Chef Deb is amazing! She’s so funny and simply the sweetest. I’ve taken class here a couple of times and she is by far my favorite chef to work with. She makes it simple and easy to follow and she makes the class fun! We hope to take more classes with her soon!

Chef Avenly Galardi at Sur La Table is simply amazing! She guided us step by step through the process of making macarons, sharing her expertise with such clarity and enthusiasm. What could have been intimidating turned into such a fun and enjoyable experience. Her knowledge, patience, and passion for teaching made the class outstanding. We left not only with delicious macarons but also with confidence and great memories. Highly recommend taking her class, it was an unforgettable experience!

Booked a last minute cooking class learning Latin cuisine bites, which were all tasty and savory! The whole experience was exciting and fun. It was Chef Avenly first solo class and she was wonderful. Truly enjoyed all the tips and tricks of a chef she gave and the great energy she brought into the class. Had such a great time that I went ahead to book another class! I look forward to learning more and bringing friends to enjoy in on this great experience!

I had such a wonderful experience in the cooking class with Chef Lanie and Paige! They were both so kind, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the class. They made the whole experience fun, engaging, and easy to follow. I left feeling more confident in my cooking skills and can’t wait to try what I learned at home. Highly recommend!

First experience with a in person cooking class. Chef Deb was very welcoming and patient with the class. A quick knife skills lesson and away we went. Paella, dates wrapped and stuffed, sautéed shrimp and olive oil ice cream made up our “Savoring Spain” menu. It was a great experience and the food was amazing. Thanks Chef Deb

Chef Deb was amazing !!! Took the family style Mexican food class, even made fresh tortillas. The marinade and her twist to everything was excellent. Get the tortilla warmers, trust me.

Our leader was informative and kind.my mother and I came for a class on our vacation! We learned new things about cooking with fresh produce and techniques. We always have a good laugh at each other! There was enough people in the class we still felt safe.

I received a gift certificate from my kids for $195. I tried to book it online but it would not take it. Apparently it was booked but there was no email confirmation of any sort. Now they won't honor the gift certificate at all. No confirmation. No kindness. Archaic system. Buyer beware. There are so many other options for culinary classes. Go elsewhere.

Attended a gourmet couples cooking class. The chef was personable and made it really fun. Although you only make one item, it was a nice evening. The food was delicious and the store had some unique items.

My husband and I had a great time! Chef Lisa was fun and informative. The end result was a good meal and new recipes to take home!

Love Sweet Basil! Great stop for all your cooking needs at a great price. The cooking classes are awesome as well as the staff! Definitely going back!
Deb C — Google review
We recently did one of the classes, cheese making, and it was phenomenal. Jan D’atri was such a joy to work with. At the time we didn’t know she was pretty famous for cooking and teaching, afterwards we told people about the class and the teacher and they were blown away that it was Jan. Couldn’t recommend a class with her more than enough. We’ll definitely go back, the kitchen setup was excellent and the involvement of the class was perfect.

I came to Sweet Basil for a cooking class with Chef Lisa Brisch and it was AMAZING!!! Chef Lisa walks you through each recipe and shows techniques, tools, and tips to make the dish. Then, we're off! We each picked a dish to make and Chef Lisa and her assistant helped us each step of the way. Within minutes the aromas filled the air making your stomach growl knowing the deliciousness that awaits! At the end we got to enjoy every dish that we made as a group. I love the hands on aspect and the ability to learn some new techniques. Plus most of the kitchen tools were available right there in the store. It was very fun and absolutely delicious! I would HIGHLY recommend a class with Chef Lisa! You won't be disappointed! In fact, you'll feel like an Iron Chef yourself! Look out Bobby Flay! 😁

Brunch restaurant
Arcadia Farms Cafe is a charming and cozy eatery located in downtown Scottsdale, offering a delightful array of French-inspired cuisine in a casual and welcoming atmosphere. Established in 1990, this popular spot serves breakfast staples, organic New American dishes, and wine in a stylishly rustic space. Known for its scratch-made menu options featuring wholesome, natural, organic, and local ingredients, the cafe has recently moved to a slightly bigger location across the street.
A charming French themed restaurant. My husband and I decided to try it out because it was walking distance from our hotel. It’s on the pricey side but the quality of the food is great. We shared the Smoked and Fresh Salmon hash and the picture attached is a 1/2 portion so you can see it’s very generous. The server was very nice and it had a cozy welcoming atmosphere. Great place to go for a nicer brunch or dinner.
Christina M — Google review
Very cosy nice place to have a breakfast/brunch in. Atmosphere is relaxing and service very friendly. Dishes are original, tasty but I would prefer less onion driven plates.
Zu A — Google review
Food was very good, but for a first time visit, I was a bit underwhelmed possibly because of the odd place we sat. The seating geometry is tight inside and it can be very loud if you’re seated near a larger table. This is sort of unavoidable since they have large tables (seat 8-10) in each room. We wanted a cozy, romantic spot…but where we sat inside next to a group of 4 celebrating a birthday wasn’t optimal for us, especially with lots of other free tables. I think outside patio in front is best for ambience. Server was very nice and explained things well. Food was very good. We won’t go back for dinner, but maybe a casual lunch or brunch which is what I think it’s suited for as they pre-set tables and are not about details.
Barbara R — Google review
Very cute and esthetic cozy spot. Definitely a good brunch place to visit with the girls. We were seated promptly. I had coffee paired with a pecan cinnamon roll. It was just sweet enough. I also tried the ham crepe which was smothered in a white sauce. The crepe had a bit of a crunch, which was perfect. Id recommend this place for brunch 😋
Jessica R — Google review
Beautiful interior and patio seating, although it got loud with a large group seated next to us. The food was delicious, French inspired, with pastries too!
Sharon L — Google review
We had an excellent brunch this morning and so grateful for Penny’s kindness and attention to detail! Thank you!
Avoline K — Google review
A lovely local place with French inspired cuisine that has been in old town Scottsdale for some time. They used to have a really nice outdoor patio when they were located on the other side of the street but that is now another restaurant (and redone). We thought the food was above average but not wow. It is a great place to take people for get togethers.
Rob J — Google review
We tried this place for restaurant week in Scottsdale. For this event, it’s a set menu for $55 each. There was plenty of parking outside, bathrooms are outside of the building which are hidden from public but not inside the restaurant. The inside is set up like a house with different rooms. Though the floor is concrete not wood. The food and service was excellent. Our server was very courteous and attentive. We started with only one piece of delicious bread (I wanted more it was so good). We had a choice of five to six appetizers and chose the burrata and the brie and apple slices. For dinner, I got the scallops in wine and butter sauce. I received about 7 huge scallops. My wife got a beef bourguignon with mashed potatoes, and onion wheels. It came in a nice red wine sauce. For dessert, we were treated with the chocolate mousse and crème brûlée. It was a delicious meal. Make sure to get on their mail list because they offer specials for birthdays.

