Museums
The Menil Collection, located in the Montrose neighborhood of Houston, is home to nearly 19,000 art pieces and artifacts spanning from the Paleolithic era to modern times. The museum campus includes various buildings such as the Cy Twombly Gallery and the Rothko Chapel. The collection, originally amassed by Dominique and John de Menil, features sculptures, artifacts, modern paintings, and surrealist works.
An amazing free thing to do for Houstonians or visitors who love and appreciate art, with 4 separate buildings to tour. Great date idea too! I went on a random Saturday afternoon. Pack a lunch and enjoy the surrounding park area!!!

My favorite place in all of Houston not only is a museum fantastic but the parks and the grounds of the whole Mano collection are fantastic. Always try and stop by even if it’s 10 to 15 minutes it reminds me of old friends. It gives me a sense of peace. The red swing is fantastic. The Rothko Chapel is great. Everything is wonderful. Highly recommend oh the bookstore fantastic bookstore.
Imelda — Google review
The directions to the museum were a little off and I had to ask how to get to the museum because I couldn’t find the building based off google maps. It turned out that I was across the street from the actual museum even though the whole area is considered part of the museum. It is a beautiful area and we enjoyed the walk. They have a swing across the street and you can sit in the park and relax. The museum art wasn’t very appealing to me except for a few paintings. You are not allowed to take pictures or videos inside the exhibit rooms only in the hallways. Over all I enjoyed the outdoors more than the actual museum, but it was a good experience.
Kali M — Google review
One of Houston’s most UNDERRATED art museum. Absolutely beautiful art with brilliant and unique pieces. The museum is made up of a few different buildings which are in walking distance. The Menil Drawing Institute was my favorite with very thought provoking pieces and nice staff. And on top of everything, it is all free! Great place to unwind and to enjoy some art with a friend or a date.
Victoria L — Google review
No picture-taking inside, nice space and not much good art to see. There is a separate building dedicated to one abstract "artist" a photo of which is attached. Main building has some famous modern artists like Warhol . I think the room with Magritte is interesting as some art shown there isn't in books and publications. You can also trace his artistic growth by looking at art in the beginning of his career and in the end . A few Max Ernst pictures, Greek vases, etchings and lots of African wood sculptures make the best of this museum. It would take you half an hour to see it The collection is located in a nice neighborhood with beautiful old trees. There's Rothko's chapel with giant black paintings inside. If you want to feel thoroughly depressed, you can spend time there. Newman's sculpture decorates the front . Everything is free and so you can't say 'no' if you have plenty of time to kill.
Veronica W — Google review
Though I have visited The Menil Collection in the past, the exhibits never cease to amaze me! It was clean and reverant as I walked through every single room. I stayed and pondered over the displays that truly interested me. As an artist, I got ideas on how to improve my own work. The atmosphere was smooth and welcoming. If I lived closer, I would visit more often.
B. B — Google review
The main building has more interesting things. The other three are more contemporary art, like a lot of scribbles, which I'm not a fan of. Pictures are not allowed in most of it.
Raony F — Google review
The art was great. Planning to see Adam. I’m planning to find an interesting.. Bothered us was the fact that we went on a slow Thursday night and the only people present in the entire facility. When we walked inside, My little brother had to use the restroom, and after asking the concierge where it was without even making eye contact, he faintly pointed his finger towards the door without saying anything. No big deal. After entering the building, we decided to browse at the exhibitions that had to offer that night and quickly to realize that the concierge was following us like we were some looters at Walmart. At one point, he said don’t get too close to the paintings even though we were standing anywhere between 8 to 15 feet away from them not understanding what he meant We continued our tour. No matter what part of the building we were in, he was standing over us, making us feel like we were some type of losers pretty much breaking down our neck which made us feel really uncomfortable and resolved in us, leaving quite swiftly. The place has great exhibits and is definitely worth going but the concierge or the security guard that worked there clearly not only had no manners, but also had a very pushy way of dealing with things. My family visiting me from Europe, thinking Texas is a hospital. State definitely did not get that impression from that guy “ Security or concierge whatever you wanna call him” Point blank. The place was great and they exhibits were nice to look at but the security guard that day literally made us feel like we were trying to either Steal something or damage and followed us around like a policeman. My mother Who does not live in the states ask me if this is normal and I said absolutely not and we just brushed off the bad experience as if the guy was having a bad day. Regardless, the museum is awesome and the exhibition is definitely worth going to, but hopefully you’re going on tonight when that gentleman is not working because he will make your day a bit sour with his pushy and Nonchalant verbiage…

Nature & Parks
Historical landmark
Buffalo Bayou Park is a sprawling 160-acre green space that offers stunning views of the Houston skyline. The park features a variety of attractions, including hike and bike trails along the bayou, captivating art installations, and outdoor activity spaces such as Eleanor Tinsley Park and the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark. Visitors can also enjoy delicious food and drinks at The Dunlavy, a chandelier-lit kitchen and bar within the park.
Lots to do clean and fun loved the Japanese gardens and walking path was easy to follow and navigate for a first time. Can go back so much more to enjoy. The wild life was fun and safe to be around.

One of Houston’s best spots, hands down. Great trails, skyline views, art, and just the right mix of city and nature. Perfect for a run, bike ride, or chill walk. Always clean, always peaceful. Love coming back here — never gets old.

The See You At The Top Fleet stopped by Buffalo Bayou Park. one of the best places to unwind in Houston. The views of the downtown skyline are incredible, especially at sunrise or sunset. The trails are wide, clean, and perfect for walking, biking, or just taking a moment to recharge. Between the Nature Play Area, the Johnny Steele Dog Park, and the Cistern, there’s something for everyone here. A real Houston gem that blends nature, art, and community in one beautiful space. SEE YOU AT THE TOP 🚀

This is one of my favorite parks. It's large, and you can do many activities like walking, running, and biking. You can go alone or with someone, with your family or friends who play sports. You can also do more outdoor activities like picnicking, playing volleyball, or fishing. It's a beautiful place in downtown Houston. I highly recommend it.
Karla P — Google review
Buffalo Bayou Park is a great park. They have trails for walking and biking. Several large grassy areas to hang out. An awesome dog park. Great people watching. The Waugh Drive Bridge has a cool bat colony that I have watched several times. It's super fun to see them drop from under the bridge and fly out into the evening sky. A little bit of sensory overwhelm, but it's definitely worth watching at least once. I do wish there were a few more restrooms throughout. But I made it work. Parking can be a challenge as well, but I have been lucky every time I have gone.
Ashlee S — Google review
One of the best spots in Houston for walking and relaxing. The trails are well-maintained, with amazing views of the skyline and plenty of greenery. Perfect for a morning jog or evening stroll. I love how peaceful it feels even though it’s near downtown. Great mix of nature, art, and open space.
Yuval C — Google review
Very pretty area to walk by the river in the city however there aren't many restrooms and there are areas you hear cars more than nature

Excelent place to run or bike by the Bayou. The trails are well maintained and there is also security cart riding around.

Nestled within the Rice University campus, James Turrell's Twilight Epiphany Skyspace is a stunning architectural marvel that seamlessly blends art and sound. This pyramid-like structure, constructed from concrete, steel, and stone, offers an intimate setting for up to 120 guests across two levels. The space is acoustically engineered to enhance musical performances while an enchanting LED light sequence dances across the ceiling just before sunrise and sunset.
Visited there a long ago. Since it was our first time, we parked at Rice Village parking garage and walked there. And it was a long walk. Later we get to know that you can park in the nearby parking lot. The Skyspace is free for all. The pyramidal structure was built in 2012 and accommodates 120 people between two levels. The structure is located on top of grass covered hilly area with a 72 ft square roof. The roof projects the LED light sequence during the show. We reached there 20 minutes before sunset and sat in the upper viewing area. A lady was describing the history and process of the Skyspace. And at sunset, the light sequences started. We were amazed to see the LED light sequence. Definitely recommend it if you are visiting Houston. Remember to check out the website before visiting to know about any closures.
Tasnim I — Google review
If you’re at Rice, come see it. Otherwise don’t waste your time or money. You’ll have to pay parking and there’s construction at the moment. You can still access it by going around the construction but the light show isn’t working and there are no signs alerting you. Website says it should reopen in Spring 2025.
Estefania F — Google review
Located inside the University. It looks like an art piece and it lights up after sunset, although sometimes it doesn't turn on due to technical difficulties. If you really want to see the lights, it might be a good idea to call first before making the trip over. The Moody lot is pretty close and it's a paid lot. I don't think there are any free ones on campus. Be carful where you park as some are restricted and you will get towed. That being said, the campus is very peaceful and it's a nice place to take a leisurely stroll. We enjoy coming here in the evenings for sunset.
Tommy C — Google review
This exhibit is best in the twilight hours until dark. An inspiring place to relax and reflect. The acoustics are also great. If you can get in alone, it's a wonderful experience to practice and enjoy the views. Thank you, Rice University, for keeping this open to the public.
Weston G — Google review
Stumbled across this when we were staying in the area. We were there for sunset, light sequence was awesome against the clouds and lightning in the background!! There were several people there enjoying the quiet and meditating. Parking available along the street. It’s quick and easy to stop in and stay for a short visit. If you go to the website that’s shown when you are reviewing this location on the map it will show the best times to arrive for your visit!!
Jimmy F — Google review
I've lived in Houston for a year. I moved here from the Midwest. I was trying to find some unique things to do in Houston that were inexpensive or free. This looked amazing based on the reviews and it's free except for the parking. You can go for sunrise or sunset. Based on reviews it seemed as though sunset was busier and since I was going alone I didn't want to deal with crowds. It said to arrive an hour before sunrise. It's on the campus of Rice University. There was no one there when I arrived .There was no lighting in the art structure. Frankly, there was little lighting on campus. I was a little concerned for my safety. It said the light show started 40 minutes prior to sunrise. That time came and went and nothing happened. But since I was up I decided to stay for the sunrise. Eventually a few other people showed up. Right as the sun started to rise a guy started to mow the lawn right next to us, I mean literally inches away! That took the wind out of my sails. The sunset was still pretty, although it looked better in my rearview mirror as I drove away. I am willing to give the sunset option a try because the reviews were current for that. You have to park in an on-campus parking lot which is about $6. It's about three or four blocks away from there. The concept is very interesting just disappointing that the show didn't happen. When I got home, I reviewed the website meticulously to be sure I hadn't missed any pertinent information about the sunrise show not happening on certain days or at all for that matter. I couldn't find anything. Oh well, you learn something new everyday
NORA W — Google review
Twas a nice light show and relaxing place but full of mosquitos 🦟 omg! If you don’t put repellant then you’ll be bitten so badly! Other than that, enjoy the show!
Mr. D — Google review
A very meditative experience if it were not for all the 50 or so tourists. It gives a very peaceful and reflective ambiance and I was so impressed and amazed walking through Rice to witness this kind of natural-yet-electronic sculpture/pavillion. The lights are much prettier when you view from the outside or sitting in the lower level of the structure, not the top.

Beer garden
Cocktail bar
Axelrad Beer Garden is a popular hangout spot in Midtown known for its laid-back outdoor setup, offering a wide selection of craft beers and rotating food trucks. The venue hosts regular events such as live music, open mic nights, jazz performances, and themed music nights. The interior features a Central and South American theme with unique decor elements. The expansive outdoor patio includes art installations, live music, and movie screenings on a giant wall.
“Laid-back, vibrant, and unforgettable.” Axelrad Beer Garden is one of those rare Houston gems that hits the mark for everyone. It's geared towards a young crowd, sure, but don’t let that fool you. I took my 76-year-old father and a close family friend in their 60s, and they had just as much fun as I (30s) did. We went on a jazz night paired with steak, and between the live band and the sizzling grill, the atmosphere was absolutely electric. The space itself is massive and welcoming, with tons of picnic tables, cozy chairs, and colorful hammocks scattered across a huge neon-lit courtyard. The vibe is casual, creative, and inclusive, with the kind of energy that feels like a backyard party thrown by artists, musicians, and beer lovers all at once. There’s an easy pass-through into Luigi’s next door (some of the best pizza in the city), and the drink menu at Axelrad is top notch, with tons of craft beers on tap, creative cocktails, and solid happy hour deals that make it easy to settle in and stay awhile. It’s also super pet friendly, which I loved. Beautiful, well-behaved dogs lounging near their owners gave the whole place a calm, social rhythm, even when the crowd was buzzing. What surprised me most was how well it all came together for multiple generations. While it's clearly designed with a younger demographic in mind with the artsy decor, funky lighting, Instagram-worthy everything, there’s live music, good food, great service, and a safe, relaxed energy that made my dad and his friend feel totally comfortable. Bottom line is whether you’re here for date night, a group hang, live music, a pizza run, or just a cold drink with your dog under the stars, Axelrad delivers. It’s become a personal favorite, and it’s now one of the first spots I recommend to anyone looking for the real heart of Houston culture, which is usually chill, vibrant, with just the right amount of weird. Excellent job! 👍

This is a great space. There is ample parking despite its midtown location. The service is prompt and friendly, and the ambience attracts an artistic crowd. It has a comfortable vibe, and the extensive beer selection is perfect for enjoying good conversation without being too loud. I was here for a record swap which happens monthly. In the shadow of HCC this place shines

Stopped by after work with a few coworkers for some drinks, and it turned out to be the perfect spot to relax. The place has a great space with plenty of room, tasty food, a pool table, and even a dance floor. It’s such a fun setup that makes it perfect for groups. The staff was attentive, the atmosphere was welcoming, and everything felt easy and enjoyable. Definitely a spot I’d come back to with friends or coworkers!
Jan C — Google review
Evening came and went and we decided to pick a new spot for me . Ended in Axelrand &' most definitely coming back. Paw friend seem to be allowed in they have a free comedy show in second floor which really helped the night get started. We opened a tab, found our seats near the screen (movie night : Casper then Scream) found no kids in sights but did see a baby. They did ask for ID before ordering drinks &' our bartender was more then helpful in any our questions. A most definite if your looking for good ambiance with layback vibes. Pizza joint on the grounds if hungry, food was 9/10 with decent prices and great service. Plenty of parking. Definitely a good date night.

Axelrad: Hammocks, Hipsters, and High-Priced Highballs There are two kinds of people in Houston: those who wither in the summer heat and those who embrace it with a hammock, a cold drink, and questionable life choices. At Axelrad, I became the latter. The Scene This place is less of a bar and more of a curated spot by a very chill art student. Picture this: hammocks swaying in the breeze, murals splashed across the walls, live music drifting like incense smoke, and a crowd that looked equal parts Woodstock revival and Pride parade. The vibe was gloriously hippie—I genuinely couldn’t tell if I was surrounded by free-spirited bohemians, queer icons, or just people who thrift better than I do. The Drinks & Eats Cocktails here are $20—a steep price for something that tasted like it was mixed by a bartender who meditates more than they measure. Decent, but at that price, I half expected enlightenment with my garnish. Luckily, the pizza redeemed things: blistered crust, gooey cheese, and toppings that made me whisper “namaste” to my slice. The Entertainment And then—because Axelrad refuses to be predictable—there was a full-on Red Bull BMX course. Nothing bonds strangers quite like racing on child-sized bikes after a few overpriced cocktails. Watching grown adults pedal furiously while nearly face-planting over ramps was worth every cent of admission (which was, conveniently, just the drink bill). The Verdict Axelrad is chaotically chill in the best way. Come for the hammocks, stay for the pizza, laugh at the bike races, and accept that your wallet will be $20 lighter per cocktail. Is it worth it? Let’s just say—it’s less about the drinks and more about the delirious, delightful circus you’re buying into.

In town and had a mega stressful day and found this place to unwind, de-stress & eat. All the bar staff were great! They let me sample some brews and I did end up going with their reccomends. They had a pizzeria adjacent and a pop up sandwich Yuma shop. I had the Bratwurst pressed sandwich. It was fantastic. My family owned a deli/sandwich shop for years and I am a sandwich snob 😆 but they delivered a perfect pressed sandwich which was great after a hard day. The atmosphere outside was nice with plenty of space and seating. The only reason for my 4 star is this. The girl they had greeting and checking ID's was not pleasant friendly or inviting. As a front of the house employee she didnt Crack a smile or seem to have a friendly interaction with anyone the whole time I was there.
Joe P — Google review
I didn't drink or eat anything. Outdoor gathering place with picnic tables and hammocks spread throughout. Kids jumping on tables and climbing in trees, unsupervised by adults. Very many near misses of them falling. Music playing outdoors. Tables and seats are dirty, but a tablecloth was put on it, for gathering. Not conducive for large gatherings. There is a small room, upin entering, but a baby shower was going on, in it. Guests were blocking the door, to come in. No room left for other patrons.

Celebrated 7 years of love at the place where it all began — Axelrad! 💫 Met my boyfriend here back in 2018, and it still has the same magical vibe. The bartender surprised us with a complimentary cocktail when we shared it was our anniversary — such a sweet gesture! 🍸✨ Loved the chill atmosphere, refreshing drinks, and great beer selection. Definitely a go-to spot to unwind. 💕 #AnniversaryVibes #AxelradMemories #7YearsStrong #CheersToUs

I visited the Houston Zoo and was very impressed 🌟. The territory is huge and beautifully maintained 🌳, with lots of greenery and nice walking paths 🚶‍♂️. There are truly many animals here 🐘🦒🦓, the enclosures are spacious, and it’s clear they are well cared for. I especially enjoyed watching the giraffes 🦒 and elephants 🐘. A special highlight was seeing the bald eagles 🦅 — the symbol of America 🇺🇸. There are two of them here, and they sit under the open sky, which makes the encounter even more impressive. There’s also an aquarium with marine life 🐠, an area with birds 🦜, and sections with rare species. For children, this place is a real paradise 👧🧒 — full of educational areas, games, and activities. The staff is friendly and always ready to help 🙌. The cafés and rest areas are convenient 🍔🥤, so you can grab a snack and enjoy the view. Parking is available nearby 🚗, and the location right in Hermann Park makes the zoo even more attractive. Overall, it’s one of the best zoos in the USA 🇺🇸, and I highly recommend visiting with the whole family 💯.

This zoo is so nice! There is a ton of shade on the walkways, and the exhibits for the animals were pretty spacious compared to other zoos. They had drainage issues in the aquatic area when we went this past weekend so the penguin exhibit was closed unfortunately. The capybaras were definitely the highlight for me. You do need to purchase your tickets online prior.

It's a fairly decent sized zoo, there always seems to be something they're updating & maintaining. The staff is friendly & informative, there's several shady areas that help with super hot & humid days. It's not our family favorite zoo, but it is the closest and therefore we do visit several times a year. We still have not been in the children's area, so no feedback on that, but there does seem to be quite a lot under construction at this time of year. A big plus is all the beautiful landscaping which is well maintained & there always seems to be something in bloom.

Very calm and a nice place to visit with families. The zoo was maintained at all times, the food was also good inside. The lemonade was so good and it was so much compared to other portion sizes. I would always come back here for a good family time for sure.

