Renowned for its exceptional bread selection, including chewy sourdoughs and Fancy Pants Breads like Cherry Walnut and Second Avenue Scallion Dill, the cafe also offers delectable sweets and vegan cookies.
Very yummy food. Vegan and vegetarian options. Brunch had a lot of good options. French onion soup is a must! French dip sandwhich delicious! The crispy potato tacos portion was a little small. Staff were kind and good service. Nice new renovation, kind of dark vibe wish there was more natural light but it was nice

This place has friendly staff, healthy delicious food, gluten free bread and gluten free Cosmic brownie and oat bars, salads and sandwiches, great hot chocolate with dairy free milks, artwork all over! I'm definitely going back soon!!!

We stopped by because this is one of the only Gluten Dude vetted restaurants in the area, which will cater to my celiac disease. Ordered the Elote Salad, and my husband the French toast. Alerted them to my allergies, and they were beyond diligent in catering to us. Which we really appreciate. Not to mention, this is easily the meal we've had in a long time. FANTASTIC!!!

Amazing hidden gem. It’s located right next to Pretzel Bell on Main Street. Lots of folks seem to order coffee and leave, but they are truly missing out on some delicious food! The smoked Salmon toast is absolutely amazing. Most of the servers are good, though, I’ve had a couple that seemed surprised to find that they were on the clock and shocked when I asked for a coffee refill. Still, the consternation is well worth it for the high quality food and coffee! The atmosphere is Ann Arbor in a nutshell. Give this place a try! You won’t regret it.

I can’t say enough good things about this coffee shop. Recently, I was here with a friend who suddenly felt faint, and the staff jumped into action right away. They brought her water and food without hesitation and made sure she was comfortable until she felt better. Their kindness and quick response turned what could have been a scary situation into one where we felt truly cared for. On top of their amazing service, the coffee and food are excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. It’s rare to find a place where people genuinely look out for their customers, but this coffee shop goes above and beyond. Highly recommend not just for the great drinks, but for the wonderful people behind the counter.

2025 Update: Their location moved and merged with Pretzel Bell and it honestly saved their restaurant in my opinion. The service got significantly better. I no longer had to wait basically an hour for brunch, We got seated right away - got our orders taken within a reasonable amount of time and got our food and checks all within 30-45 minutes. We weren't left with where did our waiter/waitress go for an hour as we waited for our checks. Significantly better since they got bought out or merged. The food was good, however the service was terrible. The waiter did not come back to refill our waters the entire hour visit. He didn’t really come back to check on us. When I got up to use the restroom I spotted him chatting with the bartender instead of grabbing our checks. I saw him continuing to chat while we waited for about 15 minutes for our checks to come in.

Zingerman's Roadhouse is a bustling restaurant located in Ann Arbor's Veteran Park, offering generous portions of American comfort food. The traditional decor and bright dining room create a welcoming atmosphere for enjoying their elevated comfort dishes, such as mouthwatering mac and cheese, succulent Carolina barbecue, Maryland jumbo blue crab cakes, fried chicken, and South Carolina grits. They prioritize local ingredients like pork, beef, goat, and lamb from Washtenaw County and fresh produce from nearby farms.
Today was truly one of the best days of my adult life! After waiting 20 years, I finally had the chance to fulfill one of my biggest food dreams — visiting Zingerman’s Roadhouse. To make it even more special, I had the incredible honor of meeting Ari himself. What a genuine delight! His warmth and personality shine through every dish on the menu — you can literally taste the passion and care in each bite. I indulged in the fried chicken, mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes with the best chicken gravy I’ve ever had in my life — pure American comfort food at its absolute best. Every bite felt like home. And then came dessert — the butterscotch pudding. Creamy, rich, and downright soul-satisfying. It was the perfect finish to an unforgettable meal. Ari, your restaurant is a true gem, and you are an even greater person. Thank you for taking the time to sign my “Zingerman’s Guide to Good Eating” book and for creating a place where food, people, and passion come together so naturally. Your team reflects your spirit — friendly, creative, and authentically kind. I will absolutely fly across the country again just to experience this meal and that feeling all over again.

A cool restaurant with mostly good food. We came to Zingerman's for breakfast on the morning of a car show. We had heard nothing but good things about Zingerman's and I have had their pastries from a to-go event before. The service was good, our water Nate was fantastic. Very attentive, helpful with the menu, and quick to come back for refills and assistance. The sweet potato fries were fantastic, the fact that they give you free refills is also outstanding. Everyone's orders looked good and we're good from what I tried. Mine however was terrible. I had the Mac and eggs breakfast, which for $20 was a criminally small amount of food. If it were delicious, it would be OK but it was not. The eggs are baby side up were almost hard boiled, the bacon was overcooked and low quality, and the noodles for the Mac were over cooked. As stated everything else fantastic so it's possible I was a fluke and I would like to give them another try, but I left hungry and disappointed. :(

Very much what I had heard re. Food. Good basic fare. Great kale salad. Mac n cheese is award winning. Bbq ok.. My server was amazingly helpful but also gave me time to myself. Easy for solo diner to be happy here. And the caramel pudding is outstanding! I also wanted to bring pawpaw icecream home and staff went well above and beyond to pack it up in ice so I could travel with it. Thanks guys!!

My friend and I ordered burgers (2 different kinds) and they were great! The cook was a little off. They were cooked more well done than medium-well. My friend enjoyed her chili. I ordered a salad, but never got it. I asked my friend if it was on the bill, but she paid it and didn't recall. No biggie.. Just odd. We took dessert to go. She commented that the cheesecake was very small for $14/slice. The only thing I find odd is that the dessert I ordered was the mini Cannoli. What I got (see pic) is NOT a Cannoli! It is a hard attempt at an eclair at best. Service was decent. Oberon was nice and cold. The bugs in the dining area were a nuisance. Thanks!✌️
Angela H — Google review
The food was delicious and arrived in adequate time. Enormous portions that provide you a 2nd or more meal! I ordered the black bean & hominy vegan burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The spicy mayonnaise accompanying the fries is divine. Service was decent. Our waitress checked back at opportune times. Although I will say - even better service was provided us from an older silver haired gentleman - super knowledgeable staff member - who passed us several times and always asked if we needed anything. He suggested a barbecue sauce when my husband told him his pulled pork was too spicy. I believe he was one of owners? We came to have celebratory dinner for my husband and my son. Their birthdays are days a part and this is the place they chose. We were, at one point, jamming to a Ray Charles song - perfect for my baby boomer hubby and me as I was tiring of the rock music up to that point. This locale feels to more a burger, chicken place with American fare specialties. I’m a light fare lady so desire more variety of salads and seafood. Although heavier than what I’m accustomed to, I appreciate the abundance & friendly service. Beware it is pricey here! Be prepared to drop $40/pp incl beverage not including dessert.
Angela J — Google review
Great food. I got the chicken chili special. It was excellent. Came with a side salad. Great beer menu. Kid friendly. Much cooler atmosphere than the zingerman’s near university of michigan ann arbor. Next time ill try the bbq plate. Looked great.

We came here for dinner last night while traveling through Michigan. It was highly recommended to us by some family and friends as a "can't miss" restaurant....this place lived up to the hype! Delicious food, great service (shout-out to Amanda and Ari who took wonderful care of us). It's an elevated dining experience while still being very welcoming and cozy. If we're back in Michigan, we we will not miss dining at Zingerman's!

Afternoon Delight is a popular eatery in Ann Arbor, serving the city since 1978. It offers a cozy and bustling atmosphere with an extensive menu for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is known for its eggs Benedict and freshly baked bran muffins, along with common dishes like breakfast burritos, cinnamon French toast, Belgian waffles, pancakes, and omelets.
It's a very good place for brunch whether you are with your family or friends. It's perfectly located in Ann Arbor downtown. It may be difficult to find parking during the weekdays. They have plenty of breakfast options like omelettes, burgers, waffles and wraps. I would strongly recommend their fresh orange juice. The service and the atmosphere are excellent.

A lovely place! It was our first visit. The menu was posted at the door, giving you time to look at it before getting in line. It had so many great breakfast choices. We moved along the line and were greeted by a friendly, efficient person who took our order. The inside is so much more spacious than I thought it was from the outside view. We tucked away into a booth, and our drinks and orders arrived quickly. We had a create your own omelet with sourdough and half an order of eggs with hollandaise sauce over a potato pancake. I could easily make this a frequent breakfast spot. It truly is a delight.

This spot is a local favorite in Ann Arbor. I hadn’t been here in about 10 years, so I was surprised to see that you now order at the counter before sitting down. We visited on a Sunday for brunch and waited in line around 30–40 minutes. Ordered meat boule and potato pancake smoked salmon eggs Benedict. Food was full of flavor, very tasty and delicious, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back for more!
MyReviewIs — Google review
I haven’t been here in over 10 years but it wasn’t what I remembered at all. It kind of needs a refresh, it feels very dated and dark in there. Aside from that, you come in and read the menus and decide what you want and order when you get to the front of the line. I’m not a fan of that style restaurant, personally, but it is how they’ve done it forever. You get a table tag and go sit down and they bring your food and beverages out to you. I ordered a tuna sandwich and Diet Coke, my son ordered a grilled turkey sandwich and my daughter ordered a kids menu ham sandwich. All the ingredients were fresh and it tasted good. The tuna was a bit bland for me, but good. Service was awesome and I appreciate that.

I haven't visited there since the summer of 2003, so it's been nearly 21 years. The foods are outta this world!!!😝 Although, pricey, I'm very pleased with the service here. I'll probably visit here again sometime with my brother (he's also with me now)... Keep up the great service!😎👍🏾

Tons of options. Breakfast until 11:30. The bran blueberry muffin with lemon soft serve was unfortunately not good. Avocado toast, chicken sandwich, and quiche were OK. Mushroom soup was good. Would come back for soup and salad next time.

Sava's is a vibrant restaurant located in Ann Arbor, known for its contemporary decor and diverse menu. The eatery was established in 2007 by a young entrepreneur and has since expanded into a spacious two-story, 300-seat establishment. The restaurant offers an eclectic selection of locally sourced dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a particularly popular Sunday brunch buffet.
Went there in the summer and enjoyed lunch outside. The outside area is cute clean and well maintained. The food was quite good too. I was happy they had a vegan item with protein, the Hippy Bowl. It’d be great if there was more than one vegan item but it was good. My friends ate other dishes with meat and enjoyed them. The cocktails were very good too and the service was good our server was helpful sweet and funny. My friends ordered the pistachio tiramisu which looked good but they didn’t love it and said they wouldn’t order it again. But otherwise it was a good place for lunch and I’d go back. We went for a family dinner. The out of the box menu delighted me. I ate the Hippie Bowl, which is a mix of healthy ingredients complementing each other subtly. I also loved the Artichoke dip, which bursts upon your tastebuds as a pleasant surprise. Do try out this restaurant with a character of its own. Highly recommended.

Sava's has been a favorite of ours for many years. It is a quality Ann Arbor restaurant that is always busy and has kept current with modern renovations and frequent menu updates. It can be a casual meal or an upscale experience, whatever you prefer. There is plenty of cuisine variety, yet just a single page of menu items. When we have out-of-town visitors this is one of our go to choices. I suggest making a reservation if dining during a prime time, as they do fill up quickly.
Tara C — Google review
2/5 Can't say I understand the overwhelming positivity that reviewers have expressed for Sava's. Dined in for breakfast on a Monday morning so it wasn't busy. In fairness, we happened to be there the day Amazon Web Services was down and I understand this caused some chaos behind the scenes since the kitchen staff couldn't rely on their normal systems. However, that doesn't excuse the shortcomings of my experience. I ordered a breakfast sandwich that literally has avocado in the name. The kitchen staff forgot them. I brought it to the server's attention afterwards in hopes that the staff wouldn't mess this up for someone else and wish they simply left it at that. Instead, the server proceeds to come back with a plate of sliced avocadoes after all the plates and silverware were cleared off so not exactly sure what I was supposed to do with them??? Can't say plain avocadoes are the most appetizing either. To me, this speaks to the restaurant's desperate financial state since they also didn't remove the interesting "sustainability" charge that's enforced. I'd say forgetting avocadoes is quite a way to sustain. Additionally, I ordered a side caesar salad that hardly had any dressing in it so I ended up leaving a good amount of it untouched. Maybe it was a bad day for Sava's. Either way, I recommend spending your time and money elsewhere.

Impressed by Elliot’s service tonight. He was so thoughtful checking in, offering recommendation to protecting my husband when it came to food allergy. Honestly the atmosphere of the staff there seemed positive and probably ran by great leadership. Highly recommend for food, service & atmosphere!

Went for brunch on a busy game day. Was able to make reservations a few weeks back online (had slight trouble setting up an account and you have to hold with card they will charge for late/cancelation). Buffet was well stocked but for me the food was just ok - understandably under seasoned for all palates but good selection. My companions ordered off menu - shrimp & grits, Eggs Benedict and then the strawberry rhubarb cheesecake. All of a la carte items were superb. Cocktails were also good.
Leiah S — Google review
Sava's has been a mainstay in Ann Arbor since 2007. The interior is elegant, and notably has two levels. The cuisine is primarily American, but there are some Mediterranean options, as well. It's also worth mentioning that brunch takes place on Sundays. The fried dill pickles are a simple, but great way to start a meal. The half order of the mac & cheese is another great option. It's baked with 4 cheeses and topped with bread crumbs. As for entrees, Sava's burger is legit. The dijonaise and shallots on it are what stood out to me the most. Although they don't come with the burger, I recommend ordering the shoestring fries. I've also had the lamb shank. This is the most expensive dish on the menu, but it's worth it. The lentil ragout and veggies the lamb is served with compliment it so well. The dessert menu occasionally rotates. I've tried the raspberry pot de crème and the blueberry cheesecake. The bites of the pot de crème with raspberry were significantly better than the ones without. As for the cheesecake, its fluffy texture was the highlight. The combination of the beautiful ambiance and the high quality food make Sava's a desirable destination.

We brought our aunt here while she was visiting from out of town and had a phenomenal experience. Laura was our server, super kind, knowledgeable, and her recommendations were spot on! She is a great addition to this experience. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp, that crispy sweet rice combo? Incredible. I’d honestly eat it for brunch with a “shrimp & grits” twist. For drinks: I had the Beldam of Barbados (refreshing + balanced). My husband loved The Connoisseur — a cozy bourbon + coffee cocktail with zero dairy (rare and perfect for fall!). Our aunt enjoyed the Harvester — citrusy and delicious. My husband and I both had the Filet Mignon - juicy, tender, and the zip sauce took it over the top. The grilled asparagus and smashed potatoes were the perfect sides. Our aunt had the Capellini Marlon — great flavor, big shrimp, but definitely better with extra sauce (ask for it!). She also wished they offered some bread on the side. We shared the Oreo Cheesecake and I’m still thinking about it. And I don’t even eat dessert like that! The chocolate glaze and Oreo crust were divine. Would love a little whip and crushed Oreos on top — but even as-is, it was chef’s kiss. 🎯 Bonus: I’d love to see the Birria Tacos return to the menu — had them last fall and they were unforgettable! Tip: This is one of the hottest spots in Ann Arbor, so make a reservation early — totally worth it!

Café Zola is a trendy yet comfortable eatery located in Ann Arbor, MI. The restaurant features high ceilings, exposed brickwork, and communal tables, creating a rustic and inviting atmosphere. The menu offers an eclectic array of dishes influenced by French cuisine and culture. From Moroccan chickpeas to Hawaiian ahi tuna and classic Kobe burgers, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, the restaurant provides outdoor seating options.
Delicious healthy food cooked to perfection. Plenty of parking just a few steps away, this awesome restaurant breaks the mold with their wonderful selection you can eat and know you're doing your body good. We were seated promptly at our reservation time at a cozy table looking out the window onto the street surrounded by beautiful artwork by local artists. If you're really lucky your server will be Summer, who knows the menu inside and out was exceptionally friendly and served us with a smile. There are many wonderful dishes to choose from but make sure you don't miss the truffle fries. Can't wait to go back and try some more of their fresh menu items.

The crab cake Benedict was seasoned perfectly. I wish there had been more sauce on the side though. It does not come with hollandaise sauce, it's a creamy dill & lemon sauce. Delicious! My S.O. had the southwest omelette. I didn't taste it, but I did have the potatoes which were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Our server Billy was friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. We will be going back.

