Hot waitress...serving up excellent food. Well worth a stop if you haven't already visited. We had breakfast 😋. Did I mention the hot waitress?

Unique and good burger. - Diner Burger - $15: True smash burger. Tall. The burger patties were done right and carmelized. They were slightly thicker for smash patties, but still plenty thin for the sear experience. The mildly spicy brown mustard (dijonnaise) really made it unique. It gave it a bolder, yet light and hardy flavor. Add to that the medium sized shredded romane (?) lettuce, it had a texture and flavor that made it richly enjoyable. The onion and tomato were fresh. It was hot to the end. It was a bit messy, but I loved every bite. - Fries (comes with the burger): Medium cut and on the darker side. Full flavor. They looked worse than they were. I enjoyed them. They needed a touch more salt, but not much. They have a smaller and simpler menu. - Service: VERY helpful and on top of it for how busy it was. He answered all our questions, even asking the cook about the sauce (later found to be mustard). - Atmosphere: More upscale, but you can definitely still be casual (I was). They have booths, chairs with tables, bar seating, and even a few tables with benches outside. It had a few nuances of the 30’s which was classy. Everything was clean and orderly. - Conclusion: I’d recommend the burger and the dining experience all around. Visited on a Wednesday at 6pm.

We loved our first visit to Cherie Inn! Everything was perfect but our service was beyond perfection! 7 stars! Our waiter chose our food for us and did a marvelous job. I'm not sure exactly what to call it, but I had Surf & Turf Benedict and my daughter had Beef Hash Benedict with French Toast. We wouldn't change a thing. So much fun. We will be back. Drop in and give Cherie Inn a try. You'll love it too!

Holy cow have you been to Lucy’s in Grand Rapids! Ranked one of the best 100 brunch places in America and for good reason! I had the huevos rancheros and the avocado smash was spectacular. The ladies all got amazing stuff too, including in house made donuts, scones, and breakfast biscuits. Wow! Oh and our server Lauren was super lovely!

Food is always great.The service is always wonderful. I'm grateful for options for vegan and gluten free. Took a friend here visiting from california.Who is gluten free and vegetarian, i am vegan, so this was able to accommodate both of us and provide lots of delicious options. Our server was outstanding and the manager came by the table and talked to us before we left. He was very friendly and informative, it looked like he was checking in on all the tables to make sure they were happy, which is always nice to see This is one of my favorite spots for brunch/ breakfast!

Talk about yum! We were in town for the Lantern Festival and stumbled upon this place for breakfast. First impressions are holy hazelnut. They are known for their hazelnut coffee and it smells heavenly upon entering! I greatly appreciated them having a half order of eggs Benedict because I wanted a couple of different things and didn’t want to waste. Definitely get the iced cafe Wolfgang, the hashbrowns are AMAZING!!, and the banana bread French toast! They have a super convenient text wait time, so they text you once your table is ready! I would definitely go back if we were in town!

Got to Grand Rapids and was hungry so my Girlfriend and I looked up something to eat. We had our kids with us so honestly we were looking for french fries. We read the menu and saw fries and also was walking distance from our hotel so off we went. We got there and we were the ONLY people and seated. The gentleman that was our server was so friendly and helpful. They had a huge kids menu too. The kids wanted pancakes but stopped serving breakfast at 3pm it was 3:15, so he asked if the chef would mind, the pancakes were made!! The Chef name Coach came out to talk with us as well he was kind, warm and engaging. My girl had her food custom made and they didn't blink an eye. The food SLAPS so hard!! Love was truly put in it and we could feel it. The kids ate all they could as well. Needless to say GO HERE!! The staff, food and overall environment is fantastic.

The food came out extremely fast. The chorizo breakfast burrito was absolutely incredible. I also really enjoyed the cold brew, latkes, and matcha. The atmosphere is killer with lots of natural light and the bar offers great views of the historic neighborhood.

It's been 2 weeks and I can't stop thinking about this place. The food and atmosphere were absolutely amazing. I got the Benedict and it was one of the best breakfast I've had. The little microgreens they put on top really add that extra pizazz and flavor. I loved that they had a jug of water at the table so I can refill myself. My mom was really happy with her meal. If I were to be back in Grand Rapids I would absolutely make this stop again. They weren't very busy for a Saturday morning at 10:00! Best part about my trip to GR.

