I've been a fan ever since they were located in Tempe. The prices are a bit high, but it's totally worth it. You know the saying, "You get what you pay for." And if you want the BEST pastries around, this is where you'll get them. Trust me. Or don't, I'm sure that every review here is just as good as mine. This place is the real deal. Go there, try it, you'll see. Oh yeah. Awesome breakfast too.

Best croissant in Arizona! I absolutely loved everything that I tried! Wonderful chef couple and legit scratch made pastry! There is nothing like this in Arizona in my opinion. if you haven’t had the chance to try this place it is the best croissant I’ve had since Paris. Go!

Short & Sweet: Exceptional food (breakfast & baked goods), quick and friendly service, on-point decor and comfortable dining. Storytime: We're on vacation and found this place via Google with the thought of grabbing a quick coffee and something baked. Then saw the menu and switched to dining in. So glad we did. The food was perfect - and I don't use that word lightly - both the Big Breakfast & the Quiche. I am *not* a breakfast person and I want to come back just to have this again. I also grabbed a sweet treats box (pre-boxed assortment of baked goods). Didn't indulge in that until later in the day... big mistake. I wanted to go back for more of the macarons, but it was 1:55 and they closed at 2 pm. I truly believe they're the best I've ever had. The rest of the cookies were very good, but those were top notch. Location saved, just in case I'm ever in Phoenix again.

Absolutely horrible, make sure to check your food carefully before leaving. I drove for an hour to come purchase many food items from this bakery. One of those items was the quiche Lorraine from their quick service area. When I got home I discovered both of the quiche's had mold growing all over them due to the bakery not safely storing their refrigerated goods that were obviously left out over the weekend. This is a major health hazard and I may even report it to the health department. After I complained I was refunded but nothing was done to compensate for this issue. Essence Bakery did not offer to replace the food items or comp my bill as a properly managed food establishment should. I recommend finding another bakery to eat at if not, eat here your own risk for food poisoning.

Baked goods were incredible! Breakfast sandwich melted in my mouth. The Brioche was so good! Coffee was adequate, not my favorite but not terrible.

This bakery is a community gem, delicious flavorful and fresh everything. The chef Eugenia an acclaimed pastry chef and her husband frequently step into the dinning area to say hello. A truly special experience.

Unpleasant, horrible customer service. Whoever was wearing glasses and taking our order should work on her customer service and attitude in general. Our first reaction was: “I would never want to be friends with this girl.” It kind of ruined our experience to be honest. Although the croissants are good, we are never coming back. The coffee was not good either. If you charge almost $20 for a breakfast plate, shouldn’t you be providing good food OR good customer service at least? I saw neither in my visit. The breakfast plate was small and depressingly looking. We were deeply disappointed.

Unbelievably good! I have never had a more moist cupcake. The chocolate was decadent but not overly sweet. Silky smooth top with the crunchy bits were a perfect complement to this cupcake. The toasted coconut was so good my friend was dancing as she took her second bite. Friendly service, great recommendation of flavors, and inviting storefront. Sooooo good! Thank you so much!

Urban Cookies in Phoenix has been my go to sweetshop for the past few years! They staff here is always amazing and their baked goods are incredible! I try to pop in once a week to get goodies for my staff, and having several staff members who have food allergies or dietary preferences, Urban Cookies has been able to accommodate all of those! Definitely will be coming back to Urban Cookies!

Urban Cookies Bakeshop in Downtown Phoenix is my go-to for gourmet dessert treats! Their handcrafted cupcakes, doughnuts, cookies, and bars are beautifully made and taste outstanding. I especially love the dark chocolate sea-salt cookies and German chocolate cupcakes, each bite is rich and satisfying. They also offer delicious vegan and gluten-free options, so there's something for everyone. The shop has a warm, upscale-casual vibe, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. A perfect stop for a sweet treat or special occasion. Highly recommend! 😊

I love this place! I stopped recently when i was looking for a good hearty homemade-like brownie. Oh my gosh, this place did not disappoint! It's such a cute little shop in downtown Phoenix. They offer gourmet sweets made from scratch and some are vegan. The brownie is got did not contain eggs. They are also very reasonably priced which is big for me because this delicious place should be affordable for the public. I've only tried the brownie but it was so decadent and airy, not too sweet and very light. 10/10 highly recommend.

This place was awesome! They had a variety of desserts, including cupcakes and cookies. I tried the delicious margarita cupcake, which had creamy icing and actual tequila. The cowboy cookie was tasty too, and the kettle potato chips added a fun twist. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the shop is a cozy pick-up spot. I can't wait to return!

I buy cookies here all the time for clients! Local delicious family owned bake shop doing things right. Fresh baked goods every day, unreal cupcakes, and super good cakes too! Everyone there is friendly, service is speedy as you'd hope, and the shop is always SPOTLESS and well decorated. Repeat customer for life.

This cupcake shop feels magical the moment you walk in, with displays so pretty they look like art. I grabbed a batch for my birthday and they were perfectly moist with just the right amount of icing and flavor. It made my day extra special and I cannot wait to go back for more.

My wife and I got the cake for our wedding from Růže Cake House, and we enjoyed not only the cake but the experience of selecting it. We were provided a sample size cake of 6 different types. We tried 5 delicious and elegant stylings, but we ultimately selected the 6th - the funfetti style. I thought we were just childish at first, but I won't hesitate to say that I have never had a better funfetti cake in my life - and its softness was easy to cut in front of a hundred people too!

Beautiful bakery. We tried 8 different macaron flavors today in order to decide which ones will be used as party favors. They were ALL delicious and gorgeous to look at. My kids and I left giddy.

Really enjoyed this place. The boba was just right, semi sweet and flavorful. On this note, it seems like a good place to sit down and enjoy a beverage and a dessert (once they open the dining room). Inside it has a nice open and spacious ambiance. Highly recommend. Cotton candy on top of boba is an extra!

I was very impressed. Great customer service. Explained menu items to me as well as gave a few good recommendations. The Macaroons were very good. The Iced coffee and lemonades were just as good. Even though the inside seating is closed for covid, they had a cute table outside we could sit at and enjoy. The ambiance inside is very insta-worthy, if you’re into that sort of thing. Definitely recommend as a cute mini date spot then maybe a walk around old town. I’d like a better variety though.

Food: Overpriced, so brace yourself. However, I will say the flavor is well worth the splurge. I would recommend the Chocolate Chip Cookie and Neopolitan macaroons. Their Matcha boba drink with cotton candy is also quite fantastic and mind the Vietnamese coffee, it is cold brew so it won't be as thick as a normal Vietnamese coffee. Atmosphere: Crisp and to the point. The greenery adds to their minimalistic style with their products placed purposefully on shelves. But the large table in the middle of their shop obscures the beautifully crafted pastries and, on first sight, doesn't help create a comforting environment for patrons who enter. In other words, the brass chairs, quiet atmosphere, and hard tables don't invite me to sit down and chat for longer than a couple minutes. Service: I've had the same girl who has served me the past three visits and she has always done a spectacular job, giving recommendations and being very kind. Overall: Great little shop with lots of eye candy and delicious, but expensive, delicacies and drinks. Fantastic for a girl's hangout or a quick drop-by for something delicious.

One of the prettiest bakery in town, absolutely loved their decor very instagrammable.. Had lavender iced latte with boba, pistachio rose macaron and oreo chocolate macaron.. Loved all of it , though chocolate macaron was a bit sweeter for me.. They have some amazing macaron flavours would definitely love to try other flavours on my next visit.. And you can also choose different flavours and make a macaron gift box , m sure people with sweet tooth gonna love it..

What was meant to be a surprise graduation cake was completely ruined during transit from the bakery to the restaurant. The driver—arranged by the bakery—dropped it off in this condition and rushed out. Thankfully, the restaurant manager quickly snapped a photo, chased down the driver, and returned the cake, stating they could not accept it in that condition. When I sent the picture to Cate from the bakery, she argued that it wasn’t their responsibility because the driver was a third party… even though she arranged the delivery. On top of the damage, the cake didn’t even match my order: it was missing the “RN” letters on the sides of the medallion and had the wrong plaque. Yes it looked like a beautiful cake but without what I asked for. A reputable bakery takes ownership from the beginning without arguing with the customer and works with the delivery partner to resolve the problem because the customer’s relationship is with the bakery, not the driver. When I texted Cate about the missing design elements, her response (see screenshot) again showed no accountability and not even a simple “I’m sorry.” She seemed more annoyed with me about the situation and asking for a refund like I did something wrong.

Three day turn around time for a custom cake and excellent customer service!!! I called on Wednesday right before they closed to see if a custom cake was possible to be completed by Saturday to which the gal on the phone was helpful and said it was not a problem just go to the website and fill out the custom order form. I received an email the following morning, confirming they could get the cake taken care of and it would only be $85! There was a hiccup with the cake when I received it but I called and Steven was extremely kind and quick in getting the minor issue resolved quickly!!! My husband was so happy with his cake and our guests loved the Reese’s flavor. We will be back in the future!

Each cake we've purchased has been 100% moist and Superb!! The owner is extremely friendly as the staff very welcoming!! Excellent cakes, the best!! We are avid cake people. Buddy Cake Boss, Georgetown Cupcakes of Food Channel and Sprinkles although they are very good, are not nearly as tasty/good as this Bakery. Phenomenal product!! We got the Strawberry and the Snickers cake and tasted German Chocolate Perfection!!! As long as we live in Arizona our forever cake shop. 🎂!!!

We love this place! Delicious coffee and cake. The blueberry pancake latte is amazing! Super fun cake decorating class. We’ll be back! And it was in the same building where I bought my wedding dress, so special! Would also be a great girls day to go wedding dress shopping then pop next door for coffee/pastries!

I've been coming here for quite a few years; I drove out of my way when they were on 16th street. I have spent a lot of money, and I'm sad to say I won't be back. The customer service I experienced in June and again this past week was horrible. I hate to say this, but I believe it is because of the color of my skin. I stood waiting for someone to acknowledge me while they all looked at me, walking back and forth talking to each other. I will find another bakery to spend my money. You should treat everyone with respect regardless of their skin color.

aBake Shop did an absolutely phenomenal job with our wedding cake and mini desserts. The taste was impeccable, and the presentation was gorgeous. Cate and the team were friendly, responsive, and accommodating.