Event venue
Marcellino Ristorante is a charming Italian restaurant located in Old Town Scottsdale, run by the husband-and-wife team of Marcellino and Sima. Chef Marcellino, originally from Italy's Campania region, brings his expertise to the menu which features authentic Italian dishes. The restaurant offers various dining areas including a private dining space and a romantic cove.
Went for a date night and had an excellent time. From the friendly staff to the great live music, the place was a hit. Our dinners were superb as we argued over whose food was better, each not wanting to concede our mouthwatering dishes of pork(me) and chicken(her). We weren't feeling noodles tonight but will definitely go back to try . We were feeling the apple dessert with ice cream and it was just right to split. 10 out of 10!
William S — Google review
Marcelino’s patio is really attractive, and I especially like that it’s below street level shielding it from car noise. Our friends loved their cocktails, and we enjoyed the selection of Italian wines - there’s enough variety for all budgets. Our server was efficient and attentive, and we were never left wanting. The only negative of all of our dishes was the mussels in a tomato-based sauce. The sauce was quite tasteless and definitely not at all spicy.
Mickey J — Google review
We just celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary here. Originally we had planned to go elsewhere, but changed our minds after having drinks at Marcellino's bar the night before. So glad we did! This is the absolute best restaurant at which I've eaten! Anywhere! Everything was perfect: our delicious entrees, the wine, the service, the decor, the lighting, the live music (with a fabulous singer), the beautiful dessert -- even the simple salad we ordered. It's obvious that the owner, chef, and staff pay attention to EVERY little detail. I wish that we lived in Scottsdale so that we could dine here more often!
Anita B — Google review
My husband and I went tonight to celebrate our anniversary and cannot wait to go back again! We sat in the chef's cove private alcove and experienced the 5 course meal that accommodated our every want and need. The service was impeccable- friendly, thorough and professional. The food was AMAZING! The flavors extremely well blended, with a great variety and we felt like we were back in Italy! We over ate- but happily! Compliments to the chef- and the entire staff for making our evening memorable!
Amy B — Google review
My wife and I ate at this outstanding Italian restaurant recently and it did not disappoint. We sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the chef/owner and his wife. They have been in business over 20 years and serve a variety of authentic made from scratch pastas and other dishes. It was truly a memorable night. We liked the food and atmosphere so much we made another reservation to come back on Saturday night to hear live music (the owner's wife was a professional singer) but unfortunately our plans changed and we missed the experience. It is definitely on our list to return to next time we are in Scottsdale.
M P — Google review
We tried this restaurant in old town Scottsdale by the canal. The setting is beautiful with the lights, and the weather was great on the patio (in May) after 7pm. Expect to pay a decent amount. The quality of the food is good. Portion size varied. My wife had a seafood dish that was a special with lobster. It was probably the best (and biggest) dish. The pasta dishes we tried were very tasty, and adequate. The veal and chicken dishes were pretty small, so if you order that don't come hungry. The mule in spring drink was refreshing, though my wife's espresso martini was really tasty.
Jeff W — Google review
Everything about this restaurant is amazing! The food, the service and the staff. There’s a reason they are number 1. Even made me a special card to give my girlfriend.
Dillon T — Google review
Truly 5 stars restaurant and a must try if you enjoy fine Italian cuisine Service was friendly from the start with great attention to details. The pasta specials sounded so delicious but I went with the amazing lamb chops - which were cooked to perfection. I don’t think you go wrong with any dish in this place but the gelato is the best way to end a perfect meal Do yourself a favor and visit Macellino

The Canal Club, located within The Scott Resort & Spa, offers an elevated Cuban-inspired American dining experience with a chic vintage style. The restaurant hosts various events such as the Bar Cart Series, Rum Society, and Angel's Share Social Club, featuring tastings and pairings of different spirits. With its 1930s Havana decor and Cuban-inspired cuisine and drinks, The Canal Club exudes an elegant atmosphere. Guests can enjoy signature cocktails like the Salt River Society while taking in the vibrant ambiance.
A piece of Havana in the desert. This is a fun and upbeat venue to take friends, family, or business contacts for a relaxed conversation and dinner. That bar serves up rum-based cocktails that are particular suited for conversations. The food is very well prepared, with attention to detail. Every single item in our orders were flavorful, delicious, and cooked to perfection.
Joacim M — Google review
The restaurant delivers on all fronts. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right level of energy. The food was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented, with portions that felt satisfying. Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Overall, a great spot for both casual dinners and special nights out.
Paul H — Google review
We tried the Canal Club for my sister’s birthday dinner, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. For a Saturday night, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which already felt a bit odd, and the lack of music made the atmosphere uncomfortably quiet. Service was slow despite the emptiness, and the food lacked consistency in flavor across the dishes. We even had to send a drink back because it was bland. While the décor throughout the hotel and restaurant is beautiful, the overall experience left us disappointed, and I’m not sure I’d return.
Jess — Google review
I came here for brunch and was surprised at how quiet the restaurant was but I also came on a Monday. I was quickly seated and water was brought to me right away. I kept it simple with a mimosa for my drink and tried the breakfast pizza as my meal. This pizza was packed with a lot of flavor! Fresh ingredients and everything went well together. My server was Jade, who was very friendly and gave so many tips on places to explore in Scottsdale.
Melissa M — Google review
A charming, stylish café nestled inside The Scott Resort & Spa. I had the pulled chicken torta and a Spanish latte—both were delicious! The latte was especially perfect. Highly recommend staying here and savoring the food.
Sumi A — Google review
Canal Club inside The Scott is a cute little bar and restaurant with a great ambiance and ample lounge seating to enjoy cocktails and food. The veggie flatbread/pizza and queso was good for an early snack/dinner. The breakfast options are delicious! I had the fruit and granola bowl one day, and the smoked salmon toast another. Both were EXCELLENT and although expensive, the portion sizes are very large. The cold brew coffee isn’t the best, but got the job done. Cocktails are all delicious. I particularly loved the cucumber cooler (and added vodka). The wait staff was great. Particularly liked Zack’s approachable personality.
Victoria K — Google review
Beautiful venue with impressive selection of menu items. Brunch is absolutely delicious! The restaurant and outdoor patio dining areas seem to take you back in time as its designed to do. Staff is professional, accommodating and prompt. Well worth the stop.
Carlee B — Google review
We went here for dinner and ordered a couple of simple items to share. The food was good and fresh. The service was great- staff were nice & friendly. This restaurant and the lobby area were really beautiful. I would really like to go back for brunch or during the day.