I took my baby girl to the Houston Zoo for her 1st birthday along with her 2.5 year old cousin. Both of them had a great time and were engaged as we went through each exhibit. We went on October 13th, which was Columbus Day (on a Monday) and it wasn't over crowded inside of the Zoo. We were able to comfortably see all of the animals in each area... including the gorilla's which was where we saw the biggest group of Zoo goers. Our visit was during the Halloween season, so there was a lot of awesome decor, however we noticed that hardly any kiddos were dressed in costumes. It was still early October, so that could be why. Some suggestions would be to pack and bring your own snacks, especially if visiting with kiddos. The food and snacks there are grossly overpriced. They allow small coolers so next time we go we'll pack sandwiches, juices, and cold snacks. Also, the parking was atrocious and a bit aggressive so be prepared for that. You may circle the parking lots for a while before lucking up on a leaving family (then you my have to do the whole "I was here 1st" thing when other cars when you do.) Horrible. Overall though, we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely come back (probably on a random weekday to avoid the whole parking thing).

This was a great zoo that was easy to get around and lots of shade for hot days. The kids really enjoyed petting the goats. The park was really clean and great directions. I highly recommend it.
Alzira E — Google review
Good zoo. Very, very busy on a November weekend. The sea lions are always my favorite, but the elephants were very fun to watch as well. The animals looked to be low-stress for being in captivity. I actually wished there was more signage talking about the specific animals, and that they have pronunciation guides. I think most signs were in both English and Spanish. Very large zoo with lots of different ways to view the animals. I wish there were more keepers/interns/volunteers educating about the animals or available for questions.
Zoë B — Google review
It was such a great experience! We usually don’t go to Zoos but it was fun and nice to see different type of animals that close. Also, at the beginning there is a guy who take nice photos you might try! Little elephant was my favorite.

Museums
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is a must-visit destination in the city's Museum District. It stands out as the oldest art museum in Texas and one of the largest in the United States. The museum boasts an impressive collection of over 70,000 artworks from six continents, spanning from antiquity to modern times. Visitors can explore its distinct campus and sculpture garden while also enjoying films and programs.
As an artist, I’m looking for Inspiration and I love me some good art. It felt like I was back in art history in college but it wasn’t in the books this time but in real life. First time going to this museum and I wasn’t able to explore the whole museum!! I was blown away how much art and the variety as well. There is sooooo much to explore, view, and read. My realm and interests is contemporary, minimalism, and modern art which they have a whole building dedicated to it. They also have installations and interactive pieces too! Highly impressed with this museum and the staff was extremely helpful and kind!

Genuinely appreciate that military get in free! However… the layout of the museum is CONFUSING as all hell. The museum is made of like 4 buildings + a parking garage. The buildings with art are connected by tunnels. Everything is confusing and hard to navigate. For some unknown reason, there was weird, terrifyingly creepy experimental music playing in both buildings we visited. It was LOUD and could be heard throughout all the exhibits. This is not an exaggeration, it sounded like tortured, haunted groaning + tornado sirens…. Not a pleasant backdrop to your museum experience. I love music. This was downright creepy and made me feel on edge while trying to enjoy the art. Parking is $10 if you park under 4 hours. As an avid museum goer, I was very happily surprised by the amount of Iranian/Islamic, Jewish, and Indonesian art on display! I had never seen so much from those regions and cultures before, so it as a really unique experience. But overall, if we had paid full price for this experience I would’ve felt pretty upset.

I love the Museum of Fine Arts. Free every Thursday. The arts, the atmosphere and creativity. It’s a great time to stroll and let your mind wonder about the messages behind the art. The varies types of art always has you more and more intrigued and enlightened.

If you’re looking for respite from the heat—the MFAH is cool. So cool! We only had a couple hours, so we headed straight for the special exhibits. A.A Murakami created ephemeral performance art with smoke and mechanical breath. Giant bubbles are released to float and explode in a puff of smoke. In another room, puffs of smoke are generated rhythmically and wafted forward. The scenes are mesmerizing and simple yet infinitely complex. Comfy floor cushions provide a place to watch and be immersed. In the Law building, we took in the Anicka Yi exhibit. We saw moving, lit wire sculptures and a constantly refreshing, AI generated scene. Relax and look for your favorite design. Outside Yi’s exhibit we enjoyed the Jewish and Islamic exhibits. I especially liked the video demo of Islamic calligraphy, and the giant painting of Islamic text with only the vowels and no consonants. You can see the rhythm of the words without the letters competing for attention. I also loved the tunnels and found the chromatically lit rainbow tunnel so charming and photogenic. You won’t be disappointed!

The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston is a marvelous museum, one of the finest in the world. It has a wide range of collection s of artworks of various forms, making it one of the leading museum of fine art in the world. The curating is first class. So is the management. The museum is spacious. It is situated in several buildings and several structural blocks, but these are interconnected through tunnel at the level of basement 1. The tunnels are meaningfully decorated. It has sober parking facility. The elevators cater the need of the physically challenged visitors.

Truly a beautifully large museum with so much to see. I think it would take at least half a day to get through everything. Not only is the artwork diverse and takes you through different times, it has many photo opportunities and a family area for kids to interact. They provide free entry to our service members or veterans too.
Kalia A — Google review
This was a great experience. I was temporarily in a wheelchair and going through the tunnels was a little difficult because of slopes. I do suggest getting a city pass which covers 5 different excursions. You can see the tunnel with the neon lights.

Such a beautiful museum! We went during the evening on Halloween. We had a cocktail before we went to see the galleries. The art was so creepy and that was excellent because it was Halloween. Gave a nice spooky but beautiful vibe. The cafe inside had the most delicious pumpkin tart ! The measure store was nice and reasonably priced for a museum store. We would most definitely go back !

The Houston Museum of Natural Science is a must-visit attraction in Houston. Established in 1909, it's one of the most popular museums in the country. The museum features permanent exhibits on astronomy, science, Native Americans, Texas wildlife, and ancient Egypt. Visitors can also explore the Burke Baker Planetarium, Wortham Giant Screen Theater, and Cockrell Butterfly Center.
The Houston Natural History Museum is a fantastic place with a lot to see and do. You could easily spend 2-3 days exploring the main exhibits to really take it all in. The museum is filled with fascinating displays, from ancient fossils to space exploration, and it’s a great spot for both kids and adults to learn and explore. My kids had a blast discovering history and learning how things work, making it a fun and educational experience for the whole family. They do offer rotating exhibits, which is great for return visits, but these new exhibits do come with an additional cost. While the extra charge can feel like a bit much, the main exhibits are definitely worth the visit. The museum offers a truly engaging experience that’s both entertaining and educational. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot to spend a few days if you want to dive deep into history. I’m rounding up to 5 stars on Google because the extra paid exhibits are the only downside, but everything else was fantastic. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/2

The museum isn’t extremely large, but it’s packed with fascinating exhibits and offers a very fulfilling experience. The interactive sections are well designed and engaging, making it enjoyable for visitors of all ages. The mummy exhibit was especially impressive both educational and visually striking. I also loved the sections about space, ocean life, and dinosaurs; each one was full of detail and excitement. The video presentations and multimedia displays were excellent as well, adding great depth to the overall experience.Overall, it’s a wonderfully curated museum that combines science, history, and creativity in a very inspiring way. Definitely worth a visit!

The Houston Museum of Natural Science is truly worth a visit! Specially for kids but equally enjoyable for adults. The museum itself has four floors each packed with fascinating exhibits. On the first floor I loved the chemistry section and especially the amazing dinosaur skeletons and fossils some over 170 million years old! The second floor is dedicated to gems, sparkling with incredible collections. The third floor is absolutely marvelous with the Mummies and Ancient Egypt culture really interesting and full of history. Right next to it you’ll also find exhibits on the history of America. The top floor explains everything about crude oil extraction procedures in detail which was very educational. If you are someone who loves going deep into information this museum can easily take a whole day to explore properly. As I know, it’s also one of the most visited museums in the USA and I can clearly see why. Highly recommended for families, students or anyone who loves history, science and culture.

I’m a member of the Houston Museum of Natural Science and usually love visiting, it’s one of my favorite places in the city. The permanent exhibits are always fascinating, well-maintained, and beautifully presented. The Hall of Paleontology and the “Death by Natural Causes” exhibition (I think that’s what it’s called) are absolutely amazing, educational, creative, and worth every visit. However, the current Extreme Animals Alive expo was really disappointing. I was expecting something exciting, with live exotic animals and interactive experiences, but most of what’s on display are taxidermy specimens or models. There were very few live animals, and nothing that could really be described as “extreme.” For the price of the special ticket, which is quite high even with a membership discount, it honestly feels like a waste of money. Some areas of the museum were also closed today, which made the experience feel a bit incomplete. That said, the museum staff is always kind and helpful, and there’s still so much to see and enjoy in the main halls. I’ll definitely keep visiting because the museum itself is fantastic, just hoping future special exhibits live up to the title and the cost.

Today was my first time attending the Houston Museum of Natural Science and I was so highly impressed! I must return. I chaperoned for a field trip so the timing was very tight but we got to see and do so much. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but go and take your little ones they will love all the interactive experiences. Make the trip fun but adding a scavenger hunt for specific things. This helps so much with observation. The kids and everyone had a blast I would love to return. The staff was superior and very informative if needed.

Amazing museum. In many ways it's the best I've been to and even surpasses the Smithsonian. If you have the opportunity to meet Mr. Dan in the paleontology exhibits, allow him to give you an u forgettable tour of the fossils and exhibits. He's truly amazing and engaging and he exudes passion for what he does. He made my visit truly amazing and I loved hearing his dad jokes and learning so much from him. It was truly a joy to visit this museum and be able to experience such hospitality. Thank you Mr. Dan and everyone at the museum.

Amazing museum with outstanding displays and plenty of interactive exhibits that really make learning fun. It’s a fantastic place to take the kids — there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The palaeontology section is my personal favourite — absolutely world-class and packed with fascinating fossils. The on-site food is okay for a quick bite when you’re hungry, but the real highlight is definitely the exhibits. Highly recommend taking your time to explore it all!

Kemah Boardwalk is a family-friendly amusement park featuring classic rides such as a wooden roller coaster and a two-story carousel. Located near Kemah Boardwalk Marina, visitors can capture picturesque scenes of various vessels, from yachts to fishing boats. The boardwalk comes alive at night with vibrant lights and thrilling attractions like roller coasters and Ferris wheels, making it an ideal setting for photography enthusiasts to experiment with low-light or long-exposure shots.
Wonderful Octoberfest with kids and families showing up around 2. It was much less crowded around 12. The $28 dollar wrist band is great if you are just riding. Not all of our party rode rides, so it is very nice not having to buy a full ticket price. Offers a lot of games, etc. love being able to sit next to the canal and watching the boats drive by before they enter the bay. There are lots of seats, but do wish they had more in the shade. Several great restaurants with a few snack food trucks on the boardwalk.

This amusement park is beautifully designed and located right by the sea, which gives it a unique and relaxing atmosphere. The whole park has a strong Spanish character, which adds to its charm and authenticity. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, offering a variety of food options — and many with great views. The rides and attractions are a lot of fun, well-maintained, and offer something for all ages. Whether you’re into adrenaline-pumping roller coasters or more relaxed experiences, there’s something here for everyone. Prices are relatively affordable, especially considering the quality and variety the park offers. All in all, a fantastic day out — fun, scenic, and very Spanish in the best way!

Great place to spend a day with the family or a date. Lots of fun things to do and you can even get a tour in a boat 😵‍💫. They have a nice Hotel there you can stay and different restaurants with all kinds of food. The parking ticket is 15 dollars and the whole day pass was like 30 which is the best option. The roller coaster is insane 🤣 so much fun.

Our 1st time here, personally I was quite excited. The weather afforded us cool breezes, we arrived 11:45ish for scheduled noon opening and after walking around, having lunch the rides were just opening. When we left at 1:30 there was only one shop open. Totally disappointed! Don't know if this happens on a regular basis but I don't think we'll be driving an hour for this.

Kemah Boardwalk is a perfect family-friendly destination packed with fun and entertainment for all ages! From live music to exciting acrobatic shows, there’s always something happening. Enjoy one of the best dining experiences by the beach, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Kids will love the carnival rides, splash pad during the summer, and the charming train that circles the boardwalk and even passes through some restaurants. Parking is paid, and weekends tend to get busy—so plan ahead!
Judith R — Google review
The kids and I had a blast they enjoyed the rides. We got the all day pass which is a good price if you go on a decent amount of rides. The food is overpriced but that is to be expected. I do recommend the souvenir cup which is $10 since the refills are $1 vs buying 1 drink that ranges between $4 - $8 especially if you plan to stay a while. We paid $12 for parking for the open lot right next to the boardwalk that is card only but you have to scan a QR code to pay but there is also a car garage for parking also that is right next to the boardwalk.
Paiger — Google review
Great place to take the kids, I took mine here as kids and now as teenagers and there is plenty to do for both age groups. Lots of restaurants to stop and grab a bite to eat. Rides for small kids as well as the bigger ones. And the view on the boardwalk is so beautiful especially at night from the ferris wheel 🎡

Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park is home to a remarkable 64-foot semi-circular fountain, often described as a waterwall, located in the Uptown/Galleria area of Houston. This iconic sculpture recirculates an impressive 11,000 gallons of water per minute and has been a beloved attraction since its establishment in 1983. The park's fountain is so popular that special permits are required for events like engagements and weddings.
This is a must-see when you come to Houston. I have been to Houston many times, but I have never seen this. It will leave you in awe. It is truly amazing. It is also great to cool you off on a hot day. There were tons of people there on the Saturday that we went. Lost of photos were being taken. I was very amazed by the water feature.

Nothing about Houston makes sense! This beautiful attraction is the only attraction to see for miles. Houston must be so large that they sprinkle a little art all around. Luckily this was just a short walk from our hotel. It draws a lot of visitors. I loved to see the diverse crowd that gathered for photos. Be careful though, there isn’t a place to park. The tow truck was hovering and almost towed a car.

Honestly, this is one of the more random things to be so unexpectedly found while exploring a city. Crossing through the city through some of the less than favorable parts and then stumbling through a couple of blocks of a downtown, you find yourself here, something that you can see and hear while driving down the street. It was certainly a fun find, and of course I had to stop and check it out. Be mindful that you may need to cross an entire lawn depending on where you park. It had just rained so there were tons of holes and mud spots in the grass - be aware when you go. Staring at this waterfall structure makes you ponder why they put this here, and then you just marvel that it is here. Then you think about how everything you currently enjoy was made up by someone not much smarter than yourself.

Miller Outdoor Theatre, situated within Houston's Hermann Park, is an outdoor performing arts venue offering free live shows from March to November. Originally designed as an amphitheater in 1992, it underwent significant refurbishment in 1998. With seating for over 1,700 visitors and lawn space for an additional 4,500 patrons, the theater hosts a variety of performances including dance, music, theater and symphony presentations by the Houston Symphony.
Motown Magic Under the Stars! The Motown Review at Miller Outdoor Theatre was an absolute vibe! From the first note to the final encore, the energy was electric and the talent on stage was phenomenal. They brought all the classics to life — smooth vocals, tight harmonies, and that unmistakable Motown groove that had the whole crowd dancing in their seats (and on the lawn!). I love going each year. I also like how they divide the hillside with blankets on one side and chairs on the other giving everyone a chance to see. Parking is a nightmare if you don’t arrive very early. I arrived at 5:30PM to ensure I was able to get a parking space. The atmosphere was beautiful — a perfect Houston night with music, community, and good vibes all around. Whether you're a longtime fan of Motown or just love live music, this show was a soulful, feel-good experience. Huge thanks to Miller Outdoor Theatre for keeping the arts alive and free for the city! I do not own any rights to the music.

The Show tonight was Great! I assumed it was going to be a repeat of Friday night’s show. Boy! Wuz I wrong, and refreshingly astonished. I accidentally met tha performers of tha group Astro Inn before their set. Those guys were very good. I enjoyed their performance so much, I failed to record much of it. My favorite of tha three was Vortexz. I don’t recall tha lead singer’s name, but, he was a true showman. visions of Little Richard, Michael Jackson and a few others popped into my head as I observed him dance and prance across tha stage. Imma let my videos and photos complete tha tale.

The Three Pigs Remix by the Ensemble Theater was enjoyable. The background music was incredible and complimentary to the acting scenes and stage. The acting talent was pleasant and interesting, I just wished they would have gone 10 minutes more. Enjoyable moment to catch this play at the start of the summer.

I have never been disappointed when I have gone to see a show. Always enjoy myself. In fact, I LOVE IT. I'm there a lot, in the spring, up until it's over. Great performances each and every time. They have something for everyone. I attend most of them. Never say on the hill. I like being underneath the sheltered area. Can't go wrong. Make donations for it to continue. Great date nights. Have not had any incidents ever, when I was there. Everyone vibing, singing, dancing..etc. Having a good time.

I typically go when they have the Motown Tribute. You have to get there at least 3 hours before the performance to get a good spot on the hill. Bring food, drinks, fans, umbrellas, sun hats, and all the things to keep the heat at bay. Chairs are on one side, and blankets are on the other. If you position your seat just right, you will be able to see the stage perfectly. I enjoy sitting on the lawn. Have great conversations with your neighbors and hear great music for free. I go every year. There is plenty of parking, and it fills up fast. Make sure you wear good shoes because it's a STEEP hill on the sides. There's a paved pathway that goes around to a less steep hill. It's a lot of walking if you park far, but there is a drop-off place for those with disabilities. They do have a concession stand that sells food and drinks. Bathrooms and port-a-potties for the large crowd were available. There were vendors selling gelato on both sides of the hill. They did ask for donations to keep this, motown tribute, event free. Tickets are free buyout have to reserve them. Five minutes before the show, they opened up the seating under the Pavillion for those standing in line for the seating.

Watched the Symphony Orchestra perform songs of Summer Nights. it was a beautiful evening, and even from far away the music was able to be heard, as we walked towards the park from our stay. The front area has seating, but you should definitely remember to bring a lawn chair or blanket if you're not going to sit up close. Also there were thousands of people there that came to watch, and everybody was so respectfully quiet.

The Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern, originally built in 1926 as a water reservoir for Houston, has been repurposed into a captivating underground attraction. After being decommissioned due to a leak, the cavernous space was transformed into an art installation venue and tourist destination. Visitors can explore the eerie yet mesmerizing environment filled with hovering columns reflected in shallow water and illuminated by natural light from above.
First time, nice and very interesting. I got the tour and was great. It is 30-35 mi uses tour. Purchase your tickets in advance to be sure the time you are able to entrance.
Jenna D — Google review
I had been thinking about visiting this place for a long time. Just yesterday I found out that entrance to the cistern is free every first Thursday of the month and, today being coincidentally the first Thursday of this month, decided to finally do it - everyone loves a free thing, right? There's also free parking available but you might need some luck to get an available space. The tour into the cistern was pretty bare-boned; some history recounted, some dimensions and capacities discussed. We made an entrance into a darkened space and the guide used her flashlight to illuminate different parts of the place to explain each one. We then did some fun echo and reverberation stuff and finally the lights were turned on to enjoy the whole cistern in all its splendor. The guided part lasted maybe eight to ten minutes, after which we were free to walk around on the surrounding walkways. You may have seen pictures, during your research, of all the columns beautifully lit up. Well, lighting on this tour was very basic. Only the periphery was lit up, the rest of the space was still dark. The complete lighting is apparently only switched on during special events. Over all, it was a nice and enjoyable 25 minutes or so. After visiting the cistern, if you have the time, you may want to go for a walk on the trails next to the bayou, and make it a nice healthy morning for you.

