House of Tricks is a charming restaurant located in a 1920s bungalow, offering a cozy and intimate dining experience. The establishment features a patio with a fire pit and bar, providing an ideal setting for outdoor get-togethers. The restaurant's picturesque outdoor seating area is surrounded by lush gardens and a goldfish-filled pond, creating a romantic ambiance for guests.
This place is honestly pretty amazing. A fancier dining option for a reasonable price in Tempe. The restaurant does very well with sauces and garnishes in their dish. Generous portion size for the entree, and my pup enjoyed the leftover that I brought back. All the meat dishes that we had were so tender that we barely used the knife. The cocktails are on point and have a good amount of alcohol in them. Cozy indoor seating and more lively outdoor seating. They have well placed heaters so you don’t get cold. I recommend making a reservation ahead especially on the weekend. The staff was absolutely friendly and explained the off-the-menu items well. Good dessert options with a selection of dessert drinks. They were doing wine tasting for dinner when i visited (December 2021).

Phenomenal food, good wine selection, great service, and amazing outdoor seating! Treated ourselves to a fancy dinner and it was definitely worth it. The weather was terrible, but our server, Avery, was accommodating and placed us right next the the fire pit. I was pleasantly surprised with every single thing we had. The pork shank’s jalapeño apple jam was mind blowing! The chef’s attention to detail in every recipe is what sets this food apart. Highly recommend!

Some street and alleyway parking, but very limited. Takes cash and card and as of 6/26 is still requiring masks if you are not seated; staff still wearing masks as well. We only had drinks and an order of bread, but the spot is really cool and servers were above average, so I wanted to give a review. Cocktails were tasty and well presented and there's a cool outdoor bar with a TON of outdoor seating. One of the cool things about this place is that it's almost completely surrounded by vegetation and fountains, cooling off the air and practically giving House of Tricks its own weather in the midst of an unforgiving Arizona climate. I will update my review once I head back for food, but for now I can tell you this is an awesome spot to grab an afternoon drink in a really unique and awesome setting with down to earth and helpful servers. Recommended!

House of tricks, house of surprises! We love this restaurant, attracted by the interesting name, but the good quality tasty food, the nice green environment, great service are all beyond our expectations. Every dish we ordered was so good. Pork shank is a big dish, we did not finish at all. Maybe I only had half and starting to feeling full. The portion is huge, really make the price worthy. Apple bread pudding dessert is so good! Goons try! We would like to come back but they said they will close the restaurant permanently soon, omg so sad to see such a nice restaurant to go! Sad!

Our experience was perfect! From the friendly bartenders making great drinks, to Andre our waiter who was beyond attentive and sweet. They have a wonderful variety on the menu. I had the tenderloin and it just melted in my mouth! The atmosphere is charming and romantic. Great date night! Enjoy and outdoor table if you can. They had heaters and fleece blankets for our laps to keep us comfortable!! I loved this restaurant 😊

So this is very weird that I haven’t reviewed house of tricks. I am. It sure how many times I have been here and or how many photos of the food I have taken. This is one of my favorite places in Arizona. Always an exceptional meal and great cocktails. A lot of the stuff on the menu changes often so I’ve had a lot of options. From duck, chicken, and lamb shank. Like the photo I’ll post here. This dish! One of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life. The purée was just to die for. Just simply amazing. As I write this I realize I need to see if I can go back for it again before it’s gone but it probably is. Here is also a photo of their duck breast and the Salvatore caramel bread pudding. Also very delicious. One thing not pictured is the Korean bbq ribs. Those bad boys are always worth getting for an appetizer. Such good taste. Took left overs home because I was super excited to just have that taste again later. Also not pictured are my cocktails but do you really need to see a picture of those in order to try them for yourself?

My husband treated me to this amazing restaurant for my birthday in September of last year. The staff was very attentive and nice. They were knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients. Our reservation was for 6pm and we dined outside. The experience was simply amazing. I was a bit bothered by the fact that it was downtown Tempe and you could here the college kids revving cart engines and motorcycles but there dining experience overshadowed all of that and I forgot about everything else outside the restaurant. The cocktails are great also! Great prices also. My husband and I each had an appetizer, entree, bacon arugula salad and 2 cocktails each and our bill was about $140 without the tip. WELL WORTH THE VISIT!!!!

Charming, spacious patio offering delicious dishes. The pork is extraordinary, as is the bison meatloaf. Don't leave without dessert - the bread pudding is a perfect ending to an incredible meal. I've already made reservations to go back!

Citizen Public House, established by former Cowboy Ciao culinary master chef Bernie Kantak, offers a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere and serves classic American dishes with a modern twist. The menu features delectable options such as scallops, crispy sesame pork belly, the famous Original Chopped Salad, and delightful desserts. The restaurant has received numerous accolades since its opening in 2011 and is known for its creative craft cocktails and barrel-aged drinks.
one of the best salmon i've ever had, exquisitely pan seared and soft in the middle. seafood chowder was wonderful too. didn't realize it was restaurant week. Jason at the bar took great care of me. most americans wouldn't like the dessert as much, probably thinking it's a dry brownie, but i enjoyed it a lot because it wasn't too sweet. i've come here twice now and will certainly be back again soon! very high quality service and cuisine, significantly better than the average "nice-looking" 4.5/5 star spots around scottsdale (e.g. every single place around fashion square, etc). i'd give this one a 6 or 7 stars if i could.
Andy T — Google review
The best experience, food and service I've had in a long time. Sad but true. Every plate was greatly put together and flavors all complimented each other. I would have had dessert but there was no way I could fit any more food in my belly and there was no way I was packing it to go. It was too good for the next day microwave. Absolutely not.

Second visit and food was amazing just like my first experience! Their chopped salad was my personal favorite and their menu seems to have been updated since my last visit so I tried a few more new dishes like short ribs, zaatar cauliflower, and beef stroganoff. As for the atmosphere, it was a bit dark for photos and noise level was pretty high during the evening. Would come back for the chopped salad and pasta menus!

Huge shout out to Caylen (manager) and Ryan (chef) for making our anniversary special. I left a note on my reservation mentioning the special occasion. I wasn’t expecting much, but they over delivered in every way. They gave us the best table, a special note saying happy anniversary, and best of all… the chef made us a special dessert that’s not on the menu. A plum pudding, made just for us because plums are in season. Everything was impeccable and Canley personally ensured our experience was fantastic. I can’t recommend citizen public house enough, and we will be coming back regularly.

We were enjoying our Sunday between going to the Museum of Contemporary Art a few blocks away and the Bavarian festival. We stopped at Citizen public house for some snacks and drinks with our baby. We found the staff to be very accommodating and it was kid friendly. We mostly ordered happy hour snacks and drinks to check out the restaurant and it beyond exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to go back and try more menu items. The place has a luxurious, relaxing vibe. Everyone was friendly. We highly recommend.

