1HENRI Hotel Hamburg Downtown

Hotel
HENRI Hotel Hamburg Downtown is a chic hotel offering airy, polished studios and suites with free Wi-Fi. Its location near the Altstadt, Inner Alster lake, and Hamburg's central station makes it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. The rooms range from medium studios to large suites, featuring a bachelor-pad aesthetic with cozy blankets, colorful accents, and plenty of natural light.
I stayed here twice in a week. On the way out and on the way back. What fantastic service and friendliness from the staff. Rooms might be a little old fashioned but spotless and well equipped. The coffee maker was beyond me. I had to make tea! Nice idea combining check in, bar and breakfast room. Makes it very friendly with a good vibe. I especially like to idea of nibbles at 19.00 for the guests and turning that into the possibility of dinner. I used the spa, booked it on my first visit. Could be steamier but very relaxing. For me, this was part of a tour but I may well book again for a few days in Hamburg which I do not know well. I had 11 hotels on this tour, this was the best Terry Benstead

The Henri Hotel is very spectacular. From the moment you step into the reception, you feel a special vibe - a vibe of coziness and warmth. You are greeted with a big smile and a service level way above normal. The rooms are very clean and spacious. You have a coffeemaker and a fridge. The tv has several international channels. Breakfast is served next to the reception, in an almost living room like setting. It is well worth the €19 they charge. The buffet is big and regularly restocked - nothing sits there for too long and everything looks fresh and delicious. The hotel has a few parking spots in the backyard and there is a big parking structure very close. Almost everything you may wish to see is within walking distance. Rathaus, the Central Station, the harbour and Alster are all within 1 kilometer. St. Pauli and Dom is within 1,5 kilometer. It was my first time here, but most certainly not the last. It is not the cheapest hotel, but the ratio between price/service/ambiance/feeling makes it well worth it. Highly recommended!!

Our evaluation is very positive. We discovered a fascinating city and were very happy at the Henri, enjoying its privileged location and its family-friendly, trustworthy atmosphere. The attention and warm ambiance in the reception lounge are unbeatable, and our suite, 7.03, was magnificent for an extended stay. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and intelligently designed, with everything functioning well. In summary, we have very fond memories of the hotel, to the point that, to preserve them, we bought some of its souvenirs, which now decorate our home. Rafael & Nelly

My remarks may well not be very useful to you because I liked everything at and about the hotel. The commitment to design and style was not only attractive and pleasant, but appeared to be genuine and integral, rather than a gimmick or some kind of add-on. I also got the impression that the staff, especially those working in and with the kitchen for breakfast, genuinely enjoyed being there and worked hard to convey that impression. That is not only pleasant for the guests, but reveals a good deal about the hotel and its management. I look forward to staying there again.

Our 3 night stay in Henri Hamburg was a wonderful experience. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. The reception/lounge/restaurant area makes you want to spend time there, and the trust bar is nice and diverse. Would definitely visit again.

Fun, cool and nicely designed hotel with attention to detail. Caring staff and amazing German breakfast. Stayed twice in 2 different rooms and loved both. One drawback… there is no elevator to the lobby but a flight of stairs. That’s tough for heavy suitcases as we had them. So yeah people with mobility issues would have a hard time. Otherwise, great hotel.
Maria F — Google review
A cute little hotel in central Hamburg. Very well located and close to the main train station. Stayed here on business. The rooma are very comfortable (for one, I think they will be small for a couple). Check in and check out process wasn't the best, and might gain for a quicker, more efficient process. But all in all, a good hotel if you're in town.
Niv B — Google review
Our stay early September was very pleasent. The location of the hotel is perfect and parking on the innercourt was excellent. Yes the entrance is small. But for our stationwagon it was ok. Maybe put the measurements somewhere. The rooms are nice. Different but very comfortable. The airco did its work while is was outside 27 degrees. And what i really like. The windows can be opened Allmost forgot: the breakfast was excellent And last but not least. The staff was very friendly.

A Truly Exceptional Stay at Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten From the moment I arrived, the experience at the Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten was nothing short of outstanding. The staff was warm, professional, and attentive, making me feel welcome and well cared for throughout my stay. The hotel itself is a masterpiece—elegant, timeless, and immaculately maintained. My room offered a perfect blend of classic charm and modern comfort, with beautiful views and thoughtful details that made all the difference. Dining at the hotel was a highlight—each meal was exquisite, especially at the Michelin-starred restaurant, where the service and cuisine were world-class. The location is ideal, right on the Inner Alster Lake, with easy access to shopping, cultural landmarks, and scenic walks. It’s the kind of place where every detail is considered, and every guest feels special. Highly recommend to anyone seeking luxury, comfort, and impeccable service in Hamburg.

I wholeheartedly recommend the Vier Jahreszeiten to anyone looking for something special. Whether you're visiting for leisure or business, this hotel guarantees an unforgettable experience. I would book again in a heartbeat!

That was an amazing stay at the Vier Jahreszeiten, everything was beyond expectations for the service. Beautiful team at the breakfast which took good care of us and payed attention to each details. The only thing was that I came here for my birthday but nothing as been done in the room, any cake to celebrate it or something else which I felt a bit left over as I booked this stay especially to celebrate it.
Adrien B — Google review
This is a unique hotel, a beautiful historical building with elegant staff! The service was truly excellent throughout, and the rooms were very well maintained with very comfortable beds. Lewis and Lino at concierge provided me with great help with an issue I had with my car rental. A real 5 star experience and a clear recommendation from us!
Costis H — Google review
I spent 4 unforgettable nights at this hotel during my first visit to Germany, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The cozy, classic ambiance made me feel at home, and all of the staff are truly born to serve—with attention to detail. I would definitely return here on my future visit to Hamburg.
Pasima K — Google review
This was our second stay and I already thought the first time was amazing but somehow the second time round it was even better. The staff and service is just outstanding , rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and with no noise from other rooms or the City. Breakfast is next level with all german and international speciality & health food and 5* service. Highly recommended.
Katrin L — Google review
Staying at the Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten felt like stepping into a storybook. The location alone is incredible — right on the Inner Alster Lake — but it’s everything inside that makes it unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless. The staff welcomed us like old friends, remembered our names, and handled every detail with warmth and precision. Our room was beautifully appointed, with a perfect mix of historic charm and modern luxury. The bed was heavenly, the bathroom like a private spa, and the view over the lake was absolutely stunning — especially at sunrise. You could easily spend a full day just relaxing in the room, sipping coffee by the window and watching the city unfold outside. What truly sets this hotel apart is its sense of tradition and excellence. Breakfast in the lakefront restaurant was a daily highlight, with exceptional food and a calm, elegant atmosphere. We also had one of the best spa experiences we’ve ever had — the wellness area is intimate, serene, and beautifully designed. This hotel doesn’t just offer a place to stay. It gives you a feeling — of comfort, of history, of being genuinely cared for. It’s the kind of place where every moment feels special, and you find yourself already missing it before you even check out. If you’re visiting Hamburg and want to treat yourself to something truly exceptional, this is where you stay. It’s five stars in every sense — and then some.
Vito T — Google review
We loved our stay at the Fairmont Vier Jahreszeiten - from check in until check out everyone was friendly, professional, and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing, and our room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The location is great, too, with wonderful views. While we didn't have time to experience more of their food and beverage outlets, nor the amazing spa and fitness area, we loved that there were so many options, and wouldn't hesitate to choose it again in the future.

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Alster Lake, the Hotel Atlantic Hamburg, Autograph Collection is a true gem in the heart of Hamburg. This luxurious hotel has been a symbol of elegance since its inception in 1909, attracting an array of celebrity guests and offering a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Guests can unwind in beautifully appointed rooms and suites that reflect timeless sophistication while enjoying stunning views over lush greenery towards the lake.
We had a wonderful stay. Classy hotel, not far from the main train station, in a nice part of the city. Rooms are very comfy with lots of nice details. Staff at reception are very nice and friendly. I think some area of the hotel is under renovation, as we could see from our room’s window, although we didn’t experience any noise. I think also the swimming pool is close at the moment.
JR S — Google review
Hamburg was the perfect starting point for our trip, and Hotel Atlantic made our stay truly memorable. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the train station—which made getting in and out of the city incredibly convenient. It was a great base for exploring Hamburg for the first time. After full days of walking and sightseeing, the hotel’s courtyard became our go-to spot to unwind. It’s a peaceful, elegant setting for an evening cocktail, and we consistently received warm, professional service from the team. A special mention goes to the breakfast staff—the operation runs like clockwork. There’s a wide selection of fresh options, plenty of seating, and an attentive team that ensures everything runs smoothly. Truly impressive. From the moment we began planning our stay, the staff’s responsiveness and care stood out. Even before we arrived, we felt the hallmark of their hospitality. Our room became a cozy home base, and the front desk team added a personal touch that made us feel like long-time guests rather than first-timers. Overall, Hotel Atlantic exceeded our expectations at every turn. We’re already dreaming of our return.
Ray E — Google review
Very nice hotel. Comfortable, plush public areas, friendly and helpful staff. Used to be a Kempinski and not the same wow factor it had back then but still a very comfortable stay. Room sizes can be on the smaller end of the scale - ours was certainly a bit tight despite being classed as “superior” (really?). Perhaps a bit out of the way for the harbour and its attractions but handy for the train station
Michael M — Google review
A hotel of great charm and elegance, located in a refined neighborhood. The room was spacious and equipped with every comfort, making the stay particularly enjoyable. The inner garden and the bar are truly spectacular, perfect places to relax in a refined atmosphere. Breakfast was exceptional, with a wide and high-quality selection, and the service was impeccable, always attentive and guest-oriented. An unforgettable stay.
Simone R — Google review
I stayed in the hotel for one night in the second week of October 2021. Everything went to my fullest satisfaction until I tried to book the breakfast the next morning. My one night stay was fully purchased with Marriott Bonvoy points, as the limits on my bank and credit card accounts were fully utilised. Once it was apparent that the breakfast would not happen, my undoing reached its full potential when I tried to check out. More specific, when I was asked to pay the tourism tax. It is worth mentioning that I legally tried to turn my originally considered private stay into a business one showing the front office staff an official stamped and signed declaration of my employer. I was told that this could not be accepted, as it was not issued by the Stadt Hamburg. I would like to mention that Lé Meridian, Hamburg Alster had no concerns at all to accept it about a week earlier. Eventually, the front office manager addressed me with a very high level of arrogance stating I would not have to pay the city tax and “that everything would be okay” - fake smiling at me ... The discrepancy in his words and thoughts was obvious and quite upsetting! I left the hotel, but returned about six weeks later to see if my intuition was correct and I would no longer be welcome in the hotel promises. Very unfortunate, I was right - and to make my Hotel Atlantic Hamburg experience even worse, I was accused of behaviour by the lady at the front desk that did not even happen! For example, that I returned after checking out in the second week of October 2021 roughly dropping a couple of euro bill stacks on the front desk, which - obviously - did not happen. I just reached the deepest I could possibly get emotionally, when a young gentleman with golden glasses - supposedly the guest relationship manager - offered his assistance by calling security. Luckily, the lady at the reception saw no need in doing so - and I blame her female intuition and social intelligence for that. Nevertheless, this was probably the poorest I’ve been treated by a five star hotel client relations team ever! My disappointment could not be overstated! Which I find quite sad.
Vincent V — Google review
For a 5-star Autograph collection hotel, this was underwhelming. Rooms are beautiful and spacious, but service was not the best and high quality/usual Autograph experience. We had issues by check-in, as a Bonvoy member had to pay 50€ for 1h prolonging check out despite poor check-in experience, breakfast was much better last time I visited when it was Kempinski. Yes, it deserves 5-stars but the experience overall, especially vs other Autograph hotels warrants 3 stars.
Daniel F — Google review
We traveled from US to Germany / Hamburg and this is the hotel that 99% time I chose to stay with Lake View rooms. This time September 22nd to 24th I chose this hotel and paid Lake View Deluxe Room and paid extra for this selection. I called to hotel to make sure I will get what I paid for and the answer was nope we don't have rooms with Lake View at all. I argued with the night shift manager who was also not very kind to understand what I was trying to explain. Nevertheless, even we didn't get Lake View room even though I paid for it and we got the room 182 with partially part of the building's roof. No view at all. I am very disappointed with the treatment and with mis leading on their web side that the Deluxe room comes with Lake View but it didn't. While I was booking my room advertisement picture was promoting lake view room as well. It is a shame that 5 star hotel you extra fro Deluxe room to have lake view but you get ROOF view instead. I will dispute with credit card company with this mis leading deal and ask my refund.

One of the best Marriott hotels in Germany and I am surprised it is part of the Autograph collection, it should have been at least W, JW or Ritz status. Amazing historical venue (check the tomorrow never dies movie) with a flavor of exceptional service and very upscale clientele. I have been Titanium with Bonvoy for some years but never felt so well taken care of. Great Job Team!

MEININGER Hotel Hamburg City Center offers contemporary and stylish rooms, along with a bar/lounge and a game room featuring foosball tables. The hotel maintains the franchise's reputation for comfort, cleanliness, and modern design. Its private rooms are comparable to those of upscale hotels. This hotel is ideal for budget-conscious travelers seeking a sleek urban accommodation experience.
So it's a little late review but I wanted to say I did enjoy my stay here for the night very much. I want to shout out to the reception team, all that I met on September 21st-22nd were amazing helpful and friendly, especially Big shout out to Mou! They even let me stay in the lobby after I checked out so I could wait for my train in the night. Highly recommended for a couple of night stays, just to sleep and be close to the public transportation

Meninger Hamburg, July 4–8 – for the Ed Sheeran concert. Paid €1200. IRoom cleaning was supposed to be on request, but it was as if no one ever came – the rooms were dirty and smelly. The bathroom, unsurprisingly, had no window. Everything felt superficial: the beds had only a mattress and a mattress cover, with no sheets. One day before departure, after requesting cleaning service again, I noticed that my sunglasses — which were of significant value — were missing. I filed a report with the police and informed hotel management, but I have yet to receive any response. Terrible experience. The place felt unsafe and very chaotic. Absolutely not recommended.
Olti L — Google review
Based on recent reviews, the MEININGER Hotel Hamburg City Center is a great option for its excellent location, especially for train travelers, and its friendly staff. Guests appreciate the cleanliness and the value for money, though some note the rooms are simple and have a "hostel-like" feel. It's a popular choice for both groups and solo travelers.

I can’t stress enough how outstanding the service here is! Staff are caring and passionate. It's definitely my go-to in Hamburg now. Rooms are great value for value, clean and neat Great for groups and solo travellers!

I had a really nice time in the 3 days I spent in Hamburg. The reception is increidible, the breakfast buffet is complete, the play zone and kitchen is clean and the customer service is exceptional. The room was wide and very clean, and people in general was super friednly. The only flaws I saw is that shared rooms do not have curtains on each bed for more privacy the elevator was a bit slow and the bar didnt had many options available on the menu. Location really strategic, calm neighbourhood but with everything nearby though.
Lydia G — Google review
Our 4 person room was ok but at a cost of 2 regular double rooms. Cleaning was ok but with some smudges at the walls and i silver fishes in the bathroom. Could do with better ventilation or AC during summer time. The room only had a table fan. If you get a good price my guess is this place could be good for families with kids.
Joel R — Google review
The shower is full of black mold, I asked the staff to check and clean it but they don't do anything about it. Its so much if you touch it it comes off so definitely a health hazard. Its not really a hotel, more a hostel. No basic room utilities like cups, water cooker, tea, fridge etc. Location is close to Altona station. Car parking is 15 eu/day, you can find cheaper if you look around but its decent.
Stijn W — Google review
i have traveled in whole world. you guys have worst customer support. and. pathetic policy. which means any humanly mistake is not tolerable. plus you will can rent same room again. as i informed enough timely. ok if refunding is not option. i asked you customer service to at least offer me alternative room. she denied. i had to go through ordeal last night with my new born baby and two other kids as i could not found nearby place. to stay. i am planning to sue you guys via consumer court. such incompetent management should not allow to operate.

Superbude Hotel Hamburg St. Pauli is a hip and funky hotel that offers simple yet clean rooms with en suite bathrooms and free Wi-Fi. The budget buffet breakfast, lounge with entertainment options, and a bar downstairs provide a laid-back atmosphere for guests. With prices starting at EUR 65, the hotel features 89 colorful rooms ranging from doubles to the six-person Rock Star Suite, each equipped with modern amenities and playful upcycled furniture.
Very good rooms design i love it and I feel unique rooms design. I have gone in solo trip and I think this is the best decision. I will recommend everyone to try this hotel and will tell my friends and families that they should try this hotel.
Amresh S — Google review
Very clean and hip hotel (also hostel available), conveniently located near the nightlife of St.Pauli. Bus 3 towards the city centre stops in front of the hotel. The rooms are ok in size for a short stay. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is mainly vegetarian/ vegan oriented. The hotel has no own parking, and parking at the Fizz after dropping off your bags is recommendable.
Mathis V — Google review
Do not go here if you expect noise-isolated hotel rooms. I could hear every word from my neighbors, their faucet and shower, the steps from above and everything that happens in the hallway. Just uncomfortable. Not to mention the loud traffic from outside, even when the windows are closed. It is generally a nice looking place but the soundproofing is non existent.
J — Google review
I stayed here for a couple of nights and had very few complaints about the hotel itself. The rooms are spacious, the beds are super comfy, and the reception area is inviting with a great selection of food and drinks. They even have snacks available 24/7, which was a nice touch - we grabbed a few at 2 a.m.! Everything runs on an honesty system, so you just let the staff know what you’ve had when you check out. Bonus points for the NES in the room. The only minor downsides were the lack of cups provided in the room, and the shower, which tended to flood the bathroom floor. It wasn’t a big deal, but it was a bit annoying to step into a wet floor if you forgot about it later in the night. The location is decent, close to the Reeperbahn if that’s your scene, but far enough away to stay quiet if it’s not. It’s about a 30-minute walk to the city centre, which isn’t bad, and there are plenty of cafés, bars, restaurants, and even an Aldi nearby. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would 100% stay here again.