Romanelli's Italian Deli is a charming, family-owned establishment in Phoenix that has been serving up classic Italian deli fare for over 30 years. The menu boasts an array of mouthwatering options, including the iconic Italian Stallion sandwich and the delectable Robert's Special. In addition to their savory offerings, the deli also features a tempting selection of pastries and imported Italian products.
On the recommendation of many, I finally visited this place while working nearby. Absolutely fantastic! This is your go-to spot for specialty Italian grocery items, plus an incredible selection of desserts, sandwiches, hot dishes, and more! The staff was very friendly, and we arrived early to beat the lunch rush. I wish they offered half-subs, as the sandwiches are huge—split one unless you're really hungry! Note: Bring cash to avoid a 4% card processing fee. Excited to return and try more!
Erin K — Google review
My wife told me about this spot that she's driven by and wanted to check it out.. This place was amazing! Loved everything about it. Lol we ended up coming here 3 times in the same week. The food is so good and the pastries are top notch. Can't wait to go back and try a different sandwich

This is the best Italian Deli and store in town. Great customer service and excellent food. Pasta, hot/cold subs, salads, and desserts. Deli meats and cheeses to go as well as pizzas and tins of Lasagna, Spaghetti, and ziti. Not to mention the excellent selection of imported seasonings, sauces, pastas and more. I had George's Special sub, excellent!
Tim A — Google review
Great local old school import market with awesome deli and lots of great product in market. Friendly staff very attentive to all details. Open seating with counter service from deli hot and cold sandwiches, amazing looking desserts. Food was hot and tasted great. Worth the stop and coming back
Dave B — Google review
In our ongoing search for hidden gems serving great food, we discovered Romanelli's, an unassuming Italian deli, bakery, and grocery store that's been serving the Valley for over 50 years. Despite driving past it countless times, we had no idea what we were missing. With a 4.8-star rating and over 3,300 Google reviews, Romanelli’s lives up to the hype. Many of their items are made from scratch in-house, and it shows. The guys ordered subs, while I chose the lasagna dinner. As someone who makes lasagna regularly, I was blown away. The layers were packed with rich, complex flavors, and the portion was so generous I had plenty left over. We couldn’t resist trying several desserts: Tiramisu, Key Lime Pie, a cream puff, and Almond Biscotti—all were top-notch. We even had a great chat with the owner, who proudly told us, “Italian food made by real Italians.” If you're craving authentic Italian fare with heart and history, Romanelli’s is a must-visit.

I always thought it was just a store 😂 silly me 😂 its a store , deli , bakery and restaurant all together ❤️😎 its a fun and relaxed environment here and the staff are soo friendly and helpful ❤️❤️❤️ we got the hot sandwiches which were delicious 😋 there are soo many desserts to choose from that i got a box full 😂❤️ there are specialty Italian items through the store part to buy and sooo many cool pasta shapes to make any meal fun 😎

This spacious Italian supermarket offers a wide selection of authentic Italian products, including imported goods, pasta, sauces, bread, pastries, and cookies. They also serve delicious sandwiches, with the chicken parm sandwich being a standout. While the parking lot is a bit small, the store’s interior is roomy, with seating available in the middle for dining. Prices are reasonable, and service is quick, though it’s recommended to bring cash as they charge an extra dollar for credit card transactions

Been coming here for over 35 years. Fantastic sandwiches. Currently, I drive all the way from Surprise for a George's Special. Delicious. Family owned, some of the same people working here since I was a kid. Very welcoming. Worth supporting. Come. Eat.

Baiz Market is a large Middle Eastern market with two locations in Phoenix and Mesa. It offers specialty produce, fresh meats, and international brands. The market also features a halal butcher, bakery, and an informal counter-serve dining area serving authentic Middle Eastern fare like shawarma, falafel, and Mediterranean pies. Inside the aisles are packed with spices, olive oils, pita bread, produce, meats as well as rose water, fig jam, and halawa.
Came here with my fiance and it's Arabic grocery store, it has a small section of vegetable. It's a good size of grocery store and they also have a place they make food just in case if you just want something quick to grab to go.

if u want fresh Halal meat.. this is the place to go. It's taste so much better than other stores meat. You can taste the difference. I don't buy my chicken, beef or lamb anywhere else

Wow - echoing what a few other reviewers have said: I've been meaning to come here for FOREVER & finally made it! A friend is a loyal Baiz customer & brought me for my first visit. So much good stuff that's unbelievably, affordably priced! What I love: *Produce prices - .69 cents for a bunch of mint; Yes please *Buy by the pound: kalamata olives, three kinds of feta (Bulgarian, Danish, Greek), labneh (creamy Greek yogurt) *Butcher dept w/ anything & everything including those lamb tongues (in photo) - not something I'd eat but each to their own *Pastry dept - they must have about THIRTY different kinds of pastries from pistachio & nutella baklava to traditional ma'amoul cookies *Spice aisle w/ an enormous range of spices from the familiar, cinnamon, to the more exotic (for me), za'atar *All the flavored waters, like rose water and orange blossom water, w/ many brands to choose from * Restaurant/cafe w/ seating area - lunched on a chicken shwarma sandwich & friend lunched on a beef shwarma sandwich; sandwiches are served on thin bread like lahvosh vs. a pita bread For $21 smackeroos, I got the following groceries: - Feta cheese/1/2 pound - Bottle of rose water - Mint bunch - Three Persian cukes - 1& 1/2 lb of sweet potatoes - Pumpkin seeds/8 oz - Walnuts/1 pound - Cream-topped yogurt/32 oz This same grocery list would be twice the price at Fry's so yes, I'm a new fan of Baiz! Thank you for offering so much to our community.

