate chunks, as well as unique offerings such as chocolate in syringes for true chocoholics. In addition to sweet treats, the restaurant also offers savory options.
Awesome experience and kudos to the staff for being so friendly 15 minutes before closing. In fact the hostess told us they’d be closing soon but we had time to enjoy chocolate fondue because they are open 10-15 minutes beyond closing time. Fabulous customer service and delicious treats. Magical experience.
Kimberly L — Google review
A coworker & I decided to go back to Max Brenner’s for lunch today. Though we almost walked past it. The building is getting a bit of a facelift & is covered by green wooden panels. We split the Mac & cheese as an appetizer & instead of getting our usual burgers we opted to try something new. I went with the waffle cheese steak with waffle fries which was delicious. My coworker went with the chicken schnitzel which unfortunately he ended up not eating more than three bites. He said it was as dry as the desert. When our waiter asked if he needed a box to go he declined & said he didn’t like the dish. The restaurant kindly removed it from our bill even though he said he would pay for it. I had a crème brûlée martini which was amazing. Unfortunately I was too full for dessert. Perhaps next time I’ll skip the appetizer or simply go for dessert one day. If you like chocolate this place is for you.

Walk in Friday night ~9:45p for only dessert, practically no one there (~4-5 tables filled). Time to water ~4 minutes. Ordered Baked Oreo Cookie and Banana Hazelnut Crepe. Sweet, would not recommend solo devouring, must share between 2-4 people/plate imo. Quiet ambiance, easy to talk to. Very very dim, I can appreciate the decour and vibes, more fitting for date than group hangout, could just be me tho 🤷‍♂️ Staff is nice.

I had a great experience at this chocolate bar in Manhattan. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the location is great, and the service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, rich flavors and great presentation. The crepes were a bit too sweet for my taste, but I still enjoyed everything else I ordered. Overall, it was a lovely visit, and I’ll definitely be coming back with friends!
Ainur T — Google review
Came to represent the home country. The food was great but the service wasn’t. We waited long until they came to take our order, then when it arrived (pizza + hot cocoa + pumpkin espresso martini) we asked for chili for the pizza and a little spoon for the hot cocoa. The spoon never arrived, although we asked for it multiple times, and we had to ask for the chili 3 times. The waiters don’t come to you even if you try to call them, so until the chili arrived the pizza wasn’t hot anymore…The food was a little expensive. Probably won’t be coming back. Service in TLV is better

I recommend the Dubai Chocolate Waffle. The portions are big enough to share. I also got the hazelnut chocolate milkshake. It tasted good but the consistency was a bit too thick and it was hard to drink it from the thin straw they provided.

Austrian restaurant
Café Sabarsky is a charming Viennese-style café located on the ground floor of the Neue Galerie in New York. It faithfully replicates the ambiance of traditional Secessionist-era coffee houses found in Vienna, complete with wooden newspaper holders for patrons to catch up on current events.
A lovely lunch stop on the way to the Met. I got a beet salad and my companion ordered a liverwurst sandwich. Both were fresh and flavor-forward, well presented and served promptly. We also got the Adele dessert, a passion fruit and coconut mousse cake. Oh, it was phenomenal balance of rich and light flavors on the tongue. A delectable sweet to set is up for the rest of our art-laden day. The waitstaff was very attentive and we didn't have a problem getting a seat but I could tell there was a line forming when we left. Best recommend a reservation if booking at the traditional meal hour.
Lindsay A — Google review
Typically only walk in only (unless you're a member), but worth the wait! Beautiful sprawling tall ceilings and tiny marble tables. Once you are seated, service is quick and precise. Any of the open face fish sandwiches are a great choice, along with a nice slice of chocolate cake to top off the brunch. Beware, the coffee is VERY STRONG (rightly so), I had to ask for extra steamed milk.
Angel P — Google review
Lovely atmosphere with delicious food! First time having Weisswurst in NYC, they were yummy and my Austrian partner loved his dumpling too. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We didn’t feel pushy even it was a very busy day and there was a long line outside. Wonderful lunch experience!
Jazz C — Google review
I went in the afternoon without a reservation and waited about an hour, but it was totally worth it. The ambiance is elegant and quiet, tucked inside the Neue Galerie, making it feel like a hidden gem just steps away from Central Park. This was my first time trying Austrian brunch, and I was blown away. Everything from the drinks to the pastries to the main dishes was outstanding—fresh, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. I had the Sabarskyteller (Austrian breakfast plate), and it was unlike anything I’ve had before. The Viennese-style coffee was also a highlight. The space itself is cozy but refined, with wood-paneled walls and views of the park, giving it a classic European café vibe. It’s perfect for a slow, relaxed brunch if you're not in a rush. I’d definitely recommend making a reservation in advance, especially on weekends. Overall, Café Sabarsky is a charming spot with top-notch food and an atmosphere that feels both cultured and calming. A must-visit if you’re in Midtown and want something a little different from the usual brunch scene!
Green S — Google review
A slice of Europe tucked inside NYC’s Neue Galerie. Café Sabarsky is truly a gem. I usually stop in for a coffee and dessert, but their food is also lovely. They do get busy and lines are a frquent occurrence, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. The atmosphere can’t be beat and service is consistently good.
Tracy X — Google review
You will travel back to old Vienna and Budapest in this charming, dark wood paneled dining room. The food is classic Austro-Hungarian dishes. Meat, potatoes, noodles and an enormous dessert menu full of goodies. We had the Goulash, Paprikás Chicken, and Sausage with cheese in it plate. Desserts were the Mozart Torte( Pistachio and Chocolate), Sabarsky Torte (Classic Chicolate Cake) and Kaisershmarren ( Torn pancakes with fruit compote). All the food was delicious and the service was incredible. Highly recommended if you're looking for a nice, old school, dinner.
Laszlo V — Google review
I think I like this place. The food isn’t exactly what I’d call refined, but at least they do a great job with their signature dishes. I really enjoy the potatoes that come with the Bratwurst. They’re incredibly tasty, rich but not greasy, and even though they’re a staple, they feel refreshing. In fact, they make the sausage seem a bit less impressive, though the sausage itself still tastes good. I wasn’t a big fan of the Wiener Rindsgulasch mit Spätzle. The meat was tender, but the seasoning just wasn’t to my taste. However, the Spätzle was really good bc the texture was perfect. Butter and cream never fail. The desserts and coffee are also worth a try. The decor of the restaurant creates a charming atmosphere, giving you a pleasant feeling like you’re in a small European spot. People gather around small tables and chat enthusiastically, but it doesn’t feel noisy or overwhelming. During the day, the light coming through the windows is also great for photos. They come out naturally beautiful without any need for editing. Just make sure to come on a nice day, because you definitely don’t want to wait outside for almost half an hour in the freezing wind. It’s the kind of cold that makes your nose run and then freezes it.
Sixi M — Google review
I stopped by Café Sabarsky when I went to see the Klimt paintings upstairs at the Neue Galerie. It was quite busy at the time — there was even a line to get in. The atmosphere is elegant, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered coffee and cake; to be honest, the dessert was just okay, nothing too memorable. I’m not sure how the rest of the menu is, but it might be worth trying other dishes.

Ample Hills Creamery is a popular ice cream shop known for its small-batch, locally sourced ice creams made from scratch in their 15,000-square-foot factory in Red Hook. The shop has expanded rapidly since its humble beginnings as a cart, now boasting multiple locations on both coasts and nationwide availability in supermarkets. Ice cream enthusiasts will appreciate the creative flavors like ooey gooey butter cake, breakfast trash, and the munchies.
This is what it’s all about: an ice cream store with a vision, a mission, a way of being in the world. The ownership changes over time are sad, but its legacy remains strong: wildly delicious flavors that please the mind, the body, and the soul. I always get peppermint patty these days, because it’s so tasty, but I’ve had perhaps a dozen flavors over the years and have never been disappointed. The cherry on top? It’s named for a Walt Whitman line.

Honestly these ice cream flavors are the most genuine tasting ice creams I’ve Ever eaten! The PBJ it’s like the sandwich rolled up in an ice cream ball! The banana pudding was to die for! The captain my captain was literally captain crunch with ice cream perfectly infused! We got the flight and tasted 6 flavors all Of them were great! Will be coming back quite often!!!

I was a huge fan of Ample Hills since it opened and would go semi frequently given I live quite close. However I recently went and discovered that they now only allow you to get one scoop of ice cream in the small size (when half the point was that you could get two different flavors). Not only that, but they raised their prices and they don’t even fill up the cup with the single scoop, there was so much empty space where there could’ve been ice cream. To top it off, when I was regretfully paying for my $8 single scoop of ice cream, the woman at the register stared over at the screen when the tip question came up, which made me feel uncomfortable and pressured to leave a tip. Needless to say, I will be going to Van Leeuwen from now on.

Delicious ice cream. Not as creamy as I’ve had at other places but still as equally delectable. The dark chocolate is so dense and fulfilling, the king of mangoes it irresistibly lucious like I’m literally scooping a frozen mango, and the oatmeal lace is seriously amazing.

Great ice cream with tons of options (24 with 3 vegan), many with mix-ins. Wonderful texture (slightly stretchy), perfect sweetness and robust flavors. Prices are decent ($7 for 2 scoops), with flight being the best deal (6 smaller scoops for $8). They allow sampling. Our favorites were the cotton candy (spirulina so natural color), ooey gooey butter cake and guava. All of them were pretty good.

Taiyaki NYC Japanese Ice Cream is a popular ice cream shop with locations in Chinatown, Williamsburg, and Flushing. They offer soft serve ice cream in fish-shaped cones inspired by traditional Japanese taiyaki pastries. The cones are filled with red bean paste or custard and topped with various treats like mochi cakes and wafer sticks.
My family and I stopped in to this ice cream shop because we wanted something sweet but different while we were visiting Chinatown in New York city. Everyone was very kind while serving us and the Japanese ice cream was uniquely delicious. The fish shaped cone had its own surprised at the very bottom, it was like some sort of custard but it was complimentary to the ice cream. There are a couple of benches for seating while you enjoy your ice cream, it is a small space but doable for about eight people all at once. There is no outside seating available. We would definitely recommend this buisness to anyone who enjoys ice cream because it's unique, delicious and flavorful. Thank you for your kindness, we wish you many years of success and hope to be back in town to enjoy more of your ice cream.