The most posh bakery in downtown Phoenix area, I noticed some pastries were gone by 10:30 am so my suggestion is get there earlier for a wider selection, the tasting cake was out for people to try, I bought a variety of mini cupcakes and a shortbread with chocolate ganache! Absolutely mouthwatering

Silver Rose was recommended to us by our wedding planner, Niki from NJ Event Collective, and we’re really glad we went with them! The tasting experience was excellent: we loved the flavors so much that we chose a two-tier cake with two different fillings, along with a couple dozen tarts in two flavors. Everything tasted absolutely delicious on the big day, and our guests raved about the desserts! The only thing that could have been clarified better was regarding the design preparation/process. We were under the impression (based on what was mentioned at the tasting but we may have misheard/misunderstood this) that we would be sent some photos beforehand to confirm the flower embellishments on the cake, based on our various inspiration photos. When we saw the cake on the wedding day, it was beautiful and close to what we had envisioned so we were still very happy with the end result. With a bit more clarity in the communication process, it would have been a flawless experience. I ordered two cakes this weekend as a surprise for my in-laws, who usually only get grocery store cakes. One was a Peaches and Cream cake to celebrate their retirement on Saturday the 14th, and the other was a Lemon Blueberry cake for Father’s Day on Sunday the 15th. Both cakes were absolutely stunning—clearly made with great care and artistry. However, we ran into a small issue with the Peaches and Cream cake. When we cut into it after dinner, it was unfortunately quite dry and lacked the juicy peach flavor we were expecting. There were very few peach pieces, and the buttercream overwhelmed the overall taste. When I returned to pick up the second cake, I brought the remainder of the first and shared my concerns. Priscilla, who helped me, was incredibly kind and professional. She examined the cake, agreed it likely hadn’t been soaked properly, and assured me they would make it right. She even let me taste the Lemon Blueberry cake before I left to ensure it was up to standard. And it was—delicious, even straight from the fridge! I can only imagine how amazing it will be at room temperature. This is exactly the experience I had hoped for with the first cake. While I’m disappointed we didn’t get to enjoy the Peaches and Cream as intended, I truly appreciate Priscilla’s honesty and her willingness to make things right. I wasn’t expecting a refund or compensation, especially since we had already eaten most of the cake, so her gesture meant a lot. It’s clear the staff here genuinely care about their customers. Beautiful cakes, thoughtful service, and a team that stands behind their work. I’ll definitely be back for more. P.S. The cake pops? So good. Perfect little treats!

We’ve enjoyed Silver Rose Bakery for multiple events over the years. They’ve made several birthday cakes, a baby shower cake, and cake pops for different celebrations. Always beautiful and delicious. We even saw them sponsoring the Chef Event for the March of Dimes last year, where they created these incredible mini desserts. Recently, we ordered custom soccer cake pops for our daughter’s team, they turned out amazing and the kids loved them. While we were there, we noticed some mini cakes you can decorate right on the spot. What a great idea! We ended up ordering a couple with different decorations for two small occasions, and they were not only yummy but looked fantastic. They make it so easy to order what we need and are very helpful with ideas.

I ordered the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake, Round 4 inches for $52.95. The positives: Frosting was amazing as well as the customer service! The frosting was not overly sweet, which we liked. Negative: The cake was soooo dry it took away from the wonderful frosting flavor & presentation. For $53 for a 4inch, I expected the cake to be MOIST. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I've had better(I won't name places as I feel that's rude when leaving a review). I found this place online and it had 4.9 stars so I tried it out. Yes, I followed the directions and let it sit out for 2-3 hours before serving. Honestly, because of the great reviews I would try this place again but only one more time. I will update my review IF the 2nd cake is any better (I will order a different flavor). Maybe our cake was a one off? I'm saying that due to the other reviews. Unfortunately, our cake was just too dry and we ended up throwing more than half of it away.

We used silver rose bakery for our wedding at chilleen's and so glad that we did. The cake testing was great and the day of our wedding, everything was exceptional. We had a three-tiered cake, additional desserts like puff pastries and cheesecakes and we also ordered a birthday cake for my father-in-law. Everything was absolutely delicious and we were very thankful that we used them for our special day.

PHENOMENAL meal. My wife is GF and I am not, but holy smokes this place knocked both our socks off. Chicken was the best I’ve ever had. Donuts were (maybe) the best I’ve ever had. Waffles? Delicious. All the sauces? To die for. Do NOT miss this place. It was a top 10 meal I’ve had in my life, gluten free or not.

I'll go back. 😊 The food was good, but slightly under seasoned. Still, it was still tasty. The service was good, but it took awhile for the food. Still, the staff were friendly and attentive. I really liked the atmosphere. Coffee was ok...I need to try it black next time and re-evaluate. My single real issue is the hours of operation. 9a to 3p. Those hours, for me, mean I can't solicit their business during the week--I'm already working by the time they open and I'm still working when they close. I suppose they're good as a lunch only place and a late brunch place on the weekend. Still, a place for breakfast and coffee in the morning would be nice. Bottom line, I am going back, which is really the only important thing. They're worth an occasional visit even if they won't work as my *regular place*.

Great gluten free food. As a a celiac, didnt have any reaction. Staff was helpful and nice. Can be crowded at noon so there can be some waiting involved until a table is available. Definitely recommend as a gluten free restaurant in Pheonix and near the airport area.

Very popular spot, so be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes on the weekends for a table, but don’t let that stop you from going here. There is a reason this is a go-to place for food. It’s hands down my favorite place to eat for breakfast/lunch. Completely celiac friendly restaurant, no gluten, and accommodates other allergies. Tastes better than gluten food too. Try it!

I happened to stumble across this restaurant and I'm so glad that I did! As someone who has to eat gluten-free, I was able to order anything that I wanted since the whole menu is gluten-free. I had the chicken and waffles and split a donut hole with my husband. Everything was DELICIOUS and the service was great on top of it. Don't miss out on this great place!

Jewel’s was the perfect place to eat immediately after landing at phoenix airport. My mom is a gluten and dairy free person, and this restaurant had so many options that satisfied both dietary restrictions. She was giddy with choice! We eventually both settled on the millionaire breakfast. Which had popcorn chicken, donuts, and waffles + bacon all stacked in a single dish. The portion was enormous, and the food was delicious. (I say this as a person who typically doesn’t enjoy any gluten free option of bread-centric dishes). I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent breakfast food. One thing to note - our server informed us the ghost pepper bacon was more of a sweet bacon than a spicy bacon, my mom and I both found it way too spicy, and we ended up needing to order extra sides of bacon, because we were tearing up with the ghost pepper bacon.

Tried this place twice now. I feel like all the attention is given to the main location, with this one not getting the proper training or staff. both times i’ve been here i’ve ordered coffee, and have waited quite a bit for it. the coffee & flavor is very mellow, but fine. i love coffee & pastries and even went to france to try them, so my expectations for this place have been extremely high; yet both times i’ve been left feeling underwhelmed at the flavor in the treats. the location itself lacks character however i know it’s new and the main focus is the baked goods.

This JL Patisserie in Central had some real nice pastries, we bought 4 stuffed croissants that were real good. The real pistachio filled pastrie was outstanding the ham and cheese was good. The macarons have a high flavor are are outstanding. The other item are to be had later and look real good. The service was outstanding, the only criticism I had was the ordering process is a bit odd unless you know exacly what you want and not walking back and forth from the display to the register. Overall cost was not bad for some real fresh pastries. Simple seating was available inside and out. Update, pumpkin tart was awsome, that hint of pepper in it of what we believe was great. The 🍋 cake was overpowering but awsome.

This place is amazing. We come here every Sunday, and the consistency and quality are so reliable. Coffee is also yum. The BEST pastries and croissants that you’re going to get in Arizona. I feel like it’s a hidden gem.

I agree with many of the reviews, I guess we expect higher quality paying higher price. I was waiting the opening on Central first location. I was disappointed first time with the morning bun, it was wet inside not what I was expecting. I tried the croissants, am not fan of the almond extract… also too sweet the pistachio o the fillings..Whole Foods pastry many pastries taste the extract that I don’t care for..it..way too much.. The eclair, the Choux wasn’t wow and the cream was too dense too. I still go once in a while but prices are too high..

The pastries are really yummy I enjoy the pistachio chocolate crossaint. The coffee is okay nothing to rave about. Service was kind of slow and the workers don't seem to lovw nor hate working there. The BREAKFAST SANDWICH was nasty it had sooooo much grease and the potatoes were super greasy. You can tell whoever cooked and served them didn't place them on a paper towel after frying. And the sausage inside the sandwich was so thick and greasy, it was as thick ask my fork see the picture I have!

Last year I was in Phoenix to meet with a valued client, and wanted to bring something that was of good quality for our morning meeting. I pre-ordered two dozen pastries from JL Patisserie, and the reviews from my client's team were incredible. They raved about how delicious everything was and were very impressed I had found a local, high quality vendor some of them hadn't even heard of before rather than going with a predictable big chain brand. I appreciated that everything was boxed and ready right on time for me to pick up, and the service was very friendly. This will always be my go-to when I'm in AZ!

Such a fantastic experience all around! Cheryl was very quick to respond when I initially inquired about cake services and had great communication. Pickup the day-of was also very seamless. We were incredibly satisfied with how the cake design turned out, especially since Neon Genesis Evangelion isn't a common ask; everyone thought it was the coolest thing! Communicative, experienced, thoughtful, and creative! Cheryl at CCSweetSensations made my nephews party truly memorable. We wanted a sheet cake and a smash cake for his 1st bday, sent her some ideas and she got to work. She made me feel like she was actually excited to make the cake and never seemed bothered with my questions. The flavors were incredible as you can see, my nephew thoroughly enjoyed it!

Bamboo made the most gorgeous, extravagant and DELICIOUS cake I’ve ever had. Ordering was so easy, they matched the reference photo exactly (honestly even better than the photo) and the option to pay via zelle made it an ideal experience. I ordered my daughters birthday cake a day prior to her party…I totally forgot about the cake…anyways, the baker did such an amazing job on such short notice and also allowed me to give him inspiration ideas. Cakes was very delicious, we order the chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling, everyone loved it, both children and adults! Would highly recommend! Price is worth the work!!

Bamboo bakery delivers the highest quality cakes! My wife and I have had our baby shower cake made here, and recently have had my wife’s birthday cake. The attention to detail is spectacular. The strawberry almond filling is one of the best cake filling I have ever had. Thank you David and your staff!

We had the pleasure of ordering a cake from Bamboo Bakery for our wedding back in 2015, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. The staff really took the time to listen to our vision for the cake, and they executed it perfectly. Not to mention, the cake itself was absolutely delicious! It not only looked stunning but tasted as good as it looked—moist, flavorful, and a true crowd-pleaser. Fast forward to now, and we just ordered a cake for our 10-year anniversary from Bamboo Bakery. After such a wonderful experience the first time, I knew we had to come back for this special occasion. Once again, they didn’t disappoint! If you’re looking for a bakery that delivers both great service and incredible cakes, look no further. Highly recommend! :)

Heard good things so I dropped in to give it a go. I was NOT disappointed what so ever! The staff was friendly and quick. The bakery was clean and tidy. The baked goods were absolutely amazing! The spinach and cheese croissant was fantastic! The chocolate croissant was excellent as well. Probably the best sugar cookies I've ever had. And they were decorated beautifully too. I'll definitely be going back!

I love little treats, one might say I'm always on the hunt for them. Came here while I had some time to kill and the eas no shortage of delicious looking treats to choose from. Had the apple danish and cherry turnover. These treats hit the spot!

How to positive experience here. Just came in to get a couple of little treats and the lady behind the counter was very nice. She and gave me a free Christmas cookie. The place was clean, she was very hygenic which I appreciate. I enjoyed my scone for breakfast.

This place is amazing! High quality, affordable, personable and competent staff, and a wide variety of delicious treats! My boyfriend and I like to get up early and grab a box of pastries from them every few weeks as a special treat, and everything we've ever had there is just to die for. We discovered it when looking for a Swedish princess cake for my birthday, and it was incredible! I highly recommend this bakery, and of course we'll be back.

Before I get started let me just say there customer service is TOP TEIR! They went above & beyond to have this order ready in a timely matter & when I had wait a few extra mins as they were extremely busy they added in some extra goodies for waiting. The cakes were SO delicious & adorable for a little girls 1st bday! You must try the spinach croissants, They are out of this world!!!

