Vizhinjam Beach is a serene and peaceful spot, located alongside the bustling Vizhinjam Harbour. In the evenings, as the sun sets, the sky transforms into a canvas of vibrant hues, creating a picturesque backdrop. Adding to its charm is the famous church, featured in multiple movies, which stands gracefully in the background. During the early mornings and evenings, a wide variety of fresh fish are available in bulk at affordable prices, making it a favorite spot for seafood lovers and local buyers alike.
Diya V — Google review
A rocky beach with large boulders, offering a rugged and tranquil atmosphere. The distant view of the port, combined with a nearby bollard pull test station, adds a unique maritime touch. There's also a mosque close to the viewpoint, enhancing the cultural experience. Occasionally, local policemen visit to educate visitors about the dangers of the deep waters and the importance of staying safe, ensuring everyone enjoys the area without accidents. A great spot for those who appreciate nature, maritime activity, and community care.

Puthenthope Beach, nestled in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is a hidden treasure offering a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. The beach boasts a serene atmosphere with swaying palm trees and golden sands, providing an ideal setting for relaxation. Unlike more commercialized beaches, Puthenthope maintains its natural allure and is frequented by local fishermen, adding to its authentic coastal charm.
Went in afternoon, just a few people was there. It was pretty good view with a line of coconut tree along the side of the beach. You can relax, kill time, take a dip. I visited some beaches after this on the same stretch, everything was more or less similar,

🌅 Puthenthope Beach is a hidden gem! Visited early morning — the peaceful vibe, cool breeze, and sunrise were magical. Had a blast playing football on the soft sand with friends. Clean, calm, and perfect for a refreshing start to the day! ⚽🌊
Sooraj T — Google review
Just a pleasant, less congested beachfront with a few picturesque coconut plantations nearby. Not a tourist destination because there are no other amenities like restaurants or shops. Anyone can come and take in the atmosphere of the sunset without feeling crowded. The locals are really amiable. Most of the time, local fisherman sell us fresh fish. Now one new shop is available named shells.

If you are looking for a peaceful beach this is a place to go in Trivandrum. Nice lush green surroundings with sea view. Ignore the uncles sitting around ,,😁

It is a secluded beach located in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. It is one of the most cleanest beach I've ever seen. It is known for its beautiful sunset and calm atmosphere.

Just an accessible and not so crowded waterfront with some scenic coconut farms around. Not a tourist destination because no other facilities are available like restaurants and other shops,Anyone can come and enjoy the feel Sunset without any crowd crush.People nearby are quite friendly. Most of the time we can buy fresh fish from local fishermen.
BINU L — Google review
Beautiful and peaceful beach unlike other beaches at Trivandrum which are crowded. Scenaries are beautiful with lot of coconut trees infront of the beach. Slightly inside and away from the main road. Since the beach has less movement of people, it is suggested to be careful while entering the beach. No shops will be found. The beach is not shallow and we need to be carefull while stepping in to the beachl. Please note that no lifeguards are available.

Veli Beach, located approximately 10 kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram city center, offers a serene coastal experience with its calm backwaters and floating bridge. The adjacent Veli Tourist Village provides opportunities for pedal boating, kayaking, and other water sports. Visitors can stroll across the suspended bridge, explore parks and gardens, or enjoy a picnic in the beautiful surroundings. This picturesque destination is known for its crystal-clear waters, golden sands, and tranquil Veli Lagoon.
Beach Vibe with nice view of sea and sunset. Not too much crowded as Shangumukham Beach. Prohibited 🚫 after sunset considering safety measures. Park is there nearby. Best times around 4 pm till sunset.
SAMEER K — Google review
A beach is a sandy or pebbly area next to a sea, ocean, or lake. People visit beaches to relax, swim, and play. Beaches often have gentle waves and fresh air. You can collect shells, build sandcastles, or enjoy a walk along the shore. Many beaches also have places to eat and play games. Beaches are great spots to enjoy nature and have fun with family and friends.

Veli Beach is a beautiful and calm spot near Trivandrum, perfect for a quick escape from the city. The beach is clean and not too crowded, which makes it ideal for evening walks and watching the sunset. The golden sand and gentle waves create a really relaxing atmosphere.
Nikita T — Google review
Veli Beach, located about 10 km from the heart of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is a peaceful and scenic destination ideal for a relaxing getaway. Nestled where the Veli Lake meets the Arabian Sea, the beach offers stunning views and a calm atmosphere, far from the crowds of more commercialized spots. It’s part of the Veli Tourist Village, which features attractions like a children’s park, pedal boating, horse riding, landscaped gardens with sculptures, and a floating restaurant—making it especially appealing for families. The area is well-maintained, with a minimal entry fee and activities available daily from morning to evening. Easily accessible by road, rail, or air, Veli Beach is best visited between October and February when the weather is pleasant. With its blend of natural beauty and leisure activities, it provides a serene and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.
Davis A — Google review
generally well-regarded for its scenic views, picnic areas, and boat rides, some visitors note issues with litter and maintenance Veli Beach is known for its golden sands and azure waters, providing a picturesque backdrop for a relaxing day out. The beach is a great place to spend time with family and children, offering activities like boating, a children's play area, and strolls along the lake. Visitors can enjoy boating on the lake, including pedal boats, paddle boats, and speedboats. Veli Beach is relatively close to the International Airport and the city center, making it easily accessible for those looking to spend an evening or a few hours at the beach. And The Floating Restaurant (not truly floating, but on the campus) offers a nice option for snacks and high tea. Some visitors have noted issues with littering by visitors and a lack of maintenance by authorities, impacting the cleanliness of the beach. Veli Beach can get crowded during peak season, which may be a deterrent for some visitors. The sea can be rough, making swimming and playing in the water not ideal.

