Great atmosphere with heritage and an amazing roof. I had the steak+ fries + salad which was nice. I recommend doing a reservation as I got lucky to get a table without it. Bathroom was not accessible. Restaurant located at the centre of Hamburg.

Very nice place. Inside the restaurant is very nicely decorated. We were there for the breakfast and you can find very nice french bakery and breakfast in the menu. We had croissant sandwiches and croque monsieur. All were very delicious. The menu was very nice for the evening and dinner too. It’s a very nice stop in the city

Worth a visit for the late-19th century Art Deco interior alone (the oval ceiling medallions especially. The breakfasts are excellent, from tartare cheval to avocado on toast topped with a poached egg Quite busy on weekends, but the preternaturally calm wait staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Nice place. Beautiful tiling from long past times. Good food, can recommend the Moroccan Breakfast. Prices very high, 6,40 € for a 0,2 orange juice is hefty.

I go to Cafe Paris quite often for dinner because it is close to work. I usually get the steak frites since this is the go to meal in any French restaurant. The fries are amazing and so is the salad. Yesterday, however, the meat was so stringy that only a third of it was edible. For 35 Euros I would expect a better prepared cut. It was a disappointing meal in a usually wonderful restaurant.

Was maybe going to be 4 stars, but then I ate the German potatoes and they were 7 stars so averages out to 5. Busy place, needs more staff to keep up with demand. We were there on a Monday evening and just two staff members who literally didn't stop moving the entire time, clearly struggling to keep up with the orders. But they were very helpful despite us being just English speakers, and the food was delicious. Skip the roast beef, but definitely get the schnitzel. A neighboring table ordered a steak which looked fantastic, too. And do not skip the German potatoes (Bratkartoffeln)!

We ordered jager schnitzel, potatoes gratin and currywurst. We were amazed on how big the serving was. Never seen a schnitzel which is bigger than the plate. We came in without any reservations, they told us we only have an hour. But they were not that strict with that hour. Yes, it was not only us who were told we only have an hour. I think that is how it is when you come without a reservation. We will definitely try it again. We went home with a filled tummy. We can roll like a ball after. 🤭

I'm visiting from Australia and I went to Ericka's Eck last night and it was amazing! I ordered a Wien schnitzel and it's the biggest schnitzel that I've ever seen!! It was delicious. I discovered this restaurant thanks to their Instagram video about rasierte Ärschlocher. 😂 10/10 would go again.

My friends and I dined here on Friday evening. We escaped the gloom of the November hamburg evening and were welcomed by the warmth and traditional atmosphere. The schnitzel was sublime and the curry wurst was one of the nicest we have had. Simply wunderbah!

Thanks to the chef's TV appearances, the Bullerei is very well known among tourists. But Hamburg residents also enjoy dining in the cozy and spacious atmosphere. Classic dishes dominate the menu, and the chef has managed to strike a balance between down-to-earth cuisine and high quality. Also chef’s enjoy their dinner at Bullerei regularely. The flavors are not very special and contain no surprising ingredients, but you will not be disappointed. The service was great, a mix between understatement but very attentive! Bullerei is always worth a visit. But don‘t forget to make a reservation.

We had a birthday dinner and ordered a la carte. The portion was very big so we couldn't even eat up. The stake was perfectly prepared and roasted vegetables were also 10/10. The service was also very attentive and gave me two shots of Eierlikör in the end.

Friendly service, Wine came quick, Burgers took about 27 min , 90s music playing outside, Blankets and pillows are quite dated. Burger was juicy and still pink in the middle. A bit bland though. We were missing the sumptuous feeling. For claiming to be a smashed burger there were absolutely no charred crispy bits on all of our combined 4 patties. Which left us with unfulfilled taste buds. Fries were crunchy and had nice seasoning. I can only talk for the burger, for which I would nit return. Overall a bit underwhelming.

Really good food here. Just had Entrecôte The Black Uruguay 300g with mushrooms and salad, it was all lovely. I didn't book but I'd recommend if there's more than one to book ahead because it was busy

It's one of those places you want to check out once then never come back. Everything is slow here so be patient if you're used to fast services. I had the Filet Cut from Ireland and it was good. Not sure if I would try steaks from Australia or Uruguay since they're so far away. My eating philosophy is to keep things local or close by. 😉 Fun design so do come and have a drink and check it out if you can get a table. Reservation recommended.

Great visit at Bullerei! The service was extraordinary. They were friendly, attentive, patient and very knowledgeable. Just overall great. The food was superb. I wished I would have been more adventurous. My selection was from the daily (or weekly) special was still great though. I highly recommend to visit the place. It'll be a great experience. And have trust in the chefs there, the food will be great whatever you choose. I'm sure of it!

Was there for a work event in the privately hired room behind the main restaurant. We were well.looked after, fed brilliantly and the atmosphere was superb. They looked after us very well. The meals were great and it was quiet enough to have a conversation easily.

Beautiful classic fish restaurant in Hamburg - can really feel the history of the place. Fish and seafood dishes are excellent, all are very rich and buttery. Recommend the mixed starter, with 5 separate small items for variety. Service was excellent and decor very cool

The food, the wine and the service is all impeccable. We love Hamburg in general, been here several times. But you can’t miss this gem. The waiting staff is very talented in my opinion. We didn’t have to think ourselves for even a moment. Thank you!

I have no idea what other people are eating when they say "world class"... but that was NOT our experience. Smoked Eel and scrambled egg was a novelty for a non-native and surprisingly, very pleasant. Everything we ate after that was a dissapointment. Staff were pleasant, if somewhat erratic and MIA, which is hard to fathom as there are a LOT of staff on the floor. My wife was really looking forward to a good Sole Meunière - unfortunately, over cooked, (seemingly either shallow or possibly deep fried, but didnt taste like it was done in butter?) the flesh was dry and the whole fish was presented naked, on a bare plate with a jug of what looked and tasted like a mix of hot vegetable oil and (possibly?) butter that she was to "dress" it with... ? Not great value for money at €75. (NB Had my wife insisted that I "not make a fuss" I would have sent both her's and mine back) The North Sea Turbot I had @€69.50 was equally dissapointing. Again it appeared to have been over cooked and possibly deep fried as it had a hard "shell" of flour or a batter of some sort all over it? The flesh inside was tasteless. The "mess" of overcooked vegetables created the final factor in the trifecta of dissapointment that was our €300+ last meal in the beautiful city of Hamburg. We were really excited to finish off our visit to Hamburg on a high note but left without finishing either main dish or the bottle of wine. We left quietly, very dissapointed and unsatisfied from what should have been, by all accounts, a sensational seafood dinner... Who knows, maybe the main chef was off on a Monday Night and they let the apprentice cook our meals?

Friendly, prompt service and great crêpe. Had the classic which is cheese, ham and egg. The salads are also very good and have the pâté de campagne if you are hungry. They also have a great selection of ciders from Brittany and sell it also by the bottle. They also have a cute clothing shop by the entrance.

What can I say—this is a true classic French crêperie, and in my opinion, they serve the best crêpes in the city. The buckwheat savory crêpes are spot on, and the Brittany-style caramel crêpes are absolutely divine. I’m already back home and still thinking about those rich, luscious, caramelly crêpes. A must-visit if you love authentic French flavors!

The food was excellent!!!! I thought just a plate of galette wouldn't make me 'full' but it was quite filling and very satisfying amount. The price is reasonable and the volume is also good. The staff was nice and friendly. They speak French there which is so cool, and feels like I was in France. lol The setting was cute and cozy, cool and fancy. I'd love to go back again!

Nice food from Brittany. All the cooks and servers are French and agreable. The service was fast, and the prices are reasonable. I can recommand the Artichaude if you like goat cheese ! The ambiance is very Breton.