This is a great Middle Eastern and international grocery store. They have all of the essentials and their prices are the very very competitive. It is a clean store, with very organized shelves. Their butcher department is very large, offering many different types of meat.

They really need to change the name in Google Maps, this is not a Jewish Market Place. Everything is halal and not kosher. Also, this is amazing and has great fresh produce and mea. And they have Ana amazing Halva selection. I get Sugar Free Halva for my elderly family members here ❤️.
Raptor F — Google review
If you want authentic middle eastern food, come here! They have a restaurant inside, a deli with a variety of meats, and they even have a bakery! The food is also amazing, a variety of different foods to select from. The only find I have for the place is that the fruits aren't always as fresh as you would like then to be; The vegetables are though. And that the restaurant is a bit pricey, but the food is worth it. It's delicious.
Christina — Google review
I love this place. I always get anything I need for shwarmas or gyros here. The seasoning selection is amazing. Great selection of yogurts too. I try to steer away from crema/sour cream and use yogurt instead. Great alternative. Too bad the restaurant closed down though, it was a great place to stop for a good lunch.

Great meats and baked goods too. Baklava, pita bread 10/10 lamb and beef so fresh. And I hear they accept ebt

El Rancho Market in Phoenix, AZ is a Mexican supermarket offering a wide array of goods from Latin America. The store features a large produce section, along with a tortilleria, bakery, and butcher counter. Visitors can also enjoy the juice bar and hot foods at the cantina inside. The market is known for its authentic south-of-the-border cuisine and fresh offerings in the morning.
People often underestimate this store! I purchased fresh beef neckbones and oxtails for less than $10 a pound! Not to mention the fresh pastries baked daily! The customer service is always friendly and quick…which I love. If you love eating and cooking Mexican food you must stop here.

It's not bad, exactly what youd expect. You get what you need and the pastries you can't go without. The meats are good to.

This place is incredible! The staff is extremely helpful, their food is top quality. They were able to help me coordinate a huge order cooking for a group of 30 people. I would highly recommend this authentic Mexican market.
Christopher P — Google review
Great neighborhood grocery store. Still cheaper than other big grocery stores and a ton of charm. A lot of reviews here are mentioning bad service, never had this issue. They hire a lot of young cashiers that are "learning the ropes". If anything they are just a little shy, but that's it.
Gene B — Google review
The butcher meat does not look like it’s maintained at a proper temperature with heat from the lamps right over the meat. The glass doesn’t even feel cold when you touch it. I do not recommend you pick up your meats here any longer.
J — Google review
Great place...tons of selections of fresh produce and butcher section. Prepared food id Fresh and Great. They were very nice and helpful even though i don't speak Spanish. Highly recommend....also prices were very fair
KEVIN N — Google review
It's a good store with a deli and bakery inside, it carries a lot more ethnic food than many other grocery stores, and the fruit and vegetables section is always bountiful. They have plenty of staff that are always friendly and helpful, plus the store is located in a convenient area on the SE corner of Dunlap and 19th avenue. The only thing keeping it away from earning 5 stars is the fact that there are not a lot of variations in products- such as yogurt frozen products, and the cost of items food and non- food alike.
Isa M — Google review
Best prepared food counter out of any supermarket in the valley. I mean, IDK if it counts as a deli counter, but it's next to the bakery section and better than many of the local Mexican restaurants I've been to. I wish we had an El Rancho in Flagstaff. It's one of the only things I miss about Phoenix. I don't miss the heat, bad drivers, or gunshots every other night, but I do miss my El Rancho market kitchen.

Lams Market is a well-established Asian market that has been serving the Phoenix community for over 30 years. It prides itself on offering a wide array of Asian products, from fresh fruits and vegetables to various meats and seafood. The market is known for its cleanliness and organization, making it a pleasant shopping experience. Customers can find an extensive selection of Asian food items, including Korean ice creams, dumplings, kimchi, instant noodles, and candies.
We love Lam's Market. A wonderful, old-fashioned Asian supermarket with tons of variety, fresh fruit, veggies, meat and seafood. You'll see from the photos that it's clean and well organized. This is specifically the Lam's at 35th and Camelback. We used to go to the Lam's at 67th and Indian School, but this one is closer to home. Whether you're in a family that regularly cooks Asian food or are experimenting with Asian cuisine, you should be able to find all the ingredients you need at Lam's.
Jason N — Google review
I've come to this grocery store a few times and it's the main one I go to for Asian foods. It's definitely unassuming and relatively small but they have all the core staples you'd look for at an Asian market (esp. Chinese, Japanese, Korean food and drink - there is a Filipino section, though it's not very big, but it's noteworthy since that can be hard to find). The quality is consistently good here, I've never had any issues. The prices are also pretty good, in fact I'm pretty sure some of the produce prices beat my local big chain grocer. Just keep in mind that anything imported will always be a bit pricier than the equivalent product (if one exists) in western cuisine.

Yes the did have good stuff, but the items were not stocked it the correct spot. And I bought a buldak Sriracha sauce, and it said best by Jan 15 2025. They sold me a 3 month old sauce and it was on display! Make sure u check the tags!!!

My wife is Thai and she's always trying to find markets that have a selection of Thai food at asian markets. Most asian markets specialize in chinese, korean and Japanese food. Lam's market is her favorite so far for the selection of Thai food. It's also not too big and we'll organized.