Veli Beach, located near Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, is a serene and scenic spot where the backwaters meet the Arabian Sea. Known for its clean sands and peaceful atmosphere, it’s an ideal destination for families and nature lovers. The nearby Veli Tourist Village adds to the experience with boating, a floating café, and landscaped gardens. While the beach is usually calm and less commercialized, it can get crowded during weekends. Overall, it’s a great place to relax, enjoy sunsets, and unwind amidst natural beauty.
Aashna S — Google review
recently visited Veli Beach in Thiruvananthapuram, and it was a refreshing experience! The beach has a calm and relaxing vibe, especially during the evening when the sunset paints the sky beautifully. The combination of the sea and the nearby Veli Tourist Village adds to the charm — you can enjoy boating, walk on the floating bridge, and explore the garden area. The beach is clean and not too crowded on weekdays, making it perfect for a peaceful stroll. However, swimming isn’t ideal due to strong waves, and there aren’t many food stalls nearby — so it’s best to carry your own snacks and water. Overall, it’s a great spot to unwind, click pictures, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Kerala coast. 🌅

Unlike other beach resorts in Trivandrum, this resort stands out with its focus on Ayurvedic wellness. Guests can indulge in various Ayurvedic treatments and enjoy the tranquility of the location. The scenery is awesome. Excellent rooms, clean and well maintained. The atmosphere is so comfortable. The food was very tasty. The staff was so courteous and pleasant. Their overall service is excellent. Really a stress relieving place
Keerthana — Google review
I recently stayed a night at Beach and Lake Resort with my wife, and it was a wonderful experience. The room and ambiance were very nice, and the location—right near the beach—made the atmosphere breezy and refreshing throughout. The staff were excellent: very friendly, approachable, and always ready to help at any time. The food was another highlight of our stay. The grilled fish, in particular, was absolutely delicious—the taste still lingers in my mind. What truly made the trip special was the canoe journey. It’s not something you can experience everywhere, and it added a unique charm to our stay. Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing experience. I’d definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with great hospitality, food, and a touch of adventure.
BASIM N — Google review
Strong Points: Excellent service and location. Good quality food. Areas for Improvement (Not Worth the Price): The room quality suggests a recent renovation but is disappointing; a basic shower is missing. Luxury amenities are missing—for instance, no bubble bath for rooms with a tub. The swimming pool was not well-maintained. Breakfast is very limited in variety and lacks any non-vegetarian options, including boiled eggs. Summary: The stay was overall good, but the room, pool, and dining shortcomings mean the hotel does not offer good value for the premium price.

Good place for Ayurveda Rejuvenation treatment Excellent food very nice ambience and beach and lake view.. Staffs are friendly therapist Pushpa is the best her hands were moving like God's hands. With one massage and podikizhi lot of changes I had in my body pains. Will definitely come back for a longer duration treatment and recommend to friends

Came here for a dayout package Excellent location and very good food Friendly staffs ,big swimming pool..good quality top-notch service and care.. Beach was good and very quiet like a private beach we felt.. Will recommend to all my friends who are looking for functions and get togethers
Aurobindo S — Google review
We had the AC superior deluxe room with a gorgeous view of the sea, the pozhikkara beach and the Killi river. The food was above average and service was excellent. The spa treatments were excellent also. The best thing is the serenity and the devoid of any crowd you would see in other beaches. One more thing, though it is not related to the resort but it does concern them, is the amount of trash on the beach and in the river. The river water is disgusting. The path to the solution is so complicated since it means changing the way people live not just here but everywhere.
Anirban — Google review
It was a good experience. Room was clean and well designed, but basic amenities needs to be improved for guests comfort. Location is very good. Food quality is also good but restaurant sitting capacity is very limited.

Niraamaya Retreats Surya Samudra Kovalam is a luxurious resort in Trivandrum, Kerala, offering posh rooms and cottages with customizable designs. Our recent stay at Niraamaya Retreats was absolutely exceptional — the rooms were spotlessly clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained, with one of the most comfortable beds . The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, providing impeccable service that made us feel truly cared for. The central location was perfect, offering easy access to nearby attractions while still being peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommended for a perfect, rejuvenating getaway!

Amazing place to be. The views and landscapes are spectacular. It would be a much visit if the service was better. The staff present were very friendly and ready to assist but they are inadequate for the number of guest they have.

A truly peaceful getaway! The property is surrounded by beautiful views and offers a calm, relaxing environment. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hospitality was excellent. Perfect place to unwind and recharge. Totally worth it!
Gurmeet K — Google review
Amazing location, the views are just breath taking. However this property is screaming of renovation with broken pool deck to broken wheels of the pool loungers. There is somehow a deep shortage of bath towels. Would recommend getting your own. Food is very average and bland. The variety is also not appealing. Overall not worth the money. Better to stay at a more reputed brand when you pay thia kind of money.
Nitin B — Google review
I recently stayed for 5 nights at Niramaya Samudra, Kovalam, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The treatments with Dr. Ajay were excellent, and I am especially grateful to him for his friendly and caring nature, which made me feel completely at ease—as if I were with someone I had known for years. On the dining side, Mr. Samson and Mr. Sanjeev (Chef, from Jammu) went out of their way to prepare dishes according to my preferences. Their team’s enthusiasm and attention to detail made every meal a true delight. I would also like to appreciate Mr. Prem, the chauffeur, who was always available with courteous and timely service whenever needed. My sea-facing room was very comfortable and well-maintained. The resort has a vintage charm, reflecting its long-standing heritage in the region. Guests should come prepared to enjoy this unique character rather than expect modern infrastructure. Yoga & meditation sessions was excellent with yoga master Mr. Unni Luckily my trip was planned on those days so I got the chance to see Onam celebration very closely and chance to have test of “sadhya” dish with test of its authenticity. In every aspect, I left as a fully satisfied guest and would gladly recommend this property.

Our recent stay at "Niraamaya Retreats" was absolutely exceptional. The staff were incredibly warm and provided impeccable service throughout our entire visit. The room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. We especially loved the central location. Highly recommended for a perfect getaway!
Adil A — Google review
Summary up front: We stayed for a week, and leaving felt like saying goodbye to family. Front office staff, restaurant folks, Ayurvedic center team, gardeners, and the resort manager all came together to plant a tree with us (photo below) and then waved until our cab drove out of the gates. That moment sums up the heart of this place. 1. The property (location, rooms, atmosphere) This resort is something else. It sits on slightly elevated land right at the Arabian Sea, built in classical South Indian architecture but with all the modern comforts you’d want. We went in August during the monsoons—lush greenery everywhere, waves crashing just beyond the cottages. Within a day you forget time and place and just melt into nature’s calm. Pure bliss. 2. Food and the team The food is fantastic, but it’s the people who make it special. Everyone is so warm and polite, always going out of their way to make you comfortable. The chefs spoiled us—not just with what was on the menu (which was already excellent), but by cooking up little off-menu dishes for our girls. My wife fell in love with their filter coffee made with jaggery and coconut milk. When we tried and failed to find that jaggery in the local market, the chef actually arranged some and sent a kilo to our room the next day. That’s the level of care here. The resort manager, Ameya, runs the place beautifully—like a homestay that’s cozy and personal, but with the professionalism of a top resort. He’s always around, talking to guests, giving advice, sharing stories. Meals here were a highlight: fresh, tasty, served with love, and often enjoyed with sea breeze (or rain) in the background. Easily some of our best memories. 3. Ayurvedic center & yoga We both did consultations and massages, and the doctors really took their time—listening, explaining, suggesting long-term lifestyle tips. The therapists were excellent too. Honestly, if you’re coming for Ayurveda, stay at least a week (two if you can). Yoga was another gem. Classes moved indoors when it rained, but otherwise they were held by the sea each morning. I skipped (and regret it), but my wife went daily. The instructor, Mr. Unni, is such a gentle, wise soul. He didn’t just teach yoga but shared life stories, tailored advice, and treated each guest like a friend. Final thoughts This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to reconnect with yourself and with nature. If you want to slow down, heal, and recharge, I can’t recommend it enough.

