Clever Koi is a trendy and contemporary dining spot that brings together the comforting flavors of various Asian cuisines, including influences from Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Korea. The restaurant's vibrant menu features an array of dishes designed to tantalize your taste buds—think sweet pineapple teriyaki ribs paired with crispy pressed rice or a delightful chicken katsu sandwich drizzled with tonkatsu sauce.
If you want to eat at a cool place! This restaurant has lots of plants and a great atmosphere. I love all the beautiful variety of plants and the vibe of the restaurant. My noodles were a little too salty, but overall, it was great. The waiter was attentive and polite, and our drinks and food were prepared quickly. There is a coupon for $ 25 off if you spend $ 75 or more, and also cash back if you use the app to pay online.

The cutest place! 5 stars for atmosphere. Food was really good...not excellent, but good. Some of the appetizers weren't served hot, more like room temp, and I found the pork belly and some of the other meats a little tough, perhaps overcooked. Flavor-wise and portion-wise though, I was pleased. I also will mention that whatever Riesling was on their wine menu (didn't get a pic) was delicious! Service however...not good. Our waitress had no personality and was literally so unhelpful. She seemed like she might know some of the answers to our questions but she didn't really talk or engage with us-it was like pulling teeth. This is a fusion restaurant, so people are going to have questions about menu items and she didn't explain or even recommend anything. It still will not prevent me from going back but definitely a different waitress :)
Meghan B — Google review
The food was fantastic! The service truly stood out. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, checking in regularly and kept our waters filled without us ever having to ask. We never felt rushed, which made the whole meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great dining experience with a top-notch service!
Yesenia P — Google review
My husband and I came here with great anticipation of some good food thanks to Insta. It was on our list of foods to try in AZ. Personally, the food looked great but didn’t enjoy it . It was missing something , maybe more seasoning, it just didn’t “wow” us and we’re both foodies . The drinks were great and the servers were kind. Overall, you’re really paying for the astheics and the vibes.
Angel C — Google review
We came over to burn some time while we waited for our flight back home, delicious food and the restaurant had a nice vibe to it. We tried the 'It takes two's deal and left pretty satisfied with it. Drinks were very tasty, the lemongrass twist in the Paloma was very good. Our server, Josh, offered a great and friendly service. If we are in Phoenix again, we'll definitely stop by again!
Ariel S — Google review
We came in with a big party (10 total, 4 of them being kids). I fully expected this to cause a bit of a strain on the service, HOWEVER, it did not. This place was nothing short of amazing. We ordered about 4 different types of appetizers, 7 different cocktails, and an assortment of main dishes. The food was AMAZING. Truthfully, the appetizers alone could have been more than enough to be considered a meal, even after sharing it across the table. Nick and Sam provided amazing service and made us feel like we were regulars at this place. They offered great food and drink recommendations that did not disappoint. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a more upbeat and lively date night type of feel. Would come back and would recommend.
Angelo C — Google review
An absolute delight! It’s been years since we’ve been here. A lot has changed in both the restaurant and on the menu but it’s still such good! Everything is good and flavorful. We got the featured steam buns which were the pork and chili verde. SO GOOD! The calamari fries which were so tender, it was like biting into butter, excellent! I got the chicken ramen which was so tender and flavorful! And my husband got the pork ramen which he said was excellent as well. We also each got a drink which we asked the waiter what he thought would be a good suggestion. His suggestions were amazing! Excellent drinks! Excellent food! What more could you ask for?
Courtney S — Google review
Most of the menu looked on the heavier side so I opted for the Thai salad with chicken and added a side of kimchi. The salad was fresh and had a good flavor overall, but it was spicy. I'm not sure if it was the dressing or the crispy wontons, but the heat was a bit too much for what I wanted. The kimchi was super tasty but also super spicy. It had my nose running and everything. I'm usually someone who handles spice well, so that caught me off guard. Because of that, I have to take off a star. Overall, the service was great and I loved the ambiance. It's a super hip, stylish spot, and I'd definitely come back for more apps and drinks.

Japanese restaurant
Authentic Japanese restaurant
Sushi restaurant
Hana Japanese Eatery is a cozy, family-owned restaurant located in Central Phoenix. The restaurant takes pride in offering truly authentic Japanese cuisine with a focus on freshness. Known for its traditional Japanese dishes like tai nanbanzuke and hamachi kama, the eatery also offers house specialty sushi rolls and popular bento boxes.
I dont eat seafood (preference not allergy) so struggle to find options at Japanese restaurants but Hana has a variety of safe options!!! Big sake selection in my opinion and excellent authentic Japanese cuisine. If you have been to Japan like I have, you will be pleased with the cuisine at Hana.
Kyle O — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give more than five stars, I would. Hana Japanese Eatery is hands down my favorite sushi spot—not just in Phoenix, but in all of Arizona. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a hidden gem in Tokyo, tucked right into the heart of central Phoenix. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and authentically local—a neighborhood spot that feels both elevated and grounded. The quality of the fish is absolutely off the charts—the kind of freshness and melt-in-your-mouth perfection you usually only find oceanside. Every bite is crafted with precision and respect for the art of sushi. The presentation? Impeccable. The flavors? Unforgettable. But it’s not just the food—the service is out of this world. The staff treats you like family. They’re attentive without being overbearing and genuinely care about your experience. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality, atmosphere, and culinary excellence all align so perfectly. If you haven’t been, go. If you’ve been, you already know. Hana is the real deal.
Jeff M — Google review
Everything about the experience was amazing. From the service, where everyone helps out, to the food, which had an amazing fuji apple cream puff pie dessert. I loved spending my dinner here with my wife. It was perfect.
Charles E — Google review
I can't say enough positive remarks about Hana after taking my husband here for his birthday. Having never been, the staff was thoughtful in guiding us through sake and food suggestions. We went on a Tuesday night and perhaps a much slower evening but the level of attention we received from Lynn (owner/chef) was unparalleled. We learned about sake, ordered specials and had an amazing evening of conversation. It is clear this locally owned restaurant takes quality seriously, with meticulous plating and tons of fresh seafood items. The focus is certainly more on sushi/ raw fish items but there are noodles, tempura and entrees as well. We will certainly be back!
Carrie — Google review
Enjoyed this authentic Japanese restaurant on a whim! The service was so great and everyone extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant is casual and can be a good spot for a casual date night, meal in, or friend catch up. The food was really good and great quality! The Hana Bento Box blew away my expectations - the sashimi melted in your mouth and tasted fresh. The ramen was also good and noodles had a nice chew and broth had good umami flavor. The Sea Bass Sakamushi was good, but only came with 5 pieces (not advertised on menu about pieces) for $25 - so pricey for the quantity.
Amanda — Google review
Here’s a little trick to see if a place is authentic Japanese. If they offer one or all of these three dishes: - Chawanmushi - Chirashi - Yamakake If they offer none of these, unlikely to be authentic If they offer one of these, good chance they are. Hana is fairly authentic Japanese and that’s rare indeed. Recommend the Bento and most everything else. They also offer Natto off-menu, as well as Chirashi. Hat’s off to Lynn and crew.
Richard R — Google review
The food was beyond what we expected. Lived in the neighborhood forever, when we were blessed to have our plans changed to go here. Best thing to ever happen. The workers are sweet and accommodating. The atmosphere is fresh and quiet & the food just melts in your mouth 😍 definitely have to order the oyster shooters as it brightens your pallet … the only complaint I had is every place I’ve been to the tamago is light and sweet as here there was no sweetness just straight egg but didn’t change my review at all the rest of the food will have you coming back!!💕 ( would love to add photos but for some reason won’t load)
Raven M — Google review
It's important for restaurants to let diners know at the time of seating if the kitchen is badly backed up. As I type this review, we've been waiting for over an hour to receive our food. Had we been told before we ordered that there would be a wait, we would have reconsidered or at least been better prepared. Instead, only after we ordered, we were told that there would be a "slight wait." It's dishonest when restaurants do this, and it makes me reluctant to return. Please consider being upfront with customers when there is a delay *before* we order. It's the right thing to do. The food we finally did receive was not our full order, but it was good. We chose to cut our losses and not wait even longer for the rest of our food. (We were also billed for food we didn't even order.) Not coming back.

Ramen restaurant
Cocktail bar
SoSoBa Phoenix is a trendy hangout located in the vibrant Roosevelt Row neighborhood, offering unconventional noodle dishes, shareable plates, and craft cocktails until late. Originally from Flagstaff, this ramen shop has been serving up belly-warming noodles since 2016. In addition to classic ramen options, they also offer vegan spring rolls, housemade gyoza, and pillowy bao buns.
Delicious ramen and appetizers. Purchased the Tantanmen and Mic Drop, savory broth with thick flavorful noodles. The service was friendly and proficient. Great experience, will absolutely eat here again!
CheshireCat88 — Google review
The sweet chile calamari was good and the ambience of the restaurant is nice with a pleasant patio area. Unfortunately this is not somewhere we would go again. The ramen broths for both the Mic Drop and the Katsu were lacking flavor. The lime in the carnitas and the addition of kimchi for the Mic Drop felt out of place, and the Katsu was overall unappetizing.
Rhi H — Google review
Recommended here by a friend and also saw so much hype on tiktok!!! And yes I'd recommend you to come here as well. The food is SO GOOD! It's also nice for a cute date night. I will say, it can be difficult finding parking because it is located in downtown but it'll be worth your steps!
Anastasia N — Google review
The ramen is not bad. The chewiness of the noodle is perfect for me. However what did bother me is the length of the noodle is shorter than what I am used to but it is still good. The broth is perfectly seasoned. I got tantanmen. Overall it is great! Perfectly spiced and seasoned.
Jakkc728 — Google review
Super cool noodle spot that pulls flavors from all over Asia—not your typical Japanese ramen joint, but in a good way. The menu is small but everything sounds so good we had a hard time choosing. We sat outside where they had cute Japanese lanterns, which made the vibe even better. Our server was really friendly and chill—not hovering, just super helpful. We got the Mic Drop—really flavorful broth and loaded with toppings. The kimchi gave it a nice kick and kept it from feeling too heavy. Also tried the Hostile takeover with mushroom broth (went with udon noodles instead of rice noodles) and it was delicious. The bulgogi beef was super tender and the hoisin on top added a fun touch. Would totally come back!
T Y — Google review
I traveled to Japan a lot and loved the small cool vibe Soba dining spots sprinkled through Tokyo and Osaka. New York, San Francisco, and Seattle pull that off as well. SoSoBa did not. It was So So but noBa. The vibe was missing. The service was lethargic and detached. The Calamari was on top of a bit salad but was oily and just no magic. I added some noodles afterward to add something more, but just blah. There is nothing special with this. $25.00 with tip for lunch. I wouldn't visit again. I was staying at the Foundre, so it is close by. Blah is my one word describing the experience.
David G — Google review
If you like ramen this is the place to go. Quiet and good food. We usually get the Mic drop. And the pork bao buns.
Mayita M — Google review
We're on a mission to find the best of everything in the valley, and that certainly includes ramen. This spot was recommended by a lyft passenger, and it did not disappoint. The bao buns were soft and delectable, the soup was rich and flavorful. We tried the katsu with udon and ramen with steak. It turns out I'm not personally a fan of katsu in a soup, but I do recommend both noodles highly. For our friends, the menu contains vegetarian and vegan options of both apps and entrees. There's a limited beer and wine menu, as well as a fairly extensive imported liquor menu, which is sure to bring us back again; it definitely has potential for future dates. We enjoyed the atmosphere, which was intimate and welcoming.

Ramen restaurant
Nishikawa Ramen is a newcomer to the Valley and serves some of the best ramen in town. Their tonkotsu broth is always a classic and their gyoza are also excellent. Their takoyaki is also surprisingly good, with a crisp and creamy texture with a nice nugget of octopus in the center.
After shopping at IKEA in Tempe we decided to drive all the way to NishiKawa to dine in. First time and I was very impressed with the service, food and location. It felt like I was in Japan again eating at a shokodo. Authentic and simply Japan style.
Garie C — Google review
I visited Nishikawa Ramen on a Monday night around 6pm. The restraunt was busy at this time with almost all the seating being used. My waitress came by fairly quickly and was very friendly. I ordered the Tonkontsu Ramen, extra spicy. It took less than 10 minutes for my food to arrive. The ramen was very good, broth was tasty, and it was spicy to my liking. The 1 thing i think could be improved would be the quality of the noodles. They were a little thin, although they make up for it by giving you a little more in your bowl than other restraunts. The total cost came to $16.29 and was well worth it. I would definitely recommend trying this place out.
Steve M — Google review
Came here a month ago and the food was delicious 🤤. I may not know how to use chopsticks but I loved the ramen😋😋😋 the gyoza was amazing too. They’re nice and hot 😍😍😍
Jacquelyn B — Google review
Excellent small place. Just enjoy the food. The service is quick. The ramen is good. The inside seating is small but adequate. This ain’t the place where board meetings will be done but it’s a place where friends go and chill over a cup of ramen.
Roadtrip C — Google review
Decent food for a decent price. We had the black garlic ramen, really yummy pork gyoza, and egg rolls. The ramen was HEAVY and I needed something light in between bites to clear my pallet but it was full of flavor. The pork was AMAZING but I do wish the noodles weren’t so thin though. They had anime playing which I thought was cool!
Haley C — Google review
The ramen is awesome! Not too spicy, but will tease your tongue and satisfy your stomach. Will recommend.
Andrew C — Google review
I would have never heard of this place had a friend not mentioned it. My curiosity got the best of me and I had to try it. If you like Ramen soup then this is the place for you. It is a small restaurant so space is limited. They also close at 230pm and reopen around 5pm. The environment is cozy, friendly service and quick service of food. Decided to try their chicken ramen soup ... the one with curry flavor 😋 and it was so flavorful for sure. I like curry and this curry was light so it didn't have a strong taste which I loved. Not to shabby when it comes to pricing but I feel that the serving size is on the smaller portions. When it's compared to Cherry Blossoms in which there is a difference in portion size. I like hearty portions versus having a skinny soup. If you want extras or vegetables that is extra so be prepared to pay for that. Otherwise, not to bad for first timer to this place. The only downside is no refillable on drinks because its canned soda or water or sake drinks. I was sad to learn that they didn't even serve iced tea. Happy dining and eating 😋
Dr. L — Google review
This place is well reviewed and I wanted to like it more than I did. This is a review of the Tonkotsu ramen which is all I had. Basics: it had a bone broth base but it was a bit thin and lacked flavor. The noodles were on the thinner side but were well cooked. Pretty traditional in terms of other ingredients. They asked if I wanted a soft or hard egg. Maybe it's my fault for saying soft but it was very soft and not the gummy, gel like consistency I'm used to. The white outside was fine, cooked, and appeared lightly marinated but it didn't have much flavor. There was a single piece of Chasu which was decent in size and about 1/4 inch thick. Probably my biggest disappointment was the flavor of the Chasu which lacked flavor and honestly tasted a little old. Overall it was pretty good. I would eat it again but nothing I would crave or go out of my way for.

Ramen restaurant
Restaurant
Tampopo Ramen is a cozy Japanese eatery located in a strip mall in Tempe, Arizona. Specializing in hakata-style ramen and tonkotsu broth, this spot offers a variety of options for both seasoned ramen enthusiasts and newcomers to the dish. The restaurant prides itself on making fresh noodles in-house daily and serves up flavorful pork broth with slices of pork, scallions, wood ear mushrooms, and soft-boiled egg.
This is a ramen store that I would go to every weekend if I could. The restaurant is small and cozy. It is always busy so make sure you come early if you come with a big group. Their ramen is delicious, my favorite one is Tonkotsu, the soup is so fragrance with the perfect chasu, grill pork belly cook to perfection, I always order extra because that is how good they are. Their noodle is so tender but yet cuper bouncy with each bite. I highly recommend order extra noodle because that thing is so addictive. We also order Takoyaki and Agedashi Tofu for appetizer, which are delicious. The Soymilk base vegetarian ramen, and I quote from my partner “The broth is to die for”. The service is super fast and friendly, I highly recommend this place if your date loves animate and Japanese cuisine.
Mr.K — Google review
Not the same. We’ve been coming to Tampopo Remen for years and everything we had is just…noticeably different than it used to be. This used to be our top ramen place to go and now my daughter doesn’t want to go back. The service was quick and friendly. The tontatsu ramen was ok, but not amazing like it used to be. My daughter was disappointed in the shio ramen. The chicken karage is now served with mayo instead of the salt seasoning it used to be.
Ben D — Google review
One of my favorite ramen places in all of Arizona! They take great care with the ramen and it's always delicious. The staff is great and I will keep coming back here!! Try the appetizers too - I've never gotten one I didn't love.
Sonoma S — Google review
Our favorite weekend go to. My husband and I love the flavor and the legitimacy of the broth being used. The place is small, cozy and perfect for a go-to-ramen-craving-spot. Their mochi icream (matcha flavor) is actually really good! As a matcha lover, I can say that the matcha is ceremonial.
Yricka M — Google review
I came here a when they first opened and thought the broth and fresh noodles were bomb. I don't know why I never came back until now, it's still fantastic and my 12 year old son said he was the best Ramen he's ever had. He would say he's an conissour. 🤣
Kristy H — Google review
Authentic and amazing! You can see them making the ramen, and the ambience is great with generous serving sizes. The ultra spicy ramen, wings, and mocha mochi were all delicious.
Shiva S — Google review
Ordered some ramen and it was very rich and flavorful! I am looking forward to ordering some gyoza next time
Doran C — Google review
Long time comer, and was utterly dissapointed. Ordered the mentaiko-don, and got it still frozen. I'm not here to complain about the fact that food is frozen, but when you can't even thaw it properly the night before... Moreover, the one they served me was clearly nuked in the microwave, which causes some of the roe to get cooked (as pictured some of the roe is white) There is a proper way to defrost something, and this wasn't it. Really dissapointed in the lack of care for food

Sushi restaurant
OBON Sushi Bar Ramen is a trendy spot located in Scottsdale Quarter, offering a modern twist on traditional sushi and Japanese cuisine. The restaurant features stylish decor, including a patio for outdoor dining. The menu showcases an array of sushi rolls, ramen bowls, and creative cocktails with a nostalgic touch.
Great experience at Obon recently while visiting Scottsdale. Great atmosphere inside as well as on the patio where we ate. Friendly service and a nice selection of appetizer & dinner options. We ended up ordering and sharing some small plates and sushi and enjoyed everything. Notable dishes were definitely the pork belly bao buns, sushi rolls, and the pork belly & cucumber hot plate. We also enjoyed the crispy rice sampler and vegetable tempura.

Ambiance is great, clean and modern. Food is savory. We brag about the ramen to family and friends. Made the mistake of getting fried rice and it was so salty tonight, as salty as the sea and more. Server was lovely and corrected issue. Sushi 🍣 was fantastic. Great place to go for the RAMEN! I think it’s a winner with their white mushroom broth.

As soon as our drinks arrived I knew this was going to be a good night. I ordered a black tea old fashioned that just knocked my socks off. Rather than order individual dinners we ordered a whole bunch of small plates. As they started coming out I was totally impressed with presentation and the flavor on everything was really great. The cucumber salad was really delicious. Calamari was not to be missed. The bao buns are really really great. Service was exceptional. We sat outside on a beautiful evening on really nice comfortable patio

This was my first time visiting OBON while traveling to Scottsdale. The sushi 🍣 was fresh, and the customer service was warm and friendly. If it matters to the owners, your bathroom faucet 🚰 in the men's restroom is missing a valve; you might want to replace it and clean up the bathroom while you are at it.

Our first time in Phoenix!! Excellent Service! We had an outstanding experience thanks to our waiter, Austin From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and professional. He offered helpful menu recommendations, and made sure everything arrived promptly and exactly as ordered. His warm attitude and attention to detail truly elevated our dining experience. We’ll definitely be coming back and asking for Austin again! If you're looking for top tier sushi, this place is an absolute gem. The sushi was incredibly fresh — melt in your mouth quality and beautifully presented. Every piece was crafted with precision, from the buttery rolls to the perfectly balanced nigiri. The rice was seasoned just right, and you could tell the chefs care deeply about their craft.

