I visited for about an hour. The Monsters of the Abyss exhibit is very interesting and informative. The individual stations are very well made with signage in both English and Spanish. There was a paper passport to stamp at 6 stations. I wasn't ready to see a planetarium show so I visited the activities room. All geared towards younger children, perhaps younger grade school. It was quite busy and full of kids and parents. There's a water fountain and bottle refill station in the activities room and restrooms. I did enjoy watching the metal balls on the wire tracks. I want to say that the men and women who work behind the scenes on the exhibits go above and beyond and do an incredible job searching out and sifting through items and records to showcase history in a clear, honest, and interesting way. They were extremely gracious to the family members and we got a sneak peek of the exhibit. As for the rest of the place, we are going to have to go back to further explore all the treasures. They really showcase Oregon history and I believe they work hard to tell all the stories from many cultures living in our state. They said there is free admittance for Multnomah county residents! The only downside is they are located in downtown Portland and you will need to pay for parking and you may need to walk away. I believe there is a parking structure across the street and that might be a good option for some. It should be easy access for all, they have an elevator that my husband made use of because it is a large multi level place. If you don't know anything about the Japanese American internment camps during WW2, I highly encourage you to check out the Yasui exhibit telling local Japanese American history and highlighting a piece of often overlooked American history. This exhibit will be open for about a year. It is very personal and they got the stories straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.

There was a nice variety of rides which even my short little two-year-old could enjoy. We went on a kids' day where adults are free and you pay for the kids' tickets and they just need an adult on some rides. The staff could use some training so they know how many spots they can fit. The big roller coaster is so smooth and exciting but not painful like some can be. The smller Rollercoaster definitely not the same quality in build. We were surprised about the gocarts. Didn't even notice while planning so it was a perfect surprise. We got the unlimited bracelets with the rollerskating add on. I was very impressed with the rink. Just like the good old days! There is a looong practice area just outside the rink so people can get used to being on wheels. Not a fan of the bumper cars! It's called something else and you are supposed to everyone drive one direction. Like I need to go to an amusement park to experience grid lock traffic in what supposed to be bumper cars. Dumb lol. Over all so great. We will definitely be back

Several bars are in the building. For general admission, as long as you were tall I think it works very well.