Had a wonderful time at Niramaya Resort during our team trip. The place truly lives up to its name – serene, refreshing, and perfect for unwinding while bonding with colleagues. The resort’s ambience, hospitality, and facilities made our stay both comfortable and memorable. A special thanks to Thankaswami and Samson for making all the arrangements at the restaurant so smooth and enjoyable. The hotel features two restaurants and a cafe where guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast and high tea if staying in the Club Room. Guests praise the spectacular views from the rooms and commend the superb club services provided by attentive staff members.
Easily one of the most picturesque hotels I have been to. Right next to the Arabian sea, the hotel offers awesome views. Premium Seaview Rooms or the Club Rooms have the best views. The property is well maintained with lots of places to take a walk. There are places to sit & enjoy the waves crashing into the beach. A visit to the Tides beach side restaurant is a must. The service is exceptional with staff always smiling & helpful.

Heaven right here at Kovalam! Great property and great view! The pools available for suite residents has amazing view! Buffet breakfast is quite a spread! Our room was right on the cliff, with the sound of waves crashing all night! It was such a soothing lullaby! Good cozy place to read if you are a reader, houses a really good library/reading room. Easy access to beach, property’s pools also have great view during sunset, merging into sea. Highly recommended for a staycation, haven to unwind and relax.

Leela Raviz Kovalam is the best Hill top Property in India (Period) Charles Correa the architect who designed sloping architecture that blends into the landscape this property is a master piece in design it’s magical. The best of the best location, Hospitality and warmth it rewrites what good hospitality is. After a very long time i have experienced such a well trained staff who has a sense of ownership of the brand and always with a welcoming smile. Clearly the team is motivated and they are good in number of staff as the property is very large so they need good amount of staff to maintain it at its best. The Food The Vibe The Location is just dreamy. The GM Mr Ayyappan was present and motivating the staff when they organised the Christmas Plum Cake making in the lobby of the Hotel. Scope of Improvement is the Club Rooms The Club Rooms are too tight for comfort the view is superb but does not appeal to the Guest without space in the room i request the management to surely club 2 rooms in 1 so the guest can enjoy the grandness of this Hotel & its View from the room. The food is top notch and so is this vibe. Special mention of the Master Chef Somnath , Butler Bismi available on What’s App all day long and Leela Taxi Driver Ramesh the Trio was the best. Leela Raviz just stay as you are and improve as i will be back soon, Thank you 🌟

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ms. Sushmita Pal for her exceptional support during our stay — right from a smooth check-in and room upgrade to a seamless check-out experience. She truly made our visit special. A big thank you to the wonderful dining team — Sivani, Sejal, Akhilesh, and Dishant — for their warm hospitality and for serving us such delicious food every day. The variety at both breakfast and dinner was simply outstanding, and we genuinely enjoyed every meal. Special thanks also to Reshma for her kind assistance and ever-smiling presence throughout our stay. The overall vibes of the resort, the beautiful cultural program, and the amazing service made our experience unforgettable. Even our baby had a great time in the play area, enjoying every moment with lots of fun and laughter. Truly, The Leela stands out as one of the best resorts with its unmatched hospitality and attention to detail. Thank you once again to the entire team for making our trip so memorable! Warm regards, Pankaj Kumar & Family

It was a very nice stay and superb hospitality..specifically we were in club room(direct cliff view) so in that they provide butler service and we were allocated Sudheer as butler .he was really great n helping .All staffs are very helping .. plan club rooms for infinity pool access and club cafe restaurant access 👌. In other rooms these are not allowed.club rooms size are somewhat small so that is 1 challenging part ..we took upgrade by paying extra to duplex club room which is superb n very specious..Beach is well connected by buggy. Breakfast is really nice n high tea also good in club cafe .The teress restaurant has somewhat more options for dining with alacart n buffet but privacy is far better in cafe restaurant of club.for kids very less activities. Will definitely try to visit again .

Well the name LEELA RAVIZ sums it up.. It was just an awesome experience right from the moment we entered their property and untill we left. The hospitality and the customer satisfaction were at its premium best. We had booked an sea side villa and while checking in, they had upgraded our stay to the sea view premium villa right in the same campus with awesome room features. The room was spacious and had balcony with sea view. The facilities in the room were top notch at par with the 5 star standards. We had availed the feative getaway package for diwali and had the buffet breakfast dinner as complimentary. I am no one to comment on the food quality and variety at the LEELA.. we were overwhelmed with the vast selection of food options and the quality of the same as well. The best part was for thier staffs who were the real stars and the LEELA grup can be proud that they had invested in selecting the apt staffs who always gave predominant priority to the customers and their needs. The location of the property is something that no one at no other part of the world can ever even imagine to match. You have to feel it to understand it and i am not going to explain it in detail. Over all ... Its our LEELA RAVIZ group and you can select it with your eyes closed. Out family just had the best experience...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A breathtaking getaway at The Leela Raviz Kovalam! Perched on a stunning cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea, this resort is pure magic. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly special — warm smiles, impeccable service, and every little detail taken care of with genuine hospitality. The ocean views are simply mesmerizing — especially from the infinity pool and the sea-view rooms. The private beach is pristine and peaceful, perfect for sunset walks or a quiet swim. The spa and wellness center are world-class, offering a wonderful blend of traditional Ayurvedic treatments and modern luxury. Breakfast was an absolute highlight — an incredible spread with delicious South Indian and international options. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. Overall, The Leela Raviz Kovalam is the perfect mix of elegance, comfort, and Kerala’s natural beauty. Whether you’re here for a romantic escape or a family retreat, this place truly delivers an unforgettable experience. 🌅✨

Experience was average but location is 5/5. Picturesque resort with own beach. Shuttle service is available to reach the ⛱️. Rooms are smaller (premier sea room) and with less height than expected. This hotel will be crowded during holidays. You have to struggle to get table during breakfast and dinner hours. We had some service issues and noise issue at night but resolved by staff. Views from the rooms are wonderful. You get balcony but we had a rain during our stay.