Classic atmosphere, and the food was fire! That's how this place is. It's like the place your dad takes you to on your birthday when you're 15 and he wants tontreat you like a man. Or the place he takes you at 22 after no one showed up to the 1st party you threw. It's the place your dad loves and brings you there because he: a) has no clue what you like, and b) he loves you unconditionally. Audra made me this amazing Old Fashioned, and there's nothing old fashioned about it. That's why I'm posting. The food was amazing, but the friendliness from Audra is why I'm posting this comment. Audra made me a classic twist on a classic cocktail. The dark chocolate cherry old fashioned. It still tastes like an old fashioned, but this drink is all new to me. Chocolate bitters and cherries update the classic to a fun after dinner cocktail. The chocolate and cherries come through; their presence in the cocktail is undeniable, and it still tastes like a classic Old Fashioned. Bravo Audra! Thank you for the experience.

Steak house
Bar
The Stockyards Steakhouse is a historic Arizona establishment that has been serving up top-quality steaks and prime ribs since 1947. Located in Phoenix, this old-school steakhouse pays homage to the state's heritage with a menu focused on beef dishes. The restaurant prides itself on offering only the finest corn-fed, aged meats cooked to perfection and served with hearty sides. The Wild West-inspired ambiance adds to the dining experience, making guests feel like they've stepped back in time.
Back for Round Two! Two weeks in Phoenix and I couldn’t resist returning. This time we got the Chateaubriand for two. The salad was delicious. Ordered the Old Fashioned & Still Superb. The Beef Tenderloin was cooked to medium, but was a little rare in the middle. Still melt in your mouth superb steak. I tried it with each sauce and the creamed horseradish was the best. This didn’t need any sauce and was perfect. The Parmesan potatoes were good. The Sautéed Button Mushrooms were perfect. The Brussel sprouts were good. Service was good. Looking for a Steak House and the Stockyards Restaurant sounded perfect. Ordered the Old Fashioned with Stockyards Bourbon by Outlaw Whiskey. Perfect Compliment with the steak. The Cornbread was good and the bread just ok. Went with the Baseball Sirloin with salad & garlic whipped potatoes. The steak was lean and cooked medium perfectly. The whipped potatoes were fluffy and paired perfectly with the sirloin. Lean & tender was excellent. The salad was fresh and delicious. The Crem Brûlée was absolutely phenomenal end to the meal. The service was superb. Loved the old style steak house. Would definitely recommend and return.

Our first time to visit Phoenix and were told to try The Stockyards. We enjoyed an amazing meal. Ron was our server, and he has been at The Stockyards for 20 years. He absolutely knows the menu and helped us make some great selections. We tried the homemade onion rings for an appetizer and they were delicious. For our entree, we had the 5 oz filet with a baked potato. The second entree was the K-2 14oz filet with Parmesan potatoes and asparagus. The atmosphere was very inviting and traditional. Old school steakhouse for sure! Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal experience at The Stockyards!
Wright C — Google review
Attended an event for our organization in the private dinning room. The service was great, very polite, and helpful. The restaurant is a traditional steak house so they will cook your steak medium temperature unless you ask otherwise. The steak was just ok. The steak was barely seasoned but I've had better. The sides were good and tasty. However, I probably would not make this a go to spot in my lists of steakhouses in the Valley.
George B — Google review
Lovely place with great service and delicious food. Apparently, they have a tendency to overcook steak - my husband's was not rare as he requested. He was hungry, so ate it anyway, thought he did report it to our server. My elk was perfect, as was dessert.
J W — Google review
The K4 Ranch steak was incredibly juicy, almost like tasting chicken soup, unbelievable! The vibe and servers are super chill, not fancy at all, which makes dining here so comfortable. The crab cakes were also delicious! Make sure to reserve a table, it gets busy on weekend nights!

Fantastic!!!!! Celebrated a birthday here and loved the old photos of Phoenix, the building-inside has comfortable chairs and booths. The decor is top-notch for a living history, museum type setting. Walk into the saloon, and be blown away by the murals on the wall. Our service was top-notch. Our waitress Alice, to all of the servers were friendly and attentive. We went early in the evening, which was the perfect time to go. It wasn’t busy then, but by the time we left, there wasn’t an empty table to be found. And that was a Friday night. Chilean Seabass, with a lobster tail was a hit!!! The sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus were perfect. The other meal we had, was a large ribeye that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Birthday dessert was a delicious sour cream cheesecake with berries/sauce. This was a delightful experience. From the top notch service to the outstanding history preserved through photos and pictures on the walls we were impressed, and we can’t wait to bring more of our family here to try this unique place.

We called late, but got reservations for 8:30, was seated promptly upon arrival. Our server Eric was great! The food was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is very inviting with a relaxing and comfortable feel. Definetly recommend if you are in the phoenix area.

My fiancée, Patty has been wanting to bring me here for a while. She grew up in Phoenix and has great memories from over 30 yrs ago. The dinner did not disappoint. Our waiter, Eric, made the meal even better with his attentive service. I had the 18 oz prime rib that was fabulous, as was the Parmesan potatoes. We will be back. My 89 yo mom loves prime rib.

American restaurant

Breakfast restaurant
"The Henry" is an elegant eatery located in Phoenix's Arcadia neighborhood, offering a charming Gatsby-era dining experience. The restaurant features an American menu served all day, along with a full bar. With vintage red-velvet banquette seating and soft candlelight, the intimate dining space serves seasonal menus of prime steaks, chops, fresh seafood, locally sourced herbs, salads, vegetables, housemade pasta and desserts.
This was our first time visiting The Henry – “the neighborhood restaurant” and we left really impressed. From the moment we walked in, the ambience felt warm and stylish without being pretentious. The energy was lively, the cocktails were crafted beautifully, and the dinner menu had something for everyone. Service was attentive but not overbearing—just the right balance. We started with the crab cake appetizer and truffle fries, both of which disappeared quickly. For mains, we had the scallops with gnocchi (an incredible pairing), the short ribs, the filet, and the ahi. Every single dish was well executed, flavorful, and plated with care. I wish I had thought to take photos before we started eating, but that’s usually the best sign—when the food is too tempting to wait. Price-wise, The Henry feels very fair. The most expensive item on the menu is the filet at $54, which is reasonable for a steak of that quality. Overall, it strikes a nice balance of approachable and elevated—perfect for date night, dinner with friends, or even a more casual outing. The space itself is versatile too: plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with a vibe that works whether you’re dressed up or dressed down. One tip—make a reservation. It was busy when we went, and I can see why. All in all, The Henry lives up to its reputation as a “neighborhood restaurant” but brings an elevated touch that makes the whole experience feel special. We’ll absolutely be back.