This is a great place to take out of towners. They aren't many cisterns like this so if you don't want to fly to Istanbul, this is your spot. Also, if you want to listen to cool singing or music, they have some artistic events that take advantage of the the acoustics and echoes in the space. Rosemarie was a fantastic tour guide. She was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about the topic. She also dedicated the time to write a poem and learn it in several languages. She's sang it in three languages, which was impressive. It was a pleasure hearing the heartfelt song bounce off of the walls and water to create a unique a sensation of being enveloped by sound. Highly recommend the tour and events. Go early to find parking.

It was a very interesting and informative tour. It was hot outside but just right on the inside. Hard to imagine that the founder father's thought that was going to be enough water for Houston.. My friend and I where in Houston for a vacation so we had time to kill and we saw this on You Tube listed as a thing to do. I recommend it as well. There isn't a lot of parking but if you drive past the place you should see a large parking lot on your right. Just make a right turn and you're there

I’ve lived in the Spring area for over 30 years and don’t travel to Houston often, thanks I45, but made a weekday trip to visit the cistern. I am sooo happy I did. It’s amazing to see the craftsmanship that went into ‘a hole in the ground’ almost 100 years ago. The guides were fantastic with the history, the inside of the cistern, considering the age, is awe inspiring, I can imagine a small intimate instrumental group playing at the base with dim lights and the echoing of their instruments reverberating off the walls. This is a must see…just do t wait 30 years to do so.

I was yearning for some awe and I got a nice dose on my tour of the Cistern. I did both the self guided and historic tours and I enjoyed every bit of my time here. Highlight was the singing by our tour guide. Truly amazing experience

Nestled within Houston's Hermann Park, the Japanese Garden offers a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Modeled in the Daimyo style, this tranquil oasis harmonizes landscapes with waterfalls, bridges, and a teahouse. The meticulously manicured garden features Japanese maples, dogwoods, cherry trees, and a captivating waterfall that creates a peaceful ambiance.
This is a beautiful and peaceful walk near the zoo and museum district. We went on a hot day, but it was still nice with a soft breeze. The gardens are well taken care of, and the animals are used to people and stay close by. We missed the prime cherry blossoms time, but there were still plenty of flowers to enjoy. The path is well cared for, and the bathrooms were also clean and well cared for. I would recommend this walk to anybody looking for some serene moments and beautiful scenery.

What a beautiful hidden gem in the heart of Houston. Very well maintained and a serene location to relax and walk around. They have soo many cute spots within the garden to take pictures and take a stroll. It’s unbelievable that a place like this lives in the middle of a busy Houston city. Soo many fishes and unique birds to look at. Definitely worth checking it out. and it’s FREE to visit.

We strolled through the serene paths of the japanese garden as the festival buzzed around us. The vibrant colors of the decorations and the fragrant air created a magical atmosphere. It was a fantastic experience, especially with all the fun activities planned. The teenagers in our group loved every moment of the day.

A nice hidden gem in Hermann Park and Houston. So beautiful and peaceful. Very well maintained as well. So glad I made the trip over there. Wish it was larger, but it was great regardless. I highly recommend that people visit if they have the time!

We just visited today. The place is heavenly, scenic; capturing plenty of nature, water, birds, stones etc. Romantic ❤️. Great place to propose to your significant other. I think my boyfriend just proposed using the song in the background 🤣. Please pardon me. I'm still trying to figure out how to send the video with the music in the background. 🙏🏾In the meantime go enjoy this beautiful garden at Hermann park.

This property, strategically located near the zoo and museum district, presents a compelling visual appeal. The opportunity to experience the gated, zen-inspired grounds was particularly noteworthy. Situated adjacent to the reflection pool, accessible via a metal gate, the brief walk is highly recommended, culminating in the discovery of an authentic Japanese tea house. A truly exceptional find!

Hermann Park, located in Houston, Texas, is a sprawling 445-acre urban park known for its diverse attractions and activities. Established in 1914, it is one of the largest and most beautiful parks in the city. The park features a golf course, Japanese garden, natural science museum, kiddie train rides, and the Sam Houston monument. Visitors can explore the renowned Houston Zoo within the park's grounds as well. Other highlights include Miller Outdoor Theatre and McGovern Centennial Garden.
The commons playground at Hermann Park is so lovely. There are plenty of things for children to stay entertained and active. There is a water park side where children can play in the sand and pump water throughout a system. It's both fun and a learning adventure. The other side as seen in a few photos I took has lots of slides and climbing areas. As an adult I kept wandering around, climbing on areas meant for both adults and kids to climb/hike. It was fun being able to join my God children. There are also several very well maintained individual bathroom stalls on both sides of the playground. And not too far from there is a nice cafe. If you wanted to you could spend all day at this park and never get bored.

This is a great park. There's something for everyone here. The conservancy and Japanese gardens are stunning. Fantastic playgrounds and picnic areas. The train is $7 and is hop off, hop on all day. The zoo is an additional cost but worth it. Paddle boats are available to rent, as well. This is easily an all day destination that is worth the time.

I absolutely love Memorial Hermann parks — they’ve become one of our favorite places to spend time as a family. The splash pads are amazing — big, clean, and perfect for cooling off on hot days. There’s so much space for kids to run, play, and explore, and the water features keep them entertained for hours. It’s such a gem, especially if you have little ones. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already!

Beautiful park for kids and families . The toy train , Japanese garden and boat ride are highlights in a day long picnic . A thoroughly enjoyable outing in the midst of the city . We can extend it for another day by visiting Houston Zoo

Very cute park! Still have not explored the whole thing, but there were lots of clean benches and places to sit, wide paved pathways (and some gravel ones, typically narrower but still flat and maintained), and lots of turtles in the pond! We even saw some late-season baby ducks today, so cute 🦆

Really beautiful park in Houston. Spent a day here with toddlers and it was amazing! Picnic in the park, ducks to feed, train to ride, paddle boats, carousel and the new Commons area. The Commons is really neat - slides and areas for both bigger kids and small kids….and an area for water and sand play. Loved it and will return.

Space Center Houston is an educational facility that showcases the history of U.S. space travel through various exhibits, tours, and attractions. One of its highlights is the meticulously restored Mission Control, offering a glimpse into how it looked during the 1969 moon landing. Visitors can take a 90-minute tram tour to explore Rocket Park and NASA facilities where space missions are planned and trained for. The center also features a gallery of flown spacecraft and provides insights into space-related questions.
An unforgettable experience at NASA Johnson Space Center! Touching a real moon rock in the Starship Gallery was a surreal moment, connecting me to the Apollo missions’ incredible history. The 2 PM Mission Control Tour was the highlight—standing in the room where Apollo 11 made history and learning about current ISS operations was mind-blowing. The Artemis program and Mission Mars exhibits sparked so much excitement for humanity’s future on the moon and beyond. The Saturn V rocket at Rocket Park is a must-see—its sheer size is awe-inspiring! Despite a tight 4-hour visit (arrived at 12:30), every minute was packed with wonder. Highly recommend for anyone curious about space exploration. Tip: Book the Mission Control Tour early and wear comfy shoes for walking!

Space Center Houston is an incredible place, one of those spots that makes you feel both small and inspired at the same time. The exhibits are fascinating and full of real artifacts from NASA’s missions, not just replicas. You can see actual spacecraft, touch a piece of the moon, and learn about everything from early Apollo missions to the latest space innovations. The tram tour is a must, it takes you to NASA’s Johnson Space Center, where you can see real astronaut training areas and mission control. It feels surreal to stand where history happened. The staff and guides are passionate and full of knowledge, always happy to answer questions and share fun facts. Everything is well organized, clean, and family-friendly. Whether you’re into science, history, or just curious about space, it’s a place that pulls you in and keeps you amazed. Plan to spend a few hours, there’s so much to explore and every part is worth it.

Great place for all ages. It has a ton of fun things to do, including off-site fun like rocket park and the astronaut training facility. The tram tours were nice. The mission:sketch was really cool, and the robots were nice too. There were so many fun things to do and see. The space simulators were really cool, fun, and educational. The cafeteria food was not as bad as I expected, and it was preety good. The skittles machine is super cool, I recommend it.

Located an hours drive from Houston downtown. Entry is. $40USD per adult to get in. There is alot to see and explore. The history is covered well and a number or films to watch to get assistance to understand NASA’s space program. The outside there are many cool displays ro walk and see. You need to really give your self 4 hours to see everything. Worth the visit.

Amazing day out… Last December we spent a whole day at NASA’s Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center with our friends. We reserved our timeslot online. This place serves as an inspiration and educational resources for all ages to learn about past and future space missions. The exhibits, NASA tram tour, historic sites like the Independence Plaza and Rocket Park are praiseful. We appreciate seeing the real artifacts, including spacesuits, spacecraft, and lunar samples. We also tried the motion simulator ride which has an additional fee and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The food court is clean and provides a selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. We also found our ideal NASA souvenir from their gift shop. Although we couldn’t secure a spot for the Historic Mission Control tour due to its limited availability, we would certainly return to take this tour.

So my travel goal has been to go to every Space Center in the US. So far, I've been to here and the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This Space Center is awesome and it was a really enjoyable experience. Tickets here are surprisingly reasonable in price. Actually, all the pricing was really solid even for being a major attraction. I really enjoyed that they had a bunch of different tours inside as well as a bunch of films to watch. I was bummed that mission control was under construction when I was there, but I still got to see the bulk of the space center in the day I was there. I feel like you would need at least 5 hours to see most of the space center, but I feel like at least 2 days would be best. I highly recommend it; it's definitely worth seeing if you're in Houston and want to explore outside the city.

Always an amazing place and always has something new to see. This is a must see if you're in the Houston area. Go on all the free tours and if you have time go on to paid tours as well. Everyone that works there are very helpful. Go ahead and get the picture package cuz it is so worth it compared to other places that you go. Of course the gift shop can be very expensive but you can find a couple of little cheap items like magnets and keychains that you would like.

Space Center Houston is an absolute must-visit for anyone interested in science, technology, and space exploration. The exhibits are interactive and inspiring, covering everything from the Apollo missions to the future of Mars exploration. Walking through the replica of the space shuttle and seeing actual spacecraft gives you a real sense of history. The tram tour to NASA Johnson Space Center was a highlight-you get to see Mission Control and the astronaut training facilities, which makes the experience unforgettable. The staff and guides are very knowledgeable, and everything is organized so visitors of all ages can enjoy and learn. It's also family-friendly, with plenty of engaging activities for kids, and the gift shop has some unique space-themed souvenirs. Plan to spend at least half a day here to fully explore. Highly recor d for both tourists and locals!

Minute Maid Park, the home of Major League Baseball's Houston Astros, is a must-visit destination in downtown Houston. This 45,000-seater stadium boasts a retractable roof, ensuring an enjoyable experience regardless of the weather. The park features a replica 19th-century locomotive that runs along the west side and lights up and makes sounds during key moments in the game. With over 40,000 seats and air-conditioned comfort, it provides an intimate and lively atmosphere for fans.
Really nice stadium! The air conditioning makes a big difference compared to the heat outside — way less humid too. It still gets a little warm up in the higher levels, but overall it was super comfortable. Had a great time watching the Astros play here and would definitely come back.
D K — Google review
I’d say that the food here is definitely better than most parks. Park is easy to get in and out from. The atmosphere is great but the enclosed stadium makes it feel like a giant warehouse so I did not enjoy that. Also the beer is crazy expensive at around $16. Overall my least favorite ballpark I’ve been to but not bad.
Steven M — Google review
Going to home of the Houston Astros, was a blast. The stadium is modern, with a retractable roof and great views from almost every seat. The atmosphere during the game is awesome—fans, music, and cheerleaders really get you into the action. Food and drinks are varied, though a bit pricey, but that doesn’t ruin the experience. Definitely a great spot to hang out with friends or family and enjoy some baseball.

5 star operation happening there, one of the best in the business. We’re chasing 30 and have 22 down, this being one of the best ones. Fan spirit is great, lots of special touches from the train to the shooting stars cheerleaders. Lots of space around the stadium, tons of food vendors it is great. So many food options there, they really did it well. The best part of the food and team store is nobody is turning the payment screen around for a tip, how dang refreshing in a world that thinks tips should come with someone doing their basic job. Went on dollar dog night, Tuesday was great to us. Team store provides military and veteran discounts on merchandise which is nice. Special shoutout to the security there they do well without being rude. Special shoutout out to the great guy at the corner of Texas ave and Crawford, he was helping everyone very friendly he went above and beyond.

Went to the Astros vs Yankees tonight. Had a great time. It was my time to Daikin Park and the stadium was amazing. There were plenty of vendors and tonight was $1.00 hot dog night. The stadium was easy to find your way around and the employees were more than helpful with any questions. Over all a Great experience...

The stadium is amazing but……the service capacity of restrooms is terrible. Considering it’s been more than 20 years, it should be compared wit) Chase field in Phoenix which opened in mid 90s and has better service capability. Food at Daikin park is as expensive as other stadiums, which is good for attendees

The See You At The Top Fleet stopped by Daikin Baseball Park on Wednesday and it did not disappoint. From the crowd to the field, everything about this park shows how strong Houston’s love for baseball is. A great place to enjoy the game and the community that comes with it. SEE YOU AT THE TOP 🚀

It’s always a fun time when you are watching baseball with family- Minute Maid- which is now called Daikin has great food section from hotdogs to loaded brisket potato’s, every beer you could think of, and every perfect snack! Great place for a family experience! I wish it was easier to find better parking at a reasonable rate but with the stadium being in the middle of downtown, I don’t think that would ever change. Definitely will come back soon!

Located in the heart of Houston, the Toyota Center is a bustling entertainment hub that hosts a variety of events such as live music performances, concerts, and basketball games. With a seating capacity exceeding 20,000, it consistently draws large crowds for its lineup of renowned artists and sports competitions. The venue's versatility allows for custom staging, dynamic lighting, and top-notch sound systems to create an immersive experience for attendees.
I loved how near I was from the stage. I could see Shakira 10 ft far. I found it very interesting that they had a nursing pod, hearing aid devices, and some things that I didn’t know that existed like sensory bags, equipped with noise canceling headphones, fidget tools, verbal cue cards and weighted lap pads. They also have a sensory room, which provides a quick sensory refuge for those with sensory needs. It is a great place to step away, decompress for 10-15 minutes, and then go back to enjoying the event. To access the Sensory Room, visit the Guest Relations booth at Bell Street, across from Section 125 / 126.

I flew from Milwaukee to Houston to see Nine Inch Nails, and this venue is really great. I had sat in section 418 row 1, perfect straight-on view of the show. The sound quality was excellent and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is that there's some room for improvement, specifically for navigation and seating. This venue is going through some visible remodeling, and I hope they fix the seating because the seats were really lacking some cushioning so it felt like sitting on metal bars essentially. But one of the biggest areas of improvement is that there's no escalators in the venue. The only way to get up to our seats was either by stairs or elevator. The elevator was understandably slow due to the volume of people who need the elevator, but it's so odd that there's no escalators in the venue. I feel like it would be a big improvement to have for overall experience to speed up getting to our seats. However, I do recognize that there's remodeling going on so I think maybe it'll be updated in the future. Overall, I still really enjoyed this venue and would definitely come back to see a concert here if I'm ever back in Houston.
Katie J — Google review
We got tickets for a preseason game. They were cheap, yeah, but we were up in the 400 section and these seats are terrible. The rows are super steep, and there aren’t any cup holders at all. One adult beverage was forty bucks, which is just wild. Overall, it was a fun experience to say we went, but definitely not worth it for those seats. Just nah, lol.
Netta — Google review
Went to a couple Rockets games on my visit and I must say this is one of the cleanest arenas I’ve been in. The staff does a great job keeping it tidy. However, there are issues with the courtside staff attitude. They can be very rude and disrespectful in how they treat people who paid hundreds to thousands of dollars for seats. It’s possible to be courteous and respectful when asking fans to observe the rules of the arena. Fans are typically just EXCITED to take pictures and scream yelling at them is not necessary. Be kind, it’s free (unlike the tickets)!
Da'Love W — Google review
I always loving to go here to see bands period usually the staff is pretty nice and helpful if you need to figure some stuff out. The only thing I would say is just like any other Stadium the prices for their drinks find food is terribly overpriced. But if you're just there to see a band or any live show of any kind I'm not planning on drinking alcohol or eating it's definitely a fun venue to go to.
Anthony F — Google review
The staff here are always very polite and will gladly assist you with any questions, concerns, directions, etc. Also, the venue feels safe. There is a strict clear bag policy. Please check size guidelines for mentioned clear bags. I've seen people be turned around before entry because their clear bag was too big.

Love this park...even if we didn't get to explore all of it. Lots of seating for the grown ups, nice playground all around, a nice water feature to cool off and we loved the splash pad. And all the beautiful mature trees all around that area (OUR FAULT: my kid hurt his toe in one of the ground water drain thing...because he was at the splash pad without shoes...make sure your kiddos wear shoes 🙏 I didn't see the sign until after his injury) But we saw they have water bumper boats maybe next time we can try them out

It’s such a beautiful and relaxing spot right in the middle of the city. The park is always clean, well-kept, and full of life, there’s always something going on, whether it’s a live concert, art installation, outdoor yoga, or a community event. It’s a great place for families, couples, or anyone who just wants to unwind outdoors. The playground area is perfect for kids, and during the warmer months, the splash pad is a huge hit. My kids absolutely love running through the water while I relax nearby. There’s also a small lake where you can rent paddle boats, which is a fun activity if you’re looking to do something different. The wide open lawns are great for picnics, and there are plenty of shaded spots if you just want to sit and enjoy the view. The only real downside is the traffic and parking situation. Do not go during rush hour, or you’ll find yourself stuck in traffic and circling for a parking spot for what feels like forever. I spent almost 30 minutes once just trying to find a place to park. It’s definitely worth visiting, but plan your trip for earlier in the day or later in the evening when things calm down a bit. Other than that, Discovery Green is a gem in the heart of Houston. It’s lively, scenic, and full of things to do for all ages. Whether you’re going for a walk, a picnic, or just to people-watch, it’s a great way to enjoy a bit of nature without leaving the city

The Cockrell Butterfly Center, located at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, offers a captivating experience for visitors to explore the enchanting world of butterflies and insects. The center features a walk-through rainforest habitat called the Rainforest Conservancy, where visitors can marvel at exotic plants and live butterflies fluttering around a 50-foot waterfall. Additionally, the center showcases extensive exhibits and presentations on diverse arthropods.
5 starts to the butterflies ONLY : It was beautiful to watch the butterflies but not when the butterflies are trying to escape and die near the windows. Some butterflies were coming out of the cocoons in the glass contained cocoons which was very sad. They also had some butterflies in tiny containers you’d have to pay $15 to release a butterfly. Zero stars to the prison made to contain those beautiful butterflies :’( Food was expensive.