Nestled in 23 acres of lush grounds, Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows offers a refined and artsy retreat. The resort features bright rooms and suites, as well as homey bungalows with private entrances and open-air patios. It's a paradise for pets, offering expansive green space and pet-friendly amenities. Guests can indulge in opulent dining experiences such as the Black Stallion Wine Dinner at the signature dining destination, Weft & Warp Art Bar + Kitchen.
My wife and I stayed at Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The resort itself is stunning – the rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and felt private and relaxing. The food was outstanding at every meal, with so much attention to detail and flavor. The pools were perfect, offering the ideal mix of relaxation and luxury, and we loved spending time there soaking up the Arizona sunshine. The entire experience was unforgettable, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our honeymoon and can’t wait to come back! Thanks again!
Kyle K — Google review
I rarely post reviews, but this experience truly warranted one. I booked Andaz Scottsdale to celebrate my first wedding anniversary and made that clear when reserving. I was told the concierge would contact me within 24–48 hours to arrange spa services, but three days passed with no call. When I followed up, I was told to book the Palo Verde Spa myself—information that could’ve been shared from the start. The spa made no effort to accommodate a couples massage, even after I explained it was our anniversary and offered to pay more if needed. By the time I was finally transferred—the day before our stay—everything was fully booked. I wanted this to be a special, seamless experience for my husband, but instead we had to book spa treatments at a different resort and rush through our evening just to make dinner reservations. Staff showed little empathy, and the only “gesture” offered was champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries BUT at my expense, adding another $200. After our stay, I called about an item I left in our bungalow, left a voicemail with housekeeping (Sophia), and still haven’t received a callback days later. Don’t get me wrong—the hotel is beautiful. But as the saying goes, if you’re ugly on the inside, you’re ugly on the outside too. For a nearly $1,000 one-night bungalow stay, I expected far better communication, empathy, and follow-through. I chose Andaz after researching LGBTQ+-friendly resorts with great reviews, but this experience fell flat. Andaz Scottsdale could be exceptional—but it desperately needs a reset in customer service and genuine hospitality.

This is a great spot! We loved our stay here: great room with a lot of privacy. Quiet and calm, so easy to just chill. Staff very friendly, professional and serviceminded. We had dinner in the restaurant (Weft & Warp) which was great (pasta and fish) where they also serve breakfast (was also great). I hope I get a chance to return to this great hotel. I recommend this place.

Thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary getaway here. Welcome Cocktail and cookies are always a perk. Bungalow was spacious. Every staff member we met was pleasant and eager to help. Pool was too cold for us but hot tub was welcoming. Close to plenty of eats and a short drive to hikes or whatever interests you. Only 20 minutes from phoenix airport!

We stayed at the Andaz Scottsdale Resort for a couple’s getaway and had a lovely experience overall. The property is serene, calm, and beautifully maintained — perfect for a relaxing escape. The walkways are peaceful and tree-filled, with lots of fruit trees adding to the charm. The bungalow-style rooms were comfortable and well-designed, though our in-room phone wasn’t working, which was a small inconvenience. The on-site restaurant has a limited menu, but the food was fresh and flavorful. The pancakes, in particular, were some of the best we’ve ever had! The overall vibe of the resort is tranquil and rejuvenating — ideal for couples looking to unwind in a natural, elegant setting. Would definitely recommend for a quiet and refreshing getaway in Scottsdale.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights for our anniversary, it far exceeded our expectations. All of the staff was wonderful, particularly the entire staff at the spa. They were extremely welcoming, kind and friendly. The restaurant on the property was fantastic as well. If you’re looking to get away from life’s busy schedule, I highly recommend coming to Andaz to decompress and recharge.

Elan, at the Pool was outstanding, every time we have been to Andaz her and Don have made our stay a pleasure. Somehow they remember our last name and even what we like. We only come because we love the way we are treated there. And the way our rooms are kept up after we have been there by the cleaning ladies. The only thing get them waffles back 🙂Thank you Andaz see you soon.

From the moment we arrived, the entire team went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Everyone was incredibly helpful and genuinely kind, creating such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The food? Absolutely amazing. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. And the drinks — crafted with care and flavor. I’m not usually an Old Fashioned kind of girl, but it became my drink of choice all weekend. It was that good! The hotel itself is peaceful and quiet, with the added bonus of a 24-hour pool — a rare and wonderful perk. My husband and I will definitely be back again and again. Andaz, you’ve gained a customer for life. A huge thank you to the entire staff especially Joel, Anastasia, restaurant staff- Katelynn, Brandon and Samantha, and even the maintenance staff for their professionalism, constant smiles, and clear joy in serving guests. You all made our stay truly memorable.

From their butcher and seafood counters to freshly baked goods and aromatic coffees, every corner of AJ's is filled with culinary delights. The market-fresh produce and extensive cheese selection are perfect for those who appreciate fine ingredients.
Hard not to love this place. Honestly most of the time I go there to get my hands on a load of the ABSOLUTE BEST WHITE CHOCOLATE CHUNK MACADAMIA NUT COOKIES ANYWHERE! No cap, all caps on purpose. Trust me. Go there even if just for that. They’re in the bulk cookie area near the dessert counter. You won’t be disappointed.

Ajs is a bougie supermarket. I love coming here for the ice teas. I like to get their decaffeinated ice tea, the blueberry lavender is my favorite. The cookies are scrumptious, my favorite is the heath cookie. They have pumpkin cookies during the fall season. Love their hot meal sections, their pizzas are good. You can also order a pie to go, before a certain time. Never had soup, but they have a huge selection of hot soup, salad bar and a sushi bar. They also have flowers.

AJ's Fine Foods is simply amazing! The store is always clean and tidy, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I frequent this place for their fantastic floral arrangements which are absolutely breathtaking and worth every penny. Even though AJ's Fine Foods is on the higher end in terms of pricing for groceries the quality of products is unbeatable. My all-time favorite thing about this place is their iced teas, especially the large passion tea with orange slice which is an absolute steal at under $2. Plus, the cookies they offer for kids are a great way to keep them happy while shopping. Overall, AJ's Fine Foods is definitely a go-to place. I would highly recommend everyone to check it out!

Been coming for years and I can’t believe just how lax this company has gotten when it comes to animals in the store. This dog had its hind on the carts containing food, along with shaking and hair flying everywhere. This is unsanitary.