Great restaurant! Came for a quick weekday breakfast where it is self seating ordering from the coffee bar till 10:30. Lots of people remote working. The food was fantastic. I got the California burrito as a bowl and it was so good. My partner got the quinoa burrito which he also thought was great. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Bonus yummy chocolate croissant Was not a fan of their iced vanilla latte coffee, I’d skip it. Otherwise I plan to be back
MEGHAN C — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Henry, and it was an experience worth sharing. From start to finish, the food, drinks, and atmosphere created such a memorable evening. We started off with their coffee selection, and it truly set the tone for the meal. The latte was smooth and perfectly balanced, while the cappuccino had that rich, bold flavor topped with velvety foam—just the kind of warm welcome you’d want before diving into a meal. For appetizers, we had the Spicy Tuna and Crispy Rice, and it set the bar high for the rest of the meal. The crispy rice had the perfect crunch, and the spicy tuna topping was fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. It’s one of those appetizers you’ll want to order every time you visit. For the main dishes, I tried the Roasted Chicken and Avocado Salad, which was absolutely refreshing and well-balanced. The chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, while the avocado added a creamy richness that tied the whole salad together. It felt light yet satisfying, a perfect choice if you’re looking for something wholesome. The Grilled Shrimp Taco Platter was another highlight—generous portions of tender, smoky shrimp tucked into warm tortillas with fresh toppings that added both crunch and zest. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the presentation was as inviting as the taste itself. To complement it all, I had the pineapple drink, and it was incredibly refreshing. Sweet, tangy, and vibrant, it was the perfect beverage to balance the spices and flavors of the meal. Beyond the food, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere at Henry is warm, stylish, and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that works equally well for a casual lunch, a dinner with friends, or even a special night out. I’ll definitely be returning, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for a restaurant that consistently impresses.

The Henry in Phoenix does not disappoint! The service is absolutely amazing, attentive, friendly, and always on point. Their happy hour is one of the best around, with delicious apps and perfectly crafted drinks. The outdoor seating is beautiful and makes the whole experience even better, especially when the weather’s nice. It’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy great food, and soak in the vibe. Highly recommend!

I was in love with this place as soon as we walked up! The signature green woven through out the decor and the wait staff clothing was perfect. Service was good (just a little slow), but it was a busy Saturday morning. The food was fabulous! I had the egg white turkey omelette (without cheese), and it was so tasty! My husband had the French toast and said that it was very good. We had a wonderful visit… this place is the whole package: gorgeous atmosphere and fabulous food.

Absolutely loved the food here. Highly recommend had a delicious brunch, a decaf latte and after the meal selected a gluten free pop tart to go. Everything was great. My sister had the Bloody Mary and it looked (and tasted) amazing. It’s hard to find good decaf lattes but that one was the best. I can’t say enough about that pop tart too! Can’t wait to go back to Phoenix for another one.

The Henry has a great menu that is varied and everything I’ve tried has been great. I decided to try the jumbo lump crab cake and it was delicious. The crab was excellent and the accompanying sauce was out of this world. One of my favorite appetizers is the short-rib potsticker. Unique and tasty.

Had my bridal shower at the private kitchen, as you can see the area is super adorable, interactive and perfect space for group of 15! Girls had so much fun and amazing food, even leftover to go for the next day. We also ended up getting couple sweets from the cafe, gluten or not all delicious! Most important is the people that we have interacted with are kind, professional, responsive. Really appreciate all the help and coordination from Samantha and Priscilla, and the girls who helped set up the room, you made the day very special. Can’t wait to do another event here with them, professionalism is hot 😉

Zinburger is a local chain known for its gourmet burgers, shakes, and extensive selection of wine, beer, and cocktails. With four locations in the Valley, including one at Sky Harbor airport, this hip and casual eatery offers a hearty menu that includes options like the Samburger with applewood smoked bacon and American cheese. The restaurant is part of Fox Restaurant Concepts, which is recognized for its support of the gluten-free community.
I was so impressed with the customer service aspect of this place that it even went above the food experience. They checked on me three times while there. I can't remember the last time I walked into a burger place that gave this type of service. If anything just getting a smile or a welcome was a miracle at other places. Kuddos on Management for doing an outstanding job with whom they hire n train . Next the food : I picked the signature burger 🍔 Zinburger and opted for gluten free bread . Along with zucchini fries. The zucchini was fresh not frozen . I will agree with a previous review. The burger will fall apart so get your fork and knife ready . It taste wonderful so I scooped up the last morsel. I also tried the banana pie. Fresh cream topping and fresh bananas . It made me smile that it wasn't a generic pie. It was done with thought of freshness in mind.

The hamburger is decent for the price, the fries is ok. Not terrible if you get the truffle fries. The banana cream pie is good though
Jeremias C — Google review
The food was good enough, but nothing to write home about. Everything was a pretty general price for nowadays, sitting at ~$15 a person for a burger. The fries being a pretty significant $2.50-ish feels quite significant for what you get. Highly recommend the green chili fries as a side for the table though, they're splendid and well worth the price, they honestly outshined the burgers. We had to wait quite a while to get our check, eventually opting to just flag someone down. We weren't really checked on, outside of a minute after we got our food. I'd come back for those fries alone, but I do feel just a touch let down by everything else. The smash burger especially, which I honestly thought I'd adore.

I came to have a good burger and that's what I got. It was very delicious. I knew the service wouldn't be great because of my appearance and race but oh well. Very nice and upscale dining room. Next time I'll order Togo.

I went there during happy hour which does have discounted pricing on some of their drinks and food. I was pleasantly surprised that they do have Gluten-Free hamburgers buns. I ordered the El Diablo Burger and it as ao delicious!! You could taste the poblano peppers and just enough of a spicy kick. I'm already looking forward to the next time I go there, I'm inclined to have the same burger since it was so good but curious if the other birthdays are as good. The only thing is that I wish it came with fries or some kind of a side, but you have to order that separately. I said at that bar and the ambiance was good.

1st time here and the seared tuna bowl was too salty & had too much sauce that over powered the tuna & veggies. The peach lemonade didn't have enough of the peach flavor in it.

Simply incredible! Everything about this restaurant is fantastic. Alexandria is an excellent example of phenomenal customer service. She is the genuine article. It is evident that she absolutely enjoys her job and she is the embodiment of professionalism and positive customer service at Zinburger. I am glad that I visited this place. The food is well portioned and very delicious. I will spread the word to my co-workers who are visiting Phoenix. A very nice gentleman (I think his name is Carlos) also greeted me and gave me a Zinburger promotional card. He too is extremely polite and professional. Please keep up the good work... see you next week.

Absolutely delicious!! I got the classic diner burger (with a double patty because I was hungry) so good, the beef is cooked (and seasoned) to perfection! The wings are good too, perfectly saucy. The Parmesan zucchini fries are perfect as well.