This place is an absolute gem. If I lived in Hamburg, I would be here weekly. The service was incredible; the best I’ve received anywhere in Germany. I was recommended the “Estivales” by Antony and it was top 5 foods I’ve ever had. Say hi to Antony from us :).

This little gem is offering creative food during lunchtime. Arrive early or the place will be completely packed with people. There is a changing menu with vegetarian options available. I have so far always found food that I very much enjoyed. I really like the taste profile here. There is always an element of surprise and the food is h thought through and well executed. The service is swift and friendly. Payment is only by cash.

I ordered of the most expensive dishes - shrimp dumplings for 14,90 Euros. So, I thought the portion would be big and the shrimps would come in pieces not mixed with flour. Unfortunately, I got only 5 dumplings in a size of a spoon. It‘s ridiculous. (See picture) By the way, they only except cash.

This is a new favourite, the food here is absolutely delicious. Simple menu, very fresh, dishes bursting with flavor. This place is always busy, good chance you'll have to wait for a table, but it's worth it.

The food here is awesome. Singapore has really good Viet cuisine but this cafe in Hamburg ranks as one of the best I've had. I tried the chicken wings with rice, the mince beef with rice and the chicken in coconut curry. All of the dishes were fantastic and so is the Viet coffee. A must try!

The food is awesome. Usually it takes time to find a table but the wait is always worth it. The menu also changes every week so you can find something new everytime you go there. You also have a large selection of drinks to go with the food. The atmosphere is very good. It's not very big place so you always have to wait during the peak time of 12-2. In summer you can also sit outside and enjoy the food with some sun 😊.

Really nice food, the daily menu is always changing so you can always try something new. You wait a bit to get your food because it’s usually crowded during lunch, but it’s definitely worth it. Such a shame that they are open only during the day.

First of all, the service was good. I didn’t really speak German but the lady was kinda and patient while taking my order. The currywurst on the other hand was OK. The wurst itself was good (crispy outside and well seasoned), but the sauce was bit too sweet for my taste. Maybe it’s just me (and my limited knowledge about currywurst lol).. but I tried bett- a more suitable currywurst according to my palate haha. But it’s a good place with great location.

I came here because of the good reviews and was disappointed by the food. The location and atmosphere are nice. I’ve had the Currywurst with potato salad. The potato salad didn’t taste like much and the curry sauce tasted like sweet tomato paste with chili. I’ve had way better, especially for that price.

A famous Currywurst stall in Hamburg. The sauce was thick and tasty. The lady at the shop asked if we wanted spicy and we said “very spicy”. But it turned out that it wasn’t spicy at all 😂😂😂🤣

The home made curry wurst sauce leveled up the dish to a just okay sausage which could have had more grill flavour to it.

The team might seen unfriendly,but tjey are not. Go with a currywurst and kartoffelsalat, bread is extra but helps you to finish the 200ml sauce you get. Enjoy!

Lovely place, I was lucky to find a table for one person without reservation after 20:00. Great good, great variety of meat ( local and import ) and wine. Solo or couple or business meeting, add the your where to eat list 🤙🏼👍🏼

Their service mentality, food, ambience, they obviously deserve to hear nothing but only good things. We tried 21 days dry aged Irisches Weiderind and Rumpsteak, chief prepared my steak just as I demanded; medium rare. It was perfect cooked! Irisches was with a bit more fat percentage a bit more delicious by the way. Grilled Green pepper were delicious as well and were a perfect companion to steak. French fries were crunchy enough. We drank Pinot Noir and Malbec as per Claudia's recommendation, Malbec was spicy and strong enough which perfectly fits to my taste. All the waiters and waitresses can speak perfect English btw. Ambience was crowded but not too loud, it was such a cozy and clean Restaurant. Definitely we will be back, Thank you and conguratulations for great job!

Negative experience. Confusion over having a drink before dinner seating, caused the staff to stress. They encouraged us to try their fresh chimichurri, which was brown, stale and simply not chimichurri. Maybe their version of it, and it wasn’t fresh or tasty. Piemento Padron were over cooked and lost their color. The bottle of wine we ordered arrived at the table after our food, and was already opened. We tried it. It was completely off. Clearly it had been sitting out, opened and exposed to heat. They brought another that I had to ask to be opened at the table - as it should be. This is basic stuff. The final slap was the rat trap we noticed less than half a meter from our table. Steak was great, but presentation completely absent. Not worth it. Pretty awful dining experience.

Had the pleasure of visiting estancia steaks during a hot summer day. They have a nice seating area outside, which fits a decent amount of people. The tartare looked a bit oxidized visually, but was very tasty. The beef was ordered rare but was probably closer to a medium rare. The sear is great and gives it that umami flavor. Overall a very good spot and I understand the popularity of the place.

I disagree with some of the previous reviews regarding the pricing. I find this restaurant very reasonably priced for the level of quality, service and ambiance. I absolutely love this restaurant!!! The food quality is outstanding, and the service is incredible. Claudia and her team provide service that is fantastic. The ambiance is great as well. Do not pass up the chance to eat here. I ate here twice in one week while attending a conference in Hamburg.

I don't understand the negative ratings this restaurant is receiving. Everything was perfect -- food, service, location. Would definitely want to come back here.

We love the coast restaurant, great food, great atmosphere, but over the years the price/benefit ratio is constantly going down. Smaller portions (just an example the Creme brulee is probably half the size it used to be). getting to the 'not worth it anymore' point, which is sad but spending 150 Eu on two starters, one sushi plate and two drinks? Sadly only only 3 stars because of the prices

We have been living in Hamburg for long time, and this place has been our list to visit. And we finally visited Coast by East Hamburg for a special occasion. The high ceiling, green ambience, great view through glass walls, etc. made the good initial impression. Waiter was helpful and patient. And the food tasted good. Not the best sushi/roll that I ever tasted, but beautiful presentation, good taste, and good portion were worth the money.

What a pleasant surprise. Was looking for a relaxing place to have a light lunch during a rainy afternoon. Terrific atmosphere. Sushi here was unbeatable and the service was top notch. Well worth the visit.

I definitely recommend this restaurant! It was a nice surprise in Hamburg. The bread and the dip were quite good! Then I ate the fish and it was amazing! However the pasta disappointed a bit. The risotto and the tuna were also pleasant choices! All the dishes brought agreeably flavour mixes sensations, so it was good to try different dishes compared to the usual ones.

We order the course dinner but the 3tier presentation for the respective course was nice but not practicable as the food gets cold while we take time to finish. Would prefer the conventional way of serving. Appertiser; tuna tartare was good . Oyster was not clean well as it was still sandy. For the main, tuna and salmon was a bit dry. Dessert :Tiramisu was good .

So glad I returned to this very friendly and charming neighbourhood restaurant after 10 years, only wish it had not been so long. Very attentive and jovial service and a fabulous variety of fresh fish but deciding what to have was a difficult choice! Prawns, Bouillabaisse, oysters, halibut, sea bass, tuna, salmon, sea bream, pike-perch! Very glad I opted for the prawns, they were sublime, some of the best I have experienced. Followed by a mountain of aromatic mussels all washed down with copious quantities of wine - the list much improved from my previous visit. Altogether excellent value for money and definitely worth the 20 minute bus ride from the centre(Bus 6 or 17 from around the Hauptbahnhof). Highly recommended if you enjoy fish sympathetically prepared.