Rarely do I get the opportunity to pamper myself while traveling, especially at airports. I stumbled upon this hidden gem at the far end of the terminal. With a few hours to spare, I opted for a neck and shoulder massage. Ahil, my masseuse, was exceptional, employing the perfect techniques to alleviate tension. His adeptness at identifying pain points and utilizing Ayurvedic methods for relaxation was impressive. I sincerely hope to revisit this place in the future. If you find yourself nearby, don't miss the chance to indulge in this fantastic relaxation massage.

With two inviting outdoor pools and a rejuvenating spa, guests can unwind in style. The resort also boasts a rooftop restaurant where you can savor delicious meals while soaking in breathtaking beach views.
My stay at Hotel Sagara was really good. The location is excellent, just a few steps from the beach. The room was clean and had a nice view of the sea. Staff were polite and helpful throughout. I liked the pool area—it was quiet and relaxing. The food was average, but the overall experience was comfortable and worth it.

People are nice there and bit supportive too. But honestly they need to improve both service timings and food. Since it was resort, located at nice place our expectations were bit more. room condition also needs improvement as water pressure in shower and flush were so slow. amenities too were bit less. Food taste was below average and 1 time we too felt one item stale. I am sure if they improve these few things then this resort will become one stop fun for holidays for many people. But till then i would say its slightly below average.

I stayed at Hotel Sagara for two nights and had a nice experience. The room was spacious and tidy, with a lovely sea view. The staff were courteous and quick to respond. The hotel is very close to the beach, which was super convenient. Overall, it’s a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the coast.

We had a pleasant stay at the property. The rooms are nice, and the location is convenient. Food service was prompt and satisfactory. However, housekeeping services need improvement. We stayed for four days, during which a cyclone occurred, causing some damage. Unfortunately, despite multiple reminders, the basic debris was not cleared. A metal rod even fell onto our balcony from the floor above. While someone did come to remove the rod after we reported it, smaller cement debris was left uncleared throughout our stay

Our family stayed at this property for two nights and we truly had a memorable stay! The property is in a wonderful location, is maintained well and is having a very caring and helpful staff! We are particularly pleased with the care and support received from the Operations Manager Mr. Immanuel during and after our stay! We had left my son's pet toy in the room. Though we contacted only after 5 days of checking out, Mr. Immanuel arranged to courier back the toy!

On the first day we were in room number 1004 which was quite nice room with swimming pool view and partial sea view. Later on next day we were shifted to room number 2007 which was the room on the floor of reception, there was clear Sea view but the room had old bathroom which had dirty wash basin tap. other issues like hot water issue, fan not working. So overall it was ok stay which is not justified for a price of 4000/- per day.
Vandana T — Google review
We stayed for 2 nights. There was a private party near the swimming pool, loud music was played from 7 pm, decibels crossed the danger level, windows vibrated, our peaceful holiday shattered with every beat played by the DJ. Repeated calls to the reception to lower the sound fell on deaf ears( probably already damaged hearing apparatus from high decibels). Please reconsider if you have family with you or you think you deserve peace on a vacation.

Guest Feedback Good morning, My name is Mr. Dujan, and I, along with my wife Ms. Olga Olena, have been staying at this hotel for the past six days in Room No. 318. Whenever we visit Kerala, we always choose to stay at UDS Kovalam because of the warm hospitality, excellent service from the staff and managers, and the beautiful ambience of the hotel. Special mention goes to Mr. Subeesh from the Front Office and Chef Mr. Rajesh for their outstanding service. We were supposed to check out today, 24/09/2025, in the morning. However, last night we ordered the Seafood Platter, and it was simply exceptional. All the dishes were delicious, but the Seafood Platter was by far the best we have ever had in our lives. Because of this wonderful culinary experience, we have decided to extend our stay for another 2 to 3 days. Thank you so much for the hospitality, service, and unforgettable food. Warm regards, Mr. Dujan & Ms. Olga Olena

My stay at Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel was truly delightful. The pleasant environment instantly made the experience relaxing and refreshing. The architecture and design of the building around the swimming pool are beautifully planned, giving the entire place a luxurious yet welcoming charm. The swimming pool itself is stunning—spacious, clean, and perfect for both relaxation and recreation. What makes the experience even more special is the beachside view, which adds a serene and picturesque touch to the stay. Watching the waves while enjoying the comforts of the hotel was simply unforgettable. Overall, this hotel offers the perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and tranquility. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rejuvenating beachside getaway.

Great location with easy access to the beach. Had a couple of issues checking-in that could have been dealt a little better IMO. In-house restaurants and food were great too. Rooms are showing some age but still good. Both spas were clean and well appointed but could use some organization.

Facilities are very much outdated. We checked in to a sea view room and had to ask for a different room due to a bathroom smell and outdated room. Got the partial sea view room but never got any refund. Bathroom still outdated . Toilet seat not stable and the flooring so slippery. TV sound is not good. Had to shut it off. Only good thing is very close to beach and the staff is very helpful and eager to help but they can only help so much. We will not be coming back to this place.

We had the chance to experience a food festival (Shappile Ruchi) while we were there. This brought back so much memories with beautiful songs playing and traditional shaapu food available. The whole team were amazing. Thank you for providing us a wonderful stay and a great time. Highly recommend Uday Suites during your Trivandrum visit.

Great place for a family / friends get-together. The staff were so courteous and were attentive all the time. We had a cake cutting ceremony for our young kid and they arranged the cake for a cost. The cakes were yummy. We went there for a buffet dinner, and it was decently priced (Ra.899 + GST). They had 8 veg dishes and 4 non-veg dishes + 5-6 types of deserts. The Restaurant Manager Abin was so courteous and polite and made all arrangements for us over a phone call. Great service!

The service was polite and attentive, adding to the overall experience. A perfect spot for anyone who loves good food in a serene, calm setting. Highly recommended!