Great food and service! I highly recommend ordering the Fukushu and The Hafu speciality rolls! Also the signature cocktails are all great!

I had lunch with my mom at Obon in Scottsdale and it was a really nice experience. We shared the pineapple house sake, a poke bowl, and the street noodles, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The space was comfortable and relaxed, and the service was friendly without being rushed. It made for an easy and enjoyable lunch spot that I’d be glad to visit again.

Obon has been our FAVORITE restaurant to go to at the Quarter for the last 2 years. So during my last visit when I saw the bartender, serving Ginger and Wasabi from right under the bar/water pipes, I was extremely disgusted. Food should not be store underneath such a filthy place. You can visibly see how much dust/dirt/oil has built up on the pipes and how it’s just hanging over the items being served to customers. I’ve never seen anything like this before. As someone who works at the Quarter regularly, this is something I have warned my co-workers at the store about since going and really hope you all fix the issue. Your customers deserve better.

Ramen restaurant

Nestled in a cozy strip mall, Hachi Ramen is a delightful eatery that has quickly become a favorite among ramen enthusiasts in Tempe, Arizona. Since its debut in 2017, this charming spot has garnered attention for its comforting atmosphere and delicious offerings. While the menu may be concise, featuring only a handful of ramen varieties alongside some tasty sides and desserts, it’s all about quality over quantity here.
Just finished my first experience at Hachi Ramen, and I have to say it was an impressive one. The presentation alone was spectacular. It looked so well-crafted that I didn’t even know where to start. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, though I was a bit unsure about the tare used. The staff mentioned it was a tonkotsu base but didn’t specify whether it leaned toward shoyu, miso, or another style. Looking at the menu, they do offer different tares, so I wonder if this particular bowl uses a special in-house blend. The broth was lighter than I expected from a tonkotsu, but not in a bad way. In fact, it felt like a great option for when I’m craving ramen but don’t want something overly heavy, especially on a warm day. The aroma of the restaurant alone suggested that the chef is highly experienced, and the broth delivered. I enjoyed it as it was but found that adding white pepper really enhanced the flavor even further. The chashu was easily the highlight of the dish. It was one of the best pork belly chashu cuts I’ve had, perfectly tender with a slightly sweet profile and a fantastic smokiness. The seasoned egg was well-cured, though it was just slightly shy of that ideal jammy texture. The menma was absolutely addictive, and I could eat an entire plate of it by itself. The kikurage and green onions were fresh and well-portioned, adding a nice balance to the bowl. Instead of the standard thin noodles that typically accompany tonkotsu ramen, I opted for the thicker, chewier noodles, and I’m glad I did. They had the perfect bite and paired beautifully with the broth. I appreciate that Hachi Ramen allows for customization in this way. The chashu was so exceptional that by the end of my meal, I decided to upgrade to the chashu fried rice along with a kikurage ramen combo. This was another absolute win. Each grain of rice was cooked properly, separate and not clumped together, just as great fried rice should be. The pickled ginger was a fantastic touch, balancing the dish perfectly. Hachi Ramen delivered a fantastic experience with high-quality ingredients and an expertly crafted bowl. The chashu was a clear standout, and the option to switch up noodle styles was a welcome touch. I’ll definitely be back, especially to try their tsukemen, which will be my first time having it. I’m looking forward to seeing how they execute it. Would I recommend Hachi Ramen? Absolutely. If you’re a ramen lover, especially one who appreciates exceptional chashu, this spot is worth a visit.

My partner and I came on a Friday night and the restaurant was full (including their bar). We were told a 10-15 minute wait, which ended up being closer to 20, but wasn't a big deal. The waitress was very nice and greeted us as soon as we walked in, and tried to get us orders within a timely manner. We ended up getting the chicken karaage, Hachi Special with extra cha shu, and the tsukemen. The karaage was lightly breaded and comes with a slice of lemon and some cabbage. It was freshly fried and came out piping hot, so be careful before you take that first bite! It was definitely good karaage, although for $7.25 I wish I had 1-2 more pieces. If you're craving chicken karaage, I think this will satisfy your itch, but I wouldn't say you're missing out if you don't order it. The tsukemen came as a thick broth with an ever thicker piece of cha shu in it. The broth is very flavorful, although more fishy than either my partner or I anticipated. It comes with a healthy portion of noodles as well as 1/2 an egg. The cha shu was definitely the best part of this dish, as it was salty, juicy, somewhat sweet, and tied the whole dish together. By the end of the dish, I did feel like it was getting a little to salty for me as a whole though. 3.5-4/5. The Hachi special was a very healthy portion of noodles and sides. We opted to add corn and extra cha shu. With all that, we ended up not being able to finish it and we took it home and it was still a good enough serving for the next day. The cha shu here was once again the best part of this meal, more thinly cut but just as flavorful. The noodles in both dishes were chewy and cooked well. I personally would have liked it a little more al dente, but my partner liked hers the way it was. All in all, Hachi is a good ramen spot that has good traditional flavor. If you like a thicker soup with a more intense flavor, this is probably a good place for you. I think it's reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. The 4/5 comes from the food being a little too salty for our taste by the end of the meal. Otherwise, good price and better service/vibes.

Tonkotsu ramen was pretty tasty. Their pork belly cha-shu and boiled egg were unexpectedly delicious with some sweet flavor. It is like a desert. Also had fried rice. I like it but it was not what I expected for fried rice. Overall rating is good. I will come back soon.

Hands down, some of the most delicious food I had recently. We ordered Hachi Special, Spicy Miso, Tsukemen, Karaage and Chashu Fried Rice and were absolutely delicious! The food was beautifully presented, the taste is very authentic (no MSG and they make their food from scratch. Very safe for kids) and cook to perfection. Highly recommend!

Love the way we were greeted as we walked in. The presentation of each ramen bowl and side dishes were amazing. Gave us a run down of what we would expect in taste, spiciness, and described each ramen bowls flavor with detail. The guy helping us even offered his recommendations and he did not disappoint. We ordered the spicy miso soup and tonkatsu with a side of fried rice . And every dish was a 10/10 . We will definitely come again.

Ramen Kagawa is a cozy, counter-service restaurant located in Downtown Phoenix. Since its opening in late 2020, it has become a popular spot for traditional Japanese cuisine, particularly known for its savory ramens and spicy miso tonkotsu. The menu also features vegan options, bento boxes, pork ribs, Japanese fried chicken, and takoyaki.
Absolutely cannot say enough about the ramen. It was delicious and I will definitely be going back. The atmosphere was also very relaxed and comfortable. Prices are fair, for two people we spent 55 with tip.

Delicious ramen at a reasonable price! The appetizers were great too. Gyoza and seaweed salad. The waitress was kinda annoyed with us for wanting to split the check in a weird way, but what can ya do.

my first meal here was sooo good! got the karaage to start which wasn't as crispy as i had anticipated but had an amazing flavor and juiciness ☺️ as well as the yuzu cocktail, light and refreshing. i also had the tokyo shoyu ramen which was delicious, perfectly filling, and had the most amazing chicken i've ever tasted in my life. got the taiyaki for dessert and was instantly obsessed, a taste and texture that will have you coming back again and again 🩷 our server was attentive and cheerful, and had some great suggestions! i can't recommend ramen kagawa enough, i have got to come back for more taiyaki asap

I really enjoy ramen and as a result, I am always on the hunt for ramen recommendations. i've been to this place a couple of times with friends and it never, ever disappoints. I had the creamy vegetarian ramen and it was so delicious. Even my carnivore boyfriend was jealous and kept asking for bites (he got the tonkotsu and he said he enjoyed it as well). The service is great and I highly recommend asking for a soft boiled egg. They're cold, keep that in mind! But oh my god, so good. I highly recommend this place, its my 2nd favorite ramen shop of ALL time.

Service was great. Server was friendly and nice. Food was not good at all. Ramen was too salty, eggs were cold, meat did not taste fresh, noodles were cheap. Waitress did ask if they could remake it which I appreciated, but I didn’t enjoy the taste at all. Couldn’t even drink few spoons of the ramen soup unfortunately.

Friends and I wanted to try this place after first day of Phoenix Fan Fusion, wait time was 20 mins which wasn't bad, we sat down, got drinks (I got the matcha ipa, very good for a beer), we all got ramen and I got the matcha tiramisu, got our food very quickly and was very good, checked on us constantly to make sure all was good. Definitely would recommend coming back and eating there again next time were up there.

Great ramen! The straight golden noodles are tasty and served with plenty of bite. The broth is even hot enough to warrant proper slurping at first--and the long cook quality of it really shines through. Come here if you want a low key Ramen joint that focuses on one thing, and does it well. The staff are friendly, the Sapporo is frosty cold and the ramen is delicious! Did I mention the bowl was bigger than my head? The BOWL WAS BIGGER THAN MY HEAD! The egg is extra, but worth it. It's done proper soft with a nice almost-jelly yolk (I just more of the soaking flavor carried through) The noodles are the star of the show, and if you have the belly room I would definitely considering getting an extra helping. The broth was so good I even ate my leafy greens, and I usually toss those from my ramen. The only slight knock was that I found the pork slices a bit tough with some connective tissue making it hard to bite through, but it could just have been my cut. I only got a chance to try the Hokkaido style, and the butter really makes the broth even creamier. I will definitely be back next time I'm in PHX to try the other bowls, and some favourites like Karaage. Bonus points for being walkable from the downtown hotels! Great for a Ramen getaway.

Nestled in a lively strip mall along Camelback Road, Cherryblossom Noodle Cafe is a delightful fusion eatery that brings together the best of Asian and Italian cuisine. This contemporary cafe offers an eclectic menu featuring everything from savory ramen and sushi to hearty pasta dishes like spicy curry beef linguini and ika mentai (chile squid) pasta. Diners can also indulge in unique appetizers such as whole baby calamari or crunchy Cajun shrimp.
Food is delicious. Various amounts of Ramen, Japanese’s noodles, etc. there are other food items as well. Sushi. Steak. Appetizers. Strawberry lemonade drink was super tasty. I ordered udon noodles which were noodles on the thicker size but very soft texture wise. Shrimps pork etc. desert selection is minimal but from what’s seen looks amazing. Would definitely come back again.

This place sounds like a real gem if you're after authentic Japanese food. Forget those watered-down "cafe" versions – they're bringing the real deal. The staff gets a thumbs up for being kind and decent, which always makes a dining experience better. And it sounds like you get your money's worth with delicious food that doesn't break the bank and leaves you feeling satisfied with the portion sizes. You're really digging the Showa era "Yoshokuya" vibe, huh? That's cool – it's always great when a place has a distinct atmosphere. But the real kicker seems to be those authentic Japanese shortcakes. You're right, they can be tough to find around here, so that's a major win for them. Bottom line? You're highly recommending Cherryblossom Noodle Cafe, and it sounds like a spot worth checking out for anyone craving genuine Japanese flavors and a unique, nostalgic feel.

I ate here almost a month ago and I’m still thinking about it!! I went with one of my girls on a whim and what a delight, this was the best lowkey heater restaurant we could’ve chosen. We went it a little over two hours before close and that place was popping. We were sat right away at one of the last open tables. Everything was reasonable priced and definitely cooked with love. The Thai tea? Absolute banger, one of my fav Thai teas I’ve had to date. We then started w pan fried dumplings also another hit! I also ordered the spicy salmon roll which was okay but that wasn’t the main event so I wasn’t bothered. Even though we’re at the heat of the summer I ordered the Naruto ramen bowl and Oh. My. God. As I write about it my mouth is watering. The broth was so rich and full of flavor I wanna drown in it. From the pork to the little ramen toppings I was a fan of it all. The best part? It tasted even better the next day when I reheated it!! Our servers name was Lucy and that girl took such great care of us, shout out to Lucy. I cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu!! 4.5/5 stars in my book tbh

She even made some great suggestions for what to get! I got the Shoyu Ramen and I can’t recommend it enough! This is my new favorite noodle place!

This place is such a GEM! My photos are super low quality because I was not planning on leaving a review, but I was so happy with my experience that I wanted to give Cherryblossom all the stars! The large variety of cuisine/food options had us a bit indecisive at first, but our server, Yuka, was so helpful and kind - she’s the kind of person you want to come back to a restaurant for and become a Regular at! I was in a soup mood and was thinking to do the Ramen, but she gave the best suggestion of the beef hot pot udon, and it did NOT disappoint! it was the decided dinner winner :) The bento box wasn’t on the menu (might be a weekend special? Not sure), but Yuka suggested it as well, and the variety of food, portions, and flavors of each component left us very satisfied! I was not planning on doing dessert, but after seeing the display and learning everything was made in-house, we had to. We opted for the Beautiful berry mousse - so yummy and light! Perfect ending to a lovely dining experience.

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants in AZ. Honestly, you'd be missing out on some amazing food if you decide to pass this place up. The food is 10/10 delicious, I live far and made the drive for my birthday, now I'm just sad I don't live closer. The Katsu Chicken was crispy and juicy, with a beautifully deep flavored Japanese curry on top. They were paired with fluffy-perfectly-cooked rice, and a delightfully fresh salad with a dressing that tasted light but full for flavor. Atmosphere: 10/10 we listened to some Jazz while eating and enjoying the sounds of the monsoon rain. The cafe was clean and the lighting was just right for cozy vibes. The desserts? 10/10! We tried a slice of the rosemary-vanilla cake with lavander, and it was like I blinked and it disappeared too quickly. The cake was the perfect sweetness, it was delicate and sweet, but not cloyingly so, which I feel like that is rare to come by especially for these particular flavors! I've had wedding cakes that couldn't hold a candle to this cake. The vanilla flavor brought the rosemary and lavander flavors together in perfect harmony. The lovely workers here? Also 10/10! They were attentive, hard working, and so sweet! I can't reccomend this wonderful establishment enough 🩷

I tried the mapo tofu app & katsu bowl — sooo delish, but I gotta say the donkatsu bowl stole my heart ❤️ Located in a cozy plaza with plenty of parking & great service. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving comfort food with a twist! #HiddenGem

Really great spot for sushi, ramen, and classic Italian pasta dishes, which is a kind of strange mix but it works. The fish they use for the sushi might either be cured or seasoned, I'm not sure, but it has the best texture and flavor anywhere in the valley other than very high end sushi places. The ramen is good, and at about 11-13 dollars a bowl is very reasonably priced. The sauces they use for the Italian pasta are also really good, some of the best bolognese I've had in AZ. Also they are extremely affordable, as of 2025 they haven't raised prices much at all and it's pretty easy to keep each persons bill under 25, or go a little further and get a variety of dishes. And despite how inexpensive it is the portions are generous.

Dim sum restaurant

Restaurant
Nestled in a modest strip mall, Great Wall Cuisine is a hidden gem in Phoenix that specializes in Hong Kong-style dim sum, available every day of the week. This vibrant eatery features an array of delightful small plates, including shrimp dumplings and pork buns, served from charming dim sum carts that glide through the dining area. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere and dedicated staff create a warm experience for both locals and visitors alike.
My family has been going here for decades. Food is authentic and excellent if you know what to order. The atmosphere is usually chaotic and crowded on weekends during dim sum hours, so keep that in mind if you’re easily overstimulated. We recently had from their regular menu the lobster stir-fried with ginger sauce (prepared with black bean sauce is tasty, too!), Peking duck, scallops with black bean sauce, salt and pepper fried chicken, steamed ginger sea bass, chicken chow mein, fried rice with BBQ pork/Chinese sausage, seafood soup with shrimp/tofu/egg flower/mushrooms, shrimp with walnuts and cream sauce (shrimp were gigantic!), and mixed veggies in a savory sauce. Because we couldn’t resist, we also grabbed some coconut buns, egg tarts (probably my favorite), and har gow from the dim sum carts. It was a fantastic birthday lunch!
Laura P — Google review
This is my go-to spot for dim sum! The service can be hit or miss—it really depends on where you’re seated. That said, I keep coming back because the dim sum is consistently delicious. I’ve only tried their dim sum, and I highly recommend sampling everything that comes around on those carts! If you’ve never experienced dim sum before, you’re in for a real treat. Pro tip: go right when they open. The staff is more attentive, and the food is at its freshest, straight from the kitchen. Some must-tries: the chow mein, shrimp shumai, flat rice noodles with shrimp and sweet soy sauce, sticky rice, tripe, and chicken feet (an acquired taste, but worth trying).
Rose K — Google review
What have I been doing with my life? Why haven't I been actively seeking out the Chinese Churasco experience that is dim sum? Could the earth be flat? I may have to question everything going forward if I haven't known about the miracle that is dim sum until this late stage in my life. I wasn't able to try everything I wanted to because there is just too much. I would advise pulling up the menu on your phone to be clear about what dish you want. This place is going to be a culinary ambassador for our out of town guests going forward and a staple in our rotation.
Ryan W — Google review
One of the best family dinners I’ve had in a while — Great Wall does not disappoint. Let’s start with the lobster yee mein — the noodles are imported straight from Hong Kong, and you can absolutely tell. They’re perfectly springy, soaked in the lobster’s rich sauce, and just full of umami. The lobster itself was fresh and tender, no rubbery texture at all. Easily the highlight of the night. But a surprise favorite was the ginger scallion frog. If you’ve never had frog before, this is the dish to try it. The meat was super tender and had that clean, slightly sweet flavor that’s often compared to chicken but even more delicate. The ginger, scallions, and light garlic sauce gave it so much depth without overpowering the natural taste of the frog. Cooked just right — no chewiness, no dryness, just flavorful bites all the way through. We also had classics like salt and pepper pork chops, sweet and sour pork, concubine chicken, fried rice, and stir-fried green beans. Everything came out hot and fresh, and portions were generous — great for sharing around a big lazy Susan. As for the service, it was excellent. The staff was super attentive without being pushy. Dishes arrived fast and in good order, and they were great about clearing plates and checking in just enough. You really felt like they cared about your experience, even though the place was busy. If you’re looking for an authentic Chinese banquet-style meal with quality ingredients and solid service, Great Wall should be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be returning with friends and family again soon.

Everything was really yummy, and it's not super expensive. We paid about thirty dollars a person on an eight person table, and the only reason I haven't given it five stars is because I don't understand why they just stopped serving. At one point they just quit coming around with the carts and we weren't done eating because some of our party got stuck in flood traffic. We will definitely be back. And hopefully we have a five star experience next time. Thank you

Went for dimsum. It was delicious and very tasty. The shrimp and scallop dumpling wasnt worth the hype. The scallops were missing. The dimsums were served in the traditional push carts. The service was so so. We have to flag our wait staff each time we needed something, like refill the tea kettle, need chili sauce and to go boxes. Its a very busy place.

Your typical push cart dim sum establishment. We got there at 10am when they opened on Sunday and it was 3/4 full by 10:07. It fills up quick! The dim sum items were big, good for the price. We spent about $50 for two people.

Hot Noodles, Cold Sake is a newly opened restaurant in Scottsdale that offers a variety of traditional Japanese ramen dishes such as goma, shoyu, miso, shrimp, and even vegan options. The menu also includes sides like salads, gyoza, and edamame. Chef Josh Hebert's expertise in presenting authentic ramen is evident in the carefully crafted dishes. The restaurant provides an elegant dining experience with a clean and well-organized kitchen.
Best bowl of Ramen in the greater Phoenix area, hands down. Every kind is worth trying, but my personal favorite is the Shoyu. The Onsen egg add-on is crucial, it's like an ultra soft boiled egg that almost melts in the bowl. The cured egg that comes with the Shoyu is also the best around, I've never had another like it. The owner who started it is a chef, and it very clearly shows from the second you walk in. Elegant digs with a clean and well organized kitchen. It doesn't feel cluttered, even though it's a small spot. I don't give many 5 stars out but I love this place, it's a true gem

Enjoyed a HOT bowl of RAMEN. So yes the name speaks for itself. VEGAN Ramen that tasted good. The mushrooms were tender but meaty, the noodles had a nice tooth and overall a satisfying lunch. Stop by. Chef and owner is passionate about his Ramen, presentation is spot on pleasing to the eye.