(Last visited 12/1/2023.) It speaks volumes of a certain restaurant when I've been to this part of the world 2 times and have eaten here 3 times. Liman truly blew us away with our first experience so we came back again and again. Here's why... Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is set in Hamburg, but a little further away from the hustle & bustle of downtown in more of a residential section, but still busier than a suburb. Reservations are recommended, but whenever we came here it never seemed busy. The inside is very modern, chic, contemporary, upscale and laid back. It was quiet and just made for a great place I would love to hang out in. Service: Apart from the food, Alice, our server was another reason we kept on coming back. She was truly amazing. She was sweet, funny, personable, made great recommendations and just had an addictive personality. Food: We've tried everything from the filet mignon, to the salmon, to the mixed grill, a series of desserts, pulpo, scallops, you name it. They never missed. This place specialized in seafood, hence its name and it nailed every single dish. My wife literally dreamt about the salmon with the pea foam or whatever it was after the first time she had it. Then the dessert! I could go on and on, but I won't since I only have so many characters to use. The food is exquisite... that's why we kept on coming back. Value: It's a seafood restaurant. Enough said. It's going to be expensive, but not suit & tie-dinner jacket required type of expensive. Bring your wallet regardless because you're going to want everything on the menu. Lol. You can guess my conclusion. Although, our friend Alice no longer works there, the food will still keep us coming back over and over to try more things on the menu every time we're in Hamburg. Make your way here if you're in the area!

Lovely atmosphere and very good quality of cusine. We came here spontaneously for late Luch and didn't regret it. Owner is very friendly person.I had for my luch Grilled Dorade with Ratatouille and Truffle potatoes. Ratatouille is the best one wich I had in Germany this year. I think the secret is roasted bell papper and tomato for sauce. Taste of vegetable is so intense. So my fish was GRILLED perfectly and not loaded with salt. Very often in Germany quantity of salt to high and this is a big problem. Here everything was top. You dint need be warrid about quality. Top.Pasta with lobster was choosen by my husband. He say sause/ jus was very creamy and delicious. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente .Portions ideal for French people. Due very hot day we skipped desserts Facit :we definitely will come again.

This is a prime example of fake " fine dining" without any real skill or technique. Flashy Churchill plates and stuffy ambiance made to disguise sub par ingredients and inadequately prepared food. We started off with the prawns. The sauce was very nice..creamy, slightly spicy and seasoned just right, the prawns were standard frozen Argentinian red prawns that most restaurants use (the logic of buying frozen shrimp while being less than 100km from the north sea is beyond me) . Definitely not overcooked but a bit chewy as a consequence of the freezing. A promising start nonetheless. We ordered 2 mixed grill fish plates which lacked imagination and were utterly bland and boring, zero salt..zero pepper.The skin was soggy which isn't really acceptable for a restaurant specialized in fish cookery? Mashed potatoes were lumpy and dense and the mangold (chard) completely unseasoned. What a shame

Soups were interesting and tasty. The main dishes were not so good: eggs with Krabben were overdone; Labskaus was standard. The atmosphere and service were ok, but nothing special. And for all of this the price was too high...

This is a place, if you want to taste authentic north-german food. My wife and I ordered the Hamburg Eel Soup, "Lange Anna" and Pickled Young Herring ala Helgoland. 1. Lange Anna : Flaky texture of the fish fillets. The sauce was so smooth. The cheesy and creamy flavour profile of the sauce were perfect for cold days. The basmati rice was a superb side dish to soak up the sauce. 2. Pickled Young Herring ala Helgoland : The three different sauces were the highlights of this dish. This was an acquired taste for foreign tourists though. However, this was one of the iconic dishes of North Germany. 3. Hamburg Eel Soup : The acidic taste of the soup brightened the fishy aroma. However, the restaurant could work on taste of the eel in the future. The strong freshwater aroma, especially from the skin and fat layer of the eel pieces somewhat disturbed. Slightly bigger, more eel pieces or using smoked eels instead of the fresh one could have accentuated this dish better.

Great restaurant in a beautiful location. Crayfish soup was very interesting, different to other crayfish soups I’ve had in my life - more creamy and filling rather than bouillon style. Pannfisch was absolutely delicious, the same as Lange Anna. The portions were also filling and enough. The staff was super friendly and smiley, all in all we absolutely loved it there. :)

Great place to enjoy classic north German cuisine. Super nice and stylish setting in the cellar below the town hall. Emphasis on the traditional holstein kitchen, just like your mutter 😋 would have made it. Good beers and wines. Reasonable pricing.

We went on a Friday evening - early - and got a table for two without any problems. We had delicious cocktails to start with (there are Happy Hour specials). The server was very attentive and the service very quick. We can really recommend the schnitzel (thin and fried to perfection) and the plaice (crispy whole fish - delicious). All in all an excellent meal, though on the pricey side. If you want to have top quality and pay less, go at lunchtime. Highly recommend for lunch and dinner!

Note that the entrance is not inside the main building; it's a door that faces the street. We had the curry sausage, which was very good but might be spicy for some. The spice is in the sprinkle and the sauce, so you can easily avoid it by mainly just eating the sausage. It comes with enough chips/fries to feed an army. It also came with an appetizer of bread.

I just went for drinks after doing a 10 km walk around the city. I didn’t have food but had a couple of drinks. The place is neat, excellent service and a little loud to the number of people dining. Location is perfect. Crowd is a little bit older. Prices are a bit on the mid to higher side.

The view is lovely, the atmosphere laid-back, and the prices are what you’d expect in Hamburg — not cheap, but fair. The entire ordering process is digitalized, which is fine in theory. But here’s the catch: you’re prompted for a tip straight away, even though no one’s actually taken your order. The service is pretty hands-off, and for someone who’s worked decades in hospitality, it leaves a slightly strange aftertaste. That said, when a staff member did swing by the table, they were friendly and professional. All in all, tasty food and a nice spot. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Nice place to visit during sunny summer days.. It is easy to take the boat from city center (boat is in every 20-30 minutes during weekend).. After a boat trip around half an hour you are there.. Nice streets in the village takes you to the beach.. Not very convenient for swimming because the rocky ground at the lake.. Nice place for the kids to play in the sand... I took a pizza there.. Was not very deliciois but pizza is pizza :)

I would say this one is pretty Epic! I guess the most recognisable place on the beach in Hamburg! Great location a bit further from a downtown. They offer plenty options of drinks and food! Incredibly beautiful views, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices! It’s definitely a Hidden Gem in the City!

Slow service but a beautiful view makes up for it. The staff is very nice though. They charge 50 cents for the toilet, which is a bit odd considering they have a table service.

A great place to chill and do the vesselwatching. Cargo ships, cruise liners, duty boats. Amazing. You can enjoy a cup of coffee, or a beer in a cafe. Some nice snacks too. Could be crowded at the weekends. The only thing to mind: the sand could be quite dirty and, which is dangerous, with pieces of broken glass. So one should take care.

From fermented infusions to botanical blends, every drink was a revelation — enhancing the dishes in ways I didn’t think possible without wine. I highly recommend opting for it, if it is a workday the next day — it’s a refreshing and inspiring alternative that deserves just as much praise.

Great Art does not arise from the desire to be everybody’s darling. Without any doubt this evening has been a wonderful experience, although all three of us had our moments where getting the message was kind of challenging. Apple and Peach wine in the wine pairing was a fearless approach that definitely accepted to cause some irritation. Both did make sense with the corresponding dish, but at least I was unable to find a common ground and become best friends with this selection.

The overall experience is worth of the one Michelin star the restaurant has. The overall tasting menu was very good and overall it was a nice experience thanks to the service. The only “complaint” i would have is that the “surprises” at the beginning are a bit too strong in terms of flavor vs what is coming next. I would like expect that the flavors to go higher as we progress through the menu but it was not the case. I would still recommend visiting when in Hamburg!