Trendy shop in lower Manhattan. Small store front but really good ice cream, especially on a hot day. The wait isn't long and the staff works quickly. They have a ton of options to pick, and everyone seemed to love their flavor. Not over priced considering how popular they are.

I've been here twice already. I love that they have fished shaped cones. I like the custard flavor better than their red bean flavor. I like the mango strawberry ice cream so I winded up getting it again. This time with my own options, instead of the one on the menu. I tried to get their limited time yuzu flavored ice cream, but the cashier said it was out since the week prior.

Cool little spot in Chinatown to get ice cream treats in one of those cute 'fish shaped cone '. They don't have too many flavors but I got the chocolate tayaki cone with some chocolate syrup on top and a cookie added on top too . Really tasty . Especially on a hot day . This is actually on Baxter street right off Canal . Not too far from Broadway. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Nice place to stop for ice cream if you are in Chinatown area.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhoods of Midtown West and Chinatown, Bibble & Sip is a charming bakery and coffeehouse that has been delighting patrons for about five years. This delightful spot specializes in upscale coffees, teas, and an array of housemade baked goods that are as visually appealing as they are delicious.
Bibble & Sip in the NYC Theater District is a real treat—especially if you have a sweet tooth and a love for creative twists. Their baked goodies are uniquely clever and delicious: I totally fell for the “soup dumpling cake,” which looks like a savory snack but is actually a sweet, fluffy masterpiece. It’s playful, flavorful, and something you won’t find anywhere else. On top of that, their bubble tea menu is solid. The tapioca pearls are perfectly chewy, and the drink balance is just right—not too sweet. It’s a fun break from the usual cafe grind, with helpful staff and a bright, welcoming vibe. Great spot to stop after a show or just to treat yourself to something indulgent and inventive. Highly recommend!

One of my absolute favorite dessert spots in NYC, and truly the best cream puffs you’ll find in the city! Their cream puffs are always incredibly fresh, light, and filled with the most delicious, creamy fillings. I’ve been a fan for a long time, but this year I also tried their mooncake gift box and was blown away. Every mooncake was so beautifully made with creative flavors, soft textures, and creamy, luxurious fillings. You can tell how much thought and quality goes into everything they make. Whether you’re picking up a box as a gift or just treating yourself, this place never disappoints. A must-visit for dessert lovers!

The desserts are so cute! I got the xiao long bao (little basket dumpling), and it was a joy to see green liquid leak out of his cute head after squeezing the pipette. Biting into the smiling face had to be done. No mercy! The basket tasted stale, but the dumpling itself was very, very good. Like a cream puff with extra love making it look nice. Price was fair for NYC. Was able to share it with my bf, & the treat held up its shape/taste in the take-out container for 4 hrs. May visit again.

Got four puffs to share with friends. My favorite is the matcha one. You gotta try it. Oreo one is the least fav. The puff is so crunchy and full of flavor. Not too sweet and very delicious. Early grey is also amazing.

This place was on my list forever, but I didn’t actually go until my friends dragged me there. Honestly, I thought, “It’s just puff, how special can it be?” So I grabbed three (Matcha, Black Sesame, and Earl Grey) and headed to Starbucks to eat them. Then I took one bite… and immediately realized I WAS SO WRONG. These puffs are next-level. The filling caught me off guard—in the best way possible. You can tell the owner isn’t messing around. I instantly regretted only buying three. If you ask me which flavor’s the best? Don’t. Just get all of them and thank me later.
Stephy H — Google review
Service staff were professional and helpful to customers and each other. Line moved quickly. Cream puffs are very very good. I didn't try any non cream puff item but all the cream puffs are good. The inside filling is plentiful and flavorful. It's not just a hint of tea flavor; a flavor that is usually very light in baked goods. The cream is smooth and light but not a whipped cream. Very satisfying overall.

The establishment also features MR All-Day, a 1962 International Harvester truck helmed by renowned pastry chef Camari Mick, offering a delectable menu of sweet and savory treats sourced from local farms.
Absolutely phenomenal culinary experience. And the staff were gracious and accommodating since one person in our party was very late. I ordered an old fashioned- delicious. And we had the omnivore tasting menu - every single dish was mind blowing. We had someone who helped with pairing 2 wines with some dishes and it was divine. If you’re thinking about it just make the reservation and go. My girlfriends and I had an amazing night with some of the best food ever.

The Musket Room continues to be one of our favorite spots in NYC! Three of us had the omnivore tasting menu and one had dietary restrictions, which the team handled with so much care. They even mixed and matched dishes to make sure everything worked, which made the experience stress-free. Jake, our server, was incredible — knowledgeable, attentive, and always ready to point me in the right (and safe) direction. Every course was outstanding, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. This was our 7th year coming here during our annual NYC trip, and the food and service are consistently exceptional. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Tucked behind sleek, glass-framed doors, The Musket Room offers a serene escape from the lively Nolita streets. The interior strikes a harmonious balance between rustic charm and modern elegance, with Danish-style chairs, industrial lighting, and midcentury modern furnishings that create a cozy, lived-in atmosphere. The service is effortlessly attentive—approachable yet well-informed—adding to the warm and welcoming ambiance. Under the guidance of Chef Mary Attea, the kitchen turns out dishes that are as thoughtful as they are inventive. Guests can choose between an omnivore or vegan tasting menu, or select from a flexible range of à la carte offerings. The tasting menu often showcases creative flavor combinations, such as German potatoes paired with razor clams and sourdough breadcrumbs in a rich clam chowder broth, or coarsely ground grits accompanied by savory red-eye gravy, tart huckleberries, and smoky pork jowl. Whether you're seeking a refined dining experience or a more casual evening of shared plates, The Musket Room delivers with grace, flavor, and thoughtful detail.

The vibe is chill and casual, yet perfect for special occasions or simply trying something new with friends, a date, or your partner. The music is at just the right volume and the thoughtful spacing between tables adds a sense of privacy that’s hard to find in the city. The menu offers both omnivore and vegan options, with a variety of dishes bursting with unique and wonderful flavors I had never experienced before. Truly an exquisite and innovative combination of ingredients. My personal favorite was the Kristal Caviar with Artichoke & Egg Yolk — an absolute masterpiece! With a well-deserved Michelin star, this place lives up to the hype. Huge thanks to our server, Jake M, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely lovely — he really went above and beyond to make our night special. Highly recommend, and definitely a place I’ll be returning to!

Didn’t expect to enjoy this meal so much—especially after having what I considered the best meal of my life just the day before. Yet somehow, most dishes here carried a distinct point of view. Not just well-executed, but with a sense of personality I hadn’t quite experienced before. The first thing I loved was the warm, house-made sourdough boule with anchovy butter. I’ve had anchovy butter in pasta plenty of times, but never like this. Simply paired with bread fresh from the oven. The sour tang of the boule played against the anchovy’s deep umami and faint funk in a way that was both rustic and elegant. Then the steak tartare with kumquat, mint, and Aleppo pepper. Tartare is rarely the course that catches me off guard, but this one was different. Zesty citrus from the kumquat, fragrant freshness from the mint, and a gentle heat from Aleppo pepper oil—all framing the tender, subtly seasoned beef. Kristal Caviar with artichoke & egg yolk was a bold move pairing caviar with just vegetables, but it worked. The sharp, tangy quality of the artichoke married well with the salty richness of the Kristal caviar. Unexpectedly balanced with egg yolk adding a touch of creaminess. One of the evening’s most satisfying bites came from a supplement: jamón Ibérico with smoked mussels, potato, and saffron. The jamón had a unique appearance, almost like a delicate, furry jerky, possibly due to mold from the aging process. But the flavor was incredibly layered (likely a result of 12 years of curing). It paired beautifully with the silky potato purée, and while not the most mind-blowing dish of the evening, it was the most satisfying. The lamb course was obviously perfectly cooked, but the highlight was the spring onion purée infused with black garlic. It delivered an intense umami note that quickly settled into a garlicky sweetness. Well-rounded and comforting. Glad I didn’t spring for the wagyu upgrade. The finale was Birch Custard with Mostarda, Sourdough & Fermented Blueberry. Not sure I picked up strong birch earthiness, but the custard had a rich, thick texture and a restrained sweetness. Classic pairing with fermented blueberries, which added tartness and depth.

Had an amazing meal at The Musket Room in NYC! Every dish was thoughtful and full of flavor. Loved the cozy atmosphere too. My favorite part was def the dessert!

Great dining experience. It’s like laid back but upscale at the same time? No nonsense or pretense but just great food and cool people. Loved everyone there. Food’s amazing. I liked the wagyu more than the duck. I don’t like steak tartare but I LOVED the one here. Oh and the bread and butter?!? SO GOOD

The Musket Room was fantastic and I highly recommend it. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing and it definitely earns that Michelin star. They made it such a special evening for us, celebrating our anniversary. It was easy to switch a few items to the vegan menu too, which was also awesome. My favorite dish was the squash from the vegan tasting menu. Impeccable service, great wine, and a couple of pairing cocktails they added in. The atmosphere feels like a cozy, neighborhood spot and not stuffy at all.

Little Pie Company is a no-frills bakery located in Hells Kitchen, NYC, known for its scratch-made pies in three different sizes. The bakery has been a local favorite for over 30 years and is famous for its authentic, from-scratch pies. One of their specialties is the sour cream walnut apple pie. Their Mississippi Mud Pie features a rich chocolate filling made with Belgian chocolate and brownie streusel, topped with a shiny chocolate glaze finish.
Me and my family love the Pies here so far we’ve tried Coconut Banana, unsweetened Pie and Old Fashioned Apple Pie (best choice)Old Fashioned Pie is not too sweet nor less just perfect warm and soft, the service is very good they will take the order to your table and the atmosphere is very nice you get to see how the Bakers make the pies while inside smells delicious! Summer is the perfect time to come and dine.

I always love the smell coming out of this place when I walk by! Their pies are a bit expensive, but that is because it's a gourmet bakery. The quality is definitely high. I also like their little display window that has different decorations depending on the seasons or holidays.

We had the Sour Cream Apple Walnut pie and the Key Lime pie. Both were delicious. The staff was friendly and courteous. Worth a visit if you’re visiting New York.