In general rooms were really nice for fall time. The rooms themselves are nicely decorated and feel like home. However, there is one major and a few minor inconveniences: 1. No air conditioning, just a small desk fan 2. The drain in the bathroom is in the shower, which is on an elevated floor. If it spills, which is quite easy to do, it is quite a mess to clean 3. There is no floor heating in the bathroom. Just a heating lamp on the ceiling. I have never seen something like this, and it is kinda inconvenient to use. I applaud that there is no mini fridge in the room. You can easily buy drinks from the lobby, and prices are very reasonable. The service staff were really nice and friendly. Breakfast is really nice and reasonably priced. Nice selection of breads, toppings, fruits, juices, self-made waffles, eggs, granola and yogurt. And the coffee machine was better than what a typical hotel has. If you come early or need to wait after checkout, you can leave your stuff for free for them to take care of. A huge plus. The lounge or breakfast area is also a nice place to play board games or have drinks with your friends. The area itself is really good, if you are a foodie. A lot of amazing restaurants in the area.

I hate this place. Nasty. I just checked in and I'm thinking I may take a night train to my final location as opposed to staying here. Not much sleep to be had with a motorway outside anyway. Hate this place.

Tortue Hamburg is a sophisticated boutique hotel located in the heart of Hamburg. Housed in a 19th-century townhouse, this charming and stylish hotel offers individually designed rooms that exude a sense of hominess. Each room features a living room area with a sofa and desk, extra-long beds, and marble bathrooms. The hotel boasts three restaurants and five bars, offering guests plenty of dining and entertainment options without leaving the premises.
An outstanding hotel in the heart of Hamburg, exceeding all expectations. Perfect location within walking distance to major attractions. Our room was exceptionally spacious, bright, and thoughtfully designed. The reception team was friendly, helpful, and highly professional. The sturdy umbrellas provided by the hotel were a thoughtful touch for Hamburg’s rainy and windy weather. We also dined at the hotel’s restaurant, and the quality, presentation, and service were simply top-notch. If I return to Hamburg, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you to the entire team for their warm hospitality.

Great Location Fabulous History Liked · A fabulous location and a characterful hotel with great rooms and lots of history. Comfortable beds, great bathrooms and nice bathroom products. Disliked · There was a vibe we all picked up on due the clientele which made it feel a bit like a hotel where folk bring their mistresses or a hangout for those who want to be seen. The restaurant price/quality ratio was off. Prices were equivalent to Michelan star restaurants in London but not to the same standard. They forgot to bring my desert but wanted to tell me a story about my whiskey.

By far one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at and keep staying at. Exquisite luxury, the service is impeccable, the quality of the hotel and amenities is excellent. The team at the reception, extremely kind and respectful every time, the brasserie a 10/10. See you soon!
Soukayna I — Google review
I booked this place based purely on the reviews, but we both found it impossible to find any love for it. This may be because I cannot take any hotel seriously that has the brass neck to charge €39 for pre-booked breakfast, or if taken on the day, €55! "It's a very good breakfast" said the reception guy as he was trying to pressurise me to take it. It would have to absolutely amazing to warrant €55, but the breakfast room was packed in the morning, so they have enough mugs/expense accounts to take up their offer. We walked 5 minutes and got a great breakfast for 1/3rd of this price. The standard doubles were OK - nothing wow. Tasteful and large enough, though the sofa faced in the opposite direction to the TV. No thoughtful touches whatsoever. Free minibar, but only soft drink. Tea bags, but nothing to boil water with. Nespresso machine but no milk, so it's black or nothing. So easy to put a little container of fresh milk in the fridge. No iron or board - something that's standard in every £60 Premier Inn room in the UK. No nibbles of any kind. 5 coat hangers in a double room. All pathetic at this price and level. Worst of all - the room was stinking hot the whole time. It wasn't a heatwave - max about 18-19deg outside, but even with the temp control on full "cool" it was still too warm in the room. This is because they don't have aircon, but "air movement" - something with which I've had problems before in Germany. They're trying to be green, but it's a waste of electricity, as it has zero affect on room temperatures. I left the window open during the day, but on return each eve, the cleaner had shut the window leaving a too-warm room to try and sleep in. In a heatwave, this place must be more "Torture" than "Tortue". They have a small cigar bar (Germany still, incredibly, allows smoking in bars. I say this as a smoker.) which vents into the courtyard. My partner's room smelled strongly of stale smoke, having left the window open for the same reason as I. The location wasn't near anything we needed, so overall this was a very poor choice on my behalf. The hotel patently has a very high opinion of itself, and one which is not justified. Hamburg was great, but I would give the Hotel Tortue a wide berth in future,

Cooperation at the highest level. The conference room met all requirements, and the lunch was delicious and served in an original way. Top-quality coffee and tea. An additional plus for the person who was always “at our disposal” and helped answer all our questions.

I came for the ambiance — I stayed for the sushi. TORTUE HAMBURG is the kind of place you stumble upon by accident and immediately wish you’d discovered years ago. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the city, it feels like stepping into a serene Tokyo alley — minimalist, elegant, and utterly calming. Soft lighting, warm wood tones, and delicate paper lanterns create an intimate atmosphere that’s perfect for date nights, quiet dinners, or celebrating life’s little victories. But let’s talk about the food — because this is where TORTUE truly becomes legendary. The sushi? Flawless. Each piece is a work of art — glistening fish, perfectly vinegared rice, and just the right amount of wasabi. The Otoro (fatty tuna) melted on my tongue like butter. The Hamachi was sweet, buttery, and fresh enough to taste like it had been caught that morning. Even their simple Tekka Maki (tuna roll) was better than anything I’ve had in Japan. And the sashimi? Mind-blowing. A stunning platter of ultra-thin slices of yellowtail, scallop, sea bream, and salmon — each cut with precision, served chilled, and drizzled lightly with citrus soy. I closed my eyes after the first bite. That’s how good it was. You can taste the respect for tradition, the obsession with quality, and the soul behind every piece. The rest of the menu doesn’t disappoint either — their miso soup is deeply comforting, their edamame perfectly salted, and their matcha tiramisu? A revelation. Service is quiet, graceful, and intuitive. Our server didn’t rush us — they guided us through the menu with quiet confidence, offered pairing suggestions, and even brought out a complimentary dessert plate as a thank-you. It felt personal, not performative. TORTUE HAMBURG isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. If you love sushi and sashimi done with reverence, elegance, and pure passion… this is your new sanctuary. I’ve eaten at dozens of Japanese spots across Europe — none compare. 10/10. Five stars feels too small. Come hungry. Leave transformed. 🍣✨

Nestled in the heart of Hamburg, Hotel Motel One Hamburg Am Michel is a contemporary haven that perfectly balances style and comfort. With its sleek rooms adorned in a chic dark wood, white, and turquoise palette, guests can expect a restful night’s sleep thanks to quality linens and heavy curtains. The hotel boasts an inviting lobby filled with vibrant colors and a trendy bar where you can unwind after exploring the nearby attractions like HafenCity and St. Michael's Church—just a short stroll away.
Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was nice and clean. It's near a train station, restaurants, and cafes. The breakfast buffet was great.

The Receptionist is unfriendly she looks like she doesn’t like the guests. Breakfast is bad very limited options, and not so good quality. All other staff are friendly and nice but the tall lady in reception shouldn’t work in service.

I am currently staying here near by the airport. I have been charged with booking 1400 euros for 7 days without breakfast. And on their website the price is much lower. The rooms are okay, medium sized, location is the worst to get to around you need to get on the bus for everything around you.

1. The location is excellent. About a 15-minute walk from the river. 2. The room is very new, but the lingering smell from the renovations was quite strong, causing me to have allergic reactions the next morning. 3. The breakfast was not very varied. The boiled eggs had chicken droppings and feathers on them, and some were cracked. Does this mean they contained chicken droppings? 4,If you have allergies, I wouldn't recommend staying here. If you have children, please do not stay here, the lingering smell from the renovations is not good for them.

Three sleepless nights at Motel One Am Michele… My room was located on the first floor near the service stairs. My entire stay at the hotel was accompanied by a "cannonade" of creaking and slamming doors. Silence fell from 2 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. The rest of the time, my bed bounced from the powerful blows.

The rooms are getting old. Care must be taken. In this case the price is really high. Therefore Motel One is nowhere near their starting point.

I often stay here for business trips. Hotel is basic but nice. The rooms are small, but the beds are comfortable. The bar is nice, but it doesn't serve much in the way of food if you arrive hungry. Just toasted sandwiches. There is a lovely Japanese restaurant right across the road, and a Thai restaurant too. I only ate at the Japanese but both are a 2 min walk from hotel.

Generator Hostel Hamburg is a trendy accommodation located in a former Beatles recording studio. It offers stylish dorms and rooms, as well as a 24/7 cafe. Situated near Hamburg Central Station, it provides convenience for travelers looking for easy access to transportation and onward travel. The hostel is part of the Generator chain, known for its quality service, cleanliness, facilities, and style.
Location is superb, just opposite side of Central Station. The surrounding may seem a bit intimidating but I had no problem when arrived a bit late in the evening for check in. They had renovation going on and upgraded to private room at no extra cost. Room was fine for a solo traveller, but if a couple, it could have been a tad small. Pharmacy is on the opposite side (which I needed), Penny supermarket is close by. So is the bus and tram stops. Staffs at reception really nice and helpful. Would stay again if visit Hamburg.

My partner and I had a good stay at Generator Hamburg. The location, literally 2 mins walk from the station and a 15 minute walk into the city centre, is brilliant! Our 6 dorm room was spacious and bright, clean beds and bathroom, and the reception staff were lovely. However, the lack of air con in the room means the room was very warm - you need either the provided fan on or the windows open, and the noise from the street is very loud! Coupled with the small showers, it meant the finishing touches of the visit could’ve been better. We stayed for 4 nights, and whilst we had a good stay, I would recommend this hostel is perfect for a 1 or 2 nights stay and not a lengthier holiday visit.
Aoife L — Google review
I stayed at that hotel a week ago. The location was very nice. The staff was very nice, especially the reception staff were very nice young people. But the rooms were very small and very stuffy. The windows never opened. The toilets and bathrooms were quite small, we felt like we were in a caravan bathroom. Those who came to clean the room in the morning threw the beds on the floor and took the sheets. They were changing the sheets, there were no baskets, the quilts and pillows were thrown on the floor, they were changing the sheets, the woman who came to clean the room in the morning was constantly saying something and she left, slamming the door, grumpy. It was a woman. The toilets and bathrooms were not cleaned with bleach daily. The floors were not cleaned with bleach. The elevators were very dirty everywhere. I think the bed and surroundings of the person who left the house should be cleaned with medication. But still the energy and atmosphere was nice, thank you very much to the receptionist 🙏🙏♥️
Rosa R — Google review
I wouldn’t recommend this hostel. I didn’t feel very comfortable in the surrounding area, as there were quite a few sketchy people around, which didn’t give me a great sense of safety. The service also left a bit to be desired. I left the sign to have my room cleaned a few times, but it was never done. When I asked for fresh towels, I was told they are only changed every four days, something that wasn’t mentioned at check-in. Overall, I think there are likely better options if you’re looking for a stay that feels safer and more convenient.
Nuria S — Google review
I stayed here and the room was not good. The accommodations are for someone who is child size. I asked for a refund for the rest of my nights I booked and they said it’s not possible. If you need to stay 1 night it might be good so you can get some sleep but don’t expect to have a nice time if this is the main place you’re staying. It’s located in a good place next to the train station and a few of the front desk people are nice but others aren’t.
Charlie S — Google review
Location was good and central but rooms weren't very clean and the bathroom was tiny. The staff wasn't friendly. We asked for towels to shower and they had an extra cost, we thought it was pricey. This had never happened to us in a hostel before. Overall not the best experience.
Andrea S — Google review
Proximity to the station is fantastic! Staff are helpful. Nice bar/breakfast area. That said the room was boiling, like being in a sauna. Bathroom is tiny, not a complaint at the price, just worth knowing.
Luke E — Google review
Location was good in some ways bad in others, right beside the train station so if arriving by train this hostel would be ideal if not for the large groups of homeless men who stand around the hostel and neighbouring area, open drug use, poor smell and accostment. Though that is probably the only drawback to the hostel, other than this, the hostel was everything one might need, though the shower was quite cramped.

One of the best hotels I stayed in Hamburg. Space rooms, clean, great location, quiet place to rest and my dog was in heaven. Breakfast was good and it is opened long every day. Excellent in all aspects except for the horrendous music they play all day long in the lobby. It is incredibly bad...like the proverbial "elevator music" but piped into the lobby. Other than that the staff were lovely, really friendly and efficient. Breakfast excellent too. I really like this hotel...my wife thought so too.

Found there’s no room for me when arrived, though the person at the reception was very helpful, and sent me on a taxi paid by the hotel to another hotel to spend the night. In the morning I was asked if I want to stay, or go back to my originally booked hotel, and I went back, as it was close to my appointments. When o arrived, there was still no room for me, and I was left to wait in the lobby. After about an hour I decided it’s time to contact the manager via phone, and in 15 minutes I got a room, though it was smelly. Left for my business and kindly asked the smell to be fixed, or to move me to a different room. Happily on my return the smell was not that prominent, and I managed to sleep well the last night. Quite a bad experience unfortunately, and the situation was quite badly managed.

Staying in the Elbphilharmonie Suite at The Westin Hamburg feels like dwelling between sky and sea. Set high within the glass crest of the Elbphilharmonie—designed by Herzog & de Meuron—the suite inherits the building’s rhythm of curves and reflections. Its floor-to-ceiling windows echo the sweep of sails and the shimmer of water, catching the light as it drifts over the harbor. Inside, tones of sand, grey, and sea blue create a quiet resonance, as if the room itself were breathing with the tide. From the bed, the panorama unfolds: HafenCity, Speicherstadt, and the Elbe shimmering far below. By day, cargo ships slide along the river; by night, the city lights soften into silver. It isn’t luxury that dazzles—it’s tranquility rendered through architecture, a place where you can read, bathe, or simply gaze, until time dissolves into light.

Good size rooms with comfortable bed. Staffs are fluent in English and polite as expected for Westin standard. Great view and got lucky sighting of a navy vessel. Only 1 small down side is the breakfast is the same every day. The range is also limited for a full 5 star like Westin. Other than this, all is perfect and highly recommended hotel in Hamburg

There is a such a potential with this hotel, yet our experience with the service was a disaster. After checking in, we waited thirty minutes to receive our luggages in our rooms that were misplaced some other floors. The front desk had young and unexperienced staff smiling when asked for someone responsible to talk to and room cleaner coming to knock at the door in the morning before 9AM.. Wondering if someone is actually in charge of details at this hotel.

I found this to be a quirky hotel, placed as it is on top of the Elbphilharmonie almost as an after-thought. The entrance is small and poky, the shape and layout of the hotel is odd but it works best when in your room looking at the view. The public areas are small and the pool was not quite what we expected. And the food and beverage prices were astronomical.

The hotel provides easy access to attractions like the long Reeperbahn Boulevard and the Miniatur Wunderland Railway. Guests can enjoy free use of the spa, wellness center, sauna, and fitness facilities. The Italian restaurant on-site offers a delightful dining experience.
Beautiful surrounds, perfect location and good parking option attached to the hotel, great ambience, nice rooms. Plenty of great places in close walking distance. The kids slippers, glass and welcome pack was a lovely addition - this feels like an adult hotel which is friendly to kids. We didn’t eat at the hotel. Would absolutely return on future visits to Hamburg.

Great hotel in a perfect location! We were warmly welcomed by a friendly young man at the reception (a trainee, as I later found out) – very professional and kind service. The hotel is super clean, our room was tidy and had an amazing view. Don’t miss the 7th floor terrace with a stunning view of the city!

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. When we arrived at the reception, the elderly man working there looked at us strangely and told us that there were no available rooms. However, when we checked the hotel’s website, it clearly showed several available rooms. We ended up booking a room online while sitting on the lobby sofa. When we returned to the reception and told him we had made a reservation online, he suddenly claimed that he “didn’t see it” and that there were rooms available after all. This back-and-forth was confusing and unprofessional. Eventually, we were given room 201, but to our surprise, it had no bed and was in a very dirty condition. We took photos and went back to the reception to report it. The receptionist acted surprised and claimed he had no idea about the state of the room, but he did give us a different room after that. The whole check-in process was stressful and poorly handled. The receptionist was not welcoming and came across as rude at times. It felt like we were not wanted there. This is not the kind of experience I expect when staying at a hotel, especially when paying for a night’s rest. Cleanliness, professionalism, and basic courtesy were all lacking. I do not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

Room Type: Premium. Room Rate: $250/night. Pros/Positives: • Very quiet, despite facing busy street. • Large room with separate sleeping area, desk area, and bath area. • Comfortable bed. • Effective black-out curtains. • 7-min walk to Minatur Wunderland. • Excellent water pressure. • Ample virtually instantaneous hot water. • Hand held shower wand (a must have for me). • Private toilet room/closet. • Comfortable sitting chair. • Cordial front desk staff. One even visited room with me to investigate two issues (see below). Cons/Negatives: • Power shades inop. When reported to front desk agent (who witnessed issue), she advised no one available to repair for days. • In-room phone could only receive calls, not make outgoing. Again, when reported to front desk agent (who witnessed issue), she advised no one available to repair for days. • During check-in (a Thursday), front desk agent advised I hadn’t pre-paid. Absent readily available documentation to the contrary, I therefore paid. I later found pre-payment document, and showed to front desk agent (different from check-in agent), who acknowledged prepayment. Agent stated that “colleague” had left note in my file that I needed to pay at check-in (eh??). I requested immediate latest charge reversal. Agent initially said they couldn’t initiate that until Monday. I challenged, noting that mistake was theirs, and that erroneous charge would affect my credit limit. He reconsidered, and said he would initiate charge then and there. When checking out on Sunday, I asked front desk agent if erroneous charge was reversed. He confirmed. Upon return home, discovered erroneous charge still applied. Subsequently sent email requesting charge reversal…again. They responded they would. After three days, still no charge reversal (either pending or complete). Consequently filed formal dispute with credit card company. All this very amateurish, unnecessary. • Room key card only grants access to your floor from both elevators and stairs. Never encountered this level of security before, which proved to be inconvenient/problematic when attempting to visit traveling companion, whose room was one floor up. We both had to meet in lobby, then travel together to whoever's respective room. • Shower water flows under door (no dam or lip exists), wetting adjacent floor. • Uncomfortable and wobbly desk chair. • Only available nearby breakfast venue is expensive on-site breakfast buffet. Bottom line: All in all, not worth nightly rate. Credit card snafu hopefully a rarity. Hotel across street might be better choice next time.