I, along with everyone else I'm sure, have been on this Ramen kick and have been looking for the best in town. After trying about 5-6 places now, I can say that this place is probably one of my top 2, if not the top. Every component of the dish has a burst of unique flavor and I believe this place has the most authentic egg. I really like this place and the staff but could care less on how they make you order and input your meal yourself on the computer.

Hope my experience is rare exception. But I myself can not justify other favorable reviews. The ramen was just not rightly done. Soup was lukewarm and not enough portion for the bowl. Noodle wasn't cooked completely - like needed 30 more seconds at the hot tube. Toppings were cold, bean sprouts was added raw- authentic Japanese style serve this steamed, pan fried or torched. Soup was way too salty- not watered down to correct portion. Hence, rarely for me, I could not finish this ramen. I give 4 star for the staff working that day trying help placing on order and generally polite. 2 star for the food.

Friendly service, but the food was mediocre at best. I wanted so badly to like it, since the people working there are so nice, but the vegan ramen tasted like almost nothing, and the miso ramen came with such a quantity of butter melting in it that it was almost too rich to consume. Also, for $14 at dinner, I'd expect at least a little more thought to be put into vegan ramen, which can be delicious when done right.

Omoide Sushi and Noodle is a sushi restaurant with quickly seating that serves high-quality cuisine. It can be found in the newly renovated Arizona Center shopping complex.
They have really fantastic rolls, and they are all reasonably priced. Around $15 or $16 a roll. The fish is very high-quality and very well prepared. I will definitely be coming back.

the food is fresh, cooked perfectly. Place is a bit dingy and service lacks a great deal. But they do have take out. i had pork ramen and fried shrimp tempura app. everything tasted very good, and the vegetables were quite fresh. Better to use as a take-out than a dine in place.... It took about 15 minutes to be acknowledged standing at the register to order. then i had to wait another 10 just to order. i had to wipe down the table i ate at. quite dirty. But the food really is good.

Pros: location is great, atmosphere is just fine, staff were friendly, food came out very quickly. Cons: very low quality ramen. To be honest, this was the lowest quality ramen I’ve ever had at a restaurant. At this price point, I didn’t expect Michelin star, mind blowing, amazingly complex flavors that make it taste like we’re actually in Japan. BUT I did expect it to taste somewhat elevated from the Top Ramen chicken flavor packs I used to make for 50 cents in college. This is exactly how my “spicy Korean ramen” tasted. In fact, I would bet a lot of money that those are the exact noodles that were in my order. It had the exact flavor and texture of a 50 cent Top Ramen chicken flavor pack. Which, doesn’t taste horrible in and of itself, but that’s not what I’m going to a restaurant for. I paid extra to add chicken and it was just a few small pebbles of dark meat. The ratio of vegetables and protein to noodles was really really low for a typical ramen restaurant. Calling what I ordered spicy Korean was a lie. It’s not either. There was a slight orange tinge to the broth which makes me think there’s probably a tiny amount of gochujang present, but not enough to make it spicy or Korean in any meaningful way. Truly the only flavor I tasted while eating this whole bowl was that of Top Ramen chicken flavor seasoning pack. Also, the edamame were very dry and some pods were browning. It had to have been old and microwaved instead of fresh and steamed. I’m really disappointed as I was trying to branch out from my usual ramen spots. I will just stick to the spots nearby that I know are good. Only way I’d come back is if I had a mad case of the drunk munchies and just wanted anything warm and salty. I see reviews here saying the sushi and other entrees are good, but idk if I want to risk this same level of disappointment again. Don’t come here for any level of authenticity or high quality. Come here if you’re drunk, I guess.

I was staying at the AC Hotel right next door and after all day at the airport and haven’t ate it was the quickest and easiest thing. Let’s start with the good. The server who took my to go order was very nice and helped with the menu. The sushi tasted fresh and it was put together and presented nicely. A+ The gyoza was your normal run of the mill frozen ones. Nothing spectacular however they were fried nicely and were still nice and hot when I got back to the room. B- The ramen however, like the other reviews, looked and tasted like store bought noodles. The broth while nice didn’t really give me that WOW factor or make me fall in love with it. It was missing a couple of key components where it would have been mind blowing. C

Service was fast. Food was hot and sushi was fresh. The spicy tuna was actually spicy. The Avocado on top was barely there. The salad dressing is unique. Miso was good. Good pricing. Menu has a variety of options. The inside is a bit cramped. No bathroom available. Restaurant was clean. Not bad for a little shop in a mall/outlet center overall

I’m so glad I discovered this gem hidden inside the Arizona Center! The selection of noodles, ramen, and sushi is impressive, and the flavors are incredibly authentic. I had the Arizona roll and Pad Thai—both 10/10. The fish for the nigiri and sashimi was so fresh. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back soon and I’m recommending everyone try them out!

Firstly, I love the ambiance of this little restaurant, makes the most of its space. The staff greeted me immediately and I was even more impressed. I’m only visiting Phoenix, but I wish I had tried them the first day I was here, I ordered their spider roll, and I am going to be depressed that I may never be so lucky as to eat from there again. What an experience! Soft shell crab among a perfect blend of ingredients, left me absolutely satisfied. If you visit Phoenix, visit here. Life is short, eat something beyond tasty!

While the service was good, the food was just typical take-out. It was served hot and surprisingly stayed warm until I finished eating, which is unusual. The restaurant isn't designed for dining in with friends; it has high tables and benches that resemble a cafeteria. Overall, it feels more like a take-out place. I don’t plan on returning.

Ramen restaurant
Nestled in Ahwatukee, Origami Ramen Bar has quickly become a must-visit spot for ramen enthusiasts. Opened by Yusuke Kuroda, an Osaka native with experience at Nobu, this casual eatery offers a family-friendly atmosphere and affordable prices since its debut in summer 2020.
This is one of the best broth base ramen shops in the valley. The noodles are above average and the toppings were larger than most other places. Prices are on the high side. The one glaring negative is the request for a tip at the time of order. The efficiency you gain only hurts your servers to get rewarded for being attentive.

Absolutely enjoyed the experience here, it was so fun and unique. We ordered through the tablet installed on the table which was fun/efficient so we don’t wait on a server. The ramen was delicious, we enjoyed everything we ordered except for the potato appetizer (don’t recall the name) it wasn’t wrong we simply didn’t enjoy that dish. Certainly a lot of drink options (nonalcoholic). I think it’s the perfect spot for any won who loves anime and ramen to enjoy here, especially as they had anime shows/movies playing in the back ground. It was a good one time experience for me!

We were extremely impressed with this ramen, it is SO GOOD! Broth 10/10 Noodles 10/10 We ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and I added corn. We also ordered the fried dumplings and they were delicious! We had the best ramen experience and we will definitely coming back! Hands down BEST RAMEN EVER! Place is small but its really comfy and clean

Interesting manga-themed deco and k-pop in the background, this non -descript joint in one of many strip malls in the area is a good find for ramen. The ingredients are fresh and broths are flavorful, which are key basics. Tablet menu is well executed and service is pretty good.
Kiljoong K — Google review
Our go-to ramen place in Phoenix. Been to many ramen places, both across the US and Japan, this place is legit. The pics speak for themselves. The curry is quite a bit on the sweet side, even for Japanese curry, but the katsu is the best I've found in Arizona. The katsu is perfectly breaded and has just the right crispy texture outside and tender (not overcooked) meat inside.
Iggmoe A — Google review
Great variety of ramen and always includes seasonal specials. Best tasting ramen in the valley as close as Japan’s.
Joel S — Google review
Cute ramen place for anime lover. The restaurant is decorated with characters’ stickers. Ramen was above average comparing to other ramen restaurants in Phoenix. It was a self service restaurant, where we order online. We also had to get water by ourselves. However, this place include 20% gratuity into the bill. I think it was a bit too much for minimum amount of service.
Ravisara L — Google review
Service was good. Food was alright. The chicken karaage was good. We also had ramen and hand rolls, which seemed like they were designed in a way anyone could scoop their ingredients out of a container and plop it into the bowl or plate, leaving you with an unbalanced dish and minimal effort on presentation.

Takeout Restaurant
Little Miss BBQ-University is a retro-style eatery located on an industrial stretch of University Drive, offering top-notch Central Texas–style BBQ cooked with Arizona oak and pecan wood. Despite its off-the-beaten-path location, it has gained popularity for its excellent smoked meats, including beef brisket, ribs, turkey, pulled pork, and sausage. The long lines are part of the experience at this barbecue destination.
I recently visited Little Miss BBQ, and wow, what a treat! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The bun was soft and complemented the pulled pork so well. I especially loved the variety of BBQ sauces they offered – each one brought a unique twist and really elevated the dish. You can tell they take pride in their craft. They're always cooking up something tasty, and the aroma fills the air as soon as you walk in. Quick, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere make this place a must-visit for any BBQ lover. Highly recommend it!

Fantastic BBQ! Was searching for a place I could bring my father in law to that served ribs and chances upon this place. We enjoyed it immensely! The beef ribs and the pulled pork were excellent! Have to add that the Sausage was also great. My father in law remarked, "can we come back here again before we leave?" And he's hard to please 😅 we enjoyed the pecan pie as well. Shout out to the friendly staff! We felt very welcome

The location we went to was awesome! The staff was very nice and friendly!! We were given samples of their brisket, Texas beans and their creamy jalapeño cheese grits which were all amazing!!! Can't wait to go back! Side note, it is pretty pricey but man was the food amazing!!!

I wanted to give 5 starts but just not quite perfect! The brisket is legit the most tender and juicy brisket on the planet! Good seasoning too. Ribs melted and I mean melted off the bone! Sausage was legit. LOVED the bbq sauce and sweet mustard! Staff was SO NICE!! No, we didn't have to wait in line because we went an hour ahead of time just in case haha and we were first! The only negatives to me is the price, portions for the price and the sides were just ok. I get the quality of the meat is amazing so that is why it's expensive but then ya need to give me the same energy with those sides and LOAD them up! My hubby loved the beans and I thought they were ok.., I needed sweetness but that's just a personal opinion. Coleslaw was decent but could have had more flavor and the potato salad I thought was good! Just really small side portions for the price. All in all so worth it for the meat!

We have been wanting to try their Beef Ribs multiple times, but they either ran out or closed. Seriously, just like what the other reviewers had pointed out. We finally made it there early enough to secure some beef ribs this time. Line was long and partial shade was provided. We got to sample the house made sausages while we were waiting in line. The sausage was really tasty except that it was way too salty, IMO. We finally got inside and and order 1 rib, about 1 1/4 lbs. then someone in front of us ordered the pork belly, it looked so good so we couldn’t resist and order some too. Beef Ribs: delicious, fall off the bone tender. I don’t think I have ever such tender and flavorful beef ribs, ever. Pork Belly- it was really yummy except a little dry for me, and a little too salty. On the pricy side. $37/lb. Sides: Beans- way too salty Grits- way too salty Banana Pudding- too sweet for me I would go back for the Beef Ribs anytime. The only thing this can really improve is the logistics of where the igloo water. If you need ice water when dining in, you got to get out of the buildings and head over to the lines and get water. 1 cup max because you will need to use the other hand to open the door to get back in.

Little Miss BBQ was amazing. I only got the turkey and brisket, but both were so good. The brisket was super soft and full of flavor, and the turkey was really juicy and not dry at all. You can tell they really know what they’re doing with the meat. The workers there were also some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They were so friendly, always smiling, and just had a really good vibe. It made me feel like I wanted to eat there again right away.

Review #100 for me turned out to be a special one. Little Miss BBQ on University hit it out of the park. The Jalapeno Chedder Sausage was good but the House Sausage 707 was better. The Pork Ribs were good, but the brisket was perhaps the best I have ever had. The Jalapeno Chedder Grits were a fantastic surprise. I also really enjoyed the Ranch Style Beans. To finish it all off the Banana Pudding was really good, but the Pecan Pie was outstanding. I expected it to be too sweet, but it was delicious. I truly enjoed everything about this meal. My gratitude goes out to the staff. This meal will bring a smile to my face for a long time. For all of you beer drinkers, there is good and bad news. The bad news is they don't serve beer. The good news is that they have a BYOB License, so you can grab your favorite flavor and bring it on in to wash down your fantastic meal.

The Stockyards Steakhouse is a historic Arizona establishment that has been serving up top-quality steaks and prime ribs since 1947. Located in Phoenix, this old-school steakhouse pays homage to the state's heritage with a menu focused on beef dishes. The restaurant prides itself on offering only the finest corn-fed, aged meats cooked to perfection and served with hearty sides. The Wild West-inspired ambiance adds to the dining experience, making guests feel like they've stepped back in time.
Back for Round Two! Two weeks in Phoenix and I couldn’t resist returning. This time we got the Chateaubriand for two. The salad was delicious. Ordered the Old Fashioned & Still Superb. The Beef Tenderloin was cooked to medium, but was a little rare in the middle. Still melt in your mouth superb steak. I tried it with each sauce and the creamed horseradish was the best. This didn’t need any sauce and was perfect. The Parmesan potatoes were good. The Sautéed Button Mushrooms were perfect. The Brussel sprouts were good. Service was good. Looking for a Steak House and the Stockyards Restaurant sounded perfect. Ordered the Old Fashioned with Stockyards Bourbon by Outlaw Whiskey. Perfect Compliment with the steak. The Cornbread was good and the bread just ok. Went with the Baseball Sirloin with salad & garlic whipped potatoes. The steak was lean and cooked medium perfectly. The whipped potatoes were fluffy and paired perfectly with the sirloin. Lean & tender was excellent. The salad was fresh and delicious. The Crem Brûlée was absolutely phenomenal end to the meal. The service was superb. Loved the old style steak house. Would definitely recommend and return.

Our first time to visit Phoenix and were told to try The Stockyards. We enjoyed an amazing meal. Ron was our server, and he has been at The Stockyards for 20 years. He absolutely knows the menu and helped us make some great selections. We tried the homemade onion rings for an appetizer and they were delicious. For our entree, we had the 5 oz filet with a baked potato. The second entree was the K-2 14oz filet with Parmesan potatoes and asparagus. The atmosphere was very inviting and traditional. Old school steakhouse for sure! Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal experience at The Stockyards!

Attended an event for our organization in the private dinning room. The service was great, very polite, and helpful. The restaurant is a traditional steak house so they will cook your steak medium temperature unless you ask otherwise. The steak was just ok. The steak was barely seasoned but I've had better. The sides were good and tasty. However, I probably would not make this a go to spot in my lists of steakhouses in the Valley.

Lovely place with great service and delicious food. Apparently, they have a tendency to overcook steak - my husband's was not rare as he requested. He was hungry, so ate it anyway, thought he did report it to our server. My elk was perfect, as was dessert.

The K4 Ranch steak was incredibly juicy, almost like tasting chicken soup, unbelievable! The vibe and servers are super chill, not fancy at all, which makes dining here so comfortable. The crab cakes were also delicious! Make sure to reserve a table, it gets busy on weekend nights!

Fantastic!!!!! Celebrated a birthday here and loved the old photos of Phoenix, the building-inside has comfortable chairs and booths. The decor is top-notch for a living history, museum type setting. Walk into the saloon, and be blown away by the murals on the wall. Our service was top-notch. Our waitress Alice, to all of the servers were friendly and attentive. We went early in the evening, which was the perfect time to go. It wasn’t busy then, but by the time we left, there wasn’t an empty table to be found. And that was a Friday night. Chilean Seabass, with a lobster tail was a hit!!! The sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus were perfect. The other meal we had, was a large ribeye that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Birthday dessert was a delicious sour cream cheesecake with berries/sauce. This was a delightful experience. From the top notch service to the outstanding history preserved through photos and pictures on the walls we were impressed, and we can’t wait to bring more of our family here to try this unique place.

It’s quite unfortunate that I can’t rate this place higher than 5 stars, because it deserves it and more. Where to start??? From the moment we dropped off our car at the valet, we knew this was going to be something special. The service was out of this world exceptional. I’ll say that twice. Exceptional!!! The staff was amazing. We were celebrating our anniversary and it seemed like they were there just for us. The food was phenomenal. The chef deserves his flowers. The explanations of all the foods went over my head, I’ll admit, but boy!! I’ve never had those combinations of flavors before. Portion sizes were small, but it was a tasting menu and we left quite satisfied. We were pampered for the 2.5 hours we spent there. My wife got up to go to the bathroom, and as soon as she left the room, they came and changed out her napkin. At the end of the night, when we got our car back, they had left some sweet deserts and a very lovely card on the dashboard for us. It is pricey, but it is absolutely worth every penny.

I am a foodie and have been to many great restaurants. Kai needs to be added to that list. I live in Old Scottsdale so have been to Atlas and Cafe Monarch and many other top notch places. Went to Kai at Wild Horse Pass Resort tonight. Jeremy and Taylor were our hosts for the night and were both fantastic. Can not say enough about the service and the food but the real winner was the small touches. The pour over coffee, the desert rain smell, dry ice garden, the candle they sent home with us, the personal note thanking us for the night and the special desert for our anniversary. Everything was tip top and fantastic. You will not be disappointed. Will go again.

An Unforgettable Culinary Journey The seven-course tasting menu with wine pairing was nothing short of extraordinary, offering a thoughtful, beautifully curated exploration of flavor, history, and culture. Each dish told a story, rooted in Native American traditions and ingredients, yet elevated with modern techniques that honored the past while embracing the present. Chef Anderson clearly took great care in every detail, and the accompanying wines were expertly selected to enhance and complement each course. What truly set the evening apart, though, was the heart behind it all. The team didn’t just serve food, they shared knowledge, passion, and a genuine warmth that made the entire experience feel personal and profound. You could tell they deeply believed in what they were doing, and their pride and joy were infectious. Every interaction felt sincere and generous, making the service feel less like fine dining formality and more like being welcomed into a beloved tradition. This wasn’t just a meal, it was a cultural immersion and a celebration of community, connection, and craft. Thank you to everyone at Kai for a truly unforgettable experience.

I was very hesitant at first when I saw the menu, portion size, and the price but boy is it worth it. This is the most unique food I have ever had and it is made so beautifully. While the portions may be small, you are still full at the end and it gives you the opportunity to try so many different things. I recommend bringing at least two other people so you can try a bite of everything. Don’t even get me started on how amazing the drinks are. Alexis did a fantastic job. You really are treated like royalty here and Jeremy does a great job at making you feel welcomed. This was such a fun experience 10/10

Just hosted a client dinner at this establishment, and I couldn't be happier! The service was stellar, and the food was delicious and creative. No one's drinks were ever empty, and they went out of their way to make accommodations for allergies and dietary restrictions. My clients each individually told me how much they enjoyed the restaurant and service. 10/10 recommend!

My review from Kai is way past its due time. My wife and I were there on Feb 24, 24. However, the experience both in terms of service and food was so outstanding that we still remember and discuss it. The theme was corn and there was a story to tell from the start to the end of the menu. In terms of food, all the dishes were some of the most complex foods we had, both in terms of taste and texture. The service was also spectacular, the staff took care of us from start to the end. I will let the photos speak for themselves.

Excellent dinner with front of house staff that truly care about guests’ experience, and chefs that execute on the great vision of the menu. I had Brussels cooked until velvety tender that soaked up a creamy coconut curry sauce, topped with crunchy onions. Then had a lamb dumpling dish with tons of savory, spiced lamb flavor brightened and rounded out with fresh mint and cilantro, pomegranate and yogurt. Had very yummy labneh and berry ice cream they source from a local shop. Also had the bottled phony negroni, which was not as amazing as the food, but not bad. Highly recommend this restaurant for a good dining experience and enjoying food you can taste people care about making.