Beautiful food in a casual setting. The restaurant is really small so you should definitely reserve a table before coming. Staff is friendly and helpful, not too intruding into the private space of the guests. It's a seafood restaurant but there are many meat options and also vegan ones. Their food is pretty good, but also not too spectacular. The pasta seems tobe homemade and super delicious - chewy and comforting. The bread and whatever the dipping sauce/cheese was amazing. For a seafood restaurant, I expected the salmon to be better. It was a tiny bit too dry and needs more seasoning when I was there. The Parmesan foam looks nice, but doesn't really contribute much to the flavor of the dishes. Oh, and high praise to the silverware!

The dress code is casual, the customers from all walks of life and the food is to die for. Every mouthful hits the tastebuds in a fantastic way. The food is exquisite! This is an adventure, it is ART on a plate and the food exceeds your expectations. We celebrated my birthday and my sister-in-laws 40th. The memories created will not be forgotten. An amazing experience and highly recommend treating yourselves to a little bit of heaven. The staff are great! - friendly and very knowledgable. The chefs come out and introduce each course so you feel a connection to the kitchen. If you want a dining experience you will never forget Jellyfish is the restaurant for you! :-)

I can highly recommend the lunch they offer on weekends. Three courses for a great price. We had such a wonderful meal here that makes us want to come back for their entire tasting menu! We both were stunned by their plating - everything just looked wonderful.

Amazingly good fish. Can be one of the best salmon I have ever eaten. The combination with gnocchi, truffle and leek, turned the dish into another level. Good pairing with a German white wine that I forgot the name of,and didn't take any picture of. The Lemon sherbet with vodka,was surprisingly refreshing,and the alcohol did not take over.

Really, really good restaurant. Quite expensive and some might even say, waaay too expensive... It is expensive and no Michelin stars here, but it is actually also quite good service. To be honest, our waiter was very slow to get "started up" but after "demanding his attention" a few times, he started to get the point and from there everything was great! The food tasted really good and seemed fresh. Even the oysters were fresh in taste and overall, great food experience!

To be honest I was quite disappointed with it. The food was okay, some dishes were outstanding some were okay and the dessert was a massive disappointment. We had the Wehmanns menu. The main dish was Iberico and it was incredible delicious, the dessert was some poached peach covered in Zabaoine with some colored Pistachio ice cream. I think especially in a restaurant with this reputation making a ice cream with food coloring that it looks approachable for kids like smurf ice cream is just not good enough. Also the dessert generally didn’t taste good at all. Service was nothing to complain about. Always nice and with the wine recommendations they even looked that the price was okay and we ended up paying 36 per bottle of rose. We paid 977 for 5 people with menus, almost everybody made adjustments to the menu due to dietary restrictions or taste. This was one of the best service regarding this I have ever experienced.

The restaurant understood our quite challenging request and had a perfect menu for us all with amazing taste. Wine list was on another level. Can trust them to pair with food. We had a great time there.

The vegan menu was a complete disappointment. It failed to bring out the flavor and texture of all the ingredients. Especially the beetroot dish was canned texture and full of sauce. I'm angry that I spent four full hours trying to eat this food. The service and taste of Alleno Paris, which I went to in July last year, was great, and it was painful to sit here today. The service of the staff was distracting and far from friendly.

Is a shopping centre of sorts that has areas to cater to everyone's needs. From cafes for different price ranges to a supermarket, you get it all here. Its also huge and pretty which is nice. There's also a few restaurants which have received good reviews. Its close to the bunker which makes it a great place to grab a quick bite

There are toilets availabe.Easy to reach via U-bahn Feldstraße. Next to the area that houses the bi annual Dom. Also next to the St. Pauli stadium.

Solid Italian style pizza. Pizza was quite good and the place is really cozy a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends. It is also possible to order out and take the pizza to the neighbourhood - which we did.

Best Neapolitan Pizza outside of Naples. The dough was perfectly made with proper fermentation over several days. You can feel the slow fermentation creating a unique taste in the dough. The oven created a really fluffy but crispy edge. You can taste the quality of the flour they are using. The pizzas are topped with San Marzano tomatoes giving it this typical sweet fruity taste. Buffalo Mozzarella adds the unique intense taste for the cheese. In my preference the Mozzarella could have been charred a little more, maybe air circulation in the oven is not perfect. But that's just complaining on a very high level. I'll be back.

It was great to go there with the idea that alternative beers were being served. The result was better than the expectation. The ipa beers were one by one tasty beers. The atmosphere was great. The bartender took his time to talk and before I knew it I spent 3 hrs on my own at the bar without a moment to get bored. (Sorry to the bar lady who dropped cups of beer due to my abrupt move backwards)

This is a great place to have pizza and beer! This brewery makes several different beers. My favorite is the original Helles! Beer is a bit expensive, around 5 to 6 Euro per 500ml, however pizza is great. I'm a big fan of spicy food, and pizza Tante Picante 🌶 is quite spicy. I was going to give them 4 stars because it's been over 2 months since they don't have the beer tasting tray. however the service was so fast and so friendly that they made up for it. You can always book your table online, so you can make sure you get a spot. Corona rules are respected!

Great place! Very good service, the only thing that made me question 5 stars is host who does not speak English. But all the waiters do speak English! All in all a wonderful experience with very delicious food. The sushi was definitely special and something I never had before. The service was very forthcoming and truly professional. Even though the dining room was getting fuller by the minute, the service was right on time. The Prices were a little bit high for my taste, but not uncommon, especially in that area. The quality of the food they presented justified the prices anyhow at the end. Definitely recommendable.

The service is good, all the staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is good, nice ''industrial'' modern style. The food.......it's pretty much ''Europeanized'' sushi. For German/European standard, it's good sushi. But for Japanese standard, that's too much sause on top. Eating tempura with mayo and dipping sauce, not with dashi wasn't really for Japanese. We ordered the MIX sushi plate, all the sushi and sashimi were covered with sause, which kills the actual taste of fish, which was a bit dissapointing. Using paprika for sushi is just not a good idea. Paprika has too strong taste for sensitive sushi. Sake was good, goes well with sushi. It was very nice to have a wet hand towel, I felt like being in Japan.

One of the things on our to-do list in Hamburg was to go to Brücke 10 and have a fish sandwich 🐟 We went there in the late afternoon—there were only 2–3 people ahead of us, so we got our food without waiting too long. Luckily, we found an empty spot outside and enjoyed our Fischbrötchen (backfisch) and beer with a view 🍻 It was truly fresh and delicious. A tasty and filling street food option at a reasonable price—a true Hamburg classic. 👌🏼

There was a separate takeaway kiosk that was super helpful in avoiding the long queue for a dine-in table. Hot but windy place so many choose to wait to sit under some shade. There’s some seating area above it as well under some umbrellas. Worth a try from the takeaway kiosk — the smoked fish was delicious with the right level of saltiness and fishiness (little)!

What else can be said about this classic? I can only vouch that it has to be a mandatory stop in your trip. Authentic and accessible, the sandwiches are fresh and flavorful. While interacting with the service is limited given the nature of the no-frills place, the contact was always friendly.

it’s the restaurant with the longest line of queuing in this area. the Bismarck sandwich is great with a bit sweet-sour taste. The shrimp sandwich is second to salmon sandwich I think. At last, a bee ruined my drink!

We stopped by Brücke 10 on recommendation, but the experience was underwhelming. Entering the terrace, we were met by a young staff member who seemed more focused on lecturing us than offering a bit of friendly information. If it hadn’t been recommended, we probably would have walked away after that. We ordered the fishball sandwich, which turned out mediocre at best. Maybe our expectations were too high, but it simply wasn’t memorable. On the plus side, the price level matches the quality – €4.60 feels fair. What really didn’t help was the number of pigeons walking around between the tables, which made it less than comfortable to enjoy the food. All in all, not a place we’d make an effort to return to.