Nice hotel with perfect breakfasts. There is only one issue that hotel is located a bit far from the downtown.
Alexander B — Google review
Other's praise the hotel's staff, but for us the experience was different. While the room was cozy and the location somewhat close to the centre of the city, the reception staff's attitude was disgusting. The lady receptionist was basicaly throwing the check-in forms at us and anwsered every question with arrogance. When asked about a different parking spot because of not fitting into the one initially provided, the same receptionist looked at us like we cursed her entire bloodline, and treated us accordingly. It's sad to see one person of the staff ruin the face of the whole hotel.

Rooms are dated and need updating but good facilities inside the room, which also comes with a balcony Disappointing to have to pay to park at €10 Breakfast expensive at €18 a head when McDonald's is only 400m away

Room was pretty ok. With AC I would've given 4 stars. Service wasn't very friendly or fast. Location is what it is.
Kaj K — Google review
Room was nice and suited us as a family of 4. Pillows were awful though and made sleep uncomfortable. Location was OK but let's just say there are some ladies touting for business nearby, so wouldn't advise walking. Parking was good below the hotel but cost €12 per night. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately we had dinner there one night. Food was nice but service so unbelievably slow, we couldn't get a second drink and didn't bother with dessert as the waiter spent all his time in the kitchen.

The Sir Nikolai Hotel is a luxurious boutique hotel situated in the heart of Hamburg's historic Old Town. With its unique setting on the Nikolaifleet canal, it offers guests a unique and memorable experience. From its stylish rooms to its range of event and workshop options, the Sir Nikolai Hotel has something for everyone.
Our stay at The Nikolai Hotel in Hamburg was outstanding from start to finish. The rooms were incredibly modern—comfortable, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. We were lucky enough to have a room with a view of the water, which made the experience even more special. Waking up to that view each morning was one of the highlights of our trip. The staff was equally impressive. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming, professional, and eager to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It’s clear that hospitality is a priority here, and it really made a difference.

Beautiful boutique hotel in an amazing location, super friendly and helpful staff (I was able to check in earlier), tasty breakfast with a variety of options. Modern room, with an unusual yet comfortable solution for the shower, toilet, and sink. The only issue was that the room was quite loud and acoustic. Both nights I was woken up by very loud clicking/electronic noises in the middle of the night; toilet flushing from other rooms could be heard as well.

We loved our stay at Hotel Nicolais in Hamburg. The breakfast was delicious. Everything was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. A special thanks to the receptionist, who was super friendly and helpful. He always welcomed us with a smile and made us feel at home. We’d definitely come back and recommend this place!

Really friendly & helpful staff, beautiful decor including the rooms. Great location - very quiet neighbourhood yet under 15 minutes' walk from most things in town. Good value for money, would happily recommend.

I stayed at Nikolai Hotel Hamburg on 10–11 September 2025. I travel frequently, and this time I accidentally booked the wrong year. I was truly overwhelmed by the professional support I received from the front desk, especially from Alina. I had the same impression in the restaurant, where all the staff were professional and welcoming. Thank you very much, Alina — I genuinely look forward to booking this hotel again.

The location is great, the interior design beautiful, staff is really friendly, the room spot on with all you need. It was an amazing experience to be there and for sure, if I have to stay in Hamburg again, it will be at the Nikolai

Loved this hotel. Beautiful interiors, and felt quite luxurious. We didn't like the layout of the room, the half bedroom, half bathroom mix was just weird. But other than that everything was lovely. Would have been nice to be able to have roomservice. All staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. We really enjoyed the breakfast service. We will for sure use this hotel again when we come back to Hamburg. Was very close to everything, and still nice and quiet.

Nestled in the heart of Hamburg's vibrant St. Pauli district, Pyjama Park Hotel & Hostel St.Pauli is a trendy and eccentric accommodation option for business travelers, design enthusiasts, and individualists alike. The rooms, referred to as "Parking Spaces," are uniquely adorned by a local urban artist and offer a bright and tasteful ambiance.
The location is great for those who want to be in the heart of the action :) It is smack dab in the heart of the red light distract, the entrance is in between a bar and a sex shop…not kidding. You have to be ok with the scene and the odd homeless person, but it is safe and a great spot to walk to the town center, the St. Pauli football stadium, the fair grounds, the Landungsbrücken, congress center and the Michael Jackson musical is right across the street as are variety shows, some cool bars and a couple clubs in the district. Hooters with the best wings in town is at the other end of the strip and Cuneo, Germany‘s oldest and first Italian restaurant is a 5 min walk. The place itself is very clean, furniture is modern, rustic and practical and bathrooms are clean with nice towels and even amenities (shower gel/ shampoo, handsoap). Beds are comfy with nice sheets. WiFi is great and you can log into your Netflix to watch movies on a smart flat screen tv. I have come with my son and also with a friend. We never had breakfast, but the buffet looks and smells great with a good selection. Dining room and public spaces by the reception are bright and airy and great for remote work. There’s no bar but a well stocked fridge at the reception and the public spaces are nice to hang out in the evenings with a drink for a chat. In the summer, there’s a small roof terrace to sit outside in the backyard. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating, never a grim face and always ready to help. I have stayed several times, because the rates are great for a metropolis like Hamburg and as a native Hamburger with the clubs being my old hang outs in the 80s I feel right at home. Even though it’s called ‘hostel’ it is so much more than that compared to some places I have stayed all over Europe. It sets a high bar for hostel standards :) it’s a great and fun place! For me there’s just one negative point to mention - although it doesn’t bother me: there’s no elevator. You enter at street level and have to walk up a stair case to get to reception. The rooms are also located on several levels which you reach by a system of stairwells in the back of the house, as they have combined two buildings. To me, it adds to the charm and I don’t need the elevator muzak, but you have to be able to use your faculties :)
Susanne D — Google review
Super clean even the share bathroom and toilet. I get towels too and there is hairdryer in my bedroom. Super recommended place with relative good price. Will come back for sure next time. Maybe with another family or friends. Definitely recommended.
Liviany H — Google review
It's a small hostel. The beds are actually quite good, and the private bathroom was very clean. Towels and linens were okay, although they didn’t smell clean and fresh. The family room has a TV and a fan, but no air conditioning. We slept very poorly — if the heat doesn’t keep you awake, the noise from the street or neighboring rooms will, or simply the cigarette smoke from the nearby bars. The area is full of sex shops and strip clubs, which is not exactly pleasant if you're traveling with children. There are many homeless people around, and the smell is terrible. I would never recommend this hotel, especially not if you're traveling with kids or elderly people. The description on Booking.com is misleading and does not reflect the actual conditions of the place.
Samantha P — Google review
I brought a good pair of earplugs; they weren't good enough. Loud music through the walls until nearly dawn. Can't speak for the other rooms but if they give you a room with a number below 30 you won't get a good night's sleep unless you're already deaf. Might as well have tried to sleep in the bar itself - at least would've saved money that way.
Kn — Google review
Good quality hostel, better than the other hostels. Breakfast costs 12,90€ per person. Room is comfortable, bathroom is excellent. The only negative thing is only the location, it’s located in red district area. As a woman, I feel uncomfortable with the environment. But everything else, like price, staff, facilities were perfect!
Shiera Y — Google review
My room was very dirty. There was dirt all over the floor. The room could not be locked. I felt like I was in a poor district of Rwanda. Sorry but never again here.

Receptionist bad attitude on the 31.7.25., afternoon. there was a lot of people checking in and unfortunately she lost the patience
Christian B — Google review
We’ve stayed for one night here. The hotel was pretty nice. Good beds, large windows which could be opened all the way. The bathroom we had to share with 3 other rooms, but it was really clean and there were always fresh towels. The man at the reception was really friendly. You had to leave your key at the reception when you went out, so you couldn’t lose it. The reception was open 24/7 so even in the middle of the night you could get in and get your key. We didn’t really look into the location of the hotel beforehand, and it was in a rather sexual area. It’s perfect for going out, but we weren’t planning on doing so, which made it a little less of a fit for us. But the hotel had earbuds for sleeping provided in the room, which was a great detail. But nonetheless it is a great hotel!

Nestled in the vibrant HafenCity district, the 25hours Hotel Hamburg Altes Hafenamt is a delightful blend of nautical charm and modern comfort. Opened in 2016, this stylish hotel features uniquely decorated rooms that offer stunning city views and come equipped with flat-screen TVs. Guests can unwind at the lively bar or savor Mediterranean cuisine at the on-site restaurant.
Enjoyed my stay at the 25h. Great meeting room for our meeting we hosted. The staff is fantastic. I accidentally left my laptop in my room and they were extremely helpful in boxing it up for me so it could be picked up by a courier. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Hamburg!

Stayed 2 nights at the 25Hours Hamburg. Great location - Convenient for transport, city centre and Hafencity area. Welcoming staff - we arrived early but room was ready and we were able to check in. Comfortable room with masses of space. A nice touch is the free mini bar! The restaurant is superb - would recommend booking in advance - we were lucky and got a last minute cancellation so it's worth asking. The only issue we had was the somewhat esoteric lighting in the room. Switches everywhere and apparently random sequencing. We treated it as part of the charm and (almost) figured it out before we left for home. This was our first visit to Hamburg. We would definitely stay there again if/when we next visit.

I really cannot fault this hotel. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The staff were friendly and efficient. The bar is welcoming and fun. The parking is a real asset. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but I am confident that it would have been exceptional. Well worth the premium price...

WARNING! Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at 25hours Hamburg Altes Hafenamt. Funky boutique hotel that should be a great hotel however with no systems in place and poor customer service I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Problems: Air-conditioning not working at all making the room so hot you couldn’t sleep without opening every window above the hotel bar and incredibly noisy. Reported fault to hotel staff who claimed to fix it but wasn’t then told by technician a like that it was working who then disconnected it completely and over the weekend the hotel doesn’t have access to the technician??? This issue went back and forth each time with different staff members who had no idea as nothing is recorded. No rooms available apparently to be moved to until final night which was basically a dungeon next to the laundry (no thanks). Hotel restaurant closed for private function on the Thursday night when we arrived not informed at check in and then Friday night hotel bar also closed for private function so do not plan to use hotel facilities as a guest! Dark, dark rooms and difficult to see anything and yes I am in my forties but seriously put some lighting in. Staff are as mentioned in other reviews very nice but have no idea about service and dealing with issues. Also not enough staff as you are constantly waiting and the cleaning of the rooms (only happens every second day) is basic at best not even changing the mini bar or glasses etc just make the bed! Positives: Beautiful building and funky hotel vibe but honestly that is it. We were offered free parking and a free breakfast for our truly unbearable stay and for the price I would definitely stay elsewhere when I return to Hamburg.

Was pleasantly surprised with the Hotel in general as it is quite different to your usual Hotels. Young friendly team in all Front Office and F&B. Location is fabulous with a Mall and restaurants at walking distance . Personally was not happy with the lighting in the room as it wasn't bright and also the small size of the wardrobe.

Loved the Location where we could walk to many of the attractions. Beautifully decorated and great staff. Really loved listening to the seagulls and had a wonderful meal at the hotel. Delicious

I expected more from this hotel. Ok room, but poorly cleaned. They had forgotten a dirty towel in the bathroom. The area is quite dead but there are a couple of really good restaurants in the area. The reception is understaffed, we had to wait more than 15 minutes to get our bags when we were leaving.

Hotel Louis C. Jacob is a historic 18th-century property located in Hamburg, offering a French fine-dining restaurant, a spa, and a terrace cafe with river views. The hotel exudes period charm with its panelled walls and double-height ceilings while also incorporating modern elements such as a zen-fresh wellness area with living walls and glass-walled sauna. The rooms feature bespoke wooden flooring, extra-long queen-size beds, and views of the serene Elbe River or the garden.
Love the hotel for a calm family get away! Also the food and the drinks are amazing ✨ The Hotel was lovely decorated for Christmas and it always be a home away from home. They even had an advent calendar for their guests and my grandparents loved it.

We visited on a Wednesday afternoon for a British Afternoon Tea. Our expectations were exceeded on every level - very friendly service, a fantastic ambience, and the Tea itself was outstanding. A comparison with similar places in Hamburg and other cities leads to a clear winner: Louis C. Jacobs Highly recommended and we cannot wait to visit you again. Heartfelt wishes from Vienna

Excellent and spacious rooms. The staff was attentive and welcoming, a perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. The lounge offers an elegant and intimate atmosphere, with private corners that make it perfect for a relaxed evening. The location is a bit far away from the city center, but with excellent bus connections it is very easy to reach. In fact, being in a calm and quiet area is a real plus, making it the perfect place to relax
Wieneke — Google review
The Hotel Louis C. Jacob is so cute! And romantically located at the banks of the Elbe river with a view to the Airbus Site. The main part of the hotel dates back to the 18th century and has its charm. The latter also counts for the staff. I was very impressed by how friendly everyone was. I noticed a young staff in the service and an easy-going work flow. The only challenge might be the way from/to the city of Hamburg. There's a public bus going though. Really recommendable!

Beyond disappointed. This property is completely false advertising and essentially acts as two separate hotels. I arrived early hoping to leave my bags and enjoy the hotel - they did not offer any information of the property, any guidance to a cafe or restaurant, no advice on the area or where id be staying. I came back at 3pm for checkin I was shocked when told, my room is "across the road" this is in a modern airport style motel not in the historic building that is included in every image on the listing. Disappointed, I went up to my room and was shocked at the heat inside, the temperature was like a sauna and did not change. I asked for a fan and all it did was circulate hot air. I didn't sleep either night and had to spend the majority of the time off property. There was a single glass (see images), not kettle, two measly pillows that squashed to nothing and a filthy window smeared with some sort of liquid. The cost of this hotel alone should set the hospitality and facilities to a higher level but no. It was over $600 AUD to 2 nights, no breakfast, a room hot as hell and no customer service as I was shunned into the second property - this is not disclosed (what is written is that all rooms have a deck.. no they don't.) I went to see what I was missing out on in the cafe, no one served me.I checked out front desk said nothing didnt ask how my stay was. This is common courtesy. I asked, "is that everything then?" Or they wouldn't have even said goodbye.
Beattie R — Google review
An excellent hotel on the banks of the Elbe. Luxurious rooms and comfortable, inviting communal areas. Friendly, efficient service throughout. There’s a car park, multiple buses stop outside or it’s a short walk to the ferry stop for Airbus or the centre of Hamburg.
Andy R — Google review
Great view over the river but it’s Airbus factory. The service at the reception was efficient but a little cold. The restaurant staff were good. The rooms are very spacious and nice. The parking is underground - get instructions before arriving. Too expensive for the value considering it’s a long way from the city.

About a week before my stay, the hotel let me know of issues with the Ballsaal suite which led to a change of suites. My point of contact, Alexandra, was very professional, responsive and considerate, easily resolving my concerns. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite with a river view. Both the suite and the hotel were beautiful and well-maintained, reflecting five-star quality. The staff I interacted with were professional and fantastic. The food was also just as great. The only very minor issue was that room service accidentally took a fridge magnet in a Hotel LCJ box (& an unopened bottle of champagne), something I would have liked to keep as a memento. However, this did not dampen my overall positive experience. The time spent at Hotel LCJ was a great experience. Both the hotel and its staff fully deserve their five star status. I look forward to visiting again!

I liked my stay at this hotel. It almost has everything. The rooms are having a vibe of jungle tent, while facilities are modern. The breakfast spread is good and also the hospitality. Their gym is also adequate

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 great hotel for families or couples. 🛏️ rooms are spacious, they are Africa/safari themed ¿? Bed and pillows are comfortable. I would put sheets on the beds not only the duvet. 💦 complementary water everyday. 👍🏼 service was friendly but kind of difficult because they don’t speak fluent English. 🍳 breakfast is awesome with plenty of options (eggs, breads, pastries, hams, cheeses, yogurts, juices, smoked salmon, cereals, tea, coffee) 🍔 the restaurant is very good as well, I had the cheeseburger with fries. So yummy! 📍location is good if you don’t want to stay in the center of Hamburg but still be close enough. To go to the city center from here just take the subway on the Hagenbeck Tierpark station, it’s a block away. There are good restaurants nearby. ⏱️ check out is at 12:00

We had a truly pleasant experience at this hotel. The staff were exceptional—always kind, considerate, and attentive to our comfort. What impressed us most was how they remembered the small details of our preferences, especially at breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was excellent. The variety and quality of food were top-notch, and the spread included something for everyone. The fact that they even provided toys for toddlers was a thoughtful touch—although, at times, it could be a bit distracting for kids. We stayed in the family room, which was huge, cozy, and very comfortable. The only minor issue was the pillows—they weren’t ideal, and while replacements were available, we didn’t request them. One notable drawback was the lack of a smart or customizable TV. We were limited to a few German channels, and with kids in the room, not being able to stream content like Netflix made things a little trickier. On the plus side, the espresso machine in the room, with its selection of premium blends, made for a perfect morning coffee moment without having to head down for breakfast. The hotel also offered a 20% discount on entry to the Hagenbeck Zoo, which was a lovely surprise we only learned about during our stay. Location-wise, it’s just steps away from the train station, making it super convenient—even if it's slightly removed from the city center. Still, it felt peaceful, cozy, and just right for a family trip.

Arrived late, receptionist was very distant in welcoming us. We got the room that was ready they said. In the toilet there was no soap to wash your hands, I told them and I was given a soap dispenser to install myself. The hotel is not a cheap hotel and small things like that should not happen. Quiet rooms good, breakfast good.
John H — Google review
Very poor communication, 4 days have passed and no response to the email, although it is no longer necessary. Sometimes they communicate via WhatsApp, sometimes not. On the first night, car mirrors were stolen right next to the hotel. The administration did not do anything about it. Parking a car is really unsafe, the police officer said so. Although I asked about it in the app before arriving. I would not come back a second time.
Gediminas B — Google review
When I checked in, I confirmed whether my reservation is included Breakfast or not. front desk confirmed that it is not included. but they charged. Since we were leaving early the next morning, I checked with the front desk the night before to see if breakfast was included. They told me it was, so I asked them to remove it, and the staff said it would be cleared by the next morning. However, in the end, I ended up spending about 15 minutes talking to a different staff member in the morning. The coordination was poor.