Lovely spot in Scottsdale. Tucked away in a little courtyard, I sat on the patio and enjoyed the asparagus with tzatziki and the lamb dumplings. Both were light, perfectly balanced - in fact, just perfect. I finished off with their butterscotch pudding which is apparently a permanent fixture on the menu. They also have great local wines, and the service was quick and attentive. This is great food and wine, so in my view it’s reasonably priced. Thanks for a lovely evening, FnB. 😊✨

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful and well worth the visit! We booked a reservation (which requires a deposit) but our flight was delayed. We called and they were so kind and accommodating for us. We were very glad we were able to make it work because the food and service was phenomenal. We ordered the green salad, potato buns with duck fat, and pork chops with seasonal squash. Every bite was full of flavor and the pork chop was the most tender pork chop I’ve ever had. This restaurant is a must stop for your next Scottsdale visit!

FnB is truly amazing, it deserves to be Michelin rated. The food is so creative and made with such high quality, consistently across all dishes. The vegetable-forward cuisine is completely unique, with incredible blends of flavors that pull from different influences but clearly have a very distinctive style of Chef Charleen Badman. The care to balance flavor, visual, and texture is honestly second to none, and we eat out a lot! It is artistry, and the intimate but easy ambience has made every visit a memorable experience. The entire staff is engaging and very competent, this restaurant hits on all cylinders.

Even better than some of the Michelin 3stars’ Issac keep checking on us, making sure the flow won’t be too fast, Washroom are clean, paper handkerchief in good quality, shampoo is aromatic P.S. the ginger beer(non-alcoholic) is just so good, as a ginger beer guy, this is the best ginger beer iml

I recently visited this restaurant for dinner with my husband and had a fine experience. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t quite wow me either. I ordered the lasagna and tiramisu, while my husband had the pepperoni calzone. One definite positive: the portion sizes are generous, great value if you're hungry. The calzone had a lovely crust and while it was packed with oozy, melty mozzarella, it did not a have a ton of pepperonis. The tiramisu was delicious, light and creamy. Everything tasted fresh, and we really enjoyed the option to sit outside as the weather was beautiful when we visited. That said, the lasagna and the calzone were a bit underwhelming with the flavor profile. The flavors just didn’t pop for me. To be fair, it might have been an off day or maybe I didn’t order their specialty dish. I’m used to several other Italian Deli's we visit that bring more bold and robust flavors to the table. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience—just a little too bland for my taste. Depending on your preferences, you might love it. The restaurant was packed after all, which typically means they are doing some things right. I might consider giving it another shot, perhaps trying something different next time.

Nestled in an unassuming exterior, this Italian eatery might not catch your eye at first glance, but stepping inside reveals a delightful surprise. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a notable presence of homemade dishes that reflect a genuine passion for Italian cuisine. The staff, a friendly mix of locals—some of whom I believe are Italian—create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I decided to try the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken, and I was pleased with the dish overall. The pasta was well-prepared, infused with a medley of spices that elevated its flavor profile. The grilled chicken, while tasty, was slightly on the dry side, albeit packed with spices that complemented the dish nicely. The garlic bread served alongside was a bit dry as well, but its flavor was quite enjoyable. For the fettuccine Alfredo, I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5 for flavor—though I do recommend upgrading the chicken quality for a better experience. Next, I sampled a Caprese sandwich. While the bread didn’t quite suit my taste, the combination of fresh cheese, ripe tomatoes, and tangy balsamic vinegar was delicious, earning it a respectable 3 out of 5. To accompany my meal, I ordered a glass of wine and a fountain drink (Dr Pepper). Unfortunately, the wine, though fragrant, fell short in taste, suggesting it was a budget option. The cleanliness of the utensils left something to be desired, possibly due to steam stains, but this didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. In summary, this restaurant is a fantastic choice for a quick bite or a satisfying dinner that delivers authenticity in flavors typical of a genuine Italian spot. While there are areas for improvement—such as the quality of the chicken and the cleanliness of utensils—the overall experience is quite positive, making it a place worth visiting when you're in the mood for hearty Italian fare.

Con te partiro... I wasn't really looking to come here, but momma, I'm sure happy I did! Nobody likes saying goodbye to friends, but hearty Italian fare helps to ease the sorrow. I thought the large bowl of ravioli was gonna take the prize, but the football sized calzone filled with toppings ands ricotta had other plans. Very happy to have experienced this wonderful eatery before we left.

I came to this little gem and let me tell you the food is amazing. The set up is small, seating is horrible, and the deli style line I’m not a fan of . It was super busy and no seats available inside so had to sit outside in the summer heat and the misters didn’t work so those are the negatives. I had the veggie lasagna and the flavor was great. I got the full portion size. I also had a side of the cheese and tomatoes which are my favorite. The chicken pesto monthly sandwich was soooooo good. I will definitely go back despite the negatives because it is worth it but it is pricey. For three to eat it was 80.00

Visiting my uncle and he suggested we go here for lunch. They do get very busy so plan accordingly but you'll want to wait in line because this is some good eating. You'll also find Triple D has visited this establishment as well with the picture of Guy on the right side as you walk in. As we waited they offered us a taste of their Italian beef. OMG yum! I had the Chicken Pesto Sandwich, Macaroni and cheese, a lemon mascarpone cake and an Amaretto Cremosa (Italian soda with cream). All were fantastic. Friendly service. Just sad they were out of the White Truffle Cheese Steak Sandwich that they had on special and the fact that I don't stay nearby so this experience will just have to live in my dreams until we meet again.

DeFalco's was one of the first restaurants to make it to my "try when I move to Phoenix" list, and it did not disappoint. The only reason we haven't gone sooner is because we try not to eat out or order dishes that we feel we can make at home. But after months of beating around the bush, we came here on a random Saturday afternoon to finally try it. Parking was easy and the restaurant itself is easy to find. When we walked in there was about a 5-10 minute long long, but it moved quickly and gave me enough time to look at their expansive menu. We opted for the fettuccine with marinara + meatball, as well as their chicken fettuccine alfredo. The marinara sauce was very nicely seasoned. It truly tasted like it was freshly made with fresh ingredients. My partner, who is not usually a big red sauce fan, said they would get it again, and I think that speaks volumes. You get one meatball when you add it as an option, and I while it's a big meatball that is beautifully seasoned, I wish I got more for the price I paid. The garlic bread was also very nicely seasoned and paired well with the marinara sauce. The alfredo was thick, creamy, and everything you'd want in an alfredo pasta. The star of this was the chicken, which was breaded and seasoned to perfection. You get a few big pieces that definitely felt more worth it compared to the meatball. If I had to go back and do it all over again, I'd probably try two of their pastas instead of getting two fettuccine dishes (this was on me, I was given the other options but opted for this). That being said, since moving here, this was one of the few restaurants so far where my partner and I both agreed, we'd be back.

This spot lives rent free in my head, and honestly their chicken parm sandwich might be the best I’ve ever had. The bread was soft but strong enough for all that saucy, cheesy goodness and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. The place is busy in a fun way, service is quick and I’m already planning to try more of the menu when I come back.

Owned by Giovanni Scorzo from Calabria in northwest Italy and his wife Linda, the place reflects their passion for authentic Italian cuisine.
Authentic delicious Italian restaurant and grocer. Highly recommend! Service was top level, everyone was so friendly and attentive. I loved how knowledgeable everyone was about the food they order. We tried a few items and loved it. We will definitely be back again… very soon!

I LOVE IT! Everything is so fresh! Andreoli had some of the best Italian food in Scottsdale hands down! Everything I tried was delicious! From their sandwiches to their salads! Oh my goodness the desserts are just the best! Our table bought 4 different desserts. The cannoli, lemon and lime desert, and marzipan cherry. So flavorful and also affordable! The menu ranges from $14 -$50 per plate. It really depends on what you get. The staff were so nice and fast! How to order, you order upfront , you then get a table that they will give you, sit down and wait for your food! So simple and so nice. They also offer delicious cappuccinos, espresso and more! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This place is exceptional and the real deal. You walk into a providore dining room with a wall of delectable desserts drawing you in. The menu is simple and authentic. The food is made with simple, balanced ingredients, creating a clean and delicious eating experience. The dishes did not hide behind sauces and seasoning, the fresh ingredients spoke for themselves. The olive oil and bread as an appetiser also sold my ‘anti carb’ family, causing them to crave more. We highly recommend any salad, any pasta and the chocolate mousse. Best chocolate mousse of my life! Thank you. The outside dining space was brand new and provided a really enjoyable environment. We could hear each other and enjoy the weather. Overall, stunning.

A family favorite but my first time. Apparently one of those places where the fam loves what they get so much they get it every time - and to be fair the sandwiches all sounded good. But I’ll take pasta anytime, and the bow ties with sausage mushroom and spinach were perfect. I especially liked the restraint here, it was the right amount of sauce. American Italian places tend to want to pour it on, but not here. We also had some kind of fried potato plus leeks thing, not pictured, but everyone liked it. The tiramisu was phenomenal, not too sweet not too much coffee flavor. The creaminess was the main sensation. They also had a pistachio version and tiramisu chocolate bites available. One suggestion, they offer several San Peligrino sodas .. please pick up the “zero” no sugar versions… they’d go very well with the food and in Scottsdale, a diet soda is always going to sell. See you again next time!

Food was amazing! Even the side salad was amazing. Staff was very nice and helpful. You can tell they have a lot of regulars because they were hugging the staff. So far one of the best cannoli we have had since living in Arizona (we are from the Boston area)

This is the best Italian restaurant in az. The meals are delicious, the atmosphere is spectacular and the service is amazing. I love the presentation of every dish. All plates are made with attention to detail. The pasta is cooked perfectly, love the clams and mussels, oh man the EGGPLANT. OK the bread is untouchable and my espresso is the start of every meal. Giovanni, his family and restaurant staff make me feel like home. I love this establishment

Buck & Rider in Arcadia offers a stylish dining room with patio seating, serving raw bar fare, meat dishes, and craft drinks. The restaurant's take on mariscos includes the Coctel de Mariscos with lump crab meat, shrimp, scallops, tomato, and avocado, as well as the Baja Shrimp Ceviche with shrimp, cucumber, red onion, heirloom tomato and cilantro.
In town from Tucson, visiting family and decided to stop in for an early birthday dinner for my wife. The place is amazing. Casually Cool. We were seated outside on the patio, and it was perfect. My wife's ribs were unreal. Meat fell off the bone, and my shrimp scampi was excellent. Our dessert choices were banana cream and lemon meringue pies. Both were delicious, but since we couldn't take any leftovers, Ray L, our sever refused to let my wife go home empty-handed for her birthday and gave her some macaroons to go. It was such a very nice gesture to go along with top-notch service. We HIGHLY recommend you try Buck and Rider! Ask for Ray L. You won't be disappointed.

I tried it all — from the caviar to the Alaskan king crab. I also had half a lobster, the red fish, and plenty of oysters. Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. Service was outstanding, and the drinks were crafted with true care by skilled mixologists. An unforgettable dining experience from start to finish. My tab was 500+ I’d do it again

Love this place, love the food, the menu, the vibes. Chase, our waiter, was 10/10. Our only gripe with this restaurant is our consistent poor experience with the hostess customer service. It is interesting it has happened enough to give feedback! We don’t want the restaurant to lose $$.

Buck & Rider was an amazing experience for our anniversary! We wanted to try somewhere new and they did not disappoint!! We arrived a little late to our reservation, and the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating despite that. The hostess even helped me fix my dress, which I really appreciated. We sat out at the patio and it was nice and cool, despite the hot weather yesterday. We started off with the tuna crispy rice and oysters which were some of the best apps we've had in the Valley. The old fashioned and espresso martini were also delicious!! My boyfriend got the ribeye and I got the shrimp scampi risotto- definitely try these if you decide to stop in! That was the best steak we've ever had and we plan on bringing our parents back for dinner soon. Lastly, the lemon meringue was amazing. Even though we were stuffed near the end of our meal we absolutely devoured it. We had such a great night and the staff truly made our anniversary feel extra special. They even left a sweet card at the table which was the cherry on top of an amazing experience. Thank you so much!!!

Buck & Rider never disappoints! The seafood is always fresh and beautifully prepared. The crab cakes are outstanding — made with real jumbo lump crab and just the right seasoning. The restaurant has a nice upscale feel, yet it’s still comfortable for a casual night out. Highly recommend for anyone who loves quality seafood.

Made a reservation the day before on OpenTable for a party of 8. We had a wonderful experience, our server was attentive, the ambiance was lovely, and the cuisine was delicious. We were seated at the main large table on the outdoor patio, and the A/C blower near our table made the otherwise warm evening quite comfortable. We ordered crispy Brussels sprouts and the hot goat cheese dipping sauce added so much! Tuna crispy rice was a winner (and gluten free). Fresh blue crab cakes were delicious as were the diver scallops. We also ordered one of each of the desserts - lemon meringue, flourless chocolate cake and banana cream pie, all were plenty to share. Note: This is a park-nearby-venue or enjoy the free valet, who were friendly and fast.

Ok, I've eaten seafood everywhere and this is best overall seafood experience. Another place in Galveston had the best cooked oysters but this place has the best of everything else. I can't even describe how amazing every single thing was.

Isabella's Kitchen, nestled at the Grey Hawk Golf Club in North Scottsdale, is a charming yet unpretentious eatery that specializes in rustic Italian cuisine and an impressive selection of wines. With stunning views of the Talon course and the McDowell Mountains, this delightful spot features large garage-style doors that seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor dining. The inviting patio wraps around the building, offering both fully covered and partially shaded areas perfect for unwinding with friends or family.
I love it here. This place is hidden away from the rest of civilization. Whoever designed this restaurant is a genius. There are live plants everywhere and even mounted on the walls. There are these hanging string lights surrounding the place like one would put in the back patio of their home. This place makes me feel at home. I'm not joking when I say, I didn't want to leave the property. Atmosphere is king. Customer service is excellent here. Thank you for your attentiveness, Makena. They have Sugar In The Raw here for my black iced tea. A bonus feature. As for the meal, the FUSILLI BOLOGNESE at $23.00 was a steal. It consists of Rustic Meat Sauce, Pecorino (Italian hard cheese produced from sheep's milk), & Fusilli (spiral pasta). My date got the SAUSAGE pizza & at $15.00; also a steal (House-Made Sausage, Red Onion). But wait. I ate dessert before the meal: Dark Chocolate Laava Cake $11.00 (Hazelnut chocolate sauce, vanilla gelato). 'Kiss the tip of your fingers' type of food here. I had to save half of my pasta for lunch tomorrow. My meal alone was enough for two people. I can't describe the amount of pleasure I was having eating it. I savored every bite. I'll be back, that's for sure.

The inside is covered with decorations and overall the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Also, the outside section is great, the germaniums are gorgeous and they have rocking chairs and fires and an extremely nice outside seating with heat lamps too. It does get very busy so it makes the servers job harder and long waits should be expected. The food is great but I would only recommend this place for once in a while because of the long waits.

Excellent and authentic Italian food with a great view of the valley. We've been here a few times, and the food, drinks, and service are always on point. This time we had the Butchers pizza and Lasagna. The pizza was good but the lasagna was better - and it was huge! We took home more than half of it. We came at sunset and were able to get a table outside. Dieter provided exemplary service as well. We'll definitely be back.

Had a good time and a good meal tonight. All the meat sauces also had dairy which made it a little hard for the wife to get good amount. I had the twisted chicken parm and while it was good. The pasta came out dry. Would come again and try something else.

We've been coming here for years. It's always a fun place to bring out of town guests because the views are gorgeous and it's a great vibe. The food is pricey and you'll need a reservation if you want to sit down and eat but it's quintessential Scottsdale with the view of the golf course and mountains. The grilled fish bowl, bruschetta, and pizzas are some of our favorites. The service is hit or miss but it's always so busy I can't really fault them for that. Sitting outside to catch the sunset is a must do!

Great space. Lots of seating, indoor and outdoor seating. Great service and good Italian food. We had the duck bruschetta, pizza and a kale salad. Beautiful place for a nice meal. Had sliders for lunch After waiting for 10 minutes for server we placed our orders. 1/2 hour latter sliders and fries came out cold. Was 1/2 through my 1st sliders when I was asked how is everything. Nestled in the heart of downtown Phoenix, Harumi Sushi Bar is a vibrant sushi haven that perfectly blends a casual atmosphere with culinary excellence. This charming spot caters to both dine-in guests and those on the go, offering fresh sushi made daily for busy commuters. The menu features an array of delightful options, including their signature Harumi roll—a delicious combination of tempura shrimp, crab salad, avocado, and fresh tuna topped with tobiko and spicy mayo.
Love the team service approach. All the servers and hosts were very nice and attentive to our table. Food was great. If I had one critique it would be put pictures of your food in the menu. I don't understand why places like this don't show pictures for those of use that don't know what we are ordering :) I guarantee I would have bought more and other things if saw pictures. Great job though. Keep it up. We will be back next time in Phoenix.

Harumi Sushi Bar in downtown Phoenix is one of those rare spots that makes you fall in love with sushi all over again. Every roll feels thoughtfully crafted — the fish is incredibly fresh, buttery, and melts in your mouth. I tried the purple rice rolls, which give Harumi its signature twist — slightly nutty, a bit chewy, and wonderfully balanced with the tender sashimi. The salmon and yellowtail practically glisten on the plate, while the spicy tuna delivers the perfect kick without overpowering the delicate flavors.

Always sooooo good. Yes the rice is blackish. It’s because they use a little bit of black rice when they cook it. It’s always fresh and not a ton of rice. We ordered the asparagus roll which is surprisingly good along with the Philly roll. I didn’t get a picture of the sweet potato roll or the Las Vegas roll but trust me they are amazing. Native American restaurant
Restaurant
Fry Bread House is a cozy restaurant located in Phoenix's Melrose District, known for its savory and sweet creations made from Native American fry bread. The simple yet delicious deep-fried dough is filled with a variety of toppings, making it an award-winning entree. Established in 1992 by Cecelia Miller, this hidden gem has gained recognition, including the prestigious James Beard Award in 2012.
This was our first time trying Fry Bread House. It was VERY crowded so we were hoping that meant the food was going to be amazing. They did not disappoint. The fry bread itself was so good, I could've eaten it plain. Anyway we both ordered the ground beef tacos, one order of corn to share, and I tried out their apple refresher. We shouldn't have ordered two separate tacos because they were HUGE, we could've shared one. I had to take a lot of meat out of mine just to finish, I really enjoyed the fry bread. I wasn't a fan of the street corn, it just didn't have the right taste to it and it was very messy. The refresher was really good...imagine apple pie filling flavor over ice. We will definitely return if we're in Arizona again. Very limited seating and it gets really crowded so order quickly and pay attention so you can grab a table before it's too late.

First off, five stars for the atmosphere because the vibe of everyone eating there on a Saturday night was great and nobody laughed at us for cramming a ton of food onto the tiny round table we sat at...the person who brought us our food had to kind of stack things up for us 😂 Service was stellar and friendly. We had to ask to pack our bean and cheese fry bread to go, and the guy didn't bat an eyelash. He just laughed, like, "I get it," and brought us a little box. But the food was so crazy delicious. Red chili stew, dipped birria fry breads, honey fry bread for dessert, and oh that loaded cheese crisp. The bread was puffy and crisp, light, just amazing. There's a reason this restaurant is so beloved and well regarded. What a special place. Just go there.

10/10 would recommend. Came in just ahead of the lunch rush and ordered three fry bread dishes to share — red chilli beef ultimate taco, ground beef combo taco, and the honey fry bread. All three were excellent—bread was perfectly crisp & very fresh, the flavors were complementary, and the red beef was very tender. Seating can get difficult once rush hour hits but turnover is quick since it’s so easy to want to wolf this down!