I stayed there for 22 days , the rooms are average needs lot of maintenance, linen is very ordinary so is the bed and furnitures. The location and the Name Garden hotel with a big pool is the only positive. The real issue with this property is they have outdoor events near to the pool, they have events ( weddings, engagments , get togethers , corporate events ) every other day, they put up loud speakers , play high volume music, which goes from morning to night, we just coudnt sleep in the room. Weekends they rent the facility for groups to enjoy the pool and they make so much noise. The room is zero % sound proof. Despite many requests and complaints to the General Manager and the Managers they just turned a blind eye. I have never seen any hotel management who respond like this to the guests, we had taken 15 rooms for 22 days, I also saw other guests and Airline cabin crew making the complaint. They dont even apologise or make any effort to reduce the volume. The swimming pool has no rules and regulations, No shower is mandatory and people jump in with full clothes on. If you want to have a peaceful stay I will never recommend this hotel.

The Travancore Heritage Beach Resort offers an exceptional vacation experience, surrounded by lush greenery and stunning beach views. The elegant resort features chic interiors, comfortable rooms with modern amenities, and three restaurants. Guests can also enjoy the outdoor pool and Ayurveda center. The property is wheelchair accessible and offers free WiFi, parking, and an airport shuttle service. It's a great choice for families or anyone seeking a luxurious beach retreat in Trivandrum.
We stayed in the Heritage Home type accommodation, which was spacious and featured a traditional Kerala-style sit-out area. On request, a baby crib was provided for us. There's a private gate to the beach that's open from 7 AM to 7 PM, and guests staying at the resort can use the beach benches. The beach is easily walkable from the rooms, though you have to climb down few stairs and the distance varies depending on where your room is located. The overall ambiance was peaceful and quiet, with the soothing sound of waves in the background. The restaurant food was delicious, and the staff were especially kind and helpful. They even helped keep our babies engaged while we ate, which made a big difference. We were pleasantly surprised to find a cradle in the restaurant as well. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable stay!

Beautiful Stay with a Few Service Hiccups I booked the Sea View Premium Heritage Room, which clearly mentioned a sea view on the booking page. However, upon arrival, I was given a room completely surrounded by other rooms, with no sight of the beach at all. After nearly 45 minutes of being moved around to different rooms, I was finally allotted one with a proper sea view, spacious and truly beautiful. The rooms themselves are stunning, reflecting heritage design and comfort. The location is excellent, which definitely adds to the charm of the stay. That said, the service could be improved. It would have been better if the room arrangements were sorted out before guests arrived, rather than having to go through multiple changes. On a positive note, the staff were very welcoming and polite, which made the experience pleasant overall. Despite the initial hiccups, I did enjoy my stay and appreciate the hospitality. Thank you!

Really loved the atmosphere and the way the place has been maintained — the facilities are amazing! It has a charming vintage-classic vibe, and the moment you step inside the resort, you truly feel isolated from the city noise and hustle. The reception and hospitality were highly commendable; the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

The hotel is beautiful, by the beach, 2 pools. The staff team are super friendly and not matter what is the issue you have, they will always go an extra mile to help you. The hotel is great the staff even better, but the only downside for me was to find out when I was leaving, their taxi price was MORE than triple I would pay an Uber, but been told Ubers can't enter the road or hotel, they are not allowed, which is NOT really truth, since Uber dropped me there, so Ubers are allowed to drop guests but not pick up. I'm a paying guest, it is not the hotel's concerning how I move around, by auto tuktuk or uber. I am not obliged to use their taxis specially at the ridiculous rate they charge. Worse of all I was made walk outside with my big luggage on the road to be able to meet my uber driver! Seriously? I ve been coming to India for over 15 years stayed in all sort of stars hotel from 1 to 5 and it NEVER EVER happened to me! Neither in India or anywhere in the world I travelled, I ve been to over 30 countries. For me this is completely out of order that or you use their taxis or you walk out with your luggage on street, plus this is not the main road. At this point really wasn't for the money but I don't like, actually HATE to feel coerced to do something, thats out of order and should be against the law. They told me its the taxi union that doesn't allow uber there, in that road, but to drop guests is ok? That's just not right.

Nice place with a reasonable day-out package. The highlight was definitely the buffet—it was amazing, with many varieties and great taste. A special thanks to the restaurant manager Mr.Vishnu, who coordinated everything perfectly from start to finish. We had taken an extra room and paid for it, but there was an issue with the bathroom which took a long time to resolve. When I informed Vishnu, he waived the full amount for that room, which I truly appreciate. The only downside I noticed was the receptionist who showed us the room; she seemed uninterested in explaining anything and carried a gloomy attitude.

Hi, I booked a private room here on July 10th, expecting it to look like the photos. When I arrived, I was completely shocked — the place looked nothing like what was shown online. First of all, the staff were extremely unprofessional, especially the receptionist, who didn’t even know how to greet guests or offer a simple smile. Despite this, we decided to continue, hoping at least the room would be decent. But as soon as we entered the complex, there was a horrible smell everywhere, and we saw cockroaches. The lift also had a terrible odor. Our room was on the third floor, and the entire building reeked. Once inside the room, it was even worse: the walls were full of stains, and we found bedbugs and spiders on the bed. After just five minutes, our skin started to itch badly. The TV didn’t work, and even after informing the staff, nothing was done. The staff clearly had no idea how to handle basic issues. For the price of ₹4,500, this was a complete waste. No basic amenities were provided, and everything looked extremely cheap and poorly maintained. We raised the issue with the staff and informed them that we would file a police complaint. Only after this, they agreed to refund the full amount. Overall, I would rate this place 0/10. I strongly recommend avoiding it. Instead, choose another hotel at a similar price, or spend a bit more to save yourself the trouble and the doctor’s bill for your skin! Cheers 🥂

Great view and service. Me and my family stayed two days there with peace calm and quite atmosphere. Lovely landscape and beach front balcony gives much relaxing in the evening. Good service. We got nice view rooms with clean and neat. I will visit again this resort. 👍👍👍

Somapalmshore is a very good holiday resort. Very friendly staff. I stayed there two days ago. The food was very good in quantity and taste. I enjoyed the pool a lot. The reception staff were all very positive and helped us with everything we needed. I will definitely come back to celebrate my holiday there again.😊🥰