Love this place! The options are stellar- if you want any dessert, you can probably find it here. The muffins are amazing & so are the brownies. There's literally a chocolate lava muffin, which I've never seen before. Their decorated sugar cookies are a little hard & taste a little stale, but they are adorable. You have to visit this place- you will not regret it :)

My coworker and I visited for lunch and were highly disappointed. The food was subpar and overpriced. Both entrees came with rice and noodles, both very bland. My beef entree was very salty; the meat was tender but it's probably because of the abundance of soy sauce used. My coworker's pork entree w/ liver sauce was basically all fat and a few hard pieces of meat, and the sauce definitely wasn't a liver sauce. The lumpia was good though... The food was hardly edible, so we requested to go boxes instead of sending the food back but ultimately left hungry. The total for the two entrees and appetizer was $50! Per the item prices on the menu the total for the meal should have been $40 at best. When my coworker questioned the amount charged, he was given back $10 cash in haste with an attitude instead of an itemized receipt.

If you like guilt tripping sales tactics, freezer burnt old chicken, flavorless food, and paper plates, this place is your spot. Place will be out of business by next month at this rate.

Was so excited to try this place, as I'm visiting from out of state where we don't have many Filipino dining options. The food was PHENOMENAL! We all ordered different dishes and shared, and loved every single one. We also got an ube cheesecake and flan, which were perfectly not too sweet - so so good!! Planning to stop back in again to get some baked goods before we return home. 😊

Although we did not sit down in the restaurant, we took our food to go. The restaurant was quiet and nicely decorated. No one was in the restaurant anyway, it was empty on a Saturday @1:15-1:30 pm. I ordered the chicken isasla, and it was good until I saw that my chicken was undercooked. The egg rolls were good, and the pork belly was good at least.

This place is very nostalgic. They offer both food and pastries at this location. The food is reminiscent of food my mother cooked growing up. The food was cooked fresh and well seasoned. The pastries are delicious, a bit pricey but worth it. If you are Filipino or craving Filipino food it’s a must

First time trying this place. Unbelievable! The staff treated us like family and made us feel welcomed. Everyone was down to earth. The second you walk in and order you will think that the place is inconveniently small, up until you are seated. They do not allow any menus at the tables (due to covid) so they ask that you please order prior to being seated. You pay after you eat. The restaurant inside has spread apart seating and smooth piano-jazz music playing while the aroma of the bakery and food fill the air. It smells heavenly. The service was a little slow, but it seems to be as though they have a small staff. Take out is optional. I ordered 3 dishes and 2 desserts. Chicken Adobo which is bone-in chicken marinated with vinegar, garlic, and soy sauce with rice. Comes with about a cup serving each of rice AND noodles. 10/10. Mouth watering tender meat packed with flavor and covered in thick, rich gravy that pairs perfectly with white rice. It will have you licking every last drop. A must try! Pansit Bihon Guisado which is rice noodles with sauteed vegetables and small pieces of chicken. 8/10. Lemon elevates the noodles. The carrots were sweet, the chicken was soft. Nice seasonings. Squeeze a lemon over the top and stir noodles. It really adds a loving flavor and pairs nicely with lemon. If you enjoy rice noodles I would recommend this dish. Lumpias which is 9 small Filipino style crunchy egg rolls that come with sweet chili sauce. 10/10. When I say crunchy. I mean it! If you have a big party you're going to want to buy 2 orders. They are addicting! Delicious inside and out. Crispy. Crispy. Crispy! If you like spring rolls, egg rolls, or anything fried and crunchy. I highly recommend these little guys. Must try! For dessert I took home a Canoli and finally got to try their famous fluffy mini Ube Cheesecakes which are made with purple yams. When I took that first bite of the cheesecake I was blown away. Was not expecting it to taste THAT good. Nothing like American cheesecake. Incredibly smooth and leaves your mouth drooling for more. If you love cheesecake I highly recommend. Must try! I will be going back. I have to try more. Round 2. Fight! 🙏

La Purisima Bakery at the Glendale location, did a phenomenal job on crafting a beautiful birthday cake for my mother's 81st birthday. They worked closely with us to create a cake to our exact specifications that was much appreciated by all our guests. Not only was it a beautiful cake, but was delicious as well. The staff supporting these efforts were patient and kind and exceeded expectations! FYI, had the opportunity to sample several bakery items on our numerous visits and were never disappointed; Delicious empanadas, cookies!

I love coming here for the cream or rice pudding filled donuts for my girlfriend. The service here is always welcoming and kind. Today I made a stop here for some, and I had some cash to pay part-way, but my card declined. The front cashier, without hesitation, decided to pay the rest off with her own cash. Another time, a worker saw a beggar overheating, and decided to give them some water. This establishment has excellent service and an even more excellent atmosphere and employees.

They were a little busy, but absolutely worth the wait! The tamales and fresh flour tortillas weren't pictured, but they were amazing. Can't wait to come back!

This is easily one of the best Hispanic bakeries in town, and the line of locals outside says it all. They’ve got tasty burritos, a huge selection of sweet breads and pastries at great prices, quick service, and even cakes. Totally worth the stop!

Always come here! They have the absolute best pastries and breads. They also make fresh tortillas and sell red/green chili burritos and on the weekend menudo. All tastes amazing 🤩. This is the go to spot. Staff is always so friendly and quick. You gotta try it out.

If you want some authentic Mexican deserts then this is a must try! Place is packed on Sunday afternoon. And it is definitely not your hangout and take selfie kinda place. Get your stuff and move on. The ladies at the counter are super nice and helpful. They went to all the trouble helping me out to get what I want despite my non-existent Spanish skills. Awesome deserts, awesome service.

Our favorite Phoenix-area Mexican bakery, La Purisma, is located near historic Downtown Glendale. While we don't know the name of everything we purchased during our most recent trip there, everything was excellent. Plus we enjoy ordering - "I'll have one of these and two of 'dem!" Great prices. Nice people! We will continue to make La Purisma a favorite Glendale stop

We ordered a cake here for my mom’s 72nd birthday. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t the best from the start. Ordering the cake over the phone was not very smooth, as the staff wasn’t particularly helpful. When we picked it up, the cake itself looked beautiful and we were hopeful. However, once we cut into it, we were very disappointed. The layers of white chocolate mousse were so thick that they completely overpowered the cake itself. The filling was extremely sweet, making it hard to enjoy, and you could barely taste the actual cake. In the end, it felt more like eating frosting than cake. Overall, it was a letdown for such an important celebration.

100% recommend this bakery! Butter cream frosted with white chocolate mouse filling marble cake and it was delicious. This is the first cake I have ever bought that nit one person had something to say about the flavor. The buttercream was perfect, usually its so sweet that's what people complain about but this buttercream...... it was perfe t. Everyone ate the whole.slice. The white chocolate mouse wasDevine, mini chips I was not expectingnor was anyone else and it made the cake ever more delightful, I will be back and if your debating, stop, go get the cake/cupcakes, you won't be disappointed at all. Placing my custom cake order was super easy, the customer service was outstanding. The cake itself was DELICIOUS. Truly beyond expectations. Highly recommend!

Both of my custom cake orders have been spectacular! From my daughter’s Momma Mia cake for her birthday, to our winter wonderland cake for Christmas. Both are exactly what we wanted with mousse flavors that are out of this world! Excellent job again The Baker Wee Bakery! We’ll be back soon!

Amazing shop to have a custom-made cake. We found a photo of a design we liked and they adapted it to become a 2 layer cake. They nailed the artwork, the gradient was awsome, we loved the barrel cactus, best of all the cake was moist and tasty. I deducted 1 star as I gave them adaptive freedom to design the cacti how they want but I told them a couple of times that I wanted the writing to go all the way around the top layer. Nonetheless, it was beautiful, and our cherished neighbor loved it. Is it expensive?...well, yes. A few hundred dollars...but you are paying for time and design. If you want a cheap cake go to Frys. Lol. If this is a special occasion, just do it.

We recently order dessert sampler trays and customized cookies for our 50th anniversary celebration. They were even able to make a couple of our custom cookies Gluten free for a family member who has celiac disease. Delivery & setup was great and the desserts were delicious! Would definitely recommend!

We got a cake here for our wedding and could not have been happier. We did their bigger tasting which was great since we got a good sense of flavors and combos. They did an amazing job with the decorations for us and we had so many compliments on both the look and flavors of the cake! I cannot recommend this place enough, for any of your cake needs! (Especially love their carrot cake and their strawberry cake!)

I would not recommend this shop for cakes. I ordered a 4-inch round cake for a birthday, specifically requesting vintage piping and gold accents. What I received looked rushed and poorly executed. The piping was messy, the overall presentation was sloppy, and the writing appeared as if it were done by someone with little to no cake decorating experience. Considering the cake cost around $65, I expected a much higher level of quality. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. You would be better off saving your money and ordering from Walmart.

I am very sad to have to write this review and Sweet Dee's was our go-to bakery for custom orders for years and I really enjoyed using them for desserts for our parties. On June 30th, 2025 I placed a custom order for a two tier cake for my baby shower. I had a few email correspondence with the woman who takes the custom orders, Lynda-- after I sent my inspiration pictures she left me voicemail asking that I correspond with her via phone so we could discuss some things. We discussed a cake to feed about 30 people (expected guest list was about 27 people) and to make a naked style cake with boho theme (we discussed adding the boho rainbow decoration, fresh flowers and some dried decorative grass to tie it all together). She confirmed my order over the phone and took my payment, then confirmed pickup would be the day of the shower (August 9th) at 1100. Fast forward to the day of the shower, my mom shows up to pick up the cake, and they say they don't have a cake for us. The woman she spoke with was incredibly rude to her and when asked to double check she basically told my mom I never responded to her and the order was never placed. When the message was relayed to me, I quickly got on the phone and let them know everything was done through phone call as that was what I was asked to do. I had $296 taken from my account on 6/30/25 for this custom order and confirmation of the date of pickup and time. I too was met with quite a bit of attitude saying that I should have received a confirmation email if that was the case. I let her know I was unaware of this as I had not received one in the past when I ordered custom cakes from them and that regardless, the money was taken from my account on that day, the cake should have been made. She said they could still make a cake for the event but would not be able to provide the flavors I wanted. I was very disappointed because I was quite set on what flavors I wanted for this cake, but conceited that I didn't have any other option, so I agreed. They did offer to deliver the cake by hand for the trouble, but sadly when it arrived it was nothing like what I would have expected for the price I paid. The cake was significantly smaller than what I ordered and ended up not being able to accommodate the 27 people I had planned for-- I know this was not the right size as I mentioned earlier, I ordered the same size cake/same price cake for my other baby shower and my son's birthday and they were definitely larger cakes. The cake leaned to one side and the flowers arrive totally wilted. The decorations were nothing like what I wanted (although that is to be expected since they didn't have my order apparently) and it was such a disappointment because this cake was supposed to be the centerpiece for my decorations in the kitchen. :( Sadly, even the taste and texture was very off in comparison to other cakes we have ordered in the past. The buttercream had split and was grainy in the center of the bottom layer and the cakes were very dense and had no flavor to them at all. It was honestly embarrassing to serve to my guests and most people left their piece half eaten and opted for the store bought cupcakes we had as a backup. To add to the insult, when the cake was delivered, they gave us an envelope with a 30% off our next purchase--as if we will be ever purchasing from them again after this. I felt that a refund for part of the price we paid would have been more fair considering the cake was not what we ordered, terrible flavor and texture and arrive lopsided with wilted flowers. I have attached a picture of the cake they made for my son's baby shower (Harry Potter) a few years earlier and his first birthday cake (Mickey Mouse) for reference as we paid the same amount of money for all of the cakes so this was the quality and size I was expecting. So disappointed on how bad we were burned this time around and will unfortunately be finding a new bakery for our custom orders each year.