Café Zola - Ann Arbor, MI ✨ Tucked in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, Café Zola offers a cozy yet vibrant dining experience that hits all the right notes. 🍣 I ordered the salmon burger, and it was really good. Tender and flaky on the inside, and topped with pickled ginger, fresh veggies, and a flavorful sauce that tied it all together. The sweet potato fries were crispy and addicting. 🍸 The espresso martini was the cherry on top smooth, bold, and beautifully presented. If you’re a coffee lover, this one’s a must. The ambiance is stylish yet relaxed perfect for brunch with friends or a casual date night. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. 🌟 Overall: Café Zola is a gem in Ann Arbor. Amazing food, great drinks, and a vibe that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

Went to Cafe Zola with friends for dinner, and it was a great experience overall. We had a reservation and were seated promptly at our reserved time, which was a nice start to the evening. The menu is limited, but what they offer is well-executed. The absolute standout dish was the Sambar Grilled Chicken Skewers—the sauce was the real star, adding a bold kick that made the dish unforgettable. The flavors still linger, making it a must-try! Though listed as a starter, the portion was generous enough to be a main course. The sauce and chicken complemented each other perfectly, making it a standout dish. We also tried: • Shrimp Tacos – Fresh and flavorful • Brussels Sprouts – Nicely done • Bread Board – A good starter to share • Tofu with Ginger Tahini Sauce – Light yet packed with flavor • Cavalo Nero (Kale pesto & spring pea shoots) – A unique and tasty combination • Tajarin ai Limone with Chicken (customized with added chicken) – So good! The chicken was cooked to perfection. • Faroe Island Salmon Fillet – Well-prepared and delicious The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a great experience. They also offer outdoor seating for summer, which is something I’d love to try next time. They offer vegetarian and gluten-free options, and the staff is accommodating if you need modifications. It’s best to check with them for specific dietary needs For parking, we got lucky since it wasn’t too busy, but during peak hours, finding a spot can be tricky as it’s located downtown. However, a private paid parking lot is just a few steps away, making it convenient. The restaurant falls on the expensive side, and the portions are small, but the flavors make up for it. Next time, I’m definitely trying their crepes and truffle fries! Overall, Great Food, Cozy Ambiance, and Friendly Service. A great spot for a nice meal with friends—just don’t expect a huge menu!

Delicious Food, we started by splitting the Kale salad, well massaged and flavored, it was easy to eat. I had the bow tie pasta with Kale pesto and pine nuts, it was natural with a slightly earthy taste, so good! Olivia had the crab cakes Benedict and said they were so good. Great Brunch!

We hosted breakfast here which has been around for over a decade and is very popular with the local crowd but we’re able to get in at 9:00m mostly because university of Michigan is closed and not too many kids around. I ordered a FrenchPress coffee and a Southwestern Omelette with a spicy chorizo filling and potatoes which were delicious. Bread came very very late and I had already finished my omelette by then. The food is good but each dish was $22++. And they automatically added 20% gratuity as we were a party of 8.

Nestled in the heart of Ann Arbor, Juicy Kitchen is a delightful breakfast and lunch spot that radiates warmth and charm. This cozy nook specializes in crafting meals from scratch using locally sourced ingredients, hormone-free chicken, and organic grains. With an extensive menu featuring vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Breakfast is served until 3 p.m.
Lovely little place with great food and service. The employees are busy, but seem happy. I appreciate the many vegan options. If you ask, they’ll kindly escort you to the restroom in the back. Close to the highway if traveling through.

Wife and I went for Saturday morning brunch. Absolutely incredible food (and beverages! 🤤), service and all-around experience. It's small, sure...and the limited seating is cozy, but that's to be expected given the location. The staff were super friendly and accommodating as were the fellow patrons. You can tell they have a devout band of regulars. We'll DEFINITELY be back!

Tiny seating for about 12 indoors in the winter so you might have to wait on a Sunday. But worth it! Grab a delicious coffee while you wait and hang out and chat with other people in line. Fun vibe here. When I got my "omelet of the day" and saw a Brussel Sprout peep out I thought "Oh Yeah! My kind of place". Then a salad with a slice of watermelon radish. Oh yeah again. Loved the delicious bread and the cheese on the omelet was especially rich and tasty. Everything here is a step above. I'm fussy about my coffee and don't generally get it out because it's so ordinary. But this is anything but ordinary. It's freshly ground and exceptionally good. Most folks that stay to eat in versus carryout eat and leave so the next person in line can come to a table. You shouldn't plan to linger on a busy Sunday. We'll go back for sure and hopefully be able to eat outdoors. Love this place.

This is a decent place to grab a healthy snack, meal, or drink! For drinks, we got the matcha lemonade and health nut smoothie. Both were great—we would definitely come back for these. For food, I got the JK benedict. It was composed of poached eggs sitting atop a mixture of peppers and mushrooms and a gluten-free English muffin. I didn’t enjoy the pepper-mushroom mixture because it tasted like if someone mixed together a can of low-sodium tomato paste and spinach and added nothing else. The gluten-free English muffin was also not my favorite because it had a grainy-soggy-crumbly texture that didn’t mesh well with the rest of the dish.

After returning for our second visit in a year, I can confidently say that The Juicy Kitchen is one of the best brunch spots we've tried in MI. From the food to the service and hospitality, everything is exceptional. The owner, who greeted us warmly, is incredibly welcoming and communicative. The staff members are friendly, warm, and extremely helpful. Words can't quite capture how wonderful this place is. Don't be surprised by its small size and tucked-away location in a plaza, it's truly a hidden gem in Ann Arbor!

This place is amazing, and they know how to keep the people wanting more :))) I would eat here three times a day if this place was open later. Even the simplest breakfast items have amazing-quality ingredients and so much flavor. There is always something new to try on the menu. Their frozen section lets you bring their menu home for dinner. They are always busy, which is a great sign, but the line always moves quickly. Can't say enough good things about them.

We recently visited for breakfast and the food is incredible. Fresh and healthy. My wife had a breakfast burrito and I had one of their specials. There is limited seating but they do offer takeout which appears to be very popular here. If your in the area give this place a try. You will not be sorry.

Refreshing, authentic & quality food. We’ll be regulars here when in town. Definitely better then continental or regular classic breakfast. The products are organic and produce are fresh. They have gluten free options!!!

The Lunch Room - Bakery & Cafe is a popular spot in Ann Arbor, offering a plant-based menu with a variety of breakfast options, sandwiches, tacos, burritos, and bowls. Despite its name, the cafe also serves dinner. The establishment originally started as a food truck in 2011 before expanding to its brick-and-mortar location. The menu features vegan versions of comfort foods such as mac & cheese, banh mi, and pad Thai made with bean thread noodles and marinated tofu.
Came here for breakfast and was able to get service quickly. I love their little two people booths. A unique feature that was so cute and cosy. Breakfast sandwich was so much smaller than the burrito but I was still pretty happy with it. Delicious and all I needed. Affordable coffee too, with a lot of milk options, including some flavored creamers.

If you are ever in the Ann Arbor area and don't eat at The Lunch Room ... Well, I can only assume it's because you're going to fall too much in love and then be sad because it's not closer to you!!! If I could give this place 10000 stars I would! BUT NO REALLY is it possible to love somewhere more? If I lived in the area I can see myself stopping by so often, the ambience of the entire space is too good. So much natural light, the friendliest service, a fantastically large menu, the best coffee, rotating pastry specials .. and I was only here for breakfast! Here's everything we tried: 💚 Josh's Bagel Sandwich - sooooo tasty and I ordered a plain bagel to go because it was one of the best I've had in my entire life (NYC comparable!) and I regret not getting six! 💚 Avocado Toast - we ordered this both times we went as a starter to share and it was 🤌🏻 I don't know if I'll find an avocado toast I like more. The fresh crunchy bread, perfect avocado, red onions (my fave!) 💚 Jake ordered the breakfast platter and it was so tasty. A perfect mix of everything! The tofu scramble was soooo good! 💚 S'mores scone..... Was..... So..... Good. And not included here was, without a doubt, the best brownie we have both ever had. 💚 The COLD BREW!!!! THE COLD BREEEEEEEWWWW 💚 The Billie Jean biscuit was one of the most flavorful and unique items I've ever eaten. The biscuit itself was what I dream of and the maple Dijon sauce set this sandwich offfffff

The top shelf that top shelf restaurants aspire to be like. 100% vegan. Amazing vibe, amazing staff, amazing food, amazing baked treats. Nothing bad to say about the place whatsoever. Took my family (5) and tried a lot of stuff. Every bite from even picky eaters was met with “wowwwww!!” responses. Staff suggestions and help were so thoughtful and warm. WILL return and 100% recommend. If you come to Ann Arbor once only don’t miss this gem!!!

Very friendly staff, delicious vegan food, and a cozy environment! It sits right across from the VA hospital and is adjacent to an apartment building--very convenient for those who are working/living/visiting the area. I ordered breakfast tacos. Very big portions and very flavorful! Water, napkins, condiments, and utensils are self serve. The interior design is cozy with tall windows and high ceilings. Very suitable for a date or a place to chill and enjoy some alone time. I recommend this place and would definitely visit again!

Weber's Restaurant, located within the historic Webers Inn in Ann Arbor, has been a beloved dining destination since 1937. This family-owned establishment offers a unique and trendy atmosphere. The menu features classic American dishes such as prime rib, London broil, live lobster, and refreshing salads like wedge and cobb. The restaurant also boasts a bar area and a basement available for private parties.
We were staying at the Hampton Inn hotel across very busy street of Weber restaurant. We were very surprised that it was family owned and not part of the chain Weber Grill?!? We had last night for our 10 yrs old boys swimmers in UofM and wanted something special for the memory’s. And boy did they deliver!!! They sitted us all around one big table and we got really amazing waitress Kelly who knew exactly what she was doing and thought of apsolutly every detail ( being that we had 10 yrs olds with us) Food all came out together and was amazing and parents and kids had great time. Highly recommended restaurant 🙌🏻Perfect end to Ann Harbor visit!

We recently had our office holiday party at Weber's Restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The restaurant features a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a versatile venue for everything from casual dining to special events. Their attention to detail, quality of food, and exceptional service make Weber's a favorite for locals and visitors alike. The lunch at the Ballroom was well-organized, with a great variety of dishes. The food was delicious, especially the desserts, which were a standout. The place was clean, the service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Parking was convenient, adding to the overall hassle-free experience. A perfect spot for gatherings with good food and a welcoming ambiance!

(This review is for the restaurant only, not the hotel) Easy 5 stars for this large and lively restaurant. There's plenty of seating, although the place gets very busy on weekend nights, so parties larger than 2 will have to wait to find seating. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable about their food, making good recommendations. Food itself was great. We had many different items, but my absolute favorite was the crab cakes. It had large chunks of crab in it, which I truly appreciate.

Absolutely amazing! So many of us are tired of the new small plates crap that’s way overpriced for food that we can make so much better at home. We are so excited to have found this place. Old school cozy. Please bring this back…..everywhere!! We started with the Short Rib Puffs divooon! On a scale of 1-10 absolute 10. All of it. I had the Prime Rib and my husband had the Duck both came with salad and a potato (what!!!) unheard of these days. Both were delicious. The care from Carla our server behind the bar was outstanding! She made suggestions when we asked all was outstanding. Just WOW is all I can say. Webbers is a breath of fresh air. Oh!… I forgot to mention the chocolate cake….ohhhhmy! Wine, Expresso Martini, Vodka Martini and a night cap all for a price that won’t turn your stomach at the end of your meal! No wonder they’ve been in business since 1937. Other restaurants should take lessons. Bravo you all!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

One of my favorite steak houses in the Ann Arbor area. It's always busy, even on weekdays, which is a testament to how good it is! My number one recommendations are the Premium Rib and the house salad, which is fantastic with its blend of berries and almonds. Beyond that, the Ribeye, New York Strips, and lobster are all outstanding favorites of mine as well. Highly recommended for a great steak dinner!

Charming Family Owned Hotel. They have a nice restaurant on site, full bar and room service. The pool, hot tub and sauna are wonderful. If you're looking for a nice place to stay with friends, kids or alone, I definitely recommend checking Webers out. Their pool side rooms are always a good time!

My eight year old wrote her own review and I love it so much that I wanted to share. Text reads: “Hello, I live in Ann Arbor, the food was… incredible! I will come again and leave a 5 star review!” To add my own, the food in general is wonderful, but their pastry chef is bomb. Everything we tried was delicious and perfectly made, from the in-house ice cream and the freshly whipped cream. I had the key lime pie and was very impressed with the amount of actual key lime used, most places skimp out and key lime has a distinct flavor so it’s easy to tell when they do. No skimping here!

Nestled in the charming city of Ann Arbor, Northside Grill has been a beloved staple for nearly three decades, offering a delightful array of breakfast and lunch options. This informal American diner is renowned for its comforting dishes that include everything from fluffy pancakes and French toast to hearty burgers and fresh salads. Located by the scenic Huron River, it’s an ideal spot to savor brunch while enjoying the local atmosphere.
You get what you get here, and that's what you came for: hole in the wall style diner with quick and friendly service, a cozy atmosphere, and solid portions of good, hearty food. If you come any time near peak hours, you may be waiting for a table, and that speaks volumes to what they offer here. Don't miss it, it's a little Ann treasure!

Great atmosphere and food here!! We had to wait about 25 minutes at 11:30 on a Sunday. They had their outdoor area set up for people waiting with heaters and coffee, so the wait flew by! Natasha, our server, was very efficient and friendly. They were good with coffee & water refills and the food was delicious. I like that they have special menu items every weekend and rotating baked goods.

Super cute establishment. Waitress was great and food was delicious 😋 It is very small on the inside. Thankfully, we beat the saturday morning rush, so we didn't have to wait for a table. We were a party of 5, and there were no problems accommodating us. I did notice they have pagers, so you don't have to wait outside, can wait in your car for your table. The parking lot is in the back of the building with additional parking across the street. There was only one very small bathroom, but I really appreciated the free feminine products that were there. Very cozy place. Amazing lattes, too! Also offerd a gluten-free menu and a menu with ingredients. This was great, as someone in our group is gluten intolerant. We will be back!

Lovely little restaurant near U of M campus with delicious breakfast and fresh squeeze orange juice. Got a delicious smothered breakfast burrito and was not disappointed! Parking can be a hassle during popular times, but the lot across the street provides additional parking.

Absolutely delicious with amazing service! I got a potato pancake along with a Northside which is pretty much like an eggs Benedict. The potato pancake had to have been one of the most flavorful potato pancakes I have ever put my lips to with an amazing flavor of chives and the red onions adding a hint of sweetness. My parents loved their eggs and blueberry pancakes. Coffee cups were refilled with a swiftness I rarely see- all the servers were efficient and kind! I also got the seasonal peach iced tea and a s’mores latte which were both to die for!

We came here with our toddler, expecting to have to try to entertain him, but they were so accommodating! They had little boxes with toys and coloring pages to distract kids and they were fantastic about checking in with us. The food was amazing and filling. The crab cake breakfast sandwich was SO GOOD. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a cozy diner with parking that is kid friendly!

Northside Grill is an excellent little diner for a quality breakfast experience. Despite the limited seating inside, I found it comfortably accommodating on a weekday with plenty of open tables. The atmosphere was quiet and had a charming old-time vibe. The food was delicious with generous portions and reasonably priced. The coffee was outstanding, and the waiter was friendly and attentive, ensuring my cup was always full. Fleetwood Diner is a classic 24-hour spot offering a variety of American diner fare, from breakfast dishes to burgers and gyros. Despite its reputation as a greasy spoon, the menu also features salads and sandwiches for those seeking lighter options. The retro ambiance with its striped awning adds to the authentic diner experience. A must-try is the signature Hippie Hash, a comforting dish made with hash browns, grilled veggies, feta cheese, and eggs cooked to your preference.
Absolutely delicious! This place is a real classic diner. It's small and in the winter there aren't as many places to sit. In the warm weather you can go outside. It's definitely not fancy or luxurious. I think they have the best pancakes in the area.
Bryan M — Google review
It was good, but a bit pricey for what you get....a relatively small bowl of chili for $7? But other than that the atmosphere was pretty chill and was covered in stickers which were fun to read. The Greek salad with beets is pretty good, around $10. The beets - so so good, just wished it came with more than 3 pieces lol. The Greek salad also comes with a pita bread. Also ordered the Reuben which was also solid.
Sierra S — Google review
I don’t know how this place passed a health inspection. The kitchen looked filthy, full of grease and dirt. The food was awful too. Paid $23 for steak and eggs that tasted like a $5 meal — salty and low-quality meat. Also got pancakes with bacon, ham, and sausage. The ham and bacon tasted stale, sausage was just okay. Way overpriced for what you get. Definitely not going back.
MyReviewIs — Google review
We were very enthusiastically greeted at the door, we were served fast and the food came out fast. The Chicken Club Pita was well seasoned but a bit dry. They have a bathroom in the basement. It’s small but functional if a little unkempt. It appears to be mostly for employees.