Ocotillo is a modern, spacious restaurant in Phoenix that offers locally sourced, seasonal American cuisine. The indoor and outdoor dining spaces are stylishly designed to complement the farm-to-table vegetarian menu. The menu features generous salads, a variety of vegetables like eggplant 'meatballs' and smoked beets, as well as entrees such as leek-ricotta ravioli with asparagus.
We hadn’t been to Ocotillo in Midtown for a while, mostly because we were underwhelmed by the small portion sizes in the past—but we’re so glad we gave it another shot! The menu seems to have shifted a bit, offering a great balance of generous large plates (perfect for sharing) and well-portioned small plates for those of us who didn’t want leftovers. We ordered the charred sweet potato, grilled octopus, mesquite-grilled Ocotillo chicken, and the orecchiette—everything was beautifully prepared and flavorful. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive, which made the evening even better. It was the perfect spot to take friends visiting from Canada for a fun, delicious night out. We’ll definitely be back!

I was taken here by great friends who live in Phoenix who told me it was one of their favorite places in town. They specialize in lots of locally sourced veggies, southwestern influenced preparation and sharing plates. We ordered a lot from the veggie sharing options, and stand outs were the cauliflower, the beets and the brussel sprouts. Service is excellent and the outdoor space is so comfortable and relaxing. Strongly recommend a visit if you want to experience a local favorite.

A unique and very cool place. Very cool setting, ambiance, and vibe. Not ostentatious or too chic, but a fun desert landscape surrounding the main room. Outdoor seating, outdoor bar complete with misters to keep you comfortable. Indoor seating is great too, with large booths and tables. Solid menu options to share as well as main entrees. The scratch sangria, and Yuko Poloma are great to enjoy in the heat. I'll definitely come back. Service was top notch.

Hubby and I came for date night and this place is really cool. They have the main dining restaraunt and bar, an open dining patio with misters and outdoor bar. And the a separate bar altogether on the property just for fun. We had the baby back ribs which were equally tender and crispy, a little salty for my pallet but overall they were decent. Hubby got the Ribeye which was as big as my size 8 shoe (no joke) and it came with veggies and a delicious bed of mashed potatoes. I got the parpadelle pasta which is made in house and it was delicious. Perfect amount of spice and savory flavors. We will be back again for sure! Parking itself is on the small side in the actual restaraunt lot but there is plenty of street parking and even a separate dirt lot we parked in.

My daughter took me shopping around to check out a few restaurants with the right vibe — great ambience, food, drinks, and customer service — and we found the perfect spot! It’s right off the I-10, right in the center of it all, with amazing drinks, beautiful lighting, and the cutest setup for a holiday party by the fire pit. I can’t wait! I went ahead and booked with Austin — our holiday party is officially happening here! 🎉🔥🍸

Had an incredible experience here for my birthday a couple nights ago with my family. Our first time dining in and they were able to accommodate us in a different dining area than we had our reservation for. The food was delicious and our server Andrew was so attentive and helpful while still being calm and casual. We had a couple food allergies and appreciated the menu’s clear communication and the staff’s awareness. Everyone loved their appetizers (in particular the chicken wings) and the mole beef ribs were delicious and so tender, a more dynamic flavor and higher quality meat than most bbq which we all appreciated. Andrew went above and beyond for my birthday and I felt really happy to be celebrating there!

I love the drinks here! They’re delicious. The food is okay, but if you go you should absolutely get steak. I think it’s the best thing they offer. I had the tagliatelle pasta this time and it was on the menu as a white wine sauce with basil, jalapeno, etc. But it was lacking flavor almost entirely with a side of plain bread.. I wouldn’t get that again. The wings and flautas are decent, but there’s no meat in the flautas and I’m not sure if it’s an option to add it. This is a good place for happy hour if you plan to just do drinks though!
Lex H — Google review
Ocotillo offers a delightful ambiance and decor, creating a perfect setting for a special occasion. The service was attentive and the drinks were excellent, especially the fresa picante. A highlight of the evening was the thoughtful touch of bringing out a lovely dessert for my mom’s birthday, I just wish they would have relit the candle when it blew out on the way to the table. On the downside, the food itself was underwhelming. We tried the pork belly and brisket dishes, and while they weren’t bad, they didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. They also didn’t have the medjool dates available as a small dish, which we were very excited to try.

Quiessence is a high end, romantic restaurant located on a beautiful 10 acre farm in the South Mountain Village of Phoenix. The market-driven American cuisine served at this establishment features locally sourced produce and meats. The Farm at South Mountain provides much of the ingredients used in Quiessence's dishes, creating an authentic farming experience right at the restaurant.
Quintessence offers a delightful farm-to-table dining experience with French-inspired elements. The restaurant boasts a beautiful ambiance for casual dining, with truly fantastic menu options. Everything on the set menu is healthy and fresh. The restaurant is very spacious with various seating options inside and outside, with a cute and trendy Arizona vibe, we can enjoy the view to go with our meal. We ordered a “four courses” set which is very scrumptious, every ingredient is so fresh, luscious, and lush. We can tell the chief is trying to present every dish in another level of astronomy skill and transforming the food scene into artistic genres. The kitchen tour is wondering.

I am a total foodie and let me tell you!.... this place is definately a place id return to in a heart beat! From the atmosphere, to the service AND moat importantly the food! All their dishes are carefully crafted in the kitchen to give you a great experience, from the visual to your taste buds! There is not one thing we disliked! Excellent!

We visited this restaurant during our visit to Phoenix and had the best time. We sat outside and had the four course dinner. The ambiance was so peaceful and we felt like we had so much privacy. The service was incredible and the food was all delicious. I am a pescatarian and they were able to customize my meal and keep me informed about the ingredients of each dish. The servers even gave us a tour of the kitchen and we were able to meet the chefs and see all the food stations. This was a very elevated dining experience and we left very full and satisfied. The drinks were delicious and strong! Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert but really wish that we could have tried it. I strongly recommend eating at this restaurant while in Phoenix!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, and the food was absolutely amazing—every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly, and they even took us on a tour of the kitchen, which was such a nice touch! It’s definitely a great spot for celebrating a special occasion. The experience is unique and memorable, though it does come with a high price tag. While I’m not sure I’d go back regularly for that cost, it’s absolutely worth visiting at least once for the experience.

My boyfriend & I were visiting and we had the pleasure of doing the Chefs table experience. We sat in the kitchen with chef Dustin Christofolo and had the chef tasting menu which varies weekly. Everything was farm to table and the presentation of each dish was impeccable. You may not know what you’re getting but you’re guaranteed a 5-star experience with over 80% of the food grown from their farm and the rest sourced locally. Incredible experience from the Quiessence team!