Amazing resort with private beach access. Pros: The rooms are sea facing with balcony and adequately spacious. Family friendly. Continental breakfast. Cons: No lift. They denied us 1 hour late check-out also even though rooms were empty.
Pavankumar K — Google review
We visited this resort on 27th September with a group booking of 6 rooms. The booking process was okay, nothing great, but we were excited about the stay. On arrival, the hospitality at reception was decent and the rooms were really clean and well-maintained, which gave us a good first impression. From check-in till late night, we had a good time. The swimming pool was nice, but here’s where the problems started. We arrived late around 6:30 pm and requested an extension to use the pool till 8 pm. Initially, they said no since the pool closes at 7:30 pm, but after a long discussion, they "agreed" for 7:45 pm. Sadly, this was just empty words — because when we tried to enjoy the pool beyond 7:30, they flatly denied access. Giving a false promise to guests is simply unacceptable. Later, when we settled into our rooms, one of the rooms didn’t even have drinking water. When we asked for it, instead of providing sealed bottles, the staff sent an old 5-litre plastic can as if it was a hostel, not a resort. Thankfully, we managed by sharing bottles from other rooms, but that’s not the standard you expect. Morning came, and again — disappointment. They had said the pool opens at 7:30 am, but it didn’t. So, we went to the beach area which looked like it was “part” of the resort, but it was neither neat nor properly maintained. Breakfast was another mess — no one informed us that it was complimentary until we were already eating. Poor communication, poor service. The real embarrassment came during checkout. They collected our IDs at the time of leaving (strange practice!) and then sent staff to "check" the rooms as if we were school children leaving a hostel dorm. A few of us were the last to leave, and suddenly, they accused us of a missing tray and water bottle. We were shocked. They made us go back to the room and check with them — is this how a “resort” treats its guests? We found the tray, but the water bottle became an argument. I explained clearly that our room never had a bottle, and I had borrowed one from another room the previous night after informing reception. Still, the staff refused to listen. The housekeeping lady even lied in front of us saying she had kept bottles in every room, which was untrue. Instead of accepting their mistake, they blamed us and demanded payment. In a hurry, we paid just to get out, not because we broke or lost anything. This kind of behavior is simply shameful. It shows how uncapable staff with no accountability can ruin the reputation of an otherwise good property. The management seemed decent, the rooms were nice, but the customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. No respect, no professionalism, and absolutely no responsibility from the staff. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely not. I would never return to a resort where the staff makes guests feel like thieves instead of valued customers. Management needs to take serious action against such employees, otherwise the name of this resort will keep sinking. In short: Good rooms, good property. Worst staff, ruined experience.

This is a beautiful, luxurious resort hotel with a great beach and amazing views of the ocean. It has 2 restaurants and room service during limited hours. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the facilities are top-notch. There's also an ayurvedic spa on site, making it the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate after a busy day.
A spacious, private resort, easily accessible and very close to the beach. Rooms are well maintained, and the property and the pool are large enough to host parties for bigger than average groups. Breakfast was moderate, and we had to wait a bit for drinking water, but other than that, we faced no hiccups and had a fun evening

The worst hotel ever we stayed. Giving that 1 start as there is no option for 0. But it is a “0” rated stay. Only outside look is there. Once you enter into the hotel you will regret for sure in each and every step. Don’t get confused by seeing positive reviews. Their own people can put a review once in a while to convince people. Stinky smell through out the room, washroom, no proper washrooms, no hot water properly, food don’t even expect, maintenance too worst, irresponsible staff. Pool is in worst condition. Displaying the old edited pics in google.

The location of this beach resort is absolutely stunning — better than many popular resorts, with a peaceful atmosphere away from city traffic. It has a large open area near the beach, perfect for parties and gatherings. However, the property and swimming pool are not well maintained, and food needs to be ordered in advance. Despite these issues, the breathtaking location makes up for everything and offers a relaxing, scenic getaway.
VINODKUMAR R — Google review
It is a beach side property having Direct access to the beach privately. Beautiful beach. Not crowded. Nobody will be there night and day. Can see few fishing boats. Very good property. Room are a bit old but they are mainly focusing Ayurveda treatment guests there. There is not much option for a regular guests or for tourist. But the experience of the beach is truly wonderful. Food is also good.

I recently stayed at Palm Leaves Beach Resort and had a very unpleasant experience. First and foremost, the owner’s behavior was extremely rude and unhelpful. From the start, there was no hospitality or proper assistance. The swimming pool was completely dry, with no water, and there was no lighting around the pool area, making it unsafe and unusable, especially at night. Even worse, no staff was available when we needed help ,not even a single person around for support. Another major safety concern was that street dogs could freely enter the resort premises, making it feel very unsafe, especially for families or children. During a power outage, there was no backup generator, and when we called the owner for help, they simply said, “Power has gone, we can't do anything,” and showed no concern. We were left to sit in the dark, relying only on the flashlight from our phones. Extremely unprofessional and careless response. We had paid the full amount in advance, and unfortunately, that was a big mistake. With such poor service, zero responsibility, and unsafe conditions, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Please avoid this resortfor a peaceful or happy stay

Had a very bad experience when we stayed there during August, the property is supposed to be good but due to poor maintenance it is really bad. There is a seating area near the beach which did not have lights and it was totally dark later they fixed 1 light and the property owner/manager did not respond or picked the call!!! The complimentary breakfast was not available until 10.15 am and we had to go out for breakfast.

I would like to thank Mathew, for being absolutely helpful to organize my wedding at his place. The resort is situated in a calm and quite location and there is a stage facing sea which is very picturesque. All in all, highly recommended if you are looking for something out of the box.

Hawa Beach, also known as Eve's Beach, is a serene and clean coastline along the Arabian Sea in Kovalam, Kerala. It is a popular destination for beach enthusiasts with its variety of seafood restaurants, gift shops, and clothing stores. The beach offers stunning views of the sea from the lighthouse and is an ideal spot to enjoy beautiful sunsets.
Hawa Beach is a peaceful and scenic spot in Kovalam. It’s less crowded than the main beach, making it great for a quiet walk or to watch the sunset. You’ll find fishermen at work and a few local shops nearby. The beach is clean, but swimming might be restricted due to strong waves. A nice place to relax and enjoy the sea breeze. Let me know if you'd like this in Malayalam or want to mention any specific experiences!

Hawa Beach in Kovalam is a perfect spot to chill with friends and family. The views are stunning and the atmosphere is so peaceful. Loved spending time here — it's clean, calm, and ideal for relaxing. The para sailing experience was the best! 😍 Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area.