We stumbled upon this place before heading to see Six, and we’re so glad we did. The staff was friendly and welcoming as we walked in. We ordered the Georgia peach pie and the sour cream apple walnut pie, both recommendations from the staff. I was pleasantly surprised at how much we liked the apple pie, never hearing of a sour cream apple pit before. We were delighted to find this place because the pies were delicious and the staff was as sweet as the pies.

No wonder this place has such a high rating! My family was nearby and decided to grab some pies, and we’re so glad we did. We picked up a small sour cream apple walnut pie, a southern pecan pie, and a plain cheesecake. They pack your pies in secure boxes, making them easy to take to go! As soon as we got home, we warmed up the sour cream apple walnut pie—thanks to the instructions on the box, it was super easy. The pie wasn’t too sweet, and both the crust and the filling were amazing. Honestly, I think this is one of the best apple pies you can get in the city. The cheesecake was also delicious, and I can’t wait to try the pecan pie. Highly recommend getting pies here!

Seriously amazing pies in a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. We had the peach pie with ice cream and the Mississippi mud pie. Loved them both.

This is my favorite bakery of all time! I come here often to get the Applesauce Carrot Cake. There pretty much isn’t anything here that I haven’t tried. Everything is beyond 5 stars every time. I even bought my sister’s birthday cake from here. The Strawberry Shortcake..which may be the best cake I’ve ever had in my life. She is hooked now lol. Just wished they had different sizes for that particular cake but other than that this will always be my favorite bakery to come to. I don’t even go to any other bakeries anymore lol. That’s how much they have spoiled me. Love this place

If heaven were baked into a crust, it would live at the Little Pie Company. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of buttery pastry and slow-simmered fillings hits you like a warm hug. These pies are not just desserts—they’re edible poetry. The classics? Flawless. The apple pie is a masterclass in balance—tart and sweet apples nestled in a flaky, golden crust that shatters just right with every bite. But don’t sleep on the seasonal specials or the savory options (yes, that chicken pot pie deserves its own fan club). Presentation is elegant without being fussy, and the staff clearly take pride in what they do. Everything is fresh, lovingly made, and served with a smile. Whether you’re stopping by for a single slice or picking up a whole pie for a gathering, Little Pie Company delivers the kind of quality that makes you want to write home—or better yet, come back tomorrow.

Maman is a charming café and bakery with a rustic storefront that offers a delightful blend of classic French and American baked goods, along with soups, sandwiches, and salads. The establishment prides itself on serving family-inspired recipes from the south of France and North America, bringing to life both savory and sweet childhood favorites.
Nice place to have some food, coffee, beer, or wine. The pastries are beautifully prepared. They sell nice gift boxes that can be filled with coffee or pastries that make a great gift. There's a garden in the back of shop with plenty of tables.

We discovered a fantastic breakfast spot that totally hit the mark for us! The vanilla cappuccino was simply amazing—it really set the tone for the meal. We also tried their breakfast sandwich, which had egg, bacon, roasted tomatoes, and grilled chicken, and it did not disappoint. The vibe of the place was great, the service was top-notch, and everything we ordered was just perfect. I'm giving this place a solid 5 stars and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast!

I think the setup of the Togo order line versus dine in was a bit confusing upon arrival. One of the workers had to clarify. The freshly baked goods in the window are not included on the dining in menu. Great ambience with a store connected through the backend. Bathroom was very clean and nice. Great pastries, I will definitely go again :)

Such a wonderful spot! The food is absolutely delicious and the coffee is bright and refreshing. I especially loved the ratatouille served in the pan with toasted bread—it was full of flavor and so comforting. The service may take a little time, but the staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel welcome. Definitely worth the visit!

Absolutely loved my visit to Maman! I tried the iced latte, the pistachio chocolate croissant and the mango and passion fruit bun, and they were exceptional. The latte was smooth and perfectly balanced, not too bitter, not too sweet, and the croissant was flaky, rich, and packed with flavor. The pistachio and chocolate combo was a total win. The ambiance is cozy and charming, with beautiful French café vibes that make you want to stay a while. Can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu!

I looove Maman! I’ve been to a few of their NY spots now and every time feels like a little escape. The decor has that rustic French charm with exposed brick and whitewashed walls, vines draped around the windows, and a mix of farmhouse tables for groups and cozy bistro tables for catch-ups. Their coffee, pastries, and sandwiches always hit the spot. Pro tip: don’t plan to bring your laptop here. I showed up ready to get some work done only to realize they’re proudly a no-WiFi, no-laptop zone. At first I was caught off guard, but it does fit the vibe, this is a place for slowing down, chatting, or just soaking in the atmosphere. Overall, it feels like stepping into a Parisian countryside kitchen magically tucked into the middle of NYC. Always a treat and always worth a stop.

Maman is the kind of place that feels like a warm hug wrapped in a French café. We stopped in for breakfast and tried the Smashed Avocado Tartine and Papa’s Breakfast Bowl—both were absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully plated. The tartine was vibrant and satisfying, and Papa’s Bowl was hearty and comforting, the perfect way to start a day of city exploring. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared. The café itself is as lovely as the food—charming, peaceful, and full of rustic, homey details that make you want to stay a little longer. Service was friendly and laid-back, adding to the relaxed vibe. If you’re looking for a spot with fantastic breakfast options and a touch of Parisian charm, Maman is the place.

Minus Celsius Ice Cream, located on Grand Street, offers a unique dessert experience with its Thai ice cream rolls topped with a variety of colorful and delicious toppings such as cookies, berries, and candies. This trend originated in Southeast Asia and has gained popularity in New York City. Despite the closure of many rolled ice cream shops in the city, Minus Celsius remains a standout destination for this delightful treat. The process of creating these hand-rolled ice creams is an interactive experience for customers to witness firsthand.
Great place! The cookie ice cream was so good and fresh! The staff was friendly and made the ice cream really fast. A little pricy but worth it for a sweet treat! I definitely want to come back to try out more flavors. I like that you can add unlimited toppings and the toasted marshmallow was a perfect treat to add on top! Thank you!

I came here for dessert one time and it's a pretty solid spot for rolled ice cream! The interior of the shop is smaller and casual, and service was pretty quick. I got their strawberry rolled ice cream with a couple toppings (they have unlimited toppings), and it was pretty solid. Nothing crazy, but definitely hits the sweet tooth craving.

What a fun way to enjoy ice cream! We tried the rolled ice cream, where they make it in front of you. Fresh, delicious, and fun. We enjoyed it so much. Get the real whipped cream topping!!
Kingston W — Google review
Great ice cream with unlimited wonderful toppings but what stood out to me even more was the visual treat in seeing the ice cream made in front of our eyes. Six different flavor options (taro and matcha as well) and 15 plus toppings. Prices are decent at about $9 per rolled ice cream bowl. Definitely recommend. They do have indoor seating but there could be about a 10 minute wait time since they make it fresh in front of your eyes. The best to watch were there cookies and cream where they break the Oreos in front of you and the strawberry fields where the mix strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries and a cream base. I got the taro which tasted great after waiting about 3 minutes ( It is super cold when served since it is just frozen) and loved the lychee and mochi toppings with the condensed milk drizzle. They have a 4% cash discount as well.

I asked for as many mini mochi as humanly possible on top of my ice cream, and they truly outdid themselves. I had to hold it at an angle, otherwise mini mochi would fall off. I could barely see the ice cream through the mini mochi. Top notch. Was nauseous the rest of the night and the whole next day and will definitely do it again.

Martha's Country Bakery is a cozy bakeshop that offers a variety of old-fashioned cakes, pastries, gelato, and espresso drinks. The classic American treats like red velvet layer cakes, sour cream apple pie, and vanilla cupcakes are best enjoyed with their traditional coffee and espresso beverages. Customers appreciate the delicious desserts and friendly staff. The bakery is known for its perfectly balanced cakes that are not overly sweet, allowing customers to enjoy multiple slices without feeling overwhelmed by sugar.

I recently stopped into Martha’s Country Bakery in Astoria and tried a few desserts. I had the Vegan Carrot Cake ($9.75 per slice), the Nutty Apple Cheesecake ($7.95), and the Pecan Cheesecake Bar ($7.95). The cheesecakes were absolutely incredible—rich, creamy, and easily some of the best I’ve ever had. That said, the price point felt a little steep for a single slice/bar, especially compared to other bakeries in the area. The Vegan Carrot Cake, on the other hand, was a bit of a letdown. The cake itself was decent, but the icing lacked that classic cream cheese flavor that really makes carrot cake shine. It felt like it was missing the signature element that makes the dessert so memorable. Overall, it’s a nice spot if you’re looking for some excellent cheesecake and don’t mind paying premium prices. For me, it landed in the middle—great quality in some areas, but not consistent enough across the board to rate higher

Not recommended. Berry Napoleon - the puff layer was so soft and soggy. Didn’t expect to have a soggy napoleon and was so disappointed. I was looking for a crunchy one. Ekmek - the kataifi at the bottom was very soggy. Expected to have a crunchy kataifi layer but was disappointed as well. Pecan Cheesecake - pecan was not crunchy. Taste of cheesecake was okay.

Nestled in the vibrant Lower East Side of Manhattan, Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery has been delighting dessert enthusiasts since its inception in 2003. This charming bakery is a haven for cupcake lovers, offering an array of flavors that include the classic Sunshine Cupcake with its delightful vanilla cake and buttercream frosting. Beyond cupcakes, visitors can indulge in cookies, banana pudding, and even vegan options.
I picked up 20 Vegan cupcakes (3 different flavors) for a small event I was having for my husband’s birthday. I order the fully chocolate, the black/white cupcakes and plain vanilla. The cupcakes were delicious and everyone loved them. Mind you I’m the only Vegan and wanted to see how people felt about them before sharing they were Vegan. I will definitely be ordering from them in the near future. Lastly, the employee that handed me the order on Friday evening, he seemed really nice and bubbly!

Chloe — Google review
Friendly staff, pretty cool variety of pudding flavors, of which you can get one free small spoon taste (sweet stuff!). Cupcakes also not bad to very good, although best to ask them which are the freshest, as I think a pistachio I bought and ate right after purchase was noticeably a little drier than what I think good cake should be, vs a chocolate one also from that same day that I ate 48 hours later (amazingly surviving through plane flights). I didn’t ask if they were baked at the same time, but the man did mention that if I came back the next day, a new batch wouldn’t be ready til 3 or 4pm, which is why I bought that evening instead.