Weird, cool little diner located in Ann Arbor, MI! This place has a reputation for giving very generous portions! Fleetwood Diner is best known for its Hippie Hashbrowns but almost anything on the menu is good! A very popular place, getting in to actually dine can be tricky, so I recommend getting your order to go. Parking is also challenging, but don't get discouraged, something will open up, even if you end up walking it's worth it! Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is hot, fresh and well prepared!

I don't usually write reviews, but this place is amazing. The Meaty Hippie Hash is stellar. The choice of music is wonderful. The atmosphere was amazing, and it was very cool to look around at all the stickers located inside and outside the diner. Fast and excellent service. What a wonderful breakfast spot! Fabulous pancakes, home fries, etc with attentive service in a beautiful, spotless venue. I called months after my visit to get a copy of my receipt in reconciling my expenses and the woman who answered couldn’t have been more helpful. I’ll be back when I next visit central Michigan!

The place to go for amazing breakfast food! The pancakes were super fluffy, eggs were cooked perfectly to order, and the hash browns were creamy and crispy. My friends and I had a wonderful brunch here!
Yuki P — Google review
Old diner vibe, but clean and updated (sort of like what Waffle House really needs to do.) I fairness, we did not get the pancakes; however, my breakfast bowl, which included homemade corned beef was a little bland for my tastes and the hashbrowns at the bottom were mushy and without the crispy edge of well done hashbrowns. My wife's omelet was better. If you want super fast service in a bright clean, yet still old school diner, it is worth stopping by. Even though it was busy, they flipped tables fast.

I don’t know Nick. But I want to. I want to thank him for the excellent cinnamon pancakes I had during my visit to his restaurant. This is exactly the place you want to be for a Saturday morning breakfast. Came here at the crack of 11:15 AM. Good service, lots of space, lots of food options. I don’t know how else to describe it other than with three photos. I’m already excited to go back. My mouth is starting to water just writing this review.

I had ordered 2 eggs with hash browns (crispy, and they were not) with a biscuit and gravy. The gravy was not good this time. I usually have the gravy at Nick's because it had been the best. Unfortunately not this time. I had told the waitress I didn't like it. When I was getting ready to leave she did not say anything regarding the gravy being taken off my order. I gave her my card to pay with a generous tip. When I asked her before I left if the gravy was taken off she simply said, "I did not because I asked one of my coworkers to try it and they didn't think it wasn't good". She also said "No one else has said anything regarding it". I had arrived at Nick's about 10 minutes just after they opened. Isn't good customer service supposed to make sure the patron leaves the establishment thinking it was nice for the employee to acknowledge the customer's concern and do what's best for them? I guess not this time 😕 I added the picture of my receipt

Tried coming here a few times when we were in town and every time it was closed, today it was open and finally got to try it. This place has been around since I was in high school (that I took note of at least) and figured it had to be good. I ordered a tuna melt sandwich, my sons got hamburger meals and they came on big pieces of bread, not a bun. Looked good though. One kid liked it, the other thought it was too much and wouldn’t eat the crust. My tuna sandwich was huge! Took up the entire take out container! But it unfortunately wasn’t the best tuna I’ve had. Pretty bland and needed mayo or salt or both. Just not good flavor, at all. Really wanted to like it. Even got donuts, but the chocolate frosting wasn’t the best either. The owner, Dimo, helped us (or at least that’s what a customer behind us called him) and he was super nice and helpful, my kids liked him. Wish I would have enjoyed the food more, but maybe it’s just not for me.
Libby W — Google review
First off, customer service was great. Polite and offered my friend and I an ice water to cool a 90 degree day. Bought a variety of donuts for my team and received rave reviews. Chewy, soft, fresh, just right. The yeast donuts were delicate and flavorful. The cake donuts had a fresh fried crisp to them. A nice treat for all!

Love Dimo's! I have been coming here on and off since 2017. The harassment is a nice extra flavor, but they usually tone it down when kids are around or if they can tell you're in a bad mood. Their donuts are always fresh and delicious. Their breakfast sandwiches are great as well with thick, nicely cooked bacon and eggs. I will always come here when I need something to brighten my day. Thank you for all of your hard work!!

Better than Zingerman's Deli in my opinion. Sandwiches are monster sized and great selection to choose from...plus burgers and fries! Hidden in the menu is a falafel sandwich or platter that's great on a summer day. Love the owner and his humor. We had such an amazing brunch experience here! It’s such a cute establishment with outdoor seating on warm days. I split one of their scrambled egg dishes and a Dutch baby pancake (which is massive)! Both were delicious and the service is friendly and quick.

Very interesting and eclectic menu. Prices moderate to high. Good variety of cocktails and wine. The salad was delicious with a house vinaigrette. The burger was cooked perfectly, but pretty under seasoned. Fries were great. House made ketchup fantastic. Had to wait to get utensils. Service was meh. Seemed unengaged.

Had an amazing experience here during our brunch visit! The food was delicious; we had the Crab Cake Benedict, Cauliflower Fritters, and a Cappuccino. You could tell the crab cake was freshly made in the kitchen, and the fritters were well seasoned. Chef Keith and our server Shelby personally attended to us and ensured the food was prepared exactly as requested. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the chef personally makes sure special requests are handled with care.
Tejas D — Google review
The service here was incredibly slow to start and I ended up having to ask the hostess about gluten free options since I hadn’t seen our waitress in a while and there was no indication on their menu. I then got my food and it was incredibly salty because of the overload of capers on my avocado toast. I then get to my last couple of bites and see this bug in my tomato. I alerted the waitress about it and she reassured me that it was a cumin seed. She did ask if I wanted to speak to a manager but I didn’t see if necessary since she reassured me. I then did some research to find out that it was in fact a bug in my food and I do wish the waitress would’ve analyzed it a little further before immediately telling me I was wrong.

My friends and I held a baby shower here and spent a lot of money. I ordered an omelette that was delicious, but there was a hair clearly baked into the omelette. “I’m sorry Do you want another one? Or do you want it to be taken off the Bill.” Upon receiving my bill with zero discount, I asked if there’s anything they’re going to do for having me eat a hair . From the waitresses supervisor or owner (once I asked for some compensation) —- “ No, we can’t do anything if you Re-ordered the food.” So my option was to continue eating an omelette with a hair? Not eat at all?

Great food and server, terrible host! My mom and I arrived at around 1 pm on Sunday. The hostess asked if we had a reservation and informed us there were no tables (there were tables and the entire bar was open). We left and I checked open table for a "reservation". There were many reservations available all afternoon. I made a reservation for 1:15 and returned. The hostess begrudgingly sat us and was clearly annoyed. What on earth? Thankfully our server and food were both great. There are so many great (friendly!) dining options in Ann Arbor I don't plan to return.

Food was okay.. My wife and I both ordered omelets. Her omelet was not impressive, before ordering, she asked the waitress if she could exclude Bell peppers, and she told her unfortunately no, the peppers and onions were already put together. When we received our meals, potatoes were both cold and seemed like they had nothing but peppers in her omelets. My omelet was lacking cheese and was rather disappointed with the flavor. For $22.00 for each omelet I was expecting something grand, it was not anything to get excited about. Service was not great, waited over 10 minutes before we got our menus, Ten more minutes before getting water's. I would not go back again. Way overpriced for quality of food.

I never had good luck with this place especially their front desk people, they are always awful. I just walked in and the whole place is empty and she asked me if I had a reservation and I said no. She told that they are not taking walk in because they do not have any openings. I waited in my car 15 minutes and still no one came so what reservation is she talking about. The worst service ever. Never going there again. I hope the owner knows how awful the people are at the front desk. I usually go to Cafe Zola and they are super friendly there and the food is always better. Not sure why this one is awful on every level. Update: I just went to see if I can make reservations online and all the times are open to reserve today. Definitely not booked.

Anna's House in Ann Arbor is a beloved breakfast and lunch spot with an extensive menu of sweet and savory options. The restaurant offers a separate preparation area for celiac orders, making it a great choice for those with dietary restrictions. Customers appreciate the healthy and tasty food, as well as the abundance of vegan options. The cozy ambiance adds to the overall dining experience, reminiscent of visiting grandma's house.
Fabulous diner located in a busy shopping area. The decor was amazing, the service was excellent and the food was delicious! I drove down from Waterford to meet a Facebook friend of 10 plus years for the first time! We loved our breakfast at this bustling diner with patio seating and a lovely fountain area. Would definitely recommend this location!

I had the greatest steak skillet! Flavorful and still hearty. The gluten free cinnamon roll was loved by my girlfriend and I. I couldn’t even tell it was gluten free. There are a a surprising amount of unique breakfast choices that I’m looking forward to try out. 10/10 and will come back

My partner and I frequently visit Anna House Westland. 1st time in A2. Love the location, outdoor tables etc. Our Server was awesome. Very friendly. My partner had The Breakfast Sandwich Gluten-free Vegan with sweet potato fries. I had a Belgian Waffle with Strawberries & Turkey Bacon. Food was excellent as always. Portions were perfect.

Everything was good here! The atmosphere is really cute, clean and inviting. The service was friendly and attentive. The food tasted FRESH and wholesome. Lots of vegan and gluten-free options. Great breakfast place worth a trip and many returns!

What happened to this place? We were there a little before 2pm on 4/26/25. Seated quickly and thought everything would be great until the food came. My pancakes were so thick and tough I could barely swallow them. A gentleman (manager?) saw me looking around for our waitress and came over. Tried to tell me that's their regular pancakes even though I've had them before. He offered to have them remade but proceeded to take my whole plate away with my crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. By the time the replacement came my husband was done eating. The eggs were runny and the bacon was way undercooked in the middle and the ends were hard as rocks. The chocolate chips must have been an "oops I forgot" because they were just clumped in the middle of the pancakes. The eggs and bacon were so disgusting looking I had to put them on my husband's empty salad plate just so I could try to eat. They were not busy at all - usually you have to join a waitlist to get in. Should have been our first indicator. I've had a better breakfast at Denny's and my husband said for the price and what he got he preferred Culver's salad. With all the options around town; you would think they would've upped their game.
Amy F — Google review
Overall 1 because of just horrid the food was. The eggs on the eggs Benedict were way overcooked. The entire plate was not even luke warm, and the potatoes were rubbery, cold and tasted like they were definitely made an hour before I was served them. Couldn’t even finish my meal it was so unpleasant. Will not be returning or recommending

Such a great experience here 💛💙 Modern home style Breakfast place. Atmosphere is great food are good portion size the price is even better than many place compare to the plate and decor on it. Coffee here is on point for me hot and cold. Recommend for anyone that love the nice relax place for little meet up or family meals. The location is in the middle of everything from highway, mall, convenient store or even downtown. Great place! 📍I will be regular here for sure!

Was really disappointed today I’ve been here before and food was cold. Server didn’t come back for us to say anything. The potato’s in the skillet were not fully cooked. Bacon was also cold and not crisp. Busy parents weekend but still. The lavender coffees were too sweet - we had them before several times and the server charged us for expresso to dilute the sweetness. They gave us a cinnamon bun because it was a birthday then ended up charging us. I hosted my out of town family and talked up the place. Definitely disappointed.

Jagged Fork is a popular family-run restaurant known for its diner-style breakfast and lunch options. The menu features a variety of specialties, including clever pancakes, sandwiches, and salads. Guests can enjoy hearty portions and excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere. While there may be some wait time due to the bustling vibe, the food is well worth it. The cutest place! Food came out within 5 minutes. Easily first or second place in our all time favorite breakfast dishes! It was phenomenal! We had the banana Nutella crepes and the chorizo voodoo Benedict. If in Ann Arbor, it’s a must go to place for breakfast!!!

Why do you serve FROZEN hash browns from a bag and sell it to people? is it really that hard to shred your own potatoes and cook it.. I would give this place zero stars if i could as to even dine in, they have an 18% surcharge (not including tip). the service is on the same level as the frozen hash browns. Also, for what they charge people, they cannot afford to buy a permanent container for the coffee creamer? It is on the table in a paper cup... the cajones on some people to charge money for this. if i wanted frozen hash browns, I would've bought a bag at kroger and thrown it in the trash at home.

Came in with my two sons, open atmosphere with lots of windows. It was a rainy day and the ac was on, I was freezing! Our server was nice, checked on us often. We got soda and they came in nice cute glasses. I ordered the jagged BLT, and a mini stack of pancakes, the BLT was fantastic, but very pricey, at $15. The pancakes were bland and dry but three big ones came for a minimum cost. My one son got just a basic burger the server said she could make (single patty cheeseburger nothing on it) and my other son got the smash deluxe burger, and it was tiny for $17! Not worth it in my opinion. Both said the food was good. Parking, as with anything downtown, is annoying for a run-of-the-mill brunch place.
Libby W — Google review
The food was good and the atmosphere was nice—pretty much what you'd expect from a well-liked brunch spot. A little expensive but drinks were nice. But the service? Pretty underwhelming. Our server seemed totally disengaged—barely checked in, didn’t offer much in the way of hospitality. It wasn’t bad enough to complain, but definitely not good enough to come running back. Solid food, but the inattentive service took the shine off the experience.

Food is great. However, they sneakily charge you 20% service charge AND ask you for a tip. Many times I’ve heard people fall for this and tip on top of the service charge. Terrible practice.

Jagged fork has become a favorite for us in A2. It is consistently good, with wonderfully big portion sizes that allow for leftovers. I’ve tried their pancakes, crepes, chorizo bowl, and classic breakfast and love each of them. The service is good and generally, food comes out quickly. Tips are already pre-included in the final bill.

Our daughter brought us. The food was excellent. Decent portions. The service was very good. Angelo (owner) was friendly. I enjoyed chatting with him. My complaint: need better coffee beans and drop the 18% mandatory tips. In summary, this is my new breakfast place. Definitely, no more Zola Cafe

One of my absolute favorite burger spots in Ann Arbor! I keep going back again and again—and always for the same burger because it’s just that good. Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly made every single time. The service is consistently friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. If you’re a burger lover, this place is a must-visit!

Decided to try this place because of the amount of reviews. It was recommended to have reservations but not sure if because it was a Sunday they were not needed. It was nice they weren't very busy not exactly sure why. Food was good, maybe not great. Appetizer sampler was good, nice variety for a table. Both burgers were GREAT, the ruban was OK not the best, little salty. The fries are really good, seasoned well.

Stand up and sit down, this place has the chops on lock! I was very pleased with the waitress (lauren) who recommended me many very fine beverages. Also! Bonus points for the cat adoption and advocacy. I love cats!!

***UPDATE: Manger reached out to us and provided $50 in food vouchers and requested us to come back and speak with her. Kind of her and not necessary but will give this place another go.*** Very convenient in DT A2 however the food is subpar. The app sampler is not great and no real highlights from that. The food is basically Applebees+. The signature burger was good but nothing to write home about. I’d come here again for a beer but the food is a pass from me. Bartender was kind and always kept our drinks full.

Vibes were great, food was even greater! Great burgers, with a black bean burger option that exceeded expectations. If you're looking for a place that cat, burger, and beer lovers can all agree on- this is the place! We'll definitely be revisiting next time we're in Ann Arbor.

Update- its still great here! Best tomato soup and grilled cheese around. The fries are also a classic and they ALWAYS have a good beer selection for craft beer lovers. Staff have always been friendly and I've always had good service. The time I got delivery the driver dropped off my food at the wrong building but I'm not sure if it was a third party delivery or not. Regardless I love this place and would highly recommend!

EXTREMELY BAD. Message To Management: If an item that's on the menu isn't available (for whatever reason) then try to find a way to get the customer to return when you're able to properly serve them. Offer something. Anything. Even a 15% or 25% discount off of their order if they return on another day. YOU NEVER KNOW WHO THE CUSTOMER MIGHT BE.
Dana M — Google review
Stopped in with a coworker for lunch, the food was really good, I really enjoyed the grilled cheese I had with apples on it and the tomato soup was fantastic. The service was a little lacking, we waited for a hostess for a bit and an employee walked by us to the the host stand without acknowledging us or even offering a smile, after a few minutes she walked by a couple more times then said she would just take care of us, and offered us a table. The waitress we had was nice but I could tell she must have been overwhelmed with tables because she barely stopped by to check on us. It was a cozy bar though, and I really did enjoy the menu, so I would definitely give it another go.