The Cockrell Butterfly Center is truly a magical experience! The moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by a lush, tropical environment filled with hundreds of colorful butterflies fluttering all around you. It feels like walking into a living, breathing rainforest. The exhibits are not only beautiful but also educational — from the butterfly life cycle displays to the interactive insect exhibits, there’s something fascinating for both kids and adults. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to answer questions. The rainforest conservatory is well-maintained and offers great photo opportunities. Brenner's on the Bayou is an upscale steakhouse located along Buffalo Bayou near Memorial Park, offering a picturesque setting for a memorable dining experience. The restaurant features an elegant, woodsy interior with a cozy cocktail lounge, dark wood accents, and a wine cellar. Guests can also enjoy the charming garden terrace overlooking the bayou.
Brenner’s on the Bayou is such a beautiful spot. while the interior is elegant and cozy, the real magic is outside. The patio is absolutely stunning, nestled among trees and overlooking the bayou. It feels like a serene escape right in the middle of the city. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, making the experience feel effortless from start to finish. I have to mention the butternut squash salad, it was so refreshing and flavorful, and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t usually like butternut squash! Highly recommend for a special night out or a relaxing meal with a view.

Our overall experience was absolutely amazing..First time at this restaurant & chose to celebrate our 2yr wedding anniversary for dinner on Saturday & again on Sunday for brunch... Very imitate setting, beautiful scenery, amazing food & exceptional service from staff. Alex & Brian took great care of us on Saturday night & Morgan followed up with exceptional service on Sunday! The food was just everything & we were so full & satisfied with everything that was brought out.. Receptionist wasn't very accommodating with our seating initially and had to go back & few times to get corrected but overall our experience was outstanding... As a LSR we'll definitely be back..

I celebrated my birthday here today and If I could give this place one million stars I would. The roasted farm chicken… so tender and juicy it was practically melting in my mouth. I wish I could personally thank the chicken for his time. The Mac and cheese was probably the best Mac and cheese I’ve had in my life, it actually had no business being that good. The mashed potatoes? Spectacular, give me 14 of them. Everything was beyond perfect, from the food to the atmosphere, the decor, the candle lit vibes, the live music outside yet quiet and elegant surroundings, even the valet men were the kindest people! Don’t even get me started on the actual service! My glass of water was never less than half empty and it tasted like it was poured straight from the heavens. Our waiter was literally too good at his job, he gave me a delicious birthday desert on top of the best possible experience and The general manager took the time to come to our table and personally wish me a happy birthday. I will definitely be dining here again and again and again! So happy we found this hidden gem!!

We were here in Houston for visiting and were invited to Brenner’s. So I will say that we had a wonderful first experience there. Great outdoor and beautiful decoration inside. Can’t wait to try the one in San Antonio. However, The service was outstanding and the food delicious. I highly recommend👌🏽!

At first I didn’t want to eat here, it was my wife’s idea. But wow, great choice honey! I was pleasantly surprised. The food, decor, atmosphere, and music were great. The steak and dessert were both Goldilocks. After dinner we sat in the garden. A rabbit sat near us until we left.

Wow, the food here is fantastic! I've been to Brenner's in San Antonio on the Riverwalk and loved it, so I had to try the location here in Houston. I was not disappointed; this food was so good and it was a great experience overall. We ordered a variety of items and all were fantastic, but I highly recommend the Texas Kisses appetizer. It might be one of the best apps I've ever had at a restaurant. Seriously if you love bacon and seafood it's a must-have. I ordered the Crab Legs and my dad ordered a filet. Both were absolutely fantastic. I also ordered a chocolate Souffle and it was amazing! It was soooo good. Service was excellent. The servers were very fast to respond and were super friendly. It was definitely a great restaurant to come to for a first time visit to Houston.

Exceptional Dining by the Bayou We had an excellent experience at Brenner’s Steakhouse on the Bayou. The food was absolutely perfect — the crab cake was especially delicious — and the service was impeccable from start to finish. The atmosphere is elegant yet warm, with beautiful views that make the whole experience even more special. Highly recommended for a memorable dinner or any special occasion.

Another amazing experience at Brenner's. This was my first experience sitting outside, & in July! There was a nice breeze & since it was a holiday, not busy. Service is personable and goes above the average experience. The drinks are fantastic. We shared a charcuterie board for our starter. I had the lamb lollipops for my main, more than enough, better for sharing. My dining buddies had the skirt steak and we shared the mouth watering au gratin potatoes and brussel sprouts. Save room for the apple strudel and creme brulee. I need to try a souffle next time. Beautiful grounds.

Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, part of the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, showcases American decorative arts and paintings in a historic mansion surrounded by 14 acres of manicured gardens. Once the private residence of philanthropist Ima Hogg, the property features eight formal gardens and a diverse collection that includes ceramics and silver. Visitors can explore this serene setting to appreciate both the art and natural beauty.
We visited the Christmas Village at Bayou Bend last night and had a wonderful experience. The setting was absolutely stunning, with plenty of parking and an easy layout to navigate. We had pre-purchased our tickets with the upgrade for the guided tour of the home, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. The tour guides, who doubled as actors, did an excellent job of bringing the history and charm of the home to life. One of my favorite parts was the tent in the center, complete with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and train circling around it. We especially loved indulging in some spiked hot chocolate—it was the perfect treat to enjoy in such a magical atmosphere.

I really enjoyed walking through the grounds, taking in fresh air, catching the scenic views but most of all, the quite I experienced was truly appreciated. It felt like an oasis in this big city. I would definitely recommend going during the week when there's less foot traffic. There are so many shaded spots where one can sit and enjoy a good book.

This is so beautiful. It’s a house and garden from the 1700’s. The tour explains a lot of details. The furniture and the art pieces are beautiful to look at. The gardens are so relaxing, I could spend hours here.

This place was amazing. If your interested in sweeping gardens, art and Texas history in the middle of Houston this place is a must! We didn't the garden and House tour! The tour guide was the sweetest little lady. I am sad I don't recall her name. My friend and I just had the best time with her. She was so knowledgeable and kind! We will definitely be back when the azaleas bloom!

Sadly I came on a day the house was closed due to no AC so I paid $12 USD ($16.50 Cdn) (cost for the grounds) which are not worth it in mid August when nothing is in bloom. I would highly recommend coming when azaleas, magnolias and camellias are in bloom, not when I came out. The workers on the grounds take great pride in their gardening and it shows. They love to let you know about the trees and flowers too and were very friendly. The gardens are quite pretty but wait till they are in bloom and def go to see the house for the extra $2 USD.

I was working during my visit so seeing everything is another trip, however, I will be back as a patron and museum goer! The grounds are beautiful! You can picnic here! It's quiet, historic and plenty of room for a rambunctious kiddo to run around. As a Texan, who didn't even know this was an area of Texas from the beginning, it's amazing how well preserved it is, walk amongst what was once the literal beginning of this great state. I love history, especially history you can see, and experience for yourself, not quite a time capsule experience, but one worth visiting for natives and visitors alike.

Etoile Cuisine Et Bar is a sophisticated French restaurant located in Uptown Park, Houston. Founded by Master Chef Philippe Verpiand and Monica Bui, it offers traditional and seasonal menus with a modern twist on French cuisine while staying true to regional traditions. The interior has a modern farmhouse style.
Absolutely loved! Our favorite place out of all of the ones we tried for Houston Restaurant Weeks. The escargot and lobster bisque were wonderful. The steak was cooked very well. The risotto was delicious and hearty. And the pistachio merengue dessert had me scraping the bottom of the bowl!

I really wanted to like this place, especially since I usually love mussels. Unfortunately, my recent visit was far from enjoyable. To start, even though it was only 5 PM on a Monday and the restaurant was mostly empty, we were seated in a spot with harsh direct sunlight—despite many other open tables available. It was an uncomfortable beginning. We started off fine—the appetizers were good, and the staff was quick to change plates and cutlery. But things went downhill with the main course. We ordered the large portion of green mussels, and they were extremely fishy. Even as someone who tolerates fishiness well, I couldn't eat them. My friend, who is pregnant, was especially sensitive to the strong smell and couldn’t touch it at all. When we told the staff, they seemed annoyed and insisted that “green mussels are supposed to be like that.” We disagreed, and they immediately took the dish away, including our plates, folks, and my friend’s knife. To make matters worse, the service became incredibly inattentive. Our servers were often chatting among themselves or with other guests, ignoring our table for long periods. At one point, after our mussels were taken away, we were left with no plates or cutlery, staring at our cooling duck dish without being able to eat it. When we finally got our next dish, we had to repeatedly ask for plates and forks. It took multiple requests and long waits just to get basic dining tools. The duck—which was really delicious when hot—became unpleasantly fishy and unappetizing once it cooled down. My friend couldn’t eat it, so I finished it, but it really wasn’t enjoyable. It’s a shame because most of the dishes (like the duck and onion soup) were really good, but the inconsistent service, poorly executed seafood, and lack of attention to basic comfort really let us down. We won’t be returning.

Going back in time. Love this place. We make the trip to the end of the Hwy 45 to simply have dinner at this sparkle ! Very traditional fine dining setting with retro decor. Not a large space , but very well laid out with sufficient room and tables in set for 2 /4/6/8 to sit comfortably on the back wall. Service is always at your call for bread , tap and plate rotation. Heavy silverware, polished glassware and fine china! About the food. Well if driving 4 hours for dinner does not tell you something , then you need to go try it out. If you are closer than me , you have no excuses. My only guideline for a French place is a Foix Gras in any form or shape or execution. Pan fried , cold pate, chopped in a pasta dish. But if it is not part of the menu, I can have a sandwich somewhere else. Dress up , do your manicures and treat yourself to a fine French cuisine. Chef will come out and say hello! Surprisingly for a Frenchman he is a nice garçon! See you at Etoile.

Wonderful service & atmosphere. The lobster bisque is always a hit and this place has some of the best bread & butter in town. However, the sole I got was really oily and was not seasoned. French food tends to be conservative with spices and it’s hard not to wish my plate had a little more flavor. But overall Étoile has always been a nice dining experience and I’ll definitely be back. ❤️

Very nice restaurant with lovely decor and romantic atmosphere. I loved their Lobster bisque and Bouef Bourguignon was very delicious. My wife enjoyed her Chillian seabass. The only complaint was the service. For such a small restaurant, our server was extremely slow all night and we had to wave him down several times just to get our bill so we could pay and leave.

Had a lovely time at this restaurant located in a cute walkable plaza. Several employees were actually French. Great wine selection for both bottles and BTG. We also enjoyed the food and service. The large beef tartare portion is LARGE indeed.
Valeria — Google review
This is my favorite French restaurant in town. Dishes are traditional to French cooking. I started with the moules a la creme. The mussels were clean and didn’t carry that dirty beach smell unlike some restaurants do. I was impressed that they maintained clean fresh mussels. The flesh was plump and moist and the cream sauce delicious. Next time I would ask for bread to dip and finish the sauce. My wife had the duck breast which was done perfectly. I tasted the seared food gras which is always good. Smokey and buttery is how I would describe the taste. I had the $82 sole dovres which is flown in from Dover, England. It was cooked as a some meunière which is a lemon butter sauce. The sauce was on point but I didn’t think there was anything special about the sole. If I tasted it blind I wouldn’t know the difference between the sole or another decent white fish. $82 is too much and I wouldn’t order this again. The panna cotta was tasty with the crunchy bits and berries. I jut wished there was more of the cream. Overall it was a good experience and I’d return here to try something new.

Nestled in downtown Houston, the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is a modern complex featuring two theaters and a grand three-story lobby with French-inspired design offering stunning views of the city skyline. The center is renowned as the prime entertainment hub in the Houston Theater District, housing the impressive 2,650-seat Sarofim Hall, the intimate 500-seat Zilkha Theatre, and the Humphreys School of Musical Theater.
i have nothing but great things to say about The Hobby Center experience. Only once have i used garage parking, it's $15. I aim to park around City Hall. the employees have always been super helpful and courteous, one even smiled for my camera. The drinks are a bit overpriced, but that doesn't stop me from purchasing before and for intermission. if it's a popular show, you can expect the elevator line to be long, but it moves along. I've never seen a faster moving ladies line than the one that forms here at the ladies restroom during intermission. The seats are comfy, but if you are plus size the arm space might be limited. Anyone of any ability is able to attend because they make accommodations, which is marvelous. The great thing about the Hobby Center is that it allows people of all incomes to attend. Tickets prices usually begin around $35 to $40. all seats and good seats regardless of the level. I've never used a valet so can't comment on that but I always see that it's full. Definitely come out and see a show!

Review for American Psycho! TL;DR definitely go see it! Parking was very easy in the Hobby Garage for $20. Thankfully, a nice gentleman working outside pointed us towards the correct entrance. We arrived about 30 minutes early and got our tickets from Will Call with no issues, taking some photos of the 80's memorabilia outside. It was easy to find our way to the upstairs seats in the Left Mezzanine. I don't think there are really any bad seats in the theater; I could clearly hear and see everything. The show itself was longer than expected (ended around 10:30PM) but it was so much fun. I went in blind, having not seen American Psycho, and it was definitely inspiration to go watch the movie. The actors and musicians were top notch, the scene transitions were smooth, and they used lightning to highlight movement extremely well. A few minor camera jostles here and there and I think the Detective's microphone was a tad lower but overall, an amazing production for one of their first showings!
David P — Google review
This theater has some of the most incredible performances. I’ve enjoyed Peter Pan & Life of Pi. Parking can be hectic I recommend arriving 45 mins early if you want to park on site. Easier to uber if you live close. Visuals at Life of Pi were just instantly good followed by amazing actors.
Evelyn L — Google review
The volunteers are almost always a delight, brimming with enthusiasm. Those that aren't are still polite and professional. The staff are generally very good though sometimes it slips at the concession stands, things like not scanning your season ticket vouchers can happen. If you spot that, the theater puts it right. Ultimately, that's the part that matters when mistakes are made. Seats are comfortable, most guests respect the no phones rules. Those that don't usually respond to a polite "reminder." Nobody wants to be distracted or blinded because you can't leave your phone alone or step out to sort something. Plus the actors can see that shining light and it's rude. (Rant over.) All the shows we've been to have been high quality performances, with some real standout performances. Allow Time (with a capital T) to get out of the car park. Obviously, a lot of people are leaving at the same time and you can be there a while.
Helen W — Google review
I have only been to 3 theaters prior for broadway productions. The Amsterdam theater, CiBC Chicago and Hotel Theatre in Vegas. The Hobby Center by far was my best viewing experience because of the site lines and the sheer comfort and leg room of the seats. I am 6 ft 2 / 235 lbs, so I fill up a seat pretty good! This was our first time here so I was a little nervous about the parking situation because we arrived only 45 minutes prior to our 7pm showing. The paid parking was a breeze but the lesson learned was to probably arrive at least 1 hour ahead so you don’t end up above the 4th floor. When leaving the exiting process is the worst part of the whole experience. They empty the garage from the bottom up! A better option would probably be to valet if you don’t want the hassle ($25) . The theater is also one of the better looking ones that I have visited. Everything was clean including the restrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had right balcony seats for The Wiz and the view was very good. The only thing that may have been slightly off was that with certain characters I had trouble understanding the dialogue. There was also an elevator not operating so transporting people to the upper levels was limited to one elevator but the staff did a great job of making that happen as efficiently as possible. It took us about 30 minutes to get out of the garage after getting to our car, so that’s my reason for the 4 Stars and not 5. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Went to see Joe banamasssa, thier ticket app was a fail, kick us out mid order, finally able to buy tickets, we go to the show, mind you I don't match the demographic of his fans, so I was singled out for secondary screening, then, finally we get to the ticke taker, and again the app failed, she asked if it ws a screenshot, not possible on thier app, they dont even know how thier own app works, sent us back to the ticket windows for paper tickets, what the point of the dumb app. Show was good, venue not so much. Future events here, I will have second thoughts as this is the second time I've had Issues with ticketing.
Dave O — Google review
Easy parking and seated within 10 minutes of parking. Nice venue. As with many places, the intermission line for the women's restroom was ginormous...wish the architects would plan for that. Snacks and water prices were about $5 each Sound and sight line was good in the upper balcony. Binoculars would have been nice.

Paulie's is a laid-back Italian cafe and espresso bar owned by Paul Petronella, offering a variety of housemade pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, and Panini. The wine list is designed to be user-friendly and the staff is knowledgeable and ready to assist. In addition to the food menu, there are also sweet treats like cookies, brownies, bread pudding, and pie available for dessert.
Absolutely one of, if not the absolute best Italian restaurants in Houston. We stopped in on a Tuesday night after seeing great reviews online for Paulie's. Upon arrival, there is a private parking lot behind the restaurant that was easy and convenient to park in. When we walked inside the restaurant, we took note of the pleasant and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is counter-service style and very convenient to order and find a table. The menu is wonderful with plenty of selections without being overwhelming. We ordered vegetable soup, pesto pasta with chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, and Canestri and Broccoli (shells with oil/garlic/parmesean, and broccoli with chicken). We also ordered iced tea and ginger lemonade as well. The ginger lemonade and iced tea was very good, fresh, and not too sweet. The vegetable soup was rustic, homemade, and had an amazing broth. The soup was full of thick cut veggies (carrots, celery, potatoes, red peppers, corn, and green beans). This was one of the absolute best veggie soups I've ever had, and $7 for a large bowl is a great value. The spaghetti and meatballs was VERY good. The sauce is a homemade San Marzano tomato sauce. Very rich flavor without too much acidity. The meatballs were moist, tender, flavorful, and not overly spiced. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The pesto was extremely fresh and bright with very clean and light flavors and a delicious olive oil base. The kalamata olives were a very nice touch, and the grilled chicken was cooked to perfectly. Nice crispy pan seared outside and so moist and tender inside. Again, the pasta was cooked perfectly. The Canestri and Brocccoli (shells with olive oil/parmesean/garlic with broccoli and chicken) was absolutely out of this world. One of the best pasta dishes I've ever had in my life. Dripping with flavor without being too heavy. Again, the pasta and chicken were both cooked perfectly. The meals came with garlic bread, which was very nice. Not overwhelming with garlic and cooked perfectly. Such a nice compliment to the meals. We finished up with a mocha latte and some of their homemade Easter shortbread cookies. Excellent latte, with beautiful flavor and not too sweet. The shortbread Easter cookies were absolutely incredible. Mindblowingly good how buttery and tasty these are. The price for dinner 3 people without alcohol was around $77 and another $12 for the coffee and cookies (all not counting tip). Overall, this is truly a hidden gem of Houston. If you want REALLY good Italian food at a VERY good price, and in the greater Houston area, this is the #1 place to go, period.