This place is amazing! I called the morning-of needing a vegan chocolate cake big enough to feed 10 people for later that night. The cake was ready in a few hours and it was DELICIOUS. They seriously helped me out and I will definitely be coming back to try new flavors (and ordering in advance this time lol)

Love this place. Love the fact I can have vegan cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies here. Coffee (we’re talking classic brew here) and tea for $1,- is a wonderful add-on to all the sweetness. Various yummy-looking desserts (you’ll have to try them for me😉). Moved to Grand street, it’s more visible and accessible. Now get over here and have yourself a sweet time🩷
Madeleine L — Google review
Ran over to this bakery for some sweet treats just before they closed. I’ve been dying to taste the pistachio cupcakes and pound cake. I ended up ordering 2 pistachio cupcakes and 1 lemon cupcake ( they were closing and didn’t have enough time to decide). Upon tasting all the cupcake I will say I thought it was all just OK. Good but just ok. I didn’t like the sprinkles and glitter added to each of the cupcakes and I wasn’t a fan of what tasted like marshmallow icing on the pistachio cupcakes. Now the lemon cupcake was great. More my cupcake speed minus the sprinkle and glitter. I can definitely go for another lemon cupcake sometime in the future. There is a pudding refrigerator in the back with really nice layers of flavor that I’d love to try on another visit . The bakery doesn’t have a lot of seating and the staff are really nice. The pricing is also reasonable for the city. I will try to return soon.

I came here in my childhood days for their renowned banana pudding and didn't think I'd end up visiting again for an entirely different request so many years later. Update (8/16): went with the ooey gooey today and was not disappointed. Also had a chance to visit the new(ish) location on Grand (note that it moved last September from its Rivington St location). And a blessing to see both co-owners in the shop today! *** I am so happy I stumbled upon this wonderful bakery at least ten years ago. While I lived in the City, I trekked down to the Lower East Side often just to get what I consider the best cupcake in NYC: Sugar Sweet Sunshine's spicy pumpkin. The bakery is appropriately named, as it fills you with happiness and the food equivalent of sunshine. The cupcakes - unlike most of the famous ones in the City - will remind you of the ones that moms used to make for birthday parties while we were all in primary school. The women who own this spot are true gems, and I'm so happy to see it still thriving. Go support it, and you will not be disappointed.

Located in Red Hook, Steve's Authentic Key Lime Pie has been specializing in their signature product for over 20 years. Their key lime pies are made with 100% fresh-squeezed key lime juice, ensuring an authentic and delicious flavor. The pies come in various sizes including gluten-free options and the unique Swingles, which are mini-tarts dipped in Belgian chocolate. Only two commercial bakeries in the US use freshly squeezed key lime juice, and Steve's is one of them.
Wanted to try this place for the longest time, finally got to! It was pretty good and delicious! The person taking our order was sweet and lovely (young Latinx man with glasses). We got the single serve pies and the limeade. There’s picnic benches outside so you can eat with beautiful views of NY harbor nearby (perfect for warm weather days). Expect a line (but it moves fairly quickly).

Absolutely delicious key like pie, great spot. You are basically taking it to go and either eating on the picnic tables or taking it home. The pie is excellent, and available in personal size or larger pies. Their crust is a blend of professionally perfect and hometown rustic. The texture of the key lime custard I would put up against a Michelin star restaurant. They keep it natural with just the right amount of sweetness. We brought ours home and topped each wedge off with a nice dollop of whipped cream and lime zest. Must try.

Tried the “famous” key lime “pie” on a stick with chocolate and raspberry. Honestly, it was just OK. Three bites and it was gone, and the actual key lime flavor barely showed. But there was a weird aftertaste that lingered way too long. Long line out the door, but probably more about Instagram hype than substance. Not worth the wait, and I wouldn’t go back.

Rating: 7.5/10 Date Last Visited: 9/6/2025 We ordered the Raspberry Chocolate Swingle ($9.50) and La Victoria Swingle ($9.50). The swingles are individual servings of key lime pie dipped and coated in chocolate. The raspberry swingle was delicious - there was a good balance between the raspberry jam and key lime pie plus chocolate. It tasted exactly like what you would expect a chocolate dipped key lime pie to taste like. The La Victoria had a spicy kick to it, and I personally was not a fan. It’s takeout only but the surrounding area has nice views. Overall, if you’re a fan of key lime pie and chocolate, this place is worth a visit.

Steve's Key Lime Pie has a lot of hype around it and a line to match, but the line moved fast. I am giving it a three because while the pie and Limeaide I had were good, when it comes to Key Lime Pie I just prefer something more tart. I want a key lime pie where the tartness hits you in the face just a little bit. Glad I finally went, won't be rushing back.

Supermoon Bakehouse, located in the Lower East Side, is a bakery that has gained popularity for its innovative and visually stunning pastries. Co-founded by Ry Stephen of San Francisco's Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, this bakery offers a unique selection of croissants, donuts, and cruffins (croissant-muffin hybrids). The croissants are described as having a distinctive appearance with rounded corners and a glossy sheen.
Not your typical bakery. I've gotten boxes in the past and I do think their pastries are top notch. I was in the area and stopped in becase I heard there was a summer elote croissant. Good, but I do wish the corn flavor was stronger. The place is not like any other bakery - more lab-like than inviting. The five stars are for my memories of what I remember being one of the better croissants in NYC.
Lisa W — Google review
Supermoon Bakehouse has a very edgy trendy interior mixed with such unique flavor combinations which is what drew me here in the first place. My friend and I had a hard time deciding what to get because everything seemed so interesting. We went with the strawberry matcha croissant, Banana pudding cruffin, and white Sesame, honeycomb & sweet soy gelato. We started by tasting the gelato which wasn't as punchy in flavor as we had hoped. The banana cruffin had great banana custard filling but we wished the textural difference between the pudding and the crisp croissant was more drastic. The matcha strawberry croissant was my personal favorite. ACTUAL matcha flavor which is hard to find nowadays and the croissant was so buttery and held its own against the sweetness of the strawberry! After trying everything else and the gelato melted a little the flavors popped out more! Definitely give this place a shot if you want to try new and interesting flavors!!

I love creative bakeries like this, who don't settle for the ordinary and try the daring. I gave their chilli croissant and the ube eclair a try. The chilli croissant had a nice flaky texture, as you would expect from any good bakery. The chilli cream cheese was inserted in the middle of the croissant, which meant it wasn't evenly distributed. The flavours were nice though and it's worth trying for something different. The ube eclair was done well. The choux pastry was just right. The uber icing and ube centre was just the right level of sweetness, with little candy pieces decorated on top, giving a nice crunchy texture. It was certainly the highlight. Would definitely recommend stopping by to try their creations. Not cheap, but it's all about the art.

Got the spicy nyc croissant (savory, not really spicey, has cream cheese inside with hints of black pepper), and scallion pancake Danish (i like this savory croissant, not spicey, has nice crunch texture, very good, would get this again) Thai tea eclair also very good, tasty, taste just like Thai tea 😁 I was able to sit inside, limited seating. Also it gets busy, so go early, things could sell out and they will post a sold out label in front of the items. I don't go often, but every time I come here there's always a variety of pastries to choose from sweet to savory and all good and worth trying.

Admittedly, social media brought me here, but—unlike other TikTok inspired food journeys—this was well worth it. I see some of the reviews touch on the brutalist architecture of the store, and I understand if that’s not your vibe but I personally loved it: I felt like I was in some video game or sci-fi 80s movie that involved dark warehouses and hidden pastries… although the pastry isn’t hidden: a lineup of croissants, eclairs, cookies and more are displayed along the counter and the very pleasant (and patient) pastry experts behind the counter and very sweet about helping you make a choice. I went with the ube eclair, which is probably the best eclair I’ve ever had. All of their treats are very pretty, but this one has an equally vibrant purple filling and the flavors were the perfect balance of buttery, salty, creamy and sweet. Fully intend on returning because I almost went for the Thai tea eclair and now I want it more.

Finally made a point of visiting this high performance bakery. Very spartan concrete & steel space with the functioning bakery behind a red toned industrial polyurethane curtains. All available items are placed on a 16’ stainless steel island. A little over 20 items were displayed on my visit from ice cream sandwiches to sweet pastries to baguette sandwiches for take away. I chose the passion fruit custard donut, mango lime custard donut, Thai iced tea bi-color croissant, ube éclair along with one scoop of Thai iced tea and Kaya toast gelato & a scoop of sesame honeycomb and sweet soy gelato in a cup. The gelato texture was quite excellent and the flavor was certainly unique and rich. I enjoyed them both. We saved the pastries for an after dinner dessert. The flavor of the passion fruit custard donut & ube éclair were absolutely exemplary. The mango/lime custard donut was very tasty as well. The croissant was larger than most due to the luscious Thai iced tea custard lurking within! All the pastries were filled abundantly! The two gentlemen at the island were all smiles & clearly confident of all the offerings. They were knowledgeable & helpful too. The items are expensive but that’s more a statement of the quality ingredients & labor intensive demands of each handmade product. I highly suggest a visit. It is a very worthwhile trip.

Talk about cool…. This place gives retro-futuristic vibes, like I could see a robot serving up the orders but also an actual really cool human waitress. The customer divide was nice and the pastries were even better. I do not like eclairs at all - or so I thought. The Thai tea eclair was soooo good. I also got the strawberry matcha latte croissant and it was divine. The strawberry flavor alone was so delicious like strawberry milk. I love how they were sold out of things but still had a good selection left by the end of the day and it wasn’t stale. Will definitely be back here. It’s not your average bakery

Unfortunately did not have the greatest experience. Got 2 ice cream sandwiches which came to about $24 and the ice cream was melting before even opening the packet. They did add seating in the front so we were able to sit and eat there but it was a mess since the ice cream was essentially soup. There also wasn’t enough staffing to do the work in the back and mind the front so they weren’t helpful with quality control, we ended up asking for spoons because it was spilling out the of package and onto the table. Taste wise, the sandwich part was great, just wish we got to experience it as it was meant to be.

Nestled on the vibrant Delancey Street, Petee's Pie Company is a delightful gem in the Lower East Side that beckons pie lovers with its irresistible aromas. This charming little shop combines modern flair with vintage charm, creating an inviting atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Co-owned by chef Petra Paredez, Petee's specializes in a variety of pies made from locally sourced ingredients, offering everything from classic favorites like nesselrode and mince to unique Norwegian-inspired treats.
Chocolate Tart stole the show! Omg I ate half of it in one serving and if I hadn’t paced myself I would have finished it all in one go! The apple pie was equally as delicious. The strawberry rhubarb was a family favorite. Definitely worth visiting!