Food was great! I had one dish regional from Hamburg, corned beef topped with two eggs and a herring and red beets 🫜 it was good! And also the next day had curry wurst with fries! Amazing! The Apple Strudel was good too!

Very popular with locals and visitors alike but didn't have to wait for a table for one. Indoor & street seating. Authentic German cuisine at excellent prices. Well worth the short walk from the Hbf and plenty of St Georg bars to try on the way back. Had the Bratkartoffeln mit Rührei - so lecker and great portion size. Went back later during my stay for more! Cash only - no credit cards!

The location is very nice, Lange Reihe is a beautiful street. The service is good, the staff is kind and fast.

Centrally located. In walking distance to the Hauptbahnhof. This restaurant is somewhat of an institution in Hamburg. Here, you find german cuisine like Labskaus and hearty stews. It gets busy for their lunch specials. I came for breakfast.

Simple and good German food. The staff were kinda in a rush all the time, that’s why they didn’t seem particularly welcoming, but that’s fine. However, the food came super quickly and paying was fast as well. There were a lot of people inside the pub at the time we ate there so it was quite loud

Today we decided to go out to enjoy some tasty sushi. East was our restaurant of choice. It is a beautiful Building. The sushi was great, but not above the competition. The service was friendly, but sadly it took more than 10 minutes to bring us our drinks and the sushi took even longer. It was slightly busy, but waitstaff was available and standing around with nothing to do. Drinks should take a maximum of 5 minutes to come to the table and at an upper class restaurant they should serve a little appetiser if the food takes longer than 15 minutes to arrive. It’s good if you like to wait, but the food doesn’t justify it sadly.

Went for a monday night dinner with friends. Nice upper mid restaurant, what you would expect from decor and feeling. Menu covered all of the bases well and was not just focused on sushi. Waiter staff all cool and know their jobs. It’s at this point that there should be a 4th criteria. The kitchen. How can a good place be demoted, the kitchen. Dinner was very slow sat at 8 pm and the main course came at 9.47pm. So slow, and it’s not the fault of the restaurant staff, so a fair score. Google please evolve.

The service was absolutely amazing. They did well woth our group and made recommendations based on what we were thinking about. The sushi was absolutely delicious and I'd happily eat it again. The steaks we ordered for main felt a bit of a let down for the price. The cook on them perfect but it lacked something that would've made it worth it.

If you want to enjoy Asian-inspired cuisine of the highest quality, where every single detail is carefully considered, East is the perfect choice. From the moment you step through the doors, you feel that this is not a typical restaurant but an entire concept. You must remember to reserve a table in advance — East is always full, and for good reason. We arrived at 7:30 PM and were warmly greeted and quickly shown to our table. The restaurant offers two very different settings: under the old brick arches with a quieter, more intimate vibe, or in the grand main hall, where the ceiling stretches nearly ten meters high and the atmosphere hums with energy. A live DJ adds to the experience, not just by playing music, but by mixing it with taste and precision, creating a sophisticated yet vibrant mood. The open kitchen lets guests see the chefs at work — mostly Asian — moving with focus and grace as they craft each dish. The menu is extensive, with so many tempting options that choosing becomes difficult. We ordered a large sushi platter for 56 euros, and it was absolutely worth it — an elegant, beautifully presented selection where every piece had a distinct flavor and texture. The level of craftsmanship and the freshness of the ingredients were outstanding. We began with cocktails — four different ones, each unique and beautifully presented. Prices ranged from 16 to 24 euros, and every drink was as refined and flavorful as it was visually stunning. Later, we shared a bottle of wine and finished with dessert: two of us chose something sweet, while another enjoyed two small, handmade chocolates engraved with the restaurant’s own logo — a perfect, thoughtful touch. However, there was one unfortunate detail worth mentioning. We had notified the restaurant in advance that one guest had a severe celery allergy. The staff took it very seriously — which is, of course, commendable — but it was clear that they had not prepared for it beforehand. As a result, several dishes had to be made from scratch, and the guest could not even have soy sauce, as they couldn’t confirm whether it contained traces of celery. While the caution was completely understandable, it did limit the dining experience and created some unnecessary uncertainty. At a restaurant of East’s high level, one might expect the kitchen to have checked such details before service. The combination of superb food, striking interior design, and meticulous attention to atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone who loves fine dining with a creative, international flair. Yes, it’s pricey — but every euro feels justified. If you enjoy Japanese-inspired cuisine, exceptional sushi, and dining in a place where every sense is engaged, East is a restaurant that will stay with you long after you leave.

East restaurant is NOT worth the detour. In my recent stay at the East hotel I decided to experience their restaurant. I have to say it left me thoroughly unimpressed, especially with the sushi. I had heard reasonable things about the place, but my expectations crumbled with the first bite. To start with, the Gamba sushi was simply a disgrace. A prawn dish priced at €20 for eight rather modest pieces, perhaps would compensate through taste and quality, yet it did neither. As I bit into it, I was met with a cold, soggy prawn that lacked any trace of the expected crispiness or warmth. For a moment, I wondered if it was intended to be served this way, so I asked the waiter. He informed me it should indeed be warm and crispy and promised to convey my feedback to the kitchen. Moments later, he returned with an almost laughable response: the kitchen was closed. So, with my first bite being a letdown, I was offered nothing but an apology and, shockingly, a suggestion of a free coffee as consolation. For a dish at this price point, this felt like an insulting gesture, missing the mark entirely. I wanted my dish prepared correctly, not a pity coffee that couldn’t possibly redeem a botched meal. Moving on, the tuna jalapeño roll was barely any better. There was almost no distinct flavor; I found myself relying on soy sauce and wasabi just to make it palatable. For €23, I expect some craft and flavour, well… it lacked both… again!!! All in all, restaurant missed the mark on quality, taste, and service. I can overlook minor faults here and there, but when a restaurant fails so comprehensively on both food and the handling of feedback, it’s hard to justify giving it another chance.

Promising venue and food let down by s-l-o-w service and a kitchen that can’t cope when busy. We arrived as a group of 7 and had great service at the bar as we waited for our table. We were seated at 8.50pm and ordered at 9. Nothing happened until 10pm when some edamame arrived. Water, lost. Wine, slow and had to be chased. Manager (when I complained) nice enough but weak and ineffective. Apologised, said they were rushed. I asked why he hadn’t communicated rather than just hiding. Food when it arrived was very good - worth the higher-than-average price. No adjustment made to the bill. Retired to the bar where once again good service from friendly staff (and a sub-1hr wait for our order!). Summary: good food, nice ambience, rubbish and inept service in the restaurant, good bar.

Extreme waiting time on service. Ordered water but didn’t get it until we asked again. Waited 20 min for bill. Didn’t tip (spent 650 EUR) and explained the waiter why. Ended up paying for missing water 🤷‍♂️

That was a great spontaneous experience that I got Friday night. Was lucky to get there with no reservation. Friendly staff at the bar and amazing view upstairs. Put the credit for future visit, cos you guys canceled the party I’ve expected while I was in Hamburg. See you later.

The location has amazing views from Hamburg, there is also a terrace bar on the upper floor to enjoy them. Regarding food, my expectations were too high I guess. The king Prawns were ok, we also order the truffle pasta which is far away from the quality that I was expecting for such a price and popular restaurant.

A not so pleased experience. While the ambiance was pleasant (which I guess you only paid here for the magnificent view of Hamburg), the exorbitant prices didn't quite match the quality and portion of the food. The Burrata I had was so small for the price they asked. The bread and butter which they also charge you extra is also very few. The desert is the same. The steak (Entrecôte) was really delicious but for the price, really it is too much. To make matters worse, the service was incredibly slow, leaving us waiting for ages between courses.