It's a little bakery so dont go with lots of people it gets crowded fast, if your wanting those mouse/custard filled fruits desserts they sell out after an hour opening! We got a lavender and blueberry cupcake, a pumpkin macaroon, and a chocolate mousse with hard chocolate on the outside decorated as a cookie. The cookie mousse thing was sweet but went nicely with the matcha latte we got, the pumpkin macaroon was delicious and true to taste and the cupcake was a good kind of different flavor was pleasant. Would recommend this place if you like sweet desserts and they are sweeet! Super cute decorative desserts

Pastries are amazing but don’t recommend the cakes… I’d rate 5 star for pastries typically because the bakery aspect is amazing, I’ve always loved the sweet treats! However was pretty disappointed with this cake order. Ordered for my parent’s 25th wedding anniversary and sent many pictures of the cake we wanted to recreate from their wedding. Had a very long phone call explaining exactly what we wanted and was eager to get the cake believing it would be amazing just like all the desserts I’ve had before. It was a simple white frosted banana cake with a bow on the front that wrapped around the edges. The cake in reality tasted like vanilla not banana, the cake was dense, no filling only frosting. The bow was not well constructed, looked unfinished and too big(see picture of top of cake), and wasn’t anything like the inspo pictures. On top of that my sister had to wait over 30 minutes after arriving because it was not ready at the pickup time. Would have said this in person however I had my sister pick this up due to them closing at 2:00 and I work a 9-5. Sad to disappoint my parents and likely won’t order a cake here again. Want to reiterate this is not my typically experience here however I just wanted to post that this may not be the place to order a cake. Still highly recommend their pastries.

We got a cake & macaroons for my friend Bach / birthday and they were AMAZING! The cake was so cute & perfect! The macarons were so delicious and everyone loved the rainbow design!

Where do I even start.... I sent an email about a month ago to customer order a vintage heart cake for my birthday. SweetDee's has all this hype on social media, so I thought it would be amazing! This place, cake, customer service, everything is bad. I asked for a Chocolate, Cream and Cherry, German Black Forest cake and got a Chcocolate and Coconut Cake. The cake itself was not cute, I think a child could write numbers better then their business can. We cut it open, it looked dry already and the if you put the frosting on your finger it crumbled into bits. I sent an email, left a voicemail. Never got a call back, so I called during business hours to go back and fourth with the owner about what our emails said. She didn't even bother apologizing until I repeated myself 3 times, I already had sent an email with pictures. Then she apologized, tried to explain what a German cake is multiple times. She said their was confusion on flavoring, but they never reached out for clarity or asked any further questions/ sent an email. She also said she would call me back, didn't do that either. For $91.00 after taxes, would you pay for this? Not to mention it's an hour drive. I arrived an hour before the cake was supposed to be ready; to eat there and try their coffee. They said they cake wasn't even ready yet. lol. Take your time, business and birthday's somewhere else.

I ordered a custom cake from Sweet Dee's and had an amazing experience. The design and flavor I wanted were not at all easy to execute (for example, another bakery said they had no idea how to do it), but Lynda did an incredible job and exceeded my expectations. My family loved how the cake tasted, too. The ordering process was easy and smooth and the cake was ready right on time. Thank you!

Close to two years ago now, Ella from Classic Cakes and Confections made our wedding cake. Both my husband and I loved the cake! It's was delicious and she does beautiful work! All of our guest who tried our wedding cake could not get enough of it. She's great to work with and we appreciated her professionalism towards her craft! We've now started a tradition to go back every anniversary to have our top tier recreated. I recommend her to everyone. She's LGBT friendly too, which was very appreciated!

Ella with Classic Cake and Confection was amazing to work with and went above and beyond for our destination wedding! As someone in the event industry, I’m very particular about wedding cakes and Ella used all of the inspiration photos to create the perfect wedding cake. She was very easy to communicate with and extremely punctual. We had two different layers, and both were absolutely delicious.

My husband and I could not be more pleased with the customer service we received from Brian at My Goodness Cakes! Our intention was to go to several bakeries for tastings for our wedding cake, but after tasting his cakes, we knew we wanted him to make ours! I stopped in several times to discuss details with Brian, and he was extremely accommodating and pleasant each time. He even let me have a cupcake on each of my visits! When Brian delivered our wedding cake, it was everything I asked for and more. He did such an amazing job! It was beautiful and more delicious than I could possibly describe. We had also ordered a gluten-free birthday cake for whatever guests, and that too, was beautiful and tasted incredible. I would highly recommend this bakery to anyone… And I plan on ordering dozens of cupcakes for our office parties this holiday season.

Best cake ever! Brian is absolutely amazing! I waited til the last minute to order my Grandson’s 7th birthday cake and Brian (although totally booked and busy) graciously accommodated me and my family. The cake looked exactly like the picture my grandson had given me and tasted even better! Tons of compliments at the “Birthday Party”! Super moist and tasty! Brian has a way of making a person feel special and his cake and cupcakes are “DELICIOUS” ! Thank you!

We used My Goodness Cakes for our wedding cake and it turned out absolutely beautiful!! :) Brian was very prepared for our tasting and professional throughout our time working with him. He made sure the cake was at the venue on time and in perfect condition. We didn't have to work on coordination at all since Brian handled everything. We highly recommend!

So, my husband and I decided to get a cake for my brother in laws bday. So we decided on a BBC cake. I called and told them what I was thinking for a cake. They took care of everything on phone. Carefully, took all the information and sent me a invoice. Then a double confirmation. When delivery was set, james, text and called. I had descriptive information of vehicle and was even on the phone while receiving the cake. As I opened the box, I noticed how it was carefully handled and was exactly what I was looking for. The cake itself was delicious and no piece went to waste. We had an excellent experience and would highly recommend. I look forward to calling James up again and placing another order soon. And the details are perfect When you order a cake you get what you order for I mean down to the last detail they listened to you about exactly what you want This is the only bakery I will use for cakes! The Baker did not deliver what they promised, and said a lot of falsities. We ended up having to charge it back to them, and I strongly would not recommend them to my friends for anything ever. It’s actually a guy in New York with a company in Florida, pretending to be in Arizona is what we learned

I would not recommend this Bakery at all! The Gentleman we spoke to was very rude and pushy and wanted us to hurry and place our order. Before we could ask questions he wanted our personal information. We finally got to ask about the Jordan sneaker cake for 20 people and was quoted a price of 750.00 the photo that was sent was very sloppy looking. We thought it was a Joke. On their website they tell you to call their main number in Phoenix. This was the strangest call. Won't be giving them my business

My Family has ordered from Cut the Cake many times! We have never been disappointed! The macaroons are beyond amazing!! They made my little sisters wedding cake that had to be transported to another town 3 hours away and not only did it travel just fine but it it tasted amazing! I can't say enough about the service and amazing tasting treats!! I highly recommend Cut the Cake.

My first visit & I am a super fan! I tried the red velvet cupcake. The decorations are amazing. Looked like real flowers. The cake is a really nice red with perfect chocolate taste. Inside is more icing that is so yummy. Took 1 bite & forgot to take a photo! I may be cleaning the house for the next 3 days but every bite was worth any loss of sleep. This place is fantastic! It’s locally owned by a high school teacher and each of their treats are fantastic! The cupcakes have some fun flavors too.

Absolute gem. I was a bit disappointed when my group chose to eat here instead of venturing into Cave Creek but the Spanish southwestern ambiance and delicious and elevated dishes were lovely to look at and lovelier to eat. The calamari was some of the best ive ever had due to the picked sweet pea tomatoes sprinkled on top and my perfect accompaniment; spicy aoli. The summer salad with goat cheese and strawberries was fresh, bright, and delicious. The schnitzel (apparently a 10 year favorite and menu staple) and red cabbage with neon butter caper sauce was delivious and elevated and executed very well. If there was any downside, its that their price reflects their quality.

Homey feel inside and a nice outdoors seating in back. Food is good with their own take of upscale tastes of a western flare. Sometime too much spice. I had scallops that were served with a sweet potato mash with a Chipotle drizzle. Brussel Sprouts and fingerling potatoes all in the spicy potatoes mash. Too much heat.

Located in Hilton Vacation Club Rancho Manana Phoenix, Cave Creek. We have a table outside, and a backyard is a golf course. Our server was polite and pleasant. We're a total of four of us, Lunch Special Tacos, 2 of Shrimp Terra Cotta, Pork Osso Bucco, Four-Seed Baguette, and drinks. The taste was good. My taco was full of fresh vegetables, and the pork was tender. It was a little expensive for lunch, but it was a cozy place.

The food was great, and the view was incredible! The service wasn't amazing at first but after a few tables cleared the waitress became much friendlier! Overall a great night!

Beautiful view, calm receptive service, and environment with Rose, named aptly, providing superior service. Recommending dishes on the menu, (which have remained patron favs for over 30 years) proved to be stellar selections. Recommending the nonalcoholic drinks paired with fish, yummy, wallaby, and more! Added to the fish plates, a light sauce, and sautéed vegies. Surprise, Birthday mini cake! Yes, we will visit again! Thank you, Rose 🌹.

One and done Never going back The menu on line is not the actual menu for lunch Signage is bad could not find the place at first and parking is very tight width wise. The building is old and desperately needs updating. The Air conditioning does not cool off the dining area enough and the units are on the roof and vibrate and shake the tables. The food is decent but way over priced and not much food on the plate. Had $46.00 halibut there was nothing else on the plate except the tiniest 3 tomatoes I've ever seen. It's a rather dark and depressing atmosphere needs a major face lift. Obviously they don't put money back into the property it's a very old tired building. Service was good but not enough to ever want to go back

Overall a great experience and good food. However, going with 4-stars because it was a little pricey for the portions. We started with the Three Sisters Salsa & Guac. Very good! We really enjoyed the variety of flavors and chips. We also tried a few mocktails. Both were delicious but the Rhubarb Citrus Soda was a favorite. For my main meal, I went with a Caesar Salad w/Tenderloin. It was good but lacking in the tenderloin area for how much extra it was. Oh well! I still enjoyed the meal. Service was great too! Don't want to forget that. If you visit, I hope you enjoy as much as we did.

I've bought two cakes for my parent's birthdays this year and they loved them. I wish I had taken a picture of my dad's face yesterday when I opened the box with his cake in it. We hadn't had Red Velvet cake in a long time. It was already made but my family enjoyed it. The photo of a cake looks a little weird because it had just been sliced. I bought a cookie platter for my students for Valentine's Day. I was concerned they wouldn't eat them all. My students and other staff ate the entire platter within a week. Thank you Barb's bakery!

Special ordered a cannoli cake for my daughter's birthday. It was AMAZING! Everyone I dealt with was friendly & helpful. They have a huge assortment of pastries, each on looks better than the next! This is definitely my go-to for baked goods.

Barbs Bakery is the best place in Arizona for cakes. We have been using them for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. There staff are fantastic, always provide excellent service and produce beautiful delicious products.

Came in 15 minutes before closing with a custom cake order I needed the following morning. I ordered a pink champagne cake with custom art on top that I designed and emailed over for them (Only a $15 charge to add graohic prints) Cake was ready on time and exceeded presentation expectations. Parts of ends of cake a tiny bit dry but the entire center was amazingly moist and delicious. I will definitely be returning. I have been frequenting for their cupcakes as well the price point is extremely fair.