Loved this dinner spot in Ann Arbor. The menu has something for everyone. The chicken pasta was amazing!! The portion was enough for two to share after the appetizers. The spinach and artichoke dip came with a good amount of chips and dip. We were pleased with the service, atmosphere, and the portion sizes. Will definitely be back!

Our server, I think her name was Angela, was great. The food was really good although I wouldn’t recommend the broccoli, it was flavorless and cold. But Angela was more than happy to replace it and instead I got the brussels sprouts and really enjoyed those. I loved their fall fest mule and their crab cakes were really good. I also really liked their french onion soup and the fact that they provided fresh bread. Nice place

After kayaking we just wanted a patio to get some good food and found this place. Absolutely delicious food here. The mac & cheese was so good and the salmon was yummmy. Also had a Caesar salad and that was good as well.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and seated by wonderful host staff. My server wasn’t bad by any means, but needs more experience or more training. I ordered the black and bleu burger. It lacked some seasoning (not salt), but was good. I’m not a big fry guy, but I must say, these shoestring French fries are awesome! The ambiance inside was perfect. Would definitely recommend.

I had booked this place for a date night because it seemed like a nice location from the pictures. The outside of the building and the interior were the highlights. Everything else needs work. We had made a reservation and it took some time to be greeted at the front. Then we were brought to our seats and we asked about happy hour as it was 5:00 pm. The waitress told us that happy hour is only active at the bar (which we knew from looking at the menu beforehand). Rather than checking in at the bar, she had me get up and check if there was any seating there, even though the waiter/waitress service station was next to the bar. The bar was packed at the time so we had no issue sitting and starting dinner. We asked the waitress about drinks and it seemed like she was annoyed with us and gave us short answers. We ordered an espresso martini (which the waitress told us was a premade mix) and a whiskey drink. I wish I took pictures of the martini because it was the most watered down, milky drink I had ever tasted. You could not taste any espresso or alcohol. We then ordered dinner: the veggie burger and the Carlyle pasta. The pasta was fine. The sauce did not have a lot of flavors and it was ultimately carried by the smoked chicken. The veggie burger was horrendous. It was completely dry and had absolutely no seasoning (not even salt). We were excited to try the pesto mayo on it but there was barely a drop of it on the bun. We asked the waitress multiple times for hot sauce, but she would keep ignoring our table and would help all the other tables around us. We even told her about a couple of flies which were hovering around all the tables she was helping and that seemed to tick her off the most to the point where she did not want to talk with us anymore. It was just disheartening as a person of color as all the other tables around us were white and the waitress was going up to them smiling and laughing while she was doing the exact opposite for us. I do not want to make any assumptions or say that this place is not inviting to certain people but just want to bring it up to help other people avoid the experience we had. Hopefully it does improve in the future.

We visited our son for Parent/Family Weekend and had dinner here on Friday night. I called ahead to make reservations and spoke with Travis, who was very helpful. I asked if they could accommodate a large wheelchair, and he confirmed with his manager that they were ADA accessible. The staff was very understanding when I informed them we’d be late due to traffic and still held our reservation. Upon arrival, the host was polite and friendly, and our server, Juan, was amazing, attentive and accommodating throughout the evening. The food sealed the deal, from the appetizer to the main dish, everything tasted fresh and delicious. The restaurant was very clean, and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

We went to the Carlyle Grill for the first time this week with a group of people. The restaurant is clean and the space is large. Our service was outstanding. We had quite a large group, but somehow the staff was able to keep water glasses filled and food arrived in a timely manner. The woman who took our orders was friendly and accommodating. The portions are large and everything tasted fresh. I had the French Onion soup which was perfectly balanced. The broth was delicious with just the right amount of bread and cheese. I also ordered the Club sandwich. I was full from the soup, so only had a bite, but it was also amazing. Bread toasted perfectly with toppings well proportioned.

Went here because it is near Toyota and it is also near a lot of business too. Saw a lot customers are from the hospital. Got turkey sandwich and a cold brew for lunch. Yum. Turkey slices were stack pretty high, with fresh bread and some veggies, made a good sandwich. Sandwich is pretty good size too, if you are skinny, half portion and a soup should be good enough for you. Love the vibe, very spacious, free wifi, and good value for the price.

Name is cute, place is pretty, employees are kind, but the food and drinks were disappointing - which is unfortunately the whole point of this establishment. It has so much potential though!! Prices do not match the portion or quality you receive. The “Classic Breakfast” was two runny eggs, two dry pieces of bacon, a couple toasts, and some potatoes. Overall lightly seasoned and very bland. AC was cranked so high all the food was cold in a couple minutes. The “Gochujang Chicken Wrap” was very small pieces of fried chicken with barely any tomato or lettuce and what appeared to be light mayo inside a tortilla? I don’t know but it could barely hold its shape and was incredibly thin and hollow. The drinks were in cups that look child sized. The place is cute but, no one enjoys feeling deceived.

The Songbird Cafe has a welcoming feel and cozy vibe. There were tables of people visiting and gathering, and other places with people working in notebooks or on devices. My husband and I stopped for breakfast. We placed our order and were assigned a table to sit at. It was just over $40 for two breakfast plates, a single coffee, and tip. I did have higher hopes for that price point than what we received - overcooked eggs, undercooked potatoes, and smucker jelly packets. Overall, an ok experience that didn’t quite match up to the price point.

I wanted to try this place out so I gave it a shot. When I walked in there was a menu on a chalkboard wall. I walked up to the counter to order and two gals were discussing a problem at the register. The one said she was going to take my order and they could finish the conversation when she was done, but the other one wasn’t listening and just kept talking. She had to cut her off and say she was going to take my order, which I’m glad for because I really didn’t want to keep waiting while they hashed that out. I ordered a Northside BLT with homemade chips, pickle and an m&m cookie. It cost close to $18.00, which I feel is pretty high for a sandwich/chips/cookie. I did enjoy the sandwich, having avocado on it. The chips were quite good as well. I would come back here and meet a friend for lunch. There’s a pretty large dining area for sitting too.
Libby W — Google review
Cute location, cute indoors, but it took us an hour to get our food. Ordered before the lunch rush came in and the entire rush got their food and left before we got an answer about where our order was. We didn’t get the friendliest response when we asked where our order from an hour ago was (just one burrito and one sandwich). When we finally did get our food, it was cold and dry. Probably won’t be coming back, just can’t afford to spend my entire morning waiting on stale breakfast. Might be a good option for some, but not for me.

Nestled in the heart of Ann Arbor, Bell's Diner is a delightful culinary gem that seamlessly blends traditional diner favorites with unique Korean specialties. This unpretentious eatery has been serving up comfort food since 1987, making it a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. Whether you're craving classic breakfast staples or adventurous dishes like the Bul-Go-Gi Omelette, there's something to satisfy every palate.
It’s an interesting place to try. It’s like a Coney Island with American cuisine but also with Korean cuisine instead of Greek. I can’t say they have a “superb” or “excellent” food and atmosphere, but they have a cozy homey feeling to both their atmosphere and food. I highly recommend this place if you can’t decide what to eat (they have a great variety of American and Korean menus) or want to try Korean food for the first time but don’t know where to start.

I have heard a lot of Good things about this place so I decided to drive 1 hour from my hometown to try it. I honestly thought that the food was good, and I’d like to go back to try more dishes. But the service I received ?? 0/10 I’m black and my friend is white. During our whole dining experience there was one older Asian lady (maybe Korean) who was overly rude to me the whole time with sly unnecessary rude comments , but she was friendly to my friend. It made us both uncomfortable and I was going to just leave but because I drove an hour I wanted to at least try the food. For an example I asked her if she had any recommendations she stared at me like she was annoyed with me and then said “ we have what’s on the menu “ what kind of customer service is that ? Then I ordered the fried rice and asked if getting the Korean spicy chicken in the fried rice was an option which I thought was a reasonable question and her response was “ how do you make fried rice at home ? Do you put spicy chicken in it ? Well we don’t here choose from the options you see on the menu “ . And because I wasn’t sure what to order she just ignored me and took my friends order instead and put his order in instead of waiting for us both to be ready to order so then his food came out a lot sooner than mine. She created a very uncomfortable atmosphere for me and my friend for our first experience. I’ll probably never come back but I will say the food was good. Pancakes were especially amazing. I’d like to note there was another Asian lady working in there that came to our table every once in a while and she was friendly. I was also taking videos of my food and my friends food to post online and you can even hear how rude she was being to me in the background. It’s too bad because it seems like this place has great food but if you don’t care about being treated like a dog then go ahead and try this place out !

First time here for a late brunch/lunch and we enjoyed the food we got. It is a conveniently located diner with a small town family feel. I think it’s unique they serve Korean food along with the standar American diner food you would expect. We didn’t order any Korean dishes, but will have to be back again to try those. My husband enjoyed the homemade biscuits and gravy. I loved my tuna melt, which was grilled to perfection with the best crispy crunch on the bread. The tuna salad was delicious and tasted homemade. Generous portions and attentive service!

Great coffee shop that has been around for a while. I'm from out of town, but have been here about 10 years ago. It's small, but great. Had a well-appointed macchiato and I live that they serve it with your choice of sparkling or still water. Just like they do in Europe. Definitely try it out.

What a wonderful little coffee shop. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We visited from the Boston area and stayed very close to Comet Coffee. We each had a mocha, mine decaf. It was absolutely wonderful, we went back multiple times to have more. If we’re ever back in Ann Arbor, we will definitely make it a point to stop in At Comet!

Absolutely fantastic coffee, pastries, and atmosphere! The location in Nickels Arcade is absolutely splendid, and it gives the place a fantastic feel. The Cafe Dulce was a great order, and they even gave me a free croissant towards closing time! I was very happy to spend some time studying here on a hot day, and I would definitely recommend it!

Love this spot☕️! Feels super cozy and chill, kind of hidden in a little alley. The coffee is really good, service is fast, and it’s perfect to hang out or study with friends. Definitely one of my go-to coffee places in Ann Arbor!

This was a gift from heaven on a cold 🥶 Friday morning in Ann Arbour. A cozy place with great coffee ☕️ and croissants 🥐. Loved the combination and also the roasted coffee smell at the cafe. Loved the fact that they served kid sized tumblers with warm milk so that they too could experience the café atmosphere with the adults. A great place to visit for a chat with friends and family if you’re in the vicinity of University of Michigan. 🤩 will be back for sure!!!

Benny's Family Dining is a cozy and unassuming diner that offers a variety of American, Italian, and Mexican dishes along with gyros. The portions are generous, leaving enough for takeout. The friendly atmosphere makes it feel like a local hangout where everyone knows each other. Customers have praised the basic breakfast options such as scrambled eggs, hash browns, and warm biscuits served with coffee. The dining area is kept clean and the service is consistently excellent.
Benny’s was amazing. One of the best breakfast spots in Ann Arbor. Best customer service and great food. Got the Western Omelet and their rice pudding. So amazing!!

This is a really good quality family dining restaurant. The food is very fresh. I had the traditional turkey club which was absolutely delicious. The cappuccino is out of this world. Very nice owner and staff. My server has been with this place for 20 years and loves her job. They aim to please

Friendly service with a cozy environment. Not often crowded and loud, and usually no wait. The food they serve is solid breakfast food for reasonable prices. Great for when you don't want to buy groceries and cook your own breakfast food, and still expect a satisfying meal in terms of taste and portion, and I consider myself a pretty big eater.
Sugy G — Google review
The rudest service I have ever received. I ordered a milkshake which is on the menu and they told me they don't make it anymore. I then asked for a hot chocolate and the guy laughed at me. Also it was 4 dollars for a hot chocolate from one of those gas station machines. I was checking it out to see if I would want to eat breakfast there and I will definitely not be going back.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Downtown Ann Arbor, aMa Bistro is a beloved breakfast destination that draws in both students and families alike. This cozy eatery serves up an array of elevated diner classics, from fluffy omelets to decadent stuffed French toast. The inviting atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for enjoying hearty meals any day of the week. Patrons rave about their delicious Turkey Avocado on Spinach Wrap and refreshing Michigan Berry salad, while pasta dishes featuring grilled chicken are also highly recommended.
Stopped here for lunch while visiting the university. My daughter had poached eggs and fruit, my wife had pumpkin nut bread bread french toast and I had one of the best gyros ever! In fact, everyone was very happy with their meal and service was excellent! We did eat inside but didn't stress as the owners have done a nice job keeping customers safe.

I've been reflecting for the past month, trying to fight the urge to write this review, but I am all about honesty and truthful reviews. I've always held aMa Bistro in the highest ranks, I love their menu and I used to love the customer service. I had a not so pleasant visit about a month ago and I haven't returned since. Service started off normally but my waitress wouldn't make eye contact with me at all. I tried to look past it and then when I received my bill, she dropped the clipboard that the receipt is attached to on the table, not even looking at me, and just walking away. The experience just continued to get worse and I just got overall very bad vibes from the waitress. I was respectful the whole service and I understand that everyone has those days when they're not feeling it, but I felt unappreciated, especially being that I was a regular here. She seemed very kind with everyone else but in a way, ignored me. Again, the food was great but the service left a horrible taste in my mouth. Don't see myself walking back in here.
Hassan C — Google review
Good food. The AC doesn't work unfortunately; it's hot and slightly sweltering inside. Servers are very friendly. Their drip coffee is very good and not acidic. Their dishes are good; a little pricey. They make the hashbrowns in house. We ordered the egg khima and the egg Benedict.
Sierra S — Google review
You need all of your party present to put your name down which is quite annoying but I understand. The food was so good and cheaper than expected. They have a qr code menu which is nice. They didn't split our bill or ask if it needed to be split which was a little hassle between our group. Love the decor and the staff was very friendly!
Emily R — Google review
Nice location and ambiance but slow service and poor food quality. QR code online menu hides prices. Attached is a photo showing a bug found in our food (questionable kitchen cleanliness), no compensation was provided, the item was just remade. Many better options in Ann Arbor especially considering the cost
Saad Q — Google review
Great service. Got there just as it opened on Saturday morning. 8am. Coffee was decent and hot and ready. Western omelet was good. Great location if you are meeting a student. Good for breakfast.

aMa Bistro was a very nice restaurant especially in a college town! We had the vegetable omelet, stuffed french toast, and the furghessa which were all very nice. I think the stuffed french toast is as must try but everything was great over all. Have a try!
Nanditha P — Google review
The decor is cute and the Albanian khima was pretty good, although I think the baked furghessa would have been an even better choice looking at what my friend's ordered. Did seem to take a long time to get the food, but still worth a visit (assuming you're not in a rush of course).

Stray Hen Cafe in Ann Arbor offers a diverse and reasonably priced menu with healthy options for breakfast, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices. The popular spot often has a long line extending around the building each morning, but regulars insist that the food is worth the wait. The breakfast menu features items like Grainy Day Breakfast Bowl, pancakes, French toast, and savory options like the Cajun shrimp wrap.
The food was so good that I had to go back the next day for more! I was visiting the university for a couple of days and made two trips here - it was so good! Zeus is on Fire, the Croissant Sandwich, and the Veggie Tacos were all delicious! Veggie tacos might have been my favorite but you really can’t go wrong. The chai was great as well! Service was quick and everyone was super friendly. The gentleman taking the orders was super friendly and even recognized me when I went back the next day - was super helpful and made suggestions on what else to try. Definitely check this spot out!

We stopped by The Hen Ann Arbor for brunch, and everything from start to finish was exceptional. I had the avocado toast, which was flavorful, colorful, and absolutely perfect. The jammy egg added the right richness, and the salad on the side had a dressing with just the right amount of tang to balance everything out. My husband ordered the blueberry French toast , which came out as an impressive stack and were beautifully presented. The flavors were outstanding, perfectly sweet, fresh, and indulgent. Our daughter had the Nutella pancakes and was in pure Nutella heaven. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and generously layered, a true treat for anyone with a sweet tooth. From the presentation to the flavors, The Hen exceeded all expectations. Beautiful food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere make this a place you will want to return to again and again.

Stylish, lively, and delicious — The Hen Ann Arbor is a true brunch gem in downtown Ann Arbor. I came here with my family, and we were all impressed by the atmosphere and the food. The space is filled with natural light and leafy ceiling décor, giving it a fun, youthful vibe that’s perfect for a relaxed weekend outing. My son had the Scrambler — fluffy scrambled eggs with spinach, mushrooms, and cheese, served with crispy breakfast potatoes, rye toast, butter, and jam. Everything was flavorful and well-balanced. We also tried the Cajun Shrimp Roll, which was fresh, spicy, and wrapped in a soft turmeric tortilla, served with a side of vibrant fruit. My cappuccino came in a glass mug with a generous foam cap — smooth and satisfying. There’s a tempting pastry display near the counter (apple fritters and cinnamon rolls looked amazing), and the whole place was bustling but still comfortable. Service was very quick and kind, given that it was a busy morning. A fantastic family-friendly brunch spot — we’ll definitely be back.