They have the best cold drinks at the bakery for reasonable prices. Benji and Kandace are my 2 favorite staff, but most are really good. One request: please get Blueberry Hibiscus tea and get rid of one of the gross ones, like the one with lavender.

I was easily able to find local items from Arizona as their labels are clear. You’ll find some of the same items you see in souvenir stores such as the cactus candy 🌵 but for cheaper. I’d say the place is similar to a Whole Foods/Safeway as well.

Nestled within CityScape, Pigtails Downtown is a hidden gem that opened its doors in February 2020, just as the world was shifting. This cocktail haven boasts an eclectic atmosphere featuring hanging gardens and unique decor like taxidermied javelinas. The entrance is cleverly disguised behind a kitchen door marked with a neon 'Cocktails' sign, leading you into a vibrant space crafted by the creators of The Whining Pig.
We stopped here after the Diamondbacks game and made it just in time for their Happy Hour. We were seated immediately. Our servers were super quick and processed. The cocktails are always fun and unique. The oysters were fresh and delicious! The atmosphere was fun, and it was a lovely experience.

I’m only giving 2 stars as this review mainly pertains to the poor service we received. The drinks are fantastic and we had many! Highly recommend the espresso and dirty martini. The porkbelly nachos are also to DIE for! We were a large walk in party of 7, the hostess was extremely friendly and sat us right away at the booth in the back which was amazing. The ambiance is extremely inviting. Now for the not so great part, our server Carly S. Carly was extremely hostile and slow with service. We felt like she was avoiding us and that we were inconveniencing her. Maybe she was having a bad day but it was a very negative experience. It was such a negative experience we ended up, after multiple attempts to find her, closing out and just going to a different bar. Would have been 5 stars had we just had a better server or sat at the bar.

Stopped into Pigtails Cocktail Bar with a group of 11 while celebrating a friend’s birthday, and I’m so glad we did. The vibe was super chill, and we lucked out with a booth tucked in the back corner - perfect for our crew. I ordered the Sticky Situation (mezcal, mango, piment, lemon, coconut) and it was absolutely delicious - bright, citrusy, and refreshing with just the right balance of smoke and sweetness. Easily one of my favorite cocktails of the night. Service was top-notch. Our waiter brought great energy, kept the waters flowing right when we sat down, and checked in often without ever hovering. Even one of the bartenders got in on the fun - I was doing a scavenger hunt and needed to tell a stranger a joke, and he happily played along. We only stayed for a round before heading to our next stop, but I’d definitely go back. Between the unique drinks, friendly staff, and cool vibe, this spot is a gem in Phoenix. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re nearby!

This place was on our bar crawl list, and although they probably didn't know they were part of a bar crawl, they accommodated 7 of us fairly quickly. The atmosphere was really cool. Dark, fun, and mysterious. Everyone was friendly. The only dislike was this witches brew drink they recommended. It was not good at all. It looked cool, but it was not good. Other than that, everything else was awesome! Especially the nachos! They were delicious!

We rolled up to Pig Tails for the first time and walked right into a little secret literally walking through the dish washing area to get to the speakeasy vibe. If you love the thrill of finding a hidden spot, this place nails it. The setup is unassuming from the outside, but the moment you step through, you’re greeted by a smooth, curated mood that says “you’re in for something special.” The space itself feels right for a grown up night out low lighting, real wood, and that quiet energy you get in a room where people are there to enjoy good drinks with friends or family. Speaking of which, we met up with some family and turned what could have been a casual meetup into a proper mini celebration. The mood stayed relaxed, the conversations flowed, and the whole night had a comfortable, intimate vibe like you found a hidden gem you’re not in a hurry to share with too many people. Now the drinks. Presentation was on point from the first pour to the last drop. Each cocktail looked like a little work of art, and you could tell the team put thought into every layer, garnish, and glassware choice. Taste matched the hype: bold, balanced, and inventive without tipping into gimmicky. It wasn’t about chasing trends; it was about delivering craft and character in every sip. The staff were confident and easygoing, guiding us through the menu with solid recommendations and a pace that let us enjoy the moment without feeling rushed. Bottom line: Pig Tails is a hidden gem worth seeking out for a night with family or friends where you want seriously good drinks, smart presentation, and a cool, low-key speakeasy vibe. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and a plan to be back soon. If you’re in the mood for something a little off the beaten path with big flavor, this is the spot.

Loved this place! They were able to accommodate our large party of 10 even though it was a speakeasy which was awesome. The drinks were so tasty. I had the “Down the Rabbit Hole” which was my favorite but I tried several other drinks from my friends and they were all good. Also, the bartenders were so nice and friendly. Would definitely come back!

This speakeasy was a bit hard to find at first as they tend to be but we finally found it. The drinks were spot on good with a pretty presentation, the food 👌🏽tasty, our waiter was cool, loved the decor. Amazing birthday party!! We did the rainbow pizza and cupcake. Place was very cute and decorations not needed. We did bring a blow up balloon and a sign and that was it for indoors and a yard sign outside. Outside is a picnic area that is in the shade. We brought appetizers and sandwiches for the parents and different beverages. We brought our own cutlery and plates to keep it easy. Only complaint is that on the day Phx decided to go to 100 degrees when it has been sitting at 80 all week 😀

We just celebrated my daughter’s 9th birthday at Spilled Batter and couldn’t be happier! From start to finish everything was amazing: the communication before the event was so smooth, the chef was wonderful, and the kids had the best time baking together. The food was delicious and the whole experience was fun, stress-free, and memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and special birthday party spot!

My daughter chose a custom Wicked party for her 7th birthday. Spilled batter went above and beyond giving a variety of themed recipes to choose from, making the class fun for her and her friends, and even giving a Wicked themed color sheet. Everyone had the best time and we can’t wait to have another party with spilled batter!

Spilled Batter was the best time for my 6 year old daughter! All of the girls loved making their own cupcakes and grilled cheese! They were all a part of the process which was pretty exciting. We highly recommend this for a bday party! You will have a blast!

Spilled Batter is the cutest place! My daughter attended camp there for 1 week and had the best time. She learned a lot and cannot wait to go back. Very well run and the most lovely location. We will definitely attend another camp/class.