We’d booked a double room, but got twin beds… okay, we can live with that. Then we discovered the TV screen was broken and the showerhead was missing. We phoned the reception with our problems and were told that there were no technicians at work this weekend and the hotel was fully booked… but we could get free parking 🙃
Jeppe E — Google review
The gym was in excellent condition and really well-equipped, which I appreciated. Our room had a balcony, which was an unexpected bonus, and the breakfast was a real highlight – fresh, varied, and very high quality. The garden pond with reeds, water lilies, and animals added a pleasant touch, and service overall was good. On the downside, vegetarian options at breakfast were limited, and unclear labeling meant we accidentally ate fish. The interior design leans heavily into a colonial theme that feels outdated and tone-deaf. This is particularly problematic because the hotel highlights Carl Hagenbeck, who also founded the adjacent zoo, without addressing his involvement in colonial “human zoos.” The décor ends up presenting this troubling past as a quirky theme instead of something to reflect on, which made parts of the stay quite uncomfortable. Some facilities (like bathroom details) felt unnecessarily complicated, and on our first night, a very loud party went on until 2 a.m., making it hard to sleep. Great facilities and breakfast, but the colonial theme and late-night noise spoiled the experience.

I do not like that there were black spots in the shower, looking like mold. I do not like that the usb ports in the beds did not work. The elevetors sometimes never came when pressing the button which forced us to walk the stairs. The room was clean in general, and the beds were comfortable enough. Nothing was smelly. Doors opened easily with the cards. The lobby felt spacious and like a welcoming place to meet new friends. Guards and staff were friendly and very helpful. Even the cleaner saw us confused at one point and helped us find our way.

The location is perfect — easy to reach and close to everything I needed. A special thanks to Dibin for his outstanding support and hospitality. He went above and beyond to make the stay pleasant and hassle-free. His friendly nature and helpful attitude made a big difference — truly a great representative of the hostel team! Highly recommend a&o Hostel for anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly stay. Will definitely choose it again in the future! 🌟

This is best example of a Hostel that I know, centrally located, the breakfast area efficient and plentiful, lots of young people and family enjoying a vacation. The single room I had was quiet, well priced and functionally appointed, no fluff just what you need to be, great view from 7th floor, clean bathroom/ shower, simple bed with linen, space to hang you business suit and restful.

Had a good experience at a&o hauptbanhof. First time staying in a hostel and it fully exceeded my expectation. I will definitely consider coming back here again in the future. Check in and out was very smooth. And Adham was very friendly and gave great travel advice

Dilim or Idim or the guy who was in the front desk was super nice. Give him two more days of vacation and a raise. He deserves it. He was organized, fast, and friendly. There was a lot of noise in the room all the time therefore only four stars for the room. Good place and a nice stay.

Rooms basic but certainly acceptable. Did early online check in with the promise of a digital door key and a speedy check in process. It was anything but. I was laughed at when I asked about the digital door key, and I was initially told to do the whole process of checking in again. I refused and eventually someone realised that I had already done this. The whole thing took about 20 minutes, plus 15 minutes attempting to use the rubbish app earlier in the day. I was also not given a receipt for a drink, which I insisted on. It took a while hour to get this receipt. The location is not too far from the main station but navigating road works to get to the accommodation was interesting. No prior warning or how to get around this. The reception area has 2 security guards, which perhaps gives an idea of what this place is like. I won't be going back, regardless of whether it is cheaper than other places in the area.

Great value for the price. There's a guest kitchen, although rudimentary, there's a kettle, cooktop, and microwave, one pot, a pan and just enough cutlery, cups and bowls if only one or two people want to use it. But this helps to reduce costs further. Very busy, even during the week, pricing skyrockets on the weekend though. Good beds, but it's a lottery if you get the lower bunk or not.

Prize by Radisson, Hamburg City is a modern and affordable hotel with stylish designer rooms and a trendy cocktail bar. The hotel features futuristic designs by Egyptian designer Karim Rashid, offering spacious beds, luxurious sheets, deluxe floor-to-ceiling showers, and underfloor heating. Despite some ongoing construction in front of the hotel causing confusion for taxi drivers and noise for some guests, the rooms facing the parking courtyard provide a quieter experience.
It is walking distance from the centre. The room was clean and a good size. Especially for the price. The staff where super friendly. Breakfast was good but a bit pricey. Plus we could check in super early, which was a bonus. Parking was also super easy and a good price for the area.

Great location! Good and very helpful staff. Don’t listen to all the negative reviews. I stayed there for 5 days. Staff was courteous and very helpful. Being an Indian, I had no idea about German but they were kind and patient and helped me navigating my DHL parcel in best way possible. 24/7 coffee machine is a big plus and breakfast though repetitive is quite lavish. Definitely recommended especially for solo travellers.

A good hotel just about 1 KM from the central station. Great place to stay. Breakfast is superb. Availability of free hot beverages 24 hrs a day is great. Aldo a self service shop for cold beverages and snacks.
Neelakantan G — Google review
Cozy hotel near the centre of Hamburg and Speicherstadt. The design and colors look interesting, but otherwise the room wasn't very good. The carpets were very dirty, there was a weird (mold like) smell and the AC didn't really heat up the room, even though it was set to the highest temperature, there is pretty much no wardrobe to store your clothes except for a tiny table below the window with one chair (in a 2 bed room) but at least the bed sheets and blankets were clean. There weren't any complimentary things (like hygiene amenities) except for bottled soap, and towels. The breakfasts were insanely expensive and average when it came to food options. There was a free coffee machine in the dining area which offered nice selection of tasty drinks, at least when it worked which wasn't always the case. Overall a decent hotel for its price, but don't expect any miracles.

We travelled with our dog and we absolutely understand that a hotel has special room for dog families. But please rethink about the place of those rooms. Next to the elevator and above the entrance is a bad place. A loud place makes the best dog barking. The checking: personnel was really unfriendly and not a welcoming person. After all one shower the shower gel was empty. The room service does not speak German nor English.
Georg L — Google review
The hotel was very comfortable. The room size, the spacious bathroom, and the quality of the amenities were all excellent. The complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby were a delightful bonus for us. Overall, Prize Hotel made us very happy — thank you! The only downside was the roadwork around the hotel. It wasn’t noisy, but it did make access and walking around the area a bit inconvenient. In one part of the area, there was also a sewage smell — possibly due to the construction or some ongoing maintenance.
Kenan A — Google review
We stayed for 3 days in this hotel. The rooms were adequate. Distance from the main station was at least 25 minutes. However, the main attraction is/are the staff. They were very helpful, understanding, problem solving and kind. Salima, Max very accommodating specially NIKTA with her beaming smile and soft voice did everything to make our stay pleasant. For these reasons I'll stay here again.
Faramarz M — Google review
Very unprofessional front desk behavior. During check-in, the front desk staff member (left side) was rude and made strange comments. Later, when I asked for a second key card for my husband, he decided to “play a game” of giving and taking it back, as if mocking me. Such behavior is completely unacceptable for a hotel and absolutely unprofessional. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had, and I cannot understand why this person is still employed here.

The Grand Elysée Hotel in Hamburg is a luxurious retreat that perfectly blends comfort and elegance. Guests can unwind in spacious, soundproofed rooms adorned with contemporary decor designed for ultimate relaxation. The hotel's impressive lobby features four exquisite dining options alongside a chic bar and the stylish Boulevard Cafe.
Very luxurious and elegant hotel. The rooms are super comfy and the service is very professional. The hotel is surrounded by an amazing park and well connected too. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. Also the breakfast is very good.

The rooms are slightly outdated and a little bit musty. But the air conditioning works. The beds are a little bit hard. But the service is absolutely fantastic. The breakfast is fantastic. The spa and pool fantastic. I think it’s worth it overall. Hamburger is quite a surprisingly beautiful city and this is in a lovely university area close to the museums. I would definitely return with my family.

A very classic property, well-maintained. Our room overlooked the central courtyard, and it was ideal: very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast had a good variety; even though it was always busy, the staff managed the crowds well. What could be improved? The room temperature in our room could have been colder; the temperature control was quite old, which made it hard to adjust accurately. Overall, a perfect stay.

A big 5 stars hotel, its location is just perfect! Near by a train station, the big lake, the best green and flower parks in the city, great options for restaurants and it’s located about 15-20 minutes walking distance from the city center. They have a nice rooftop with a beautiful panoramic views, just a pity the rooftop closes early around 10pm. Breakfast was nice and convenient with a good variety of foods. The hotel bar at night was a bit of a disappointment as the bar team were very unprofessional and they have a good indoors swimming pool, a spa and fitness club. Room are comfortable and very a clean.

Very beautiful Hotel! Loved it. I just don’t think the AC was working in room 548.. also the location? I’m not sure if it’s just Hamburg Germany , but there’s not much to eat late at night opened for snacks & couldn’t go in the hotel anywhere to buy snacks neither after a certain time. So that’s a bummer. Breakfast was alright , I was hoping they had syrup but they didn’t :(

Nice clean hotel with a traditional (old) feel about it. Great pool open 7 to 10 and reasonable gym open 24/7. No iron available in room, need to go to central roning room. A little pricey for what you get. Good location near station and short walk to lake, restaurants and other attractions. Under ground parking.

East Hotel Hamburg is a trendy urban oasis nestled in the vibrant city of Hamburg. The hotel offers striking rooms, suites, and apartments with sleek contemporary design. Guests can indulge in ultimate relaxation and wellness at the East Spa, a serene sanctuary dedicated to revitalizing the mind, body, and soul. The hotel also features an European/Asian restaurant, three bars for socializing or unwinding, and a beautiful courtyard for guests to enjoy.
Amazing service. The personnel made everything even better. Rooms are clean and unique styled. We LOVED our stay.

Conveniently located in the heart of Hamburg, this is a premier hotel. The staff provides exceptional service. As a cashless establishment, it offers electric vehicle charging. While the bar boasts a modern design, it is pricey. The rooms are impeccably clean; however, given the room rate, the absence of a Nespresso coffee maker and bathrobes is noteworthy. Furthermore, the open-concept design lacks a distinct separation between the sleeping and bathroom areas.
A — Google review
I’ve stayed at East Hotel Hamburg twice this year: the first time in May, which was wonderful. I loved the ambiance, the design, and especially the room with the large bathtub. Because of that great experience, I decided to book again in October through Navan (Expedia PartnerCentral) for a work trip, specifically selecting and paying for the Aqua Room. However, upon arrival, I was given a completely different room without the features of the category I had booked. When I showed my confirmed reservation, which explicitly stated Aqua Room, the front desk informed me that the error had come from the booking partner and their system that there was nothing they could do unless I paid an additional €35 to get the room I had already booked. After a long day of travel, I reluctantly paid the extra fee, even though the mistake was clearly between the hotel and the partner, not mine. Since I had other work-related plans and didn’t want to waste more time at the reception, I decided to resolve the matter with the hotel later. What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled afterward. Despite acknowledging that the issue came from their booking partner, management refused to refund the €35 and advised me to take it up with the external provider myself. This raises a serious question: how can any guest trust the hotel’s booking and notification system if, upon arrival, they can simply claim an error occurred and downgrade your room —> even when your company has already paid for a higher category? For a hotel of this standard, I expected a much more professional and guest-focused resolution. It’s a beautiful property, but the lack of accountability and poor handling of this issue left a lasting negative impression. I travel to Hamburg several times a year for work, but I’ll be looking for a better alternative in the future.

Our last experience was perfect so we came back but this time there were several issues with our room. Shower drain knob was broken. Shower head was clogged. Loud music going until at least 1am from the bar/courtyard could easily be heard through the walls. Televisions desperately need to be upgraded for use with Netflix and other apps (our only issue last time). And finally, we had a huge amount of luggage and were offered no assistance getting to our room which had several sets of stairs from the elevator. On positive, the staff was friendly and the food was amazing. We’ll be back, but will be a bit more skeptical of our room quality next time.
Ryan F — Google review
There was a party at the hotel one of the nights and my room was in front of the terrace, it was so noisy that I had to close the windows, hence I could not sleep until very late not only because of the noise but also due to the temperature on the room as it was too hot. I'd have appreciated to be warned when I checked in and give the possibility of changing the room due to the party.

Crowne Plaza Hamburg - City Alster, an IHG Hotel offers casual rooms and suites in a polished business setting with two high-end restaurants. Situated in a bustling shopping area of Hamburg, the hotel is conveniently located around a 10-minute drive from Miniatur Wunderland. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a solarium, terrace, and shared lounge during their stay. The hotel has received praise for its wonderful staff who are quick to accommodate requests and resolve issues promptly.
The street where the hotel is located is beautiful, and the location is quite good—close to bus stops. Cleanliness throughout the hotel is excellent, and the breakfast menu is rich and varied. The rooms are well-equipped with thoughtful details, and the gym is sufficient. The staff is incredibly friendly. The only downside is the long wait for elevators during breakfast hours. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay! But the hotel parking is quite expensive, and there is no all-day parking available on the street.

Excellent check-in. The staff are courteous and helpful. The rooms are very good, and the location is fine. The breakfast was great with many buffet options... eggs, meats, cheese, nice selection of breads, coffees, juices, and fruits, and even salad and dessert. Loved it. So far we've had a nice stay at the Crowne Plaza, and I'd likely return next trip to Hamburg

2 night stay in Hamburg on a road trip to Denmark. Hotel is very modern, clean, and comfortable. Was recognized as for IHG member status and provided room upgrade. Rooms have small fridge for use. Breakfast is a large buffet with plenty of options, including omlette bar and warm food and prosecco! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking available on site (with fee) and gym/sauna also available, but did not use. Public transit into Hamburg city center is about a 5-10 min walk to the subway or bus station (and about 15-20 min ride to city center or waterfront).

Good location and nice staff. Would recommend for families, but you should reserve an extra bed before arrival. They could only provide a crib for our four-year-old, which was too small.
Simge D — Google review
We had high hopes for our stay, but unfortunately, several issues impacted our comfort. The shower was leaky and water went everywhere in the bathroom, there was no minibar in the room (despite it saying that there was), and we had to call multiple times about the black-out curtains—which were never fixed. They kept telling us someone would come but after the first person who couldn’t fix it, no one else showed. As a result, the large glowing “Fraser Suites” sign from across the canal kept us up at night. The room was also uncomfortably hot, with no way to control the temperature, and there were no USB charging ports available, which felt outdated for a hotel in this class. On the positive side, the room was super clean, otherwise nice, staff were kind and courteous throughout our stay. The concierge service was friendly, although not always very helpful—we were repeatedly told “Landungsbrücke 1” when asking about harbor rides, without clear directions on how to get there. That said, we appreciated being able to stow our luggage before check-in and have it delivered to us later, and when we needed extra towels and tissues, they arrived promptly. Overall, while the staff was lovely and eager to help, the lack of follow-through on the curtain issue made for a less-than-relaxing experience. We were compensated with chocolate and drinks to go at checkout for our inconvenience. I would’ve preferred a discount since we didn’t get much sleep. A redeeming factor was definitely the complimentary breakfast. That was absolutely fabulous!

This is a beautiful hotel and a wonderful location… Is walking distance from a few different shops and restaurants. i heard really good things about a nearby Indian cuisine, but I digress the room was neat comfortable and the staff was very responsive. In fact I had a situation where I ran out of soap and upon letting the front desk know, they immediately sent some bottles up to me and also refilling my shower gel the following day the sauna here was another notable amenity that I would run back to on my next day. I will definitely recommend.

We arrived with our child in the evening. The hotel advertises valet parking, but when we got there, they told us that the person responsible had already left. We drove to the hotel’s parking, but it was completely full. We had to return to the reception, where a huge line was waiting we spent 25 minutes there with a tired child after a 7-hour trip. Finally, they gave us the address of a city parking lot 10 minutes away from the hotel. Five stars, really? In the evening another surprise awaited us: we were exhausted and hungry, but the hotel restaurant requires a reservation just to eat. The room had an empty fridge (only water inside), the shower pressure was extremely weak basically impossible to take a normal shower. To connect to Wi-Fi, you need to go through a registration process why such unnecessary complications in the 21st century? And every time you want to ask something, you have to wait in a long queue… Clearly, there is not enough staff. Definitely not the level of service you would expect from a 5-star hotel.
Drunk G — Google review
Have just been informed by the front desk at 18.00 the only bar and restaurant is closed for our entire stay. This is a supposed to be a 5 Star hotel. We will NEVER stay in any of the hotels again . Unfortunately you have to rate 1 star 🌟

We had a bad experience in the hotel and our AC was not working and we had to sleep in a room like a sauna and the cleaning staff are not great and doesn’t clean well and at the end of our after all what we have suffered because of the AC they charged us 150€ for extra cleaning although nothing was damaged at all!!!! We had two rooms and we stayed with our kids and both rooms the AC weren’t working. I don’t recommend it and I won’t stay again in it

We booked this hotel for a few days as we vacationed in hamburg and these are my only critiques: First, even though the rooms were beautiful and the location of the hotel is 5 mins away from hamburg center, which is perfect, I'm sorry to say that the staff weren't the most helpful when it came to bestowing our luggages into and out of our car. As someone with plenty of luggage since i was traveling with my family, it was very difficult to carry all of them from the car into the rooms and from rooms into the car. All they did was put our luggages outside the hotel door when we checked out but turned a blind eye when it came to helping us put the bags in the car. We were the ones to carry 8+ big luggages into our car all because they weren't around to help. Keep in mind that we tried to call the reception from our room multiple times and got no answer for when we wanted someone to help us carry the bags from the 6th floor to the reception. Second, speaking of rooms, I also had the issue of one of the staff members barging in our room during our first day as a means to clean the room while we were sleeping. She knocked once and without bothering to hear a reply back she immediately opened the door. What kind of privacy is this! When it came to room service, cleaning wasn't the very best. I'd come back from the day to only find the bed being made not even in a good way and no tissues being replaced in the bathroom. Usually in hotels this great, the toiletries are replaced every day or every time you use one, but it hasn't been replaced in our time being there. It only deserves the rating for its location.
Noor A — Google review
I booked a room with two single beds on Booking.com and even confirmed it in writing with the hotel before arrival. Despite this, I was given a double bed. The staff at the reception were rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional, repeating only that “nothing could be done.” As a so-called “solution,” they promised to provide separate sheets for the double bed. We never received those either. This is a clear case of a hotel not delivering what was booked and paid for, while treating guests with zero respect. Absolutely unacceptable – 1 star is already too much

The hotel itself is very nice, modern, and well-maintained. The room was clean and comfortable, with a super comfortable bed. With the windows closed, there was no noise from the street. Tasty and varied breakfasts, with plenty of tables to choose from. Friendly staff. I absolutely recommend this place!