Walked in door greeted , and said they’d be would be with me in a minute. Gentleman came out of back greeted and helped me, made recommendations. We chitchatted and I cashed out, he made a recommendation for one of their danishes, he put in bag free of charge. He was very kind, it was definitely a nice change of pace, everyone should check this place out!

Over all the place looks kind of like a dive, almost didn't go in. Their items are kept in a freezer so be aware if you want something fresh now! I got lucky, they had maybe 5 single items out for sale. Was thrilled to see they have gluten free & vegan together in a few items. I had a chocolate cupcake, nothing special just okay, frosting melted fast & weird, but it was moist. The coconut cupcake had a different type of frosting that held better and was to die for!! Once again moist but also decadent in flavor. Cupcakes are small/average size and cost me a total of $9 for the two! Glad I found a yummy treat but not sure about going back for that price.

I love the Oat Bread! I live alone, so I put 3-4 slices at a time in the fridge. It’s so tasty, and since it comes frozen it stays fresh until I finish it. I also like their Lemon cake, but the icing is so sweet it’s like a sugar bomb, so don’t do that much. The pumpkin loaf is great too. Should be back on the menu soon.

By far the best gluten free baked goods I've had. Everything I've gotten from here has been absolutely delicious. It's not a "stop in and eat" type place, just pickup for orders and several huge refrigerators and freezers with tasty things to bring home and enjoy. The labels alone make this bakery stand out for how easy and clear it is to find things that are safe for me to enjoy! Definitely stop by, you won't regret it.

What an amazing bakery! They offer so many gluten free options. I went for the first time and snagged a quiche, this turkey biscuit, and a loaf of bread. They also had tons of sweet options. I had to limit myself this first visit. Let me tell you - this biscuit made me so happy. I grew up in the South so I’m a bit picky about biscuits. I’d resigned myself to the sandy puck that passes for gf biscuits available elsewhere. What a surprise to find this one that actually tastes and has a relatively close texture to a glutened biscuit. It’s a bonus that it also doesn’t have soy. Please support this adorable bakery and try their offerings. I’ll definitely return.

Tucked away in a small strip mall in North Phoenix, Gluten Free Creations is a hidden gem for anyone who’s gluten-free or vegan. The shop has an entire wall of refrigerators stocked with fresh baked goods ready to grab and go—super convenient! They also offer dry mix bags if you want to try baking gluten-free goodies at home (I didn’t catch the price, though). I picked up a vegan chocolate chip cookie that was soft, rich, and delicious—definitely on the pricey side, but worth it. The snickerdoodles were also amazing—perfectly spiced and chewy. Tons of variety and great quality. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

My wife and I are delighted to have found Gluten Free Creations Bakery! We live pretty far away in the NW Valley, but we both agree it is worth the trip to buy their bread, coffee cake, and other goodies. The gluten free bread we bought tastes very close to regular wheat bread. I think if we served it to guests they would not know the difference. Wholeheartedly plan to shop here again and again.

3/30/24: a friend had given us some bread from Balkan and we decided to check it out for ourselves this particular Saturday morning. What a great place. It's an unassuming storefront, but the second you walk in it's heavenly. There is plenty of parking and there is a myriad of items to curb your cravings. Aside from the baked goods, they have a small store with miscellaneous items. We didn't look too closely at them as our eyes gravitated to their breads, desserts, and other items in the display case. The lady behind the counter was super sweet and she explained to us about how the Figaro treat was named after the opera; that way back when, because operas were so long, during intermission, small treats (packed with sugar) were sold to help the audience stay awake for the next half of the show. We ended up purchasing one of each dessert, a savory item, and a small drink (because the bottle was cool). I cannot remember what the hot savory item was called but hey, pastry and cheese, what more do you need? :-) For all of that, it only came to $29. Balkan Bakery is 22 miles from our house so it won't be a weekly visit for us, but we will definitely return -- we must try more of their baked breads.

I came specifically for the Burek, and it absolutely lived up to the hype—flaky, savory, and packed with flavor. You can tell everything is made with care and tradition. If you’ve never tried Balkan baked goods before, this is the place to do it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something delicious and authentic. So glad I found this spot!

I finally got a chance to go in and see what they are all about. This is a a family run bakery cooking family recipes. On this visit I had a coffee and baklava. I haven’t had a lot of baklava but this was definitely the best I have had. They are very friendly and service is quick. They also have a little market if you’re looking for European brands. Pretty chill spot, they do have tables, indoor and outdoor if you want to stay and enjoy your coffee and pastry.

Woke up this morning and decided I wanted to try this place. Not disappointed, more like outstandingly impressed. I shared this spiced meat and flakery pastry with my hubby and it was amazing. I swear they make their own yogurt because it tasted prefect with the meat pastry. I can't wait to try the puff pastries I got. I wonder, if they make their own yogurt, they might make their own butter, which would make the pastry cream in the cream puffs to die for.

There's also bundtinis that can be ordered by the dozen. Great for gifting too since the regular 8" and 10" sizes are adorned with a decorative flower perched atop and there's a tiered version too. Join the loyalty club and you'll score a bundlet on your birthday! If there were better signage from Bell Rd., this place would be standing room only with lines around the block....

I came in for my annual birthday Bundt and the woman working was so incredibly sweet. She also informed me that they had gluten free options which I was completely unaware of yet so excited to hear. I wish I would have gotten her name because I’d tell her manager that she deserves a raise for the excellent customer service. The store was very busy and they were about to close but she helped everyone that walked in with a smile on her face and a good attitude. She even thanked me for waiting even though I wasn’t waiting very long. The interaction I had with her really turned my day around. Yes, sometimes something as small as a kind employee can make someone’s day. I got my gluten free chocolate chip bundles and will be back year round now that I know there are gluten free options!

Location : 59th Ave Bell Road- 9/26/25 Unfortunately, the Bundt patrol was in action refusing to honor a birthday email when my 13 year old niece went in. The “owner’ went all in asking for ID for one single one. Her mother had also went in and she still refused despite showing her an ID! Why give out these birthday emails when they won’t be honored! This Karen and she knows who she is needs an attitude adjustment! What kind of customer service does this company run???

It is my birthday and I went to pick up my cake but also get my free bundtlit. When I asked about my free cake the cashier asked if I had an account. I wasn’t sure but quickly found out I actually do. When she asked what my phone number was, she said I didn’t have an account (which I do). I did get an e-mail from nothing Bundt cakes telling me happy birthday and instructing me to go to the store to get a free cake. I showed her the e-mail and she acted like she didn’t see it and continued to ask me for the phone number. I gave her the phone number and she instructed me to sign up for an account to get my free bundlet. It felt like she wasn’t listening to me because I already told her I might have an account (which I do and it is connected to my phone number) and showed her the e-mail. I have been coming here for years and always showed my ID and got a free cake. She was not willing to accept this and continued to tell me I had to create an account. She said I can come back up to 7 days to get my cake once I complete the registration and get the e-mail (which I already had and showed her). When I told her I won’t be able to come back because of work she gave me a sarcastic “awww that sucks”. She was super rude and was unwilling to give me my free cake. I left feeling u heard, frustrated, and without my free bustle cake. I plan on telling all my family members who come to this location with me to not bother and go somewhere else. I shouldn’t have been treated this was especially on my birthday. Please do not go here! Go anywhere else

I recommend trying their Red Velvet and Carrot Cake. The cakes are very moist. The frosting is a Cream Cheese frosting and that is the cherry on top. They make you feel welcome as soon as you enter. No order necessary, cakes are ready to purchase.

I had went in an ordered 3 dozen for my birthday. Told the girl what i had wanted. And when people were eating them on the day of my party I saw there were not what I had ordered. So I called to complain. I was told they couldn't do a refund, but give me a credit at first I sad no. Then I thought yes I would take that credit and the manager said no. It had ruined my birthday. Not very happy.

They were friendly but quick. The cakes are ALWAYS awesome. I was able to simply walk in and with their help, I was out thr door in less than 10 minutes with exactly what I needed.

Found this gem after doing a Google search. The place is small but the stuff were really nice. I got the beef soup, man first of all it was super big..After getting over that, the smell was so tasty, finally got the first taste of soup and I was hooked OK! The veggies was chucky, the meat was tender and the broth was PREFECT! I think rice came with it, man I was in HEAVEN! I Went back a few days later, and again I purchased the beef soup with a grewn chile burrito! You can feed two people or have left overs with them. I think this is my new go to spot when I'm working in the area.

I was greeted with the warmest welcome as if I was walking into my own Tia's home. I ordered the red menudo with toasted bread and a large jamicah to drink. It was all so delicious. The menudo broth was rich full of flavor;chillipods for sure. Lots of tender honeycomb tripe perfectly cook. The corn was also cooked to perfection; no mushy. Irma is throwing down in the kithen💯 the jimicah was so good and refreshing. Ordered a chorizo,egg and papa burro for my son and he loved it and it was a good size. Don't pass up Irma's this place is a keeper! Also, great service!

I moved to the Phoenix area recently and was looking for a bakery that would make a gluten free and vegan cake for a gender reveal party. I came across Sal's bakery and had the best experience! First of all, Sal is so kind and professional in all communications. I had initially scheduled the cake and needed to reschedule. Sal was very understanding and accommodating. The cake turned out perfect and is THE BEST gluten free, vegan cake I have ever had. We will be coming back for any future parties or events. I cannot recommend this bakery enough. Thank you, Sal!!

My fiancé Steven and I have been on the lookout for a great bakery with gluten free options due to his allergies. LET ME TELL YOU, we were in for a *huge* surprise because their menu has a wide variety of options, from breakfast and lunch to pies, cakes and other desserts! They have a huge menu for keto and vegan options as well! You know how most gluten free items actually taste gluten free? Not-uh, not these desserts. Everything we have tried has been so delicious and DEVINE. I want to drool when I think of their food, honestly you need to just go and experience everything for yourself!

Biggest assortment of baked goods I’ve come across. The woman who helped me was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I am super impressed and will be enjoying my sweet treats. I got vegan and was not disappointed AT ALL. The donut was warm and fresh and the macarons were the perfect texture and sweetness.

It's so good that I can go with friends and everyone can find something that they can eat! The KETO offerings mean that I can enjoy some of my favorite desserts and not feel guilty! The food is delicious and my daughter goes crazy for the macarons with all the fantastic flavors. The cake pops are absolutely delicious and come in so many different options - they were the perfect option for me when choosing a Staff Appreciation Gift of Cake Pops for Painted Rock Academy and Sal generously added extra cake pops at no charge. This is a fantastic small business offering delicious food in a wide variety of allergy sensitive diets. Bravo to My Gal Sal!!!

My Gal Sal's is by far the best gluten free bakery in town. As someone with Celiac Disease, Sal has been an absolute godsend to me. I seriously cannot explain how much I love this bakery and the woman who owns it. All GF items are made and stored in a separate area from regular items. They also have a gigantic keto and regular bakery selection. Their lunch and breakfast menus are just as inclusive. Sal and her employees even know me by name at this point and leave cute notes in my take out. Recently, I ordered 6 large sugar cookies for fun and told Sal not to worry about the decorations too much. She went above and beyond and even told me "hearts because we love you here!" I seriously cannot recommend this place enough and would encourage people of all diets and lifestyles to check it out. You will not get a small town feeling like this from many other places in Phoenix.