I've been here multiple times and have been more impressed each time I've visited. The service was consistently great and food tasted amazing! The omelettes have been fluffy and generously filled. The pancakes are also generously topped with fruit or chocolate of your choosing. If you're ever going through GR, make a stop here for one of the best breakfasts places in the area.

This was such a great spot for our small group of friends to gather for brunch last weekend ☺️ The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the icy weather outside, the food was phenomenal with a variety of options that all sounded delicious 😋 Best of all for me was the special Valentine's Day Rose Chai Latte which had a silky smooth and rich flavor and texture! It was so good I forgot to get a picture before it was gone!!

WE almost didn't come here because there were bad reviews but I am so glad we did! The food was great and the servers were friendly. Clean and tidy dining area and clean bathrooms too. I recommend for sure!

During a recent business trip, I had the pleasure of discovering a charming southern kitchen nestled in a cozy neighborhood. My brunch presentation of each dish was meticulous, from the vibrant, perfectly plated Brussels sprouts appetizer to the succulent mountain flank steak, cooked to perfection. The spectacular food was complemented by the serene atmosphere of sitting on the spacious patio, surrounded by lush greenery under a clear, blue sky—truly an ideal setting. The service was exceptional—attentive without being intrusive, with staff members genuinely welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. I washed down my meal with a refreshing cold brew, which was expertly brewed and served icy cold. Given the memorable experience and the quality of the food and service, I would eagerly dine here again—absolutely, in a heartbeat.

Very first time I was there however I went with my surrogate mother whose friend of the family was one of the cooks and she insisted I try the restaurant. The food was amazing and I highly recommend one of the breakfast burritos or the banana bread pudding waffles both were out of this world! Great Ambiance and the staff were super friendly, outgoing, more than helpful and I will definitely be returning to this establishment. I thought Anna's house was my favorite but I think I found a new favorite breakfast establishment.

I went on for breakfast about 8an on a Wednesday morning. It was mostly empty, with the exception of a group of people in a back dining room. The menu was a little weird because the prices weren't in a proper format. For example, the omelet I had just had 14.5 after it. No dollar sign, no zero in the cents where you would expect it. I asked to make sure I understood the prices. I chose the Classic Omelet was made like a western omelet would be, with everything mixed into the eggs instead of the egg outside with the ingredients in the center. It was good. I had the red skin potatoes. They were different than anything I've had before. The closest description I can give is they were like large home fries with the skin on. The omelet came with one standard side, so I didn't have any toast with it, which I would have liked. Overall, I'd say good but not a spectacular place. I'm not to the area, so I'm exploring and will try somewhere else next time.

It's really an outstanding little coffee /breakfast / sandwich place. The coffees we got were spectacular with a perfect mix of crafted flavors and coffee. It totally made me miss the "little place around the corner" that was put out of business by the chain places. I know they are now my first choice when in Grand Rapids. We got some handhelds out of convenience our first night, and were totally blown away with how good they were. Very happy we were lazy that night. Staff was very pleasant and social, which I liked, and it felt like they went out of their way to make our visit a good one. We will certainly stop in again in 2 months on our next mini trip.

Decided to take this drive and meet my friends from NC here. There was a long wait but it was worth it. The food was delicious, drinks were amazing and it was inexpensive. I had the Peanut Butter stuffed French Toast, which is a MUST HAVE! I loved them. I also ordered the Southern Scram which was great! The best part is that they served Motu Viget which is a great tasting “Black Owned” wine. Can’t wait to go back here when I’m in town

Great brunch menu. Our party had the crab omelette, Waygu steak and eggs, and the grain bowl. Everything was so tasty. The restaurant was fairly busy on a late Sunday morning but wait list was easy and definitely worth it.

The JW Marriott Grand Rapids is a solid choice if you’re looking for a nicer, upscale Marriott experience in the area. The rooms were clean and well-maintained—everything felt in good working order, which is really all you can ask for. The staff was friendly and professional, and a few team members stood out for being especially helpful without being overbearing. One thing worth mentioning: the duvet on the bed was surprisingly comfortable—warm, soft, and perfect for a good night’s sleep. It’s a small detail, but one that made the stay more enjoyable. Overall, it’s a well-run hotel with good service and a comfortable setup. Nothing over-the-top, but definitely a reliable and pleasant place to stay.