The room was clean. Comfy bed. Didn't like the lightings. Too much light in the bathroom and no way to dim them down or turn couple off them off. Also TV's chromecast wasn't working and it didn't have any streaming option for us to log in ourselves. No English channel except a couple news channels. No guest slippers. I can't remember exactly but I guess the room didn't have a safe! It term of technology they did not have much to offer. The location is good. Many bars and restaurants around and close to bus and train station. All in all, compared to other B&Bs that I have stayed in so far, Holiday Inn is just "okay".

Stayed here 2 nights for a business trip. A nice 25 min walk from the Central Station. The staff was really nice and the bar staff went above and beyond when I ordered a bowl of soup to go, it came covered in a tray and he carried it to the elevator and pressed my floor so I didn't risk spilling it. I didn't have breakfast and the room had a capsule machine but no kettle. No mini fridge either. Otherwise it was a really great stay and I am looking forward to staying here again. I walked to different restaurants in the area. There is a ton of shopping, groceries, movie theater at the Westfield Mall just a 5 min walk from the hotel.

THE MADISON Hotel Hamburg is a contemporary 4-star hotel located in the heart of Hamburg, between the city center and the harbor. It offers 166 rooms with views of the pool, ranging from studios to penthouses, all equipped with kitchenettes and spacious baths. The hotel features an international eatery called Marleys Restaurant, a cozy bar for relaxation, and an indoor pool and spa for ultimate comfort. Its central location allows easy access to popular attractions and shopping districts in Hamburg.
The hotel is excellent, clean, modern, there is attention to every detail, there are many details with added value that I have not encountered in any other hotel. All these things together create a unique feeling in the hotel. For example, when moving from the hotel to the spa, which is on the ground floor, everything is clean and decorated and the transition is pleasant. In the room I found a lighted magnifying mirror, an Alexa device, an amplifier with speakers for music, a small and useful kitchenette, a convenient and interesting water tap in the shower. Excellent curtains for blocking the light in the morning. Of course, the hotel is in a very central location, the breakfast is also varied like the hotel, and you can find everything there, lots of types of cheese, cold cuts, juices, breads and more, and the coffee? The coffee is excellent, delicious and kept me going all day. Keep it up exactly like that, I felt at home

We were a group of four staying in a two- bedroom suite. I must admit that although the hotel had high ratings, I was initially a bit skeptical — the room didn’t appear particularly modern in the photos. However, after our stay, I can confidently say this is an excellent hotel. The suite was exceptionally clean and looked much better than in photos — almost brand new. The bathroom and shower were spotless, and the blankets were very comfortable, although the mattresses were a bit on the soft side. The cocktails at the bar were crafted with great care, tasted excellent, and were reasonably priced. Small thoughtful touches, such as high-quality candies and snacks, along with the hotel staff’s warm and attentive service, contributed to a wonderful experience and fully justify the hotel’s high ratings.

I have stayed at many different hotels in Hamburg (4 stars and up) over the years and this was without a doubt the one with the best service. When I arrived with my dog, I was immediately greeted by a receptionist who was enough personal to give the impression that I as a guest was important and warmly welcome. He even took the time to come out from behind the counter and greet my dog, at great canine appreciation. The same quiet and efficient service was offered during the very good breakfast in the restaurant. There was outdoor seating just next to the street, which made it possible to also bring my dog without disturbing any guests inside. The room, like the hotel, was elegantly furnished and expertly lit. The windows did open, so a good night's sleep was not a problem in the large and firm beds. The bathroom was large, equally elegant and clean. The room was also provided with dog treats, pet bowls and a huge cushion intended for my tail-wagging friend. For those travelling with a dog, and also those who wish to stay at a classy hotel with warm and great guest service, I warmly recommend The Madison.

Executive room was booked. It was clean, good equipped, wi-fi and minibar included. The hotel guest can access to the gym and Spa for free from 6.00 am to 12.00, it was very nice to relax. The breakfast was super, but little expensive. I will recommend this Hotel.

Great Hotel. Delicious food and great bar. Rooms are scrupulously clean and very comfortable. Location is perfect for visiting Hamburg. We hired bikes from the hotel which made sightseeing much easier. Excellent choice.

Stayed here for 5 days. I can't speak for the price, as I was here for business, but everything was great. Room are clean, quiet, and large enough. The location is central and close to almost everything. You have access to next-door fitness and spa until noon. Amazing gym! Plus they give free appel and candy in the loby.

Beautiful place and a perfect location. Not on a busy street and yet close to so many things. The only downside is the breakfast- it’s ridiculously expensive. So just cross the street to the lovely Amber café.

Exemplary hotel. Spacious rooms, ok price, great location, good service. Very happy. Cool little outdoors seating with very friendly bar staff.

NH Hamburg Horner Rennbahn is a reliable and elegant hotel offering a relaxed stay with picturesque views of the nearby racecourse. The traditional furnishings add to its charm, and its proximity to the Horner Rennbahn racetrack makes it an ideal choice for horse racing enthusiasts. Additionally, the hotel's convenient location allows easy access to the city center for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Great Stay, Would Definitely Return! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were consistently courteous and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was clean, well-furnished, and quite comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a long day. Thanks a lot to sir DAG from the reception !

The service was excellent. Especially the receptionist Mr. Birol was really friendly and helpful. During my accommodation of five days, I didn't have a singular problem with the service. There were no availability issues. On top of that, the location is safe and the rooms were clean and had more than enough space. The food was amazing and diverse as well. It was suitable for every preference. The location is good for transportation. It was a perfect experience.

I stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel in general feels a bit aged, a renovation is needed (rooms and sauna, especially). I also wish the restaurant menu was a bit more diverse. Then the internet connection is very, very slow. Lastly, the key cards keep deactivating themselves over and over again. Those are the bad things. Now, on the bright side of the story, their staff is so cool! Helen, Javier, Fabian, Asena, in particular, were very kind and friendly and always willing to help and support however I needed.

Excellent service and very professional team members. Especially at the front desk. Super friendly and always helpful. This is my second visit at the hotel. I would highly recommend it to everyone how visit Hamburg. Easy to get to harbour and Landungsbrücken.

False information given by reception, also asked me pay extra for city tax, which was completely false. Locked my room three times for unable to pay tax or whatever but at the end I was able to defend myself. But reception staff was pain in the ass...

We had a great stay och experience from the moment we checked in to the last good bye at departure! The calm surrounding, comfortable beds and cool room offered the best sleep we had by far during our 10-day European trip! Fabian especially was super helpful with several matters, not least when he and the chef went the extra mile to ensure a suitable dinner option for our 10-year old daughter’s food restriction (celiaki). My husbad loved the gym & sauna area and, the big breakfast offered had many nice options. We will happily return again when in Hamburg!

The hotel is fantastic — spacious rooms, nice views of the gardens nearby, and a location that is safe, walkable, and convenient. Breakfast is abundant, with something for everyone. Overall, it’s hard to fault the property itself. That said, I want to share a personal experience that stood out during my stay. I booked three nights with my family, and the first two days were flawless. Every staff member we met was friendly, and the front desk team in particular went above and beyond to help us. However, the day before departure, I approached one of the younger receptionists with a simple request: since I would be leaving before breakfast (which I had already paid for), could I arrange for an early breakfast box? His response was brusque and dismissive — repeatedly saying, “It’s too late, I can’t do anything” — without even attempting to explore alternatives. When I suggested possible solutions, he cut me off and insisted there was nothing he could do. A polite “I’m sorry, it’s not possible” would have been enough, but his tone came across as unprofessional. Later that evening, I asked another receptionist about the same request. This staff member was calm, attentive, and immediately began looking for solutions, and asked me who had I previously talked to. When I identified the colleague who had refused me earlier, the first receptionist became defensive, sarcastic, and even raised his voice in front of me, his coworkers, and other guests — which was both embarrassing and unnecessary. Thankfully, the professional receptionist reassured me he would speak to the baker and prepare something regardless. At 5:50 AM the next morning, I received a call letting me know my breakfast boxes were ready. They were neatly packed, generous, and exactly what I needed. The staff member even apologized for his colleague’s earlier behavior and encouraged me to share my experience in a review. In the end, I cannot give this hotel less than 5 stars. One individual’s poor attitude should not overshadow the hard work and professionalism of the rest of the team. The rooms, amenities, service (in most cases), and overall atmosphere make this a truly excellent hotel. To the kind and attentive staff who resolved my issue — thank you for turning a negative moment into a positive memory.

A wonderful hotel. The NH chain truly offers amazing experience at affordable prices! For a 4 star hotel, the view is great, breakfast was amazing, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Staff is friendly and nice. One of the employees helped me with an issue that I had with my travel agency in a matter of minutes, I was impressed by their professionalism. Most speak English very well, a few exceptions for some waitresses and cleaning staff, but no big issue. Breakfast is amazing, tasty food, plenty of choice, drinks, coffee and Choco milk, truly anything you can think of (even beets and fischsalat!) Rooms are fair, clean, and are all the same size, so you can't complain. I would've preferred some space, but, it's a double room with an extra bed, unfortunately this was a problem on my end, the staff apologised and was very professional about this issue. The spa and wellness is amazing. Fitness room is a little small, but functional. The sauna is relatively big and comfy, steam room with comfy seats and big showers and pediluvio (footbath), a great spa overall. Expect premium service, amazing meals, great views, clean rooms, and a wonderful stay at NH Horner Rennbahn. The station Is just a few minutes away with a bus or a short walk. Public transport is easily accessible, and they event rent bikes here.

Hotel Volksschule is a unique and comfortable accommodation located in a former 19th-century school building that has been completely renovated with industrial accents. The chic, modern rooms are spacious and attractive, offering guests a comfortable stay. The hotel provides a complimentary buffet breakfast with late serving times until 11 am. Its convenient location allows easy access to major city attractions either on foot or by using the nearby U-bahn.
Lovely hotel! we stayed in a very quiet and warm room, extremely clean and cozy. The breakfast was outstanding! Free parking and easy connections to the city with public transport and even by biking. We would definitely comeback another time! Also thank you for helping me with my warm bottle every night! Even when it was very late :) Maybe next time we would like a proper queen bed instead of two double beds put together because they would always open apart during the night.

Lovely hotel with an interesting background. Room and bathroom very nice, modern and clean. The breakfast was a buffet with a great selection. Unfortunately, there was inadequate ventilation, so our clothes smelled of food for the rest of the day. Something should be done about that! Subway is 4 minutes from the hotel and will bring you to the city center in 7 minutes

I recently stayed at Hotel Volkschule in Hamburg and had an overall positive experience. The hotel is located in a great spot, well-connected to the U2 underground and the A24 Autobahn, making it easy to get around. There's also a giant parking lot with free parking, which was super convenient. The room was surprisingly spacious for a city hotel, and it was very clean. The bathroom was modern and really top-notch. However, the view wasn’t much to speak of, since the windows were almost underground, looking up at the street. One downside was the noise—since the hotel is apparently in a flight path, you can definitely hear the aircraft engines at times. A bit more soundproofing would have made a big difference. The staff were fantastic—super helpful and responsive, easily one of the highlights of the stay. Breakfast was mixed for me. The food quality was solid but nothing extraordinary. The experience was somewhat spoiled by a lot of loud guests, seemingly groups of business travelers making it feel more chaotic than cozy. A couple of small things would have improved the experience, like a coffee maker or water boiler in the room. Still, with its good location, reasonable prices, and excellent service, I would recommend Hotel Volkschule, especially if you're looking for a well-connected, comfortable stay in Hamburg.

This was our final hotel this trip. I wanted something nice and boy did I find it! The hotel is located in an old volks school building, with beautiful thick walls and high ceilings. There is a well lit private parking space directly in front of the receiption desk. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. Well cleaned and complete with minibar and big TV. The bathroom has a very nice shower, washable and toilet in one room. There is no dinner available in the hotel but there are plenty of options in the same street. I'd recommend schweineke, it's burgers and schnitzel and about 400 meters walk. They do have breakfast. And the breakfast was very good. Plenty of options and something for everyone. Good coffee and plenty of beverages like juice and milk. The average guests were well behaved slightly older people, I guess the average age at the breakfast was about 50. Which is, to me, a very nice thing and adds up to the luxurious experience. I will definitely come back here if I'm ever going to need a hotel for a night or two. 5/5

Very great hotel, the rooms are very nice and clean, the beds are ok and nothing fancy(im kind of a picky sleeper 😅), but i guess its a one size fits all. But i still got a good nights sleep the whole stay. The bathroom is very nice, and clean and comes with the basics you’d expect at a good hotel. The breakfast options are very good and i can say that it has everything for everyone. The staff here are very nice and always greet you with a smile. And the hotel is not too far away from the U-bahn and i’d reccomend using that as the hotel offers parking. Overall id say its a very nice hotel and it has alot of good amenities. 😁👍

The best hotel we've been in Hamburg so far. The place is a old school turned into an hotel. The decorations are based in the history of the building and you can see all around reminiscence of its previous function. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel has a private parking where your car can be safely parked for the night without additional fees. The breakfast was also delicious.

Courtyard by Marriott Hamburg City is a modern hotel in the heart of Hamburg. It features a restaurant, fitness centre, bar and shared lounge. Everything about this hotel was great!. The staff were kind, the rooms were clean and the location was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.
The Courtyard by Marriott hotel was conveniently located a short walk from the train station. Our rooms were clean and well-maintained. The service desk provided assistance that was efficient and to the point, consistent with typical German expectations, so those anticipating effusive smiles or extensive extra helpfulness might adjust their expectations. A useful note for future guests: there is a pleasant sauna available, though its operating hours are limited to between 6 PM and 10 PM. A breakfast buffet was offered for 28 euros per person. Overall, I was pleased with my stay.

The hotel looks great and modern, probably being quite newly built. Rooms are spacious, having everything necessary for an easy accommodation. Services are good, including the hotel’s restaurant located at ground floor. Breakfast is good too with many options. The only negative aspect I found is the neighborhood in which hotel is. Although the streets and buildings looks in good shape and well maintained, I was negatively surprised about the many homeless around. Drunk and cracked people, or gathered in groups without doing something except smoking joints and drinking. Not something you want to see around you.

The other guests are all very smart. The receptionist was really helpful. Loved the flavoured water at checkout. Rooms quite basic. Sofa bed for kids is double. Quite a rough area but very busy so we didn't feel unsafe. Takes about 45 minutes to walk to the port but near centre and train station. Small gym.

‼️ We spent one night in a twin-bedded room. ‼️ ✅️ Positive points: 1. Friendly and respectful staff. 2. Nice and clean room. 3. Close to the city centre. 4. Quiet room. 5. The bathroom was well-equipped, with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and even body lotion. 🟥 Negative points: 1. The mattress was not very comfortable. 2. There was no coffee maker, only a basic electric kettle. 🟨 Additional note: The hotel is close to an Arab neighbourhood, which can be either a positive or negative aspect depending on your personal preferences. Hope you enjoy your trip! 😊

Rooms and hotel were nice. Can’t complain there. But they really need to train their staff. I understand the hotel Industry isn’t the most attractive for hiring but they really need to invest in some training. They couldn’t find my booking regardless of what I said or tried to help. So I said I will come back in a few hours (I was told they would have everything ready) when I returned the new team on desk still couldn’t find my booking. When ordering drinks at the bar, after ordering relatively expensive alcohol, to be giving water glasses instead of natural tumbles, was a surprise. But I could see the service wasn’t trained either so I let it be. All in all a good stay, just a little frustrating with the staff.

A nice, clean, and modern hotel. Spacious rooms, complete amenities, good wifi in all hotel areas, and strategic location. The night shift service is super nice and attentive. Especially Nele and Francisco are incredibly warm and friendly. Thomas from the day shift is also very kind and does a great job. That said, I do need to raise some criticism about one of the receptionists — her name is Zlata (or something similar). She comes across as rather arrogant, often acts as if she doesn’t understand what you want, and makes that noticeable. Her behavior doesn’t feel customer-oriented and stands out as quite arrogant, especially compared to the other service staff. Overall, it’s a cool hotel.

I had a pleasant stay, the staff were very friendly at check in and out, and the overall experience was good. I enjoyed the spacious rooms with loads of storage space. The location was nice, central but quiet, however the area between the hotel and the central station is a bit iffy. The only hiccups were some dirty walls, and when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night (not blaming the hotel for this part, of course), there was no communication from staff to guests about what was happening, if there was any real danger, or anything at all really. Even though I understand german, for any non-fluent German speakers, it was very difficult to understand what was happening. The lack of communication made a scary situation even scarier, and could definitely be improved upon! Altogether still a pleasant stay though:)

This relaxing hotel in Hamburg features modern apartments with full kitchens and an indoor pool. It also has a restaurant, fitness centre, bar and shared lounge. Guests can enjoy the on-site spa and wellness centre which includes an indoor pool and sauna. There is private parking available on site.
Our stay at Adina Apartment Hotel Hamburg Speicherstadt was really great! The hotel is very clean, with rooms serviced every three days. The location is excellent – close to the city center, restaurants, and shops. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and very pleasant bedding. There’s also a sofa, TV, and a fully equipped kitchenette – it had everything we needed. A big plus for the washer-dryer and the oven with a microwave function. The hotel also offers a pool, a small gym, and a sauna – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff were very friendly, and the bartender was absolutely lovely 😊 The only downside was that the water in the pool was quite cold. Another small minus – instead of a regular door, there was a sliding mirror door, and the small gap between the mirror and the wall felt a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was top-notch – we’d happily stay here again! 🌟

I was there on business for a few weeks, so the washing machine was fabulous to have in the apartment. The staff were excellent and all spoke perfect English. The location is excellent too, with many restaurants and bars all within walking distance. There's lots to see and do in Hamburg and when I return will be booking with them again.

This hotel was conveniently located and easy to get around to the sights. The staff was always nice even when they didn’t have things quite together , for example no slippers accessible for the pool/sauna which was inconvenient having to go back down … but they were so nice it was ok. We got the bigger room and it was so spacious and nice to spread out . The bed was so so comfortable we slept in both mornings ! My only real complaint was that parking was $40 a day and breakfast was not included.