Love this place! It's my second time coming here and I am very impressed with the food! 6/3/25 This is becoming a morning breakfast place we really enjoy coming to. Me personally I'm just going down the menu and trying different things but today I tried the Southwest Bowl again no complaints really good food impressed with everything thus far my friend continues to get the Lox sandwich because he loves it so much. Definitely a must try!! 6/19/25 Today I got the cauliflower rice bowl and it was good but it wasn't my favorite but still worth a try! My friend got the salmon salad with the lemon vinaigrette and I tried a bite of that as well and it was delicious the lemon vinaigrette is so good and as always great service amazing food decent price. Thanks again for the consistency and great service!

This place is a total vibe. The atmosphere is super chill and inviting, perfect for a weekend brunch and catching up with friends. The decor is really nice without feeling overdone, and there’s just a good energy about the whole place. The food was amazing. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell they’re NOT just going through the motions in the kitchen, they actually love what they do. The staff is phenomenal. Super friendly, laid-back, but still really on point. You get the sense they know what they’re doing and actually enjoy being there, which makes all the difference. Definitely a new go-to for brunch. Can’t wait to come back.

Just go. I had the salmon toast. My daughter had the breakfast tacos and we added a hot honey biscuit. The atmosphere is open, the service was fast and the food was next level - fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious.

We had lunch today at The Hen , which is located near the University of Michigan. While the food, atmosphere, and overall ambience were excellent, the experience was somewhat overshadowed by the long wait time. We arrived around 11:45 PM and had to wait in line for about 55 to 65 minutes just to place our order. Also, there is no dedicated parking available—you’ll need to find paid street parking nearby. Aside from the wait, everything else was great. The food was delicious, and the vibe of the place was really nice. Just be mindful of the timing if you’re planning to visit—it might be better to avoid peak lunch hours.
Varaprasad K — Google review
Such a a cute spot but I really did not care for the set up of this establishment. You have to order and then the food is delivered to you, there are no servers. This would even be ok if there was more than one register but there isn't so the line was crazy. It kind of ruined the experience from the start. The food was good and so was the presentation, I also enjoyed the coffee but if you are on a time crunch, this is not the place for you.

The restaurant offers a diverse menu with many healthy choices such as omelets, salads, and soups. Customers praise the ample parking and pleasant exterior of the establishment. Inside, the spacious layout provides privacy for diners. Visitors appreciate the quick service and friendly staff who are attentive to their needs. Despite some minor issues with menu knowledge among waitstaff, most patrons report positive experiences at First Watch.
Good options and delicious breakfast and brunch. The price for the food is average for breakfast joints but the quality is definitely above average. The lavender toast on the spring menu is… interesting and The coffee is nothing special and I think quite expensive, so I would skip that if you’re budget conscious. Good atmosphere inside just like other First Watches. Great service

Michael L — Google review
I had the pleasure of dining at First Watch recently, and I have to say—it was one of the most enjoyable breakfast and brunch experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, everything about my visit was absolutely top-notch. First and foremost, the food was excellent. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care put into preparation. The menu had a wide variety of options to suit any taste, whether you’re in the mood for something light and healthy or something a bit more indulgent. I especially appreciated the seasonal selections and creative twists on classic breakfast items. Everything was cooked perfectly and arrived at the table hot and exactly as ordered. The staff was equally impressive. Every team member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You could tell they cared not only about the food, but about the guests having a great experience. Our server was knowledgeable, quick to offer helpful suggestions, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling intrusive. That kind of service goes a long way in making a good meal into a great one. The ambience of the restaurant was also excellent. The space was bright, clean, and inviting—modern and comfortable without feeling too trendy or cold. The atmosphere was upbeat and relaxing, the kind of place where you could enjoy a casual breakfast or have a relaxed conversation over coffee. Even when the restaurant got busier, it never felt too loud or hectic. In short, this was a truly enjoyable experience. First Watch gets everything right—delicious food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s not easy to hit all three consistently, but they did, and I will absolutely be back. Whether you’re meeting friends, taking the family out, or just grabbing a quiet meal on your own, I can’t recommend it highly enough. Five stars all around.
Dan M — Google review
My family and I come here every single time there's any opportunity to go out to brunch and we love the food every single time.
Charlene G — Google review
The food here was absolutely excellent—fresh, flavorful, and presented beautifully. The atmosphere also stood out: clean, bright, and welcoming, making for a very pleasant dining experience. That said, the service felt a bit stretched. It was clearly a busy time, and while the staff remained friendly, there were delays throughout the visit. We were even given plastic to-go cups for drinks due to a shortage of glasses, which was a small but noticeable detail. Overall, still a great place for breakfast or brunch, and I’d definitely return. Just be prepared for a slightly slower pace during peak hours.

Zingerman's Next Door Café, located in Ann Arbor's Kerrytown District, is a charming coffeehouse offering high-quality coffee, tea, pastries, and gelato. The café features Zingerman Bakehouse pastries and carefully crafted coffee drinks. One of their recommended beverages is the Cafe de Olla, a latte with a spicy-sweet syrup made in-house with cinnamon, molasses, brown sugar, and cloves.
Looking for a unique gift for a food lover, or adding to your own enjoyment, this is the location. The deli is a delight , a unique selection of treats. The best part is you are in a historical area of Ann Arbor, established 1982. The staff is the special touch here. Outside eating and inside dine in as well. My tip is eat upstairs they have outside tables. The sunsets are a gift. The food has quality ingredients great balance of flavors. This location is self ordering then you find a seat to relax.

Zingerman’s Next Door Café is such a delightful spot—tucked inside a charming single-family house-style building, it’s cozy, quirky, and full of character. They specialize in distinctive and creative takes on chocolate, coffee, hot chocolate, and ice cream. I tried the Mayan Eyes hot chocolate—made with dark chocolate and spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, chipotle, and ancho chiles. It’s got a real kick! Spicy but deliciously warming and complex. I also picked up two chocolate bars: one mango chili and one hot paprika. Super excited to try them—Zingerman’s definitely doesn’t play it safe with flavors, and I love that. It’s a fun and flavorful place for anyone who enjoys bold sweets and thoughtful drinks. Highly recommend stopping by!

Good coffee and ice cream. Enjoyed the ginger scone, too, but it wasn't anything special, I'm afraid. But the whole compound is so much fun and very inviting. Staff was excellent. Disappointed that they're not open earlier in the morning since the bagels look like the real deal but I would absolutely come back again!

I’ve often heard about Zingerman’s and just assumed it would be an overhyped place due to the many years of national attention. I was wrong. I got the corn beef since they are known for it. It was the best droid corn beef I’ve ever had. The sandwich was perfect and a solid side for being labeled small. Also got to try Dr Browns cream soda which instantly became my fav! Make sure next time you’re in Ann Arbor to give Zingermans a go!
Dustin R — Google review
We added Zingerman’s to our 7 day road trip that included a wedding in Chicago, a family meet-up with relatives from Ontario, and a visit to the fabulous Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, and our 1st visit to Beaver Stadium in Happy Valley. Zing’s was a worthy shrine on the pilgrimage! I wish I took more names, because every team member was exceptional. I had much help and advice on choosing 4 exquisite chocolates from a broad selection of unique flavors. The tiny but charming box of 4 pieces did not disappoint! The same salesperson left the premises to go next door to see if a fresser sized coffee cake was available (yes!) because the coffee shop just had a few of the smaller size. My husband grabbed a cappuccino and a pre-made smoked turkey and honey mustard hoagie/sub on a long roll that he is still talking about. My self-serve house coffee was plenty robust even though tagged as medium roast. In an odd coincidence, both the cream pitcher and the coffee carafe were empty when I went to “pour” my cup. Ryan came to our table, apologized for the empties, and spent several minutes chatting with us. He asked our names and what brought us to Zingerman’s. The banter was enjoyable and we felt lucky that the place wasn’t slammed and we had a chance to engage with staff. And Ryan took a pic of us with my new tie-dye Zing-tee. We missed the deli next door because we needed to get on the road between 10 and 10:30 and the deli was due to open at 11. We hope that our travels bring us back to Ann Arbor and Zingerman’s soon!

WOW!! Amazing that next door was an absolute terrible experience at the sandwich place to getting dessert here! Literally bought a few cupcakes and eclairs and we should of saved our money on the Reuben's and just bought coffee and desserts. Drop dead amazing desserts! Coolest thing ever was the internal elevator with the funky paintings, really cool inside the elevator up to the restrooms for our elderly dad was a huge plus during our visit. He has troubles walking up stairs so it was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you again for a great visit and amazing atmosphere. Unfortunately we are the food so fast we forgot to take pictures. Trust me when I tell you this place is hands down the place to try!

The reubens are always so good here. You order online on a touch screen. You pay at a near by counter. Once you get a text you can pick up your order in the adjoining room. You can eat inside or out. I always like to pick up a loaf of fresh bread to take home. At the counter you can get cheese or cold cuts as well. You can also order side salads and many other sandwich types. There is a house next door where you can also eat your food. I did not go there but usually you can get speciality coffees and dessert.
Laura T — Google review
For the price, I would not recommend the sandwitches. They are OK, but nothing great, just a bad value for your money. I think the place is really overhyped. I had their corn beef sandwitch and can honestly say that any place I have been to in Southfield Mi has better corn beef sandwitches than Zingerman's. The staff is really friendly.

Breakfast was good but $20 parking is crazy for a hotel restaurant! Was already late so didn’t want to figure out anything else and keep friends waiting anymore. Also, the parking attendant didn’t say anything after taking money, but then chased us down to yell at us for parking in the wrong area!

We stayed at the neighboring hotel and after checking in we found out the restaurant was closed (at 5:45PM on a Saturday). The staff member says to us "go next door to The Kensington, they have a restaurant called Re•Lish. Way better food anyway". So we walked next door to Re•Lish. We were glad our hotels restaurant was closed about 5mins after sitting down. Our server, Donte, was fantastic. Food was great. Our appetizer was the Corned Beef Egg Rolls, I got the Seared Mahi Mahi and my wife got the 3 PC fried chicken. Well prepared and fast service. We ended up going back the next day for breakfast, Donte was our server again (fantastic server). Really great breakfast. We are already talking about stopping in there when we travel to the Detroit Zoo (which we do quite frequently) because it is on our way.

for a first-time visit. I ordered the fried steak Bell’s Plate Diner, a solid choice! The meal came with green beans, mashed potatoes, and a slice of banana nut bread on the side. Everything was cooked just right, with the green beans and mashed potatoes adding a nice homestyle feel. The banana nut bread was a sweet touch to finish the meal. Neat spot for an all American breakfast. Whatever you order from here is guaranteed to fill you up. Lots of options to pick from. The restaurant’s got a very cute authentic barn feel to it too, though the food did feel a little commercial. The banana bread loaf on sale at the entrance for $4.99 was a real treat though, had to pick myself up one.

The restaurant was quite dirty, most tables had layers of crumb and garbage under them. Our table had used straws, plastic cups and a fork on the floor. The women’s bathroom was completely trashed, can’t imagine when it was cleaned last. The food was good though and despite them being severely understaffed, our waitress was hustling hard and attentive. She 100% needs a raise for being alone and handling every table.

Been awhile since last visit to Bob Evans pre covid days. Ann Arbor closed location on AA Saline Road, so first time to Carpenter road for late lunch around 3pm. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but to our surprise, the inside was pretty roomy and inviting. 5 stars for customer service! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly! I didn't have a copy of my receipt, so I don't remember his name. Sorry! 4/5 stars for food...was wanting grits but only served in the mornings. Keep that in mind to get it before 2pm, maybe even earlier than that... not fresh after lunch, so they don't serve it. Ordered the blue ribbon maple bacon, but it didn't look crispy like the picture ...floppy bacon but taste still there. The chicken fried steak + eggs and the chicken fried steak dinner were both great! Also ordered southwest avocado omelet which was also good. The banana bread was excellent! Definitely would go back to explore more of the menu. Forgot how good the food can be there...if you're looking for a good all American meal, then check out Bob Evans.

I love this Bob Evan's. It's close to home, service is quick and polite, and the food is just fine. I like all of the comfort food options they have and the many different types of breakfast options! It's always a good fall back when we don't know what to eat. Great place!

The chicken was too well done. the macaroni and cheese was probably at least 2 hours old. They put the salad in with the hot food so my lettuce was definitely lukewarm. The biscuits were perfect. And my peanut butter pie was definitely melted because they put it in with the hot food.

Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea is a beloved local cafe chain in Ann Arbor, offering custom roasted coffee and an array of delectable sweets. Established in 1993, this charming spot has multiple locations throughout the city and is known for its cozy atmosphere and friendly service. The cafe recently underwent new ownership, resulting in some changes to the food selections and overall improvements.
Every time I go here, everybody is so nice and welcoming. They take my order promptly and I wanna give a specific shout out to Parker. He went above and beyond to make sure that my drink was exactly the way that I wanted it to be + even recommended some of his favorites to me to help me order and make great conversation with me throughout the entire process! It’s rare that an employee makes a quick transaction feel so welcoming & Parker did just that. 10/10 will come back again!

Was in the area on vacation visiting family, and I was pleasantly surprised by how far above and beyond this location was compared to everything in the area. From the people at the front counter, remembering me from the first time I came in down to the drinks being top-notch and feeling like it was made from scratch by your grandmother. Also, usually when you go to a place like this, the bathrooms are less than desirable. You can tell that from the top down to the bottom, everybody is invested in keeping the place clean and in tiptop shape. I now look forward to coming back to the area every time and this is always gonna be my first stop no matter what time of day. Such a lovely place and the atmosphere makes you feel very, very comfortable and at home even when you’re many many states away from home.

Cozy, great staff, plenty of room. Good place to study, write, read. Extra seating area behind front room is a great touch. In a town where everything closes super early, it's nice to have an option that is open a little later.

I’m a regular at the downtown Ann Arbor location partly because of the beverages but mostly because of the service. The counter folks are friendly, welcoming, and professional. Gabe, in particular, has an ease with customers that makes his service exceptional. Great place, great staff.

Late night regular who always gets great service and good food in a warm and comfortable setting. Tonight Gabe and Callista had my usual order ready when I got the counter, checked on how I was doing and sent me off with a smile. Much appreciated !

RoosRoast Coffee is an Ann Arbor favorite, with two locations on Rosewood Street and East Liberty. The cafes offer a laid-back atmosphere with art-filled interiors, outdoor seating, and even video game tables. Their beans are popular for gifting and are used in many other local coffee shops. One of their special offerings is the Autumn Harvest Latte, a delightful blend of coffee and chai spices that keeps customers coming back for more.
RoosRoast Coffee at Rosewood is an absolute gem. The coffee is top-notch, consistently rich and flavorful, whether you’re sipping an espresso or enjoying a cold brew. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always making you feel at home. The patio is a great spot to relax, perfect for sunny mornings or cozy afternoons. Inside, there are cool nooks and creative decor, making it feel both vibrant and laid-back. It’s a great place to bring a book or your laptop and settle in for a while. The overall atmosphere is inviting and fun. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to any coffee lover! The Journal book Idea is such an awesome idea, brought a smile when I read some pages.

Dang this coffee shop is amazing. You must have patience to come here as there is literally a line to get your daily Java, and even though there's an abundance of street parking and a small parking lot, you'll have to drive way down the road to find parking with luck. Amazing quality coffee. My honey vanilla latte was perfectly made. Perfect milk texture, great espresso and house made syrups (hazelnut, vanilla, mocha, and caramel, in addition to honey). The cups they have are so cute, both for here and to go. Also got their single origin Columbian drip, it was awesome. The whole shop atmosphere is pretty chill. I recommend coming here. I also got their cheesy potato breakfast burrito, very good, the green sauce is great with it.

A fantastic coffee shop with spacious green patio at their Rosewood location, it's beautiful and relaxing. A favorite spot! Our dog loved going there too!

Excellent long pulls. Abundant outdoor seating is well occupied in fair weather. Breakfast burritos are better than many. And they are solar superstars. So much caffeine. So much winning.
Arleigh H — Google review
We ordered a hot latte, cold latte, burrito with sausage and a bacon scone. The drinks were great. The scone would have been better heated up, but they didn't offer it. The burrito was made from scratch, but I didn't love the red sauce inside of it. I love having a neighborhood coffee shop.