3.5 Pasta was fresh and perfectly tender. Pasta portion with chicken picatta seemed small compared to other dishes, but flavor was excellent. Also there was no bread nor parmesan available. There were also too many orders being taken at once resulting in groups of people just hovering around tables, waiting to grab a seat.

A Houston iconic restaurant that has been here for 27 years as they open back in 1998 but set to close at the end of December 2025, so visit they one more time before it is too late. They are known for their home made pasta and other Italian food and a great wine list and the cookies. You order at the counter, then find your table, and when your food is ready your pager will go off and you get your food at the pick up food area. You will get your own water and utensils, it is a nice and clean neighborhood restaurant where if you live around here you may run into some what you know and I feel like that is a good feeling.

Walked here from the aquarium because I was craving ice cream...did not expect it to be housed in an old post office converted into a giant food hall! I love all of the neon signage. Well I finally made the trip to downtown Htown to visit the Post Houston and enjoyed the date. Yes, good date outing. I think I expected more but enjoyed the place. It is not as big as the hype but that’s okay. When you enter the first floor it’s mainly the food court section in the middle. It’s Like a mall food courts. A little something for everyone. Who is everyone? Well, local American and foreign. This I like because I like a variety. I saw hot chicken breast sandwiches to huge real meat hamburgers to Caribbean dishes to Thai dishes to loaded baked potatoes to whole fried huge fishes to Chinese food. There are deserts and two very nice bars serving up adult beverages! Big screen TVs playing the current big Saturday afternoon college football game. We visited on last Saturday around 3pm. People watching is the number one thing that was going on. I saw more national of people in one place than I have anywhere else in Houston other than the Zoo or Herman Park! On each side of the food court is other shops and businesses. You can head upstairs or to the rooftop for a chilled relaxing area and romantic view of the Downtown Houston Skyline. It was October so an Octoberfest was going on with pop up bars and food vendors serving small bites and beverages. There is seating up there and two ways of getting up there, huge stairs or by elevator. I took a few pictures of upstairs because I plan to paint that Htown Skyline! Now word of advice for the cologne and perfume place downstairs, stay clear. Over priced fakes that you can get on Amazon or elsewhere for $30-$40 cheaper! Magic word, fakes! Don’t let them tell you any differently. Just look closely at the boxes or scan the bar codes and compare online right there in front of them. Talk them down!😉

Great place for events, flowers, and food! Very community based. I have been going here regularly since last year for Urban Hymnal worship night and Eden Church Houston. I’ve also been for other various events such as photoshoots and fashion shows. Great place for experiencing Houston and some of its history!

The Post in Houston is an incredible spot that’s perfect for both family outings and date nights. I've already been there twice this month and can’t wait to go back again soon. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of energy, with plenty of unique photo ops throughout the venue, especially the stunning staircases that are both modern and artistic. It’s a great place to just walk around, explore, and soak in the creative design. There are tons of food options to choose from, ranging from international flavors to classic comfort dishes, making it easy to please everyone in your group. While the food can be a bit pricey, the quality and experience make it well worth it. Upstairs offers a beautiful rooftop view of downtown Houston, and there’s a huge outdoor space that feels like a backyard park. It's complete with open seating, fresh air, and a laid-back vibe. Whether you’re going for the food, the views, or just to hang out in a cool space, the Post delivers on all fronts. It’s definitely become one of my favorite places in the city.

I came by here the last Monday of October, this place has so many food options. The service was impeccable. And it’s a great place to bring anyone with its wide variety and ample seating. I will return to explore more.

My overall experience was good. If it weren't for the ice cream shop, I would have given it a five. The ice cream shop needs to be improved. The employees were very uninterested in being there. I have been to many ice cream parlors and $8 - $10 is average for a waffle cone with 1 - 2 scoops of ice cream. The waffle cone was not fresh, not sealed with the paper that keeps the ice cream from leaking on your hand, and they didn't have napkins. I had to go to the communal napkin dispenser above the garbage can and next to a broom and dustpan. It was so unsanitary. They were unbothered and not apologetic about not having napkins. It's a standard part of the service and unexpected for an ice cream parlor that charges up to $12 for its products. The rest of my experience was great. The scenery and art were interesting. The South African food was so good and the employees at all the other vendor booths were professional and helpful.

What an amazing place. I enjoyed the scenery, the food, dessert, and the designs all across the building. Absolutely gorgeous and photogenic. This is a perfect touristy spot I would say. Everytime I have friends or family visit Houston, I make sure to show them POST. Even during the hot summer! Its location also has a lot of other nearby hot spots like the aquarium and the museum. I wish we had more places like these in Houston!

Nice spot to visit! We’re tourist and came to eat and just check things out. Rooftop area was still under a bit of construction. Also too warm for us to hang out there but I bet it’s beautiful at night. Tried a few different stalls including the pho, tacos, and Philly fries. No stand outs but still very good! I like the big variety.

Z on 23 is a stylish rooftop terrace located atop Le Meridien Houston Downtown, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city skyline. The open-air bar features comfy lounge seating and serves crafted signature cocktails, premium spirits, and wine in a warm yet stylish atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy the striking colors of a Texas sunset and watch as the downtown buildings light up at night while sipping on their favorite drinks.
The view is great, the vibe is great, but the drinks are expensive and just ok, served in plastic cups and super basic. You are paying for the environment for sure! Minimal food menu, you’re better off getting your main drinks and food elsewhere and then coming here to hang out. But it’s definitely worth at least an hour of hanging out up here! Plus they have fun party music playing in the evening and sometimes live music. Overall for sure recommend for the experience!
Maya J — Google review
Good spot! The view of the city was really nice. I liked that there was no cover charge, just what you order. The drinks were alright, maybe a little too sweet, but still enjoyable. The music could’ve been better, but at least it wasn’t too loud, so you could actually have a conversation. I went on a Saturday night and it wasn’t as packed as I expected. Overall, I’d recommend it.
Brandon A — Google review
I like to atmosphere of this place as same as the cocktails.the service was really great too. This place locates in the downtown, which is technically a place that quite hard to get through of you own a car. The parking lot nearby is very pricy especially on a day that the game is held at the stadium.
Moss C — Google review
Only good thing about this place was the view honestly. Service was absolutely horrible at the person that was serving me. I with an other person. Everything was awful from the greeting to the drink. She had an attitude when she greeted us. When she asked us for 3 IDs? When there’s only 2 of us. Then she proceeded to ask us for a valid ID when we both have 2 Valid USA drivers license?!? Indiana and Texas are both in USA last time I checked. And to be completely honest I couldn’t even understand her with her accent?!? I am a US citizen? We asked for 2 drinks she made the drinks on top of the bar before us and suddenly she decided to make the drinks under the bar. And didn’t even ask what kind of alcohol. Not good at ALL. Had to throw the whole thing away I don’t she even put any alcohol in it. Honestly, don’t recommend at all. But maybe it was just a person attending me she Was an older lady with curly hair, glasses and hat tattoo on her shoulder honestly do not recommend.
Kasandra M — Google review
What a complete joke of a place. I went here today because some people recommended it — big mistake. First, they don’t take Apple Pay. Only cash or a physical card. No sign, no warning — nothing. Welcome to the Stone Age. Then I ordered a whiskey and coke a few times, and they stuffed the glass with ice and barely poured any whiskey. When I asked the bartender to actually pour a real drink and chill with the ice, he had the nerve to say it would cost extra. Absolute scam. The music on the terrace? Garbage. It was a Saturday night and felt like I was stuck in a cheap, dead-end bar with someone’s busted playlist. A whiskey and coke costs $20 — for this dump? You’ve got to be kidding. The place is tiny, boring, and has zero vibe. Those prices belong in top-tier clubs, not in some sad little hole like this. Hardly any seating, the food sucks, and even after I specifically asked for no onions on my burger — they still put onions. Can’t even follow basic instructions. This place is overpriced, unprofessional, and straight-up trash. Never coming back.

This is an amazing rooftop in Downtown Houston. The service (Thanks Lisa!) and views are fantastic.

The view was amazing, and drinks also were good. The bartender gave me attitude but for the rest of the drinks I opted to go to a different bartender and she was amazing! I would love to go during Christmas season. Definitely worth the drive from San Antonio to Houston to have that view of the city. If you’re in a romantic date I would recommend to go during the sunset.

Stopped by to check it out while in town on business. I usually have a great experience at Le Meridian rooftop lounges (especially 54 Thirty in Denver), however, the bartender Eselli was terrible. No personality, snotty tone & just straight up rude. Highly disappointed and DO NOT recommend!!

It offers a harmonious blend of music, mixology, and Southern-inspired dishes. The venue hosts live performances featuring various music genres such as blues, folk, hip-hop, gospel, rock, and country.
My first visit to the House of Blues Houston. The place is amazing and there's really no bad view (the safety rail on the balcony is in the way). Planning my next trip. If you haven't attended a concert here I recommend it.

First time going last night and it was an awesome experience! Husband and I saw Ocean Valley and the vibes were great. Cozy atmosphere and it didn’t feel like we were on top of people. The only cons I have are the food and bathrooms. The bathrooms downstairs were nice but upstairs the toilets were pretty gross. The food wasn’t great either. For the price I didn’t expect something that seemed like microwaved frozen food. Didn’t hinder my experience though! 🤍 They should also look into making the area more wheelchair accessible. Inside there was a ramp on the side closer to the entrance but not on the opposite side where the elevator is. Just steps/stairs. It didn’t affect me directly but I noticed how it affected others.

A great Venue for shows... saw The Crystal Method and Paul Oakenfold and it was so amazing!!!! They put on a badass set! Bartender did a mix for Lords of Acid and was so super cool! Really, go see a show and have some fun!
Michael R — Google review
Saw Freddie Gibbs, MAVI, and Jalen Ngonda 9/27/25 7pm. Show was supposed to start at 7, so why was the line snaked outside the building at 7:30? I'm uncertain if the doors were opened earlier for access. If not and feasible, that should be considered. Ordered brisket sliders, fries, and 2 liquid death waters for $30.32. The food was good and prepared very quickly. Our seats were on the top right. Show was okay. Noticed multiple individuals smoking vapes and marijuana. Staff should be more present in the aisles. Additionally, letters and numbers on seats should be more visible.

We went and saw Marianas Trench here. The bathrooms were clean and the attendant was very nice. They gave out water to those of us standing for five hours on the floor. Things that can be improved include the price of water ($7+), and the way lines are organized ahead of a show. The general admission line was one floor below the actual venue entrance and it became very hot there. However, the venue was properly air conditioned inside and we had a good time.

Great experience! Its very cozy. We had a vip table so we were able to eat and drink close to the live music, then get up and dance right next to the stage. We plan to go again.

Pay the 13.00 valet service. I love the venue for concerts. I hate standing. 50.00 a person for seats at the back of VIP are. The atmosphere is un beatable though. Cashless venue, Domestic beer 14, margaritas 15, Strawberry Ginger Lemonade 20

This is a very cool place for the family . It’s a very inexpensive day of fun. If you played a game as a kid , you play games as an adult they have all your favorites. Not just one , you will see multiple of some games, I thought it was great idea for the classic ones everyone wants to play. Very clean place . Staff was friendly. The do sell food and drinks. Soda fountain, you can buy a cup and have unlimited refills . They have it all , arcade , pinball, skeet ball, air hockey, car and motorcycle racing games . Lots of group games to play together. They have a huge light up floor game in the corner , it’s big . Lots of places to sit and chill . After 9pm it’s an adult only game room . We will definitely be back. Parking was a little crazy but we had a blast.

If you like a party atmosphere with arcade games spanning over the last 45 years in gaming then you'll love this place. Tons of retro and modern games. One room has the game where the floor is a grid of lights to jump and dance on to get points. There's games like Mario Bros and asteroids to classic Alien and swat shooters, a whole row of pinball machines. Just one cover fee of $12 and you can play whatever you like for as long as you like.

Cidercade has an awesome vibe with something for everyone. The arcade is packed with a mix of nostalgic classics and new-school games, making it easy to lose track of time. Entry price is solid and well worth it for the endless play option. The draft cider selection is impressive, offering plenty of flavors, and there are solid craft beer choices too if you want something different. Butter beer cider was my favorite. Whether you’re here with friends, family, or on a casual night out, it’s a fun spot to relax, sip, and game.

This place is soooo much fun! Came here on a date with my boyfriend and we had such a great time. The staff is fun and welcoming. You can’t beat the unlimited games and the cider was soooo goood!! They really went all out with the Halloween decor, I loved it. I can’t wait to come back!

We came on a Sunday afternoon about 4 PM. Drinks, food and video games...what more could you want!! I could really spend all whole day in here and be happy! I like cider and beer but a spirit option would be nice too! We tried about 6 different ciders and they were all really good. The pizza is delicious too!! Definitely will be back!

Fun place to hang out with the family. Come early as it will get crowded before lynch. Many old games. Some not working. The newer cars and bikes was a hit. Too few and always a line waiting. In my oinion they should get a few more. Pizza was good and made to order.
Pog E — Google review
I’d heard about Cidercade from a friend, and once I saw it online, I knew I wanted to check it out. What a fun time! Rows of vintage games — Galaga, Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Ms. Pac-Man, and over twenty pinball machines — make it feel like stepping back in time. It does get a bit crowded on Saturday mornings because of birthday parties, but that didn’t take away from the fun. Most of the kids are busy with the newer games, so there’s still plenty of space for the classics. The energy is great, and it’s such an easy, nostalgic way to spend a few hours together. Food offerings are a little limited, but that’s easily fixed — don’t miss having breakfast (or lunch) right across the street at The Flying Biscuit Café, which is fantastic. The fact that you pay one flat $12 fee for unlimited play was awesome! It would’ve cost us 10 times that much at Main Event or Dave & Buster’s! This was a great date for me and my husband — it totally brought back memories of playing arcade games at the skating rink back in the day. Total fun, and we’ll definitely be back!
Leah G — Google review
This is a pretty cool real arcade experience for kids! All arcade games are absolutely free... just walk up and press "start". Food vs value is questionable, but they are in business to make money, so I get it. The food was pretty good. Pizzas, super cheesy and delish.... pizza rolls, hot, lightly crisp exterior crust w/ dipping sauces.... thumbs up for sure! The drink machines may need a very thorough cleaning as a few dispensers were spewing black stuff. I'd return with my kids for the experience alone as they truly dug the place.

This was a surprisingly delightful experience. The place from outside seems very run down but inside is a completely different story. Our hostess/coach was very warm, patient and had a very pleasing demeanor. She spent a lot of time with us to get us going without being overbearing or pedantic. We got better as we went on and she checked on us occasionally. We will be back and try other activities we could not because of time crunch. Lot of fun and not as dangerous as it seems!!

I had a blast doing this. We went to try this out for the first time and was so much fun!! The instructor was very funny and made all of us laugh as he was teaching us what to do so we can get the best experience out of it. It took a time or two getting use to as does anything for the first time but after it was so cool flying and floating in the air. Def would go if u don’t want to do the real thing. And even if u are very good and have done real thing it’s still lots of fun. I loved going up to the top spinning and coming back down. I will say the next morning I was sore in my shoulders and neck area but it was worth it. I would go back and do it again. We got pics and videos of our time and a certificate to keep. U do partner up w other people if u don’t have enough in ur group but everyone gets their turn and what they paid for!

When we encountered a glitch checking in, she was quick to help us solve the problem by allowing us to use their Kindle to get checked in. When I had questions, she took the time to explain the process and give us tips to ensure a successful experience. She did a fabulous job as the driver during my experience. Zoe was our instructor. She was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. When she noticed a problem with my glasses/goggles she took the time to get me out of the tunnel and she fixed them. She was very encouraging with all of us, but especially supportive of the two youngsters in our group! Her performance at the end of our session was AMAZING! It was a beautiful dance with the wind. Went to a kids birthday here, and this place is amazing!! I love the music they play. They also have roller races, and the ambiance is a nice low light glow in dark vibe. Great to throw a 70's - 90's party. Great food also. Only thing that I found was a con is the parking lot . It's small

We attended a birthday party here with my daughter who has severe food allergies to dairy, peanuts, and eggs. As a treat since we knew she couldn’t eat the food there, we brought Chick Fil A fries which are always safe for her. Upon entry, we were told we couldn’t bring outside meals in. When we explained the medical situation, we were told snacks are allowed but not the fries. I tried explaining to the manager what the situation was, and told her to understand that when attending a lunch time party with a 3 year old who sees everyone else eating, I couldn’t tell my daughter, sorry you can’t eat. I was told if my daughter wanted fries or other food, I should buy them there. But found out after more discussion that everything, including the fries, are cooked in the same air fryers, couldn’t guarantee they would be free of cross contamination, and wouldn’t even offer to give the air fryer a proper wash or sterilization to ensure her safety. That is not a viable option for someone with severe food allergies. I tried reasoning with the staff, offering to pay for their food without eating it, offering to get a note from a medical professional explaining her allergies (which several adults at the party are). Nothing worked for them. I was told over and over by the manager that I was a bad mother, that I should let my daughter starve to teach her how to deal with this in the future, that any medical professional would laugh in my face, that I should be embarrassed at how I was acting over fries, and finally that my daughter deserved to eat her food in the parking lot away from the party. Understandably so, I was appalled and angered at the words she were using when I was simply trying to give my daughter the same experience as everyone else. I got angry, lost my temper, and said f&:k you as I walked away, and I was kicked out. I have never met a human being with less compassion, less understanding, and less flexibility in my life, and will never attend another party here again.
Terri K — Google review
Arrived on a Sunday shortly after opening. The rink was somewhat busy but not bad. More kids than anything with a couple birthday parties. The floor is good, a few patch spots, but for the most part clean and good to skate on. A floor guard was on duty helping kids when needed. The men's restroom smelled which probably could had been cleaned better. Lockers are available for your belongings for a few bucks. I'm older and would probably only go back for an adult skate session, but do recommend for kids and families.
Shawn R — Google review
We hosted a party for our daughters at dairy afford roller rink today, and it was truly one of the worst experiences we’ve had at a business that claims to be family friendly. What was meant to be a fun and special day quickly turned into a stressful and upsetting ordeal due to the staff’s rude behavior, poor management, and complete lack of customer service. From the beginning, the staff was unwelcoming and rude to multiple guests. One child arrived wearing a comfort boot (not medically required), was given rental skates, and skated safely for about 15 minutes. Suddenly, he was told he could no longer skate due to the boot, despite the clear “Skate at Your Own Risk” signage. When his mother explained the situation and noted the boot was not medically necessary, the manager refused to listen, refused a refund, and offered no accommodation. Instead, she selectively enforced policies while ignoring others. Like the “No Refunds” rule being followed strictly, but the “Skate at Your Own Risk” sign being disregarded. The situation escalated unnecessarily, and security was called to remove guests from our daughter’s party. These were family members (grandparents and father) who were trying to understand the rules and advocate for their children. However, the manager decided to pick and chose what rules she wanted to enforce and simply was difficult. To make matters worse, a parent of a late arriving guest was harshly scolded at the door with “THE PARTY ALREADY STARTED!”This was completely uncalled for and rude!! They walked in and told me how uncomfortable they were for the moment they got there. Another guest tried to use a free skate voucher for their 2-year-old and was told it wasn’t valid. When the mother privately vented to her husband using a mild curse word, which made the manager refuse to let their child skate or even allow me, the host, to purchase a ticket on their behalf. The manager’s behavior throughout the day was unnecessarily aggressive, dismissive, and, frankly, unprofessional. She even stated, “I don’t get paid enough for this,” while continuing to escalate tensions rather than resolving them. Ironically, we were warned not to use foul language on the premises because it’s a “family business,” yet the music played over the speakers included multiple songs with explicit language and sexual content directly using the word s3x Overall, the management was inconsistent, unaccommodating, and on a power trip. What should have been a joyful celebration turned into an uncomfortable and chaotic experience for our children and guests. We will not be returning and strongly recommend others think twice before booking a party or attending this rink.