Favorite bakery in Phoenix! The amount of variety they have and help they provide are second to none. Vegan, gluten free, paleo, keto, normal options are a available and taste fantastic. I stumbled upon Europa Pastry and I’m so glad I did! The place is cozy and instantly welcoming—the smell of fresh baked goods hits you as soon as you walk in. An adorable, authentic bakery tucked away from the busy streets. This place seems to do it all on site and had a great selection of a variety products. While the store area is small, there is a lovely seating area at the front of the business. Would totally recommend!

We tried this bakery and we were not disappointed. The cashier said they are a Polish bakery. Lots of pastries and some breads. They had a fresh apple pie, which they said was not typical for the summer, as an order was cancelled. I look forward to going back in the fall to see what other pies they offer!

Excellent! Ordered some vegan cookies in advance for a wedding treat option and they were a big hit - even for non vegans! Very chewy and super tasty, even a couple days after picking them up. Would absolutely order again.

Stopped in today for the first time. Wonderful. The staff was very nice and helpful but most importantly, the thumbprint cookies were wonderful. The lemon curd was the the best I have ever had. Wish I had bought more and unfortunately the shop is closed on weekends. I will be back next week! Absolutely loved everything I bought and looking forward to trying more.

I stopped in to try a macaron before placing a large order online. I tried a “fresh” tiramisu macaron and it was AWFUL. The whole cookie was crunchy, there was a huge gap between the top of the shell and the rest of the crunchy inner cookie, and the filling oozed out and made a mess. I’ve heard great things about their gluten free cookies but I was seriously disappointed by their macarons. Two stars instead of one because the woman at the counter was really nice.

I was in the area and between appointments last Monday when I wandered in to this store, thinking I might grab something sweet. Once inside I was going to buy a single bite sized cookie until the woman behind the counter said it was 2.99, plus tax. I told her (nicely, with a smile) that I would pass as I thought it was a bit high for one little cookie, and started to leave the store. I want to be clear that I had not touched the cookie as she still had it in her tongs inside the case. She immediately became verbally aggressive, and demanded to know if I had ever had French macaroons. In spite of that being none of her business, I said I had, in Paris. I then left the store. Money is not a concern to me but principle is and I thought the price was ridiculous for such a small cookie. What happened next was surreal. I was walking down the lane, when I heard someone yelling behind me. The woman had actually exited the store and was following me down the street, yelling at me to take the cookie, "on her". I had to tell her several times I didn't want it in order to get her to back off. I hardly looked like a street person in need of a handout, dressed in heels, skinny jeans, a cashmere sweater with quality jewellery and clutch. So to say I was taken aback at her rude, aggressive and bizarre behaviour is an understatement. Needless to say I won't be going back in there again. My hubby and I had a good chuckle later but I thought I should warn others. If this woman reacts like this over a single cookie can you imagine what she would do if you had a complaint about a larger purchase??? Response to Owner's Reply Nice try but its not going to fly, Abby. At no time while I was in the store did you say that you always offer the first macaroon free of charge. I think you were angry that I told you your merchandise was overpriced and you followed me down the street hoping to embarrass me by causing a public scene. Too bad for you. This Safeway is pretty convenient and I shop here kinda often.The store seems clean most of the time and I can usually find what I need, plus the bakery and deli sections are good for quick stuff.Staff is generally friendly. Checkout lines can be a pain sometimes, especially after work, feels like it takes longer than it should. But overall, it’s a decent grocery spot for the area.

Curbside ordering makes things so much easier when you just had surgery and you don’t feel like going in and getting a weeks worth of groceries. They will bring it out for you with any pick up order, straight to your trunk. No getting out of your vehicle for anything. A+ services from an A+ grocery store. Products and selection is always satisfactory.

This store is great. The employees keep it clean, they help when I need them, things are generally well kept. Whoever runs the promotions and pricing at corporate, though, should have to run the pricing fixes all day for the rest of their lives. 50% of the time the promo doesn't ring in, or pricing comes up wrong. 80% of the time, the price is some internet/physical coupon, that I am convinced exists only in the mind of the mentally unwell running these systems. Why are we trying to get one over on customers for $2? Did I get hired on the audit team and no one told me? If not, why am I checking my receipt every time I leave to make sure I am not paying $12 for some apples because the sale didn't ring up, and you hid an "ea" in print for amoebas? The pricing is already set higher than buying and delivery from Amazon. I literally go to the Walgreens, across the street, to avoid Safeway requiring my blood for $1 off a box of cereal. While I'm piling on corporate, whoever sets the staffing hours allowance is a chode. Peak hours, you will have lines wrapping down aisles. Non-peak you might get 6 deep in line. Idk what your numbers look like to make these decisions, but there are several layers of middle management that must be trying to squeeze their floor workers for every ounce of KPIs. They could likewise not be employed, and not a soul in the world would be worse off.

May 16 2025, butcher was still a jerk today. I hate this place! Thur March 27th 2025 Today I went in for some meat that was on sale. There was none of it out at the time so I went to the butcher and I asked if he had it. He was wearing two masks and between the extreme muffled words coming out of his mouth, all the fans running in the butcher area and with us being separated by 6 to 8 ft, he said something that was unintelligible. He was actually walking away from me and pointing somewhere as he was walking. Expecting slight persecution and a dirty look, I asked him to repeat it because I didn't know what he said. He may or may not have been annoyed but it sure came across that way. He did repeat himself and I understood it to be that the meat was over there and it wasn't cut yet. Now if you've been around butchers all your life you know that when they tell you something's not cut yet and they don't offer to cut it for you that means it's not cut yet go away. He did not say yes I have it over there I'll cut it hold on, he did not have any indications that he was going to do something nice for me He just told me where it was and walked away. And as expected, it came with a little bit of attitude. Being that I've been in sales, customer service, and management for over 30 years, I know some people simply hate their jobs, some people like their jobs and a terrible at customer service and some people are just angry all the time. Being that this guy had two masks on, I couldn't tell if you was smiling, sticking his tongue out on me, grinning his teeth while speaking to me but I could read his eyes and that told me everything. It doesn't really matter because Safeway and management never seem to read any of these. They never respond. They never apologize. They never follow up so, as far as I am concerned, this safeway for over 30 years still sucks. Sunday, May 28th 2023 After living in this neighborhood close bby for a little over 30 years, today's experience pretty much put the last nail in the coffin. I simply went to get some of the corn that was on sale. There was no corn out just husks everywhere. I went to the bakery and ask the nice young lady if she could page somebody in produce. She did. I waited exactly 10 minutes and then went to customer service. I told them I had somebody page but nobody showed up so he paged somebody. I walked back and stood there for exactly 15 min. The nice lady in the bakery noticed I was still standing there so she came up to me and said show running back and see if somebody can come out. Moments later she said nobody was there. She asked what I was looking for and I told her about the corn. She said hold on and went back there and look for it and came back out and told me she could not find it. At least someone in the bakery was nice enough to acknowledge my existence. I walk to the store up and down the aisles looking for a manager to let them know how nice she was but I couldn't even find a manager to give a compliment let alone a complaint. Their prices are higher than Frys and their customer service sucks. Old review update: Ever since they installed the self-checkouts, it's much better. If you can't go through self check up then the lines can get pretty long but that's mostly due to people waiting till everything is scanned and then start looking for their debit card or cash. 30 second to 1 minute delay for person that is inconsiderate in that manner adds up to 5 minutes when you're standing at the back of the line. Most everyday I get is just a handful so I'm very happy with this I'll check out. Old review: We've been shopping center since they opened but we don't visit that much anymore because they never seem to have enough lines open. Just running to the store for milk can be a 20-minute trip because you stand in line for a good 15 minutes. It's faster to drive down to Fry's that's 3 miles further down the road. Even if it takes as long, it's less frustrating. Nothing burns me up more than standing in a long line to give someone my money.

I bought some asparagus pre-packed with mushrooms and onions, and it was all the stems. There was no spears except for a couple on the very top to make it look like there was spares in the pack.. but there WERE NOT! Total rip off. I love Safeway great store . shame on the produce prices are high enough as it is

Went to this store earlier this week for the first time and I found most of their "sale" prices to be misleading. They have sale signs indicating markdown prices for the items but when you checkout, it's not ringing up as the same. Half of the items in my cart were supposed to be on sale but definitely rung up as regular price. I specifically paid attention to each sale tag to ensure I got the correct thing. Then my second issue was that the store was dirty, so not only do the store not honor their sale prices but they don't clean up either. The one good thing that I did like was that they sell alcohol other than wine so I could buy liquor and groceries in the same place. And since I ended up paying almost double of what I was expecting to pay, I needed the drink at checkout.

This is my first time ever complaining about a grocery store experience. I have NEVER experienced such rude and unprofessional behavior at Safeway as I did the evening of 5/21. The heavier girl with pink hair left us waiting for help to check out for 10 minutes with her back to us chatting and laughing with her coworkers after making eye contact with us. No one else needed help and I’ve never seen the store so dead at this time, she certainly was not busy. When she finally came over she was extremely rude, would not even look at us, and cut us off to go back to laughing with her coworkers, once again leaving the self check out completely unattended. I only shop the ad anyway because of Safeway’s high prices and low selection so I can assure you I am NEVER coming back after being so blatantly ignored by staff.

Got a quick late-lunch here. Convenient because it has free wifi, open restrooms (cleaned regularly), and there's a plug in the men's restroom for a quick cell phone charge or a plug just outside restrooms. Clean store, fully stocked. Get your membership card to enjoy the many discounts throughout the store. Enjoy the pics! 📸

It was good tonight when I went in the guy that cut my turkey and Swiss cheese for me at the deli with the long hair was very nice. The guy at the self checkout was helpful as well. Everything is too expensive though. This is a good location, probably my favorite now that im boycotting WM.

Your store manager is a sweet heart. Someone hit my car and he was promptly able to help me get it taken care of. You have helpful employees. You guys where blessed to have Mark and Mary on your team as well. They worked at my Safeway in Peoria like 10 years ago. Hard workers and friendly people. Please treat them good.

If you can eat baked goods and still have sugar live for me and get yourself some baked goods from Safeway doesn't really matter what it is they're always good they're always soft they're always sweet and delicious.

I went grocery shopping today 6/11/2025 around 1pm onwards and the staff there, in various sections of the store including the section with shampoos and such, were all so nice. Everyone was busy restocking things but were all in a good mood and friendly. One person on the floor went in back to see if he could find some yogurt for me that was not on the shelf and he was nice about it. One person at the checkout was willing to go and check a price question for me. It was such a pleasant experience. I enjoyed interacting with the staff. Thanks guys, you made my day better and hopefully I could put a smile on your face too!

Nice store, but there’s better places to go due to the location, which I know isn’t their fault. Just lots of druggies hanging around and not the best of areas. I couldn’t give you 5 stars though because your older gentleman that works there aka the “cart guy” who thinks he can walk through people and expects everybody to move out of his way. No respect for others. Why is this okay? Why should I shop somewhere and spend my money where your employees act like this?

I went in tonight 6/17/2025 @ 7:52pm. I just needed one item, the cashier Eli working in wine. Didn't even say a single word. He didn't tell me my total, gave him $20 bill he gives me $15 change and my coins fall through the side. I even said have a goodnight still no response. Maybe it was part of his Gothic image. Think the managers need to have a conversation with this kid. You work in customer service. What if you gave out the wrong change why you should count back just not give the customer the $$$. I work retail also and this was perhaps the worst customer experience ever.