Let me tell you, when life gets heavy and the heart gets hungry, there’s only one place that truly understands, The Fry Bread House. I popped in the other day in need of some serious comfort food, and this place delivered like an auntie at a family gathering. The vibe here is simple and cozy, no frills, no fuss, just that kind of welcoming energy where you half expect someone to ask if you’ve eaten yet (and if you say no, they’ll fix that real quick). The staff? Friendly, fast, and clearly on a mission from the Fry Bread gods themselves. My go-to order: the Native Taco. It’ll have you stuffed to the brim, spiritually renewed, and ready to forgive your enemies, and maybe even your ex. And no visit is complete without a sweet fry bread to seal the deal. Normally I’m a honey-and-powdered-sugar guy, but today I went for cinnamon and sugar (and yes, added butter, because I’m not here to play). It was pure heaven; like a warm hug from Mother Earth herself. 10/10 would absolutely come back, even if it means my jeans file a formal complaint. Fry Bread House is the kind of place that heals you faster than sage and laughter combined.
XTopher T — Google review
I had spotted Fry Bread House ages ago while browsing the map for something a little out of the ordinary compared to what I can find on the central coast of California and finally got to try it. I'd had plain fry bread decades ago at some roadside stands in the Mojave but never something as hearty and tasty as an Indian taco. The red chili beef was fatty and rich and while the pillowy fry bread started getting soft fast from all those meat juices the edges still had a crisp shell and the whole thing was marvelously chewy. I had one with meat, beans, cheese, sour cream, and lettuce. It was hard to detect the bean flavor (which I love) but the whole thing was so so delicious, and it's no wonder why they've been around for decades. The space was super casual and very busy even at a late lunch bustling with pickup orders and patrons filling almost every air conditioned seat. The staff was friendly and clearly enjoyed their time cooking and chatting and shouting out orders. I loved the mix of folks there from old ladies to construction workers and if you can you really should dine in as those rolls of paper towels on the table come in handy chowing down on these beasts. Go here for a taste of the southwest and something a little out of the ordinary.

Really hard to find the right superlatives for this place. I have wanted to try fry bread for a long time. My Arizona family recommended this place and it was great. A James Beard winner for good reason. I had the beef vegetable soup and a piece of bread and the meat was as tender as Sunday pot roast. The potatoes, carrots and squash blended with the beef juices to make a flavorful broth. Fry bread is really hard to describe, but it was a perfect accompaniment. Flaky with a good chew and easy to tear. Well worth the stop.

Native Cuisine at its finest. The Fry Bread was on point!! Everything we tried was full flavored and generously portioned. The dinning area inside was limited and cozy, however we opted for the patio seating outside. We travel with a dog that was allowed to join us on the patio. So, thanks for that as well. Haji-Baba is a Middle Eastern restaurant and grocery store that offers budget-friendly ethnic cuisine. The unpretentious eatery features a walk-up counter for grabbing kabob pitas and hummus to go, as well as a dining room for those who prefer table service. The menu includes a variety of dishes such as kebabs, shawarma, gyros, falafel, babaganoush, and more.
Legit! Been a while since I had legit Gyro meat...this was quite flavorful. Amazing Falafel and the Tabouli was delicious, like top notch. The Spanakopita was good, but might try something else next time. The pickles in the Gyro were a nice addition and flavor profile. Not pictured but a MUST is getting Baklava, they so many to try, I would save room to try multiple next time. This place is a GeM!

Haji-Baba is without a doubt some of the highest quality shawarma I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. The chicken shawarma platter is immaculately flavorful, and make sure to have the garlic sauce. The built in market creates an authentic atmosphere that amplifies the dining experience.

I’ve been coming here for 20+ years and absolutely love it! I love that the menu hasn’t changed and the food flavors remain consistent. The servers are always friendly and the food comes out quickly. Don’t forget to get some delicious baklava on your way out!

Delicious food, highly recommend you try this place out. I enjoyed the chicken shawarma plate it was juicy and flavorful and the garlic sauce is amazing. We also got the baklava for dessert which was good.

I love Haji Baba. Always have. You cannot find better chicken Shawarma sandwiches anywhere. You cannot find better hummus anywhere! They are located conveniently off Apache in Tempe. This is a must visit. It’s also a grocery store. Very authentic. Not your average chain like pita jungle Not even close. This is a rare gem in Tempe. I have been coming here for years. The same people are always working! You know what you’re gonna get every time prices are incredible.

The server tries to please and suggested pomegranate juice which was tasty. The chicken schwarma is yummy! I wanted a smaller Greek salad and he suggested a side salad with added Feta & olives. It was the perfect size. The Greek pitas are better than the regular and you can ask for them. The almond baklava was good, too. They have a small store with spices, olives and more goodies too!

Great Middle Eastern restaurant and market! As a Jew whose culture shares most of the same cuisine, this food is the best and most authentic Arab-Mediterranen dining experience I've had in the valley. Kind staff as well! If you haven't tried it before, get their lebni. It's arguably the best yogurt in Arizona!

Breakfast restaurant
Jewel's Bakery & Cafe is a family-owned establishment that prides itself on using local ingredients to create a menu that is 100% gluten-free. Located in Arcadia, this bakery and cafe offers breakfast, brunch, lunch, and desserts. Their signature dishes include the biscuit and gravy made with fresh-baked garlic cheddar biscuit topped with sausage gravy and served with eggs cooked to your preference.
Great breakfast spot and was a great start to our trip! The staff the first day were very knowledgeable about food allergies and assisted with menu recommendations for a gluten and dairy allergy they were very thorough and helpful. They had informed me due to cross contamination I could not have their potatos which was fine so we made a substitute (important for second visit). We had a wonderful start to the say with food and (very strong) mimosa flight. We enjoyed our experience so much we went back the next day. I wanted to try something different so I got a breakfast wrap, informed of allergies - once the order came it had potatos in it - I asked about it as I was told it was not safe the day prior and they confirmed it still was not safe so remade the order. Other than that mishap it was a great experience! Edit response to restaurant: I was told that at the time they did not have a separate fryer for dairy/ non dairy products I was told I could not have their potatos due to the cheese curds on the menu in a shared fryer. I personally have a very severe dairy allergy so I can not handle cross contamination of any dairy products.

PHENOMENAL meal. My wife is GF and I am not, but holy smokes this place knocked both our socks off. Chicken was the best I’ve ever had. Donuts were (maybe) the best I’ve ever had. Waffles? Delicious. All the sauces? To die for. Do NOT miss this place. It was a top 10 meal I’ve had in my life, gluten free or not.

I'll go back. 😊 The food was good, but slightly under seasoned. Still, it was still tasty. The service was good, but it took awhile for the food. Still, the staff were friendly and attentive. I really liked the atmosphere. Coffee was ok...I need to try it black next time and re-evaluate. My single real issue is the hours of operation. 9a to 3p. Those hours, for me, mean I can't solicit their business during the week--I'm already working by the time they open and I'm still working when they close. I suppose they're good as a lunch only place and a late brunch place on the weekend. Still, a place for breakfast and coffee in the morning would be nice. Bottom line, I am going back, which is really the only important thing. They're worth an occasional visit even if they won't work as my *regular place*.

Great gluten free food. As a a celiac, didnt have any reaction. Staff was helpful and nice. Can be crowded at noon so there can be some waiting involved until a table is available. Definitely recommend as a gluten free restaurant in Pheonix and near the airport area.

Best gluten free restaurant and only one I have ever been to. The food is absolutely amazing and you need to come here, you don't have a choice.
Makenzie R — Google review
Very popular spot, so be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes on the weekends for a table, but don’t let that stop you from going here. There is a reason this is a go-to place for food. It’s hands down my favorite place to eat for breakfast/lunch. Completely celiac friendly restaurant, no gluten, and accommodates other allergies. Tastes better than gluten food too. Try it!
Samantha S — Google review
I happened to stumble across this restaurant and I'm so glad that I did! As someone who has to eat gluten-free, I was able to order anything that I wanted since the whole menu is gluten-free. I had the chicken and waffles and split a donut hole with my husband. Everything was DELICIOUS and the service was great on top of it. Don't miss out on this great place!
Becca H — Google review
Jewel’s was the perfect place to eat immediately after landing at phoenix airport. My mom is a gluten and dairy free person, and this restaurant had so many options that satisfied both dietary restrictions. She was giddy with choice! We eventually both settled on the millionaire breakfast. Which had popcorn chicken, donuts, and waffles + bacon all stacked in a single dish. The portion was enormous, and the food was delicious. (I say this as a person who typically doesn’t enjoy any gluten free option of bread-centric dishes). I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent breakfast food. One thing to note - our server informed us the ghost pepper bacon was more of a sweet bacon than a spicy bacon, my mom and I both found it way too spicy, and we ended up needing to order extra sides of bacon, because we were tearing up with the ghost pepper bacon.

Welcome Diner is a charming, pint-sized diner that exudes a 1940s vibe and offers Southern-inspired comfort food. The exterior resembles a miniature vintage diner, while the interior features a cozy kitchenette and a red counter with nine blue stools.
I stopped by Welcome Diner for breakfast and had an amazing experience! The biscuits and gravy were absolutely delicious—fluffy, buttery biscuits smothered in rich, savory gravy with just the right amount of spice. It was the perfect comfort food to start my day. The coffee was also fantastic—bold, smooth, and exactly what I needed. The service was friendly and welcoming (fitting for the name!), and the cozy, retro vibe of the diner made the meal even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a great Southern-style breakfast in a laid-back atmosphere, Welcome Diner is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu!

Very cute little spot! I went early on a weekend and it wasn't crowded. The service was awesome, no one seemed too busy for me and everyone I spoke to was very nice. I would say it's a bit on the pricier side (~$30 for biscuit + gravy, bacon, and potatoes) but I really enjoyed my food. I'll definitely be back, I thought it was worth it!

Fantastic discovery! A beautiful little diner nestled in a residential area.. friendly staff. The food was great. We ordered the Mac and cheese as per the reviews, and it did not disappoint! The poutine fries were also delicious. For mains we got a lil Birdy(buttermilk chicken and Biscuits), the carol (pulled pork and biscuits) and a no way Jose burger (greasy, juicy, and oh so good!) Definitely a place to revisit.

I enjoyed my lunch here. However, I found the portions to be small, and I’m a very small lady lately myself but I left borderline hungry after a $20 burger and some ice cream. Please, make your burgers larger and the size of the fries could use a little upgrade, too. Overall, just give us more food on that plate, please. I eat out regularly but this was the only restaurant ever where I felt the portions sizes were too small (I’m from Europe, so I’m used to small sizes, just not in this country). The service was good, in fact excellent, and the food came out quick and it was a larger group of us dining there. Overall, I’d recommend.

What a lovely boutique diner in Phoenix! My Bacon Eggs Benedict on a biscuit was absolutely delicious and the Welcome Breakfast was excellent. The scrambled eggs styled as though it was a cinnamon roll was absolutely a highlight of this visual plate. Jahir was a warm, inviting, friendly and attentive server who was quick to check in. The layout of the diner is unique and really cute from the mismatch colored tables and chairs outside to the really cute inner sanctum of the cool dining space. Absolutely would and will plan to come back again in the future. Thanks to Jahir who made our visit all the better. *Cheers with my Hurricane* Pictures also shown: chai latte, hurricane drink.

Pane Bianco Central is a relaxed eatery known for its contemporary Italian menu featuring sandwiches, salads, and pizzas made with freshly baked bread. Founded by Chris Bianco, the restaurant initially gained popularity as a lunch spot but has since expanded to offer a variety of delectable Italian dishes. While Pizzeria Bianco may be more renowned, Pane Bianco holds its own with an array of mouthwatering options.
Stopped by on a Friday for lunch. Wife had the Italian combo and I had the prosciutto. Holy cow. That prosciutto on the homemade focaccia was crazy. Mozzarella was so creamy and delicious. She loved her combo especially the mortadela but she wished there had been more of that. Just finished half the sandwich to save room for dessert, a slice of NY salami to go. That pizza... I know the pizza there is always delicious, and we've enjoyed the pizza at downtown Bianco for a long time, but this slice, don't know what they did, but the sauce was tomatoly ridiculous, the cheese perfectly melty, the thinly sliced salty salami, but tbh I've never eaten a pizza crust that good in my life. That wheaty, floury flavor, the aroma, and it cracked like a baguette at the crusty end. Shoved the slice into my mouth in the parking lot. Thanks, guys!

You won't find a better restaurant specializing in artisan sandwiches. Pane also features NY Style pizza from their Wood-Fired oven. Fresh focaccia and homemade mozzarella. Daily market specials for sandwiches and salads. Wonderful desserts including the best tiramisu I've ever eaten. Visit Pane Bianco and spoil your taste buds.

Had lunch at Pane Bianco yesterday and really enjoyed it! I ordered the tuna salad and it was plentiful for the price. I really liked the rustic and home-y ambience of the restaurant. It had a unique vibe to interior design. The fresh bread was also awesome.

Wow! Pane Bianco is the cut spot for lunch. 🍕 🥗 🥣 🥖 Amazing pizza and awesome sandwiches. Simple recipes made from high quality ingredients make for fantastic food. I eat at Pane Bianco about once a week and everything is amazing. The pizza is fantastic. 🍕 Simple slices make for the perfect lunch. Any of the salads are great. The green salad is the perfect accompaniment to any of the pizzas. The market salad is great to share or can be a lunch for one person on its own. Today I had the market sandwich which was arugula, ricotta and roasted tomato with balsamic vinaigrette. 🔥 I thought I was going to be missing the protein but the sandwich was perfect 💯 Highly recommend for lunch. Protip: the veggie soup is underrated and served with a slice of their bread. Try it, you’ll love it. 🥣

This is the worst Italian sandwich I have ever had. The bread was really dry, possibly stale and hard. The meat portion was not worth the $16 price tag. Bianco should stick with pizza. Don’t waste your money here, instead get a footlong at Subway for half the price, you’ll enjoy it more. Or order the pizza. It looked good. The staff were nice, at least.
Ric V — Google review
That was outstanding. I got in finally and tried some slices. I tried a N.Y. red slice and a Pepperoni Al Taglio. The sauce on the red slice was one of the most flavorful sauces i have ever had on a pizza. Delicious. The crust was ok. Crispy but almost paper thin. I feel reheated slices can wreak havoc on a pizza dough but good for what it was. I would have enjoyed a touch more salt in the dough. I’m a crust eater. The pepperoni was one of if not the best Sicilian/Grandma style pizza i have ever tried. So light and airy with a nice crispy crust and the sauce, cheese and pepperoni were the perfect amount of toppings just packed with flavor!!!!!!

I was craving a calzone but didn't realize it was only available during lunch time. This was my first time having the pizza and it was delicious! I would recommend having garlic added to the Green, gives it an extra something, that is, if you like garlic. Looking forward to going back.
Az J — Google review
This place does not disappoint. We had a party of 6 and were seated immediately during lunch. When we walked in, the fresh smell of fresh bread reinforced our belief we made a good choice for lunch. Our group had pizza, calzone, and the Italian Combo. All the food received good reviews. The Italian Combo had a great mix of flavors with a small Italian spiciness to it. I am not a spicy food guy, but did not mind the subtle spice.

A piece of Havana in the desert. This is a fun and upbeat venue to take friends, family, or business contacts for a relaxed conversation and dinner. The restaurant delivers on all fronts. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right level of energy. The food was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented, with portions that felt satisfying. Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Overall, a great spot for both casual dinners and special nights out.
Paul H — Google review
We tried the Canal Club for my sister’s birthday dinner, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. For a Saturday night, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which already felt a bit odd, and the lack of music made the atmosphere uncomfortably quiet. Service was slow despite the emptiness, and the food lacked consistency in flavor across the dishes. We even had to send a drink back because it was bland. While the décor throughout the hotel and restaurant is beautiful, the overall experience left us disappointed, and I’m not sure I’d return.

I came here for brunch and was surprised at how quiet the restaurant was but I also came on a Monday. I was quickly seated and water was brought to me right away. Canal Club inside The Scott is a cute little bar and restaurant with a great ambiance and ample lounge seating to enjoy cocktails and food. The veggie flatbread/pizza and queso was good for an early snack/dinner. The breakfast options are delicious! I had the fruit and granola bowl one day, and the smoked salmon toast another. Both were EXCELLENT and although expensive, the portion sizes are very large. The cold brew coffee isn’t the best, but got the job done. Cocktails are all delicious. I particularly loved the cucumber cooler (and added vodka). The wait staff was great. Particularly liked Zack’s approachable personality.

Had the most wonderful egg scramble here with a TON of veggies. They did not skimp whatsoever on the portion of vegetables in the scramble. It was fantastic !! The ambience is also super cool, the ceiling is decorated with egg cartons, which is quite creative. The food came out quickly as well. Prices were reasonable too.

Overall, this place is just okay. My husband ordered the croquet Madame. It wasn't bad but not great. I order the parfait, it was good (fruits were fresh and decent portion). We also ordered 2 drinks: cappuccino and pumpkin latte. They were a big disappointment. Coffee wasn't good, quite bitter. The foam was horrible. I can do better than that at home. The photos you see of those drinks were how they were when I got them. It looked like I'd left them there forever and didn't drink it. Anyway, don't order coffee there.

Finally checked out this neighborhood spot on Central Ave in Phoenix. We got there about 9:30 and it was slightly crowded but manageable. You place your order at the counter and then are given a table to wait for your food. It was Sunday am and breakfast was being served. The orders came out quickly and looked good. Although the breakfast tacos definitely needed some flavor/seasoning. Very bland tasting. The omelette was a good size but the bread served with us was hard. Interior seems nice and the service was good. They also have a full bar with open seating.

Tried Fàme Caffe for lunch today and I get the hype now. It’s about 1.5 miles from my office off Central, and let me tell you it’s worth the quick drive. I had the chicken pesto sandwich, which came with a side of chips. You can taste the freshness in every bite. The bread had the perfect crunch, and the pesto flavor was spot on. The chips on the side? A solid bonus. I’d definitely come back this spot is a gem. I actually drove by once and saw a massive line out the door… and now I know exactly why. If you’re looking for a lunch spot that delivers on quality, I strongly recommend giving this place a try.

Cool little eatery. Used to be Applebee's if I remember correctly. Menu prices are pricey. Some meals were $22 per plate for basic burger and fries. Side mac n cheese was like $9. Food was very good. Drinks (alcoholic) were also decent. Honestly , this place is good. Serves great for a professional setting, company luncheon sort of ordeal or a quick little getaway to eat out. But it's expensive if you are on a budget. Would I go out of my way to come back here? Probably not. But to be fair I'm not a big person on going out to eat so that play a factor in bias of my judgement. In summary, for the most part, this restaurant is middle to upper class and you will likely be happy with the food drink and atmosphere. No complaints. Servers were friendly. Lot of flys and stuff kept flying around us. Took awhile for everyone to get their drinks. Most had finished waters before they got their drinks etc... place was a little busy

Welcome Chicken and Donuts is a delightful culinary gem that offers an eclectic mix of donuts and savory chicken dishes in a vibrant, cheerful setting. While the exterior may seem unassuming, the flavors within are anything but ordinary. Guests can choose their preferred chicken parts and pair them with an array of tantalizing sauces, including Korean chili, Japanese barbecue, and Vietnamese herb options.
What an amazing little restaurant in the middle of the Phoenix airport neighborhood. Thank god we saw this place before we drove out of town because our lives would have been less than perfect. Now that I tried their chicken sandwich with the Korean chili sauce, I can honestly say I am good. Really good. Thank you to the staff who took care of us! Bless you.