Got a latte here and it was actually really good. I would come back given the chance. The atmosphere and vibes inside were pretty cool and nice too.
Allen L — Google review
Tied for best coffee within an hour and a half from my house, Roos really delivers! When I order a Latte and take in some of that artistic foam off the top, without taking a sip, I can tell this coffee is full-bodied, bold and delicious! This is exactly what I expect from my drink. I don’t know how many times (or places) I have ordered a plain Latte and it tastes mostly like warm milk and thin. I know ratio wise that it is mostly milk, but with exceptional coffee (espresso), it doesn’t have to taste like something that was left out for Santa. Excellent job! Would recommend and will return.

Outside seating is great and they have a lot of room. Even though they were packed the day I went the service was quick and friendly. I had a mocha and two eggies (quiche like egg bites) which were great!

If you’re going out to Ann Arbor and you’re balling on a budget but want good food before you go out to downtown / the bars / events I 1000% recommend this place! Holy moly, I can’t describe how delicious the food was and compared to all the restaurants downtown, The prices were super cheap / fair especially for the portions! There was no wait time, we were seated immediately and the server was super friendly super nice! The atmosphere is super chill and it’s actually a really adorable cute place! No matter if you’re a youngster or if you’re wanting to eat out with the grandparents, this is the perfect place to go with friends and or family for a super affordable, great meal! I got the pineapple fish tacos, and my taste buds were jumping! I was so pleased and happy! We had a great experience the food was super fresh and the fish was AMAZING! Best fried fish I’ve had in a while! I also decided to grab a cranberry mimosa and it was super sweet super delicious! They had a pretty decent drink menu and they had some modern drink options!

The food was good. Could use a bit of an update on the inside of the restaurant. It's got that old restaurant feel. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce. Good portions. Enough to fill you up. Their staff was friendly. They also had an outdoor area if you prefer to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Food came out quick. It wasn't too busy when I went.
B S — Google review
Indoor outdoor seating. They grow their own vegetables onsite. Breakfast choices are great. My favorite is the 4-egg Omelette. Vegetable Alfredo in creamy seasoned sauce. Our server Brittany was fantastic. Holidays is a very nice place for breakfast lunch or dinner.
J H — Google review
They were really crowded when we got here but there was a table available. The waitress, Bianca showed up momentarily with coffee and took our order. My wife really liked the breakfast burrito with fresh mushrooms, but I thought the sausage gravy and biscuits with egg was just average. Prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent.
Tom M — Google review
It's good diner food and sometimes that's all you want. Cozy atmosphere, friendly waitresses, comfort food, cheap prices, and large portions. Price to portion ratio is good. Quality was pretty good. It wasn't overly salty or greasy like a lot of diners. I'd come back again if I'm in the area and the craving strikes me. :) There's nothing quite like flattop scrambled eggs.

What a great spot for bagels - sweet or savory- soup, sandwiches and more. I can’t wait to return and try something else. I went here while my wife was next door at the dentist. Got a roast beef honey wheat bagel, with lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese (extra cost) and mayo. Quality was good, bagel was soft (not chewy) even when tosted, roast beef was cold (not given option for hot sandwich) it tasted good, but was in my opinion VERY expensive for quality ($12 no drink or chips) service was excellent, I was told multiple times "I can help you" probably will not return, not because of quality or service but because of price.

Barry’s Bagels in Ann Arbor has become my go-to spot whenever I’m craving a fresh and delicious bagel. The variety they offer is outstanding, and everything I’ve tried has been consistently flavorful and satisfying. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it really shows in the quality of the food. The team is friendly and attentive, and they do a solid job of keeping things running smoothly even when it gets busy. The environment is inviting and comfortable, making it a great place to relax or catch up with friends. Overall, it’s a fantastic experience every time I visit. Highly recommend checking them out!

Cannot go wrong with a bagel and Barry's are top notch. The service is good although the process is slow - this is not fast food! It is made to order and with care food. The atmosphere is as with any diner - much depends on the other diners but it is clean, comfortable and stylish and, although I don't go too often, I am never disappointed when I do go!

Update: February 11, 2023 This location has really improved over the years and is one of our favorite places to eat. They have also completely remodeled and upgraded their interior and it looks so great. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. We have been going here for years. Food is great and 98% of the employees are fast, knowledgeable, and great to deal with. Lately though they’ve hired people that refuse to write orders down. It’s so frustrating when you start rattling off what you want and the guy doesn’t start writing anything until he realizes that you’re ordering more than 3 things and then when he finally starts writing stuff he forgets what the first things were. Ugh!

Berries bagel can stand toe to toe with any New York bagel shop. True local gem. If you looking for a ordinary bagel with cream cheese this is not your place, well maybe it is it has plain, Sesame, As well as vanilla cinnamon & everything bagels. I asked the bagel artist to create a sandwich for me! She nailed it a pastrami on a sesame bagel with banana peppers pickles red onion and garlic cream cheese. It was absolutely delicious. My friend had a spinach feta bagel lightly toasted with turkey and veggie cream cheese. If you’re looking to step your bagel game up the place.

I stopped here to have some lunch while I was getting an oil change at Fox Hyundai. Great little spot to grab a bite to eat…especially if you are waiting for car service or need to have lunch while “talking it out” about a new car purchase. So many dealers right around it. I had the Chicken Lemon Rice soup (my favorite soup at a coney place) and the Grilled Cheese BLT. Kasia was my server. The CLR soup was really hot when it arrived so I had to wait a little to eat it but it was really really yummy and comforting. Would’ve liked it a smidge thicker in texture and a tad more chicken but that is nitpicking. It was very good. I debated getting the Grilled Cheese BLT or the Strawberry Pecan Salad but I’m really glad I got the BLT. BLTs at diners…for me personally…have been pretty lackluster and basic. Yea they are BLTs but kinda boring ones. This one is NOT boring. Hearty, flavorful, and delicious. The bread was crispy, the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, the bacon had a nice semi-crunchy texture, and the grilled cheese and mayo just added the cherries on top. Really great BLT. If they offered pretzel bread I would be in heaven but that’s just me dreaming. 😂 My server, Kasia, was lovely. Efficient, sweet, and never let my water go dry…everything you want in a server 😂👍🏻 The atmosphere was a nice, gentle, diner buzz with fun music on in the background and multiple TVs for the latest news/sports/entertainment. The staff seemed to work like a well oiled machine with everyone helping out and laughing together. I would definitely recommend! Thanks for the great lunch! Oh and that BLT is great fresh or cold from the fridge later 👌🏼

Panera Bread is a popular bakery/cafe chain known for its delicious sandwiches, salads, and free WiFi. Despite some issues with long waits and malfunctioning kiosks during peak hours, the service was efficient. Some customers found the new tuna option to be less satisfying than the previous one. The Strawberry Poppy Chicken Salad received high praise for its consistent quality. However, there were complaints about the Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich being served cold with tough bread crusts.
This place is absolutely great. The manager runs this Panera so well. She is so so sweet and make sure if she can, she will. I stop here every morning before work and it just a such a comfy spot with great music and food. I love my little fruit cups and they always make sure to get me one :)

I visited on 9/22/25 - The food was delicious- the problem is for lunch (4:13 in the afternoon) for 2 people my bill was $58.23 - there wasn’t a single clean table to sit at and there was food and garbage all over the floors. I had to ask for a rag to clean off my own table and no one behind the counter took that as a Cue to come out and clean the tables. They allowed me to clean the table and told me I could leave the rag on the counter. The silverware tha they put in our plates were dirty and when we asked for replacement silverware they only could offer plastic…. For almost $60 my expectations for this experience was devastatingly lower than where it should be.
Cynthia S — Google review
Panera Bread in Ann Arbor offers a clean, comfortable environment and consistently decent food. That said, I can’t help but feel that the value just isn’t there. While I’m by no means a professional chef, most of the items I’ve tried feel like something I could easily recreate at home—often with better quality and for a lower cost. The serving sizes are modest, and when paired with slightly elevated prices, it’s hard to justify choosing Panera over a homemade meal or a more unique local option. It’s not a bad spot, but for me, it falls short in terms of both value and originality.

ETA: The iced coffee is still SO watered down y'all, it looks and tastes like river water 😭 Can you do a retraining, I'll go in the back and make it myself if I have to 😅 ----- The vibes are a little off at this Panera, but that's fine. The food is amazing! 😋 Favorites are the chicken tawook sandwich combo, gyro plate, falafel plate, grape leaves, lentil soup, hummus, garlic sauce, fattoush salad! A very very solid and reliable breakfast spot in my Ann Arbor rotation. They have a lot of unique dishes, like Apple Raisin bread soaked and fried served with ham or an Italian omelet with marinara, love to see some breakfast creativity. Terrible service. Decided to try Village Kitchen instead of our normal place just to try something new. The tall honey blonde with the wavy hair was very pleasant. She was the seating hostess, totally normal. But the waitress, the one with the dark hair that was pulled back, oh boy, was she grumpy! Just in a bad mood, she wanted to be scolding and just had a bad attitude. Will not be back!! Don't go here unless you want to be treated rudely when you are hoping to go out for breakfast! It will leave a bad taste in your mouth to be treated like a scolded child for no reason. The manager should talk to her and tell her that being nice might be a good way to treat people. Awful experience. You just lost a customer.

The restaurant is known for its welcoming atmosphere and efficient service. Customers praise the generous portions and recommend trying the Philly Cheesesteak or 'the hook' when ordering a burger.
Frank's is a great hole in the wall diner. My wife and I planned a random trip to Ann Arbor, random road trips are the best. We looked up breakfast and made the best decision on a whim. I got steak and eggs steak was a perfect medium rare and the eggs perfect as well. Got a side of hashbrowns, because potatoes are necessary. My wife got a two eggs breakfast and was really happy about the scrambled eggs. In my opinion a must stop.

Like breakfast joints? Then this is your place. Restaurant is straight out of a 1950’s diner in a movie scene. Definitely in contrast to Ann Arbor’s trendy breakfast places. Nothing fancy here, just good old American fare. Food is good, portions are generous. Not the cleanest restaurant I’ve been in. Service was attentive. I will eat here again.

I feel so fortunate to live, quite literally, next door to this Ann Arbor institution. They have excellent breakfast dishes, and if you see the Philly Cheesesteak on the lunch, you'd be greatly remiss not to order it. I've found their portions are very generous and the service incredibly efficient and polite. My secret tip? The delicious Greek lemon egg drop soup that is sometimes in the menu. And so. Very. Delicious.

I wanted to give it a chance since its been here long, but unfortunately the food was a huge let down. The hash browns I paid extra for that are usually included in most breakfast specials, were overcooked, extremely dry and seemed even old. Bacon was soggy and not crispy how I ordered, and the eggs were not by themselves how I requested. I didn't have time or would have returned the food. I've had breakfast from many places and coneys and have NEVER straight thrown away my hash browns because of taste.

I've wanted to try Franks for a while now. I door dashed the Franks famous French Toast, Western Omelet with cheese and a side of hash browns. The Omelet was perfect. It had lots of fillings, very cheesey, and a great sized portion. The hash browns were uninspiring unfortunately. I wished they were a little crispier and they need more salt. Now, the French Toast was the star of the show. Crispy exterior with a light doughy center, it was cooked perfectly. It's easily the best french toast I've had in Ann Abor. It's definitely worth going back.

Beautiful diner with a great staff. Glad to see some hard working people making some great food for a good value. Omelet was amazing and my wife and son loved the Philly

Somehow I missed out on going to Franks for 25 years, what a fool I’ve been. Great diner food, great prices, and great atmosphere. The patty melt was luxuriously soft and delicious and the spicy chicken sandwich was crispy and cooked well. I will be back many times to try all of the plates I saw people eating.

Cafeteria breakfast at best. Powdered eggs, canned corned beef hash mixed with frozen hash browns. Can a restaurant mess up toast? Yes this one can! Absolutely disgusting. McDonalds breakfast platter has better quality.

Great place for lunch and a relaxing break. The space was cozy and welcoming, with just the right balance of openness and warmth. I loved the color of the couches and tables, which added to the cozy vibe, and I enjoyed being surrounded by people crocheting, reading, chatting. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich and an iced latte. The chicken pesto sandwich was good-the chicken was soft, juicy, and well-cooked. The iced latte was just okay; it was stirred, but I prefer it to be layered with milk and espresso separated.

Took my kids in today for the first time, and was disappointed there wasn’t more of a kids menu, they basically secretly told us they can make grilled cheese but that’s it. My son got a bagel with cream cheese and my daughter wouldn’t get anything. I got a club sandwich and gave her some, which she ate, but I wasn’t going to spend upwards of $15 for her to pick at something. The club sandwich was very good, and I enjoyed it. They don’t have table service, you order at the counter and take a number and find a table and they bring it out to you. Maybe we were just unfamiliar but we had to ask for napkins and silverware. The cafe itself is kind of on the small side, but very cozy and well done inside, bright with lots of windows. We ordered a caramel brownie to go and it is huge! Bigger than my hand! It didn’t taste like caramel and it was so dry, more like a dry piece of coffee cake than a moist brownie. Very disappointing since the brownie was $7! Not sure if we’ll be back, but nice for a variety of deli sandwiches and nice country location in Dixboro.

I met a friend for a business lunch at moon winks and it was my first visit to their establishment. The service was great the cafe was clean, and the food tasted excellent. I don’t normally eat deli food because it is processed so wished that they would’ve had slices of real turkey. But just the same, the sandwich was delicious.

Nice place, great outdoor seating. The coffee was well done. I appreciate their attempt to bake their own croissants and gave one a try even though they did not look appetizing. However, they should not have put those out. By far, the worst pastry I've had in a very long time. Again, props for trying but you gotten know when to say no.

My friend and I stopped by last weekend on our way to the Ypsi Flea and everything was amazing! We split the Grecian something bagel sandwich and loved it. I tried the caramel apple scone (to die for) and my friend had the lemon raspberry tart, which she said was very good too! For my latte, I had the lucky charms with oat milk and as a barista myself I have to say it was amazing!! We walked into the tavern side at first and were pretty confused but I think one of the owners was in there and he pointed us the right way lol. If I’m ever back in the area I would definitely stop in again. ❤️

Stopped for a light brunch/lunch after a Dr. appointment in the area. Such a cute, quaint location. Clear and concise menu and very friendly staff members! We ordered a bagel sandwich and a cinnamon roll to eat in. Everything was fresh and delicious! The bagel sandwich was put together perfectly and not just slapped together - it took several minutes for it to come out but I prefer that anyway for quality food. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Comfortable and fun setting! I would definitely willingly return anytime!

MoonWinks Tavern has great potential, but it is not there yet. Gem of a location, but they are not adequately staffed and menu is hit and miss. There is no one to greet you and after sitting at our table for awhile it became apparent we needed to go up to the bar and order our food. Employees walked by our table, but no one even looked our way. Even standing at the bar none of the employees seemed at all curious why I was standing there. Finally had to flag someone down to place an order. The vibe is that I was at a private club, but not a member. The owner was present, but only spoke to those he knew. As for the food, the Bavarian Pretzel was very good and served piping hot. The other appetizers really missed the mark. The spinach artichoke dippers were mushy and cold. I would have sent them back, but after the food is dropped off no one returns to check on you. There are no servers at this establishment. We ordered the personal sized pizzas and they were delicious. If you are looking to grab a drink and an appetizer, not a bad place to stop. If you are looking to go out for dinner, go elsewhere. The owner would be wise to get fully staffed and train employees on how to provide customers with quality service.

Cozy artsy cafe i dropped by at while cycling to ann arbor. They have a bunch of syrup flavors to choose from. Tried the fall raspberry white mocha latte. Its good. Kinda feels like blackforest cake. The signal is bad inside for internet but they do have wifi. The bathroom toilet could use some cleaning tho.

Panera Bread is a popular counter-serve bakery and café chain that delights patrons with its delicious sandwiches, fresh salads, and an array of baked goods. Known for its signature bread and complimentary WiFi, it’s a go-to spot for many. However, some recent changes at new locations have sparked mixed feelings among customers. The atmosphere has shifted from cozy to more spacious and bright, resembling typical fast-food environments rather than the inviting charm Panera is known for.
Best sandwich in town!!! I highly reccomend the new Italian Philly cheesesteak sandwich with arugula and tomatoes. It melted in my mouf and the flavor was outta dis world! Costomer services was also grape. The store is very wide and open, I wasn't used to that...