Whoever made my country breakfast burrito at the very start of the day today is a magician. That was the best vegan burrito I’ve ever had in my life. I’m so blown away. Magnificent!

Nami offers the best vegan donuts and ice cream in Arizona! My son’s favorite item is the chocolate milkshake! Their chocolate cookies dough is absolutely delicious. You can eat it raw or baked. Their custom cakes are also beautiful and delicious. Everything is reasonably priced considering it’s all vegan and sometimes vegan items cost more.

I was craving ice cream but due to a dairy allergy, I’m quite limited. Stopped into Nami and WOW. They blew me away not only with the flavor but the customer service. - The tSoynami (fluffynutter’n) was 10/10. I don’t usually care for ice creams with coconut bases but this wasn’t noticeable at all and the textures and flavors of it all hit JUST right. - The oatmeal cream cookie was SO soft and delicious it just melted in my mouth. - The bagel was just really good lol same with the jam love a good ole bagel with jam.

I have not yet tried the donuts and bars that I purchased here but the ice cream.... Yum! Color me impressed. Vegan ice cream with FLAVOR! 🤔😮 Cute homie little atmosphere. Pleasant staff. If you're vegan but still desire & crave sweets like myself, give this place a shot.

Nami is hands down my favorite spot for breakfast. As a vegan, knowing everything here is 100% plant-based takes all the stress out of eating out. The Wing Ding Dang burrito is my absolute favorite. It’s huge, flavorful, and always hits the spot. The donuts and pastries are dangerously good, and the coffee is great too. Everyone who works here is kind, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The vibes are always chill and positive. We come here all the time, and it never disappoints.

Nami never disappoints. Great vibes and great vegan and some gluten free desserts. I love the tsoynami and the Yankee doodle is a favorite. If you like tea, the pricey pear tea is on point!

I love this place. If you're in Phoenix, this is a great boba place to stop at. They serve a variety of drinks: thai teas, sparklers (sparkling water with a flavor and boba), smoothies, coffees, ice cream... The shop is a decent size and connected to a restaurant that serves delicious authentic Vietnamese food. I live that Milk Run carries flavors like jackfruit and durian. They are very creative with their teas and overall it's a nice little experience. Their boba is always fresh and hand a great selection of popping boba. Good little bobba place to try if you're in the area!

I like this place! They have different sizes and their large is hella large. Hahah. I got the Frozen Stawberry Mint Limeade slush and my fiance got the Mango Berry slush. We both loved our drinks. They also have ice cream which we will be back to try. Cute vibe inside with places to sit if ya wana, our fav Pho place is right next door. And we did a Lil shopping at the market in the same place. This place was a great date place! I work at a boba shop back in Ireland, so it was interesting too see how they are run in the states. The shop was SO well kept and tidy, staff was very fast and friendly and helpful. Great menu choices. The AZ sunset drink looked beautiful although I wasn’t fond of the flavour, I was still impressed. I got two scoops of ice cream and the scoop sizes are really generous! Amazing atmosphere :)

I was in the store yesterday around 7:15pm and had one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a store. I was heading to check out there was 1 register open, but since I had 3 separate orders I opted to just go to the self checkout instead. The cashier proceeds to walk off to go do something else so I said, “I can just check myself out if she doesn’t want to check me out.” I don’t think this was necessarily the cashier’s intentions as my daughter told me she had in headphones so that might have been the reason for the mix up. As I walk toward the self checkout Deanna is basically trying to force me to go to a register instead of checking myself out. She kept making smart comments such as “I don’t allow big orders to go through self checkout” , etc. mind you I had maybe 20 items or so. She sat there across from me at a different self checkout and watched me the whole time I had to void an item off because I scanned it one too many times and she was right there to do that because she had been watching me the whole 2-3 transactions. I felt so awkward and truthfully if I hadn’t been shopping for other people I would’ve left and not spent a dime in such establishment. The only thing I can think of is that she was racially profiling me because I hadn’t been in that store for some time and we hadn’t had any other interactions prior to this one. I will be also contacting corporate Monday as this type of behavior is unacceptable and should not be tolerated nor she Deanna be allowed to represent the company if this is the type of nasty behavior she’s going to be exhibiting. My daughter was with me and sadly had to witness this mistreatment as well. My black and brown people beware that’s all I’m saying.

I’ve never seen so much moldy or bad fruit in a grocery store before. It’s was so disappointing and concerning. Bags of wilted grapes and containers of strawberries with mold. Always felt that they didn’t have very fresh produce over the past few months but this most recent experience was ridiculous.

If I can give no stars I would but for the lady in the front at customer service wat type of customer service do you have so today 4/15 so my daughter asked for help at the self checkout lane because we didn’t anyone else there to help and the way she looked her up and down and then turn around and walked away from her with no responds or anything just a nasty look how rude of her she know who she is please do better

Love this store. I came in specifically for the lasagna soup and it was there(they change soups daily so sometimes its not there)! I went to grab a sandwich and while she was making it, I looked down and saw these sad looking minis. 5.99? For what? Kinda shocked someone would even put this on display. I'll definitely pay more attention to the deli items that are pre made.

The selection is poor. Prices are high compared to other stores in the area. It’s a good location thats the only good quality.

I’ve been coming to this store faithfully for well over 5 years. It’s an excellent store that keeps its people. It’s very nice seeing the same people 3-4 times a week. Clean, stocked, and well maintained with an outstanding meat department. Today I met someone I hadn’t seen before named John. I was buying sake and he noticed and came over to speak with me. He saw what I had purchased and made an excellent recommendation which I quickly accepted. Just tried it and absolutely outstanding. He’s a true authority in spirits and I really appreciate him.

On Thursday, June 12th, I was shopping at this Safeway. I always have a great experience until today. The restrooms in front had been serviced and the one girl cleaning was fanning the floor. As I was asking the girl and another two staff came, if I could use the restroom or if they had another and explained why, they just started laughing at me and walked off. I am handicap and an older woman. It embarrassed and humiliated me.

This is what my pears looked like today when I picked up my order. Old, HEAVILY bruised and I wouldn't be surprised if the picker gets from the discards in the back. Or shocked if this is what was "available" on the fruit bin. I hate to post this because it is the first time I've found an unacceptable item in my order. With the exception of this item, my past orders have contained "edible" fresh fruit. I'm sadly disappointed that those employee(s) working the pick-up orders were deem those pears would be acceptable.

The service in the store is outstanding. Our cashier Wendy was super friendly and helped a lot with our purchases. If we could vote for employee of the month, our vote would go to Wendy! #EmployeeOfTheMonth

I love my local Safeway! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I love the bakery most even though I shouldnt!! Brookies are evil! Big shout out to customer service, I left my phone behind one day and got home absolutely panicking about it, thinking it was lost forever for sure. But they had it waiting for me and saved the day!!

I pick up on line orders for a third party and the ladies that work that department are rude to the highest levels. Sick of it. This past Friday I had a pickup and dealt with a young black women that probably seek other employment. She demanded, I mean demanded, " I need to see your id " sounded like cop. I corrected her the second time to say " may I see your id " . And she just shoves the cart of goods my way. No eye contact, no exchange of how are you?? Twice she shoved my cart towards me and vanished. Correct her. I shouldn't have to.

I lived in Arcadia and always went there because it was close to my house. They have good merchandise, but the staff isn't friendly to everyone. When I had to prove I was of legal age, they wouldn't let me buy anything because I didn't have a AZ driver's license. I showed them my passport, visa, and driver's license from my country, and they always treated me poorly.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place after he saw it being recommended on TikTok, and we were so glad we did! Even though we arrived an hour before closing, there was still a wide variety of pastries available, which was a pleasant surprise. He immediately went for the Coffee Croissant Donut and absolutely loved it. I opted for the Milk & Cereal King Cream Donut, which was equally amazing. I was worried it might be too sweet, but it struck the perfect balance, allowing me to enjoy half without feeling overwhelmed. We also picked up a strawberry croissant that looked divine; I haven’t tried it yet, but based on everything else, I’m sure it’ll be just as delicious. The service was exceptional—the gentleman at the register went above and beyond by helping us cut one of the donuts, even though it's not something they typically do. His kindness and helpfulness made the experience even better. Overall, this was a fantastic visit! The quality of the pastries and the excellent service have me excited to return and try more of their offerings. Highly recommend!

I was in pastry heaven!!! You walk in and see all the amazing pastries in glass windows. You’ll grab a tray and tongs and go through the rows of pastries and take whatever your heart desires. Then you’ll go and pay for what you grabbed. It’s such a great spot for coffee. The seating area is large enough and hey have outdoor seating as well. You can also order drinks such as coffees and teas. They also have savory food like sandwiches. Highly recommend for a quick bite. Oh and they even sell full cakes for any occasion. The cakes were moist and flavorful and their pastries were flaky and buttery. I grabbed a bunch of pastries to go and their packaging was so nice and professional. Everything was So delicious!!

Incredible variety ranging from croissants to fruit tarts. The location was beautiful,and,the staff was friendly. I also loved the self serve pastry bar.

I should have left this review long ago. Consistent high quality bakery, place where I can take my family where no one argues and everyone finds a good option. I also have ordered the catering for many kids birthdays for adult food which always is quickly eaten. It is very tasty and fresh. Personally I also love the cakes there, and the lightness but they are definitely not a heavy American cake more like angel food cake/tiramisu in lightness

This place is amazing. Top ingredients and fresh everything. Very, very clean and they pay attention to every detail very spotless. Beautiful place it’s equally in experience as it is amazing baked goods and lunch sandwiches. I feel like I was back in France. If you’re looking to try the “viral Dubai chocolate”, don’t get it from here. I bought it from Mr Sweets after seeing a girl’s TikTok video reviewing it. Unfortunately, my chocolate bar looked nothing like the one in her video. The filling looked completely different, there wasn’t much of it, and no crunch, and tbh just looked sloppy. She posted her video one week ago so it appears like the quality is not consistent and for $14 a chocolate bar, I would hope that it would be. I also put in the order last Friday, July 26 and it wasn’t ready until today, Tuesday July 30. Honestly, it seems like they just slapped something together quickly even though I ordered in advance. Waste of $28.

I work for a local food distributor and we order their pastries by the truck load! The baklava is second to none! Always fresh and always tasty! If you love baklava, you have to stop in try all their treats! The ice cream is heavenly. If you’ve never had baklava, what are you doing with your life? Stop in today!

The Dubai candy bar was good last year but this year they made some changes. It's just not good anymore. Cheap tasting chocolate and less filling. Less sweet.

I have to say we really felt cheated by this place. I’m surprised more people haven’t realize how overly priced they are. This ONE tray which you can see we had taken 3 pieces out was practically empty and we were charged $35! They advertise like they charge by the pound but there is no way this is a 2lb tray! We are now sorry that we didn’t check the package before we left. She never weighed it so how did she know how many lbs there were. She just flat rat charged us for a tray that was bare yet the sign says by lb. Not worth the hour drive just to get cheated.