Amazing little gem in downtown Phoenix just a hop, skip, and a jump from Chase Field and Talking Stick Resort Arena. Austin served us up the most amazing meal, bloody Mary, and hooked us up with his favorite flavor donut so we could try it since it was our first time. He was cool, calm, and collected although there was a line out the door and he went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Only gave it 4 stars because the one table that was available was dirty and they ran out of 2 of the 3 things we wanted (wings & pork belly for the ramen). Otherwise, it was well worth the drive from Mesa, we will definitely be back. Can't wait to enjoy the patio in the cooler months!

There were so many options for doughnuts I didn't know where to begin. Luckily the woman helping me gave some good recommendations. We got an assortment dozen and each one was unique and delicious. We also got a piece of chicken. This is were the review loses two stars. The chicken breast was huge, juicy and crispy. It was also RAW in the center. The piece I ate, a small piece on the end was cooked and very tasty. My wife cut a piece from the center ate it and then realized it was raw. Luckily she did not get sick. So while the food was good, at least the parts that were cooked, we probably won't go back because our first visit we got raw food.

I love this place. But it’s so heavy i can only eat it maybe once a month. I love the classic fried chicken and the regular donut that comes with it. I can’t do any of the other fancy donuts on top of fried chicken I think I’d have a heart attack. My husband works down a few exits so i always get so excited when he brings this home after work. Having it for breakfast may seem odd but it is totally worth it and just delicious. The different sauces they have are very unique you will not find any other place that’s got the innovative sauces and the type of batter they use. Go give them a try you won’t regret it.

What a wonderful experience! Great Thai food; great service; great fun. We went to Glai Baan without reservations, not the best way, but know that they reserve some seats for drop-ins. The host greeted us warmly. It was about 4:30p, and all the inside seats for our group size (4 and a 3 year old) were taken so we were seated outside. A bit warm yesterday, 102°, but we were shaded by a nice bougainvillea. The waiting staff was great and tended to us like we were family. The food is the best Thai we have experienced here in the Valley. We will definitely return!! Highly recommend.

The shrimp Pad Thai was another standout. Service was outstanding—warm, friendly, and attentive. You can tell the food is made by people who are from Thailand. There is a beautiful little outdoor patio that’s perfect for relaxing, and there’s plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. Even if you’re sitting outside, they’ve got a huge fan that keeps things cool and comfortable during the summer.

The food here is delicious. Highly recommend the papaya salad, chicken wings, kanom jeeb, crab fried rice and Pad Thai. The mango sticky rice for dessert is also a great life choice. Service was excellent. I would definitely come back.

If you want quality Thai food you HAVE to come here. This restaurant was recommended by our friends and we are so glad they did. I believe we have driven by and havent noticed it. It is small and a bit hidden but it is a great gem. Prices are a bit high but its worth it. Service is amazing and everything was very clean. 10/10 Reservations recommended

We visited Glai Baan as our first restaurant stop in Phoenix after reading glowing reviews online — unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. Ambience & Service: The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the outdoor seating had a charming backyard vibe that felt relaxed and inviting. It’s definitely a cute spot to sit and enjoy the evening. Food: • Thai Pork Dumplings: These came highly recommended, but they tasted like Trader Joe’s shu mai. The dipping sauce was an odd mix — a sweet soy blend that didn’t quite complement the dumplings. • Papaya Salad: Bland overall, with only small hints of citrus. It lacked the bright, punchy flavors you’d expect from a good som tum. • Pad Kee Mao: The best of the three dishes, but still just average. For such a popular Thai staple, it didn’t stand out compared to what many other Thai restaurants serve. Overall: Nice people and a cute atmosphere (beware of mosquitoes), but the food was a letdown. We had high expectations given all the rave reviews, but sadly, it turned out to be a disappointing experience.

Worth the hype. Drinks were fantastic. Grub Ma and Roselle. I would order the Roselle again. The Yum het tod - tempera mushrooms has a vinegary sauce that made the dish. For mains we had Panang curry (beef) and we wouldn't let the waiter clear the bowl because the sauce was so good. The Kapro gai kai dao was fine for chicken. They had a special dish with pork belly and the rice in that was amazing.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Glai Baan, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we walked in, the exceptional service set the tone for the evening. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, making us feel right at home. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready to offer recommendations or refill our drinks promptly. The servers demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the menu, thoughtfully guiding us through the options and ensuring our dietary preferences were accommodated with ease. Their friendly demeanor and efficient service created a relaxed and enjoyable dining atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience. The authentic flavors of the Thai cuisine truly stood out, offering a perfect balance of spices and fresh ingredients that transported us straight to Thailand. Every dish we tried showcased the chef's dedication to authenticity and quality, complemented perfectly by the attentive care we received throughout the meal. I wholeheartedly give Glai Baan a five-star rating and highly recommend it to anyone looking for genuine Thai cuisine paired with impeccable service. Can't wait to return and enjoy another memorable experience! Check out the pictures associated with this review and follow on Instagram @ifooditravel

Wonderful dishes here, full of flavor & carefully executed! We had the fried mushrooms (sauce on this dish is to die for), steamed dumplings, stir-fried noodles & for dessert we had a coconut dipping sauce with Japanese milk bread (super yum). All delicious!! Highly recommend! We will be back

Copper Star Coffee is a popular spot housed in a refurbished gas station, offering locally roasted coffee, sandwiches, and pastries. The cafe was established by Bill Sandweg after receiving approval from local authorities to transform the disused property into a unique coffee destination. In addition to serving an array of coffee drinks, teas, and fresh juices, Copper Star Coffee also provides freshly baked pastries and light snacks for delivery.
This place is absolutely a hidden gem! The House Chai was amazing and the fresh bagel breakfast sandwich was to die for! You won’t be disappointed if you go here. The only con I can think of is the parking area is very small. So you will probably have to park on the street a walk a little bit. But the walk is worth it!

What a GEM! The service was sweet and welcoming. The atmosphere unique with a retro drive thru and awesome patio. I ordered a black Cold brew. It was smooth and had good flavor. No need to add any flavors, but they do have options will I will be back to try. I ordered a jalapeno cheddar begal with bacon eggs and cheese. You can taste the freshly made bagel! The whole experience was just a great start to the day. I will be back.

This place is 10/10 - the people, vibe, aesthetics. My boyfriend likes going to coffee places to find the best cappuccino and he rates theirs at 8.7/10 - had a really nice foam on top (couple of inches) and it was smooth. We also tried the huckleberry latte (hot) and it was both our favorite. The huckleberry wasn’t too overpowering, just perfect! Came here around 10am on a Saturday and although it seemed like it was crowded, we got our order fast and there were seats available. We spent 16$ plus tip for 3 drinks. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Love this place, has so much character!

If you love strong coffee, good music, awesome help this is your spot. The americano will keep you updated for days lol and the cubano was so yummy. M&m cookie of course was delicious 😋

There is a drive thru but I went inside since I only had a loose idea what I wanted to order. Iced lavender mocha and iced vanilla chai latte were both 10/10–truly perfect!! Breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, cut in half and wrapped in foil and a paper wrapper was also easily 10/10. I didn’t love the aesthetic/atmosphere personally, so I wouldn’t hang out here, but everyone was friendly and everything I ordered was excellent. The lavender syrup is house made, as is the chai—and you can totally tell if you’ve had crappy versions of those from other places, which I have. :D I meant to ask for an espresso brownie, but I had my toddler with me and she got me sidetracked trying to return the bagel menu, lol. Oh, that’s another thing: when the guy who called my name with my bagel saw I had my toddler in my arms, he immediately bagged it for me with some napkins, without me even asking. That was super considerate and kind!

If happiness had a flavor, this coffee shop nailed it! The coffee is flawless, the food is top-notch, and the atmosphere is pure positivity—a double pick-me-up that makes any day better. The staff are genuine legends, always warm and welcoming, and the vibe instantly lifts your mood. Not just a coffee shop, but the best way to fuel your body and your soul. Highly recommend!

This coffee shop is a big part of what makes Melrose cool. Their coffee is so smooth but bold with zero bitterness. The baked goods are are fantastic. I’m hooked on the hummus bagel, it’s full of vibrant flavor. It can be busy, but don’t let a line in the shop or drive through dissuade you, the staff is very efficient and the wait will not be long. I love seeing this place thrive. This is a safe place for everyone and the staff exemplifies diversity and inclusion. Don’t give your money to Starbucks when there is a superior and local choice.

I love the bagels, but the service has never been great. Most recently I bought a dozen bagels through the drive thru. Nice person came out to take my order. Took my credit card for payment and came back with a bill for $50. I was surprised and said Is this correct. They went back inside and came back with $11 in cash and two free drink tickets. I was still shocked because that’s $39 for a dozen bagels! She said inflation is bad and flour costs a lot. This happened a couple of weeks ago. I went in today and see on the menu a dozen bagels is still $18. Not sure why staff would mislead customers in the drive thru.

Ohya Sushi, Korean Kitchen & Bar offers private karaoke rooms and an expansive menu with sushi, yakitori and teppan grill bars. The locations boast a lounge vibe with extensive drinks menus as well. The restaurant was founded eight years ago and boasts excellent customer service.
Super fun atmosphere, great price for drinks and sake. This particular night we had a male server. He was in a hurry to go somewhere else and not help us. But the week before we had a woman and she was on it.

I’m eating while I write this review because I couldn’t wait to do it when I got home! Upon arriving we were greeted and sat. My partner and I decided to do the grill option tonight. There are multiple options at the end of the menu to do combos, and that’s what we did. We chose the small option which is feeding us both pretty well (says it feeds 2), in reality it could probably feed 3! It comes with enough meat, appetizers, and you can even pick a soup along with a dessert. The music is such a vibe, our waiter is attentive, and so far so good. Love it here! Definitely our new Korean BBQ spot. Also the Korean fried chicken was BUSSIN, trust me, GET IT!! Update: made it home and my review still stands! There was one mix up with the soju and sake , but they were upfront and honest about it so I wasn’t upset by any means. They still provided me with my correct order (the soju). They made this Monday night feel like a Saturday and I appreciate that so much since many people don’t have Saturdays off. Did I mention they have karaoke?! WE ARE DEFINITELY coming back with a party to sing!! Thanks Ohya!! (This was also my partner and I’s date night/anniversary)

The food came out very quick! Large portion sizes. Very hot and fresh. Sushi was great. Price point is good. I took off a star for service - we had fast service and multiple waiters. Drinks never went empty….but… out of the 4 serves we had one had a real attitude towards being at work it seemed. She also never spoke to me, just my husband. And rushed us! Wild. The other servers were pleasant and friendly. (She was wearing a blue long sleeve and jeans I think her name was Cindy?) July 12 2025 845 pm. Her tune instantly changed when she saw I was reviewing. Restaurant was clean. Atmosphere is great. Happy hour pricing is nice. It’s worth coming back to do the Korean BBQ. Menu also has a large selection.

Great late night Korean bbq spot. If you order a combo, it’s a ton of food (see pic). Sushi was mediocre, but the rest of the food was pretty good. Prices were decent for all of the food we ordered. Save room for the cheesecake!

Great food. We got to cook it right in front of the kids at the table we sat at! My 7-year-old had a great time being the chef! Sushi was a little bit on the pricey side, but everything tasted awesome! The service staff helped us every time we asked for something, even though sometimes we were a little bit difficult and didn't know what we wanted. My kids loved the food. I had a great time and it was a fun experience! 😎🤘

UPDATE: I truly have no idea what has happened to this place. New owner? I called and made a reservation early in the day before realizing that a change had happened at this place. I should have read the reviews. Went in and found they had no reservation for me. They still found us a table as the place was almost empty… strange, not normal. We sat down at some tables they moved together. We ordered drinks and after a long amount of time, especially for an empty restaurant, we received them. We asked for waters as well…. Never received any… ever. After ordering we realized that not all of our table top bbqs actually worked. They informed us to just use the ones that worked… alrighty then. Our large amount of raw meats arrived separately, not in a timely manner. One person, out of a party of 7 had to cook all the food due to the broken bbq tables. This person never got a chance to relax and eat. Also, we had NO silverware, NO plates, and NO napkins. After asking twice for these items, and never receiving them, we got up and took them off all the empty tables there. Otherwise we would never have received any. NK Absolutely ridiculous. All together the dinner was a fiasco. Never going back. Dark, little spot located in front of the ASU West campus. Can get very crowded... we have used the table hibachi as well as ordered food from the kitchen. Bulgogi was tasty. The spicy bulgogi was not too spicy. Even the kimchi isn’t very spicy. If you’re hungry make sure to order from the kitchen, instead of cooking at the table, as you receive much more food if they prepare it for you. We loved the kimchi cucumbers. I do feel the environment could be cleaner. I’ve never eaten the sushi from here. I like that I can order cold saki with my sake bombers.
Bizzy M — Google review
Disappointing. Never coming back. The food was mediocre. We booked a karaoke room, and the equipment was so outdated that it took us an hour to get going. Even when we did, it took 3 controllers to operate. The kitchen was slow. Our orders came out at different times, with two in our party not getting their meals until everyone else had already finished eating. In addition, the room was run down. Pretty sure that the sprinkler was not to code. Further, the building AC is not sufficient so they added their own oscillating fan.
Katherine W — Google review
I was a little torn on how to rate this place. I’ve been here many times but it’s been over 5 years ago now. I stopped going after a poor experience of being ignored for a long time and waiting a very long time to be able to pay and leave. Food was always passable to good, not exceptional. Service was not great but usually okay up until that bad experience. Well, recently I ordered delivery a couple times from here (due to limited late night options) and the food was good like a 4 out of 5. So instead of a 1-2 star rating from my past experience, I’m giving Ohya 3 stars.

Songbird Coffee & Tea House is a charming and trendy cafe located in the heart of Downtown Phoenix. Housed in a historic Third Street building from 1904, this cozy getaway offers ample indoor and outdoor seating with quirky decor. They serve brewed-to-order coffee using Cortez Coffee Roasters beans and a variety of bag and loose-leaf teas from Maya Tea Company.
I came here three years ago on a trip to Phoenix and it was the first place I came when I returned. This cafe is the cutest. The coffee is great, I got mine with oat milk and the oat milk was good. The interior is very charming, with different little nooks to sit in. There’s also some merch including t shirts, tote bags and stickers. This place is just so full of charm. I’ll be sure to come again on my next visit.

It’s a vibe! Variety of coffee types available. Wish they had a few more syrup flavors and 2%. Service was fast and friendly. It was almost instant magical fast. - even though they were very busy. The place was packed but it still had a relaxing and quiet vibe. There’s tons of flyers of what’s happening in the area. This is an lgbtq+ safe space. Very clean and well put together. The best part was Mr Inky Bob- though we did not meet the little gentleman, it really made me smile to see how loved this little critter is and how he’s around the whole shop in every detail. Prices are average.

Super calm and homey vibes. The atmosphere felt clean and comforting. If I didn’t have somewhere to be I could have stayed all day with a nice book. I got a cranberry muffin and a cappuccino. Both were freshly made and hit the spot. Service was quick and kind. I wish i saw the cat that is clearly a fan favorite. :) I will be back next time I visit Phoenix again!

Lovely experience. Songbird Coffee and Tea House is an oasis in downtown Phoenix. The staff was friendly and patient. Service was quick. My caramel latte and coffee cake were delicious. There is plenty of seating in the front room. As well as several tables and chairs outside. Including a swing on the front porch. We must protect Songbird and the little old house it occupies from the "progress" that has ravaged Roosevelt Row.

Things you should know: I. PARKING 1 hour free parking at a nearby garage (E Pierce St in the Skyline Lofts Retail parking) or parallel street parking, metered. II. SERVICE The barista will explained the menu well if you have questions. I like that they give the option of spicy vs sweet Chai; I haven't encountered that elsewhere. III. QUALITY The lemon poppy scone (vegan) is SO good and deceptively tastes buttery! My husband claims it's the best scone he's ever had. IV. CAPACITY There's indoor and outdoor seating available. We typically like to sit under the canopy of trees outside since those seats seem to be more readily available.

Great little coffee place in a historical house. Just a block from the AZ Center. Nice, casual place to grab drink in the morning. It’s a bit loud (echoey) with old wood floors inside, but there’s very nice outdoor seating. Service is pleasant and efficient.

Dang this place is pricey. $80 for two bowls of ramen (each with one add on), an appetizer, and two beers. That’s kind of insane, right? We opted for the shoyu and paitan broths, respectively, which were decent, but the first tasted like straight soy sauce and the second like American chicken noodle soup. They were good, at first, but quickly overloaded our pallets and became almost too rich to finish. The braised pork was good, but the add ons are quite expensive and it’s questionable if they’re worth the upcharge. Service was meh, as we sat with empty drinks for quite awhile while the two servers chatted at the bar, the rest of the restaurant being almost empty. The ambiance is cool, but that’s the strongest thing going for this place. Edit: so we came back three years later. Seems like subpar food is part of the culture here. I don’t understand it, it goes way over my head, but somehow Shady Park continues to survive by charging stupid prices for pathetic food. For example, the fried calamari is frozen trash, with way more breading than squid, and it’s as crunchy as pretzel sticks. But the worst is the sushi… ultra tiny pieces laid out pathetically on a gross looking wooden board. No wasabi or sliced ginger to be found. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, I blame you stupid happy hour A-frame that caught my eye on the curb. I’m so mad. Never again.

Absolute FIRE! I loved the service and I loved the ramen. The photo that I took for this review was a picture of all of the staff and a couple of other long-term customers. The ramen that I got was The spicy shio ramen and I substituted the pork with sea salt broth and grill chicken. This by far is one of my favorites, so much so that I saved this place in my must come back Phoenix list, as I am here on travel. Chris, Nicole, Louie, and Rob, AJ, Taylor, and I am in this picture. I am so thankful I found a place with soul before I leave tomorrow. The ramen is cooked to.absolure perfection and I met all of the cooks. I asked if they would do a selfie with me and they all said yes. Of course I had Nicole, who is a gift from God, who got everyone together. If this is the heart and soul of Phoenix, we are in good hands. Thank you for the amazing food, atmosphere, and the human connection that we should all look for in our dining experience. Thank you.

I’ve been here throughout the few years I’ve gone to Mill Avenue so like the last four years I’ve never really been a big fan of their Ramen to be honest I think it’s super overpriced. If you do the build your own, especially if you usually get the normal toppings like an egg, garlic oil and maybe corn I’ve never been to a place where they price a soft egg at , $2.05 I thought that was pretty ridiculous already so I got one of like there already made ones which was the curry paitan it was all right super heavy on the curry flavor for sure giving the name and the toppings were like kind of dry or old, especially the green onions, they just looked kind of old and then they give you one piece of Nori, which was really thick and tasted nasty to be honest lol as well as the cups if you want to have a beer are plastic stained cups so you don’t really know if they are cleaned or not it was nasty all I thought about I’ve never been a big fan but I do like the vibe. I just think they’re really overpriced and I’ve been to like 20 ramen places in Arizona not a joke, I just go here maybe every few years if my friends are wanting to go.

Honestly we got to the place randomly. I brought my son to ASU (competition). We walked in and I ordered a drink and wow! I loved it. Then we ordered couple of sushi rolls and the food was actually good. The place has a great vibe too. If you are considering check it out.

If you are looking for a Japanese fusion place then Shady Park is the right spot. I loved the experience here but took out 1 star as the Japanese food could have been more authentic. I am not blaming the restaurant as they need to adapt to local taste. Had salmon sashimi and it was quite fresh. And then also had some sushi and ramen. Food was served hot and it was all fresh. Also the person who was attending me was Jamie and she was very honest and clear with her opinion on all items in the menu. Good attitude.