As a NYC foodie, I’ve tasted my way through countless bakeries—and Petee’s Pies is in a league of its own. The crust is crusty with that perfect New York bite: golden, buttery, and just the right amount of flake. The tart cherry is bold and bright, the cheesecake is perfectly creamy, and the peach?- Pure summer in a slice. Every pie tastes like it was made with love and the best ingredient. This is a true hidden gem worth crossing boroughs for. I’ll be back!

I do like my wild blueberry crumble a lot and I intend to buy another slice tomorrow. The crust was very crunchy and the fillings were not too sweet and just the right amount versus the flour. The base was nicely constructed and did not feel too heavy.

This pie spot in Delancey is their perfect spot for some cozy pie. When you walk-in, it smells absolutely heavenly. The inside of the shop has limited seating and is mostly made for grab-and-go. They also have a variety of pies on display, but you can get slices in little boxes to enjoy! I got their seasonal blueberry and apple pies, and they were both delicious. I thought the apple pie was a bit too sweet for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed the blueberry one. Not normally the biggest fan of pies, but these were good!

We recently ordered a whole NY sour cherry pie for the July Fourth. It was our dream cherry pie! Not too sweet--the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness. Topped with vanilla ice cream it was sublime! The crust was flakey and stayed delicious next day. Delivery was on time, they communicated promptly, and the pie arrived in the perfect shape. Will order again for sure!!!

I must say the best new type of pie I have ever tasted is the Guava Marscapone poe. It is simply delicious and perfect texture to cream to crust ratio. I just fell in love eith a pie that isnt my staple everyday pie. I will be buying the whole pie, because this pie is worth it. I'm sorry my current photo isnt the pie but OCT. 9th I will update my photo collection with the whole pie insyead of a slice!

Ordered two slices via DoorDash for a lil treat to my hotel. They arrived quickly and well packaged. The Maine blueberry slice was sooo good but really messy. I loved the crust! The chocolate chess was good as well, but not as good as others I’ve had in the past. The blueberry slice was surprisingly my fave

The shop is very cute and nostalgic!! The staff is so friendly and very helpful my sister and I couldn’t decide on what flavors we wanted and they allowed us to try several different flavors and they didn’t rush us. Every flavored we tried was delicious but we both got a scoop of Cookie Monster I mixed mine with peanut butter pudding and she mixed her Cookie Monster with cotton candy and we were both satisfied with our flavors.

This is an absolutely legendary establishment, an establishment for the ages, with all sorts of cereal boxes and souvenirs decorating the walls, and ice cream tubs filled with unusual delights. The lox is famous, but they also have Cheez-It churro, Toblerone, and yes, a bevy of cereal flavors. So much to love. If every ice cream place was this inventive, we ice cream fans would be in real trouble.

Max & Mina’s on Main Street is a true staple of Kew Garden Hills. This place has been around for years, and every time I come back, it brings me right back to the old days of going here as a kid. Their ice cream is one-of-a-kind, with so many creative and delicious flavors that you won’t find anywhere else. On top of that, the cookies they bake fresh at the location are amazing warm, chewy, and the perfect pairing with a scoop of ice cream. The inside has such a fun vibe too, with cool wall décor that makes it feel unique and welcoming. It’s simple, but in the best way the kind of spot that feels like home and holds so many neighborhood memories. If you grew up in Queens, chances are you’ve been here, and if not, you’re missing out on one of the best local gems around.

Walking thru OysterBay after dinner tonight and something caught our eyes. Max and Mina's so we stopped in and we were blown away. The staff was amazing and the flavors are even better... But as an older couple, the WOW factor was the decor. It felt like I was transported to memories of our childhood of the 60s & 70s and then some. Was incredibly lucky to meet and chat with Bruce and share some stories about Bryce Canyon and my experience wrapping. We were in the right place at the right time and got to meet Michael Albert. An amazing person and very talented artist who was so generous with his time and work. The place is like the most fun memories and ice cream that is as unique as the people that deliver smiles one scoop at a time.

Comfortland is a cozy spot in Astoria, Queens, known for its colorful decor and delicious comfort food. From breakfast burritos to the popular McGruffin Biscuit Sandwich, this place has something for every scrambled egg enthusiast. The menu also features creative items like donut fried chicken sandwiches and Nashville hot chicken ramen. Although it's a spinoff of the beloved Queens Comfort, Comfortland has quickly made a name for itself with its tasty offerings.
Ah yes, my death row meal. Comfortland simply cannot be beat. From breakfast to lunch to ice cream to donuts to Super Bowl catering to multi course brunches, they really can do no wrong. Fried chicken sandwiches are the main event, with weekly specials on rotation. My latest favorite is the lemon pepper sandwich box and you can’t go wrong with the classic fried chicken sandwich, chicken biscuit buddy or the freaky Friday Big Mac style sandwich. The service is also a highlight of this place, you can feel the joy they get from serving up Astoria. Don’t forget to get your joke from Avatar before finishing your order. I don’t think I’ve gone anywhere as much as Comfortland in the last 6 years and I won’t be slowing down. This is one of my favorite places to show off to anyone visiting Queens with the warning that you won’t be hungry for dinner after! Keep it up guys

We're definitely coming back to Comfortland and next time we're bringing the whole family.

If you’re feeling hungry, you’ve got to try this place! Chill with friendly vibes, true to its name, this place serves up comfort food at its best. The menu had so many great sounding options (Captain Crunch French toast!?), I went with one of their signatures - their chicken, bacon and egg biscuit and it was perfect! The chicken was tender and full of flavor and the combo just hit the spot! Got a side of tater tots and I was stuffed. I’ll be back!

🚨 Comfortland Report 🚨 40-09 30th Ave, Astoria, NY – aka the place where diets go to die and happiness comes served on a plate. Started off light (😂) with Chopped Cheese Empanadas—yeah, New York classic but make it portable. 🔥 Then came the tater tots with parmesan + truffle oil… listen, if you haven’t had tots fancy enough to wear a tux, you’re missing out. Then the Dropkick Murphy sandwich straight-up hit me like a chair at a wrestling match: 2 fried eggs, bulgogi beef, tots INSIDE the sandwich, melted cheese, all on a Kaiser roll. 🤯 That’s not breakfast, that’s a life choice. But wait, the Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich—bro, they DUNK the chicken in sauce. Not drizzle, not brush… full baptism. 🔥🥵 Hands down, the BEST chicken sandwich in Queens. Game. Changed. And because my self-control filed for early retirement, I finished with the Rainbow Cookie Crumb Cake—layers of jam, crumbs, and pure chaos. Queens-level comfort food, no apologies. Comfortland is weird, fun, and doesn’t believe in “small portions.” It’s not a restaurant, it’s an event. 💪🍔🍰 #Comfortland #AstoriaEats #QueensFoodie #ChoppedCheeseGlowUp #FoodThatDropkicks #NashvilleHeat #CheatDayDoneRight

Rating: 8/10 Date Last Visited: 8/10/2025 I ordered the Freaky Friday ($14). The chicken sandwich is a remake of the Big Mac, but with fried chicken instead of beef patties. The idea is creative and the execution was quite flawless. The chicken was fried very well, the bun was crispy, and the cheese and lettuce represented the Big Mac image well. However, it was hard to eat practically since there’s no way you can bite all of it at once, so I split it into two sandwiches but one only had one bun. The taste is great too; not the best chicken sandwich I had, but definitely a solid sandwich. The rest of the menu seemed pretty creative and this is a nice spot for sandwiches. Overall, I would recommend considering the price and taste.

Amazing food! We went for first time the other day and instantly went back the next day. Couldn’t stay away. In the summertime we always see huge crowds in their outdoor area and been meaning to give Comfortland a try. Only disappointment is how our waistlines will change now that we’ve experienced its goodness. We got the Voodoo Tiger (DELICIOUS), the Graceland (delicious with sweet/spicy kick), chopped cheese empanadas, the Snack Wrap XL, and regular tater tots. Voodoo Tiger and Graceland were stand outs- so tasteful and delicious. They are solid portions though so we were filled! Best things about this place is the charm. The food is good, interior cozy and local, but the staff are even better. We got a joke with every purchase and continued to watch others get jokes at the register too. It’s a small place but consistently bustling; they even bring the food directly to you. We love this place!

This review is solely based on the quality of the cookies. The people working there were nice and friendly and have absolutely no issues with them. The cookies just seemed to be cooked more well done which isn't what I like. I get it. They are making thousands of cookies per day and I come in around 9pm looking for a snack. Eight Turn Crepe is a popular spot known for its delicious and visually appealing Japanese crepes. These thin pastries are made from a mixture of flour, egg, milk, butter, and a pinch of salt and can be enjoyed with various toppings such as syrup, lemon juice, whipped cream, and fruit spreads. The menu offers a wide range of sweet and savory options including the Tokyo twin crepe. Customers can choose from Japanese flavors like lychee valentine or classics like strawberry banana.
I always stop by Dekalb Market Hall after shopping at Trader Joes, and the crepes from Eight Turn Crepe is the perfect sweet treat to finish my grocery run. They have a variety of sweet and savory crepes to choose from, including creme brûlée crepe, Harajuku fruit crepe, and even Philly cheesesteak crepe! You’re also welcome to customize your own crepe with different fruits/proteins, drizzles and toppings. Each crepe is freshly made right in front of you, made with 100% gluten free rice flour. It is basically happiness rolled into a cone. *Strawberry Nutella Crepe $12 A classic crepe flavor that could hardly go wrong. It was filled with a generous spread of Nutella, chocolate custard, whipped yogurt, and slices of fresh strawberries. Sweet, chocolatey, fruity. We were absolutely amazed by the paper-thin and slightly crispy crepe. *Matcha Stripe Chocolate Crepe $13 A combination of strawberries, matcha custard, whipped yogurt, chocolate truffles, finished off with chocolate drizzle and a sprinkle of crushed hazelnuts. While the matcha was overpowered by the chocolate flavor, I did enjoy the velvety and rich truffles studded between the crepe layers.