Such an unwelcoming vibe coming from what I assume to be the manager or relative of the owner. The woman needs to learn how to be welcoming and smile a little. What a terrible way to represent this place. If you hate serving at your place, quit or close it down, and someone else will gladly take it over this nice place and be HAPPY to see customers. DO NOT GO HERE! My son is very shy and doesn’t communicate well with strangers. The staff yelled at him to move out of the way and my son froze, scared looking back at me I ran over to let him know that everything was going to be okay and then the staff yelled at me to get off of the rink because I didn’t have skates. I went to the manager to tell her what had happened and she called security to have us escorted out. My son is only 3 years old. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE!

The venue provides an elegant atmosphere for creating lasting memories. Additionally, Pinstripes offers high-end bowling experiences that make for a great indoor date idea or a fun outing with family and friends.
I had an amazing experience at this place. I went there for their Sunday brunch buffet and the food was excellent. Everything I tried was delicious. The setup of the food stations was great and the staff at each station were very helpful. The waiter I had was very nice, and it was interesting that there were actually two waiters who looked identical. After having a mimosa, I thought I was seeing double until they both approached the table and i realizedthey were twins . The ambiance of the place is nice, clean, and inviting. I also tried the bowling upstairs, which was beautiful and laid back. I definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic Graduation Brunch at Pinstripes! We recently hosted a graduation brunch at Pinstripes, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and perfect for a celebration. The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating—making sure every detail was just right for our group. The brunch buffet was a hit with everyone! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the made-to-order omelets and waffles to the fresh salads, savory entrees, and desserts, there was something for everyone. The space itself was stylish and spacious, with plenty of natural light and a relaxed vibe. It offered the perfect mix of casual and upscale, making it ideal for a milestone celebration like a graduation. Thank you, Pinstripes (Megan and Anastasia were amazing on the front end/invoicing/etc.---and Aaron--floor manager of the day, was AMAZING---our hostess was nice, and the bar staff were a good time) for helping make such a special day even more memorable. We’ll definitely be back, and we’re already recommending it to friends and family!

They offer great service. The managers really try to work you into their busy bowling schedules & like making birthdays good. The food is fine. The vibe is warm, & the space is abundant. The balcony is spacious with a view of the city, a large fireplace, & a nice size flame to add the right aesthetic touch

There for an event so the food and service can only be so good when going buffet style and dealing with that many people. Both were acceptable. Really cool place though and a great spot for a team building event.

We went to pinstripes for the first time to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday. Overall we had a great time and glad we tried out pinstripes! We did an hour of bocce ball and an hour of bowling. Bocce was fun! We had never done it before and enjoyed doing something different! Our servers were informative and explained to us the rules of the game. You can never go wrong with bowling. I will say the lanes are kinda tight and close together. We reserved two lanes for our party of 11 and felt like we were squeezing past each other. We ordered food and drinks while playing. Overall the food and drinks were ok. Some of it was good and others were just average. The beef tenderloin sliders and brussel sprouts were a hit. The pizza was just ok. The atmosphere is very clean and modern. Downstairs is a full restaurant and bar. We didn’t dine there, but it was packed on a Sunday around 1:30 for their Sunday brunch. Upstairs was another bar, bocce lanes and bowling lanes. Would I recommend if you are looking for something to do, yes! Do we feel we need to go back immediately, no necessarily. Thankful to have checked it out and for making my moms 60th birthday a fun one!

This location was great for the family. Staff was great, bowling arena clean and well organized. Very interactive and fun for the kids , it was great. Manager Kiana was amazing and very attentive. You saw her on the floor interacting with guests throughout the entire visit.
MJ O — Google review
Our experience today was great from the food to the service. We were not rushed or made to feel we stayed chatting at our table too long. We were able to enjoy the experience. I suggest the brunch option so you can try some of everything in small portions. I will be back!
LaTanya R — Google review
I wanted to take my son out for his 16th birthday so I decided on this place as it’s close to home. First off when you reserve a lane it doesn’t say the price of the lane online. To my surprise we arrived and the price for 1 hour bowling was $86! Which doesn’t include anything but shoes. Then you feel this intense pressure to order food, eat and bowl all within 1 hour! The major problem for me is that after reviewing my bank account, I noticed that they charged my card $92! Not including what I paid for food upstairs! If you want to be robbed go here. Otherwise stay away!

If you're looking for a unique and thrilling date idea, look no further than Houston Axe Throwing - Bellaire. This pioneering indoor axe-throwing venue in the city offers an unforgettable experience, even for those who have never thrown before. With skilled instructors on hand to guide you through safe techniques and proper form, you'll feel confident as you take aim. Whether you're part of a group or enjoying a romantic evening together, the atmosphere is electric with excitement.
Austin was our host & he was a pleasure! Every year around the holidays, my husband’s side of the family books an activity we can experience together ; half of us aren’t from the Houston area. We normally do escape rooms but this year we decided to switch it up & do axe throwing. It’s definitely a lot harder than it looks! My husband & his brothers did great ; the wives on the other hand, we didn’t do too hot. Let’s just say I won’t be adding axe throwing to my list of skill sets. I was only able to get the axe lodged once the whole time we were there, & it wasn’t even in the circle. They had a bar but we didn’t get any drinks. It was a fun experience & we all enjoyed ourselves, highly recommend if you’re looking to switch things up & do something new!

Caleb blessed my friends with remarkable axe throwing skills! We literally cannot stop throwing axes. On the way home there must've been hundreds of axes littered behind us and broken windshields. But on a serious note, I've been here a couple times and I have lots of fun each time. The employees, especially Caleb and really nice: they're great teachers and stick with you throughout your time there to make sure you finally hit the target!

First time Axe throwing with the family and we really enjoyed it. I loved it. Super fun! Great staff. Ashley was super nice and guided us through with very clear instructions and guidance. Clean facilities, they sell snacks and beer and have many other games to play such as Jenga and Connect 4. Will be back!

I went to Houston Axe Throwing with my life group from Lakewood Church on a Saturday around 2pm. We had an amazing time. For most of us it was our first time. Our instructor Bryan was top notch. He stayed with us until we were able to be on our own. The staff at the Bellaire location were nice and knowledgeable. A young lady gave us some throwing tips as well though I can't remember her name. The place was nice and inviting. I will definitely be returning and telling other people about Houston Axe Throwing Bellaire. I give this location five stars hands down.

Lots of fun! We had a group of 5 guys and 5 girls and we all had a great time. Our instructor, Greg, was so helpful and so cool! Not only did he provide tips and tricks the ENTIRE 2.5 hours we were there, he also had several games in mind that we played to make it more fun and provide a challenge if you wanted. We played on teams for some games and individually (every man for himself) for other games. The concept is cool, this specific place is cool, and Greg was enthusiastic, attentive, and just really friendly. Highly recommend!

Railway Market, located at Railway Heights Market on Washington Avenue, is a vibrant and diverse market concept that offers a unique experience for visitors. The market features two floors with various vendors offering an array of food options and local crafts. The first floor hosts several vendors and will eventually transform into a farmers market, while the second floor serves as a bustling food hall with live music and an assortment of dining choices.
I absolutely loved and adored my time here! Located around the heights area, this wonderful gem exists! In a way it reminds me of POST Houston. Really nice views, and lots of food vendors available. There are also some shops such as a crystal shop, jewelry shop, and some small boutiques selling clothes and accessories. I personally didn’t try any of the food, but the selection is a pretty wide variety for everyone to eat. It’s really spacious, and nice. The only thing is that parking is only free for the **first 90 minutes**!! Make sure to time your visit quick, or to be ready and pay. Overall, this place was really nice and it has sooo much potential! I’d definitely recommend
Bethany G — Google review
Cool food hall with a nice atmosphere. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a park area with swings. I got food from Mykuna and it was delicious. Great flavor for a decent price. I got the pork belly fried rice, sweet plantains and the mochi.
Nathan S — Google review
Went here with some friends. Overall, thought it was a great place with many things to explore! There were several vendors inside selling interesting merchandise that were primarily vegan/organic. Wooden sun glasses frames, house plants, home made salsas, vegan soaps, all were very unique! There are also many restaurants with a lot of variety of food! The aesthetics looks very modern, minimalistic, and artistic. The outside was very open, with trees, swings, and little outdoor games for casual play. Definitely an interesting place to check out! There is construction on the outside which leaves piles of dirt and holes (not in the way of guests though), which looks a bit disheveled, but not a huge deal as this is expected given its downtown Houston. Make sure to come early (before 11 AM) so free parking slots don't fill up. There is also 5 dollar parking when the slots are full.
Krishna P — Google review
Such a cool place, lots a good amount of food options! Not a lot of fine or exquisite dining, but more so casual and fast food type of dining. Love the local businesses here as well! The outdoor space by the swings is also very nice to sit and relax by! Plenty of green space to allow kids to roam around and have a good time!
Aleena G — Google review
This place is crazy awesome. We got here shortly after 11 on a Sunday and it was already popping. We left around 3 and I'd say it was twice as packed but people are coming and going. Take a few friends or family and grab different items to share. Shops are cute but I'm there for the food and bev.
Malcolm P — Google review
As of now, I'm giving it a neutral 3 star. I can see this place being an amazing place for a date night or hanging out with friends once it gets more established. I will 100% come back in a few months! Overall, the dining hall venue is gorgeous with a nice large lawn area outside with benches and some games. Dining is mostly indoors with some outdoor seating on the upstairs patio. There are still vacant shop spaces on the ground floor. Inside is very pretty and decently spacious, but that depends on what time you decide to come. There are many MANY spots for nice pictures, including an art wall. There are also many small local stands that sell their artwork and trinkets. Parking is mostly on gravel and there are no drawn lines. There is some parking on concrete ground behind the venue. Food? I arrived at around 8:30 pm on a Saturday night and most of the food options were either sold out or the wait was about 1 hr. Unfortunately, I waited in line for about 20 minutes for one place and they sold out before I was able to order. Another place I waited in line for said it'll take ~1 hr for my food to be ready. There was maybe 1 or two options remaining that I was not feeling, especially with the long lines + wait. I was pretty bummed out. Since it's very new, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I won't name the businesses because I have hopes for the venue and I want them to succeed. The food did look very delicious! I do recommend you try it out and support the new businesses! I will 100% come back.

Great place to visit with family and friends. There’s outdoors and indoors seating, with plenty of parking. Visited on a Sunday afternoon and spend several hours here. Would be a great place to watch a live game too. There’s selection of every kind of food. They have vegan, vegetarian, and halal options as well. The samosa haus has fantastic and authentic samosas. The Mac n cheese was delectable.
Saad K — Google review
Passing through the area I was looking for a coffee shop to get my caffeine fix. I found on a busy Sunday there was a gem about to be discovered. Not only did I find my coffee; I found a churros spot and an art showing and accumulation of cool and hip spots to eat and shop all at railroad heights! It was aesthetically pleasing and modern. I highly recommend for a date during lunch with your significant other or with your friends. It is a casual atmosphere with plenty of vendors. The food hall has something for everyone. Parking can be full but I went on. A busy Sunday afternoon so you’ll be okay. I look forward to find another chance to go again soon!

Drive-in movie theater
MoonStruck Drive-In offers a unique outdoor movie experience with a stunning city skyline backdrop. The drive-in features a 60-foot wide screen and audio broadcast directly to your car, creating a vintage yet modern movie night. Guests can enjoy popular films while indulging in walk-up concessions or food truck eats on Saturday nights. This retro drive-in, located in the East River development, provides a cozy and private setting for movie-watching from the comfort of your vehicle.
I stopped coming here for a while because the light pollution used to be pretty bad, but the new location is so much better! I’ll definitely be coming back. This is a great drive-in movie theater—highly recommend!

It was a great drive in theater. The movie was easy to see, the staff made sure everyone was comfortable and happy before the movie started, the concessions stand was well stocked. There weren't any food trucks there tonight.

Moonstruck Drive-In was a pleasant experience! I love drive-ins, and this one didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff was helpful—especially the young lady who kindly helped us figure out how to turn off our automatic headlights.
Meli M — Google review
We had so much fun with my family watching Superman. The movie sound was over the radio and we were able to be as loud as we wanted because we were in our own space (we have a toddler so typically hard for us to go to regular movies) we brought food from home and ended up getting a bag of popcorn which was very large but still a bit overpriced IMO. Nonetheless love a good drive in movie.
Anahi S — Google review
A great concept to revive the American drive-in culture. I couldn't tell if it is open because I drove by during the daytime. They've built screens with shipping containers! Probably an entrepreneur with a great idea and a practical budget. But with drive-ins, the fun begins with the setting sun.
Richard T — Google review
This place is so cool. I had a wonderful experience with the crew I came with. There are multiple screens were they show different movies. We saw the beast movie. The restrooms are outdoor restroom stalls but they are very clean. You have to turn your car to a radio station to hear the audio of the movie. There is also a beautiful view of the Houston skyline. There is plenty of parking and people get really comfortable. I will be back.
Nancy U — Google review
Great place to come watch newly released movies with your family you can sit in your vehicle or you can bring chairs to sit outside or even in your trunk! It's an awesome experience! Also they do have a small concession stand with your basic movie theater snacks and canned drinks so if you need anything you can purchase there! The only thing that I don't like is the porta potty restrooms that they have, other than that it's a fun way to come out and watch a movie.
Samantha G — Google review
I miss the old location it had a beautiful view of the downtown skyline. We went to the new location for the first time and left about 20 minutes from when the movie started. We were very disappointed. 1. The new location looked a bit more crowded and no good view of the city. 2. The audio was terrible, we tried both our car radio and Bluetooth speakers with the sound as loud as it will go and we could barely hear the movie. It sounded great on the background noise but could barely hear the dialogue. Not sure if the drive in controls how loud the radio broadcasts can go. 3. My girls needed to use the restroom and I was not aware that only portal potties are available. The two I found on site, one was dark and light was not working and second one was smelly. Girls did not want to use portal potties so we had to leave. We won’t be back. It is a great concept but 1. Need to put up some sound speakers for better sound movie experience. Need to increase broadcast sound. 2. Need to definitely invest in additional restrooms. Lastly hopefully the can fix the ground gravel. We only lasted 20 minutes and left. ☹️☹️☹️☹️ Was hoping for a better experience.

The venue features 21st-century digitized dart boards, sharing boards, and bespoke cocktails. The ambiance is fun and relaxing, making it a great spot to enjoy drinks at the bar. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience for all guests. Additionally, Flight Club Houston offers delicious food options such as Barbacoa tacos.
Went to flight club with family today. It was my first time going and I had a great time. The food was great however the portions are kinda small for the price. For this reason I can only give the food 4 stars. I do recommend the Buffalo Chicken sliders and the GUAC!!! And the truffle fries are quite delicious as well.

First time at Flight Club and it was such a great experience! We went with a group of friends and had the best time playing darts, laughing, and getting a little competitive. It’s a fun and lively spot that’s perfect for a night out. We only got drinks this time, but they were solid, great selection and everything came out quick. Our server (I think her name was Aubrey) was amazing! Super friendly and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. The setup is perfect for groups, and the games keep everyone engaged. Already looking forward to going back!

Stumbled on this place, didn’t even know it existed and had a great time! Drinks were solid and dessert was one of the best I’ve had-I’d go back solely for the s’more. Great for date night especially if y’all are competitive. Oh, and it was fun!!

We had so much fun and the staff were amazing. They were friendly and were constantly checking in on us throughout our whole session! We were not experts by any means but it is perfect for anyone from beginner to expert. I would highly recommend this for a date night or get together with friends. The drinks were very good and had a decent variety. I do wish they would expand the drink menu a bit for the specialty cocktails maybe some more basic drinks. We had the breakfast sliders which were good but we expected a bit more of a selection/elevation due to pricing. Overall a great place for darts and dates! We will be back!

This was our first time here, this is such a cool establishment! Great ambiance. The lobster elote was sooo delicious. Probably one of the best elotes I have ever had! The espresso old fashion was so unique and good and my bramble spritz was so refreshing! We will be back!

I was here for a corporate team building and loved it so much that I organized three friends outings with teens (weekday before 6pm). I specially like the clean air, camera & screen play, and general upscale atmosphere provided here for playing darts that I haven’t found anywhere else in town. Everyone loves this place. 90 minutes of fun for a group of 6-8 fly by very quickly, so consider 90 mins to be your minimum rental time. The beef sliders are delish as well as the spinach dip and pizza. Every food item is small, though. So consider dining somewhere else before or after. Cocktails have been good. I like the Snapdragon. If you make reservations, book for a few less people so you are not stuck paying for no-shows. You can always pay for more guests when they show up. The place is not cheap, though. You will pay per person for playtime, plus food dishes that are small and pricey. Cocktail prices are similar to an upscale restaurant. It has been worth the experience, but do consider what else you will do before or after because 90 min of playtime is short and if your group has teens, you will be out of there by 6pm which is too early for most kids’ outings.
Lizet G — Google review
I’ve been here a few times and always have a great experience. The bartenders and servers are fantastic and make it a fun spot. Unfortunately, my recent visit was a bit disappointing. My company was hosting a conference last week, and I wanted to bring a group of 24 out-of-towners here. I called the same day to make a reservation and reached the event coordinator’s voicemail. When I called back, I spoke with the hostess and tried to explain our situation, but she kept saying they were fully booked before I could finish. I mentioned we didn’t mind being split up or having only part of the group play while the rest stayed at the bar, but she didn’t seem open to helping find a solution. I somehow was able to book a dart station online for 12 people and called back to give her a heads-up that 12 would be playing while the rest would be lounging at the bar but she repeatedly reminded me that anyone not on the reservation couldn’t play or even stand in the area. I let her know I completely understood the policy, but her tone made it feel like we weren’t welcome. (In the end, only 10 of us actually played.) When we arrived, she was still pretty hostile, but once we got settled, everyone had a great time. The bartenders and servers were amazing, as always. I’d still recommend this place, I just hope for a friendlier experience at the front next time.