This is my second time reviewing this incredible hidden gem, and it deserves every bit of praise. The food was absolutely spectacular, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Chef Dustin, you are a true culinary genius. Every element on the plate was purposeful and flawlessly executed, elevating each dish to an art form. Also every time I go I just keep think about those amazing apple cannoli's. Highly recommend that dessert. If you’re looking for a spot to really enjoy your meal and spend some quality time with good company, this is the place. It’s such a nice change from the fast paced vibe of most restaurants these days, here you can relax, savor your food, and enjoy meaningful conversations with your loved ones. Big thanks to our awesome server, Zach, who kept us laughing and made everything run smoothly. Shoutout to Lindsey and Jess for the beautiful presentation of each dish. And a huge thank you to the entire team for making the night so special and memorable. This place is truly one of a kind. :)

Absolutely impeccable. We took my mom here to celebrate her birthday. We did the 5 course which I absolutely recommend doing if you go. We also doubled the first course by going with both the Chefs Spread and the oysters. Hands down the best oysters I've ever had the pleasure of dining on. The staff is friendly and attentive. We had a private dining room and they were more than happy to accommodate a floral arrangement I had sent over for the occasion. I almost hesitate posting how truly incredible this place is, as I wish to keep it my secret gem in the desert - But I could not live with myself if I didn't express how deeply divine the entire meal, atmosphere and experience was. Update: We have been back a few more times for our anniversary and my birthday and they are still immaculate. Do yourself a favor and get the A5 Wagyu!

New American restaurant
Restaurant
Otro Cafe is a modern kitchen that offers a fusion of New American cuisine and innovative Mexican dishes, along with a variety of cocktails. The restaurant is known for its delicious Elote Callejero, a wood-fired corn dish topped with mayo, cotija cheese, and smoked paprika. For brunch, visitors can savor a homemade vegan breakfast burrito made with fresh tofu, mushroom chorizo, beans, potatoes, and chili de arbol.
- Delicious. - Cute café style Mexican restaurant. I like that the coffee shop Cafecito is built-in next door, the smell in the restaurant is wonderfully relaxing. It reminds me of traveling, a nice airport lounge, the noise level was quiet-moderate with the décor being darkly modern. There was a small wait when I arrived, but that's okay, plenty of seating to wait. I originally came seeking to try the enchiladas but didn't realize they have different menus for lunch/dinner, so I ended up ordering the Huevos Rancheros with two over medium eggs on-top and xmas sauce (red and green sauce mixed). I also ordered a Shirley Temple, think sierra mist/7-up with grenadine, it was delicious. The Huevos Rancheros was perfect, the eggs were perfect, the layering and sauce was perfect, everything was perfect. The eggs were delicious, stuck out as being tastier than other eggs I've had in the valley, could have just been the combination of food. During my visit on 5/12/2025 at around 12:30-1pm, a man was sat down in front of me at a small table with two chairs, the waiter said he would be with him momentarily. My waiter, whose name I don't remember, was very busy working his section. I guess this patron was unhappy by the short wait bestowed upon him, visibly upset by the waiter passing him by one extra time or two without a drink - this patron stood up and left in an upset manner. I just want to say, to my waiter, whose name I don't remember, man with a speech impediment, did nothing wrong. He was very aware of his surroundings, was very attentive/aware of the patrons in his section, and the bus-boy/barback was doing a great job getting waters out (or trying his best). That patron who left was disrespectful, could use a thing or two about patience. Anyways, I loved the atmosphere, even the metal chair I sat in, I usually don't like hard seats but these had a slight curvature to them and were slightly more comfortable than usual hard chairs. They had booths as well, but overall it's a small establishment. There were two unisex single person restrooms, both accessible, although to be noted for wheelchair users - the bathroom requires going through some potentially tight turns in the back. The busier it is, the more difficult I would imagine it to navigate with a wheelchair in here. The restaurant itself is semi-accessible to wheelchair users, however I would call-ahead to reserve a table with room just to be on the safe side. Overall, a great experience. Quality atmosphere with quality food.

Second time at this glorious place. Wonderful atmosphere that's homey, comfortable, and lively but not so much you can't hold a conversation. Excellent food. Stellar service. My first and favorite dish is the burger with the pork belly. Amazing!!! That pork belly by itself was downright perfection and the burger stood up on its own - perfectly seasoned and cooked. And those fries. Oh man, those blistered fries. Best I've ever had, hands down. Need to add this to your must-go list.

Well I was in the mood for a hearty breakfast burrito and Otro Cafe did not disappoint. I’d never heard of the place before and tried it on a whim. Now after reading some other reviews I wish I would’ve tried the Huevos Rancheros. Guess that’s next time! 😂 The chorizo burrito was delicious. They serve everything with a couple of squeeze bottles of Salsa Verde (green, not spicy) and a Red salsa (spicy, holy hell spicy) but both were really good. The panini style crisp to the tortilla is a nice touch and overall it hit the spot. Must try Otro Cafe if you haven’t. The ratings don’t lie, it’s a keeper! 👨‍🍳😘

Does anything pair better with a broken heart than margaritas, chips, and an emotional debrief with a bestie? I didn’t think so, until I added a torta from Otro Café to the mix, and suddenly I was emotionally spiraling with flavor. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, welcoming vibe, the kind that says, “You’re safe here… and also, yes, guac is extra, but worth it.” The staff was kind, the atmosphere was effortlessly cool, and the food? Let’s just say my heart wasn’t the only thing getting filled that afternoon. Between the tangy margaritas, the crunchy chips that held my tears (and the salsa) like champs, and a torta so good it briefly made me forget who Beau even was, lunch at Otro Café might just be the best kind of therapy, without the $200 copay. 10/10 would recommend for anyone nursing a broken heart, a hangover, or just a mean craving for damn good Mexican food. Will absolutely be back… maybe next time with a healed heart, but definitely still for the torta.

Hands down one of the best spots for elevated Mexican food in Phoenix. Every dish is packed with authentic flavor and fresh ingredients. The tacos are perfection, the enchiladas are rich and comforting, and don’t even get me started on the barbacoa — chef’s kiss! The vibe is cozy, the staff is always welcoming. Otro Café never misses! 🌮🔥💯

Food is top notch! Taste amazing and the service was just as good! I had the chilaquiles and the elote loco aka as their elote callajero. I can’t remember her name but our server had a cool haircut and she was very communicative and personable. I’m coming back again for sure!
Juan D — Google review
Went for breakfast this morning, had the chilaquiles. They were okay, I normally never get green sauce….. But they offered me both, so I got both. I’m glad I did because I enjoyed the green over the red. The red sauce seemed more like marinara, was not a fan. The pancake was very thick and dense, so it seemed slightly undercooked, although it probably wasn’t, but the texture seemed undercooked. I will definitely go back and try some other items as they have chorizo from my favorite place Schreiner's. The young ladies working the front were very pleasant.

No matter what you’re in the mood for, Cornish won’t disappoint. Food, drinks, atmosphere, and music are always perfect. Sean is one of the best bartenders around too! We go every Sunday for pool and every Thursday for live jazz in the basement. It gets packed, but it’s worth swinging by. The food is unreal. Recommended to me by numerous locals here in Arizona, I gotta admit, I was a little let down. Let’s focus on the good to start off though. The staff were knowledgable, respectful, hard working, and consistent! 10/10 there. As for the pricing? Again! Can’t complain! Well priced for what I was expecting! As for the quality of the meal…Admittedly? Overly seasoned. Primarily by salt. BUT as I’ve said numerous times with these reviews, everybody has an off day and maybe I just popped by on theirs! Although I’d like to come back, it might be a while. BUT i hope y’all still give them a whirl!!!