I found Dekalb market hall on Instagram. This food hall was worthy of my visit. I had some snacks, this crepe counter was pretty tasty, I chose my own ingredients, lychee, mango, Nutella chocolate custard, pistachios, hazelnuts, dulce de leche plus cinnamon powder, the mango was a bit raw though. 13 bucks were a great deal to have varieties of flavors. I spent hours in this location, it was close to Target, Primark and Whole Foods market. I didn’t realize Wegmans was quite nearby, I went all the way there again.

I like how you can create your own crepe and it allows you to put so much toppings on it. The crepe is a little pricey but it was pretty big. Fan Fan Doughnuts is a classic shop that offers artisanal donuts baked on-site in small batches, along with coffee and tea. It was opened by Fany Gerson, an acclaimed pastry chef and cookbook author who introduced her newest spot in the same location as her previous shop, Dough.
First time visiting. Stopped by at about noon, they had a rack of fresh donuts and I could smell more cooking in the back. The woman behind the counter was very sweet and explained the special flavors to me. I got the classic glazed, the choc choc, and the vanilla diplomat cream. All three were absolutely delicious. They use real vanilla bean - you can see the little speckles, and you can taste the difference. The chocolate donut was made with good quality chocolate as well, I could tell from the flavor. All three were soft and fresh and yummy. The cream donut had a generous helping of cream (sometimes places but way too little, but this one was perfect). They had a good selection of drinks and a little area with pantry things for sale as well. The prices were very reasonable considering the high quality ingredients they're using - my entire order was only $13. I'll definitely be coming back regularly.

Love these light & fluffy doughnuts so much! They always have fun & unique flavors. Not to mention, they use super fresh & high-quality ingredients. One of our absolute family favorites is the White Coffee which pairs exceptionally with a hot coffee or cold brew. Our favorites so far this year are the Lemon Blueberry Croissant Beignet (lemon curd folded with fresh whipped cream), Raspberry Lemongrass (little sweet-little tart) & Rosita Fresita (milk chocolate mousse) Please keep in this in the menu forever! I hope the owners open another location in Park Slope or Gowanus! It would make us very happy! *They have rotating seasonal menus with soft serve ice cream & paletas from their sister company, La Newyorkina.

We had the blackcurrant raspberry and white chocolate donuts. The frosting is good, not too sweet. I wasn't a fan of the texture though. I’m so impressed by these donuts — they taste like a lot of care was put into the recipe R&D process. I tried the mango passion donut, which was huge, fluffy, and fresh. The glaze was the best I’ve ever had. It somehow tasted creamy, and had a similar effect to a cream filling inside the donut, and all the mango and passion fruit flavors were pronounced and balanced. The horchata was also super unique! Had a very spiced flavor to it. The lady working the counter was also incredibly sweet :) Looking forward to coming back!

Lovely sponge-y donut base and the glazes are incredible! We got 4 and each was extremely flavorful and distinct: Mango Lassi, Luna Limón, La Donna (Black Currant & Raspberry Glaze), and White Coffee, which was my favorite! The other three were also delicious, but I found myself closing my eyes after each bite, savoring it. I did get the glaze stuck on my fingers and then on my arms a couple times, once from the box cover 😂 Next time, I'll ask for a fork.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Fan Fan Doughnuts** I *just* stumbled upon this place while out on a walk and—oh my god—how have I lived this long without knowing about it?! The *moment* I walked in, the smell hit me like a warm, sweet, buttery hug from the heavens. I knew I was in trouble. Let’s talk doughnuts. I ordered: 🍩 **Mango Lassi** – Bright, tangy, tropical perfection. 🍩 **The Danny Boy** – Salted brown butter caramel glaze… excuse me?! *SHUT UP!* 🍩 **Passion Mango** – This one? HOLY GOD. Heaven. Heaven. And more heaven. 🍩 **Raspberry Lemongrass** – Tart, fragrant, magical. Every single one of these doughnuts *personally informed me* that I’ll be coming back. And they’re right. This place is *the devil*—and I mean that in the best way possible. How is it even LEGAL for something to taste this good?! They need to stop. Actually, no they don’t. But maybe they should. BUT DON’T. 😈 Service? Amazing. Atmosphere? Smelled like a dream. Overall experience? I left possessed by doughnuts. Shoutout to whoever’s behind these recipes—y’all are out here committing sugar sorcery. 10/10 will risk my health again. Fan Fan, I’m yours now.

**** Please read caution below*** We began our meal by ordering the Garlic Babka—so good we ordered a second! I had the short rib pappardelle, which was flavorful with tender meat and a rich, delicious sauce. My husband ordered the filet mignon with the cacio e pepe ravioli. While the ravioli was excellent—rich and perfectly cooked—the steak itself wasn’t as tender as expected and was slightly overcooked for his medium-rare request. For dessert, we shared the lemon cheesecake. The presentation was creative and fun, and the flavor didn’t disappoint—light, tangy, and satisfying for two to share. ************* Beware ********** One strange moment during our meal: a manager stopped by our table to chat, then said, “Let me bring you something.” He returned with filet mignon meatballs, which were indeed tasty. However, we were surprised to find they’d been added to our bill. Since we hadn’t ordered them ourselves, we assumed they were a complimentary gesture. Being charged for them left us feeling misled, which put a damper on an otherwise enjoyable dinner. Follow up, we flew home and sent an email and we still haven’t received a response. This is very unprofessional. There are other Italian restaurants to dine at that don’t serve unordered food and charge you for it.

Honestly I love the place. The service and staff are the sweetest and so attentive. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday and they gave a hand drawn birthday card. Who does that? So thoughtful! Coming to food the desserts are a MUST TRY. The lemon cheesecake is sooo good and so aesthetically pleasing. The churros arrived hot so i liked it hot and light. The tiramisu ice cream is good but not my fav. The sorbet was soo good. The garlic babka is also well made, I recommend. Had the lobster scampi special which was light and flavorful too.

This place was amazing!!! Made reservations online and were seated right away with no issues. We ordered the roasted garlic babka, spicy gem caesar salad, dressed big rock oysters, short rib pappardelle, rock shrimp chitarra, lemon cheesecake, and the tiramisu ice cream cake. It was all phenomenal! The service was amazing even though they were busy, they even added a third complimentary dessert (napoletana) which was also spectacular. I highly recommend this place, so cute and good vibes!

We went last night with to Bad Roman due to the hype this place has. I am going to be as fair as possible, and honestly, everything that I am going to write is for them to improve, because the restaurant has immensely potential. Let’s start from the very beginning. We approach the host podium asking if there was a table available for two (we did not have reservation) although we understand that people generally need a reservation to have a better experience (specially in New York) we believe that the hostess could have been more welcoming. When we asked her about options she simply said No tables but you can seat at the bar, she showed us the way without even walking us. We decided to accept and seat there even though all the tables in the bar area were dirty with dead glassware and crumbs. We were confused about how the service was going to be so we asked her one more time if someone will take care of us or we were responsible for going to the bar and place our own order; she said someone will be there. The serve/bartender comes, offered us water but once again, we did not feel welcomed… we felt that it was annoying to him to have people sat there while he was behind the bar, which I understand, I personally believe that that section should have its own server to ensure a great experience, but we could see that no one care about that section, no one reset them, the hostess keeping seating people on dirty tables, the floor of the bar area was full of paper napkins, it was just a mess that section. We ordered cocktails, we had some questions and our server was very knowledgeable, he put us in the right direction, and we really appreciated that. The cocktails were really good, refreshing, perfect balance between the mezcal and limoncello. We started with the Cesar salad with I highly recommend, the dressing was just exquisite and the anchovies present in the dressing did not feel too much. It was a little spicy which makes the salad super dynamic and I love the ciabatta crumbs which made it extra crunchy. We also ordered the Salmon crudo which was okay… nothing super exiting, it comes with slices of spicy peppers which combined can enhance the dish. Then for our second course we had the shrimp chitarra pasta and the cappelletti with Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts is a MUST to have, wow, roasted to perfection, crispy, sweet and a little spicy, simply yummy. Both pastas were phenomenal, the shrimp chitarra was an explosion of flavors with that touch of spiciness that we love. The cappelletti did not disappoint, the balsamic on top gives it a touch of sweetness that truly pairs exquisitely with the pasta. For our entre we order the pork chop which was simply cooked phenomenal, it was tender, juicy, with butter in top to enhance the texture and give it an even more irresistible flavor. Towards our journey I have to say that our serve improved, he was more attentive, offered to change our plates, and he was more attentive to us. When it was time for him to leave, he introduced his coworker and I have to say that I personally want to congratulate him (is the one who wears glasses) I could easily tell that he has a lot of experience, he interacted with us in a very organic, authentic, and sympathetic way, offered amazing recommendations for dessert and gave us two little drinks (I think the drinks were made of Prosecco and strawberry) they were so tasty. We followed his recommendation and we ordered the chocolate cake and WOW! What a delicious dessert, it was smooth, the combination between the cake, the ice cream and the touch of olive oil is a party you don’t want to miss. My only criticism with the dessert is the presentation, honestly the cake was served poorly… it was not inviting visually, the cake is PHENOMENAL and the presentation does not say that, the way is served says DELI CAKE, and that’s something that you definitely want to fix. In conclusion, we had a good time but I feel that we had it because we decided to ignore all this things that could have sent us off, but we were close to find another place.

So hard to choose a place in the city with so many options- but this one was a winner! For starters we tried the Cesar Salad, the sirloin meatballs, the garlic babka, their signature Roni cups and the shrimp cocktail. All were yummy but the prawns were the star with the best cocktail sauce I've ever tasted! The Roni cups were worth skipping. For our main dish we chose the short rib pappardelle and the veal Milanese. Both were delectable with fresh ingredients. The Brussels sprouts were browned to perfection with a glaze. For desert we tried the blood orange sorbet, the tiramisu ice cream cake, the chocolate tart with gelato and the lemon cheesecake. All were good. I'd skip the chocolate tart with gelato next time. We highly recommend the blood orange sorbet and lemon cheesecake(for presentation). Service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was warm, cozy and fun! Highly recommend!

Love the design of this place it is so fun and they have cool matches. The Garlic Babka is unbelievable I could order 5 of them and eat that as my meal. Short Rib Pappardelle was pretty tasty. Cousin got the burger which I didn’t try but they said it was delish. I did try the fries tho and they were really really good. Need to go again and get that lemon cheesecake i regret not trying it!!