Such a calm and refreshing place to just breathe and be. Hawa Beach felt like a hidden escape — less crowded, more peaceful, and full of natural beauty. I loved walking barefoot on the soft sand, listening to the waves, and watching the fishermen at work in the distance. The breeze was so soothing, and the whole vibe was unhurried and peaceful. If you’re someone who loves quiet moments by the sea, this place will stay in your heart.😇😍

Absolutely loved staying here. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room is large and comfortable. The balcony is also large and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the spectacular view. We ordered the omelet, toast and coffee breakfast and it tasted very good. The coffee is surprisingly good and we had it in the evening as well. It's a short walk to the busy beach area with many restaurants and stores. Highly recommend

Great place. Had a room on the top floor. Room is small but the balcony and view is worth the trade off 😊 Staff is attentive and they made a great recommendation for surfing… I had a super fun surf lesson with Akhil from Kovam Surf place. Hotel does not have a restaurant but there are many options within minutes walk including a German bakery with non spicy food options 😊 The only feedback I gave them was to push for something to be done by the local govt to clean up the garbage at the beach entrances. With all the hotels in that area, something should be done. I hope to see a change when I return.🙏🏽

We chose this hotel primarily for its advertised sea view rooms. However, these are only available on the third floor. While the room itself and the view are impressive, we encountered significant hygiene concerns. The hotel might not be ideal for elderly guests due to the lack of a lift and its location, which requires a 6-7 minute walk from the nearest accessible point. Additionally, the hotel doesn't have any on-site parking, so guests will need to park some distance away. I am giving 3 stars because of the politeness of the owner. He is trying his best but needs lot of improvement. The ground floor has no AC and this information is not available on the booking site as well.
Anshika T — Google review
Thankfully we stayed here only for a night. The toilet seat was broken and poop scattered around. When we complained, they asked us to check into another hotel instead. Very rude owner. All the towels were yellow stained. Dust on objects. Only the location is good. Rest everything is messed up. Reception was unmanned for most of the time and we also had to ask for bottled water. The response from the hotel staff was very crude and uncouth. The hotel is simply charging too much money and not worth the stay. THEY ARE MANIPULATING THE TRAVELERS ONLY ON THE BASIS OF LOCATION. Stay at your own risk!

A room with a view and space to move. We really loved this apartment overlooking the beach. Great value for money and good service and communications. Our host was super helpful with restaurant recommendations and transport. Thank you kindly. A mosquito net was missing from one bed was the only compliant.

A comfortable stay right by the beach. The sea view rooms offer mesmerizing view of the sea right from the room. There is no parking available and if we park in a parking ground nearby, would have to walk about 5min through the narrow corridor which is quite nice for a experience. The Lighthouse beach is right next to the rooms.
Manu J — Google review
The only good thing about the place was the owner. He was very helpful everything else was terrible. Bathrooms didn't have locks, the ground floor room didn't have ACs. The place is very far from the parking lot so you have to walk a lot to reach the hotel. The rooms were dirty, the sheets, the towels all dirty.

Before booking we asked the host about barbeque facility he said u can do it after booking done we asked the caretaker about that he said it is not possible as some problem is there and locals issue. Host should be knowing all these things. And the TV which is there is older than my grandfather. Overall bad management that's all.

The owner, Mr. Ranjith, ensures that guests feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay. The accommodation itself is elegant, clean, and safe for women travelers.
Had a great experience in Stay@home with my family of 8 members. Rooms are very clean and well maintained, also it's looks exactly as in the image. Thanks to Renjith who takes care with great hospitality and helped us with smooth checkin even in early morning. Highly recommended home stay if anyone planning to visit trivandrum with family of 6 to 8 persons.

Dear fellow travelers, I recently had the pleasure of staying at Renjith's property and wanted to share my experience with you. First of all, I must say that Renjith is an excellent host who always checked in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The house itself is quite old, but Renjith has done a fantastic job of maintaining it and providing all the necessary facilities. The bedrooms are on the small side, but they are comfortable and functional. The location of the house is also great, as it is accessible to all the major attractions and not too far from the city center. The road leading to the property is big enough and not congested, making it easy to get in and out. All the amenities in the house were in good working order and served our purpose well. The only issue we had was with the air conditioning, which was of poor quality and didn't cool the room as well as we would have liked. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. Renjith is truly a superhost and deserves all the kudos he can get. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This accommodation is fantastic. I stayed at the Vila for 3 days and I couldn’t have wished for a better stay in Trivandrum. The property is absolutely stunning. Wonderful gardens, interior courtyards and impecable rooms. In addition, one of the most valuable things of Ambika vilas is the service. Aravind, Vishnu and Achu will provide you with personalized attention and service. Always adapting to your needs and wants. In particular, the food prepared by Vishnu was delicious, one of the best I had in town. We family loved it with my pet we stay on April 22 2025 it's a nice room near the beach very neat and calm but only a drawback the food in this restaurant is too high anyhow this is a tourist place so it's high .,but the working staff all very kind.
Sharmie M — Google review
Very bad service and staff behavior. They don't let you order food the in house restaurant is always out of service. Location is good but services are awful. I stayed with my aged parents but they refused to provide food from the restaurant asked us to go outside and have food from outside restaurants as the reasons best known to them. They also have a restaurant sitting area having sea view but they refused to serve their and asked us to sit in a shady place just outside their kitchen as a lady staff refused to serve us by climbing stairs.

Rooms are not like a 3 star hotel missing few amenities No TV, No electric kettle, supplied water in the rooms is not good, rooms are old with old furniture, toilet not clean, food is so smelly. Maybe I am a north indian, and some different oil is used in cooking in kerala. People/staff even don't greet with smile and even food is served without any smile There is a smell of fishes in the area which makes me so uncomfortable that even I couldn't eat any of my meals. The only thing I liked was the sea view and swimming pool, the hotel is actually just at the beach which I enjoyed.
Kapil K — Google review
It's worthless. Poor beding, filthy toilets, no TV and old rooms.

Excellent location. Nestled within coconut trees, the place has glorious views of the ocean. Rooms are ok - nothing to write much about. Food choices are limited with only one restaurant and no other close by place to eat. But food quality is good. They make very nice fish moily and mutton khurma. Getting liquor is a big problem - they don't have a bar. Getting there may be difficult as the resort is located in a place called Mulloor.