The Dubai chocolate bar was good for the past year until they changed it recently. Some pros & cons: it's now $20 ($5 more than before even though the size stayed the same), doesn't taste as good (less chocolate flavor), & is shaped more neatly. They also sell a large size now, which is $30 & is about double the size of the $20 one. The chocolate shell is thin. I know you're gonna be tempted to, but do not waste your money trying their new Dubai choc in a cup. There were a lot of strawberries, but they do not keep well &, since the choc doesn't have a good flavor, the whole thing tastes off & is not worth $15. Really hoping they improve these things, but I had a feeling they'd get greedy over time & sacrifice the original taste, that brought us in from different parts of the valley, so they can maximize their profit & minimize their cost. Sad to see that time come.

Amazing Middle Eastern suites here in Phoenix arizona. This place is just as good as anywhere in Southern California or michigan. The pastries are always fresh and are consistently delicious. They have a huge assortment, for instance they have four or five different types of knafeh. Today we tried new stuff that we don't normally order and it was once again absolutely delicious. I recommend this place for everyone.

My first visit to Knead Lov and it’s definitely not my last! This restaurant serves up a ton of gluten free food and pastries. It’s a perfect spot to meet up with a friend for coffee. Try the gluten free cinnamon roll! It’s the best I’ve ever had!!!

This my favorite Gluten-Free restaurant in Phoenix. The owners and chefs at Knead Luv Bakery are always creating new delights and I happened to stumble in at the right time today and saw a lovely addition they have for Mother’s Day weekend - Baklava Cheesecake. Wow! Fresh gf baklava. What??? What a delicious surprise! I had to have it! The Baklava Cheesecake with flaky layers of phyllo layered with pistachios, walnuts, and cinnamon paired with creamy and tangy cheesecake is a rich and lovely blend of favors. I’ve been coming for years. The convenient North Scottsdale location has indoor and outdoor seating perfect for a coffee date with the girls or weekend lunch with my hubby. They’ve been dialing in their service. It’s friendly and helpful but can be on the slow side when they are busy. But it’s worth the wait.

100% gluten-free delish pastries, breakfast, and lunch. Great coffees-try a tropical iced latte! Everything and everyone are so great and a chill place to meet up with friends and family or visit solo.

I have been looking for a good gluten free bakery. I read a lot about their cinnamon rolls so I was really excited to give them a try…. It did taste good, but I was a little disappointed by the size given the fact that it’s $10. Not sure if I would pay that again, but might go back to try some of their other pastries.

Delish! Wonderful gluten-free safe baked yummies. Cinnamon roll was to die for! We also got some pumpkin bread, lemon cookies, carrot cake, and key lime pie. You can freeze most things! We will be back!!!

I love the different gluten free pastries they have here, they’re all delicious, especially the cinnamon rolls. My wife has celiacs and has had no issues. They have a few regulars like the donuts and cinnamon rolls. They rotate some other baked goods so sometimes you get a surprise. The employees have always been nice and helpful the many times I’ve been here. Even putting aside things for me when I call to pick up for a later time. It would be nice if they labeled the baked goods with the price to make things quicker. Otherwise you just ask. They are a little bit on the higher end, price wise but for gluten free is amazing.

I special ordered a birthday cake for my good friend who is dairy free and celiac. I ordered a Chantilly berry cake that was gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free. The owner is absolutely lovely and gave me so many options. We had the cake made with coconut sugar and coconut whipped cream. The cake looked beautiful and it tasted divine!!! Unlike many other GF cakes I’ve tried at other places, the cake was moist and decadent but also light! THE MOST AMAZING CAKE!!! My friend was so happy she was able to eat cake that met her dietary restrictions and I’m so happy to have found KneadLuv! Thank you for making such a beautiful and healthy cake!!! We will definitely be ordering all the cakes from KneadLuv from now on!

Proof Artisan Bread, where carbs are a religion and I am a devout follower. That Pain Au Chocolat though, it's the holy grail of pastries. And, don't even get me started on their cheddar jalapeno sourdough, it's the epitome of perfection. Oh, and their vanilla latte? Heaven in a cup. While they do sell some coffee options are limited. Do not come with expectations this is a coffee shop in any way. The MVP is the bread here. If you come hungry they have a great lunch option of their sourdough pizza, a drink and a chocolate cookie…which by the way is amazing! I do recommend taking it to go as there is very limited seating. Service was great, vibrant chill, but parking can be a bit rough depending on time of day.

The cookies here are worth the calories!🤯 Honestly, their cookies was one of if not the best cookie I've ever had in my life! The pizza is okay but if fresh instead of reheated would probably be off the charts! Their bread is phenomenal too!

What an awesome find! Looking forward to trying your rye flour. The Lemon curd Danish, the Boston cream croissant, and sourdough bread were all instant favorites! Everything we had was delicious. And the person behind the counter was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. Great store. I will be back!

I absolutely love this little local bakery. They have the best sourdough bread and chocolate chip cookies. The gal at the front is always so friendly and will usually offer a bit of something extra that they might have too much of for the day. Definitely come in and get something freshly baked!

This place has a limited selection. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant. It was not heated long enough. The pastry was warm but the meat and cheese were cold. The table we sat down at was not clean. There were hardly any non-coffee drinks available for purchase. Maybe the breads are great, but this is most definitely not a spot to go to for a satisfying meal and drink.

The workers are always super nice and helpful when I come in to grab goodies. Their pizza is pretty tasty too. I definitely recommend you to check them out if you’re looking for freshly baked goods!

I've been getting sour dough bread here since beginning they came to this location, for a long time something is different thought it was just me but husband even made a comment tonight doesn't tastes like sourdough bread anymore something has changed. Really sad you guys aren't the same. Feel like getting my money back spending so much money it was so bad but receipt is gone. Left a good tip thinking it would be good but never coming back. Many other places that have the real thing.

We needed a cake with only a few days notice after our other bakery choice fell through. They were able to squeeze us in for a German chocolate cake and seemed happy to take our order. They were friendly over the phone and answered all my questions and were so reasonably priced for the product they delivered. It was a huge hit and my father in law was so happy. The cake was beautiful and delicious. I will be utilizing this bakery again and again! Thanks for putting out a quality product and for having friendly employees.

I got my wedding cake from the Velvet Buttercream and my feelings on it are mixed. Pros: it was BEAUTIFUL. They nailed it. Although the color was a little more beige than I requested (I wanted pure white), I didn’t even care because it was so beautifully done and everything else was exactly as I wanted. Cons: it didn’t taste good, the cake itself was dry. Also, it was less sweet than the sample we tried before committing to this company. Overall, despite how beautiful it was, i wouldn’t go here again just because at the end of the day, a beautiful cake doesn’t mean much if it doesn’t taste good. I could probably get over the fact that it wasn’t as sweet as the sample, but I can’t get over a dry cake.

The first experience with this shop was when my coworker and I needed a last minute cake for our bosses birthday. At first they were suspicious of us - my male coworker giving them a credit card with my (a female name) on it over the phone (I was in a meeting when he called so couldnt help), but they accepted and we are so glad we didnt just go somewhere else. The German chocolate cake we got was one of the best cakes any of us had ever tasted. We went back this month for cupcakes for another coworker birthday and got the black and gold cupcakes and the cookie monster cupcakes. We are already planning another order for the next team event. This place is top-notch and very reasonably priced. Definitely becoming regulars here!

I walked into this place and the smell was absolutely amazing. I bought a cream pan and a raisin loaf the total was like $9 which I felt was very reasonable. They were both delicious and fresh! I will definitely be coming back here and everyone should check it out!

Small bakery but the goods are delicious and very Japanese. The goods are not overloaded with sweetness but have a delicate flavor. I’d consider catering a cake for my next special event.

Very low-key Japanese bakery. I had a custard filled pan that was so delicious. The bread was so light and the custard was not too sweet. I am a huge fan after one visit, and look forward to going again.

The is probably the best bakery I have been to in Arizona. Their cake is light and flavorful and frosting delicate and airy, but still sweet. Their food options aside from cake are equally delicious and I recommend you try everything they offer.

I was in need of a cake and some mini tarts/pastries for a tea party themed bridal shower. I came across Sugar and Lace bakery and Vanessa was so sweet and helpful from the very start. She is very responsive via text, provided options with photos and pricing, and then whipped everything up for pick up that same week. I wanted a cake with simple floral designs and she suggested doing dried edible flowers. It came out so stunning and was so perfect for the party theme. I chose a lemon cake with raspberry filling, and wow was it amazing! Sometimes you get a beautiful cake that lacks a bit in taste, but she absolutely delivered on both taste and aesthetics. It was light, moist, the perfect sweet and tart combo. I am someone who usually eats the cake and leaves the frosting but not this time. It was so good - light, soft and not at all overly sweet. The little pastries she suggested were all delicious too (and so cute). We did a combination of little tart bites- lemon, chocolate mousse, cheesecake, fresh fruit, a raspberry mousse and some petite fours. They came out beautiful and each bite was so good. Highly recommend Sugar and Lace for any of your sweets needs! It will certainly be my go to for any future bakery items, thank you Vanessa!

The last 4 cakes I’ve needed, Vanessa has provided!! They are always gorgeous cakes and so much fun to see, but I LOVE the endless compliments I get once everyone takes a bite!! Truly delicious! Always a lovely experience getting to order from Sugar and Lace. Kind, professional, and always above and beyond!

Update: 4/10/25 The owner texted me calling me a liar that “You may not admit it to me, but it’s not me you have to worry about if you believe in God, I’d worry about that”. To use God on this manner is deplorable and not what faith is supposed to be. Again, very disappointing. Very bad experience. (Requested a 8” cake) Here were the instructions and a singular photo as an example for a quote per her request. Half German chocolate, chocolate cream frosting. Half lemon with raspberry filling and your cream cheese frosting. Slanted, not straight down the middle. Frosting no more than 1/4 in. Edible flowers pressed in and some sitting on the cake too. Long story short. She used that singular picture as an example to go off of. Ignored the instructions provided in text and her form that she asked I filled out, along with the original example picture and another picture for an example. She only used the first picture sent as a reference. Then said I was lying when I said there was no German chocolate filling. It’s a shame. Great flavors. When we tried to get a wedding cake from her a couple years ago we chose her because her flavors are great. Miscommunications and misunderstandings happen. There were mistakes on both ends, I owned mine (sending a picture that didn’t accurately, in totality, depict what I wanted), but she made excuses and said I was lying. Unacceptable and disappointing.

Love the pizzas, cream puffs, macaroons, Oreo pie, carrot cake, brownies, you name it, Vanessa will bake it. Love her! Totally appreciate our local food network winning baker! Very well priced, despite the love she puts in her craft!

We got graduation cupcakes and they turned out both beautiful and delicious! I showed her pictures of cupcakes I liked and gave her colors/flavors, and she did the rest to create these which were exactly what I had hoped for.

Ordered a custom cake with not a lot of notice for my husband’s birthday and Vanessa did a fantastic job. We ordered a red velvet layer cake with a combination of cream cheese and buttercream frosting. The entire cake was gone after his dinner party! Everyone commented on how light and fluffy the cake and frosting were. Usually red velvet cakes can be pretty dense and excessively sweet, but this was different than anything we had ever tasted. It was very easy to get down (not sure if that is good or bad lol) but it was absolutely heavenly. The cake was decorated so beautifully too. I asked for something “golfy” and Vanessa made an adorable scene including a little golf cart, water, greens, and a sand trap! The cake was absolutely stunning. The customer service was also spot on with education on how to prepare the cake to be served and not keeping it in the car while running errands due to the AZ heat at the time (mid September). We will definitely be ordering from her in the future. I like that she also has options for dairy free and sugar free products as well. Highly recommend if you like great cakes and sweets.