Oh. My. Goodness. Ate at the Cornish Pasty in Phoenix for the first time and it was incredible. I had the French Dip Pasty—roast beef, onions, Swiss cheese, and horseradish sour cream—and it was loaded with meat and flavor. Also tried the loaded oven chips (aka fries) with cheddar and bacon, and I asked for a side of sour cream to smother on top. Delicious. Our waiter was awesome too—wish I had caught his name. It was Friday at lunch, so hopefully he gets the credit he deserves. I’ll definitely be back!

My first visit to the Downtown Phoenix iteration of Cornish Pasty Company - Tempe locations have been prior experiences of mine for more years than I care to mention (close to 20?). That said, I was in the area for somewhat of an extended lunch break and I selected CPC. Sat at the bar. Not very busy all around, which I have experienced lately in DT PHX; how are these high-rent establishments staying in business to open for lunch when there's hardly anyone to serve at noon on a September Thursday?! Service was very quick and attentive as necessary. I ordered the "Green Chile Bacon Cheeseburger" and it was good. Crust: crispy and flaky, but strong enough to hold in the ingredients. Green chile was on the mild side - that's my only wish here; not everyone can Hatch, NM or Los Dos every meal, but personally, I'd like for it to be! Ranch for dipping, which I did about twice per half. I bet this place is fun on weekend nights!

Ordered the French Toast, which is cinnamon French toast. It looks great, but it's average, and not a do-over the me. It's actually pre-packaged egg bread with some cinnamon swirls baked in. It's dipped in some eggs but not much. Dry except the syrup I put on it. The service ends to end was a 5, that is why I rated 4 stars. The fake French toast pre-packaged is a 3. Though the serving is extra large. Coffee was good, and again the service. I will return and try something different. This food was disappointing, looks better than it is.

We came here for the gluten free options discussed in the reviews. There is ONE gluten free option - oatmeal. We stood and stood waiting to be seated. The food is bland and oily. They advertise Bloody Marys on their chalkboard but reported to us they have no alcohol to make it! Maybe erase the chalk? Flying insects were present while we dined indoors. They played the radio with hard rock music and a lot of commercials while we ate our breakfast. The waitress asked how our food was from behind me and somehow expected me to know she was addressing me. I understand why they are closing and wouldn't recommend anyone eat here....we won't be trying this chain again.

This charming spot offers a delightful selection of classic American dishes, with a twist of Mexican-inspired breakfast options that truly elevate the menu. While the service is good, be prepared for a bit of a wait on busy days. The dining area is well-maintained, with clean tables, though some may find the plastic table covers a bit off-putting—though, in the grand scheme of things, it's a minor detail. Overall, it's a great breakfast spot worth visiting.

You might want to avoid the steak sandwich. They hadn't cleaned their grill and the black on the steak tasted like stank, not steak. Also, very gristley piece. Pane Bianco Central is a relaxed eatery known for its contemporary Italian menu featuring sandwiches, salads, and pizzas made with freshly baked bread. Founded by Chris Bianco, the restaurant initially gained popularity as a lunch spot but has since expanded to offer a variety of delectable Italian dishes. While Pizzeria Bianco may be more renowned, Pane Bianco holds its own with an array of mouthwatering options.
Stopped by on a Friday for lunch. Wife had the Italian combo and I had the prosciutto. Holy cow. That prosciutto on the homemade focaccia was crazy. Mozzarella was so creamy and delicious. She loved her combo especially the mortadela but she wished there had been more of that. Just finished half the sandwich to save room for dessert, a slice of NY salami to go. That pizza... I know the pizza there is always delicious, and we've enjoyed the pizza at downtown Bianco for a long time, but this slice, don't know what they did, but the sauce was tomatoly ridiculous, the cheese perfectly melty, the thinly sliced salty salami, but tbh I've never eaten a pizza crust that good in my life. That wheaty, floury flavor, the aroma, and it cracked like a baguette at the crusty end. Shoved the slice into my mouth in the parking lot. Thanks, guys!

The green salad is the perfect accompaniment to any of the pizzas. The market salad is great to share or can be a lunch for one person on its own. Today I had the market sandwich which was arugula, ricotta and roasted tomato with balsamic vinaigrette. 🔥 I thought I was going to be missing the protein but the sandwich was perfect 💯 Highly recommend for lunch. Protip: the veggie soup is underrated and served with a slice of their bread. Try it, you’ll love it. 🥣

This is the worst Italian sandwich I have ever had. The bread was really dry, possibly stale and hard. The meat portion was not worth the $16 price tag. Bianco should stick with pizza. Don’t waste your money here, instead get a footlong at Subway for half the price, you’ll enjoy it more. Or order the pizza. It looked good. The staff were nice, at least.
Ric V — Google review
That was outstanding. I got in finally and tried some slices. I tried a N.Y. red slice and a Pepperoni Al Taglio. The sauce on the red slice was one of the most flavorful sauces i have ever had on a pizza. Delicious. The crust was ok. Crispy but almost paper thin. I feel reheated slices can wreak havoc on a pizza dough but good for what it was. I would have enjoyed a touch more salt in the dough. I’m a crust eater. The pepperoni was one of if not the best Sicilian/Grandma style pizza i have ever tried. So light and airy with a nice crispy crust and the sauce, cheese and pepperoni were the perfect amount of toppings just packed with flavor!!!!!!

I was craving a calzone but didn't realize it was only available during lunch time. This was my first time having the pizza and it was delicious! I would recommend having garlic added to the Green, gives it an extra something, that is, if you like garlic. Looking forward to going back.
Az J — Google review
This place does not disappoint. We had a party of 6 and were seated immediately during lunch. When we walked in, the fresh smell of fresh bread reinforced our belief we made a good choice for lunch. Our group had pizza, calzone, and the Italian Combo. All the food received good reviews. The Italian Combo had a great mix of flavors with a small Italian spiciness to it. I am not a spicy food guy, but did not mind the subtle spice.

Flower Child is a charming and laid-back restaurant that caters to vegetarians, vegans, and those seeking healthier dining options. With multiple locations across the United States, this eco-conscious eatery prides itself on serving up fast food that's both nutritious and freshly prepared. The menu features delectable items made from scratch using locally sourced produce from organic farms. Diners can expect well-presented dishes with generous portion sizes, such as house-made pita wraps and gluten-free vegan salads.
I’ve been going here for many years and it’s always delicious. Their steak is my favorite as well as their chicken, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, quinoa rice! I often wish their portion size is bigger since for the price you would expect a little bit more food, though in retrospect it makes sense since their quality is so high technically it’ll still make you feel good. It’s just doesn’t make me feel full and I only weigh 190 lbs at 6 foot. I can imagine others feeling the same way. I definitely appreciate the quality of food and their servers. It’s always with a smile and they make it very easy to pick up food since they have a inside as well as outside area to quickly pick up your food labeled with your name and free utensils; naturally flavored lemon water. It is located in a very safe area next to a major hospital and shopping plaza. I love using their app to collect points and order very easily online. 5 star restaurant without a doubt and super family friendly / kid friendly. One time I witnessed two dogs fighting each other and the crowd was terrified. I suggest keeping your dogs close to you and on a leash for safety!