Used the hotel while participating in IM Hamburg. Ideal location 5 mins walk to the race and lake area. Hotel staff were brilliant and let us have bikes in room. They all spoke English which was great as our German is less than 10-15 words/phrases. Breakfast has a great selection of hot and cold items, plus so many drink options. We took advantage of the apartment kitchen which is small but useable and they give you dishwasher and washing machine detergent. We used a one bed apartment with the pull out sofa. The only bathroom is off the bedroom which is slight niggle when it’s adults sharing with kids but nothing silly. Good blackout curtains and air con. Decent enough space for 2 adults and 1 child/2 children. We were on top floor on main road side and it wasn’t noisy at all except the odd sirens. TV would recommend to bring a cable to link to device if you don’t speak German. Complimentary WiFi was largely good with no issues though for device streaming. Location is near many local transport options and they have parking. Hotel pool is chilly but indoor and next to a gym and sauna. This hotel was exactly what we needed and I would highly recommend based on our experience.

We stayed for three nights. The rooms are simple, on the small side but clean. Service was somewhat mixed. Check-in was very nice but some of the desk staff were fairly grumpy. We didn’t book breakfast, so I can’t say anything about that. The hotel is located in a somewhat residential district. It is quiet and well connected (S-Bahn, Subway). Main sights of Hamburg are about a 30 Min trip. Price was fair. Generally recommended for a short city trip.
Chris S — Google review
A tiny bit disappointed with this stay. Overall there were no major issues with the hotel, the staff were fine, the hotel is easy enough to get to by U-Bahn or S-Bahn. Unfortunately it was some smaller things that let the stay down. The room was not the cleanest, with a rather obvious stain on the carpet. Despite being very nearly empty the body wash dispenser in the shower had not been refilled before my stay. Also, the lighting in the room was incredibly dim with the main lights being too dim, neither of the bedside lights working, and the bathroom light would occasionally just start flickering badly during use. Overall it was an acceptable stay but given the price of a 2 night stay here, in a not that central location I was somewhat underwhelmed.
Edward M — Google review
The receptionist wasnt the most pleasant when we arrived, which got our stay off to a bad start. The rooms were fine and the hotel is located in a good area, which is not too far from the train station and supermarkets like Aldi, Lidle ect. Only issue was the Internet that wasnt working through our whole stay. We asked the receptionist if this will be fixed and she said "A technician is working on it". Basically there was no Internet at all throughout the whole stay. If the receptionist knew this from the start, why not just mention it to us when we checked in? These things happen and it would of been good to know this instead of expecting it to be repaired which it wasnt. On that note. One of our family members booked a room + premium Internet which is more expensive. They did not agree to refund the costs for the internet that wasnt provided.

It’s next to the S-Bahn and U-Bahn so perfect to visit Hamburg by public transport, also great location for those who arrive by train (and Hamburg is very international connected). For me as someone who doesn’t fly because of environmental reasons, I might be back here as an alternative to the sleeper trains or ferries to Scandinavia. It’s located out of the city centre, and this is also what you pay for but with this great public transport options the location doesn’t matter.
Jonne K — Google review
Worst place I ever went. Bullshit reception. I ordered and got a room confirmation by booking but it did not show in the ibis database. I get that but waiting 2 hours for that... I can even understand this, but what kind of bullshit is it to tell me that "I don't let u book another room even if you pay directly here and have no refund of the other one through booking, because I don't like u on a personal level, because due to your phone call with booking I need to fight with them about your case, oh an you did not call when u booked through booking" He did literally talk with the other guy on booking for 3 minutes behind my back and just said that the system is not receiving it and we have to wait, where is the "fight". The call to booking was also just to speed up the process so that the order of booking is showing up in their system. Afterwards we went away at 0:00 to another hotel. Worst experience ever

We booked via hotels.com, and the room was listed as a four-person room, with the possibility of an extra bed. We then paid extra for an extra person. When we arrived there were only four beds, and not enough beds for everyone. We called the service phone and got to speak to a person. He informed that they had no information about us having an extra bed and that he could not fix it. We asked if there were rooms available, and if we could get one as compensation. He confirmed that there were rooms available, but that we could not get a room as compensation. He blamed hotels.com and was generally rude and unhelpful. When we then asked what we should do, and that we thought that getting an extra room as compensation was not too much to ask, he just hung up and ended the conversation. We ended up canceling via hotels.com, and finding another hotel with room for everyone. The room itself looked ok, but smelled faintly of a cellar. The area doesn't seem pleasant, but probably good enough for a night in transit. For us, it was the very unhelpful and rude service that made the worst impression.

A hotel with no reception is not a good experience for anybody in this day and age. I understand new tech advancements like a check-in device at the front door etc. but are they for real? Maybe after 40-50 years it’s gonna be a thing but certainly not now. I am glad that I booked only for one night tho. The place looks haunted and hollow and very quiet not in a good way.

There was no breakfast, because ''it's the week before christmas!''. That was very disappointing, because the breakfast on Sunday that I had was very good and cheap. A lot of sounds travel trough the walls, but earplugs solved this. Friendly and accessible staff. I would book again!

Nice, small room. Interesting concept to have a shower and sink in each room but a shared toilet. Bed is small but very comfortable. Water gets hot in shower and sink which is nice. No access to fridge, microwave, kettle or anything like that, even in shared spaces, and there aren't many restaurants within walking distance. Staff were cold, except cleaning lady who was very pleasant. I booked because it was close to Barclays arena. Exceptional wifi. You can hear EVERYTHING in the hallway though. Even with earplugs. I stayed here for one night. The checkin process is a breeze. Simply use a machine to get the keys and allow yourself to get comfortable in your tiny but alright room. The bed was comfortable and clean. Hot and cold water was working in bathroom. You have small table and a cupboard and a television. It’s ideal for sleepover.

Nestled in the charming district of Gross-Flottbek, Landhaus Flottbek Boutique is a delightful retreat that beautifully marries history with modern comfort. This enchanting property features stylish rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, ensuring a cozy stay for all guests. The hotel boasts a quaint eatery where you can savor delicious meals, especially during summer BBQs on the terrace.
It’s a comfortable facility with a hotel, restaurant and conference rooms (we had a company off-site there). The area is green and quiet, the hotel has an old fashioned spirit including open fire in the restaurant. The room was functional and cozy. The conference room was spacious, with very nice design, full of light and air. If you would like to have a dinner at the restaurant — make sure you book in advance, it’s a popular place with really good food. Parking is available. Breakfast is also very nice. The personnel are helpful and professional.

I tried to book with a larger group for two nights, one of which included dinner. We would be 13 couples, totaling 26 people. The persons I spoke to during a period of time to finalize the reservation showed complete lack of understanding in arranging dinner for 26 since they only accommodate up to 25 in a group in the restaurant if we didn’t pay 4000 euros for the whole group, i.e. 100% more than a normal dinner per person. They also refused to split us into two groups. I regret their decision, but most of all, I am very surprised and saddened by their unpleasant and arrogant attitude. I hope they are nicer to the guests they do accommodate.

The restaurant - staff members were very very nice . Atmosphere and food flavour was very good and quality for both breakfast and dinner . I love the idea of homemade butter . The hotel - Dislike - The hotel offering way below expectations. Our room was downgraded without telling us . its quite unfair and unacceptable . Check out was nightmare , the receptionist was below par .

Fantastic place! We stayed one night in a lovely room with a big balcony, very nice bed and bathroom. We had not reserved a table in the restaurant, since it was a weekday, thinking not so many guests would be around. We were so very wrong, this place is immensely popular so table reservations are a must. The atmosphere of the restaurant/bar/reception is incredibly nice and relaxed. Will definitely stay again if we have the chance!

We stayed here for 8 days as I was working at DESY at the time. The place was cosy and clean, and its feels spacious with the large open rooms. The appartment is also very quiet and close to the store and bus stop. Perfect for a stay in Hamburg for either holiday or work.

Very cozy ‘hygge’ hotel. Even booked a room second time when driving back to Belgium. The breakfast was the best we ever had but a bit pricey.

Delightful little hotel in Hamburg. Would be 5-stars except the wifi during our stay was rather terrible. Also, the hotel restaurant and bar are one unit, so there's no place to grab a drink after the restaurant closes, but they do provide a complimentary carafe of port in every room. Recently renovated and nice rooms with very nice bathrooms, although ours felt a little small and didn't have a good place to lay out our suitcase. Overall would definitely recommend, but just be aware it's a little closer to B&B than it is to high-end hotel.

Beautiful bedrooms, large and comfortable. Quite a good breakfast. Good location, possible to sit outside under the trees. Nice library just beside the reception. If the position is good depends on why are you in Hamburg

We stayed here for a week during our trip to Hamburg. The location is great, train and bus super close. The staff is very friendly, helpful and a very sweet team. We enjoyed the breakfast and lunch, a wonderful experience. The cleaning staff was incredible, we always had fresh towels everyday and the bed was perfect. The only thing is the room is a bit dark with no overhead lights, made it a bit difficult to see during the winter month. But everything else was superb and definitely recommend this hotel for your visit.
Tatiana T — Google review
Very noisy room facing the street. No attempt at all for safety in shower stall—no rails to hold on, slippery floor. No coffee in room. Water bottle given only on arrival. Less than fully gracious or helpful when my luggage was lost. Must pay for entire stay upon arrival. No AC, no fan. Lack of personal graciousness for a small, arty, boutique hotel. Not recommended.
Bella C — Google review
Make 100% sure that you book a room that is facing the internal courtyard, if you decide to stay at his hotel. We were given a street facing room, and were unable to sleep during both nights due to the street noise all night. (Loud yelling until 4 am both nights by party goers right in front of the hotel, cars honking etc. From 6 am loud trash disposal, banging on trash cans, right in front of our window). Maybe this would be a smaller issue during winter, but in the summer, you have to keep the windows open all night, as the room is VERY small and has zero ventilation. Even with windows open it was 30 degrees in the room. We were so exhausted after the 2nd sleepless night, we could hardly wait to check-out. Had I known that we will be put in ground floor, street facing room - I would have never booked this hotel. On the positive side: The location is great. 10 minutes walk from the Central Train station, 5 minutes walk to the river walk, just a street away from an area with dozens of nice restaurants. Also the small internal courtyard is really nice spot to have a coffee or drink on the afternoon.
Emese B — Google review
I got the blue house (budget option) on the top floor and there was no lift. The room was basic and relatively clean. Not good for guests with big luggage like me. Thankfully the hotel staff were willing to help. Breakfast was lovely; better than most mid-range hotels in Europe that I've visited.
Dian R — Google review
Our experience here was less than ideal. We did not get a room in the main hotel, but were placed down the street, which is a lot less nice. We paid for a "Double Room Superior Garden View" - in this case, the "garden" was a small courtyard filled with rocks. And an old, discarded rag, which was there for the entire stay. The room was otherwise pretty nice, but in the description the sleeping arrangement is described as: "Beds: 1.60 or 1.80" This is not true. It was two single beds next to each other, and in no way connected. They would slide appart constantly, it was extremely frustrating. I have never stayed in a hotel, where you could hear so much noise from other parts of the hotel. We could hear other people talking and "doing the deed", and in the morning, we would wake up to the sound of vacuum cleaning. Again, super frustrating. The breakfast was mediocre at best. Bread, youghurt, and scrambled eggs with tomatoes. A little bacon would've been nice, I usually hope for something more than what we eat at home every day. The people we interacted with were very nice, service at breakfast was good. All in all, I can in no way recommend this hotel. It was, to put it simply, not enjoyable at all.
Kasper S — Google review
This hotel was perfect. The location is excellent, situated a 10 minute walk to the main train station, 5 minutes to Lake Alster, minutes from bus transportation and many terrific restaurants. Clean and comfortable with a lovely private garden that is well tended. Cannot say enough nice things about the staff, especially Simon and Adrian, who were so warm and welcoming, helpful and informative and, well, just charming in so many ways. If I ever get back to Hamburg, this will be my only choice for a place to stay.........

Guests can indulge in a variety of dining experiences with three restaurants and two bars on-site. For those looking to unwind, the hotel features excellent wellness facilities including a steam room and sauna.
We have stayed at this Radisson Blu Hotel several times already and absolutely love it. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable and the location is truly superb. We have also stayed with our little daughter here several times already and were always impressed by how family-friendly the hotel is. A baby cot was always set up in our room, and at the breakfast restaurant they provided high chairs as well as special plates and cutlery for children. The restaurant staff was especially kind and attentive with our daughter, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you goes to the General Manager Guido for his outstanding personal support and for accommodating our specific wishes. It truly made a difference and added a personal touch to our stay. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Friendly check-in and quick rectification of an issue (reassignment to a quieter room away from elevator shaft). Beautiful views from 25th floor. Older hotel (bathrooms could be bigger with more space for personal items). No coffeemakers even in superior rooms. Firm mattress and adjustable climate controls made for good sleep. Very satisfying buffet breakfast, too. Appreciated the two bottles of water on arrival.

This is a great hotel except for the lifts. The room was good, the view was great. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. Staff friendly and the bar was good. However the lifts were just slow and loud. If you have a room near them then you will be awake all night. And they are inefficient to use having to wait ages for one to arrive and then it's usually full so you have to wait again. Shame as the rest of the stay was good. Location is good for local tube and trains. And could walk if feeling up for it.

To be honest I stayed here like 10 years ago . The location was outstanding. Just in the middle of everything 😃, I also remember a beautiful garden just next to it ( was actually my room view ) . I also remember that the day of my arrival we missed the flight and were over 14 hours late. And our friends asked them to make us meals or so . Because it was a horrible day for us , they actually agreed and waited for us . This was a lovely gesture. I don’t know how it’s going on now . But these was really some good memories ❤️

The rooms are fine and you can have a decent night sleep. However during my latest stay the shower head was hardly working and therefor it took me a long time to get clean. The service in the bar is pretty average and you could even call it slow and careless. We were sitting outside, but the waiter did not care to come by nor to put out the pillows. The location i pretty good and the main reason why i've stayed at the hotel for 3 times in total. The parking spaces below the hotel is however too small for anything bigger than a Up.

I booked this hotel for a stopover in Hamburg on my way to Denmark, but the experience was underwhelming. I reserved a room for two adults and one child. Unlike other hotels where an extra bed for a child is complimentary, I received an email just a few days before arrival stating that our child could either share the “king-size” bed (which was in fact smaller than a queen) or we could pay €50 for an additional bed. I agreed to pay, but this should have been clearly stated at the time of booking—especially since I specified we were three guests. Had I known, I would not have chosen this hotel. The parking was also disappointing: very narrow and no better value than the much more modern and spacious Congressplatz parking nearby, which is almost the same price. Overall, I felt taken advantage of. I chose this hotel because of my Amex status, but it will certainly be the last time. At least I know now which hotel brand to avoid.

With contemporary rooms and suites, it provides fantastic views of the city and overlooks the Mittlekanal. The hotel features a low-key restaurant, chic bar, and spa area with amenities such as a sauna and whirlpool tub.
Great hotel. Clean, beautiful view from the gym. Spacious room, nice shower. Perfect spot to rest after long days of work or tourism. Getting to it from the central train station is quite shady at night, though. Do not follow the Google directions. Instead, follow the main roads. Regions surrounding train stations are notoriously shady in Germany.

Stayed here with my family for two nights, we had superior double room with extra bed for 5 yo. Decent room size, but on smaller side. Great view, new bathroom. Wonderful breakfast with fresh omelette made by a chef and great seating options. Make sure to be there early. Location is right next to motorway so not cozy but very convenient if you travel by car. Underground parking available but places are limited. From the hotel you can travel quickly to city centre by bus, S ban or U ban. Staff helped me with everything I asked for. Overall solid value for money. Probably would work best for business trips.

It did not feel like a 5 star hotel. There were no service when we arrived or departed. The staff did not tell us anything about the hotel on arrival, they just gave us the room key. And at departure they just took the key, they did not even ask if everything was alright with our stay. The room was nice though. From the 23. August - 25. August 2025

My experience at HYPERION Hotel Hamburg was shockingly poor, and I feel compelled to warn others. I booked a stay through Hotels.com, fully believing I had reserved August 28–29. When I arrived that same day, I discovered the system had instead booked September 28–29. I explained the situation politely at reception, but was met with complete indifference. The receptionist first claimed he couldn’t see any booking and that there was “nothing he could do.” I immediately contacted Hotels.com, who tried twice to call the hotel, but nobody answered. During this time, the receptionist even went to the back office – and when I pointed it out, he simply shrugged and repeated that nothing could be done. When I told him this was unacceptable service and would result in a negative review, his response was: “Then just do that.” This is not just poor service – it is shameful. The reservation in question was still a full month away, meaning the hotel would not have lost anything by showing a minimum level of flexibility or goodwill. Instead, they chose to dismiss a guest standing right in front of them, only hiding behind rigid rules. A hotel that treats its guests this way should seriously reconsider whether it belongs in the hospitality business. I strongly advise others to avoid HYPERION Hotel Hamburg unless management makes fundamental changes. I sincerely hope the hotel manager reads this, because this level of customer service is unacceptable for an establishment that charges premium rates. At the very least, I expect the manager to contact me directly to resolve this situation. Lucas Booking nr: 72065701401527

Worst hotel experience i ever had in my life. We booked and paid for two rooms but we were given only one room for the night and in the morning after a lot of argument the other room was given. But we paid for both rooms in advance. Rooms keys sometimes just stop working for no reason. Once we were not able to lock the room while going outside and once we were stuck outside, and the key didn't work. You have to go to reception again and again.
Junaid U — Google review
The hotel had deducted the money twice from my credit card. I tried to talk to them upon checking out. The hotel had already made a reserved amount on my card. Then when checking out they say my card could not be charged so they need to borrow the card again. So it ends up with me having two reserved amounts for the hotel room on my card. They say one of the amounts will fall back. But later when I check both amounts have been taken. Mistakes can happen but my impression when I pointed this out later is that the hotel did not really believe the money had been taken twice. Instead they kept saying one of the amounts would fall back in a couple of days. When I call some of the staff even sound a little defensive and frustrated saying all they can is that everything has been done on their end. One guy answering the phone when I called did not even say goodbye either. I think with good routines situations like these can be avoided. For example when this happens all such errands could be forwarded directly to the proper department at the hotel for a thourogh check. Instead I needed to call and ask several times and after a while finally I get an email saying "thank you for your mail. We are very sorry for that misunderstanding. We just double checked the transactions and saw that your card was unexpectedly charged twice. We already refunded you the amount of xxx.xx € to the attached credit card, that should be showing in your bank account in the next few working days. Have a good day!" I think the main problem are the routines here..and possibly more commitment from the staff, for example one person could take an overall responsibility. It was unfortunate with a stay that I had nothing to complain about otherwise.