Shea Cheese, located in North Phoenix, offers a diverse selection of cheeses and hosts various events for cheese enthusiasts. From classes on marinating cheeses to social gatherings like hikes and brunch series, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow cheese lovers. Visitors can sample a variety of cheeses such as Humboldt Fog and Swiss while learning about creating grazing boards from the knowledgeable staff.
Sweet dreams are made of cheese I've been meaning to visit Shea Cheese since it opened and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long! Owner Jenny Zink, along with her husband Isaak, is a lively adventurous person living life to the fullest. I met Jenny years ago, when she ran a women's adventure group, and I was looking to meet new people. Although I wish that we had more outings of riding electric scooters along the canals of Old Town, I'm excited to support her in her adventures as a business owner. The day we stopped in she was actually hosting the Red Cross for a blood drive. I'm an avid donor and saw this as my push to get to Shea cheese. I had to cancel my donation for scheduling issues, but still went in later and saw Jenny handing every donor a gift bag. I've donated at many host locations and have never seen this! She set a goal of 17 donors and ended up with 27! We stopped in for the makings of a delicious charcuterie board and it put a big smile on my face as I saw Jenny again, in her element of bringing strangers together. Jenny is very candid about her 7+ year sobriety journey and I see the comments on her posts about people sharing their own journey. If you can't tell, she just amazes me. Ok...so now to the shop. It's an intimate cute space with so many yummy options. Isaak gave us cheese samples and helped us pick a cheddar, bleu, and soft cheese to go with our meats and crackers. They also offer beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) along with plant-based food options, books, and more. Oh! They make the most delicious sandwiches! We loved the decadent truffle flavor of the Unbrielievable grilled cheese and the savory rich roast beef and bleu cheese flavors of The Lil' Stinker. Recently they acquired the shop space nextdoor and opened it as a lounge. Now there is a space to sit and enjoy your sandwich and a book. It's also put to wonderful use with their cheese classes, silent book club, and many more events. Check out their schedule on the website! Oh! I can't forget to mention that Shea Cheese was recently awarded a Best-Of-The-Valley accolade! Last year it was for The Most Clever name. This year is for The Most Fun Company Newsletter. It appears that I'm not the only one who enjoys Jenny's personality and humor. I hope I've convinced you to visit Shea Cheese. Whether it be for lunch, to pick up snacks, or to attend an event. Stop in, meet Jenny and her team and enjoy this special place.

This morning I was watching my news station which is channel 3. They were doing a special on local businesses on 32nd and Shea. All of a sudden, I heard the word cheese and I turned to the screen, which is my weakness. I have to come and try this place. And to my surprise, I was not disappointed at all! If I had not gotten full with my delicious grilled cheese sandwich, I would’ve ordered something else, lol. I had the Brie grilled cheese, absolutely delicious! Tried a local beer, p sr flavor, very refreshing! They sell assorted cheeses and crackers and jams and local beer. They have outside seating benches, and their lounge next-door. I will definitely be coming back!

Category: Retail shop (food products). When I first heard of this shop, I thought the name was Chez Cheese. When I later heard that the name is actually Shea Cheese and that it is located just off of Shea Boulevard, I thought it was the most clever name for a cheese shop. I first visited the shop looking for a cheese I recently had in Lisbon. They didn’t have that cheese but they offer a very nice selection of mostly artisanal domestic cheeses, along with a variety of salami and cheese-related products and some slice-to-order meats, such as prosciutto and speck. In the self-serve fridge I spotted Wisconsin Limburger, which I’ve known since childhood as a notoriously stinky but delicious cheese, but never tried it, so I bought some for a dinner party of foodies, along with a Belgian Ale & Lemon Zest salami made in Brooklyn. Limburger is supposedly the Durian of cheeses. As it turned out, the cheese was not scarey at all, but we will let it age according to the instructions on the package and maybe it will live down to my expectations. In case you are craving cheese but can’t wait to take it home, you can order one of several creative grilled cheese sandwiches, other cheese-focused sandwiches, cheese boards, and charcuterie boards. There’s also a small selection of wine for accompaniment. There are no tables inside but there are a couple outside. Check it out and do what you can to support this local business. This place is so great! It's a small shop but packed with all kinds of fun things. The owners/staff are exceptionally knowledge about cheese and are happy to cut you a sample of any offering in their case before you decide to buy. Also, I love their events. If you haven't done a Cheese 101 class, it's so fun! I learned a lot and had a great time. I can also highly recommend the grazing boards for hosting your own parties.

THE BEST PLACE TO GO FOR CHEESE! Every time we go into Shea Cheese, we are greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. That hospitality extends to everything they do, from endless samples for my kids, suggestions for new things we might like based on what we've tried in the past, and the events in their Cheese Lounge. Jenny and Isaak are committed to bringing the community together, and they do a fantastic job of it!
SRMS T — Google review
The very best cheese shop in all the land! Obviously, they excel at cheeses but they also stock the shelves with yummy little snacks and accompaniments to cheese. They have clever little gifts and books for gifting and the sandwiches are just delicious.

Great cheeses, classes and events. Friendly and approachable staff. I always go here when I'm making a special dish that requires top quality cheese!!

Stop in for some cheese or a condiment or a sandwich, and you are in for a wonderful treat. And we really appreciate the neighborhood engagement and the collaborations with some of our other neighborhood businesses. Keep up the good work and the good cheese!