Farmers Markets
Uptown Farmers' Market is a bustling gathering of over 100 regional vendors that takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The market offers an extensive selection of goods, including fresh produce, dairy products, baked goods, snacks, and kitchen essentials. With nearly 150 vendors participating in the market's shaded grass courtyard or indoor air-conditioned space during the summer months, visitors can shop for items ranging from Arizona Microgreens and Steadfast Farm's produce to offerings from Sonoran Pasta Co.
The Uptown Farmers Market is now a non-negotiable part of my weekend routine with Freddy. The vendor lineup is amazing, and every week I enjoying buying from a different vendor. Many vendors also set out water bowls for the pups which is awesome. My usual haul includes fresh bread, salsa and chips, bagels, a dog bone for Freddy (his favorite part), and a few bath bombs. The market staff are always super friendly and helpful, which just makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for both humans and very spoiled dogs.

This market is fantastic! It’s wonderful to get outside and walk around the market. There are great vendors and it gives you the opportunity to support local and create new connections. This is great for our community. I love all the chocolate and coffee. My favorite vendor is the one I get my spices from. I go through them so fast, they are delicious! They are made locally in Tempe, they are jam packed with flavor and they are ingredients I can actually say. Low sodium, gluten free, and I like that there are no suspicious ingredients. It’s cheaper to buy from the market. There is a seafood vendor that is incredible (i got a salmon dip) and i love buying my sourdough from the market!

Well organized! There are vendors that sell all kinds of dietary restricted foods, I'm simply flabbergasted! I was not expecting to take home much as a first timer and boy was I wrong. We actually found sugar free, gluten free, low calorie, vegan desserts that ACTUALLY tasted delicious! I was shocked to find delicious vegan cream cheese. I tried crispy Samosas for the first time, it was so delicious and made my headache go away, this whole experience was enlightening for my daughter and i. To make it better, the people were in good spirits and all the well behaved dogs were a cherry on top!

Great selection of vendors here for fresh produce, pet items, clothing, Knick knacks, snacks and breakfast/lunch items with a ton of food stands. Very dog friendly location and we love seeing some many beautiful dogs come out which gives our dogs socialization opportunities as well. Parking is plentiful if you arrive early and they use an indoor area once it starts getting a bit hot. Prices are reasonable in general given that it is a farmers market so higher than your local Walmart but it reflects in quality of goods for sure. Great way to support small and local businesses while having a lovely Saturday morning!

I live in Texas and visit the Phoenix area about twice a year. If I am here on market day, I don't miss! A few of my favorite vendors are Mr. K's, Little Italy, and Rough Life Dog Treats. Mr. K has unique and delicious cookies, quiche and coming soon...ice cream! My favorite cookies are the Earl Grey, Chili Mango, and the Elvis peanut butter banana. I love the spinach and mushrooms quiches and can't wait to try his ice cream! Little Italy has mozzarella made in site with samples. Their focaccia is wonderful and don't miss the caprese sandwich. I like mine with prosciutto. My pup loves Rough Life dog bones. They are super friendly and offer samples to the pups as well. They have an amazing variety and will help you pick out what's just right. Overall this is a wonderful market. It's large, sometimes very crowded, dog friendly on the campus by a place of worship with friendly docents, clean restrooms and a nice fellowship where you can cool off.

I visited the Uptown Farmers Market at 5757 N Central Ave in Phoenix and was so glad I did. The vendor lineup is fantastic, everything from ultra-fresh produce and artisan breads to locally made specialty foods and handcrafted goods. The layout is easy to navigate, parking was plentiful, and the morning vibe is relaxed yet lively. I appreciated how many small Arizona producers were represented, which made the visit feel truly local and community-driven. If you’re looking for a farmers market that delivers quality, variety, and a friendly atmosphere, this one checks all the boxes.

There's a paid parking lot that you park, go eat then walk to the game! I loved that! Crown Public House food not disappoint and was worth the 15 minutes we waited! They have outdoor seating with misters and indoors isn't huge but they are able to pack people in! The service was soo polite and attentive! The food tasted great!!! I honestly have nothing negative to say about this place! Go check it out!!!

We have eaten at this restaurant several times before games and have tried different menu items. Food is always delicious with generous portions. The wait staff is always friendly and accommodating. Not overly pricey like other restaurants downtown. Highly recommend.

Food was very mid. Wings were just okay, but it was a generous portion. Drink was fine. Our favorite part about the food was the fries. Our server was not very attentive or proactive. Cool atmosphere. We came for a trivia night and had a good time.

This store is always awesome 😎 been coming here almost 10 years and i remember when it was a Albertsons 🤣🤣 ( if you go down one of the aisles you can see the party / card area on the floor 🤣 and the dairy section with cows above is now the liquor section 🤣❤️) they had one more remodel recently and it made everything more fresh looking 😎❤️ they did get rid of the open service counters for meat and seafood but those employees are still helpful if you have questions. Its just the employees in the aisles that don't know English , so you have to look for things your self or maybe have a picture of the product to show someone if you are having trouble finding it . This store has every countries food here and its sooo wonderful ❤️❤️

Lee Lee International Market is a really interesting place to shop. They have a wide selection of international foods you don’t usually find in regular grocery stores, which makes it a great spot if you’re looking for something unique or authentic from different cultures. The store is big and can feel a little overwhelming at first, but once you know your way around, it’s easier to find what you need. Prices are fair, and it’s a nice option for anyone who enjoys trying new foods or cooking with ingredients from around the world.

I have been to this store for over 10 years and I have had very disappointed experience recently. Very dishonest business. I bought beef meat, and they put too much fat on the bottom and covered top with looking nice meat twice in a row. Steve, the manager, ignored my message and phone call. The fat potion is more than half of the whole meat.

Comicx Restaurant Bar & Store is a family-friendly spot in Phoenix's Desert Ridge Marketplace that brings together fans of all ages in a welcoming atmosphere. With 36 locations in Mexico, this eatery offers classic American fare with a twist, including nachos, burgers, and local favorites like chimichangas and churros. The space is filled with superhero and super villain statues, props, memorabilia, and themed areas inspired by popular culture icons like Star Wars and Spiderman.
Definitely an awesome experience. It was my first time there, visiting from Ohio. One thing I'm always hoping for when I go to a new place, is the customer service. Emily did an amazing job! She smiled, made me feel welcomed and supported me as I devoured the Infinity Burger, tall Vanilla Latte and Churro Bowl. I also got a picture from Jaz. Thank you for the great experience!

Super unique spot full of props and photo ops! Great place to visit if you’re in Phoenix and want to check out a neat place and grab some food & drinks. While we’d rate the atmosphere and service a 5/5, the food was decent but definitely overpriced in our opinion. While the taste was okay, the presentation of everything is what made it super cool and different. Would come back with people from out of town for them to experience it, as it gives a Universal Studios kinda vibe.

Great place to visit with the family. Came to celebrate my nephews birthday and had a good time. There is something for everyone here. Took our waiter quite some time to acknowledge us, however, service was pretty good thereafter. The food portions are large, so things are sharable. Food flavor is a 8/10, however, presentation takes it over the top! GET! THE! GUAC! Menu prices online are incorrect. They have gone up in price, however, it's nothing too crazy. For a group of 6 including drinks, the total cost was around $250, gratuity included (check photos for items ordered). Hosts were very informative about group sizes and wait times. Restrooms were very on theme and pretty clean, although the first stall is small. The space overall is not very big as there are some tight squeezes in between tables, however, the experience is worth it.

This is a tourist attraction but it’s super cool. There’s plenty of photo ops. The food was ready without delay. If you want upscale food this isn’t the place. The food is good. We were a party of seven bikers. We’ve had better and much worse. The ambiance is great until kids start screaming. We enjoyed ourselves because that’s how we live life. Good eats, great atmosphere & excellent company & service.

What a cool find! Took our grandson, and we ended up liking just as much, if not more! I loved all the displays, and the atmosphere was awesome! The food was really good, and the service was excellent! Even had video games the kids could play. I highly recommend at least coming here once to check out how cool it is! All the displays are for sale, too! The food is a little pricey, but totally worth it because of the service and atmosphere!

This place is super fun for anyone that enjoys the nerdy side of pop culture. The decor is awesome, and the vibes were great. Our waitress was nice and the portions were big. The food wasn't anything super special, but the cocktails were delicious.

We took the grandkids for lunch. It was fairly busy but not packed. They put the 5 of us at a table for four but we made do. The hostess was a little lacking in personality but the rest of the staff was super nice. Service was pretty slow and the food was just ok. The atmosphere is what makes the place cool. Southern restaurant (US)
American restaurant
Cafe
Golden Rule Cafe is a charming, family-owned restaurant that has been serving up delicious Southern and soul food since the 1960s. The cozy interior with wooden booths and a classic lunch counter adds to its nostalgic appeal. Named after founder Elizabeth White, this Phoenix institution is renowned for its timeless Southern dishes, particularly the golden-brown Southern fried chicken.
First time here, and it had to be on a game day Saturday, so parking was a little hairy, u have to park in back or they charge you 20 to park in front. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and seated. Took our drink order right away, drinks came out pretty quick but that was the last of it. Never saw them again for a refill. Food service was excellent, didn't have to wait too long, and it was pretty busy in there around 2 in the afternoon. Cornbread came out before our meal. If I had one gripe, it would be, could have used a little more butter or honey, wasn't that moist but was tasty. I had the fried catfish. Now I haven't had catfish this tender and juicy since I lived in the midwest, off the Mississippi River! It was delicious. I took their recommendations for the sides and had the greens and macaroni salad, both excellent. My friend got the fried chicken with mac n cheese and rice with gravy. All and all was a great experience, will definitely be back.

Mrs. White’s Golden Rule Cafe 808 E Jefferson St, Phoenix, AZ 85034 Positive Aspects I visited this restaurant after showing my listing at Crab n Spice. Friendly Staff**: The staff members were exceptionally friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Delicious Fried Chicken**: The fried chicken was outstanding—crispy on the outside, moist and light on the inside. I absolutely loved it and will definitely return for more. Negative Aspects Slow Service**: The service was quite slow. I arrived right as the restaurant opened, and it took 30 minutes for my iced tea to arrive. Tea Refills**: My tea was not refilled until I finished my meal, although the server remained friendly throughout. From the restaurant website: Mrs. Whites Cafe. A family-run business since its inception in 1964. We take great pride in serving up classic Southern soul food in a cozy, home-style atmosphere. Our recipes have been handed down through generations, allowing us to provide our customers with a truly unique and authentic experience. Come and enjoy a delicious meal at Mrs. White's Golden Rule Cafe and take a step back in time.

Made me feel like I was at Grandma's house sitting at her table. And the servers felt like cousins and family. Very warming and welcoming. Each bite unlocked a nostalgic memory. Walking in and seeing the picture on the wall told me all I needed to know, the food was prepared with love. Can't wait to return

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Mrs. White's Golden Rule Cafe on Sunday, September 7, 2025. The food was excellent! The service was a little slow, because they were understandably busy, but their food is definitely worth the wait! You seat yourself, and then staff will give you the menu (I was under the impression that you order at the counter when we first walked in). You pay at the register (up front). I had the catfish, macaroni salad, and the mixed greens; the catfish was out of this world, it was the best catfish I ever had! We told our server that, and my husband wasn't offended that Mrs. White's catfish dish was a million times better (my husband doesn't know Soul Food, however, he makes a more Midwestern-style type of Catfish at home, which isn't Soul Food and he knows that his version isn't Soul Food; we both never had Soul Food before until trying Mrs. White's Golden Rule Cafe). We then started talking to a wonderful man named Roger who was taking his 93 year-old mother for lunch who sat next to us (my husband said Hello to him first as he was sitting almost across or adjacent from him); Roger said he was born and raised in Phoenix, and grew up going to Mrs. White's Golden Rule Cafe; it was cool experience meeting him and his mother, talking with him. I don't run into Phoenix-natives very often. We were visiting from Tucson. We took a tour of the Rosson House nearby, and walked to Mrs. White's Golden Rule Cafe. I really wanted to try their peach cobbler, but we ran out of time. I cleaned my plate. That doesn't happen very often when we eat out. I usually have too much food, but this was the perfect portion, and I am tiny. The food was also exceptional! We will hopefully return again soon!

Absolutely outstanding experience. (I actually had a whole review typed up but lost it but trust me. Absolutely worth the time to visit. Bring your appetite and be patient if you visit during a rush hour. Definitely recommend the fried pork chops and cornbread. The fried chicken was amazing. Not greasy and oily like some places do.) Make some time and check this wonderful cafe full of downhome savory cooked meals asap! We plan to be back for more ourselves. Mmmmmm!! So good!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Visit Soul Food Gem in Phoenix! While traveling to Phoenix, Arizona for a real estate conference, I made it a point to support a local, family-owned soul food spot and I’m SO glad I stumbled across Mrs. White’s Golden Rule Café. Let me just say: this place did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, nostalgic, and full of history. The café gives off that old-school, welcoming vibe that makes you feel like you’re stepping into something special. There’s even a beautiful mural on the outside honoring African American legends like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Muhammad Ali—powerful reminders of the impact of community and culture. Inside, you can feel the love—it’s family-run, and it shows. The customer service was wonderful, and the food? Next-level. I ordered the fried chicken, and also sampled the smothered fried chicken—both were absolutely delicious. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, the greens were seasoned perfectly, and the cornbread was fresh and fluffy. Every bite tasted like it was made with care and soul. And I can’t forget the dessert I picked up a piece of pound cake, and oh my goodness, it was so, so good. Moist, rich, and just the right amount of sweetness. The perfect way to end the meal. Full disclosure: the food was so good that I forgot to take a picture when it first came out—I couldn’t help but dig in right away! The plate looked beautiful when served, but the photo I have is from when I was packing it up to-go after already enjoying a good portion. This was my first time in Phoenix, and this experience made it memorable. Mrs. White’s Golden Rule Café is the real deal great food, great people, and a true taste of tradition. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

What a gem in Phoenix. Upon walking in I was greeted by everyone working - So welcoming. The place is clean and cozy and I loved the counter-vibe where I sat. Food-wise it was fantastic. The fried catfish was straight outta the South. Mixed greens were so, so amazing - Full of flavor with the right light heat, no need to add anything. Mac and cheese was hearty and yummy, not soupy and bland. Cornbread topped off an amazing lunch, all washed down with some great sweet tea. Now one thing to note - They make the food fresh to order so it’s not a super quick lunch spot but oh my, worth the extra 5 or so minutes for fresh food. Seriously, this place is good enough to run to on a long layover. 1000% I’m going every time I’m in Phoenix.

Customers can customize their treats with various toppings or choose from pre-designed combinations like Lifes a Peach, featuring house granola and caramel.
Vegan dessert heaven! Nami café definitely deserves the high rating it has. After trying breakfast and desserts here, I’m convinced. The big ole burrito was delicious. But my favorite was the strawberry danish. Perfect texture, perfect taste. Soooo good! Service was super friendly. The place itself has a nice atmosphere. Outside seating available on front and back. Nami offers the best vegan donuts and ice cream in Arizona! My son’s favorite item is the chocolate milkshake! Their chocolate cookies dough is absolutely delicious. You can eat it raw or baked. Their custom cakes are also beautiful and delicious. Everything is reasonably priced considering it’s all vegan and sometimes vegan items cost more.

I was craving ice cream but due to a dairy allergy, I’m quite limited. Stopped into Nami and WOW. They blew me away not only with the flavor but the customer service. - The tSoynami (fluffynutter’n) was 10/10. I don’t usually care for ice creams with coconut bases but this wasn’t noticeable at all and the textures and flavors of it all hit JUST right. - The oatmeal cream cookie was SO soft and delicious it just melted in my mouth. - The bagel was just really good lol same with the jam love a good ole bagel with jam.

Nami is hands down my favorite spot for breakfast. As a vegan, knowing everything here is 100% plant-based takes all the stress out of eating out. The Wing Ding Dang burrito is my absolute favorite. It’s huge, flavorful, and always hits the spot. The donuts and pastries are dangerously good, and the coffee is great too. Everyone who works here is kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The vibes are always chill and positive. We come here all the time, and it never disappoints.

Bar
Dubliner Irish Pub & Restaurant in north-central Phoenix is a lively tavern that offers a mix of Irish and American cuisine, along with a wide selection of drinks. Despite its name, it's more popular among UFC fans than literary enthusiasts. The pub has been around for over 20 years and is known for its great traditional bar food, live music events, and various entertainment options like darts and pool tables.
This place is wonderful And very Authentic! The food is Great, the Vibe is great. We really enjoyed ourselves. They have a really cute Bartender/Server there. I think her name was Cheyenne. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend.
Michael D — Google review
Visiting Irish pubs is kind of a hobby of mine. I've been to quite a few. I was visiting Phoenix and trying to decide between The Dubliner and Seamus Mccaffrey. I chose the Dubliner. The service wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. They don't have a menu for the whiskeys Hell they don't even have a list. I ordered a takeout entree and they brought me a box, no bag, no cutlery.. I asked if they had cutlery and the bartender was like uhh, and happened to find a set under the bar. They were one hundred percent intending for me to just pick up a box of shepherds pie and walk away lol I guess you can eat Shepard pie with your hands but a fork is kind of customary when buying a 20'ish entree. Still didn't get a bag, but carrying a box isn't going to kill me. The atmosphere was kind of dead. The food was ok, not good, not terrible. I asked for fish and chips to go and they said they don't do that because fish and chips don't do well for take out. I understand that but not giving me the option feels odd. In general not a bad experience, but definitely not one I'd repeat. I went to Seamus the following day. MUCH better. Hope that helps someone trying to make the same decision. Upon the reply of the pub I have to add that the extent of the liquor on hand is not that extensive by any means. Seamus has easily three times the amount of choices and they somehow managed to print them out to paper. I guess if you want an Irish themed dive bar and not a pub; you have a place to aim towards.
Ralph R — Google review
Good Friday fish fry, all you can eat and reasonably priced. They did charge extra for more coleslaw despite the fact this came with the first order of fish & chips, as well as surcharging for paying with a card. And live music started around 8pm which made it virtually impossible to have a conversation, loud enough to wear ear plugs and still be loud.
Roy F — Google review
Always pretty good. Not gourmet. Just a good irish pub. Incredibly friendly staff always. If you love the "sports on every wall" you're good. I only go when there are no "major" sporting events. The live music for me is always a little too loud as well. But I go to meet and talk with friends. I would love a little more real irish pub atmosphere and less sports bar that you get everywhere else but this is one man's opinion and you know what they say about opinions. ENJOY!

Love this place and the servers are AMAZING!! We have had T twice as a server, Great service! We going for the fish fry. But my boyfriend had the mussels last he said they were great. He was impressed. Great job all around!

The bartender told the young woman next to me to “go kill herself” and yelled other degrading slurs at her as she tried to talk calmly to him and respectfully. He also stated his mother owned the bar and he can talk however he wants. He caused a huge scene and then proceeded to tell me it wasn’t him it was the young woman when in facts i witnessed the entire situation from the second she walked in, he was nothing but rude to her as I guess he knew her from years ago. I will never be going back to such a place where the customers are treated like trash and told to literally take their own lives directly in front of other guests. Whoever his mom is or “owner of the bar” clearly never taught her son any manners, respect, or self control. This was an awful experience. And as a mother who has suffered the loss of a child due to suicide I am extremely triggered and emotionally unwell due to this experience.

The Hermosa Inn is a refined boutique hotel with Southwestern-style rooms, featuring gardens and an outdoor pool. Lon's patio offers stunning views of Camelback Mountain and a four-course menu experience for $95, including dishes like octopus with baby iceberg lettuce or foie gras torchon. The restaurant, Lon's at the Hermosa, combines earthy adobe architecture with a sophisticated ambiance and offers a modern culinary experience that blends old-age cooking methods with classic European techniques.
We’ve been married 55 years. In the past we’ve celebrated anniversaries in Switzerland, Ireland, Germany, and Canada. This year we had no plans and thought we’d just have a special meal at one of our favorite Fort Worth restaurants. Remembering our dinner on my birthday at Lon’s in February we decided to stay at The Hermosa Inn two nights for our anniversary. Everything about our stay was special. The room was very nice, the staff all friendly and welcoming, our anniversary dinner at Lon’s was great. Breakfast with Lattes was also special.