Service was top notch! Food was pretty decent- options for vegans and non-vegans. Had the tofu it cauliflower risotto and kung pao cauliflower. The risotto was delicious. Tofu was alright- could have been cooked a bit better. Others had a steak salad and chicken salad.

I absolutely love coming to Flower Child! The food is always fresh and healthy. definitely a go to spot for a good meal. What really makes this location stand out is the amazing team. Manager Nico is incredible. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is fast for me especially since I only have an hour for lunch. I'm always able to enjoy my meal and get back to work on time, which I really appreciate. Also, a huge shoutout to shift lead Connor super kind and helpful every time. The way I’m treated here makes a big difference. The service, the food, the vibe and everything is a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend this location!

I get the same two things every time! The Mother Earth Bowl add Salmon or the Avocado Toast, are to die for!!!! 🤤🤤🤤 The entire staff is super friendly & professional. The decor is darling and the prices are a little pricey but the quality, flavors and amount of food you get is worth it! Also outdoor patio is my fave during the majority of the year! 😍😎🥰

Flower Child in Scottsdale has clearly found its groove with the lunch crowd, and for good reason. This place was absolutely bustling when I visited during peak lunch hours – always a promising sign that locals have embraced what they’re serving. The counter service here deserves special praise. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff moved with impressive efficiency, getting orders processed and meals prepared remarkably quickly. What really stood out was how genuinely friendly and helpful all the employees were. They took time to answer questions about ingredients and offered suggestions without making you feel rushed, even with a line forming behind you. I decided on the chicken enchilada bowl, drawn by the promise of fresh, quality ingredients that Flower Child promotes. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, and you could tell the vegetables and other components were indeed fresh and high-quality. The portion was generous and satisfying. However, there was one significant disappointment that kept this from being a five-star experience. The enchilada sauce was shockingly processed – imagine the consistency, appearance, and artificial taste of Cheez Whiz, and you’ll have a pretty accurate picture. For a restaurant that prides itself on fresh, wholesome ingredients, this felt completely out of place and frankly puzzling. It’s the kind of shortcut that undermines the otherwise thoughtful preparation. The popularity and efficiency of this location speak volumes about what they’re doing right, and the staff truly elevates the experience. If they could address that sauce situation, this would easily be a must-visit spot. As it stands, it’s still worth trying – just maybe ask about sauce alternatives.

This place is always super busy, but they get you in and out pretty quickly. I've never had to wait long for a table even at their peak business. Several gluten-free options. They can alter other items to be gluten-free. they have a great selection as well.

Flower Child has become my favorite place to take my elderly father to lunch or dinner whenever I come to Scottsdale. I've been caretaking him for several months and we come here at least once a week except when he was in the hospital and a skilled nursing facility. One of our favorite dishes is the enchiladas. The flavor of the sauce is excellent! And we have never been disappointed with any of the food (always fresh, lots of gluten free and vegan options) or beverages - lemonade is yummy! And the service and cleanliness are reliable. Plus all the staff are friendly and upbeat, which I really appreciate.

I had chicken and 2 sides. The chicken was meh. Sweet corn and quinoa was excellent! Cold noodle salad was good, but not my favorite. Very busy at 1230 on a Monday. Dining area has open ceilings and is very loud.

Greek restaurant
Gyro restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
George's Kitchen is a family-owned, modern Greek eatery located in uptown Phoenix. The restaurant offers a relaxed and unfussy space with a full bar and lunch specials. One of the popular lunch specials is the chicken feta salad, which features organic mixed greens topped with tomato, onions, kalamata olives, pepperoncini, cucumbers, sliced bell peppers, grilled chicken breast, and imported French feta.
Had a great lunch. Really enjoyed the Greek salad (and I'm not a salad guy) - I recommend it.

This was a great place to go. The location is awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food was done fairly quickly and the staff was attentive while I was waiting. The restaurant was clean and orderly and had a modern design with nice touches. I'd recommend coming here :)

A cute little spot to stop in for a good meal and calm vibes. I tried this place for the first time and really enjoyed it. I couldn’t choose what to try first so I got the Greek Platter to try a bit of everything! I subbed the rice for fries and do not regret it one bit. The starter salad (Greek) was one that i can eat over and over again! Fresh, flavorful, and had a bunch of goodies in it. The gyro meat itself was very tasty and had this crispy edge on it that provided a pleasant crunch while keeping integrity of the meat. The chicken kebab was also tasty and wasn’t dry - tender and meaty. The spanakopita was so crispy and flavorful! We ended the meal with baklava and I’ll be dreaming about that - the perfect layers and it’s not too sweet. The service was good and everyone was friendly! They checked in every so often and cleared our table. The ambiance was homey and casual.

We finally stopped at George's kitchen which is a cool little Greek restaurant near 16th Street and Bethany home. First impression is that it's a nice space and comfortable atmosphere. You order at the counter and then take a seat in the dining room if you choose. We all ordered gyros, two traditional and one chicken. We had the chicken lemon rice soup which was fantastic, the french fries which were done perfectly and a pasta salad which was light on the dressing. The Gyros were all good but nothing overly impressive. We would like to try more of their menu. They had several great looking gelatos available. Service was good and they gave us a little piece of baklava as a surprise dessert

This is a local gem! It’s Greek food and everything is super fresh and prepared in-house. Very clean and spacious inside. Grab a seat and a menu, then order at the counter. We had the Greek Salad with chicken which was nicely prepared and full of crisp lettuce and veggies. The house dressing is really good and the salad is a good size to share. The hummus is excellent, and comes with plenty of warm pita bread, cucumbers and carrots. Highly recommend the hummus! So smooth and tasty. They have daily specials and also offer take out.

Very clean restaurant. You place your order at the counter and the food is delivered to your seat. Counter and booth seating available. I tried the Greek salad with grilled chicken. No complaints. It's located inside a shopping center. They're is plenty of parking. Accessible parking and entrance.
O'Zandra — Google review
George's Kitchen was decent. The food was reasonably good—the lemon soup and gyro were solid, though nothing particularly memorable. What left me disappointed was the value. Portion sizes were small compared to what you'd typically get at a Mediterranean restaurant with similar quality, yet the prices were noticeably higher. It’s still counter service with a fairly plain interior, so it’s hard to see what justifies the premium.

This charming eatery offers generous portions of flavorful gyros at very reasonable prices, making it an ideal spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The friendly service adds to the welcoming atmosphere, whether you choose to dine in one of their cozy booths or enjoy some outdoor seating when the weather permits. With a menu that also features delightful Middle Eastern options like chicken shawarma pita, every visit promises to be enjoyable.
I love this place! Food is always so delicious and they always treat me with kindness and respect! ♥️ Food is so good! Try the rib eye!