Food and beverage consultant
DRISCOLL Cuisine & Cocktail Concepts offers personalized dining experiences, including private chef dinners and cooking classes in the comfort of your own home. Co-founded by chef Brian Driscoll and author Monique Hayward, this service provides tailored classes led by talented chefs and bartenders. They can teach you new techniques or explore different cuisines while preparing elegant meals with wine pairings or cocktails.
My wife and I just returned from 3 amazing days at The Concept in Phoenix. We were greeted curbside by Brian who took our luggage and gave us a champagne tour of the beautiful property. The pictures online don’t do justice to the design and attention to detail in this home – from the huge, plate glass front door to the ‘raindrop’ chandelier to the ‘fire and water’ feature in the back yard, it’s jaw dropping. We had an amazing time watching shows on the massive 4K, backlit TV with surround sound in the main room – and loved the roomy, quiet, and super-comfortable master suite. Out back, we enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub on a cool winter day! The most notable aspect of the Concept is the experience provided by Brian, the live-in chef. Each morning, he made each of us our own breakfast tailored to our tastes (tip: try his French omelet!). During the day, he often made us drinks and provided snacks while we enjoyed the property. The crown jewel was the happy hour Brian provided for us and 10 of our local friends. Brian put together a custom menu, including appetizers that covered a range of very specific food-needs, wine pairings, and three of his signature cocktails. It was clear to see that Brian was in his ‘happy place’ while preparing and hosting this amazing event. It’s also worth mentioning the location of this home in a quiet, centrally-located neighborhood. Because we had activities and friends in all directions, we were pleasantly surprised at the convenience to Sun City, Scottsdale, Cave Creek, and other locations.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience for our 40th wedding anniversary. Chef Mackenzie made us two amazing several course meals that were the best we have ever had, and that's saying a lot when you have traveled the world! Monique and Brian went out of their way to make our stay memorable.

Located in the Moon Valley neighborhood of Phoenix at Thunderbird and 19th Ave, DRISCOLL Cuisine and Cocktail Concepts offers an exclusive in-home dining experience like no other. This unique concept allows clients to rent a stunning private home and enjoy a meticulously crafted meal by a professional chef. Our evening began with a tour of the elegant home, followed by a six-course dinner prepared by Chef Todd Griffith. We started with an "Empress Gin French 75" cocktail and ended the night with an "Añejo Smoked Old Fashioned." The menu featured exquisite dishes such as the "Greetings" Pickled Oyster with cucumber mignonette, caviar, and dill; the "Amuse Bouche" Seared Scallop with black olive caramel, peperonata, and fennel; the "Soup" Sopa de Ajo with cream, herb oil, and crispy garlic; the "Salad" Tomato Crudo with beet-chile puree, pepitas, queso fresco, hibiscus vinegar, and mint; the "Entrée" Spice-Rubbed Tri-Tip with butter-braised potato, chermoula sauce, baby broccoli, and bordelaise; and the "Dessert" Honey Pot de Crème with mint-infused cream, raspberry, and a lace cookie. Chef Todd Griffith's exceptional culinary skills and attention to detail made for an unforgettable evening. For those seeking a luxurious dining experience in an extravagant setting, DRISCOLL Cuisine and Cocktail Concepts is the perfect choice.

We were so well taken care of by Brian and Chef Kevan Kiefer we could not have asked for anything more. The food was outstanding. They created exactly what my daugther and her new husband wanted for their wedding celebration. Every guest commented on how great the food was. Highly recommend DRISCOLL Cuisine & Cocktail Concepts!! Above and Beyond for sure!!
Donna S — Google review
I can’t say enough about this experience! Brian and Monique were prompt, professional and creative in their menu planning. Everything from linen choice to cleanup were exceptional. The food was exceptional and unlike anything I’ve experienced. This team is great to work with! 10/10 recommend.

We hired Driscoll Cuisine and Cocktail Concepts to host a cooking class and dinner for my husband’s birthday in our home. The experience was truly phenomenal. Chefs Brian and Steven are experts at their craft and really dove into the details behind the dishes we cooked while delivering a fun, relaxed environment. The food was incredible and the service seamless, despite never having been to our house and catering to 9 guests! The only thing we will do differently next time is tweak the flow to have light snacks and appetizers available to our guests first thing because the cooking demonstration took a bit longer than I anticipated and we didn’t eat beforehand. We will be hiring and having Brian’s team over many more times in the future and are already planning our next event!

I wish I could give 10 stars out of 5! I wanted to do something fun and unique for my bachelorette party, and dinner with DRISCOLL was the highlight of everyone's trip! Chefs Brian and Todd curated a fantastic menu that celebrated tastes of the southwest with perfect wine pairings. They arrived at our Airbnb exactly when expected and brought all of the necessary materials and ingredients with them, which was such a relief to not have to worry about what the Airbnb did or didn't have stocked. Brian and Todd were so kind and hospitable, the service and timing of everything was paced just right. My girls and I felt so at ease to share hilarious stories that had us rolling in laughter and I'm sure Brian and Todd got a kick out of it! To have a 5-star dining experience at "home" in a relaxed atmosphere was an absolutely amazing experience that I couldn't recommend more to anyone, and I look forward to working with DRISCOLL again - book them NOW! My fiance and I will be keeping close to their journey!

Whisked Away Cooking School, founded by the talented Maggie Norris in 2009, offers a delightful culinary journey right from her charming Arcadia home. With a background that includes externing at The Food Network alongside renowned chefs like Emeril Lagasse and Rocco DiSpirito, Maggie brings a wealth of knowledge to her classes. Participants can explore various topics such as crafting basic sauces or preparing Italian feasts and Chinese takeout.
Having never been to a cooking class (and not being a particularly confident cook) I wasn’t sure what to expect - but it was a fantastic evening! Maggie was a great host and teacher, and the lesson was really well planned. It was a fun group and delicious food, so I will definitely be going again. Thank you Maggie!!

Had the opportunity to hold our team activity at Whisked Away. Incredible evening! Maggie is an absolute joy to work with. Knowledgeable, fun and a great sense of humor. Logistically she made the process so easy. Wonderful experience!

I attended one of the cooking classes for a friend’s birthday and had a great time! It was a fun but relaxed atmosphere, and the food we made was delicious! I would definitely take another of Maggie’s classes!

For my birthday, three of my friends and I decided to take the Summer Farewell class with Maggie in September. We had such a good time! Maggie is down to earth and so welcoming and knowledgeable. It was a great setting for the cooking class and just the right class size. Maggie had great tips to share and I think the best part was feeling so "at home" in her home when we sat down to eat the meal we all prepared. Thank you so much, I look forward to the next time!

Our team participated in a cooking class with Maggie as part of our offsite. Maggie had a knack for getting everyone involved, regardless of their skill level. We had a wonderful time and it was a perfect evening filled with food and fun.