I picked up my order and of course they forgot to put an item in. I shouldn’t be surprised because this is how they have operated for years- new location or not. When I called to ask about how to get my sandwich, the person on the other end was rude. Yes, you’ve had a hard day but so have I. Sorry I was short, but your response was unacceptable since you were the one who made this mistake. Be better. Especially for as much money as you’re charging.

I do NOT like the atmosphere at the new location. It's no longer cozy and inviting. It's big and bright and feels like any other fast food joint. I hope they don't all go this direction! Also, the app should've made the move more noticable! I ordered pick up and arrived at a building for lease! Had to look up the address of my order to find the new spot. Thankfully it was just down the road. That said, food was delicious as always and special order instructions were followed perfectly!

I frequently place group delivery orders from Panera Bread and typically order a modified ½ Greek salad. However, I’ve noticed a recurring issue with the store on Zeeb Road: the romaine lettuce is often primarily made up of the rib portion, with a slightly orange tint near the cut edges—suggesting it's not as fresh as it should be. It would be great to consistently receive fresh, crisp romaine. Additionally, it would be helpful if the bread could be packaged separately, rather than placed at the bottom of someone else’s bag. It makes it difficult to retrieve sandwiches or soups without digging through others’ orders. Overall, I’ve felt that the quality and care in preparation at Panera Bread has declined recently, which is disappointing given the premium prices. I hope you’ll take this feedback into consideration.

The girl handing me my drink cup touched her bare hand inside my cup and she didn't apologize when I explained why I was them asking for a new cup. It also took several minutes for them to just set out the cup when that was the only thing ordered. Very slow and bad service.

I don’t know if it’s because Panera isn’t making their breads fresh in stores or not or what. But the past 2 times i’ve gotten bagels from this location they are not good. They taste almost raw or undercooked. The taste is completely different than usual. Also some of the staff here is so rude. I was served cold mac n cheese so I went to the counter to address it. The girl snapped at me and told me to go and use the microwave. Love Panera, not a big fan of this location.

I hate to write this as the staff there are great. I've been going here for my morning coffee for about a year now and I am sorry to report, but their bathroom are atrocious. In the small stall there was a large area (maybe 2" by 2") of dried fecal mater on the back of the bowl that was there for over a month until it finally wore away by flushing. There is currently a smaller are of dried fecal matter (I'm sorry about having to use that word twice) in the large stall that has been there for over a week. Even without the dried fecal matter, they certainly clean there toilets less often then I do at home, and I live alone. I've been in there early in the morning and the large trash basket was overflowing onto the floor, as sign that they do not even inspect their bathroom before they open. In my undergrad I work in restaurant management for about a decade, much of that in fast food, and I would have been severely reprimanded if my bathrooms were a quarter as bad as these, and that was at a Burger King in the 80s. The bathroom door has been broken for about a week now. They are frequently out of paper towels, and I've been there they ran out of toilet paper, and that was a day after I told a staff member that it had run out. The top of the toilet dispensers have not been dusted in quite some time. I obviously have not seen the Women's Bathroom, so I can't speak to its cleanliness.

Why do I even bother... went to this location because it was having a fundraiser for my school... second week in a row. Had a simple order, pizza and soda for now...half tuna and soup to go for tomorrow. Showed the flier, shown in the picture below, and was told I was set. Got to the back and everything was on a plater once finished and I stated that the sandwich and soup was to go, pizza was going to be ate at the location. Young lady behind the counter found me annoying but slowly complied with my wished. I then asked to make sure my school was credited the amount that me, and one of my students behind me, had spent for the fundraiser...I was quickly hit with that was only for orders. I then showed the flier to the young lady and pointed out it said providing a copy in person was accepted...then was told the manager had to approve it. The annoyed young lady then said to her coworker what a ****** I was...sorry for expecting things to be done right. I stopped asking questions as I did not want to appear to be rude, remember I had students in the store. I went to the table to eat my now cold pizza and have my soda. I had to use napkins and a sanitizer to clean my table. After clearing my table and cleaning it again for the next person, I said goodbye to my students and headed home. Once home I deconstructed my sandwich... pictured below. There was more veggies on the sandwich than tuna. I am also trying to figure out why it had a slice of bacon as well. Still not sure if the school will get any proceeds of mine or the students sales as that was never answered. I work closely with the teacher who was having the fundraiser so I will be sharing this story with her as well.

If you're on the hunt for a cozy spot to enjoy a delicious meal, look no further than Panera Bread. This popular counter-serve bakery and café chain is renowned for its mouthwatering sandwiches, fresh salads, and of course, their signature bread. On a gloomy Monday afternoon, I decided to treat myself by stepping away from the usual campus dining hall fare and indulging in one of their delightful offerings—the Chipotle Avocado Chicken Melt was calling my name!

Just picked up my Warm Baja Bowl (Jan. 30, 2023) which I've had from the North University Ann Arbor location many times. So now they come in a soup container? 1/2 the size? Same price though ($10.99). I asked for - and paid for! extra avocado and received literally 6 pieces. Called the store for a manager - no answer. I am on my lunch hour and and not able to come back to the store. What a joke! And it's stone cold - like refrigerator cold.

I'm disappointed. I paid almost $7 for a breakfast sandwich that was smaller than my hand! If it had cost $3, that would've been fine, but $7??? Yesterday at Misfits Coffee Society I got a sandwich that was larger, tasted better, and local for the same price. I really like Panera, but this was pathetic. Staff was friendly and helpful, atmosphere was average. This is a problem of corporate greed.

They have the best soup in this world. If you ever come here, order broccoli cheddar soup, I tried it a few days ago and now its one of my favorite things to eat! We also had a croissant with chocolate and a hot chocolate, the croissant its soft and really good. I tried the mango iced and green tee juice. Im so in love with this one too. They also have a place to eat downstairs, it looks really nice

I ordered Mac and cheese for my kids and it’s still not ready 40 minutes later. Panera used to be a nice cafe but the corporate overlords have ruined this business too. Waste of my time and money. I’ll only buy it at Costco because that’s the quality level it is now.

Panera Bread? How about Panera Head! It was early in the afternoon on a dreary Monday. Today was a special day, however. I decided to treat myself in the best way a college student can for lunch, going to Panera Bread instead of shoveling down the same meager offerings the dining halls on campus have to offer. No more Moroccan Chicken for me! As I strolled in, I was already set on what I wanted. The Chipotle Avocado Chicken Melt. It was still in stock. Perfect. I quickly ordered it on the kiosk out front, and waited the standard 45 minute wait time for my food. No worries though, I had nowhere else to be until my 2:30 AFRO 494 Class, “How it feels to be Black in America”. As I sat in the booth by myself, sending off LinkedIn connection requests to anyone who is remotely related to this university, someone came up on me from behind. “I do that too.” She said with a smile. Stunned and embarrassed, I quickly closed the tab. But it was too late. Drat. “Haha, you can never have enough connections in this job market” I said, playing it off. “That’s true! Are you also a senior?” She replied. “No, just a sophomore.” Crap, there goes that lie. “Then why are you sending off so many requests?” “Oh you know, I like seeing the number get higher. Forget about that. What’s your name?” After the embarrassing exchange, I actually got to know her a little, and she seemed like a pretty cool gal. She started to tell me about how a recent breakup she endured had bothered her, and before you know it, she was in the Panera Bread bathroom stall with me while a homeless woman was actively ODing on Opioids the next stall over. After wrapping up, we both scurried back to the main dining area, just in time for my food to come out. I never saw her again. What an experience. 4 stars for the slightly undercooked Mac ‘N Cheese.

The Jefferson Market is a local eatery that has a nostalgic feel and offers outdoor seating for customers. Known as The Jeff, this neighborhood restaurant serves breakfast and lunch all day long. Housed in a historic building, which used to be a grocer in the 1920s, it has become a popular spot among the locals. One of their specialties is their delicious cookies, like the gluten-free honey peanut butter cookie.
This place is like if you took an average coney breakfasts and made them 10x better. Really enjoyed it. House made biscuits were bomb. Only thing is I wish their gravy was more peppery but other than that 🤌.

First impression walking in was lovely, it’s very cute inside. I ordered a black coffee with honey, the Egg and Cheese biscuit, and a side of their potatoes. The biscuit was delicious, I added the homemade sausage patty and it was amazing. The potatoes were just “meh”, could definitely be a bit warmer. I was unaware they don’t allow computers, which I don’t mind at all but some people might so I wanted to include that. Atmosphere was nice, I went in around 9:45am and by 10 it was almost full. Love the knick-knacks they’ve got around the place, especially the old cameras :) I would say that it doesn’t seem like the place you’d want to kick back and hang out for an extended period of time because they were busy enough to need the table back, but for a quick bite and a good coffee it’s definitely worth the trip.

It’s a nice atmosphere here, but it took forever to place an order and to get our food. Granted it was busy, they felt a bit understaffed to keep up with demand. Food was good & filling— props to the cooks! Nice location close to A2 schools and church. Would recommend for a low key spot.

So if you care about going to places everybody goes because there is a vibe to them, then maybe you would enjoy this place more. I just don’t under the hype about it and I think their breakfast dishes are very ordinary. However, given my dietary restrictions I cannot try some of their more famous dishes. Over all I feel most people go there for the vibe or because it’s an old local place (this I appreciate and understand) but they can do better on their menu imo

Tucked away in a quiet Ann Arbor neighborhood, Jefferson Market is a delightful corner café that feels both timeless and alive. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by warm wood floors, vintage kitchen décor, and a bustling open kitchen behind the counter. It’s got that rare small-town energy—relaxed but efficient. We came for brunch and ordered huevos rancheros, the classic biscuit breakfast plate, a latte and a raspberry biscuit sandwich. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and well-balanced. The huevos rancheros had rich flavors with just the right amount of heat and crunch. The biscuit plate came with golden potatoes, perfectly cooked sunny-side eggs, and a generous slab of sausage—comfort food done right. The mini biscuit sandwich was a lovely sweet-savory treat, buttery and soft without being heavy. Service was cheerful and casual. You order at the counter and find your own seat, but the staff check in on you and keep things moving. The café fills up fast on weekends, but the line moves quickly. It’s clearly a favorite for families, students, and longtime locals. Highly recommend for a relaxed weekend brunch. This is one of those places that makes you feel like part of the neighborhood, even if you’re just passing through.

This was easily the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had—anywhere. I was born in Ann Arbor and am a Michigan alum who loves local cafés, but my visit to Jefferson Market on October 4 before the UM game left me genuinely shocked. My friend (a gay Asian-American professor visiting from out of state) briefly sat at an empty table to hold two seats while I waited in line. The owner, Ed Green, rushed over and ordered him to stand. Moments later, we saw a white woman doing the same thing right in front of the counter without issue. We can’t know motives, but the uneven treatment—especially toward a visible-minority customer—left a lasting question. When my friend politely asked why, Mr. Green grew angry, said he “hadn’t seen her,” and then threatened us with, “You do want to eat here, don’t you?” At the counter his first words were, “Are you going to behave now?” I asked if he was always so rude to his customers. His wife/co-owner then stepped in, ordered him to go back to the kitchen, and told us to leave. Outside, several regulars who had watched the entire exchange stopped us and said how sorry they were that we’d had that experience—adding, “We’ve seen him do that before.” Their kindness and empathy made the contrast even starker. Busy day or not, no customer deserves that tone or uneven treatment. The café looks lovely from the street, but inside the sweetness fades fast. Until the owners find a little calm—and maybe swap a shot of espresso for a moment of meditation—the bitterness will linger longer than the coffee aroma.

Love the PFC! My husband swears the salad bar is the freshest and best in town. Our daughters beg for PFC chicken from the hot bar anytime we are anywhere near the Food Coop. They have hands down the largest selection of locally sourced produce, grocery items, and any other items of any grocery store in AA. I've worked at a number of them, including the PFC, and PFC has the biggest commitment to the community food network. Also, they have very high standards for what they will sell. The produce is always high quality, fresh, never withered and moldy (as I have found at some other local grocery stores). Also have great food on the grab and go deli, very good all allergen free chocolate cake, and great coffee. Our family just loves this store. There was a period where there seemed to be a lot of not so friendly cashiers and staff - but it seems to have gotten much better in the last year or two and the quality of customer service has gone back up. Wish it were bigger with better parking - would make it much easier to shop there with little kids. But we still make the effort to get there every week or two.

Starbucks, the iconic coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, is a beloved stop for many coffee enthusiasts. Known for its signature roasts and light snacks, it also offers a cozy atmosphere with WiFi access—perfect for those on the go. In Ann Arbor, patrons appreciate the quick service at the drive-thru and consistently friendly baristas who add a personal touch to each visit. Seasonal favorites like the pumpkin spice latte make Starbucks even more inviting during fall and winter months.
I love Starbucks, especially when fall and winter seasons come around; my favorite is the pumpkin spice latte, along with other choices. Customer service was great and the employee that served me was super friendly.

The Barista, Brooklyn, at this location right now as of June 24, 2025 8:30am, does not know or understand how to make stacked espresso drinks or the importance of making a presentable espresso drink. Brooklyn would rather issue a refund than to learn and understand what a stacked espresso drinks is supposed to look like. Instead of Brooklyn listening to how I want my drink, she cut me off and offered a refund. This is rude behavior. I told her you’re being rude to me. She said I’m sorry you feel that way. This is now toxic behavior. She was rude and toxic. She then went inside and complained to her manager and the manager asked me not to name call. I said, “What did I call her?” Brooklyn said you called her rude. Well that’s what she was being and Toxic too. Starbucks is known for allowing customers to speak out about their drinks. The corp enables customers to request drinks to be made over again the right way. There is no point in having the same barista make the drink again if the results will be the same. The point of doing it again is to do it right. Brooklyn, the drink you made for me looked like mud water twice which means you didn’t take the time to understand what was wrong with the first drink and then you proceeded to cut me off at the window when I was in the middle of explaining it to you. This makes you rude. Then you said I’m sorry you feel that way, girl that response is Toxic. To the “Manager”: Thank you for making my drink stacked however me telling Brooklyn she’s being rude is not name calling. Brooklyn will not be better if you enable her to be rude, toxic, and uneducated on stacked espresso drinks. Brooklyn cannot convince me or alter my reality when I know what my drink from Starbucks needs to look like. I’ve attached pictures to show the difference between a stacked espresso drink from the same Starbucks on Washtenaw and the coffee mud water Brooklyn said I ordered at this very Washtenaw location. Both are same ingredients made differently.

This is usually my go to Starbucks. However, I understand when things are busy, they are gonna take a minute, but to actually be asked to take a lap and come back for my order seems a bit much. I'm more than happy to wait, but there was none behind me and three cars in front me, I was already going to have to wait. But here I am with a crying two year old, wait and "taking a lap" when I could have just waited in line like always.

I was just waiting in the store to order some coffee And no joke I waited about 5 minutes to be served. (I was the only one in line by the way) Now I get Starbucks gets busy, Plus the drive-thru can be crazy but, there were four women working and it took me asking if this is where I had to order the coffee to finally have someone look up and say some will be with you shortly. (5 minutes later).

This is my Starbucks of choice when commuting into Ann Arbor. I never have to wait long in the drive-thru and the baristas are always very friendly. Today I realized I had stickers on my drink after pulling away 🥺 it’s a small gesture but it made me smile!
Sara B — Google review
This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. I waited a long time for my drink when I got to the car it was dark and I went to drink and the drink spilled all over me. Upon turning on the light I saw that the lid to the drink was cracked so all of the liquid and chocolate foam was spilling through on me. This is something the barista had to have felt when they put the lid on and ai further believe that this is true because when I went in to tell them what happened they did not apologize, did not fix/remake the drink and suggested I just talk to corporate because this happens often with trenta lids. My question is why did they bother making the drink in the first place? This is not the way you treat another human and definitely not a customer.

This 🏳️‍🌈 Starbucks worker gave me a bag full of dripping beverages. Acted like he/she was new on the job that day, but personally ignored the soaken-wett counter and bottom of the to-go paper bag, rolled her/his eyes at me then wished me a good day.

Breakfast restaurant
Achilles Restaurant is a long-standing and family-friendly establishment that offers classic American diner dishes, including burgers, sandwiches, and omelets. They have a menu reminiscent of Coney Island at reasonable prices. The biscuits and gravy are particularly noteworthy as the sausage gravy is packed with flavorful chunks of sausage, which can only be described as fantastic. Despite ordering a half-sized plate for breakfast, it was still satisfyingly filling. The coffee served here is typical of what you would expect from a diner.
It was my first time eating there and I was pleasantly surprised, Nice little family diner with an easy setting. Sarah was our waitress she was very friendly super nice I'll definitely be coming back since we're wiring a church right down the street.