Er stayed one night at Scandic Hamburg Emporio and had a very good experience overall. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and smooth. We had connecting rooms, which worked well for our family. The rooms were clean, modern, and nicely designed. The hotel itself feels fresh and well-maintained. Parking was easy and the price fair. The breakfast buffet was good – a wide variety of options with something for everyone, including kids. The location is excellent – very central, close to shops, parks, and public transport, but still quiet and calm. A couple of downsides: We had booked a room with a city view but were placed on the first floor facing a courtyard – a bit disappointing. The elevators were also very slow and made it frustrating to get to the parking garage. Lastly, the key cards didn’t always work, but since we stayed on the first floor, it was manageable. All in all, a great hotel for a city break in Hamburg – clean, central, and family-friendly. Would stay again!

We had a Superior Plus Double Room with access to the lounge "Living Room". The room was amazing, big, clean and high standard. The living room was just across the hall and was a nice shared area where just a few had access. There we could have our breakfast, have bread and cheese mid day and soup in the afternoon. Wine, beer, coffee and lemonade where available all the time. All of this was included in the price because we had the suite. Absolutely fantastic! As for the rest of the hotel; a small but functional gym in the basement, nice reception and bar area, big spacious breakfast area and very pleasant staff. The location was excellent as it was just by a subway stop.

A journey through time - in the very best sense of the word. As soon as I arrived, I could only marvel at a hotel with a standard all of its own, so stately and full of history. And right next to the main railway station! The pride in this historic hotel is also reflected in the staff at reception and at breakfast: very courteous and attentive. I got up extra early to enjoy an extensive breakfast in the historic breakfast room. The room itself was small, but very lovingly furnished and of high quality. Clean anyway. It is unlikely that I will book another hotel in Hamburg.

We recently stayed two nights at the Reichshof Hamburg. It’s in a convenient location for exploring the gay area of St. Georg. The hotel itself has a nice vibe with its art deco decor, and the lobby areas are stylish and inviting. The surrounding neighborhood does not feel the safest. Our initial assigned room, 248, was directly across from and above a corner with a gas station and the block’s row of large trash bins. At 5:40 a.m., we were awakened by the dump truck crane collecting trash. The truck made a constant “beep beep beep” sound, and large metal bins banged loudly as they were hoisted up and down for over 30 minutes. Thankfully, the front desk responded immediately and moved us to a quiet, interior facing room where we slept wonderfully the next night. The bedding is comfortable, the curtains darken the room well, and there was no noise at all. The complimentary bottled water in the room is a nice touch. The shower had quick hot water and good pressure. We also appreciated that the hotel hosted a Pride breakfast event in the lobby as part of the larger CSD Pride festivities, it was lively and well attended. Despite the frustrating sleep interruption the first night, I would recommend this hotel and stay here again if in the area.

Avoid this hotel at all costs! I arrived at this hotel late at night on August 2, 2025, with a confirmed reservation that I had made well in advance and already paid for via Booking.com. To my shock, the receptionist told me there was no room available because they had overbooked. I insisted that I had a reservation and had already paid, but they still refused me a room. While waiting, I noticed several other guests facing the exact same problem. When I asked how long this issue had been happening, they admitted it had been going on for over a month! On top of that, they gave me misleading information. I chose this hotel because it was only a 2–3 minute walk from my workplace. Instead, they suggested another hotel that they claimed was "10 minutes away." In reality, it was a 20-minute drive or a 51-minute walk. Completely unacceptable. In the middle of the night, in heavy rain, I was left with no choice but to book another hotel at the last minute. Shockingly, the second hotel booked via Booking.com also told me there were no available rooms. Booking.com refunded me about a week later, but took no further action regarding this unacceptable experience. ⚠️ If you book this hotel, be prepared to risk being stranded with no room in the middle of the night. Think very carefully before booking here.

Very cozy and lovely hotel! The lobby feels warm and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and nicely designed. The staff was very helpful and kind. They even treated us to a breakfast — a lovely and unexpected gesture. Breakfast was healthy and had different options. I especially loved that the hotel encourages eco-friendly behavior and rewards you with cute complimentary treats — such a cool idea! The location is also great. Don’t hesitate at all — this is a very nice hotel, and we’ll definitely come back soon!

Absolutely unacceptable experience – avoid this hotel at all costs. I booked this hotel a full week in advance for a business trip to Hamburg. Before booking, I even called the hotel to confirm that a late-night arrival would be okay. They assured me it was no problem and told me to simply leave a note in the reservation, which I did. After booking, I received an email from them confirming my late arrival and stating that someone would be waiting at reception. On the day of my arrival, after my flight was delayed, I sent another email informing them I’d be a little later than expected. Again, they replied confirming that everything was fine and someone would be there to receive me. When I finally arrived — tired and well past midnight — I was shocked to be told that there were no rooms available. Despite having booked and paid in full, and despite all the confirmations, they had clearly given my room away. To make matters worse, I wasn’t the only one. A colleague of mine, who had also booked in advance, experienced the exact same issue. This was not just an inconvenience — it was a total failure of professionalism and basic hospitality. I ended up scrambling to find another hotel in the middle of the night. Absolutely disgraceful.

My recent stay at the NH Hamburg Altona exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff made me feel welcome, especially Ana, whose friendliness and attention to detail were exceptional. My room was spacious, spotless, and offered every comfort one could wish for. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of hot and cold dishes to choose from. I would especially like to thank Ralitsa Simova from the restaurant for her excellent service; she made me feel like an honored guest. The hotel's location is also unbeatable, with easy access to public transportation and Hamburg's main attractions. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

The Ibis Hamburg City Hotel is a modern budget hotel with stylish rooms and a trendy restaurant, as well as a 24-hour bar. Situated in the heart of Hamburg near the HafenCity Quarter, this 2-star hotel offers 252 guestrooms equipped with amenities such as free Wi-Fi, TV, and sound-proofed windows. Its central location allows for easy access to popular attractions like Monckebergstrasse Thoroughfare.
Hotel was very nice, modern and close to the transportation centers. The front desk reception was a joy due to a very pleasant girl there named Tannaz. Thank you.
Bill C — Google review
The rooms were uncomfortably hot, and the air conditioning was insufficient to bring the temperature down to a comfortable level. I raised this issue with management, but no effective solution was provided. Opening the windows wasn't a viable option either, as the hotel is located right next to a main road, and the traffic noise is constant. Additionally, the carpets in the room were stained, which detracted from the overall cleanliness. I'm giving it 3 stars solely because of its convenient location with easy access to other parts of Hamburg.

Very central. Did just stay for one night, but very well located and nice rooms. Breakfast was nice, had what you need for breakfast. A big plus for the waffles! :D That was very appreciated.

Only thing this place is good for is their location. Serive is poor, room doesn’t come with a safty box. And when i tripped and fell and scraped my left knee on floor and ask for band aid at the front desk, they said they don’t have any!! How can a front desk hotel not carry band aid and dont know where to get one for their customers!!??! So just let your customer bleed, Rediculous, will never come again.
Dave — Google review
The location of the hotel was great, but unfortunately, everything else was quite disappointing. For the price we paid, we didn’t even get a couple of slippers. There were no basic amenities like a kettle, or a small fridge, which were necessary for us, we don't even get cops inside of the room we need to go back to the reception and ask for them. The bathroom had some issues with the hermetic seal of the shower area, causing water to spill out and get everything inside the bathroom wet. Additionally, the carpet on the floor was not clean, which made our stay less comfortable. The door was too heavy, making it difficult to open and close, especially when handling our luggage. The area was really noisy, and you can regulate the room temperature for one degree but inside of the number was where we were so when we open the window it was too noisy but when we close it it was too warm.
Emmi A — Google review
Terrible and unsafe stay at ibis Hamburg City. The bed frame was 25 cm shorter than the mattress, and I fell to the floor — a clear safety hazard. Staff refused to help or change the room. Paid €131.22 per night for this unacceptable experience. As a loyal Accor member, this was truly shocking and disappointing.
Motasem A — Google review
The room was nice but insufferably hot and the only option was the AC being the window completely locked; you couldn't even tilt it like in other rooms. I would suggest to Cleary state it during booking and/or checkin process because it might be an issue for some
Claudio I — Google review
Friendly staff, bicycle can be taken to the room. Rooms are very small, therefore too expensive. Breakfast is a joke: not enough tables for everyone (expect a queue), only one coffee machine for freshly ground coffee and no warm dishes at all. Additionally everything is put on high tables, so wheelchair people need help all the time.

Nestled in the vibrant Hohenfelde district, Novotel Hamburg City Alster is a contemporary haven that perfectly blends comfort with convenience. Just a stone's throw from the subway station, it serves as an ideal base for exploring the enchanting maritime charm of Hamburg. Guests can indulge in Mediterranean cuisine at the on-site restaurant or unwind at the sports bar and sauna after a day of sightseeing.
Wonderful stay at Hamburg. The staff were very helpful and friendly and attended to all our needs. They upgraded our room to a beautiful location. They helped us with the parking process and the laundry service. The breakfast options were very good. The only issue was that there was a limited options for dinner from the standard menu.
A V — Google review
I recently stayed at Novotel Hamburg City Alster on the first floor. The room was nice and comfortable, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job — the toilet and shower were cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided each day. Overall, the facilities and cleanliness were very good. The only negative experience I had was with the receptionist, Mr. M. Farnmood, who came across as arrogant and impolite when I struggled to understand German. As a tourist, I would have expected more patience and understanding, especially at an international hotel. That aside, I enjoyed my stay and would return in the future. I do hope, however, that the hotel chain reminds their front office staff that not all guests speak German, and a bit more courtesy goes a long way in making visitors feel welcome.
Lee — Google review
We stayed at this hotel for three nights and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. Despite contacting the front desk multiple times—twice by phone during the first two nights and twice in person in the mornings—our room was never cleaned throughout our entire stay. Each time, staff failed to provide any explanation or resolution. Check-in was also frustrating, with a line that took over 30 minutes. The room itself appeared unfinished; for example, there was a cabinet clearly meant to house a fridge, but no fridge was provided. The quality of the beds and pillows was well below expectations—comparable to or worse than what we’ve had in much more affordable Airbnbs. Given what we paid, the value for money was extremely poor. While the breakfast buffet offered a decent variety and was the one bright spot, it wasn’t enough to offset the overall negative experience. In short, we would not recommend this hotel. The service, comfort, and overall price-to-value ratio fell far below acceptable standards.
Aziz S — Google review
We have a mixed experience with this hotel during our 3-night stay. Parking garage was extremely difficult to find (they simply could have put a P sign pointing towards the parking garage) and the layout of the surrounding roads made it impossible to make a u-turn once you miss it, so we did 15-minute detours, twice! Additionally, it was extremely expensive to park at the hotel garage, at 27 euros per day, but the reception advised us that there weren’t other options near the hotel. The hotel staff were also a mix of nice and rude individuals- front desk who helped with check in was sweet and kind, but one of the restaurant staff (lady) was rude and rest very nice, and the same goes for house keeping staff- they even entered our house without knocking once. The room itself was nice, but the container with shower gel was completely empty when we got the room, and they didn’t refill it either for the two days of house keeping during our stay despite informing the house keeping staff, till I called the front desk. At the hotel restaurant, we were served the wrong items a couple of times- we were told they were understaffed so we didnt make a fuss. Child-friendliness is a plus with a dedicated indoor play corner. Overall, this Novotel holds a much lower standard than others we have been. We won’t stay here again if we are to visit Hamburg again in the future.
Claire H — Google review
We stay 3 nights at the hotel. Very well located in front of a subway station, at 15mn of the city center. We receive very good advises from the reception to find good restaurant and good locations during our trip. The breakfast is very good and the bedroom comfortable and very quite.
JEF M — Google review
We got a great stay, with good room, good breakfeast buffet and fine playroom for children. The only minor downside is that the hotel is located a bit far from city, but the hotel is bascially neightbour to a metro line. And the play room could be done better, with a clearer split between the console (PS5) and the children toys, so children can avoid interference with each other
Troels M — Google review
A lot of things done right: friendly and helpful staff, good selection at the breakfast, comfortable bed in a decently sized room, very good wi-fi (if you register for the ALL loyalty programme and log in). The AC is fairly loud and didn't really cool the room below 20 somehow (although the flyer specifically said the ideal sleeping temperature is 19) and I was missing anything resembling a desk. Finally I chose the coffee table as a replacement, but that only qualifies as an emergency replacement and is not suitable for more than a quick check of your mails.
Sebastian F — Google review
The Room was clean and the Hotel was well located, there was everything you need in the hotel. Bed were cosy and the room was quiet, maybe some amenities like a free bottel of water or some snacks would have been pleasant The Price was reasonably for the standard The check in was a bit slow as there were only two people

It was my first time staying here and for a four star hotel I do not think it reflects this rating. The rooms: At first glance they were nice but we noticed small things that really made us second guess the hotel. There were marks on the wall, my husbands pillow also had blood? or something red on it. In any case, not a good first impression. There was also a musty smell which made things even more uncomfortable and it was poorly insulated. I could hear everything out in the hallways and also above us. One plus I can give is the free drinks in the mini fridge and the peppermint body wash and shampoo. The service: The employees were nice, but the check out service took way too long. Only until 10 minutes in waiting, we noticed a box to do express check out. The staff should have advised everyone when there was a literal line down the lobby. The staff also were super slow, it took 10 minutes to check one person in. The location: Not far fron the Hauptbahnhof but the location is not the prettiest. Lots of construction. I think there are way better hotels, my concert was sadly cancelled so I came to Hamburg for a weekend getaway, but I would probably not have this hotel as my first pick.

This is not 4 star hotel. While innside in luxembourg is great this hotel does not Look like 4 starts. It’s not as clean. Curtains in two of my rooms have brown stains all over them. I ordered and payed for coffee waited 30 minutes, told the waitress I never got my coffee and he said “I can make it now if you’d like”. A lot of workers have good manners and good hospitality but some of them not. Parking that looks bad, car on the rain and wind, is 28 euros??? If it’s 4 star and you charge it like that at least make it look pretty…
Hena Č — Google review
Overall, our stay at the hotel was good. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the complimentary bar was a nice touch. The location is also convenient, with relatively easy access to the city center by train or bus. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming. The variety, quantity, and quality of the food didn’t really match what one would expect from a 4-star hotel. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by an issue with the parking fees. We understand that parking is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, but the amount we were charged seemed excessive and unclear. Despite trying to contact the hotel through multiple channels, we haven’t received a response, so we are reaching out here as well. According to Booking.com and the hotel's own information, parking is listed at €28 per 24 hours for guests. However, we were charged €71, and we would like to understand how this was calculated. To clarify: *We parked from Thursday at 18:17 to Friday at 08:10. *On Friday night, there was no parking available, so we parked elsewhere. *We parked again from Saturday at 10:10 to Sunday at 10:15. In total, our car was parked for approximately 38 hours. Based on the stated daily rate, we would appreciate any clarification on the final charge. We acknowledge that we didn’t request a receipt (our mistake), but we would still like some transparency regarding the fee. Other than this issue, our stay was pleasant. However, resolving this matter would greatly improve our overall impression of the hotel.

Room was clean. The wash basin is not in the shower shower room. So floor getting wet. WC and shower in room are in separate cubicle, but in room. So was awkward. The wc air exhaust was broken or not working, so you had to ventilate room on your own by opening window. It has big king size bed. OK for family with small kid. Room with 2 separate beds also available. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Sausages, bacon, eggs, müsli, pan cakes, muffins, fruits, coffee and much more. Only thing it is a relatively small area and gets crowded. In rush time, you have to wait for 10 20 mins to get a table. Bus across the hotel directly going to station. Very convenient. However hotel staff was clueless about it. Hotel has Parking per day was 28eur secured parkplace or You can park in the adjacent lane on street for 10eur for one day.

Hi all, I recently stayed with my family at Innside Hamburg. With Innside, I'm noticing that the rooms aren't supposed for comfortable living — there are no hangers in the closets or hooks on the sinks, and the toilet is tiny (and we were in a suite). The sleep quality is much more precarious than at a Melià hotel. The extra space in the room is poorly utilized. The room cleaning reminder system is not very useful. Guests don't always realize they need to set a MANUAL reminder, and the cleaners (a great team, by the way!) have to personally approach each room to see what the reminder says. Excellent minibar service. Great stereo equipment. Very good housekeeping. I want to highlight Sara's service in the Innside restaurant and bar — she's a great professional, empathetic, and cheerful; she brings a spark to the entire hotel. These are star-rated people who elevate the hotel's reputation, and such people must be appreciated. We're very pleased and grateful for your unselfish service!

Bathroom was integrated to room. Not really a room type what I like. Location is good when using car, but not walking distance to central. Great breakfast and surprisingly good gym compared to many other hotels which have only a few small dumbbells.

I highly recommend to avoid this hotel whenever possible. If you have any other option for accomodation in Hamburg - use it, and forget about "Super 8 by Wyndham Hamburg Mitte". I made a pre-paid reservation via Booking for a 4-night stay in this hotel, but when I arrived the receptionist informed me that they have overbooking and won't provide accomodation for me. Talking to the hotel manager also didn't help. The lady was indifferent. She informed me that my stay will be cancelled and money will be returned within 30 days, but after 30 days I didn't receive any refund. What's worse, Booking shows this reservation as realised. I've tried to contact with the hotel several times via e-mail but I was ghosted. So, I want to warn you that "Super 8 by Wyndham Hamburg Mitte" is a cammer preying on customers. Don't make any reservation there and avoid loosing your money!

I stayed at this hotel for three nights, and unfortunately, the only positive aspect was its convenient location. The service was disappointing — you have to request everything at the reception, including basic housekeeping like vacuuming or restocking toilet paper. Upon arrival, our room was not clean; the sheets were stained and had an unpleasant odor, and we had to ask for them to be changed. Additionally, the breakfast made me and my companions sick, forcing us to cancel plans due to a stomach bug. If you do choose to stay here, I strongly recommend avoiding the breakfast.
Mahnaz M — Google review
You come to the hotel in the evening, theres a few people staff in reception, but they still make you do a self-check inn. Not much parking space for a huge hotel is also not great. Kid beds in room when you specifically said you dont need them, cause the rooms are already small. Decided to have breakfast around 8.50-9a.m. Half of things are already empty had to wait for it to be bringed out again. Sadlly it was too long and had to be happy with just a sandwich with bacon. The hotel is not bad if you don't have a car and like to do everything yourself.
Nojus Ž — Google review
For a 1-2 nights is good and you can find everything you need, in a good state and clean. There were only 2 things that we found annoying, which was the light in the bathroom: you could not use the bathroom without waking up your partner in the room. And some big noise coming up from the upstairs room that would wake us up everytime.
Brenda A — Google review
I was initially staying with a second person who couldn’t make it to Hamburg and wanted a refund for the price or at least to have breakfast instead but they just went silent. The staff was extremely unprofessional and didn’t know how to handle the situation. My favorite part was when a lady insisted on asking me about the reason for the cancellation when it was extremely private. As I couldn’t get an answer to that, I thought at least I could have one hour extra for a late check out, guess what the desk answered me? - Add another 10€ for an hour. I mean never have I ever experienced such bs in terms of service, but I guess that happens when you chose the most hideous location in the city.
Anni K — Google review
I liked staying here, but I didn't love it. The room was a bit too loud, getting there with public transport was a bit painful and the breakfast was too expensive for what they offered.