I'm not sure if it's new staffing or just bad communication but I got charged incorrectly, paid cash but didn't get the 2% discount and order a pita and got a meal..but already had issues with order so didn't want to be a trouble. Told them to keep the salad and rice as I wouldn't eat. But still brought it out. Food is delicious and would recommend. Just caution of what you order and make sure you are clear. Seating is cramped and loud, but atmosphere is cute.

I just had one of the best Greek meals that I've had in a long time! It's the perfect "diner" like atmosphere! The food was awesome! I had the gyro and fries. The meat was flavorful, the veggies tasted fresh, the sauce was good, the fries were fresh from the fryer, even the Coke was great! The best part about my lunch was the service! The cashier was an absolute sweetheart! She made you feel welcomed and greeted you with a smile! I'll be eating here every time I come so Scottsdale!
Bob S — Google review
By far the worst tasting Greek food I’ve had in Scottsdale. No flavor. I drop of feta cheese. The chicken… something’s wrong with it. Not only will I never eat here again, but I’m going out of my way to warn you to not eat here yourself.
Megan M — Google review
I ordered the #6 lunch special it was about $16 fries and a drink included. Fries had no salt or flavor and were a bit soggy and burned. Gyro was decent but the sauce lacked some flavor and the 2 tomato slices were too big. The pita tasted fresh but that’s about it. I probably wouldn’t eat here again. The staff and service was good though. Very friendly and helpful just average food at above average prices.
Mike — Google review
This place felt more like a Mexican-style take on Mediterranean food. I was surprised to learn you can’t mix two different meats in a gyro, pita, or wrap—which is pretty standard at most Mediterranean spots. I asked the gentleman at the counter, and he simply said “no.” Honestly, that took away the appeal for me. The food itself was quite bland, and nothing really stood out. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.

The service is exceptional here , the food is even better, and the best part is they are very quick so I can pop in on my lunch break no problem ! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

So glad I came here for breakfast! The ambience was calm. The staff were very busy, although I was the only sit-down customer. I soon noticed a lot of catering and delivery orders. My eggs were cooked to my liking, and the power greens drink was very good: not sweet, made with healthy ingredients. There was nothing wrong with the service; It’s limited. Some of the drinks are self-service.

The food is consistently high-quality, and the staff is friendly when you need them. Overall, it's a great spot for those who value precision and speed.

Steak sandwich in a wrap. It was pricey (edit- because I used GrubHub and the prices are higher on the platform) and one of the halves had literally a single piece of steak and a couple mushrooms. The rest was all tortilla. The steak that was there was tender, but it had a gamey taste. I am not a fan.
Susan — Google review
Unfortunately one of the workers there was not very friendly in her approach to enforce a policy that was not followed in the first place. I asked for a side of peanut butter and was told yes let me figure out how to charge you for this which I was okay with paying 1.09 (that’s nothing) but was just letting her know that I wasn’t charged prior was it a new policy? She took my question as a threat or something because she gave me ridiculous attitude and immediately started waving her hand down at me as if I was some crazy customer when I was actually calm and let her know that I wasn’t giving her attitude My Whole point is that her attitude sucked and it ruined the whole meal for me so I had it cancelled for a refund. She also never even handed me my peanut butter after I paid. lol but the manager there was nice and helpful.

Nestled in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, The Buffalo Spot - Union Hills is a casual eatery that has become a beloved destination for buffalo chicken enthusiasts. This inviting spot boasts an extensive menu filled with mouthwatering options, including their renowned World Famous Buffalo Fries and an array of delectable chicken wings. Whether you're craving crispy tenders or hearty sandwiches, there's something to satisfy every palate.
Exceptional. I walked in with my daughter and was greeted by Angel and also helped by Anthony. He was very welcoming and professional to us. It was our first time so he helped navigate the menu and make recommendations. The food was also great! They have my business moving forward. Must try.
Adam C — Google review
Disappointing. The wings were mediocre at best and the two sauces I received (Buffalo hot and mild) had very little flavor. They also did not put a lot of sauce on the wings. The quality of these wings would make sense for a restaurant that specializes in other foods, but these were subpar for a restaurant specializing in wings. The 10 wings were also $21 before tax and tip, which is on the very high side. The place was clean and the servers were welcoming. It was also a plus that they gave all flat wings for no additional charge. I cannot recommend this place for wings and I doubt I would go back.
Jason B — Google review
The food was super underwhelming. Ordered the fries with the wings on top and The wings are super dry. Seems like they just came out of a frozen bag. Service was great though. Nice people running it
Jacob M — Google review
Lived close by for 2 years and have gone here every couple of months or so. Staff is friendly. The buffalo fries have been on a steady decline. There's less and less sauce every time. Here's a picture from the last time I will eat from this location. Are we in a sauce ration? Can't spare just a couple drizzles more? At least give me as much as it looks on the website. Aside from that, the chicken and fries have been getting greasier and greasier. Feel like I need to pat them off with some napkins. I would say avoid this location, but I think people already do because I have never seen more than 2 other customers at a time there.
Clay B — Google review
I wait for 1hr for my food to be ready. There were only 2 workers and they were trying their best to keep up with all the orders. This location needs to staff better. Knowing it’s busy Friday - Sunday why only have 2 workers
Mari M — Google review
Great food, just tried the buffalo fries, the special sauce ads great mayo based dimension to the whole of the meal. The fries even out the flavor, and the classic buffalo chicken has great texture. Overall a great meal! And kudos to Angel for being a great server and cooking amazing food!!
Ethan A — Google review
I don't order a wide variety of things here at Buffalo, but if I were to recommend something, it's the Chicken Caesar Salad/Wrap, with the Mango Habanero sauce and blue cheese. You can't go wrong with it, and better yet, on Wing Tuesday, the combo featuring the Chicken Caesar wrap is only $5! It is such a sweet deal. Apart from the food, the service is quick and excellent and the atmosphere is nice and quaint.
Chris C — Google review
This is not a food review, it’s a BA employee review. After a careless door dash driver brought the wrong order Randy came to the rescue. He had a choice of doing the easy thing and just refund the order and probably lose any future online orders from me, or the hard choice and, during what I’m sure was a busy lunch rush, brought the food to me himself. Randy deserves a raise! Keep up the great work!

Scottsdale - as a place, as a concept - is a curse. But the vegetable, chicken, and beef patties stashed away at this humble deli counter may be good enough to redeem it. And should I ever again darken the floorboards of sky harbor airport … at least I’ll have this to look forward to.
Ryan L — Google review
This place should be ashamed of themselves selling nasty, melted, no flavor cheap products. There’s noway they don’t know how nasty this cheap stuff they’re selling. This is an indication how poor quality their products are. Can’t believe they would think it’s ok to sell nasty products to the public. I hope this $3 was worth it.