Good place, the waiter was really kind. We were celebrating birthday so we were treated with respect. The fish option was really delicious. I don’t need to comment the view… it is fantastic.

Great views from the 23rd floor of the Dancing Tower. Meat-oriented menu, decent wine list. The wait for the food was too long though. We enjoyed the sides very much, and the meat (most of us took the Mastercut Ribeye) was good, though I found my rare-medium rare a bit too cooked.

Amazing view, honestly the best place to go for a relaxing evening in Hamburg. The menu is quite pricey but the service, atmosphere and overall quality definitely make the cost worth it. Drinks were good and the complementary popcorn and peanuts delightful. 100% would go again!

Nick, our waiter was extremely courteous and patient with our orders and clicking our pictures. We got a seat by the window and it was the best view that I could have asked for. We were really satisfied with the service and the atmosphere. Will definitely be back again. The pictures don't do justice. They are way better in person. Rain and fog may not give a clear view so check your weather app before reserving.

Food here was great! I got the Hamburg classic traditional pannfisch with spinach and fried potatoes. Pannfisch was 3 different fillets of white fish, each tasting distinctive and very flavorful. The sides were delicious and balanced the dish perfectly. Service was a bit underwhelming. We got seated way in the back and forgotten about, despite the restaurant being only half full. We had two waitresses who didn't really coordinate well so there was too long of a delay in taking our food orders. Otherwise a fine service experience. The interior of the restaurant was very full of character, highlighting the many famous people who visited since 1795. Lots of nautical decorations as well, so it almost feels like the inside of a ship. Recommended.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere — traditional, elegant, and very clean. The pork knuckle and fish dishes are truly delicious. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, treating guests like good friends. I highly recommend this place!

We had our last dinner in Hamburg here, and it was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and supportive. We tried the shrimp soup, which was a perfect starter. The labskaus with matjesfilet was something special—it felt like a symphony of tastes in the mouth. The schnitzel was also quite tasty.

What a great place... good food, nice service. But no wine list ?? And ending up with the " cheapest " wine 45 euro. .. for with the food ? You could see most people went for water or lemonade or beer . I don't see myself going out for dinner.. alone taking a bottle of wine for 46 euro. Very sad

The place is good, but the main problem is that it is unreasonable expensive. Just one Salmon + 2 soft drink costed 45 Euros. The service was not great but acceptable. It worth it to visit once but prepare yourself for the surprising price 😉

The resturant is fancy and respectfully famous. I tried the vegan menu for dinner and unfortunately i saw only 1 option. I took what is available and it is mostly vegetables with rice. Taste is ok., nothing special. One experience is that my overshirt was scratched with 1 heavy plastic bottle pack when employees were moving them through the tight passage behind our chairs, He did not even notice. I had to check it and take it out from where it was.

All around an excellent restaurant! The setting, service, and food were all very high quality. Be warned that portion sizes can be extremely large, especially the pork knuckle! You certainly won't leave hungry. 😋 The location across the road from the church is an extra bonus.

My husband and I were really pleased to find this delightful establishment which overlooks the impressive Elbphilharmonie building. We were greeted warmly by our server, David, who was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a delicious tuna niçoise tartine and a chicken Caesar salad for lunch; perfect sustenance before our 5-hour long tour of Hamburg. We would not hesitate to recommend Carls 😊

A perfect restaurant for both taste, service and view, before-concert. Situated perfectly next to Elbe. I especially liked how they delicately made seemingly ordinary mash potato - good mix of herbs. The sunset picture was taken from the veranda of the concert hall.

Delicious meal for a cold wet evening. I was seated immediately even though I did not have a reservation. The waitress was patient with me and make some recommendations based on my allergies. Excellent smoked trout to start followed by the Perch and i went all in for dessert.. creme brulee and caramel ice cream, cappuccino and Baileys. I definitely recommend this place...has multiple spaces...a bistro, a bar and the brassiere. I recommend eating there if you're in the area.

Excellent restaurant with a very nice outdoor seating area and very friendly (and funny staff). We enjoyed a late afternoon dinner outside and were extremely pleased with the service. We tried fish and steak frites and were more than satisfied with both. Service is prompt and professional and the view of the Elbphilharmonie is magnificent, especially as the sun sets. This is a lively area of Hafencity and we will come back again - especially for the steak frites which was excellent.

Bad service... The waiter took an order: big (!) cup of Capuccino and piece of Pie. In a few minutes his colleague brought us a very small cup of Cappuccino... When we ask about size of cup, she told that this is the only size they have... Further we were waiting for the piece of pie for about 10 minutes more. Until we came inside the café and reminded them about pie. The Cappuccino was already cold and almost run out... Then our pie arrived. It was big , to be honest, too big. What do you think, how must client eat the big pie without ordered Coffee?

Wow! Absolutely amazing! This restaurant is just the best. The staff and service is great, everybody was friendly, helpful, and very willing to chat. The restaurant and outside sitting area was stunning. The food was top notch, the best salmon I have ever had. The other dishes were so delicious. The wine was also great. The desserts were lavish. You most go here if you are willing to spend a little extra for an amazing meal with great service. I would absolutely recommend!! We were 3 America women.

Food was delicious - their foie gras is EXCELLENT as was their salmon appetizer. For dessert, I had the profiteroles. Service was good and the overall ambiance, while good, was missing that typical French flair that I happen to really like when I eat at a bistro.

Classic French bistro serving delicious French food. The service was impeccable, as efficient as friendly, not to mention generous. It has inside and outside seating. We seat inside, which came with French music greatest classics. It’s expensive, but worth it. Recommended!

A very nice dining experience if you enjoy French food. The staff is extremely good, but compared to other French restaurants in Hamburg I rate this restaurant three stars. The interior is quite French, as is the music, and the staff speak mostly French, which is very nice. Safety was okay from A C19 perspective. We had fois gras which was average, snails, also average, ox cheeks which were good, and shrimp with rice which also was good. The menu has a majority of rabbit, kidneys, and liver, so if you enjoy that type of food you may rate the restaurant higher. The wine list is unusually short for a French restaurant but sufficient for the type of dishes served.

SUPER! We were there one night in January and it was packed. We had some champagne, which is super reasonably priced and nice tasting. The three courses were great, and the prawns for the main course we're perfect. To no surprise the dessert was also great. The service in this place is brilliant, always nearby without being in your face at all times. Needless to say that we came back the following night :-)

We had such a great evening at NENI! My husband and I tried the set menu with different dishes and desserts, and everything was delicious. The fish was amazing, the hummus so creamy, and the desserts were really unique and tasty. The fresh flatbreads were also a big highlight for us. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service… we’ll definitely come back🤍✨

Food with a wow effect. We decided to try something different to fish during our trip to Hamburg and visited NENI. The restaurant is downstairs (there is a lift as well) so the entrance was almost hidden - or we were blind from all the sightseeing. It's beautifully decorated and has a welcoming warm feeling to it. Service staff was very friendly and helpful on what to choose from all the possibilities. Best to come with several friends, since this food is made for sharing. The whole experience is different if you try several dishes. Every meal has its own little different flavor world to explore. All in all defenitely worth a visit if you want to try something new. And since there are several NENI restaurants in Europe we will check out other locations as well.

Great location for a relaxed business lunch on a Friday. I had chicken schnitzel and it was delicious. The venue is very playfully decorated, personnel is polite and food arrives timely.

What a fantastic place to be while visiting in Hamburg. Wonderful taste of unique dishes, cozy and quiet atmosohere and great service, topped with fine wine selection. Marinated halibut and poultry consomme were our absoulte best choices, but all other dishes were great as well. If you want to choose one restaurant for a dinner in Hamburg, choose this one!