CAB20 is a small and private capsule hotel located in Hamburg, Germany. With a comfortable bed and clean bathroom, it's perfect for solo travelers or couples.
I think this place is really great. The concept of cabin hotels is pretty cool and definitely suited me for the purposes of my trip. The rooms are clean and well put together. You won’t have any floor space other than the bed itself so beat that in mind. Lots of toilets and showers, towels are avail label and it’s really just a very efficient hotel with no fluff. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Location is good.

Really cute, clean and comfortable small rooms! Felt really futuristic and the shower halls were clean. However, never have I ever experiencing a "breakfast buffet" without coffee included, so that was new.. also, be careful in the area (not really safe)!

Good and clean accommodation. They cabines are small but you have everything you need and it‘s well soundproof. Good value for money for the room. I wanna mention the breakfast. It‘s fine but the selection a bit small for the price and no coffee included which is baffling to me. You‘re may be better off having breakfast somewhere else.
Christoph S — Google review
Great quiet hotel. I won’t recommend if you are claustrophobic or have allergies. The room was a bit dusty, which triggered the allergies of my boyfriend. It was very warm in the cabin as well. Other than that, the shared bathroom is insanely clean for shared bathroom. You have a fair amount of shower (at least for the ladies). Hair dryers are available. The bar/reception is open 24/7 if you want to have food/drinks and the staff is helpful.
Ambre L — Google review
The main problem of the place is the ventilation of the rooms, which is too cold and you can't regulate it. I caught a cold during the trip and it ruined it for me. The rooms are fine and the place is quite clean and has a cool look. Everything is perfect except for the air conditioning which spoils the whole experience. The staff were very nice.
German109 M — Google review
This is an interesting place to stay. The service is good, rooms are clean and there are loads of good showers. Each room is half of a garden shed in size. If you have lots of luggage it won't fit in the room. Image a 'L' on its side like in Tetris. This is your part of the cabin/shed. I use the place each time I come to Hamburg, it is near the main station and decent to use. Just go in aware of how tight the rooms are for space.

The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk to the subway station, right across the street from the Bunker, and less than 10 minutes to a grocery store and shopping mall. Very convenient for getting around and exploring the city. What really stood out, though, was the service. I want to give a special thanks to Susanna and the kind gentleman (sorry I didn’t catch your name) from Frontier who helped me with my suitcase issue. It had been there for a few days and I know it must have been a bit of a hassle, but they were so understanding and helpful. Truly appreciated their kindness! The room was much more spacious than most hotels in Hamburg, and I really liked the view — a bit of greenery outside gave the space a calm, relaxing feel.

we enjoyed this hotel because of the staff Ricardo went above and beyond and make sure that I was happy with my situation that I had the rooms Air conditioning was off so I had to move, but it was taken care of properly. The breakfast was very good everybody at the breakfast room help was fabulous and made sure everybody was happy and there was plenty of food. The location for me was OK. It’s in an area that I would call a little edgy graffiti on wall the neighborhood-l blue collar workers. The restaurants around the hotel we’re ok but plenty of restaurants Italian fish etc A few stores super markets reminded me of (so ho in new York in the 80 ) you would need to walk at least one to 2 miles each day to get to any areas that are for tourists . They do have the train station nearby.

Guests can enjoy a fitness center with an indoor pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, spa treatments, gym facilities, and nine conference rooms.
Sleek modern architecture with a warm, stylish atmosphere. The lobby’s glass atrium and moody lighting set the tone. Rooms are clean, well-appointed, and surprisingly quiet. Service is professional, the rooftop and spa are standout perks. A great choice for design lovers seeking comfort in the heart of the city.

The SIDE Hotel in Hamburg is a perfect blend of luxury, modern design, and outstanding service, making it an exceptional choice for both business and leisure travelers. Located in the heart of the city, just a short walk from Jungfernstieg and the Inner Alster Lake, the hotel offers a prime location for exploring Hamburg’s best attractions, shopping districts, and restaurants. From the moment you enter, the stylish, contemporary design sets the tone for a sophisticated stay. The rooms and suites are elegantly furnished, spacious, and equipped with high-end amenities, ensuring maximum comfort. The beds are particularly comfortable, and the soundproofing guarantees a peaceful night’s sleep, even in the bustling city center. One of the highlights of the hotel is its rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking views over Hamburg—perfect for enjoying a drink in the evening. The wellness and spa area is another standout, featuring a heated indoor pool, sauna, and fitness center, providing the ultimate relaxation after a busy day. The service is impeccable—staff members are professional, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure guests have an unforgettable experience. Whether for a weekend getaway or a business trip, SIDE Hotel delivers an outstanding stay, combining modern luxury with Hamburg’s vibrant charm. The one suggestion is to avoid room 708 - the sound insulation is, unfortunately, non-existent.

Too focused on high tech design and less on functionality. Dangerously slippery bathtub (part of the shower arrangements)!!! Lighting system needs a manual to find (specially in the bathroom) and operate. Would try another hotel next time

We celebrated birthday with my husband here. It was really good decision to celebrate it in SIDE hotel. Service is 10/10, so comfy bed, quiet, clean. Spa is quite small but nice 😊

One of my favorite hotels that makes business travel much more enjoyable! Starts with a fantastic breakfast with high quality and tasty dishes from omelette and eggs Benedict to their buffet with ample choice of bread, cheese, very fresh peeled fruits, fish etc etc and your usual bacon eggs pancakes etc. staff are all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are well designed, love that there is lots of hooks and storage. Gym and pool are great, just not much free weight but sauna and steam bath also nice. Top notch hotel, wish I could bring my family

We came to Hamburg for the lion king musical and chose to stay at the side hotel for 2 nights over the weekend. The room was good but not overwhelming in size. The bed was comfy but it was not a kind size bed, other 5 star establishments had bigger beds before. All in all the room was clean and functional. I liked the multiple storage options. The room looks a little boutique but old though not worn. One bottle of water was provided for us which I think should be 2 at least and refilled during the day even without cleaning service. I loved that we got 2 free mocktails for choosing to cancel the cleaning service. Breakfast was abundant but choice was kind of limited to western breakfast. Lots of cheeses and sausages. I loved the menu to choose from which included different hot dishes and also coffee varieties plus healthy drink options. The egg Benedict was disappointing though with veeery liquid egg yolk and even solid egg white. It should be a little firm at least. The omelette, however, was yummy! Location of the hotel is very good as well. Close to the Center and co both the fair and the shopping district. All in all a good hotel with a great location and a good balcony as well. A couple of points to improve though!

Our recent stay at SIDE Hotel Hamburg was a memorable experience that balanced thoughtful luxury with warm professionalism. While the hotel may show some signs of age in certain areas, what truly sets it apart—and earns it a full 5-star rating—is its exceptional staff, unbeatable location, and excellent value for money. Let me start with what makes SIDE special: The staff is the heart of this hotel. Always kind, humble, and incredibly professional, they consistently went out of their way to assist us. Whether it was helping with custom breakfast requests, bringing ice to the room (several times – I’m a “wine with ice” kind of person), or offering umbrellas on a rainy Hamburg day – they made every interaction feel personal and genuine. The location in Gänsemarkt is absolutely perfect – central, safe, and within walking distance to many of Hamburg’s key spots. For a five-star hotel in this area, the price was surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the high level of service and facilities. Breakfast deserves its own spotlight: high-quality ingredients, fresh selection, and delightful extras like prawns and seafood specialties—not something you’ll find in your average city hotel. You can also request dishes à la carte – omelets, Eggs Benedict, and more – all beautifully prepared and served with a smile. There’s parking available right next to the hotel in a dedicated garage for €40/day, which is convenient and easy. Now, for a few points of constructive feedback, shared in the spirit of helping a great hotel become even better: • The room design, particularly the bathroom with glass walls and a sheer curtain, feels a bit outdated and impractical by today’s standards. It looks elegant, but lacks real privacy. • The sanitary fixtures were functional, but not as modern or user-friendly as one might expect at this level. • Mattresses were on the softer side, and the blankets quite warm for the summer months. • The air conditioning felt underpowered and didn’t cool the room as efficiently as other luxury hotels I’ve stayed in. That said, these are not deal-breakers, and certainly not reasons to lower the rating. The overall quality of service, the hospitality, and the sense of care we felt throughout our stay more than compensated for these relatively minor points

I go here for work. I’ve been so many times. The rooms are clean the staff is friendly. The dinner service is pricey. I had a steak with a gin and tonic 50€.

Rooms are of decent size but not so great, breakfast buffet is also ok ok but can be a lot better. So, it definitely need improvement here.

I recently stayed at Hotel Best Western Premier in Hamburg, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable – everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The food was equally impressive, fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Overall, Hotel Hai exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hamburg.

The hotel was clean and welcoming especially after being short notice booked there by the Airline. The food was delicious and I can only recommend it.

Nice cosy hotel near the airport. Public transport connections right outside the hotel. Friendly staff and fod breakfast. Parking spots situation could be improved.

Got booked to the hotel via Lufthansa for 1night. The service at the reception was outstanding. Great customer service, friendly and very competent. Got a healthy lunch box because i couldn't make it to breakfast. The rooms are spacious and well maintained by the staff. The restaurant offered a classic service and very professional. The food was delicious and well presented. I want to thank the team of the hotel for the treatment and the welcome feeling.

We had a really lovely 2 night stay. The staff were very friendly and professional. Location was great, it’s really easy to get a bus into Hamburg and the free travel card you are offered with the price of the room came in really handy! The Spa and gym were amazingly clean and modern, definitely a highlight. I would have given 5 stars but I think €19 per person per day for breakfast is extortionate!

We had a very nice stay in a very good room - well furnished and equipped, with a view to the street crossing. We were not disturbed by the outdoor sounds because of the good windows. We enjoyed the meal and service in the evening in the "Bierstube". It was a nice experience even though we had planned to dine in the main restaurant, which was closed because of summer weather! We had breakfast in the restaurant rooms and the ambient, the food choice and the service was very good. There are not enough parking place outdoors - all places being occupied when we arrived. We parked in the garage, which was OK. The reception staff was very helpful at check-in and check-out. We appreciated the personal welcome message in the room when we arrived. In short, well thought, well planned and well executed.

The hotel boasts an upscale German/French restaurant, Brick, where breakfast is served with exceptional service from attentive staff like Dalida. I stayed three nights in this hotel June. The rooms were large. The location was close to the lake and restaurants by the water. The breakfast buffet was delicious and also had lots of variety.

A wonderful and perfectly located place to stay in Hamburg. Special shoutout to Michael, bar manager, who went above and beyond to ensure we experienced Hamburg to it's fullest. Room was very clean, service was great, location was on point - overall would stay here again.

Unfortunately I was overcharged on my bill, and the front desk staff were unable to assist me at the time of my check out. I was overcharged 2 nights parking, and was told that my credit card would be adjusted, and that I would be emailed an amended bill. That was over a week ago, and after numerous attempts at emailing this hotel, either the inbox’s are not read, or followed up. Plus, the Marriott Bonvoy website doesn’t seem to have specific hotel email addresses like their competitors such as Accor. Added to this, I was not told on check in that my room came with breakfast, and as such, I missed out on what my company paid for. The upside of my stay was that the staff were generally very friendly, especially the head barman, he was fantastic. The standard of room was nice, but the shower was somewhat dangerous, being high up in a bath. The location is very good, and right in the heart of all the action. I hope that someone from the hotel contacts me to help correct my overcharged bill. *** Edit: the hotel did contact me, and very kindly supplied the requested details ***

I had a great stay at the Renaissance Hamburg Hotel, which offers a well-balanced mix of comfort, style, and efficiency. The rooms were excellent, with a thoughtful design that felt both modern and inviting. The overall ambiance of the hotel was upscale yet relaxed, making it a great place to unwind. Housekeeping was fantastic, keeping everything spotless and well-maintained throughout my stay. The building itself has a premium feel, reflecting the Renaissance brand’s blend of contemporary and classic design. The location is also SPOT ON! I only ordered light bites via room service, and while they were decent, I believe there’s room for improvement in terms of quality and variety. A more refined in-room dining menu would elevate the experience. The front desk team was welcoming and efficient, particularly when recognizing Gold/Platinum Bonvoy members. However, while the service was really good, I feel it could be enhanced further to fully reflect the Renaissance brand’s premium status. There’s an opportunity to bring it more in line with the higher-end properties in the Marriott portfolio, such as The W or St. Regis, where the welcome experience feels more personalized and polished. Overall, this is a solid choice in Hamburg, with great rooms, strong service, and a well-maintained property. A few refinements—particularly in room service and elite guest recognition—could elevate it to an even higher standard. Would definitely stay again!

I've stayed in this hotel twice, and found it to have a great staff, great service, as well as clean and comfortable rooms. It also has an excellent location for exploring Hamburg. The historical nature of the building and its location, however, does come with some inconveniences. First, according to the maitre d' that I spoke to, the building has no air conditioning, only forced air heat. Second, apparently some German automotive enthusiasts love their loud mufflers as well as exhaust burbles and bangs, so it can get noisy -- especially if the windows are open for ventilation. After 10 pm it does quiet down (Ruhezeit), but even after than, a rogue motorcycle will sometimes thunder down the street. So depending on your sensitivities and the daily temperature, you may or may not enjoy the considerable advantages of this hotel.

Love this hotel! Stayed here twice for brief stints in Hamburg, everything was lovely: they upgraded us on both stays and we had an excellent room, excellent breakfasts, and some excellent drinks at the bar.
Andrew S — Google review
It smelled musty in the corridors, the rooms, especially the shower, were not clean. The restaurant is a disaster! In contrast, the staff were very friendly. A better choice is the Marriott Hotel at 52 ABC Street, which is only 250 metres away.
Peter T — Google review
The only plus of this hotel is the location. The service is frankly bad, typically German, you could say. I should have stayed at the Marriott. To begin with, the receptionist in the "best" German traditions asked for my passport. The roo is nothing special. Cleaning is so-so, there is a thick layer of dust on the light bulbs (see the photo, since the light is on, it may seem that there is not much, but at least it is clearly visible that it is there). There was an exit to the roof, but it is not equipped at all, just rubble poured in. There is no plug socket in the bathroom, as far as I remember, this is not allowed by local regulations. What is a hair dryer doing in the bathroom then? And yes, of course, there are sockets in the room, but here's the problem - there are no mirrors in the room at all, not to mention near the outlet. And how are your guests supposed to dry their hair, by touch? Right at the lift for all the evening anf night dirty crockery left. The Bricks restaurant is only open until midnight, even on Friday and Saturday nights. It is not surprising, judging by the people I met, the main guests are elderly Germans with their wives, they go to bed at 10 pm. I came back after midnight, I did not know the restaurant's opening hours, the lights were on, the door, including the outer door, was open. There was an employee with a phone at the entrance outside. I asked him if the restaurant was open, he gestured to his phone. Okay, you are no longer working and are busy with personal matters. Then do not stand at the entrance in uniform. As I said, the service is absolutely disgusting. I forgot my power bank in the room, called the reception by phone, the only ray of light in this dark kingdom was Nick, who gave me the lost item number and an email for contact. I wrote to them with a question about the terms of return on May 19, today is May 26, no response. I called the reception again the other day, a rude man said that he wrote down my phone number and they will call me back during the day. Guess if they called back? That's right, no one called.

With its sleek design, spacious accommodations—including family rooms and two-bedroom apartments equipped with kitchens—this hotel strikes the perfect balance between comfort and modernity. Guests can enjoy a cozy cocktail lounge, a laid-back bar & grill, and even a small spa area for relaxation after exploring the city.
Having just returned from Hamburg, we stayed in this lovely hotel. I managed to forget my jacket in the room, but the hotel and staff were kind to send it to me in Denmark. Thank you! You are awesome!

You have very good staff who showed a lot of care and understanding. My room was 5 star. Very pleased with the stay. Only downside was the locality, which had too much grafitee on buildings and it was too far away from city centre.

Still haven't answered me after I presented my claim. CLeaning service came into our room without knocking before and they woke us up at 7am the next day to ask when check out was.

Bigg rooms great locking hotell. But we found dirty underwear in the sofa bed the kidz was sleeping in when we was checking out. The manager (man in the resepsjon) was rude and not apologetically at all. So Hotell is great locking. But cleaning and service was really bad.

What a wonderful way to welcome in the new year 2024. We had a beautiful time in rainy Hamburg visiting museums, galleries, recommended restaurants and cafes. The hotel sauna was a pleasurable experience to warm up in the evenings. With the highlight of our new year getaway this charming and amazing boutique hotel. Fantastic service. Super delicious new year's eve menu with super attentive staff. The breakfast was also super delicious with a large selection from the buffet, including special requests to have cooked oat porridge. Thank you for making our stay at your hotel a memory to cherish.

Great hotel at a stone's throw from Hamburg Altona. Stayed here for a night for a business trip to Hamburg. Rooms were very spacious and well maintained. The check in and check out was also smooth and the staff were efficient. The buffet breakfast was also quite good and sumptuous. Would definitely recommend the hotel for a business visit to Hamburg.

Breakfast and Dinner was Amazing!! My party had 2 rooms and they were very nice. Big rooms. Lots of closet space. Very big bathrooms, with a separate shower and large bath tub. Beds were very comfortable. The restaurant is great and is worth going even if you're not staying at the hotel. WiFi was fast and free. Also, they had 6 electrical outlets next to the bed and 3 in the bathroom and many others in the room. Something I really liked. So convenient. The hotel was a 4 minute walk to the tram. And there's a grocery market less than a block away. Definitely recommend staying here if you can get a room, they only have 46. Underground parking was nice also.