This is an older down home restaurant. Our server was very friendly and gave us very good service. We ordered chicken fried steak. The meal was tasty topped with a delicious gravy. They offer daily breafast and dinner specials. The pricea overall were reasonable. The only negative was we had trouble finding the person to pay when we were ready to leave.

Choo Choo Grill chugs out a lot from a small space. Two booths and about a dozen stools at the counter. The hamburgers did not disappoint. Very juicy and flavorful. Fries were fine as a side. Milkshake rich and creamy.

Like stepping back in time. I'd heard about the olive burger, but never had one, as this was my first time in West Michigan. It's simple, but I understand why it works. I got one as a meal with fries and slaw, and a slice of coconut cream pie. The food is served somewhat cafeteria-style. You grab a tray and move down a line. It's kind of impressive how they make the food quickly enough that it doesn't hold up the line. Desserts & such are already sliced up, sitting in a cold case. The pie was a tad too dense for me, but that's really my only complaint about the food. I loved the decor. I know it can be tempting to want to modernize, but people enjoy the novelty of spaces like this. It's oddly large, so there's no rush. The older gentleman next to me was finishing his breakfast and reading the paper. Never change, Mr. Burger! You've got something special going on.

We’re crazy for this place! Excellent latte and coffee, amazing baked goods, and such yummy breakfast items. We shared the asparagus toast one morning, and wow! So good. We’ll be back one day.

Staff was courteous, professional, attentive and prompt. The Americano coffee purchased was excellent due in part to the dark roast of the beans. It is great to taste and see a good dark roast, as espresso should be. Too many coffee shops opt for a more blond roast. We are on our 5th espresso machine at home and know a good cup when we taste it.

Kaffeine is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is so fun and vibrant, with great decor that adds to the experience. The staff was incredibly nice, making the visit even better. While it did take a bit for the food to come out, it was well worth the wait. The food was absolutely amazing—so flavorful and perfectly cooked. It was provided to me during a meeting a few weeks ago, and it stayed on my mind ever since! Let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint the second time around! If you’re craving incredible Korean food, this is the spot to check out. Highly recommend! Note, parking is located behind the building. Use the back entrance, go up the stairs, and it’s the door to the left. The door wasn’t clearly marked, so I wasn’t sure whether or not I was in the right place.

Everything on the menu looked so good. My wife and I decided on the chipotle southwest bowl and the twilight French toast. Both were great! Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. Waitress was very kind and attentive. Place was very busy, but still quick to seat us and overall service was fast too. Only downside is it feels a little crowded when it’s busy and sitting by the door during the winter can be cold with the door opening a lot.

I gotta say who ever they put in charge has really completely changed this place around. Ive never seen a business do a complete 180 this quick. Great job and keep up the amazing work. Will be back more

Amazing food and service every single time, however today the service was super fast. I recommend trying out breakfast or lunch on a weekday and avoiding the large crowd on Saturday or Sunday. We enjoyed the strawberry waffles and the veggie hash. I also wanted to show additional pictures of the awesome fresh pastry selection.

Had a nice experience dining here. Banana loaf bread with house butter was a nice starter. Nice kids menu. Would recommend for a budget meal. They serve drinks in a traditional glass jar and kids get a plastic glass with straw. Even though she was busy, the server stopped by couple of times asking if the meal was good and we needed something.

What a great and well-kept restaurant! Food was excellent! Just like any of the other Russ's I've visited. It's really obvious this family business is handled with care and dedication to high standards!

She was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her kindness and great service made the meal even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back—highly recommend asking for Madison if you want a top-notch dining experience!