I recently attended a networking event at Flight Club, and it was a great experience! The atmosphere was fun and energetic, and the servers were very attentive, constantly replenishing food and drinks for our group. Great food and super easy to order online. Great success with ordering breakfast tacos for the office, the tacos were delicious and everyone was happy. The staff is always friendly.

I can't stop going here! All their tacos are awesome, but expensive. Premium tacos at a premium price. Order a fajita taco and you will get strips of meat in it. They don't skimp on their ingredients. They're open at 7 am and serve lunch tacos as soon as they open. This is a super plus. I don't really like egg tacos and love getting pastor in the morning. You must go here!
Rodrigo C — Google review
So my co workers and i have been going to this location a long time.. tacos have always been very sizable and good. We know not to go between 12pm and 1pm because the service and tacos are not the same. They are much much smaller and the line is going to be long. I was having a "last resort " Friday so I got in line around 12:30pm. The taco was so small with barely any meat on it, that I had to go back and show them... the crazy is part of their brand is making sure the tacos have a sizeable amount of meat in them. But hese are not the same tacos! Lol.. I think this is a good business, just not consistent and not between 12pm and 1:30pm. Try them at 2 or 2 30 and the difference is obvious
Antoinette R — Google review
The food is so delicious that I ordered mixed fajitas for 80 for lunch. AMAZING! They set up for me and we had plenty of food. Will definitely order again.

I’ve been going here for over one year and I order specific items do to my health and diet restrictions. So I understand how the restaurant might find this situation challenging. Yesterday they messed my order up and I kindly took it back and they started to remake it. Everything was ok until the last cooking my food had a major attitude about it, you could literally see how bothered she was by having to remake the food. I decided I didn’t want it because of this behavior. I don’t want anyone with bad energy making my food. She was acting like this was my fault! So today I went to go order some food and the manager came and told me that they can’t serve me no more that nobody wants to cook for me. Ok, by… I guess the cooks run this business and turn the customer away like they’re the ones in the wrong!
Jessica C — Google review
I had two breakfast tacos. They were massive. I ended up eating one for breakfast and one three hours later. The filling was very good. Good egg, good vegetables, good meat. The tortilla was solid as well. I now know of a place in the tunnels for when I'm stuck in downtown Houston.

The food was okay, but the service needs serious improvement. My order was wrong, and when I tried to fix it, the staff acted like it was my fault. Prices are high for what you get, definitely not worth it.

Joystix is only allowing free play the first Friday of the month. I wish their website and their recording would be updated to remove the conflicting information on their site. Sure, it says packman fever is First Fridays, but it still says first and last Fridays on the other page. Even the sign on a review from 11 months ago enforces the wrong info. I don't mind the change, but the info is inconvenient to plan around. I even tried contacting them.

I really enjoyed my time here. Twice a month they open up their arcade showroom to the public for all you can play video games for only $15. It's connected to a bar, so you can have drinks with friends while you play hundreds of different full size arcade games. They have everything from classic arcade to modern games. When they first open the door, there's a very long line and it's extremely crowded in there, but as it gets later in the night, the crowd thins out and you can get a lot more play time in. I would suggest waiting out the crowd, it's worth it. Bring your friends and have a great time, I know I did!

Restaurant
Taste of Texas is a family-friendly steakhouse that has been an iconic Houston establishment for almost 50 years. It offers huge steaks from an on-site butcher shop and a vast salad bar. The restaurant is known for its mouth-watering steaks, hearty fried chicken, and massive onion rings. It's popular with both high-end steak lovers and casual diners, attracting large crowds despite its no-reservations policy.
I wish I could give more stars. The salad bar alone is worth the trip here. It will fill you up. And the prime rib was so flavorful and tender and cooked perfectly. The meal is pricey if you get a steak, but the salad bar is included with the steak. The wait staff is terrific too. And the atmosphere is something to behold. You have to be there to feel it. This is a special place. For special occasions and to treat yourself, this place is top notch.

The establishment was grand and welcoming. Our waiter was exceptional. He gave us some great recommendations and even lest us pick out our own steak! 🥩. I got the filet with the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was ok. I’d give it a 6/10. The salad bar and bread selection were the true stars of the show! 10/10 ⭐️

Excellent food and service. Britney was our waitress and had great recommendations. She was attentive during our whole meal. Steak was top notch and having the option to choose it yourself made the experience unique. Looking forward to my next visit when I return to the area.

Service, food and atmosphere were outstanding. We came with our 3 children. Everything about this was excellent. From the moment we walked in until we left. The manager was *on it.* Our appetizer took a little longer to arrive. He came to our table personally to apologize and say it was on them. Honestly it wasn’t that bad of a wait, but the fact that he did this, blew us away. We gladly ordered more than we would have, of course. The meat was delicious. As was the presentation. The children’s portions were extremely generous too. A must when visiting Houston. We went to a different popular upscale steakhouse in Houston (pappas) the experience was night and day. No manager came to check on us there and the staff was so stuck up. But not here. Like I said, the experience was the best one we had during our Texas visit. Thank you!

Went to Taste of Texas for dinner on October 19th for my wife's birthday. The atmosphere was amazing and service was immaculate. One of the best salad bars you'll ever see. The crab cake and jalapeño stuffed shrimp were top notch and their dessert selection is great. The snickers pie was one of the best desserts we've ever had. The only negative, the steaks seemed closer to Choice quality rather than Prime. So it was like paying a Ruth's Chris price for an Outback steak. And I think that an important point. But it was an amazing experience overall and definitely worth trying.

Would give 10 stars if i could! Came here for the 1st time to celebrate our anniversary— i cannot for the life of me remember our server but HE WAS PHENOMENAL! Outstanding! Food was delicious! He even offered to take our picture ( or so we thought)… he came back with this sweet keepsake to remember this anniversary !! How awesome is he!

The food was good. The hospitality was good, even our server was excellent. He was always checking in on us, making sure we had everything. And if we needed anything more, it was a very wonderful place, I'll be glad to go back. Now I won't lie. There are some meals that are kind of expensive but it's worth the price.

Downtown Aquarium in Houston is not just a massive aquarium with fish, sharks, touch pools, and educational displays. It's also an adventure spot with a Ferris wheel, aquatic carousel, and Shark Voyage adventure train. This sprawling sea life attraction houses 300 underwater species and is popular among visitors of all ages. It's often included in city-wide tours due to its appeal to families with kids.
Loved coming here with my friend :) it was my first time coming to an aquarium! I didn't expect the rides but it was a wonderful addition to it! Not to mention they had more than just fish which was surprising to me and my friend! We had such a blast :D

Perfect escape from the heat, with cool sights, education, and a nostalgic fun atmosphere. My husband likes animals and I love rides so this felt like something we both could enjoy during our Houston trip. Because we were already a little tired from all of the other things we were doing on the trip, this felt like something that wouldn't be overwhelming to enjoy. I was right. The size of this is small so it can be enjoyed in 2 - 3 hours. There are rides outside and breaks from the heat with all the aquariums inside. Plus the decor, music selections, and friendly staff, made me feel generally happy while we were there. Like we had gone to a good place in the late 90s. It was sweet.

This place was a hidden gem! We went on a Sunday morning and were able to see every exhibit and attraction with no waiting time. It’s is super affordable & teachers are free with ID! My kids were able to see and feed animals I never thought they would be able to.

Very disappinting... I was expecting a fun ( preety big) aquarium/amusement park. This park could be fun- if you are 3 years old. This thing is ridiculous. I wasted so much moeny on tickets for this thing. The aquarium itself is very tiny and it only took me 15 minutes to go around. The tanks were like going to an aquarium to see guppies. Again. And again. And again.... the same grey small classic riverfish in almost every enclosure. The acual interesting part were the tigers. But I was to discusted by thier environment to accualy enjoy it. These 4 poor beutiful creatures are living in an indoor plastic small decorated enclosure suffering with constant annoying temple music around them. Not surprizing to jear that they only feed the sharks 3 times a week as well. This is animal misery. There wasnt even anyone else there. Even the gift shop was small and super expensive. The rides were all either baby rides, or closed, and even the open rides looked like they were under construction, and the staff were hanging with friends using thier phones instead of monitoring the rides. The place was so empty - I was the only person there, and it was kind of creepy. I thought that the whole aquarium was 3 stories tall, but no. The whole 2nd and 3rd floor is for thier restaurant ( completly empty) and thier bar and ballroom ( probobly empty too) Dont ask why you need a ballroom for an aquarium... I thought that the shark train ride would be cool, but the train is a little kids size, and you only spend 2 minutes with real sharks. After that, you just spend the rest of the time looking at a beutiful ( not really) plastic shark and you pass through a not so wonderful parking lot...
Eva B — Google review
The downtime aquarium is a 2-minute walk from post market. I grabbed a bite to eat at Post market and parked at Post market then walked to the aquarium. It was fairly quick. The parking at the aquarium is $15. Valet parking is $18. I only wanted to go to the aquarium to experience it. For Friday, the ticket was a little less than $19. I completed the entire aquarium in 20 minutes. There were many different fish. Also there was a tarantula and a few tortoises. They state that they house for 4 tigers however I only saw one. Most likely I showed up during feeding time. All in all, for one person who only wants to go to the aquarium, it is not worth it. I truly felt like I wasted $20 just to walk through a small area and see some fish. Compared to spending $25 at the Houston National Science Museum. If you are going to attend the aquarium and visit the parks, then purchasing a $25 all-day pass would be better money spent.
Brene' D — Google review
When people say this place is short they aren't kidding. I took my sweet time and assumed these people just ran through. Not the case. Even taking my time I was done in 20 minutes. It's a tourist trap designed to lure you into their cheap resteraunt and run down amusement park. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because what little is there of the aquarium is nice.
Ryan R — Google review
This is great place for Kids. We took city pass but it does not include all other rides. We have pay extra $6 for other entries. I think Shark show is good. Its not very big, we can spend around an hour with basic entrance fee. They have Bengal Tiger which is great attaction. Parking is very costly but there are parking spots 0.3 to 0.5 miles distance which charges around $4 when paid online.
Sai K — Google review
Was really nice for me and my little one, the aquarium has a unique blend of sea life exhibits, amusement rides, and dining surrounded by underwater views. It’s a fun and visually exciting spot, especially for kids and families. i highly recommend!!!

Breakfast restaurant
The Breakfast Klub in Houston is a beloved spot known for its classic American diner-style dishes and soul food, such as the popular chicken and waffles. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy, and served on top of a soft Belgian waffle with powdered sugar, fresh strawberries, and maple syrup. The restaurant's friendly staff provides excellent hospitality.
I’ve been to The Breakfast Klub in twice now, and both times I’ve lucked out with easy parking and no wait (which feels like a slight miracle here!). The place is lively, the portions are huge, and the service is super fast and efficient. They had live music as well. On my first visit, the hostess, who was so kind and sweet, noticed I didn’t order the chicken wings and surprised me with one for free. That small act of kindness stuck with me...so on my second visit I just had to try the famous chicken & waffles. The wings did not disappoint: crispy, flavorful, and even better than I remembered. The waffle itself was a little dense (not my personal favorite style), but overall the dish was still a delight. I also grabbed an Eggs Benedict to go for the next morning, and it was excellent as well. The staff here are consistently friendly, the energy is upbeat, and even if there’s a line, you can tell they keep things moving smoothly. All in all, this is a Houston classic for a reason. I’ll keep coming back every time I’m in town.

The parking can be in two lots, one at the establishment and the another is a minute walk away. The breakfast klub is known for their wings and waffles and you know we were not missing the opportunity to try them out! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.. great music and good vibes as soon as me and my partner walked in. I ordered the 3 egg veggie omelet with a biscuit and potatoes and my partner ordered the wings and waffles. Let me tell yall, you will not be disappointed if yall order the wings and waffles (or anything here for that matter ) at the breakfast klub. Literally the best spiced and seasoned chicken I have tasted in a LONG time. Delicate crunch and hot fresh chicken wings. Waffle was soft, fluffy, and yummy. The omelet literally made to perfection! Filled with cheddar cheese on the inside and lots of red and green bell peppers, and other veggies, this omelette was massive. Potatoes seasoned with pepper and more green and red bell peppers were amazing as well. Biscuit was soft and had the perfect balance, semi crisp but still pillowy soft. Portion sizes are generous! Highly recommend this establishment!! They serve breakfast and lunch! Early bird gets the worm!! Don’t miss out!! (In Houston, Texas)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Breakfast Klub in Houston is a true gem! The food came out hot and full of flavor — Southern hospitality at its finest. The chicken was hands down the best I’ve had in a long time — perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The pancakes tasted homemade, like they were made from scratch with love, and the French toast had just the right amount of crisp while still being soft and fluffy. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding — fast, friendly, and incredibly attentive. Everyone made me feel so welcome, like I was part of the family. Delicious food, warm people, and a great atmosphere — I’ll definitely be back!

Hands down the best breakfast I had to date. From the start to end of visit everything was top tier. Gayle went throughout the line to explain what to expect. Gayle was very interpersonal and met the needs of customers. Basically you order food, obtain utensils and condiments, the get seated. Food was ready in under 10 mins. Ordered Katfish and Grits which includes Breakfast Potatoes and a Biscuit. I added Scrabbled eggs. All the food was flavorful. Potions were sizable as well. I was so content that I got full, which I never do. I took the remaining food to go. I can't wait to visit again.
Perry K — Google review
I love this place down and been going here + referring people since 2022 but things have changed and I’m disappointed. 1. We started doing take out because it was just easier and more convenient — takeout orders will always take more than an hour to be ready to pick up no matter what the day is & I was told that I was supposed to get a call to confirm my order upon placing it online but never did so they didn’t start on it. Only reason why they started on it was because I ended up calling them to adjust my order, and when I told them I never received the call I was told “I don’t know ma’am.” It was fine because it still would’ve been ready by my original take out time but upon arrival, I was told that they no longer take tap to pay, even though they used to. Given, their reasoning behind it is valid because of the amount of disputes people started doing but please start communicating this to people when you’re supposed to call them to confirm their orders. 2. Paying extra for adjustments on your order (e.g all flats on your chicken, add extra biscuit, etc) are an additional up charge so please follow through with them because they are NOT free, I never had an issue prior so I don’t really check my food before leaving when it comes to take outs. The customer service and the food is great when we go in person but a more organized system is definitely needed for take outs.

This was the very first spot we visited after arriving in Houston and checking in to our hotel. I knew The Breakfast Klub would be amazing when I saw the long line to get inside. Luckily, another part of the restaurant had opened up and we were seated quickly. Let me say that the two restaurant staff persons I interacted with were both amazing and gave us exceptional service. I ordered a turkey platter with grits, egg whites and Texas wheat toast. If you take all of the times I ever ate breakfast around the world, this platter was definitely among the top 3. The Texas wheat toast was definitely the best tasting piece of toast I ever had in my life. My amazing breakfast here at Breakfast Klub definitely set a the tone for an amazing Houston trip. If I could give this place a hundred stars, I would do it. All in all, the Breakfast Klub more than lived up to its hype.

Girl paid to be at the cookout and OMG worth every penny! I had the Eggs Benedict, piled with bacon, salty ham (my favorite) and the homemade biscuit it was piled on, I tell you Jesus wept. Hubby had the French toast and fried chicken wings. 4 thick slices of French toast and the fried chicken piled high. He topped that with hot syrup. According to him, that is the best fried chicken his sweet mouth ever had the pleasure of tasting 🤣 y'all he didn't come up for air! Our boy devoured his Belgian waffle 🧇 we were greeted at the door with a warm smile, a laugh, and and how to order. You felt like you were part of the family. We quickly moved through the line ordered, sat and within 5 minutes heaven was sat before us!

Additionally, it holds around 72,000 people for concerts and has hosted major tours by artists like Taylor Swift and Beyonce.
Most of my visits have been during rodeo season but this last time was the best so far. They held the Soceer gold cup final and the venue did an amazing job. It gives me so much hope for the world cup games next year. The lines all moved quickly. The staff was friendly and organized. I had to wear a jacket during the game because the ac air was so crisp even though we were in a room with over 70k people.

Went to the Texans vs Panthers game on 8/16/25. Eight of us went and had an amazing time. The music/DJ played great songs, ate good food in the stadium and had no issues once in the stadium. The only issues we did have was parking. The traffic was a nightmare getting into the stadium and once we arrived to our designated gate we were informed my daughter's small purse wouldn't be allowed in. Only clear bags allowed which is something that definitely needs to be made clearer on the websites selling tickets.

Awesome stadium for concerts. This venue is perfect for insane light production as well as high audio quality. You really get immersed at a concert here, no matter where you're seated. I saw The Weeknd here and it was absolutely electric. The employees were understandably strict with people who were in incorrect sections or blocking the aisle which I'm grateful for. Would definitely go to more shows here.

Bought front row* section 136 row A so my 2 year old could see Disney on ice with little obstruction. Turns out NRG being cheap has the section below us at the exact same level as us. Even though the “map” shows a gap between sections. So we couldn’t see anything!! Save your money don’t buy “front row” of the section there is no reason when these seats are completely blocked. Xochi is a chic downtown destination located in the Marriott Marquis, offering Oaxaca-inspired dishes, cocktails, and wine. The restaurant showcases complex flavors of Oaxacan cuisine with a menu curated by chef Hugo Ortega and restaurateur Tracy Vaught. Diners can savor an array of dishes such as Tamal de Pollo con Mole Negro, Camarones en Mole Verde, and Costillas De Puerco en Mole Chicatana.
Absolutely stunning food in a laid-back setting. Everything mole is worth getting, but the goat tacos and the seared scallops were pretty much perfect. Great cocktails too. Special shout out to Ulises, who made the evening a surprisingly space-themed joy.

Xochi delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The barbacoa mole was rich and perfectly balanced, while the octopus was tender and beautifully charred—both dishes showcasing incredible depth of flavor. The bartenders were equally impressive, crafting cocktails with precision and genuine enthusiasm that elevated the entire evening. Between the vibrant atmosphere, thoughtful menu, and top-notch service, Xochi easily earns a spot among the city’s best spots for a memorable night out.

Best molé sauce I've ever had. Our server was superb. She made great recommendations, especially in the wine and dessert choices. My tenderloin was mouth-watering. The octopus was made to perfection, not rubbery at all.

Not Mexican per se but overall pretty tasty. Very artsy and expensive place! Feels like the menu takes any opportunity to tell you about the potential insects that are infused or involved in the dishes. Queso was atypical but very tasty, they forgot to put the insects on the side, more of a cut and spread type of queso. The steak was well cooked and flavorful, the mole sauce was a great pairing. The desert menu was far too complicated. Overall food was tasty, but would have appreciated more simplicity in flavors and in menu choices. They did a great job of hosting 20+ people, service was incredible and attentive!