Service is great but the vibe is a bit too clubby and slick for what I had imagined "Heimat" would be like. Let's start with what was delicious - their bread is amazing as is the dessert I ordered (a chocolate mousse with marinated strawberries). Plus their wine by the glass program is terrific. I was underwhelmed by their wurst salad and their spinach ravioli. Unfortunately, they also have very limited and unappealing outside seating options - opposite the huge Hafen City construction site🫤

The food was simply amazing, very tasteful and well presented. The wine was also tasty, I would have expected more options thought. What could dramatically improved was service, the staff were not friendly and attentive. They seemed just running from here and there and it was pretty hard to have their attention. I’d go back there again and I hope the service will be improved.

A little late, but I have to leave a review, because the food was amazing. The only thing that could have been better was the brightness of the dining area, because it was very dark. But everything else was so good, we really didn't mind. The waiters even ran after us with our Philharmonia tickets that we left at the table. Thank you so much!

We sat outside on a beautiful June day, so I cannot comment on the ambience inside, but I can say that from the outside it looks like everything is done with a loving touch. We had a great experience at this wonderful restaurant serving tasty Hamburg specialties. We ordered a tasting portion of the Labskaus, which is a Hamburg specialty. At first glance, I thought it looked a bit like a beef tartare, so I half expected the meat to be raw. The meat was definitely cooked, and it was very tasty, so much so that we almost regretted not getting the full portion. I also had the Kutterscholle Finkenwerder Art, which is a fried fish dish that is also a Hamburg specialty. It was very unique, although I found it a bit challenging to eat with how many bones there were in the fish. I'm sure this is because I'm not very practiced at eating fish, and not a reflection of their dish. I also loved the boiled potatoes that came as a side. Boiled potatoes are a weird thing to love, but these ones were soft and warm and very well-seasoned. I was also impressed with their house salad, from the variety of veggies to the tasty dressing used. The service was warm, and the restaurant had a nice dining environment. The prices were a bit higher, but given the quality of the food and service and the elevated dining environment, I thought they were quite reasonable. The only complaint I have is I thought the 8.50 euro charge for a bottle of water was a bit pricy. Overall I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for food in Hamburg!

Very good Northern Germany Restaurant if you are after more local specialties. Enjoyed the Labskaus and Matjes. Try the Shiraz from the Pfalz region. Can‘t go wrong with that one. Friendly service and the setting in an old house makes this a great experience.

Italian food "to die for" - that sums it up pretty well, but misses out on complimenting Dustin for his excellent service, great attitude and making everything look easy. He's constantly smiling with his northern, earnest charme he's taking orders, seating customers, calmly answering question and translating the menu, making recommendations all while handling serving orders.

We sat downstairs and was very warm. Food was good but not up with the best Italian we have had. Service felt a bit chaotic. Were friendly enough when engaged but didn't seem organized for table service ie topping up drinks etc. Overall summary good but not great

Service was warm and welcoming and the food was good - menu is a bit limited but the burrata was delicious and the yogurt panna cotta with strawberries was very good. It was a bit rainy so I couldn't sit outside. I imagine on a sunny day, dining outdoors would be sublime.

I don't know what happened with this cafe lately, it used to be a lovely place with a nice staff. Been there last week (as a couple) and got completely ignored by the staff for about 10 minutes while waiting to be seated. They passed around us. No greeting, no "please wait a bit" or anything. It wasn't during busy time, most tables were empty. Tried twice. Went away after 15 Min. waiting. Heard from a friend the same happened to them. I wonder what is wrong? Used to be a nice place.

Wonderful dinner at Wasserschloss in Hamburg! Beautiful historic setting by the canals, lovely fresh fish dishes, and a great selection of wines and teas. Excellent service and cozy atmosphere — perfect place to enjoy fine food in one of Hamburg’s most charming spots.

Tourist Trap Location: It is great with view and calm in the city. Food: We are disappointed with the quality of food, the bakeries are too sweet, and the scones are not fresh, unfortunately nothing special. Tea: The waiter are not able to tell us more about the difference tea in the menu Not Value for money: The small tray in the picture was for three person, cost 77,70 euro. Cleanliness: Food debris on heater/floor It is more a scam for tourist.

We dropped in on a Thursday afternoon for a hot chocolate but the smell from the kitchen made us hungry, so we went for baked feta cheese on cucumber pineapple salad and Kaiserschmarrn. Both dishes were incredibly rich and tasted so good, we wanted to have another one. Simply, the hot chocolate closed our stomachs. The atmosphere is a bit rustique and inspiring at the same time - the floor is made of cobblestones in the basement. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We recommend it not only for tea but you should definitely also have a look into the adjacent tea shop!

We’ve been here several times, and all the time we were seated outside. This time wanted to take our guests for a beer or two. Unfortunately they were serving only inside. Giving 5* because they were nice explaining why they were not serving outside and because of our past experience. It’s really nice and picturesque bar/restaurant. Will try my luck again 😁

A chef restaurant offering a “menu” at a reasonable price, though it is relatively limited. Service is inconsistent and generally quite cold. Some dishes were excellent, but the soup lacked flavor. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, and the place has the feel of an institution. Overall, the service could use improvement, but considering the price, it’s a solid option.

Cafe Gnosa is a brilliant historic gem. A beautiful old cafe that you can instantly feel its popularity simply by the number of locals who frequent it. Super polite, fast and efficient service, with a great range of food to cater for all tastes. The cakes in the display case had me drooling in anticipation and they certainly like to give you a generous slice. I loved and highly recommend this old gem and will definitely return when I’m next in Hamburg.

Service was very ''German'' standard. Not particularly friendly but not particularly rude. But the food was good. It's kinda ''rare'' in Germany to serve temperature-hot food, but the food was very hot, which was excellent. Atmosphere was good, loved the paintings there. Cozy and comfy setting.

Heads up, card payment only 10EURO+. Very nice bakery, cozy atmosphere, the building itself is cool. Coffee was great, I also got a croissant, which wasnt dry at all and not too big! You can also see a free cookie they gave me along with my double espresso.

Customer service has been declining… I always visit this cafe whenever I come to Hamburg but maybe not anymore. They gave me spaghetti instead of penne pasta and when I returned they told me this is all we have. Chairs outside are placed so close a lady hit me with a bag on my head while moving. They didn’t makeup for anything after poor treatment. Spaghetti was dry and tasted stale.

The coffee was good, the tiramisu cake was alright. ▪️The staff is super friendly and sweet! ▪️It's a wonderful place to chill alone or with friend. I would highly recommend visiting the cafe and grabbing a warm cup of coffee on a rainy day 🌦️

My recent visit to Boothaus Hafencity left much to be desired, primarily due to significant service issues that overshadowed an otherwise mediocre meal. To start, I ordered a mocktail but was mistakenly served an alcoholic drink. While the waiter apologized when I pointed this out, and the drink was rectified, no compensation was initially offered. It wasn't until I specifically requested it when the bill arrived that any form of compensation was provided. We also noticed that our server gave a detailed "knife talk" to all other tables, explaining the different steak knives available. However, when our food was served, we were simply given a generic knife and it was just placed on the table, with no explanation whatsoever. Later, our side dishes were also brought out incorrectly, requiring another correction. Finally, when we were ready to pay, the same server spent a good ten minutes chatting with another table, completely ignoring us and another table that was also patiently waiting to settle their bill. These repeated errors in service and a clear lack of attention really detracted from the evening. As for the food, it was just "alright." The steak was nothing special, and I've certainly had better elsewhere. The sides were also uninspiring and didn't elevate the meal in any way. Overall, while the food was acceptable, the poor service was the main issue. The lack of proactive compensation for their mistakes, the unprofessional demeanor of our server, the noticeable disparity in service between our table and others, and the extended wait to pay were particularly frustrating. I wouldn't recommend based on this experience.