I celebrated my anniversary here with my hubby. It was our first time dinning here, we’d definitely go back. Food was delicious and atmosphere was very classy and energetic! The pull-apart parm is a must try and the lemon cheesecake! Shoutout to our waiter Jackie B, every single recommendation he gave was spot on!

Chocobar Cortés is a unique Caribbean-inspired cafe located in The Bronx, New York. It is an outpost of the well-established Puerto Rico-based chocolate company, Chocolate Cortes. This family-owned business has been producing high-quality bean-to-bar chocolate since 1929. In 2013, they expanded their operations to include Chocobar Cortes in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Now, I thought since chocolate was infused with some of the food, it wasn't going to taste good, but shut my mouth and open it back up. The food was great. I had the grilled House Shrimp with rice and beans and salad, and the dressing was great. We all enjoyed our food and tend to go back again. The drinks were great also, and our host was the best. If your looking for good food, drinks, and a good time, CHOCOBAR CORTEZ IS IT.

We ordered latte, taste was so bad by itself. Can’t even describe. Floor is dirty, on chandler Is dusty. There was not a lot people inside and the food was so mush earlier than drinks. Food was with chocolate, so be careful when you ordering. For example in sandwich they put chocolate inside with chicken. Ketchup was with chocolate. 18% tip was already included. For this type of place it was so pricey.
Angelina E — Google review
Visited the Chocobar out of pure curiosity. A lovely hip little spot, with an inviting and friendly atmosphere, complete with an amazing staff line up. The drinks were incredible; perfectly crafted with hints of their signature chocolate name sake. The foods were delicious and expertly presented. The only flaw I found was with the Avocado Toast. Boasting cured bacon with eggs on a slice of brioche bread, it was overly salty. So much so that I it was uneatable. However, that was the only minor blip on a perfect dinning experience. Also can’t forget the live Latin music, played at a level that is pleasing to the ears and pulled the overall experience together. To ensure you secure your dinning experience, make sure you reserve your table ahead of time. While they do take walk ins, it’s a small space that fills up quickly.

My family and I visited Chocobar Cortes today! It was our first time there. Originally, we were looking for a smoothie or shake place. Then, we ended up ordering food here. While the food was good, the customer service could’ve been better. Only two out of the four employees were pleasant. My family and I will be back. Hopefully, the politeness increases by then.

Here are my 2 cents about my visit to chocobar cortes. My girlfriends and I made reservations for Sunday brunch. The place is cute and the service was great. The staff worked together to make sure food came out together, quick and hot. However, I must say, the chocomartini was weak, not much liquor, it tasted like a frozen frappé. I think some of the food items are overpriced. We ordered the picadera, and for $27, we got 2 empanadas, 2 tostones with carne asada, 1 small suruyo, and 1 small alcapurria. We also ordered chicken and waffles $25, but we didn't get chicken, we got "nuggets" for that price I was expecting at least one real piece of chicken or one chicken tender, not McDonald's nuggets (not tasty at all). Overall, the atmosphere is nice, the service is great, and the food was good, but please consider serving real fried chicken with your waffles.

Awesome place! The arroz con gandules and empanadas de camarones tasted like my mom's food. Yummy!! We had tacos de mofongo with shrimp, pancakes, French toasts (breakfast all day!), hot chocolate (delicious!), and chocolate latte, and we ended up ordering food to go. To top it off, Javy (the waiter), was awesome. We highly recommend it.

if you love chocolate, this is a great place to go! i had the chocolada and it was soooo yummy! if i were to go back, i wouldn’t order the french toast again. also, the chicken tender size did not meet my expectation for the price but as for the environment it’s a nice brunch spot, the music/vibes are amazing and the staff that work there are so kind and helpful!

Great atmosphere and great vibe. From the moment you walk in the restaurant, to the moment you enter the restroom, the decor was absolutely fun and funky. We didn't have a reservation; however, the owner/manager (?) was friendly and kind enough to give us a table. Thankfully, it wasn't crowded when we went for an early lunch. The food was tasty. From the chicken sandwich to the French toast and waffles, everything was mouth-watering. I ordered the chili hot chocolate (oooweee, this had a great amount of heat and it was so good!) Temperature-wise, my hot chocolate and the food could have been a bit hotter. Overall, this was a cool restaurant.

Ice cream shop
Malai is a small but popular ice cream shop in Brooklyn, founded by Pooja Bavishi as a tribute to the flavors of her childhood. The shop offers egg-free, creamy hand-churned pints and scoops with South Asian-inspired flavors like golden turmeric, pumpkin garam masala crumble, saffron pistachio, sweet roti and ghee. They also have non-dairy and sorbet options along with ice cream cakes and sandwiches.
Perfect way to cool down during this hot summer heat! Staff was awesome and super nice about letting us try different types of ice cream. They had an amazing selection and great toppings. I would come back here again and again if I lived in NY.

Loved the classic flavors as well as the Diwali specials! The south asian inspired flavors are done very well here and worth a visit if youre in the area! Would definitely recommend taking a pint home! 5/5 Masala Chai 4.5/5 Rose with Cinnamon Roasted Almond 4.5/5 Peda (Pistachio)

Malai on Smith Street is my happy place. Their chai ice cream? Pure magic. The seasonal soft serves? Always a fun surprise. Pro tip: my toddler never finishes a scoop, so I just get him an empty cone—he’s thrilled, and I get more ice cream for me. Win-win 🍦✨

Katy — Google review
I have been going here for over 5 years. I look forward to returning because they always have unique and delicious flavors that I cannot find anywhere else. Right now they have Diwali flavors like ghughra. In the summer they had cilantro mint. They also have kulfi, ice cream sandwiches, chai, and a couple of soft serve flavors. The staff is always warm and helpful. I am so happy there is a place like this here that I keep getting to go back to try all their creations!
Sara S — Google review
Been a fan of their pints sold at Whole Foods for years and their Manhattan location that closed down. First visit to the Brooklyn shop and was disappointed. I sampled quite a few flavors and they were all icy/texture was terrible except for the apricot which was more melty and sorbet like. I thought maybe it was a fluke and only the surface had frosted over so ended up getting something anyway - split scoop of the strawberry pie and cinnamon honeybun. Flavors were on point but again texture seemed like they had freezer burn and visible frost. It’s really not acceptable for an ice cream shop to not get the texture right, seems like it’s way more “ice” than “cream.” I barely ate half of it before tossing. On second thought I should’ve gotten the saffron soft serve because that was actually quite delicious. Staff was really friendly and cheerful so no issues with service.
Karen S — Google review
The flavors here are really interesting, and they have a well-stocked freezer of pints (in flavors that aren't available for scooping) and pops. I've been here twice and the texture of the ice cream is usually a little icy/crumbly. I did get a scoop sea salt vanilla that was perfectly smooth and delicious. If all their flavors could match that texture, I would easily upgrade to 5 stars.

Black Tap is a popular eatery known for its elevated burgers with creative combinations and craft beers. Despite the likelihood of a line, the service is great and the atmosphere is lively with friends and family enjoying their meals. The milkshakes are particularly noteworthy for being huge, pretty, and delicious. Additionally, Black Tap offers gluten-free buns and standout options like the falafel burger. Visitors also appreciate the opportunity to draw on the walls and chairs while enjoying craft beer.
Black Tap is already a well established eatery - and I can see why. This was my first time experiencing what they have to offer and I can now personally vouch for the goods you get here (or at least the shakes). Just a heads up, there will most likely be a line, but it moves pretty quickly considering the amount of people waiting. Service was great and the atmosphere was filled with a lovely buzz of friends and family enjoying their order of overdosing bliss. If you're the type to splurge every now and then definitely find your spot on the line here. If going overboard isn't your thing at all...well, still find a spot on the line and bring a friend or two who will be able to take care of theirs and some of yours too...it's that damn good!!!

The burgers were on point here. The shake was delish! Definitely a place to go back to. A little dark but it's a great ambiance. Even kids can go here. I love it.

As all of the photos show, the milkshakes are crazy big...and they are delicious. Black tap has gluten free buns which are great. I always order the falafel burger, and each time I am shocked at just how delicious it is. The first time I ordered it, I worried that I would be very dry, but it is just the opposite. I highly recommend it.
Emma C — Google review
There's really nothing that special about this place, I truly am stunned there are lines to get into this place some days. Walk past here everyday and today it was quite so tried it out. The burger and fries were good but not even in top 10 in NYC burgers at a bar. The shakes look extravagant but didn't try one. Menu is relatively expensive for this kinda place. Only 4 beers on tape. It has would seem the chain element of the place has high impact.
Daniel W — Google review
Came here to meet friends, knowing nothing about the place beforehand. We had only a minimal wait, but keep in mind we were visiting early in the evening during the middle of the week. The Sriracha margarita was very good. My burger (the Mexican) was just ok, but I tried my friend's chorizo burger and it was delicious. And then there are the shakes. They are huge, and pretty, and tasty...but fifteen bucks? C'mon, man. However, if you're going to get one, I'd suggest the fruity pebble shake--totally brought me back to my childhood.
Ravi K — Google review
Burger was fantastic and the fries were crisp and great! I got the Texas burger without mayo. The BBQ sauce was particularly good and the burger juicy. A little pricey but it's a good burger!
Steve K — Google review
The burgers were awesome, but the shakes were unbelievable!! The kids, parents too, we're in heaven. They especially loved the ability to draw on the walls and chairs. I also loved the craft beer. Definately a must visit.
Gennady K — Google review
My shake was $15. Very disappointing! I shared my shake with a friend and it filled the half of too little glasses they give you for water. It's just very little quantity of actual shake, then a bunch of whipped cream and one of those fat boy ice cream sandwiches. By the time you get to the actual shake, it's all liquid. Just get a regular one for $8. I didn't try the food. But I heard it's good.

The place looked really nice from the outside, so I wanted to stop by and try their stuff. I work near by and usually go to Dunkin, but I’m not a fan, I would have loved to find something with good coffee and desserts in the neighborhood. So as the place was super promising, it so did not live up to the expectations! I ordered a latte with regular milk (which wasn’t cheap) and what I got is a regular coffee with milk! And on top of that the coffee itself was cold and totally disgusting! I told the lady that’s not a latte, to which she replied that “that’s how we make it”. I asked if she even knows what a latte is! Her attitude was terrible! She was saying she’ll refund me, but was super rude, as if it’s my fault somehow. You can’t just call something it is not! You can’t sell water and call it coffee claiming “thats how we make it”. Apparently they don’t even have an espresso machine. Overall very unhappy.