Outside sitting, fenced and safe for families with little ones. Very pleasant ambient. The foods and spices taste as if they're coming from the farmers straight to your table. No middleman. Everyone should have this experience at least once.

Wow! Xochi was our favorite meal during our trip to Houston. We ordered the pescado (daily catch) and tostadas de camarón (sautéed shrimp on crispy tortillas) which were extremely fresh and flavorful. The protein was cooked perfectly and the vegetables and herbs paired nicely with both dishes. For drinks, we ordered the Nervous Traveller (a fantastic skinny marg) and the world’s best margarita (similar to a Cadillac marg but with aged liquor). Both drinks were excellent, and if we visit Houston again I’m certain we will at least stop by to order these same cocktails. The outdoor seating was very clean and the staff were knowledgeable and timed our dishes perfectly. We don’t normally order dessert, but we splurged since the meal was going so well. We ordered the Helado de Elote (ice cream dish made with corn custard) and it was divine. The cob molds and marigolds made for an impressive presentation, but most importantly we cleaned the plate at a competitive pace 😂 Also, my wife is gluten free and it was very refreshing to have the full menu at her disposal.

Steak 48 is an upscale steakhouse located in the River Oaks District, offering a sophisticated and modern dining experience. Known for its prime cuts of steak, seafood, and shellfish, this restaurant provides a polished evening out with an extensive wine list to complement the menu. Guests can choose to dine in the lively bar area or reserve a private glass booth overlooking the bustling kitchen.
Had an unforgettable dinner at Steak 48 on 7/20/25, and I have to say—this was hands down one of the best service experiences I’ve ever had. 💯 Even though I forgot our server’s name, I’ll never forget how professional, funny, and passionate he was. He clearly took pride in working at Steak 48 and knew the menu like the back of his hand. He patiently answered all our questions, made great recommendations, and made the whole ordering process super enjoyable. We told him we were sharing everything, and he thoughtfully brought each of us a giant hot plate for every dish—such a sweet touch! We ended up chatting for a long time, but thanks to those hot plates, nothing ever went cold. That level of attention to detail really impressed us. Now the food—wow. 🥩 The steak was insanely tender, juicy, and flavorful. Just the right amount of fat left on for that perfect balance. Definitely one of the best steaks I’ve had in Houston. The surprise birthday dessert was such a highlight too—fresh mini donuts beautifully presented on a silver “tree,” with a birthday message written on the plate. Simple, elegant, and so memorable. 🍩🎉 Everything from start to finish was flawless. Can’t wait to go back!

What an excellent experience! We were there to celebrate a birthday and they were very nice about acknowledging it every step of the way. Megan was our server and she did a great job explaining the menu and catering to our needs. All the food was absolutely superb, no comment. From the appetizers to the dessert. One thing I have to mention: they bring the plates where we’re going to eat HOT and you might think “so what?” But it makes a HUGE difference because it keeps your meat warm even after you start slicing it. What a clever idea! We came in early but left late, the vibe of the restaurant completely changes it too, looking way more party like, so if you’re coming with kids, I’d say come early.

No doubt we will come back for any special events we might have!

My boyfriend's birthday dinner at Steak 48 was an absolute success! We started with two fantastic salads, the Caesar and the Chopped, which were both fresh and delicious. The true highlight of the evening, however, was the Wagyu Tomahawk Steak. It was perfectly cooked and so succulent—each bite was unbelievably delicious and truly memorable. For our sides, we enjoyed the Potatoes au Gratin and the Creamed Corn Brûlée, both of which were rich and perfectly prepared. We finished the meal with the Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake, which was a perfect end to the night. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was top-notch, making it the ideal spot for a special celebration. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday dinner experience for him. We will definitely be back!

Wow! We had no idea this was such a hidden gem. Beautiful way to start the day surrounded by the nature of Houston. We will definitely bring the kids back to enjoy all the beautiful flowers and butterflies. Plus the fun climbing structures and museum to explore will be perfect for the family too.

A beautiful location for a maternity session! Im @momentsdearphotography on IG. We had no issues with mosquitos or bugs, the center was scenic and beautiful. It was quiet and there was no trash. It was the second time i had been here (the first time for a photography session) and i loved it each time!
Rhanda C — Google review
Is a pretty place to feel connected with the nature. The trail was in condition to walk or run even with a stroller and the playground was incredibly for kids of all ages.

Although there are beautiful plants the Arboretum doesn’t live up to the hype. It is a very tranquil place to take a walk but not many plants to see.
Kim H — Google review
We're on a business trip and just happen to be across the street so we visited. It was a really amazing place and great for taking walks. We saw various wildlife but did not do any of the things in the buildings.

Went for the pumpkin plotter event and the whole event was so fun and informative! Took a walk afterwards through the trails and they’re so well kept and beautiful.

Indian restaurant
Pondicheri is an industrial-chic restaurant offering a unique blend of Indian cuisine inspired by the streets of Mumbai. The menu features a variety of dishes, including vegetarian options and a Meatless Monday special. From Paneer Masala Curries to Smoked Eggplant Dosa and Black Garbanzo Buddha Burgers, there's something for everyone. Additionally, their Bake Lab offers delectable holiday pies like Pumpkin Chai Pie and Carrot Pie.
I ate there yesterday during a car show. The weather happened to be perfect to sit outside. The staff was very friendly. I never tried the dish I ordered for breakfast, so I was pleasantly surprised of the combination of flavors used in my wrap. My coffee and wrap were $15. I really recommend this place. plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Overall, a good option to try something new in the Indian food space! While the ambience and service were excellent, the food is quite dependent on the dish you order. It could be hit or miss. For example, the lamb dishes were very good (lamb puff, lamb chops). But the Butter Chicken was a miss for me (it tasted more like a Chicken Curry). Maybe ordering a North Indian dish in a restaurant named "Pondicheri" wasn't the best idea! The Texan Thali was a good option to try several dishes in reasonable portions. I appreciated that I was able to substitute the pork product for another item - and kudos to our server for paying particular attention to the dietary restrictions! The chicken kebabs were decent but perhaps getting a crab dish or dosa would have been better. I'd say, paired with good service and ambience, the place and its offerings intrigued me enough to warrant a return visit to try more of the menu! Parking is available in the adjoining garage.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The owner only buys the freshest ingredients and you can taste that in the dishes. My favorite items are the breakfast almond roti frankie, saag curry, saag samosa, butter chicken, avocado toast, THE OKRA (when in season), the pastry’s: rose cake, pav bhaji and last but not least the drinks. Juices from the bake lab are a must, plus, the cocktails downstairs. She also provides cooking mixes, cookbook, masalas, hair oil…. Pondi is the best modern Indian restaurant.
Jacqueline C — Google review
We love Pondicheri, especially for breakfast! The upstairs portion of the restaurant is open early for breakfast and has a good vibe. They feature fresh ingredients , espresso drinks and unique menu options like butter-chicken kolaches! Sooo good! My wife usually gets the egg wrap in an almond roti which is a great gluten free option. It’s breakfast/brunch with an Indian cuisine flare.

Pondicheri in Houston is a vibrant Indian-inspired restaurant that perfectly blends modern flair with traditional flavors. The dishes are creative, colorful, and full of bold spices—don’t miss their thalis or inventive desserts! The vibe is chic yet cozy, great for brunches or casual dinners. Service is friendly, and the presentation is top-notch. A must-try foodie spot! I would say it’s a bit pricey for the quantity of food it offers.
Manikandan — Google review
Smells amazing from the moment you walk in! Beautiful array of patisseries with interesting modern flavors. I disagree with the other reviews that it can be "over priced"... that being said, so many fresh options it was hard to decide! Super glad we found this option for lunch for our day trip to Houston. MUST try if you like contemporary Indian food. (p.s randomly really good playlist too😅)
Kayla G — Google review
Visited Pondicheri in Houston and really enjoyed the food. The fresh orange juice was refreshing, the lamb seekh kebab was cooked perfectly, and the naan with butter chicken hit the spot. Ended the meal with pistachio kulfi, which was a good choice. Ordering is simple, you place your order at the front and they bring the food to your table. Overall, a pleasant dining experience!
Bhavana N — Google review
It is important that you check out the menu before you head out to this restaurant. Since this restaurant does not serve traditional Indian food, you will be disappointed if that's what you are looking for. We ordered "Dosa and chutneys" and "Rajma chat". The Dosa did not look or taste like the traditional dosa even though the description said that it was made of fermented rice and lentil batter. The Dosa was quite dry, but the green chutney and sambar were good. The Rajma chat was ok.

The Houston Symphony at Jones Hall is a historic and renowned performing arts organization, established in 1913. Led by esteemed musical directors like Christoph Eschenbach and Andres Orozco-Estrada, the symphony presents around 300 concerts and recitals annually. Their performances encompass classical and POP concert series, family events, and symphony specials. The Symphony's home base is the Jesse H.
We were at the Symphony alot this season and it was always a gorgeous, wonderful experience. We have had a problem with food services triple charging a card and won't be using them again. We also don't like that the parking garage is $15 each time. The parking garage is mostly empty so it's not like they're charging during peak attendance times. We get our tickets through a veterans service and the parking is a bit much on the budget, I wish there was a frequent flyer deal for that. Still a fantastic experience and I'm glad we decided to go so much. We have one left, Mahler.👍🎶

We always have an amazing time while attending events at Jones Hall. Aln event held at Jones Hall is always a posh experience. From will call, ushers to the wait staff everyone is cordial, knowledgeable and willing to assist. The venue is always helps in pristine condition. A night at Jones Hall, is a night great memories are made.

Great Symphony. We attend the programs meant for kids because we have kids. We always get front row and they put on great shows that kids 3 to 11 would love. Holly Jolly Holiday and PNC Family Programs are great.

An unforgettable experience! The Houston Symphony delivers world-class performances in the beautiful Jones Hall. The acoustics are excellent, seating is comfortable, and the staff is welcoming. Perfect spot for a night of culture, whether you’re a longtime fan or new to symphonic music.

The Houston Symphony is always an excellent experience. We so enjoy each concert. Tonight they featured Frankie Moreno paying tribute to Elvis Presley. Frankie even slipped in a Jerry Lee Lewis number. Wow.
Mitch G — Google review
What an amazing show, we came to see "Elvis" and man was it amazing. Old, Young didn't matter music is music. Everyone in the audience was engaged and the hosts were by far one of the best yet.
David A — Google review
We saw the Houston Symphony perform the 50th anniversary performance of Jaws and the music and orchestra did not disappoint; the performance was fantastic and what a great way to introduce people to the Houston Symphony. However, Jones Hall fell well short. They ran out of bottled water to sell before the show; we stood in line for 20 minutes and got to the counter as they were ringing the bell to be seated to be told they sold out of water. There were also not near enough staff to accommodate the very long lines for drinks and snacks before and during intermission of the performance. It was a sold-out show; they know ahead of time how many people are going to be there and how do you not plan for that? The answer is greed. They care more about making money than paying to have adequate resources for those attending. If you are a VIP big money donor this review does not apply to you as you have a private bar and seating area available to you and your guests. Again, the Symphony did a great job it would be nice if Jones Hall would do better.

Divided by Aldine Westfield Road, the east side boasts meticulously maintained gardens showcasing bamboo, daylilies, endangered species, and more. The west side features an impressive arboretum with towering trees like cypresses and oaks.
Such a beautiful place for a walk! We were stunned by the diversity of plants, thoughtful design, and how well-maintained everything is. From winding paths and a fairytale staircase to gazebos, ponds, and peaceful benches—there’s something for every mood. Whether you’re into prehistoric, bohemian, or tropical vibes, you’ll find it all here. Great place for photoshoots 😍 A true hidden gem! 🌿✨

Lovely and relaxing with excellent pathways. The grounds are very well maintained with various themed gardens. I saw some interesting plants that I never knew existed. Lots of inspiration for Houston area gardening. It was smokin' hot in mid-July so we only stayed as long as we could with the heat, but we'll be back. Excellent location for photographers and special occasion photography. Parking and entrance are free.

This is great little garden and hiking trails area. Plenty of things to do for little kids to adults (and photographers like me). 📸 They have a great lineup of informational classes, very friendly and helpful staff, and a great way to spend an hour or two and enjoy the abundance of flora and fauna. On this visit, I saw bumble bees, turtles, various birds, rabbits, dragonflies, etc. Too many flowering plants to name. Such a great oasis of beauty, you should check it out!
Slyczak — Google review
This place was so beautiful! I loved walking around and just taking in all the sights. There were lots of gorgeous purple flowers, and so many great spots for photos. Bring a tripod or something if you want good shots! The best part is it’s free, and parking is free too, which makes it even better. We spent about two hours just exploring, enjoying the sunshine, and getting some fresh air. If you go on a hot day, don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses because there isn’t much shade in most areas. Overall it was such a nice visit, and we definitely plan on coming back!
K K — Google review
It tells extremely privileged to be able to enjoy this incredible space for free?! There are so many different sections to visit and explore. You can sit by the lake and watch the turtles and dragonflies while enjoying the peaceful and beautiful environment. You could walk through the gardens and spot all the fruits and veggies growing, tip toe through the fairy gardens, contribute to the nature art in the children's garden. This also seems to be a super popular space for photographers- easy to see why, it is magical. If you haven't made it out here, definitely make the trip.
Amanda N — Google review
I love this garden for the diversity of interning plants that thrive in this growing zone. You’ll find shady paths to explore or if you want to relax, there’s plenty of seating. Flowers and foliage to the MAX here!
Karl G — Google review
What took me so long to visit this garden! Don’t wait any longer. See it for yourself today! If I made a list of spots to visit while in Houston, this one is at the top. This is definitely “The Plant Zoo”. 🌴Zen lovers 🧘‍♀️and tree huggers beware you may not want to leave and will for sure visit again. I couldn’t believe I was in Houston. I walked the primitive trails as well, total isolation in the woods. Free nature healing session. See, feel, and explore for yourself. I left so light and uplifted. 🤗
Kali D — Google review
It’s a beautiful garden, and there are a bunch of labels and facts of the different plants. They have a huge variety of plants, landscape scenes, and different areas. It’s not too crowded, which I enjoyed, and people were respectful and quiet. It’s actually one of the only gardens/parks in Houston I felt like I could connect with nature without strong noises from kids, people or cars. There was also a koi fish pond with different water Lilly species

The taproom features Astros baseball team memorabilia and offers a variety of unique beers like Rocket Fuel, BrewGK, and the hemped up Wonder Water Herbal Seltzer line.
My son drug me here, really glad he did, great beer, food and atmosphere. The only thing i'd do different would be have more food trucks on site, the 3 that were there the day we went were very good. We shared a plate of slab fries...waffle cut...with lots of toppings, and a Cuban sammy done right from Eatsie Boys. We shared a half pound of tender delectable pork ribs and a half pound of moist end brisket that was very tender, lots of flavor and nice bark, made by Buck's BBQ. You can sample the beers they have on tap, when you have great product like they do, free samples will sell it. I enjoyed a coffee beer concoction that was very nice, my son had another great beer which i'd sampled too, it's name shall remain nameless 'cause I can't remember....I'm not much of a beer guy but places like this may change that.

Pretty rad spot to hang out for a quick beer and a bite - they’ve got food trucks all the time it seems. It’s in a very central location and the surrounding area is very walkable with a decent amount of stuff to see. The beer was solid and there was quite a bit of outdoor activities available at the time too - great for families with kids.
Frank B — Google review
Very cool interior with a chill outdoor area. They’ve got games around the brewery and drinks are fantastic. If you go out the back, there’s plenty of seating and cool spots to take some photos. Love the sculptures and the We Love Houston sign. Now for my standard comments. Interior is kept clean and seating is comfortable. Outdoor seating is pretty big as well.

I had the thc hibiscus margarita and it was delicious! It was tart but sweet at the same time. Place has a chill vibe. No food but there are food trucks/stands right outside.

Great beer selection and they hesitate to let you sample some beers until you find the perfect one to commit to! They had a food truck on site and air conditioning inside! Lots of memorabilia to make it a fun atmosphere. Great walking distance to other spots in Eado (East of Downtown). Also very close to the “we love houston” sign for pictures!! Parking was done through city app, very affordable and easy to extend your time if needed.

I grew up going to the Astrodome and I moved away at 18. This place not only brought back so many memories but the beer was very delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and I will come back when I make my next visit to Houston.

Park
Memorial Park in Houston, Texas is a sprawling 1,466-acre urban park offering a variety of outdoor activities and natural features. With 40 different amenities and activities available, visitors can enjoy everything from golf and swimming to flag football and croquet. The park's expansive space includes lush greenery, running trails, shaded areas for relaxation, tennis courts, and more. It's an ideal destination for those seeking outdoor adventure or simply looking to unwind amidst nature.
I love this park. It’s so big with different trails. There’s a golf course, baseball fields, workout area, tennis, track field … so much new things that I haven’t explored. There is a beautiful pond, beautiful flowers and it’s so peaceful. The land bridge and Eastern Glades area are new upgrades that also connect to the other side of memorial drive street. There is a playground and swings for the children.

Beautiful park, scenic and relaxing. I came here for a group hike not long ago. The views are always amazing. The place is really relaxed. Parking is no problem. Sometimes I take my nephews here, we all love it

Memorial Park is a gem. The trails are well maintained, there’s plenty of space to walk, run, or just hang out under the trees. I love how peaceful it feels, even when it’s busy. The recent renovations made it even better. Great spot for nature, exercise, or a quiet break.
Yuval C — Google review
One of my favorite places in Houston. Huge open space, beautiful trails, and always feels clean and safe. Whether I’m running, biking, or just relaxing, Memorial Park always delivers. The new land bridge and Eastern Glades area are amazing upgrades. Perfect spot to disconnect from the city without ever leaving it.
Yuval C — Google review
I have been coming here for years and I absolutely love this place. No matter what time of the day or night I come it’s always amazing to connect with nature and enjoy the atmosphere. I usually go around 3 to 5 when there’s not so many people and I can just enjoy the paths at my pace without people interfering. Anytime after that is fine as well, but there’s just a lot of traffic on the trails. So if you’re an introvert go before traffic start starts if you like being around people then go anytime. Trust me this place is a place you can connect with nature. Enjoy the atmosphere the breeze in your hair on your face and just enjoy nature inside the city. Definitely a place that you guys could get addicted to.

Bayou City Art Festival fit nicely in a top corner of the park. At least 95% accessible to wheelchairs. Some of the transitions from asphalt to ground were a challenge, but the biggest challenge was getting over a garden hose. Popped a wheelie and got the front wheels over, but couldn't get the back wheels over.
Robert G — Google review
I love this park so much! It’s scenic views with its trees, lakes, fountains, golf course there’s so much to do here. It has restrooms, walking/running trails, a huge amount of parking, playground, pickleball court, outdoor equipment area, picnic areas, covered picnic tables to celebrate special events. I love coming to this park and seeing all that nature has to offer.