Outdoor Activities
Shangumugham Beach, located near the city airport, is a stunning destination with clear waters and pristine white sand. It is celebrated for its unspoiled beauty and cleanliness, making it one of the most picturesque spots in the area. This popular beach attracts both locals and tourists who come to relax and admire the serene atmosphere along the Arabian Sea. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking sunsets, indulge in beach activities like kite flying, and savor local street food from nearby stalls.
I visited Shangumugham beach in the early morning for a walk. It was beautiful to enjoy the sea shore. The sound of waves, cool breeze and less crowded in the early morning felt amazing. You can enjoy great views of sea shore on both the sides. It's a long coastal area. It's a tourist attraction that needs a lot of improvement. The beach is very dirty. The walkway is also not built and maintained properly. The entire area needs to be cleaned properly. There is a lot of scope for this place to become a hot tourist spot.
Vaibhav J — Google review
A peaceful beach to enjoy the sunset. The view is really beautiful, especially in the evening. There’s a big mermaid statue and plenty of space to walk or relax. Some areas need a bit of cleaning, but overall it’s a nice spot to chill with friends or family. Close to the airport too. 🌊🌅

It's beauty can just define by words just go experience it . It's the most attractive and a must visit place in trivandrum. Beach is clean and eco Friendly. There are safety Guards, proper parking space is available and there is a security to help us ...... The parking fees is just ₹20 and there is no time limit for parking
Alby — Google review
Shangumugham Beach offers a peaceful coastal escape just minutes from Trivandrum city and the airport. It’s a great spot for an evening stroll or to catch a stunning sunset by the waves. The beach is known for its unique attractions — the massive mermaid sculpture and an old helicopter installation — which make it a popular photo stop for visitors. While the natural beauty and iconic landmarks draw crowds, especially on weekends, the beach does face issues with cleanliness and maintenance. Litter on the shore and a generally neglected feel take away from the overall charm. With better upkeep, this spot could truly shine as one of the must-visit urban beaches in Kerala.
Jishnunath P — Google review
Shangumugham Beach has this calm, old-school charm that makes it different from the usual crowded beaches. I’ve come here often, and every visit feels a bit nostalgic the salty breeze, the sound of the waves crashing, and the sight of the sun slowly setting over the horizon. It’s one of those places where you can just sit on the sand, zone out, and forget about everything for a while. The beach could definitely be cleaner, but if you look past that, it’s a peaceful spot to unwind. The area around has some really nice restaurants and local food stalls — perfect for grabbing tea, snacks, or seafood after a walk along the shore. There’s something special about how time seems to slow down here, even with a few flaws, Shangumugham still has that quiet magic that makes you want to come back.
Stoicrust — Google review
Shanmugam Beach is a peaceful spot with lovely sea views and cool evening breeze. The walkway is clean and great for a relaxed stroll. A nice place to unwind and watch the sunset.
Sandeep K — Google review
Nice sunset spot with a calm atmosphere. Could be cleaner, but worth a visit for the view! Nice and peaceful beach near Thiruvananthapuram city. Shangumugham Beach is a great place to relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets. The beach is long and open, not too commercial, and gives a calm local vibe. The big Mermaid (Matsya Kanyaka) statue is an interesting landmark for photos. Swimming isn’t safe due to strong currents, but it’s perfect for evening walks and enjoying the cool breeze. Overall, a good spot to unwind and watch the sunset if you’re in or around Trivandrum. 🌅
Pranav J — Google review
Shangumugham Beach, once a bustling, sandy escape, now stands as a stark reminder of Kerala’s changing coastline. It’s especially crowded on Sundays—but much of the original beach, along with pathways and benches, has been swallowed by relentless sea erosion in recent years. With new coastal projects like Adani’s underway, the landscape here is set to transform even more dramatically in the next decade, making today’s sunsets at the shore unique and precious moments. So, visit soon: soak in the vibrant sunset, tread carefully around the water, and make the most of what’s left of this Thiruvananthapuram icon before it changes forever. PRO tip—skip the pista flavor at the Amul shop on the premises! A piece of advice for fellow travelers: cherish this living memory while you can, as Shangumugham Beach is on the brink of becoming part of Kerala’s coastal history.

Azhimala Shiva Temple, located near Kovalam in Kerala, is a breathtaking spiritual destination that beautifully blends devotion with scenic beauty. Nestled atop a cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea, the temple offers a mesmerizing view, especially during sunrise and sunset. The towering 58-ft Shiva statue, intricately carved and exuding divine energy, is the main highlight. The craftsmanship and detailing in the statue make it a marvel to behold. The serene ambiance, coupled with the soothing sea breeze, creates a perfect setting for meditation and reflection. The temple premises are well-maintained, and the surrounding greenery adds to its charm. Visitors can also enjoy the nearby Azhimala Beach, known for its rugged coastline and stunning waves. Whether you seek spiritual solace or simply want to admire the architectural wonder, Azhimala Temple is a must-visit. Azhimala Shiva Temple, located in the coastal village of Azhimala near Kovalam in Kerala, is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Perched on a rocky cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea, the temple is famous for its breathtaking ocean views and serene ambiance. The highlight of the temple is the massive 58-foot-tall statue of Lord Shiva, one of the tallest in South India. This intricately sculpted statue, depicting Shiva in a meditative yet fierce posture with flowing hair, has become a major attraction for devotees and tourists alike. The temple's name, "Azhimala," means "mountain by the sea," aptly describing its stunning location. Devotees flock to the temple, especially on Mondays and during Maha Shivaratri, to seek blessings and witness the spiritual grandeur of the place. Just below the temple lies Azhimala Beach, a pristine and lesser-known coastal paradise. The beach is famous for its golden sands, rocky outcrops, and mesmerizing sunsets. Unlike the more commercialized beaches in Kerala, Azhimala Beach retains a peaceful and untouched charm, making it perfect for relaxation and photography. Together, Azhimala Shiva Temple and Beach offer a unique blend of spirituality and natural beauty, making it a must-visit destination in Kerala.

A pristine beach largely undiscovered offers a unique opportunity to experience the natural beauty and serenity of a secluded coastal paradise. It boasts unspoiled landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and soft, powdery sand, creating a picture-perfect setting for relaxation, recreation, and exploration. With fewer crowds and less commercialization, visitors to undiscovered beaches can enjoy personalized experiences, whether it's a romantic sunset picnic, a solitary sunrise yoga session, or a leisurely stroll along the shoreline. By remaining largely undiscovered, these beaches are often spared from the negative impacts of mass tourism, providing an opportunity for their natural ecosystems to thrive and for conservation efforts to succeed.