The hermosa Inn was such a peaceful and perfect vacation trip. Went on June as solo trip and wished I could take the whole family with me. I am planning to comeback bc I loved it so much. I saw, it is pets friendly, it makes it even better, and the food from the restaurant is the most delicious food I had in Arizona. Omg! The customer service is so friendly and felt so welcomed all the time. Rich, Mario and the valet parking guys very attentive. Felt like home at this place. It is perfect for a family trip!

After dining at Lon’s several times, it was a no-brainer for my husband and I to celebrate our honeymoon at the Hermosa Inn. We selected the Deluxe Casita, which did not disappoint. We were located in a remote area of the property, allowing for ultimate privacy. Upon our arrival, staff had placed a beautiful plate of macarons and chocolate-dipped strawberries in our room to congratulate us on our marriage. Our casita was very spacious and well appointed. The bathroom felt like our own personal spa – it had a huge walk-in shower, an abundantly sized water closet, and an old-fashioned porcelain bathtub large enough for two, and long enough for my 6’2” husband’s frame. The bed must have been a Cal-King, because surprisingly, that was long enough for him as well. The enormous walk-in closet had a safe to store our valuables. The Hermosa Inn grounds were stunningly beautiful and the pool was quite refreshing during these 110-degree days, especially when the pool staff delighted us with complimentary homemade ice cream sandwiches during the middle of our swim. The food was exquisite and the wait staff at Lon’s were very attentive, friendly and engaging. Throughout our stay, everyone, from the valets to the ladies at the registration desk, treated us like royalty, which helped to make our honeymoon extraordinary. My husband and I are planning to come back and stay later in the year to enjoy the property during the winter months. If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind experience to celebrate a special occasion, I highly recommend the Hermosa Inn. They will go out of their way to assure that you are not disappointed.

First-time visitors! We stopped by on a whim and loved our experience so much that we came back for a longer visit the next day! Both servers were super sweet -- Shoutout to SOMER for her stellar customer service! I ordered the STRAWBERRY CHAMPAGNE MARGARITA on both visits. It's super juicy and refreshing. My husband wanted to try one of their mocktails, but didn't know which one to choose, so SOMER put together the best mocktail we've had while in Scottsdale, a LAVENDER SPRITZ, which was absolutely delicious! Our server, Summer, attended to our needs and really went out of her way to connect with us as a group. The drinks and food were amazing and served promptly. Highly recommend!

This is set up for bachelorette parties. Several going on at the time we were celebrating a birthday. Food selection is not broad, but quality is good. Extensive wine list and cocktail selection. Very loud. Lots of photo booths and photo ops. Reservations are a must. We had one.

Did a girls trip to Arizona to celebrate my 30th birthday! We absolutely LOVED Wine Girl and had the best experience. Nevaeh and Brooke were amazing and so much fun. We did not want to leave. Also, you MUST try the Barbie shots. They’re delicious and the presentation is everything 🙌🏽 Great vibes, cute drinks that are equally delicious and such a fun time! Also, super cute merch and plenty of photo ops 😊 (We didn’t get food, so I can’t give insight on taste, but the charcuterie boards looked very well done)

5 Stars – My New Favorite Spot in Scottsdale! Wine Girl is everything you’d want in a girls’ day or night out—and then some! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with an inviting, Instagram-worthy space: floral bouquets, a stylish interior, cheeky merch, and the kind of vibe that just makes you want to stay a while. The wine selection was unique and thoughtfully curated, and the charcuterie board? Absolutely delicious—every bite paired perfectly. But what truly made our visit unforgettable was our amazing waitress and host, Somer. She was incredibly attentive, had the best wine and food pairing suggestions, and made us feel like VIPs the entire time. Her energy, expertise, and genuine care for our experience made us never want to leave. This is hands down my number one spot in Scottsdale for any girls’ outing, and I’ll definitely be coming back—especially during Somer’s shifts! 🍷🌹

Nice spot for a casual drink. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I sipped on some bubbles and met some nice people. The music is spot on. Stop by for a glass or two when you're in Old Town Scottsdale. Cheers! 🥂

The vibe is giving the Real Housewives of Orange County. It’s a laid back feel yet posh and fun. There’s great Instagramable spots. I had a great Malbec and the bartender gave a generous pour. Botoxed guests are welcome

Valentine is a popular spot in the Melrose district, known for its laid-back atmosphere and eclectic Southwestern cuisine. It features a lounge area and serves brunch and dinner, offering unique specialty drinks like cacao cold brew and squash latte. Attached to a vintage furniture store, it's a favorite among foodies looking for delicious pastries or a place to work. Additionally, Valentine offers a cookie and confection box with an array of sweets available for pickup after 11 am.
What an absolute gem of a place. I was skeptical at first, but my wife said I would love it. They have the most amazing and unique drinks and foods. The vanilla corn cappuccino was off the charts good. Then I ordered the pretzel which came with a unique butter and honey, Tomato/tahini bread, and their Olive dish. Flavors that you never had before. This establishment opened in 2020 and survived Covid so that says a lot. I will definitely be going back and want to try some of their breakfast items next. Also, the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
Erik L — Google review
The food was decent, but the place was really busy and loud for a Sunday brunch. My eggs came out wrong and the steak was basically raw since they never asked how I wanted it cooked. On the bright side, the drink was great and the pastry ended up being my favorite part.
Jasmine R — Google review
The vibe was good. But the food was not worth the expensive price tag and we werent sure who was our server, as it was inconsistent. All were nice but it was an odd experience. The presentation of the food was nice, but the flavor was lacking.
Ben V — Google review
Our new favorite spot for a flavorful bite or a unique beverage for breakfast or lunch/dinner. The ambiance is modern and beautiful. Their pastry menu is out of this world. Loved trying the two matcha drinks on their menu. Matcha tonic was my favorite of the two. I have also ordered a classic iced matcha that was made to perfection (matcha people iykyk). The service is always great too ☺️

Cool atmosphere. Attached to a vintage thrift store. Incredible coffee menu with exciting and inventive offerings. The brunch menu was robust and accommodating to many dietary needs. Only 4 stars instead 5 because of texture issues. The BLT was soggy and the tacos lacked any form of crunch or bold taco flavor. The star was the bowl of tots, crisped to perfection, smothered in aoli and topped with seeds for a fun twist.
Bay W — Google review
This restaurant is an amazing hidden gem. The menu is insanely good. The quandary becomes which items to order because they all are so good. A crazy eclectic taste explosion in virtually every selection using the highest quality ingredients. Great cocktails and a very cool space too.

I really don’t get the bad reviews — we went for breakfast and everything was amazing! The staff were super friendly and even let us stay inside with our dog since they have a cozy lounge area. We had the churro waffles and the seasonal pastry — both were absolutely delicious! Honestly one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. The coffee was also fantastic; they use local ingredients that give it a really nice, refined flavor. Definitely worth a visit!
Ariane P — Google review
We had a dinner reservation here and as our party was late, we asked if our table could be seated later. Two different hosts took time to figure that out and we opted to have drinks at 1912 until our party arrived. We sat at the bar for over 20 minutes before finally receiving the menu we asked for, despite no one else being seated at the bar. Then when our party finally arrived we opted to remain in 1912 for our dinner as they never changed our reservation and we didn’t have much time left. After asking to have a menu we were just brought over the full course appetizer with caviar we never asked for, before even getting a menu. The communication here with much of the staff seems to be a problem based on our experience. It’s a shame because we came here many times and generally had a good time before facing any difficult situation that needed to be addressed appropriately.

Nestled in the heart of Phoenix, Luana's Coffee and Beer is a delightful spot that perfectly marries the laid-back atmosphere of a dive bar with the cozy ambiance of a coffee shop. This eclectic cafe is an ideal retreat for both remote workers and those looking to socialize. With its retro decor, rotating beer taps, and an enticing menu featuring everything from hearty breakfast pizzas to creative sandwiches like the "Damn. I'm so happy you did," Luana's offers something for everyone.
Great service, lots of coffee options, cool vibes, amazing food!! I love their pizzas and their salads (chill bro chill is my fave and it’s huge). And they serve their breakfast options all day! Their breakfast pizza is FIRE !! I appreciate that they’re open late into the night since most coffee shops close much earlier around here! I have been coming here since they were at their original location, and now that I’m moving I will definitely miss this spot a lot. Highly recommend 🤍🤍

This place has AMAZING coffees! Absolutely ADORE the atmosphere. The vibe is 70s and 90s combined and it is stellar! The chairs are unique velvety vintage and sinking into one to enjoy an epic coffee is glorious. Never been to a better place. Highly recommend you stop here.

Our favorite go-to shop to satisfy all our of cravings. You can’t go wrong from the food to the drinks to the people who work here. We’ve been coming for a few years now and I’ve always been 100% happy with my time spent here. The pizza is some of favorite to eat when we come but the Rexfast is the best guilt pleasure. We love the coffee here, it’s always fresh and delicious. The cocktails are to die for if your needing that. And the people, you can tell they love their job. Aaron and Ky have really created a special place here and they treat their crew like family. You have to stop by and enjoy the place, it’s a must.

Not local but i’m a frequent visitor to the Phoenix area. found this place after a round of golf in the morning and absolutely fell in love. the staff was super friendly and went over the menu and gave a little history about the place. i tried their She Loves Me Not latte and it was chefs kiss, absolutely delicious. it’s coffee shop meets dive bar which is genius. has cozy, eclectic decor that makes you feel right at home. this has become my go-to stop whenever im in phoenix. i’ve only ever been in the morning but the staff said they host trivia nights and little events which is cute. definitely a must try whether your local or just visiting!!

waited 30 minutes for takeout on Labor Day morning ordered two things - BYO breakfast sandwich, and the Rexfast. both were just sorta average. eggs were overcooked on the sandwich, which is a pet peeve of mine. the eggs on the Rexfast were better, but this time the spam was overcooked. overall I wanted to like the place, because the inside had a nice vibe, but left disappointed in both the food and the service

JL Patisserie, owned by Jenna Leurquin, a Le Cordon Blue-trained chef, has two locations in Phoenix and Scottsdale. The bakery offers an array of pastries and breads, including traditional baguettes made with a natural starter called Mother. Bread options range from whole wheat and spelt loaves to brioche dinner rolls.
My partner and our friend brought croissants from here for me recently and I have been wanting to get in here since then. I am so glad I did. First of all, I had been having a bad morning, so the young man who worked behind the counter who gave me great service and a nice smile actually made my day. Delicious pastries and coffees. Highly recommended.

Tried this place twice now. I feel like all the attention is given to the main location, with this one not getting the proper training or staff. both times i’ve been here i’ve ordered coffee, and have waited quite a bit for it. the coffee & flavor is very mellow, but fine. i love coffee & pastries and even went to france to try them, so my expectations for this place have been extremely high; yet both times i’ve been left feeling underwhelmed at the flavor in the treats. the location itself lacks character however i know it’s new and the main focus is the baked goods.
Gina — Google review
This JL Patisserie in Central had some real nice pastries, we bought 4 stuffed croissants that were real good. The real pistachio filled pastrie was outstanding the ham and cheese was good. The macarons have a high flavor are are outstanding. The other item are to be had later and look real good. The service was outstanding, the only criticism I had was the ordering process is a bit odd unless you know exacly what you want and not walking back and forth from the display to the register. Overall cost was not bad for some real fresh pastries. Simple seating was available inside and out. Update, pumpkin tart was awsome, that hint of pepper in it of what we believe was great. The 🍋 cake was overpowering but awsome.

This place is amazing. We come here every Sunday, and the consistency and quality are so reliable. Coffee is also yum. The BEST pastries and croissants that you’re going to get in Arizona. I feel like it’s a hidden gem.
Carissa H — Google review
I agree with many of the reviews, I guess we expect higher quality paying higher price. I was waiting the opening on Central first location. I was disappointed first time with the morning bun, it was wet inside not what I was expecting. I tried the croissants, am not fan of the almond extract… also too sweet the pistachio o the fillings..Whole Foods pastry many pastries taste the extract that I don’t care for..it..way too much.. The eclair, the Choux wasn’t wow and the cream was too dense too. I still go once in a while but prices are too high..

JL Patisserie 4700 N Central Ave ste. 121, Phoenix, AZ 85012 For sale: My Tea 4750 N Central Ave. During my recent visit to JL Patisserie, located at 4700 N Central Ave, Suite 121 in Phoenix, AZ, I was there primarily to photograph my latest listing, which includes both the business and building of My Tea at 4750 N Central Ave. Next door JL Patisserie is a delightful bakery known for its artisanal pastries and inviting atmosphere. On this occasion, I was thrilled to find a selection of four distinct types of croissants, each crafted with care and precision. I couldn't resist adding a pistachio croissant to my order, and it was an absolute revelation. With just one bite of the pistachio croissant, I felt as if I had been transported to a culinary paradise. The rich, nutty flavor combined with the flaky, buttery layers created a heavenly experience. I had initially planned to share these delectable treats with my girlfriends, but the temptation was too great; I found myself wanting to indulge in every last bite. JL Patisserie not only excels in flavor but also in presentation, making it a perfect spot for both pastry lovers and those looking to enjoy a cozy atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for a quick treat or planning a gathering, this bakery is sure to impress.

The pastries are really yummy I enjoy the pistachio chocolate crossaint. The coffee is okay nothing to rave about. Service was kind of slow and the workers don't seem to lovw nor hate working there. The BREAKFAST SANDWICH was nasty it had sooooo much grease and the potatoes were super greasy. You can tell whoever cooked and served them didn't place them on a paper towel after frying. And the sausage inside the sandwich was so thick and greasy, it was as thick ask my fork see the picture I have!

Last year I was in Phoenix to meet with a valued client, and wanted to bring something that was of good quality for our morning meeting. I pre-ordered two dozen pastries from JL Patisserie, and the reviews from my client's team were incredible. They raved about how delicious everything was and were very impressed I had found a local, high quality vendor some of them hadn't even heard of before rather than going with a predictable big chain brand. I appreciated that everything was boxed and ready right on time for me to pick up, and the service was very friendly. This will always be my go-to when I'm in AZ!

If you're on the lookout for a delightful dining experience, look no further than Pa'La. This casual eatery specializes in wood-fired organic vegetables, grains, and seafood dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The unique cooking method not only enhances the flavors but also ensures that each dish is moist and tender. With two locations to choose from, Pa'La offers an array of tapas inspired by Japanese, Mediterranean, and South American cuisines.
Experience was fantastic with gap in enjoyment. Every dish fired individually and served individually, that includes your sides, so you get potato first, 20 min later your steak. Appetizer come after your main course. Each party on the table gets their food at different time, every dish photo posted came out with minimum 10 min up to 25 min of another one. Excuse is don't want the food sit in the kitchen and come out fresh, my explanation would be poor timing as our order come as one, doesn't makes sense food come out seperate with 10-15 or even 20 min later... And yes I've worked in kitchen, I've managed restaurants and yes been to culinary school! Food was delicious, serving sequence was frustrating. Decor and design is beautiful and my favorite style of restaurant. We will definitely return. Anticipate $100 per person if you are hungry! Server was nice, friendly and welcoming!

An interesting little place. It is a converted home, so seating is very limited. We tried the espresso sake Martini, the winter salad, the NY strip, the whole wood grilled fish and the Japanese sweet potatoes. Thumbs up for the salad, steak and sweet potatoes. The fish needs to be seasoned better on both sides and pass on the sake espresso martini. The service is good and even the seating is limited it’s very cozy. They also have a larger restaurant in downtown Phoenix with their plenty of seating. Their menu changes a lot, so be sure to check the specials. It is pricy, expect to pay about $100 per person for food, drink and tip.

Went on a date with hubby, and this place did not disappoint. Tried the 4 course dinner, and every plate was delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked, buttery and delicious. The service was amazing 👏 and we added the wine tasting, which was a great choice. We were offered different wines that paired perfectly with each plate. Will definitely go there again!

First time at this location, food is just as delicious as the dt spot. Parking is easy to find, right behind the restaurant. Service is on point, the patio is also very cute. Went with signature 4 course testing menu, appetizers have amazing and balanced flavor, grilled fish is always a great choice at Pa’La. Can’t wait to come back to try their lunch menu.

This was, without a doubt, the best dining experience we've had in Phoenix. Though we walked in unplanned, we were immediately impressed. The food, particularly the wood fire cooking, was great. The extensive wine list is noteworthy. However, the true highlight was our server, Fernando. His expertise, charm, and attentive guidance through the menu were outstanding. He elevates the entire dining experience. We will be returning, specifically for the superb service Fernando provides.

OBON Sushi Bar Ramen is a top spot in North Scottsdale, offering a blend of modern Japanese cuisine with a contemporary twist. The restaurant boasts two locations in Scottsdale and one in Tucson, making it an enchanting choice for a date night. Their handcrafted menu features classic sushi options, poke bowls, and appetizers that are worth the visit alone.
We recently discovered Obon and happy that we did! The sushi was very good and the restaurant was fun and lively. We loved the vegetarian dumplings - something we typically would not order. The dumplings were very light and the sauce was delish! Also really enjoyed the Wasabi cocktail which had just the right amount of heat without being overpowering.

Beautiful restaurant, atmosphere and we had a great server. My only complaint that I kind of see a trend with is the smaller than normal sushi rolls. You guys should make the rolls a lot bigger and add a few pieces to justify the prices. Other sushi places have cheaper rolls bigger quantities and more flavor. Spicy tuna could be hotter. Only complaint, especially for the prices. Keep prices in mind too. We ordered x2 ramen, a fried rice, x2 sushi rolls, and x2 pork baos. Plus x2 soft drinks and a large sake and beer. We were at $122 without tip. Highly recommend the pork baos. Those stole the show!! 3 stars for the price and small sushi rolls. But good food for sure.

First time here and it was great. The atmosphere is loud and vibrant. It's got a neighborhood vibe like I could take my kids here or go on a date. The food is delicious and the staff are all very nice and attentive. Highlights: pineapple sake- pretty fantastic, eating your way through the happy hour sushi menu, those chicken wings- I'm not sure what's on them but I definitely need more. Will definitely be back.
Dena B — Google review
If I could leave zero stars, I would. Food was tasteless!.No spice for my Teeny Tiny SPICY tuna roll. Or crunch in the shrimp tempura roll. The edamame hummus dip needed seasoning & they were very stingy on carrots & cucumber to dip. Limp pieces of pickle were useless. And no cabbage leaves. Sushi was small with no veggies and no pieces of ginger or dollop of wasabi. That was supposed to be a dinner for two that cost $45. Total ripoff. We were still hungry and very disappointed.

Very yummy and nice sushi restaurant in Scottsdale. I just came here accidentally but everything was wonderful. I extremely love Salmon Sashimi here, they were so fresh and Miso soup also a good choice. The restaurant is very clean, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable, perfect. You can pick the table outside too. The location is quite far from my home but I do not mind :) In general, highly recommended

By far my favorite sushi and ramen bar in Scottsdale. The restaurant is large, fun, and modern. The vibe is always fun and comfortable. The staff is always very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We always feel amongst friends when dining. The drink menu is very creative and features unique and fun cocktails. The food menu is extensive and delicious. The apps, entrees, ramen bowls, and small plates are all delicious. Highly recommend animal fries, Obon edamame, and the steambuns for starters. The teriyaki dish and pork ramen are both fantastic. Overall one of the best dinner spots in Scottsdale. Happy hour is also very good and worth checking out. Great place for a date nite or family dinner.

Great place to get good food! The menu has a great selection of ramen, sushi, cocktails, and sake. The service staff is very friendly and fast. The food tastes great and has terrific flavors.

The best part of this restaurant is probably the wait staff and the atmosphere. We’ve been there a few times and went there more for the convenience of the location. I’m not saying that their food isn’t good. They are good if you simply want Asian food. But is it authentic Japanese food? I don’t think so.