We celebrated my son’s birthday here, and I had requested a surprise cake in advance. They brought it out with music at the end, which was such a nice touch. The food was delicious, especially the steaks. Everything was on a high level – thank you so much! We’ll definitely be back.

I dined at this restaurant with a very captivating, modern, and warm atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the combination of flavors, perfect cooking and presentation. The dish was impeccable: monkfish on creamed cabbage garnished with roasted pancetta. The cocktail I ate with it was also excellent.

Great food and a wonderful ambience, right on the harbor. Extensive steak menu, and my spare ribs were very good indeed. The food here is somewhat expensive, but the quality holds up the price quite well.

Very expensive restaurant in the Speicherstadt area near the philharmonic center. They have a beautiful outdoor area as well as a very nice interior. The prizes are really up there though and for that it was only alright. They did not have any kids options and only one vegetarian dish, which was so oversalted that we couldn't only eat half of it. They had a Scholls filet as a special which was a huge portion and was very nice presented. The ribs were tasty as well. Service was friendly but took long in-between as they were very busy as well. Even though it had the nice location, I would probably not go back. Hamburg has better options.

Our dinner at Hobenköök last week came back to my mind. We really enjoyed the new implemented five course menu, the design and wordplay of the new designed menu. From first to last course it was exciting and nothing to cook simply at home. So thank you to the team in the kitchen:) As well we really liked the service and hospitality and would always come back to you:) So if you are looking for an experience, special dining and a great atmosphere: Hobenköök is for you in a very historical place! Unfortunately I just took one picture but better one as none:)

Excellent restaurant in a very interesting building. Despite the market hall feel, they do an amazing job making this cosy and intimate. Food exceptional. Waiter had a great knowledge of their wine list and was super helpful when communicating English. I would visit again without question.

Short circuit cuisine , local produce. Modern sustainable gastronomy. High quality products available in the market. Wine list features some incredible bottles.

A nicely designed market hall with a restaurant that offers excellent dishes, which are also visually appealing. There are seating options both indoors and outdoors. We sat near the wine corner. We were served by the market manager, who was not only extremely friendly but also gave great food and wine recommendations. It was a lovely start to an evening at the theater. We would definitely come again.

Great find in beautiful Hamburg. This is a bit off the beaten path but worth the trek. A restaurant featuring local, natural ingredients. Kind to the environment. The service was super friendly, made us feel at home. The food was delicious and abundant. The trout “chops” with salt baked potatoes and mixed sautéed seasonal vegetables was a perfect balance. The mousse, with cherry compote and crumble was an excellent finish to a very good meal. Also a great place if you’re vegan or vegetarian.

Best meal and dining experience in my two weeks in Hamburg (and I ate out every day). Vibe/ambiance was great, staff was wonderful, and food was superb. I had the octopus appetizer and the cod for my main. Absolutely delicious. But what ended up leaving a very bad taste in my mouth was receiving an email after I left, chiding me for being a no-show. Not only was I there, I was early, I checked in with a waiter and gave him my name and then got thanked for my patronage with this email accusing me of not showing up. Really irked me.

Very welcoming. We arrived after a day of cycling and they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food choice and quality was excellent.

Always a great experience! The ambient and outstanding staff is what sets this place apart from the rest. The food is excellent and everything surrounding the dining experience is outstanding. There isn't much selection in terms of vegan/vegetarian (almost feels like ordering off an expensive child's menu), but if you are into meat or fish - you are definitely in for a treat!!

The food was really nicely cooked, but I wasn't completely wowed by the flavour of my main (Rotbarsch). The small Wintersalat and the ice cream were delicious: 4.5 stars. The service staff were friendly, and the lad who served us was really attentive: 5 stars. The internal decor was tastefully done, and the seating was comfortable. However, the ambience was sadly let down by how cold it was inside: 4 stars. I think it's OK to close both doors or use a curtain to keep the draught out: people know the restaurant is open and will dare to open a second door/curtain. Overall rating of dining experience: 4.5 stars. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.

Nice selection of traditional northern German dishes. I tasted a few of them and each was a little on the salty side but tasty non-the-less. Service was a bit slow and the servers weren't particularly helpful. Prices were reasonable.

This is my new favourite restaurant in Hamburg. The food is excellent and provides everything from rarely seen classics like Labskaus to truffel noodles. And it is suitable for wheelchair users :-)

It's always great eating here. The ambience is nice and they offer an always changing menu. It will never get boring and you can expect a high quality.

Small, quaint cafe primarily serving the Swabian classic spätzle - their version of pasta. Seating for about 30 and the place filled up by 2pm. I had a cheese spätzle with bacon and onions. It came with a small salad as well. Portions are quite big - I have a large appetite and could only finish half of my very hearty dish. Lots of drink options, I had an herbal lemonade called Almdudler that was delicious and refreshing. Service was casual and friendly. No English menu available but servers spoke it just fine. Highly recommended for lunch!

Went early as I didn’t have a reservation and was warmly welcomed. Food arrived a little too quickly and could have been a tiny bit warmer. Generous portion, really friendly service - the kind that just makes everyone feel happy

We only had about 25 minutes for a quick lunch, saw the great reviews and decided to check this place out. Marcus and the staff were so kind and made sure to bring us our food with plenty of time to spare. The food was flavorful and plentiful! Highly recommend!!

My favorite spot in Hamburg, been coming here for nearly 10 years bringing colleagues and business guests. Great swabian food, quick and good service, good prices. It's been getting more popular and space is tight but usually they make it work.

I tried the spätzle here and was pleasantly surprised! The combination of tender spätzle with the peppery arugula and crumbly parmesan was a flavor explosion. And the spätzle with the juicy schnitzel reminded me of home cooking. The nice atmosphere and great service rounded out the positive experience. I recommend it to all spätzle lovers!

I ate here on a workday and I really wanted to enjoy the food, but the woman working there was talking really badly about the different customers eating there. Just little mean comments about their clothes and so on. I didn't catch her talking about me, but I didn't feel good about my experience. Food was good but a bit pricey for the quality delivered.

The place is small and cute. I arrived at 12:15 PM on Thursday, and within an hour, the tiny space was so crowded that while the food was absolutely delicious, the experience wasn't pleasant. Regardless, the lunch bowl and vegan cheese are amazing!

Overall: Cozy and Tasty Vegetarian/Vegan spot but with smaller portions. A warm, welcoming place with a calm vibe. The food was fresh and full of flavor—simple, satisfying vegan dishes done right. Portions were on the smaller side, but everything tasted great. Perfect for a relaxed meal, just don’t come starving! (Else just order more ;))

As vegans, we were happy to find a full vegan place. We ordered the grilled cheese and club sandwiches. They were very tasty, though we would have liked a bit more cheese in the grilled cheese and it would have been much tastier with something a bit sour in the club. The Tonka lemonade was not great but the banana bread for desert was delicious. 😋

Great veggie food in a nice and laid back location. Food is good but portions are not super big and I paid €20 for a bowl and a lemonade, which seemed a bit too high for what you get...

Loved everything about this place, especially the food! Sooooo delicious. I’m not vegan, but I am vegetarian and this was so good. I got one of the bowls and it was light and fresh and healthy. I loved the lentil patty in it. The whole rest of the time we were in Hamburg I wanted to go back and have another meal here because it was just so tasty. This was probably my favorite restaurant of all places we tried while in Hamburg, including much more pricier places.

Cool place with nice vibe. All vegan. They have some cakes and sweets too. Their lemonades are really good.

Had a good club sandwich with pea milk coffee. 💯 Percentage plant based food. Tasty and healthy. I would like to come back for their salad. Lastly they have such nice cakes. Franzbrötchen apple cake 🍰 is awesome. Highly recommended.