The servers were great. We had coney dogs, waffle fries, cheese curds, and broccoli cheddar bites. Everything was very good. It has a nice atmosphere and everything was clean. They are open 24 hours and serve breakfast all day. I will definitely be going back. There are still several items on the menu that I want to try

A Quiet Night at Denny’s The parking lot was covered in a thick layer of snow, tire tracks barely visible in the dim glow of the streetlights. The roads had been icy for miles, and after days of driving, I needed a break—somewhere warm, somewhere familiar. The bright yellow Denny’s sign stood out against the cold night like a beacon, promising exactly what I needed: hot coffee, good food, and a moment to breathe. Inside, the restaurant was almost empty. No truckers hunched over their coffee, no late-night chatter filling the air. Just the hum of the heater and the soft clatter of dishes from the kitchen. A waitress— a young kid in her twenties but with an old soul, and with a kind face—greeted me with a smile. “Find a seat, sweetheart,” she said, her voice warm and familiar, like something out of an old movie. I slid into a booth by the window, watching the snow swirl under the streetlights. She set a steaming cup of coffee in front of me. “You look like you’ve been on the road a while,” she said. “You could say that.” I wrapped my hands around the cup, letting the warmth sink in. Ordering was easy. Eggs over easy, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hash browns. The kind of meal that fills you up and reminds you that life isn’t just about moving from one place to the next. The food arrived quickly, and it was exactly what I expected in the best way possible. The eggs were perfectly runny, the bacon crisp, the sausage savory and rich. The pancakes were light and golden, soaking up just the right amount of syrup. The hash browns had that perfect balance—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. It was classic Denny’s, the kind of meal you can count on no matter where you are. The waitress checked on me a couple of times, always with a warm smile, always calling me “sweetheart.” It wasn’t forced, just genuine kindness, the kind you don’t always find on the road. I couldn’t figure out why the place was so empty. Maybe the weather had kept people in, or maybe it was just one of those quiet nights. Either way, I didn’t mind. For a little while, it felt like the world had slowed down, like I had found a small pocket of warmth in the middle of all the cold and distance. By the time I stepped back into the night, the snow was still falling, the roads still slick with ice. But I felt better—full, rested, and ready to keep going.

I stopped by Scorpions Heart Club yesterday — it is an awesome space and I had a wonderful experience. It’s hard to sum up in a review: in short, this is a warm and comfortable space packed with art, cool goods for sale, and affirming (and often times hilarious) posts and sayings. My barista offered and served up an awesome drink selection based on my tastes. It was quiet and peaceful. Everyone in the cafe was relaxed and welcomed. I’ll be back soon!

Ate outside and a girl with special needs came out and cleaned off our table!! Not only am I impressed with her kindness and helpfulness, but kudos to the Panera owner in finding a stellar employee!! Also, the food was delicious!

I was in a time crunch and made a mistake on an online order. The staff and the manager were very patient and accommodating. I really appreciated them. They saved me a ton of stress!

Prepare to be so full from this place. You will get so much delicious food at a value without sacrificing any flavor. I was very impressed with how quick the service was and how delicious the food was. I highly recommend the chicken fried steak as you get a huge heaping fried steak patty topped with hashbrowns and eggs your way and piping hot sausage gravy. I highly recommend this breakfast everyday, any day. 👍👍👍

This is a really big Panera nestled between two buildings in downtown Grand Rapids. There's no parking so you have to walk to get there. It's my first time at a Panera. We ordered Broccoli Cheddar soup in a bowl and in a bread bowl with chips and a baguette. The baguette was hard but the soup was amazing. It's a beautiful location.

I always go to this Panera Bread because they are nearest to my house. But also, the staff are very friendly and helpful. They remember your name and go out of their way to make you feel at home.

We had a very enjoyable breakfast at Russ’s restaurant on Alpine today, nice size servings, and very reasonably priced. Service was exceptionally good , waitress checked in on us several times. There were lots of additional food items that could be purchased, we didn’t purchase anything because we were out shopping, but the next time in I’m going to try the cinnamon rolls as they looked very tasty.

We were seated quickly. The place was clean. The waitress, Patti, was friendly and helpful with my dietary restrictions. There were great improvements being made! The food looked and tasted delicious!

Rowster Coffee is one of my favorite cafes in Grand Rapids. They have a pour over manual brew which is a sign of a great coffee spot! Their lattes are not overly sweetened and very well executed. They have a great atmosphere with a friendly helpful staff. I would highly recommend Rowster Coffee and will definitely be back.