We placed a phone order for durian & Thai glutinous rice , Thai black glutinous rice, milk custard. The durian & Thai glutinous rice was taken out from the freezer since the bottom part was hard as rock and rice that cost $8. The Thai black glutinous rice was so hard and was plain flavor. We called back and told them that the durian & Thai glutinous rice was iced and the lady from store was so rude said it was suppose to be ice. We told them we would never come again and the lady on the other hand told to never come back. If you want this pricy ice dessert with the worst worst awful attitude then yes they will welcome you.

Had a takeout via HungryPanda. 6 mini, dry, not fresh off the oven egg tarts for $14. Overpriced, very disappointed in the quality.
Phaik C — Google review
I very seldom write negative reviews because I usually believe that if I have nothing nice to say, I should just remain silent. But with this store, I have to make an exception. While the food & drinks are mediocre to quite good depending on what you order, I had the worst customer service experience ever from this place. That lady was extremely rude, disrespectful & her attitude was unbelievable. Delivery takes forever (2+ hours!) and they often don’t pick up calls. When they do, it’s that rude lady that would make you feel you wished you hadn’t called; she would scold you for no reason, make you feel as if everything was your fault and wouldn’t even give you a chance to talk lol. Had I read the other reviews earlier, I probably wouldn’t have ordered from them & never had to deal with her. I‘d give two stars for the yummy Stewed Sweet Pear Drink. Deduct three stars for the terrible customer service and long delivery.
Vivienne C — Google review
Very very bad attitude.I called few times ahead before I head to the store to pick up my order. No one Answered. When I got there and waited for half hour and get respond like: the boss and the chef are not in the store to make the food. And say things like you don’t know English… sound like I don’t have the ability to call Uber eat or what. Then she just shut the door and lock it. And no refund because it shows the order is ready. No sorry, no food, wasted an hour on the road +waiting outside.
Charlotte K — Google review
I was so curious about this place for a while and finally took the time to buy something. It discouraged me.. The cashier was truly rude. She yelled at me and my girlfriend when we were browsing (mind you we already paid and was waiting for our desserts to be done). Also, the green tea layered cake tasted like buttered string beans... The brown sugar milk tea tasted as if its just milk... all of this to come out way too expensive. 😞

It was such a pleasure to meet Chef Umbar once again. The pastries at Mah Ze Dahr Bakery are luscious and I have been a devoted fan for many years. I have several favorites and ate the famous brioche donut with the pastry cream filling and then the vanilla choux paired with a hot cappuccino made by Matt, the barista. I took home a savory scone that I had at dinner with cheese. Team MZD of Jubidell and Julian were friendly and kind. This is the first bakery one sees when coming up on the escalator and one should stop for sweet and savory deliciousness. I am happy that MZD is open as I cried when the other two locations closed. I have many pictures of the pastries I enjoyed over several years.

Mini Melanie has made my daughters birthday cakes for two years in a row including her individual mini smash cake for her first birthday and it was AMAZING. Most recently we ordered a two tier cake for my sisters engagement party. We always receive so many compliments on how delicious their cakes taste. And they look amazing too!!!! Seriously, they're the BEST!!!!

We ordered a custom chocolate cake with pink ombré frosting for my daughters first birthday and I have to say, it was one of the best chocolate cakes I’ve ever had! Melanie was super easy and delightful to work with, she accommodated the custom size request I had and delivered it straight to our party venue. The cake was stunning and truly tasted delicious. Highly recommend!! 👍🏽👍🏽

At Lady M, a delightful fusion of Asian-inspired flavors, particularly Japanese, meets the artistry of French pastry-making. This enchanting patisserie is renowned for its signature mille-feuille cakes, which feature an impressive stack of delicate crepe-like layers. Each cake is filled with delectable options such as green tea, classic vanilla or chocolate, and seasonal passion fruit. Topped off with a light whipped cream that adds to the airy texture, Lady M's creations promise a heavenly experience for dessert lovers.
It's "coming soon" as of Nov 10, 2025. It really shouldn't be posted as a location until it's open.

Flea & Street Markets
Chelsea Market is a popular indoor marketplace in New York City that has been attracting both locals and tourists for the past 25 years. It offers a wide variety of high-quality grocers, shops, and eateries. Visitors can find everything from fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, and imported ingredients to unique fashion, art, and vintage items. The market also features a diverse selection of eateries serving Indian cuisine, tacos, Mediterranean street food, and pasta.
I went Chelsea Market a few moments ago because I needed to take a quick detour before going to a restaurant reservation. I had a great time there. It was a sight to see and it was quite busy, but I knew that was how markets were so I had no issue with getting into where I needed to. I loved the location of the market because it had availability. The air inviting and warm with cool breeze depending on the day. It was also a lovely area because I could get to find as many places as I needed to find. One of the places that I stopped by in the market was La Devozione to pick up a few pasta packages to cook at home. Another place I stopped by was Li-Lac Chocolates for sweet treats for my family members and myself. I can be honest to say I had an amazing time finding what I wanted in a quick few minutes. I found plenty of options and the two choice of places were to find a items to bring home with me before I went on my way to the reservation at a separate restaurant.

Chelsea Market is lively and full of great food options, but it was extremely crowded during my summer visit. It’s definitely a popular spot, but the large crowds made it hard to fully enjoy the space. Unfortunately, the restrooms were not clean, which took away from the overall experience. For such a well-known attraction, I expected better maintenance. Still, it’s worth stopping by if you’re in the area—just try to go during off-peak hours.

This is one of the most fantastic markets in the United States, the business within Chelsea Market are fantastic! It's mostly dining options but there are quite a number of mom and pop retail stores as well. We couldn't recommend a visit to Chelsea Market highly enough. It's a special NYC destination and super cool!

Chelsea Market is an iconic indoor food hall and retail marketplace renowned for its wide range of grocers (fish, produce, etc.), artisanal shops & eateries. It’s in New York City's Meatpacking District. Chelsea Market’s history: It was formerly a Nabisco factory where the Oreo cookie was invented. I like its unique industrial-chic architecture. It’s close to High line, an elevated old train track turned garden walk way. One of my most favorite way to walk through NY without cabs in my way. Just a safe space looking down on NY streets.

Great market with plenty of shops to check out and food options. There are restaurants with many different forms of cuisine to choose from with indoor and covered outdoor seating. Shops including clothing stores, gift shops, stalls for local artists, and foods. There are also restrooms on the lower level that are clean and well maintained. While we were here it was decorated for Halloween!

This might be the best market in Manhattan. It has a cultural and historical impact. Also you can see the architecture still remaining from the past. It’s a big place where you can find a diverse kind of business. Food, art, souvenirs and there’s also free restrooms made with some interesting materials.

The market is nice and looks very stylish. It’s buzzing even on a Sunday evening. There is a good enough selection of food options although they may not be extra top notch. Overall worth checking out if you are in New York

Super cool to try local stuff from Ny tought it’s really Ny because you have a lot of stuff from around the world like many Chinese stuff. When I went there it rained a lot so the place got flooded! 😅 so the building is not that good, the place is amazing tought to visit and eat!

Bakery
Al-Sham Sweets & Pastries is a cozy Middle Eastern bakery located in the heart of Little Egypt, an immigrant community in Astoria. This Jordanian-owned shop offers a delightful selection of Middle Eastern pastries and desserts, including their renowned baklava available in various flavors. The bright-orange kanafeh, a sweet treat with mild white cheese sandwiched between layers of thin pastry and soaked in sugar syrup, is highly recommended.
Stunning sweet & even better people behind the counter. I craved some Kanafeh in which they had two versions. Let me tell you, get both & mix them together for the perfect combination of texture & flavors.

Gotta love this authentic gem. Bringing some of the best Arabic sweets to the neighborhood. The kunafeh is amazing and a must try. They have multiple options to choose from. This place is a cornerstone of the neighborhood at this point

I've been coming here for years. This is the first place I've ever had kanafeh, and one of the best ones I've had to date. They have tons of Arabic sweets, baklava's, cookies & pastries. Decent prices and open late.

My parents are staying at a hotel near here and my dad hit it up last night and brought some for us today. He brought a bread pudding and a cheese based custard type thing. Both were excellent! Highly recommended

If you have a sweet tooth and a love for authentic Middle Eastern desserts, Al-Sham Sweets & Pastries is an absolute must-visit. In the heart of Astoria, this gem of a bakery offers a wide array of traditional sweets, but the star of the show is undoubtedly their baklava. From the moment you step inside, the rich, sweet aroma of honey and nuts greets you, inviting you to indulge in their mouthwatering treats. The baklava at Al-Sham is a perfect balance of flaky, buttery layers of phyllo dough, generously filled with a blend of finely chopped nuts and drenched in a fragrant honey syrup. Each bite is a harmonious mix of crunchy and sweet, with a delightful nutty undertone that leaves you craving more.Whether you’re a longtime fan of baklava or a newcomer to this delightful dessert, Al-Sham Sweets & Pastries will not disappoint. Their baklava is a testament to the rich culinary traditions of the Middle East, and one taste will have you coming back for more.

I’m American, but my family are Egyptian immigrants. I don’t speak Arabic, and I wasn’t overcharged. The kunafa is incredible. Having grown up with desserts my grandmother brought from Egypt, I can honestly say these treats are amazing and bring back childhood memories.

Amazing food!!! Palestinian Family owned!!! The by far have the best kunafa in the entire Brooklyn. The family are so respectful to each customer. They are cash only, they do have an Atm 🏧 , if anyone needs. Hands down some of the best tasting desserts 🎂 🍪🍰 🧁. Traveled far just to have their fresh kunafa. I just hope their prices don't have to go up. Definitely my go to spot for some traditional dessert!!! Hope you see you guys again!

Let me share with you the story of how I fell in love with this place. I live in the neighborhood and was curious about baklava and this spot for a while, one day I just went in and ordered what stood out to me. After eating everything I had ordered I was EXTREMELY satisfied, so here is what made me come back to try more; small place big taste, freshly homemade, the pastries have just the right amount of sweetness, prices are reasonable and good attention to costumer. These are different to what I am used to and I love them!