Food is good and quick. IT is a little cold and the bathrooms are downstairs and freezing. Ordered hot tea which was like warm at best. Had to request and wait several minutes to get hot water. $3.29 for a tea bag and water is steep. $11.99 was good for their #9 country breakfast with two eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and coney fried steak with gravy.

I love this place! It has an old school diner look and feel. You can sit at the bar (no alcohol) or at a booth. The menu is big and you can't go wrong - I have never ordered something i didn't like in the 10+ years I've been going! I love the veggie omelette with American cheese, hash browns, and an english muffin for breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are great too, and the chicken lemon rice soup (daily!) and greek salads are perfect!

Could use a good cleaning inside. My cheese omelet barely had any cheese on it, very pricey for what you get. But waitress was kind.

Always good food at reasonable prices with very friendly staff. Old-fashioned counter service is way-cool. Located in East Ann Arbor's old/original Dog 'n Suds location/building. Yum.

The condiments tasted off, as well as the hash browns. It's a nitpick but the coffee cups were so thick you barely got a full cup of joe. 40 bucks wasn't worth the food we got, even though the portions are gigantic.

It's a great place to visit and eat. Covid hasn't really changed how they operate. They were great before Covid in 2020 and they continue to be an old school, neighborly and we'll run place now. Kent T.

I get it, but you're open till 4:00 p.m. it's 3:45 p.m. owner and waitress looked at me like I had leprosy when I walked in the door. I said you close at 4:00 and they said yes and just stared at me. So you close at 4:00? Or did you shut down? Clean the grill at 3:00 and now you can't service the customer the community but you got me driving in here looking crazy. And I hate that your bathroom is in the basement. How is that handicap custmer friendly?

RoosRoast Liberty is a cozy and laid-back spot that offers a variety of coffee options, including cold brew and espresso, along with breakfast bites and pastries. The vibrant atmosphere with bright yellow walls, colorful mugs, and upbeat music creates an inviting space for patrons. While it may not be the quietest place for studying, its spacious tables and comfy chairs make it a great option for getting work done.
I travel frequently, and as a coffee snob, I always look for that best cup of coffee ☕️. When I stopped by RoosRoast my first impression was this place is cool, eclectic... Then, I tried a long pull of Lobster Butter Love and it was just life changing! Couldn't get enough so I just had to replicate at home! Rich, full body and just smooth. I'm a life long customer and look forward to getting my coffee beans along with a personal note! RoosRoast brings peace to a crazy world and I wake up every morning and can't wait to take that first sip!

Inhale the love and enjoy the coffee, the vibe is friendly and my oat milk latte was delicious. I love a Ms. Pacman cocktail table and if Amy was here we would have been on it for an hour. Right? Let’s be real, Where have all the pound bags of coffee gone??? Respect for having pound bags and even 5# bags! Note: I love the stamp/branding on the bags, great design and aesthetics!

Funky, full of character. From the colorful hand-painted signs to the art-covered walls and quirky merch, the vibe here is loud, bold, and full of personality—just like their coffee. I ordered the Long Pull, drinks like a Moka pot brew—strong, intense, and smoky—but also surprisingly fruity and sweet. I also picked up a bag of their Lobster Butter Love beans to take home. Service is extremely good. The warm welcome makes your day!

Quick stop by and it was delish. Got the breakfast burritos and they had an adobe seasoning which was so yummy. Vanilla latte was great too. My boyfriend got a mocha and he loved it too! If I lived here I would go to RoosRoast all the time. Recommend!
Isabella C — Google review
It’s been many years since I could visit, but another disappointing burrito experience elsewhere had me reminiscing about the one that got away. I now live in California, which is supposed to be burrito ground zero, but it’s been almost a decade, and nowhere in the world have I experienced a breakfast burrito as perfect as RoosRoast’s. If I ever return to Ann Arbor, I might make up some reason to sound socially acceptable, but really, it will purely be to experience that perfection again. If you live there, or are visiting, do not miss out. This is one to beat all others. Since it’s technically a coffee shop, I remember their coffee being great as well, but I’m not enough of a connoisseur beyond “I am enjoying this drink” to comment much on the coffee. Their burrito though… it haunts me in the best way. I miss you.

I love that my coffee was made with whole milk and honey instead of artificial sweeteners. Atmosphere is cute and artsy. I had the honey vanilla latte and blueberry coffee cake. MD Bagel Fragel is a delightful spot for anyone seeking a quick and satisfying meal. This charming, locally owned establishment offers an impressive selection of bagels in various flavors, perfect for pairing with cream cheese or butter at an affordable price. Their bagel sandwiches are also a hit, ranging from $3 to $8. A standout item on the menu is the fragel—a unique cinnamon raisin bagel fried with cinnamon sugar that delivers a sweet and chewy experience unlike any other.
Found this place because Panera stopped selling sausage with their egg and cheese sandwich, and boy am I glad I did. Small locally owned shop with phenomenal bagels. Looks to be a new location from what I can tell. We got sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel and they were so good we had to start eating them in the car, couldn't even wait to get home. I will definitely be back and will have to try the fragel next time.
Alex H — Google review
It's unfortunate that I have to write this review. We have been loving the food. However, the last time I went my partner got a ham, egg and cheese bagel and it was horribly put together with very little hand, very little cheese, just an overall very poor quality product. I called to let them know and the girl on the phone just argued with me and told me that that's how it is. Which is interesting because we've eaten there before and it's never been that terrible before. But she argued with me and told me that's just how it is. So we will never go back and it's back to corporate bagels for us. We have really loved this place so it was a super disappointing interaction and we will never be back. Look at this picture and tell me that that's just how it is!

Yummiest bagels ever! Crunchy and soft at the same time. Our favorites are the six pepper blend, sundried tomato, Cajun garlic. Full of flavor. Even a simple cheddar bagel toasted with butter is delicious! 😊

Most unique bagels and cream cheese. But what makes it a must stop is the fragels! Cinnamon raisin bagel fried with cinnamon sugar, it's sweet, chewy and just a favorite! They make really good bagel and egg sandwiches at a great price
Megan D — Google review
The younger employee working there seemed very unhappy with her job, and it showed in the way she treated customers. She gave me attitude from beginning to end. I brought friends visiting from out of town and they pointed out the same thing. Service is extremely poor, and she clearly doesn’t know how to handle crowds. I’d recommend trying another bagel spot for a better experience.

Really REALLY dirty inside, floors counters, all over. Not clean enough to prepare food in. Thats first, secondly the sandwhich was just mediocre, no flavor, the asiago bagel i had it made on also had no flavor. The fragels were just fluffy hot bagels COVERED AND I MEAN COVERED in sugar! Did not taste any cinnamon, even though it was cinnamon raisin. Sorry but i dont think i would go back. I wish you luck! Please take the time to clean like it should be for food service.
Renee W — Google review
Love the bagels here, especial the Cajun. Always a good variety of bagels and cream cheeses. The super nova lox sandwich is my go-to. There are bakers dozen specials in Tuesday and Wednesday that are a great deal.
John S — Google review
I have been a loyal bagel fragel customer since they used to be located on Plymouth Rd. I haven't been in a long time since I have relocated to another state, but they were always the best bagels I ever had. They were dense but super soft which always kept me coming back. The experience I had today unfortunately was very downhill. I'm not sure what they've done to their bagels but they're not the same. They are not nearly as fluffy and dense as they used to be. I got the Cajun garlic and it was dry and overcooked. The spinach feta was not nearly as dense as it used to be. It was half the size and not fluffy at all. The fragels were still good, but they are also not as thick as they used to be either. The cream cheeses were still great flavors, but I can imagine it's not hard to mix flavors into cream cheese. They also no longer sell bagel packs unless it's Tuesday or Wednesday?? I guess they don't want to sell higher quantities of their bagels anymore?? Well I'm glad I wasn't able to purchase one anyway since these were not what they used to be. Guess I'll only return for a fragel now since those don't exist outside of Ann arbor.

2 years ago: Popped in for a coffee. Was pretty busy, but service was efficient. Very open space concept with lots of natural light. One of the largest Paneras I have been to. Brand new too! Today, 6.10.2025. Stopped in for late lunch around 1pm. The app didn't work, the in store console didn't load, so ordered at register after a little bit or a wait for someone to show up. Staff was friendly and did a great job getting my rewards applied that were in app. The iced coffee was a bit weak,to my liking, and the bacon mac n cheese was too salty. Not much flavor besides salt. Tables were a bit messy after lunch rush, I am guessing. Still a nice place, just seemed short staffed today.
Angela H — Google review
$18 for half a sandwich and half a salad. Pretty shocking. The food was good. It felt like they really want you to order online or on their tablets. The counter help was hesitant. The eating space was huge, open and bright. I liked it. I assume they just had a rush. There were not many people when I got there but quite a backup of dishes. Food prep time was good. I would return but try to pay more attention to keeping costs down.
Jeff S — Google review
The place is great for study with ample space. However, the food quality is a bit disappointing. They're out of avocado most of the time (my favorite is avocado chicken melt) and chicken noodle soup is on saltier side. This morning I was surprised with chicken noodle soup that DIDN'T have any noodles! I love the convenience of the location and space and their coffee. However, food is always a bit disappointing here sadly.
Elena S — Google review
Posting this in hopes that management will see. First off, this is a great location. I've always had very speedy service. The food is fresh and the hazelnut coffee is life-changing. Now, as someone who dines in multiple times a week, please fix the outlets at the booths. I often come here to work at lunch and have to play musical chairs to find a working outlet. I'm specifically referring to the black outlets underneath the wooden booths. Many of these simply don't work. If I come during a busy period there's a good chance I won't be able to sit within reach of a working outlet, so my stay is limited to the lifetime of my device. While this is a minor inconvenience at most, it's happened to me enough times where I felt inspired to write this post on my lunch break while my laptop is minutes from dying here at Panera... again. For an internet cafe, this should be a matter of importance. Please fix!
Jacob P — Google review
I really want to like this Panera but I keep getting burned by it. On 3 different occasions I have ordered food for pick up or delivery and it takes over an hour to prepare. When I order from the app it gives me the estimated time which is like 15-20 minutes. I live nearby and am incredibly busy so this seems like an easy and fast way to get healthy food but when I show up to get it, it is often not ready and nowhere near starting to be prepped. I have tried to cancel these orders 2 different times and have been told I can’t and I have to call and speak to someone to when they are not so busy.
Amy K — Google review
Every time I go to this location the wait is much longer than expected. I went at 10:00 today and there were only 2 types of bagels available. The drink area had drink spills all over it mixed in with wet napkins. It was not crowded. During a previous visit, I waited 10 minutes in the drive thru lane. I want this restaurant to be successful because it's one of the few nearby places to grab a bite to eat. I do like that there is outside seating available.
C K — Google review
In the back all they do is waste time. They spend most of their time here talking and wasting time with other employees. They only hire kids that are in high school and when confronted Megan the General Manager she shut me off, very bossy and can’t take criticism on her role. Made a complaint to HR to review how Megan is supposed to play her role as GM better. Don’t even get me started on the food or the wait time it’s best to not talk about those because if I do, it’s going to be so long and detailed that it’s going to cover other reviews below this.

Changing my 4 star rating to a 5....the vents do still need cleaning lol...But I was so impressed today watching the evening crew/shift manager be so accommodating and personable to an older man explaining his need for softer foods and some dietary accommodations. Order a large fry and they barely fill it up. I am able to deal with the slow service because they’re understaffed, but they can at least fill the fries up. I’ve also gotten the wrong order before in drive thru. Should have learned long ago to check my food every time..

Ordered a limited edition, gold chicken sandwich meal And paid for an added cheese slice on the sandwich with a large frappe received a medium frappe and no cheese or bacon on the sandwich, the sandwich comes with bacon. The McFlurry was melted all over the bag inside of a cardboard container. Tried to contact through the app to express my concerns and got literally nowhere. I guess you can order through the McDonald’s app they can prepare your order, however they feel like it and never be held accountable for it. Nothing like getting ripped off when you’re sitting in the hospital with your son. Straight disappointment.

I ordered my food and grabbed a table locator for them as I was dining in. The table locator clearly states that they will bring the food to me. After waiting 20 minutes for a quarter pounder meal I went to the counter and asked for the person working to check. He did and he asked the manager. The manager at 12:06pm on 6/10 blamed me for not standing at the counter waiting for my order. Stating she yelled for me. Again the order clearly says table locator number 55. Very rude manager terrible atmosphere. No refills. Food is what you expect. It makes sense why this location only has a 2.9 out of 5 stars. Absolutely terrible. Gut the management staff and start over. Starting with this one.

1 car ahead of me yet I waited 12 minutes for a burger and cheese burger. The bun on the fish was tore in 2 and tarter sauce all over the broken bun and the killer part is they told me the wait was because they were making the fish fresh. I've been working in the area for 20yrs and I do my best not to use this McDonald's because the service is never up to par. Guess I have to just call it a wrap for this particular establishment

I waited at this McDonald’s for dine in for an hour and ended up having to request a refund for my food. After the half hour mark I had asked multiple times when my food would be ready and got no answer. I saw multiple cars go through and people come in and get orders placed after mine. When I requested a refund I was told to wait for the manager. The manager was not even in the store, she was apparently outside the whole time. It took her nearly 10 minutes to come inside and give me my refund. She seemed high out of her mind and barely knew how to use the machine. Do not go to the McDonald’s especially at night or to dine in as they will prioritize drive through and door dash and the customer service is horrible.

I try to find the good and share honestly, but this location is one of the worst I have ever visited. I pass this location on my way to work daily and even if I order ahead on the app, it is never ready or even close to ready. The bathrooms are abhorrent and the staff dont seem to care about anything. I have pre- paid and had to leave without my order on each attempted visit. I would say to try this location at your own risk. Sorry to leave a negative review but in fairness, its a very honest review.
Sarah M — Google review
Absolutely awful. You'll wait 45 minutes for your food on the regular. Drive to the Washtenaw one instead, you'll get your food faster even if it's 10+ minutes further. This store doesn't ever have enough employees in the back, just to save money. They don't care that your experience is awful, they still profit.
Ryan P — Google review
What's with the removal of the soda fountain and ketchup pumps? It's like this location is doing their hardest to make everything less convenient for their customers. They don't even leave ketchup packs out; you have to flag down one of their already overworked employees to get some! Ridiculous! The food itself tastes fine, but management/ownership need to understand that by taking these conveniences away it reflects poorly on them and their attitude towards their customers. Like, why are we going backwards in terms of accessibility? To save a few pennies? Come on. It's so incredibly petty.

I love the Affogato.... they make it so well. Unfortunately it's now switched from glass/ ceramic to plastic, which ain't great for taste. I also wish there were choices to the icecream flavor than plain vanilla.... :) Apart from that, it's A2's fav coffee chain, lots of croissants and sandwiches, and also brownies, pastries and scones. The Ice Dragons are a perennial fav 😍 Look out for the zodiac themed branded glasses around Lunar New Year. Collected a few in red, the Snake and rabbit were gold and white not as great as the red ones, but that's a 12 year purchase list if you're into it.

Cool vibe. Huge outdoor space although not much shade. My chicken salad sandwich was very good but definitely on the small side

Wow!! My boyfriend and I came here for the first time today, roaming the city with which I am a resident: my boyfriend is from Royal Oak. I could tell he was not going to settle for any ‘ol meal off the street. He was taken aback by the menu style but was intrigued by the options. The main dining room is buzzing with chatter and cheer over meals meats and vegetables made with true mindfulness. The space and the seating was copious, the drinks range from awesome to even more awesome. Try the “karate chimp” if you’re into something a little fruity. The Guest Services staff at all register order and pay stops were exceptionally well behaved in their hats as employees. Everyone that works here is quite literally iconic looking. There is a beautiful black and white portrait of Nelson Mandela in one of the more intimate corners of the space that is approximately 4-5,000sq/ft. Kasha was working the dining room as service and tender and Lordy, was it a pleasure to see her work with another coworker to manage and maintain the restaurant’s atmosphere. This is a GREAT place for ANY occasion. Personal, business, pleasure, party, etc. ! Thank you, YORK Food and Drink for your business!!!!

Price is definitely high but fair due to the quality of food and service. The place is clean and confortable. The patio is fantastic (so rare in Ann Arbor). Food is wonderful. Evening is great but we also really enjoy the place for a breakfast or a fun lunch. The patio being kids friendly this is really unique. This is a simple place to enjoy your time with friends.
